Late-night talk show host Bill Maher on Friday criticized liberals for defending Muslim refugees without acknowledging they embrace values that are at odds with American societal values. Citing a poll showing 53 percent of Americans believed Syrian refugees have values that are at odd with American values, Mr. Maher said, “that may not be wrong.”

“If you are in this religion, you probably do have values that are at odds,” he said, Mediaite reported. “This is what liberals don’t want to recognize.”

He argued that many refugees may come from place that have Sharia law or want to invoke Sharia law and pointed to cases in the U.K. where Muslim immigrants have carried out brutal traditions such as female genital mutilation and honor killings, forsaking Western values.

“This idea that somehow we do share values that all religions are alike is bull–-,” Mr. Maher said, Mediaite reported.

Canadian author and politician Chrystia Freeland strongly disagreed with Mr. Maher, arguing that the Paris attacks should be a rallying call for the West to stand up for diversity in the face of the Islamic State terrorist group’s attempts to create fear.

“We are not going to say that Muslims are worse than Jews or are worse than Christians or atheists,” Ms. Freeland said.

“Not as people, the ideas are worse,” Mr. Maher shot back.

“No and their culture is not worse, and we also appreciate that ISIL does not represent Muslims,” Ms. Freeland said, using an acronym for the Islamic State. “And it’s now more important than ever to say that and to stand up for diversity.”

Sen. Angus King, Maine independent, said that he agreed that the U.S. needs to stand up for American values and not tolerate behavior that is not normally accepted in Western culture, but said the Islamic State wants “to get us to clamp down on all Muslims regardless of who they are where they are and push them into the ISIS camp.”

Ms. Freeland argued that you can’t change extreme Islamic perspective by broadly saying Muslim ideas are bad, to which Mr. Maher retorted that he was trying to stand up for moderate Muslims by having a debate about Islam’s extremist ideologies.

“Killing women for being raped, I would say is a bad idea,” Mr. Maher said, Mediaite reported.

Navy SEAL takes on Hundreds of Islamic State Muslims – Dies Defending Christian Village in Iraq

A US Navy SEAL has been killed in the Iraqi town of Tel Asqof. He was serving as an advisor to the Kurdish Peshmerga when he was killed during an Islamic State assault “on a Peshmerga position approximately three to five kilometers behind the forward line of troops,” according to a Pentagon press statement.

RT reports:

US Defense Secretary Ash Carter says an American service member has been killed in Iraq. A statement from the US-led forces in Iraq added the fatality was “a result of enemy fire.”

“It is a combat death, of course. And a very sad loss,” the senior official told reporters at a press conference in Germany.

The death of the SEAL was also announced via the Operation Inherent Resolve Twitter account:

Theodore Shoebat elaborated on the fight and the death of the SEAL.

“Four hundred Muslims attacked the Christian village of Teleskof in Iraq, and one American Navy SEAL fought them off to protect his fellow Christians,” Shoebat wrote. “This is a story of true valor and honor. He was in the village to assist local Kurdish fighters, but he most definitely was there to defend his brethren against the Muslim heretics. According to reports, the firefight was very intense. The terrorists, all ISIS members, commenced the attack by sending in two suicide bombers who detonated themselves upon entering the village. As the fight was occurring, a Muslim sniper aimed at the SEAL and shot him, and he is now a martyr.”

Shoebat also included video footage from a distance of some of the fight that took place in Tel Asqof and commented, “The people who made the film above were a part of Dwekh Nasha, a Christian militia who has been fighting ISIS. We at Shoebat.com actually interviewed the one who trained Dwekh Nawsha and transformed it into a serious fighting force. His name is Brett Felton.”

His efforts have not gone unnoticed. Other Americans’ efforts have been vital in helping the Peshmerga against the Islamic State and saving their people, while at the same time living out and presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Peshmerga have stepped in to fill the gap that was left by the cowardly Iraqi military, who left US supplied weapons and Humvees for the Islamic State to capture when they were being overrun.

While Reuters reported that there have been attempts to penetrate Peshmerga lines by vehicles laden with explosives and suicide bombers, The New American reminds us of why this is an issue.

Though Saddam was certainly no humanitarian, the thousands of Christians and other minorities who have fled Mosul and surrounding areas for a safe haven in Kurdistan to escape from ISIS were allowed to live peacefully under his regime.

It is safe to say that, had the United States left Saddam Hussein in place, ISIS would never have gained such dominance in the region.

The interventionist foreign policy that began under George W. Bush was continued under Barack Obama, compounding the problem. As was noted in an article posted by The New American on June 15, 2014: “Over the last week, al-Qaeda-linked jihadists styling themselves the ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIS) receiving weapons and taxpayer funding from the Obama administration in Syria have seized control in wide swaths of Iraq.”

Our government continues to spend money and lives in Iraq and Syria as we write, and this latest death of a brave American will surely not be the last.

The May 3^rd death of the SEAL is the third combat casualty since Obama unconstitutionally redeployed US troops back into Iraq in 2014.

If ISIS Came to Your Town Would You Convert to Islam?

You might expect a group of teenagers to say they’d stand up to the Islamic State and refuse to convert. But what would you do if push came to shove?

So here’s the scenario.

A teacher in Italy taught her class of 13-year olds all about the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). At the end of the project she asked her 25 students what they would do if the Islamic State took over their town. All but two reportedly said they would convert to Islam.

It’s somewhat tragic that a mix of classroom education and possibly some media exposure to ISIS barbarism would suck the bravado out of all the kids, other than two die-hard Catholics. But that’s the effect of the threats and actions of ISIS.

In every generation, there are the brave few who stand up to fight against one evil scourge or another, despite the likely great personal sacrifice.

In the Massacre of Verden in 782, Charlemagne is said to have killed 4,500 captive Saxons who rebelled against forced conversion to Roman Catholicism.

Legend has it that the Souliot women in the village of Zalongo in 1803 in Epirus danced and sang as they killed their own babies before committing suicide rather than facing capture by Ottoman-Albanian ruler Ali Pasha and all that would have followed.

In our own generation, Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho, the deceased leader of the Chaldean Catholic church in northern Iraq, said:

“We, Christians of Mesopotamia, are used to religious persecution and pressures by those in power. After Constantine, persecution ended only for Western Christians, whereas in the East, threats continued. Even today we continue to be a church of martyrs.”

But these, likely, are the minority. It’s why they are idolized in popular culture, looked up to for having the gumption to do what most of us could never actually carry out.

Should ISIS come to your town, install a caliphate(1), impose strict sharia(2) law, implement severe punishments and tell you anyone failing to convert to Islam would be executed, what would you do?

Would you stand up and be counted? Would you put your life on the line to fight the curse that is Islamist extremism? This is already a dilemma facing the brave Yazidi and Christian souls in the Middle East, as you can see in our soon-to-be-released movie Faithkeepers.

There are many ways you can act today to try to prevent the spread of these ideas, to try to help insure martyrs such as Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho are among the last to die for standing up to ISIS.

One in Ten Islamic State Recruits Wants to Become Suicide Bomber

Recovered documents from the Islamic State terror group reveal that more than one in ten of their recruits would like to become suicide bombers.

A group of analysts at West Point who spent many hours sifting through thousands of leaked documents have found that 12 percent of Islamic State recruits are open to making the ultimate sacrifice as suicide bombers.

In March, German intelligence obtained a cache of Islamic State documents, revealing the names of 22,000 ISIS fighters including many foreign recruits hailing from Europe, Australia and the United States. The documents were reportedly leaked by a former Free Syrian Army fighter who switched over to fight for the Islamic State.

The leaked files reveal that some 10 percent of the militants hail from Western countries, with 128 jihadists from France, 80 from Germany and 57 from the UK.

The most common countries of provenance, however, were Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, with 797 and 640 recruits respectively.

Germany’s interior minister, Thomas de Maizière, confirmed the authenticity of the documents and their usefulness for counterterrorism forces. Maizière said the discovery would facilitate “speedier, clearer investigations and stricter prison sentences” for fighters returning from Syria and Iraq. He also said that the documents help elucidate “the underlying structures of this terrorist organization.”

The files contain the names, nationalities, addresses, telephone numbers and other personal details of jihadists who joined the terrorist network in 2013 and 2014. According to the analysts, two thirds of the ISIS recruits are between the ages 21 and 30, though ages range from the teens all the way to a 70-year-old father of five from Kyrgyzstan.

The analysts said the find was the largest and “most significant” document cache of its kind, and furnished new insight into the terror group’s ambitions, structure and recruitment.

“The largest takeaway from these documents is the massive diversity of the population,” Brian Dodwell, deputy director of the Combating Terrorism Center at U.S. Military Academy at West Point. The only thing all the recruits had in common was their deep attachment to Islam.

“We’re talking about very diverse backgrounds from an education perspective — individuals who list their education as none up to those who listed their educations as PhDs, masters degrees, MBAs … Everything from laborers to doctors and lawyers,” Dodwell said.

Questionnaires filled out by new recruits contained a variety of queries, including whether they wanted to be a regular fighter or a suicide bomber or suicide fighter. Given the options, approximately 12 percent checked the box for martyrdom. Do you want

This percentage of willing martyrs is reportedly lower than from among the foreign fighters who joined Al Qaeda in Iraq in 2006 and 2007, more than half of whom volunteered to blow themselves up.

“While they do need some suicide bombers, if all of their troops selected into the suicide category who would be left to fill that conventional army? Who would be left to serve as the Sharia officials, the police or the administrative?” Dodwell said.

“They’re selling this narrative of victory and sustaining… Many of these individuals it would seem are buying into that message and are going into there to live — not die.”

ISIS is planning more massacres for this summer in Europe — and the newly revealed targets are something that should have people worried. They are even planning to use sick disguises at these locations.

ISIS is planning terror attacks across Europe this summer, targeting holidaying tourists by posing as ice cream and T-shirt sellers, Italian intelligence chiefs have warned. German media reports that ISIS is sending jihadists to pretend to sell refreshments before detonating suicide vests and bombs buried under sun loungers at Spanish, French and Italian resorts.

The BND – Germany’s equivalent of MI6 – learned from its Italian counterpart of the ISIS plots to bring bloodshed to holiday resorts, popular daily newspaper BILD said on Tuesday. According to the report the Italians were informed of the terror plans from a credible source in Africa. They say the would-be killers had formed ‘concrete plans’ to pose as refugees serving tourists with drinks and snacks or hawking beach accessories and T-shirts. BILD said the plans involve the use of automatic weapons on crowded waterfronts, suicide bombings and explosive devices buried in sand beneath sun loungers.

ISIS-related mobilization in America is unprecedented.

According to a recent in-depth report from George Washington University, ISIS In America, From Retweets to Raqqa, ISIS suspects and recruits are in at least 26 states in America.

As of Fall, 2015, there were roughly 250 Americans who were documented to have traveled or attempted to travel to Syria/Iraq to join the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

There are currently 900 active investigations against ISIS sympathizers in all 50 states. Since March, 2014:

71 people have been charged for ISIS-related activities
56 were arrested in 2015 alone– a record number of terrorism-related arrests for any year since 9/11.
The majority charged are male (86 percent) and 26 years old.

They were caught in 21 states, in which

 51 percent traveled or attempted to travel abroad,
 27 percent were involved in plots to carry out attacks on U.S. soil,
 55 percent were arrested in an operation involving an informant and/or an undercover agent.

As part of the University’s Program on Extremism, the researchers reviewed more than 7,000 pages of legal documents detailing ISIS-related legal proceedings. These included “criminal complaints, indictments, affidavits, and courtroom transcripts. Supplemented by original research and interviews with prosecutors, reporters, and, in some select cases, families of the charged individuals, the Program developed a snapshot of the 84 individuals who have been charged for various ISIS-related activities.”

GW’s report is two-fold:

The report, ISIS in America: From Retweets to Raqqa consists of two parts. The first examines all cases of U.S. persons arrested, indicted, or convicted in the United States for ISIS-related activities. A wide array of legal documents related to these cases provides empirical evidence for identifying several demographic factors related to the arrested individuals. This section also looks at the cases of other Americans who, while not in the legal system, are known to have engaged in ISIS-inspired behavior.

The second part of the report examines various aspects of the ISIS-related mobilization in America. Here the report analyzes the individual motivations of ISIS supporters; the role of the Internet and, in particular, social media, in their radicalization and recruitment processes; whether their radicalization took place in isolation or with other, like-minded individuals; and the degree of their tangible links to ISIS. It concludes with recommendations to combat ISIS recruitment.

The researchers uncovered that American ISIS supporters are not homogenous. They represent a range of ethnicity, socio-economic and educational backgrounds.

The GW report is one of the largest online collections of legal records of ISIS radicalization and recruitment in the United States.

The Program on Extremism identified roughly 300 American and/or U.S.-based ISIS sympathizers who are active on social media, spread propaganda, and interact with like-minded peers. As the report indicates the “online echo chamber eventually make the leap from keyboard warriors to actual militancy.”

ISIS sympathizers in America primarily use Twitter. The program identified user accounts that generate primary content, retweet material, or promote newly created accounts of suspended users. The range of U.S.-based sympathizers who are involved with or promoting ISIS varies from those who are inspired by ISIS’s message to those become leaders of social media groups.

The GW report, one of the largest online collections of legal records of ISIS radicalization and recruitment in the United States, is well worth the read.

It reveals the extent to which Obama and others have allowed a steady infiltration of Islamists into the country, a clear and present danger, and national emergency, that is largely unreported and ignored.

Yes, they really do want to take over the world

If we think it’s just ISIS who wishes for an Islamic caliphate – think again. There is yet another who call on the followers of the “religion of peace” to form another Islamic state, governed only by Shariah law.

On Aug. 12, 2007, 100,000 Muslims gathered in Jakarta, Indonesia, to call for the return of the caliphate. It was one of the largest political gatherings of Muslims ever to have taken place. The event was organized by the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT), whose stated intention is to create a new caliphate encompassing the “Muslim world.”

A key speaker,Dr Imran Waheed,was refused entry to Jakarta due his ties to terrorism and forced to deliver his speech by video link. Where does the good doctor live? Oh, he’s a psychiatrist living in England – too radical for Jakarta, but evidently not for politically correct England.

Every year since khilafah conferences have been held worldwide. They are also held here in America – right under our noses.

Hizb ut-Tahrir, Arabic for “Party of Liberation,” is an international organization that seeks to establish a global Islamic caliphate. Established in Jerusalem in 1953, HT claims to be a political organization “whose ideology is Islam.” A closer look at the group’s ideology and international activity reveals that HT not only promotes Islam as a way of life, but is also fundamentally opposed to capitalism and democracy and is explicitly hostile toward Israel and Jews. Their official flag is the black flag of jihad, flown by many terrorist organizations.

HT America held its first major event in the U.S., a conference entitled “Fall of Capitalism and Rise of Islam,” at the Hilton in Oak Lawn, Illinois, on July 19, 2009. It’s pretty clear what their mission is. No ambiguity there – and at the Hilton no less.

muslim-obama But none would be more indicative of its true beliefs than HT America’s 2011 khilafah conference, titled, “Revolution in the Muslim World: From Tyranny to Triumph,” on June 26, 2011. In the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook, Illinois, speakers at the conference focused on HT’s larger agenda of establishing a global Islamic caliphate, which entails ousting existing governments.

Illinois must be so proud to play host to such distinguished events.

So there can be no doubt where they stand, one session at the 2011 conference, titled “Breaking the Shackles,” gave voice to the organization’s idea that capitalist and nationalist systems of the West are “enemies to Islam,” and the only solution is for a unified Islamic state to replace such systems with “the rule of Allah,” Shariah and the Sunnah.

The last two 2011 sessions, “Shaking the Thrones” and “Life Under the Khilafah,” examined the state of suffering the unmah (Arabic for community or nation) and Islam have fallen into since the abolition of the Ottoman Caliphate, and how everyday life will be governed once Islamic law is implemented worldwide with the rise of a new caliphate. One of the speakers, identified as Abu Atallah, emphasized that the rise of the caliphate would mean that borders become obsolete, nationalist ideology would be abandoned and Muslims would control the military.

The meeting ended with organizers stressing the importance of pushing forward for a unified Islamic state and that the “Quran is a message for all mankind and a solution to all of man’s problems.” This was detailed in a pamphlet, “Khilafah State Structure: Introduction to the Constitution,” that was handed out during the conference.

A few of the more pertinent articles of their constitution are as follows. (I could see James Madison authoring these – or maybe Abdullah Madison):

Article 1 states that ‘aqeedah (Islamic creed) will be the sole basis of the State’s foundation. The government’s structure in its entirety can only exist if it is from the Islamic ‘aqeedah.

Article 7 describes that the State will be charged with implementing “divine law”; therefore those “guilty of apostasy (desertion) from Islam are to be executed according to the rule of apostasy.”

In the “Army” section, Article 56 states, “Jihad is a compulsory duty for all Muslims. Military training is therefore compulsory. Thus, every male Muslim, 15 years and over, is obliged to undergo military training in readiness for jihad.” Does this sound just like our Constitution, or what?

Articles 108-118 describe the social system of the caliphate, which would strictly enforce gender segregation between the two sexes, and while women will have the same rights and obligations as men, a woman’s primary role “is that of a mother and wife,” and she may not hold any positions of power within the structure of governance.

With regards to Israel and the caliphate’s policy toward the Jewish state, Section 4 states that there can be no peace, and that “a state of war must be taken as the basis for all dispositions with them. They must be dealt with as if a rear war existed between us – whether an armistice exists or not.” Hear that, all you idiot politicians in Washington?!

At the 2009 conference, Abdul-Adil also urged the audience to never “stop calling for Islam as a complete way of life … unless and until Islam becomes victorious or we die in the attempt.” During a question and answer session following his presentation, Abdul-Adil was asked if Shariah, or Islamic law, would trump the U.S. Constitution. “Yes, it would be gone,” Abdul-Adil replied. This ISIS Camp Is Only 8 Miles Outside The U.S. Border

Judicial Watch recently uncovered the reality that ISIS is in Mexico, just eight miles south of El Paso, Texas and Columbus, New Mexico– and they have help from the Mexican drug cartels. While the exact location is unknown, the area is referred to as “Anapra,” west of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Anapra is controlled by the drug cartel, Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel (“Juárez Cartel”) and its “enforcement arm,” La Línea, and the Barrio Azteca gang, which ironically originated from El Paso jails.

And Ciudad Juárez is not the only location. West of it is another ISIS camp located in Puerto Palomas. The first group is training to target El Paso; the second, to target Columbus and Deming, New Mexico. Judicial Watch reports:

During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1^st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.

According to these same sources, ‘coyotes’ engaged in human smuggling – and working for Juárez Cartel – help move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, New Mexico. To the east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed ‘coyotes’ are also smuggling ISIS terrorists through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas. These specific areas were targeted for exploitation by ISIS because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing.

Former CIA agent Bob Baer also confirmed that ISIS cells are already in the U.S., and some of members have already entered by crossing the Mexican border.

And, that’s just inside Mexico’s borders.

Crossing the border, is also a grave concern for U.S. national security. Syrian nationals have been caught illegally entering America via Mexico. Breitbart News cited two unnamed federal agents who said several Syrians were intercepted at the Juarez Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas. While the U.S. Border Patrol has yet to confirm this report, National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 President Hector Garza did confirm that he was also receiving similar reports from multiple agents. He told Breitbart:

ISIS launches chemical weapons attack on Syria’s airbase in Deir Ez-zor – report

Islamic State (IS, previously ISIS/ISIL) militants have reportedly used poisonous gas in an attack on a Syrian military airbase located in Deir Ez-zor, the largest city in the eastern part of the country, RIA Novosti cited a military source as saying.

UPDATE: RT sources in the Syrian military have denied Islamic State used poisonous mustard gas in the attack on Deir Ez-zor airbase. The son of General Issam Zahreddine, who is in charge of the Deir ez-Zor division, has said no chemical weapons were used in the attack.

“The Daesh [derogatory Arabic name for IS] militants attacked the military airfield in Deir Ez-zor with shells containing a poisonous chemical substance. The defenders of the airbase have reported that a number of soldiers were choking,” the source said.

This latest report adds weight to previous evidence implicating IS in using various forms of poisonous gas to attack targets. Kurdish deputies in the Turkish parliament have previously accused Turkey of supplying Islamic State and other jihadist groups inside Syria with chemical weapons to fight the Syrian government. In an interview with RT, a spokesman for the Kurdish YPG militia said that Turkey had provided a clear transit route for the chemical weapons that were deployed against them near the city of Aleppo in early March.

Anti-government militants “took advantage of the ceasefire” to launch attacks against a Kurdish-controlled area near Aleppo in northern Syria, Redur Xelil told RT. “Our sources inside the rebel groups have confirmed that toxic substances were used.”

In early March, Reuters cited local Iraqi governor Najmuddin Kareem as saying that Islamic State fighters had used “poisonous substances” during the shelling of the village of Taza, which is located in northern Iraq.

More than 40 people suffered from partial chocking and skin irritation after mortar shells and Katyusha rockets filled with “poisonous substances” exploded in the mainly Shia Turkmen village.

Moreover, back in February, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirmed reports that IS had been using chemical weapons against Kurdish forces in northern Iraq throughout 2015.

The OPCW also concluded in October that mustard gas had been deployed in neighboring Syria in 2015. Moreover, a more recent publication compiled by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) states that 161 attacks involving poisonous or asphyxiating agents, such as sarin, chlorine, and mustard gas, have been committed since the beginning of the Syrian civil war in 2011, killing at least 1,491 people.

Under the 1949 Geneva Convention, such attacks constitute war crimes against humanity. Yet, despite a 2013 resolution passed by the UN mandating the destruction of poisonous gas stockpiles, they have continued.

The Syrian government gave up its own supply of chemical weapons under international supervision after hundreds of civilians were killed by sarin nerve gas in a Damascus suburb in 2013. Western countries pointed the finger at President Bashar Assad for that atrocity, though his government has steadfastly denied the allegations.

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg: ‘Love’ will defeat ISIS

According to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, “love” will defeat ISIS, the militant Islamic group that has taken large areas of Iraq and Syria, brutally murdering anyone who holds a view different from theirs, Breitbart.com reported Tuesday, citing a post the tech mogul made on his own website.

“Each of these attacks were carried out with a goal to spread fear and distrust, and turn members of a community against each other,” he said, addressing recent attacks in Belgium, Turkey and Pakistan.

The “only sustainable way to fight back” against these militants is to “create a world” where everyone “feels cared for and loved,” he added.

On Easter Sunday, at least 70 people were murdered and 300 more were injured when a Taliban faction that supports ISIS detonated a bomb in a park filled with children. The group said it had specifically targeted Christians in that attack.

As our own T.K. Whiteman reported, ISIS militants are plotting to murder Jewish children in Turkey. Zuckerberg, by the way, is Jewish.

Islamic militants routinely post threats of violence, rape and murder on Facebook, yet the site does nothing. Just ask Pam Geller. In fact, Zuckerberg’s site routinely tells users that threats of violence do not violate their community standards.

According to the Religion of Peace blog, there have been 24 attacks in the week of March 19 – 25, resulting in 200 deaths and 395 more wounded.

Militant Islamic terrorism is nothing new, and Facebook’s response in recent years has primarily been to target those who report on it or those who oppose the idea of militant jihad. This, by the way, is the subject of a book that Adina Kutnicki, an investigative journalist based in Israel, and I are currently working on. That book is tentatively set to be published sometime this fall.

Zuckerberg is clearly living in a dream world if he thinks he can stop global militant jihad with a Coke and a stirring chorus of “Kumbaya.”

Luckily, once it was discovered the pass was stolen the plant deactivated it, but it is alarming this happened!

A security guard who worked at a Belgian nuclear plant was murdered and had his security pass stolen, just two days after the Brussels terror attacks.

Belgian media reported today that the security guard, named as Didier Prospero, was walking his dog in the Charleroi region of Belgium when he was shot dead. However, as soon as it emerged that his security pass had been stolen, it was quickly cancelled so nobody could gain access to the site using it.

Investigators are exploring a theory that the man, who has not been named, was killed to steal his pass and gain access to a nuclear facility.

Nuclear power plants are known to be targets for the terror network behind the Brussels bombings and the Paris attacks in November. In a nation on high alert following this week’s attacks, the report stokes fears about the possibility militants are seeking to get hold of nuclear material or planning to attack a nuclear site.

On Thursday, Derniere Heure newspaper had reported the suicide bombers who blew themselves up on Tuesday originally considered targeting a nuclear site, but a series of arrests of suspect militants forced them to speed up their plans and instead switch focus to the Belgian capital.

The Islamic State group has trained at least 400 fighters to target Europe in deadly waves of attacks, deploying interlocking terror cells like the ones that struck Brussels and Paris with orders to choose the time, place and method for maximum carnage, officials have told The Associated Press.

The network of agile and semiautonomous cells shows the reach of the extremist group in Europe even as it loses ground in Syria and Iraq. The officials, including European and Iraqi intelligence officials and a French lawmaker who follows the jihadi networks, described camps in Syria, Iraq and possibly the former Soviet bloc where attackers are trained to attack the West. Before being killed in a police raid, the ringleader of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks claimed he had entered Europe in a multinational group of 90 fighters, who scattered “more or less everywhere.”

But the biggest break yet in the Paris attacks investigation — the arrest on Friday of fugitive Salah Abdeslam— did not thwart the multipronged attack just four days later on the Belgian capital’s airport and metro that left 31 people dead and an estimated 270 wounded. Three suicide bombers also died.

Just as in Paris, Belgian authorities were searching for at least one fugitive in Tuesday’s attacks — this time for a man wearing a white jacket who was seen on airport security footage with the two suicide attackers. The fear is that the man, whose identity Belgian officials say is not known, will find Abdeslam’s path instructive.

After fleeing Paris immediately after the November attacks, Abdeslam forged a new network back in his childhood neighborhood of Molenbeek, long known as a haven for jihadis, and renewed plotting, according to Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders.

“Not only did he drop out of sight, but he did so to organize another attack, with accomplices everywhere. With suicide belts. Two attacks organized just like in Paris. And his arrest, since they knew he was going to talk, it was a response: ‘So what if he was arrested? We’ll show you that it doesn’t change a thing,'” said French Senator Nathalie Goulet, co-head of a commission tracking jihadi networks.

Estimates range from 400 to 600 Islamic State fighters trained specifically for external attacks, according to the officials, including Goulet. Some 5,000 Europeans have gone to Syria.

“The reality is that if we knew exactly how many there were, it wouldn’t be happening,” she said.

Two of the suicide bombers in Tuesday’s attacks, brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui, had no known extremist links until an apartment one of them rented was traced to Abdeslam last week, according to Belgian state broadcaster RTBF. Similarly, an Algerian killed inside that apartment on March 15 had nothing but a petty theft record in Sweden — but he’d signed up as an Islamic State suicide bomber for the group in 2014 and returned to Europe as part of the Nov. 13 plot.

In claiming responsibility, the Islamic State group described a “secret cell of soldiers” dispatched to Brussels for the purpose. The shadowy cells were confirmed by Europol — the EU police agency which said in a late January report that intelligence officials believed the group had “developed an external action command trained for special forces-style attacks.”

French speakers with links to North Africa, France and Belgium appear to be leading the units and are responsible for developing attack strategies in Europe, said a European security official who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak about briefing material. He is also familiar with interrogations of former fighters who have returned to Europe. Some were jailed after leaving IS while others were kicked out of the terror group. The fighters include Muslims and Muslim converts from all across Europe.

Fighters in the units are trained in battleground strategies, explosives, surveillance techniques and counter surveillance, the security official said.

“The difference is that in 2014, some of these IS fighters were only being given a couple weeks of training,” he said. “Now the strategy has changed. Special units have been set up. The training is longer. And the objective appears to no longer be killing as many people as possible but rather to have as many terror operations as possible, so the enemy is forced to spend more money or more in manpower. It’s more about the rhythm of terror operations now.”

Similar methods had been developed by al-Qaida but IS has taken it to a new level, he said. Another difference with these “external operation” units is that fighters are being trained to be their own operators — not necessarily to be beholden to specific orders from the IS stronghold in Raqqa, Syria, or elsewhere.

In the case of Tuesday’s attacks, Abdeslam’s arrest may have been a trigger for a plot that was already far along.

“This was not put together as a response to the arrest. However the timing of what has happened over the last few days has maybe hurried up the planning and execution,” said Magnus Ranstorp, a Swedish security analyst. “I see the link to the environments either in France or in Belgium. Whether they’re logistically linked … they’re probably part of the same batch of extremists that have come out of Syria.”

Several security officials have said there is growing evidence to suggest the bulk of the training is taking place in Syria, Libya and elsewhere in North Africa.

“To pull off an attack of this sophistication, you need training, planning, materials and a landscape,” said Shiraz Maher, a senior research fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation in London.

Maher has conducted extensive interviews with foreign fighters. The research center, based at Kings College in London, has one of the largest databases of fighters and their networks.

“Even if they worked flat out, the attackers in Brussels would have needed at least four days,” Maher said.

The question for many intelligence and security officials is now turning to just how many more fighters have been trained and are ready for more attacks.

A senior Iraqi intelligence official who was not authorized to speak publicly said people from the cell that carried out the Paris attacks are scattered across Germany, Britain, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. Recently, a new group crossed in from Turkey, the official said.

The latest new name to surface this week, Najim Laachraoui, turned out to be the bombmaker who made the suicide vests used in the Paris attacks, according to French and Belgian officials. Attackers used an explosive known as Triacetone Triperoxide, or TATP, made from common household chemicals. DNA evidence indicates he died on Tuesday in the suicide attack on the airport, two officials briefed on the investigation told AP.

Fifteen kilos of TATP were found in an apartment linked to the Brussels attackers, along with other explosive material.

The unidentified man seen on security footage wearing a white jacket and black hat at the Brussels airport on Tuesday remains at large, a fugitive link in a chain still being forged.

The Brussels terrorists were preparing an attack on a nuclear power plant and had recorded 12 hours of reconnaissance footage, it has been reported. The ISIS cell were spying on Belgium’s nuclear power chief, possibly as part of a kidnap plan to force him to let them into an atomic facility, according to newspaper Derniere Heure. Hours of film of the home of the Research and Development Director of the Belgian Nuclear Programme were discovered in an apartment in Brussels raided by anti-terrorist police following the attack in Paris.

The footage confounded investigators at first – as it showed the entrance to the director’s home in Flanders, an area outside the capital. But detectives made the chilling deduction that the group was attempting to gain entry to an atomic facility after watching all 12 hours of footage, which included images of a local bus.

Armed troops were sent to defend French and Belgian nuclear facilities following the discovery and both countries nuclear programmes were put on the highest state of alert.

This is so far beyond ridiculous and disrespectful to the victims of the bombings.

It’s been only a day since the bombings in Brussels, and the New York Times has issued a warning. No – it isn’t a warning of ISIS carrying out more attacks. It was a warning to reject the rhetoric of Donald Trump. As the Washington Examiner reported:

The New York Times editorial board responded to a wave of terror attacks that washed over Brussels early Tuesday morning by begging its readers to reject the rhetoric of billionaire businessman Donald Trump.

The appropriate response to the attacks, which have so far claimed the lives of 34 people, is “courage and steadfastness in the face of a threat that will take many years to eliminate,” the board wrote.

“It emphatically does not mean hysterical fearmongering of the sort promptly voiced by politicians like Donald Trump,” they added.

Call it “hysterical fearmongering” all you want – but he’s the only candidate who’s actually offered solutions in response to the attacks. Isn’t it liberals who mock conservatives for praying after tragedies instead of taking action to prevent them?

That’s the message that Gloria Borger is bringing to the Democrats’ leadership race.

If former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is going to “hug the President Obama really close, she’ll have to hug the fact that we haven’t gotten control of ISIS.” This must come as bad news for Hillary.

Bill, if you have been paying attention, was already trying to set up Obama as a foil for any problems she might have as president, with words like 7 awful years as he was caught saying in my piece just yesterday.

Borger actually reverses that. Instead of affording Hillary plausible deniability for the unpleasant aspects of Obama’s administration, it actually puts her in the spotlight for its actual failures, some of which fall directly under her prevue as former Secretary of State. (Most famously, that failed nation state of Libya, and her own role in bringing that about.)

As the dust still settles in Brussels, and Islamist attacks around the world become commonplace, we have not seen anything like a plan for victory over that “JV team” as her administration so badly misjudged it. Both she and the President she worked under had an opportunity to show their true mettle in times of crisis, and I’m not sure that’s a record she really wants to be called out on.

Does she have a plan going forward?

Does it matter? Her party has been finger-wagging since Dubya for how they would do everything so much better than the Republicans. Unearned Peace Prize notwithstanding, what have we seen Hillary and her president doing to truly solve this crisis?

That’s what people ask, said Father Douglas al-Bazi, a priest at the Mar Elia refugee camp in Erbil, Iraq.

“Actually, the easy answer is, there are no life in Iraq.”

Al-Bazi, a former hostage of terrorists, talked about his own treatment at the hands of terrorists. He said he saw his church and car blow up in front of him. He was shot by an AK-47 in his leg, he said, and his captors broke his teeth, nose, and back with a hammer.

“I still keep my shirt when they kidnapped me, and still I look to my blood every day and I remember, and this is what happen even to my people every day,” he said.

Al-Bazi was one of the speakers at a news conference Wednesday on a new report containing evidence of ISIS crimes against Christians that was submitted to the State Department.

“The evidence contained in this report as well as the evidence relied upon by the European Parliament fully support—and I suggest to you compel—the conclusion that reasonable grounds exist to believe the crime of genocide has been committed against Christians in the region,” Carl Anderson, CEO of the Knights of Columbus, said while presenting the report Thursday at a National Press Club news conference.

The report was co-sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic society, and In Defense of Christians, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Christianity in the Middle East The 278-page report includes a legal brief, 44 Iraqi witness statements, and lists of crimes against Christians, Christians that were murdered, and churches that were attacked, as well as other supplementary materials.

Anderson asked the United States to look to the European Parliament’s recent decision to recognize ISIS’ treatment of religious minorities—including Christians—as genocide, and said that an American declaration excluding Christians would be “contrary to the facts.”

Nina Shea, director of the Center for Religious Freedom at the Hudson Institute, described an incident where a Christian woman witnessed ISIS crucify her husband to the door of their home. Yet, she said the State Department hesitates to include Christians in a formal declaration of genocide against ISIS because the department believes that ISIS views Christians as respected “people of the book” and offers Christians the opportunity to pay a tax. The tax allegedly pays for protection and the right to worship, Shea said. But that’s not respect, she added, it’s extortion.

“The cloth of genocide is not lain overnight,” Bishop Anba Angaelos of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom said at the news conference.

“This has happened over decades. And what we’ve seen is an ongoing persecution that has led to a desensitization that has led to a systematic acceptance of that diminished state as the status quo. And because it was the status quo, limits have been pushed and we are where we are today.”

Johnnie Moore, author of “Defying ISIS: Preserving Christianity in the Place of Its Birth and in Your Own Backyard,” also spoke at the report presentation. He said that earlier this month, Christian women had been handcuffed and shot for their faith.

Over 200 House lawmakers have voiced their support of a declaration of genocide against ISIS for its treatment of Christians and other religious minorities through House Concurrent Resolution 75.

The resolution was introduced in September by Reps. Jeff Fortenberry R-Neb., and Anna Eshoo D-Calif., and defines targeted “atrocities” against Christians and other religious minorities as “war crimes,” “crimes against humanity,” and “genocide.”

The House Foreign Affairs Committee unanimously passed the resolution on March 2. In response, In Defense of Christians President Toufic Baaklini said in a statement:

“[In Defense of Christians] thanks the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the co-sponsors of H. Con. Res. 75 for calling ISIS’ crimes by the rightful name, a statement that will resonate around the world, and urges the House leadership to bring this bill to a vote and the Obama administration and the State Department to officially recognize the genocide.”

Secretary of State John Kerry is expected to make a decision about a declaration of genocide by March 17.

BAGHDAD – Iraqi officials say the Islamic State group has launched two chemical attacks, killing a three-year-old girl and wounding some 600 people near the northern city of Kirkuk. Security and hospital officials say the latest attack took place early Saturday in the small town of Taza, which was struck by a barrage of rockets carrying chemicals three days earlier.

Helmi Hamdi, a nurse at the Taza hospital, says the wounded are suffering from infected burns, suffocation and dehydration. Eight people were transferred to Baghdad for treatment.

The security officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.

Four Arrested in Spain, Morocco for Alleged Islamic State Ties — Including Former Gitmo Detainee

MADRID (AP) — Spanish and Moroccan police on Tuesday arrested four suspected members of a jihadi cell that sought to recruit fighters for the Islamic State group, including one described as a former Guantanamo detainee who once fought with militants in Afghanistan.

Three people were arrested in Spain’s North African enclave city of Ceuta while a Moroccan was arrested in the Moroccan border town of Farkhana, next to Melilla, Spain’s other North African enclave, statements from the two nations’ interior ministries said.

One of those detained in Ceuta was the former Guantanamo detainee who was not named by Spanish authorities but described as “a leader who was trained in handling weapons, explosives and in military tactics.” After being captured in 2002 and held in Guantanamo, he was returned to Spain in 2004, said Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz.

Another suspect was the brother of a fighter who blew himself up during an attack in Syria and man detained Tuesday “was inclined to do the same thing,” he said.

The suspects had set up contacts to try to acquire weapons and bomb-making materials and were aiming “to carry out terrorist acts in Spanish territory,” the Spanish ministry statement said, without specifying possible targets. They also worked to recruit teenagers from Ceuta to join IS in Iraq and Syria, the Spanish statement said.

Spanish police arrested about 100 suspected Islamic extremists last year and more than 600 total since the 2004 train bombings in Madrid that killed 191 people and injured nearly 2,000.

White House misses deadline to deliver Islamic State strategy to Capitol Hill

The chairman of the House Armed Services Committee said Tuesday that the administration is essentially sending troops into the “wilderness with a compass, but no map” after it failed to deliver a strategy to defeat the Islamic State by Monday’s deadline.

The fiscal 2016 National Defense Authorization Act required the administration to provide a strategy to counter violent extremism by Monday, a deadline it missed.

Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, said the failure to come through is unsurprising, despite the administration’s repeated assurances that its strategy is “well underway.”

“The committee is working now to shape the FY17 National Defense Authorization Act and the Pentagon has already begun requesting authorities our troops need to defeat this enemy. Without a strategy, this amounts to leaving our troops in the wilderness with a compass, but no map,” Thornberry said in a statement.

“Failing to comply with the report deadline represents more than a failure of strategic vision for the White House. It is a lost opportunity for the administration and Congress to work together on a common approach to face this threat,” he continued.

If you think that the U.S. has been fighting ISIS, think again. The U.S. has been dancing around the terrorist group in an effort to showcase the softer, cuddlier side of the Obama foreign policy agenda. Now, as ISIS continues to dominate the Middle East and reconquer lands for which Americans spilt blood to secure, the Obama Administration has finally changed the rules of engagement to allow U.S. forces to combat ISIS fighters on the ground in Afghanistan.

The rules of engagement previously only allowed U.S. forces to kill ISIS enemies if the ISIS fighters first showed “hostile intent.”

In all practicality, this meant that U.S. troops would often have to wait for ISIS fighters to open-fire on troops before they could then engage.

Now, the changing of the rules allows U.S. troops on the ground in Afghanistan to identify enemy ISIS fighters and engage. The rule change now places ISIS in the same category as Al Qaeda.

“Now,” a U.S. official revealed, “we can kill ISIS in Afghanistan just for wearing the T-shirt or waving their flag.”

While the Obama Administration has consistently refused to admit that the U.S. is in a war with radical Islam, President Obama has consistently downplayed the seriousness of the threat posed by ISIS. During his State of the Union address, Obama doubled-down on his assertion that ISIS is not a serious threat to Americans and claimed,

“Over-the-top claims that this is World War III just play into [ISIS’] hands.” He argued that ISIS fighters “do not threaten our national existence.”

“Masses of fighters on the back of pickup trucks, twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages, they pose an enormous danger to civilians. They have to be stopped. But they do not threaten our national existence,” Obama said. “That is the story ISIL wants to tell; that’s the kind of propaganda they use to recruit.”

Because of this horrifyingly mistaken belief, Obama’s Pentagon has consistently refused to engage the enemy in any meaningful manner. This administration, sadly, routinely offers 45-minute warnings before dropping bombs on ISIS targets. They do this by dropping leaflets from the air so that civilians (and ISIS fighters) can make the necessary preparations. Further, a whopping 75% of aerial engagements end without dropping a single ordnance out of fear of incurring a civilian casualty.

Now, after placing American troops in danger for years, the Obama Administration is finally allowing U.S troops in Afghanistan to do what they should have been allowed to do all along- kill terrorists.

It is little wonder why terrorism is on the rise; America has demonstrated a nauseating passivity that telegraphs weakness to the Islamic world and emboldens terrorists. Either we are committed to fighting and winning this war, or we should surrender to Islamic fanatics. If actions indicate preference, it’s clear which option Obama favors…

Iraq’s Historic St. Elijah’s Monastery Has Been ‘Pulverized’ by ISIS: AP

IRBIL, Iraq — Satellite photos obtained by the Associated Press confirm what church leaders and Middle East preservationists had feared: The oldest Christian monastery in Iraq has been reduced to rubble, yet another victim of ISIS’s relentless destruction of heritage sites.

St. Elijah’s Monastery stood as a place of worship for 1,400 years, including most recently for U.S. troops. In earlier millennia, generations of monks tucked candles in the niches, prayed in the chapel, worshipped at the altar. The Greek letters chi and rho, representing the first two letters of Christ’s name, were carved near the entrance.

This month, at the request of the AP, satellite imagery firm DigitalGlobe tasked a high resolution camera to grab photos of the site, and then pulled earlier images of the same spot.

Before it was razed, a partially restored, 27,000-square-foot stone and mortar building stood fortress-like on a hill above Mosul. Although the roof was largely missing, it had 26 distinctive rooms including a sanctuary and chapel. One month later photos show “that the stone walls have been literally pulverized,” said imagery analyst Stephen Wood, CEO of Allsource Analysis, who pinpointed the destruction between August and September 2014. “Bulldozers, heavy equipment, sledgehammers, possibly explosives turned those stone walls into this field of gray-white dust. They destroyed it completely,” he said from his Colorado offices.

ISIS, which now controls large parts of Iraq and Syria, has killed thousands of civilians in the past two years. Along the way, its fighters have destroyed whatever they consider contrary to their interpretation of Islam.

St. Elijah’s — built in 590 — joins a growing list of more than 100 religious and historic sites looted and destroyed, including mosques, tombs, shrines and churches.

Taking a page out of the ISIS terrorist playbook, British Special Air Service commandos — or SAS — surprised ISIS with their latest offensive some are describing as heroic. According to The Express, the attack took place back in December as attacks from the U.S. and Britain increased in an effort to rid the world of ISIS terrorists. The SAS soldiers put on burkas (head-to-toe female Muslim garb) and pretended to be women. The eight-man team dressed in all black managed to fool all the ISIS troops they passed.

The team got a hand from the local Syrian resistance who managed to drive them through town. Using the burkas made it easy for the SAS troops to hide heavy weaponry underneath their clothing, including automatic weapons, grenades and ammo.

In coordination with the U.S. Air Force, the SAS troops radioed coordinates of an ISIS leader’s house. A U.S.-controlled drone then launched a hellfire missile and destroyed the house and vaporized the ISIS terrorist along with many of his comrades.

After the attack, ISIS troops were scouring the streets looking for the infidels. Several ISIS gunmen approached the burka-clad SAS soldiers who promptly opened fire, killing one and sending the others running away.

The SAS’ most-wanted terrorist is now said to be Siddhartha Dhar, the 32-year-old Londoner who took over for Jihadi John as the designated ISIS executioner after Jihadi John was obliterated in a U.S. bomb strike alongside SAS troops.

Muslim Refugee Rapes 10 Year-Old Girl In Minneapolis

A Muslim immigrant was arrested Wednesday night and charged with viciously raping and attacking a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota. Something strange occurred during the initial reporting of the case, since local news outlets refused to release information showing that the suspect was in fact a “refugee” from Somalia. According to WND:

KSTP 5, an ABC affiliate in Minneapolis, referred to the suspect, Ahmed Hersi Abdi as “A Minneapolis man.” CBS affiliate WCCO 4 used the same description, giving no mention of the man’s background or how he arrived in the U.S.

The attack occurred Sunday evening in an apartment complex in the city’s Cedar Riverside neighborhood, also known as “Little Mogadishu” for its high concentration of Somali refugees imported from United Nations refugee camps in Africa.

Abdi allegedly followed the girl out of an elevator. He asked for her name and offered his hand to her. She shook his hand and Abdi refused to let go. Police said he proceeded to rape the girl in the hallway of the apartment building.

Authorities used video surveillance footage to help track down the suspect, who was arrested about 24 hours later on Monday in St. Paul.

The U.S. government recently brought over another 8,858 Somali refugees within the recent fiscal year, which ended on Sept. 30.

So what does this lone rape show? Why is it so important? Obama plans on bringing over 1,000 Syrian refugees over to the US within the next year. Look what has already happened to Europe. Open borders and welfare are literally destroying these European nations because they are bringing in people who will not assimilate to society and hold absolutely no respect for their hosts. The second class of the all-female Syriac Christians Brigade proudly took its place earlier this month on the front lines in the fight against ISIS, whose own increasing use of women as suicide bombers offers a sharp contrast between the two sides’ visions.

Known as the “Female Protection Forces of the Land Between the Two Rivers” – in reference to the stretch of traditionally Syriac-inhabited land between the Tigris and Euphrates, the all-volunteer unit consists of Syrian mothers, wives and professionals who pray in Aramaic, the language spoken by Jesus.

“I’m a practicing Christian, and thinking about my children makes me stronger and more determined in my fight against Daesh (ISIS),” one fighter named Babylonia, who graduated with the first class in December, told AFP. She said her husband, also a soldier in the same war, encouraged her to leave their children behind to fight for their future – and “against the idea that the Syriac woman is good for nothing except housekeeping and make-up.”

The women, the first of whom graduated from a training camp in Al-Qahtaniyeh in August, are primarily focused on protecting Christian areas. Patterned after the highly successful female Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), the unit has already seen battle, most recently in the fight to retake the northeastern town of Al-Hol after two years of ISIS rule.

“ISIS will recruit from any social strata, and using female terrorists in general and suicide bombers in particular are only going to increase.”

But while these women are fighting to protect their families and homeland, their female counterparts fighting for ISIS have a much different role in advancing the terrorist group’s bleak and barbarous cause in the war that has engulfed much of Iraq and Syria.

Sources from Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently, an undercover group of activists based inside ISIS’ Syrian stronghold, told FoxNews.com that the terrorists recently formed an all-female volunteer suicide bombing squad. Wives of ISIS jihadists recruit the city’s females to the grim duty with tales of the “paradise” that awaits them for giving their lives to defend the caliphate. Recruiters ensure their prey that their families will be taken care of after death – with a significant sum of money handed over before the mission date to seal the deal.

“The females go through proper training at a camp with weapons and learn how to do a proper suicide bombing,” a member of Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently told FoxNews.com. “These are women who choose to do this, women of all ages. Even teenagers.”

Before being pressed into the task of recruiting for and carrying out suicide attacks, the women of ISIS were typically deployed as the “Shariah police,” known as the Al-Khansa Brigade. The brigade was comprised exclusively of armed women who patrolled the streets of Raqqa and other towns and villages occupied by ISIS, terrorizing and punishing other females for sharia violations as minor as wearing a niqab that fits too closely, therefore showing the outline of a woman’s body.

Whether based on need or a twisted take on progressivism, ISIS is working hard to emphasize that its cause transcends social status and gender barriers, said Prof. Shaul Gabbay, executive director of the Denver-based Global Research Institute.

“The idea that ‘everyone is part of our mission’ is also part of the terrorizing, that the enemy can be attacked from anywhere at any time by anyone,” he said. “ISIS will recruit from any social strata, and using female terrorists in general and suicide bombers in particular is only going to increase.”

While women fighting for freedom in Iraq and Syria is relatively new, ISIS is following a terrorism tradition in tapping females to kill and be killed for radical Islam. The concept of Islamic female jihadists, stabbers, bombers and “burka brigades” – while undergoing something of resurgence – is not new.

“The phenomenon of female jihadists has been growing for many years now,” said Kamran Bokhari, senior analyst at Geopolitical Futures and author of “Political Islam in the Age of Democratization.” “Females go through the same technical tradecraft with respect to guns and explosives, and the ideological training is very similar in that they are promised heaven should they carry out their mission.”

Female jihadists have taken up arms all over the globe, including Israel, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Kenya, Chechnya and even the U.S., in last month’s deadly attack in San Bernardino, Calif.. But in Iraq and Syria, the so-called “burka brigades” are meeting their match in Christian and Kurdish women who fight for hope and for their homeland.

“I was afraid of the noise of cannons firing, but the fear quickly went away,” an 18-year-old member of Female Protection Forces of the Land Between the Two Rivers told AFP. “I would love to be on the front line in the fight against the terrorists.”

Why ISIS Is Directing Jihadists to Wear Christian Symbols

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (known as ISIS, or ISIL) has previously taken manpower, territory and funds from al-Qaeda. Now, it is taking its instruction books.

A story in London’s Daily Telegraph highlights that ISIS has commandeered and then updated a publication released by al-Fajr Media Center (al-Qaeda’s online distributor) called ‘Safety and security guidelines for lone wolf mujahideen and small cells’. ISIS has simply updated it to provide up-to-date advice for jihadis living in the West.

With that being the case, some of the instructions are familiar: shaving off beards, wearing Western clothes, how to structure a terrorist cell. ISIS also gives its followers permission to wear a cross in order to throw others off their scent.

The document also discusses the importance of encrypting communications. While that is not entirely new, it does reflect jihadists’ Edward Snowden-inspired recognition that they needed to get smarter in this area in order to avoid detection. Indeed, the group recently created its own secure messaging app for precisely this reason.

‘Safety and security guidelines for lone wolf mujahideen and small cells’ also has a specific focus on ‘lone wolves’. Such operators tend to plan crude attacks using knives and guns, with the police and military commonly targeted.

The ISIS-inspired shooting of a policeman in Philadelphia is an example of this (although questions do remain about the extent to which the shooter, Edward Archer, was part of a larger network). Such plots require much less planning than 9/11-style ‘spectaculars’ and are therefore much harder for authorities to stop. Clearly, ISIS believes that it is this type of attack that its Western supporters have the best chance of pulling off in volume.

Yet it is important to remember that ‘lone wolves’ are by no means the only game in town for ISIS. In Europe, for example, ‘lone wolves’ are just one element of ISIS’s plans. Events in Paris (and, almost, Verviers in Belgium where an imminent, major plot was disrupted) in the last twelve months prove that ISIS is capable of infiltrating Europe and then hitting it hard with complex, co-ordinated terrorist attacks. With this being the case, ‘Safety and security guidelines for lone wolf mujahideen and small cells’ will likely be especially useful for an American audience, a country which ISIS has found it harder to infiltrate and where its options are more limited. Its best hope of attacking America is by inspiring sympathizers living there already. That is why this type of material – be it produced by al-Qaeda or ISIS – is potentially so dangerous.

Opinion: Obama’s Dangerous Terrorism Delusion

President Barack Obama views the threat posed by Islamist terrorism in a dangerously stupid way.

The day before Obama’s State of the Union address, New York Times reporter Peter Baker gave some insight into the way Obama thinks about the terrorism threat.

“Here is what he probably will not say, at least not this bluntly: Americans are more likely to die in a car crash, drown in a bathtub or be struck by lightning than be killed by a terrorist,” Baker wrote. “The news media is complicit in inflating the sense of danger. The Islamic State does not pose an existential threat to the United States. “

Baker, one of the most connected reporters in Washington, likely got that insight into Obama’s thinking from those close to the president, if not from a background briefing by President Obama himself. True to Baker’s prediction, Obama did not lay out his view of the terrorism threat as bluntly in the State of the Union, but he did dance around the theme.

“But as we focus on destroying ISIL, over-the-top claims that this is World War III just play into their hands,” the president said during a speech he promised wouldn’t be long, but clocked in at just under an hour. “Masses of fighters on the back of pickup trucks and twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages pose an enormous danger to civilians and must be stopped. But they do not threaten our national existence. “

This type of thinking about terrorism is not new. You can find proponents of the “lightening is more dangerous than terrorism” school of thought on both the libertarian right and the Barack Obama left. In November, Princeton Professor Andrew Shaver wrote an article in The Washington Post provocatively entitled, “You’re more likely to be fatally crushed by furniture than killed by a terrorist.”

“But despite unremitting coverage of the Paris attacks, an objective examination of the facts shows that terrorism is an insignificant danger to the vast majority of people in the West,” Shaver declared.

“Consider, for instance, that since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Americans have been no more likely to die at the hands of terrorists than being crushed to death by unstable televisions and furniture,” he went on.

The only problem with this way of thinking is my desk chair isn’t part of an international conspiracy actively trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction in order to inflict a mass casualty attack on American soil. And the United States government doesn’t have to spend billions of dollars a year in order to ensure the death toll from lightening strikes doesn’t drastically increase.

Yes, we are fortunate that successful terror attacks on U.S. soil since 9/11 have so far been relatively rare and have killed far fewer people collectively than various other threats we never even think about. But Islamist terrorists are actively planning and plotting to increase the numbers of American infidels they kill, and are seeking the deadliest weapons to inflict such carnage. My armoire is not.

This type of thinking has consequences. If you view the terrorism threat the same way you view the bathtub drowning threat, you’re probably not taking the risk of Islamist terrorists acquiring weapons of mass destruction as seriously as you should. It’s the type of delusional way of looking the world that might make a president mistake the most sophisticated terror group in human history for a “J.V. team” — or a nation who captures American sailors and humiliates them on national television as a country who will uphold its end of a nuclear treaty.

Top General Warns of New ISIS Threat on US Southern Border

America is vulnerable to attack by Islamic extremists from a southern flank, and it’s not the U.S./Mexico border, a top general says.

The number of ISIS devotees living in or coming from the Caribbean is on the rise, according to U.S. Southern Command chief Gen. John Kelly, who oversees security throughout South America.

He said he has seen a shift in rhetoric by top ISIS leaders geared toward a “few very, very radical mosques” in the region, essentially directing would-be disciples to direct attacks from their homes rather than trek to the Middle East and risk capture by law enforcement.

“It seems like the Islamic extremists and terrorists have shifted a lot of their message, and that is, ‘Hey, rather than come to Syria, why don’t you stay at home and do San Bernardino, or do Boston, or do Fort Hood?’” Kelly said Friday at a Pentagon press briefing.

He estimated that the number of radicals who left the region to join the group has risen from 100 to 150 over the last year.

The Marine Corps four-star general said he was particularly worried that “nuts can cause an awful lot of trouble down in the Caribbean” because small island nations like Jamaica lack law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI or the Transportation Security Administration, and many of them have “very, very small militaries, if they have militaries at all.”

Kelly, who will retire later this year after more than 40 years in uniform, first sounded the alarm about the Caribbean threat earlier this year.

“While in Syria, they get good at killing and pick up some real job skills in terms of explosives and beheadings, things like that,” he said during a press briefing in March. “Everyone is concerned, of course, if they come home. If they went over radicalized, one would expect they will come back at least that radicalized but … with really good job skills that they picked up in the fight.”

“If they get back to some of these countries … it’s pretty easy for them to move around,” the general added.

Kelly’s latest remarks are sure to be added by President Obama’s critics to the litany of reasons why they believe he doesn’t have the right strategy to destroy the terror network

According to Saudi’s Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Asheikh, both ISIS and al-Qaeda are enemy number one. I guess he couldn’t choose just one. Maybe it’s one of those 1 and 1A kinds of things.

Off topic as it is – who chooses the names for these characters anyway? Do they get to choose? If so, why must they always be so long? Could you imagine having to endorse a check or sign one of the tiny electronic keypads at the grocery store – or signing autographs for the Grand Mufti groupies? Sheesh!

Anyway, the Mufti – oh excuse me – the Grand Mufti stated emphatically that, “The ideas of extremism, radicalism and terrorism … have nothing to do with Islam and (their proponents) are the enemy number one of Islam.”

Yet about the time he was condemning the two terror groups for their barbarism, he was signing off on one of the largest mass executions in the country’s history. They executed 47 “criminals.” Among these criminals was a Shiite cleric, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr (again with the names). This did not please Shiite Iran, as response to the executions, they attacked and burned the Saudi embassy in Tehran.

No one knows exactly what their “crimes” were – only that the verdict against the “47 criminals was based on Allah’s Book and the Prophet’s Sunnah.”

The Grand Mufti, or G-Muf to his homies, claims they were tried properly according to Shariah law and found guilty of killing and making explosives. Well, that’s good enough for me, cause we can’t have anyone killing or making explosives. And I’m sure the cleric Nimrod al-Nimrod, being Shiite, where as the Saudi’s are Sunni, was just a happy coincidence.

But the 72 old Grand Mufti, complete with gray beard and gnarled eye, is evidently not without a sense of humor as he stated that not only is ISIS enemy numero uno, but that they “are in actuality Israeli soldiers.” Huh – who knew.

“This threat against Israel is simply a lie. Actually, Daesh (ISIS) is part of the Israeli soldiers,” said G-Muf. “The mufti also dismissed the seriousness of the threat declared by self-proclaimed Islamic State caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. If the Islamic State was serious, al-Asheikh said, they would be ‘killing Jews and liberating Palestine.’” He labeled the Islamic State heretics and they were doing damage to Islam and Muslims.

Well G-Muf –ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Sure the Saudi royal family and their holy men, like G-Muf, all publically proclaim their disgust of Islamist terror, but there’s a little thing called Wahhabism, the radical Islamic ideology that dates back a lot further than that of the Islamic State. So it’s time for another history lesson that I’ll guarantee the Grand Mufti knows all about and I also bet he’s a big booster.

The radical Wahhabi movement was founded by – here we go again – Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab in the 1700’s. Now, we’ve heard that terrorists like ISIS wish to return to the time of the earliest Muslims in the 7th century. Well, that’s exactly what al-Wahhab wished to do.

Al-Wahhab created the “Kitab al-Tawid” or “Book of God’s Uniqueness,” which became the “guiding text for his followers, who consequently speak of themselves as Muwahhidun (total monotheists) or as Salafis (followers of the ways of the first Muslims).”

After being run out of his home town, al- Wahhab found refuge in the city of Diriyah, north of what is now Riyadh, a city then ruled by Muhammad ibn Saud. The two had a commonality of cause and al-Wahhab agreed to help Saud fight his battles and send messengers of the faith out to spread the word and convert Muslims to Wahhabism. Of course those who refused, just as today, didn’t fare well. The messengers declared that, “King Saud, who was presented as Allah’s chosen monarch to whom all Muslims had to pledge baya, or absolute allegiance, so as not to face annihilation as foes of god.” Sound familiar?

Between 1744 and 1818 Wahhabist preachers, and the troops that backed them up, swept across the region securing the first kingdom of the House of Saud, or Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabist beliefs ran so deep that even the mighty Ottoman empire couldn’t wipe them out completely.

In 1824 the Saudi kingdom reemerged. At the throne was Emirate of Nejd, who ruled the kingdom from it’s new capital, Riyadh, between 1824 and 1891. The third Saudi kingdom started in 1932, who’s ruler, Abdulaziz ibn Saud (’32 – ’53) used Wahhabism to unite the many tribes under the Saudi umbrella.

“King Faisal ibn Abdulaziz al-Saud (ruled 1964–75) decided the propaganda of Wahhabism, which proclaims the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the sole rightful defender of Islam, would become the long-term strategy for the monarchy’s survival.”

During the Cold War, Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (ruled 1982 until his death in 2005) saw the opportunity to spread Wahhabism using weaponized jihad. During Fahd’s reign, “Saudi Arabia spent $4 billion per year on mosques, madrassas, preachers, students, and textbooks to spread the Wahhabi creed over the next decades.” But they weren’t/aren’t educating aspiring holy man. They were/are training terrorists – jihadis using Wahhabist theology and oh by the way, American supplied weapons.

And it’s no different today. The Saudis claim to be our friends and allies against terror, but the House of Saud has been quietly funding Wahhabist terror for many decades. They have created the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and ISIS and their influence is global through their funding of thousands of Mosques and Muslim Centers, where radical Wahhabist preachers recruit new jihadists. Most of the more than 1200 Mosques in the U.S. were funded by the Saudis.

The Saudis are bad people and certainly not our friends. Their radical Wahhabist ideology, while kept under wraps, is entirely incompatible with America and a free, secular society.

So when we hear old G-Muf state that extremism and terrorism are not Islam, you know for fact, he is lying his a** off.

ISIS ‘rape handbook’ reveals 15 rules for slaves’ ‘owners’ – from banning sons and fathers from sharing the same woman to outlawing sex with a mother and daughter

ISIS has issued an extremely detailed ruling on when the ‘owners’ of female slaves can have sex with them in a sickening attempt to justify the rape and torture of its captives. The ruling or fatwa has the force of law and appears to go beyond ISIS’s previous known utterances on the subject, a leading Islamic State scholar said. It sheds new light on how the group is trying to reinterpret centuries-old teachings to sanction the sexual slavery of women in the swaths of Syria and Iraq it controls.

The fatwa was among a huge trove of documents captured by U.S. Special Operations Forces during a raid targeting a top ISIS official in Syria in May.

Reuters news agency has reviewed some of the documents, which have not been previously published.

Among the religious rulings are bans on a father and son having sex with the same female slave; and the owner of a mother and daughter having sex with both.
Joint owners of a female captive are similarly enjoined from intercourse because she is viewed as ‘part of a joint ownership.’

The United Nations and human rights groups have accused ISIS of the systematic abduction and rape of thousands of women and girls as young as 12, especially members of the Yazidi minority in northern Iraq.

Many have been given to fighters as a reward or sold as sex slaves.

Far from trying to conceal the practice, Islamic State has boasted about it and established a department of ‘war spoils’ to manage slavery.

Reuters reported on the existence of the department on Monday.

In an April report, Human Rights Watch interviewed 20 female escapees who recounted how Islamic State fighters separated young women and girls from men and boys and older women. They were moved ‘in an organized and methodical fashion to various places in Iraq and Syria.’

Fatwa No. 64, dated January 29, 2015, and issued by the terror group’s Committee of Research and Fatwas, appears to codify sexual relations between ISIS fighters and their female captives for the first time, going further than a pamphlet issued by the group in 2014 on how to treat slaves.

The fatwa starts with a question: ‘Some of the brothers have committed violations in the matter of the treatment of the female slaves.

‘These violations are not permitted by Sharia law because these rules have not been dealt with in ages. Are there any warnings pertaining to this matter?’

It then lists 15 injunctions, which in some instances go into explicit detail.

For example, one says: ‘If the owner of a female captive, who has a daughter suitable for intercourse, has sexual relations with the latter, he is not permitted to have intercourse with her mother and she is permanently off limits to him.

‘Should he have intercourse with her mother then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her daughter and she is to be off limits to him.’

ISIS’s sexual exploitation of female captives has been well documented, but a leading ISIS expert at Princeton University, Cole Bunzel, who has reviewed many of the group’s writings, said the fatwa went beyond what has previously been published by the militants on how to treat female slaves.

‘It reveals the actual concerns of ISIS slave owners,’ he said in an email.

Still, he cautioned that not ‘everything dealt with in the fatwa is indicative of a relevant violation.

‘It doesn’t mean father and son were necessarily sharing a girl. They’re at least being ‘warned’ not to. But I bet some of these violations were being committed.’

The fatwa also instructs owners of female slaves to ‘show compassion towards her, be kind to her, not humiliate her and not assign her work she is unable to perform.’
An owner should also not sell her to an individual whom he knows will mistreat her.

Professor Abdel Fattah Alawari, dean of Islamic Theology at Al-Azhar University, a 1,000-year-old Egyptian centre for Islamic learning, said ISIS ‘has nothing to do with Islam’ and was deliberately misreading centuries-old verses and sayings that were originally designed to end, rather than encourage, slavery.

‘Islam preaches freedom to slaves, not slavery. Slavery was the status quo when Islam came around,’ he said.

‘Judaism, Christianity, Greek, Roman and Persian civilisations all practiced it and took the females of their enemies as sex slaves.

‘So Islam found this abhorrent practice and worked to gradually remove it.’

In September 2014, more than 120 Islamic scholars from around the world issued an open letter to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi refuting the group’s religious arguments to justify many of its actions. The scholars noted that the ‘reintroduction of slavery is forbidden in Islam.’

THE 15 DOS AND DON’TS FOR ‘OWNERS’ OF ISIS FEMALE SEX SLAVES

It is not permissible for the owner of a female captive to have intercourse with her until after she has had menstrual cycle and becomes clean.
If she does not menstruate and is pregnant, he is not allowed to have intercourse with her until after she has given birth.
It is not permissible to cause her to abort if she is pregnant.
If the owner of a female captive releases her, only he can have intercourse with her and he cannot allow someone else to have intercourse with her.
If the owner of a female captive, who has a daughter suitable for intercourse, has sexual relations with the latter, he is not permitted to have intercourse with her mother and she is permanently off limits to him. Should he have intercourse with her mother then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her daughter and she is to be off-limits to him.
The owner of two sisters is not allowed to have intercourse with both of them; rather he may only have intercourse with just one. The other sister is to be had by him, if he were to relinquish ownership of the first sister by selling her, giving her away or releasing her
If the female captive is owned by a father, his son cannot have intercourse with her and vice-versa. Moreover, intercourse with his wife’s female captive is also not permissible
If a father had intercourse with his female captive then gave her away or sold her to his son, he is no longer permitted to have intercourse with her
If the female captive becomes pregnant by her owner, he cannot sell her and she is released after his death
If the owner releases his female captive then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her afterwards because she has become free and is no longer his property
If two or more individuals are involved in purchasing a female captive, none of them are permitted to have sex with her because she is part of a joint ownership
It is not permissible to have intercouse with a female captive during her menstrual cycle
It is not permissible top have anal sex with a female captive
The owner of a female captive should show compassion towards her, be kind to her, not humiliate her and not assign her work she is unable to perform
The owner of a female captive should not sell her to an individual whom he knows will treat her badly or do unto her what Allah has forbidden

BREAKING: U.S. Lawmakers Make Stunning Move To Investigate Obama For Helping ISIS

muslim-obama Three committees in the House of Representatives announced Friday that they were launching concurrent investigations into allegations that President Barack Obama deliberately manipulated intelligence reports from Syria and Iraq, allowing the Islamic State group to thrive.

According to the Washington Examiner, Republican Reps. Ken Calvert of California, Mike Pompeo of Kansas and Brad Wenstrup of Ohio will lead the investigations for the Armed Services Committee, Intelligence Committee and the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, respectively.

“In addition to looking into the specific allegations, the Joint Task Force will examine whether these allegations reflect systemic problems across the intelligence enterprise in CENTCOM or any other pertinent intelligence organizations,” read a joint statement from Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Rodney Freylinghuysen, R-N.J.

The investigations by the House committees joined an investigation by the Pentagon’s inspector general’s office in relation to the Obama administration’s alleged manipulation of Islamic State group intelligence at U.S. Central Command.

A September report said that 50 intelligence officials at CENTCOM had signed a letter claiming intelligence on the Islamic State group had been doctored. The report claimed that the Obama administration would deliberately punish any intelligence official who gave accurate assessments of terror group strength and didn’t doctor the information to make it look like the United States was winning the battle against them.

Even Democrats have gotten on the president and the administration about the intelligence doctoring, including one of the ranking Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jackie Speier of California.

“More recently the intelligence community, I think, has provided much more accurate assessments. But CENTCOM, which is the area that is responsible for the Middle East, has, for whatever reasons, we don’t know yet why, has dumbed down the intelligence, has sweetened it, has made it seem like we are being more successful there than we are,” Speier said.

“I’m deeply troubled by what I believe is doctoring that has taken place and has created an impression that we are doing better there than we actually are.”

Rep. Speier may claim “we don’t know yet why” intelligence reports were doctored, but we’re pretty sure we understand why.

And pretty soon, these congressional investigations will reveal officially put the “why” out there for the world to see.

50 CHRISTIAN WOMEN Got Sick of Being Raped by ISIS…Now They’re Doing What MEN Refuse To

When he first wrote the hymn “Onward Christian Soldiers”, Sabine Baring-Gould could hardly have imagined its title applied to describe a story like this one.

But desperate times do call for desperate measures, and — while the hymnwriter meant something very different — the phrase precisely captures trends we are now seeing among families struggling to survive in territories held and threatened by ISIS.

In this instance, with their desperate struggle for survival, we are not just describing a conflict of ideas. This is war: bloody, visceral, and “all hands on deck”.

Maybe you heard about the female battalion formed up to oppose ISIS? Reports are that 50 Syrian Christian women just signed up. Their rationale was simple: they were tired of being kidnapped, raped, and sold into sexual slavery. They wanted to hit back.

The “Female Protection Forces of the Land Between the Two Rivers” has had its first graduating class of combat-ready women. Some have left kids and family in the care of others while they join the fight (Babylonia, age 36 for example) and in some cases have done so with the blessing of their husbands, who are themselves fighting with male fighting units.

They are getting training in a range of areas, including fitness, academics, and of course, combat training. Since they are still green, they are stationed close to home, defending their community, while the more seasoned troops go to the heavier fighting.

It isn’t just Christian women who have had enough of being raped, or seeing their children carried away by these gutless terrorist swine, either. The Yazidi women have had their own share of suffering.

So while tens or hundreds of thousands of able-bodied men are streaming away from the battle, seeking sanctuary in comfortable Western nations, these women have forgone the comforts of hearth and home, shouldered a rifle, and stepped up the job these men have refused to do.

This is a job that needs doing. If you had wondered whether the idea of Minutemen could still be relevant in a modern context, this is one example. Rather than wait for the alleged “International Community” to come to their rescue, and to recognize that ISIS really IS bent on genocide (among other things) of Christians, these brave women are doing what needs to be done.

It’s just a shame so many of the “men” skipped town, leaving them to do the heavy lifting.

Mike Gonzalez wrote earlier this week on the president’s national address:

At his national address Sunday night, President Barack Obama lectured Americans at length on the evils of Islamophobia. That is a lofty sentiment, no doubt, but the harangue did strike many as disproportionate. After all, on this score Americans can already be rightly proud.

Despite 9/11; two long and grinding wars against two Muslim countries; terrorist attacks at Fort Hood, Chattanooga, and San Bernardino; and the threat from ISIS, a murderous cult that has beheaded compatriots, Americans have by and large been paragons of equanimity and tolerance.

Candidates may say many things in the midst of an electoral year, but the FBI statistics show that Jews, not Muslims, are the greatest victims of what is designated as religiously targeted hate crimes in America.

To be sure, there have been isolated incidents of bigotry, such as windows broken at an Islamic center in Palm Beach Friday night, and they are reprehensible. But the real story here is that these are isolated events, and thankfully not part of some national furor.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., even took to the airwaves to challenge Obama to show proof. “The cynicism tonight, to spend a significant amount of time talking about discrimination against Muslims. Where is the widespread evidence that we have a problem in America with discrimination against Muslims?” Rubio asked Fox’s Bret Baier.

And therein lies the problem. Obama may actually make Islamophobia more likely by

A, not reassessing his failed strategy against ISIS, and

B, appearing to cynically raise fears of Islamophobia to promote his multicultural agenda.

On the first score, we have the words of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who visited Washington last week and had this to say in a speech at the Library of Congress:

A continued failure to recognize the scale of the challenge and to construct the means necessary to meet it, will result in terrorist attacks potentially worse than those in Paris, producing a backlash which then stigmatizes the majority of decent, law-abiding Muslims.

Continued failure to recognize the scale of the challenge or to construct the means to combat it describes precisely the Obama approach, from calling ISIS the “JV team” to obtuse statements about how the way to rebuke ISIS is to lower carbon emissions.

On Point B, the president’s incessant cynicism about his opponents’ motives has never helped the case he is trying to make. Take the issue of refugees.

As with rejection of Islamophobia, taking legitimate refugees is a virtue in which Americans have every right to take pride. The United States, in fact, has taken in 748,000 refugees since Sept. 11, 2001. Over the past few years, despite the ever-present threat of terrorism on the homeland, the United States has responded generously to the plight of refugees worldwide by accepting them at a rate around 70,000 per year.

Americans also have every right to demand that their government keep them safe. The tension between these two positions should have been handled in a debate that could have proceeded diligently had Obama but sought to understand and unite the nation he purports to lead.

Alas, that’s not what happened. Instead, Obama—clearly peeved that Congress and state governors were moving because they mistrusted him—poured hot oil on a sensitive situation. His petulant performance only gave the congressmen and governors more reason to question his actions and instincts.

Obama’s first instinct was to pour invective on those seeking stricter safeguards on refugees. They were not simply leaders with whom he disagreed; they were “un-American” and “shameful.”

When the House of Representatives, with the support of 47 Democrats, voted overwhelmingly on Nov. 19 to pass a bill that blocks Syrian and Iraqi refugees from entering unless they pass strict background checks, the president reproached them for being “scared of widows and orphans.”

It was all done from overseas, too, in the midst of a presidential tour of Turkey and the Far East. And Obama showed far more emotion when berating his American opponents than in condemning the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris that left 130 dead and led to the refugee discussion here.

Instead of pillorying those with concerns after a tragedy, the administration, from the president on down, should have sought to make its case on the vetting process to legislators, governors, and regular Americans. Policymakers deserve to see what the intelligence is on the refugee process and how the process mitigates any risk. The administration should have kept Congress regularly informed to any changes in the process and why such changes were made.

We should seek to further all of the U.S.’s national interests by keeping the U.S. homeland secure, helping those who are persecuted, and advancing American leadership around the world. This starts by engaging with each other and the facts here at home. The president’s churlish approach has served to divide America. We’re all now reaping the whirlwind.

Islamic State Facts Every American Must Know

The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has been terrorizing the Middle East for almost three years. Unfortunately, the mainstream media and President Barack Obama act as if they want the public to remain ignorant about a radical Islamic group so horrific that al-Qaeda does not want anything to do with them.

These are the facts that every American must know.

1. ISIS IS WINNING THE SOCIAL MEDIA WAR

Facebook. YouTube. Twitter. If it is a social media outlet, ISIS knows how to use it to amp up their recruits and spread their message.

In February, former National Security Council staffer Hillary Mann Leverett claimed the terrorist group sends out 90,000 social media messages a day. While that seems like a lot, others believe the number is actually double that number.

“My best estimate is something over 200,000 a day, including retweets, but that comes with a lot of caveats,” explained J.M. Berger, a non-resident fellow at the Brookings Institution. “It is not entirely possible to break down members vs. fanboys and the bulk of accounts don’t visibly differentiate. But a plurality of the accounts we examined for the study appeared to be based in Iraq and Syria.”

Breitbart News regularly reports how militants use social media to recruit Westerners, especially women. The Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the International Center for the Study of Radicalization at King’s College discovered that the feeling of “sisterhood” was just as much of a draw as finding a mujahid groom for the majority of women from the West.

2. ISIS RAKES IN BETWEEN $25 TO $90 MILLION A MONTH FROM OIL SALES

The squabble between Turkey and Russia pushed the subject of ISIS-controlled oil fields into the headlines. Both countries accuse each other of purchasing oil from ISIS, but how much does that give the group?

In July 2014, experts believed oil earned ISIS at least $3 million a day, or roughly $90 million a month. The group captured numerous oil fields in Syria’s Diar Alzour province, including the Omar oil field. Almost a year later, the U.S. claimed ISIS was weakening, but militants “seized most of the Baiji oil refinery, the largest in Iraq.”

Other analysts said that ISIS only makes $2 million a month from oil, which is around $24 million a year.

3. ISIS CALIPHATE SPANS UP TO 35,000 SQUARE MILES

On, November 17, GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush tweeted out this picture of the caliphate.

The picture shows the state ISIS has formed so far is about the size of Indiana, with over 8 million residents. They established Raqqa, Syria, as the capital of their caliphate. In 2014, one publication said the the caliphate sized at 12,000 square miles while others put it at 35,000 miles. Either way, one thing remains constant: “They would like the entire world to be Muslim, but they want the world to be Muslim in a very, very narrowly defined manner,” said William Beeman, chair of the anthropology department at the University of Minnesota. “They are fundamentalist Muslims and their idea of Islam is quite different from the rest of the Islamic world.”

4. FBI RUNNING OVER 900 INVESTIGATIONS OF ISIS OPERATIVES IN THE 50 STATES

In October, FBI Director James Comey told intelligence officials his department is currently running at least 900 investigations against alleged ISIS operatives in America. However, the stats also showed that the majority of Americans are not fleeing to ISIS. That only means the domestic threat rises if they stay in the states.

5. THOSE INVESTIGATIONS SPAN TO ALL 50 STATES

Comey also alerted the nation that ISIS “tentacles” spread to all 50 states. Unfortunately, though, potential recruits and ISIS use encrypted software to communicate.

“ISIS is sending a poisonous message that buzzes in the pockets of troubled souls, unmoored people, all day long,” said Comey. “The challenge we face is finding those needles in a nationwide haystack, assessing where they are on a spectrum between consuming this poison and acting on it, and disrupting them before they act.”

6. 72 DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY EMPLOYEES ON FEDERAL WATCHLIST

The second amendment clearly states that “the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” But Sunday night, President Barack Obama pushed for more gun control at the federal level by urging Congress to make sure people on the federal no-fly list can buy a gun. However, that list is far from perfect.

On December 1,

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) revealed an investigation in August showed 72 employees of the Department of Homeland Security were on the watch list. This led to Lynch and other Democrats voting with Republicans on a bill to “ramp up screening requirements for Syrian and Iraqi refugees.” He said:

Back in August, we did an investigation—the inspector General did—of the Department of Homeland Security, and they had 72 individuals that were on the terrorist watch list that were actually working at the Department of Homeland Security. The director had to resign because of that. Then we went further and did and eight-airport investigation. We had staffers go into eight different airports to test the department of homeland security screening process at major airports. They had a 95 percent failure rate. We had folks—this was a testing exercise, so we had folks going in there with guns on their ankles, and other weapons on their persons, and there was a 95 percent failure rate.

Which leads us to the final fact:

7. ZERO SAN BERNARDINO TERRORISTS WERE ON THAT NO-FLY LIST

The no-fly list mentioned 72 Homeland Security employees. In the past, the name “T. Kennedy” appeared on the list, causing troubles for former Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA). Civil Rights icon

Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) ended up on the list, which caused numerous headaches and travel delays. Babies and toddlers remained on the list.

But Obama and Democrats want to rely on the list, even though San Bernardino terrorists Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik never appeared on the list. They slaughtered 14 people in cold blood. Investigators believe Malik pledged allegiance to ISIS. Others said the bombs the couple made mirrored those in al-Qaeda’s Inspire magazine. CBS confirmed reports that both of the attackers viewed ISIS propaganda online.

They never once appeared on the no-fly list.

Will Your City or State be the Next San Bernardino? At Least 22 Verified Islamic Terror Training Camps in US – All Under the Watchful Eye of the FBI

While the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate 1,000 ISIS-tied individuals in the united States, there are at least 22 paramilitary Islamic communities in the US that they know of, but are not doing anything about. Now, the stage has been set for more Islamic jihad attacks on US soil under the watchful eye of the FBI.

The groups are operated by Jamaat al-Fuqra, a Pakistan-based group, who main front group is Muslims of the Americas.

Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, a Pakistani cleric, heads up the group in Islamberg, New York. The communes operated by the organization are in mostly remote areas of California, Georgia, South Carolina, New York, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Michigan, Tennessee and other states.

The Clarion Project reported on these camps:

The organization says it has a network of 22 “villages” around the U.S., with Islamberg as its main headquarters in New York. Clarion Project obtained secret MOA footage showing female members receiving paramilitary training at Islamberg. It was featured on theKelly File on FOX News Channel in October. A second MOA tape released by Clarion shows its spokesman declaring the U.S. to be a Muslim-majority country.

A 2007 FBI record states that MOA members have been involved in at least 10 murders, one disappearance, three firebombings, one attempted firebombing, two explosive bombings and one attempted bombing. It states:

“The documented propensity for violence by this organization supports the belief the leadership of the MOA extols membership to pursue a policy of jihad or holy war against individuals or groups it considers enemies of Islam, which includes the U.S. Government. Members of the MOA are encouraged to travel to Pakistan to receive religious and military/terrorist training from Sheikh Gilani.”

The document also says that, “The MOA is now an autonomous organization which possesses an infrastructure capable of planning and mounting terrorist campaigns overseas and within the U.S.”

Other FBI reports describe the MOA in similar ways, with a 2003 file stating, “Investigation of the Muslims of the Americas is based on specific and articulate facts giving justification to believe they are engaged in international terrorism…”

MOA members believe the holiest Islamic site in the country is located at their Islamville commune in South Carolina. Other MOA entities include the International Quranic Open University, United Muslim Christian Forum, Islamic Post, Muslim Veterans of America and American Muslim Medical Relief Team.

An Islamic commune in Mahmoudberg, Texas has been around since the early 1980s and one member of the group was shot and killed in a reported “accident,” as one member returned fire to what they claim were people harassing them. Several members have used false aliases, Social Security numbers and birth certificates, according to two FBI documents from 1992. America Never Forget

Pamela Geller, author of Stop the Islamization of America, says that the communes are mostly made up of Blacks who converted to Islam while in federal prison and have operated “under the not-so-watchful eye” of the FBI since the early 80

However, the real question is why are they allowed to operate? At the time of the writing of the Clarion Project’s article, MOA was designated as a terrorist organization. In 2005, Jamaat ul-Fuqra was also listed by Homeland Security as a possible sponsor of a terrorist attack on the US, and in 1998, the State Department’s Patterns of Global Terrorism report described the group as an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.”

In January 2002, the State Department was asked why MOA was no longer listed in their annual terrorism reports. Here was the reply:

“Jamaat ul-Fuqra has never been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It was included in several recent annual terrorism reports under ‘other terrorist groups,’ i.e., groups that had carried out acts of terrorism but that were not formally designated by the Secretary of State. However, because of the group’s inactivity during 2000, it was not included in the most recent terrorism report covering that calendar year.”

The obvious question is why have these groups, with anti-American sentiments and violent intentions been allowed to grow under the supervision of the FBI?

I’ll venture a guess that it is because the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the federal government in a similar manner to Communists and are working hand in hand for the destruction of America.

The next San Bernardino, Garland, or Oklahoma is just waiting to happen, but will it occur in your city or state, and are you prepared to deal with the Islamists when they strike? Or, are you more willing to take the Constitutional approach to cut Islam off at the knees and deal with those that adhere to it as those engaged in sedition? The choice is yours.

Obama’s ISIS Oil Scandal Deepens As Russia Produces Stunning Photographic Evidence

How is Barack Obama going to get out of this one? On Tuesday, the Russian military produced an impressive array of evidence that clearly shows that ISIS oil is being smuggled into Turkey on an industrial scale. The evidence included photographs taken by satellite and during aerial reconnaissance missions. What the Russians have shown the world is extremely compelling, and it raises some very disturbing questions. First of all, how involved is the Turkish government in all of this? There is no way in the world that a endless parade of trucks carrying ISIS oil could have marched through Turkish border checkpoints without the cooperation of the central government. Secondly, what did Obama know and when did he know it? The U.S. military has far better surveillance capabilities than the Russians do, and so it seems absolutely absurd to suggest that Obama didn’t know what was going on.

This new Russian evidence was presented to the world by Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, and he says that “thousands of oil trucks” have been going back and forth over the Turkish border…

According to Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov, Russia is aware of three main oil smuggling routes to Turkey.

“Today, we are presenting only some of the facts that confirm that a whole team of bandits and Turkish elites stealing oil from their neighbors is operating in the region,” Antonov said, adding that this oil “in large quantities” enters the territory of Turkey via “live oil pipelines,” consisting of thousands of oil trucks.

But Antonov didn’t stop there. He went on to publicly accuse President Erdogan of Turkey and his family of running the entire operation…

“Turkey is the main consumer of the oil stolen from its rightful owners, Syria and Iraq. According to information we’ve received, the senior political leadership of the country – President Erdogan and his family – are involved in this criminal business,” said Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov.

“Maybe I’m being too blunt, but one can only entrust control over this thieving business to one’s closest associates.”

“In the West, no one has asked questions about the fact that the Turkish president’s son heads one of the biggest energy companies, or that his son-in-law has been appointed energy minister. What a marvelous family business!”

“The cynicism of the Turkish leadership knows no limits. Look what they’re doing. They went into someone else’s country, they are robbing it without compunction,” Antonov said.

And he is right.

The Erdogan family is knee deep in this scandal, and Barack Obama has known about it the entire time. During his presentation, Antonov gave us a lot of specifics. He even claimed that the Russians know precisely where much of this stolen oil ends up. The following comes from an Infowars report…

“The western route goes to Turkish ports on the Mediterranean coast, the north—to the refinery Batman in Turkey and the east—to the largest transshipment base in the village of Cizre,” the Russian Ministery of Defense web page states.

Oil from fields near the Syrian city of Raqqa—said to be the capital city of the Islamic State—is transported at night through the border town of Azaz, Syria and Reyhanli, Turkey to the port of Iskenderun and Dörtyol where the stolen oil is loaded on tankers.

The Russians claim the convoys are under the control of al-Nusra, the terror group funded by the Gulf Emirates and that cooperates with the Islamic State and supposed moderates in the Free Syrian Army.

Posted below is one of the charts that Antonov used during his presentation. As you can see, the Russians are not just making “vague accusations”…

What Antonov is saying in the video has been translated into English, so you will be able to understand it.To me, one of the most striking things about the presentation was when Antonov accused the Turks of supplying fighters, ammunition and vehicles to ISIS and Al-Nusra. The following comes from an RT article…

Up to 2,000 fighters, 120 tons of ammunition and 250 vehicles have been delivered to Islamic State and Al-Nusra militants from Turkish territory, chief of National Centre for State Defense Control Lt.Gen. Mikhail Mizintsev said.

“According to reliable intelligence reports, the Turkish side has been taking such actions for a long time and on a regular basis. And most importantly, it is not planning to stop them.”

If any of these allegations are true, Turkey should be immediately kicked out of NATO.

And if Barack Obama knew about any of this and refused to stop it, he should be facing impeachment proceedings.

For the moment, the official position of the U.S. government is that nothing that the Russians are saying is true…

Following Russian accusations, the US has again defended Turkey, denying any ties between Ankara and Islamic State.

“We flatly reject any notion that the Turks are somehow working with ISIL. Preposterous. And really very, kind of ridiculous,” Steve Warren, Pentagon spokesman, said.

Really?

As an American, I am utterly embarrassed that our “leaders” would continue to try to deny what Turkey is doing after everything that has come out. By flat out lying to the world, we are losing any credibility that we had left.

Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of stolen oil has been smuggled into Turkey, and our government still has the audacity to try to tell us not to look behind the curtain?

No wonder why most people over in Iraq are convinced that the U.S. is actually on the same side as ISIS. They don’t trust anything that we have to say anymore. The following comes from the Washington Post…

Ordinary people also have seen the videos, heard the stories and reached the same conclusion — one that might seem absurd to Americans but is widely believed among Iraqis — that the United States is supporting the Islamic State for a variety of pernicious reasons that have to do with asserting U.S. control over Iraq, the wider Middle East and, perhaps, its oil.

“It is not in doubt,” said Mustafa Saadi, who says his friend saw U.S. helicopters delivering bottled water to Islamic State positions. He is a commander in one of the Shiite militias that last month helped push the militants out of the oil refinery near Baiji in northern Iraq alongside the Iraqi army.

The Islamic State is “almost finished,” he said. “They are weak. If only America would stop supporting them, we could defeat them in days.”

If we are going to continue to lie about the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of stolen oil that has been smuggled into Turkey, why should anyone believe anything else that we have to say? The Obama administration and the Turkish government have been caught in a massive, massive lie. Exclusive: Dr. Ben Carson to Tour Refugee Camps in Jordan to Battle ‘Premature Capitulation to Violence and Evil’

Dr. Ben Carson boarded a flight to the Middle Eastern nation of Jordan late on Thanksgiving to embark on a tour of Syrian refugee camps there on Friday, he told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview before the trip. The tour–which Carson is taking so he can learn more about how to solve the refugee crisis by resettling Syrians throughout the Middle East, rather than bringing any refugees to the United States of America or placing more in Europe–means the world-leading neurosurgeon is the first 2016 GOP presidential candidate to tour refugee camps in Jordan.

“I’m going to be visiting some of the refugee camps and some of the hospitals and talking to some of the people,” Carson told Breitbart News in the exclusive phone interview on Thursday afternoon.

“I want to get a really good impression of what’s going on over there with these refugees. There’s a lot of Syrian refugees. There are not nearly as many as they had planned for. But as you may or may not know, the facilities are not conducive to having any refugees stay there—they’re trying to get out of there. Also, I want to get a better impression of why Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, why are they so resistant to integrating Syrians into their populations? What is it, what’s the dynamic between these various groups that makes them not want to help each other? I really want to get to the bottom of that.”

Part of the reason why he’s going is because Carson envisions a future where ISIS is decimated and wants to find solutions for how to proactively deal with large-scale problems in the Middle East before they get out of control again.

“I want us not to give up on the possibilities of peace over there,” Carson told Breitbart News.

“I’m not being unrealistic or saying that we ought to sit down with a peace pipe with ISIS—that’s just absurd. But let’s say we get rid of ISIS: There’s still a lot of work to be done over there. And I think we’re a central part of that. We have been a very big part of that for many decades and the American influence, even though we were taking sort of a back seat and leading from behind, it’s still very powerful. It needs to be cultivated in the right way. And that influence used in the right way not only leads to peace but increased quality of life for people because one of the things that an organization like ISIS springs up is because they appeal to the desperation of people who have no hope. We can help alter that dynamic.”

Carson said he wants to find a solution to resettle the refugees closer to their homeland throughout the Middle East—and that he doesn’t think the United States should be taking any here.

“For me it’s not so much about taking refugees in here—I just don’t think that’s a good idea from the outset,” Carson said hours before heading to Jordan. “It’s really more about understanding the dynamic over there because I think we need to be working with some of the nations over there in terms of how do you resettle? And in terms of how do we form some kind of a coalition where you have peace and repatriate? That’s what I’m looking for. I just think it’s wrongheaded that the only solution is for us to take them here. That’s not the right solution.”

Jordan is one of the few countries in the ummah (Islamic world) that has aggressively provided for refugees fleeing from war-torn Syria.

The UNHCR, the United Nations’ refugee agency, has taken point in providing assistance for refugees from Syria who live in Jordanian refugee camps. By the end of 2015, Jordan will have taken in over one million refugees, over 90% of whom came from Syria, while the rest will have arrived mostly from Iraq, according to UN data.

Carson ripped President Barack Obama for comparing, as the president did in his Thanksgiving address, potential Syrian refugees in the United States to the Pilgrims.

“That’s certainly not the way I see it,” Carson said when asked to respond to Obama’s comments. “If they were Pilgrims, they should be Pilgrims over there, not Pilgrims over here.”

Obama had on Thursday morning compared Syrian refugees to the Pilgrims who settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts, nearly 400 years ago—who kicked off the tradition of Thanksgiving.

“In 1620, a small band of pilgrims came to this continent, refugees who had fled persecution and violence in their native land,” Obama said. “Nearly 400 years later, we remember their part in the American story – and we honor the men and women who helped them in their time of need.”

Carson told Breitbart News that what would be a truly “humanitarian act,” one of “Christian love,” would be finding ways to reintegrate Syrian refugees into Middle Eastern nations like Jordan—where he’s touring on Friday—and society there, rather than bringing them here.

“But again, we must get back to thinking: exactly what is a humanitarian act? What truly is an act of Christian love? And I think it is not running away from the situation over there,” Carson said.

“It’s trying to ameliorate the situation over there so that people can live in peace. I think there’s been a premature capitulation to violence and evil. And I just don’t think we have to get in and say there’s no hope and no point to try to achieve some fairness over there, that there’s no point in trying to get some of the people who have refugee camps to let the people out of the refugee camps and let them work. Many of them are people with skills—doctors, lawyers, dentists—who could be there helping. Why would you take people with those kinds of skills and just confine them to a refugee camp where they live on $95 a month? It just doesn’t make any sense.”

Jordanian government agencies, along with several NGOs and international partners, contribute to the relief efforts for refugees in the country. Amman opened the Zaatari refugee camp, located near the Syrian border, in 2012 to deal with Syrians fleeing the violence and turmoil of the war in their nation.

Documenting the initial surge of Syrians into Zaatari camp, journalist Carla Fibla wrote in 2012: “Every day, thousands of Syrian refugees walk early in the morning to the entrance of Za’atari camp and form a long queue. For hours, they wait for lorry deliveries, fighting for each centimetre of space.”

The refugee population in Zaatari alone is estimated at around 83,000 people. Due to the continuing increase in population, the camp has faces a surge in crime and drug issues. The camp was said to reach maximum capacity when its population totaled 60,000, but its gates remain open.

The conditions in Zaatari have become so rough for refugees that some now prefer to leave and take their chances in Syria, according to reports.

Majreeb Al Fhood refugee camp, located near Zaatari, has become another popular spot for Syrian refugees. Its current population stands at a little over 4,000, according to estimates from early 2015. The camp was built to deal with the over-population in the Zaatari camp. But 80 percent of the Syrian refugees don’t live in refugee camps. They are dispersed among urban populations in the country’s north–which has become dramatically reshaped, both from a security and a demographic standpoint, due to the war.

Carson, a doctor and world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, also said that he’s planning to visit hospitals there. He compared this fact-finding mission to his August trip to the U.S. border with Mexico in Arizona, a trip on which this reporter accompanied him for Breitbart News and included a helicopter tour of cartel-controlled territory deep inside the United States.

“I’m hoping not only to see the refugees and the refugee camps, but I’m also hoping to be looking at the hospitals and how some of the children who are injured are being taken care of and what other services could potentially be offered to all the people from a physical standpoint,” Carson said.

“I think unless we know those kinds of things we can’t do the right thing in these negotiations. I learned so much last summer when I went down to the border. We all knew that the border is porous but to actually be there and to see it for yourself, to talk to the ranchers down there and hear their horror stories and talk to the sheriffs and the deputy sheriffs and hear what they go through and how they risk their lives protecting these people. You can’t really appreciate it until you see it. That’s what I think will happen here: I actually want to see the conditions, I want to hear from them, where they came from, what would be for them the ideal kind of outcome, what do they think is keeping them from getting there? Who are their friends? Who are their enemies? And I want to hear from a bunch of people. That’s really how you form a solution as opposed to hearing from media outlets who are trying to distort it and be inaccurate.”

Popular NGOs and humanitarian organizations, such as Doctors Without Borders, the International Rescue Committee, Save The Children, and dozens of other non-profits have come to Jordan in hopes to better the lives of those in desperate conditions.

Jordan, a country with a population of only 6.5 million people, will soon reach a point at which they must refuse entry to Syrians fleeing the war between Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and opposition forces. But the conflict continues to see the mass slaughter of innocents, creating a situation where civilians will continue to do all they can to escape Damascus’s borders.

Meanwhile, their Gulf neighbors–such as Saudi Arabia, which already has in place a tent city that can accommodate millions of people–refuse to take in a single refugee.

Carson compared the false choice Washington, D.C., is presenting–of either letting the Syrian refugees into this country and Europe or seeing them be killed–to the Iranian nuclear deal.

“Which of course is the same kind of thing we get with Iran—which is we either have to go to war with Iran or we have to sign this ridiculous deal when of course there are other choices,” Carson said, adding that this trip will help him understand firsthand choices and solutions that are different from what the mainstream media and permanent political class are putting forward.

“What kind of conditions are there, and what can be done to improve them? But also, what kind of humanitarian help is necessary? We have the ability to do a lot and many other nations have the ability to do a lot too.”

Carson wouldn’t call on the rest of his 2016 competition to take similar tours of refugee camps, but he did say he thinks this puts him at an advantage to have a real solution to the problem.

“I never like to tell other candidates what they should do or what they should think, I just think that when I get to see things and experience them for myself rather than have them filtered through other people it makes a much bigger impression,” Carson told Breitbart News when asked if he thinks everyone running should go. “Maybe the other people don’t need that—I don’t know. But I find it extraordinarily helpful.”

Carson also laid out his strategy to defeat ISIS and how he’d do things differently from President Obama so far.

“First of all, I believe we have to really take the battle to ISIS and the goal has to be to eliminate them, not contain them or push them into one area,” Carson said.

“And in order to do that we have to look at what works and what doesn’t work. What has worked just recently when you look at the gains we’ve had in Syria by associating ourselves with the Kurds and allowing them to cut off supply lines to Sinjar, that city, that weakened it. Then when the Kurdish military forces went in with our special ops supported by air, they were able to topple that fairly quickly. That worked. That’s a strategy that’s very effective. There is no reason that can’t work in some of the other cities, including Mosul.’

“Then, when you use your social media and all your other media to blast—remember how when they took the city, it’s all over the place? It makes them look like the big guy. We need to do the same thing. You take it back from them and make them look like the little guy.’

“We need to do the same thing in the southern part of Iraq. They got a bad rap because in their face-off with ISIS they turned tail and ran and left all the millions of dollars of equipment which ISIS then inherited. Well, we didn’t do it the same way there as we did it with Sinjar. We didn’t have an adequate number of special forces. You have to have those there. You have to have Apache helicopters, and then all of a sudden the tide turns dramatically and you begin to take back the land, their “Caliphate.: And you blast that all over the world, the account that they’re turning tail and running.’

“You try to hurt them, their pride, so their pride makes them come out and fight, and when they do, you wipe them out. And then you take their oil, and then you work with the world monetary systems so they have no ability to move money and so they have no ability to pay people. And you just continue to take the battle to them until they’re gone. I think that’s how you fight a war.”

ISIS equips ‘lone wolves’ in U.S. with how-to manual

WASHINGTON – Against a backdrop of heightened security and of resistance to a potential massive influx of Muslim refugees into the United States, ISIS has issued guidance in a little-noticed manual for the so-called “lone wolves” who have become a major concern of U.S. law-enforcement officials. The 63-page, English-language manual, “Safety and Security Guidelines for Lone Wolf Mujahideen,” said to have been authored by three former members of the intelligence service of the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein who now work with ISIS in its self-proclaimed caliphate capital of Raqqa, Syria.

The manual, adapted from an older al-Qaida online Arabic language course, gives lessons to clandestine small-cell and individual jihadist.

It was first revealed by in October by the Middle East Research Institute, which said it came from a top ISIS disseminator on Twitter named Abu Naseeha.

Middle East security expert Michael W.S. Ryan said the manual’s publication demonstrates ISIS intends “to create a new hybrid war weapon in its arsenal against the United States, a hidden weapon designed to be difficult to trace operationally back to the jihadist organization or to detect before an operation is executed.”

“The Islamic State clearly wants their clandestine proxies to be able to survive to fight another day and, therefore, spend as much time designing an exit plan as they do designing the operation itself,” said Ryan, a senior fellow at the Jamestown Foundation, in an analysis on the Washington, D.C.-based organization’s website.

Ryan said that creating such cells at long distance is extremely difficult, but ISIS “has signaled its intention to try because such cells are so hard to detect before they act.”

“Thus, the challenge to U.S. law enforcement, intelligence agencies and the general public, ideally working together, is clearly laid out in their latest jihadist manual,” Ryan said.

Ryan was a political-military and foreign assistance specialist for the Departments of Defense and State with an emphasis on Middle East and North Africa from 1979 to 1997.

Blend in

To avoid detection by U.S. law enforcement, the manual calls on individuals and cells to maintain constant vigilance disclosing information on a strictly need-to-know basis and varying daily routines. In addition, it covers how to devise a cover story, maintain safe houses, maintain weapons security and safely transport them and other cell operatives. It also tells how to perform surveillance of a target and detect surveillance by law enforcement. The manual strongly advises covert cell operatives to blend in with their surroundings and not to draw any attention to themselves.

It instructs the operatives to recruit mostly family members or individuals with whom they have had lifelong relationships. In addition, covert operatives should not keep weapons or incriminating documents in their homes. They should hide their Muslim identity by wearing a Christian cross, ensure there is no Quran app on their smart phones, don’t exhibit prayer beads, cut off beards and stay away from mosques.

The manual would be especially attractive to cells and individuals such as the Chechen Tsarnaev brothers, who carried out the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, as well as Anwar al-Awlaki who was killed in 2011 by a U.S. missile strike in Yemen.

These examples, along with a list of refugees who came to the U.S. but later became jihadists, recently was outlined in a report by Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala. His report revealed the names of 12 “vetted refugees” who were allowed to enter the U.S. but later joined terror cells and plotted attacks against the U.S.

The Tsarnaev brothers, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan, who were naturalized U.S. citizens, set off two pressure cooker bombs on April 18, 2013, at the Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring 264.

Tamerlan was killed in a gunfight, but Dzhokhar was captured, tried, convicted and sentenced to execution, which still is under appeal. They obtained detailed instructions from the al-Qaida magazine “Inspire,” which gave a step-by-step description, complete with pictures, of how to make a pressure-cooker bomb. Do you want

Awlaki, an imam at a mosque in Virginia, preached to three of the 9/11 al-Qaida hijackers and was a mentor to U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, the perpetrator of the 2009 Fort Hood shootings, which killing 13 people and wounded 33. Awlaki was the first U.S. citizen ordered killed by President Obama for terrorist activities.

Revelation of the ISIS manual also comes after FBI Director James Comey last month testified to Congress that there was no real way to conduct background checks on the tens of thousands of Muslim refugees the Obama administration wants to resettle in the U.S.

“We can only query against that which we have collected,” Comey said. “And, so, if someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interested reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing showing up because we have no record of them.” The Tsarnaev brothers, along with al-Awlaki and their families, all were “vetted” prior to settling in the U.S.

Ryan said that it appeared ISIS was adaopting al-Qaida’s doctrine of individual and small-cell terrorism.

He suggested ISIS may be laying the groundwork for terrorist attacks within the U.S., Canada and other English speaking countries using local recruits for whom the U.S. is the “near” enemy.

ISIS in Raqqa appears to be planning to attack its “main far enemy,” the United States, Ryan said, “under the operational cover of home grown attacks by Americans or Canadians, instead of sending individual terrorists and small groups to fight against the United States and its allies from overseas.”

Canada, through its newly elected liberal prime minister, Justin Trudeau, has promised to allow some 25,000 Muslim refugees into Canada at the beginning of the year, and he will send aircraft to pick them up. Trudeau has dismissed suggestions his plan would compromise Canada’s security. However, the refugees he would welcome, principally from Syria, have no validated documentation, making any vetting even more challenging not only to Canadian but U.S. law enforcement officials.

Terrorism Deaths Quadruple Under Obama

The worldwide number of annual terrorist deaths has more than quadrupled since President Barack Obama was inaugurated in January 2009. Deaths from terrorism increased 80 percent last year to an all-time-record of 32,658 people killed, compared to 18,111 in 2013. The number is up about 426 percent from the 7,654 killed by terrorists in 2008 under President Bush, according to the latest report from ‘Vision of Humanity.’

The 2014 economic cost of 13,370 terrorist attacks in 93 countries included property damage, medical costs, lost income for victims, and the indirect costs of preventing and responding to terrorist acts. The annual “Global Terrorism Index” report estimated those costs hit an all-time-high in 2014 of $52.9 billion.

Boko Haram and Islamic State of Iraq and Levant were jointly responsible for 51 percent of all claimed global terrorist fatalities in 2014. About 57 percent of all the attacks and 78 percent of all the deaths occurred in the five nations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan and Syria.

But the number of nations suffering over 500 or more deaths from terrorism increased in 2014 by approximately 120 percent, to 11 countries.

Nigeria experienced the largest increase in terrorist activity with 7,512 deaths in 2014, a jump of over 300 percent over the prior year. But Iraq continued as the worst place for terrorist attacks in 2014, with 9,929 killed, setting another new all-time-record for a single nation.

The number of countries suffering at least one terrorist fatality spread significantly last year, from 59 in 2013 to 67 in 2014. Advanced Western nations suffering at least one terrorist death included Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada and France.

As the Middle East destabilized from 2011 through 2014, global terrorist attacks set a new record each year. Over the three-year period, the total number of people killed by terrorism was approximately 63,214.

President Obama Sunday ordered an intelligence review of military reports which may have soft-pedaled the rise of the Islamic State. At a news conference in Malaysia, Obama insisted on his “expectation, which is the highest fidelity to facts, data, the truth.”

The former head of military intelligence fired back Monday. On Fox News’ “The Kelly File,” retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn insisted that the “accuracy and the warnings that have been provided on the rise of radical Islamists over the last few years,” by the Defense Intelligence Agency, which he ran, “have been very, very clear.”

Flynn said the ongoing investigations into whether Central Command, or Centcom, was leaning on its analysts to soften some of their assessments is largely beside the point.

“Intelligence doesn’t stop at Central Command,” Flynn insisted. “There are 16 intelligence agencies, five large ones and two that provide what we call all-source intelligence assessments. Those are the most important ones that go to the White House.”

And the upshot of all of those assessments were serious warnings about the threat of the Islamic State and other manifestations of radical Islam.

The retired lieutenant general insisted that the focus of investigations should not be on Centcom but rather “at the top.”

“Where intelligence starts and stops is the White House. The president sets the priorities and he’s the number one customer. So if he’s not getting the intelligence he needs and if he’s not paying attention to what else is going on, then something else is wrong there,” Flynn said.

White House Gave ISIS 45 Minute Warning Before Bombing Oil Tankers

The Obama White House is giving ISIS a 45 minute warning before bombing their oil tankers by dropping leaflets advising potential jihadists to flee before air strikes in Syria. “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: air strikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life,” the leaflet reads.

The leaflet drops are justified under the premise that the oil tanker drivers might be civilians and not ISIS recruits, although it’s an explanation that doesn’t wash with critics. “It’s not like these drivers are innocent, uninvolved ‘civilians’ like children or sick people,” writes J.E. Dyer. “They’re waging ISIS’s war, just like the other non-uniformed participants who make up 100% of ISIS’s ranks. This is how far the Obama administration is going to avoid “collateral damage” — and who knows, it may be worse.”

FrontPageMag’s Daniel Greenfield makes a similar point, commenting, “So after all this time, they came up with a great plan; drop flyers on ISIS trucks so that the drivers, who may or may not be ISIS members, can run away in time. Meanwhile ISIS gets 45 minutes of warning.”

Compare the Obama White House’s approach to fighting ISIS to that of Russia. While it took the U.S. fifteen months to even begin targeting ISIS’ oil refineries and tankers, air strikes by Moscow destroyed more than 1,000 tankers in a period of just five days.

In comparison, Col. Steve Warren said that the U.S. had taken out only 116 tanker trucks, the “first strike” to target ISIS’ lucrative black market oil business, which funds over 50 per cent of the terror group’s activities.

U.S. air strikes targeting ISIS oil assets are so rare that PBS was caught using footage of Russian fighter jets bombing an oil storage facility in Syria and passing it off as evidence of the U.S. targeting the Islamic State’s oil infrastructure.

U.S. military pilots have also confirmed that they were ordered not to drop 75 per cent of their ordnance on ISIS targets because they could not get clearance from their superiors.

“You went 12 full months while ISIS was on the march without the U.S. using that air power and now as the pilots come back to talk to us they say three-quarters of our ordnance we can’t drop, we can’t get clearance even when we have a clear target in front of us,” said House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, R-Calif, while retired four-star U.S. general Jack Keane labeled the policy ” an absurdity from the beginning.”

Numerous analysts claim that the Obama White House’s fifteen month wait before it began targeting the primary funding mechanism behind ISIS was part of a tacit policy to help the Islamic State overthrow Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

Earlier this year a document emerged confirming that the Pentagon foresaw the rise of ISIS and that western support for Al-Qaeda groups and other anti-Assad rebels in Syria would lead to the emergence of a “Salafist Principality” that would help to “isolate” Assad.

“The bottom line – the almost irrefutable truth – is that the US and its regional allies were all-in on the “use Sunni extremists to bring about regime change in Syria” strategy from the word “go”, and the direct result of that strategy is ISIS,” reports Zero Hedge, adding, “The US didn’t want to cut off Islamic State’s funding, because without money, the group couldn’t fight Assad.”

The New York Times is also reporting that US Central Command may have engaged in a year long effort to deliberately conceal the fact that the United States’ plan to demolish ISIS was not effective.

Evidence also continues to emerge that ISIS is receiving support from state sponsors of terror like Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

$800,000,000 worth of ISIS oil has been sold in Turkey, a supposed U.S. ally. ISIS trucks are routinely allowed to cross back and forth between the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa and Turkey, while the NATO country facilitates black market oil sales on behalf of the terror group.

As Nafeez Ahmed documents, a large cache of intelligence recovered from a raid on an ISIS safehouse this summer confirms that “direct dealings between Turkish officials and ranking ISIS members was now ‘undeniable.’”

UN calls on world to fight ISIS as Security Council unanimously adopts French-drafted resolution

The resolution “calls upon member states that have the capacity to do so to take all necessary measures … on the territory under the control of ISIL … in Syria and Iraq.”

IS “constitutes a global and unprecedented threat to international peace and security,” the resolution says.

Russia has repeatedly called for action to cut the terrorists’ financial lifelines, with President Vladimir Putin revealing on Monday that IS is receiving funding from 40 countries.

Syria’s UN Ambassador, Bashar Ja’afari, hinted prior to Friday’s vote that this resolution was long overdue. “Welcome to everybody who finally woke up and joined the club of combating terrorists.”

Meanwhile, Russia is continuing its work on a draft resolution proposing international military campaigns to fight against Islamic State. The current text is an updated version of a document submitted on September 30. The text, submitted on November 18, stresses the need to coordinate military actions with the governments of the countries where the anti-terror operations are being conducted.

Russia’s Ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, said that Moscow is working towards having the draft resolution passed soon. Churkin also stressed that it is shortsighted of some UNSC members to try to block Russia’s draft resolution on fighting terrorism.

“We believe the attempts by several members of the UN Security Council to block our work on the project is politically shortsighted. You can fight terrorism with one hand and with the other practically play along with them,” Churkin said.

After the vote, Churkin also added that the French delegates included “important corrections introduced by Russia” into the resolution. Russia’s Ambassador to the UN was assertive when calling on international players to unite against the threat of global terrorism, adding that any plan must be based on “concrete steps.”

In the wake of the attack on Paris and the attempted attack in Germany we thought we’d remind you of what Former Makes sitting ducks Interpol Secretary General Ronald Noble said back in 2013 (in the immediate aftermath of the Westgate Mall shooting in Nairobi, Kenya) about what is likely the best answer for responding to Muslim terrorism against “soft” (or civilian) targets.

In an interview with ABC News, Noble said there are really only two choices for protecting open societies from attacks like the one on Westgate mall where so-called “soft targets” are hit: either create secure perimeters around the locations or allow civilians to carry their own guns to protect themselves.

“Societies have to think about how they’re going to approach the problem. One is to say we want an armed citizenry; you can see the reason for that. Another is to say the enclaves are so secure that in order to get into the soft target you’re going to have to pass through extraordinary security.

Noble spoke directly to the fact that al Qaeda (and now ISIS) had begun focusing their efforts and urging their email17 supporters to “strike soft targets, to do it in small groups.”

“How do you protect soft targets? That’s really the challenge. You can’t have armed police forces everywhere. It’s Interpol’s view that one way you protect soft targets is you make it more difficult for terrorist to move internationally. So what we’re trying to do is to establish a way for countries … to screen passports, which are a terrorist’s best friend, try to limit terrorists moving from country to country. And also, that we’re able to share more info about suspected terrorists.”

Noble exasperated liberals further when he bluntly and forcefully told ABC News that liberals in the United States needed to rethink their pro-crime gun control policies.

“Ask yourself: If that was Denver, Col., if that was Texas, would those guys have been able to spend hours, days, shooting people randomly. What I’m saying is it makes police around the world question their views on gun control. It makes citizens question their views on gun control. You have to ask yourself, ‘Is an armed citizenry more necessary now than it was in the past with an evolving threat of terrorism?’ This is something that has to be discussed.

For me it’s a profound question. People are quick to say ‘gun control, people shouldn’t be armed,’ etc., etc. I think they have to ask themselves: ‘Where would you have wanted to be? In a city where there was gun control and no citizens armed if you’re in a Westgate mall, or in a place like Denver or Texas?'”

It’s a fair question and the answer should be obvious. Gun Control makes law abiding citizens less safe in the increasingly dangerous world.

A siege in which gunmen took as many as 170 hostages, killing an estimated 27, at the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali’s capital Bamako has ended. The gunmen, who were originally reported to be releasing people able to recite verses from the Quran, are still thought to be in the premises.

Security sources told AFP the gunmen were “jihadists” who had entered the hotel compound in a car that had diplomatic plates.

“It’s all happening on the seventh floor, jihadists are firing in the corridor,” one security source said.

Malian soldiers, police and special forces were on the scene as a security perimeter was set up, along with members of the UN’s MINUSMA peacekeeping force in Mali and the French troops fighting jihadists in west Africa under Operation Barkhane.

French troops were believed to have been stationed at the hotel.

5:35PM: The Islamist leader of the Al-Mourabitoun group which claims responsibility for the attack, Moktar Belmoktar, said the attack was carried out to free fellow fighters from Mali’s prisons and to stop attacks against northern Malians.

5:30PM: A local Mali news website, Maliactu.net, has listed 14 nationalities involved in the siege, namely: Algerian, German, Belgian, Canadian, Chinese, Ivorian, Spanish, American, French, Indian, Moroccan, Russian, Senegalese and Turkish.

5:25PM: The Pentagon told the BBC that two Americans were involved in the hostage operation. One was from US Special Operations, on a temporary assignment to the US embassy in Bamako, he assisted at the hotel but was not part of the final raid.

The second, a Department of Defense staffer, was in a U.S.-Mali Joint Operations Centre “offering advice” as the siege unfolded.

5:15PM: A spokesman for the Malian security ministry, Amadou Sangho, said: “The attackers no longer have hostages. They are dug in in the upper floors. They are alone with the Malian special forces who are trying to dislodge them.”

The Pentagon has confirmed none of the 22 U.S. civilians and special forces operatives were injured in the operation.

4:10pm: It now appears that the hostages have all been freed by the Mali-led operation. Reuters reports UN peacekeepers saw 27 bodies in the hotel. 12 corpses were seen in the basement, a further 15 on the second floor.

At least two terrorists have been killed and as many as four are thought to be holed up in one of the hotel rooms, but confusion remains as to the precise number of gunmen. Some sources are saying the two dead gunmen were the only attackers.

The Malian Security Minister, Salif Traore, told a news conference:

“They currently have no more hostages in their hands and forces are in the process of tracking them down,”

3:50PM: A Belgian government official called Geoffrey Dieudonne has been confirmed as one of the 18 reported fatalities. On 14 November, just after the Paris Attacks, Mr. Dieudonne expressed his solidarity with those affected by the Islamic State atrocity by adopting the French flag as his profile picture with the date of the attacks written on a black banner.

3:47PM: The Malian President’s office has tweeted thanks to the security forces and to friendly countries for their support in the attacks.

3:44PM: The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, earlier made a statement in the French Assembly. His comments were met with applause. He said:

“This morning Bamako, Mali, a country which is resisting jihadism with so much spirit, has been attacked.

“A hostage situation is in progress. I want to express here once again France’s total support for our friends in Mali and Malian democracy.

“We are at their sides yesterday, today and always.”

3:41PM: The BBC has reported how the rescue operation unfolded.

First, Malian security forces, supported by UN troops as well as French and U.S .special forces, set up a cordon. They then entered the hotel and brought out hostages at a rate of one or two roughly every 20 minutes.

As the liberators moved from floor to floor shooting was heard, with the attackers firing most heavily when the rescuers reached the fifth and seventh floors.

3:35PM: The Malian security minister has announced that the gunmen are “holding no more hostages”, reports AFP. The death toll may have risen to 18.

3:33PM: British Prime Minister David Cameron has tweeted his support for Mali.

3:29PM: Besides Mali, at least nine countries have citizens among the hostages — Algeria, Morocco, Germany, Belgium, China, France, India, Turkey and America.

3:23PM: The Malian security minister has listed 89 freed hostages, excluding the six U.S. citizens freed by U.S. Special Forces. It is believed that 43 hostages remain in the building.

3:15PM: The freed hostage who said he heard attackers speaking in English as he hid under his hotel bed — Guinean singer Sakouba ‘Bambino’ Diabate — says the accents were Nigerian, according to Le Monde.

3:10PM: Seven Algerians, six of which are diplomats, and two Russian airline workers are among the freed hostages.

3:01PM: Northern Mali’s Al-Mourabitoun, a group of mostly Tuaregs and Arabs but also Algerians, Tunisians and other nationalities, has claimed responsibility on Twitter. The claim of the Al-Qaeda offshoot is as yet unverified.

2:56PM: An Al-Qaeda affiliate group has claimed that they are behind today’s terror attack.

2:54PM: A military spokesman for US Africa Command has announced that six U.S. citizens have been freed by American special forces.

2:52PM: The Indian government confirms all 20 of its citizens have been freed.

2:50PM: French special forces are reported to have arrived at the hotel where an estimated 138 hostages, including 13 staff, are being held by terrorists.

2:44PM: AFP confirms US special forces are helping rescue the hostages, according to Pentagon spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Michelle Baldanza. He said:

“Special Operations Command Forward-North and West Africa personnel are currently assisting hostage recovery efforts at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako.

“US forces have helped move civilians to secured locations, as Malian forces clear the hotel of hostile gunmen.”

2:41PM: The U.S. State Department believes U.S. citizens might be present at the hotel.

1:50PM: Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank Walter Steinmeier has reported that two Germans have been released from hotel attack

1:28PM: The hotel has announced an information telephone line for families of potential hostages.

1:26pm: The Indian Embassy in Mali has said all the Indians who had been staying at the Radisson Blu hotel are safe. It had been reported that 20 Indians were hotel guests. An embassy official the BBC:

“They are in a block of the hotel which is slight off the main area. They are employees of a private business enterprise. We are in touch with them.”

1:23pm: The British Foreign Office has issued further advice to British people in Mali.

1:19pm: US and French troops accompanied Malian forces entering the hotel, Bloomberg is reporting. The news is said to come via a local United Nations official’s e-mail.

1:03PM: 125 guests and 13 staff are reported still to be held hostage, but sources warn the numbers are “fluid”.

12:56PM: Malian journalist Moussa Konda reports security forces told him they were able to free hostages because attackers did not know the hotel layout very well.

12:53PM: There is still confusion over numbers in the siege situation. Hostage numbers are now estimated to have been between 150 to 180 and attackers numbering between two and 13. Turkish, French, Indian, Chinese and Guinean citizens were staying at the hotel which was reported to be 90 per cent occupied.

12:45PM: Amid reports that passengers were told all flights between Paris and the US have been cancelled, flight radar shows an Air France Boeing 777-200 from Paris to San Francisco performing several loops and a u-turn over the English Channel before returning to France, reports The Mirror.

12:38PM: Reuters reports a freed hostage saying the attackers spoke English before launching the attack, saying “did you load it, let’s go.”

12:18PM: Around 40-50 members of the French counter-terrorist and hostage rescue specialist GIGN anti-terror unit are en route to Mali.

12:14PM: Film footage from inside and outside the hotel recorded by Malian television has been broadcast on Sky News.

12:13PM: Air France confirms 12 of their crew who were in the hotel, two pilots and 10 cabin crew, have been “extracted” from the siege. All Air France flights to Mali have been suspended.

12:03PM: The hotel is being cleared by floor by floor by Malian special forces, sporadic gunfire heard outside, reports Sky News.

12:01PM: The French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius, tells a press conference France will take “all steps necessary” to combat the Bamako attackers, as a crisis unit is set up in the local French embassy.

11:56AM: 80 of the 170 hostages taken (of whom 140 were guests and 30 staff) have been freed, according to Reuters.

11.54AM: Malian special forces, backed by intelligence from the French military, are confirmed to have entered the hotel.

11:40AM: Air France has cancelled a flight to Mali.

11:35AM: An escaped hotel staff member says the attackers have taken the hostages underground to a basement of car parks and storage rooms which is more difficult to access than the upper floors, according to Jeune Afrique.

11:24AM: Aaron Klein at Breitbart Jerusalem points to a possible Mali connection to last week’s Paris attacks.

Last year a well-known jihadi website with ties to al-Qaida called on supporters to carry out lone wolf attacks inside France with focus on soft targets. Significantly, the al Minbar Jihadi Media Network also called for the assassination of President Francois Hollande, who was inside the soccer stadium hit by two suicide bombers during the Paris attacks.

The Al Minbar Jihadi Media Network publishes propaganda for al Qaeda affiliates, including al-Qaeda in the Maghreb. It is particularly active in Mali.

The website said its anti-France posters came in response to French military campaigns in Mali and the Central African Republic, where France has maintained 2,000 soldiers as part of a 6,000-strong African Union peacekeeping mission.

At the time, Hollande responded directly to the threats, saying, “We are extremely vigilant” and “It’s not the first time there are threats.”

The Mali branch of Al-Qaeda in the Maghreb is particularly capable and has international connections. It has been led by Algerian terrorist Mokhtar Belmokhtar, now the strongman of the group Al-Murabitoun.

Belmoktar claimed responsibility for a January 2013 attack on an Algeria gas facility in which at last 39 foreign hostages were killed during a three-day siege.

He has also been connected to the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack.

11:21AM: The UN’s Minusma taskforce has joined the Mali security services in dealing with the siege.

11:11AM: BBC French Service’s Mamadou Moussa says that a radical Islamist militant leader in Mali had called on his followers to target French interests in the country.

11:08AM: Earlier statement from Chad’s President Idriss Déby Itno:

“There is a new terrorist attack taking place in Mali at the moment. Hostages have been taken at the Radisson hotel – a place everybody knows.

“There are men and women, citizens who are just doing their jobs and have been targeted.

“I condemn in the strongest possible way this barbaric act which has nothing to do with religion.

“I reaffirm our unending support for our brother Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta (Mali’s president) and all the people of Mali.

“Nothing is very clear as yet. But we can expect blood and tears.”

US Defense Secretary Ash Carter says an American service member has been killed in Iraq. A statement from the US-led forces in Iraq added the fatality was “a result of enemy fire.”

“It is a combat death, of course. And a very sad loss,” the senior official told reporters at a press conference in Germany.

Though Saddam was certainly no humanitarian, the thousands of Christians and other minorities who have fled Mosul and surrounding areas for a safe haven in Kurdistan to escape from ISIS were allowed to live peacefully under his regime.

It is safe to say that, had the United States left Saddam Hussein in place, ISIS would never have gained such dominance in the region.

Our government continues to spend money and lives in Iraq and Syria as we write, and this latest death of a brave American will surely not be the last.

You might expect a group of teenagers to say they’d stand up to the Islamic State and refuse to convert. But what would you do if push came to shove?

A teacher in Italy taught her class of 13-year olds all about the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). At the end of the project she asked her 25 students what they would do if the Islamic State took over their town. All but two reportedly said they would convert to Islam.

Should ISIS come to your town, install a caliphate(1), impose strict sharia(2) law, implement severe punishments and tell you anyone failing to convert to Islam would be executed, what would you do?

Would you stand up and be counted? Would you put your life on the line to fight the curse that is Islamist extremism? This is already a dilemma facing the brave Yazidi and Christian souls in the Middle East, as you can see in our soon-to-be-released movie Faithkeepers.

If we think it’s just ISIS who wishes for an Islamic caliphate – think again. There is yet another who call on the followers of the “religion of peace” to form another Islamic state, governed only by Shariah law.

Article 1 states that ‘aqeedah (Islamic creed) will be the sole basis of the State’s foundation. The government’s structure in its entirety can only exist if it is from the Islamic ‘aqeedah.

Article 7 describes that the State will be charged with implementing “divine law”; therefore those “guilty of apostasy (desertion) from Islam are to be executed according to the rule of apostasy.”

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg: ‘Love’ will defeat ISIS

According to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, “love” will defeat ISIS, the militant Islamic group that has taken large areas of Iraq and Syria, brutally murdering anyone who holds a view different from theirs, Breitbart.com reported Tuesday, citing a post the tech mogul made on his own website.

According to the Religion of Peace blog, there have been 24 attacks in the week of March 19 – 25, resulting in 200 deaths and 395 more wounded.

The Islamic State group has trained at least 400 fighters to target Europe in deadly waves of attacks, deploying interlocking terror cells like the ones that struck Brussels and Paris with orders to choose the time, place and method for maximum carnage, officials have told The Associated Press.

Estimates range from 400 to 600 Islamic State fighters trained specifically for external attacks, according to the officials, including Goulet. Some 5,000 Europeans have gone to Syria.

Fighters in the units are trained in battleground strategies, explosives, surveillance techniques and counter surveillance, the security official said.

The question for many intelligence and security officials is now turning to just how many more fighters have been trained and are ready for more attacks.

The New York Times editorial board responded to a wave of terror attacks that washed over Brussels early Tuesday morning by begging its readers to reject the rhetoric of billionaire businessman Donald Trump.

The appropriate response to the attacks, which have so far claimed the lives of 34 people, is “courage and steadfastness in the face of a threat that will take many years to eliminate,” the board wrote.

“It emphatically does not mean hysterical fearmongering of the sort promptly voiced by politicians like Donald Trump,” they added.
