The Left’s Use of Intimidation to Silence Christians

Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann, who was lambasted after smiling in a viral video at a Native American activist, went on the “Today” show Wednesday to defend his reputation. (Photo: “Today” show)

If you’re Christian, shut up. That’s been the unmistakable message of our current culture in recent weeks.

Karen Pence has been lambasted for her decision to teach at a Christian school. Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, after asking a judicial nominee about his membership in the Catholic Knights of Columbus, has tied the organization to the alt right.”

And a group of teenage Catholic schoolboys waiting for a bus at the March for Life, who didn’t know the mob-approved way to handle a Native American activist walking up to them, are fighting for their reputations.

Of course, this isn’t really about Karen Pence, or judicial nominee Brian Buescher, or the Covington Catholic High boys. It’s about intimidating everyone else.

It’s telling the husband or wife of an up-and-coming lawmaker that if they want to teach at a school, it’s probably better they choose a non-Christian one, unless they want their spouse someday ensnared in a media cycle over LGBT discrimination.

It’s telling the law student who dreams of someday becoming a judge that no matter how appealing he finds joining a Catholic charitable organization, it’s probably better for his career ambitions if he doesn’t.

And it’s telling schools and students and parents that no matter if they are willing to deal with the expense and trouble of hauling dozens or hundreds of students to Washington, D.C., on buses and having them sleep on gym floors, it still might not be a good idea—because the students’ future reputations, careers, and college prospects could all be gone with one viral video.

No, that wouldn’t happen if the students came to Washington to fight for gun control or raise awareness of climate change.

Just if they’re there to speak up for the babies who can’t.

When President Donald Trump was elected—in a shock for conventional D.C. wisdom—it become obvious that there were plenty of silent Americans who, in the privacy of the ballot box, dared to defy the politically correct, woke cultural leaders of our time. But it’s not enough to vote.

I’m glad Karen Pence, the vice president’s wife, isn’t backing down and resigning. I’m thrilled Brian Buescher is remaining a member of the Knights of Columbus, and that Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., introduced a resolution saying there’s nothing wrong with a judge being in the Knights. I’m heartened that the Covington students are fighting back, and saying they did nothing wrong.

But they can’t do this all on their own.

About 70 percent of Americans are Christian, according to the Pew Research Center. They—and everyone who believes in religious freedom—need to start speaking up.

You don’t have to agree with Buescher’s judicial philosophy to say that in the United States, there should be no religious test for judges.

You don’t have to have attended a Catholic school or be pro-life to say that a group of teen boys being awkward around an activist—an activist who later that weekend tried to bring a group of protesters to disrupt a Catholic Mass at the basilica in D.C.—should not be a news story, much less a reputation destroyer.

You don’t have to agree with Immanuel Christian School’s faith tenets to defend Karen Pence’s right to choose the school where she wants to teach.

You know what breeds intolerance? Silence. It’s easy for someone to kvetch about the Covington boys or mock the second lady as a bigot at the water cooler if he has no reason to believe any other colleague will speak up. We need to take a lesson from the left’s playbook.

Here’s what liberals do really well: They share their stories. And they make it personal. We need to do the same.

Did your son or daughter go to the March for Life? Talk about it. Share how proud you were that they cared enough about the lives of unborn babies to be on a bus for 20 hours and sleep on a crowded gym floor.

And share how scared you are that they, too, could become targets of social media activists and mainstream media because they didn’t know the appropriate public relations strategy to deal with a protest.

Does it make you feel like an alien in your own country that what you hear from the pews on Sunday could make you ineligible to do certain jobs in our system? Express that anxiety. Tell the truth about how you don’t like being treated like a second-class citizen in your own nation.

Are you appalled that your mom’s job at a Christian school could get her branded as a bigot? Say that. Share the facts: Plenty of Christian denominations adhere to 2,000 years of sexual morality, and demand no sex outside of marriage—whether you’re straight or LGBT.

If we keep talking, things will change.

Because people know that if their colleague Kelly is pro-life, or their hair stylist Melissa is Christian, or their neighbor Bob teaches at a Christian school, they will think twice. That doesn’t mean they will agree with Kelly or Melissa or Bob. But it does mean they will realize it’s unfair to assume all pro-lifers hate women, or that all Christians hate LGBT people. They will realize it’s more complex than the woke leaders of social media say it is. And then we can have real discussions and real dialogues, person to person.

I get that it’s hard. I’m often more of a coward than I’d like to be—even with the job security of working at a conservative news outlet. It’s hard to speak up sometimes, especially if you’re scared people will judge you or there will be hidden consequences—promotions that never occur, networking that abruptly stops.

But we don’t have a choice.

Right now, thought leaders in the United States are working overtime to make it clear: Stand up for your Christian beliefs, your pro-life beliefs—and you will pay.

But we can rise up, too.

If there’s one thing we should have learned in this era of Trump, it’s that standing up to bullies works. And we need to—because there’s nothing American about a future where holding certain religious beliefs makes you a second-class citizen.

Today’s Ann Coulter Letter: “Break Ground, Not Promises”

Commentary by Ann Coulter | Posted: Jan 23, 2019 6:45 PM

Break Ground, Not Promises

Source: AP Photo/Daniel Ochoa de Olza

As days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and months turned to years, and not 1 inch of the wall was built, the “3-D chess” crowd dwindled.  Sometimes Trump would concede he hadn’t built any part of the wall. Sometimes he would fib and claim it was being built. There’s no way to sugarcoat it: That was a lie.

Drug dealers, drunk drivers, criminals, welfare dependents and low-wage workers driving down American wages continued to flow across our border.  We are now past the midway point of Trump’s first term, maybe his only term. If Trump couldn’t come up with a legislative fix when he controlled both houses of Congress, he’s sure not going to now that he’s lost the House.

We are headed for another failed Republican presidency.

President George H.W. Bush promised, “Read my lips, no new taxes” — then raised taxes. President George W. Bush promised that America would not be “the world’s policeman” — then turned the United States into the world’s policeman.

Whether these promises weren’t kept out of bad faith, incompetence or changed minds is of no consequence. That will be a minor footnote for future historians to debate. All that matters is that it didn’t happen. That’s why Trump got elected.

But he still hasn’t started the wall.

By now, my erstwhile critics are getting the point. But I’m not sure the president is — a few weeks ago, he unfollowed me on Twitter. Trump seems to be mystified about what he needs to do to maintain the support of his most devoted backers. He’s saying the right things, isn’t he? He’s holding press conferences, giving Oval Office addresses and tweeting that he wants a wall.

Here’s what you haven’t done, Mr. President: You haven’t broken ground. You want your supporters back? BREAK GROUND TODAY.

You know those caravans marching north toward our border? They’re not giving speeches about how they’re coming north. They’re not tweeting about how they’re coming north. They’re not giving Oval Office addresses about how they’re coming north.

They’re coming north.

What you need to do today — not after the State of the Union address, not after the next GOP retreat, not after another meeting with the Democrats — is to start rolling construction trucks to the southern border.

When Obama wanted something done, he did it. After spending two years saying he didn’t have constitutional authority to amnesty Dreamers, he issued an executive order amnestying Dreamers.  Obama has a legacy — a terrible legacy, but a legacy nonetheless. We’re still living with that executive order today.

By contrast, Mr. President, you do have constitutional authority to defend the nation’s borders, as you have noted repeatedly. But you’ve chickened out. The only edifice you have built is constructed of tweets, press conferences and speeches.

Ironically, Obama was a man of action. The New York real estate tycoon is just a man of words.

Words don’t stop caravans. No one rushes to a caravan saying — WAIT! STOP! TRUMP IS ABOUT TO TWEET!

Are you sure you want to make a dangerous 700-mile journey through cartel-infested lands when you know that as soon as you get to the U.S. border, there could be a Donald Trump tweet awaiting you?

Obama assumed dictatorial powers, bypassing Congress to issue laws from the Oval Office. You would just be doing your job, Mr. President. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

The most fundamental responsibility of the U.S. president is to protect the nation’s sovereignty. It is not to ensure the safety of the Kurds or the Syrian Christians or Pakistani goat herders, but to ensure the safety and security of the American people. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

The Senate’s latest omnibus spending bill provides “not less than $15,000,000” for border security — in Pakistan. The border security of our own country has become a joke. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Yesterday people crossed our border who will kill Americans. Today there are people crossing our border who will kill Americans. And tomorrow there will be more people crossing our border who will kill Americans. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

It’s great that you met with the Clemson football team, but while you were doing that, people were crossing the border who will kill Americans. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Countless presidents and presidential candidates have vowed to stop illegal immigration. Good intentions, bad intentions — it doesn’t matter. They didn’t keep their promises. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Fifty years from now, an American family will pile into the car to see the country and, while motoring by the Texas border, will slam on the brakes. Oh look, honey, here’s a historic site! They’ll blow the dust off a small plaque on a garden trellis that will read: “On this site, President Donald Trump built the impregnable southern border wall.”

Stanley, you have to step to the left — you’re blocking the whole thing!

There will be plenty of room in the Trump Presidential Library for the entire border wall, because the library will contain only two books, “The Art of the Deal,” and Trump’s follow-up book, “Never Mind.” BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Emergency powers or no emergency powers, on tomorrow night’s news we want to see helicopters circling the trucks headed to the border. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

They have a caravan; you have a caravan. They’re heading north; you head south. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Cost: People who don’t like you will continue not to like you. Benefit: Your legacy will be — He kept Americans alive who would otherwise be dead. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

We’ve heard your speeches. We know you understand the crisis, and you know what needs to be done. But none of that will mean anything if you don’t take action — not in a month, not in a week, but today. BREAK GROUND TODAY.

Bombshell: WaPo Issues Nathan Phillips Correction, Says Never Served in Vietnam

Reported By Ben Marquis | January 22, 2019 at 5:13pm

After an incident involving Covington Catholic High School students following Friday’s March for Life in Washington D.C., an Native American activist and black supremacist protesters became emblematic of “fake news” complaints that have been lodged against the establishment media for decades.

Starting with a short snippet of video featuring the Native American activist — identified as Omaha tribe elder and Marine Corps veteran Nathan Phillips — banging a drum and chanting while locked in a standoff with a smiling young teen wearing a red MAGA hat, the media ran wild with accusations of racism and harassment against the elder by the students who had purportedly approached and surrounded him in an intimidating display of white privilege and social oppression.

Except, having rushed to judgment without waiting for all of the facts, much of the media was forced to walk back their initial reports by Sunday after other, longer videos emerged that painted an entirely different picture. It was the boys who had been harassed by the black supremacists and approached by Phillips, not the other way around, as had been implied at first.

The media had sought to demonize the students and portray Phillips as a victim, and countless outlets — including The Washington Post — reported that the abuse from the boys was extra terrible in light of the fact that Phillips was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War.  Except, the media has had to walk back that claim as well, as it has now been revealed that Phillips never served in Vietnam, though it is still maintained that he served as a Marine during the same time period.

The Washington Post issued a correction on Tuesday about Phillips to the hit piece against the MAGA hat-wearing boys that was first posted on Sunday morning. That correction reads: “Earlier versions of this story incorrectly said that Native American activist Nathan Phillips fought in the Vietnam War. Phillips served in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1976 but was never deployed to Vietnam.”

This is yet another huge factual error within the larger array of mistakes in the story that the media got wrong at first glance. It doesn’t appear that Phillips ever specifically described himself as a combat veteran — though he certainly remains fair game for criticism for his distorted version of events in several interviews following the incident. Yet, despite Phillips having never specifically said he was a combat veteran of the Vietnam era, that was most definitely insinuated — both implicitly and explicitly by some — in countless reports and tweets from media outlets and reporters.

CNN transcripts from their interview with Nathan Phillips say that he said he was a Vietnam War veteran, but the video interview shows him saying he is a “Vietnam times veteran.”

The folks over at a veteran-focused blog known as This Ain’t Hell took a closer look at the circumstances surrounding the media’s portrayal of the self-described “Vietnam times veteran.”

Without Phillips’ military service records to verify — that have been requested — the blog nevertheless proceeded to display several screenshots of media chyrons and tweets announcing Phillips as a war vet, again clearly implying that he had served in the conflict.

The blog further dug into several interviews of Phillips and even looked into old media accounts of Phillips from prior incidents over the years and found no evidence that he had ever described himself as a combat veteran, but did find several instances where potentially “over-zealous” reporters had assigned that specific honor to him.

On top of that, the blog also looked closely at his age — reported to be 64 — and compared that to the actual timeline of the Vietnam War. Phillips would have turned 18 right around the tail-end of the war in 1972/73, so there is only an exceptionally small window with little margin for error to account for his having graduated from high school, enlisting in the Marines, as well as graduating from basic training and additional training schools prior to being immediately shipped off to the war zone, were he to have actually served in the war.

Again, without his actual service records to provide verification, there is really no way to know for sure, but odds are Phillips served in the Marines during what is called the Vietnam era — which officially ended in 1975 — without having served in the combat zone.

To be sure, we here at Conservative Tribune are not knocking Phillips for his military service. Indeed, we commend him for his service and sacrifice to the nation, regardless of whether he served overseas or at home, during a time of war or peace.

Instead, we are throwing a sharp elbow in the direction of the mainstream media — especially The Washington Post — and all of the reporters who perpetuated the implication that he was a Vietnam War veteran who had actually fought in the war, which appears to have not been the case at all.

This was a story made huge by the media in large part because it was deceptively framed to fit the preconceived notions of liberals by portraying a Native American activist as an oppressed victim and a bunch of white, MAGA hat-wearing Catholic school boys as privileged aggressors, which was pretty much the opposite of what actually happened. The media should be ashamed of themselves, and minor corrections and half-hearted apologies aren’t going to cut it in making things right this time.

Hey Media(D): Some Things Don’t Add Up With Your Little Drummer Provocateur’s Dubious ‘Vietnam Service’

Written by Wes Walker on January 22, 2019

The Media shamed the Covington kids for ‘mocking a Vietnam Vet’ … did they get THAT part of the story wrong TOO?

Nathan Phillips is back in the media spotlight. Again. This time it’s over that drumming incident where he walked up to fifteen-year-old Nick Sandmann and stared him down while Nick smiled awkwardly, not sure of Phillip’s intentions.

His intentions, we learned later, were to run to the press (more than once) and complain about how he had been victimized by those MAGA-hat wearing teens. Except he had to keep changing his story in light of more video evidence about the actual event.

But for a full day, the Media and Blue-check Twitter warriors piled on the poor kids, calling for (so to speak) their heads on a platter. But they DID call for acts of specific violence, doxxing, expulsion and harm to relatives places of business. Some even waxed lyrically about how they wouldn’t object to the school burning down with all the kids in it, or a school shooting in THAT school. All because a protester walked up to a kid in a red cap and started banging a drum.

Even we made the mistake of at least giving a Veteran the benefit of the doubt, and believing that he may have an explanation for what was going on here other than malice. Judging by liberal his use of playing the victim and his willingness to dramatize and exaggerate the incident to make himself out to be a hero standing in front of dangerous people.

They were in the process of attacking these four black individuals,” Phillip said. “I was there and I was witnessing all of this … As this kept on going on and escalating, it just got to a point where you do something or you walk away, you know? You see something that is wrong and you’re faced with that choice of right or wrong. ”

Phillips said some of the members of the Black Hebrew group were also acting up, “saying some harsh things” and that one member spit in the direction of the Catholic students. “So I put myself in between that, between a rock and hard place,” he said.

But then, the crowd of mostly male students turned their anger towards Phillips.

“There was that moment when I realized I’ve put myself between beast and prey,” Phillips said. “These young men were beastly and these old black individuals was their prey, and I stood in between them and so they needed their pounds of flesh and they were looking at me for that.”

The crowd of students, some of whom wore MAGA caps, mocked Native Americans while chanting “Build the Wall” and using derogatory language, he said. The students had a “mob mentality” that “was scary,” Phillips said. “It was ugly, what these kids were involved in. It was racism. It was hatred. It was scary.”

Speaking from his niece’s home, Phillips said: “I’m a Marine Corps veteran and I know what that mob mentality can be like. That’s where it was at. It got to a point where they just needed something for them to … just tear them apart. I mean, it was that ugly.”

Phillips said he recalled “the looks in these young men’s faces … I mean, if you go back and look at the lynchings that was done (in America) … and you’d see the faces on the people … The glee and the hatred in their faces, that’s what these faces looked like.”
Source: ChicagoTribune

We’ve got a couple of observations here, (other than the parts that have already been completely refuted by the video)…

The ‘Beast and Prey’ thing doesn’t check out… at all, so he’s a liar right from the beginning. And the ‘Black Hebrew’ cultists were hurling insults at both the MAGA-hat wearing kids AND (before that) some of the Native activists, too, including saying Indian meant ‘savage’, which was funny when a scholar in their midst set straight on the history of the term.

And Covington lawyers could have a field day with the way he is still demanding expulsions of the teenage boys whose reputation smearing with a literal equivalent to lynch mobs.

And because he’s Native, people are expected to walk on eggshells about calling out any lies, lest they be condemned for racism in the process. Truth is, if we had lower expectations of his honesty and integrity than anyone who ISN’T Native, THAT would be racist.

He’s got the same expectation of integrity as anyone else. And he invoked his military service as to how he knew what a mob mentality looked like. He invoked it again in the CNN interview that was so scathingly judgmental of the High School students:

And it’s because I’m a veteran — I’m a Vietnam veteran — that these two groups even have the right in this country to have protests, to have conflicting opinions. CNN

The guy who claims to have defended their right to free speech sure didn’t think very highly in that interview of their right to actually EXERCISE it, does he?

Moving on…

Which military service, precisely, was Phillips referring to? Is he claiming to have seen something ‘Winter-Soldier-y’ in Vietnam?

Hollywood has gone a long way to tagging the entire American Military Service in Vietnam with a reputation of an unruly mob, rather than treating as specific disreputable incidents those darker moments of history. (Thank you, John Kerry.)

All the leftist sites piling on to praise Phillips and denounce Nick Sandmann made a point of referring to Phillip’s military service. But they didn’t just call it MILITARY service, they called him a Vietnam vet, which made the alleged disrespect the MAGA-hats gave him so much more heinous.

But IS he a Vietnam vet?

Weasel words are often a BIG red flag with this sort of thing, especially when we already have valid reasons to doubt the man’s honesty.

What was the quote?

A careful reading of Mr. Phillips‘ own descriptions does not make clear if he ever set foot in Vietnam. Instead, he has used much more careful language claiming he is a “Vietnam times veteran,” an ambiguous phrasing that led many media accounts to conclude he was a combat veteran.
Source: WashingtonTimes

Ask Dick Blumenthal whether there’s a difference between serving DURING that period of time and serving IN Vietnam. He could tell you that the public doesn’t take kindly to having their heartstrings abused.

What ELSE has he said about Vietnam?

He raised a wooden staff adorned with nine eagle feathers in the air as he addressed his security team, volunteers who had stepped back into familiar roles guarding gates at camp. They were outfitted in head-to-toe camouflage, masked by bandanas printed with the word Resist, and bearing walkie-talkies. “I have a relative here who said he’d lead the way and scout ahead for us,”Phillips continued, his voice breaking. “You know, I’m from Vietnam times. I’m what they call a recon ranger. That was my role. So I thank you for taking that point position for me.” — Source: Democratic Underground

We have enough readers with military experience that we can let them fight over whether there is any way for a Marine to call himself a ‘Recon Ranger’ without being completely full of Sh-t. But did he actually set foot in ‘Nam?

The math doesn’t look right. Born in 1955, the earliest he could have enlisted would be at the age of 17… in 1972. What was happening in Vietnam in 1972? As far as a new recruit was concerned, not much.

According to multiple news accounts, the activist is 64 years old, which means he would have been 18 years old in 1973, the last year any U.S. combat units were stationed in Vietnam. Mr. Phillips also claims to be a Marine veteran, although the last Marine combat units left Vietnam in 1971. — Source: Washington Times

From The Marine Corps Official History:

But by the end of 1970, more Marines were leaving than arriving as replacements. On 14 April 1971, III MAF redeployed to Okinawa, and two months later the last ground troops, the 13,000 men of the 3d MAB, flew out from Da Nang.

Although Marine combat units were no longer in Vietnam, Marine advisors remained to assist the South Vietnamese. During the North Vietnamese 1972 Easter Offensive, Marine advisors played a pivotal role in repelling the Communist attacks. Captain

Ok…

So, about this guy who had been wearing the ‘Resist’ Bandana who picked a fight with a gaggle of MAGA-hat wearing Teens… … if he never set foot in Vietnam, why is he very carefully wording himself as a ‘Vietnam Era’ Veteran, while talking about ‘Mob Mentalities’ that he has supposedly seen, and claiming to have been a “Recon Ranger’ who scouts ahead?

There are a LOT of holes in this professional protester’s story, and he’s not taking calls from anyone who might ask him the hard questions. Maybe someone in the ‘Mainstream’ media can make up for wrongly shaming those kids over ‘disrespecting a veteran’ by finding out what his REAL service record looks like? Is this someone who served in peacetime but wants the respect given to those whose lives were in real danger? Was he honorably discharged? Did he even serve at all?

He’s the one who is bringing attention to his service record. If he weren’t lying about other things, we wouldn’t have even noticed the inconsistencies. Now he has us wondering if he was lying about that too.

If anyone has answers, we’d sure like to hear them.

Dear ‘Media’: Why No Interest In The VILE Black Hebrews And Their Racism & Homophobia?

Written by Wes Walker on January 22, 2019

It had all the makings of a good old-fashioned media scandal, but for some reason, the media avoided it like the plague. Imagine a much-hated activist group, maybe Westboro Baptist, picking a fight with a Native group and calling them savages. Now imagine them turning on teenage kids who had the misfortune of standing nearby, hurling racial insults at them before calling them F-gg-ts, and the children of incest. Imagine them trying to whip up that hatred in other bystanders — including the Native group — by saying THOSE are the people you should hate. Now imagine that encouragement caused a confrontation between the other two groups — at the National Capital — that became a national news event.

Do you think there would be ANY way they would ignore that part of the story?

Throw in a monologue about how women should know their place, for good measure. Could anyone POSSIBLY resist a story like that?

Are you kidding? We’d know every single lurid detail about that cult, right down to the last parking ticket or juicy rumor of infidelity within 90 minutes of the story breaking. There WAS a story just like that, but they refused to touch it.

There’s even a ‘Cultural Appropriation’ angle, which the Left LOVES to talk about in any other situation. But this is one of those ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ situations.

The religious cult in question isn’t the now-mostly-defunct Westboro dumpster fire. No, but they’re every bit as wholesome. Much like Westboro, they are that wonderfully self-righteous hybrid of Carnival Barker and Angry SJW Protester. This group calls itself the Black Hebrews.

But just like ‘Christian Science’ has nothing to do with either Christianity or Science, these Black Hebrews have nothing that actually marks them as Jewish or even Christian in their beliefs or behavior. And if they’d like to play the same game Pocahontas did with the DNA test, they are more than welcome to try. It would be good for a laugh. We’re guessing this is one DNA test that even Elizabeth Warren could win. We’re betting even she has a higher chance of having some trace of Jewish ancestry than this crowd of misfits and clowns. Which is a pretty good trick for someone who’s never claimed to be Jewish.

That checks off the ‘appropriation’ box in the Leftist scorecard.

And you know that ‘Native Vietnam Veteran’ with the drum (?) that the Media(D) got so worked up over this weekend? His group appears in this story. The ‘Black Hebrews’ (this one happened to say he’s Puerto Rican) are shouting the ‘Truth of the Holy Bible’.

At the :48 second mark, he’s Blasting Native Indians over their improper religious practices. “You’re not supposed to worship Eagles, Buffalo, (inaudible), all kinds of animals. This is the reason why the Lord took away your land.” If ANY other person said those words around a Leftist in ANY other context, you would see someone cutting to commercial, or yelling about racism, bigotry, and religious expression, they would flip their lid.

But in this story?

Forget it, they’ve got bigger fish to fry. He’s not done. “We’re from here. We’re natives too. My people are so-called Puerto Ricans, we are from the tribe of Ephraim’

Then he tells her that’s her nationality. She’s “not” Indian, Indian means ‘savage’ he says … to a native woman. Then he tries to build bridges between his group and the natives, by saying they have a common enemy. He turns the attention to those ‘pompous bastards over there wearing the Make America Great Again hats’. ‘Why you not angry at them?’

Then he turns the camera on himself (2:25) and says “this is the problem Israel, there’s always our women coming around with they (sic) loud mouth, thinking they can run and bogart things, thinking they can come and distract things with their loud-ass mouth cus they not used to dealing with no real men. And you think we supposed to bow down to you damn emotions when you come an you run your mouth and distract what we doin, instead of coming wi’ order” Then he yelled at a woman calling her something that sounded like ‘a $5 Indian” and then called her a ‘fake’ and not a child of God. Then he had the audacity of accusing HER of trying to take HIS culture.

“Culture-Vulture.” “Blue-eyed demon.”

Get the sense that we’re dealing with a real ‘winner’ here?

At about 4:15 he started calling the ‘crackers’ to come over into the ‘Lions Den’. The speaker started threatening children when he “You dirty-ass crackers, your day coming”. Even the black guys hanging out with the schoolkids were being called ‘little Kanye N*****s’.

“Simple C**n- yays.” (Said in a way that it would sound like Kanye) They walked right up to the kids and started insulting them at about the 5:15 mark.

They tell the Hispanics and Negros that they have no business calling themselves a Roman Catholic. (Like anyone asked THEIR permission in the matter)

Tries to pick a fight with a black man for not agreeing with them that his REAL fight ought to be with the ‘racist-ass crackas’ behind him… calls him Uncle Tom.

Peckerwoods (7:05) … walks right up to the teens, arms’ length away filming their faces saying ‘look at all these dusty-ass crackers’… Big ‘man’ brags that he intimidated them enough that they walked away at 7:28… look like they about to shoot up a school right now 7:30… you owe reparations 7:45… biggest terrorists are white 8:05… calls divine curses on their families 8:14… calls them incest babies 8:24… (at about 9 min mark they’ve had enough abuse and start drowing it out with pep cheers)…. he says they have lice… calls them goddam dog…

Kid takes off shirt to lead cheer… ‘put a bra on’ 9:36

(That’s “body-shaming”, isn’t it, feminists?)

Other clips had sexual slurs in there too. F****t, for example.

And what did Nathan Phillips, the drummer, claim he was doing with his drum?

CNN: What did it feel like that you were witnessing?
Phillips: Oh, what I was witnessing was just hate? Racism? Well, hate. What I’m saying is that when these folks came there, these other folks were saying their piece, and these others they got offended with it because they were both just expressing their own views. And if it’s racism, that’s what it was because the folks that were having their moment there, they were saying things that I don’t know if I agreed with them or not, but some of it was educational, and it was truth, and it was history about religious views and ideologies, but these other folks, the young students, they couldn’t see it. They had one point of view, it seemed, and that was that their point of view was the only point of view that was worthwhile. And that’s now what I was feeling.
Source: CNN [emphais added]

I, for one, would be interested to know which of these ‘Black Hebrew’ views he agrees with. Their misogyny? Their criticisms of his ancestral religion? Indian meaning ‘savage’? Bragging that you could intimidate a class of fifteen-year-old kids? Fat-shaming a kid? Accusing them of being the products of incest? Which is it? Or is it the unchecked hatred toward white people who vote the ‘wrong’ way.

Sorry, bro. You can’t brag about defending people’s freedom as a vet and hate them for exercising it the ‘wrong’ way. The whole point of freedom is that some other jackwagon doesn’t get to tell you how to exercise it. Not even if he (may have) served in Vietnam.

In shutdown fight with Trump, Dems reject immigration deal they once sponsored

Reported By Alex Pappas | Fox News

But now that President Trump has offered to essentially include it as part of a compromise to re-open shuttered government agencies, those same Democrats are rejecting it — unwilling to trade border wall funding for the immigrant protections they have long sought.

“We must move on the Bridge Act quickly to protect DREAMers,” Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin said back in December 2016.

TRUMP OFFERS IMMIGRATION COMPROMISE TO END PARTIAL SHUTDOWN; DEMS COOL TO OFFER

Durbin, along with South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, unveiled the bill before Trump took office; others who signed on as sponsors included California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein. The president would eventually try to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that shielded the 700,000 immigrants illegally brought to the United States as children from deportation, leaving the program in legal limbo ever since.

On Saturday, though, Trump announced he was prepared to back a three-year extension of protections for DACA recipients, and extend protections for 300,000 recipients of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program — which protects immigrants from designated countries with conditions that prevent nationals from returning safely. The BRIDGE Act, likewise, included a three-year DACA extension.

But Durbin, like virtually every other congressional Democrat, said he would oppose Trump’s offer considering it’s attached to $5.7 billion for a barrier on the southern border with Mexico.

“I cannot support the proposed offer as reported and do not believe it can pass the Senate,” Durbin said, adding he is “ready to sit down at any time after the government is opened and work to resolve all outstanding issues.”

“He talked about protecting those already in the program,” Durbin said. “Our bill talked about those eligible for the program.”

But Republicans accused Democrats of turning their back on a deal they once supported.

“@POTUS offers to support 2 bills sponsored by Dems (TPS & DACA extensions)in exchange for Border Security (something Democrats claim to support) & the immediate response from Dem leaders is No?” Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., tweeted.

“Walls are not immoral,” he said, adding that a wall “will save many lives and stop drugs from pouring into our country.”

While the Democratic leadership in Congress has come out against the compromise, they are facing some pressure to deal. The editorial board of the Washington Post over the weekend called on Democrats to come back to the table. In an editorial titled “Make a deal. Save the dreamers,” the paper argued Trump “should not be rewarded for having taken the government hostage” but said Trump’s offer to compromise “should be welcomed.”

Meanwhile, some in Trump’s conservative base are coming out against the deal — signaling significant concessions were put forward over the weekend — with commentator Ann Coulter and others accusing the president of offering “amnesty.”

The plan would also allocate $800 million for drug detection technology to secure ports of entry, 2,750 new border agents and law enforcement professionals, and 75 new immigration judges to reduce an immense backlog of asylum requests.

The partial government shutdown has dragged on for a month now and led to hundreds of thousands of federal workers being furloughed or working without pay.

Trump has said he will not sign a bill to open the government unless it includes that wall funding, while Democrats have refused to consider the $5.7 billion figure, instead offering $1.3 billion for general border security.

FBI Bruce Ohr TESTIFIES: FBI Tried to Bring Down Trump

Reported by Kevin Jackson |

Rep. Adam Schiff

What happens when the reason you gave for investigating Trump falls apart?

We are about to find out. Because according to The Daily Caller,

Justice Department official Bruce Ohr’s testimony about his meetings with FBI officials regarding dossier author Christopher Steele severely undercuts claims made in 2018 by California Rep. Adam Schiff and his fellow Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee. Ohr told lawmakers Aug. 28, 2018, he briefed top FBI officials Andrew McCabe and Lisa Page in early August 2016, just days after he met with Steele, a former British spy who was investigating then-candidate Donald Trump. Ohr testified he told McCabe and Page about his interactions with Steele, who was working at the time for Fusion GPS, a Democrat-funded opposition research firm.

The FBI relied heavily on Steele’s unverified dossier to obtain Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

But there is more to the dossier, based on Steele’s admission to Ohr.

The article continues,

In a memo dated Feb. 2, 2018, House Intelligence Republicans, led by then-Chairman Devin Nunes, asserted the FBI filed to disclose in their FISA applications Ohr’s wife, Nellie, worked for Fusion GPS. They also noted in the so-called Nunes memo that the FISA applications do not reveal Steele’s anti-Trump bias. Ohr claimed Steele told him during a meeting Sept. 23, 2016, he was “desperate” that Trump not win election.

So we have a fake dossier, presented by a foreigner who hated Donald Trump. And the FBI knew this information. Yet, they still continued to pursue FISA warrants.

No longer can the FBI pretend they were unaware until later, because Ohr testified he had shared details of his contacts with Steele with the FBI prior to the election.

Let’s review the cast of characters and where they fit past and present.

In addition to the meeting in early August 2016, Ohr met in late September 2016 or early the next month with Page, FBI counterintelligence deputy chief Peter Strzok, and Justice Department officials Bruce Swartz, Zainab Ahmad and Andrew Weissmann. Ahmad and Weissmann are currently working on the special counsel’s investigation.

Unbelievably, Mueller’s team remains comprised of people who undoubtedly were out to get Donald Trump, pre and post-election. Still, Democrats pretend that Mueller and team remain unbiased?

Although Mueller will eventually become the fall guy for the Democrats, let’s not forget what Democrats said of Ohr’s role in this, as well as their contention about the timeline.

The FBI obtained its first FISA against Page on Oct. 21, 2016, weeks after that meeting.

Ohr’s testimony conflicts with House Intelligence Democrats’ claim in a memo released Feb. 24, 2018, that served as a rebuttal to the Nunes memo.

That document sought to defend the FBI’s handling of the Steele dossier and its applications for the first FISA warrant.

Democrats asserted Ohr did not meet with the FBI until after the 2016 election and thus had no opportunity to tell the FBI his wife worked for Fusion GPS. He was also unable to relay that Steele had communicated anti-Trump bias to him.

“[Republicans] mischaracterize[s] Bruce Ohr’s role, overstates the significance of his interactions with Steele, and misleads about the timeframe of Ohr’s communication with the FBI,” the so-called Schiff memo reads.

To put this simply, the FBI used the Steele dossier as evidence against Carter page. But when pressed, they claimed to have only been briefed on the dossier post-election.

I can’t wait to see bug-eyed Adam Schiff try to talk his way out of this one.

Feminist Rips the ‘Women’s March’ for Not Addressing Any of the Important Issues

Reported By Karista Baldwin | January 20, 2019 at 7:49am

One self-described radical feminist is speaking out against the Women’s March for its failing to focus on actual women’s issues.

Phyllis Chesler, a long-time feminist and a professor of psychology and women’s studies, called the march “a con job” and criticized it for its unfit leadership.

In an opinion piece published by Fox News on Saturday, Chesler voiced her disapproval of the latest wave of feminism.  She wrote that the marches are “stage events, not revolutions,” and lamented the loss of “a vibrant and radical feminist movement.”

Now 78, Chesler is considered part of “second-wave feminism,” the movement that ushered in the sexual revolution (and legalized abortion). She believes that the current feminist movement is no longer really concerned with women’s issues. Instead, feminism is now about intersectionality and identity politics, at the cost of real women’s liberation.

“The Women’s March addresses things like ‘immigration reform’ and ‘police violence against black men;’ they say they are ‘anti-racists,’ more than they are ‘anti-sexists;’ and they prioritize ‘queer and transgender’ politics, but never plain old garden variety women’s issues,” Chesler wrote.

She complained about how the leaders of the Women’s March are branded like actors and reality show celebrities, unlike the members of grassroots movements Chesler was a part of. Chesler expressed disapproval of modern feminism’s convoluted identity politics, where members get points for their minority statuses. She also bashed the march for its anti-Semitism, pointing to claims that Jewish leaders were pushed out of the group. Chesler believes that the few Jewish members of the march’s committee, “have mainly been chosen as window dressing and as proof of intersectionality.’”

She argued that current feminist leaders’ obsession with inclusiveness trumps their concern with women’s rights in Third World countries. Chesler called out Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour for failing to condemn the human rights abuses in Muslim states.

“Sex trafficking? Child marriage? FGM? Forced face veiling? Honour killing? None of these issues are being addressed by the American Women’s March leadership,” Chesler wrote.

Many conservatives have voiced similar confusion over the broad range of issues that are now being grouped under the name of “feminism.” However, the fact that Chesler’s criticism comes from an old-school feminist’s perspective says a lot about how far gone the modern feminist movement has come. The left is imploding on itself. Liberals can’t sustain coherence with their identity politics-focused model because it’s inherently divisive. Leftists compete with each other to see who’s more oppressed, and bash anyone they deem “privileged.” They demonize Americans by carelessly throwing around labels like “racist” and “Nazi,” and are therefore deathly afraid of the labels being turned on them.

As Chesler wrote, this comes at the price of real crises that need attention. Tied up in their own identity politics, liberals are often silent on the issues they should be helping, like the sexist practices rampant in radical Islam.

Feminism is no longer feminist enough for people like Chesler. Some African-Americans are no longer considered “black enough” for liberals. Prominent gays and lesbians are criticized for not advocating for gay rights in the politically correct way. And even old-line feminists are starting to notice.

Free Posters! Just Add Your Own Trump-Hate Slogan

Reported By Tiffany Layne |

#TeamKJ; #KevinJackson

Liberalism on the university level has long-been out of control.

Instead of teaching young minds to be free thinkers, they are taught to follow-the-leader. Even when the leader is wearing a ridiculous vagina hat and hollering a bunch of socialist nonsense.

But hey, that’s what higher education is all about these days. We can’t say the downward spiral of Wackademia started with Trump’s Administration, because, frankly universities fell to leftism long ago. However, once Trump won the presidency, things escalated to a new level of ridiculousness.

As Campus Reform recently reported:

Students on campuses across the country are being offered opportunities to prepare posters for next Saturday’s Women’s March events scheduled to occur in multiple cities, with one of those colleges even providing students with the supplies.

At Iowa State University, students are encouraged to stop by the union and be inspired by a playlist of Beyonce, Nina Simone, and Gloria Gaynor as they make posters with materials provided at no cost to the attendees. Students will also have the chance to pick up a feminist button or make their own for $0.50.

At the University of California, Berkeley, the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive will offer an opportunity to make posters with artist Masako Miki, who is currently a solo exhibitor there. Miki has already commissioned a print to commemorate the 2019 Women’s March. Miki’s art piece continues “the tradition of collaborating with artists and activists to create political poster art using the museum’s Risograph print resource,” according to the event’s webpage.

But don’t let the promises of political art give you some warm fuzzy 1960s peace rally feelings. Believe me, these aren’t your mama’s protests.

According to Breitbart:

While there may be several coinciding Women’s Marches occurring across the country, not all of them will go on as originally planned. Organizers of the California Women’s March have decided to cancel their January event, citing “overwhelmingly white” participants as their reason.

Moreover, several Women’s March leaders — such as Carmen Perez, Linda Sarsour, and Tamika Mallory — have recently fallen under scrutiny for their association with the proud anti-Semite and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

But exactly what are these students protesting? Many of them can’t even tell the difference between an Obama quote and a Trump quote. In fact, liberals are so brain-washed to hate Trump, they automatically pounce on an idea that seems to be Trump-related. It doesn’t matter whether or not the issue has merit.

As Fox News reported:

Students at American University reacted unfavorably to calls for increased border security to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, expressing shock that prominent Democrats have agreed with the idea in the past.

Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips visited the university’s Washington, D.C. campus amid the ongoing border funding battle and partial government shutdown.

He presented students with several quotes that sounded a lot like President Trump’s speeches, but actually came from then-Senator Barack Obama, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Hillary Clinton — including:

“Illegal Immigration is wrong, plain and simple. Until the American people are convinced we will stop future flows of illegal immigration, we will make no progress.” – Schumer, 2009

“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented and unchecked” – Obama, 2005

“I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in. And I do think you have to control your borders.” –  Clinton, 2015

Students described the quotes as “dehumanizing,” “problematic” and “jingoist,” with one student dubbing it “hateful speech” and another claiming the comments contained “racial biases.”

Pelosi Comes Face to Face with Victims of Illegal Immigration…Her Response is HORRID

Reported By

Nancy Pelosi

Even though I imagine that no one reading this has forgotten, there are currently 800,000 of our fellow Americans being asked to work without pay because the ruling class cretins in the DC Swamp can’t get along. That’s nearly a million Americans on the rice and beans diet, or worse, going hungry.  All because the democrats decided that they couldn’t support anything that Donald Trump wants to do because they signed up for some phony “resistance” thing the millennials were putting together.

Before it was “cool” to hate Donald Trump, the democrats were pretty gung-ho about the whole “border wall” thing.

Trending: Democratic Senator Says We’re Headed Toward INDICTMENT of POTUS!

Now, as the voice of the people has been focused on the single, solitary subject of the border wall, there is no time like the present for those of us with vested interest in immigration policy to do our damnedest. This is precisely the attitude of a group of “Angel Moms” who stormed into Nancy Pelosi’s office today to demand the democrats negotiate an end to the shutdown by providing the funding necessary for a physical barrier at the border.

The “Angel Moms” had a clear message for the press after being denied the ability to speak with their elected officials.

“It’s a slap, it’s a stab, it’s a kick in the gut, in the groin,” Sabine Durden, whose son Dominic was struck dead in 2012 by an illegal alien, said of Pelosi’s and other Democrats’ decision not to meet with Angel Mothers.

“It’s not a matter of if you’re going to be affected by illegal alien crime, it’s when you are going to be affected,” replied Mary Ann Mendoza, whose 32-year-old police officer Brandon Mendoza was killed by a drunk illegal alien driving on the wrong way down a Mesa, Arizona highway.

Radio host Rose Tennent, who appeared to be filming the protest, asked the women how it feels to tell their story, only to be refused a meeting with Pelosi. Several Angel Moms said they felt “angry” and “insulted.”

“If you can talk all that talk, why can you walk all that walk,” Durden said of Democrats with harsh words for President Trump’s border security proposals. “If you’re that tough, come see me. Come see all of us in one room. No press, just us, just for two minutes.”

Then, for the kicker…

“What’s interesting is, literally, there’s a wall between you and Nancy,” Tennent then noted.

Texas Authorities Arrest Another Illegal, This Time Accused of Sex Assault on 11-Year-Old

Reported By Kara Pendleton | January 16, 2019 at 10:29am

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/texas-authorities-arrest-another-illegal-sex-assault-11-year-old/

It seems that when it is politically expedient, liberals claim to deeply care about women and children. But it also seems that on a regular basis, their actions say otherwise.

Yet another example of this has hit the news. It began with the sexual assault of an 11-year-old child in Conroe, Texas, according to authorities.

KHOU reported that the 30-year-old man accused of the crime was arrested and is being held due to not only the alleged crime, but also his legal status.

Details of the alleged sexual assault were not available, but the immigration history of the suspect, Jose Manuel Tiscareno Hernandez, definitely was. An illegal alien living in the United States, he has already been deported to Mexico a number of times.

In fact, if authorities hadn’t caught Hernandez when they did, he had planned on fleeing back to Mexico, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

A media advisory issued by the sheriff’s office stated that two search warrants had been issued as part of the investigation. The first was to search his home. He was not at home at the time, but that is when they got the information about his plan to flee across the border.

The second warrant was issued for authorities to search a different residence to collect evidence.

Hernandez was finally arrested on Saturday, KHOU reported.

The various authorities involved in the investigation included the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit and SWAT, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the FBI. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Marshals Service also played a role in his capture, according to the news release.

Not every illegal alien commits other crimes once over the border. But in regard to border security and a wall, as the Democrats so often say, “if even one life can be saved, it’s worth it.” So, how many lives, particularly those of the women and children they claim to love and advocate for, must be damaged or lost before they follow up on their claims? If even one can be saved, isn’t it worth it by their own logic?

These stories of illegal aliens committing other crimes once here are being reported far too often. It’s almost daily that we read or hear about yet another illegal alien being arrested for other, usually violent, crimes.

Do you think the Democrats need to get to work and fund the wall?

Yes No

It needs to stop. And Democrats need to do more than talk. It is time to fund the wall and stop the insanity. It is time to actually protect the men, women and children of America. Isn’t that part of their job description? They don’t seem to think so.

Instead of working on a deal with President Donald Trump, Democrats took a holiday vacation. Then, barely after getting back from that, a number of them were off to Puerto Rico to party with lobbyists and watch the musical hit “Hamilton.” That’s how much they care about innocent women and children. That’s how much they care about doing the job Americans elected and pay them to do.

Hey Pelosi: ‘Suddenly’ You’re Not So Flippant About Security, Eh?

Written by Steve Bowers on January 17, 2019

Pelosi has no sense of humor. When other people take her words at face value, she doesn’t get the joke. Walls are an ‘immorality’ are they? California is a ‘Sanctuary’ State, is it? So security and private property are no big deal.

Trending: VIDEO: Victims Of Illegal Aliens Confront Pelosi And It’s Frickin’ EPIC

If you say so…

You heard about that publicity stunt when Loomer and a bunch of illegals jumped the fence at Pelosi’s place, didn’t you? HER security wasn’t as welcoming as the Democrats who live in their gated communities seem to be toward illegal aliens flooding into the country.

Steve Bowers

Steve Bowers grew up on a farm in Indiana, attended Indiana University and went into the construction business. While working on a construction project at a law school he was appalled at how lawyers could screw stuff up on a simple building project. Thinking he could do better, Steve went to law school. Hey Dems: THIS Was Discovered On A Rancher’s Property… Is Border Security A Priority NOW? (Video)

Written by Wes Walker on January 17, 2019

Nancy and Co dismiss the importance of stemming immigration — does THIS raise any red flags? A rancher says she’s found prayer rugs on her property, and that there has been a spike in “OTM” (other-than-Mexican) illegal entry into America. Is that a problem?

“There’s a lot of people coming in not just from Mexico,” the rancher said. “People, the general public, just don’t get the terrorist threats of that. That’s what’s really scary. You don’t know what’s coming across. We’ve found prayer rugs out here. It’s unreal. It’s not just Mexican nationals that are coming across.”

Her comments were part of a larger conversation about how many in the region believe migrants are coming to the U.S. illegally from all over the world, not just Central America.

Border Patrol and its parent agency, Customs and Border Protection, did not respond to multiple interview requests. But CBP’s Arizona region issued a statement on Twitter Wednesday that said agents had arrested people from across the world over the past five days.

Here’s another, related video from the same State along the border:

What makes that part of the border so vulnerable?

They’re remote, with wide open spaces, no local police department, and no physical obstacle preventing people from crossing.

Even PBS has picked up on it, as recently as December 18th, 2018, posting this story only four days before the partial government shutdown began over this very issue.

Headline as follows:
U.S. officials baffled by large migrant groups flocking to remote New Mexico border crossing

Large numbers of Guatemalan families and unaccompanied children are surrendering to U.S. immigration agents in an extremely remote and dangerous stretch of New Mexico desert, a new smuggling route that has baffled authorities.

It is where 7-year-old Jakelin Caal and her father were found Dec. 6 with 161 others near a border crossing in Antelope Wells. — Source: PBS

We’ve got an identified border crossing at a relatively undefended stretch of border — which puts both residents and trespassers in real danger. We were discussing it at a national level literally days before the shutdown.

But despite news like that, or news like this:

Pelosi and Schumer refuse to fund border security anyway. And if PRAYER rugs are turning up at the border..?

In our post-9/11 world, what motives should we ascribe to Muslims and other “OTM” entrants who are avoiding lawful ports of entry into America?

Well, you don’t have to watch “Sicario 2: Day of the Soldato” to imagine those implications.

However desperate the Democrats are for any short-term political gains their open-border policy might give them, they do NOT want that kind of blood on their hands.

Just build the damned wall already.

This ‘People Who Don’t Want A Border Wall’ Meme Needs To Go VIRAL

Written by Wes Walker on January 17, 2019

If you want to see Democrats torn between winning their Shutdown Showdown and saving their skin for 2020, show them this meme.

We can’t take credit for this meme, it was posted on Instagram by the user ‘dc_draino’. But we sure can agree with and promote the hell out of it. (And you can too!)

Do drug cartels want open borders? Yes.

Do sex traffickers want open borders? Yes.

Do smugglers want open borders? Yes.

Does MS-13 want open borders? Yes.

Do rapists that prey upon the vulnerable border-crossers want open borders? Yes.

They even said so in a memo of their own.

The Center for American Progress (CAP) Action Fund memo, which circulated Monday, called on Democrats to “refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them.”

The memo from the left-leaning think tank also said that protecting DACA is not only a “moral imperative” but also a “critical component” in winning elections.

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” the memo read.

It finished, “If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond.”

Why would anyone, of any party POSSIBLY be in favor of open borders?

What difference would that make? Oh, nothing much, just a permanent expansion of the Left’s political power base.

One electoral news site gives us an explanation of what counting illegals does to the electoral college numbers, including an interactive map:

Here’s how the electoral map would look, based on 2013 Census estimates, and using 2016 election results, if only citizens were counted. […]

As we found at the time, “11 states would be impacted. The big loser would be California, which would see 4 of its 55 electoral votes trimmed away. No other state was impacted by more than one electoral vote. FL, NY and TX would lose one each, while seven states (LA, MO, MT, NC, OH, OK, VA) would gain one.” In terms of the 2016 election, Donald Trump would have won an additional four electoral votes, giving him a 310-228 victory, vs. the actual 306-232 result.*

“Fundamentally Transforming,” indeed. Into their own perpetual power base, whether we want it or not.

Just like the Big Tech Companies said they would in the article endorsed by their own management:

Leftist Want A ‘New Civil War’ – This Post Is Disturbing

But we’ve got someone in office who’s putting a stop to that plan. Mr. President, America Stands with you … Rock On!

Today’s Ann Coulter Letter: White Supremacists Ate My Homework

Commentary by Ann Coulter  |

By finally returning to the issue that won him the election, President Trump once again has a winning hand. That’s why we’re hearing so much about “white supremacy” this week. Liberals lie all the time, but when they know they’re vulnerable they lie even more than all the time. They’re vulnerable on immigration. Even heroic, nonstop lying doesn’t help — as CNN has discovered.

So, naturally, the media have turned to their larger project of relentlessly trying to discredit conservatives as “white supremacists.” Unfortunately for them, apart from a few crackpots — whom I assume exist in a country of 320 million people — there are no “white supremacists.” There were white supremacists 50 years ago, and they were all Democrats. (See my book Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama.)

Today, “white supremacy” is nothing but a comfortable fantasy the left developed to explain its sick preoccupation with white people. Talk about a manufactured crisis! The same people who love to snicker about Fox News viewers worrying about Sharia law sweeping the country are convinced that mythical “white supremacists” are hiding under every bed.

The whole concept is bogus. In my life, I’ve encountered a number of white people — some of them are my best friends. I’ve never heard any of them suggest that whites should rule over other races. None of them has argued that a substandard white person should get a job over a more competent person just because he’s white — you know, what every other group openly advocates for itself.

There is a whole swath of journalists who have decided that instead of investigating relevant news, they will spend their time doing oppo-research on prominent conservatives, hoping against hope to call them “racists.” If the facts don’t fit, they’ll make them up. The New York Times’ Maureen Dowd once famously imagined a Republican congressman calling Obama “boy.”

This week, Newsweek’s Nina Burleigh (“I’d be happy to give (Bill Clinton) a b—job just to thank him for keeping abortion legal”) casually asked to interview me about “white identity politics.” I have nothing to do with “white identity politics.” I don’t know anyone who knows anyone who even knows what that means. (Nor do I know anyone who’s seen a copy of Newsweek in at least a decade.) When will we get around to talking about the media’s actual hatred of whites?

Last year, The New York Times hired Sarah Jeong, a Korean journalist who has posted such venomous anti-white tweets as:

“White men are bullshit.”

“(F)**k white women lol.”

“White people have stopped breeding. (Y)ou’ll all go extinct soon. (T)hat was my plan all along.”

“Dumbass f**king white people marking up the internet with their opinions like dogs pissing on fire hydrants.”

“#CancelWhitePeople.”

“Are white people genetically predisposed to burn faster in the sun, thus logically being only fit to live underground like groveling goblins?”

“(O)h man it’s kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men.”

There’s no question but that such racist attacks would never be tolerated toward any other group. Jeong never apologized and happily took her seat on the Times’ editorial board.

Our cultural institutions regard the statement “It’s okay to be white” as hate speech. Colleges instigate investigations whenever signs with that phrase appear on campus. Second-graders in this country are being indoctrinated into “white privilege” ideology.

Eventually people get tired of the left’s fixation on “white people” -– the gratuitous dumping on Western civilization, the incessant sneering about “old white men,” and the nonsense about “white privilege,” as if every white person knows every other white person and is greased into jobs and promotions.

But if you ever respond to the hate by noting that the contributions from the parts of the world loathed by The New York Times dwarf the contributions of other cultures, they threaten you. Any references to white male accomplishments are merely defensive.

Consider the current Gillette ad, “We Believe: The Best Men Can Be” (after the board of directors rejected the more accurate title, “ANNOUNCEMENT TO SHAREHOLDERS: WE’RE FOLDING THE COMPANY”). The ad shows only white men harassing women — and being corrected by minority men.

As long as they brought it up, every culture in the universe is galaxies more misogynistic than Western European culture. The ad should have been titled, Hey, white America, you’ve got to stop doing the things that everyone BUT you does.

When other groups talk about themselves, they instantly go to: We rock, we’re awesome! Only the descendants of white Western Europeans are not allowed to be proud of their culture.

There is still casual racism, and that should be quickly and severely condemned. Iowa Rep. Steve King, for example, was fanatically obsessed with vindicating a white defendant accused of, first, murdering a half-Pakistani woman, and, second, falsely accusing a Congolese man of the murder.

Except King never did that. Newsweek’s Burleigh did, writing an entire book in defense of alabaster-white Amanda Knox, after she was convicted of the brutal murder of her half-Pakistani roommate — later overturned — and also convicted of falsely accusing an innocent Congolese man of the crime, for which she served four years.

Liberals could never, in a million years, survive the standards of “racism” applied to conservatives. Even famed defense attorney Alan Dershowitz said that the only reason journalists defended “Foxy Knoxy” was that “she’s pretty and she doesn’t look like she did it and Americans care about what people look like. She’s the all-American young woman and we don’t care about the evidence.”

If you want to know about white supremacy, Nina, interview yourself. After that, maybe you can learn your maid’s name.

I’m getting back to the subject you desperately don’t want to discuss: How uncontrolled low-skilled immigration is slaughtering our working class — white, black and brown.

Transgender Step-Dad And Female Partner Reveal That Son, Age 5, Is Transitioning To Be A Girl

Written by K. Walker on January 15, 2019

Is this the family of the future?

Jody and Greg Rogers of Glasgow have been labeled Britain’s first ‘Transgender Family’ now that they have revealed that their five-year-old son is transitioning to become a girl.

Jody, 21, and Greg,27, though not married, share the same last name and home with Jody’s biological son, Jayden. The family, which has been together for 3 years, has been reported to social services and faced ‘cruel online bullies’ since Jayden began living life as a ‘fashion-loving girl’ and using female pronouns almost a year ago.

This is the same country where Muslim rape-gangs were permitted to rove free preying on vulnerable young girls from blue-collar families because you wouldn’t want to offend anyone.

The Daily Mail wrote a piece about the family’s struggle with a ‘campaign of online abuse’ and a few neighbors that just don’t accept the five-year-old’s transition.

For although Jayden’s teachers, friends and most of their neighbours have accepted the child’s gender transition, others have mounted a campaign of online abuse centred on the unfounded claim that the parents had somehow cajoled their child into becoming a girl.

The nightmare began with an anonymous complaint to social services from a resident who saw Jayden playing outside the family home in girls’ clothing and accused the couple of child abuse. Astonishingly, although the council officials who investigated the claims found the Rogers to be a happy, loving family, the couple say it was suggested they move away from the area to solve the problem.

They angrily refused but have since suffered a barrage of online insults from anonymous trolls who insist that because Greg had changed sex, he must have forced Jayden to do the same.

Greg was born a woman and has taken male hormones and has undergone surgery to remove both breasts, but has not yet had full gender reassignment surgery. Greg who transitioned at age 16, says that it was the last thing that the couple wanted for their child because it’s such a difficult life.

‘We haven’t encouraged Jayden to do this, despite what people think, and we are hurt at the suggestion.

‘She has no idea that I’m transgender. Having been through this myself, I have conflicting emotions about her deciding she doesn’t want to be a boy any more. It’s not an easy life. People will always judge you and I don’t think there is a single transgender person on the planet who would push that on a child.

‘We can’t fix society but we can help Jayden to be happy with who she is. We don’t encourage it. In fact, we buy boys’ and girls’ clothes to give her the option and we have regular conversations with her, underlining that if she wants to go back to being a boy, we will love her regardless. It is not something I would have chosen for myself and certainly not something I would choose for my child, but she is so much happier now.’

It all began about a year ago when Jayden, then aged 4, had surgery to correct a hearing problem that was affecting his ability to communicate. Step-dad Greg says that once the operation was complete, Jayden immediately expressed his displeasure at being a boy.

She developed speech and immediately started saying, “I hate wearing boys’ clothes and everything about being a boy”. At first, we thought it was probably just a phase but it’s been consistent ever since. She is adamant she’s a girl.

Jayden’s mother, Jody, spoke about how her son became her daughter overnight.

‘I had a son one moment and a daughter the next. It probably took me six months to start accepting that it was what Jayden really wanted. It’s been like a grieving process for me, though. I do miss having a son and, as a baby, Jayden looked so much like a boy.

‘I look back at photographs of him now, in his little suits, and it’s like a different person.

‘I’ve never been a “girly girl” myself, but Jayden is, and I’ve had to learn to do her hair and nails.

‘I never had to bother before because when she was a boy, she just had a short back and sides. Fortunately, her name was unisex, otherwise she would have had to change it, but I still get the pronouns mixed up, calling her “he” rather than “she”. Jayden gets really annoyed with me.’

Fortunately. You wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of changing your child’s name or anything. Altering their very existence, however… well, that’s fine.

Doctors still know very little about the long-term effects of taking puberty blockers over an extended period and have claimed there is ‘anecdotal data’ the drugs are linked to osteoporosis.

Young people who are prescribed blockers are likely to progress onto ‘cross sex’ hormones when they reach 16. Boys will be given oestrogen and girls will start on testosterone. The effects of this medication are irreversible and can have ‘lifelong implications’ for the users.

Jody said: ‘Of course I have concerns for the future. I get really worried because she will have to go on hormone blockers when she’s older if she wants to remain being a girl. People have actually asked us if she’s had the surgery already to her lower half, which is frankly ridiculous. She’s five!

‘Others have told me I should force Jayden to be a boy and not pander to it because she will get bullied. But she was getting bullied anyway because she’s always been flamboyant.’

She added: ‘This is all about a boy wearing a dress and some people’s prejudices. If it was a girl with short hair and tracksuit bottoms, no one would bother.’

Source: Daily Mail

So, here’s an awkward observation…

Perhaps Jayden hates everything about being a boy because he lives with two women and one has taken the form of a man but is still genetically a woman. He doesn’t have a genuine male role model. His ‘dad’ is a woman who believes that she is a man and has had surgery to mimic being a man. As difficult as it is for transgender individuals to hear, a woman cannot be a man, nor can a man be a woman. It is not biologically or genetically possible.

It could be that the tolerance for gender fluidity that they have been teaching Jayden from the time he was two has had an effect on him. After all, there is nature and there is nurture. I actually say this without judgment on these parents who believe that they were training their son to be kind to people who are ‘different’ and eventually understand that his step-dad was once a woman. I understand teaching your kids your values, and well, what else would they teach him?

But maybe there are just some things that children are unable to cognitively grasp at certain ages. That’s why many conservatives are concerned about the age-appropriateness of some sex ed curricula that include things like gender identity at a very early age.

Look, as a Christian woman, I do believe that we need to have compassion for people that are struggling with gender confusion. It is such a basic part of who we are, and I cannot imagine what it would be like to question that. However, this statistically tiny community has been growing, and I personally don’t believe that it’s just because there is more acceptance to the premise that gender is fluid. (Which I don’t believe to be true.)

If this family is concerned about the well being of Jayden, then maybe they should look at moving. A married, gay conservative man is seeking asylum in the United States because of the Islamization of the UK.

And then there is the issue of regret and de-transitioning.

The decisions children make are often regretted. This is also true of gender transition. That’s because once trans kids become adults, they quite often ‘grow out of’ being transgender. What, you mean things can change once you hit puberty? That doesn’t stop the Media(D) and transactivists push younger and younger transition with the use of puberty blockers that cause permanent changes like sterility.

Regret is real. Take it from the words of a conservative transgender woman, Blaire White, who doesn’t regret her transition, but warns of children transitioning too early:

America’s Youngest Black Legislator Is a Pro-Life, Pro-God Breath of Fresh Air

Reported By Bryan Chai | January 13, 2019 at 12:24pm

I despise identity politics. To reduce one’s worth or meaning to an arbitrary feature or characteristic like skin color is the antithesis of progress. It’s no secret that leftists and Democrats love their identity politics. They’re always identifying things like racism or sexism under the cynical idea that it’ll help unite voters under their banner.

The truth of the matter is that identity politics, by definition, don’t unite. They divide.

Frankly, the content of one’s character and beliefs should always be more important than the color of one’s skin or ethnic background. Those are just some of the reasons why seeing a legislator like Caleb Hanna rise in prominence is so exciting.

Now, if I were a Democrat or a leftist, I might focus on the fact that he’s a young black man who’s won a seat on the West Virginia state legislature at the insanely young age of just 19. It’s one thing to describe Hanna by mentioning his skin color, there’s nothing wrong with that. The problem is when leftists begin defining people by their skin color.

That’s exactly why I instead want to focus on what makes Hanna such an exciting young lawmaker. And it has nothing to do with skin color.

According to a candidate profile provided to The Register Herald in May, the young Republican is made of the right stuff and stands for the right stuff.

“I’m proudly a Christian conservative and was raised on the belief that success is built with hard work, commitment and dedication – West Virginia values that continue to guide me today,” Hanna said.

According to the West Virginia MetroNews, Hanna won his seat in the state House District 44 by a nearly 2-to-1 margin in November’s general election. That win made him unique among American lawmakers, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail.

“At that moment, Hanna became the youngest African-American in America to be elected to a state legislature, according to the National Council of State Legislatures. The results were 1,306 to 874 in the fragmented 44th District, which includes all of Webster County, half of Nicholas County and a couple of precincts in Randolph and Upshur counties.”

Hanna’s stances echo some of the hallmarks of modern conservatism.

“I support the WV Pro-Life movement and have been endorsed in the Republican Primary by West Virginians for Life. I also fully support the 2nd Amendment and our right to bear arms,” Hanna said in May. “I will be a passionate, effective, and conservative fighter for limited government, economic growth, and the Constitution.”

Another aspect of conservatism that Hanna is shaped by is his family upbringing.

“When I was only 10 years old, I heard my father say, ‘The American Dream is getting harder to find. Opportunities are becoming tougher to come by, and the simple idea, of by doing the right thing and working hard you can provide for your family, just really isn’t so simple anymore.’ From that moment, I knew I wanted to somehow help and serve the people of the great Mountain State.

“My goal is very simple, and that’s to bring A New Era of Leadership to West Virginia government. By implementing my youth and skills into government, I can provide a fresh new perspective to policy making that is not usual but is certainly effective,” Hanna said. “I have vision for opportunity that others typically miss, and West Virginia needs that now more than ever. I have a lot of pride for this state I’ve always called home.”

Compare Hanna’s rhetoric to some of the drivel pushed by young leftists like congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I’ve never been one to summarily dismiss someone because of their youth. I don’t care that Hanna and Ocasio-Cortez are so young for their respective positions. I care about what they have to say. Ocasio-Cortez says foolish things that threaten to disrupt the American democracy with her socialist and leftist ideals.

Hanna seems like a smart young man who wants to genuinely improve his country. That’s worth lauding and I can’t wait to see what he does next.

All It Took Was 1 Border Photo and Trump Has Leftists Triggered

Reported By C. Douglas Golden | January 12, 2019 at 11:04am

There’s nothing quite like the Trump tweet. It’s not just a matter of owning the libs, as they say. In fact, the tweets often aren’t perfect from a policy and/or public relations standpoint. There’s definitely been some problematic stuff in the presidential feed from time to time.

Nevertheless, therein lies the fun. However much you might think that the president has done harm to his cause in 280 characters or less, his enemies tend to do way more damage to theirs.

Take, for instance, a tweet that should have been entirely unproblematic. After all, it was confrontational, but decidedly true. It involved a section of new fencing being put up along the border:

Now, there wasn’t a whole lot of context here regarding funding, where this was being built or whether or not it was replacing an old barrier. The point was, however, a new border wall was indeed being built — at least according to the tweet.

And thusly did the left half of political Twitter lose their minds.

Dr. Eugene Gu, a surgeon who has become a liberal political hashtag activist because a) he does transplants using tissue from aborted fetuses and b) why the heck not, was definitely triggered by the post.

Yeah, stopping people from entering the United States illegally makes you “like the worst, evil cartoon character villain.” Also, a “Game of Thrones” reference. Yet more proof Trump does triggering better than anyone else. Also, he does “Game of Thrones” references better, too.

Oh, and one of the Brothers Krassenstein commented on it, because of course they did. They didn’t seem to understand the whole mechanics of wall funding or the fact that there are still numerous areas along our southern border that are unsecured:

Someone please remind me why these guys are beloved social media stars.

There was also a tweet from a mental health counselor and author which we can’t show here that basically said, in vulgar terms, that Trump’s “imaginary wall is a metaphor” for his reproductive parts and that he’s building it because there are, ahem, medical issues with said parts. You can see the original tweet here. Again, published mental health counselor.

There are plenty of other tweets in this vein, although these are the most famous lib trolls that seem to have been trolled and don’t seem to get either the purpose of the wall or how it’s funded.

This is the state of the left today. Even the mere mention of the wall sends them into a tizzy. “This was already planned!” “It’s a fence, not a wall!” “You’re a barbarian!” Etc., etc.

And the media says someone in the White House should take away Donald Trump’s Twitter. Not when it creates reactions like this, they shouldn’t.

Seventeen Burned Bodies Appear Near Border as Democrats Say We Don’t Need a Wall

Reported By Ben Marquis | January 10, 2019 at 4:25pm

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/seventeen-burned-bodies-appear-near-border-democrats-say-dont-need-wall/

Democrats and the media immediately set about disputing Trump’s labeling of the border situation as a “crisis,” part of their overtly biased effort to instantly “fact-check” every word or statistic uttered by the president in the brief speech, and — coincidentally? — all seemed to arrive at the same conclusion: There is no real crisis at the border, only a “manufactured crisis” brought about purposefully by Trump’s actions, or some such nonsense like that.

Of course, to follow along with the media’s bouncing ball on this one, everyone must ignore the fact that the same liberal media loudly trumpeted the “crisis” at the border in 2013 and 2014 — when they were supporting comprehensive immigration reform and amnesty for illegal immigrants — or their hollering about a “crisis” on the border through much of 2017 and 2018 when Trump began to crack down on illegal border crossings and deportations ticked up.

In truth, however, the only thing “manufactured” about all of this is the Democrats ‘obstinate opposition to the president and their refusal to acknowledge the basic and undeniable facts of what is occurring on and around the porous and lightly defended southern border.

Case in point, Reuters reported on Thursday that at least 20 dead bodies — 17 of which had been badly burned — were discovered on Wednesday in the Mexican city of Ciudad Miguel Aleman, which is located a mere 56 miles across the Rio Grande River from the U.S. border city of McAllen, Texas, where President Trump visited with U.S. Border Patrol agents and other officials on Thursday.

Mexican authorities are reportedly investigating what has all the appearances of a deadly battle between members of two rival gangs in the area, gangs that routinely play in a role in the illicit cross-border excursions that bring illegal aliens, criminals, drugs, weapons and even terrorists into this nation.

The suspected gang-related massacre even drew a mention from Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador at his daily news conference on Thursday, and though he didn’t offer up much in the way of specifics, he did say that security officials would provide more information at a later date or time.

Reuters noted that according to one Mexican security official, five burned-out vehicles were also discovered along with the 20 dead bodies, though the outlet noted that a separate Mexican security official had reportedly counted as many as 21 dead bodies at the scene. The grisly scene was located in the Tamaulipas region of Mexico, one of the more violent states in that nation that has been controlled by dangerous criminal cartels and gangs for years. Those groups exert a great deal of control over drug and human trafficking across the border in that region, and are well-known for running extortion rackets on local residents and exploiting migrants passing through the area for whatever can be gained.

When not engaged in those border-related crimes, the cartels and gangs are fighting violently among each other or waging war against Mexican security forces, violence that has claimed tens of thousands of lives — some innocent, some not so much — over the years.

Obviously, incidents like this one — and this bloody incident is far from an isolated occurrence — are what President Trump is referencing when he speaks of the “crisis” at the border while demanding Congress appropriate the necessary funds to construct a border wall where needed and to increase border security measures in other ways.

Yet, based solely on their reflexive opposition to all things Trump, many talking heads in the liberal media staunchly refuse to acknowledge as a “crisis” what their own colleagues are quietly reporting on a near-daily basis.

Indeed, some in the media have even adopted a sort of “Don’t believe your lying eyes” attitude when it comes to their anti-Trump reporting on the border, as evidenced by a ridiculous tweet from CNN’s Jim Acosta that actually seemed to prove the president’s point about how necessary and effective a border wall truly is.

In several other tweets after that, Acosta hyped up how safe the border town of McAllen is — while studiously ignoring the obvious fact that McAllen is safe because it has a border wall and other barriers obstructing those who would illicitly cross over.

Unfortunately, the wall and other barriers along the border in the McAllen region that keep it so safe only extend for so long, and eventually give way to mere chain-link fencing or nothing at all, meaning those who wish to cross the border illegally need only walk around the end to do so. Anyone with common sense and intellectual honesty can plainly see that and realize Trump is absolutely correct to want to address this security crisis post haste.

State lawmakers forcing pro-LGBTQ material on schools

Reported by Bob Kellogg (OneNewsNow.com) | Thursday, January 10, 2019

"Celebrate Diversity" bannerNew Jersey could soon become the second state requiring public schools to include in their curricula the societal contributions of LGBTQ individuals.

In 2012, California became the first state mandating that public schools recognize the contributions of homosexuals. New Jersey could be next if Governor Phil Murphy signs into law a bill requiring school districts include instruction on the contributions of people with disabilities and those in the LGBTQ community. If signed into law, S-1569 would apply to the curriculum of middle school and high school students beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.

Len Deo, president and executive director of the New Jersey Family Policy Council, describes the bill as ludicrous legislation that could alter history.

Deo

“It’s a ridiculous piece of legislation,” he tells OneNewsNow. “It should not be redoing history, no matter what a person’s gender identity or sexuality was in the past.”

The bill’s sponsor is Democratic Senator Loretta Weinberg of Bergen. However, Deo says there was no notable clamor for such a bill.

“This has not been a mandate from the New Jersey Department of Education,” he points out. “This legislation is forcing local school boards individually to have to address this issue and change their current curriculum.”

In December, the legislation passed both the State Assembly (52-10-15) and the State Senate (27-5).

News from Associated Press

WASHINGTON (January 11, 2019) — President Donald Trump is edging closer to declaring a national emergency to fund his long-promised border wall, as pressure mounts to find an escape hatch from the three-week impasse that has closed parts of the government, leaving hundreds of thousands of workers without pay.

BARRON, Wis. (January 11, 2019) — A 21-year-old man is jailed in the deaths of a Wisconsin couple he killed because he wanted to kidnap their teenage daughter, investigators said Friday, a day after the girl approached a stranger along a rural road saying she’d been abducted in October and held against her will.

SAN FRANCISCO (January 11, 2019) — A U.S. judge will hear arguments Friday over California’s attempt to block new rules by the Trump administration that would allow more employers to opt out of providing no-cost birth control to women.

CAIRO (January 11, 2019) — U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo brought the Trump administration’s anti-Iran message to Gulf Arab states on Friday, arriving in Bahrain to continue a nine-nation tour of the Middle East aimed at reassuring America’s partners that withdrawing troops from Syria does not mean Washington is abandoning the region.

WASHINGTON (January 11, 2019) — Thousands of requests by men to bring in child and adolescent brides to live in the United States were approved over the past decade, according to government data obtained by The Associated Press. In one case, a 49-year-old man applied for admission for a 15-year-old girl.

Chuck Norris Dropkicks Democrat Talking Points, Endorses THIS Savvy Solution…

Written by Wes Walker on January 11, 2019

Oh, ChuckandNancy (Chancy?) want MEXICO to pay for it? They are going to LOVE this!

For decades now, we’ve seen Democrats with their political double-speak. They’re like Lucie holding the football for Charlie Brown, making bold assurances of one thing, and pulling the ball away when it comes time to make good on it.

Little things… like pledging to tighten security AFTER Republicans give ground on Democrat pet policy initiatives.

You didn’t really think they’d keep their end of the bargain, did you? Sure, the Secure Fence Act of 2006 put $50B into building a double-fence border barrier. But there was no real political will to actually proceed with using that money for the intended purpose.

Three years later, Chuck was still telling us how important that wall was, and how big a problem illegal aliens are for America generally. We should know, we’ve got the video.

But now, with the Partial Shutdown into its third week, and with the talks between Congress and the White House grinding to a halt, Chuck Norris and Ted Cruz coming to the rescue.

Norris drew attention to a piece of legislation that was just re-introduced into the Senate by Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz that would use the seized funds of convicted drug cartel overlords for border security and border wall construction.

Cruz cleverly named his bill the “Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order Act — or EL CHAPO Act — named for the arrested kingpin of the Mexico-based Sinaloa drug cartel, Joaquin Archivaldo “El Chapo” Guzman Lorea, from whom roughly $14 billion has been seized and would be forfeited if El Chapo is convicted.
…“If you didn’t know, El Chapo is almost entirely responsible for the majority of drugs that come up through the U.S. southern border. As the co-founder and head of the Sinaloa Cartel, he is the #1 supplier of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines into the U.S. If you or your loved ones have ever tried or been addicted to illegal drugs, odds are they originated from the Sinaloa Cartel.”

Norris proceeded to cite several examples of how widely the Sinaloa’s drug trafficking network operated inside the U.S., as well as the vast accumulation of wealth the cartel has received in illicit drug money, and how the estimated $14 billion that would be forfeited upon El Chapo’s conviction would be more than enough to cover the construction of a border wall where necessary.

“Is Sen. Cruz’s EL CHAPO Act not a brilliant idea to fund the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico? And guess what? A Mexican pays for it after all — one evil hombre who has repeatedly raped America’s communities and the souls of precious millions through narcotics and other criminalities for the past three decades,” wrote Norris.
Source: ConservativeTribune

Fourteen Billion would build a pretty good chunk of that wall, wouldn’t it? And isn’t El Chapo even from … Mexico?

That would certainly qualify as ‘Promises kept’, Mr. President!

Unlike the ridiculously-named ‘Affordable Care Act’ or other bills we’ve seen in the past, the name on this one even says what it really means. Bonus points for working El Chapo into an acronym.

This seems like it should be a slam dunk, doesn’t it?

On what possible grounds would Democrats object to using drug smuggler money to fund a secure border?

This even strips ‘Chancy’ of usual go-to talking points:

— it’s waste of taxpayer money

— he promised Mexico would pay for it.

If this passes, America wins twice over.

Taxpayers shoulder less of the financial burden of protecting against criminal syndicates looking to exploit America’s wealth.

And, as Drug Smugglers get convicted, their money goes back to protecting our border which ALSO allows other assets to be redeployed to ports of entry, reducing contraband illegally entering the nation.

Why would they possibly oppose it?

Alabama’s attorney general urged Congress Friday to support the state’s push for the Census not to count undocumented immigrants when deciding the number of congressional seats for each state.

Steve Marshall, who recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of the state, said Alabama stands to lose one of seven congressional seats and one of its nine electoral votes if undocumented immigrants aren’t excluded from the apportionment process.

Could it be to disenfranchise states in Flyover Country, and centralize more clout in States who have no regard for the rule of law?

Is That what Palmieri’s memo really meant?

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” the memo read.

It finished, “If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond.”

He’s made some solid progress already. Massively cutting Red Tape, and cutting taxes was a good start. Breaking the back of ISIS and bringing our trade partners to the table, was good too.

But there’s still plenty of work to be done in setting things straight in Washington.

Dear CNN: Dems Fund These Ridiculous Things But Not The Border Wall — Is That News?

Written by Wes Walker on January 11, 2019

Democrats ‘tough stand’ against the wall pretends to be about protecting us from Trump’s needless wasteful spending. We’re calling BS on that one.

You need look no further than ‘Citizens against Government waste‘.

With Trump asking for between $5 and $6 Billion to get started on our big beautiful wall, it’s helpful to see what other government projects already approved seem to think that was justifiable. Notice these amounts are higher than the amount wanted for the wall.

Here’s a small sampling of a longer list.

“Rural Utility Service.” This program costs taxpayers $8.2 billion/year and has no actual purpose after its original intent — bringing electricity to rural communities — was long ago achieved. It’s now being used to bring broadband access to small communities (usually with populations of less than 20,000). However there’s no indication the “beneficiaries” of this expensive government agency actually appreciate the program and the majority of its projects are not completed on time or within budget.
Sugar Subsidies. America, as Democrats frequently intone, faces a health crisis. What they don’t tell us is that it’s largely of their own making, as Congress subsidizes the production of unhealthy foods like sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Eliminating sugar subsidies alone would save $6 billion, enough to fund the border wall; it would also have the added benefit of helping curb the nation’s obesity epidemic.
The United Nations. As the United Nation’s largest contributor, the U.S. in 2016 donated $10 billion to the U.N. As CAGW notes, reducing these contributions just 25 percent would create a savings of $12.5 billion over 10 years. Of the money Congress appropriates for the United Nations, 5 million taxpayer dollars are itemized for abortions in foreign countries.
Waste, Fraud, and Abuse. The Government Accountability Office estimates taxpayers are spending more than $137 billion annually on “payment errors,” which covers all manner of waste, fraud, and abuse within Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The feds could implement the same kind of fraud protections credit card companies used to ensure against abuse, but don’t. In fact, Congress has gone in the opposite direction, winding down the program intended to police fraud within Medicare, the so-called Recovery Audit Contractor. In other words, Congress is knowingly funding tens of billions of dollars of fraud annually.

Another Leftist Wet Dream DYING in 2019

Authored By Kevin Jackson |

Leftists believe that everybody born deserves a living, even if they don’t support themselves. After all, none of us asked to be born, right!? So what you squander your life, you still deserve to have somebody provide for you. Isn’t that the humane thing to do for people?

That’s what many on the Left have told us. But their cure for life appears to be on its deathbed.

As Technocracy News reports,

Silicon Valley loves the idea of universal basic income. Many in the tech elites tout it as the answer to job losses caused by automation, if only people would give it a chance.

The idea is that all citizens receive a set amount of money from the government to cover food, housing, and clothing, without regard to income or employment status. This minimum stipend can be supplemented with wages from work. Advocates say it will help fight poverty by giving people the flexibility to find work and strengthen their safety net, or that it offers a way to support people who might be negatively affected by automation.

Automation? How does automation negatively affect somebody? That’s like saying the remote control put TV-channel-changers out of work.

Automation is technological advancement. That means, mankind advances. How many people did the computer put to work? Here’s one answer.

If you’re looking for a college major that gives you an incredible job outlook, we have two words for you: computer science.

There are almost 10 times more US computing jobs open right now than there were students who graduated with computer science degrees in 2015.

(…)

The Obama White House predicted that by 2020, there would be 1.4 million computer-science-related jobs available, and only about 400,000 computer science graduates who have the skills necessary to apply for those jobs. Keep in mind these are just “open” jobs. What about the many that have been filled? Further, what about the jobs that will be created as time continues- the illusive “new jobs.” And we are only talking about the United States.

So millions of computer-related jobs have been created. And try to imagine doing your job without the help of a computer, or the software that runs it. Excel, Word, the accounting package your company uses, and so on. The amount of time saved in man-hours is incalculable. Further, the computer exploded the career choices of many. Graphic artists, writers, audio-visual, etc. People don’t even need to be creative as they can sell (or resell) on eBay, or earn money from a blog.

In short, millions of people need to contribute nothing to the world, and yet can still make a living. However, there are Leftists losers who still want something for nothing mandated by the government.

The idea of universal basic income seem to be falling flat, however.

The article continues,

Back in June we declared, “Basic income could work—if you do it Canada style.” We talked to the people on the ground getting the checks in Ontario’s 4,000-person test and saw how it was changing the community. Then, just two months later, it was announced that the program is ending in the new year rather than running for three years. The last checks will be delivered to participants in March 2019.

We’ve been waiting for basic-income data for a while. In 2016, MIT Technology Review predicted that “in 2017, we will find out if basic income makes sense.” There were two main tests we were waiting on. First there was Finland’s promising basic-income program, which received a lot of hype when it was launched in 2017. Then, in 2018, it was revealed that the program would not yet be extended beyond its original trial period. Another experiment, from tech incubator Y Combinator, has also faced more delays, pushing the experiment into 2019.

The experiment has been delayed by the Trump Effect.

The election of Donald Trump stirred the souls of many. People who were previously idle got jobs. Most got real jobs, and not the menial jobs of the Obama era. Others became entrepreneurs. Their creative juices flowing, they now invent and hope to become the next new idea billionaire.

Human nature detests dependency on another. One can be trained to accept nothing but charity, but soon that charity becomes entitlement. Let’s hope the Trump Era restores sanity to the idiots who wish to change man’s innate nature.

Sheila Jackson Lee Says the Unthinkable About Killing of Black Girl by Black Man

Reported By Benjamin Arie | January 10, 2019 at 6:28am

A tragic death that was wrongly held up as a racial attack has forced many on the left to quickly backpedal, but a Democrat congresswoman is bizarrely doubling-down on her inflammatory rhetoric.

Back on Dec. 30, a 7-year-old girl named Jazmine Barnes was shot and killed in Houston. Barnes was black, a fact that should not matter but quickly became a major factor in the case. At first, authorities thought a white man may have been involved in the crime. They posted details about a person of interest in the case, but made it clear that this was only one of several angles they were looking into.

As it turns out, two men have been arrested in the case and charged with capital murder in Jazmine’s death, according to USA Today. Both men are black, and authorities now think the killing was a case of mistaken identity.

The first arrest was announced Sunday. The second on Tuesday. But before those arrests were made, and apparently eager to push a specific narrative, voices including “social justice” activist Shaun King used online platforms to openly declare that a racist white man had murdered the black girl, despite the fact that this was nothing but speculation.

“A 40 y/o white man w/ a beard … pulled up on 7 y/o Jazmine Barnes and her family near a Houston Walmart and shot and killed her,” King posted on Jan. 1 to over a million followers from his verified Twitter account.

Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee quickly jumped into the fray. During a news conference on Friday, she declared that the girl had been the target of a racially motivated hate crime.

“I believe – and having written hate crime legislation, knowing the criteria, I believe that this should be looked at as a hate crime,” the outspoken liberal declared. “We don’t want to have on the street someone who is willing to kill children and possibly kill them in the name of hate.”

She said similar things the next day, saying “do not be afraid to call this what it seems to be — a hate crime,” according to ABC News and The New York Times.

An attorney working with Barnes’ family echoed the same theme, and seemed to blame the girl’s tragic death on widespread racism in America. “(W)e do believe that (the killing) was racially motivated in part because our nation at this moment is highly racially charged,” he declared, according to Fox News.

That narrative, of course, quickly fell apart with the arrests of the first black suspect.

Incredibly, however, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee refused to acknowledge that she may have wrongly rushed to call the incident a hate crime and essentially pin it on white America — when a black man has reportedly confessed to the killing.

“Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, when asked Sunday by a reporter about some of the comments made in the aftermath of the young girl’s death in Houston on Dec. 30, said it was ‘absolutely not’ irresponsible to make that suggestion,” Fox News reported.

“(N)othing is irresponsible when it comes to the loss of a precious 7- or 8-year old,” the Democrat pushed back.

Nobody disputes that the girl’s death was tragic and senseless, but for a sitting congresswoman to say that “nothing is irresponsible” when pushing potentially inflammatory narratives about a matter of life and death is an appalling statement.

Really, nothing is irresponsible, ever? What she’s essentially saying is that the ends always justify the means, at least when a victim happens to be a certain race.

What if a man had been wrongly linked to a crime he didn’t commit because people like Jackson Lee refused to wait before all the facts had come in? What if people incorrectly believed that racism was behind the girl’s death, and a wedge of hate between Americans was driven even further?

The fact of the matter is that yes, there is a point where this is very irresponsible. When someone is killed, what they and their families deserve is calm and clear-eyed justice, not widespread speculation and race-baiting.

Jumping to the wrong conclusions and making everything about race — facts be damned — is exactly how shameful lynchings used to happen in our country’s darker times. That was deeply wrong then, and would be just as wrong now even if the skin colors involved were switched.

We need less inflammatory rhetoric, not more. We need the patience to wait for facts, not a rush to push narratives over reality. Yet liberals like Jackson Lee seem to view everything through the lens of racism, even when it’s not there.

That’s sad … and if she truly wants a better America for all races, she should acknowledge that her words sowed seeds of division, and think carefully before fanning racial flames. We can all be better than that.

Interfaith dialogue a ‘Trojan horse’ within evangelicalism

Authored by J.M. Phelps (OneNewsNow.com) | Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Bible in lap (black-and-white)A Christian filmmaker says by defending faith, family, and freedoms, and exposing Islam and communism, American evangelicals are performing a service that is “vital to national security” – and interfaith dialogue, he argues, is the greatest threat to evangelicals.

Evangelical Christians in the U.S. are under attack by Islamists and Marxists, says Brannon Howse, founder of Worldview Weekend, because they are “the only real obstacles [to America] being completely overtaken” by those groups. When the Judeo-Christian ethic of America falters, he affirms, “we are done as a constitutional republic,” because it is Christian faith which promotes the defense of a constitutional republic based on a Judeo-Christian worldview.

Howse also declares the greatest threat to evangelicals, specifically, is interfaith dialogue. An egregious example of that, he says, came from the words of Sayyid Qutb – the late Muslim Brotherhood leader – who declared that “interfaith dialogue is a one-way bridge to bring the non-Muslim to the side of the Muslim – not the other way around.”

Islamists aren’t the only ones who use that tactic, says Howse.

“Interfaith dialogue is [also] being promoted by Marxist groups like the Gamaliel Network,” he tells OneNewsNow. The Gamaliel Network can be found in over 17 states and was “expanded greatly” in the 1980s, says Howse, by a former Jesuit priest by the name of Gregory Galluzzo. He notes Galluzzo studied under Saul Alinsky and helped to bring Barack Obama to Chicago to be a community organizer.

deception red markerHowse emphasizes that the Gamaliel Network promotes interfaith dialogue because “they understand the importance of what Karl Marx, the father of communism understood.” He understood “the Hegelian dialectic process – pitting opposites against each other so there can be a merging or a synthesis – and that’s exactly what Saul Alinsky taught” Galluzzo to do.

Alinsky taught that “change comes from the conflict,” Howse continues.

“You get people to conflict; you get them to have chaos,” he explains – then they “tire of the conflict [and become] “willing compromise to have unity and to have peace, so everybody can get along.”

Having learned that tactic from Alinsky, Galluzzo then expanded the Gamaliel Network by using “Christian terms and Christian names” and “twisting Scripture” to create confusion amongst evangelicals.

“So, the greatest threat right now facing evangelical Christians,” Howse believes, “is interfaith dialogue coming at us from both the Marxists and Islamists.”

And that, says Howse, is the reason he produced the new six-hour documentary Sabotage. “[The film] is all about understanding how the Islamists, the Marxists, and their useful idiots are destroying America from within,” he adds.

Sadly, says Howse, “some of these useful idiots are coming from inside evangelicalism – [from those] who don’t understand either Islam nor do they understand Marxism.” In which case, he continues, they suggest the “things we’re promoting [are] conspiracy. [But] their ignorance doesn’t make me a conspiracy theorist; it just makes them ignorant [to the facts].”

Howse accurately paraphrases the words of evangelist Vance Havner, who said: “The devil is not fighting religion …. He is producing a counterfeit Christianity, so much like the real one that good Christians are afraid to speak out against it.”

“And that’s what we have today with so-called Christian useful idiots giving way to social justice, a social gospel, white privilege, reparation, and interfaith dialogue,” Howse concludes. “This is how you destroy a nation from within: with a Trojan horse.”

Dem leaders witness push for new Red revolution

Authored by Chad Groening, Billy Davis (OneNewsNow.com) | Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Ocasio-Cortez on "60 Minutes"The newest faces of the Democratic Party suggest the party’s love affair with far-left politics is gaining momentum, angering their leaders, and turning off the public, says a public policy analyst.

The swearing-in of congressional lawmakers made national headlines last week, most notably since Rep. Nancy Pelosi was handed the gavel after Democrats made huge gains in November’s election and wrestled control of the House of Representatives from Republicans.

What do you suspect Dem leaders are saying to ambitious new lawmakers behind closed doors? (Choose up to two)
‘Baby steps, it takes baby steps’‘Cuba is our model, too’‘Stay on message please’‘Tell me again: what are your committee assignments?’‘Trump is the enemy’‘Yeah, we’re gonna impeach him’

But it was the fresh faces in Congress that made the most news, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old Democrat who is making history as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She is also an avowed socialist and in recent days touted her “Green New Deal” that includes a whopping 70-percent top tax rate on the wealthiest Americans to finance a move from fossil fuels to renewable energy within 10 years.

gasoline pumpsNot only does the “Green New Deal” plan to move the U.S. from gas and oil, writes Rich Lowry, quoting from draft legislation, it also promises to tackle gender inequality, deliver a “basic income,” and provide “universal health care.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American elected to Congress, made headlines over the foul language she used — she dropped the raunchiest of swear words — when she addressed a raucous crowd of far-left activists. It was also not lost on the public that Tlaib also promised to impeach President Trump in that speech, a plan that excites the Far Left at the same time Pelosi and other leaders claim impeachment is not in their plans. Tlaib also made headlines for another reason: a wall map in her new congressional office was altered with a note denoting non-existent “Palestine” over the current country of Israel.

Hamilton

“The thing that is concerning to me,” observes Abe Hamilton of the American Family Association, “is we literally now have a major national political party that is openly become a socialist party. That should be concerning to all Americans because that is where we are.”

Writing at conservative website RedState, Joe Cunningham advises the political whispering in D.C. is that Pelosi and Schumer are “furious” that the freshman Democrats are “stealing the spotlight” then doing “dumb things” with the publicity they’re enjoying.

The leaders were particularly angry with Ocasio-Cortez for her “60 Minutes” interview, when she claimed she was “morally right” after being confronted over her “fuzzy math” about government spending, according to Cunningham.

Democratic Socialists of America“This is a larger problem for the Democrats,” Cunningham observes. “They were happy to sit back and laugh as Republicans fought amongst themselves during the Obama years, but now they find themselves in the middle of their own Tea Party moment – one which they can thank Bernie Sanders for.”

Hamilton tells OneNewsNow the far-left agenda on display in the nation’s capital does not play well with mainstream America.

CNN praises NY Dem socialist“The 2016 election revealed that the Democrat Party had become a coastal and regional party — it was no longer a national party,” he observes. “And I think that rings true still today, when you have these extreme elements who’ve gained control and momentum within the Democrat Party. They will soon learn that the American people are not on board with the radical socialist agenda.”

In his concluding words in the RedState commentary, Cunningham predicts that powerful Democratic leaders are now fighting with ambitous progressives for the future direction of the party.

GOP Congressional Members Introduce Constitutional Amendment To Enact Term Limits

Authored By C. Douglas Golden | January 5, 2019 at 2:13pm

A new bill from two top Republicans would limit most people to 18 years in Congress via a constitutional amendment — something that’s bound to have career bureaucrats infuriated.

The amendment, according to CNN, is being introduced in the House and Senate by Rep. Francis Rooney of Florida and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, respectively.

“For too long, members of Congress have abused their power and ignored the will of the American people,” Cruz said.

Term limits on members of Congress offer a solution to the brokenness we see in Washington, D.C. It is long past time for Congress to hold itself accountable. I urge my colleagues to submit this constitutional amendment to the states for speedy ratification.”

Cruz had introduced a similar bill in 2017, but failed to gain traction.

The plan would limit House members to three terms of two years each and senators to two terms of six years each. This means that most people would be limited to 18 years in office, and only if they are elected to one office and then the other.

The language makes it technically possible to serve up to slightly less than 22 years if they’re appointed or elected to fill less than a half-term.

This, according to Rooney, is closer to what the nation’s founders envisioned.

“The founders never envisioned a professional political class,” Rooney said during an interview on Fox News Saturday.

“This is a much better way than having these entrenched politicians who are too aligned with special interests over a period of years. I would say 18 years is plenty of time to serve your country in.”

Neither Cruz nor Rooney would really be benefiting from the arrangement, should any politician be seen as having benefited personally from term limits. Rooney, 65, was first elected in 2016 and would be eligible to serve in the House until 2022. Cruz, who just won his second term, would be out of Congress in 2024.

It’s worth noting, however, that Rooney could possibly take over for Sen. Marco Rubio, who would be term-limited out if he won the Republican nomination. (Lest you think Rubio would be upset about it, consider that he’s a co-sponsor of the bill — along with Mike Lee of Utah and David Perdue of Georgia.)

And Cruz, who came to the Senate from a position as Texas’ solicitor general, could also technically run for the House if he so chose.

Incidentally, if you think that the bill can’t win bipartisan support, consider there was another major Democratic voice calling for term limits this election cycle: Beto O’Rourke, Cruz’s opponent.

“People in Texas and across the country recognize that members of Congress often focus on re-election at the expense of addressing the challenges our country faces,” O’Rourke said in a piece posted to Medium.

“We see that the longer you serve in Congress, the less connected, the less responsive, the less accountable you can become to the people you represent. And we recognize that imposing term limits on members of Congress — along with getting PAC money out of our politics and putting an end to gerrymandering — will help breathe new life and new ideas into our democracy.”

If even Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke can come together on something, maybe Congress can, too.

Mehlman: Border wall really barrier to Dems’ dreams

Reported by Chad Groening (OneNewsNow.com) | Monday, January 7, 2018

U.S.-Mexico border fence (new)

Technology is helpful to detect and arrest illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, says an advocate for immigration enforcement, but it cannot replace physical barriers that stop their progress.

As the partial government shutdown continues into a third week, both President Donald Trump and Democratic leaders are digging in their heels over funding a border wall, a key promise of Trump’s 2016 campaign but a boogey man to Democrats who want to stop him from achieving that goal.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have claimed they support night vision cameras and sensors along the border rather than a physical barrier.

“We favor smart, effective border security,” Schumer has said, “not a medieval wall.”

Pelosi, meanwhile, made headlines in recent weeks by calling a border wall “immoral” then, in past days, described it as an “immorality between countries.”

Republicans, however, have pointed out that liberal Democrats voted for a 2006 bill that poured millions into a border fence, and talk radio and Twitter have been asking if supporting that border fence was an “immoral” vote, too.

Meanwhile, footage of Schumer defending U.S. sovereignty and referring to illegals as “illegal aliens” — now considered a derogatory term to far-left activists — has materialized as well as the border battle heats up.

Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says Democrats object to a wall

Mehlman

because it clashes with their progressive vision of an open border. Their claims to push technology are suspect, he says, because those measures fail to keep illegals from stepping onto U.S. property.

“A wall actually does,” he insists. “And we’ve seen evidence of that around San Diego with the caravan that came up from Central America. Most of the people remained on the other side of the border because there is a wall there.”

Oval Office fight

Mehlman likens the idea of technology to a home security system but says a border barrier is much like an old-fashioned lock on the door.

“If you had to choose between locks on the doors and windows, and censors on the doors and windows,” he observes, “I think most people would choose the locks.”

What any new border barrier will look like, if it ever happens, is up in the air: Trump has stated in recent days that steel fencing — “steel slat barriers” — would be suitable, and that idea is being mocked by Democrats over his campaign promise of a concrete wall.

According to The Daily Caller, however, Trump is listening to the advice of Border Patrol leaders who have shown him prototypes of border structures. The most suitable structure depends on the terrain, flooding, and if the area if a favorite for illegal entry, the story explained.

As far as the Democrats mocking the idea of a wall, Mehlman says walls might be a medieval idea but they have worked for thousands of years.

“The wheel’s been around for a long time but it works,” he says, “and so does the wall.”
