LA Increases Minimum Wage, Employers Invest in Machines

Liberals have once again shown their startling ignorance regarding economics and how humans react to laws by altering how they spend money, whether for personal or business reasons. On Tuesday, by an almost unanimous vote, the Los Angeles City Council passed a law raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Wages will begin rising this year to $9 per hour and reach $15 within five years.more evidence

Employers response? According to the Los Angeles County Business Federation, the number of employers that say they intend to invest in automation that eliminate jobs doubled this year, to 59 percent.

Similar laws have passed in other cities recently, such as Seattle, which has resulted in a record number of restaurant closings. Small business owners in LA are claiming that they too, will be forced to close or move.

Despite what should herald a tremendous hiring boom in Los Angeles County, the “Dead Hand of Government Impoverishes the Middle Class” through a combination of high taxes, restrictive regulations, excessive permitting–and minimum wage hikes.

Tracy Rafter, founding Chief Executive of the Federation, commented on this year’s results, “Hiring, which it’s a bit better, is not where things are growing–they’re growing in technology,” because, “People cost so much more than technology over time.”

From Breitbart:

L.A. businesses are especially frustrated with the bureaucratic nightmare they experience dealing with of local, county and state building and safety planning departments. The BizFed poll found that the burden of securing operating permits was the most frustrating issue for local businesses, other than taxes and compliance fees.

For companies that do expand, they “must navigate what’s been called a spaghetti bowl of permit requirements”, according to the Times. Rafter worries that technological advancements have made it easier for frustrated local companies to just go “mobile” and conduct the bulk of their business elsewhere.

We see the same story unfolding across the nation in cities and states with unfriendly business environments; high unemployment rates, high taxes, and onerous regulations which prove to be a drag on the economy. Almost always Democrat majority run, their typical “solution” is to throw more gasoline on the fire.Picture6

SOUTH CAROLINA Democrats Oppose Legislation That Would Ban Islamic Sharia Law from State Courts

Reported By

Islamization

The Republican-sponsored anti-sharia legislation which would ensure that Islamic and other foreign laws are kept out of consideration by South Carolina courts is being stonewalled by Democrat panderers who seek to appease Muslim supremacists pushing hard to get sharia law recognized by American courts.

Post and Courier: A vote on the anti-Sharia law bill was postponed until Tuesday at the earliest after an hours-long debate over Charleston Republican Rep. Chip Limehouse’s proposal. Limehouse has said a law is needed to prevent radical Islamic beliefs from infiltrating state courts. Democrats said the bill showed why the GOP was unfit to govern and why South Carolina is the butt of late-night television jokes. They accused Republicans of legislating off of Internet rumors.

Rep. James Smith, D-Columbia, called the bill “red meat” and “politics at its worst,” while Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter, D-Orangeburg, chastised Limehouse and others for having the wrong priorities.Liberalism a mental disorder 2

Defenders of the measure said that events in Iraq and the growth of radical Islam in America mean that South Carolina should ensure that laws adhered to by militant groups like ISIS don’t end up in U.S. courts. Sharia law is also sometimes used in Muslim communities to settle contract disputes or family matters, although American courts are not bound by those rules. The terrorist group ISIS has used the 14th century laws to justify the beheading of prisoners in Syria and Iraq.

Limehouse has cited the Center for Security Policy, a conservative Washington, D.C.-based think tank, that has prompted states around the country to introduce laws banning the use of foreign or Sharia laws. The center has cited 146 cases in 32 states where Sharia law was used as a legal argument. Those states are Tennessee, Louisiana, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Washington, Alabama and Florida, according to the center.Got-Quran_thumb1-300x228

A fear of Islamic law has grown particularly among conservative groups around the country as terrorist groups have carried out attacks and spread their message on social media. Rep. Joe Neal, D-Hopkins, said Republicans were fear-mongering. “Laws in this state ought to be based on our Constitution not on fear, not on suspicion,” he said. “We’re better than this because we don’t need to give in to fear … and the kind of low-brow politics this seems to represent.”Picture9

House Passes Pro-Life Bill Banning Late-Term Abortions After 20 Weeks

waving flagReported by Steven Ertelt May 13, 2015, Washington, DC

Should the Senate approve the bill, President Barack Obama has issued a veto threat. But pro-life groups hope to use the measure as an election tool in 2016 in an attempt to wrest control of the White House and approve a pro-life president who will sign it into law.

During the debate today on a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks, Congressman Sean Duffy gave what may be one of the most passionate defenses of the pro-life position ever seen on the floor of Congress. Duffy took on the claim often made by Democrats who support abortion saying they stand for the defenseless and voiceless.

“I’ve listened to the floor debate day after day .. about how they fight for the forgotten, they fight for the defenseless, they fight for the voiceless. And they pound their chest and stomp their feet. You don’t have anyone in our society that’s more defenseless than these little babies,” he said. “And we are not taking — I believe in conception. I know my colleagues can’t agree with me on that. Can’t we come together and say we are going to stand with little babies that feel pain, that survive outside the womb? Ones that don’t have lobbyists and money? Don’t we stand with those little babies?”Picture15 Picture14

“If you stand with the defenseless, with the voiceless, you have to stand with little babies. Don’t talk to me about cruelty in our bill — when you look at little babies being dismembered, feeling excruciating pain, if we can’t stand to defend these children, what do we stand for in this institution?” he added.

The vote for the bill came on the anniversary of the conviction of late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who killed babies in a live-birth abortion process.

“Two years ago today, Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell was convicted of murder, conspiracy to kill and involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to life imprisonment,” Congressman Chris Smith said.

“Even though the news of Gosnell’s child slaughter was largely suppressed by the mainstream media, many of my colleagues may remember that Dr. Gosnell operated a large Philadelphia abortion clinic where women died and countless babies were dismembered or chemically destroyed often by having their spinal cords snipped—all gruesome procedures causing excruciating pain to the victim,” he added. “The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is needed now more than ever because there are Gosnells all over America, dismembering and decapitating pain-capable babies for profit.”

“Fresh impetus for the bill came from a huge study of nearly 5,000 babies—preemies—published last week in the New England Journal of Medicine. The next day, a New York Times article titled: “Premature Babies May Survive at 22 Weeks if Treated” touted the Journal’s extraordinary findings of survival and hope,” Congressman Smith continued. “Thus the babies we seek to protect from harm today may survive if treated humanely, with expertise and compassion—not the cruelty of the abortion.”oct172014 02

This is the second time the House has voted for the legislation — having approved it in May 2013. The bill was then blocked by pro-abortion Democrats who controlled the U.S. Senate. During the hearing on the last bill, former abortion practitioner Anthony Levatino told members of the committee the gruesome details of his former abortion practice and how he became pro-life following the tragic automobile accident of his child.

Another bombshell dropped during the hearing came from Dr. Maureen Condic, who is Associate Professor of Neurobiology and Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She testified that the unborn child is capable of reacting to pain as early as 8-10 weeks. This is when most abortions in America take place.

Americans strongly support legislation that would ban late-term abortions and protect babies who are capable of feeling intense pain during an abortion.

24weekunbornbaby

The vast majority of Americans are still very uncomfortable with abortion, according to a January Marist University poll. The survey finds support for abortion restrictions among both “pro-life” and “pro-choice” supporters. Despite the strong support, President Barack Obama has threatened to veto the pro-life bill.

According to the national survey, 84% of Americans want significant restrictions on abortion, and would limit abortions to, at most, the first three months of pregnancy. This includes almost 7 in 10 (69 percent) who identify themselves as “pro-choice” who support such abortion limits and oppose late-term abortions. The same percentage (84 percent) also says that laws can protect both the well-being of a woman and the life of the unborn. In addition, by more than 20 points (60 percent to 38 percent), Americans say abortion is morally wrong.

Other national polls also show strong support nationwide for the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and stopping late-term abortions. A poll conducted for the liberal Huffington Post find Americans support the ban on late-term abortions starting at 20-weeks of pregnancy by almost a 2-1 margin. A national poll by The Polling Company found that, after being informed that there is scientific evidence that unborn children are capable of feeling pain at least by 20 weeks, 64% would support a law banning abortion after 20 weeks, unless the mother’s life was in danger. Only 30% said they would oppose such a law.burke

A November 2014 poll from Quinnipiac found that 60 percent of Americans support legislation limiting abortions after 20 weeks, including 56 percent of Independents and 46 percent of Democrats. The bill relies on the science of fetal pain to establish a Constitutional reason for Congress to ban abortions late in pregnancy. The science behind the concept of fetal pain is fully established and Dr. Steven Zielinski, an internal medicine physician from Oregon, is one of the leading researchers into it. He first published reports in the 1980s to validate research showing evidence for it. He has testified before Congress that an unborn child could feel pain at “eight-and-a-half weeks and possibly earlier” and that a baby before birth “under the right circumstances, is capable of crying.”Ki;lling a baby with poison

He and his colleagues Dr. Vincent J. Collins and Thomas J. Marzen were the top researchers to point to fetal pain decades ago. Collins, before his death, was Professor of Anesthesiology at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois and author of Principles of Anesthesiology, one of the leading medical texts on the control of pain. “The functioning neurological structures necessary to suffer pain are developed early in a child’s development in the womb,” they wrote. “Functioning neurological structures necessary for pain sensation are in place as early as 8 weeks, but certainly by 13 1/2 weeks of gestation. Sensory nerves, including nociceptors, reach the skin of the fetus before the 9th week of gestation. The first detectable brain activity occurs in the thalamus between the 8th and 10th weeks. The movement of electrical impulses through the neural fibers and spinal column takes place between 8 and 9 weeks gestation. By 13 1/2 weeks, the entire sensory nervous system functions as a whole in all parts of the body,” they continued.

With Zielinski and his colleagues the first to provide the scientific basis for the concept of fetal pain, Dr. Kanwaljeet Anand has provided further research to substantiate their work. One leading expert in the field of fetal pain, Dr. Kanwaljeet S. Anand at the University of Tennessee, stated in his expert report commissioned by the U.S. Department of Justice, “It is my opinion that the human fetus possesses the ability to experience pain from 20 weeks of gestation, if not earlier, and the pain perceived by a fetus is possibly more intense than that perceived by term newborns or older children.”

“The neural pathways are present for pain to be experienced quite early by unborn babies,” explains Steven Calvin, M.D., perinatologist, chair of the Program in Human Rights Medicine, University of Minnesota, where he teaches obstetrics.

Dr. Colleen A. Malloy, Assistant Professor, Division of Neonatology at Northwestern University in her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee in May 2012 said, “[w]hen we speak of infants at 22 weeks LMP [Note: this is 20 weeks post fertilization], for example, we no longer have to rely solely on inferences or ultrasound imagery, because such premature patients are kicking, moving, reacting, and developing right before our eyes in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.”

“In today’s medical arena, we resuscitate patients at this age and are able to witness their ex-utero growth and development. Medical advancement and technology have enabled us to improve our ability to care for these infants…In fact, standard of care for neonatal intensive care units requires attention to and treatment of neonatal pain,” Dr. Malloy testified. She continued, “[t]hus, the difference between fetal and neonatal pain is simply the locale in which the pain occurs. The receiver’s experience of the pain is the same. I could never imagine subjecting my tiny patients to horrific procedures such as those that involve limb detachment or cardiac injection.”mommy can you feel me

Other provisions in H.R. 36 include:

 • An Informed Consent Form including the age of the child; a description of the law; an explanation that if the baby is born-alive, he or she will be given medical assistance and transported to a hospital; and information about the woman’s right to sue if these protections are not followed. Women deserve this information.
 • The woman is empowered with a Civil Right of Action, so she may sue abortion providers who fail to comply with the law. Parents are also given a civil right of action if the law is not followed with regard to their minor daughter.Let God

Charge: Election commission Dems want to regulate conservative Internet, super PACs

Bristling at claims that GOP opposition has made the Federal Election Commission “worse than dysfunctional” in the eyes of the Democratic chairwoman, Republicans counter-charge that the left is frustrated because it hasn’t succeeded in regulating conservative Internet sites, media and right-leaning super PACs.

In an escalating fight on the politically-divided FEC, the former Republican chairman on Monday charged his Democratic replacement with playing politics and trying to belittle foes to get her way.Liberalism a mental disorder 2

“In Washington, people have a way of vilifying anything they disagree with in the most unflattering labels,” wrote Republican Commissioner Lee E. Goodman in a column for Politico. It was in response to claims by Democratic Chair Ann Ravel that the GOP is thwarting her bid to clean up politics.Free Speech Definition

“Commissioner Ravel believes that there are too many instances where the commissioners have evenly divided their votes, and that the bipartisan safeguards that prevent one party from politicizing or misusing the agency to punish political enemies stand in the way of meaningful enforcement,” wrote Goodman.

Ravel recently hit the GOP side in a New York Times article. “The likelihood of the laws being enforced is slim,” she charged. “I never want to give up, but I’m not under any illusions. People think the FEC is dysfunctional. It’s worse than dysfunctional,” she added.Offical Seal

The paper described the FEC as being “perpetually locked in 3-to-3 ties along party lines on key votes.” But Goodman provided figures which dismissed that charge. Under his chairmanship, he said, the commission acted in a bipartisan manner 93 percent of the time, including several votes with the GOP by Ravel.Party of Deciet and lies

However on key issues like Democratic targeting of conservative media, possibly including conservative websites like the Drudge Report, the sides deadlocked.

Goodman also said Ravel’s war on “dark money” only targets Republican groups, making the agency too partisan. “To punctuate her concerns over ‘dark money’ as the poster issue for Republican lawlessness, she has publicly called out four conservative non-profit organizations: Crossroads GPS, Americans for Job Security, American Future Fund and the American Action Network. Commissioner Ravel never mentions the many liberal groups that spend millions of dollars in elections without disclosing their donors, including Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, SEIU and many others. The omission suggests what many conservatives suspect really drives the philosophical complaint and sows cynicism,” he wrote.Tyranney Alert

Goodman said the 3-3 votes show the wisdom of Congress setting up the FEC as a divided body. “No one team gets to choose all the umpires or unilaterally set the rules of the game,” he wrote.

Netanyahu Responds to Obama’s Criticism of His Speech to Congress

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday he offered a “practical alternative” to the deal being negotiated over Iran’s nuclear program, after President Barack Obama criticized his address to Congress as containing “nothing new.” Obama said Netanyahu didn’t offer any “viable alternative” and that “as far as I can tell, there was nothing new” in the Tuesday speech.

“In my speech before the Congress, I presented a practical alternative,” Netanyahu said upon landing at Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport. He said his alternative would impose tougher restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program and delay how quickly the Islamic Republic could assemble a nuclear weapon.

In a speech that stirred political intrigue in two countries, Netanyahu told Congress that negotiations underway between Iran and the U.S. would "all but guarantee" that Tehran will get nuclear weapons, a step that the world must avoid at all costs. The prime minister said that he had received positive responses from both sides of the aisle. “The response I received from both Democrats and Republicans was very supportive,” Netanyahu said. I got the impression that they better understand that the current proposal would lead to a bad deal and that the alternative is a better deal.”Back-stabed1 Israels-Back-590-LI

Netanyahu reiterated that he had pushed the six powers currently negotiating with Iran — Britain, China, France, Russia, Germany and the United States — to link easing sanctions to Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism, not just to the nuclear issue. “I also called on the P5+1 to insist on a deal that would link the lifting of those restrictions to Iran’s ceasing its sponsorship of terrorism around the world, its aggression against its neighbors and its calls for Israel’s destruction,” Netanyahu said.

The prime minister’s office issued a string of tweets quoting Netanyahu, concluding with the greeting, “Happy Purim,” the holiday based on the experiences recounted in the Book of Esther where the Jewish people were saved from a genocidal Persian official. Netanyahu in his Tuesday address compared the biblical narrative to the existential threat Iran poses to Israel today.

After Netanyahu’s speech, Obama told reporters that “on the core issue, which is how do we prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which would make it far more dangerous and would give it scope for even greater action in the region, the prime minister didn’t offer any viable alternatives.”muslim-obama Islamapologist Obama Muslim collection

Netanyahu told Congress Tuesday, “Now we’re being told that the only alternative to this bad deal is war. That’s just not true. The alternative to this bad deal is a much better deal,” the prime minister said.

What’s in the spending bill? We skim it so you don’t have to

By Ed O’Keefe December 10

This item has been updated and revised.

The $1.01 trillion spending bill unveiled late Tuesday will keep most of the federal government funded through next September — and it’s packed with hundreds of policy instructions, known on Capitol Hill as “riders,” that will upset or excite Democrats, Republicans and various special interest groups.

So, what’s in the bill? We’ve sifted through the legislation, consulted supporting documents from Democratic and Republican aides, and called out some of the more notable and controversial elements below. (If you want to review detailed reports on all 12 parts of the spending bill, click here.)

Please note: This is a fluid report that will be updated to add more detail or correct errors. What notable changes did we miss? What notable changes did you spot? Contact us or share details in the comments section below:

ABORTION:

The bill once again bans using federal funding to perform most abortions; blocks the use of local and federal funding for abortions in the District of Columbia; and blocks the use of federal dollars for abortions for federal prisoners. Republicans say that there’s also new language directing the secretary of health and human services to ensure that consumers shopping for health-care coverage on the federal exchange can tell whether a plan covers abortion services.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT:

The law is still funded, but there’s no new money for it. There’s also no new ACA-related funding for the Internal Revenue Service and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the two agencies most responsible for implementing the law. The bill also would cut the budget of the Independent Payment Advisory Board — what Republicans have called “the death panel” — by $10 million.

AFGHANISTAN:

Congress withholds funding for the Afghan government “until certain conditions are met,” including implementing the bilateral security agreement reached with the United States.

AMTRAK:

The nation’s rail passenger service earns $1.39 billion, the same amount it currently receives. The rail service carries passengers through 46 states and hit an all-time high of 31.6 million passengers during the last fiscal year, according to Democratic aides.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE:

The bill would dramatically expand the amount of money that wealthy political donors could inject into the national parties, drastically undercutting the 2002 landmark McCain-Feingold campaign finance overhaul. Bottom line: A donor who gave the maximum $32,400 this year to the Democratic National Committee or Republican National Committee would be able to donate another $291,600 on top of that to the party’s additional arms — a total of $324,000, ten times the current limit. Read more on this here.

CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL:

The agency would get more than $6.9 billion, an increase of about $42.7 million. The nation’s leading disease-fighters also get $30 million to help fight Ebola (see below).

CLEAN WATER ACT:

In a win for Republicans, the spending bill blocks the Environmental Protection Agency from applying the law to certain farm ponds and irrigation ditches — a move that GOP aides said would benefit farmers.

DODD-FRANK:

Democrats agreed to make some of the biggest changes yet to the 2010 financial regulatory reforms. In a deal sought by Republicans, the bill would reverse Dodd-Frank requirements that banks “push out” some of derivatives trading into separate entities not backed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporations. Ever since being enacted, banks have been pushing to reverse the change. Now, the rules would go back to the way they used to be. But in exchange, Democrats say they secured more money for the enforcement budgets at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Derivative (finance)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In finance, a derivative is a contract that derives its value from the performance of an underlying entity. This underlying entity can be an asset, index, or interest rate, and is often called the “underlying”.[1][2] Derivatives can be used for a number of purposes – including insuring against price movements (hedging), increasing exposure to price movements for speculation or getting access to otherwise hard to trade assets or markets.[3]

Some of the more common derivatives include forwards, futures, options, swaps, and variations of these such as collateralized debt obligations, credit default swaps, and mortgage backed securities. Most derivatives are traded over-the-counter (off-exchange) or on an exchange such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while most insurance contracts have developed into a separate industry. Derivatives are one of the three main categories of financial instruments, the other two being equities (i.e. stocks or shares) and debt (i.e. bonds and mortgages).

EBOLA:

Roughly $5.4 billion is provided across several agencies to combat the spread of the disease in the United States and around the world. The amount is less than the $6 billion Obama requested.

EGYPT:

The beleaguered country gets $1.3 billion in military aid and $150 million in economic aid — but the money is subject to “democracy and human rights conditions,” while the secretary of state can make exceptions for counterterrorism and border security operations. Why

EMBASSIES:

There’s $5.4 billion for security at U.S. embassies worldwide, $46 million more than Obama requested. The total includes new money to implement recommendations from the Benghazi Accountability Review Board. The bill also once again bans any embassy construction money to be spent on the lavish new U.S. embassy in London.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY:

The agency gets $8.1 billion, down $60 million from the last fiscal year. The agency’s budget has been slashed by $2.2 billion, or 21 percent, since fiscal 2010, according to GOP aides. The cuts mean that EPA will have to reduce its staffing to the lowest levels since 1989.

ERIC CANTOR:

Well, kind of. The former House majority leader stunned the political world by losing in a GOP primary last summer. But Congress agreed to provide $12.6 million for his signature legislative achievement — the Gabriella Miller Kids First Act, which authorizes new federally-funded pediatric research. The bill was paid for by slashing federal funding for political conventions.

FEDERAL WORKER PAY (AND CONFERENCES):

The bill allows a 1 percent pay raise ordered by Obama to take effect in January. And the legacy of embarrassing spending scandals at federal agencies persist as Congress once again banned or put limits on certain conferences, official travel and some employee awards.

FOOD SAFETY (AND THE FDA)

There’s $2.589 billion for the Food and Drug Administration, a $37 million increase from last year. There’s $27 million in new funding for the Food Safety Modernization Act. The Food Safety and Inspection Service would receive $1.016 billion, a $5 million increase.

GUANTANAMO BAY:

Once again the Obama administration is banned from transferring terrorism detainees to the United States from the U.S. military facility in Cuba. There’s also a ban on building or buying any facility in the U.S. to house detainees. But the bill allows for the ongoing transfer of detainees to other countries.

HEROIN:

In a modest attempt to address a growing crisis with the illicit drug, lawmakers are adding $7 million for a new anti-heroin task force run out of the Justice Department’s COPS Office. The money will be used as part of a competitive grant program for drug enforcement, including investigations and operations to stop the distribution or sale of the drug, according to Democrats. Why

IMMIGRATION:

The bill only funds the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees most immigration policy, until February. But negotiators gave new money for immigration programs at other federal agencies. There’s $948 million for the Department of Health and Human Service’s unaccompanied children program — an $80 million increase. The program provides health and education services to the young migrants. The department also gets $14 million to help school districts absorbing new immigrant students. And the State Department would get $260 million to assist Central American countries from where of the immigrant children are coming. Why

INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE:

One of the GOP’s favorite targets will see its budget slashed by $345.6 million. The nation’s tax agency also would be banned from targeting organizations seeking tax-exempt status based on their ideological beliefs.

ISRAEL:

There’s $3.1 billion in total aid for the country plus $619.8 million in defense aid.

JOE BIDEN:

The legislation once again enacts a pay freeze for the vice president “and senior political appointees.”

LIBYA:

The troubled country cannot receive any U.S. aid until the secretary of state confirms the country is cooperating with ongoing investigations into the September 2012 attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

JORDAN:

The Arab kingdom would receive $1 billion in economic and military aid, in addition to U.S. humanitarian aid for millions of Syrian refugees. Why

LIGHT BULBS:

The bill once again prohibits new standards that would ban the use of cheaper, less energy efficient incandescent bulbs. The proposal was first introduced and set in motion by the Bush administration, but the Obama White House allowed the change to continue, despite sustained consumer demand for older bulbs.

MARIJUANA:

The District of Columbia will be prohibited from legalizing marijuana for the much of the coming year. The development — upending a voter-approved initiative — shocked elected D.C. leaders, advocates for marijuana legalization and civil liberties groups. The bill also would block the Justice Department from interfering with state-level medical marijuana measures and prohibits the Drug Enforcement Agency from interfering with industrial hemp production. Why

METRORAIL:

The D.C. region’s subway and bus system would earn $150 million in federal dollars for continued improvements. That’s part of $10.9 billion set to be doled out for transit programs nationwide, including the construction of new rail and rapid bus projects in California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Texas. But Republicans stress that the bill has no new federal funding for high-speed rail projects, especially the ambitious Los Angeles-to-San Francisco routes envisioned by California Democrats.

MILITARY PAY AND PERKS:

Military service members will receive a 1 percent pay increase next year. But there’s a pay freeze for generals and flag officers. The bill also ends a five percent discount on tobacco and tobacco-related products sold at military exchanges.

NATIONAL MUSEUM OF AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY:Why

The agreement includes $24 million to complete the federal government’s contribution to the new museum being built on the Mall. The rest of the money will be raised through private donations.

NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH:

The nation’s premier medical research agency would receive $30.3 billion, a $150 million overall increase. Democrats noted that the new funding helps especially for ongoing Alzheimer’s and brain research programs.

OFFICIAL PORTRAITS:

You’re a government official and want an official portrait? You’ll have to pay for it (or raise the funds). The bill bans taxpayer funding for official portraits of any Executive Branch employees, lawmakers and heads of legislative agencies.

OVERSEAS MILITARY OPERATIONS:

There’s $1.3 billion for a new Counterterrorism Partnership Fund; $5 billion for military operations to combat the Islamic State, including $1.6 billion to train Iraqi and Kurdish forces; $500 million for a Pentagon-led program to train and equip vetted Syrian opposition fighters; $810 million for ongoing military operations in Europe, including requirements that at least $175 million is spent in support of Ukraine and Baltic nations.

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY:

The bill stops assistance to the Palestinian Authority if it becomes a member of the United Nations or UN agencies without an agreement with Israel. It also prohibits funds for Hamas.

PENSIONS:

For the first time, the benefits of current retirees could be severely cut, part of an effort to save some of the nation’s most distressed pension plans. The change would alter 40 years of federal law and could affect millions of workers, many of them part of a shrinking corps of middle-income employees in businesses such as trucking, construction and supermarkets. Read more on this here.

U.S. POSTAL SERVICE:

You like your mail on Saturdays? You’ll keep your mail on Saturdays. The bill requires the mail service to continue six-day deliveries, despite a years-long attempt to cut back on service to save money.

POTATOES:

White potatoes, to be exact. The Women, Infants and Children program that provides food aid to low-income families would receive $6.6 billion, a $93 million cut from the last fiscal year. But the program will be required to ensure that “all varieties of fresh vegetables, including white potatoes, are eligible for purchase” through the program, said Republicans. The change is a big victory for the potato lobby, which has long fought to be part of the food assistance program.

RACE TO THE TOP:

The bill cuts funding for Obama’s signature education initiative — a big blow to his education legacy, according to The Post’s Valerie Strauss. Overall, the Education Department would take a slight hit in funding; at $70.5 billion, down $133 million below the fiscal year 2014, but special education grants to states would get $25 million more than last year, up to $11.5 billion. There is also no funding for the controversial Common Core State Standards in this legislation.

RAILROADS:

Among other things, there’s $3 million to expand inspections along the roughly 14,000 miles of track used by trains hauling oil tankers.

SAGE-GROUSE:

In a victory for the GOP, the bill would ban the Fish and Wildlife Service from adding the rare bird found in several Western states to the Endangered Species List. Republicans argue that adding the bird to the list “would have severe economic consequences on Western states and the nation’s efforts to become energy independent.” But there’s also $15 million for the Bureau of Land Management to conserve sage-grouse habitats.

SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM:

The school lunch nutritional changes sought by First Lady Michelle Obama take a hit. The bill allows more flexibility to school districts to implement new whole grain nutrition standards “if the school can demonstrate a hardship” when buying whole grain products, according to Republicans. The bill also relaxes new sodium standards until they are “supported by additional scientific studies.”

SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE MILITARY:

There’s $257 million for the Pentagon’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response programs, including $25 million more to expand the Sexual Assault Victims’ Counsel program. But Democrats, led by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), are expected to make a final push to expand the program this week.

TRUCKING:

In a victory for the trucking industry, the bill blocks new Transportation Department regulations requiring truckers to get two nights of sleep before starting a new work week. The regulation slashed a typical trucker’s work week to 70 hours, down from 82 hours.

UNITED NATIONS:

The perennial ban on providing money for the ongoing renovation of U.N. Headquarters in New York remains intact.

U.S. CAPITOL (AND RELATED AGENCIES):

There’s $21 million to continue restoring the cast-iron Capitol Dome. And $348 million for the U.S. Capitol Police (a force with 1,775 officers). Lawmakers also plan to save $10,000 by allowing the congressional Office of Compliance to email congressional staffers about their employment rights. Old rules required the office to send such notices by snail mail. Finally, for the first time the agency formerly known as the Government Printing Office is now officially known as the Government Publishing Office.

VETERANS:

After a year of embarrassing scandals at the sprawling Department of Veterans Affairs, lawmakers are making good on promises to provide more money and oversight. There’s a total of $159.1 billion in discretionary and mandatory spending. Of that, $209 million was added to address new costs related to the bipartisan veterans’ reform bill passed last summer. The legislation calls for adding medical staff and expanding dozens of facilities. In order to specifically addressing the “wait list” scandal, the VA’s inspector general is getting a $5 million budget increase to continue investigating lapses in patient care.

WHISTLEBLOWERS:

The bill includes language ensuring that government contractors are not barred from reporting allegations of waste, fraud or abuse if they sign a confidentiality agreement. And the Occupational Safety and Health Administration would receive a $500,000 increase for its enforcement of existing whistleblower laws.

WHITE HOUSE BUDGET:

There’s $222 million for executive mansion operations, a $10 million increase. The money pays for the National Security and Homeland Security councils, the Council of Economic Advisers, the vice president’s office and the executive residence. The bill doesn’t provide any new funding “to address security weaknesses at the White House complex,” according to Democrats. But the U.S. Secret Service would be allowed to use some of its funding “to prepare and train for the next presidential election campaign,” Democrats said.

WOLVES:

Well, only if you’re attacked. There’s $1 million in the bill “to compensate ranchers for livestock killed by wolves.”Why

YUCCA MOUNTAIN:

There’s no new money for the site, but current money for it must be spent pursuant to a recent court decision. Republicans say that the bill continues to leave open the possibility that the site could be used someday to store nuclear waste — but that won’t happen as long as Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) is around.

“WE DESERVE IT” MENTALITY: America as Nation of Whiners

MId Term drawing

flyer 4We hear the term “we deserve it” so much these days that it’s barely a blip on our mind’s radar. From the recent hamburger flippers demanding $10.00 per hour because, after all, “we deserve it” – which, by the way… no you don’t — just about everyone these days thinks they are entitled. The pendulum swings 180 degrees, from the welfare leaching baby mamas who think they are entitled to your earned money for their bad choices in life… to the plastic surgeons’ Barbie dolls endowed with bionic boobs, that go looking for love in all the wrong places, who think because of the money invested in their bodies that they are entitled to Mr. Right – which. by the way… no you aren’t.

When did a privilege turn into a right? It seems — as usual — the “we deserve it” movement started with liberal government whispering into the ears of the easily mislead. “You deserve it” has become the liberal politicians mantra. Usually used in an attempt to stir up strife, intending for those “less fortunate” to project their jealousy and resentment towards people with money. Yet, in all reality, it’s the middle class –not the rich — who ends up the receptor of this ire. Which inevitably translates into votes from the “we deserve it” – your money– for more liberal policies, further pushing the same middle-class heads further under the water.

Take a look at colleges, which for hundreds of years were mostly “Ivy League”. (The term “Ivy League” has connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism.) Around WWII the influx of affordable smaller colleges and junior colleges really took off in and around the country. Up until then, millions were still on farms and ranches working the family business. Everyone else was expected to get a J.O.B… and many took whatever job they could find.

Yet, presently, college is thought of as a right, because after all, we deserve it…Says who? And why is government, via our tax dollars, subsidizing all the crybabies? (I am not referring to our combat veterans attending college, who do deserve all and more, but that’s another article.) Crybabies who can now take “credited” classes on writing rap music, yoga…WTH?

I remember when getting a driver’s license was a privilege and it still is, it is not a right. When something, anything is viewed as a privilege versus a right, respect is born. Nothing wrong with expecting good, we should… God gives us good things (James 1:17) Good does not come at the expense of others.

Side note: I received this flyer (pic above) in the mail. Obviously I was racially profiled, being that Allen is my last name, a name associated mostly with black people. I got this Democrat lie. It promises $20.00 an hour minimum wage, if you vote DemoCRAP!!!! Yep, and it comes with a mule, too!

Said flyer also talks about evil global warming, boo hiss! And wants to legalize drugs, Pookie will be happy.

Democrats: Vote or we’ll kick your ass

The New York State Democratic Committee is bullying people into voting next week with intimidating letters warning that it can easily find out which slackers fail to cast a ballot next Tuesday.

“Who you vote for is your secret. But whether or not you vote is public record,” the letter says.

“We will be reviewing voting records . . . to determine whether you joined your neighbors who voted in 2014.”

It ends with a line better suited to a mob movie than a major political party: “If you do not vote this year, we will be interested to hear why not.”

The letter and accompanying post card was criticized even by party members, with one Democratic consultant saying it was the wrong way to inspire votes.

“It’s a threatening letter. It’s a scare piece that is unnecessary and inappropriate,” the insider said.

Brooklyn and Manhattan residents who received the note Wednesday were furious, calling it an attempt to browbeat them into showing up at the polls.

“I’m outraged. Whether I vote or not is none of your business!” said a Manhattan voter, who was so incensed that she complained to a local Democratic leader.

“The letter is ludicrous and menacing,” said the voter, who requested anonymity.Pointing finger

The woman also received a report card of her voting record, pointing out that she had failed to vote in two of the last four elections.

Overall, the notices were sent out to 1 million registered Democrats who had failed to vote in previous midterm elections, according to the group.

The committee — chaired by former Gov. David Paterson — defended the scare tactic, calling it standard practice throughout the country.

“This flier is part of the nationwide Democratic response to traditional Republican voter-suppression efforts, because Democrats believe our democracy works better when more people vote, not less,” said Peter Kauffmann, a committee spokesman.

“The difference between Democrats and Republicans is they don’t want people to vote and we want everyone to vote.”Obama Big Brother 02

Paterson declined to comment.

The mailer has a phone number on it that goes to Election Protection, a nonpartisan voting organization.

The organization said it had received a “significant” number of calls about the letter.

Such attempts to shame people to vote — what politicos call “social pressure” or peer pressure — has become more common place and was used by the Obama campaign in 2012, sources said.

A Yale University study in 2008 found that voter participation increased substantially after lazy voters received letters telling them their spotty voting history was a public record that would be scrutinized.

The notice includes a “vote report card” rating New Yorkers’ voting records as “excellent,” “good,” “fair” or “incomplete.”

“Many organizations monitor turnout in your neighborhood and are disappointed by the inconsistent voting of many of your neighbors,” it says.Freedom is not dictator friendly

The letter came a week before heavily favored Democratic Gov. Cuomo faces off against Republican Rob Astorino.

Cuomo was not behind the shame letters, party sources insisted.

But Astorino scoffed, “Andrew Cuomo’s thuggish tactics just crossed the line into creepy territory . . . Threatening and intimidating people is not how honorable elected leaders operate.”

Could this be the Democratic strategy for the next two years?

Ballot-2014

On Facebook this morning, Glenn shared some thoughts on the midterms and presents a cause of deaththeory for how the next two years could go. Is a GOP victory next Tuesday a good thing? Or does it matter at all? Read the below from Glenn for his thoughts

Hola Señorita Hillary. A terrifying scenario come to me this am that I believe it right. If it is, it does mean the end of the republic as we know it.

The Democrats would love to win sure, but let the GOP have the House and Senate. Because the president is going to sign the amnesty order, Congress will go nuts (to a point) and the Democrats will win in the long run.

Mark my words, as the president uses the executive order, a huge media campaign that “humanizes” the illegal will be everywhere. (Interesting how we are dehumanizing babies and the Palin’s at the same time). The campaign will be complete and overwhelming. People will say: “How can you not let them in? You just hate people who are different?” We will no longer be able to talk about facts.

The GOP will then give up the fight, the president will win, the Democrats never really had to pick a side and the States Formal Sacred Cow of Policital CorrectnessRepublicans are remembered as racists.

So yippie, go Republicans!

My predictions are pretty accurate just never with the timing right. So maybe this doesn’t happen early next year, but it will. (I think it will because it stops the GOP from being able to control the agenda at all. They will only be able to do this and nothing else. No reform, no hearings, no nothing.)

Who will be the lame duck?

Say hello to President Hillary.

KerrySpacesuitI’m getting very excited to see all the victories Tuesday night!
Check it out:

The New York Times has a story today about the absolute state of disarray the Regime is. And they even describe — are you ready for this? The New York Times quotes somebody describing the Secretary of State John Kerry as spinning and floating out of control like Sandra Bullock did in that astronaut character she played in the movie Gravity.

They really portray Kerry as not knowing what’s going on and just floating, wandering aimlessly from issue to issue in a genuine clueless state. The story is about how Obama may have to replace some of the people in the Regime because they’re so incompetent.

The AP today: “Dems Rush to Save Suddenly Vulnerable Incumbents — Desperate Democrats are rushing to save suddenly vulnerable House incumbents, even in states where President Barack Obama cruised to double-digit victories, amid fresh signs of Republican momentum less than a week before the midterm elections.

Suddenly? Suddenly vulnerable? There’s been no reason for any recent shifts in the polling. No, the Democrats and their media minions are now just having to admit to reality, see, because what they’ve done, basically, they’ve lied to us for so many months to boost fundraising and early voting. And now all of a sudden it looks like some Democrats are vulnerable, when in truth they’ve been vulnerable for the past two years. But to the media, oh, no, it’s sudden.

The Democrats suddenly have to worry about the three most liberal states in the union: New York, California, and Hawaii. And all of whom, by the way, just happen to have implemented various levels of quarantines on returning Ebola workers. But, regardless, “The once friendly terrain of New York, California, Obama’s native state of Hawaii and adopted state of Illinois all now pose stiff challenges to Democrats who are determined to limit their losses next Tuesday.”

Democrats are more afraid of global warming than the threat posed by the Islamic State terrorists, according to a new Pew Research Center poll.

The poll shows that 68 percent of Democrats believe that global climate change is a major threat to the United States, compared to just 25 percent of Republicans.

In contrast, 65 percent of Democrats believe that ISIS is a major threat, three points less than climate change. Seventy-eight percent of Republicans cited ISIS as a major threat -+ a partisan difference of 13 points.

Eighty percent of Republicans also cite “Islamic extremist groups like al Qaeda” as a major threat to the United States compared to 69 percent of Democrats.

Republicans also trump Democrats in citing North Korea’s nuclear program, China’s emergence as a world power, Iran’s nuclear program, and the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians as a threat to the United States.

The only threat that both parties agree on is the growing tensions between Russia and its neighbors, cited by both at 54 percent.

Democrats File Bill to “Overturn” Supreme Court Decision Protecting Hobby Lobby

National Day of Protest with datehttp://www.lifenews.com/2014/07/09/democrats-file-bill-to-overturn-supreme-court-decision-protecting-hobby-lobby/

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 7/9/14America the movie with hyperlink

As promised, Senate Democrats filed legislation today to “overturn” the Supreme Court’s decision protecting Hobby Lobby and other companies from being forced to comply with the HHS mandate that compels them to pay for abortion-causing drugs for their employees.

The Supreme Court ruled that the Christian-run Hobby Lobby doesn’t have to obey the HHS mandate that is a part of Obamacare. The high court issued a favorable ruling in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a landmark case addressing the Constitutionally guaranteed rights of business owners to operate their family companies without violating their deeply held religious convictions.

The court ruled that the contraception mandate violated the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act, a 1993 law and it held that the mandate “substantially burdens the exercise of religion” and that HHS didn’t use the “least restrictive means” to promote this government interest, tests required by RFRA.hobbylobby6

“HHS’s contraception mandate substantially burdens the exercise of religion,” the decision reads, adding that the “decision concerns only the contraceptive mandate and should not be understood to mean that all insurance mandates.” The opinion said the “plain terms of Religious Freedom Restoration Act” are “perfectly clear.”

Now, Senate Democrats want to change the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act in a way that would force companies to pay for birth control, contraception and those abortion-causing drugs.scotus decision

Senators Mark Udall (D-Colo.) and Patty Murray (D-Wash.), both abortion advocates, are behind the new legislation and Truth The New Hate Speechthey said, “The Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act would ban employers from refusing to provide health coverage — including contraceptive coverage — guaranteed to their employees and dependents under federal law.”

“After five justices decided last week that an employer’s personal views can interfere with women’s access to essential health services, we in Congress need to act quickly to right this wrong,” Murray said. “This bicameral legislation will ensure that no CEO or corporation can come between people and their guaranteed access to health care, period. I hope Republicans will join us to revoke this court-issued license to discriminate and return the right of Americans to make their own decisions, about their own health care and their own bodies.”

life

Not one Senate Republican has signed on to the legislation, which pro-life groups will undoubtedly strenuously oppose. House Republicans will not take up the bill, making it so the legislation will not reach President Barack Obama, an abortion advocate who would sign it into law.

In their ruling, the Supreme Court indicated Congress could change the law to require businesses t pay for the birth control and abortion drugs.

“There are other ways in which Congress or HHS could equally ensure that every woman has cost-free access to the particular contraceptives at issue here and, indeed, to all FDA-approved contraceptives,” the opinion concluded.

“The plain terms of RFRA make it perfectly clear that Congress did not discriminate in this way against men and women who wish to run their businesses as for-profit corporations in the manner required by their religious beliefs,” read the opinion.

muslim

Chief Justice John Roberts, Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Anthony Kennedy joined in the majority decision. Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor dissented.

Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote a concurring opinion saying that government itself could provide the coverage for contraception and the abortion-causing drugs if a company declines to do so.

But, Americans oppose the HHS mandate and its pro-abortion requirements.

A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Americans agree with the Supreme Court’s decision this week that the Christian-run Hobby Lobby doesn’t have to obey the HHS mandate that is a part of Obamacare that requires businesses to pay for abortion causing drugs in their employee health care plans.

“Half of voters agree with the U.S. Supreme Court that a business owner should be able to opt out of Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate if it violates his or her religious beliefs,” the poling firm reports about its new national survey.

A December 2013 Rasmussen Reports poll shows Americans disagree with forcing companies like Hobby Lobby to obey the mandate.

“Half of voters now oppose a government requirement that employers provide health insurance with free National death rate percentagescontraceptives for their female employees,” Rasmussen reports.

The poll found: “The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 38% of Likely U.S. Voters still believe businesses should be required by law to provide health insurance that covers all government-approved contraceptives for women without co-payments or other charges to the patient.

Fifty-one percent (51%) disagree and say employers should not be required to provide health insurance with this type of coverage. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure.”

Another recent poll found 59 percent of Americans disagree with the mandate

These “11 Types of Liberals” are the worst liberals there are…

http://youngcons.com/these-11-types-of-liberals-are-the-worst-liberals-there-are/#.U2gBbtBJe7U.facebook

1. The “Holier Than Thou” liberal.

This is the liberal that thinks they have the moral high ground. “Hey, look at me! I am a liberal and I care about poor people.” This liberal never donates money to charity or volunteers their time, but they support welfare, so they care about poor people, or something.

2. The “Pro-Choice” liberal

This liberal defines themselves by being pro-choice. Ironically, the only choice they believe in is the choice to be able to kill an unborn baby. This liberal doesn’t think you should be able to choose to own a gun, buy a light bulb, or a large slurpee, but they still have the stones to say they are “pro-choice”.

3. The “Anti Death-Penalty” liberal

This liberal is good friends with the pro-choice liberal. They think that murderers and rapists on death row shouldn’t be killed, only the innocent unborn babies.

4. The “Oil Companies Are Evil” liberal

This liberal hates oil companies. Obviously, this liberal loves driving in their car, flying in planes, eating at restaurants that get their food from delivery trucks, etc. You would think they love oil companies because of how much taxes they pay.

exxon

5. The “Conservatives Are Racist” Liberal

This liberal hates conservatives because they are racist. Why are conservatives racist? Because Obama, Al Sharpton, and MSNBC told them so. This liberal believes in affirmative action, a policy that says minorities are too stupid to succeed without help. This liberal is also against voter ID laws because they think minorities aren’t smart enough to figure out how to get an ID.

6. The “Anti-War” liberal

This liberal thinks we shouldn’t have gone into Iraq or Afghanistan. This liberal changed their tune once Obama was president, obviously.

7. The “War on Women” liberal

This liberal thinks the world, and by world I mean conservatives, are out to get women. This liberal stands up and does there happy dance when Obama says women make 77 cents for every dollar earned by men, even though that myth has been debunked time and time again.

8. The “Jesus Was A Socialist” Liberal

Jesus did promote charitable giving on behalf of individuals through voluntary actions, not as a secular and spiritless exercise of government through forced taxation. Naturally, this liberal ignores the fact that Joe Biden and his wife gave 0.2% to charity for an entire decade, and that Barack Obama gave less than 1% to charity from 2000 to 2004. This liberal only loves helping the poor if they’re using other people’s money.

Moreover, helping poor people means being pro-capitalism. Nothing raises the standard of living of poor people better than a free market economy.

This liberal literally spends their time trying to figure out how to make cows fart less to stop global warming. This liberal said in 2007 that global warming will make the arctic ice free by 2013. Of course, in 2013 the polar ice caps grew by 60%.

Rich Obama Donor Kicks Girlfriend 117 Times; Wait Until You See His Sentence

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/24/rich-obama-donor-kicks-girlfriend-117-times-wait-until-you-see-his-sentence/

Gurbaksh Chahal with Democrat President Barack Obama

Major Democrat and Obama campaign donor Gurbaksh Chahal, the CEO of San Francisco based tech startup RadiumOne, was caught on camera brutally beating his girlfriend, including kicking her 117 times, sometimes to the head. The liberal Democrat also threatened several times to murder his girlfriend, according to police reports.

His sentence for the brutal assault? Chahal received an extremely light tap on the wrist, only 25 days of community service and no jail time, according to the Daily Mail, which also reports that Chahal attempted to smother his girlfriend during the beating.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, progressive Chahal has contributed over $100,000 since 2011, all to Democrats, and that he visited Obama personally in 2011, and the First Lady at the White House in 2012.

Obama Calls for Highest Sustained Taxation in U.S. History

“Anti-Christ” President Barack Obama

(AP Photo)

(CNSNews.com) – In the budget proposal he presented to Congress last month, President Barack Obama called for what would be the highest level of sustained taxation ever imposed on the American people, according to the analysis published last week by the Congressional Budget Office.

Under Obama’s proposal;

 • taxes would rise from 17.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product in 2014 to 19.2 percent in 2024.
 • During the ten years from 2015 to 2024, federal taxation would average 18.7 percent GDP.

America has never been subjected to a ten-year stretch of taxation at that level.

Highest Sustained Taxes

In the twelve fiscal years preceding the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor (1930 through 1941), federal taxation averaged 5.3 percent of GDP.

In the five fiscal years encompassing U.S. involvement in World War II (1942 through 1946), federal taxation averaged 16.1 percent of GDP.

In the fiscal years since World War II (1947 through 2013), federal taxation has averaged 17.1 percent of GDP.

In the period from fiscal 1992 through 2001, federal taxes averaged 18.3 percent of GDP. But in the last four years of that period (1998 through 2001), the federal budget was in balance.

In the twelve fiscal years from 2002 through 2013, federal taxes averaged 16.1 percent of GDP—the same that they averaged during World War II. However, the federal government ran deficits in each of those twelve years.

In all ten years from 2015 through 2024, under Obama’s proposal, federal taxes would be higher than 18.3 percent of GDP. During the period of 1992 through 2011, there were only five straight years (1997-2001) when federal taxes were higher than 18.3 percent of GDP.

Under Obama’s budget proposal, according to the CBO, the budget will never balance. But over the next ten years, the federal government would add $7.183 trillion to its debt held by the public.

Debt Held by Public

While adding that $7.183 trillion to the debt held by the public, Obama would increase taxes by $1.4 trillion, said the CBO report.

Community Organizer Two

“The President’s budget would make a number of changes to the tax law,” said the report. “If enacted, those changes would boost revenues by $32 billion in 2015, and by $1.4 trillion, or about 3 percent, during the 2015-2024 period.”

Testing backlog in Detroit reportedly allows serial rapists to stay free

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/04/21/testing-backlog-in-detroit-reportedly-allows-serial-rapists-to-stay-free/

A published report says a backlog in testing thousands of Detroit rape evidence kits has allowed serial rapists to remain free and in some cases commit more attacks.

The Detroit Free Press on Monday published an update about efforts to test the kits, which were recovered in 2009 from a Detroit police storage facility. They contain DNA and other evidence, but a majority of the 11,000 kits weren’t tested in a lab.

Officials say about 2,000 have undergone DNA testing. The rest are expected to be tested this year after $4 million was earmarked by the state.

The newspaper cited one case where a man attacked a woman in 2006. Prosecutors say a rape kit tested six years later linked him to several other 2011 rape cases.

“Yep! The Democraps are doing a bang up job running Detroit. Let’s make sure we keep the Socialist in power.”

” THEIR WAR ON WOMEN IS DOING GREAT!”

WE MUST NEVER FORGET

Who died before they collected Social Security?

THIS IS SURE SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT! THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE GOVERNMENT’S CALCULATION OF AVAILABLE SOCIAL SECURITY IS THEY FORGOT TO FIGURE IN THE PEOPLE WHO DIED BEFORE THEY EVER COLLECTED A SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK! WHERE DID THAT MONEY GO?

Remember, not only did you and I contribute to Social Security but your employer did, too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only $30K over your working life, that’s close to $220,500. Read that again. Did you see where the Government paid in one single penny? We are talking about the money you and your employer put in a Government bank to insure you and me that we would have a retirement check from the money we put in, not the Government.

Now they are calling the money we put in an entitlement when we reach the age to take it back. If you calculate the future invested value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer’s contribution) at a simple 5% interest (less than what the Government pays on the money that it borrows). After 49 years of working you’d have $892,919.98. If you took out only 3% per year, you’d receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years (until you’re 95 if you retire at age 65) and that’s with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you’d have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month.

THE FOLKS IN WASHINGTON HAVE PULLED OFF A BIGGER PONZI SCHEME THAN BERNIE MADOFF EVER DID.

Entitlement my foot; I paid cash for my social security insurance! Just because they borrowed the money for other government spending, doesn’t make my benefits some kind of charity or handout! Remember;

 • Congressional benefits?

 • Free healthcare?

 • Outrageous retirement packages?

 • 67 paid holidays?

 • Three weeks paid vacation?

 • Unlimited paid sick days?

Now that’s welfare, and they have the nerve to call my social security retirement payments entitlements? They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives, and now, when it’s time for us to collect, the government is running out of money.

Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

It was supposed to be in a locked box, not part of the general fund.

Hypocrisy will be the true Obama legacy

Never before in the history of our nation has the population been so divided along economic lines. Wealth envy and class warfare are tearing a nation that once believed in hard work, sacrifice and personal responsibility, into one where wealth redistribution is not only promised, but demanded by those who have learned to play the system. Leading from behind on this issue is President Obama. He has gone to great lengths to convince millions of gullible Americans that the nation only works for rich people and that the rich are systematically oppressing the poor. Never from President Obama do you hear about the success stories that made this nation the most prosperous on earth, nor do you ever hear important messages concerning the issue of taking responsibility for yourself. Instead he fans the flames of the so called “have not’s” in order to keep a support base which demands he implement “social change” in the name of total equality. One would not be too far off arguing that he is truly putting the infamous “Cloward and Piven” plan in motion.

Community Organizer Two

While the president continues to play the class warfare game, little attention is paid to the fact that he is among the rich that he convinces his loyal followers to hate. The president’s net worth is estimated to be 11.8 million dollars. Its claimed that the president amassed this wealth through the sales of his two books, “Dreams of my Father” and “The Audacity of Hope.” Perhaps, though they really are not that good and have since been discredited as it appears weather underground terrorist Bill Ayers wrote at least one of them. Personally, I don’t have a problem with Obama’s net worth, not until he starts playing his class envy, identity politics games anyway. (Though, it should be noted that democrats that typically push class envy are among the richest in government.) The fact is that the president’s annual salary is $400,000.00, which means as president, Obama has made roughly two million. It would be interesting to see how the president is earning the rest of that money.

Given the net worth of the Obama family and the fact that they are constantly fanning the flames of financial discontent, is it any wonder the nation finds itself outraged by Michelle Obama’s latest, lavish Chinese vacation? Flying on a government aircraft with her two daughters and mother, Mrs. Obama is spending tax payer money to flatter the Chinese with her presence, while her husband continues to call everyday Americans who are struggling to make a living, greedy and selfish for not wanting their taxes raised, or, for opposing obamacare. (Lowercase o on purpose) This blatant hypocrisy will be the true legacy of the Obama presidency as everything the man has involved himself in has been nothing but smooth double talk from a master of Chicago style hard ball politics. The real slap in the face comes with the knowledge that Queen Michelle will not only spend someone else’s money on her illustrious vacations, but she has the audacity to tell the press they can’t interview her while doing so. Just who do these people think they are?

Almost 4 in 5 Believe Proof of Citizenship Should be Required to Vote

Voter ID

In a blow to the Democrat Party and the Obama regime, who are against presenting any form of identification prior to voting, and in fact call the practice somehow racist, a new Rasmussen Reports national poll finds that 78% of likely U.S. voters believe that proof of citizenship should be required to be presented prior to voting.

In the survey, only 19% oppose the requirement to present proof of citizenship. Rasmussen points out that the number in favor of the requirement is on the rise. Last year, 71% were in favor of the requirement.

Just last month, Obama Vice President, Democrat Joe Biden, equated laws requiring voter identification to “hatred.”

25) Seniors love getting junk mail. It’s sometimes their only way of communicating or feeling like they’re part of the real world. — Harry Reid

24)The number one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S. — Joe Biden

23) I took a poo in the woods hunched over like an animal. It was awesome. — Drew Barrymore

22) Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama cannot win, and they are put in place to assure a victory by Mitt Romney… this is the plan of all the insurance companies that are owned by Mormon interests. It is unfolding as the Mormon Church planned over the last fifty years. —Roseanne Barr

21) I do believe that it’s the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics that World Trade Center tower 7 — building 7, which collapsed in on itself — it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. World Trade Center 7. World Trade [Center] 1 and 2 got hit by planes — 7, miraculously, the first time in history, steel was melted by fire. It is physically impossible. — Rosie O’Donnell talks Trutherism

20) Isn’t it a little racist to call it Black Friday? — Joy Behar

19) A good place to start a more civil dialog would be for my Republican colleagues in the House to change the name of the bill they have introduced to repeal health care reform. The bill, titled the “Repeal the Job Killing Health Care Law Act,” was set to come up for a vote this week, but in the wake of Gabby’s shooting, it has been postponed at least until next week. Don’t get me wrong — I’m not suggesting that the name of that one piece of legislation somehow led to the horror of this weekend — but is it really necessary to put the word “killing” in the title of a major piece of legislation? — Chellie Pingree, Congresswoman (D-ME)

18) The Republican Party is saying that the President of the United States has bosses, that the union bosses this President around, the unions boss him around. Does that sound to you like they are trying to consciously or subconsciously deliver the racist message that, of course, of course a black man can’t be the real boss? — Lawrence O’Donnell

17) Herman Cain is probably well-liked by some of the Republicans because it hides the racist elements of the Republican Party, conservative movement and tea party movement. People like Karl Rove like to keep the racism very covert and so Herman Cain provides this great opportunity so he can say, ‘Look: This is not a racist anti-immigrant, anti-female, anti-gay movement. Look: We have a black man.’ And look he’s polling well and he won a straw poll. — Janeane Garofalo

16) If we want to keep our reproductive rights, we must be willing to tell our stories, to be willing and able to say, “I love my life, but I wish my mother had aborted me.” — Lynn Beisner, the Guardian

14) Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them. — Mary Frances Berry, former Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights

13) Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’ The answer is yes, that’s what I’m telling you. — Joe Biden

12) Those flowers were picked by illegal immigrants. And they’re not voting for you, b*tch. — Joy Behar after receiving flowers from Sharon Angle

11) During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. — Al Gore

10) Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs. — Nancy Pelosi

9) Watching both the health care and climate/energy debates in Congress, it is hard not to draw the following conclusion: There is only one thing worse than one-party autocracy, and that is one-party democracy, which is what we have in America today. One-party autocracy certainly has its drawbacks. But when it is led by a reasonably enlightened group of people, as China is today, it can also have great advantages. — Thomas Friedman

8) I root for hurricanes. When, courtesy of the Weather Channel, I see one forming in the ocean off the coast of Africa, I find myself longing for it to become big and strong–Mother Nature’s fist of fury, Gaia’s stern rebuke. Considering the havoc mankind has wreaked upon nature with deforesting, stripmining, and the destruction of animal habitat, it only seems fair that nature get some of its own back and teach us that there are forces greater than our own. — James Wolcott, Vanity Fair

7) Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. — Barack Obama

6) The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied. — Jeremiah Wright

5) How do we know when someone like Hasan is going to make his move and do we know he’s an Islamist until he’s made his move? He makes a phone call or whatever, according to Reuters right now. Apparently he tried to contact al-Qaida. Is that the point at which you say, “This guy is dangerous?” That’s not a crime to call up al-Qaida, is it? Is it? I mean, where do you stop the guy? — Chris Matthews

4) The medical term for Down Syndrome is Trisomy-21 or Trisomy-g. It is often shortened in medical slang to Tri-g. Is it not perfectly possible that the very name given to this poor child, being reared by Bristol, is another form of mockery of his condition, along with the “retarded baby” tag? And does the way in which this poor child was hauled around the country on a book tour, being dragged out in front of flash photographs in the middle of the night, barely clothed, suggest someone who actually cares for children with special needs, or rather sees them as a way to keep the spotlight on her? — Andrew Sullivan

3) I propose a limitation be put on how many sqares [sic] of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don’t want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required. — Sheryl Crow at the Huffington Post

2) Had a powerful meditation just now — caused an earthquake in Southern California. …Was meditating on Shiva mantra & earth began to shake. Sorry about that. —Deepak Chopra thinks his meditation can cause earthquakes

Muslims Demanding Their Own Sharia Patrols in Michigan

http://wizbangblog.com/2014/02/22/muslims-demanding-their-own-sharia-patrols-in-michigan/

February 22, 2014

During the public comment time at the Dearborn city council meeting, a Muslim stood to demand that the city institute sharia patrols to keep young people out of parks and to prevent the sale of “offensive” magazines in stores.

The man named Hassan took his place in line during the public comments and when it was his turn to speak he prefaced his comments with loud chanting of Islamic prayers. He then went on to demand that the city begin patrols of the parks because people used them for “sexual activities.”

The Muslim would not tell the council where he lived claiming he feared for the safety of his family but said he lived near Westland.

As reported, “Hassan also stated that there were magazines and newspapers at the public libraries and civic center that can ’cause colossal damage to a child’s health,’ asking the city to review and monitor literature before they are distributed.”

So, Mr. Hassan wants sharia compliant patrols to prevent people from using parks and he wants the city to perpetrate sharia compliant censorship at libraries.

Fortunately, the city council shot down Hassan’s demands. This time.

But this is how we begin to lose our nation to invading Islam just as it has happened in Europe, Britain, and elsewhere. Muslims use our own system against us, using democracy to destroy democracy.

First they have a few people complain at a public meeting. Next they have a dozen. Then they shame the government to concede in a few demands. Next they demand more and government gives them, more. Then they are allowed their own enclaves where they have full power and can ignore the rule of law (this has happened in Britain). Then they branch out from their enclaves and begin to force other areas to observe their medieval rule.

Be ware of this, America. Sharia is coming if these Muslims have any say at all over it. Sharia is un-American, anti-democratic, anathema to freedom and liberty and it must be stopped.

Obama offers to help Democrats by staying away

http://nypost.com/2014/02/07/obama-offers-to-help-democrats-by-not-campaigning-for-them/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_source=NYPTwitter&utm_medium=SocialFlow

By Geoff Earle

February 7, 2014 | 4:43am

WASHINGTON — President Obama is offering to help Senate Democrats get re-elected — by staying as far away as possible.

The president broached the sensitive topic of his political toxicity in some parts of the nation during a meeting with the Senate Democratic conference Wednesday.

“He said he knew he is not popular in some of the states, so he would not be offended if he were not invited to visit them this year,” one senator later confided to The Washington Post.

Several vulnerable lawmakers — including those in Louisiana and North Carolina — have already been shunning the president in their home states.

Other Democratic senators facing strong challengers are running against unpopular elements of ObamaCare.

One senator close to Obama explained the dynamic at work.

“This ultimately is about every member wanting to represent their state, and frankly, the outside help is of limited value anyway,” Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) told The Post.

“Voters make up their mind based on the candidates in front of them, not on who else in their party shows up to campaign on their behalf,” she insisted.

“When I first ran for the Senate in Missouri, I asked Ted Kennedy and Chuck Schumer to stay away,” she added.

Summing up the White House position, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), former head of the Democratic National Committee, said:

“They want to be helpful. So whatever folks think will be helpful is what they want to do — and they don’t want to do things that folks think will not be helpful.”

The Democrats hold a six-seat majority in the Senate. But retirements and tight races on unfriendly turf this year have left control of the chamber up in the air.

With Obama declaring himself radioactive in some areas, that leaves a small number of big-name Democrats who could step in.

A Senate Democratic aide said party members are “confident” ex-President Bill Clinton will help raise funds and campaign for Democratic contenders.

First Lady Michelle Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Vice President Joe Biden each could also hit the trail to assist.

“It’s not unusual for a president to be in this much trouble after six years. But I don’t remember a president ever saying that,” said Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), referring to Obama’s explicit offer to stay away.

Obscene: Dems Abort Veterans’ Benefits–Illegal Aliens’ Welfare Stays

http://clashdaily.com/2013/12/obscene-dems-abort-veterans-benefits-favor-illegal-aliens-welfare/#KPVzH6sGOr2bfSxL.99

By / 22 December 2013

threegrunts

In what has to be one of the cruelest Christmas season gestures that America’s veteran families could ever expect, U.S. Senate Democrats traded veterans service for illegal immigrant payday. This is exactly what Democrats did when they sided with giving Illegal aliens continued access to welfare payments over giving veterans cost of living benefits to the tune of $6.2 billion dollars.

This was done over the clear protests of many veteran groups as well as Republican Senators like Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions who strongly objected to the immoral veteran benefits cuts, according to Fox News. The fact that this so-called budget remedy was even suggested in the joint agreement arrived at by Congressman Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, and Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray, defies commonsense.

How could either of the two legislative leaders even come to the conclusion that veteran benefits, especially those of wounded and disabled veterans, should even be on the table for negotiation is more than an oversight. According to Fox News, Sessions was disappointed and wanted a “legislative fix,” that would have provided a more balanced approach to the alleged budget deal.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ignored the repair to the affront to America’s veterans and continued to allow the provision of improper and illegal tax credits to go to illegal aliens. The fact that these criminals on U.S. soil are receiving, according to the Internal Revenue Service watchdog, an estimated $4.2 billion annually in refundable credits, or $40 billion plus over a ten year period, is itself criminal.

To add insult to injury, the veterans who have returned back home after service have seen the Obama administration Veteran’s Affairs Department substantially increase their waiting time to receive the benefits returning veterans are legally entitled to. According to the Center for Investigative Reporting, veterans have seen the wait time for justified benefits balloon to 273 days, and even as long as 327 days.

It gets dramatically worse. For, American veterans who had to wait to receive benefits for longer than a year, have seen their ranks swell from 11,000 in Obama’s first year as president in 2009 to 245,000 in December of 2012, suggests the Center for Investigative Reporting.

So where is the hue and cry for the nation’s heroes that placed their lives on the line to protect the lives and freedoms of Americans? Certainly there is no hue and cry coming from the White House. Instead there have been complaints by Obama about how unfair it has been to allow illegal aliens to have to be subjected to America’s laws about being a citizen before they can take advantage of college education, welfare benefits, voting, driver’s licenses, etc. ; privileges Americans have and enjoy.

So this Christmas season there is no feel good spirit in the homes of millions of American veterans that have yet again seen their sacrifice and service reduced to insulting and compassionless treatment by senate Democrats and a president who sees nothing wrong in shafting heroes at home or leaving them defenseless on the field of battle abroad or in Benghazi.

Some Merry Christmas, indeed!

Barack Obama Wants His Name Off of Obamacare

http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/11/barack-obama-wants-name-obamacare/#ixzz2lJbaJBZH

Anyone who has ever bought a car knows about “sticker shock.” You’ve eyed that car on the dealership lot from afar. Finally, the time is right to take a test drive then seal the deal to make that purchase. However, the price on the sticker is more than enough to send you into hyperventilation fits as you try to convince yourself the sticker price is wrong. Well, Mr. Obama and his band of merry Democrats are currently suffering “Obamacare shock.” Yes, they knew millions of Americans would lose their healthcare insurance and many would not be able to keep their doctor. It was obvious to those who analyzed the effects of Obamacare that healthcare insurance premiums would increase on most Americans who would be forced into the exchanges, along with other abominations that have yet to gain the attention of the public. So, why are Mr. Obama and his Democrats experiencing “Obamacare shock?”

obama-national-securityThe law’s namesake and Democrats in Congress are shocked at the reaction of Americans to Obamacare after its implementation. Just as the Congress passed this law so they could find out what’s in it, many Americans reserved their judgment of the government healthcare insurance law until after its roll-out. Millions of Americans received cancellation notices from their healthcare insurance providers while the government website for enrollment into Obamacare was, in the most pleasant of terms, inoperative. Those who were able to access the new Obamacare exchanges were hit with higher premiums, deductibles, and some discovered they were ineligible to receive a subsidy to offset the increased cost. The result is Americans who originally supported Obamacare have now jumped ship, previously insured Americans will now be uninsured, and those Americans the law targeted will continue to be uninsured. Add to this equation the dismal numbers of Americans who have actually accessed the exchanges and the emerging picture of “failure” becomes clear.

Now, some Democrats, who previously supported this monstrosity, have begun to distance themselves from the disaster using many different tactics ranging from blaming the Republicans, dropping the affectionate designation “Obamacare,” to calling for complete repeal. Obama has entered damage control mode, but his goal of a single payer system is still the brass ring he strives to reach. In his latest attempt to soothe the masses, Obama has indicated his signature healthcare law needs “a full-blown rebranding effort.” Once again, Obama hits the campaign trail in public relations gear attempting to remarket a product that is more than defective – it’s totally broken.

At a meeting in Washington, hosted by the Wall Street Journal, Obama told attendees, “I am confident that the model we’ve built, which works off the existing private insurance system, is one that will succeed. We’re going to have to, A., fix the website so everybody feels confident about that. We’re obviously going to have to remarket and rebrand and that will be challenging in this political environment.”

Translation: “What we have is causing me grief; it’s not working so I want my name off of it.”

Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, and competitors.[1][2] Often, this involves radical changes to a brand’s logo, name, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate.

Rebranding can be applied to new products, mature products, or even products still in development. The process can occur intentionally through a deliberate change in strategy or occur unintentionally from unplanned, emergent situations, such as a “Chapter 11 corporate restructuring,” “union busting,” or “bankruptcy.”

Obama and a Democratic majority Senate and House decided that 30 million uninsured Americans needed to purchase healthcare insurance. They declared our healthcare system “broken” and passed Obamacare. These same politicians modeled Obamacare “off the existing private insurance system.” Now, due to the negative backlash, Obama has decided that a new marketing campaign and rebranding this atrocity is the solution.

One question that should be asked of Obama is: If our system was “broken,” why was the existing private insurance system used as a model to build the current one?

The 30 million Americans who are uninsured is not because of a “broken” system. Those uninsured are not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid. Private individual healthcare insurance policy premiums are out of reach for some based on their income and/or numerous economic difficulties. Then, there are those Americans who choose not to purchase healthcare insurance policies for reasons that are not income or economic based.

The premise made by Obama and his idolatrous worshiping Democrats was individuals without healthcare insurance coverage did not have access to healthcare or “good” healthcare services. Access to healthcare is very different from the ability to pay for those services. Having healthcare insurance does not guarantee the receipt of healthcare services nor does it guarantee payment for those services. Healthcare insurance coverage is designed to offset the cost of medical services thereby reducing out of pocket expenses to the individual.

An individual may not be able to “access” healthcare services when needed because of logistics. In very rural areas, healthcare facilities are not as prevalent or varied as in cities. It may be inconvenient for individuals to travel long distances to receive services. And, the healthcare industry is suffering from lack of doctors and support personnel, such as nurses, to adequately expand services in needed areas. Depending on the need for specialty services, individuals may wait months to see an orthopedist, neurologist or rheumatologist, to name a few. Mandating individuals to purchase healthcare insurance does not solve the problem of logistics.

During the Washington gathering, Obama did acknowledge problems with the Obamacare website stating, “There is a larger problem … the way the federal government does procurement and does IT is, just generally, not very efficient. In fact, there’s probably no bigger gap between the private and public sector than IT.”

Translation: “I know we gave a no-bid contract to Michelle’s friend’s company but Congress allows it. The company is the one who defaulted, so it’s not my fault.”

The company selected to build the federal website for access to the exchanges was awarded to the company where Michelle Obama’s friend held a high position. According to one source, the company responsible for the failed website was paid $394 million – four times the original quoted cost of $94 million. Facebook and Twitter were created for less. When procurement of a company to do business with the federal government is based on cronyism, one can almost predict there will be problems. So, the problem is not a big IT gap between the public and private sector nor is it inefficiency with procurement. The problem is politicians and presidents rewarding friends and monetary contributors with government contracts or positions instead of basing procurement and employment on qualifications. That is not inefficiency.

During one of my second year nursing classes, a guest speaker stated “no matter how many times you kiss a frog, it’s still a frog.” It’s the same with Obamacare. No matter how Obama and the Democrats try to dress it up, change its name, change its website or flip-flop the disaster that it is, it is still an unconstitutional law that forces Americans into a system that ultimately removes individual choices regarding healthcare in favor of government dictates in an area the government has no business.

So, keep kissing that frog, Nancy.

Obamacare shock among its namesake and Democrats is already having its effects. Obama is being derelict in his duty to make sure the law is faithfully executed by legislating changes in the mandate deadlines through executive order. Democrats and RINOs in Congress are swiftly attempting to pass legislation so those millions who have received cancellation letters from their carrier can keep their policy, for only a year. They are having a knee-jerk reaction to problems they knew would occur when the law was passed three years ago. Ego and desperation are the driving actions, nothing more.

Regardless of the Supreme Court ruling, the government mandating individuals purchase healthcare insurance or the government providing socialized medicine is not an enumerated power of Congress per our Constitution. All branches of our government ignored this stipulation regardless of whether it is described as a “tax” or not. Instead of adhering to the Constitution, the egos of Obama and the Democrats chase after this pig of a piece of legislation that’s covered in lard.

Americans are saddled with this unconstitutional law and are, basically, being forced to obtain a healthcare insurance plan or face a penalty (tax) imposed by the Internal Revenue Service. Obama and his donkeys continue to kiss the frog in hopes of a prince or continue to put lipstick on the pig in an attempt to disguise the “pork.” Either way, the American public can expect more posturing, more lying, more deception and more unlawful behavior from our elected officials as more information is revealed about this law.

More Obamacare shock is on the horizon for Americans as well. Congress can repeal this nightmare of an abominable, unconstitutional law or states can nullify it. Until then, the only recourse Americans have against this shock is to walk off the dealership lot.

Ahem, There Is An Obama Cure

Obamacare is making us sick.

Just the very idea of any law being thousands of pages long in the first place is enough to give you a queasy feeling in your head and stomach. I even get a bit nauseous merely buying stuff at the supermarket, when the self-checkout computer thing starts spitting out seemingly endless coupons and a receipt longer than my arm.

As a general rule, I don’t trust any document involving more than a single page, especially when lawyers are required to administer it. There comes a point where you know they’ve got something over you, and it’s only made much, much worse when the bureaucrats are suddenly in charge of even more of your most personal medical/financial decisions and information.

Obamacare, like so many horrible governmentschemes, exists only because socialist flim-flam artists sold it as an alleged way to “help people.” Just over half the country smelled the scam and tried in vain to stop it, but it was shoved down our throats by Democrats who controlled both the legislative and the executive branches.

Those who really know the score have studied and understood the “Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis,” and that all of this chaos and economic devastation is really the core of what Obama hinted at when he howled in exultation about “fundamentally transforming” our country, five days before winning his first presidential election.

In a valiant stand a month ago, Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee led the charge to try to head off the funding/implementation of Obamacare, only to be betrayed by craven fellow Republicans, stonewalled by democrats, and vilified by the corrupt, leftist media for the fiscal impasse and partial government shutdown which resulted.

My, how things have changed in a month.

Suddenly, not only is it looking somewhat safe to be a Republican again, Ted Cruz can grin and know that he’s coming up smelling like a rose after all. He was right in trying to stave off the disaster which Obamacare is proving to be. And speaking of betrayal, Americans have been rudely awakened to the fact that Obama brazenly lied to them over and over and over and over again, again and again, in order to carry out the scam.

So now democrats and even Obama himself are lifting their cues from Ted Cruz, calling for a “fixes” for the debacle that poetically align with the kind of prescriptions which Cruz and the Tea Party brain-trust have been proposing all along, especially while he was increasingly being treated like a political pariah.

Tea Party Texas Senator Ted Cruz is the OBAMACURE.

Even democrats are now so desperate that they’re clamoring for the life-saving antidote, though they still refuse to ask for it by its proper name.

Politics is an extremely tricky business, but if there’s any justice in this world (and it’s actually starting to look again like there might be) the Tea Party contingent and Ted Cruz will be able to pick up the reins, somewhat master the media, and lead our country out of this socialist morass. Ideally, Obama and his entire administration will resign in order to try to avoid impeachment/prosecution–but of course that’s just my idealistic dreaming.

For the time being, until the full-blown Republican revolution comes, I’ll settle for a gradual, generic remedy of the worst symptoms.

Let’s keep supporting upright, courageous public servants like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, and their Tea Party brothers and sisters.

Democrats Wanting to Distance Themselves From Obamacare Debacle Shouldn’t Get Off So Easy

http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/11/democrats-wanting-distance-obamacare-debacle-shouldnt-get-easy/#ixzz2kf1ACpMU

When I wrote my article titled Democrats Jump Ship over Obamacare, I was amused by Democrats trying to distance themselves from Obamacare, but as the awful reality of this horrible law affects more and more Americans, it seems that the Democrats who helped shove this down your throat are having second thoughts about the whole thing. Some of them are even going so far as to publicly say the President was wrong for misleading you and them about the whole thing. What about what they said when they were pushing this on us in 2009?

congress-healthcareWhat unmitigated gall! Even the likes of Diane Feinstein are chiming in and trying to act like they are shocked and upset, and that insults my intelligence! Prior to the debut of the Affordable Care Act, Dianne Feinstein and all the rest of the Democrats have been defending this law like it was their child, and have been angry at Republicans for not wanting to pass it in the first place. They are still defending it against any effort by Republicans to either repeal it or defund it.

According to the Democrats, “You can huff and you can puff -but the Affordable Care Act is not going away!”

Now they act shocked and angry at the President because of what they helped him do to the American people. Are we supposed to take them seriously?

As I previously stated in other articles, every single Democrat who was in office at the time signed that law! Not one of them even read the bill before voting for it, and now because it’s going badly for them, they think that they can jump ship and try to distance themselves from it and the President? I don’t think so! They need to be held accountable, and it’s up to us to not let them get away with it.

For the last 5 years of the Obama occupation of the White House, progressive/liberal/democrat/Marxist’s have been acting more and more emboldened in their disdain for the will of the people they are supposed to be serving. Dianne Feinstein has tried to introduce gun control legislation more than once and has also attacked the 1st Amendment with Shield Laws. So forgive me if I don’t believe a word she says about Obamacare right now, she, like every Democrat in Washington D.C. is trying to save their political careers and their jobs right now. They are counting on you being too damn stupid to remember that they are the ones who did this to us in the first place. This law was forced on the American people. We were, in effect, violated against our will. This law is one of the main reasons the Tea Party was formed.

So, as the time for the 2014 elections draws near, I’m sure that more and more of those same Democrats who did this to us will try to convince you that they really didn’t want it in the first place. It’s up to us to not let them try to BS their way out of it. Rather, we must hold each and every single one of them responsible. Even Bill Clinton is going on record saying the President “misled” us and for him to keep his promise.

Remember folks, those Democrats who brought this down on us will say and do anything to keep their jobs at this point. It’s our job to make them pay for this, and the only thing they understand is to be voted out of office! Please feel free to give them a call and tell them that there is no excuse for this.

How can a reasonably intelligent person in America believe anything that a Democrat says right now?

Democrat Minority Whip: Obama Grossly Misled American Public on Obamacare

http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/11/democrat-minority-whip-steny-hoyer-barack-obama-grossly-misled-american-public-obamacare/#ixzz2keypowCm

Victims of Obamacare are sharing their stories across the internet; by victims, I mean those individuals who have had their healthcare insurance policies canceled and hit with higher premiums and deductibles because of the Obamacare roll out. Some of these individuals favored health care insurance for all in the form of Obamacare while others did not support government intrusion into their private lives.

steny hoyerBecause of this backlash, Obama made what is now being called a “fake apology” on national television. But, what how are the Democrats in Congress handling this “bungled” implementation of a “thrown together in a rush” health care fiasco? With the 2014 elections just around the corner, one Democrat is calling Obama’s guarantee of “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, period” grossly misleading the American public.

Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) stated on KGW-TV, “A lot of Americans, a lot of Oregonians, have stayed with the same policy for a number of years and are shocked that their policy got canceled.”

According to The Daily Caller:

“So I think the President saying you could stay with it and not being honest that a lot of these policies were going to get canceled was grossly misleading to the American public and is causing added stress and added strife as we go through a really difficult time with healthcare,” Schrader added.

Democratic Minority Whip Steny Hoyer acknowledged two weeks ago that Democrats had been aware that some people might lose their insurance plans when the law took effect, saying, “We knew there would be some policies that would not qualify and therefore people would be required to get more extensive coverage.”

At a Tuesday briefing with reporters, Hoyer said he disagreed with Schrader’s statement.

“Do I think he grossly misled? No,” Hoyer stated.

“I think the president was not precise, and I think that, he should have been precise,” Hoyer said. “We all should have been more precise.”

Wow! There is so much manure coming out of Washington these days that a couple of these Democrat Obama idolators needs to stand in the small garden plot my parents have to fertilize it for this spring’s planting season. They would have a bumper crop for sure!

It is nice to see that Schrader is calling Obama’s statement “grossly misleading;” however, Obama lied – not once, not twice, but repeatedly, in order to deceive the American public into accepting Obamacare for something it is not. The only reason America is going through a “really difficult time with healthcare” is because of the unconstitutional, atrocious Obamacare. Schrader is attempting to fool his constituency and the American public into thinking he is advocating for the citizenry. The only thing he is advocating for is keeping his seat in the House to be exempt from Obamacare and assist with the “nobility rule” of the American masses.

“We knew some people had policies that covered what they needed but we wanted them to purchase more than what they needed because we know what is best for everyone where their health is concerned.”

I can see where single males might need that prenatal care coverage or contraceptive coverage and possibly baby murder coverage; after all, the pregnancy rate among single males is staggering. (Yes, this is heavy sarcasm.)

Hoyer, in contrast to Schrader, excuses outright lying by qualifying that the president and Congress “were not precise.” Hello? Hoyer? Anybody home in that brain of yours? I can see the lights are on but no one is answering the door!

These people think Americans are stupid. Video evidence abounds showing Obama making a precise, definitive, clear, unmistakable statement – “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, period.” I pride myself on reading and verbal comprehension as it was drilled into me by first my mother, then my college professors and nursing instructors. Can someone please tell me where this statement is not precise and where this statement is unclear? Obama didn’t give all the details and hid from the American public the true effect of this healthcare monster. He engaged in deception and fraud.

Obama has been back-peddling and issuing qualifying statements in contrast to his “less than precise” statement, even to the point of denying making that definitive statement. This man thinks everyone in America is a fool and that video evidence is a lie. Everyone is lying; everyone is against him; everyone misunderstood. This is the repertoire of victim mentality.

Poor, poor Obama! He’s a victim of those nasty Republican, the terrorist Tea Party groups and those annoying Christians so we have to help him by supporting his anti-American agenda; if we don’t, we’ll be labeled as racists. Democrats act like their hands are tied by their political party. Democrats passed this law without a single Republican vote. Democrats passed this law without even reading it. Democrats chose to knowingly inflict injury on the American public. So, Democrats own this mess and no amount of “playing victim” can change that. There are no victims in Washington.

Schrader and Hoyer need to go; vote them out. Obama and his cronies knew when this law was passed millions of Americans would lose healthcare insurance they were satisfied with. Those Democrats who were elected after the law was passed knew weeks before implementation millions of Americans would lose healthcare insurance they were satisfied with. Schrader is hitting the band wagon early to keep his position. Hoyer, his nose still up Obama’s anus, really doesn’t give two shakes so he follows lead by issuing qualifying statements.

As time goes on and the full impact of Obamacare is exposed, there will be more manure, back-peddling, and qualifying statements issued all around in order that these deceiving Democraps can keep their seat of power. It all revolves around keeping themselves part of the “ruling nobility:” no more, no less. Sadly, they don’t care what they have to do to remain there even if it means selling out their constituents and all of America. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson would be so proud of this “New Deal – Great Society.”

Barackalypse Now: Slavery is Legal Again and Food Stamp Zombies Want All Your Candy

http://clashdaily.com/2013/10/barackalypse-now-slavery-legal-food-stamp-zombies-want-candy/#8Ewqgu8M6OsjQ1TC.99

By

Barakalapalis

Trick or treat!! The word, according to Neil Cavuto, is that the gazillions of food stamp recipients across the land are to have their “benefits” reduced as of November 1st, and that the Department of Homeland Security is gearing up for widespread riots.

Such wonders abound in our neo-socialist dystopia of “hope & change.” For the past several years, the Obama administration has aggressively sought to solidify and expand the democrat party’s grip on power by encouraging as many people as they possibly can to sign up for food stamps and other government programs, to make dependency on government a way of life for more and more generations of future voters. For most readers, this is by now an elementary fact of political life.

Problem is, the free-lunch tree is being stripped of goodies very quickly…

Remember that story from about a month ago, where the socialist regime in Venezuela was stationing armed troops inside toilet paper factories, in order to enforce production and distribution quotas, due to severe shortages resulting from price controls? Seems that centrally-planned economies can never satisfy human demands for goods and services, no matter how many times central planning is tried; nor does it matter who is doing the planning.

Government’s proper role is not to feed & take care of people, nor could it do so adequately even if that was its job. Instead, government should promote the general welfare by helping to create conditions which allow people to prosper in freedom–chiefly, by protecting individual rights, especially property rights.

To repeat a quote often attributed to our country’s first president, George Washington(a man who knew a little something about the proper role of limited government–he refused the suggestion by some that he be crowned king of the new nation of America, and rebuked those who suggested it): “Government is not reason, it is not eloquence–it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.”

Today, we are “evolving” into more and more of a democracy, rather than the republic once cherished by those who fought so long and hard for liberty. Increasingly, the masses of people can simply vote themselves less personal responsibility, and more of the property produced by others, by electing democrats to use the force of government to redistribute goods. How much longer do you suppose before stuff here is inadequately produced at gunpoint, like in Venezuela?

Eminent black economist Walter Williams points out that during the time when chattel slavery was legal on this continent, there was (in addition to the usual plantation-bound, field hand arrangement) a sort of journeyman category of skilled slaves who actually lived rather independently from their owners. They plied their particular specialized trades according to their own comings and goings, and often had families and homes separate from their masters; however, the extent of their being slaves in bondage was that their masters still owned them, and owned what they produced. Their earnings were turned over to their masters, who allowed them to keep enough to maintain their separate livelihoods. If they tried to evade this relatively liberal arrangement in any way, they could be legally dealt with, and harshly, their owners resorting to bounties and whatnot if necessary.

Compare such a category of chattel slave of yesteryear with the taxpayer of today–is there really that much difference?

The more skilled and productive the taxpayer, the more of his or her product that the voting democrat masters seize, leaving him or her (if the taxpaying slave happens to be very resourceful) enough to enjoy a tidy or even splendiferous separate existence, yes, but the arrangement really is no different in essential character. We also have some very wealthy and highly skilled slaves today, owned by a multitude of democrat voters helping themselves to upwards of half of what the slaves produce.

So all of this can just continue on indefinitely, right? No?

You mean to tell me the takers are vastly out-breeding and out-voting the makers? You’re saying the makers are becoming disillusioned and discouraged?

Yes indeedy, an Investor’s Business Daily headline from yesterday reads: “Welfare, Not Full-Time Work, Is Now America’s No. 1 Occupation.”

Trick or treat!!

CBS Takes Nancy Pelosi to Task Over Inflammatory Rhetoric

http://eaglerising.com/2165/cbs-takes-nancy-pelosi-task-inflammatory-rhetoric/

By

It’s not often that we get to experience something as delicious as CBS taking Nancy Pelosi to task for any one of her many sins… so let’s just enjoy this one together for a few moments. (SEE VIDEO HERE: <iframe title=”MRC TV video player” width=”640″ height=”360″ src=”http://www.mrctv.org/embed/123200″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen> http://www.mrctv.org/videos/shocker-cbs-hounds-pelosi-over-shutdown-youve-called-them-arsonists )

Is CBS turning a corner on reporting and beginning to hold the Democrats accountable for their Molotov cocktail-like rhetoric? Not really. But we need to take our victories when we can, even if they’re as small as this one.

Obama supporter Gayle King repeatedly pressed Pelosi about “people [who] are just saying…work it out….both sides have to be willing to leave something on the table.”

Anthony Mason underlined how “Senator [Harry] Reid called some Republicans anarchists. You’ve called them arsonists….How do you get a meeting of the minds when people are talking like that?”

Norah O’Donnell also wondered about “a scenario…where Democrats would be willing to give on a larger budget deal – the grand bargain coming back, and giving on entitlements, so that we can move forward.”

Nancy Pelosi gamely tried to spin the interview in the direction of blaming the Republicans, but her interviewers weren’t having it. There were moments watching the back and forth that I worried her head might explode in anger at having to defend her liberal talking points. Democrats are not used to having to tell the media what to believe, so it’s not all Pelosi’s fault that she was caught off guard. Her attempt at spin led the panelists to interrupt again…

Mason interrupted and shot back, “But, at the same time, the President’s saying, we won’t negotiate, and he’s taking criticism for that.”

King came right back: “To the people outside, it really just does seem like white noise. It just seems like, you say something; they say something…And the people are just saying, you guys, just work it out. That’s all I’m saying.”

NancyPelosiThe sad part of this entire CBS experience is that this is what passes as a “tough” interview for Democrats. The interviewers weren’t necessarily attacking Pelosi or the Democrat positions that have led to the shutdown. They were simply asking if the inflammatory rhetoric of the Democrats was making matters worse, and if perhaps the Democrats should be willing to negotiate an end to the shutdown. Even these simple questions though, were enough to cause the House minority leader to squirm and grow agitated with the interview.

Maybe it wasn’t the toughest interview, and maybe CBS is still a liberal media shill. It’s still nice to watch a Democrat robot like Pelosi squirm when all she has are her talking points. Thank you, CBS, for making me smile.

National Park Service Allows Immigration Reform Rally On National Mall, Despite Location Being Closed Due To Government Shutdown

By Will Hagle, Mon, October 07, 2013

Despite recent examples of strict behavior by the National Park Service, including the temporary eviction of an elderly couple from their Nevada home and an attempt to block WWII veterans from visiting their memorial in D.C., the government organization has given approval for an immigration reform rally scheduled to take place on the National Mall. The site of the rally, a major tourist D.C. destination due to its housing of the district’s numerous free museums, has been closed due to the budget deliberations taking place in Congress that have caused the current government shutdown.

Signs outside the National Mall inform visitors that the area is off-limits until the government resumes its normal operation. Still, around 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, most notably House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who is scheduled to speak at the event.

The rally is called “Camino Americano: March For Immigration Reform,” and organizers of the event have already been spotted setting up on the National Mall. Susana Flores, spokeswoman for the rally, told the Washington Examiner that protestors will be protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, despite the current nature of the government and the National Mall.

The official website for the rally estimates that “tens of thousands will come to the National Mall to share stories of suffering and strength and demand passage of commonsense immigration reform.”

While the event is likely to be a significant demonstration of clear support for the rights of undocumented immigrants living in the United States, Congress is undoubtedly focused on other issues, with the argument surrounding the Affordable Care Act stuck in a stand-still and the budget deficit deadline looming. The National Mall is officially ordered to remain closed (for those not undergoing massive protests, apparently), until the government shutdown ends.

Why the Democrats are Scared Out of Their Minds

http://lastresistance.com/3309/democrats-scared-minds/#kj46V5d1stsxHMw4.99

Posted By

“The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force.” – Adolf Hitler
It’s been said that rhetoric is the art of controlling the minds of men. Political rhetoric takes words and places them in just such a way as to make an idea appeal to the largest possible audience. It is vocabulary manipulation, and it is extremely effective.

The Democrats have been using this strategy for as long as I can remember. Here’s the interesting part: rhetoric is directly linked to desperation. The larger, and more aggressive the imagery, the more desperate the Democrat. Case in point: Liberal radio host Stephanie Miller.

According to Breitbart, Miller said this of Republicans, in response to a listener’s comment regarding the battle over the debt ceiling/Obamacare:

“May I correct you? They are not holding your children hostage; they are trying to blow your children up. There is a difference…They are suicide bombers they are no longer hostage takers. They are no longer just regular terrorists they are suicide bombers.”

Honestly speaking, Republicans would never have attempted something like what they are currently doing just several years ago. It is through the influence of real leaders like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and David Vitter that they are finally standing up for the American people. This sudden bravery on the part of Republicans has the Left freaking out. They are running scared. Because many Liberals have never dealt with actual, warm-blooded opposition, they are overreacting in terms of rhetoric.

Liberals are desperate for the American people to believe in them, so they use frightening phrases like “suicide bombers,” “blowing your children up,” and “hostage takers” to rattle us. Imagery like that is often quite effective.

Right now, it may seem like the violent rhetoric is working, and for a time, it just might. But what Republicans need to do is think in the long term. The reason rhetoric works so well against Republicans is because they don’t fight back. There is no consistent opposition to the ridiculous accusations laid out by the Left. But that’s all changing. With new, emboldened leadership, other Republicans are being forced to step up their game. They are fighting fire with fire, and sticking to it.

Guess what? It’s working. The Left is scared out of their minds. It’s a great day. Expect the rhetoric to become even more violent and extreme so long as Republicans actually stick to their game.
