President Donald Trump today told hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans gathered for the March for Life that he will sign a bill the House passed today to protect babies born alive after abortions.
In a major decision today that will be hailed by the pro-life movement as it participates in the March for Life, President Donald Trump made it easier for states to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

Post columnist Maureen Callahan sought to interject some reality into the elation some have professed at the prospect of a Winfrey presidency.
In her piece, “What does Oprah represent? Fake science, hucksters and greed,” Callahan first noted some of the accolades Oprah received from Hollywood stars.
“I’m on the bus with Oprah,” ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel said.
“I want her to run for president,” Academy Award-winner Meryl Streep added.
Even NBC tweeted a pictured of Oprah with the caption, “Nothing but respect for OUR future president,” which it has since deleted.
Winfrey’s longtime partner Stedman Graham told the Los Angeles Times Sunday night following the Globes, “She would absolutely do it,” when asked about a presidential run.
Callhan’s response is to all the clamor is, “She should absolutely not.”
“Yes, Winfrey is a singular presence in the culture,” Callahan conceded. “She is entirely self-made and a decades-long mover in television, film, publishing and philanthropy. As of 2017, she was one of only two women on Forbes’s Black Female Billionaires list. There is much to admire.”
“But none of this makes her fit to be leader of the free world,” the writer added. “And just because the precedent has been set with Donald Trump — to horrible effect — doesn’t mean the Democrats should run a charismatic celebrity with zero credentials. Not Tom Hanks, not The Rock, not Oprah Winfrey.”
Callahan went on to offer other reasons Americans should think before getting on the Winfrey train. She particularly highlighted Winfrey’s endorsement of books like 2006’s “The Secret” and New Age gurus including Eckhart Tolle, who preached about vacuous beliefs like “The Power of Now.”
The Washington Post reported while the American public does not know too much about her political views, Winfrey has made some of them known.
She endorsed both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for president. Winfrey also stated that her faith teaches her that God makes people gay, so she supports LGBT rights.
“The God I serve doesn’t care whether you’re tall or short, or whether you were born black or Asian or gay,” Winfrey said of Ellen DeGeneres in 1997. “And so that’s just a difference of belief. And I don’t expect to change your belief today.”
“I believe God created Ellen,” she added. “I believe God did that. Ellen says she’s gay. I believe God created her gay. … I support her right to be who she thinks she is.”
Winfrey also supports increased gun control measures, as she stated in 2013 during a commencement address at Harvard University.
“We understand that the vast majority of people in this country believe in stronger background checks because they realize that we can uphold the Second Amendment and also reduce the violence that is robbing us of our children,” she said. “They don’t have to be incompatible.”
In June of last year, Winfrey told The Hollywood Reporter, “I will never run for public office.”
President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday he does not believe Oprah will run in 2020, but if she did it would be “a lot of fun.”

“Whatever happened to Podesta?” “They closed their firm, they left in disgrace, the whole thing, and now you never heard of anything,” the president said during a wide-ranging New York Times interview.
Trump was referring to Tony Podesta, the founder of The Podesta Group and brother of former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. Like members of Trump’s presidential campaign, Podesta has also found himself at the center of Mueller’s growing FBI inquiry.
During The Times interview, the president said he believed Muller would treat him fairly, but he also expressed frustration that Podesta has seemingly escaped scrutiny since stepping down from the firm he founded in October.
The long-time Democrat is under investigation for activities similar to those of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. Manafort, having a long history of lobbying for foreign entities, led a public relations campaign for a nonprofit called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine. Podesta Group also took part in promoting Ukraine in the United States, being one of several firms that were paid to do public relations work, according to Politico.
His group filed paperwork with the Justice Department indicating that it had worked on behalf of the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, benefiting the same Ukrainian political party that Manafort advised. In late October, Manafort was indicted on an array of charges that included money laundering, failing to disclose overseas bank accounts, operating as an agent of the Ukrainian government and making false statements to federal authorities.
Trump severed ties with Manafort during the election as it became apparent law enforcement was looking into him. The president has since tried to put distance between himself and the beleaguered lobbyist.
“Paul only worked for me for a few months,” he explained.
“Paul worked for Ronald Reagan. His firm worked for John McCain, worked for Bob Dole, worked for many Republicans for far longer than he worked for me. And you’re talking about what Paul was many years ago before I ever heard of him. He worked for me for — what was it, three and a half months?”
Podesta, for his part, has not endured much public scrutiny since stepping down from his firm a couple months ago and it’s not exactly known what action federal authorities will take regarding his investigation. Along with believing that more attention should be placed on Podesta’s past lobbying activities, the Republican president spoke at length about the FBI investigation that has haunted his first year in the White House.
Pushing back against their allegations, the president said that Democrats concocted claims of Russian collusion “as a hoax, as a ruse, as an excuse for losing an election.” Trump also asserted that “everybody knows” his 2016 campaign staff did not collude with any Russian officials and even reversed the accusations by suggesting Democrats were the ones who worked with Russians during the presidential election.
Around seven months have passed since Muller was appointed to lead an investigation, but no charges have yet been brought forward against the president.
“There’s been no collusion. But I think he’s going to be fair,” Trump said of Mueller.

Now here’s what will actually happen next year:
There won’t be a blue wave. In New York magazine’s Daily Intelligencer blog, Ed Kilgore captures the conventional wisdom’s assumption about next year’s midterm elections, saying that even if Roy Moore had somehow eked out a victory in Alabama, “It is impossible to take an honest look at the overall pattern of 2017 contests without hearing the not-so-distant rumbling of a likely 2018 wave for Democrats.”
Forget the Democrats’ blue wave. There are three reasons it won’t happen. First, Democrats will have to defend 25 Senate seats (26 if Minnesota’s Al Franken actually resigns), compared to only eight for the Republicans. Half a dozen of those Democrats are running in states Trump carried handily in 2016.
Second, Doug Jones wins in Alabama only by running against Moore in 2017. Democrats are too obsessed with identity politics to permit another Jones to win their primaries in other states in 2018. There are no more Blue Dogs capable of winning because the Democratic base views “moderation” as selling out to the White Racist Supremacy Hegemony, whatever that is.
Third, Roy Moore, the fatally flawed candidate, lost the Alabama Senate race, not populist conservative views. Democrats just don’t get that. There will be many more Republicans on the Tom Cotton model in coming years. Moore, like 2017’s snow in Houston and Galveston, is a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Middle America prospers big-time in 2018. Now, about the economy, it has been axiomatic among the Washington elites since 1978 — when Congress enacted the Steiger Amendment cutting the capital gains tax and thereby provided a perfect predicate to the Reagan individual tax cuts in 1981 — that “only the rich benefit” from reduced federal levies.
As the Institute for Policy Studies’ Josh Hoxie put it, shortly before the Trump tax reforms were approved by Congress without a single Democratic vote, the measure represents “the biggest wealth grab in modern history.”
Similarly, the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities — the gold standard for conventional liberal Democratic economic analyses — insisted the Trump reform’s corporate tax cuts won’t help individuals “because workers would only receive a quarter or less of the benefits from tax cuts. And among those workers, it’s likely the higher earners that would benefit.”
Wrong. There are two key reasons why middle-class Americans will benefit enormously beginning in 2018.
As the Daily Signal reported in February 2017: “Over the past decade, New York has suffered a net loss of nearly 1.5 million residents and over 650,000 Illinoisans have moved elsewhere. Meanwhile, Texas, a right-to-work state with no income or estate tax, saw its population grow by 1.3 million.”
No blue wave means no Trump impeachment. If, as predicted above, Democrats fail to regain a congressional majority, there obviously won’t be a serious impeachment effort against Trump. Where will that leave Mueller’s Russia collusion investigation? Mueller may be occupied with his own problems come spring 2018.
Horowitz is a straight-arrow, tough-minded investigator, not unlike John Sopko, the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction, who has repeatedly blistered U.S. politicians and military leaders while exposing colossal waste, fraud and corruption. Nobody in either party will be spared when Horowitz releases his report.

Needless to say, Franken, a shrill, name caller who pretends to be a statesman, got caught up in the Harvey Weinstein/Roy Moore whirlwind of sexual harassment allegations. He spent decades as an ersatz comedian groping women in a number of settings because, he thought, he was a funny guy. But by the end of November, after dozens of members of the Hollywood and media establishments got destroyed by allegations of sexual misconduct, Mr. funny-hands Franken was outed as a serial abuser.
At first he insisted that he would never resign because he “apologized” and agreed to cooperate with a Senate Ethics Committee investigation. But it soon seemed as if every second day another woman was coming out to accuse him of sexually harassing them.
Soon, his own Democrat colleagues in the upper chamber began coming out to demand his resignation. By December 6, over 30 Democrat Senators had banded together to demand he quit the Senate. Days later he finally announced he was bowing to the pressure.
But these Senators all had an ulterior motive and his name was Roy Moore.
You’ll also recall that running concurrent with Franken’s headaches was the special election for the Alabama Senate seat that Jeff Sessions abandoned when he became Trump’s (somewhat useless) Attorney General.
The Democrats calculated that Moore would win the election in Alabama — because Alabama is a deep red state — despite that for months Moore had been dogged by allegations that 40 years ago he tried to date women who were minors between the ages of 14 and 19.
(Side note: Moore was not trying to date “children,” either. Don’t fall for that misuse of language. A 14-year-old is legally a minor, NOT a “child,” so Moore was absolutely NOT a “child molester.” Words matter.)
If Moore won these Democrats had already planned a battle to have him expelled from the Senate over the allegations that he is a sex abuser. But they knew that they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if Franken was still sitting right next to them in the Senate. That is why they all banded together to force him to resign. They wanted to use Franken’s resignation as a club to kill Roy Moore’s chances of entering the Senate.
Then, if their Roy Moore gambit was a success, these starry-eyed Democrats dreamed the dreamy dream of using the same tactic to destroy President Donald Trump and either force his resignation, or use it to successfully impeach him.
But, oopsies, Moore lost to Democrat Doug Jones and their whole battle plan went up in smoke.
Now the same Democrats who wanted to force Franken out of the Senate as a cynical poly to kill Roy Moore/Trump are falling all over themselves to say what a ‘mistake” it was to ask the serial woman abuser to quit his seat.
A group of top Democrats have now come out wishing they hadn’t demanded that Franken resign. The list includes Senator Patrick Leahy (D, VT) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D, WV), but Politico says that two other Senate Democrats have privately urged Franken to stay. Manchin was one of the few who shied from calling for Franken’s resignation last week, but the other three had joined the call for the Minnesotan to step down.
As Daily Wire correctly points out, these reversals prove that “there is no moral high ground” with the Democrats. The call for Franken’s resignation was just a scheme to destroy Republicans in the first place, not any real move to pure morality. And now that their battle plan fell apart, they want to retreat from that moral high ground they claimed to have captured.

Nunes’ discovery of evidence that exonerated the Trump administration, while proving that members of the Obama administration may have been involved in criminal behavior meant to sway the 2016 election was the first blow against the Democrat Trump-Russia witch hunt. Nunes’ testimony delivered a crushing blow to the narrative that Trump had colluded with Russia, and it also revealed that Trump might have been right about Trump Tower being wiretapped by the Obama administration.
The Democrats responded to the revelations, not by disputing the facts that Nunes uncovered, but by attacking Nunes himself as a stooge of the Trump administration. It forced Nunes to step down from his position leading the House Intelligence Committee and led to an invasive ethic committee investigation into Nunes’ activities. That investigation is now over and Nunes has been cleared of any possible malfeasance. The inquisition against him found NOTHING, and has proven that the evidence he brought to the table was as rock solid as he always said it was.
Now Nunes is going on the offensive and blasting the intelligence community criminals who have been working against the American people in their attempts to undermine President Trump.
In an interview with Catherine Herridge of Fox News, Nunes excoriated the FBI and the DOJ for abusing their authority and he slammed congressional Democrats for continuing the farce of an “investigation” against Trump, because there was still NO EVIDENCE that Trump colluded with the Russians.
HERRIDGE: After an 8-month review the House ethics panel cleared the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes of revealing classified information while overseeing the Russian investigation.
NUNES: I think it gives people in the United States a scene into how dirty this place can be.
HERRIDGE: Speaking exclusively to FOX News, Nunes said the complaint filed by liberal groups was designed to shut down his investigation that revealed the unmasking, or identification, of Trump campaign associates by President Obama’s appointees in foreign intelligence reports.
HERRIDGE: Was the ethics complaint legitimate?
NUNES: No, I think this was just a clear design by the left working in conjunction with parts of our government to keep information away from me and the House Intelligence Committee.
HERRIDGE: Nunes publicly confirmed for the first time a month-long probe that goes well beyond the Russia case into the surveillance of Americans through the FISA, or the national security courts.
NUNES: I believe we have evidence that there is definitely abuses have occurred.
HERRIDGE: And Nunes pointed to the leaked conversation of the General Mike Flynn with the Russian ambassador and the Congressman said he is unaware of any leak investigation by the FBI or Justice Department.
NUNES: I hate to use the word corrupt, but they’ve become at least so dirty that who is watching the watchmen? Who is investigating these people? There is no one.
Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro is as angry as Nunes about the abuses from the intelligence community and she says that it’s time for Congress to take action against these corrupt government officials.
“There is a cleansing needed in our FBI and Department of Justice,” she said. “It needs to be cleansed of individuals who should not just be fired, but who need to be taken out in cuffs.”
“There were times in our history when corruption was so pervasive that examples had to be made,” Pirro said. “This is one of those times. Handcuffs for Andrew McCabe, deputy director of the FBI. The man at the hub, protecting Hillary and attempting to destroy Trump.”
“I, for one, am tired of investigations [and] politicians posturing — something more has to be done. The stench coming out of the Justice Department and the FBI is like that of a third-world country where money and bullies and clubs decide elections. It all started when cardinal [Jim] Comey destroyed our FBI with political hacks to set events in motion to destroy the republic because they did not like the man we chose to be our president. Well, it is time to take them out in cuffs.“
The stench emanating from our intelligence community is terrible and something must be done to restore the American people’s faith in our justice system. If we can’t trust the leaders of the FBI, the DOJ, the CIA, and other agencies… how are we supposed to have any faith that the government is acting legally and in our best interests (both are important)? We can’t.

“It’s hard to disprove accusations from 40 years ago — that’s why we have statutes of limitations — but, despite that, there are a surprising number of problems with the allegations against Moore,” Coulter — a lawyer and former federal court of appeals judicial clerk — wrote in a piece for Breitbart.
“Contrary to what you have heard one million times a day on TV, there aren’t ‘multiple accusers.’ There are two, and that’s including the one with the fishy yearbook inscription whose stepson says she’s lying,” Coulter highlighted.
As reported by The Western Journal, accuser Beverly Young Nelson’s attorney Gloria Allred has refused to turn over a yearbook she claims was inscribed by Moore in 1977 to a neutral party in order for the handwriting and the date of the ink to be analyzed. The yearbook was presented as proof by Allred at a news conference that Moore and Young knew each other.
Regarding Moore’s other accuser, Leigh Corfman (featured in the Nov. 9 Washington Post story alleging Moore sexually touched her in 1979 when she was 14), Coulter contended her account has problems too.
“The main accuser has gotten a lot of her facts wrong, such as where she was living at the time (she moved to another town 10 days after meeting Moore); the corner where she allegedly met Moore for their liaisons (she named a corner more than a mile away from her house, across a busy intersection); and when she began to get into trouble with boys and alcohol (it was before meeting Moore, not after),” Coulter wrote.
Further, “There’s a lot of room between HE’S A CHILD MOLESTER and THE WOMEN ARE LIARS,” she added.
“They could be misremembering. They could be confusing Moore with someone else. They could be suggestible. They could be delusional. They could have repeated the story to themselves so many times that they believe it,” Coulter said.
As for the other “accusers” who claimed they dated Moore when they were between 16 and 19 and Moore was in his early 30s, Coulter pointed out that comedian Jerry Seinfeld dated 17-year-old Shoshanna Lonstein in the 1990s, when he was 39. Therefore, Moore was closer in age than Seinfeld to those he allegedly dated.
Coulter circled back to one of her main concerns with the allegations.
“It was 40 years ago!” she wrote. “But it’s just weeks before the election and that’s the media’s favorite time to produce wild accusations against Republicans.”
The conservative commentator recounted other late-in-the race grenades lobbed against Republican candidates in the past, including an indictment of former Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger four days before the 1992 presidential election by independent counsel Lawrence Walsh, which seemed to implicate George H.W. Bush in a lie regarding the 1987 Iran-Contra Scandal.
In 2004, CBS’s Dan Rather employed documents easily discovered to be forged to report George W. Bush had shirked his National Guard service during the Vietnam War.
Coulter also contrasted the reporting Moore is receiving for alleged sexual contact in the 1970s versus that given to former Democrat Rep. Gerry Studds, who admitted to having homosexual relations with a 17-year-old congressional page in the 1980s. Studds defended his actions, saying it was a “consensual relationship with a young adult,” according to The Associated Press.
“Washington Post columnist Colman McCarthy denounced the ‘witch hunt’ against Studds, saying his critics wanted ‘to torch the congressman for his private life,’” Coulter wrote.
The House censured him, but he was not removed from office, and successfully ran for re-election six more times.
Studds was lionized when he died in 2006 by The Washington Post (“Gay Pioneer“), The New York Times (“First Openly Gay Congressman“), NPR (“Congressional Pioneer“) among other mainstream media outlets.
Coulter, who endorsed Rep. Mo Brooks over Moore in the Alabama Republican primary this summer, concluded her piece by writing, “The media say that Republicans support Moore just because they want another GOP vote in the Senate. I support Moore just because I hate the media.”
As reported by The Western Journal, Brooks, who announced last week he had already voted for Moore by absentee ballot, offered a similar rebuttal to the allegations against Moore as Coulter.
“What you have is the mainstream left-wing socialist Democrat news media trying to distort the evidence to cause people to reach the conclusion that Roy Moore engaged in unlawful conduct with a minor and my analysis of the evidence is that is not the case,” Brooks said last week on “The Dale Jackson Show,” a program on Alabama radio station WVNN-AF.
“Most importantly, the media likes to say ‘well, there are nine complainers.’ Seven of them aren’t complainers. In fact, I would be calling seven of those ladies as witnesses on behalf of Roy Moore on the issue of whether he is engaged in any kind of unlawful conduct,” the former prosecutor added.
Brooks continued, “There are only two that have asserted that Roy Moore engaged in unlawful conduct. One of those is clearly a liar because that one forged the ‘love, Roy Moore’ part of a yearbook in order to try to for whatever reason get at Roy Moore and win this seat for the Democrats and there’s a lot more to it as to why I believe that the evidence is almost incontrovertible about whether the yearbook was forged.”
The congressman went on to note that just left one accuser. “Well, that one witness’ testimony is in direct and stark contrast with that of the other seven ladies, who said that he acted like an officer and a gentleman.”
