Britain outraged by Palestinian payments to terrorists “who left this British woman for dead”

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3520852/You-pay-two-Palestinian-terrorists-left-Britain-woman-dead-killed-friend-9-000-year-reward.html

I don’t know Kay Wilson. But I’ve seen her on social media, both Facebook and Twitter. She frequently makes reference to how she was carved up and butchered by Palestinians, but harbors no hatred of Palestinians. Israelly Cool has extensive archives on Kay Wilson.

I never really knew her story, though. But that story is in the news in Britain as part of the British coming to terms with their role in supporting terrorism against Jews in Israel through financial aid to charities and the Palestinian Authority.

Several of our recent posts have addressed this British soul-searching:

Kay Wilson is in the news because The Daily Mail has an extenstive write-up on her story, and how the terrorists who butchered her are being paid by the Palestinian Authority while in prison, a common benefit bestowed on those who murder or maim Jews.TW01A TW01B

The Daily Mail story is titled You pay two Palestinian terrorists who left this British woman for dead and killed her friend £9,000 each every year – as a ‘REWARD’ :

Two Palestinian terrorists who repeatedly stabbed a British woman in a brutal attack and killed her friend are now each receiving at least £9,000 in ‘blood money’ every year with the help of UK aid.

Kay Wilson was left for dead in an orgy of violence in Jerusalem in which Kristine Luken, an American, was killed.

The attackers were eventually caught and, after admitting their crimes, were sent to prison.

But Ms Wilson was horrified to learn from news reports that her assailants were being paid a monthly stipend equivalent to £750 each effectively from the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Last week The Mail on Sunday exposed how ‘reward’ payments are going via the PA to thousands of terrorists and to hundreds of other prisoners in Israeli jails.

Ms Wilson, 51, and her friend were hiking in the Judean Hills in 2010 when the two men pounced on them, believing both women to be Jewish, although Miss Luken was Christian. After tying the women up the terrorists launched a savage attack.

Miss Luken died from her stab wounds. Miss Wilson still bears a seven-inch scar on her stomach and, more than five years on, breathing still causes her pain.

Ms Wilson said: ‘We were held for 30 minutes at knife point then gagged and bound before being butchered with machetes.

‘I watched my friend chopped up before my eyes, and only survived because I played dead, despite being stabbed 13 times and having over 30 bones broken by the sheer force of the blows.

‘Each time he plunged his machete into me I could hear my bones crunch, and also my flesh ripping from the serrated blade.

tw02A TW02B

Three is a petition that has garnered almost 200,000 signatures (as of this writing) calling for a cut in foreign aid.

Wilson was interviewed two weeks after the attack, and the interview was run in The Jerusalem Post on January 27, 2011, in ‘What a waste, I’m 46 years old and I’m being murdered’

As Wilson recounts the attack minute by minute, her voice stays stoic and calm. She wants the world to know what happened to her in the forest; she wants to share what has happened so she can begin the process of healing.

The two women got out of the car with Wilson’s dog, Peanut, and walked a bit on the Israel Trail. They had wandered off the path to an overlook when suddenly two Arab men appeared and asked in Hebrew if they had any water.

“I was startled… so I answered in Hebrew, which was a mistake,” Wilson said. “I know what they were trying to do, they were trying to figure out if we were Jewish.”

The men gave her an uneasy feeling, so Wilson suggested they head back to the path. She walked in front of Luken and opened the blade of her pen knife.

“Suddenly, she screams, and as I turn around one of them pounces on me, the other one has already pounced on her,” Wilson recounted. “This is the moment I was so terrified.

This was the overwhelming moment of fear for me, this first part.”

She struggled with her attacker, who had pulled out a very long, serrated knife, and managing to stab him in the thigh with her pen knife.

It was this stab that later allowed forensics experts to collect DNA at the site and positively identify the attacker, the Shin Bet said….

Meanwhile, the attackers were on their cellphones, saying over and over in Arabic, “Where are you?!” coordinating with at least one other member of the terrorist cell who was in the getaway vehicle….

As one of the men used pieces of Luken’s jacket to gag the women, it dawned on Wilson that they were going to be kidnapped.

“I’m standing there and I have the most terrible thought: that if we’re going to go sit with Gilad Schalit [in captivity], it’s better to be dead. It’s the most horrendous decision,” she said.

Then the women were separated and Wilson was forced to get on her knees with her head bowed. Suddenly the fear of murder became real.

“I see he gets out his knife and he pushes my head forward and I’m just waiting to be beheaded. I think psychologically at that point I lost all sense of fear. I completely blacked out, all I could think about was that he’d make a clean cut that he wouldn’t be messy.

“I’m waiting for ‘Allahu akbar!’ but it doesn’t come.

Instead, I hear ‘Oh no, oh God,’ and I can hear them starting to stab [Kristine] a few times. The next thing I know…he’s just stabbing me.

“It was so terrifying that there wasn’t a capacity for fear.

I’m just thinking, ‘I’m being murdered, what a waste, I’m 46 years old and I’m actually being murdered.’ I say ‘Shema Yisrael’ and the next thing I know I can hear Kristine really, really crying. And I’m thinking, ‘Stop it Kristine, stop it, you’ll have a chance if you just stop it.’” The first five or six stabs were into her muscles, but when one punctured her diaphragm, Wilson thought it was the end….

Finally the two men left, though they returned a moment later when Luken let out a cry, stabbing her several more times until she stopped making noise altogether. One of the men came over to Wilson, flipped her on her back, and drove his knife into her sternum, where her Star of David had been. Wilson managed not to cry out, and continuing to play dead.

As I mentioned near the start, when I see Kay Wilson on social media, it’s not to spread hate, it’s to spread healing. With the release of The Daily Mail story, she made sure to point out that she was saved by an Arab Israeli surgeon:

Wilson recently told her story outside the United Nations, as hideous anti-Israel propaganda and resolutions were debated and passed by the ill-named U.N. Human Rights Council.

You Say Islamist – I Say Wahhabist

waving flagJanuary 5, 2016 By

According to Saudi’s Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Asheikh, both ISIS and al-Qaeda are enemy number one. I guess he couldn’t choose just one. Maybe it’s one of those 1 and 1A kinds of things.

Off topic as it is – who chooses the names for these characters anyway? Do they get to choose? If so, why must they always be so long? Could you imagine having to endorse a check or sign one of the tiny electronic keypads at the grocery store – or signing autographs for the Grand Mufti groupies? Sheesh!

Anyway, the Mufti – oh excuse me – the Grand Mufti stated emphatically that, “The ideas of extremism, radicalism and terrorism … have nothing to do with Islam and (their proponents) are the enemy number one of Islam.”

Yet about the time he was condemning the two terror groups for their barbarism, he was signing off on one of the largest mass executions in the country’s history. They executed 47 “criminals.” Among these criminals was a Shiite cleric, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr (again with the names). This did not please Shiite Iran, as response to the executions, they attacked and burned the Saudi embassy in Tehran.

No one knows exactly what  their “crimes” were – only that the verdict against the “47 criminals was based on Allah’s Book and the Prophet’s Sunnah.”

The Grand Mufti, or G-Muf to his homies, claims they were tried properly according to Shariah law and found guilty of killing and making explosives. Well, that’s good enough for me, cause we can’t have anyone killing or making explosives. And I’m sure the cleric Nimrod al-Nimrod, being Shiite, where as the Saudi’s are Sunni, was just a happy coincidence.

Grand Mufti

G-Muf

But the 72 old Grand Mufti, complete with gray beard and gnarled eye, is evidently not without a sense of humor as he stated that not only is ISIS enemy numero uno, but that they “are in actuality Israeli soldiers.” Huh – who knew.

“This threat against Israel is simply a lie. Actually, Daesh (ISIS) is part of the Israeli soldiers,” said G-Muf. “The mufti also dismissed the seriousness of the threat declared by self-proclaimed Islamic State caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. If the Islamic State was serious, al-Asheikh said, they would be ‘killing Jews and liberating Palestine.’” He labeled the Islamic State heretics and they were doing damage to Islam and Muslims.

Well G-Muf –ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Sure the Saudi royal family and their holy men, like G-Muf, all publically proclaim their disgust of Islamist terror, but there’s a little thing called Wahhabism, the radical Islamic ideology that dates back a lot further than that of the Islamic State. So it’s time for another history lesson that I’ll guarantee the Grand Mufti knows all about and I also bet he’s a big booster.

The radical Wahhabi movement was founded by – here we go again – Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab in the 1700’s. Now, we’ve heard that terrorists like ISIS wish to return to the time of the earliest Muslims in the 7th century. Well, that’s exactly what al-Wahhab wished to do.

Al-Wahhab created the “Kitab al-Tawid” or “Book of God’s Uniqueness,” which became the “guiding text for his followers, who consequently speak of themselves as Muwahhidun (total monotheists) or as Salafis (followers of the ways of the first Muslims).”

After being run out of his home town, al- Wahhab found refuge in the city of Diriyah, north of what is now Riyadh, a city then ruled by Muhammad ibn Saud. The two had a commonality of cause and al-Wahhab agreed to help Saud fight his battles and send messengers of the faith out to spread the word and convert Muslims to Wahhabism. Of course those who refused, just as today, didn’t fare well. The messengers declared that, “King Saud, who was presented as Allah’s chosen monarch to whom all Muslims had to pledge baya, or absolute allegiance, so as not to face annihilation as foes of god.” Sound familiar?

Between 1744 and 1818 Wahhabist preachers, and the troops that backed them up, swept across the region securing the first kingdom of the House of Saud, or Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabist beliefs ran so deep that even the mighty Ottoman empire couldn’t wipe them out completely.

In 1824 the Saudi kingdom reemerged. At the throne was Emirate of Nejd, who ruled the kingdom from it’s new capital, Riyadh, between 1824 and 1891. The third Saudi kingdom started in 1932, who’s ruler, Abdulaziz ibn Saud (’32 – ’53) used Wahhabism to unite the many tribes under the Saudi umbrella.

“King Faisal ibn Abdulaziz al-Saud (ruled 1964–75) decided the propaganda of Wahhabism, which proclaims the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the sole rightful defender of Islam, would become the long-term strategy for the monarchy’s survival.”

During the Cold War, Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (ruled 1982 until his death in 2005) saw the opportunity to spread Wahhabism using weaponized jihad. During Fahd’s reign, “Saudi Arabia spent $4 billion per year on mosques, madrassas, preachers, students, and textbooks to spread the Wahhabi creed over the next decades.” But they weren’t/aren’t educating aspiring holy man. They were/are training terrorists – jihadis using Wahhabist theology and oh by the way, American supplied weapons.

And it’s no different today. The Saudis claim to be our friends and allies against terror, but the House of Saud has been quietly funding Wahhabist terror for many decades. They have created the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and ISIS and their influence is global through their funding of thousands of Mosques and Muslim Centers, where radical Wahhabist preachers recruit new jihadists. Most of the more than 1200 Mosques in the U.S. were funded by the Saudis.

The Saudis are bad people and certainly not our friends. Their radical Wahhabist ideology, while kept under wraps, is entirely incompatible with America and a free, secular society.

So when we hear old G-Muf state that extremism and terrorism are not Islam, you know for fact, he is lying his a** off.

Al Qaeda leader hints at ‘unity’ with Islamic State

muslim-obamaU.S. intelligence officials say al Qaeda has seen its standing as the leader of the global jihad movement “dented,” and regard an audio recording reportedly released over the weekend by the group’s leader as an attempt to reclaim its prominence. Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahri called for “unity” among jihadis in taking on the West, encouraged strikes at the “heartland” of the U.S. and praised recent attacks on Jews in Israel in an audio recording released Sunday.

“Reports of a new Zawahri statement calling for unity in light of developments in Syria are his latest attempts to avoid being further sidelined” by the Islamic State, said a U.S. intelligence official speaking on background.

Al Qaeda and the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS, have feuded over territory in Syria and prominence over the last year, with Zawahri previously lashing out at Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and calling him unworthy of leading the jihadi movement. The al Qaeda leader does not endorse the Islamic State in his latest message, but instead suggests the potential for greater cooperations between the two groups.

“The Americans, Russians, Iranians, Alawites, and Hezbollah are coordinating their war against us — are we not capable of stopping the fighting among ourselves so we can direct all our efforts against them?” Zawahri said in Sunday’s message, as translated by Reuters.Islam is NOT

Another U.S. intelligence source said Monday that officials are still working to authenticate the recording.

In the recording, Zawahri also goes on to praise recent stabbing attacks carried out against Jews at the Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem — asking God “to bless these martyrdom-seekers who dare to stab the Jews even as they are almost certain that they will be killed at the Jews’ hands,” according to a report in The Long War Journal. He also says that in order to “liberate” Jerusalem, jihadis must attack “the West, and especially America, in its heartland,” according to the report.

In September, CIA Director John O. Brennan warned that despite the reach of the Islamic State, it would only take one grand operation to put al Qaeda back into the global spotlight.

Palestinian Incitement And Muslim Absurdity At The Temple Mount

Palestinian Incitement And Muslim Absurdity At The Temple Mount

Over and over Abbas and other high ranking Muslims have claimed the Jews want to take over the mount and/or (God Forbid!) pray, precisely because it is an easy way to incite violence.  And it has been a card Abbas has been playing often.

In 2014 after weeks of incitement about the Temple Mount by the leadership of the Palestinian Authority, there was a wave of violence in Jerusalem cumulating in a terror attack where five rabbis were slaughtered in a Jerusalem Synagogue as they met for morning prayers.

terror-har-nof

Immediately after the attack Chairman Abbas toned it down for a bit, but soon returned to his insightful ways claiming that the Jews wanted to Judaicize  the Temple Mount. The truth is his claims have little to do with faith.

A major strategy of the Palestinians in their goal of ultimately taking over all of Israel is to deny Jewish and Christian ties to the land. They do this by de-legitimizing the Jewish connection to a holy site and/or destroying Jewish holy sites. That’s why they hold on to the Temple Mount, destroying artifacts. That is why they burned down Joseph’s Tomb and it is why they claim the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel’s Tomb. But it’s not only Jewish sites, the Palestinians have laid claim to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and in 2002 invaded and trashed Jesus’ birthplace in Bethlehem.

In a recent televised speech Abbas claimed, “The Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher are ours. They are all ours, and they have no right to defile them with their filthy feet.” He added, “We salute every drop of blood spilled for the sake of Jerusalem.

Despite the incitement by the Palestinian leaders there is a constant drawing of moral equivalence, “both sides need to calm the violence” type of nonsense.  The truth is only the Palestinian side is inciting violence, Netanyahu has been calling for calm (and for Abbas to stop inciting the violence).

Now it looks as if there is a solution for now. The Jordanians had proposed to Israel that cameras be installed on the Temple ;Mount to ensure that no damage was being done to the mosques, and no violations of the status quo; a proposal which Netanyahu accepted.

Think about that for a second.  In most places in the world closed circuit cameras are installed to insure no crimes get committed, but at Judaism’s holiest site, closed circuit cameras will be installed to insure no Jews pray to God.

Which brings to mind a story that demonstrates the absurdity of this situation.

An American couple was honeymooning in Jerusalem and has a chance encounter with Gilad Erdan Israel’s public security minister.  Erdan. asks them if they are enjoying their trip. They respond that it is wonderful, that the only thing missing was they had always wanted to visit the Temple Mount. Being a nice guy Erdan says he could arrange it for them.

The groom tells Gilad that he understands there are things the couple are not allowed to do on top of the temple mount. But he also  reminds Erdan that they are newlyweds and asks if it would be okay if they snuck in a quick kiss while no one was looking. “Of course” said Gilad . “What if it was a long kiss?” “Well you are newlyweds said the public security minister.” “But what if it was an embrace? ” asked the bride.  “That shouldn’t be a problem,’ said the Israeli. The groom continued, ” What if we no longer could control our passion, ripped off each others cloths and made mad passionate love..right there in front of everyone?” “I supposed that would be okay said the Israeli official, “you are married.”  The groom spoke again, “What if we were overwhelmed with ecstasy and while we were naked and making love in front of everybody in the middle of the Temple we screamed out at the top of our lungs Oh God, Oh God, OH GOD !

“Are you guys nuts?”   Asked Gilad Erdan, “The Muslims will think you are praying!”

One of numerous violent incidents across the region in recent weeks, Marike Veldman recalled spotting two suspicious men on the bus she was riding last week. “I thought to myself, ‘What were they doing on a bus at this hour? They should be at work,” she explained.

Within moments, Veldman said the men began praising Allah as one fired shots and the other began stabbing her.stab01

“People screamed very loudly,” she said, describing the ordeal as “awful.”

Though two individuals died in the attack, Veldman survived – as did 15 other injured passengers – and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She said she immediately turned to her faith as she was being stabbed. “I cried constantly in Dutch,” she said, “‘Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus! Help me! Help me!’”stab02

As she called out to Jesus, Veldman said the man backed away, allowing her to escape through the bus’s open door.

“I started walking up the hill there and I was bleeding terribly and I was alone,” she said, noting that a Jewish passerby picked her up and drove her to the hospital. Reports indicate she was admitted with several injuries, including punctured lungs.

Obama-Kerry State Dept Accuses Israel of Terrorism

waving flagby Ken Klukowski 23 October 2015

John Kerry AP

Shifty-600-LIJERUSALEM—Ordinary Israelis are furious about the Obama administration’s accusing Israel of committing acts of terrorism, drawing moral equivalency between the Jewish State and the terrorists who seek Israel’s destruction. On Oct. 13, Secretary of State John Kerry suggested at a forum hosted at Harvard that Israel’s building additional residences in West Bank towns—which Israel’s opponents refer toBack-stabed1 as building settlements, carrying the connotation that Jews are “settling” land that belongs to someone else—is provoking the current wave of attacks against Israel. The following day, Kerry’s spokesman at the U.S. Department of State—John Kirby—was asked to clarify Kerry’s remarks.

Kirby was asked, “You do consider it an act of terrorism. Okay, so that would suggest then that you believe that this is—that both sides are, in fact, committing these…” Kirby cut off the questioner to respond, “Well, I would say certainly individuals on both sides of this divide are—have proven capable of, and in our view [are], guilty of acts of terror.”America Antisemitism

Israelis whom Breitbart News talked to on the streets of Jerusalem were less than enthusiastic about the comparison.

1406862781006-WebOnly072914indy-gazaYoav Rotem is a tour guide in Israel, whose business takes groups to historical, cultural, and religious sites across the country, as well as conducting wine-tasting tours. Shown this quote, he responded, “It’s a bit stupid. Two Israelis were involved in an act that was terrible but he’s putting me in the same category as if I were a terrorist. I do not want to wipe the Palestinian people off the map.” Rotem noted that his perspective was as someone who deals daily with foreigners as he takes them on tours. He believes that Israelis who do not regularly deal with Americans might have a more blunt assessment: “Many regular Israelis would simply say of Kerry, ‘He’s a son of a bitch.’”

Breitbart News also spoke with an Israeli soldier, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to comment on U.S. policy. “That is insane,” he began. “We punish anyone who deliberately attacks innocent people, and do everything to avoid harming civilians. The Palestinians deliberately target civilians, and celebrate those who succeed.”

I am from the US GovernmentElliot Chodoff, a leading Israeli counter-terrorism agent whom Breitbart News has quoted previously in this series of reports, remarked a couple days later— not in response to Kerry’s and Kirby’s words, but regarding current pressure from Washington— “The United States says Israel must show restraint, when we have had one thousand rockets fired into Israel over the past year. I wonder how America would respond if a thousand rockets were launched into New York or New Jersey.”

Shifting gears, he adds:

“Then IDF [Israeli Defense Force] responds to take out the attackers and the rocket launchers, who are launching against Israeli civilians, firing from Gaza’s schools, and hospitals, and other civilian locations, and sooner or later civilians are killed during the response—because all humans make mistakes, and war is messy, and the reality is that there are almost always unintended casualties during military operations, especially in urban settings—then the United Nations issues a statement condemning Israel for human-rights violations.”D-Shied-590-LI

Back in the U.S., Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reacted to the remarks from Kerry and Kirby in a press statement: “The Obama administration is the most hostile we have seen towards the nation of Israel in our nation’s history.” Calling the remarks an “unfounded slur” that is “utterly unacceptable,” he added, “We must immediately and unconditionally reject the delusion that the coordinated Palestinian frenzy of bloodlust is in any way legitimate. There is no moral equivalence here between the savagery of the Palestinian terrorists and the innocent Israelis they are trying to murder.”Half-Way-590-LI-300x214

Netanyahu: Grand Mufti Made Pact with Hitler, Encouraged Him ‘to Exterminate the Jews’

waving flagby Jordan Schachtel 21 Oct 2015

German Federal Archives via Wikimedia Commons

In a speech delivered on Tuesday at the 37th Zionist Congress, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made waves when he discussed the relationship between Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini.

“Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here.’ ‘So what should I do with them?’ he asked. He said, ‘Burn them.’”

The New York Times headline declared, “Netanyahu Draws Broad Criticism After Saying a Palestinian Inspired Holocaust.”

The Guardian published a piece titled, “Anger at Netanyahu claim Palestinian grand mufti inspired Holocaust.”

Countless other mainstream media outlets followed suit, piling on criticism of Netanyahu.

Many media outlets insisted on referring to Husseini as a Palestinian, despite the fact that the leader of the Arabs in British Mandate Palestine would never have been referred to as a Palestinian because that title was sometimes reserved for the Jews living there. In fact, it was PLO leader and Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat who was widely recognized as one of the first leaders of the Palestinian movement, which began as a result of the Arabs’ defeat in the Arab-Israeli war in 1967.

A member of the PLO Executive Committee admitted as much in a 1977 interview when he said: “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.”

Netanyahu later clarified that his greater point was to say that, far before the concept of an Arab-Muslim Palestinian ever existed or before the modern state of Israel was declared, Islamic leaders in the land still sought to eliminate the Jews.

“My intention was not to absolve Hitler of his responsibility,” he later explained. “But rather to show that the forefathers of the Palestinian nation, without a country and without the so-called occupation, without land and without settlements, even then aspired to systematic incitement to exterminate the Jews.”

“Hitler was responsible for the Final Solution to exterminate six million Jews; he made the decision,” a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office added. “It is equally absurd to ignore the role played by the mufti, Haj Amin al -Husseini, a war criminal, for encouraging and urging Hitler.”

The Israeli Prime Minister is speaking of the same Mufti who once said, broadcasting in Arabic from Berlin, “Kill the Jews wherever you find them – this is Allah’s will.”

Whether or not the Mufti actually convinced Hitler to go forward with his plans is a fair topic for debate.

However, the Mufti did support and encourage Hitler in his quest for worldwide Jewish extermination, as proven through historical transcripts provided by the U.S. Holocaust Museum.

In November 1941, the two leaders met in Berlin to discuss the future of the Jewish people living in British Mandate Palestine. Hitler told Husseini that the “struggle against a Jewish homeland in Palestine” would be part of his larger efforts against the Jews. Hitler assured him that when the German army advanced on the Middle East, he would announce to the Arab world that “the hour of liberation is at hand.” Their only goal, Hitler said, “would be the annihilation of Jewry living in Arab space under the protection of British power.”

Moreover, according to the prosecution team during the Nuremberg trials, the Mufti did indeed play a role in facilitating the annihilation of European Jews.

“The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry for the Germans and had been the permanent collaborator and advisor of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of the plan… According to my opinion, the Grand Mufti, who had been in Berlin since 1941, played a role in the decision of the German government to exterminate the European Jews,” an SS officer admitted during the trials.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a man who is revered by some as the founding father of the Palestinian movement, was undoubtedly a supporter of the extermination of Jews, an uncomfortable fact that the international pro-Palestinian Left has not addressed in its criticism of Netanyahu.

Media Reportage Serves to Support Palestinian Terrorism

waving flagBy Meira Svirsky Mon, October 19, 2015

Recent headlines from mainstream media sources

Wars are not fought exclusively on the battlefield. They are fought and supported through ideology – ideas that flow through society originating from politicians to professors, from powerful interest group to grassroots activists. But in today’s age, none of these ideas has a chance of competing in our fast-paced marketplace for attention except the ones chosen to be significant by the most important arbiters of the battlefield: the media.

In theory, journalists report the “facts,” roughly recognized as the compilation of the actual happenings of any given event. Subjective distillation is, of course, always a factor, as all journalists are forced by necessity into choosing the most salient points and leaving out what they deem insignificant details.

But to consciously choose to distort the facts or skew the facts in a way that distorts them takes the writer out of the realm of journalism and into that of propaganda. When propaganda bandied about as journalism is used to support terrorists, journalists become the terrorists’ “willing executioners” – complicit in bloodshed and murder.

The current terrorist onslaught in Israel has seen some of the worst reportage by the world’s conventional media outlets. Over the past three weeks, Israelis have faced murderous Islamists intent on killing them through a variety of means from knifing, shooting or running them over with vehicles. In the course of these attacks, most of the terrorists have been killed — by police, soldiers or armed citizens defending themselves.

Yet, the headlines ring out through world declaring

(from the Independent):

(from NPR, with a full-size picture of a relative crying over and kissing the body of a dead terorist):

(from USA Today):

(and from the Irish Independent, simply):

When Palestinians set the Tomb of the Patriarch Joseph, a revered Jewish holy site, ablaze on Saturday night, CNN reported:

CNN later updated to headline to:

Another recent article on CNN actually writes a dual report of the news of the day under the headline:

The dual report was introduced with the following subhead:

Never mind that Palestinian Authority sources, as spearheaded by Mahmoud Abbas, have a history of lying. What CNN was calling “incidents” happened to be three stabbings and two attempted stabbings of Israelis by Palestinians. One can only imagine the same dual reporting of the West’s battle against ISIS — “incidents” (let’s say, beheadings and stonings of civilians) reported from both the West’s perspective and that of ISIS.

For journalists, the Internet has made fact-checking remarkably easy, however, the Internet’s advent in the world of news has also been a Catch -22. News must now compete with social media, which can provide up-to-the-minute, first-hand reports. Decreasing revenues combined with rolling deadlines means there are fewer resources available with more pressure to get the story out.

Yet, the reportage of the current terror war against Israel goes beyond all fair journalist standards and excuses. As such, media complicity in terror is another battle all fair-minded people need to fight.

The Iranian parliament has rejected the formal, legal text of President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal, negotiated in July by the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Russia, China and the Tehran regime. Instead, the majilis approved their own version of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), creating a situation where the Iranian government simply hasn’t signed on to the accord that Obama and Democratic Senators obligated the United States to uphold.Side-Deal-600-LI

Western media incorrectly reported that the majilis approved the actual text of the JCPOA, according to experts.

New York Post columnist Amir Taheri has explained in a series of social media posts that Iran’s version of the deal calls for the cancellation of sanctions against the regime in Tehran. He also noted that Iran’s version of the nuke deal calls for the dismantling of Israel’s nuclear weapons program, citing Iranian parliamentarian Kazem Jalali.Deal-Vest

The Middle East Media Research Center (MEMRI), a regional watchdog organization, has confirmed that Iran did not pass the deal agreed upon in July. They instead voted to pass the  amended version by a vote of 161-59.

Iranian lawmakers tried to unilaterally amend the deal to strip the United States’ ability to “snapback” sanctions should the Tehran regime cheat the agreement. They also replaced the language to ensure that the deal will “cancel” sanctions forever, instead of “suspending” them, MEMRI reported.

The Middle East monitoring group added that the decision to amend the deal unilaterally came at the behest of Iran’s dictator, Ali Khamenei, who on September 3 promised not to honor the agreement with Obama.Pitiful-Deal-NRD-600

Iran-Cheat-600-LAMoreover, the American Enterprise Institute’s Iran Tracker site noted that Iran considered its unilateral amendments to the deal as four “minor changes.”

Separately, as Iranian regime parliamentarians were voting on their own version of the nuke deal, its military was testing a precision-guided ballistic missile in direct violation of United Nations Security Resolution 1929.

The Iranian government has ramped up its regional aggression in the past few months, as Iran is set to soon receive tens of billions of dollars in unfrozen assets.Deflated Diplomacy

Tehran’s military is now deeply involved in the ongoing civil war in Syria, with some estimates stating that there are 7,000 soldiers in Syria attempting to prop up Bashar al-Assad’s dictatorial rule. Iran has also continued to provide aid and arms to terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah, and has assisted the Houthi insurgents in Yemen. Multiple Gulf states have also accused the regime of backing terrorist movements that seek to overthrow their governments.

Obama Admin Will Not Reveal to Congress Number of Americans Killed By Iran

John Kerry

John Kerry / AP

muslim-obamaIn a series of on-the-record responses obtained exclusively by the Free Beacon, and provided in written form to Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), Kerry sidestepped the questions on all of the three separate occasions he was asked to provide the figures. The questions come as the United States prepares to unfreeze more than $100 billion in Iranian assets under the terms of the recently inked nuclear deal. Experts fear the Islamic Republic will funnel the cash windfall into its rogue terror operations and proxy groups.

Lawmakers and experts also have expressed concern about portions of the deal that will lift international sanctions on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s financial empire.

In the list of questions submitted to Kerry, Rubio asks: “How many U.S. citizens have been killed by Iran, including by Iran’s terrorist proxies, since 1979?”

The secretary of state declined to provide an answer, instead saying that the administration takes the murder of American citizens “very seriously.”Picture1

“The death of any U.S. citizen due to acts of terrorism is a tragedy that we take very seriously,” Kerry writes. “As the President said in his Aug. 5 speech, a nuclear-armed Iran is a danger to Israel, America and the world.”

“The central goal of the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] is to eliminate the imminent threat of a nuclear-armed Iran,” Kerry continued.

When asked a second time by Rubio to specify “How many U.S. troops and soldiers were killed by Iranian-provided weapons or by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Kerry said, again sidestepping the question.

“We are extraordinarily grateful for the service of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, and we mourn the loss of every service member,” Kerry writes. “The JCPOA is not about a change in the broader U.S. relationship with Iran. It is about eliminating the biggest and most imminent threat—a nuclear-armed Iran.”Lies Lies and More Lies

When separately asked to detail “how many Israelis have been killed by Iran, including by Iran’s terrorist proxies since 1979,” Kerry again declined to respond.

“The central goal of the JCPOA is to eliminate the imminent threat that Iran will acquire a nuclear weapon,” Kerry said. “But the JCPOA cannot erase decades of Iranian anti-American and anti-Israeli rhetoric and actions.”I am from the US Government Israels-Back-590-LI IranIraselNukes Israel-Tied-600-LI

A State Department official told the Free Beacon that no further information on these questions could be provided beyond what Kerry wrote.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R., Texas) told the Free Beacon that the administration’s reluctance to provide information about Iran’s efforts to kill Americans is “unconscionable.” “It is a fact that Iran is the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism and that they have killed and maimed thousands of upstanding military men and women at the hands of sheer hate,” said Gohmert, who has been a vocal critic of the Iran deal.

“It is unconscionable that the Obama administration is refusing to answer questions on just how many Americans have been killed or maimed by Iran,” the lawmaker said. “One thing we know— Iran says they will continue their efforts to destroy the United States and its people so one hundred billion dollars will allow Iran to kill and maim multiples of the numbers of Americans they already have killed and maimed, making the Obama administration knowing accessories.”ObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ART

Michael Pregent, director of the advocacy organization Veterans Against the Deal, called it shocking that the administration would not release these figures.

“We find it absurd that the Obama administration and the State Department would deny information on Iran’s direct role in the deaths of Americans in Iraq from sitting U.S. senators,” said Pregent, whose organization has released several ads highlighting Iran’s terror operations against U.S. soldiers.

“For the State Department to protect Iran by keeping information detrimental to Iran’s Quds force and [IRGC Leader] Qasem Soleimani from the American people is an affront to veterans affected by this enemy and service members currently in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Pregent said.

Recent estimates by U.S. intelligence officials put the number of American soldiers killed by Iran in Iraq and Afghanistan at around 500.

The issue of Iran’s terror funding has emerged as a key concern among critics of the nuclear accord.

A Free Beacon report revealed that Iran has been spending billions of dollars to pay the salaries of terrorists. This includes potentially millions of dollars in monthly payments to pro-government forces in Syria, more than $1 billion in military aid to fighters in Iraq, and about $20 million annually to Hamas terrorists, according to a private report commissioned by Sen. Mark Kirk (R., Ill.).

The report was assembled following a request by Kirk for the Obama administration to disclose its estimates of “Iranian military spending, as well as Iranian assistance to Houthi rebels in Yemen, Shiite militias in Iraq, the Assad government, Hezbollah, and Hamas,” according to a copy of that report.

Kerry additionally discloses in his responses to Rubio that Iran is permitted to test fire ballistic missiles under the nuclear accord. What did you say 07.jpg

“It would not be a violation of the JCPOA [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] if Iran tested a conventional ballistic missile,” Kerry disclosed in the document.

TEHRAN (FNA) – A senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Wednesday that Iran will continue boosting its military preparedness until it takes down Israel and sets Palestine free. “…they (the US and the Zionists) should know that the Islamic Revolution will continue enhancing its preparedness until it overthrows Israel and liberates Palestine,” IRGC’s top commander in Tehran province, Brigadier General Mohsen Kazzemeini, told operating units in Tharallah Drills in the Iranian capital on Wednesday.Side-Deal-600-LI

Sum 250,000 Iranian Basiji (volunteer) forces in the form of 250 battalions started massive drills in Tehran on Wednesday and Thursday to practice fighting against security threats.

In relevant remarks in 2014, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei noted that criminal acts of the wolfish and child-killer Zionist regime in Gaza had revealed its true nature, and said, “Only way to solve this problem is full annihilation and destruction of the Zionist regime.”

Obama’s 6 biggest lies about Iran nuke deal

waving flagPosted By Chuck Norris On 08/30/2015

Article printed from WND: http://www.wnd.com

URL to article: http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/obamas-6-biggest-lies-about-iran-nuke-deal

nuclear-fusion_researchPresident Obama has been campaigning for the Iran nuclear deal like he’s running for a third term. But, unfortunately, because of his naivety and lack of experience on foreign policy, he is completely wrong.

Let me highlight six Obama statements about the Iran nuclear agreement that are complete exaggerations.

ObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ART1) President Obama said, “I’ve had to make a lot of tough calls as president, but whether or not this deal is good for American security is not one of those calls. It’s not even close.”

“Not even close”?

He just said Friday, “the vast majority of experts on nuclear proliferation have endorsed this deal. The world is more or less united …”

But 200 retired generals and admirals completely disagreed as they sent a letter to Congress last week urging lawmakers to reject the Iran nuclear agreement, which they said “would threaten the national security and vital interests of the United States.”

Are we to assume that most of them are not in any respect “experts on nuclear proliferation”? And are we gullible enough to believe that the commander in chief knows more about military strategy and American security than 200 retired generals and admirals?

And what about other notable experts who disagree? As one editorial piece noted: “Michael Hayden, former CIA director; Dennis Ross, longtime Mideast negotiator; Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; David Albright, former nuclear weapons inspector and president of the Institute for Science and International Security; and Olli Heinonen, the International Atomic Energy Agency’s former deputy director general for safeguards, have all expressed reservations about the deal.”

Chuck Norris provides real solutions to our county’s problems and a way to reawaken the American dream in his best-seller, “Black Belt Patriotism.”

2) President Obama said, “Because this is such a strong deal, every nation in the world that has commented publicly – with the exception of the Israeli government – has expressed support.”

But the Wall Street Journal reported that “Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates – are just as distraught” as Israel about the Iran nuclear deal.

Mishaal al-Gergawi, managing director of the Delma Institute in Abu Dhabi and a prominent Emirati political commentator, explained: “A lot of the Gulf countries feel they are being thrown under the bus. The Gulf thought it was in a monogamous relationship with the West, and now it realizes it’s being cheated on because the U.S. was in an open relationship with it.”

Obama’s “with the exception of the Israeli government” comment is not only a ginormous snub to our greatest ally in the Middle East but an affront to the fact that Israel has been threatened repeatedly with genocide by Iranian leaders.

Jerusalem is 970 miles from Tehran, which is roughly the distance between Washington, D.C., and the islands of the Bahamas – just 50 miles off the Florida coast. If the Bahamas were a hostile state to Washington with a long history of threatening to eradicate the U.S. capital from the planet, do you think anyone in Washington would concede to give the Bahamas nuclear power?

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is absolutely right when he calls the Iran deal a grave travesty and threat for not only Israel but also a “historic mistake for the world.” He said, “The desire to sign an agreement was stronger than everything else. … Wide-ranging concessions were made in all of the areas which should have prevented Iran from getting the ability to arm itself with a nuclear weapon.”

3) The president initially said International Atomic Energy Agency, or IAEA, inspectors would be allowed to “access any suspicious location” in Iran. He then backpedaled and limited it, saying, “Inspectors will be allowed daily access to Iran’s key nuclear sites. If there is a reason for inspecting a suspicious, undeclared site anywhere in Iran, inspectors will get that access, even if Iran objects. This access can be with as little as 24 hours’ notice.”Bull

But the truth is, Obama’s “anytime, anywhere” inspections is a bunch of smoke-and-mirror sales pitches to get the American public and legislators to buy the agreement.

First, even the president confessed: “And while the process for resolving a dispute about access can take up to 24 days, once we’ve identified a site that raises suspicion, we will be watching it continuously until inspectors get in.”

However, the Wall Street Journal did an investigation into the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action released by the Obama administration and it “reveals that its terms permit Iran to hold inspectors at bay for months, likely three or more.”What did you say 04.jpg

Now, imagine what a drug dealer could do with a warning 90 days before a law-enforcement raid.

The White House noted: “Right now, Iran has nearly 20,000 centrifuges between their Natanz and Fordow facilities. But under this deal, Iran must reduce its centrifuges to 6,104 for the next ten years.”

Ten years?! That’s two-and-a-half presidential terms or cycles. And we expect the No. 1 terrorist-recruiting Islamic nation in the world to comply and not play a shell game with centrifuges over that 10-year period?

The White House again was wrong when it stated, “International inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will not only be continuously monitoring every element of Iran’s declared nuclear program, but they will also be verifying that no fissile material is covertly carted off to a secret location to build a bomb. … Basically, from the minute materials that could be used for a weapon comes out of the ground to the minute it is shipped out of the country, the IAEA will have eyes on it and anywhere Iran could try and take it.”What did you say 06.jpg

So, we are supposed to believe that, despite not being on the ground full-time, the IAEA, will be omniscient and omnipresent so as to detect any movement of any materials at any time outside the country, even though it will fight to get into the country to inspect anything in less than three months? Can you say, pipe dream?!

And if you think the preceding sounds bogus, consider that the Associated Press just discovered a “secret agreement” between the IAEA and the United Nations and reported this about the discovery: “Iran will be allowed to use its own inspectors to investigate a site it has been accused of using to develop nuclear arms, operating under a secret agreement with the U.N. agency that normally carries out such work.”

And, to add injury to insult, guess who will pay for those Iran inspectors to investigate their own nuclear facilities? You guessed: the American taxpayers have to pay more than $10 million a year.Picture2

Reuters reported, after the IAEA said it has a severe funding shortfall and would need extra monies, the U.S. mission in Vienna said in a statement: “The United States is committed to working with all (IAEA) member states to ensure the agency has the resources it needs to verify Iran’s nuclear-related commitments under the (July 14 agreement).”

The State Department echoed similar sentiment back in April: “The United States is committed to working with other IAEA member states to provide the agency the resources it needs to continue carrying out this [Joint Plan of Action]-related work.”Picture3

Imagine: Washington agreeing to force American taxpayers to pay for a rogue and terrorist-funding Islamic republic to inspect its own nuclear facilities while ignorantly hoping it doesn’t develop a nuclear bomb behind our backs. What did you say 07.jpg

We really have forgotten Sept. 11.

Write your representatives today and demand they reject the Iran nuclear agreement.

(Next week in Part 2, I will give three more examples of Obama’s misguidance and more evidence that the Iran nuclear agreement is bad news for the U.S. and world, how Iran will continue to build a nuclear bomb despite a signed agreement, and, grievous among all the fallout, even if Congress does not sign an agreement, Iran will still be rewarded with at least $50 billion and up to $150 billion additional revenue to continue to fund terrorism against Israel, the West and the U.S. And Obama agrees it is best. Yes, you read that right!)

Hamas ‘accepts terms’ of 8-year truce with Israel

hamasTEL AVIV – Hamas’ political leadership tentatively accepted the terms of an eight-year truce with Israel, according to sources within Hamas. The sources, speaking to WND from the Gaza Strip, said Israel gave support to Egypt to accept a Hamas delegation for further talks on the Out of Rocketsproposed long-term cease-fire. After discussions in Egypt, the Hamas delegation, headed by Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, will travel to Qatar and Turkey for more input on the deal, which is being brokered by former Quartet envoy and ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The Hamas sources said the current version of the truce, as accepted in theory by Hamas’s politburo, includes a Hamas pledge to stop all rocket fire from Gaza and to cease digging tunnels into Israel. Hamas-Victory-590-LI-2Hamas also agreed not to operate within 30 meters of the Israeli border, the sources said.

In return, the Hamas sources said, Israel agreed to allow thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to enter the Jewish state for work, a detail that cannot be confirmed with Israeli diplomatic sources. The Hamas sources said Israel will allow for a larger “fishing zone” off the Gaza coast along with a corridor to connect the Gaza coastline to international waters. Israel, however, would still monitor and inspect ships in the area.

Ahmed Yusef, an adviser to Haniyeh, last weekend said significant progress had been made in reaching a long-term cease-fire.

In response to the truce reports, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office released a statement to the media that “there are no meetings with Hamas. There are no direct contacts, no contacts through other countries and no contacts through intermediaries.”

hamasThe statement, however, did not confirm or deny that truce proposals are in the works.

Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported while the “denial published by the prime minister’s bureau is not false” a more complex picture emerges from conversations with a number of Israeli officials, including those involved with the issue. “Israel is not holding negotiations on a cease-fire with Hamas, but it is certainly checking the feasibility of the matter,” one of the Israeli sources told Haaretz.

As Multiple White House Lies About the Iran Deal Emerge, the Regime Unleashes Bigoted Attacks on Chuck Schumer

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH; Big news from the Middle East about the Iran deal.  It turns out that we were negotiating with the Iranians before Kerry was secretary of state. We were negotiating with the Iranians beforethe election of the “moderate”Rouhani.  We were negotiating an Iranian nuke deal with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when nobody knew what was happening.  The Regime was telling us that they couldn’t do anything ’cause Ahmadinejad was such a radical extremist goofball. We had to wait for a “moderate” to win, which was Rouhani, and after he did, that’s when we got serious.  It turns out none of that’s true. We had been negotiating with the Iranians long before then and signaling our willingness that they can nuke up.  This latest news is from MEMRI, which is a credible Middle East news source.  Details coming up.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: What the Obama administration and the Democrat Party are doing to Chuck Schumer… They are treating Chuck Schumer as though he is a Republican, ’cause he is opposed — come out opposed to — the Iran deal.  The attacks they are mounting on him are bigoted — some might even say racist or ethnic — highlighting in every report “Chuck Schumer, noted Jew,” it says in the New York Times, “Chuck Schumer, noted Jewish senator from New York,” Washington Post.

They’re saying that Schumer voted against the deal because he’s in bed with the big money Jewish lobby.  They usually reserve that for Republican Jewish people.  But Schumer is getting it all from sides, led by the White House.

BREAK TRANSCRIPTObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ART

RUSH: Let me give you the latest here on the Iran story, because this is stunning.  The American people have been lied to about another three issues regarding this deal, this so-called nuclear deal with Iran.  First, it turns out that negotiations did not start because of Iran electing a “moderate,” “some guy we could do business with,” i.e., Rouhani.  It turns out that the negotiations between the United States and Iran began when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was still president.

But we were told by the administration that there’s no way we could talk to Iran with Ahmadinejad in there because he’s a nutcase, he’s an extremist, he’s a lunatic. That was one of the excuses the Regime gave for not doing anything on Iran at that time.  And there was pressure to do something, because the news coming out of Iran was they were bragging about how much progress they were making toward the discovery, creation, development of a nuclear power.

And the Regime was saying, “We can’t talk to ’em. There is no reason to get into negotiation with this guy ’cause he’s such a madman.  We have to wait for them to have their next presidential election. Hopefully they’ll elect a moderate,” which they did. There’s no such thing, by the.  This is another thing.  There’s no such thing as a “moderate” Iranian leader, and there’s no such thing as a “conservative” Iranian cleric.  The guy that runs Iran is the supreme leader.

His name is the Ayatollah Khamenei, and he is the heir to the first Ayatollah Khomeini.  They spell their names differently.  One is K-h-o, that would be the original Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and this guy spells his name with an A, other than that they’re identical.  Anyway, he is the supreme leader, and whoever the “president” is a figurehead. Whoever the president is has to clear everything with the supreme leader.

The supreme leader is the genuine radical that runs this country and is state sponsor of terrorism all over the Middle East and parts of the world.  The guy leading the chants “Death to America!” is the supreme leader, and he’s standing there with his Kalashnikov while doing it. He’s written a book on how to trick and how to fool the US and how they’re gonna wipe out Israel, after the deal has been effected between us, the other five nations, and Iran.

So who their “president” is matters not in terms of what the policy of the country is going to be.  It is a genuine theological, religious dictatorship, and it’s run by the mullahs.  The Ayatollah Khamenei has his buddy ayatollahs, and they make up the supreme leadership council.  But the president is merely an office for the rest of the world to observe and think that Iran’s just like every other country.

“It has an elected president! It has a parliament! It’s a democratic process!” None of that is true.  So the idea that we had to wait for Ahmadinejad to go? Why do you think they got rid of Ahmadinejad?  Why do we even get Rouhani in the first place? Isn’t it amazing that we’re sitting around waiting for a “moderate,” and they deliver one?  How’s that happen?  They got rid of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because the guy was too open and honest about what the intentions of the extreme leader are.

Every time he opened his mouth, it was “Death to America! Death to Israel!” There was no Holocaust, whatever was it. Every time he opened his mouth.  He made it tough for the supreme leader to put forth the false image that Iran is a moderate, harmless country simply wanting to move into the twenty-first century.  So Obama says, “Well, we can’t negotiate with some nutcase like that!  We gotta wait for a moderate.”

Bammo! They give us Rouhani as a moderate, we start negotiate — the point is we were negotiating with Ahmadinejad, because whenever you’re negotiating with your negotiating with supreme leader.  Negotiating with the Ayatollah Khamenei.  There isn’t a single one of these people over there can make a deal or any agreement within a deal without the approval of the Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader.

Now, the second thing we were lied about, even before the negotiations began, is John Kerry — who was a senator at the time — acting on Obama’s orders, had already recognized Iran’s right to enrich uranium on their own soil.  This was known and reported all the way back in 2007.  I think it is huge, because the United States has been trying for more than a decade to make Iran stop its uranium enrichment program.  That involved the centrifuges and all that.

It turns out even before he was secretary of state, Senator John Kerry, as emissary of the Regime, green-lighted Iran’s right to go ahead and enrich uranium on their own soil.  Now, the entire purpose… To illustrate the focus or the magnitude of this lie, the entire purpose of the economic sanctions that we slapped on Iran was to get them to stop their enrichment.  Not only were the sanctions designed to get them to stop, they were designed to prevent them from being able to.

Because with the sanctions in place, they wouldn’t have the money, the capital, or access to materiel that they needed in order to move forward.  And yet all of it did move forward while we had sanctions placed on them, while Ahmadinejad was the president — who we said we couldn’t negotiate with, who we said we couldn’t negotiate with.  By the way, it’s been reported by that great Middle Eastern news service, MEMRI, M-E-M-R-I. All of this was a charade.  The third thing, the third lie, third issue we were lied to about.

The Iranians are already pumping and selling their oil like crazy.  Now, the Obama administration claims that sanctions are not yet been lifted on Iran as it relates to their oil.  MEMRI is the Middle East Media Research Institute.  The headline of the story: “Iranian Senior Officials Disclose Confidential Details From Nuclear Negotiations.”  So the source for all this is a bunch of braggadocios Iranians who feel that it’s apparently okay now ’cause the deal’s done and Obama’s on his way to making sure the world and everybody else ratifies this thing.

“Iranian officials recently began to reveal details from the nuclear negotiations with the US since their early stages. Their statements indicate that the US initiated secret negotiations with Iran not after President Hassan Rohani, [supposedly] of the pragmatic camp, was elected in 2013, but rather in 2011-2012, in the era of radical president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.”  Again, folks, there’s no difference in the two.  Don’t doubt me on this.  Because whoever’s “president” is nothing more than a placeholder.

muslim-obamaHe’s a public figurehead that’s designed to create or produce or present an image of Iran as your normal, everyday, run-of-the-mill nation that has a president, has a parliament, that has elections and so forth.  “The disclosures also indicate that, already at that time, Iran received from the US administration a letter recognizing its right to enrich uranium on its own soil,” while we supposedly had sanctions in place.  President Barack Obama has wanted Iran to be able to move forward on their nuclear program.

He made it possible for this to happen even while sanctions were supposedly in place.  “Hossein Sheikh Al-Islam, an advisor to the Majlis speaker, specified that the letter had come from John Kerry, then a senator and head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Iranian vice president and top negotiator Ali Akbar Salehi said that Kerry, while still a senator, had been appointed by President Obama to handle the nuclear contacts with Iran.” Kerry was assuring the Iranians they had the right to enrich uranium on their soil since 2007.

Now, what’s happening here is Chuck Schumer has come out in opposition to the deal, and the administration is unloading on him.  The administration and its buddies in the media are unloading on Chuck Schumer.  They accuse him… Washington Post, New York Times, they accuse him of being “a Jew who is in bed with the Jewish lobby, wealthy interests.” All of the code words it had usually use to attack conservatives they are using here to attack Chuck Schumer.

James Taranto, Best of the Web, Wall Street Journal:  “Bigotry, Pure and Simple — The ugly attacks on Senator Chuck Schumer.”  Now, say what you want, Senator Chuck Schumer is getting a taste of his own tactics.  I mean, he’s not a stranger to these tactics.  He has used them himself.  I just find it fascinating he’s on the receiving end of them now.  And, by the way, other Jewish members of Congress are also getting to one degree or another the same kind of treatment as Chuck-U Schumer is getting from the administration, from the Regime.

Basically the attacks are all, “He’s not a loyal American! He’s a Jew first!  He’s an Israeli Jew and he’s supporting the Jewish lobby.”  It’s despicable.  It really is.  It’s the kind of stuff that when a conservative Republican comes out and supports Israel, that’s the kind of stuff they say about him.  And now they’re accusing Chuck Schumer, but it goes worse than that.  Now they’ve got McCain coming out, actively opposing this deal for his own reasons.  McCain is saying the Senate is not gonna pass this; the Senate is not gonna make this reality.

Obama is saying, “I don’t need you! I already got the UN. It’s gonna happen. I don’t care. You guys are just exercising your own folly here.  I don’t need you guys to vote for this.  It’s already a done deal.”  I gotta tell you, like I said yesterday, I really misjudged this whole Schumer thing.  I thought that Schumer coming out for the deal meant that they had enough Democrat votes to pass this thing and that Schumer could thus vote against it and remain loyal to his base in New York.

Which, in majority (I guess) position opposes the deal.  But it turns out that’s not the case.  It turns out his opposition to it is real and substantive, and it’s extensively documented and written.  But I tell you, folks, this is the kind of in-the-weeds stuff that I know that the low-information crowd couldn’t care less about; they’re not gonna understand it when they hear it.

But it’s huge, to me, the things that we’ve been lied to about and the objective that these lies reveal. All along we have been facilitating Iran’s quest? All along we have been helping them make it possible?  It now puts… You know, people have analyzed the deal and said, “Yeah, Iran’s gonna get a deal in two years, 10 years.” It all makes sense now.

RUSH: Stan in Winlock, Washington.  Great to have you on the program Stan.  Hello, sir.

CALLER:  Hello and thank you very much for taking my call.  I’ll get right to my point.  I think Obama’s brilliant.  He put Israel in a no-win situation when he got the UN to approve the Iran nuke deal.  If Israel unilaterally destroys Iran’s nuke capability, it will be condemned by the UN and they become the outlaw nation, not Iran.  If Israel does nothing, Iran gets the bomb and Israel is toast.  And all this was done while framing himself as seeking peace.

RUSH:  Let my let me ask you a question, and I’m not per se disagreeing with that other than your claim that Obama’s brilliant.  He may be a brilliant deceitful political tactician. Do you think Israel cares? On one hand, Israel destroyed and vaporized.  On the other hand, the UN thinks Israel is mean.  Which do you think they would choose?

CALLER:  Oh, I think they have no choice.  I think they will react militarily.

RUSH:  Well, do you know that Obama has told them that we will stop them if this try to do that?  Do you know that in this deal in the United States and the other negotiating partners promise to protect Iran against such an Israeli attack?

CALLER:  Yeah, and supposedly Obama’s saying there won’t be any war but Israel’s already said that they will have no choice.

RUSH:  No, no.

CALLER:  They have to defend themselves.

RUSH:  Obama said there would be a war if we don’t approve the deal.  Oh, really?  Well, who’s gonna start that war?  There won’t be a war if there…? There will be a war if there isn’t a deal?  How does that work?  If that’s the case, who starts that war?  It must be the Ayatollah Khamenei ticked off you can’t get his nuclear power.  Who would start that? If there is no deal, it guarantees a war?  This is what Obama said.  It’s a classic Obama tactic.  “You either take my way or it’s Armageddon!”Alinsky affect

On either health care or economy, the stimulus. Now the Iran deal. Whatever it is, “It’s either my way or it’s the end of the world! It’s either my way or hell! It’s either my way or the worst that can possibly happen.”  He always creates a straw dog.  And, by the way, there are always people, in Obama’s worldview, who want the worst that can happen.  In this case, it would be Benjamin Netanyahu.  His straw dog or straw man always has people who represent the evil that he says would naturally occur if his way doesn’t happen.  Stan, I appreciate the call.

GOP candidates battle to stake their positions in first 2016 debate

waving flagPublished August 07, 2015; FoxNews.com

From fiery criticism of ObamaCare and the Iran nuclear deal to support for Israel and the rights of the unborn, the top 10 Republican presidential candidates did all they could to define and separate themselves Thursday night during the Fox News debate in Cleveland, Ohio.

The governors on stage, notably John Kasich of Ohio and Scott Walker of Wisconsin, touted their economic records. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz vowed to scrap the Iran deal. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson reminded voters in his closing remarks of the professional background that separates him from the rest: “I’m the only one to separate Siamese twins.”

Throughout the debate, Donald Trump was the unrivaled lightning rod, but the prime-time showdown made clear he’s not the only fighter on the stage – or in the race.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie reclaimed his reputation as a tough-talking executive, blasting his rivals for their positions on domestic surveillance and entitlements. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul traded barbs with several candidates, including Christie.

Meanwhile, one-time front-runner former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush found himself on defense several times and largely avoided tangling with Trump on the Fox News/Facebook stage.

Perhaps the most fiery moment came in an exchange between Christie and Paul. Long-simmering tension between the two exploded when Christie stood by his criticism of the senator for opposing NSA bulk collection of Americans’ phone data.

Paul said he’s “proud of standing for the Bill of Rights,” but Christie called his stance “completely ridiculous” – suggesting he wants to cherry-pick only some data.

“When you’re sitting in the subcommittee just blowing hot air about this, you can say things like that,” Christie said.

Paul fired back: “I know you gave [President Obama] a big hug, and if you want to give him a big hug again, go ahead.” Christie said the hugs he gave were to the families of 9/11 victims, and then accused Paul of playing “politics,” by using videos of floor speeches to raise money.

The exchange was striking, even in a debate that was tense from the start. Though several rivals stood out, Trump did not hold his fire, either – making clear he’s not softening his approach to campaigning as he picks up steam in the polls.

If anything, the debate signaled the primary race is about to get tougher and is still wide open as 17 candidates vie for the lead with months to go until the opening contests.

Trump, the billionaire businessman front-runner, sparred at the outset of the debate with Paul after refusing to pledge to support the eventual GOP nominee if it’s not him and to swear off an independent run.

“I will not make the pledge at this time,” Trump said.

Paul accused him of “hedging his bet on the Clintons.”

“He’s already hedging his bets, because he’s used to buying politicians,” Paul said. (Trump later acknowledged he gave money to the Clintons and demanded Hillary Clinton “be at my wedding” in exchange; he called this a sign of a broken system.)

Trump also stood firm on his vow to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. “If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t even be talking about illegal immigration,” Trump said, blasting “stupid leaders” in the U.S. harboring illegal immigrants.

Bush said a comprehensive solution is needed, including a “path to earned legal status,” which he said is not “amnesty.”

Moments later, Cruz said some on stage support “amnesty”, while he does not.

A big question going into the debate was whether Bush would aggressively challenge Trump and try to knock him off his perch.

But he would only go so far as to question Trump’s tone, calling his language “divisive.” Hours before the debate, Politico ran a story saying Bush recently told a donor he thinks Trump is a “buffoon” and a “clown.” Asked about that report on stage, Bush denied it.

“It’s not true,” Bush said.

Trump then called Bush a “true gentleman.”

As for his tone, Trump said it’s “medieval times” in the Middle East, and, “We don’t have time for tone.”

But other candidates were able to stand out on the crowded stage. Carson called Hillary Clinton the “epitome” of the progressive movement.

“She counts on the fact that people are uninformed. The Alinsky model, taking advantage of useful idiots,” he said.

Walker also blasted the Iran nuclear deal, as did other candidates: “This is not just bad with Iran, this is bad with ISIS, it is tied together and once and for all we need a leader who is going to do something about it. It is yet another example of the failed foreign policy of the Obama-Clinton doctrine.”

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio landed laughs when, upon being asked about his faith in God, he said: “I think God has blessed us, he’s blessed the Republican Party with some very good candidates. The Democrats can’t even find one.”

Rubio also vowed to repeal and replace ObamaCare, and called the lack of accountability after the Veterans Affairs scandal “outrageous.”

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee vowed to defend entitlements and stood his ground on social issues. He blasted Planned Parenthood and defended his pro-life views, accusing abortion providers of “selling” fetal parts “like they’re parts to a Buick.”

Kasich, like Walker and Bush, tried to keep the focus on his record in his state.

“America is a miracle country and we have to restore the sense that the miracle will apply to you,” he said.

And Cruz vowed, if elected, to prosecute Planned Parenthood, cancel the Iran nuclear deal and nix Obama’s executive orders. “I believe the American people are looking for someone to speak the truth,” he said.

Trump was challenged several times on his conservative views. He previously was pro-choice, but said he’s “evolved” on the issue.

Also, under questioning from moderator Megyn Kelly about past disparaging comments he made about women, Trump interrupted to say, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.” He then said, “Honestly, Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry.”

The candidates squared off at the second of two kick-off debates, hosted by Fox News and Facebook in conjunction with the Ohio Republican Party.

The seven other Republican hopefuls spent much of the first debate doing their best to hammer home the message that Clinton represents four more years of Obama. In the earlier debate, the candidates largely avoided sparring with each other and instead trained their fire on the Obama years — with promises to roll back ObamaCare and undo the Iran nuclear deal.

During the Fox News GOP debate Thursday, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee stated, “The military is not a social experiment.” Huckabee continued, “The purpose of the military is kill people and break things. It’s not to transform the culture by trying out some ideas that some people think would make us a different country and more diverse. The purpose is to protect America. I’m not sure how paying for transgender surgery for soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines makes our country safer.”

Fiorina stands out in Republican ‘happy hour’ debate

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina stood out Thursday in the first GOP primary debate, taking shots at Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton while showing off her foreign policy acumen.

Fiorina, the only woman among the 17 Republican candidates taking part in Thursday’s two debates, shined as the seven candidates who didn’t make the Republican top 10 squared off in a 5 p.m. undercard.

Minutes into what’s being called the happy hour debate, she took a shot at GOP front-runner Donald Trump for his connections to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“I didn’t get a phone call from Bill Clinton before I jumped in the race. Did any of you get a phone call from Bill Clinton? I didn’t,” Fiorina said, referencing reports that Trump spoke with Bill Clinton ahead of his presidential launch.

“Maybe it’s because I haven’t given money to the foundation or donated to his wife’s Senate campaign,” she added.

Fiorina further highlighted Trump’s policy inconsistencies, an attack that may return in the 9 p.m. debate.

“I would also just say this. Since he has changed his mind on amnesty, on healthcare and on abortion, I would just ask, what are the principles by which he will govern?” Fiorina asked.

Fiorina outlined an ambitious agenda for her first days in office if she were to become president. She would call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Iranian supreme leader to express displeasure with the agreement, she said, then on the second day, she’d convene a summit at Camp David with Arab allies.

Fiorina, who has often been discussed as a possible vice presidential candidate for her party, closed her performance by taking a shot at Hillary Clinton, the Democratic front-runner for that party’s presidential nomination.

She criticized Clinton for dodging questions on topics including the 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead.

“We need a nominee who is going to throw every punch, not pull punches,” Fiorina said.

Google reported that Fiorina was the most searched candidate during the early debate, and she also received the most Twitter chatter.

Pundits also gave her good reviews, with Washington Post columnist George Will saying she “stood out with precision and fluency,” and Fox News host Chris Wallace also praising her.

Fox News pundit Charles Krauthammer said she won the debate “going away.”

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry also maintained a steady performance throughout the debate, using his time on stage to tout his state’s economic performance and calling for the Iran nuclear deal negotiated by President Obama to be torn up.

It was a much stronger performance for Perry than four years ago, when his first presidential campaign quickly came crashing down after he was heard saying “oops,” when he forgot that he wanted to abolish the Department of Education in response to a debate question.

But Perry also seemed to boost Fiorina, by at one point suggesting she should have negotiated the Iran deal on behalf of the U.S. instead of Secretary of State John Kerry.

“I would whole lot rather have Carly Fiorina over there doing our negotiation than John Kerry. Maybe we would have gotten a deal where we didn’t give everything away,” Perry said.

Fiorina has not been shy about going after Clinton, whose allies quickly fired back on Thursday.

“Carly Fiorina sure seemed to like Hillary Clinton back when she spoke before the Clinton Global Initiative,” Correct the Record spokeswoman Mary Jennings said.

Correct the Record is a rapid-response organization allied with Clinton.

“In reality, Fiorina is just another cookie-cutter, out-of-touch far-right Republican — holding the same out-of-date positions as all the rest on stage, and willing to take shots at the positive, philanthropic work of others.”

The seven candidates for the initial debate performed before a mostly empty auditorium; tickets were not sold for the undercard to the 9 p.m. debate.

The Fox News hosts moderating the debate, Martha MacCallum and Bill Hemmer, essentially asked each candidate at the beginning why anyone should take them seriously.

MacCallum and Hemmer asked Perry why he’s ready to lead the country now after his failed 2012 bid; whether Fiorina comparing herself to Margaret Thatcher is “a stretch;” if former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum’s moment had “passed;” and why Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal should be president given his low popularity in his home state.

The seven underdogs spared each other from criticism, but aimed fire at two Republicans who will be on the prime-time stage: Trump and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

Under questioning from the moderators, Jindal criticized Kasich for expanding Medicaid in Ohio under ObamaCare.

“I don’t think anybody should expand Medicaid,” said Jindal, who rejected the Medicaid expansion in his state. “I think it was a mistake to expand Medicaid everywhere, in Ohio and across the country.”

Kasich stands out among the Republican presidential candidates for accepting the expansion. Under ObamaCare, states have the choice of expanding eligibility for Medicaid, the government health insurance program for the poor, up to 138 percent of the poverty level.Complete Message

Former New York Gov. George Pataki sided with Jindal.

“I don’t think you expand entitlements when so many people are dependent on government,” he said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who appeared loose and open in a New Hampshire forum earlier this week, seemed tense at the start of Thursday’s debate and rambled on an answer about Clinton’s comment that she and her husband were “dead broke” when they left the White House.

But near the end of the debate, Graham shared a compelling story of depending on Social Security after his parents died.

“Today I’m 60. I’m not married, I don’t have any kids. I would give up some Social Security to save the system that Americans are going to depend on now and in the future,” Graham said.

The Democratic National Committee panned the debate as a repeat of GOP candidates who ran for president four years ago.

“They are outdated, out of touch and out of line, but not out of company. If you missed the pre-show, these ideas will be on full display again in a few hours,” DNC spokeswoman Holly Shulman said in a statement.

Jesse Byrnes and Peter Sullivan contributed.

Gaza 2014: International media in the service of Hamas

Skewed reporting and newsroom bias served the interests of the Hamas propaganda machine.

Media For Hamas
On August 2, 2014, in the middle of the Gaza conflict, we ran the A.F. Branco cartoon that is the featured image to this post. It’s a fitting occasion to revisit the media bias that frames the international view of the 2014 Gaza conflict, as the fourth in our series looking back at our coverage. Our first three posts were:

As before, we are focusing on revisiting our contemporaneous coverage.

The international media is extremely sensitive to discussions of its bias, so much so that when, in June of 2015, the Israeli Foreign Ministry produced a comical short cartoon video poking fun at international media bias, the international media blew a gasket. The Foreign Ministry took down the video, though it was captured by others:

vid01

Was this unfair to the international media?

No, it was very fair, though overly simplified (just like the media’s coverage of Gaza). Our posts from the summer of 2014 reflected the media bias.

In that conflict, the media played a key role in covering up Hamas use of civilians as shields:

For example, this tweet exposing Hamas’ use of Gaza’s main hospital, Al-Shifa, was deleted:

nick casey deleted tweet

As was this article by a Palestinian journalist about his interrogation down the hall from the operating room in the same hospital:

Liberation Magazine You must leave Gaza Shifa Hospital removed

Liberation Magazine You must leave Gaza Shifa Hospital

Hamas bragged about its intimidation of reporters:

Hamas Spokeswoman Intimidate Reporters Gaza

This Finnish reporter accurately reported rocket fire from near Al-Shifa, but then complained when people reported about her report.

http://youtu.be/Nu-e5qWXx-k

It is noteworthy that although there is a mountain of evidence of Hamas using hospitals as cover, this Finnish reporter was the only, or one of the only, to do a broadcast from the location.

Another reporter disclosed how Hamas staged a blast scene it caused to make it appear Israel was at fault — but he only made the disclosure, in his words, when he was out of Gaza and far away from Hamas:

tw01

CAMERA discovered a Wall Street Journal reporter coming to the same conclusion as the Italian reporter, but then deleting the tweet:

wsj tamer el-ghobashy deleted tweet

The reporter later claimed he deleted it because it was speculative.

And that’s how it went. Key disclosures were not made, or deleted. An those that were made, were made only after reporters left Gaza. But by that time the narrative set by Hamas through the media had been set.

For example, this report by NDTV was released only after its reporters left Gaza:

vid02

And that was the problem.

It’s not that there was zero reporting, it’s that Hamas intimidation of reporters made such reporting the exception, rather than the rule, and pushed that reporting to an after-thought.

tw02

In an after-assessment, the Foreign Press Association in Israel (and not an organization that shrinks from criticizing Israel) decried Hamas’ “blatant, incessant, forceful and unorthodox methods” to intimidate journalists.

The result was an almost total lack of on-the-ground media coverage of Hamas’ war crimes, with the coverage of casualties caused by Israeli responses to Hamas rocket fire.

Without the first part of the equation — the use of civilians and civilian structures — the second part of the equation was out of context. It allowed anti-Israel propagandists to make ridiculous claims that Israel deliberately tried to kill civilians.

Reporting from Gaza thus served a critical role in the Hamas propaganda machine.  An al-Jazeera reporter was so valued by Hamas that when the final ceasefire was announced, he was lifted on shoulders in thanks:

vid03

The role of reporters on the ground was amplified by more traditional media bias against Israel in the form of selective framing of the conflict, including unquestioning acceptance of Hamas casualty reports claiming few military combatant deaths.

So yes, the international media did serve a critical role in the Hamas war machine.  International pressure resulting from civilian casualties is a critical part of the Hamas war plan, but reporting how Hamas was responsible for the casualties by hiding behind and among civilians would harm the narrative. And reporters, and the media generally, thereby became complicit.

What Obama just did is UNFORGIVABLE. (Hint: it’s 7 letters)

waving flagWritten by Allen West on August 5, 2015

Obama-sinister
If there is one thing absolutely true about the liberal progressive left, it is the fact that they hate the truth, and will doggedly attack anyone using it against them. Truth The New Hate Speech

We are watching the left do its darndest to defend the indefensible, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) — always beware when politicians use the word “comprehensive” — which is the official name of the Iranian nuclear agreement. Funny thing, it says “joint,” but the Iranians are telling the Americans we cannot take part in the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) inspections — and it has been revealed that there are secret side deals between the IAEA and Iran. The Iranian emissary to the IAEA stated that the terms will not be disclosed to any other country — so much for “joint.”Party of Deciet and lies

And the left is all in an apoplectic uproar because Senator Ted Cruz called out President Obama on the Iranian deal. As reported by Politico, “According to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran is essentially financing terrorism. And he’s not backing down after the president called his comments “outrageous.”

“If this deal is consummated, it will make the Obama administration the world’s leading financier of radical Islamic terrorism,” Cruz said during a round table [last] Tuesday. “Billions of dollars under control of this administration will flow into the hands of jihadists who will use that money to murder Americans, to murder Israelis, to murder Europeans.” muslim-obama

What I find “outrageous” is that President Barack Obama would refer to Senator Cruz’s assertion as “outrageous”. So what DO you call it when you are the president of America and you threaten a veto against the U.S. Congress if it does not consent to the JCPOA that releases billions of dollars to the world’s number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism?

I know, we just have to sit back and allow the Emperor — who truly has no clothes — do whatever he wishes, including funding a militant Islamic theocratic regime that chants “Death to America?” I know, all my leftist supporters believe Iran and the ayatollahs are just kidding.Indenification of Obama

And why take the word of Senator Cruz, or even someone like myself who has been in Iraq and Afghanistan and knows the terrorist support and influences of Iran? Nah, my assessment is worthless in light of Barack Obama and all his vast experience in Middle East community organizing.

However, what about the word of someone who has intimate knowledge of the terrorist activity and support of Iran against our men and women in the Middle East? Now, in full disclosure, the person to whom I am referring was once a Commanding Officer of mine in the 4th Infantry Division when I was an Artillery Battalion commander.

As written in the Weekly Standard by Lieutenant General Michael Barbero (US Army, Retired), “One man was responsible for the deaths or injuries of thousands of American soldiers in Iraq. That same man is responsible for sowing sectarian conflict today in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. And yet, in the nuclear deal with Iran, this man, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force, Major General Qassem Suleimani, will have sanctions lifted against him. Indeed, he will receive a large infusion of cash to wreak more havoc and terror. Obama Muslim collection

Having served in Iraq, having experienced first-hand his proxy operations against American forces, and having lost men to Gen. Suleimani’s terror operations, I find this offensive. Preventing a nuclear Iran is a critical national security objective. We should seize any real chance of achieving this goal diplomatically. Whether the agreement negotiated in Vienna, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), will keep nuclear weapons out of Iranian hands is a question that should be vigorously debated.

But it is appalling that we would agree to lift sanctions on a known terrorist in pursuit of this nuclear deal. President Obama claims to be under no illusions about the Iranian regime and its murderous activities. Even in defending the JCPOA, he has admitted that, “we’ll still have problems with Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism: its funding of proxies like Hezbollah that threaten Israel and threaten the region, the destabilizing activities that they’re engaging in, including in places like Yemen.” Behind all these problems stands one organization, and behind that organization, one man. Within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Quds Force is responsible for special operations, including training, arming, and giving instructions to the terrorists, insurgents, and proxies that Iran uses to spread chaos across the Middle East. The head of the Quds Force is Major General Qassem Suleimani.

Shortly after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the Quds Force mobilized and trained Shiite militias within Iraq for the purpose of killing Americans. This proxy campaign against United States forces was abetted by a particularly lethal weapon: explosively formed projectiles (EFPs). A form of roadside bomb with a sophisticated triggering mechanism and the ability to penetrate American armor, EFPs were estimated to account for 20 percent of U.S. deaths. And they came from only one place. “We knew where all the factories were in Iran.” General Stanley McChrystal, then head of the Joint Special Operations Command, told the New Yorker. “The E.F.P.s killed hundreds of Americans.”

I’ve spoken about the EFPs previously in interviews and on this website. So I must ask, what part of President Barack Obama financing Islamic terrorism do you NOT understand? What is confusing about what LTG Barbero just stated? If anyone knows, LTG Barbero does, because he served 46 months over three combat tours in Iraq, including serving as the senior operations officer in Iraq during the surge. And LTG Barbero also served as the Commanding General of JIEDDO (Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization). So if there’s anyone who knows the IEDs and from whence they come, it is my former Assistant Division Commander, LTG Barbero. Then again, why listen to him, especially when you have General Valerie Jarrett and all her vast experience in combat operations and the Iranian influence — the country of her birth.

If you want to draw a parallel, consider the Iranian Quds force the same as the Nazi SS during World War II. They are just that vicious and murderous, devoid of any sense of humanity. This is the organization which will be the recipient of Obama’s billions of dollars of goodwill. And please, again, do not give me the surrender monkey song about the only other alternative is war. Guess what Einsteins? Iran and the Quds force have been at war with America, and as LTG Barbero states, 20 percent of US deaths in Iraq came at the hands of Iran — chances are thousands were maimed.against America

So to all the liberal progressive leftists, take your unrighteous indignation elsewhere. Senator Ted Cruz was correct in his assertion and I know that facts and truth are to liberal progressives as sunlight is to vampires. However, it is time we stop trying to create some fantasy world surrounding this abhorrent acquiescence called the JCPOA.

ObamabotBarack Obama has signed an agreement with the same folks responsible for the deaths and maiming of Americans. Iran has continued to state that nothing changes in their relationship and position towards the United States. Perhaps those inane Hollywood talking heads who were mouthpieces for Obama and this Iranian agreement should visit one of the families who lost their loved ones to an Iranian EFP. Look into the eyes of the children who lost a mom or dad and tell them, we need to release billions of dollars to the crazed clerics in black robes.Obamabot Army

You want to know what is truly “outrageous?” The fact that the President of the United States is more concerned about his insidious and delusional legacy than honoring the men and women who carry the scars or lost their lives because of Iran. Yes, he is content to allow this to happen.

The U.S .Code refers to actions of aiding and abetting the enemy, as well as providing material support and comfort…releasing billions of dollars in unfrozen assets to Iran is in complete violation of U.S. Code. Iran is the enemy and Obama is financing the enemy. I know what that’s called. Do you?freedom combo 2

Obama Admits Lifting Sanctions Against Iran Will Help Regime Fund Terror

waving flagby Jordan Schachtel24 Jul 2015Washington, DC

Suicide-USA-NRD-600President Barack Obama admitted Friday that the Iran deal, which allows Tehran to access an estimated $100-150 billion dollars in frozen assets, would let the theocratic regime better finance terrorist organizations.

In attempting to defend the Iran deal, Obama told the BBC Friday that terror groups already have access to advanced weaponry, and that the nuclear accord would not change that dynamic too much. “Hezbollah for example, threatening to fire missiles at Israel, has no shortage of resources,” he said. “We have seen that even in times of distress, Iran is able to allocate resources in what it sees as its strategic priority.” IranIraselNukes

The President said that a “military option” is still available.

“Iran has proven that it is willing to change its priorities and its strategy,” Mr. Obama added. “We have sent a clear message to the Iranians – though we closed the deal, we still have not closed account. I hope that solutions will be reached diplomatically, but if necessary, there is also a military option.”

Iran has admitted that the regime funds and arms terrorist groups throughout the Middle East, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthi insurgency in Yemen.

Separately, rumors surfaced Friday in Arabic media that the administration is considering removing a prominent Iran-backed Shiite militia from the U.S. list of recognized terrorist groups.muslim-obama

Recent remarks by Secretary of Defense Ash Carter during a visit to Baghdad on Thursday added fuel to the rumors spreading on the coming possibility of a U.S. de facto alliance with the Shiite militias.

Boehner vows fight to scuttle Iran nuclear deal

waving flagPublished July 22, 2015, FoxNews.com

House Speaker John Boehner vowed Wednesday to do “everything possible” to stop the newly struck Iran nuclear deal, as Congress formally begins consideration of the hard-fought pact. “While the president’s Iran deal may have been applauded at the United Nations, I think he faces serious skepticism here at home,” Boehner told reporters at a briefing. “Let me just assure you that members of Congress will ask much tougher questions this afternoon when we meet with the president’s team, because a bad deal threatens the security of the American people.”Suicide-USA-NRD-600

The warning comes just days after the U.N. Security Council endorsed the deal, over the objections of many in Congress. Republicans, and some Democrats, had wanted the administration to wait until Congress reviews it before seeking approval from the United Nations.  Congress nevertheless will have its say. Fox News has learned the administration formally sent the deal to Capitol Hill on Sunday — this starts a 60-day clock for lawmakers to consider it, and then vote to approve or disapprove it or take no action.

The White House has launched an aggressive campaign in recent days, trying to sway wavering Democrats while publicly ripping Republicans for opposing the deal. In an appearance on “The Daily Show” Tuesday, Obama portrayed the controversial deal as the best compromise the government could achieve. In a jab at the George W. Bush administration, he joked that his critics think if only former Vice President Dick Cheney had been on the U.S. negotiating team, “then everything would be fine.” IranKerry

But Congress is facing pressure from both sides of the issue. While the White House lobbies for approval, Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer, a foe of the Iran nuclear, is telling Republicans that Congress must stop the pact. IranIraselNukes

Dermer met Wednesday morning with some 30 to 40 Republicans — part of the Conservative Opportunity Society — at the invitation of Rep. Steve King of Iowa, the group’s chairman. Dermer told the group that Congress is the last backstop and no deal is better than a bad deal.

The U.N. action would not take effect for 90 days. Congress technically has limited leverage over the international aspects of the agreement. Still, Obama does not want Congress to kill any part of the deal, and has vowed to veto any such effort. The agreement itself would roll back sanctions in exchange for limits on Iran’s nuclear program, with the ultimate goal of blocking Tehran’s pathway to a nuclear weapon for as long as the deal’s in place. Deflated Diplomacy

Critics argue that Iran could still be well-positioned to pursue a nuclear weapon after a decade, all the while reaping billions in economic benefits. Further, they’re concerned the deal gives Iran too much leeway to stall when international inspectors want to visit suspected nuclear sites.

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Kan., said in a statement Tuesday that they learned from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that two “side deals” between Iran and the IAEA will remain secret from Congress and the public.  According to the lawmakers, one agreement covers inspection of the Parchin military complex, and the other concerns potential military aspects of Iran’s nuclear program. On the former, they said, Iran would be able to strike a separate arrangement with the IAEA concerning inspections at Parchin.

“In failing to secure the disclosure of these secret side deals, the Obama administration is asking Congress and the American people to trust, but not verify,” Cotton said in a statement. “What we cannot do is trust the terror-sponsoring, anti-American, outlaw regime that governs Iran and that has been deceiving the world on its nuclear weapons work for years.” Missing-Piece-600-LI

‘Terrible’ Iran Deal Makes Israeli Strike Inevitable

waving flagby Joel B. Pollak14 Jul 2015

The nuclear deal reached with Iran on Tuesday is clouded by uncertainty about whether the Iranian regime will live up to its relatively weak commitments. One outcome is almost certain, however: Israel will launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran, hoping to weaken the regime and stop, or slow, its nuclear program.

Israel will attack–possibly by year’s end–because there is no other way to disrupt Iran’s advance to regional hegemony, which will become unstoppable once the deal’s provisions–especially the non-nuclear provisions–begin to take effect. Despite what the Obama administration and its media supporters are saying, there is almost no doubt that the Iran deal, should it survive Congress, will enable Iran to become a nuclear power.

President Barack Obama himself admitted as much in April, when he defended the provisional deal signed in Lausanne by admitting it allowed Iran to reach “breakout” shortly after the ten-year (now eight-year) expiration date. The only question is whether Iran will move that date forward and risk the meager diplomatic consequences of breaking the deal.IranIraselNukes

There are Israeli analysts–a minority–who believe that Israel can live in the shadow of a nuclear-armed Iran, at least for a while. After all, Israel has developed a lethal “second-strike” capacity, in the form of nuclear missiles aboard Dolphin-class submarines programmed to target Iran. That leaves the Iranian regime to weigh the odds of surviving an Israeli counterattack versus the chances of causing the end of the world as they know it. From a fanatical religious perspective, it is a win-win scenario–but cooler, or less pious, heads may prevail.

The problem is that the Iran deal goes so much further than the nuclear issue alone. The Iranians shrewdly bargained for a host of late concessions: an end to the international arms embargo, the lifting of a ban on ballistic missile technology, and an accelerated schedule of sanctions relief that will pour over $100 billion into depleted Iranian coffers. The regime knew that Obama would not walk away–that he had committed his political career to a deal, and he was already dismissing all other alternatives, severely undermining his own leverage.

Israel just might find a way to live with a nuclear Iran, but it cannot live with a nuclear Iran and an array of turbo-charged Iranian proxies on its borders.

Iran has already renewed its support for Palestinian terror groups in Gaza, and the U.S. has quietly allowed Iranian-backed Hezbollah to regroup in Lebanon, even as it has been weakened by losses in the Syrian civil war. Flush with cash, armed with advanced new weapons, and perhaps equipped with nuclear contaminants, these groups will pose an ever-greater threat to Israel’s security–and soon.

That is why the alternative that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented to Congress–and he did present an alternative to the present deal, though Obama pretended not to notice–included three provisions:

  • “first, stop its aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East;
  • second, stop supporting terrorism around the world;
  • and third, stop threatening to annihilate my country, Israel–the one and only Jewish state.”

None of those referred directly to the Iranian nuclear program. Obama ignored Netanyahu’s suggestions and forged ahead.

An Israeli strike might not stop the Iranian nuclear program. But it could stall that program, and create a renewed sense of vulnerability around the regime, which was near collapse as recently as 2009. Israel could also make Iran pay a direct cost for arming Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terror groups–a cost historically borne by the civilians of southern Lebanon or Gaza. It could project a conventional deterrent that would affect Iran here and now, as opposed to a nuclear deterrent whose effect might only be felt after an atomic exchange (i.e. not at all).Back-stabed1

For Israel, the costs of such an attack on Iran–even a successful one–could be severe. It would be condemned and isolated internationally. It might suffer thousands of rocket attacks from Lebanon and Gaza. It may lose thousands of soldiers and civilians in a ground war. Obviously the consequences will be less damaging–or more bearable–if the pre-emptive strike is successful. The reason Israelis are willing to take the risk at all is twofold. First, they have done it before (Iraq 1981; Syria 2007). Second, the alternative–thanks to the Iran deal–looks far worse.I am from the US Government

The Obama administration has done all it can to prevent an Israeli pre-emptive strike, from leaking Israeli attack scenarios to denying Israel air space over Iraq. As a result, the only realistic bombing plans–whether Israel targets Iran’s nuclear and political installations directly, or detonates an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) over the country–involve a Doolittle Raid-style attack from which Israel’s pilots will not expect to return, or a landing in Saudi Arabia. The latter was once a non-starter, but–ironically–Obama’s overtures to Iran have made it possible.

The Saudis are expected to respond to the Iran deal by seeking nuclear weapons of their own. But the monarchy could also strike an alliance with Israel–perhaps even a grand bargain. The Saudis could give Israel landing rights, logistical support, and intelligence. In return, Israel could accept Saudi Arabia’s proposal for a Palestinian state roughly along the “1967 lines”–plus Saudi control of Jerusalem’s Muslim holy sites, which would cement the royal family’s legitimacy. (Ironically, Obama, by provoking war, would enable Arab-Israeli peace.)

The clock is ticking, however. Before the Iran deal, it was thought that Israel could only carry out a pre-emptive strike in the time period before Iran actually became a nuclear power. Now, the deadlines are even shorter, and more complex. Israel would need to attack before Russian S-300 surface-to-air missiles, already sold to Iran, can be delivered and activated. It would also need to attack while Hezbollah and Hamas are still weak, war-weary and cash-strapped–i.e. before sanctions relief delivers billions to Iran’s regional war and terror efforts.israel-crosshairs

Israel must also be wary of attacking too soon. It will not attack in the next ten days, for example, because they coincide with a religious period of mourning for historic defeats. It would also make little sense for Israel to attack while Congress is debating the Iran deal.

But Israel will attack before it loses the option. It will do so because the purpose of Israeli statehood is to enable Jews to defend themselves, and not rely on the help or mercy of others.

Obama wants to build a new legacy, but Netanyahu has inherited an old legacy–one he cannot ignore.

The arrest on Saturday of a Queens college student on charges of conspiring with the Islamic State is just the most recent example of the group’s global strategy, which began about one year ago and has resulted in attacks or arrests in more than a dozen countries.
Late last June, the group, also known as ISIS or ISIL, declared a caliphate, or Islamic state, on the territory it controlled — and started to focus on three parallel tracks:

  • inciting regional conflict with attacks in Iraq and Syria;
  • building relationships with jihadist groups that can carry out military operations across the Middle East and North Africa;
  • and inspiring, and sometimes helping, ISIS sympathizers to conduct attacks in the West.

“The goal,” said Harleen Gambhir, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, “is that through these regional affiliates and through efforts to create chaos in the wider world, the organization will be able to expand, and perhaps incite a global apocalyptic war.”was

Beginning last fall, ISIS made repeated calls for attacks on the West, especially to followers in countries taking part in the American-led airstrike campaign in Iraq and Syria. So-called lone wolves have responded to these calls with relatively low-tech assaults — shootings, hostage takings, hit-and-runs — that tend to get a lot of attention.

The Queens man was arrested after a months long investigation found that he was planning to attack various New York City landmarks on behalf of the Islamic State, according to the authorities. “Al Qaeda always wanted to do spectacular attacks, but ISIS has reversed it,” said Patrick M. Skinner, a former C.I.A. operations officer now with the Soufan Group. “They don’t do spectacular attacks. They do attacks that generate spectacular reaction.”muslim-obama

ISIS Declares Provinces Across the Region

Declared providences

Islam is NOTISIS activity across the Middle East and North Africa has also surged. The group declared official provinces — or wilayat — in areas of Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen that had networks loyal to ISIS, many of which have adopted the organization’s signature brutality. It is an “open question” to what extent the core leadership of ISIS is communicating with its affiliates, Mr. Skinner said. While ISIS is providing support to some groups, there is no hard evidence that it is able to direct the activities of a regional wilayat as part of a cohesive campaign.

But Ms. Gambhir noted that a recent rocket attack on a multinational force in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt may be a sign that ISIS is seeing its abilities mature. The attack could be seen as part of a larger strategy to fracture the American-led airstrike coalition. “We haven’t assessed yet if that’s an intentional orchestration by ISIS,” Ms. Gambhir said. “We’re on heightened alert to look for things like that because it would indicate a new level of capability for the organization.”Obama Muslim collection

Caruba: Obama’s Middle East Debacle

May 18, 2015 By

Cartoon - Obama No Islamic Threat

IslamapologistI had to laugh when I heard that the new King of Saudi Arabia, Salmon, told the White House he wasn’t going to attend Thursday’s photo-op get together of Arab leaders. Some lesser Saudi officials will attend. The message is clear enough, so long as Obama continues to make nice with Iran, the center of the problems in the Middle East, the Saudis and the others are going to be wary of any proposal that comes out of the White House.

As far as the Middle East is concerned, Obama seems to have no idea of the history or the dynamics that affect all the actions there. His Secretary of State, Kerry, is no better. He met with Arab officials last Friday and they told him they want a defense treaty in the event they were attacked by “external forces”, something that the Congress will not approve so long as Obama is in the White House.
One would think that any President at this point would have concluded that the Palestinians have no intention of signing onto a peace treaty with the Israelis.

Writing in The New York Times on May 8, Jonathan Schanzer, vice president of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, put it bluntly, “It doesn’t matter what these politicians think now or have said in in the past. Peace between Israel and the Palestinians is not happening in the next two years.” That’s how long we all have to wait until Obama leaves office.

Saudi Arabia's King Salman

David P.Goldman, a Senior Fellow of the Middle East Forum, writing in Asia Times Online on May 10, spelled it out.
“It is inconvenient for diplomats to say so, but the Palestinian Authority collapsed quite some time ago,” noting that “President Mahmoud Abbas’ term in office began in 2005 and ended six years ago, and he has not called new elections for the simple reason that Hamas—the Palestinian branch of the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood—would win those elections.”  These days the Egyptians label Hamas a terrorist organization and have taken steps to eliminate the Brotherhood. At least they know who the enemy is.
Obama has been antagonistic to Israel from before he was elected and has made little effort to hide it. Consider this, as Goldman notes, “Hamas fired over 4,000 rockets at Israel in 2014, prompting Israeli counterstrikes during the summer.” Its declared intention and the reason for its existence is to eliminate the State of Israel. Why are we surprised to hear that Obama wants to take the statehood issue to the United Nations, a hotbed of anti-Semitism, and has little to say of the Palestinian Authority’s assertion that it wants to drag Israel in front of the International Criminal Court for having defended itself against the attacks by Hamas!

Not only has the Saudi King sent Obama a message, but so did the Israelis when they overwhelmingly reelected Benjamin Netanyahu as their Prime Minister. “The Israelis look around the Middle East and see nothing but conflict, carnage, instability and danger,” said Schanzer. “The Obama doctrine—which includes a deliberate contraction of American power in the Middle East—has undeniably made Israel less safe.”

It has made the U.S. and the world less safe too.

One of the most obscene aspects of the Obama obsession with Iran is that, in return for any deal—which Iran would ignore and cheat—they are ready “to provide as much as $120 billion in sanctions relief to satisfy the narrow technical parameters of a nuclear deal, which would legitimize Iran as a threshold nuclear state. These funds,” said Schanzer, “will flow to Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Iran terror proxies dedicated to Israel’s demise.”
To put all this in perspective, as Goldman reminds us, “From Israel’s standpoint, the Palestinian Authority was offered 95% of Judea and Samaria in return for a final peace agreement, and both times (at Camp David in 1999 under Ehud Barack and in 2008 under Ehud Olmert) the offer was rejected.”
“The U.N. Security Council,” said Goldman, “will punish Israel for the failure of negotiations that were meaningless to begin with, and establish a Hamas-controlled state within nine miles of the Mediterranean coast. Iran has already promised to arm West Bank Arabs, just as it armed Hezbollah and Hamas.”muslim-obama

Israel which has enjoyed the support of the United States since it declared its independence in 1948 is now put at risk by the first administration to deliberately turn its back on it in preference for a deal with the leading terror-sponsor, Iran, in the Middle East.

You cannot make a greater mess of the mess that already exists in the Middle East, but Obama is doing his best to add to it. What else should we expect from a President who refuses to utter words like “Islamic terrorism”?Obama Muslim collection

Why Liberals Love the Enemies of Israel

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:  Let me see if I get this straight.  The Obama administration and the American media can spend money and run campaign ads designed to turn out the Israeli Arab vote, and that isn’t racist.  No, no, no.  That’s perfectly fine.  But then Netanyahu coming along with his allies pointing out that Obama and the Democrats and the media have targeted the Arabs and therefore trying to get his own base to turn out, that’s racist?

How can Netanyahu responding to what the Democrats are doing be considered racism and what the Democrats are doing not be racism?  This is getting… This has been out of hand for I don’t know how long.  The Democrats are throwing down the race card and getting away with it because there’s too much fear in retaliating to it, against it.  There’s too much fear.  Everybody’s frightened in the elected political class to do something about this.  But it’s long been out of hand.  It’s perverse.  It’s destructive.

There’s nothing positive or uplifting or inspiring about any of this, contrary to the claims of Democrat PR.  They’re the ones that started all this. They’re the ones that targeted money and ads to turn out the Arab vote.  Never once did anybody think that was racist. So Benjamin Netanyahu responds to it by pointing out the left is targeting the Arab vote and trying to get his base to turnout to counter that, and all of a sudden that becomes racism?

It’s all the same race Middle East anyway.  It’s all Semitic.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Here’s Thomas “Loopy” Friedman, the New York Times.  This really is absurd.  This is alternate universe.  This is two different worlds in which people live.  The idea that racism was a factor in the Israeli election, the very idea is flat-out absurd.  Well, you see, the Democrats can never lose on the merits.  No, no.  And Barack Obama can never actually be rejected by people either here or in Israel.  No, no.  There has to be some explanation when he loses, and it can’t have anything to do with his policies.  It can’t have anything to do with his meddling.

My guess is that a bunch of Israelis were fed up with the American president interloping in their country trying to ambush an election, influence it, for his own personal desires, not the United States’ best interests and certainly not Israel’s.  Obama injected himself into that election for his own personal reasons, whatever the heck they are.  There had to be some Israeli backlash to that.  Probably not as much as you’d think, but there had to be some.

But it doesn’t matter.  On any given day the Democrats never lose.  They either have tricks played against them, somebody cheated, or the race card was used, or the War on Women took an unexpected turn or some such thing, and then their allies pick up the ball and run with it.

I want to ask you a question that I asked you yesterday.  Have you ever stopped to think, in this whole Middle East peace process — and remember that’s all it is.  It’s a process that never ends.  It’s a process that recycles and repeats.  It’s a chess game and the game never is won or lost.  The pieces keep being moved around by different players, depending on the American administration and the Israeli prime minister and whoever’s running the show at the PLO or Fatah or whatever they call themselves on any given day, Hamas, Hezbollah, you name it.

The Middle East peace process is an industry unto itself.  It’s not designed to be resolved.  The Middle East peace process does not have an achievable objective.  We’re all being lied to about this. We’re all being strung along.  My whole life there’s been no change in it.  We’re all roped into believing that there’s a solution to this, with words, with the right people, doctors, nurses, clean water, whatever, speeches, you name it.  There aren’t any such solutions, and there never are to conflicts like this.

Ours is a world governed by the aggressive use of force, not by the aggressive use of process.  This is made especially and abundantly clear in this case because there is no such thing as a two-state solution.  I don’t know how much time you out there as individuals pay attention to the Middle East peace process.  I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t pay much attention at all, ’cause it never changes.  It’s the same thing.

The news on the Middle East peace process does not change from administration to administration, from person to person, from year to year.  Oh, you might have changes that appear to be different, like this two-state solution business, or when the Israelis finally decide to accept the idea of a Palestinian state.  But then whenever something like that, which some people would consider progress is made, guess who undermines it?

Hello, Yasser Arafat.  Hello, whoever is running the show in negotiations against the Israelis, because they do not want a two-state solution.  There is no two-state solution.  There’s a one-state solution.  A two-state solution actually means the end of Israel.  Go take a look at the Hezbollah charter.  Take a look at things stated by Yasser Arafat when he was around.  Doesn’t matter who.  You’ll see, take a look at Iranian caliphate.  No matter where you go the objective is wiping out the Jewish state.  It doesn’t exist anymore, and neither do the people who at present live in it.

That’s the objective, that’s the only objective.  There is no desire to live side by side in peace and tranquility and mutual respect and all of that.  There is no such possibility resulting from negotiation.  Just never gonna happen.  I dare say the people involved in it know it.  But the Middle East peace process has become a career.  The Mideast peace process is something that when you’re 15 you say, “You know, I want to work there. I want to work there for life.  I want to become a diplomat working at the Middle East peace process.  I want to be a career appointee to the Middle East peace process so that I am there no matter who the American administration is, president is.”

This whole thing is a joke.  What makes it — obviate the two-state solution?  Well, the demand for right of return.  Right of return is incumbent on a two-state solution.  Right of return means that anybody who wants to call themselves a Palestinian anywhere in the world has the right to come back to whatever they designate as the Palestinians state.  And, by the way, the Palestinian state is going to be what Israel is now or there’s never gonna be a deal.  And who’s gonna make that deal?

Who in Israel is going to negotiate the end of the nation?  You know, now that I ask that, I can see that that could happen if you elect the wrong Israeli leftists.  Israeli leftists are the equivalent of the current Republican leadership in this country. Just as the current Republican leadership’s scared to death of the Democrats, scared to death of the media, the Israeli left is scared to death of Iran. Everything you hear about the Republican leadership not criticizing Obama:  We don’t want to provoke him. We don’t want to make ’em mad. We don’t want to anger the independents. We don’t want to turn away the independents. We don’t want anybody getting mad at us. We don’t want the media criticizing.

Same thing.  The Israeli left is the same way, except their objective is placating Iran.  They’re neophytes who believe that these people can be appeased.  The right of return eliminates any possibility of a two-state solution or existence.  Besides that, none of the militant Arab population wants a state of Israel.  So all this is academic, is my point.  Obama inserts himself in this process. Actually, in the internal affairs of Israel, he inserts himself personally and professionally. He throws down this notion of the race card. He starts the whole thing with the race card. Bibi responds to it and Bibi’s accused as the only one that plays the race card.

But I need to ask you, do you ever wonder why the Democrat Party in this country, whoever, be it Bill Clinton, be it Barack Obama, be it John Kerry, I don’t care, be it Dianne Feinstein, I don’t care, pick one, why are their allies the Palestinians, and why are the Israelis, which is the ally of the United States, why are the Israelis tied, at least at present with Netanyahu as the prime minister, to the conservative or Republican Party?  Why is that?  That’s more understandable.  Shared values, foreign and domestic, same worldview, same Western civilization roots.

But why, no matter what Democrat you mention, no matter what Democrat’s ever in the White House, or whatever Democrat’s secretary of state, whatever Democrat ends up anywhere, why are they always simpatico with the Palestinians?  And there is an answer to the question.  Without going into it in great detail, it’s no more complicated — I mean there is ideology involved.  There’s a common ground.  Leftists will find their friends anywhere around the world.  They do not have to be American.  They do not have to be domestic in any way.

But aside from their ideological commonalities, and there are some between the Palestinians and the Democrat Party, when I say — Hamas, Hezbollah, there’s another reason for it, and that is they feel sorry for ’em. They feel sorry for ’em like they feel sorry for the African-American population in America.  They actually look at the Palestinians and they see a bunch of people worthy of pity.  “Oh, these poor guys, look at ’em, nobody wants ’em, they’re outcasts. They can’t get along with anybody,” and they look at the Israelis as the big, evil white — even though they’re not — majority.  Israel is the equivalent of the biggest enemy that the Democrats can muster in American conservatism or in the American Republican Party.

It’s really no more complicated than that.  Well, it is actually because there is ideological common ground as well between the enemies of Israel and the Democrat Party in this country, but in large part it’s really no more complicated than the evil tyranny of a majority and the poor, helpless, put-upon, discriminated-against minority and people of color.  And, as such, the Democrats look upon these minorities not with respect.  They look upon them with pity and the bigotry of low expectations.  They’re people that can’t do anything on their own.  They’re people who can’t survive on their own.  They’re poor people, they’re just incompetent and inept, and they need a champion.  They need somebody speaking up for them. They need somebody defending them.

The Democrats rush to the cause, make themselves look big and magnanimous, and there’s something magic about always opposing the majority, even when you’re it.  You disguise the fact that you’re in the majority, you blame others for being the majority, and you rip ’em to shreds every day just because they are.  And just because they’re the majority they’re intrinsically corrupt.  They’re automatically cheating. They’re automatically corrupt. They’re automatically ingrates because they are the majority.  And, as such, they’re incapable of being sympathized.  They’re incapable of anybody having empathy for them because they’re just evil.

In the liberal worldview it does not really require any more detail than that, but there is.  There are other reasons to explain why the Democrat Party and the American left is simpatico with the enemies of Israel.

RUSH:  Here’s Thomas “Loopy” Friedman.  This is last night on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront.  Her question was, “You wrote today that Netanyahu went for the gutter with the comment to supporters that Arab voters were coming out to vote in huge numbers.” Would you please explain that to us, Mr. Friedman?  How can that be Netanyahu going for the gutter?

FRIEDMAN:  Netanyahu, to save himself, took votes from even farther right parties. And now he is saddled with the way he did that, this kind of race baiting. And at the same time with throwing out the window of his election bus the whole notion of a two-state solution. The people who are happiest tonight, who are high five-ing and toasting themselves with endless Allahu Akbars is the Iranian regime in Tehran. Iran wants a one state solution, so there is a constant grinding between Israeli settlers and Palestinians. Nothing makes Iran happier than Israel opting for a one state solution

RUSH:  Ladies and gentlemen, that is just flat-out wrong.  It is dangerously wrong.  It is arrogantly misinformed.  And this guy is the Bible to everybody who reads the New York Times.  In terms of foreign policy, Thomas Friedman is the Bible.  And this is dangerously, embarrassingly, every bit of it wrong.  There never will be a two-state solution.  These people are living in dreamland.  They have no concept of the dynamics of anything that they do.  Just like when they raise taxes they don’t understand when people are able to avoid it.  They don’t understand when people try to find ways not to pay the new taxes.

There’s never gonna be a two-state solution because the Palestinians do not want that.  And how anybody with even one half the IQ of a pencil eraser doesn’t understand that is literally beyond me.  And then we hear this other bromide here, “Well, he took votes from even further right parties.”  So?  They were registered to vote.  So what, where they came from.  What makes them so evil that they are further right?  How does that matter?  Where does “further right” equal “evil”?  Except in this man’s upside down world.  But that’s not even the point.  The race-baiting?

If anybody race-baited it’s Barack Obama and whoever ran that campaign for him over there.  They are the ones who pointed out the need to turn out the Arab-Israeli vote.  And, by the way, what is racist about that any?  There is no racism in this.  Only in the convoluted, upside down world of liberalism can people of the same race be somehow tagged as racial minorities.  It’s just inexplicable.  So race-baiting, when the first people that did it were people that are Friedman’s allies.

The first thing, they run all these fraudulent polls telling everybody Netanyahu’s gonna lose, and then they run all these stories claiming they’re gonna really turn out the Arab-Israeli vote.  Well, that’s no different than turning out minority votes in this country.  The opposition party is gonna do something to counter it.  It’s called free and open elections.  It’s called campaigning.  Except when the left comments on it, somehow, if you don’t just sit there and let them beat you, if you don’t just sit there and give up and let them beat you, you’re engaging in racism.  It’s sick.

RUSH:  In fact, it’s not even a one-state solution that the Palestinians want.  It’s not a one-state solution the Iranians want. I’m picking up where I left off ’cause I got offended.  I was interrupted, but I couldn’t do anything about it.  What we’re talking about here is a final solution, and the final solution is, there is no Israel and there are no Jews living where Israel is now.  That’s the objective, and this is never gonna gets solved on the Palestinian side, the Iranian side, and the Arab side, ’til that happens.  Pure and simple.  If that ever happens, you’ve got a solution.

And how they gonna do that, folks?  How’s that solution?  If that were to happen, how is there no Israel, and how are there no Jews living on the land that is now Israel, how does that happen?  You think somebody’s gonna negotiate that?  You think somebody’s gonna come along in the Middle East peace process and agree to that?  You think the United Nations is gonna pass a Security Council resolution that everybody’s gonna vote for that wipes Israel, as it exists, off the map and put the Jews that live there somewhere else?  Preferably in the Mediterranean, is what the Palestinians want.

Do you think that’s gonna happen?  That hasn’t an iota’s of a chance happening unless there is a military conflict that Israel would lose, which is how conflicts like this have traditionally been solved throughout human history.  This two state, one state, Thomas “Loopy” Friedman here, this is idiotic.  I can’t believe that — well, yes, I can.  Because this the process to them, this is all that matters is the process itself.  The fact that it never solves anything is part and parcel of it.

The process is where you get to show how smart you are.  The process is where you get to demonstrate your brain power.  The process is where you get to demonstrate where your allegiances lie.  The process is where you get to identify who the bad guys are and who the good guys are so that you can be a good guy. The process is where you get to identify racism and bigotry and sexism all over the place.  The process is whereby you establish your credentials as some sort of expert.  The process is meaningless.  The process is worthless in terms of its stated objective, and that’s a solution, ’cause there is no solution, except a final solution.

Now, the Israelis would be fine and dandy with a negotiated Palestinian state, except they know that that’s not what the Palestinians really want.  And therefore, how do you negotiate seriously when you know what they claim to want isn’t true, when their stated objectives are not what their real objectives are, when you know what their objectives are.  Their objectives are your elimination.  And so it’s insolence, it’s disrespect to the American president, Barack Obama, when you stand up for your own nation’s existence?  It’s insolence, it’s disrespect when you dare to win your own election?

The opposition, by the way, being aided and assisted by Barack Obama.  And let’s remember once again, spending money, targeting other resources, running campaign ads to turn out the Arab vote in the Israeli election, that was the American Democrat Party, that was the American president, Barack Obama. That’s the advice that the Herzog campaign got. That’s how the money was spent over there.

American money was spent targeting objectives, resources, and running campaign ads at Israeli Arabs, designed to get them to turn out and vote.  But that wasn’t racist.  In the magic of Democrat Party politics, that wasn’t racist.  To target ads and resources at Arab-Israelis, oh, there’s no racism in that.  Don’t you dare accuse us of racism.  But Netanyahu and the Likud Party responding to it, defending against it somehow is racist?

This stuff has to stop.  This is nothing but pure destructive.  There’s nothing inspiring, there’s nothing uplifting, there’s no good that comes of this.  And then these brainiacs like Thomas “Loopy” Friedman toss in their five cents and tack on with their: Oh, yeah, he kind of race-baited there, Netanyahu.  Yeah, yeah, he race-baited.

How in the hell, again, when everybody there is of the same race, how do you race bait?  And then Netanyahu committed the real offense.  He went out and he appealed to the even farther right parties.  Oh, that’s really low.  That’s really the scum of the earth, those further-right parties.  We can’t put up with that.  And then after all of this, Obama still lost in a landslide.

So there’s gonna be a price for this, and that price is gonna be we are gonna abandon Israel at the UN, and we are going to assist the Iranians.  We may put sanctions on Israel now and lift them on Iran.  I mean, imagine Eddie Haskell with nuclear weapons and the Beaver keeps beating him.  That’s what we’re looking at here.  We’ve got a man-child, an immature child, spoiled brat who’s had his way his whole life, been treated as something special his whole life, and his life recently is a series of humiliations, from losing the automatic bid for Chicago to get the Olympics.

I could go down a list of things that were supposed to be slam dunks that Obama has lost and this is just the last straw.  So now everybody’s gonna pay for this act of insolence.  I feel like I’m watching Game of Thrones here and the 15-year-old king wants to start chopping off heads.  And everybody’s afraid to say no to the 15-year-old king ’cause it might be their head that gets chopped off.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu is doing everything he can to save his state, save his country, save his people.  Even people in Israel who don’t like him miss this.  But that’s what his objective is.  But I’m telling you, don’t fall for this two state, one-state solution garbage.  It’s the final solution.  By the way, one of the biggest jokes here in Friedman’s comment is that the Iranians are sitting over there giving themselves a bunch of high fives as in Allahu Akbars.  That I’d like to see.  I’d like to see the mullahs high fiving each other wherever they live.  “Hey, Ayatollah Khamenei, high five me, Allahu Akbar!”  Can just see this.  This is the picture that Friedman paints, and that they’re happy about this, they’re happy Netanyahu.  Of course they’re happy.  Because they want a one-state solution.

What one-state solution is he talking about?  What one-state solution would make the mullahs in Iran happy?  How are the mullahs in Iran kept happy with Netanyahu winning?  The only way that makes sense is if the mullahs in Iran know that the Middle East peace process has no end, by definition, by design, and it doesn’t.  You know why?  They need an enemy.  Just like the Democrat Party needs a demon, needs an enemy, needs a vilan, so do those guys, and Israel is made to order.  Israel can never, ever be allowed to participate in a solution, ’cause Israel’s the bad guys.  They can’t ever do anything good.  They can’t ever do anything noteworthy.  They can’t ever do anything laudatory.  That would blow everything sky-high.

The Israelis must always remain the bad guys, and, as such, there will never, ever be a solution until they get their nuke, and then look out.  And that is what Netanyahu knows, and anybody with common sense knows.  And it doesn’t take much common sense.  All it takes is the courage to believe what the Iranians have told everybody, from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the Ayatollah Khomeini to the Ayatollah Khamenei, to whatever ayatollah, whatever mullah, whoever you want to talk to, that’s their stated objective.

ISIS, you name it, that’s their objective.  And that, the elimination of Israel and the expulsion of the Jews from that real estate, that is the objective, and that is the only solution they’re interested in, and that is the final solution.  It’s not a one-state, it’s not a two-state, it’s the final.  And nothing short of that will ever be acceptable.

A powerful U.S. Senate investigatory committee has launched a bipartisan probe into an American nonprofit’s funding of efforts to oust Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the Obama administration’s State Department gave the nonprofit taxpayer-funded grants, a source with knowledge of the panel’s activities told FoxNews.com. The fact that both Democratic and Republican sides of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations have signed off on the probe could be seen as a rebuke to President Obama, who has had a well-documented adversarial relationship with the Israeli leader.

The development comes as Netanyahu told Israel’s Channel Two television station this week that there were “governments” thatBack-stabed1 wanted to help with the “Just Not Bibi” campaigning — Bibi being the Israeli leader’s nickname. It also follows a FoxNews.com report on claims the Obama administration has been meddling in the Israeli election on behalf of groups hostile to Netanyahu. A spokesperson for Sen. Rob Portman, Ohio Republican and chairman of the committee, declined comment, and aides to ranking Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill, of Missouri, did not immediately return calls.

The Senate subcommittee, which has subpoena power, is the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs’ chief investigative body with jurisdiction over all branches of government operations and compliance with laws. “The Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations does not comment on ongoing investigations,” Portman spokeswoman Caitlin Conant told Foxnews.com.

But a source familiar with the matter confirmed for FoxNews.com that the probe — undisclosed until now — was both underway and bipartisan in nature. According to the source, the probe is looking into “funding” by OneVoice Movement – a Washington-based group that has received $350,000 in recent State Department grants, and until last November was headed by a veteran diplomat from the Clinton administrations. A subsidiary of OneVoice is the Israel-based Victory 15 campaign, itself guided by top operatives of Obama’s White House runs, which seeks to “replace the government” of Israel.

“It’s confirmed that there is a bipartisan Permanent Subcommittee inquiry into OneVoice’s funding of V15,” the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity about the American group, which bills itself as working for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In his television interview, Netanyahu said the coalition seeking to oust him is generously funded by foreign donors who are also encouraging a high voter turnout among Israel’s Arab and left-wing voters in a bid to replace the existing leadership. He characterized the campaign against him as “unprecedented.” While Netanyahu pointed the finger at “European countries and left-wing people abroad,” some observers note that he held back from openly criticizing Obama during his recent trip to the U.S. to address Congress on problems his government sees with administration-backed efforts to reach a nuclear weapons inspection deal with Iran.

“We appreciate all that President Obama has done for Israel,” Netanyahu told lawmakers — while Obama refused to meet with the Israeli leader, and later criticized his speech as “nothing new.”

No direct link has been confirmed between Obama and the anti-Netanyahu campaign in Israel, but polls have shown that a I am from the US Governmentlarge majority of Israelis believe the administration has been interfering in the election, set for March 17.

One expert told FoxNews.com earlier this month the State Department grants constituted indirect administration funding of the anti-Netanyahu campaign by providing OneVoice with the $350,000 — even though State Department officials said the funding stopped in November, ahead of the announcement of the Israeli election.

Gerald Steinberg, founder and president of NGO Monitor, which tracks money flows to unmask non-governmental organizations that deviate from their stated human rights or humanitarian agendas, said even ostensibly unrelated grants keep an organization going during periods it is not engaged in political activity.

Indeed, by January, OneVoice – whose focus on Israel’s 1967 borders as a negotiating starting point reflects Obama’s thinking but is counter to Netanyahu’s – had announced its partnership with V15.OBAMA CARTOONS, THROW ISRAEL UNDER THE BUS

Around the same time, Jeremy Bird, who served as Obama’s deputy national campaign director in 2008, and his national campaign director in 2012, arrived in Israel to help direct V15. Bird took with him additional former Obama campaign operatives to help V15 achieve its goal of knocking on one million doors to make the case for a change in Israel’s leadership.

OneVoice is barred from directly targeting Netanyahu by U.S. law regulating its tax-exempt status, and doing so would threaten that status. One Voice spokesman Payton Knox denied claims the group is working with the administration in the upcoming Israeli election. “OneVoice is eager to cooperate with any inquiry,” he said Saturday. “And after a fair examination, we are confident no wrong doing will be found.”more evidence

But the recent FoxNews.com investigation showed that the nonprofit, in its 2014 Annual Report, said its Israel branch would be “embarking on a groundbreaking campaign around the Israeli elections.” In partnering with V15, the two groups have operated from adjacent offices in Tel Aviv.

In addition to McCaskill, other Democrats on the subcommittee are Sens. Jon Tester of Montana, Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin, and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota. Republican subcommittee members, who form the majority, are Sens. John McCain of Arizona, Rand Paul of Kentucky, James Lankford of Oklahoma, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, and Ben Sasse of Nebraska, in addition to Portman.

State Department documents say the grants to OneVoice were meant for the group’s work in encouraging both Palestinian grass-roots civic activism and Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. The State Department itself, meanwhile, denied any of the funds had been used for election campaign activities despite OneVoice’s backing of V15.Israels-Back-590-LI

Launched in 2002 by snack bar mogul Daniel Lubetzky and boasting the star power of such celebrities as Brad Pitt, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman and Sir Paul McCartney among its honorary advisors, OneVoice was headed until November by Marc Ginsberg, who advised President Carter on Middle East policy and served as President Clinton’s ambassador to Morocco.

Ginsberg, who has described the administration’s approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a “window of opportunity,” is now serving OneVoice as “special advisor” after resigning as CEO at a time that turned out to be just ahead of the early December announcement of the Israeli election.

“I resigned on November 11, 2014, because I had only committed to serve as CEO for one year and my resignation was effective December 19, 2014,” he wrote in an email to FoxNews.com. “I agreed to be available after that as a Senior Adviser on an occasional basis to the organization…along with many others, but have had ZERO decision-making authority over personnel, budgets, programs, etc. That responsibility was transferred to the Executive Director of the OneVoice Europe organization after I resigned.”Party of Deciet and lies

Why The Democrats Are Drifting Away From Israel

muslim-obamaAt this writing, nearly two dozen Democrats are planning to boycott Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress in March. Vermont Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy called the speech “a tawdry and high-handed stunt.” Minnesota Democratic Rep. Betsy McCollum said, “In my view Mr. Netanyahu’s speech before Congress is nothing more than a campaign event hosted by Speaker Boehner and paid for by the American people.”

“I’m offended as an American,” said New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel, who appeared to challenge Netanyahu to a fight over Twitter.more evidence

This once would have been unthinkable. “You used to be able to find critics of Israel in the Republican Party,” John Judis wrote in The New Republic last year, rattling off names like Charles Matthias and Paul Findley. “But the Democrats, and particularly liberal Democrats, stood squarely behind whatever the Israeli government was doing.”Back-stabed1

“Our alliance with Israel is an alliance based on common democratic ideals and mutual benefit,” said a prominent Democratic senator in a 1980 speech. “We must never barter the freedom and future of Israel for a barrel of oil — or foolishly try to align the Arab world with us, no matter what cost.” The name of that senator? Ted Kennedy, who was then running for president to the left of Jimmy Carter.

Pro-Israel Democrats think the recent tempest merely reflects tension between Netanyahu and Barack Obama, the Democratic president of the United States. “It doesn’t matter that the president and the prime minister don’t like each other,” New York Democratic Rep. Elliot Engel, the ranking member on the House Foreign Relations Committee, told the Los Angeles Times. “The strength of the U.S.-Israel relationship has always been at its core a very bipartisan one. I think anything that threatens to jeopardize that is not good for the U.S. and is not good for Israel.”

Obama’s frosty relationship with Netanyahu has exacerbated the growing rift between liberal Democrats and Israel. Netanyahu clearly preferred his old friend Mitt Romney in 2012, while Obama has been similarly chummy with the Israeli opposition.  Secretary of State John Kerry linked Israel and apartheid, later apologizing but not particularly effusively. An unnamed Obama official told The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg that Netanyahu was a “chickenshit,” a remark they likely knew would be published.more evidence

But Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir didn’t get along famously with President George H.W. Bush or Secretary of State James Baker and that didn’t stop Republicans from moving in a more pro-Israel direction, including during the administration of George W. Bush.

The Obama-Netanyahu conflict reflects a real shift in Democratic sentiment that can’t be entirely attributed to the president. The Pew Research Center conducted a poll asking, “In the dispute between Israel and the Palestinians, who do you sympathize with more?” According to the poll;

  • 66 percent of Republicans picked Israel

  • while only 39 percent of Democrats did the same.

  • Conservative Republicans were more likely to support Israel than moderate Republicans,

  • moderate Democrats more pro-Israel than liberal ones.

  • Christians (55 percent) are now more likely than Jews (40 percent) to believe that God gave Israel to the Jewish people.

  • Only Orthodox Jews are more likely to believe this than white evangelicals.

  • White evangelicals are more likely than Jews to think the U.S. isn’t supportive enough of Israel,

  • and less likely to think the current level of American support for the Jewish state is “just right.”Islamapologist Obama Muslim collection

Democrats booed references to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital at the party’s 2012 convention. In this case, it was actually Obama’s forces who pushed to have the pro-Israel language restored to the Democratic platform over delegates’ objections.

“Basically, support for Israel gets stronger as you move right, and weaker as you move left,” Bill McGurn observed in the New York Post. Where liberals once saw Israel as a homeland for Jewish victims of discrimination and genocide, today’s liberals see the Palestinians as the victims and Israelis as the oppressors. Liberalism can more readily accept the nationalism of the former over the latter. Israel is too Western for the multicultural left and Zionism fits uneasily alongside the priorities of contemporary multiculturalism. The Jewish state has launched military offenses that Republicans were more likely to support than Democrats. Liberals are more secular than in the past, and less impressed by Judeo-Christian Holy Land claims.I am from the US Government

American supporters of Israel, on the other hand, have become more conservative and less secular, entangling this foreign policy question in the domestic culture wars. Israel itself has had center-right and right-of-center governments more frequently than the United States over the past 20 years. Netanyahu is close to the American right. It’s no accident House Speaker John Boehner invited him.

The disagreement between Obama and Netanyahu over Iran, colored by their barely concealed distaste for each other, may compound all of this. But the Democrats’ drift away from Israel is likely to continue after the president and prime minister are gone.

Fight Them Over There: Kill the terrorists before they reach the West

And there is really only one way America can respond to this challenge. We need to kill them first. We need to kill them on a field of battle whose contours are determined not by the terrorists but by us. We need to kill them over there—in the Middle East—before they reach the West.

I realize that for at least the next two years what I propose is wishful thinking. American policy has reverted to a defensive condition in which Islamic terrorists set the terms of conflict. We have been here before. Until 2001, the United States treated Islamic terrorism as a matter of law enforcement. When our embassies were raided or bombed, when our barracks were destroyed, when our soldiers and sailors were murdered, when our World Trade Center was attacked, when our destroyer was damaged, we treated the assailants as members of an Arabic-speaking mafia, as criminals to be apprehended, tried, and punished.

Didn’t work. The jihad grew. It even found a base in Afghanistan, where it could equip and train and plot. In 2001, in a single fall morning, the World Trade Center was destroyed, the Pentagon bludgeoned, and more than 3,000 innocent people were killed.

America rethought its approach to terrorism. No longer were the terrorists considered felons. They were now unlawful combatants. Surveillance, interrogation, and detention policies became more aggressive. We invaded Afghanistan, we toppled the Taliban, and we sent al Qaeda leadership into hiding.

When America invaded Iraq in 2003, al Qaeda and its followers—joining forces with Saddam’s former commanders and marginalized Sunni tribes—designated the Tigris-Euphrates plain the main battleground of the global jihad. Aspiring jihadists, enemies of the West, traveled to Iraq where they encountered, and were killed by, heavily armed and expertly trained U.S. pilots, soldiers, and Marines.

The point of the war on terrorism was not merely to “decimate” the “core of al Qaeda.” The objective was also, in the course of a long struggle, to delegitimize the Qaeda movement and deter its fellow travelers by revealing Islamism as an evolutionary dead end. The unstated message of the strategy was this: If you choose jihad against the West, you will spend your life in Guantanamo or you will die.

Look what happened. By May 2008, plagiarist and emcee Fareed Zakaria could report: “If you set aside” the war in Iraq, “terrorism has in fact gone way down over the past five years.” And soon one did not have to “set aside” Iraq. When the change in strategy and surge of troops Bush ordered in 2007 began to take effect, violence in Iraq went “way down” too.

With the election of President Obama, however, the conflict between Islamism and America entered a third phase. Our troops were removed from the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan, leaving Special Forces and drone pilots to do most of the fighting. The defense budget was cut. Harsh interrogation was curtailed, and Guantanamo Bay slowly emptied. Surveillance practices were disrupted. The words “Islamic terrorism” would not be uttered, for that somehow legitimized extremists. As for the terrorists themselves, they were once again treated like criminals.more evidence

What has resulted is a dramatic uptick in Islamic radicalism. In January 2014 the RAND Corporation found that “the number of Salafi-jihadist groups and fighters increased after 2010, as well as the number of attacks perpetrated by Al Qaeda and its affiliates.” Attacks including the Ft. Hood massacre; the assault on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi; the Boston Marathon bombing whose victims included an 8-year-old boy; and the public beheading of British Fusilier Lee Rigby.

The absence of American troops in Iraq created an opportunity for ISIS, the Islamic army born of the Syrian civil war. Last summer, from its base in Raqqa, Syria, ISIS invaded Iraq. It captured and imposed sharia law on Mosul, a city of more than a million people, beheaded journalists, and threatened Baghdad, the Kurds, and minority sects with extermination.Airstrikes-600-LI America will NOT be drawn Battle-Plans-590-LI Bombing-ISIS-NRD-600-logo Iraq-buck-590-LA Iraq-sacrifices-NRD-600-w-logo Let me be clear Pulling-the-Pin-NRD-600-w-Logo Stable-Iraq MIssion Accomplished WMD-in-Iraq

ISIS “controls more land and has more weapons than any other jihadist organization in history,” according to experts at the American Enterprise Institute. ISIS is said to possess “more than $2 billion in assets” and command an “estimated 40,000 fighters.” ISIS is expert at “propaganda by the deed”: the spectacular use of public violence to provoke fear in your enemies and loyalty in your friends. There is even an ISIS gift shop. A global movement cowering in fear does not sell tchotchkes.

Nor is ISIS the only jihadist group on the offensive. Yemen has collapsed into a civil war between Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and Iranian-backed Houthi militants. Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb operates freely in Libya and Algeria and Mali. Boko Haram slaughtered thousands while expanding its holdings in Nigeria. Al-Shabaab runs central and southern Somalia. Hamas kills Jews from its Gaza satrapy. The Taliban is ready for its comeback in Afghanistan. This swelling of radical Islam—in territory, in resources, in adherents, in scalps—extends to Muslim communities around the world, and to disturbed and alienated men and women hungry to join a winning fight.

The central front of the war on terror is no longer Iraq. It is not Afghanistan. It is the West, and all lands associated with the West. So the radicals strike Israel, they kill in Sydney, they gun down cartoonists and Jews in Paris, they plan to strike the U.S. Capitol with pipe bombs and rifles.

Such a pattern of destruction ought to force a reevaluation of American strategy. But that has not happened. Instead our response to jihadism has been confusing, contradictory, insipid, self-destructive, and inane.AMEN

The administration not only skips a solidarity march in Paris. It won’t call the Charlie Hebdo and kosher market attacks Islamic terrorism. The favorite newspaper of the White House is more concerned with the “fear and resentment” of European populations tired of being killed than it is with terrorism. The error-ridden blog edited by one of the president’s favorite pundits says discussions of free speech “often seem more about justifying Islamophobia against everyday Muslims, who are just as overwhelmingly peaceful as every other religious group, than they are about protecting rights that are seriously endangered.”Obama Muslim collection

Guantanamo inmates are released to Oman, which borders Yemen, on the same day an American jihadist is arrested for plotting an attack on the nation’s Capitol. The State Department says it’s okay for Iran—a radical theocracy that is the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world, that sows upheaval from Lebanon to Syria to Iraq to Bahrain to Yemen, that originated the idea of assassinating Western authors who blaspheme Mohammed—to build additional nuclear plants.

The means by which the president reluctantly has attempted to take the fight to the terrorists are not succeeding. Micromanagement by White House officials of the air campaign against ISIS has resulted in a stalemate. American advisers to Iraq say it will take a minimum of three years to prepare the Iraqi army to roll back the Caliphate. Meanwhile our soldiers are subjected to mortar rounds launched from ISIS positions. So passive-aggressive is the president’s war on ISIS that Iraqis are beginning to suggest that “ISIS is a U.S. creation.” One Iraqi told the Wall Street Journal: “The international coalition against ISIS is a comedy act. America can destroy ISIS in one day only, but it does not do it.”

What about Yemen, which President Obama has held up as a model of intervention? Michael Crowley of Politico reports, “Since mid-September, the U.S. has conducted just three drone strikes in Yemen, down from 19 last year, according to data compiled by the New America Foundation. And that was a fraction of the 2012 peak of 56 drone and air strikes.” Yemen and Syria are the key nodes of a global network of financing, training, and planning for jihadist operations. The United States has allowed this network to persist, indeed to grow in complexity and reach.

Only by extinguishing ISIS can the United States begin to reassert its authority and put the jihadists on the defensive. But increasing the number and pace of drone and air strikes will not be enough. The number of U.S. ground forces in Iraq must be dramatically increased, and America seriously must work to remove the cause of the Syrian civil war: the mass murderer Bashar al-Assad, who continues to use chemical weapons, has entered into a de facto alliance with our terrorist adversary, and is reconstituting his nuclear weapons program.

Above all, America must cease pretending that Muslim rage is something the United States can ignore and avoid or is powerless against or cannot fight over there. We must fight it over there, or be resigned to terrorist attacks over here. Again and again and again.AMEN Freedom with Prayer

IAF strikes Gaza in response to rocket fire

Air force jets attack Hamas training facility in Khan Yunis in retaliation for rocket fired at Israel earlier Friday; attack marks first IAF strike in Gaza since military op.Hamas style cease fire

The Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas training facility in the area of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday night in retaliation for a rocket fired at southern Israel earlier in the day. The attack marks the first time Israel carried out an air strike in the Gaza Strip since Operation Protective Edge ended in August. No injuries were reported.

The IDF spokesperson issued a statement confirming that the IAF hit “terrorist infrastructure” belonging to Hamas’s military wing in the southern Gaza Strip.

A direct hit was detected, the statement said, adding that the “attack constituted a response to the steep trajectory rocket fire towards Israeli territory at the noon time hours.”

Earlier Friday, a Code Red siren was heard shortly before noon in the Eshkol Regional Council, an Israeli community close to the Israel Gaza border, and was soon followed by blasts, residents reported – indicating that a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in Israel.

IDF forces canvassing the area found the rocket in an open area, and no injuries or damage were reported. This is the third time a Gaza rocket has landed on the Israeli side of the border since the end of Israel and Hamas’ 50-day summer war.

The head of the Eshkol Regional Council Haim Yellin warned residents that a diplomatic approach must be taken to restore quiet in southern Israel in a remark after the code red alert this morning, “Whoever thinks that a strong IDF response is the solution for quiet in the Gaza border communities does not understand that wars are decided by politicians, who with courage can bring peace and security. After Operation Protective Edge, the country had an opportunity to establish a long-term arrangement. Instead of this, we found ourselves with a ticking clock until the next escalation and war.”

Ilan Yosef, from the Nir Yitzhak kibbutz located in the Eshkol Regional Council, said the alarm was sounded on the first day of a visit by Jewish-American parents visiting their children who had volunteered to serve in the IDF and were residing in the kibbutz.

“It caused us to jump on our feet, we ran to the shelter. We have American guests who came to visit their children who live with us as part of the Garin Tzabar program. They just arrived today to spend time with their children and we already found ourselves running to the shelter. It was very frightening and not pleasant but we did not hear an explosion and we did not receive any updates regarding a landing,” said Yosef.

Other residents of the Gaza border communities described the ongoing tension that has persisted after the deadly summer war with Hamas: “We knew it and we were waiting for this,” said Roni. “We are returning to the path. We knew it was only temporarily quiet.”Out of Rockets

Anat Hefetz, a resident of Eshkol and member of the Future of the Western Negev organization, said, “Ever since the war ended, we have been waiting for the next war. It was known ahead of time. For four months already nothing has been done to prevent this.”

According to Hefetz, “The war ended – as if – but nothing was done to change the reality. No initiative was taken. We left the area on the other side to be controlled by Hamas. We also feel this as residents. There are always infiltrations, attempts to shoot rockets and false alarms. It does not surprise us.”

Master Faith

In early November another Code Red siren, indicating an incomng rocket from Gaza, was sounded duing morning hours in Israel’s Gaza-border communities. The rocket fell a few meters into Israeli territory inside the Eshkol Regional Council. A few days later, shots were fired towards the Erez border crossing, according to an initial report.

Earlier Friday, Ynet learned that Hamas has begun to renew tunnel construction within Gaza and shifted its military strategy.

According to Palestinian sources in the Strip who spoke to Ynet, after Israel allowed the flow of limited goods and materials into Gaza, a black market for mortar emerged – allowing Hamas to renew construction of concrete slabs used to line the inside of the tunnels.

“Israeli official cites “sunset clause” in proposed comprehensive deal, which guarantees Iran a path into the nuclear club and may corner Israel into war”.

WASHINGTON – Historic negotiations with Iran will reach an inflection point on Monday, as world powers seek to clinch a comprehensive deal that will, to their satisfaction, end concerns over the nature of its vast, decade-old nuclear program.

But reflecting on the deal under discussion with The Jerusalem Post on the eve of the deadline, Israel has issued a stark, public warning to its allies with a clear argument: Current proposals guarantee the perpetuation of a crisis, backing Israel into a corner from which military force against Iran provides the only logical exit.

The deal on the table

World powers have presented Iran with an accord that would restrict its nuclear program for roughly ten years and cap its ability to produce fissile material for a weapon during that time to a minimum nine-month additional period, from the current three months.

Should Tehran agree, the deal may rely on Russia to convert Iran’s current uranium stockpile into fuel rods for peaceful use. The proposal would also include an inspection regime that would attempt to follow the program’s entire supply chain, from the mining of raw material to the syphoning of that material to various nuclear facilities across Iran.

Israel’s leaders believe the best of a worst-case scenario, should that deal be reached, is for inspections to go perfectly and for Iran to choose to abide by the deal for the entire decade-long period.

But “our intelligence agencies are not perfect,” an Israeli official said. “We did not know for years about Natanz and Qom. And inspection regimes are certainly not perfect. They weren’t in the case in North Korea, and it isn’t the case now – Iran’s been giving the IAEA the run around for years about its past activities.”

“What’s going to happen with that?” the official continued. “Are they going to sweep that under the rug if there’s a deal?”

On Saturday afternoon, reports from Vienna suggested the P5+1 – the US, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China and Germany – are willing to stop short of demanding full disclosure of any secret weapon work by Tehran.

Speaking to the Post, a senior US official rejected concern over limited surveillance capabilities, during or after a deal.

Imperial Islamic President Obama“If we can conclude a comprehensive agreement, we will have significantly more ability to detect covert facilities – even after its duration is over – than we do today,” the senior US official said. “After the duration of the agreement, the most intrusive inspections will continue: the Additional Protocol – which encompasses very intrusive transparency, and which Iran has already said it will implement – will continue.”

But compounding Israel’s fears, the proposal Jerusalem has seen shows that mass dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure – including the destruction, and not the mere warehousing, of its parts – is no longer on the table in Vienna.

“Iran’s not being asked to dismantle the nuclear infrastructure,” the Israeli official said, having seen the proposal before the weekend. “Right now what they’re talking about is something very different. They’re talking about Ayatollah Khamenei allowing the P5+1 to save face.”

Officials in the Netanyahu government are satisfied that their ideas and concerns have been given a fair hearing by their American counterparts. They praise the US for granting Israel unprecedented visibility into the process.

But while those discussions may have affected the talks at the margins, large gaps – on whether to grant Iran the right to enrich uranium, or allow it to keep much of its infrastructure – have remained largely unaddressed.

“It’s like the chemical weapons deal in Syria,” the official said. “They didn’t just say: Here, let’s get rid of the stockpile and the weapons, but we will leave all the plants and assembly lines.”

‘Sunset clause’

Yet, more than any single enforcement standard or cap included in the deal, Israel believes the Achilles’ heel of the proposed agreement is its definitive end date – the sunset clause.

“You’ve not dismantled the infrastructure, you’ve basically tried to put limits that you think are going to be monitored by inspectors and intelligence,” said the official, “and then after this period of time, Iran is basically free to do whatever it wants.”Give peace-chance-590-LI

The Obama administration also rejects this claim. By e-mail, the senior US administration official said that, “‘following successful implementation of the final step of the comprehensive solution for its duration, the Iranian nuclear program will be treated in the same manner as that of any non-nuclear weapon state party to the NPT – with an emphasis on non-nuclear weapon.”

“That has in no way changed,” the American official continued, quoting the interim Joint Plan of Action reached last year.

But the treatment of Iran as any other signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty –189 countries are members, including Iran – would allow Tehran to ultimately acquire “an industrial-sized capability,” the Israelis say. “The breakout times [to a nuclear weapon] will be effectively zero.”  Iran

Israel and world powers seek to maximize the amount of time they would have to identify non-compliance from a nuclear deal, should Iran choose to defy its tenets and build a bomb.

But in the deal under discussion in Vienna, Iran would be able to comply with international standards for a decade and, from Israel’s perspective, then walk, not sneak, into the nuclear club.

“You’ve not only created a deal that leaves Iran as a threshold nuclear power today, because they have the capability to break out quickly if they wanted to,” the Israeli official contended. “But you’ve also legitimized Iran as a military nuclear power in the future.”

From the moment this deal is clinched, Israel fears it will guarantee Iran as a military nuclear power. There will be no off ramp, because Iran’s reentry into the international community will be fixed, a fait accompli, by the very powers trying to contain it.

“The statement that says we’ve prevented them from having a nuclear weapon is not a true statement,” the Israeli official continued. “What you’ve said is, you’re going to put restrictions on Iran for a given number of years, after which there will be no restrictions and no sanctions. That’s the deal that’s on the table.”

Revisiting the use of force

Without an exit ramp, Israel insists its hands will not be tied by an agreement reached this week, this month or next, should it contain a clause that ultimately normalizes Iran’s home-grown enrichment program.

On the surface, its leadership dismisses fears that Israel will be punished or delegitimized if it disrupts an historic, international deal on the nuclear program with unilateral military action against its infrastructure.

By framing the deal as fundamentally flawed, regardless of its enforcement, Israel is telling the world that it will not wait to see whether inspectors do their jobs as ordered.

“Ten, fifteen years in the life of a politician is a long time,” the Israeli said, in a vague swipe against the political directors now scrambling in Vienna. “In the life of a nation, it’s nothing.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened the use of force against Iran several times since 2009, even seeking authorization from his cabinet in 2011. Iran’s program has since grown in size and scope.

According to his aides, the prime minister’s preference is not war, but the continuation of a tight sanctions regime on Iran’s economy coupled with a credible threat of military force. Netanyahu believes more time under duress would have led to an acceptable deal. But that opportunity, in his mind, may now be lost.

Whether Israel still has the ability to strike Iran, without American assistance, is an open question. Quoted last month in the Atlantic magazine, US officials suggested that window for Netanyahu closed over two years ago.Israels-Back-590-LI

But responding to claims by that same official, quoted by Jeffrey Goldberg, over Netanyahu’s courage and will, the Israeli official responded sternly: “The prime minister is a very serious man who knows the serious responsibility that rests on his shoulders. He wouldn’t say the statements that he made if he didn’t mean them.”

“People have underestimated Israel many, many times in the past,” he continued, “and they underestimate it now.”

Palestinians celebrate ‘lone-wolf’ attack on Jerusalem synagogue

FoxNews.com / Published November 18, 2014

The brutal killings of four worshippers – including three Americans – in a Jerusalem synagogue Tuesday by two Palestinians wielding meat cleavers and a gun appears to be a lone-wolf attack, Israel’s national police commissioner says.

The violence was met with celebration from Palestinians, as revelers in the Gazan city of Rafah handed out candy and brandished axes and posters of the suspects in praise of the deadly attack, according to the Jerusalem Post. Hamas-affiliated social media also circulated violent and anti-Semitic cartoons hailing the killings.

National Police Commissioner Yochanan Danino told the newspaper that a preliminary investigation of the attack indicates a grassroots, independent effort.

Hamas said the attack was motivated by revenge after a Palestinian bus driver was found hanged in his vehicle earlier in the week, and called for more violence.

But Israeli police believe Youssef al-Ramouni, 32, who was found dead at the start of his bus route on Sunday, committed suicide, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The American citizens killed Tuesday — identified by the State Department as Mosheh Twersky, Aryeh Kupinsky and Cary William Levine — were killed along with a Briton when the assailants, identified as cousins, stormed the building during morning prayers and began attacking people. Police said those killed were all immigrants to Israel and held dual citizenship.

Twersky, the grandson of a renowned rabbi from Boston, Joseph Soloveichik, was the head of Yeshivas Toras Moshe, a religious seminary for English-speaking students.

The Briton was identified as 68-year-old rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, from London, The Telegraph reports.

Eight others were injured — one critically — before the attackers were killed in a shootout with police. The Times of Israel cited witnesses who said the attackers stormed the synagogue, in the ultra-Orthodox Har Nof neighborhood in the western part of Jerusalem, shouting “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is Great,” and creating a horrific scene of bloody carnage.

“I tried to escape. The man with the knife approached me. There was a chair and table between us … my prayer shawl got caught. I left it there and escaped,” a man who identified himself as Yossi, who was praying at the synagogue at the time of the attack, told Israeli Channel 2 TV. He declined to give his last name.

The attack was the deadliest in Israel’s capital since 2008, when a Palestinian gunman shot eight people in a religious seminary school.

Netanyahu vowed that Israel will “respond harshly” to the attack, which he denounced as a “cruel murder of Jews who We Hate Jewscame to pray and were killed by despicable murderers.” U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said he spoke to Netanyahu after the assault and denounced it as an “act of pure terror and senseless brutality and violence.”

Kerry blamed the attack on Palestinian calls for “days of rage,” and said Palestinian leaders must take serious steps to refrain from such incitement. He also urged Palestinian leaders to condemn the attack “in the most powerful terms.”

Hours after Kerry spoke, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the attack, the first time he has done so since a recent spike in deadly violence against Israelis began. He also called for an end to Israeli “provocations” surrounding the sacred site.

In a statement, Abbas’ office said he “condemns the killing of the worshippers in a synagogue in west Jerusalem.” The statement called for an end to the “invasion” of the mosque at a contested holy site in the city and a halt to “incitement” by Israeli ministers. But Hamas, the militant group that runs the Gaza Strip, praised the attack as retaliation for what it claimed was the murder of a Palestinian bus driver who was found hanged in his vehicle late Sunday. Israeli police, citing autopsy results, have classified the man’s death as a suicide, but that has not been accepted by the man’s family.

President Barack Obama said there “can be no justification for such attacks against innocent civilians.”

“The thoughts and prayers of the American people are with the victims and families of all those who were killed and injured in this horrific attack and in other recent violence,” Obama added in a statement Tuesday.Israels-Back-590-LI

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a militant group, said the cousins were members. A PFLP statement did not specify whether the group instructed the cousins to carry out the attack.

Soon after the attack, clashes broke out outside the Abu Jamals’ home, where dozens of police had converged. Residents hurled stones at police who responded using riot dispersal weapons.

Residents in the neighborhood, speaking on condition of anonymity for fears for their own safety, said 14 members of the Abu Jamal family were arrested.

Mohammed Zahaikeh, a social activist in Jabal Mukaber, said one of the relatives of the cousins, Jamal Abu Jamal, was released in a 2011 prisoner swap and re-arrested recently by Israeli police. He did not say why.

Netanyahu has ordered authorities to destroy the homes of the attackers and Palestinians involved in other recent deadly attacks.

Netanyahu announced the directive Tuesday after a meeting with top security officials. He did not say when the demolitions would take place.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said two police officers were among the eight wounded, four of whom were reported in serious condition. He said police were searching the area for other suspects.

Associated Press footage from the scene showed the synagogue surrounded by police and rescue workers following the attack.  Wounded worshippers were being assisted by paramedics and a bloodied meat cleaver lay near the scene of the attack. Initially, police had described the weapons used as knives and axes.

Another witness, identified only as Zohar described panic at the scene.

“I heard shooting and one of the worshipers came out covered in blood and shouted ‘There’s a massacre,'” he told The Times of Israel.

A photo in Israeli media from inside the synagogue showed what appeared to be a body on the floor draped in a prayer shawl, with blood spattered nearby.

Yosef Posternak, who was at the synagogue at the time of the attack, told Israel Radio that about 25 worshippers were inside when the attackers entered.

“I saw people lying on the floor, blood everywhere. People were trying to fight with [the attackers] but they didn’t have much of a chance,” he said.

Jerusalem has seen a spate of attacks by Palestinians against Israelis, most of which have involved cars being driven into pedestrians. At least six people had been killed in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Tel Aviv prior to Tuesday.

Jerusalem residents have already been fearful of what appeared to be lone-wolf attacks, but Tuesday’s early morning attack on a synagogue harks to the gruesome attacks during the Palestinian uprising of the last decade.

Israel’s police chief said Tuesday’s attack was likely not organized by militant groups, similar to other recent incidents, making it more difficult for security forces to prevent the violence.

“These are individuals that decide to do horrible acts. It’s very hard to know ahead of time about every such incident,” Yohanan Danino told reporters at the scene.Christian Persecution

Tensions appeared to have been somewhat defused last week following a meeting between Netanyahu, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Jordan. The meeting was an attempt to restore calm after months of violent confrontations, with Israel and the Palestinians saying they would take steps to reduce tensions that might lead to an escalation.I am from the US Government

The Jerusalem holy site is referred to by Jews as the Temple Mount because of the Jewish temples that stood there in biblical times. It is the most sacred place in Judaism; Muslims refer to it as the Noble Sanctuary, and it is their third holiest site, after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The site is so holy that Jews have traditionally refrained from going there, instead praying at the adjacent Western Wall. Israel’s chief rabbis have urged people not to ascend to the area, but in recent years, a small but growing number of Jews, including ultranationalist lawmakers, have begun regularly visiting the site.

Israel Fears U.S. May Cozy Up to Iran in Fight with Islamic State

Obamacare

Israel on Wednesday voiced support for U.S.-led efforts to form an alliance to fight Islamic State jihadists in Syria and Iraq but expressed concerns of a rapprochement between Washington and Iran.

On the eve of President Obama’s prime-time address on confronting IS, Israel National News reports that Israel’s official position was one of approval. “I praise the American initiative to take action and form a coalition against the Islamic State and hope those efforts will succeed,” Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said in comments broadcast on public radio.

Lieberman’s comments coincided with US Secretary of State John Kerry’s arrival in Baghdad on an unannounced visit at the start of a Middle East tour aimed at building a regional coalition to combat IS, the extremist Sunni militants who have taken over significant territory in both Syria and Iraq. Kerry is not scheduled to visit Israel on his trip.

Yesterday, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon called for greater cooperation between the world’s intelligence agencies in an effort to defeat IS.

Israels-Back-590-LIBut underneath the expressions of unity with America and calls for global cooperation, Israel is concerned that American efforts to build a coalition to fight IS will involve a degree of rapprochement with Iran at a time that the Iranians are widely believed to be developing nuclear weapons.

Deputy Foreign Minister Tzahi Hanegbi, who is close to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, praised the initiative but warned it may signal closer ties between the United States and Iran, which has also pledged to join the struggle.

There could be some kind of flexibility vis-a-vis Iran by the Americans in the fight against IS,” he said.

Israel is anxious about the interim nuclear deal that Washington and other Western powers reached with Tehran last November, which Israel fears is buying the Iranians time to develop their nuclear capabilities.

Those negotiations already passed one deadline in July, but the parties agreed to extend the talks until November 24 to allow more time to reach a historic deal. The new talks are to open in New York ahead of the opening of the UN General Assembly on September 16. Meanwhile, Iranian centrifuges continue to spin.

Israel has refused to rule out military action against Iranian nuclear facilities to prevent the possibility of developing the technology for an atomic bomb. Israel fears that, should the rabidly anti-Israel Iranians cross the nuclear threshold, they will target the Jewish state with nuclear weapons.

Fledgling efforts to combat IS have already placed America and Iran on the same side in Iraq. American airstrikes in Iraq have supported Shia Islamist militias backed by Iran, including during the breaking of the Islamic State’s siege of the Shia town of Amerli last week.

Obama “Enraged” at Israel

Barack Obama “has become ‘enraged’ at the Israeli government, both for its actions and for its treatment of his chief diplomat, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. ”Israels-Back-590-LI

So reports the Jerusalem Post, based on the testimony of Martin Indyk, until recently a special Middle East envoy for the president. The war in Gaza, Mr. Indyk adds, has had “a very negative impact” on Jerusalem’s relations with Washington.Half-Way-590-LI-300x214

Think about this. Enraged. Not “alarmed” or “concerned” or “irritated” or even “angered.” Anger is a feeling. Rage is a frenzy. Anger passes. Rage feeds on itself. Anger is specific. Rage is obsessional, neurotic.I am from the US Government

And Mr. Obama—No Drama Obama, the president who prides himself on his cool, a man whose emotional detachment is said to explain his intellectual strength—is enraged.

With Israel. Which has just been hit by several thousand unguided rockets and 30-odd terror tunnels, a 50-day war, the forced closure of its one major airport, accusations of “genocide” by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, anti-Semitic protests throughout Europe, general condemnation across the world. Obama defending muslims TwoThere has been little notice of the president’s insistent use of the acronym “ISIL” to describe the Sunni forces currently rampaging across Iraq, executing Iraqi military and creating a new massive refugee population in an already unstable area.

With the exception of Reuters and now the Associated Press, most news organizations have not referred to ISIL until President Obama began using the term, which stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. But when Obama used the term 5 times on June13, and 16 times in his commencement speech at West Point on June 19th, he was using his bully pulpit to make a point.

Related: How the Collapse of Iraq Would Affect America

Imperial President ObamaMost, like this publication, continue to use the widely accepted acronym ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or al-Sham, but both describe the same murderous organization. The difference is that the Levant describes a territory far greater than simply Iraq and Syria.  It’s defined as this: The Levant today consists of the island of Cyprus, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and part of southern Turkey.

Why would Obama prefer ISIL? An “army” of that territorial magnitude takes the focus off the two countries that many believe define Obama’s continued failure in the Middle East. Most likely, he would rather eliminate the connection between the chaos in Iraq with his inaction in Syria. Better that the upheaval in a country to which we committed so much blood and treasure remain the fault of George W. Bush. The president has already been tarred with having failed to secure a Status of Forces deal with Prime Minister al-Maliki, which would have allowed a contingent of American troops to stay in Iraq.

Numerous critics warned that sectarian hostilities were inevitably going to worsen under the openly partisan Shiite government; they argued that only by arranging a continuing presence in Iraq would the U.S. have any opportunity to moderate Maliki’s divisive anti-Sunni regime. Instead, the minute U.S. troops left in 2011, Maliki began to shut down and marginalize Shia and Kurd voices, arresting opponents, including Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi.

Related: U.S. Watches As Iraq Speeds Toward Disaster

ConfusedNumerous sources have claimed that Obama purposefully undermined the negotiations over a SOFA, suggesting he wanted to score political points by getting our troops out, no matter the long-term consequences of an overly hasty exit.

Not only has the worsening of sectarian hostilities encouraged the current Sunni uprising, Maliki has also permitted shipments of weapons from Iran to al-Assad’s government in Syria through Iraqi airspace. The Obama administration had early on denied that Maliki was providing this assistance, undermining U.S. interests, until Secretary of State Kerry went to Bagdad to demand an end to such transfers. Presumably, a U.S. presence would have prohibited such access.

President Obama is also criticized for refusing to arm moderate factions in the early days of the Syria uprising, a hesitation Hillary Clinton now says she opposed. Because he dithered, the U.S. lost the opportunity to engage with the less extreme opponents of Bashar Al-Assad. Our absence arguably created a vacuum, into which streamed Al-Qaeda linked extremists, helping create the alliance between Islamic terrorists in Syria and Iraq. Now, across the Middle East, there is fear that extremists will ultimately control Syria.

President Obama was clever to announce that our military advisors would soon be helping Iraq confront the insurgent ISIL; Americans might not be so forgiving about sending more of our best and bravest to help push back ISIS. It’s all in the “message.”

Benjamin Netanyahu: ISIS and Hamas Part of ‘the Same Savagery’

israel
RAFAH (AFP) – Palestinians gather around the rubble of a building destroyed following an Israeli military strike in Rafah on Thursday. Three top Hamas commanders were also killed, inflicting a heavy blow on the movement’s armed wing. Duration: 01:28
At a wide-ranging press conference Wednesday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on the offensive to describe Hamas as part of a network of Islamist terror groups, which include the Islamic State (IS), Hezbollah, and al-Qaeda.

Netanyahu was making an effort to muster greater international support for Israel’s ongoing battle against Gaza’s Hamas rulers.

As reported in The Times of Israel, Netanyahu said that Hamas’s Islamist terror leadership and ISIS “are branches of the same tree.” He noted that “the entire world has been shocked by the atrocities of ISIS. You saw the beheading of an American journalist, [James] Foley. It shows you the barbarism, the savagery of these people.

“Well, we face the same savagery,” Netanyahu went on. “The people who wantonly rocket our cities and How coward terrorist fight number Twowant to conduct mass killings. And when they can, they murder children, teenagers, shoot them in the head. Throw people from the sixth floor — their own people — and use their people as human shields.”

In short, said the Prime Minister, groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, and Islamic Jihad “are the enemies of peace. They are the enemies of Israel. They are the enemies of all civilized countries. And I believe they are the enemies of the Palestinians themselves.”

Netanyahu praised the Obama administration for its support, noting that the U.S. backs Israel’s demand for a demilitarized Gaza.

Netanyahu said the Hamas threat underlined his insistence on a demilitarized West Bank — something he said he has stressed to the U.S. Otherwise, he asked, “Who is going to prevent them manufacturing rockets in Nablus?”

The Islamic State is only half as strong as Hamas, he said, but “look at what it can do” in terms of terrorism. “This was not understood” previously.

Meanwhile, Reuters reports that Israel’s demand for a demilitarized Gaza picked up another ally Wednesday when French President Francois Hollande called on Hamas to be disarmed, after the terror group violated yet another ceasefire with Israel.

“We are at a critical point. France supports the Egyptian mediation,” Hollande told Le Monde in an interview. “Gaza can no longer remain like it is. The objective must be a demilitarization and a lifting of the blockade.”

Hollande called for a demilitarization of Gaza under the auspices of the Palestinian Authority (PA). Hollande’s demand is consistent with the call of the European Union’s foreign ministers, who, last month, released a statement demanding the disarming of Hamas.

  1. Israel cannot let its citizens be attacked and must respond.
  2. The liberal mainstream press invariably supports Hamas, assuming Israel has done some wrong to provoke attacks.
  3. The fight in Afghanistan, Israel, and elsewhere in the world are the same jihad: Islam killing infidels.
  4. Obama’s policies encourage Hamas’ behavior, just as it has encouraged the influx of illegals crossing the southern U.S. border.
  5. The explanation of the leftist association with Hamas is simple: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Palestinians see it as tactic to force long-term cease-fire

author-imageAaron Klein

iccTEL AVIV – The Palestinians have a behind-the-scenes understanding with the Obama administration to use the Palestinian threat of pursuing international war crimes against Israel to force the Jewish state to agree to a long-term cease-fire, according to Egyptian diplomatic sources involved in truce negotiations.

Israel and Egypt view the understanding as a tactic to pressure Israel and not as a serious plan to go to the International Criminal Court, or ICC, the sources said.

Last week, the Palestinians held meetings in Rome to discuss joining the ICC, with the ultimate goal of filing charges against Israel.

“Israel has left us with no other option,” said Riad Malki, the Palestinian foreign minister, speaking at The Hague last week.excuss me

The PA has asked the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations to sign a document agreeing to allow the PA to represent them How coward terrorist fight number Twoat the ICC as “the State of Palestine.”

The news comes as truce talks with Hamas abruptly ended today after rockets were fired at Israel from Gaza Strip just two hours before a 72-hour cease-fire was set to expire.

Hamas, for its part, denied it was behind the attacks, but the terror group warned it will renew its rocket war if truce talks fail.

Israel today amassed forces along the Gaza border, sending a clear signal it is ready to renew its offensive against Hamas if the truce talks indeed fall apart.

Egypt yesterday announced Israel and Hamas agreed to extend a short-term truce to five days while a long-term ceasefire is being negotiated.

A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces told WND: “The IDF remains alert and maintains a high level of preparedness with both defensive capabilities, and striking capabilities in order to address a renewed aggression and will immediately respond to any threat to Israel.”

ISIS Assists Hamas; Their Brotherhood Nexus. Egypt Outlaws Muslim Brotherhood; Obama Empowers Them. What’s Going On? Commentary by Adina Kutnicki.

As ISIS wages a barbaric push across the entire Mid East and beyond, it is easy to forget that their genocidal goals are no different than Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and every Islamic foot soldier, whether Sunni or Shia.

SIGNIFICANTLY, ISIS (aka ISIL) is deeply committed to Hamas and vice versa. So, whereas ISIS exhorts blatant threats to America, rest assured, Hamas is on board. In effect, while Barack HUSSEIN Obama consorts with Hamas’s Brotherhood within his administration, Egypt’s leadership has outlawed the MB and jailed its leadership.

THE question becomes: is it any longer in doubt whose side the POTUS is on, despite this and that rhetoric?

IS terrorists (illustration)
ANYONE who doubts the deep and abiding connections (via their fealty to Shariah law mandated jihad) between the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS – of which Hamas is the Brotherhood’s Egyptian bastard child – must take off their blinders. Forthwith.

AS ISIS (aka ISIL) lays a bloody swathe across the Mid East and Africa, rest assured, America (the rest of the west too, yet America is their foremost target) is not far behind. Pay attention to their own words, they mean every word of it. Paradoxically, while they threaten this and that…

I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established,” Abu Mosa, a spokesman for the terror group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), told VICE Media in a video interview posted online Thursday. “Don’t be cowards and attack us with drones. Instead send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq.”

“We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House,” he added.

don’t be fooled by the following sop The terror group President Barack Obama threatened to strike in Iraq Thursday evening…”

Basically, the Islamist-in-Chief – and his White House surrogates – has no choice but to offer up a pittance of assistance, as mid-terms are looming and the majority of Confusedpublic opinion doesn’t have his back on a multiplicity of fronts, particularly as images of Islamic genocide plays out across their screens. Regardless, he has no interest, nor inclination, in defeating ISIS! Period.

IN fact, if not for Obama Inc., ISIS would not be going from strength to strength. The gory relationship is detailed within.

ADDING horror atop horror, please, don’t veer away…

According to the report, the boy was the son of a founding member of Baghdad’s Anglican church.

The ACNS added:

In an interview today, an emotional Canon Andrew White told ACNS that he christened the boy several years ago, and that the child’s parents had named the lad Andrew after him.

“I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half,” he said. “I baptised his child in my church in Baghdad2. This little boy, they named him after me – he was called Andrew.”

On Sunday, we also reported that ISIS murderers have now taken to burying women and children alive, in addition to systematically beheading Christian children in a campaign of terror and genocide that would make Hitler proud.

Exit questions:

  1. Will Obama ever get off his thumb and take serious action against ISIS?
  2. And will the world ever demand ISIS be held accountable for their crimes against humanity?
  3. And will liberals ever take a stand against the child-murdering barbarians that make up ISIS?

YET, as mentioned above, before Americans/westerners can begin to digest the bulls eyes on their backs, they must understand that ISIS/Al Qaeda (one and the same, a terror tweak here and there) is deeply involved with Hamas’s genocidal war against Israel.

In effect, by clarifying their nexus, one exposes two linchpins: supporting Hamas is akin to supporting ISIS; both are knee deep in plans to destroy America too! Mind you, their symbiotic relationship (“detailed within”) started long before Hamas’s most recent missile war.

FOR the record, ever since ISIS/Al Qaeda et al. gained a foothold into Sinai, they have been terrorizing Israel, even though it was (mostly) kept under wraps. Not only that, if not for the fact that late Prime Minister Menachem Begin handed over the Sinai to secure “peace” with Egypt (a precursor and a precedent for the Oslo Peace/Death Accords), unprecedented in the annals of warfare. Hence, the loser, also the aggressor, was rewarded for their efforts! Fast forward to 34 years and onward, the Sinai has become the LARGEST terror haven, bar none. {side note: under Mubarak’s rule the Sinai was relatively – at least in Mid East terms – stable. Now, recall, the Islamist-in-Chief ordered Mubarak to “GO NOW”…}

As Operation Protective Edge holds in a temporary ceasefire, evidence has come out revealing the extent of the extremist Sunni group Islamic State’s (IS, formerly ISIS) involvement in the terror war against Israel from the Hamas stronghold of Gaza.

Terror organizations associated with IS and Al Qaeda have been proven to be joining the fight against Israel in Gaza, firing rockets on Israeli civilian population centers and attacking IDF troops.

On Sunday the Abdullah Azzam Brigades declared it had fired a Grad missile towards the Israeli town of Mivtahim located near southern Gaza. The announcement comes after similar ones last month by the Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis and Majlis Shura al-Mujahidin organizations.

IS terrorists have already been proven to be active in Gaza in a video uploaded by the group in July, showing them firing rockets on Israel. Perhaps more troubling is a Channel 10 report which on Sunday exposed that in recent months black IS flags have been commonly seen in Arab-Israeli towns in northern and coastal Israel, notably in the cities of Nazareth and Akko.

Since the beginning of Operation Protective Edge on July 8, the IS and Al Qaeda-associated organizations in Gaza have announced the deaths of at least 13 of their terrorists in the fighting against the IDF and Israel.

The 13 include Abdullah Awani al-Fara, Ahmed Omar Abed al-A’al, Jaber Hamdan Abu Jaber, Saeed al-Lahawani, Usa Mohammed al-Sha’ar, Yusuf Jalal Barkat, Hamza Yusuf Muamar, Eyman Abed al-Rauf al-Sheikh, Hamza Halad al-Kadi, Mohammed Hamdan, Rasam Abu A’adra, and Mohammed al-Hamida.

The list repeats Abdullah Awani al-Fara’s name to reach a total of 13, a technique being used rampantly in the manipulation of casualty figures being presented about the operation.

A video posted last Friday shows terrorists of the IS and Al Qaeda affiliated organizations active in Gaza. Masked terrorists can be seen making declarations in front of the black IS flag and firing mortar shells at Israel.

Viewer discretion is advised given that the video contains very graphic imagery of a mutilated child’s body.

LESSON LEARNED: ceding land NEVER paves the way to ultimate peace! Besides, Israel’s leader never know who will succeed the so-called “peacemaker/dealmaker”.

ALAS, the above is a lot to absorb. Sorry…but connecting the geo-political dots – with an emphasis on Islamic/Muslim Brotherhood terror – is this blogger’s specialty.

Anti Christ BARACK-OBAMAADDING to these frightening conclusions, internalize the following: whereas Egypt has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood – placing its leaders on trial and then some – Barack HUSSEIN Obama has ensconced many of their leadership within his administration! More specifically, they are so comfortable in their entrenchment that the Muslim Brotherhood have their own political party in America! But don’t forget this tidbit: Hillary Clinton is deeply implicated with the Muslim Brotherhood, not only while Secertary of State but for many years beforehand.

SO, the fact that the “Freedom and Justice Party” (an oxymoronic name, par excellence) has been dissolved, well, who could have foreseen this…

Egypt Court Dissolves Muslim Brotherhood Party

CAIRO—Egypt’s administrative court on Saturday dissolved the political party of the banned Muslim Brotherhood and ordered its assets liquidated, the state news agency reported.

The decision against the Freedom and Justice Party comes after a recommendation by the court’s advisory panel that noted the party’s leaders had already been accused, and in some cases convicted, of murder and inciting violence.

The recommendation added that the police investigation stated the party headquarters and offices were used to store weapons.

The Middle East news agency said the decision is final.

European Press photo Agency

The court decision is part of a wider crackdown against the group and its members that landed thousands in jail, including many sentenced to death on charges of inciting violence.

The government declared the Brotherhood a terrorist group late last year, accusing it of orchestrating a wave of violence to destabilize the country after the military overthrew President Mohammed Morsi, a Brotherhood member, in the wake of mass protests against him.

The group denies the charges, and has kept up its protests against the government. Mr. Morsi himself is in jail facing a number of charges, including conspiring with foreign groups to destabilize Egypt.

The party was founded by the Brotherhood in 2011 after the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak and it went on to dominate subsequent legislative elections.

The decision comes ahead of new parliamentary elections, the first since Mr. Morsi’s ouster, expected later this year.

In light of all the above, it becomes painfully clear that Obama Inc. is light years behind Egypt – of all places – and is inviting ISIS to attack; in the Mid East, Africa and onto America!

If this wasn’t the case,

Charles appeared on The O’Reilly Factor and responded to a question about Hamas that led him to denounce anti-Semitism in Europe.  And he did it in very harsh – but realistic – terms.charles

Hamas Point of ViewWe agree with his summation of Europe.  The Europeans have not, nor will they ever, get beyond Hitler and his Final Solution.  Anti-Semitism runs riot in Europe, although the Danes are planning a rally that should be interesting, and we’re pretty sure that if they could figure out a way to keep it secret, the EU – not just Germany – would likely reopen Auschwitz and the camps.

We also disagree with his take about American anti-Semitism.  We feel that it’s cut from the same cloth.  On college campuses here, there is the divestiture movement with students and faculty demanding that endowments divest any investment that supports Israel in any way.  And they do it in Hitleresque terms.  Jewish college students don’t feel safe on liberal campuses in liberal states.

Here in the US, the ovens wouldn’t be set up in Kansas or Texas, they’d be running overtime in New York and California.

Why Does Obama Hate IsraelAs a matter of fact, here’s a cartoon (found by our Research Department – Mrs Curmudgeon) that perfectly expresses our feeling about anti-Semitism in the US.

Dennis Prager Israel Video
Obama defending muslims TwoAs Ben Shapiro indicated on CNN Monday evening, leftist mainstream media outlets like CNN have been used as propaganda vessels for Hamas terrorists, vilifying Israel in the public relations war, while propping up the terrorist group at war against America’s only true ally and only democracy in the Middle East.

However, this viral video by popular conservative radio host Dennis Prager, may be just what Israel needs to combat the left’s attempt to make a moral equivalency between a bloodthirsty terrorist organization and a nation trying to defend itself against terrorism.

Prager explains in the video, which has over 3.3 million views on YouTube since it was published on April 28 of this year, that while in graduate school at Columbia ConfusedUniversity’s School of International Affairs, where he took many courses on Middle East conflict, he was taught the narrative that it was “the most complex conflict in the world.”

“It may be the hardest to solve, but it is easiest to explain. In a nutshell, it’s this: One side wants the other side dead.”

“Israel want to exist as a Jewish state and to live in peace,” Prager continued. “Israel also recognizes the right of Palestinians to have their own state and to live in peace,” he explained.

“The problem, however, is that most Palestinians and many other Muslims and Arabs do not recognize the right of the Jewish state of Israel to exist,” Prager asserted.

Later, Prager provides a historical backdrop, stating that “there was never a state in the geographic area known as Palestine that was not Jewish,” and that, “Israel is the third Jewish state to exist in that area.”

“There was never an Arab state, never a Palestinian state, never a Muslim, or any other state. That’s the issue! Why can’t the one Jewish state the size of El Salvador, be allowed to exist.”

“That’s the Middle East problem,” Prager concluded.

Barack Obama: Israel’s most dangerous enemy

Roger L. Simon calls president, secretary of state ‘oblivious to the obvious’

By Roger L. Simon

Imperial President ObamaBarack Obama is apparently very angry with Bibi Netanyahu.

We have known for some time, via hot-mic and other methods, that neither he nor his secretary of state much care for the Israeli prime minister. But – perhaps exacerbated by a multiplicity of foreign and domestic policy failures, plus atrocious poll numbers, including a recent CNN poll showing Romney beating him handily were the election held today – Obama seemed more irked than usual.

He needed someone to beat up since the world was beating him up. And the Israelis had just hugely embarrassed his secretary of state (and by extension, him) by pointing out their absurd bias in favor of Hamas in cease-fire negotiations, so absurd in fact that they outraged even Israel’s most famous liberal/left politician, Tzipi Livni, who would normally do almost anything for a chance for peace. (Ironically, the details of the pro-Hamas negotiations in which Israeli security concerns – the tunnels, demilitarization, etc. – were ignored were exposed by Barak Ravid in Israel’s most liberal newspaper, Haaretz.)

Further, they had outraged the Egyptians, who were dumped from the negotiations Why Does Obama Hate Israelby Obama and Kerry in favor of Turkey and Qatar. Our administration seems to have a preference for the more extreme Islamist/Muslim Brotherhood societies, although you would think, given their professed loyalty to women’s and gay rights, these cultures would be anathema to them. Never mind. Obama is an equal opportunity narcissist and everything’s fine, unless you cross him.

Which, according to sources in Israel, is where Netanyahu found himself when the American president called to admonish him about Gaza. Obama reportedly used or implied the threat of withholding the resupply of weapons – don’t know if this includes the Iron Dome itself – if Israel didn’t fall into line and stop attacking Gaza immediately.

What Obama was doing, in effect, was saving Hamas. It’s almost mind-boggling to think, but it’s true.

The standard excuse is that if Hamas is obliterated, what replaces it will be even worse. Oh, really? ISIS or similar may be waiting in the wings to step in, but it’s doubtful if Israel (given its huge 87 percent public support for the current war) will ever let something like that happen, at least in the near future.

That is, if Israel is allowed to finish the job. Obviously, Obama is doing everything he can to make sure it’s otherwise. Part of this may stem from Hate America and Hate Israelhis deep-seated identification with the Third World, some from a buried (agnostic’s version) sympathy for Islam and some may be merely personal or fashionably anti-Semitic (see the Khalidi Tapes … oops, sorry, they’re stuck in a vault at the L.A. Times), but it’s very much there. Obama may be on the rocks, but he’s quite willing to take us all – and I mean the global all – down with him.

In the final analysis, he may be seizing on Israel-bashing as a way to distract from his failures and resurrect his reputation as a “good man.” No more callous behavior toward dead or dying veterans, no more endless lies about Obamacare, no more blindness as ISIS runs roughshod over Syria and Iraq, or Libya (his supposed triumph) turns into a giant Islamist nightmare, not to mention armies of illegal immigrants streaming over our borders in numbers no one could conceivably count and with missions no one could possibly guess.

No, it’s all Israel’s fault. See how the Jews over-reacted, killing all those innocent Arab children. How coward terrorist fight number Two

In this, of course, he will have the eager compliance of the mainstream media, who are loathe to show what Hamas really is and only reluctantly report the unprecedented lengths Israel goes not to harm civilians. But for those who are still undecided, this video (** PLEASE SEE THE VIDEO ARTICLE BELOW)– never shown on CBS or NBC, I can assure you – demonstrates exactly how Hamas deals with those who try to heed Israel’s alerts and save themselves (WARNING: HORRIFIC).

That is the Hamas Barack Obama is trying to save. Morally challenged, he and Kerry are oblivious to the obvious – that only a total victory by Israel over Hamas can save the miserable lives of the Gaza Palestinians.

Fortunately, if Obama follows through on his threats, veiled or otherwise, about restricting Israeli arms, he and his party will probably suffer mightily for it in November. Unfortunately, that is not near punishment enough.

PJ Media has been running non-stop stories on the terrorist crisis in Gaza, including our recent photo essay, “14 ways Hamas weaponizes women, children, animals against Israel” and our recent look at how “Hamas boasted about its capture of IDF soldier … then backtracked 4 times.”

Netanyahu to U.S.: Don’t second guess me on Hamas

Netanyahu says he should be ‘trusted’ on these issues, according to sources. | AP Photo

By ASSOCIATED PRESS | 8/2/14 7:12 AM EDT

Half-Way-590-LI-300x214WASHINGTON — Following the quick collapse of the cease-fire in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the White House not to force a truce with Palestinian militants on Israel.

Sources familiar with conversations between Netanyahu and senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry, say the Israeli leader advised the Obama administration “not to ever second guess me again” on the matter. The officials also said Netanyahu said he should be “trusted” on the issue and about the unwillingness of Hamas to enter into and follow through on cease-fire talks.

The Obama administration on Friday condemned “outrageous” violations of an internationally brokered Gaza cease-fire by Palestinian militants and called the apparent abduction of an Israeli soldier a “barbaric” action.

The strong reaction came as top Israeli officials questioned the effort to forge the truce, accusing the U.S. and the United Nations of being naive in assuming the radical Hamas movement would adhere with its terms. The officials also blamed the Gulf state of Qatar for not forcing the militants to comply.

With the cease-fire in tatters fewer than two hours after it took effect with an attack that killed two Israeli troops and left a third missing, PresidentIsraels-Back-590-LI Barack Obama demanded that those responsible release the soldier.

Obama and other U.S. officials did not directly blame Hamas for the abduction. But they made clear they hold Hamas responsible for, or having influence over, the actions of all factions in the Gaza Strip. The language was a distinct change from Thursday when Washington was focused on the deaths of Palestinian civilians.

“If they are serious about trying to resolve this situation, that soldier needs to be unconditionally released as soon as possible,” Obama told reporters. He added that it would be difficult to revive the cease-fire without the captive’s release.

“It’s going to be very hard to put a cease-fire back together again if Israelis and the international community can’t feel confident that Hamas can follow through on a cease-fire commitment,” he said. His comment reflected uncertainty in the U.S. and elsewhere that Hamas was actually responsible for the incident or if some other militant group was to blame.

At the same time, Obama called the situation in Gaza “heartbreaking” and repeated calls for Israel to do more to prevent Palestinian civilian casualties.

Why Does Obama Hate IsraelDespite the collapse of the truce, Obama credited Kerry for his work with the United Nations to forge one. He lamented criticism and “nitpicking” of Kerry’s attempts and said the effort would continue.

Kerry negotiated the truce with U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon in a marathon session of phone calls over several days while he was in India on an official visit. Kerry had spent much of the past two weeks in Egypt, Israel, the West Bank and France trying to mediate a cease-fire with Qatar and Turkey playing a major role because of their close ties with Hamas.

Those efforts failed with Israel saying it could not trust Hamas and some Israelis and American pro-Israel groups complaining that the U.S. was treating the group — a foreign terrorist organization as designated by the State Department — as a friend.

Late Thursday, however, Israel accepted Kerry and Ban’s latest proposal, despite its reservations. Once the truce was violated, though, Israeli officials hit out at not only Hamas, but the United States and Qatar for its failure.

An Israeli official said the Netanyahu government viewed both Hamas and Qatar as having violated the commitment given to the U.S. and the U.N. and that it expected the international community to take practical steps as part of a “strong and swift response,” especially regarding the return of We Hate Jewsthe abducted soldier.

In a phone call with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro, Netanyahu vented his anger, according to people familiar with the call.

Netanyahu told Shapiro the Obama administration was “not to ever second-guess me again” and that Washington should trust his judgment on how to deal with Hamas, according to the people. Netanyahu added that he now “expected” the U.S. and other countries to fully support Israel’s offensive in Gaza, according to those familiar with the call. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter by name.

They said Netanyahu made similar points to Kerry, who himself denounced the attack as “outrageous,” saying it was an affront to assurances to respect the cease-fire given to the United States and United Nations, which brokered the truce.

Hate speech from the pulpit: Chicago preacher calls for jihad against Israel [VIDEO]

In case you missed it, “the Internal Revenue Service has settled a lawsuit brought by a secular activist group (FFRF), reportedly agreeing to adopt standards for determining and investigating whether churches and religious organizations have violated restrictions on political activity. The precise terms of the settlement are still unclear, as is how the IRS will amend its policies to enforce tax law on churches in a way that is palatable to the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), which has long decried “rogue political churches.”

Well, I’d like to submit to FFRF and the IRS a recommendation for determination and investigation about blatant “political activity” emanating form a pulpit in Chicago (imagine that, Chicago).

As reported by the Times of Israel, “An American Muslim preacher has been calling for jihad against Israel, amid the Jewish state’s war with Hamas in Gaza, in his weekly Friday sermons at a Chicago mosque.”

What is going on in Chicago? I mean Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, Jesse Jackson, Tony Rezko. And I assume FFRF and the IRS will probably reject my recommendation because, well, technically, it’s not a church, it’s a mosque — well, an Islamic center. And it wasn’t on Sunday, but Friday, so I am quite sure FFRF will grant a waiver.

I hope you’ll take a few moments to watch this clip.

imam

Christian PersecutionIn the video clip released on Thursday, Sheik Mohamed Elimam can be seen declaring that “global Zionism is unadulterated evil besetting all people,” and “Oh, those of you who want to wage jihad for the sake of Allah, Palestine is calling you and Gaza is crying out for your help,” according to the translation by MEMRI, which posted the video. “If you are true believers, real mujahideen, hasten to Palestine.” Elimam appeared to call for the removal of the Jewish state from the Middle East.

Now, I just gotta tell ya, that sure does seem like “political activity” to me — whaddya think?

But not just political activity, this fella isn’t delivering a sermon about saving anyone’s soul — kinda like what I am used to. He’s advocating killing souls. Now isn’t that incitement to violence and a hate crime? Oops, forgot, this is the new “protected class” — really mad Muslim jihadists and angry 05this Mullah or Imam are just exercising their First Amendment rights of free speech, freedom of religion, and the free exercise thereof.

So will FFRF investigate this Imam? Methinks not, because they just want to wage their own little war against Christians. Furthermore, it would require them to have some courage to go after these guys — and you all know that is not happening. I presume FFRF will excuse this radical jihadist sermon and, yes, apologize and sympathize.

Sheik Elimam is clear in his desires, but historically inaccurate, “This enemy was planted in the Confusedmidst of the Arab nation, and they chose Jerusalem, Palestine, the most important area – in order to be a thorn in the side of the Arab and Islamic nations,” he said. “May Allah pull this thorn out, and stick it down their [Western] throats. May they be sent back to their countries in shame and disgrace, Allah willing.”

I wonder what will be the topic of his sermon this Friday?
