The logic of the previous administration went something like this: If America willfully weakened itself, the rest of the world would love us. For eight years we endured a strategy of scaling down the U.S. military, infecting it with politically correct nonsense, apologizing for America’s past, denying that America is exceptional, waffling on red lines, enabling the birth and proliferation of ISIS, and allowing rogue regimes such as Iran and North Korea to run amok.
As each “controversy” surfaces for its moment in the sun, bear in mind, these are the same outlets who thought reckless, feckless Obama could do no wrong.
Unfortunately, love — even if it were attainable — is of no geopolitical value. Only respect has value. Peace through strength is back, thanks to President Trump.
And respect was on display when King Salman of Saudi Arabia greeted President Trump at the airport in Riyadh, and he received red carpet treatment. It was a far cry from President Obama’s last visit where King Salman sent his distant nephew to pick up Obama at the airport. That disrespect was a result of President Obama’s willingness to trash our relationship with the Gulf State “sheikists” in order to make a ridiculous deal with the Shiite, death-to-America regime in Iran.
Now, President Trump is using his ambitious foreign trip — where he’ll visit the holy lands of three major world religions — to send the message that America is back and stands by its traditional allies.
But the mainstream media — the same that spent eight years enabling Obama’s 
fecklessness — aren’t having any part of the “America’s back” narrative. They’re beside themselves that the news cycle has shifted away from the anonymous source leaks they’ve been cramming down America’s throat and away from their Trump-Russia collusion fury. These are media determined to manufacture a narrative of failure regarding all aspects of Trump’s presidency.
Over the weekend, Byron York at the Washington Examiner reported on a Harvard study that quantified the anti-Trump bias of several mainstream media outlets. Of course, you don’t have to be a lab-coat-wearing, laboratory-dwelling scientist armed with an electron microscope and a mountain of grant money to figure that out. Just spend two minutes with any of those outlets, and you’ll be swimming in bias. When a supposedly objective news anchor such as CNN’s Anderson Cooper responds to contributor Jeffrey Lord by saying that if Trump “took a dump on his desk,” Lord would defend it, it’s safe to assume there’s bias at work.
Now, after all the work they’ve done for the past few days digging up anti-Trump gossip from anonymous sources, they have to switch gears and talk about a scandal-free foreign trip.
They’re framing it like it’s just halftime — an opportunity for the resistance to get up and use the bathroom while the marching band takes the field.
All they can do is lie in wait, ready to pounce on any perceived faux pas that Mr. Trump may commit. They almost certainly have an eye on Twitter awaiting any leftwing faux outrage that may surface so they can proliferate it. Already, there have been several stories about the fact that Melanina and Ivanka Trump didn’t wear headscarves. What’s the big deal about that? Well, President Trump tweeted two and a half years ago that “Mrs. Obama refused to wear a scarf” in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudis were “insulted.”
Crisis. Catastrophe. Hysteria. You’d think each individual Trump tweet is one of the nation’s founding documents and that the president himself had taken an oath to preserve, protect and defend all 35,000 of them.
Trump has tweeted 35,000 times. Anyone demanding that his presidency and the policies of his administration be consistent with all 35,000 tweets will probably be disappointed often. But that’s not what this story is about. This story is about trying to thwart the success of the American president on an overseas trip. It’s just part of a pathetic attempt to find a negative angle on everything. CNN and NBC, which — according to Harvard — spend 93 percent of their time trashing the president, both had this story featured prominently on their websites.
These news outlets go Three Mile Island every time Mr. Trump utters the words fake news, but consider the asinine assumptions a story like this rests on:
But it’s not about newsworthiness — it’s about unearthing a negative weapon to hurl at the president’s trip. After all, when Trump fired Comey, and the Left had their weekly meltdown, the MSM wasn’t at all interested in trolling through all those #FireComey tweets floating around the Twittersphere to expose Democrat hypocrisy.
So in the coming days, as the president goes about the important business of fixing all the damage President Obama did, watch for the MSM to attempt to undermine him with ridiculous controversies that are hatched from Twitter eggs or divulged by anonymous sources who probably sleep in oversized #ImWithHer t-shirts. But as each “controversy” surfaces for its moment in the sun, bear in mind, these are the same outlets who thought reckless, feckless Obama could do no wrong.

“Thank you for all of the thoughts & prayers. Paul’s procedure went great! Now he’s on the mend thanks to the Docs & nurses at @childrensnational,” Baier wrote on his Facebook page, sharing the message on other social media platforms as well.
“Paul is heading in soon,” he had posted on social media just prior to the surgery. “This is his 9th angioplasty plus 3 open (heart) surgeries & a stomach surgery. Paul’s 9 1/2 yrs old. He’s a total trooper & in great spirits w/ his fidget spinner.”
Paul’s life has been a battle from the start.
“A doctor told us Paul’s heart was extremely complex.” Amy Baier told NBC’s Today in 2014. “Blood was flowing the wrong way, there were two holes in Paul’s walnut-sized heart, and he had three other congenital defects. If Paul didn’t have complex surgery to restructure his heart, he wouldn’t make it.”
“I’ll be honest with you: It’s daunting, and nothing like you’ve ever experienced as a parent, having to explain to your son why this is happening and assuring him that it’s going to be OK,” Baier said, recalling that in one instance, he held Paul as his son was being prepped for surgery.
“So he was in my arms as they were putting the anesthesia over his mouth, and that’s pretty tough. I’m really not sure how to prepare when it comes,” he said.
Baier made it clear he is grateful for the surgeries that have allowed his son to live a mostly normal life.
“If you looked at the playground, you would never be able to point at him as the kid who has had … open-heart surgeries and angioplasties,” he said.
“For parents of healthy kids, every day is such a blessing. Sometimes when the kid throws the cereal on the wall or is being a real stinker, the experience we went through gives us a whole new perspective on how precious moments are. Taking the small things, the little laughter every day, right now kind of gets us through to the next stop,” he said.
Baier said Pauls life also gives him context as he deals with the news of the day.
“This whole thing has also given me perspective about my job, going through policy and politics in Washington, D.C., to see the bigger picture. It does give me perspective on what’s more important,” he said.
Congenital heart disease affects one in 120 babies, although most cases are not as severe as Paul Baier’s condition.

Are any Democratic lawmakers starting to fear that they’re not going to find that evidence? The intelligence community is presumably always watching the Russian government as closely as they can. The FBI counterintelligence guys presumably track Russian agents on our soil as much as possible. You figure the NSA can track just about any electronic communication between Russians and figures in the Trump campaign. If there was something sinister and illegal going on between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, the U.S. government as a whole had every incentive in the world to expose that as quickly as possible.
They didn’t expose it before Election Day, they didn’t expose it before the Electoral College voted, they didn’t expose it before Inauguration Day … How many months have the best investigators in the United States been digging into this?
The establishment media has repeatedly highlighted the president’s inexperience and incompetence, yet he has somehow been able to hide deep political orchestrations with Russia, a clear U.S. rival, from America’s most advanced surveillance apparatus on the planet.
Reuters reported Thursday that members of the Trump campaign had 18 undisclosed exchanges with Russian officials, and while it is troubling that those interactions were not disclosed, Reuters introduced that there is “no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia.”
The report followed the appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a Department of Justice special counsel to oversee the investigation into any possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

What’s more frustrating than that is the fact that The Post claimed anonymous sources backed up its statements, but provided no real substance.
Just look for a second at this verbiage. This is an actual, serious line from The Washington Post that they just expect the good people of America to believe:
“‘I hope you can let this go,’ Trump said, according to the Comey notes, which were described by the associates. Comey’s written account of the meeting is two pages long and highly detailed, the associates said.”
And although Comey has not come out and said specifically that Trump never asked him to stop investing Flynn, he certainly seemed to imply it in May 3 testimony he gave the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Although that’s not a denial of Trump himself having asked Comey to drop the investigation, there does seem to be that implication at the very least. You’d think if Trump had said something, Comey would also have said something.
In fact, The Post’s statement doesn’t mean much at all when you consider the actual on-the-record-in-front-of-witnesses claims made by acting FBI director Andrew McCabe that fly right in the face of these unsubstantiated accusations.
When Sen. Marco Rubio asked McCabe before the Senate Intelligence Committee whether or not the firing of former FBI Director James Comey “in any way impeded, interrupted, stopped or negatively impacted any of the work, any investigation, or any ongoing projects at the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” McCabe’s response was even more definitive than the question given to him dictated.
“As you know, senator,” McCabe said, “the work of the men and women of the FBI continues despite any changes in circumstance, any decisions, so there has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.”
The Washington Post’s editors tried to cover themselves by saying, “It’s unclear from the questioning if McCabe was talking solely about the consequences of Comey’s abrupt firing, or referring to a specific investigation on Trump’s associates for possible connections to Russian officials.”
Yeah, right. That’s not the only thing unclear here.

“I am talking about strategies that were developed, working with the Trump campaign. I really do believe that much of what you saw coming out of Trump’s mouth was a play from Putin’s playbook,” Waters said.
“But just to be clear, there has been no actual evidence yet?” Huffington Post editor Sam Stein asked Waters.
“No, it has not been,” Waters responded. “No it has not. And I want you to know every time I’ve talked about impeachment I’ve said we’ve got to connect the dots, we’ve got to get the facts, we’ve got to do the investigation. That is what leads to impeachment, and I’ve also said that Trump will lead us right there.”
The White House cited Waters’ remarks in a press release to reporters on Thursday afternoon, after Trump denied at a press conference that he colluded with Russians to influence the outcome of the election.
“There was no collusion, and everybody — even my enemies have said, there is no collusion,” Trump said.

billionaire turned the Philadelphia district attorney’s race on its head by giving $1.45 million to fund a super PAC in support of his preferred candidate, Larry Krasner. Krasner, a progressive lawyer who has never worked as a prosecutor, sailed to an easy victory in the Democratic primary on Tuesday. Because Philadelphia is a Democratic stronghold, Krasner’s primary victory all but guarantees him to win the general election in November.
The influx of money from Soros gave Krasner a significant leg up over his opposition. Despite splitting votes with six other candidates, Krasner, who was not a favorite to win before Soros’ investment, finished 18 points ahead of the second-place finisher. In one such instance, Soros poured $600,000 into the Houston district attorney’s race last fall. Soros initially gave $100,000 to Morris Overstreet, a former judge who was the first African-American elected to a statewide office in Texas history. Overstreet’s Democratic primary opponent, Kim Ogg, called Soros’ influx of cash “a last-minute money dump to try to buy the nomination.” Ogg won the Democratic primary and later the general election, thanks in part to her own last-minute money dump from Soros, who spent $500,000 on ads supporting Ogg.
Soros spent more than $7 million influencing local prosecutorial races in 2015 and 2016, The Washington Times reported.

It appears that Soros will continue involving himself in local races.
His intervention on behalf of Krasner was the first time in Philadelphia history that a super PAC had supported a candidate for district attorney, Philadelphia Magazine noted. Whitney Tymas, an officer for the Soros-funded super PAC, told the magazine that the money flowing to Krasner was “because of his commitment to public safety and criminal justice reform.” As he often does, Soros worked from the shadows — Krasner claimed Soros supported him despite the fact that he’s the billionaire or anyone from his organization. “I think everybody realizes that the vast majority of police officers in Philadelphia are really good people,” Krasner said in a conciliatory victory speech. “Like me, they hate bad police officers and they need the backing of law enforcement to make sure that the good police officers are promoted, that the good police officers have room to do their job, that the good police officers are safe, and that the bad police officers who endanger them and who cause there to be disrespect and a rift between them and the community are out of the way.”
Krasner’s supporters, however, showed far less tact.
As the results rolled in, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, anti-police chants rang out from the crowd: “No good cops in a racist system!”

So for this former SEAL to ask for verified sources seems like a legitimate request.

Reported By Davis | During a CNN town hall on Monday night, Pelosi once again showed how completely clueless she is after she was asked by an audience member about the hypocrisy Democrats are showing over the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, The Daily Wire reported.
“Good evening, Madam Leader. Before the election on Nov. 8, your side of the aisle were asking for the former head of the FBI to resign,” said an audience member identified as small business owner Jake Lee. “Now that he has been let go, why the sudden and selective outrage from your side of the aisle?”
The question really threw Pelosi off guard. After initially denying that she ever wanted Comey fired, and stating that “Some people were asking to be let go,” (which we’re assuming was meant to state that some people wanted Comey let go) she started complaining about why Trump fired him,
“For the president of the United States to fire with his own self-admission that he didn’t like — he was tired of the Russia-Trump probe,” she said, before stumbling over her own words.
After spending a good five seconds looking around for the right word and stammering out “uh,” Pelosi finally decided upon “distressing.”
“It’s distressing. We believe in the FBI as being an independent law enforcement agency, to be respected, and not to be fired by president because he’s tired of an investigation they’re doing,” she stated.
Throughout the entire thing Pelosi was flailing her arms about, looking like some sort of bird that didn’t quite know how to fly.
Of course throughout her answer, Pelosi never actually answered the question. That’s because the Democrats have displayed their hypocrisy for the world to see, and they are counting on the liberal media to protect them from Americans demanding answers.

Right now, Democrats are too busy screaming about impeachment and demanding a special prosecutor to articulate why exactly they are upset about Comey being fired.
Maybe in a few weeks they will calm down and be able to form coherent sentences. I mean, as much as they were ever able to.

Much to the liberal’s dismay, the very man who is at the center of this controversy has popped their impeachment bubble…and he probably enjoyed doing it too.
The Hill reports this morning that “Russian leader Vladimir Putin said early Wednesday that President Trump did not share secrets with Russian officials last week and is willing to give Congress transcripts to prove it.
The Associated Press and Reuters reported that Putin is willing to hand over the records of the president’s conversation with Russia’s foreign minister and ambassador, if the White House approves. Two days ago, The Washington Post reported that the president reveled highly classified intelligence information during that Oval Office meeting.
The Post cited current and former US officials who said Trump divulged information from a foreign source, now known to be Israel, involving a terror threat from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Putin on Wednesday joked that his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov “hasn’t shared those secrets with us.”
“I’ll be forced to issue him with a reprimand because he did not share these secrets with us,” Putin joked. “Not with me, nor with representatives of Russia’s intelligence services. It was very bad of him.”
Of course this is coming from the Washington Post, so good luck trusting everything that is being said by them. Especially since last week the WaPo called for the censoring of free speech that it doesn’t like.
To further add insult to injury to ALL of Washington and US press core Putin added:
“During a joint press conference with visiting prime minister of Italy, Putin also accused U.S. lawmakers of “stupid” and “dangerous” “anti-Russian sentiment” with accusations of sharing intelligence, the AP reported.
Putin said he had “no other explanation” for the allegations other than “political schizophrenia.”
“Either they don’t understand the damage they’re doing to their own country, in which case they are simply stupid, or they understand everything, in which case they are dangerous and corrupt,” he added.
The Russian leader also suggested that Trump was being hindered from doing his job properly. He said the American people will be able to judge Trump’s performance as president “only when he’s allowed to work at full capacity.”
BOOM and BOOM!
Politicians and reporters, do your REAL job. Stop trying to impeach a president that you have no legal basis against. The investigation is still going on and has never stopped. Comey deserved to get fired. Move on! Didn’t liberals create a whole website about that?

When The Washington Post ran a story Monday claiming that President Donald Trump had leaked classified information about the Islamic State group to Russia, the media lit up like a Christmas tree.“Finally!” an exhausted Salon.com editor no doubt exclaimed to himself through a mouthful of organic pho. “Here’s the thing we can pretend to be outraged about for the next month!” Thus began a flood of strongly worded screeds from what’s become known as the “blue feed,” accusing the president of everything from treason to really, really bad treason.
Never mind, of course, that National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster insisted the president’s discussions with the Russians were “wholly appropriate” and that the “president in no way compromised any sources or methods in the course of this conversation,” according to Fox News. The die was cast in the liberal media — and an email from John Podesta may explain why.
As you may know, the bulk of John Podesta’s email from his time with Hillary Clinton’s campaign is now in the hands of WikiLeaks for, um, certain reasons. Now, one of the messages he sent about how the left should try and capitalize on leakers is being re-examined:
The message is from the period before Clinton announced her presidential campaign. In it, he says, “I’m definitely for making an example of a suspected leaker whether or not we have any real basis for it.”

The original email had to do with leaks within the Clinton campaign. However, the idea of “making an example of a suspected leaker” even if they hadn’t done anything is definitely an ominous one.
While the quote has been seized upon by a few conspiracy theorists in the case of murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich, it has a deeper significance — to the Clinton people and their cohort on the left, accusing people of things they didn’t really do is just another implement in the political toolbox.
We’d also like to point out that, if it turns out to be untrue, it wouldn’t be the first time a story from The Washington Post that relied on anonymous sources turned out to be fake news.
As The Federalist noted, three major WaPo “scoops” from the Trump White House that had been obtained by that method — the alleged threat of Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein to resign, an allegation that James Comey had requested more resources for the Department of Justice’s investigation into Trump’s Russia links, and a story that Steve Bannon had confronted DHS chief Gen. John Kelly — were all later denied.
That’s to be expected, but perhaps less expected is just who denied them — namely, Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein, the Department of Justice and Gen. Kelly, respectively. If there was ever a time for a government official to issue a non-denial denial or simply keep quiet, those stories certainly would have fit the bill — if they were true.
Either Trump is really good at making people lie in a very public fashion or those rapscallion anonymous source types done did the media wrong again. You make the call. I think you can tell which side I’m leaning toward.
We don’t know exactly what Trump said at the White House to his Russian visitors. That puts us in the same boat as the denizens of The Washington Post and the rest of our nation’s media establishment, who are relying on the word of anonymous sources versus the word of the White House, who insist that “the premise of that (Washington Post) article is false.”
What we do know is that this story is short on specific details. We also know that it comes at a time when the left is doing everything in its power to delegitimize the Trump White House. Given those factors, perhaps it’s time to take a closer look at Podesta’s thoughts on “making an example of a suspected leaker.”

The president can’t “leak” classified information: It’s his to declassify.
The big secret Trump allegedly revealed is that Muslims might try to blow up a plane with laptops. I already knew that. I read it in The New York Times.
The New York Times, March 22, 2017:
Devices Banned on Some Planes Over ISIS Fears
“Intelligence showing that the Islamic State is developing a bomb hidden in portable electronics spurred the United States and Britain on Tuesday to bar passengers from airports in a total of 10 Muslim-majority countries from carrying laptop computers … two senior American counterterrorism officials said. …”
This totally secret, Deep Throat-level information has been widely published in thousands of news outlets throughout the civilized world. There was yet another round of stories last week with the update that the U.S. is considering a laptop ban on flights from Europe as well.
Bear with me here, I’m still working out the details, but I’m almost certain a federal judge in Hawaii can’t block a president’s temporary ban on Muslim immigration just because he’s testy with Trump over some campaign statements.
As Northwestern law professor Eugene Kontorovich explained in The Washington Post, courts have never examined a politician’s campaign statements for improper motive, because
1) campaigns are not part of the deliberative process; and
2) to start doing so would open the door to “examinations of the entire lives of political officials whose motives may be relevant to legal questions.”
Nonetheless, Kontorovich says, that is the legal argument being advanced against Trump’s travel ban: “Trump is a bigot, and thus his winning presidential campaign in fact impeaches him from exercising key constitutional and statutory powers, such as administering the immigration laws.”
To preserve their judicial coup, this Monday, the 9th Circuit sent out the geriatric ward to hear an appeal of the Hawaii judge’s absurd ruling. At their ages, there’s a good chance the judges will be dead by the time the Supreme Court overturns them.
Arguing against Trump’s exercise of his constitutional and statutory powers was first-generation American, Neal Katyal. (There are plenty of 10th-generation America-haters. You couldn’t get one of them to argue that we should end our country through mass immigration?)
At oral argument before the three wheezing gargoyles, Katyal announced that, before enforcing federal immigration laws passed by generations of Democrats and Republicans working together in Congress, the president of the United States is required to profess: “Islam is peace.”
There’s a new legal principle!
Asked by one of the crypt-keepers if Trump is the only president who would be prohibited from issuing this precise travel ban because of his statements about Muslims, the smarmy, preening, pretentious Katyal answered: “I think the most important point is, if you don’t say all these things, you never wind up with an executive order like this.”
As lawyers say: Nonresponsive!
But as long as we’re operating under these new rules for determining a U.S. president’s rights and responsibilities, how about looking at everything Trump has said about Muslims?
For example, may the courts consider this quote from September 2015?
Trump: “I love the Muslims. I think they are great people. … Would I consider putting a Muslim-American in my Cabinet? Oh, absolutely. No problem with that.”
Lawyers like Katyal aren’t telling the courts what Trump said; they’re telling courts their own crazy interpretations of what Trump said. No liberal is capable of accurately reporting Trump’s position because the left never understood his position in the first place. As Peter Thiel said, the media take Trump literally, but not seriously, while the people take him seriously, but not literally.
After the San Bernardino terrorist attacks in December 2015, Trump made the perfectly reasonable suggestion that we curtail our breakneck importation of Muslims, some of whom periodically erupt in murderous violence. The media concluded: TRUMP HATES MUSLIMS! Nothing Trump or anyone else said could persuade them otherwise.
Here’s what Trump actually said:
“What’s happened is, we’re out of control. We have no idea who’s coming into our country. We have no idea if they love us or if they hate us. … I have friends that are Muslims. They are great people. But they know we have a problem. They know we have a real problem. ‘Cause something is going on. And we can’t put up with it, folks. …
“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on. … Where the hatred comes from and why — we’ll have to determine, we’re going to have to figure it out. We have to figure it out. We can’t live like this. It’s going to get worse and worse. You’re going to have more World Trade Centers. …”
Throughout the campaign, Trump supporters tried in vain to explain the so-called “Muslim ban” to a hostile media dead set on interpreting everything out of Trump’s mouth in the ugliest possible way. For example, our general policy on Muslim immigration would be “No, thanks!” but there would be exceptions. So Charles Krauthammer can stop worrying about King Abdullah of Jordan.
In March, Trump supporter Andy Dean told a dense CNN anchor:
“He’s talking about the culture of Islam in the Middle East. … We love Muslims in America and they love us. Why? We have a great culture that respects women’s rights. … The thing about Muslims in the Middle East is they don’t respect women’s rights. If a woman wants to get a divorce in the Middle East, that woman could be killed. If you want to leave the religion of Islam in the Middle East, you can be killed. It’s very real.”
To the same blockhead anchor, Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany had to fill in an edited quote the network had just shown of Trump:
“It’s important to know what happened 15 seconds later. Anderson Cooper said to him, ‘Are you speaking of radical Islam or are you speaking of Islam?’ He said radical; sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference, though. So he did say radical Islam. He said it repeatedly during his campaign. He said, ‘I have Muslim friends. I love the Muslim people.’ …”
One of Trump’s vast number of African-American supporters told HLN’s Drew Pinksy:
“I love what (Trump) is doing with the Muslims getting out of the country, because if they really knew what that was about — if they knew that that was about freedom. It was about freedom versus enslavement.”
He’s right. It’s not about religion. It’s not about nationality. It’s about hitting the pause button on bringing in radical Islam’s dysfunctional, misogynist, violent, exploding-airplane culture.
The voters understood Trump. (At least some of us did — barely enough of us to elect him president!) Liberals didn’t. But now the courts are blocking Trump’s exercise of presidential powers based on the left’s own idiotic misinterpretations of what he said.

Asleep in the Lap of Delilah
“Like Samson,” Catt said, “we are asleep in the lap of comfort, but believe we can simply get up and fight. But you can’t sleep in the lap of Delilah and get up to wield the sword of the Lord.”
For most students of the Bible, the reference is a familiar one. In Judges 16, Samson falls for a Philistine woman named Delilah. Now, despite his supernatural strength, Samson had one very clear weakness: It seemed like he was always falling for the wrong kind of woman. In this case, Delilah was offered money from the Philistine leaders to discover a way to ruin the champion of Israel so he would no longer afflict them.
She eventually did. Samson’s love for Delilah, combined with her continued pestering of him for the secret of his strength, was the mighty man’s undoing. While he slept in Delilah’s lap, his hair was shaved. When the Philistines arrived, Samson arose to fight his enemies as at other times – but he was overcome (vv. 19-21).
The story of Samson and Delilah may have lost it’s powerful spiritual lessons for the church because it’s been the subject of “sword-and-sandal” Hollywood epics, or perhaps because we have also treated it like a punch line for jokes about marriage. But like everything else in the Bible – including the Old Testament – it “was written for our instruction” (Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:6, 11).
There is absolutely nothing in Scripture that states that this is the case. It is a delusion. Everything in the Bible exhorts and warns God’s people to remain faithful while the Master is away (Matt. 24:45-51); watch and pray in order to avoid temptation (Matt. 26:41); and not entangle ourselves in the affairs of this life so that we can serve Christ as good soldiers (2 Tim. 2:4).
The apostle Peter urges us: “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1 Pet. 5:8).
I have actually heard people teach that this is a verse mocking the devil because he is a “toothless lion”. What a sad and pitiful blindness. It is nothing of the sort. It is a warning from Peter that the devil is waiting to pounce on unsuspecting Christians – followers of Jesus who are not sober and alert. Why aren’t they? Because they are asleep in the lap of Delilah.
Peter would know about such carelessness, wouldn’t he? His denial of Christ was due to the devil prevailing over the apostle in a moment of weakness (Luke 22:31ff.)
About this passage, E.M. Bounds said:
All these [spiritual warfare] directions end in a climax, and that climax is prayer. How can the brave warrior for Christ be made braver still? How can the strong soldier be made stronger still? How can the victorious fighter be made still more victorious?
That prayer is a spiritual battle is made clear by Paul in Romans 15:30-31, where the apostle enlists fellow believers to “strive together with me in your prayers to God for me.” This implies wrestling, struggle, and combat.
“The Christian soldier must be as intense in his praying as in his fighting,” said Bounds, “for his victories will depend much more on his praying than on his fighting.”
Lest this blog become all about us, it’s important to remember that spiritual warfare is not ultimately about what we do. When Jesus told Peter the devil was gunning for him, He also reminded the apostle, “I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail” (Luke 22:32).
It should also quicken our courage to remember that the God who saw Samson yield to his weakness for women also remembered His servant and heard his cry (Judges 16:28).
Still, it is better not to stumble in our weakness and fall; it is better not to be imprisoned by the enemy and humiliated; it is better not to have to perish with the Philistines.
“Without prayer – no matter what else he has – the Christian soldier’s life will be feeble and ineffective,” Bounds said. “[H]is experience and influence will be powerless. Without prayer, the Christian graces wither and die. Without prayer … preaching is futile and fruitless.”

people have had it with authoritarian, de facto Communism. They are seriously impoverished – the eventual outcome of all Communistic/Socialistic nations. It’s always simply a question of time before they collapse on themselves.Today hybrid nations are in vogue, i.e., mixtures of Socialism and Communism versus Competitive, Free-Market Capitalism. That’s even happening in China and Russia. They have moved away from Communism/Socialism into a hybrid system that they hope will provide the
benefits of both systems. It’s Competitive, Free Enterprise to the rescue!
America’s prosperity was clearly hindered under the eight years of Obama’s Socialistic administration. Clearly, America’s flirtation with Democrat Party Socialism failed miserably – as it has in other countries where it has been tried. Venezuela is only the most current example.
In a Socialistically oriented economy, which the Democrats advocate, government in Washington calls the major shots. They try to regulate the economy, which
worldwide experience has demonstrated doesn’t work! So once again, the economy is rescued via competitive, Free-Enterprise – a proven system based on supply and demand and competitive, Free-Market Capitalism.
The smear-everything-Trump Democratic Party and the power-hungry Leftist media have discredited 
themselves by their hostile behavior and desire to bring down President Donald Trump. Trump is an outsider – not part of the political establishment – not subject to the traditional Washington rules – and they can’t stand it. The Leftist Dems and media are deploying the same smear tactics they used against Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon. They started the day after his election to not only discredit his victory – but to drive him out of the White House.
The fact that the majority of America’s 3141 counties voted to give Trump’s “America First” Agenda a try seems to have little effect on the Dems and the Leftist media. Clearly voters wanted change. America’s decline under Obama/Pelosi/Reid/Clinton/Schumer/Warren/etc. and their Leftist/Progressive/Socialistic agenda was being soundly rejected.
Already, the Economy is responding to the Trump Agenda with improvements: jobs, wages, national wealth, industrial investment, international relations, etc. And more is yet to come.

The Convention of States Project released a video to commemorate the resolution’s passage.
“The American people are growing weary of a federal government that is operating outside of its Constitutional bounds,” said Keith Carmichael, Missouri State Director for the Convention of States Project. “Neither party represents the people, but rather outside influences that help them get re-elected, so by calling a Convention of States under Article V, the states can recalibrate the balance between the federal government and return power back to the people—not to mention that a convention of this magnitude would be the biggest civics lesson of our lifetime.”
Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin broke the news on his radio program Friday evening.
“This is a big deal,” Levin said. “We’re more than a third of the way there.”

“I actually reported my abuse 14 years ago. I went to the authorities, my parents did. I sat and gave video interviews with the police, I was willing to work with them.
“But as soon as I said the names, I was made to feel as though I was racist and I was the one who had the problem.
“I was specifically told not to comment on the ethnicity of the perpetrators.”
She stated that she was told “numerous times” by the police and social workers not to mention anything about race.
“I knew I wasn’t racist, but I felt like that was used as a way to silence me.”
Asked by Ms. Hopkins how that made her feel at the time, Emma said: “My perpetrators made me feel like I was in the wrong and they [police and social workers] fed into that. And I felt like: ‘Maybe my perpetrators are right. Maybe it’s not them that’s got the problem, maybe it’s me’.”
Groomed from 12, Emma told LBC listeners she was a virgin when she was raped at age 13. Detailing that the rapes happened regularly, she described one occasion where she was locked in a property and sexually assaulted by multiple men.
The Muslim gang then began blackmailing the now teenaged Emma, threatening to gang rape her mother if she told her parents.
“That was my life,” she said.
After reporting the incident to the police, the rapes continued because police said it was “[her] word against his”. Police also lost the clothes she had been raped in, leaving no physical evidence of the crime.
She found herself abused and raped by other gangs. She went back to the police at age 14 but they told her there wasn’t enough evidence. She was only saved when her parents decided to move out of the country.
“Nobody wanted to stop it, and that was the only way they could stop it,” Emma said.
Ms. Hopkins told Emma that other parents of victims of Muslim grooming gangs had moved their daughters abroad, saying moving girls to different parts of the country was ineffective as the rape gangs are “networked between cities”.
The Rotherham child sex abuse scandal is the biggest child protection scandal in Britain’s history, where, since the late 1980s, police and social services failed to protect girls from predatory grooming gangs made up of Muslim men for fear of being labelled racist, leading to institutional cover-ups.
Other Muslim grooming networks, such as those in Sheffield and Rochdale, were also exposed since Rotherham.
But, even after all of this came to light, people are still trying to cover up the race/religion of the gang members. A new BBC drama Three Girls is coming out. It tells the story of three children from Rochdale targeted by a gang of Pakistani and Afghani origin Muslims.
Guess what was not mentioned in the trailer or any press releases…
If you said Islam, you would be correct.
Emma, along with all the other children who suffered at the hands of these pigs, deserve justice. This is not justice. Not even close.

And Elizabeth Warren. Old Lizzy wonders why the minimum wage isn’t $22 an hour (yes, she’s insane). Not only is she for an outrageous minimum wage, but she believes she is the “champion of women’s rights” as well.
But liberal hypocrisy always shines through. Bernie’s interns during his presidential campaign, they were paid $12 an hour. And Warren has a worse record. Her interns aren’t paid at all! And if you are a woman and manage to work for her with pay, you will find you wages equaling only 71 percent of your male counterparts.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The people who intern for the DNC are expected to work overtime. Then they have to sue to be compensated for their work.

Dozens of field workers have filed a class action lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee, claiming the party that is pushing employers to pay a $15 minimum wage and more in overtime failed to pay overtime and minimum wages to its own employees.
Justin Swidler, the attorney representing the field workers, argued the Democratic Party failed to pay workers a minimum wage and denied them overtime compensation.
The 2016 Democratic platform pushed for a $15-per-hour minimum wage, a nearly $8 increase from the current minimum, and promised to defend an Obama-era regulation forcing employers to pay a higher rate to employees for working more than 40 hours.
Some of the Democrats’ workers put in 80-90 hours per week, according to Swidler, and got only $3,000 per month in compensation. “They got paid a flat salary of $3,000 a month, which isn’t even minimum wage for some of the hours that they were working,” Swidler said.
The Democratic platform decried the current federal minimum of $7.25 per hour as ”starvation wage” and declared “no one who works full time should have to raise a family in poverty.”
The Democratic Party, Swidler noted, claimed it did not have enough money to pay workers overtime. “One of the arguments that the Democrats are making is that they just don’t have the money to pay overtime to their workers,” Swidler said.

According to Fox News: A federal investigator who reviewed an FBI forensic report — generated within 96 hours after DNC staffer Seth Rich’s murder — detailing the contents Rich’s computer said he made contact with WikiLeaks through Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker, and director of WikiLeaks who was living in London at the time.
“I have seen and read the emails between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” the federal investigator told Fox News, confirming the MacFadyen connection. He said the emails are in possession of the FBI, while the stalled case is in the hands of the Washington Police Department.
The revelation is consistent with the findings of Rod Wheeler, a former DC homicide detective and Fox News contributor and whose private investigation firm was hired by a third party on behalf of Rich’s family to probe the case. Rich was shot from behind in the wee hours, but was not robbed.
“My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” Wheeler said. “I do believe that the answers to who murdered Seth Rich sits on his computer on a shelf at the DC police or FBI headquarters.”
On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party’s presidential nominee. That controversy resulted in Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigning as DNC chairperson. A number of Sanders supporters refused to back party nominee Hillary Clinton, and some subsequently formed groups to work against Clinton and the party.
Wheeler believes powerful forces are preventing the case from a thorough investigation.
“My investigation shows someone within the D.C. government, Democratic National Committee or Clinton team is blocking the murder investigation from going forward,” Wheeler told Fox News. “That is unfortunate. Seth Rich’s murder is unsolved as a result of that.”
Will these investigators be able to find who was responsible for this shooting? Or is it as Wheeler states that larger powers will keep that from happening?

It was about whether an American can be compelled by government force to communicate a message which violates his conscience and deeply held religious belief. – Bryan Fischer
Blaine Adamson is the owner of a T-shirt shop in Frankfort, Kentucky, Hands On Originals. He is also a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ. So naturally when he was approached in 2012 by a local homosexual activist group to print a shirt promoting The Lexington “Pride” Festival, he politely declined, and courteously referred them to a nearby shop who would be happy to provide the service.
In fact, a quick look at the Frankfort area Yellow Pages lists no less than 21 different businesses which cater to the T-shirt printing crowd, so there was simply no need for Adamson to be forced under the threat of fines and worse to do a job which would have caused him to violate his conscience. Plus, the gay activists wound up getting their shirts for free from another vendor.
But for politely exercising his First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion, Adamson was promptly sued. His case finally made it to the Court of Appeals in Kentucky. (The Court of Appeals is one step below the state supreme court). In a surprising move, given the almost total obeisance of judges to the bullies and bigots of the homosexual lobby, the court actually ruled in favor of religious liberty and freedom of speech. 
The issue, in other words, was not about sexual orientation at all but about speech. It was about whether an American can be compelled by government force to communicate a message which violates his conscience and deeply held religious belief.
Section 5 of the Kentucky constitution is quite clear, unambiguous, and emphatic on the issue (emphasis mine): “[T]he civil rights, privileges or capacities of no person shall be taken away, or in anywise diminished or enlarged, on account of his belief or disbelief of any religious tenet, dogma or teaching. No human authority shall, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience.” 
As further proof that the issue for Adamson is one of conscience and religious scruple, and not an expression of some kind of hate-filled homophobia, he has also declined to print T-Shirts that use the word “b**ches” or that featured Jesus dressed as a pirate.
What should not be missed here is that there are two larger issues involved, as lesbian writer Tammy Bruce pointed out some time ago. For the government to force someone to do work that violates his conscience is nothing less than tyranny. And for a man to be compelled under threat of punishment to perform work against his will is slavery.
The reality is that the LGBT lobby is the reincarnation of some of the worst elements of the mindless prejudice of the Old South in its irrational venom toward people (Christians) who are not like them. The rainbow flag is the new Confederate flag. It is as much a symbol of bigotry as that flag ever was in the minds of the left. 
Bottom line: in Frankfort, Kentucky, homosexual activists tried to reintroduce slavery to the Deep South. They failed in the attempt. And the Constitution’s protections for religious liberty and freedom of speech were upheld. Let’s pray that this court will be just the first of many to protect our first freedom against the tyranny of the left.

Kim accused the United States of “browbeating” countries that “have no nukes” and warned Washington not to misjudge the reality that its mainland is in the North’s “sighting range for strike,” the North’s official KCNA news agency reported.
The North fired a ballistic missile that landed in the sea near Russia on Sunday in a launch that Washington called a message to South Korea, days after its new president took office pledging to engage Pyongyang in dialogue.
The missile was launched at the highest angle so as not to affect the security of neighbouring countries and flew 490 miles reaching an altitude of 1,312 miles, KCNA said.
Experts said the altitude reached by the missile tested on Sunday meant it was launched at a high trajectory, which would limit the lateral distance it travelled. But if it was fired at a standard trajectory, it would have a range of at least 2,500 miles, experts said.
“The test-fire aimed at verifying the tactical and technological specifications of the newly developed ballistic rocket capable of carrying a large-size heavy nuclear warhead,” KCNA said.
“If the U.S. awkwardly attempts to provoke the DPRK, it will not escape from the biggest disaster in the history, Kim said, strongly warning the U.S. should not to disregard or misjudge the reality that its mainland and Pacific operation region are in the DPRK’s sighting range for strike and that it has all powerful means for retaliatory strike,” KCNA said.
DPRK is short for North Korea’s formal name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
North Korea is believed to be developing an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and reaching the mainland United States. The U.S. military’s Pacific Command said the type of missile that was fired was “not consistent with an intercontinental ballistic missile“.
The United Nations Security Council is due to meet on Tuesday to discuss North Korea’s latest missile launch, diplomats said on Sunday, which was requested by the United States and allies South Korea and Japan.
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley called the launch a message by Pyongyang to South Korea after the election of President Moon Jae-in, who took office on Wednesday.
“You first have to get into Kim Jong Un’s head — which is, he’s in a state of paranoia, he’s incredibly concerned about anything and everything around him,” Haley told ABC’s “This Week” program, referring to North Korea’s leader.
The report on the missile’s flight was largely consistent with South Korean and Japanese assessments on Sunday that it flew 700 km (435 miles)and reached an altitude of more than 2,000 km (1,243 miles), which is further and higher than an intermediate-range missile tested in February from the same region, northwest of Pyongyang.
“North Korea’s latest successful missile test represents a level of performance never before seen from a North Korean missile,” Washington-based monitoring project, 38 North, said in an analysis issued on Sunday.
“It appears to have not only demonstrated an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) that might enable them to reliably strike the U.S. base at Guam, but more importantly, may represent a substantial advance to developing an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM),” it said.

In one of the most recent incidents, police in Tennessee charged a woman with felony reckless endangerment on Thursday for allegedly trying to run Republican Congressman David Kustoff off the road after a town hall. The woman, Wendi Wright, was reportedly enraged over Kustoff’s support for the American Health Care Act and screamed at the congressman and his aide, striking his car windows and reaching inside the vehicle.
The same day that Tennessee police charged Wright for reckless endangerment, police in North Dakota escorted an 
enraged man from another town hall after he became physical with Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer over his support for the GOP Obamacare replacement. “Will the rich benefit from, if the health care is destroyed, do the rich get a tax break? Yes or no?” the man shouted, before shoving cash down the congressman’s collar. “There you go, take it.”
CNN’s Poppy Harlow downplayed the incident, saying the man was “showing his disgust” with Cramer.
The day before that, a Huffington Post article that showed “how to really turn up the heat on elected officials” went viral. The author, Michaelangelo Signorile, called on protesters to harass Republicans at dinner, when they’re out shopping and even at home. Societal norms for the basic levels of decency one should afford political opponents, Signorile argued, no longer apply to liberals.

“Starting today and from here on, no elected official ― certainly those in the GOP
defending and supporting Trump on a variety of issues, for example ― should be able to sit down for a nice, quiet lunch or dinner in a Washington, DC eatery or even in their own homes. They should be hounded by protestors everywhere, especially in public ― in restaurants, in shopping centers, in their districts, and yes, on the public property outside their homes and apartments, in Washington and back in their home states.”
Signorile’s article has already been shared more than 29,000 times.

A popular parade in Portland, Oregon last month was cancelled after threats of violence against one of the groups participating — a local Republican organization.
An email warning parade organizers promised 200 or more protesters would rush into the parade and drag the 
Republican marchers out, if that’s what it took to keep them from participating. “You have seen how much power we have downtown and that the police cannot stop us from shutting down roads so please consider your decision wisely,” the email warned. The threat was sent from an email address registered with RiseUp.Net, an organization that is open about “providing communication and computer resources to allies engaged in struggles against capitalism and other forms of oppression.”
The Oregon threat was credible in part because Berkeley, California has become a literal political battlefield on 
multiple occasions now, after far-left groups have resorted to violence to keep Pro-Trump speakers (or, in one case, free speech marchers who happened to be Trump supporters) from appearing in public.

A North Carolina GOP office was even firebombed a month before the election, and a building adjacent to it was spray painted with graffiti: “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else.”
Shortly before the election, a female high school student was attacked after declaring her support for Trump. A fellow female student took the girl’s glasses off and punched her in the face, saying, “Fuck you, you bitch.”
Olivia Corn, president of Cornell University’s College Republicans, said she was physically assaulted the night after Trump won the election. “Fuck you, racist bitch, you support a racist party,” her attacker reportedly said. Ironically, Corn said she was “not Donald Trump’s biggest fan,” and added that she “was saddened that I was not afforded the same respect that I offer others.”
A Maryland high school student wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat after the election was punched and kicked by students protesting Trump after he started arguing with them.
Similarly, police in Florida arrested a 17-year-old high school student after he punched a classmate for carrying a Trump sign at school.
“It definitely had a political motivation,” said Lt. Mike Bandish of the Palm Bay Police Department. “The boy was carrying a Trump sign and walked into the gym. The other boy punched him in the face.”

McCullough, 25, answered a question about affordable health care by saying health care was a privilege and not a right. She said the country’s focus should be on getting more people jobs so they can afford health insurance. Liberals ran to Twitter to disagree — and complaints ranged from calling for the removal of the contestant to downright misogyny.
McCullough also answered a question later by saying that she did not consider herself a feminist. “I don’t want to call myself a feminist,” McCullough said. “Women, we are just as equal as men, especially in the workplace.” McCullough said she didn’t prefer the word “feminist” and “transferred the word feminist to equalism.” The liberal crowd chimed in once more.
What’s ironic here is that people on social media were in a celebratory mood most of the night, since the top five contestants were quite a diverse group of women; only one Caucasian contestant made the cut.
Despite the outrage, McCullough also earned a fair amount of support from those who saw a woman onstage standing up for what she believed in, no matter the consequences.
In the end, McCullough represented far more of America’s opinions and feelings than some would like to admit. Now that she’s been crowned Miss USA, she will next compete for Miss Universe.

One such connection is with Hillary Clinton and Peter Comey. He is reportedly on Hillary’s tax team with the Washington law firm DLA Piper.
Peter Comey works at the Washington law firm DLA Piper, serving as “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas.”
Shortly before the election, my source called up DLA Piper’s offices in Chinatown and confirmed that the law firm immediately patches callers through to Peter Comey’s direct line there.
DLA Piper is one of Hillary Clinton’s top ten all-time career campaign donors.
DLA Piper also does the Clinton Foundation’s taxes. That’s right. In fact, when the Clinton Foundation scandal broke, it was DLA Piper that performed the 2015 audit on the Foundation, which was supposed to be an independent audit for the appearance of propriety.
Now it’s also shown that James has helped out his bro Petey with his home mortgage, like any good brother would. James owning this mortgage while being Director of the FBI and conducting an investigation into Hillary Clinton proves direct financial ties with a DLA Piper executive.
With this kind of back door dealing and connections, one would say it was far beyond time for James Comey to be fired.
No wonder Hillary isn’t sitting in a jail cell right now.

Tens of thousands of individual health policy consumers in Iowa could be left with no health insurance options if the last carrier for most of the state stops selling such policies, as it suggested Wednesday.
Medica, a Minnesota-based health insurer, released a statement suggesting it was close to following two larger carriers in deciding not to sell such policies in Iowa for 2018, because of instability in the market. –USA Today
If you don’t like USA today, you could read FORBES or CNN saying the same things.
If that was his crowning achievement, and it sucks so badly, his lesser achievements — including his open-border policy — must be that much worse. Considering he promised to Fundamentally Transform America…
