Maybe all of those celebs should look at what’s going on in their own backyard before lecturing folks in Alabama and Georgia.
Hollywood celebrities and a few production companies have decided that they are going to try to apply pressure to governments in states that pass pro-life laws by depriving them of their esteemed presence.
Really celebs?
Ok, then. Maybe y’all can step just outside of Tinseltown and hang back in Los Angeles with the ballooning homeless problem, feces on the streets, rats, and medieval diseases.
Seems like a fair trade.
The shocking conditions in downtown Los Angeles reveal just how much of a sh*thole the place has become, all because of “compassionate” leftist policies.
A decision made by the city council to not cap the total amount of property that homeless people could keep on Skid Row was announced last Wednesday. Some city officials saw the move as wrongheaded and that it would “only perpetuate the public health crisis that already exists” on there.
The streets of Skid Row have become home to around 4200 people in tents and shantytowns spread across 50 blocks.
…councilmen Joe Buscaino slammed the decision, saying: ‘The settlement will only perpetuate the public health crisis that already exists in Skid Row and will set a precedent for the rest of the city that will normalize encampments.
‘The city is sending a clear signal that we are turning the sidewalks in Skid Row into free, unlimited public storage, doing a disservice to the residents of Los Angeles, especially to those living on the streets.’
Images from the downtown area show trash piling up as workers struggle to keep the area sanitized. They are pictured wearing face masks among the dirt and grime.
Recently, a Los Angeles police detective was diagnosed with typhoid fever, a disease that was all but eliminated in the United States in the last hundred years. Most people that contract typhoid fever do so in underdeveloped nations where contamination of the water supply can occur. Several other officers that work in the same Central Division station are showing symptoms of typhoid fever as well. The Central Division polices downtown Los Angeles, including the increasingly filthy Skid Row area.
Dustin DeRollo, a union spokesman, said officers who patrol Skid Row ‘walk through the feces, urine and trash’ – conditions that ‘should alarm everyone and must be addressed.’
…
The police union has demanded better protective equipment for officers and called for the station to be regularly sanitized.
The Police Department said exposed areas of the Central Division were being disinfected and officials were reviewing the state’s ‘concerning’ report that found health violations at the station.
The building lacked an effective extermination program and had ‘rats/rodents, fleas, roaches, flies, gnats, mosquitoes and grasshoppers,’ according to the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health’s May 14 report.
There is also a growing rat problem, and those rats carry fleas that carry disease. Los Angeles has no plan to control the exploding rat population………..

A.F. Branco has taken his two greatest passions, (art and politics) and translated them into the cartoons that have been popular all over the country, in various news outlets including “Fox News”, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and “The Washington Post.” He has been recognized by such personalities as Dinesh D’Souza, James Woods, Sarah Palin, Larry Elder, Lars Larson, the great El Rushbo, and has had his toons tweeted by President Trump.
Coyotes are giving smuggling discounts to migrant parents who lend their young children to other migrants at the border, says a report by the Center for Immigration Studies.
“The child, real parent, unrelated adult client, and smuggler often make the trip together,” said the report by Todd Bensman, a former manager at the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division. ”Only at the border is the child and bogus birth certificate given over to the paying migrant, who is expected to return the child days or weeks later once everyone is inside the United States,” he said.
Bensman spoke with Monica Mapel, an ICE agent in San Antonio, Texas, after she led a study into the novel child-trading scheme.
“I have current examples where they [the unrelated adult male] had never met them [the child] until the transportation to the U.S. began,”Mapel told Bensman. The adult male told the ICE agents that “I have no idea who the child is. I never met him before until I got on the transport. The child was given to me and the birth certificate was provided. The mom was on the bus,”she added.
The child-trading is made profitable by Congress’ refusal to fix the 2015 Flores Catch-and-Release loophole. The policy bars the detention of adults for more than 20 days, so the migrants and the cartel-tied coyotes have an incentive to bring and share many children so every migrant can get a child and walk through border fences via the Flores loophole.
Once through the border, the migrants are supposed to return the children to the mother, and then get blue-collar jobs to repay the cartel’s labor-trafficking business.
Democratic legislators have been silent about the child trading and the loopholes which make the journey possible, but very vocal about young migrants who die on the last stage of the journey into the United States. Republicans did little to close the loopholes when they held the House and Senate in 2017 and 2018.
Democrats and Republicans are also silent about the harms suffered by children of blue-collar Americans who are stuck in classrooms alongside migrant children who speak little or no English.
Bensman reported how the child trade works:
Mapel said human smugglers or brokers in home countries cut package deals where a parent provides a child (especially if parents have more than one) to a child-less migrant for a fee or an in-kind reduction in the real parent’s own smuggling fee. Such packages can reach $7,000 for transportation, food, doctored birth certificates, and the child.
“If you have children to spare during your trip to the U.S., your trip is not as expensive,” she explained.
…
To best maintain a ruse where the child is unable to blow the cover, Mapel said, young children are preferred, especially infants and toddlers who can’t answer questions or make mistakes. Border Patrol has often reported the arrival of single men carrying infants without baby formula, bottles, diapers or any other accoutrements indicating infant caretaking.
“I think it’s because they [a young child] won’t make a mistake in a facility. To them, it’s just a trip. They clearly have no idea what’s happening,”Mapel said.
The trade is dangerous and traumatizing for the migrant children, Bensman reported:
“In the cases I’m looking at,”Mapel said. “the mother lost track of that child. That child is now in another person’s custody because they didn’t reunite or something, somewhere.”
Others may be abandoned in the field. Plenty of abandoned-child cases have come to the attention of federal agents, such a 3-year-old boy found recently near McAllen, Texas, crying alone in a corn field, the only tie to his family possibly the phone number written on one of his shoes. While it’s unclear whether those children had been used for the asylum loophole entry, Mapel described the vulnerability that complicit parents allow by turning their kids over to others, during detention and after release, as “just foul.”
“It’s a new low for humanity that you would give your child away like this to a stranger or friend,” she said. “I’d hate to see something happen to that child after the handoff occurs. They are with somebody who is not their parent. What if fake mom or fake dad needed to make medical decisions for the child? Just some random guy is going to be saying it’s ok to do this procedure at a hospital? It’s just not right; the person who is supposed to be protecting them is not there.”
…
Mapel said she believes true mothers and fathers who participate in faux family schemes should be subjected to child endangerment charges and perhaps something new that could bring [a] higher penalty.
“DHS has seen many examples of family unit fraud; you’ve victimized your child. A young, young child is sitting in a facility. If these children ended up with ORR, there’re no hugs. There’re no kisses. What are they, Facetiming? What are you doing to see your child? And yes, you did do that to him. That seems like child endangerment. So yes, I think children are the pawns in this scheme.”
The inflow of children is huge. The Washington Postreported May 28:
Nearly 169,000 youths have surrendered at the southern border in the first seven months of this fiscal year, and more than half are ages 12 and under, according to federal records and officials familiar with Customs and Border Protection statistics. Minors now account for nearly 37 percent of all crossings — far above previous eras, when most underage migrants were teenagers and accounted for 10 percent to 20 percent of all crossings.
The migration is also emptying towns in Central America. On April 21, the Wall Street Journalreported:
COLOTENANGO, Guatemala—Gloria Velásquez is used to saying goodbye. Four of her six siblings have migrated to the U.S. and she, too, is thinking about heading north with her 9-year-old daughter.
…
Ms. Velásquez said her four siblings in the U.S. are encouraging her to join them. Her daughter Helen Ixchel likes to teach language and mathematics to fellow children. She wants to learn English and become a teacher.
“I’m a bit scared [about going to the U.S.] after hearing all the news about the suffering of migrants at the border. But it’s my daughter’s greatest dream,” Ms. Velásquez said.
But the flow of migrants provides U.S. employers with an extra supply of tough, compliant, low-wage workers just as labor shortages are forcing companies to raise pay for Americans. The extra labor supply also reduces U.S. employers’ incentive to hire the population 12 million unemployed or underemployed Americans, some of whom are sidelined by disability, underinvestment in rural areas, or drugs, or even to hire U.S. factory workers to build labor-saving machinery.
Data released by the Department of Homeland Security shows that a huge volume of migrants is getting work permits for U.S. jobs.
From October 2015 to September 2016, for example, 270,000 migrants got work permits via the (c)(8) process, and another 78,000 migrants got paroled and got work permits via the “Paroled pursuant to INA 212(d)(5)” category.
In the next fiscal year of 2017, the regular number spiked to 403,000, but the parole number dropped to 59,000 as Trump’s deputies curbed the parole number. In 2018, the regular number dipped to 345,000, and the parole number lurched down to 18,000.
DHS officials have refused to tell Breitbart News how long the work permits last, so they are hiding the number of migrants getting new work permits or extended work permits.
Immigration Numbers
Each year, roughly four million young Americans join the workforce after graduating from high school or university.
But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants and refreshes a resident population of roughly 1.5 million white-collar visa workers — including roughly one million H-1B workers — and approximately 500,000 blue-collar visa workers.
The government also prints out more than one million work permits for foreigners, tolerates about eight million illegal workers, and does not punish companies for employing the hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who sneak across the border or overstay their legal visas each year.
This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth for investorsbecause it ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.
This policy of flooding the market with cheap, foreign, white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor also shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors, even as it also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, and hurts children’s schools and college educations. It also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions. The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the heartland to the coastal cities, explodes rents and housing costs, shrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces.
A group of immigration hardliners who used millions of crowdfunded dollars to build a border barrier on private land along the U.S.-Mexico border unveiled the nearly completed half-mile steel bollard fence Thursday following construction delays.
The 2,300-feet-long project marks the first time a nongovernment organization or individual has built a wall on privately owned land on the international boundary. It runs up a rocky 320-feet-tall hill and is 18 to 20 feet tall, depending on the point on the hill where it is measured.
Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, former Kansas State Secretary Kris Kobach, World Series MLB player Curt Schilling, Blackwater USA founder Erik Prince, and other longtime supporters of President Trump were on site at the project in Sunland Park, N.M., to showcase the fence, which stands on less than half a mile of the 1,954-mile border.
The undertaking has evolved, prompting questions about how money is being spent and the Trump administration’s involvement in the process.
Brian Kolfage, a triple amputee veteran, created a crowdfunding page in December with the intent of raising $1 billion for border wall construction following the Trump administration’s failure to obtain $25 billion for the project last December. The GoFundMe website did not state where the wall would be built or any other details. Kolfage vowed to return everyone’s money if the project did not reach $1 billion.
Kolfage insisted the campaign was not a scam despite having run a since-shuttered Facebook “news” page known for spreading conspiracy theories. He was also sued in 2017 after he reported the wrong name of the suspect involved in the fatal car accident during a white supremacy rally in Charlottesville, Va.
Kolfage’s page did not come close to its $1 billion goal and topped out at $22.9 million earlier this year. The more than 330,000 people who donated were informed by GoFundMe that they were eligible for a refund because Kolfage had changed the terms of the fundraiser to move to a different fund money people did not request back.
Weeks ahead of the crowdfunding campaign’s failure, Kolfage had launched We Build the Wall, Inc., a 501(c)4 nonprofit organization. Bannon, Kobach, and other staunch conservatives who have been criticized as anti-immigrant were appointed to the organization’s board. The money from the crowdfunding campaign was then funneled to the outside organization.
About the same time this spring, Bannon and fellow board members, including former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, held a couple rallies in Midwestern cities to raise money for the organization, though they have not shared how much they raised in addition to the crowdfunding dollars.
Tommy Fisher, president and CEO of Fisher Industries, was paid to install the steel fence and said it is expected to come in at $7 million after taxes.
We Build the Wall has raised nearly $23 million for the project, though it is unclear how the nonprofit group plans to spend the remaining donations. The group did not respond to a request for comment.
Fisher told the Washington Examiner on Thursday he got involved in the project in April after receiving a call about his company’s claims it could build a mile of border wall per day. We Build the Wall officials, including Kobach, attended a demonstration of the construction in Coolidge, Ariz., last month.
Fisher said the organization signed a contract for him to build the half-mile portion of steel fence over the course of eight days, but it took longer because the city of Sunland Park shut down construction for two days. The suspension was lifted Wednesday.
Despite the board’s connections to Trump, organizers have insisted the project is not affiliated with the White House.
That claim was called into question in a recent Washington Post article that said Trump was adamant about the Army Corps of Engineers hiring Fisher Industries to carry out border wall projects.
Fisher dismissed being described as having lobbied Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., to get his name in front of Trump and insisted Trump was calling for the Pentagon to hire his company because of personal frustration with the less than 40 miles of border wall that has been installed in the two years and four months that he has been in office.

I ask, where are you Christian Americans who will stand and be counted and represent your people and faithfully execute your duty before God (Romans 13:1-5)?
Where are true, God-fearing Americans that take seriously the responsibility of the civil magistrate as the minister of God? Where are those who seek to uphold the law rather than violate it like Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Attorney General Keith Ellison?
Where are you Christians? Are you willing to simply sit back and let your country be taken by antichrists? (1 John 2:22; 2:18; 4:2–3; 2 John 1:7).
If your idea is to simply live and let live and not war against the schemes of the devil and not bring forth the true Gospel that saves, along with opposing those who are at war with God, then your Christianity is missing something important.
I encourage you, if you believe you should move into the political realm to represent your people, as well as honor your Creator, I would implore you to do so. Contact me, and I’ll support you as best I am able by the means God has given me.
Most people no matter their political leaning, most people would think that investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson attempts to be fair and factual in her reporting. So, when the former CBS reporter took to The Hill in an op-ed concerning the continued pursuit by Democrats on alleged obstruction of a crime that wasn’t, she wrote that it smacked of “desperation.”
A friend of mine who is — I’ll just say it — a devoted Trump-hater recently was talking about President Trump’s obstruction and asked what I thought.
After listening to his views, I told him there’s plenty about which to criticize the president, as is true of any political leader. But the obstruction charge doesn’t make logical sense. I used an analogy to explain why. When I finished, this friend still hated Trump — but surprised me by saying, “Nobody’s ever explained it that way. That makes sense. You should write about it.”
Obviously, I don’t kid myself that this analogy will “make sense” to everyone. But after listening to both sides and looking at the publicly available evidence, here’s how I see it:
If you were a person of some authority and murdered someone, and prosecutors set out to investigate, and if you spoke publicly against the investigation, proclaiming your innocence and calling the probe a “witch hunt,” and if you worked behind the scenes to use your influence to fire the lead investigator on the murder case — that would seem to be a pretty clear case of obstruction of justice. You, as a guilty man, would be trying to stop authorities from finding out the truth.
But imagine, on the other hand, that you are innocent — accused of a murder you didn’t commit. Not only that, imagine you knew there was no murder to begin with because you saw the victim walking around after the supposed murder. Then, imagine you found yourself the target of the murder investigation by a team that included people who had declared you to be their sworn enemy and expressed strong desires to take you out. Then, imagine this team that included biased investigators began leaking false information to the national media to implicate you in this crime that you knew you didn’t commit.
Imagine that this cloud of the murder you knew was never committed hangs over you, month after month, until it drags on for years. It’s distracting you from your ability and authority to do the job in the public’s interests. But every time you speak publicly to defend yourself and proclaim your innocence, the media and your political enemies declare you to be a liar and say you are obstructing the investigation.
It begins to look like the fix is in.
Under these circumstances, you wouldn’t be human if you didn’t possess a desire to stop a potentially conflicted investigation by your political enemies into a crime that was never committed — least of all by you. Since you are innocent, your attempts to stop an unfair investigation could be fairly seen as an attempt to see justice done, not to obstruct it.
She went on to add, “If special counsel Robert Mueller is correct and there was no coordination of any kind between any American and Russia, then the latter analogy seems more applicable to President Trump than the former.”
“If Mueller is right, then Trump knew from the start that he didn’t conspire with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” she added. “Nonetheless, he became the target of a supposedly independent investigation which, it turned out, included top team members who expressed personal disgust and hatred for him as well as a desire to take him out.”
Attkisson pointed out that every time President Trump decided to defend himself, it seems that the Mueller Report has sided with that defense despite the wranglings of his opposition.
She then made a clear point about any attempts Trump may have thought about in replacing Mueller in the investigation.
This cloud of supposed collusion, a crime that never happened, hung over Trump month after month until it dragged on for years. For someone who’s innocent, it would obviously begin to look like the fix was in.
Trump’s alleged conversations about trying to switch out Mueller, as documented in interviews with the special counsel, could fairly be interpreted as attempts to seek justice, not to obstruct it.
Attkisson even admits that she and others thought the outcome of the Mueller report could have produced evidence that Trump was Putin’s agent, based on leaks and reporting, but she concluded, “it wasn’t the case.”
She then said that all those who publicly opposed him for two years might “carry more weight” if only they would admit to the fact that they “chased their tails” for those years and that “when they finally snagged it, realized they hadn’t captured the enemy.”
Following that admission, Attkisson adds that those people would at least regain some bit of credibility in acknowledging they were wrong to then possibly target actual Trump policies that they oppose or find objectionable.
Instead of Trump being a liar on this point, his critics were found to be just that. Even Robert Mueller has admitted that Trump was exactly right when he said that his campaign had not colluded with Russia.
Attkisson then concluded, “I’m no political expert but, to me as an Average Joe, the continued focus on supposed obstruction of a crime that wasn’t committed simply smacks of desperation.”
I think that’s exactly how most Americans who actually have listened to a sliver of what has taken place over the past two years think.
Despite my disagreements with President Trump over what I see are serious constitutional issues, which I’ve made no bones about, it has always seemed clear to me that when it came to “Russian collusion,” there was nothing there, except the wasting of the American people’s time and money and a lawless push for impeachment.
Missouri could soon be the first state without a single place providing legal abortions. Planned Parenthood officials said Tuesday that the state is on the verge of pulling the license from its St. Louis location, which is the last one still providing abortion services following the passage of a series of restrictive laws.
But in a conference call Tuesday, Leana Wen, the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said that clinic will likely end those services Friday because of a “weaponization of the licensing process.”
“This is not a drill. This is not a warning. This is a real public health crisis,” said Wen, a physician from Baltimore. “This week, Missouri would be the first state in the country to go dark — without a health center that provides safe, legal abortion care.”
Wen said Planned Parenthood will sue in an effort to continue providing abortions past this week. Wen said the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services plans to pull the St. Louis clinic’s license because of a refusal to submit employees to “interrogation” by regulators.
“The state is insisting that seven doctors, including residents and fellows who are obtaining medical training, be subject to interrogation that could result in them losing their medical license or even be subject to criminal prosecution,” Wen said.
Colleen McNicholas, a physician at the St. Louis clinic, said the state is attempting to strictly enforce a law requiring women seeking abortions to get a pelvic exam that she said is “invasive” and “medically unnecessary.”
A spokeswoman for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, which regulates abortion licenses, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Planned Parenthood used to offer abortion services in Kansas City and Columbia, in addition to St. Louis.
But those clinics had to stop offering them due to a law requiring that doctors who perform the procedure have admitting privileges at a local hospital. The Columbia clinic was also damaged earlier this year by an arson fire that the FBI is investigating as a possible hate crime.
The path forward for the clinics is further complicated by a bill just signed into law by Gov. Mike Parson that prohibits all abortions past eight weeks of pregnancy. That law, which takes effect in August, would practically rule out all abortions except those done by taking pills that can be received through the mail and don’t require a brick-and-mortar clinic.
“By signing this bill today, we are sending a strong signal to the nation that, in Missouri, we stand for life, protect women’s health, and advocate for the unborn,” Parson said in a statement. “All life has value and is worth protecting.”
That law is expected to be challenged in court.
The ACLU also filed a petition drive Tuesday to get it reversed through voter referendum.
“This week, Missouri may become the first state without a health center that provides abortion, even without the courts having to say they are overturning Roe v. Wade,” said Jennifer Dalven, the director of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project. “This is a direct result of a years-long effort by anti-abortion politicians to pass medically unnecessary restrictions that burden providers with the goal of forcing them to shut down. This has been their end game for years, but it’s contrary to what the overwhelming majority of people in this country want.”
According to a Gallup poll, about 80% of Americans believe abortion should be legal in some or all circumstances.
Legal abortions are available just across the state line from Missouri at a Planned Parenthood in Overland Park and the Hope Clinic for Women in Illinois.
According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, about half of the 7,048 legal abortions performed in the state in 2018 were done on women who came in from other states. The vast majority of those out-of-state women — 3,279 out of 3,498 — were from Missouri.
Kansas City Star health reporter Andy Marso was part of a Pulitzer Prize-finalist team at The Star and previously won state and regional awards at the Topeka Capital-Journal and Kansas Health Institute News Service. He has written two books, including one about his near-fatal bout with meningitis.
Christopher Steele, author of the dossier that played a key role in the Trump-Russia inquiry, will not assist Attorney General William Barr’s investigation of the investigators, according to a new report.
A source close to Orbis Business Intelligence, which is Steele’s investigative firm, told Reuters that the British ex-spy “would not cooperate”with nor answer questions from U.S. Attorney John Durham, whom Barr has tasked with reviewing the origins of the counterintelligence investigation into President Trump’s presidential campaign and the way that the Justice Department and FBI conducted the inquiry.
This revelation comes days after Trump’s order stating Barr was given “full and complete authority to declassify information” and ordering the intelligence community “to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation into surveillance activities during the 2016 presidential election.” Barr said he picked Durham because he “was looking for someone who is tenacious, who is used to looking at sensitive material involving government activities, who has a reputation for being fair and evenhanded.”
Neither the Justice Department nor Steele’s business immediately responded to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment. Durham’s office said they had no comment at this time.
The report said Steele “might cooperate” with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s independent investigation, signaling a shift in Steele’s thinking. In April, Politico reported that Steele “declined to be interviewed by the inspector general, citing, among other things, the potential impropriety of his involvement in an internal Justice Department investigation as a foreign national and former British intelligence agent.”That report said Steele might even “rebut the Inspector General’s characterizations” with a public statement.
Horowitz has been looking into potential Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuse since early 2018 and is “homing in” on the potential misuse of Steele’s unverified dossier by the DOJ and FBI. Barr has said Horowitz’s probe should be done by May or June.
Steele did cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and submitted written testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
According to a New York Times report from April, the FBI reached out to some of Steele’s foreign sources in an attempt to determine their credibility, and as early as January 2017 agents had concluded that some of the dossier’s contents may have been based on “rumors and hearsay” which were “passed from source to source.” The agents believed that some of Steele’s information may have even been based on “Russian disinformation.”
Steele’s dossier, which was packed with unverified claims about Trump’s ties to Russia, formed a key part of the FISA applications that were used to justify surveillance warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Steele was working for Fusion GPS, which received funding through the Perkins Coie law firm from the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.Steele’s Democratic benefactors were not revealed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
Barr said this month that “it’s a very unusual situation to have opposition research like that — especially one that on its face had a number of clear mistakes and a somewhat jejune analysis.”Barr’s pointed critiques of the Steele dossier’s flaws comes after former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI General Counsel James Baker defended their handling of the dossier in recent weeks.
Trump nailed Biden over his major role in the 1994 crime bill. A bill responsible for locking up many minorities unnecessarily, considered by many, a very dark period in our recent history.

Trump would like to work with Pelosi and the Democrats on out badly needed infrastructure, but they would rather resist and play politics than do the peoples business.
Who is most likely to win the Democrat nomination?
A.F. A classified Senate briefing on Iranian plots against the United States turned into a tense clash between top U.S. officials and lawmakers frustrated with President Trump’s strategy toward Tehran.
“I would say there was a lot of heat in that room,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, told the Washington Examiner following the Tuesday afternoon briefing.
Key congressional Democrats suggested that President Trump’s administration was preparing for military conflict with the regime based on faulty intelligence or even false pretenses after ambiguous U.S. warnings that Iranian proxies might attack American personnel in Iraq. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan sought to allay that suspicion in separate meetings, first with House lawmakers and then the Senate Tuesday afternoon.
“Today I walked them through what the Department of Defense has been doing since May 3, when we received credible intelligence about threats to our interests in the Middle East and to American forces, and how we acted on that credible intelligence,” Shanahan told reporters after the Senate briefing. “That intelligence has borne out in attacks, and I would say it’s also deterred attacks. We have deterred attacks based on our re-posturing of assets, deterred attacks against American forces.”
The controversy shifted in the briefing to complaints that they didn’t communicate with Congress enough in recent weeks and a broader protest against the administration’s withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, a top contender for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, was among the most aggressive in raising the specter of being misled into a conflict with Iran.
“Most Americans know way back when we were lied to about the situation in Vietnam and we went into a war which ended up costing us 59,000 lives, based on a lie,” he said. “In 2003, we were lied to in terms of Iraq supposedly having weapons of mass destruction.”
Sanders refused to answer whether he believes such lies are being told now. “I won’t talk about what we heard in the meeting,”he said. “But let me just say that I worry very much that, intentionally or unintentionally, we create a situation in which a war will take place.”
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer avoided that controversy entirely, focusing only on the frustration that the administration didn’t provide more information to lawmakers over the last three weeks.
“I told the people who were briefing us that I thought the consultation with the American people and the Congress was inadequate,”the New York Democrat told reporters in a brief appearance, without taking additional questions. “Both the American people and the Congress read about a lot of actions in the newspapers and had no idea what was going on. I told them they had to make it better next time.”
Shanahan acknowledged that desire for more information. “We heard feedback that they’d like more conversation,”he said. “They’d also like us to be more communicative with the American public, and we agreed to do more of that.”
Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin, a senior Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, conceded that the meeting was a “very helpful”survey of the intelligence reports and U.S. responses. Another lawmaker confirmed that the meeting was testy, but in this telling the confrontation was bipartisan and focused more on the administration’s policies than suspicions that they are fabricating intelligence.
“A number of them questioned the conclusions of the administration about the reaction of the Iranians and what it might lead to,”a Democratic senator, speaking on condition of anonymity, said after the briefing. “I think there’s a lot of us with real misgivings about how serious this is and how much is a creation of the administration’s own provocative policy.”
Shanahan stressed that the administration, which has deployed an aircraft carrier strike group to the Persian Gulf and threatened devastating consequences for attacks on Americans, is trying to avoid a conflict.
“Our biggest focus at this point is to prevent Iranian miscalculation,”he told reporters. “We do not want the situation to escalate.”
Cruz kept the focus on Democratic hostility to Trump and their fidelity to the nuclear agreement that former President Barack Obama’s team negotiated with Iran.
“Far too many congressional Democrats are invested in appeasement for Iran, which manifests in effectively defending the mullahs against maximum pressure,” he told the Washington Examiner.

The authors of a new report about marriage, faith, and families found the happiest wives in America are those who are religious conservatives.
“Fully 73 percent of wives who hold conservative gender values and attend religious services regularly with their husbands have high-quality marriages,”wrote researchers W. Bradford Wilcox, Jason S. Carroll and Laurie DeRose at the New York Times.
It turns out that the happiest of all wives in America are religious conservatives, followed by their progressive counterparts https://t.co/jaxXzMkEf7
— New York Times Opinion (@nytopinion) May 20, 2019
Their report, titled, “The Ties That Bind: Is Faith a Global Force for Good or Ill in the Family?”was published by the Institute for Family Studies and the Wheatley Institution.
“When it comes to relationship quality, there is a J-curve in women’s marital happiness, with women on the left and the right enjoying higher quality marriages than those in the middle — but especially wives on the right,”the authors explained.
They continued that American wives who are in the middle, both religiously and ideologically, as well as secular conservative wives, are less likely to experience high-quality marriages:
We suspect that part of their relative unhappiness, compared with religiously conservative women, is that they don’t enjoy the social, emotional and practical support for family life provided by a church, mosque or synagogue. We also suspect that these groups are less likely to have husbands who have made the transition to the “new father” ideal that’s gained currency in modern America — and they’re not happy with their partner’s disengagement.
Following behind religious conservative wives, 60 percent of highly religious progressive wives said they were“very happy.”
Among secular liberal couples, 55 percent of married women reported above-average relationship quality, while 33 percent of women in traditional secular marriages reported the same.
According to the researchers, devoted husbands and fathers are at the center of American wives’ view of happiness:
[I]n listening to the happiest secular progressive wives and their religiously conservative counterparts, we noticed something they share in common: devoted family men. Both feminism and faith give family men a clear code: They are supposed to play a big role in their kids’ lives. Devoted dads are de rigueur in these two communities. And it shows: Both culturally progressive and religiously conservative fathers report high levels of paternal engagement.
The researchers’ presentation of their report in the NYT editorial created a stir on social media with a fair amount of bitterness:
Can confirm what all the other Evangelicals are saying. Self-reporting on this is not a reflection of reality. Conservative women are taught that being anything other than happy is a spiritual and moral failure.

Don’t let the bill’s name fool you: Sometimes pretty packaging can conceal a lurking horror.
Is equality a good thing? That depends — that word now has so much baggage, it can mean many different things to different people.
If by equality, you mean ‘treat all people with a certain level of decency, no matter who they are’ then yes, equality is not only a good thing, but a profoundly American ideal. But when your brand of ‘equality’pits one set of people against another set of people and (worse still) silences dissent, that’s a whole other ballgame.
George Orwell gave Animal Farm as a warning, not an example to be followed:
Not learning from the past, this is the situation we have with the Democrats (who have shown themselves increasingly hostile to Christians and the historic Christian faith itself) and their new ‘Equality Act’.
Heather Clark enumerated some potential points of conflict inherent in the proposed legislation:
Under the guise of equality, a bill passed the United States House on Friday that would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to federal civil rights law, and would preclude entities — including Christian organizations and others who do not want to participate in affirming sinful behavior — from living out their convictions in society without the heavy hand of government coming down upon them.
H.R. 5, also known as the “Equality Act,” passed mostly along party lines with a vote of 236 -173, and with no Democrats voting against it. Eight Republicans voted in favor of the measure, with three being from New York: Reps. Susan Brooks of Indiana, Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Will Hurd of Texas, Greg Walden of Oregon, and John Katko, Tom Reed and Elise Stefanik, all of New York.
The bill would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act — which currently prohibits discrimination on the basis of “race, color, religion, sex, or national origin” — to add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list. The two terms would be included as pertaining to matters of “sex” discrimination.
Source: ChristinanNews
She continues:
…Most commonly, the bill prohibits discrimination in employment and housing, meaning that faith-based employers, Christian schools and churches cannot fire an individual for engaging in same-sex behavior, nor can landlords with convictions about marriage decline to rent to two men or women. Women’s shelters would also not be permitted to turn away men who identify as women.
…Several lawsuits have been filed in recent years against faith-based hospitals that have declined to allow the performance of sex-change related operations on the premises — mainly women who sought the removal of their uterus so that they would feel more masculine physically. …
…The bill has therefore generated objection from Christians and lawmakers alike.
“H.R. 5 is bad for freedom,” Rep. Ross Spano, R-Fla., told the Washington Times. “It would immediately expose churches to ‘legal liability’ for simply following their earnest beliefs.”
“[T]he so-called ‘Equality Act’ that the House has passed … undermines women’s equality by denying female athletes fair competition in sports, depriving women of business opportunities designed for them, and forcing them to share private, intimate spaces with men who identify as female,” also remarked Kristen Waggoner, senior vice president of the U.S. legal division of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
Source: ChristinanNews
This kind of ‘equality’ suffers from the same fatal flaw as the Left’s other ideas of being progressive. They see inequalities as something that needs manual rebalancing — not realizing that every aspect of the world around us is perpetually in a state of imbalance under correction.
Weather. The food chain. Even our own bodies.
They’re all in a constant state of flux. The (supposed) Progressives believe themselves capable of manually correcting that imbalance, without giving thought to what new imbalances would be caused by their interference.
They see these things as a zero-sum game, not a dynamic interaction of various forces.
They see two classes: oppressed and oppressor. They seek to shorten the leash on the ‘oppressor’.
In this case, it will come into direct conflict with Constitutional freedoms of Religion. This, to an aggressively secular group, is a price they are more than willing to pay — consequences to our freedoms be damned.
Many prominent Christian leaders sent an open letter to Congressional Leaders and Vice President Mike Pence stating their concerns that the Equality Act would decimate religious freedoms.
Well, here we go with more political soap opera, and soap opera it is. Following a report that the finger pointing of the former CIA-Islamic stooge John Brennan claiming it was former FBI Director James Comey that pushed the now debunked Steele dossier, the pages have turned and it’s Brennan who is under the gun as there are alleged email implicating Brennan as the one who pushed the fake dossier in the intelligence community (IC) report regarding the dossier.
First, here’s Fox News’ Catherine Herridge pointing to the first round of Comey/Brennan WWE.
According to the video description, “A former CIA official puts the blame on former FBI Director Comey after an email chain implicates former CIA Director Brennan.”
Yet, on Wednesday, Herridge claims that there is an email from fired FBI Director James Comey from December 2016 that indicates it was John Brennan who pushed the dossier to be included in the IC report. Yet, an unnamed source inside the CIA claims it was Comey that included the dossier.
Yet, former South Carolina Congressmen Trey Gowdy spoke out on the issue in an interview with Marth MacCallum on Tuesday about what was going on.
MARHTA MACCALLUM, FOX NEWS: We begin tonight with Trey Gowdy. Former House Oversight Committee chairman, and now, a Fox News contributor. Trey, always good to see you. Thank you for being here tonight.
MACCALLUM: You know, I want to get actually first to the sound bite that we just played. You say that whoever is looking into this. In this case, it’s Mr. Durham, and I want to get your thoughts on that in a minute. But you say they should definitely look at the Brennan-Comey FBI e-mails in summer of 2016?
GOWDY: December of 2016.
MACCALLUM: December of 2016, thank you.
GOWDY: You know, over the weekend, Senator Graham is really, really exercised over the lack of corroboration of this dossier that was used in court filings. So, the question then becomes, was it unverified, uncorroborated when you used it? And then, when did you began to corroborate it?
And what I’m telling Mr. Durham, or whoever is going to look into this, I think you’ll see late in 2016. Well, after it had been used, it was still unverified. And the people responsible for we’re referring to it as unverified. And one of the other demanded that it be included in the intelligence assessment which then leaked, which then prompted the discussion you and I are having now publicly.
MACCALLUM: Yes, there is a statement that just came out this evening, that Catherine Herridge has been reporting, and I think we have that. We can put on the screen, but the gist of it is that, that Brennan — John Brennan is pushing back on all of this today.
So clearly, he knows that there is now another investigation into it. He heard, of course, Attorney General Barr, say that “I’m not just interested in the FBI, I’m also interested in the other agencies which, of course, would point sensibly at John Brennan who was the head of the CIA at the time.
So, the statement tonight, or the finding in the reporting of Catherine Herridge tonight says, that John Brennan says that he and James Clapper did not want to include the dossier. That it was James Comey, who insisted on including the dossier, as they were doing the investigation and also in the intelligence report that was presented to President Trump. What do you think about that, Tray?
GOWDY: I think that it’s one more place for Mr. Durham to start. That’s a pretty easy thing to sort out who insisted that the dossier or the unverified material from Chris Steele be included.
But Martha, sometimes, when you have two people and tell you having been in a courtroom, sometimes when two people are blaming each other, they’re both right — it’s both of them. And I think it’s interesting Brennan and Comey right now, the only thing they seemed this year is a hatred for Donald Trump. It’s going to be interesting if they begin to turn on one another.
I’ve seen the document, I’m not going to describe it any more than that. Comey has got a better argument than Brennan, based on what I’ve seen.
MACCALLUM: Well, that’s interesting. Comey-Brennan was talking about this, this afternoon on another cable channel. And he — you know, he’s very defensive, obviously, about the need for any further investigation here. And here is what he said about what they were — what they were doing, what they were looking into.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
JOHN BRENNAN, FORMER DIRECTOR, CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY: I think they’re just trying to — you know, demonstrate that there was — you know, problems with what the Obama administration did as far as, as it pursued this investigation.
But as you point out, it went through a rigorous due process within the Department of Justice, the FBI. It was approved by the FISA Court. It went through all of those steps.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
MACCALLUM: You know, the other thing that they made — that they were emphatic about in that interview was that the FISA Court has an extremely high bar. They said there’s no way that they would have approved to any wiretap, any — you know, surveillance of Carter Page if they didn’t have that whole thing down cold.
They say they don’t just to prove these things willy-nilly. We’ve heard differently that they — that the bar is actually quite low for approving them. What do you say?
GOWDY: Well, the judges are not investigators, they’re only as good as the information presented to them, which is why you make the applicant swear out. You swear out an application. And when the FBI is telling you that this information has been verified, and when they’re telling you it’s been investigated, and it’s been corroborated.
The judge has to rely on that. They don’t get to go conduct their own separate investigations, which is why it’s really important to ask the FBI agents and Comey, if you verify this information before it’s used, which we know you did not. But if your position is you did, tell us how.
I’m seeing the spreadsheet, Martha. I have seen each factual assertion listed in that dossier, and then I’ve seen the FBI’s justification. And when you’re citing newspaper articles as corroboration for a factual assertion that you have made, you don’t need an FBI agent, you go do a Google search. And when the name Sidney Blumenthal is included as part of your corroboration, and you’re the world’s leading law enforcement agency, you have a problem.
And you can blame it on the FISA Court if you want to, but I hope Brennan is smart enough to know judges don’t investigate, they have to rely on the honest word of the people presenting it to them. And if that honest word is missing, then the judge is going to make the wrong decision.
MACCALLUM: All right, there’s another report tonight coming in from The New York Times, which suggests, you know, citing sources that are close to Mr. Durham or the Department of Justice or both. That this is just a review that he’s just going to look over the Mueller report, and he’s going to figure out whether or not there needs to be an investigation.
Now, my understanding, and I want to hear what you think about this, is that the reason that they — that the DOJ wanted to have a U.S. attorney look into this is because they actually have a prosecutorial power. They might be able to actually get to the bottom of this if there is indeed some sort of criminal behavior, and, you know, that’s way off at this point.
The other difference is that unlike in an Inspector General at an agency, they can look at people who used to work there. Not just people who work there. Is that accurate?
GOWDY: Yes ma’am, you put your finger. I’m a big Michael Horowitz fan, but you put your finger on the reason that many of us called for a second special counsel. A year ago, Horowitz doesn’t have access to the grand jury. He doesn’t have access to former employees. He’s a wonderful investigator, but he’s only as good as the tools he’s given.
Durham has access to a grand jury, and he has access to search warrants, and he has access to subpoenas, and he’s got access to any witness he wants to talk to. So, that’s your A-number one investigation.
MACCALLUM: Yes.
GOWDY: But, you know, Horowitz is the one who found the Strzok-Page text, and Horowitz is the one who dinged Jim Comey for that press conference.
MACCALLUM: That’s right.
GOWDY: So, the more the merrier. I just — it’s been two years now. And I think the country would like to know from someone they can trust what was the factual predicate, not for the Russia investigation, but for the inter melding of the Russia investigation with the Trump campaign. Give us the factual predicate, and we’ll decide whether or not it was sufficient or not.
MACCALLUM: Trey, thank you very much. Trey Gowdy, good to see you tonight, sir.
GOWDY: Yes, ma’am. You, too.
Frankly, after all the years in office and a failure to bring any resolve, I don’t care much for Gowdy, but he makes some good points. I think it’s clear though that all these people were involved in what went on and to get a rise out of the American people through a WWE Royal Rumble, we are against seeing how they play the “Bread and Circus” show for the political junkies who want their daily fix on this stuff while never quite seeing what they desire,… justice.
Paul Sperry reported Wednesday for RealClearInvestigations that Durham’s investigation is an inter-agency effort, working closely with CIA Director Gina Haspel, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and FBI Director Christopher Wray regarding spying on the Trump campaign.
Sperry reported in December Brennan may have perjured himself when he testified to
Congress in May 2017 that the dossier was not included in the Intelligence Community Assessment.
“John Brennan did more than anyone to promulgate the dirty dossier,” an investigator told Sperry. “He politicized and effectively weaponized what was false intelligence against Trump.”
Baker said senior FBI officials were concerned that Comey would appear to be blackmailing Trump when he briefed the then-president-elect on the salacious claim in the dossier that he had consorted with prostitutes in Moscow.
“We were quite worried about the Hoover analogies,” Baker said, referring to FBI Director James Edgar Hoover, “and we were determined not to have such a disaster happen on our watch.”
Baker told the Yahoo News podcast Skullduggery that he and Comey determined the bureau had an obligation to tell Trump of the uncorroborated allegations because “the press has it; it’s about to come out.”
It goes further.
Judicial Watch released Justice Department emails showing former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr and State Department official Kathleen Kavalec used Steele dossier material to target Trump after he won the 2016 election.
Judicial Watch today released four pages of documents from the U.S. Department of Justice showing a conversation between former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Kathleen Kavalec and former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, discussing the targeting of Donald Trump with Steele dossier material.
In discussing a meeting with the potential source for a Mother Jones article accusing the Trump campaign of taking money from a Russian-American oil magnate, as well as Christopher Steele’s connection to that source, Kavalec emails Ohr citing the accusatory Mother Jones article. Ohr says, “I really hope we can get something going here.”

In a November 21, 2016, email exchange Kavalec thanks Bruce Ohr for “coming by”to discuss the work of the OCDETF (Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force). Kavalec provides Ohr with links to Mother Jones and Open Secrets articles that suggest a Russian-American oil magnate gave money to Trump’s campaign. Ohr responds, “I really hope we can get something going here.… We will take another look at this.”
Kavalec then replies to Ohr, saying that she had just reviewed the notes from her October 2016 meeting with Steele stating, “I see Chris [Steele] said [Simon] Kukes has [sic] some connection to Serge Millian.” Millian is an Belarus-born businessman who was an alleged source for the anti-Trump dossier. He developed a relationship with Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos in 2016.
Kavalec recently came to national attention when her notes from her October 11, 2016, meeting with Dossier author Steele were revealed. In her notes, Kavalec said Steele told her of “a technical/human operation run out of Moscow targeting the election.” In Kavalec’s notes, she disputes some of the details asserted by Steele—indicating these were both researched, and disproven. Kavalec reported her findings directly to the FBI.
“These documents are a shocking example of the Deep State plotting against President Trump – just weeks after he was elected,”said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “There’s now no doubt that Bruce Ohr and the Obama State Department were working the Clinton gang to target President Trump.”
Well, yes, and while I am adamantly behind the fact that these were abusing power and violating law to spy on a presidential campaign, why are we not hearing the same kind of rhetoric and “up in arms”complaints over the federal government’s own unlawful spying on the American people of which we were warned by Edward Snowden and Wikileaks, which just so happens to be in the crosshairs of the current administration?
Smoke, mirrors, deflection and diversion.
That’s why.
Trust me, none of the people mentioned here will be doing a perp walk.
This is all to get the voter base riled up to vote in 2020, and it seems to be working because the American people have not yet figured out how they are being played.
Still, we know who deserves justice. The problem is in having someone with the resolve to stop talking, texting and tweeting about it and bring the resolve to actually dispense with justice.
Social Media Banning Conservative – There’s an all-out assault on conservative free speech by social media giants Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google in America.
Because AG Barr is known for his integrity and is now set to investigate those on the left for spying on a political opponent, Nadler, and the Democrats seek to tarnish his reputation.
Because Barr won’t release the unredacted Mueller report, that would be illegal to release, Nadler is charging him with contempt for upholding the rule of law.
Brennan, Clapper, and Comey are beginning to pointing fingers at each other now that AG Barr has appointed US Attorney John Durham to investigate Spying on the Trump campaign.
A.F. Branco has taken his two greatest passions, (art and politics) and translated them into the cartoons that have been popular all over the country, in various news outlets including “Fox News”, MSNBC, CBS, ABC and “The Washington Post.” He has been recognized by such personalities as Dinesh D’Souza, James Woods, Sarah Palin, Larry Elder, Lars Larson, the great El Rushbo, and has recently had his toons tweeted by President Trump.
It’s no secret that liberals across the country have tried desperately to stop Donald Trump since he became a candidate, but their efforts to undermine him may now be coming back at themselves like a boomerang.
A scandal which began before the 2016 election was even held has just exploded, at least if a bombshell report from the watchdog group Judicial Watch is accurate. The organization has been diligently unraveling the facts around Fusion GPS, and what they recently found is jaw-dropping.
Fusion GPS, of course, is the “opposition research” firm which was contracted by the DNC to dig up dirt on Trump in the run-up to the election. The company is linked to the infamous dossier containing scandalous — and thoroughly debunked — claims about the president, but the controversy is much wider than just those papers.
It now appears that someone working for Fusion GPS was purposely and frequently collaborating with a deputy attorney general within the Obama administration, sending anti-Trump material in a way that was certainly unethical if not completely illegal.
The Obama-era official is Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, and the anti-Trump figure working for Fusion GPS was his wife.
“[A] series of ‘Hi Honey’ emails from Nellie Ohr to her high-ranking federal prosecutor husband and his colleagues raise the prospect that Hillary Clinton-funded opposition research was being funneled into the Justice Department during the 2016 election through a back-door marital channel,”explained veteran investigative journalist John Solomon for The Hill.
“Ohr has admitted to Congress that, during the 2016 presidential election, she worked for Fusion GPS — the firm hired by Democratic nominee Clinton and the Democratic National Committee to perform political opposition research,” the journalist said.
That kind of research is often used by political campaigns against their opponents, and is not by itself off limits. But Judicial Watch uncovered 339 emails which reveal that Nellie Ohr likely crossed the line by using her marriage as a political tool, and sending pages of anti-Trump research directly to official Department of Justice email accounts.
“They clearly show that Ohr sent reams of open-source intelligence to her husband, Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, and on some occasions to at least three DOJ prosecutors: Lisa Holtyn, Ivana Nizich and Joseph Wheatley,”Solomon said.
“Such overt political content flowing into the email accounts of a DOJ charged with the nonpartisan mission of prosecuting crimes is jarring enough. It raises additional questions about potential conflicts of interest when it is being injected by a spouse working as a Democratic contractor trying to defeat Trump,”he continued.
But the scandal is deeper than just emails. Nellie and Bruce Ohr apparently had key roles in pushing the debunked Trump dossier and the false narrative that the future president was colluding with Russia.
“For instance, just 24 days after the anti-Trump screed was emailed, both Ohrs met in Washington with British intelligence operative Christopher Steele,” Solomon said. “She said she learned that Steele had concerns that he hoped the DOJ or FBI would investigate, with help from her husband.”
And that appears to be exactly what happened.
“The next day, Bruce Ohr used his official DOJ position to go to then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe with Steele’s allegations (later to become known as the Steele dossier), and the bureau opened its first investigation into Russia collusion,” he said.
There are obvious parallels to Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI officials who were also having an affair all while texting back and forth about how Trump should be stopped. More and more, it looks like partisan politics and anti-Trump collaboration was widespread within agencies which are supposed to be unbiased.
That is the real scandal here: Not that liberals tried to uncover dirt on a candidate, but that official government personnel within our own government eagerly participated in the partisan witch hunt.
It looks like there was collusion, but not by Trump.
Instead, the real collusion took place between Obama-era government officials and activists who saw nothing as off limits in order to install Hillary Clinton as president — and that should alarm every American, no matter their party.

With Trump’s big economic success among all the other promises made and kept, about all Biden has to offer is bringing us back to more failed Obama style policies.
Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson says President Trump’s rhetoric is hateful, causing violence, resulting in an increase in hate crimes.
Eugene wrote a brilliant column right after 9/11, but haven’t seen the like since.
This President is a fighter. He is tough. Playing to win is in his DNA. He took on this responsibility and he is serious about restoring the country to greatness, saving it from the malaise of the Obama years. In order to take on and prevail against the vast forces marshaled against him (Democrats, Leftists, Communists, Jihadists, assorted anti-Americans, and the MSM) he has to confront every lie and every attack, head on.
He believes, as do about half the voters, that this country will go under unless we fight hard to restore some measure of traditional values and founding principles of the Republic.
I for one am glad we have a fighter in the White House. I’m glad he is keeping our enemies off balance, redoing trade deals, aggressively fighting the war on terror, doing all he can to secure the border, stoking the economy, and putting an end to various collectivist schemes as well as the tiresome and counterproductive apology tours.
People who criticize him for being aggressive are just looking for a way to undermine him and that is because he is so successful it irks them no end.
Eugene and others never said boo when Obama was talking about bringing a gun to knife fight and other such nonsense. Nobody objected when he urged people to get up in our faces. Did you ever hear a Democrat complain when Obama encouraged street demonstrations based on lies, goading BLM and ignoring the resulting violence? But now, some flimsy allegation about hate crime increases is sufficient to attack this President as an instigator. BS.
The vicious Left never relents and now an aggressive conservative is beating them at their own game without being vicious and all they can do is double down on viciousness. Not smart. Not effective. Not acceptable.
This dad is fighting for his son, but this battle is much bigger than that, and the stakes are incredibly high. This is a legal battle that we all want to need to pay attention to.
Jeffrey Younger’s life has been turned upside down with his divorce and custody battle. He has 6-year old twin boys, but his ex-wife has been dressing one of them, James, as a girl since he was age 2.
Younger’s ex-wife is a pediatrician and insists that James is transgender. She has taken him to a gender clinic in Texas where they have implemented the Dutch Protocol, a system that promotes “gender affirming care.”This means social transition — dressing and acknowledging the child as the preferred gender and later medical transition which, in this case, would mean chemical castration for James. His mother has enrolled him in school as a girl named Luna, and all of the adult authority figures in his life refer to him as a girl. Yet, she has not done that with her other son, Jude.
Younger says that James’s twin brother, Jude, is confused and upset that he has to lie about the real identity of his brother.
Jeffrey Younger’s free speech rights are being violated in an absolutely horrific way by the courts — he cannot refer to James as his son, nor can he use male pronouns to address him. He is also barred from referring to his son as his son in front of anyone who may know James as Luna. His wife is now attempting to including the town limits that she presently resides as part of this injunction. Younger is not just barred from telling James that he is a boy, he is also not permitted to take his son to Sunday School because of the traditional teaching on sex and gender.
It’s an egregious breach of the fundamental rights of a parent.
Younger is being compelled by the court to pay for the medical “care” of his son, which would include puberty blockers as early as age 8, (as they are now are doing for girls who identify as transgender,) and eventually gender reassignment surgery. This would render James sterile by removing his sex organs.
Younger’s legal fight, as well as the ongoing battle for his son’s identity, is chronicled in a dossier that he has compiled on the website SaveJames.com.
Jeff Younger continues to fight for James because he doesn’t believe that his son’s life should be permanently altered on a single diagnosis of gender dysphoria. Especially since when James is with his father, he refuses to wear girls clothes (which Younger must provide as an option,) and has never once told his father that he is a girl.
Walt Heyer, who was transgender for 8 years but has since de-transitioned and warns about the problems with current gender affirming care, met with the Jeff, James, and Jude during their two-hour visitation. Heyer shared his thoughts on The Federalist back in January.
Jeff and I drove across town to the mother’s home to pick up the boys. As we pulled up, the front door opened, and the two young boys came flying out. James was dressed as a boy, like his brother. Into the backseat they went, saying hi to their dad and to me before they started talking about Ninja Turtles and other things they had done at school. Not one smidgeon of gender dysphoria or “girl talk” appeared during the drive back to the Scott home.
The next two hours were supervised and playful bedlam. Jeff brought out a toy popular with this bunch of friends—plastic swords and shields. Immediately, all six children were joyfully absorbed in rough-and-tumble swordplay with their fathers and each other. A pleasant dinner followed, and then the children went off to other playtime activities.
I observed James’ mannerisms, voice inflections, and interactions, looking for evidence of gender dysphoria. I can emphatically say that during the two hours of the visit I saw no sign of gender dysphoria. James indicated no desire to be a girl, nor did he behave like a girl or talk like a girl during the entire time. Both James and his brother happily engaged with the four Scott children and the adults. Both were talkative, demonstrated strong vocabularies, and eagerly showed off their artwork created during a previous playdate.
I asked Jeff why James was dressed as a boy when he ran out of mom’s house. Jeff explained that James prefers to dress as a boy, even at his mother’s, except when he goes to school dressed as a girl…
…A misdiagnosis cannot be ruled out, and a prudent next step is a comprehensive psychological assessment to explore why he identifies as a girl with mom and as a boy with dad. Per the custody order, the only parent authorized to oversee James’ psychological counseling is his mother.
Heyer provides counseling and support for individuals that regret their sex change. He then suggests that a second opinion is necessary.
Early evidence shows a troubling effect: All of the children put on blockers continue towards sex changes. The blockers themselves seem to influence children to transition. In vivid contrast,60 to 90 percent of trans kids who are not reinforced in this desire or put on puberty blockers are no longer trans by adulthood. In other words, most trans children naturally grow out of it as they go through puberty, if they are not socially locked into an opposite-sex identity and puberty is not blocked.
Puberty blockers and the following step, cross-sex hormones, are known to cause serious side effects, including infertility. Children are not able to understand these consequences or give informed consent.
Watch Jeff state his case at the Texas Faith and Family Day in March:
Jeff Younger is fighting for his son and is determined to win. He doesn’t call this emotional abuse by his ex-wife, he calls it sexual abuse.
Younger knows that the courts are against him.
Every. Single. Day. You have to see your son sexually abused, and you have to maintain your calm. You have to be the one who’s calm — because the court’s are not going to be fair to you. And the only way you can survive this and get your son through this alive is to calmly allow your son to be tortured right before your eyes and outlast the opposition. That’s what it’s like. They’re asking me to affirm a delusion.

Turning Point USA Director of Hispanic Engagement Anna Paulina questioned Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) on Friday at the Houston International airport about the ramifications of an unsecured United States border. Harris, however, seemed more focused on taking selfies than answering the question.
Sen. Kamala Harris appeared attentive while speaking to Anna Paulina at the airport on Friday, until Paulina introduced herself as “the Hispanic engagement director with Turning Point USA,” at which point, the senator promptly turned to give her attention to somebody else standing nearby.
“I ran into Senator Kamala Harris,” said Paulina to Breitbart News, “As I approached her to talk to her about child sex trafficking at the border and how family reunification is being used by human traffickers and the Cartels to exploit and traffic children, she assumed I wanted a selfie.”
Watch:
“You are directly impacting the Hispanic demographic in a negative way,”said Paulina to the senator, “you are directly impacting what is happening with the children in this country and you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing as a representative.”
Sen. Harris, who shook her head after President Donald Trump called for putting illegal drug cartels and human traffickers out of business at his 2019 State of the Union, ignored Paulina to talk to someone vying for a selfie while someone who appeared to be the senator’s handler moved to stand in front of the TPUSA director.
“Shame on you. You’re not going to win,” said Paulina to Harris, who announced her 2020 candidacy for president in January.
Paulina told Breitbart News that Harris was willing to speak with her — likely assuming that Paulina was approaching her for a selfie — but when “I started questioning her about how open border policies are directly hurting Hispanic women and children, she refused to answer,”said Paulina.
“Her assistant told me she had to take selfies with others waiting,” added the TPUSA director, “I find it deeply concerning that a woman, who is running for President of the United States, was more concerned with taking selfies than addressing the trafficking of Hispanic women and children.”
“The loopholes in our immigration systems are exploited on a regular basis,” said Paulina to Breitbart News, “Organized crime is tracking what is happening at our border and with our immigration debate. Elected officials for open borders are lethally impacting people on both sides of the border.”
“It was evident while she was smiling and laughing, and ignoring my questions that she did not care,” said Paulina, “She was more concerned with selfies than children.”

“This isn’t a dog whistle. This is a dog.”
The left’s alarming and increasingly blatant Anti-Semitism has reached new lows. The New York Times International edition published an absolutely appalling cartoon depicting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is featured as a dachshund, leading a presumably “blind” President Trump. It is so horrifically offensive that the New York Times has since deleted the image online and issued an Editor’s Note explaining that publishing it was an “error in judgment”because the cartoon is “offensive”for containing “anti-Semitic tropes.” I’m not sure how effective such a note can possibly be since we have all just had (re)confirmed our worst fears about that publication.
The New York Times International Edition ran a cartoon of an apparently blind US President Donald Trump wearing a yarmulke being led by a dog with a Star of David for a collar and with a face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on April 25.
The cartoon was part of its Opinion section and appeared next to a column by Thomas Friedman about immigration.
The cartoon was condemned by numerous people over the weekend. It appeared on the April 25 edition but in Israel was available with the end of the Passover holiday, coinciding with the holiday and Shabbat, two days when many observant Jews were not active online.
The much deserved condemnation came from across the political and religious spectrum.
The New York Times issued the following tweet depicting the upcoming “Editor’s Note.”
Here is a screencap of the note itself via the above tweet.
It’s rather underwhelming and not going over well.
Seth Frantzman, writing at the Jerusalem Post, has a scathing response to the NYT’s Editor’s Note. He begins by explaining that like most of us, when he first saw the cartoon and that it was in the NYT, he didn’t think it was real.
At a time of rising antisemitism, when we have become increasingly exposed to the notion of dog whistles and tropes that are antisemitic, when there is a lively and active debate about this issue in the US, The New York Times International Edition did the equivalent of saying “hold my beer.”
. . . . I didn’t believe the cartoon was real when I first saw it. Many of my colleagues didn’t believe it either. I spent all day Saturday trying to track down a hard copy. I phoned friends, I got a PDF of the edition, and even then I didn’t believe it.
I had to see for myself. So I drove to a 24-hour supermarket. There on the newsstand was the April 25 edition. I flipped gingerly through, fearing to see Page 16.
And then I found it. It stared back at me: That horrid image of a blind US President Donald Trump with a yarmulke being led by a dog with the face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Worse, the dog was wearing a Star of David as a collar.
This is what The New York Times thinks of us Israelis. Even if they subsequently said it was an error, they thought it was okay to print a cartoon showing the US president being blindly led by the “Jewish dog”?
And not only that, those who watched as it went to print thought it was fine to put a Jewish skullcap on the US president. Dual loyalty? No need to even wrestle with that question.
It used to be that we were told that Trump was fostering “Trump antisemitism” and driving a new wave of antisemitism in the US. But the cartoon depicts him as a Jew. Well, which is it? Is he fostering antisemitism, or is he now a closet Jew being led by Israel, depicted as a Jewish dog? We used to say that images “conjured up memories” of 1930s antisemitism. This didn’t conjure it up; this showed us exactly what it looked like.
Frantzman then tackles the pathetic, reductive Editor’s Note.
. . . . The New York Times acknowledged this in a kind of pathetic way. They admitted that the cartoon “included anti-Semitic tropes.” It then noted, “The image was offensive and it was an error of judgement to publish it.”
That’s not enough. An error of judgment would imply that it was just a kind of mistake. “Tropes” would imply that to some people it is anti-Semitic, but that it’s not clear as day.
But this is clear as day.
This isn’t like some story of unclear antisemitism. This isn’t a dog whistle. This is a dog. This is anti-Semitic on numerous levels. It’s time to say no more. It’s time to say “They shall not pass.”
This should be a defining moment. It is a defining moment because one of America’s most prestigious newspapers did this, not some small town newspaper somewhere.
Over at the Spectator, Dominic Green provides his own scathing commentary before offering his take on what the NYT should say instead of resting on “tropes” and an “error of judgment.”
What the Times should have said was:
‘We ran a blatantly anti-Semitic cartoon. At a time when anti-Jewish violence and incitement is at levels not seen since 1945, we chose to place gutter racism on our pages. We did this because plenty of our editors share the prejudice of this cartoon; if in doubt, look at our unsigned editorials.
‘We’re so soaked in this that none of us thought that it might be an error to publish a cartoon with clear precursors in fascist, communist, Arab nationalist and Islamist propaganda. Rather than explain this away in the passive tense, we’re going to name the editors who signed off on this cartoon, and fire them.’
Of course, the Times will do none of this.
That sounds about right, but as Green notes, it will never happen. Because it’s all true
The Obama-Biden administration was plagued with scandals, and the biggest one may soon be revealed.
Joe Biden started his official 2020 presidential campaign launch with a bang this week by declaring two glaring whoppers in two days.
First was his announcement video which focused on the oft-debunked media-driven lie about President Trump’s response to the August 2017 Charlottesville riots. The second was his declaration that the Obama-Biden administration was scandal-free.
Biden made the absurd claim on a Friday segment of ABC‘s “The View” program. Newsbusters has the transcript of the former veep talking fondly about his former boss:
BIDEN: The thing I’m proudest of is we coincidentally were each in a different part of the country and we were each talking to groups of people that were being televised, the same day, purely coincidentally we were asked what are you proudest of from your administration? You know what I said –it turns out he said the same thing and probably a little more clearly than I did. Is that, not one single whisper of scandal.
BEHAR: Not one!
BIDEN: Not one single whisper! [applause] That’s Barack Obama! That’s because of Barack!
BEHAR: I know! He’s amazing!
Watch video of Biden’s remarks below:
This is a bogus assertion that has been made by more than just Joe Biden. A number of Democrats have made similar claims since Trump was elected president, including Barack Obama himself and former administration officials like adviser Valerie Jarrett. This lie is so huge that it’s on par with Obama’s 2013 “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it”lie of the year about Obamacare.
Since Biden has revived the so-called “scandal-free”claim, it has (again) been easily and definitively refuted by conservative new media outlets—but not, of course, by the mainstream media. A number of Twitter users also called him out on it. Here are two that received a lot of retweets:
The biggest one of all, as Bongino alluded to, is “Russiagate” and what the Obama administration knew and when they knew it. Republican Senators like Rand Paul (KY) and Lindsey Graham (SC) have demanded answers to those questions and have taken steps to get them:
Trump himself indicated on Thursday that we could be very close to finding out much-needed answers to some of those questions:
President Donald Trump used the word “blockbuster” to describe the Inspector General’s forthcoming report on the FBI’s use of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants to surveil Trump’s 2016 campaign amid concerns of Russian interference.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been investigating whether the FBI abused FISA procedures in its targeted Russian-related surveillance operations, including on at least one former member of Trump’s campaign, foreign policy adviser Carter Page.
The FBI applied under FISA to conduct surveillance on Page—who has denied any wrongdoing—because it believed he had conspired with the Russian government, according to its application in October 2016. It also filed sought renewal warrants after Trump took office.
Horowitz is expected to report his findings in either May or June. Trump and his allies accused former senior members of the FBI, including ex-director James Comey, of obtaining FISA warrants by deceiving the court about the intelligence on which its applications relied.
“I think he knows how big this is. And if he’s as honorable as he’s supposed to be, the IG report coming out in three or four weeks, from what I hear, is going to be, and should be, and almost has to be a blockbuster because he has access to information that most people don’t.”
Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), a member of the House Oversight Committee, suggested earlier this month that “it’s highly likely” more criminal referrals could be forthcoming:
“We’re fully anticipating that the [DOJ inspector general’s] report will come out as Attorney General Barr said in the next four to six weeks, and I think it’s highly likely that we’ll see criminal referrals coming from them that will correspond with what Chairman [Devin] Nunes has already put forth,” Meadows said.
Between the IG’s report, and Paul’s and Graham’s determined efforts to get to the bottom of Russiagate, I can hardly wait to find out what we learn next . . . and expect Biden and the media to try to toss it down the memory hole with the rest of the Obama-Biden admin scandals.

The top two Democratic leaders on Monday told President Trump that any bipartisan infrastructure package needs to take into consideration climate change and include “substantial, new and real revenue”— a preview of the coming fight over tax hikes.
Trump will host Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) at the White House on Tuesday for discussions on a major infrastructure bill, one of the few policy areas that could see action amid divided government and as the 2020 race heats up.
Democrats want the measure for roads, bridges, waterways and other projects to be paid for with tax increases, and with a final price tag of at least $1 trillion over 10 years. Trump’s fiscal 2020 budget calls for $200 billion in federal spending on infrastructure, which White House officials say will leverage an additional $800 billion in investment through public-private partnerships over the next decade.
“America’s unmet infrastructure needs are massive, and a bipartisan infrastructure package must meet those needs with substantial, new and real revenue,” Pelosi and Schumer wrote in a letter to Trump on Monday. “We look forward to hearing your ideas on how to pay for this package to ensure that it is big and bold enough to meet our country’s needs.”
The leaders laid out other Democratic priorities: Any deal must extend beyond traditional infrastructure projects, take into account climate change, include “Buy America” provisions and provide jobs for a broad swath of workers.
“A big and bold infrastructure package must be comprehensive and include clean energy and resiliency priorities,” Pelosi and Schumer wrote. “To truly be a gamechanger for the American people, we should go beyond transportation and into broadband, water, energy, schools, housing and other initiatives. We must also invest in resiliency and risk mitigation of our current infrastructure to deal with climate change.”
“A big and bold infrastructure plan must have strong Buy America, labor, and women, veteran and minority-owned business protections in any package,” they added. “This bill can and should be a major jobs and ownership boost for the American people – manufacturers, labor contractors, and women, veteran and minority-owned businesses.”
Pelosi told reporters earlier this month that an infrastructure package “has to be at least $1 trillion. I’d like it to be closer to $2 trillion.”
Trump last year reportedly told lawmakers and senior White House officials that he was in favor of a 25-cent gas tax hike to help pay for an infrastructure overhaul. The gas tax, which supports the Highway Trust Fund and pays for road projects, has not been raised in more than two decades. But on Monday, a source familiar with Schumer’s thinking said the senator would not entertain any gas-tax proposal unless Trump also rolled back some tax cuts from his 2017 landmark tax law.
“Unless President Trump considers undoing some of the 2017 tax cuts for the wealthy, Schumer won’t even consider a proposal from the president to raise the gas tax, of which the poor and working people would bear the brunt,” the Democratic source said.
Tuesday’s gathering marks the first meeting between Trump and the top Democratic leaders since the report from special counsel Robert Mueller was made public. It comes as multiple Democratic-led committees in the House have launched investigations into Trump, his administration, his business dealings and whether he obstructed justice.
A handful of other House Democrats will be attending Tuesday’s meeting: Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (Md.), Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (S.C.), Assistant Speaker Ben Ray Luján (N.M.), Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (Mass.) and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio (Ore.).
On the Senate side, Democratic attendees will include Minority Whip Dick Durbin (Ill.), Assistant Democratic Leader Patty Murray (Wash.), Democratic Policy Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (Mich.), and Sens. Ron Wyden (Ore.) and Tom Carper (Del.), the ranking members of the Finance and Environment and Public Works committees, respectively.
Democratic leaders are in a tough spot as their base pushes for the president’s impeachment while most Americans oppose it.
A recent Washington Post/ABC News poll found that the majority of Americans are against impeaching the president following the publication of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. According to the poll, around 37 percent of Americans are pro-impeachment, a slightly lower figure than last month. Meanwhile, 56 percent of Americans oppose impeachment.
Breaking the results into parties: 62 percent of Democrats responded to the poll in support of impeachment, while 87 percent of Republican respondents opposed to it. Among independents, 36 percent support impeaching the president, showing a drop in the group’s support for impeachment since before the release of the Mueller report, according to January’s Washington Post/ABC News poll. Poll respondents who strongly oppose impeachment also outnumber those who strongly support, with strong opposition at 49 percent and strong support at 29 percent.
According to ABC News, this shows a 10-point rise since August in those strongly opposed to impeachment. It also reflects an 11-point decrease since August in those strongly in favor of impeachment.
The results reveal a dilemma for Democratic politicians at the moment: keeping their increasingly leftist base happy without alienating the majority of Americans who are against impeachment. The impeachment issue has already shown itself to be divisive within the Democratic party. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, both Democratic presidential nominee contenders, are placing their bets on pro-impeachment voters. Both senators have publicly urged Congress to initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump.
“I believe Congress should take the steps towards impeachment,” Harris said, reported by CNN. “I believe that we need to get rid of this President.”
“The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty,” Warren wrote on Twitter last week. “That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States.”
Meanwhile, old-school Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has taken it upon herself do damage control for her party. Her more pragmatic approach to impeachment has shown itself to be at odds with her younger Democratic colleagues.
“Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country,”Pelosi told The Washington Post in March. “And he’s just not worth it.”
The public’s views on impeachment may be backing Democrats into a lose-lose situation. While Pelosi is working to appeal to the largest group of Americans on the issue of impeachment, she’s risking angering more leftist Democrats.
And while Harris and Warren cite the Mueller report as grounds for impeachment, 58 percent of Americans say that the results of the report had no effect on their view of the Trump administration, according to the Washington Post/ABC poll. In fact, 46 percent of the poll respondents said they won’t be taking the report into consideration when they vote in the 2020 presidential election.
Democratic nominee hopefuls may have to choose between upsetting their more extreme leftist supporters or alienating the general populace, who obviously aren’t eager to initiate impeachment. Either way could cost Democratic contenders their party’s nomination.

The Democrat hopeful made the claim in a call to supporters after he launched his campaign this week, according to the Daily Mail.
“I get calls from people all over the world. World leaders are calling me, and they’re almost begging me to do this, to save the country, save the world,” Biden reportedly said.
President Donald Trump has been a thorn in the side of globalist politicians placing entrenched corporate interests above the needs of their own citizens. On issues such as illegal immigration, NATO contributions, global warming, and Chinese aggression, Trump has bucked international leaders rather than go along to get along. In particular, Germany’s open-borders prime minister Angela Merkel has been repeatedly humiliated in confrontations with Trump.
Biden has tried to frame himself as a populist candidate, bashing Wall Street and pledging to reject campaign cash from federal lobbyists to counteract the Obama administration’s infamously cozy relationship with big banks. However, this admission that globalists see him as their best hope to oust Trump has the potential to hurt his case with voters.
Further, the failure to disclose which nations want him to run brings up further questions about the Biden family’s relationship to the Chinese government, as first exposed in Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer’s book Secret Empires. Schweizer suggests that the communist regime was “buying off Biden through his son” with a shady ten-figure deal:
In December of 2013, Hunter Biden flies on Air Force 2 to Beijing, China, with his father. His father meets with Chinese officials, he’s very soft on Beijing. The most important thing that happens 10 days after they return. And that’s when Hunter Biden’s small, private equity firm called Rosemont Seneca Partners gets a $1 billion private equity deal with the Chinese government, not with the Chinese corporation, with the government. And what people need to realize is Hunter Biden has no background in China, he has no background in private equity.
Biden kicked off his campaign Thursday morning with a video where he repeated the hoax narrative that Trump called neo-Nazis “very fine people” in the aftermath of the 2017 riots in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The same day, a campaign spokeswoman asserted that Biden asked Barack Obama not to endorse his former Vice President because the candidate needs to win the primary “on his own merits.”
The Wall Street Journal reporter Sadie Gurman says Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein called allegations that AG Bill Barr mishandled the Mueller report is ‘completely bizarre.’ Beleaguered Justice Department No. 2 Rod Rosenstein raised eyebrows Thursday night with a private speech in which he took a swipe at the Obama administration and slammed ex-FBI boss James Comey.
Rosenstein, the U.S. deputy attorney general who supervised the Mueller investigation, spoke out publicly for the first time since the report was released, criticizing the Obama administration’s real-time reaction to Russian hacking and its decision “not publicize the full story” to the American people.
Rosenstein, who was speaking in New York at the Public Servants Dinner of the Armenian Bar Association, defended his handling of the probe and criticized former officials in the process. He also called out former FBI Director James Comey for alerting Congress about the investigation into Russian collusion at the height of the 2016 presidential campaign.
“The FBI disclosed classified evidence about the investigation to ranking legislators and their staffers,”he said. “Someone selectively leaked details to the news media. The FBI director [Comey] announced at a congressional hearing that there was a counterintelligence investigation that might result in criminal charges. Then the former FBI director alleged that the president pressured him to close the investigation, and the president denied that the conversation occurred.
“So that happened,” he joked.
The Obama administration has been criticized for its handling of the Russian interference. Trump has blamed Obama for not acting quickly enough to stem Russia’s influence during the campaign.
In 2016, NBC News, citing unnamed high-level officials, reported that the Obama administration did not respond more forcefully because it did not want to appear to be interfering with the election. One official told the network at the time, “They thought [Hillary Clinton] was going to win, so they were willing to kick the can down the road.”
A reporter for NPR said the Obama administration debated how to handle the information and decided that Obama should deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin privately about the matter.
He blasted “mercenary critics”who benefit financially by expressing “passionate opinions about any topic, often with little or no information. They do not just express disagreement. They launch ad hominem attacks unrestricted by truth or morality. They make threats, spread fake stories and even attack your relatives.”
Rosenstein has maintained a tenuous relationship with Trump. Congressional Republicans have also accused him of withholding documents and not investigating aggressively enough what they contend was political bias within the FBI.
Former FBI General Counsel James Baker, in closed-door testimony before congressional committees last October, provided detail about internal discussions concerning Rosenstein’s reported offer to wear a wire to tape the president in the tumultuous days following James Comey’s firing as FBI director in May 2017.
Fox News has confirmed portions of the transcript to the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees.
“At my confirmation hearing in March 2017, a Republican senator asked me to make a commitment,”he recalled. “He said: “You’re going to be in charge of this [Russia] investigation. I want you to look me in the eye and tell me that you’ll do it right, that you’ll take it to its conclusion and you’ll report [your results] to the American people.
“I did pledge to do it right and take it to the appropriate conclusion. I did not promise to report all results to the public, because grand jury investigations are ex parte proceedings. It is not our job to render conclusive factual findings. We just decide whether it is appropriate to file criminal charges.”
Rosenstein is leaving his post in two months. He had some fun with his speech and answered the question that so many on social media were asking after watching him standing stoically behind Attorney General William Barr during the lead-up to the Mueller report release.
“Last week, the big topic of discussion was, ‘What were you thinking when you stood behind Bill Barr at that press conference, with a deadpan expression?’ The answer is: I was thinking, “My job is to stand here with a deadpan expression.’”

Now that President Trump has been cleared of “colluding” with Russia during the 2016 election, more and more information points to the Obama White House’s wrongdoing. It looks like a new report, set to drop in May or June, will show that Barack Obama interfered more in the 2016 presidential election that Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Former US Attorney Joe diGenova recently appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”
He noted, “The Horowitz report is coming out in May or early June. There’s another report that everyone has forgotten about involving James Comey alone. That will be out in two weeks. That report is going to be a bombshell. It is going to open up the investigation on a very high note and there are going to be criminal referrals in it.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden finally announced his decision to run for president, and he threw former President Barack Obama under the bus on the first day.
Biden joined the crowded field of 2020 Democrats on Thursday and immediately received praise from Obama, but he stopped short of endorsing his former running mate, according to CNBC.
“President Obama has long said that selecting Joe Biden as his running mate in 2008 was one of the best decisions he ever made,”Obama spokesperson Katie Hill said in a statement.
“He relied on the Vice President’s knowledge, insight, and judgment throughout both campaigns and the entire presidency. The two forged a special bond over the last 10 years and remain close today.”
But Obama didn’t explicitly endorse Biden, and that’s because Biden doesn’t want Obama’s endorsement.
“I asked President Obama not to endorse,”Biden said Thursday. “Whoever wins this nomination should win it on their own merits.”
Obviously, Biden’s claim that he wants to win the race on his own merits is questionable. Any candidate who wants to become the next president would accept an endorsement if it would help his or her cause. Obama is extremely popular among the far left, so it’s confusing why Biden would tell him not to endorse.
However, Obama is not particularly liked outside of far-left circles, which could be the key to understanding why Biden denied a potential endorsement. It seems as if Biden is trying to distance himself from the former president in order to make a broader appeal to the American people.
The options right now for moderate Democrats are pretty slim. Other than Biden, the front-runners are far left, including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren. Biden will definitely need a way to differentiate himself from his progressive competition, and distancing himself from Obama is a good start to wooing more moderate Democrats. Besides, radical Democrats don’t like Biden anyway. He’s too white, too old and doesn’t have the right gender.
Regardless of Biden’s strategy, it was probably deeply insulting for Obama to have Biden ask him not to endorse his candidacy. Obama’s legacy is stained to the point where his endorsement isn’t even wanted.

If you think you’re saving the environment by driving a Tesla, well, let me let you in on a bit of a secret: You could perhaps emit less carbon if you went with a diesel car. The findings of a new study by a group of German scientists seem counterintuitive at first. They found that electric vehicles in their home country accounted for more emissions than those smoggy diesels. Until, that is, you realize that “zero emissions”vehicles aren’t really so zero emissions.
“When CO2 emissions linked to the production of batteries and the German energy mix — in which coal still plays an important role — are taken into consideration, electric vehicles emit 11% to 28% more than their diesel counterparts, according to the study, presented on Wednesday at the Ifo Institute in Munich,”the Brussels Times reported.
“Mining and processing the lithium, cobalt and manganese used for batteries consume a great deal of energy,”the report said. “A Tesla Model 3 battery, for example, represents between 11 and 15 tons of CO2.
“Given a lifetime of 10 years and an annual travel distance of 15,000 kilometres, this translates into 73 to 98 grams of CO2 per kilometre, scientists Christoph Buchal, Hans-Dieter Karl and Hans-Werner Sinn noted in their study.”
When you factor in the energy needed to charge the batteries, this ups that total to 156 to 180 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
The study’s authors recommended that instead of pushing for the adoption of “zero emission”electric cars, European officials should instead move toward other sources of power for automobiles — namely methane, “whose emissions are one-third less than those of diesel motors.”
This, by the way, is hardly the only study that’s questioned whether electric cars are really as environmentally friendly as their proponents claim. A 2017 study by researchers at the University of Michigan found that the amount of CO2 emitted by electric cars varied wildly by country, but it certainly wasn’t zero.
“The report — authored by Michael Sivak and Brandon Schoettle — notes that an electric car recharged by a coal-fired plant produces as much CO2 as a gasoline-powered car that gets 29 miles per gallon,” Investors Business Daily reported. “(For context, the average mpg of all the cars, SUVs, vans and light trucks sold in the U.S. over the past year is 25.2 mpg.) A plug-in recharged by a natural gas-powered plant is like driving a car that gets 58 miles per gallon.
“Solar, wind and geothermal do far better on this score, but they generate a small portion of the nation’s electricity. More than 64% of electricity is generated by coal, natural gas or other fossil fuels.
“The U of M researchers calculate that, given the energy mix in the U.S., the average plug-in produces as much CO2 as a conventional car that gets 55.4 miles per gallon.”
That’s not terrible, but it’s not great, either. And keep in mind, the cost of electricity goes up the more renewables you throw into the mix, which dissuades people from adopting them.
For other countries, the cars fare even worse. In China, which has been pushing widespread adoption of electric vehicles, the cars put out as much CO2 as a car that gets 40 miles per gallon.
“And even this exaggerates the environmental benefits of electric cars because the report doesn’t take into account the additional CO2 emissions involved in making batteries,”the IBD report said.
“A separate study from the Union of Concerned Scientists found that, depending on the type of plug-in being built, manufacturing a battery-powered car generates anywhere from 15% to 68% more CO2 emissions than a conventional gas-powered car,”the report said. “The reason is that producing the batteries is incredibly energy intensive.”
Now, if you like owning an electric car, that’s fine. But if your reason for owning it is that you think you’re doing the environment a favor, you’re wrong. The idea that these vehicles have “zero emissions” might be one of the biggest scams of the 21st century, particularly given how expensive renewable energy currently is. No matter what owners of these vehicles may believe, smug can’t eliminate smog.

Should incarcerated criminals have the right to vote?
We wrote an article a while back asking Leftists to at least consider the idea that Democrats attempted a coup against President Trump.
Because Leftists are incapable of thinking they are wrong, I needed to “bitch-slap” them into what I know to be the reality: Democrats tried to set Trump (and satellites) up.
Many now come to that conclusion. Despite the con job currently underway by Adam “I have more damaging info on Trump” Schiff’s protestations otherwise. Things have turned on Democrats in a bad way.
And we see it with what fake news CNN admitted recently in an op-ed:
The Mueller report flatly states that Russia began interfering in American democracy in 2014. Over the next couple of years, the effort blossomed into a robust attempt to interfere in our 2016 presidential election. The Obama administration knew this was going on and yet did nothing. In 2016, Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice told her staff to “stand down”and “knock it off” as they drew up plans to “strike back” against the Russians, according to an account from Michael Isikoff and David Corn in their book “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump”.
Apparently Obama was busy striking a nuclear deal with Iran. At least that’s how some people want to frame it. Personally, I think a lot more than a nuclear deal kept Obama’s attention.
Criminal in Chief
I recently stumbled across a list of 78 times Obama violated the constitution or broke federal laws.
Upon the most interesting entries, Obama illegally armed both Mexican drug cartels and ISIS militants. The same day Obama called for stricter gun control, he authorized a shipment of guns to the Syrian opposition. And to add another layer of criminal activity, Obama engaged in racketeering when he pressured banks not to do business with gun stores. Talk about sending mixed messages.
Of course, not all his crimes related to guns. Obama used the IRS to target conservatives.Obama also ordered Boing to fire 1,000 employees for being non-union. Further, Obama terminated his Inspector General after it was discovered that Obama’s friend was embezzling money. Then Obama raided Gibson guitar factory because it’s owned by a Republican.
I don’t even want to start in on ObamaCare and the lies and deceit it embodies. But I will mention the Obama Administration had hundreds of meetings with lobbyists at coffee shops so they could avoid the required disclosures. He also used off-the-books funding for various military endeavors. And on his way out the door, Obama released violent terrorists from Guantanamo Bay. Not surprisingly, more than half of them went right back to attacking us.
In fact, Obama was so busy committing crimes against America, it’s no wonder Obama didn’t have time to hold the Russians accountable for their meddling in US elections.
But has anyone heard from Obama since the Mueller report came out? Of course not. Because if he addresses the nation, questions will be asked. Instead, Obama will stay out of the spotlight and leave it to his cronies to make excuses.
Obama’s supporters claim he did stand up to Russia by deploying sanctions after the election to punish them for their actions. But, Obama, according to the Washington Post, “approved a modest package… with economic sanctions so narrowly targeted that even those who helped design them describe their impact as largely symbolic.” In other words, a toothless response to a serious incursion.
But don’t just take my word for it that Obama failed. Congressman Adam Schiff, who disgraced himself in this process by claiming collusion when Mueller found that none exists, once said that “the Obama administration should have done a lot more.” The Washington Post reported that a senior Obama administration official said they “sort of choked” in failing to stop the Russian government’s brazen activities. And Obama’s ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, said, “The punishment did not fit the crime”about the weak sanctions rolled out after the 2016 election.
Obviously, we know Obama was as crooked as a Clinton. The only real surprise here is that CNN finally admits the only collusion happened on the left.
