Since the boycott of Bud Light seems to have been a rousing success, many people are shifting focus to retail giant Target and its years of supporting radical LGBT groups — one of which even advocates to “transition” children without parental consent. It is so outrageous that even Elon Musk felt compelled to begin asking some questions about it.
Musk, who is considered center-left in most things political was shocked by a recent Fox News article that reported that Target has been supporting the radical gay group GLSEN for years, even though the group “calls for gender ideology to be integrated into all classes, even math,” and spends its donations to get American schools to comply with that policy.
In its tweet, Fox News also noted that GLSEN “encourages secret gender changes among children in schools.”

In its May 26 report, Fox News noted that Target is “partnering with a K-12 education group for which focuses on getting districts to adopt policies that will keep parents in the dark on their child’s in-school gender transition, providing sexually explicit books to schools for free, and integrating gender ideology at all levels of curriculum in public schools.”
Indeed, Fox even obtained a direct quote from Target saying how much they support the organization with their annual donations of tens of thousands.
“GLSEN leads the movement in creating affirming… and anti-racist spaces for LGBTQIA+ students. We are proud of 10+ years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission,” the retailer told Fox.
Fox goes on to explain what GLSEN does: “GLSEN calls for gender ideology to be integrated into all classes, even math. It provides educators instructions on how they can make math ‘more inclusive of trans and non-binary identities’ by including ‘they/them’ pronouns in word problems.”
“We advise on, advocate for, and research comprehensive policies designed to protect LGBTQ students as well as students of marginalized identities,” the group itself describes on its own site.
This group that Target has supported urges schools to add “intersex,” “transgender,” “non-binary” and other such left-wing “choices” of sexual identity into all class work from math to science, per Fox.
GLSEN tells schools to keep confidential any information about students “transitioning” or self-identifying as the opposite or some fantasy gender, and to make sure parents are not told of any such information unless explicitly approved by the child.
The group pushes a policy that maintains that schools and faculty “shall ensure that all personally identifiable and medical information relating to transgender and nonbinary students is kept confidential… Staff or educators shall not disclose any information that may reveal a student’s gender identity to others, including parents or guardian… This disclosure must be discussed with the student, prior to any action.”
In a Saturday news release condemning “right-wing extremists,” GLSEN attempted to spin that little nugget of information as such: “Supportive educators are a lifeline to students who do not have the freedom to be exactly who they are safely, and GLSEN will always fight back against policies that force educators to jeopardize student safety.”
The group also seeks to force schools to allow boys who claim to be transgender girls to play in school sports with the girls.
“To date,” Fox added, “the retail giant has donated at least $2.1 million to GLSEN.”
Fox’s shocking report spurred Twitter chief Elon Musk to ask, “Is this true, @Target?”
A Twitter “community note” also appeared on the tweet, noting that, “Target has donated to GLSEN for more than a decade: ‘Target annually supports GLSEN and its mission to create…spaces for LGBTQIA+ students.’” The note also presented links to the radical policies for which GLSEN advocates.
One Twitter user blasted Musk for asking the question, carping, “Oh come on, this is Fox News. You question CNN, MSNBC, but not Fox News? Don’t you think that this is hypocritical?”
But Musk pointed out that he literally was questioning the claims, and tweeted back, “Maybe it’s not true, hence the question.”
So far, Target has not made any statement past its quote to Fox that it supports GLSEN.
This newest wrinkle in Target’s big-dollar support of the radical LGBT lobby comes on the heels of a boycott effort over its “pride” merchandise and for partnering with a company that embraces satanism along with its LGBT advocacy. Target is now hemorrhaging money, as is Anheuser-Busch, following Bud Light’s decision to partner with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The bad news continues to mount for Target and Bud Light both, and conservatives must keep the pressure on these woke corporations. Examples must be made if we hope to reverse the wide trend in corporate America of donating billions to these organizations whose main goal is to groom our children for their disgusting sexual agenda.:

Country star John Rich — one half of the popular duo Big & Rich — penned a decidedly anti-woke song he dubbed “Progress” that rails against left-wing politics and culture and stands up for traditional American values. However, Rich told Just the News that he foresaw a problem getting a song that tells leftists to “stick your progress where the sun don’t shine” played on the radio and distributed to the masses. Mainly because the music industry also leans left.
So, Rich did an end-around on Friday, bypassing the music industry’s gatekeepers and instead releasing “Progress” on Truth Social — the platform started by former President Donald Trump — and on the Rumble video platform.
In just a few hours, “Progress” jumped to number one on iTunes, Just the News said, besting the likes of Billie Eilish and Lizzo and Beyonce. A quick glance Tuesday at PopVortex revealed that “Progress” is indeed the top song on the American iTunes charts.
“Here I am with no record label, no publisher, no marketing deal,” Rich told Just the News. “I just got a song that speaks to a lot of people, and Truth and Rumble pushed it out there. And man, I’m really proud of what we did today.”
A lyric in “Progress” takes aim at the forces that conspire to “shut down our voices,” and Rich explained to the outlet that he’s “talking about Twitter and YouTube and Facebook. And I thought, ‘You know what? I’m gonna reach out to Truth Social and reach out to Rumble because they still allow free speech over there.’ Why would I launch this song on the platforms that I’m railing against in the lyrics?”
Rich added to Just the News that his launch experiment is “bypassing this machine that they’ve built, going right around the machine, going right to the people. It means that if you bring the right content, and you have people like Truth and Rumble that will get that message to your core audience, you can beat the machine that’s been put in place to keep people like me shut down.”
He also told the outlet that “the problem with country radio” isn’t the DJs or others at country music stations; instead “it’s the people way up the food chain that run the conglomerates that have bought up 90% of all of our radio stations … a big [contingent] of them … do not like anybody bucking their woke system.”
Still, Rich added to Just the News that “there’s a few good ones in there. And when I say ‘good,’ I mean, you know, ‘lean conservative.’ They want free space; they want artists to be heard.”
The author of “Progress” revealed to the outlet how his new song was born.
“I’m watching what I consider to be the dismantling of our country at a lot of different levels,” Rich told Just the News. “And when you sit back and look at it, the vast majority of it’s being perpetuated on us under the banner of ‘progress.’ Like in the name of progress we’re going to send gasoline through the roof so you have to buy an electric car. In the name of progress, we’re going to let anybody and everybody into our country, and if that means we get overrun with fentanyl and every other bad thing, well, so be it. Because that’s progressive: You need to be open-minded and open borders in the name of progress. They target our kids in the name of progress; they do all these things that are actually the opposite of that. They’re regressive. They’re not constructive, they’re destructive.”

Bill Maher is lying. To his audience. And to himself.
He’s no longer a loyal Democrat. He’s anti-Trump. And his enthusiasm for Trump resistance is rapidly waning.
The liberal comedian’s HBO talk show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” has turned into a weekly ray of hope for those of us praying America snaps out of its left-wing fascism revolution.
Every Friday night, it seems, Maher finds a way to trash the woke, and every Saturday morning across social media platforms, conservatives gleefully share his most recent rebuke of the left.
The latest episode of his show convinced me that Maher has been red-pilled and that former President Donald Trump is the sole reason Maher won’t admit it. Trump is the only thing holding together the Democratic Party. He fig-leafs progressive insanity.
On Friday, Maher opened his panel discussion addressing the Biden administration’s catastrophic handling of our withdrawal from Afghanistan. Maher trashed Trump and then declared that the former president couldn’t have made a bigger mess than the current one.
Panelist Jackie Calmes, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times, vapidly responded:
“You know how you always say, ‘I can’t believe Trump did that.’ Nothing he did would make you think he’d hit bottom, and then … Well, it could be worse.”
That should be the slogan of the Democratic Party: “It could be worse.”
To his credit, Maher pushed back and demanded that Calmes explain how things could be worse. She had no answer. She backpedaled, claiming she wasn’t trying to defend the Biden administration.
The left is a house of Trump cards. Remove Trump and the progressive movement immediately collapses beneath the weight of its bulls**t. Remove Trump and the left can’t defend the authoritarian actions it’s taking to overhaul America’s cultural norms.
Without Trump, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey would be viewed as treasonous villains for their censorship of free speech. Trump resistance justifies infringement of the Constitution’s First Amendment. Big Tech, especially smartphones, has too much influence over American society. On Friday, Maher ended his show explaining the negative impact of our cellular devices. Maher understands that smartphones and social media apps are disconnecting and dividing us.
Trump resistance is the lone catalyst and justification for corporate media framing the events at the Capitol on Jan. 6 as an “insurrection.” The insurrection is the Big Lie. No one authentically believes you can overthrow the government with flagpoles, moose heads, and zip ties. The Taliban staged an insurrection in Afghanistan. Trump supporters staged an unruly, criminal protest that never reached the level of violence seen at a typical Antifa or Black Lives Matter protest.
Without Trump, the left would have to vigorously defend its contention that men can be “birthing people.” It would also be forced to defend allowing biological men to compete against women in sports.
Would America’s laissez-faire policy at our southern border exist without Trump? Our immigration policy makes no sense. It can’t be defended. It doesn’t serve the greater good of our country. It is as big a mess as Afghanistan. We’re allowing illegal immigrants to flood our country simply because doing so is anti-Trump.
Critical race theory depends on Trump resistance for legitimacy. It can’t survive scrutiny and analysis. On Friday, Maher and his interview guest, gay conservative writer Andrew Sullivan, mocked the New York Times 1619 Project and complained that the left has moved away from the goal of a color-blind society.
You should watch Friday’s show. It was amazing. Maher flirted with multiple third rails, including suggesting that vaccines and masks shouldn’t be regarded as a more important response to COVID than exercise, losing weight, and a healthy diet.
Watching Maher on Friday made me ponder what the world would be like if Trump abandoned politics. Would it hasten the collapse of the fascist left? If you removed the Trump card, would it force the fake leftists to confront the fraudulence of the rest of the progressives’ hand?
I believe, at this point, the majority of leftists are fake. Black people, the house pets of liberals, are required to hate Trump and all conservatives. Gangbangers and drug dealers command more respect in the black community than black Trump supporters.
There’s nearly as much pressure on white people. Who wants the baggage of being assumed racist for espousing conservative beliefs? Disavow Trump and supporting leftist policy protects you from accusations of homophobia, racism, and misogyny. Pretending to be a Democrat exempts you from being held accountable for any violations of political correctness. Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel co-hosted “The Man Show” and performed in blackface. He’s in good standing. Meanwhile, “Jeopardy” just canceled its brand-new host because of things he said on a podcast no one listened to 10 years ago.
Maher recognizes this hypocrisy. And he likely knows that he would be canceled, too, if he didn’t keep up the charade of being a loyal Democrat and devout Trump hater.
Trump hate is the Democratic platform. It justifies Afghanistan, the border, 20 new genders, censorship, critical racism theory, mandating experimental vaccines, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Sometimes I think Trump has proven his point. He awakened the public to the swamp, the financial alliance among global corporations, political elites, and America’s adversaries.
Does he have more to offer? Or is he now an impediment, a blinding force that stops well-intentioned people from seeing the damage the other side is doing to America?
Could Trump save America by stepping aside and fully exposing the lunacy of the Left?
What I’m suggesting reminds me of the strategy that civil rights workers used to defeat segregationists. Bible-carrying men and women put on their Sunday-best clothes and let photographers and cameramen document the behavior of bigots. The images won the civil rights movement. Compelling liberals to defend their agenda without their trusty Trump card would unmask their wickedness.
The Los Angeles Times published an analysis of President-elect Joe Biden’s forthcoming policies and concluded that he wants to “make America California again.” Not the Ronald Reagan version: rather, the contemporary left-wing bubble.
The Times noted:
California is emerging as the de facto policy think tank of the Biden-Harris administration and of a Congress soon to be under Democratic control. That’s rekindling past cliches about the state — incubator of innovation, premier laboratory of democracy, land of big ideas — even as it struggles with surging COVID-19 infections, a safety net frayed by the pandemic’s toll, crushing housing costs and wildfires, all fueling an exodus of residents.
There is no place the incoming administration is leaning on more heavily for inspiration in setting a progressive policy agenda.
California has also supplied Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). But it is less a “model” of a particular set of policies than an example of what the left does when it no longer has an opposition.
California is one of the wealthiest states — and also one of the poorest, with a disproportionate share of the nation’s welfare cases. The middle class is emptying out — taking with it the state’s traditionally Republican constituency.
Geographer Joel Kotkin wrote in 2018:
Rather than serving primarily as a role model, California today should be seen as much a cautionary tale. We certainly produce great wealth, but also far too much poverty. To be sure, California is now home to four of the 15 richest people on the planet and 70 percent of the 56 billionaires under 40; the Bay Area remains the most prodigious producer of high wage tech-related jobs.
But for much of the middle and working classes, more serious has been the erosion of higher-wage blue collar jobs, which have dropped by 500,000 since 2000 and by over 300,000 since the Great Recession alone. In contrast, minimum or near-minimum wage jobs accounted in 2015-16, notes the state’s Business Roundtable, for almost two-thirds of the state’s new job growth.
As companies began fleeing the state’s high-tax, high-regulation environment, then-Gov. Jerry Brown acknowledged the problem, but quipped that “smart people figure out how to make it.”Increasingly, they “make it” in other states, like Texas.
In very basic ways, California is utterly dysfunctional. Last year, it had to implement rolling blackouts because solar and wind energy, the result of years of “green” policy, could not provide the power to keep the lights on in a heat wave.
The Democrats who run the state are sheltered from the consequences of their policies by the fact that talented people are still drawn to Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and the Golden State’s unparalleled climate. Thanks to the success of Big Tech and Wall Street, the state has a projected budget surplus of $15 billion in the middle of a global economic crisis.
California is expected to lose one congressional seat after the latest census, which showed the state losing population.
Now, it’s long been the practice of the political class to frame their mission as beyond the understanding of the average voter.
It’s not, of course; this viewpoint has been advanced in order to exalt the role of politicians and to ensure that voters defer to those pols’ whims, as opposed to their own better judgment.
Then, there’s the belief on the part of progressive leaders that people, in general, are too stupid to govern themselves in the fashion our founders intended; thus the rationale for advancing socialism in the first place.
I’ll elaborate on that in a moment.
Finally, there’s the fact that many Americans really don’t understand the machinations of politics and governance.
My parents’ generation and those preceding them were required to know the fundamentals of American governance, as were those in the process of becoming naturalized citizens.
Over the last 60 years or so, progressives in government and the educational system phased out the study of Civics in order to bring about the very conditions that currently exist.
At the same time, politicians have also fostered a level of intellectual indolence on the part of the public, which further reinforces their dependence on the “wisdom” of elected officials.
So, the stupidity leftist politicians cite (usually in private) is really far more ignorance than stupidity.
Even amongst those Americans who deeply respect our Constitution and our system of governance, there are probably very few who appreciate how unique and distinctive these truly are.
Prior to 1776, people were ruled by monarchs and oligarchs. Applying ancient wisdom – some of which was biblical – the founders of this nation sought to create a form of government that might receive the stamp of approval from the Creator.
They knew that flawed human beings would only be able to get so close to this ideal, but that didn’t stop them from trying.
In 1776, the idea of citizens governing themselves was a radical one, but the results of the American experiment became so favored that European nations (from which much of our society and culture sprang) gave over to democratic republican governance in fairly short order.
Even today, few who take the time to really acquaint themselves with the elegance and inspired vision of our founders as represented in our founding documents are not moved to deep emotion.
The process was difficult.
Anyone who has studied the period of America’s founding and the correspondence between our founders finds themselves in awe of the fact that America was founded at all.
America’s subsequent successes and its role as a force for good in the world speak for themselves.
While it is something of an oversimplification, this is how it all came under the gun, as it were: In the beginning of the last century, would-be oligarchs in the emergent political class and their industrialist cronies began to see themselves as effective heirs to the rulers of centuries past.
Part of this was due to a deep conceit, although it also is an unfortunate component of human nature that in looking to the future, we often seek to abandon things of the past, even if they have served us well.
With the advent of socialism, communism and secularized worldviews, it was only natural that an assortment of scoundrels who craved power, though they had nothing whatsoever to contribute to society, insinuated themselves into positions of power.
Encouraging ignorance with regard to the mechanics of governance set the stage for selling citizens this “new” system of socialism as a panacea for the world’s ills. Demonizing capitalism, our system of governance and our founders themselves as retrograde and iniquitous was necessary as part of this process.
The leftist radicals of the 1960s – whose vision is being sloppily if ruthlessly implemented at present – did have a point in their argument that our government had come to serve itself and far too many powerful interests at the expense of the people. Their solution, however, was to become the government and to occupy other positions of power, and this they achieved largely through socialist rhetoric.
In truth, it is socialism in its various incarnations (communism, liberalism, progressivism) that is retrograde, because it relegates self-governance to the dustbin of history whilst handing political power back to the oligarchs. The most dynamic and terrifying efforts we are currently seeing toward bringing this about are obviously coming from the far left wing of the Democrat Party, although closeted progressives among Republican leaders are equally to blame.
While a majority of Americans remain blissfully unaware of what is at stake by design, the fact is that we are at war. Some of the clearest evidence of this involves the criminal cabal that’s attempting to oust a duly-elected president who does understand what’s at stake. Their efforts toward removing him, the incomprehensibly perilous policies they advocate, their duplicity to date and the atrocities of their political forebears necessitate decisive and potent action against them on a scale that is likely to challenge Americans’ sensibilities.
Look to the wretchedness of any nation or region that has implemented socialistic public policy – whether Venezuela, Europe or Scandinavia – and it quickly becomes apparent that there is nothing we ought not consider to entirely and permanently neutralize this scourge.

There’s an apocryphal Chinese curse that was famously invoked by Robert Kennedy in 1966: “May you live in interesting times.” The tumultuous 1960s were without a doubt “interesting,” with riots and even assassinations tainting the decade. Politically motivated radical violence not only shattered communities, but also took the lives of figures including Robert Kennedy himself, making his statement tragically prescient.
Thankfully, the America of 2018 is not yet at that point, and no sane person wants to see that chaos return. However, violent clashes are now a reality during our era, and it’s hard to escape the comparison between today’s radicals and the leftist rioters of 50 years past.
That violence was on full display several days ago in Portland, Oregon, a distinctly liberal city. That’s where the right-leaning group Patriot Prayer was protested by the far-left and frequently violent group “Antifa,” and one video clip from the melee has gone viral.
During a clash between Patriot Prayer, Antifa, and a far-right group called the Proud Boys, all hell broke loose… but footage of a female Patriot member not just holding her own but physically dominating an Antifa goon shows that the radical left may have bitten off more than it can chew.
“#Antifa would like you to refrain from making this into a GIF and using it all the time,”wrote Adam Richard on Twitter, along with a short clip of the altercation. “It’s not good for their image when their [Antifa] ‘soldiers’ get the s–t kicked out of them by Patriot Women. #PatriotPrayer.”

In the footage, a woman who is apparently part of the right-leaning Patriot Prayer group appears to have gotten the best of an Antifa rioter, and pummels him on the ground as cameras record the action. A longer video of the larger clash revealed what can only be described as chaos as various political groups battled on the streets (the clip excerpted in the Richard tweet comes about the 1:30 mark). (see below)
Let’s be clear: We don’t condone violence except in cases of self-defense.
The details around this incident are murky, but several reports indicate that Patriot Prayer members were following the law and exercising non-violent free speech when they were essentially ambushed by antifa, a group that openly advocates violence against conservative Americans whom it has labeled “fascists.”
According to the U.K. Guardian, the Patriot Prayer group — which has officially disowned racism or premeditated violence — had the proper permits to hold a lawful free-speech rally near the downtown area in Portland.
Patriot Prayer participants complied with the city’s request that they not carry weapons or defensive tools like pepper spray, but it looks like Antifa didn’t play by the same rules.
“The far-right march had started near Schrunk Plaza in the city center, where the rightwing group had held a rally, led by the Patriot Prayer founder and Republican US Senate candidate Joey Gibson,” the newspaper reported.
“As soon as the group left the plaza, they clashed with anti-fascists who had been waiting across a heavily barricaded street nearby,”the Guardian continued.
“While anti-fascists used pepper spray, Patriot Prayer members had been unable to take theirs into a federal park. The melee lasted several minutes before Portland police revoked the permit for the march and cleared the street,”the paper stated.
Many participants and organizers of the right-leaning rally expressed outrage that city officials had initially granted their permit to assemble, but then seemingly stood by and allowed violent Antifa members to turn what was meant as a non-violent demonstration into a bloody clash of fists.
“Regular Patriot Prayer rally attendee Katherine Townsend told the group that Portland police had ‘set us up,’ and accused them of ‘disarming us and herding us towards Antifa,’” reported the Guardian.
“Portland police allowed criminals to charge our permitted march then declared our march a riot and revoked our permit,”said Gibson, the founder of the Patriot Prayer group.
Gibson said Portland police “stand down” when it comes to allowing leftists to attack peaceful demonstrations.
“Portland’s the last city on the West Coast that’s doing that, so we just have to keep hitting it — I don’t see what else to do other than that,” Gibson said. “We’ll make Portland so ugly in terms of how they allow these protesters to charge us when we have a permit. The police stood down. We were told they would not stand down, so we have to challenge it.”
There are a few important takeaways from these videos. The first is just how dishonest the liberal claims of “tolerance” truly are.
As the footage shows, liberals — at least the increasingly emboldened far-left variety — have no interest in tolerating opposing viewpoints or “coexisting” with people who disagree with their politics. Instead, they want to attack and fight them, while conveniently labeling almost everyone including the president of the United States a “fascist.”
The second takeaway is that they seem to have underestimated conservatives. This viral video clip of a right-leaning woman dominating a rioter with ease is a hint that the radical left may have only awoken the proverbial sleeping giant, and it is unprepared for the consequences.

Nothing says “enlightened and tolerant” quite like assault and property destruction. A liberal university student was caught on camera committing both, after she was “triggered” by conservative students telling the truth about socialism.
During an event held at Santa Clara University, the conservative group Turning Point USA hosted a peaceful anti-socialist demonstration. According to Campus Reform, local students held an event May 31 that recognized the millions of innocent people killed under socialist and communist regimes.
Estimates vary, but the death toll from far-left governments is believed to be in the tens of millions, if not more.
The Black Book of Communism, published by Harvard University, estimates a death toll of near 100 million from communism and socialism, with the Soviet Union and China responsible for the most atrocities.
One liberal, however, couldn’t handle being calmly presented with facts.
“Incensed by the display, an outraged individual approached the TPUSA students as they were tabling nearby, ripping up their anti-socialist posters and calling them ‘a bunch of f—ing Trump supporters,” reported Campus Reform.
The tirade was also captured on video.
“(T)he student was seen standing close to the student organizers and ripping one of the event posters that was taped to their table. The activist also vocally defended some socialist governments, and criticized capitalist exploitation of poor nations,”the outlet reported.
Apparently destroying someone else’s property is completely fine as long as you claim to stand with the poor, while ignoring the appalling poverty of socialist nations like Venezuela.
The radical liberal’s rant became even more physical.
“In addition to her verbal tirade, the instigator also allegedly attempted to flip over the chapter’s table in the direction of several student members and slap the phone of TPUSA chapter president Rhaaghav Kanodia out of his hand,” Campus Reform stated.
When a military cadet with a college ROTC group tried to talk to the woman, she insulted his uniform and declared it was only used “to shoot brown people.” Classy.
For their part, the conservative students kept their cool.
“According to the video obtained by Campus Reform, as well as eyewitness testimony, not a single member of the TPUSA chapter physically confronted the instigator. Instead, the students calmly attempted to hold a conversation with the activist before asking her to leave the area,” that outlet reported.
“When the chapter president asked the woman to ‘please be respectful or leave,’ the instigator told him to ‘sit your a– down’ and ‘shut the f— up,’ according to witnesses. The woman ultimately fled the area when campus security approached the scene.”
Student members of Turning Point USA expressed frustration that even when presented with evidence, campus officials do almost nothing to protect conservative free speech or hold out-of-control leftists accountable for their actions.
The ability to deal with uncomfortable information, and to calmly debate a topic of disagreement, is the hallmark of an adult, educated person.
Increasingly, it looks like liberal college students are graduating with paper degrees, but almost no tolerance for other people or diverse views.
Kanye West and Candace Owens appear to be free from the crippling liberal chains that bind many in the black community and the groupthink that comes with it.

10. Huffiness
We rushed to cast everyone in one of three roles: victim, victimizer, or champion of the oppressed. We lived our lives in a constant state of outraged indignation. I did not want to live that way anymore. I wanted to cultivate a disposition of gratitude. I wanted to see others, not as victims or victimizers, but as potential friends, as loved creations of God.
9. Selective Outrage
I was an active leftist for decades. I never witnessed significant leftist outrage over clitoridectomy, child marriage, honor killing, sharia-inspired rape laws, stoning, or acid attacks. Nothing. Zip. Crickets. I’m not saying that that outrage does not exist. I’m saying I never saw it.
The left’s selective outrage convinced me that much canonical, left-wing feminism is not so much support for women, as it is a protest against Western, heterosexual men. It’s an “I hate” phenomenon, rather than an “I love” phenomenon.
8. It’s the thought that counts
When Dr. Goska was younger, she was a member of the Peace Corps. She recalls a gathering of her leftist friends singing and drinking, and the realization that much of what they did was all self-congratulatory instead of focusing on real change needed.
We focused so hard on our good intentions. Before our deployment overseas, Peace Corps vetted us for our idealism and “tolerance,” not for our competence or accomplishments. We all wanted to save the world. What depressingly little we did accomplish was often erased with the next drought, landslide, or insurrection.
Peace Corps did not focus on the “small beginnings”necessary to accomplish its grandiose goals. Schools rarely ran, girls and low caste children did not attend, and widespread corruption guaranteed that all students received passing grades. Those students who did learn had no jobs where they could apply their skills, and if they rose above their station, the hereditary big men would sabotage them. Thanks to cultural relativism, we were forbidden to object to rampant sexism or the caste system. “Only intolerant oppressors judge others’cultures.”
7. Leftists hate my people.
Dr. Goska explains that Leftists didn’t like the ‘blue-collar’working class, devout Catholics, or anyone that seeks to keep hold of their ethnic identity.
Their true disdain was for poor white people.
Leftists freely label poor whites as “redneck,” “white trash,” “trailer trash,” and “hillbilly.”At the same time that leftists toss around these racist and classist slurs, they are so sanctimonious they forbid anyone to pronounce the N word when reading Mark Twain aloud. President Bill Clinton’s advisor James Carville succinctly summed up leftist contempt for poor whites in his memorable quote, “Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.”
The left’s visceral hatred of poor whites overflowed like a broken sewer when John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate in 2008. It would be impossible, and disturbing, to attempt to identify the single most offensive comment that leftists lobbed at Palin. One can report that attacks on Palin were so egregious that leftists themselves publicly begged that they cease; after all, they gave the left a bad name. The Reclusive Leftist blogged in 2009 that it was a “major shock” to discover “the extent to which so many self-described liberals actually despise working people.”The Reclusive Leftist focuses on Vanity Fair journalist Henry Rollins. Rollins recommends that leftists “hate-fuck conservative women”and denounces Palin as a “small town hickoid”who can be bought off with a coupon to a meal at a chain restaurant.
6. I believe in God.
Hang out in leftist internet environments, and you will discover a toxic bath of irrational hatred for the Judeo-Christian tradition. You will discover an alternate vocabulary in which Jesus is a “dead Jew on a stick” or a “zombie” and any belief is an arbitrary sham, the equivalent of a recently invented “flying spaghetti monster.” You will discover historical revisionism that posits Nazism as a Christian denomination. You will discover a rejection of the Judeo-Christian foundation of Western Civilization and American concepts of individual rights and law.
5. Straw men & 4. “In order to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs.”
It astounds me now to reflect on it, but never, in all my years of leftist activism, did I ever hear anyone articulate accurately the position of anyone to our right. In fact, I did not even know those positions when I was a leftist.
“Truth is that which serves the party.”The capital-R revolution was such a good, it could eliminate all that was bad, that manipulating facts was not even a venial sin; it was a good. If you want to make an omelet, you have to break a few eggs. One of those eggs was objective truth.
3. It doesn’t work. & 2. Other approaches work better.
I live in Paterson [New Jersey]. I teach its young. My students are hogtied by ignorance. I find myself speaking to young people born in the U.S. in a truncated pidgin I would use with a train station chai wallah in Calcutta.
Many of my students lack awareness of a lot more than vocabulary. They don’t know about believing in themselves, or stick-to-itiveness. They don’t realize that the people who exercise power over them have faced and overcome obstacles. I know they don’t know these things because they tell me. One student confessed that when she realized that one of her teachers had overcome setbacks it changed her own life.
My students do know — because they have been taught this — that America is run by all-powerful racists who will never let them win. My students know — because they have been drilled in this — that the only way they can get ahead is to locate and cultivate those few white liberals who will pity them and scatter crumbs on their supplicant, bowed heads and into their outstretched palms. My students have learned to focus on the worst thing that ever happened to them, assume that it happened because America is unjust, and to recite that story, dirge-like, to whomever is in charge, from the welfare board to college professors, and to await receipt of largesse.
1. Hate.
Those posting messages in this left-wing forum publicly announced that they did what they did every day, from voting to attending a rally to planning a life, because they wanted to destroy something, and because they hated someone, rather than because they wanted to build something, or because they loved someone. You went to an anti-war rally because you hated Bush, not because you loved peace. Thus, when Obama bombed, you didn’t hold any anti-war rally, because you didn’t hate Obama.
I experienced powerful cognitive dissonance when I recognized the hate. The rightest of my right-wing acquaintances — I had no right-wing friends — expressed nothing like this. My right-wing acquaintances talked about loving: God, their family, their community. I’m not saying that the right-wingers I knew were better people; I don’t know that they were. I’m speaking here, merely, about language…
…I needed to leave the left, I realized, when I decided that I wanted to spend time with people building, cultivating, and establishing, something that they loved.
Wow. Those are some powerful reasons to abandon Leftism. And anyone with a social media account knows that there is a lot of hate out there. There are some people that post every single thing in ALL CAPS BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO EXPRESS THEIR ANGER AT EVERYONE ALL THE TIME!

The teachings of the Left include discrediting the Bible and replacing religion with social justice, dishonoring America and family, controlling the schools and curricula, and normalizing promiscuity. The Left has set about “deconstructing” (breaking down) the child’s psychology, removing every facet of life that provides the sense of security needed to create a mature, stable, responsible, independent, confident, and productive adult who will contribute to a free society. And it is through today’s schools that they are deconstructing our children in order to destroy the free society.
Education reformers are damaging the children’s psyche with gender redefinition, creating dysfunctional adults with confused purpose.
California lawmakers are proposing SB48; radicals, elitists and pseudo-experts are selling corruption disguised as freedom, promoting homosexual lifestyles while reducing morality and responsibility.
Under Common Core, fine literature that hones our comprehension and creative skills, teaching initiative and courage, are replaced with dystopian literature that adds to their sadness, immorality, and overall impairment. Mis-education is becoming un-education.
Cursive writing, known to enhance creativity, is removed from curricula, and restricts the student’s ability to read our founding documents, understand their rights, and be prone to subservience to a master regime.
Common core began with higher standards, intentionally designed to frustrate and make for unhappy students. Standards were then lowered across the board, to falsely lift self-esteem, reduce achievement and raise grades, but not in keeping with maturity and ability levels.
Fatherless households lead to irresponsibility, rebellion, and crime; welfare policies encourage unmarried motherhood and incomplete families.
Schools discredit our Judeo-Christian roots and allegiance to our country, but dwell on Islam and socialism.
There is growing disrespect for police and government.
Limiting free speech has prevented students from hearing opposing views, and the schools from providing a genuine education. They are fed ideas of Socialism/Marxism, globalism, and Islamism, and cannot reason, understand, or face ideas not within their realm of indoctrination.
Schools are creating young fascists who are taught to march, rage and destroy, yet cannot articulate their purpose.
The future workforce is reduced through dysfunctional children and entitlement programs, and open to replacement by migrants who bring their tyrannical way of life with them.
And now, another assault against the children has appeared in the offing, perhaps the most egregious. A mandate that first became evident in some English schools several years ago, now seen in some Canadian and American schools, is that children should be discouraged from having “best friends.”England’s Thomas’s Battersea school has determined, with the agreement of some (but by no means all) parents and psychologists, that group bonding would encourage inclusion of all children and prevent rejection of the few.
The strength one gets from a best-friend relationship, if removed, may be sufficient to create enough despair where the individual will seek comfort in an ever-expanding government (the Marxist purpose). As with any detrimental Leftist concept, this technique is couched as an appeal for sympathy and compassion for those who are slow to bond with a best friend, but its stealth purpose is a means of assuring equalization by removing the securities of friendship.
Of course, not all children will immediately develop warm friendships, but should that be the norm to impose on others? Our schools have already lowered standards to meet the levels of lower achievers. Should we also remove music and the arts with deference to the less gifted, or impose a veritable “eye for an eye” on behalf of those with poorer vision? Would not our population be better served by a sensitive teacher to help all the children overcome their timidity and fears, learn the art of conversation, and develop the social graces needed to negotiate their future? For school personnel to reduce every student to his or her lowest common denominator is a Marxist technique. Already implemented in grading, it guarantees equality to the masses with obedience to the authorities, and where equality is imposed, freedoms are sacrificed.
There are many quotes about the value of friends, four of which I thought prudent to include here:
“When it hurts to look back, and you’re scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there” – Anonymous.
“My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me” – Henry Ford.
“Things are never quite as scary when you’ve got a best friend” – Bill Watterson.
“A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend, one human soul whom we can trust utterly, who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults” – Charles Kingsley.
The benefits of friendship are many and unique. We are social beings and friends fill a psychological need for survival, to cope with life’s trials and to remain inspired. A friend is an eager companion, one who provides praise and kindly given criticism, and a way for us to learn trust and support. Friends are there for comfort and to teach us about respect, sharing, thought, discussion and debate, analysis and problem-solving; simply put, they bring us happiness. Vital for our emotional wellbeing, best friends provide what parents and teachers cannot, particularly because the adults are less than perfect or may have, themselves, been deprived of best friends.
The lack of close friends results in emotional distress – loneliness, sadness, emptiness, withdrawal – which can also take its toll on physical health. It is known to be the leading reason for delinquency, school dropouts, antisocial personality disorder and suicide. In adults, loneliness precipitates depression and alcoholism, and stress with sleep disorders and multiple medical problems. Psychologist John Cacioppo of the University of Chicago concluded that social skills are crucial for mental and physical wellbeing.
In geographic situations that contribute to isolation, but where children may turn to books of imagination, challenge and rewards, achievement and travel, one might anticipate emotional success. But today’s educational system has removed such books and replaced them with dystopian novels, where the characters are immersed in loneliness, sadness, defeat, and an environment bereft of reason. The stories provide situations of crises from which the characters may not always extricate themselves. Therefore, with no escape and nowhere to vent, the child can lose his individuality, creativity and the chance to form valuable coping skills, and be drawn to any available group mentality, as well as drug abuse and alcoholism.
Robbing the children of the necessary human encounter and intimacy conforms to Leftist ideologies, which intend to destroy all social, economic, and political artifacts of classical liberalism. We see disintegration of the old society and family in the history of the Soviet Union, but, significantly, there are parallels in Islam’s jihadi warriors who emerge from emotional solitude and emptiness. The Arabic term, Asabiyah, defined in Kobrin’s The Jihadi Dictionary, is comparable to group consciousness, group-think, and the loss of individuality. By destroying intimacy, empathy and compassion, the group creates the shame-honor culture, using passive-aggressive behavior of intimidation and scapegoating. Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the aim and end of human existence.
The child who is friendless and isolated, bereft of independence and initiative, responds with obedience, guilt, and lying to protect himself from being ostracized. He may then be vulnerable to joining violent Leftist movements or submitting to Islamic radicalization.
A civilization becoming a shadow of its former greatness – this is the gift of the Left.

the same time that leftists toss around these racist and classist slurs, they are so sanctimonious they forbid anyone to pronounce the N word when reading Mark Twain aloud. President Bill Clinton’s advisor James Carville succinctly summed up leftist contempt for poor whites in his memorable quote, 
who will never let them win. My students know — because they have been drilled in this — that the only way they can get ahead is to locate and cultivate those few white liberals who will pity them and scatter crumbs on their supplicant, bowed heads and into their outstretched palms. My students have learned to focus on the worst thing that ever happened to them, assume that it happened because America is unjust, and to recite that story, dirge-like, to whomever is in charge, from the welfare board to college professors, and to await receipt of largesse.
