liberal-hate-speech
NYU cultural studies and literature professor Michael Rectenwald, who calls himself a communist, learned just how unhinged liberals are after he made the choice to go on Bill O’Reilly’s Fox News “The Contributing Factor” podcast early this week. As soon as the episode aired he was deluged with venomous hatred from liberals.
The podcast is entitled, “A “Deplorable” Professor on Why Campuses Are So Radical.”
The description of the podcast is as follows:
Campus protests have recently reached a new level of intensity, with riots even breaking out in Berkeley, California earlier this month. Dr. Michael Rectenwald, a clinical professor of liberal studies at New York University, joins the podcast to share his insights on what he sees from the most extreme groups on campus.
Professor Rectenwald gained notoriety when he announced he was the author of a previously anonymous Twitter page called “Deplorable NYU Prof.” Dr. Rectenwald controversially was placed on paid leave at NYU after his revelation. Were his Twitter page and his paid leave related? Professor Rectenwald tells us, and also explains how “social justice warriors” have taken over most campuses.
Rectenwald later Tweeted about his experience on the show…
My field trip to @FoxNews. See me seated in Bill O’@oreillyfactor‘s chair. pic.twitter.com/V6pIplteki
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 17, 2017
But as soon as he let folks know of his trip to the O’Reilly show and after the Fox host tweeted out a link to his podcast, the radical left went wild in an effort to destroy the professor.
The attacks were so vicious that even Twitter itself joined in by deleting what the professor called his “most popular” tweet which slammed the left’s vaunted “social justice warriors” (SJWs) for judging people based on their identity instead of their actual ethics.
The prof said that one of his highly viewed tweets suddenly disappeared from Twitter earlier this week.
“It had to be someone within the Twitter administration,” Prof Rectenwald told Fox News. “Instead of calling it social media, they should call it social justice media.”
After all that and after liberals once again went wild with their spittle-specked attacks, the professor jumped onto his Facebook page to say that he is now officially out of the liberal movement.

I was on the receiving end of a Twitter sh** storm from hell last night, after O’Reilly tweeted my handle and interview, and after I suggested that if Milo Yiannopolous was a liberal, the same people hanging him symbolically now would be defending him zealously.
The result: Twitter Hell on earth.
I don’t want to reproduce the putrid and vile character of this attack, but I will say this: Today’s “Left” is rife with the most obscene, abusive, nasty, spiritually ugly and utterly unethical, hypocritical and fanatically horrible people I’ve ever encountered in my 58 years on earth.
When I was a left-liberal activist and founder of Citizens for Legitimate Government after the first GWB Bush “election,” I routinely received hate email from right-wingers. They were routinely mean-spirited.
But now that I am a critic of the Left, nothing from the past comes close to the kind of personal invective, baseless insults, vilely degrading language and imagery that I was barraged with from these Leftists — and all because I critiqued an IDEOLOGY and its mechanisms, and critiqued the hypocrisy of today’s illiberal leftists. The Left has utterly and completely lost its way and I no longer want anything to do with it. I include most milieus of Marxism as well, as these have resorted to the same tactics in conjunction with the others.
Good bye to all that. Good bye.
“They claim they are liberal, but their ideas are illiberal through and through,” the professor told Fox.
This is far from the first time that Professor Rectenwald has drawn the ire of the left. Proving that my oft repeated phrase, “college makes you stupid,” is wholly correct, late last year he got in trouble with his university after posting a humorous Facebook post about a student who was demanding that people accept his “preferred gender” as “Your Majesty.”
Once NYU discovered it was Rectenwald who posted the story ridiculing the student, the school punished him by taking him out of his position and putting him on leave.
But he also drew the ire of the left by coming to the support of controversial gay libertarian Milo Yiannopoulos. To give you an idea of just what Rectenwald said in support of Milo, one only need turn to the prof’s Twitter feed.
.@GaloreVida Milo advocated for genocide? On what planet? But again, the Supreme Court decides these matters not some Antifa lunatic fringe.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 20, 2017
.@isaac_1077 @GadSaad @jordanbpeterson @benshapiro Thank you. Btw, I’m not condemning Milo, just saying that it’s shame he’s been smeared.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 21, 2017
“I’m proud to be a free speech warrior in America and I’m not going anywhere.” Milo Yiannopoulos, Feb 21, 2017. Ditto.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 21, 2017
Milo is a courageous American deserving support of free all speech advocates & in particular those whose rights are under siege in the US.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 21, 2017
.@TrumpsRockin @legitgov I, for one, am not turning my back on him He has my full support.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 21, 2017
The prof has also spoken up for free speech and against social justice warriors in the university.
.@GaloreVida When has BLM’s speech been infringed? As far as I can tell, they’re in the habit of infringing on others’, even Bernie Sanders.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 20, 2017
.@GaloreVida “Hate speech” is constitutional & universities are a platform for various speech, whether you & your comrades like it or not.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 20, 2017
.@GaloreVida Again, your premise is flawed. You’re not the arbiter of what is “hate speech” and what’s not. Sorry comrade.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 20, 2017
.@GaloreVida Notice how you’re the one who deems yourself qualified to censor speech–because you’re an authoritarian/wannabe totalitarian.
— Michael Rectenwald (@antipcnyuprof) February 20, 2017
Sadly, the way Rectenwald has been treated is typical of the fascist left.
Now, there are two lines of thinking where it concerns today’s unhinged left.

Still, maybe number two is right because it seems almost daily that we find another Michael Rectenwald telling the American left that he is done with them.

Conservatives speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference said they want to see Congress repeal and replace Obamacare. (Photo: Mike Theiler/Reuters/Newscom)
During a panel at the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, on Thursday, Grace-Marie Turner, president of the Galen Institute, told attendees to think of Obamacare’s repeal as a “down payment” that will allow Republicans to implement their own health care reforms in the future.
But first, Turner said Republicans need to take action to repeal the law using a fast-track budget tool called reconciliation.
“We have to do this,” she said. “We have to be get this out of here to be able to deliver on the repeal-and-replace pledge to the American people, and then to begin the process of truly returning to a health sector that can be America’s greatest health sector again.”
Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, Scott Flanders of eHealth, and Dale Bellis of Liberty HealthShare joined Turner on the health care panel at the annual event.
While Republicans campaigned since 2010 on repealing Obamacare, efforts to advance the legislation dismantling the law have slowed over the last few weeks. The GOP-led Congress passed a bill using reconciliation to undo major provisions of the health care law in 2015. But President Barack Obama ultimately vetoed that legislation. Now, conservatives in Congress are calling on their leaders to bring that same bill before members for another vote.
“It’s going to happen,” Burgess said of Obamacare’s repeal. “What [the 2015 bill] demonstrated to me was that if you got the right president in the White House, you could send that bill back down to the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, and you could repeal large pieces of the Affordable Care Act.”
The 2015 reconciliation bill repealed Obamacare’s individual and employer mandates, Medicaid expansion, and subsidies. It also stripped the federal government of the authority to run the exchanges, and eliminated federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Though that legislation passed both chambers of Congress, tensions have emerged among GOP lawmakers over which parts of the health care law to unwind.
Republicans are split over whether to leave the Medicaid expansion in place, while GOP leaders want to include parts of a replacement plan in the same legislation that will repeal the law—a strategy that some conservatives have derided. But Burgess, who serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, said the 2015 reconciliation bill will serve as a “starting point” for Congress this year, with Republicans understanding that the repeal bill will be at least the same as that passed in 2015.
In addition to disagreement over whether to include parts of Obamacare’s replacement in the repeal bill, Republicans also split on whether to provide tax credits or tax deductions to consumers. But Turner stressed that the process for replacing the law—what she said will become a “once-in-a-generation reform”—will be a lengthy one that requires thought, particularly since Republicans are starting not from a blank slate, but with an already changed health insurance market.
“It’s really what would we want if we were starting from the right kind of policy for the health sector? We are not starting there. We’re starting with Obamacare,” she said. “We’re starting with some number of millions of people … relying on Obamacare. You have to create a lifeboat for them, and structures that provide the kind of resources people need who don’t have means to purchase health insurance on their own so they can continue coverage.”
Like Republicans in Congress, President Donald Trump campaigned on repealing Obamacare. During his first day in office, Trump signed an executive order addressing Obamacare and giving his federal agencies the discretion to no longer enforce the individual mandate. And he’s repeatedly said that his new Health and Human Services secretary, Tom Price, will present a replacement plan before Congress.
Trump will address a joint session of Congress next week, and Burgess had his own wishes for what he hopes the president will tell Republicans and Democrats in Congress.
“I would like for him to say very directly to us, to my leadership in the House, Republicans and Democrats, that ‘this is your job,’” Burgess said. “‘I want you to get it done.’ Simple as that.”
CPAC, the largest annual national gathering of conservative activists, runs from Wednesday to Saturday at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside Washington.

shutterstock_locked tax dollars
A republic is what our Founding Fathers sacrificed so much to establish. It’s a government where the people elect leaders to do the will of the majority of the people.
A democracy is best described as a government where the people elect leaders to rule over them, regardless of the will
of the people. So many people erroneously think America was a democracy but it was NEVER intended to be that way. Also notice that many communist or socialist countries use the term ‘democratic’ in their name – i.e. Democratic Republic of the Congo. Republic in this name just refers to a bordered nation and Democratic refers to the socialist government running it. When East Germany still existed, it was formally known as the German Democratic Republic and like the Congo, Republic only referred to the geographic borders and Democratic referred to the socialist-communist government.
Our Founding Fathers intended for the people to hold most of the power and influence and of the three branches of the federal government, the judiciary was to be the least powerful. However, lately, the judiciary has become the most powerful and influential branch of the federal government. They override the will of the people, the will of Congress and the orders of the President.
Such is the case of U.S. District Court Judge Sam Sparks, in Austin, Texas.
The majority of Texas voters elected Republicans to the state House and Senate with the mandate to defund Planned Parenthood. Currently, the Texas Senate has 20 republicans to only 11 Democrats and the House is 95 Republicans to only 55 Democrats. Greg Abbott, a staunchly conservative Christian Republican holds the governor’s office after faithfully serving as the state’s Attorney General for 13 years. Since 1987, Texas has only had 1 Democratic governor in Ann Richards who only lasted 4 years. She was followed in 1995 by George W. Bush who was then followed by Rick Perry, who was then followed by Greg Abbott.
Following the will of the people, the Texas legislature voted in 2015 to defund Planned Parenthood, since the voters said they didn’t want their tax dollars going to the abortion giant, regardless of what other services they claim to provide. After the bill to defund Planned Parenthood was signed into law by Gov. Abbott, Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit, claiming the new law was unconstitutional.
In his agenda driven ruling, Judge Sparks, once thought to be a conservative who was appointed by President George W. Bush, overturned the law in favor of Planned Parenthood. Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council commented about the ruling handed down by Judge Sparks:
“It may be your money, but that doesn’t mean you can decide how it’s spent!” That was the message from U.S. District Court Judge Sam Sparks to Texans who overwhelmingly voted to strip Planned Parenthood of its hefty Medicaid haul. In a 42-page opinion that read like it was written by Cecile Richards herself, Sparks took unusual offense to the law, insisting that the effort was all based on ‘a secretly recorded video, fake names, a grand jury indictment, [and] congressional investigations’ that sounded more like a ‘best-selling novel’ than a legitimate case’.”
“‘Yet, rather than a villain plotting to take over the world, the subject of this case is the State of Texas’s efforts to expel a group of health care providers from a social health care program for families and individuals with limited resources.’ Insisting that yanking funding for the scandal-plagued group would somehow cause ‘irreparable harm,’ Sparks seemed more concerned with his personal agenda than the facts. If the judge had bothered looking beyond his own bias, he would have realized that low-cost, publicly-funded health centers (where these dollars would be redirected) outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities 20 to one nationwide, care for 23 million Americans, and even provide more health services than the group he’s so desperate to defend. In fact, those community health centers serve 21.1 million individuals per year, nearly eight times more individuals than are served by Planned Parenthood centers.”
When one judge becomes President, Congress, Governor, state legislature and ruler of the people, it’s a clear sign that America is no longer the republic created and established by the Founding Fathers. It also sends out a signal that the majority of the American people no long have a say in their government or how the government spends their hard-earned tax dollars.

Ted Cruz and Mark Levin CPAC 2017 / @tedcruz | Twitter
Speaking with Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin, the Texas senator discussed a broad range of topics including term limits on members of Congress, the nomination of Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, and the rogue federal judiciary.
Cruz criticized the Fourth Circuit court decision limiting the individual’s Second Amendment right to own a firearm.
“The Fourth Circuit used to be the most conservative court in the country,” Cruz said. “The Fourth Circuit now, they’ve invented this new test for the Second Amendment.”
The test, Cruz explained, says “the Second Amendment doesn’t protect a weapon if it would be useful in a military context.” The senator noted the absurdity of such a test, given the amendment reads:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (Emphasis added.)
“This test isn’t just sort of questionable, it isn’t just a little bit out there. It is nuts!” Cruz exclaimed. “The Second Amendment was designed explicitly to protect weapons that would be useful in a military conflict.”
He added, “If we were living back in 1789, your musket would be really useful in a military conflict!”
“You want to know the first gun control law in America?” Cruz asked the audience. “The first Congress passed a law mandating that all able-bodied men must own a musket.”
“That’s an individual mandate we could live with,” Mark Levin quipped.

Syrian Democratic Forces
Video of the celebrations emerged Wednesday on a YouTube channel affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Syrian rebel group made up mostly of Kurdish fighters. The video shows men, women, and children all singing and dancing to celebrate their liberation from the Islamic State. Two of the women in the video take off their veil and proceed to light it ablaze in celebration. Two other women celebrate their freedom by lighting up a cigarette, while children are seen dancing in the streets.
Syrian women deciding to torch their burqas and veils has become a common occurrence upon being freed from ISIS rule. To many, it is a symbol of oppression.
“Damn this stupid invention that they made us wear,” a Syrian woman said in August after she was liberated by the SDF. “We’re humans, we have our freedom.”
The Islamic State has ordered women in Iraq and Syria to wear full veils or be subject to “serious punishment.”
The SDF is a critical component of the U.S.-backed coalition battling the Islamic State, as Kurdish forces are engaged in a campaign to cut off ISIS supply lines throughout the country. In recent days, they have continued to push further into ISIS-held territory, liberating many towns and villages along the way. According to Kurdish news outlet Rudaw, the SDF “crossed into Deir ez-Zur province [in Syria] for the first time Tuesday.”
SDF troops plan on continuing their push forward until they reach Raqqa, which is known as the Syrian headquarters of the Islamic State.

In case you thought they didn’t know what they were doing, here’s Mika Brzezinski forthrightly stating on Morning Joe that the problem with Donald Trump attacking the media is that he is doing thought control, which is “our job.”
Here’s as transcript of the exchange, from grabien:
Joe Scarborough: “Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters. They go, ‘Yeah you guys are going crazy. He’s doing — what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.’”
Mika Brzezinski: “Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job.”
Brzezinski thinks it is the media’s job to “actually control exactly what people think” and doesn’t even hide it!
According to grabien, “The comment failed to raise any eyebrows from her co-panelists.” Joe Scarborough also mentioned Donald Trump calling the media “the enemy of the people,” and claimed that using the phrase made him sound “like Mussolini or Lenin” and ” like a dictator in training.”

Nothing is uglier than the media’s sense of entitlement. Media privilege is on display.
When this arrogance is taken seriously, it is impossible not to feel grateful for Donald Trump even if you disagree with him. The media monopoly has been broken by him! He has thus increased freedom of thought in America simply by offering an alternative account.
It seems to me that the media spends a lot more time accusing Donald Trump of violating media prerogatives rather than producing an argument that shows why he is wrong. They seem more concerned with the fact Donald Trump dares to disagree with them more than with the substance of what he says. As a result, they make Trump look like a hero—a champion for freedom of thought against the media monolith. They are effectively campaigning for Trump’s reelection.

Take for instance the case of teacher Michael Garrison and a former student. CJ Parsons is a black conservative and when he was 12-years-old, he produced a You Tube video that ripped Barack Obama apart for his views on ISIS and America.
“C.J. looked into the camera and stated: ‘President Obama – you don’t love America. If you really did love America, you would call ISIS what it really is – an assault on Christianity – an assault on America and a downright hate for the American values our country holds – of freedom of speech – freedom of religion and everything our country stands for’.”
“Within three days the video had gone viral, garnering 540,000 views and as of today, it has over 2.1 million. That and other videos by the young man have gained him celebrity status, as he’s met Ted Cruz, been on Fox’s “The Kelly File” as well as Sean Hannity’s show. Oh, and also being blocked on our child-president, Barack Obama’s Twitter page…”
Sadly, Parson’s received a lot of hate mail for his video as not everyone was supportive of him for his stand in defending America.
“It seems one of C.J.’s former teachers, Michael Garrison, told students that black conservative activist student C.J. Pearson thinks he’s ‘not worth saving in a fire,’ and he ‘hates him’.”
The last I heard, nothing was done to Garrison for his harsh statement about his former student.
Meet Dana Dusbiber, an English teacher at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California. She has decided to not teach her English students anything about the most famous English author of all time, William Shakespeare. Even though studying Shakespeare is a requirement for high school in the Common Core English Language Arts standards, Dusbiber says she will not teach any Shakespeare to her students because she is black and many of her students are black.
Dusbiber defended her stance in a letter she sent to The Washington Post, stating:
“I am a high school English teacher. I am not supposed to dislike Shakespeare. But I do. And not only do I dislike Shakespeare because of my own personal disinterest in reading stories written in an early form of the English language that I cannot always easily navigate, but also because there is a WORLD of really exciting literature out there that better speaks to the needs of my very ethnically-diverse and wonderfully curious modern-day students…”
“What I worry about is that as long as we continue to cling to ONE (white) MAN’S view of life as he lived it so long ago, we (perhaps unwittingly) promote the notion that other cultural perspectives are less important. In the 25 years that I have been a secondary teacher, I have heard countless times, from respected teachers (mostly white), that they will ALWAYS teach Shakespeare, because our students need Shakespeare and his teachings on the human condition.
“So, I ask, why not teach the oral tradition out of Africa, which includes an equally relevant commentary on human behavior? Why not teach translations of early writings or oral storytelling from Latin America or Southeast Asia other parts of the world? Many, many of our students come from these languages and traditions. Why do our students not deserve to study these ‘other’ literatures with equal time and value? And if time is the issue in our classrooms, perhaps we no longer have the time to study the Western canon that so many of us know and hold dear.”
The last I knew, Dusbiber was not disciplined for forcing her racist views on her students. These are just a few of the instances where liberal teachers have allowed their personal agendas to infiltrate into their classrooms and influence their teaching and nothing is done to stop them.
But what happens to a conservative teacher who on their own time, expresses their personal opinion on their own social media page?
Meet Veronica Fleming:
“Parkside Elementary School computer lab instructor Veronica Fleming linked to a Chicago Tribune story about the nationwide protest and offered her take on the situation.’
“‘The funny part about immigrants staying home is the rest of us who pay for them are here at work like we’ve always been. Looks like less mouths to feed today. Have fun while you still can. So glad to hear about massive deportation. Let’s make America great again. Thanks Donald Trump!’”
“Collier County Public Schools spokesman Greg Turchetta told the Naples Daily News Fleming’s post didn’t sit well with parents of students at Parkside Elementary, 96 percent of which are minorities…”
“Juanita Perez, an immigrant mother of two, told NBC 2 she was ‘offended’ by Fleming’s online comments.”
“‘My feelings are hurt for our kids,’ she said. ‘I couldn’t even believe it. How could a teacher speak like that?’”
Due to the complaints immigrant parents who have blindly believed the twisted truths of the liberal media, the school reassigned Fleming to an administrative job, taking her out of the classroom. She was accused of being a racist, but when real racists push their racist views in the classroom, nothing happens to them. They are not reassigned or taken out of the classroom. They are allowed to continue their racist indoctrination of young impressionable students, but conservative teachers are silenced and punished for expressing their conservative views.

For the past fifty years, any semblance of Christianity is discriminated against if it involves any government person or agency. Courts have said that you can’t have schools involved in reading the Bible or praying because someone was or could be offended.
Schools are not allowed to hold a Baccalaureate service for graduating seniors because it’s a Christian based service because non-Christian students might be offended. However, public high schools in Michigan have been allowed to hold girl only proms for their Muslim students caring not if any non-Muslim students are offended.
Many of our military personnel have been ordered to remove any symbols of Christianity from their person or their offices and work stations, especially those stationed in the Middle East. They’re not allowed to wear a cross around their neck or as earrings, nor are they allowed to have a Bible on their desks as it will offend Muslims, yet Muslim members of the military are allowed to have Islamic items out in the open, caring not that it offends non-Muslims.
Anyone can go on most social media or mainstream media and say anything they want about Christianity and Christians. You can portray an image of Jesus in a jar of urine and it’s okay, but draw a cartoon about Islam and you best go into hiding. However, if you say or post anything against Islam and Muslims, you can find yourself banned from the social media site, like Facebook. Say anything against Muslims in general on the mainstream media and you will more than likely be suspended or fired.
Today, we see another example of ‘selective allowable discrimination’ in the public schools of New Jersey and a growing number of parents are upset over it. The issue is the teaching of Islam as part of the normal classroom curriculum while at the same time, the teaching of Christianity is illegal.
EAGNews reports:
“Parents of students at Chatham Middle School are calling on the board of education to eliminate lessons on Islam from the 7th grade social studies curriculum they believe proselytizes the religion.”
“Several parents attended a board meeting Monday to take aim at materials distributed to students through a ‘World Cultures and Geography’ class they believe cross the line, Tap into Chatham reports.”
“The parents emailed board members copies of the lessons they believe violate the district’s policy that ‘no religious beliefs be promoted or disparaged’ and handed copies to others in attendance at the meeting, as well.”
“‘In the Middle East and North Africa unit of the class students are taught about the five pillars of Islam in great detail, there are two videos on it, a 20-page PowerPoint presentation, class work, homework, and testing,’ parent Libby Hilsenrath told the board. “In this unit, there is no mention of any other religion or teaching of it.”
“‘… When it comes to teaching other religions at this level, it’s not done,’ she said.”
“Hilsenrath went over many of the objectionable homework assignments with board members in detail, including lessons that require students to memorize and write the Islamic conversion prayer.”
Where are the atheists who file lawsuits against everything that hints of Christianity in public schools? Atheists have even tried to stop non-school religious clubs and groups. One Christian group met off campus and offered free donuts for students who joined their Bible study and prayer group, and atheists tried to stop them. So where are these same atheist groups when it comes to teaching and promoting Islam in public schools?
Surely, selective allowable discrimination is alive and well in New Jersey public schools. Parents and students have every right to be angry.

Democrats have insisted that recent town hall outbursts against Republican politicians occurred organically, likening them to the Tea Party, while President Donald Trump yesterday tweeted that the “so-called angry crowds in home districts of some Republicans are actually, in numerous occasions, planned out by liberal activists. Sad!”
The Town Hall Project, a group that serves as a one-stop shop of information for town hall protests across the country, is connected to a former Clinton staffer and is also closely affiliated with a number of liberal groups. The group, which has been referenced by media outlets on numerous occasions, bills itself as a “volunteer-powered, grassroots effort that empowers constituents across the country to have face-to-face conversations with their elected representatives.”
Jimmy Dahman, a former field organizer for the Clinton campaign in Iowa, founded the Town Hall Project. Dahman claimed on CNN that the town hall events are “all organic and happening at the grassroots level.” Dahman’s group is closely involved with MoveOn.org, a major progressive activist group that recently launched a website, called ResistanceRecess.com, to encourage activists to attend town hall events.
The Town Hall Project’s parent company is The Action Network, which was involved in demonstrations against Walmart and the protests in Ferguson.
The Action Network’s board of directors includes Mark Fleischman, a former vice president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU); Brian Young, who worked on campaigns for Howard Dean and John Kerry; Jeffrey Dugas, who worked for John Podesta’s Center for American Progress and Elizabeth Warren’s 2012 Senate campaign; and Rich Clayton, who worked for the SEIU and the shareholder activism arm of Change to Win, a labor group that describes itself as a “strategic organizing center.”
The Action Network is located at the same Washington, D.C., address as United We Dream, the “largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation.” United We Dream has received funding from liberal billionaire George Soros. It began organizing “sanctuary campus” anti-Trump protests shortly after the election. The Action Network also shares the same address as Change to Win, the labor organizing group. Change to Win’s leadership council is chaired by James P. Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Its secretary is Mary Kay Henry, president of the SEIU.
The Town Hall Project’s website refers readers to the Indivisible Guide, a “practical guide for resisting the Trump agenda.” The guide includes information on how to “organize local groups to fight for your congressional district” and “four local advocacy tactics that actually work.”
A Town Hall Project spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon that the Action Network is a service used to manage their list of volunteers and supporters and that the group would never pay any person to attend a town hall. They added that anyone is free to use their services.

nimo Bay, Cuba.“Does he not realize that a good many of these ‘detainees’ will just end up right back on the battlefield, looking to kill Americans,?” we said. And for some that did indeed occur.
Yet we do, or did, have something going for us – something we can hang our hat on. We can at least say we’re not Great Britain. As ill-advised as Obama’s Gitmo policy was, his judgment was still not as bad as England’s former Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
In 1994, British citizen, Ronald Fiddler, converted to Islam and changed his name to Jamal Udeen al-Harith, writes the Daily Mail.
In 2002, al-Harith was discovered in Afghanistan. After American forces captured him, “he denied being a terrorist and claimed to have been taken prisoner by the Taliban after visiting the Middle East as part of a ‘religious holiday.’” That’s where I always take my “religious holidays.”
The Americans didn’t buy his line of bull crap and shipped him off to another religious holiday at sunny Gitmo. Then the British government got involved. Prime Minister Blair charged his Home Secretary, David Blunkett with the task of lobbying the Americans hard for al-Harith’s release. The Bush White House relented and Jamal was freed two years later.
Oh, we haven’t got to the good part yet. Ready for it?

There were claims that it was hush money, so that he remain quiet about the “abuse” he suffered at the hands of Brits and Americans. Maybe they made him wear girl’s undies.
Al-Harith then married and had five children. Nothing much more is known of him, that is until he left the U.K. in 2014 and moved to ISIS controlled Syrian territory. In 2015, his wife and children travelled to Syria to join up with him – she claims to try to talk him out of the terrorist lifestyle and come home. She says she could not convince him to leave.
Although we don’t know where the wife and children are – the Daily Mail reports there last location is somewhere along the
Syrian-Turkish border – we definitely know what came of al-Harith.
On Tuesday a photo was released of al-Harith, who had changed his name to, or rather ISIS had given him the name Abu Zakariya al-Britani. He was photographed inside an SUV, with wires hanging down and red detonator button beside him.
A million pounds for that. Money well spent by Tony Blair and the British taxpayer. Congrats!

FILE: Sen. Susan Collins said on Wednesday she’s open to using a subpoena to investigate Trump’s tax returns for potential connections to Russia. (AP)

Collins was asked if the committee would subpoena Trump, who’s also a Republican. She said she hopes for “voluntary cooperation” but is open to using a subpoena if necessary.
“This is a counter-intelligence operation in many ways. That’s what our committee specializes in,” she said during the radio appearance. “We are used to probing in depth in this area.”
Trump’s refusal to disclose his tax returns is a break with presidential tradition. He has said he would be happy to release them after the completion of an Internal Revenue Service audit. Using a subpoena to get access to the tax returns would be a more aggressive move than members of Congress have taken on the subject so far. House and Senate leaders have thus far shown no interest in taking such a step.
Last week, House Republicans blocked an attempt by Democrats to use an obscure law to obtain the tax returns from the IRS. Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee tried to frame the issue as a matter of national security, questioning whether Trump has any investments in Russia.
Collins also said during the radio appearance that she and other intelligence committee members will call for former national security adviser Michael Flynn to testify before the committee. Flynn resigned following reports that he had misled officials about his contacts with Russia.
Collins said the committee is in the midst of a “broad investigation” about Russian interference and it’s too early to speculate about the results. She touted the “bipartisan” nature of the committee’s probe and pledged: “We will get to the bottom of this.”
A friend of mine just sent me the following email blast letter that outlines the deranged Left proposal for California.
For a very long time, our state has moved so far left, that we are lurching toward full socialism. With the chief socialist, Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, leading the way, we are forced into one social engineering program after another. Refusing to admit that California is bankrupt, he keeps spending taxpayer monies with reckless abandon.
Not satisfied with trying to become the only sanctuary State, now the Deranged Left think they can go into the health insurance business. Guided only by their muddled Socialist Left ideologies, they are convinced they can actually create a nirvana of idealism with other peoples money. As you read the dribble below, you’ll understand what I mean.
Have god Bless Day,
Jerry Broussard of WhatDidYouSay.org
California is leading the way again! As Republicans threaten to rob 30 million people of lifesaving health care, State Senators Ricardo Lara and Toni Atkins just introduced the Healthy California Act, which would guarantee health insurance for all of our 38 million residents!(1)
This is a game changer — health care for all would keep insurance companies honest, contain rising healthcare costs, and, most importantly, save lives. If it passes here, we’ll set an example that will spread to other states. Passing this bill won’t be easy. An army of health care industry lobbyists will use every dirty trick in the book to try to stop any threats to their employers’ bottom line. We can’t win without you — your voice and your energy — helping to power the fight. That’s why we’re inviting you to join us and the California Nurses Association TOMORROW, Thursday February 23 at 6pm PT for a strategy call. For years, Republicans have called for the death of the Affordable Care Act, with no meaningful plan to replace it. Now that they control both houses of Congress as well as the White House, they have the tools needed to gut the law, putting health care for millions of Americans in jeopardy. Protecting the Affordable Care Act must be our first priority. But for the first time, California could have the political will to provide a real public option that could bring a long-term solution to America’s healthcare crisis. And that solution is a health care plan that works for all: a single-payer system.

Damaged spillway at the Oroville Dam. (Facebook)

Citing a meteorological event known as an “atmospheric river” (AR), Pacific Standard Magazine is citing that one of those very same weather scenarios is headed straight for the mountains of Central California.
According to the American Meteorological Society, an atmospheric river is typically thousands of miles long, while a mere few hundreds of yards wide. A single AR is capable of carrying a greater flux of water than the Amazon River, the largest river on the planet.
Acting much like a baseball field backstop, the tons of water that constitute an AR will slam into the Sierras, then the very same water will flow back towards the coast, but instead of making it to the Pacific, the wet stuff will fill the hundreds of already swollen dams and reservoirs much like the Oroville Dam.
As also reported by Pacific Standard Magazine;
Heavy rains will continue on Tuesday, at which point serious problems could begin to emerge. The fragile Oroville Dam will again be tested, but dozens of other dams — like the one at Don Pedro Reservoir near Modesto — are also nearing capacity statewide and planning emergency contingencies.
By late Tuesday, the San Joaquin River — the main hydrologic thoroughfare of the vast Central Valley — is expected to exceed a level not seen since 1997, and then keep rising the rest of the week. The river is already in “danger” stage — the stage above flood stage when critical levees could begin to become compromised.
But here’s where things start to get a bit strange.
While the State of California is soothing frayed nerves by telling the world (cited above by the Sac Bee) that the water level at the Oroville Lake may be at 850 feet, all is well. After all, the Oroville Dam tops out at 900 feet.
Yet just a few short days ago the Los Angeles Times reported that “the Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary ban on flights around the Oroville Dam to allow emergency aircraft to operate safely.”
With both aircraft and drones banned until May 17, the government is claiming the ban is necessary due to work crews continuing “to conduct aerial surveys of the erosion on the emergency spillway.”
Speaking of erosion on the emergency spillway, San Francisco’s KRON published a rather terse report that five contract workers at the dam have been fired for posting unauthorized photos of the virtually destroyed spillway on social media;
Five Oroville Dam workers have been fired for violating a contract by putting pictures of the dam on social media.
The Department of Water Resources hires a contractor to work on the dam. The contractor hired was Syblon Reid.
This contractor has a strict “No social media, no photos policy” at every site they work on.
Some of the employees did not abide by their contract and posted pictures of the Oroville Dam emergency spillway online which is why five people were released.
As far as the state government is concerned, The Atlantic magazine reports that the maintenance and inspection records of the dam are spotty at best, Third World-ish at worst.
Provided the dam doesn’t burst, thusly threatening the lives of up to 200,000 Californians, the cost of repairs is estimated at between $100 million to $200 million. Once it’s dry enough to begin work, that is.
In the meantime, Gov. Jerry Brown has pumped $64 billion in a high speed rail system that opponents have dubbed a boondoggle that is in reality “the train to nowhere.”
The California State Senate has also passed a slew of bills sent to the governor for signature that would place the California taxpayers on the hook to protect the estimated 2.4 million illegal aliens residing in the Golden State.
Authored By: Bryan Fischer | Posted: Wednesday, February 22, 2017 10:40 AMThings weren’t always this way in America. I remember hearing an expression in elementary school that we almost never hear any more: “I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
Those of us on the right still say it and believe it. We are for open and free discourse and open and free debate. We
want everybody to have the opportunity to say their piece in the dialogue over things that matter, whether the topic is religion, homosexuality, marriage, politics, evolution, or the climate. We are eager to have a vigorous and open exchange over these matters and let the best arguments win.
The left isn’t. They are not interested in engaging in debate. They are interested in silencing debate, in stifling debate, in squelching debate. They are determined to muzzle anyone who would dare to question secular orthodoxy in any of these matters.
Those who believe in a scientific view of origins that is consistent with the Scripture must be silenced. Their views must not be allowed in the classroom or in polite society. Those who believe in natural marriage must be silenced and gagged since same sex marriage is now “the law of the land.”
Those who believe in two genders or sexes instead of 58, as Facebook believes, must be silenced and hounded out of public life, business, and politics. Those who believe in sexual normalcy must be punished and driven from campuses, from bakeries, from floral shops, from the offices and boardrooms of major corporations, and made to feel unwelcome in dressing rooms, shower rooms, and bathrooms.
This tyrannical repression of the free speech of those who represent the truth is a relatively new phenomenon in America, although it’s standard fare in repressive and totalitarian governments. But we are far from the first generation of truth proclaimers to face this challenge. The prophet Amos discovered in his day, 2800 years ago, that those who declare the truth will not be tolerated by those who hate the truth.
“They hate him who reproves in the gate, and they abhor him who speaks the truth” (Amos 5:10). The “gate” was the place where the people met to discuss matters, and where city leaders met to establish public policy. It was the marketplace and the public square. What Amos discovered is that those who declare the truth are not welcome there. If you want to reprove some public policy in the quiet of your own home, or maybe even inside the four walls of your church, well, we’ll let you do that. But say the same thing in the public arena, the left says, and we will land on your like a falling safe.
A lesbian activist once told me to my face, “I don’t care what you say or believe inside your own church. Your church belongs to you. But the public square,” she said ominously, “belongs to us.”
So what are we, as the people of God and as people of the truth, to do in the face of such hostility?
First, we are to keep praying. Amos discovered that God answers prayer and is willing to spare a nation which will not listen to us from his judgment just because believers plead with him to do it. When Amos received a vision of a coming invasion of locusts, he prayed, “O Lord God, please forgive! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!” The response? “The LORD relented concerning this; ‘It shall not be,’ said the LORD” (Amos 7:2-3).
When he received another vision in which the land was consumed with fire, he interceded again for his nation. “O Lord GOD, please cease! How can Jacob stand? He is so small!” The response? “The LORD relented concerning this; ‘This also shall not be,’ said the Lord GOD” (Amos 7:5-6). Our persistent prayer can be effective in staying the judgment of God over our land.
Second, we are to keep speaking. Don’t let anybody shut you up. (I’m not talking about being rude or obnoxious; I’m talking about being silent when we don’t need to be.) Amaziah tried to silence Amos completely. “Never again prophesy at Bethel, for it is the king’s sanctuary” (Amos 7:13). In other words, what you want to say is politically incorrect and so we’re not going to let you say it all.
Amos’ response? “The LORD took me from following the flock, and the LORD said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Now therefore, hear the word of the LORD” (Amos 7:15-16). In other words, Amos said, “I don’t answer to you, I answer to God. And he has told me to speak, and so I’m gonna speak. I will not let you silence me.”
When we are part of a conversation where others are advancing ideas that are contrary to what is good and right, it’s perfectly appropriate and perhaps even necessary for us to say something like, “Well, I hear what you are saying, but I look at it a little bit differently. Here’s the way I see it…”
Third, we are to keep believing. Believing that God can and will overcome all spiritual and earthly opposition and bring spiritual awakening and renewal to our land. In his time, he will use our praying and our speaking to “raise up the booth of David that is fallen, and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old” (Amos 9:11).
Amos’ final words are words of great promise and hope for a broken land. “I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them…I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted” (Amos 9:14-15).

But the Uni-Party can’t learn. The bureaucracy, the judiciary and congressional Republicans are all openly working for the “Resistance.” It’s President Trump against the world.
In Congress, the hate for Trump is personal. Not only did he throw a grenade into politicians’ little do-nothing club, but his very existence destroys their self-conception as people with a set of skills.
While Trump was making billions of dollars building skyscrapers, developing golf courses and starring on a hit reality TV show, members of Congress were slowly working their way up the political ladder — interning at think tanks and congressional offices, taking some small government job, then running for the House or Senate, and, hopefully, marrying a woman with a large inheritance.
A stunning number of senators and congressmen are supported by rich wives — Sens. John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Richard Blumenthal, John Kerry and Ron Wyden, and Reps. Michael McCaul, Scott Peters and Paul Ryan, to name a few. Is there any other profession with as high a percentage of men sponging off their wives’ inheritances?
Then a self-made billionaire came along, violated all the rules they had lived by, and swept aside more than a dozen experienced politicians just like themselves! Not only did Trump make his own money, but he beat them at the one thing they thought they knew how to do.
How else to explain Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s sneering dismissal of Trump’s request for an investigation into voter fraud, followed — one week later! — by McConnell’s assurance that the Senate would investigate former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s phone call to the Russian ambassador?
No, don’t investigate that! Why bother with the very foundation of democracy? How will these nitwit politicians win praise from The Washington Post without devoting all their energy to some current leftist fetish, like Russia? At least when liberals fixate on Russia, they have a clear subversive mission.
Congressional Republicans are just nincompoops. The only thing they know is: Imitate Reagan — from 30 years ago. It would make more sense for Republicans to demand that all air traffic controllers be fired for no reason than it is for them to keep treating Putin like it’s 1950 and he’s Stalin. (We know Putin isn’t Stalin because Democrats aren’t affectionately calling him “Uncle Joe” and spying for him.) If senators have time for hearings on Flynn’s discussions with the Russian ambassador, could they possibly squeeze in an afternoon to repeal Obamacare?
How about the campaign pledge that rocketed Trump to the White House? According to The Washington Post, at the GOP retreat last month, when Trump talked about using tax policy to help pay for the wall, Republicans expressed “confusion about what exactly he meant.” Are they retarded? (By “they,” I mean all Republicans in Congress, except Sen. Tom Cotton and about a half-dozen others.)
If Republicans had an ounce of self-respect, right after repealing Obamacare and writing a bill taxing remittances to make Mexico pay for the wall, they’d be impeaching the ridiculous Judge James Robart. Even lawyers who oppose Trump’s travel ban agree that Judge Robart made a complete ass of himself when he blocked the executive order.
The “Resistance” claims to be terrified that Trump will not be constrained by our Constitution, but they’re the ones who are perfectly willing to disregard the Constitution simply to stop Trump.
At least since the Chinese exclusion case of 1889, the Supreme Court has made blindingly clear that “the power of exclusion of foreigners” belongs to the political branches of government: Congress and the president — not to the judiciary.
The president’s authority to exclude aliens in the public interest has been reaffirmed in dozens of cases since then. Among them:
— Harisiades v. Shaughnessy (1952): “Any policy toward aliens is vitally and intricately interwoven with … the conduct of foreign relations, the war power, and the maintenance of a republican form of government. Such matters are so exclusively entrusted to the political branches of government as to be largely immune from judicial inquiry or interference.”
— Shaughnessy v. Mezei (1953): “Congress expressly authorized the President to impose additional restrictions on aliens entering or leaving the United States during periods of international tension and strife. … (The President) may shut out aliens whose ‘entry would be prejudicial to the interests of the United States.’”
— Mathews v. Diaz (1976): “(T)he responsibility for regulating the relationship between the United States and our alien visitors has been committed to the political branches of the Federal Government. … (Therefore, there is) a narrow standard of review of decisions made by the Congress or the President in the area of immigration and naturalization.”
— United States v. Valenzuela-Bernal (1982): “The power to regulate immigration — an attribute of sovereignty essential to the preservation of any nation — has been entrusted by the Constitution to the political branches of the Federal Government.”
— INS. v. Aguirre-Aguirre (1999): “(J)udicial deference to the Executive Branch is especially appropriate in the immigration context where officials ‘exercise especially sensitive political functions that implicate questions of foreign relations.’”
And on and on and on.
There are lots of constitutional questions that reasonable people can disagree about. Whether the president can exclude foreigners from seven terror-prone countries is not one of them.
But congressional Republicans are happy to ignore the Constitution, ignore the balance of powers, ignore written law, even to relinquish their own constitutional authority and let the courts run our foreign policy, just to be a part of the establishment’s STOP TRUMP movement.
Instead of neurotically fixating on Russia in some fantasy camp imitation of Reagan, circa 1982, what we’d like these worthless Republicans to do is: Imitate Trump — circa now.

Michael Farris, a veteran of the conservative movement, is the new president of Alliance Defending Freedom. (Photo: Alliance Defending Freedom)
For Michael Farris, the decision to lead one of the biggest organizations advocating religious liberty was motivated by thinking that threats to religious liberty were reaching a crisis point in America.
“If religious freedom falls, then other rights [will fall],” Farris tells The Daily Signal. “Free speech is going to fall, free press is going to fall, parents’ rights are going to fall.”
Farris has been named the new president, CEO, and general counsel of Alliance Defending Freedom, a legal defense organization launched in 1994 that works to safeguard religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family, according to its website.
Farris is no stranger to working for conservative causes. He was the founding president of both the Home School Legal Defense Association, a homeschooling advocate, and Patrick Henry College, a Christian college that promotes classical education.
Former Attorney General Edwin Meese III says he is “excited” about what Farris will do at ADF.
“He has done an outstanding job for the homeschool movement and education,” Meese, who serves as the Ronald Reagan distinguished fellow emeritus at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal in a phone interview. “As an educator and an innovator, he has been in the forefront of the successes in conservatism and building a civil society.”

Michael Farris has worked in the conservative movement since 1982. (Photo: MIKE CARDEW/AKRON BEACON JOURNAL)
As president of ADF, Farris says he will defend religious liberty, something over time he had become “more and more concerned about.”
Farris has used his law degree to serve as a constitutional appellate litigator. He has argued before the Supreme Court, eight federal circuit courts, and appellate courts in 13 states. Alliance Defending Freedom has represented Supreme Court cases pertaining to religious liberty, including Conestoga Wood Specialties v. Burwell, which took issue with the Obamacare mandate for employers to provide abortion coverage and abortifacients. ADF won the case.
ADF also represented Barronelle Stutzman’s case at the Washington Supreme Court. She is the owner of a flower shop in Washington state and is facing fines for violating Washington’s anti-discrimination law by declining to provide flowers for a gay wedding.
The organization has additionally represented Kelvin Cochran, a fire chief who said he was dismissed from his job because of his faith. Cochran had written a religious book that included his beliefs about sexual morality.
“Alliance Defending Freedom is leading the fight to ensure that Americans remain free to live their faith, not just inside a church or on holy days, but in all aspects of life, including at work, school, and in the public square,” said Jim DeMint, a former South Carolina senator who now serves as the president of The Heritage Foundation.
Early in life, Farris developed the belief that he needed to be involved in preserving America’s traditional values.
“I read some articles about the start of the Moral Majority,” Farris said. “And I was very interested in that and really got involved in those days. I saw the evangelical Christians that I had grown up with sitting silently on the sidelines and I knew that was a bad idea.”
Farris graduated from Western Washington University in 1973 with a political science major and received his law degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, in 1976. He then moved to the District of Columbia in 1982 to help open the office for Concerned Women for America, an organization that has become the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization. It was through Farris’ work for Beverly LaHaye, the founder of Concerned Women for America, that he became inspired to start the Home School Legal Defense Association, a “nonprofit ministry to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms.”
“When I was working for Concerned Women for America, the LaHayes had a television program for awhile and I was there with them at the studio,” Farris said. “One of the episodes was a guy talking about homeschooling. He cornered me … into homeschooling.”
Farris said that he went home to talk to his wife, Vickie, about the possibility of homeschooling their children. She agreed, and the couple spent over three decades teaching their 10 children.
“Our youngest now is at [the] University of Virginia getting a physics degree, [and] his next older brother is at Notre Dame getting a Ph.D. in biochemistry,” Farris said.
Had it not been for his decision to homeschool, Farris said he would likely not have started the Home School Legal Defense Association in 1983.
“We started homeschooling, and given what I was doing in the public policy and religious liberty world, I started getting a lot of calls from homeschoolers,” Farris said.
He founded the Home School Legal Defense Association to help unite homeschool families and offer them legal services and a supportive community, anticipating it would work “like a teacher’s union for homeschoolers—that, if they came and attacked one of us, that the whole movement would stand up and fight back.”
As Farris built a community of advocates for homeschoolers, parents began to ask him to recommend Christian colleges with high standards for their children. Not only did parents want a faith-based institution to send their children to, but they also wanted a college that would be intellectually stimulating with a focus on a classical education.
“They wanted [colleges] with real high academics,” Farris said.
Farris sought to meet that demand by founding Patrick Henry College in 2000.
“The first and only major originally was government and so getting people ready for law school, getting people ready for Capitol Hill was essentially the initial mission. But that quickly expanded once we saw all the benefits of the classical foundation, [and] it just blossomed into a whole bunch of other things over time,” Farris said.
Today, Patrick Henry College offers seven majors, including a major in strategic intelligence in national security, journalism, and history.
“Michael Farris was a great coach and teacher,” Megan Compton, a 2015 graduate of Patrick Henry College, told The Daily Signal in a statement.
“He led the school well and whenever he was on campus, he always took time to eat lunch with the students,” Compton said.
Greg Scott, the vice president of media communications for Alliance Defending Freedom, said Farris’ leadership will be well utilized as Alliance Defending Freedom enters “a time of dynamic growth under his leadership.” Scott said Farris’ past has equipped him for his new role.
“Michael has said that he has come here to win, and everything about what he has already accomplished indicates that he is [a] leader more than able to follow through,” Scott said.
Heritage Foundation’s DeMint is also optimistic about what Farris can do.
“ADF is a true American treasure and under the leadership of Michael Farris, it will continue to be an indispensable legal advocacy organization securing victories for our first freedom, as well as the sanctity of life, marriage, and families,” he said.
Farris said he will do all he can to protect religious liberty in his new position.
“When I was approached about applying for ADF … I just said, ‘I want to do what I can do to save our religious freedom,’” he said. “And leading ADF was about the best possible option to do that.”

religious freedom cardinal dolan
and action is sin is going out of vogue. Many in the field of Psychology and Psychiatry have switched their positions. Though just twenty years ago, the standard practice was to treat homosexual behavior as a mental defect, now it is not even legal to treat in some states. One of those states is Illinois.
A bill was signed into law in 2015 that prohibited the counselor from treating under aged people suffering from this defect. And this caused several pastors concern. These pastors sued wanting to ensure that they would not be prosecuted for doing their jobs.
A judge has finally all but guaranteed that they would not.
Christian News reports
A federal judge appointed to the bench by then-President Bill Clinton has ruled that an Illinois law banning mental health providers from providing help for homosexual youth to overcome temptation does not apply to pastors.
On Thursday, Judge Ronald Guzman dismissed the case, stating that the pastors’ “fears of prosecution are too remote to support standing.” He ruled that the work of clergy—although it involves counseling youth struggling with attraction to the same sex—cannot be considered a “trade or commerce.”
This should protect all clergy in the state who wish to help those suffering from this sin. They will be able to help those in their churches who want to be freed from these enslaving desires.
The ruling is a step forward in the area of freedom of expression and religion. It allows the clergy to deal with the issue as they believe it to be. If they are simply to do nothing while a child is still in development, then it is as if he has to operate in the worldview of the humanist until the child is grown.
Sin, like anything else, is habit forming. If allowed, unchecked to continue in the sinful patterns of our youth, the habit is much harder to break.
This will allow the pastor do the work of ministry.

Former President Barack Obama issued a controversial administrative rule in May 2016 extending Title IX protections to transgendered individuals, ensuring their right to use the bathroom they claim aligns with their gender identity. Had state-funded schools, colleges and universities not complied with the directive, it could put public institutions at risk of losing federal funding.
As a result, U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor temporarily blocked the Obama directive nationwide in August. In his ruling, O’Connor said Title IX “is not ambiguous” about sex being defined as “the biological and anatomical differences between male and female students as determined at their birth.”
Trump is going to bring back family values and Christian values to America again! It’s time this country to become conservative and normal again! We should stop with the promotion of liberal sick values, all that sick attitude, we have to be normal and sane and good people again!
No more transgender, gay, abortions, drugs, crimes, illegals etc… We have to have law and order, strong police, strong border, strong military, strong churches, more freedom, less socialism, less communism, less utopia, lower taxes, less regulation!
That is the Trump rule, that is the Trump philosophy, and we voted for that! And if he do that, America will be great again!

Employees have faced punishment, demotions and even termination due to their social media rants. In other incidents, social media has censored postings that weren’t in line with the agenda of the social media executives.
One such incident happened last September when one prominent social media site shut down the account of a conservative site with nearly 700,000 likes, because the site posted items that criticized Islam and homosexuality. The same social media site allowed highly negative and derogatory posts against Christians, Jews, Republicans and other conservatives.
In another incident, the father of a two-month old baby son turned to a social media site in a campaign to raise funds to help pay for heart transplant for his infant son. He used a photo and video of his helpless son in the hospital, connected to tubes and monitors. Then he received a notice from the social media site saying that his post was too gory and graphic and evoked a negative response, so they closed his account.
In 2012, Political Media Inc. President Larry Ward posted a meme on same social media site, on behalf of SOS, Special Operations Speaks is an organization comprised mostly of military veterans who want to help other former and active military personnel in many areas. He was informed by the social media site in a short time that they were pulling the meme from the posting. Ward reposted the meme and again it was pulled and he was given a 24-hour suspension from the social media site. He was told that the meme violated site’s Rights and Responsibilities terms. The meme was on behalf of the Navy SEALS which showed an image of Osama bin Laden with the caption – ‘Obama called the SEALs and THEY got bin Laden’. There was also an image of Barrack Obama with the caption – ‘When the SEALs called Obama, THEY GOT DENIED’.
So, what should happen to a Florida teacher who took to her social media page to rant about Christian students in her class?
According to a report:
“The school district is investigating a school teacher for
allegedly making disparaging remarks about her students on a closed Facebook page for local atheists.”
“Karen Tucker, a spokeswoman for Bay District Schools, said it is against school policy to criticize students either in person or on an Internet page.”
“In one of the posts, Susan Creamer, a teacher with Merritt Brown Middle School, states some of her middle school students ‘are taking turns either inviting me to church or leaving (anonymously) flyers inviting me to church events. … Every time any child sneezes, they loudly say ‘God Bless You!’ and look in my direction. I have complained twice to the principal — once last month and once today. She has spoken privately to one or two of the little cretins, but it seems to do NO GOOD’.”
“‘I am feeling bullied and harassed. It has become intolerable’.”

A spokesperson for the school district says that they are investigating the remarks that Creamer made on her Facebook page along with other posts. They also issued the following statement:
‘Teachers are encouraged and trained, to keep clear boundaries between their personal and professional lives to ensure that the classroom remains a neutral and supportive environment,’ the statement reads. ‘This training and related School Board policy includes guidelines for interactions on all social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook. We do not condone the use of disparaging comments about our students in any form, on any social media platform or in any school’.”
Again, I ask, what should happen to Creamer concerning her derogatory comments and name calling of Christians in her classroom? For one thing, she has no business teaching in a public school with that kind of attitude and animosity toward a specific group of students. No doubt, her atheist biases are most likely seeping into her class lessons with the purpose of persuading her students to believe as she does. Would you want your kids sitting in her classroom?

In Switzerland it has long been customary for students to shake the hands of their teachers at the beginning and end of the school day. It’s a sign of solidarity and mutual respect between teacher and pupil, one that is thought to encourage the right classroom atmosphere. Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga recently felt compelled to further explain that shaking hands was part of Swiss culture and daily life.
And the reason she felt compelled to speak out about the handshake is that two Muslim brothers, aged 14 and 15, who have lived in Switzerland for several years (and thus are familiar with its mores), in the town of Therwil, near Basel, refused to shake the hands of their teacher, a woman, because, they claimed, this would violate Muslim teachings that contact with the opposite sex is allowed only with family members.
At first the school authorities decided to avoid trouble, and initially granted the boys an exemption from having to shake the hand of any female teacher. But an uproar followed, as Mayor Reto Wolf explained to the BBC: “the community was unhappy with the decision taken by the school. In our culture and in our way of communication a handshake is normal and sends out respect for the other person, and this has to be brought home to the children in school.”
Therwil’s Educational Department reversed the school’s decision, explaining in a statement on May 25 that the school’s exemption was lifted because “the public interest with respect to equality between men and women and the integration of foreigners significantly outweighs the freedom of religion.” It added that a teacher has the right to demand a handshake. Furthermore, if the students refused to shake hands again “the sanctions called for by law will be applied,” which included a possible fine of up to 5,000 dollars.
This uproar in Switzerland, where many people were enraged at the original exemption granted to the Muslim boys, did not end after that exemption was itself overturned by the local Educational Department. The Swiss understood quite clearly that this was more than a little quarrel over handshakes; it was a fight over whether the Swiss would be masters in their own house, or whether they would be forced to yield, by the granting of special treatment, to the Islamic view of the proper relations between the sexes. It is one battle – small but to the Swiss significant – between overweening Muslim immigrants and the indigenous Swiss.
Naturally, once the exemption was withdrawn, all hell broke loose among Muslims in Switzerland. The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland, instead of yielding quietly to the Swiss decision to uphold the handshaking custom, criticized the ruling in hysterical terms, claiming that the enforcement of the handshaking is “totalitarian” (!) because its intent is to “forbid religious people from meeting their obligations to God.”
That, of course, was never the “intent” of the long-standing handshaking custom, which was a nearly-universal custom in Switzerland, and in schools had to do only with encouraging the right classroom atmosphere of mutual respect between instructor and pupil, of which the handshake was one aspect.
The Swiss formulation of the problem – weighing competing claims — will be familiar to Americans versed in Constitutional adjudication. In this case “the public interest with respect to equality” of the sexes and the “integration of foreigners” (who are expected to adopt Swiss ways, not force the Swiss to exempt them from some of those ways) were weighed against the “religious obligations to God” of Muslims, and the former interests found to outweigh the latter.
What this case shows is that even at the smallest and seemingly inconsequential level, Muslims are challenging the laws and customs of the Infidels among whom they have been allowed to settle [i.e., stealth jihad toward sharia dominance]. Each little victory, or defeat, will determine whether Muslims will truly integrate into a Western society or, instead, refashion that society to meet Muslim requirements.
The handshake has been upheld and, what’s more, a stiff fine now will be imposed on those who continue to refuse to shake hands with a female teacher. This is a heartening sign of non-surrender by the Swiss. But the challenges of the Muslims within Europe to the laws and customs of the indigenes have no logical end and will not stop.
And the greater the number of Muslims allowed to settle in Europe, the stronger and more frequent their challenges will be. They are attempting not to integrate, but rather to create, for now, a second, parallel society, and eventually, through sheer force of numbers from both migration and by outbreeding the Infidels, to fashion not a parallel society but one society — now dominated by Muslim sharia.
The Swiss handshaking dispute has received some, but not enough, press attention. Presumably, it’s deemed too inconsequential a matter to bother with. But the Swiss know better. And so should we.
There’s an old Scottish saying that in one variant reads: “Many a little makes a mickle.” That is, the accumulation of many little things leads to one big thing. That’s what’s happening in Europe today. This was one victory for the side of sanity. There will need to be a great many more.
This needs circulation far and wide.

In a February 17 letter to Wells Fargo CEO Timothy Sloan, de Blasio said he wanted to “express my deep concern about your involvement, and the involvement of other banks, in financing the Dakota Access Pipeline,” noting his concern is partly based on being a Mayor of a “coastal city threatened by climate change.” De Blasio claimed the pipeline would violate “human and tribal rights of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation” and would have “negative environmental consequences” to the land and water of the area.
“As someone with a leadership role in funds that are long-term investors in shares of your bank, I am profoundly troubled by the risks you are taking by involving your institution in this controversial project,” the liberal mayor of New York wrote. “Beyond the potential direct financial costs to the bank if Energy Transfer Partners is unable to repay the financing you have provided for the pipeline, I am apprehensive about the risks to your reputation.”
De Blasio stated three times in the letter that he is a person in charge of the funds of “long-term investors” with more than $165 billion in assets established to pay for the benefits of over 700,000 active and retired New York City workers. De Blasio suggested Wells Fargo reconsider its investment in the Dakota Access Pipeline and seek out and “finance profitable clean energy projects” instead.
New York is not the first city to seemingly threaten a bank connected to the financing of the much-debated pipeline. The Seattle City Council voted unanimously last Tuesday to cut banking ties with Wells Fargo, which would mean divesting $3 billion over the Dakota Access Pipeline.
President Donald Trump ordered the revival of both the Dakota Access and Keystone XL Pipelines in January when he first took office, a dramatic change in policy from his predecessor Barack Obama.
Following the Seattle vote, the Davis City Council in California dropped Wells Fargo as a means of protesting the pipeline. Other city governments that divested or are considering divesting from Wells Fargo over the pipeline include: Santa Monica, Calif., Iowa City, Iowa, Alameda, Calif., East Orange, N.J.

Last week, the same liberal mainstream media made a spectacle of a nationwide liberal protest called ‘Day Without Immigrants.’ It’s a clear example of how biased the liberal news is because nothing Trump has done even suggests that he’s against legal immigrants.
Thousands of American citizens, legal and illegal immigrants walked off their jobs and out of classrooms all across the nation in protest against Trump and his executive order. The mainstream media reported on the thousands of protesters and they reported on how some restaurants and other businesses closed for the day in solidarity with the Day Without Immigrants protest. Ironically, one restaurant fired 12 Hispanic workers for not showing up to work in order to take part in the protest. They now say it’s unfair that they were terminated, but no one looks at it from the perspective of the employer who has a restaurant to open and run. If workers are excused for just not showing up to work for what they believe to be a worthwhile cause, then how can any employer rely on his staff to show up any day? Liberals can find an excuse to protest every day, so how many days should employees be allowed to just not show up for work and leave the employer stranded?
Trump fully supports legal immigration and legal immigrants already here. His executive order to stop immigration and acceptance of refugees was only TEMPORARY in order to improve and tighten the vetting system used to screen legal immigrants and refugees. There are several examples of how the vetting system used by the Obama administration failed to keep out some individuals who should never have been allowed to enter the United States. I speak specifically of Tashfeen Malik and several others like her.

However, no one seemed to be reporting about the same thing happening during Obama’s presidency when his immigration officers made raids, arrested illegals and forced the closure of restaurants.
On October 18, 2016, less than a month before the November election, Immigration and Customs agents raided a number of restaurants where they arrested and detained a number of illegal aliens.
In Buffalo, New York, ICE agents entered the Agave Restaurant and arrested a 19-year-old cook named Sergio Roblero. He came to the US from Chiapas, Mexico on a work visa and then overstayed his work visa and never bothered to try to renew it. Consequently, he was arrested. Three of the ‘sister restaurants’ of Agave were also raided by OBAMA’s ICE agents leading to the arrests of 25 illegal aliens. Of the four restaurants raided by Obama’s ICE agents, only one has yet to reopen its doors for business. The other three remain closed.
But where is the mainstream media coverage of how the arrest of illegal aliens have resulted in the closing of businesses and loss of jobs and income for Americans, under the regime of Barack Obama? Why is the mainstream media feasting on similar things under Trump, but totally ignored the very same thing happening under Obama? When is the last time you heard the liberal mainstream media report that during Obama’s tenure in the White House, around 3 million illegals were arrested and deported?
Yet, the media is focusing on a few dozen arrests of illegals here and there under Trump, but ignored the 3 million arrests made under Obama. This is a clear example of the worst kind of journalism there is – biased, twisted and agenda driven instead of an unbiased reporting of the truth.

The early colonists arriving in America came largely seeking this right. In Europe, the governments consistently told them how to practice their faith, and punished them if they did not do what the government wanted; but the religious-minded colonists believed that no one but God could tell them how to practice their faith.
The Pilgrims journeyed to America in 1620 to escape the hounding government persecution in England, as did 20,000 Puritans in the 1630s. In 1632, government-persecuted Catholics fled to America; in 1654, persecuted Jews from Portugal; in 1680, persecuted Quakers arrived here, as did persecuted Anabaptists from Germany in 1683, 400,000 persecuted Protestants from France in 1685; and so forth. These settlers, having been punished for exercising their rights of religious conscience, promptly enshrined these rights in their own governing documents, including Rhode Island in 1640, Maryland in 1649, Jersey in 1664, Carolina in 1665, Pennsylvania in 1682, and so forth. As John Quincy Adams affirmed, “The transcendent and overruling principle of the first settlers of New England was conscience.”
In 1776 when America separated from Great Britain, the rights of religious conscience were once again promptly preserved in the new state constitutions and then in the federal Constitution. According to the Founding Fathers, this was one of the most important rights they protected:
“No provision in our Constitution ought to be dearer to man than that which protects the rights of conscience.” “[O]ur rulers can have no authority over such natural rights only as we have submitted to them. The rights of conscience we never submitted.” “It is inconsistent with the spirit of our laws and Constitution to force tender consciences.” Thomas Jefferson
“Government is instituted to protect property of every sort…Conscience is the most sacred of all property.” James Madison, Signer of the Constitution
“The rights of conscience and private judgment…are by nature subject to no control but that of Deity, and in that free situation they are now left.” John Jay, an Author of the Federalist Papers and original Chief Justice of the U. S. Supreme Court
“Consciences of men are not the objects of human legislation.” “The state [does not] have any concern in the matter. For in what manner doth it affect society . . . in what outward form we think it best to pay our adoration to God?” William Livingston, signer of the U. S. Constitution
Based on this long tradition, today . . .
It was because the rights of religious conscience were so important that they were specifically protected in the constitutions of the individual states—such as that of Washington, which declares:
Absolute freedom of conscience in all matters of religious sentiment, belief, and worship shall be guaranteed to every individual; and no one shall be molested or disturbed in person or property on account of religion . . .
But despite the clarity of this clause, we now get word that the Washington Supreme Court has ruled that Baronelle Stutzman, a devout and pious Christian florist… was bound by state law to use her artistic talents to design floral arrangements to celebrate what she viewed as an immoral event: a gay wedding. The pretext for overriding the florist’s rights to free speech and religious liberty was Washington’s so-called “public accommodations law,” which required the owner, Barronelle Stutzman, to provide goods and services to customers “regardless” of their sexual orientation.
First, Baronelle has been economically-fined and governmentally-coerced to use her talents and skills in a way that violates her sincerely-held religious beliefs.
Second, the explicit wording of the Washington State constitution has been completely ignored by the Washington State Supreme Court. In essence, a Washington state court has deemed the Washington state constitution to be unconstitutional, just because they don’t want to uphold its provisions.
Third, the court elevated a state law (their “public accommodations law”) above the state constitution; but constitutions always trump statutory laws—always.
Fourth, John Adams described us as “a government of laws and not of men,” but decisions like this make us just the opposite: the personal predilections of judges are now routinely placed above constitutional provisions duly enacted by the people.
Two centuries ago, Thomas Jefferson rejoiced that “the comparison of our government with those of Europe are like a comparison of heaven and hell,” but this happy distinction is now disappearing. Because of this ruling (and dozens more like it in recent years), America is becoming more and more like the tyrannical governments of Europe that millions of early colonists fled in order to be free from the government persecution of their inalienable rights of religious conscience.

A standard practice in federal government offices and military sites is to have an official portrait of the President of the United States (sometimes paired with one of the Vice President). An early step in the process of transition was the removal of the Obama/Biden portraits from installations and institutions.
When Obama took office in 2009, the federal government printed more than 130,000 official photographs of Obama and then-Vice President Joe Biden, many of which were hung in over 7,000 federal installations around the world. Some were made available for the public to purchase, according to the federal agency that printed them, now known as the U.S. Government Publishing Office.
The agency will print the new pictures once it receives them, along with instructions, from the General Services Administration (GSA), the federal agency that manages thousands of buildings and which, in turn, must wait for the White House to provide the photos. Spokesmen for both agencies told ABC News said they did not yet know the total number of photos that will be printed this year.
The official portrait of President Trump arrived at the local office, and there has been an epic battle between the small contingent of Trump-supporters in the facility and their more numerous anti-Trump colleagues ever since:

A very heartening aspect of this battle is that President Trump’s “honey badger” attitude is taking hold among the independent conservatives, Republicans, and disaffected Democrats throughout this nation are fighting back at the progressive protests in fun, creative ways. For those of you unfamiliar with the honey badger, it is known as the most fearless animal on the planet.
In a way, this fight underscores the point made by Washington Free Beacon‘s Matthew , who asks, “Who Rules the United States?”
sees a struggle between the nation’s voters and its bureaucrats:
…The last few weeks have confirmed that there are two systems of government in the United States. The first is the system of government outlined in the U.S. Constitution—its checks, its balances, its dispersion of power, its protection of individual rights. Donald Trump was elected to serve four years as the chief executive of this system. Whether you like it or not.
The second system is comprised of those elements not expressly addressed by the Founders. This is the permanent government, the so-called administrative state of bureaucracies, agencies, quasi-public organizations, and regulatory bodies and commissions, of rule-writers and the byzantine network of administrative law courts. This is the government of unelected judges with lifetime appointments who, far from comprising the “least dangerous branch,” now presume to think they know more about America’s national security interests than the man elected as commander in chief.
For some time, especially during Democratic presidencies, the second system of government was able to live with the first one. But that time has ended.
My suggestion is that if you have ever been in a federal office or other government location that previously showcased the official portraits of President Obama, check to determine if President Trump’s photos are now hanging there instead. If not, you know you’re probably in an office in which the employees believe they rule you rather than the other way around.

Admittedly, we don’t know enough about the culture to be sure that this is indeed a marriage… but I honestly cannot fathom what else this ritual might depict.
Watch and see for yourself.

I’ve watched the video a few times over and it’s clear that the central characters are the old man and the little girl… and that their seats on the bed are important as well.
The old man is cheered as he enters the room and then it seems that he is told to take a seat next to the young, obviously nervous girl.
I’ve tried to imagine any other reason for this video, for the commotion, or for the imagery, and I just can’t think of any other possibility.
The video reminds us that scenes like this (if it is the marrying off of a child bride) happen often in the Muslim world. Young girls are often given to older men – from their mid 20’s on up – and are expected to perform “wifely duties” because they are indeed wives, even as children. Islam sees nothing wrong with this; in fact the mass of Islam sees nothing wrong with pedophilia, slavery, rape, and other heinous and immoral activities. This is not some Islamophobic rant either — this is what the surveys of the Islamic world tell us.

The House of Representatives voted Thursday to rescind an Obama administration regulation blocking states from defunding Planned Parenthood.
TheBlaze previously reported that in the last days of former President Barack Obama’s administration, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a regulation restricting the ability of states to block “specific types of providers,” such as Planned Parenthood, from receiving Title X funds “based on reasons unrelated to their ability to provide required services in an effective manner.”
At the time, HHS said the rule would increase access to family planning services. Opponents of the regulation argued that it took away a state’s ability to decide where Title X funds are best spent. The House voted Thursday to overturn the regulation, 230-188.

“I think the wall and the demagoguery of patriotism are no match for the dignity and humanity of the American people,” López Obrador said during his rally.
The Mexican politician went on to praise California as “a refuge and blessing for immigrants,” and exclaimed “long live California,” to the cheers of the crowd.
The candidate added that Trump is “stirring up” Americans against Mexicans, according to a version of his speech published on his website.
“Donald Trump and his advisors have gained from stirring up members in certain sectors of U.S. society against immigrants and, particularly, those of Mexican nationality,” he said.
“When they want to build a wall to segregate populations, or when the word ‘foreigner’ is used to insult, denigrate and discriminate against our fellow human beings, it goes against humanity, it goes against intelligence and against history,” López Obrador told the crowd.

The candidate ended his speech by slamming Trump’s campaign phrase, “Make American Great Again.”
“Neither the United States nor the American continent come first. What comes first is to build here on this earth the kingdom of justice and universal brotherhood,” López Obrador concluded.

Authored by | Updated 17 Feb 2017 at 6:58 AMThis invisible war, as I am coming to see it, can be understood in the writings of Pascal (the Pensées), who describes the character of a person who has who set himself up as his own god: “He [or she] devotes all his attention to hiding his faults both from others and from himself. He conceives a mortal enmity against that truth which reproves him. He would annihilate it, but, unable to destroy it in its essence, he destroys it in so far as possible.”
This captures the essence of what is going off the boil in today’s public discourse generally, and particularly, as it shows itself by “progressives” on the Left and their repulsion of Donald J. Trump’s presidency. The shocking and exceedingly troubling incitement to violence and the raging intolerance is hardly progressive; it is rather quite regressive and, in some instances, barbaric.
There is no way to engage such disgorgement on intellectual or even logical grounds. These battles cannot be won on social media, nor arbitrated on late-night talk shows or (especially) cable news programs. In the best of all worlds, the battle might be met by each person, on all sides of the political spectrum, remembering God in a world that has forgotten him or deposed him.
The cynic responds: Good luck with that. Nevertheless, those of us who believe in God are not beholden to the cynics. We know God to be good, kind, generous, mysterious and — most vexing of all His attributes, unable to be fooled.
We live in a universe of players who live by cravings to be like God. “Each degree of good fortune that raises [them] in the world,” Pascal continues, “removes them farther from the truth, because they are afraid of wounding those whose affection is most useful and whose dislike is most dangerous.” The person or community that assumes the prerogatives of God or thinks to fool God encapsulates the greatest challenge of these times. This is especially true for those trying to navigate these difficult days as people of faith.
God does not wag His finger, contrary to the popular belief of some — and we, as His emissaries, are wrong to wag ours. He is good at exhibiting patience and practicing persistence, organizing His movements in perfect synchrony that open us to act freely and at the same time draw us irresistibly away from self-deception.
When I ask myself, What is the “truth” of our times that we, as God-bearers, are called to communicate — I come to see that the answer is quite simple: We must, like God, be good at exhibiting patience and practicing persistence. Beyond that, we (meaning humans) are well-served to remember that we are not God and it is best to leave His prerogatives to Him. (This includes determining who is or is not able to be used by God.) It is liberating if one can truly apprehend it.
I draw consolation from the words of Saint Francis of Assisi: “Since you speak of peace, all the more so must you have it in your hearts. Let none be provoked to anger or scandal by you, but rather may they be drawn to peace and good will, to benignity and concord through your gentleness. We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way.”
Ultimately, the challenge of our time is to impart this truth in a way that appropriately echoes God’s loving, aching heart.

“It’s wrong for the state to force any citizen to support a particular view about marriage or anything else against their will,” Kristen Waggoner, Stutzman’s attorney, wrote in a statement issued shortly after the ruling. “Freedom of speech and religion aren’t subject to the whim of a majority; they are constitutional guarantees.”
Apparently the Washington State Supreme Court disagrees. The decision comes after a lengthy legal battle, which began in 2013. A lower court had previously found Stutzman guilty and fined her, but she appealed the decision. With the Washington State Supreme Court’s decision, the only option left is to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, something which Stutzman’s lawyer said would be done immediately following the decision.
The Left is hailing the decision as some sort of victory for equal rights and justice. “By ruling that intolerance based on sexual orientation is unlawful, the Court affirmed that Washington state will remain a place where no one can be discriminated against because of who they love,” Washington Gov. Jay Inslee said in a written statement.
Others, however, say the ruling is a gross miscarriage of justice which intentionally distorts the law in order to suppress Christians and their beliefs.
“Americans were told repeatedly that redefining marriage would have little impact on their lives. Yet now courts are seeking to drive families from their businesses — and now today even their homes as the result of crippling government imposed fines designed to force them to deny their faith,” said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins in a prepared statement.
“Barronelle knew her customer and friend identified as gay, yet happily served him for years; she just didn’t want to be involved in his wedding. But the ACLU and the Washington State government couldn’t stand this, and decided to make an example out of her,” Perkins said.

Trump’s Chance to Influence the Judiciary for Decades President left 118 federal court vacancies to stock with a new generation of conservative jurists
The Left has blurred the distinction between refusing to serve an individual because of his sexual orientation and refusing to do business with an individual in one specific instance because one does not agree morally with what that individual plans to do with the product.
“The Washington State Supreme Court’s ruling tramples on our nation’s long-held tradition of respecting the freedom of Americans to follow their deeply held beliefs, especially when it comes to participating in activities and ceremonies that so many Americans consider sacred,” Perkins said.
“Cultural elites may succeed in convincing judges to strip away the livelihoods of people but the elites continue to face a losing battle at the ballot box and in the court of public opinion.”

Davi begins by explaining that he is concerned with the violent response to almost anything President Trump says or does. He then explains that he’s particularly troubled by the response to the President’s recent travel “pause” on migrants from 7 majority Muslim nations. Davi explains that supports immigration and that he himself is the son of immigrants who came “legally” to the United States to give their children the opportunity to have better lives than they did.
However, he believes that illegal immigration is wrong and should be prosecuted as the crime it is. He reminds his fellow Hollywood stars that there are thousands of illegal immigrants currently living in the USA whose nations won’t allow them to be repatriated because they are criminals. He also mentions that many of his liberal colleagues have spoken out in support of the millions of illegal immigrants currently living in our nation illicitly, and he urges them to act on their rhetoric and do the right thing… invite them into their homes, their parties, and their awards shows.
It is now in this spirit that I make an appeal to all in Hollywood and the media for us to use the Oscars to take a stand for the entire world to see and hear. It is time for Hollywood to lead the way.
I propose that Meryl Steep, Chelsea Handler, Richard Gere, Robert DeNiro, Christoph Waltz and others lead an Oscar first: let’s do away with the rules, barriers, and tickets to the Oscars and after-parties, such as the swanky Vanity Fair party or the Weinsteins’ star-studded affair. I ask all migrants, all illegal immigrant criminals and all un-vetted refugees to converge on Hollywood to come to the Oscars and all the after-parties, even those held at the mansions or the Chateau Marmont or anywhere else. After all, we in the Hollywood community want to show all Islamic extremists that we have love in our hearts — and what better way to do that than by inviting them along on our most important night?
It’s time the walls and electronic security gates come down. There are roughly 3,600 seats to the Oscars; we should have at least 2,500 seats reserved for illegal aliens, refugees and migrants, or maybe even more. For those celebrities skipping the ceremony, each should invite at least 100 illegal aliens, refugees or migrants to come to their home to watch the Oscars with them. The Academy and the Vanity Fair people should also get the 150 criminals who have recently been deported from Los Angeles and bring them to the show as honored guests.
Davi then turns his rhetorical attack on these liberal hypocrites by wondering why they were SILENT when President Obama did the same thing that President Trump is currently doing. He wondered if Hollywood was racist, and why they wouldn’t protest when Christians were being slaughtered but they would protest when a Muslim wasn’t allowed to travel into our nation. It would seem that the murder of Christians should be a greater outrage than a simple travel “pause.”
The entire letter is fabulous and Mr. Davi should be applauded for speaking out in such a brave fashion. We need more Robert Davis in Hollywood and fewer Meryl Streeps.

Reporting on Obama’s scandals “was a full-employment act for me over the last eight years!” Malkin said.
Malkin noted that the Obama administration had four nominees withdraw their nominations in the first 100 days, based on everything from tax problems to national security problems.
“Obama had nominated a national intelligence head who was a Saudi-funded shill!” Malkin claimed. Where was the mainstream media then?
Malkin also discussed the “ripping families apart” narrative of the “open-borders media,” which have been slandering President Trump and his immigration policies. But as big a problem that illegal immigration and crime is in America, Malkin made sure to note that refugees “exploiting their so-called political and economic persecution status” is an absolute crisis throughout Europe.
There are nine episodes coming up on CRTV’s “Michelle Malkin Investigates,” she told the “Fox & Friends” crew. And that includes a look into the atrocious rape refugee crisis going on in Europe that “no one wants to talk about,” said Malkin.

She wasn’t.

Roe, whose real name was Norma McCorvey, died Saturday in Texas of a heart ailment. She was 69.
In an ad from 2008, as the Catholic News Agency noted, McCorvey detailed her change of views on abortion after she became a Christian in the mid-1990s.
It wasn’t the first time she’d spoken about her pro-life perspective.
She detailed her journey over the years from abortion advocate to pro-life activist in that testimony, in which she mentioned the baby she ultimately chose not to abort:
McCorvey was, to understate it, an unlikely pro-life activist. But her own conversion on abortion gives hope that other Americans will follow in her footsteps.
