Gay Mayor Who Heavily Attacked Kavanaugh Now Desperate for Due Process

Reported By Ben Marquis | Published February 18, 2019 at 7:09pm

During the contentious confirmation hearings of then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in October 2018, countless officials and pundits on the left played the role of judge, jury and executioner in regard to vague and uncorroborated allegations of sexual assault lodged against the nominee.

One of Kavanaugh’s many outspoken critics was the Democratic mayor/city council member of West Hollywood, John Duran, who was sharply critical of the judge’s behavior during the confirmation hearings and seemed to have uncritically accepted at face value the unconfirmed allegations of sexual misconduct that had been made public.

West Hollywood media outlet WEHOville reported in Oct. 2018 that Duran had joined with the rest of the city council to officially condemn Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the high court. Duran said, “Brett Kavanaugh’s display of rage and belligerence at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings proves that he does not have the temperament to be a judge — much less on the Supreme Court.”

“It is abhorrent to think we are placing our future, our equality, and our liberty in the hands of a drunken frat boy who sexually assaulted a teenage girl while his friend Mark Judge stood by and laughed. This is a sad moment in the history of our nation,” Mayor Duran added.

Fast-forward just four months and now the openly gay mayor of West Hollywood is singing an entirely different tune when it comes to the credibility of sexual misconduct allegations against individuals in positions of power, as he has come under fire in his own “#MeToo” scandal.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Duran stands accused of having sexually harassed at least three current or former members of the Gay Men’s Chorus in L.A. — of which Duran serves as chairman of the board — which consisted of his sticking his hand down their pants or making sexually suggestive comments.

The mayor also stands accused of using the gay dating app Grindr during public meetings, including in at least one instance of using the app’s messaging service to repeatedly make unwanted and inappropriate sexual advances toward an aide for a fellow council member.

On top of that, Duran has also been linked to the scandalous deaths of two gay black men at the home of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck. Duran, who is also an attorney, used to represent Buck.

Despite calls for him to resign from several of his fellow council members, the unashamedly homosexual mayor stands defiant, and told the Times that it was all just a “culture clash,” and that, “If somebody expresses himself or herself sexually, that doesn’t make it harassment, per se.”

As to the use of Grindr to pursue sexual acts with the council member’s aide, that aide’s boyfriend — city events service coordinator Mike Gerle — filed a formal complaint against the mayor. Gerle said, “It’s about consent. … He has this sense of entitlement that because we’re gay, ‘I can do whatever I want with you because that’s our culture.’ He’s decided that’s our culture. He doesn’t understand that every gay man gets to decide what interactions he has. You don’t get a pass.”

For his part, Duran hypocritically sought to demand the due process he had denied Kavanaugh and defend himself from the accusations lodged against him in a lengthy statement posted to Facebook, a post that concluded with a vehement “HELL NO” in response to the demands that he resign.

Duran wrote, “SEXUAL HARASSMENT is a serious issue. Accusations must be taken seriously and addressed. This has been extremely painful for women for decades and decades. But once the allegations are made and received, there MUST be an investigation before conclusions are reached.”

“This is DUE PROCESS of law in the courts. And I know those rules do not apply in the court of public opinion,” he continued. “It’s much easier in this social media world for people to read something, ‘like’ it, retweet it and then move on.”

“But none of us (including me) wants to ever be accused falsely and have people jump to opinion and conclusion without any process in between. That is contempt prior to investigation,” he added, apparently oblivious to how differently he treated Kavanaugh versus how he demands to be treated.

After playing up all of the work he had done over the years on behalf of the gay community, Duran noted, “Now, I understand that the ground has shifted in a tectonic way with the ‘Me Too’ movement. I get that. But the pendulum swings too far when accusation is treated as truth, and mobs swirl around rumor and conclusions are drawn based on someone’s race, gender or sexual orientation and accusation alone. That leads to injustice.”

Too bad Duran didn’t apply that same standard to Kavanaugh just four months ago, while he hypocritically now demands it be applied to himself.

California To Ban the Sale of Bibles?

Reported By Benjamin Arie | April 19, 2018 at 4:53pm

URL of the original posting site: https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/california-to-ban-sale-of-bibles/

When you think about the censorship and outright banning of books and opinions, do you imagine the United States of America? Or, more likely, does that kind of suppression strike you more as the tactics of communists or fascists that America has frequently fought against?

If liberal lawmakers in California get their way, that west coast state may be one step closer to being unrecognizable as part of the United States. A bill currently pending in the legislature would essentially ban the sale of books that include traditional Christian views on marriage and sexuality.

Shockingly, the proposed law could even be construed to make it illegal to sell Bibles, since they include verses that the far left finds unacceptable.

Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an ‘unlawful business practice’ to engage in ‘a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer’ that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in ‘sexual orientation change efforts with an individual,’” explained National Review.

That’s a lot of legalese to digest, so let’s break it down. What the bill basically says is that anything that can be seen as trying to impact a person’s sexual orientation would be illegal to sell or offer. This would almost certainly include traditional Christian counseling services and books.

“The bill then defines ‘sexual orientation change efforts’ as ‘any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex,” continued National Review (emphasis added).

“Efforts to change behaviors” is where the real problem is. After all, almost all counseling and even common psychiatric care are intended to “change behaviors” in various ways.

If you think about it, that’s the entire reason people seek help in the first place: They want to stop drinking or becoming angry or, yes, having troubling thoughts about their sexuality.

It’s also worth pointing out that the bill as written would apply to people who are trying to change their own behavior. This would mean that if a person was struggling with same-sex behavior or sexual identity and they themselves wanted to change, it would be illegal for them to buy any book meant to help them with this. The problem here isn’t limited to Christian books. Bizarrely, the bill appears to put almost any counseling or psychiatric service in the cross-hairs.

For example, let’s say a man has the paraphilia of crossdressing or transvestism. For whatever reason, the person has become addicted to wearing women’s clothes and has found that showing up to work in high heels and a dress has a negative impact on his life. Setting aside any personal judgment about this lifestyle choice (how liberal of us), suppose he voluntarily seeks counseling to get a handle on this problem. Maybe he just wants to stop being addicted to cross-dressing in public.

It’s his own choice. Yet counselors or books intended to help him would be illegal because they’re “efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions,” in the words of the proposed law.

You might consider that example silly, but this concern is rather serious: If passed, it could only be a matter of time before the law’s extremely vague wording is used against traditional Christian teachings in the Bible.

Take Romans 1:26-27, for instance. This verse calls out homosexuality as “shameful” and encourages Christians to not act in this way.

Then there are 1 Peter 1:15-17, Romans 6:1, and Ephesians 4:22-24, all of which direct followers of Christianity to abstain from homosexuality even if they have those desires.

Let’s be extremely clear: The point of this article is not to lecture about gay lifestyles. There are an increasing number of gay conservatives who have reached their own conclusions about their beliefs, and many are on the front lines of the culture war.

You don’t even have to particularly agree with the Bible verses mentioned here to see the problem. Efforts like the proposed bill represent dangerous slippery slopes that would use the legislature to attack traditional beliefs, and even mainstream views that happen to be at odds with the far-left agenda. If nothing else, it’s an affront to the free exchange of ideas — yes, even ones that someone might dislike — and a censorship of speech.

“No one doubts that (Christianity’s) teachings on sexual morality are increasingly unpopular,” summarized National Review. “But they remain constitutionally protected, and no state legislature should be permitted to ban a ‘good’ (such as a book) or a ‘service’ (like counseling) that makes these arguments and provides them to willing, consenting consumers.”

It’s amazing that the same liberals who bemoan “government in the bedroom” eagerly jump at the chance to give the same government control over sexual and moral topics the moment it helps their cause.

Even non-Christians and political moderates need to fight against the new wave of suppression before a 21st-century iron curtain appears. Free speech is everyone’s fight.

Two Important Articles That Are Relevant For Conservatives and Christians

Proposed Federal Law: Don’t Sway People from Homosexuality — or Else

Written by  Selwyn Duke Tuesday, 19 May 2015

URL of the Original Posting Site: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/item/20909-proposed-federal-law-don-t-sway-people-from-homosexuality-or-else

In the beginning, the homosexual agenda was about the right to be an “out” Proposed Federal Law: Don’t Sway People from Homosexuality — or Elsehomosexual without government interference.

Now it’s about using the government to prohibit efforts to get out of homosexuality.

And the latest attack on this front is the ominously named “Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act” (TFPA), which would ban same-sex-attraction and “gender identity” reparative therapy. This is psychological counseling whose goal is to help people mitigate or eliminate unwanted same-sex attractions or the phenomenon whereby a person’s perceived sex doesn’t match his actual one.

The TFPA was introduced in Congress today by Representative Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), who authored his state’s 2012 ban on reparative therapy. After the Golden State’s action, D.C. and New Jersey (with Governor Chris Christie’s signature) followed suit in prohibiting the therapy, and a similar ban is in front of openly bisexual governor Kate Brown of Oregon.

Yet while the above bills prohibit only reparative therapy for minors, according to Philly’s Josh Middleton, the TFPA would apply to all ages. Moreover, while the wisdom of such bans should be questioned, there’s no question that states have the constitutional power to enact them. Yet nowhere in the Constitution is the federal government empowered to involve itself in such matters.

As to what this involvement would be, Middleton provides some details, writing, “The ‘Therapeutic Fraud Prevention Act,’ explains the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), ‘would amend the Federal Trade Commission Act to clarify that providing conversion [reparative] therapy to any person in exchange for monetary compensation or advertising such services is an unfair or deceptive act or practice. This legislation would give the Federal Trade Commission the duty to enforce this provision in accordance with existing law.’”

Of course, labeling the therapy “deceptive,” critics would say, is deception itself; it’s predicated on the unproven notions that same-sex attraction and “gender identity” are always inborn and unchangeable, and that trying to alter them has negative psychological effects.

Adding to the deception, Lieu states at his website that reparative therapy “is a dangerous but often overlooked form of discrimination against LGBT Americans.” Yet this turns truth on its head. No one is forcing anyone else to participate in therapy. It is Lieu’s bill that discriminates by, as Regina Griggs, executive director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, put it, taking “away the rights of parents and children to receive help.”

Junk Science?

Lieu calls reparative therapy “crappery” while Griggs position is that his “legislation was not based on science,” writes the Washington Times. So where does the junk science truly lie?

One fashionable idea underpinning Lieu’s argument is that homosexuality, and this could apply to “gender identity” as well, is inborn. Yet despite media obfuscation, no “gay gene” (pertaining to happiness or homosexuality) has been discovered. In fact, a 2001 Columbia University study found that among identical twins (who share identical genetics), the same-sex attraction experienced by one was shared by the other only 10 percent of the time. And while there are theories regarding how intrauterine hormonal anomalies might lead to a lack of masculinization of a boy’s brain — creating a lad who supposedly has a “female brain” — brain scans aren’t used in particular cases to prove the innateness of homosexuality or “gender identity” (note: this usage of “gender” is agenda-driven. The term should be applied only to words). So, put simply, the science is inconclusive.

But history may not be. For example, homosexuality was institutionalized in ancient Spartan military camps, and it wasn’t uncommon for Athenian men to chase after adolescent boys. Does this mean that most all ancient Greeks had a “gay gene”?

Let’s accept for argument’s sake, however, the supposition that homosexuality can be inborn. Given the historical point above, and common sense’s dictates, would anyone say that same-sex attraction could not be a purely psychological phenomenon in even 1 out of 10,000 cases? That would be a truly radical assertion. But if it is possible, then it could be so in 2 out of 10,000 as well, no? Or it could be 10, 20, or 50.

Or 200.

The point is that science can’t say — and Ted Lieu certainly doesn’t know. Yet he would deny psychological help to those in whom same-sex attraction is a purely psychological phenomenon.

But what if it is inborn, at least in certain cases? Isn’t trying to change it then a trespass? Well, this philosophy isn’t applied to most anything else. There are many inborn abnormalities, such as cleft lip, Spina bifida, Down syndrome, club foot, and Tay-Sachs disease. We happily remedy them whenever possible, unimpeded by people saying, as activists do when justifying homosexual behavior, “God doesn’t make mistakes.”

Speaking of which, one also might ask: If “God doesn’t make mistakes” (and, presumably, everything is ordained), why do the same activists advocate so-called “gender-reassignment surgery”? Shouldn’t we conclude that if God wanted you to be a member of the opposite sex, He would have created you that way? And consider further the contradiction: Lieu and his fellow travelers would forbid doctors from trying to change people’s minds — which could be a purely psychological process — but happily allow doctors to change their bodies, which certainly are innately determined.

The reality is that inborn status tells us nothing about correctness. Factors between the ears are no exception, either, and it’s particularly dangerous to assume otherwise in their case. As I wrote in February:

The same social scientists telling us homosexuality is innate also claim that psychopaths are born and not made. Does this make psychopathy a legitimate state of being? And what if it’s found that some people are born with homicidal instincts? Would it be okay for them to commit murder?

… Then there’s this study indicating that racial bias is innate. Will the Left now move to rescind anti-discrimination law?

Some may now say murder and racial discrimination are different because they hurt another person. (Of course, others assert that engaging in deviant sexual behavior with another also hurts the person.) But if what “hurts” others is to be our yardstick for determining rightness, then the inborn argument becomes irrelevant. As I continued:

After all, whether or not an action reflects inborn urges tells us nothing about whether or not it hurts another.

Stating the obvious, the inborn argument could be applied to anything inborn. Logically translated it says: If a feeling is innate, the actions associated with it are okay. This eliminates morality completely and replaces it with biological determinism (BD). This is why accepting the BD argument means accepting everything that can be proven to be inborn — even if it’s pedophilia, bestiality, or murder. It’s just a slightly more sophisticated way of saying “If it feels good, do it.” But biology does not determine morality.

Unfortunately, morality doesn’t generally determine politicians’ actions. The good news is that as with sexual feelings but with far less difficulty, politicians can be changed.

Huckabee: Gays ‘Won’t Stop Until There Are No More Churches’ No More People ‘Spreading the Gospel’

By Michael W. Chapman | May 19, 2015

URL of the Original Posting Site: http://cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/huckabee-gays-wont-stop-until-there-are-no-more-churches-no-more-people

Commenting on the attacks against Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act by gay activists and liberals, former Gov. Mike Huckabee said it was a “phony crisis” manufactured by the left, but it revealed how intolerant they are of Bible-believeing Christians and showed that they “won’t stop until there are no more churches” and “no more people who are spreading the gospel.”

The attacks on Christianity “won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the Gospel, and I’m talking now about the unabridged, unapologetic Gospel that is really God’s truth,” said the former Arkansas governor and ordained Southern Baptist minister during an interview on “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.”

The Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) is a law that says no business or enterprise can be forced to provide a service if the business owners believe it would “substantially burden” their religious beliefs. Nineteen other states, in addition ot Indiana, have RFRA laws and Congress passed a federal RFRA that was signed into law by liberal President Bill Clinton in 1993. However, when Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, a Republican, signed his state’s RFRA into law in March, homosexual activists protested, including Apple CEO Tim Cook,  and liberals such as Hillary Clinton, claiming the legislation was discriminatory.

Within a few days, the Indiana legislature made revisions to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act to pacify the left-wing critics.

Speaking about this to radio host Tony Perkins, who also is the president of the Family Research Council, Huckabee said, “Tony, this is bizarre and I think it’s a phony crisis. It’s been manufactured by the left, just as was the war on women. There was no war on women. The left has gotten very good at creating a crisis, something to divide the country, something to create the sense in which ‘we have to go after these conservatives because they’re trying to trample over our rights.’”

“It is a classic example of, really, a page out of 1984 when what things mean are the opposite of what they really are, and that’s what I’m seeing here,” said Huckabee. “In the name of tolerance, there’s intolerance. In the name of diversity, there’s uniformity. In the name of acceptance, there’s true discrimination. It’s just bizarre. And the sad thing is a lot of these major companies and CEOs are just capitulating.”

“Here’s what’s even sadder to me,” he said.  “A lot of the people in the political realm are just deciding that it’s easier to fold and quit than it is to fight. The result of that is we invite more of this. Nobody likes to have a fight, nobody likes to be hated. Sometimes you just have to stand up and say, you’re wrong on the issue and I’m not backing down because your facts are not facts. They’re fiction, and we’re not going to stop.’”

In response, Tony Perkins said, “The core principle of a civil society is that we all are different and we have different beliefs and different ideas, and we tolerate one another.  The idea that you would go into a place of business that engages in – we’re talking about wedding vendors here – and force someone to do something that’s against their will instead of just saying, all right,  I don’t agree with you and I don’t like that you don’t like what I’m doing but, you know what, I’m going to go next door to the other florist. Instead of doing that, what they’re doing is using the government to force somebody to engage in something. Now, some people will say it’s just this thing with same-sex weddings. No, actually, if as you pointed out earlier, where does this stop? Where will it stop?”

Huckabee said, “It won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the Gospel, and I’m talking now about the unabridged, unapologetic Gospel that is really God’s truth.”

Michael Dale “Mike” Huckabee, 59, is married and has four children. In addition to his political career and work as a Christian minister, Huckabee has written several books, including the 2008 New York Times best seller Do The Right Thing: Inside The Movement That’s Bringing Common Sense Back to America.   His latest book is God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.

Are You Aware of the Avalanche of ‘Gay’ Programming Assaulting Your Home?

Recently my long time friend, Lee Grady, highlighted in print the deaths of notable Christians. Ann B. Davis, beloved actress, was one of them.

Yet at the same time in a publication on newsstands is the headline that she was really a lesbian!

I don’t believe it.

In theaters across America right now is a movie called “Foxcatcher” dealing with the true story of multimillionaire John DuPont’s killing of Olympic wrestler Dave Schultz.

The movie also implies a homosexual relationship between John and Dave’s brother Mark. The latter categorically denies any such involvement.

NFL castaway, Michael Sam, who unashamedly kissed his “lover” on national TV, was interviewed recently by Oprah Winfrey and celebrated the fact that many NFL players call him and admit they’re  gay but  just haven’t come out yet.

Regularly on TV celebrities and “experts” celebrate the “fact” that probably 25-30% of Americans are really gay. Accurate statistics don’t bear this out as the actual figure is somewhere between 2-3%.

“American Idol” is launching its new season amidst declining viewership. Not long ago they featured a commercial to try and spice things up a bit. A handsome hunk was struggling with his electronic device until a hot babe told him about Amazon Kindle. Convinced she had the better product, he invited her to celebrate by joining him and his gay “husband” for a drink.

What’s going on? A lifestyle that Romans 1:24-27 labels as “immoral,” “indecent,” “shameful,” “unnatural” and a “perversion”  bringing a “due penalty” is conveyed to tens of millions of unsuspecting children, teens and parents as normal, acceptable behavior.

The indoctrination and propaganda coming from those advocating a gay lifestyle in our country, classrooms and culture are increasing. All of us need to take note and take action to guard those we love.

We are Being Bombarded!

Awhile ago I was in New York’s Greenwich Village sharing a meal when I engaged my waiter with this question, “Are there a lot of gay people in the Village?” With a sly smile and twinkle in his eye he retorted, “Everybody in the Village is gay!”

Now I didn’t believe his hyperbole for one minute but I know what’s behind that statement. Convey the impression that the LGBTQ lifestyle is simply an alternative way of living that is beautiful, natural and acceptable. God calls it “abominable” and our mission is to convey love and gospel truth in a winsome way to rescue those in deception.

But first, are you really aware of this avalanche sweeping across our society today? It’s not a trickle — it’s a Tsunami!

“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible” (Eph. 5:11-13).

Focus on the Family ministry warns: “The people behind our nightly diet of network and cable programming have a gay agenda.”

Here’s how Hollywood is promoting homosexuality right now:

  • Super-hyped “Empire” series starts with Oscar nominee Terrence Howard having a homosexual son – and he’s a hunk.
  • “Glee” features over five gay characters.
  • Home and remodeling reality shows regularly feature lesbians and gays in partnerships exploring homes.
  • “Modern Family” features a gay couple who married over two episodes recently.
  • “Ellen DeGeneres” celebrates her lesbianism and “marriage” in between appearances of  guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls.
  • “Dancing with the Stars” hosts a gay judge and gay couples.
  • “Biggest Loser”  had lesbian Jillian Michaels as a role model coach.
  • “The Good Wife” now has a lesbian/bisexual investigator.
  • “Scandal” has two gays.
  • “2 1/2 Men” just added a lesbian daughter.
  • “Grey’s Anatomy” highlights a lesbian couple with their child.
  • “Survivor” and other reality shows regularly parade homosexuals as contestants.
  • Anderson Cooper boasts openly on TV he’d rather “have sex” with a man plus co-hosts New Year’s Eve festivities nationwide.

GLAAD (The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), GLSEN (The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), HRC (Human Rights Campaign) and a multitude of other LGBTQ advocacy groups have multimillion-dollar budgets and work aggressively to convince Americans that homosexuality is a beautiful way of life – maybe for your child or grandchild?

What Can We Do?

1. AWARENESS – The above overview  is not exhaustive but intended to alert us to this bombardment hitting our homes.

2. ALTERNATIVES – Purchasing wholesome DVD series and streaming selected programs are great alternatives. The Fugitive, Gunsmoke, Little House on the Prairie, I Love Lucy and other award-winning shows are all available and cheap. My son has two adopted young boys who are growing up with Wally, Larry Mondello, Eddie Haskell and the Beaver and can’t wait till the next episode!

3. ALERTNESS – Stay engaged and alert to  teaching opportunities when unseemly characters “pop up” on the screen. Whether pausing the program for a quick moment of instruction or following up later at bedtime, in the car or at the table, skillfully share on God’s design for a man and a woman and the sanctity of marriage.

Passivity is not an option. Check out how aggressive these well-funded and well-organized groups are in targeting innocent and impressionable children. In elementary schools, high schools, colleges and the media, LGBTQ advocates are extremely deceptive, sophisticated and strategic in working to lead a  generation over the cliff to destruction.

As “salt” and “light” Christians, we represent a bulwark against this tidal wave of unprecedented evil. May all of us be found faithful and vigilant at our posts.

Hollywood Threatens Christian Actor

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/07/25/hollywood-threatens-christian-actor/

July 25, 2014 By

Luke Grimes
Last season when actor Luke Grimes joined the cast of HBO’s True Blood, he did so under the premise that his actor was heterosexual. After all, the character he played, James Kent, was trying to sweep a female vampire character off her feet and begin a relationship. But, as production of the show continued, Grimes found out something about his character that made him uncomfortable and chose to resign from the hit show because of it.

The writers of the show made a sexual orientation change in Grimes’ character. They were going to have him begin a bisexual relationship with a gay Shovingcharacter, Lafayette, played by Nelsan Ellis.

Grimes, the son of a Pentecostal pastor, was raised a devout Christian. Based upon his beliefs, he did not feel comfortable playing the role of a bisexual character. So, he went to the production company and asked to be let out of his contract.

While the production company agreed to do so, his move has been met with harsh criticism and threats that his career will be ruined. Some argued that Grimes should have known there was a possibility that his character would turn bisexual, even though there was no evidence of that when the role was discussed, because True Blood has homosexual characters and the creator of the show, Alan Ball, is openly gay.

While Grimes had no problem with Nelsan’s character of Lafayette being attracted to his character, he would not submit to any same-sex kissing or same-sex sex scenes. The writers would not alter the direction of his role and were intent on Grime’s character becoming bisexual and entering into a gay relationship with a homosexual character.

These creative differences in the development of his character led Grimes to make the decision to leave the show. That decision has made him a target of critics who believe actors should play whatever role they are given, whether gay or straight. He was replaced by Nathan Parsons.

The associate editor for the homosexual focused OUT Magazine, Stacy Lambe, said, “It’s unfortunate that an actor today would feel uncomfortable play gay, especially on a program that has always put LGBT characters from and center. But Nelsan Ellis and Nathan Parsons are proof that Luke Grimes is not the norm. Grimes is the exception.”

So, because two actors have no problem playing homosexuals, it makes the devout Christian who does have a problem with it an outcast, according to Lambe. It should be noted that a recent government survey found that only 1.6% of the population identify as homosexual.

Nelsan commented, “You quit your job because you don’t want to play a gay part? You make a big statement when you go, ‘I don’t want to play this part

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

Click on image to see movie trailer and more

because it’s gay. You just made a statement, and it has ripple effects.”

In other words, Christians are not allowed to make choices in which roles they’ll play or which scenes they will do if that choice goes against the progressive homosexual agenda push. Nelsan and Lambe may as well have said to Grimes, “Check your beliefs and principles at the door. Do as you are told, even if it means it goes against your personal beliefs.”

Should Grimes have no choice in the matter of whether he will play a homosexual or bisexual role?  To some, he should not and doing so should have negative consequences. Going against the progressive agenda and refusing to participate in homosexual sex scenes will and should impact his career, according to a professor specializing in LGBT and TV issues at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. This professor, Larry Gross, said that the unwillingness to participate in homosexual sex scenes is a bad career move that could negatively impact ones’ career. He added that refusing to play a bisexual role, even if that includes same-sex kissing and same-sex sexual encounters, is not a good career move.

So much for the Left’s support for choice.

The rally, organized by the National Organization for Marriage and other groups, is expected to have 20,000 attendees according to Rev. Owens.

TIM CONSTANTINE:  “You can agree with any president, or disagree with any president on political issues, but I am absolutely stumped on this. Because we have any number of issues going on around the globe. We’ve got trouble with our economy here; we’ve got trouble with jobs here; we’ve got trouble in Iraq; we’ve got trouble in Russia, the Ukraine; we’ve got trouble throughout the Middle East, and yet his [Obama’s] attention this week has been pushed on two things. One, let’s let illegal immigrants in–we’ll leave that one alone for now, but also lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights. That’s been his big issue of the week.

Does he have any idea there are other issues going on in the world? Why is that a priority for him?

REVEREND BILLY OWENS:  I wonder. I wonder if he really does know what’s going on in the world. I just really wonder.

You see, I believe, I know, when President Obama was first elected, he was for same-sex marriage then, but the deal he made with the gay community was ‘I must get elected the first time by saying I’m for marriage between a man and a woman.’

But the deal was, in the second term, he was going to take it over with a passion [homosexual marriage], and that he was done.

He has bowed, he has bullied, he has done everything to satisfy and pacify the gay community.

Tim Constantine asks the reverend what the “end game is” and that if marriage is redefined, after thousands of years of history to the contrary, as being simply between consenting adults, wouldn’t that open up the possibility of polygamy? “Where does it end,” Tim asked.

“It’s a terribly slippery slope,” Rev. Owens contended. “They intend to turn this whole society as if we have no gender,” he continued, giving the example of a new law passed in California which allows boys to use girls restrooms.

“It’s terrible that this president has started this country on an immoral course, Rev. Owens said in disgust. “This is the most immoral president we’ve ever had.”

Reverend Owens group, the Coalition of African American Pastors has also been strongly pushing for the impeachment of Attorney General Eric Holder.

Gay MAfiaAccording to a concerned parent in Oakland, California, Glenview Elementary School recently indoctrinated children with an assembly that taught children as young as 5 “queer” history and the meaning behind the rainbow flag.

Beginning with a long explanation as to the value of diversity, the assembly took a turn for the inappropriate when a homosexual activist parent took to the stage to explain the history of the rainbow flag and sing songs about homosexual freedoms.

Parents were not alerted to this assembly, however, and one irate parent shared a video of the assembly that the school had put on their website. According to the irate parent,

There is a video on the school’s website showing the assembly… It was nothing more than homosexual indoctrination about the meaning of the rainbow flag and “queer” history. On stage was the rainbow flag but NO American flag. And then a “gay men’s chorus” sang songs about homosexual “freedom.”

PI 19This is an elementary school and children as young as 5 were present. Like I said, parents were NOT informed in advance. My child brought home a bookmark with the rainbow flag on it and a quote from radical lesbian poet activist, Audre Lorde, whose work includes a book called “Uses of the Erotic.” This is for Elementary School! …

Then they show videos about how all “families” are the same – two dads, two moms, etc. The video of the entire assembly is on the school website.

While many might consider it alright for children to be exposed to this kind of discussion, such decisions are definitely one to be made by parents, not school administrators.
The Glenview parents were not alerted to this assembly and promoting a homosexual lifestyle to children in the context of a discussion about the value of diversity is tremendously inappropriate.

“When you have to resort to sneaky behavior, you already know your message is wrong. PI 20Shoving this message down our throats has gotten bitter. It has to stop. The righteous indignation of Christian parents has to rise to thunderous proportions. We have to do this together. Our children are dear to God and His wrath is ready to fall. I do not want to be one that wrath falls on because I stayed quiet.” JB
