Former NYC Top Cop Kerik Blasts Officials Using COVID as Excuse To Take Americans’ Freedoms

A teen being given a citation for merely driving in her car. Hiking trails closed. Church congregants for Easter services having their license plate numbers taken down by the police so that they can be told to be in quarantine for 14 days no matter what kind of social distancing was being practiced. That’s where we are now, and former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik isn’t particularly happy about it.

In a tweet Thursday, Kerik blasted officials who are using the coronavirus outbreak as a pretext to clamp down on freedoms that wouldn’t necessarily affect the spread of the virus.

“Yesterday, governors/mayors shut down walking trails,” Kerik tweeted.

”Some police have been ordered to arrest people for walking outside their homes. The government is considering a #coronavirus surveillance system.

“WTF! Americans better start paying attention and getting vocal! #Constitution.”

He went on to criticize New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, for his decision to stop construction projects.

“Today @GovMurphy stopped all non-essential construction,” he tweeted.

“Construction is a profession in which many will not be able to receive government assistance.

“Instead of mandating by order that they wear protective equipment and follow CDC directives, this will destroy them/families.”

Murphy had announced the halt to construction the day before Kerik’s tweet.

“We must continue to work together to flatten the curve of new COVID-19 cases in New Jersey,” Murphy said in a statement.

“By ceasing all non-essential construction projects and imposing additional mitigation requirements on essential businesses, we are furthering our aggressive efforts to enforce social distancing and limiting our public interactions to only the most essential in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”

In the executive order, Murphy also limited the number of customers who could be in an essential retail outlet at any given point in time and required those outlets to mark 6-foot increments on the floor in order to indicate how to socially distance, among many, many other things.

Park systems, meanwhile, have been shutting down across the country.

Here’s part of Oregon’s explication for closing its state park system late last month: “A single person walking on a trail is fine. There are a few million people in the west who are thinking the same thing, and then next thing you know, people are parking alongside roads to get into a park. That’s bad for you, it harms other people, and it puts stress on local groceries and health care systems.

It’s not just the hiking trails that have been shut down. The status of churches varies from state to state, with some listing them as an essential service and others shutting them entirely. Kentucky is one of the states in the latter category — and it managed to make a show of it this weekend when police took down the license plate numbers of the 50 people worshipping in the Maryville Baptist Church and put quarantine notices on their car, according to USA Today.

Newly elected Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, has engaged in a high-profile battle with a handful of churches that are still holding in-person services. In a move that absolutely won’t escalate the situation, state police threatened “further enforcement measures” for individuals receiving the quarantine notices if they decide not to quarantine.

At least there was some good news in this department last Wednesday, though: A 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman who was cited for “going for a drive”will have the ticket dropped, according to the York Dispatch. Anita Shaffer became one of the most prominent victims of over-officiousness in the time of coronavirus when Pennsylvania State Police hit her with a $200 ticket because she needed to get out of the house. She was the first person ticketed under Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s stay-at-home order. A few days later, officialdom decided it was probably best not to pursue the case.

Beside the fact that the troopers cited her under the wrong statute, York County District Attorney Dave Sunday felt that ticketing Shaffer didn’t serve “the interests of justice.”

“Ironically, if Ms. Shaffer had lied to the [trooper] and stated that she was driving to obtain food, medicine, or to a path to engage in outside exercise, Ms. Shaffer could not have received a citation for violating the stay at home order because no facts would exist to support its issuance,” Sunday wrote in his request to have the charges dropped. A district court judge granted the request.

I suppose kudos are in order to Mr. Sunday, a man who can probably figure out how to be six feet away from someone on a hiking trail. Alas, we live in a time when the government can’t trust us to hike or shop or drive correctly.

Mind you, this isn’t to say that all of this is smart.

No matter how much social distancing you practice and how much closer you feel to God when you go to church, you’re significantly better off if you decide to just go online. That said, the freedom of assembly and the freedom of religion are both enshrined under the First Amendment, so I wish Kentucky good luck defending that quarantine in court.

Kerik, by the way, isn’t exactly a wild-eyed libertarian. This was the top cop in New York City under Rudy Giuliani and during 9/11. That’s not the kind of resume that leads one to flights of anarchist fancy. He’s bringing up a very real concern that our rights have taken a backseat to trying to beat this disease. In some respects, that’s understandable. However, we’re about to be met with very sticky constitutional issues, including contact tracing and coronavirus “passports” to prove someone has antibodies and can re-enter society.

If the Constitution takes a backseat here, there’s the inevitable slippery slope: It can take a backseat anywhere. The fear is understandable, but fear cannot be allowed to set our rights afire.

The coronavirus pandemic should remind all Americans how fortunate we are that we don’t live in a socialist country.

Most of my family fled to the United States from socialist Cuba; not all of them made it out alive, and some of them are still there. Growing up in California, I heard countless stories from my mom and grandparents of the government oppression that my relatives faced in their daily lives.

This shock you feel should serve as a reminder that we’re all united by our great fortune to live in the most free country ever to exist. There is no better time to reflect on and appreciate our freedom as we get a small glimpse into what others living under communism and socialism experience every day.

Counterintuitively, the sight of bare shelves in grocery stores across the country also underscores the superiority of our capitalist system. Americans are shocked by the fact that it has become difficult to obtain certain staples such as toilet paper, but for citizens living under socialist regimes, severe shortages are simply a fact of life — and they don’t even have the option of settling for lasagna instead of spaghetti, because the shortages they endure day in and day out are far more widespread than anything Americans have encountered in recent weeks.

Rationing is common in Cuba for this very reason. The government limits the amount of food and supplies each Cuban is allowed to buy, and enforces those limits brutally.

When my mom’s cousin was dying of cancer in Cuba, the government wouldn’t provide sheets or food for her feeding tube. Our family in Cuba had to scour the black market to get her the appropriate food to be able to feed her through a tube during her last days. This was after the Cuban government missed her brain cancer diagnosis for years due to broken machines and poorly educated doctors. It was only discovered when she had months left to live.

When you hear that “health care is a right,” this is an example of what the health care Cubans have a “right” to looks like.

Innocent Cubans have been killed and jailed over violating rationing rules and for speaking out about their hunger. We don’t have to worry about that here in the United States. The closest thing to rationing that we’ll ever experience are reasonable per-customer limits on high-demand products put in place by the stores themselves.

President Trump may have encouraged Americans to scale back their hoarding of toilet paper, but there’s no way he would ever restrict how much we can buy, because he knows that the free market will restock those shelves far faster than any draconian government intervention could possibly manage.

Since long before the coronavirus crisis, I have been concerned that too many Americans have accepted a whitewashed history of socialism that glosses over the widespread brutality and hardship that characterize socialist governments. It’s no secret that our education system is dominated by the ideological political left, who have made strides in normalizing socialism as a Norwegian fairytale, ignoring the fact Norway is not a socialist country. I’ve seen American teachers with my own two eyes proud to prominently display a celebratory image of Marxist murderer Che Guevara in their classrooms — a distressing sight for those who actually know the brutality of his actions.

It seems that some Americans are so accustomed to freedom that we can’t even imagine the privation and fear that families like mine endured under socialism. It’s easy to think socialism is the answer when the words sound pretty, but when faced with the ugly reality it becomes too late to turn back. Once these ideologies take root in a country, the rot rapidly infects every crevice of the government and suddenly the citizens have no freedom to lawfully change it.

It’s no surprise that Cuban and Venezuelan immigrants living in the United States are overwhelmingly conservative and pro-capitalist. We see the empty shelves in the meat, dairy or toiletry sections at the grocery store caused by this pandemic and are reminded that in our home countries, the everyday reality is much worse.

For people like my mom, it evokes memories of having her last possession, a doll, destroyed and stolen from her by a Cuban government official. That was the one item she was allowed to flee with, but an overwhelming need for control drove the official to make sure my mom wasn’t hiding money inside of the doll.

Similarly, we were bewildered when Democrats praise the government-run health care system in Cuba — the same type of system that is failing so spectacularly to cope with coronavirus outbreaks in countries such as Italy.

When my grandpa visits our family still stuck in Cuba, we all rally together to fill suitcases full of medicine, female hygiene products and other basic health necessities because we know those things aren’t available in a socialist country. Unfortunately, the coronavirus is exposing the deficiencies of socialized medicine in a much more serious way — ventilators aren’t nearly as easy to fit in a suitcase.

As state and local governments across the U.S. ask citizens and business owners to make sacrifices in order to stop the spread of a deadly virus, I’m reminded of my time traveling in China with the recording artist Akon, where our guide was required to obtain special government permits just to enter certain parts of the country. Curfews, internet firewalls, bans of social media like Twitter and shutdowns are a regular part of life in China — and violating them brings severe consequences. Freedom of speech does not exist in China; people live in fear of vocalizing their thoughts. When I’d ask a hard question about living under communism, their eyes told me what they could not vocalize due to their fear of being monitored. Even Chinese citizens are restricted from entering certain districts, based on their status. As an American, that was strange to watch; it felt like we had been transported into the Hunger Games universe. It served as a stark reminder that we have such remarkable freedoms and opportunities in America that we often don’t even realize just how good we have it.

The parallels between our temporary “coronapocalypse” and everyday life under socialism should make us wary of those who try to present socialism as some kind of panacea. It should also make us grateful to have a president who knew communist China wasn’t being honest with us about the severity of the virus that originated there. President Trump’s instincts about communist China led to flights from China being shut down in January, despite the protests of xenophobia from Democrats, a decision we now know saved countless lives.

Most of all these parallels should make us grateful that we have a president committed to ensuring that the United States of America never becomes a socialist country. As I reflect on the difficulty my relatives stuck in Cuba face every day, I’m more grateful than ever to be an American.

CNN Finds Bright Side to Tens of Thousands of COVID Deaths: The Air Is Cleaner

As governments race to contain the spread of COVID-19, and citizens across the world deal with the health, financial and emotional tolls of the disease, CNN has found the silver lining: Cleaner air! The network’s early Saturday morning B-team went up to bat this past weekend as people slept and airports, which always seem to air CNN’s coverage, were ghost towns. Still, for anyone who might have been watching, the network paraded widespread, draconian lockdowns as an efficacious solution to climate change.

While you’d be hard-pressed to find a sane individual who is content with the current state of life on the planet, CNN gleefully used the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic to suggest social and economic reforms in order to deal with climate change.

CNN early morning anchor Natalie Allen welcomed meteorologist Derek Van Dam during a segment in the 5 a.m. block of the network’s Saturday coverage, according to the Media Research Center. Both Allen and Van Dam were a bit too cheerful in reporting that some folks in India can see the Himalayan mountain range from 100 miles away, due to the absence of smog with the country shut down.

“[India] has been under lockdown for more than two weeks, and that has dramatically improved the air quality and visibility,” Allen said.

Allen and Van Dam, who was reporting from his basement, didn’t stop at marveling at this phenomenon.

Speaking to Van Dam, Allen added, “This is often a topic we talk about here at CNN, and, finally, you know, this is a bright spot in this era of pandemic, like, bring on the electric cars and, you know, climate — solving climate change isn’t that hard.”

“Preaching to the choir right there, Natalie,” Van Dam replied. “You know, I like to consider myself an optimist, and I think you could probably relate to this — just on my daily run today across midtown Atlanta, where we live, the skies have never been this blue, in my opinion.”

“There’s virtually no car traffic, no airline traffic taking place out of Atlanta’s Hartsfield International Airport — of course a few planes, but virtually nothing compared to what it would normally be on any given day. And, yeah, there’s just less air pollution,” the meteorologist concluded.

Van Dam then essentially asked Allen to picture a world where people are forced to live under permanent government control in order to save the planet from climate change.

“Can you imagine if our response to the climate crisis equaled that of the robust nature of the COVID-19 response? Where would we be, Natalie?” he asked.

“I know. That’s a very good question that we all should ponder. And I’m with you,” Allen responded. “I’ve been marveling at the blue sky in Atlanta. It’s just been magnificent.”

It’s probably safe to assume most people would take a hard pass at living life in its current state on a permanent basis. But when you look at the economic toll of the coronavirus, it is essentially what Democrats have pushed for when discussing Green New Deal legislation. Various models of the outrageously expensive environmental plan would essentially force people to use public transportation and do away with most commercial air travel. A Green New Deal would equate to food shortages, large-scale rationing, limited travel and a government takeover of the majority of the economy, as regulations would slowly strong-arm working people into becoming wards of the state.

If anything, CNN has made a strong case against sweeping climate change measures, because we’re essentially living under them already — and they’re no fun. It’s great that a few people in India got a chance to see the Himalayas for a while.

Hopefully, sooner rather than later, those people are going to have to move a bit closer if they want that same view.

Unlike CNN’s climate activists, Americans are ready to fire up the economic engine that has made this country so unique, because we want our lives back.

GEORGIA DEMOCRATIC LAWMAKER ENDORSES TRUMP’S PRESIDENTIAL BID

State Rep. Vernon Jones bucked his party Tuesday and endorsed President Donald Trump and in doing so became the first Democrat in the state to endorse the president for reelection. He also became a pariah in his own party. Jones cited the economy that worked well fort the Black community before the Chinese virus hit the states. He also said that Trump’s massive support for traditionally Black colleges and his prison reform as reasons why he made the endorsement.

Fellow Georgia lawmakers have been endorsing his primary opponent since he made the announcement. Many of them cited the fact that Trump is a racist. But, here’s what I find amusing. The racist fought for and got all of these beneficial policies for the Black community while the “woke” Democrats sat on their hind ends and did nothing.

Jones said:

“It’s very simple to me. President Trump’s handling of the economy, his support for historically black colleges and his criminal justice initiatives drew me to endorse his campaign.”

“There are a lot of African Americans who clearly see and appreciate he’s doing something that’s never been done before. When you look at the unemployment rates among black Americans before the pandemic, they were at historic lows. That’s just a fact.”

State Democratic officials tried Tuesday to disown Jones, a former chief executive of DeKalb County, Georgia’s biggest Democratic stronghold. State Sen. Nikema Williams, the chairwoman of the state party, called him an “embarrassment” who doesn’t reflect Georgia values.

“Never has that been clearer than this moment, when he chose to stand with the racist president who has made an all-out assault on black Americans, who has tried to rip away American health care and who has failed our country in its greatest time of need,” she said.

In a conference call with the AJC, the Georgia House’s three top Democratic leaders backed Rhonda Taylor, a community activist who is challenging Jones in the June primary. House Minority Leader Bob Trammell said he is sending her a check immediately.

“We’re not sure what was on Vernon’s mind. It’s antithetical to what we believe in,” said state Rep. James Beverly, D-Macon, the chairman of the party’s House caucus. “We can’t support an ideology that’s diametrically opposed to who we are and what we value.”

And there it is. The key to understanding, and revealing the motivations of the Leftist. “Our values”, “not who we are”, “not our values that we hold dear.”

Yet, no none every asked what those “values” are, or just stop and inventory their actions, words and draconian laws.

“Leftist Values”:

Leftist Government IS THE answer for everything.
Power belongs to the Leftist government.
The only rights are the ones the Leftist government gives you, and are subject to change at any time.
Leftist Government owns all the money. It gives you what the Leftist government thinks you need.
Life and death are in the hands of the Leftist government. The unborn are not worth life. The murderous criminal is worthy of life.
Leftist Free speech is ONLY speech the Leftist government approves. All else will be severely punished until they are shammed out of society.
“Bipartisan” means agreeing 100% with everything The Leftist wants, and how they want it.
Propaganda is the eyes of The Leftist mindset. All else is forbidden.
One party rule. The Leftist Party. They allow opposing political parties as long as they are always in the minority like California.
Any law means what The Leftist party says it means and subject to change whenever it suits them or serves their purpose.
Voting laws are subject to interpretation by The Leftist ONLY. All voting is legal as long as The Leftist Party remains in extreme control.
There is no crisis, problems, pandemics, science etc., unless The Leftist say so. It’s always their political opponents fault whenever anything goes wrong.
The Leftist Party is never responsible for anything that breaks, fails, falls apart, does not turn out as promised, becomes uncontrollable or brings destruction.

I’m getting sick to my stomach going on. Until we, who are not controlled by The Leftist Cabal, shout it loud and long and unmask this monster our country will continue to go their way. This is more important today then ever as we come out of the tyranny of theses draconian measure to keep us under house arrest. We’re suppose to be Americans. Unless we start acting like it and take a firm, sustained stand for our freedoms, then we will lose every one of them.

My Own Two Cents April 14 2020

I usually dislike people that say, “I told you so” because I already know their correct and I made a bad choice to do something else, or accept something else. Try as I might, I hold back doing the same. Please forgive me, but at this point I can’t hold back.

Going all the way back to the beginning of the Obama administration, I have been sounding the alarm that his “executive orders” had NO WEIGHT OF LAW. An executive order is nothing more than the executive writing a memo saying how they want certain established policies executed. NOTHING MORE.

So many of President Obama’s executive orders were carried out as if they were law. That included all the orders he wrote concerning illegal aliens, especially the children. NO LAW TO ENFORCE. NO WEIGHT OF LAW TO ENFORCE. Any new President can simply wipe them all away with a pen stroke.

As these governors and mayors began issuing their “orders”, I told everyone they had no weight of law. They are no different than the “executive orders” of a president. Instructions, desires, NOTHING MORE. I’ve implored all those around me not to take such “orders” as anything more than what any mayor or governor gives to their populace when a storm is about to hit and they “order” people to evacuate. The ones choosing not to are NOT law breakers. Stupid yes. Not law breakers.

Since Sunday, Constitutional experts have been asked about these “orders”, especially as they relate to ordering people they can’t go to Church, and those who have already been arrested or ticketed. 100% I’ve read, or heard so far has agreed. NO WEIGHT OF LAW. No governor’s or mayor’s “orders” can ever supersede the Constitution. NONE.

Just before Resurrection Sunday (Easter), I had a conversation with my pastor outside my home. He was here dropping off Communion elements for Good Friday Services via YOUTUBE. After sharing with him what I just explained above, he said he didn’t want to “chance” it that I was wrong.

I went on to explain that when political types are given a little power, they develop a thirst for more. Some develop a craving for absolute power (absolute power corrupts absolutely). I explained that I was very suspicious of Mayor Garcetti (Los Angeles) and Governor Newsome (California) (both extreme liberals) because I could see them using this COVID-19 virus as excuses to withhold our Constitutional liberties. Why? Because history has proved that whenever you give leftist politicians power, they never want to give it up.

Fear has always been the tactic of tyrants to control their populace. Painting a desperate situation about this virus, they convinced Americans to “self-quarantine”. Now, some majors and governors have converted that into “house arrest” with threats of ticketing and arrest. Our Civil Rights have been trampled upon and it will take courts to release them. This is NOT what our founders had in mind.

Yes, this virus has been awful. Yes, where it wasn’t handled correctly, more people died than otherwise. Did our governments overreact? Yes. How much will be determined after many investigations, especially all the “padded” deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Once again, we find ourselves in a historical moment of having to fight for our rights all over again. I’ve been warning of a “civil war” I can see on the near horizon. I hope this time I can’t say, “I told you so”.

VIDEO: California’s Coronavirus Problem No One Is Talking About

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has been on the “cutting edge” of local leaders who have implemented strict shutdowns in the name of fighting the coronavirus and protecting the public. Politicians like Garcetti claim that they must coerce residents to remain in their homes for weeks, or months, on end in order to ease the burden on hospitals and healthcare workers.

But is it worth it when Garcetti is refusing to “lockdown” one of the most at risk populations in Los Angeles? While millions of Los Angeles residents shelter in place, the city’s nearly 36,000 homeless residents continue to wander the streets and go about their business.

Just a few days ago I took a drive down to Skid Row in Los Angeles, where nearly 50% of the area’s inhabitants are homeless — living in tents or on the street. Whereas the rest of Los Angeles is a ghost town, Skid Row looks like it’s any other normal day.

I was shocked to see that the city had not enforced any of their social distancing laws in the neighborhood. Tents were packed tightly together. Thousands of homeless individuals were drinking, socializing, and doing drugs on the sidewalk and in crowded parks. It looked as if the city was on lockdown … except for Skid Row.

Just last week, police officers in Malibu arrested a paddle boarder for violating the county’s ordinances that closed the beaches. It appears that in Los Angeles only taxpayers are on lockdown.

As irritating as it is to a taxpayer, the failure to enforce the law against the homeless is also a massive public health crisis. If there are so few ventilators as our politicians claim, the spread of COVID-19 in the homeless community would be a public health disaster for the city and the state. In fact, the state of California has over 150,000 people who are “experiencing homelessness,” according to the federal government.

You might be thinking, “I’m not homeless. I don’t interact with homeless people. This doesn’t matter to me.” But it does. In fact, a spread of COVID-19 within California’s homeless community could occupy thousands of ventilators. Homeless individuals in California are one of the most at-risk communities to contract serious complications with COVID-19.

According to the National Healthcare for the Homeless Council, homeless individuals have rates of underlying conditionsat nearly twice the rate of housed individuals in the United States. Diabetes, heart attacks, HIV, and pulmonary complications are all afflictions that greatly impact the homeless community and are disastrous when combined with COVID-19.

According to California Governor Gavin Newsom, over 60,000 homeless individuals in California could contractCOVID-19. Newsom also said California has access to only 4,252 ventilators. If the virus is truly as dangerous as our politicians have led us to believe, the math doesn’t add up and California could be in a very precarious position soon.

So when will Los Angeles act? Is it worth shutting down the city’s economy without making a concerted effort to move all homeless individuals off the streets?

Perhaps the city should focus their efforts on stopping a real major public health disaster from crippling our city instead of arresting paddle boarders and beachgoers.

FBI: SEIU Duped as 39 Million Masks ‘Found’ by Union Was Elaborate Fraud Scheme

The 39 million N95 masks the Service Employees International Union announced it had discovered turned out to be an elaborate scheme, according to the FBI.

In late March, the union rushed out a press release:

The union launched an exhaustive search for masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) five days ago in response to pleas from frontline healthcare workers that they need more protection and feel unsafe on the job as they treat the growing number of COVID-19 patients. SEIU-UHW has 97,000 members who work in hospitals across California.

Within 48 hours of painstakingly calling leads and potential suppliers, the union discovered a distributor who had the 39 million masks, and has since found another supplier who says his company can produce 20 million more masks a week. The union also has found a supplier who can deliver millions of face shields.

The union didn’t identify the alleged distributor.

Now, the FBI claims the union was “duped” in an elaborate scheme, the Los Angeles Times reported.

U.S. Atty. Scott Brady of the Western District of Pennsylvania said FBI agents and prosecutors stumbled onto the arrangement while looking into whether they could intercept the masks for the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Defense Production Act. …

Brady said investigators tracked the tip back to a Pittsburgh businessman, who said he had been working with the union to secure millions of masks, some of which were purported to be sitting in a Georgia warehouse. Brady said the businessman had been using WhatsApp to connect with a broker in Australia and a supplier in Kuwait, who are both now the target of a federal investigation.

Brady said the union and the Pittsburgh businessman, whom he declined to identify, appear to be among a string of middlemen who were fooled. The union and the Pittsburgh businessman are not under investigation, Brady said.

The paper reported union President Dave Regan said the organization had “successfully purchased the masks and that workers would soon be receiving them.”

In March, the union said the masks would be sold for $5 apiece.

According to U.S. Attorney Brady, the Pittsburgh businessman said he was buying the masks at $3.50. It’s not clear who intended to pocket the difference.

“As far as we knew, he had legitimate masks,” SEIU spokesman Steve Trossman said, the paper reported, “and the people who were going to purchase those masks were going to fully vet it and check it out and do their due diligence.”

“We believe we disrupted fraud,” Brady said.

OKLAHOMA HOSPITAL CLOSES, MEDICAL WORKERS LAID OFF DUE TO LACK OF PATIENTS

Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City closed down all operations except emergency, radiology, and ambulatory infusion after they were forced to close the rest of the hospital due to lack of patients. The numbers coming from WHO, the CDC and Dr Fauci have all been many multiples higher than they should have been.

In the case of Integris Baptist Hospital, their undoing was the cancelling of all elective surgeries on the assumption that the country did not have enough hospital beds to cover their needs. Even in New York, the epicenter of the disease, the numbers were many times what was needed. Andrew Cuomo said that New Yorkers would die because President Trump did not send him 30 thousand ventilators.

New York in fact needed less than the 4000 ventilators President Trump sent them. The same holds true in the number of beds needed. Much of that number can be explained by actions from our president. He fearlessly issued travel bans from countries with a high rate of corona virus. President in fact saved countless thousands of lives.

Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City closed down all operations except emergency, radiology, and ambulatory infusion. The hospital has experienced a 50% drop in revenues since procedures deemed nonessential by the government have been halted.

Oklahoma, like many states, has enacted a policy of temporarily banning nonessential medical procedures in an effort to preserve resources, especially personal protective equipment such as masks. In states without an overwhelming COVID-19 outbreak, some hospitals are seeing very little activity.

A spokeswoman for Integris said direct personal caregivers will be transferred to a larger hospital in the city, while non-direct patient care staff will be furloughed until the hospital reopens.

Furloughed workers won’t receive pay, although they will have access to benefits. They can be paid for the time they’re unable to work if they use their paid time off, and they will be allowed to use 80 more hours than they’ve actually accrued. Still, for many workers, that won’t go very far.

Briahna Joy Gray, who was the press chief for Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign before he bowed out after several disappointing primary appearances, believes that former Vice President Joe Biden will not last until November’s general election.

“Bernie was too kind to go after Biden, but it’s coming,” she wrote in a tweet responding to a clip of Fox News host Tucker Carlson questioning Biden’s mental fitness.

“Either Dem leadership cares more about maintaining a corporate status quo than getting rid of Trump, or they’re planning to replace Joe – adopting a pretty fast and loose relationship with representative Democracy. Lose lose,” she added.

Gray is echoing a theory that has been floated by Carlson himself. He does not think that Biden will last until November, and he is merely a placeholder to keep Sanders from taking the nomination.

“I sincerely and totally believe that Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee on election day,” Carlson said last month on his eponymous prime-time program.

“He shouldn’t be working still. I’m not being mean. I know him. I’ve always liked him. But that’s true. And so, those are two trains traveling toward each other at high speed. Two competing imperatives. We’ve got to win, but we’ve got a guy who can’t win. Therefore, they’re gonna replace him. If I had to bet I would think Andrew Cuomo would be the most likely to replace Biden,” he added.

“We have to take care of the cure. That will make the problem worse no matter what. No matter what. We know what has to be done,”Biden said, struggling to maintain coherency…

He was even less lucid during an appearance on MSNBC as host Nicole Wallace attempted to act like nothing was wrong with Biden completely losing his train of thought.

“I tell you what. I’m so darn proud of those poor people who, of, lost, anyway,”Biden said while moaning in an exacerbated manner.

Gray could be onto something. The Democrats may be preparing to discard Biden in a display of callous and grotesque elder abuse.

BREAKING: DOJ Declassifies 3 Footnotes From Horowitz’s Report Revealing FBI Assessed Steele Dossier Was ‘Russian Disinformation’ – Used it Anyway

CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge obtained an April 2 letter responding to Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley over four key footnotes in IG Horowitz’s report.

The Senators stated that the classified footnotes contradict what is publicly available in Horowitz’s report related to Crossfire Hurricane, the CI investigation opened into Trump’s campaign in July of 2016.

Grassley and Johnson wrote, “The American people have a right to know what is contained within these four footnotes and, without that knowledge, they will not have a full picture as to what happened during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”

The DOJ declassified 3 footnotes with minimal redactions and kept the fourth footnote completely blacked out citing, “unique and significant concerns. The redacted information refers to information received by a member of the Crossfire Hurricane team regarding possible previous attempts by a foreign government to penetrate and research a company or individuals associated with Christopher Steele,” Herridge reported.

One declassified footnote revealed Comey’s FBI knew the Hillary Clinton-funded dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele was bogus Russian disinformation — but they used it anyway to spy on Trump’s campaign.

“The (redacted) stated that it did not have high confidence in this subset of Steele’s reporting and ASSESSED that the referenced subset was part of a Russian disinformation campaign to denigrate US foreign relations” — Catherine Herridge said.

Attorney General Bill Barr told Fox News host Laura Ingraham there was ‘no basis’ for the FBI’s ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ investigation into then-candidate Donald Trump.

Barr said what happened to Trump was one of the greatest travesties in American history.

Even more alarming was the pattern of events after the campaign to sabotage Trump’s presidency.

As we reported yesterday, Chinese Doctor Shi Zhengli was part of a team that working on a coronavirus project jointly with US doctors in 2014 before it was shut down by the DHS for being too risky. Dr. Shi Zhengli then moved to Wuhan, China.

In addition, we’ve identified lab workers experimenting with live animals!

As we reported yesterday, Doctor Shi Zhengli worked with Doctor Ralph S. Baric, and together with others, they published an article in a 2015 edition of Nature Medicine. In the article they discussed bat coronaviruses that showed potential for human emergence. The article was published in 2015.

This report was published shortly after their project was defunded by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The HHS in 2014 sent a letter to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where they announced they were going to defund the program.

Dr. Ralph S. Baric was identified in the letter.

After the work stopped in the US, the Chinese moved forward with the project and ran research and development in Wuhan. From Shi Zhengli’s papers and resume, it is clear that they successfully isolated the virus in the lab and were actively experimenting with specie <-> specie transmission.

It’s also important to note that back in 2017 we had solid intelligence about a viral leak in a high security Chinese virology R&D center that resulted in the SARS virus getting out and killing people.

This information provides a basis that contradicts the theory that COVID-19 is a variant that just magically mutated in a bat in the wild and then jumped to a human when they ate a delicious bowl of bat soup.

From all of the published research papers that relate to this project going back to 2014, it’s clear that COVID-19 was already in a lab. It’s difficult to tell if the release was intentional or accidental.

Two days ago we noted that the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, Hubei Province in China was hiring individuals for an ecological study of bat migration and virus transmission in November of 2019.

Church members get $500 tickets for sitting in their vehicles with windows closed during radio service in church parking lot

The parking lot at Temple Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, was full Wednesday night for a service, the Delta Democrat-Times reported. That might sound odd considering churches around the country aren’t meeting in person due to the coronavirus social distancing guidelines — but this was a different kind of church service.

Temple Baptist members were staying in their vehicles with the windows rolled up to listen to Pastor Arthur Scott’s sermon on the radio, the paper said.

Lee Gordon — a 23-year member of the church as well as a representative for the Washington County Board of Supervisors — told the Democrat-Times the church has been using a low-power FM frequency to broadcast sermons in the parking lot for the last three weeks.

“The preacher is in the church at the pulpit, and we are streaming the service live as well,” Gordon added to the paper. “But a lot of our membership is elderly and [lacks access to streaming technology].”

Paying for it

Gordon told the Democrat-Times he and his wife were among those gathered in the church parking lot — and figured they all were abiding by the coronavirus social distancing guidelines given they were in their cars with the windows rolled up. But that wasn’t the case — and they paid for it. Gordon told the paper he and his wife were both issued $500 tickets.

“I think somebody called the police,” he added to the Democrat-Times. “And we were just doing the same thing we’ve been doing the last three weeks.”

Gordon noted to the paper that the police “were respectful and just doing their job. They asked us to leave first, and those who stayed got a ticket.”

‘Somewhere right now in the city of Greenville, real crime is going on’

Another Temple Baptist church member recorded video of police issuing tickets in the parking lot.

“Somewhere right now in the city of Greenville, real crime is going on,” the man said from behind the wheel of his vehicle. “They got half of the police squad at Temple Baptist Church. Seventy- and 80-year-old people … most of them never even had a speeding ticket. But this is a better use of Greenville’s resources.”

“Just handed a ticket by a man with no gloves. He gave me an ink pen to sign it …” he said, adding that he and other church members were “complying 100% with the governor’s ordinance on COVID-19. And they come and force us not to comply. They force us to make human contact. Your city dollars at work for you.”

Why, pray tell?

In addition to last Friday’s shelter-in-place order from Republican Gov. Tate Reeves, Democratic Mayor of Greenville Errick Simmons issued an executive order Tuesday that all church buildings are to be closed for both in-person and drive-in services — and that the Temple Baptist parking lot service was in direct defiance of that order, the Democrat-Times reported.

“People have been calling the office all week telling us there are churches still meeting,” Simmons told the paper. “These are people from out of town who are concerned their older parents are still going to these meeting places.”

Gatherings of 10 or more people have been banned in the city for more than three weeks, the Democrat-Times said, adding that Simmons noted the Mississippi Department of Health and governor’s office said church meetings and other gathering places have been epicenters for COVID-19 cases.

“It’s all about trying to save lives,” the mayor added to the paper. “If people continue to gather, it’s going to spread.”

Turns out Simmons told the Democrat-Times he got a call in his office earlier this week from someone claiming to be the pastor of Temple Baptist who said, “We’re having church on Wednesday, no matter what.”

Sunday morning coming down

Despite getting the tickets Wednesday, Gordon told the paper that Temple Baptist plans on holding Easter morning services in the parking lot. He pointed out to the paper that a similar gathering was taking place not too far from the church parking lot.

“There’s 25 cars 200 yards away all in the same place at the Sonic Drive-In. What we’re doing endangers nobody,” he said.

Temple Baptist isn’t the only church opposed to the executive order

Simmons recently hosted a conference call with local pastors to discuss the church meeting situation and told the paper the only pastors against the executive order were Scott of Temple Baptist and Charles Hamilton Jr., pastor of King James Bible Baptist Church, also in Greenville.

And as it happens, First Liberty Institute — which is representing Hamilton and his church — sent a letter to Simmons urging him to withdraw his executive order, WJTV-TV reported.

“Protecting religious liberty is essential, even during a pandemic,” Jeremy Dys, special counsel for litigation and communications at First Liberty, told the station. “Americans can tolerate a lot, if it means demonstrating love for their fellow man, but they will not — nor should not — tolerate churchgoers being ticketed by the police for following CDC guidelines at church. This has to stop now.”

California man stranded on side of road with car trouble calls tow truck for help. Before the tow can arrive, Jay Leno comes to the rescue.

Dwayne Henry, a luxury real estate agent from Los Angeles, was out for a joyride in his vintage Mercedes-Benz when he received roadside assistance from a most unlikely mechanic: Jay Leno.

Henry appeared on Thursday’s broadcast of “The Glenn Beck Program,” where he detailed his experience with Leno and more.

What’s a brief history?

On Sunday, Henry and his girlfriend were driving around Los Angeles near West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.

The pair decided to get some air during the coronavirus pandemic while still maintaining social distancing measures with the public.

Henry, who works at Westside Estate Agency, discovered that the car — a 1953 Mercedes-Benz — was experiencing mechanical trouble after the brakes failed to work correctly.

He pulled over on the side of the road to assess the trouble and place a call for roadside assistance. Just minutes later, Leno — a car aficionado in his own right — pulled up in his Tesla next to Henry to offer help. A tow truck showed up shortly after Leno’s arrival, and armed with the mechanic’s tools, Leno worked to diagnose the brake issue.

What did Henry say about the chance meeting?

During Thursday’s chat, Henry told Beck that he was driving near Charing Cross Road — home of the $30,000,000 home price tag as well as the Playboy Mansion — when he experienced the car trouble.

“While I’m waiting [for the tow truck], this little Tesla pulls up. Jay Leno gets out of the car,” he said and noted that he greeted Leno.

Leno asked if he was having car troubles, and offered his help.

“I think I’m having some brake issues here, I’m not really sure,” Henry recalled telling the longtime entertainer.

Henry said that Leno directed him to pop the hood of the vintage car to give it a once-over.

“Tow truck driver pulls up, my buddy Jimmy pulls up, they’re trying to figure out what the hell is Jay is doing in the hood of my engine compartment working on the car. He was looking at stuff, looking around. He turned around and asked if the tow truck driver had a wrench,” Henry recalled.

The tow truck driver obliged, and armed Leno with a wrench so he could diagnose the issue with the vehicle.

“Jay’s looking around,” he said. “[He] takes the nut off to release … pressure where the brake fluid and all this stuff is, and kind of diagnosing the car, breaking stuff down, telling me this, showing me that, wants to know who worked on the car, told him who worked on my car. He goes, ‘Well, when you talk to the guy, tell him I think it’s this.’ You know, this brake issue.”

He added, “It was so surreal. I’m looking at Jay, literally in my engine compartment with a wrench, working on my car.”

Beck shared a Leno encounter of his own, in which he and his wife and, at the time, two young children were able to visit Leno’s personal garage, which housed Bugattis at the time.

“He took the kids for probably 15 minutes and was driving them around in some of the cool electric cars from the turn of the century,” he recalled. “This guy is the real deal. I really like him.”

It’s probably a coincidence, but I notice that as businesses go under, jobs are lost, careers are ended and trillions of dollars are drained from the economy, the people most avidly pushing the coronavirus panic are doing quite well.

No politician or government official has taken a salary cut. To the contrary, dusty bureaucrats now find the entire country transfixed by their every utterance. Cable news hosts still make millions of dollars — and now they get to work from home!

Annoyingly, though, journalists can’t seem to relay the basic elements of a news story: who, what, where and why.

First, who’s dying? It appears to be mostly the old, people with specific medical conditions and vapers.

To be sure, that’s not as important as daily updates on Chris Cuomo’s personal battle with the coronavirus, but it might be kind of important to the 17 million Americans who’ve been thrown out of work, many of whom are not elderly, immunocompromised or vapers.

Second, the “what.” What exactly constitutes a “coronavirus death”?

It turns out a person with Stage 4 lung cancer and a bullet through the heart will be counted as a “coronavirus death” if he also tested positive for the disease, OR merely exhibited symptoms associated with it (symptoms that are coextensive with the flu and pneumonia).

We’re told that, if anything, coronavirus deaths are being under-counted because the numbers don’t include those who die of it at home.

If so, then the death count also excludes those who die at home of other things, like heart attacks and poisonings. Many of these people might have survived — except they were too scared to go to a hospital or couldn’t find an EMT to take them there, per current edicts.

The “where” is: Where did the virus originate, and where did it first land in this country?

Despite the media’s best efforts — DON’T CALL IT THE “CHINESE VIRUS”! — people know that the virus began at a wet market in China.

But where did it start in this country? Washington state was the site of our very first case. Washington state is also 9.3% Asian. Even now, it has eight times more coronavirus cases per capita than neighboring Oregon (4.8% Asian).

Could it be that Chinese-Americans have more contact with the epicenter of this plague than other Americans? As the left always lectures us, BELIEVE THE SCIENCE!

The virus next leapt to New York (9% Asian) and New Jersey (10% Asian). The worst-hit borough of Manhattan is Queens. Guess which borough has the most Asians? Elmhurst Hospital in Queens is the worst-hit hospital in the nation. Elmhurst neighborhood: 50% Asian.

Notice a pattern? While it’s true that “viruses don’t have nationalities!” — and thank you very much for pointing that out, media! — the carriers of viruses do have nationalities.

Arguably, Trump had a reason to shut down travel from China other than “hysteria, xenophobia and fear-mongering,” as Joe Biden claimed in a tweet on Feb. 1.

Of course, once it’s here, it’s here and can spread all over. Still, compare New York and New Jersey to, say, Montana and West Virginia.

Chinese virus deaths, so far, by population:

— New York (9% Asian): 29 per 100,000

— New Jersey (10% Asian): 13 per 100,000

— Montana (0.9% Asian): 0.6 per 100,000

— West Virginia (0.8% Asian): 0.2 per 100,000

Then there’s California, which alone among the four states with the highest Asian populations has relatively few coronavirus cases, probably due to its warm climate and little public transportation, among other things. In those respects, California is a lot like Texas — which has about a third as many Asians and also about a third as many coronavirus deaths (1.1 per 100,000 in California, compared to 0.71 per 100,000 in Texas).

MEDIA: Oh, why does it matter?

OK, OK, you’re right. But isn’t the prevalence of the coronavirus in states with high Asian populations at least as interesting as this recent article in The New York Times magazine?

Story summary:

Man with severe asthma gets coronavirus, has low-grade fever for approximately 10 days with muscle pain, nausea and fatigue, develops walking pneumonia per X-ray (no clinical evidence) …

Recovers.

The End.

Finally, why? Why do we have to deal with this virus at all?

The media would prefer if you would stop asking this question, but Americans who didn’t have to die are dead because of Wall Street’s decision to merge our economy with the Chinese, who have unusual eating habits.

The Chinese eat wolf pups. But eating dog wasn’t weird enough. It didn’t give them a frisson of freakishness. They also eat bats, snakes and chicken testicles.

Husband: Oh, honey, golden retriever again?

[Kids groan]

Mom: Not tonight! For a special treat, we’re having chicken testicles!

Kids: Aw, you’re the best mom ever!

Tigers and rhinos are the most endangered species on Earth because Chinese people think rhinoceros horns and tiger penises can cure impotence. The Caspian, Bali and Javan tigers are already extinct because of this charming folk remedy.

Recently added to the endangered species list is the cute, cartoonish pangolin, the most trafficked animal is the world. Unfortunately, the pangolin’s scales are believed to cure any number of ailments, according to traditional Chinese medicine.

Where’s PETA?

The media are too busy covering for China. At least the Chinese aren’t white.

Although, it occurs to me that, despite America’s terrible toxic whiteness, one way our culture is superior to others is that we don’t believe lunatic nonsense that wipes out entire species or launches viral pandemics on the world.

Now back to Chris Cuomo’s riveting battle with the coronavirus.

This Is Strange: Total US Deaths in March 2020 are Actually Down 15% from Average of Prior Four Years

What is going on? After shutting down the government and killing the greatest economy in the world due to deathly estimates from specialists on the coronavirus, the data is showing that this may be one great big mistake or hoax.

According to data obtained from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics Mortality Surveillance System website, total U.S. deaths for the first three weeks of March are DOWN 10% from the average of the prior four years for the same three week period.

The average for weeks 9 through 11 for the four prior years was a total of 170,555 deaths. For weeks 9 through 11 this year, the total is 153,015, meaning 17,540 fewer people died in America during the first three weeks of March than could be reasonably expected. And the gap between historic deaths and weekly deaths is widening. For week 11, just 47,655 Americans died, 8,773 and 15% fewer than the average for week 11 in the prior four years. And while data on week 12 is not complete, it is trending similar to week 11 and will likely be down by 15% (around 8,700 deaths less than expected) even though 1,919 COVID-19 deaths were reported (in week beginning 3/22).

Now after deaths for the entire month of March are reported, the results show that deaths in the US this March are 15% less than the average of the past four years!

IN MARCH OF 2020 THERE WERE 34,000 (rounded) LESS DEATHS THAN THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF DEATHS IN THE US OVER THE FOUR YEARS PRIOR!

According to the CDC’s website, in March 2020 there were a total of 193,000 deaths in the US. The average number of deaths in the US for March over the four years prior to 2020 (2016 – 2019) is 227,000. The difference between this year and the average for the past four years is 34,000. 2020 deaths are 85% of the average of the prior four years.

The US is experiencing 34,000 less deaths in 2020 than in the prior four years but we are concerned about a virus that to date as of March 31, 2020 that had a total of 4,000 US deaths? What is really going on and who is responsible for the broken estimates and consistent messaging in the President’s ear to shut down the US economy?

BREAKING… President Trump: We Are Looking at Defunding “China Centric” World Health Organization (VIDEO)

President Trump today announced the White House is “looking at” defunding the “China centric” World Health Organization.

The World Health Organization in January found “no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission” of the coronavirus.

It turned out they were just defending China. The information was completely inaccurate. Today tens of thousands of people are dead around the globe thanks to China’s false reporting on the disease.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, reportedly promotes what China wants him to promote.

At the Illustrated Primer website, Yaacov Apelbaum shares the links between the Director General and China. For example, in late January he met with China’s President Xi:

On February 15, 2020, the director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, addressed the Munich Security Conference. At that time, there were only about 60K cases of Covid-19 in China and about 500 in the rest of the world. Tedros was more concerned with misinformation than with containment. In his address, he said:

“We’re not just fighting an epidemic; we’re fighting an infodemic. Fake news spreads faster and more easily than this virus, and is just as dangerous.” And if we don’t tackle this, he went on, “we are headed down a dark path that leads nowhere but division and disharmony.”

Now the Director General is reporting whatever China wishes. As noted above by Apelbaum, China has invested millions in Ethiopia. This may be in part why Tedros has made the following statements about the WHO:

Given the misinformation about the novel coronavirus epidemic, WHO has communicated with some companies including Google to ensure that the public will get the authoritative information from the WHO.”

“Travel restrictions [to and from China] can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma, with little public health benefit.”

“The lockdown of people is unprecedented in public health history, so it is certainly not a recommendation the WHO has made.”

“The WHO highly appreciates the tremendous efforts China has made to contain the epidemic.”

Tedros is who the world is relying on to provide accurate information on the coronavirus.

Today President Trump told reporters the White House is “looking into” defunding the Chinese centric WHO. The liberal reporters hated to hear that. They would rather defend communist China than support this US president.

The Republicans introduced a bill to defund the WHO, unless Tedros resigns.

A Massachusetts Superior Court Judge just ordered a man who was convicted of raping a child to be released from prison.

I just can’t understand what the rationale is for letting people out of jail who are away from the general public. This isn’t some freak virus that just pops up out of nowhere. It must be transmitted.

If the guards at the jail do their job and follow proper social distancing rules, they’re not going to infect inmates, and if they do…so what? They are scumbags who deserves to be in prison.

This guy is a convicted child molester and they’re worried about his safety and well-being? What about the countless kids that you’re putting at risk of being his next victim? Not to mention that being out in the general population with the rest of America is just putting him out in the world where the virus actually is.

“The health risks to a person in custody caused by the pandemic constitute changed circumstances,” which entitle Christie to a new hearing, Chief Justice Ralph Gants wrote, according to a report from The Salem News. “We also conclude that, in conducting that (new) review, a judge must give careful consideration not only to the risks posed by releasing the defendant –- flight, danger to others or to the community, and likelihood of further criminal acts — but also, during this pandemic, to the risk that the defendant might die or become seriously ill if kept in custody.”

So what they’re saying is that they felt that the risk of him catching a virus was greatest than the risk of him being a danger to others….a convicted child rapist. Unbelievable!

Why don’t they apply this standard consistently and just not put any child rapist in prison at all? Because the odds of them being murdered in prison are much greater than on the outside.

WATCH: CBS FORCED TO WALK BACK VIRAL VIDEO OF CRYING NURSE

You may have seen the video since over 6 million people have. The nurse was bawling her eyes out because she was forced to quit her job because the hospital she worked for allegedly was making her take care of coronavirus patients without a mask or protective clothing because the hospital lacked the resources and her claiming she was determined to continue nursing but at a hospital that was supplying protective equipment.

It was a great story, which CBS was promoting to the hilt, The only thing that could have made it better would have been if there was even a small shred of truth to it. CBS loved the narrative, so they didn’t bother vetting her story. Unfortunately, the entire story was built lie upon lie.

First of all, she had taken a leave from her job in an effort to be an internet “model”. She returned to that job for only one day but quit to become a blogger and :”influencer.” Guess which party. The hospital did only assign her 1 patient with coronavirus and they did provide her with safety equipment, which the hospital said they have plenty of. No one was asked to care for patients without personal protection, including a mask.

“I quit my job today,” Vera says in the viral video, tears streaming down her face. “I wanted to work, and I was assigned to a COVID patient on an ICU unit that has been converted to a designated COVID unit.”

“None of the nurses are wearing masks,” she claimed, “not even surgical masks in the hallways when they’re giving report to each other.”

“I had my own N95 mask,” the woman continued. “I told my manager, I understand we’re short on supplies, but let me protect myself, let me feel safe. I have family that I have to come home to, and the way things are looking, this isn’t gonna get any better.”

CBS, which apparently picked up the video from the blogger’s heavily trafficked Instagram page, added sad music and a video caption: “This nurse had to make a difficult decision in order to protect herself and family members with pre-existing conditions.”

CBS News posted a follow-up “clarification” on Monday: “Imaris Vera, the nurse in this video, clarified her experience on Monday in a tweet: ‘We were each assigned 1 N95 per 1 covid patient’s room but was not allowed to wear it outside of the room, wear our own N95 mask around the Nurses station or Halls, which I came prepared with.’”

“The hospital, Northwestern Medicine, acknowledged that Imaris Vera had quit her job, but referred CBS News to Vera as to the details of why,” the news outlet added.

Richard H. Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, believes that it is entirely possible that the coronavirus could be a bioweapon and those claims should not be dismissed before serious inquiry can be conducted.

“A denial is not a refutation,” Ebright said in reference to Chinese virologist Shi Zhengli, who works at the research lab in Wuhan that has been widely speculated to be behind the coronavirus outbreak.

The research facility in Wuhan opened up in 2017 despite objections that highly infectious diseases could spread from the center. Just two years after it was established, the Chinese coronavirus pandemic would go on to rock the world:

A laboratory in Wuhan is on the cusp of being cleared to work with the world’s most dangerous pathogens. The move is part of a plan to build between five and seven biosafety level-4 (BSL-4) labs across the Chinese mainland by 2025, and has generated much excitement, as well as some concerns.

Some scientists outside China worry about pathogens escaping, and the addition of a biological dimension to geopolitical tensions between China and other nations. But Chinese microbiologists are celebrating their entrance to the elite cadre empowered to wrestle with the world’s greatest biological threats.

“It will offer more opportunities for Chinese researchers, and our contribution on the BSL‑4-level pathogens will benefit the world,” says George Gao, director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology in Beijing. There are already two BSL-4 labs in Taiwan, but the National Bio-safety Laboratory, Wuhan, would be the first on the Chinese mainland…

Many staff from the Wuhan lab have been training at a BSL-4 lab in Lyon, which some scientists find reassuring. And the facility has already carried out a test-run using a low-risk virus.

But worries surround the Chinese lab, too. The SARS virus has escaped from high-level containment facilities in Beijing multiple times, notes Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. Tim Trevan, founder of CHROME Biosafety and Biosecurity Consulting in Damascus, Maryland, says that an open culture is important to keeping BSL-4 labs safe, and he questions how easy this will be in China, where society emphasizes hierarchy. “Diversity of viewpoint, flat structures where everyone feels free to speak up and openness of information are important,” he says.

Yuan says that he has worked to address this issue with staff. “We tell them the most important thing is that they report what they have or haven’t done,” he says. And the lab’s international collaborations will increase openness. “Transparency is the basis of the lab,” he adds.

Ebright praised Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) for his willingness to push back against Chinese propaganda with regards to the origins of the coronavirus.

“After concealing the virus for many weeks in December and then minimizing its severity for most of January, they then peddle an origin story about the food market in Wuhan.” Cotton said during an interview with The Daily Caller.

“Given their dishonesty and the proximity of these labs, which we know were working with coronaviruses, it is only reasonable and responsible for us to ask the question and demand the answers,” he added.

A Michigan state Democratic lawmaker who was suffering from the coronavirus credited President Donald Trump with saving her life, saying on Monday that his constant touting of hydroxychloroquine is what led her to ask her doctor for the malaria drug.

Rep. Karen Whitsett (Detroit) “said she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, after both she and her husband sought treatment for a range of symptoms on March 18,” The Detroit Free Press reported. “‘It was less than two hours’ before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection.”

Whitsett said that she had taken the drug before for a separate medical issue but would not have thought to ask her doctor about it unless Trump had been repeatedly talking about it.

“It has a lot to do with the president … bringing it up,” Whitsett said. “He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority.”

When The Detroit Free Press asked her if she thought that Trump may have saved her life, she responded, “Yes, I do. I do thank him for that.”

Trump sent out a link to the report, writing, “Congratulations to State Representative Karen Whitsett of Michigan. So glad you are getting better!”

While experts are still waiting on clinical trials and additional testing to officially determine the efficacy of using the drug to treat coronavirus, many doctors have said that it works very well.

Los Angeles based Dr. Anthony Cardillo, CEO of Mend Urgent Care, praised the drug over the weekend during an interview with ABC 7 news anchor Jory Rand.

“What we’re finding clinically with our patients is that it really only works in conjunction with zinc. So the hydroxychloroquine opens the zinc channel, zinc goes into the cell, it then blocks the replication of the cellular machinery,” Cardillo said. “So, it has to be used in conjunction with zinc. We are seeing some clinical responses in that regard. There are people that take it regularly for other disease processes, we have to be cautious and mindful that we don’t prescribe for patients who have COVID that are well. It really should be reserved for people that are really sick, in the hospital, or at home very sick that need that medication, otherwise we’re going to blow through our supply for the patients that take it regularly for other disease processes.”

“Every patient I’ve prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8-12 hours they were basically symptom free and so, clinically I am seeing a resolution that mirrors what we saw in the French study and some of the other studies worldwide,” Cardillo continued. “But what I am seeing is that people that are taking it alone, by itself, it’s not having efficacy.”

During an interview on Fox News last week, Dr. Stephen Smith, an infectious disease doctor, said, “It’s a game changer. It’s an absolute game changer. I think this data will go to really support the French data. … I think this is the beginning of the end of the pandemic. I’m very serious.”

ITALY’S COMMUNISTS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

As I sit here in my involuntary isolation, it was just reported that overnight 743 more people died and 5.249 new cases have been reported. This brings the total cases of infection to 69,176 and the body count to 6,820. We take relief in knowing that 8,326 people have recovered so far.

Most towns here in Italy, from the upper reaches of the Alps to the ancient shores of Sicilia and Sardinia, while not deserted, are closer to being ghost towns than the bustling centres of tourism, business and daily life they were just a few weeks ago. Stores and shops have been shuttered.

Restaurants and coffee shops no longer serve customers. Schools, universities, sporting arenas…even our museums and theatres …all closed. Even the Vatican City has closed its gates and armed patrols monitor the 20-foot tall walls that protect it! Streets and roads are now empty for as far as the eye can see.

Normally they would be filled with crazed Italian drivers in tiny cars and scooters (the ones that sound like demonic insects) darting here and there, reaching the limits of centrifugal force on our roundabouts. In the piazze of our towns and cities, there are now officially more pigeons than people.

Many of us know someone who has been infected and recovered. Some of us know someone who did not recover…now they are dead. But everyone knows someone who has been affected by this microscopic monster in one way or another. Sixty million of us are in lockdown…it is like a war zone here.

We are being held prisoner in our own homes by an unseen enemy that sneaked in unnoticed…by most of us. As you will read in just a few more minutes, there were those who knew something like this was coming…or at least they should have. So who is to blame?

With all this craziness swirling like a whirlpool at our feet, I just had to find the blame answer. And so I have spent my free time (of which I have a lot these days) digging and researching. I was literally shocked to discover how this has come to be. I am not going to bore you with talk of Patient ‘0’ who spread it to Patient ‘1’ and how mathematics efficiently explains the rapid expansion of infection. No…I am going to tell you how (as I see it) the virus came to Italy. It has everything to do with communists.

Allow me to explain. Beginning in about 2014, Matteo Renzi, the imbecile ex-mayor of Firenze (Florence) acting as the leader of the Partito Democratico (synonymous with the Italian Communist party), somehow managed to get himself elected as Italy’s Prime Minister.

To give you a proper frame of reference, Matteo Renzi was so far left, he would make Barack Obama look like Barry Goldwater! At the same time that Renzi was leading Italy into oblivion, strange things were happening in Italy’s economy.

Banks were failing…but not closing. Retirement ages were being extended…for some reason the pension funds were dwindling or disappearing. The national sales tax we call IVA (Value Added Tax) rose from 18% to 20%, then to 21% and again to 22%.And in the midst of all this financial chicanery, the Chinese began furiously buying up Italian real estate and businesses in the North.

Now the reason I mention Renzi and the Chinese together is that strange things were also going on between the governments of Italy and China. A blind eye was being turned to the way the Chinese were buying businesses in the financial, telecommunication, industrial and fashion sectors of Italy’s economy, all of which take place in Milano. To be brief…China was getting away with purchases and acquisitions in violation of Italian law and EU Trade Agreements with the US and the UK…and no one in either of those countries (not Obama in the US or Cameron in the UK) said a thing in their country’s defence.

As a matter of fact, much of it was hidden from the public in all three countries. In 2014, China infused the Italian economy with €5 billion through purchases of companies costing less than €100 million each. By the time Renzi left office (in disgrace) in 2016, Chinese acquisitions had exceeded €52 billion.

When the dust settled, China owned more than 300 companies…representing 27% of the major Italian corporations. The Bank of China now owns five major banks in Italy…all of which had been secretly (and illegally) propped up by Renzi using pilfered pension funds! Soon after, the China Milano Equity Exchange was opened and much of Italy’s wealth was being funnelled back to the Chinese mainland. Chinese state entities own Italy’s major telecommunication corporation (Telecom) as well as its major utilities (ENI and ENEL).

Upon entry into the telecommunication market, Huawei established a facility in Segrate, a suburb of Milano. It launched is the first research centre there and worked on the study of microwaves which has resulted in the possibly-dangerous technology we call 5G. China also now owns a controlling interest in Fiat-Chrysler, Prysmian and Terna.

You will be surprised to know that when you put a set of Pirelli tires on your car, the profits are going to China. Yep…the Chinese colossus of ChemChina, a chemical industry titan, bought that company too! Last but not least is Ferretti yachts…the most prestigious yacht builder in Europe. Incredibly, it is no longer owned by the Ferretti family. But the sector in which Chinese companies invested most was Italy’s profitable fashion industry.

The Pinco Pallino, Miss Sixty, Sergio Tacchini, Roberta di Camerino and Mariella Burani brands have been acquired by 100%. Designer Salvatore Ferragamo sold 16% and Caruso sold 35%. The most famous case is Krizia, purchased in 2014 by Shenzhen Marisfrolg Fashion Company, one of the leaders of high-priced, ready-to-wear fashions in Asia. Throughout all of these purchases and acquisitions, Renzi’s government afforded the Chinese unrestricted and unfettered access to Italy and its financial markets, many coming through without customs inspections.

Quite literally, tens of thousands of Chinese came in through Milano (illegally) and went back out carrying money, technology and corporate secrets. Thousands more were allowed to enter and disappeared into shadows of Milano and other manufacturing cities of Lombardy, only to surface in illegal sewing shops, producing knock-off designer clothes and slapping ‘Made In Italy’ labels on them.

All with the tacit approval of the Renzi government. It was not until there was a change in the governing party in Italy that the sweatshops and the illegal entry and departure of Chinese nationals were stopped. Matteo Salvini, representing the Lega Nord party, closed Italy’s ports to immigrants and systematically began disassembling the sweatshops and deporting those in Italy illegally.

But his rise to power was short-lived. Italy is a communist country…socialism is in the national DNA. Ways were found to remove Salvini, after which the communist party, under the direction of Giuseppe Conte, reopened the ports. Immediately, thousands of unvetted, undocumented refugees from the Middle East and East Africa began pouring in again.

Access was again provided to the Chinese, under the old terms, and as a consequence thousands of Chinese, the majority from Wuhan began arriving in Milano. In December of last year, the first inklings of a coronavirus were noticed in Lombardy…in the Chinese neighbourhoods.

There is no doubt amongst senior medical officials that the virus was brought here from China. By the end of January 2020 cases were being reported left and right. By mid-February, the virus was beginning to seriously overload the Lombardy hospitals and medical clinics. They are now in a state of collapse.

The Far-Left politicians sold out and betrayed the Italian people with open border policies and social justice programs. One of the reasons the health care system collapsed so quickly is because the Renzi government (and now continued under the Conte government) redirected funds meant to sustain the medical system, to pay for the tens of thousands of immigrants brought in to Italy against the will of the Italian people. If you remember the horrible earthquake that decimated the villages around Amatriciana, in the mountains east of Rome in 2015, you would also remember how the world responded by sending millions of dollars to help those affected.

But there is a law in Italy that prevents private donations to charitable Italian organizations. All money and donations received must be turned over to a government agency, who in turn is to appropriate the funds as needed. But that agency is corrupt just as are all the others. Most of the money never reached a single victim in the mountains. The Renzi government redirected the vast majority of those funds to pay for the growing immigrant and refugee costs. As the economy worsened under the burden of illegal immigration, compounded by gross government spending and incompetence, unemployment rose quickly…especially among young people.

The unemployment rate for men and women under age 35 is close to 40%. So more money was diverted from the health care system and used to pay what is known here as guaranteed income. Whether you work or not you are paid here, especially if you belong to the PD!

The government simply raises taxes on those who do work. Let me give you a quick example of the height of insanity to which Italian taxation has risen. If you live in a building that has a balcony or balconies…and any of those balconies cast a shadow on the ground, you must pay a public shadow tax! I will say no more!

The point I am trying to make here is that not only did the Chinese bring the virus to Italy (and the rest of the world) it was far-Left politics and policies that facilitated it. This should hopefully be a warning to Americans that while they work to rid themselves of the China Virus, they should just as vehemently endeavour to rid their government of any politician that circumvents the Constitution and ignores the laws of the land…plain and simple.

This guy should be locked up. Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) Michael Atkinson left behind a trail of lies and corruption from his days at the DOJ and as ICIG. Even his wife is connected to the Deep State.

Atkinson was identified in the most recent FISA abuse report by the DOJ IG Horowitz as one of the individuals who was involved in FISA abuse which provides President Trump cover for firing Atkinson:

…The recent IG report that outlines Atkinson’s gross incompetence in the FISA scandal, vis-a-vis the 42 DOJ-NSD Accuracy Reviews, is the atomic shield against the political narrative….

But corrupt politicians like lying Adam Schiff, who pushed forward the unconstitutional and criminal impeachment of President Trump are up in arms about the President’s action:

Prior to becoming IC Inspector General, Michael Atkinson was the Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Senior Counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the National Security Division, Mary McCord.

It is very safe to say Mary McCord and Michael Atkinson have a working relationship from their time together in 2016 and 2017 at the DOJ-NSD. Atkinson was Mary McCord’s senior legal counsel; essentially her lawyer.

McCord was the senior intelligence officer who accompanied Sally Yates to the White House in 2017 to confront then White House Counsel Don McGahn about the issues with National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and the drummed up controversy over the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak phone call.

Additionally, Mary McCord, Sally Yates and Michael Atkinson worked together to promote the narrative around the incoming Trump administration “Logan Act” violations. This silly claim (undermining Obama policy during the transition) was the heavily promoted, albeit manufactured, reason why Yates and McCord were presumably concerned about Flynn’s contact with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. It was nonsense.

McCord and Atkinson were involved also in the bogus FISA warrants recently investigated by the DOJ IG. We also know that two lovebirds who worked for Atkinson during his time were involved in doctoring the DOJ FISA warrant obtained to spy on candidate, and President, Trump.

The individual (or individuals) were soon identified as Kevin Clinesmith who worked with his reported lover Sally Moyer.

We reported previously that Atkinson took the ICIG position after working for McCord at the DOJ. McCord, on the other hand, found a position working for lying Adam Schiff.

We then reported that Atkinson changed the IC whistleblower form in September of 2019 shortly after a CIA Agent, who was spying in the Trump White House, drafted a complaint on President Trump. Atkinson saw to it that the whistleblower form was updated to allow for second hand information, which the ‘whistleblower’ (believed to be Eric Ciaramella) provided in his complaint. Although, the form should not have been accepted based on second-hand information and because it was about the President of the United States (who is not a member of the IC), Atkinson accepted the complaint.

Margot Cleveland at the Federalist notes the following about the timing of when Atkinson changed the form and requirements that complaints be based on first hand information:

As Davis noted, the revised form “was uploaded on September 24, 2019, at 4:25 p.m., just days before the anti-Trump complaint was declassified and released to the public. The markings on the document state that it was revised in August 2019, but no specific date of revision is disclosed,” and the whistleblower’s complaint was dated August 12, 2019.

It is unclear whether the whistleblower submitted a form with his nine-page dossier, and if so what form, as none was declassified. One suggestion that a form was submitted is the OIG’s summary of the complaint: “According to the ICIG, statements made by the President during the call could be viewed as soliciting a foreign campaign contribution in violation of the campaign-finance laws.”

Yet nothing in the whistleblower’s complaint mentioned potential foreign campaign contributions. Was that the ICIG’s gloss of the complaint, or was that the summary the whistleblower used on the form?

Frankly, it does not matter which, if any, form the whistleblower used: What matters is whether the ICIG changed its position on accepting complaints under the ICWPA. If, prior to this charge against Trump, the ICIG refused to accept complaints based on second-hand information, but altered its procedure to trigger the ICWPA for the president, that is a huge scandal and implicates many besides the so-called whistleblower.

While the whistleblower’s plot to manipulate the ICWPA is obvious from the complaint, and so is his inaccurate partial quote of the statutory definition of “urgent concern,” the change in the form suggests complicity in the ICIG’s office. The director of national intelligence, who oversees the ICIG, should immediately investigate the investigator and determine whether there was a change in policy, when it occurred, why it occurred, and who initiated the change.

President Trump spoke about Atkinson over the weekend and he said that the White House offered to provide a copy of the discussion the President had with the newly elected President of the Ukraine, which was the object of the ‘whistleblower’s’ complaint, but instead Atkinson went to Congress with the application:

The whistleblower attempted to edit the form he originally provided. The original form stated that the whistleblower did not talk to Congress before filing the form but after it was discovered that he had met with Adam Schiff’s team in Congress, the whistleblower attempted to edit his form.

President Trump, in his comments over the weekend, questions what about the leaker who was on the call and who provided the whistleblower with the bogus story about President Trump. President Trump also asks, what happened to the second whistleblower which was discussed right before the President released the transcript of the call with the Ukraine. Why did Atkinson not bring this individual forward? The President indicates that the second whistleblower could be the corrupt and dishonest Adam Schiff!

Representative John Ratcliffe discussed this in the House impeachment sham but the Democrats ran ahead with their unconstitutional act anyways:

The most repulsive action by the Democrats and the Deep State is withholding ICIG Atkinson’s testimony in the House basement during the Schiff impeachment sham. This testimony is reportedly damning and will exonerate President Trump while highlighting the criminal activities of Schiff, Ciaramella, Atkinson, McCord and other crooks in the Deep State.

The Conservative Treehouse noted that the President has recommended Ratcliffe for the ODNI role but corrupt Republican Senator Burr won’t take this up in the Senate:

Intelligence Committee member John Ratcliffe has been nominated for the permanent ODNI role, but his nomination has not been taken up by corrupt Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) Chairman Richard Burr. Ironically, Senator Burr is now under investigation for insider trading related to his divestiture of Wall Street investments prior to the financial collapse due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Former ICIG Atkinson’s wife is even connected to the Deep State, as she was connected to Fusion GPS and Mary Jacoby, the wife of one of its founders.

It is very clear that former ICIG Atkinson is involved in some of the most corrupt actions in US history. He should have been fired. He should also be prosecuted for his actions to remove the President of the United States from office for made up crimes.

This is quite stunning. The government models used to predict the extent of the coronavirus pandemic are off by huge margins in the latest coronavirus tracking numbers.

The current government predictions reported by Covid Tracking (https://covidtracking.com/data/ ) for Apr 5th show:

– All beds needed: 179,267
– ICU beds needed: 33,176
– Invasive ventilators: 26,544

Those were the predictions.

The actual numbers as recorded at The Covid Tracking Project:

– Actual hospitalizations: 22,158
– In ICU: 5,207
– On ventilator: 656

This is a complete failure of estimates and models. The actual numbers show:

This is completely unacceptable.

At this time in history and with the technology in place it is absolutely shocking that this could happen! Millions of Americans will lose their jobs due to these panic-driven lock-downs. The first people to be fired should be the ones who drove this panic!

The video was released by Benny Johnson who is a conservative reporter and works for Turning Point USA. The video was published on the same day New York Governor Andrew Cuomo reported that the State of New York has seen its first drop in daily coronavirus deaths.

“You could argue that you are seeing a plateauing,” Cuomo told reporters on Sunday, as he revealed that the state had reported 594 new coronavirus deaths — down from the 630 reported on Saturday and the 562 on Friday. At least 4,159 people have died in the state so far, with approximately 122,000 total positive cases.

When Cuomo was pressed if this could be the beginning of the end he said he can’t be sure.

“The statisticians will not give you a straight answer on anything,” he responded. “At first, it was straight up and straight down, or a total V. Or maybe it’s up with a plateau and we’re somewhere on the plateau. They don’t know.”

“The number of beds doesn’t really matter anymore,” Cuomo went on. “We have the beds. It’s the ventilators, and then it’s the staff.”

What is positive to see is that the great doctors of our country are starting to get a handle on this disease.

HARVARD/HARRIS POLL: 5-IN-6 AMERICANS WANT TO END IMMIGRATION FROM MEXICO

The Harvard/Harris Poll found that 5 out of 6 voters want immigration from Mexico to end. As you can tell by the number of people who approve of the plan, it cuts across all age groups and all political persuasions.

The plan is approved by 75 percent of Hispanic Americans and 77 percent of black Americans. Another 73 percent of Democrat voters said they support ending immigration from Mexico, while 84 percent of swing voters and 93 percent of Republican voters support such a measure.

It is popular even with liberal voters, who approve of the plan by nearly 70% and among Hillary voters by 74%.

At the same time that Americans want immigration from Mexico ended, the Dee State at the State Department is handing out H-2B and H-2A visas like they were candy. With unemployment expected to reach as high as 32% the extra competition for those jobs will not be welcomed.

While the overwhelming majority of Americans want to see an end to immigration from Mexico, the State Department has issued waivers that will more quickly fast-track many Mexican workers into the U.S. through the H-2B and H-2A visa programs.

The directive effectively allows agricultural and nonagricultural businesses to quickly import foreign workers on H-2A and H-2B visas without standard interview and application procedures.

As Breitbart News has reported, immigration moratoriums are not uncommon in American history. Currently, there are about 45 million foreign-born residents living in the U.S., a 108-year record high.

The country’s last immigration boom — between 1900 and 1920 — was eventually met with a near immigration moratorium. Between 1925 and 1966, the U.S. legal immigration level did not exceed 327,000 annual admissions.

Since major changes were enacted in 1965 by President Lyndon B. Johnson (D) and in the 1990s by President George H.W. Bush (R) — changes that allow foreign nationals to bring as many foreign relatives to the country as they want — legal immigration levels have continued booming for about five decades.

Today, about 1.2 million legal immigrants are admitted to the U.S. every year.

Suspected SARS Virus And Flu Samples Found In Chinese Scientists’ Luggage Arriving In The U.S.: REPORT

Samples of the suspected SARS virus and influenza were found in Chinese scientists’ luggage arriving in the U.S., according to an unclassified FBI tactical intelligence report obtained by Yahoo News.

“Inspection of the writing on the vials and the stated recipient led inspection personnel to believe the materials contained within the vials may be viable Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) materials,” the report said.

The report, written by the Chemical and Biological Intelligence Unit of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate (WMDD), does not give the name of the Chinese scientist carrying the suspected SARS and MERS samples, or the intended recipient in the U.S. But the FBI concluded that the incident, and two other cases cited in the report, were part of an alarming pattern.

“The Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate assesses foreign scientific researchers who transport undeclared and undocumented biological materials into the United States in their personal carry-on and/or checked luggage almost certainly present a US biosecurity risk,” reads the report. “The WMDD makes this assessment with high confidence based on liaison reporting with direct access.”

The report, which came out more than two months before the World Health Organization learned of a cluster of pneumonia cases in Wuhan that turned out to be COVID-19, appears to be part of a larger FBI concern about China’s involvement with scientific research in the U.S..While the report refers broadly to foreign researchers, all three cases cited involve Chinese nationals.

There have been numerous reports that the coronavirus may have emerged from a lab in Wuhan, China. In February, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology put out a directive titled: “Instructions on strengthening biosecurity management in microbiology labs that handle advanced viruses like the novel coronavirus.”

It turns out that in all of China there is only one such lab, the New York Post wrote. “And this one is located in the Chinese city of Wuhan that just happens to be . . . the epicenter of the epidemic.”

That’s right. China’s only Level 4 microbiology lab that is equipped to handle deadly coronaviruses, called the National Biosafety Laboratory, is part of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

What’s more, the People’s Liberation Army’s top expert in biological warfare, a Maj. Gen. Chen Wei, was dispatched to Wuhan at the end of January to help with the effort to contain the outbreak.

According to the PLA Daily, Gen. Chen has been researching coronaviruses since the SARS outbreak of 2003, as well as Ebola and anthrax. This would not be her first trip to the Wuhan Institute of Virology either, since it is one of only two bioweapons research labs in all of China.

Horowitz: Why is the administration preparing to bring in 85,000 foreign workers after shutting down our economy?

We are told that every business and many vital services, including many medical services, must be shut down indefinitely because of Anthony Fauci’s capricious and ever-evolving models and simulations. Do those same models and simulations also dictate that, with unemployment likely blowing out the Great Depression levels, we must continue to bring in more foreign workers?

Nearly all “non-essential” businesses are suspended in nearly every county of the country. Yet now, because immigration policy has been outsourced to former visa lobbyists like Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf, one thing will not be shut down during this man-made economic Hiroshima: foreign workers, including those from … China!

When I warned last week about the H-1B lottery and the need to cancel it on April 1, I didn’t really think my notice was necessary. After all, how could an “America first” administration conduct such a foreign worker lottery while shutting down the entire economy for Americans? Nonetheless, I published the article for good measure. Well, it’s a shame 1,000 other conservatives didn’t post similar warnings, because “America first” has now become “India and China first.”

On April 1, USCIS considered bringing in more Chinese workers an “essential” function and opened registration for the first day of the visa lottery. Every year, 85,000 H-1B visas are awarded via this lottery, and on the first day it was already saturated with 275,000 applications from corporations, a 37 percent increase over last year. Those chosen will be eligible to come here in fiscal year 2021 beginning this October. Of course, 67 percent was monopolized by Indian nationals, which is why we have lost our tech industry to foreign powers. Roughly 36,300 applications, though, were from, you guessed it, Chinese nationals!

Obviously, this doesn’t mean Chinese nationals will necessarily be chosen, but they have typically composed roughly 13 percent of the annual lottery. And it’s not like this administration is placing a moratorium on Chinese visas until the Chinese government comes clean on the cover-up of the China virus.

Bringing in any foreign workers, much less Chinese ones, at a time like this is akin to doubling our immigration from Saudi Arabia after 9/11. Ooops … we actually did that, but I digress.

This is not to cast aspersions on the Chinese people as a whole. But as long as the evil communist government is ruling that country, our current policies put us at their mercy in times like this in three ways.

China is our #2 source of immigrants and #1 source of foreign students. China is historically the source of many viral outbreaks, and there is no reason to believe that will change in the future. This has created a huge amount much travel back and forth, making us vulnerable to any virus they spread from China.
Through the pipeline of monopolizing our universities and then through worker visas and green cards, the Chinese government uses many of its nationals to spy, steal our technology, and then bring the expertise back home, which encourages outsourcing.
Once China accomplishes 1 and 2, the Chinese government has us around the neck, because all of our critical medical and other supply lines trace back to the very source of the viral outbreaks.

We now know that China destroyed evidence and covered up critical information that could have given the world weeks of head start in blocking travel and bending the curve. How in the world can we allow China to own our universities, our immigration system, and our supply chains, knowing the Chinese government’s intentions and knowing how it has unleashed an economic and health care version of 9/11 on us?

Finally, putting China aside, we had 10 million unemployment claims filed just in two weeks. If you account for those who have had wages or hours cut, that includes 39 percent of all adults in the country! And we are just three weeks into this. The bipartisan political elites, sadly, including this administration, want this to go on for much longer. Under what sort of morality or model can this action be justified? Don’t tell me Fauci’s models show that bringing in more foreign workers will also save more lives too!

Further appalling is that, thanks to the misguided strategy of this universal shutdown, many nurses are being furloughed across the country. Among the other sacred foreign work permit programs promoted by some of these same administration officials is Optional Practical Training (OPT), which brings in numerous foreign nurses here as students. Employers facing a massive pool of unemployed Americans will be incentivized to hire them because, under the lawless, unauthorized OPT program, they don’t have to pay payroll taxes. Why wouldn’t Trump immediately suspend the OPT program?

It’s not that nothing good is coming out of the administration on immigration. Illegal immigration is finally being stopped at the border the way it should have been three years ago, and after much pressure from people like Tucker Carlson, it looks like the DHS will delay plans to bring in more low-skilled H-2B workers.

Which illuminates the salient point of this administration. There are good patriots like Acting CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan and Acting Deputy DHS Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, and their work is reflected in some of the positive developments. But then there are people like Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who represent the opposite worldview to the one Trump campaigned on, and their work is reflected in the bulk of the negative policy outcomes.

The moral of the story is that conservatives with influence can’t hope that Trump drains the swamp; they must demand it. And that begins with the shallow state within the administration itself.

Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Stephen Smith shared some very exciting news Wednesday night on The Ingraham Angle.

Dr. Smith revealed that in his treatment of coronavirus patients he has not seen a single patient severely affected under the age of 70 who was not diabetic, pre-diabetic or obese.

Dr. Stephen Smith: The more we see this disease, the more we understand that severe rapid COVID disease especially is in diabetics or prediabetics. We have 19 or 20 patients who are intubated. And 18 of the 20 are diabetic. And two are prediabetic. We don’t have anybody who’s been intubated in our group of over 80 now that was not diabetic or pre-diabetic that was intubated. We’ve seen younger patients with severe disease that have a very high BMI. We have patients that are over 300 pounds. We’ve seen a lot of it. And just now I think the world is catching up to this. A Seattle group published their data in the New England Journal of Medicine saying 58% of their ICU code patients were diabetic and that their average BMI was 33 which is morbidly obese. That fits with our data. What people haven’t focused on yet is that pre-diabetics are also at risk, especially if they have a high BMI. We haven’t had anyone under 70 who didn’t have a high BMI or was pre-diabetic get seriously ill.

Dr. Stephen Smith then later pointed out that not a single coronavirus patient under his care who was on the hydroxychloroquine regimen needed to be intubated.

Everyone agrees that states have broad internal police power to take action to stop the spread of a public health crisis. You know, kind of like the federal government has power to stop the security and health crisis at our border, yet failed to act upon it for over a year. But are there no limits whatsoever to these internal powers? Can any governor or county executive simply flick his pen and shut every business even if it doesn’t create crowds? Can they unilaterally restrict every aspect of the Bill of Rights indefinitely without any oversight, due process, benchmarks, or transparency?

In Jacobson v. Massachusetts (1905), the Supreme Court ruled, “It is within the police power of a State to enact a compulsory vaccination law, and it is for the legislature, and not for the courts, to determine.” It therefore held that the state’s mandatory vaccine against smallpox was within its constitutional authority. This built upon the established concept alluded to in the landmark Gibbons v. Ogden (1824) case that “reasonable regulations established directly by legislative enactment as will protect the public health and the public safety.”

However, that same court made it clear that there is a point where states can enact policies in “such an arbitrary, unreasonable manner, or might go so far beyond what was reasonably required for the safety of the public” that they would be outside constitutional bounds.

A vaccine is a onetime action that helps an entire community. But what about governors and mayors holding press conferences every day trying to outdo each other with broad, arbitrary, and indefinite restrictions on people’s movement outside their homes with few exceptions, even when they never tested positive for the virus? Traditionally, our quarantine laws throughout history were targeted to those who had the disease or to those aliens or even Americans landing at a port of entry, not applied against an entire state.

It is true that in Compagnie Francaise de Navigation a Vapeur v. Louisiana State Board of Health (1902), the Supreme Court sided with a Louisiana quarantine law barring even healthy people from entering the ports of an infected part of the state. However, even there it was not a shelter-in-place law against every single citizen already residing in the state; rather, it walled off certain parts of the state from new entrants, primarily foreign nationals, disembarking from ships.

We’ve simply never done this before in our history. These are not mere quarantine laws that supporters cite to justify what is going on today. Quarantine laws traditionally separate an individual or an entire group of people from the general population. What we are doing now, however, is locking down the entire general population.

Whether they use the term or not, governors are ordering nothing short of martial law, shutting down nearly all businesses and churches to the point that there will be no public services for Easter and Passover under any circumstance, and unemployment will surpass the levels of the Great Depression. Yes, there are times when that might be necessary, but the question should require a debate, transparency, time limits, and the production of more evidence about the value of these additional measures, which will undoubtedly grow legs in the coming days.

One might retort that in this circumstance, with modern travel, the disease is already rampant everywhere. But that is circular logic. In that case, it casts doubt on the entire premise of categorical lockdown, given that this has already spread to every state. Locking everyone down indoors is not a proven method of quarantine in this circumstance, where the virus is already ubiquitous.

Moreover, most of the past court cases were over clearly constructed statutes. These edicts are nothing more than memos unilaterally drawn up by governors and mayors every few days. They are arbitrarily constructed and enforced. Mass transit, the ultimate virus spreader, is still open, yet single businesses with few people in the office are closed, and individuals just driving alone in their cars for pleasure or strolling in a state park can get pulled over by a cop. Marijuana shops are considered essential in California, but not gun shops. So many important medical procedures are banned, while abortion in many states is still considered “essential.”

There’s got to be some limit. As the Supreme Court said in the landmark Shelton v. Tucker (1960) case, “Even [when] the governmental purpose [is] legitimate and substantial, that purpose cannot be pursued by means that broadly stifle fundamental personal liberties when the end can be more narrowly achieved.” It can’t be unlimited and indiscriminate, and pronouncing the death penalty on jobs, the economy, and the mental health of hundreds of millions of people is as broad as it gets.

Remember, these governors are just getting warmed up. We’re only two weeks into this phase. At this pace, if we don’t rise up and demand answers, there is no limit to what these politicians might do with their divine right of kings. It’s appalling that Congress and state legislatures are in recess indefinitely, as random executives – from governors and mayors to county supervisors and sheriffs – rule the nation by fiat. It’s time for some real debate and accountability with public input and hearings (remotely, if needed).

All of us are willing to sacrifice for public safety – a lot. But there are limits, and there are serious questions about whether those sacrifices are even helping, or in some instances, downright hurting. Either way, we will never recover from this devastating blow to liberty.

As Patrick Henry warned in 1788, “Show me that age and country where the rights and liberties of the people were placed on the sole chance of their rulers being good men, without a consequent loss of liberty! I say that the loss of that dearest privilege has ever followed, with absolute certainty, every such mad attempt.”

Left-wing officials angry that ‘anti-LGBTQ’ Franklin Graham, Samaritan’s Purse are helping NYC coronavirus victims. Officials get smacked right down.

Upon hearing the news that Samaritan’s Purse — the relief organization run by Christian evangelist Franklin Graham — is coming to the aid of coronavirus victims in New York City by setting up a temporary hospital in Central Park, a couple of officials were none too pleased.

Who are the officials, and what did they say?

First up was New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, who tweeted a statement berating the development: “Franklin Graham has a long history of spewing anti-LGBTQ hate speech, and I find it extremely troubling that he and his organization are involved in our relief efforts in any way. New York City is known around the world for its embrace of diversity, and Franklin Graham has spent his career standing against these values. I will be monitoring this situation closely and making sure that our city’s values are being represented at all times.”

Then there was New York state Sen. Brad Hoylman, who tweeted that “it’s a shame that the federal government has left New York with no other choice but to accept charity from bigots.”In a statement on his official Senate page, Hoylman called Graham a “notorious anti-LGBTQ pastor”and said he put Graham “on notice” that Samaritan’s Purse must “treat all COVID-19 patients equally at the new medical tents.”

Here’s Hoylman’s full statement:

COVID-19 doesn’t discriminate, and neither should Franklin Graham. It’s unacceptable that a New Yorker infected with COVID-19 could be subjected to discriminatory treatment from an organization whose leader calls us “immoral” and “detestable.”

Today I’m calling on Franklin Graham to publicly assure LGBTQ New Yorkers that they will receive the same treatment as anyone else at the Central Park field hospital. The City of New York and the Mount Sinai hospital network must monitor conditions closely at Graham’s facility and ensure every single LGBTQ patient is treated fairly. We cannot abandon our moral compass in the middle of a pandemic.

Sadly, beggars can’t be choosers: New York needs every ventilator we can get. But homophobic pastor Franklin Graham and his field hospital operation in Central Park must guarantee all LGBTQ patients with COVID-19 are treated with dignity and respect.

We’ll be watching.

What was the reaction?

While Johnson and Hoylman tickled a few itching ears with their decidedly virtue-signaling statements, quite a few others found their words rather, er, prejudiced:

“The vast majority of voters see this as a group of well intended people bringing hope and light into a dark place right now. Put the partisan politics aside for a season and be thankful for the people willing to serve NYC. This is not the time to score political points sir.”
“Now we can all really see where the actual hate comes from.”
“As a gay New Yorker, I’d like to sit down with them over a cup of coffee and thank them for putting themselves in harm’s way. That’s how change of heart happens. They are risking their lives. We should be grateful.”
“It’s a shame that idiots like you would rather people die than have someone you don’t agree with help them.”
“Christians build a free hospital to help New Yorkers survive this crisis and you complain? Despicable.”
“Whose the bigot? Christians believe what they believe. Get over it. They love people they disagree with. Even you!”
“Let it go. They are compassionate and want to help. Now who’s the bigot?”
“Virtue-signaling boob.”
“And spare us your woke outrage. Holding a sincerely held religious belief about marriage (I personally think his scripture read is wrong) is not the same as hate speech. Your religious intolerance in the name of wokeness is a bigger threat to our republic.”
“It’s pretty clear who’s there to help New Yorkers and who’s there to mouth off on twitter and do absolutely nothing.”

How did Graham respond?

“We do not make distinctions about an individual’s religion, race, sexual orientation, or economic status. We certainly do not discriminate, and we have a decades-long track record that confirms just that,” Graham told NBC News in a statement. “This is a time for all of us to unite and work together, regardless of our political views. Let’s support one another during this crisis, and we pray that God will bless the efforts of all those battling this vicious virus.”

When the after-action report on the current pandemic is being prepared, I’m going to ask the guy with the notepad to write down: “China” and “globalists.”

Those words won’t be on Trump’s list. He can’t stop gushing about how much he respects China and the American companies that have outsourced jobs there. Even as China withholds vital medical supplies, he refuses to end our suicidal dependence on them. His one slight annoyance with China is that it lied about the Wuhan virus, allowing the disease to explode across the globe.

I have a longer list of complaints, beginning with the fact that they eat bats. The resulting pandemic now raging through our country would be bad enough, but our new crisis is a shortage of medical equipment. Too bad we shipped all our manufacturing to China! Not to worry, surely China wouldn’t disrupt the sacred “global supply chain.”

Oops. China is stockpiling masks and ventilators.

And there’s more good news! China makes more than 90% of our antibiotics, vitamin C, ibuprofen and hydrocortisone, 70% of acetaminophen, and 40% to 45% of heparin, according to The New York Times. The last American penicillin plant closed more than 15 years ago. In early March, the Chinese government ominously warned that if China stopped exporting drugs, “the United States would sink into the hell of a novel coronavirus epidemic.”

For decades, people like Trump’s trade director Peter Navarro have warned us that something like this would happen someday. But we were condescendingly told, This is capital seeking the most efficient market! And, anyway, if China screws with us, we’ll just make it ourselves.

Really? With broken-down buildings, a dispossessed workforce and no machinery? Unfashionable working-class people in the industrial Midwest were discarded long ago. They may as well have had “obsolete” stamped on their foreheads. But I notice that you, Wall Street, made a lot of money off of globalization.

Oh, did I? I didn’t notice!

What happened to your vaunted concern for China’s human rights violations — the Uyghurs, the Falun Gong, Tibet, child labor?

You should see my place in the Hamptons!

Even before China gave us this latest viral disease — not to be confused with H1N1, Asian flu, SARS and bird flu, also from China — one of the most frequent questions about Amazon products was: “Is this made in China?”

Obviously, a lot of consumers would happily pay more to know that something is made in the USA — or at least not in China. We’d like to support our fellow Americans. We also prefer products that don’t kill the family pet, instantly fall apart or risk being embargoed during a viral pandemic.

How about that search refinement, Amazon? “Made in USA — including constituent parts” or “0% Chinese.” I’d wager these would be more popular than the hundreds of other search parameters, such as star ratings, price, manufacturer, “prime,” calories, gluten-free and so on.

Not a chance. The globalists are making a lot of money selling us crappy products, manufactured in a culturally backward, totalitarian regime with zero quality control and absolutely no interest in the well-being of our country. Why hasn’t Trump seized on this nightmare of the New World Order to fulfill a campaign promise and bring manufacturing home? Where are the massive tariffs on Chinese goods and the “Buy American” programs? How about telling Ivanka, No, you are not going to make it even more expensive for companies to hire Americans with this ridiculous Paid Family Medical Leave Act! In fact, we’re going to seek the repeal of all laws that create jobs only for trial lawyers.

Even a lot of the American companies we’re so proud of for stepping up to make masks in this crisis … are making them in China. (New York Times, March 13, 2020: “A General Motors joint venture in southwestern China built 20 of its own mask-making machines and began bulk production.”)

Trump’s reaction? Flatter China so they’ll keep buying our soybeans. Maybe they’ll throw Jared some business!

Nearly a month ago, The New York Times reported that Trump was “preparing an executive order, which could be released in the coming days,” requiring the federal government to buy American-made pharmaceuticals. It apparently went into the same file as that executive order on anchor babies. We’re still waiting.

Navarro had the executive order ready to go, but then dozens of pharmaceutical companies lobbied against it, arguing that “a diverse pharmaceutical supply chain is precisely what enables the industry to respond quickly and make adjustments in its supply chain sourcing during natural emergencies and global public health crises.”

China: If we cut you off, America, you’ll be in hell.

The Big Pharma lobbyists also noted that Trump’s (idle) threat for America to make its own drugs “could run afoul of commitments it made under the WTO’s Government Procurement Agreement.”

NO! WE CAN’T VIOLATE THE WTO’S GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT AGREEMENT!

Trump is the president of the United States. Either he is responsible for a monstrous virus arriving on our shores and destroying our economy — or China is. I expected the media to say, “Trump!” I didn’t expect Trump to agree.

Van Dam then essentially asked Allen to picture a world where people are forced to live under permanent government control in order to save the planet from climate change.

“Can you imagine if our response to the climate crisis equaled that of the robust nature of the COVID-19 response? Where would we be, Natalie?” he asked.

“I know. That’s a very good question that we all should ponder. And I’m with you,” Allen responded. “I’ve been marveling at the blue sky in Atlanta. It’s just been magnificent.”

In a conference call with the AJC, the Georgia House’s three top Democratic leaders backed Rhonda Taylor, a community activist who is challenging Jones in the June primary. House Minority Leader Bob Trammell said he is sending her a check immediately.

“We’re not sure what was on Vernon’s mind. It’s antithetical to what we believe in,” said state Rep. James Beverly, D-Macon, the chairman of the party’s House caucus. “We can’t support an ideology that’s diametrically opposed to who we are and what we value.”
