Impeachment Week: It's OK to Be Bored; Not OK to Be White

It’s weeks like this that make me wish I had a job and didn’t have to stay home watching TV. With the impeachment nonsense dragging into its 56th month, I have some random observations, only a few of which have anything to do with impeachment.

1) As tempting as it must be for Republican senators to make a headlong rush to the TV cameras at the conclusion of the day’s festivities, they would be well advised to say this, and only this, each night:

Here are the vital issues the United States Congress did NOT address today:

— Repairing our highways, bridges and border with a major infrastructure bill.

— Ensuring that all Americans can get jobs by cutting off the deluge of cheap foreign labor.

— Providing the public with quality services by not inviting the rest of the world to come partake of government benefits meant for Americans.

— Fixing the disaster of Obamacare, so that all Americans have access to quality health care (by activating the same mechanisms that give them quality food, housing and iPhones: the free market, contract law and occasional government subsidies).

— Passing a bill to defund all the pointless, expensive military deployments around the globe, so we can FINALLY address the hellfires in our own hemisphere.

— Ending the opioid crisis by declaring war on Mexican drug cartels and building a wall.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should attach electrodes to the testicles of every Republican and blast him the moment he (OR SHE!) diverges from the script.

2) The person I really feel sorry for is Nancy Pelosi. I assume she’s weeping uncontrollably as she watches her chances of holding the speakership dwindle every time Jerry Nadler waddles to the mic. True, you “go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want,” as Donald Rumsfeld said, but surely there are more telegenic Democrats than Nadler and Adam Schiff.

3) Every day since forever, The New York Times has run a column about how white people are getting on African Americans’ last nerve.

On Monday of this week, it was “How Much Racism Do You Face Every Day?”

Average for black teenager: 5x a day.

Example: Hearing about a family member who experiences something they described as racial discrimination.

And here’s one from Tuesday, titled: “How to Convince a White Realtor You’re Middle Class; Black people expend daily energy to counteract racial stereotypes and get fair treatment.”

The examples included a white real estate agent asking a slatternly attired black woman if she could afford a specific house, and a black woman claiming she was required to sign a “no party” pledge before checking into a Portland, Oregon, Marriott.

Also since forever, whites have been trying not to offend. Thus, on the same day as the racial stereotypes column, the Times ran an article about white Iowa voters terrified of picking a Democratic nominee whom black people won’t like.

It’s useless. No matter how hard they try, whites just can’t stop offending black people with their damned “microaggressions.”

My thought is, anyone of any race can commit “microaggressions” against people of other races. What we all should endeavor to do is avoid macro-aggressions — you know, little things like murder, rape, assault and carjacking.

4) Last week, 20-foot-tall letters appeared on the side of a barn in Southport, England, spelling out the phrase: “IT’S OK TO BE WHITE.” British papers went on red alert, denouncing the “[r]acist and anti-ethnic graffiti” that “[s]hocked” and “appalled” residents.

We understand and deeply apologize for such monstrous racism. Would any of these variants pass legal muster?

— It might be acceptable to be white, but we’re not sure, we’ll get back to you.

— While it is certainly never OK to be white, we hope you will accept our deepest apology.

— Whiteness is not for everybody, but to say it’s ‘OK’ to be white is not who we are.

If none of these are acceptable, please rest assured, we don’t mean to offend. Apologies all around! We’re all staying late at the office to figure this out. Food is being sent in as we speak …

At least we won’t have to watch impeachment news.

President Donald Trump Declares January 22nd “National Sanctity of Human Life Day”

Today, the majority of Americans who are pro-life are mourning 47 years of legalized abortion under Roe v Wade. President Donald Trump today acknowledged those victims of abortion and issued a proclamation designed a spark people to action to put an end to it.

My Own Two Cents

I realize that many of you aren’t are not political junkies like me. You have gainful employment and can’t hear all that is going on in the Senate. Based on your comments, I know you are very interested, but only get snippets of information. So, I would like to add some of my observations of this entire Kabuki Theater being conducted by the Leftist. This is ONLY my perception and understanding.

When I make these observations in the past, I prefer to ask questions that hopefully inspire thought. Unlike the Leftist, I want you to think for yourself. So here we go;

  • Since President Clinton’s impeachment trial in 1998, the Left has been trying to get even for exposing their President to judgement. The Left talked many times about impeaching President Bush 43. Could all this be about “getting even”?
  • Starting with the possibility of President Trump running for President, the Left has been delirious with “not permitting” Trump to succeed as President.

Today a thought came to me, that President Trump doesn’t sound like a typical President, certainly unlike President Obama. His speech is pure “Bronx”, and his bluntness, while refreshing, can be too strong for those who ant someone else to think for themselves.

Remember how the Left talked about President Obama’s speaking? Did they sound to you as people worshiping a deity, not a man? Obama worship was, and remains, a very real thing.

  • Do your own research on every revolution that has taken place on earth. With the exception of a few, especially America’s Revolutionary War with Britain. The steps to take over are mostly the same.
    • Certain social leaders begin telling the people that reason for their suffering is that they are being oppressed by (?). In America, it’s been liberal college professors.
    • Soon, specific people are identified as their target and slang is developed to reduce those people to something less than human; hatred is pushed, and violence encouraged. The Left has been very divisive with “race”, the “have’s” verse the “have-nots”, “white privilege”, “Republicans”, “Conservatives”, “Christians”, “Pro Life”, “traditional marriage between one man and one woman”, LGBGQTRIDONTKNOW”, “Climate Change”; do I really need to go on?
    • Increase to heat of the rhetoric to include accusations against your opposition that make them appear to be militant about their prejudice.
    • Form groups to professionally demonstrate violently to sow terror in the hearts of the opposition
    • Come up with labels for your opposition that paint them as less than human, and not worth living (abortion, euthanasia, etc.).
    • Blame your opposition of doing things you are actually doing yourself.
    • Learn to persuade your constituents with carefully crafted “spin” of events, and do everything possible to control the narrative and debate.
    • Manipulate the laws so that your opposition can never win any election.
      • A great example is the move to eliminate the “Electoral College”. Those pushing for popular vote will give New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago total control of who is elected to office. Do you need reminders of which political ilk is the vast majority?
      • While your doing your research, study out why the Founders made sue to include The Electoral College in our Constitution.

There is so much more, and you will see that when you do your own research.

Where is America right now in this process?

Are we headed for a “Civil/Race/Economic/ War”?

Now the Leftist are spinning all their so-called evidence to impeach President Trump. I feel I need to remind you of what many of them have said on camera; They have admitted they are doing this because they can’t trust the American People to votes the way they want us to, so they have to take charge this way.

Are we too late?

Have we already reached the point of no return?

Will is take a civil war to make things right again?

Do you fellow believers in Christ really believe God can turn this all around?

What are you doing, to do your part?

Are the Mystery Drone Swarms Lingering Near Nuclear Missile Silos?

For weeks, mysterious unidentified flying objects over the Eastern Plains region of Colorado have vexed residents, law enforcement, the military, and state and federal officials.  Those who see them say they appear in the night sky, often several at a time, their locations marked by the light they emit. Audibly buzzing, they hover and maneuver in precise formations.

The mystery of their origin has gripped Colorado, where news of a sighting makes near-daily headlines and no one has yet copped to operating the aircraft. The state’s governor, Jared Polis, deployed the state plane to hunt them down after a pilot believed one of the objects came too close to a Flight for Life helicopter. And a constellation of government agencies has formed a task force to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Representatives from some 77 agencies, including the military and the FBI, met for a closed-door briefing in the small town of Brush on Jan. 6.

“The group is not going to discuss the details of its inner workings, and is not planning to provide incremental updates on its activities,” Ian Gregor, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson based in Los Angeles, told The Daily Beast. “But we will inform the public about any important developments.”

The FAA has reached out to UAS test sites, drone companies, and companies that have authorization to operate drones in the area, “but we have not been able to determine that any of these operators were the source of the reported drone flights,” an FAA statement read.

In the vacuum of any definitive answer about who might be responsible for the aircraft, theories have ricocheted around the internet. Media have been drawn to small towns on the Colorado-Nebraska border. A storm chaser crew is on the case. Some observers believe the UFOs could be alien visitors. Other locals say what they’ve been seeing are merely quadcopter-style drones.

“There’s nothing about these sightings that’s inconsistent with drone technologies, so why reach for the most extreme explanation?” Seth Shostak, an astronomer with the SETI Institute in California, which uses powerful sensors to search for aliens, told The Daily Beast.

“Besides, everyone knows that the alien spacecraft prefer the American Southwest,” Shostake joked. “Must be the Tex-Mex cuisine.”

What’s weird, even for those who discount the possibility that the UFOs are extraterrestrial in origin, is the low population of Eastern Colorado, an expanse of rural farmland. Why bother mounting such a sustained campaign of drone aerobatics in a place with so few people and so little industry?

“Everyone knows that the alien spacecraft prefer the American Southwest.”

Unless, of course, people and industry aren’t the targets. Some of the counties where drones have been spotted do butt up against F.E. Warren Air Force Base in neighboring Wyoming. There, airmen at the base man and protect around 200 underground silos housing Minuteman nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), each packing enough firepower to wipe out several cities. It’s disturbing enough to see formations of glowing drones maneuvering in a grid pattern over sparsely populated expanses of land. It’s more disturbing still to see them lingering near nuclear-missile silos.

Since residents first reported the UFOs around Dec. 20, local and state government officials, including the Air Force, have denied they have anything to do with the nocturnal air shows. No one can quite figure out what the apparent drones are doing, or why.

The mystery has become big news in Colorado.

Michael Yowell, a captain at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, has added drone patrol to his law enforcement beat. He told The Daily Beast he has seen the mysterious objects more than once over Hugo, a town with a population of fewer than 800.

An abnormal red light will appear on the horizon, he said, and soon a drone, or whatever it is, will buzz by overhead. He described the curious phenomenon to The Daily Beast as square in shape with red lights on the corners and a white light in the middle that move around at a consistent speed of about 45 miles per hour at a few hundred feet in the air regardless of the wind, emitting a low hum and high-pitched whine.

“It doesn’t sound like your normal drone,” he said. “It sounds like a motor. It sounds like a jetliner when you’re standing next to an airport.”

The Air Force and the other military branches operate thousands of unmanned aerial vehicles ranging from airliner-size Global Hawk spy drones to Reaper hunter-killers the size of Cessnas. The military equips many of its ground units and ships with hand-launched drones including quadcopter-style models. The small, radio-controlled UAVs help scout ahead of ships and ground troops and patrol sensitive sites such as air bases and potentially missile fields.

“It doesn’t sound like your normal drone. It sounds like a motor. It sounds like a jetliner when you’re standing next to an airport.”

In 2015, one of the Army’s hand-launched Raven drones strayed from Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, flew over the city, and crashed in a man’s yard. An investigation determined the operators had broken Army and FAA rules.  The Air Force in particular also uses small drones as targets for developing countermeasures against an enemy’s own drones. The 90th Missile Wing at F.E. Warren hosts a security squadron that protects the missile fields. Equipped like infantry and riding in Huey helicopters, the security airmen train to defend the ICBMs against protesters, criminals, terrorists, saboteurs and even clueless civilians who might wander toward the silos.

When cheap drones hit the market and terror groups began modifying them to carry explosives, the security airmen started carrying devices to track potential aerial intruders. Louisiana-based Air Force Global Strike Command, which oversees the service’s ICBMs, confirmed to the Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs that it conducts counter drone exercises out of F.E. Warren.

According to the Gazette, the security squadron at the base uses equipment developed by Dedrone in San Francisco. The Dedrone tech detects and pinpoints the radio signals that connect drones to their human operators. Testing the tech could require deploying actual drones over the base.

But Air Force Global Strike Command repeatedly has insisted the apparent drones people are seeing over Colorado aren’t its own.

“We can confirm that the drones spotted in Colorado and Nebraska are not from F.E. Warren Air Force Base,” command spokesperson Carla Pampe told The Daily Beast in a statement. “We do have counterdrone systems. But we cannot speak to specifics due to operational security.”

It turns out the Air Force is just as curious about the mystery objects flying near its silos as civilians. “F.E. Warren is working with the FAA, the FBI and state and local authorities to determine the origins and operators,” Pampe said.

On Jan. 13, the Colorado Department of Public Safety announced it was scaling back its  investigations into the drone sightings that have turned Eastern Colorado into the epicenter of a baffling post-holiday media sensation.

“Despite all of the reported activity, we are still unaware of any crime being committed,” the department’s director, Stan Hilkey, said in a statement. “While I can’t conclusively say we have solved the mystery, we have been able to rule out a lot of the activity that was causing concern.”

Back in Lincoln County, Captain Yowell believes investigators will likely crack the case with old-fashioned police work. Area law enforcement have been asking residents to report any activity they think might be related to the aerial objects.

“We all agree that the way this is finally going to get resolved is somebody on the ground — or these drones are going to be homed back to a certain location, and that’s where we’re going to get our break,” Yowell said.
