Sharia Advisors – Barack Obama’s Muslim Appointees in High Security Positions

http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/04/sharia-advisers-barack-obamas-muslim-appointees/#22YuZGYdB1gqKBgK.99

Just how does one even begin to understand how the President would place people into positions that seem like placing the proverbial Fox in the Chicken Coop? Barack Obama has placed individuals who represent, or are a part of, the Muslim Brotherhood into high security positions. Is this due to the fact that Obama is a Muslim? Is this due to the fact that Obama may think that showing the Muslim community he has placed Muslims in high positions will stop them from hating the United States? Could this be due to his Marxist ideology he developed while at Occidental College? Maybe, just maybe, it is because Obama just does not wish for the United States to be strong and he wants to show the world the United States is not the leader it once was. One thing Obama has shown to the world is that he is not a world leader nor is he an American leader.

Let us get to the people we are talking about and the positions they have been placed in by Obama. We’ll also see what their background is, and how it could ruin the United States. First, we must mention a recent report about a new “Party” being comprised of the same type of individuals that killed all those people in the Twin Towers! This new party is made up of fundamentalist Muslims here in the United States with their main goal being to take over the United States from within. Their plans are to place their candidates into elections to win so they can destroy the Constitution and create a nation of Islamic laws!

These very people we are about to expose are associated with this line of thinking, and the Socialists/Marxists within Congress are showing them the way. The majority of what is contained in this article is backed up by links to sources that that you can read and decide for yourselves whether or not there is a serious Islamic threat to the United States.

Let’s begin our expose.

Muslims in the White House Administration

 Arif Alikhan

Assistant Secretary for Policy Development for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security

  • Former deputy mayor of Homeland Security and Public Safety for the City of Los Angeles
  • Was responsible for derailing the LAPD’s plan to monitor activities within the Los Angeles Muslim community
  • Was appointed as assistant secretary for the Office of Policy Development in Barack Obama’s Department of Homeland Security in 2009
  • Became a Professor of Homeland Security and Counterterrorism in 2010

An opponent of President George W. Bush’s prosecution of the war on Islamic terror, Alikhan was responsible for derailing the LAPD‘s efforts to monitor activities within the city’s Muslim community, where numerous radical mosques and madrassas were known to exist, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.

In April 2009, President Barack Obama‘s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed Alikhan as assistant secretary for DHS’s Office of Policy Development. Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations‘ Los Angeles branch, praised the “well-deserved” appointment.

Thirteen days prior to his DHS appointment, Alikhan, a devout Sunni Muslim, had participated in a Muslim Public Affairs Council fundraiser titled “Be the Change,” to support that organization’s leadership-development programs.

Even the left leaning site Snopes confirms this:

Obama Appoints 2 Devout Muslims to Homeland Security Posts

Obama and Janet Nappy Appoint Devout Muslim to Homeland Security Post,

Arif Alikhan as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development…
Kareem Shora, who was born in Damascus, Syria was appointed by DHS Secretary Napolitano on Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC)

Arif Alikhan, the son of Pakistani immigrants, served for seven years as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles specializing in computer crime, and in November 2006 the mayor of Los Angeles chose him to serve as the Deputy Mayor of Homeland Security for that city. In April 2009, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed Mr. Alikhan to the position of Assistant Secretary for Policy Development in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS):

Arif comes from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa’s office, where he served as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety. As a key adviser to the Mayor, he has led the City’s efforts to develop homeland security, emergency management and law enforcement initiatives, including operational oversight of Los Angeles Police, Fire and Emergency Management departments. He is a former federal prosecutor and senior advisor to the U.S. Attorney General, and has partnered extensively with local, state and federal agencies.

Before serving as Deputy Mayor, Alikhan was a career prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice from 1997-2006. During that time, he served as Chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Crimes Section for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles and as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Attorney General in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw the national Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Program for the Department of Justice. Alikhan holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Was it not men of the “Devout Muslim Faith” that flew planes into U.S. buildings not too long ago? What the heck is this president thinking?

Here we show devout Muslim style people holding posts that have deep inside operations over the “Security” of the United States! Now, one has to wonder why has this happened and what was Obama thinking of when he made these appointments? Is this just a reflection of Obama’s deep inside ideologies, or is this Obama’s way to work out his Marxist ideology he was developed back in 1981?

We must move on to the other 5 individuals with backgrounds deeply embedded with Muslim ideology, and in some cases, links to the very Muslim Brotherhood that is proud to state they wish to destroy the United States. This is the same Muslim Brotherhood that Barack Obama’s brother, Malik, helps to finance and of which the Egyptian media has said Obama is a member. As a side note, one of Barack Obama’s foundations, which was founded by Malik, is tied to terrorism.

Mohammed Elibiary
– Homeland Security Adviser

Now, here we have an individual that is an Islamic Cleric!

  • Islamic cleric
  • Admirer of the late Ayatollah Khomeini
  • Has advised numerous law-enforcement organizations on homeland security-related matters
  • Was named to President Obama’s Homeland Security Advisory Council in 2010
  • Misused classified documents in an effort to promote the notion that “Islamophobia” was widespread

Mohamed Elibiary is a Texas-based Islamic cleric who founded Lone Star Intelligence LLC, a security crisis consulting firm, and the Freedom and Justice Foundation (F&J), a Muslim nonprofit group established in November 2002 to “promote a centrist public-policy environment in Texas by coordinating the state-level government and interfaith community relations for the organized Texas Muslim community.” F&J played a key role in successfully lobbying for the passage of Texas’s Halal Food Law (the state’s first Muslim consumer-protection statute), and for the institution of Islamic prayers (recited by Imams) in both chambers of the State Legislature.(Where are the athieist where this is concerned? JB)

Elibiary was a guest speaker at a December 2004 conference in Dallas, titled “A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary,” which was held in honor of the late Ayatollah Khomeini. When a reporter subsequently asked Elibiary to explain why he had chosen to appear at an event honoring the iconic jihadist, Elibiary claimed not to have known in advance about the conference’s agenda. When journalist Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News voiced skepticism about Elibiary’s explanation, the latter threatened Dreher, telling him: “Expect someone to put a banana in your exhaust pipe.”

In a 2006 letter to the Dallas Morning News, Elibiary defended the profoundly anti-American early Muslim Brotherhood leader and theorist Sayyid Qutb, stating: “I’d recommend everyone read Qutb, but read him with an eye to improving America not just to be jealous with malice in our hearts.”

In October 2011 it was reported that Elibiary had recently been given access to a highly sensitive DPS database (the Homeland Security State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest, or HS SLIC) containing hundreds of thousands of intelligence reports intended solely to aid law-enforcement agencies. In fact, Elibiary was the only Homeland Security Advisory Council member (out of 26) who was permitted to view the HS SLIC.Really 01

In early November 2011, Elibiary’s access to the HS SLIC database was revoked. He retained his post as a Department of Homeland Security advisor, however. In September 2013 he was promoted to senior advisor at the Advisory Council, a title held only by a small number of select members.

In October 2013, Elibiary said: “I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution.” What he meant was that the Constitution and Islamic law reflect the same values and principles.Really 01

On more than one occasion in 2013, Elibiary opined that his close friend, former Holy Land Foundation president and CEO Shukri Abu Baker — who had been convicted in 2008 of financing the terrorist organization Hamas – was, in fact, an innocent victim of political persecution.

Is it any wonder that Obama is seen as a very weak President? Making appointments like this do not help with a firm appraisal of the situation. Elibiary has serious problems engaging in taqiyyah, as evidenced here, here, here and here.

Rashad Hussain

Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)

  • Was named deputy associate counsel to President Barack Obama in 2009
  • Was appointed (by Obama) as a special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference in 2010

In October 2000, Hussain spoke at a conference sponsored by the Association of Muslim Social Scientists and Georgetown University’s Prince Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Titled “Islam, Pluralism, and Democracy,” this gathering featured appearances by numerous leaders of the global Muslim Brotherhood, including such notables as Louay Safi, Jamal Barzinji, Hisham Al-Talib, and Abdul Hamid Abu Sulayman.

In June 2002, Hussain participated in a Congressional Staffers panel at the American Muslim Council‘s (AMC) 11th annual convention. At that time, AMC was headed by the Muslim Brotherhood leader Abdurahman Alamoudi, who would later be convicted and incarcerated on terrorism charges.

In 2003, Hussain was a recipient of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, which was founded by, and named after, George Soros‘s older brother and sister-in-law.Really 01

In January 2009, Hussain — recruited by Cassandra Butts, advisor to (and former Harvard Law School classmate of) President Barack Obama — was named deputy associate counsel to the President. In that position, Hussain focused on issues involving national security, new media, and outreach to the Muslim community. As Obama prepared for his June 2009 trip to Cairo, Hussain helped Ben Rhodes, the President’s principal foreign-policy speechwriter, draft the address that Obama would deliver at Cairo’s Al-Azhar University. According to Hussain, his own input was geared toward emphasizing the contributions that Muslims have made to American society, and clarifying the context behind some passages in the Koran. (I would like someone to tell me what they were? JB)

In August 2010, Hussain took part in an interfaith “bridge-building” trip organized by the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Suhail Khan. Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism pointed out that “two of the Islamic leaders attending the trip … had made anti-Semitic, radical Islamic statements or [had] justified terrorist attacks” on previous occasions.

It should be noted that, notwithstanding his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies, Hussain endorses the use of the term “Hamas terrorists.” Further, he urges Muslim leaders to spread the message that genuine Islam forbids acts of terrorism and extremism. While aiming to “discredi[t] the terrorist ideology,” however, Hussain cautions against efforts to tie that objective to the imposition of democracy on Islamic nations; such efforts, says Hussain, could be perceived by Muslims as manifestations of an imperialistic mindset. Thus, he proposes that the U.S. build a Muslim coalition “not limited to those who advocate Western-style democracy, and avoid creating a dichotomy between freedom and Islamic society.”

Now could one even think of the kind of flack a Republican would garner to have this guy associated with the White House in any way? It has to make one wonder just what is Obama doing? Is he really making a very bold attempt to destroy the United States? Let us continue.

Salam al-Marayati
– Obama Adviser and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council and is its current executive director

  • Founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council
  • Accused Israelis of responsibility for the 9/11 attacks
  • Hamas and Hezbollah sympathizer

Just these 3 things alone should have brought forth questions, but we as Citizens of the United States have been asleep at the wheel and now need to take that wheel away from Obama and all his Islamic, Socialist, Communist, and Marxist friends before we lose our very freedoms. Take a look at this guy’s background.

Salam Al-Marayati is the founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), a Los Angeles-based Islamic advocacy group that defends Muslim extremist violence. MPAC has condemned the anti-terrorism measures of both the U.S. and Israel and has called for a repeal of the Patriot Act.

On the afternoon of September 11, 2001, Al-Marayati used a Los Angeles talk radio program as a forum in which to accuse the Israelis of responsibility for that morning’s attacks on New York and Washington. Al-Marayati has also called for the U.S. government to unfreeze the assets of two Islamic charities, the Global Relief Foundation and the Holy Land Foundation, that were shut down by the government because of funding they had given to terrorist organizations.

Al-Marayati refuses to call Hezbollah a terrorist group. “I don’t think any group should be judged 100% this or that,” he says. “I think every group is going to have . . . its claim of liberation and resistance.” He has similarly justified Hamas‘ existence as a political entity that promotes social programs and “educational operations.” “Yesterday’s terrorists in the Middle East are today’s leaders,” he says. “The PLO is the number one example of this . . . The PLO 35 years ago was considered a terrorist organization, nobody should deal with them . . . But they became the people in authority, in Palestine, today. So Hamas today, the way it’s being viewed, is exactly how the PLO was viewed 30 years ago. And, in fact, even Hamas in terms of its social and educational operations is doing exactly what the PLO was doing 35 years ago, as well as its quote unquote military operations.”Really 01

In October 2010, the Barack Obama administration picked Al-Marayati to represent the U.S. government at the annual Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe human-rights conference, known as the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting.

Now this guy seems to be a real piece of work. He should never be associated with any part of the United States, especially when it comes to advising the president and having any say in domestic or foreign policy.

Imam Mohamed Magid
– Obama’s Sharia Czar from the Islamic Society of North America

This shows a direct link to Obama himself and this guy is a “leader” of a group that does not like the United States Constitution nor its people! But let us show you just who this character is!

  • President of the Islamic Society of North America
  • Accused the Bush administration of waging a “war against Islam and Muslims”
  • Says that media references to jihad as “holy war” constitute a “misuse” of that term
  • Was named to President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2011
  • Persuaded DHS to erase from its “Countering Violent Extremism” curriculum any suggestion that Muslim terrorism draws its inspiration from the laws and doctrines of Islam

Ten days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Magid, angered by what he perceived to be a growing anti-Muslim sentiment among the American people, belligerently told journalists: “We cannot be apologetic about being Muslims in this country … We have a right to be Muslim.”Really 01

In March 2002, federal agents raided the offices of many northern-Virginia-based Muslim organizations, including ADAMS, on suspicion that they were providing material support to terrorists. This initiative, known as “Operation Green Quest,” was the largest investigation of terror-financing ever conducted anywhere in the world. Soon after the raids had been completed, Magid held a public meeting in the town of Sterling, where he encouraged “community building” among the groups that were being investigated. To this meeting, he invited such notables as Kit Gage of the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom; Mahdi Bray, political advisor for the Muslim Public Affairs Council; and Nihad Awad, the pro-Hamas executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Awad told the outraged crowd: “This is a war against Islam and Muslims. Our administration [i.e., the Bush administration] has the burden of proving otherwise.”

Notwithstanding his combative track record, Magid has cultivated, in media and political circles, an image as a moderate Muslim. The Huffington Post, for one, has dubbed him “America’s Imam.” In 2005, Time magazine published a lengthy profile of Magid, likewise depicting him as a voice of moderation who “work[s] closely with the FBI,” “regularly opens doors for [FBI] agents trying to cultivate contacts in his Muslim community,” and “alerts the bureau when suspicious persons approach his congregation.” The Time report, however, angered many of Magid’s Muslim constituents who viewed the FBI as their enemy. Consequently, Magid felt compelled to issue a “clarifying statement” explaining that his meetings with FBI personnel were intended mainly to “convey … that our Muslim community needs to be treated as partners, not as suspects,” and to “work with law enforcement to preserve our civil liberties and civil rights.” Further, Magid emphasized that he and his fellow Muslim leaders did “not use these monthly meetings to report upon the activities of our community members.”

In 2011 President Barack Obama appointed Magid to serve on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Countering Violent Extremism Working Group. In this position, Magid was authorized to train and advise personnel affiliated with the FBI and other federal agencies. He soon became a regular visitor to the White House, and merged as perhaps the most influential and sought-after Muslim authority in the United States. (Does anyone else see the stupidity in this? JB)

In his new DHS role, Magid, claiming that media references to jihad as “holy war” constituted a “misuse” of the term, asked Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez to: arrange for Magid to meet regularly with top Justice Department officials; allow Magid to reeducate FBI agents vis a vis Islam and its practitioners; and carefully avoid criticism of Islam, which Magid characterized as “religious bigotry and hate.” Magid and other Muslim lobbyists also persuaded government officials to ban the practice, at airports, of conducting the extra security checks on passengers traveling from a number of Islamic countries — checks that had been instituted after a Nigerian Muslim tried to blow up a passenger plane on Christmas Day 2009.

In response to pressure from Magid and his fellow lobbyists, DHS carefully erased from its “Countering Violent Extremism” curriculum any suggestion that Muslim terrorism drew its inspiration from the laws and doctrines of Islam. In 2012, the FBI purged some 700 documents and 300 presentations from its training materials and lesson plans. (But, that same material lists Evangelical Christians as radical extremist that need to be watched. JB)

On March 8, 2013, Magid and ten religious leaders met with President Obama for a 90-minute conversation about immigration reform. Also present at the meeting was senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. Three days later, Magid took part in a meeting with Obama where the President listened to “recommendations” designed to help him prepare for his upcoming diplomacy trip to the Middle East.

In addition to his DHS work, Magid has also served with the National Security Council and has been a member of the FBI’s Muslim, Sikh, and Arab Advisory Board.
* Magid is a member of the Peaceful Families Project; the Annual Twinning of Mosques and Synagogues; Fairfax Faith Communities in Action; the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington Assembly; the National Interfaith Planning Committee for Domestic Violence; the Buxton Interfaith Initiative; and the George Mason University Campus Ministry. He is also the chairman of Fairfax County Faith Communities in Action, a board member of the Fairfax County Partnership for Youth, and a board member of the FaithTrust Institute.

* In 2010 and 2011, Magid attended Ramadan Iftar Dinners at the Obama White House.

Is it just us or does it seem that these people shown here do not present the best ideas for a free United States? How in the world could anyone place such individuals in the positions Obama has them in? This makes the United States look weak, giving refuge and high security clearance to people that do not wish the nation any good! However, there is one more individual we wish to expose.

Eboo Patel
– Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships

Now this guy is really out there with all sorts of problems, but where has the Lame stream media been to ask questions about people such as this man? Has our nation lost the drive to ask serious questions and only accept what is doled out to them in spoons of filth? Eboo Patel:

Now this is going to get very interesting, but why has the “Lame Stream Media” overlooked this one?

In 2005 Patel and several young radicals co-authored the book Letters from Young Activists: Today’s Rebels Speak Out. Among Patel’s co-authors were Chesa Boudin (the adopted son of former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers) and Ismail Khalidi (the son of Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi). The book’s Preface was written by Ayers’ wife, Weather Underground co-founder Bernardine Dohrn. The back cover featured an endorsement from the convicted cop-killer and former Black Panther Party member Mumia Abu-Jamal. And on the Acknowledgments page, Patel and his fellow authors thanked Ayers personally for the “guidance” and “encouragement” he had provided.

(Does the title sound a bit like Obama’s book, Dreams of My Father? Maybe Bill Ayers wrote the one for this guy too?)

In Patel’s 2007 book, “Saving Each Other, Saving Ourselves”, the author recounts discussions that he had with Imam Rauf regarding the future of Islam in the United States. “Islam is a religion that has always been revitalized by its migration,” writes Patel. “America is a nation that has been constantly rejuvenated by immigrants. There is now a critical mass of Muslims in America.” The website of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, an organization co-founded by Rauf, once listed Patel as one of the top “Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow.”

In a 2007 interview with National Public Radio to promote his next newly published book, Acts of Faith, Patel was asked about the “affinity” he felt for the radicalism of Bill Ayers, as he described in the book. Noting that “I actually grew up in the same hometown that Bill Ayers did,” Patel replied: “I was kind of taught the same myths about America, a land of freedom and equality and justice, etc., etc. And then, when I got to college, I saw people eating out of garbage cans for dinner, and I saw Vietnam vets drinking mouthwash for the alcohol, and I thought to myself, this is not the myth that I grew up with.” This harsh reality, Patel said, caused him to feel enormous “rage,” and he credited the “faith-based movement” for having helped him “direc[t] that rage in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful—with the Catholic Worker Movement.” “Had [I] been one of the people involved in the Weather Underground who were sitting at my kitchen table when I was 18 years old and raging,” said Patel, “my life could have been very different.”

In late July 2011, Patel spoke at the main event of a three-day convention held by the Muslim Students Association. Specifically, he participated in a panel alongside Tariq Ramadan (grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hasan al-Banna) and Siraj Wahhaj (who was named as a possible co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing).

In 2011 Patel depicted Van Jones, the revolutionary communist who had served several months as President Obama’s “green jobs” czar, as an “American patriot,” a “faith hero,” and one of “the true giants of history.”

Patel is a regular contributor to the Washington Post, National Public Radio, and CNN. He has blogged for the Huffington Post, USA Today, and Sojourners, among other outlets. Moreover, he has served on the Council on Foreign Relations’ religious advisory committee, the Aga Khan Foundation’s national committee, and the Duke University Islamic Studies Center’s advisory board. He is a fellow of the Ashoka Foundation, and has spoken in such major venues as the Clinton Global Initiative and the Nobel Peace Prize Forum.

Now this guy sounds bad. Could you think of what he would have done had he lived and worked with Bill Ayers in the Weather Underground? To have this man as the head of your “Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships” just seems to be extending a hand to the devil himself!

We have shown just a few of the very questionable appointees that Obama has made, and these people should have raised red flags all over the place. The so-called “News Media” should have been on this like flies on sugar, but it appears that the people just do not seem to care or they are apathetic. They just do not want to see what is going on in their own backyard, and even though it is a big one, the entire United States is our back yard.

If we don’t know what is going on in our own back yard, one day we will wake up to Bayonets in our faces, being marched off to camps of reorientation, or worse! If we as a nation do not wake up, and soon, it may well be too late to save the US from the throws of Dictatorship and the caliphate. We know this sounds very critical, but if we do not take a stand as was done in Nevada with Cliven Bundy, we will all lose our freedom.

White House opens door to tolls on interstate highways, removing long-standing prohibition

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/trafficandcommuting/white-house-opens-door-to-tolls-on-interstate-highways-removing-long-standing-prohibition/2014/04/29/5d2b9f30-cfac-11e3-b812-0c92213941f4_story.html

LESLIE E. KOSSOFF/AP – Vehicles travel southbound on Virginia’s Interstate 395 inside the Capital Beltway during rush hour near the King Street exit in this file photo.

With pressure mounting to avert a transportation funding crisis this summer, the Obama administration Tuesday opened the door for states to collect tolls on interstate highways to raise revenue for roadway repairs.

The proposal, contained in a four-year, $302 billion White House transportation bill, would reverse a long-standing federal prohibition on most interstate tolling.

Though some older segments of the network — notably the Pennsylvania and New Jersey turnpikes and Interstate 95 in Maryland and Interstate 495 in Virginia — are toll roads, most of the 46,876-mile system has been toll-free.

“We believe that this is an area where the states have to make their own decisions,” said Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx. “We want to open the aperture, if you will, to allow more states to choose to make broader use of tolling, to have that option available.”

The question of how to pay to repair roadways and transit systems built in the heady era of post-World War II expansion is demanding center stage this spring, with projections that traditional funding can no longer meet the need.

That source, the Highway Trust Fund, relies on the 18.4-cent federal gas tax, which has eroded steadily as vehicles have become more energy efficient.

“The proposal comes at the crucial moment for transportation in the last several years,” Foxx said. “As soon as August, the Highway Trust Fund could run dry. States are already canceling or delaying projects because of the uncertainty.”

While providing tolling as an option to states, the White House proposal relies on funding from a series of corporate tax reforms, most of them one-time revenue streams that would provide a four-year bridge to close the trust-fund deficit and permit $150 billion more in spending than the gas tax will bring in.

The corporate tax reform proposal has gotten a lukewarm reception even from Democrats in Congress, and Foxx emphasized that the administration is open to any counterproposal that wins bipartisan support.

With the trust fund about to run into the red and the current federal highway bill set to expire Sept. 30, Congress cannot — as its members often note — keep “kicking the can down the road.”

Even a temporary extension of the current bill would require them to authorize a transfer of money from the general fund.

Details of the president’s proposal, which he first outlined almost two months ago, were welcomed as a sign of growing momentum toward a resolution, even by those who couldn’t fully embrace his plan.

“While we may not agree with all aspects of the administration’s proposal, we look forward to the continuing dialogue with Congress and the administration on charting America’s transportation future,” said Bud Wright, executive director of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.

Terry O’Sullivan, president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, said the bill helped “advance the discussion” but said a federal gas tax increase should be used to fund it.

“The gas tax remains the most tested and logical way of meeting our critical investment needs,” O’Sullivan said.

“For too long, Congress’s duct-tape approach has made our roads and bridges unsafe, destabilized the construction industry and slowed our economy.”

The federal tax last was raised in 1993 and has not been adjusted for inflation.

Another advocacy group, the nonprofit Transportation for America, spelled out its concerns Tuesday in a report, “The looming financial disaster for transportation.”

The report provided a state-by-state accounting of the percentage of transportation funding that came from Washington. In most cases, it amounted to about half, though some states were far more dependent on federal dollars. (Federal funds accounted for 52 percent of the District’s funding, 49 percent of Maryland’s and almost 59 percent of Virginia’s.)

It also broke down the funding that would be lost by each major metropolitan area without federal revenue, pegging the Washington region’s loss at $424 million.

“Congress has an opportunity to not only save the transportation program, but to recommit to investing in the repairs and improvements our communities and businesses need,” said James Corless, the group’s director.

Corless predicted that most Americans would accept tax increases to fund transportation.

“When people understand where the dollars are being spent, the direct impact to their lives, they support paying their fair share,” he said.

Foxx said the highway trust fund would face a $63 billion shortfall over the next four years.

“What our proposal would do is [use] pro-growth business tax reform to backfill in the highway trust fund,” Foxx said. “We would put that $63 billion back in place to stabilize the highway trust fund, and then the additional $90 billion would be spent on new programs.”

He said the $302 billion bottom line for the proposal would be reached “through a combination of existing taxes that go to the highway trust fund that would equate to $152 billion on their own, and then $150 billion in transitional revenues from pro-growth tax reform.”

The proposal emphasizes a fix-it-first approach that would give funding priority to existing roads, bridges and transit systems rather than expanding their network.

It would expand reforms intended to streamline environmental reviews and project delivery that were begun in the current federal highway bill.

It also would expand popular loan-guarantee programs that have been used by state and local governments to fund projects. The White House plan would almost double funding — from $12.3 billion to $22.3 billion — for transit systems and intercity passenger rail.

In addition, the plan would increase the fine an automaker could face for a safety violation from the current $35 million to $300 million.

Though that proposal is not new, it takes on greater significance amid the debate over General Motors’s delayed recall of 2 million cars with faulty ignition switches that are alleged to have led to at least 13 deaths.

Why Americans must Choose Patriotism over Multiculturalism

AmericanPatrioticStatueOfLibertyWallpaper-06

Based on President Obama’s own words and his subsequent actions we concluded at the time that he was not an American patriot and that he did not love America. Perhaps you remember the controversy early in Obama’s presidency that grew out of his refusal to wear an American flag in his lapel. Conservative media outlets called so much attention to his bare lapels that the president was more or less forced to begin wearing a flag pin, but it never has seemed to suit him. We concluded further that no individual who refuses to profess his love for our country and to demonstrate that love by his actions should be allowed to serve as president. This, by the way, was why our Founders built the citizenship clause into the Constitution. They knew that the fastest way to undermine the form of government they had sacrificed so much to establish and the freedom it affords American citizens would be to allow a closet foreigner who does not love our country to serve as president. This would be like giving a fox the keys to the henhouse.

Owing to the efforts of so-called progressives, by the time Barack Obama was elected president, patriotism had become passé in America. The new watchword was multiculturalism, and progressives who had worked so long to undermine the concept of patriotism now had a friend in high places. President Obama wasted no time in setting a multicultural/anti-patriotism tone for America while simultaneously joining with his fellow progressives to denounce our country by claiming America has much to apologize for and by refusing to acknowledge American exceptionalism. Who can forget seeing an American president bow before Arab leaders who smiled to his face but scorned him and our country behind his back? Who can forget hearing President Obama extolling the virtues of socialist European nations while slamming the United States as if it was some other nation that saved Europe in World War II or rebuilt a bombed-out Europe with the Marshall Plan?

“Patriotism is love of country put into action.”

Patriotism is love of country put into action. We show our patriotism by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, singing the National Anthem, honoring our flag, serving in the military, and protecting the sanctity of the Constitution. If we are immigrants who have adopted America, we show our patriotism by doing the things just mentioned and by learning to speak English, adopting long-standing American customs, and inculcating the best of American values. Mutliculturalism, on the other hand, is love of an individual’s cultural heritage over country. There is nothing wrong with Americans of different cultures honoring those cultures, but there is much wrong with people taking advantage of the freedom and opportunities provided by America while becoming citizens in name only; refusing to learn our language, honor our traditions, or respect our values. Multiculturalism is the antithesis of the melting pot theory.

“American patriotism honors those things that make America exceptional”

It is important that Americans—those born here and those who legally immigrate—choose patriotism over multiculturalism. American patriotism honors those things that make America exceptional:

  • freedom,
  • opportunity,
  • liberty,
  • self-government,
  • equality before the law,
  • and the right to rise up out of meager circumstances regardless of one’s social position at birth.

A desire to have these things is what Americans of all stripes have in common. They are the ingredients that make the melting-pot concept work. Multiculturalism, on the other hand, honors where we came from over where we are now. It keeps us separate by focusing on the language, customs, traditions, and values of where we came from rather than where we are. Multiculturalism says, “I want to enjoy the benefits of America without really becoming an American.  Patriotism leads to the melting pot and common ground. Multiculturalism leads to balkanization and enmity between different cultural groups.

“Patriotism leads to the melting pot and common ground.”

Patriotism does not mean nor has it ever meant that people from different cultures must cast off those cultures and forget where they came from. Growing up I knew many families who had adopted America as their country while still honoring the memories of the country of their forbearers. I have friends now who speak Spanish in their homes, but perfect English when in public. It is one thing to honor one’s cultural heritage. It is quite another to honor one’s cultural heritage to the exclusion of one’s adopted heritage. Patriotism can bring Americans of all stripes together by giving us something in common that transcends cultural differences. Multiculturalism just separates us into divisive clans with nothing in common

US Still Buying 90 Russian Helicopters for Afghanistan in Spite of Sanctions against Russia

America builds some of the best helicopters in the world, a number of which are used by the military.  My favorite is the AH-64 Apache which was built in my hometown of Mesa, Arizona for a number a years.  At one time there wasn’t a day go by that I didn’t see at least one Apache helicopter being test flown in the area.  Originally built by McDonald Douglas, the Apache became the property of the Boeing Company after a merger of the two companies and then Boeing sold off McDonald Douglas.

There are a variety of other US made helicopters that are used by our military as gunships, troop transports, equipment transport and medical evacuation.  All toll, the manufacturing of these helicopters creates jobs for thousands of Americans and helps the US economy.

So when the United States started pulling out of Afghanistan and promised to purchase 90 military helicopters for them to use to defend themselves with, you would expect the Pentagon to award the contract to an American helicopter company, wouldn’t you.

But that’s not the case.  Instead of helping the US economy and job market, our faithful and loyal Pentagon decides to purchase 90 Russian made helicopters.  Not only is a multi-billion contract being awarded to a Russian company, but so is the more than a billion contract for parts and maintenance.

In the wake of the sanctions that President Obama is trying to impose on Russia, the purchase of Russian helicopters is still on.  Former US Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) and former Chairperson of the House Intelligence Committee, said it seems to be defeating purpose of the sanctions to go through with the sale.

Appearing on Newsmax TV’s America’s Forum, Hoekstra told host JD Hayworth, former US Rep from Arizona:

“Wrong. They’re buying Russian helicopters for the Afghan military, and the interesting thing about helicopters is that they’re high-maintenance. So, not only are we buying about a billion dollars’ worth of Russian helicopters, but we’re also providing the Russian military industrial complex, the people that build these helicopters, we’re providing them with maintenance contracts that are multiple numbers of this one billion.”

This deal to purchase Russian helicopters for Afghanistan has been in the works for a couple years.  Congress tried to stop the deal because of Russia’s involvement with Syria, but Obama just bypassed the congressional appropriations restrictions and went ahead with the deal.  Hoekstra commented further on this saying:

“Obama just forgot about those restrictions and went beyond them.”

“So now we’ve got the Russians in Syria, we’ve got them in Ukraine, they’re creating mischief all over the place, and we’re buying Russian helicopters to give to the Afghans and the biggest promoter of this is the U.S. Pentagon.”

Hoekstra then pointed out that since Obama eliminated NASA’s shuttle and Constellation programs that all of our astronauts and satellites have to rely on Russia to launch them into space.  What kind of sense does it make to have Russia launching our spy satellites for us?

Hoekstra added:

“Are we sanctioning those companies? Canceling these purchases? Did we cancel the purchase of these helicopters? Absolutely not.”

“You just wonder why wouldn’t the Pentagon go out right now and say, ‘We’re sorry, the balance of the helicopter contract is cancelled’? On one hand, we’re saying sanctions, on the other hand we’re buying lots of Russian products that are fueling and enriching the very people that we’re trying to sanction, it makes no sense.”

“I don’t think you go after one person here.  The Obama administration, you know, on foreign policy, on national security issues, they leave a lot to be desired.” (See actual interview below)

 russia

Remember during the 2012 presidential campaign when Obama kept accusing Romney of sending jobs overseas?  Isn’t his bypassing Congress to spend billions on Russian helicopters along with their maintenance even worse?  Obama didn’t send jobs overseas, he just ignored American companies and workers all together.  And now that we are placing sanctions on Russia for their actions in the Ukraine, I hope Congress has the cajonies to do what’s right and stop the purchase.  Why should we borrow money from China in order to buy helicopters for Afghanistan? Let the Afghans buy their own helicopters.

George Will: Tea Party an ‘Enormous Benefit’ to Both the GOP and the Country

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/30/george-will-tea-party-an-enormous-benefit-to-both-the-gop-and-the-country/

George Will

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and political commentator George Will was interviewed this week by the Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein. One of the topics discussed was the Tea Party movement in America, its roots and its impact (see video below).

Will was asked by Weinstein, “Do you believe the Tea Party is a significant force in Republican politics, or has their power waned significantly?”

“The Tea Party is a huge force. In some ways, more of a force than ever,” Will answered, while pointing out that Tea Party candidates haven’t won every election they’ve entered, but judging them exclusively on wins and losses “is not the proper metric” to judge the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution movement’s success, said Will.

“The Tea Party could have gone off and stayed out of the party system,” Will explains. “It could have been a third party,” but instead threw it’s “energy and intensity” into the Republican Party, the two components Will contends ultimately win elections. Will makes the case that the Tea Party has been good for both the Republican Party and the country as a whole, and that he’s “very pro-Tea Party”:

“It came into the Republican Party and brought an enormous energy and intensity. Energy and intensity at the end of the day wins elections. The Tea Party has been, on balance, an enormous benefit,

A) to the Republican Party because of the energy, but,

B) to the country, because the Tea Party’s message is to recover the vocabulary of constitutionalism and limited government, and the connection between the Declaration [of Independence] and the Constitution,

so I’m very pro-Tea Party.”

Will rightly goes on to point out that the Tea Party was born out of being appalled with the growth of government and government spending under George W. Bush and a disgust with Republican behavior between 2001-2009, rather than a confined reaction to Barack Obama, a common misconception about the movement.

9 Racist Things that Big Democrats Have Said and the Media Has Forgotten

With all this racism talk going around… I think it’s important that we reflect on some of the most horribly racist quotes that Democrats have dropped… and that the media has forgotten about… in the past couple of years.

In a time when we still hear about Dan Quayle misspelling the word potato, you would think that these quotes would’ve been even more memorable… From Hillary to Joe to Bill and Barack… they’ve all had fantastically horrible things to say about other races… but the media conveniently forgets about these quips…

Let’s take a walk down the ignorant left’s racism lane shall we?

1 – Hillary Clinton when she was a Senator:

“I love this quote. It’s from Mahatma Gandhi. He ran a gas station down in St. Louis for a couple of years. Mr. Gandhi, do you still go to the gas station? A lot of wisdom comes out of that gas station”

2 – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in a 2010 interview with journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann in which he said that Barack Obama would be successful in his Presidential thanks to being “light-skinned” and speaking “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

3 – Former South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Dick Harpootlian referring to Gov. Nikki Haley’s Indian parents and heritage,

“In about 18 months from now, hopefully [Gubernatorial candidate Sen. Vincent Sheheen] will have sent Nikki Haley back to wherever the hell she came from and this country can move forward.”

4 – Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel when taking a question from Robin Gandhi, an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska and a man of Indian descent:

“You’re not a member of the Taliban, are you?”

5 – Vice President Joe Biden talking the entrepreneurial immigrants that enter our country and run 7-11’s and Dunkin Donuts:

“You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking!”

6 – Who can forget when Al Sharpton reminded us how white people lived in caves and greek people were all gay:

“White folks was in the caves while we [blacks] was building empires … We built pyramids before Donald Trump ever knew what architecture was … we taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.” Source: Discover the Networks

7 – That time President Obama caught his grandmother being a “typical white person,” whatever that means…

“The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn’t know, you know, there’s a reaction that’s been bred in our experiences that don’t go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that’s just the nature of race in our society.” Source: US News

8.  Not to leave out old ‘Slick Willie,’ here’s a great quote about Obama from former President Bill Clinton,

“A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee,” Source: NY Daily News

9 – And of course my personal favorite was of Joe Biden about Barack Obama

“I mean you’ve got the first sort of mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and nice-looking guy.”

Now imagine a Republican saying any of those… I bet that would be a heck of a lot of fun for the media now wouldn’t it?

Can you think of any more racist remarks from Democrats?  Let us know by commenting below.

rangel013 020414 Rangel: Tea Party Does Not Believe the Union Won Civil War (Video)

During the Congressional Black Caucus’ special order hour on the House floor Monday night, Rep. Charles B. Rangel hammered the tea party not only for embracing the Confederate flag, but also for hating President Barack Obama “as much as their [Dixiecrat] predecessors probably hated Abe Lincoln.”

“[In] some parts of the United States of America they don’t believe that the Union won. The reason I come to that conclusion is that … I have never seen so many Confederate flags that represent groups that are proud of the fact that they call themselves the Tea Party,” the New York Democrat said during his 10-minute floor speech, referring to an event he attended with President Ulysses S. Grant’s great-great-grandson. “They’re from that part of the country that the states owned slaves.” Really 01

Rangel, the second most senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus, has pushed the White House to do more to combat poverty and inequality. The Senate recently passed an extension of unemployment benefits and there are new signs  the House may take up legislation on an immigration overhaul.

Benghazi emails suggest White House aide involved in prepping Rice for ‘video’ explanation

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/04/29/benghazi-emails-suggest-white-house-aide-involved-in-prepping-rice-for-video/?intcmp=HPBucket

More than 100 pages of documents were released to the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Among them was a Sept. 14, 2012, email from Ben Rhodes, an assistant to the president and deputy national security adviser for strategic communications.

The Rhodes email, with the subject line: “RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 pm ET,” was sent to a dozen members of the administration’s inner circle, including key members of the White House communications team such as Press Secretary Jay Carney.

In the email, Rhodes specifically draws attention to the anti-Islam Internet video, without distinguishing whether the Benghazi attack was different from protests elsewhere.

The email lists the following two goals, among others:

“To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.”

“To reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.”

The email goes on to state that the U.S. government rejected the message of the Internet video. “We find it disgusting and reprehensible. But there is absolutely no justification at all for responding to this movie with violence,” the email stated.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said the documents read like a PR strategy, not an effort to provide the best available intelligence to the American people.

“The goal of the White House was to do one thing primarily, which was to make the president look good. Blame it on the video and not [the] president’s policies,” he said.

The Rhodes email was not part of the 100 pages of emails released by the administration last May — after Republicans refused to move forward with the confirmation of John Brennan as CIA director until the so-called “talking points” emails were made public.

The email is also significant because in congressional testimony in early April, former deputy CIA director Michael Morell told lawmakers it was Rice, in her Sunday show appearances, who linked the video to the Benghazi attack. Morell said the video was not part of the CIA analysis.

“My reaction was two-fold,” Morell told members of the House Intelligence Committee, regarding her appearances. “One was that what she said about the attacks evolving spontaneously from a protest was exactly what the talking points said, and it was exactly what the intelligence community analysts believed. When she talked about the video, my reaction was, that’s not something that the analysts have attributed this attack to.”

Incidentally, three leading Republicans on Monday night sent letters to the House and Senate foreign affairs committees asking them to compel the administration to explain who briefed Rice in advance of the Sunday talk shows and whether State Department or White House personnel were involved.

“How could former Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, during the five Sunday talk shows on September 16, 2012, claim that the attacks on our compounds were caused by a hateful video when Mr. Morell testified that the CIA never mentioned the video as a causal factor,” said the letter, from Sens. Lindsey Graham, of South Carolina; Kelly Ayotte, of New Hampshire; and John McCain, of Arizona.

The Sept. 14 Rhodes email does not indicate whether there was a “prep call” for Rice, as it suggests. If the call went ahead, it does not indicate who briefed her.

National Security Council spokesperson Bernadette Meehan played down the Rhodes email, telling Fox News in a statement: “There were protests taking place across the region in reaction to an offensive internet video, so that’s what these points addressed. There were known protests in Cairo, Sanaa, Khartoum, and Tunis as well as early reports of similar protests in Benghazi, which contributed to questions of how the attack began…. These documents only serve to reinforce what we have long been saying: that in the days after September 11, 2012, we were concerned by unrest occurring across the region and that we provided our best assessment of what was happening at the time.”

The statement did not address Fox News’ specific questions asking whether White House personnel, particularly Rhodes, briefed Rice before the Sunday shows, and what intelligence Rhodes relied on when he referred to the video.

The newly released emails also show that on Sept. 27, 2012 a Fox News report — titled “US officials knew Libya attack was terrorism within 24 hours, sources confirm” — was circulated at the most senior levels of the administration. This included going to then-deputy national security adviser Denis McDonough; then-White House counterterrorism adviser John Brennan; Morell; and Rhodes, among others, but the comments were redacted, citing “personal privacy information.”

Israel risks becoming apartheid state if peace talks fail, says John Kerry

LURCH: John Kerry Compares Israel To An Apartheid State

It is believed to be the first time a US official of Kerry’s standing has used the term ‘apartheid’ in the context of Israel

The Guardian, Monday 28 April 2014

The US secretary of state, John Kerry, has warned in a closed-door meeting in Washington that Israel risks becoming an “apartheid state” if US-sponsored efforts to reach an Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement fail.

In an apparent sign of Kerry’s deep frustration over the almost certain collapse of the current nine-month round of peace talks – due to conclude on Tuesday – he blamed both sides for the lack of progress and said failure could lead to a resumption of Palestinian violence against Israeli citizens.

The remarks were made on Friday at the Trilateral Commission, a non-governmental organisation of experts and officials from the US, western Europe, Russia and Japan. A recording was acquired by the Daily Beast website.

Kerry also suggested that a change of either Israeli or Palestinian leadership might create more favourable conditions for peace and the final, long-delayed agreement on the shape of a Palestinian state.

Aftewards, as a public storm grew around the remarks, Kerry issued a statement regretting the use of the word apartheid, saying it had opened him to “partisan political” attacks.

“If I could rewind the tape, I would have chosen a different word,” he said.

Israeli leaders had made similar points in the past but “apartheid [is] a word best left out of the debate here at home”, Kerry said.

Regardless of the apology, Kerry’s remarks represent a significant departure, as senior US officials historically have avoided the word “apartheid” relating to Israeli policies. It is believed to be the first time a US official of Kerry’s standing has used the contentious term in the context of Israel, even if only as a warning for the future.

The Emergency Committee for Israel, whose chairman is the prominent neo-conservative William Kristol, said: “On Friday secretary of state John Kerry raised the spectre of Israel as an ‘apartheid state’. Even Barack Obama condemned the use of this term when running for president in 2008. It is no longer enough for the White House to clean up after the messes John Kerry has made. It is time for John Kerry to step down as secretary of state, or for President Obama to fire him.”

Although the danger to Israel of a failure to move towards a two-state solution has been framed by Israeli politicians in terms similar to those used by Kerry, US officials have long been wary of following suit. When the former president Jimmy Carter used it for the tile of his 2006 book Palestine: Peace or Apartheid it caused controversy.

Kerry’s comments reflect similar recent warnings to Israel from western diplomats that the collapse of the peace talks might lead to the country’s increasing isolation.

Kerry said: “A two-state solution will be clearly underscored as the only real alternative. Because a unitary state winds up either being an apartheid state with second-class citizens – or it ends up being a state that destroys the capacity of Israel to be a Jewish state.

“Once you put that frame in your mind, that reality, which is the bottom line, you understand how imperative it is to get to the two-state solution, which both leaders, even yesterday, said they remain deeply committed to.”

Kerry has had a sometimes strained relationship with some senior Israeli officials as the peace talks have become gridlocked. In January Israel’s defence minister, Moshe Ya’alon, described Kerry as “obsessive and messianic”.

In 2008 in an interview during his election campaign, Barack Obama explicitly rejected “injecting a term like apartheid” into the discussion over Israel and Palestine. “It’s emotionally loaded, historically inaccurate, and it’s not what I believe,” he said.

Attempting to defuse the row, Jen Psaki, spokesperson for the US state department, said: “Secretary Kerry, like justice minister Livni and previous Israeli prime ministers Olmert and Barak, was reiterating why there’s no such thing as a one-state solution if you believe, as he does, in the principle of a Jewish state.

“[Kerry] was talking about the kind of future Israel wants and the kind of future both Israelis and Palestinians would want to envision. The only way to have two nations and two peoples living side by side in peace and security is through a two-state solution. And without a two-state solution, the level of prosperity and security the Israeli and Palestinian people deserve isn’t possible.”

Crime of apartheid

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The crime of Apartheid is defined by the 2002 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court as inhumane acts of a character similar to other crimes against humanity “committed in the context of an institutionalized regime of systematic oppression and domination by one racial group over any other racial group or groups and committed with the intention of maintaining that regime.”

On November 30, 1973, the United Nations General Assembly opened for signature and ratification the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid.[1] It defined the crime of apartheid as “inhuman acts committed for the purpose of establishing and maintaining domination by one racial group of persons over any other racial group of persons and systematically oppressing them.”

Israel and the apartheid analogy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Israel and the apartheid analogy is a comparison between Israel‘s treatment of the Palestinians and South Africa‘s treatment of non-whites during its apartheid era.[1]

The analogy has been used by scholars, United Nations investigators, human rights groups and critics of Israeli policy, some of which have also accused Israel of committing the crime of apartheid.[2][3] Critics of Israeli policy say that “a system of control” in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, including Jewish-only settlements, the ID system, separate roads for Israeli and Palestinian citizens, military checkpoints, discriminatory marriage law, the West Bank barrier, use of Palestinians as cheap labour, Palestinian West Bank enclaves, inequities in infrastructure, legal rights, and access to land and resources between Palestinians and Israeli residents in the Israeli-occupied territories resembles some aspects of the South African apartheid regime, and that elements of Israel’s occupation constitute forms of colonialism and of apartheid, which are contrary to international law.[4] Some commentators extend the analogy, or accusation, to include Arab citizens of Israel, describing their citizenship status as second-class.[12]

Opponents of the analogy claim that the comparison is factually,[13] morally,[13] and historically[14] inaccurate and intended to delegitimize Israel.[1][15][16][17] Opponents state that the West Bank and Gaza are not part of sovereign Israel. Though the internal free movement of Palestinians is heavily regulated by the Israeli government, the territories are governed by the elected Palestinian Authority and Hamas leaders, so they cannot be compared to the internal policies of apartheid South Africa.[18][19] In regards to the situation within Israel itself, critics of the analogy argue that Israel cannot be called an apartheid state because unlike the South African that was explicit about its racial segregation policies, Israeli law is the same for Jewish citizens and other Israeli citizens, with no explicit distinction between race, creed or sex.[23] However, others believe that even if Israeli law does not make explicit distinction between categories of citizens, in effect and consequence it privileges Jewish citizens and discriminates against non-Jewish, and particularly Arab citizens of the state.[24] [25] [26]

My Own Two CentsYou must remember that there never has been a “Palestinian” indigenous people. They are people who were driven out of Saudi Arabia because they made an attempt to assonate the Royal family. The “SQUATED” in Israel after England abandoned the territory.

Israel is God’s inheritance to His people, Israel. The Palestinians DO NOT BELONG THERE.

Who gave anyone the authority to tell a sovereign nation that they have to share their land with squatters?

BLS: In 20% of American Families, No One Works

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/ali-meyer/bls-20-american-families-no-one-works

April 28, 2014 – 3:30 PM

(CNSNews.com) – In 20 percent of American families in 2013, according to new data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), not one member of the family worked.

A family, as defined by the BLS, is a group of two or more people who live together and who are related by birth, adoption or marriage. In 2013, there were 80,445,000 families in the United States and in 16,127,000—or 20 percent–no one had a job.

The BLS designates a person as “employed” if “during the survey reference week” they “(a) did any work at all as paid employees; (b) worked in their own business, profession, or on their own farm; (c) or worked 15 hours or more as unpaid workers in an enterprise operated by a member of the family.”

Members of the 16,127,000 families in which no one held jobs could have been either unemployed or not in the labor force. BLS designates a person as unemployed if they did not have a job but were actively seeking one. BLS designates someone as not in the labor force if they did not have a job and were not actively seeking one. (An elderly couple, in which both the husband and wife are retired, would count as a family in which no one held a job.)

In 20% of American Families, No One Works-1

Of the 80,445,000 families in the United States in 2013, there were 7,685,000—or about 9.6 percent—in which at least one family member unemployed.

The BLS has been tracking data on employment in families since 1995. That year, the percent of families in which no one had a job was 18.8 percent. The percentage hit an all-time high of 20.2 percent in 2011. It held steady at 20 percent in in 2012 and 2013.

The data on employment in families is based on Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey of the civilian noninstitutional population, which includes people 16 and older, who are not on active duty in the military or in an institution such as a prison, nursing home or mental hospital.

Racism in the Tea Party? Actor, Comedian Jim Labriola Delivers National Tea Party Address

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/28/racism-in-the-tea-party-actor-comedian-jim-labriola-delivers-national-tea-party-address/

April 28, 2014 By

Jim_Labriola

Actor and comedian Jim Labriola, most famous for his role on the hit series, Home Improvement, delivers this week’s National Tea Party Address (watch video below).

Touring with the Tea Party Express  on the “Fighting for Liberty” bus tour, Labriola speaks candidly about the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution Tea Party movement, saying that attending the rallies,”makes me proud to be an American.”

Speaking about the demonization the movement has been subjected to, being unfairly and without warrant smeared as racist, Labriola said:

“It upsets me because you hear all these complaints on the news that the Tea Party people are racist and homophobic, and they’re all these (makes scary sounds) horrible things. And I’ve got to tell you something [mainstream media]. Why don’t you shut up and come out there [to a Tea Party rally] and look for yourself and see the nicest people you’ll ever neet in your life.”

Labriola explains that he’s attended Tea Party rallies with the Tea Party Express  for five years and that his involvement with the movement has been a “life changing experience.” Labriola has observed that a high percentage of people at Tea Party events are veterans, everyone is well-behaved, and that when a rally is over, the “park is cleaner than when they got there.”

Labriola says people involved in the Tea Party movement are, “just good Americans, coming out in a country they totally believe in, seeing it go the wrong way,” a belief Labriola admitted to also sharing.

Labriola says that the racism charges flung against the Tea Party movement is completely unfounded, and that he’s seen none of it. He goes on to chastise the mainstream media for not reporting the many minority leaders in the movement, including the ones he’s met while participating in the Tea Party Express  bus tour now taking place across the nation.

Speaking about liberal bias in Hollywood, Labriola jokes about being “popular in the 90′s,” referring to his role in Home Improvement,  and says that being a conservative now in Hollywood can cost you your job.

TPNN EXCLUSIVE: J.D. Winteregg on Firing – ‘Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death….’

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/28/boehner-primary-opponent-j-d-winteregg-on-firing-give-me-liberty-or-give-me-death/

J.D.-Winteregg

J.D. Winteregg

When J.D. Winteregg made the decision to enter the world of politics, he was warned. His decision to run for Congress wasn’t for an open seat. Campaigning would pit him directly against Republican House Speaker John Boehner in the May 5th primary to represent Ohio’s 8th congressional district. He was warned by some in the Republican establishment that if he ran against Boehner, he would never work in Ohio again. Now, he has experienced that those words were more than just an empty threat.

In mid-April, the Winteregg campaign released an anti-Boehner web ad entitled “Electile Dysfunction.” The ad went viral online with over a quarter of a million YouTube views. Everyone ranging from every day bloggers to conservative talk radio legends Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, and others were talking about it. But, not everyone was excited about the ad, as J.D. Winteregg would learn. SEE “Electile Dysfunction” ad below:

ED ad

In response to his anti-Boehner web ad, “Electile Dysfunction,” J.D. Winteregg was fired from his position as an adjunct professor at Cedarville University in Ohio.

“Give me liberty or give me death. You can have a few jobs along the way if necessary.” That was J.D. Winteregg’s response to his firing from Cedarville University in Ohio.

J.D.’s candidacy has garnered the support of both national and local Tea Party groups as well as influential conservative bloggers including Doug Ross and Jen Kuznicki.  Both the Tea Party Leadership Fund PAC and the Frederick Douglass Republicans have endorsed his candidacy against Boehner. The focus of Winteregg’s career so far has been in teaching French at both the high school and college level. An unconventional candidate, this is his first political race.

His connection to Cedarville University runs deep. He not only studied for a few semesters there, he also helped develop the online course for French as an adjunct professor over the last 3 years. At no point during his time at Cedarville was he ever reprimanded. So, it came as a surprise when he received a phone call a few days after the release of his web ad, “Electile Dysfunction.”

When I spoke with J.D., he couldn’t recall the name of the superior who called him. While firings are typically done face-to-face, the university official who gave him the news was actually out of town, so he called Winteregg instead. According to his account, the university specifically cited the ad against Boehner as their reason for not renewing his contract at the end of the semester.

While J.D. acknowledges that there is no paper trail that links Boehner to his termination from employment, he did note that some warned him upon entering the race that he’d never work in Ohio again if he proceeds with his candidacy.

That, however, did not give Winteregg any pause in his campaign. He said he truly thought that the veiled warning was just typical fear mongering in an attempt to convince him not to go up against a powerful incumbent. However, in this case, that warning has become a reality.

When asked if he has any plans to take any legal action against the university, Winteregg said that he does not. He said a decision such as the one made by the university is all part of the free market process adding, “Something like this happening is a fact of life. These things happen and I respect the decision of Cedarville, which is a private, Christian school (I do not recall anywhere in scripture where Jesus instructed us to treat a brother-in-Christ this way, especially as part of a political revenge. I question the sincerety of this schools testimony of being a Christian school. JB) I accept that I am the one taking the hits. It is the least I could do for my country. Give me liberty or give me death. You can have a few jobs along the way if necessary.”

Despite his job loss, Winteregg, who also teaches at a local high school, said that his termination gives him additional time to focus on Boehner and work even harder to oust him from office.

The ‘controversial’ web ad, “Electile Dysfunction” was released on April 13th. Although Winteregg learned of his termination two days after the ad’s release, he made the decision not to say anything about it (Class act. JB). It wasn’t until news about his termination somehow got out that he made the decision to speak out about it. He chose not to initially discuss Cedarville’s decision to terminate his contract because he didn’t want that to serve as a distraction from the real goal, which is to unseat John Boehner.  (Again, Class act. JB)

To his supporters, J.D. Winteregg said on his Facebook page, “For the record, we are not accusing the Speaker of using his influence to make this happen…and we’d rather not even have to post about this distraction. J.D. would prefer to have a substantive debate on the issues that affect Ohio-8 voters, but Boehner has chosen to avoid debates and Town Hall forums. The primary is May 6th. We hope you’ll support the candidate who is out listening to voters and earning their trust.”

(Let’s pray for this guy. Boehner has to go. He is NOT representing his district based on anything close to being a Constitutional Conservative. JB)

Violence flares in Ukraine, deepening ‘Iron Curtain’ crisis; America’s Astronauts Threatened

http://news.yahoo.com/us-reviving-iron-curtain-policies-russia-094611975.html

A man waves a Russian flag as pro-Russian activists break a window to enter the regional administration building in the eastern Ukraine city of Lugansk, on April 29, 2014

Lugansk (Ukraine) (AFP) – Fresh violence erupted in eastern Ukraine Tuesday as thousands of pro-Russian protesters stormed key buildings, escalating the crisis after Moscow hit back at “Iron Curtain”-style Western sanctions.

Related Stories

A mob spearheaded by around 30 men carrying Kalashnikov assault rifles and grenade-launchers attacked the regional police headquarters in Lugansk, raising the heat in the worst East-West confrontation since the Cold War.

They had earlier seized the regional prosecutors’ office, tearing down the Ukrainian flag and replacing it with that of Russia, which the West blames for stoking the violence in the ex-Soviet Republic.

More than a dozen towns and cities in the east have now fallen to pro-Russian rebels, who see the Western-backed leaders in Kiev as illegitimate “fascists” and want either independence or outright accession to Russia.

“It’s good what the young people are doing. We don’t want this Nazi junta that has seized power in Kiev. We don’t recognise them. I want my children and grand-children to grow up in Russia,” one retired engineer told AFP as he surveyed the violence in Lugansk.

As police failed to quell the violence and in some cases stood by, interim president Oleksandr Turchynov lashed out at what he called “inaction” and in some case “treachery” by law enforcement bodies on the ground.

He urged “Ukrainian patriots” in the region to sign up for police duty to counter the pro-Moscow insurgency that threatens to tear his country apart.

The latest unrest in Lugansk followed Monday’s terrifying scenes in nearby Donetsk, where pro-Russian thugs armed with baseball bats, knives and fireworks attacked a pro-Ukrainian demonstration, wounding several in what Washington’s ambassador to Ukraine called “terrorism, pure and simple”.

– Boomerang –

As the situation on the ground descended further into chaos, the war of words between Moscow and the West continued, with Russia saying the United States was resorting to “Iron Curtain” policies with its new sanctions unveiled on Monday.

“Sanctions are always a boomerang which come back and painfully hit those who launch them,” said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, according to the Interfax news agency on a visit to Crimea, which Russia annexed in March.

On a visit to Russia’s Cold War ally Cuba, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the sanctions lacked “all common sense”.

US moves to restrict high-tech exports to Russia appeared to cause particular fury, with Rogozin warning Washington was “exposing their astronauts on the ISS”.

The International Space Station is operated jointly by Russia, the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada.

Astronauts and cosmonauts depend on Russian Soyuz rockets to ferry them between it and Earth, ever since NASA scrapped its space shuttles in 2011.

A Russian deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, said in an interview with online newspaper Gazeta.ru that the US curb on high-tech exports was a “blow”.

“This is a revival of a system created in 1949 when Western countries essentially lowered an ‘Iron Curtain’, cutting off supplies of high-tech goods to the USSR and other countries,” he said.

Moscow also lashed out at the European Union for “doing Washington’s bidding” as the bloc included General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the general staff of the Russian armed forces and the country’s deputy defence minister, on a list of 15 Russians and Ukrainians targeted by an asset freeze and travel ban.

And it vowed that Japan’s decision to deny visas for 23 Russian nationals “will not be left without a response”.

The EU and Japanese blacklists are part of a G7 sanctions assault started by Washington on Monday with measures announced against seven Russian officials and 17 companies close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

– ‘Downward spiral of violence’ –

As the EU’s top foreign policy official, Catherine Ashton, voiced alarm at “the downward spiral of violence and intimidation” in Ukraine, fears persisted of an imminent Russian invasion.

NATO said there were no indications that the tens of thousands of troops massed on the Ukrainian were pulling back, as announced by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu in a telephone conversation with his US counterpart Chuck Hagel.

Shoigu reiterated that Moscow had no plans to invade its neighbour and urged Washington to dial down its rhetoric over the crisis.

But Hagel called for an end to Russia’s “destabilising influence inside Ukraine” and warned more pressure would be applied if it continued.

Hagel also asked for Moscow’s help in securing the release of the seven OSCE inspectors held by pro-Russian militants in Slavyansk.

The local rebel leader in Slavyansk, Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, said “good progress” was being made in negotiations with the OSCE to free the men. But an OSCE negotiator gave a firm “no comment” to reporters.

The secretary general of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Lamberto Zannier, was in Kiev to supervise the tractions.

Kiev’s soldiers are surrounding Slavyansk in a bid to prevent reinforcements reaching militants there.

The fresh Western sanctions are a response to Russia’s perceived failure to implement an April 17 deal struck in Geneva to defuse the crisis by disarming militias and having them vacate occupied public buildings.

“Russia has so far failed to implement any part of the Geneva agreement,” said British Foreign Secretary William Hague, who plans to visit Ukraine as well as Moldova and Georgia next week.

Among those targeted by the US sanctions is the president of Rosneft, Russia’s top petroleum company and one of the world’s largest publicly traded oil companies.

The EU said talks with Russia and Ukraine will take place in Warsaw Friday to try to resolve a $3.5-billion gas bill Gazprom calculates Kiev owes. Putin has threatened to cut off the gas flow to Ukraine if it is not quickly paid.

Ukraine and EU countries dependent on Russian gas, meanwhile, were worried Moscow’s reprisals could hit the vital energy supply.

The crisis has accelerated since February, when Ukraine’s Kremlin-backed president Viktor Yanukovych was forced to flee after months of increasingly bloody mass street protests by pro-Western demonstrators.

The “Tyranny Twins”; President Barack Obama and Attorney General of the United States, Eric “I’ll-enforce-the-laws-I-like” Holder

Tyranney Alert

If two Democratic lawmakers have their way, Barack Obama’s Justice Department will submit a report for action against any Internet sites, broadcast, cable television or radio shows determined to be advocating or encouraging “violent acts.”

This according to the text of a new bill from Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 “would create an updated comprehensive report examining the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation and create recommendations to address such crimes,” stated a news release from Markey’s office.

The one-page bill, reviewed by WND, calls for the Justice Department and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights to “analyze information on the use of telecommunications, including the Internet, broadcast television and radio, cable television, public access television, commercial mobile services, and other electronic media, to advocate and encourage violent acts and the commission of crimes of hate.”

The bill does not define which actions by broadcasters would be considered to have encouraged violence, seemingly leaving that open to interpretation. (Of course it doesn’t define anything. They leave those details to be defined as they go along and when it fits their twisted agenda. JB)

Once the report is compiled, the bill calls for “any recommendations” for action “consistent with the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States” that is determined to be an “appropriate and necessary” way to address the purported encouragement of violent acts.

The Boston Herald took issue with the bill, calling it “frankly chilling” that Markey is seeking to “empower an obscure federal agency to begin scouring the Internet, TV and radio for speech it finds threatening.”

“Perhaps he could crack a briefing book on the crisis in Ukraine rather than looking for his own extra-constitutional methods of punishing speech he finds unacceptable,” added the Herald editorial.

CANDU Nuclear Power Plant at Qinshan, China

For the past several months, a friend of mine has been telling me about the potentially game-changing implications of an obscure (at least to me) metal named Thorium after the Norse god of thunder, Thor.

Last week, scores of thorium boosters gathered in the United Kingdom to launch a new advocacy organization, the Weinberg Foundation, which plans to push the promise of thorium nuclear energy into the mainstream political discussion of clean energy and climate change. The message they’re sending is that thorium is the anti-dote to the world’s most pressing energy and environmental challenges.

So what is the big deal about thorium? In 2006, writing in the magazine Cosmos, Tim Dean summarized perhaps the most optimistic scenario for what a Thorium-powered nuclear world would be like:

What if we could build a nuclear reactor that offered no possibility of a meltdown, generated its power inexpensively, created no weapons-grade by-products, and burnt up existing high-level waste as well as old nuclear weapon stockpiles? And what if the waste produced by such a reactor was radioactive for a mere few hundred years rather than tens of thousands? It may sound too good to be true, but such a reactor is indeed possible, and a number of teams around the world are now working to make it a reality. What makes this incredible reactor so different is its fuel source: thorium.

A clutch of companies and countries are aggressively pursuing Dean’s dream of a thorium-powered world.

Lightbridge Corporation, a pioneering nuclear-energy start-up company based in McLean, VA, is developing the Radkowsky Thorium Reactor in collaboration with Russian researchers. In 2009, Areva, the French nuclear engineering conglomerate, recruited Lightbridge for a project assessing the use of thorium fuel in Areva’s next-generation EPR reactor, advanced class of 1,600+ MW nuclear reactors being built in Olkiluoto, Finland and Flamanville, France.

In China, the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited and a clutch of Chinese outfits began an effort in mid-2009 to use thorium as fuel in nuclear reactors in Qinshan, China.

Thorium Resource Potential

Thorium is more abundant than uranium in the Earth’s crust. The world has an estimated 4.4 million tons of total known and estimated Thorium resources, according to the International Atomic Energy Association’s 2007 Red Book.

The most common source of thorium is the rare earth phosphate mineral, monazite. World monazite resources are estimated to be about 12 million tons, two-thirds of which are in India.  Idaho also boasts a large vein deposit of thorium and rare earth metals.

Thorium can be used as a nuclear fuel through breeding to fissile uranium-233.  For those technically-inclined readers, here is a geek-friendly explanation of what that means:

Although not fissile itself, Th-232 will absorb slow neutrons to produce uranium-233 (U-233)a, which is fissile (and long-lived). The irradiated fuel can then be unloaded from the reactor, the U-233 separated from the thorium, and fed back into another reactor as part of a closed fuel cycle. Alternatively, U-233 can be bred from thorium in a blanket, the U-233 separated, and then fed into the core.

In one significant respect U-233 is better than uranium-235 and plutonium-239, because of its higher neutron yield per neutron absorbed. Given a start with some other fissile material (U-233, U-235 or Pu-239) as a driver, a breeding cycle similar to but more efficient than that with U-238 and plutonium (in normal, slow neutron reactors) can be set up. (The driver fuels provide all the neutrons initially, but are progressively supplemented by U-233 as it forms from the thorium.) However, there are also features of the neutron economy which counter this advantage. In particular the intermediate product protactinium-233 (Pa-233) is a neutron absorber which diminishes U-233 yield.

I have no idea whether thorium is the panacea many people claims it is likely to be, but I believe we’ll be hearing more about it in the years to come.

Sorensen: What do you think about Thorium?  I am among the many Forbes readers I believe are eager to know what you think.  So?

Bundy Ranch: DoD Approved Drone Strike? OathKeepers Evacuating?

My Own Two CentsI have no idea how true the following article is, nor do I have the ability to vet it as much as I would like. I respect Freedom Outpost, and have never found Dean Garrison to report hearsay. So as you read the following, please keep what I just said in mind.

If in fact this is a real threat, and the Bureau of Land Management can order such a strike, it would indeed touch off a civil war. Is that what the Obama Administration wants. I happen to think so.

Please join me in prayer about this.

Reported by

Last week, we printed a short article with a report from a concerned Patriot in Bunkerville. The gentleman was concerned that a mole was in their midst and seeking to turn supporters against each other. The latest report I got was that, whether a mole is present or not, paranoia seems to be setting in rapidly. Paul Joseph Watson reported last week that some idiots were taking to twitter to suggest a drone strike on the Bundy Ranch. Who would have thought that we would be seriously talking about that this week?

Again, I am going to keep my source secret until given the green light. The man I have been talking to is somewhat high profile and giving any clue of who he is might cause him problems. Here is the latest email I received:

Things at camp bundy are deteriorating quickly. Bundy has taken charge of things, or his bodyguard Ryan. They are now running oathkeepers out and bringing in militia to train under the “Bundy Flag”. Oathkeepers received a call 2 nights ago telling them there was an imminent drone strike and to clear out. Turns out they were bringing militia in as they left. A couple of fist fights actually broke out and weapons were drawn.

1 of 2 things is happening. The spook inside this thing is trying to break apart the biggest most organized “militia” on the scene or Cliven Bundy is trying to form an army for whatever reason.

I don’t know, this thing is taking on weirdness that is hard to explain. It has done serious damage to the oathkeepers ranks, some of the best and brightest have already left.

If this is how easy it is to break us up can we ever fight them on any front??

Scary indeed.

Drone strikes? Oath Keepers leaving?

Those are some serious developments. Despite the fact that I have a lot of faith in my source I had to check this out.

I found several sources were reporting that Oath Keepers were, in fact, being warned of a possible drone strike. That does not mean that such strike was actually authorized or even discussed. The Liberty Beacon reports:

Stewart Rhodes, Founder of Oath-Keepers, responds – They are treating it just like they would a bomb threat in a school, and attempting to confirm and also contact the Governor of Nevada. There is talk of evacuation. Leslie Bishop Paul: “Here is the complete interview with Stewart Rhodes. Yes, our sources …have been told that the DOD has approved a drone strike on the ranch. We do not know if this is to get people worked up enough to clear out, or if they actually intend to proceed. Please listen to the complete interview to understand what was said, how we are approaching this, how it was vetted, etc ~ Leslie, National FB Coordinator for Oath Keepers.” MAKE THIS VIRAL !!!

Please watch this video …

 video

TLB: This strike reported to take place in the next 48 hours would be the straw that broke the camel’s back to the liberty movement and Many of the American people … Can even our government be that stupid (I would like to believe not), or is this intended to facilitate violence from us to bring about a martial law scenario … We know their motto is “Never let a good crisis go to waste” … So is this disinformation to get the boots on the ground to evacuate the scene so that BLM people can move in Waco style, or is it absolute bull to have us put out false info and destroy our credibility.

First and foremost I have to say that I don’t believe that our government is ready to go there. That is my opinion. However, if they were looking to separate the wheat from the chaff, a rumor of a drone strike would be a good way to start. If people are really running at the suggestion of a drone strike then it would appear that they were not ready to die after all. With that said, I don’t know how many left and how many are still there.

It am not trying to pile on, but just to give you an idea… From the Trenches reported:

Wade called in from Bunkerville and reported that Stewart Rhodes and his Oath Keepers received a tip suggesting an imminent drone strike on the Bundy Ranch. Oath Keepers ran from the scene like frightened children.

The people in Bunkerville need to remain strong. Whether it is Harry Reid’s “domestic terrorists” comment or rumors of a drone strike that may or may not be real, the people need to understand that the enemy will get into their heads any way they can.

This is not a game. Though I doubt that drone strikes on American soil are in the near future, the threat of force must be expected. I’m not sure what people are thinking.

Anyone who wants to defend the Bundy Ranch needs to understand that they could die there. Raising panic within the ranks is not helping anyone. If people ran because of this information or misinformation, then they likely don’t need to be there.

That’s just the opinion of a guy who is sitting in front of a keyboard. So take it for what it’s worth. I would like to think I would have stayed in a similar situation, but there is nothing worse than a back seat Patriot.

I do know that this is not the same statement of strength that has been coming from Bunkerville and if more militia and a more concrete chain of command are what it will take to fix it, then that has to be done.

48 hours have passed since this story first surfaced and there has been no drone strike. I won’t say there is not one coming, but I know how it looks from here. If I had a drone, and intended to strike, I wouldn’t be announcing it.

For all of those who are currently in Nevada or have spent any time there at all… Thank You for standing up for America.

Please pray for the Patriots who are standing for us

Woman Who Wanted Abortion to Star on TV Show Rejects Abortion After Feeling Her Baby Kick

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/04/28/woman-who-wanted-abortion-to-star-on-tv-show-rejects-abortion-after-feeling-her-baby-kick/

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 4/28/14 10:11 AM

The aspiring glamor model in England who said she wants to get an abortion so she can star on a reality television program has rejected abortion and decided to keep her baby. Josie Cunningham, 24, is a mother of two but wanted to abort her third baby so she could appear on Big Brother.

josiecunningham5“This time next year I won’t have a baby. I’ll be famous instead,” she said at the time..

Now, after seeing an ultrasound, she has rejected an abortion.

“I felt baby kick and couldn’t go through with it,” she says.

From a report:

But her unborn child had other ideas. Today Josie, 23, reveals how it literally kick-started doubts that she was doing the wrong thing – and made her flee in tears moments before signing in for her abortion at a private clinic.

“I just couldn’t do it,” sobbed young mum Josie. “I really thought I would be able to but I couldn’t. I’d felt the baby kick for the first time 24 hours earlier and I couldn’t get that feeling out of my head.

“I’d forgotten what the feeling was like. It was magical. It was like the baby was telling me not to go through with it.

“I was in the taxi driving to the clinic and felt physically sick. I was shaking. When the driver told me we were a minute away I burst into tears. I wanted to throw myself out of the moving car to get away. I had my hands on my bump and I had the strongest feeling I couldn’t let anyone take my baby away.”

Cunningham also talked about the public scorn and criticism she’s faced over the international story she’s caused and made it appear the stir was a publicity stunt.

“Hundreds of people I’d never met me told me I was a vile, evil human being but I didn’t care. Some said I deserved to be murdered and others threatened to throw acid in my face. Some of the things they were saying were far more sick than my choice to have a termination.”

“But I kept telling myself I must be doing something right because at least everyone knew my name. I had 13,000 Twitter followers overnight – I didn’t care if they hated me. I’ve been hated all my life by bullies at school and then by the public over my boob job. People are going to hate me, so at least I was getting famous in the process.”

But Josie, who now expects to give birth at the beginning of October, forgot all about her dreams of fame the day before she was due to have the abortion. She says: “I was on the way back from the school run with my boys and as I sat in the car I suddenly felt a big kick in my tummy.

“It took me totally by surprise. Before that I had only felt little butterfly-like feelings. This was a real boot. I never imagined how hard it would be to have an abortion after that.

“It’s one thing taking a pill and ending things early on but when you see an elbow or a foot moving across your bump that’s something else. It was more powerful than anything the trolls said to me.”

ATTENTION VOTER ID OPPONENTS: 44,000 Additional Bogus Voters Discovered in Virginia

 http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2014/04/attention-voter-id-opponents-44000.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Guest post by Kenric Ward

RICHMOND, Va. – A crosscheck of voter rolls in Virginia and Maryland turned up 44,000 people registered in both states, a vote-integrity group reported Wednesday.

And that’s just the beginning.

“The Virginia Voters Alliance is investigating how to identify voters who are registered and vote in Virginia but live in the states that surround us,” Alliance President Reagan George told the State Board of Elections.

George acknowledged that the number of voters who actually cast multiple ballots is relatively small. In the case of Maryland and Virginia, he revealed that 164 people voted in both states during the 2012 election.

But George said his group will expand their search for duplicate voters in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Georgia.

“We are also determining the best way to identify non-citizens who have registered to vote and may have voted in past elections,” George said.

Working with the Privileges and Elections committees of the state House and Senate, VVA identified 31,000 dead voters via the Social Security Administration’s Death Master File. Subsequent processing by SBE found 40,000 to 60,000 dead voter registrations.

“Dead voter registrations are prime targets for voter fraud which generate few complaints,” George noted.

Appearing with Clara Belle Wheeler of the Albemarle County,Va., Election Board and Jay DeLancy of the North Carolina Voter Integrity Project, George challenged the SBE to:

  • Tighten Virginia’s voter ID law that allows absentee voters to use mailed ballots without affirming their identity.
  • Check the 50,000-plus patient beds in Virginia nursing homes and rehab centers amid reports of voting irregularities there.
  • Require proof of citizenship to register to vote. Kansas and Arizona require this.
  • Annually audit felons who are not allowed to vote.

“Certain nonviolent felons, especially those who commit voter fraud, should never be given back their right to vote,” George said.

More broadly, George said, “Virginia must control the registration process, as well as the form used to register voters. The current system is the perfect vehicle for identity theft and ‘lost’ registrations.”

“There needs to be a clearinghouse for all voter fraud referrals statewide,” he said. “The SBE would be the perfect place to assume that role and provide transparency for the public.”

DeLancy and Wheeler urged the board to open its voter-crosscheck data to the public and to publicize cases of voter fraud.

DeLancy said groups that downplay or dismiss the incidence of ongoing voting irregularities use “pretzel logic.”

“If prosecutors don’t prosecute, there’s no ‘crime,’” he noted.

The three-member state board — controlled by Republicans until the end of the year — took VVA’s recommendations under advisement.

Left’s Push for Adult-Child Sex

By J. Matt Barber

michael-eganShocking allegations by former child actor Michael Egan against openly “gay” “X-Men” director and producer Bryan Singer have stunned Hollywood into relative silence. I say “relative silence” because, unless he’s a Catholic priest, the relativist left’s false narrative is that a “gay” man is always the victim and never the victimizer.

Nonetheless, this latest episode has once again shined the spotlight on the long-established link between the homosexual lifestyle/movement and pedophilia – a link that, despite “progressive” denials to the contrary, is hiding in plain sight.

Egan has filed suit against Singer and several other high-profile Hollywood figures for homosexually assaulting him and other boys repeatedly at several “‘infamous‘ coke and twink pool parties” back when Egan was 15 and Singer was 32. (In the “LGBT” vernacular “twinks,” also called “chicken,” are highly sought-after underage boys used for sex by adult “gay” men.)

Egan’s claims eerily mirror those of former child actor Corey Feldman who similarly alleged last year that such homosexual abuse is rampant, even systemic, in Hollywood.

But are these allegations really that shocking? Regrettably, the overwhelming weight of the evidence indicates that the abuse runs rampant well beyond just Hollywood.

To be sure, not all homosexuals are pedophiles. Yet a grossly disproportionate number of them are. I don’t write this to be insensitive, “hateful,” intolerant or “homophobic.”

It’s “just the facts, Ma’am.”

Consider, for instance, a study published in the left-leaning Archives of Sexual Behavior of over 200 convicted pedophiles and pederasts. It found that “86 percent of offenders against males described themselves as homosexual or bisexual.” This demonstrates, as notes Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council, that “homosexual or bisexual men are approximately 10 times more likely to molest children than heterosexual men.”

This makes perfect sense when coupled with another 2001 study in the same peer-reviewed publication. It found that nearly half of all “gay”-identified men who participated in research were molested by a homosexual pedophile as boys: “46 percent of homosexual men and 22 percent of homosexual women reported having been molested by a person of the same gender. This contrasts to only 7 percent of heterosexual men and 1 percent of heterosexual women reporting having been molested by a person of the same gender.”

The connection between homosexual abuse and “gay identity” is undeniable. Although clearly not all “gay”-identified men and women abuse children, or were abused as children, the verifiable reality is that an alarmingly high percentage of them do and were. As with most forms of abuse, the cycle is both circular and vicious.

“Born that way?” Not so much. “Made that way?” Sadly, it appears so.

But of equal concern is the fact that many of the most prominent “LGBT” activists across the globe have either overtly endorsed, or given their implicit approval of, what the left euphemistically calls “intergenerational intimacy” (read: child rape).

(DID YOU REALLY GET THAT? LET’S READ THAT AGAIN; “LGBT” activists across the globe have either overtly endorsed, or given their implicit approval of, what the left euphemistically calls “intergenerational intimacy” (read: child rape).)

Take “marriage equality” activist Peter Tatchell, for instance. The GLAAD-affiliated blog “GoodAsYou” glowingly describes Tatchell as a “noted British rights activist.” He’s “one of the most widely respected leaders of the international LGBT movement” one of the blog’s commenters gushes.

Here’s what “widely respected” and “noted rights activist” Tatchell thinks of child rape. He wrote the following in The Guardian, one of the U.K.’s premier newspapers:

“The positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feel they were abused. … [I]t is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.”

Or remember Kevin Jennings, President Obama’s “safe school czar” and founder of the sexual extremist group GLSEN?
Wrote the Washington Times of Jennings in 2009:

“A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an ‘older man.’ At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obama’s ‘safe school czar.’ …

“In this one case in which Mr. Jennings had a real chance to protect a young boy from a sexual predator, he not only failed to do what the law required but actually encouraged the relationship.”

Jennings later lied about the encounter until audio surfaced of him bragging on it. “I looked at [the boy],” he quipped, “and said, ‘You know, I hope you knew to use a condom.’”

Still, this pattern of homosexual abuse and facilitation of such abuse by the “LGBT” movement is nothing new.

Take Jennings hero Harry Hay. Hay is considered the “founding father” of the modern “gay rights” movement. Among other things, he has been honored as an “icon” for “LGBT History Month” by the entire homosexual activist community.

Not surprisingly, Hay was a child rape enthusiast and avid supporter of the pedophile North American Man/Boy Love Association, or NAM/BLA. In 1983, while keynoting a NAM/BLA event, Hay said the following:

“It seems to me that in the gay community the people who should be running interference for NAM/BLA are the parents and friends of gays. Because if the parents and friends of gays are truly friends of gays, they would know from their gay kids that the relationship with an older man is precisely what 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old kids need more than anything else in the world.”

Or take “LGBT” martyr Harvey Milk, a sexual predator known to have statutorily raped, repeatedly, a drug-addicted, teenage, runaway boy. Milk’s punishment?;

The Obama administration just awarded him an honorary USPS postage stamp.

Am I the only one who sees the pattern here? Has the goddess of “tolerance” really driven the world completely blind with madness?

If consistency holds, and these allegations against Bryan Singer prove true (the evidence suggests they well may), I’ll wager he ends up with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the next keynote at the annual HRC Gala.

I’ll also wager that, either way, we’ll soon begin seeing more “intergenerational sex” aficionados “coming out of the closet.”

Welcome to the bottom of the slippery slope.

ANTI-ISLAM: THE ONE AND ONLY CHOICE

http://clashdaily.com/2014/04/anti-islam-one-choice/#71EVIGpxAvfjXSWI.99

By / 28 April 2014

When one examines Islam’s full body of work–which includes the recent bombing of a crowded bus station in Abuja, Nigeria (90 dead and 124 injured)–one can only conclude that it is an insidious and savage ideology born in the mind of a 7th century psychopath.
Every facet of Islam’s dogma is a direct affront to human sensibilities. From its misogynistic practices (genital mutilation, child marriage and honor killings) to its macabre hatred of Jews and Christians (Sura 9:5 and 9:29)–Islam is a cesspool of unconscionable evil.

And that is why I doggedly believe the one and only choice (when it comes to Islam) is to be anti-Islam.

I present the following questions to any and all who might disagree with such a choice:

>>>How can one possibly read (and hear) reports from such organizations as Liberty Great Britain and the English Defense League concerning the “Muslim rape Gangs” that sexually assault and torture English girls (some as young as nine) and not be anti-Islam?

>>>How can one view the videos on Bare Naked Islam of Christians clerics being beheaded by Syrian rebels (while waving the Koran in the air) and not be anti-Islam?

>>>How can one peruse the reports on Clash Daily concerning the “honor killings” of young innocent girls and not be anti-Islam?

>>>How can one read the recent account by Middle East Scholar Raymond Ibrahim about a six year-old Egyptian boy who was raped by a member of one of the most nefarious organizations ever spawned by the Prophet Mohammed (the Muslim Brotherhood) and not be anti-Islam?

>>>How can one even glance at the photos published by Before It’s News of a young Christian girl that was not only raped–but also eviscerated by Syrian rebels as they shouted “Allah Akbar”–and not be anti-Islam?

>>>How can one study the “Siege of Constantinople” (with its unparalleled carnage and brutality meted out by Muslim invaders) and not be anti-Islam?

Sadly, the legions gleefully drinking from the Obama teat of political correctness will stridently reject the premise that being anti-Islam is the one and only choice. And it is this pathetic gaggle of misfits and cowards that–even when presented with a cornucopia of facts–continue to call Islam a religion of “peace.”

As for me–anti-Islam is the one and only choice.

The Obamacare Question That Has Democrats Terrified

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/04/27/The-Obamacare-Question-That-Has-Democrats-Terrified

With just 191 days until the Nov. 4 midterm elections, nervous Democrats are scrambling to find an effective answer to the Obamacare question they may fear the most: “Where is the $2,500 in health insurance savings President Obama and Democrats promised me?”

As the video below demonstrates, President Barack Obama promised numerous times that Obamacare would cut the typical American family’s health insurance premiums by $2,500 per year.

2500

Indeed, the question has already stumped Democratic lawmakers. During a February town hall in Mankato, Minnesota, one citizen asked Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Rep. Tim Walz (D-MN) about the $2,500 Obamacare promise.

“I thought the Affordable Care Act would save $2,500 per family. What happened?”

Klobuchar and Walz sat stunned and silent before laughing at the citizen’s question.

stunned

Obamacare has been in effect for over four years but remains deeply unpopular. That means the $2,500 Obamacare question could become the 2014 equivalent of President Ronald Reagan’s famous question: “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”

The overwhelming majority of Americans are facing health insurance premium hikes, not savings. On Thursday, Aetna, America’s third-largest health insurer, announced that customers can expect 2015 premium spikes that in some states will be “over double digits.”

Recent polls show that nearly one in five voters (19%) say a congressional candidate’s position on Obamacare will be the “single most important factor” determining who they will vote for. Worse for Democrats, the all-important Independent voter bloc supports anti-Obamacare candidates by a 25% margin (54% to 29%).

Vulnerable Democrats may worry that last year’s Politifact “Lie of the Year” by President Obama – “If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan” – may come back to haunt them. However, with the sluggish U.S. economy and bleak jobs outlook weighing heavily on voters, the “Where is the $2,500 in savings Democrats and Obama promised me?” question may hit even more voters closer to home

Col. Allen West Endorses Convention of States Project

http://conventionofstates.com/col-allen-west-endorses-convention-states-project/

Mark Meckler

“The US Constitution was written placing restraints upon the federal government. Today, the federal government is growing beyond all bounds ever imagined by the founders. This is something I clearly experienced being a Member of the 112th Congress. However, the founding fathers realized this could be an issue in the future and enabled States the power to restrain and put the federal government back in the Constitutional box,” he said.

“Thank goodness the founders had the wisdom to provide us with Article V of the Constitution, which gives us the right and power to hold an Amending Convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to restrain the scope and power of the federal government. When you look at the fiscal irresponsibility of the federal government a proposal for a federal balanced budget amendment is ideal to be taken up by the State’s legislatures, as many sovereign States have balanced budget amendments. Under the system of federalism, I support the efforts to gather a constitutional Convention of States consistent with Article V and honoring the 10th Amendment.”

Mark Meckler, President of Citizens for Self-Governance and co-founder of the Convention of States Project, welcomed West’s endorsement. “No one is more familiar with grassroots success in reining in the federal government than Colonel Allen West. We’re excited Colonel West decided to endorse the last, best chance to preserve liberty in America, and we look forward to working with him as we fight to halt the abuses of Washington, D.C.”

West is currently a Fox News Contributor, a Senior Fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, and regularly writes for numerous media outlets. He is also the author of a new book, Guardian of the Republic.

Teacher Confiscates Bible from 2nd Grader

http://lastresistance.com/5549/teacher-confiscates-bible-2nd-grader/#HJAw2uhHsjpf3WVo.99

Posted By Dave Jolly on Apr 26, 2014

Why is it that teachers seem to be so uneducated about the trampling of the rights of their students?  If they paid any attention to the media, they would see a plethora of cases where teachers were found to be wrong when they exerted their personal agenda and violated the constitutional rights of students.  They expect students to learn what’s going on in the world around them so why aren’t the teachers practicing what they preach?

This rant is prompted by yet another teacher violating the constitutional and First Amendment rights of a second grade student at Hamilton Elementary School in the Houston suburb of Cypress, Texas.

During a ‘read to myself’ time in class, a second grade girl was reading her favorite book, the Bible.  When the teacher saw her, she took the Bible away from the girl.  The parents of the girl contacted the Liberty Institute instead of contacting the school directly.  They have asked that their identity be protected for fear of retaliation of some sort.

When attorneys with the Liberty Institute contacted the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, school officials informed all district employees that it is okay for students to read their Bibles during independent reading time.

Michael Berry, Senior Counsel with the Liberty Institute said that the school library where the incident took place contains copies of the Bible for students to check out and read, prompting him to ask:

“So if it’s appropriate for their own library, why on Earth would it not be appropriate for their own students?”

One parent who has a child attending the school, Jennifer Muse commented about the incident when she heard the news:

“They are letting them read the Hunger Games, that’s kids killing kids, why can’t she read the Bible.”

However, another parent, obviously a liberal Democrat believes the teacher responded appropriately because of the so-called separation of church and state.  This demonstrates just how much some people have been brainwashed by anti-Christian liberals.

First off there never was a separation of church and state and secondly, the First Amendment gives the student the right to read her Bible on her free time without school or teacher interference.  I suspect that the teacher involved was either ignorant of the law or had her own personal anti-Christian agenda.  Unfortunately, there are many of both kinds of teachers in the public schools and more times than not they are getting away with it.

This is another reason why I believe that every teacher should be required to take a course or courses in constitutional law so that they know what is and isn’t allowed before they ever set foot in a classroom.  Then ignorance would no longer be an excuse and teachers who try to push their own personal agenda on their students can be singled out and dealt with accordingly.

My Own Two Cents

With all the incidents happening in various parts of America, I tend to believe that this was personal, and a private agenda of this teacher. When has it ever been acceptable for any teacher, at any level, to push their own personal agenda onto their students? This is a primary reason what State run schools have become Hitler’s type of schools. The Leftist are following his design of growing a nation of children that are brainwashed to the will of the Self-Appointed; Liberal; Leftist; Marxist; Socialist; Communist; Social-Engineering; radical-Left extremist who are determined to recreate the United States into their twisted, philosophical design.

This is one patriot that will fight them every step of the way.

Let’s start by depicting it as a picture  book.  Aha … mischief afoot?  No, but as education keeps  dumbing down, there may be many who haven’t yet learned to  read…or won’t, and pictures tell it more succinctly.

Starting by describing today’s American Army.  Just a photo of  rainbow helmeted, battle weary, arm-in-arm same sex compatriots.  Just back from a demanding same-sex “wedding.”  Somewhere down  the line – maybe this won’t even be alphabetically arranged – an  explanation, in pictures, of “land grabbing,” showing Russia’s  excursion into Crimea. American freedom will be displayed by storm troopers “visiting” the Bundy Ranch, shooting his cattle.  Pro-choice could be worked into this – theirs, not his.  But that  adds to the culture change.  In fact, culture will be mangled by  a photo of a gang of teens with their pants hanging down to about ankle level.  But, back to pro-choice; need more descriptions of  this one.  Pro-choice is not universal; only a few can have it.  A pro-choice description must show an x’d out Bible along with a
large “welcoming sign” at your friendly local abortion “clinic.” Did I say something wrong?

Ok, let’s keep this publication as a work in progress.  Justice  has taken on a new meaning lately, so we need a child’s drawing  for this one.  A child removed by school authorities accompanied by some well-armed local police, for actually drawing a picture  of a GUN!  A further explanation would follow showing him  studying in his back yard for the next three years after his expulsion.  Of course, this one could also double as “Education, American Style.”

Next comes politics.  This shouldn’t be at the end of the line but this is going to be a big, big book.  It may even find its way into the library, but not freely; it might take up precious room on the shelf with the recommended latest pornography – heaven forbid.  Ok, politics involves voting.  Picture explanations of “America at the Polls” must include the freedom to vote.  The picture-book explanation for this (no words needed)
would be a delicious photo of the civically-minded Black Panthers “guarding” your polling place.

The IRS (Internationally Recognized Scam) could be depicted as a Jimmy Hoffa lead-pipe enterprise … with the expropriated loot  being dribbled down to a Solyndra Taj Mahal.  And, of course, this description would be severely lacking without an  illustration of 535 pols plus 2, with their hands in other peoples’ pockets.  Congress … no good explanation for this one.

This new dictionary would, of course, find its place right along with the Devil’s Dictionary.  But probably more useful.

Obama’s Dirty Watchdogs

Obama's Dirty Watchdogs

The president’s Chicago bullies have defanged true advocates for integrity in government in D.C. from day one. So the latest report by the Senate Homeland Security and Government Operations Committee on corruptocrat Charles K. Edwards, the former Department of Homeland Security inspector general, isn’t a revelation. It’s confirmation.

Investigators found that Edwards compromised the independence of his office by socializing and sucking up to senior DHS officials. “There are many blessings to be thankful for this year,” the sycophantic Edwards wrote to the DHS acting counsel on Thanksgiving 2011, “but one of the best is having a friend like you.” Geez, get them a room.

Whistleblowers outlined how Edwards cozied up to multiple DHS execs and legal staffers, who directed him to alter reports on immigration enforcement, TSA screening and the Secret Service’s dalliances with prostitutes in Argentina. Edwards failed to obtain independent legal analysis of ethics issues. The IG counsel was cut out of the loop. Edwards ordered reports to be doctored or delayed. He failed to recuse himself from audits and inspections that had conflicts of interest related to his wife’s employment.

The probe among DHS employees also discovered that Edwards’ apparent retaliatory actions against staff dissenters “contributed to an office environment characterized by low morale, fear and general dissatisfaction with Mr. Edwards’ leadership.”

The Obama White House was quite happy, however. The administration installed this 20-year career bureaucrat as acting DOJ senior watchdog despite the fact that he had zero experience conducting audits, investigations and inspections — the three fundamental duties of an inspector general. They got exactly what they needed: A do-nothing, know-nothing, toothless lackey.

Edwards’ main non-accomplishment was carrying water for the Obama corruptocracy as he dithered on the internal investigation of Alejandro Mayorkas, who was confirmed late last year as the No. 2 official at Homeland Security. As I’ve previously reported, veteran internal whistleblowers told Capitol Hill about fraud, reckless rubber-stamping and lax enforcement under Mayorkas’ tenure as head of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Put on your shocked faces: The DOJ’s IG probe into Mayorkas’ role on fast-tracking visas for wealthy Chinese investors on behalf of GreenTech — the crony company with ties to Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton’s other brother, Anthony — has yet to be completed after more than a year.

Former DHS crook-in-chief Janet Napolitano continues to deny any wrongdoing. Conveniently, Napolitano’s longtime aide and crony pal Suzanne Barr, former chief of staff to former DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement head John Morton, left office just after whistleblower allegations about Barr’s lewd conduct and sexual harassment of underlings surfaced. Guess who was “in charge” as the scandal broke open? Whitewash puppy Charles K. Edwards.

As always, the fish rots from the head down. Remember: Team Hope and Change sacked former Amtrak Inspector General Fred Weiderhold and former Americorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin for exposing financial improprieties and calling out Obama officials’ interference with their probes.

And the current kennel of Obama cover-up enablers masquerading as watchdogs includes Interior Department acting IG Mary Kendall. She remains under investigation for allegations that she potentially helped White House officials cover up their doctoring of scientific documents that led to the fraudulent, job-killing drilling moratorium of 2010.

Then there was former DOJ acting inspector Cynthia Schnedar, a longtime employee and colleague of now-Attorney General Eric Holder, who recklessly released secret Operation Fast and Furious audiotapes to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Phoenix before reviewing them. She resigned in 2012 to avoid the heat.

When the Senate panel called Charles K. Edwards to testify last December about his own hot ethics mess, the White House promptly whisked Edwards out of the job and transferred him to the “science and technology” division of DOJ.

Funny how the “most transparent administration in American history” loves to play hide and seek with its dirty watchdogs. Heels, the whole lot of them.

‘Following in the footsteps and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King’

With persecution against Christians increasing in African nations and other places worldwide where Islam is advancing, an American pastor is calling black churches and others to join together to raise voices of opposition.

Stephen Broden of the Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas is organizing a rally in his city next month under the banner of Americans Against the Persecution of Christians in Muslim Countries.

The coalition says it’s “committed to stopping the genocide of Christians in many Muslim countries.”

A march is scheduled to begin May 17 at 2 p.m. at City Hall Plaza in front of Dallas City Hall.

Among the speakers at the Dallas event are Rev. William Owens Jr., author and Jihad Watch founder Robert Spencer, author and Rescue Christians founder Walid Shoebat and counter-terrorism expert David Gaubatz, author of “Muslim Mafia,” published by WND Books.

But the coalition wants ministers of all denominations to join in mass protest marches in all major American cities to “break the politically-correct conspiracy of silence which has concealed this immense crime against humanity.”

>>>>>Persecuted: The Global Assault on Christians” produces the evidence. It’s available at the WND Superstore<<<<<

Broden said the coalition is marching “in the footsteps and spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” deriving its core inspiration from his admonition to confront evil openly.

“Our lives begin to end on the day that we become silent about things that matter,” King said.

Broden said what matters is that more than 100,000 Christians are murdered every year for their faith, according to estimates substantiated by the Vatican and the Center for the Study of Global Christianity.

In Africa, as WND has reported, the jihadist group Boko Haram continues to slaughter Christians in Nigeria in its effort to establish Islamic law. Sudan has been the scene of atrocities against Christians for decades. An estimated 1.5 million Christians have been killed in the genocidal campaigns carried out by Muslims from the north since 1984.

The international group Open Doors recently stated that nine out of the 10 countries cited for the worst Christian persecution are Muslim.

Atrocities against Christians by Islamic jihadists also have been carefully catalogued by Amnesty International, the International Red Cross, Human Rights Watch and many other respected humanitarian organizations.

The coalition seeks to “challenge the conscience of all Americans to oppose and defeat a murderous religious tyranny, to rally once more to the sacred principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, which are the birthright of all men and women, and which must now be guaranteed to Christians in the Muslim world.”

Dire assessment

The coalition pointed out that the persecution of Christians has become so horrific in the Middle East that several ancient Christian sects are in danger of extermination.

The Copts are fleeing Egypt by the thousands as churches are being burned to the ground and women and children violated. In Syria, Malakite Christians in Syria are facing extinction amid a jihad by the rebel forces seeking to establish Islamic law in the country.

John Eibner of World Watch has a dire assessment.

“If things continue as they are in Syria, there will be no more Christians, or other minorities, in the near future,” he said.

12 Numbers Which Prove That Americans Are Sick And Tired Of Politics As Usual

My Own Two CentsAs you read the following article, you may start feeling a little depressed. Michael Snyder delivers his message well, but for me, I refuse to be so pessimistic.

Everyone needs to always remember a very simple proverb; “Numbers never lie, but they can be manipulated”. That is not a judgment on Mr. Snyder, just an observation everyone needs to remember anytime numbers are presented.

America is in severe trouble. We do have a lot to do. America can be saved, but only through the power of God and our willingness to get of our apathy, and get to work.

Michael Snyder
The Economic Collapse
April 25th, 2014

The American people are increasingly waking up to the fact that nothing ever seems to change in Washington D.C. no matter which political party is in power.  In fact, as you will see later on in this article, an all-time high 53 percent of all Americans believe that neither party “represents the American people”.  Over the past several decades, we have sent a Bush, a Clinton, another Bush and an Obama to the White House, but the policies coming out of Washington have remained pretty much the same the entire time.  The mainstream media would have us believe that the Republicans and the Democrats are constantly fighting like cats and dogs, but the truth is that the Republicans want to take us to the same place that the Democrats want to take us – just a little more slowly perhaps.  And behind the scenes, Republicans and Democrats have a good time with one another and they are ultimately controlled by the same set of oligarchs.  The Americans people are really starting to recognize what a sham our system has become, and the numbers show that they are quite fed up with it.

I truly wish that things were different.  When I was much younger, I was actively involved in politics and I enthusiastically campaigned for certain candidates.  But then when they got to Washington D.C., they never did most of the things that they promised to do during their campaigns.

I was quite bewildered by this.  At the time, I concluded that we just needed to send even more “good politicians” to D.C. and then things would finally turn around.

But things never did turn around.  No matter which party had the upper hand, the same garbage continued to spew forth from Washington.

Ultimately, like millions of other Americans, I have come to see that there is not really much of a difference between Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi on one side, and John Boehner, John McCain, Mitch McConnell and Jeb Bush on the other side.

Sure, if you listen to their campaign speeches you might be tempted to think that they were polar opposites, but when you watch what they actually do there is not that much that really separates them.

Fortunately, large numbers of Americans are starting to see through this disgusting charade.  Most of our politicians are con men that tell us what we want to hear during their campaigns, and then after they are elected they forget all about us.  Dissatisfaction with these politicians has risen to unprecedented levels in recent years, and that could be a good thing.  The following are 12 numbers which prove that Americans are sick and tired of politics as usual…

#1 A national Rasmussen Reports survey has found that an all-time high 53 percent of all Americans believe that neither major political party “represents the American people”.

#2 According to a Real Clear Politics average of national polls, only 29 percent of Americans believe that the country is heading in the right direction.

#3 According to a Real Clear Politics average of national polls, Americans disapprove of the job that Barack Obama is doing by a 52.2 to 43.7 percent margin.

#4 According to a Real Clear Politics average of national polls, Americans disapprove of the job that Congress is doing by a 77.6 percent to 14.2 percent margin.

#5 52 percent of Americans “do not think the economy is fair to those willing to work hard”.

#6 65 percent of Americans are dissatisfied “with the U.S. system of government and its effectiveness”.  That is the highest level of dissatisfaction that Gallup has ever recorded.

#7 Only 4 percent of Americans believe that it would “change Congress for the worse” if every member was voted out during the next election.

#8 An all-time low 31 percent of Americans identify themselves as Democrats.

#9 An all-time low 25 percent of Americans identify themselves as Republicans.

#10 An all-time high 42 percent of Americans identify themselves as Independents.

#11 60 percent of Americans report feeling “angry or irritable”.  Two years ago that number was at 50 percent.

#12 70 percent of Americans do not have confidence that the federal government will “make progress on the important problems and issues facing the country in 2014″.

Of course at the heart of much of this dissatisfaction is the continuing problems in our economy.  For example, check out the Gallup daily employment tracking survey that you can find right here.  As you can see, the payroll to population number (those Americans working 30 hours a week or more) has been flatlining in the low forties for more than four years now.  The truth is that there never has been an employment recovery in this nation since the last recession. For much more on all this, please see my previous article entitled “This Is What Employment In America Really Looks Like…

The last wave of the economic crisis really devastated the middle class, and as a result record numbers of Americans have become dependent on the governmentAs I mentioned in one recent article, ten years ago the number of women working outnumbered the number of women on food stamps by more than a 2 to 1 margin. But now the number of women on food stamps actually exceeds the number of women that have jobs.

No wonder so many Americans are so angry.  Things are not nearly as good as they used to be.

Unfortunately, even though so many people are angry and frustrated, there is very little consensus on the solutions to our problems.

Many Americans even want to throw out the principles that this country was founded upon entirely.  For example, one recent survey discovered that 59 percent of all Americans believe that the U.S. Constitution is “outdated”.

That is a very chilling number.  We live at a time when Americans are becoming increasingly ignorant about who we are, where we came from and how we get here.

And a lot of our fellow citizens do not even know how our system of government works.  One survey actually found that only 25 percent of all Americans knew how long U.S. Senators are elected for (6 years), and only 20 percent of all Americans knew how many U.S. senators there are (100).

In the final analysis, it is hard to be optimistic about a political solution to any of our major problems in the near future.  Most of our politicians are deeply corrupt, the American people are incredibly angry and are deeply divided, and the vast majority of campaigns for federal office are won by the candidate that raises the most money.

But perhaps there is something that I am missing.  So what do you think?  Do you believe that there is hope that we can get Washington D.C. turned around in the near future?  Please feel free to share your thoughts by posting a comment below…

For Hillary Clinton, Faith Means Caring for Others

REAL, REAL, REAL DEEEEEEEEEEEEEP”

HAssociated Pressillary Rodham Clinton’s faith in God was shaped by her grandmother’s hymns and the bedtime prayers from her gruff Navy father, the former secretary of state told thousands of Methodist women Saturday.

Clinton said she struggled as a young woman between her father’s insistence on self-reliance and her mother’s concern for compassion. She reconciled those in the Biblical story of Jesus instructing his disciples to feed 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fish.

“The disciples come to Jesus and suggest they send away the people to find food to fend for themselves. But Jesus said, ‘No. You feed them,'” Clinton said. “He was teaching a lesson about the responsibility we all share.”

It was a personal speech from a woman considered the front-runner for the 2016 Democratic nomination for president. And while the speech mostly steered clear of politics, she made the case on moral grounds for increasing the minimum wage and equalizing pay for men and women — two issues that have polarized Congress in the run-up to the 2014 midterm elections.

Clinton’s remarks came at the quadrennial United Methodist Women’s Assembly, where 7,000 women gathered for three days of teaching, singing and service. Clinton told the crowd her faith was rooted in her family. She talked about how her father — a self-made, independent man — would “humble himself before God” by her bedside every night. And her grandmother would sing hymns as she braided young Clinton’s hair.

As she considers a run for president, Clinton has been brandishing her foreign policy experience lately with a recent speech at the University of Connecticut and by promoting the upcoming release of her new book, “Hard Choices.” But Saturday gave Clinton a chance to tell thousands of women from across the country about her own faith and the church she attended growing up in Illinois.

“I love that church. I love how it made me feel about myself,” Clinton said. “I love the doors that it opened in my understanding of the world, I loved the way it helped to deepen my faith and ground it.”

Clinton said that while she was secretary of state, faith lead her to start initiatives that fought against human trafficking, promoted maternal health care in developing countries and, above all, inspired her to fight for women’s rights.

“The truth is there are too many women in our country today trying to build a life and a family that don’t just face ceilings on their aspirations and opportunities; it’s as if the floor is collapsing beneath them,” Clinton said. “These are our sisters, our daughters, granddaughters. Some are hungry, not just for nutritious food but for opportunity, for chance to thrive, for their own piece of the American dream.

“Don’t think we can sit back and wait for someone else to step forward and solve these problems,” Clinton added.

Her comments about women come as Democrats and Republicans across the country are appealing to women voters. In Kentucky, Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes, a Clinton family friend, is trying to defeat Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader.

But while Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, campaigned for Grimes at a fundraiser in Louisville last month, Hillary Clinton made no mention of Grimes in her speech and did not appear with her during her short stay in Kentucky on Saturday.

Clinton is scheduled to appear with Republican Sen. John McCain at an event in Arizona on Saturday night.

Senators Denounce Obama for Threatening ‘Entire Constitutional System’ By ‘Nullifying’ Immigration Laws

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/04/24/Senators-Denounce-Obama-for-Threatening-Entire-Constitutional-System-By-Nullifying-Immigration-Laws

On Thursday, 22 Republican senators, including even Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), denounced President Barack Obama in a scathing letter for threatening America’s “entire constitutional system” with his immigration “enforcement review” that threatens to “nullify” the nation’s immigration laws.

“Your actions demonstrate an astonishing disregard for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the rights of American citizens and legal residents,” the senators wrote in a letter to Obama. “Our entire constitutional system is threatened when the Executive Branch suspends the law at its whim and our nation’s sovereignty is imperiled when the commander-in-chief refuses to defend the integrity of its borders.”

After intense pressure from pro-amnesty groups who fear that amnesty legislation will not pass this year, Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson met with advocacy groups last month to reportedly consider administrative actionssuch as granting more forms of amnesty, not deporting illegal immigrants who have not committed “major” crimes, and allowing bond hearings for illegal immigrants–to further erode the nation’s laws. The senators said they had “grave concerns” with these potential actions because they “would represent a near complete abandonment of basic immigration enforcement and discard the rule of law and the notion that the United States has enforceable borders.”

Community Organizer Two

“These policies have operated as an effective repeal of duly enacted federal immigration laws and exceed the bounds of the Executive Branch’s prosecutorial discretion,” the senators wrote. “It is not the province of the Executive to nullify the laws that the people of the United States, through their elected representatives, have chosen to enact.  Congress has not passed laws permitting people to illegally enter the country or to ignore their visa expiration dates, so long as they do not have a felony conviction or other severe offense on their record.”

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), who also signed the letter and has relentlessly debunked the notion that Obama is the so-called “deporter in chief,” told Breitbart News that Obama’s immigration policies also further hollow out the Middle Class that has been found to no longer be the world’s wealthiest and hurt Americans at the bottom of the economic ladder Obama claims he wants to help.

“The Administration’s immigration policies are widening the income gap the White House claims it wishes to narrow,” Sessions told Breitbart News. “American workers have a right to the protections our immigration laws afford, but the Administration has nullified those protections while simultaneously pushing to double the flow of future guest workers into the United States. These policies make it more difficult for the working poor of all backgrounds to rise into the middle class.”

He also said that even though “evidence proves that the Administration has collapsed immigration enforcement,” with the result that “millions of struggling Americans have been deprived of their jobs and incomes,” Congressional Democrats “continue to empower the illegality and stonewall all efforts to stop it.”

“Congress must work to end the lawlessness and restore constitutional order,” he said.

The letter also cites figures from the administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealing that in 2013, “nearly all individuals removed from the United States were convicted criminals and recent border crossers.” It also mentions a Los Angeles Times report that found that “since 2009, there has been a 40% decline in removals of individuals living and working in the interior of the country.”

“THAT’S 40%……DECLINE

The senators also cited the testimony to Congress from Chris Crane, President of the National ICE Council, who said the Obama administration is not only handcuffing ICE agents but also taking “disciplinary actions against its own officers for making lawful arrests, it appears clear that Federal law enforcement officers are the enemy and not those that break our Nation’s laws.”

“Did you get that? Disciplined FOR DOING THEIR JOB!”

Sessions also noted to Breitbart News that net immigration levels have quadrupled over the last 40 years and cited Harvard Professor Dr. George Borjas, who has found high levels illegal and legal immigration from 1980–2000 have “resulted in a 7.4% wage reduction for American workers without a high school diploma.”

“….resulted in a 7.4% wage REDUCTION….”

“Currently, more than 1 in 4 Americans without a high school diploma is unemployed, underemployed, or marginally attached to the workforce,” he said. “Research from Dr. Borjas also demonstrates that American workers competing each year with immigrant labor lose approximately $400 billion in wages.”

“THE LEFTIST/MARXIST/SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST DEMS ARE MORE INTERESTED IN ILLEGAL IMMIGRENTS BEING EMPLOYED (WHO DO NOT PAY INCOME TAXES) THAN AMERICAN CITIZENS.”

The senators wrote that the Obama should not look for new ways to weaken immigration laws, especially since his administration has since 2009:

…issued policy directives and memoranda incrementally nullifying immigration enforcement in the interior of the United States – to the point that unless individuals in the country illegally are apprehended, tried, and convicted for a felony or other serious offense, they are free to live and work in the country.

“You swore an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” they wrote. “We therefore ask you to uphold that oath and to carry out the duties required by the Constitution and entrusted to you by the American people.”

Those who signed the letter include: Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee, McConnell, Sessions, Richard Shelby (R-AL), Mike Lee (R-UT), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Mike Johanns (R-NE), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), John Boozman (R-AK), David Vitter (R-LA), Jim Risch (R-ID), Mike Crapo (R-ID), Pat Roberts (R-KS), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Thad Cochran (R-MS), Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Tim Scott (R-SC), Tom Coburn (R-OK), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Hoeven (R-ND).

“Make sure you let them know how much you appreciate their stand.” Jerry Broussard

Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX), Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) were the GOP senators on the Judiciary Committee who did not sign the letter.

DOJ Pardon Atty. Quits as Obama Plans to Free Thousands of Drug Convicts

http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2014/04/doj-pardon-atty-quits-obama-plans-free-thousands-drug-convicts/

APRIL 24, 2014

As President Obama prepares to use his executive power to release thousands of felons (serving time under “racist” drug sentences) the Justice Department’s top official in charge of pardons quits rather than let criminals out of jail.

At least someone at the agency charged with enforcing the law and providing federal leadership in controlling crime, has some scruples. Of course, the official statement on the abrupt resignation of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Pardon Attorney, Ron Rodgers, is that he suddenly requested reassignment after heading the division for six years. One newswire story quotes a DOJ Deputy Attorney General saying that Rodgers’ departure is “in the tradition” of senior executive service attorneys who ask for reassignment.

The facts tell a different story. As head of the DOJ’s Pardons Office Rodgers clashed with the Obama administration over a controversial plan to release—or reduce the sentences of—convicted drug offenders. It’s part of the president’s effort to end racial discrimination in drug-related sentences. It started with the 2010 signing of a law (Fair Sentencing Act) that for the first time in decades relaxed drug-crime sentences he claims discriminate against minority offenders. The measure severely weakens a decades-old law enacted during the infamous crack cocaine epidemic that ravaged urban communities nationwide in the 1980s.

But the Fair Sentencing Act is not retroactive so the president launched a broad plan this month to help those sentenced under the older, stricter law which required mandatory prison for first-time offenders and a five-year sentence for trafficking offenses involving more than five grams of crack cocaine. This punished a disproportionate number of blacks, the administration says, compared to more affluent whites and Hispanics that enjoy lighter sentences for possessing the more expensive powder cocaine that most blacks can’t afford.

So this week Attorney General Eric Holder announced a new DOJ clemency initiative that’s expected to free thousands of prisoners serving time for crimes related to crack cocaine. The agency expects to get bombarded with petitions, Holder said in a video posted on the DOJ website, and will assign dozens of new attorneys to its pardon office, which is now headed by an Obama team player named Deborah Leff. The clemencies will “restore a degree of justice, fairness and proportionality,” Holder said, adding that the DOJ is “committed to recommending as many qualified applicants as possible for reduced sentences.”

BS WARNING BS ALERT

More than 20,000 inmates “sentenced under the old regime” will likely qualify for clemency, according to Deputy Attorney General James Cole, who held a press conference this week to announce the initiative. “For our criminal justice system to be effective, it needs to not only be fair; but it also must be perceived as being fair,” Cole said. “Older, stringent punishments that are out of line with sentences imposed under today’s laws erode people’s confidence in our criminal justice system, and I am confident that this initiative will go far to promote the most fundamental of American ideals – equal justice under law.”

With that said, here’s an interesting tidbit related to this story. One of the federal lawmakers (California Congresswoman Maxine Waters) that for years pushed to reduce drug sentences over racial disparities accused the CIA of selling crack cocaine to blacks in her south central Los Angeles district to raise money to support clandestine operations in Latin America, including a guerrilla army. Waters and her buddy, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, were driving forces behind the Fair Sentencing Act and are undoubtedly celebrating the new clemency criteria.

Ala. Supreme Court: ‘Unborn Child Has Inalienable Right to Life From its Earliest Stages’

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/ala-supreme-court-unborn-child-has-inalienable-right-life-its?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Marketing&utm_term=Facebook&utm_content=socialflow&utm_campaign=n-alabama-abortion

April 23, 2014 – 2:08 PM

(CNSNews.com) – In a case about a pregnant woman who used cocaine and endangered her unborn child, the Alabama Supreme Court affirmed (8-1) that the word “child” includes “an unborn child,” and that the law therefore “furthers the State’s interest in protecting the life of children from the earliest stages of their development.”

In his concurring opinion, Alabama Chief Justice Roy S. Moore wrote that “an unborn child has an inalienable right to life from its earliest stages of development,” and added, “I write separately to emphasize that the inalienable right to life is a gift of God that civil government must secure for all persons – born and unborn.”

The court decision on April 18 was in reference to Sarah Janie Hicks v. State of Alabama. Hicks had been charged in 2009 with violating Alabama’s chemical-endangerment statute, which in part says that a “person commits the crime of chemical endangerment” by “knowingly, recklessly, or intentionally causes or permits a child to be exposed to, to ingest or inhale, or to have contact with a controlled substance, chemical substance, or drug paraphernalia,” a felony.

In Hicks’ case, she was charged with using cocaine while pregnant. Her child, “J.D.,” tested positive for cocaine “at the time of his birth,” reads the court document.  (See Hicks v. Alabama.pdf)

In January 2010, Hicks pleaded guilty to the crime but also “reserved the right to appeal the issues” she and her attorneys had presented earlier in trying to get the charges dismissed. Hicks got a three year suspended prison sentence and was placed on probation.

Hicks appealed to the Court of Criminal Appeals in Alabama, arguing that because the chemical-endangerment statute did not specifically use the words “unborn children” or “fetuses,” the law was ambiguous and could not have applied to her unborn child.

The Appeals Court ruled against Hicks, stating that “the plain language of 26-15-3.2 [chemical-endangerment statute] was clear and unambiguous and that the plain meaning of the term ‘child’ in [the statute] included an unborn child or viable fetus.’”

Hicks then petitioned the Alabama Supreme Court in 2012 to review the Appeals Court decision.  Last Friday’s ruling affirmed the judgment of the Court of Criminal Appeals.

In their conclusion, eight of the nine Alabama Supreme Court justices said: “Consistent with this Court’s opinion in Ankrom [a similar chemical-endangerment case], by its plain meaning, the word ‘child’ in the chemical-endangerment statute includes an unborn child, and, therefore, the statute furthers the State’s interest in protecting the life of children from the earliest stages of their development.”

moore

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy S. Moore.

The law to protect the life of unborn children “is consistent with many statutes and decisions throughout our nation that recognize unborn children as persons with legally enforceable rights in many areas of the law,” said the justices.

In his own concurring opinion, Chief Justice Moore argued that natural rights come from God, not from the government. He cited the Declaration of Independence that there is a “self-evident” truth that “all Men are created equal, [and] that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights,” particularly “life.”  (See Hicks v. Alabama.pdf)

The Declaration of Independence “acknowledges as  ‘self-evident’ the truth that all human beings are endowed with inherent dignity and the right to life as a direct result of having been created by God,” said Chief Justice Moore.

He also cited Sir William Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England, which says, “This law of nature, being co-eval [beginning at the same time] with mankind and dictated by God himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this ….”

Chief Justice Moore went on to explain how at the Nuremburg Trials at the end of World War II, Nazi criminals could not argue that they were only following orders or just following the laws of the German government because there is a higher law, the “very law of nature.”

“Although the Nuremberg defendants were following orders and the laws of their own officials and country, they were guilty of violating a higher law to which all nations are equally subject: the laws of nature and of nature’s God,” wrote Justice Moore.

That law binds all nations, including the State of Alabama, said Justice Moore. “In 2006, the AlabamaLegislature amended the homicide statute to define ‘person’ to include ‘an unborn child in utero at any stage of development, regardless of viability,” he wrote, “thus recognizing under the statute that, when an ‘unborn child’ is killed, a ‘person’ is killed.”

In conclusion,  he wrote, “The Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment provides that a state may not ‘deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.’ … Unborn children are a class of persons entitled to equal protection of the laws.”

“[S]tates have an obligation to provide to unborn children at any stage of their development the same legal protection from injury and death they provide to persons already born,” wrote Justice Moore. “Because a human life with a full genetic endowment comes into existence at the moment of conception, the self-evident truth that ‘all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights’ encompasses the moment of conception.”   (See  Hicks v. Alabama.pdf)

“Legal recognition of the unborn as members of the human family derives ultimately from the laws of nature and of nature’s God, Who created human life in His image and protected it with the commandment: ‘Thou shalt not kill,’” wrote Chief Justice Moore.  “Therefore, the interpretation of the word ‘child’ in Alabama’s chemical-endangerment statute, § 26-15- 3.2, Ala. Code 1975, to include all human beings from the moment of conception is fully consistent with these first principles regarding life and law.”

TDear Mr Presidenthe say a picture is worth a thousand words, and here are two that will start a conversation for sure. These two maps of Islamic activity were created a number of years apart by different investigators.
I won’t add anything other than I live in a state that is deep blue and was home to Mohammed Atta and several other 9-11 conspirators.

However, I do have a question for all you folks out there with a “Coexist” bumper sticker on your Prius: how many churches and synagogues are in Saudi Arabia?

Michelle Obama Claims Her Life Is More Difficult Than A Soldier’s

http://theuspatriot.com/2014/04/25/michelle-obama-claims-her-life-is-more-difficult-than-a-soldiers/

When Michelle was in Fort Campbell, KY, this week, she gave a speech to veterans about finding work after leaving the military. While she spoke, she mentioned that before she campaigned with Barack, she didn’t know much about what life in the military was.

Michelle then went on to contrast her experience with that of Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill, who are Blue Star parents.

“Unlike Jill, I wasn’t a military mom,” the First Lady said, “I didn’t know much about the military, and I was probably more like the average American.”

Michelle described the many meetings she had throughout the campaigns with military families. “Everywhere we went, I heard the voice of a woman that I hadn’t heard before, and it was your voice,” the first lady said, “And I was just awed and blown away by what I heard through those voices, the challenges you all face.”

BS WARNING BS ALERT

Michelle went on to compare her life on the campaign trail with a presidential candidate husband to that of a military wife.Really 01

“Dealing with everything that I was dealing with—a spouse traveling, a job, kids– we didn’t deal with multiple moves, but I learned about the challenges that happen when you move from base to base to base,” Michelle said, “The way your kids have to adjust on a dime. And doing it knowing that the person you love is in harm’s way. And those stories moved me in a way that I didn’t expect.”

Government is Three Times More Valuable Than God?

A friend of mine, Ron Johns – a Sunday school teacher who like myself, lives in Toledo – sent over a speech he gave over the Easter weekend in the Toledo suburb of Perrysburg. It was at a gathering of activists who were holding the “Toledo Tax Day.”

I loved the speech and got some terrific ammunition for tax debates – especially this gem:  “For those that don’t know; tithing is Christians giving the first 10% of their income to God and anything past that becomes an offering. Taxation for the average American for their income with all levels of government sticking their hand in the cookie jar is 30%…”

Killer! There’s a lot more in the video below. As Ron puts it; “Two things you were always told to never talk about at family gathering has  always and will always be religion and politics. Unfortunately for myself my two favorite things to discuss are religion and politics…”

Rich Obama Donor Kicks Girlfriend 117 Times; Wait Until You See His Sentence

Gurbaksh Chahal with Democrat President Barack Obama

Major Democrat and Obama campaign donor Gurbaksh Chahal, the CEO of San Francisco based tech startup RadiumOne, was caught on camera brutally beating his girlfriend, including kicking her 117 times, sometimes to the head. The liberal Democrat also threatened several times to murder his girlfriend, according to police reports.

His sentence for the brutal assault? Chahal received an extremely light tap on the wrist, only 25 days of community service and no jail time, according to the Daily Mail, which also reports that Chahal attempted to smother his girlfriend during the beating.

According to the Washington Free Beacon,  progressive Chahal has contributed over $100,000 since 2011, all to Democrats, and that he visited Obama personally in 2011, and the First Lady at the White House in 2012.

Common Core and Communism

Common-Core-Protest

“A lie told often enough becomes the truth,” said Vladimir Lenin who led the revolution that imposed Communism on Russia.

When he wrote, ‘Mein Kampf’, Adolf Hitler said “whoever has the youth has the future.” In his vision for the Nazi Party, education would be the key that ensured that he had ‘the youth’ of Germany fully indoctrinated.

All dictators and authoritarian regimes know that what is taught in their schools offers the greatest opportunity to maintain control over their societies.

That is what has been occurring since the introduction of the Common Core standards that the Obama regime has imposed on our national education system and the good news is that protests against it from concerned parents and others are beginning to increase and gain momentum.

Teachers will tell you that “one size fits all” does not apply in the classroom and never has. Children learn at a different pace with some doing so rapidly while others need extra help and attention. Learning that is entirely dependent on ceaseless testing puts stress on every child and that is the most common complaint about Common Core.

Education in America has been in decline since the 1960s when the teachers unions gained control over the process, putting themselves between the local boards of education and parents. Would it surprise anyone to learn that the Department of Education was established by President Jimmy Carter who signed it into law in 1979? It began operation on May 4, 1980. You will find no reference, no mention of education in the U.S. Constitution and it should not be a function of the federal government.

In a recent commentary by Joy Pullmann in The Daily Caller, she said, “The latest scheme is the field testing of Common Core assessments. This spring more than four million kids will be required to spend hours on tests that have little connection to what they learned in class this year and will provide their teachers and schools no information about what the kids know.”

“Parents who object to this scheme,” said Pullman, “face bullying and harassment from public officials. From New York to Denver to California, some schools are responding by forcing kids who opt out to sit at their desks and do nothing during the several-hour tests. Normal people call that a ‘time out’ and it is a punishment.”

Wyoming has become the first State to block a new set of national science standards that address climate change. In Michigan last year a group of protesters stopped the State from adopting the science standards.

Here are some excerpts of what the science standards teach as “The Essential Principles of Climate Science.”
BS WARNING BS ALERT

# “The impacts of climate change may affect the security of nations. Reduced availability of water, food, and land can lead to competition and conflict among humans, potentially resulting in large groups of climate refugees.”

# “Humans may be able to mitigate climate change or lessens its severity by reducing greenhouse gas concentrations through processes that move carbon out of the atmosphere or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”

# “The most immediate strategy is conservation of oil, gas, and coal, which we rely on as fuels for most of our transportation, heating, cooling, agriculture, and electricity. Short-term strategies involve switching from carbon-intensive to renewable energy sources, which also requires building new infrastructure for alternative energy sources.”
From “A Framework for K-12 Science Education” children are to be taught that “If Earth’s global mean temperature continues to rise, the lives of humans and other organisms will be affected in many different ways.” Only the Earth’s mean temperature is not rising! The planet is in a natural cooling cycle that is now seventeen years old, meaning that none of the students in today’s schools have ever experienced a single day of “global warming.”

(PLEASE READ THE REPORT AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE FOR ANSWERS ABOUT THE REAL CAUSE OF THE ALL THIS CRAP ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING. IT IS THE OFFICAL STATE RELIGION OF THE LEFTIST/MARXIST/SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST)

By the end of grade 8, the Framework teaches that “Human activities have significantly altered the biosphere, sometimes damaging or destroying natural habitats and causing the extinction of many other species.”  This, too, is untrue. The U.S. Endangered Species Act, despite listing thousands of species, has not officially “saved” more than a handful at best and this assertion is questionable.

By the end of grade 12, students are expected to believe that “Changes in the atmosphere due to human activity have increased carbon dioxide concentrations and thus affect climate.” While it is true that there has been an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide this is a good thing because it is an essential factor in the increase of all vegetation that includes food crops and healthier forests. Moreover, this increase does not play any role in the Earth’s climate.

The central theme of these “science standards” is to teach that we should be reducing our use of fossil fuels, the primary energy sources our nation and the world requires. What these standards do in reality is repeat and reinforce federal government laws and regulations to justify its CO2 emissions regulations based on the current method of computing the Social Cost of Carbon, but these “costs” are pure fiction.

None of the computer models that have predicted global warming over the past four decades have been accurate. None are capable of representing the state of the Earth’s vastly complex climate.

The sooner Common Core is removed from the nation’s education system, the better.

Three Star Line

Earth religion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_religion)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Earth religion is a term used mostly in the context of neopaganism.[citation needed]

Earth-centered religion or nature worship is a system of religion based on the veneration of natural phenomena.[1] It covers any religion that worships the earth, nature, or fertility gods and goddesses, such as the various forms of goddess worship or matriarchal religion. Also most Indian religions can be included in earth religion. Some find a connection between earth-worship and the Gaia hypothesis. Earth religions are also formulated to allow one to utilize the knowledge of preserving the earth.

Origins[edit]

Annarbor tree.jpg

Origin claims by earth religion sources[edit]

According to Marija Gimbutas, pre-Indo-European societies lived in small-scale, family-based communities that practiced matrilineal succession and goddess-centered religion[2] where creation comes from the woman. She is the Divine Mother who can give life and take it away. In Irish mythology she is Danu, in Slavic mythology she is Mat Zemlya, and in other cultures she is Pachamama, Ninsun, Terra Mater, Nüwa, Matres or Shakti.

In the late 1800s, James Weir wrote an article describing the beginnings and aspects of early religious feeling. According to Boyer, early man was forced to locate food and shelter in order to survive, while constantly being directed by his instincts and senses. Because man’s existence depended on nature, men began to form their religion and beliefs on and around nature itself. It is evident that man’s first religion would have had to develop from the material world, he argues, because man relied heavily on his senses and what he could see, touch, and feel. In this sense, the worship of nature formed, allowing man to further depend on nature for survival.[3]

Neopagans have tried to make claims that religion started in ways that correspond to earth religion. In one of their published works, The Urantia Book, another reason for this worship of nature came from a fear of the world around primitive man.[4] His mind lacked the complex function of processing and sifting through complex ideas. As a result, man worshiped the very entity that surrounded him every day. That entity was nature. Man experienced the different natural phenomenons around him, such as storms, vast deserts, and immense mountains. Among the very first parts of nature to be worshiped were rocks and hills, plants and trees, animals, the elements, heavenly bodies, and even man himself. As primitive man worked his way through nature worship, he eventually moved on to incorporate spirits into his worship.[4] Although these claims may have some merit, they are nonetheless presented from a biased position that cannot be authenticated by traditional and reliable sources. Therefore, their claims can not be relied upon.

New Port Richey soldier says squatters won’t leave his home

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL (WFLA) –

When soldier Michael Sharkey was deployed to Afghanistan two years ago, he asked a friend to watch over his New Port Richey house. Sharkey and his wife are now living in Hawaii where he is currently stationed. They plan to move back into their New Port Richey home someday. But, right now they are fighting to get their house back.

They say strangers broke in, changed the locks, moved in and they refuse to leave.

“I want the people out,” said Sharkey. “They’re criminals living in my house.”

Sharkey was shocked to find out that the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office says it can’t do anything about the squatters.

Here’s where it gets complicated.

When 8 On Your Side went to check out the situation, we found a man named Julio Ortiz and his girlfriend, Fatima Cardoso, living in the soldier’s home. They offered no apologies. They say they know Sharkey doesn’t want them there, but they’re not leaving until they’re ready.

“I don’t want problems,” Ortiz said. “We’re not doing anything wrong.”

Ortiz says he has permission to be in the house, just not from Sharkey, the home’s owner. Ortiz says he doesn’t need a lease because he has a “contract.” He described this contract as a verbal agreement with a friend of the soldier to fix up the home, in exchange for living there rent free.

Ortiz said the plan was to fix up the house and then eventually work out a deal with Sharkey to rent the place.

But, Sharkey says this is all lies. He says he’s never seen or talked to Ortiz.

Lisa Pettus, who is Sharkey’s friend, told 8 On Your Side there was no agreement with Ortiz . She says she met Ortiz through a friend and he agreed to help her fix up Sharkey’s home while he was away in the military. She says she supplied all of the supplies and Ortiz and his girlfriend were never left alone in the house.

About two months after the work was done, though, Pettus says she drove by to check on the house and found the pair living there.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Pettus said. “And now they’re using my name to justify this. It’s wrong.”

Getting Ortiz and his girlfriend out of the house is proving to be difficult. Sharkey’s wife flew home from Hawaii on News Year’s Eve and went to the house with a sheriff’s deputy. But when the deputy heard Ortiz’ story about the verbal agreement, he said it was civil matter.

That means Sharkey will have to go through the court system and file for a formal eviction.

Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Ken Doll says Ortiz and Cardoso have established residency in the home, so it would take a court order to evict them now.

“I don’t think I should have to pay hundreds of dollars and go through that aggravation,” Sharkey said. “I work hard, long hours, and these people never had permission to live in my home. They should be thrown out.”

Sharkey says he’s also worried that when he files for eviction, his unwanted house guests will damage his home.

Adding to his concern is their criminal backgrounds.

Ortiz spent a combined twelve years in prison in New Jersey for robbery, car jacking and selling drugs on school property. He was released in 2011. Fatima Cardorso spent more than two years in prison on drug charges and was released in 2006.

Ortiz was arrested three times in Pasco County last year on minor charges. Cardoso has been arrested in Pasco County seven times on drug charges since 2011.

“They are criminals,” Sharkey said. “I am serving my country, and they have more rights to my home than I do.”

Ukraine kills up to five rebels, Russia starts drills on border

Kiev interior ministry forces, army take rebel checkpoints; Putin warns of consequences; Obama: Moscow so far not implementing Ukraine accord.

Ukrainian forces killed up to five pro-Moscow rebels on Thursday as they closed in on the separatists’ military stronghold in the east, and Russia launched army drills near the border in response, raising fears its troops would invade.

The Ukrainian offensive amounts to the first time Kiev’s troops have used lethal force to recapture territory from the fighters, who have seized swaths of eastern Ukraine since April 6 and proclaimed an independent “People’s Republic of Donetsk.”

Ukraine’s acting president accused Moscow of supporting “terrorism at the state level” against his country for backing the rebels, whom the government blames for kidnapping and torturing a politician found dead on Saturday.

“The window to change course is closing,” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry warned in a hastily arranged appearance in the State Department, where he cited President Barack Obama’s comments earlier on Thursday that Washington was ready to impose new sanctions if Moscow did not alter its policy.

In unusually blunt comments, Kerry accused Russia of using propaganda to hide what he said it was actually trying to do in eastern Ukraine – destabilize the region and undermine next month’s planned Ukrainian presidential elections.

“So following today’s threatening movement of Russian troops right up to Ukraine’s border, let me be clear,” Kerry said. “If Russia continues in this direction, it will not just be a grave mistake, it will be an expensive mistake.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said sanctions were “dishonourable” and destroyed the global economy but that so far the damage had not been critical.
The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said its forces backed by the army had removed three checkpoints manned by armed groups in the separatist-controlled city of Slaviansk.

“During the armed clash, up to five terrorists were eliminated,” it said in a statement, adding one person had been wounded on the side of the government forces.

A rebel spokeswoman in Slaviansk said two fighters had died in a clash in the same area, northeast of the city centre. Slaviansk’s separatist self-proclaimed mayor, Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, quoted on a local news site, said one man was shot dead and another badly wounded on the northeastern outskirts of the city. He said the dead had been unarmed.

The Kremlin, which says it has the right to invade its neighbour to protect Russian speakers, has built up forces on Ukraine’s border – estimated by NATO at up to 40,000 troops.

Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced Moscow had launched military drills near the border in response to “Ukraine’s military machine” and NATO exercises in Eastern Europe. Kiev demanded an explanation within 48 hours of action on the border.

Russia seized and annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine last month after President Vladimir Putin overturned decades of post-Cold War diplomacy by announcing the right to use military force in neighbouring countries.

An invasion of mainland Ukraine’s industrial heartland would be a far more serious action. It had seemed beyond contemplation only weeks ago but now looks like a real threat, although the full extent of Putin’s territorial ambitions remains a mystery.
In St Petersburg, Putin said that if the authorities in Kiev had used the army in eastern Ukraine, it would be a very serious crime against their own people.

“It is just a punitive operation and it will of course incur consequences for the people making these decisions, including (an effect) on our interstate relations,” Putin said in a televised meeting with regional media.

U.S. Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel voiced concern about reports of Russian military activity, telling reporters during a visit to Mexico City: “This is dangerously destabilizing and it’s very provocative.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry responded that it was up to Washington to halt the Ukrainian military action, and “force the Kiev authorities, who are wards of the United States, to restrain themselves and not use force.”

Reuters journalists saw a Ukrainian detachment with five armoured personnel carriers take over a checkpoint on a road north of Slaviansk in the late morning after it was abandoned by separatists who set tyres alight to cover their retreat.

But two hours later, the troops pulled back and it was unclear if Kiev would risk storming Slaviansk, a city of 130,000 that has become the military stronghold of a movement seeking annexation by Moscow of Ukraine’s industrialised east.

‘Finish what we have started’

At another checkpoint set up by the Ukrainian military, a soldier said they were there to instil law and order.

“Those separatists, they violated the constitution, they are torturing the country, they violated laws, they do not recognise the authority of police, so the army had to move in and we will finish what we have started, so help me God,” he said.

Under an accord signed by Russia, Ukraine, the United States and the European Union in Geneva last week, illegal armed groups are supposed to disarm and go home, including the rebels occupying about a dozen buildings in the largely Russian-speaking east.

Washington accuses Moscow of sending agents to coordinate the unrest in the east, as it did before seizing Crimea last month. Russia denies it is behind the uprising and says the separatists are responding spontaneously to hostility from Kiev. Russia made similar denials over Crimea until Putin acknowledged last week his troops had indeed acted alongside local militia.

“At the state level, Russia is supporting terrorism in our country,” Ukraine’s acting president, Oleksander Turchinov, said in an address to the country on Thursday. “Armed criminals have taken over buildings, are taking citizens, Ukrainian and foreign journalists, hostage and murdering Ukrainian patriots.”

Turchinov called for the eastern offensive this week after the apparent torture and murder of a pro-Kiev town councillor whose body was found on Saturday near Slaviansk.

Volodymyr Rybak had disappeared after being filmed trying to take down a separatist flag while attempting to enter the rebel-held town hall where he worked in Horlivka, near Slaviansk.

“He was bruised and punctured from head to toe … it’s clear they tortured him,” said Aleksander Yaroshenko, a family friend who accompanied Rybak’s widow when she identified his body at the morgue. “The police have lots of details, they have CCTV footage, they should know who did this,” he told Reuters.

Rebels in Slaviansk released U.S. citizen Simon Ostrovsky, one of three journalists they were believed to be holding.

Moscow called for Kiev to release “political prisoners”, including a pro-Russian activist named Pavel Gubarev.

U.S. troops arrive in Poland

So far, the United States and the EU have taken only mild action against Moscow, imposing visa bans and asset freezes on a few Russians, measures Moscow has scoffed at as meaningless. Washington and Brussels both say they are drafting more serious sanctions and will impose them if the Geneva deal collapses.

Even without serious sanctions, Russia’s confrontation with the West has hurt its economy as fearful investors send their money abroad. Mutual funds specialising in Russia and Eastern Europe were the 30 worst performers out of 3,489 equity funds for sale in Britain in the three months ending in March.

But Moscow also flexed its economic muscles, with the government suggesting foreign firms that pull out of the country may not be able to get back in. A source at Gazprom said the Russian exporter had slapped an additional $11.4 billion bill on Kiev. Ukraine is negotiating to reverse east-west pipelines so that it can receive gas from Europe if Moscow cuts it off.

In NATO-member Poland, the first group of a contingent of about 600 U.S. soldiers arrived on Wednesday, part of an effort by Washington to reassure Eastern European allies who are worried by the Russian buildup near Ukraine’s borders.
But NATO and the United States have made clear they will not use military force to protect Ukraine itself.

Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, said aircraft would fly increased patrols near the Ukrainian frontier as part of the new exercises. Two local residents in the area told Reuters they had seen attack helicopters flying in formation.

Kiev said the city hall in another eastern town, Mariupol, which had been seized, was back under central control. A separatist crowd later surrounded the building, patrolled by police but otherwise apparently empty.

Ukraine, a former Soviet republic, slid into unrest late last year when Moscow-backed President Viktor Yanukovich rejected a pact to build closer ties with Europe. Protesters took over central Kiev and he fled in February. Days later, Russian troops seized control of Crimea.

The Ukrainian Defence Ministry confirmed its involvement in the operation around Slaviansk on Thursday, saying the troops involved were airborne units with experience of such tasks from international peacekeeping missions.

Unarmed mediators from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe are in eastern Ukraine trying to persuade pro-Russian gunmen to go home, in line with the Geneva accord.

Reuters reporters have not been able to establish that any Russian troops or special forces members are on the ground, although Kiev and Western powers say they have growing evidence that Moscow has a presence. Masked gunmen in the east, widely referred to as “green men”, wear uniforms without insignia.

Russian spy ship detected off Florida coast

A Russian intelligence-gathering ship has been operating off the U.S. East Coast and near the Gulf of Mexico for the past month, the Pentagon said Thursday.

“We are aware that the Russian ships Viktor Leonov and Nikolay Chiker are currently operating in waters that are beyond U.S. territorial seas but near Cuba,” said Lt. Col. Tom Crosson, a Pentagon spokesman. “We respect the freedom of all nations, as reflected in international law, to operate military vessels beyond the territorial seas of other nations.”

The Leonov is an intelligence gathering ship outfitted with high-tech electronic spying gear. The Chiker is an ocean-going naval tug that has been accompanying the spy ship on its mission. Pentagon officials suspect the ships were part of a spying operation since March against the U.S. nuclear missile submarine base at Kings Bay, Ga. and other U.S. military facilities.

Both ships were detected operating off the coast of Florida near the U.S. Naval Station Mayport, Fla., which is south of the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
