Huck’s Response to Emotional Anti-Gun Marchers Is Best We’ve Heard So Far

Reported By Benjamin Arie | March 25, 2018 at 2:56pm

URL of the original posting site: https://conservativetribune.com/watch-hucks-response-emotional/

Mike Huckabee is well known for his calm, warm approach to politics and life — and the former pastor and Arkansas governor just became the voice of reason during the “March For Our Lives” protests.

While appearing on “Fox and Friends,” the politician-turned-commentator addressed the recent demonstrations that are supposedly about stopping violence, but have become essentially anti-Second Amendment rallies where law-abiding gun owners are vilified for the actions of one criminal.

“I salute these students for their passion and their energy, and for their interest in helping to shape public policy,” Huckabee began, extending an olive branch to the young people protesting. “But I would say this to them: Emotion is a terrible substitute for truth.“  March 25, 2018

“It is a terrible substitute for facts,” Huck continued. “And they’ve been used, by believing that if they just ban a certain type of firearm, that things are going to be better.”

That wasn’t just the former governor’s opinion. A vast amount of evidence backs up the view that the left’s “solutions” — many of which have already been tried — would do nothing to actually stop criminals.

“Here’s the facts: Five times more people are killed in America by knives… than they are by rifles,” Huckabee explained.

The most recent FBI data shows that in 2016, there were 374 murders committed using rifles in the entire United States. That includes so-called “assault rifles.” However, a stunning 1,604 murders were committed using “knives or cutting weapons.”

Even hands, fists, and feet were used to kill more often than rifles: Criminals committed 656 murders using just their body.

“It’s also true that over 86 percent of the 20,000 police chiefs and sheriffs in America do not support repealing concealed carry, but rather rather support (gun ownership),” Mike Huckabee went on. “And they don’t support more gun control methods.”

There’s a good reason for that: As concealed carry has become more common in America, the country has become more safe.

As we’ve previously reported, there was an amazing 215 percent increase in concealed carry permits between 2007 and 2015. During the same time period, there was a 14 percent decrease in the murder rate. In fact, violent crime has been cut in half since about 1990, yet the media constantly acts as if violence is spiraling out of control.

Mike Huckabee’s primary point is so good, it must be repeated: “Emotion is a terrible substitute for truth.”

The left and the mainstream media seem to be purposely burying facts or even outright lying about statistics in order to promote an agenda.

American schools are actually some of the safest places in the country. Contrary to the narrative, mass shootings in schools have not be dramatically increasing in recent years. Students have a higher probability of being killed riding their bikes or walking to school than by a school shooter.

Huck’s line about emotion over truth is an apt summary of not only the current push against lawful gun ownership, but also almost all of liberalism. One of the hallmarks of being responsible adults is using logic and critical thinking over fear-based reaction and hysteria.

The next time you see a news headline or hear a statement from a protester, ask yourself: “Is this based on reasoned logic and truth, or all emotion?”  That’s an incredibly useful tool to decide which side of an issue to stand on… and in today’s world, detecting the truth is more important than ever.

Obama Forced FBI to Delete 500,000 Fugitives from Background Check System for Gun Purchases!

Reported by Onan Coca

When Democrats blame Republicans and the NRA for criminal gun deaths, it’s important to remember that it’s the Democrats who continually weaken our law enforcement tools.

In the recent shooting in Parkland, Florida it was Democrat education/policing policies that allowed Nikolas Cruz to do his evil work. The police were forced to call on Cruz on dozens of times, and yet they never reported him to the national databases for his criminal behavior. The FBI was warned about him on more than one occasion, but because local police were not reporting his bad behavior, they had no way of knowing just how dangerous Cruz was. In reality, if not for the liberal policies pursued by the Broward County School system and their local police – Cruz would have been in the national NICS (banned from purchasing a gun) database.

This past week we learned, again, that liberal policies have made our nation decidedly more dangerous.

This past week during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich unveiled some very disturbing information about a HUGE hole in the database created by the Obama/Lynch Justice Department.

During the hearing, none other than lefty Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) asked about a rumor that some 500,000 fugitives were deleted from the FBI’s NICS database.

Dianne Feinstein: “It’s my understanding that under federal law fugitives cannot legally purchase or possess guns. We’ve heard from local law enforcement that the Justice Department has issued a memo that forced the FBI NICS background check database to drop more than 500,000 names of fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants because it was uncertain whether those fugitives had fled across state lines. Mr. Bowdich, can you describe why this determination was made by the Justice Department?”

David Bowdich: “Yes, ma’am. That was a decision that was made under the previous administration. It was the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel that reviewed the law and believed that it needed to be interpreted so that if someone was a fugitive in a state, there had to be indications that they had crossed state lines. Otherwise, they were not known to be a fugitive, under the law, and the way it was interpreted.”

Acting FBI deputy director David Bowdich says Obama’s DOJ forced the deletion of 500,000 fugitives from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) which is used to conduct background checks on gun buyers. pic.twitter.com/wqscSOPVVL

What?

This is preposterous. If they are being called fugitives, but have not knowingly crossed state lines, they are still fugitives from the law in their own state. How can the law have been written to only keep fugitive criminals who cross state lines from getting guns? I’m sure that the authors intended for all fugitive criminals to be barred from gun purchases, whether or not they’ve crossed state lines.

Why would this even be a problem that the Obama DOJ was considering? The Obama team was hell bent on finding ways to take law abiding citizens firearms, but they were also simultaneously searching for ways to keep guns in the hands of certain criminals? It makes no sense!

We probably won’t ever know why the DOJ would make such a devastating decision and cut the names of 500,000 felons from the NICS database, but we do know one thing for sure – it’s another example of the Obama administration’s decision to reward criminal behavior and make life in America more dangerous.

Here Is The List Of Attackers The FBI Was Warned About But Still Failed To Stop

Authored By Becky Loggia | February 17, 2018 at 9:14am

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournal.com/list-attackers-fbi-warned-still-failed-stop/

“I’m going to be a professional school shooter.” These were the words written by 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz months before he opened fire in a Parkland, Florida high school Wednesday.

Grieving family and friends are now reeling in the aftermath of the tragedy as reports state the FBI was aware of Cruz’s erratic and hostile behavior before it truly surfaced.

Last fall, YouTube vlogger Ben Bennight, 36, noticed the alarming declaration from Cruz had been left on one of his videos and sought out FBI officials, taking a screenshot of the comment before removing it from the video entirely.

According to BuzzFeed News, officials responded “immediatelyand requested an in-person interview with Bennight the next day.

“They came to my office the next morning and asked me if I knew anything about the person,” Bennight told BuzzFeed News. “I didn’t. They took a copy of the screenshot and that was the last I heard from them.”

However, as more is uncovered about the FBI’s mishaps in handling persons of interest — such as Cruz — a list has been compiled by Grabien News that suggests the Valentine’s Day shooting isn’t the only one they’ve been tipped off about.

This is the current list:

1. Boston. According to reports, the FBI and U.S. law enforcement were sent, via Russia, a warning about bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev. The FBI allegedly interviewed the suspect and let him go, even opting against investigating him later after a second warning swept through the department from Russian officials. The bombing left three dead and 16 injured.

2. Fort Hood. In a string of emails sent to the FBI, soldier Nidal Hasan openly admitted that he wanted his fellow soldiers dead in order to protect the Taliban. Officials failed to intervene, leading to a tragedy that resulted in the death of 31 Americans.

3. NYC Bomber. Third on this list is NYC bomber Ahmad Khan Rahami, whose own father alerted officials of the radicalization of his son. After a brief interview, Rahami was cleared by FBI officials, though he eventually injured 31 people between New Jersey and New York.

4. Pulse Nightclub. In yet another attack on American soil, 49 people were killed and another 53 wounded after Omar Mateen opened fire through its doors. Despite a 10-month investigation of the would-be shooter — during which he admitted to lying to officials — the FBI decided against taking further action.

5. Garland, Texas. In a recent report from CBS, the FBI had an undercover agent traveling with Islamists Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi for intel on a pending attack during a “Draw Muhammad” event in Garland, Texas. Not only did officials know of a pending attack, but have refused to comment on why their agent didn’t intervene when the attack took place. Though a security officer was shot, the attackers were killed before they could harm any others.

7. 9/11. In a report by FBI agent Coleen Rowley, allegations were made stating that the FBI mishandled leads within its Minneapolis office during the investigation into the alleged 9/11 mastermind Zacarias Moussaoui. Rowley chronicles the early aftermath of the attack on the Twin Towers as she and other agents scoured through pre-attack events concerning Moussaoui’s investigation.

“Everyone’s first question was ‘Why?—Why would an FBI agent(s) deliberately sabotage a case?’” Rowley wrote. “I know I shouldn’t be flippant about this, but jokes were actually made that the key FBI HQ personnel had to be spies or moles like Robert Hanssen who were actually working for Osama Bin Laden to have so undercut Minneapolis’s effort.”

“I feel that certain facts, including the following, have, up to now, been omitted, downplayed, glossed over and/or mis-characterized,” Rowley said. “In an effort to avoid or minimize personal and/or institutional embarrassment on the part of the FBI and/or perhaps even for improper political reasons.”

An honorable mention may also be had with the South Carolina massacre at the hands of Dylann Roof, who was allegedly cleared by the FBI to buy firearms. Then-director of the FBI James Comey admitted that it was merely an error in the background check system that eventually allowed Roof to kill nine parishioners in cold blood.

“We are all sick this happened,” Comey said of the mishaps that enmeshed his department with the fatal shooting — and that of too many others.

Professional School Shooter

Drawn and Commentary by Chip Bok | February 17, 2018

professional school shooter

A Wall Street Journal story says the FBI failed to follow up on a tip that Nikolas Cruz was a dangerous threat to others.

On Jan. 5, the FBI received a call on a tip line from a person close to Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old charged in this week’s shooting, the bureau said in a statement on Friday. The caller provided information on “Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior and disturbing social-media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting,” the FBI said.

The FBI said the information should have been assessed as a possible “threat to life” but “no further investigation was conducted.”

Professional School Shooter

BuzzFeed reports that last September a Mississippi bail bondsman named Ben Bennight tipped the FBI to a disturbing YouTube post by a Nikolas Cruz. The post said “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.” The FBI followed up with a visit to Bennight’s office but he had no further information. At a press conference after the shooting the Bureau said it “could not uncover any details from the account.”

Florida Governor Rick Scott called for FBI Director Christopher Ray to step down.

FBI Too Busy Investigating Trump, Failed to Follow Up on School Shooter Tips

Authored By Benjamin Arie | February 15, 2018 at 1:41pm

URL of the original posting site: https://conservativetribune.com/fbi-received-school-shooter-tip/

The FBI is coming under renewed scrutiny, after it was revealed that they received tips and strong clues that the shooter behind Wednesday’s school shooting in Florida planned to pull the trigger.

Americans have already been asking difficult questions about how the bureau handled the investigation of the Oct. 1 attack in Las Vegas, and the entire Department of Justice is caught up in a political scandal that implies bias and incompetence.

Now there is another question on people’s minds: Could the FBI have done more to stop the Florida incident?

According to CNN, the FBI received a tip as far back as September that a person named Nikolas Cruz might be planning a school shooting. “Ben Bennight, the 36-year-old YouTube video blogger from Mississippi, noticed in September an alarming comment on a video he’d posted,” the news network explained.

That comment declared, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter,” and was left by a person with the exact same name as the suspect behind the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. Another similar tip was allegedly received by the FBI, but the bureau seemed to do almost nothing with the information.

“It was one of at least two alleged threat reports about the suspected shooter that the FBI received, according to a law enforcement official,” CNN reported. “In both cases, the FBI did not share the information with local law enforcement, the official said.” Emphasis added.

Bennight — one of the individuals who tipped the FBI about the suspect — said that agents did follow up with him to see if he knew the person who made the threatening comment, but when he told them he didn’t have more details, investigators appear to have stopped there.

“No other information was included with that comment which would indicate a time, location or the true identity of the person who made the comment,” insisted Special Agent Robert Lasky in a news conference after Wednesday’s shooting.

“The FBI conducted database reviews, checks but was unable to further identify the person who actually made the comment,” he stated.

Think about this for a moment. The person who left the threatening comment hinting at a school shooting apparently used their full name, which matches the suspect who was arrested. Even with a full name, the FBI couldn’t figure out who this person was?

Google-owned YouTube, where the comment was left, almost certainly tracks the IP addresses and vast amounts of other data — including GPS coordinates from Android phones — about each user who has an account. They surely would have cooperated with the FBI and shared this information.

Billions of dollars are spent on the FBI and the NSA, almost every detail of online activity is tracked in some way, and with the full name of a suspect the top investigators in the world couldn’t even narrow down where one person lived? If you’re a bit skeptical of that explanation, you’re not alone.

“(W)hen the FBI said it was the same name, the first thing that went through my mind was, ‘Wow, I hope you were at least watching this guy that I alerted you to months ago,” Bennight told CNN. They were not.

The frustrating reality is that big government agencies have a pretty appalling record when it comes to detecting and stopping crimes. FBI agents knew about Omar Mateen, but could not stop the Orlando nightclub shooting.

FBI officials were warned about the Tsarnaev brothers, but moved too sluggishly to prevent the deadly Boston marathon bombing. More recently, they moved extremely slowly in stopping a pedophile from abusing underage gymnasts.

There’s more: Government investigators failed to pass on information that could have stopped the Texas church shooter from obtaining weapons. The TSA routinely fails unannounced tests and allows dangerous weapons through airport security.

There is a disturbing trend of federal agencies dropping the ball when it comes to their sworn duties: The security and safety of American lives. Meanwhile, FBI authorities seemed to have plenty of time to scheme how to derail a presidential candidate, while seeing national security as boring.

It’s time to demand answers from these officials. Stopping every incident may not be possible, but the priorities and effectiveness of America’s protectors seem to be completely backward.

EXCLUSIVE: House Intel Committee Has Received All Docs On Trump Dossier From DOJ, FBI

Reported by Richard Pollock | Reporter | 5:04 PM 01/08/2018

Rep. Devin Nunes Briefs Reporters At The White House On Intelligence Cmte Russia Investigation

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence members gained access to all Department of Justice and FBI documents it possesses on the Trump dossier, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

The committee was able to review Friday all FBI and DOJ documents on the Trump dossier, former MI-6 British agent Christopher Steele who authored the dossier, and Fusion GPS, the political opposition firm that hired Steele. DOJ also provided Obama administration applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which could approve the surveillance of the Trump transition team, according to a source with direct knowledge of the case.

The information could serve as a key breakthrough in the committee’s investigation of Steele, Fusion GPS and the Russians who influenced the dossiers’ contents.

The only exception to the release was an FBI one FD-302 document that FBI Director Christopher Wray showed only to Nunes. The document pertains to interviews of sources or suspects.  The committee also will have access to interview key Justice Department and FBI officials later in January.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes announced on Jan. 3 that assistant Attorney General Rob Rosenstein approved committee access to documents pertaining to Steele, Fusion GPS and any applications for surveillance of Trump transition officials. The committee’s document request was re-issued in a Jan. 4 letter from Nunes to Rosenstein.

The Intelligence Committee is seeking a clear understanding of how the FBI and Obama’s Justice Department officials used the dossier, which Steele compiled from unknown Russian sources. The dossier contained unverified and disparaging charges about Trumps activities in Russia.

Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid Fusion GPS for the dossier. The intelligence committee is also investigating whether the FBI or the Justice Department also agreed to pay Steele for his information, how they used the information and what steps, if any, they took to verify its content.

The documents additionally could provide insights into the Obama administration’s request to “unmask” or force the intelligence community to reveal the identity of Trump transition officials who were in contact with diplomats and foreign principals.

The Justice Department and the FBI have actively stonewalled Congress since 2017 over the Obama administration’s relationship to Fusion GPS, Steele and its use of the dossier to obtain a warrant before the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Court, which can authorize surveillance on American citizens.

Nunes expressed frustration with the lack of any response to the requests for documents in a December letter to Rosenstein. “Unfortunately, DOJ/FBI’s intransigence with respect to the August 24 subpoenas is part of a broader pattern of behavior that can no longer be tolerated,” he wrote.

“As a result of the numerous delays and discrepancies that have hampered the process of subpoena compliance, the committee no longer credits the representations made by DOJ and/or the FBI regarding these matters,” Nunes told Rosenstein.

The information also could be used for a criminal investigation of Steele.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, said he believed Steele lied to federal authorities about his contacts with reporters regarding information in the dossier, and he urged the department to investigate.

“I don’t take lightly making a referral for criminal investigation,” he said. “But, as I would with any credible evidence of a crime unearthed in the course of our investigations, I feel obliged to pass that information along to the Justice Department for appropriate review,” he said according to The New York Times.

TheDCNF contacted the White House for confirmation about the matter but has not yet received any response.

While Mueller Pursues Investigation, Trump Drops A Bombshell Question Of His Own

Reported By Jason Hopkins | January 1, 2018 at 9:57am

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournalism.com/mueller-pursues-russia-investigation-trump-question/

As special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian collusion of the 2016 election continues on, President Donald Trump has one big question on his mind.

“Whatever happened to Podesta?” “They closed their firm, they left in disgrace, the whole thing, and now you never heard of anything,” the president said during a wide-ranging New York Times interview.

Trump was referring to Tony Podesta, the founder of The Podesta Group and brother of former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. Like members of Trump’s presidential campaign, Podesta has also found himself at the center of Mueller’s growing FBI inquiry.

During The Times interview, the president said he believed Muller would treat him fairly, but he also expressed frustration that Podesta has seemingly escaped scrutiny since stepping down from the firm he founded in October.

The long-time Democrat is under investigation for activities similar to those of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort. Manafort, having a long history of lobbying for foreign entities, led a public relations campaign for a nonprofit called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine. Podesta Group also took part in promoting Ukraine in the United States, being one of several firms that were paid to do public relations work, according to Politico.

His group filed paperwork with the Justice Department indicating that it had worked on behalf of the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, benefiting the same Ukrainian political party that Manafort advised. In late October, Manafort was indicted on an array of charges that included money laundering, failing to disclose overseas bank accounts, operating as an agent of the Ukrainian government and making false statements to federal authorities.

Trump severed ties with Manafort during the election as it became apparent law enforcement was looking into him. The president has since tried to put distance between himself and the beleaguered lobbyist.

“Paul only worked for me for a few months,” he explained.

“Paul worked for Ronald Reagan. His firm worked for John McCain, worked for Bob Dole, worked for many Republicans for far longer than he worked for me. And you’re talking about what Paul was many years ago before I ever heard of him. He worked for me for — what was it, three and a half months?”

Podesta, for his part, has not endured much public scrutiny since stepping down from his firm a couple months ago and it’s not exactly known what action federal authorities will take regarding his investigation. Along with believing that more attention should be placed on Podesta’s past lobbying activities, the Republican president spoke at length about the FBI investigation that has haunted his first year in the White House.

Pushing back against their allegations, the president said that Democrats concocted claims of Russian collusion “as a hoax, as a ruse, as an excuse for losing an election.” Trump also asserted that “everybody knows” his 2016 campaign staff did not collude with any Russian officials and even reversed the accusations by suggesting Democrats were the ones who worked with Russians during the presidential election.

Around seven months have passed since Muller was appointed to lead an investigation, but no charges have yet been brought forward against the president.

“There’s been no collusion. But I think he’s going to be fair,” Trump said of Mueller.

FBI/DOJ Corruption Unmasked by Congressman in Shocking Interview

Reported By Onan Coca December 12, 2017

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) has had his name dragged through the mud over the last year, mostly because he offered evidence that President Trump was right about Russian collusion and Obama administration spying.

Nunes’ discovery of evidence that exonerated the Trump administration, while proving that members of the Obama administration may have been involved in criminal behavior meant to sway the 2016 election was the first blow against the Democrat Trump-Russia witch hunt. Nunes’ testimony delivered a crushing blow to the narrative that Trump had colluded with Russia, and it also revealed that Trump might have been right about Trump Tower being wiretapped by the Obama administration.

The Democrats responded to the revelations, not by disputing the facts that Nunes uncovered, but by attacking Nunes himself as a stooge of the Trump administration. It forced Nunes to step down from his position leading the House Intelligence Committee and led to an invasive ethic committee investigation into Nunes’ activities. That investigation is now over and Nunes has been cleared of any possible malfeasance. The inquisition against him found NOTHING, and has proven that the evidence he brought to the table was as rock solid as he always said it was.

Now Nunes is going on the offensive and blasting the intelligence community criminals who have been working against the American people in their attempts to undermine President Trump.

In an interview with Catherine Herridge of Fox News, Nunes excoriated the FBI and the DOJ for abusing their authority and he slammed congressional Democrats for continuing the farce of an “investigation” against Trump, because there was still NO EVIDENCE that Trump colluded with the Russians.

HERRIDGE: After an 8-month review the House ethics panel cleared the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes of revealing classified information while overseeing the Russian investigation.

NUNES: I think it gives people in the United States a scene into how dirty this place can be.

HERRIDGE: Speaking exclusively to FOX News, Nunes said the complaint filed by liberal groups was designed to shut down his investigation that revealed the unmasking, or identification, of Trump campaign associates by President Obama’s appointees in foreign intelligence reports.

HERRIDGE: Was the ethics complaint legitimate?

NUNES: No, I think this was just a clear design by the left working in conjunction with parts of our government to keep information away from me and the House Intelligence Committee.

HERRIDGE: Nunes publicly confirmed for the first time a month-long probe that goes well beyond the Russia case into the surveillance of Americans through the FISA, or the national security courts.

NUNES: I believe we have evidence that there is definitely abuses have occurred.

HERRIDGE: And Nunes pointed to the leaked conversation of the General Mike Flynn with the Russian ambassador and the Congressman said he is unaware of any leak investigation by the FBI or Justice Department.

NUNES: I hate to use the word corrupt, but they’ve become at least so dirty that who is watching the watchmen? Who is investigating these people? There is no one.

Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro is as angry as Nunes about the abuses from the intelligence community and she says that it’s time for Congress to take action against these corrupt government officials.

“There is a cleansing needed in our FBI and Department of Justice,” she said. “It needs to be cleansed of individuals who should not just be fired, but who need to be taken out in cuffs.”

“There were times in our history when corruption was so pervasive that examples had to be made,” Pirro said. “This is one of those times. Handcuffs for Andrew McCabe, deputy director of the FBI. The man at the hub, protecting Hillary and attempting to destroy Trump.”

“I, for one, am tired of investigations [and] politicians posturing — something more has to be done. The stench coming out of the Justice Department and the FBI is like that of a third-world country where money and bullies and clubs decide elections. It all started when cardinal [Jim] Comey destroyed our FBI with political hacks to set events in motion to destroy the republic because they did not like the man we chose to be our president. Well, it is time to take them out in cuffs.

Pirro and Nunes are right.

The stench emanating from our intelligence community is terrible and something must be done to restore the American people’s faith in our justice system. If we can’t trust the leaders of the FBI, the DOJ, the CIA, and other agencies… how are we supposed to have any faith that the government is acting legally and in our best interests (both are important)? We can’t.

Russia: Factual Error in Manafort Indictment Shows Case Was ‘Cooked Up’

Reported By Brianna Young | October 31, 2017 at 3:31pm | Source(s): NBC News, NBC News, and Los Angeles Times

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournalism.com/russia-factual-error-manafort-indictment-shows-case-cooked/

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his top deputy, Rick Gates, are facing serious charges regarding the consulting business Manafort used to operate. Manafort and Gates have been indicted on 12 charges, including “conspiracy against the United States,” “conspiracy to launder money” and “false statements.”

But now, Russia is claiming the allegations against both men are “cooked up” and not part of a “serious investigation.” The Russian foreign ministry cited what they say is one glaring factual discrepancy in the 31-page indictment: the fact that the indictment referred to Yulia Tymoshenko as the former president of Ukraine.

Tymoshenko served twice as Ukraine’s prime minister before being imprisoned in 2011 on embezzlement charges, according to NBC News.

“I liked a lot the bit that, it turns out, according to the recent findings of American enforcers, the Ukrainian president before (Viktor) Yanukovych was Yulia Tymoshenko,” said Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova claims this one error puts the entire document’s validity into question.

“This is a very important moment showing the way how, once again, this document had been made, cooked up,” Zakharova said. “You understand when you talk about serious investigation one cannot allow things like that.”

The indictment against Manafort and Gates claims that both men made of millions of dollars thanks to their lobbying efforts in Ukraine.

They, in addition to George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign policy adviser who pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI, are the first people to be charged as part of the ongoing investigation into Russia’s meddling in last year’s election.

Papadopoulos’ guilty plea led the White House to immediately distance itself from him. President Donald Trump even tweeted that hardly anyone knew who Papadopoulos was.

The White House said Monday that the indictments against Manafort have nothing to do with the president, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. As for the charges against Manafort, NBC reported they are going to be tough to beat.

“It’s a very strong case, of course it’s not about last year’s election, but they have a long list of transactions and they have a lot of facts to support the indictment,” said Jennifer Rodgers, a former assistant U.S. attorney in New York.

But if Russian officials can cast doubt into the validity of the indictment, it may give Manafort the leverage he needs.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already claimed on several occasions the country did not meddle in the 2016 election.

FBI Bombshell: Far-Left U.S. Radicals Colluding With ISIS

A new book by a former editor in chief of The New York Times Magazine and best-selling author reveals for the first time an FBI field report about the collusion between American anti-Trump radicals and foreign ISIS/al-Qaeda operatives.

In his latest book, All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trumpset to be released today, Edward Klein reveals to the public findings from an FBI investigation into the shocking ties between far-left radicals in America and Islamist extremists.

The FBI report was delivered to Acting Director Andrew McCabe on July 11, 2017. While certain names have been redacted, Klein reveals how the FBI followed a group of Americans anarchists/radicals who traveled to Germany to join their German counterpart Antifaschistische Aktion to protest Trump’s attendance at a meeting of G20 leaders and central bank governors.

Evidence gathered from a variety of intelligence sources showed the Americans took part in the violence there. “There is also evidence of meetings between these individuals and associates of ISIS…Making some sort of common cause with Americans who are determined to commit violence against the U.S. makes them potentially very useful to radical Islam,” writes Klein based on the report.

Klein notes that the FBI paid particular attention to a group of anarchists from Oakland, sister city to Berkeley, California, site of the campus of University of California at Berkeley and the scene of several violent protests.

“Now that the bureau has determined [ISIS/al-Qaeda] have followers in the radical U.S. resistance movement in the United States, it is clear there will be additional violence in the attacks on law enforcement and U.S. institutions, including banks,” he writes.

In an article written for the Daily Mail, Klein continues:

“Ties between three key leaders of the Oakland group [names redacted] met in Hamburg with a leader of the AQAP [Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula] and the AQIM [Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb], the report continued.

“The leader from AQAP is an Egyptian-born male [name redacted] who is known to be in charge of finances and recruiting for the group. There is evidence from informants that he is helping the Oakland group acquire the weapons they are seeking, primarily bomb-making equipment and toxic chemicals and gasses.

“One of the men from Oakland traveled to Syria to meet with ISIS; the purpose was for training in tactics, but was thought to be primarily a bonding visit to discuss possible massive disruptive attacks in the U.S.

“While in Hamburg, several of the Oakland-based criminals were photographed throwing Molotov cocktails and wielding iron bars, which have been their weapons of choice, though they are almost certainly on the verge of upping the caliber of their weaponry for use in the U.S.”

Klein notes, “Despite having their faces covered by masks, they were positively identified.”

Previous FBI Director James Comey also “collected intelligence on the connections between Middle Eastern jihadis, European radicals, and the American anarchists who are part of the anti-Trump ‘resistance’ movement,” writes Klein, quoting an an FBI source who had access to Comey’s intelligence reports.

The American anarchists communicate with the Islamic State and other terrorist organizations online on a variety of websites, on which they also find instructions how to make bombs.

Tellingly, Klein notes,

“As the Trump administration has demonstrated it’s serious about destroying the Islamic State, and depriving ISIS of territory in Iraq and Syria, the alliance between the American radicals and ISIS has grown even closer. The Internet chatter between the Americans and the Islamists is astronomical.

“The FBI is really playing catchup ball, because the Obama administration refused to give the bureau the resources it needed to effectively infiltrate and surveil the radical groups on college campuses …

“Any talk of a connection between radical Islam—a phrase the Obama people wouldn’t even use—and American extremists was pretty much laughed off. [Former Attorney General] Loretta Lynch would have blown a gasket if she heard that the FBI was surveilling so-called college political organizations.

“All that has changed under the Trump administration. Everyone’s aware that the resistance movement, with its effort to get rid of Trump by any means necessary, has created fertile soil for ISIS and al-Qaeda to establish a beachhead in America.”

GREAT NEWS: DOJ Lifts Gag Order, Frees Informant to Speak to Congress on Russia Bribery Case With Ties to Clintons

Reported By Andrew Kerr | October 26, 2017 at 8:45am

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournalism.com/doj-lifts-gag-order-frees-informant-to-speak-to-congress-on-russia-bribery-case-with-ties-to-clintons/?

The Justice Department lifted a gag order Wednesday that will allow a former FBI informant to speak with Congress about information he uncovered involving a Russian bribery scheme linked to a controversial uranium deal in 2010.

The move comes as Congress renews its focus on the Obama administration’s approval of Russian-owned energy company Rosatom’s purchase of Uranium One, a company based in Canada that controlled 20 percent of U.S. uranium.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton led the State Department when it approved the deal back in 2010. Eight other U.S. government agencies also approved the deal.

Three congressional committees launched investigations into the deal last week after The Hill reported that the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that the Russian nuclear industry officials involved in the deal were involved in a racketeering scheme as early as 2009.

However, the Department of Justice waited until 2014 to bring any charges on the evidence first gathered in 2009 and 2010.

The CEO of Tenex, a subsidiary of Rosatom, pleaded guilty to money laundering in 2015.

Congressional Republicans now seek to discover who knew what, and when. Republicans have also expressed concerns about Clinton’s connection to the interested parties in the nuclear deal. The Clinton Foundation reportedly received millions of dollars in contributions from interested parties in the transaction, and former President Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Russia around the time of the deal.

The FBI informant, who hasn’t been identified by name, went undercover for five years to obtain intelligence on Russia’s efforts to acquire a share of the U.S. uranium market.

Justice Department spokesman Ian Prior said the DOJ would cooperate with the three open congressional investigations.

“As of tonight, the Department of Justice has authorized the information to disclose to the chairmen and ranking members of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as one member of each of their staffs, any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market,” Prior said in a statement Wednesday, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores confirmed to The Hill that the undercover FBI informant is cleared to disclose to Congress “any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market, including but not limited to anything related to Vadim Mikerin, Rosatom, Tenex, Uranium One, or the Clinton Foundation.”

The informant’s lawyer, Victoria Toensing, told The Hill her client has information relating to “the Russian nuclear bribery case and the efforts he witnessed by Moscow to gain influence with the Clintons in hopes of winning favorable uranium decisions from the Obama administration.”

“He is now able and willing to talk with the congressional committees seeking his testimony, though I will be working with all parties to ensure his identity remains confidential to ensure his safety,” she added.

But some high-ranking Democrats have called foul on the Republican’s renewed focus on the 2010 uranium deal.

California Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday the investigations are a “partisan effort to distract” from the real issue at hand — special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into President Donald Trump’s alleged collusions with the Russians during the 2016 election.

Trump told reporters Wednesday he believes the uranium investigation will quickly swell to Watergate proportions.

The uranium sale to Russia and the way it was done was so underhanded. With tremendous amounts of money being passed, I actually think that’s Watergate: modern age,” Trump said, as reported by the New York Post.

DOJ Lifts Gag Order on Uranium One Informant, Hillary and Obama Feeling the Heat

URL of the original posting site: https://conservativetribune.com/doj-gag-order-informant-hillary/?

The Justice Department announced Wednesday night that it had lifted a gag order on a former FBI informant who could provide testimony to Congress about an inquiry linked to a 2010 Obama-era deal that transferred ownership of a uranium mining firm to a Russian-owned company.

Fox News reported the department said it authorized the informant to speak to the Senate Judiciary Committee, House Oversight Committee, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as select staffers.

The Justice Department said the informant could provide “any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market,” including Russian company Rosatom, its subsidiary Tenex, Uranium One and the Clinton Foundation.

The FBI said in court documents and in interviews that they had gathered enough evidence to prove that Rosatom-connected officials were engaged in a bribery scheme that included kickbacks and money laundering in 2010, Circa reported.

Despite that little tidbit, the U.S. government approved the sale. Not surprising considering who was in office. Now we have a chance to know what really went down.

The informant’s attorney, Victoria Toensing, told Fox Business Network Monday that her client could “tell what all the Russians were talking about during the time that all these bribery payments were made.”

Toensing said her client, an American businessman who reportedly worked as an undercover FBI confidential witness, was prevented from testifying by former attorneys general Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch after having signed a non-disclosure agreement, according to Fox News.

Circa reported that Toensing also said the informant has pertinent information regarding Russia’s attempts to gain access to former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to influence the Obama administration’s decision on the purchase of Uranium One.

After the sale of Uranium One to Rosatom was completed, millions of dollars flowed to the Clinton Foundation from Russian officials, as reported by The Hill.

This FBI informant can also testify about comments made by FBI agents that suggested “political pressure was exerted during the Justice Department probe of the Russia corruption case and that there was specific evidence that could have scuttled approval of the Uranium One deal if it became public,” according to The Hill.

There is little doubt that if Clinton had won the presidency, this gag order would still be enforced.

Thus, the truth about who really colluded with the Russians would likely never be known. Hopefully, the informant’s testimony will shed some light on what happened during these deals and the truth behind them can come out. You can bet this news has former President Barack Obama and Clinton sweating bullets.

You can also bet the mainstream media will take its sweet time covering this news because it doesn’t fit their Trump-hating agenda.

84 Children Found After Sex Trafficking Bust Ends In Arrest Of 120

Reported

The FBI has rescued 84 children from the hands of 120 traffickers who were arrested Wednesday amid a nationwide crackdown on child trafficking, the agency said in a statement.

The sting, dubbed “Operation Cross Country XI” was a multistate operation focused primarily on the recovery of children and taking out the “pimps” who run human trafficking rings.

“We at the FBI have no greater mission than to protect our nation’s children from harm. Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested — and the number of children recovered — reinforces why we need to continue to do this important work,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said.

“This operation isn’t just about taking traffickers off the street. It’s about making sure we offer help and a way out to these young victims who find themselves caught in a vicious cycle of abuse,” he added.

The four-day operation involved 55 field offices, 78 Child Exploitation Tasks Forces, 500 law enforcement agencies across multiple states and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, according to the FBI. The sting was the latest operation in a long-running venture called the Innocence Lost National Initiative. Since its inception in 2003, the venture has found and rescued 6,500 children, NBC News reported.

The FBI said its agents and task force officers staged sting operations in hotels, casinos, street corners and truck stops, in addition to online advertising, WJRT reported.

“We go out in an undercover capacity, and we try to make contact with youth whether as a customer sex buyer or trafficker even,” Arapahoe investigator Daniel Steel told KCNC.

A 3-month-old baby found in Denver was the youngest victim rescued during the operation.

“During operations by FBI Denver’s Rocky Mountain Innocence Lost Task Force, for example, a three-month-old girl and her five-year-old sister were recovered after a friend who was staying with the family made a deal with an undercover task force officer to sell both children for sex in exchange for $600,” the FBI said.

FBI Denver Special Agent in Charge Calvin Shivers said the bureau provides victims services to rescued children to help return them to their homes or reintegrate them into society.

Arapahoe County District attorney George Brauchler said child trafficking is a multifaceted issue, explaining it’s a market with buyers and sellers.

“It’s not just that someone is willing to sell someone, it’s that there are buyers out there who are willing to engage in this,” Brauchler said.

The head of the FBI’s Denver field office, Todd Pooler, said Wednesday’s sting was just the beginning of the FBI’s efforts to eradicate child trafficking.

“If you are a sexual predator or are sexually exploiting children, the FBI and law enforcement partners will find you,” Pooler said. “You can count on it.”

Trey Gowdy Issues Subpoena to FBI

Posted by GirlsJustWannaHaveGuns.com | on September 5, 2017

The probe into Trump’s alleged Russia collusion has revealed a lot of nefarious details. One that is most disturbing which revealed there is a possibility that the FBI paid to get the Trump dossier which supposed the president’s guilt in the allegations.

The dossier has been completely debunked. Now Congress is hunting for answers, which is where Trey Gowdy and his committee have stepped in…

From Washington Examiner:

In the most significant escalation yet in the wrangling between Congress and the FBI over the Trump dossier, the House Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed the bureau and the Justice Department for documents relating to the dossier, the FBI’s relationship with dossier author Christopher Steele, and the bureau’s possible role in supporting what began as an opposition research project against candidate Donald Trump in the final months of last year’s presidential campaign.

The subpoenas are an indication of growing frustration inside the committee over the FBI and Justice Department’s lack of cooperation in the Trump-Russia investigation.

Gowdy’s thoughts:

The subpoenas are the result of a months-long process of committee investigators requesting information from the FBI and Justice Department. Beginning in May, the committee sent multiple letters to the FBI and Justice requesting information concerning the Trump-Russia affair.

“We got nothing,” said committee member Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who is taking a leading role in the Russia investigation. “The witnesses have not been produced and the documents have not been produced.”

According to YoungCons: We still have a lot to learn but this dossier looks to be completely false and if the FBI paid money to actively work against a candidate running for president that’s a huge deal.

Bill O’Reilly Drops 1 Fact From Comey Testimony That Media Is Ignoring

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/bill-o-reilly-fact-on-comey/

Advertisement – story continues below

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claimed Wednesday evening that, despite all the hoopla by the media over former FBI Director James Comey’s then-upcoming testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding his conversations with President Donald Trump, the president has done nothing wrong.

“A sitting President has absolute authority to ask about any investigation as long as the Prez does not interfere in fact gathering process,” he wrote in a tweet.

In Comey’s testimony the next morning, the former director admitted that in February the president allegedly asked him to drop the bureau’s investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who ostensibly resigned earlier that month after prior conversations between him and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak became public.

The problem is that Comey viewed that simple question as an “order” and now believes he was fired from his own position three months later partially because he failed to follow it. For the record, this belief is patently false.

Moreover, even if Trump had actually ordered Comey to stop the investigation, that order would itself not have been wrong either, according to law scholar Alan Dershowitz.

“(O)ur history shows that many presidents — from Adams to Jefferson, to Lincoln, to Roosevelt, to Kennedy, to Bush 1, and to Obama — have directed the Justice Department with regard to ongoing investigations,” he wrote Thursday in an op-ed for Fox News. “The history is clear, the precedents are clear, the constitutional structure is clear, and common sense is clear.”

But did Trump really “order” Comey to halt the investigation?

The answer to this question remains murky, though what former Director Comey himself wrote in his farewell letter is not: “I have long believed that a President can fire an FBI Director for any reason, or for no reason at all.”

OK, then why is Comey still complaining? And why are the “hysterical” media, as O’Reilly referred to them, acting as the former director’s testimony was somehow earth-shattering? Is it because they’re idiots or they’re just full of it? Knowing them, it’s probably both.

Bombshell: May 3rd Calendar Entry Will Clear Trump… Media in Panic Mode

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/bombshell-may-3rd-calendar/

The Washington Post may very well have led the American public seriously astray via its recent attacks on President Donald Trump. The Post claimed that FBI Director James Comey wrote a memo in which he said that Trump had asked him to drop the investigation on former administration member Michael Flynn, despite a clear claim to the contrary by Comey’s successor, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

What’s more frustrating than that is the fact that The Post claimed anonymous sources backed up its statements, but provided no real substance.

Just look for a second at this verbiage. This is an actual, serious line from The Washington Post that they just expect the good people of America to believe:

“‘I hope you can let this go, Trump said, according to the Comey notes, which were described by the associates. Comey’s written account of the meeting is two pages long and highly detailed, the associates said.”

And although Comey has not come out and said specifically that Trump never asked him to stop investing Flynn, he certainly seemed to imply it in May 3 testimony he gave the Senate Judiciary Committee.

When asked whether senior DOJ officials could ask the FBI to drop an investigation, Comey said flat-out, “It’s not happened in my experience,” according to a transcript, provided by, once again, The Washington Post.

Although that’s not a denial of Trump himself having asked Comey to drop the investigation, there does seem to be that implication at the very least. You’d think if Trump had said something, Comey would also have said something.

In fact, The Post’s statement doesn’t mean much at all when you consider the actual on-the-record-in-front-of-witnesses claims made by acting FBI director Andrew McCabe that fly right in the face of these unsubstantiated accusations.

When Sen. Marco Rubio asked McCabe before the Senate Intelligence Committee whether or not the firing of former FBI Director James Comey “in any way impeded, interrupted, stopped or negatively impacted any of the work, any investigation, or any ongoing projects at the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” McCabe’s response was even more definitive than the question given to him dictated.

“As you know, senator,” McCabe said, “the work of the men and women of the FBI continues despite any changes in circumstance, any decisions, so there has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.”

Huh. No effort at all to impede our investigation to date. Interesting.

The Washington Post’s editors tried to cover themselves by saying, “It’s unclear from the questioning if McCabe was talking solely about the consequences of Comey’s abrupt firing, or referring to a specific investigation on Trump’s associates for possible connections to Russian officials.”

Yeah, right. That’s not the only thing unclear here.

Breaking: CIA Admits Russia NOT Behind Hack, and Obama CIA Chief IS Behind Trump-Russia Rumors

Reported By Onan Coca |  April 20, 2017

Wikileaks CIA

Thursday has NOT been a banner day for the CIA (or the FBI). Dueling stories have exposed the profound failures of the CIA during the Obama administration.

In one story we finally learn that Russia was NOT behind the hacks that exposed so much embarrassing information from the CIA. Instead the CIA and FBI are now admitting that it was an insider, and the CIA is currently hunting for that leaker. The second story explains how former CIA chief John Brennan worked hard to undermine the possibility of Donald Trump becoming President by leaking intelligence from our European allies to the rest of the government and to the media. It’s a sordid, and ugly story that finally proves just how dastardly, and underhanded Brennan truly is.

CBS News broke the story on the CIA leaks:

CBS News has learned that a manhunt is underway for a traitor inside the Central Intelligence Agency.

The CIA and FBI are conducting a joint investigation into one of the worst security breaches in CIA history, which exposed thousands of top-secret documents that described CIA tools used to penetrate smartphones, smart televisions and computer systems.

Sources familiar with the investigation say it is looking for an insider — either a CIA employee or contractor — who had physical access to the material. The agency has not said publicly when the material was taken or how it was stolen.

WikiLeaks published the leaked material in March and CBS points out that WikiLeaks has said all along that they got the material from a CIA insider. What CBS fails to report is that for quite some time our intelligence community and the media have been blaming Russia for these leaks (WikiLeaks published the material in March but has had it for longer), when the truth is that Russia seems to have had NOTHING to do with it.

The UK’s Guardian newspaper broke the story on John Brennan though they attempted to shield the Obama/Clinton acolyte from blowback even as they explained his underhanded dealings.

(Our own Andrew West brought part of this story to you earlier today.)

The Guardian  explained that British spies first noticed the connections between the Trump team and the Russians but that other European intelligence agencies soon also picked up on the ties. These agencies then brought that information to Brennan at the CIA, because, the Guardian opines, American laws don’t allow our own intelligence agencies to spy on American citizens.

The Guardian has been told the FBI and the CIA were slow to appreciate the extensive nature of contacts between Trump’s team and Moscow ahead of the US election. This was in part due to US law that prohibits US agencies from examining the private communications of American citizens without warrants. “They are trained not to do this,” the source stressed.

“It looks like the [US] agencies were asleep,” the source added. “They [the European agencies] were saying: ‘There are contacts going on between people close to Mr Trump and people we believe are Russian intelligence agents. You should be wary of this.’

The reality is that our agencies weren’t “asleep,” they too could see the interactions, there just wasn’t any reason to think that the connections between some Trump team members and Russia was underhanded. While we in the United States believe in due process and the need for the government to have “probable cause” before accusing people of wrongdoing, apparently in Europe, no such probable cause is necessary.

The American Spectator explains what the Guardian‘s report had really uncovered. Here’s a hint, it wasn’t wrongdoing by Trump… but by John Brennan and the CIA:

Seeking to retain his position as CIA director under Hillary, [John] Brennan teamed up with British spies and Estonian spies to cripple Trump’s candidacy. He used their phony intelligence as a pretext for a multi-agency investigation into Trump, which led the FBI to probe a computer server connected to Trump Tower and gave cover to Susan Rice, among other Hillary supporters, to spy on Trump and his people.

John Brennan’s CIA operated like a branch office of the Hillary campaign, leaking out mentions of this bogus investigation to the press in the hopes of inflicting maximum political damage on Trump. An official in the intelligence community tells TAS that Brennan’s retinue of political radicals didn’t even bother to hide their activism, decorating offices with “Hillary for president cups” and other campaign paraphernalia…

Any other CIA director would have disregarded such a flaky tip, recognizing that Estonia was eager to see Trump lose (its officials had bought into Hillary’s propaganda that Trump was going to pull out of NATO and leave Baltic countries exposed to Putin). But Brennan opportunistically seized on it, as he later that summer seized on the half-baked intelligence of British spy agencies (also full of officials who wanted to see Trump lose).

The truth is clear, Obama’s intelligence community worked hard to scuttle Donald Trump’s presidential aspirations and ensure that Hillary Clinton would become President. When that didn’t work, they turned to the media for help undermining the newly elected president and the media embraced the farce with gusto. The nighttime tales of Russian terror are nothing more than fairytales told by Obama’s cronies and regurgitated to the American people by a complicit media that seems willing to believe and repeat any negative story they hear about Donald Trump.

Report: Obama Admin Blocked FBI Director’s Offer To Reveal Russian Meddling

Reported by Photo of Chuck Ross Chuck Ross | Reporter | 9:32 PM 03/29/2017

URL of the original posting site:  http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/29/report-obama-admin-blocked-fbi-directors-offer-to-reveal-russian-meddling/#ixzz4cqMF4bv0

FBI Director James Comey planned to write an op-ed early last summer making the case that Russia was meddling in the U.S. election, but other top Obama administration officials vetoed the idea. That’s according to a report from Newsweek magazine.

“The White House shut it down,” one source told the magazine of Comey’s op-ed offer. “They did their usual — nothing.”

The revelation, if accurate, would appear to suggest that the Obama administration did not take Russia’s meddling in the presidential campaign as seriously as many Democrats would have liked. Comey, who took over the FBI in 2013, proposed the op-ed during a meeting in June or July in the situation room of the White House in which Sec. of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, National Security Advisor Susan Rice and Sec. of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson were also present, according to Newsweek.

“He had a draft of it or an outline. He held up a piece of paper in a meeting and said, ‘I want to go forward, what do people think of this?’” a source with knowledge of the meeting told Newsweek of Comey.

According to Newsweek’s source, Comey’s op-ed would have laid out some of the evidence showing that the Kremlin was attempting to influence the presidential election. The Obama administration would not make a similar public accusation until Oct. 7, when the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security alleged that Russia was involved in cyber attacks against Democrats.

The piece, which likely would have been placed at an outlet like The New York Times, would not have revealed anything about an investigation into possible ties between the Russian government and Trump campaign. Comey said earlier this month that the FBI opened that probe in early July.

The other Obama administration officials opposed the idea, Newsweek reports, because they preferred a more coordinated message.

“An op-ed doesn’t have the same stature, it comes from one person,” Newsweek’s source said.

Democrats have blamed the Obama administration for failing to address Russian meddling early enough in the campaign cycle. Comey has been one of the biggest targets for criticism, largely because of his public involvement in the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.

300 refugees subjects of FBI terror investigations, U.S. officials say

Authored By | Published March 06, 2017 | FoxNews.com

URL of the original posting site: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/06/300-refugees-subjects-fbi-terror-investigations-u-s-officials-say.html

Hundreds of people admitted to the United States as refugees are the subjects of FBI counterterrorism investigations involving ISIS – including some individuals from countries cited on President Trump’s revised travel ban. Trump’s order, which was announced late Monday morning, temporarily bans travel to those without valid visas from Sudan, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

Nearly a third of the 1,000 FBI domestic terrorism cases – 300 – involve those admitted to the U.S. as refugees, a Department of Homeland Security official said Monday. That number was confirmed later in the day by Attorney General Jeff Sessions during a news conference. Officials said some of those 300 came to “infiltrate” the U.S., while others were radicalized once they were in the country.

“Like every nation, the United States has a right to control who enters our country and to keep out those who would do us harm,” Sessions said.

The officials who spoke Monday morning didn’t detail the current immigration status of those 300 people who were subjects of government terror probes, Reuters reported, citing a source.

One official also sought to clarify the apparent conflict with a leaked DHS report that appeared to show no connection between refugees and terrorism. The official said the draft document, which was reported by The Associated Press on Feb. 24, was not complete, had not been vetted through the interagency process and did not reflect classified information.

FBI Director James Comey said in late 2015 that some 900 terror investigations were going on, and probes were active in every state. But Monday’s development marked the first official concrete linkage between the refugee program and terrorism. At the time, Comey indicated the bureau was stretched thin by the sheer volume of investigations.

“If that becomes the new normal,” Comey said, “that would be hard to keep up.”

Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly said the travel ban announced Monday was a key to ansuring the refugee program is conducted safely.

“We must undertake a rigorous review of our visa and refugee vetting programs to increase our confidence in the entry decisions we make for visitors and immigrants to the United States,” Kelly said. “We cannot risk the prospect of malevolent actors using our immigration system to take American lives.”

Several refugees have already participated in mass attacks in recent years motivated by apparent Islamic radicalism.

  • Somali refugee Abdul Razak Ali Artan rammed his car into a crowd at The Ohio State University in November after posting a message on Facebook warning America not to interfere with Muslim communities.
  • Somali refugee Dahir Adan reportedly yelled “Allahu Akbar” and asked one victim if they were Muslim during a September rampage in which he stabbed and injured nine people at a Minnesota mall.
  • Seddique Mateen, the father of Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, is an Afghan refugee.
  • Countless other refugees have been convicted of plotting attacks or planning to join ISIS abroad.

Though they didn’t enter the nation as refugees, several other terrorists have benefited from inadequate vetting to come to the U.S.

  • Tashfeen Malik, who was born in Pakistan, came to the U.S. on a K-1 “fiancée” visa prior to engaging in a deadly shooting spree with husband Syed Rizwan Farook that killed 14 and injured 22 others in December 2015.
  • Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the brothers who orchestrated the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, were born in Kyrgyzstan and entered the U.S. when their family filed for asylum.

A Reasoned Perspective: “Agents Must Now Blow Whistle on Clinton/Obama Corruption”

We are in uncharted territory. Unfettered corruption has metastasized to the highest levels of government. FBI Director James Comey, a man once widely respected throughout all levels of law enforcement, has sadly sealed his legacy as a crooked shill for the Clinton crime family. It’s the theatre of the absurd. Based upon his Sunday announcement that he intends to put the kibosh, for now at least, on Hillary Clinton’s criminal investigations, Mr. Comey has asked the American people to believe that the FBI thoroughly reviewed 650,000 emails from Anthony Weiner’s laptop in a whopping 691,200 seconds. I suspect Comey may have come across details of his own impending “suicide” on Weiner’s hard drive. It’s little wonder that trust for government is at an all-time low, and that the FBI has become a national laughing stock.

Indeed, a preponderance of legal and political analysists agree that the level of corruption and cover-up forcing Richard Nixon to resign his presidency in disgrace in 1974, pales by comparison to the evidence behind the multiple criminal investigations surrounding Hillary Clinton – the Democratic Party’s embattled presidential nominee. Both the Clinton Foundation and Clinton email scandals represent, jointly and separately, Watergate on steroids.

While a week ago Mr. Comey sent a letter to both Republicans and Democrats in Congress advising them that, “In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear pertinent to the [ongoing Clinton] investigation,” an even greater bombshell shook the Clinton camp mid-week. “Fox News reports Wednesday night that the FBI’s Clinton Foundation probe has produced an ‘avalanche of evidence’ likely to result in indictments,” reports the Washington Times.

“Bret Baier, based on two sources, said in a tweet that ‘barring obstruction they’d likely continue 2 push to try for an indictment.’” The “obstruction” referenced, as Baier later explained, is that presently being conducted by the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) in general, and Attorney General Loretta Lynch in particular. As leaks indicate, the DOJ has placed a roadblock at every corner in an effort to obstruct the ongoing FBI investigations into Mrs. Clinton’s illicit activities. Multiple reports further indicate that said DOJ obstruction has triggered an uprising within the Bureau.

“Mr. Baier,” continues the Times, “said the probe into pay-for-play charges at the Foundation by the Bureau’s White Collar Crime division has been going on for more than a year and has involved multiple interviews with numerous individuals.”

It doesn’t take a beltway insider to recognize that if Hillary Clinton takes the White House on Tuesday, an unprecedented constitutional crisis looms large. An already divided nation will be thrown into chaos, and a hyper-partisan Washington D.C. will effectively settle, like concrete, into total gridlock.

The aforementioned criminal investigations into Secretary Clinton’s activities, though intertwined in a tangled webcover-her-hatred of deleted emails, pay-to-play shakedowns and obstruction of justice, are otherwise quite easy to understand. While serving as Secretary of State Mrs. Clinton had a private email server installed in the basement of her Chappaqua, NY home with the express, and very much illegal, purpose of leveraging her federal power and authority to both solicit Clinton Foundation donations, and to conduct official State business. The private server enabled her to avoid government oversight and accountability, and to racketeer under cover of darkness.

Mrs. Clinton then obtained and used a private email address, hdr22@clintonemail.com, to conceal her illicit activity. While soliciting bribes from foreign dignitaries, Islamic terrorist nations, and foreign corporate wheeler-dealers, she likewise transmitted highly classified government information over her unsecured network. No less than five enemy nations then hacked the account with little difficulty, gaining access to classified State secrets.

Mrs. Clinton shamelessly – treasonously – placed her own personal enrichment above national security and the lives and safety of American citizens both at home and abroad.

Thus, in the interest of both justice and the best interests of the American people, FBI agents and other government flateringofficials with direct evidence of Hillary Clinton’s crimes (and the Obama DOJ’s ongoing cover-up) should immediately release that evidence to both Congress and the public at large. It’s not a “leak” when the level of systemic crime and corruption has reached critical mass, as it has within both the Obama administration and Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign.

These public servants will be whistleblowers, not rogue agents – patriots, not partisans. Their oath is to the U.S. Constitution, not to a second rate community organizer, his Marxist political party, or that party’s career criminal presidential nominee.

They’d better hurry, though. Mr. Obama likely has his Clinton pardon already drafted and saved on “we the people’s” very-much-secure government server.
