Chick-fil-A will reportedly stop donating money to charities including the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes following pressure from LGBT groups.

The company announced Monday that it is refocusing its charitable foundation to a smaller number of charities, focusing exclusively on education, homelessness, and hunger.

“Our goal is to donate to the most effective organizations in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger. No organization will be excluded from future consideration – faith based or non-faith based,” Tim Tassopoulos, president and COO of Chick-fil-A, said in a statement.

Chick-fil-A’s tax records shows that it gave to several Christian schools and charitable groups in 2018. None of those groups appears in a list of Chick-fil-A’s 2019 charitable giving that the company made available for preview.

Tassopoulos told the news site Bisnews on Monday that Chick-fil-A wants to be “clear about who we are” as it enters new markets.

“There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” he told the site. “There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.”

As a result, the company will no longer give money to organizations including the Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home.

Those charities have caused LGBT activists to target Chick-fil-A due to those organizations’ stances on homosexuality.

In 2018, Chick-fil-A gave $115,000 to the Salvation Army for the Angel Tree program, which provided gifts for 11,000 children during the holiday season. The fast-food chain also gave $1.65 million to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to provide underserved youth with week-long summer sports camps at historically black colleges and universities (HCBU).

In August, progressive Silicon Valley giant followed Chick-fil-A’s lead, giving $1.5 million to the Salvation Army to fight homelessness.

Chick-fil-A has faced mounting criticism from LGBT groups as it seeks to expand its corporate footprint. The Atlanta-based company recently announced the closure of its first restaurant in Great Britain just a week after it opened due to protests from LGBT activists. Airports in Buffalo, New York, and San Antonio, Texas, have banned Chick-fil-A restaurants in the face of similar pressure.

California To Ban the Sale of Bibles?

Reported By Benjamin Arie | April 19, 2018 at 4:53pm

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/california-to-ban-sale-of-bibles/

When you think about the censorship and outright banning of books and opinions, do you imagine the United States of America? Or, more likely, does that kind of suppression strike you more as the tactics of communists or fascists that America has frequently fought against?

If liberal lawmakers in California get their way, that west coast state may be one step closer to being unrecognizable as part of the United States. A bill currently pending in the legislature would essentially ban the sale of books that include traditional Christian views on marriage and sexuality.

Shockingly, the proposed law could even be construed to make it illegal to sell Bibles, since they include verses that the far left finds unacceptable.

Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an ‘unlawful business practice’ to engage in ‘a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer’ that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in ‘sexual orientation change efforts with an individual,’” explained National Review.

That’s a lot of legalese to digest, so let’s break it down. What the bill basically says is that anything that can be seen as trying to impact a person’s sexual orientation would be illegal to sell or offer. This would almost certainly include traditional Christian counseling services and books.

“The bill then defines ‘sexual orientation change efforts’ as ‘any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex,” continued National Review (emphasis added).

“Efforts to change behaviors” is where the real problem is. After all, almost all counseling and even common psychiatric care are intended to “change behaviors” in various ways.

If you think about it, that’s the entire reason people seek help in the first place: They want to stop drinking or becoming angry or, yes, having troubling thoughts about their sexuality.

It’s also worth pointing out that the bill as written would apply to people who are trying to change their own behavior. This would mean that if a person was struggling with same-sex behavior or sexual identity and they themselves wanted to change, it would be illegal for them to buy any book meant to help them with this. The problem here isn’t limited to Christian books. Bizarrely, the bill appears to put almost any counseling or psychiatric service in the cross-hairs.

For example, let’s say a man has the paraphilia of crossdressing or transvestism. For whatever reason, the person has become addicted to wearing women’s clothes and has found that showing up to work in high heels and a dress has a negative impact on his life. Setting aside any personal judgment about this lifestyle choice (how liberal of us), suppose he voluntarily seeks counseling to get a handle on this problem. Maybe he just wants to stop being addicted to cross-dressing in public.

It’s his own choice. Yet counselors or books intended to help him would be illegal because they’re “efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions,” in the words of the proposed law.

You might consider that example silly, but this concern is rather serious: If passed, it could only be a matter of time before the law’s extremely vague wording is used against traditional Christian teachings in the Bible.

Take Romans 1:26-27, for instance. This verse calls out homosexuality as “shameful” and encourages Christians to not act in this way.

Then there are 1 Peter 1:15-17, Romans 6:1, and Ephesians 4:22-24, all of which direct followers of Christianity to abstain from homosexuality even if they have those desires.

Let’s be extremely clear: The point of this article is not to lecture about gay lifestyles. There are an increasing number of gay conservatives who have reached their own conclusions about their beliefs, and many are on the front lines of the culture war.

You don’t even have to particularly agree with the Bible verses mentioned here to see the problem. Efforts like the proposed bill represent dangerous slippery slopes that would use the legislature to attack traditional beliefs, and even mainstream views that happen to be at odds with the far-left agenda. If nothing else, it’s an affront to the free exchange of ideas — yes, even ones that someone might dislike — and a censorship of speech.

“No one doubts that (Christianity’s) teachings on sexual morality are increasingly unpopular,” summarized National Review. “But they remain constitutionally protected, and no state legislature should be permitted to ban a ‘good’ (such as a book) or a ‘service’ (like counseling) that makes these arguments and provides them to willing, consenting consumers.”

It’s amazing that the same liberals who bemoan “government in the bedroom” eagerly jump at the chance to give the same government control over sexual and moral topics the moment it helps their cause.

Even non-Christians and political moderates need to fight against the new wave of suppression before a 21st-century iron curtain appears. Free speech is everyone’s fight.

You Won’t Believe Why This Conservative University Professor Was Suspended INDEFINITELY

waving flagBy Philip Hodges April 1, 2016

John McAdams – a conservative university professor in Wisconsin – has been suspended indefinitely for criticizing a fellow professor for not allowing debate about same-sex marriage in her classroom. McAdams may return to Marquette University as professor in January of 2017, only if he admits that he was “guilty.”

It all started at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Catholic university in 2014 when a student recorded his encounter with his philosophy professor Cheryl Abbate regarding the issue of same-sex marriage. Abbate had told her class that the issue of “gay rights” was not up for debate, that “everybody agrees on this, and there is no need to discuss it.”

After class, the student discussed the issue with Abbate, but the professor eventually suggested to the student that he drop the course, adding that “some opinions are not appropriate, such as racist opinions, sexist opinions…You don’t have a right in this class to make homophobic comments.” She stated, “In this class, homophobic comments, racist comments, will not be tolerated.”Militent Radical liberalism socialism

The conservative university professor John McAdams wrote a post on his blog Marquette Warrior in 2014 exposing the student-professor encounter and criticizing Abbate for her intolerance. He concluded, “Like the rest of academia, Marquette is less and less a real university. And when gay marriage cannot be discussed, certainly not a Catholic university.”

When university administrators found out about McAdams’s critical blog post, it was recommended that he be fired. But their policy required that he given due process and a hearing before a committee. Breitbart reported:

It was announced this week that a “diverse” faculty committee recommended to the university president that McAdams be suspended without pay from April 1 through the fall of 2016 and that he lose his job unless he admits “guilt” and apologized “within the next two weeks.” Specifically, the demand is “Your acknowledgement that your November 9, 2014, blog post was reckless and incompatible with the mission and values of Marquette University and you express deep regret for the harm suffered by our former graduate student and instructor, Ms. Abbate.”Big Gay Hate Machine

The conservative university professor said their demands are similar to the “Inquisition, in which victims who ‘confessed’ they had been consorting with Satan and spreading heresy would be spared execution.”Picture1

Obama spent $700 million promoting homosexual tolerance abroad

waving flagBy Ed Straker December 21, 2015

President Obama has spent at least $700 million promoting homosexual tolerance in Africa.  Unfortunately, the initiative seems to have backfired:

Since 2012, the American government has put more than $700 million into supporting gay rights groups and causes globally. More than half of that money has focused on sub-Saharan Africa — just one indication of this continent’s importance to the new policy.

The U.S. support is making matters worse,” said Mike, 24, a university student studying biology in Minna, a town in central Nigeria who asked that his full name not be used for his safety. “There’s more resistance now. It’s triggered people’s defense mechanism.”

America’s money and public diplomacy have opened conversations and opportunities in societies where the subject was taboo just a few years ago. But they have also made gay men and lesbians more visible — and more vulnerable to harassment and violence, people on both sides of the gay rights issue contend. The American campaign has stirred misgivings among many African activists, who say they must rely on the West’s support despite often disagreeing with its strategies.

In Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, the final passage of the 2014 law against homosexuality which makes same-sex relationships punishable by 14 years in prison and makes it a crime to organize or participate in any type of gay meeting — is widely regarded by both supporters and opponents of gay rights as a reaction to American pressure on Nigeria and other African nations to embrace gay rights.

Shortly after Nigeria’s law went into effect, Animashaun Azeez, 24, a university student here, arranged to meet somebody he had chatted with on Manjama, a social network for gay people. The person showed up, along with three plainclothes officers.

Questions for discussion:

1) We have an enormous national debt of nearly 19 billion dollars, such that it seems excessive to spend 700 million dollars on this subject.  With such tremendous debt, do you think we can really justify spending more than 300 or 400 million dollars to promote gay sex in other countries?

2) Do you think this program was flawed to begin with, because there were no metrics taken – e.g., comparing the number of gay sex acts before and after the program began to measure its success?

3) Do you think there should be a greater focus on gay sex in Islamic countries?

4) Do you think funds should also be spent to encourage transgenderism, to encourage Pakistani men who feel transgendered to go into women’s bathrooms, and to encourage cross-dressing members of the Taliban to shower with the ladies as disguised men do here in America?

Christian outfitter ordered to undergo ‘diversity training’ for refusal to print ‘Gay Pride’ t-shirts (Video)

A Lexington, KY, human rights commission ordered the employees of a local apparel company, Hands On Originals Christian Outfitters, to handsonoriginals logoundergo “diversity training” after they refused to print t-shirts celebrating a “gay Pride” festival.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader:

Hands On Originals discriminated against the Gay and Lesbian Services Organization of Lexington when it refused to print the group’s Lexington Pride Festival T-shirts in 2012, according to a hearing officer in the case.

Greg Munson issued his decision Monday. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Human Rights Commission released it Tuesday morning.

“The evidence of record shows that the respondent discriminated against GLSO [Gay and Lesbian Services Organization of Lexington] because of its members’ actual or imputed sexual orientation by refusing to print and sell to them the official shirts for the 2012 Lexington Pride Festival.”

The Real Gay MafiaHands On Originals argued that their objection wasn’t rooted in the sexual orientation of the customers, and even gave the group the name of another local vendor who would complete the order at the same price Hands On Originals would have charged. The Herald-Leader reported:

Hands On Originals contended that it declined the T-shirt order because it is a Christian company and disagreed with the message of the shirt. The shirt was a stylized numeral 5 on the front. On the back was “Lexington Pride Festival” and a list of sponsors of the gay pride event.

The Alliance Defending Freedom, an Arizona group defending Hands On Originals, released a statement announcing its disappointment with the ruling, which it said would also require printers to do business with controversial groups such as the Westboro Baptist Church, which is known for its extreme ideologies, especially against gay people.

“No one should be forced by the government — or by another citizen — to endorse or promote ideas with which they disagree,” said ADF Senior Legal Counsel Jim Campbell, who argued before the hearing examiner on behalf of Hands On Originals.

“Blaine (Adamson, of Hands On Originals) declined the request to print the shirts not because of any characteristic of the people who asked for them, but because of the message that the shirts would communicate.”why

Local attorney Bryan Beauman, who served as co-counsel on behalf of Hands On Originals agreed, and suggested an example where the tables may be turned.

“No one wants to live in that kind of America — a place where people who identify as homosexual are forced to promote the Westboro Baptists and where printers with sincere religious convictions are forced to promote the message of the GLSO,” he said in a statement. “In America, we don’t force people to express messages that are contrary to their convictions.”The Persecution has Begun

As for myself, I keep wondering what would behoove a gay and lesbian pride organization to place an order with a company called “Hands On Originals Christian Outfitters” if not to initiate a lawsuit.cause of death

The United States of America Needs a Revival of Conservatism

Without True Conservatism, The Obama’s Of The World Will Prevail

Recently, Republican Party Chairman, Reince Priebus, announced plans to spend $10 million dollars reaching out to minority groups in a bid to attract a different group of American voters. The Republicans also plan to begin to embrace immigration reform and to soften the party’s stance on gay-marriage. A recent study commissioned by Republicans concluded that the party’s electoral success hinged on becoming more “inclusive and welcoming” of “non-traditional voters.” In other words, the Republicans are caving, and moderate and liberal influences are about to take over what is left of the opposition party, and conservatism is about to be bloodied.

Apparently, the Republican Party no longer wishes to pretend to represent “old white male” conservative voters. The people that work hard, pay their taxes, and raise their families to love God, respect morality and observe the law. Somehow, Republicans have come to view winning as more important than fighting the good fight. Somehow, Republicans have come to believe that Log Cabin Republicans and children of illegal aliens will provide for the Republican Party of tomorrow and I resent their foolishness. It will only cause the future defeat of their party and the further destruction of America.

Soon to be invited to the Republican ranks, the minority homosexual community or the “Log Cabin Republicans,” was a group founded in 1977 to defeat California legislation (see Briggs Initiative) banning homosexuals from teaching in public schools. Since its birth as a homosexual advocacy group, the Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) has only endorsed one Republican candidate for President, John McCain. All prior Republican Presidential candidates failed to secure this groups support because all Republican candidates subscribed to the traditional definition of marriage and paid little attention to the false cause of gay rights.

Many wrong thinking Republicans believe this group shares a conservative ideology. Aside from what some consider a fiscally conservative, small government, low taxes, free markets, strong defense slant, nothing could be further from the truth. Log Cabin Republicans support liberal causes including “Corporate Diversity”; ”Family Fairness”; and “Is Sexual Orientation a Choice?” It is also worth noting that LCR was instrumental in defeating “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (see Log Cabin Republicans v. United States) and refused to participate in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). I wonder why.

I lost my faith in any established political party a long time ago. They are all, owned by “big money” influences of one philosophy or another. The Republican and Democrat Party have both done their fair share of damage to the U.S. Constitution and fiscal strength of our nation. Now it appears both parties wish to destroy what is remaining of traditional American values by setting up the old “big tent.”

I have some news for Republicans. I only vote for conservatives. Your national party has not been worth a damn since Reagan left office. You are losing the political fight because few of you possess the courage to tell the truth and stand for traditional American values. You may move to the center to accommodate your newfound homosexual constituency and the entitlement cultured Hispanics like your competition President Obama, but in the end, you will lose the core of your party, conservatives.

Without tradition, there is nothing conservative. The basis for Conservatism is tradition. Voting Republican does not make anyone a conservative any more than owning a gun makes one a constitutionalist. If conservatism fails to win the culture war reshaping our government and political parties, we will all become a nation of indentured servants and slaves to the coming tidal wave of immoral tolerance washing over our Republic.

Rarely do Americans consider the long-term costs of “feel good” ideas like tolerance and social justice. Instead of acknowledging their failures and working to correct the damage they have caused the Republican Party is about to undertake a “rebranding” by unfolding its “Big Tent” strategy again. A vision that includes gay marriage, dual citizens, and the entitlement addicted. Big money influences have laid down the law and Republican lackeys are bowing to their demands.

Political favors will not solve America problems. Respect for honored traditions by honorable men and women will. If the Republican Party turns its backs on conservatism, they might as well hand the government over to the Democrats. Based upon the last 13 years there does not seem to be much of a difference, just one failure after another.

Damn these Cowards!

Another Result of a Lightless, Unsalty, Lukewarm Church in America

Obama Seeking to Criminalize Biblical Concept of Marriage

In 1996, the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was overwhelming passed by both the US House and Senate.  President Bill Clinton signed the bill into law and the biblical definition of marriage being between one man and one woman was protected by federal law.

In 2011, President Barack Obama violated his oath of office and the US Constitution by instructing US Attorney General Eric Holder to stop enforcing the Defense of Marriage Act.  Holder, Obama’s little puppet who is supposed to be the top cop of the country, was more than happy to carry out his handler’s instructions.

Since that time, Obama has worked long and hard at trying to destroy the biblical concept of marriage as being a holy union between one man and one woman.  He has opened the military to gays and lesbians, he has order military chaplains to perform same-sex marriage and union ceremonies and he has pushed for benefits to be given to the unmarried same-sex partners of gay military personnel even though they aren’t married.  The same benefits are to be denied to the unmarried partners of heterosexual military personnel.

Now, the Obama administration has filed a brief with the United States Supreme Court, asking them to strike down Section 3 of DOMA.  The White House claims the section is unconstitutional because it denies the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages which prevents them from extending benefits to those same-sex partners.  The benefits include health, Social Security survivors’ benefits and income taxes.

The brief filed by the Obama administration reads in part:

“Gay and lesbian people are a minority group with limited political power. Although some of the harshest and most overt forms of discrimination against gay and lesbian people have receded, that progress has hardly been uniform (either temporarily or geographically), and has in significant respects been the result of judicial enforcement of the Constitution, not political action.”

This demonstrates just how far the administration has gone to redefine the Constitution along with the Christian values our nation was founded upon.  Matt Barber, Vice President of Liberty Counsel Action says that the brief is wrong on two counts:

“Not only did the president abdicate his duty to defend a law that was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support, this president has taken it a step further and he is now engaging in radical homosexual activism.”

“If people are given special, suspect minority status based on aberrant sexual feelings and behaviors, then the Christian view that says homosexual behavior is both self-destructive and immoral … essentially becomes criminalized.”

Barber also says that once Obama was re-elected, that the real man emerged from behind his political mask.  If Obama succeeds in overturning DOMA, he believes that will open the doors to mass attacks on Christianity and Christian values.  Before long, living the Christian faith will be a crime.  It has happened in Canada and the UK where people have been charged with crimes, especially hate crimes for preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality.

The wolf has emerged from the sheep’s clothing and he is ready to devour Christians and Jews alike.  Before Obama’s second term expires, I would not be surprised to see Christians and Jews being arrested and jailed on a daily basis for anything they say or do that involves defending their religion.  We will end up like the Christians in China who ended up going underground and worshiping in secret.

But not me!  I refuse to denounce my Christian faith or my Christian values.  If I’m not willing to go to jail or even be tortured for Christ sake, then I am not worthy to be called a Christian and deserve the worst possible treatment there is.  We either die with Christ or we die separated from Christ.  I know which I choose.  Where will you stand?
