Amid Rising Racial Tension, Principal Fired for Requiring Students to Speak English

Back in December, in Hempstead, Texas, at the heavily Hispanic-populated Hempstead Middle School, Principal Amy Lacey grew what is referred to in casual circles as “a pair” and announced over the intercom that all students were thenceforth to abstain from speaking Spanish in the classrooms, thus discriminating her way into my heart.

Some students complained that Spanish is their first language, as if that had any relevance at all. If they can complain in English, which they did, then they can certainly speak in English. The Hispanic students and the white social-justice activists on the Internet called it racist. Was it? Maybe. But try telling these people that the schools in France ought not to be French-speaking, that the schools in Mexico ought not to be Spanish-speaking, and that the schools in Japan ought not to be anime-speaking, and see how different a reaction you’ll get.

In classic leftist fashion, an actual investigation was launched into the matter and the principal was booted out of the school on paid suspension until her presumed guilt was determined accurate.

Now, months later, a final decision has been made and Miss Lacey’s contract will not be renewed. She is officially fired. If she had planted bombs at the Pentagon rather than telling kids to speak English, she’d have been promoted instead.

There are no pictures of Miss Lacey that I can find, so I don’t know what race she is, but the whole thing reminds me of this study published last week that found that the more integrated we become as a society–the more racially diverse, in other words–the more hostile to other races we become. Specifically white attitudes toward non-whites.

The Northwestern University study presented members of different races with information on the changing demographics in America, like, for example, the fact that by the year 2042, white people will no longer be the majority in America and will be demoted to having only a plurality. Today’s minorities, on the other hand, will be what is ridiculously called “majority-minorities”–because even when they’re the majority, they apparently still will not want to let go of that exalted minority label.

When presented with this and other facts, whites in particular “preferred interactions/settings with their own ethnic group over minority ethnic groups; expressed more negative attitudes toward Latinos, Blacks [sic], and Asian Americans; and expressed more automatic pro-White [sic] /anti-minority bias.” The reason whites reacted more negatively to the shifting-demographics information is because whites are the ones being negatively impacted by it. Hostility toward those who are displacing you is merely your instinct of self-preservation kicking into gear after much suppression by a leftist society.

The study concluded that “rather than ushering in a more tolerant future, the increasing diversity of the nation may instead yield intergroup hostility.”

The study also concluded that touching a hot stove will burn your hand. One could have figured out their conclusion just by looking at post-apartheid South Africa. Or France or England or Sweden. Heck, just look at the animal kingdom. Self-segregation is the natural world’s preferred social state; why should it be any different for humans? We like those who are like us.

In the case of Principle Lacey and her declaration of a Spanish-language ban, I suppose it could be seen as racial hostility. But Hempstead Middle School is just one case. Even if it wasn’t racially motivated, we will still witness a rise in animus between the races. When majorities become minorities, the majorities feel like their heritage is being threatened. This feeling is valid and completely natural. God put that in the DNA of all living things for a reason.

It’s especially reasonable to feel this way when one considers that the people we’re being displaced by hate us, complain about this country in which we’ve allowed them sanctuary, expect us to adapt to the cultures of their origin countries, and commit brutal crimes against us daily.

But other than that, no, why should we feel threatened by them?

Democracy… Temporary?

Joe the Plumber Banner

It’s a sad state of affairs in our country.

Check it out:

About the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

* From bondage to spiritual faith;

* From spiritual faith to great courage;

* From courage to liberty;

* From liberty to abundance;

* From abundance to complacency;

* From complacency to apathy;

* From apathy to dependence;

* From dependence back into bondage.

We’re clearly in the “apathy” stage, possibly as advanced as the “dependence” stage. Damn, I hate it when history repeats itself.

Middle School Girls Forced to Ask Classmates for ‘Lesbian Kiss’ During Anti-Bullying Presentation

http://christiannews.net/2013/04/20/middle-school-girls-forced-to-ask-classmates-for-lesbian-kiss-during-anti-bullying-presentation/

April 20, 2013 | Filed under:  | By:

Red Hook, New York – A recent anti-bullying presentation at a middle school in New York that focused on homosexuality and gender identity has angered parents after their daughters have come home to tell them they were forced to ask another girl for a kiss.

According to reports, the session occurred last week at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, New York, near Poughkeepsie. A group of students from Bard College led two workshops for the youth, separated by gender.

During the workshop for girls, the 13 and 14-year-olds were told to ask one another for a kiss. They were also taught words such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”

Parent Mandy Coon told reporters that her daughter was very uncomfortable with the exercise.

“She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough; now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” she lamented. “They also picked two girls to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date.”

Coon stated that she was especially irate over the matter because parents were given no warning about the presentations, nor an opportunity to opt out. She is also dismayed that college students were granted the right to come into the classroom and encourage her daughter to be sexually active.

“I am furious,” she declared. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”

“The school is overstepping its bounds in not notifying parents first and giving us the choice,” another parent remarked. “I thought it was very inappropriate. That kind of instruction is best left up to the parents.”

According to reports, during the workshop for the adolescent boys, the students were counseled to keep a condom in their pocket at all times, and were taught how to identify a woman who is a “slut.”

“I was absolutely furious – really furious,” an anonymous parent told reporter Todd Starnes. “These are just kids. I’m dumbfounded that they found this class was appropriate.”

However, both the school principal and the district superintendent are defending the workshops, and are advising that they will schedule more. Superintendent Paul Finch told The Poughkeepsie Journal that the presentation was “focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.”

“[We] may require more notification to parents” in the future, he said, contending that the sessions are required under the state Dignity for All Students Act, which prohibits harassment and bullying in the classroom.

He advised that Principal Katie Zahedi and guidance counselors at the school worked with Bard students to plan the workshops. Likewise, Mark Primoff, a spokesman for Bard College, said that students had volunteered to give the presentation after the school invited the institution of higher learning to participate in the workshops.

Zahedi asserts that the sessions were rather about saying no to unwanted advances as opposed to encouraging homosexual acts.

“In planning the discussion, we made it clear that absolutely no discussion of any sexual acts is appropriate to middle school, and they used the examples of a kiss,” she wrote in an online forum for parents. “It was a separate activity for boys and girls and ultimately about respect and safety.”

However, parents remain livid over the matter. A public meeting was held this week for residents to express their concerns.

It is not known whether girls actually had to kiss one another, or if the exercise stopped at the request.

Government Schools: Children Are the Path to Successful Tyranny

A Christian people, by virtue of their understanding of God’s creation, their knowledge of history, their comprehension of the divine origin of law, and their assurance of heavenly citizenship, will never suffer earthly leaders who do not speak and act lawfully. A Christian people would not be so foolish as to allow those who mock law and justice to lead them.

(PLEASE take the time to see this presentation and PLEASE share it with other patriots. MrB)

PAth to Tyranny

In order, therefore, to subjugate and enslave a Christian people, you must first de-Christianize them. You must remove, from the culture, that which prevents you from conquering them. Piece by piece, Christian beliefs must be removed, along with the memory of those beliefs, from the minds of the people. This will take time.

You must concentrate on the children. You must take them away from their parents and every day, day by day, indoctrinate them to reject and forget the Christian ideas and habits of their fathers and their mothers, their grandfathers and their grandmothers. This is precisely what government schools were designed to do. This is what they have done and continue to do.

Once the people are de-Christianized, you can take away their rights. You can take away their property. You can take away their weapons. You can tell them lies that they will believe. You can kill them . . . or let them live, if it suits you.

School recommends pornography for reading assignment

Posted  by on Jan 10, 2014; http://joeforamerica.com/2014/01/school-recommends-pornography-for-reading-assignment/#kOdTCC0fKygwVbJw.99

Thanks to a few attentive parents, we know that at least two Common Core Text ExemplarsThe Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison and Dreaming in Cuban by Christina Garcia, contain pornography and vulgar language.

For details on these books, go here and here.

Dutchtown High School in the Ascension Parish School District of Louisiana  recommended both The Bluest Eyeand Dreaming in Cuban to students in 2012 as part of a required summer reading assignment. In addition to these two books, several others on the school’s summer reading list contain sexually explicit material, sexual themes, graphic violence, and profanity. Some of them recommended reading, some required.

dutchtown high school

As shown in the screen shot above, 11th grade English III AP students were required to read Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. This book was previously banned for offensive language and sexually explicit content.

Another required text from the Dutchtown High School list is Thomas C. Foster’s How to Read Literature Like a Professor.  Sounds harmless enough (and boring), right? Hardly.

In this book, Foster jumps immediately into race baiting his readers, in the Introduction no less, by comparing white people to the devil.

Many pages, including a chapter titled It’s All About Sex, are dedicated to “finding the sexual component in literature”. Readers are taught to look for sex in everything — such as identifying lances, swords, guns and keys as phallic symbols and chalices, grails and bowls as symbols of female sexual organs.

Unfortunately, CCSSO and the Obama administration have cunningly managed to evade accountability for The Bluest Eye and Dreaming in Cuban by way of liability waivers and by labeling these trash texts as ‘recommended’ and the standards as ‘voluntary’ and ‘state-led’.

States and districts, however, can and should be made accountable for this obvious attack on our children and on parental authority.

As explained here, at the heart of the Common Core State Standards is a political and social agenda. These standards are a means to further infiltrate and then take over schools for the purpose of indoctrinating and controlling our children, a vital step in an attempt to decimate the social and moral fabric of our country.

Ascension Parish has long been a politically conservative district boasting some of the highest performing schools in the State of Louisiana. The district recently ranked 7th out of 70 in the state. Today, however, it appears to be the district most enthusiastic to embrace the morally corrupt agenda of the Common Core State Standards.

Department Of Justice’s Message To Schools: Singling Out Black Students For Poor Behavior Is “Racist”

Eric Holder

education

5250444957_race_card_eric_holder1The Obama Administration’s singular accomplishment, besides igniting the vile flames of Islam both at home and abroad, is stoking perceived “racial tension.” For it was the Department of Justice that deliberately got involved in the George Zimmerman case, in order to make an example of him. What was the aim? To fan the flames of racial discord and create perceived tyranny for blacks at the hands of whites.  In the process, they also wanted to go after guns “stand your ground” laws. The Obama Administration does not do anything without a motive. In perpetual race baiting, they can control the masses. Thus, the Department of Justice inserts itself in perceived “racial disparity” in schools, creating yet another mythical lie that blacks are unfairly singled out in schools for no reason other than race.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the recommendations were meant to protect the civil rights of students, and disrupt the so-called “school-to-prison pipeline.” Civil rights advocates have long said that overly zealous school discipline policies target black and Hispanic students, pulling them out of schools and into the court system.

“Each year, significant numbers of students miss class due to suspensions and expulsions – even for minor infractions of school rules – and students of color and with disabilities are disproportionately impacted,” the Justice Department said in a news release. “The guidance package provides resources for creating safe and positive school climates, which are essential for boosting student academic success and closing achievement gaps.”

In other words, schools should stop punishing minority students for disciplinary infractions. If a student disobeys school rules, he or she should be punished in the appropriate manner, regardless of skin color. Only Obama’s Department of Justice would dare imply that it is “racist” to punish students of color for general infractions.

The problem? Not all races are equally likely to misbehave at school. Boys, for instance, get into trouble much more frequently than girls. And black, Hispanic and Native American children — who are far more likely to grow up in single-parent households — have higher misbehavior rates than white and Asian students, according to Roger Clegg of National Review.

So ifselling-race-bait-ii-_web-r-320x240 a black male student curses in class, or refuses to do what a teacher asks, the teacher will first have to consider the race of the student before issuing discipline; or not disciplining, if the behavior is menial. However, if a white male student does the same thing, the teacher should crack down on him to even the playing field. This is grotesque, and it will only help to ruin an already failing education system.

The public school system is already ruined by the horror that is Common Core. This just adds more absurd, racial policies that will limit a teacher’s potential to teach, and will negatively impact students that are well-behaved. The term “well-behaved” can apply to all races, unless the Department of Justice has deemed this a racially charged statement, one implying white privilege. But the goal here is to protect minority student’s “civil rights” and the “school-to-prison pipeline.”

Effective discipline is, and always will be, a necessity. But a routine school discipline infraction should land a student in a principal’s office – not in a police precinct,” Holder said.

Holder said many students were suspended, expelled or arrested for minor infractions such as school uniform violations, schoolyard fights or laughing in class.

School yard fights are not usually minor infractions. They can cause serious harm to students and faculty, but in this case, if a black student instigates a fight or disrupts class, the teacher should just let it go. This is unfair targeting. Of course, school rules are uniform, but this makes it to where schools MUST discipline proportionately, or face Department of Justice charges.

“You have to make certain that your school discipline cases match those percentages. If you don’t, you’ll have the feds on your doorstep,” said Joshua Dunn, a political science professor at the University of Colorado and director of the university’s Center for Legal Studies. “If they actually do enforce these guidelines, there will be unintended consequences. This creates some rather destructive incentives. I don’t think there’s any way around that.”

Eventually, you’ll have disorder in schools. … They either suspend white students for relatively trivial things or they don’t punish black students for behavior that is really disruptive or even violent,” said Hans Bader, a senior attorney at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. “You’re effectively commanding them to have racial quotas” with respect to which students are disciplined and how often.

The Obama tyranny is never ending. In these outrageous rules, the Department of Justice is creating more situations where schools can be targeted for “racial disparity.” This is just further proof that racial thuggery starts at the top, and it is systematically destroying the United States.

Teacher’s 3rd grade lesson presents messianic view of Obama – literally

Posted  by on Nov 26, 2013 in

http://joeforamerica.com/2013/11/teachers-3rd-grade-lesson-presents-messianic-view-obama-literally/#V7kbgKZZ1YFeORUu.99

And – surprise – it’s Common Core-aligned.

The lesson plan and accompanying visual presentation were authored by Sherece  Bennett, and is for sale onTeachersPayTeachers.com. It’s all based on  a book titled, “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope,” by Nikki  Grimes.

The book is read aloud in the video below.

In one passage, a young Obama sees beggars and wonders, “Will I ever be able  to help people like these?”

“Hope hung deep inside of him,” the book adds.

Another excerpt from the book reads: “Before dawn each morning, Barry rose – his mother’s voice driving him from dream land. ‘Time for learning English  grammar and the Golden Rule. Be honest, be kind, be fair,’ she taught him.”

The story continues: “One morning, he slipped on the name he’d been born  with. The name of his father, Barack. For the first time in his life, he wore it  proudly – like a coat of many colors.”

Uh oh – another Obama-inspired Biblical reference in a government school! But  there’s no controversy here. Leftists will use God and the Bible, in instances  such as these, when it appropriately fits their propaganda purposes.

messianicNo story about Barack Obama would be complete  without mentioning his work as a community organizer. The book describes those  days in dramatic fashion:

“The work was grueling, with stretches of failure, and puny patches of  success. Door-to-door Barack went, early mornings, late nights, pleading and  preaching, coaxing strangers to march together, to make life better for  everyone.

“He worked as hard as a farmer, planting the words ‘Yes, we can!’ like seeds  in spring.

“Impatient, Barack kept wondering if those seeds would ever sprout. He  worried that the hope in him would fade away.”

This mythical interpretation of Obama was the #1 New York Times bestselling  picture-book biography of Obama, according to Amazon.com.

Bennett’s lesson calls for students as young as third grade to read Grimes’ book and do a number of activities, including making a collage of Obama:

“Have students bring in magazines and photos of President Obama. Have  students create a collage about Barack Obama based on the information from the  text. The collage should represent pictures and words about Barack Obama.”

Grimes’ book and Bennett’s lesson plan are more fitting for an authoritarian  regime in which children are taught to deify and praise their dear leader.  One can almost envision teachers in Cuba, Venezuela and Iran using similar books  and lessons.

Thankfully, that’s not the American way, which makes these learning materials  completely unsuitable for our classrooms.

Still, given the large number of activist teachers in the U.S., there’s a  very real possibility this is the version of Barack Obama’s history many of our  young students are learning in a school near you.

Homeless Mom Sent to Jail for Sending Her Kid to a Good School

http://eaglerising.com/2794/homeless-mom-sent-jail-sending-kid-good-school/#UcCtJj0vlJ5Q3BO2.99

By

As a parent of three wonderful children, one of my greatest concerns is making sure that they are educated well. I want my children to enjoy the best education that I can afford to give them, and the most opportunities that might come along with that education. It’s not just me, either. Every parent I know and have had this discussion with says the same thing – they want to make sure their children get the best education they can possibly get.

Many of us take that idea for granted.

Many of us live in suburban areas where good schools (or at least acceptable schools) are the norm. Many of us have the means to ensure that our children can attend a school that is doing its job to educate, while also keeping our children as safe as possible. Many of us have the ability to find an alternate solution to our kid’s school if we have to.

Some parents do not have these blessings.

Some parents are forced to send their children to failing schools with dangerous problems.

Parents like Tonya McDowell. The 34-year-old, who was homeless when she was charged with felony larceny last year, said she wanted the best education possible for the boy.

Ms. McDowell is no saint. She was also convicted of selling drugs and has had other run-ins with the law, but that’s not really the point, is it?

momschoolMs. McDowell will now spend the next five years in prison for “stealing” about $15K in “free” services from the city of Norwalk, CT. How one steals “free” services is still up for debate. What is not up for debate is the ridiculous punishment for attempting to get her child the best education she could. All over the United States millions of children of illegal aliens are provided with a free education every day, and none of their parents face prison.

Ms. McDowell and her son were homeless at the time of her arrest, but her last address had been in Bridgeport, CT. Authorities say she fraudulently listed the home of her child’s sitter as her own to enroll her son in the Norwalk, CT elementary school that he attended. Ms. McDowell says that she was living in Norwalk on a part-time basis because they were using the town’s homeless shelter as a residence.

Stories like this one are where the liberal’s cries of “fighting poverty” fall short. As conservatives we advocate for school choice, which would allow poor families like Ms. McDowell’s to enroll in the best schools they can find access to. Liberals fight to keep these families in failing schools, which simply perpetuates the cycle of poverty. Why are liberals so against giving the poor a way out of poverty? It’s simply disgusting.

No matter the reason, the prosecution of Ms. McDowell for trying to give her son a better education is a complete miscarriage of justice and a waste of taxpayer dollars. The good people of Connecticut likely spent more prosecuting her for her “crime” than they did in educating her son. Now her son will be without his mom for at least the next five years, all because she wanted him to have a chance to get out of poverty.

Give the poor hope – give them school choice!

ISLAM, PUBLIC SCHOOL AND YOUR KID: The Aggressive Islamic Indoctrination of American Schools

http://clashdaily.com/2013/10/islam-public-school-kid-aggressive-islamic-indoctrination-american-schools/#fgshFwrV0M03BIgQ.99

By

The level of influence that Islam has achieved over the education system and the minds of young Americans is quite startling. Below is an account of how serious the ‘infection’ is…..

The American public school system is notorious for spending lots of money on each student, failing to produce well-educated kids, and along the way, coming up with lots of really bad ideas about education.  One of the worst ideas is inviting Muslim indoctrination into the schools in the interest of multicultural “tolerance” and “awareness.”

Religious studies are generally unwelcome in public schools, with the exception of the study of Islam.  Perhaps there are people in the education system who think that a broader understanding of Islam will make it easier to understand barbaric acts of mass murder, such as we saw on September 11, 2001.  But there is another more likely goal:  making all religions morally equivalent, so that no specific religion is considered superior to any other.

The word “Islam” means “submission”.  All Mohammedans are commended to wage war against the unbelievers until they submit to Islam and the entire world becomes Islamic.*

The U.S. is at war with Islamic terrorists who are willing to fight to the death to destroy the American way of life.  It is obvious (to most people) that homicidal maniacs and their enablers should not be teaching classes in American schools.

New York schools may close for Muslim holidays.

Schools in New York, the biggest city in the U.S., might be about to implement shutdowns on certain Muslim holy days, as both mayoral candidates running for City Hall have said they support such a move.  A report in the New York Daily News says that Bill de Blasio, the Democrat, and Joe Lhota, his Republican opponent, believe both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha should be added to the holiday calendar along with other major religious observations, including Christmas, Good Friday and Rosh Hashanah.

Tennessee high school students visit mosque, get Qur’an — not visiting church or synagogue.

The public school officials behind this reveal by their choices of visits that the real agenda here is to make these Tennessee students “accepting of the other,” because that is the whole problem of jihad terrorism, doncha know — if Americans were more accepting of Muslims and Islam, jihad terror would be a thing of the past.  There are so many initiatives like this, such as the Arkansas school that planned to feature a Muslim speaker on September 11, that it is hard to escape the conclusion that they really believe this nonsense.

Students Take Field Trip to Mosque, Receive Koran.

A Tennessee high school has decided to revise its field trip policy after a group of freshmen were taken to an Islamic mosque where they were given copies of the Koran and while a student who opted out of the trip was given a worksheet that alleged Muslims treated their conquered people better than the United States treated minorities.  The students were in an honors world studies class at Hendersonville High School and the field trips to the mosque as well as a Hindu temple were part of a three-week course on world religions.  But some parents objected to the trips and wondered why the school would tour a mosque but not a Christian church or a Jewish synagogue.

Pledge of Allegiance skipped, Muslim poem read at Boston school on 9/11.

The principal of Concord Carlisle High School in Boston issued an apology Wednesday after a Muslim poem was recited over the intercom on the 12th anniversary of 9/11, and the Pledge of Allegiance was not.  According to principal Peter Badalament, a “small number” of people were outraged at the poem, which was meant to promote “cross-cultural understanding,” Boston.com reported.  Apparently, the Pledge of Allegiance was not read because of some confusion.

Bulletin board at Wichita school showing Five Pillars of Islam removed.

A bulletin board at a Wichita elementary school that illustrated the Five Pillars of Islam has been removed “because of the misunderstanding that has been promoted by … one photograph,” district officials said Monday [8/19/2013].  The bulletin board at Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet Elementary was intended to aid students’ study of major religions of the world, district spokeswoman Susan Arensman said in an e-mail.  It featured five white, construction-paper columns and the words, “The Five Pillars of Islam.”

Kansas public school promotes 5 Pillars of Islam.

The display was reportedly part of a religion component being taught at Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet School, a school district spokesperson told Fox News’ Todd Starnes.  “The bulletin board that originally caused the concern does represent the 5 Pillars of Islam — in a historical context of their studies,” the spokesperson said.

School Defends Textbook Calling Muhammad “God’s Messenger”.

School officials in Florida are defending a textbook that declares Muhammad as the “Messenger of God” after critics accused an Islamic education group of launching a stealth jihad in American public school classrooms.  The Prentice World History textbook being used in Brevard Public Schools includes a 36-page chapter on Islam but no chapters on Christianity or Judaism.

Hannity on Islam

Tucson schools to take $465,000 from Arab charity with Muslim Brotherhood ties.

Last week, the governing board of the Tucson Unified School District asked the school board to accept a $465,000 curriculum grant from the Qatar Foundation International, a global philanthropic organization with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of the terrorist group Hamas.  The grant money is intended to implement “innovative curricula and teaching materials to be used in any Arabic language classroom,” reports the Arizona Daily Independent.

Islamic Supremacist Nominated as UC Student Regent.

A UC Berkeley senior who is a venomous supporter of the jihad against Israel and member of several Islamic supremacist groups with links to jihad terror has been nominated to become the University of California student regent for the 2014-15 academic year.  The student regent participates in a board that sets policies for the entire University of California system, which consists of ten campuses throughout the state.  Sadia Saifuddin is expected to be confirmed as student regent by the full Board of Regents next month.

Islamizing the Public Schools.

The Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is pressuring public schools in this country to make special accommodations for Muslim students and to deny comparable accommodations for students of other faiths.  For example, CAIR’s instructional material for teachers entitled “An Educator’s Guide to Islamic Religious Practices” advises schools to permit Muslim students who wish to attend Friday congregational worship (known as Jum’ah) to “request a temporary release from school.”

Terrorists driven by low self-esteem, Florida high schoolers told.

It’s low self-esteem and the need for a “sense of belonging” that drives terrorists to join groups that kill in the name of religion, according to an online lesson plan for Florida high school students.  The world history course on “Invisible Warfare” — offered by the Florida Virtual School, the nation’s first statewide Internet-based public high school — begins by asking students “what comes to mind” when considering the concept of fundamentalism and then prompts them to think of the term in a religious context.  It later defines terrorism as the act of using fear or violence to accomplish certain political or religious goals.

Muslims in Maryland petition schools to close on Eid, like on Christmas, Yom Kippur.

Schools are usually closed on Easter Monday and Rosh Hashanah — why not Eid al-Fitr?  That’s the question Mimi Hassanein, a resident of Brinkow, Md., asks herself every time the Eids fall on a school day.  The two most important Islamic holidays — Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha — are traditionally spent praying and feasting with family and friends.  But Hassanein says that every year, her grandchildren and other Muslim youth in her school district are forced to choose between their religion and their grades.

Second university sounds alarm over segregation at Muslim student events.

Leicester University voiced concern after photographs emerged showing hand-written signs directing male and female students to sit in separate sections at a public talk on the existence of God organised by the university’s Islamic Society.

How Muslim proselytizing creeps into public schools.

The Loudoun County School Board is reaching the denouement of a multiyear deliberation about an application for a charter school that has strong ties to Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish Islamist.  His followers have already started some 135 American charter schools.  Their focus is to promote an increasingly Shariah-dominated Turkey.  Incredibly, the school board’s members are studiously avoiding any acknowledgment or discussion of the role of Fethullah Gulen and his movement in the charter school.

Texas Lawmakers Blast ‘Anti-American’, ‘Anti-Christian’ Curriculum.

Texas lawmakers are putting educators on the hot seat after public school curriculum surfaced that promoted Islam and socialism while deconstructing American values and patriotism.  School children were exposed to lessons that labeled the Boston Tea Party an act of terrorism.  They were also instructed to create flags for socialist and communist countries.  And they were also given in-depth lessons in the Islamic faith that included classroom readings from the Koran.

Schools push ‘Trayvon dialogues’ to vent ‘anger’

Board member: He ‘could have been any one of my 3 sons’

A public school district in San Diego, Calif., has voted unanimously to initiate “Trayvon Martin dialogues” among middle and high-school students so they can “speak honestly about their identification with Trayvon Martin’s story, including feelings of fear, anger and skepticism that they will live in a just society as they prepare for their future.”

On July 30, the San Diego Unified School District board voted 4-0 to “allow students to speak honestly about the worldview that prompted George Zimmerman to confront Trayvon Martin, and help students develop perspectives and strategies to channel their feelings about Trayvon Martin into positive work for themselves and the larger community.”

School-board member Richard Barrera, who the district describes as having “a background as a community organizer, working to revitalize low-income neighborhoods,” presented the resolution by explaining, “The Trayvon Martin case is something that is having a huge impact across the country and here in the San Diego community. And I know that it’s also an issue that’s particularly having an impact on young people.

“The feelings of young people that I’ve spoken to that have made their voice heard throughout our community are feelings of anger, of frustration, of a sense that is the society that young people grow up in and enter into, is it gonna be fair? And if people kinda play by the rules, do what they’re supposed to do, work hard, study hard with the intention of creating a decent future for themselves, is that future going to be realized in this society?”

In his statement, Barrera didn’t clarify whether he believed Trayvon Martin, too, had chosen to “play by the rules … work hard, study hard.”

As WND has reported, Twitter, Facebook, and toxicology tests established Trayvon’s long and enthusiastic acquaintance with marijuana and codeine. Also, the London Daily Mail ran a story about Trayvon’s suspensions from school three times for fighting, drug abuse and vandalism. The Miami Herald reported that Trayvon was found with women’s jewelry, including silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds. Trayvon was shot while on suspension from high school.

Barrera added, “[P]articularly young men of color [are] trying to get their heads around what happened in this situation. I think it’s important for us to open up the opportunity for young people to have dialogue with each other, but under the facilitation of professional educators.”

Another school board member, Marne Foster, declared, “Trayvon Martin could have been any one of my three sons as an unarmed, young African-American male traveling home.”

Foster said the resolution presents an “opportunity to have a real and a candid and an honest conversation about the state of America and what the world looks like for our young people and then having a vehicle to drive change.”

She said, “This … gives them a voice and the tools to constructively and safely engage the world around them, and more importantly to become that change agent that we so desperately need them to be,” adding “especially given in 2013, they are still living in a time reminiscent of Emmett Till.”

Till was a 14-year-old boy who was brutally beaten and killed in Mississippi in 1955 after he reportedly whistled at a white woman. Foster’s statement was reminiscent of Oprah Winfrey’s public comparison of Martin and Till. The TV talk host claimed the two cases are “the same thing.”

But TV host Glenn Beck called the comparison “unbelievably wrong.”

“These are two cases that … have nothing in common,” Beck said, explaining that George Zimmerman’s killing of Martin was ruled as self-defense, and Till was viciously murdered by racists.

Student Suspended For Asking That Class Be Taught In English

by

“Absurdity exists so that we may see what lies outside the bounds of normal human behavior. For without absurdity, we may never understand normality.”

Obama is still lying, John McCain is still spineless, and the Left is still trying their best to incite racial outrage. The world does not change—at least in terms of basic human behavior. In that vein, another thing that doesn’t change is absurdity.

In a story that pushes the boundaries of ridiculousness, an Arizona community college student has been suspended for filing a complaint about one of her classes. Terri Bennett complained that her class discussions were being dominated by Spanish language speaking. According to Town Hall:

In early April, the student, Terri Bennett, formally requested a rule limiting classroom discussion to English. Nursing program director David Kutzler allegedly responded by called her a ‘bigot and a bitch’…Kutzler allegedly charged that Bennett was ‘discriminating against Mexican-Americans’ and threatened to report her complaint as a violation of the school’s policies against discriminatory behavior and harassment.”

Let’s break this down:

1. The Arizona Constitution mandates that classrooms be taught in English. That alone makes Bennett’s suspension illegitimate.

2. Requesting that classroom discussions be in English is not bigoted. This is, in fact, America. Being that English is the language of this country, classes should be taught in English. It is up to those who don’t understand English to learn the language of the country in which they live. It is not Bennett’s problem to deal with.

3. Finally, suspending a student for such a request is deplorable. This is yet another example of the American education system bowing down to the gods of political correctness. It’s a sickness.

This story is so absurd that it could have been a satire. Political correctness is laying waste to our country–especially our educational system. It is a disease that eats away at the heart and soul of what it means to truly educate. Political correctness is a cancer that—If not stopped—will empty out our minds, leaving nothing but a hollow shell.

Terri Bennett’s community college scuffle is just the tip of the iceberg. Our PC culture has become a well organized machine, capable of killing us all, if we allow it.

This is a stunning example of modern American absurdity. This is not normal—or at least it shouldn’t be. Unfortunately, issues like this are becoming routine.

The American education system has failed. It’s time to start from scratch. We can begin by lifting up our heads, getting off our knees, and standing up in defiance of the politically correct state gods. We need to look them straight in the eyes, and declare war on the archaic American educational system.

If we don’t take a stand right now, political correctness will destroy us all.

He who will not work…

Posted by  http://joeforamerica.com/2013/07/he-who-will-not-work/

This past Sunday in church it was my turn to do the Bible readings on which the sermon text was based.  I love giving the readings because there are few things to equal the majesty of reading Scripture out loud. And it was an extra pleasure because the New Testament readings were one of my favorites: 2 Thessalonians 3: 6-10

“In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

This echoed an interesting post my friend Enola Gay recently had on her blog. Her grandfather sent her a piece called The Truth of the Welfare State, which expresses the frustration many of us feel:

Like most folks in this country, I have a job.  I work, they pay me.  I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.  In order to get that paycheck, in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don’t have to pass a urine test. So, here is my question:  Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.  I do, one the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their BUTT doing drugs or whatever they want while I work. Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could call the program “URINE OR YOU’RE OUT”!

This all reinforces the Great Divide in this country.  No, it’s not the Haves vs. the Have Nots.  It’s becoming the “Work” vs. the “Work Nots.”

Please note the Bible verse says “The one who is UNWILLING to work.”  Other versions say “shall not work” or “will not work.”  This differs greatly from CANNOT work.

People cannot work for a huge variety of reasons.  Some are too old.  Some are disabled.  Some are too young.  Some are single mothers (I distinguish between women who have been abandoned by their men versus women who crank out babies for profit).  And, especially in this economy, many are simply unable to find work, no matter how hard they try.

This greatly differs from those who WILL NOT work.

There are very few among us in this nation who are not willing to help those who are truly in need.  When we see people who are UNABLE to work, collectively there is a deep-seated instinct to help.  That’s one of the reasons I admire and support such organizations as the Union Gospel Mission, which takes people off the street and “teaches them to fish” rather than merely “giving” them fish (to paraphrase the old saying).  Charities such as this are privately run, efficient, and deserving of praise.

But just as there is a deep-seated instinct among us to help those in need, there is equally a deep-seated resentment among us to have our hard-earned money forcibly removed from our pockets and “redistributed” to those who, quite often, are UNWILING to work.

Giving money to those unwilling to work is cruel.  It destroys their incentive, ruins their work ethic, and supplies a false sense of entitlement.  It rips families apart (since the man is no longer necessary as the critical breadwinner).  It teaches children that age-old virtues are unnecessary.

In short, giving UN-earned money may well lead, directly or indirectly, to the destruction of our nation.  It’s a chain-reaction downward spiral, apparently encouraged by our government so it has a built-in cadre of dependent voters willing to keep the entitlements coming if only they vote in the same ol’ politicians.

I would dearly love my girls to inherit a nation worthy of them.  We are endeavoring to teach them that hard work, self-sufficiency (from government assistance), and independence are the tickets toward true freedoms.  But our government is burning these notions down around their ears.

The Summer of Our Discontent

We kicked kings, royal decrees and secret courts out of America long ago–or did we?

Now we have a President who decides which laws will be enforced and which citizens will be subject to those laws. Now, we have secret courts issuing rulings without public notice or argument. Now we have powerful federal agencies going after citizens who object.

In the imperial Presidency of Barack Obama, the government takeover of healthcare was enacted over the objections of a majority of citizens–even before repeated and solemn promises of no new taxes on the middle class were ruled false by the Supreme Court. And it gets worse.

Now the Administration has decreed that hundreds of billions of dollars in healthcare subsidies will be paid out in states that embrace ObamaCare–with no questions asked about eligibility. Neither income nor existing insurance coverage will be certified before taxpayer money is paid out. It is an open invitation to commit fraud.

In a similar announcement last week, big businesses, like four million citizens (most in pro-ObamaCare unions) are to receive one-year “waivers” by royal decree. There is no legal authority for this decision but that is not stopping him.

Even Congressional staffers and their bosses are now lobbying for their own exemptions. Why not? The committee staffers who wrote Obamacare exempted themselves along with Congressional leadership, the White House and Cabinet officers.

Gone is the very concept of the “Rule of Law” that holds that all citizens are equally subject to federal statutes enacted by representatives of the people. Gone is the concept that those who govern are subject to “consent of the governed”.

When past Presidents tried to seize unconstitutional power we relied on the judicial branch of government to assert the needed “checks and balances”. But this President is now simply ignoring two federal courts who have ruled illegal his appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.

Worse, secret courts are making rulings allowing spying on law-abiding citizens with no possible connection to international terrorism. King George had secret courts that rounded up suspects and condemned them without defense or public notice. It is why our Founding Fathers wrote the Fourth Amendment. And how can the governed give consent to such secret decisions? Until Mr. Snowden, they were unknown. .

Frustrated with a divided government and a divided people, Barack Obama has made war on those who disagree. Rogue IRS agents hardly explain how one citizen, Catherine Englebrecht (who started a group investigating voter fraud) found herself the subject of multiple FBI visits and surprise audits from a range of federal agencies, including the IRS. It is simply not believable that this abuse was not directed by powerful figures within this Administration–but the FBI has still not investigated.

His treatment of existing federal laws is equally contemptuous. Obama decreed that 1.5 million illegal immigrants are no longer subject to applicable federal statutes. Unwilling to fight for changes to the No Child Left Behind Act, Obama decided that the law could be ignored. Now, more than half the states have been granted waivers.

Welfare work rules? It was a monumentally successful policy reform embraced by both parties and strong majorities in both the House and Senate, representing widespread public belief that unrestricted welfare payments were actually increasing poverty and dependency. This President has decided that this law, like others, is optional, shifting the entire concept of the Rule of Law and the will of the people to his discretion. All hail the King.

This President has shown through his many actions that he believes that consent of the governed is an outmoded idea that can be ignored. Congress can be ignored. The courts can be ignored.  The Constitution that he is sworn to uphold and the Attorney General is sworn to enforce is optional.

We kicked royalty out of our country long ago but royal decrees are here again. Our great experiment in personal liberty is in danger of being erased from within.

Ken Hoagland is chairman of “Restore America’s Voice Foundation”. His group has delivered two million petitions and hundreds of thousands of phone calls to the House and Senate demanding a new Senate vote on ObamaCare that honestly describes both the taxes levied for the program and the performance promises that have proven false.

8 Vital Skills To Teach Your Children That Will Trump An Ivy League Education

A few weeks ago I was in a particularly depressed mood. That’s not the norm for me, but this time it was completely justified. I was pondering my children’s futures.

College prices have sky-rocketed, far surpassing wage increases. My daughter will be ready for college in five years. Will we be able to afford a college education for her or even pay a percentage of it?  And, if she does go to college, what will she major in that will provide a reliable career in a world whose future is increasingly unreliable?

Perhaps my kids should learn a trade that would provide a rock-solid income, but what would that be? As a mom, I want their futures to be as secure as possible, giving them a chance of achieving their dreams and a comfortable lifestyle.

As you might imagine, it was right around this point that my thinking got pretty muddled. Is there a career that’s EMP-proof? A job that will provide their families with an income even if the dollar goes belly up and America, as we know it, declines forever?

I’m still not sure what path they should take, and of course they have a say in their future plans! However, my brain lit upon something that gave me hope as I contemplated a dismal future.

What’s more important than a college degree?

The future job market may be bleak for professions from A to Z, but people will always, always, look for and need leaders. People who have the skills, confidence, and personality to stand up and lead. Isn’t that what our world is crying out for right now? Leadership?

My son could easily become an electrician, capable of wiring a building, knowing electrical code, and also able to give direction, focus, and encouragement to his peers and family. Perhaps my daughter will become a florist, but why can’t she also live her life with goals and a vision and inspire others to do the same? It’s those leadership qualities and skills that may very well trump another person’s Ivy League education.

I believe the future belongs to those who possess leadership skills and are willing to step out and lead. Leadership, though, is mostly taught and nurtured. Skills such as decisiveness, ambition, the ability to motivate and inspire are not taught in the public school. I spent 9 years in the classroom as a public school teacher and another 4 as a school district trainer. Trust me. There is nothing in the public school curriculum that teaches leadership skills. If your child is to become a leader in a tumultuous and unpredictable future, you will have to teach him or her yourself.

What skills and qualities should you begin focusing on? Here are a few:

Communication skills

From an early age, give your children practice speaking to and with adults. At restaurants, insist that they place their own orders with the waitress. Stand back and let them approach the librarian or store clerk with their questions. Be willing to sit and just listen to your child as they put their thoughts and emotions into words. Enroll them in activities that will require them to make speeches orpresentations or communicate with the general public. Many adults shrink away from this themselves, but it’s impossible to be a leader without effective communication skills.

Even if there is no need for your child to earn money, getting a job is an excellent way to learn how to communicate with all sorts of people. My first job was at J.C. Penney and I had to work in the children’s clothing department. I learned how to strike up conversations with customers, ask my boss for help when I needed it, and not crawl into a hole when the store manager showed up! All lifelong skills!

Creating a vision

All children have fantasies and dreams for their futures. Encourage them to talk about what they want to be when they grow up, what they want to do, to build, to create. Nothing meaningful on this earth has ever been accomplished without, first, a vision. Our world has been greatly enhanced by people like Steve Jobs and Thomas Edison. They let their imaginations run wild, and apparently, so did their parents!

Setting and achieving goals

boy scouts 8 Vital skills to teach your children that will trump an Ivy League educationimage by RDECOM

Once your child has a vision for something, help him or her break it down into smaller parts. Setting and achieving goals is an enormous confidence builder but too many people, including most adults, have no idea of the power of goal-setting. Start with a small goal, perhaps earning a certain amount of money or achieving some specific goal in a school subject. Write out the goal and what has to be done in order to complete it. This teaches kids to know what they want and what has to be done to get it.

Courage in the face of opposition

We live in a world where too few people have courage. They are too willing to behave like sheep and kowtow to the latest version of political correctness. A real leader stands up for what he or she believes in the face of ridicule, prejudice, and rejection. As well, it takes courage to finish a difficult task and overcome obstacles of every kind. Facing peer pressure is another chance to be courageous and do the right thing.

Confidence

Confidence comes with competence. Require your kids to always to their best and to not make excuses. However, don’t expect them to succeed in something without thorough instruction. That applies to school subjects, athletic endeavors, and even household chores. I used to get frustrated at my son’s attempts to load the dishwasher until I realized that I had never actually taught him how to do it! Don’t demand a high level of competency without making sure your child understands exactly how to accomplish the task. Once they are competent and experience repeated successes, just watch their confidence soar!

Ability to encourage others

We all need a pat on the back, a word of encouragement, or a note of appreciation. Let your child see from your own actions what it means to encourage others and give them opportunities to do the same. Perhaps they could write a kind note to a friend who lost a pet or send a get-well card to a relative. Our culture encourages isolation and selfishness, but this will teach your kids a more rewarding way of interacting with others.

Honesty

People will never trust a leader who they know to be dishonest. Honesty brings with it respect and admiration. Reward truthfulness and integrity every time you notice it.

Decision making

boy and girl on path 8 Vital skills to teach your children that will trump an Ivy League educationimage by Ernst Vikne

I have a friend who decided what her daughter should wear each day until the girl was at least 11 years old. Yes, she was always perfectly coordinated, but without meaning to, I’m sure, her mother was teaching her to doubt her own decisions. Part of learning to make smart decisions is bearing the consequences of poor ones. When my kid spend all their money foolishly, I don’t slip them a ten when they see something else they want! Let your kids make decisions. Talk about what they give up if they make Decision A versus Decision B. It’s important to take into consideration the consequences of their decisions and learn to not rush into something without giving it plenty of thought.

How should these be taught?

  • Point out examples of leadership in movies, TV, literature, and real life. Be specific in explaining why that person, or character, is a good leader. For example, one reason many people look up to Ron Paul, regardless of political beliefs, is because he speaks his mind, even when his opinion is unpopular and he stands a good chance of being criticized. It’s important to actually label the specific leadership skill or quality.
  • Ask your child to look for examples of leadership among your circle of familyand friends and tell you why that person is a leader.
  • Encourage your child to read biographies of famous people and then analyze their leadership qualities and skills.
  • When you observe these skills in your child, be sure to point them out and praise them.
  • Set family goals and track progress with a chart or a marble jar.
  • Family meetings can be helpful in discussing decisions, conflicts, and goals. They also give each family member the chance to express their opinions and feelings. In other words, they can help develop important leadership skills.
  • Give children an allowance in order to help them make decisions involving money. Teach them how to keep a ledger of income, outgo, and savings.

You and I have no way of knowing what careers will be “hot” in ten or twenty years, but in a way, that doesn’t matter. Young adults facing the future with the confidence that comes with these leadership qualities and skills are ready to tackle anything and succeed, even without that Ivy League education.

Obama Compares Catholic School With Racial Segregation

by

While in Ireland, President Obama said this:

“Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity—symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others–these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it. If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings, and Protestants have theirs—if we can’t see ourselves in one another, if fear or resentment are allowed to harden, that encourages division. It discourages cooperation.”

Barack Obama is quite adept at saying one thing, while meaning another. Taken at face value, the essence of what the President said is accurate: fear and resentment may harden us to others; and it discourages cooperation. So, if one were to take out of context what the President said, it might make for a delightful sound bite; making Obama seem as wise and urbane as the media makes him out to be.

However, by reading the entirety of his speech, it is quite clear that Obama is directly comparing racial segregation to religious education. Let’s break down what the most powerful man in the world said:

1. He first establishes that segregation is a despicable thing. Ok, that’s accurate.

2. He then goes on to compare religious education among Catholics and Protestants to segregation. In essence, Obama is claiming that sending your child to be educated in an environment that you believe is better suited to your views is comparable to not wanting your children around black people.

3. He makes sure to evoke the everlasting tension between Catholic and Protestant so that it doesn’t appear as though he is talking directly about racial segregation; but rather religious and social segregation.

4. Beyond the obvious absurdity of comparing religious education to racial segregation, this has implications beyond the scope of school. By chastising the Catholic schools and Protestant schools for “segregation,” Obama is essentially taking a shot at religion in general. Is he saying that because many of us choose to be either Catholic or Protestant, that we are segregating ourselves? Is he saying that practicing one faith over another is comparable to black segregation? If so, he is making a clear and dangerous move against freedom of religion.

5. The President also links religion and religious education directly with hatred and resentment. He is taking liberties in terms of speaking about faith that no President should take. At its core, Obama’s message is that this school, and religious “segregation” is a source of resentment; that it creates and fosters resentment.

6. Finally, it’s Democratic policies that cause this supposed segregation in the first place. If the Democrats were to actually implement a voucher school choice program, parents would be free to choose the schools best suited for their kids. In that case, poor kids, whose parents cannot afford Catholic or Private school, would not be locked into an awful district. With choice, I’m sure many parents—even non-religious parents—would rather have their kids in a faith based school over a public school. Regardless, this “segregation” comparison is absolute garbage.

What Obama loves to do is speak these elegant and striking words that mean absolutely nothing. When taken apart, and understood clinically, Obama’s words often represent the exact opposite of his apparent intention. With this speech, apparently intended to provoke thought and discussion regarding a divided people, Obama has insulted schools of faith, religion at large, and those who simply desire a better education for their children.

Apparently, reptiles aren’t the only creatures with forked tongues.

Muslims Demand (& Get) Prayer In Public Schools – Attack Off Campus Bible Studies

by

CAIR

So about that “religion of peace” and tolerance, this is how it really works. Muslim supremacism is at the top, everything else is at the bottom. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is leading the charge by pushing for public school policy, and they’re getting it.

CAIR’s impact in the public school system is now being seen in two cases in Michigan.

The first comes from one of CAIR’s press releases, dated October of 2012, in which CAIR had bullied a local school system because of passing out information about a private Bible Study class (something, by the way, that use to actually be part of the public education system in this country). According to the Press release:

The Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI) said today that a Detroit-area school district has apologized for handing out permission slips for Bible study classes to elementary school students.

CAIR-MI sent a letter to Roseville Public Schools after receiving a complaint from two parents of children who attend Huron Park Elementary School about distribution by teachers of permission slips for the Bible classes at a local Baptist church.

In his letter to the school district, CAIR-MI Executive Director Dawud Walid wrote in part:

“School staff and teachers are not to serve as advocates for one particular religion or congregation within a religion by passing out slips inviting parents to give permission for their children to attend religious instruction. . . According to the United States Supreme Court, the First Amendment clearly requires that public school students and their parents are never given the impression that their school/school district prefers a specific religion over others or sanctions religion in general.”

A school district official today apologized to CAIR-MI for the distribution of the permission slips and said district principals will discuss the issue at an upcoming meeting.

“We thank school district officials for taking quick and appropriate action once this violation of religious neutrality was brought to their attention,” said Walid.

He said CAIR offers a booklet, called “An Educator’s Guide to Islamic Religious Practices,” that is designed to help school officials provide a positive learning environment for students of all faiths.

First of all, let me make one thing crystal clear for anyone espousing the nonsense that education, or anything for that matter can be “religiously neutral.” Everything, education, work, home, community and anything in life boils down to being viewed through one’s worldview, or belief system (which we usually refer to as “religion”).

Second, notice the hypocrisy and downright deceptiveness of CAIR. They scream and decry permission slips to attend a Bible study, but have no problem providing these same facilities, which they want to be religiously neutral, with “An Educator’s Guide to Islamic Religious Practices.”

There is a direct attack on Christianity, as if the Islamic anti-Christian doctrines found in their Qur’an and Hadiths, along with the mass murders of Christians world-wide they engage in weren’t enough.

In another article from April 2013, CAIR shows just how religiously neutral they really are:

The Council on American Islamic Relations of Michigan (CAIR-MI) staff recently met with Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent Brian Whiston to discuss concerns from some parents regarding prayer accommodations in Dearborn Public Schools.

Dearborn Public Schools has implemented a policy which fully accommodates student-led prayer in all the schools, as well as unexcused absences for students who leave early on Fridays for Jumu’ah prayers. CAIR-MI is currently in discussion with Melvindale Public Schools to get similar accommodations for students that are now in place for Dearborn Public Schools.

Get it? Islam is like the homosexual lobby. They want to cry that they are the victims, but the reality is that they are the aggressors. They complain about a permission slip for an off campus Bible study, saying it was a “violation of religion neutrality,” and within months they push the school board to accommodate Islamic prayers in public schools, even granting excused absences for student who leave early for Jumu-ah prayers.

Michigan is the testing grounds for Islamic takeover in the U.S. It seems to be working there. Just how long will it be till they are spreading across the Michigan border with their damnable doctrines? I suppose that is up to you American and Christian patriots. How are you standing against them?

School forces girls to ask for lesbian kiss

Boys get lessons in how to spot ‘sluts’

Outraged parents say a New York middle school instructed young female students to ask one another for a lesbian kiss – and boys learned how to spot young sluts – in an anti-bullying presentation on gender identity and sexual orientation, according to Fox News’ Todd Starnes.

According to Starnes’ Report, the children attended a special April 11 health class taught by college students at Linden Avenue Middle School in Red Hook, N.Y. Parents say they were not notified of the presentation.

The students were introduced to terms such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer.”

Some of the young female students said they were told it was common for 14-year-old girls to have sex and their parents couldn’t stop them.

Mandy Coon, a mother of an eighth-grade student said, “I am furious. I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s OK for her to have sex?”

According to Fox News, Coon said her daughter was distressed by the presentation and wondered why she’d been required to ask another girl to kiss her.

“She told me, ‘Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough – now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her,’” Coon said.

According to the mother, the school said the lesson was meant to “teach girls boundaries and how to say no.”

“They also picked two girls to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date,” Coons said.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reported that Red Hook Central School District Superintendent Paul Finch said the class focused on “improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.”

Finch said it is mandatory that the middle school teach those issues in accordance with the state’s Dignity for All Students Act.

Parent Tara Burns told Fox News, “The school is overstepping its bounds in not notifying parents first and giving us the choice. I thought it was very inappropriate. That kind of instruction is best left up to the parents.”

Parents of middle-school boys were outraged by the school’s lessons on condom usage and determining whether a girl is a slut.

“I was absolutely furious – really furious,” said one parent of a 13-year-old boy. “They were teaching the boys how to decipher if a girl is a slut.”

According to the parent, who wished to remain anonymous, boys were told to determine whether girls are promiscuous by the way they dress or the number of boys they date.

“We don’t judge people like that in our family,” she said. “We don’t call women names because of what they wear or who they date.”

The Journal reported that Principal Katie Zahedi wrote in a Facebook forum for parents that the exercise was “not to pretend to be gay” but to practice saying “no” to unwanted advances: “In planning the discussion, we made it clear that absolutely no discussion of any sexual acts is appropriate to middle school, and they used the examples of a kiss. It was a separate activity for boys and girls and ultimately about respect and safety.”

According to Fox News, the anonymous parent also said boys were instructed to always carry condoms in their wallets.

“These are just kids,” she said. “I’m dumbfounded that they found this class was appropriate.”

How Much Do You Know About Our Constitution?

Make Strong What Is Weak: America’s U.S. Constitution Education

By / http://girlsjustwannahaveguns.com/2013/04/make-strong-what-is-weak-americas-u-s-constitution-education/

strong“In questions of power let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the constitution.” — Thomas Jefferson, The Kentucky Resolution, 1798

“Our Constitution professedly rests upon the good sense and attachment of the people. This basis, weak as it may appear, has not yet been found to fail.” — John Quincy Adams, Letter to William Vans Murray, January 27, 1801

For how long have we been complaining of the “dumbing down” of the public education experience? I can remember at least twenty years’ worth of wondering why our schools have done nothing to truly educate the children in its classrooms. When our children are not taught the truth about things in the U.S. Constitution, especially something as basic as their right to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to practice their religion, there’s something wrong with the school system.

Let’s not even start on what some college professors think about the Second Amendment.  They teach in grade schools lessons that would make most 2nd Amendment supporters run screaming from the room. If it’s not teaching them to think differently about their 2nd Amendment rights, it’s outright lying to them about their 2nd Amendment rights. Then there’s the apparent police state being established in public schools to make kids afraid of guns.

It is in this effort that the public schools have prevailed and loosened the “attachment of the people” to the U.S. Constitution and those of us who profess to love the Constitution — and all of the Amendments and freedoms that go with it — have failed the most. It wasn’t just the “dumbing down” of public education that was being accomplished. It was the redirection of the country via misinforming the populace of their constitutional rights, what they meant to their lives and how the U.S. Constitution made America the best country on earth to live, grow and die.

When my neighbor’s daughter told me in 2008 that America was a bad country and that we started wars all over the world I asked her which wars we started; name one. She could not. I asked her who told her that we started wars all over the world. She told me it was her teacher (a supporter of our current president). I challenged her to ask her teacher which wars America had started and to come back to me with a list. I have yet to hear from her. This is part of the pattern.

Teach the students that America is a horrible country, teach them about all of the bad things (slavery to suffrage; shootings of Martin Luther King, Jr., to Ronald Reagan; prohibition and the gangsters of that era to the dropping of nuclear bombs on Japan during WWII) and you have a twisted picture of America. Fail to teach them about the truths of what happens in other countries that are far worse and you have not just a twisted picture, but a deformity far beyond the recognition of truth, history, or fact. You also weaken the hold school children will have on their love of country and thus, on the Constitution. After all, if it weren’t for the evil men who wrote the evil Constitution in the way it was written (a black man counted in the census as 2/3 of a person, etc.) our country wouldn’t be able to be so bad. If we had a different form of government — say, for instance, if there were a king, or the “elites” ruled over us, or no rule of law at all — we wouldn’t be so bad. America would be better off.

As it is, even in college courses on the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment is not taught as it should be. Consider what the link states:

“Rarely do we focus predominantly on the text, on original meaning, on tradition, on constitutional structure, on claims of changed circumstances, and on other forms of interpretive argument. 3 We know that in reality, to practicing lawyers, the Constitution is indeed what the Court says it is. And influenced by this reality, we mostly teach and critique the Court’s pronouncements. Even when we ask our students to set aside the caselaw and return to first principles, they often find it hard to put the famous precedents out of their minds. [my italics]“

I ask you, how can the attachment of the people be strong enough to maintain our U.S. Constitution if even colleges are not teaching the “original meaning” or tradition or “constitutional structure”? Shouldn’t at least law schools focus on such?

If we had maintained our attachment to the U.S. Constitution and all that with it comes, would not we be more likely to be capable of the first quote: binding the power of man’s mischief down with the chains of the Constitution? Few of our children and grandchildren even know the U.S. Constitution and what it means to our country. How on earth is such ignorance going to stand them in good stead to go into the future without those of us who remember the Constitution there to help them stay free?

In the culture of “low information voters” who are more focused on Hollywood’s faces and factions, is there any way for our children to be capable of standing against the rise of tyranny in their ignorance; indeed, of even recognizing its rise? As it is, we have failed not just the next generation but generations to come for not teaching them what the Constitution is, how it matters in their lives and why we should hold strong to it and all that it means to us, to our country and to our posterity (as well as our prosperity). If we fail to recognize that now, it is not we who shall pay the price, but our grandchildren and their grandchildren, for America will be forever changed. Then they shall have the right — if they recognize it — to point the finger of blame at us.

Let us strive to change that surging tide. Start talking about the Constitution to your children and grandchildren. Tell them about the truths within it and what those truths mean to their freedom. Tell them about the lives of the Founders and talk to them about their sacrifices. Don’t just make it a one-time thing. Make it a regular feature of your relationship with them. Get them excited to learn about the true history of America. Make their attachment to the U.S. Constitution grow as they watch yours grow and flourish. Otherwise you will be the one to whom they can point and say, “Freedom? Nec habeo, nec careo, nec curo.” (I have not, I want not, I care not.)

More Christian Persecution Within the United States

USA Trying to Deport Christian Homeschooling Family Knowing They Face Persecution

romeike_family_2Uwe and Hannelore Romeike are Christians and the parents of six children.  When their kids attended the German public schools, they were bullied and harassed because of being Christians.  The parents began looking into the schools and what their kids were being taught.  They found a number of objectionable and inappropriate things in the textbooks that they didn’t want their kids learning.

They strongly believed that their children would receive a better education grounded in biblical principles by being schooled at home rather than having their children indoctrinated by the German schools.  Uwe said:

“We knew that homeschooling would not be an easy journey.”

However, the German government had made homeschooling illegal and actively pursued Christian families who tried to homeschool their children.  In 2008, the Romeike family was ripped apart when government officials stepped in and forcibly removed the kids from the home.  The parents were fined thousands of euros.

Their only hope was to seek political asylum in a country that allowed Christians to homeschool, so they applied to the US for asylum.  A US immigration judge ruled in 2010 that the family did face persecution from the German government and granted the Romeike family political asylum.  The family moved and settled in Tennessee.

Remember at last month when President Obama issued his Religious Freedom Day proclamation?  He said:

“Today, we also remember that religious liberty is not just an American right; it is a universal human right to be protected here at home and across the globe. This freedom is an essential part of human dignity, and without it our world cannot know lasting peace.”

“As we observe Religious Freedom Day, let us remember the legacy of faith and independence we have inherited, and let us honor it by forever upholding our right to exercise our beliefs free from prejudice or persecution…”

Here’s how he lives up to his statement.

US Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Homeland Security are fighting the political asylum status.  Holder claims that the family’s fundamental rights have not been violated by Germany’s law forbidding families from homeschooling.  They have asked the courts to withdraw the family’s political asylum and have them deported back to Germany.

The Home School legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is representing the Romeikes family and fighting to have them stay in the US.  They say that:

“The U.S. law of asylum allows a refugee to stay in the United States permanently if he can show that he is being persecuted for one of several specific reasons. Among these are persecution for religious reasons and persecution of a ‘particular social group.’”

“In most asylum cases, there is some guesswork necessary to figure out the government’s true motive—but not in this case. The Supreme Court of Germany declared that the purpose of the German ban on homeschooling was to ‘counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies.’”

“This sounds elegant, perhaps, but at its core it is a frightening concept. This means that the German government wants to prohibit people who think differently from the government (on religious or philosophical grounds) from growing and developing into a force in society.”

“The Romeikes’ case is before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. The case for the government is officially in the name of the Attorney General of the United States. The case is called Romeike v. Holder. Thus, the brief filed by the U.S. Department of Justice is filed on behalf of the attorney general himself—although we can be reasonably certain he has not personally read it. Nonetheless, it is a statement of the position of our government at a very high level.”

“We argued that Germany is a party to many human rights treaties that contain specific provisions that protect the right of parents to provide an education that is different from the government schools. Parents have the explicit right to give their children an education according to their own philosophy.”

“While the United States government argued many things in their brief, there are three specific arguments that you should know about.”

“First, they argued that there was no violation of anyone’s protected rights in a law that entirely bans homeschooling. There would only be a problem if Germany banned homeschooling for some but permitted it for others.”

“A second argument is revealing. The U.S. government contended that the Romeikes’ case failed to show that there was any discrimination based on religion because, among other reasons, the Romeikes did not prove that all homeschoolers were religious, and that not all Christians believed they had to homeschool.”

“This argument demonstrates another form of dangerous “group think” by our own government. The central problem here is that the U.S. government does not understand that religious freedom is an individual right. One need not be a part of any church or other religious group to be able to make a religious freedom claim. Specifically, one doesn’t have to follow the dictates of a church to claim religious freedom—one should be able to follow the dictates of God Himself.”

“One final argument from Romeikes deserves our attention. One of the grounds for asylum is if persecution is aimed at a “particular social group.” The definition of a “particular social group” requires a showing of an “immutable” characteristic that cannot change or should not be required to be changed. We contend that German homeschoolers are a particular social group who are being persecuted by their government.”

If they are returned to Germany, the couple could be facing more large fines, jail time and the loss of their children.  If this is not a violation of the family’s fundamental rights, then I don’t know what is.  Perhaps more importantly to all homeschoolers in America is that if Holder wins this case, there is the possibility that it could serve as a legal precedent for Obama’s efforts to outlaw homeschooling here in the US.

What gets me really hot under the collar on this case is that Holder and the DHS are allowing nearly a million illegal aliens to remain in the US, still illegally, while trying to deport a family who only wants to homeschool their children.  When Obama penned that proclamation last month, he was lying out both sides of his mouth and had no intention of doing anything for any Christian.  He’ll leap tall buildings to defend the rights of Muslim and gays, but he’ll turn his back and walk away from Christians.  The hypocrisy of the Obama administration is enough to make me want to vomit.
