COMMENTARY: Walmart Mass Shooter Left Behind Suicide Note – Includes 4 Words Media Doesn’t Want to Talk About

The way you can tell the media is going to move on from the shooting at a Chesapeake, Virginia, Walmart that claimed the lives of six people is that there’s absolutely no handle for them.

Race? Not a factor — accused shooter Andre Bing, who later killed himself, was black. The gun? Not an AR-15 or an associated long rifle — the handgun he used was legally purchased. His victims weren’t chosen for any other reason than that they were his coworkers at the store.

And there are four words you definitely won’t hear them talk about from the alleged shooter’s suicide note: “led by the Satan.”

The note, which Chesapeake police say they found on the phone of the 31-year-old Bing, was released in a series of tweets on Friday.

In the rambling screed, Bing said he was offended because his coworkers compared him to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

“I would never have killed anyone that entered my home,” he said, calling his fellow employees “idiots with low intelligence” who tormented him with what he described as “evil twisted grins.”

“Sorry God I’ve failed you, this was not your fault but my own,” he wrote. “I failed to listen to the groans of the holy spirit which made me a poor representation of You.”

“My only wish would have been to start over from scratch and that my parents would have paid closer attention to my social deficits,” he continued.

“Sorry everyone but I did not plan this, I promise things just fell in place like I was led by the Satan.”

So, guess how many times Satan was mentioned in CNN’s write-up of the suicide note? Zero.

Instead, we got this: “The note — found on his phone — talks about God, the holy spirit, and how the author felt his ‘associates’ were mocking him.”

Nowhere in the article is it mentioned how he was addressing God or talking about the Holy Spirit. One is left with the distinct impression he was inspired by God, not by the embodiment of sin and evil.

By ignoring Satan, the media ignores the fact very real spiritual evil exists. “We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one,” 1 John 5:19 reads. Even a CNN reporter can look at the outlet’s own homepage and realize how true the last part of that equation is.

Focusing on that, however, would lead too many readers to ruminate on the state of our fallen world and to blame individuals — not guns, politicians or religion — for the shooting.

With the shooting at a Colorado Springs, Colorado, gay nightclub, those scapegoats were too easy. It was the fault of religion. Of Tucker Carlson and Lauren Boebert. Of the so-called “assault weapon.”

This time, four disgusting words spell out what motivated this and so many other mass murderers: “led by the Satan.”

Expect the media to do everything to avoid talking about the inconvenient fact that good and evil are real, objective things. They’re going to avoid it because they want to exist in a godless bubble where good and evil are determined by manmade standards.

Tragically, shootings like the one in Chesapeake show exactly what happens when those concepts are left to human arbiters.

‘The Real Hero’: Good Guy with Gun Ends Mass Shooting in Indiana Mall

Less than three weeks after Indiana’s new constitutional carry law went into effect, an armed bystander shot and killed an assailant suspected of fatally shooting three people and injuring two others in an Indiana mall on Sunday evening.

Reports of a shooting in the Greenwood Park Mall began around 6 p.m. on Sunday when an unnamed gunman opened fire in the food court. After striking at least one male and four females including a 12-year-old girl, the suspected shooter was quickly shot and killed by a bystander who “observed the shooting in progress.”

As of Monday morning, police had not released the identity of the man who shot the gunman, but local news reports indicated he is 22 years old and from the nearby Bartholomew County.

“The real hero of the day is the citizen that was lawfully carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop the shooter almost as soon as he began,” Greenwood Police Chief Jim Ison told reporters.

Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers also praised the “good Samaritan” for stopping “further bloodshed.”

“This person saved lives tonight,” Myers said in a statement. “On behalf of the City of Greenwood, I am grateful for his quick action and heroism in this situation.”

CNN tried to downplay the “good guy with a gun” by claiming that it is extremely rare for armed citizens to step in. Their article about the shooting dedicated four paragraphs to warning that, according to a New York Times data chart, “having more than one armed person at the scene who is not a member of law enforcement can create confusion and carry dire risks.”

Several local news outlets centered their coverage on the narrative that the man who took down the suspected assailant violated the mall’s no weapons policy.

“Armed ‘Good Samaritan’ stopped Indiana mall shooting, broke mall rules,” WANE 15 reported.

According to Fox 59 out of Indianapolis, the mall owner, Simon Property Group, “states in its code of conduct that no weapons are allowed at their shopping centers.” It isn’t until later in the article that Fox 59 noted, “While the property group has the ability to set policies against weapons, what the man did was not illegal.”

Meanwhile, Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts took a swipe at the good guy with a gun and the Second Amendment, and Kris Brown, president of the anti-gun Brady Campaign, smeared him as a “vigilante.”

Under pressure from a wave of primary challengers this spring who made constitutional carry a top critique of Republican incumbents, the GOP-controlled legislature and governor passed a new law earlier this year that no longer requires gun owners to obtain a permit to legally “carry, conceal or transport a handgun within the state.” The law took effect on July 1.

A Houston police sergeant is also being hailed as a hero after he tackled a man armed with a rifle, 120 rounds of ammunition, and a handgun in the Houston Galleria over the weekend.

Video: Uvalde Body Cam, CCTV Footage Released – Shows ENTIRE Botched Police Response

The full 77-minute video has been released from the day 19 children and two teachers were killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The full video, which includes a hallway surveillance camera and a bodycam from one officer, was obtained by the Austin American-Statesman. The outlet posted the four-minute edited collection of excerpts on its website. It posted the full video on its YouTube page.

The edited video begins with the gunman crashing the pickup truck he was driving, and then moving to the school after shooting at witnesses across the street and firing shots in the school parking lot.

WARNING: The following video contains images and audio that viewers will find disturbing.

“The video tells in real time the brutal story of how heavily armed officers failed to immediately launch a cohesive and aggressive response to stop the shooter and save more children if possible. And it reinforces the trauma of those parents, friends and bystanders who were outside the school and pleaded with police to do something, and for those survivors who quietly called 911 from inside the classroom to beg for help,” Statesman reporter Tony Plohetski wrote.
“The kids are running,” a woman calls out during the video in a 911 call, adding “Oh my God.”

Panic-stricken screams are heard as a woman orders children into their rooms.

The excerpt then continues with the shooter entering the school, peering around a corner to rooms 111 and 112, before sauntering down the hallway holding his rifle. The video captures one boy emerging from a bathroom. The boy peers around the corner and looks at the shooter, who is farther down the hall, before running away upon hearing the first shots.

Officials have said in the next two and a half minutes, about 100 rounds were fired, according to the Daily Mail.

Gunfire continues.

A few moments later, the first officers arrive.

Three officers approach the classroom warily with drawn weapons. A burst of gunfire erupts, sending the officers running. One officer holds his head as if he was struck.

The clip video then cuts to 19 minutes later, then 31 minutes later, as more officers with guns and a ballistic shield arrive. Officers continue to wait. Four shots are heard.

“They’re making entry,” an officer says, but nothing happens.

At 12:30 p.m. local time, an officer squirts hand sanitizer from a wall-mounted dispenser and rubs his hands together. Officers appear to be discussing alternate ways to enter the classroom.

At 12:50, officers breach the classroom, killing the gunman.

Republican state Rep. Dustin Burrows said Tuesday that most sections of the hallway video will be shown to Uvalde community members on Sunday.

However, with the leak of the entirety of the footage, more backlash is sure to ensue.

Off-duty Border Patrol agent rushed into Uvalde school with borrowed gun, says police stood outside in ‘gear’

Jacob Albarado, the off-duty Border Patrol agent who rushed into Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, to save his wife and daughter, joined NBC’s “Today” show on Tuesday to recount his harrowing experience. Albarado told host Savannah Guthrie that he believes police were “doing the best they could, given the circumstances,” but details he inadvertently revealed during the interview have raised new questions about the Uvalde police response.

Albarado explained that he was getting a haircut when he received a text message from his wife, Trisha, who is a fourth-grade teacher at the elementary school.

“There’s an active shooter. Help. I love you,” the text said, according to Albarado.

Albarado described how he borrowed his barber’s shotgun and rushed to the school to save his wife and 8-year-old daughter, Jayda. As he made his way into the school, he saw police officers in “their gear” gathered outside.

“Did you ever see those officers that were poised outside the door?” asked Guthrie. “Obviously, there’s a lot of scrutiny now with [the police] actions and whether they should have gone in,” she added.

“At one point, I was there at the door fixing to go in, but once again, I didn’t have any of my gear,” Albarado answered. “It wouldn’t have been a smart move for me. All those guys had their gear and stuff. […] My wife texted me, called me, that she was okay …. so I went on to find my daughter in her wing.”

After finding and getting his daughter out safely, Albarado went on to evacuate the rest of the classrooms in that wing while two officers provided cover, according to the New York Times.

Abarado, who is currently “out of work” due to an unrelated surgery he had just two days after the shooting, has started a fundraiser on GoFundMe to help cover his family’s expenses. He says his wife will not be teaching this summer “because she is too traumatized from the events that occurred on May 24th” and that his family will need “time and plenty of counseling” but promises to keep “pushing forward one day at a time.”

4th Grader Who Survived Uvalde Reveals What Shooter Said, Did After Entering Classroom

A new report says that the Texas school shooter told fourth graders what was coming after he shot his way into their classroom Tuesday at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. The report from KENS-TV was based on the account of a fourth-grade pupil it did not name. The gunman killed 19 children and two adults before he was killed in a shootout with law enforcement. The fourth grader explained that the ordeal began with a gunshot.

“He shot the next person’s door, and then, we have a door in the middle, and he opened it. And then he came in. He crouched a little bit, and he said, ‘It’s time to die,’” the boy said.

The boy was doing all he could to survive.

“When I heard the shooting through the door, I told my friend to hide under something, so he won’t find us. I was hiding hard. And I was telling my friend to not talk because he is going to hear us.”

Four boys hid with the child who spoke to KENS, partially shielded by a tablecloth. The boy recounted a harrowing moment near the end of the ordeal.

“When the cops came, the cop said, ‘Yell if you need help!’ And then one of the persons in my class said ‘help.’ The guy overheard, and he came in and shot her,” the boy said.
“The cop barged into that classroom, and the guy shot the cops. And the cops just started shooting,” he said.

Then came silence.

“I just opened the curtain. And I just put my hand out,” he said. “I got out with my friend. I knew it was the police when I saw the armor and the shield.”

The boy recalled the actions of his slain teachers, Irma Garcia and Eva Mireles.

“They were nice teachers,” he said. “They went in front of my classmates to help. To save them.”

Fear ran through the school as the attack began, according to another child.

“We were scared, and the teacher started telling us we can pray,” Timothy Silva, 8, told CBS.

His second-grade teacher alerted the students, he said.

“She started yelling, and I didn’t think it was a drill because they would have announced it. The teacher just went out there and started yanking on our door to go hide.”

Tree of Life Synagogue Rabbi Jeffrey Meyers said Thursday on CNN’s “New Day” that he was “pleasantly surprised” by President Donald Trump’s warmth and compassion during his visit to Pittsburgh.

“I was privileged to have a private 15 or 20 minutes with the (Trump) family. The president was very warm, very consoling,” Meyers said.

“He put his hand on my shoulder and the first question he asked me was, ‘Rabbi, tell me how are you doing?’ And I must say throughout the time we spent together I was pleasantly surprised by a warm and personal side to the president that I don’t think America has ever seen,” he added.

Meyers said he told the president about his ordeal and said they discussed the issue of hate speech, along with other personal matters.

“I told my personal story of my experience, which they found quite shocking and upsetting,” he said.

“We talked. I shared the same message that I shared with you throughout the course of the week — that hate speech has no place in our society, that hate speech leads to actions of hate. Hate speech led to the death of seven of my congregants and 11 total in my building.

“And we shared other personal conversation that I’d respectfully like to keep personal.”

Meyers said it was important to walk the president through the memorial so he could know who was taken and fully understand how devastating the shooting was on the community.

“I have been through this a few times. I don’t know how people would react to see that horror. It’s seared in my brain and it’s a sight I’ll never forget the rest of my life,” Meyers said.

“After we lit the 11 memorial candles, I chanted … the memorial prayer in Hebrew and in English. The president then asked me if I would escort he and the first lady to the makeshift memorial … and I gave him a bit of a background story about each person because it was a human being who lived, who was a good, decent person and the president needed to know something about these people because they, too, were his citizens.”

This Weeks Ann Coulter Letter: “The Doomsday Scenario: What If School Walkouts Don’t Work?”

The New York Times seemed to think it was bitterly ironic that some of the students at Santa Fe High School, site of the recent mass shooting, had staged a walkout last month in support of the Parkland, Florida, students. But now, only a month later, one of the students who participated in the walkout is in the hospital from yet another school shooting.

I suppose we could revel in the irony, but, as a more results-oriented person, what I take from that vignette is that school walkouts are not effective deterrents to school shootings. I’m not sure the poems did much either.

These are hideous events that require serious proposals, not the self-indulgent mawkishness our media keep serving up. Here are some news items that might help us figure out how to reduce the number of school shooting victims.

— May 3, 2017, Arlington, Texas: James Jones went to the Zona Caliente sports bar and began yelling incoherently. When the manager, Cesar Perez, went to talk to him and calm him down, Jones pulled out a gun and shot Perez dead, then started shooting wildly at patrons. Luckily, a concealed carry holder happened to be having dinner at Zona Caliente with his wife that night. He shot Jones dead before anyone else was hurt.

— Aug. 7, 2016, Linndale, Ohio: Two men getting into their car in a Dollar Store parking lot were held up by a masked armed robber. As the gunman, Varshaun Stephen Dukes, was rifling through one of the men’s pockets, the other pulled out his concealed handgun and told him to stop. The robber fired at the man but missed. The concealed carry permit holder shot back, putting a .45 bullet in the robber’s brain. (Naturally, he survived.) All of this was captured on the Dollar Store’s surveillance camera, so no charges were brought against the armed citizen.

— June 26, 2016, Lyman, South Carolina: Jody Ray Thompson opened fire in the crowded Playoffz nightclub, injuring three. But before he could kill anyone, he was shot in the leg by a club patron with a concealed carry license. Police arrested Thompson without further incident and no one died.

— May 31, 2015, Conyers, Georgia: After arguing with a liquor store clerk, Jeffrey Scott Pitts returned with a gun and began shooting at everyone in the store, killing two. Todd Scott, who was there to buy a six-pack, returned fire. The crazed gunman fled, went home and shot his parents. “He was very surprised that he was not the only one in the store with a gun,” Scott said. Apart from the two people killed in Pitts’ opening barrage, no one died. Scott saved the lives of everyone else in that store.

— July 24, 2014, Darby, Pennsylvania: Felon and psychiatric patient Richard Plotts pulled out a gun at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, murdered his caseworker and wounded his psychiatrist, Dr. Lee Silverman. He would have kept shooting — Plotts had 39 more bullets — but the doctor pulled out his own gun and fired back, in violation of the hospital’s no-guns rule. No one else died.

— Jan. 11, 2014, Portland, Oregon: After being turned away from a strip club in Portland, repeat felon Thomas Elliott Hjelmeland came back, wearing a clown mask, guns blazing. He hit a waitress, a security guard and a patron before a bouncer, concealed carry permit holder Jonathan Baer, returned fire and ended the attack. No one died.

— Dec. 16, 2012, San Antonio, Texas: Jesus Manuel Garcia began shooting at the Santikos Mayan Palace movie theater from a nearby restaurant and continued shooting as he walked toward the theater. An armed off-duty cop shot Garcia four times, stopping the attack. No one died.

— March 25, 2018, Boiling Springs, South Carolina: Jesse Gates kicked in a side door of the Southside Freewill Baptist Church during services, raised his gun to shoot — but was grabbed and held at gunpoint by the reverend’s grandson, a concealed carry permit holder. No one was hurt. Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said, “I like the fact that a concealed weapons permit holder was prepared to protect the worshipers.”

It’s seems like it’s been awhile since we’ve heard of a crazed gunman being quickly disarmed at a school. Maybe because we’ve been trying to stop mass shootings with gun-free school zones.

Here are some older school shooting cases that had comparatively happy endings.

— In 2001, 15-year-old Charles Williams tried to shoot up his high school in Santee, California, but luckily, an off-duty cop happened to be bringing his daughter to school that day. He ended Williams’ rampage with his own gun, holding him until more police arrived. Two fatalities.

— In 1998, a 14-year-old student began shooting up a school dance being held at a restaurant in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. The restaurant owner pulled out a shotgun, keeping the death toll to one.

— In 1997, a student shot several people at his high school in Pearl, Mississippi, killing two, and was headed to the junior high, until assistant principal Joel Myrick retrieved a .45 pistol from his car and pointed it at the gunman’s head. Another massacre averted.

— In 1993, student Mark Duong pulled out a gun during his disciplinary hearing at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, wounding three people, including the police officer, who, luckily, had been asked to attend the hearing. The officer immediately shot the psychotic student dead, saving the lives of everyone in the room.

We can try the walkouts, rallies, moments of silence, media adulation, poems and fist salutes. But if the full arsenal of liberal disapprobation doesn’t stop schizophrenics from going on shooting sprees, concealed carry laws will at least save a lot of lives.

School Shooter Found Carrying Symbol Linked to Radical Trump Haters

Details about the alleged perpetrator of Friday’s school shooting are beginning to emerge, and they seem to dismantle leftist narratives about gun violence.

At least nine people were killed during an attack at Santa Fe High School in Texas. Authorities have confirmed that part of the criminal’s plot involved makeshift bombs most likely constructed from pressure cookers, and at least one armed police officer engaged the shooter at the school.

That suspected criminal has now been taken into custody and revealed as a 17-year-old student. As journalists poured over the alleged shooter’s social media accounts, they found something chilling.

It appears that the shooter proudly wore a piece of pro-Communist propaganda on his clothing as he carried out the attack.

Photos and descriptions from the accused criminal’s Facebook page show an unmistakable Soviet “hammer and sickle” pin placed prominently on the lapel of his jacket — the same jacket that witnesses said he wore during the rampage.

The “hammer and sickle” is the exact same symbol used by many far-left anti-Trump activists, including “Antifa.”

Metro UK newspaper published screenshots of the suspect’s account and showed a red Socialist star with the hammer and sickle. The student’s own description confirmed what the pin meant. “Duster Hammer and Sickle = Rebellion,” he wrote.

The star pin appeared to be identical or similar to items available from MarxistBooks.com and other pro-socialist propaganda outlets.

More recently, the symbol has become the de facto icon of radical anti-Trump protesters. There are numerous examples of liberal protesters waving the hammer and sickle flag or using the iconography on banners protesting the president and conservatism.

It appears that wearing the trench coat with its pro-socialist propaganda was common for the alleged shooter.

“Dustin Severin, a 17-year-old student, told local NBC affiliate KPRC that he saw (the shooter) in the hallway shortly before the bullets started flying — and that he was wearing his usual outfit,” reported NBC.

“He wears a trench coat every day, and it’s like 90 degrees out here,” the witness said.

The jacket also had other pins, including a rising sun that symbolizes “kamikaze tactics,” and Baphomet, an idol of the Occult that is associated with evil.

More details about the shooter and this horrible crime will emerge over the coming days. What is already clear, however, is that this was a disturbed person bent on carrying out harm … and the liberal media’s narratives about conservatives being to blame for these crimes just does not hold water.

As Mansfield told her schoolmates, massacres like the one in Florida last month “are happening from these kids that you guys are cornering out, that you’re bullying, that you’re doing all this stuff to because you think it’s funny.”

She went on to insist that the issue of bullying is very serious and has led to deadly consequences.

“All of these kids just want to be themselves, they want to be who they want to be in their own school,” she said. “They’re here to learn. They’re not here to bully. Kids shouldn’t be shooting up schools; we’re teenagers.”

Instead of further belittling victims of bullying and those dealing with emotional issues, Mansfield challenged her peers to rise above that reaction to demonstrate empathy and friendship to kids who need it most.

“You should say that you love your neighbor,” she said. “You should be there for them, sit with them at lunch, tell them that you’re their friend, that you’re going to be there for them whenever they need you.”

Even if a personal struggle is not immediately obvious, Mansfield said everyone can benefit from such expressions of kindness.

“Just because they’re already dealing with bullying at school enough, and they have their own problems at home whether you know it or not,” she said. “Everybody does and I don’t know why it’s so hard to be nice and care and love each other. Like, it’s not hard.”

The student acknowledged that some walkout participants would laugh at her for sharing her thoughts, but she remained undeterred.

“I don’t care, because somebody said something while we were out here,” she said. “Somebody stood up.”

Though she apologized for appearing mad and speaking “aggressively,” Mansfield did not shy away from her decision to speak out when given the opportunity.

“Most of you are out here because you don’t want to be in class,” she said. “That’s it. Like, it’s stupid.”

Today’s Ann Coulter Letter: “The School-To-Mass-Murder Pipeline”

Nikolas Cruz’s psychosis ended in a bloody massacre not only because of the stunning incompetence of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department. It was also the result of liberal insanity working exactly as it was intended to.

School and law enforcement officials knew Cruz was a ticking time bomb. They did nothing because of a deliberate, willful, bragged-about policy to end the “school-to-prison pipeline.” This is the feature part of the story, not the bug part.

If Cruz had taken out full-page ads in the local newspapers, he could not have demonstrated more clearly that he was a dangerous psychotic. He assaulted students, cursed out teachers, kicked in classroom doors, started fist fights, threw chairs, threatened to kill other students, mutilated small animals, pulled a rifle on his mother, drank gasoline and cut himself, among other “red flags.” Over and over again, students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School reported Cruz’s terrifying behavior to school administrators, including Kelvin Greenleaf, “security specialist,” and Peter Mahmood, head of JROTC.

At least three students showed school administrators Cruz’s near-constant messages threatening to kill them — e.g., “I am going to enjoy seeing you down on the grass,” “Im going to watch ypu bleed,” “iam going to shoot you dead” — including one that came with a photo of Cruz’s guns. They warned school authorities that he was bringing weapons to school. They filed written reports.

Threatening to kill someone is a felony. In addition to locking Cruz away for a while, having a felony record would have prevented him from purchasing a gun.

All the school had to do was risk Cruz not going to college, and depriving Yale University of a Latino class member, by reporting a few of his felonies — and there would have been no mass shooting.

But Cruz was never arrested. He wasn’t referred to law enforcement. He wasn’t even expelled. Instead, Cruz was just moved around from school to school — six transfers in three years. But he was always sent back to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in order to mainstream him, so that he could get a good job someday!

The moronic idea behind the “school-to-prison pipeline” is that the only reason so many “black and brown bodies” are in prison is because they were disciplined in high school, diminishing their opportunities. End the discipline and … problem solved!

It’s like “The Wizard of Oz” in reverse. The Wizard told the Scarecrow: You don’t need an education, you just need a diploma! The school-to-prison pipeline idiocy tells students: You don’t need to behave in high school, you just need to leave with no criminal record!

Of course, killjoys will say that removing the consequences of bad behavior only encourages more bad behavior. But that’s not the view of Learned Professionals, who took summer courses at Michigan State Ed School. In a stroke of genius, they realized that the only problem criminals have is that people keep lists of their criminal activities. It’s the list that prevents them from getting into M.I.T. and designing space stations on Mars. Where they will cure cancer.

This primitive, stone-age thinking was made official Broward County policy in a Nov. 5, 2013, agreement titled “Collaborative Agreement on School Discipline.”

The first “whereas” clause of the agreement states that “the use of arrests and referrals to the criminal justice system may decrease a student’s chance of graduation, entering higher education, joining the military and getting a job.” Get it? It’s the arrest — not the behavior that led to the arrest — that reduces a student’s chance at a successful life. (For example, just look at how much the district’s refusal to arrest Nikolas Cruz helped him!

The agreement’s third “whereas” clause specifically cites “students of color” as victims of the old, racist policy of treating criminal behavior criminally.

Say, in the middle of a drive to cut back on the arrest or expulsion of “students of color,” how do you suppose the school dealt with a kid named “Nikolas Cruz”? Might there be some connection between his Hispanic last name and the school’s abject refusal to do anything about Cruz’s repeated criminal behavior?

Just a few months ago, the superintendent of Broward County Public Schools, Robert W. Runcie, was actually bragging about how student arrests had plummeted under his bold leadership. When he took over in 2011, the district had “the highest number of school-related arrests in the state.” But today, he boasted, Broward has “one of the lowest rates of arrest in the state.” By the simple expedient of ignoring criminal behavior, student arrests had declined by a whopping 78 percent.

FOOTBALL COACH: “When I took over this team a year ago, we were last in the league in pass defense. Today, we no longer keep that statistic!”

When it comes to spectacular crimes, it’s usually hard to say how it could have been prevented. But in this case, we have a paper trail. In the pursuit of a demented ideology, specific people agreed not to report, arrest or prosecute dangerous students like Nikolas Cruz. These were the parties to the Nov. 5, 2013, agreement that ensured Cruz would be out on the street with full access to firearms:

Nikolas Cruz may be crazy, but the parties to that agreement are crazy, too. They decided to make high school students their guinea pigs for an experiment based on a noxious ideology. The blood of 17 people is on their hands.

The Progressives Love Using Teens to Do the Gun Grabbing

We’ve all seen the teenagers after the horrible shooting in Parkland Florida. Our hearts break: that shooting was premeditated evil. Absolutely wrong.

But then those teens, still grieving, are being used as shills by the Lefty gun-grabbers whose ultimate goal is disarming the American people so the Enlightened Elitists can control the unwashed masses. These very Second Amendment haters have no problem when innocent babies are killed day after day via excruciatingly painful abortion procedures. But let a deranged person with a rifle kills kids and it’s time to overhaul the Constitution.

Isn’t it interesting that the same radical Lefties who pushed and finagled their way before the Supreme Court with Roe v. Wade, arguing that the right to privacy included the right to kill one’s unborn baby. They triumphed as the U.S. Supreme Court voted to strike down the Texas law which held abortion, for any reason other than rape or incest, to be illegal.

And voilà! The Burger Court found in favor of Jane Doe, creating a right to kill the unborn out of fairy dust. Or something. Because it sure as heck was not precedence and the Constitution.

Now those Lefties want to take a real right out of the Constitution that allows for the protection of life and liberty. And they have the perfect foils for their actions in the grief-stricken Florida teenagers.

Progressives have been instructing kids and they are primed to be center stage demanding an AR-15 ban. But that would just be the beginning. The real end game is the Second Amendment and you better believe America’s rampaging socialists would love nothing better that to take that Amendment out!

But what those sorrowful young people have not been taught is that the gun is an amoral, inanimate object. It is the heart, the will, of the shooter where bad intentions begin and take root.

President Adams famously wrote:

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Why would he say such a thing? Because John Adams understood the intrinsic value of principles that informed the heart. Things like the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule and more. Adams knew that a faith which ruled the heart would temper the actions. But, without those inner moral constraints government would need outer constraints and by necessity grow more and more strong and intrusive.

Well, we’ve taken away the Founders’ worldview, we’ve scourged government schools of every vestige of faith, we’ve told these kids they’re the random accident of nature, and concurrently made them believe the world revolves around them and their tender wittle feelings. Poor snowflakes.

Educators have done anything but educate for too many decades. Thanks to the mostly despotic control of education by radical Lefties, kiddies have been indoctrinated in all things radical, New Age, and perverse. They’ve been taught to distrust their parents and grandparents, but trust implicitly any teacher or professor.

Congratulations Progressives! You’ve raised a self-centered generation or three devoid of the very transcendent principles that prohibit both killing unborn babies and born children. Millennials, Gen-Xers, and Gen-Zers, for the most part, have no common sense or critical thinking skills. Now we find ourselves living among young Americans who don’t know the Constitution, don’t know our history. Young men and women who blame drunk drivers for driving while intoxicated, and not the car. But who, in the next breath, blame the GUN and not the evil shooter for shootings.

Welcome to the new America, where down is up and up is down, good is evil and evil is good. Has a familiar ring to it…I bet Billy Graham would know!

One thing you can be sure of, The Left is relishing this opportunity to use the mis-taught, tearful youth to do their gun grabbing.

Viral Meme Shows the Real Issue Behind Liberals’ Obsession With Gun Control

The only question after every school shooting is how quickly it begins. I’m talking, of course, about calls for guns to be banned and confiscated. This time, it was surprisingly swift and predictably fact-free.

There were, of course, the tweets from liberal luminaries, many of whom used outright lies masquerading as statistics to explain their position. Then there were the angry and/or weepy liberal news anchors berating the GOP for their response. The only twist in the narrative this time was a supposed political movement of cherry-picked high school students who were calling for gun control, all of which was given conspicuous coverage.

The FBI’s mishandling of the case, meanwhile, was pushed to the back-burner. The same thing happened to calls to focus on mental health, even though it quickly became clear the shooter had raised numerous red flags with his behavior in the past and was on the radar of law enforcement.

The most conspicuously-ignored proposal to stop shootings like the one in Parkland, Florida from occurring, however, was the suggestion that schools increase their security. In fact, when Ted Cruz went on CNN to talk about it, the network didn’t even bother to air the footage and half-anchor/half-pundit Chris Cuomo later had the audacity to call Cruz out for shirking an interview with “The Most Trusted Name In News.”

That’s because it involves guns — and, if there’s anything we know from the media, it’s that guns are evil and the more gun-free zones there are, the better. Yet, increased security on campus — in particular letting trained teachers conceal carry — seems to be one of the most effective ways to stop shooters in their tracks, or to stop them from considering schools a soft target in the first place.

You can see why this simple yet poignant cartoon has gone viral.

The primary issue with the idea of gun control — especially when it comes to school shootings — is that it primarily affects individuals who aren’t willing to break the law. Given the fact that the Florida shooter had already been on the FBI’s radar, he could have been stopped. But let’s suppose that he hadn’t been.

Say you ban AR-15s and other “assault weapons.” He still could have purchased handguns, which would be just as effective in a gun-free zone where there’s no trained security.

OK, say you ban guns entirely (even though, as per Heller v. D.C., the Supreme Court has already declared that unconstitutional). There are already plenty of illegal guns in the United States. A shooter could easily use the dark web to buy whatever he needed — assuming he didn’t have an illegal weapons connection in real life.

Let’s be clear: there’s no way to effectively confiscate all weapons in the United States, particularly those that are illegally possessed. That’s before you consider that, with the rise of 3D printing, the technology to make firearms is easier to obtain than ever.

That’s why all the gun-free zones and laws in the world won’t stop school shooters, especially given the fact that most of them plan these crimes months — if not years — in advance. The one thing they can always count on is the fact that most schools will be soft targets, with little to no security in their way.

After all that planning, they’re not going to get to the door and say to themselves, “Oh, no — a gun free zone? I’ve been foiled!” In fact, they’re counting on the school being a gun-free zone.

There are plenty of ways to stop mentally ill individuals intent on mass violence. Gun control or gun-free zones are not one of them, in spite of the left’s obsession with disarming Americans.

Matt Walsh: “I’m a Gun Owner, I Will Get Rid of My Gun Under These Conditions”

In the wake of the Parkland shooting, the media has been more than happy to hand the spotlight to any gun owner who shows a willingness to rid themselves of their gun. Whether or not this will actually affect gun safety — or even if they actually managed to destroy the gun — is pretty much irrelevant. Just look like you’re destroying and/or handing in your gun, make an impassioned (if fact-free) commentary about the Parkland shooting, and bam: instant viral star.

One prominent conservative — The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh — has also offered to give up his firearms. However, in a short-but-pithy piece for the publication, Walsh says there are a number of conditions for this offer to be valid.

“To be more specific, I will get rid of my gun the moment my gun becomes self-aware and develops the ability to go off by itself and shoot people on its own initiative,” Walsh wrote.

“I will get rid of my gun as soon as I begin to feel the insatiable urge to become a mass shooter,” he continued.

“I will get rid of my gun if I ever lose half my brain cells and no longer possess the basic competency to store and handle it safely.

“I will get rid of my gun if someone can pull out a Bible and show me the verse that makes it a sin merely to own a weapon, or to use it for self-defense.

“I will get rid of my gun if my gun ever becomes possessed by the Devil, or if I ever become possessed by the Devil.

“I will get rid of my gun the very moment that all evil is vanquished from human society, and wickedness is purged from the hearts of men, and there is no longer any danger in the world and the whole of mankind can live in utter peace and harmony. When Christ returns in His glory I will certainly lay down my arms. I do not plan on bringing my gun to Heaven.

“But we aren’t yet in Heaven. And that is why I have a gun. And that is why I won’t get rid of it.”

This is, of course, the one thing that the media is unlikely to point out: the fact that the easiest way to combat evil of the violent sort is a firearm. Period. This is something that the media loves to ridicule. Just look how they received President Trump’s suggestion that teachers ought to be armed. Yet, it’s also something that’s an undeniable fact. Look at the numerous examples where guns have saved lives. Look at where they could save lives.

We don’t live in Heaven, we live upon a very imperfect earth. Our founders realized this, and they gave us the right to bear arms. When we can bring Heaven down to earth, we can all give up our guns. Until then, good luck.

Man Goes Viral After “Destroying” AR-15, But Gun Expert Notices Something

If there’s a shooting involving an AR-15, or a gun like the AR-15, or even a gun with the letters “A” and “R” somewhere in its name, you can bet that the media is looking to use it to demonize the AR-15. After the shooting at the shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, last week, the AR-15 again came under scrutiny.

That’s not because it’s more deadly than other guns if school shooters have free rein — the Virginia Tech shooting, which claimed far more lives, was committed with simple handguns — but it’s become almost a symbol to both shooters and gun-grabbers alike.

In the wake of the Parkland shooting, one AR-15 owner went massively viral by “destroying” his gun in response. However, our gun expert looked at what he did to it and noticed something the media should have looked at before reporting the story.

“Scott Pappalardo owned his AR-15 rifle for more than 30 years,” ABC News reported on its Facebook page. “He even has a Second Amendment tattoo on his arm.

“This weekend, he destroyed his gun ‘to make sure this weapon will never be able to take a life.’” Thus, he cut it in half:

That video has gotten over 2.3 million views on ABC News’ Facebook account alone in just one day. However, did you notice the one thing about his “destruction” of the gun that seems a bit suspicious?

Jared Harris, our resident gun expert here at Conservative Tribune, certainly did.

Harris, a former infantryman who has extensive experience in weapons, says that if Pappalardo thought he was really destroying the weapon, he did it so ineptly one could argue he probably shouldn’t have owned it in the first place.

“He only sliced the barrel,” Harris said. “Those are less than $100 and literally screw into the upper part of the receiver.”

To put that into context, low-end AR rifles start at $500 minimum and can go up to several thousand dollars.

“It’s like throwing a tire into the garbage and declaring that you’ve destroyed an entire car.”

If Pappalardo truly thinks he’s destroyed the weapon, in other words, he’s actually made it more dangerous by thinking it’s destroyed and therefore harmless. If one thinks a gun is harmless, one is more likely to let it fall into the wrong hands — and that makes the gun way more dangerous than it was before it was “destroyed.”

Of course, this could be a stunt, or Pappalardo might just be trolling the heck out of the news media. Maybe he went on and ran over the gun 20 times with his truck before blowing it up in his backyard. All of these are options.

However, when the media uncritically reports that this man has “destroyed” an AR-15, it shows they know nothing about a gun they’re so eager to villainize.

FBI Too Busy Investigating Trump, Failed to Follow Up on School Shooter Tips

The FBI is coming under renewed scrutiny, after it was revealed that they received tips and strong clues that the shooter behind Wednesday’s school shooting in Florida planned to pull the trigger.

Americans have already been asking difficult questions about how the bureau handled the investigation of the Oct. 1 attack in Las Vegas, and the entire Department of Justice is caught up in a political scandal that implies bias and incompetence.

Now there is another question on people’s minds: Could the FBI have done more to stop the Florida incident?

According to CNN, the FBI received a tip as far back as September that a person named Nikolas Cruz might be planning a school shooting. “Ben Bennight, the 36-year-old YouTube video blogger from Mississippi, noticed in September an alarming comment on a video he’d posted,” the news network explained.

That comment declared, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter,” and was left by a person with the exact same name as the suspect behind the mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. Another similar tip was allegedly received by the FBI, but the bureau seemed to do almost nothing with the information.

“It was one of at least two alleged threat reports about the suspected shooter that the FBI received, according to a law enforcement official,” CNN reported. “In both cases, the FBI did not share the information with local law enforcement, the official said.” Emphasis added.

Bennight — one of the individuals who tipped the FBI about the suspect — said that agents did follow up with him to see if he knew the person who made the threatening comment, but when he told them he didn’t have more details, investigators appear to have stopped there.

“No other information was included with that comment which would indicate a time, location or the true identity of the person who made the comment,” insisted Special Agent Robert Lasky in a news conference after Wednesday’s shooting.

“The FBI conducted database reviews, checks but was unable to further identify the person who actually made the comment,” he stated.

Think about this for a moment. The person who left the threatening comment hinting at a school shooting apparently used their full name, which matches the suspect who was arrested. Even with a full name, the FBI couldn’t figure out who this person was?

Google-owned YouTube, where the comment was left, almost certainly tracks the IP addresses and vast amounts of other data — including GPS coordinates from Android phones — about each user who has an account. They surely would have cooperated with the FBI and shared this information.

Billions of dollars are spent on the FBI and the NSA, almost every detail of online activity is tracked in some way, and with the full name of a suspect the top investigators in the world couldn’t even narrow down where one person lived? If you’re a bit skeptical of that explanation, you’re not alone.

“(W)hen the FBI said it was the same name, the first thing that went through my mind was, ‘Wow, I hope you were at least watching this guy that I alerted you to months ago,” Bennight told CNN. They were not.

The frustrating reality is that big government agencies have a pretty appalling record when it comes to detecting and stopping crimes. FBI agents knew about Omar Mateen, but could not stop the Orlando nightclub shooting.

FBI officials were warned about the Tsarnaev brothers, but moved too sluggishly to prevent the deadly Boston marathon bombing. More recently, they moved extremely slowly in stopping a pedophile from abusing underage gymnasts.

There’s more: Government investigators failed to pass on information that could have stopped the Texas church shooter from obtaining weapons. The TSA routinely fails unannounced tests and allows dangerous weapons through airport security.

There is a disturbing trend of federal agencies dropping the ball when it comes to their sworn duties: The security and safety of American lives. Meanwhile, FBI authorities seemed to have plenty of time to scheme how to derail a presidential candidate, while seeing national security as boring.

It’s time to demand answers from these officials. Stopping every incident may not be possible, but the priorities and effectiveness of America’s protectors seem to be completely backward.

Watch: Off-Duty Cop Drops Thug in Costco, Stops America’s Next Mass Killing

We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep on saying it: A good guy with a gun is the best way to counter a bad guy with a gun.

Capt. Michael Howell of the Kansas City (Kansas) Police Department proved that yet again when he dropped a thug in a Costco who could have been America’s next mass shooter. The incident happened last month but the video was just released last week, according to the Kansas City Star. It shows how Howell managed to kill Ronald O. Hunt.

It happened on Nov. 26 in a Costco in Lenexa, Kansas. According to Howell, he was in the store when he heard Hunt say, “I’m an off-duty U.S. Marshal, I’m here to kill people.”

“I knew that there was a threat that had to be stopped,” Howell said during a Friday news conference.

As Hunt moved through the aisles in what was described as a methodical fashion, Howell tracked the potential killer and then surprised him with his weapon.

“’Police, drop the gun. Don’t move,’” Howell recalls commanding Hunt.

After Howell repeated his command, Hunt turned on the off-duty cop with his weapon.

“That is when I fired at him,” Howell said. “And he went down.”

Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe said that Howell “acted with extreme courage, and saved an unknown amount of innocent lives” and that he wouldn’t face charges over the shooting.

Howell said he just did what had to be done.

“My greatest fear was we had kids with their moms, with their grandmas, with their dads,” Howell said.

“It was little kids running and screaming. And seeing the fear in their faces and knowing whatever it took, I had to do whatever necessary to end this threat so they wouldn’t get hurt.”

Thankfully, as Hunt went through the store with a pistol and a shopping cart, most of the customers fled out the emergency exit.

Meanwhile, Howell should really never have been in the store that day. He had originally planned to go to the Kansas City Chiefs game, but decided to stay at home and get some rest, instead. He had gone to Costco to get an electric fireplace.

As for claims that he was a hero, Howell downplayed the idea.

“I’m just a cop doing my job,” Howell said.

Of course, you won’t hear much in the mainstream media about this off-duty cop doing his job, and how he managed to stop a potential mass murderer before the wannabe killer could injure a single person. That’s because the idea of a good guy with a gun trumping a bad guy with a gun is anathema to the media’s narrative. Nevertheless, we salute Capt. Michael Howell. His quick thinking and bravery saved lives. That makes him a hero — and one more Americans should know about.

Texas Shooter “Preached Atheism,” Used FB to Push Anti-Christian Message

Former classmates of Devin Patrick Kelley, the deceased suspect allegedly behind the deadly mass shooting Sunday at a church in Texas, described him to reporters as a “creepy,” “crazy” and “weird” anti-Christian zealot who used his Facebook page to proselytize about atheism.

“He was always talking about how people who believe in God we’re (sic) stupid and trying to preach his atheism,” former classmate Nina Rose Nava wrote to the U.K. Daily Mail.

Christopher Leo Longoria, another former classmate, said he eventually removed Kelley as a Facebook friend because of the constant negativity he had expressed.

Patrick Boyce, who reportedly attended New Braunfels High School with Kelley, described the suspected killer as “the first atheist I met.”

“He went (to the) Air Force after high school, got discharged but I don’t know why,” he added.

The Daily Beast confirmed that Kelley had indeed entered the Air Force, where he was court-martialed in 2012 for assaulting his wife and their child.

“A judge sentenced him with a bad-conduct discharge, 12 months confinement, and two reductions in rank to basic airman, according to an appeals court decision in 2013 that affirmed the decision against Kelley,” The Daily Beast reported.

According to Fox News, Kelley entered the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs around 11:20 a.m. Sunday morning dressed in black tactical gear and reportedly wearing a ballistic vet. He then allegedly used a Rudger AR to mow down 26 men, women and children, including the pastor’s 14-year-old daughter, after which he attempted to flee but was reportedly gunned down by a good guy with a gun.

While Kelley’s reported Facebook activities paint a picture of an anti-Christian zealot, his LinkedIn page listed him as a former teacher’s aide for a Vacation Bible School in Kingsville, where he reportedly taught for roughly a month, according to the New York Daily News. What remains unknown is why the position lasted only a month, let alone why he even chose to work at a Christian organization if he disliked Christians so much.

Another former classmate of Kelley’s claimed she grew up attending the same school as him.

“I grew up going to school with him … always creeped me out and was different,” the classmate, who asked to remain anonymous, said to the Mail.

One of Kelley’s former friends described as outright “crazy.”

“I ended up distancing myself from him in high school after he got in an argument with me in school and he tried punching me several times,” the friend said. “Dude was crazy man.”

Is there a reason some ‘mass shootings’ are ‘more newsworthy’ than others?

Were you aware that there was another ‘mass shooting’ this week?

Was it splashed all over the news?

Wall-to-wall coverage?

Is Edgewood, Maryland now a household name?

No? Well, that’s strange.

A guy went into an office park there and started shooting.

He murdered three and wounded two others before fleeing the scene. After that, he went to Delaware and shot a guy at a used car dealership.

When police finally caught up with him, a few hours later, 37-year-old Radee Labeeb Prince was seen outside a school, enjoying a cigar.

Six shot, three fatally, and this is NOT a national conversation? And at least two of the survivors had been shot in the head?

What are the possible explanations for NOT making this a national story?

1) It’s ‘workplace violence’. — the accused had worked there, was known to his victims, and another coworker had tried to get a restraining order against him.

2) It was a handgun, not a ‘scary black rifle’… let alone ‘assault’ rifle, so it wouldn’t help their gun-grabbing efforts.

3) Dude wasn’t the ‘white shooter’ they like their narratives to be about.

4) No way to leverage a preferred victim group.

Last Weeks Ann Coulter Letter: Media Begging Us For Conspiracy Theories on Las Vegas

Now the media are just taunting us with their tall tales about Stephen Paddock, the alleged Las Vegas shooter. Reputedly serious news organizations are claiming that he made a living playing video poker. That’s like claiming someone made a living smoking crack.

The media are either doing PR for the gambling industry or they don’t want anyone considering the possibility that Paddock was using gambling to launder money.

NBC News reports, with a straight face: “Las Vegas gunman earned millions as a gambler.” A Los Angeles Times article is headlined, “In the solitary world of video poker, Stephen Paddock knew how to win.” The story says that Paddock’s gambling “was at least a steady income over a period of years.”

I don’t know all the ins and outs of Paddock’s life, but that’s a lie.

How do reporters imagine casino owners make a living? Any ideas on how all those glorious lobbies, lights, pools and fountains are paid for? How do they think Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn became billionaires if gambling is a winning proposition for people like Paddock — and therefore, by definition, a losing proposition for the casinos?

The media think about money the way Democrats do. They have absolutely no conception of where it originates. Those casino owners sure are generous! reporters think to themselves.

Economist Thomas Sowell is always ridiculing journalists for not understanding basic economics. It turns out, they don’t understand the spreadsheet of a lemonade stand.

The New York Times explained that the “top” video poker machines pay out 99.17 percent. That’s great that Paddock was only losing cents on the dollar (if true), but it’s still losing. The Times quickly explained that he could have more than made up his losses with all the “comps” — the free rooms, meals and “50-year-old port that costs $500 a glass,” as his brother Eric said.

Gamblers who are beating the house are not given $500 glasses of port. Refer to the profit/loss spreadsheet. And yet, according to his brother, Paddock was treated like royalty by the casinos. Which means he was losing.

Apart from outright theft, the only way to have an advantage over the casino is by card-counting. That’s not cheating and it doesn’t guarantee a win. It merely allows the gambler to make a more educated guess as each card is played, thereby tilting the odds ever so slightly in his favor. Still, if the casinos suspect a customer is counting cards, he will be promptly escorted off the premises.

And counting cards only helps with blackjack. Paddock’s game of choice was VIDEO POKER. That’s a computer! It’s programmed to ensure the house wins. Not all the time, but at least often enough to make casino owners multibillionaires. Anyone who plays video poker over an extended period of time will absolutely, 100 percent, by basic logic, end up a net loser.

So why are the media insistent that Paddock was getting rich by playing video poker?

I don’t know what happened — and, apparently, neither do the cops — but it’s kind of odd that we keep being told things that aren’t true about the Las Vegas massacre, from the basic timeline to this weird insistence that Paddock made a good living at gambling.

The most likely explanation is that the reporters and investigators are incompetent nitwits. But the changing facts from law enforcement and preposterous lies from the press aren’t doing a lot to tamp down alternative theories of the crime.

Among the questions not being asked by our wildly incurious media:

Why would Paddock unload 200 rounds into the hallway at a security guard who was checking on someone else’s room before beginning his massacre?

How can it possibly take eight days to figure out when the alleged shooter checked into the hotel?

Why was Paddock wearing gloves if he was about to commit suicide?

Have any other solitary mass shooters ever had girlfriends?

If Paddock wasn’t making money on video poker — and he wasn’t — why would he be cycling millions of dollars through a casino, turning every dollar into, at best, 99 cents?

Maybe Paddock enjoyed video poker. But if the allegedly serious media are going to keep telling us he was making a living doing it, they’re just begging us to say that losing a percent or two on millions of dollars doesn’t make sense as an investment strategy, but it does make sense as a money laundering operation.

And the probable illicit business requiring money to be laundered that leaps out at us in Paddock’s case is illegal gun sales. If true, it would not only explain the arsenal in his hotel room, but also raises the possibility of either an accomplice or different perpetrator altogether.

If this were a movie script, a terrorist would go to Paddock’s room on the pretense of buying guns, kill Paddock, commit the massacre, put his gunshot residue-covered gloves on Paddock’s dead hands and slip out of the room when the coast was clear.

According to the all-new timeline given by the Las Vegas police — pending a third revision — this is at least possible. The hallway was empty, except for a bleeding security guard down by the elevators, for at least two minutes after the shooting stopped. The stairwell was clear for more than half an hour. It also explains the gloves.

There’s no evidence for any of this, but on the other hand, there’s no evidence for the version the media are giving us. At least the movie script version doesn’t require us to pretend that Paddock was making “millions” from video poker.

This Weeks Ann Coulter Letter: Immigrant Of The Week: Henry Bello (Obotetukudo)

Last Friday, Nigerian immigrant Henry Williams Obotetukudo, aka Henry Bello, opened fire with an AM-15 rifle at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, killing one doctor and injuring a half-dozen others. I would prefer to leap right in and offer my ideas for stopping these immigrant shooting rampages, but first I’ll have to tell you the facts the media won’t.

The New York Times, still unaware there’s an internet, is trying to pass off the Nigerian as a Californian, the non-doctor as a doctor, and Mr. Obotetukudo as “Dr. Bello.”

In the Times’ major biographical profile of Bello the next day, he was described as a “sharp dresser from California.” The only other reference to the shooter’s provenance came several paragraphs later: “Dr. Bello lived in California off and on from 1991 until 2006.”

ABC News had reported on the day of the shooting that Bello was a “Nigerian national” — so the cat was already out of the bag, New York Times. Local New York station PIX11 also reported that he was a Nigerian. Even newspapers in Ohio knew that Bello was a Nigerian.

But as we go to print, the Times still has not identified Bello as a Nigerian immigrant. It issued a “correction,” but only to clarify the exact street of a homeless shelter where Bello had lived. No correction to the “California” bit.

Sadly, the Times didn’t allow any comments to the online version of its story, but CBS did. There were four comments, two about the incident (“rot in hell”) and two about CBS’s report:

“Where was Bello born?”

and:

“Where is he from? Where did he receive his medical degree? Worthless reporting.”

You’re not fooling anyone, media.

Having misled readers about Bello’s nationality, the Times professed utter bafflement about the shooter’s motive, saying it was “marked with as many questions as answers.”

If the Times simply reported facts, instead of strategically constructing news stories to protect favored groups, it might have noticed that there have been a LOT of mass shootings by certain types of immigrants.

There are mental illness shootings, gangland shootings, still-angry-about-the-divorce shootings and so on. Some immigrant murderers are mentally ill or criminals — thanks to our excellent and extremely rigorous vetting system! But there are enough like Mr. Obotetukudo to qualify as their own category: the Disappointed Immigrant mass shootings.

The usual elements are:

1) immigrants from wildly different cultures, who have

2) unrealistic expectations about what their lives should be like in the U.S., combined with

3) an inability to achieve success in the U.S., and

4) a failure to grasp our customs — often, even our language, typically marked by

5) a particular rage at women.

The same way girls from the Midwest come to New York City expecting to live like Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City” (she was paying $700 a month for a $2,700 per month apartment, plus $40,000 on shoes), some immigrants seem to expect their lives in the U.S. to be like something out of “Dynasty.”

Bello, for example, declared bankruptcy in 2000 — from one of the priciest towns in the world, Santa Barbara, California. And he just kept failing. He was fired from the Bronx hospital. He lost his license as a “pharmacy technician.” (He was not a “doctor,” despite the media’s insistent reference to him as one.)

The Nigerian couldn’t even pull off being a fake doctor, sounding more like a character out of a comedy sketch. Co-workers described him as “very aggressive, talking loudly, threatening people.” Once he was arrested for fare-jumping — just like your trusted family physician. Recently, he’d been living in a homeless shelter.

His Third World approach to meeting women resulted in his being arrested in 2004 for lifting a 23-year-old woman off the ground in Greenwich Village, while trying to penetrate her through her underwear and saying “You’re coming with me.” Although initially charged with felony assault, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor — otherwise he might have been deported and America’s beautiful mosaic would be diminished.

Apart from the turnstile jumping, all of Bello’s arrests involve similarly rom-com, meet-cute scenarios. In 2003, he was arrested for kicking in an ex-girlfriend’s door at 5:10 in the morning. In 2009, he was charged, in separate incidents, with harassing women by trying to look up their skirts.

All this insanely inappropriate behavior would have continued ad infinitum, with American women being sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism, but, finally, the Unstoppable Force of Diversity met the Feminist Immovable Object: He was fired from the hospital for sexual harassment.

In his revenge shooting, he killed one doctor: a woman.

Bello blamed his firing on “racism and discrimination,” so at least he was capable of assimilating to the American custom of immigrants being constantly aggrieved.

Close observers will notice the same basic pattern over and over again. Immigrants from backward cultures develop extravagant expectations about their lives in America, fail to master the most rudimentary civic habits, and then erupt in shooting rampages when their lives aren’t turning out as planned.

One will find similar elements in the many, many immigrant mass murders —

Jiverly Wong (American Civic Association, Binghamton, New York);

Nigerian immigrant Peter Odighizuwa, (Appalachian School of Law);

Palestinian immigrant Ali Hassan Abu Kamal (Empire State Building),

Bosnian immigrant Sulejman Talovic (Trolley Square Mall, Salt Lake City);

Hmong immigrant Chai Soua Vang (hunters in Wisconsin);

Mexican immigrant Salvador Tapia (Windy City Core Supply);

Korean immigrant Seung-Hui Cho (Virginia Poly Tech) and on and on.

Liberals have a mystical idea that we can pluck people from the most discordant cultures, put them in middle-class houses in the suburbs and then, magically, primitive tribesmen will be imbued with the core beliefs of our republic and civilization, developed over centuries.

Instead, we have Aztecs getting loaded up on Tecate and hopping behind the wheels of cars; Nigerians demanding to be called “doctor” while picking up women on the street and trying to drag them home; and Hmong responding to the concept of private property by wiping out a pack of Wisconsin hunters.

The New York Times might even help their Muslim friends by reporting the truth! Perhaps some Muslim mass murders — Fort Hood, the Boston Marathon and the Orlando nightclub, for example –- aren’t problems of Islam, at all. Maybe the problem is assimilation.

It would be a major step forward if the media would just stop lying to us. Until then, Times reporters can still be issued badges, but they shouldn’t be press badges.

Four innocent people are dead after a black Fresno gunman shouting “Allahu akbar” went on a murderous rampage that began last week and climaxed Tuesday afternoon. His name: Kori Ali Muhammad.

When a detective asked him to clarify whether all four murders were “done for vengeance for the actions of the United States in the Middle East,” Ali Muhammad Brown stated unequivocally: “Yes.” Does the motive get any clearer than this?

As Soeren Kern, senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute warned in my new CRTV investigation of Ali Muhammad Brown: “If the police are afraid to discuss the background, what is motivating these people to do this, we’re going to see more of this incentivized a lot of these jihadists.”

“Too early” to call the Fresno jihad a jihad.

Too late for the victims of another Ali Muhammad targeting innocent civilians as Islamic payback on American soil.

Multiple protests planned for Obama visit in Roseburg

Elected officials say they welcome the visit, despite having different political views than the president.

Gun rights groups have also been vocal, condemning his visit after Obama said he plans to keep gun control at the forefront of political discussions.

A Facebook page called “Defend Roseburg – Deny Barack Obama” outlines plans for a protest at 11 a.m. Friday in advance of the president’s expected early afternoon arrival. Over 7,000 people have clicked on “going” to the rally, including many who have indicated that they are coming from California and elsewhere.

Organizers emphasize that they want a peaceful protest and instruct those attending to not engage in theatrics or arguments that cast gun control opponents in a bad light.

“Conduct yourselves like adults,” the event description reads. “Show the nation and the world a strong force of principled, good, responsible patriots. Represent yourself and the country with excellence because the world is truly watching.”

The organizers also recognize that gun control opponents will express themselves by carrying weapons.

“If you choose to carry a firearm that is your right. Be safe, be responsible. We suggest that you carry a handgun as opposed to a rifle, but again, you have the right to carry what you wish. Whatever you carry, keep it holstered/secure. Show the world that American gun owners are responsible patriots. Look out for each other.”

An official with the Douglas County Tea Party said that at least two separate protests are planned, and that the intention is to show support for Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin,,who has spoken out against additional legislative restrictions on gun ownership.

The City of Roseburg officials and Douglas County Commissioners have announced they are welcoming Obama to privately visit families of the victims of the Umpqua Community College shooting.

“We wish to be clear that Mayor Rich, City Council President Ryan and the Roseburg City Council welcome the President to Roseburg and will extend him every courtesy,” the city said in a news release on Tuesday.

The Douglas County commissioners also issued a statement.

“Regardless of our differences with the President on policy issues, we await the President’s arrival and look forward to his show of support for a community who is grieving and whose heartache is immeasurable–especially the families of those killed,” the commissioners said in a statement on Tuesday.

Among the outspoken against an Obama visit was David Jaques, the publisher of the conservative Roseburg Beacon.

“Our message is: Mr. President, please don’t come to Roseburg,” Jaques told KGW on Saturday. “It’s a dishonor to the families and to what we’re going through as a community.”

Jaques said Obama’s visit will be more of a political stunt than a visit to sincerely provide condolences to victims’ families. “He’s not coming to take care of them or to show his support for them,” Jaques said. “He’s simply coming to advance a political agenda.”

President Obama advocated for more gun regulation during a speech following the shooting. “This is something we should politicize,” Obama said. “This is a political choice that we make.”

The White House has not announced a public appearance by the president during his visit to Roseburg.

“I am a Republican, I am a strong supporter of gun rights and I want him here too,” Roseburg Mayor Larry Rich said. “The whole focus is on the victims’ families and that’s why he’s here.”

In the 2012 presidential election, Obama received 35 percent of the Douglas County vote, down from 38 percent in 2008. More recently, the county was also split on the issue of marijuana legalization, with 55 percent of county voters casting ballots against the legalization measure in 2014.

Too many lives lost. May they R.I.P.

The nine victims killed in Thursday’s massacre at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon have been named by police.

Officials identified the nine as; Lucero Alcaraz, 19; Quinn Glen Cooper, 18; Kim Saltmarsh Dietz, 59; Lucas Eibel, 18; Jason Dale Johnson, 33; Lawrence Levine, 67; Sarena Dawn Moore, 44; Treven Taylor Anspach, 20; and Rebecka Ann Carnes, 18.

Shortly after reading the names of those who lost their lives, members of the police department read statements from some of the families.

They also revealed that the number of people injured during Thursday’s shooting was nine, not seven as previously reported.

The gunman, Chris Harper-Mercer – who was enrolled in the writing class that he opened fire in – was also killed on Thursday by police.

One of the first casualties of the massacre was identified this morning as 19-year-old student Alcaraz.

Alcaraz’s older sister, Maria Leticia, posted a heartbreaking tribute to her slain sibling on Facebook saying the first-year UCC student had aspired to be a pediatric nurse.

‘Lucero, I miss you I wish you were here,’ Maria Alcaraz wrote. ‘I can’t sleep. I never got the chance to tell you how proud of you I was.

‘You would have been a great pediatric nurse. I was so proud of you for getting you college completely paid through scholarships and you made it into college honors.

‘You were going to do great things love. I ache so much right now..I need you..’

in an earlier posting, Maria Alcaraz spoke of her pain and anger at losing her sister in an act of senseless violence.

‘Never in a million years would I have imagined going through something like this,’ she wrote. ‘She was my best friend and my sister. Today, I lost her. I can’t begin to describe how I feel. I’m full of anger, pain, sadness, regret that I didn’t get the chance to see her or prevent this from happening.

‘I don’t know how I will make it through this …I don’t know if I can ever relieve this pain. Rest in piece sister…I’ll see you soon.’

Lucero is survived by five siblings. Her 14-year-old sister, Eileen, told BuzzFeed the college student was a talented artist and the ‘responsible one’ in the family.

The second victim was identified Friday as Jason Johnson, whose mother spoke proudly of her son’s new-found commitment to turning his life around.

Tonja Johnson Engle told NBC News the 33-year-old had struggled with drug addiction but completed a six-month rehabilitation program and enrolled in Umpqua Community College to continue his education.

‘He started Monday and he was so proud of what he had accomplished, and rightly so,’ Johnson Engel tearfully told the station. ‘The other day he looked at me and hugged me and said, “Mom, how long have you been waiting for one of your kids to go to college?” And I said, “Oh, about 20 years.”’

The heartbroken mother said she last saw her son alive as he was leaving for class Thursday morning.

‘Love ya,’ Jason told her after giving her a kiss. ‘I’ll see you this afternoon.’

The deaths of two more UCC students, Lucas Eibel and Rebecka Carnes, both 18 years old, were also confirmed by their families this afternoon.

Carnes’ stepfather, Aaron Chandler, told the station KATU: ‘We are at a loss for words.’

The New York Times reported the 18-year-old was a star softball player in high school and was studying to become a dental hygienist. Carnes had just began classes at UCC on September 28.

Her cousin Bethany Johnson mourned Rebecka’s passing on Facebook, writing that she ‘had the biggest hear an [sic] amazing soul.’

In the first chaotic hours after the shooting, Rebecka’s mother, Jessica Chandler, spoke to ABC News, saying she was worried for her daughter because she didn’t know where she was. She later learned from Carnes’ friend that that student was taken to a hospital.

When asked what she would say to her daughter, Chandler said, ‘I would tell her that I love her, and I want her in my arms.’

Victim Lucas Eibel, also 18 years of age, was a quadruplet. According to the Roseburg News-Review. Lucas, his two brothers, Mitchell and Cole, and sister Alexis graduated from high school this year.

He was studying chemistry and had received two scholarships after graduating high school with ‘high academic marks.’

‘We have been trying to figure out how to tell everyone how amazing Lucas was, but that would take 18 years. Lucas loved FFA, volunteering at Wildlife Safari and Saving Grace animal shelter. He was an amazing soccer player,’ said his family in a statement.

Megan Dilson, the faculty adviser for the Roseburg FFA, praised Eibel in an interview with Oregon Live.

‘Lucas was one of the best students our FFA Chapter had. I am so devastated by his loss,’ she said.

Family friend Jeremy Root said; ‘Just the worst thing to happen to the best people.’

A friend of 20-year-old Treven Anspach confirmed to People Magazine that he too was among the victims of Thursday’s shooting rampage.

Jesse Milbrat, also 20, told the publication he and Anspach were former school mates and co-workers at Roseburg Forest Products.

‘He was a hard worker and a damn good basketball player,’ the friend said. ‘He deserves way better.’

Milbrat last saw Anspach in May before leaving for the Army.

‘The last thing he said to me was, “Good luck and thanks for your service”,’ he said.

On Thursday afternoon, Anspach’s family were frantically looking for him. His brother, Cameron, told the Los Angeles Times that no one heard from Treven.

That evening, a friend tweeted that the 20-year-old was undergoing surgery in Eugene, Oregon, and asked people to pray for him.

Mrs Dietz, who was divorced with one daughter, was a mature student and had been attending a lecture in classroom 12 when shooter Chris Harper Mercer burst in.

A friend, Natalie Robbins, 38, said she heard of Mrs Dietz’ death from a fellow student immediately after the shootings – news confirmed in a phone call two hours ago from the 72-year-old’s former husband.

‘Kim and I had a lot in common despite the differences in our ages,’ said Mrs Robbins.

‘She had come through a nasty divorce and she didn’t have much education.

‘She would help me with math. She was an open person, a lovely person and I watched her bloom over the two terms we studied together.

‘Each term she got more comfortable [with me] and we shared many happy moments and a few tears too.’

The family of Quinn Robbins released a statement that was read by officials on Friday.

‘Quinn was funny, sweet, compassionate and such a wonderful loving person,’ it read.

‘He always stood up for people,” the statement reads. He was going to take his brown belt test next week, and loved dancing and voice acting and playing Ingress with his older brother, Cody.

‘Our lives are shattered beyond repair. We send our condolences to all the families who have been so tragically affected by this deranged gunman. No one should ever have to feel the pain we are feeling. Please remember the victims and their families. Please remember Quinn.’

The family have also started a GoFundMe page on which they wrote; ‘Yesterday, October 1, 2015 tragically multiple innocent people were murdered and injured by a deranged gunman at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.

‘Our precious family member Quinn Cooper’s life was taken from him. He was taken from us, from the world. Quinn was just 18 years old. Quinn was my youngest son and younger brother to my eldest son Cody Cooper.

‘Quinn is everything and he was loved by everyone. He will be missed greatly by many many people please remember him for his fun and witty nature and all of the fun he had with everyone.’

Sarena Moore, 44, was a Seventh-day Adventist according to her Facebook page and also loved animals, sharing pictures of horses and dogs.

Moore, who also worked at her church, had two sons who lived in the area.

Her brother, Rick Goin, was not yet ready to speak about his sister’s death when approached by Oregon Live.

‘It’s not an easy subject. One thing I will say is I’m glad the officers, when they did get there, took care of business,’ said Goin.

‘The shooter is gone and we don’t’ have to wait for trials and everything else.’

Lawrence Levine was teaching a writing class at the school when he was shot dead.

The 67-year-old also loved to fish, tend bar and was a man of strong opinions.

‘He was the sweetest, most gentle, kind, thoughtful and creative person. My heart is broken,’ said David Furman, a lifelong friend.

He also enjoyed to write mystery novels according to a former student with whom he had a romantic relationship.

Mrs Robbins, who was on campus during the shootings and was in a classroom on the opposite side of Snyder Hall to the one attacked by Harper Mercer.

Terrified, she ran in the opposite direction and took shelter behind another building before being ushered into the cafeteria by a teacher.

‘I was in writing class when I heard the first shot,’ she says.

‘At first I thought a table had fallen, then I heard another six shots. Our instructor told us to get the hell out.

‘I was panicking and just ran. I didn’t know where to go.’

Afterwards, Mrs Robbins was taken to a reunification center at the local fairground with other survivors and found Mrs Dietz’s daughter there, searching for her mother.

‘I kept telling her it would be fine. I knew Kim was dead but I couldn’t tell her that.

‘You hope but I knew she was gone. I found her father [Mrs Dietz’s ex-husband] and left them together.

‘I spoke with him two hours ago and he confirmed that she had died.’

Meanwhile, doctors said three women airlifted to a hospital after the tragedy in Roseburg were expected to survive, but one will likely have lasting neurological damage.

Dr. Scott Russi of PeaceHealth Medical Center said at a news conference Friday that the woman was shot in the head and the bullet entered the left side of her brain.

He says another woman flown to the hospital in Springfield was shot in the spine, and the other suffered wounds to the abdomen and chest.

The women range in age from 18 to 34.

They say that lightening never strikes twice in the same place. Not true. It does if you stand high atop a cliff’s edge with a lightning rod above your head during a thunderstorm. In fact, in the unlikely event you survive the first strike, it’ll keep right on striking until you climb down.

So-called “gun-free zones” are lightning rods for mass murder. It’s time we climbed down from cliff’s edge.

This week America mourns yet another needless and preventable mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. When will gun-grabbing liberals learn?

In a blunt and provocatively titled, though well-reasoned post, submitted shortly after Wednesday’s shooting, Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft charged: “Obama Is Responsible for Latest Fort Hood Murders – Still a Gun-Free Zone.”

Wrote Hoft:

“In 2009 Islamist killer Nidal Malik Hasan, a U.S. Army major and psychiatrist, fatally shot 13 people and injured more than 30 others at Fort Hood, Texas. Fort Hood was a gun-free zone.

“Hasan reportedly screamed, ‘Allahu Akbar!’ as he committed his mass murder. …

“Barack Obama termed this Islamic terrorist attack – workplace violence. Complete lunacy.

“After the first mass killing nothing changed. Fort Hood is still a gun-free zone. President Bill Clinton’s gun-free policies are still in place.

“Today there was another mass shooting at Fort Hood. Soldiers were told to take cover and hide like cowards as a crazed gunman shot at least 14 Americans on base. The shooter, Ivan Lopez, then shot himself in the head.

“These deaths are the result of failed policies. These deaths are the result of a dangerous ‘gun free zone’ policy.

“The Obama administration is responsible for this mass shooting. They witnessed this before. They didn’t learn a thing. Gun-free zones are death zones,” concluded Hoft.

Of course, no one but Ivan Lopez is responsible for his own criminally horrific actions. Still, this Obama administration is likewise responsible for its own criminally horrific incompetence.

By maintaining his demonstrably failed “gun-free zone” policy at Fort Hood (anywhere for that matter), Obama may as well have beaconed: “Hey, would-be mass murderers, we’ve still got some unarmed soldiers here. Come and finish ‘em off!”

This president is undeniably culpable. His reckless insistence upon preserving this obtuse, liberal – but I repeat myself – gun-grabbing policy rendered defenseless, once again, the fine servicemen and women of Fort Hood. It kept in place the same mass-murder-rich environment in which Nidal Malik Hasan committed the first Fort Hood “fish-in-a-barrel” soldier hunt.

And the only people surprised are you gun-control nutters.

Here’s the thing about liberalism, which is really cultural Marxism, euphemistically tagged “progressivism”: It’s never worked and it never will. It can’t. It’s a material impossibility. “Progressivism” can no more work than can one answer a nonsense question like, “How big is blue?” As with all similar such humanistic efforts to achieve a man-made earthly utopia, “progressivism” is a hopeless non-starter.

Why? Because “progressivism” is utterly detached from reality. There’s truth, and then there’s “progressivism.” Central to every single “progressive” policy, without exception, is the fatally flawed denial of the existence of sin – of man’s fallen nature. There’s also a stupidly stubborn refusal to acknowledge the reality of moral absolutes. “Progressivism” is built upon a utopian, relativist house of cards; and when that house comes crashing down, the results are often deadly.

On Wednesday America witnessed liberalism’s deadly results first hand. A public policy that intentionally disarms American citizens – much less American soldiers – is a policy that creates a pond full of sitting ducks; this, whether we have a terrorist behind the trigger, or a government with designs on tyranny.

Notice a trend here? What do;

Sandy Hook Elementary,
Aurora Colorado’s Century 16 theatre,
Columbine,
Fort Hood No. 1 and
Fort Hood No. 2 all have in common?

They’re all “gun-free zones.”

Oh, that rather than “gun-free zone,” each of these terror sites had a sign reading: “Staff heavily armed and trained. Any attempts to harm those herein will be met with deadly force.”

Might some of those beautiful souls have yet died before one or more well-armed good guys could take out the well-armed bad guys? Perhaps. But how many precious lives could have been saved?

Albert Einstein famously quipped that the definition of “insanity” is “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” In that sense, “progressives” are insane.

Or are they? “Crazy like a fox” maybe?

Either way, they’re certainly no Einsteins.

Even so, I’ll admit that many “progressives” are generally well-meaning and decent people. I even have a handful of “progressive” friends who’ve yet to see the light. I love ‘em, but they just want what they can’t have – at least not until that glorious last trumpet.

They want heaven on earth.

It’s not for a lack of sincerity that “progressives” are destroying America.

It’s for a failure to grasp reality.

Soldiers told of the horrific torture meted out by terrorists in the Nairobi mall massacre yesterday with claims hostages were dismembered, had their eyes gouged out and were left hanging from hooks in the ceiling.

Men were said to have been castrated and had fingers removed with pliers before being blinded and hanged.

Children were found dead in the food court fridges with knives still embedded in their bodies, it was claimed.

Most of the defeated terrorists, meanwhile, were reportedly discovered ‘burnt to ashes’, set alight by the last extremist standing to try to protect their identities.

The horrifying details came yesterday as the first pictures emerged from within the wreckage of the building, showing piles of bodies left strewn across the floor.

A third of the mall was destroyed in the battle between terrorists and Kenyan troops.

Lying in the rubble are feared to be the bodies of as many as 71 civilians who have been declared missing by the Kenyan Red Cross.

With detectives, including the FBI and the Metropolitan Police, still unable to reach the wrecked part of the mall for fear of setting off explosives, it could take up to a week to determine exactly who is still inside.

‘Actually if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers. Here it was pain.’

A soldier, who took pictures at a bread counter and at the ArtCaffe, said he was so traumatised by what he saw he has had to seek counselling.

Images also emerged yesterday revealing the true extent of the destruction caused to the centre during the four-day battle between Kenyan forces and Islamic militants.

The first pictures taken inside the site show a gaping hole in the mall’s roof after three storeys collapsed when Kenyan soldiers fired rocket-propelled grenades inside the complex, knocking out a support column, a government official said.

Children’s buggies are left abandoned just metres from the yawning pit, as cars hang precariously over the edge. Beneath many more vehicles lie on top of each other, smashed to pieces.

The collapse happened on Monday when government troops launched a massive assault on the mall where up to 150 people are thought to have been killed.

During the firefight, hostages reportedly had their throats slashed from ear to ear and were thrown screaming from third-floor balconies as the siege came to a bloody end. Forensics teams, still sifting through the mountains of rubble, fear many more bodies are yet to be found.

Shell-shocked Kenyan troops said the inside of the Israeli-run mall resembled a ‘scene from a horror movie’ with blood spattered everywhere and dead bodies strewn across the floor.

Between 10 and 15 terrorists are thought to have stormed the mall on Saturday, according to Kenyan officials. The police said five insurgents were killed in the battle and at least 10 taken into custody

The main thrust of the operation began at 6am on Monday when troops and helicopters surrounded the building, but their efforts were hampered by an Al Shabaab sniper who managed to pin them back for nearly 24 hours.

As tear gas was used to try to flush him out, another terrorist reportedly blew himself up. It is believed the resulting fire may have killed dozens of shoppers in a supermarket.

The following day, the soldiers were ordered to adopt a ‘shoot to kill’ policy and launched their final attack on the terror group on the roof of the mall at 5pm.

The mall was retaken about half an hour later.

As Mansfield told her schoolmates, massacres like the one in Florida last month “are happening from these kids that you guys are cornering out, that you’re bullying, that you’re doing all this stuff to because you think it’s funny.”

“All of these kids just want to be themselves, they want to be who they want to be in their own school,” she said. “They’re here to learn. They’re not here to bully. Kids shouldn’t be shooting up schools; we’re teenagers.”

Instead of further belittling victims of bullying and those dealing with emotional issues, Mansfield challenged her peers to rise above that reaction to demonstrate empathy and friendship to kids who need it most.

“You should say that you love your neighbor,” she said. “You should be there for them, sit with them at lunch, tell them that you’re their friend, that you’re going to be there for them whenever they need you.”

Even if a personal struggle is not immediately obvious, Mansfield said everyone can benefit from such expressions of kindness.

“Just because they’re already dealing with bullying at school enough, and they have their own problems at home whether you know it or not,” she said. “Everybody does and I don’t know why it’s so hard to be nice and care and love each other. Like, it’s not hard.”

“I don’t care, because somebody said something while we were out here,” she said. “Somebody stood up.”

“Most of you are out here because you don’t want to be in class,” she said. “That’s it. Like, it’s stupid.”

Nikolas Cruz’s psychosis ended in a bloody massacre not only because of the stunning incompetence of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department. It was also the result of liberal insanity working exactly as it was intended to.

School and law enforcement officials knew Cruz was a ticking time bomb. They did nothing because of a deliberate, willful, bragged-about policy to end the “school-to-prison pipeline.” This is the feature part of the story, not the bug part.

We’ve all seen the teenagers after the horrible shooting in Parkland Florida. Our hearts break: that shooting was premeditated evil. Absolutely wrong.

But what those sorrowful young people have not been taught is that the gun is an amoral, inanimate object. It is the heart, the will, of the shooter where bad intentions begin and take root.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

The only question after every school shooting is how quickly it begins. I’m talking, of course, about calls for guns to be banned and confiscated. This time, it was surprisingly swift and predictably fact-free.

The FBI is coming under renewed scrutiny, after it was revealed that they received tips and strong clues that the shooter behind Wednesday’s school shooting in Florida planned to pull the trigger.

“It was one of at least two alleged threat reports about the suspected shooter that the FBI received, according to a law enforcement official,” CNN reported. “In both cases, the FBI did not share the information with local law enforcement, the official said.” Emphasis added.

“No other information was included with that comment which would indicate a time, location or the true identity of the person who made the comment,” insisted Special Agent Robert Lasky in a news conference after Wednesday’s shooting.

“The FBI conducted database reviews, checks but was unable to further identify the person who actually made the comment,” he stated.

“(W)hen the FBI said it was the same name, the first thing that went through my mind was, ‘Wow, I hope you were at least watching this guy that I alerted you to months ago,” Bennight told CNN. They were not.

The frustrating reality is that big government agencies have a pretty appalling record when it comes to detecting and stopping crimes. FBI agents knew about Omar Mateen, but could not stop the Orlando nightclub shooting.
