The Republican-controlled House approved legislation Friday that would undo parts of ObamaCare and block federal funding to Planned Parenthood – though it faces turbulence in the Senate, and a certain veto from President Obama should it reach his desk. The bill passed 240-189. Complete Message

Though Republicans have gone after the Affordable Care Act before, as well as Planned Parenthood, this bill is unique in that it uses a parliamentary tactic to make it easier to pass the Senate. Republicans wrapped the bill in a procedure that would shield it from a Senate filibuster — meaning it will need only 51 votes to pass that chamber, as opposed to 60.

But it’s no guarantee that the 54 Senate Republicans would back it, as it faces potential opposition from moderate Republicans concerned it goes too far and GOP senators running for president saying it doesn’t go far enough. A pair of presidential contenders — Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Marco Rubio, R-Fla. — along with Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, sent a letter this week to House Republicans urging opposition to the bill, saying “This simply isn’t good enough.”

Still, House Republicans cast the bill as a way to would help them sharpen political differences with Democrats for next year’s elections.  “This is our best opportunity to date to put the bill on the president’s desk and show the American people where his priorities lie,” said Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn.

The legislation would eliminate the health law’s requirements that most people who don’t have employer-provided health coverage buy individual policies, and that most companies provide medical insurance. It would also eliminate the statute’s taxes on medical devices and high-priced insurance policies.

It also prevents Planned Parenthood from getting federal money for a year — the GOP reaction to secretly recorded tapes that showed the group’s officials describing how they sometimes provide researchers with tissue from aborted fetuses.how many body parts

Democrats called the debate a political charade and a waste of time, saying the House has voted 61 times to repeal all or part of Obama’s prized health overhaul since the GOP took control of the chamber in 2011.  This is a hyper-partisan document that is just talking points for extremists,” said Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif. In a statement promising Obama’s veto, the White House said the GOP measure “would take away critical benefits and health care coverage from hard-working middle-class families.” Delusional Mental Illness Gibberish

Lawmakers actually managed to prevent a bailout this time. (Photo: franckreporter/iStock)

Being sick of ObamaEarlier this month, the Obama administration announced that insurers who lost money selling Obamacare would not get a $2.5-billion bailout. It was great news for taxpayers, but it didn’t happen by chance.

Both chambers of Congress worked very hard to make those savings possible. And lawmakers will have to continue working hard to keep bailouts like this from happening in the future.

Here’s how Congress did it this time. But first, some background.

Obamacare used generosity to overcome insurance companies’ objections to its excessive regulation. For starters, the law mandated that everyone buy their product. It created new subsidies to help people make those purchases. And it massively expanded Medicaid, which is largely administered by insurers.

untitledThe law also created two back-end bailout programs designed specifically to benefit insurers selling Obamacare plans in the individual market. Goody No. 1 was a reinsurance program that reimburses Obamacare plans for most of the expenses run up by people with high annual claims. Funded by a tax on everyone with non-Obamacare coverage, the reinsurance program shoveled nearly $8 billion to Obamacare insurers last year.

The second bailout provision was a “risk corridor” program designed to collect payments from insurers who made excess profits—as determined by the federal government—and make payments to insurers with excess losses. If the government didn’t collect enough from profitable insurers to cover the compensatory payments, taxpayers would be stuck with covering the “shortfall.”

The design amounted to a double bailout, with taxpayers on the hook for subsidizing insurance company losses on the back end as well as for the front-end subsidies and mandates that benefited insurers.Tyranny-care

The Democratic leadership was able to bulldoze Obamacare through Congress. But many lawmakers felt that this sweetheart deal for insurers was a raw deal for taxpayers. In 2014, they decided to look into it.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform scheduled a Feb. 5 hearing entitled “Obamacare: Why the Need for an Insurance Company Bailout?” The day before that hearing, the Congressional Budget Office released a study estimating that risk corridors would make the government $8 billion. Democrats gleefully trumpeted the projection at the hearing, with the Committee’s ranking member claiming that “billions of dollars in savings would simply disappear” if the risk corridors were eliminated.

RushObamacareTaxesPIX-300x204But committee Republicans were skeptical. The CBO’s assumption seemed inconsistent with anecdotal evidence that insurers were enrolling a disproportionately older, sicker population in Obamacare plans. To get a clearer picture of what was happening, the Oversight Committee began soliciting information from insurers themselves. Their investigation confirmed that enrollees were generally older and sicker than anticipated—and that insurers expected to net about $1 billion from risk corridor payments that spring.

The Committee released its preliminary findings at a June hearing. During that meeting, Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., then the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, raised a new issue: the questionable legality of the administration’s plan to transfer taxpayer funds to insurers Obamacare Suppositoriesthrough the risk corridor program.

In January, Sessions’ committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee had identified that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) lacked an appropriation for bailing out insurance companies through the risk corridors. They asked the Government Accountability Office to look into the matter. That September, the GAO issued its legal opinion: the administration would need an appropriation from Congress to make outgoing payments.

Of course, once insurers realized that the risk corridor payments might be limited to whatever was collected from companies offering profitable plans, their lobbyists descended in droves, arguing that premiums would skyrocket unless lawmakers propped up insurers by letting taxpayer dollars flow through the risk corridors.

Fortunately, Congress rejected this bullying and decided that taxpayers should not be forced to bail out insurers that lost money on Obamacare plans. On Dec. 2, 2014, the Senate Republican Policy Committee issued a paper entitled “Ending Obamacare’s Insurance Company Bailout.” Shortly thereafter, Congress made the death-panelrisk corridor program budget-neutral for fiscal year 2015.

Now we know exactly how much that decision saved taxpayers this year: $2.5 billion. But what about FY 2016 and beyond? Congress will need to buckle down again—and either repeal the risk corridors entirely or maintain budget neutrality until the program ends.

Last month, it was a Muslim flight attendant who sued her airline after it suspended her for refusing to serve booze. This month it’s two Muslim truck drivers, except in this case, handling booze — which is forbidden under Islamic law — was pretty much their entire job description.

The pair, Mahad Abass Mohamed and Abdkiarim Hassan Bulshale, had the backing of the federal government in their religious discrimination lawsuit against their former employer, who rightfully terminated them for refusing to make beer deliveries.Picture1

The Washington Examiner notes that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission won $240,000 in damages to the former drivers, both of Somali heritage, who were fired in 2009.

The EEOC said that Star Transport Inc., a trucking company based in Morton, Ill., violated their religious rights by refusing to accommodate their objections to delivering alcoholic beverages.

“EEOC is proud to support the rights of workers to equal treatment in the workplace without having to sacrifice their religious beliefs or practices,” EEOC General Counsel David Lopez announced Thursday. “This is fundamental to the American principles of religious freedom and tolerance.”

The EEOC argued that Star Transport could have easily reassigned the men to other jobs, but the reverse argument — that Mohamed and Bulshale could have just as easily sought employment in an area that doesn’t compromise their religious principles — is no less valid.

The jury awarded Mohamed and Bulshale $20,000 each in compensatory damages and $100,000 each in punitive damages. The judge awarded each about $1,500 in back pay.

Bulshale said following the judgment, “This case makes me proud to be American.” Really? What would he know about that?

Muslims are good family people who practice the “Religion of Peace,” right?

To paraphrase Bill Clinton, I guess that depends on your definition of “peace.” Side question, “Is Bill Clinton a Muslim?”

We’ve got some pictures for you that demonstrate what good family folks Muslims really are. I know I feel a lot different after seeing these pics.

Here’s the one the title of our post refers to …

Dad is smiling and his daughters wives are dressed appropriately for Muslim little girls wives.

That’s right, they’re his wives. They’re faces are covered so you can’t see them grinning from ear to ear. Or something.

Here’s another example. This one is from Gaza.

You know, that strip of land next to Israel populated by some of the most vile terrorists in the world. Speaking of terrorism …

Note how tall all the Muslim men seem in these pictures. I wonder why that is?

During a recent interview with the Daily Beast, actor Anthony Mackie (Falcon in The Avengers) said that race is irrelevant when it comes to directors, with specific reference to the search for the man or woman who will direct Black Panther for Marvel:

“As a director your job is to tell a story. You know, they didn’t get a horse to direct Seabiscuit! The thing is I don’t think the race of the director has to do with their ability to tell a story. I think it’s all about the director’s ability to be able to relate to that story and do it justice. I think men can direct women, and two of my greatest work experiences were with female directors.”

I’m certain this comment will generate a tidal wave of indignant comments on social media, as well as from the Hollywood elite, but he’s correct. A director’s job is to understand a story and the characters in that story. You don’t have to be black to direct Black Panther, just as you don’t have to be a man to direct an all-male action movie. But this runs contrary to the liberal narrative.

To the left, people aren’t individuals, but commodities that can be moved about to best benefit the liberal agenda.

  • Black people can be used to promote the idea that racism is rampant among police;
  • Hispanics can be used to promote amnesty;
  • gays can be used to promote anti-religious bigotry;
  • women can be used to promote an anti-man ideology.

All these things not only push forward certain beliefs the left hold dear, but guarantees the Democratic Party the votes of these particular subsets of people.

That’s why the Democrats were concerned when Joe Biden was considering running for president; there was no added benefit. In fact, CNN’s Carol Costello even said:

“If [Biden] enters the race, he’ll just be another white person running on the Democratic side, right? If you take a look at the Republican side, some say it’s the most diverse in history.”

Liberals don’t see people for their individual gifts, but for their basic inalterable attributes–skin color, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, etc. In that way, Joe Biden would have added nothing to their deck. Basically, Democrats view politics as one giant game of Pokemon, and their candidates as Pokemon cards.

No! I don’t need a Bidensaur, I already have a Berniemander, and a Hildabeast. They all have the same powers: Old-Age, and Whitewash. Sure, Hildabeast has Femalegility, but it’s a really weak attack!illegalalienvoters-300x300

By separating Americans into different categories, the Democrats can build the perfect, winning deck, and expand their own power by targeting particular subgroups with specified “attacks.”

  • They tell black people that they’re under the boot of white conservatives;
  • they tell women that conservatives want to take away their birth control, and turn back the clock;
  • they tell Hispanics that conservatives despise them, and don’t want them in this country;
  • they tell gays that conservatives want them dead.
  • Then, they convince these subgroups of voters that the Democratic Party is the only thing that can defend them, and if they don’t vote Democrat, the future will be a dystopia in which women, immigrants, blacks, and gays will be poor, imprisoned, and executed.Buying votes

Conservatives, on the other hand, treat all people the same. We know that people cannot, and should not be reduced to their inalterable, basic traits, separated, then fed particular bits of information to make them do what we want them to do. We know every person has individual struggles and goals, and that our political philosophy of self-agency and individual empowerment can help them, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. It’s called having empathy, and intellect. When a liberal tells a woman that only women can understand the issue of abortion, they’re implying men have no capacity to empathize with women, and intellectually grasp the concept of abortion. When they tell black people that whites cannot possibly understand black issues, they’re erasing what makes us human.War on Christians

No one can fully experience what anyone else is going through, but we have the capacity to, from an outside perspective, empathize and understand the problem. That’s how we survive; that’s how laws are made. You don’t have to cut your own hand off to know it’s a bad idea. But to liberals, only the handless can possibly understand that cutting your hand off is a bad idea, and therefore, the fully-handed shouldn’t get involved.

The Republicans have the most diverse field in history, and the Democrats only have two old, white people, but so what? What really matters is ideas. And when it comes to ideas, conservatism doesn’t divide and conquer, it unites people through common sense principles.Dems-Debate-NRD-600

We’re not building a deck to advance our own expanse of power, we’re building a prosperous and healthy society of individual Americans.

Cartoon

Justin Johnson wrote earlier this week on President Obama’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act:

Instead of dealing with the bill on its merits, Obama is using the defense bill for political leverage. This is the wrong way to handle our national security.

Many Americans rightfully find Washington’s way of doing things disturbing. Instead of treating issues individually, politicians will often attach unpopular policies to popular bills in order to ram them through. For example, just this summer, members of Congress were trying to attach the Export-Import Bank reauthorization to the Highway Bill, two completely unconnected issues.

Conservatives and liberals alike find this practice of linking unconnected issues disturbing. A particular proposal or issue should be considered on its own merits. If it can’t pass alone, it probably shouldn’t pass.

Holding Defense Budgets Ransom

If Congress shouldn’t do this, than the president shouldn’t either. But that’s just what Obama is doing by vetoing the defense authorization bill. The president is not vetoing the defense bill for any policies that are in the bill, but is simply using the veto for political leverage to increase non-defense spending.

To be clear, the defense bill cannot increase non-defense spending.

In fact, the defense bill doesn’t spend any money—it just establishes authorized budgets and policies for our military. But in this case, the facts don’t matter. Obama has been clear that he wants more spending for his domestic, liberal priorities and he is willing to use the defense bill as leverage.

Important Reforms

This defense bill has a wide range of important provisions, some of which the president may not like. The bill keeps terrorist detainees at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. It provides for lethal defensive aid to Ukraine. It cuts overgrown Pentagon bureaucracies and begins reforming the military’s retirement system.

A debate about any of the provisions in the bill is legitimate and important. But vetoing the bill for political leverage is not how Washington should operate.

What makes this move by Obama even more concerning is that non-defense spending has been steadily increasing, while defense spending has been steadily decreasing. Since 2008, non-defense discretionary spending has increased by 7 percent while defense discretionary spending has decreased by 14.6 percent.

If you include the major entitlement expansions under Obama, the numbers are even more striking. Social and economic spending has increased 37 percent from 2008 to 2015.

In short, the president’s domestic priorities have been seeing significant funding increases while defense has been cut, but the president wants more and is willing to hold defense at risk.

Obama should not be using our military for political leverage. The budgets for the president’s liberal priorities have gone up significantly while he has been in office, but the president isn’t satisfied and is willing to use a national security bill as leverage for more. Vetoing the defense bill in order to increase domestic spending is wrong and is Washington at its worst.

Shifty-600-LIJERUSALEM—Ordinary Israelis are furious about the Obama administration’s accusing Israel of committing acts of terrorism, drawing moral equivalency between the Jewish State and the terrorists who seek Israel’s destruction. On Oct. 13, Secretary of State John Kerry suggested at a forum hosted at Harvard that Israel’s building additional residences in West Bank towns—which Israel’s opponents refer toBack-stabed1 as building settlements, carrying the connotation that Jews are “settling” land that belongs to someone else—is provoking the current wave of attacks against Israel. The following day, Kerry’s spokesman at the U.S. Department of State—John Kirby—was asked to clarify Kerry’s remarks.

Kirby was asked, “You do consider it an act of terrorism. Okay, so that would suggest then that you believe that this is—that both sides are, in fact, committing these…” Kirby cut off the questioner to respond, “Well, I would say certainly individuals on both sides of this divide are—have proven capable of, and in our view [are], guilty of acts of terror.”America Antisemitism

Israelis whom Breitbart News talked to on the streets of Jerusalem were less than enthusiastic about the comparison.

1406862781006-WebOnly072914indy-gazaYoav Rotem is a tour guide in Israel, whose business takes groups to historical, cultural, and religious sites across the country, as well as conducting wine-tasting tours. Shown this quote, he responded, “It’s a bit stupid. Two Israelis were involved in an act that was terrible but he’s putting me in the same category as if I were a terrorist. I do not want to wipe the Palestinian people off the map.” Rotem noted that his perspective was as someone who deals daily with foreigners as he takes them on tours. He believes that Israelis who do not regularly deal with Americans might have a more blunt assessment: “Many regular Israelis would simply say of Kerry, ‘He’s a son of a bitch.’”

Breitbart News also spoke with an Israeli soldier, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to comment on U.S. policy. “That is insane,” he began. “We punish anyone who deliberately attacks innocent people, and do everything to avoid harming civilians. The Palestinians deliberately target civilians, and celebrate those who succeed.”

I am from the US GovernmentElliot Chodoff, a leading Israeli counter-terrorism agent whom Breitbart News has quoted previously in this series of reports, remarked a couple days later— not in response to Kerry’s and Kirby’s words, but regarding current pressure from Washington— “The United States says Israel must show restraint, when we have had one thousand rockets fired into Israel over the past year. I wonder how America would respond if a thousand rockets were launched into New York or New Jersey.”

Shifting gears, he adds:

“Then IDF [Israeli Defense Force] responds to take out the attackers and the rocket launchers, who are launching against Israeli civilians, firing from Gaza’s schools, and hospitals, and other civilian locations, and sooner or later civilians are killed during the response—because all humans make mistakes, and war is messy, and the reality is that there are almost always unintended casualties during military operations, especially in urban settings—then the United Nations issues a statement condemning Israel for human-rights violations.”D-Shied-590-LI

Back in the U.S., Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reacted to the remarks from Kerry and Kirby in a press statement: “The Obama administration is the most hostile we have seen towards the nation of Israel in our nation’s history.” Calling the remarks an “unfounded slur” that is “utterly unacceptable,” he added, “We must immediately and unconditionally reject the delusion that the coordinated Palestinian frenzy of bloodlust is in any way legitimate. There is no moral equivalence here between the savagery of the Palestinian terrorists and the innocent Israelis they are trying to murder.”Half-Way-590-LI-300x214

I AM A PERSON with PoemThe House of Representatives today approved a bill that will use the reconciliation process to approve legislation to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business, which has been caught selling aborted babies and their body parts. The House passed the Planned Parenthood de-funding bill on a 240-189 vote margin with all but seven Republicans voting for the bill and only one Democrat willing to vote to de-fund Planned Parenthood after it kills unborn babies in abortions and sells their body parts for profit. (Scroll down to bottom to see how your member voted.)

“Fighting for families hurt by the President’s health care law and for women and children harmed by abortion providers has consistently been a priority of mine,” said Representative Randy Hultgren of Illinois.

PP MonsterHe applauded the bill for prohibiting all federal mandatory funding for one year to abortion providers while the House continues its investigation into Planned Parenthood’s activities. He said by redirecting $235 million in federal funds to community health centers for the next two years. Community health centers are widely available and provide a full range of health services for women. There are 670 community health care centers in his home state of Illinois vs. only 18 Planned Parenthood centers and there is a similar breakdown in states across the country.

Today’s vote comes just one day after hackers posted online new footage of shocking Planned Parenthood videos that the Center for Medical Progress has not had a chance to release to the public but that have been provided to a Congressional committee investigating Planned Parenthood.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

After the House approved a previous de-funding measure, Senate Democrats defeated a bill to fund the federal government that included language de-funding Planned Parenthood for one year while the Congressional investigation continues into how it allegedly violated multiple laws to sell aborted babies and their body parts.

how many body partsThe legislation the House approved today would hopefully be able to overcome the Democrats’ filibuster and be approved on a majority vote in the Senate.  H.R. 3762 is a special once-a-year measure called the “reconciliation bill.” Unlike almost every other kind of bill, the “reconciliation bill” cannot be filibustered in the U.S. Senate — so it can pass with only 51 votes, rather than 60 (of 100 senators). Republicans currently hold a narrow majority in the U.S. Senate, 54-46.

The bill would block, for one year, most federal payments to Planned Parenthood. At least 89% of federal funding of Planned Parenthood would be blocked by this bill. The bill would repeal a number of major components of the Obamacare health law, including two of the major provisions that will lead to rationing of lifesaving care — the “Independent Payment Advisory Board” and the “excess benefits tax.”Complete Message

Dozens of leading pro-life groups have already indicated their support for the bill, including the National Right to Life Committee. In a letter to members of Congress that NRLC provided to LifeNews.com, the group indicated it strongly supports the bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood.

“NRLC strongly supports the language in the bill that would block, for one year, most federal payments to affiliates of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). It would close the largest pipeline for federal funding of Planned Parenthood, Medicaid, and apply as well to the CHIP and the Title V and Title XX block grant programs, thus covering roughly 89% of all federal funds to Planned Parenthood. The amounts denied to Planned Parenthood in effect are reallocated to community health centers,” the pro-life group explained.

“Over one-third of all abortions in the U.S. are performed at PPFA-affiliated facilities. Longstanding objections to the massive federal funding of PPFA have been reinforced by recent widely publicized undercover videos, which illuminate the callous brutality that occurs daily in these abortion mills,” NRLC added.Abortion monster

The reconciliation bill also repeals portions of Obamacare, including its rationing components. With regard to the rationing aspects of Obamacare, NRLC strongly supports a repeal.

“In addition, NRLC has always opposed the Obamacare law and advocated its repeal. With respect to H.R. 3762, we particularly endorse the components that would repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) and the “excess benefits tax” (“Cadillac Tax”), both dangerous mechanisms that would ultimately contribute to the rationing of lifesaving care,” the right to life group said.

Leading pro-life groups that also support the reconciliation bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood include Susan B. Anthony List, National Right to Life, Family Research Council, March for Life, Concerned Women for America, Students for Life, Priests for Life, Operation Rescue, and American Life League, among others.

While the reconciliation process would result in getting a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood to pro-abortion President Barack Obama’s desk, Obama has already promised repeatedly to veto any bill that revokes taxpayer funding for the abortion company. The Senate does not have enough votes to overcome such a veto, leading some pro-life groups to point out that there is little hope of de-funding Planned Parenthood until the election of a pro-life president next year.

“The Administration strongly opposes Senate passage of the Senate amendment to H.J.Res. 61, making continuing appropriations for fiscal year (FY) 2016, and for other purposes, which contains highly objectionable provisions that advance a narrow ideological agenda,” the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) said before the vote. Eliminating federal funding to Planned Parenthood would “limit access” to healthcare for women, men, families and “disproportionately” affect low-income people, the OMB said.Bull

Weeks ago, a previous Senate vote on de-funding Planned Parenthood saw Senate Democrats filibuster and block legislation to revoke $550 million in taxpayer funding.

A new Congressional report finds that de-funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business — even for one year — would save “several thousand” unborn babies from the nightmare of abortion. The report also finds de-funding Planned Parenthood would save the federal government $235 million.

The 10th video by The Center for Medical Progress features several top-level Planned Parenthood executives discussing the organization’s secretive practices around aborted fetal parts harvesting. The video includes comments from Deborah VanDerhei, the National Director of the organization’s Consortium of Abortion Providers, describing the harvesting of fetal body parts as “donation for remuneration.”

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all ten:

  • In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
  • In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts.
  • In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs.
  • In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.”
  • In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.”
  • In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
  • In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”
  • In the eighth video: StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer admits Planned Parenthood sells “a lot of” fully intact aborted babies.
  • The ninth video: catches a Planned Parenthood medical director discussing how the abortion company sells fully intact aborted babies — including one who “just fell out” of the womb.
  • The 10th video: catches the nation’s biggest abortion business selling specific body parts — including the heart, eyes and “gonads” of unborn babies. The video also shows the shocking ways in which Planned Parenthood officials admit that they are breaking federal law by selling aborted baby body parts for profit.
  • Unreleased Videos: Unreleased videos from CMP show Deb Vanderhei of Planned Parenthood caught on tape talking about how Planned Parenthood abortion business affiliates may “want to increase revenue [from selling baby parts] but we can’t stop them…” Another video has a woman talking about the “financial incentives” of selling aborted baby body parts.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.comparison

The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.

ROLL CALL OF VOTE TO DE-FUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD:

A yea vote is a vote to de-fund Planned Parenthood. A no vote is a vote in opposition of de-funding.

jasonURL of the original posting site: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capital-weather-gang/wp/2013/09/23/antarctic-sea-ice-hit-35-year-record-high-saturday

Antarctic sea ice has grown to a record large extent for a second straight year, baffling scientists seeking to understand why this ice is expanding rather than shrinking in a warming world.

On Saturday, the ice extent reached 19.51 million square kilometers, according to data posted on the National Snow and Ice Data Center Web site.  That number bested record high levels set earlier this month and in 2012 (of 19.48 million square kilometers). Records date back to October 1978.

“The overwhelming evidence is that the Southern Ocean is warming,” said Jinlun Zhang, a University of Washington scientist, studying Antarctic ice. “Why would sea ice be increasing? Although the rate of increase is small, it is a puzzle to scientists.”

In a new study in the Journal of Climate, Zhang finds both strengthening and converging winds around the South Pole can explain 80 percent of the increase in ice volume which has been observed. “The polar vortex that swirls around the South Pole is not just stronger than it was when satellite records began in the 1970s, it has more convergence, meaning it shoves the sea ice together to cause ridging,” the study’s press release explains. “Stronger winds also drive ice faster, which leads to still more deformation and ridging. This creates thicker, longer-lasting ice, while exposing surrounding water and thin ice to the blistering cold winds that cause more ice growth.”

But no one seems to have a conclusive answer as to why winds are behaving this way.

“I haven’t seen a clear explanation yet of why the winds have gotten stronger,” Zhang told Michael Lemonick of Climate Central.

Some point to stratospheric ozone depletion, but a new study published in the Journal of Climate notes that computer models simulate declining – not increasing – Antarctic sea ice in recent decades due to this phenomenon (aka the ozone “hole”). “This modeled Antarctic sea ice decrease in the last three decades is at odds with observations, which show a small yet statistically significant increase in sea ice extent,” says the study, led by Colorado State University atmospheric scientist Elizabeth Barnes.

A recent study by Lorenzo Polvani and Karen Smith of Columbia University says the model-defying sea ice increase may just reflect natural variability. If the increase in ice is due to natural variability, Zhang says, warming from manmade greenhouse gases should eventually overcome it and cause the ice to begin retreating. “If the warming continues, at some point the trend will reverse,” Zhang said.

However, a conclusion of the Barnes study is that the recovery of the stratospheric ozone layer – now underway – may slow/delay Antarctic warming and ice melt.

Ultimately, it’s apparent the relationship between ozone depletion, climate warming from greenhouse gases, natural variability, and how Antarctic ice responds is all very complicated. In sharp contrast, in the Arctic, there seems to be a relatively straight forward relationship between temperature and ice extent.

Related: Arctic sea ice has *not* recovered, in 7 visuals

Thus, in the Antarctic, we shouldn’t necessarily expect to witness the kind of steep decline in ice that has occurred in the Arctic. “…the seeming paradox of Antarctic ice increasing while Arctic ice is decreasing is really no paradox at all,” explains Climate Central’s Lemonick. “The Arctic is an ocean surrounded by land, while the Antarctic is land surrounded by ocean. In the Arctic, moreover, you’ve got sea ice decreasing in the summer; at the opposite pole, you’ve got sea ice increasing in the winter. It’s not just an apples-and-oranges comparison: it’s more like comparing apple pie with orange juice.”

Linda Sarsour is an energetic purveyor of the “Islamophobia” myth, and has hysterically claimed that “Muslim kids” are being “executed” in the United States. She was instrumental in prevailing upon de Blasio to end legal and necessary surveillance in Muslim communities in New York. She is also a frequent visitor to the Obama White House, and has claimed that the jihad underwear bomber was a CIA agent — part of what she claims is a U.S. war against Islam. She is a practiced exploiter of the “hate” smear against foes of jihad terror and Islamic supremacism, and has never apologized for using the Islamic honor murder of Shaima Alawadi to spread lies about the prevalence of hate crimes against Muslims in America. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of the “Palestinian” jihad against Israel. Given the general support for that jihad among Leftists, and the hard-Left tilt of the de Blasio regime in New York, it is not surprising that her hate-filled endeavors are taxpayer funded. But it is scandalous nonetheless: a grim sign of the times.

NYC adds Muslim holidays to school calendar

Islam is NOTTaxpayers should not be funding this anti-American hate-spewer,” by Andrea Peyser, New York Post, October 23, 2015:

…[Linda] Sarsour, a Muslim activist and ally of Mayor Bill de Blasio, blasted into the mainstream in August with a fawning profile published in The New York Times headlined: “Linda Sarsour is a Brooklyn Homegirl in a Hijab.” Although at age 35, the married mother of three who favors hijabs, or Muslim headscarves, is hardly a girl.

President Obama named Sarsour one of his “Champions of Change.” The daughter of Palestinian immigrants, who told the Times that she wed in an arranged marriage at age 17, is described on the White House website like this: “Ambitious, outspoken and independent, Linda shatters stereotypes of Muslim women, also treasuring her religious and ethnic heritage.”

But some observers got acquainted with Sarsour’s anti-Americanism two weeks after the politically correct Newspaper of Record lionized her. Sarsour, who serves as executive director of the generously city-taxpayer-funded Arab American Association of New York, based in her native Brooklyn, responded when Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz tweeted, “America is and remains a nation built on Judeo-Christian values.”

“Genocide & slavery?” she shot back….

Her outrageous online assaults sank to a depressing level this month, when Sarsour tweeted a picture of a small Palestinian boy standing before Israeli soldiers clutching rocks in both hands. She added the words, “The definition of courage.”

“No, the definition of barbarism,” Queens City Councilman Rory Lancman, 46, responded.America Never Forget

muslim-obamaSarsour has the right to free speech, however reprehensible. So says the US Constitution. But as she waged a social-media war with Lancman, first reported by The Post’s Rich Calder, she seemed unaware that he, too, enjoys the same right.

She tweeted: “city elected official attacking a constituent on foreign policy issue when they weren’t asked. Welcome to NYC Council.”

“You must be especially proud of the 13-yr-old Palestinian who stabbed the 13-yr-old Israeli,” Lancman wrote.

She replied: “don’t put words in my mouth. Shame on you. Using my tax payer $$ to attack people online. Go do your job.”

But this tweet by Sarsour turned the fight downright ugly: “The Zionist trolls are out to play. Bring it. You will never silence me.”

“This is a woman who supports violence and supports terrorists while at the same time proclaiming that this country is founded on Judeo-Christian values of genocide and slavery,” a prominent political insider, who led me to Sarsour’s nasty “genocide” tweet, told me.

“And somehow, she receives taxpayer money,” the insider said. “I think that’s a very sad commentary on where this city and society are right now.”…

Lancman, who is Jewish, put out a statement that read, “Attacking Jews in their homes, schools, supermarkets, cafes, buses, roads, synagogues and seder tables is barbarous, and enlisting children to commit those acts is even more so.”

But he would not comment further to me about Sarsour, or say whether he believed her organization should continue receiving city funds, which have totaled $164,050 since 2012.

Sarsour, a co-founder of the Muslim Democratic Club of New York, has said she’s considering running for the Brooklyn City Council seat that Vincent Gentile, 56, is to vacate in 2017 due to term limits.

The Times piece describes Sarsour as some kind of dynamo, celebrating her for helping to partly dismantle the city Police Department’s surveillance program of Muslims….

Former Secretary of State and Democratic Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton testifies before the House Select Committee on Benghazi on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, October 22, 2015. AFP PHOTO / SAUL LOEB/Getty Images

Vice President Joe Biden’s announcement on Wednesday that he would not run for president of the United States made it a foregone conclusion that the media would worship at the shrine of Hillary Clinton during her Benghazi testimony on Thursday.

They have no other choice. The precious must be protected at all costs, which means covering up for her lies, her calculated obfuscations, and her charmless faux-gravity. Already the narrative has been set: Hillary Clinton was a victim of a political Benghazi committee dedicated to her destruction. Every Congressional committee in history has entailed some political motivation—would anyone argue that the Watergate investigations were completely apolitical?—but the media myopically focused on the idiotic comments of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) before Hillary’s testimony, crafting the story of her victimization before it had even taken place.

Hillary, as always, is the poor, put-upon victim of a vast right-wing conspiracy.

  • She set up a private email server and deleted relevant emails from it for purely political reasons;
  • she pressed for a pointless invasion of Libya for political reasons,
  • chortled at its conquest for political reasons,
  • watched it descend into chaos while doing nothing for political reasons,
  • and then allowed her ambassador to twist in the Libyan tornado without proper security for political reasons;
  • finally, she covered up that disaster by lying about its causes for political reasons. But those who ask questions about such matters are partisan politicians.Hillary_Clinton_Booksigning_Benghazi

As Charles Krauthammer rightly observed on Thursday evening, “We’re not going to get the facts, we’re not going to get the real story underlying it. We’re living in an age where what you say and its relation with the facts is completely irrelevant.”

But after 11 hours of lying—which is only slightly longer than the hours Hillary and her boss’ administration did virtually nothing as Americans died under fire in Benghazi—we may as well examine Hillary’s most important lies.hillary-prison-or-potus

Hillary Cared Deeply About the Human Cost.

Is Hillary to blameHillary kept claiming that she cared deeply about her good friend Chris Stevens. At one point, she whipped out her pre-planned righteous indignation to complain, “I would imagine I’ve thought more about what happened than all of you put together. I’ve lost more sleep than all of you put together.” This was salt in the wound, the equivalent of Johnny Cochrane lamenting his worries over the fate of Nicole Brown Simpson.

Hillary admitted in her testimony on Thursday that her good friend Chris Stevens did not have her private email address, and that she could recall no conversations with him after he became ambassador to Libya. The night of his death, she wrote an email with the subject line: “Chris Smith,” conflating his death with that of diplomat Sean Smith. She didn’t bother speaking with survivors of the attacks until days later.

As to the notion that Hillary lost sleep, she apparently didn’t the night of the attack—she went home instead of sticking around at the State Department or heading over to the White House, because, she said, she had to prepare for what would be a rough rest of the week. She didn’t talk to then-Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta or Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey. We do know that she spent the night alone, a fact which led her to chortle. Hillary may have lost sleep over her failures later—clearly, she spent some time coming up with lies about a YouTube video.Laughing-H-600-LI

Hillary Thought The Attacks Had Something to Do With a YouTube Video.

Hillary maintained on Thursday that she believed the attack still had something to do with the YouTube video, “The Innocence of Muslims.” But the night of the attack, she emailed Chelsea Clinton and told her that an al-Qaeda-like group had killed the ambassador. As Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said to Clinton, “You tell the American people one thing. You tell your family an entirely different story.”Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

In fact, Hillary told the Egyptian Prime Minister the day after the attacks, “We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack. Not a protest.” Hillary tried to state that she had actually told people that some people were pinning the attack on the video, but she herself pinned the attacks on the YouTube video in videos released in Pakistan. She lied, because it was obvious that she had failed in her central duty to protect her diplomats in the most dangerous part of the world—a part of the world she had made more dangerous with her favorite invasion.clinton-obama-benghazi

Hillary Didn’t Use Sidney Blumenthal As an Advisor.

Hillary Clinton had reams of email exchanges with hitman Sidney Blumenthal. Blumenthal had been banned from the Obama administration for his corruption and Clintonian loyalties. Hillary said that the emails were unsolicited.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) shot that idiocy down easily: “You wrote to him, ‘Thanks and please keep them coming,’ ‘Greetings from Kabul and thanks for keeping this stuff coming, any other info about it?’ ‘What are you hearing now?’” Hillary then tried to amend her statement by saying they began as unsolicited emails. Hillary used Blumenthal as an advisor, and she routinely corresponded with him. Any implication to the contrary is absolutely false.Further from the truth

Hillary Was Transparent About Her Emails.

Hillary insisted again on Thursday that she’d been fully transparent about her emails. Even the State Department has rejected that nonsense repeatedly. The hearings did provide some perspective into just why Hillary might have deleted 30,000 emails, however, she claimed that her correspondence about Libya, which dropped dramatically from 2011 to 2012, was not because she cared less about the country—it was because she had people shuttling documents to her in suitcases. In fact, she said, she didn’t even have a computer in her office. A State Department email address could have confirmed whether any of that was true. Now we will presumably never know.Like I Said

Chris Stevens Was Responsible for His Own Death.

Benghazi RemebrenceThe most despicable lie of the day came from Hillary’s defense of her own conduct via ripping Chris Stevens, the dead ambassador. She spent virtually the entire day suggesting that Stevens knew the risks of his job, that he accepted those risks, and that he died knowing those risks. She even said that Stevens “felt comfortable” on the ground. If that is true, it’s certainly odd that the State Department team in Libya asked for more security over 600 times. Hillary said she didn’t receive any of those requests and blamed her security team for not granting more security—all the while saying she took responsibility for what had happened.lying so long

Then, the capper: Hillary said that when Stevens wrote an email asking about whether the Benghazi compound would be closed, he was just being a sly jokester. She said, “One of the great attributes that Chris Stevens had was a really good sense of humor, and I just see him smiling as he’s typing this because it’s clearly in response to the email down below talking about picking up a few ‘fire sale items from the Brits.’” When told that those “fire sale items” were security barricades, Hillary answered, “Well, I thought it showed their entrepreneurial spirit.” Disgusting.

Hillary Clinton was largely responsible for a pointless invasion of Libya, which promptly turned into a terrorist-run hellhole. She was responsible for the security of her diplomats in Libya, but she didn’t provide for it. She had no correspondence with those diplomats on the ground but plenty of time for Sidney Blumenthal. When those diplomats and those who ran to help them were killed, she blamed a YouTube video. And finally, she used her jerry-rigged email server to selectively edit the material the public would see.hillary-prison-or-potus

Clinton ObamaBut don’t worry—Hillary’s the victim. Republicans are the perpetrators. And Chris Stevens is just one more bump in the road on her journey to the White House.Constancy

A congressional committee will investigate reports that the Environmental Protection Agency wasted billions of dollars, including an effort to create its own militia with a prosecution arm to mirror the FBI’s.

Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, told Watchdog.org that a House committee will dig into allegations the EPA bought designer furniture and sporting goods equipment, and handed out hefty employee bonuses and grants to foreign countries – including China.

The charges are outlined in a recent report by Open the Books, a non-profit dedicated to transparency and oversight of government spending. The group analyzed agency spending beginning in 2000.

Despite budget sequestration, which mandated cutbacks and no raises, the EPA has  thrived with its $8.13-billion budget, up $500 million from 2009. In fact, every president has increased the budget since Ronald Reagan in 1981.

“How can the EPA justify spending taxpayer dollars on questionable items like luxury furnishings and sports equipment?” asked Smith. “The agency also appears to have funneled millions of dollars to organizations outside the U.S. The EPA needs to remember they are accountable to the American taxpayer and should justify every dollar they spend.”EPA Monster

Smith, who heads the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology, reviewed a copy of the Open the Books report provided by Watchdog, and said the committee “intends to investigate the possible misuse of public funds.”

The EPA is already on Smith’s bad side for withholding requested documents pertaining to the Animas River spill in Colorado as the committee prepared for a Sept. 9 hearing. During the hearing, an EPA official told the committee the Gold King Mine was walled off as a result of a cave-in. In fact,  the EPA created the barricade, which allowed water to collect behind it — bursting when a hole was drilled, mine owner Todd Hennis told Watchdog.

Lawmakers in that hearing and another committee from the Senate blasted the EPA for its heavy-handed military-style treatment of citizens and companies who inadvertently create spills by “running them out of business” and “forcing them to go bankrupt.”EPA monster 2

Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, said the EPA should be contacting the FBI for heavy-duty law enforcement action if any is needed.

Regardless, some-200 EPA “special agents” have the “latest state-of-the-art ‘policing’ gear such as ‘guns and ammunition up to 300MM,’ ‘camouflage and other deceptive equipment,’ ‘night vision,’ ‘unmanned aircraft,’ ‘radar,’ ‘body armor,’ ‘surveillance equipment,’ ‘mobile GPS monitors,’ and (they) train and investigate frequently alongside joint projects with Homeland Security,” the report said.Tyranney Alert

The EPA and other federal agencies are out of control, constitutionally and otherwise. It’s time to bring them back in line. An Article V Convention of States can restore the Founders’ vision of a limited federal government and curb the power of this and other overreaching federal agencies.

<!– Stephen Baldwin shouts inside Chipotle Mexican Grill during a strike aimed at the fast-food industry and the minimum wage in Seattle, Washington, Aug. 29, 2013. (David Ryder/Reuters/Newscom) –>

The $15 minimum wage increase in the Seattle area “is getting off to a pretty bad start,” according to a new report. Data shows that the Seattle Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) lost 700 restaurant jobs from January to September of this year, and a report from the American Enterprise Institute suggests that this could be the product of adverse effects of minimum wage hikes on restaurant jobs.

“What is also noteworthy about the loss of Seattle restaurant jobs this year is the fact that restaurant employment in the rest of Washington state is booming this year,” writes Mark Perry, an AEI scholar and professor of economics and finance at the University of Michigan’s Flint campus.

A report by Perry, published Wednesday on AEI’s public policy blog Carpe Diem, notes that there has been an increase of 5,800 new restaurant job positions in the rest of the state of Washington.

While the overall job growth rate this year for the Seattle MSA is higher than the national average, the drop in restaurant jobs stands out. The past three years have seen restaurant employment in the Seattle MSA area at an average job gain of almost 4,000 employees during January-September, according to Perry’s work.

“One likely cause of the stagnation and decline of Seattle area restaurant jobs this year is the increase in the city’s minimum wage,” Perry wrote.you think

The Seattle City Council passed a $15 minimum wage ordinance that is currently being phased in. On April 1, the minimum wage jumped to $11 per hour. But correlation does not necessarily mean causation.

Salim Furth, a research fellow in macroeconomics at The Heritage Foundation, points out that the data numbers are for a metropolitan statistical area. The data includes 600,000 people who live in Seattle and 3 million people who live in cities and suburbs that aren’t affected by the Seattle minimum wage ordinance.

It’s too soon to tell for sure, but there is already some preliminary evidence that the recent minimum wage hike to $11 an hour, along with the pending increase of an additional $4 an hour by 2017 for some businesses, has started having a negative effect on restaurant jobs in the greater Seattle area,” Perry wrote.

James Sherk, research fellow in labor economics at The Heritage Foundation, notes to The Daily Signal that the AEI data is suggestive evidence but by itself does not prove that the minimum wage caused the drop in jobs. Sherk says the United States does not have much historical experience with high minimum wages, “but what we have is bad.”

For example, in American Samoa (a Pacific island chain that is a United States territory), a $7.25 minimum wage increase was applied in 2007 by Congress. “This would be the economic equivalent of raising the minimum wage to $20.00 an hour in the continental U.S.,” Sherk’s research states. “American Samoans have a largely separate economy and considerably lower incomes than residents of the continental United States.” According to Sherk, the American Samoa tuna canning industry minimum wage stood at $3.26 per hour in the beginning of 2007. After wage hikes started to apply, canned tuna industry employers began to lay off and cut hours of employees. One cannery shut down in 2009. “Samoan employers responded to higher labor costs the way economic theory predicts: by hiring fewer workers,” Sherk wrote. “Congress hurt the very workers it intended to help.”

Rep. Paul Ryan came to Congress as a 28-year-old policy wonk who had already established his chops in Washington, D.C. Working as a speechwriter for former Rep. Jack Kemp and serving as a legislative director on Capitol Hill gave Ryan a perspective on the policy battles that play out in the nation’s capital.

Over the course of his 16 years in the House, he led the Budget Committee and currently serves as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. He was also tapped to be Mitt Romney’s running mate in 2012. During his time in Congress, he’s accumulated a lifetime average of 63 percent on the Heritage Action scorecard and an 83 percent lifetime score from the Club for Growth.

Now, as he considers a run for House speaker—a job he’ll only do if all factions of the GOP stand behind him—The Daily Signal takes a look at some of the key issues that have shaped Ryan’s career.

1) Abortion: Ryan has supported pro-life legislation and efforts to defund Planned Parenthood. According to Politico, Ryan said, “I support the rights of the unborn child. Personally, I believe that life begins at conception, and it is for that reason that I feel we need to protect that life as we would protect other children.”

2) Budget: Ryan has spearheaded several budget proposals during his time at the House Budget Committee. Ryan’s 2014 proposal sought to balance the budget within 10 years by cutting spending, reforming poverty programs, and importantly, reforming the health care entitlements,” according to The Heritage Foundation’s Romina Boccia. However, conservatives haven’t always approved. One of his plans, the 2013 Ryan-Murray spending deal, was criticized for including a backdoor tax increase in the form of “user fees.”

3) Education: Ryan voted for No Child Left Behind in 2001 before supporting the A-PLUS Act to give more control over funding to local communities. “Many educators and parents have expressed frustration with the numerous federal requirements that have come with NCLB funding,” Ryan said in a 2012 statement. “The A-PLUS Act allows local school districts to implement their own, individual education plans.”

4) Energy: Ryan opposed President Barack Obama’s cap-and-trade initiative. In the 2012 Path to Prosperity proposal, Ryan wrote that the “heavy-handed regulations circumvent accountability to voters and leaves decisions in the hands of a bureaucratic infrastructure … [tying] the hands of small businesses and create a hostile and uncertain business environment.”

5) Financial Bailout: In 2008, Ryan voted for the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program. He argued the vote was consistent with his free-market philosophy. “I’m going to vote for this bill in order to preserve my principles,” Ryan said in a floor speech, “in order to preserve this free-enterprise system.”

6) Gun Rights: Ryan has been a strong proponent of gun rights, voting numerous times against background checks and in favor of pro-gun legislation. A bow-hunter, Ryan is also member of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus.

7) Health Care: Ryan has opposed Obamacare since its passage and recently helped spearhead partial repeal by means of the budgetary tool known as reconciliation. “You can’t fix a fundamentally broken law; you’ve got to replace it,” he wrote in USA Today.

8) International: Ryan wanted to lift the Cuban embargo before supporting it. In 2002, he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that “if we think engagement works well with China, well, it ought to work well with Cuba.” After “learning from friendships just how brutal the Castro regime is,” Ryan has changed his position, The New York Times reported.

9) Immigration: Ryan has supported immigration reform bills that included amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants in the past. Last summer, he outlined a vision that included a pathway to citizenship, bolstered border security, and a fast-track to legal status for the children of illegal immigrants. “People say, ‘amnesty!’ No, it’s taking a problem that’s intractable, that’s been around forever, and trying to fix it in a way that as best guarantees as you can that we’re not going to be in the same [situation] 10 years from now,” he told Hillsdale College students, according to National Review.Resist Amnesty

10) Labor Unions: Ryan remains unwavering in his support of federally mandated, prevailing wages. Opposed by national labor groups like the AFL-CIO, Ryan has enjoyed the support of local Wisconsin unions for his unwavering backing of the Davis-Bacon Act. “He’s supported us on every Davis-Bacon vote that’s been held,” Wisconsin State Council of Carpenters Executive Director Mark Reihl told Mother Jones.

11) Marriage: Ryan voted in 2006 in favor of the Marriage Protection Act, a constitutional amendment that Red Flagdefined marriage as being between a man and a woman. In 2007, though, he supported legislation that would ban workplace discrimination against gays and lesbians. Defending his vote, he told reporters, it wasn’t as if employees “[rolled] out of bed one morning and choose to be gay. That’s who they are.”

12) National Security: Ryan voted to go to war in both Afghanistan and Iraq, later opposing an early military withdrawal. “I believe that the continued engagement in Afghanistan is necessary, and demands careful consideration for the safety of both our Armed Forces and citizens,” he said in a statement.

13) School Choice: Ryan has supported increasing school choice options for families. “Sending your child to a great school should not be a privilege of the well-to-do,” Ryan said in a 2012 speech. “I believe that choice should be available to every parent in our country, wherever they live. Education reform is urgent, and freedom is the key.” In 2011, Ryan voted to reauthorize the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program, legislation that increased school choice opportunities for families inside the District of Columbia.

Contrary to what Obama would like for you to believe, the founding fathers were not very fond of Islam. Check it out from Keith Farrell via The Federalist Papers….

After winning its independence from England, American vessels no longer enjoyed British protection. France, dismayed that the US would not aid it in its war against England, also ceased protection of American ships. The result led to American vessels being raided and plundered by Muslim pirates from the Barbary Coast.

After agreeing to pay 10% of the new nations dismal GDP in exchange for passage, attacks continued. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin were sent as representatives to mediate the problem. It was there that they discovered that the Islamic law the pirates followed made it their duty to attack non-Muslims.

“The ambassador answered us that [the right] was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise,” Jefferson wrote to Secretary of State John Jay, explaining peace was not possible. (The Federalist Papers)

Ben Franklin wrote of his experience: “Nor can the Plundering of Infidels be in that sacred Book (the Qur’an) forbidden, since it is well known from it, that God has given the World, and all that it contains, to his faithful Mussulmen, who are to enjoy it of Right as fast as they conquer it.” (TFP)

John Adams, in his report to Jay, wrote of the Muslim prophet Muhammad, and called him a “military fanatic” who “denies that laws were made for him; he arrogates everything to himself by force of arms.” (TFP)

In a speech delivered on Tuesday at the 37th Zionist Congress, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made waves when he discussed the relationship between Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini.

“Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, ‘If you expel them, they’ll all come here.’ ‘So what should I do with them?’ he asked. He said, ‘Burn them.’”

The New York Times headline declared, “Netanyahu Draws Broad Criticism After Saying a Palestinian Inspired Holocaust.”

The Guardian published a piece titled, “Anger at Netanyahu claim Palestinian grand mufti inspired Holocaust.”

Countless other mainstream media outlets followed suit, piling on criticism of Netanyahu.

Many media outlets insisted on referring to Husseini as a Palestinian, despite the fact that the leader of the Arabs in British Mandate Palestine would never have been referred to as a Palestinian because that title was sometimes reserved for the Jews living there. In fact, it was PLO leader and Egyptian-born Yasser Arafat who was widely recognized as one of the first leaders of the Palestinian movement, which began as a result of the Arabs’ defeat in the Arab-Israeli war in 1967.

A member of the PLO Executive Committee admitted as much in a 1977 interview when he said: “The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.”

Netanyahu later clarified that his greater point was to say that, far before the concept of an Arab-Muslim Palestinian ever existed or before the modern state of Israel was declared, Islamic leaders in the land still sought to eliminate the Jews.

“My intention was not to absolve Hitler of his responsibility,” he later explained. “But rather to show that the forefathers of the Palestinian nation, without a country and without the so-called occupation, without land and without settlements, even then aspired to systematic incitement to exterminate the Jews.”

“Hitler was responsible for the Final Solution to exterminate six million Jews; he made the decision,” a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office added. “It is equally absurd to ignore the role played by the mufti, Haj Amin al -Husseini, a war criminal, for encouraging and urging Hitler.”

The Israeli Prime Minister is speaking of the same Mufti who once said, broadcasting in Arabic from Berlin, “Kill the Jews wherever you find them – this is Allah’s will.”

Whether or not the Mufti actually convinced Hitler to go forward with his plans is a fair topic for debate.

However, the Mufti did support and encourage Hitler in his quest for worldwide Jewish extermination, as proven through historical transcripts provided by the U.S. Holocaust Museum.

In November 1941, the two leaders met in Berlin to discuss the future of the Jewish people living in British Mandate Palestine. Hitler told Husseini that the “struggle against a Jewish homeland in Palestine” would be part of his larger efforts against the Jews. Hitler assured him that when the German army advanced on the Middle East, he would announce to the Arab world that “the hour of liberation is at hand.” Their only goal, Hitler said, “would be the annihilation of Jewry living in Arab space under the protection of British power.”

Moreover, according to the prosecution team during the Nuremberg trials, the Mufti did indeed play a role in facilitating the annihilation of European Jews.

“The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry for the Germans and had been the permanent collaborator and advisor of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of the plan… According to my opinion, the Grand Mufti, who had been in Berlin since 1941, played a role in the decision of the German government to exterminate the European Jews,” an SS officer admitted during the trials.

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, a man who is revered by some as the founding father of the Palestinian movement, was undoubtedly a supporter of the extermination of Jews, an uncomfortable fact that the international pro-Palestinian Left has not addressed in its criticism of Netanyahu.

Illegal Immigration Giant

It’s easy for man to let others die if those who are dying are out of sight. That much we’ve learned from war. Setting aside the morality of particular wars, war is easy to support when you’re not the one fighting. This ethical defect we’ve developed as a species was on full display this week when the Senate voted down Kate’s Law.

Kate’s Law, otherwise known as the “Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act,” would have withheld federal grants from sanctuary cities (cities that refuse to obey federal immigration laws, thus protecting criminal illegal aliens), and mandated a minimum five-year prison sentence for any illegal caught re-entering the United States who had a prior aggregated felony conviction, or two prior illegal re-entry convictions.

This bill was colloquially known as Kate’s Law because San Fransisco resident Kate Steinle was shot and killed in July by Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an illegal alien and seven-time felon who had previously been deported five times.

The bill, which needed 60 votes to move forward, was blocked 54-45. 45 Senators voted against the bill, almost all of whom are Democrats (Lindsey Graham didn’t vote).

Prior to the vote, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said:

“The standard rhetorical device that so many Democratic Senators use is to say ‘Well, not all immigrants are criminals.’ Well of course they’re not…but this bill doesn’t deal with all immigrants, it deals with one specific subset of immigrants: Criminal illegal aliens. Those who come to this country illegally and also have additional criminal convictions, whether homicide, whether sexual assault, whether kidnapping, or battery, or drunk driving…For every Democratic senator, this vote today is a simple decision: With whom do you stand? Do you stand with the violent, criminal illegal aliens who are being released over and over again?”

illegalalienvoters-300x300It’s been argued–even by conservatives–that such mandatory sentences would burden our already overpopulated prisons, which would be fiscally imprudent. I understand that argument, however, the alternative to imprisonment is deportation. And as we’ve learned from the Kate Steinle killing, deportation doesn’t do very much when we have a porous border.

Democrats and Republicans love to brag about deporting criminal illegals while someone like Francisco Lopez-Sanchez entered into the United States illegally five times. Wow, we’re doing such a great job with those violent criminal illegals! Hey, is that Francisco creeping across the border AGAIN?! You little devil!

Also of note, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) reported that in 2013, ICE released 36,007 “convicted criminal aliens” into the wind. Of the 36,007 criminal aliens, 193 had been convicted of homicide, 426 of sexual assault, 303 of kidnapping, and 1,075 of aggravated assault. This is a severe problem.

The Kate Steinle killing wasn’t some freak thing. We basically don’t have borders, and apparently, we just release many of the criminal illegals we do manage to snag.

To the Democrats–and singular Republican Mark Kirk–who voted against Kate’s Law, I suppose you’ve revealed your priorities. You care more about your agenda, whatever the end goal may be–voters for Democrats, and cheap labor for Republicans–than you do about human life.

illegalalienvoters-300x300I say this because in addition to voting against this law, you continuously obstruct any and every attempt to secure the border unless it’s packaged with “comprehensive” immigration reform legislation (translation: amnesty).

If someone is rushed into the ER with multiple stab wounds, gushing blood, the doctor’s first priority is to stem the blood-flow, not give the exsanguinating patient antibiotics. Similarly, if we don’t first secure the border, dealing with illegals who are already here doesn’t really matter, because we still have a gaping wound.

Regardless of the law itself, and the arguments against it fiscally, or on other grounds, Cruz is correct. The 45 Senators who voted ‘No’ on Kate’s Law, and the Senators who block “border security first” bills again and again–all to advance an agenda–bear the full burden of Kate Steinle’s death, as well as any subsequent deaths at the hands of criminal illegal aliens.

But it’s just so easy to let people die when you aren’t watching them take their final breath, isn’t it?

ObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ARTPitiful-Deal-NRD-600Secretary of State John Kerry must be quite the negotiator. The Foreign Policy Initiative has compiled not U.S. opening positions but rather President Obama and Kerry’s red lines, almost all of which Obama and Kerry collapsed upon.

For example, in December 2013, Kerry spoke about the need for Iran to dismantle its nuclear program, a position in line with six UN Security Council Resolutions, and yet Obama and Kerry ultimately blessed Iran maintaining more P1 centrifuges than Pakistan maintained when that state built its nuclear arsenal.

Then, there was the underground nuclear facility at Fordow. Speaking at the Brookings Institution, PerspectiveObama said, “We know that they don’t need to have an underground, fortified facility like Fordow in order to have a peaceful nuclear program.” He was right, but conceded Iran’s ability to maintain its hardened facility anyway.

When it comes to Iran’s uranium enrichment, Obama and Kerry conceded Iran’s “right to enrich” right out of the gate, the negotiating equivalent of meeting the used car salesman’s first price, and then limiting negotiations to whether or not there would be leather seats. Don’t worry, the deal proponents said. Iran would take its surplus enriched uranium stockpiles and dilute them or convert them into oxide.

Obama%20Netanyahu%20Iran%20Nuke%20Deal%20CartoonWell, it seems now that Iran had other plans. According to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Iran may sell its enriched uranium “to a foreign country” in exchange for additional natural uranium.

So, a plan that Obama and team swore would make the Middle East and the world safer and successfully contain proliferation may now actually increase the provision of enriched uranium to countries that may harbor ambitions to proliferate themselves. Araghchi did not mention to which countries Iran might sell enriched uranium, nor has the United States Missing-Piece-600-LIasked. Now, many potential producers of natural uranium the United States need not worry about: It is doubtful, for example, Japan, Australia, or Bulgaria. But, there are other countries — Algeria and Argentina — for example, that could present real problems should they seek to jump-start their nuclear programs. Argentina’s relationship with Iran, in particular, bears closer scrutiny, especially after the assassination of Alberto Nisman, a prosecutor who was pursuing illegal Argentine-Iranian dealings.

Much can be said about the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the so-called Iran deal. That it made the world safer is not a claim that can be Bright-Future-NRD-600substantiated, however, as Iranian declarations and revelations coming seemingly every single week now demonstrate.

PP MonsterFollowing up on her strong statements calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood, Carly Fiorina’s stop at Carolina Pregnancy Center last month made her the fifth Republican presidential candidate to visit the center over the past year.

After accompanying a mother 17 weeks into her pregnancy for an ultrasound, Fiorina continued to build her conservative platform on the sanctity of life with a short address from the center’s foyer. She joins Jeb Bush and former candidate Scott Walker, who have each visited the center in the past two months.

“The character of this nation cannot be about butchery of babies for body parts,” Fiorina said, according to coverage at NewsMax.com.

“Liberals and progressives will spend inordinate amounts of time and money protecting fish, frogs and flies. They do not think a 17-week-old, a 20-week-old, a 24-week-old is worth saving. This, ladies and gentlemen, is hypocrisy, and it goes to the core of the character of our nation.”I AM A PERSON with Poem

After challenging Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama to watch the videos released by the Center for Medical Progress that detail Planned Parenthood’s complicity in the for-profit sale of body parts harvested from aborted babies in the Republican debate Sept. 16, Fiorina has continued her outspoken tenor.

During Sunday’s appearance on Meet the Press, Fiorina called for Republican members of Congress to stand firm on their commitment to defund Planned Parenthood, even if it means forcing Democrats to shut down the government over their refusal to redirect funds from the abortion giant to Federally Qualified Health Centers.

“If (Democrats) are willing to stand up and defend this practice and shut down the government over it, then let them explain it to the American people. Let them explain it,” Fiorina said.

“Do you know what I find amazing? The hypocrisy of Democrats who will stand up and oppose ever time, say, taxpayer funding for pregnancy centers that are also very much focused on women’s health. But no, Democrats don’t want taxpayer support for pregnancy centers. I just visited one in South Carolina, they are all privately funded. This is hypocrisy.Abortion monster

Meanwhile, Peggy Hartshorn, Ph.D., president of Heartbeat International, hailed the recent flurry of visits by politicians to pregnancy centers as a positive development in the pro-life conversation.

“If we truly want to move toward a culture of life in the United States, we need to continue to point women and families to where they can find compassionate, practical help,” Hartshorn said. “Pregnancy help centers and medical clinics like this one in South Carolina set the standard for true compassion and support for women. These centers, as well as maternity homes and nonprofit adoption agencies, personify what it means to be pro-life and pro-family.”

Bernie Sanders Defines Democratic Socialism not a dirty word 2016 presidential campaign election

capitalism-socialism

Once upon a time, referring to a Democrat as a “socialist” was an insult. Now? Not so much. HotAir’s Allah Pundit pointed out Monday that in a few short months, full throttled socialism is making a comeback. Data released by YouGov explored socialism tolerance among political parties.

Compare the stats from May:

may1

To the stats from October:

oct

socialism749% of Democrats surveyed have a favorable opinion of socialism compared to 11% of Republicans, and only 37% of Democrats enjoy capitalism the way 72% of Republicans do.

It’s worth noting that Republican numbers wavered slightly as well: a 2% increase in socialistic favorability and a 7% loss in capitalism love. Yet those numbers are still reflective of the ideological norms of most Republicans.

What accounts for the rapid Democratic shift leftward?

In a word: SandersMentum. You can thank Bernie for sparking the resurgence in socialism’s popularity among Democrats. Running as a “Democratic Socialist,” Sanders has promised free everything, hearts Scandinavian style social programs, and has the coveted Occupy Wall Street endorsement.

But surely Sanders’ proclivity towards the dreaded S-word is an outlier, right?

Socialism2Not exactly. Democrats desperately trying to distance themselves from the Scarlet S struggled to explain how their party platform and socialism are incongruent with one another. DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz attempted to to rebrand “Democratic Socialism” as “Progressive Populism,” but not even MSNBC bought the semantic bait and switch.

Tuesday, Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb dropped out of the Democratic primary to consider running as an independent. Webb cited an aversion to “labels” as one reason for kissing the Democrats good-bye.

“Some people say I am a Republican who became a Democrat, but that I often sound like a Republican in a room full of Democrats or a Democrat in a room full of Republicans,” said Webb. “More people in this country capitalism-vs-socialismcalled themselves independents than Republicans and Democrats. Our country is more important than a label. The other party in America is not the enemy.”

During the first Democratic presidential primary debate last week, Webb was remarkably out of place among his fellow candidates. Webb’s desire to focus on practically applicable solutions was no match for a party that has lurched so far left, their biggest concern is controlling the weather.

Hillary too, has jumped into the contest of which candidate is the most left-leaning. Once identifying as a moderate, she now self-identifies as “progressive.” Or at least she did last week.

“Socialism” for political expediency? Voter ignorance? Or are Democrats finally getting somewhat comfortable in the sunlight? I’d argue it’s a hybrid of all of the above.

Regardless, the Democratic party can now claim they’ve successfully taken socialism mainstream.

Is Hillary to blameAmbassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was pleading for extra security personnel two months before his 2012 death at the hands of terrorists, according to a newly released cable. The Hillary Clinton-run State Department turned him down flat.

Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. The House Select Committee on Benghazi was formed to investigate the attack.

“Overall security conditions continue to be unpredictable, with large numbers of armed groups and individuals not under control of the central government, and frequent clashes in Tripoli and other major population centers,” Stevens wrote.

He said 13 security personnel would be the “minimum” needed for “transportation security and incident response capability.”

Patrick Kennedy, a deputy under then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, rejected the request, Fox News reported a congressional source as saying.Benghazi Remebrence

Stevens’ cable followed by weeks after an attempt to assassinate the British ambassador to Libya. Also during June 2012, an IED blasted a hole in the outer wall of the U.S. consulate. In all, 234 security incidents took place in Libya in the year before the Benghazi attack, including 50 that took place in Benghazi itself.Red Flag

On the day he was killed, Stevens sent a cable to Clinton stressing the gravity of the situation, the Washington Times reported Monday.

Stevens told Clinton that militia leaders were angry at the United States, and that “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi, a critical function they asserted they were currently providing.”Red Flag

Stevens’ Sept. 11, 2012 cable discussed a “state of maximum alert” just ending in Benghazi, mentioned “extra-judicial killings” of Libyan government officials, reported on a fatal car bombing, and cited the destruction of power lines.

Even though they are vying for the top spot among the large field of GOP nominees, neither Donald Trump nor Dr. Ben Carson are attacking each other on the stump. In fact, both continue to have kind things to say about the other; and this week, Trump has once again noted that he could easily see a place for Carson in a Trump administration.

In the usual course of primary politics, the top two in the polls are often at each other’s throats and trying to undercut each other to gain traction. But not in the case of Donald Trump and Ben Carson. At least this far into the primary race, it has definitely not been politics as usual for Trump and Carson.

This week, Trump is once again bucking the ‘business as usual’ style of politics by insisting that he could easily see Ben Carson as his vice presidential candidate.

“We’re not as different as people think, we have a very good relationship,” Trump told CNN this week. “There is a particular different style. I have some great assets and he has some great assets. But we are both resonating, there is no question about that.”

Trump then reiterated that he and Carson like each other, and when asked if he could see Carson as his VP candidate, Trump said it is an “interesting” suggestion and that “stranger things have happened.”

But this isn’t the first time that Trump has spoken very highly of Carson and noted that he could see a place for the retired neurosurgeon in a Trump administration.

As far back as October 2, Trump was saying that he would put Carson in a Trump cabinet if he won the nomination and the ensuing general election.

But Carson has also offered his hand in friendship in the opposite direction.

On September 8, for instance, Carson himself noted he’d be open to an offer of the number two slot from Trump.

Later, on October 8, Carson echoed Trump, saying that if he were elected president, he could see himself offering Trump a spot in a Ben Carson administration.

Regardless, neither Trump nor Carson are employing the usual tactic of slamming the candidate closest to them in the polls.

A similar grassroots rebellion between 1999 and 2002 prevented the state’s establishment Republican Governor, Don Sundquist, from imposing a state income tax on Tennesseans. In 2014, that prohibition was made permanent in an amendment to the state’s constitution approved overwhelmingly at the ballot box by voters.

The current uprising pits Tennessee parents against Republican Governor Bill Haslam, the Tennessee Department of Education, the large and powerful multinational textbook publisher Pearson Education, the state’s educational bureaucrats, unaccountable local county school directors, and their far too compliant local school boards.

The involvement of Pearson Education is particularly controversial since its parent corporation, London based Pearson PLC, is partially owned by the Libyan Investment Authority. With 3 percent of Pearson’s outstanding stock, the Libyan Investment Authority is one of its largest shareholders.

The Washington Times recently reported there is a financial connection between the Libyan Investment Authority and the Council on American-Islamic Relations:

According to the Financial Times, the Libyan Investment Authority was founded by Muammar Gaddafi’s son, Seif al-Islam; more than five Gaddafi family members own shares. The Council on Islamic Relations (CAIR, a recently designated terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates), Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Muslim Brotherhood invested in Pearson Education through the Libyan Investment Authority.Islam is NOT

CAIR has inserted itself into the Tennessee seventh grade Social Studies standards political battle, even though barely 1 percent of the state’s population self-identifies as Muslim. The group has publicly criticized the state legislator who has introduced legislation to prohibit the teaching of religious doctrine prior to the tenth grade in Tennessee.

A number of Tennessee parents also claim that CAIR has provided supplementary materials used by some Tennessee school districts to support the new seventh grade standards.

One reason for CAIR’s interest in Tennessee is that it has the highest percentage of Evangelical Christians of any state in its population, according to a recent Pew Research Poll on religion in America. As a result, Tennessee may be the “tip of the spear” in attempts to crush public opposition to Islamization.Christian Persecution

CAIR co-founder and executive director Nihad Awad, “a known Hamas supporter,” has publicly “reject[ed] Israel’s right to exist.”

As Breitbart News reported previously:

Even in the face of the Islamic State’s rampaging terror and slaughter, Awad called the Jewish state the biggest threat to world peace and security. Breitbart News reported he once publicly declared his support of the “Hamas movement.” Hamas, the radical Islamic group, is a United States designated terrorist organization. CAIR was charged as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism-financing case in U.S history, the Holy Land Foundation trial.

Before launching CAIR, Awad served as PR director for the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), an organization identified by the U.S. government as an arm of the Palestinian Committee, a Hamas support network created by the Muslim Brotherhood. A 2001 Immigration and Naturalization Service memo documented IAP’s support for Hamas and the “facts strongly suggest” that IAP was a part of Hamas’ propaganda machine, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT).America Never Forget

Parents from across the county and the state will be gathering at Tuesday night’s town hall in Sparta, Tennessee sponsored by the group, White County Citizens Against Islamic Indoctrination, “to continue efforts to inform and engage the community about the pro-Islamic textbooks and materials being forced upon teachers and students by the White County School Board.”

In a press release, the group said:

School board members, including Chairman Edd Cantrell and Vice Chairman Gary Sparkman, have ignored parents’ objections to the textbooks and materials and refused to remove them or restrict their use in classrooms. Seventh grade social studies textbooks in White County contain nearly 50 pages devoted to a sugar coated view of Islam and the “Islamic World” while barely mentioning Christianity. The School Board has also violated at least 14 of their own policies and procedures in connection with conducting school board business and may have violated state laws concerning public access to materials used in the classrooms in White County. . . .

“The School Board has adopted the textbooks and materials in a shroud of secrecy and misrepresentation and have attempted to hide what is happening in our classrooms concerning the promotion of Islam and limited mentions of Christianity,” [Chairman] Anthony Wright pointed out. “We plan to expose what is happening and call the community to action since the values promoted by the School Board members in our classrooms do NOT reflect the values of our community nor do they follow the laws of the land.”

Bryan Wright, who recently attended a School Board meeting to object to the materials, explained that “the schools should teach any aspect of religion with a focus on fairness, balance and TRUTH; that is not happening with respect to the Islamic Indoctrination being presented in White County thanks to our own elected officials.” “The fault is not the teachers who are being forced to use these materials; it is the fault of the school board that unanimously approved them and who should be held accountable for that terrible decision,” Bryan Wright noted.

Overton County, Tennessee has adopted a set of supplemental materials to provide a fair and balanced teaching of social studies and religion but the White County School Board has refused to accept any alternative to the textbooks and materials they adopted despite significant and growing parental objections. Why

The Tennessean reported the group “expects hundreds of people” at Tuesday night’s town hall:

The new group, White County Citizens Against Islamic Indoctrination, joins others in the state concerned about pro-Islamic bias in middle school social studies classes.

The group claims a seventh grade social studies textbook unfairly represents major world religions. They also claim the White County school board has been unresponsive to their concerns.

“We have no problem with teaching world history. We have no problem with world religion. We want it to be fair and balanced and accurate,” said Anthony Wright, chairman of White County Citizens Against Islamic Indoctrination.

Tennessee sixth and seventh grade students learn about the rise, spread and impact of major world religions on societies in social studies classes. Students learn about Islamic civilization in seventh grade.

White County Schools, a small district with one middle school, uses “My World History and Geography: The Middle Ages to the Exploration of the Americas” in seventh grade social studies classes.

“It doesn’t report 9/11, ISIS. It doesn’t talk about any Islamic group,” Wright said, referring to the textbook.

Middle school students learn about the Islamic civilization up to the 1500s, according to state standards.

Wright also claimed the book explained how to convert to Islam, but not to Christianity.

“All it takes is one seventh-grader to go home and recite the five pillars of Islam, then go to a school with a bomb in their backpack and blow up 10 kids,” Wright said.

Muslim converts technically recite the Shahada to profess their new faith. The Shahada is the first pillar of Islam.

“We don’t want that book taught. There’s other books available,” Wright said.

School districts select and approve textbooks from a state-approved list. Other school districts, for example, use “Discovering our Past, A History of the World.”

Superintendent Sandra Crouch said she was advised by legal counsel not to comment.

“Our teachers do not teach religious doctrine at all. We simply teach world history according to the state department of education standards,” said school board chairman Edd Cantrell.

In a letter to the school board sent on Monday by James R. Omer, the Nashville attorney who represents the White County parents group, also demanded that the board make the new textbook and all related materials available for public inspection. Incredibly, the White County School district has refused to make either the new textbook or supporting materials available for public review. Why

The letter, addressed to the seven school members by name—Chairman Edd Cantrell, Vice Chairman Gary Sparkman, Jayson McDonald, Richard McBride, Kenneth Robinson, Janet Webb, and Roy Whited—presented a compelling argument:

Our clients are, by this letter, documenting your numerous violations of White County School Board policies and, if the violations enumerated herein are not remedied promptly, they will seek any and all legal remedies, including writs of mandamus and ouster. They are considering other legal action as well, to include legal accountability for violation of state and federal law.

Our investigation reveals that you have consistently been notified of the above violation and this, when combined with violation of the following sections of pertinent statute, Tenn. Code. Ann. § 49-2-301(b)(1), establishes the intentional lack of transparency which is not only illegal, but ignores the essence of your legal obligations and discharge of your duties.

In the letter, the parents group charges that:

During your August Board Meeting, you and the White County Board established a textbook review committee consisting of various board members and administrators and appointed Mr. [Bryan] Wright as an adviser to that committee. Regrettably, the Board only involved Mr. Wright in one meeting and refused others entry to the committee meeting in violation of Board Policy B-7 and TCA §8-44-102(b). . . .

“White County citizens are extremely angered by the approval of the 7th Grade textbook, “My World History and Geography: The Middle Ages to the Exploration of the Americas” and your actions and inactions have violated not only legislated laws, but the very Constitution of the State of Tennessee. Compare your actions with White County Board Policy A-1, wherein you mention your humble deference to that great document … our Constitution.”

The parents group tells the White County School Board “you have not only violated state, federal and local law, but you have lost touch with the very source of your authority to whom you owe the highest level of service: the Electorate, which you so aptly refer in the attached exhibit. It is easy to become comfortable within the bureaucracy and in a hurry to reach ‘rational’ decision when a more complicated, democratic movement is afoot.”

In addition to “adding policies which address the lack of transparency and website deficiencies,” the group demands the White County School Board pass the following resolutions:

– The White County School Board will select textbooks that promote the basic democratic values of our state and national heritage, our republican form of government, and the principles of federalism. We will oppose the selection of textbooks that contain historical inaccuracies or omissions of world religions which could lead to religious bias.

– White County Schools will not discipline or discourage Teachers, Principals and School Personnel “for reporting inaccuracies or errors or potentially inflammatory material in textbooks or other educational materials to supervisors, elected officials, or parents or guardians; prohibits requiring a teacher or other educator to agree not to report inaccuracies or errors or potentially inflammatory material in textbooks or other educational materials, as a condition of employment” as in accordance with Tennessee Law, Public Chapter 165 enacted on July 1, 2015.

– White County Schools will include on their website; a copy of social studies state standards, a summary of the basic content of the instruction, a statement of a parent’s right to review the materials, and information describing a parent’s opportunity to participate in the review of social studies textbooks and supplemental materials. Parents may also request to remove their child from the instruction without retribution or penalty and the process for doing so will also be found on the White County Schools website and/or made available upon parental request.

– Statewide Assessments, or end of course exams, often drive curriculum decisions. Therefore, Statewide Assessment and end of the course exams should be reviewed by teachers, parents and taxpayers, or school boards prior to administration of exam to confirm students are not being tested on their knowledge of any religion.

“The biggest concern is the textbook is telling things that are untrue and is providing a false example of Islam,” Ed Butler, a member of the White County parents group, told WWTN Radio’s Dan Mandis on Tuesday. “Islam is presented as matter of fact,” in the Pearson textbook, Butler said. “For example, on page 79 of the textbook, it reads ‘Mohammad said he worships the same God as Christians and Jews. Mohammad respects those religions.’ But that’s not how we see it. Allah is not the same God worshipped by Christians and Jews,” Butler added.

“The White County School Board is restricting information flow to parents, and not allowing us to speak at public board meetings,” Butler added.

“Bryan Wright was going to be part of the textbook review process, but he was only allowed in one meeting. Other parents were not allowed in those textbook review meetings.”

“It dumfounds me why they – the White County School Board—would not listen to the citizens of White County and to the right thing,” Butler told WWTN’s Mandis.

muslim-obamaMandis asked Butler what the next step is if the White County School Board continues to ignore your group. “The Citizens of White County would demand their resignations immediately,” Butler responded.

Butler noted that there is virtual unanimity from the White County parents of children in the seventh grade there who are being forced to use the Pearson textbook. “There are about 300 seventh grade students in White County. We have about 300 concerned parents in our group. That’s about every parent of a White County seventh grader,” Butler told WWTN’s Mandis.

The Tennessee parent rebellion is not limited to White County. In addition to nearby Overton County, uprisings are developing in Rutherford , Maury, and Williamson Counties as well.

Last week in Williamson County, the affluent Nashville suburb, school board member Dr. Beth Burgos, one of several Common Core opponents swept into office in 2014, proposed a resolution about the teaching of religion, particularly Islam, pertaining to sixth and seventh grade students.”

“Williamson County parents and taxpayers have expressed concerns that some social studies textbooks and supplemental materials in use in Tennessee classrooms contain a pro-Islamic/anti-Judeo Christian bias,” she wrote in the resolution. “Therefore, we the Williamson County School Board encourage the state to develop social studies standards that reflect Tennessee’s commitment to public education. We know that the standards serve as the basic for statewide assessments, curriculum frameworks and instructional materials, but methods of instructional delivery must remain the responsibility of local educators.”

She requested the following actions: that the state revise and clarify the social study standards; textbooks or supplemental instructional materials in Tennessee classrooms reflect a balanced and equitable perspective; supplemental instructional materials should be unbiased; the textbooks and material should be made available to parents and taxpayers.

She also requested that, “no students shall ever be required as a qualification for graduation or statewide assessment to be tested on their knowledge of any religion.”

But Tim Gaddis, Williamson County assistant superintendent said the textbooks treat all religion fairly and no religion is pushed on any student.” This claim, however, is belied by the Breitbart News report that 10 of 75 learning objectives in the 7th Grade Social Studies standards (13 percent) deal with the tenets and history of Islam, while only 1 of 72 learning objectives in the 6th Grade Social Studies (1 percent) address the history of Christianity.

Not all Williamson County School Board members support Dr. Burgo’s resolution, and its outcome remains in doubt.

As the Williamson Herald reported:

“You can’t go by the number of pages that each religion gets [in the Pearson textbook]. We have problems with getting enough bus drivers or substitute teachers. It’s crazy to fool around with this,” [School Board member Bobby Hullett said.]

Anne McGraw, 4th District, also weighed in on the matter.

“I’ve talked to a lot of people, and it never came in any regard,” McGraw said.
….
The resolution, if approved, will be forwarded to the state legislature. Dr. Mike Looney and Chairman Gary Anderson, 5th District, will review the resolution and decide whether it should go forward. It has also not been reviewed by legal counsel, Anderson said.

Other board members such as McGraw said they would not sign the resolution and cannot support it.culture of deceit and lies

Tennessee has 95 counties and approximately 140 distinct school districts.

Not all 140 districts have adopted and purchased the Pearson textbook, but all are subject to the new Islamic-centric standards. “The Pearson text was only adopted by 30 of the 140 districts [in Tennessee]. McGraw Hill grabbed the rest of the market share,” Pearson Education’s Southern Regional Director, Dominic Chavez, tells Breitbart News.

If Tennessee’s recent past is any indication of how this political controversy will unfold, this grassroots parent rebellion is likely to spread to all 95 of the state’s counties, and to do so very soon.

Save Us From Paul Ryan And The Kemp Boys

After Paul Ryan helped Mitt Romney lose the 2012 election by doing the impossible — losing a debate to Joe Biden — he went on an intimate tour of poverty. It was a journey so personal, Ryan brought reporters, writers and documentary producers with him.

So far, he’s gotten one book and one documentary out of The Paul Ryan Intimate Poverty Tour — we’re still waiting for the tote bags — and is currently promoting a major poverty-fighting initiative that he brainstormed during private moments of reflection, somehow captured by the press: “The Kemp Forum on Expanding Opportunity.”

Appropriately for an event named after Ryan’s mentor, Jack Kemp, the forum will allow Ryan to showcase his deep concern for the poor without doing a thing to help them. This is the hallmark of the “empowerment” crowd. What matters is their own self-regard and favorable press notices, not doing anything useful.

In the 1996 vice presidential debate, Al Gore repeatedly praised Kemp for not being a racist — unlike the rest of his party. After Gore called Kemp a “lonely voice” in the GOP, “who says we ought to be one nation,” Kemp did not say:

MY PARTY? YOUR PARTY HAS A FORMER KLAN MEMBER IN THE SENATE! YOUR FATHER VOTED AGAINST THE 1964 CIVIL RIGHTS ACT! YOUR PARTY DESTROYED THE BLACK FAMILY!

No, Kemp’s response was: “Well, I thank you, Al. I mean that very, very sincerely.”

For all Kemp’s claims to being black America’s truest friend, he didn’t actually help any minorities. His famed “enterprise zones” were a renowned flop.

By now there have been approximately 1 million studies on the effect of “enterprise zones,” “empowerment zones” and — Obama’s version — “promise zones.” The conclusion: Every single penny has been wasted. Businesses game the system, relocate shops from just outside the zone to just within it, or take tax credits for doing nothing that they weren’t already planning to do.

The principal result of Kemp’s enterprise zones was to double HUD’s budget.

But Kemp, like his protege Ryan, was everything big corporations and Wall Street love in a Republican: He’d give them tax cuts, cheap labor and moral self-righteousness. Washington is full of these Kemparatchiks, churning out documents and admiring quotes about one another to willing reporters.

The Kemp boys think they’re a big hit with poor minorities — especially Hispanics. Ryan, for example, is a huge supporter of driving down Hispanic wages by endlessly dumping low-wage workers on the country. Empowerment!

Two years ago, Ryan bragged to a Catholic radio station: “I actually campaigned with Jack Kemp against a thing called Prop 187.”

That “thing” was an overwhelmingly popular initiative to prevent illegal aliens from collecting government benefits. It gave Republicans their biggest victory in California in the last 30 years, was supported by a majority of blacks, a majority of whites, a majority of Asians and 31 percent of Hispanics.

Two years later, the Dole-Kemp ticket got only 21 percent of the Hispanic vote. That’s worse than Romney! (These empowerment types really have their finger on the pulse of ethnic America!)

Like Kemp, Ryan acts as if he’s the tribune of blacks and Hispanics, chastising Republicans for “preaching to the choir.” He prefers to preach to the mariachi band — one of which serenaded him on his visit to an immigrant rights group in Chicago, a few months after his failed vice presidential bid.

How about Ryan run for mayor of Los Angeles? After he wins, he can lecture us about how his Jack Kemp message resonates with Hispanics.

Ryan’s big idea on poverty is indistinguishable from Kemp’s: “Get money and capital and credit into the inner cities of America and the barrios and ghettos of America.” This will “empower people”!

The best thing I ever heard about Dick Cheney is that, after listening to Ryan drone on about how Republicans needed to create “a real ownership society” at a meeting with members of Congress, Cheney said, “Yeah, we’re not going to do that,” and then turned to a different representative.

Imagining a photo of himself on the mantle of every black household in America, Ryan touts his forum on poverty, saying, “There are few challenges tougher than the fight against poverty, and we need all hands on deck.”

Wow. What a caring person. No one’s ever talked about poverty before! (Have they?)

About a decade ago, I met an actor, the hot new thing, at an agent’s party. He excitedly told me his big idea: A war on poverty! I told him to look up “LBJ,” but he earnestly persisted, saying, yeah, sure, maybe LBJ talked about poverty, but no one had ever called for “a war on poverty.” See, that was the key — the war part.

That was a mentally impaired actor. Now a decade later, I’m hearing the same thing from the man House Republicans want to make their speaker.

All of human experience has already taught us how to fight poverty, and it doesn’t involve the words “opportunity,” “empowerment” or “zone.”

Effective: Don’t pay people not to work. The 1996 welfare reform act, with its time limits and work requirements, reduced welfare caseloads by an astronomical 65 percent, as former recipients entered the workforce.

Ineffective: Self-flattering politicians jabbering about how much they care about poverty, then creating behemoth government programs that give corporations tax breaks for pretending to help the poor.

Effective: Stop dumping millions of low-wage workers on the country to drive down wages. America’s booming, prosperous middle class arose in the 40-year period after immigration was virtually shut down in 1924 — until Teddy Kennedy opened the floodgates to the Third World in 1965.

Ineffective: Demanding an endless supply of cheap immigrant labor favored by your corporate donors, subsidized by the long-suffering middle class, while strutting around like you’re Martin Luther King.

Should you need any further proof that the Obama/Sharpton/Clinton-supported Black Lives Matter movement is more about hatred of police officers than it is about actual ‘black lives,’ this is it.

Retired NYPD officer and current radio talk show host, John Cardillo, reported that protesters were at the scene of the hospital where officer Officer Randolph Holder would succumb to being shot in the line of duty.

Hate Merchants

Cardillo was at the hospital and earlier reports show that information he was relaying from police officer’s at the scene was accurate. But why would Black Lives Matter activists cheer the killing of an immigrant officer who is … black?

The answer?  They hate police officers, plain and simple.  Does Holder’s life not matter?

In December, a Daily Beast reporter made similar claims when two NYPD officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, were executed. Via Liberty Unyielding:

[T]he scene outside Woodhull Hospital wasn’t entirely supportive. “You’re a bunch of killers,” a passerby told cops standing sentry there, according to one police source. And short distance from the crime scene — where a crowd was backed up by the police tape — a few members of the crowd repeated “f*ck the cops” within earshot of a Daily Beast reporter. One 30-year-old local who gave his first name only as Carlos, didn’t hear the fatal gunfire but saw the hysteria aftewards and walked to the police tape. “A lot of people were clapping and laughing,” he said. “Some were saying, ‘They deserved it,’ and another was shouting at the cops, ‘Serves them right because you mistreat people!’” he said.

Cardillo didn’t mince words, placing the blame for Black Lives Matter’s hatred of police officers squarely on the shoulders of a select few.

The executions of Liu and Ramos led NYPD officers to turn their backs on Mayor de Blasio multiple times when he tried to pay respects to the fallen.

Paul Ryan

“We as a conference should unify now and not after a divisive Speaker election,” Ryan said, calling for Republicans to gather as a team and “move from an opposition party to being a proposition party.”

Ryan’s list of demands appeared to highlight party unity but also party loyalty, as he criticized the chaos in the Republican caucus, leading to Boehner’s resignation. According to Ryan’s spokesperson Brendan Buck, his demands included a change in the process for motion to “vacate the chair.” “No matter who is speaker, they cannot be successful with this weapon pointed at them all the time,” Buck told reporters before Ryan’s speech.

Ryan signaled that the partisan brinkmanship had to come to an end. “We have become the problem,” Ryan said. “If my colleagues entrust me to be the Speaker I want us to become the solution.”

Ryan urged his House colleagues to stop blaming the other party, the president, and the media for blocking their agenda. “People don’t care about blame, people don’t care about effort, people care about results,” he said, calling for Republicans to embrace “results-driven, common-sense conservatism.”

Ryan admitted that if the conference couldn’t unite behind him, he would be “happy” to remain as chairman of the Ways and Means committee. “This is not a job I ever wanted and I’ve ever sought,” Ryan said, referring to the situation as a “dire moment” in America.

He also refused to give up time with his family in Janesville, Wisconsin, suggesting he would spend less time fundraising and less time in Washington, D.C. “I cannot and will not give up my family time,” he said, while vowing he would work hard to make up for lost time if he was elected.

It’s unclear whether or not the House Freedom Caucus will oppose Ryan unanimously or begrudgingly support him. Ryan’s ultimatum might be enough to divide rebel conservatives who will likely face peer pressure from their colleagues to fall in line.

After Ryan spoke with the conference, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) announced that he would drop out of the Speaker race in favor of Ryan. “Right person at the right time,” he wrote briefly on Twitter.

daleBenghazi RemebrenceOn Thursday, Hillary Clinton will make her long-awaited appearance before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

This will be a crucial moment in the Benghazi investigation, and without the testimony of the former secretary of state, the record will never be complete. We have had eight congressional investigations and one Accountability Review Board (ARB) report, but the secretary was not interviewed by the ARB.

Furthermore, Clinton’s only testimony on this matter, on Jan. 23, 2013, was truncated by her health problems and by the fact that she appeared before two committees on the same day.

Is Hillary to blameGetting to the bottom of the Benghazi affair is important for many reasons: The families of the four men who were killed in Benghazi deserve the truth, as they were promised by the Obama administration over three years ago. Government accountability and personal responsibility matter.

So does making every possible effort to ensure the safety of U.S. diplomats sent overseas to do the nation’s business.

This country has missions, consulates, and embassies all over the world, and we need to make sure we know what needs to be done to keep them safe and enable them to do their jobs.

That’s why we need to get to the full truth of what happened before, during, and after the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, so we know how we can do to do better.

Some of the important questions that have never been adequately answered,

  1. Why was the construction of the Benghazi consulate allowed to go ahead in the demonstrable absence of adequate security?
  2. Law requires the secretary of state personally to issue a waiver when certain safety specifications are not present. Did she sign such a waiver?
  3. Why were the repeated and urgent requests by U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens for additional security staff denied by the State Department?
  4. What procedures existed then and exist now to aid diplomatic missions in danger of armed assault?
  5. Whom did Clinton communicate with once she became aware that her diplomats were under attack, and what was the substance of her conversations and directives?

Picture1

It is shameful that the Obama administration has not been committed to advance that truth, sometimes even actively attempting to block access to witnesses and documents sought by investigators.

The Benghazi Select Committee’s work has not been easy. Clinton’s testimony will be another test of the skill and determination of its members.

Bill O’Reilly tore into Democrats for blocking Kate’s Law from advancing in the Senate on Tuesday.

The O’Reilly Factor” host called the decision “unbelievable” before adding “unbelievable is too gentle a word.”

O’REILLY: There comes a point where the American people are going to have to take back their government. When a 32-year-old woman can be gunned down by and illegal felon who had been deported five times, and you can’t get a strict law punishing illegal alien felons passed. When that happens, you don’t have a functioning government. It is hard to believe, but far left in America is actively opposing Kate’s Law. It’s unbelievable — unbelievable is too gentle a word.

There is no doubt that in America, there are many who are calling good evil and evil good. At the top of that list is the Southern Poverty Law Center. Now, the SPLC wants to identify what they call “haters” on their little hate list for radicals in our society to target, whether they are individuals or organizations. Now they are teaming up with the corrupt and criminal Obama administration in order to advise the domestic terrorists in our government on violent extremism, and at the top of their list are Christians and patriots.of domenstic terrorist

While the SPLC targets individuals and organizations for speaking out against abortion, sodomy, Islam, the New Black Panthers Truth The New Hate Speechcalling them “haters,” all these groups are simply doing is speaking the truth on a particular subject. That’s called free speech, but apparently, the SPLC can’t stand the truth and so they engage in slander against a variety of people.

Now, the SPLC will be teaming up with the Obama Department of (in)Justice, led by Constitution violating Loretta Lynch and seek to track and coordinate investigations into “domestic terrorism.”

Previously, we reported that this announcement was made on October 14 by Assistant Attorney General John Carlin at George Washington University. While Carlin did mention Islam on two occasions in the speech, his emphasis was on “anti-government animus, eco-radicalism, and racism.”

“The new DT Counsel will not only help ensure that DT cases are properly coordinated but also will play a key role in our headquarters-level efforts to identify trends to help shape our strategy, and to analyze legal gaps or enhancements required to ensure we can combat these threats,” said Carlin.

Since when should the American people trust lying organizations like the SPLC to advise our government on anything? And, of course, Carlin is one who buys into the maligning and slander of the SPLC’s Mark Potock’s “hate groups.”

“The attorney general noted this summer that these kinds of hate crimes are the original domestic terrorism,” Carlin said. “Among domestic extremist movements in the United States, white supremacists are most violent. The Charleston shooter, who had a manifesto laying out a racist worldview, is just one example. His actions followed earlier deadly shooting sprees by white supremacists in Kansas, Wisconsin and elsewhere.”Picture1

Noticably missing from Mr. Carlin’s comments was how the SPLC was the primary source for sodomite supporting Floyd Lee Corkins II, who was heavily influenced by the SPLC website to the point where he took a gun and was attempting a mass murder at the Family Research Council in Washington, DC in August 2012. Fortunately, he was stopped by a guard that he shot or there would have been many dead in the wake of his shooting spree. However, we don’t hear a peep about this incident.

In fact, according to a statement of offense, which was consistent with Corkins statement to the FBI, “a subsequent search of Corkins’ family computer revealed that on the afternoon of Sunday, August 12, Corkins used the computer to visit the Southern Poverty Law Center’s website, as well as the websites for the FRC and the second organization on his handwritten list.”

Did the SPLC feel any responsibility for the lies they told by putting the FRC on a “hate list” and a target address for Corkins to attack? Nope, not one bit. In fact, the socialists and communists in our country attempted to justify the shooting!War on Christians

The SPLC has attacked such people as Ben Carson, Ann Coulter, Bradlee Dean and Pamela Geller, along with the Family Research Council and others. However, Carlin, instead of calling out the SPLC for their own brand of hate and lawlessness, praised them, claiming that they were an “important voice on the wide range of extremist groups throughout this country.” Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Yet, it was Family Research Council President Tony Perkins who wrote, “Is he (Carlin) serious? Were it not for an ordinary man showing extraordinary courage, an activist bent on massacring an office of innocent people might have succeeded in gunning down dozens of people at FRC. As prosecutors pointed out, this was no ordinary attack — but an act spurred on by the SPLC’s reckless ‘hate’ labeling. Now we’re supposed to believe that this same organization, the one that inspired Floyd Corkins to walk into our building and shoot Leo Johnson, is a legitimate ally in the fight against domestic terrorism? A trusted source in identifying the homegrown threats?”cp 11

“And despite the suffering and near casualties at FRC, SPLC refuses,” he wrote. “Obviously, the DOJ sees no problem with putting countless Americans at risk simply for participating in the political process and advocating for public policy consistent with their orthodox Christian beliefs.”

Perkins was not the only one who has pointed out the real danger SPLC poses to Christians in our land. According to a report from Liberty Counsel on the FRC shooting, “By falsely and recklessly labeling Christian ministries as ‘hate groups,’ the SPLC is directly responsible for the first conviction of a man who intended to commit mass murder targeted against a policy organization in Washington, D.C.

The SPLC sent letters to the DOJ and Homeland Security back in 2013 claiming that patriot groups pose a domestic terror threat. In other words, the SPLC is hostile towards members of the militia, which are a constitutionally authorized force (made up of ordinary Americans) to repel invasions and put down insurrections.

Keep in mind what Mr. Potok has stated in the open:

“Sometimes the press will describe us as monitoring hate crimes and so on…I want to say plainly that our aim in life is to destroy these groups, to completely destroy them.”—Mark Potok, director of intelligence at Southern Poverty Law Center.

We already know that the Obama administration is criminal. We also know who the real haters and domestic terrorists are, and the Southern Poverty Law Center is among the true domestic terrorists. In God We Trust freedom combo 2

Black Lives Matter disrupts Garcetti (Mark-Anthony Johnson / @FlyEgret / Twitter)

Mark-Anthony Johnson / @FlyEgret / Twitter

The organizers of the forum urged the protestors to have a “civil conversation.” Instead, they chanted “”Black lives, they matter here!” and forced Garcetti to leave under police guard. NBC Los Angeles recounted: “Garcetti initially came to answer questions from citizens regarding economic opportunity and community safety before protestors began chanting. But the event quickly turned to chaos as Black Lives Matter protesters rushed the podium.”Really with logo

Black Lives Matter organizer Dr. Melina Abdullah, a professor of Pan African Studies at Cal State L.A., posted a list of the protestors’ demands to Facebook, which includes a demand for the resignation of Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck, as well as the payment of “reparations” to the community for police violence.

BLM LA Demands (Melina Abdullah / Facebook)

hateBlack Lives Matter protests have been staged sporadically throughout Los Angeles over the past year, in response to the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri as well as police shootings closer to home, such as the Ezell Ford shooting. Garcetti was criticized when he skipped the inquiry into Ford’s death for a fundraiser in Washington.

Since then, Garcetti has been doing damage control. On Monday, he attempted to show solidarity with the Black Lives Movement by explaining, as other Democrats have been forced to do, why it was wrong to say “all lives matter.” The Times quoted Garcetti:Black-lives-matter stop killing each other

“Let me say, you’re right, your analysis,” Garcetti said. “I hate this back-and-forth we hear nationally, where people say black lives matter and politicians say all lives matter. Black lives matter in a unique way, and you and I see eye to eye on this.”

He added: “If you just try to say all lives matter, you write people out of history. You write slavery out of history. You write oppression and violence out of history. You write racism and lynching out of history. So I get why it is important — just hear me out for one second — you’re right.”black-lives-matter-lol

That was not enough for the protestors, however, who turned their backs to the stage and booed repeatedly. Their cause of deathgoal was to stop Garcetti from speaking, not to listen to his explanations.

Garcetti later issued a statement:

Tonight, we had hundreds of South LA residents attend a community meeting – leaders, business owners, mothers and children, who took time out of their evening to discuss the critical issues that matter most to all of us. I am disappointed that our conversation was cut short when there is so much work for us to do together to make our neighborhoods stronger and safer. I believe in our City and my commitment to our shared concerns continues, stronger than ever.

The children attending Everett Middle School in San Francisco’s Mission District just got an object lesson in liberal fascism.  Eugene Volokh, writing in the Washington Post, cites a report by KTVU television:

There’s a bit of controversy surrounding student elections at a San Francisco middle school after the results were immediately withheld by the principal because they weren’t diverse enough.

The incident happened at Everett Middle School in San Francisco’s Mission District. The voting was held Oct. 10, but the principal sent an email to parents on Oct. 14 saying the results would not be released because the candidates that were elected as a whole do not represents the diversity that exists at the school….

According to Principal Lena Van Haren, Everett Middle School has a diverse student body. She said 80 percent of students are students of color and 20 percent are white, but the election results did not represent the entire study body.

“That is concerning to me because as principal I want to make sure all voices are heard from all backgrounds,” Van Haren said….

“We’re not nullifying the election, we’re not cancelling the election and we’re not saying this didn’t count,” Van Haren said.

She said the school may possibly add positions in an effort to be more equal.

It is positively Orwellian to claim “[w]e’re not nullifying the election, we’re not cancelling the election and we’re not saying this didn’t count” while acting to do exactly that by means of adding hand-selected (by the principal, obviously) representatives to change the membership of the body.cause of death

Professor Volokh comments:

Well, the children’s voices were heard. They just seemed to be less obsessed with race than some administrators are. And exactly what “learning experience” would the children get this way, whether about racial tolerance or democracy?

The principal’s outrageous actions caused a bit of controversy, even in San Francisco, and as a result, she backtracked, somewhat, with this statement:

Everett Middle School is honoring the results of the Associated Student Body (ASB) Socialism2elections. This is our first student council at Everett Middle School in recent history and we started up a student council because we want our students to have several ways to develop their leadership skills and be a part of shaping our school. We want a student leadership body that includes the range of perspectives and experiences of our students and we believe a representative body is an important part of democracy.

When we reviewed the results of our Associated Student Body (ASB) elections on Friday, October 9th, we saw that it was not fully representative of our school population. I made the decision to pause on sharing the results with the students in order to capitalize on a teachable moment. I wanted to have a conversation with all of the candidates and ask for their ideas to make sure that all voices and groups are represented in our ASB. In retrospect, I understand how this decision to pause created concerns. Today I visited classrooms to announce the winners of the elections.socialism1

There are many challenges and opportunities that this situation surfaces. Especially now, at a time when our school and community’s population is undergoing demographic change, I believe that we have a responsibility to take these conversations seriously, appreciating both their complexity and their urgency. There are no easy answers, so I am looking forward to talking as a community about how we can grow and get better at this for the rest of the year and into next year.More Liberal Gibberish

socialism7That is 264 words’ worth of pabulum that manages to obscure more than it reveals.  I think it means that she is backing off her overruling of democracy, but then again, she avers that “we have a responsibility to take these conversations seriously, appreciating both their complexity and their urgency.”  So what does that mean?

For the record, the Mission District, formerly a heavily Irish and Jewish neighborhood, transitioned to heavily Hispanic and is now rapidly gentrifying as many highly paid tech people move in.  The principal seems to imply that “students of color” are proliferating, but even taking account of the low incidence of childrearing among the youngish tech crowd, it would seem to me that in fact, the proportion of Hispanic students would be declining as the gentrification continues.  Incidentally, while there were no political protests when Hispanics displaced Irish and Jews several decades ago, the current transition of the Mission District has sparked outrage and even violent protest, as so-called Google Buses that transport employees to Silicon Valley jobs have been attacked.

If you want to find the hottest restaurants and bars in San Francisco, you go to the Mission.  It is the happening place.  But Principal Van Haren seems to be locked in a time warp, where omniscient and wise educrats dictate an ideal racial and ethnic outcome for elections and neighborhoods.

America’s public schools, the most expensive in the world outside Switzerland and Luxembourg, are failing our children, as the results of international comparisons of standardized tests reveals.  How could it be otherwise with people like Principal Van Haren leading them?

As he approaches the end of his career in elected office, Barack Obama is in a truly precarious position: He is going to exit the White House having accomplished almost nothing substantive on the policy front — his health-care program is not going to survive, Gitmo is not going to be closed, we are not leaving Afghanistan, and he is sending troops into Iraq — and outside of his perch at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, his party is in ruins: In Congress and the states, the Democrats are in their weakest position in modern political history. If the Democrats do not win the presidency in 2016, there are going to be some very uncomfortable questions about what exactly Obama & Co. accomplished, and at what price.

Benghazi RemebrenceIn the final weeks before the deadly Benghazi attack in September 2012, State Department officials serving in the tumultuous Libyan city had increasing worries about safety, reaching out repeatedly to the CIA and Libyan government for extra security and dealing with landlord and guard issues that raised additional red flags, according to documents recovered from the burned-out compound.

The documents, given to The Washington Times by a U.S. official, provide contemporaneous accounts of career State Department officials coping with an increasingly unstable foreign city and grasping for security help from outsiders in the absence of more action from their own department.

“In response to threats of a planned attack posted on the Internet, U.S. Mission Benghazi is requesting assistance from the Supreme Security Council,” Jennifer Larson, the State Department’s principal officer for Benghazi, wrote in a May 29, 2012, letter to a top Libyan official.

“U.S. Mission Benghazi is requesting a mobile patrol outside the vicinity of the Mission during hours of darkness, from 2000 to 0700,” she added in the letter to Fawzi Wanis, the then-head of the Libyan Supreme Security Council.

Ms. Larson repeated the request in an urgent follow-up on June 6, 2012, the same day the Benghazi mission sufferedbenghazi-2 a small bomb attack that became a prelude to the much bigger attack that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans just three months later.

With just a few diplomatic security officers on scene at the State Department compound in Benghazi, Ms. Larson sought a perimeter patrol by Libyan forces to “remain in place until further notice,” the memo shows.

The need to seek security help from the Libyans was necessary because the State Department in Washington repeatedly turned down requests for more safety resources, according to the former head of the U.S. site security team in Libya at the time. Why

“They gave us nothing to work with. We had to resource everything we could with what we had in front of us, contracting with the locals, seeking the agency’s help and working with meager internal resources,” said Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, a special forces reserve officer who tried several times to fortify the weak security at Benghazi in 2012.

State Department officials in Washington “had their minds made up. They were not going to provide additional security there, period,” he said in an interview Monday with The Times.

State Department officials declined to discuss the memos, deferring to multiple investigations that have concluded there was inadequate security at the compound when it was attacked on Sept. 11, 2012. Officials said, however, they have made numerous improvements at high-risk diplomatic compounds worldwide since.

“We cannot guarantee that attacks won’t happen again, but we can take steps to try to prevent them and mitigate risk. And that’s what we’re doing,” the State Department said in a statement to The Times.Ambassador Stevens 1

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is slated to testify Thursday before a special House committee chaired by Rep. Trey Gowdy empaneled to look at the security lapses that preceded Benghazi.

Landlords get nervous

Is Hillary to blameThe memos show that the deteriorating security at Benghazi not only concerned State Department officials working there, but also the Libyan landlords who rented the two villas comprising a large portion of the compound. One of the landlords demanded more money for rent, while the other asked to be released from the rental agreement in the summer preceding the attacks, the memos show.Red Flag

“The owner has requested to write to you to consider the termination of the lease contract on the end of the first term July 31, 2012,” a representative for one of the landlords wrote on June 18, 2012. “Regrettable due to family and personal reasons.”

That landlord owned the part of the complex known as Villa C, which constituted the main working place for the complex and the location where Stevens died in a blaze. The landlord expressed increased concerns for his family’s safety and the safety of his villa if Americans continued to occupy it, a U.S. official told The Times.

The owner of the second complex, Villa B, also began raising concerns around the same time. In a letter contained in the Benghazi compound staff files, the landlord demanded higher rent after discovering the other landlord was getting paid more for his complex.Red Flag

“In addition to extra works of which we bear all expenses as you already know, and whereas the price of this property differs from that of the neighboring property and that this amount of rent does not cover the agreed upon charges, we look forward for good cooperation by suggesting to you either increasing the amount of rent or regretfully terminate the contract,” the landlord wrote in an April 7, 2012, letter.

Officials said that rent dispute carried through the summer unresolved and had become more intense shortly before Red Flagthe attack occurred. The amount of money in dispute reached $100,000 by late summer, and the landlord’s representatives warned State officials that they would “be sorry if you don’t pay rent and pay more,” according to a U.S. official directly familiar with the situation. State Department officials confirmed the rental dispute and said it was going through a mitigation process aimed at settling the issues when the attack occurred.

Mothers’ doubtsRed Flag

Col. Wood, the security expert, said he became aware of the landlords’ concerns and considered them a red flag indicating local Libyans were worried about being affiliated with the U.S. He became even more alarmed when local Libyan security guards began expressing concerns about showing up for work for fear of their safety.

“It did come up that they (the landlord and his representatives) were asking for more Red Flagmoney,” he recalled. “There were several other indicators that went on that suggested an attack was imminent. The contract security guards were saying their moms are telling them ‘Don’t go to work, it is too dangerous. That was a huge indicator.”

Col. Wood said he brought the concerns to Stevens in late summer.

“I told this to Mr. Stevens himself, in front of a big meeting. I said ‘You are going to get attacked and you are going to get attacked in Benghazi,’” he said.Red Flag

The run-of-the-mill memos provide an unusually personal window into the pressures and concerns of the everyday U.S. staff in Benghazi before the deadly attack. They paint a poignant picture of an American team seeking the help of Libyan locals and CIA counterparts to ensure their safety in the absence of more resources from Washington.

The TruthThose missing resources included more heavy-duty armaments, more American security personnel and U.S. air support for evacuation in case of an attack.

You’re on your own

The resource concerns are further laid bare in a CIA memo sent to the field in Benghazi shortly before the attack, which made clear the strategy for U.S. personnel was essentially a fend-for-yourself edict from Washington.

“The primary course of action for officers operating in Libya during a personnel recovery scenario should be to move away from the enemy activity as there is no mechanism/authorities in place for the field to leverage Emergency Close Air Support,” the memo warned. “The base should be prepared to recover its officers with local resources within its capabilities and limitations.”you think

Clinton ObamaCIA security officers told the House Intelligence Committee during an after-action report that the State Department compound was far less secure than the agency’s own buildings and that diplomatic security agents feared they were ill equipped to respond to an armed attack against the mission. The local State Department employees repeatedly sought help from CIA to try to fortify a compound with clear security weaknesses.

The lack of preparation and resources persisted, even as CIA produced more than four dozen pieces of confirmed intelligence that reported on increasing threats against Americans and Westerners in Benghazi and documented more than 20 attempted attacks in the area just before the fiery assault on the compound on Sept. 11.

“CIA security personnel testified that State Department DS (diplomatic security) agents repeatedly stated they felt ill-equipped and ill-trained to contend with the threat environment in Benghazi,” the report said.Phony-Scandals-590-LI

“The DS agents knew well before the attacks that they could not defend the TMF against an armed assault. The DS agents also told CIA about their requests for additional resources that were pending,” it said.

CowardStevens, a respected career diplomat, was aware before he left Tripoli to visit Benghazi for a ceremony that the city was in worsening security shape. The morning before he died, his final cable to Mrs. Clinton described an increasingly violent city and his own fears that the local Libyan forces guarding the complex might not adequately ensure the safety of State Department personnel.Red Flag

Militia leaders told U.S. officials just two days before the attack that they were angered by U.S. support of a particular candidate for Libyan prime minister and warned “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi, a critical function they asserted they were currently providing,” Stevens wrote the morning of the attack.

State resists IG recommendation

Further from the truthThe various investigations of Benghazi have concluded that the local Libyan forces at the compound did not effectively deter the attack and that the State Department’s heavy reliance on foreign security forces for such a high-risk location was a flawed strategy.

The State Department’s own accountability review board made 29 recommendations for improving security, including that the agency “implement a plan to strengthen security beyond reliance on host government security support” for high-risk, high-threat (HRHT) posts.

Though more than two years old, that recommendation has not been fully implemented by the Diplomatic Security office, the State Department’s inspector general recently warned.

“Although DS has not developed a plan for strengthening security at HRHT posts as Recommendation 12 recommends, it has undertaken several initiatives directed at the recommendation’s intent, including enhanced personnel training, increased use of the Deliberate Planning Process, expansion of the Marine security guard (MSG) program and revision of its mission, and closer coordination and cooperation with DOD,” the inspector general reported in a little-noticed memo released in late August when most of official Washington was on vacation.

The IG, the agency’s internal watchdog, also noted that State had outright rejected one of its recommendations for improved security: to develop mandatory minimum security standards for high-risk outposts. Why

“Recommendation 17 of the ARB process review report recommended that the Department develop minimum security standards that must be met prior to occupying facilities in HRHT locations,” the IG noted. “The Department rejected this recommendation, stating that existing Overseas Security Policy Board standards apply to all posts and that separate security standards for HRHT posts would not provide better or more secure operating environments.”More Evidence

The IG said it disagrees with that assessment and “the department’s response does not meet the recommendation’s requirement for standards that must be met prior to occupancy.” As a result, the watchdog has reissued that recommendation and urged State to take action.

State Department spokesman Alec Gerlach told The Times that State has taken all the security recommendations seriously and “implemented new procedures to address high-threat posts, procured critical security assets and engaged Congress to secure increased funding for embassy security.”Lies Lies and More Lies

But he acknowledged some of the recommendations have not been fully implemented yet.

“We adopted all the ARB’s 29 recommendations and are committed to implementing each,” he said. “We have closed 26 of 29 recommendations, some of which require long-term technical upgrades. The remaining three are in progress.”

Much of the media today roundly disparage any business-person who even voices his or her religious beliefs regarding same-sex marriage. This is the consistent narrative by which many presumptuously judge small business owners’ (often wedding vendors) motives in affirming their religious convictions as animating their business lives. Critics reject out of hand their claims that they are simply living out their faith with love and can’t be a part of a wedding ceremony that violates their consciences.Big Gay Hate Machine

When the owners of Memories Pizza—a small-town pizzeria in Indiana—were posed a hypothetical question about whether they would cater a gay wedding last year, the “intolerance” of their simple response that they would not resulted in a threat to burn down their shop. They did not answer threats with threats, but continued to calmly explain that they would happily serve gay customers; they just didn’t want to be a part of the wedding. Of course, none of this mattered to those not interested in seeking the facts.

want_rel_liberty_rIt now appears that a man ordered two pizzas from Memories Pizza, without stating his reasons (as is quite normal when ordering pizza), and brought them back to serve at his same-sex wedding. He recorded the event on video and claimed that Memories “catered” his gay wedding—without knowing it.

While the charade itself is sort of childish, it does hold several lessons for us. Let us first consider that, in response to the video, Memories owner Kevin O’Connor has…

Threatened to burn something down? Nope.

Called someone a bigot? Nope.

He’s actually not really too interested in the actions of his customer after selling him the pizza.

So what’s the point?

It is an undisputed fact that Memories Pizza served a man regardless of his sexual relationships. Its owners did not CP 01deny him service. They didn’t “turn him away.” They didn’t quiz the man when he came in, asking whether he identified as a homosexual or what he would use the pizza for.

Those truly seeking to understand the conflicts in the “wedding vendor cases” should study what happened here, for they will see that no one involved is interested in simply turning away customers based on how they identify sexually.

People are interested in exercising the teachings of their faith regarding marriage, and in continuing to live quiet and peaceful lives in harmony with their communities, as they have been doing for years. They haven’t sought a fight; it has come to them.

What else can we learn?

Leftist Giant called TyrannyIt’s important to note that Kevin O’Connor did not respond in an apoplectic manner with claims of “my conscience was violated here!” Conscience is violated not merely by the occurrence of events; there must be knowledge of what one is getting oneself into or being forced to participate in. It must be emphasized that the wedding vendors around the country who are asserting their religious freedom are doing so because they are knowingly being forced to participate in an act that violates their conscience, not because a customer disagrees with them on matters of sexuality.

Even then, Kevin would have had no problem serving the customer the pizzas even if he knew who he was. “We weren’t catering to their wedding,” Kevin said. “They were picking [pizzas] up.” Kevin has no problem with serving a person in his shop, whether or not that person identifies as gay.

For those who truly care to understand what the wedding vendors are seeking in these cases, there is an important lesson here. Kevin O’Connor’s indifference in this matter can be contrasted with his kind but firm refusal to participate in a same-sex wedding when asked earlier this year.

He is not asking to “turn away” people. He is only asking that he not be forced to violate his conscience by knowingly participating in a wedding ceremony that runs counter to his religious beliefs. Memories Pizza’s unproblematic “catering” of the same-sex wedding in this case shows as much. Those who sincerely care to understand more about such religious freedom claims can learn from Kevin’s actions, which are an important teaching moment on the role of conscience in the “wedding vendor cases” and beyond.Picture2

The small business owners involved in these matters are not asking for a “blank check” to do whatever they want. They are advancing sincere conscience claims against being forced to knowingly use their businesses for certain ends, and they are often happy to forgo the lost income and even refer the potential customers to another business where they can find what they need.

As long as we live in a democracy, people will have differing views on moral questions. The model of tolerance displayed by Kevin O’Connor is as good as any for how we can live together with those differences.

Recent headlines from mainstream media sources

Wars are not fought exclusively on the battlefield. They are fought and supported through ideology – ideas that flow through society originating from politicians to professors, from powerful interest group to grassroots activists. But in today’s age, none of these ideas has a chance of competing in our fast-paced marketplace for attention except the ones chosen to be significant by the most important arbiters of the battlefield: the media.

In theory, journalists report the “facts,” roughly recognized as the compilation of the actual happenings of any given event. Subjective distillation is, of course, always a factor, as all journalists are forced by necessity into choosing the most salient points and leaving out what they deem insignificant details.

But to consciously choose to distort the facts or skew the facts in a way that distorts them takes the writer out of the realm of journalism and into that of propaganda. When propaganda bandied about as journalism is used to support terrorists, journalists become the terrorists’ “willing executioners” – complicit in bloodshed and murder.

The current terrorist onslaught in Israel has seen some of the worst reportage by the world’s conventional media outlets. Over the past three weeks, Israelis have faced murderous Islamists intent on killing them through a variety of means from knifing, shooting or running them over with vehicles. In the course of these attacks, most of the terrorists have been killed — by police, soldiers or armed citizens defending themselves.

Yet, the headlines ring out through world declaring

(from the Independent):

(from NPR, with a full-size picture of a relative crying over and kissing the body of a dead terorist):

(from USA Today):

(and from the Irish Independent, simply):

When Palestinians set the Tomb of the Patriarch Joseph, a revered Jewish holy site, ablaze on Saturday night, CNN reported:

CNN later updated to headline to:

Another recent article on CNN actually writes a dual report of the news of the day under the headline:

The dual report was introduced with the following subhead:

Never mind that Palestinian Authority sources, as spearheaded by Mahmoud Abbas, have a history of lying. What CNN was calling “incidents” happened to be three stabbings and two attempted stabbings of Israelis by Palestinians. One can only imagine the same dual reporting of the West’s battle against ISIS — “incidents” (let’s say, beheadings and stonings of civilians) reported from both the West’s perspective and that of ISIS.

For journalists, the Internet has made fact-checking remarkably easy, however, the Internet’s advent in the world of news has also been a Catch -22. News must now compete with social media, which can provide up-to-the-minute, first-hand reports. Decreasing revenues combined with rolling deadlines means there are fewer resources available with more pressure to get the story out.

Yet, the reportage of the current terror war against Israel goes beyond all fair journalist standards and excuses. As such, media complicity in terror is another battle all fair-minded people need to fight.

“Disagreement is not hatred, and the truth is not hate speech. Somebody needs to tell that to President Obama.”Free Speech Definition

If you have ever wondered whether President Obama has an abiding hostility to people of Christian faith, wonder no more. He believes we are a threat to national security. If you are a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ, your president believes you are a potential domestic terrorist.

I do not exaggerate. In a gathering at George Washington University this week, Obama’s assistant attorney general for national security, John Carlin, revealed that the Department of Justice is creating a brand new position just to monitor us. The position, domestic terrorism counsel, will be created to combat the “real and present threat” of domestic terrorism.

And where, pray tell, does this threat come from? From the Muslim Brotherhood, which has a stated goal of exterminating Western civilization and sabotaging our miserable house from within? Nope. From ISIS, which is actively recruiting jihadists in all 50 states? Nope. Jihadists who are sneaking into the United States disguised as Syrian refugees? Nope.

No, the real threat to our national security, according to our president and his minions, is coming from the Family Research Council and the American Family Association.of domenstic terrorist

want_rel_liberty_rCarlin lauded the work of the thoroughly discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, which is so blatantly and maliciously biased against Christians that other parts of Obama’s administration – the FBI, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Army – are getting as far away from the SPLC as they can.

But the folks at SPLC are still useful to the DOJ, which is desperate to paint conservative Christians as a greater threat to our domestic tranquility than people who are determined to decapitate us in the name of Allah.

According to Carlin, the SPLC does the noble work of “examining what the threat is, observing it, and reporting on it,” and claimed that its work is “very important.”RadicalChristianExtremist

The SPLC, mind you, is the group whose “hate group” map was used by domestic terrorist Floyd Corkins to identify the Family Research Council as his target for a massacre. Only the bravery of an unarmed security guard prevented what could have been one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. In other words, if anybody’s the hate group here, it’s the SPLC.

Heidi Beirich, the SPLC’s intelligence project director, teamed with Carlin to demonize pro-family groups. She told a reporter that the SPLC classifies groups as hate groups “on the basis of ideology.” In other words, the SPLC will vilify groups because of what they believe, not because of what they do or because they have demonstrated any propensity toward violence.

Aobama-anti-christian-1nd she flatly admits it. “We post groups on the basis of ideology, not whether they’re violent or not.”

And then she identified two groups by name: Family Research Council and American Family Association. “[W]hat they’re putting out is anti-gay material so gay people are pedophiles, or molesters, or whatever the case may be, and that’s why they’re on the list and that’s the direct analogy.”

Different Free Speech Ideologies

We – FRC and AFA – “are simply pushing propaganda that [the SPLC] consider(s) hateful.” She acknowledges that theirs is a purely subjective standard: “It’s our opinion that it’s hateful, and that’s basically it.”Combined

The plain truth is that we at FRC and AFA don’t hate a living soul. We love homosexuals enough to tell them the truth about the physical and spiritual dangers of the homosexual lifestyle. We want something better for them than the darkness and disease associated with homosexual behavior. We want them to come out of that CP 02darkness into the light of the gospel of Christ. We are for the homosexual, and so we must be against the normalization and promotion of homosexuality.

Note the SPLC is no longer accusing FRC and AFA of hate or of violence based on some objective standard. They have simply made a purely subjective assessment that our beliefs about human sexuality and our defense of natural marriage are so offensive to them that we must become the target of the unlimited resources of the federal government.

Do we disagree with the homosexual lobby about homosexuality? Of course. Do we hate them? Absolutely not. Do we advocate violence against them? Never have, never will. We are simply determined to tell the moral, spiritual, and physical truth about non-normative sexual The Persecution has Begunbehavior.

Bottom line: disagreement is not hatred, and the truth is not hate speech. Somebody needs to tell that to the president.Truth The New Hate Speech

 North-Korea-Missile

Sea of FireBig news, citizens… the Korean War may be over soon!

Of course, this may come as news to later generations of readers who probably assumed that the war ended back in the 50s. But it never actually ended on paper… they simply came to a truce, putting the war on hold essentially for eternity. (Or at least until now.) But this week the Norks seemed to put an offer on the table to scrap the entire affair once and for all. (Fox News)

North Korea reportedly rejected the idea of resuming rodmantalks to abandon its nuclear program on Saturday, but said it would welcome negotiations for a peace treaty with Washington.

North Korea’s foreign ministry made the North-Korea-Mottostatement one day after President Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye said they were ready to open talks with Pyongyang on sanctions if they were serious about dissolving its nuclear Normalprogram, according to Reuters.

“If the United States insists on taking a different path, the Korean peninsula will only see our eating and drinkingunlimited nuclear deterrent being strengthened further,” the North said in a statement.

North and South Korea are still technically at war after signing a truce in 1953 to temporarily end their conflict.

coupSo just to be clear, Kim Jong-un’s people are not talking about stopping or even restricting their nuclear weapons program. They aren’t going to end their saber rattling against their neighbors to the south. In fact, they aren’t going to change a single thing in terms of the reasons that the entire civilized world aside from China and a few other communist holdouts have ostracized them. But they are willing to talk about a peace treaty with the United States.

That’s nice, isn’t it? If it happened it would give

China, North Korea, Confucius Prize, Kim Il Sung, political cartoon

China, North Korea, Confucius Prize, Kim Il Sung, political cartoon

John Kerry a chance to hang another “agreement” on the wall for his legacy as the Secretary of State. (And given what this one would be worth, it’s probably an excellent match for the Iran deal.) But how would this work? During his meeting with South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Barack Obama said that we were “ready” to talk about an agreement, but that seemed to be based on the idea that North Korea would disarm. Failing to hinder somebody’s nuclear ambitions hasn’t stopped him from coming to the table in the past, however, so what would we be giving up to the Norks for such a deal? No doubt some increases in shipments of food and other humanitarian assistance, as well as some fuel I imagine. And in exchange for that we would get…

A piece of paper???????????????????????

Why would North Korea give up their nukes at this point? They’ve gained the respect they wanted in terms of bringing the real world powers to the table with them and they don’t seem to be in any imminent danger of being attacked. They saw what happened to their partners in Libya when they gave up their program. (Muammar el-Qaddafi was unavailable for comment.) Honestly, why would we waste any more time talking to Kim Jong-un? Unless and until he starts lobbing some actual missiles at someone we’re likely better off leaving his country to starve.

A couple of weeks ago I got a flurry of appeal letters from ministries asking me to financially help them help the “refugees” fleeing the crap-hole called Syria.

The ministries hit me with the normative guilt-trip noise about “what would Jesus do?”; that “any good Christian worth their salt would definitely help the suffering refugees”; and that if the reader/me didn’t help these “refugees” then they/I suck as a Christian.

That’s not exactly what the letter said, but that was the gist of it.

Now, I know my tightly wound evangelical bros out there don’t think that I’m “saved” because I own a cigar company, openly enjoy alcohol and I, occasionally, can and do out cuss a stevedore, but I do try to please Jesus as much as a fallen critter can.

In addition, I’m well aware that my Catholic amigos think I have the soul of a heretic because I’m a fan of Calvin’s TULIP, but I too would like to inform them that, believe it or not, I’m sold, lock-stock-and-two-smokin’-barrels, on following the rebel from Galilee.

With all of that said … I would love to help people, especially folks suffering under the ignoble muck storm which is Islam, but from my perch these “poor refugees” look like psycho-terrorists, who are not “fleeing for their lives” but purposefully infiltrating Western Civilization in order to make it sink like Bruce Jenner’s new hooters soon will.

Matter of fact, ever since this mass migration to Europe from Syria has occurred, we’ve been following it over at my outfit ClashDaily.com quite religiously.

From what I’ve been able to deduce from the various news feeds from all over the planet, minus CNN, MSNBC and Glenn Beck’s show, is that these “poor refugees” don’t seem like they’re looking too arduously for help with a willingness to assimilate into their “saving” nation.

For instance, here’s what I have had a problem with:

  • The “poor refugee” pics I’ve seen seem to be filled with 18-45 year old, miffed Muslim men who look bat-crap crazy, entitled and angry at their receiving country.
  • Pardon me for being a skeptic, but when the “refugees”… “convert” … to Christianity, simply to appease and receive the perks — namely food and money — from the nation in which they’re currently flooding, I question their sincerity.
  • What’s up with these “refugees” being at the center of massive rape allegations? That seems weird.
  • I also have a hard time feeling pity for “refugees” when they scream “Allah Akbar” with pipes and sticks during rallies in Germany.
  • In addition, what “poor refugees” do you know that savagely attack a mother and her daughter?
  • Another thing I’m finding it hard to wrap my mind around is the “poor refugees’ ” talking trash to cops, screaming “f-ck you” and throwing their relief aid to the ground?
  • To add to this list, why would these “needy souls” orchestrate an attack in the Eurotunnel? That’s a strange choice, eh?
  • I hate to be negative, but I have to ask, how come these “suffering folks” overrun a hospital and stab doctors in their host country? Also, why haven’t we seen this on CNN and FOX NEWS? That’s also wa-wa-weird.
  • And finally, why doth the “unfortunate” file lawsuits against their welcoming governments for not coughing up cash quick enough?America Never Forget

Look, I’m all for helping people who wish to flee from some Suckistan and live free instead of with peeps stuck in the 7th century who believe that if they blow up innocent people that Allah is going to award them 72 chicks who don’t know to get their groove on; but the vast majority of what I’ve seen screams the opposite.

Are they indeed “poor refugees”? Well … I believe they’re poor in this sense of being morally bankrupt. In relation to their being persecuted “refugees”, I got to call BS on the vast majority of those supposedly “fleeing”. Looks more like “infiltrators’ ” preying on westerners’ multi-culti stupidity to this old redneck.Islam is NOT

But I digress.  Let’s go back to WWJD, shall we?

From what I’ve read of Jesus’ teachings, I don’t see him shaming good folks into helping murderous and religiously implacable hordes. Nay, I do not believe for one holy second that Jesus would let these enemies of humanity into any place other then hell for their delusions and deadly intent.

How do I draw such a conclusion? Well … it’s from this thing called reading “The Gospel” and drawing a conclusion, based on the entirety of Christ’s teachings regarding his nature and character. When I read, say, Matthew 23 I see Jesus’ being divinely intolerant of rude, bigoted, divisive, self-righteous, and murderous religious people who were a fraction of what Islam is. Yay, if the Jesus of the scripture poured anathemas upon the Pharisees, I’m guessing he would really lambaste impenitent Islam.  But then again … that’s just me and my read of the scripture.

Oh, and by the way, in case you need proof regarding all the atrocities I lined out about the “poor refugees” in the aforementioned bullet points, well here it is. Enjoy.

One last thing: Weren’t the Boston Bombers also considered “poor refugees” at one time?

Hillary Clinton’s critics immediately pounced when the Democratic presidential candidate released a roughly five-minute video touting her “accomplishments as secretary of state.”

The video plays up Clinton’s “vision” and “iron will,” but also focuses on her role in enacting sanctions against Iran and promoting “LGBT rights” around the world.

You can watch the video below (Make sure you have an empty stomach – JB):

It would only be common sense for all 50 states to be doing this.Islam is NOT

CAIR identified 16 states as having introduced legislation to ban or restrict Shariah law in 2013. The list is supposed to be meant as a condemnation of these states.

However, I know plenty of people who would use such a list as a guide for where to move.

The states are:

  • Alabama (two bills)
  • Arkansas
  • Florida (two bills)
  • Indiana (two bills)
  • Iowa
  • Kentucky
  • Mississippi (four bills)
  • Missouri (two bills)
  • North Carolina
  • Oklahoma (seven bills)
  • South Carolina (two bills)
  • Texas (six bills)
  • Virginia
  • Washington
  • West Virginia
  • Wyoming (two bills)

And hopefully in 2015, the list will get longer. Maybe someday we can even list all 50 states. (Conservative Tribune)

Being sick of ObamaAn Indiana man’s IRS bill went viral after he posted a photograph to his Facebook page of a $2,344 fine he claimed was from the federal government for not purchasing health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

Benjamin Miller said his insurance skyrocketed after President Barack Obama’s health care law took effect so he decided to forgo enrollment, provoking the claimed hefty fine from the IRS for violating the law’s individual mandate.

depression-obamacareIn the Facebook post, withheld because it contains personal information, Miller said the plan for him and his family cost $398 a month prior to Obamacare’s implementation. In 2014, after the law took effect, his insurance soared to $1,400 a month.

“So I chose not to pay $1,400 a month so [I] got a nice little fine,” Miller wrote in the Facebook post. “Thanks Obama for the fine for not having insurance … Thanks for the Affordable Care Act. Thanks for making it so affordable!”Complete Message

The bill shows Miller was penalized under Obamacare’s individual mandate, now termed a “shared responsibility payment,” which requires individuals to purchase health coverage or pay a fine.bill

Ed Haislmaier, a senior research fellow in health policy at The Heritage Foundation, said one of the main criticisms of the mandate since its introduction is that the fine is initially set so low that it is cheaper for people with middle or lower-middle incomes—particularly those who are young, healthy and without dependents—to pay the fine than to buy the health coverage. Last year, roughly 7.5 million Americans opted to pay the fine rather than purchase coverage under the Affordable Care Act, according to the IRS.

Obamacare SuppositoriesHaislmaier said the mandate remains “extremely unpopular” among Americans, with bipartisan opposition spanning across ideologies. “A lot of the people who are on the more conservative end of the political spectrum view this as an infringement on their personal liberty,” Haislmaier said. “Whereas people, even on the very left end of the political spectrum, have a dislike of private insurance and really resent the government forcing them to buy private coverage when they would much rather have a government, single-payer program.”

He said this opposition is likely to continue, particularly because these penalties are scheduled to increase.

Ubon Mendie, a spokesman for the IRS, said he could not confirm the authenticity of Miller’s photograph.

“Federal law would prohibit any federal employee from actually speaking about that,” Mendie said.

Hillary Clinton: Nationwide Gun Ban, Repeal of Second Amendment "Worth Considering"

Hillary Clinton said it’s “worth considering” a nationwide gun ban and a “buyback” program to eradicate private gun ownership.

The presidential candidate attacked the Second Amendment during an Oct. 16 town hall meeting in which she was asked if it were feasible for the U.S. to confiscate millions of firearms in a year.Armed

Hillary said:

“You know, Australia’s a good example, Canada’s a good example, the UK’s a good example. Why? Because each of them had mass killings, Australia had a huge mass killing about 20 or 25 years ago. Canada did as well, so did the UK. In reaction, they passed much stricter gun laws.’

“In the Australian example, as I recall, that was a buyback program. The Australian government as part of trying to clamp down on the availability of … weapons offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns and basically clamped down going forward, in terms of having more of a background check approach, more of a permitting approach.’

“But they believed, and I think the evidence supports them, that by offering to buy back those guns, they were able to, you know, curtail the supply and set a different standard for gun purchases in the future. “Delusional Mental Illness Gibberish

Clinton also mentioned that several U.S. cities have done gun buyback programs and it would be “worth considering on a national level.”Hey Leftist

But she failed to mention that she supported shipping guns to Syrian rebels, the majority of whom are either ISIS militants or affiliated with the Islamic State.

“In fact she was the biggest cheerleader for redistributing these arms to Syrian rebels,” presidential candidate Rand Paul told Fox News in July. “The reason this is an important issue is many of these people who received the arms are not friends of America.”

Many of them are linked to al Qaeda and al-Nusra and some of these weapons may well have ended up in the hands of people who became ISIS.”Symbolism over substance

Virtually all of the rebels in Syria have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

“The Free Syrian Army and the Syrian National Council, the vaunted bulwarks of the moderate opposition, only really exist in hotel lobbies and the minds of Western diplomats,” journalist Ben Reynolds wrote in November. “There is simply no real separation between ‘moderate’ rebel groups and hardline Salafists allied with al-Qaeda.”Islam is NOT

The New York Times made a similar statement.

“Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of,” the newspaper reported in 2013.Disarmed Citizenry
