Bilderberg 2015: Journalists Capture Video Footage Inside Conference Room During Lockdown

While many have labeled people who follow and see connections with Bilderbergers and global politics as conspiracy theorists, the reality is that they are joined at the hip. In years past, global leaders, including American politicians have been found to attend Bilderberg meetings. Often, many attendees’ names don’t even appear on the guest list. This year, to investigative journalists got inside the Bilderberg hotel and provided video footage before being kicked out.

Breaking through the lockdown around the hotel, Luke Rudkowski and Dan Dicks were able to film footage both inside and outside the hotel throughout the 2 days that they were there.

Rudkowski and Dicks were apparently able to infiltrate the hotel due to the fact that they had press credentials from the G7 and that members of the White House Press Corps were staying at the hotel before Bilderberg to cover the nearby G7 meetings.

During their stay in the hotel they were able to speak with some of the White House reporters who apparently admitted, off the record, that they worked in journalism for the money rather than actually exposing the truth.

“It vindicated everything I thought about the mainstream media,” Rudkowski said in the video.

Rudkowski, of We Are Change, and Dicks, of Press for Truth, provided the video and also took time to explain just how they infiltrated the hotel. It’s sort of reminiscent of how Alex Jones did the same thing concerning Bohemian Grove.

The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, Bilderberg meetings or Bilderberg Club is an annual private conference of about 120–150 political leaders and experts from industry, finance, academia and the media, established in 1954.[2][3] About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America; one third from politics and government and the rest from other fields.[2][4]

Origin[edit]

The first conference was held at the Hotel de Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, Netherlands, from 29 to 31 May 1954. It was initiated by several people, including Polish politician-in-exile Józef Retinger, concerned about the growth of anti-Americanism in Western Europe, who proposed an international conference at which leaders from European countries and the United States would be brought together with the aim of promoting Atlanticism—better understanding between the cultures of the United States and Western Europe to foster co-operation on political, economic and defense issues.[5]

Retinger approached Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands who agreed to promote the idea, together with former Belgian Prime Minister Paul Van Zeeland, and the then head of Unilever, Dutchman Paul Rijkens. Bernhard in turn contacted Walter Bedell Smith, then head of the CIA, who asked Eisenhower adviser Charles Douglas Jackson to deal with the suggestion.[6] The guest list was to be drawn up by inviting two attendees from each nation, one of each to represent conservative and liberal points of view.[5] Fifty delegates from 11 countries in Western Europe attended the first conference, along with 11 Americans.[7]

The success of the meeting led the organizers to arrange an annual conference. A permanent steering committee was established with Retinger appointed as permanent secretary. As well as organizing the conference the steering committee also maintained a register of attendee names and contact details with the aim of creating an informal network of individuals who could call upon one another in a private capacity.[8] Conferences were held in France, Germany, and Denmark over the following three years. In 1957 the first US conference was held on St. Simons Island, Georgia, with $30,000 from the Ford Foundation. The foundation also supplied funding for the 1959 and 1963 conferences.[6]

Activities and goals[edit]

The group´s original goal of promoting Atlanticism has grown; In 2001, Denis Healey, a Bilderberg group founder and, a steering committee member for 30 years, said: “To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair. Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”[9]

According to former chairman Étienne Davignon in 2011, a major attraction of Bilderberg group meetings is that they provide an opportunity for participants to speak and debate candidly and to find out what major figures really think, without the risk of off-the-cuff comments becoming fodder for controversy in the media.[10] A 2008 press release from the “American Friends of Bilderberg” stated that “Bilderberg’s only activity is its annual Conference and that at the meetings, no resolutions were proposed, no votes taken, and no policy statements issued”. [11] However in November 2009 the group hosted a dinner meeting at the Château of Val-Duchesse in Brussels ouside its annual conference to promote the candidacy of Herman Van Rompuy for President of the European Council.[12]

Meetings are organized by a steering committee with two members from each of approximately 18 nations.[13] Official post include a chairmanan and a Honorary Secretary General.[14] the group’s rules do not contain a membership category but former participants receive the annual conference reports.[15] The only category that exists is “member of the Steering Committee”.[16] Besides the committee, there is a separate advisory group with overlapping membership.[17]

Dutch economist Ernst van der Beugel became permanent secretary in 1960, upon Retinger’s death. Prince Bernhard continued to serve as the meeting’s chairman until 1976, the year of his involvement in the Lockheed affair. The position of Honorary American Secretary General has been held successively by Joseph E. Johnson of the Carnegie Endowment, William Bundy of Princeton, Theodore L. Eliot, Jr., former US Ambassador to Afghanistan, and Casimir A. Yost of Georgetown University’s Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.[18]

According to James A. Bill the “steering committee usually met twice a year to plan programs and to discuss the participant list”.[19]

A 2008 press release from the “American Friends of Bilderberg” stated that the names of attendees were available to the press.[11] Historically, attendee lists have been weighted towards bankers, politicians, and directors of large businesses.[28]

Heads of state, including King Juan Carlos I of Spain and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, have attended meetings.[14][29] Prominent politicians from North America and Europe are past attendees. In past years, board members from many large publicly traded corporations have attended, including IBM, Xerox, Royal Dutch Shell, Nokia and Daimler.[14]

The 2009 meeting participants in Greece included Greek prime minister Kostas Karamanlis, Finnish prime minister Matti Vanhanen,[30] Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt, US Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, US Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner, World Bank president Robert Zoellick, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, Queen Sofia of Spain, and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.[31]

In 2013, a source involved in the planning for the group’s meeting that year in Watford, UK, was reported to have said that people whose names are not publicly issued may sometimes turn up “just for the day”.[32]

Founded in 1954, Bilderberg is an annual conference designed to foster dialogue between Europe and North America. Every year, between 120-150 political leaders and experts from industry, finance, academia and the media are invited to take part in the conference. About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America; approximately one third from politics and government and the rest from other fields.

The conference is a forum for informal discussions about major issues facing the world. The meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor of any other participant may be revealed.

Thanks to the private nature of the conference, the participants are not bound by the conventions of their office or by pre-agreed positions. As such, they can take time to listen, reflect and gather insights.

There is no desired outcome, no resolutions are proposed, no votes are taken, and no policy statements are issued.

Bilderberg Agenda Revealed: Elite Desperate to Rescue Unipolar World

The 2014 Bilderberg meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark is taking place amidst a climate of panic for many of the 120 globalists set to attend the secretive confab, with Russia’s intransigence on the crisis in Ukraine and the anti-EU revolution sweeping Europe posing a serious threat to the unipolar world order Bilderberg spent over 60 years helping to build.

Inside sources confirm to Infowars that the elite conference, which will take place from Thursday onwards at the five star Marriott Hotel, will center around how to derail a global political awakening that threatens to hinder Bilderberg’s long standing agenda to centralize power into a one world political federation, a goal set to be advanced with the passage of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), which will undoubtedly be a central topic of discussion at this year’s meeting.

The TTIP represents an integral component of Bilderberg’s attempt to rescue the unipolar world by creating a “world company,” initially a free trade area, which would connect the United States with Europe. Just as the European Union started as a mere free trade area and was eventually transformed into a political federation which controls upwards of 50 per cent of its member states’ laws and regulations with total contempt for national sovereignty and democracy, TTIP is designed to accomplish the same goal, only on a bigger scale.

The deal is being spearheaded by Obama’s U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman, a Wall Street insider and a CFR member, Bilderberg’s sister organization. Froman is simultaneously helping to build another block of this global government, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which is a similar project involving Asian countries.

Given that Bilderberg schemed to create the Euro single currency as far back as 1955 (Bilderberg chairman Étienne Davignon bragged about how the Euro single currency was a brainchild of the Bilderberg in 2009 interview), the results of the European elections are sure to have stirred outright alarm amongst Bilderberg globalists who are aghast that their planned EU superstate is being eroded as a result of a populist resistance mainly centered around animosity towards uncontrolled immigration policies.

In Denmark itself, the buzz is centered around Morten Messerschmidt and the Danish People’s party, which won 27% of the vote in the Euro elections and doubled its number of MEPs. Although some are wary of Messerschmidt’s far right inclinations, his success reflects a general resentment not only in Denmark but across Europe towards immigration and the welfare state, concerns that the EU has only exasperated.

Meanwhile in France, Marine Le Pen is carving out a role as the face of a conservative movement that threatens “to break up one united Europe,” with her European election win being described as an “earthquake” that has rattled the political heart of Europe.

Voters in the United Kingdom also delivered a thumping rejection of the EU and in turn Bilderberg with the success of Nigel Farage and UKIP, a Euroskeptic triumph some are labeling the “most extraordinary” election result for 100 years.

As well as TTIP and the fallout from the European election disaster, Bilderberg will be tackling a number of other key issues, most of which will revolve around the continued effort to centralize economic power under several different guises, including a carbon tax paid directly to the United Nations, with the financial hit being taken by individuals as big companies are granted special “waivers” that will allow them to continue to pollute.

The rumbling crisis in Ukraine and the relationship between Russia and NATO will also be a focal point of Bilderberg 2014. Globalists now consider Vladimir Putin to have ostracized Russia from the new world order because he dared to “challenge the international system,” as John Kerry put it.

Bilderberg will discuss fears that Putin is intent on constructing an alternative world order based around the BRICS countries, a “multi-polar” system that would devastate the dollar as the world reserve currency and also heavily dilute the current US-EU-NATO power axis.

Black lives matter in Baltimore? Not to the black leadership in Baltimore they don’t. Freddie Gray was a punk with at least 17 arrests to his credit. He was not all that long out of prison and was facing felony charges that could send him back to prison when he ran from the cops in April and was arrested.

Gray was taken into custody, appears to have been bounced around in the back of a police van, sustained injuries while in custody and died from those injuries. We haven’t seen, and if the prosecutor, Marilyn Mosby has anything to do with it we won’t see, the results of any investigations into the conduct of the officers charged in his death.

Here’s what we do know though. Cops are tired of being assaulted by the thugs in the black community and then being arrested or hounded off the force when they do their jobs. The net result? Here it is.

In May, with a record 42 murders in the city, arrests dropped from about 3,700 in 2014 to just over a 1,000 this year. And as for June’s murders, after 8 days there have been 13 murders in Baltimore. We’ve not been able to find a listing of the dead by race, but we’d bet out of the 55 murders since May 1 a minimum of 54 were black. The “leadership” in the black community isn’t smart enough to realize that by calling the cops off crime is going to go up, and the people who will be real victims will be members of their own “community.”

“There’s enough narcotics on the streets of Baltimore to keep it intoxicated for a year,” Batts said Wednesday. “That amount of drugs has thrown off the balance on the streets of Baltimore.” (This is, City Paper notes, a bit exaggerated.) Batts also said that officers have been patrolling in pairs rather than the normal solo beats, which effectively halves the number of patrols.

The FOP offers a bleaker, though related, rationale for the decrease in arrests: Officers are afraid, its leader says. On the one hand, they’re beset by hostile citizens who carefully monitor every arrest, crowding around officers who are just trying to do their jobs and capturing the detentions on camera, lest they turn into another Freddie Gray situation. On the other hand, police are also afraid a prosecutor will haul them in front of a jury.Call-911

The armed force that is responsible to keep the peace in Baltimore believes the top of their chain-of-command is out to get the cops. We are more than willing to believe that there are more than a few cops in Baltimore – or any American city – who have no business being on the force. The problem is, what Mosby, etal, are doing is not the right way to root out the bad cops. All they’re doing is putting Baltimore’s most at risk citizens at even more risk.

One afternoon this past April, a Florida mom and dad I’ll call Cindy and Fred could not get home in time to let their 11-year-old son into the house. The boy didn’t have a key, so he played basketball in the yard. He was alone for 90 minutes. A neighbor called the cops, and when the parents arrived—having been delayed by traffic and rain—they were arrested for negligence.

They were put in handcuffs, strip searched, fingerprinted, and held overnight in jail.

It would be a month before their sons—the 11-year-old and his 4-year-old brother—were allowed home again. Only after the eldest spoke up and begged a judge to give him back to his parents did the situation improve.

I spoke with Cindy about her family’s horrible ordeal.

“My older one was the so-called ‘victim,'” she said during a phone interview. But since she and her husband were charged with felony neglect, the younger boy had to be removed from the home, too.

Here is the law: “A person who willfully or by culpable negligence neglects a child without causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or permanent disfigurement to the child commits a felony of the third degree.”

I first heard of Cindy’s case last week when she wrote to me at Free-Range Kids. Her email explained:

The authorities claim he had no access to water or shelter.  We have an open shed in the back yard and 2 working sinks and 2 hoses.  They said he had no food.  He ate his snacks already.  He had no bathroom, but the responding officer found our yard good enough to relieve himself in while our son sat in a police car alone.  In his own yard, in a state,  Florida, that has no minimum age for children to be alone.

The children were placed in foster care for two days while the state ran a background check on a relative who was willing to take them in. “Our first choice was my mother,” said Cindy. “But she lives in another state and so the kids would have been in foster care even longer until they cleared her.” The parents decided to have them placed with a slightly problematic in-state relative instead.

On the day they all appeared in children’s court to move the kids from foster care into the relative’s custody, Cindy thought her older son smelled a little strange.

“What have you been eating?” she asked.

“Cereal,” he replied.

Only cereal, for the past few days. That’s not going to kill anyone, obviously. But if you’re arresting parents for not supervising their kids for 90 minutes, it’s more than a little hypocritical.Liberalism a mental disorder 2

The boys went off with the relative. As Cindy and Fred were charged with a felony, they couldn’t cross the county line to go see them and the relative refused to bring them to visit. But after a few weeks, she got tired of taking care of the kids. “Unbeknownst to us,” said Cindy, “she was putting them back in state custody.” 

That’s when Child Protective Services asked the court to place the boys in foster care.

Last Tuesday, Cindy, Fred, their two kids, their lawyer, and a lawyer for CPS appeared again in children’s court. The opposing lawyers went into the judge’s chambers and came out every so often. The family’s lawyer explained what was going on. “They were arguing on whether or not the kids should go to foster care or with us,” said Cindy. This went on for hours.

But then, according to Cindy, “My son spoke up.” He said he wanted to talk to the judge.

Surprised, their lawyer asked the boy: Did he have the courage to go through with this? And would he tell the truth?

The boy said yes.

“He went back there and spoke to the judge for about ten minutes,” said Cindy. “And then the judge came out and called the two lawyers to the bench and talked to them for about 10 or 15 minutes. And with that, our lawyer came to us and said that if we admitted that we didn’t know that it was wrong to [let our son] stay in the backyard, but that we know now that it’s wrong and we will never let it happen again, and that we will explain this to our son, he would let the children come with us.”

Cindy and Fred promised. The judge released the kids and closed the case.

But that is not the end.

That was civil court. Next, Cindy and Fred will head to criminal court to plead “not guilty” to the neglect charge. Naturally, they hope the entire case will be dropped. In the meantime, to comply with all of the CPS dictates, Cindy and Fred are attending parenting classes. They are also going to therapy. The kids are attending “play” therapy.

This summer, as part of the deal, the older boy must attend day camp. The younger must attend day care. The reason, Cindy thinks, is that years ago there was a girl who disappeared while in foster care and it turned out that no one had been keeping track of her whereabouts. If kids attend day camp or daycare, their whereabouts will always be accounted for.

I asked Cindy how she and the kids spent last summer. “We did little projects, we would go to the beach,” she said. Or they would visit dad at work. She had been planning to enjoy another low key summer with them. Instead, she will be at home while her kids are in a program mandated by the state.

Cindy and Fred cannot be sure who called the cops and turned their lives upside down. (They have their suspicions.) But they do know who told them they needed to take parenting classes, get therapy, and promise never to let their kids play in their own backyard without a watchman again. They know who took their children away.

Gov. Greg Abbott, who signed a bill Thursday that allows clergy members to refuse to conduct marriages that violate their beliefs, said that “pastors now have the freedom to exercise their First Amendment rights.”

The signing ceremony for the so-called Pastor Protection Act, which goes into effect Sept. 1, was held outside the Governor’s Mansion. Abbott was surrounded by about two dozen clergy members at a news conference discussing the law. Others attending the signing ceremony included Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton and Sen. Craig Estes, R-Wichita Falls, who authored the bill.

“Freedom of religion is the most sacred of our rights and our freedom to worship is secured by the Constitution,” Abbott said. “Religious leaders in the state of Texas must be absolutely secure in the knowledge that religious freedom is beyond the reach of government or coercion by the courts.”

With the signing of the bill, “Texas took a small but important step to further protect the religious freedom of clergy in the face of increasing hostility toward people of faith in all walks of life,” Paxton said in a statement. “No Pastor, Priest, Rabbi or other religious leader should be forced to perform or recognize a marriage that contradicts his or her sincere religious belief.” 

Estes has said the bill is about protecting pastors “who have a strong religious belief “ against same-sex marriage.

State Rep. Celia Israel, D-Austin, said in a statement released Thursday that she believes it’s possible to support both equality and religious liberty.  “Texans are ready for equality, and if this measure gives pastors a peace of mind, I welcome it becoming law,” Israel said.

Critics had argued that Senate Bill 2065 attempts to make it difficult for same-sex couples to marry in Texas, in case the U.S. Supreme Court legalizes gay marriages.Picture1 freedom combo 2

On Thursday and Friday, June 11-12, there will be a gathering of some of the nation’s and the world’s leading climate change “skeptics” in Washington, D.C. and joining them will be members of Congress and their staffs. The Tenth International Conference on Climate Change will occur and the odds are that the mainstream media, as it has done for all the previous conferences, will do its best to ignore it.

In attendance as well will be scores of scientists, economists, and policy experts for a conference being held just two blocks from a White House in which the President of the United States resides while lying about “climate change” as the greatest threat to the planet.

In March, the Gallup Poll revealed that “Although climate scientists have been in the news describing this winter as a strong signal that global warming is producing more extreme weather, Americans are no more likely today (55%) than in the past two years to believe the effects of global warming are occurring.”

The Conference is sponsored by The Heartland Institute, a Chicago-based free-market think tank and, while most of us have heard of the Rand Corporation or the Heritage Foundation, Heartland is one of the those power houses that labors without the “image” accorded others.

Founded in 1984, it has a full-time staff of 31 with approximately 235 academics and professional economists who participate in its peer-review process, plus more than 160 elected officials who serve on its Legislative Forum. In addition to the environment, its scholars also focus on education, health, budget and tax issues. I have been a Heartland policy analyst for so long I can’t recall when I joined. Approximately 8,300 supporters contribute to its annual budget of $6 million. It does not accept government funding.

Without your knowing it, the nine conferences that preceded the current one have had a dramatic impact on your life and wallet. For one thing, you’re not being robbed by a “carbon tax” aimed at “reducing greenhouse gases.” On the other hand, you may be at risk of losing a coal-fired plant that provides your electricity if the Environmental Protection Agency is allowed to continue its vile attack on our energy resources.

It has been Heartland and a handful of other think tanks that labored to inform the public about the science that utterly debunked the lies about “global warming” and now works to do the same for those applied to “climate change.”  Heartland’s power is seen in its conferences.

The problem for Heartland and the rest of us is that we are up against the U.S. government whose Obama administration is completely committed to the lies; agency by agency within the government have budgets and programs to continue telling the lies. Beyond them is the entire system of government schools and, beyond them, much of the higher education community.burke

In early June the Daily Caller reported that “National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists have found a solution to the 15-year ‘pause’ in global warming: They ‘adjusted’ the hiatus in warming out of the temperature record.”  This is what Heartland and others have been fighting against and exposing since the global warming hoax began in the late 1980s. And we are beginning to see the Congress respond.

As reported by CNS News, appropriators in the House of Representatives have let it be known that they are taking aim at one of the Obama administration’s most cherished priorities—international climate change funding. An appropriations bill for the State Department and foreign operations excluded the Green Climate Fund, the Clean Technology Fund, and the Strategic Climate Fund, while also removing funding for the U.SN-backed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. That’s millions in U.S. taxpayer funding that will not be wasted on the climate change hoax.

The Conference will honor some of the world’s leading “skeptics”—the alarmists call them “denier.” They include Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) as the winner of the Political Leadership on Climate Change Award, sponsored by the Heritage Foundation. My friend, Robert M. Carter, Ph.D. will receive Heartland’s Lifetime Achievement in Climate Science award. Others whom you may not have heard of include William Happer, Ph.D., David Legates, Ph.D., and Anthony Watts, all of whom have been on the front lines of the battle for the truth about the planet’s climate. 

An entire generation has grown up and graduated from college since the first lies about global warming were unleashed. That’s how long Heartland and others have labored to present the truth. If the media fails to take notice of this week’s conference, you will know that the battle will continue for a long time to come.

Pastors say ‘We Don’t have to Obey the Supreme Court on Gay Marriage’

A Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage could be announced any day now, and pastors across the country are already saying they intend to break the law. The Supreme Court is expected to announce a ruling on state gay marriage bans this month that could, depending on the ruling’s wording, legalize same sex marriage nationwide. Anticipating the decision, religious leaders fear they’ll lose their tax exempt status and be forced to wed gay couples or face fines and even jail time.

A coalition of those religious leaders purchased an ad in the Washington Post Wednesday in the form of an open letter to the Supreme Court Justices urging them to uphold traditional marriage.

“We are Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox Christian pastors, clergy, lay leaders and Jewish leaders, who collectively represent millions of people in our specific churches, parishes, denominations, synagogues and media ministry outreaches,” the letter reads.

So far, more than 43,000 people have signed a petition supporting traditional marriage, many of them church leaders fearful that if gay marriage becomes constitutional, their refusal to participate will jeopardize their tax exempt status and even land them in legal trouble. Pastor Robert Jeffress, who signed the letter and leads a 12,000 member congregation at First Dallas Baptist Church, compared himself to Martin Luther King for his civil disobedience. “That may mean we experience jail time, loss of tax exempt status, but as the scripture says, we ought to obey God rather than man, and that’s our choice,” Jeffress told The Daily Caller News Foundation. Jeffress said when he announced to his congregation his decision to take a stand on the issue, they gave him a standing ovation.cp 11

Cases of legal punishment for bakers and florists who refused to serve gay weddings have fueled this fear. In Washington state, an elderly florist named Barronelle Stutzman was sued by a gay couple for discrimination after she refused to arrange flowers for their wedding. She lost the legal battle and could lose everything to pay the fines. Religious leaders have warily watched Stutzman and others like her and want to preemptively protect themselves. “We implore this court to not step outside of its legitimate authority and unleash religious persecution and discrimination against people of faith,” the letter reads. “We will be forced to choose between the state and our conscience, which is informed by clear biblical and church doctrine and the natural created order.”

gay supreme courtDuring oral arguments in April, Justice Antonin Scalia raised similar concerns asking if exemptions that protected religious leaders from prosecution for discrimination would still hold if gay marriage became a constitutional right. “But once it’s — it’s made a matter of constitutional law, those exceptions — for example, is it — is it conceivable that a minister who is authorized by the State to conduct marriage can decline to marry two men if indeed this Court holds that they have a constitutional right to marry? Is it conceivable that that would be allowed?” Scalia asked Bonauto. Scalia also questioned whether the state would give clergymen the authority to marry if they would refuse to marry gay couples. “If you let the States do it, you can make an exception,” Scalia said. “The state can say, yes, two men can marry, but — but ministers who do not believe in same-sex marriage will still be authorized to conduct marriages on behalf of the state. Inhofe: Climate change fight really about global control

James Inhofe (R-Okla.) told a conference of global warming skeptics Thursday that the fight against climate change is really about global control with little accountability. Inhofe, chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee and an outspoken climate skeptic, said he agreed with former French President Jacques Chirac’s statement that global warming “is the first component of authentic global governance.”
“The United Nations is the reason that this all came along. We all know that,” Inhofe told attendees at a conference organized by the Heartland Institute, the top climate skeptic think tank. “They want independence. They don’t want to be accountable to anybody, to the United States or any other country,” he said, explaining that global climate change policies would give the United Nations its own funding source and make it unaccountable to its member countries. Inhofe said that the U.N.’s 1997 Kyoto Protocol is “about leveling the playing field for big business worldwide,” and if bureaucrats control carbon emissions, “you control life.”Worship manditory

The Heartland Institute, along with the Heritage Foundation, gave Inhofe the Political Leadership on Climate Change Award for his work against environmental policies. In presenting the award, Jim DeMint, a former Republican senator and now president of Heritage, said Inhofe “has championed an ethic of rational conversation and conservatism that we must preserve our environment for the sake of people, not hurt them by entertaining ill-conceived doomsday prophecies which are neither honest nor scientific.”

In his speech opening the annual convention and accepting the award, Inhofe praised the institute’s members, saying they “are on the right side of the Lord on all of these things,” and God “will richly bless you for it.” He gave the attendees handouts that he said would help them rebut many of the arguments for why climate change is real and caused by humans, a position that 97 percent of climate scientists agree on. “These are old arguments that have been refuted over and over again,” he said, pointing specifically to arguments that ice in Antarctica is retreating and that the polar bear population is declining. “There is a problem with polar bears right now: It’s overpopulation,” he said. “If you look at the alarmists, [they say] the polar bears are disappearing. Well, that’s not quite true.”Gore

He specifically criticized the Obama administration’s policies, particularly the Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed carbon limits for power plants, and implied that EPA head Gina McCarthy is a liar and has no problem doing it. Inhofe noted that leaders in 32 states oppose the rule. “Two states, including my state of Oklahoma, have formally announced their intent just to say ‘no,’ because what they’re trying to do is illegal. And despite this, the president is choosing to ignore the will of Congress,” he said.

Inhofe also made reference to the time in February that he threw a snowball on the Senate floor to rebut climate change models. He’s been mocked repeatedly for the stunt by Democrats, including President Obama. The police ‘instant replay’

Instant replay has become invaluable in sports. It greatly improves the ability of game officials to get the call right. The inconvenience of the delay is offset by the advantages of applying the rules accurately and fairly. Instant replay also benefits from a controlled environment of perfect camera angles, definitive rules and expert reviewers.

The latest application of instant replay and, as a result, instant analysis, is police work. The country watched the phone-shot video multiple times of the police responding to teenagers fighting at a pool party in McKinney, Texas. Attention focused on Officer Eric Casebolt, who shoved a 14-year-old girl to the ground and pulled his gun. Police Chief Greg Conley said Casebolt’s actions were “indefensible” and that the officer had resigned.

We’ll agree with the chief on this and defer to his judgment. However it’s worth noting what did not happen at the chaotic scene; the officer didn’t shoot anyone or even fire his weapon and no one was injured. There are suggestions of racism—the officer is white and the teenage victim is black—but there is conflicting evidence as to what role, if any, race played in the police actions.

But the larger question is this: Why is this a national story worthy of several days of headline coverage? There are a couple of reasons:

  • First, there is compelling video. The fact that people are watching drives the agenda in a competitive environment.
  • Second, it fits the current storyline that “the police” are out of control.
  • Third, the race card can be played easily.Picture2

We have a real-life instant replay where news consumers are likely to make their own judgments about the decisions made by the police and others seen in the video.

WVLY’s Howard Monroe told me on “Talkline” Wednesday he believes this is a good thing because it exposed the actions of an overzealous officer and serves as a warning to other police of what not to do.  But Fox News digital politics editor Chris Stirewalt offered on the same program that subjecting more behavior to such intense national scrutiny will have unintended consequences. “Here’s your dystopian fantasy for the future; it’s all on camera. Everything is recorded and you better do everything perfectly because if you do it wrong, you won’t get a chance to even things out.” And that, Stirewalt suggests, will lead to “cultural paralysis” nobody will do anything. That may be hyperbolic, but there is already evidence the intense scrutiny of police actions is leading to police inaction.Picture4

CNN interviewed two Baltimore police who spoke anonymously about police simply reacting to events instead of being pro-active because they’re afraid of making a mistake. “Even if you have a reasonable suspicion, nine out of 10 times that officer is going to keep on driving,” one officer said.

Manhattan Institute Senior Fellow Heather MacDonald wrote in the Wall Street Journal recently about the “Ferguson effect.” Violent crime is rising rapidly in major cities across the country as police disengage and the criminal element feels more empowered.

In sports, the instant replay resets the game back within the parameter of the rules. In police work the instant play can also be beneficial when it provides an accurate account of a serious event. However, if the McKinney, Texas, video is an example of where news coverage of the police is headed, where every action caught on video is subject to nationwide scrutiny, then the law enforcement game is going to change completely.Civil Race Both freedom combo 2

 I’m impressed by the coolness and steadiness of our media in suppressing any news about immigration. It’s as if they’ve built a triple-layer fence with border guards around immigration topics. And guess what? Their fence is working!

How many thousands of news stories have there been on Ferguson, ISIS, Chris Christie’s “Bridgegate” or men becoming women? 

But the media will never tell you about Mexicans gang-raping a lesbian in Richmond, California, an Indian immigrant in San Francisco importing 12-year-old girls he bought from their parents for sex, or three children being beheaded by Mexicans in Baltimore.

Don’t Americans have a right to know about the cultures flooding into our country?

This isn’t a natural transformation. It is purely the result of government policy. But our media don’t care to discuss the issue. In fact, they get mad whenever Americans find out what they’re doing with immigration. When Americans do think about immigration, they’re against it. In polls earlier this year, more Americans had a favorable opinion of North Korea than wanted to increase immigration. That’s why the media’s approach to immigration is to never talk about it.

Three times in the last decade, Democrats and Republicans conspired to grant illegal aliens amnesty. All three times, the American people rose up in blind rage and shut it down. The only way they were tipped off to the proposed amnesties was through the hard work of about three bloggers, four talk-radio hosts and the Drudge Report. The media will make absolutely sure we know about every immigrant who wins a spelling bee. It’s either important to know about who’s immigrating to this country or it’s not. If it’s important, then we have a right to be told not only about the spelling bee champions, but also about the child rapes, genital mutilations, welfare use and Medicaid scams of our recent immigrants.

But the media’s position is: If we don’t talk about immigration, it doesn’t exist.

Unfortunately, they’re right. Most people think about only what the media want them to think about. Everyone has developed a position on Ferguson, ISIS and gay marriage. This week, everyone has a position on a policeman’s confrontation with a black girl in a bikini at a pool party in Texas.Picture4

But no one is supposed to have an opinion about who gets to live, collect government benefits and vote in this country.

Whatever issue you think is more important than immigration, you’re wrong. Without our post-1965 immigration policy, Obama would never have been elected president. That means no Obamacare, no withdrawal of every last troop from Iraq, no playing footsie with the Iranians, no Eric Holder, no Fast and Furious, no IRS harassment of tea party groups, no Benghazi massacre — and on and on and on.

Democrats haven’t been able to persuade a majority of white people to vote for them in any presidential election since 1948, except the aberrational Democratic landslide in 1964. That’s why they had to bring in ringers. In addition to giving the Democrats tens of millions of new voters, our immigration policies have also brought in people who engage in charming traditional practices such as genital mutilations.Only Reason

In 2006, an Ethiopian immigrant living in Lawrenceville, Georgia, tried to cut off his 2-year-old daughter’s clitoris with a pair of scissors. The New York Times ran one tiny AP item on his conviction — on Page 19 — titled, “Man Convicted in Daughter’s Mutilation.” (Always look for “Man” in the headline to find the most appalling stories about immigrants.)

Thanks to decades of mass immigration from Africa and the Middle East, it is estimated that at least half a million girls living in the United States have been subjected to genital mutilation. (And that’s just one of the many ways immigrants are making our country more vibrant!)Picture5

One white male, Bruce Jenner, merely contemplates voluntary genital mutilation and gets 10,000 times more media attention than the hundreds of thousands of “American” girls being involuntarily subjected to this practice.

  • “Polls show Americans overwhelmingly support a ‘path to legalization’” —

ronald-wright-600A black pastor has threatened an ISIS-style attack against law enforcement in response to a video showing a Texas officer forcefully pinning a bikini-clad teenage girl and pulling a gun on a group of juveniles at a pool party.

A cell-phone video of the incident has gone viral. But now another video, equally disturbing to some, is starting to make the rounds.

Rev. Ronald Wright, executive director of Justice Seekers Texas, warned Americans in a press conference carried live by MSNBC that a domestic terror attack is coming. He spoke at a rally Monday outside the McKinney Police Department. “We’re setting the stage for a terrorist attack in this country. And the group is not going to be ISIS; it’s going to be USIS, us against these injustice law officers and people continuing to allow racism to grow into this city,” he said on Thursday.

Picture1According to its website, the Dallas-based Justice Seekers Texas was founded by Wright in February 2010 as a “Civil Rights and Social Justice Organization which focuses on Civil Rights and Social Justice (for all citizens), Education, Health, Employee Rights, Veterans Affairs, Domestic Violence, Juvenile Delinquency/Recidivism, Assisting ex-felons with employment opportunities, rights of the incarcerated, probationers, and parolees.”  Wright describes himself on the website as a civil-rights leader and community organizer for social-justice causes. He also serves as senior pastor of God’s Community Church of Joy.

WND reached out to Wright Tuesday to ask if he wanted to clarify his comments.

“I was talking about police involved in racial discrimination. I have always stood up for police; it’s not like I’m against all police, because we need the police. So it wasn’t a terroristic threat on police,” Wright told WND.

“But those that have refuse to stop this kind of injustice, it has to stop,” he said. “It wasn’t an attack on the police department, because all of the recent incidents against the police we’ve seen in the media; it wasn’t the fault of the police. When you actually looked at what happened, they were justified in acting the way they acted in some of those cases.”truth

Wright called on the mayor to fire the officer, Cpl. Eric Casebolt, who threw the 15-year-old girl to the ground and drew his weapon. Wright said his group has contacted the U.S. Justice Department and is having it monitor the situation. But on Tuesday, Casebolt resigned his position.

To Wright, that’s just more proof that he was guilty of unprofessional conduct, at least, and a criminal act at worse. “If this officer was right by what he did, why would you resign?” he asked.

Wright said he’s the type of activist who stands up against injustice, regardless of the victim’s color. “I stood up for a white police officer and their chief and fought for their chief because a black city councilwoman was picking on him, and she wouldn’t let up on him. What they did was, they took his salary off the city budget, and ended up paying it for the rest of the year … but we stood for him. I’m going to fight discrimination no matter what color you are.”Picture3

Wright also protested when a 52-year-old white man, Bobby Bennett, was gunned down by Dallas police in 2013, according to a Dallas Morning News report. Police said Bennett came at them with a knife, but a neighbor’s surveillance video did not support that narrative.

In the pool party case, Wright said there could also be more to the story, but from what he knows now, the officer was out of line.

“None of these children are perfect, but we’re reaping what we sow. They should have been more respectful. But when you can’t raise your children at home, and the government can’t raise them, what do you expect? You’re reaping what you sow,” he said. “Government is responsible for that. I’m not a hater of police, and everyone in Dallas knows that. They know I’ve stood up for their police department, but this could have been handled a lot better according to protocol.’

“And also I’m waiting for the 9-1-1 call to hear what was said. At the end of the day, that is going to determine if he was justified in acting the way he did. I’m hoping that is the fact rather than it being a racist move.”you should not

Wright said the nation is coming apart at the seams, racially, with race relations at a dismal level. “Why is it when this country is attacked, like on 9/11, we can all become brothers, we’re family,” he said, “then the minute it’s over we go back to the old mentality we have? Those who continue to do racial injustice are the ones I was talking about, not all police. I don’t hate police,” he said. “I support them.”Call-911

The original cell-phone video of the pool party Friday night went viral. The incident started when two individuals were involved in an altercation and the cops were called. A dozen officers responded. One, Casebolt, appeared to act more aggressively than the others, but some eyewitnesses said he acted reasonably given the chaos of the situation. WFAA-TV in Dallas reported that some of the parents whose children appeared in the viral video are angry that Casebolt not only used force, but cursed at the teens before pulling out his weapon.

Jahi Adisa Bakari’s daughter was at the pool party when chaos erupted. “The fact of the matter is, the officer recklessly attacks this young lady, who was following his instructions,” she told WFAA.

It’s Time for Pastors to Enter the Battle Against Tyranny

There are tens of millions of evangelical Christians in the United States, and millions do not participate in politics even though the Bible says that the civil magistrate is a “minister of God” (Rom. 13:4). Millions of these Christians don’t participate in the political process because their pastors are either afraid to address political issues or they believe that Christians would not get mixed up in politics.

Either reason is contrary to the Bible and the history of this once-great nation. “To the pulpit, the PURITAN PULPIT, we owe the moral force which won our Independence,”1 John Wingate Thornton wrote in The Pulpit of the American Revolution. Many Christians believe they can be neutral. But there is no neutrality. By not engaging culture at the political level, another worldview dominates and impacts all of us. We must then live under their standard, as we are doing today.

Founding American ministers of the gospel confronted the issues of their day by appealing to the people in terms of the Bible. The annual “Election Sermon” still “bears witness that our fathers ever began their civil year and its responsibilities with an appeal to Heaven, and recognized Christian morality as the only basis of good laws.”2 In addition, the clergy were often consulted by the civil authorities in the colonies, “and not infrequently the suggestions from the pulpit, on election days and other special occasions, were enacted into laws. The statute-book, the reflex of the age, shows this influence. The State was developed out of the Church.”3

The diminishing light of civil liberty in this land is linked directly to the lack of preaching on it in today’s pulpits. Dr. Alice Baldwin’s wonderful book The New England Pulpit and the American Revolution is a welcome antidote to the problem of a supposed neutrality, should we be willing to take it.

Dr. Baldwin illustrates how the preachers of the early American era thought and practiced just the opposite as today. Mountains of research in colonial sermons, tracts, pamphlets, and other publications, reveals how the pulpits of colonial America rang constantly on all aspects of the public square: good rulers, good laws, good forms of government, and the blessings of liberty. We especially hear of those choice values of biblical order that became the battle cries of American independence.

Commenting on the classic paraphrase of “life, liberty, and property,” Baldwin proclaims, 

No one can fully understand the American Revolution and the American constitutional system without a realization of the long history and religious associations which lie behind these words; without realizing that for a hundred years before the Revolution men were taught that these rights were protected by divine, inviolable law.

Covering the entire revolutionary era, she concludes that the central force behind it all was the pulpit’s application of the Word of God to politics and government. She says, “It must not be forgotten, in the multiplicity of authors mentioned, that the source of greatest authority and the one most commonly used was the Bible.” And she proves that “from the law of God they derived their political theories.”

It is long past time to recover the great and powerful preaching of our founding era—a time when pastors did not fear to preach politics, resist tyranny, and found their governments on biblical precepts. Dr. Baldwin’s nearly-forgotten book is a powerful resource toward that end. We recommend it to every pastor and every Christian in hope that they follow the example of its subject matter even more.burke

The Second Amendment to our U.S. Constitution states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

That statement is pretty clear to understand and comprehend, yet some folks just can’t seem to get over it. There are liberal progressive folks of the left who feel it is their mission in life to relegate the Second Amendment as meaningless. Now, what I am about to say will probably anger some people but so be it. 

I’m often asked about FEMA camps along the interstate, Walmart stores closing, and the impending Operation Jade Helm. I continue to tell people that while you’re running around with your hair on fire concerning yourself about these stories, the Obama administration is doing the “Kansas City Shuffle” — you look right while they go left.

Get a load of THIS quiet assault going on – not just on our Second Amendment, but our First as well.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Commonly used and unregulated internet discussions and videos about guns and ammo could be closed down under rules proposed by the State Department, amounting to a “gag order on firearm-related speech,” the National Rifle Association is warning.

“In updating regulations governing international arms sales, State is demanding that anyone who puts technical details about arms and ammo on the web first get the OK from the federal government — or face a fine of up to $1 million and 20 years in jail. According to the NRA, that would include blogs and web forums discussing technical details of common guns and ammunition, the type of info gun owners and ammo reloaders trade all the time.”

“Gunsmiths, manufacturers, reloaders, and do-it-yourselfers could all find themselves muzzled under the rule and unable to distribute or obtain the information they rely on to conduct these activities,” said the NRA in a blog posting. “This latest regulatory assault, published in the June 3 issue of the Federal Register, is as much an affront to the First Amendment as it is to the Second,” warned the NRA’s lobbying shop. “Your action is urgently needed to ensure that online blogs, videos, and web forums devoted to the technical aspects of firearms and ammunition do not become subject to prior review by State Department bureaucrats before they can be published,” it added.” who want unarmed citizens

The result is that the Obama administration is going to assault the First Amendment in order to undermine the Second. Once again the bureaucratic regulatory state has reared its ugly head, developed a rule and posted it to the Federal Registry without the consent and knowledge of the American people, nor their Representatives. This is yet another means by which the Obama administration — aka, the liberal progressive left, is seeking to infringe upon the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

Of course you’re asking, how can this be done and what does the State Department have to do with this?

As the Examiner writes, “At issue is the internet. State is updating International Traffic in Arms Criminals and DictatorsRegulations (ITAR), which implement the federal Arms Export Control Act (AECA). The rules govern everything from guns to strategic bombers. The NRA said that the rules predate the internet, and now the federal government wants to regulate technical arms discussions on on the internationally available web.”

As typical for the government gobbledegook, it took State Department 14-pages to explain but the NRA sought to encapsulate their overreach: “With the new proposal published on June 3, the State Department claims to be ‘clarifying’ the rules concerning ‘technical data’ posted online or otherwise ‘released’ into the ‘public domain.’ To the contrary, however, the proposal would institute a massive new prior restraint on free speech. This is because all such releases would require the ‘authorization’ of the government before they occurred. The cumbersome and time-consuming process of obtaining such authorizations, moreover, would make online communication about certain technical aspects of firearms and ammunition essentially impossible.”

Now of course the Obama defenders will say what does this have to do with infringing on the right to keep and bear arms — much ado about nothing. But here is the objective: the government is seeking to restrict the free speech of American gun owners and the gun industry in sharing information pertaining to their ability to keep arms. Furthermore, the government is using regulatory coercion and threat of imprisonment to create behavior modification — not exactly a positive reflection on our governing system.

In addition, the Obama administration is seeking to surrender U.S. Constitutional gun ownership rights to international code — aright violation of the sovereignty of our Republic. It’s just another attempt to chip away at our liberty by circumventing the legislative process and our rule of law. THAT is why this matters.

We’re entering that dangerous area of critical mass where America has an executive branch and a president who in their final eighteen months together will complete their fundamental transformation — by any means necessary. The Obama administration and the progressive socialist left have effectively become “da man.” And because they’ve gone down that path, we may be entering a time of warranted civil disobedience. To think, that if I, Allen West, a law-abiding American citizen, were to write technical details or make a video about my Bushmaster AR-15 on this website without prior approval of the State Department, I could face a $1 million fine or 20 years in jail is simply beyond belief and comprehension. Judicial Watch: Federal Court Issues Ruling Compelling IRS to Provide Answers on Lerner IRS Emails

tyrants(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that Judge Emmet Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted a Judicial Watch request to issue an order requiring the IRS to provide answers by June 12, 2015, on the status of the Lois Lerner emails the IRS had previously declared lost.  Judicial Watch raised questions about the IRS’ handling of the missing emails issue in a court filing on June 2, 2015, demanding answers about Lois Lerner’s emails, which had been recovered from backup tapes.  Judge Sullivan issued the court order on June 4, 2015.

Judicial Watch has argued that the IRS misled the court and Judicial Watch by withholding the truth about the existence and content of the backup tapes.  In response to Judicial Watch’s litigation and pressure from Congress, some of Lerner’s emails had been recovered by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) despite testimony from the IRS Commissioner and representations to Judge Sullivan that Lerner’s emails had been irretrievably lost and destroyed. In its June 2 filing, Judicial Watch detailed:

Because the emails recovered from the backup tapes are responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] FOIA request, [Judicial Watch] respectfully requests that the Court order the IRS to submit to the Court a report by June 12, 2015 addressing the status of the emails recovered by TIGTA.  The report should include:

(a) clarification as to whether all emails that have been recovered by TIGTA have now been turned over to the IRS for review and processing in response to Plaintiff’s request, the volume of those emails, and the time frame in which the IRS anticipates completing its review and production of responsive emails, and

(b) clarification as to whether the processing is complete for all 1,268 backup tapes to determine what emails are recoverable, and if not, when the processing is expected to be complete.obama-and-IRS

Two days after Judicial Watch’s filing, Judge Sullivan issued the following order:

The IRS is directed to respond to [Judicial Watch’s] notice by no later than June 12, 2015.

Judicial Watch is seeking Lerner’s emails as part of its Freedom of Information litigation over the Obama IRS’s targeting  conservative political groups and citizens in the months leading up to President Obama’s reelection bid in 2012 (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:13-cv-01559))

On February 26, 2015, TIGTA officials testified to House Government Oversight and Reform Committee that the oversight agency had received 744 backup tapes containing emails sent and received by Lerner. These tapes had been obtained one day after TIGTA requested that the IRS provide any backup tapes that contained records from Lerner’s email account. The IRS subsequently produced 424 additional backup tapes in February 2015. More than 32,000 emails from Lerner’s account were recovered from the initial 744 tapes; Judicial Watch is still seeking information regarding the contents of the additional 424 tapes.

Judicial Watch outlined the continuing IRS cover-up to Judge Sullivan:

The aforementioned testimony is uncontested that the recovered emails are from the email accounts of IRS officials, including Ms. Lerner, and cover the time period of (Judicial Watch’s) request. The testimony also is unequivocal that the IRS reported publicly that any backup tapes had been recycled and were no longer available without asking its technicians whether the tapes existed. [TIGTA Deputy Inspector General] Camus also testified that hard drives previously reported by the IRS to have been destroyed had not, in fact, been destroyed.Obamas IRS Gestapo

However, the IRS has yet to provide answers to Judicial Watch regarding the content of tapes it turned over to TIGTA, specifically “whether the emails are from all or only a subset of the 1,268 backup tapes located since July 1, 2014,” or whether additional emails remain to be recovered.

As the Obama State Department has argued with respect with Hillary Clinton’s hidden emails, the IRS has now argued that Lerner’s emails are no longer “IRS” records and it has no legal obligation to request them:

Agency counsel responded that the IRS is under no obligation to request copies of the emails recovered by TIGTA because they are allegedly not agency records. The IRS’s position is extraordinary considering that, not only are the backup tapes and emails obviously IRS records, but the Court went to great lengths to address the issue of the “missing” emails, including holding a status conference, ordering a meet and confer before a magistrate judge, and ordering the IRS to submit multiple declarations about its efforts to recover or locate the emails.Obama's IRS Gestapo

“The Obama IRS obstructed and lied to a federal judge and Judicial Watch in an effort to hide the truth about Lois Lerner’s emails,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The IRS, including its top political appointees IRS Commissioner John Koskinen and General Counsel William J. Wilkins, has much to answer for over its contempt of court and of Congress.  And the Department of Justice officials enabling this cover-up in court need to be held accountable, as well.  The IRS is out of control and Judicial Watch is happy that Judge Sullivan has taken this key step to remind the agency that it is accountable to the rule of law and the American people.”Party of Deciet and lies  freedom combo 2

Hillary Clinton has laid out her game plan for winning back the White House for herself and her husband next year. Let’s hope Republicans were paying attention. She apparently decided it won’t be enough to rely on the 66 million people who voted twice for Barack Obama, many of whom are disillusioned by the failure of “hope and change.” Obama promised an end to wars in the Middle East, a more prosperous economy for the average American and more harmonious race relations, but all three problems have only gotten worse.

Since Hillary won’t have the youthful exuberance that propelled Obama to his unlikely double victory, she plans to build a whole new electorate out of people who didn’t vote for Obama. That’s the gist of her speech in Houston last week, which her friends at MSNBC called a “far-reaching vision for expanding access to the ballot box.”Liberalism a mental disorder 2

Who are the new voters to whom Hillary wants to give “access to the ballot box”? They include felons and non-citizens, along with anyone who can’t prove identity, citizenship, or residence within the voting precinct. Federal law provides that voting in federal elections take place in even years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November, also known as “Election Day.” Just as no member of a jury should vote on guilt or innocence until all the evidence has been presented at a trial, voters should not cast their ballots before political campaigns are over.

The U.S. Constitution requires that the delegates to the Electoral College cast their ballots for president on the same day. Many states continue to adhere to the tradition of Election Day being on one day in November, not spread out over the ridiculous 35 days that resulted in a political circus in Ohio in 2012.

The integrity of elections is just as important as the universally accepted rules for jury trials, whereby jurors are asked to keep their minds open and withhold judgment until after closing arguments. Spreading out voting over an extended period of a month or more makes it impractical for poll watchers to monitor the voting for fraud.

Make no mistake: Islam is a sadistic and brutal ideology masquerading as a religion. Its core doctrines (as I have often written about) are violently antithetical to our deeply rooted Judeo-Christian heritage. Even a cursory examination of Islam’s past reveals the utter barbarity it has perpetrated on mankind. But, sadly–all of this has been blatantly ignored as our government plans to resettle 70,000 Muslim refugees this year alone on our home turf according to Refugee Resettlement Watch. (This number includes 8-10,000 Somalis.) These Muslims, as in the past–will be sent to various locations around the country only to establish Islamic enclaves that will serve as hotbeds for terrorist activities. Reports have already indicated that at least a dozen Somali-Americans have left their Minneapolis, Minnesota community to join ISIS.

In a recently published video by WND— Muslim refugees in Minneapolis openly admitted that they would rather live in Somalia instead of America. They also ardently stated that they prefer Sharia law over the US Constitution while holding the unwavering belief that insulting Mohammed should be a punishable offense. 

These views are not only anti-American–they are profoundly vile. Chillingly, they are endemic of Muslim communities across America. AFDI Rolls Out New Free Speech Billboard Campaign Featuring Muhammad Cartoon

The human rights advocacy group the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) has announced a new billboard campaign to defend freedom of speech and stand up to violent intimidation. AFDI President Pamela Geller said in a statement: “Because the media and the cultural and political elites continue to self-enforce the Sharia without the consent of the American people by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing what it was in Texas that had jihadists opening fire, we are running a billboard ad featuring the winning cartoon by former Muslim Bosch Fawstin from our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas.”Freedom is never free

The new free speech campaign went up on 100 billboards today in St. Louis.

Geller explained: “Drawing Muhammad is not illegal under American law, but only under Islamic law. Violence that arises over the cartoons is solely the responsibility of the Islamic jihadists who perpetrate it. Either America will stand now against attempts to suppress the freedom of speech by violence, or will submit and give the violent the signal that we can be silenced by threats and murder.”

The immediate answer would seem to be that we should do nothing to provoke violent jihadis, that the prudent thing to do would be to avoid doing things that anger them. But if we did that, they would not they stop coming at us. Last September, an Islamic State spokesman boasted: ‘We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. This is His promise to us; He is glorified and He does not fail in His promise. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market.’

3 simple steps to a conservative in the White House

As we look ahead to the 2016 elections, we need to be ready to fight back against those who do not want a right-sided victory. Many will talk about attracting certain voting groups. They will spout the rhetoric we have heard so many times in elections:

  • “We must attract the independents.”
  • “We must attract the women’s vote.”
  • “We must attract the black vote.”
  • “We must attract the youth vote.”
  • “We must attract the Hispanic vote.”

The list goes on, and it serves one purpose: to confuse.

The statists plan to win, and it isn’t because they have a better candidate or even more money. They plan to win by confusing their enemy. (That’s you.) The elections in 2016 can be won by the right using three simple tactics:

1) The Christian vote: Only 50 percent of those who warm the church pews actually even vote in the general elections. The numbers for women who attend church and vote are even more abysmal. If every churchgoer who does vote brought one churchgoer who doesn’t vote, the election would be wrapped up for the right. This tactic would have even more impact in a primary.

2) Conservatives rally behind one candidate: Before Iowa, conservatives need to have a coordinated strategy to decide on one candidate, or they will get whomever the D.C. elite decides to hand them.

3) Eliminate voter fraud: After deciding on the candidate, and committing to get churches to vote, conservatives should dedicate the rest of their efforts to eliminating voter fraud and opposing motor voter, same-day registration and voting (California has this), and voting without ID laws in their state.

For good measure, I would remind conservatives watch for Saul Alinsky’s rules to be used against them over, and over, and over. The more quickly conservatives can recognize the attacks on them, the better:

1) “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from two main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.

2) “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.

3) “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.

4) “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.

5) “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.

6) “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

7) “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.

8) “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.

9) “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.

10) “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.

11) “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

12) “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

The left has very effectively divided conservatives using Alinsky tactics this week with regard to the Duggar family. If conservatives are smart, they will recognize that attack and move on from it. This will happen again and again and again throughout this election cycle. You won’t see the internal circular fire in the statist camp. They are too pragmatic for that.Culture

If you look closely, the entire Duggar story was a not-so-subtle message to conservatives, especially those who are seeking office: Only those who have no standards should be allowed to judge those who do. This will undoubtedly cause sleepless nights for many a conservative running for office and remembering a joint shared at a college party, or a Playboy magazine shared in a Boy Scout tent in elementary school. That is the intent of the Duggar story, which used tactics No. 4, No. 5 and No. 12 and threatens to sweep away a family that had captured the American imagination while showing large Christian families in a positive light. Remember, Nazism is short for national socialism, particularly atheistic centralized government partnering with powerful preferred corporations.

Let’s take a look at the people behind the assault on the Duggars and American-style individual liberty and protections for children.

Bauer Holdings, the German conglomerate that owns In Touch Magazine, trades in all kinds of societal derogating trash and probably enjoys little readership among Duggar family loyalists. Christian converts are bad for business. Attacking the Duggars is a three-fer: Sell magazines, defend your market, and help make sure no conservative is elected to the White House in 2016. So they would dedicate a lot of time and money to investigate and paint the Duggar family as exhibit A of why we can never give spotlight or power to a conservative.

According to an investigation in the The Wrap, one of Bauer’s subsidiaries is Der Landser, a Nazi-sympathizing, skinhead magazine in Germany. Germany’s equivalent of Time Magazine, Der Spiegel, described the Bauer publication as “a specialist journal for whitewashing the Wehrmacht,” Hitler’s war machine.

Bauer also published the magazine Zuerst! Dieter Munier, the publisher of that magazine is a known German neo-Nazi leader for more than 40 years. Bauer sold that magazine in 2012 after public outrage became overwhelming.

Bauer owned multiple distributorships of pornography, including (you can’t make this up) many Nazi-themed porn movies. These movies detail punishing via rape and torture those who do not sympathize with Nazis. One movie cited in The Wrap article was “Inglorious B–ches.” Bauer showcased this movie via Internet service provider, and shows a scene where a pair of Nazi soldiers torture resistance fighters. By shredding the American principle that we protect the identity of abuse victims, the owners of In Touch magazine have done more damage to women and children around the world than any one molester could do. They clearly aren’t looking for answers to the cancerous problem of child molestation. The reality is, that even those who are looking for answers don’t have many. But one thing is certain: In Touch magazine has an agenda far bigger than the Duggars.War on Christians

If conservatives want to win in 2016, they will need to keep their eye on the prize and keep from getting mired in the distractions of the day. They will have to speak truth boldly and swiftly, and not to get dragged into the narrative of the left (example: “The Duggars should have…”).

obama-bowThat’s part of an evolving proposal Beijing has been developing quietly since 2009 to convert more than $1 trillion of U.S debt it owns into equity. Under the plan, China would own U.S. businesses, U.S. infrastructure and U.S. high-value land, all with a U.S. government guarantee against loss. 

Yu Qiao, a professor of economics in the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsighua University in Beijing, proposed in 2009 a plan for the U.S. government to guarantee foreign investments in the United States. WND has reliable information that the Bank of China, China’s central bank, has continued to advance the plan to convert China’s holdings of U.S. debt into equity owned by China in the U.S.

The Obama administration, under the plan, would grant a financial guarantee as an inducement for China to convert U.S. debt into Chinese direct equity investment. China would take ownership of successful U.S. corporations, potentially profitable infrastructure projects and high-value U.S. real estate.Picture1

The plan would be designed to induce China to resume lending to the U.S. on a nearly zero-interest basis. However, converting Chinese debt to equity investments in the United States could easily add another $1 trillion to outstanding Obama administration guarantees issued in the current economic crisis.

Concerned about the unrestrained growth in U.S. debt under the Obama administration, China has reduced by 97 percent its holdings in short-term U.S. Treasury bills. China’s holding of $573.7 billion in August 2008, prior to the massive bank bailouts and stimulus programs triggered by the collapse in the U.S. mortgage market, dwindled to $5.96 billion by March 2011.

Treasury bills are short-term debt that matures in one year or less, sold to finance U.S. debt. Holdings of Treasury bills are included in the $1.17 trillion of total Treasury securities owned by China as of November 2012.

The problem is that, in a struggling U.S. economy, China does not want to trade its investment in U.S. Treasury debt securities, with their inherent risk of dollar devaluation, for equally risky investments in U.S. corporations and infrastructure projects.

“But Asians do not want to bear the risk of this investment because of market turbulence and a lack of knowledge of cultural, legal and regulatory issues in U.S. businesses,” he stressed. “However if a guarantee scheme were created, Asian savers could be willing to invest directly in capital-hungry U.S. industries.”th0TUKUWU0

Yu Qiao’s plan included four components:

  1. China would negotiate with the U.S. government to create a “crisis relief facility,” or CRF. The CRF “would be used alongside U.S. federal efforts to stabilize the banking system and to invest in capital-intensive infrastructure projects such as high-speed railroad from Boston to Washington, D.C.
  2. China would pool a portion of its holdings of Treasury bonds under the CFR umbrella to convert sovereign debt into equity. Any CFR funds that were designated for investment in U.S. corporations would still be owned and managed by U.S. equity holders, with the Asians holding minority equity shares “that would, like preferred stock, be convertible.”
  3. The U.S. government would act as a guarantor, “providing a sovereign guarantee scheme to assure the investment principal of the CRF against possible default of targeted companies or projects”.
  4. The Federal Reserve would set up a special account to supply the liquidity the CRF would require to swap sovereign debt into industrial investment in the United States.Picture1

E-mails obtained from the Environmental Protection Agency show that Harvard University, Syracuse University and two of their researchers appear to have falsely claimed a study supporting EPA’s upcoming global warming rules was conducted “independent(ly)” of the agency.

In early May, a study published in the journal Nature Climate Change purported to support a key EPA claim about its forthcoming global warming rules aimed at coal-fired power plants. The New York Times’ headline, “EPA Emissions Plan Will Save Thousands of Lives, Study Finds,” typified the media coverage. Across the media, the authors were innocuously described as simply university-affiliated “researchers.” After all, the researchers had declared they had “no competing financial interests” in their study. Both universities had issued media releases heralding the study as the “first independent, peer-reviewed paper of its kind.”Party of Deciet and lies

Study co-author Charles Driscoll of Syracuse University told the Buffalo News, “I’m an academic, not a politician. I don’t have a dog in this fight.” The claim of independence was also emphatically asserted by study co-author Jonathan Buonocore of Harvard University. “The EPA, which did not participate in the study or interact with its authors, Buonocore says, roundly welcomed its findings.” [Emphasis added].

But a closer look at these claims of independence raises serious doubts.

An online search of EPA’s web site revealed that;

  • Syracuse’s Driscoll has previously involved as a principal investigator in studies that received over $3.6 million in research grants from EPA.
  • Co-author Dallas Burtraw, a researcher at the think tank Resources for the Future, had been involved in previous EPA grants totaling almost $2 million.
  • Harvard co-author Jonathan I. Levy had been involved in over $9.5 million worth of grants.
  • Co-author Joel Schwartz, also of Harvard, had been previously involved in over $31 million worth of grants from EPA.Culture

Are we to believe that a group of researchers who had previously received some $45 million in grants from EPA, no doubt hoping for more in the future, could possibly not have any dog in this fight? It’s probably not necessary to ask how this slipped past the incurious mainstream media.

Intrigued by Bounocore’s odd assertion of absolutely no involvement with EPA, I submitted a request to EPA under the Freedom of Information Act for email between the study authors and EPA staff. Although subsequent wrangling with agency staff gave me doubt that I would ever get anything, I received, much to my surprise, 99 pages of emails after mere weeks. The emails reveal that study co-authors Driscoll, Buonocore, Schwartz and Harvard’s Kathy Lambert were definitely in contact with key EPA staff regarding this research.

  • A July 8, 2014 email shows Lambert arranging a conference call with EPA staff to get EPA’s input on the study. One of the EPA staff involved was the contact person for agency’s Clean Power Plan cost-benefit analysis. A subsequent e-mail shows that the top EPA staffer on the Clean Power Plan cost-benefit analysis was added to the call.
  • A July 15, 2014 email from Driscoll to an EPA staffer boasts of “considerable interest” in their analysis from unnamed outside “groups.” One sentence after buttering up the EPA staffer, Driscoll asks her if they could have a phone call to discuss fundraising for a conference Driscoll is organizing. No appearance of attempted financial conflict there?
  • A November 7, 2014 e-mail from Lambert to EPA about the study reads, “We would like to follow back up with you by phone to discuss possible next steps in this analysis and what role you might be able to play.”Culture

This issue goes deeper than mere truth-telling. The EPA’s controversial Clean Power Plan hinges on the notion that shuttering coal plants will save lives. The EPA’s proposed global warming plan ostensibly focuses on reducing carbon dioxide emissions from coal plants. But the bulk of the alleged benefits of the plan actually arise from collateral projections of lives supposedly saved by reducing coal plant emissions related to particulate matter and ozone.

As EPA values each life “saved” at about $10 million, the claim that the rules will save 6,600 lives per year puts the rules’ alleged benefits on the order of $66 billion per year, far in excess of industry projections of the rules’ costs. These EPA claims, however, are controversial to say the least. A compelling alternate view is that no lives will be saved because, for one reason, EPA’s own extensive clinical research shows that particulate matter and ozone in outdoor air do not kill anyone. It’s not too uncommon a situation anymore, but now the Happiest Place on Earth has succumbed as well. Disney World just laid off 250 of its workers, to hire foreign replacements who would be willing to work for less.

Once upon a time, there were about 250 tech workers who were running the computers in the central nervous system of Disney World operations. Then, one day, Disney laid them all off, hired immigrants brought in on visas to take their place, and required many of the former employees to train their replacements. This isn’t your typical Disney-fairytale, but this is what The New York Times reported Thursday.

In October 2014, about 250 employees were laid off and Disney used an outsourcing firm in India to hire immigrants that would work under a temporary visa, known as H-1B, for highly skilled technical workers. Some employees’ severance checks required they continued doing their job for the next three months as they trained their replacements. Disney executives claim that the layoffs were part of a reorganization of the company and they opened more positions than it eliminated, the Times reported.

One former worker told the Times that young immigrants from India took their place:

“The first 30 days was all capturing what I did. The next 30 days, they worked side by side with me, and the last 30 days, they took over my job completely. I had to make sure they were doing my job correctly.”

The use of these visas, and whether they complement American workers or displaces them, is currently under debate in Congress. Critics of the visas say that they are being used to bring in immigrants to do work that Americans can do, for less money.

… Disney executives told the Times that the employees who lost their jobs were given a three-month transition period, with résumé help to get another job within the company or elsewhere. About 120 of those laid off took new positions at Disney, about 40 retired or left the company before the end of the transition period, and about 90 did not find new jobs.

Another worker who spoke to the Times said that his former supervisor was unaware of his layoff and, in his annual performance review, wrote that because of his hard work, he saved the company thousands of dollars. The employee got a raise and his severance pay had to be recalculated to include it.

Imperial President ObamaIt’s easy to blame Disney World for this, but should we not be looking at the Obama administration and how this country severely punishes successful corporations? We can’t give corporations the most unfriendly business atmosphere in the world, and then also complain when they outsource jobs overseas or hire foreign workers for cheap. Maybe if we were more welcoming to big business, this kind of thing wouldn’t happen.

Lawrence Brown is an assistant professor in the Public Health Department at Morgan State University in Baltimore. He’s an activist who basically believes blacks should receive reparations, that America is segregated, that blacks suffer from historical trauma from white supremacist America.

White people’s wealth is apparently ‘unearned’ because it is based off a white supremacist society that steals from black people. That is why said wealth should be ‘deposited in black accounts’.

In activist parlance, ‘white allies’ are the white liberal/leftists that come out at at some of these protests. This standing with black folk is apparently in his words being given too easily, and should not be given without this cost.

Unfortunately, it appears Morgan State, a public university funded primarily by tax payer dollars, has no problem with this man teaching students.

This pig roast could trump a certain steak fry – and it will certainly go down as a moment in Republican pop culture history. That would be “Joni’s First Annual Roast and Ride,” a bodacious event on Saturday organized by Sen. Joni Ernst. It includes a 40-mile motorcycle ride across the Iowa countryside to honor military veterans – boasting good cheer, thudding bikes and a full police escort – naturally led by the Republican herself, a combat vet and a Harley fan. Next up on the agenda: “a big pig roast,” the lawmaker says, plus a political rally of the old school kind with much speechifying, plenty of good eats and a country rock band.

The event has drawn seven Republican presidential hopefuls and major media as well.

The inaugural Roast and Ride is already being compared to former Sen. Tom Harkin’s annual steak fry, a tradition the Iowa Democrat kept going for four decades. Some locals are whispering that the Ernst party could best the Harkin fete; the barbecue gurus expect to serve 700 pounds of pork alone as the afternoon goes on.

There’s spectacle – and photo ops. Indeed, GOP candidates hopefuls will line up at the podium, including Gov. Scott Walker and Rick Perry. Both plan to make the ride aboard Harley hogs from the excursion’s starting point outside of Des Moines, meandering northwards to Boone. They’ll likely be front and center on the line.

Also on hand: Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Sens. Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio. The quiet word among organizers is that Mrs. Ernst offered Mr. Rubio a spot on the back of her bike – but he turned the offer down, apparently. The candidates have also been encouraged to try their hand at horseshoes, wiffle ball and perhaps some artful pork chop flipping.

Prominent politicos and conservative stalwarts will also be in the crowd, including Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, Sens. Chuck Grassley and Tom Cotton of Arkansas, plus Reps. Steve King and David Young.

The press is eager, to say the least. C-SPAN, of course, will be there to bear witness to the big doings from 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, along with the FOX News Channel, which has sent senior correspondent John Roberts to the Hawkeye State. CNN, will feature chief Congressional correspondent Dana Bash who will interview Mrs. Ernst herself, along with Mssrs. Cotton, Graham and Perry. ABC News is also poised for coverage, showcasing their finds on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay tells Newsmax TV he is ready to fight the U.S. Supreme Court tooth and nail should it rule that same-sex marriages must be recognized nationwide — including staging acts of civil disobedience. “Rick Santorum is absolutely right. If this Supreme Court rules against marriage, all hell is going to break loose,” DeLay, a Texas Republican who represented the Lone Star State’s 22nd District, said Thursday on “The Steve Malzberg Show.”

“In fact, I’m a signatory of a document that basically says you can rule any way you want to, but we’re going to stand for marriage even if it takes civil disobedience.”  DeLay did not outline exactly what forms of civil disobedience would be used, but insisted that a Supreme Court ruling is not necessarily enforceable.  “A ruling by the Supreme Court is nothing but an opinion if the legislative branch and the executive branch do not enforce it,” he told Steve Malzberg.  “Not only that, if the states would just invoke the 10th Amendment and assert their sovereignty, they can defy a ruling by the Supreme Court. It’s in the Constitution. We can tell the court what cases they can hear. I passed six bills out of the House limiting the jurisdiction of the courts saying you can’t hear a case on prayer in schools or you can’t hear a case on a nativity scene on the county lawn.”

The Supreme Court is set to rule on whether same-sex marriage is a constitutional right and many legal experts believe the nation’s top jurists will invalidate gay marriage bans because five of them voted to advance gay rights as recently as 2013.
DeLay said if that happens, the United States will be bucking the longstanding and historical definition of marriage. “For all of time, not just Christians and Jews, but all religions have defined marriage as one man and one woman to come together as one and have children and raise those children,” he said.

“You cannot redefine it. It is set in stone. You can call it something else and create civil unions, but you cannot redefine marriage. Plus, this is about religious liberty. Look at what’s already happened and the Supreme Court has not ruled yet.’

“We have a photographer losing their business, a baker losing her business, a florist losing her business because the government and its heavy hand came down on them because under their religious tenets and religious standing, they could not bring themselves to service a same-sex marriage ceremony … This is about religious liberty more than anything else.”

Identifying Hirsch’s False Teachings in “Redeeming Sex” Key to Discernment

Many books about homosexuality are hitting the shelves to coincide with upcoming U.S. Supreme Court rulings on same-sex marriage. Among them I reviewed Scott McKnight’s A Fellowship of Differents and now Debra Hirsch’s Redeeming Sex.

Hirsch, a former lesbian-turned-heterosexual-married-self-describing-Christian, exemplifies the need and ability to discern false teaching presented as biblical. Many of her arguments are based on false premises, which lead to false conclusions.

Most disturbing is her approach that distorts and negates the person and work of Jesus Christ.

By suggesting Jesus as a “sex symbol” she writes he “would have been deeply attractive to both men and women” and it was likely that “genital sexual advances were made towards him.” Did Hirsch not read Isaiah 53? Isaiah prophesied that peoples’ redemption would come from one man who “had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.” Jesus was ordinary looking. And the pain and death he suffered, separation from his father, was more than enough to heal every person’s brokenness, including sexual sin.OKAY TO EXPOSE TEENS TO SEXUAL CONTENT BUT NOT THE BIBLE

Her reasoning regarding Jesus and celibacy is equally problematic. Regarding celibacy and comparing Jesus Christ to Roman Catholic priests Hirsch exposes her ignorance about common misperceptions related to institutionalized celibacy. More important, however, is that Jesus, as both fully God and fully man who was without sin, would not have thought romantically about women. His human nature was perfect and incomparable to the rest of a sinful human nature. Hirsch mentions nothing about obedience to God as a reason for celibacy—for all unmarried believers—one of only two sexual relationships Paul consistently and clearly admonishes that honor God.

Jesus was not celibate because he did not want to spare a wife or child from “the pain of the cross,” as Hirsch suggests. Jesus’s sole purpose was soteriological: to die a death he did not deserve for those who did deserve death—including everyone struggling with sexual sin—in order to redeem them from that sin, not to willfully continue it.

This is why through Christ’s love, grace and mercy, combined with a humble, contrite, repentant heart, and healing through the Holy Spirit, no practicing homosexual can claim to know and love Jesus Christ. To love Jesus is to follow him, to trust and obey him—no matter the cost. (McKnight brilliantly communicates this by citing testimonies from people struggling with sexual sin who claim nothing they have given up compares to the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.)

Furthermore, by defining sexuality and gender by man-made (not biblical) terms, Hirsch wrongly surmises the prostitute falling at Jesus’s feet (Luke 7:36-50) evidences what she defines as “social sexuality” and “genital sexuality.” Nothing could be further from biblical truth.

Yahshua_Miriam_fpageShe interprets this text as “Jesus blurs the lines, suggesting it is possible to love intensely outside of a marriage relationship.” This exemplifies both an arrogant western concept and an absurdly false claim.

The prostitute worshipped Jesus. She did not love him in a romantic, socially sexual, or genitally sexual way. The prostitute fell at Jesus’s feet because she loved him as her Lord and Savior.

Worshiping Jesus has absolutely nothing to do with a person’s emotional, asexual, or sexual feelings. Authentically worshiping Jesus for who he is as Lord does not even remotely imply that non-married women and men (the prostitute and Jesus) can love each other deeply. If anything, Jesus loved her as a father loves a child.

Hirsch’s doublespeak astounds. She asserts Jesus is “calling us to be in the ‘right’ loving relationship with God and with people…. to love God is to walk in his ways.” Yet she also maintains “there is no room for self-righteousness and exclusion based on disputed interpretations on nonessential issues of the Bible.” If sex, gender, and same-sex marriage is a nonessential issue of the Bible, then why write a book about it?

Further still, she justifies “God is ok with gay,” monogamous same-sex relationships provide “no incompatibility with following Jesus,” and “no ministry or church has the right to impose any change on an individual, let alone one so intrinsic as a sexual orientation.”WOE

Perhaps this explains why only verses that appear to support her assertions, taken out of context, are used as pull quotes instead of every verse if explained in their context would clearly refute them?

For anyone to argue the Bible “does not understand a modern day understanding of homosexuality” either reflects intellectually dishonesty, deception, or ignorance about sexual norms and practices during the Apostle Paul’s day. In fact, McKnight’s book paints an astonishing picture of that time, to which today’s standards pale in comparison. Again, if the Bible’s view of sex and gender is nonessential, why write a book about it?

One endorser claims Hirsch expresses a “Jesus-centered vision of how sexuality can glorify God and lead us to flourish.” Another, she offers “biblical, Jesus-lens insight.” Neither is truth.Liberalism a mental disorder 2

By using the Kinsey Scale as a plumb line Hirsch presupposes that human feelings, rationale, or psychology provide the basis for “trying to understand or define homosexuality,” which she claims, “is no easy task.” Homosexuality is easily understood when one first understands who God is. The gospel, not the Kinsey Scale, is what is needed to completely surrender to Jesus’s love, a love that surpasses all selfish and self-seeking choices to love and be loved by human standards.

Biblical love exposes sin and articulates that only through God’s grace, with or without the help of Christians, God restores broken people to himself. Hirsch and others who condone the behavior and mindset of “practicing homosexual Christians” are not loving, but harming them. Worse still they make Jesus’s death worthless. pray2Hirsch’s misrepresentation of scripture is irresponsibly misleading. Sadly, she is not alone.

Hirsch like Rob Bell who “came out for same-sex marriage,” Rick Warren who held hands with and joked about kissing Elton John, the Progressive Christian Alliance, the Gay Christian Network, and many at RNS who unashamedly cite human knowledge and feelings above biblical wisdom.

Paul, who Jesus exclusively tutored for seven years, wrote more about sex and marriage and male and female relationships than anyone else. Wouldn’t reading what he wrote in its entirety be the logical starting point? Yet few Christians read the Bible.

Those who “walk in the spirit,” those who love God with their whole heart, soul, and mind, those who seek to renew their minds and “pick up their crosses,” would not choose to “walk in the lusts of the flesh.” They would not want to disobey Jesus because their love for him is so great.

Sinning, for believers, leads to repentance, not repetition of sin. Those who know and choose to follow and obey Jesus grasp the reality that their lives are not their own; their purpose extends beyond themselves. Human sexuality (and intellect, ingenuity, athleticism, or physical or psychological traits) is only rightly understood once God’s will, communicated in scripture, is understood.

**UPDATES** BREAKING: US CBP Chopper Down at Texas Border, Fired on from Mexico

Breitbart Texas has learned that a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) helicopter was shot down or forced to initiate an emergency landing in Laredo, Texas due to receiving gunfire from the Mexican side of the border. The helicopter was interdicting a narcotics load and working alongside agents from the U.S. Border Patrol, who operate under the umbrella of the CBP. The helicopter was operating in the Laredo Sector of Texas, immediately across the border from the Los Zetas cartel headquarters of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

The helicopter was in U.S. airspace and participating in the interdiction of a narcotics load coming from Mexico into the United States.

A federal agent who spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity said, “U.S. Border Patrol agents were attempting to intercept a drug load. A law enforcement chopper was assisting Border Patrol agents. The chopper received gunfire from the Mexican side of the border. The chopper had to do an emergency landing due to the gunfire.”

Border Patrol agent and National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 President Hector Garza confirmed that he received unofficial reports on this matter that indicate the information provided to Breitbart Texas by the unnamed federal agent is accurate.

The shooting occurred in an area known as La Bota Ranch, a subdivision of Laredo, Texas. A source who operates under the umbrella of the CBP told Breitbart Texas that the narcotics trafficking event was a well-coordinated operation with individuals participating on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. The shooting came from the Mexican side and all individuals fled and got away. The individuals on the U.S. side also got away into the state of Texas.

Another source close to the matter told Breitbart Texas that “at least five shots were fired from Mexico and three hit the CBP chopper. The source claimed that two shots hit the cabin and one hit the engine. Another source close to the matter told Breitbart Texas that two shots hit the engine and one hit the cabin. Both sources cited in this paragraph claimed that an agent in the cabin was not wearing a vest and had it stashed on the floor and that the vest being on the floor ultimately saved the agent’s life. Agents explained that their vests are often placed below them in choppers because any rounds would come from below.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation released this statement to Breitbart Texas:

On June 5, 2015, at approximately 5:00pm during an operational flight near the Rio Grande River in Laredo, Texas, a US Customs and Border Patrol (USCBP) helicopter was struck several times by ground fire.  The rounds penetrated and damaged the aircraft, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.   The pilot sustained no injuries and no individuals on the ground were affected.   USCBP, FBI, Texas Rangers, Homeland Security Investigations and Laredo Police Department responded to the scene.  The FBI has initiated an investigation and will continue processing the crime scene with the Texas Rangers.  Since this is an ongoing matter, no further details will be provided at this time.

Fast track (trade); from Wikipedia

The fast track negotiating authority for trade agreements is the authority of the President of the United States to negotiate international agreements that Congress can approve or disapprove but cannot amend or filibuster. Also called trade promotion authority (TPA) since 2002, fast track negotiating authority is a temporary and controversial power granted to the President by Congress. The authority was in effect from 1975 to 1994, pursuant to the Trade Act of 1974, and from 2002 to 2007 by the Trade Act of 2002. Although it expired for new agreements on July 1, 2007, it continued to apply to agreements already under negotiation until they were eventually passed into law in 2011. In 2012, the Obama administration began seeking renewal of the authority.

In October 2011, the Congress and President Obama enacted into law the Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement, the South Korea–U.S. Free Trade Agreement, and the Panama–U.S. Trade Promotion Agreement using fast track rules, all of which the George W. Bush administration signed before the deadline.[10]

In early 2012, the Obama administration indicated that renewal of the authority is a requirement for the conclusion of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations, which have been undertaken as if the authority were still in effect.[11] In July 2013, Michael Froman, the newly confirmed U.S. Trade Representative, renewed efforts to obtain Congressional reinstatement of “fast track” authority. At nearly the same time, Senator Elizabeth Warren questioned Froman about the prospect of a secretly negotiated, binding international agreement such as TPP that might turn out to supersede U.S. wage, safety, and environmental laws.[12] Other legislators expressed concerns about foreign currency manipulation, food safety laws, state-owned businesses, market access for small businesses, access to pharmaceutical products, and online commerce.[10]

In early 2014, Senator Max Baucus and Congressman Dave Camp introduced the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities Act of 2014,[13] which sought to reauthorize trade promotion authority and establish a number of priorities and requirements for trade agreements.[14] Its sponsors called it a “vital tool” in connection with negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership and trade negotiations with the EU.[13] Critics said the bill could detract from “transparency and accountability”. Sander Levin, who is the ranking Democratic member on the House Ways and Means committee, said he would make an alternative proposal.[15]

Procedure[edit]

If the President transmits a fast track trade agreement to Congress, then the majority leaders of the House and Senate or their designees must introduce the implementing bill submitted by the President on the first day on which their House is in session. (19 U.S.C. § 2191(c)(1).) Senators and Representatives may not amend the President’s bill, either in committee or in the Senate or House. (19 U.S.C. § 2191(d).) The committees to which the bill has been referred have 45 days after its introduction to report the bill, or be automatically discharged, and each House must vote within 15 days after the bill is reported or discharged. (19 U.S.C. § 2191(e)(1).)

In the likely case that the bill is a revenue bill (as tariffs are revenues), the bill must originate in the House (see U.S. Const., art I, sec. 7), and after the Senate received the House-passed bill, the Finance Committee would have another 15 days to report the bill or be discharged, and then the Senate would have another 15 days to pass the bill. (19 U.S.C. § 2191(e)(2).) On the House and Senate floors, each Body can debate the bill for no more than 20 hours, and thus Senators cannot filibuster the bill and it will pass with a simple majority vote. (19 U.S.C. § 2191(f)-(g).) Thus the entire Congressional consideration could take no longer than 90 days.

Scope[edit]

Fast track agreements were enacted as “congressional-executive agreements” (CEAs), which must be approved by a simple majority in both chambers of Congress.

Although Congress cannot explicitly transfer its powers to the executive branch, the 1974 trade promotion authority had the effect of delegating power to the executive, minimizing consideration of the public interest, and limiting the legislature’s influence over the bill to an up or down vote:[18]

  • It allowed the executive branch to select countries for, set the substance of, negotiate and then sign trade agreements without prior congressional approval.
  • It allowed the executive branch to negotiate trade agreements covering more than just tariffs and quotas.
  • It established a committee system, comprising 700 industry representatives appointed by the president, to serve as advisors to the negotiations. Throughout trade talks, these individuals had access to confidential negotiating documents. Most members of Congress and the public had no such access, and there were no committees for consumer, health, environmental or other public interests.
  • It empowered the executive branch to author an agreement’s implementing legislation without Congressional input.
  • It required the executive branch to notify Congress 90 days before signing and entering into an agreement, but allowed unlimited time for the implementing legislation to be submitted.
  • It forced a floor vote on the agreement and its implementing legislation in both chambers of Congress; the matters could not “die in committee.”
  • It eliminated several floor procedures, including Senate unanimous consent, normal debate and cloture rules, and the ability to amend the legislation.
  • It prevented filibuster by limiting debate to 20 hours in each chamber.
  • It elevated the Special Trade Representative (STR) to the cabinet level, and required the Executive Office to house the agency.

The 1979 version of the authority changed the name of the STR to the U.S. Trade Representative.[18]

The 2002 version of the authority created an additional requirement for 90-day notice to Congress before negotiations could begin.[18]

Arguments in favor[edit]

  • Helps pass trade agreements: According to AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall L. Stephenson, Trade Promotion Authority is “critical to completing new trade agreements that have the potential to unleash U.S. economic growth and investment”. Jason Furman, chairman of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, also said “the United States might become less competitive globally if it disengaged from seeking further trade openings: ‘If you’re not in an agreement—that trade will be diverted from us to someone else—we will lose out to another country'”.[19]
  • Congress is allowed more say and members are shielded: According to I.M. Destler of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, fast track “has effectively bridged the division of power between the two branches. It gives executive branch (USTR) negotiators needed credibility to conclude trade agreements by assuring other nations’ representatives that Congress won’t rework them; it guarantees a major Congressional role in trade policy while reducing members’ vulnerability to special interests”.[20]
  • Assurance for foreign governments: According to President Reagan’s Attorney General Edwin Meese III, “it is extremely difficult for any U.S. President to negotiate significant trade deals if he cannot assure other nations that Congress will refrain from adding numerous amendments and conditions that must then be taken back to the negotiating table”. The very nature of Trade Promotion Authority requires Congress to vote on the agreements before they can take effect, meaning that without TPA, “those agreements might never even be negotiated”.[21]

Arguments against[edit]

  • Unconstitutional: Groups opposed to Trade Promotion Authority claim that it places too much power in the executive branch, “allowing the president to unilaterally select partner countries for ‘trade’ pacts, decide the agreements’ contents, and then negotiate and sign the agreements—all before Congress has a vote on the matter. Normal congressional committee processes are forbidden, meaning that the executive branch is empowered to write lengthy legislation on its own with no review or amendments.”[22]
  • Lack of transparency: Democratic members of Congress and general right-to-know internet groups are among those opposed to trade fast track on grounds of a lack of transparency. Such Congressmen have complained that fast track forces “members to jump over hurdles to see negotiation texts and blocks staffer involvement. In 2012, Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) complained that corporate lobbyists were given easy access while his office was being stymied, and even introduced protest legislation requiring more congressional input.”[23]

SUMMARY:

Another Leaked Trade Agreement, Another Reason to Oppose Fast Track

Yesterday, WikiLeaks released 17 documents from a little known trade agreement now under negotiation. The Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA) will cover services ranging from professional work to e-commerce and financial services among the United States, the European Union, and 23 other countries. As with other new trade agreements — notably, the two massive trade deals currently under review with our Asian and European allies — the TiSA negotiations remain classified. And as with those other trade deals, the negotiating texts — which reveal the positions that our government advocates for at the deal-making stage — are to be kept classified for five years after the agreement has been finalized, whether it comes into force or fails.Picture1

Services are big business in the new global economy, comprising an estimated 75% of the U.S. economy. And unlike cross-border trade in goods — largely covered by the WTO — the governance of the trade in services is more haphazard and much less long-standing. The WTO’s General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) is a complicated agreement with various opt-in and opt-out clauses, which allow WTO members a degree of autonomy in deciding which services areas they commit to open to foreign competition. One rationale for this degree of autonomy — which is unlike the more general discipline on the trade in goods — is that services aren’t simply comparable “goods” to be traded. They are the product of complex national regulatory regimes and implicate important legislative decisions. To a first order of approximation at least, a barrel of crude oil is a barrel of crude oil, but what banking or architecture or e-commerce is varies widely across national contexts.

Imperial President ObamaThe TiSA represents, in essence, a first step in crafting a new global regime for governing the cross-border flow of services. A great deal of the work that any services agreement must do is definitional, since services can be amorphous and are often controlled by national licensing schemes or one kind or another. Liberalizing the trade in services thus runs up against the difficulty of defining when a national law constitutes improper “discrimination” against foreign competitors in a service sector. As might be imagined, liberalizing agreements often have a deregulatory effect, as different national licensing and oversight regimes are harmonized downwards. And since important services from broadcasting to utilities to health care are provisioned publicly in a wide range of countries, these trade agreements can have a privatizing effect, requiring countries to open sectors to private competition or to eliminate government support.

In the case of TiSA, academics and activists studying the leaked drafts have already noted some of this deregulatory and privatizing pressure. Longstanding systems of public service provision in areas ranging from transport to broadcasting to utilities look likely to be come under new scrutiny. Financial regulations and safeguards — including Dodd-Frank — may be further eroded under this agreement, under the guise of financial service liberalization. Equally worrying are the negotiations covering e-commerce, which reveal U.S. efforts to oppose the “data localization” that privacy advocates support as a buffer against surveillance. Other points of concern will surely emerge over the coming days from the leaked drafts.

But as we take in each new revelation, we must not lose sight of the broader context. The Obama administration’s proposed trade agreements — the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), and now TiSA — are not really about “free trade” as conventionally understood. They represent instead the inauguration of a new form of global governance, which proceeds under the mantle of trade liberalization. What these agreements deliver are new forms of cross-border regulation, often with sweeping and understudied impacts on the domestic economy. The regulation of our utilities, our roads, our health-care systems, our banks, our media now comes through a mechanism developed in the post-war era to address high tariff rates.Picture2

And there is one overriding fact to bear in mind over the coming week. The same “fast track” authorization that will soon be debated in the House of Representatives doesn’t just concern the controversial TPP and TTIP. Later this year or next, it will be used to provide special, expedited review for TiSA as well. For fast track — now called “Trade Promotion Authority”–will last for six years. Thus, after Obama’s term is finished, through the next Presidential administration, and until 2021, the special treatment decided on this coming week will be used to push through future “trade” agreements that may address any activity that crosses a border — which is to say, almost anything of importance in today’s world.muslim-obama

culture of decietWhat the latest WikiLeaks release reminds us is that fast track won’t just be used to pass the TPP. It will also be used to pass the TTIP, the TiSA, and future agreements not yet leaked — perhaps not even yet imagined. If the House authorizes fast track next week, we should expect even more “government by trade agreement” over the coming years. Behind closed doors, in the offices of lobbying firms and corporate boardrooms, law firms and foreign ministries, smart people working for special interests will be empowered to reshape the world, through secret negotiations, and under the banner of “free trade.”Picture3

When asked if there was a spiritual crisis in the country now, Perry said, “I can only speak for myself, and I know where my hope for the future is, is in my Lord and savior. Everybody else is going to find that place for them too.”

“If people are looking for government to be their savior, they’re looking at the wrong place. The things we have in this country, they were given to us by God, not by government,” he said.

Perry, who ran for president four years ago, admitted that he wasn’t prepared during his first presidential run. He admitted that he had to recast himself in part because of the gaffe he made when he failed to name the third government agency he would eliminate if he were president during a GOP presidential debate in Rochester, Mich., in 2011.

“Anyone who’s done this more than once is recasting themselves,” Perry told “Morning Joe.”

“We’ve spent a lot of time and preparation for this moment. I knew that if I was going to be a legitimate candidate, give myself an opportunity to be successful, I had to spend substantial time and preparation on monetary policy, domestic policy, on foreign policy. “Nahum is not our prophet, but he is a prophet, so we must respect that. He’s a prophet, it is simple.”

Long before Christ walked the earth, Nahum the Prophet warned the world about the end of the Assyrian empire and the destruction of its capital, Nineveh. Now, more than 2,600 years later, his tomb, in the ancient Iraqi city of Al Qosh, may face the same fate, courtesy of ISIS.

“Smooth domes topped with crucifixes rise above the beige stone houses in Al Qosh, a modern town built on the ancient Nineveh plain. The town is rich of history from the Assyrian empire and the beginnings of Christianity. Less well known is the town’s Hebrew heritage, and the once-dominant teachings of the Prophet Nahum.”

The tomb underwent basic repairs in 1796. Then, when all Jews were compelled to flee Alqosh in 1948, the iron keys to the tomb were handed to an Assyrian man by the name of Sami Jajouhana. Few Jews visit the historic site, yet Jajouhana and his family continue to keep the promise he made to his Jewish friends to looks after the tomb.

Nahum was a prophet whose words are recorded in the Bible. His book comes in chronological order between Micah and Habakkuk in the Old Testament.

Asir Salaam Shajaa, an Assyrian Christian born and raised in Al Qosh, dusts off the green cloth that lies over the ancient tomb in the center of the run-down synagogue. He is adamant that resting under the heavy stones are really the remains of Prophet Nahum.

Like his father and his grandfather before him, Shajaa takes care of the site dutifully, fulfilling a promise made more than 60 years ago to the fleeing Jewish residents of the town. A family of Assyrian Christians has been guarding the tomb of Nahum the Elkoshi for generations. A tradition that may be ending soon.

Al Qosh’s Jewish population fled in the early 1950s when the Iraqi government began their sometimes violent effort to rid the country of Jews, to punish the faith for the declaration of an independent Jewish state. Between 1949 and 1953, about 3/4 of Iraq’s Jewish population fled, including the last Jews of Al Qosh.

“When the last Jewish people in Al Qosh left, they asked my grandfather to watch over the tomb, to keep it safe. I don’t know much more than that,” Shajaa explains, straightening the tomb’s cover.

Nahum is frequently referred to as “The Elkoshite,” adding some credence to the postulation that the tomb indeed belongs to the prophet.

The beige hand-laid walls of the old synagogue are crumbling, but many still stand. Some are adorned with legible Hebrew script carved into large stone plaques that remain firmly embedded.

With ISIS just ten miles away from Al Qosh, plans for refurbishing the crumbling walls of Nahum’s tomb are on hold. Shajaa, like many other Iraqi Christians wants to leave battle-scarred Iraq, yet he worries about the future of the synagogue and the tomb, a place that his family has taken care of for decades with little outside help.Christian Persecution

“I’m not sure how long my family will continue to stay in Iraq, we want to leave, most of the Christians want to leave.”

According to Haaretz, Shajaa says:

“My brother says he will stay though, if my family gets to leave Iraq my brother and his children will look after the tomb. It will stay in the family, God willing.”

Individual Health Plan Costs On The Rise Due To Obamacare

Complete MessageIf you live in a state without its own Obamacare health exchange, you can expect to see individual insurance premiums rise sharply in anticipation of an upcoming Supreme Court’s decision on the legality of federal subsidies to consumers there.

Such is the case in Michigan, in which seventeen of 21 health insurers selling coverage at HealthCare.gov. are requesting rate hikes. Premium increases  from 5% to a whopping 37% are being sought by more than half of the insurers beginning in January under the Affordable Care Act, the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services said Monday.  The requests require approval of the state insurance agency.

The nation’s highest court is expected to rule this month on the King v. Burwell case concerning the legality of federal subsidies paid to customers in the 36 states that use the federal Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov; 14 states have their own marketplaces.

88% of consumers on Michigan’s health exchange receive some kind of subsidy according to Rick Murdock, executive director of the Michigan Association of Health Plans, which represents most insurers in the state. More than 341,000 Michiganians purchased insurance on the health exchange. The average premium paid by consumers was $130, with a savings of $236 because of the premium tax credit, according to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Murdock suggested that insurers may be adjusting for a potential loss of business if federal subsidies are eliminated and consumers abandon their policies.

Similarly, North Carolina’s largest insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, stated that it seeks to raise individual healthcare premiums by 13.5% for Obamacare compliant plans, affecting some 315,000 consumers in that state.

Nationwide, insurance companies want rate hikes of over 10% in 37 states.

According to the CMS, more than 8 in 10 individuals who selected a 2015 plan through HealthCare.gov qualified for an average advanced premium tax credit of $263 per person per month. That is $263 per month- or $3,156 per year- that taxpayers must subsidize per person for over 80% of consumers on Obamacare approved plans.  These are plans that must include unnecessary coverage of myriad specialty drugs and procedures under the federal government’s one size fits all mandates.

The Democrats just had to “pass the bill to find out what was in it,” and we are now witness to the unintended (or perhaps intended) consequences of a disastrous bill designed to provide health insurance to the 10% of uninsured Americans, all at the expense of the 90% who were perfectly happy with the plan they had.

While Obama insisted that premiums would decrease by $2500 per person, the reality is much different; rising healthcare premiums for all, along with unsustainable subsidies in the form of tax credits to enlarge the ever increasing entitlement class in a country holding more than $18 trillion in national debt.Liberalism a mental disorder 2
The looming Supreme Court will hopefully rule that the federal government has acted illegally in forcing taxpayers nationwide to subsidize residents of states which have chosen to not be party to the one of the most audacious pieces of legislation ever passed.  What happens afterwards is anybody’s guess, but one thing is certain; increasing premiums and chaos in the US healthcare system are imminent.

ImageMarilyn Mosby is the Baltimore City state’s attorney who is handling the Freddie Gray cop prosecution in Baltimore. She’s 34, she’s politically connected (her husband is a City Councilman), this is her first big job as a lawyer, and it’s her first prosecution.

And yes, it appears that she’s in waaaaaaaaaay over her head.

There was a lot of discussion about the speed that she charged the cops who were involved in Gray’s death. The police hadn’t even completed their initial investigation when charges were filed and many criminal attorneys think she’s going to have a really hard time proving the charges.

In fairness, after the fact, she was able to get the Baltimore grand jury to indict the cop ham sandwich buffet that she handed over to them.

There are two interesting twists in the case. The first is that the attorneys for the defense have asked for a change of venue. They don’t think the cops can get a fair trial in Baltimore, we certainly agree with that assumption. We have no idea what the court will say, but we do think keeping the case in Baltimore is very prejudicial to the defendants.

The second twist came today. Mosby wants the autopsy results sealed. Only her office and the defense would have access and they would not be able to talk about it.

The Baltimore police department was conducting an investigation into the incident, and they haven’t seen the autopsy results. If Mosby gets her protective order, they won’t see them.

When the arrests were announced, Mosby went on national television and talked about the evidence she said she had. One major piece of evidence has already been discredited. Mosby said the knife that Gray was carrying that was deemed by police to be illegal was, in fact legal and that made his arrest illegal. It turns out that because the law in Baltimore with reference to knives is so fuzzy, the police had a legal right to take Gray into custody.

We are with Ivan Bates, the attorney for one of the officers who noted:

[Bates] told the [Baltimore] Sun that Mosby’s motion indicates “there is something in that autopsy report that they are trying to hide.”

“Mrs. Mosby is the one who did an announcement discussing what she said the evidence was in a nationally televised speech, and now that it is time to turn over the evidence, to ask for a protective order is beyond disingenuous,” Bates told the Sun. “It’s as if she wants to do everything to make sure our clients do not get a fair trial.”Liberalism a mental disorder 2

Gee, ya think?

Just for sake of clarity, we have no idea if the cops were negligent in Gray’s death, if they broke the law, or if they’re just innocent bystanders. If they broke the law, we’re perfectly happy with them going to prison on appropriate charges. On the other hand, we have a suspicion that Mosby may have gotten carried away with her position and jumped the shark on charging the cops. Second-degree murder has some very specific statutory requirements and we’re hard pressed to understand how she’s going to meet the burden of proof.

If she over-charged, the cops may well be guilty of a lesser charge but can’t be convicted because of prosecutorial incompetence.

We’re feeling this may be a real clown car as it goes to court. Think about the utter incompetence shown in the George Zimmerman prosecution and his not guilty verdict. It was the right verdict, but whole process to get him into court was a travesty. The difference between Zimmerman’s acquittal and an acquittal for the Baltimore cops is that the usual suspects in Baltimore will likely try to burn the city down if the cops walk.freedom combo 2

70% of Americans Say ‘No More Immigration’

Although 51 percent of Americans think immigrants strengthen the country, an overwhelming majority of Americans do not want to see obama-border-is-open-378x257immigration levels increase, according to a new Pew poll. Just 24 percent of those polled said the U.S. should increase the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country, while 70 percent said the level of immigration should decrease or remain the same. The share of those who believe immigrants strengthen the country by their hard work and talents dropped from a high of 57 percent last year to a small majority of 51 percent this year. And the share of those who believe immigrants are a burden on the economy rose from 35 to 41 percent. The declining share of Americans who view immigrants unfavorably holds across party lines, although most Democrats and Independents still believe they strengthen the country.Only Reason

The share of Republicans who believe immigrants strengthen the country dropped sharply from about 45 percent in 2013 to just 27 percent this year. The share of Democrats who view immigrants favorably dropped a few points to 62 percent, and the share of Independents dropped slightly to 57 percent.

Hillary goes ugly early with racism claims

HILLARY GOES UGLY EARLY WITH RACISM CLAIMS
If Hillary Clinton is concerned enough about her candidacy to already be making accusation of racism against her potential Republican rivals, this is going to be a long election cycle for her and for the rest of the country.

Down in Texas for a campaign event aimed at restoring her relationship with black Democrats who rejected her 2008 candidacy, Clinton said that laws requiring voters to show identification at polls were part of “a sweeping effort to disempower and disenfranchise people of color, poor people and young people from one end of our country to the other.” Note the language here. It’s not a misguided effort with an unfortunate result, it is a deliberate effort to prevent minorities from voting. That’s not just racist, that’s evil.

Clinton even made it personal, saying potential general election foes Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and Rick Perry were “deliberately trying to stop” minority voters from participating. It’s language that might even give voter-ID opponent President Obama some pause, but Clinton tore into her topic with evident relish. In this candidacy, Clinton has seemed at times uncertain and usually vague. When it came to racially charged, partisan attacks, however, she was imbued with a new vitality and was nothing if not direct. In an ironic turn, Clinton accused Republicans of “fear-mongering about a phantom epidemic” as she intoned against urgent dangers to civil rights.

Why would a politician go so bananas over policies that are supported by something like seven out of 10 Americans? The standard media take on Clinton’s overheated rhetoric is that she is still determined to avoid her 2008 fate by pandering to, one by one, each of the parts of the Democratic coalition. It’s been rolling out at the rate of about one group and one policy reversal or expansion a week. And that is surely the biggest part of this.

But when a candidate, especially a person of pallor such as Clinton, is out making over-the-top charges of racism at this point in an election cycle it certainly does not suggest a confident candidate or campaign. While Republicans might take heart that the woman who remains ahead in hypothetical matchups against anyone in their field is throwing haymakers 17 months before Election Day, they also ought to remember what else this gambit says about Clinton: She will do whatever it takes to win.Liberalism a mental disorder 2

WALKER ROARS BACK TO IOWA FOR ERNST, BUT RIVALS AWAIT
Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, is not having cattle call, but a hog call this weekend. The Roast and Ride event this weekend requires a little more stamina than the usual campaign event. Candidates will ride motorcycles from Des Moines to Boone, Iowa, or they can meet the party in Boone, where each participant will have 8 minutes to speak.

For one candidate this event could not be more perfect: Gov. Scott Walker, R-Wisc. Not only is he a Midwest boy, but he’s also a Harley guy. Walker has had a wide lead in the Iowa polls and, like his national poll numbers, he’s holding steady. But as with every venture to Iowa, the stakes for Walker are high. His rivals are all hoping he takes a spill, which is not helped by high voter and press expectations. Walker will have a little competition from former Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, who took the event to another level and announced his own “Ride with Rick” addition to the 38-mile ride. Perry will start things off in Perry, Iowa to raise money for wounded veterans, and push through to Boone.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., has a different challenge. Rubio has invested significant resources in Iowa. His staff went to bat for Ernst during her 2014 Senate campaign. Rubio isn’t necessarily a chopper kind of guy, but Ernst offered him a ride on the back of hers. No word on if he’s taking her up on it, but he may want to think twice on that gesture. Other candidates attending the event may have to rethink their means of transportation as well. Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., are all slated to attend. Here’s betting a lot of them decide to meet road warriors at the podium.

Wait. What? Rubio gets semantic on Iraq – “It’s not nation-building. We are assisting them in building their nation.” – Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on “Outnumbered” in defense of Bush and Obama administration’s policies in Iraq and Afghanistan.

UPTON TOUTS BIPARTISAN HEALTH INITIATIVE
There’s not much in the way of large-scale health legislation that could win a unanimous vote in a House committee these days. But Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., managed to steer legislation on research funding and the regulation of new treatments to do just that last month. Upton makes his case for speedy passage of the bipartisan measure in an op-ed today at Time.

You may be a manly man, but maybe what you are missing in your relationship with God is the ability to let Him be your Father.

I recently returned from a family trip to the beach.  It was my soon-to-be two-year old’s first trip to the ocean.  Being a lover of sand and salt water, I couldn’t wait to see my little girl’s reaction to the breaking tide.

That’s all the fluffy images in my head.  In truth, I had to ride with a 22-month-old 7 hours in a car seat.  For all of you who know, that should fall under the “cruel and unusual” category.  You can’t reason with a two-year-old.  After a tantrum or two, and multiple views of the same “Praise Baby” video, we made it to our destination.  Then came the “mule” part of the vacation for dad.  I carried a tent, 4 chairs, a cooler, a bag of toys, and various other accouterments to our little piece of heaven and setup camp.  After several religion-losing moments with the tent, I had everything settled.  Then came the moment I had waited for, my little girl walking off the causeway, stepping onto the sand for the first time.  I imagined pictures that would be remembered for a lifetime.

As soon as her feet hit the sand, there was a gigantic freakout!  I mean blood-curdling screaming type freak-out.  My little girl is very prissy and she does not like to get her hands or feet dirty.  I failed to calculate this in my grand plans.  Her response is one she uses when she feels unsafe.  “Daddy, hold you.”  (Do you want me to hold you?)

Have you ever felt a time in your life where you wanted to ask the Father to hold you?  Lost a job?  Got a divorce?  Family member died unexpectedly?  Car accident?  Sin to the point that you think you can’t come back to God?

I have a very close friend, one who I might not see more than twice a year.  He is my brother in Christ though.  Whenever I see him, it’s as if we haven’t been apart more than 10 minutes.  His father, who is in his early 80’s recently had a very bad car accident.  Most, given that reality, would realize that recovery expectations weren’t that great.  Not my friend.  He is a man of the Cross.  He puts his faith in the Great Physician.  After the wreck, I would check on him every day or so.  On one of the exchanges, he said, “The doctors have done all they can do. They say we need a miracle.”  I told him, “Fortunately, we serve a God who is in the miracle business.” 

My friend didn’t surrender.  He ran to the Father of Lights.  He fell into the arms of Jehovah Rapha, the Lord Who Heals.  He called on his knowledge of Psalm 46:1-3, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.”  He called his Father for help.  The day after the dire prognosis, I messaged him asking how his dad was.  His health had taken a drastic turn for the better. 

Jesus Himself turned to His Father in His darkest hour.  Before the Cross, in Gethsemane, when Christ was at His lowest, He fell into the arms of His Father:  “Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.  (Matthew 26:39)” 

Jesus called out to His Father.  He asked, but did not demand an answer.  He recognized the sovereignty of God, and that no matter what, His purpose would be accomplished.  God’s Will shall ultimately always be done.  No matter how enlightened man gets, he still doesn’t hold a candle to God.  That is what is so sad about current events.  Man thumps his chest and says, “I know better than the God who created the universe.  I am smarter and more enlightened.  I know better than He.  I can do whatever I want, I am free!”  All the while, God is the One who has made us free through the sacrifice of His Son. 

Back to my daughter.  While she was crying out onto the sand, pleading for rescue, I picked her up.  I knew that the sand would not hurt her.  It wasn’t overly warm, but I knew that for her comfort, she needed to be in the arms of her Father.  The panicking stopped.  She was and is loved.  She was and is comforted.  She knows in her little mind that I will protect her.  What she can’t see, is that I know what could be if she would embrace it.  I can see a broader scope than what my little princess can see.  Jeremiah 29:11 is an often quoted verse, but verses 12-13 are virtually unknown.  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

You may be a manly man, but maybe what you are missing in your relationship with God is the ability to let Him be your Father.  Maybe what you need to do, is simply pray, “Daddy, Hold me.”freedom combo 2

IRS finally admits illegals can get back taxes under Obama amnesty

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has confirmed to Congress that illegal immigrants granted amnesty under President Obama’s new programs could claim back refunds even when they never filed returns to pay their taxes in the first place. Sen. Chuck Grassley, who had pressed Mr. Koskinen over the issue, released written responses Wednesday in which the commissioner admitted he’d botched the question earlier and, in fact, illegal immigrants granted the amnesty will now be able to claim refunds on tax returns they never even filed, thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit.Picture6

“To clarify my earlier comments on EITC, not only can an individual amend a prior year return to claim EITC, but an individual who did not file a prior year return may file a return and claim EITC (subject to refund limitations under section 6511 of the Internal Revenue Code),” Mr. Koskinen said.Cloward Pevin with explanation

He insisted, however, that he doubts many illegal immigrants will take advantage of the loophole because they would have to be able to prove their earnings for those years they never filed returns. “Filers would have to reconstruct earnings and other records for years when they were not able to work on the books,” he said.

Taxpayers must have Social Security numbers in order to claim the EITC, and illegal immigrants aren’t supposed to have numbers. But Mr. Obama’s new deportation amnesty grants illegal immigrants work permits, which are then used to obtain Social Security numbers.  IRS lawyers have ruled that once illegal immigrants get numbers, they can go back and refile for up to three previous years’ taxes and claim refunds even for time they were working illegally.more evidence

The lawyers said since the EITC is a refundable credit, that’s allowed even when the illegal immigrants worked off the books and never paid taxes in the first place. “Section 32 of the Internal Revenue Code requires an SSN on the return, but a taxpayer claiming the EITC is not required to have an SSN before the close of the year for which the EITC is claimed,” Mr. Koskinen said. “At your request, the IRS has reviewed the relevant statutes and legislative history, and we believe that the 2000 Chief Counsel Advice (CCA) on this issue is correct.”Taxes

Mr. Koskinen had initially said illegal immigrants could claim refunds, but only for years they’d filed returns and presumably had paid some taxes.

Most of Mr. Obama’s amnesty is on hold after federal courts ruled he likely broke the law by acting on his own without Congress‘ approval and without putting his policy out for public review and comment. But a 2012 policy that applies to so-called Dreamers, or young adult illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, is in effect. EPA Chief: Just Trust Us On Climate Science

Liberalism a mental disorder 2Americans are just going to have to trust the EPA’s 44 years of experience dealing with environmental issues when it comes to figuring out ways to cope with man-made global warming, says the agency’s chief. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy told Big Think in an interview that while there are limits to how much the federal government can do for issues like global warming, the public needs to trust how the EPA translates the “complicated” science into real-life actions.

“Well I think we all have to recognize the strengths and limitations of government action,” McCarthy said. “But here’s what I think we can do at the federal level more effectively. We can speak to the science because it’s complicated and we do a lot of research and we do a lot of translation of the science into what it means for people so that the decisions can be made on the basis of real science and on the basis of a real technical understanding.”Picture5

“That’s how it has worked in EPA’s career for 44 years at EPA is we’ve listened to the science and the law and we have let solutions take off in the marketplace which is where the cheapest, most effective always win,” McCarthy said. “That’s why EPA can move environmental standards forward so effectively and grow jobs at the same time.”more evidence

The EPA is on the verge of finalizing rules limiting CO2 emissions from power plants as part of President Barack Obama’s climate agenda. Republicans and industrial lobbies have opposed the rules, saying they will be costly and do nothing to stem warming. McCarthy, however, has continually argued the EPA’s so-called “Clean Power Plan” will send a signal to the world the U.S. is serious about dealing with global warming and spur innovation in green technology.EPA Tyranny

“Now what you really want to do at the national level is send long-term signals,” McCarthy said. “And those signals go to people in markets because the best thing EPA and other regulatory agencies need to do is set standards based on what we think the science tells us, the law tells us and what’s achievable.”

“It’s like being in a race and the federal government, you know, says what direction to run and they shoot the starting gun, but the ones in the race become the businesses, the entrepreneurs, the people who are driving new technologies,” she said.Bull

The Battle Over Coal. And the War on State Rights.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s “War on Coal” is a war that the states literally cannot afford to lose. With coal providing almost 40 percent of U.S. electricity and around a half-million American jobs, we all stand to suffer from proposed federal regulations that would force plants to close, drive our electricity bills up, and hinder the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers in the global market.

But this recent bureaucratic power grab is more appropriately described as a “battle” than a “war.” It is just one fight—albeit an important one—in the larger War on Federalism being waged day after day by a formidable national government in Washington, D.C. The specific power play being made by the EPA in this instance is handily representative of the processes that have steadily expanded federal power over the years. Just like President Barack Obama’s executive fiat on immigration policy, it involves actions that do not quite ignore constitutional boundaries, but simply lawyer around them.burke

Here, the EPA wants to order the states to apply the same crippling carbon dioxide emission standards to existing energy plants—already regulated under a separate section of the Clean Air Act—as the federal standards designed for new plants.hell

For decades, the EPA has been administering the federal law according to a common-sense reading of the language, whereby exiting sources of air pollution are regulated under one section and new sources or otherwise unregulated sources are governed by another.

Then came a failed attempt by the Obama administration to shepherd new climate change legislation through Congress. Voilà! Now, citing a dubious ambiguity in the wording of one provision of the decades-old Clean Air Act, the EPA claims that Congress actually authorized it to apply the more stringent standards to existing plants anyway.Worship manditory

The EPA’s attempt to steamroll what most see as a clear, congressionally-constructed boundary on its regulatory authority is made possible by a landmark Supreme Court precedent, a 1984 case called Chevron U.S.A. v. National Resources Defense Council. That case gave us the “Chevron Test” for evaluating the extent of agency authority by reviewing Congress’ statutory instructions to the agency. Essentially, if Congress’ direction to the agency is clear, that direction simply must be followed. If, however, there is silence or ambiguity in the language, then courts will uphold the agency’s action as long as it is based on a permissible interpretation of the law. In other words, an interpretive “tie” goes to the bureaucrats.EPA Tyranny

Obama eating the ConstitutionThis judicial policy puts power tools in the hands of bureaucracies that, just by virtue of their consisting of human beings, are already predisposed to chip away at the limitations of their authority. It invites every administrative agency to expand its power at every turn by inventing creative statutory interpretations that can pass the low bar of being considered by some federal judge to be “permissible.” As it turns out, federal bureaucrats are creative geniuses when it comes to “interpreting” their statutory authority. Their creativity mirrors that of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches in interpreting the Constitution itself.

Invariably, all this interpretive creativity comes at the expense of the states. In fact, this very Battle over Coal is an example of how much the states have already lost, for this battle is a tug-of-war between federal agencies and the federal legislature over an area of policy that rightfully belong to the states.

Strategies for winning this Battle over Coal in the short-term—including the usual expensive lawsuits—must not be Obama tearing up the constitutionmistaken for the needed long-term solution to the epidemic erosion of our constitutional federal system. We cannot allow our national government to continue distracting us with countless and repeated skirmishes over the practical and procedural terms of their abuses of power. Instead, we must engage in the larger war over fundamental constitutional principles that the feds are actually waging.

The states are well-equipped to win this War on Federalism decisively, but victory requires them to use the one effectual constitutional tool at their disposal that, until now, they have entirely neglected.

By invoking Article Five’s state-controlled process to propose constitutional amendments, the states can foreclose the feds’ opportunity to lawyer around limitations on their authority. The states can definitively end not only the EPA’s attempt to hijack legislative prerogatives, but also hundreds of other instances of overreaching by bureaucrats, the president, Congress, and even the Supreme Court.freedom

A constitutional amendment could overrule the Chevron case’s “tie goes to the agency” framework and replace it with a rule that where Congress’ intent is unclear, the agency may not act. But more importantly, a constitutional amendment could limit the power of Congress to interfere with policies that the Constitution reserved to the states. For example, an amendment could overturn the current, overbroad interpretation of the Commerce Clause, which was originally intended to merely allow Congress to regulate economic activity that crosses state lines.

Americans must recognize that what is ultimately at stake here is our self-governance. Will the vast majority of our laws be created in the state and local governments that are most responsive to the people, as intended by the Constitution? Or will we instead allow ourselves to be ruled by an elite ruling class in a distant capitol, which hands down high-minded orders and cracks the whip on the backs of the states to carry them out?safe_image

Federalism is a defining characteristic of our exceptional Constitution, and it is under siege. But the War on Federalism is one that the states can win if they use the appropriate constitutional defense.
