Anti-Trump ‘Resistance’ Groups Spreading North Korean Propaganda

Two of the nation’s most active anti-Trump “resistance” organizations are taking decidedly pro-North Korea stances in the United States’ developing nuclear standoff with the communist country, whose leader, Kim Jong Un, has repeatedly threatened to launch a nuclear strike against America.

One group is Refuse Fascism, a well-funded “resistance” group created for the express purpose of opposing President Trump’s administration. Internal presentations from a Refuse Fascism conference last month said the group intends to make America’s leaders lose “international legitimacy” as a way of ultimately bringing down the Trump presidency, as TheDC first reported.

The other group is Workers World Party, a Marxist organization that has played a leading role in anti-Trump demonstrations across the country.

Both groups have consistently echoed North Korean talking points that demonize America while excusing Un’s genocidal regime, and both groups have instructed their followers to distrust American media reporting that reflects negatively on North Korean leaders’ oppression of their own people.

After the United Nations’ Security Council unanimously voted on August 5 to impose further sanctions on North Korea, both Refuse Fascism and Workers World defended the North Korean regime as the victim of international imperialists.

Workers World’s magazine published an editorial titled “Korea won’t be intimidated.” The editorial claimed America — and not the North Korean regime — is the country standing in the way of peace. The last nine paragraphs of the editorial were direct quotes from North Korea’s government.

Five days later, the magazine published another editorial titled “Self-defense and the DPRK” that portrayed the U.S. as the “oppressor” of North Korea.

Three days after the UN voted on the new sanctions, Refuse Fascism — whose financial backers include left-wing financier George Soros — published an outraged statement that framed the U.S.-North Koreas standoff as “the largest military power in the world bullying a small, isolated country and terrorizing the people of that entire region.”

In July, Refuse Fascism issued a statement accusing the U.S. of using a “playbook of demonization” against Kim Jong Un. The statement urged Americans to put aside their country’s and “act in the interests of humanity instead.”

“Stop thinking like an American,” the statement said. “Start thinking about humanity.”

Both Refuse Fascism and Workers World have railed against the media’s coverage of North Korea. Refuse Fascism’s statement last month urged against believing American media’s “lies and distortion” that portray North Korea — one of the worst human rights’ oppressors in the world — in a negative light.

“No, we should not be comfortable with the disgusting media frenzy, full of lies and distortion, that marches us toward not just another invasion of a small country but a nuclear attack that can wipe out millions of people in one day and threaten the future of life on earth,” the statement declared.

Workers World has similarly criticized “the entire web of the capitalist-owned press and electronic media that marches in lockstep, assuming that everyone will automatically believe their endless hostility against the DPRK.” Last month the group criticized America’s “corporate media” as untrustworthy.

Both Workers’ World Party and Refuse Fascism have been on the front lines of the anti-Trump “resistance.” Both groups were among the organizers of counter-protests on inauguration weekend, where far-left actors staged riots and attacked innocent bystanders.

Refuse Fascism has consistently organized mass demonstrations, in Berkeley and elsewhere, that have turned into riots. The group is backed by a progressive charity that is in turn funded by George Soros, a major labor union and several large companies, as TheDC’s Chuck Ross first reported. The group lists Ivy League professor and DNC platform member Cornel West as one of the group’s “initiators.”

For months, Refuse Fascism has been planning massive, nationwide demonstrations for November 4. According to the group’s statements, the protests are part of their long-term strategy of creating a “political crisis” resulting in both Trump and Pence being forced from their elected offices.

Three weeks ago, the group held planning conferences for the mass demonstrations. Presentations from the conference reveal the group wants to disrupt the “ability to govern” of America’s leaders and make them “lose respect and legitimacy in the eyes of people here and internationally.” Costing America’s leaders “international legitimacy” is key because it “is a very critical calculation for the rulers of this country.” (RELATED: Activists Plan To Make America’s Leaders Lose ‘International Legitimacy’)

Workers World Party was one of several far-left “anti-fascist groups present at the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville last month, where James Fields, a 20-year-old white nationalist, drove through a crowd of counter-protesters, killing one person and injuring dozens of others. The group’s activists led the toppling of Confederate monuments following the violence in Charlottesville.

Workers’ World’s stated goals including igniting an international socialist revolution and “the shutdown of the Pentagon and the use of the war budget” — that is, the funding for the Department of Defense — “to improve the lives of the working class and especially the oppressed peoples.”

After Closer Look at NK Missile Path, Experts Discover Chilling Target Practice

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/closer-nk-missile-path/

Despite several stern warnings from the United States, North Korea’s rogue regime fired a nuclear-capable ballistic missile on Aug. 29 over Japan’s Hokkaido province. Experts who analyzed the flight path, distance traveled, and type of missile tested determined North Korea could launch a missile capable of reaching the U.S. territory of Guam. And this wasn’t just a missile test — it was target practice.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the North Korean government admitted as much.

“The current ballistic rocket launching drill like a real war is the first step of the military operation of the KPA [Korean People’s Army] in the Pacific and a meaningful prelude to containing Guam,” the state-run news agency KCNA announced, according to the U.K. Express.

The missile launch flew over Japan and traveled nearly 1,700 miles before crashing into the sea, raising questions about what President Donald Trump will be forced to do next.

Advertisement – story continues below

As the U.S. monitors the situation, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe condemned the launch.

“We will do our utmost to protect people’s lives,” Abe said. “This reckless act of launching a missile that flies over our country is an unprecedented, serious and important threat.”

U.S. officials believe North Korea likely possess an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching U.S. cities and territories, and could soon be able to launch a nuclear-armed intercontinental ballistic missile.

Trump issued several stern promises to rain down fire and fury on North Korea should they launch an attack on the U.S. or any of its allies. Trump also warned the Hermit Kingdom’s dictator that if he “does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody has seen before — what will happen in North Korea.”

The U.S. carried out a successful ballistic missile defense test Wednesday, making it the second consecutive test in which the Aegis system intercepted a mid-range ballistic missile in the last two months.

The U.S. State Department instituted a ban on U.S. citizens traveling to North Korea, United Nations sanctions have been levied against the rogue regime, and a U.S. missile defense system successfully intercepted a missile during a test, which indicates our military has a high probability of intercepting a missile in the air prior to it hitting any target in the U.S.

Nevertheless, if things continue to progress, it may only be a matter of time before the crazy dictator possesses the ability to fire nuclear weapons toward U.S. territory. We finally have a strong president in office who is unafraid to use the greatest military in the world, which hopefully convinces North Korea to back down.

Trump’s border wall moves forward with prototypes

Reported

The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday the winners of a contest to build prototypes for sections of President Trump’s proposed border wall. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Deputy Commissioner Ronald D. Vitiello said four companies were chosen to build the prototypes, which are planned to be built in the San Diego area.

Vitiello said the prototypes are a “significant milestone” in Trump’s plan to build a wall on the border with Mexico. The prototypes will be built out of concrete, 18 to 30 feet high and 30 feet long. Vitiello said they would each cost between “just under $400,000 and just under $500,000.” He added that four additional prototypes made of “alternative materials” will be announced next week.

The companies selected for prototype construction were Caddell Construction Co. of Montgomery, Ala., Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. of Tempe, Ariz., Texas Sterling Construction Co. of Houston, Texas, and W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Company of Philadelphia, Mo. An unnamed contractor filed a bid protest, which could detain construction of the prototypes.

According to Vitiello, the concrete portions of the wall will be built 150 feet away from the actual border. The space between an initial see-through barrier on the border and the concrete wall, the “enforcement zone,” will provide a “much safer environment than what we may have planned for before,” said Vitiello.

Trump had initially called for a concrete wall spanning the entire border, but later said he’d consider a see-through option after hearing from Border Patrol officials. Vitiello also said the wall would not span the entire border, but would be constructed “where it’s necessary, not along the whole border.”

In July, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that the finished wall could span just 700 to 900 miles.

“It’s a 2,000 mile border, but you don’t need 2,000 miles of wall because you have a lot of natural barriers. You have mountains. You have some rivers that are violent and vicious. You have some areas that are so far away that you don’t really have people crossing. So you don’t need that. But you’ll need anywhere from 700 to 900 miles,” he said.

Vitiello added that prototypes were chosen based on their aesthetics, impenetrability, resistance to tampering, scaling and anti-breach properties .

Depending on the results of prototype testing, the agency could end up using all four concrete and all four alternative materials prototypes in different sections of the wall, or decide to use none.

Trump made construction of a border wall a centerpiece of his campaign, and has threatened to shut down the government unless Congress funds initial construction of the wall in 2018. Democrats successfully blocked wall funding in May’s omnibus spending bill, but $1.6 billion in wall funding was added to homeland security in House appropriations bills that must still clear the Senate.

The prototypes are being built with existing fiscal year 2017 funds, according to Vitiello.

Message From Hurricane Harvey: Americans Helping Each Other

Reported by Joel B. Pollak | 28 Aug 2017

After three days of Hurricane Harvey, the message emerging from Houston and the Texas coast is not one of chaos and destruction, but of collective strength, as Americans help each other survive through the worst of circumstances.

For once, cable news is not dominated by talking heads shouting at each other, but by images of volunteers, black and white, arriving in flat-bottomed boats to rescue neighbors from flooded buildings. Journalists are helping to direct emergency crews to save stranded drivers rather than encouraging enraged mobs to riot against the police.

And President Donald Trump, attacked for weeks for allegedly dividing the nation, is drawing attention to its unity.

At a joint press conference Monday with the president of Finland, President Trump said:

Tragic times such as these bring out the best in America’s character.  Strength, charity and resilience are those characters.  We see neighbor helping neighbor, friend helping friend, and stranger helping stranger.  And you see that all over.  If you watch on television, you just see such incredible work and love, and teamwork.

We are one American family.  We hurt together, we struggle together, and, believe me, we endure together.  We are one family.

Finland’s leader, too, remarked: “It has been touching to watch the TV and see how people help each other. That is what we basically are built of — helping each other.”

Remarkably, President Trump is winning praise for the federal government’s management of the crisis thus far. He is planning to visit the region on Tuesday, avoiding the mistakes made by his two predecessors. George W. Bush infamously flew over the devastation of Hurricane Katrina; Barack Obama, knowing he would never be held to the same standard, golfed on Martha’s Vineyard during massive Louisiana floods until Trump shamed him into visiting.

But the story of Hurricane Harvey is bigger than the president alone. It is also a story about the importance of state and local governments, which were so woefully negligent in Katrina, but which faced Harvey fully prepared. (In the former case, Democrats were in charge; in the latter, many — though not all — of the key officials are Republicans.)

Most of all, the story of Hurricane Harvey is about what Americans can do without government: the neighbors who are giving each other shelter from the storms; the “Cajun Navy” from Louisiana, a volunteer armada of small boats, en route to help with search and rescue efforts; the non-profit organizations organizing grass-roots relief efforts.

All of that is happening, notably, in the South — a region the left had targeted for a miniature Cultural Revolution in recent weeks, as mobs swarmed historic Confederate memorials (or anything old enough to be held in suspicion). The South was deemed by its cultural betters to be just as backward and racist as ever, a living rebuke to the nation.

Instead, the people of Texas are showing the world that beneath the mindless political rhetoric, we remain united and strong.

The political winner thus far is President Trump. The real winner is us, the United States of America.

Trump Gets Key Win From 8th Circuit

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/trump-gets-key-win-from-8th-circuit/

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday that a state has the right to defund Planned Parenthood. The 2-1 ruling specifically provided that while plaintiff Medicaid recipients who brought the suit are entitled to care, they cannot dictate that care includes Planned Parenthood facilities.

“The plaintiffs are asserting a right — the absolute right to a particular provider of their choosing — that (the law) does not grant them,” Judge Steven Colloton wrote in the majority opinion.

Several states, including Arkansas, the defendant in the suit, voted to defund Planned Parenthood after the release of a series of undercover videos that allegedly showed executives from the top abortion provider in the country discussing the sale of aborted babies’ body parts.

In April, Congress voted and President Donald Trump signed into law legislation guaranteeing states the right to defund Planned Parenthood, overriding an Obama administration Department of Health and Human Services regulation that had gone into effect two days before Trump took office. The regulation mandated that “states and localities could not withhold money from a provider for any reason other than an inability to provide family planning services,” The New York Times reported.

In a statement, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson described the 8th Circuit Court’s ruling as “a substantial legal victory for the right of the state to determine whether Medicaid providers are acting in accordance with best practices, and affirms the prerogative of the state to make reasoned judgments on the Medicaid program.”

The 8th Circuit’s jurisdiction includes Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota.

Planned Parenthood noted that it had won federal suits against other states that sought to defund the organization.

“To date, seven other states (Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas) have sought to bar Planned Parenthood from Medicaid, and all have been blocked by federal courts,” Planned Parenthood said in a statement.

Louisiana has asked the 5th Circuit to rehear the case en banc, meaning all of the justices (rather than just three) would preside. The differing rulings between the eighth and other circuit courts make it more likely the Supreme Court will take up the matter.

“This is not over,” said Planned Parenthood Federation of America chief medical officer Raegan McDonald-Mosley. “We will do everything in our power to protect our patients’ access to birth control, cancer screenings and other lifesaving care. Extreme politicians are trying to defund and shut down Planned Parenthood — and this is not what Americans want.”

Jerry Cox, the executive director of the Family Council, an Arkansas-based conservative group, told public radio station KUAR, “The videos aside, the question is should the state of Arkansas do business with an organization that aborts babies, when they don’t need to.”

Alert: Mueller’s Team Falling Apart, Top Investigator Abandons Him

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/alert-muellers-team-falling-apart/

In a startling departure, one of the FBI’s top investigators hired by special counsel Robert Mueller to assist in the investigation into allegations of Russian election interference has left the team.

Aeter Strzok, a bureau veteran who worked on counterintelligence cases, joined Mueller’s team in mid-July. Out of nowhere and without explanation, he was reassigned to the FBI’s human resources division, apparently at his own request, ABC News reported.

Interestingly enough, Strzok was chief of the FBI’s counterespionage section in 2016, where he oversaw the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

Aside from nearly everyone on Mueller’s team having donated to either Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, or the Democratic National Committee, Mueller is apparently chasing Trump (with no evidence) and allowing the Clintons to sidestep provable crimes.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in May 2017 that there was no evidence of collusion between Trump officials and Russia. What can Mueller find that the FBI could not?

Strzok is leaving Mueller’s team one day after the FBI announced it reopening its investigation into last year’s infamous “tarmac meeting” between former President Bill Clinton and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Advertisement – story continues below

Jay Sekulow, Trump’s personal lawyer and president of the American Center for Law and Justice, indicated Wednesday that his legal group received 413 pages of documents from the Department of Justice and FBI surrounding the tarmac meeting between Lynch and Clinton at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport last June.

The emails revealed that the FBI had relevant documents on the matter, even though the bureau originally claimed otherwise. Why didn’t the FBI, headed by Comey at the time, hand over those documents?

There’s tangible evidence to support collusion between Lynch and Clinton, and Comey failing to turn over documents surrounding the meeting raises many questions. These are just some of the reasons why many believe Mueller is leading a witch hunt after Trump.

When will Democrats just admit they lost the election fair and square?

In Their Own Words: The Radical Political Goals Of ‘Anti-Fascists’

In the days since violent clashes at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville culminated in a neo-Nazi sympathizer driving his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, journalists have mainstreamed the self-described “anti-fascists” (or “antifa”) at the rally — largely ignoring their involvement in the escalating political violence in this country.

Many establishment political figures insisted the far-left actors were just like American soldiers on D-Day. But these “anti-fascists’”  own statements show they’re nothing like American soldiers on D-Day.

They aren’t interested in protecting America’s system of government, according to their own statements — they’re interested in destroying it.

From the very start of the Trump administration, far-left actors declared their intention to use massive demonstrations to disrupt the American political process as much as possible.

A common mantra among far-left groups beginning shortly before the inauguration: make America “ungovernable.”

“We need to make this country ungovernable,” declared a female leader for Refuse Fascism shortly after the inauguration. “We need to do what the German people should have done when Hitler was elected.”

Refuse Fascism was a driving force behind the violent, politically motivated riots in Berkeley. Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos — who at the time was an editor at pro-Trump website Breitbart — was scheduled to speak at the University of California’s Berkeley campus. He was forced to cancel the speech after mobs of protesters started fires, assaulted bystanders and pepper sprayed suspected Trump supporters as part of an organized effort to shut down the speech(RELATED: Ivy League Professor And DNC Platform Member Tied To Berkeley Rioters)

Refuse Fascism was among the left-wing groups advertising the Charlottesville rally and urged confrontation with the white nationalists: “Drive them OUT of Charlottesville and out of power!” Refuse Fascism was far from the only left-wing fringe group at Charlottesville.

One anarchist group that was at Charlottesville, CrimethInc, holds that anarchism is necessary to destroy white supremacy, which the group says cannot be fully extinguished in a democracy.

“Anarchism is one of the most thoroughgoing forms of opposition to fascism, in that it entails opposition to hierarchy itself. Virtually every framework that countenances hierarchy, be it democracy or ‘national liberation,’ enables old power imbalances like white supremacy and patriarchy to remain in place, hidden within the legitimacy of the prevailing structures,” the group explains.

They similarly want to destroy law enforcement and capitalists.

“We must identify the forces underlying their laws and their order—white supremacy, patriarchy, policing, capitalism, and the state. We have to work together to keep ourselves safe and reimagine the world without them,” the group states in an article, which was reposted on popular antifa website It’s Going Down.

Another far-left group at Charlottesville last weekend: the Workers World Party, a group of Marxist-Leninist revolutionaries who have declared their support for Kim Jong Un’s murderous dictatorship in North Korea. Workers World’s publication has consistently published propaganda-like screeds supporting Venezuela’s murderous regime.

The communist group “sent many of its members to Charlottesville, Va., to beat back the Nazis and Klan who marched there,” according to a post recapping the group’s participation in the weekend’s violence.

The Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed Workers World’s presence at the Charlottesville rally.

The group took credit for organizing the vandals who toppled a city-owned Confederate statue in Durham, North Carolina this week.

Workers’ World’s stated goals are classic Marxism, including igniting an international socialist revolution and “the shutdown of the Pentagon and the use of the war budget” — that is, the funding for the Department of Defense — “to improve the lives of the working class and especially the oppressed peoples.”

While Workers World is currently fighting (literally) with white nationalists, the group is opposed to all in the “ruling establishment” who the group explains hide “behind a veil of ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights.’”

“Those in the ruling establishment who see their reputation in tatters are appalled by what happened [at Charlottesville], but not for the right reasons,” read a Workers World post after Charlottesville. “They want to continue to exploit and dominate most of the world, but behind a veil of ‘democracy’ and ‘human rights.’ The people are showing by their actions that only by taking the fight for justice into their own hands, with no confidence in the organs of state power, can they make progress.”

The post concluded: “Long live the independent struggle of this new progressive movement against the fascists, the cops and the capitalist establishment!”

Falwell Praises Trump For ‘Bold Truthful’ Words On Charlottesville

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/falwell-praises-trump-bold-truthful-words-charlottesville/

President Donald Trump received a ringing endorsement Wednesday from one evangelical supporter who is not turning his back on the president.

“Finally a leader in WH. Jobs returning, N Korea backing down, bold truthful stmt about #charlottesville tragedy. So proud of @realdonaldtrump,” Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. tweeted.

On Tuesday, Trump said both sides in the Charlottesville violence were to blame for letting unrest get out of hand. Falwell is not the only major evangelical figure to support Trump.

On Sunday, when many voices were condemning Trump for blaming both sides in his response to Saturday’s violence in Charlottesville, Rev. Franklin Graham stood by him.

“Shame on the politicians who are trying to push blame on President Trump for what happened in #Charlottesville, VA. That’s absurd,” Graham wrote on his Facebook page.

“What about the politicians such as the city council who voted to remove a memorial that had been in place since 1924, regardless of the possible repercussions? How about the city politicians who issued the permit for the lawful demonstration to defend the statue? And why didn’t the mayor or the governor see that a powder keg was about to explode and stop it before it got started? Instead they want to blame President Donald J. Trump for everything,” he wrote.

Graham said that the division taking place furthers the ends of Satan.

“Really, this boils down to evil in people’s hearts. Satan is behind it all. He wants division, he wants unrest, he wants violence and hatred. He’s the enemy of peace and unity. I denounce bigotry and racism of every form, be it black, white or any other. My prayer is that our nation will come together. We are stronger together, and our answers lie in turning to God,” he wrote.

Some clergy backed Trump’s comments Monday condemning neo-Nazis.

“I condemn the forces of white nationalism, white supremacy and anti-Semitism that divide our country today, and I also condemn those who seek to politicize it all for their political gain,” said minister Samuel Rodriguez, who took part in Trump’s inauguration.

“Unless, we bridge this senseless and partisan divide there will be more horrors to come. It’s on each of us to be a part of solution and it begins with turning our political swords into plowshares. We must begin to work together to heal our nation,” he said.

China Announces It Will Implement Tough Sanctions Against North Korea

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/china-announces-will-implement-tough-sanctions-north-korea/

For the second time in recent days, China took a major step to put pressure on North Korea to resolve its standoff with the United States over North Korea’s missile development efforts. The Chinese government announced Monday it will implement the sanctions that were imposed against North Korea by the United Nations on Aug. 5.

The Security Council sanctions block nations from accepting North Korea’s primary exports, including coal, iron, iron ore, lead and seafood. The sanctions also target other revenue streams, such as banks and joint ventures with foreign companies. The sanctions could cost North Korea a third of its $3 billion annual export revenue.

Although China did not block the sanctions at the U.N., it was unclear until the announcement whether China, which is North Korea’s largest trading partner, would implement them. China also faces possible action from President Donald Trump, who has said he may order an investigation into allegations of unfair Chinese trade practices.

“It is obviously improper to use one thing as a tool to imposing pressure on another thing,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said Monday. “There will be no winner from a trade war, it will be lose-lose.”

China’s action to implement the sanctions came days after a state-run newspaper said that if North Korea attacks the United States, it will fight any war that results on its own.

“China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral,” the Global Times editorial said.

Throughout the escalation of tensions between the United States and North Korea, China has called for restraint.

“The current situation on the Korean Peninsula is complicated and sensitive,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said in a statement Friday.

“China hopes that all relevant parties will be cautious in their words and actions, and do things that help to alleviate tensions and enhance mutual trust, rather than walk on the old pathway of taking turns in shows of strength, and upgrading the tensions,” he said.

Writing in The Washington Post, David Von Drehle said China needs to emerge from the North Korean-American showdown with a win.

” … the audience of greatest concern to China — namely, the other leading countries in the region, including Japan, India, Australia, South Korea, the Philippines and Vietnam — faces the urgent question of whether they can trust a rising China to share in safeguarding their sphere. If the problem of Kim isn’t defused, those nations are sure to seek even deeper alliances with the United States while building their own military capacity. China’s regional influence will shrink rather than grow,” he wrote.

Susan Rice Drops NK Bombshell… This Is What Obama Planned

If you want to know how the world has managed to become so royally screwed-up that North Korea now possesses the capability to fire a miniaturized nuclear warhead at us, you need to look to the past — namely, to the Obama administration.

Take former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, for instance, who penned a column for The New York Times Thursday begging President Donald Trump to stop standing up to North Korea.

“History shows that we can, if we must, tolerate nuclear weapons in North Korea — the same way we tolerated the far greater threat of thousands of Soviet nuclear weapons during the Cold War,” she wrote. “It will require being pragmatic.”

What she conveniently neglected to mention is that her definition of pragmatism is in fact the same sort of Chamberlain-esque appeasement that allowed Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler to gain an upper hand prior to the start of World War II. In fact, her whole career has been a testament to this sort of appeasement, as noted by Joel Pollak of Breitbart.

“In her long and disastrous career, Rice has advocated inaction when intervention would have saved lives,” he explained in a column published after the former adviser’s column hit the Web. “During the Rwandan genocide, she counseled President Bill Clinton to avoid using that term, and helped stop the U.S. from responding.”

“In Benghazi, the Obama administration failed to make any effort to save U.S. diplomats and security personnel — and then Rice lied shamelessly to the American people, blaming a YouTube video for the attack.”

Likewise, the policy of “Strategic Patience concocted by her and former President Barack Obama to curb the rogue regime’s nuclear ambitions has failed — and will continue failing, according to retired special agent and former U.S. Navy Capt. John M. DeMaggio.

“North Korea has seen many international diplomatic threats and actions come to nothing,” he explained in a recent column for The Hill. “They will in all likelihood ignore future actions, fully expecting the international coalition to follow historical precedent and crumble.”

Trump and his staff recognize that we need a new strategy, but clearly, Rice would prefer that we remain bound to the path set forth by her former boss, Obama, i.e., the same path that led North Korea into gaining this technology in the first place.

I guess it’s true that some people never learn.

Trump Administration Rewards Miami For Reversing Its Sanctuary Policies

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/trump-administration-rewards-miami-reversing-sanctuary-policies/

Advertisement – story continues below

Miami-Dade County was told Friday by the Department of Justice that it will no longer be treated as a so-called sanctuary city after the county changed its policies in February surrounding detaining jailed inmates sought by federal authorities for deportation.

Miami Mayor Carlos Gimenez was notified by Alan Hanson, an acting assistant attorney general, that the DOJ found “no evidence that Miami Dade County is currently out of compliance,” clearing the way for the county to receive $481,347 in federal law enforcement funding in form of a Byrne JAG grant.

Miami was first classified as a sanctuary city by the Obama administration for its 2013 policy that authorized the county to begin denying “detainer” requests from Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The policy provided that the county would only hold inmates sought for deportation if they faced severe charges and if the federal government would reimburse the county for extra detention time.

But shortly after President Donald Trump was inaugurated in January, Gimenez dropped the policy, ordering county jails to comply with ICE detentions requests.

The Miami-Dade Commission voted 9-3 in February in support of the mayor’s policy to honor ICE detention requests.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced in July that the DOJ would impose new conditions on Byrne JAG grants, a leading source of federal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions.

“From now on, the Department will only provide Byrne JAG grants to cities and states that comply with federal law, allow federal immigration access to detention facilities, and provide 48 hours notice before they release an illegal alien wanted by federal authorities,” Sessions said in a statement announcing the new restrictions.

Miami-Dade’s decision to change its sanctuary status worked. The county received assurances from the DOJ Friday that it was in compliance and would receive a Byrne JAG Grant valued at $481,347, which will go towards enhancing the Miami Dade Police Department’s “intelligence gathering and police operations with investments in technology and specialized equipment,” according to Gimenez.

“This is good news,” said Gimenez’s communications director, Michael Hernández.

Hernández said the county is now requesting that the Trump administration remove Miami-Dade from the Obama administration’s original list of sanctuary cities.

“We’d like to have formal notification that we are no longer a sanctuary community,” Hernández said. “That request is being made.”

Miami-Dade is the only large jurisdiction in the country known to have complied with Trump’s request to crack down on its sanctuary city policy. Other sanctuary cities, such as Chicago, are calling foul at the Trump administration’s new restrictions surrounding Byrne JAG grants. Chicago was expected to receive $3.2 million in federal grants this year to purchase law enforcement equipment. But instead of complying, Chicago opted on Monday to file a lawsuit against the Trump administration to prevent it from enforcing the new policies.

“We are bringing this legal challenge because the rhetoric, the threats from this administration embodied in these new conditions imposed on unrelated public safety grants funds are breeding a culture and climate of fear,” said the senior legal adviser for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said Sunday it was “tragic” that Emanuel was more concerned about protecting illegal immigrants than he was by the high murder rate on the streets of Chicago.

“It’s especially tragic that the mayor is less concerned with that staggering figure than he is spending time and taxpayer money protecting criminal aliens and putting Chicago’s law enforcement at greater risk,” Flores said in a statement.

Chicago is the first city to challenge the Trump administration over its new restrictions surrounding Byrne JAG grants.

West Virginia’s Democratic governor will flip to Republican Party

Reported

West Virginia’s Democratic governor will flip to Republican Party

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice, a Democrat, will announce he is flipping to the GOP at a rally with President Trump on Thursday.

A senior Republican operative confirmed Justice’s plans to switch parties to The Hill.
Justice, a coal magnate and the wealthiest man in West Virginia, first won office last year. Before announcing his candidacy, he was wooed by both Democrats and Republicans. Ultimately, he opted to run as a Democrat.
Justice’s party switch is a slap in the face to the Democratic Governors Association, which spent more than $1 million to try to get Justice elected in 2016. The Republican Governors Association spent $3.7 million backing his GOP rival.

Trump took 68 percent of the vote in West Virginia in 2016, beating Hillary  by 41 points. Justice, who faced the Republican state Senate president in November, won office with 49 percent of the vote.

Justice, the only billionaire in West Virginia, is the chief executive officer of dozens of companies, many in the coal industry. He also owns the Greenbrier, a luxury resort in the Allegheny Mountains that once served as a bunker meant to help the U.S. government survive a nuclear attack.

The New York Times first reported Justice’s decision to flip parties.
Trump seemed to tease the announcement earlier Thursday during an event spotlighting telehealth efforts by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“We’re going to have a very big announcement, which will be very exciting I think for the media and everyone else,” Trump said. “I believe I’ll be making it in West Virginia, so that will be very exciting.”

Trump will fly to Huntington, W.Va., late Thursday for a rally at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena. It is his second visit to West Virginia in a little more than a week, following a speech to a Boy Scouts Jamboree.

That event took place at the James C. Justice National Scout Camp, a facility named for the governor.

Trump Team Attends Weekly White House Bible Study

Reported

Several members of President Donald Trump’s cabinet, as well as Vice President Mike Pence are meeting together for a weekly Bible study at the White House. CBN News reported that Trump’s cabinet has been called “the most evangelical” in the history of the country.

Regular attendees to the study include Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agricultural Secretary Sonny Perdue, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

Pence — who described himself at the 2016 Republican National Convention as “a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican, in that order” — attends the study as often as his busy travel schedule permits.

The study is led by former NBA player Ralph Drollinger, who played for the UCLA Bruins under legendary coach John Wooden and became the first player in NCAA history to make it to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament four times. The Bruins won the national championship in two of those years.

Wooden was also an evangelical Christian, who sought to coach his team integrating Christian principles.

After his retirement from the NBA, Drollinger founded Capitol Ministries, which has launched Bible studies in 40 state capitols, as well as several foreign nations. Its mission is to evangelize and disciple public servants. The organization also leads weekly studies at the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

Drollinger told CBN News that about a dozen members attend his weekly White House study.

“These are godly individuals that God has risen to a position of prominence in our culture,” he said. “It’s the best Bible study that I’ve ever taught in my life. They are so teachable; they’re so noble; they’re so learned.”

Drollinger said he believes the regular study is the first formal one in the White House in at least 100 years.

The Christian leader spoke highly of Pence, likening him to key Biblical leaders whom God raised up to the second-highest spot in government, including Joseph, Daniel and Mordecai.

“And I praise God for Mike Pence, who I think with Donald Trump chose great people to lead our nation,” Drollinger said.

Trump is invited to the study, and receives notes following each week’s meeting.

As reported by Western Journalism, Trump’s top spiritual adviser, Pastor Paula White, said that the president has “heart for God, a hunger for God.”

She added that Trump “has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We’ve had in-depth conversations about God.”

A reverence for God and the Bible in Washington has strong precedent. The largest Protestant church congregation in the country used to meet at the U.S. Capitol in the 1800s. At its height, over 2,000 attended weekly, including members of Congress and the executive branch.

Thomas Jefferson was a regular attendee, both as vice president and president.

Trump: No More ‘Bailouts’ for Insurers, Lawmakers Over ‘Imploding’ Obamacare

Reported By Wanda Carruthers   |   Saturday, 29 Jul 2017 02:15 PM

Image: Trump: No More 'Bailouts' for Insurers, Lawmakers Over 'Imploding' Obamacare

President Donald Trump on Saturday warned Republicans that if they did not pass healthcare reform soon, he could end the employer contribution for their healthcare coverage.

He went further to suggest the end result would be an end to insurance bailouts as well as “bailouts for Congress” come election day.

“After seven years of ‘talking’ Repeal & Replace, the people of our great country are still being forced to live with imploding ObamaCare!” Trump tweeted. “If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!”

The latest attempt by senators collapsed when they failed to reach a threshold to pass a “skinny” repeal bill early Friday morning that would have ended the individual mandate requiring Americans to purchase insurance or pay a fine. It would also have suspended through 2026 the requirement that businesses provide insurance for their workers.

Earlier in the week another bill met with defeat in the Senate that would have repealed the healthcare law.

Republican lawmakers have been conflicted over how exactly to change the nation’s healthcare system after many of them were elected to office on the platform of repealing and replacing Obamacare. Democratic lawmakers have been steadfast in opposition to changing any of the legislation enacted under former President Barack Obama.

Regardless of the stance of congressional lawmakers, the healthcare law has frayed edges as some Americans are forced to pay exorbitant rates in order to have health insurance, while the burden of funding has not diminished to subsidize those who qualify. Some are left without a choice or only one choice at all and CNBC predicts health insurers will likely pull out completely from 49 counties in the nation in 2018.

The New York Times on Saturday explained the effect the president is already exerting on Obamacare, and maintained his primary options for impacting the healthcare system fell into three main arenas. While opponents could cheer the fact that Trump is making cracks to break the healthcare law apart, supporters decry any chinks into the Obamacare armor.

Trump is undermining Obamacare with weakened enforcement of the individual mandate, the Times argued, saying, “the Internal Revenue Service has said it will continue accepting tax returns that do not say whether a filer has been uninsured.”

This could pave the way for more exceptions by the White House in the future, as well as signaling “publicly that it does not care about the mandate, which may cause people to be less likely to sign up, even if they later get hit with a tax penalty.”

A second effect the Trump administration could have would be to impose work requirement for Medicaid recipients. While the president cannot prevent states from expanding Medicaid, the article explained he could “allow states that apply to impose work requirements or charge premiums for more Medicaid beneficiaries, through a process that lets the government waive the normal Medicaid rules.”

To do so could cause many poor Americans to not have access to the system due to its cost. GOP lawmakers have worked to rein in federal spending on Medicaid expansion — attempts which may have caused many states to end it entirely.

The Trump administration has backed off outreach promoting Obamacare unlike Obama’s White House. Without promotion, citizens may not be aware of healthcare coverage options, The Times maintained.

Once Trump was inaugurated, the White House within days pulled ads and outreach that encouraged people’s participation. If the result has been lower numbers signing up for Obamacare, prices for insurance will like rise.

Trump met the latest GOP failure to pass a bill aimed at solving the growing issues and burdens of paying for Obamacare by chiding lawmakers, saying on Friday he would “let Obamacare implode because of their failure to find a solution to the issue that has garnered passion by those who want government to control the healthcare system and those who want to abolish government health insurance control.

Media Asks 6 Soldiers About Trump Trans Ban, Get 5 Answers They Hate

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/6-soldiers-trump-trans-ban-answers/

Much to the consternation of LGBT advocates and the liberal media, President Donald Trump did away with a rather progressive rule regarding transgenderism imposed on the military by former President Barack Obama, and Trump did it, of course, via Twitter. In the Twitter post, Trump announced that, henceforth, transgender individuals would no longer be permitted to serve in the U.S. military “in any capacity,” which of course sparked massive outrage among his ideological opponents.

But the Independent Journal Review figured that, since this ban on transgender people in the military will pretty much only affect the military, maybe we should see what actual members of the military think about it instead of asking political advocates and talking heads in the liberal media. It was an eye-opening move.

“Only two things matter: Survivability and lethality,” stated Army Sgt. Darian Browning, who served in the 82nd Airborne. “Anything other than that is a distraction. We have budget problems, also, already.

“The stated purpose of the Army is to ‘fight and win the Nation’s land wars,’” added Browning. “Any decisions or budget fixes should be centered around that and that alone.”

“The military is a machine that doesn’t breakdown for politics,” said Marine Sgt. Sean Conner, Iraq veteran and MARSOC Raider. “I can assure you that the reasoning for this decision is for the benefit of the whole system.”

“Considering less than 1 percent identify as transgender in the military, it would be a major burden, and the cost benefit analysis would be in the favor of not allowing this policy to go through,” Conner continued. “The amount of change, cost and redirection would not outweigh the very small pros, if any.”

“The military had it right before with Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, or else things get complicated real quick,” he added. “The rules were there before Trump came around and for good reason. I empathize if they want to serve, but just do it without having to announce your sexual orientation — it’s pretty simple.”

Connor also noted that service members undergoing hormone therapy or sex-change operations are not permitted to work full duty or be deployed, sometimes up to two years, essentially rendering them a waste of time, training, resources and taxpayer money.

Marine Staff Sgt. Josh Ghering, a veteran of both Afghanistan and Iraq and a former drill instructor, seemed to agree with that last bit pointed out by Conner about transitioning troops being removed from the routine all others must endure.

“We need to be focused on how to improve our warfighting ability, period,” he said.

“If transgendered individuals are being taken out for these procedures and treatments, they are not being trained properly,” he continued. “Before we go to war, we train for over a year on ranges and with regimen after regimen. So then we take these individuals out of training to get their surgery. But what good are they if we are over in a war zone and they aren’t able to contribute to the fight because they’re going through therapy or recovering from said surgery?”

He added that “the military is not a social experiment. Its objective is to fight wars. That’s where its sole focus should be.”

“I believe that the infantry and combat arms should stay male. (male: being born with male genitalia),” stated wounded Iraq veteran and Army Sgt. Jay Strobino. “In the military, your roles, positions and tasks are very clear and outlined. And I have nothing against transgendered people or homosexuals, but it’ll start confusing those roles.”

“It’s not the ability so much of the individual, because yes there are plenty of females that can out lift me, out run me and so on,” explained Strobino. “But it’s a lower average as a whole, just due to body limitations. And you can’t have two sets of standards for the same group. It just won’t work.”

Strobino asserted that lowering standards to accommodate those with lesser abilities would be worse than having two sets of standards.

“If you’re under the standard then you either train and improve, or you’re not in combat arms,” he said. “There’s no middle ground.”

However, while most of those questioned by the Independent Journal Review supported the policy change in principle, there was at least one who disagreed with it and another who generally supported the idea, but questioned the manner in which it was rolled out.

“I don’t like that he just ran with it. He should have had a policy ready to go and Mattis should have rolled it out,” stated Army sniper Gregory Diacogiannis, an Iraq War veteran.

“The military is here to destroy the enemy. It’s not a social experiment. We shouldn’t be using the military as a petri dish to push progressive ideas,” he continued. “They are a killing machine. People are denied service for all kinds of reasons. Why should we treat people with gender dysphoria differently?”

Diacogiannis maintained that such individuals are in need of help and the military is not the place for them to receive such help, nor would it help the military, and noted that treating people differently or having differing sets of standards would be detrimental to overall morale.

“You will ‘other’ them because they will become a protected class. In combat everyone is equal, it doesn’t matter if you are black, white, gay, straight, man, or woman,” he explained. “But if you let other people live by a different standard you crush morale. Also, we are talking about 0.1 percent of the population not being able to serve.”

Finally, the lone voice of disagreement found by IJR was Afghanistan veteran and Army Ranger Zac Oja, who stated, “I’m curious to see how this will be implemented. Will the openly transgendered individuals currently serving be forced out of the military? Will they be forced to ‘identify’ with what their birth certificate says for gender?

“This, in my opinion, is going to do nothing markedly positive but will open the flood gate to the left for open dissent against this new policy,” he added.

Oja suggested that more time should have been given for further study of the costs/benefits of transgender service members openly serving in the military, in order to gain a better overall understanding of the matter.

“I will say that I have heard nothing but good things from dear friends that have served with openly transgender soldiers,” added Oja.

The media most likely want nothing more than a division’s worth of soldiers vehemently castigating the president and calling this latest policy shift nothing short of horrible, but that is not what they are going to find, at least not with this batch of troops.

To be sure, there will be a handful like Oja who may disagree with the premise, or others, like Diacogiannis who disliked the manner in which it was introduced, but by and large, most members of the military are sure to be at least quietly supportive of the change. They know that the military is not the realm for progressive social engineering and tinkering, but instead is supposed to be a finely tuned killing machine that wastes no time or energy on anything else.

Martin Luther King’s Niece Praises Trump For Supporting ‘Everybody’s Civil Rights’

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece praised President Donald Trump Sunday for supporting the civil rights of all people, including the unborn.

“First, I’d like to say that the president, of course, is leading the charge for civil rights today for the little unborn persons in the womb who have a right to live,” Dr. Alveda King said on Fox & Friends.

“I’m director of Civil Rights for the Unborn, and I say that everybody’s civil rights count from the womb to the tomb: the young, the old, the sick, the elderly, the babies in the womb, and everything,” she said.

During the interview, King was asked about comments from Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., who called Trump “uncaring” about civil rights.

She responded that she holds Lewis, a veteran of civil rights marches, in “great esteem” but suggested she differed with him on Trump.

“He’s one of the greatest defenders of non-violent conflict resolution, extending that olive branch,” King said of Lewis. “So everybody in America needs to do some homework and stop playing the race card.”

She said Trump “is certainly fighting for civil rights today and he has surrounded himself with African-American leaders and everyone that is supporting.”

King said that she did not see herself as standing up for the president as much as for the ideals that are integral to American society.

“We don’t have to defend the president,” said King. “I believe President Trump might agree that we are defending America. He’s leading the charge, and we are supporting him.”

King said that Trump has a grasp on the trials that African-Americans have faced in this country.

“Now, at the African-American museum, for example, he was knowledgeable of much of the history of African-Americans,” said King. “And when we stopped and we looked at some of the displays, the little slave manacles and things, he said, ‘this is terrible. You can’t do that to people.’”

She said Trump is surrounding himself with “knowledgeable people,” and praised him for standing up for civil rights as president.

“President Trump himself is a brilliant man. I believe he’s compassionate. If you go and look at all of the executive orders, the things for women and science, for African-American education, for moving into our communities with Dr. Ben Carson at HUD,” she said.

Former Clinton Staffer Pays Trump Unexpected Compliment

President Donald Trump’s economic policies have had a positive impact on the American business climate, and his allies aren’t the only ones who have noticed. In fact, Mack McLarty, the chief of staff for former president Bill Clinton, recently suggested during an MSNBC interview that Democrats should adopt a more Trump-like message when it comes to jobs and the economy.

McLarty argued that instead of just being anti-Trump, Democrats needed to “stand for something,” including a serious approach to strengthening the economy.

“I don’t think there’s any question that the message should be a real focus on jobs and how were really going to broaden and strengthen this economy,” McLarty said. “President Trump has proposed some ways to do that in terms of infrastructure development and tax reform, all hard but doable.”

The former Clinton staffer was commenting on responses to a question a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll that indicated only 37 percent of Americans think the Democratic Party stands for something, and 52 percent think the Democrats only stand against Trump.

“They’ve got to do more than just stand against Trump,” McLarty said. “I think it’s always difficult when you’re in the minority to come out with a coherent, broad message.”

So far, however, the message from Democrats has been fairly simple: “Trump is bad.” In fact, current Democrat lawmakers have spent the majority of the year finding ways to undermine Trump’s presidency or poke holes in the legitimacy of his election.

It’s easy to say that you disagree with someone’s political stance, but simply disagreeing with the president won’t — or shouldn’t — be enough to get you elected. Instead, you must have solid, effective policy ideas of your own. Unfortunately for Democrats, they’re still clinging to the same failed policies that plagued the country under former President Barack Obama’s administration.

And as we saw in the 2016 presidential election, those policies won’t get you elected anymore — which is probably why McLarty is advising his party to look to Trump for inspiration on how to appeal to voters.

Border Patrol Union President Says Morale Among Border Patrol Agents At All-Time High

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/border-patrol-union-president-says-morale-among-border-patrol-agents-time-high/

Contending that President Donald Trump has done an excellent job of enforcing immigration law, the president of the National Border Patrol Council said Monday that morale has never been higher among Border Patrol agents.

Brandon Judd, the union’s president, said on Fox & Friends that the Border Patrol was not allowed to enforce immigration law over the last eight years because of the Obama administration’s catch-and release policies.

When asked to explain why the number of illegal border crossings has gone down so significantly under the Trump administration, Judd said that a message has been sent that “if you cross our borders illegally, you will be detained and you will be sent back.

“If you’re in the left, right or in the middle, you have to say this president has done exactly what he promised to do,” Judd said.

“We do have border security like what we expect to see,” he added.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported that the number of apprehensions has dropped to a six-year low in July, likely due to the president’s aggressive enforcement policies.

Regarding Trump’s proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexican border, Judd said that the U.S. must “have to have a double-layered wall,” also known as a secondary fence.

“If you look at El Paso or San Diego where we did it right, illegal immigration has plummeted and if we do it right in strategic locations like what the president said, we’re going to control illegal immigration,” Judd said.

“I think it’s going to get done,” he said of the effort to build the border wall.

In March, U.S. Customs and Border Protection solicited proposals for two types of walls — one concrete barrier and another consisting of alternative materials which might include energy-producing solar panels.

U.S. Customs and Border Enforcement entered “phase two” of the process in June, announcing that it would construct up to eight prototypes for consideration.

While they await the wall, Judd said there is now a “vibe” and “energy” among Border Patrol officers that he has not seen during his 20-year career.

“We signed up to do a job and this president is allowing us to do that job,” he said.

North Korea Threatens America With Nuclear War

Reported B

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/nk-issues-chilling-threat/

An article published in a North Korean state newspaper raised the chilling threat of nuclear war over recent bombing drills in South Korea by U.S. forces, it was reported Sunday. According to Fox News, the commentary, titled “U.S. Military Provocation under Fire,” was originally published in the ruling party’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper on Sunday and was republished by the state-run Korea Central News Agency.

The threat came one day after American B-1B supersonic bombers dropped inert bombs over South Korea in a joint exercise. Fox News described the drill as “a show of force” to counter North Korea’s firing of an ICBM.

“The U.S. warmongers sent a formation of B-1B strategic bombers to south Korea to stage a nuclear bombing drill aiming at strategic targets in the DPRK on Saturday,” the article read. “Unlike the past drills they openly took pictures of bombing flight and opened it to media.

“Timed to coincide with that, the U.S. imperialists infiltrated Aegis destroyer USS Mustin into Korea’s East Sea from its mother port in Yokosuka, Japan. It sailed more than 120 miles past the economic waters of the DPRK to conduct a spy mission.”

According to UPI, this isn’t the first time the North Koreans have accused the Mustin of violating its waters on a spy mission. Last month, KCNA claimed that the Mustin “trespassed more than (120 miles) into our economic zone and wandered around while conducting espionage and taking decisive action to create a serious military provocation.”

Proof of this charge, to the best of our knowledge, has not been forthcoming — hardly a surprise when you consider the evidentiary standards of the Juche regime or their sub-Pravda press organs.

This time, however, the North Koreans unsubtly threatened to turn the Korean Peninsula into a glow-stick for a few hundred years over what they called “reckless military provocations.”

“The U.S. openly said it would regularize sortie of the strategic bombers to the Korean peninsula. This is nothing but a frantic move declaring the will to play with fire on a powder house,” KCNA said. “The danger of a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula is reaching an extreme pitch owing to the reckless military provocations of the U.S. imperialists.”

They also said that Donald Trump and his administration, “suffering a serious ruling crisis is going to seek a way out in escalating tension on the Korean peninsula and in the region and provoking a war,” a statement that feels eerily like it could have been uttered on MSNBC to this reporter.

Look, I read plenty of KCNA/Rodong Sinmun propaganda for my job here at Conservative Tribune, and I can vouchsafe that the only threatened attack in those pages that has been perpetrated thus far are the daily crimes against proper use of the English language that both publications seem to revel in.

However, even when you consider that most of the Juche regime’s nuclear saber-rattling is about positioning, it’s still a persistent threat. The difference is that they now have ICBM technology that could theoretically reach Alaska — and even if those weapons cannot carry atomic warheads now, that means North Korea is coming ever closer to being able to hit the United States with a nuclear weapon.

Yes, these may be threats in fish-wrapper propaganda newspapers coming from a country where there aren’t even fish to wrap. That doesn’t mean the Trump administration shouldn’t respond as strongly as possible.

US And South Korea Fire Missiles Into Sea As A ‘Show Of Force’ To North Korea

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/u-s-south-korea-fire-missiles-sea-show-force-north-korea/

The U.S. Army and South Korean military fired at least two surface-to-surface precision missiles into South Korean waters Wednesday, local time, as a joint demonstration of their attack capabilities in response to North Korea’s latest missile test.

North Korea announced Tuesday it had successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, which state media claims reached an altitude of 1,741 miles, supposedly giving the regime the capability to strike Alaska with a nuclear warhead.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un celebrated the launch, calling it a “package of gifts” for “American bastards.”

The U.S. Army said its joint exercise with the South Korean military was a direct response to “North Korea’s destabilizing and unlawful actions on July 4.”

Officials released footage Tuesday evening of the simultaneous launches of Army’s Tactical Missile System and South Korea’s Hyunmoo Missile II system. The ATACMS is a mobile launch system capable of firing land-based missiles up to 185 miles away.

“The [South Korea]-U.S. alliance remains committed to peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and throughout the Asia-Pacific. The U.S. commitment to the defense of [South Korea] in the face of threats is ironclad,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

Chief Pentagon spokeswoman Dana W. White said the U.S. is prepared to defend itself and its allies.

“We remain prepared to defend ourselves and our allies and to use the full range of capabilities at our disposal against the growing threat from North Korea,” White said in a statement. “The United States seeks only the peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson strongly condemned North Korea’s ICBM launch, calling it “a new escalation of the threat to the United States, our allies and partners, the region, and the world.”

“Global action is required to stop a global threat,” Tillerson said Tuesday. “Any country that hosts North Korean guest workers, provides any economic or military benefits, or fails to fully implement UN Security Council resolutions is aiding and abetting a dangerous regime.”

“The United States seeks only the peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the end of threatening actions by North Korea. As we, along with others, have made clear, we will never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea,” Tillerson said.

President Donald Trump called on China to put pressure on North Korea to “end this nonsense once and for all” in a series of tweets Monday evening.

“North Korea has just launched another missile. Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?” Trump tweeted in reference to Kim Jong-un. “Hard to believe that South Korea and Japan will put up with this much longer. Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!”

Schiff Clams Up About Blocking Witness Testimony In Russia Probe

Reported by Photo of Kerry Picket Kerry Picket | Reporter | 6:44 PM 06/28/2017

WASHINGTON — House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff refused to give a reason why he reportedly blocked witnesses related to his committee’s Russia probe from testifying.

When first asked by The Daily Caller Tuesday about blocking witnesses scheduled to testify, Schiff only responded, “I don’t agree with the premise of your question.”

TheDC asked Schiff again on Wednesday and mentioned Carter Page as an example of a witness who was scheduled to testify but was blocked by Schiff from doing so.

Page is not the only witness who has been blocked. According to Politico, Trump confidant Roger Stone, and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort have also reportedly been stalled by Democrats in the committee.

“Mr. Page is free to say whatever he wants about anything, but we’re not commenting on who we’ve scheduled to come before the committee or not scheduled so I can’t comment,” Schiff responded.

TheDC pressed Schiff further asking if the California Democrat has a problem with Carter or if he refuses to talk about it because the matter is classified.

“Again, I don’t want to accept the premise of your question,” Schiff replied.

TheDC asked Schiff what “premise” he meant and what makes the matter so secretive to not want to comment on it.

“I didn’t say it was classified. I’m just saying that anyone is free to talk about or not talk about whether they’re going to come before a committee, but as a practice we’re not talking about any witnesses we’ve scheduled or what our communications are, so that’s our policy — both mine and Mr. Conway’s,” he replied.

HS Science Team Names Rocket After Trump Because It “Conquers All”

Part of being the president is hosting all sorts of visitors to the White House. President Donald Trump appeared to have had a blast doing just that with a group of North Carolina students. The high-schoolers, preparing for a national rocketry competition, stopped by to show off their competition-winning rocket that they named after the president himself.

Trump and students from Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte met in the Oval Office on May 12 to discuss the Team America Rocketry Challenge.

“Guess what the name of the rocket is?” Trump said to gathered reporters. “It’s called ‘Trump.’”

“It better work well!” he joked to the students.

When Trump asked why they had named their rocket after him, one student replied, “Simply because it conquers all.”

The media did show the meeting in the Oval Office, albeit quite briefly, and most certainly didn’t dwell on it.

The media also didn’t dwell on another important fact: the students were minorities who had been saved from their wretched public schools by a special voucher program in North Carolina that helps low- and moderate-income families afford private school tuition, according to The Charlotte Observer.

Trump has made it quite clear, both through his own words and the appointment of Betsy DeVos to serve as Education Secretary, that he is in favor of voucher programs like the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarships and other programs like charter schools that help break up the failing public school monopolies that trap many low-income students in terrible schools that prevent them from fully realizing their full potential.

Further debunking the media narratives surrounding Trump, watch the video again and take note of how happy and excited most of the students appeared to be to meet with the president, despite constant suggestions from the media that Trump hates minorities and poor people.

Trump Wins Over 3 Tech CEOs in Private Meeting

The CEOs of Apple, Google and Amazon offered praise for Donald Trump after a meeting with the president at the White House on Monday, Breitbart reported. According to The Hill, the meeting was a brainstorming session for Jared Kushner’s Office of American Innovation, which seeks in part to modernize the federal government through technology.

The session was attended by a number of tech industry CEOs — including Google’s Eric Schmidt, Apple’s Tim Cook and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos — as well as roughly two dozen business experts. In the aftermath of the meeting, the three CEOs came out with praise for the president.

“I’m absolutely convinced that during your administration there is going to be a huge explosion of new opportunities because of the platforms that are getting built in our industry,” Google’s Schmidt told the president.

Schmidt said that “huge” growth due to entrepreneurship, immigration and skilled workers was “going to happen soon during your leadership.” Schmidt was far from the only one predicting growth. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos praised the administration’s emphasis on information technology for improving government and saving taxpayers money, saying that Trump’s presidency could be the “innovation administration.”

“I think you guys are already headed that way,” Bezos said. However, he said there needed to be more emphasis on artificial intelligence.

“I think it would be impossible to overstate this, is that the United States needs to — in every way at every level — be working on machine learning and artificial intelligence,” he said. “That can be used in every part of government to improve the services that government provides to citizens.”

Apple’s Tim Cook also offered support for the administration’s efforts to streamline government.

“The U.S. should have the most modern government in the world, and today it doesn’t,” Cook said. He advocated a citizen-centric focus for how the federal government works.

“The government should be focused on its citizens, and the services of the government should be measured on how pleased the citizens are with receiving its services,” Cook said.

He added that learning how to code for computers should be “a requirement” in America’s public schools: “We have a huge deficit in the skills that we need today, vs. the skills that are there,” he said.

It’s worth pointing out that none of these individuals are on the Trump train. According to Newsweek, Bezos and Cook both openly opposed the president’s travel ban and Google filed an amicus brief in the case. Google also opposed President Trump’s reversal on the Obama administration’s guidance on transgender bathroom policy for public schools.

An administration official said that Monday’s meeting was just the start of the administration’s technology initiative.

“This is just the beginning of a multiyear process,” the official said.

“The problems we are looking at in the Office of American Innovation are not quick fixes,” they added. “These are things that are going to require years to really make significant progress on. Our systems are in some cases 10 to 20 years out of date, so we’re not going to fix that in one day. But we have to start now. And this day we believe will be a significant one in terms of generating ideas and potential solutions to some of the problems.”

Needless to say, the left wasn’t happy about the meeting. A liberal group called Tech Solidarity urged employees to force CEOs to boycott the meeting.

“This meeting doesn’t have to happen. Tech employees have the power to stop it,” the group said in a statement. “We’ve learned in the last six months that there is no clean way to do business with the Trump Administration. The President does not respect boundaries or institutions. You are either for him, or against him. That decision doesn’t belong to our CEOs; it belongs to us as an industry.”

That clearly doesn’t seem to have worked.

Trump Team Sends Gifts To Students Who Had Yearbook Photos Censored

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/trump-team-makes-epic-move/

A couple weeks back a report broke that three students from Wall High School in New Jersey had their pro-Trump T-shirts censored in the school’s yearbook.

“It was photoshopped,” one of the three students, Grant Berardo, told a local newspaper. “I sent it to my mom and dad, just like, ‘You won’t believe this.’ I was just overall disappointed. I like Trump, but it’s history, too. Wearing that shirt memorializes the time.”

After the story went viral, President Donald Trump sent a letter to at least two of the students — brother and sister Wyatt and Montana Debrovich-Fago — thanking them for standing up for their convictions.

“It is more important than ever that we, as Americans, stand up for our beliefs and hopes for a better country,” he wrote. “And, as you know, it takes courage to do. But, the freedom of expression should never go out of style — let’s not forget that!”

Included with the letter was some campaign merchandise that Wyatt later posted pictures to social media of himself wearing.

On Monday, the president shared two photos on his own Facebook page — one of the letter he sent the kids, and the other of Wyatt with his gear.

Check out the post below:

It’s unclear if Grant also received a letter and merchandise.

But what is certain is that Grant, Wyatt and Montana’s willingness to take a stand worked. Local school district superintendent Cheryl Dyer confirmed in a letter to parents last week that new yearbooks would be issued, according to  the Asbury Park Press.

In a letter to parents, Dyer listed what she called “intentional” problems with the yearbook that required it to be reissued. Several clearly intentional, such as the Trump image censorship; in others, the intent was unknown. Regardless, the school’s yearbook adviser was suspended shortly after the incident became public.

“I do not believe that it is possible to create a yearbook of 248 pages, thousands of pictures, names and lines of text and have it be error free,” she said, according to the newspaper. “That being said, I cannot allow the intentional change that was not based on dress code to be ignored.

“I am the chief school administrator in this district and I take responsibility for the actions of those who are employed here,” she continued. “Therefore, I have determined that a re‐issuance of the yearbook is necessary.”

Excellent.

Kudos to Grant, Wyatt and Montana. Not only did they force their school to fix its error, but they even earned the attention of the president of the United States. How many other kids their age can say they’ve done the same?

Pentagon Warns Russia After Their Threat to Shoot Down U.S. Jets

Over the weekend, the situation in Syria between the United States, the Russians and the Syrians took a very serious turn after an American fighter jet shot a Syrian aircraft out of the sky. The United States has defended its actions by stating that the Syrian plane was warned, but continued to bomb the Syrian Defense Force — a Syrian rebel group backed by the United States.

Russia in particular was outraged over this action, and issued a statement on Monday morning stating that they would “track” any United States planes that flew west of the Euphrates River. On Monday afternoon, the United States responded, The Washington Examiner reported.

“We are aware of the Russian statements,” Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis said in a statement. “We do not seek conflict with any party in Syria other than ISIS, but we will not hesitate to defend ourselves or our partners if threatened.”

That’s a pretty strong response, and it was definitely called for. While Russia’s statement did not specifically use the words “shoot down,” it clearly described aircraft flying in some areas as “targets” for destruction.

“From now on, in areas where Russian aviation performs combat missions in the skies of Syria, any airborne objects found west of the Euphrates River, including aircraft and unmanned vehicles belonging to the international coalition, tracked by means of Russian land and air anti-aircraft defense, will be considered air targets,” read the Russian Defense Ministry statement, according to CNN.

Advertisement – story continues below

Russia was essentially trying to dictate where America can and cannot fly in the Middle East — and Defense Secretary James Mattis’ Pentagon wasn’t going to let that happen.

CNN noted that Australia decided to take a slightly different approach. Rather than stand up to the Russian thugs, Australia suspended all air operations over Syria as a “precautionary measure.” Way to stand up for your right to fight terrorists, Australia. As soon as the anti-islamic State coalition hits a little snag, Australia bails on it. Sad.

The situation between Russia and the United States in Syria isn’t likely to go away anytime soon. The Russians have drawn their red line in the sand, and we have drawn ours.

President Donald Trump isn’t one to back down from a fight — especially when another country is trying to limit our ability to conduct airstrikes against terror groups in Syria.

The Hill noted that as the Islamic State terror group loses territory in Syria, tensions between Russia and the United States are likely to rise as each will want to grab onto the territory that was once held by the terror group. The United States will support the moderate rebels who have helped us defeat the terrorists, and the Russians and their Syrian counterparts will want to exterminate all the rebels and take over all the territory.

Obviously we would hope that tensions between the United States and Russia don’t boil over into actual violence, but the United States cannot allow Russia to dictate foreign policy in the Middle East (or anywhere else.).

President Barack Obama wasn’t the best at projecting American strength (actually he was the worst), so the Russians probably have the wrong impression about how far they can push us. If push comes to shove, Trump won’t hesitate to strike back against the Russians. While we would all love for there to be peace in this world, we aren’t going to sacrifice our sovereignty just to appease a bunch of former communist thugs.

Eric Holder Wants To Be In The Spotlight And Might Run In 2020

Former Attorney General Eric Holder is moving away from a behind-the-scenes role and is considering running for president in 2020, according to a Tuesday report from Yahoo News.

“Up to now, I have been more behind-the-scenes. But that’s about to change. I have a certain status as the former attorney general. A certain familiarity as the first African-American attorney general,” Holder told Yahoo News. “There’s a justified perception that I’m close to President Obama. So I want to use whatever skills I have, whatever notoriety I have, to be effective in opposing things that are, at the end of the day, just bad for the country.”

The former attorney general has been working against Trump administration initiatives ranging from crackdowns on illegal immigration to increased prosecutions of drug dealers. Holder further explained that Hillary Clinton’s loss inspired him to step into the spotlight.

I thought, frankly, along with everybody else, that after the election, with Hillary Clinton as president, I could walk off the field,” the former attorney general elaborated. “So when she didn’t win, I thought, ‘We’ll have to see how this plays out.’ But it became clear relatively soon — and certainly sooner than I expected — that I had to get back on the field and be in effective opposition.”

Holder spoke Monday in the lobby of the Ronald Reagan State Building in Los Angeles in favor of a California Senate bill that would prohibit local and state police from assisting in federal immigration enforcement.

He said that the “federal government does not have the ability to force states to do things that are inherently federal in nature.” A Republican-backed bill in the House of Representatives with White House support would allow state and local jurisdictions to create their own immigration law consistent with federal statutes.

The former attorney general who is from Washington is seeking to use California as a launching pad for his political ambitions. he said, “California is in so many ways a trendsetter, whether it is in pop culture or in politics.”

Pelosi Claims Trump Will Self Impeach

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/pelosi-has-lost-it/

Advertisement – story continues below

It’s a bit difficult to take talk of impeachment of President Donald Trump from the left seriously, if only because we’ve been hearing it from the moment that he was elected. Any misgiving the left has about our 45th president is almost immediately transmuted into a clarion call to impeach the man and throw him out of office.

In fact, a recent poll by Politico and Morning Consult found that 43 percent of the people who favor impeaching the president don’t actually think he’s committed a crime that rises to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors,” which is the standard the Constitution sets.

Don’t worry, though. Nancy Pelosi has a new strategy to impeach Trump, and it shows just how much she’s lost it: she thinks that the president can be “self-impeached.”

Yes, really. Politico reported that during a closed-door meeting with Democrats on Tuesday, the House minority leader used the expression to mollify her charges in the lower chamber and implore them to wait for investigations of the president to run their course.

“It’s a big deal to talk about impeachment,” multiple sources present reported Pelosi as saying. “I think he’s going to self-impeach.”

I’m not quite sure how that works (is it like an Ouroboros of impeachment or something?), but it’s become pretty clear that the Democrats are now pinning their hopes on the president tweeting something that lets them vote him out of office. Good luck with that one.

Advertisement – story continues below

In spite of the fact that she has turned into a bit of a nutter, there is (kind of) a method to Pelosi’s madness. According to The Hill, Democrat leadership is quickly coming to the realization that the perfervid rage of their constituents and rank-and-file legislators against the president is translating into poor decisions — including an effort by Rep. Brad Sherman of California to introduce evidence-free articles of impeachment.

At the same caucus meeting, Rep. Michael Capuano — a Massachusetts Democrat who is an ally of party leadership — said there needed to be “a discussion within the caucus — in a public forum — before we do something that would position our colleagues or our future colleagues.”

“Emotions are high. These issues have political implications and government ones,” he added. According to reports, Pelosi backed Capuano’s statement.

However, this shouldn’t be a surprise to Minority Leader Pelosi. Even the slightest innuendo about the president gets liberals talking about impeachment. Why should we be surprised when the men and women who represent these snowflakes take them seriously?

Here’s a brief compendium of the things the left thinks Trump should be impeached for:

  • Firing James Comey. (Even though they wanted to.)
  • Colluding with the Russians. (Even though he didn’t.)
  • Obstructing justice. (Even though that’s a matter of opinion.)
  • Eating two scoops of ice cream while everyone else had one. (Call me when he eats an entire Fudgie the Whale cake.)
  • Being the second shooter on the grassy knoll. (We all know that shot was fired from an Illuminati black helicopter.)
  • Canceling “Twin Peaks” back in 1991. (David Lynch is just existentialist nonsense masquerading as profundity, anyhow.) Making up the last two items on this list. (Fair enough.)

There is not, at this time, any evidence which should lead to the impeachment of President Trump. This puts the Democrats in a bad position. Either leadership allows the party’s most unhinged members to go through an impeachment attempt they know won’t (and shouldn’t) succeed, or they acknowledge that the fervor they’ve been fomenting against the president has all been for show.

For now, Pelosi is splitting the difference, setting a strategy of “self-impeachment.” Nice try. I think it’s time to consider “self-retirement,” Rep. Pelosi.

Report: Cindy McCain To Join The Trump Administration

Reported

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/report-cindy-mccain-will-join-trump-administration/

President Donald Trump has “aggressively courted” the wife of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., to join his administration for several months to no avail. After months of rejecting offers to join the administration under several potential posts, Cindy McCain has finally reached a deal with the president, according to a report by the Daily Beast.

“[Trump personally], aggressively courted her for this,” a White House official told website. “It’s a done deal now. The president had floated several positions before. This is the one that stuck.”

Cindy McCain, a well-known voice on refugees and other humanitarian efforts, will join the Trump administration to be a Washington D.C.-based “U.S. ambassador-at-large for human rights.”

Her official title is subject to change.

The president’s daughter and special adviser, Ivanka Trump, helped seal the deal.

A White House official said Trump strongly recommended her father make a “hard sell” to McCain, who impressed the president’s daughter at an anti-human trafficking roundtable at the White House last month.

McCain is well known for her involvement in humanitarian causes. She is the co-chair of the Arizona Human Trafficking Council, and has also worked with Arizona State University’s McCain Institute on human trafficking issues. She’s also worked for years to raise awareness on refugees from war-torn countries in Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Trump has been eyeing  McCain to join his team for months, and privately discussed the prospect with her during a White House dinner with her and her husband in April.

“When [President Trump] sat down and ate with [John] McCain, it was always really to meet with the other McCain,” a source within the Trump administration told the Daily Beast.

Cindy McCain will be placed under the umbrella of the State Department, which is expected to relieve tensions between one of his fiercest Republican opponents on foreign policy, Sen. John McCain.

John and Cindy McCain are by no means fans of the president. Both decided against voting for Trump during the election, and the senator was among the voices in the Never Trump movement by suggesting he wasn’t qualified to be president.

“Cindy and I will not vote for Donald Trump. I have never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate, and we will not vote for Hillary Clinton,” John McCain said in October. “We will write in the name of some good conservative Republican who is qualified to be president.”

This Constitutional Law Prof Knock Down MSNBC’s ‘Obstruction Of Justice’ Narrative In Less Than Two Minutes

Constitutional law professor Elizabeth Price Foley spent her Sunday afternoon knocking down the “obstruction of justice” narrative on MSNBC.

The Harvard-educated Foley calmly explained to frustrated MSNBC host Yasmin Vossoughian why President Trump would have been legally allowed to suggest former FBI Director James Comey let go of the probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and why Trump was well within his constitutional authority to later fire Comey.

“If the American people are unhappy with the way Trump acted,” Foley said, “their two options under our constitutional system are to push for impeachment or to vote somebody else into office in 2020.”

“To the extent that people want try to make this obstruction of justice, there’s a million different layers why this is not technically obstruction of justice, either as a statutory matter or a constitutional matter,” Foley said. “But this point particularly about a ‘corrupt intent’ is even worse. Because think about it, the president also has the authority under Article II [of the Constitution] to pardon people, but we don’t say for example that the president can’t pardon a certain person because he has a corrupt intent, he likes the guy he’s known him for a long time so therefore he can’t pardon him.”

“The pardon power like the power to head the investigative, or the rest of the executive branch like the FBI, like the DOJ is a plenary discretionary authority of the president. He can pardon anybody for any reason he wants, corrupt purpose or no, and he can direct the investigation or non- investigation corrupt motive or no,” she added.

“You don’t put discretionary limits on constitutional authority ap and if you do you invite Article III non-elected non-accountable judges to second-guess the president’s authority. You never want to have a constitutional regime that sets up that way. We the people can either not vote the president in or we can impeach him, those are the political pushback mechanisms.”

Bill O’Reilly Drops 1 Fact From Comey Testimony That Media Is Ignoring

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/bill-o-reilly-fact-on-comey/

Advertisement – story continues below

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claimed Wednesday evening that, despite all the hoopla by the media over former FBI Director James Comey’s then-upcoming testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding his conversations with President Donald Trump, the president has done nothing wrong.

“A sitting President has absolute authority to ask about any investigation as long as the Prez does not interfere in fact gathering process,” he wrote in a tweet.

In Comey’s testimony the next morning, the former director admitted that in February the president allegedly asked him to drop the bureau’s investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who ostensibly resigned earlier that month after prior conversations between him and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak became public.

The problem is that Comey viewed that simple question as an “order” and now believes he was fired from his own position three months later partially because he failed to follow it. For the record, this belief is patently false.

Moreover, even if Trump had actually ordered Comey to stop the investigation, that order would itself not have been wrong either, according to law scholar Alan Dershowitz.

“(O)ur history shows that many presidents — from Adams to Jefferson, to Lincoln, to Roosevelt, to Kennedy, to Bush 1, and to Obama — have directed the Justice Department with regard to ongoing investigations,” he wrote Thursday in an op-ed for Fox News. “The history is clear, the precedents are clear, the constitutional structure is clear, and common sense is clear.”

But did Trump really “order” Comey to halt the investigation?

The answer to this question remains murky, though what former Director Comey himself wrote in his farewell letter is not: “I have long believed that a President can fire an FBI Director for any reason, or for no reason at all.”

OK, then why is Comey still complaining? And why are the “hysterical” media, as O’Reilly referred to them, acting as the former director’s testimony was somehow earth-shattering? Is it because they’re idiots or they’re just full of it? Knowing them, it’s probably both.

“This bloodshed must end. This bloodshed will end. As president, I will do what is necessary to prevent this threat from spreading to our shores and work every single day to protect the security of our country, our communities and our people.”

The president stressed the need for his proposed travel ban after the London terror attacks on Saturday that left seven people dead and at least 48 others injured. The travel ban is currently held up in court.

“We need to be smart, vigilant and tough. We need the courts to give us back our rights,Trump stated in the aftermath of Saturday’s attacks.  “We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!”

Trump Says Kathy Griffin Should Be Ashamed of Herself After Posting Image

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/trump-statement-kathy-griffin/

Apparently, holding up an effigy of the president’s decapitated, bloody head can get you into trouble. Who knew?

Well, Kathy Griffin now knows. Even the “covfefe” kerfuffle didn’t knock the D-list celebrity out of the headlines after her horrifying photo shoot. Now, she’s gone from having one night a year on a major television network to zero nights a year, as CNN has decided Griffin is actually unfit to get plastered with Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon on live TV this New Year’s Eve.

That’s pretty brutal — and it was all before President Trump decided to lay into her.

In a tweet, the president called Griffin’s actions “sick” and said the beheading photo had an impact on his family.

According to the U.K. Daily Mail, first lady Melania Trump also released a statement in which she criticized Griffin, saying that “(a)s a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing.”

“When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it,” she added.

According to a report in TMZ, Barron Trump was left panicked and screaming when the image of Griffin holding his father’s bloodied head showed up on the television news.

“He’s 11. He doesn’t know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad,” a source told TMZ.

The outrage over Griffin’s photo shoot was exacerbated by the fact that her “apology” didn’t actually mention the president or his family by name. Instead, the comic said she was sorry for “cross(ing) the line.”

That’s not going to work this time — not when you’ve threatened a man with effigial beheading on camera. That’s the kind of thing the Islamic State group does, not anti-Trump celebrities. This is just the beginning of a massive backlash for Griffin, and halfhearted apologies aren’t going to cut it.

Why There Won’t Be Any Evidence Of Russian ‘Collusion,’ Explained In Just Two Paragraphs

Reported by Ryan Pickrell | China/Asia Pacific Reporter | 12:47 PM 05/19/2017

URL of the original posting site: http://dailycaller.com/2017/05/19/why-there-wont-be-any-evidence-of-russian-collusion-explained-in-just-two-paragraphs/

The narrative that President Donald Trump has questionable ties to Russia persists, even though evidence of collusion has yet to come to light and probably won’t.

Conservative blogger Jim Geraghty, a contributor for National Review and noted #nevertrumperexplained the complete lack of evidence in just two very straightforward paragraphs.

Are any Democratic lawmakers starting to fear that they’re not going to find that evidence? The intelligence community is presumably always watching the Russian government as closely as they can. The FBI counterintelligence guys presumably track Russian agents on our soil as much as possible. You figure the NSA can track just about any electronic communication between Russians and figures in the Trump campaign. If there was something sinister and illegal going on between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, the U.S. government as a whole had every incentive in the world to expose that as quickly as possible.

They didn’t expose it before Election Day, they didn’t expose it before the Electoral College voted, they didn’t expose it before Inauguration Day … How many months have the best investigators in the United States been digging into this?

The establishment media has repeatedly highlighted the president’s inexperience and incompetence, yet he has somehow been able to hide deep political orchestrations with Russia, a clear U.S. rival, from America’s most advanced surveillance apparatus on the planet.

Reuters reported Thursday that members of the Trump campaign had 18 undisclosed exchanges with Russian officials, and while it is troubling that those interactions were not disclosed, Reuters introduced that there is “no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia.”

The report followed the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a Department of Justice special counsel to oversee the investigation into any possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

Bombshell: May 3rd Calendar Entry Will Clear Trump… Media in Panic Mode

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/bombshell-may-3rd-calendar/

The Washington Post may very well have led the American public seriously astray via its recent attacks on President Donald Trump. The Post claimed that FBI Director James Comey wrote a memo in which he said that Trump had asked him to drop the investigation on former administration member Michael Flynn, despite a clear claim to the contrary by Comey’s successor, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

What’s more frustrating than that is the fact that The Post claimed anonymous sources backed up its statements, but provided no real substance.

Just look for a second at this verbiage. This is an actual, serious line from The Washington Post that they just expect the good people of America to believe:

“‘I hope you can let this go, Trump said, according to the Comey notes, which were described by the associates. Comey’s written account of the meeting is two pages long and highly detailed, the associates said.”

And although Comey has not come out and said specifically that Trump never asked him to stop investing Flynn, he certainly seemed to imply it in May 3 testimony he gave the Senate Judiciary Committee.

When asked whether senior DOJ officials could ask the FBI to drop an investigation, Comey said flat-out, “It’s not happened in my experience,” according to a transcript, provided by, once again, The Washington Post.

Although that’s not a denial of Trump himself having asked Comey to drop the investigation, there does seem to be that implication at the very least. You’d think if Trump had said something, Comey would also have said something.

In fact, The Post’s statement doesn’t mean much at all when you consider the actual on-the-record-in-front-of-witnesses claims made by acting FBI director Andrew McCabe that fly right in the face of these unsubstantiated accusations.

When Sen. Marco Rubio asked McCabe before the Senate Intelligence Committee whether or not the firing of former FBI Director James Comey “in any way impeded, interrupted, stopped or negatively impacted any of the work, any investigation, or any ongoing projects at the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” McCabe’s response was even more definitive than the question given to him dictated.

“As you know, senator,” McCabe said, “the work of the men and women of the FBI continues despite any changes in circumstance, any decisions, so there has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.”

Huh. No effort at all to impede our investigation to date. Interesting.

The Washington Post’s editors tried to cover themselves by saying, “It’s unclear from the questioning if McCabe was talking solely about the consequences of Comey’s abrupt firing, or referring to a specific investigation on Trump’s associates for possible connections to Russian officials.”

Yeah, right. That’s not the only thing unclear here.

Even Maxine Waters Says There’s No Evidence Of Trump-Russia Collusion [VIDEO]

One of President Trump’s harshest congressional critics acknowledged on Thursday that she has yet to see evidence of collusion between Trumpworld and the Russian government. In an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” California Rep. Maxine Waters went through her usual schtick of calling for Trump’s impeachment. She made vague allegations of cooperation between the Trump campaign and Kremlin “in developing a strategy about how they could ensure that Hillary Clinton was not elected.”

“I am talking about strategies that were developed, working with the Trump campaign. I really do believe that much of what you saw coming out of Trump’s mouth was a play from Putin’s playbook,” Waters said.

But after a two-minute diatribe, the Democrat was forced to acknowledge that she has yet to actually see evidence of collusion.

“But just to be clear, there has been no actual evidence yet?” Huffington Post editor Sam Stein asked Waters.

“No, it has not been,” Waters responded. “No it has not. And I want you to know every time I’ve talked about impeachment I’ve said we’ve got to connect the dots, we’ve got to get the facts, we’ve got to do the investigation. That is what leads to impeachment, and I’ve also said that Trump will lead us right there.”

The White House cited Waters’ remarks in a press release to reporters on Thursday afternoon, after Trump denied at a press conference that he colluded with Russians to influence the outcome of the election.

“There was no collusion, and everybody — even my enemies have said, there is no collusion,” Trump said.

Nancy Pelosi Melts After Being Asked 1 Simple Question

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/nancy-pelosi-melts-simple-question/

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been on the front lines of the Democrat party’s war against President Donald Trump since his inauguration, except her outrageous statements have only hurt her more than the president.

During a CNN town hall on Monday night, Pelosi once again showed how completely clueless she is after she was asked by an audience member about the hypocrisy Democrats are showing over the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, The Daily Wire reported.

“Good evening, Madam Leader. Before the election on Nov. 8, your side of the aisle were asking for the former head of the FBI to resign,” said an audience member identified as small business owner Jake Lee. “Now that he has been let go, why the sudden and selective outrage from your side of the aisle?”

The question really threw Pelosi off guard. After initially denying that she ever wanted Comey fired, and stating that “Some people were asking to be let go,” (which we’re assuming was meant to state that some people wanted Comey let go) she started complaining about why Trump fired him,

“For the president of the United States to fire with his own self-admission that he didn’t like — he was tired of the Russia-Trump probe,” she said, before stumbling over her own words.

After spending a good five seconds looking around for the right word and stammering out “uh,” Pelosi finally decided upon “distressing.”

“It’s distressing. We believe in the FBI as being an independent law enforcement agency, to be respected, and not to be fired by president because he’s tired of an investigation they’re doing,” she stated.

Throughout the entire thing Pelosi was flailing her arms about, looking like some sort of bird that didn’t quite know how to fly.

Of course throughout her answer, Pelosi never actually answered the question. That’s because the Democrats have displayed their hypocrisy for the world to see, and they are counting on the liberal media to protect them from Americans demanding answers.

You can watch the moment here:

Right now, Democrats are too busy screaming about impeachment and demanding a special prosecutor to articulate why exactly they are upset about Comey being fired.

Maybe in a few weeks they will calm down and be able to form coherent sentences. I mean, as much as they were ever able to.

Violence And Intimidation Against Republicans Are Becoming The New Normal

Reported by Photo of Peter Hasson Peter Hasson | Associate Editor | 9:59 PM 05/14/2017

In one of the most recent incidents, police in Tennessee charged a woman with felony reckless endangerment on Thursday for allegedly trying to run Republican Congressman David Kustoff off the road after a town hall. The woman, Wendi Wright, was reportedly enraged over Kustoff’s support for the American Health Care Act and screamed at the congressman and his aide, striking his car windows and reaching inside the vehicle.

The same day that Tennessee police charged Wright for reckless endangerment, police in North Dakota escorted an enraged man from another town hall after he became physical with Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer over his support for the GOP Obamacare replacement. “Will the rich benefit from, if the health care is destroyed, do the rich get a tax break? Yes or no?” the man shouted, before shoving cash down the congressman’s collar. “There you go, take it.”

CNN’s Poppy Harlow downplayed the incident, saying the man was “showing his disgust” with Cramer.

The day before that, a Huffington Post article that showed “how to really turn up the heat on elected officials” went viral. The author, Michaelangelo Signorile, called on protesters to harass Republicans at dinner, when they’re out shopping and even at home. Societal norms for the basic levels of decency one should afford political opponents, Signorile argued, no longer apply to liberals.

“It’s time to move beyond polite protests within specified boundaries. It’s time to escalate the expression of our outrage and our anger in a massive way,” he wrote. (RELATED: In Their Own Words: Anti-Trump ‘Resistance’ Leaders Say They Want To Make America ‘Ungovernable’)

“Starting today and from here on, no elected official ― certainly those in the GOP defending and supporting Trump on a variety of issues, for example ― should be able to sit down for a nice, quiet lunch or dinner in a Washington, DC eatery or even in their own homes. They should be hounded by protestors everywhere, especially in public ― in restaurants, in shopping centers, in their districts, and yes, on the public property outside their homes and apartments, in Washington and back in their home states.”

Signorile’s article has already been shared more than 29,000 times.

Political violence has been increasingly common as left-wing organizations have whipped up mobs against Republicans and supporters of the president. (RELATED: Leaked Audio Reveals Anti-Trump Forces Manufacturing Hostile Town Hall)

A popular parade in Portland, Oregon last month was cancelled after threats of violence against one of the groups participating — a local Republican organization.

An email warning parade organizers promised 200 or more protesters would rush into the parade and drag the Republican marchers out, if that’s what it took to keep them from participating. “You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely,” the email warned. Portland has been a site for organized left-wing protests, which have often turned into violent riots. (RELATED: Leader Of Portland Anti-Trump Protests Charged With Sexually Abusing A Minor)

The threat was sent from an email address registered with RiseUp.Net, an organization that is open about “providing communication and computer resources to allies engaged in struggles against capitalism and other forms of oppression.”

The Oregon threat was credible in part because Berkeley, California has become a literal political battlefield on multiple occasions now, after far-left groups have resorted to violence to keep Pro-Trump speakers (or, in one case, free speech marchers who happened to be Trump supporters) from appearing in public.

Pro-Trump speaker Milo Yiannopoulos had his speech at the University of California-Berkeley cancelled after rioters set the campus ablaze in order to keep him from speaking. (RELATED: ‘INFERNO’ — Milo Speech Cancelled After Rioters Set Campus Ablaze [VIDEO])

Political commentator Ann Coulter, who staunchly supported Trump during his presidential campaign, had her speech at UC Berkeley cancelled after the protest groups vowed a repeat performance of the Milo riots. (RELATED: Documents Tie Berkeley Riot Organizers To Pro-Pedophilia Group NAMBLA)

A North Carolina GOP office was even firebombed a month before the election, and a building adjacent to it was spray painted with graffiti: “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else.”

Shortly before the election, a female high school student was attacked after declaring her support for Trump. A fellow female student took the girl’s glasses off and punched her in the face, saying, “Fuck you, you bitch.”

Olivia Corn, president of Cornell University’s College Republicans, said she was physically assaulted the night after Trump won the election. “Fuck you, racist bitch, you support a racist party,” her attacker reportedly said. Ironically, Corn said she was “not Donald Trump’s biggest fan,” and added that she “was saddened that I was not afforded the same respect that I offer others.”

A Maryland high school student wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat after the election was punched and kicked by students protesting Trump after he started arguing with them.

Similarly, police in Florida arrested a 17-year-old high school student after he punched a classmate for carrying a Trump sign at school.

“It definitely had a political motivation,” said Lt. Mike Bandish of the Palm Bay Police Department. “The boy was carrying a Trump sign and walked into the gym. The other boy punched him in the face.”

Conservative Tim Allen’s Sitcom ‘Last Man Standing’ Cancelled Despite Strong Ratings

Reported

ABC confirmed Wednesday it is cancelling Tim Allen’s sitcom Last Man Standing, despite the show posting strong ratings. Deadline reports the popular program, which stars Allen as political conservative and Christian Mike Baxter, is the second-most watched comedy on ABC and the network’s third-most viewed scripted series overall.

Though airing at 8 p.m. Friday nights, Last Man Standing pulls only slightly fewer viewers than ABC’s No. 1, socially liberal, comedy Modern Family — airing at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays — which ABC did renew. The Live+7 viewership (those who watch the program live or within seven days on DVR) total is 8.1 million for Last Man Standing compared to Modern Family’s 8.7 million.

Despite being in its sixth season, the program only saw a modest 5 percent decline in viewership, in comparison to other shows which are normally down as much as 20 or 30 percent at this point in their television life, according to Deadline.

Variety reports, “Last Man Standing was ahead of the curve in the cultural sense as Allen played a conservative-minded patriarch who runs a sporting goods store and opines about the modern world, including political topics such as Obamacare and environmental policy.”

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in March, Allen said it is dangerous to be politically conservative in Hollywood, as he recounted attending President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I’m not kidding. You gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes,” Allen said.

“This is like ‘30s Germany,” he added. “I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.

“I’m a comedian, I like going [off] on both sides,” Allen said.

The actor, who describes himself as a fiscal conservative, endorsed fellow Midwesterner and Ohio Gov. John Kasich during the presidential primaries. Allen did not endorse Trump during the general election, but did speak out last November against Hollywood liberals trying to bully others who supported him.

As reported by Western Journalism, Disney CEO Bob Iger defended his corporation, which is the parent company of ABC, against charges of being liberally biased during the annual shareholder meeting in March.

Iger was questioned whether Disney would continue to cater to “liberal coastal elites or make your company welcoming to all Americans?”

The CEO denied Disney was only focused on producing programming agreeable to liberals.

Iger, who co-hosted a Beverly Hills fundraiser for Hillary Clinton last August, has agreed to be part of the president’s Business Advisory Council.

“I don’t believe my membership in that group in any way endorses or supports any specific policy of the president or his administration,” Iger told shareholders, who opposed his participation.

Fans of Last Man Standing are hoping the show will be picked up by Netflix or some other outlet. The first five seasons of the show are currently offered on Netflix.

ACLU Lawyer Admits Trump’s Travel Ban ‘Could Be Constitutional’ If Enacted By Clinton

URL of the original posting site: http://www.westernjournalism.com/aclu-lawyer-admits-trumps-travel-ban-could-be-constitutional-if-enacted-by-clinton/

While arguing before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday, American Civil Liberties Union Lawyer Omar Jadwat admitted that if former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton had enacted President Donald Trump’s proposed travel ban, it may have been constitutional.

Jadwat, a senior staff attorney for the ACLU, had been arguing before the court that Trump’s revised ban was unconstitutional because of anti-Muslim comments he made on the campaign trail. Judge Paul Niemeyer then challenged his assertion.

The judge raised a hypothetical scenario in which a different outcome in the 2016 election could have changed the constitutionality of the exact same executive order.

“If a different candidate had won the election and then issued this order, I gather you wouldn’t have any problem with that?” Niemeyer asked.

Jadwat stumbled over his words and avoided answering the question directly.

Niemeyer, a President George W. Bush appointee, repeated his question.

“We have a candidate who won the presidency, some candidate other than President Trump won the presidency and then chose to issue this particular order, with whatever counsel he took,” Niemeyer said. “Do I understand that just in that circumstance, the executive order should be honored?”

“Yes, your honor, I think in that case, it could be constitutional,” Jadwat said.

Judge Shedd then chimed in, asking Jadwat if the “order was legitimate on its face.”

“I don’t think so your honor,” Jadwat replied. “The order is completely unprecedented in our nation’s history.”

Even if the Trump administration prevails in the 4th Circuit, the ban will not immediately go into effect.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals will begin hearing another case on Trump’s travel ban next Monday — a result of U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson’s ruling that the president’s executive order violates the Establishment Clause of the Constitution.

THAAD Missile Set Up in North Korea Is Officially Ready to Use

A missile defense system that the United States has begun installing in South Korea has “reached an initial operating capability to defend against North Korean missiles,” according to news reports. U.S. officials confirmed Monday that the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, which was deployed to the Korean peninsula in order to counter the threat of missile strikes from Kim Jong Un’s regime, had successfully come online, according to Reuters. However, they cautioned that full operability would not be reached for several months.

The system’s installation has been a point of contention with China, which has argued that THAAD’s radar could be used to spy on Beijing and would weaken the deterrent effect of China’s own ballistic missiles.

“It helps in no way to achieve the denuclearization of the peninsula and regional peace and stability,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said last week, according to Agence France-Presse.

He added Beijing would “take necessary measures to safeguard its own interests.”

On Tuesday, North Korean officials said that the introduction of the THAAD system, in addition to American bomber drills with Japan and South Korea, had pushed the peninsula to “the brink of nuclear war.”

According to Reuters, North Korea state news agency KCNA reported that the bomber flights were “a nuclear bomb-dropping drill against major objects” in North Korea.

It also said that President Donald Trump and “other U.S. warmongers are crying out for making a preemptive nuclear strike.”

Yes, apparently we’re the warmongers, even as North Korea conducts illegal missile tests and broadcasts concerts with video of San Francisco being blown up by a nuclear weapon.

It’s obvious that Kim Jong In is not tethered to reality. Dictators living in la-la land are hardly anything new, but most of them don’t have nuclear weapons at their disposal.

Thankfully, we have the THAAD to intercept any missiles from Kim Jong Un’s regime, meaning whatever advantage he had is not what it used to be.

Entire Senate to Go to White House for North Korea Briefing

Top Trump administration officials will hold a rare briefing Wednesday at the White House for the entire U.S. Senate on the situation in North Korea, senior Senate aides said Monday.

All 100 senators have been asked to the White House for the briefing by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the aides said.

While top administration officials routinely travel to Capitol Hill to address members of Congress on foreign policy and national security matters, it is unusual for the entire 100-member Senate to go to such an event at the White House, and for those four top officials to be involved.

U.S. officials have expressed mounting concern over North Korea’s nuclear and missile tests, and its threats to attack the United States and its Asian allies.

President Donald Trump criticized North Korea’s “continued belligerence” and said its actions were destabilizing during a telephone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday, the White House said.

The briefing will take place at 3 p.m. ET.

House aides said they were working with the White House to set a similar briefing for members of the House of Representatives.

Obama Had To Pressure Hillary Multiple Times To Concede On Election Night

waving flagdisclaimerReported by Derek Hunter | Contributor | 8:11 PM 04/17/2017

The presidential election of 2016 shocked the world, but no one was more shocked than Hillary Clinton. A new book on the Clinton campaign contains the revelation that Clinton had to be pressured into conceding her loss on election night by President Barack Obama.

“POTUS doesn’t think it’s wise to drag this out,” White House political director David Simas is reported as saying to Robby Mook, Clinton’s campaign manager. The campaign did not concede at that point.

Later, President Obama himself called and told Clinton, “You need to concede.” The president then repeated the demand to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta shortly thereafter.

While she didn’t publicly concede on election night — she waited until morning to address supporters —  The Washington Post reports the calls from Obama had the desired impact. “At last, Clinton said, ‘Give me the phone.’ And then the first woman who was going to be president got her opponent on the line and said two words she never expected to say: ‘Congratulations, Donald.’”

The calls from President Obama started after Wisconsin was called for Donald Trump. The Post reports, “President Barack Obama thought it was over and did not want a messy recount.”

The exchanges come from the new book, “Shattered” by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes.

Syrians Have A New Nickname For Trump

Syrians have a new nickname for President Donald Trump following his punishing strike against the Assad regime. People across the Arab world are referring to Trump as “Abu Ivanka al-Amriki,” or “Father of Ivanka, the American,” on social media, reports The Telegraph. The nickname is a term of admiration and respect for the president, following his decisive action in response to the chemical weapons U.S. officials believe President Bashar al-Assad ordered.

“One Syrian tells me the new nom de guerre for President Trump on the ground in Northern Syria is Abu Ivanka al-Amriki,” a CNN international correspondent tweeted.

Syrians in the U.S., too, praised Trump for the punishing strike, expressing relief that the U.S. finally acted against Assad, who has been brutally slaughtering civilians for years in an attempt to suppress the uprising against him. Many have expressed frustration over former President Barack Obama’s policy of avoiding direct action against the regime, despite repeated words of compassion and statements of condemnation for Assad’s brutal actions.end of obama legacy

“When I saw President Trump and the United States taking action for the first time after six years of calling for help, we felt happy and grateful,” Kassen Eid, a Syrian refugee who survived a 2013 chemical weapons attack told Fox News following the strike. He, like many other Syrian refugees, hopes Trump’s policy change will eventually result in a safer Syria that will allow them to return home.

Some restaurant owners in Syria have gone so far as to change the name of their shop in honor of Trump, reports The Telegraph. One Syrian man who opposes Assad told the outlet he wants to name his first son after Trump.

“Maybe you in the West hate Trump, but he has already done far more for us than Obama,” Najim Hassan, a Syrian who lives in a city occupied by rebels against Assad, told The Telegraph. “We love him because he does more than he says, he’s a man of action and at least he gives us something to hope for.”

Former US Attorney: Susan Rice Ordered Spy Agencies To Produce ‘Detailed Spreadsheets’ Involving Trump

Reported by Photo of Richard Pollock Richard Pollock | Reporter | 10:08 PM 04/03/2017

Update: In response to a question Tuesday from NBC News reporter Andrea Mitchell,  former Obama White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice denied that she “prepared” spreadsheets of surveilled telephone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides. The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group, however, reported that Rice “ordered” the spreadsheets to be produced.

In addition, former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova, one of TheDCNF’s sources, said Tuesday in response to Rice that her denial “would come as quite a surprise to the government officials who have reviewed dozens of those spreadsheets.”

Former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S. spy agencies to produce “detailed spreadsheets” of legal phone calls involving Donald Trump and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.

“What was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,” diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.

“The overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,” diGenova said. “In short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.”

Other official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova’s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election.

Also on Monday, Fox News and Bloomberg News, citing multiple sources reported that Rice had requested the intelligence information that was produced in a highly organized operation. Fox said the unmasked names of Trump aides were given to officials at the National Security Council (NSC), the Department of Defense, James Clapper, President Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, and John Brennan, Obama’s CIA Director. Joining Rice in the alleged White House operations was her deputy Ben Rhodes, according to Fox.

Critics of the atmosphere prevailing throughout the Obama administration’s last year in office point to former Obama Deputy Defense Secretary Evelyn Farkas who admitted in a March 2 television interview on MSNBC that she “was urging my former colleagues,” to “get as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration.”

Farkas sought to walk back her comments in the weeks following: “I didn’t give anybody anything except advice.”

Col. (Ret.) James Waurishuk, an NSC veteran and former deputy director for intelligence at the U.S. Central Command, told TheDCNF that many hands had to be involved throughout the Obama administration to launch such a political spying program.

“The surveillance initially is the responsibility of the National Security Agency,” Waurishuk said. “They have to abide by this guidance when one of the other agencies says, ‘we’re looking at this particular person which we would like to unmask.’”

“The lawyers and counsel at the NSA surely would be talking to the lawyers and members of counsel at CIA, or at the National Security Council or at the Director of National Intelligence or at the FBI,” he said. “It’s unbelievable of the level and degree of the administration to look for information on Donald Trump and his associates, his campaign team and his transition team. This is really, really serious stuff.”

Michael Doran, former NSC senior director, told TheDCNF Monday that “somebody blew a hole in the wall between national security secrets and partisan politics.” This “was a stream of information that was supposed to be hermetically sealed from politics and the Obama administration found a way to blow a hole in that wall,” he said.

Doran charged that potential serious crimes were undertaken because “this is a leaking of signal intelligence.”

“That’s a felony,” he told TheDCNF. “And you can get 10 years for that. It is a tremendous abuse of the system. We’re not supposed to be monitoring American citizens. Bigger than the crime, is the breach of public trust.”

Waurishuk said he was most dismayed that “this is now using national intelligence assets and capabilities to spy on the elected, yet-to-be-seated president.”

“We’re looking at a potential constitutional crisis from the standpoint that we used an extremely strong capability that’s supposed to be used to safeguard and protect the country,” he said. “And we used it for political purposes by a sitting president. That takes on a new precedent.”

The Democrats Lies of Ties Between Russia and Trump Continue to Unravel

Reported By Warner Todd Huston | April 3, 2017

URL of the original posting site: http://constitution.com/democrats-lies-ties-russia-trump-continue-unravel/

Trump Putin Russia

Since before Donald Trump won last year’s presidential election, Democrats have been desperately trying to fool the American people into thinking that Trump somehow worked hand-in-hand with the Russians to steal away the White House from Hillary Clinton. But thus far, after months of pseudo investigations, not a scintilla of proof has been revealed. And this weekend, Democrat Adam Schiff once again showed that Democrats have nothing but lies and innuendo against Trump.

The California Democrat has been at the forefront of attempting to fool America into thinking Trump is all mixed up with Vladimir Putin’s corrupt Russian government. Over last weekend, Schiff appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with host Jake Tapper to continue pushing his false claims against the president. But when Tapper asked Schiff about actual proof, the congressman’s reply was telling for its evasiveness and lack of specificity.

When Tapper asked Schiff to get more specific during the April 2 broadcast, Schiff mumbled that he “can’t say” if the evidence against any ties to Russia are correct. He also softened his previous criticism of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R, CA) for having visited the White House before he made his revelations that the Obama administration had, indeed, been surveilling Trump and his campaign before the election. Schiff dissembled further by backing off his previous claim that evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia was “more than circumstantial.”

It other words, Schiff pretty much proved that all the charges he has been spreading around for the last few weeks are all just political bomb throwing meant to hurt Trump but are based on no proof whatsoever. Rep. Schiff has emerged as the Democrats’ chief attack dog in the House of Representatives — because everyone dismisses Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as a loon — since Nunes made his proclamations about the proof of Obama’s surveillance of Trump.

One of Schiff’s main charges is that Nunes seemed to be coordinating with Trump because Nunes had visited the White House to look at secret intel the same day he announced what he had seen about Obama’s surveillance. Nunes and the Democrats called this visit to the White House “suspicious.”

But as the Democrats tried to make something out of Nunes’ visit to the White House grounds, the facts tell a different story. Nunes himself appeared on Fox News and noted that he often goes to the Executive Branch to view secret material and meet sources for his role as head of the Intel Committee.

“We go to the executive branch at least once or twice a week,” Nunes told Bill O’Reilly last week. “This is not unusual, because there are intelligence products that we don’t have access to in the House of Representatives, although we do have the clearances to see them.

Nunes also noted that he knew of the Obama administration’s surveillance of Trump even before last month’s revelations.

“So, we’ve known about this long before Trump actually sent his famous tweet out about the ‘wiretapping’ at Trump Tower,” Nunes added. “We’ve known that there was additional unmasking of Americans’ names. We’ve had sources that have provided that information. And so, what I had to do was that I needed a place that I could actually go and find this information and review it.”

For his part, Rep. Schiff was asked about this “unmasking” claim and once again he backed off his earlier harsh criticism saying he “can’t say whether anything was masked or unmasked properly.” Schiff said he disagreed with Nunes’ “characterization” of the evidence, but refused to go so far as to say Nunes was flat out wrong… despite he has essentially been saying Nunes is wrong for over a week.

Jake Tapper went on to press Schiff on whether or not there was evidence of “collusion” between Trump and Putin and Schiff backed off his past claims here, too, replying, “I don’t think we can say anything definitively at this point.” Schiff’s complete failure to back up his and his Party’s claims is telling. It seems to add more support to claims by two Obama officials that there is absolutely no evidence of Trump ties to Russia and Trump’s own claims that he and his campaign were the victims of illegal surveillance visited upon him by Obama.

Despite this complete lack of any evidence… and I mean there’s no evidence at all… the left is continuing to push the fiction that Trump is all tied up with Russia. Indeed, after Nunes revealed what he has seen as head of the Intel Committee, Democrats floated a talking point that Nunes should “recuse himself” from the investigation. Once again, this shows that Democrats are acting in a nakedly partisan political manner because there is no such thing as “recusing” oneself in a congressional committee. After this ridiculous call for Nunes’ recusal began making the rounds among Democrats, the California congressman laughed it off askingwhy would I?

“Why would I?” Nunes told the media when they asked him about the Democrats’ demands. “Because someone asks? That sounds like their problem.”

Indeed, Nunes is 100 percent right. It IS “their problem.” Because the House Intel Committee is a political entity, not a legal or court-related one. There is no reason nor any conventions for anyone to “recuse” themselves from a political committee. Only judges, police officers, or lawyers have to recuse themselves from investigations to which they have intimate ties of a personal or political nature. This is because justice needs to be impartial. But politics does not. There is no requirement of recusal in politics. Sure, congressman can recuse themselves if they like. But there is no legal requirement to do so.

But the whole campaign against Trump launched by the Democrats has nothing to do with facts, truth, or what is good for America. It is all just a naked, partisan attempt to undermine Trump.

As Daily Caller recent noted, a former clinical psychologist is pointing out that Democrats are practicing the politics of destruction, not the politics of persuasion and debate. Psychologist Tim Daughtry, told the DC that Democrats are working to destroy the U.S. in a gross attempt to steal power.

The rise of vilification campaigns, as taught by Saul Alinsky, is reducing our civility as Democrats try to destroy, not debate, those who disagree with them, Daughtry explains.

Gaslighting is on display as arguments like the “Russians hacked the election” or “Putin is controlling President Trump” attempt to manipulate public opinion. Reality dislocation techniques can erode Trump’s approval ratings so as to slow the bold Trump mandates.

As always, truth and facts do not matter to Democrats. Only power does.

In the end, I feel quite comfortable predicting that there will never be any proof tying Donald Trump to the Russians. After all, Obama launched an illicit surveillance campaign against Trump way back in October, if not before, and his FBI, NSA, and CIA were sneaking around trying to catch Trump with a gotcha since then — and it continues still today with all the Obama quislings still in our government — and thus far there is no proof. Nothing, zero, zip, nada.

With the entirety of Obama’s police state trying to prove Trump is a Russian operative and with the subsequent complete failure to come up with even any circumstantial proof, one can’t come to any other conclusion than that this whole thing is just a mean spirited whisper campaign aimed at delegitimizing Trump in the eyes of the voters as opposed to a serious investigation looking for truth.

Report: Obama Admin Blocked FBI Director’s Offer To Reveal Russian Meddling

Reported by Photo of Chuck Ross Chuck Ross | Reporter | 9:32 PM 03/29/2017

URL of the original posting site:  http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/29/report-obama-admin-blocked-fbi-directors-offer-to-reveal-russian-meddling/#ixzz4cqMF4bv0

FBI Director James Comey planned to write an op-ed early last summer making the case that Russia was meddling in the U.S. election, but other top Obama administration officials vetoed the idea. That’s according to a report from Newsweek magazine.

“The White House shut it down,” one source told the magazine of Comey’s op-ed offer. “They did their usual — nothing.”

The revelation, if accurate, would appear to suggest that the Obama administration did not take Russia’s meddling in the presidential campaign as seriously as many Democrats would have liked. Comey, who took over the FBI in 2013, proposed the op-ed during a meeting in June or July in the situation room of the White House in which Sec. of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, National Security Advisor Susan Rice and Sec. of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson were also present, according to Newsweek.

“He had a draft of it or an outline. He held up a piece of paper in a meeting and said, ‘I want to go forward, what do people think of this?’” a source with knowledge of the meeting told Newsweek of Comey.

According to Newsweek’s source, Comey’s op-ed would have laid out some of the evidence showing that the Kremlin was attempting to influence the presidential election. The Obama administration would not make a similar public accusation until Oct. 7, when the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security alleged that Russia was involved in cyber attacks against Democrats.

The piece, which likely would have been placed at an outlet like The New York Times, would not have revealed anything about an investigation into possible ties between the Russian government and Trump campaign. Comey said earlier this month that the FBI opened that probe in early July.

The other Obama administration officials opposed the idea, Newsweek reports, because they preferred a more coordinated message.

“An op-ed doesn’t have the same stature, it comes from one person,” Newsweek’s source said.

Democrats have blamed the Obama administration for failing to address Russian meddling early enough in the campaign cycle. Comey has been one of the biggest targets for criticism, largely because of his public involvement in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

A federal judge in Virginia ruled Friday against blocking President Trump’s executive order that called for temporarily stopping the entry of immigrants from six majority-Muslim nations and refugee admittance overall. The decision against the injunction comes after federal judges in Maryland and Hawaii blocked the implementation of Trump’s executive order nationwide. The ruling in Maryland is set to be heard before an appeals court in May. These two past decisions keep the order at bay.

Judge Anthony Trenga of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia found that Trump was within his legal rights to impose the travel ban and that it was not discriminatory toward Muslims. The injunction had been brought forward by Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour, who was represented by an attorney from the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Trenga, a George W. Bush appointee, wrote in his opinion that “the President has unqualified authority to bar physical entry to the United States at the border.” He said that the executive order makes no mention of religion and has a “state secular purpose” of protecting U.S. citizens from terrorist attacks.

The Hawaiian federal judge who knocked down the executive order cited past statements from Trump on the campaign trail talking about a “Muslim ban.” Judge Trenga, however, wrote, “In that regard, the Supreme Court has held that ‘past actions [do not] forever taint any effort on [the government’s] part to deal with the subject matter.’”

A Department of Justice spokeswoman said in a statement, “The Department of Justice is pleased with the ruling. As the Court correctly explains, the President’s Executive Order falls well within his authority to safeguard the nation’s security.”

The Associated Press reported that Sarsour’s attorney is expected to appeal the ruling.

Trump Says He Found Out He Was Being ‘Wiretapped’ After Reading New York Times Article

Donald Trump alleged that Barack Obama wiretapped him after he read an article published by The New York Times in January. That’s what the president said when Tucker Carlson asked him during an interview on Fox News Wednesday night what his reasons were for believing the Obama administration surveilled him during the presidential election.

“I’ve been reading about things,” Trump said. “I read in January a New York Times article. I think they used the exact term ‘wiretapping.’ I read other things. I watched your friend Bret Baier where he was talking about certain, very complex sets of things happening. I said, ‘Wait a minute, there is a lot of wiretapping happening.’”

Carlson asked why Trump didn’t go straight to the intelligence agencies for evidence that he was surveilled by the Obama administration then.

“I don’t want to do anything that’s going to violate any strength of an agency,” Trump said. “We have enough problems. But, we will be submitting certain things and I will perhaps speak about this next week.”

“Don’t you devalue your words when you can’t provide evidence?” Carlson asked.

“Well, The New York Times wrote about it — not that I respect The New York Times. I call it the ‘Failing New York Times.’ But I think that, frankly, we have a lot right now. If you watched Bret Baier and what he was saying, you would feel very confident. I think you will see some interesting things going to the forefront over the next few weeks.”

“And don’t forget, when I say wiretapping, those words were in quotes. That really covers, because wiretapping is pretty old fashioned stuff. But that really covers surveillance and many other things. And nobody ever talks about the fact that it was in quotes.”

Trump Makes Bombshell Announcement Won’t Fill Some Unfilled Gov’t Positions

President Donald Trump has been taking heat for not filling hundreds of appointed federal government jobs, but he recently revealed the true reason why he hasn’t done so — a reason conservatives will love.

In an interview with Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” that aired this week, Trump explained that his administration’s seemingly lack of political appointees has been an effort to shrink the size of the federal government.

“When I see a story about ‘Donald Trump didn’t fill hundreds and hundreds of jobs,’ it’s because, in many cases, we don’t want to fill those jobs,” he said.

When pressed on the fact that he has 600 empty positions, Trump doubled down on his reasoning behind the situation.

“A lot of those jobs, I don’t want to appoint, because they’re unnecessary to have,” the president explained. “You know, we have so many people in government, even me. I look at some of the jobs and it’s people over people over people. I say, ‘What do all these people do?’ You don’t need all those jobs.”

He’s right. In fact, there are more than 4,000 roles for political appointees throughout government, according to the Center for Presidential Transition.

“Many of those jobs I don’t want to fill,” Trump said. “I say, isn’t that a good thing? That’s not a bad thing. That’s a good thing. We’re running a very good, efficient government.”

Watch Trump’s comments here:

Some positions in the federal government have been needed to ensure that things run smoothly, but the problem is that, even with thousands of people, things haven’t been running smoothly (see: Social Security, the Department of Veteran Affairs and the State Department — just to name a few.) Democrats might not be able to grasp the concept of leaving a government job unfilled, even if it’s not necessary. But a businessman has no problem with the idea at all.

Last Minute Obama Order Evidence of Undermining Trump?

Reported By Onan Coca March 9, 2017

Was a last minute (final week) change in government policy instituted by President Obama meant as a measure to undermine the Trump administration?

That’s the question being asked in the Daily Caller today, after a story in Circa made major headlines early Thursday morning. U.S. officials, who spoke with Circa on the condition that they remain anonymous, explained that a rule change made by the Obama administration just 8 days before leaving office has led to the havoc that we are currently seeing in the intelligence community.

From the Daily Caller:

Obama changed the way National Security Agency intelligence is shared 8 days before leaving office, which allows globally intercepted communications to be disseminated across the entire intelligence community.

The change was part of a post-9/11 push by the executive branch to increase intelligence sharing, to ensure that NSA analysts do not miss critically important information. The change is “simply widening the aperture for a larger number of analysts, who will be bound by the existing rules,” the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said at the time.

Obama administration officials also scrambled to spread classified intelligence related to Russian meddling in the 2016 election to as many people within the U.S. government as possible. These officials said they spread the intelligence around to ensure Trump administration officials would not be able to quash the investigation. The officials also fought to keep the related intelligence at a low-classified level, giving more officers access to the raw information.

However as the officials made clear to Circa the people who now have the classified information in their hands don’t actually understand what it is they are reading, seeing, or even saying!

“We have people spouting off who don’t know the difference between FISA surveillance and a wiretap or a counterintelligence probe versus a special prosecutor, and it has hurts our ability to get to the truth and has wrongly created the impression that intelligence officials have a political agenda,” said one source directly familiar with the drama.

The information collected really has nothing to do with Trump or his team, it’s all about Russia, but because of the Obama administration’s meddling, the entire story has become convoluted and the media’s distortion is only making matters worse. While the FBI did briefly monitor one of President Trump’s servers, they found nothing illegal and they most certain did not intercept any emails or phone calls from the Trump team.

Sadly, because of the mess that the Obama team has created the intelligence community will now have a far more difficult time simply doing their job.

Many of the leaks have surfaced since former President Barack Obama in his waning days in office had his intelligence leadership brief a wider than normal audience about the sensitive Russia surveillance. Those leaks have created a false narrative that the FBI has been predominantly focused on Trump ties to Russia, officials said.

In fact, any FBI activity involving the president’s associates or advisers was mostly ancillary to a wider counterintelligence probe into Russian efforts to influence the election or curry favor with U.S. figures, the sources said.

“The (Trump-Russia) narrative in the media hasn’t been our primary focus and mostly involves pieces of information that came in incidentally. We check them out and we move on,” one official said, adding most of the work has involved old-fashioned investigative tactics and not surveillance.

Added another official: “I’ve never seen a case so misrepresented and leaks so damaging to a process that was meant to be conducted in secret so that foreign powers don’t know what we know and people’s reputations aren’t tarnished unfairly.”

When will the media divert their attention from President Trump, who has neither caused nor exacerbated these problems, and look to the real epicenter of our troubles –  Barack Obama? All roads lead back to the FORMER President when it comes to the ongoing chaos surrounding Russia, the election, and the intelligence community.
