By Fred Lucas – AlphaNews.org – Oct 23, 2025

“Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our republic, and every illegal vote dilutes the voice of law-abiding American citizens,” said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
(The Daily Signal) — Two-thirds of state attorneys general have jumped into the fray over a potential federal rule to require proof of citizenship for voting forms.
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission, a four-member federal panel, will review a petition started by watchdog group America First Legal to add the requirement on the federal voter registration form.

JUST IN: President Trump Increases Tariffs on Canada in Blistering Statement After Government of Ontario Plays Deceptive Reagan Ad During World Series

By Cristina Laila – The Gateway Pundit – Oct 25, 2026

President Trump on Saturday increased tariffs on Canada by 10% over what they are paying now after the government of Ontario played the deceptive Ronald Reagan ad during the World Series.
“Canada was caught, red handed, putting up a fraudulent advertisement on Ronald Reagan’s Speech on Tariffs. The Reagan Foundation said that they, “created an ad campaign using selective audio and video of President Ronald Reagan. The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address,” and “did not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks,” President Trump said on Truth Social.
“The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is reviewing its legal options in this matter.” The sole purpose of this FRAUD was Canada’s hope that the United States Supreme Court will come to their “rescue” on Tariffs that… READ MORE

DEMOCRAT BACKFIRE: The Government Shutdown Has Awakened the Public About How Many People Are on Food Stamps

By Mike LaChance – The Gateway Pundit – Oct 27, 2025

One aspect of the government shutdown that probably wasn’t anticipated by Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, is that it has revealed to the public just how many people receive food stamps.
Years ago, when the program was still called ‘food stamps’ it was seen as something that struggling families might use temporarily to get through a hard time. Then it was re-branded as the ‘SNAP’ program and destigmatized. People were encouraged to enroll. Now there are many more people using the program, many who probably don’t even really need it.
The longer the shutdown goes on, the more reports there are about this and it’s stunning to taxpayers who did not realize until now how incredibly huge this is… READ MORE

Washington Post: Some Democrats Now ‘Growing Anxious’ About What a Zohran Mamdani Victory Will Mean for Their Party

By Mike LaChance – The Gateway Pundit – Oc 28, 2025

A new report from the Washington Post claims that some Democrats are getting nervous about what a win for Zohran Mamdani in New York City would mean for their party in the long term. They are not alone.
Even Bill Maher expressed concerns about this on his show last Friday night.
The Democratic Socialist (communist) candidate has very little experience and has promised the moon and more to his loyal supporters. Rank and file Democrats, who have fought the ‘socialist’ label for years, now realize that there will be no escape from that in the future if Mamdani wins and becomes the face of the party.

Trump’s Columbus Day Proclamation – End of Woke, Celebrates Discoverer of America, Restores Italian-American Pride

By Antonio Graceffo – The Gateway Pundit – Oct 10, 2025

President Donald Trump, in his October 9, 2025 White House Proclamation, wrote, “Today our Nation honors the legendary Christopher Columbus, the original American hero, a giant of Western civilization, and one of the most gallant and visionary men to ever walk the face of the earth.” The proclamation officially designates Monday, October 13, 2025, as Columbus Day, making it the only official holiday in October and effectively removing Indigenous Peoples Day from federal recognition.
Columbus Day has been a federal holiday since 1934 and was never abolished, but Trump’s action signaled that his administration will no longer recognize Indigenous Peoples Day. That observance had been introduced by President Biden in 2021, when he became the first U.S. president to issue a proclamation recognizing Indigenous Peoples Day alongside Columbus Day… READ MORE

President Trump to Meet Russ Vought to Cut ‘Political SCAM Democrat Agencies’ Following Government Shutdown: “I Can’t Believe the Radical Left Democrats Gave Me This Unprecedented Opportunity”

With Congress deadlocked and the shutdown entering its second day, the White House is pressing ahead with sweeping plans to slash government.
Trump described the impasse not as a crisis but as a chance to purge bureaucratic excesses and reshape federal power in line with conservative priorities.

‘Minnesota is drowning in fraud’: Prosecutors unveil first indictments in housing program fraud

By Luke Sprinkel – AphaNews – Sept 18, 2025

“The level of fraud in these programs is staggering. Unfortunately, our system of trust but verify no longer works,” Acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said regarding fraud in state programs.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota has indicted eight individuals for their alleged role in defrauding the state’s Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program. In a press briefing, Acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said most of the $100 million HSS program was fraud.
In August, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) shut down HSS, a housing assistance program funded by Medicaid but operated by DHS. State leaders said HSS was shut down due to widespread fraud within the program.
Today, Thompson confirmed HSS is “riddled with fraud” as he announced eight individuals have been indicted for allegedly defrauding the program. Thompson told the press, “I think of the eight, I don’t know for sure, but I think six of the eight are of East African descent.”… READ MORE

Jimmy Kimmel Got Paid $16 MILLION Yearly for NOTHING

By Gregory Lyakhov – The Gateway Pundit – Sept 20, 2025

Jimmy Kimmel’s downfall was not sudden, nor was it really about one offensive remark regarding Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
The truth is, ABC had been looking for a reason to push him out. Kimmel’s contract, set to expire next year, gave the network an easy out: if he became a liability to the company’s image, he could be suspended.
That is precisely what happened. The Charlie Kirk controversy was only the excuse.
For years, Kimmel collected a staggering $16 million annually, while his ratings were collapsing.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” fell from nearly two million viewers in January 2025 to just 1.1 million by August, trailing his late-night competitors.
Those numbers told ABC all it needed to know. Why keep paying one of television’s most enormous salaries when the show could no longer justify the cost?… READ MORE

In recent years, hazy skies and bad air have plagued Minnesota throughout summertime. The seemingly constant smokiness has become a major frustration for Minnesotans who would like to enjoy the state’s beautiful outdoors but are faced with awful conditions.

WATCH: NY Gov. Kathy Hochul and IL Gov. JB Pritzker Dare Trump to Arrest Them, MN Gov. Tampon Tim Walz Chickens Out During Congressional Hearing

By Jordan Conradson – The Gateway Pundit – June 12, 2025

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz sat before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday, where they taunted the Trump Administration, daring Tom Homan to arrest them for their lawless sanctuary state policies.
Republicans grilled the Governors in a hearing titled “A Hearing with Sanctuary State Governors.”
Democrats used the opportunity to rant against the Trump administration, accusing Trump of inciting violence and violating the rights of illegal aliens in the interior of our country.
When Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) used his time to rail against the Trump Administration for sending troops to stop the violent insurrection in Los Angeles and claim that “people are protesting, nonviolently, President Trump’s treatment of immigrants.”
Frost highlighted the arrest of a Milwaukee Judge on obstruction of justice charges for concealing an illegal alien from ICE agents, a mayor for trespassing on an ICE facility, Democrat New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver for assaulting federal agents, and recent calls for California Governor Gavin Newsom’s arrest from President Trump. “Why is Trump now saying he wants to arrest governors? It’s because he knows that some of the people who are going to be the greatest opposition to his lawlessness are democratic governors standing up for their people,” he said… READ MORE

Tension between Trump and Elon Musk boiled over on Thursday after the President responded to the SpaceX founder’s thrashing of the Big Beautiful Act and its spending levels, sparking a very public feud between the two.

Lawmaker calls for reform after Feeding Our Future suspect tries to flee amid fraud charges

“The woman arrested this week has been involved in MDH-licensed businesses for nearly 20 years,” said Rep. Dawn Gillman, warning that the lack of guardrails in Minnesota has created a “nauseating” breeding ground for fraud.
A Minnesota lawmaker says the arrest of a woman tied to the Feeding Our Future scandal highlights years of systemic failures and the urgent need for reform in how the state oversees taxpayer-funded care programs.
Hibo Daar, 50, was arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport this week as she allegedly tried to flee the country. Prosecutors say she orchestrated a massive fraud through her business, Northside Wellness Center, under the sponsorship of Feeding Our Future — the nonprofit behind the largest COVID-19-related fraud case in U.S. history.

Trump Scores Another Legal Win in Lawsuit Against NYT and ‘Washington Compost’ in His Case Against Pulitzer Board and Their Award for Fake News Reporting

By Jim Hoft – The Gateway Pundit – May 29, 2025

President Donald Trump has secured another victory in his ongoing battle against “fake news” and “the Russia collusion hoax.”
On Wednesday night, President Trump cheered the news that the Florida Appellate Court “viciously rejected” the defendant’s attempt to halt the case.
The suit challenges the legitimacy of the 2018 Pulitzer Prizes awarded to fake news, The New York Times and The Washington Post, for their coverage of the debunked Trump-Russia collusion hoax.
The roots of this narrative trace back to July 2020, when the Senate Judiciary Committee released damning documents that debunked the New York Times’s story of the Trump team’s alleged “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials.” READ MORE

By Jenna Gloeb – AlphaNews.org – Jan 3, 2025

Speaker-designate Lisa Demuth said Minnesota needs “a process that is truly independent of the leadership that allowed fraud to run rampant over the last five years.”
After six years in office and hundreds of millions lost to fraud, Gov. Tim Walz announced a new anti-fraud initiative Friday, raising questions about why it took so long for the governor to act.
With just under two years left before the next gubernatorial election, Walz says he wants to “turn the dial” on the state’s approach to combating fraud.
“It’s simply unacceptable. It’s maddening, and it makes myself and Minnesotans angry about this,” Walz said.
The plan includes creating a centralized fraud investigation unit under the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), expanded use of artificial intelligence for fraud detection, and increased penalties for financial crimes targeting public assistance programs. READ MORE

An investigation into ballot discrepancies in Scott County is still ongoing, but preliminary conclusions released today from the county attorney state that 20 ballots were likely thrown away without being counted.
Earlier this month, the county announced that its elections manager “identified a discrepancy in the count of ballots, in which 21 more absentee records than ballots were counted in the City of Shakopee.”

And so, we’ve come to the point where the ‘mean tweets’ are fully back, and President-Elect Donald J. Trump is dishing out policy initiatives and warnings to actors around the world via his own postings.
Today (30), Trump’s target was the BRICS countries: – Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Hegseth would be highest ranking Minnesotan serving White House in decades

By Hank Long – AlphaNews.com – Nov 21, 2024

Vice President-elect J.D. Vance is expected to introduce Hegseth to his Senate colleagues this week.
Since Minnesota achieved statehood in 1858, only a few Minnesotans have had the honor to serve in a presidential cabinet and stand in the line of presidential succession.
If the incoming Republican majority class of U.S. Senate members vote to confirm Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense in January, the Forest Lake native would become one of the highest-ranking White House cabinet members from the North Star State ever.

Minnesota House GOP ‘broke the Democrat trifecta’ with three big wins in Greater Minnesota

By Hank Long – Alpha News – Nov 6, 2024

Just about 24 hours after the polls opened in Minnesota and more than 3 million people had cast their ballots, a picture of who will control the levers of power at the Minnesota Capitol in January began to emerge but remains somewhat blurry.
This much is known: Tim Walz will return to St. Paul as governor. He will preside over a divided legislature.
Whether Republicans in the Minnesota House will share power with the DFL (where each caucus would hold 67 of 134 seats), or will have a razor thin majority of one or two (recount dependent) seats has not yet been cemented.
Nevertheless, Republicans were declaring victory when it came to Minnesota’s legislative landscape around the same time Tuesday night that it became clear Donald Trump would return to the White House as president. READ MORE

The Biden-Harris administration ushered in a regime of censorship, government surveillance and political weaponization that targeted now President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters, botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan on an arbitrary, no-conditions timeline, left the U.S. southern border wide open and allowed millions of illegal aliens to penetrate the U.S., restricted U.S. energy and agriculture production while prices soared, institutionalized Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) racial and gender hiring quotas into the federal bureaucracy and U.S. corporations via… READ MORE

Harris is still ahead of Trump overall with 48.8 percent to 44.6 percent, but her lead has shrunk from the 5-point advantage reported in a local poll two weeks ago. His promise was made in reaction to congressional Republicans who want to include it with any continuing resolution required to fund the next fiscal year, which begins on Oct. 1. The president’s adamant opposition to what most Americans support demonstrates just how much Democrats are dedicated to making it easier to cheat in elections.

On Dec. 16, 2020, as chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, I held a hearing titled, “Examining the Irregularities in the 2020 election.” In spite of the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the election irregularity deniers, there were many indisputable irregularities.

In Wisconsin, 170,000 faulty absentee ballots in Milwaukee and Dane County were improperly counted by election clerks. Representatives of the far-left “Zuckerbucks” program — which is designed to pour left-wing dollars into local election offices, benefiting their Democrat candidates — imposed such heavy-handed direction in Green Bay that the local election clerk resigned from the stress and allowed Zuckerberg’s minions to run the election. “Democracy in the Park” was allowed in Madison, where activists unlawfully collected 17,300 ballots. Seniors in nursing homes voted without the required voting deputies present, bordering on elder abuse for political gain. As was the case in other states, election observers were not allowed to effectively observe the election process.

More recently, as one of many examples of states cleaning voter rolls, Virginia cancelled 6,303 noncitizens’ voter registrations.

Unfortunately, the election irregularity deniers have been so effective — aided and abetted by the corporate media — that these abuses have not only been ignored, but those who wish to cheat in the 2024 election have been able to devise new election fraud schemes. Absent media scrutiny, Republicans are undertaking efforts to stop them.

In one of the most closely contested states, Wisconsin’s governor vetoed nine election reforms passed by the Republican legislature and designed to restore confidence in our state election system. The Wisconsin Election Commission refuses to remove more than 4 million ineligible voters from our out-of-date voter roll (Wisconsin has approximately 3.5 million eligible voters). Election integrity starts with clean voter rolls, and by refusing to clean up Wisconsin’s, Democrats are clearly stating that they’d rather leave room for fraud than increase confidence in our election system.

Following a pressure campaign from Senate Republicans and the Republican National Committee (RNC), Nevada just removed 90,000 voters from its lists. If Nevada can do it, why can’t the Badger State?

Biden’s Executive Order to Register Voters

Nationally, the potential for election interference and voter fraud seems to be growing, with minimal attention being paid to it. Let’s start with President Joe Biden’s executive order directing federal agencies to register voters. Does anyone seriously believe these registration drives will be done in a nonpartisan manner? How many taxpayer dollars will be spent registering individuals most likely to vote for the party of big government and more deficit spending?

The RNC and Trump campaign recently sued the Biden administration to stop this partisan activity. Will courts intervene in time?

States Cleaning Voter Rolls

The Democrats’ open border policy is guaranteed to result in widespread voter fraud. Democrat presidential nominee Harris’ vice-presidential pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, signed a law giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. That license, together with a utility bill, is all someone needs to register to vote in Minnesota. Democrats claim that because it is illegal for noncitizens to vote, illegal immigrants won’t register. We should be highly skeptical of that being an effective deterrent. Last week, the RNC sent a demand letter to Minnesota’s secretary of state following the revelation that a noncitizen in Minnesota received a ballot that he hadn’t even asked for. That is unlikely to be an isolated incident.

After all, Ohio just purged 499 illegal immigrants from its voter rolls following a multi-phase audit. But that’s in a state with Republican leadership that actually believes in election integrity and wants to make it difficult to cheat. Elsewhere, Boston officials disclosed that 70 illegal aliens contacted county election officials asking to be removed from voter registration lists. How did those Massachusetts noncitizens get registered, and how many remain on the registration lists? While it’s good to see officials in some states taking the lead to purge their voter rolls, there is much more work to be done.

Laundering Donations

In March 2023, journalist James O’Keefe first reported on a campaign financing violation dubbed “smurfing.” Unbeknownst to the “donors,” Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports show in some cases tens of thousands of small dollar donations being made in their names, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. One example in Wisconsin detailed five “smurfs” making a combined total of 28,471 donations, worth $401,326. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., was a recipient of 531 of those donations, worth $5,147. No wonder Democrats report a resounding lead in small dollar donations!

My Senate staff has been pressuring the FEC to investigate these violations, but the FEC won’t even acknowledge whether they are investigating. Republican attorneys general such as Jason Miyares in Virginia have thankfully launched concurrent investigations to demand answers and stop this unfair practice.

Presidential Election

For well over a year, I have publicly expressed my doubts that Biden would be the Democrat nominee. I would generally add that whoever replaced him would immediately be placed on a pedestal and declared the new messiah. But even I am astonished by the extent to which my prediction has come true. Former President Donald Trump is not running against Kamala Harris, he is running against the entire corporate media, who are coordinating their efforts to defeat him.

This is not a new phenomenon. Remember the Russia hoax, which the corporate media cheered on? How about Google manipulating search results to favor Democrats and suppress Republicans? Most “journalists” in corporate media today are merely advocates for the left. Honest, unbiased reporting has largely gone the way of the dinosaur.

As alarming as the reality described above is, I have not written this column to discourage, but as a call to action. The RNC and Trump campaign have recruited 157,000 poll workers and poll watchers across the country ahead of November. Join the effort at ProtectTheVote.com, and make sure to get out and vote as soon as your state allows. We can beat the forces arrayed against us if we turn out in numbers that are too big to rig.

Effective July 2025, teacher licensing rules passed last year in Minnesota under Democrat Gov. Tim Walz will ban practicing Christians, Jews, and Muslims from teaching in public schools. Walz is now the presidential running mate of current U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris. His resume includes a stint as a high school social studies teacher who sponsored a student queer sex club in 1999.

Starting next July, Minnesota agencies controlled by Walz appointees will require teacher license applicants to affirm transgenderism and race Marxism. Without a teaching license, individuals cannot work in Minnesota public schools, nor in the private schools that require such licenses. The latest version of the regulations requires teachers to “affirm” students’ “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” to receive a Minnesota teaching license:

The teacher fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as race/ethnicity, national origin, language, sex and gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical/developmental/emotional ability, socioeconomic class, and religious beliefs are historically and socially contextualized, affirmed, and incorporated into a learning environment where students are empowered to learn and contribute as their whole selves (emphasis added).

Last spring, administrative law judges finally approved these pending changes The Federalist reported one month before they were finalized. Universities are also affected: starting in 2025, they must either train their teaching students to fulfill these anti-Christian requirements or be banned from offering state licensing — and thus the ticket to the vast majority of teaching jobs — to their students.

Since 2020 in Minnesota, teachers renewing their licenses, which is usually required every five to seven years, must demonstrate “cultural competency” similar to the requirements imposed in 2025 on new teaching licensees. Teachers renewing their licensing must “Show[] evidence of self-reflection and discussion of” topics that include “Gender Identity, Including Transgender Students” and “Sexual Orientation.” They must also show they understand “bias” in themselves, and their students related to race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other cultural Marxist categories.

Queer Totalitarianism Forces Religion into the Closet

Some Christian universities in the state will obey these regulations, said Doug Seaton, founder and president of the nonprofit Upper Midwest Law Center, located in Minneapolis. Some Christian universities will not, but so far, those UMLC has reached out to that plan to disobey these state commands to violate their faith will do so quietly and only sue when the state finds and punishes them, Seaton said.

“Some are not willing to do it [file a lawsuit] until they actually have their college programs tagged for noncompliance, or their graduates actually not licensed as a consequence of not adhering to these standards,” he said in a phone interview. This comes even though UMLC, as a public interest law firm, would undertake the litigation and pay the vast majority of its expenses thanks to their donors. Three Minnesota Christian Universities The Federalist reached out to did not return inquiries on whether they would enforce the new licensing rules.

Faithful members of the world’s largest and oldest religions cannot in good conscience “affirm” non-heterosexual sexual orientations and gender identities. Christians who do so publicly deny their faith, something Jesus Christ said endangers a person’s soul and eternal bliss after death: “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32, 33).

Minnesota’s teacher requirements therefore force Christians, Muslims, Jews, and adherents to other religions to violate their faith and endanger their hopes of eternal life in order to work in government-run schools.

Forcing people to testify to beliefs they don’t hold, often called compelled speech, is clearly unconstitutional, he said: “They’re essentially requiring people to affirm these ideas that they don’t really believe, in many cases, as a condition of being a public-school teacher or being part of a program to be a licensed public-school teacher. You can’t force that kind of speech; you can’t require adherence to ideas that aren’t believed.”

The 13-member board that made these changes is appointed by the governor, whom for the last six years has been Walz. So, Walz is poised to make similar bigoted, totalitarian, and unconstitutional policies across the United States should he be elected vice president.

Marinating Kids in Anti-American Propaganda

As I reported last year, Minnesota’s new teacher requirements also “require teachers to agree that the taxpayers supplying their salaries and the people who created the school system that will employ them are racists and affirm other cultural Marxist beliefs.”

“For example, Standard 6C requires that ‘The teacher understands the historical foundations of education in Minnesota … that have and continue to create inequitable opportunities, experiences, and outcomes for learners … especially for … students historically denied access, underserved, or underrepresented on the basis of race … gender, sexual orientation.’That “standard” remains in the latest version of the regulations, under the same number.

Recently in The Wall Street Journal, Katherine Kersten examined curricular changes Minnesota is making under Walz’s administration in “ethnic studies” that mirror these changes to teacher licensing requirements.

Mr. Walz signed the law establishing this initiative in 2023. The department’s standards and benchmarks, approved in January, require first-graders to ‘identify examples of ethnicity, equality, liberation and systems of power’ and ‘use those examples to construct meanings for those terms.’

Fourth graders must ‘identify the processes and impacts of colonization and examine how discrimination and the oppression of various racial and ethnic groups have produced resistance movements.’ High-school students are told to ‘develop an analysis of racial capitalism’ and ‘anti-Blackness’ and are taught to view themselves as members of ‘racialized hierarchies’ based on ‘dominant European beauty standards.”

The new teacher requirements are also rife with demands to agree with race Marxism, as Child Protection League analyses detail. Below are just a few examples.

Walz’s first executive order as governor was to install a “diversity, equity, and inclusion,” or DEI, council. Former Minnesota state legislator Allen Quist notes that “The radical Walz administration Department of Human Rights has also forced school districts to report student discipline by race and require equal outcomes (equity) in discipline. The results have been horrific chaos and violence.”

During Walz’s governorship, student achievement in Minnesota has gone from among the best in the nation to declining more sharply than anywhere else in the nation, according to the Minneapolis-based Center for the American Experiment. The most recent scores show Minnesota fourth graders dipping below the national average in reading for the first time ever recorded on the well-respected Nation’s Report Card.

Research has found for decades that there is no link between teacher certification and student achievement. People who enter teaching with a degree other than in education tend to have significantly higher personal and student academic performance.

‘Let Minneapolis burn’: Retired police lieutenant rips Gov Walz for surrendering city to rioters

MINNEAPOLIS – A retired police lieutenant in Minnesota is pushing back against the narrative that Gov. Tim Walz is a “moderate” and tells Fox News Digital that the governor “intentionally” let Minneapolis burn during the 2020 riots because he “truly doesn’t like police.”

“He is not a moderate, he has never been a moderate and here in Minnesota he has been anti-police, he has raised taxes, he is nowhere near being a moderate,” retired Minnesota State Patrol Lt. John Nagel told Fox News Digital.

“He’s anti-police, defund the police, when you have police families, and we have an officer killed in the line of duty, when that family looks at the governor and says we don’t want you at the funeral. That should tell you a great deal of how law enforcement in general feels about Walz.”

Last year, the widow of Pope County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Owen, who was killed in the line of duty responding to a domestic violence call, told Walz he was not invited to her late husband’s funeral because “he does not support law enforcement,” Alpha News reported.

Retired Minnesota State Police Lt. John Nagel blasted Gov. Tim Walz’s relationship with police.

Nagel told Fox News Digital that a major reason law enforcement in Minnesota is unhappy with Walz was his slow response when asked to send in the National Guard as the city burned during the 2020 George Floyd riots, which Walz has faced fierce criticism for since becoming the Democratic vice-presidential nominee. Nagel, who is running for office as a Republican in Minnesota House District 46A, explained that he believes the slow response was due in part to a political calculation.

“We’re hearing this over and over and over again, he let Minneapolis burn,” Nagel said. “I think he intentionally let Minneapolis burn.”

“I think it was all part of a much greater scheme because he truly doesn’t like the police. [Minnesota Attorney General] Keith Ellison has never liked the police. They have been involved with people who are defunding the police.”

Walz, who publicly backed “alternatives to policing” as the Minnesota City Council was pushing to disband the police department in 2020, has been widely criticized by Republicans for not doing more to support law enforcement during the riots.

“Tim Walz let Minneapolis burn for three straight nights without doing anything,” GOP Rep. Pete Stauber, who represents Duluth, Minnesota and surrounding areas, previously told Fox News Digital. “And he called the riots, he stated their actions were, this is a quote, ‘righteous anger.’ Hundreds of millions of dollars in damage to family businesses and buildings in Minneapolis.”

Stauber told Fox News Digital the “vast majority” of law enforcement in Minnesota are “disgruntled” with Walz’s “lack of support.”

Nagel, who served in uniform for 30 years, told Fox News Digital that Democrat policies are “hurting Minnesota,” causing people to leave “in droves” and argued that Walz has played a key part in the “dismantling of public safety in Minnesota.”

Fox News Digital asked Nagel what he thinks voters who were not familiar with Walz need to know about him from a veteran law enforcement officer’s perspective.

“I think they need to understand that he’s not truthful, I think they need to understand that he’s power hungry, they need to understand that he’s not doing this for the good of the people,” Nagel said.

“He’s doing it for the good of himself, and he is going to be lockstep with whatever the Democrats want, and I think it would be, just take a look at Minnesota, he’s ruined Minnesota along with this trifecta of the Democrats. Can you only imagine what he’s going to be able to do with your federal tax dollars? And when North Korea decides to knock on the door, he and his president, are they going to be able to actually handle a national crisis when he couldn’t handle a crisis in Minneapolis?”

Fox News Digital reached out to the Harris-Walz campaign for comment and did not receive a response.

‘Devastating agenda’: Top Minnesota lawmaker sounds alarm on businesses fleeing Walz’s ‘socialist crusade’

STURGEON LAKE, Minn. — A GOP congressman in northeast Minnesota is blasting the economic policies of Gov. Tim Walz, arguing that the governor’s economic efforts and COVID policies have been “devastating” for most Minnesotans.

“I’ve talked to a lot of businesses that either have left or when they expand are not expanding in Minnesota,” Rep. Pete Stauber, who represents Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District, told Fox News Digital. “I mean, hundreds of millions of private investment are leaving Minnesota under Walz’s watch.”

“He’s supported the highest income tax rate in the nation at 10%, he has taken a $19 billion surplus, and the next year added a $10 billion tax on the hardworking Minnesotans. He’s increased government spending by almost 50%. Very little growth in the private sector. I think if you look at North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, our neighboring states are growing the private-sector jobs three and four times more than Walz.”

The right-leaning Tax Foundation’s State Business Tax Climate Index for 2024, which was published in October 2023, ranked Minnesota as having the 44th best tax climate for businesses in the country.

An analysis published by the left-leaning Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy in January found that Minnesota’s tax code was the most progressive of all 50 states, with only the District of Columbia having a more progressive one.

“You talk to [Gov.] Kristi Noem in South Dakota, she says one of the best things to happen for South Dakota was Walz becoming governor in Minnesota — they’re just leaving our state,” Stauber told Fox News Digital.

The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce produced a 2023 state of business retention and expansion in Minnesota report that said, “While overall activity ticked up in Minnesota since 2021, the state consistently ranks near the bottom of Midwest states for new and expansion projects. Minnesota ranked 10th out of 12 states in the region in total projects from 2018 to 2022, and ranked 10th in projects per capita in 2022.”

“Data from fDi Markets shows that Minnesota based companies are expanding in other states at a higher rate than out-of-state companies are expanding in Minnesota,” the report stated. “Since 2020, Minnesota had a net investment deficit of 54 projects, 2,500 jobs and $6.6 billion in capital expenditures.”

The report did add, however, that “Minnesota’s corporate and financial sector expanded at a relatively fast pace over the past decade.”

“Minnesota is a recognized hub for corporate headquarters and industry-leading businesses… This professional and technical talent pool extends beyond just corporate headquarters, making Minnesota a conducive environment for companies in financial and professional/technical services as well,” it said.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Harris-Walz campaign spokesperson Charles Lutvak said, “After Donald Trump devastated our nation’s economy, Gov. Walz led Minnesota back with strong leadership, competent management, and smart policies — cutting taxes for working families and reaching the lowest state unemployment rate in recorded history.”

“That’s why CNBC ranked Minnesota the best state in the country for business outside of the South. Every day until November 5, Trump will have to defend his record of instability and unpopular anti-growth agenda against Team Harris-Walz’s record and vision to foster business growth, create jobs, and lower costs for the American people,” he said.

Earlier this year, CNBC ranked Minnesota as the sixth-best state for business, which several Minnesota residents who spoke to Fox News Digital seemingly disagreed with.

“We joke that we’re mini California,” Matthew A., a Minnesota resident who owns a farm with his family raising corn and soybeans, recently told Fox News Digital.

“Most of us, if we could, we would annex into South Dakota. [Walz has] put policies in place that have hurt small businesses. I have friends that have lost small businesses because of his policies. It’s killing our small towns, our rural development.”

The Cato Institute found this year that IRS migration data shows “the state is losing about ten households earning more than $200,000 for every six that it gains, which is the fifth worst ratio among the states.”

At the same time, Minnesota ranks 44th on the Tax Foundation’s business tax climate index, giving companies a strong incentive to invest elsewhere. To stem the outflow of skilled people and capital, Minnesota would need to adopt a leaner government and cut individual and business tax rates.

Stauber told Fox News Digital that Walz has led a “socialist crusade in Minnesota” and that voters should expect him to do the “same at the national level” as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.

“You saw her do it as a senator from California, and you’ve seen Tim Walz do it as the governor in Minnesota — many, many devastating policies and legislation that he has signed that has not benefited the vast majority of Minnesotans,” he said.

Former White House Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Kevin Hassett told FOX Business last week that Walz has a “disturbing” approach to economic policy and “absolutely is a tax-and-spend liberal.”

Minnesota Bar Owner to Newsmax: Gov. Walz Destroyed My Business

By Brian Freeman    |   Tuesday, 13 August 2024 10:46 AM EDT

Lisa Zarza told Newsmax on Tuesday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s pandemic policies made her lose her businesses and have put her through such hardships that she is leaving the state she has lived in almost her entire life.

“God help us all if he is in the White House and has anything to say with what goes on in our country,” Zarza told “Wake Up America.”

“I owned a restaurant, two restaurants in Minnesota … and when the entire nation was shut down on March 17, 2020, we all shut down like every American” at the start of the pandemic.

“We reopened about 2 1/2 months later, and everything was going fine, we were at about 50%,” she said, but then Walz as governor shut down restaurants again except for take-out as of Nov. 20 — a week before Black Friday.

Zarza said that about a month later about 200 bar owners decided to fight the mandates, as many other states had not shut down again, and that she was 1 of 10 that eventually reopened on Dec. 16. She said her punishment for doing so went way beyond the penalties stated in the executive order.

“I lost both my restaurants; I had all my licenses stripped. I was revoked for having a license in the state of Minnesota for five years. I never thought I was above the law. I just thought I was an American who deserved to have equal treatment across the board,” Zarza said.

“I don’t want to be in Minnesota anymore. I bought a restaurant in Wisconsin two years ago, and I have been commuting two hours a day since then … in seven months the lease on my house will be up, and I am leaving Minnesota.”

Zarza said Walz pretends that he is for the people, but that he is not and did not do anything during the pandemic to protect business owners, children, or other residents that needed help.

Kamala Harris Selects Radical Leftist Tim Walz As 2024 Running Mate

Following weeks of speculation, Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Tuesday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be her 2024 running mate, creating the most radically left presidential ticket in modern history.

“I am proud to announce that I’ve asked @Tim_Walz to be my running mate,” Harris wrote on X. “It’s great to have him on the team.”

Tuesday’s pick surprised many political analysts, who viewed Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as the likely candidate to run alongside Harris. While governor of a key battleground state, Shapiro’s Jewish heritage and prior support for Israel prompted America’s corrupt media to speculate that his presence on the 2024 ticket would discourage the antisemitic wing of the Democrat Party from voting in the November contest.

Much like their bid to sanitize Harris’ extreme record, left-wing activists masquerading as journalists will undoubtedly work to whitewash Walz’s radical tenure as Minnesota’s governor.

In 2020, Walz reportedly delayed sending the National Guard to Minneapolis to stop riots that broke out in response to the death of George Floyd. According to the Star Tribune, “dozens of buildings had been looted and torched” by the time Walz’s government deployed the Guard to quell the violence.

Walz displayed his affinity for authoritarian policies that same year when instituting draconian Covid restrictions. In March 2020, he unliterally implemented a statewide stay-at-home order for all Minnesotans, closing schools, restaurants, and churches in the process.

During the state’s reopening phase a few months later, the Democrat governor allowed venues such as bars and tattoo parlors to open their doors for business, while still demanding places of worship remain closed. Residents who defied the state’s overreaching edicts were subsequently charged and jailed.

Walz also instituted statewide mask mandates, presided over a $250 million fraud scheme involving the misuse of Covid funds, and kept children — the least at-risk demographic for Covid mortality — out of school for months.

But the Democrat governor’s radical track record doesn’t stop there. Walz has signed virtually every piece of extreme legislation sent to his desk after state Democrats took unified control of the Minnesota Legislature during the 2022 midterms.

In recent years, he’s signed bills allowing abortions up until the moment of birth; banning “private conversations between therapists and patients struggling with their sex and sexuality;” making Minnesota “carbon-free” by 2040; permitting women from other states to travel to Minnesota to obtain abortions; granting 55,000 felons “voting rights;” allowing “trans” surgeries for minors; and allowing minors from other states to receive harmful “trans” procedures in Minnesota.

On immigration, Walz has been a major supporter of sanctuary cities and states. He also previously signed legislation allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses and reportedly backed efforts to provide aliens in the state with taxpayer-funded health care and college tuition. During a previous CNN interview, he promoted the idea of investing in a “ladder factory” to help illegals scale President Trump’s border wall.

To put the cherry on top, Walz previously downplayed the dangers of socialism — a state-run economic policy responsible for the deaths of millions worldwide.

“Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” Walz said. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”

Trump vs. Biden: 4 highlights from the first presidential debate

CNN hosted the debate, which took place in Atlanta. The network declared that the first presidential debate would be held without a live audience, but would include two commercial breaks — the first presidential debate in history to have ads.
CNN also granted the debate moderators a new power; namely, the ability to mute one candidate when the other was speaking. READ MORE…

SCOTUS Murthy Decision: Coney Barrett Enables Biden’s Mass Censorship Regime

By Benjamin Wetmore – June 27, 2024

Yesterday, in a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court rendered its decision in Murthy v. Missouri where Justice Amy Coney Barrett said, “Neither the individual nor the state plaintiffs have established Article III standing to seek an injunction against any defendant” meaning that, there is no stopping the government’s censorship regime while the case proceeds at the lower court in Louisiana.

You can read this awful decision here.

Many legal scholars are of the opinion that the high court is broadcasting its overall views by ruling on procedure here, and that they are not interested in hearing the merits of the rest of this case. Meaning that the Supreme Court justices are signaling to the lower courts to keep the censorship regime in full swing. READ MORE…

Leftists Cry ‘Separation of Church and State’ Over New Ten Commandments Law – Here’s a History Lesson for Them

By Michael Schwarz – June 21, 2024

Rarely have seven innocuous words, misinterpreted and then amplified, caused so much mischief.
On Wednesday, Republican Gov. Jeff Landry of Louisiana ignited leftist outrage by signing a bill that requires all the state’s public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments.
Predictably, opponents of the bill cited a paraphrased version of a line that appeared in an 1802 letter written by President Thomas Jefferson: “wall of separation between church and state.”

As we shall see, the use of that “separation” phrase to attack Louisiana’s law amounts to an act of sophistry.

No doubt anticipating such objections, Louisiana earmarked no state money for the mandate’s implementation, relying instead on private funds.
Likewise, to affirm that the mandated display constitutes an acknowledgement of the Ten Commandments’ historical significance, not an endorsement of a particular religious creed, the law also requires a four-paragraph context statement tying the Ten Commandments to American foundational documents. READ MORE…

Minnesota Human Rights Act Openly Attacked Religious Freedom

In 2023, the legislature amended the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA) to add anti-discrimination protections for “gender identity” but failed to revise the corresponding religious exemption, effectively attempting to remove it.

This year, “gender identity” was added to a list of already protected categories of protections in the MHRA. “Sexual orientation” was already protected by the MHRA, but the term “gender identity” was added explicitly. A religious exemption that had already been in place since 1993 “prohibited the state from forcing religious organizations to comply with the anti-discrimination law provisions with respect to protected categories like sexual orientation when those provisions are inconsistent with a religious organization’s sincerely held beliefs,” said Renee Carlson, general counsel for True North Legal. However, the religious exemption was not updated to include the term “gender identity.”

“While we had hoped it was an oversight, the House Judiciary Chair stated on the record that the omission of those words was intentional,” Carlson said. “A discussion ensued during the committee where Democratic legislators not only refused to accept an amendment to protect religious organizations, but also called the amendment to protect religious organizations ‘disturbing’ and ‘disgusting’ after hearing a testimony from a diverse group of testifiers.”

By openly failing to include “gender identity” in the previously established religious exemption, the Minnesota legislation openly attacked religious freedom, but the attack does not stop there. Churches and religious institutions would be directly impacted by this exemption, but so would many unprotected groups served by religious organizations.

“A threat to religious organizations extends well beyond the churches and ministries that the statute protects. Religious organizations often serve marginalized and underserved communities, such as victims of sex trafficking, homeless families, and youth through programs that help kids graduate high school and even go to college. These religious entities in Minnesota meet individual needs and fill gaps that the government could never achieve on its own. To be sure, this was an unprecedented attack on religion and people of faith, but also on the communities that they serve,” said Carlson.

The MHRA could even threaten the existence of some religious organizations whose mission and religious beliefs are inseparable, Carlson added. “For religious organizations and its members, every decision is inextricably bound up in the tenets of its faith tradition. Removing statutory protections for religious organizations from the Minnesota Human Rights Act threatened the existence of all religious entities whose missions are inseparable from their employment practices, catechisms, and governance.”

According to Jason Adkins, general counsel at Minnesota Catholic Conference, the religious exemption was put in place in 1993 and had functioned without any problems until the bill introducing “gender identity” protections. The religious exemption was never meant to compromise anti-discrimination law but was intended to protect the freedom of religious institutions.

“The clear religious exemption provides predictability to religious organizations, potential litigants, and others about the scope of the MHRA and the pluralism of values that it protects, including the autonomy of religious institutions on matters of sexual identity. Anti-discrimination provisions related to sexual orientation and gender identity made it into law in 1993 in part because religious groups did not oppose them due to the inclusion of the exemption. This clarification of law restores the gender identity exemption and ensures that the MHRA is not used as a sword against faith communities,” said Adkins.

After public backlash, both the Minnesota House and Senate voted unanimously to restore religious protections.

While the restoration of the exemption somewhat protects religious organizations, there are many members of religions working in fields not controlled by religious institutions. Christian workers, including teachers, lawyers, and doctors, fear the need to compromise their religious beliefs in order to do their jobs in a way that respects the MHRA. “Our big concern is that doctors may be punished for declining to provide treatments they believe are unethical or harmful. This is not a tenet of a specific religion, but of natural law and universal human rights,” said a medical doctor from the Association of American Physicians.

Despite the religious exemption being restored, legal battles to defend religious freedom are constantly raging in Minnesota. Still in effect are the new standards requiring state-licensed teachers to affirm students’ gender identities. After the MHRA tried to effectively remove the religious exemption, new amendments to the Minnesota constitution intending to attack religious institutions have been proposed.

Doug Seaton, a lawyer at Upper Midwest Law, emphasized the constant need for vigilance in an environment where religious liberty is always under attack. “We have to be constantly fighting these assaults in the dark and bringing them to the light. This attempt ended in success, but it is a lesson in how eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.”

Trump within striking distance of Biden in competitive blue-leaning state: poll

A Republican hasn’t carried Minnesota in a presidential election since President Richard Nixon’s 1972 landslide re-election, over a half-century ago. But a new poll in Minnesota shows a competitive race between President Biden and former President Trump in their 2024 election rematch.

The president stands at 45% support among likely voters in Minnesota, with Trump at 41% in a poll conducted June 3-5 for the Star Tribune, MPR News and KARE 11.

a new poll indicates Trump down only four points to Biden in longtime blue-leaning Minnesota

Democrat turned independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stood at 6% support in the survey, with 2% backing “someone else” if the election were held today.

Trump was narrowly edged in Minnesota in the 2016 election by 1.5 points by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But four years later, Biden carried the state by seven points as he defeated Trump and won the White House.

“We’re going to win this state,” Trump predicted last month in a speech as he headlined the state GOP’s annual Lincoln Reagan fundraising dinner in St. Paul, Minnesota’s capital city.

The poll pointed to a significant enthusiasm gap, with 63% of Trump supporters saying they were “very enthusiastic” about casting a ballot for their candidate, compared to 31% of voters backing the president.

Eight hundred registered voters in Minnesota were surveyed in the poll, with an overall sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

TRUMP SWING THROUGH BLUE BASTION PAYS OFF AS HE TAPS POLITICAL ATM

Seven crucial swing states that decided the 2020 election (Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which were narrowly won by Biden, and North Carolina, which Trump carried by a razor-thin margin) will likely once again in the 2024 rematch. But both campaigns see opportunities to expand the map.

At a closed-door Republican National Committee retreat for top-dollar donors earlier this spring at a resort in Palm Beach, Florida, senior Trump campaign advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita and veteran pollster Tony Fabrizio spotlighted internal surveys that suggested both “Minnesota & Virginia are clearly in play.”

“In both states, Donald Trump finds himself in positions to flip key electoral votes in his favor,” the survey, which was shared with Fox News, emphasizes.

And both states have sizable populations of rural White voters without college degrees who disproportionately support the former president.

Biden’s campaign disagrees that either Minnesota or Virginia are up for grabs.

While noting that they are “not taking any state or any vote for granted,” Biden campaign battleground states director Dan Kanninen told reporters last month that “we don’t see polls that are six or seven months out from a general election, head-to-head numbers certainly, as any more predictive than a weather report is six or seven months out.”

Kanninen highlighted that the campaign has teams on the ground in both states engaging voters.

WHAT THE LATEST FOX NEWS BIDEN-TRJMP POLL IN VIRGINIA SHOWS

“We feel strongly the Biden-Harris coalition in both Minnesota and Virginia, which has been strong in the midterms and off-year elections, will continue to be strong for us in the fall of 2024,” he added.

And Biden campaign spokesperson Lauren Hitt, pointing to the president’s current fundraising dominance and ground-game advantage in the key battlegrounds, argued that “Trump’s team has so little campaign or infrastructure to speak of they’re resorting to leaking memos that say ‘the polls we paid for show us winning.'”

But the latest Fox News poll in Virginia indicated Biden and Trump are deadlocked in Virginia.

(Fox News)

The survey, conducted June 1-4, showed the Democratic president and his Republican predecessor in the White House each with 48% support in a head-to-head match.

In a multi-candidate race, Biden stands at 42% and Trump at 41%, with Democrat-turned-independent Kennedy at 9% and Green Party candidate Jill Stein and independent Cornel West each at 2%.

It’s been two decades since a Republican carried Virginia in the race for the White House. You have to go back to President George W. Bush, who won the commonwealth in his 2004 re-election victory.

“Let’s just begin by remembering where we were in 2020 when Joe Biden won Virginia by 10 points, and the fact that we’re having this discussion is a huge turn of events,” Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said last week in a Fox News Digital interview in New Orleans, as he attended a Republican Governors Association (RGA) conference.

Youngkin emphasized that “we’re here in June and there’s still a lot of water to go under the bridge, but Virginia looks like it’s in play and that’s pretty exciting.”

New flag set to fly across Minnesota

Republican legislators on the State Emblems Redesign Commission say they will author a minority report criticizing the process for being too short and not including enough public input.

Thirteen residents of Minnesota appointed to redesign the state’s flag voted to approve a final rendition on Tuesday of what is likely to begin flying across the state in May. But even as they did, two Republican legislators who sit on the committee as non-voting members said they plan to issue a minority report that reflects their opinion that the process was rushed and did not include enough public input.

The State Emblems Redesign Commission made a relatively significant modification to the submission they chose last week from among three finalists. That winning submission was designed by Andrew Prekker, a 24-year-old designer from Luverne, Minn. Prekker is a recent alumnus of Minnesota West Community and Technical College, the same school in Worthington where commission vice chair Anita Gaul (a former DFL candidate for state senate) is an instructor. The entire story lacks credulity and is like something from a Law and Order sketch. READ MORE…

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Six inches higher’: Ramsey County deputy opens up after narrowly escaping death

By Liz Collin

Days after saying a final goodbye to three fallen brothers in Burnsville, bullets from a long rifle came within inches of killing Deputy Joe Kill.

With thousands of people watching Live on Patrol on a Friday night last month, Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher raced to help one of his deputies in a chase, one that ended minutes later in a St. Paul neighborhood, with the sheriff briefly struggling to fill in the blanks through his emotion. READ MORE…

Kamala Harris makes celebratory visit to Minnesota abortion clinic

By Mary Margaret Olohan – March 14, 2024

(The Daily Signal) — Vice President Kamala Harris spent Thursday afternoon visiting a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Minnesota.

The visit, which makes her the first vice president to do so, is intended to demonstrate President Joe Biden’s administration’s dedication to promoting abortion in the post-Roe v. Wade era. The visit is a historic first. While a celebratory visit to an abortion clinic once would have been considered horrifying, tactless, and gruesome, Harris used her Thursday tour to claim there is a “health crisis” in the post-Roe v. Wade United States — since it’s now harder in a number of states for women to abort their unborn babies. READ MORE…

It’s great to be a Democrat when Trump affiliates see prison time, but Democrats rarely do for even worse crimes. Peter Navarro is sentenced to prison for refusing a subpoena from a phony kangaroo court, but Democrats like Hunter Biden, Eric Holder, and others get nothing. There is absolutely a two-tier justice system in this country now.

Fox News Anchor Cuts Away From Peter Navarro’s Speech Outside of Prison to do a ‘Fact Check’ (VIDEO)

Please consider contributing to Peter Navarro’s GiveSendGo to help with his legal defense fund. Trump aide Dr. Peter Navarro on Tuesday delivered remarks before he reported to prison for his 4-month sentence. Navarro is the first high-ranking Trump aide to be imprisoned by the Biden Regime.

Fox News anchor Sandra Smith cut away from Navarro’s speech outside of prison to do a fact check. When I walk in that prison today, the justice system, such as it is, will have done a crippling blow to the constitutional separation of powers and executive privilege,” Navarro said. Sandra Smith interrupted Navarro’s speech to ‘clarify’ that Navarro has been convicted. READ MORE…

A.F. One of Minnesota’s fastest growing high school sports is in danger of becoming too expensive for its athletes if a bill circulating in the state House and Senate comes to pass.  That’s according to organizers for the USA Clay Target League who say a proposal sponsored by a handful of DFL legislators that would ban lead-based ammunition would “more than double” the costs of ammunition for trap shooting athletes and result in many no longer being able to afford the sport. READ MORE

LAWFARE: Trump Posts $91.6 Million Bond to Appeal E. Jean Carroll Defamation Judgment

By Cristina Laila – March , 2024

President Trump on Friday posted a $91.6 million bond as he appeals the E. Jean Carroll judgment. The money will be returned to Trump if he wins his appeal.  Judge Lewis Kaplan, a Clinton appointee on Thursday denied Trump’s second request to delay paying Carroll.

In January, a 9-person jury ordered Trump to pay a total of $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll for statements he made defending himself against false rape accusations. The Trump team argued that the evidence Carroll deleted proves that she was receiving threats before President Trump ever commented on her allegations. Judge Kaplan defended Carroll and said Trump offered no evidence that he ever attempted to recover the deleted messages. READ MORE…

Nearly 1 In 5 Minnesota Democrats Voted ‘Uncommitted’ To Protest Biden

voting sign at Minnesota polling place

President Joe Biden won most of the delegates up for grabs in the Democrat presidential primaries on Super Tuesday, but the sizable number of votes cast against him in favor of an “uncommitted” option confirm how much sway the loudest, most radical wings of the party have.

Anti-Israel Democrats launched a campaign to vote “uncommitted” or “no preference” (casting a vote for no candidate) out of frustration that Biden’s position toward Israel is insufficiently supportive of Hamas-run Gaza. After gaining traction in Michigan last week, the protest vote — which seeks to use “uncommitted” Democrat votes to call for Biden to oppose Israel’s military response following the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks — won close to 19 percent of Democrat primary voters in Minnesota and 12.7 percent in North Carolina, according to the Associated Press. The campaign pulled single-digit percentages of voters in states including Alabama, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Tennessee.

“Democrats are really frustrated,” said Jaylani Hussein, co-chair of Uncommitted Vote Minnesota, on ABC News. “Now it’s starting to cost him immensely.”

“The policy of this war is untenable and it will have consequences, not only for down-ballots but hopefully also in the upcoming election,” he added. “We understand the consequences of leaving the party that we voted for, or the president that we voted for.”

Groups like Abandon Biden, formed by Muslim Americans calling Israel’s response against Hamas a “genocide,” and Our Revolution, which sprung up from Bernie Sanders’ failed 2016 presidential campaign, are supporting the effort. Last Tuesday, “uncommitted” won more than 13 percent of Michigan Democrats.

“The ‘Vote Uncommitted’ movement is growing, and voters continue to make themselves heard,” Our Revolution Director Joseph Geevarghese wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, Tuesday. “There is no unconditional support for President Biden, not without an unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.”

The Democratic Socialists of America endorsed the “uncommitted” effort March 3. The group is planning phone banks in support and posted Tuesday night that they have “big pushes coming up in WA, WI and beyond.”

Vice President Kamala Harris called for a ceasefire Sunday, but this was apparently not enough to win over the anti-Israel groups. Meanwhile Democrat and known antisemite Rep. Ilhan Omar, who represents Minnesota where the movement gained the most, has been attacking Biden’s policy on the conflict.

Biden’s unpopularity Super Tuesday went even beyond the mainland. He lost the primary in American Samoa to self-described entrepreneur Jason Palmer, who won with 56 percent, according to CNN

“We are not supporting Donald Trump,” Hussein said. “As far as the consequences of having President Trump, that’s a reality that we’re willing to accept.”

Democrats advance two gun control bills in Minnesota House.

Democrats in the Minnesota House of Representatives advanced two gun control bills on Thursday that have Republicans, gun groups, and private citizens concerned.

HF 4300, authored by Rep. Jamie Becker-Finn, D-Roseville, would set new laws for how firearms must be stored. Under the proposed law, gun owners must either leave their firearms unloaded with a locking device, or store their firearms in a legitimate “firearm storage unit” such as a safe. Citizens who fail to do so will face legal consequences ranging from misdemeanors to felonies, depending on the offense. READ MORE…

MUST SEE: The Democrats’ Nine Step Plan to Gaslight America and Blame Donald Trump for Joe Biden’s Border Crisis

By Jim Hoft, Feb 8th, 2024

Western Lensman: The Democrat election playbook explained a nine step plan to blame Donald Trump for the border crisis.

Step one, flood the country for three years with millions of illegal aliens.
Step two, watch approval numbers on the border drop below 20%.
Step three, election year is here. Decide you need to act now that you’ve let millions of illegals into the country and the American people are pissed.
Step four, line up some rhinos in the Senate to assist with the next phase of the plan.
Step five, work with the RINOs on a bipartisan basis to devise a garbage piece of legislation that would make the crisis considerably worse. REED MORE…
