Is it Time for the Tea Party to Rise Again?

The Mueller Report exonerated President Trump of claims that he colluded with Russia to steal the election from Hillary Clinton. In essence, Nancy Pelosi said screw Mueller’s Report. Her minions will continue seeking to create evidence of Trump/Russia collusion to impeach him.

Fake news media will continue its lies and deceptions to keep their “Trump colluded” lie going. Thirty-four people were indicted or plead guilty in Mueller’s Trump collusion investigation. Fake news media claims this is proof that Trump is guilty of collusion. The truth is the indictments and guilty pleas have nothing to do with Russia collusion. Many were found guilty of process crimes.

My wife Mary asked, “What is a process crime?” One example is investigators repeatedly ask you the same questions on different occasions. If you do not give the exact same answer each time, they can charge you with lying; a process crime. Suddenly, you find yourself in prison for a crime unrelated to the original investigation. Mary said, “Oh my gosh, given my short memory, you would be visiting me in prison.”

For over 2 years, Democrats and fake news media claimed there was solid evidence that Trump and Russia stole the election. Consequently, 40% of Americans absurdly believe Russia tampered with votes to cause Trump to win.

Since Mueller failed to find Trump/Russia collusion, Democrats and fake news media are demanding that Trump be charged with obstruction of justice. Every time the deep state loses a battle to get rid of Trump, their insane rage becomes more out-of-control. Their lawlessness, lies, deceptions and violence becomes more extreme. These people are evil and dangerous.

What gets me is all the deep state scoundrels in the FBI and DOJ who attempted a silent coup to reverse the 2016 presidential election are still arrogantly walking around with their noses in the air and chests poked out. They boldly continue their treasonous plot to take down Trump in plain sight. These traitors should be prosecuted. Sen. Lindsey Graham seeks to investigate alleged FISA abuses.

My fellow concerned Americans, is it time for the Tea Party to reemerge to publicly rally behind our president? We know that our anti-America and anti-Trump enemies within are going to unleash a tsunami of all kinds of unlawful craziness on our country between now and the 2020 election. Fake news media will provide cover for America’s enemies within by calling them peaceful patriots. Fake news media will claim that everything is horrible and Trump must be removed to save America.

A highly visible Tea Party supportive of our president would help to counter the lies. There have been 533,074 articles claiming Trump colluded with Russia, filled will bogus accusations, deceptions and lies.

Because Democrats are protected by fake news media, most Americans do not know the Democratic Party has sunk to new levels of crazy and evil. The Tea Party could sound the alarm about Democrats wanting to murder babies even after they are born. We could let the public know that the Democrats have become the party of rabid antisemitism. Democrat congresswoman Ilhan Omar boldly expresses her hatred of Israel. Democrat presidential contenders gave Jews their middle finger by refusing to attend AIPAC.

The Tea Party could expose the economy-killing insanity in the Democrats’ Green New Deal. In the next 10 years, Democrats want to end air travel, ban fossil fuels, mandated that every new job be unionized and close nuclear plants. Absurdly, Democrats demand that every building in the US must be rebuilt for state-of-the-art energy efficiency. Democrats also want to fund those who are irresponsible and lazy.

Yes, there was a divide in the Tea Party during the presidential campaign. I campaigned for Ted Cruz. I praise God that Trump won. While doing an amazing job for We the People, Trump has been a one-man wrecking ball demolishing the way our best interests have not been served in Washington DC.

The Tea Party movement was founded upon restoring America to her divinely ordained position as the shining city on a hill. Real Tea Party folks have jumped aboard the Trump Train because they know he is swiftly moving the ball in that direction. Trump has been relentless in keeping his campaign promises. We must keep this strong patriot warrior in the Oval Office.

From the beginning of the Tea Party movement, I toured the country on several Tea Party Express bus tours. I spoke and performed my “American Tea Party Anthem” at over 500 Tea Party rallies nationwide.

Evil CNN intentionally falsely branded the Tea Party a bunch of redneck racists protesting America’s first black president. As a proud American who happens to be black, I can testify first-hand that the Tea Party had nothing to do with Obama’s skin color. We simply opposed his plan to transform America into a Godless socialist nation.

My late dad was a fan of CNN’s Don Lemon. Dad believed the Tea Party was racist because CNN said it was. I said, “Dad, the Tea Party is not racist.” Jokingly, I said, “They even let me ride upfront on the tour bus.” I added, “I ride in the back lounge because of the huge flat-screen TV. I can watch football to my heart’s content.”

The Tea Party is a grassroots movement made up of salt-of-the-earth hardworking decent Americans who love their country. Period.

My fellow Trump supporters, perhaps it is time for us to create public spectacles across America; Tea Party rallies of positive, upbeat and lawful Americans waving US flags, adorned with “Keep America Great” and “Trump 2020” caps. As I stated, anti-Trump deep state henchmen will behave unhinged between now and the 2020 election. The Tea Party should be their highly visible, righteous and legal opposition.

Nothing says “enlightened and tolerant” quite like assault and property destruction. A liberal university student was caught on camera committing both, after she was “triggered” by conservative students telling the truth about socialism.

During an event held at Santa Clara University, the conservative group Turning Point USA hosted a peaceful anti-socialist demonstration. According to Campus Reform, local students held an event  May 31 that recognized the millions of innocent people killed under socialist and communist regimes. 

Estimates vary, but the death toll from far-left governments is believed to be in the tens of millions, if not more. 

The Black Book of Communism, published by Harvard University, estimates a death toll of near 100 million from communism and socialism, with the Soviet Union and China responsible for the most atrocities.

One liberal, however, couldn’t handle being calmly presented with facts.

“Incensed by the display, an outraged individual approached the TPUSA students as they were tabling nearby, ripping up their anti-socialist posters and calling them ‘a bunch of f—ing Trump supporters,” reported Campus Reform.

The tirade was also captured on video.

“(T)he student was seen standing close to the student organizers and ripping one of the event posters that was taped to their table. The activist also vocally defended some socialist governments, and criticized capitalist exploitation of poor nations,” the outlet reported.voting democrat

Apparently destroying someone else’s property is completely fine as long as you claim to stand with the poor, while ignoring the appalling poverty of socialist nations like Venezuela.

The radical liberal’s rant became even more physical.

“In addition to her verbal tirade, the instigator also allegedly attempted to flip over the chapter’s table in the direction of several student members and slap the phone of TPUSA chapter president Rhaaghav Kanodia out of his hand,” Campus Reform stated.Hate-Zone-NRD-600

When a military cadet with a college ROTC group tried to talk to the woman, she insulted his uniform and declared it was only used “to shoot brown people.” Classy.

For their part, the conservative students kept their cool.

“According to the video obtained by Campus Reform, as well as eyewitness testimony, not a single member of the TPUSA chapter physically confronted the instigator. Instead, the students calmly attempted to hold a conversation with the activist before asking her to leave the area,” that outlet reported. 

“When the chapter president asked the woman to ‘please be respectful or leave,’ the instigator told him to ‘sit your a– down’ and ‘shut the f— up,’ according to witnesses. The woman ultimately fled the area when campus security approached the scene.”point counterpoint

Student members of Turning Point USA expressed frustration that even when presented with evidence, campus officials do almost nothing to protect conservative free speech or hold out-of-control leftists accountable for their actions.

The ability to deal with uncomfortable information, and to calmly debate a topic of disagreement, is the hallmark of an adult, educated person.

Increasingly, it looks like liberal college students are graduating with paper degrees, but almost no tolerance for other people or diverse views.

Mitch McConnell Gets Bad News… Asked To Step Down

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has been hit with a heavy vote of no confidence from conservative groups around the country. On Wednesday, leaders from several conservative organizations called on McConnell to abdicate his position, citing a list of broken promises he made to Republican voters.

They are calling on not only McConnell, but also members of his leadership team, to step down.

“You and the rest of your leadership team were given the majority because you pledged to stop the steady flow of illegal immigration,” states their letter to McConnell, according to Fox News. “You have done nothing. You pledged to reduce the size of this oppressive federal government. You have done nothing. You pledged to reduce, and ultimately eliminate the out-of-control deficit spending that is bankrupting America. You have done nothing. You promised to repeal Obamacare, ‘root and branch.’ You have done nothing. You promised tax reform. You have done nothing.”

Disgruntled conservatives held a news conference in Washington, D.C. to address their concerns and desire to see the leadership team dissolved.

“We call on all five members of the GOP Senate leadership to step down, or for their caucus to remove them as soon as possible,” Ken Cuccinelli, the president of the Senate Conservatives Fund, said at the conference.

The Senate Conservatives Fund, founded in 2008 by former Senator Jim DeMint, has worked for years to elect more conservative GOP candidates to the upper chamber in Congress. The group has regularly clashed with the more moderate wing of GOP leadership. The SCF wasn’t the only group calling for McConnell to vacate his position.

Members from FreedomWorks, For America and the Tea Party Patriots also joined the chorus in demanding GOP Senate leaders step aside after failing to enact conservative legislation, despite voters giving the Republican Party full control of Washington, D.C. on Election Day.

This is not the first time conservatives have called on McConnell to step down as majority leader, but the ferocity of Wednesday’s press conference certainly puts an added weight on Republican lawmakers to get things done this legislative session.

The letter and press conference come as congressional Republicans are currently working to enact tax reform. GOP leaders so far have not succeeded in repealing Obamacare, failing several times to push through their own GOP health care bills. Republicans are hoping tax reform will be an issue the entire party can rally behind.

“If this was a football team, and you’d lost this many times, you’d start seriously considering firing the coaches,” said For America President David Bozell.

Despite all agreeing that they’d wish to see McConnell go, many conservative leaders are not certain who they would like to see as a replacement.

“If I had to pick someone, I’d love to draft like Pat Toomey maybe,” FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon said, referring to the GOP Pennsylvania senator. “There’s a lot of different people out there who I think could unite this caucus and actually lead on some issues.”

Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots group, said she could see herself supporting Georgia GOP Senator David Perdue. “I’m from Georgia, so I’m not opposed to him,” Martin explained, touting the junior senator’s extensive business background as a former CEO.

Conservative candidates are taking notice as well. As the 2018 election cycle begins to heat up, many pro-Trump candidates are hoping to gain traction by displaying stronger support for the president.

“With rare exception, GOP senators blocking Trump’s agenda are impediments we can not afford. Double that for Senate leaders,” Ron Wallace, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia, said in a statement to Western Journalism.

Wallace is an insurgent candidate hoping to win the GOP primary and take on incumbent Democrat Senator Tim Kaine. Wallace is running on a pro-Trump platform and believes it’s imperative the GOP majority pass what they promised to do.

“The American People voted for Tax Cuts, Border Walls, Rapid Growth, Excellent Law Enforcement, and Better Education. I expect strong proactive policies to make those outcomes possible and deliver cost-effective solutions, by whatever means may be necessary,” he said.

Remember the much thQLU2UA1Tmaligned Tea Party movement? These were the patriotic Americans—millions of them—who took to the streets and the town halls across America and revolted against President Bush’s corporate bailouts, President Obama’s stimulus spending blowout and Obamacare, and the Federal Reserve’s policy of tossing trillions of dollars out of helicopter windows (figuratively).

Good news: They helped change and maybe even slightly fix America. The latest budget deficit numbers for the fiscal year just ended find that the deficit has fallen by $1 trillion since Obama’s tragic first term. The deficit is still near half a trillion, but the hole is a lot smaller than it was before the Tea Party spontaneous combustion happened back in 2009.

This was a movement about saving America from itself. Tea Party members are homemakers, veterans, small listbusiness owners, retirees, college students, and blue-collar workers. They generally don’t want anything from government. At the 9-12 rally in Washington a few years ago, an activist from Florida explained to me what his goal was: “All we want from government is less of it.” They wanted a lot less of it from a president and a Congress who kept dispensing trillions more.

The media portrayed the Tea Party as a spoiled three-year-old throwing a temper tantrum. The left pilloried these patriots, offensively calling them “Tea Baggers” and racists and crazies.

But who was crazy? In two years, 2009 and 2010, Barack Obama and his accomplices then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and then-Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., managed to borrow about $2.5 trillion. These fiscal three stooges called this volcano of debt a stimulus to the economy. It didn’t work, and the unemployment rate was higher than it would have been without the borrowing blitz—by their own admission.

The Tea Party, more than any other political organization, sprang into action, with the single-minded purpose of forcing an end to this spending orgy. Spending has fallen over a three-year period from 2011-2014 for the first time since Joe DiMaggio roamed center field for the New York Yankees.

This is all the more impressive because government spending for Obamacare is soaring. This means that every dollar don_t_tread_on_me_hebathat has been spent on this new entitlement program has been offset by a dollar of cuts elsewhere.

It’s also worth giving credit to retiring House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. It was Boehner who forced Obama to accept tight spending caps as part of the fiscal cliff budget deal. This was one of the best deals taxpayers have seen in a long time. Boehner refused to accept Obama’s tax hike proposals, which could have plunged the economy back in to recession.

The budget numbers of the U.S. government are, of course, still dire. The debt has toppled $18 trillion, and soon we will bump up against another debt ceiling, with the spending lobby demanding an increase in the congressional credit card. But at least we are not Greece or Detroit: we are off fiscal life support for the time being.

Alas, we may need the Tea Party to take to the streets again. Republicans are set to negotiate a budget deal with the White House that could bust through budget caps and spend an extra $75 billion, which will reverse hard-earned progress.

Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., the House Budget Committee chairman and a consistent fiscal superstar for taxpayers, is defendfighting to keep the spending tides from crashing over the budget act ceilings, but he’s outnumbered even inside his own party. In Washington, the urge to play Santa Claus is still truly bipartisan.

Let’s hope the history books get the Tea Party chapter right. These weren’t a bunch of angry white males organized by the Koch brothers to protect industry. This was and still is a save-America crusade as impactful as the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s and the anti-tax activism of the 1970s. They arrived just in time, and America still needs them.

Tea Party Patriots to Rally Nationwide Wednesday to Demand Congress End Its Obamacare Exemption

Wednesday at Noon, Tea Party voters and conservatives across the country will converge upon their Senators’ and Representatives’ local offices to demand that they abide by the laws they force on the American people – specifically the “Affordable Care Act” known as ObamaCare. It’s unbelievable that members of Congress are getting away with the scam of exempting themselves from this onerous and destructive law they’re foisted on American Citizens. Rarely do you have an issue which so many Americans from all stripes agree on:

Rising insurance premiums, folks losing their coverage, their doctors – IRS penalties and a miserable effect on production and employment has most of the country strongly against this none-too-veiled Federal power grab.

ObamaCare stinks and Congress itself should get a whiff of it!

Congress originally was compelled to live under the ACA, but then through some parlor tricks, a little smoke and mirrors and a whole lotta hutspa – they exempted themselves from that obligation. Amazing! Rather than lose their cushy and taxpayer funded health care – as was originally written into law, Congress has shockingly re-classified itself as a “small business” – and therefore not subject to the law they themselves passed  – in order retain their porky and generous tax-payer funded health care subsidy.  No one else in the country receives this kind of special treatment.

President Obama hoped no one would notice, I guess, when he authorized (by executive fiat) the Office of Budget and management to treat Congressional offices on the hill as if they were a small business. What a scam!! That allowed them to join the D.C. small business exchange, which allows for taxpayer-funded subsidies to staffers ($5000 to individuals and $11,000 for families). These payments constitute a de facto waiver from Obamacare for Congress, their staffs and families.

This deceitful behavior must change and Tea Party Patriots are answering the call to demand Congress reverse the sneaky and shady change in the rules for themselves. Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) and Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) have proposed legislation in both the Senate and the House that would force Congress to live under the law as it was originally written.

Jenny Beth Martin, CEO and co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, organizers of the nationwide rally said; “If Obamacare is a law good enough for the American people, it ought to be good enough for the lawmakers and their staffers. Tea Party Patriots have remained steadfastly opposed to Obamacare since its inception in 2010, yet Congress went ahead and passed the bill into law without even taking the time to read it or understand the implications.  Now, more than five years later, Americans are suffering from the law’s provisions.  It’s only fair that Congress be forced to live under the same rules they set for the rest of us.”

National Review reported in May, 5 other Senators who claim to oppose Obamacare and the illegal Congressional exemption, did a complete flip-flop on the issue: Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Enzi (R-WY), James Risch (R-ID), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), and Deb Fischer (R-NE). We can only imagine the choice words Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) used to help them change their minds.

These Republicans need a kick in the pants and I say let’s give it to them today! From Tea Party Patriots:

End Obamacare Exemption

Join us at noon on Wednesday, June 17th
at one of your Senators’ or Representative’s local offices to demand that they abide by the laws that they force on the rest of us.

In Obamacare, it clearly states that Members of Congress and their staffs must abide by the law. However, they are ignoring the law in order to avoid its harmful effects which allows them to continue receiving their generous tax-payer funded subsidy. Which NO ONE else in the country enjoys!

Help us petition our elected officials to stop breaking the law. It’s time we put an end to the privileged, ruling class so that they too can feel the harms of Obamacare. Then we may be able to finally repeal this awful law!

Ted Cruz: Political Targeting by the IRS Should be a Crime

Senator Ted Cruz has introduced legislation making it crime to engage in political targeting by the Internal Revenue Service.

The Daily Signal says this is not the first time Cruz has offered this type of legislation. In February 2014, he introduced amendments to the STOP Identity Theft Act. Those measures, however, were defeated by Democrats and did not make it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

With a new Republican Senate majority, Cruz is hopeful that this time the language will pass independently as a bill. In apress release, Cruz blasted the lack of action by President Obama and his administration in response to the IRS scandal.

“In May 2013, President Obama declared the IRS’s illegal targeting of conservative groups ‘intolerable and inexcusable,’ yet to this date no one has been held accountable for it,” Cruz said in a statement.Obamas IRS Gestapo

Cruz’s bill would make it a crime for any IRS employee to willfully target anyone based solely on political beliefs. Any employee found in violation would be subject to a fine, up to 10 years in prison, or both.

“This is a well thought out amendment to the IRS code to try and deter and punish the type of naked political targeting engaged in by Lois Lerner and other IRS employees,” said Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the election law reform initiative and senior legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation.obama-and-IRS

Lerner, former director of the IRS’ Exempt Organizations Unit, left the agency in 2013 after news of the targeting scandal broke. Lawmakers voted to hold her in contempt of Congress last year. Von Spakovsky said abuses like the targeting of tea party and conservative groups should never happen again.

Conservative leaders who had a hand in key Republican victories including Ronald Reagan’s presidency, the Contract with America and the birth of the Tea Party, are ganging up to oppose a Jeb Bush presidential bid, declaring him easier to beat than Bob Dole or John McCain.

“I don’t know of any conservatives who are supporting him,” said Richard Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com.

“Jeb is a very good moderate Democrat,” added top-rated talk radio host Mark Levin. “He’s very boring. He doesn’t elicit excitement and energy outside a very small circle of wealthy corporatists and GOP Beltway operatives. Time to move on.”

The criticism of Bush, a media darling and leading centrist GOP potential presidential candidate, took off when Phyllis Schlafly updated her 50-year-old conservative manifesto, A Choice Not an Echo, with a slap at Bush.

Many conservatives are critical of Bush’s support for Common Core educational standards and immigration reform.

But his biggest hurdle may be his last name.

“The objection so many Reaganites have to another Bush is because he is another Bush,” said Reagan biographer Craig Shirley. “He, too, has an alarming belief in centralized authority. From the standpoint of history, the Bush family got their start in 1980 opposing Reagan and Reaganism, as they continue to do today.”

stInstead of inciting violence that hurts their own communities with looting and vandalism, these people are actually helping small businesses. The St. Louis Tea Party group went in to help the businesses that were hit the hardest during the Ferguson Riots. Check it out from Tea Party News Network

The pro-Constitution, pro-freedom Americans organized a BUYcott in Ferguson. There were no rallies. There were no speeches. There were no signs. There were no bumper stickers being handed it. This was simply neighbors from a nearby town getting together to help those whose businesses, many of them black owned businesses, had been ransacked, looted, and, for many, destroyed during the Ferguson riots.  They spread the word of the event, which took place on the 21st from 5 pm until 6:30 pm, on the Facebook page with the following description.

The great cartoonist Charles M. Schulz created the iconic scenario of Lucy Van Pelt holding the football for the hapless and trusting Charlie Brown. As Charlie charges the football to kick it, Lucy snatches the ball away at the last second and Charlie falls down. This embarrassment is repeated regularly throughout the history of the Peanuts comic strip with subtle and not-so-subtle differences. (At one point Lucy even gives Charlie a “signed document” only to inform him when the inevitable outcome happens that it wasn’t notarized.)

This scenario has frequently been applied to politics with the Democrats holding the football and the Republicans trying to kick it. Trigger the VoteThis has happened with such regularity that I seriously question its validity. Nancy Pelosi doesn’t hold the football nor does Harry Reid. John Boehner has been holding the ball and the American people are continuingly falling down in the kick attempt.

What other understanding would account for the Republicans’ seeming lack of courage in the face of the opposition? Why do they continually desire to “cross the aisle” and compromise our freedoms away? Why, with a House majority, have the Republicans accomplished little or nothing? In fact they are generally quiet until election time rolls around. One has to seriously wonder if the Republican leadership is perfectly satisfied with being the minority party in Washington and for how long have they been satisfied with this position. Why not choose to get eighty percent of the perks with limited responsibility? Instead of leadership we get a constant litany of excuses: “We don’t have the votes”, “We only have the House, the Democrats hold the Senate and the White House”, “We’re considering taking the president to court”, blah, blah, blah. They all sound eerily similar to “it wasn’t notarized.” In the meantime the country continues to decline, Americans continue to hurt.

accepted our support but judging on how fast John Sununu and George H. W. Bush dismantled his revolution it would seem that Ronald Reagan was, to them, merely a speed bump. Face it; we are not the kind of guests welcomed at the elite Republican Women’s dinners but for decades we suffered through a seemingly endless parade of less-than-thrilling candidates. Oh sure they occasionally dangled one of ours as a vice-presidential candidate but the end result was the same: a declining America and a depressed citizenry.

Columnist Mark Steyn often cites the late Dr. Milton Friedman who said: “I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.”

Unless one could confine all elected representatives in a cage with dispensers for “wise choice” tasty kibble and “poor choice” electroshock this strikes me as incredibly (and uncharacteristically) naïve. The basic problem is the monstrosity that is our Federal government. It’s so large and overreaching that there can be no “right people” or “right choices”. It’s all wrong, horribly wrong.

When the American people were rudely awakened to the unrestrained power of Washington by the Kelo Decision of the Supreme Court they formed political congregations now collectively termed “The Tea Party”. When these organizations of ordinary citizens had the audacity to challenge the political elite and even win they are attacked. In the Mississippi primary run-off of Tuesday June 24th, 2014 the Washington elites poured money into a state campaign and used Democrat voters to push their candidate to a slim margin of victory. This total disregard for the rank and file of Republican voters should demonstrate conclusively that the Republican leadership does not represent the American people. The good news is that in so doing they have freed us to effect what Dr. Friedman desired.

On Rush Limbaugh’s radio show Wednesday June 25th, 2014 a caller from Mississippi who was disgusted with the interference by the Republican elites said he was going to vote for the Democrat candidate in November. Rush said he understood the caller’s desire to teach the Republicans a lesson. He further said: “I don’t think that they are teachable. I don’t. I don’t think the Republicans will learn. They’re defiant.” Exactly. So the answer is not to teach them a lesson, the answer is to expel them from school because they won’t learn and the way to do it is to do so selectively. Don’t vote out Thad Cochran to make him pay for it. There are so many questions as to his cognitive ability he probably won’t understand anyway. Send a clear message by voting out Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.

We must view the political process not as discrete battles but as a war. We must think and act strategically. With the primaries remaining we must support candidates that represent the American people not the Washington establishment. In November we should vote Republican except for Mitch McConnell and John Boehner. Even if it means voting for a liberal Democrat we must remove these two from power.

Afterwards we need to continue to primary those candidates who support the Washington status quo. In election after election we can weed out our representatives. In those areas where it is unlikely that a conservative Republican would win in the general election get involved in the Democrat Party, start making an impact there. “D” or “R” shouldn’t matter, only “USA” should. The Washington feeding trough is full of tasty slops and it’s time we pull their Statist snouts out of it.

Mr. Limbaugh continued to warn about the pitfalls of third-party candidates and is probably still correct at least for the time being. However if we continue to be active in the primaries, effect surgical removals of certain individuals, and become involved in both parties we would be well on our way to having a viable alternative party should we need one.

Who really holds the football? We do.

imageIt’s sickening to hear people – some I really respect – sounding so wrong about “the death” of the Tea Party and how badly they’re doing in the 2014 elections.

Sure, the trolls keep repeating it, but even in Republican circles I’m still hearing how the Tea Party has completely lost all influence in American politics and people are buying into it. To that I can only ask:

What are you, new?

When someone talks about the Tea Party being dead, or that “the brand” is damaged, or however the libs have managed to define it, you can bet it’s someone that doesn’t get out much.

Only folks sequestered in their basements, hospital rooms, DC offices or likewise have been sold this bill of goods. Get out into actual America and it’s the opposite, trust me. What these naysayers are yacking about are Tea Party “groups,” and who cares? What I care about is conservative voters. We are the Tea Party and these opportunistic groups aside, we’ve been busy kicking ass in 2014.

Enabling the Tea Party Downers’ ignorance as always are the media – ignoring the victories Tea Party voters are bringing this time around, despite us having to fight a three-front war against liberals, the media and the establishment GOP – bent on destroying the very people who put them in power.

BonginoTea Party candidate Dan Bongino with his Obama bashing and damn Tea Party ideas just barely squeaked by his opponent, 84%- 16% in Maryland’s Sixth. Why is it newsworthy? Because it’s the only competitive district in Maryland for the GOP.

Didn’t hear about Dan’s landslide? That doesn’t surprise me, there was hardly a mention of him anywhere. He’s a former Secret Service Agent who claims Obama is corrupt and not qualified to lead the nation.

If Dan would have lost that badly, you think they would have reported a little something about the Tea Party boy getting whipped? Yeah. But do a google news search on his primary victory and…. yeah. No wonder you shut-ins think the Tea Party is dead, the NY Times, WaPo, HuffPo and all the other Po’s you read act like they’re dead.

It’s true – but who cares? Brat was supported by Tea Party voters and this movement was never about groups.

The Tea Party is a true grass-roots movement no matter how they’ve lied to you about it being “astro-turf”, financed and contrived by the Koch Brothers or whatever. Stop being an idiot. If the Koch Brothers could invent a movement to shift political power such as the Tea Party did in 2010, don’t you think they’d have done it sooner and more often since then? Are you that stupid? Yes you are, so you need some more:

How many Tea Party candidates have won elections in Texas this year? Too many BLAM!s to list, friendo. They’ve dominated and yet the Tea Party is dead? There are literally dozens of victories already this year in Texas for Tea Party candidates, including the ousting of America’s most senior Congressman, GOP establishment extraordinaire, Ralph Hall… Who?

“Ralph Hall!” I screamed at the media… He was beaten by Tea Party candidate “John Ratcliffe!” Wait – are you telling me that an incumbent Congressman got beat in a runoff election for the first time in 20 years – and by some Tea Party upstart, John Ratcliffe? That sounds like a story!

Well, not one that the mainstream press has any interest in. And not one that people hanging onto the dead Tea Party narrative are going to admit actually happened.

It happened my friends. Just like Tea Party guy Curt Clawson in Florida who cruised to victory in the 19th District in yet another special election ignored by the media and our buddies in Tea Party Denial Land.

Chris McDaniel is challenging the close results in Mississippi after the despicable Thad Cochran campaign. The media has taken the opportunity to use the Cochran re-election as an example of the Tea Party’s demise. If anything, doesn’t it show the strength of the Tea Party?

It’s hard to beat a guy that’s been in there for thirty or forty years – especially when millions come pouring in from decades of influence. And what about when scumbags from the left start supporting the GOP establishment candidate? Any idea what Cochran had to resort to in order to fend off Tea Party voters? McDaniel would have gotten trounced if the Tea Party were dead, so stop saying that.

rhinodefacateNo, we’re not winning like 2010 – but now we have the GOP establishment with the Chamber of Commerce, Mark Zuckerburg, Labor Unions, the evil Main Street Republican Partnership Super PAC and even George Soros money teamed up against us. So yeah, it’s hard out here for a pimp.

We’re losing some races – it’s true – but we’re not just winning a ton of them, we’re making this election about which candidate can be the most conservative. It’s forcing the GOP to admit they’re a bunch of Obama enablers. They’re exposed and they need to be beaten before we can do battle with the Maoists.

But to sit there and claim the Tea Party is dead because a couple of greedy and goofy-ass Tea Party “Groups” are backing the wrong horse here and there is just making you sound stupid. Get with the program, buddy – we’re still rolling and the general election is where we need to get it together.

Tea Party groups? Who cares? Tea Party candidates and voters? Not dead by a long shot, so quit saying it. Leave that to the wannabes.

Simple. A Tea Party Rally. But wait, I thought the Tea Party was only made of white sexist males, especially in a Southern State?

This is exactly the lie the left and those in the lamestream media want to continue to paint of the Tea Party movement and yet like everything else they try and spin, it could not be farther from the truth. 

Today, the Tea Party Express ‘Elect Chris McDaniel’ bus tour rolls into both Tupelo and Pearl, Mississippi for two separate rallies on Day 2 of the tour. The lineup of speakers truly exhibits the diversity of the movement. Unlike most conventions of the left, most Tea Party events are anything but cookie cutter.

“The makeup of the speakers traveling with the Tea Party Express this weekend exhibits the best in American culture. Liberals speak on how they represent America, but quickly dismiss the conservative side when the show the same collaboration,” says Wayne Dupree a conservative political commentator and one of the speakers on the tour.

Economics professor Dave Brat crushed House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the Republican primary Tuesday night, in a campaign that was mostly about Cantor’s supporting amnesty for 11 million illegal aliens.

This marks the first time a U.S. House majority leader has ever lost a primary election.

Resist AmnestyHis crushing defeat reinforces a central point: Whenever the voters know an election is about immigration, they will always vote against more immigration — especially amnesty.

Cantor spent more than $5 million on his campaign. Brat spent less than $150,000. But Brat made the election about Cantor’s support for amnesty, so he won.

The pro-amnesty crowd — i.e., everyone except the American people — promptly lost its collective mind. The amnesty shills went on the attack, insisting that Cantor’s historic defeat had nothing to do amnesty. Brat’s triumph was touted as simply a victory for the “tea party.”

Of course, these are the same people who also try to persuade us that amnesty isn’t “amnesty,” illegal aliens aren’t “illegal aliens” (they’re “undocumented workers”!), and that there are 30 million jobs Americans won’t do at any price.

In fact, however, the tea party had nothing to do with Brat’s victory. Only the small, local tea party groups stand for anything anymore, but they’re as different from the media-recognized “tea party” as lay Catholics are from the Catholic bishops.

National tea party groups did not contribute dime one to Brat. Not Freedom Works, not Club for Growth, not the Tea Party Express, not Tea Party Patriots. They were too busy denouncing Sen. Mitch McConnell — who has consistently voted against amnesty.

As I have been warning you, the big, national tea party groups are mostly shysters and con-men raising money for their own self-aggrandizement. (Today, they’re blast-faxing “media availability” notices to television networks claiming credit for Brat’s victory.)A Service Member 

The Tea Party Express, for example, “represents” the views of ordinary Americans by supporting Chamber of Commerce demands for cheap labor through amnesty.

As Eric Hoffer said, “Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.”

Nonetheless, the claim that Brat’s victory was a win for the tea party is everywhere — pushed with suspicious insistence by people who do not usually wish the Republican Party well. Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schulz, for example, said: “Tonight’s result in Virginia settles the debate once and for all — the tea party has taken control of the Republican Party. Period.”

Liberals apparently want Brat’s victory to be seen as a win for the tea party, and not a defeat for amnesty.

At least acknowledging the obvious — Brat’s victory was about amnesty — New York’s Sen. Chuck Schumer said: “Cantor’s defeat does not change the fundamental fact that Republicans will become a minority party if they don’t address our broken immigration system.”

And if anyone has the Republican Party’s best interests at heart, it’s gotta be Chuck Schumer!

Is Schumer’s harangue enough to convince the bubbleheads in the GOP to say: Let’s take it to the Democrats on this issue! They could start by asking Schumer: “How come we don’t get to have the same immigration policy that Israel does?”

I like Israel’s immigration policy: instant, unapologetic, unsentimental deportation of illegal aliens. Schumer obviously supports that policy, too. It’s one of many Israeli policies we might try here at home, if only Schumer would let us.

Could it be that Schumer cares more about the survival of Israel than he does about the survival of the Republican Party?

On Fox News, Mark Thiessen assured viewers that Brat’s victory was not about amnesty at all, but was an expression of the same anti-establishment sentiment we’ve seen elsewhere this year. He specifically cited Ben Sasse’s victory in the Nebraska Senate GOP primary, and Chris McDaniel’s forcing incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran into a run-off in Mississippi.
Let’s take those:

(1) Ben Sasse was running for an open seat — there was no “establishment” Republican to defeat.

(2) McDaniel has made his opposition to amnesty the centerpiece of his campaign.

We’re 0 for 2, so far. What else you got?

There were, in fact, a couple of tea party challenges this year to so-called “establishment” Republican incumbents such as McConnell and John Cornyn. They both voted against the Schumer-Rubio amnesty. They both won.

That’s 0 for 4.

Sen. Lindsey Graham’s win last night is hardly a counter-example. His $8 million war chest discouraged serious challengers, he ended up with six opponents and, as a result, that race attracted no national anti-amnesty attention. Graham sure didn’t stress his support for amnesty during the campaign. (He’s saving that as a surprise!)

Fox News’ Carl Cameron blamed Cantor’s loss on the rain: “It’s worth noting that the weather was foul here yesterday and today as well. So some of it may have been nature helping out David Brat.”

Similarly, the New Yorker explained Cantor’s loss by saying, “Low turnout undoubtedly played a role.”

Sixty-five thousand ballots were cast in the Cantor-Brat contest. That is not a large turnout for a congressional primary election — it’s gigantic. In Cantor’s 2012 primary, 47,037 people voted. In the only other two congressional primaries in Virginia on Tuesday — the day with all that rain! — 38,855 people voted in one and 17,444 in the other.

Every excuse in the book is being trotted out to claim this election was about anything but amnesty. Cantor was “arrogant.” He was “out of touch.” Democrats crossed over to vote for Brat. Cantor was “overconfident.” (Also, the sun was in his eyes!)

It’s all the same boilerplate used to rationalize any election loss. Let’s take one. Overconfident? Are you kidding me? Cantor spent more than $5 million on a congressional primary!

Cantor’s idiotic statements about amnesty lit up talk radio, were denounced daily on major websites such as Breitbart.com, and were the dominant theme of Brat’s campaign, especially in the last few months. The influential Kausfiles.com became a one-man Eric Cantor Rapid Response Team on amnesty.

Brat didn’t just win; he walloped Cantor, 55.5 percent to 44.5 percent.

Still not convinced Brat’s victory was about amnesty? Then tell me why the New York Times ran this headline on Wednesday: “Why Did Cantor Lose? Not Easy to Explain.”

IRS caught breaking law to target conservatives


WASHINGTON — The IRS appears to have been caught red-handed breaking federal law in its zeal to criminally prosecute conservatives for their political activities.

The House Oversight Committee has revealed the IRS sent the FBI a database containing more than a million pages of confidential taxpayer information that is protected by federal law.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice, or DOJ, is now admitting the FBI should never have had that data in the first place.

The information was delivered just weeks before the 2010 elections to the FBI, after a conversation between Richard Pilger, an official with the Justice Department’s Election Crimes Branch, and former IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner, a central figure in the scandal.

“At the very least, this information suggests that the IRS considered the political speech activities of nonprofits to be worthy of investigation by federal law-enforcement officials,” wrote Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, in a letter to IRS Commissioner John Koskinen.

The lawmakers are demanding more information from the IRS chief after their discovery that the agency transmitted 21 disks, constituting a 1.1 million page database of information from 501(c)(4) tax exempt organizations, to the FBI in October 2010.

“The IRS apparently considered political speech by nonprofit groups to be so troublesome that it illegally assisted federal law-enforcement officials in assembling a massive database of the lawful political speech of thousands of American citizens, weeks before the 2010 midterm elections, using confidential taxpayer information,” wrote Issa and Jordan.

Reaction was swift and scathing on Capitol Hill and among the grassroots.

“This is absolutely shocking and appalling,” high-powered Washington attorney Cleta Mitchell told WND.

“That the IRS was seeking to assist in criminally prosecuting citizens groups for exercising their free speech rights is beyond horrifying. This is America – not 1930′s Germany or 1950′s Soviet Russia,” said the lawyer who represents several tea-party groups targeted by the IRS.

The real criminals are in the White House said Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, who told WND, “This is yet more evidence of criminal activity by the Obama administration. It’s also proof ‘campaign finance reform’ is just a way for government to target citizens who express dissenting views.”

He added, “Under Obama there is increasingly no difference between the State and the Party. Democrats view government’s central role as one of suppressing dissent.”

Catherine Engelbrecht knows a thing or two about being targeted by the federal government, having had an entire alphabet soup of federal agencies come knocking on her door after she helped found, and then led, True the Vote and King Street Patriots.

Even though the Englebrechts had spent two decades of running a business without any interest from federal agencies, once she applied for tax-exempt status for her grassroots groups, the Texan was suddenly audited by the IRS and ATF, received multiple visits by OSHA and ATF, and even was visited by the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md.

An astounding 15 audits or inquiries, in all.

Engelbrecht told WND, “The discovery that Lois Lerner provided the Elections Crimes Branch of the FBI with 1.1 million pages of documents is shocking, but the fact that the IRS and FBI have withheld this smoking gun evidence for over a year demonstrates this Administration’s continued contempt for Congress, and the law.”

She continued, “Lois Lerner obviously hoped this information would encourage the FBI to prosecute conservative groups on the Administration’s enemies list.”

30 Witnesses disappearJenny Beth Martin, president and co-founder of Tea Party Patriots, told WND, “This is further evidence of how the Obama administration sought to criminalize free-speech as early as 2010. The more we learn about this IRS targeting of individuals and groups, the more we see it is rotten to the core.”

Rep. James Lankford, R-Okla., who is is a member of the Oversight Committee, told WND, “Records associated with tax collection are to be kept secure and should never be used for political purposes. Now, it’s clear right before the 2010 election the IRS transferred documents outside their jurisdiction for purposes unrelated to tax collection.”

“We cannot allow this administration to overstep the law or put the private information of the American people at risk for political purposes,” he concluded.

“It also shows how important it is that Congress keep asking questions until we learn the truth of this outrageous abuse of power by the administration,” added the leader of a national grassroots coalition with more than 3,400 locally organized chapters and more than 15 million supporters nationwide.

police_stateThe Oversight Committee learned of the database earlier this month only after interviewing DOJ’s Pilger, who had discussed with Lerner the possibility of prosecuting tax exempt organizations that engaged in political activity.

In an e-mail dated Oct. 5, 2010, Lerner asked Pilger about his formatting preference for “the disks we spoke about.” Pilger forwarded Lerner’s e-mail to an FBI agent, writing, “This is incoming data re 501c4 issues. Does FBI have a format preference?” He then responded to Lerner, “Thanks Lois – FBI says Raw format is best because they can put it into their systems like excel.”

A livid Issa and Jordan noted, despite an intensive investigation of targeting, the IRS had not disclosed to congressional investigators that Lerner had sent a massive database of tax exempt organizations to the FBI for scrutiny.

“We were extremely troubled by this new information, and by the fact that the IRS has withheld it from the Committee for over a year,” wrote Issa and Jordan to IRS Commissioner Koskinen. “We were astonished to learn days ago from the Justice Department that these 21 disks contained confidential taxpayer information protected by federal law. We ask that you immediately produce all material explaining how these disks were prepared and transmitted to the FBI.”

The letter continues, “Despite two Committee subpoenas, the IRS has not produced material relating to these 21 disks and all associated information. … The subpoena [to the IRS] created a legal requirement on you, as the Commissioner of the IRS, to identify and produce all subpoenaed material in an expeditious manner. Your choice to withhold this highly relevant material obstructs the Committee’s ongoing oversight obligations – especially when this information implicates violations of federal law.” Really 01

The letter requests the IRS immediately provide a full and complete explanation as to why information about the disks was withheld, all documents and communications related to the creation and transmittal of the disks, and communications between the IRS and any other agency related to the 21 disks.

Arizona Tea Party Holding First State Convention

 Amidst yet another round of media conjectures regarding the demise of their movement, Tea Party groups across Arizona will gather together for a State Convention on May 31st in Phoenix, Arizona, the Valley of the Sun. This event has the political class a little nervous. Apparently, these groups didn’t get the memo that the movement is dead. In fact, they are proving quite the contrary.  

The “Organizing to Represent Americans” Convention represents the first time Tea Parties in Arizona will assemble as a whole at one venue to discuss creating a system of strategies designed to go on the offense against the left and restore the American Republic.

“In my four years of Tea Party participation in Arizona, I have never seen so much enthusiasm for one of our events, “said Chris Rossiter, President of the Greater Phoenix Tea Party. “Each time we would put out a new batch of tickets, they were snatched up. The Tea Party is a very instinctive and resilient movement and I think everyone senses that a big change is necessary and it is here, starting this Saturday in Arizona.”

The organizers of the event had one thing in mind when they were planning the event—strategy. They immediately sought participation from the national groups and secured sponsorship from the Tea Party Patriots and TheTeaParty.net, as well as Americans for Prosperity and Heritage Action. This move of getting the backing of national Tea Party groups was a strategic one. Organizers of the Arizona Tea Party Conference want to see Tea Party Conventions in all 50 States by 2016. Accomplishing that task will require the assistance of groups at the national level.

By calling their event a State Convention, Rossiter said they have made several ears in the Republican Party perk up. “My phone and email are going crazy with messages from politicians who want in. The funny thing is that this isn’t a political event and we are posting ‘no campaigning’ signs at the entrance to the venue,” he said.  Rossiter continued, “Perhaps they are worried we are going to leave them high and dry and strike out on our own. Even though we have no intention at this time of forming a third party–if the Republicans were to drop a hand grenade in the middle of their ranks by doing something like passing Amnesty, the GOP could fall apart and we would be wise to have a contingency plan. But, that is not the main purpose of our Convention by any means.” 

In a press release, the organizers stated what drove them to organize the Tea Party state convention in Arizona. 

“At a time when the liberal media and the establishment political parties are proclaiming the death of the movement, the Tea Party has gathered steam, is further organizing, and is meeting to establish long-term goals and the strategies to achieve them. The Constitution and the very moral fabric of our society are under attack.   Ordinary Americans are eager for their rights and their values to be represented and defended in the public arena and that is exactly what the Tea Party intends to do.” 

There has been so much interest in the 2014 Arizona Tea Party State Convention that the event is now sold out.

Last week, the Senate’s Tea Party caucus was held in Washington as lawmakers met to discuss a variety of issues important to the grassroots movement that continues to dominate GOP politics.
The event, hosted by national tea party groups, was held at the Heritage Foundation and was an off-the-record event where lawmakers and Tea Party organizers could speak freely about the 2014 midterms, the direction of the country and other important issues.
“The purpose of the event was to communicate with the Senators about what the country needs and hear from the lawmakers their ideas and solutions,” stated Joel Frewa, Communications Director for TheTeaParty.net. “Sharing ideas and discussing the issues are important and it’s important that they hear and discuss what’s important to the millions of tea partiers rather than hearing from consultants what the country needs. There’s really no better source of information about what the country needs than the grassroots Tea Party Movement that has been very vocal about the actions needed in Washington.”
The caucus was a forum attended by various Tea Party and conservative groups such as TheTeaParty.net, Tea Party Express, Tea Party Nation, the Heritage Foundation, AMAC, 60 Plus and other important groups dedicated to advancing conservative principles on Capitol Hill.
“The broad spectrum of conservative organizations shows the Senators that the Tea Party is united in one voice, dedicated to bringing the message of limited government to them,” Frewa stated. “While Democrats try to drive a wedge through what divides us, these caucus meetings are important to show a unified message and to deliver concerns from our members directly to the Senators who are charged with the task of making the government work for the people.”
This caucus event was held for the Senate and the next Tea Party caucus, which is held quarterly, will assemble House Tea Party members for a forum to express ideas and thoughts on how to best serve the people and improve this nation’s government.
TheTeaParty.net coordinates and hosts these events and has already hosted four House caucus events and two Senate caucus events.

Pundits within the mainstream media often like to posture as if the Tea Party is dead; it would certainly be easier for the Harry Reids and the Nancy Pelosis if that were true. However, with millions of members nationwide, Tea Party lawmakers dominating GOP politics and a formidable presence on the Hill, it seems the movement that began as a manifestation of frustration has matured from flag-waving crowds to helping shape policy on a meaningful level inside government.

Why the Tea Party Won

 Tuesday’s primaries are just another round of the Republican Party trying to figure out how we are going to be defined for the next two years going into the 2016 Presidential race. Many of the establishment would like to show certain losses as reasons why the Tea Party/Conservative wing of the Party should not be given a seat at the table. However, we in the Tea Party see it differently. We don’t have to win because, as of now, we are controlling the conversation. We are making Republicans define themselves and be accountable for their votes. 

Speaker John Boehner won in Ohio by 68.7%, which was down from his previous campaign of 81%. While a win is still a win, this much of a drop should be very concerning to the establishment and the Boehner camp considering his closest opponent only raised around $75K in comparison to the millions in the Speaker’s campaign coffers. The real interesting part of this election is now serious grumblings from his traditionally loyal supporters in the House are being voiced over whether or not they will support him for Speaker again. Either Boehner not running for Speaker or losing the vote would be considered a win for us.

In North Carolina, those in the Tea Party were hoping for a runoff between the establishment Thom Tillis and the Tea Party’s Greg Brannon. The hope was that a runoff would give us more time for more primaries, like the Chris McDaniel race in Mississippi, to show the strength of the Conservative movement. Momentum is the key to the grassroots. But let us not forget that North Carolina is truly a purple state and not one we would consider a Conservative strong State.

We need to have good candidates represent the Conservative movement, hence why not all Tea Party groups have backed Matt Bevin’s bid for Senate in Kentucky. In fact, the same group, The Tea Party Leadership Fund, who had been working against Boehner in Ohio, endorsed Mitch McConnell. We need to have candidates who have already been vetted and have the actual means to win an election without sacrificing their integrity. 

We also need to make sure in future races, we only put one Conservative vs. an establishment candidate as this is our common mistake and the main reason why we continue to have losses. Candidates in our movement have to remember that they might be able go back to their lives after a loss and, in some cases, might even be able to profit on their gained name notoriety however the movement will always have a notch in the loss column thanks to their campaign. We need to be smart, not discouraging the grassroots candidate. However, we need to make sure that we as conservatives are honest enough to put our end goal of putting a true conservative in office as a priority instead of offering numerous choices.

Remember, revolutions don’t just happen overnight. It takes strategy and planning. We are in a long distant run to save our party, not a sprint. There are 100 Senators, however, think about the power of one. One Senator who is willing to stand and fight against a bankrupting Healthcare system. One Senator who is willing to speak out to protect personal liberties. One Senator who is not afraid to point out corrupt and misleading proposed laws because of his in depth knowledge of the supreme law. The light of one honest Senator in a hall of darkness and corruption can save our country.

Truth be told, neither the establishment nor the Tea Party will ever win a majority of elections again if we don’t unite under the disasters of Obamacare – eighteen trillion dollars in debt, IRS Targeting, the Truth of Benghazi, etc.

The establishment will not survive without the passion and hard work of the grassroots or the Tea Party. At the same time, the Tea Party cannot stand on its own without the structure and fundraising of the establishment. The Democrats biggest wish is to continue this divide as they know we are weak when separated.

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and political commentator George Will was interviewed this week by the Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein. One of the topics discussed was the Tea Party movement in America, its roots and its impact (see video below).

Will was asked by Weinstein, “Do you believe the Tea Party is a significant force in Republican politics, or has their power waned significantly?”

“The Tea Party is a huge force. In some ways, more of a force than ever,” Will answered, while pointing out that Tea Party candidates haven’t won every election they’ve entered, but judging them exclusively on wins and losses “is not the proper metric” to judge the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution movement’s success, said Will.

“The Tea Party could have gone off and stayed out of the party system,” Will explains. “It could have been a third party,” but instead threw it’s “energy and intensity” into the Republican Party, the two components Will contends ultimately win elections. Will makes the case that the Tea Party has been good for both the Republican Party and the country as a whole, and that he’s “very pro-Tea Party”: 

“It came into the Republican Party and brought an enormous energy and intensity. Energy and intensity at the end of the day wins elections. The Tea Party has been, on balance, an enormous benefit,

A) to the Republican Party because of the energy, but,

B) to the country, because the Tea Party’s message is to recover the vocabulary of constitutionalism and limited government, and the connection between the Declaration [of Independence] and the Constitution,

so I’m very pro-Tea Party.”

Will rightly goes on to point out that the Tea Party was born out of being appalled with the growth of government and government spending under George W. Bush and a disgust with Republican behavior between 2001-2009, rather than a confined reaction to Barack Obama, a common misconception about the movement.

During the Congressional Black Caucus’ special order hour on the House floor Monday night, Rep. Charles B. Rangel hammered the tea party not only for embracing the Confederate flag, but also for hating President Barack Obama “as much as their [Dixiecrat] predecessors probably hated Abe Lincoln.”

“[In] some parts of the United States of America they don’t believe that the Union won. The reason I come to that conclusion is that … I have never seen so many Confederate flags that represent groups that are proud of the fact that they call themselves the Tea Party,” the New York Democrat said during his 10-minute floor speech, referring to an event he attended with President Ulysses S. Grant’s great-great-grandson. “They’re from that part of the country that the states owned slaves.” Really 01

Rangel, the second most senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus, has pushed the White House to do more to combat poverty and inequality. The Senate recently passed an extension of unemployment benefits and there are new signs  the House may take up legislation on an immigration overhaul.

Will Republican Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn run for President in 2016? That is the question that has been mulled around in the minds of many. According to an article at Real Clear Politics, Blackburn is not ruling out a possible run for president if she sees an opportunity.

If there’s a door to kick down, she’s willing to kick it down,” the aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said. “These are the kinds of events you go to — test the waters, and see what the reaction is.”  

Blackburn is a staunch social and fiscal conservative who was first elected to Congress in 2002, and a presidential run by her would be a long shot by any measure.  

But with no women known to be plotting a 2016 bid on the Republican side, she has the potential to stir up the pot in a wide-open race for the nomination. 

“There is kind of a void to fill there,” the Blackburn aide said of the likely GOP presidential field. “Whenever there’s been a need for leadership or someone to get out there and fight the fight, she’s always been the first in line and she’s not afraid of it. She’s not afraid to go toe to toe with anybody.” 

Blackburn tested the waters of her message over the weekend when she spoke at the New Hampshire Freedom Summit. Her words were powerful. The audience showed a positive reaction to things Blackburn said, points that many in the Republican party have seemingly been afraid to say.

She opened up her remarks with an almost immediate attack on Democrat Senator Harry Reid. But, she did so in almost “bless your heart” Southern style.  

Oh, Poor Harry!  He’s not happy. But, I tell you what, I think Harry Reid knows the exact same thing that you and I know– two hundred and six days from today, we are going take back the U.S. Senate!

Blackburn then shared with a crowd just how much of a direct threat to freedom that President Obama is stating how he treats the office as if he is an imperial President. In regards to his executive fiats to circumvent Congress and the Constitution, she said, “Mr. President, Congress doesn’t pass suggestions. We pass laws. And it’s about time you start following them!” The crowd loved her strong message.

She laid out the stark contrast between democrats and republicans in relation to what each side fights for. Democrats, according to Blackburn, fight for government. Republicans, on the other hand, fight for people, opportunity, and freedom.

The story of Gibson guitars speaks volumes as to big government attack on freedom. The company, based in Tennessee, was targeted and harassed by the feds long before the IRS scandal against the Tea Party. Gibson took the raiding of their facilities and the seizing of the wood used for their guitar heads and used it to their advantage. After paying unnecessary fines and getting the wood back, Gibson made special edition “Government Series” guitar. Blackburn said, “Every one of these guitars features an eagle painted on the neck with their talons around the neck of that guitar.” She then used the analogy and said, to resounding crowd approval, “It is time for the federal government to get its talons off the necks of American entrepreneurs! 

The resounding message in Blackburn’s speech was freedom and opportunity. She relayed that message by retelling the story of Reagan and how his words brought real hope and change and his policies unleashed opportunity for all. She addressed the issue of poverty not by touting big government entitlement programs, but the expansion of freedom and free markets.

From the Democrats use of women in their focus on free contraception rather than freedom to the importance of school choice; from the importance of commanding fear and respect around the world to strengthening our military, Blackburn covered a variety of areas and said that words with power and strength that so many have longed to hear.

One resounding message that all in attendance left with after Blackburn’s speech can be wrapped up in a quote that she delivered, ““Steel is strong because it knew the hammer and white heat.” 

“That’s America,” Blackburn said, “A country is like a metal that gets stronger under pressure.” With those words, Blackburn let everyone know that she is ready for the battle against big government progressivism and, if we all stand together on principle, we can defeat it.

Feb. 27 marked the five-year anniversary of the birth of the tea party. March 1 marked the two-year anniversary of the death of a patriot in that movement, Andrew Breitbart. And this week marks the annual convention of conservatives in Washington, D.C., Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC. This is an appropriate time to assess the pulse of conservatives.

Conservatives often use the hashtag, #War when tweeting about the tyrannical imperialism they believe has overtaken the culture, but is there really a concerted war, or more of a frenzied disagreement?

War is mental

As I watch what is happening, the term that often comes to mind is “playground politics,” which Dr. Paterno and I covered extensively in our book, “Ladies and Gentlemen.” The child-like behavior has become so pervasive in politics, that it has left otherwise perfectly patriotic people perfectly cynical.

Teddy Roosevelt knew war. He addressed it in his speech, “Citizenship in a Republic,” delivered at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, on April 23, 1910. It seems he knew that most every day enjoyed in the freedom of a republic was likely to be part life, part war.

“The Man in the Arena”:

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

War is hell, and though Americans seem to know that on some level, they tend to forget that the battle for the republic will be ugly, painful, unpredictable, tiring, insulting, frustrating, demeaning and that we could lose.

War is expensive

Today, it doesn’t seem many are really willing to fight for the republic. Those who are, are often mocked, scorned and robbed. Most patriots I know give so much of their precious time and resources to the fight, because they recognize that there are more important things than money, and worse things than war.

John Stuart Mill pointed out that while war is an ugly thing, it is not the ugliest of things: “The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”

One of the things worse than war is tyranny. And to most who see this as war, that is the target in the crosshairs. To those who know why they fight, tyranny is the threat. This is not about party politics, imposing morality or petty differences to them. To the patriot in the arena, this is a fight for all things sacred, most especially, liberty.

War is personal

First, the tea party was attacked for being violent, though no violence was proven. It was attacked for being radical, but what is radical about demanding that government balances its budget and is limited to its constitutional roles? Tea-party activists scratch their heads, wondering what is so violent and radical about believing one generation has no right to lay the bills for its profligate spending on the next?

Just like the D.C. politicians who may start out as civil servants, tea-party leaders often face similar temptations. As this “war” progressed, some fallible individuals were exposed for having too much focus on personal agendas and were willing to attack those with more patriotic agendas.

Our founders were above that. They made statements about divisiveness and petty jealousies, and they had answers for those who misunderstood or abused the mission.

Franklin and others understood that warriors, however passionate, are filled with human frailties. That doesn’t negate the priority of the mission, though.

Some will criticize those who give to the movement for various reasons. I, for one, am encouraged as I have watched patriots rise up to pour out their time and talents, one by one, month after month, year after year.

The bloggers have been the underrated, over-mocked voice of the uprising from the very beginning. Alongside bloggers and other mouthpieces, patriots such as John Hawkins correlate news of other conservatives’ work, and Steven Laboe used his talent of video editing to push out the appearances of other conservatives online. There are patriots who built organizations, and those who push out patriots’ work every day, all day, as a personal mission.

When their work is dignified, even for the other side, those who selflessly give for their vision of the future should be encouraged, I believe.

The passion of such conservatives should inspire those who do see this as war, and who do see this as a battle for the republic. Thousands of patriots give selflessly and tirelessly of their skill.  That is the stuff of warriors.

As the war progresses, if this is a real war, the soldiers had best recognize the enemy. Those who do not will be exposed.

Just because we have, at times, fought stupidly, doesn’t mean there isn’t time to rise up, recognize the elements of war, and win. But we have to know what we are fighting for.

I asked patriots around the country to answer the question of where we are, if this is #war.

Sly Ocana, a patriot from California, said that first, “It is important to recognize this as a war. We are being assaulted by forces that seek to destroy America and our freedoms. Many do not even see this as a war. It is imperative that we start getting this narrative out there. If you recognize what it is, you can begin to effectively combat it.”

Tom C. Lehner said he believes that patriots are in defense mode, and if they don’t adopt a posture of offense instead, “We are in deep trouble.” He said that right now the battle reminds him of Vietnam, “1,000 battlefields and no plan whatsoever.”

But Chris Babb and Ann-Marie Murrell said it is too early to gauge. Both agreed that this is a long battle, and we are only at the beginning of such a large fight. Babb said, “We are only at the beginning of what will be an equally long road, as the road that brought us to this point. This battle shall be won over time.”

Wayne Scott said in the five years since patriots woke up, some definitions have become very clear: “We now understand the battle lies not between parties, but between two different ideals: Self-governance or nanny state.”

Karin Rosarne feels optimistic: “I can see a huge shift in the grassroots education reform movement. #StopCommonCore groups are getting sick of dealing with politicians. I think they are about to take matters to a whole lot different level,” and she adds for emphasis, “check the ‘opt out movement.’”

War is disillusioning

Orwell assessed the tactics of the propagandists of his time, “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”

Tea-party activists fought diligently to avoid the pitfalls common to movements, and one tactic was to avoid conveying their power to a central figurehead. This created confusion as to who spoke for the movement or how to define it, but it also limited the hostile media from being able to make it personal. Today, some who consider themselves “taxed enough already” are beginning to see a Reagan rising from the ashes, perhaps.

“We need another Reagan or Thatcher,” Chris Skates asserted, as he prepares to attend his first-ever CPAC this year. He believes that among others, Ted Cruz holds great promise for a real political pivot.

Many in the patriot movement echo his sentiments about Cruz, but they also believe that the establishment GOP will do all in its power to remove Cruz, because it can’t control him.

War is defining

Kim Paris is one of those who saw the disconnect and started a foundation to help give funding and direction to patriot “boots on the ground.” Her Foundation For Common Sense, she says, “is composed of patriots with different objectives, who will be recognized for their projects that proceed without fanfare, day in and day out … who fund the expenses primarily out of their own pockets, or at otherwise great personal sacrifice.”

Paris made another point about those patriots in question. She said they won’t be at CPAC, because most can’t afford it. “Instead,” she said, “they choose to spend what money they have to continue their work on the homefront.”

War is necessary

Einstein said, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

Many in the patriot movement have whispered the question that everyone wonders. When do patriots take to the streets, as they have so many times in history and recently in the Ukraine? When do they have no choice but to become the radicals they have been accused of being for so long? That they have suffered so heavily and maintained civility is a testament to the true character of the average tea partier. Still the questions linger about when that might change.

Is it when they come for our guns? Or have they already?

Is it when they kill our children? Or have they already?

Is it when they deny us health care? Or have they already?

When is that moment?

War is the beginning of the end

I always have my students answer this question, “What do you want your epitaph to say?”

I believe there is power of vision when the end is established, first.

As patriots gather to mourn the anniversary of the loss of one of their own; as they celebrate the birth of their movement, however flawed and capable; as they gather in D.C. to strategize for the road ahead, perhaps they are best to pause and reflect on the final goal.

What is sacred enough to die for?

That is the pulse that patriots ought to take, in this most pivotal moment.

Levin Calls on Tea Party to Fight Tyranny in USA

Keynoting an event honoring the five-year anniversary of the Tea Party on Thursday, conservative scholar and talk radio host Mark Levin said that the Tea Party movement is the only thing standing between what is left of the country’s republic and the tyranny of runaway government.

Levin said the government that is supposed to serve the people is “devouring” us, while the Constitution’s firewalls are being breached by a lawless president, a feckless Congress, and an all-powerful Supreme Court.

He said it was an honor to speak in front of the Tea Party and thanked those in the movement for having the “spirit and enthusiasm of the founding fathers” and not being afraid to insist “on the federal government’s compliance with the constitution’s limits.”

Levin said that for this, the Tea Party is “smeared and attacked by the ruling class, Democrats and Republicans alike,” in addition to the media and “countless others who are dragging the nation into the abyss.”

Levin said that, under this assault, it is understandable for those fighting for liberty to want to live quiet lives with family and friends and wonder “if it is worth it” and “if it will be able to reverse course.” But he said that he also knew “you are Americans. You cannot be idle. And you will not be silent while a relative handful of self-aggrandizing masterminds seek to lord over you and your fellow citizens.”

“You will not allow your country to fail,” Levin declared.

Levin said that those in George Washington’s Continental Army, before they crossed the Delaware, read Thomas Paine, whom President Ronald Reagan always read and quoted on the stump and to his advisers.

Levin quoted from Paine’s The American Crisis about these being the “times that try men’s soul” and “the harder the conflict the more glorious the triumph. Triumph we must and triumph we will.”

He emphasized that Reagan was an outsider who was not a part of the establishment and who had the “courage to stand up and be counted.” And like today’s Tea Party, Reagan was blasted by George Will, Nelson Rockefeller – who Levin quipped runs today’s Republican party – and the Wall Street Journal. Levin read their disparaging attacks on Reagan before he went on to win two landslide victories and defeat the Soviet Union.

Levin, who campaigned and worked for Reagan, said that Reagan would have stood before the Tea Party and thanked them for all that they have done. He said Reagan would have been “enormously proud” of the movement and reminded those in attendance of Reagan’s words about freedom being just one generation away from extinction. Levin said that the Tea Party movement is “astutely aware of the peril of the moment and all that is at stake.”

Levin will also be honored with the inaugural “Andrew Breitbart Defender of the First Amendment Award” at this year’s CPAC on Thursday, March 6.

As Breitbart News has reported, Levin’s monumental book, Liberty and Tyranny, sold over a million copies even though the mainstream media did not discuss or review it. The book presaged the Tea Party movement and was published shortly after Obama took office in 2009, and it predicted much of Obama’s statist agenda. Like the Tea Party movement and Levin, “it circumvented the legacy press to make a lasting impact. The success of the book also proved that the mainstream press are no longer the sole gatekeepers in today’s media environment.”

Jeffrey Lord, a conservative writer for the American Spectator and former Reagan administration official, also spoke at the event and said that nobody has done more to bring awareness to the meaning of the Constitution than Levin. Lord called Levin a “national treasure” and said “we owe him a considerable debt of gratitude.”

Five years after his “rant heard around the world” spawned what is now known as the Tea Party movement, CNBC’s Rick Santelli appeared on Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 and said the energy from 2009 has created a powerful political movement that has already achieved many tangible results while changing the political landscape.

Speaking to host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, Santelli said the Tea Party movement is a big-tent movement that attracts Americans from all walks of life. He said what is appealing about the movement to him is its emphasis on fiscal responsibility. The size, scope, and reach of government is becoming a bigger political issue and platform, and that, he said, is where the Tea Party will have its most lasting impact.

Unlike the Occupy Movement that fizzled, Santelli argued that the Tea Party has “morphed.” Even though the movement does not have a convention to elect an official leader or spokesperson, the “energy from ’09 has been put to work in a way that has been tangible.”

Calling his impassioned rant the “neatest five minutes” of his career, Santelli said the speech’s legacy was “a bit surprising to me.” He said the country was going through many massive “emotional upheavals” at the time, starting with the financial crisis that he believes started when the government tried to interject itself into the housing market.

He said he was merely venting about issues “that were burning through the country.” He was surprised that the Tea Party movement, composed of those who had been especially frustrated with George W. Bush’s big-government programs and inspired by Sarah Palin in 2008, formed at the grassroots level and then exploded.

He said “mothers and grandmothers worried about the kids and grandkids” started some of the original meetings which turned into what Santelli said was a “conservative fiscal movement that is the cornerstone of the country.”

“We still have it in our DNA to express our will… and the notion that government works for us is forever enshrined and followed through as it’s denoted in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence,” Santelli said, saying he was very proud that his words galvanized Americans.

After Bannon said that Santelli doesn’t come across as someone who is a typical trader or a professor and connects with working people, Santelli said that he was a “very passionate individual,” and “there is never a doubt about whether someone is telling you what’s in their heart or not.”

“I was fed up, and maybe at that point in time I had the same thoughts of many in the country,” Santelli said.

He said he was inspired by hosts on CNBC like Carl Quintanilla who at the time were discussing how the financial crisis and the bailouts were impacting workers on the floor who were trying to pay their bills. Santelli said he believed his words “struck a chord” with Americans because “the way the words were put together” was “not the most politically correct.”

“When things come from the heart sometimes they are a little rough around the edges,” Santelli said. He said he had strong emotions about the bailouts, and that was a moment in which he shared his unfiltered views with many in the country instead of just with friends and family.

During his rant, Santelli spoke about “those that carry the water versus those that drink the water.” Though he admitted that he had no idea where those words came from – because “my brain and my mouth get on automatic pilot” – he really loves that expression now, especially because those who receive excessive government benefits and favors at the top and the bottom squeeze out the middle class.

Santelli said that America is such a compassionate country, filled with so many charitable people, before noting that there is a difference between being charitable and living the right way and having a government that “superimposes what it believes are parameters of charity and priorities of tax collection.”

He blasted Obamacare for giving Americans less incentive to work, which Santelli said goes against what the country has always been about. He passionately noted that “the reasons we’ve done so much in such a short period in history and are the envy of the world… is because we have that work ethic.”

Five years after his “rant heard around the world,” Santelli said too many elected officials still want to “take care of people from cradle to grave by using bureaucratic responses,” and he emphasized that that approach “is not working in Europe.”

Santelli said that the best way to help “the poor or the underprivileged or the handicapped” is through free markets that create surpluses of capital “that can be put to use,” and “a government that can spend what it takes in and prioritizes” the programs on which tax dollars are spent.

“Free markets and capitalism take care of people,” Santelli said. “It isn’t perfect all the time… but the hiccups [mostly occur] when government tries to mold it in different ways.”

Santelli blasted the permanent political class for using emergencies to ram through bailouts by circumventing all of the rules that have defined society because “it is more expedient.” He also slammed politicians who want to raise taxes and collect more fees by promising to spend it on education and roads, saying with all the money that is spent on “education and roads,” Americans should have “super smart kids and be driving on the best roads in the world.”

Unfortunately, Santelli said, politicians spend more on focus groups and buzz words than actual thoughts about the Constitution. He pointed out how Democrats have monopolized politics in places like California and Detroit that have been failing, but politicians continue to throw more money at the same problems, cover up failures, and paper over them like “wallpaper over termites.”

“You can’t try to do everything for everybody because you end up doing nothing for anybody,” Santelli said.

He also dismissed critics that say the Tea Party is not a powerful force because it represents about a third of the population.

“A third of the population in five years gives me goosebumps,” he said. “There is something going on in this country.”

He said the voices for fiscal conservatism are growing and the Tea Party movement can bring about an America “that we kind of long for, that all of a sudden that has all of this change, much of it outside of the rules that had guided us so well.”

He urged people to always “kick the tires” on the politicians and the policies they sell, and emphatically noted that politicians should always know that the “people put them there and the people can take them away.”

As Breitbart News has reported, Tea Party leaders will hold a massive conference in Washington, D.C., to commemorate the five-year anniversary of the movement. Those like Breitbart’s Michael Patrick Leahy organized the original conference call after Santelli’s speech that formed the modern Tea Party movement and led to the creation of groups like the Tea Party Patriots, which will sponsor the conference. Mark Levin will keynote the conference on February 27 while Sean Hannity will deliver a capstone speech. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT), two of the most beloved politicians among Tea Party conservatives, will also speak at the event.

Hate is the Force that Gives the Left Meaning

The American left has never had it this good. It has never had two terms of an unabashed and uncompromising leftist in the White House dedicated to its agenda functioning as a dictator without the military uniform, making and unmaking laws at a whim, siccing the IRS and Federal prosecutors on political enemies and transforming the country at a breathtaking pace.

This is the flicker of hope they kept alive after JFK’s assassination, the Nixon years, Carter’s collapse and the long stretch of Reaganomics. This is what Bill Clinton robbed them of prematurely by gauging his actions against the polls instead of blasting full steam ahead regardless of what the public wanted.

The left finally has its Un-American tyranny. So why is it so angry?

Watch MSNBC or browse any left-wing site and you see a level of anger that would make you think that Al Gore had just conceded or Nixon had just won reelection. There’s more anger in the privileged circles of the left than in the political rearguard of the Tea Party.

That anger trickles from the top down. Obama’s interview with Bill O’Reilly was yet another opportunity for the most powerful man in the country to blame a vast right wing conspiracy. A day doesn’t pass without another email from Obama, his wife, Sandra Fluke or Joe Biden warning that without another five or ten dollar contribution, the “right” will take over America.

The left has unchallenged control over the government, academia and the entertainment industry and yet it talks as if the country is 5 seconds away from Sarah Palin marching into Washington D.C. at the head of an army of Duck Dynasty fans to outlaw abortion.

The apocalyptic political paranoia and the uncontrolled outbursts of rage haven’t changed much since 2003. Ten years later, the ideologues in power still act as if George W. Bush is serving out his fourth term. Every day on MSNBC, a stew of conspiracy theories about oil companies, Israel, the Koch Brothers, Wal-Mart and Karl Rove leaves a slimy trail across the television screen.

On the internet, manufactured outrage has become the only progressive stock in trade. Did Jerry Seinfeld say that he values humor over racial quotas? He’s a racist. Did an ESPN magazine out a compulsive liar who also happened to be pretending to be a woman? Lock him up. Did Mike Huckabee say something that could be misinterpreted with enough ellipses and out of context “Twitterized” quotes? Before you know it, he’s a sexist pig.
Pageviews are the obvious profit motive behind all this and yet it says something deeply disturbing about a progressive readership that eats up hate and doesn’t react to anything positive. The rash of fake hate crimes feeds into that same perverse need for an enemy to hate and fight. The left used to pretend that it wanted to do something positive. But now that it has the power, it can’t stop searching for someone to hate instead.
The left is more comfortable being angry than being anything else; it finds it easier to rally the troops against something than for something so that even its triumphs only lead to more anger. The MSNBC tweet about an interracial Cheerios commercial was revealing of a deeper problem within the left. It was assumed that the MSNBC audience wouldn’t care about an interracial ad unless it could somehow pretend to “spite” the right by watching it.

Obama’s awkward stumble from cause to cause, letting the old Bush policies run on Autoplay unless a crusade kicks in, as it eventually did on gay marriage and illegal immigration, is indicative of the problem with the left’s governing style. As with an interracial Cheerios commercial, it cares less about gay marriage or legalizing illegal aliens than it does about stirring up conflict.
021014_1451_HateistheFo2.jpgLike an overgrown teenager for whom music or clothes aren’t about enjoying life or expressing an identity, but about upsetting and offending his or her parents, the left needs the negative validation of the right to be secure in its bad choices. Without that negative feedback to affirm its rebellion, its pet causes no longer seem all that compelling or meaningful.

That is another reason why the left began neglecting some of its bread and butter issues after Obama won. Aside from the need to protect its own man, it wasn’t really all that interested in closing Gitmo, gay marriage or opposing the War in Iraq. The things it wants to do are never as important to it as its obsessive need to feel that it is fighting against the right.

For all the Obama Worship, the left is more united by hatred for Sarah Palin or Ted Cruz or any other conservative villain of the month than by its support for its own leaders. It derives its identity more from the things that it is against, the middle class, the country, the businessman, the white male, than from the things that it is for. The left’s sense of self is strongest when it is attacking, not when it is inspiring, when it is destroying, not when it is building.

Deprived of an external enemy, its ideologues carve out narrow orthodoxies and denounce each other for violating them. When the right and the center have been purged, the purges of the left begin and don’t end until there is nothing left except one tyrant-guru and his terrified minions. Or until some outside force throws a pot of cold water on the quarreling and shrieking acolytes brawling over minor points of doctrine.

The small scale bloodsport documented in the outward reaches of feminism by The Nation in its article “Feminism’s Toxic Twitter Wars” as transgender rights activists denounce Eve Ensler for excluding them by using the word “Vagina” and black feminists denounce white feminists for ignoring their concerns. This is what the left begins doing when it has free time on its hands. It doesn’t stop fighting. Instead its wars become pettier power struggles over points of doctrine.

When all enemies to the right have been eliminated, the left doesn’t find peace. Its ideology is a weapon, its gurus are egomaniacs and its followers joined to fight. When it wins in an arena, whether it’s academia or entertainment, the winners begins warring against each other proving that even in an ideological vacuum, its ideology remains a destructive force whose followers would rather denounce and destroy, than educate and enlighten.

As a victorious parasite writes its own obituary, a successful left is a threat to its own existence and the only thing saving the left from the violent disintegration into its own insanity is the right.

Hating the right is the only thing that keeps the left together. When it doesn’t have Nixon to kick around anymore, it dissolves into a wet puddle of goo. If it didn’t have Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mitt Romney and every other figure who took his turn starring in their grim theater of the Two Minutes Hate, it would revert back to the petty infighting of a thousand minor eccentric causes.

It needs the Koch Brothers, Karl Rove, Evangelical Christians, AIPAC, oil companies, defense contractors and every other element of its conspiracy theories to keep its gurus and followers focused on the “real” threat instead of purging each other for tone policing, insufficient privilege checking and any other outrage of the week.

Like the Salafists shooting and shelling each other in Syria, the ranks of the left are filled with dogmatic and intolerant fanatics whose only goal in life is the absolute victory of their point of view. Their mutual fanaticism and aggrieved sense of victimhood gives them more in common with each other and that very commonality is the source of their mutual hatred. Only they can understand each other well enough to truly want to kill each other as no outsider possibly can.

Hate is the force that gives the left meaning. It isn’t hope that animates its leaders and thinkers, but the darker side of human nature that calls on them to destroy and to kill. That dark side is why the left’s victories end in tragedies, why the red flags are painted with blood and when its followers have run out of enemies to kill, they turn on each other and destroy their own movements with firing squads, gulags and guillotines.

The left finds its identity not in its utopian visions, but in the things and people it wishes to destroy. Only by knowing what they hate, do its followers know who they are.

In the previous article, we looked at 8 rules that Saul Alinsky laid out in his book Rules for Radicals.  Barack Obama has been following those rules one by one.  However, there are other rules that follow in the book.  One rule, mentioned by Glenn Beck, was rule 12 and that one rule seems to be one of the most workable rules that President Obama has used to the max! That rule is as follows:

Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Saul Alinsky:

  • Identified a set of very specific rules that ordinary citizens could follow, and tactics that ordinary citizens could employ, as a means of gaining public power
  • Created a blueprint for revolution under the banner of “social change”
  • Two of his most notable modern-day disciples are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Born to Russian-Jewish parents in Chicago in 1909, Saul Alinsky was a Communist/Marxist fellow-traveler who helped establish the tactics of infiltration — coupled with a measure of confrontation — that have been central to revolutionary political movements in the United States in recent decades. He never joined the Communist Party but instead, as David Horowitz puts it, became an avatar of the post-modern left.

“Alinsky was … convinced that large-scale socialist transformation would require an alliance between the struggling middle class and the poor. The key to radical social change, Alinsky thought, was to turn the wrath of America’s middle class against large corporations.”

In the Alinsky model, “organizing” is a euphemism for “revolution” — a wholesale revolution whose ultimate objective is the systematic acquisition of power by a purportedly oppressed segment of the population, and the radical transformation of America’s social and economic structure. The goal is to foment enough public discontent, moral confusion, and outright chaos to spark the social upheaval that Marx, Engels, and Lenin predicted — a revolution whose foot soldiers view the status quo as fatally flawed and wholly unworthy of salvation. Thus, the theory goes, the people will settle for nothing less than that status quo’s complete collapse — to be followed by the erection of an entirely new system upon its ruins. Toward that end, they will be apt to follow the lead of charismatic radical organizers who project an aura of confidence and vision, and who profess to clearly understand what types of societal “changes” are needed.
As Alinsky put it: “A reformation means that the masses of our people have reached the point of disillusionment with past ways and values. They don’t know what will work but they do know that the prevailing system is self-defeating, frustrating, and hopeless. They won’t act for change but won’t strongly oppose those who do. The time is then ripe for revolution.”
“[W]e are concerned,” Alinsky elaborated, “with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people; to realize the democratic dream of equality, justice, peace, cooperation, equal and full opportunities for education, full and useful employment, health, and the creation of those circumstances in which men have the chance to live by the values that give meaning to life. We are talking about a mass power organization which will change the world … This means revolution.”

John Perazzo at Discover the Networks writes in his profile of Alinsky:

But Alinsky’s brand of revolution was not characterized by dramatic, sweeping, overnight transformations of social institutions. As Richard Poe puts it, “Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties.” He advised organizers and their disciples to quietly, subtly gain influence within the decision-making ranks of these institutions, and to introduce changes from that platform. This was precisely the tactic of “infiltration” advocated by Lenin and Stalin. As Communist International General Secretary Georgi Dimitroff told the Seventh World Congress of the Comintern in 1935:

“Comrades, you remember the ancient tale of the capture of Troy. Troy was inaccessible to the armies attacking her, thanks to her impregnable walls. And the attacking army, after suffering many sacrifices, was unable to achieve victory until, with the aid of the famous Trojan horse, it managed to penetrate to the very heart of the enemy’s camp.”

Alinsky died in 1972, but his legacy lives on as a staple of leftist method, a veritable blueprint for revolution (which he and his disciples euphemistically refer to as “change”). Two of his most notable modern-day disciples are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
In 1969 Hillary Clinton wrote her 92-page senior thesis on Alinsky’s theories. A great admirer of Alinsky’s blend of ruthless and stealth activist tactics, Hillary personally interviewed the famed author for her project. She concluded her thesis by stating:

“Alinsky is regarded by many as the proponent of a dangerous socio/political philosophy. As such, he has been feared — just as Eugene Debs [the five-time Socialist Party candidate for U.S. President] or Walt Whitman or Martin Luther King has been feared, because each embraced the most radical of political faiths — democracy.”

Unlike Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama never personally met Saul Alinsky. By the time Alinsky died in 1972, Obama was only 11 years old. But as a young man, he became a master practitioner of Alinsky’s methods. In 1985 a small group of 20-odd churches in Chicago offered Obama a job helping residents of poor, predominantly black, Far South Side neighborhoods. Accepting that opportunity, Obama became Director of the Developing Communities Project, where he worked for the next three years on initiatives that ranged from job training to school reform to hazardous waste cleanup. David Freddoso, author of the 2008 book The Case Against Barack Obama, summarizes Obama’s community-organizing efforts as follows:

“He pursued manifestly worthy goals; protecting people from asbestos in government housing projects is obviously a good thing and a responsibility of the government that built them. But [in every case except one] the proposed solution to every problem on the South Side was a distribution of government funds …”

Three of Obama’s mentors in Chicago were trained at the Alinsky-founded Industrial Areas Foundation. (The Developing Communities Project itself was an affiliate of the Gamaliel Foundation, whose modus operandi for the creation of “a more just and democratic society” is rooted firmly in the Alinsky method.)

One of Obama’s early mentors in the Alinsky method, Mike Kruglik, would later say the following about Obama:

“He was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation, who could engage a room full of recruiting targets in a rapid-fire Socratic dialogue, nudging them to admit that they were not living up to their own standards. As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better.”

Here we see just how Obama got his ideas and they just do not work with a nation under a “free enterprise” traditions!

For several years, Obama himself taught workshops on the Alinsky method. Also, beginning in the mid-1980s, Obama worked with ACORN, the Alinskyite grassroots political organization that grew out of George Wiley‘s National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO).

We have shown just what plan Obama has been following for years, including some of his “mentors” of this Socialist ideology that he has put forth without fear because he views himself as King of the Former United States.  If “WE THE PEOPLE” do not vote people into the Senate to change the balance this year, the United States will be no more, and time will only prove this to be true when they begin making more laws against the Constitution and dissolving our rights one at a time.  We’ve laid out their plans; now it is up to us to ensure that freedom prevails and not a kingdom of Obama.

Why Obamacare is a Fantastic Success

There are 2 major political parties in America. I’m a member of the naïve, stupid, and cowardly one. I’m a Republican. How stupid is the GOP? They still don’t get it. I told them 5 years ago, 2 books ago, a national bestseller ago (“The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide”), and in hundreds of articles and commentaries, that Obamacare was never meant to help America, or heal the sick, or lower healthcare costs, or lower the debt, or expand the economy.

 

The GOP needs to stop calling Obamacare a “train wreck.” That means it’s a mistake, or accident. That means it’s a gigantic flop, or failure. It’s NOT. This is a brilliant, cynical, and purposeful attempt to damage the U.S. economy, kill jobs, and bring down capitalism. It’s not a failure, it’s Obama’s grand success. It’s not a “train wreck,” Obamacare is a suicide attack. He wants to hurt us, to bring us to our knees, to capitulate- so we agree under duress to accept big government.

 

Obama’s hero and mentor was Saul Alinsky – a radical Marxist intent on destroying capitalism. Alinksky’s stated advice was to call the other guy “a terrorist” to hide your own intensions. To scream that the other guy is “ruining America,” while you are the one actually plotting the destruction of America. To claim again and again…in every sentence of every speech…that you are “saving the middle class,” while you are busy wiping out the middle class.

 

The GOP is so stupid they can’t see it. There are no mistakes here. This is a planned purposeful attack. The tell-tale sign isn’t the disastrous start to Obamacare. Or the devastating effect the new taxes are having on the economy. Or the death of full-time jobs. Or the overwhelming debt. Or the dramatic increases in health insurance rates. Or the 70% of doctors now thinking of retiring- bringing on a healthcare crisis of unimaginable proportions.Forget all that.

 

The real sign that this is a purposeful attack upon capitalism is how many Obama administration members and Democratic Congressmen are openly calling Tea Party Republicans and anyone who wants to stop Obamacare “terrorists.” There’s the clue. Even the clueless GOP should be able to see that. They are calling the reasonable people…the patriots…the people who believe in the Constitution…the people who believe exactly what the Founding Fathers believed…the people who want to take power away from corrupt politicians who have put America $17 trillion in debt…terrorists?

 

That’s because they are Saul Alinsky-ing the GOP. The people trying to purposely hurt America, capitalism and the middle class…are calling the patriots by a terrible name to fool, confuse and distract the public.

 

Obamacare is a raving, rollicking, fantastic success. Stop calling it a failure. Here is what it was created to do. It is succeeding on all counts.

 

#1) Obamacare was intended to bring about the Marxist dream- redistribution of wealth:

 

Rich people, small business owners, and the middle class are being robbed, so that the money can be redistributed to poor people (who vote Democrat). Think about it. If you’re rich or middle class, you now have to pay for your own healthcare costs (at much higher rates) AND 40 million other people’s costs too (through massive tax increases). So you’re stuck paying for both bills. You are left broke. Brilliant.

 

#2) Obamacare was intended to wipe out the middle class and make them dependent on government:

 

Think about it. Even Obama’s IRS predicts that health insurance for a typical American family by 2016 will be $20,000 per year. But how would middle class Americans pay that bill and have anything left for food or housing or living? People that make $40K, or $50K, or $60K can’t possibly hope to spend $20K on health insurance without becoming homeless. Bingo. That’s how you make middle class people dependent on government. That’s how you make everyone addicted to government checks. Brilliant.

 

#3) As a bonus, Obamacare is intended to kill every decent paying job in the economy, creating only crummy, crappy part-time jobs:

 

Why? Just to make sure the middle class is trapped, with no way out. Just to make sure no one has the $20,000 per year to pay for health insurance, thereby guaranteeing they become wards of the state. Brilliant.

 

#4) Obamacare is intended to bankrupt small business, and therefore starve donations to the GOP:

 

Think about it. Do you know a small business owner? I know hundreds of them. Their rates are being doubled, tripled and quadrupled by Obamacare. Guess who writes 75% of the checks to Republican candidates and conservative causes? Small business. Even if a small business owner manages to survive, he or she certainly can’t write a big check to the GOP anymore. Money is the “mother’s milk” of politics. Without donations, a political party ceases to exist. Bingo. That’s the point of Obamacare. Obama is bankrupting his political opposition and drying up donations to the GOP. Brilliant.

 

#5) Obamacare is intended to make the IRS all-powerful:

 

It adds thousands of new IRS agents. It puts the IRS in charge of overseeing 15% of the U.S. economy. The IRS has the right because of Obamacare to snoop into every aspect of your life, to go into your bank accounts, to fine you, to frighten you, to intimidate you. And Obama and his socialist cabal have access to your deepest medical secrets. By law your doctor has to ask your sexual history. That information is now in the hands of Obama and the IRS to blackmail GOP candidates into either not running, or supporting bigger government, or leaking the info and ruining your campaign. Or have you forgotten the IRS harassed, intimidated and persecuted critics of Obama and conservative groups? Now Obama hands the IRS even more power. Big Brother rules our lives. Brilliant.

 

#6) Obamacare is intended to unionize 15 million healthcare workers:

 

That produces $15 billion in new union dues. That money goes to fund Democratic candidates and socialist causes- thereby guaranteeing Obama’s friends never lose another election, and Obama’s policies keep ruining capitalism and bankrupting business owners long after he’s out of office.

 

Message to the GOP: This isn’t a game. This isn’t tidily-winks. This is a serious, purposeful attempt to highjack America and destroy capitalism. This isn’t a train wreck. It’s purposeful suicide. It’s not failing, it’s working exactly according to plan. Obama knows what he’s doing. Stop apologizing and start fighting.

 

Oh and one more thing…Conservatives aren’t “terrorists.” We are patriots and saviors. We represent the Constitution and the Founding Fathers. We are the heroes and good guys. Unless you get all this through your thick skulls, America is lost…forever.

Congressman Charlie Rangel has a solution for bypassing gridlock in Washington D.C.: executive orders for “everything.”

In an interview last night with NY1, the congressman praised Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s decision to push through the so-called “nuclear option” to end filibusters on most presidential nominees. But he lamented the fact the work-around could not be used for legislation, suggesting the president turn to the executive orders–like the kind used to end the deportation many people who’d entered the country illegally as children.

“You know, the DREAM Act for the kids that came over here and didn’t know their home town, the president did that by executive order. What I did is I’ve taken out the language that he used and I’m gonna see why we can’t use executive orders for everything. What’s he gonna do? Make the Republicans angry? They’re gonna get annoyed? They’re not gonna cooperate?”

He went on to slam the Republican Party for refusing to cooperate–accusing them of acting against the interests of their own constituents.

“A police officer once told me when I was a kid that the worst criminal to deal with is one that doesn’t mind dying,” he said. “And if you take a look at what these Tea Party people have done–recognizing that there’s more sick and poor white folks then there is–but they still are resisting everything that the president wants to do so they can destroy the people in their district in terms of education and jobs, the Congress, the Republican name. And when we had the debt ceiling crisis, they were really prepared to let the United States of America fiscal policy to go in the tubes. How can you talk with people like this?”

He also defended the Affordable Care Act, arguing that far too much attention has been paid to the disastrous roll-out.

“They’re concentrating on the small misjudgments that have been made and nobody’s speaking for the 40 and 50 million people that have dreamed and hoped and prayed for that they could be included and insured. Not having insurance not only destroys your life, it destroys your fiscal life. It breaks up marriages. You cannot functions anywhere unless you have good health,” he argued, agreeing the president never should have apologized.

“I’d forget the apology,” he said. “The president should have said, ‘There’ll be a little quirks here, but we’ll take care of the quirks.’”

Shove is coming to slap, stab and shoot.  All hell is going to break loose.  This is precisely what the Left wants: an excuse to take over.

Almost three years ago I attended a meeting hosted by newly-elected Rep. Daniel Webster in Florida.  Webster, a successful businessman, father, grandfather and respected state legislator had just been elected to the House, defeating incumbent Alan Grayson, a witless thug from New York, big promoter of ObamaCare, the colossal disaster of the decade.
The meeting was held in Orlando, the purpose being to inform constituents about debt and deficit at the federal level. Webster had built a solid reputation for many years as a gentleman, effective leader, and bipartisan problem-solver.

Within minutes of the start of this meeting, several men in the audience began shouting, calling Webster a liar. The Congressman was not able to get a word in, and others in the audience could not hear him in any case.  Without exaggeration, Webster tried to speak for 30 minutes only to be interrupted by these men each and every time he started a sentence.  It was one of the most horrendous displays I’ve ever witnessed.

Finally, I could take no more.  I stood to confront these men, shouting at them as loudly as they shouted at Webster.  One of the men made a move toward me with clenched fists.  Others in the audience joined me against these saboteurs.  Finally, police showed up but the disruptions quelled for only a short time. Soon, the men were back at it.  I confronted them again, and again, the police restored order. Later, I learned at least two of them had worked on the Grayson campaign, obvious plants.   The Australian seated next to me leaned over to say, “They want violence.  They actually want physical violence.”  I added: “But only if they can blame it on us.”

Webster went on to win re-election. Grayson jumped to another district and snookered the voters there.

You may remember Grayson’s television commercial when he ran against Webster, one of the slimiest pieces of political propaganda ever aired, a piece filled with such outlandish lies, even CNN’s Anderson Cooper called Grayson a liar to his face.

Here is the commercial and Grayson being grilled  by another reporter over his gross misrepresentations.

Here is the scumbag recently, joining the rest of the hyenas, condemning the Tea Party, comparing it to the KKK. This is the same venomous imp, during a House healthcare debate, who accused Republicans of wanting people to die.

Grayson is only one of many Democrats willing to say anything to gain political advantage.  As we’ve seen in recent years, and especially in recent months, the actual endorsement of violence and killing frequents many discussions about the Tea Party or any conservative willing to disagree with the Obama regime.  Dissent is being criminalized.

Now we have Democrats and MoveOn.org actually calling for the arrest of Republican leaders, insisting they be prosecuted for having an opinion and for exercising their constitutional rights: American fascism on parade.  Aside from Cher and some actor actually calling for violence and murder directed at Tea Party individuals and Sen. Ted Cruz, here you have one of the programmed robots on MSKGB comparing Cruz to cultist David Koresh.  It has become something beyond bizarre.

Celebrities, media talking heads, politicians and others who participate in verbal violence are bad enough, but those same people who actually encourage physical violence and killing, they are the ones who should face criminal charges. They are the real haters.  They are the real traitors.

If they persist, like the Grayson operatives in Orlando, we will have violence, because they insist on escalation, launching serial assaults with increasing ferocity.

Our response will be purely self-defense, measured, and adequate.

Southern Democratic congressman sends fundraising email with burning cross representing tea party

Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson sent out a fundraising email with a burning cross to compare the tea party to the Klu Klux Klan.

The Florida congressman, who was known for his over-the-top antics in the House during a previous tenure in Congress, also excerpted a transcript of a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Politics Nation w/ Al Sharpton” in which he declared that, after the government shutdown, “the tea party is no more popular than the Klan.”

In the email, the burning cross is used as a “t” to spell out “tea party.” See part of the email below:

LOVE IT! Yale Study Finds Tea Partiers Know More About Science Than Liberals, Researcher Shocked…

Although I doubt anyone here is even a little surprised by this, this will send shockwaves among the left who love to claim we’re uneducated morons.

A finding in a study on the relationship between science literacy and political ideology surprised the Yale professor behind it: Tea party members know more science than non-tea partiers.

Yale law professor Dan Kahan posted on his blog this week that he analyzed the responses of a set of more than 2,000 American adults recruited for another study and found that, on average, people who leaned liberal were more science literate than those who leaned conservative.

However, those who identified as part of the tea party movement were actually better versed in science than those who didn’t, Kahan found. The findings met the conventional threshold of statistical significance, the professor said.

Kahan wrote that not only did the findings surprise him, they embarrassed him.

“I’ve got to confess, though, I found this result surprising. As I pushed the button to run the analysis on my computer, I fully expected I’d be shown a modest negative correlation between identifying with the Tea Party and science comprehension,” Kahan wrote.

“But then again, I don’t know a single person who identifies with the Tea Party,” he continued. “All my impressions come from watching cable tv — & I don’t watch Fox News very often — and reading the ‘paper’ (New York Times daily, plus a variety of politics-focused internet sites like Huffington Post & Politico). I’m a little embarrassed, but mainly I’m just glad that I no longer hold this particular mistaken view.”

Patriots Clean Up the Capital

fixupdcThis has been a big weekend for democracy and demonstration in Washington, D.C. On Friday many truckers met to drive through D.C. in an attempt to disrupt traffic while letting Congress know that truckers across the country were displeased with the gridlock they saw in the legislature. Then on Sunday, a group calling themselves the Million Vets March on the Monuments, met at the WWII Memorial to express their displeasure that the Obama administration would use our national parks as a political tool to bludgeon the Republican Party with.

Perhaps the most important demonstration of the weekend though, happened on Saturday. On Saturday, hundreds of average American citizens showed up in D.C. for a clean-up day that organizers are calling the “Fix Up D.C.” National Day of Service. Inspired at least in part by the work of “the One Man Memorial Militia,” Chris Cox, who earlier this week was told by the National Parks Service (NPS) that he had to stop his cleaning and maintaining of the areas around the Lincoln and WWII Memorials.

“We came up with this idea when we saw the man from South Carolina come out and mow the lawn. We thought all of us could do the same thing,” said Ellen Wheeler, director of messaging for FreedomWorks. “Congress may try to shutdown the government but they can’t shutdown the people.”

The hundreds who gathered came at the behest of the FreedomWorks Foundation, the Tea Party Patriots, and media entrepreneur Glenn Beck of the Blaze. The idea was to empower ordinary Americans “to make a difference and do what government is not doing,” Deneen Borelli, who is a Liberty Alliance partner, explained.

Several prominent Tea Party leaders spoke to the volunteers, who were also addressed by Glenn Beck and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). The volunteers worked to clean up the area surrounding the National Mall which has not been maintained over the last two weeks (12 days) because of the government shutdown. Families picked up trash, raked leaves and worked to make the area more presentable. The hundreds of gathered volunteers may have had different reasons for being there, but the overall goal was to take care of our memorials… not the government’s memorials… OURS.

Former Marine, Ian Grinnals, made the six hour drive from Syracuse, New York to be at the cleanup day said it best, “I want to make sure these memorials stay clean for future veterans, especially veterans on these honor flights that are coming here usually on their last leg. They should have a place to come and be remembered.” Yes, sir.

MSNBC’s Response To The Tea Party: The Tampon Party


I remember seeing a YouTube video a few years ago when the whole Tea Party thing started in earnest. The video featured a man clad in “Founding Father”-style garb, complete with the tri-cornered hat and talking in a British accent. He encouraged viewers to take tea bags and send them to their elected representatives to “send a message.” I thought it was rather silly, and not to mention wasteful of tea bags. (However, I do prefer loose leaf, so I guess I didn’t really care much about that aspect.) Sending tea bags to congressmen and senators wasn’t going to do anything to curtail government growth or to get politicians to start taking the Constitution seriously. And from that point on, “tea partiers” bore the brunt of many sick liberal jokes.Sending tea bags to elected representatives may have been silly and ineffective, but it was all symbolic. It was supposed to remind our elected leaders of the original “tea party” in Boston in 1773, where the Sons of Liberty dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor as a protest against British tax policy and the East India Company’s monopoly on imported tea.

So, conservatives today use tea bags symbolically to protest big government. And liberals…well, they use tampons. How fitting:

“On her MSNBC show Sunday morning, Melissa Harris-Perry brought attention to Texas’ recently-passed abortion regulations—and the burnt orange-clad demonstrators who had fought their passage—in her own way: with a pair of homemade tampon earrings. ‘My producer Lorena made for me last week some tampon earrings,’ Harris-Perry said as she put on the jewelry. ‘The Texas state legislature said that you couldn’t bring tampons in, when these women were going to, in fact, stand up for their own reproductive rights.’

Suddenly, the tea bag campaign doesn’t seem so silly. How in the world is wearing tampon earrings going to send pro-life legislators a message about women’s “reproductive rights?” Don’t get me wrong. I get the connection between a woman’s “time of the month” and her ability to conceive. But being pro-life has nothing to do with regulating women’s reproductive or menstrual cycles. It has everything to do with protecting the most innocent of human beings whom abortion proponents callously call “masses of tissue” and “parasites” – completely far-removed from feminine hygiene products.

Are they trying to be shocking for the sake of being shocking? Or gross? We already know what kinds of people were protesting the Texas pro-life bill. They brought bricks, urine and jars of excrement. Capitol security had to confiscate those props and bar people from bringing tampons for fear that protesters would throw them at legislators. And that’s what prompted Melissa Harris-Perry to encourage her faithful followers to wear the tampons as earrings in order to get them through Capitol security. “So just in case that ever happens again, ladies, you can just bring them on your earrings,” Harris-Perry advised. If you recall, Cosmopolitan magazine even suggested (albeit half-way tongue-in-cheek) throwing menstrual blood on politicians at the Texas state capitol.

Yeah, I’m sure these things are really going to get pro-lifers to change their opinion on abortion. If anything, it will make pro-lifers more resolute.

Gestapo Alert! DHS Sends Armed Guards and Helicopters To Monitor Tea Party Protests at IRS

 Jason Howerton reported that it remains unclear why “federal officials felt the Tea Party presence required more than the attention of local law enforcement.”

Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit said that armed DHS guards greeted Tea Party activists in St. Louis.

“Around 300 protesters turned out anyway,” he wrote.

According to an account posted by Hoft, DHS used a helicopter against Tea Party protesters in Los Angeles and told the group they were not allowed on federal property.

“Many of our 300 tea party folks were approached immediately by Homeland Security and told they coIRS protest St. Louis County -- May 21, 2013uld not be on federal property. My lawyer told me as long as I didn’t block passage we were OK. Many Homeland Security trucks and a helicopter above us scared many patriots so most of group went to public side walk to rally,” an unnamed Tea Party activist told Hoft.

A report at BizPac Review said the DHS also made an appearance at a Tea Party protest in Florida.

“Under the watchful eye of Homeland Security — yes, they were present — protestors carried signs that read ‘We Do Not Consent to Tyranny,’ ‘Abolish the IRS’ and ‘Don’t Target me Bro!,’ making it clear they do not condone the use of the IRS as a political weapon,” Tom Tillison wrote.

A protest in Fort Wayne, Ind., actually had more police than Tea Party. Howerton said that a lone woman “was reportedly accompanied by three visible security guards in the IRS parking lot, which included a Homeland Security officer.”

“The DHS appears to have finally found a use for all those bullets it’s been buying,” Paul Joseph Watson wrote at Prison Planet, echoing a sentiment at Fire Andrea Mitchell.

“Amazing how Obama can send out his stormtroopers for peaceful IRS protests by the tea party, yet couldn’t bother with the ‘bumps in the road’ in Benghazi,” Fire Andrea Mitchell said.

According to reports, the Tea Party protests concluded without incident.

MSNBC: IRS Scandal – Wait For It – Bush’s Fault!


You knew it was just a matter of time, didn’t you? As the IRS scandal draws ever closer to Barack Obama, liberal media lapdogs are circling the wagons. In fact, they have just identified the “real” culprit: George Bush.

Who knew? From the “Let’s connect the dots that aren’t there” department, comes this ridiculous stretch, as reported by Mediaite:

Is it possible that the right-leaning Tea Party was being forced to reconcile onerous information requests from the Internal Revenue Service because former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, who was appointed by President George W. Bush, thought the nascent conservative movement reflected poorly on the Republican Party? This is the theory that was posited on MSNBC on Monday in an effort to explain the IRS’ admission that they had singled out conservative groups for undue scrutiny.

“Is it really the interesting part here that Shulman, who was a Bush appointee, might have been looking at Tea Party groups because of what it might have done to the Republican Party at the time – in the future of what we’re seeing now; basically, splintering the foundation of the Republican side?” MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts asked?

Mother Jones reporter Monika Bauerlein declined to respond to that speculation, but noted that when a group seeks tax-exempt status, they are asking for “a subsidy from the tax payers.”

“These Tea Party groups were looking for a subsidy from the tax payers, and there were a lot of these groups springing up at the time,” Bauerlein added. She contends that, in the wake of the Citizens United decision, there was a flood of applications to the IRS seeking tax-exempt status as a 501(c)3 – 6 organization. In fact, the number of applications for that status declined in 2010 in the wake the decision.”

Incredible. And? Not so much. Humorous, either way. Liberals’ “He hit me first!” or “Yeah, but what I did wasn’t as bad as what you did!” mentality is particularly entertaining when their crises erupt. (See: Hillary: “Vast right-wing conspiracy.”)
