Antifa Mobster Arrested for Allegedly Taking Part in the Assault of Two Marines Was a Go-To Democrat Activist

He’s a fanatic radical who once called for killing the rich

Joseph “Jose” Alcoff (also known as “Chepe”) was one of three Antifa mobsters arrested and charged for allegedly committing aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation against two US MarinesBefore his arrest, Alcoff was a well-connected left-wing activist with political connections in both chambers of Congress.

https://video.foxnews.com/v/video-embed.html?video_id=5980513761001&loc=legalinsurrection.com&ref=https%3A%2F%2Flegalinsurrection.com%2F2019%2F02%2Fantifa-mobster-arrested-for-allegedly-taking-part-in-the-assault-of-two-marines-was-a-go-to-democrat-activist%2F&_xcf=

Fox News reports:

But while Democratic officials are distancing themselves from Alcoff now, until recently he was a well-connected, aspiring political player in Washington who may have even had a hand in key policy proposals.

His endorsement apparently mattered when several congressional Democrats in February 2018 issued press releases with his quote backing their bill on regulating payday lenders.

As the payday campaign manager for the liberal group Americans for Financial Reform, Alcoff participated in congressional Democratic press conferences, was a guest on a House Democratic podcast and met with senior officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2016 through 2018.

He was also pictured with now-House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., and ranking Democrat on the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio. Both committees oversee financial regulatory policies Alcoff was advocating.

Alcoff met with then CFPB Director Richard Cordray and other senior CFPB officials on April 2016, again in March 2017 and a third time in May 2017, as first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

During this time, he reportedly was an Antifa leader in Washington.

Alcoff’s former employer had little to say about the matter.

“As of December, Mr. Alcoff no longer works for AFR,” Carter Dougherty, spokesman for Americans for Financial Reform, told Fox News in an email.

Dougherty didn’t answer whether Alcoff had been fired or resigned. He also didn’t answer whether the organization was aware of Alcoff’s associations during his employment.

The reader may remember the CFPB is Sen. Warren’s pet project.

According to a December report by Andrew Kerr of The Daily Caller, Alcoff used a number of aliases, one of which called for killing the rich.

Using the alias Jose Martin, Alcoff organized with Smash Racism DC, the group responsible for protesting outside of Fox News host Tucker Carlton’s home and for heckling Sen. Ted Cruz out of a restaurant.

It’s SNOWING In Hawaii: Someone Tell Al Gore & Occasional-Cortex

Written by Wes Walker on February 12, 2019

You just KNOW some poor SOB just dropped a chunk of change trying to run away from the Polar Vortex back home, just to find THIS waiting for him in ‘paradise’. Sometimes you just want to get away from it all. And then you find ‘it all’ followed you anyway.

A record-breaking storm hit Hawaii. You know, the kind of event that is either:

(a) just a weather event you moron, and not evidence of Climate change, or else it’s

(b) proof positive that Climate change is real and we need to rescue Mother Gaia from danger!

… (that difference depends on whether that ‘event’ fits your models or not.)

For all of that, some things just don’t change.

The kids, for example, are loving it.

Blizzard in Hawaii, days after the New Green Deal… just hilarious.

It’s almost as if nature itself is mocking their ambitious plans.

It reminds us of how — for a while — it seemed like every time Al Gore showed his face for some big event to stop Global Warming (as they were still called at the time), he was greeted with a blizzard.

Hawaii has a record storm — with snow — on the week that AOC drops her Climate rescue.

Nearly 2 Weeks After Alleged Hate Crime, Smollett Hands Over ‘Limited And Redacted’ Phone Records

While he did provide them Monday, the records were “limited and redacted,” according to WLS.

“We are very appreciative of the victim’s cooperation. However, the records provided do not meet the burden for a criminal investigation as they were limited and heavily redacted. Detectives may be following up with him to request additional data to corroborate the investigative timeline,” police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said, calling the redactions “extreme.”

Police are likely to require more information from Smollett, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Smollett, who is black and openly gay, said the two men shouted racist and homophobic slurs at the actor, before they put a noose around his neck and doused him with a chemical. Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. Smollett also claimed the attackers referenced Trump’s MAGA slogan.

Police said standard investigatory procedure requires independent verification of the phone call that allegedly took place during the attack.

“We have no reason to doubt the statements, but for a criminal investigation, we need to independently confirm the phone records,” Guglielmi said.

Police said they have examined surveillance cameras in the area of the alleged attack, but have yet to see any evidence that what Smollett described took place. However, the cameras did not record every part of Smollett’s walk through the neighborhood where he was attacked.

Smollett’s spokesperson said the actor was the victim in the incident and should be treated as such.

“Chicago PD has repeatedly informed us that they find Jussie’s account of what happened that night consistent and credible,” the spokesperson’s statement read.

“Superintendent Johnson has been clear from day one that Jussie is a victim. We are continuing to work closely with the Chicago PD and remain confident that they will find Jussie’s attackers and bring them to justice.”

Joy Villa Issues Fiery Response After Being Attacked over Pro-Trump Grammys Wardrobe

Singer Joy Villa showed up to the 2019 Grammys sporting a powerful political message through her attire, doing exactly what Joy Behar wants her musicians to be doing during award shows. Only, something tells me that the notoriously leftist loon Behar probably didn’t like the message Villa was pushing.

Wearing a long dress made to look like a wall, with the words “Build The Wall” scrawled on the back and holding a “Make America Great Again” purse, Villa made it pretty clear where she stood on President Donald Trump.

Naturally, since Villa was not conforming to the leftist ideals Behar and other liberals so desperately push, she was immediately vilified online and subjected to disgusting treatment.

To her credit, Villa didn’t take any of the criticisms laying down. She fired back in a very powerful and public manner.

“I don’t care what anyone thinks,” Villa bluntly said, before citing some statistics about drugs, sexual assault and child trafficking that the left will surely turn a blind eye toward.

But more importantly than defending herself, Villa also celebrated how her wardrobe choice was making more and more artists in the music industry comfortable to tout their conservative or Republican roots.

“I’m SO glad other artists are coming out,” Villa posted on Twitter. “It’s time. It’s been dominated for years by liberals.”

The most powerful and most fiery line of Villa’s tweets?

“Conservative culture is taking over.”

And just to be clear, Villa is not some flash in the pan crying for attention. She has consistently and proudly shown off her conservative beliefs. In fact, at the 2017 Grammys, Villa proudly wore a red, white and blue “Make America Great Again” dress.

She obviously had to deal with leftist backlash for that too, despite the fact that an immigrant actually made that dress for her.

In 2018, Villa donned a decidedly pro-life dress.

Perhaps if these award shows were less of a self-congratulatory exhibition for smug Hollywood elitists, and actually featured more authentic people with varying ideological viewpoints like Joy Villa, their ratings wouldn’t be so bad.

Margaret Sanger: Author of Birth Control and the Extermination of Black People and Other’s She Deemed “Undesirable”

The French have a word for it: débaptiser.

A prominent French scientist, Alexis Carrel (1878-1944) won the Nobel Prize for his inventions. His work saved military and civilian lives during both world wars. After his death, a grateful nation baptized the medical school of Lyons as Alexis-Carrel University. In the 1990s, however, critics recalled that Carrel had been an ardent eugenicist. In his book Man the Unknown (1935), Carrel recommended the use of gas chambers to deal with criminals and the insane. In the 1936 preface to the German edition, he praised the new National Socialist government’s eugenic policy of forced sterilization. The French government quickly debaptized Alexis-Carrel University and rebaptized it in the name of T. H. Laënnec, the uncontroversial inventor of the stethoscope.

In our own nation the work of debaptism continues apace as we confront our racist history. Calhoun Hall at Yale has been renamed. A senator and vice president, John Calhoun was an ardent defender of slavery and white supremacy. Georgetown recently removed the names of Thomas Mullady and William McSherry from campus buildings since both Jesuits had been prominent in the sale of slaves to distant Southern plantations in 1838.

Sanger argued for compulsory sterilization and segregation for people with disabilities.

As we purify our national memory, I would like to nominate my own candidate for debaptism: Sanger Square in Manhattan. Named after Margaret Sanger (1879-1966), the founder of the Birth Control League (the future Planned Parenthood), the square honors an improbable feminist icon who championed a coercive brand of eugenics.

Sanger’s eugenics creed is clearly stated in her speech “My Way to Peace” (1932). The centerpiece of the program is vigorous state use of compulsory sterilization and segregation. The first class of persons targeted for sterilization is made up of people with mental or physical disability. “The first step would be to control the intake and output on morons, mental defectives, epileptics.” A much larger class of undesirables would be forced to choose either sterilization or placement in state work camps. “The second step would be to take an inventory of the second group, such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope-fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection and segregate them on farms and open spaces.” Those segregated in these camps could return to mainstream society if they underwent sterilization and demonstrated good behavior. Sanger estimates that 15 million to 20 million Americans would be targeted in this regime of forced sterilization and concentration camps. In Sanger, the humanitarian dream of a world without poverty and illness has deteriorated into a coercive world where the poor, the disabled and the addicted simply disappear.

Sanger represents a genteel prejudice shared by many members of America’s ruling class in the early 20th century.

Sanger’s eugenics project carried its own racial preoccupation. In a letter of Dec. 10, 1939, to Clarence Gamble (cited here), she explains the nature of her organization’s outreach to the African-American community: “The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” In her autobiography she proudly recounts her address to the women of the Ku Klux Klan in Silver Lake, N.J., in 1926.

Dethroning a cultural idol like Sanger is not easy. The problem goes deeper than the link between her birth control movement and the sexual revolution. Sanger represents a genteel prejudice shared by many members of America’s ruling class in the early 20th century. To face squarely the glacial eugenics of Sanger one must demythologize the Progressive movement’s pantheon: Theodore Roosevelt (who staunchly supported the eugenic research of the Cold Spring Harbor laboratories), Woodrow Wilson (who as governor of New Jersey signed a law in 1911 mandating the forced sterilization of “the feeble-minded”), and Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes (who in the Buck v. Bell case in 1927 declared forced-sterilization statutes constitutional). Such biases have consequences. At least 60,000 American citizens were sterilized against their will under the weight of such mandates.

When we improbably debaptize Sanger Square, I propose a new baptismal name: that of Carrie Buck (1878-1966), the Virginia woman whose fate as a sterilization victim was sealed by the 1927 court decision. The state of Virginia had condemned Buck as feeble-minded, as incorrigible and as sexually promiscuous. She was in fact a C pupil, only mildly disruptive in class, and the child she bore out of wedlock was the result of being raped by the nephew of her foster parents.

For all our current efforts to face the destructive biases in our history, we find it difficult to admit, let alone condemn, our longstanding hostility toward people with disabilities and to confront those elites who have fostered that contempt. Our cult of Margaret Sanger is a sign of that enduring refusal.

MY WAY TO PEACE

Margaret Sanger

URL of the original posting site: https://www.nyu.edu/projects/sanger/webedition/app/documents/show.php?sangerDoc=129037.xml

Science has been applied to the various channels of life’s needs especially to our environment. Industry, commerce, education, hygiene, surgery, agriculture, dairy, factory, mining and even war have had the benefits of the best that science could command; but it has not yet been applied to improving the quality of life itself nor to the maintenance of PEACE.

MY WAY TO PEACE would be First, to put into action the fourteen points of President Wilson’s, upon which Germany and Austria surrendered to the Allies. Second, to have Congress set up a special department for the study of population problems, and appoint a Parliament of Population Directors representing the various branches of science.

This body to direct and control the population through Birth rates and immigration, and direct its distribution over the country according to national needs consistent with the taste, fitness and interest of the individuals.

The main objects of the Population Congress would be:

(a) to raise the level and increase the general intelligence of our population.

(b) to increase the population slowly by keeping the birth rate at its present level of fifteen, decreasing the death rate below its present mark of 11.

(c) keep the doors of Immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feeble-minded, idiots, morons, insane, syphiletic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in this class barred from entrance by the Immigration Laws of 1924.

(d) apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization, and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.

(e) to insure the country against future burdens of maintenance for numerous offspring as may be born of feeble-minded parents, the government would pension all persons with transmissible disease who voluntarily consent to sterilization.

(f) the whole dysgenic population would have its choice of segregation or sterilization.

(g) there would be farm lands and homesteads where these segregated persons would be taught to work under competent instructors for the period of their entire lives.

The first step would thus be to control the intake and output on morons, mental defectives, epileptics.

The second step would be to take an inventory of the secondary group such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope-fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection and segregate on farms and open spaces as long as necessary for the strengthening and development of moral conduct.

Having coralled this enormous part of our population and placed it on a basis of health not punishment, it is safe to say that about fifteen or twenty millions of our population would then be organized into soldiers of defense–defending the unborn against their own disabilities.

The third step would be to give special attention to the mothers’ health, to see that women who are suffering from tuberculosis, heart or kidney disease, toxis goitre, gonorrhea, or any disease where the condition of pregnancy disturbs her health; place these mothers under public health nurses to instruct them in practical scientific methods of contraception in order to safeguard their lives–thus reducing maternal mortality.

There would be a careful follow-up in the homes where infants have died, to ascertain the causes and to prevent when possible the further increase of children until the causes have been removed–reducing infant mortality.

While the above steps seem to be emphasis on a health program instead of on tariffs, moratoriums and debts, I believe that national health is the first essential factor in any program for universal peace.

With the future citizens safeguarded from hereditary taints, with five million mental and moral degenerates segregated, with ten million women and ten million children receiving adequate attention, we could then turn our attention to the basic needs for international peace.

There would then be a definite inexorable ruling that the population should increase slowly at a specified rate, in order to accommodate and adjust the increasing numbers to our social and economic system.

The Birth Rate in the United States in 1931 was 15.0 and the death rate about 11, which allowed for a survival rate of 4%, or an increase in the population, including immigration, of over 20%.

Immigration: Open the gates of the U.S.A. to those countries whose inhabitants have the inherent talents and national characteristics desirable, eliminating entirely those countries whose subjects have already been difficult to assimilate.

This plan to be in operation for ten years. In the meantime we shall organize and join an International League of Low Birth Rate Nations to secure and maintain WORLD PEACE.

Meet the New Margaret Sangers

Written by Dan Perkins on February 11, 2019

URL of the original posting site: https://clashdaily.com/2019/02/meet-the-new-margaret-sangers/

I have been able to identify 2 people from the Democratic Party and one intuition that I believe represent the new Margaret Sangers. In case some of my readers do not know who Margaret Sanger was, let me give you a brief history. Born in 1879 this is what she believed and taught: “Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization.

She also spoke of those who were “irresponsible and reckless,” among whom she included those “whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers.” She further contended, “There is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.” That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of whom Sanger considered “unfit” cannot be easily refuted.

How successful were Margaret’s efforts? After her death in 1966, her efforts led to the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision on legal abortion. How has it met her goals? For example, 36.0% of all abortions in the U.S. in 2014 were performed on Black women. However, only about 13.3% of the total population is Black.

While Black women make up only about 14% of Michigan’s female population, they had 50.6% of all abortions reported in the state in 2017.

How successful have the Sangers of the world been in reducing the number of African-Americans? They are no longer the nation’s largest minority group. Today, Hispanics have outpaced Blacks in population growth.

Who are the new Sangers? The first is Virginia Democratic delegate, Kathy Tran. She introduced a bill that would allow an abortion to take place while the baby is in the birth canal. Of note is that the Virginia Democratic governor, Ralph Northam, supported the bill. “Tran kicked up a firestorm last week in answering yes when asked if her bill would allow a woman in labor and about to deliver to have an abortion.” She later took back the answer, saying that an abortion to interrupt a live birth would be infanticide and illegal. The Republicans in the Virginia house defeated her bill, but another state saw this differently.

The second Margaret Sanger is State Sen. Liz Krueger, a Manhattan Democrat, who with others was the Abortion bill’s sponsor in the New York State Senate. In 2013 17,712,000 people were living in New York, with blacks accounting for 3.5 million or 19.7% of the state’s population.

The number of abortions performed on all races in New York was 98,104 in 2013. Black abortions accounted for 34,960, or almost 36% of all abortions. The question is would Margaret be pleased with these results?

Now let’s turn to the institutional Margaret Sanger, the Democratic Party. The New York Democratic Party leadership celebrated the passage of the bill, extending the time for an abortion to literally the beginning of delivery. They were so proud of what they accomplished that Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo called this bloody, legal monstrosity a historic victory for New Yorkers and for our progressive values. He then ordered One World Trade Center—A.K.A., the “Freedom Tower” –and other New York landmarks to be lit up pink. This “achievement,” he said, will shine a bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow. Yes, America will kill its babies after they are born.

Let me be clear: what the New York Democrats were celebrating was the legality of a fully-formed, eight-pound baby girl, with a head of hair, fingernails, eyelashes, and a 100 percent chance of surviving outside the womb, to be poisoned, crushed and killed.

The pushback from both events caught the national Democrats off guard, and they had to do something to change the story and distract people from talking about this horrific thing that they had done. Even so, the Democrats have fought for 43 years for abortion at any time, including the moment of birth.

As I stated above, the governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, supported the bill and said during an interview with WTOP that, he supported the motion and seemed to push the envelope a little further by suggesting that a mother could make the decision to abort the child after it was birthed, as it lay on a birthing table.

The Democrats were shocked at the public outcry of Infanticide. The news was getting more and more negative and they desperately needed to change the message. This unexpected change came from 1984 pictures of blackface and the KKK on Governor Northam’s medical school yearbook page. The panic can be heard in the voice of Erin Burnett when she desperately tries to change the subject from infanticide back to the KKK and Governor Northam. The truth is that the killing of a child in the first 24 hours of birth is properly called Neonaticide.

Here the Democrats saw a way to sacrifice one of their own, Governor Northam, and get a black governor, present Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax, to make up for the two they lost in the midterms and change the agenda away from infanticide.

I said last Friday on one of my radio appearances that this issue, I believe, will have legs that will take us to the 2020 elections. All of the candidates for the Democratic nomination who called for the ouster of Northam are in trouble. Identifying the Democratic Party with infanticide by Republicans will cost them dearly.

Margaret Sanger, rest well, your friends, the Democratic Party, are fulfilling your dreams.

Hey Democrats: You Can Follow MLK Or Margaret Sanger… But Not Both

Written by Wes Walker on February 11, 2019

Between the Blackface/KKK photo and his position on infanticide, Governor Northam’s personal crisis brings up a conversation that’s long overdue. Democrats see themselves as the only option for minority voters, especially black voters. They also venerate Margaret Sanger as a secular saint. There’s a problem (that should be obvious) with trying to hold both views at the same time.

The aggressive support of abortion on the left we’ve seen in recent years should come as no surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention. When Obama was still a Senator, he voted in favor of the exact same infanticide protocol that got Governor Northam in hot water. Obama prioritized the mother’s intent for abortion over the medical care of an infant who — in the process of an abortion attempt — miraculously survived.

That lines up with the stance New York, and some other blue states, have been taking in throwing off all restraint to abortion at ANY point. Margaret Sanger would be thoroughly pleased. Why wouldn’t she be, she WAS a black-hating eugenicist, after all.

Funny how Democrats claim that REPUBLICANS are somehow ‘afraid’ of what they term the ‘browning of America’. Republicans aren’t the ones making it possible for more black babies in New York to be aborted than born. And with New York’s new laws, that number can only go higher.

Just imagine what the black population would be today if they had survived the womb? Like I said, Margaret Sanger would give a Big Thumbs Up to how successfully the Democrats are convincing Black Americans to self-destruct, at levels FAR greater than that of any other ethnic group in America.

One example of her views, in her own words:

Source: American Magazine

Read that phrase again, slowly.

“Exterminate the Negro Population”

Hey Democrats — does that phrase make you at all uncomfortable?

How about this one?

Right now people are near losing their minds over blackface. But they still hail this racist woman with murderous intent as a ‘hero’.

Is that REALLY that attitude of someone we ought to memorialize in America? Or should she be considered a blight and a stain on our history, one we learn from and carefully avoid repeating, no matter WHAT you may think about her role in mainstreaming birth control?

The WSJ published a story about the comparative birth rate and abortion rates of black babies, but since it’s behind a paywall, we’ll link our readers to this story that relates some of the numbers cited.

According to a city Health Department report released in May, between 2012 and 2016 black mothers terminated 136,426 pregnancies and gave birth to 118,127 babies. By contrast, births far surpassed abortions among whites, Asians and Hispanics.

What about nationally? Riley writes

Nationally, black women terminate pregnancies at far higher rates than other women as well. In 2014, 36% of all abortions were performed on black women, who are just 13% of the female population. The little discussed flip side of “reproductive freedom” is that abortion deaths far exceed those via cancer, violent crime, heart disease, AIDS and accidents.

Think about that. 13% of the female population, 36% of all abortions!

Our single issue focus means we will not explore what Riley sees as the hypocrisy of those who value black lives out of the womb but are silent about the slaughter of black lives in the womb.

What we can say is that every abortion is a failure and a tragedy multiplied on a scale in the black community so vast that it almost defies description.

Since the Left has been trying to tell us that Blackface was commonplace in the 1980s and we should shrug and dismiss it as the behavior of people who lived in ‘less enlightened’ times or something, consider this story from 1982.

President Reagan paid an impromptu visit late today to a suburban Washington home to reassure its black owners that the cross-burning they experienced five years ago was ”not something that should have ever happened in America.”

The President decided to make the visit after reading an article in today’s Washington Post about the troubles that Barbara and Phillip Butler suffered when they moved to the College Park Woods subdivision early in 1977.

”I thought maybe I might just call attention to how reprehensible something of this kind is,” Mr. Reagan told reporters as he left the tan brick home after a 20-minute meeting with the Butlers, their four-year-old daughter and Mrs. Butler’s mother.

Republican heroes look a lot different from the Democrat’s heroes, don’t they?

So if a Democrat tries to say that people ‘back then’ didn’t know it was wrong, tell them that may be true of Democrats, but Republicans knew better — even ‘back then’.

MLK, unlike Sanger, was opposed to abortion. Should it really surprise us that the party of race-baiting intersectionalist victimhood has aligned itself against MLK’s OTHER priorities, too?

Occasional-Cortex’s ‘Green New Deal’ Mysteriously Goes A Missin’

Written by Wes Walker on February 11, 2019

By comparison, the Green New Deal rollout almost makes the Obamacare website’s look flawless.

It takes a special kind of stupid to have your would-be Political Magnum Opus mocked so badly that it’s scrubbed from your website hours after launch, with you and your own communications officials blaming the *other* team for ‘misinformation’ about direct quotes taken from it? Because that’s where we find ourselves in our continuing story today, kiddies.

When we met last week, you will remember, Miss. Occasional Cortex was basking in the praise of the 67 Democrats (read: Socialist dupes) signed on to her “Green New Deal”. That list includes several Presidential hopefuls.

Meanwhile, the Right (and even some Leftists who haven’t signed up to get their lobotomy scars yet) laughed it right off the stage Naturally, we took our turn, too. Here’s one excerpt:

Remember that old joke Q. “what did Socialists use before candles?” A. “Electricity

That sums up her idea surprisingly well.
Occasional-Cortex’s ‘Green Deal’ Takes Stupidity To Olympic Levels

(FYI: The above article ends with screenshots of the FAQs from her own website. The same ones that were later pulled down.)

By the afternoon of Feb. 7, Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., removed the document from her website without explanation but following backlash and even ridicule over the radical plans outlined within it, including a call to “eliminate emissions from cows or air travel” — which would functionally ban the latter — and to provide “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work.”
Source: WashingtonExaminer

This was the same day they went live, for those keeping score at home.

At first, they pretended the points Tucker objected to weren’t even IN the proposed ‘Green New Deal. (Spoiler alert… they were.)

Robert Hockett, professor of law and finance at Cornell University, appearing on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” called the contents of the now-missing blog post “some kind of document that somebody other than us has been circulating.”

Hockett said Ocasio-Cortez does not endorse the idea of paying people “unwilling to work” and does not want to ban airplane travel.

He said Ocasio-Cortez “tweeted it out to laugh at it.”

He added, “It seems apparently some Republicans have put it out there.”

“It was the REPUBLICANS!”

The lie didn’t stand up very well to scrutiny.

In today’s tech-savvy generation, there’s a small problem with playing the ‘blame game’ in suggesting something has been doctored. If you know what you’re doing, the fact-checking doesn’t take any special insider access or knowledge.

Here’s her team getting caught in a lie:

But on Saturday morning, chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti tweeted that the FAQ page was indeed posted by the Ocasio-Cortez staff but was done so in error. He called the page “an early draft of a FAQ that was clearly unfinished and that doesn’t represent the GND resolution got published to the website by mistake (idea was to wait for launch, monitor q’s, and rewrite that FAQ before publishing).”

Ocasio-Cortez later Saturday admitted the same, tweeting at a Washington Post reporter, “There was also a draft version that got uploaded + taken down. There’s also draft versions floating out there.”
Source: WashingtonExaminer

Ocasio-Cortez again referred to “doctored versions” in her Saturday tweet, though she did not address why the original post on her website, which initially said “we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast” and was apparently later updated to instead include the emissions language, was edited and removed.

Chakrabarti tweeted a link Saturday to the green economy group New Consensus, which has authored an “explainer” of the Green New deal. “Don’t worry,” New Consensus tweeted. “Policy deets are coming.”

As for the blog post, it has not been restored to her congressional website as of Saturday morning but is available via archive and its text saved online.

Cue that old line from Scooby Doo…

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for you meddling kids!

‘Superman’ Does Simple Math, Rips Apart Congresswoman’s Minimum-Wage Example

Reported By C. Douglas Golden | Published February 9, 2019 at 8:50am

Whenever one sees that Rep. Ilhan Omar has gone viral these days, the odds are better than not that it involves some sort of gaffe. And while a clip of the Minnesota Democrat decrying the wages that McDonald’s workers receive initially went viral because it made her liberal fans happy, it quickly became apparent she had no idea what she was talking about. In fact, her economics were so off that actor Dean Cain — who may have played Superman but certainly isn’t Milton Friedman when it comes to the dismal science — was able to rip it to shreds.

The clip in question came Thursday when Terrence Wise — a Missouri McDonald’s shift manager who has been active in the “Fight for $15” movement — was being questioned by Omar during congressional testimony.

“So the median pay for a McDonald’s worker was $7,000 in 2017,” she said. “And that is the pay gap between the CEO that’s making $21.8 (million) to the $7,000 that a worker who has put in 40 hours a (week) gets paid.

“To me, that just morally does not sit well.”

Omar posted the clip on Twitter along with a stronger statement: “This is a moral outrage. We need a $15 minimum wage so that no one is paid a poverty wage.”

Cain, an outspoken conservative, noticed a few problems with this proposition.

“At $11/hr. your math ain’t making any sense,” he tweeted. “Unless that dude works only 15 weeks of a year. And flipping burgers not quite the same as being CEO.”

First, a good reason those numbers don’t sound right: The median pay for a McDonald’s worker isn’t determined by the pay for a worker in the United States.

Omar likely got the statistic from a May 7, 2018, Associated Press story on the pay gap between CEOs and employees: “McDonald’s Corp. CEO Steve Easterbrook was paid almost $22 million last year, while the company’s median employee received around $7,000 annually. The fast-food company has the largest ratio in Illinois at 3,101 to 1.”

Denuded from the context was just what a “median employee” was.

“McDonald’s defines a median employee as a part-time hourly restaurant crew member in Poland, where wages are lower than in the U.S. and it didn’t use any of the exclusions allowed,” the AP story continued.

“Companies, like McDonald’s, with global workforces and that rely on part-time or temporary employees tend to have higher pay gaps. Easterbrook’s pay is also based on company performance, and the company’s value grew $36 billion last year.”

Even the AP’s wording was somewhat misleading, but Omar’s remarks went well beyond that — saying that someone working 40 hours a week at $11 an hour would end up with that $7,000. It didn’t take long for Twitter to pile on.

For the record, $11 an hour times 40 hours per week times 52 weeks in a year equals $22,880, not $7,000.

While this probably isn’t Omar’s worst gaffe thus far (I think her tweet about the poor Black Hebrew Israelites — members of a racist organization — getting harassed by Covington Catholic High School has to take the cake), this is certainly up there. Surely someone on her staff could have run the numbers?

But that’s the thing about the new Democrats. They operate by a motto that’s an inverse of conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s trademark phrase: Feelings don’t care about your facts. Liberals feel for low-wage workers and don’t like CEOs, no matter how much low-wage workers are worth to a company or how much value CEOs may add.

Therefore, these numbers might be wrong, but they don’t feel wrong.

It’s the same way they know that $15 is the perfect minimum wage. This isn’t from studies, mind you (which show a $15 minimum wage kills jobs, especially given automation), but seemingly from the fact that it’s a nice, round number and the “Fight for $15” is alliterative.

With logic like that, we should get ready to see a lot of this from Omar in the coming years. More’s the pity.

Cory Booker Gets BLASTED with Response by Trump Nominee

Reported By Kevin Jackson |

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) wants relevancy so bad. And he’s decided that the LGBTQ community can help him get there.

Moreover, judicial confirmations bring out “Spartacus” when Booker gets on the world stage.

Recall Booker made headlines last September in his “I am Spartacus” moment. In that theatrical display, Booker moved to release sensitive documents during now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing. The punchline? The documents were not sensitive at all. And the only thing sensitive is Booker’s fragile ego.

In his latest “Drama Queen” display, Leftist nutbag Booker attempted to grill Neomi Rao, the nominee who will replace now-SCOTUS Justice Kavanaugh on the U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C.

Booker: “Have you ever had any LGBTQ law clerks?”

Rao: “Senator, I’ve yet to be a judge. I don’t have law clerks.”

Booker: “I meant someone working for you.”

Currently, Rao serves as the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. So she has no clerks.

Regardless of Neomi Rao having no clerks, consider the nature of this question.

When interviewing people for a job, who inquires about a potential employees sexuality? Aside from that being illegal, it’s just bad business. When you’re looking to fill a job, you should be concerned about a person’s ability to perform in the role, not sexuality.

But the question runs deeper. If you happened to hire a gay person, should you be expected to know it and provide a count? In other words, what did Booker expect Rao to say?

“Yes, Senator Booker. By my count, I’ve hired 23 LGBTQ employees!”

This is akin to “Yes, I have a black friend”.

Yet, Booker’s question was part of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate’s bid to explore her views on LGBTQ rights, given her past writings. You can bet her writings kept the playing field level for all Americans, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. Yet Booker tries his “gotcha” moment.

#MeToo…Is this thing on?!

And what of the attack on Rao…an Asian woman? Where’s the Left’s outcry over this? It certainly wouldn’t be the first time, either.

In another clip, Booker berates Secretary of Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen for forgetting President Trump’s comments in which he is reported to have referred to Haiti and African nations as “shithole countries”. Booker declares her “silence and amnesia is complicit.”

How would Leftists treat a Republican who asked such a dumb question of a Leftist female nominee?

But Rao showed class. And you can tell she wasn’t contrived in her answer to Booker follow-up. Frankly, her answer truly showcases the difference between Conservatives and Leftists.

She said:

“To be honest I don’t know the sexual orientation of my staff. I take people as they come, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation. I treat people as individuals.”

Game. Set. Match.

Understand that Spartacus wants to be president. I’m not sure he’s aware that we had our first closeted gay president from 2008 to 2016. Perhaps Booker wants to be the first openly gay president?

Regardless, his and the Democrats’ incessant need to check people’s pulses on sexuality and other impertinent issues will be their undoing.

BOMBSHELL: Fourth Democrat Caught Up In Virginia Scandals, & It’s As Bad As It Gets

Reported By

It’s not good to be a high-ranking Democrat in Virginia right now.

First, Governor Ralph Northam’s racist past came to light. Then, Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax’s sex scandal made waves.

The state’s attorney general then claimed that he, like Northam, wore blackface in his youth.

Now, scandal number four is about to break everything wide open. Some people might even say this case is the worst yet.

From Daily Wire:

The series of scandals that have brought Virginia Democrats to their knees over the last week worsened after a new bombshell report was released on Wednesday night that alleges a Democratic lawmaker knew about the sexual assault allegations against Democrat Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax for over a year.

ABC News reports that Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA) was made aware of the allegations directly from Fairfax’s accuser, Dr. Vanessa Tyson, “who on Wednesday released a statement detailing the alleged 2004 assault, which took place at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.”https://lockerdome.com/lad/10817563773098342?pubid=ld-7985-7177&pubo=https%3A%2F%2Fflagandcross.com&rid=&width=740

[…]

In December 2017, Tyson allegedly told Scott that Fairfax had a “MeToo allegation,” and over the next month, Scott’s aides learned that Tyson was the alleged victim.

Will any of these Democrats be forced to answer for their recklessness?

Will any of them resign?

President Trump ripped into Northam after racist photos surfaced from his yearbook showing men in blackface and a KKK hood. Democrats and Republicans are calling for Northam’s resignation, but he says he’s not leaving his post.

Here’s what 45 had to say on the subject…

Democrat Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia just stated, “I believe that I am not either of the people in that photo.” This was 24 hours after apologizing for appearing in the picture and after making the most horrible statement on “super” late term abortion. Unforgivable!

Ed Gillespie, who ran for Governor of the Great State of Virginia against Ralph Northam, must now be thinking Malpractice and Dereliction of Duty with regard to his Opposition Research Staff. If they find that terrible picture before the election, he wins by 20 points!

From Fox News:

Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam apologized Friday for appearing in a “racist and offensive” photo on his 1984 medical school yearbook page that showed one man dressed in blackface and another in a KKK robe.

Northam – who has been under fire this week for comments made about a third-trimester abortion bill in his state – admitted to being one of the people in the photo, though it’s not clear which costume he is wearing.

Northam: “Earlier today, a website published a photograph of me from my 1984 medical school yearbook in a costume that is clearly racist and offensive.”

“I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now.”

Here’s the photo:

Here’s Northam saying he won’t leave…

Charlie Daniels Calls Out Leftist Hypocrisy over All-White Wardrobe: Believe All Women, Except Fairfax Accuser

Reported By Malachi Bailey | February 6, 2019 at 12:12pm

Country music legend Charlie Daniels slammed Democratic women for wearing white to Tuesday night’s State of the Union address to show support for women while their party is noticeably silent about a high-profile sexual assault accusation against Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax.

And he didn’t mince words.

“Democrat women are wearing white to the State of the Union address to signify support for ALL women (Except for the one who is accusing Lt Governor Fairfax of sexual harassment),” Daniels tweeted Tuesday night.

Many female Democratic members of Congress, including far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, wore white as a way to show solidarity on “women’s issues,” according to CNN. And while white was the color of the suffragette movement that won the right to vote for women in 1920, Democrats made it clear that the white on Tuesday applied went much further than gaining women the franchise a century ago.

“I’m looking forward to wearing suffragette white to #SOTU next week with all @HouseDemWomen!” Florida Rep. Lois Frankel wrote in a Twitter post last week. “We’ll honor all those who came before us and send a message of solidarity that we’re not going back on our hard-earned rights.”

But as Daniels pointed out, the bold statement of “solidarity” from the white attire contrasted sharply with the same women’s deafening silence regarding the allegation against Fairfax.

Virginia is currently in the midst of a political crisis as Democrats try to distance themselves from Gov. Ralph Northam, who found himself embroiled in two controversies last week. In a radio interview on Jan. 30, Northam hinted at supporting post-birth abortion, a position that disgusted and infuriated members of the pro-life movement.

But Democrats are more angry about a racist photo from Northam’s medical school yearbook from 1984. With Northam’s relationship with Democrats in tatters, the party seemed poised to throw its support behind Fairfax if Northam eventually steps down. Unfortunately for Democrats, the lieutenant governor is currently facing an accusation from a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.

Fairfax, however, maintains the encounter was consensual. Virginia Democrats have been cautious at best about the accusation.

“The facts here are still being determined. Every individual deserves the opportunity to be heard, and we respect anyone who comes forward to share their story,” the state’s Democratic lawmakers said in a brief statement Tuesday.

“Governor Northam must end this chapter immediately, step down, and let Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax heal Virginia’s wounds and move us forward.”

We still haven’t heard the kind of widespread condemnation Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh received when he faced allegations that were undoubtedly less credible.

Quentin Kidd, director of the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University, told The Washington Post that the silence from Democrats is “deafening.”

“They may be thinking, ‘We don’t want to throw our lieutenant governor under the bus while we’re also trying to throw our governor out of office,’” he said. “Republicans are probably eating all the popcorn they can find right now. It’s quite a show.”

To be clear, Fairfax deserves due process, but that’s not a principle that Democrats care about when Republicans are accused. Democrats are supposed to “believe all women,” but it’s not a good look when they selectively believe women based on politics.

Daniels had a point. For a party that supposedly supports women, Democrats are awfully silent about Fairfax’s troubling accusation.

WATCH: Joy Behar Admits To Wearing Blackface — Should She Be Fired?

Written by Wes Walker on February 7, 2019

And before you answer, keep in mind what it was that ended Megyn Kelly’s career. We didn’t make the rules. We just want to see them enforced equally. That way, when the OTHER side decides they don’t like being judged by them, we can ALL stop using them.

Otherwise, it’s like what they’ve done with adultery. They sweep THEIR candidates’ indiscretions under the rug while making sure all the world hears every juicy rumor. Why? Because it’s easier to bully and shame an opponent into quitting — or at least putting him on the defensive — that it is to battle in the arena of ideas.

With stories about Blackfaced White Democrats in Virginia (and elsewhere) popping out of the woodwork almost with every passing day, suddenly everyone is talking about who wore Blackface and when.

Since the internet is forever, that can take us to some interesting places…

Like that time Joy Behar talked about dressing up as a black woman.

Here’s the photo of her in costume.

Weird that she was allowed to stick around when others were deep-sixed over less.

After all, look what happened to Megyn Kelly, who never even dressed up in the costume, but just talked about whether dressing up as a SPECIFIC individual was different than dressing up, as it were, as a ‘generic’ person of another race.

Even suggesting that someone ELSE dressing up as Diana Ross for Halloween — a star someone admired, not a person she was trying to parody — might be more acceptable than appearing to be of another race got her fired.

“‘Megyn Kelly Today’ is not returning,” according to an NBC statement. “Next week, the 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other TODAY co-anchors.”

During her 9 a.m. hour of the Today show Tuesday, Kelly claimed that blackface was acceptable in the context of Halloween costumes, saying it was “OK when I was a kid as long as you were dressing like a character.” The backlash was swift and even drew criticism from longtime Today co-host Al Roker, who said, “While she apologized to the staff, she owes a bigger apology to folks of color around the country because this is a history going back to the 1830s.”

During her Wednesday show, Kelly tried to make amends, saying, “I want to begin with two words: I’m sorry. I defended the idea [of blackface], saying that as long it was respectful and part of a Halloween costume, that it seemed OK. Well, I was wrong, and I am sorry.”

Despite the apology, NBC decided to call of Kelly’s show for the rest of the week, choosing instead to air reruns on Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday, Kelly dropped her talent agency, CAA, over several issues, including concerns over conflicts of interest stemming from CAA’s representation of other NBC talent and executives. Kelly signed with a different agency, UTA, soon after, and hired entertainment attorney Bryan Freedman.
Source: Rolling Stone

Since ‘admiring a singer’ was not an acceptable defense for Kelly defending someone ELSE wearing a racially insensitive costume, and her apology was not accepted, it seems strange that Virginia’s Governor Northam thinks it’s ok for HIM to have rubbed shoe polish on his face to perform as Michael Jackson. How could he possibly get a ‘pass’… unless he’s hoping he can skate by virtue of being a Democrat that the Media won’t touch.

Normally, he’d get EXACTLY that kind of a pass. But this time, even a complicit Media(D) would have trouble saving Northam’s bacon.

Since we’re busy throwing people under the bus here, can we talk about Joy Behar’s future?

She’s thrown TONS of people under the bus. She led the charge on getting Roseanne not only canceled but ‘erased’ from television history. It’s pulled from syndication over a careless tweet mocking Valeri Jarett. And she was no defender of Megyn Kelly’s innocence, either.

Why should such a vindictive graceless troll get treated differently than the political rivals she uses her power to destroy, especially when her behavior was a greater violation of the rules she ruthlessly enforces on others? Does Joy’s career need to pay the same price that Megyn Kelly’s did?

President Donald Trump Speaks at the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast: Livestream

Commander-in-chief makes remarks on Thursday

The president makes remarks this morning at the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C.

During the event, he’ll speak to a range of leaders from all over the world, including clergy, diplomats and lobbyists.

The annual event at the Washington Hilton especially attracts conservative evangelicals who are “jockeying to rub shoulders with Washington’s elite,” as The Washington Post put it.

Every president since Dwight D. Eisenhower has attended the event.

It draws several thousand people; this year’s event is co-chaired by Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.).

Campaign for Working Families End of Day Report February 6, 2019

Wednesday, February 6, 2019
To: Friends & Supporters
From: Gary Bauer

Trump’s Strong Address

As President Trump said last night, the state of our union is strong.  And so too was his performance!

This was one of the best State of the Union addresses I have ever witnessed.  And I have witnessed some great ones, especially when I served in the Reagan White House.

I am not alone in that assessment.  Snap polls from CBS and CNN — not Fox — found that 76% of Americans approved of the president’s address.

There were many revealing moments last night.  But I will mention just a few here now because there is a raging battle to control the narrative and to convince the American people that they shouldn’t like what they heard last night.

I urge you to share this report with all your friends and family members.

The Economy

President Trump outlined a powerful message of accomplishments, which will undoubtedly be the core message of the 2020 campaign.  But the reaction of the “loyal opposition” to these achievements exposed the progressive left as a movement that is increasingly socialist.

Did you notice the contrast when the president was accurately describing the success of his economic program, including record low minority unemployment?  Few Democrats applauded.

When Trump hailed the economic gains made by women, many of the newly-elected socialist women initially sat on their hands.  Later, when he hailed the election of more women to public office, they jumped to their feet and danced.

So the news of greater employment for American women got little notice, but news of their advancement was celebrated, even though their left-wing policies would likely stall progress for all women.

Last night, President Trump did not hesitate to directly confront the left’s embrace of socialism.  He boldly declared:

“Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country.  America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination, and control.  We are born free, and we will stay free.  Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.”

The new members of Congress who are proud “Democratic socialists” and the old members who try to hide it, sat on their hands.  The conservative side of the chamber erupted in applause, expressing their appreciation for the president’s promise that we will not go the way of Europe under his watch.

Border Security

The president made a powerful case for securing our borders and the necessity that barriers be part of any border security plan.  Anything without physical barriers simply will not work.  The president reiterated that point when he said, “Simply put, walls work and walls save lives.”

But he also instinctively drew bright lines that will appeal to many working class Americans, including many Democrats, when he said this:

“No issue better illustrates the divide between America’s working class and America’s political class than illegal immigration.  Wealthy politicians and donors push for open borders while living their lives behind walls and gates and guards.

“Meanwhile, working class Americans are left to pay the price for mass illegal migration: reduced jobs, lower wages, overburdened schools and hospitals, increased crime and a depleted social safety net.”

The left is terrified that if Trump continues to nail them like this, he will once again carry Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

By the way, the CBS poll also found that 72% of last night’s State of the Union viewers approved of President Trump’s position on illegal immigration and border security.

Incredibly, when Trump called for an end to sex trafficking and praised the work of Special Agent Elvin Hernandez, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could not bring herself to applaud even that.

A Passionate Defense Of Life

I was particularly pleased that President Trump did not shy away from the ongoing controversy over late-term abortions.  He spoke passionately and pointedly called out radical pro-abortion legislators in New York and Virginia.

It reminded me of when he exposed Hillary Clinton’s pro-abortion extremism during the 2016 debates.  And he used similar language last night, saying:

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days.  Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth.

“These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world.  And then, we had the case of the governor of Virginia where he basically stated he would execute a baby after birth.

“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.  Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life.  And let us reaffirm a fundamental truth:  All children — born and unborn — are made in the holy image of God.”

This is an issue that unites us.  The American people overwhelmingly oppose late-term abortions.  Yet the vast majority of so-called “progressives” in the House chamber sat on their hands, seething at the president’s call to protect innocent babies.

By the way, Nancy Pelosi’s guest at the State of the Union address was Leana Wen, the new president of Planned Parenthood.

American women may be happy to see so many new women in the Congress today.  But they need to think about this irony:  There are more women in Congress than ever before, and yet more members of Congress than ever before are willing to essentially support infanticide.

A Tribute To America

There were many rousing patriotic moments during President Trump’s remarks last night.  He honored the 75th anniversary of America’s liberation of Nazi-occupied Europe.  He honored the 50th anniversary of Buzz Aldrin’s landing on the moon.

And his tribute to Sergeant Herman Zeitchik, an American soldier who liberated the Dachau concentration camp and helped to rescue Holocaust survivor Joshua Kaufman, who saluted Zeitchik, was especially moving.

Referring to the D-Day heroes like Sergeant Zeitchik, President Trump said:

“They did not know if they would survive the hour. . . But they knew that America had to prevail. Their cause was this nation, and generations yet unborn.

“Why did they do it? They did it for America.  They did it for us.  Everything that has come since . . . is possible thanks to the blood and tears and courage and vision of the Americans who came before.”

Our Divisions

I know many conservatives believe that the reason the left is so committed to “resistance” is because it just can’t stand Donald Trump.  They think that any other Republican could get even more done.  That is just not true.

As I have pointed out many times before, the left’s radicalism is nothing new.  If Marco Rubio or Mitt Romney were standing before Congress promising to build a border wall, they would get the same irrational reaction and be called the same disgusting names.

My friends, America is not divided because of Donald Trump.  Donald Trump was elected because America is so divided, because the left is seeking to “fundamentally transform” our country.

I know many people wish there could be compromise.  But on many of these issues, there is no compromise to be had.

Either we respect the sanctity of life or we do not.

Either we secure the border or we do not.

Either we remain a nation committed to free markets and individual liberty or we do not.

Either we cherish our history and traditions or we do not.

School Spikes MAGA Honor Student’s NHS Application Because of ‘Character Flaw’

Written by Wes Walker on February 5, 2019

He met all the qualifications for National Honor Society, but his school found one ‘disqualifying flaw’. All the other ‘boxes’ in his application checked out. But his school refused to recommend him for one reason.

His political ‘Character Flaw’.

Boris Kizenko, a junior at Holmdel High School, said Sunday that his school’s administration and the “council” responsible for determining admittance into the NHS claimed he had a “character flaw.”

Trending: Here’s The Patriotic Anti-Kneeling Super Bowl Ad That CBS Refused To Run

Kizenko added that he met all of the NHS’s grade and community service requirements as well.

The school is back-pedaling and now says they don’t discriminate against politics. But other students from the school got a green light. And the only thing during the year that got him red-flagged by faculty was political:

It was when he showed his school MAGA spirit. Watch:

‘Offensive’ T-shirts saying ‘Make Holmdel Great Again’ and an Instagram account giving various daily affirmations, including a Presidential quote were NOT received gladly by the school.

“I checked all the boxes, and there’s plenty of pro-choice, anti-Trump — openly — people who get into the National Honor Society,” he said.

Kizenko said that his school believed Trump’s quote — “If you’re going to be thinking, you may as well think big” — doesn’t represent the ideals of his class.

He said that when he posted his quote by Trump and also created “Make Holmdel Great Again” T-shirts for his re-election campaign, it became a “huge problem.”

“I think that kind of shows how the school is just against conservative students,” Kizenko said.

If not that, what was his ‘flaw’?

The school hasn’t replied yet but they have been invited to do so.

3 Powerful Prayers for the Unborn

3 Powerful Prayers for the Unborn

46 years ago, the Supreme Court made one of their most influential and controversial decisions to date, legalizing abortion in all 50 states in Roe v. Wade. Over 60 million babies have been aborted in the United States alone since 1973. You can read a brief history of abortion at the National Right to Life’s website. If you’re pregnant and need help, you can also find pregnancy resources here. May God bring an end to this horrible, grievous massacre. Join us in prayer for the unborn and the women considering abortion.

A Prayer about Abortion

Lord, you are the Creator of all things; you breathe life into every human before they leave the womb. Lord, we don’t know how to stop something this horrible on our own; it is devastating that abortion has weaved its way into many people’s minds as an acceptable choice. Please stop the enemy’s lies from seeping into the minds of the confused, take away the voice of the wicked.

Help us to have compassion on the women who made or were forced to make this horrifying choice and are now suffering the consequences. Surround them with Your love and remind them that Your sacrifice covers even this and that those who belong to You are free in Christ from the guilt of every sin. Break the chain of guilt in those who have repented before You, revive them to live their life knowing true joy in You. May their changed lives speak volumes about the amazing power of Your forgiveness and love.

Help us to remember the unborn who are unwanted and tossed aside every day; help us to be a light in a world of darkness. Give us opportunities to love people and present the truth of Your Word, use us to offer alternative options to women in desperate situations. Jesus, You have the power to change hearts; we pray for the women considering this option – help them to see there is another way.

We pray for our government to change laws and close the doors of abortion clinics. We pray for a renewal of family and faith in the world, and may the Church come alongside single parents and families in need, helping to raise these children for Christ. In your Almighty Name, Jesus, by which all things are possible. Amen.

“As the church, we must not say of abortion, ‘This is murder,’ without saying to the pregnant women, ‘We will serve you.’ If we are doing the former without the latter, we aren’t truly understanding the gospel. We must listen, love, foster, adopt, give money, babysit, donate supplies, mentor young women, and support in whatever ways God has equipped us.” -Matt Chandler, pastor of The Village Church

A Prayer for Your Unborn Baby

God, you see my baby in my womb. You know her every detail, every muscle, every bone, every bit of her beautiful body, mind, heart, and soul. No matter how she is formed, she is beautiful and she is beloved by you. Grant me peace throughout this pregnancy, that I would surrender every worry or fear to you. May I take heart, knowing you have overcome the world and made a way for us to be near to you in heaven someday and on earth here now. No matter what comes, be near, Jesus. Bring comfort and peace, bring blessed assurance. In your name, Amen.
-Excerpted from “7 Prayer for Pregnancy” by Sarah Coleman

What Does the Bible Say about the Unborn?

  • “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” –Psalm 139:13-16
  • “The word of the LORD came to me, saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.’” –Jeremiah 1:4-5
  • “Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?” –Job 31:15
  • “This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, the Maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself,” –Isaiah 44:24

After all, God is the one who gave life to each of us before we were born (Job 31:15, CEV). God is the giver of life. Life is not the result of chance. It is not an accident or fluke. Life comes about because God gives. He grants life to each baby before birth.
Sarah Coleman

A Prayer for the Sanctity of Life

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are Creator of all and the Giver of life. You have created humankind in your image to reflect your glory to the world, and we praise you for the work your hands have done. On this Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, we mourn that many of your precious sons and daughters have lost their lives too soon. We grieve their absence today and every day.

We are broken people, and we have all sinned against you in so many ways, and we pray that today would be a day of repentance and forgiveness. We humbly come before you knowing that all of us have fallen short of your glory, and we ask that you would forgive us of our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Restore us to right relationship with you. Open our eyes, our hearts, our minds, and our hands as we seek to serve you and glorify you through our love for one another. Transform us into new creations. May we truly be your hands and feet in our world, serving others like Jesus came to serve, loving others like we are to love ourselves.

Jesus, you made a way for us where there seemed to be no way. We pray today that you would breathe new life into us. We pray you would increase our empathy, compassion, and love for our neighbors, no matter their age, race, ability, background, or need. We pray we would be people whose hearts echo your own heart for your people—be our strength, Holy Spirit.

Help us to be champions of life, Jesus. Strengthen us and equip us to do your work in our communities, our nations, our world. May we stand for what you have taught us, and may we give you glory in all that we do.

We love you and praise you on this day and every day, Lord. Thank you for the gift of life. Help us to protect and preserve it in every way we can. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In your holy and mighty name, Amen.

Watch Gladys Knight Smile as She Takes Apart Each of Don Lemon’s SJW Questions

Reported By C. Douglas Golden February 5, 2019 at 6:29am

If you’d forgotten how great Gladys Knight was, Super Bowl Sunday was a reminder of why she’s known as the “Empress of Soul” — and you don’t get royal monikers without earning them. It wasn’t just that the Atlanta-based R&B legend was singing the national anthem. It was she nailed it, absolutely nailed it. I may be suffering from a bit of recency bias, but I’d easily put it in the top five of Super Bowl album renditions. It wasn’t Whitney Houston in 1991 or Jennifer Hudson in 2009 — but for me, anyhow, it was close.

Sadly, even singing the national anthem is a political statement in a Super Bowl where every major performer was asked by protesters to stay away due to the fact Colin Kaepernick isn’t in the league. We could debate the merits of Kaepernick’s absence from the NFL endlessly, but the idea that every musician of note should boycott the game is a rather farcical request.

Knight had already been less apologetic and dithering than halftime headliner Maroon 5, which made her even more of a target for social justice warriors to take out their Kaepernick-related frustrations on musicians. On Friday night, she appeared on “CNN Tonight” with host Don Lemon to explain her reasoning, and it was almost as good as her version of the anthem on Sunday.

The show can be risky territory for anyone, particularly since Lemon is fond of taking the SJW line on almost anything. And yet Knight handled it perfectly.

Lemon, who’s made no secret of the fact he doesn’t really buy that Kaepernick isn’t in the NFL because of his talents and other problems he presents, hit Knight with a quote from Kaepernick attorney Mark Geragos, who’s been vociferously attacking any musical act that dared appear at the big game.

In an interview after Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine discussed his decision to perform, Geragos accused him of being an ideological scab: “If you’re going to cross this ideological or intellectual picket line, then own it, and Adam Levine certainly isn’t owning it,” Geragos said.

Lemon played another clip of Geragos discussing that ideological picket line and what she thought about it.

“People are going to have their opinions. You know, about whatever,” Knight said, smiling.

“And all I can deal with, all I can deal with right now is what my heart says,” she continued. “I believe in fairness. I believe in truth. I believe in all of those things, and as far as this is concerned, I grew up with the national anthem.

“We used to sing it in school before school started. We used to say prayers in school before school started, and we just don’t have that anymore and I’m just — I’m just hoping that it will be about our country and how we treat each other and being the great country that we are.”

When asked if the criticisms could hurt her professionally, she was similarly dismissive.

RELATED: Did You Know Taxpayers Were Forced To Donate $700 Million to Sunday Night’s Super Bowl Venue?

“You know what? Nothing good comes easy,” Knight said. “And I would hope that they will understand, as I do, that we have a better way to do this than to be angry and why is he doing this or why ain’t she doing that, you know?.

“For me, it’s just for me about respect. If we start denying the anthem, there are so many people that have died for our country and there are so many people in my family that are still part of, you know, just standing for the country, they are in the services and that kind of thing, and just to not say that if you really listen to the lyrics of the beginning, you’ll understand that. We have fought hard for a long time and not just in wars. I have protested myself.”

Knight went on to discuss her personal experiences during the civil rights era — in other words, disavowing the idea that protest need involve disrupting the Super Bowl.

In  short, she absolutely schooled Lemon — both on his questions and the real meaning of social justice. Knight had made a similar defense of the anthem in January when the pressure to boycott was at its most intense.

“I understand that Mr. Kaepernick is protesting two things, and they are police violence and injustice,” Knight said in a statement then.

“It is unfortunate that our National Anthem has been dragged into this debate when the distinctive senses of the National Anthem and fighting for justice should each stand alone,” the statement said.

“I am here today and on Sunday, Feb. 3 to give the Anthem back its voice, to stand for that historic choice of words, the way it unites us when we hear it and to free it from the same prejudices and struggles I have fought long and hard for all my life, from walking back hallways, from marching with our social leaders, from using my voice for good — I have been in the forefront of this battle longer than most of those voicing their opinions to win the right to sing our country’s Anthem on a stage as large as the Super Bowl LIII.”

In the end, she sang the anthem beautifully and didn’t use it to make a political statement against America or the flag. When grilled by Don Lemon — including the implied threat that her career could suffer — she was pitch-perfect, just as she was on Sunday.

Our hats are off to you, Gladys Knight, and may future Super Bowl performers evince even a fraction of your grace and talent.

This State Just OK’ed PERMITLESS Concealed Carry – Should Other States FOLLOW?

Written by Wes Walker on February 2, 2019

URL of the original posting site: https://clashdaily.com/2019/02/concealed-carry-south-dakota-noem/

Citizens in another state can now say ‘The Second Amendment IS my CC permit!’.

There is hope yet for those who still want a government to uphold the freedoms of the individual, rather than promise the comforts of a nanny-state. Another of our Big-R rights was just re-affirmed in law. The right to self-defense.

It’s not a bad first law for South Dakota’s new Governor to sign as Governor. If you qualify to OWN a firearm — no prohibitions for criminal record, for example — then you also qualify to carry your firearm.

That’s a far cry from, say, New York, where now you can’t even bring your gun from one legal residence to the other.

Governor Kristi Noem is set to sign into law a bill allowing anyone legally able to own a gun to carry a concealed firearm.

Today at noon, Noem will hold her first bill-signing ceremony as South Dakota’s governor. She will sign into law Senate Bill 47, referred to as the ‘constitutional carry’ or ‘permitless carry’ bill. The law will go into effect July 1.

…”Our Founding Fathers believed so firmly in our right to bear arms that they enshrined it into the Constitution,” Noem wrote in a tweet. The bill does not address the right to bear arms, only the legal right in this state to carry a concealed firearm without a $10, five-year, background-checked general permit.

Until July 1, carrying a concealed firearm without a permit remains a misdemeanor. Owning and openly carrying a firearm is legal for law-abiding citizens. According to the Secretary of State’s office, there were about 107,000 concealed carry permits in the state at the end of last November.

What do you say? Should EVERY state pass permitless concealed carry?

Perfect Timing: CEO of MyPillow Takes Bold Stand Against Abortion and Takes Fight to Hollywood

Reported By Malachi Bailey | February 1, 2019 at 11:50am

A pro-life movie that’s partially financed by MyPillow CEO Michael Lindell is set to be distributed nationwide next month, and it couldn’t have been announced at a better time.

The dramatic trailer for the pro-life feature film “Unplanned” was released on Thursday. In the film, Ashley Bratcher plays Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson, who renounces abortion after witnessing the procedure firsthand.

“Everything that they told us is a lie,” Johnson says in the emotional trailer.

Johnson is also warned that she made an enemy of “one of the most powerful organizations on the planet.” The film is set to be released on over 800 screens nationwide, beginning on March 29. “Unplanned” will be distributed by Pure Flix, which also theatrically distributed “God’s Not Dead,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Additionally, the film was partially funded by the MyPillow CEO, who has a history of standing up to the left. Last April, Lindell refused to pull his ads from Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” while leftists were targeting Ingraham’s advertisers. Now Lindell is investing money into a movie to combat abortion, and the trailer couldn’t have been released at a more perfect time.

Last week, Democrats in New York passed new legislation that will allow late-term abortions up to the moment of birth. Democrats in Virginia unsuccessfully tried to pass similar legislation this week, and Virginia’s governor is now under fire for allegedly supporting infanticide. In an interview on WTOP Wednesday morning, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam implied that post-birth abortion — otherwise known as infanticide — may be deliberated with doctors under the proposed legislation.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable,” Northam prefaced.

“The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

These are the monsters that Lindell hopes to oppose by funding “Unplanned,” but unfortunately, liberals may try to attack his business in retaliation. Lindell will need conservatives’ support to compensate for liberal push back as he takes the fight against abortion to Hollywood.

San Francisco Has More Drug Addicts Than Public High School Students, Health Dept Survey finds

Posted by    Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 6:00pm

“There are about 24,500 injection drug users in San Francisco — that’s about 8,500 more people than the nearly 16,000 students enrolled in San Francisco Unified School District’s 15 high schools”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=31&v=YQctLUab5Ks

The Left Coast of this great nation is often held up as a blueprint for progressive policy successes by its politicians, such as Democratic Party presidential hopeful Kamala Harris. However, just how close to utopia are these progressive paradises? A look at the public health conditions show that the only “wealth” that seems to be readily spread through these regions is viral load.

Late last year, I reported that the Los Angeles area was battling a typhus epidemic.

https://legalinsurrection.com/2018/11/typhus-spreads-through-los-angeles-over-100-cases-reported/

Now, a Los Angeles City Hall official is one of the latest victims of typhus, and the disease continues to spread across Los Angeles County.

For months, LA County public health officials have said typhus is mainly hitting the homeless population. But Deputy City Attorney Liz Greenwood, a veteran prosecutor, tells NBC4 she was diagnosed with typhus in November, after experiencing high fevers and excruciating headaches.

“It felt like somebody was driving railroad stakes through my eyes and out the back of my neck,” Greenwood told the I-Team. “Who gets typhus? It’s a medieval disease that’s caused by trash.”

Greenwood believes she contracted typhus from fleas in her office at City Hall East. Fleas often live on rats, which congregate in the many heaps of trash that are visible across the city of LA, and are a breeding ground for typhus.

The California Department of Public Health reports a 55% increase in reported cases of typhus for 2018, with over 160 cases reported across the state. A bit farther North, the blue bastion of San Francisco has a fun, new statistic about which it can boast.

San Francisco has more drug addicts than it has students enrolled in its public high schools, the city Health Department’s latest estimates conclude.

There are about 24,500 injection drug users in San Francisco — that’s about 8,500 more people than the nearly 16,000 students enrolled in San Francisco Unified School District’s 15 high schools and illustrates the scope of the problem on the city’s streets. It’s also an increase of about 2,000 serious drug users since 2012, the last time a study was done….

The problem is particularly visible in the Tenderloin, where police reported more than 600 arrests for drug dealing last year. And where 27 suspects were booked into County Jail for dealing drugs in the first 20 days of the new year.

The out-in-the-open use of drugs on city sidewalks and at the Civic Center BART Station was a huge embarrassment for the city and triggered more police patrols and crackdowns in the past year. The BART station has been cleaned up, but the problem continues in the Tenderloin.

To be fair, who would really want to live in the Bay Area completely sober?

As the final item in our review of social justice citadels, let’s look at Washington state. A few weeks ago, I reported that the section of the state close to Portland, Oregon (an officially designated anti-vaccine hot spot) was experiencing a measles emergency.

Early last week, Washington Governor Jay Inslee Friday a state of emergency related to the measles outbreak.

State agencies will work with local health departments and emergency management teams to help respond to any needs, including epidemiology to verify suspected cases, technical assistance to educate the public on measles outbreaks and guidance on how to protect vulnerable populations, according to Tara Lee, spokeswoman for the governor.

As public health officials review the escalating number of measles outbreaks, some indicate that social media may be a contributing factor to the anti-vaccination movement that is leading to the spread of contagion.

Dawn Nolt, an assistant professor of pediatric diseases at Doernbecher children’s hospital in Portland, said that while measles is only rarely deadly, “it has high consequences” for the short-term health of its victims. She said measles is also highly contagious, and will spread to 90% of unvaccinated people who are exposed to a carrier of the disease.

She has seen an increase in what practitioners call “vaccine hesitancy”, and she added: “I do wonder whether the advent of social media has empowered that anti-vaccine movement.”

Clearly, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington State show that social justice demands conflict with public health needs and common sense.

Pentagon Drops A Bomb — Sends THOUSANDS More Troops to Southern Border (Details)

Reported By | February 3, 2019

President Donald Trump will more likely than not declare a national emergency at the southern border. This means he’ll be able to protect Americans by securing the area.

On Sunday, just before the start of the Super Bowl between the St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots, the Pentagon announced they are sending nearly 4,000 more troops to the border. One has to imagine Speaker Pelosi is up in arms.

As Trump noted at the end of January:

The Pentagon announced Sunday a deployment of about 3,750 troops to the U.S. border with Mexico, as President Donald Trump continues to press the need for stronger border security amid a surge in migrants from Central America.

The additional troops will bring the total number of forces supporting the border mission to approximately 4,350, according to estimates provided by the Department of Defense.

The troop deployment, which was approved by Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan on Jan. 11, will last for 90 days. The border mission includes mobile surveillance capability as well as the emplacement of approximately 150 miles of concertina wire between ports of entry. The Pentagon first approved the deployment of active-duty troops to the Mexico border in October, on the heels of the U.S. midterm congressional elections.

There are a number of reasons President Trump wants to protect America’s southern border. Chief among them, of course, is keeping the American people safe. Aside from not knowing who could be entering the country illegally, border security officials have dealt with sick migrants by the thousands.

One person has a flesh-eating bacteria. Others are “potentially diseased.”

Illegal immigrants stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection are coming sick and potentially diseased, as 2,224 have required hospitalization in the past month, including one with with flesh-eating bacteria, according to reports.

A man detained in a remote New Mexico border area, diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis, a potential fatal infection, was among the thousands requiring hospitalization after being stopped at the border by CBP since Dec. 22.

The 2,224 sick – representing 5.3 percent of those detained at the U.S.-Mexico border in that time – were treated for the flu, parasites, tuberculosis, and pneumonia, according IJR.com.

Without proper border security, people from foreign nations will always be allowed to sneak into America. At least with the adults in charge, the issue is being talked about. When Democrats hold power, this whole fiasco gets swept under the rug because they know they’re increasing their voting block for generations to come.

A group of hundreds recently managed to tunnel under a portion of the border wall in Arizona before turning themselves in.

From Daily Wire:

Border patrol agents in Arizona this week were overwhelmed after the largest caravan of migrants ever to cross into the United States tunneled beneath the border wall near San Luis, Arizona. According to ABC News, the migrants immediately turned themselves into Customs and Border Protection.

US Army To Give Soldiers New 1-Ounce Hidden Weapons That Will Change the Game

Reported By Jack Davis | February 2, 2019 at 7:37pm

Army units will soon be equipped with pocket-sized drones to give them an edge on the battlefield.

The Army has awarded FLIR Systems a $39.6 million contract to provide Black Hornet personal-reconnaissance drones, the company said in a release on its website.

The drones are 6.6 inches long and weigh 1.16 ounces, the company said. They can fly in day or night conditions for up to 1.24 miles. The drones have a maximum speed of 20 feet per second.

The drones can remain airborne for about 25 minutes.

Once the army gets the drones, they will be deployed with a Brigade Combat Team. The location of that team has not been announced.

The drones “will give our soldiers operating at the squad level immediate situational awareness of the battlefield through its ability to gather intelligence, provide surveillance, and conduct reconnaissance,” Army spokesman Lt. Col. Isaac Taylor said, according to Task and Purpose.

The company said that the “nano unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems” are “small enough for a dismounted soldier to carry on a utility belt.”

“The highly capable nano-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems delivered under this contract will support platoon and small unit level surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities as part of the Soldier Borne Sensor (SBS) Program,” FLIR said in a statement.

“We are proud to be selected by the U.S. Army for the SBS Program of Record. This contract represents a significant milestone with the operational large-scale deployment of nano-UAVs into the world’s most powerful Army,” said Jim Cannon, President and CEO of FLIR.

“This contract is a major win for the newly established Unmanned Systems & Integrated Solutions business division at FLIR and demonstrates the strong and urgent demand for nano-UAV technology offered by FLIR. Protecting U.S. warfighters with our unmanned solutions is a key objective for FLIR,” he said.

Cannon has said that having the drones available “represents a key opportunity to provide soldiers in every U.S. Army squad a critical advantage on the modern battlefield,” CNET has reported.

The Marines have tested similar technology, according to the Army Times.  FLIR also recently announced that it would be supplying similar technology to French forces.

Stars and Stripes said that British forces in Afghanistan have used similar devices.

5 Signs Your Church Might Be Heading toward Progressive Christianity

Reported by Alisa Childers AlisaChilders.com

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

Slide 1 of 8

One of the main differences between Progressive Christianity and Historic Christianity is its view of the Bible. Historically, Christians have viewed the Bible as the Word of God and authoritative for our lives. Progressive Christianity generally abandons these terms, emphasizing personal belief over biblical mandate.

Comments you might hear:

  • The Bible is a human book…
  • I disagree with the Apostle Paul on that issue…
  • The Bible condones immorality, so we are obligated to reject what it says in certain places…
  • The Bible “contains” the word of God…

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

2. Feelings are emphasized over facts

Slide 2 of 8

In Progressive churches, personal experiences, feelings, and opinions tend to be valued above objective truth. As the Bible ceases to be viewed as God’s definitive word, what a person feels to be true becomes the ultimate authority for faith and practice.

Comments you might hear:

  • That Bible verse doesn’t resonate with me….
  • I thought homosexuality was a sin until I met and befriended some gay people….
  • I just can’t believe Jesus would send good people to hell….

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

3. Essential Christian doctrines are open for re-interpretation

Slide 3 of 8

Progressive author John Pavlovitz wrote, “There are no sacred cows [in Progressive Christianity]….Tradition, dogma, and doctrine are all fair game, because all pass through the hands of flawed humanity.” Progressive Christians are often open to re-defining and re-interpreting the Bible on hot-button moral issues like homosexuality and abortion, and also cardinal doctrines such as the virgin conception and the bodily resurrection of Jesus. The only sacred cow is “no sacred cows.”

Comments you might hear:

  • The resurrection of Jesus doesn’t have to be factual to speak truth….
  • The church’s historic position on sexuality is archaic and needs to be updated within a modern framework…
  • The idea of a literal hell is offensive to non-Christians and needs to be re-interpreted….

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

4. Historic terms are re-defined

Slide 4 of 8

There are some Progressive Christians who say they affirm doctrines like biblical inspiration, inerrancy, and authority, but they have to do linguistic gymnastics to make those words mean what they want them to mean. I remember asking a Pastor, “Do you believe the Bible is divinely inspired?” He answered confidently, “Yes, of course!” However, I mistakenly assumed that when using the word “inspired,” we both meant the same thing. He clarified months later what he meant—that the Bible is inspired in the same way and on the same level as many other Christian books, songs, and sermons. This, of course, is not how Christians have historically understood the doctrine of divine inspiration.

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

Including the Word “Love”

Slide 5 of 8

Another word that tends to get a Progressive make-over is the word “love.” When plucked out of its biblical context, it becomes a catch-all term for everything non-confrontative, pleasant, and affirming.

Comments you might hear:

  • God wouldn’t punish sinners—He is love….
  • Sure, the Bible is authoritative—but we’ve misunderstood it for the first 2,000 years of church history…
  • It’s not our job to talk to anyone about sin—it’s our job to just love them….

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

5. The heart of the gospel message shifts from sin and redemption to social justice

Slide 6 of 8

There is no doubt that the Bible commands us to take care of the unfortunate and defend those who are oppressed. This is a very real and profoundly important part of what it means to live out our Christian faith. However, the core message of Christianity—the gospel—is that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and resurrected, and thereby reconciled us to God. This is the message that will truly bring freedom to the oppressed.

Many Progressive Christians today find the concept of God willing His Son to die on the cross to be embarrassing or even appalling. Sometimes referred to as “cosmic child abuse,” the idea of blood atonement is de-emphasized or denied altogether, with social justice and good works enthroned in its place.

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

Comments you might hear:

Slide 7 of 8
  • Sin doesn’t separate us from God—we are made in His image and He called us good….
  • God didn’t actually require a sacrifice for our sins—the first Christians picked up on the pagan practice of animal sacrifice and told the Jesus story in similar terms….
  • We don’t really need to preach the gospel—we just need to show love by bringing justice to the oppressed and provision to the needy..

 1. There is a lowered view of the Bible

Conclusion:

Slide 8 of 8

Identifying the signs is not always obvious—sometimes they are subtle and mixed with a lot of truth. Progressive Christianity can be persuasive and enticing, but carried out to its logical end, it is an assault on the foundational framework of Christianity, leaving it disarmed of its saving power.

We shouldn’t be surprised to find some of these ideas infiltrating our churches. Jesus warned us, “Watch out for false prophets” who “come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves” (Matthew 7:15). So if you spot any of these 5 danger signs in your place of worship, it might be time to pray about finding fellowship in a more biblically faithful church community.

This Week’s Ann Coulter Letter: “Who Benefits From Mass Immigration? Not You!”

Commentary by Ann Coulter | Posted: Jan 30, 2019 5:02 PM

Who Benefits From Mass Immigration? Not You!
Assiduous readers of my columns know that I have frequently made the point that America’s immigration policies benefit only three groups of people: 1) rich Americans with a lot of employees, 2) the immigrants themselves, and 3) their grandmothers back in Chiapas.
The money illegal immigrants send out of the country doesn’t come from their low wages. It comes from the taxpayers, who are required to subsidize immigrants so that investment bankers can have cheap nannies. Yes, it is a problem that they couldn’t possibly live on what I pay them, but that’s where YOU come in, taxpayers!

When the rich merely have to pay Social Security taxes on their nannies, they quickly say, Oh, never mind, as we saw in the 1990s, when Bill Clinton’s first two female attorney general nominees had to withdraw because of the illegal aliens raising their kids, and we finally ended up with Janet Reno.

Zoe Baird, the first nominee caught up in Nannygate, promptly fired her illegal alien nanny and chauffeur, Lillian and Victor Corderos, who were deported.

That’s how much the rich love Latino immigrants! As Baird’s spokeswoman, Jamie Gorelick, said at the time: “I think it truly pains them that Lillian has had to pay this price. … They have true affection for her.”

She’s like family!

A cynic might wonder if the beneficiaries of mass Third-World immigration would be so altruistic toward the rest of the world if they were the ones being forced to compete with immigrant workers.

At a time when the working class could have been ginned up to oppose this dump of low-wage workers on the country, the unions lied to them and told them, Don’t worry! This will make the union stronger. Thirty years later, California construction workers who were making $45 an hour are now making $11 an hour.

The entire readership of The New York Times is immune from wage pressure like that. Our immigration policies strictly limit high-skilled immigration, ensuring that there will be no competition for jobs in the executive suite, while foisting a dog-eat-dog, survival-of-the-fittest competition on their employees.

The left has never had to defend the argument that everyone on the planet has a right to come to America, drive down wages, access welfare and force us to educate their children — because rich Republicans like the cheap labor, too.

Seeing what a fantastic deal mass immigration is for the rich, it’s easy to understand why they lie so much about it.
For example, the Cato Institute — funded by the Koch brothers — keeps producing “studies” claiming that immigrants are less likely to be on welfare than Americans. That’s at least counterintuitive.

We’re told day in and day out about the horrible lives of the poor asylum-seekers. They’ll starve if we send them back! Their children have all kinds of health problems, no medical care, no decent food, no roof over their heads! Their neighborhoods are hotbeds of wife-beaters, drugs, murder and gangs! And then: A financial burden to America? No … what makes you say that?

Even if it were true that fewer immigrants were accessing government assistance than American citizens, the number of immigrants who should be on welfare is, wait, checking my notes … yes: ZERO. Why would any country bring in people who immediately need our monetary support? In fact, bringing in poverty-stricken immigrants is a disaster for the welfare programs intended to help our fellow Americans. Fully half of all non-citizens in the United States are on at least one welfare program, according to the (very non-MAGA) Migration Policy Institute.

The only purpose of these Cato “studies” are the headlines, which will be endlessly repeated throughout media without a moment’s reflection. Whether journalists are citing phony studies, phony polls or phony experts, every statement about immigration in the mainstream media is a lie. You always have to look for the trick. Cato’s welfare “studies,” for example, put welfare-receiving children of immigrants — legal and illegal — in the “American” column. This tells us nothing about the soundness of our immigration policy. If the immigrants’ kids need welfare, we’re not bringing in the right immigrants.

Even more preposterous, Cato counts Social Security and Medicare as “welfare.” This is money that was taken by force from working Americans for their entire lives, of which they will get a portion back upon reaching retirement age. Immigrants are collecting welfare that the older Americans didn’t collect when they were the same age. Wait until they retire.

Of course Americans are more likely to be collecting Social Security and Medicare! I refer you to mass-immigration advocates’ usual sneer about white Americans being so much older than young, hardworking — and surprisingly cheap! — Latino immigrants. It’s so obvious that our immigration policies are bankrupting the nation’s welfare programs that I’ve often wondered if this was the intent of the libertarian Koch brothers all along. Burden the entire system until it blows up — and then we can finally return to pre-Great Society America!

Someone needs to tell the plutocrats that their employees are voting, and they aren’t voting libertarian. Heard of Venezuela? Heard of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Heard of California?

The rich’s Third World employees — “natural Republicans,” we’re always told by The Wall Street Journal — turn out NOT to be huge fans of small government. That’s why, instead of being a libertarian paradise, California is a banana republic, running on fumes from Silicon Valley and Hollywood.

As Lenin supposedly said, “Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.” The rich know they want to pay their employees less, and they don’t know anything else.

Same Day Democrat Pushed Late-Term Abortion Bill, She Also Pushed Bill To Save Caterpillars

Reported By C. Douglas Golden | February 1, 2019 at 10:04am

While Gov. Ralph Northam is the Democrat most closely associated with the controversy regarding the Virginia abortion bill which would allow a child to be killed up until more or less the moment of birth, someone had to come up with the legislation. That someone is Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran, who introduced HB 2491, “Abortion; eliminate certain requirements.”

According to the summary, the bill “eliminates the requirement that an abortion in the second trimester of pregnancy and prior to the third trimester be performed in a hospital. The bill eliminates all the procedures and processes, including the performance of an ultrasound, required to effect a woman’s informed written consent to the performance of an abortion; however, the bill does not change the requirement that a woman’s informed written consent be first obtained.

“The bill eliminates the requirement that two other physicians certify that a third trimester abortion is necessary to prevent the woman’s death or impairment of her mental or physical health, as well as the need to find that any such impairment to the woman’s health would be substantial and irremediable,” it continues.

“The bill also removes language classifying facilities that perform five or more first-trimester abortions per month as hospitals for the purpose of complying with regulations establishing minimum standards for hospitals.”

That’s some extremely anti-life stuff. However, on the same day, it’s worth pointing out she did introduce a pro-life bill. I mean, provided that you’re a caterpillar.

TRENDING: Watch Tucker Segment Showing Off Walls Around the World that Democrats Actually Support

On Jan. 9 — the same day that the radical abortion bill was introduced — Tran also introduced HB 2495, which “prohibits localities from spraying pesticides intended to suppress an infestation of the fall cankerworm during the period between March 1 and August 1.”

Well, thank God we’re looking out for the cankerworm, a caterpillar which becomes a gypsy moth.

Tran, by the way, has gotten off of social media now that the controversy over her bill has hit; according to The Daily Caller, she deleted her accounts once the abortion bill became a major issue.

The Virginia GOP, meanwhile, had this to say about it:

Do you think the Democratic Party has become the party of abortion?

Yes No

The great irony of this is that even though this contentious bill may have made Tran decide on radio silence, it didn’t actually receive much play in the media until Gov. Northam decided to go above and beyond what she had proposed.

“When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of the mother, with the consent of physicians, more than one physician by the way, and it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus which is non-viable,” Northam said.

“So in this particular example, if the mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if this is what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physician and the mother.”

So  Gov. Northam appears to be proposing infanticide. (Northam’s people insisted the governor wasn’t talking about termination as an option, something that the context doesn’t support.) Tran believes that killing a baby a few minutes before birth is all right but a few minutes after birth would be murderous.

And she believes caterpillars ought to be protected, too. Don’t forget that.
