New research conducted by the American Bible Society reveals that Christians heavily engaged with the Bible and their faith “flourish in every domain of human experience.”

The American Bible Society released Chapter 3 of its State of the Bible 2023 report Thursday, titled “Flourishing and Hope.” Data in the State of the Bible report is based on 2,761 responses collected from U.S. adults between Jan. 5-30.  It has a margin of error of +/- 2.59 percentage points.

“Our research confirms something millions of Christians know through personal experience—that the Bible has the power to transform our lives and make us happier, healthier, and whole,” said American Bible Society Chief Ministry Insights and Innovation Officer John Farquhar Plake. “We find that Christians who are committed to their faith, fully engaged in the Bible and transformed by its message, flourish in every domain of human experience.”

According to Plake, “While these scripture-engaged Christians go through the same hardships as everyone else, the difference is they experience life’s ups and downs through a worldview shaped by the Bible’s message of hope. No matter the circumstances, those who trust in God and connect with him through Scripture are happier than those who haven’t yet sought God in his Word.”

The research examined respondents’ scores on the Human Flourishing Index, which asks about people’s “happiness & life satisfaction,” “mental & physical health,” “meaning & purpose,” “character & virtue,” “close societal relationships” and “financial & material stability.” On the Human Flourishing Index as a whole, practicing Christians received an average score of 7.8 compared to 6.9 for non-practicing Christians and 6.7 for non-Christians.

This phenomenon extended to the Happiness & Life Satisfaction domain, where practicing Christians received an average score of 7.8, followed by non-practicing Christians at 6.8 and non-Christians at 6.5. When it comes to meaning and purpose, practicing Christians turned in an average score of 8.1, while non-practicing Christians and non-Christians registered average scores of 6.9 and 6.4, respectively.

The State of the Bible research places respondents into three categories based on their scores on the Scripture Engagement Scale, which measures an individual’s responses to 14 questions about “the frequency of Bible use and the impact and centrality [of] its message.” Scripture Engaged Americans are defined as those who score 100 or higher on the Scripture Engagement Scale, the Movable Middle consists of those who score between 70 and 99, while the Bible Disengaged have scores of less than 70.

Scripture Engaged Americans received an average score of 7.9 on the Human Flourishing Index compared to 7.1 for the Movable Middle and 6.7 for the Bible Disengaged. With an average score of 7.8, Scripture Engaged respondents also scored higher than the Movable Middle (6.9) and Bible Disengaged (6.6) in the Happiness & Life Satisfaction domain.

While the Scripture Engaged received an average score of 8.3 in the Meaning & Purpose domain, the Movable Middle and Bible Disengaged achieved average scores of 7.0 and 6.5, respectively.

Those who “agree strongly” that “the message of the Bible has transformed my life” received an average score of 7.8 on the Human Flourishing Index as well as an average score of 7.7 in the Happiness & Life Satisfaction domain and an average score of 8.0 in the Meaning & Purpose domain. By contrast, those who “disagree strongly” that “the message of the Bible has transformed my life” received average scores of 6.5, 6.4 and 6.2 on the respective scales.

Respondents who prayed to God in the last seven days received an average score of 7.2 on the Human Flourishing Index compared to an average score of 6.6 for those who did not. Similarly, those who prayed in the last week received an average score of 7.1 in the Happiness & Life Satisfaction domain and an average score of 7.0 in the mental and physical health domain. Respondents who had not prayed in the last week achieved an average score of 6.5 in both domains.

Additionally, respondents who agreed that “I am able to sincerely forgive whatever someone else has done to me, regardless of whether they ever ask for forgiveness or not” received high average scores on the Human Flourishing Index (7.7), in the Happiness & Life Satisfaction domain (7.5) and the Meaning & Purpose domain (7.7). On the other hand, those who disagree strongly that they are able to sincerely forgive others receive much lower scores of 6.0, 5.8 and 5.8, respectively.

In addition to scoring higher on the Human Flourishing Index and its various domains, respondents who strongly agree that they have an ability to sincerely forgive those who wronged them also performed better on the Persevering Hope Scale, which examines people’s “motivation to persevere in the face of seemingly unlikely or even impossible goals.”

Those who agree strongly that they can sincerely forgive others received an average score of 4.1 on the Persevering Hope scale compared to an average score of 3.5 for those who disagree strongly that they can authentically forgive others.

Breaking: Ukrainian energy company executive involved in alleged Biden bribery scheme has secret recordings of Hunter and Joe, Sen. Grassley says

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said that a Ukrainian energy company executive involved in the alleged Biden bribery scheme had secret audio recordings of Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. Grassley, who is the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Monday that the Burisma executive had a total of 17 secret recordings, and two of them are with Joe Biden, who was vice president under former President Barack Obama at the time. The other 15 recordings were of conversations with Hunter Biden.

Grassley made the claims in a speech on the floor of the Senate.

Republicans have been trying to build a case to prove that the Biden family has sold political favors as part of a criminal corruption scheme. He also said that the Burisma executive made the recordings as a kind of “insurance policy” in case the official got into a “tight spot.”

Grassley highlighted the apparent double standard between treatment of the Biden family by the Justice Department and that of former President Donald Trump.

“Based on the facts known to the Congress and the public, it’s clear that the Justice Department, the FBI, haven’t nearly had the same laser-focus on the Biden family,” said Grassley on the Senate floor.

“Special counsel Jack Smith has used a recording against former President Trump,” he added. “Well, what is U.S. Attorney Weiss doing with respect to these alleged Joe and Hunter Biden recordings that are apparently relevant to the high stakes bribery scheme?”

Trump has been indicted for charges related to his withholding of documents at Mar-a-Lago from his time as president.

Here’s more on the Biden corruption allegations:

Tucker Carlson’s attorney responds defiantly after Fox reportedly sends cease-and-desist letter seeking to shut down Twitter show

Fox News has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Tucker Carlson amid the popular broadcaster releasing two monologue-type commentary videos on Twitter, Axios reported Monday.

“My friend and client @TuckerCarlson will not be silenced by the far left or Fox News,” attorney Harmeet Dhillon tweeted Monday morning, appending a link to the piece on Axios covering a cease-and-desist letter sent to Carlson by the network.

Axios did not include the text of the cease-and-desist letter, saying that the letter has “NOT FOR PUBLICATION” in bold at the top.

Dhillon went on to explain that Fox News is “not a place” for her until the network “stops trying to silence Tucker.” She added she has friends still under contract at Fox and that she feels for them.

“I am passionately committed to free speech and a free flow of information necessary for a free society,” Dhillon said.

The popular liberty-minded lawyer was not done there, however. She urged Congress, influencers, and GOP officials to carefully consider decisions about appearing on the network she says has “caved into pressure to silence Tucker Carlson.”

“Do you really want to air your views on a network that spits on its viewers, leaks oppo on its own talent, and even threatens former talent for speaking, for free, on @Twitter?”

“You have free will!”

“What you are seeing on Fox today is a censored version of the news,” Dhillon also said in the multi-part tweet thread.

Tucker Carlson and Fox News Channel parted ways April 21. After Carlson’s departure, the network suffered deeply plummeting ratings, as TheBlaze reported.

Carlson re-emerged on Twitter April 26, in a short video calling out the faults of major media outlets. A June 6 video Carlson posted to the platform as “Episode 1” amassed more than 114.8 million views. Episode 2, released June 8, has nearly 55 million views. The second installment’s video was emblazoned with a “Tucker on Twitter” typographical logo.

Elon Musk noted May 9 that Twitter had “not signed any deal of any kind whatsoever” with the broadcaster, as TheBlaze reported.

Tucker Carlson Tonight’s former executive producer Justin Wells tweeted Sunday that the next episode of “Tucker on Twitter” will be released Tuesday. The content will reportedly cover former President Donald Trump’s indictment in the federal classified documents probe.

Fox News did not respond to a request for comment from Axios.

The Washington Post’s Valerie Strauss is at it again: amplifying far-left partisans in their war on quality education for American kids. On June 8, she wrote about report claiming schools that use a classics-based curriculum are vanguards of “right-wing Christian nationalism.”

Schools that emphasize personal virtue, English grammar, classic literature, patriotism, original source-based history, traditional and rigorous math and science, and classical artistic training are “designed to attract Christian nationalists with specific imagery and curriculum,” Strauss slanderously claims. I’m not making this up: She and the report claim the American colors of “red, white, and blue” and pictures of the American founders are racist dog whistles.

Such imagery on the schools’ websites is “designed to attract White conservative families,” Strauss says, citing the report. The implicit bigotry is appalling — assuming some people wouldn’t be interested in patriotic ideas simply because of their skin color. Who’s the racist: people who think American patriotism has a skin color or people who don’t?

Strauss and the report she’s citing also attack schools that promote virtuous behavior to their students, because “values” and “virtues” “stand as shorthand for quoted scripture.” We can’t have kids learning about the deep religious beliefs that created their unprecedented equality, liberty, and opportunity, now, could we? That would be horrible! They might, you know, shovel driveways for the elderly, stay faithful to their spouses, and donate their time and money to charity!

According to these anti-American, anti-Christian partisans, who clearly reject the founding American statesmen’s views about the purpose of public education, there’s absolutely no room for teaching children virtue, morality, or religion in public schools. What an interesting message to Christian parents from the people who control public education.

The report makes sure to target highly successful networks of classical schools, including those run by parents trained at and given free curriculum from Hillsdale College (my alma mater), the Great Hearts Academies, and Liberty Common in Fort Collins, Colorado, a model for many other classical schools. Strauss paints it as nefarious that a guy who wrote in The Federalist noticed such schools exist for the “purpose of forming young minds,” as if every single school in existence doesn’t form the minds who enter.

What she really means is that only the left should be allowed to shape people’s minds. That’s what this report and article are really about: boxing out of public education anyone who doesn’t think exactly like politically extremist teachers union leaders do.

This is another illustration of the reality that today’s left doesn’t believe in sharing the public square, public funds, or anything else with people who don’t parrot their views. This is why leftist-run schools don’t educate, they indoctrinate: You can’t educate without conversation.

Monologues are not conversation. Conversation is not shouting down ideas, banning them, or slandering them. That’s why suddenly conservatives are the only ones who believe in free speech, honoring our country’s fathers and mothers, and educating without indoctrinating: The left has abandoned these common goods in the pursuit of political power.

This report is the work product of the Network for Public Education (NPE), founded by Diane Ravitch, who used to believe in educating kids about their American heritage with original source documents. I’d bet you her U.S. history book is on the shelf in many of the schools this report targets because it is in my kids’ Christian classical school.

But Ravitch has subjugated herself to leftist ideology as she’s become more professionally dependent on corrupt teachers unions. She now seeks to foist a similar intellectual degradation on innocent kids. It’s a shame.

Given this connection, it’s no surprise NPE is financially, ideologically, and professionally connected to the nation’s largest teachers unions, which are gigantic, far-left political operations. The Chicago Teachers Union gave NPE and its political action fund, Network for Public Education Action, a series of grants that look like a startup endowment, according to CTU’s own website and its tax forms. From 2014 to 2016, the union’s foundation gave NPE $265,000, according to its tax forms.

CTU is a large affiliate of the massive national American Federation of Teachers union. It is notorious for extremist behavior, including shutting down Chicago schools in 2022 in defiance of elected officials’ decision to restart school post-Covid.

CTU takes in $32 million a year, and the AFT takes in more than $200 million a year, according to their public tax forms. CTU has something like $60 million in assets, and AFT has $140 million. Each has multiple other arms that also rake in millions each, as well as functioning as distributing houses for all the public money they collect.

The NEA, by the way, takes in $600 million a year, and has more than $450 million in assets, according to its tax records. Teachers unions are essentially giant political money laundering operations and among the top donors to the Democrat Party.

NPE says it has also received money more recently from the Schott Foundation for Public Education, which Peter Cook says received more than $1.3 million from unions between 2011 and 2019, according to their disclosures to the U.S. Department of Labor. Schott itself discloses AFT and National Education Association union funding on its website.

Like teacher’s unions, which strongly support political extremism such as teaching small children about gay sex and hiding kids’ gender struggles from their parents, NPE is an ideologically far-left organization. A conference attendee noted the organization considered canceling or moving its 2016 conference in North Carolina after the state passed a law requiring men to stay out of women’s bathrooms. The report’s retired journalist coauthor is a longtime school choice opponent and teachers union mouthpiece.

So, it’s quite rich for an organization connected to some of the biggest leftist political organizing operations in the United States to complain about politics in public education. What they’re really complaining about is competition, which is gaining steam because of how badly these far-left union activists are mangling public schools.

Union money goes all across the country to target any education innovations that threaten their control of the system. Classical schools are one of those threats.

Lots of parents aren’t happy with the current results of unions’ giant political influence operations masquerading as public education. Instead of responding to parents’ concerns about the lack of quality in their kids’ schools and the proliferation of extremist politics, the interest groups making billions off public education belittle concerned parents as Nazis. (Obviously, “white Christian nationalism” is to them a synonym for “Nazi,” a deeply offensive slander that is somehow OK for the left to throw at anyone who disagrees with their politics.)

“[T]he classical/right-wing sector is rapidly growing. Forty-seven percent of the schools we identified opened since the inauguration of Donald Trump in 2017,” the report says. It includes zero reflection about how the rise in leftist extremism since Trump’s tenure may have contributed to this rapid exodus of parents from conventional public schools.

If more parents get better schools that don’t happen to force teachers to launder billions of dollars to the Democrat Party through mandatory union dues, this entire multibillion-dollar power-mongering racket is in danger. This is not at all about the best education for kids; it’s about money and power.

The United Kingdom’s primary government health system will no longer hand out castration drugs to children like candy because “there is not enough evidence to support their safety or clinical effectiveness as a routinely available treatment.”

The National Health Service announced on Friday that only kids in the United Kingdom who are enrolled in clinical trials or get approved for an exception would have access to prescriptions that suppress and wreak havoc on humans’ natural growing pattern.

The decision to halt the universal prescription of life-altering drugs is long overdue considering there was never any evidence that permanently manipulating a child’s body would remedy his or her mental struggles.

In recent years, pharmaceutical companies and bureaucracies began marketing a sterilizing chemical regime as a way to “pause” puberty for the growing number of kids who claim to struggle with gender dysphoria. On the contrary, the increasing body of evidence shows that pumping kids full of neutering drugs causes irreversible harm, including sexual dysfunction and permanent infertility, a higher risk of cancer and cardiac events, impaired vocal cords, bone density issues, and transition regret.

NHS still allows doctors to “socially transition” children, a nonsense concept since “transitioning” sexes is physically impossible. But the agency is not afraid to warn medical professionals that transgender interventions like wrong-sex hormones — which studies show lead to sickening regret — will “cause some irreversible changes.”

NHS also rightfully acknowledges that “in many cases gender variant behavior or feelings disappear as children reach puberty.” In the U.S., schools, hospitals, corporations, and the White House claim that refusing to perform dangerous gender experiments on children via drugs or surgery will banish victims to turmoil, discrimination, and suicide.

Similarly, while someone can be remotely approved to mutilate functional body parts in just 22 minutes in the U.S., the British taxpayer-funded agency still requires a “detailed assessment, usually over 3 to 6 appointments over a period of several months.” Even if someone was approved for a so-called “transition,” the socialized health care system’s “waiting times for referral and treatment are currently long.”

The NHS’s recent actions aren’t perfect but they are better than the status quo in the United States, where the federal government and president repeatedly force the sterilization of kids on Americans.

No matter what the current institutional complex claims, children aren’t lab rats to be pumped full of dangerous drugs. They are the most vulnerable in our society and their innocence deserves protection from the left’s radical sexual agenda.

More than a dozen Republican-led states recognize this, which is why they have effectively restricted or banned physical transgender interventions. Countries like SwedenFinlandFrance, and now the U.K. are coming to terms with this reality and scaling back their participation in the mutilation racket.

Unfortunately, banning the mass dissemination of disfiguring drugs in only some areas of the world is not enough. Especially because states like CaliforniaWashington, and Minnesota have set themselves apart as sanctuaries for mangling children, with cities like Madison, Wisconsin working to follow suit.

We need to not just ban the demonic act of chopping off healthy body parts or rendering them useless with castrating drugs, but also punish the people promoting and executing the left’s shop of horrors behind parents’ backs. In Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton classified it as child abuse. In Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis barred people seeking mutilation from using taxpayer-funded programs to pay for it. If reelected in 2024, former President Donald Trump promised to kick medical professionals who meddle unnecessarily with children’s bodies off of Medicaid and Medicare.

The radical gender ideology movement is mentally, physically, and spiritually hurting adults and children. Until it is quelled, corporations and governments will continue to push the transgender industry’s profits over people.

Wisconsin county is considering a resolution declaring sanctuary status for self-identified “transgender and nonbinary individuals,” including children.

Board supervisors in Dane County, which includes the state capital of Madison, will vote on a resolution “declaring Dane County a sanctuary for trans and nonbinary individuals,” at the county board meeting this Thursday after it was referred to the executive committee earlier this month.

“In this hostile environment, some cities and counties across the country are taking steps to support and protect trans and nonbinary individuals,” the resolution states. “Dane County values its transgender and nonbinary residents and vigorously opposes measures that would allow legal violence toward trans people in accessing gender-affirming care or expression.”

The resolution states the county’s position that it’s a “fundamental right” for children to access sex-reassignment drugs and procedures.

“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dane County Board of Supervisors firmly states its commitment to protect transgender and nonbinary individuals, and believes that access to health care is a fundamental right and all people in Dane County and the State of Wisconsin should have access to all health care, including gender affirming care,” the resolution states.

“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, if the state of Wisconsin passes a law that imposes criminal or civil punishments, fines, or professional sanctions on any person or organization that seeks, provides, receives or helps someone to receive gender-affirming care such as puberty blockers, hormones or surgery, the Dane County Board of Supervisors urges the Sheriff to make enforcement their lowest priority,” it continues.

“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Dane County be considered a safe place, a sanctuary, for transgender children and adults and their families,” it adds.

The resolution calls on school boards in the county to follow suit and says a copy of the resolution will be sent to Democratic Gov. Tony Evers, as well as state and local lawmakers and officials.

The resolution was first reported on Twitter by parent activist Scarlett Johnson.

Riley Gaines to Newsmax: Biden Administration Trying to ‘Erase Women’

By Charlie McCarthy    |   Monday, 12 June 2023 02:11 PM EDT

A Pride month event held at the White House this past weekend was the latest example of how the Biden administration is “trying to erase women,” former NCAA All-America swimmer Riley Gaines told Newsmax on Monday.

The rainbow flag was displayed Saturday as President Joe Biden welcomed hundreds to the White House for a Pride month celebration aimed at showing LGBTQ+ people that his administration has their back.

Gaines, an advocate defending women’s sports, appeared on “John Bachman Now.”

“No female athlete should feel celebrated by this administration,” Gaines told host Bianca de la Garza. “What this administration is actively trying to do is erase women, not just female athletes, they’re trying to erase women.

“Their proposed rewrite of Title IX is an abomination to what was beneficial for so many women, including my grandma’s generation. They’ve seen these benefits, and they see them being taken away. So make no mistake, the message that they’re really sending to women like myself, young girls is that we don’t matter.”

Gaines offered a message to parents and young girls.

“My advice to parents first and foremost is to defend your daughters and teach your sons masculinity,” Gaines said. “The conversation very quickly gets centered around girls and women, but we need men, too. We need strong men. Teach your sons masculinity.

“My message to young girls is it’s liberating to say the truth. You feel like a weight is off of your shoulders. Be bold, be empowered, stand firm in what you know is right and what you know is fair and know that the overwhelming majority of not just Republicans, not just female athletes but the overwhelming majority of the general public, even the overwhelming majority of the Democratic Party knows that men in womens’ sports is lunacy. So stand firm on that. We’re catering to a minority now and I wish people would be bold enough to acknowledge that.”

In early April, Gaines was attacked by trans activists at a Turning Point USA event at San Francisco State University. She said she pressed charges against the protesters but has gotten little cooperation from the San Francisco police.

“I was held for ransom for over 3½ hours where these protesters demanded that if I wanted to make it home to see my family safely, that I had to pay them money,” Gaines told de la Garza.

“But there have been no repercussions, there have been no expulsions, there has been no consequences for anyone involved, including the administration, which afterwards after this event, the vice president of student affairs released an email doubling down on what the students had done and saying she was so proud of her brave students for handling someone such as myself in the manner that they did.”

During Monday’s appearance on Newsmax, Gaines explained why she’s supporting Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis for president.

“If it was Ron DeSantis in the White House that flag would not be flying,” Gaines said. “The only flag that would be flying is the flag that’s standing outside of his residence right here in Florida now which is the American flag.

“The way he has handled these cultural issues that affect everyday Americans, whether that be something like sports, the education system, the breakdown of faith and faith and our freedom, he has drawn a line and he has said, ‘Enough is enough,’ which we haven’t seen other candidates do in the way he has.”

Devin Nunes to Newsmax: DOJ Creating ‘Fog’ Around Trump Charges

By Sandy Fitzgerald    |   Monday, 12 June 2023 03:06 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/devin-nunes-donald-trump-indictment/2023/06/12/id/1123290/

There is a “fog that’s being created” around the charges against former President Donald Trump, as they’re widely being called a classified documents case when the indictment concerns alleged violations of the federal Espionage Act, former Rep. Devin Nunes, now the CEO of Trump’s Truth Social network, said on Newsmax Monday.

“They are not charging the president with mishandling of classified documents,” Nunes told Newsmax’s “John Bachman Now.” “I think this was done deliberately by the corrupt Department of Justice because all through that indictment, it talks about classified documents, but they don’t actually bring a charge about classified documents.”

In the federal indictment released Friday, Trump is facing 31 counts of violating the Espionage Act through the “willful retention” of classified records, and six counts that include obstruction of justice and making false statements.

“They are very careful about what they say, so they changed the definition of what everybody has been talking about in the fake news: classified documents, classified documents, classified documents,” said Nunes. “Now they’ve changed it to national defense information in order to make a statute from World War I apply to the president.

“It’s a great distinction, but again it isn’t part of that because if they went with the Records Act, it’s civil. This would never be in a federal case.”

Nunes pointed out that he has dealt with classified documents for many years, including when he chaired the House Intelligence Committee.

“I was around when Gen. [David] Petraeus pled to a misdemeanor,” Nunes said. “I was around when Hillary Clinton wasn’t charged. I was even around in Congress when Sandy Berger, the Clinton lawyer, went in and stole documents from the National Archives.”

And in Trump’s case, “what I’m saying here is that this is the classic ‘Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime,'” said Nunes.

The terminology, meanwhile, is being changed so that “if somebody reads that, a layman, just the average person on the street, reads the indictment, you think, Wow, this is really about a bunch of classified documents,” said Nunes. “It’s not about that.”

He added that he’s concerned that the predicate for the indictment is the raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

In addition, Nunes said that last week, it was learned that when the federal archivist was put under oath by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee last week, he said there were two documents he was concerned about: one involving a letter from former President Barack Obama to Trump, and another being a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to Trump.

“How are those not President Trump’s?” said Nunes.

Going after a presidential political opponent has consequences, says former President Donald Trump. And now, he says, the gloves will come off.

The “seal” for going after your political opposition as the U.S. president is broken, Trump vowed Monday as he heads to Miami for a Tuesday court appearance on an unprecedented federal indictment of a former commander in chief.

Trump wrote in a Truth Social post: “Now that the ‘seal’ is broken, in addition to closing the border & removing all of the ‘criminal’ elements that have illegally invaded our country, making America energy independent, & even dominant again, & immediately ending the war between Russia & Ukraine, I will appoint a real special ‘prosecutor’ to go after the most corrupt president in the history of the USA, Joe Biden, the entire Biden crime family, & all others involved with the destruction of our elections, borders, & country itself!”

Trump defenders have been hailing his administration for not going to the level of prosecuting his political opponents, despite some suggestions otherwise with both former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and then-2020 presidential candidate Biden.

Trump’s former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani had found allegations of bribes with Ukraine as House Democrats sought myriad impeachment actions against then-President Trump.

Giuliani denounced special counsel Jack Smith’s claim in a brief and harried news conference Friday announcing the first ever indictment of a former president, saying “there’s one system of laws” and that “applies equally to everyone.”

“Well, of course, that’s the most ridiculous, idiotic statement to make on a day in which we find out that the Bidens took a $10 million bribe from a Ukrainian Mykola Zlochevsky, which I could have told you, you know, and did tell [the DOJ] three years ago,” Giuliani told Newsmax‘s “Saturday Report.”

“And they followed up on none of the evidence I gave them. They were hoping that people would disappear or die. It’s extraordinary.”

Giuliani added the Pittsburgh attorney general was looking into the case before it was taken away from him by then-Attorney General Bill Barr, who gave it to the “U.S. attorney in Delaware, who didn’t do a thing about it.”

Actor and musician Tyrese Gibson opens up about his faith in Jesus, the spiritual sickness of Hollywood: ‘They’re trying to normalize the devil’

Musician and Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson has recently spoken openly about his Christian faith as well as the spiritual problems he sees in the entertainment industry. He claimed in a recent interview that celebrity award shows are “trying to normalize the devil,” and he’s had about enough of it.

About a month ago, Gibson, 44, sat down with the man known as Big Boy, the host of “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” and Real 92.3 L.A. The purpose of the interview was ostensibly for Gibson to promote the latest film in the “Fast & Furious” series, “Fast X,” which opened May 19, as well as his latest album, “Beautiful Pain.” However, the conversation quickly turned spiritual, and Gibson expressed his frustration with the entertainment industry, which he claimed is popularizing evil.

“They [are] going above and beyond to promote the devil,” Gibson said, “and it’s p***ing me off.”

“The devil is on the mainstage at award shows and in every video, and you have signs and symbols,” he explained. He also stated, “I just feel like we’re in competition right now because they are trying to normalize the devil.”

But things weren’t always this way in Hollywood, Gibson suggested. “The devil-worshippers used to be real secretive,” he claimed, “going down in the basement. Now, they just play.”

Big Boy seemed to agree with Gibson, occasionally interjecting with “amen” and even noting that devilish images and symbols can also often be seen on a “device,” likely referring to cellphones, iPads, computers, and televisions.

Gibson hinted that the solution to the spiritual malaise in popular culture is simple: We must regularly give thanks to God and share praise reports about “all of the things that God has brought us through.”

“We need to stop treating our relationship with Jesus like the little buddy that you talk to before you go to bed at night,” Gibson stated, adding that Christians must be “more vocal about all the things that God means to us.”

That portion of the interview can be seen in the short Twitter video below:

“We should, as believers, we should go the rest of our lives trying to figure out God. That should be an everlasting hunt,” he continued. “… I’m looking as a person who is overwhelmed with what God has decided to put me in and has done over my life, even when I’ve went above and beyond to mess it up myself.

“God says, ‘I still got you,'” he said.

In speaking about his faith, Gibson also opened up about the deaths of actor Paul Walker and director John Singleton, who were both affiliated with “Fast & Furious.” He claimed that he now has a duty to honor their legacies and support their families. “I gotta make them proud,” he said.

A longer version of the interview, which closes with prayer, can be seen in the 40-minute video below:

Tucker Carlson drops new video on Twitter: ‘Don’t let them rationalize away your intuitive moral sense’

Tucker Carlson posted a second episode of his new Twitter show on Thursday after dropping an enormously successful inaugural episode on Tuesday.

“Cling to your taboos!” the tweet containing Carlson’s new video declared.

In the new episode, Carlson said that American society is “governed by taboos” and that those taboos have been changing, but not naturally. “What we’re allowed to dislike is being dictated to us from above, sometimes by force,” he said.

He went on to say that while it was previously taboo to target people based on their race, punishing individuals on the basis of skin color is now “mandatory” in the realms of business, government, and higher education, provided that “the victims are white.”

He claimed that adultery was once a serious liability in politics that would be viewed as “disqualifying,” but said this is no longer the case. Carlson claimed that “Barack Obama had a strange” as well as “highly creepy personal life.”

They don’t want you to see this … Big Tech does its best to limit what news you see. Make sure you see our stories daily — directly to your inbox.

“One by one, with increasing speed, our old taboos have been struck down. Those that remain have lost their moral force. Stealing, flaunting your wealth, striking women, smoking marijuana on the street, shameless public hypocrisy, taking other people’s money for not working — all of these things” were previously viewed as “unacceptable in America,” Carlson said. “Not anymore.”

Carlson said that child molestation is now “teetering on the edge of acceptability.”

“Don’t let them rationalize away your intuitive moral sense. Cling to your taboos like your life depends on them, because it does. Cherish and protect them like family heirlooms. That’s exactly what they are,” he said.

So far, the tweet containing the video has garnered more than 15 million views.

The tweet containing the first episode of Carlson’s show has racked up more than 108 million views.

Axios reported that after Carlson released the first episode of his new show on Twitter, Fox News told the media personality’s lawyers that he had breached his contract. The outlet said a breach-of-contract claim positions Fox News to explore possible legal action against the media figure.

“Fox defends its very existence on freedom of speech grounds. Now they want to take Tucker Carlson’s right to speak freely away from him because he took to social media to share his thoughts on current events,” Carlson’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said in a statement, according to Axios.

Carlson’s decision to drop a second episode indicates that he remains undeterred.

Girl Scouts offers LGBT patch for attending pride month celebrations, participating in activities

Girl Scouts can earn an LGBT-themed patch by participating in several activities, such as attending a pride parade or creating a rainbow-themed flag, with the organization encouraging members of all levels to celebrate the LGBT movement this month.

In a document directed to troop leaders and guardians, the youth scouting organization Girl Scouts of the USA detailed how child participants can earn the “LGBTQ+ Pride Month Fun Patch.”

The Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scout levels, which consist of younger children, must participate in three pride-related activities to earn the patch. Older Girl Scouts at the Cadette, Senior and Ambassador levels must participate in six activities to earn the patch.

In addition to attending a pride parade with their troop or family, the document encourages all Girl Scout levels to identify five books by LGBT authors to read or create a painting of an LGBT artist. Among the list of other recommended patch-earning activities for all levels are making a music playlist featuring 12 LGBT artists and drawing an admired figure in the LGBT movement.

The document also contains a glossary of LGBT terms, with definitions from the Human Rights Campaign, which the advocacy group designed for elementary school children. The Girl Scouts’ document defines gays and lesbians as individuals who love or are attracted to people of the same gender. It goes on to describe queer people as those who “identify with and celebrate people of all gender identities and all the ways people love each other.” However, the document warned troop leaders that the word “queer” can hurt people when used in a “mean way.”

Regarding the terms “transgender” or “trans,” the youth organization defined these as: “When your gender identity (how you feel) is different than what doctors/ midwives assigned to you when you were born (girl/boy or sex assigned at birth).”

“…ASSIGNED TO YOU….”??????????? These are the same people who screamed at all of us because we weren’t “follow(ing) the science”. What about the real science we’ve had for how many generations?

According to the Girl Scouts’ website, the purpose of allowing troop members to earn the LGBT-themed patch is to “celebrate” the diversity of LGBT individuals and acknowledge the community’s contributions to the nation. The website also noted that “girls of all identities” are encouraged to participate.

The Girls Scouts of the USA did not immediately respond to The Christian Post’s request for comment.

“The Girl Scout LGBTQ+ Pride Month Celebration Fun Patch is designed for Girl Scouts of all levels and their leaders to honor LGBTQ+ history, to celebrate the diverse cultures and identities of LGBTQ+ people, and to acknowledge the many contributions of the LGBTQ+ community has made and continues to make across our nation,” Girl Scouts of the USA states on a webpage for its multicultural community celebrations.

“Girls and leaders have plenty of activities to choose from to earn this fun patch, and we encourage girls of all identities to participate.”

The youth organization received backlash years ago for entering the LGBT cultural war by announcing that it would allow boys who identify as girls to join to be Girl Scouts. As CP reported in May 2015, the GSUSA’s “Chief Girl Expert,” Andrea Bastiani Archibald, wrote in a now-deleted blog post that the organization exists to serve “all girls,” regardless of their biological sex.

“The foundation of diversity that Juliette Gordon Low established runs throughout Girl Scouting to this day,” Archibald wrote. “Our mission to build ‘girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place’ extends to all members, and through our program, girls develop the necessary leadership skills to advance diversity and promote tolerance.”

The American Family Association started an online petition urging GSUSA to change its policy, arguing that the organization has lost its “moral compass” and added, “this policy undermines the trust that parents place in the GSA’s leadership to make wise decisions and the obligation the GSA has to protect their daughters.”

“This means girls in the organization will be forced to recognize and accept transgenderism as a normal lifestyle,” the petition stated. “Boys in skirts, boys in makeup and boys in tents will become a part of the program. This change will put young innocent girls at risk.”

“Adults are willing to experiment on our kids — both the boys who are confused and the girls who will wonder why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them,” the petition added.

The petition is no longer available online, but it garnered at least 35,000 signatures before it was taken down.

The New Mental Illness Leftism Created

By: Tiffany Layne | June 6, 2023

 Read more at https://theblacksphere.net/2023/06/the-new-mental-illness-leftism-created/

Climate change, mental illness

“Eco-anxiety” is the latest buzz-word for younger generations trying to put climate change in perspective. Apparently, it’s a legit mental illness created by lying leftists.

Meet Jennifer Newall. She’s spent years working on the forefront on climate change, as one of the globe’s leading researchers.

The BBC explains:

Her PhD on melting ice sheets and changing sea levels had taken her to Antarctica, Scandinavia and the USA but it was while leading a workshop for primary school children in Glasgow that she began to question what she was doing.

“It dawned on me,” she says. “The physics behind this haven’t changed in my lifetime. They’re not going to change going forward.”

Jennifer says she realized action was needed urgently and she no longer had the passion or motivation to continue studying the effects.

She put her career on hold in order to take more direct action but she found the scale of the challenge overwhelming.

Jennifer is one of a growing number of people who have experienced “eco-anxiety” – a chronic sense of hopelessness and fear of environmental doom.

“It presented itself as depression and anxiety,” she says. She felt completely paralyzed and often unable to get out of bed.

It was during what she describes as her “eco-grief” that 33-year-old Jennifer decided she could not have children.

She says: “I don’t feel like I can have children, because a) the world can’t cope and b) I would feel guilty bringing any child into this world.”

More than half the world’s population actually believe our planet is doomed. Thanks to people like Al Gore and AOC, who sound the false alarms as loud as they can, these people suffer from the guilt surrounding their inability to fix the global climate.

Meanwhile, the very leftists sounding these alarms ‘can’t see the forest for the trees,’ so to say.

Part of the Great Hypocrisy.

Leftists say they care about the environment and cutting our reliance on fossil fuels. However, research says windmill farms have an ugly little secret. “Turbines require lubrication. On average, a 5-MW (megawatt) turbine holds 700 gallons of oil and hydraulic fluid; like car oil, these need replacing every nine to 16 months.”

It gets worse. “When the industry claims that a 5-MW wind facility can power 3200 homes, it usually omits the word “intermittently.” Because wind blows intermittently, IWTs cannot provide uninterrupted, reliable power to a single home, hospital, smelter, factory, data center or bitcoin mine 24/7, 365 days each year. IWTs need continuous backup power available 100% of the time.” In other words, windmills can’t replace the power grid.

Those electric cars aren’t so great for the environment either.

Do you know the facts?

  • EV battery production can adversely impact the environment, such as a loss of biodiversity, air pollution and decreased freshwater supply.
  • EV batteries consist of materials like nickel, lithium, cobalt and others, which are energy-intensive to mine. These minerals are also often mined in regions with a poor environmental record. Take, for example, the lithium mining currently happening in Argentina. According to Time, Argentina accounts for 21% of the world’s lithium reserves and plans are already in place to open 13 more mines (in addition to the two already in production). Many worry the mining could cause massive destruction, corrupt an already fragile ecosystem and pillage the country’s natural resources all in the name of “green progress”.
  • EV battery recycling methods are still in their early stages, but they are not specifically designed to be recycled.
  • EV tires wear out faster due to the heavier weight and increased torque of the vehicle. Expected lifespan on EV tires is only between 30,000 to 40,000 miles. This means you’ll be buying tires more often and thus contributing to increased emissions.

I could go on. We’ve written about Obama’s green energy scams many times, such as the solar letdown. Those companies were nothing but a big fat flop.

Unfortunately, climate change isn’t the only policy leftist hypocrisy continually attacks.

Leftists pretend to care about the economy. However, the almighty dollars is losing value at record speeds. Inflation is rampant. companies are closing, the workforce is crippled. Leftists pretend to care about families. However, the border is no longer secure. Families aren’t safe. Human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking- all continue to grow out of control under this administration. Fentanyl is being manufactured to look like candy so as to attract young children. Unfortunately, one pill kills, and just recently, Texas state troopers seized 3.1 million lethal doses of fentanyl during a single traffic stop in the border town of Mission.

When dealing with leftists, it is just one crisis after another- all riddled with hypocrisy. It’s no wonder we need new mental illness labels just to keep up with the damage leftism does. Sadly, the destruction digs deeper with each passing generation, just waiting for a voice of reason to cut through the confusion and bring common sense back to the front lines.

Alan Dershowitz: Trump indictment doesn’t pass the Richard Nixon test

Harvard University law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says this is the first time in U.S. history that a leading candidate against an incumbent president is criminally indicted by that president.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz warned of the “dangerous” consequences posed by the federal charges launched against former President Donald Trump, arguing the indictment’s “weak” appearance does not meet historic precedent.

“It has to be at least as strong as the case against Richard Nixon, which we will remember led not to Democrats to demand his resignation, but Republicans, his own colleagues came to him and said, this case is so strong that we can’t support you,” Dershowitz said Friday on “Mornings with Maria.”

“I haven’t seen any suggestion that Republicans agree with this indictment,” the professor continued.

Trump himself announced the indictment Thursday on his social media platform, Truth Social. Seven federal charges have emerged out of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s months-long investigation, and reportedly involve obstruction of justice, conspiracy and illegal retention of classified government material.

SUPER PACs FOR TRUMP, DESANTIS AMONG BIGGEST SPENDERS IN 2023 PRESIDENTIAL AD WARS

This is the second time Trump has been indicted this year. The former president pleaded not guilty in April after being charged by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.

“If this indictment is as weak as it appears to be, from what has been disclosed so far, it may be the most dangerous indictment in political history,” Dershowitz said.

“As everybody knows,” he added, “it’s the first time that a man who is the leading candidate against the incumbent president has been indicted by the incumbent administration in an effort to prevent him from running.”

Dershowitz emphasized his belief that the prosecution’s purpose is less for the public good, and more “to go after the leading candidate against the president.”

“It’s an extraordinarily dangerous indictment, potentially dangerous to the rule of law, dangerous to the neutral application of criminal justice, and dangerous to establishing a precedent that each side will weaponize the criminal justice system against their political opponents,” Dershowitz argued. “That’s not America.”

Merrick Garland doesn’t care about the law: Gregg Jarrett

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett and Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz share their insight on former President Donald Trump’s indictment on ‘Hannity.’

American citizens, Dershowitz argued, should be able to cast their votes for those candidates who align with their social, economic or foreign policy views as opposed to “who’s more criminal.”

“Look, I voted, myself, against Trump twice. I have a constitutional right to vote against him a third time on the merits, and that right shouldn’t be taken away from me by politicians, by attorneys general, by judges, by jurors,” the Harvard professor noted.

“It has to be at least as strong as the case against Richard Nixon… I haven’t seen any suggestion that Republicans agree with this indictment.”- Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law School professor emeritus

“If this becomes a politically divided prosecution, where the Republicans are on one side, the Democrats are on the other, it moves the election out of the polling booth to the courthouse,” Dershowitz continued. “And that’s not where elections ought to be held.”

The professor argued there “has to be equal justice” served as he pointed out Republicans will likely speed up their investigation into Hunter Biden and the Biden family foreign business dealings.

Trump charges over classified documents will politically strengthen him: Jason Chaffetz

“If I were a Republican leader, what I would do is draft a potential indictment against Biden and his son based on the information that’s now available, and present that in the court of public opinion in juxtaposition with the indictment that will come down on Tuesday,” Dershowitz said, “and let the public judge whether or not there’s a single standard of justice.”

Trump said he has “been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, at 3 PM.”

Former President Trump was indicted on 37 federal counts, including willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and false statements, according to an unsealed copy of the indictment obtained by Fox News.

Special Counsel Jack Smith unsealed the indictment against the former president Friday.  Trump valet and aide Waltine Nauta was indicted on six federal counts, detailed in the indictment.

Trump first announced he had been indicted on Thursday night. Trump told Fox News Digital he will plead not guilty.

The indictment states that Trump, as president, “had lawful access to the most sensitive classified documents and national defense information gathered and owned by the United States government, including information from the agencies that comprise the United States Intelligence Community and the United States Department of Defense.

“Over the course of his presidency, TRUMP gathered newspapers, press clippings, letters, notes, cards, photographs, official documents, and other materials in cardboard boxes that he kept in the White House,” the indictment states. “Among the materials TRUMP stored in his boxes were hundreds of classified documents.”

“The classified documents TRUMP stored in his boxes included information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack,” the indictment states. “The unauthorized disclosure of these classified documents could put at risk the national security of the United States, foreign relations, the safety of the United States military, and human sources and the continued viability of sensitive intelligence collection methods.”

The special counsel claims that Trump showed classified documents to others in 2021–once in July 2021 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey and once in August or September 2021.

TRUMP, LAWYERS PART WAYS AFTER FEDERAL INDICTMENT

“In July 2021, at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey (The Bedminster Club), during an audio-recorded meeting with a writer, a publisher, and two members of his staff, none of whom possessed a security clearance, TRUMP showed and described a ‘plan of attack’ that TRUMP said was prepared for him by the Department of Defense and a senior military official. TRUMP told the individuals that the plan was ‘highly confidential’ and ‘secret,’” the indictment said. “TRUMP also said, ‘as president I could have declassified it,’ and, ‘Now I can’t, you know, but this is still a secret.'”

In August or September 2021, the special counsel alleges Trump “showed a representative of his political action committee who did not possess a security clearance a classified map related to a military operation and told the representative that he should not be showing it to the representative and that the representative should not get too close.”

The FBI, in March 2022, opened a criminal investigation into the unlawful retention of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. The federal grand jury investigation began in April 2022.

TRUMP INDICTED ON FEDERAL CHARGES RELATED TO DOCUMENT HANDLING AND OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE

“The grand jury issued a subpoena requiring Trump to turn over all documents with classification markings,” the indictment states.

The special counsel alleges Trump “endeavored to obstruct the FBI and grand jury investigations and conceal his continued retention of classified documents” by suggesting that his attorney “falsely represent to the FBI and grand jury” that he “did not have documents called for by the grand jury subpoena.”

The indictment says Trump also suggested his attorney “hide or destroy documents called for by the grand jury subpoena” and directed his aide—defendant Watine Nauta—to “move boxes of documents called for by the grand jury subpoena, while claiming that he was cooperating fully.”

The indictment names Nauta, who served as a White House valet, and later, a personal aide, as Trump’s “co-conspirator.”

Smith says Trump retained classified information originating from the CIA, the Pentagon, the National Security Agency, the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, the Energy Department, the State Department and Bureau of Intelligence and Research.

Smith says Trump retained a document that denoted it was “releasable only to the Five Eyes intelligence alliance consisting of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.”

During the FBI’s unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022, the FBI seized 102 documents with classification markings in Trump’s office and storage room.

In Trump’s office, the indictment states there were 27 classified documents—six marked as top secret, 18 marked as secret, and three marked as confidential. In the storage room, 75 classified documents were found—11 marked as top secret, 36 marked as secret, and 28 marked as confidential.

Trump is charged with 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information—including documents concerning White House intelligence briefings related to various foreign countries; documents concerning military capabilities of a foreign country and the U.S. with handwritten annotation in black marker; a June 2020 document concerning nuclear capabilities of a foreign country; an Oct. 21, 2018 document concerning communications with a leader of a foreign country; an undated document concerning military contingency planning of the U.S.; a document from December 2019 concerning foreign country support of terrorist acts against U.S. interests; an undated document concerning nuclear weaponry of the U.S.; an undated document concerning the timeline and details of an attack in a foreign country; and more.

TRUMP TARGETED: A LOOK AT PROBES INVOLVING THE FORMER PRESIDENT; FROM STORMY DANIELS TO RUSSIA TO MAR-A-LAGO

Trump is also charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice. The indictment says the “purpose” of the conspiracy was for Trump “to keep classified documents he had taken with him from the White House and to hide and conceal them from a federal grand jury.”

Trump and Nauta were both charged with two counts of withholding document or record; and one count of concealing a document in a federal investigation. Trump and Nauta were also charged with one count of “scheme to conceal.”

Trump was also charged with making a false statement in June 2022 when he said a  “diligent search” of Mar-a-Lago was conducted; the search was conducted “after receipt of the subpoena;” and “any and all responsible documents accompany this certification.”

TRUMP AIDE INDICTED IN CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS INVESTIGATION

“The statements and representations set forth above were false, as Trump knew, because Trump had directed that boxes be removed from the Storage Room before Trump attorney 1 conducted the June 2, 2022 search for documents with classification markings, so that Trump attorney 1’s search would not and did not include all of Trump’s boxes that were removed from the White House; Trump attorney 1’s search would not and did not locate all documents responsive to the May 11 subpoena; and all responsive documents were not provided to the FBI and grand jury with the certification,” the indictment states.

“In fact, after June 3, 2022, more than 100 documents with classification markings remained at The Mar-a-Lago Club until the FBI search on August 8, 2022,” the indictment states.

Stop leaking to the media, peddling false narratives, and obstructing congressional oversight into the FBI’s handling of allegations that President Joe Biden was part of a criminal bribery scheme, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told FBI Director Christopher Wray in a floor speech Tuesday.

“Quit playing games,” Grassley said. “The Justice Department and FBI no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt,” he added, pointing to the FBI and Department of Justice’s track record of deception from the Russia-collusion hoax to the present.

Wray “made one excuse after another to not produce” the document detailing the bribery allegation against Biden, Grassley said, even refusing to admit it existed until Grassley revealed to him that he’d already seen a copy. The existence of the explosive allegation, which reportedly describes a Ukrainian energy concern seeking to pay then-Vice President Biden $5 million in return for a policy decision during his time as Ukrainian point man for the Obama administration, was revealed to Grassley by multiple FBI whistleblowers.

The continued practice of leaking false narratives to friendly media outlets instead of complying with constitutional oversight requests particularly bothered Grassley, he said. Everyone knows the “FBI has a penchant for leaking classified information to the media and producing documents to the media,” Grassley said.

Instead of complying with congressional requests, including a subpoena for the document, the FBI and its associates began leaking to Democrat media, in some cases to the exact same media figures they had worked with to spread the false Russia-collusion narrative. Grassley mentioned a May 18 article in The New York Times, likely the one by Adam Goldman, in which the noted Russia-collusion hoaxer wrote a glowing profile of Timothy Thibault that appeared to be sourced to Thibault and the FBI. The profile attempted to discredit decorated FBI agents who opposed his political handling of sensitive investigations.

Thibault was one of the FBI agents who reportedly shut down legitimate investigations into the Biden family business and spoke openly of his animus toward President Trump and former Attorney General Bill Barr. He was reportedly forced out of the bureau last year after questions about his conduct became public. Brian Auten is another FBI official under scrutiny, reportedly for pushing Trump-Russia collusion and inappropriately discrediting Hunter Biden stories.

Other examples of FBI leaks abound. CNN’s Evan Perez was used to push the FBI’s spin on the document Grassley seeks. He famously joined with Jake Tapper and Jim Sciutto to launder the Steele dossier to the American public on Jan. 12, 2017.

To mislead investigators, anonymous sources peddled to Perez the idea that the document was related to allegations supplied by Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor and Republican operative.

“The document has origins in a tranche of documents that Rudy Giuliani provided to the Justice Department in 2020, people briefed on the matter said,” Perez asserted without evidence. It turns out it’s not true. Not only is the document, which details information from a longtime trusted confidential human source, unrelated to the information Giuliani brought to the FBI, it includes information from a previous interview of the source in 2017, three years before the Giuliani inquiry.

Jamie Raskin Is the New Adam Schiff

Still, the unsubstantiated story was enough for Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., to spread the falsehood even further. Raskin is the ranking Democrat on the House’s Oversight Committee, which is investigating FBI mishandling of investigations into the Biden family business. He serves a similar role to the one Adam Schiff played when Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., was attempting to unravel the FBI’s Russia-collusion hoax. Schiff’s office was known for misleading leaks to CNN and other Democrat media outfits. He also falsely claimed for years to have evidence of treasonous collusion with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., is the House member overseeing the attempt to get information from Wray’s FBI. After threatening to hold Wray in contempt, the FBI director had a staffer brief Raskin and Comer on the document.

FBI briefings, leaks to friendly media outlets, and official statements include a frustrating mixture of unsubstantiated insinuations that the documented allegation was legitimately “closed,” contrary to whistleblower claims, were coupled with a refusal to answer questions about the documented allegation or its closing because it is part of an ongoing, “open” investigation. Grassley referenced the Kafka-esque situation in his jeremiad against Wray’s game-playing.

In any case, following his briefing, Raskin came out and claimed his FBI briefing showed him, “[i]n August 2020, Attorney General Barr and his hand-picked U.S. Attorney signed off on closing the assessment, having found no evidence to corroborate Mr. Giuliani’s allegations.”

First off, that’s not true in any way. Not only were these allegations not Giuliani’s, but Barr himself has also stated on the record to The Federalist that the investigation of the allegation was not closed and was in fact sent to the Delaware U.S. attorney for further investigation.

But the lie from Raskin was credulously reported by the Post for further dissemination to left-wing audiences.

Washington Post Joins the FBI Info Op

The Washington Post won a Pulitzer for its role in pushing the information operation the FBI and other malign actors orchestrated against President Donald Trump, in which he was falsely accused of being a traitor who had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. The widespread information operation was so effective that it led to the appointment of a damaging special counsel, the derailing of the Trump administration’s effectiveness, and a large majority of Democrats still believing the falsehood even years after it has been soundly and repeatedly debunked. One of the reporters who shared in the prize was Devlin Barrett, who reportedly spent time with Wray last week.

Along with Perry Stein and Jacqueline Alemany, Barrett helped the FBI and other Democrat operatives attempt a cover-up of the dispute with Congress. They claimed the FBI and Department of Justice, under the guidance of Barr, “reviewed allegations from a confidential informant about Joe Biden and his family, and they determined there were no grounds for further investigative steps,” according to Raskin and “other people familiar with the investigation.”

We already know Raskin’s claims are false. Whether the “other people” mentioned include Wray or other anonymous FBI officials is unclear. What is clear is that the spin is deceptive.

The media and other Democrats ignored the claim that a documented allegation existed. Once Wray finally admitted the document did, in fact, exist, the spin machine worked to say it had been investigated and found lacking. The issue is that Grassley and Comer are not as willing to believe the FBI’s unsubstantiated claims as The Washington “Democracy Dies In Darkness” Post’s operatives are.

Not only do they have whistleblowers telling them in detail that the investigation was not handled properly, but journalistic common sense says the same.

We know that the document, which has repeatedly been described by those who have seen it as “detailed,” was dated June 30, 2020. We also are told that Auten closed the investigation in early August 2020. To believe that the details of a complicated criminal enterprise allegation were fully and legitimately investigated and closed by the FBI in four weeks is almost impossible. It’s particularly difficult to believe given that the FBI is apparently leaking false narratives and refusing to substantiate the implausible claim with anything other than a request that they be trusted to tell the truth.

For comparison, the completely idiotic claim that Carter Page was a Russian spy was investigated for years, including securing four invasive warrants to spy on the individual, using extensive electronic surveillance, deploying human sources against Page, and more. Literally no one believes that the detailed claim from a highly trusted confidential human source who had specifics that matched up with verified Biden shell companies was fully investigated and put to bed in a matter of four weeks. Not even Devlin Barrett believes that, even if he pretends to.

No More FBI Lies

The Russia-collusion hoax perpetrated against the American people by the FBI, Democrats, and the media was remarkably effective. But because it was evil and false, the FBI, Democrats, and the media will have a much more difficult time running the operation with the same level of effectiveness again.

Still, Republicans on the Hill must be much savvier this time around, refusing to go along with the FBI’s misleading leaks for even a moment before they demand full compliance with congressional oversight. The good news is that any patience that Grassley and Comer seemed to have for Wray’s game-playing has already run out.

This story may contain details that are disturbing. If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

A 10-year-old New York school student was reportedly so scared of his bully that he pleaded with his family to let him stay home before he killed himself.

Gianlukas “Lukas” Illescas, a student at the Hillcrest Elementary School in Peekskill, New York, was allegedly bullied for months while district officials “didn’t have time” to address the issue, his dad, Christian Illescas, claimed during an emotional school boarding meeting on Tuesday.

Illescas said he asked district administrators and social workers for help multiple times because his son was scared to go to school for the last six months, according to a report by News12 Westchester.

“Look! Look!” Illescas yelled at the board members while holding a picture of his son on his phone. “You didn’t have time? Five minutes. I don’t know how you can sleep. I don’t know how.”

Illescas said in a GoFundMe post that his son was “robbed of his future” because of the district’s neglect.

“Bullying is responsible for the death of a 10-year-old child!” Illescas wrote. “He will never get to graduate with his friends, make memories alongside his family, and have a life full of choices and adventure! His family and friends are heartbroken and beyond devastated.”

Lukas was “relentlessly bullied by one child,” his dad told ABC News. Before that, he said his son loved to swim and was a “happy, engaging, energetic boy” who loved his family and life at home.

Tragically, Lukas reportedly took his life about two weeks ago.

“I have nothing to lose,” Illescas told ABC News. “My son is gone, so all I want right now is justice for other kids.”

The school district and city of Peekskill, which is a suburb about 45 minutes north of Manhattan, released identical statements Tuesday afternoon that said the police are investigating.

“On behalf of the City of Peekskill, I want to express our condolences on the recent passing of a Hillcrest Elementary School student. Our hearts and prayers are with the family,” the district said. “Let us all unite as a community like we always do and support this family in its time of need.”

However, the reactionary approach is too little, too late for many supporters, who protested and packed Tuesday’s meeting.

“All these parents are here. There are witnesses,” one parent yelled at the board, according to a report by The New York Post. “And we are not taking that anymore. A 10-year-old child had to suffer because of negligence? Because you didn’t take time?”

Bullying — in person and online — is a growing national issue and a “frequent discipline problem,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

FATHER OF ADRIANA KUCH SPEAKS OUT FOLLOWING DAUGHTER’S DEATH AFTER BULLYING, CALLS FOR LAWS TO PROTECT KIDS

About one in five high school students reported being bullied on school property, and more than one in six high school students reported being bullied online in the last year, according to the CDC. Nearly 14% of public schools report that bullying is a discipline problem occurring daily or at least once a week, the CDC says.

The federal government provided resources for parents, victims and school districts on stopbullying.gov, which is managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

“When adults respond quickly and consistently to bullying behavior they send the message that it is not acceptable,” the website states. “Research shows this can stop bullying behavior over time.

“Parents, school staff, and other adults in the community can help kids prevent bullying by talking about it, building a safe school environment, and creating a community-wide bullying prevention strategy.”

Asian-American student with 1590 SAT score rejected by 6 elite colleges, blames affirmative action

For now, Students for Fair Admissions has but one goal in mind: to bring race-based college admissions to an end.

The affirmative action practice that has allegedly sidelined high-achieving Asian Americans now sits before the U.S. Supreme Court, awaiting a decision that, depending on the outcome, could alter the review process for college applications for the foreseeable future.

Its fate could also weigh heavily on the academic futures of people like 18-year-old Jon Wang, a Florida native who scored a 1590 out of 1600 on the SAT, with a perfect score on the math section. Combined with a 4.65 high school GPA, most would see him as a shoo-in for any elite university.

Somehow, the numbers still weren’t high enough.

SUPREME COURT TO HEAR CASE THAT COULD END 40 YEARS OF RACE-BASED AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IN UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS

“The top-tier schools I applied to were MIT, CalTech, Princeton, Harvard, Carnegie-Mellon and U.C. Berkeley,” he said.

Wang was rejected by all of them.

But the rejection letters didn’t come without warning. Wang told Fox Nation he talked to friends and school guidance counselors going into the application process, and they all issued a bizarre warning.

“They all told me that it’s tougher to get in, especially as an Asian American. I just took it as gospel,” he said.

Wang, the child of two first-generation Chinese immigrants, is one of the people behind the plaintiff group taking on Harvard University and the University of North Carolina — two institutions whose race-based admissions practices have emerged at the epicenter of affirmative action practices for public and private institutions.

He shared his story in the Fox Nation special “The Diversity Verdict,” which is now available for streaming.

Fox News’ Laura Ingraham hosts, walking subscribers through the court case that could shape the future of higher education and shift focus to a merit-based system.

JUSTICES HEAR ARGUMENTS OVER AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IN HARVARD, UNC SUPREME COURT CASES

Last fall, the high court heard two cases dealing with the issue, deciding to keep them separate since Harvard is a private institution and UNC is public, creating distinct legal concerns.

At stake in the Harvard case is whether the university violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act by discriminating against Asian-American applicants. The UNC case, in contrast, looks at that school’s unwillingness to adopt a “race-neutral alternative.”

Either of the two cases could overturn 2003 precedent case Grutter v. Bollinger, wherein the court ultimately ruled that the use of race as an admissions factor was not unconstitutional as long as it was narrowly tailored to further the compelling interests of obtaining the educational benefits available in a diverse student body.

But, is getting accepted to college more difficult for Asian American applicants? Ingraham said The Princeton Review, a company that provides college prep and test-taking advice for high schoolers hoping to go to college, agrees with Wang’s concern.

A passage from its book “Cracking College Admissions” notes that the high success of many Asian-American students has generated concerns among some schools who allege there are “too many” on their campuses.

The two Supreme Court cases in subject deal with the admissions policies of Harvard and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. (Fox News)

As explored in the Fox Nation special, the book says applying to college as an Asian American could be a “distinct disadvantage” at many elite schools. It also instructs applicants to refrain from including a photo of themselves in their application and withhold optional answers about ethnic background, if possible, as well as to avoid writing admissions essays about the significance of identifying with two cultures.

“I was scared of getting backlash on social media for it [raising awareness about unfair admissions],” Wang said. “For fighting for what I think is a really important issue.”

But he found a space among Students for Fair Admissions.

“I gave them my test scores, and then they must’ve ran the model on that… [they] told me I had a 20% chance of getting accepted to Harvard as an Asian American and a 95% chance as an African American,” he said.

Wang also found a home at the Georgia Institute of Technology — better known as Georgia Tech — a high-profile Atlanta-based university that specializes in engineering and other STEM degrees.

Despite the risk of backlash in his career and elsewhere, he said he’s never going to stop fighting for the right cause and for future generations of Asian Americans.

Decisions in Students for Fair Admissions v. University of North Carolina and Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College could come before July 4.

Biden Unveils LGBT Proposals in Bid to Counter States’ Rollback

President Joe Biden unveiled new initiatives Thursday to protect LGBTQ+ communities, though he had to hastily postpone a big Pride Month celebration on the White House lawn with thousands of guests from around the country because of poor air quality from the Canadian wildfires.

The event, which will now be held on Saturday, was intended to be a high-profile show of support at a time when members of the LGBT community say they’re  under attack like never before.

The Biden administration’s new initiatives are said to be aimed at protecting LGBT communities from attack, helping young people with mental health issues and homelessness, and countering book bans, though the effects may be limited.

Biden was to discuss them at the event, which the White House had said would be the largest Pride Month celebration ever held there.

Thousands of guests had been invited from around the country for an evening filled with food, games and other activities on the South Lawn. Queen HD the DJ was handling the music, and singer Betty Who was on tap to perform.

But the nation’s capital by late morning Thursday was under a “code purple” air quality alert, the fifth-highest level on the six-level U.S. air quality index, with authorities recommending that everyone limit their exposure to the hazardous smoke wafting south from Canada. District of Columbia schools canceled all outdoor activities for a second day Thursday, and the National Zoo also closed.

The White House initially resisted altering its plans for the celebration, saying there were no changes, even as the air quality steadily worsened along the East Coast on Wednesday and into Thursday.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the first openly gay White House press secretary, said Wednesday that Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and their spouses are strong supporters of the LGBT community and think a celebration is an important way to “lift up” their accomplishments and contributions. She said the community needs to know Biden “has their back” and “will continue to fight for them. And that’s the message that we want to make sure that gets out there.”

The Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer individuals, earlier this week declared a state of emergency for LGBT individuals in the United States and released a guidebook outlining laws it deems discriminatory in each state.

Just a few days into June’s Pride Month, the campaign said it acted in response to a spike in discriminatory laws sweeping statehouses this year, with more than 525 anti-LGBT bills introduced and more than 70 signed into law so far — more than double last year’s number.

STOP!!! STOP!!! STOP!!! STOP!!! How blind can you be to not see that the majority of Americans are fed up with all this LGBTQLKVURFCUVIBUONBUVFO) being shoved down our throats, as well as our children and grandchildren? Do you think that’s where all these 525 laws originated from. Keep your lifestyle choices to yourself. Stop pushing them on to the rest of America.

Kelley Robinson, the campaign’s president, called for a “swift and powerful” response by people in power, including in government, business and education.

“This is a full-out crisis for our communities that demands a concerted response,” she said in an interview with The Associated Press. “I think this is kind of a national call to action and a call to arms to stand up and fight back.”

Biden, a Democrat, announced that the Department of Homeland Security, working with the Justice and Health and Human Services departments, will partner with LGBT community organizations to provide safety resources and training to help thwart violent attacks.

Separately, HHS and the Department of Housing and Urban Development will provide resources to help LGBT young people with mental health needs, support in foster care and homelessness.

To confront a spike in book bans, the Department of Education’s civil rights office will appoint a new coordinator to work with schools to address that threat. The White House said banning books erodes democracy, deprives students of material needed for learning and can contribute to the stigma and isolation that LGBTQ+ youth feel because books about them are often the ones that are prohibited.

The White House points to Biden’s support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer individuals. He has appointed many to prominent positions in the White House, such as Jean-Pierre, and throughout the federal government. He signed legislation to protect marriage equality and continues to urge Congress to send him the Equality Act, which would add civil rights protections for LGBT individuals to federal law.

Polls show public support for the rights of people who are gay and lesbian has expanded dramatically over the last two decades.

But attitudes toward transgender people are complex: In polls conducted in 2022 by KFF and the Washington Post and by the Pew Research Center, majorities said they support laws prohibiting discrimination against transgender people in areas such as housing, jobs and schools.

At the same time, though, both polls found that a majority of Americans think that whether someone is a man or a woman is determined by sex assigned at birth, and many also support restrictive policies aimed at people who are transgender, for example preventing transgender women and girls from participating in sports teams matching their gender identity, along with restrictions on access to medical treatment like puberty blockers and hormone treatment for transgender teens and children.

Scalise: ‘Lot of Anger’ for Speaker McCarthy ‘to Resolve’

By Eric Mack    |   Thursday, 08 June 2023 02:34 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/politics/steve-scalise-kevin-mccarthy-house/2023/06/08/id/1122863/

With House conservatives having shut down the chamber over House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s deal-making with President Joe Biden, there are conversations going on to try to bring the caucus back together.

It might have to be done amid a developing rift between McCarthy, R-Calif., and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., the GOP’s No. 2 as potential movement toward a possible notice to vacate looms, according to Punchbowl News.

“There was a lot of anger being expressed,” Scalise told the Capitol Hill insiders’ blog on Thursday morning. “And frankly, you know … a lot of the anger they expressed was that they felt they were misled by the speaker during the negotiations in January on the speaker vote.

“Whatever commitments were made, they felt like he misled them, and broke promises, and they expressed that.”

While more than a dozen House conservatives have blocked rules on four bills this week, effectively shutting down the chamber, there are some allegations coming from Rep. Andrew Clyde, R-Ga., about being pressured to back the speaker’s debt-ceiling compromise with Biden under the threat his pistol-brace bill would not reach the House floor.

There is “a lot of anger on a lot of sides of our conference,” Scalise admitted to Punchbowl News.

“[McCarthy has] got to resolve those issues with those members who have those feelings. You know, I’m working on getting the pistol-brace bill passed, and we’re bringing it next week.”

McCarthy remains unfazed about talk of a potential threat of disenfranchised fiscal conservatives making a motion to vacate him from leadership.

“We’ve been through this before,” McCarthy told reporters Wednesday. “We’re the small majority.

“You work through this and you’re going to be stronger.”

The notice to vacate is a move to call for a vote of no confidence for the House speaker, which could lead to another round of contentious votes to determine the House GOP leader.

“There’s a lack of confidence,” according to Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., “with the speaker and leadership, and we told him that; we told him this [Tuesday].”

Scalise, who has not challenged McCarthy’s leadership, told Punchbowl News the issue is on McCarthy’s plate after he cut deals to get his speaker’s gavel after 15 rounds of voting in January.

“I don’t know what those promises were,” Scalise said. “[I] understand some of them went and talked to [McCarthy] and when they left they still publicly were expressing anger with him over what they perceived as broken promises, and that’s got to get resolved.

“I don’t know what the promises were. I wasn’t part of that. … So, I still don’t know what those agreements were. Whatever they are, [conservatives] feel that the agreements were broken. That’s got to get resolved. Hopefully it does.”

Not only did the conservatives object to the deal with Biden as insufficient, they claim it violated the terms of an agreement they had reached with McCarthy to roll back spending even further, to 2022 levels, to make him speaker.

“There was an agreement in January,” Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., told reporters after he left the speaker’s office Wednesday morning. “And it was violated in the debt-ceiling bill.”

McCarthy insists the agreement he made during the speakers race to roll back spending to 2022 was not a guaranteed outcome, only a goal. Besides, the debt deal has a provision that would automatically return spending to the 2022 level if Congress fails to put in place all the funding bills by January.

“We never promised we’re going to be all at ’22 levels — I said we would strive to get to the ’22 level or the equivalent amount,” McCarthy said Wednesday. “We’ve met all that criteria.”

McCarthy also said he’s not opposed to more funding for Ukraine, but he wants to see exactly what’s needed rather than simply agree to undoing the spending caps that he negotiated with Biden and that were just signed into law.

For now, McCarthy and his leadership team need to just figure out how to bring the House chamber back into session.

“This is insane,” Rep. Steve Womack, R-Ark., said. “This is not the way a governing majority is expected to behave, and frankly, I think there will be a political cost to it.”

The bills on tap this week were not the most pressing on the agenda, but are popular among Republicans and carry important political messages even if they have no chance of becoming law.

Among them is a pair of bills related to gas stoves, including one that would prohibit the use of federal funds to regulate gas stoves as a hazardous product.

House action came to a sudden halt midday Tuesday when the band of conservatives refused to support a routine procedural vote to set the rules schedule for the day’s debate. It was the first time since 2002 a routine rules vote was defeated.

Ann Coulter Op-ed: CNN: If It Bores, It Scores!

CNN: If It Bores, It Scores!

Anticipating this brutal column, CNN has just fired Chris Licht. If the next chairman plans to last any longer, he’d better implement these changes right away!

At the risk of raising a topic even more boring than Ukraine, let’s talk about what’s happening at CNN. There was a major article (i.e., long) in The Atlantic this week about the civil war erupting at CNN over the new CEO, Chris Licht, and his attempt to turn the network into one that people want to watch.

The point of the article was to show that Licht is failing — CNN employees don’t like him, no one understands what he’s trying to do, and ratings are worse than ever.

But what the article actually illustrated is how completely out of touch the media are with normal people. Any effort undertaken by these dolts to reform themselves is doomed to failure.

Licht and his bosses aren’t idiots. They know what the problem is. Their idea is to move CNN away from doomsday MSNBC-style reporting where “everything is an 11” and appeal to a “broader viewership that crave[s] sober, fact-driven coverage.”

Good idea, right?

But Licht has no idea how to do it, and no one else in the media does either — not The Atlantic, not CNN employees, not The New York Times.

They all seem to believe it’s a binary choice: Either left-wing zealots hysterically announcing BREAKING NEWS about Trump 24-7; or … a one-hour interview with Jill Biden.

Wait — what?

Yes, that was one of Licht’s ideas for raking in the viewers. As the Times explained:

“Since Mr. Licht’s 9 p.m. experiment, ‘CNN Primetime,’ … viewership has fallen below what the network was drawing in the time slot just a few months ago.

“At 9 p.m. on March 8, more Americans watched ‘Homicide Hunter: The Man With No Face’ on the Investigation Discovery cable network than CNN’s exclusive interview with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine. Two days earlier, an afternoon broadcast of ‘Ancient Aliens’ on the History Channel drew a bigger audience than a 9 p.m. interview with the first lady, Jill Biden.”

Say, does anyone at CNN know any actual human beings? How could a one-hour interview with Jill Biden not be ratings gold?

Why is our only choice Rachel Maddow or Watching Paint Dry?

The problem isn’t so much how news is covered, it’s what news is covered. Licht should check out Twitter sometime — also the U.K.’s Daily Mail, if he ever wants to know what’s happening in this country.

Here are a few good stories that I’ll bet CNN didn’t mention at all, certainly not with the lavish coverage given to Ukraine, a country of absolutely no relevance to any American’s life (until we get into a nuclear exchange with the Russkies, thanks in part to CNN’s warmongering).

At a congressional hearing last month, House members heard from the mother of 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton, who was raped and murdered in Aberdeen, Maryland, last year by an MS-13 member from El Salvador. He entered the United States as an “unaccompanied minor” despite a lengthy criminal history in his home country, which our government never checked.

Also last month, Washington state enacted a law allowing minors to hide out from their parents at private homes and homeless shelters in order to undergo gender transitions.

How about a report on the total destruction of Portland, Oregon, by a “progressive” district attorney? Also San Francisco, Chicago and Los Angeles. Has CNN aired any stories on skyrocketing crime in America? There are armed robberies and homeless people on Rodeo Drive!

Would anyone be interested in finding out who was funding Jeffrey Epstein or why Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gave Jared Kushner $2 billion six months after he left the White House?

Like the rest of the media, CNN seems to have traded “If It Bleeds, It Leads!” for “If It Bores, It Scores!” Just because it’s boring doesn’t mean it’s important.

Licht told The Atlantic: “Americans were starving … for a network without perceived partisan loyalties; for a source of authoritative, follow-the-facts reporting.” But we don’t get the facts from CNN — unless how often Jill Biden talks to her husband is a crucial fact missing from the public dialogue.

Here’s some “follow the facts” reporting CNN absolutely refuses to do. The network provides breathless bulletins whenever there’s a mass shooting, but as soon as the suspect turns out NOT to be a straight white male, it’s back to Ukraine.

Somewhere in the media right now (probably MSNBC), someone is talking about Dylann Roof, the monster who murdered nine people at a black church in South Carolina. That happened eight years and three presidents ago. But mass shootings this year keep mysteriously disappearing from the news.

January: two mass shootings of Asians in California just days apart, including the deadliest shooting in Los Angeles history. Eighteen killed in all. Gunmen in both cases Chinese immigrants, Huu Can Tran and Chunli Zhao.

The end!

February: Active shooter at Michigan State University kills three students, sends five to hospital. Gunman: Anthony Dwayne McRae, a 43-year-old black man.

The end!

March: mass shooting at a Christian school in Nashville, killing three 9-year-olds and three adults. Gunman: Audrey Elizabeth Hale, a transgender.

The end!

      But she left a manifesto!

Media: Go away. We’re not interested.

April: horrific shooting at a 16-year-old’s birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama, leaving four dead — three of them teenagers — and wounding 32 others. Arrested: Johnny Letron Brown, Willie George Brown Jr., Wilson LaMar Hill, Travis McCullough and Tyreese McCullough.

The end!

Last day of April: slaughter of five family members, including a 9-year-old boy, all shot execution-style, in Texas. Arrested: an illegal from Mexico.

The end!

Would covering stories like these turn CNN into a “right-wing” network? Only if facts are “right-wing.”

Instead of providing news that might be of some slight interest to viewers, Licht’s other idea for bringing back viewers — aside from boring them to death — is to balance out left-wing fanatics (representing 10% of America) with right-wing fanatics (also representing 10% of America).

Thus, two weeks ago, Licht produced a town hall with Donald Trump that he purposely stacked with an “extra Trumpy” audience, as he told The Atlantic.

Gee, thanks pal. It’s like trying to appeal to Muslims by holding a town hall with Mohamed Atta.

Is there no television network for people who want exciting news stories, but aren’t endlessly fascinated by either Trump or Jill Biden? A network that showed nothing but paint drying would be better than this.

Jason Whitlock Op-ed: Thanks to Bud Light, ‘Pride Month’ is off to a cowardly start

The destruction of Bud Light destroyed Pride Month.

We should all take a bow. We claimed another important victory in the culture war. It’s the second major victory in a calendar year. Last June, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ending federalized abortion-on-demand.

I have to admit, I’m a bit shocked. I had turned rather cynical and defeatist. Satan conquers the mind and then the body. The forces of evil and immorality want us to believe defeat is inevitable. It is not. Pride Month proves it.

We are six days into the secular holiday of Pride, and so far, it is easily the most understated and quiet kickoff to Pride in a decade. The corporate commercial campaign that usually accompanies this month has retreated. Major corporations fear provoking a Bud Light backlash.

On April 1, transgender conman Dylan Mulvaney posted a video on Instagram showing a Bud Light can featuring his image and celebrating his “girlhood.” The post triggered immediate outrage and anger among conservatives tired of corporate-sponsored LGBTQIA+ activism. Singers Kid Rock and Travis Tritt displayed public outrage. Conservative social media influencers called for a boycott of Bud Light. Anheuser-Busch stock immediately plummeted. Beer-drinkers stopped buying Bud. The boycott has cost Anheuser stockholders roughly $15 billion.

A month later, retailer Target faced a similar boycott backlash after unveiling “tuck-friendly” swimwear for kids.

Again, I’m shocked. Christians and conservatives have finally figured out an effective way of fighting back in the culture war. Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter has provided traditional Americans a way to mobilize, organize, and push back against progressives and their Alphabet Mafia.

I expected this June to be filled with more culture-war fireworks. They haven’t materialized because the Alphabet soldiers are running scared. Corporate brands are relatively silent during this Pride Month. Yesterday, the Daily Digital ran a story detailing how many major brands have fallen silent this Pride Month via social media when in previous years their feeds were filled with “rainbow” messaging.

This war is not over. But at least now we’ve learned how to fight back. That’s the critical element of any war. Protesting in the streets is not effective. Any public protest involving Christians and/or conservatives will be branded as racist or nationalist. The FBI will plant informants at the rally, label them “Oath Keepers” or “Proud Boys,” and instruct corporate media shills at Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN to report about the “white supremacists” who organized an insurrection.

Organized, online boycotts are our best weapon. That’s our pivot. They will pivot, too. That’s what happens in war: s**t rolls downhill. That means more pressure on Alphabet foot soldiers. I’ll give you an example:

Yesterday, ESPN broadcaster Jalen Rose, a former NBA basketball star, interviewed Billy Porter, the flamboyant, cross-dressing actor. Rose positioned Porter as a courageous freedom-fighter.

Rose is a puppet for ESPN/Disney and other corporate brands. Corporations will send their individual soldiers to the frontlines of the LGBTQ war. At the moment, it’s too high-risk for a major corporation to fly the Pride flag prominently. It could trigger a boycott. Instead, corporations will gently nudge individual soldiers to storm the beaches.

It’s all very subtle and clever. ESPN/Disney is in the process of laying off thousands of employees. An overpriced underachiever such as Rose is very vulnerable. Rose’s agency and handlers have instructed him on the best strategy to win favor at Disney: swallowing every inch of the Pride flag pole.

Rose is like a lot of past-their-prime entertainers. He has no discernible, marketable skill. He’s not particularly bright. He adds no real value to ESPN. He’s addicted to fame and celebrity privilege. There is nothing he’s unwilling to do to protect his celebrity status.

Bending over for Billy Porter is light work.

The Alphabet Mafia is going to emasculate every man who stands with it. This will be another victory for the men and women who choose to stand with God. We get to keep our bats and balls.

I entered this month dejected and gloomy. One week into it, my optimism has returned. The other side lacks the courage for its alleged convictions. Corporate support for the LGBTQ is solely tied to money. The shareholders and owners are not willing to sacrifice a drop of market share to proclaim their belief that Dylan Mulvaney is a woman and that kids need gender-mutilating health care.

We’re fighting cowards. If we lose this war, it says more about us than it does about them.

CNN Internal Survey Shows Viewers Lost Trust In Network Over ‘Sensational’ Covid Coverage

Viewers lost trust in CNN due to its left-wing bias and histrionic Covid reporting, according to a 2022 survey commissioned by the network. Despite collecting bogus awards for “fact-checking,” and “special achievements” for “placing a premium” on investigative reporting, the network failed to maintain the trust of the American people — to the point where its own internal survey exposed its epic shortcomings.

A partial copy of CNN’s survey was cited by Semafor’s Max Tani, who noted that the three highest causes of mistrust were “liberal bias,” the “Chris Cuomo situation,” and the network’s Covid coverage. According to Tani, the report showed respondents “across the ideological spectrum” lambasting CNN’s “dire” and “overly dramatic and sensational” reporting.

In utter detachment from the real world, legacy media toadies rewarded the untrustworthy network. CNN’s chief medical correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who was central to the network’s Covid sensationalism and fake fact-checking, received an award for “excellence in political journalism” and was praised for “accurate information.” Meanwhile, the CNN team that reported from Chinese quarantine received an award named after a reporter murdered in the Greek Civil War.

[READ: If You Want To Know Why Conservatives Don’t Trust Media, Watch CNN]

News of the report comes as network CEO Chris Licht faces significant criticism for his response to CNN’s Covid coverage, which was aired in a feature by The Atlantic. In it, Licht — who reportedly “felt he was on a mission to restore the network’s reputation for serious journalism” — admitted CNN’s coverage began with a desire to help people in a confusing pandemic era but was ultimately driven by “ratings.” He has since apologized for his remarks, but CNN’s own survey results suggest his statements were based on public sentiment and statistics known to the company.

Outside sources confirm trust in CNN is declining. A Statista survey released a few months before Licht’s hiring last year showed only 20 percent of Americans placed “a lot” of trust in CNN — and it hasn’t improved under the new CEO. In April, YouGov found that only 13 percent of U.S. adults consider CNN “very trustworthy.”

Doreen Denny Op-ed: Biden’s Title IX debacle is so horrible even his own administration is admitting it

A lawsuit settlement against a Vermont high school that retaliated against a brave female athlete and her father for speaking out against a biological male in the girls’ locker room has just vindicated Blake Allen’s cause and the justifiable outrage against transactivism sabotaging women’s rights. It has further exposed the illegitimacy of the Biden administration’s tone-deaf determination to rewrite Title IX in favor of men who “identify” as women.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona should back off his indefensible Title IX rules that has now been placed on hold until October.

During a recent hearing on Capitol Hill, Cardona knew he would be in the hot seat facing questions from a congressional committee examining his department’s policies and priorities. But no one expected to hear Cardona admit that forcing women athletes to undress in the locker room with biological males like University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) swimmer Lia Thomas amounts to sexual harassment.

ESPN HOSTING ANNUAL PRIDE FLAG-RAISING AMID CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING OWN REPORTER’S SUPPORT FOR RILEY GAINES

Appearing before the House Education and Workforce Committee, Cardona knew he would be questioned on his proposed rewrite of Title IX, which requires schools to let males self-identifying as women participate on female sports teams.

In her opening statement, Chairwoman Virginia Foxx, R-NC, called out the Biden administration’s radical Title IX agenda granting any man the right to claim “womanhood” and compete in women’s sports:

“Under your Department’s regime, self-identification is deemed sufficient for a man to be a legal ‘woman’ and therefore compete in women’s sports. And one could self-identify as a man on one day and a woman the very next day.”

A public comment period on Biden’s proposed rule forcing a “gender identity” mandate in school sports had ended less than 24 hours before Cardona’s appearance, flooding the department with opposition. The rule threatens to withhold federal funding from any school that won’t allow males identifying as women on female athletic teams.

Before the hearing, committee Republicans urged Cardona to withdraw this rogue Title IX rule which stands in direct opposition to the recently passed Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.

Freshman Rep. Erin Houchin, R-Ind., waited her turn until the final hour of the marathon hearing to question Cardona about a related question of sexual harassment under Title IX:

Houchin: Do you believe that requiring those women to undress in front of Lia Thomas and allowing Lia Thomas to undress in front of female athletes constitutes sexual harassment, yes or no?

Cardona: I don’t believe students should, be, feel unsafe in any locker room.

Houchin: Do you believe that it constitutes sexual harassment to force women to undress in front of biological males?

Video

Cardona: I do believe forcing, uh, forcing women to undress in front of biological males is a concern and sexual … yes.

Houchin: So, if Lia Thomas identifies as male, would requiring female swimmers to dress with him have constituted sexual harassment?…

Cardona: I think I know the line of questioning, and I’d be happy to… it’s not a yes or no question for me.

Cardona is forced to admit the obvious. It’s the only common-sense position: Yes, forcing women to share a locker room with a nude male against their will constitutes sexual harassment. But Cardona finds himself trapped in defending that position. The tentacles of transactivism ruling the Biden administration have tightened their grip to the point of suffocating common sense and common decency. All female athletes are held hostage to the ideological activism on display in Cardona’s appearance before Congress and on the pages of federal rulemaking.

The NCAA has a history of throwing women under the bus, but throwing a naked male in their locker room against their consent is sexual harassment violating their rights under Title IX.

Female athletes are also held hostage by National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) policies which forced female swimmers to suit up with a naked Lia Thomas in the UPenn women’s locker room and at the 2022 NCAA championships. Over a year later, the NCAA’s admission of wrongdoing, apology, and change in policy is nowhere to be found.

Ironically, while Cardona was testifying, former NCAA champion swimmer Riley Gaines, who raced against Lia Thomas, was testifying before a House Homeland Security subcommittee. She told them about how she was held hostage by leftist activists for ransom at San Francisco State University after she gave a speech recounting her experience racing against Thomas and being exposed to Thomas’ frontal nudity while suiting up in the locker room.  This is exactly the real scenario of sexual exploitation that Houchin was smart to address with Cardona at the hearing. NCAA President Charlie Baker better be listening – the Education Secretary has alleged that forcing NCAA women swimmers to suit up with biological male Thomas in the locker room was sexual harassment. The NCAA is guilty as charged.

The NCAA has a history of throwing women under the bus, but throwing a naked male in their locker room against their consent is sexual harassment violating their rights under Title IX.

Athletics is not the only example of biological men invading college female spaces in their desire to be “women.” Kappa Kappa Gamma members at the University of Wyoming are being harassed by the sexual fantasies of a trans-identifying male pledge with unfettered access to the private floors of their sorority house.

Despite his admission, Cardona and his commander in chief continue to abandon women at the altar of “transwomen” idolatry. Americans are not fools. This isn’t a comedy sketch. Classifying drag queens as “marginalized women,” celebrating anemic Dylan Mulvaney caricatures of womanhood, and promoting males like Lia Thomas in women’s sports are producing a horror show of sex discrimination against women.

Cardona just admitted that trans-identifying males undressing in female locker rooms constitutes sexual harassment in violation of Title IX. Now he needs to act to stop the exploitation of women by abandoning his foolish Title IX rules and taking action against NCAA institutions.

Rep. Comer Releases Resolution Holding Wray in Contempt

By Charlie McCarthy    |   Wednesday, 07 June 2023 11:12 AM EDT

The House Committee on Oversight and Accountability released its resolution and accompanying report Wednesday recommending that FBI Director Christopher Wray be found in contempt of Congress for his refusal to comply with a subpoena. Wray has refused to turn over an unclassified whistleblower document that apparently alleges a $5 million bribery scheme on behalf of then-Vice President Joe Biden and his family with an “adversarial” foreign country.

Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., announced Monday that a House hearing was planned for Thursday to consider holding Wray in contempt of Congress. The resolution released Wednesday concludes that “Wray’s actions impeded and caused meaningful delays to the Committee’s ability to perform its Constitutional oversight duties. As Director Wray and his staff have willfully failed to comply with the Committee’s subpoena, it is necessary to enforce the subpoena.”

Comer released a statement with the resolution.

“We have been clear that the FBI must produce the unclassified FD-1023 record to the custody of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. To date, the FBI has refused to comply with our lawfully issued subpoena and even refused to admit the record’s existence up until a week ago,” Comer said in the release.

“Once Director Wray confirmed the record’s existence, the FBI started their coverup by leaking a false narrative to the media.”

Comer added that the case “is not closed as the White House, Democrats, and the FBI would have the American people believe.”

“The FBI created this record based on information from a credible informant who has worked with the FBI for over a decade and paid six figures. The informant had first-hand conversations with the foreign national who claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Biden,” Comer said.

“And now, [former] Attorney General [Bill] Barr has confirmed that the record was given to the U.S. Attorney in Delaware for the purpose of that investigation.”

The Trump administration Justice Department under Barr reviewed the whistleblower claim in the unclassified document, and the DOJ or FBI decided against acting on it.

Comer is determined to find out why.

“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability,” the chairman said. “The Oversight Committee must follow the facts for the American people and ensure the federal government is held accountable.”

RNC Bolsters Early Voting Ahead of 2024 Elections

By Peter Malbin    |   Wednesday, 07 June 2023 02:21 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/early-voting-republican-national-committee-bank-your-vote/2023/06/07/id/1122722/

The Republican National Committee is launching a campaign to boost early voting ahead of the 2024 election cycle. Named “Bank Your Vote,” the initiative aims to educate Republican voters on how to “lock in their votes as early as possible,” including through absentee voting and in-person early voting, the Washington Examiner reported.

“To beat Joe Biden and the Democrats in 2024, we must ensure that Republicans bank as many pre-Election Day votes as possible,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said. “Banking votes early needs to be the focus of every single Republican campaign in the country.”

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., and Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., will co-chair the initiative. Republicans established BankYourVote.com and plan to partner with state parties and campaigns to outline the processes for 56 states and territories, the Washington Examiner reported.

“With innovative technology to educate voters and safeguards in place to secure the process, Republicans are prepared to win up-and-down the ballot in 2024,” Donalds said in a statement.

Bank Your Vote will use GOP infrastructure, including the party’s digital and data team as well as its election integrity team, to enhance the effort, the Washington Examiner noted.

“To take back the White House and Senate and strengthen our House majority in 2024, Republicans must play the game by today’s rules, which means maximizing our efforts to bank votes before Election Day,” Hagerty said. “We cannot afford to sacrifice most of the opportunities to bank votes in key states while Democrats run up the score.”

Republicans have not learned to vote early, author Dick Morris told Newsmax late last year, noting that in the 2022 U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania, Democrat John Fetterman received 700,000 early votes and Republican Mehmet Oz got fewer than 100,000.

“I believe we lost a series of these elections not because of mispositioning, not because of Trump fatigue or anything like that, but simply because of people won’t come out to vote early,” Morris said.

Early voting permits citizens to cast ballots in person at a polling place prior to an election. In states that permit no-excuse early voting, a voter does not have to provide an excuse for being unable to vote on Election Day, according to Ballotpedia.com.

Early voting can also take place by mail-in ballot or through drop boxes.

“It’s not true. It wasn’t closed down,” William Barr told The Federalist on Tuesday in response to Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin’s claim that the former attorney general and his “handpicked prosecutor” had ended an investigation into a confidential human source’s allegation that Joe Biden had agreed to a $5 million bribe. “On the contrary,” Barr stressed, “it was sent to Delaware for further investigation.”

Former Attorney General Barr went on the record with The Federalist following statements Raskin made to the press Monday afternoon. Soon after attending a closed-door meeting with House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer and the FBI — at which lawmakers reviewed the FD-1023 form summarizing a CHS’s detailed allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions — Raskin spoke to the media.

“What I learned,” Raskin claimed, “was that Attorney General Barr named Scott Brady, who was the U.S. attorney for Western Pennsylvania, to head up a group of prosecutors who would look into all the allegations related to Ukraine.”

“After Rudy Giuliani surfaced these allegations,” Raskin continued, Brady’s team looked into the FD-1023 and “in August determined that there was no grounds to escalate from an initial assessment to a preliminary investigation,” and so “they called an end to the investigation.”

The Maryland Democrat then reiterated his claim that this was “under Attorney General William Barr and his handpicked prosecutor Mr. Brady, who was a Trump appointee.” “They were the ones who decided” there were no further grounds for investigation, Raskin’s claimed, adding: “If there is a complaint, it is with Attorney General William Barr, the Trump Justice Department, and the team that the Trump administration appointed to look into it.”

Raskin would then double down on his claim that it was Barr and Brady who closed down the investigation, issuing a press release saying that in August 2020, Barr and his “hand-picked U.S. Attorney” signed off on closing an assessment into the FD-1023 form that memorialized the CHS’s claims.

But that’s just not true, according to the former attorney general. Instead, the confidential human source’s claims detailed in the FD-1023 were sent to the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office for further investigation, according to Barr. That, however, was just one of Raskin’s deceptions: The ranking member of the House Oversight Committee also falsely suggested the CHS’s allegations were related to the investigation of information Rudy Giuliani had unearthed of the Biden family corruption in Ukraine.

Not so, according to an individual familiar with the investigation who told The Federalist that the CHS and the FD-1023 summary of his statement were both “unrelated to Rudy Giuliani” and “not derived” from any information Giuliani provided. This corroborates the House Oversight Committee’s representation that the June 30, 2020, FD-1023 “stands on its own” and was not part of the documents Giuliani provided the FBI in January 2020.

In fact, according to the House Oversight Committee, the FD-1023 in question “contains information from the FBI’s confidential human source dating back to another FD-1023 generated in 2017,” which completely removes Giuliani from the mix.

Raskin’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

Two Huge Scandals

These new revelations prove significant for two reasons. First, there’s the underlying scandal of the FBI’s alleged failure to investigate the FD-1023 and FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten’s opening of an assessment in August 2020 to discredit that information, which “caused investigative activity to cease.”

Knowing that the FD-1023 originated in Brady’s Western District of Pennsylvania proves explosive because Grassley’s whistleblower alleged that in September 2020, FBI headquarters placed the information contained in Auten’s assessment in a restricted-access sub-file that only the particular agents who uncovered the CHS’s info could access. How then could the FBI agents in Delaware further investigate the allegations?

And those allegations, further detailed by Comer on Tuesday, are shocking. “A trusted confidential human source obtained information from a foreign national who claimed to have bribed then-Vice President Biden,” Comer told The Federalist. So, the CHS didn’t just pass on information from some random third party: He spoke directly with the individual who claimed to have bribed Biden. FBI headquarters branding that information as “disinformation” without undertaking an appropriate investigation is outrageous — especially since the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office was directed to further investigate the FD-1023.

The way all this is unfolding sounds more and more like something you would expect to come out of communist Russia, Cuba or China. Such cover-ups are totalitarian in origan, and practiced by the same.

The second scandal is equally as large because it reaches the top of the FBI: Director Christopher Wray.

Wray may well have been in the dark about FBI headquarters falsely labeling the FD-1023 as misinformation and secreting it away from other agents. But framing the intel from the “highly credible” longtime FBI CHS as coming from Giuliani reeks of a cover-up. And suggesting that Barr and Brady closed down an investigation into the FD-1023 when it was instead sent to Delaware for further investigation is a cover-up.

“The more the FBI leak and coverup machine spins for President Biden, the worse the bureau looks,” Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told The Federalist upon learning of Barr’s statement. “Enough is enough. It’s past time for the FBI to come clean and show their work if they have any hope of salvaging their own credibility.”

Comer went further, telling The Federalist, “The FBI is attempting a coverup, and Democrats are doing their bidding by lying to the American people.”

“The FBI must produce this record to the House Oversight Committee’s custody,” Comer continued, and “if not, we will take action on Thursday to hold Director Wray in contempt of Congress.”

Given Barr’s statement, that should be the least of Wray’s concerns.

There is one fundamental question that any candidate vying for the Republican nomination for president of the United States in 2024 must answer — but that as of yet has gone largely unaddressed, at least publicly, as the field spars over significant but ultimately subordinate issues. The question is this: How will you win the general election under the present voting system?

An inability to answer this question clearly, compellingly, and convincingly imperils Republican odds of retaking the White House, no matter how favorable their prospects might look come next November. It is incumbent on anyone who wants to earn the Republican presidential nomination to answer this question at the outset, and to operate accordingly.

Over the last two election cycles, Republicans lost in historically aberrant if not unprecedented ways. That, or they underachieved relative to what conditions on the ground would have suggested. Political analysts have pointed to numerous factors to explain why the results broke the way they did, but perhaps the one constant in the presidential and midterm elections was that they were both held under a radically transformed voting system.

Democrats are so well-positioned to thrive under this system that even under the most favorable political circumstances, and with a “perfect” Republican presidential candidate, it is not at all clear that such a candidate would prevail. At least that is the prudent assumption under which Republicans serious about winning the presidency should be operating.

As Americans well know, we are lightyears removed from the election days of old — singular days when people voted in person, on paper ballots, after presenting identification. Now, we have mass mail-in elections, conducted over weeks, where those voting in person often do so on electronic machines, and with lax identification standards.

New Norms

Democrats largely developed and long fought for this system, willing it into existence under the cover of Covid-19. Naturally, they have successfully manipulated and exploited the voting regime they made.

Ballot harvesting is becoming an accepted norm. Candidates not only have to earn votes but figure out how to collect as many votes as they possibly can. Are Republicans overnight going to out-harvest their opponents, or figure out some new means to identify and turn out voters otherwise sitting on the sidelines in sufficient numbers to overcome Democrats’ ballot-harvesting superiority?

“Zuckerbucks” continue to loom over our contests as well, despite bans in many states. The left is doing everything it can to steer private money toward public election administration — administration done in conjunction with left-wing nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) seemingly targeting the Democrat ballots needed to win.

Prepare for Lawfare

Lawfare is also now an integral part of our election system. Republicans have started to devote significantly greater attention and resources to the litigation game, but to catch up to Democrats will require a long-term, sustained effort, backed with real money. And filing suit over election policies and practices after votes have already been cast of course has proven a losing proposition, as demonstrated by courts’ unwillingness to grapple with fundamental issues around the 2020 election largely on technical grounds.

Meanwhile, Democrats have engaged in efforts to ruin the lives of Republican election lawyers — in their own words to “make them toxic in their communities and in their firms” — seeking to kneecap their competition before it ever reaches the courtroom.

Are Republican candidates devising comprehensive election lawfare strategies right now to both aggressively target existing election chicanery and stave off that which is to come — with the courage and intellectual heft behind it needed to win in the face of an unrelenting and calculating opposition?

Daunting Challenges

These in-built challenges exist before even discussing election fraud, and the imperative for a Republican candidate to exhaust every available means to prevent it, and in the absolute worst case to detect and mitigate it — this at a time when voting happens at further remove from the election booth than ever before, making finding and proving fraud all the more difficult.

Layer on top of these issues the broader forces any such candidate will be up against, and the prospect of winning becomes even more daunting.

Among them is a concerted ruling-class effort to stymie any Republican nominee who might challenge its power and privilege, as President Donald Trump found himself up against in 2020. As Time’s Molly Ball described it in her infamous “Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election” exposé, Trump faced: a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.

They were not rigging the election,” Ball wrote, “they were fortifying it.”

This “cabal” will re-engage in 2024 and redouble its election “fortification” efforts, perhaps especially in “controlling the flow of information” — this is the working assumption Republicans must operate under. Candidates should also assume the deep state will engage in all manner of dirty tricks. The election interference has already begun in earnest. Frankly, it has been ongoing since 2016.

Given the Democrats’ advantages, it would be foolish for any Republican candidate, no matter how formidable, and against an opponent no matter how weak, to presume victory is preordained or even likely in 2024.

The two leading candidates have, to their credit, acknowledged the challenges presented by the voting system and Republicans’ failings in competing under it.

Former President Donald Trump has vowed that “we will become masters at ballot harvesting.” “We have no choice,” he has said, but to “beat Democrats at their own game.” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also recently said, “We’re going to do ballot harvesting,” and that he won’t “fight with one hand tied behind [his] back.”

In that spirit, Republican candidates should devise and articulate a comprehensive plan to win, aimed at an electorate largely dubious of a system they see as rigged. Many are demoralized by this system, which could dampen turnout in key areas.

A Plan

In an ideal world, such a plan would begin with an effort to lobby state legislatures to pass a battery of election integrity-strengthening laws seeking to restore voting, to the greatest extent possible, to the standard of single-day, in-person, and with identification; purge voter rolls of ineligible names; provide maximum transparency and visibility into the voting process for observers, challengers, and the candidates; facilitate real-time arbitration over contested ballots and irregularities, and clear remedies for broader alleged malfeasance; empower state authorities to pursue vote fraud; and impose utterly crippling criminal penalties on anyone who engages in it.

Beyond a legislative effort to ensure end-to-end election integrity from delivery of ballot to vote-counting, candidates must lay out a realistic roadmap for success by internalizing lessons of recent election cycles and forthrightly recognizing Republicans’ strengths and weaknesses. They must determine how to optimally deploy finite resources to triumph in a bloody political war, and play on whatever advantages Republicans may have.

To prepare such a plan, candidates should seek to identify: Democrats’ most effective and decisive strategies and tactics in recent election cycles; what Democrats will do to improve upon these efforts; Republicans’ greatest strategic and tactical failures and successes in recent election cycles; Republican advantages yet to be exploited; and the most significant election integrity-eroding laws, policies, and practices on a state-by-state basis in recent election cycles.

Such an analysis would help the candidates determine which strategies and tactics to replicate, improve upon, experiment with, and totally discard. It would also help them anticipate the strategies and tactics they should combat using whatever means available, and, relatedly, discern what rules and features of the game they must relentlessly litigate over — as Democrats will no doubt be doing.

Then, candidates could develop a precinct-level plan to find and maximize turnout among voters in the most pivotal locales while building as strong and aggressive an on-the-ground poll challenging/fraud detection operation as possible to deter illegal or unethical Democrat behavior; develop a related lawfare plan; and determine how much money they must raise to implement the plans, when and where to allocate the funds, and to whom.

At minimum, this thought exercise would yield critical insights, and instill in voters and donors alike confidence there is a robust and coherent operation in place to maximize the odds for success.

The planning must begin now.

Only by competing and winning under a rotten system rewarding the kind of organizing and action historically anathema to conservatives will there ever be an opportunity to dismantle that system.

Nicole Parker Op-ed: I was an FBI agent when two top agents were murdered. Bureau was focused on social justice

Every law enforcement officer’s family’s worst nightmare is losing their loved one to an act of violence in the line of duty. That nightmare came true the morning of February 2, 2021. FBI special agents Laura Schwartzenberger and Daniel Alfin were shot and killed by a child pornography suspect while executing a search warrant in Sunrise, Florida. Laura was not only my colleague, she was a close friend. In addition to the two veteran agents murdered, four agents were wounded. That was horrible enough. What made things even worse is when it appeared to many agents that the FBI prioritized politically motivated cases and social justice movements over addressing issues surrounding the deadly shootout.

After serving with honor as an FBI special agent for over a dozen years, I recently walked away because of the change in the FBI’s trajectory. The FBI’s handling of Laura and Dan’s deaths was the tipping point in my decision to leave as it was emblematic of the shift in the FBI’s priorities.

Americans are appalled with the current state of affairs at the FBI. Countless current and retired FBI employees and I share in the frustration. It’s heartbreaking that our legacies have been tarnished by those who inappropriately use their law enforcement authority to push their political agendas over fidelity to the law.

OVERSIGHT CHAIR COMER TO HOLD FBI DIRECTOR WRAY IN CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS OVER BIDEN DOC ALLEGING CRIME SCHEME

But trust me, you would’ve loved Laura. She was the antithesis of all the recent FBI scandals. Her integrity was impenetrable. Laura did not mince her words as she saw the FBI changing; we explicitly discussed how we would have no part in any politicization.

FBI special agent Laura Schwartzenberger was killed February 2, 2021.
FBI special agent Laura Schwartzenberger was killed February 2, 2021. She joined the FBI in 2005 and worked tirelessly in bringing criminals to justice.

She was highly decorated; she won multiple awards over her career, but she was never about the accolades or fanfare. She humbly did the heaviest lifting in the FBI protecting children from predators and sexual violence. She personified Super Woman as she successfully juggled being a wife, mother, sister, friend, devout Catholic, youth Sunday school teacher, top-performing FBI Agent, artist, scuba diver and CrossFit enthusiast.

Laura’s two young sons were her pride and joy. Although they inherited her fiercely competitive nature, as seen when they take the field for lacrosse, her top priority was to raise them to be good citizens and followers of God.

Laura was tough as nails but tender-hearted. She had a beautiful aura and light about her countenance. Her laughter was contagious, beloved by all. Rarely in law enforcement do we discuss the evil we combat but Laura and I confided in one another as we processed dark things we witnessed. As fellow women of faith, we regularly spoke about how God would carry us through.

The evening of Sunday, January 31, just 36 hours before Laura was murdered, she and I spoke on the phone regarding a variety of topics. As a former member of FBI Albuquerque’s SWAT team, she questioned the FBI’s recent use of SWAT nationwide for some operations she perceived to be a display of force to intimidate for political reasons. Yet, sadly, a day and a half after sharing her perspective, SWAT was not present for her and squad mates executing a search warrant on one of the most heinous, a child pornographer.

FBI special agent Laura Schwartzenberger was killed February 2, 2021.
FBI special agent Laura Schwartzenberger also taught youth in schools regarding cyber security, social media and internet safety.

Experienced law enforcement officers know those committing crimes against children can be extremely dangerous and violent – regardless of their prior criminal history. These subjects are desperate and know when caught, they will be in prison for a long time, so they have nothing to lose.

In August 2004, a Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Deputy was shot and killed in the line of duty while executing a warrant in a child pornography raid – the same crime and same county where Laura and Dan were killed. As a result, BSO learned lessons and enacted the “Todd Fatta Protocol” utilizing SWAT to varying degrees for operations.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but I wish SWAT or a swarm of agents had been sent out the morning that Laura and Dan were murdered like the FBI deployed for the arrests of Roger Stone, Mark Houck, etc. If they had, would we be left picking up the pieces of shattered lives and families?

When I commented recently about how people within the FBI were very concerned about speaking out due to potential retribution, the Bureau defended itself in a statement that said in part, “The FBI has not and will not retaliate against individuals who make protected whistleblower disclosures.”

Laura was a talented artist. This was the last painting she completed before she was killed. It depicts a lighthouse. She frequently spoke to me about the battle between light vs dark and good vs evil. She worked tirelessly on the beam of light as she wanted it to be perfect.
Laura was a talented artist. This was the last painting she completed before she was killed. It depicts a lighthouse. She frequently spoke to the author about the battle between light vs dark and good vs evil. She worked tirelessly on the beam of light as she wanted it to be perfect.

That doesn’t address other problems at the Bureau. When I left the FBI, almost two years after their murders, The FBI director had not presented an after-action review regarding what happened. Agents in Miami and across the country wanted answers to understand what went wrong. We were left to unofficial chatter and speculation. It was difficult for agents to mitigate future risks when we didn’t even know what transpired. There was no closure.

Yet on a weekly basis, our FBI email inboxes were flooded with messages regarding various diversity matters. But not one correspondence advising lessons learned from Laura and Dan’s tragedy.

Agents often commented that they did not sign up to be social justice warriors or political pawns. They joined the FBI to protect and serve Americans and wanted assurance from leadership at the top that coming home alive was of preeminent importance.

I was contacted by retired, highly decorated, 28-year veteran special agent Michael Anderson. He supports my recent commentary regarding the FBI. His father, FBI special agent Terry Ray Anderson, was shot and killed May 17, 1966, in pursuit of a kidnapping suspect. He said both his and his father’s legacies had been “destroyed” by the Bureau’s current leadership. The FBI is no longer respected like it once was, he added.

Laura and Dan were murdered seeking justice for innocent children who had been victimized. In that effort, they left behind their own children. Despite the current state of the FBI, they made the ultimate sacrifice and deserve our admiration, honor and respect.

For the FBI to be an effective law enforcement agency, the Bureau must regain the trust of the American people. Frankly, this will require drastic changes. I am hopeful and pray the FBI will return to its original roots as a law enforcement agency and make all our fallen heroes proud.

US Judge in Fla. Blocks State Ban on Gender Care

US Judge in Fla. Blocks State Ban on Gender Care
(AP)

A federal judge in Florida on Tuesday partially blocked the state from enforcing its recent ban on people under 18 receiving gender-transitioning care such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy, allowing three transgender children to continue with their treatment while he hears a lawsuit challenging the law.

The preliminary order, from U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle in Tallahassee, applies only to three transgender children in the lawsuit and their health care providers. It will remain in effect while the judge considers a lawsuit by seven families. The other four families did not join an emergency bid to block the law because they do not expect to need gender-affirming care in the immediate future.

“Today my entire family is breathing a huge sigh of relief knowing we can now access the treatment that we know will keep Susan healthy and allow her to continue being the happy, confident child she has been,” one of the plaintiff parents said in a statement, using a pseudonym for her child.

“We obviously disagree with the judge’s ruling,” said Jeremy Redfern, a spokesperson for DeSantis, in an email. “We will continue fighting against the rogue elements in the medical establishment that push ideology over evidence and protect against mutilating our kids.”

Florida’s medical licensing boards adopted bans on gender care for minors in March, and DeSantis last month signed a similar ban passed by the state legislature. It was the latest of a slew of laws passed by Florida and other states restricting many aspects of transgender people’s lives, including medical care, participation in school sports and ability to change identifying documents.

The families said in their complaint that the bans violated their right to equal protection under the U.S. Constitution and parents’ right to make medical decisions for their children. The children in the case range in age from eight to 14. Two have already been prescribed puberty blockers, and all of their parents expect they will need puberty blockers or hormones in the future.

While Wednesday’s order is not a final judgment, Hinkle said the plaintiffs were likely to win. He harshly criticized the law as motivated by “bigotry,” noting that one state legislator had called transgender witnesses at a public hearing “demons.”

US Can’t Ban Non-violent Offenders from Owning Guns: Appeals Court

The U.S. government cannot ban people convicted of non-violent crimes from possessing guns, a federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday. The 11-4 ruling from the Philadelphia-based 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is the latest defeat for gun control laws in the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last year expanding gun rights nationwide.

The decision stems from a 2020 lawsuit by a Pennsylvania man, Bryan Range, who was barred under federal law from possessing a gun after pleading guilty to welfare fraud. He claimed the prohibition violated his right to bear arms under the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

“We are very pleased that the 3rd Circuit has vindicated the rights of our client by faithfully applying the Supreme Court’s decision,” Range’s lawyer, Peter Patterson, said in an email.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which enforces federal gun laws, declined to comment.

Range pleaded guilty in 1995 to committing welfare fraud in Pennsylvania in order to obtain $2,458 of food stamps, a misdemeanor punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment. He was sentenced to three years of probation.

Federal criminal law generally bars people convicted of crimes punishable by more than a year in prison from possessing guns. Such crimes are usually felonies, but the law also includes some state misdemeanors, like Range’s.

A federal judge ruled against Range in 2021. Last June, however, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects individuals’ right to carry guns in public for self-defense, and that any restrictions on that right must be consistent with the nation’s historical tradition of gun regulation. Circuit Judge Thomas Hardiman wrote for the majority on Tuesday that the government had failed to point to any laws from the United States’ founding establishing a tradition of disarming non-violent criminals.

Four judges dissented.

“Where, as here, the legislature has made a reasonable and considered judgment to disarm those who show disrespect for the law, it is not the place of unelected judges to substitute that judgment with their own,” wrote Circuit Judge Cheryl Ann Krause, one of the dissenters.

‘US Women’ soccer team loses 12-0 to men in million-dollar tournament: ‘We’re being brave’

A team comprised of U.S. women’s soccer legends and some of the best female players in the world lost with an astounding 12-0 score to Wrexham AFC, a team from Wales made up of current, former, and guest players.

CBS Sports reported on the game featured in “The Tournament,” a 7-on-7 soccer competition with a $1 million prize to the tournament winner.

The “US Women” brought a team made up of “a roster full of some of the best women’s soccer players in the world,” which was “captained by legendary U.S. Women’s National Team player Heather O’Reilly. O’Reilly has been playing professional soccer since 2004.”

The outcome was less than desirable for the women’s team however, as they gave up seven goals in the first 20 minutes of the game, which was played in two 20-minute halves. The game ended with a 12th and final goal, initiating a mercy rule just after the 40th minute in the overtime period.

While the women’s goalkeeper, Lindsey Harris, was often pictured emotional and at times dejected, the women’s team made no excuses and had an extremely positive outlook on the game.

“We’re super proud,” said O’Reilly, a World Cup Champion. “Hopefully we’ve proved to anybody, just go for it, just live. What’s the worst that could happen? We lose 16-0 to Wrexham?” she asked.

“We don’t care because we’re living, we’re being bold and we’re being brave. Here we have two amazing products that American soccer fans are getting behind. It’s just a ton of fun and it’s brought all of us together,” she added.

The team scored just one goal in their three games played, losing 5-0 to a team representing historically black colleges and universities and 7-1 to a second-tier professional Italian team. The aforementioned Wrexham AFC is a Welsh club owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who have made a historic rise in the ranks of English soccer through the help of their celebrity ownership.

The pleasant responses from the female players is indeed a change of tune when compared to the official U.S. Women’s National Team, which sued the U.S. Soccer Federation. Five women from the team filed a complaint claiming they did not receive pay equal to the men’s national team. The federation settled for $24 million.

Included in that lawsuit was player Megan Rapinoe, who has made rounds in the political talk-show circuit speaking on the issue and recently joined a group to oppose the exclusion of female-identifying men in women’s sports.

‘Highly Credible’ Source Reveals Scandal Bigger Than Biden Bribery: FBI Election Interference

The confidential human source (CHS) behind the detailed allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions was reportedly “highly credible” and used by the FBI in multiple criminal investigations dating back to the Obama administration. Friday’s exclusive by Fox News provides further insight into Sen. Chuck Grassley’s focus on the FBI — as opposed to the Biden family — as the primary scandal in play.

“We aren’t interested in whether or not the accusations against [then]-Vice President Biden are accurate,” Grassley said during an interview last week discussing FBI Director Christopher Wray’s refusal to comply with the congressional subpoena issued for the FD-1023 form. That form, dated June 30, 2020, included detailed information from a CHS to the FBI regarding an agreement by now-President Biden to deliver preferred foreign policy positions for a $5 million payment.

After Grassley revealed he had already seen the FD-1023, Fox News’ Bill Hemmer queried: “How damning is this document to the sitting U.S. president?”

“I don’t know,” responded Grassley, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He stressed that while “there’s accusations” in the FBI report, the congressional oversight committees’ concern is whether “the FBI does its job.” “That’s what we want to know,” he continued.

Friday’s revelation that the CHS was “highly credible” and had served as a source in multiple prior criminal investigations — including ones run under the Obama-Biden administration — proves Grassley is properly focused on the FBI.

Yes, the CHS’s allegations offer more evidence of a Biden family pay-to-play scandal, and unraveling any criminal conduct by the Biden family remains important. But more significant to the future of our country is uncovering government actors responsible for violating the rule of law: America can survive select injustices, but it cannot withstand a corrupt bureaucracy that obstructs justice and interferes in elections.

Yet that is precisely what occurred, according to the whistleblower. He claimed that “in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by a FBI Headquarters’ team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease.” The whistleblower further alleged that the FBI HQ team that handled the Auten assessment, after concluding the reporting was disinformation, placed the information in a restricted access sub-file that only the particular agents who uncovered the CHS’s information could access.

Now knowing the CHS behind the FD-1023 was not just “trusted,” as Grassley had previously indicated, but “highly credible,” and relied upon in multiple criminal cases dating back to the last time Biden worked for the executive branch, makes the whistleblower’s accusations even more damning because those additional facts mean the agents had reason to believe the buried accusations were true.

Not only does this evidence suggest FBI headquarters obstructed justice, but the date of the CHS’s report indicates those responsible for misbranding the intel as disinformation sought to interfere in the 2020 election.

As Grassley’s colleague in the House, James Comer, revealed, the CHS report was dated June 30, 2020, and while the allegations against candidate Biden came from a “highly credible” CHS, the FBI closed them. According to the whistleblower, FBI headquarters closed out the source even though some of the allegations had already been verified and other details could have been verified.

In contrast, when the bureau received a vague tip from an Australian diplomat of unknown veracity that a low-level Trump volunteer had claimed the Russians possessed dirt on Hillary Clinton, within days FBI headquarters opened an investigation into the Trump campaign.

John Durham’s special counsel report recently lay bare the impropriety of the FBI’s targeting of the Trump campaign based on unverified gossip from an unvetted source. Grassley is now highlighting the converse: the FBI’s improper branding of evidence from a “highly credible” CHS as disinformation to protect the Democrat candidate for president.

This evidence of continuing political bias at the FBI is Grassley’s primary concern, prompting him to call for a “change in the culture.” That change will be a long time coming, however, given that Wray resisted the subpoena and appears poised to fight Grassley and congressional oversight committees every step of the way.

James Comer Announces Contempt Hearings For FBI Director Christopher Wray

Christopher Wray

Republican Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer announced Monday that lawmakers will convene contempt hearings for FBI Director Christopher Wray later this week.

Speaking to reporters in a Capitol Hill press conference, the Kentucky representative charged the FBI with violating a congressional subpoena over an unclassified document. The FBI record purportedly implicates President Joe Biden in a $5 million-dollar bribery scheme with a “foreign national” from Biden’s time in the Obama administration.

“Anything short of producing these documents to the House Oversight Committee is not in compliance with the subpoena,” Comer warned last week.

The House Oversight chairman viewed the document in a secure SCIF at the Capitol on Monday after agency officials initially refused and demanded lawmakers travel to the FBI headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue.

“FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified FBI generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation,” Comer said Monday. “At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee, and we will now initiate contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday.”

Comer noted the document “appears” to be used in an ongoing FBI probe “which I assume is in Delaware” and promised Congress’ own investigation is only in the “beginning” stages. Agency claims that the document can’t be released, however, are likely to be met with skepticism considering the FBI hired Igor Danchenko as an undercover informant to keep the lies around the Trump-Russia investigation quiet.

Republicans have threatened to hold Wray in contempt of Congress for weeks over the FBI chief’s refusal to hand over the requested record. Comer submitted a subpoena for the document with Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, a primary watchdog of the Justice Department in the upper chamber.

“We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States,” Grassley wrote in May. “What we don’t know is what, if anything, the FBI has done to verify these claims or investigate further. While the FBI director faces contempt charges over the document implicating the president in a bribery scheme, the agency continues to stonewall congressional requests on a pair of pipe bombs found at the DNC and RNC headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio has demanded an FBI briefing on the pipe bomb investigation multiple times. According to Kyle Seraphin, a former FBI agent who worked on the case, the agency previously tracked down the suspect’s car but has not identified the culprit. The FBI also found both bombs to be inoperable.

DeSantis Campaign Ad Hits Trump for Not Firing Fauci

By Eric Mack    |   Monday, 05 June 2023 06:01 PM EDT

The campaign for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis is firing back at COVID-19 barbs hurled by Donald Trump, trolling the former president for refusing to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“Donald Trump became a household name by firing countless people *on television*,” the DeSantis War Room campaign’s Twitter account wrote, sharing a campaign video ad.

“But when it came to Fauci…”

The ad shows scenes from the Trump-led “The Apprentice,” showing Trump repeating his famous “you’re fired” line.

The ad then cuts to then-President Trump talking about how he cannot fire Fauci during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. Fauci was a leading voice for the Trump administration’s initial COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns in March 2020.

“Today I walk in, I hear I’m going to fire him,” Trump is shown during one of his 2020 pandemic daily press briefings. “I’m not firing him. I think he’s a wonderful guy.”

The DeSantis War Room campaign ad then turns to multiple interviews where Trump admitted he did not fire Fauci because of “a firestorm on the left,” saying he was not “allowed to,” and even Trump admitting that Fauci was a problem.

“Every time he goes on television there’s a bomb, but there’s even a bigger bomb if you fire him,” Trump says in a TV interview in the ad.

“Frankly, you can’t win that one; if I would have done it, I would have taken heat,” the ad shows Trump saying in another interview.

Fauci retired just days before the Republican Party was set to retake control of the House majority — therefore taking the speaker and committee chair gavels for oversight.

DeSantis has famously called Fauci “an elf” who needed to be “chucked across the Potomac River.”

“I’m just sick of seeing him,” DeSantis said during a 2022 midterm gubernatorial campaign speech. “I know he says he’s going to retire. Someone needs to grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac.”

Trump has pitched an “Agenda 47” plan — named after the next president of the U.S. being the 47th — “to dismantle the deep state and reclaim our democracy from Washington corruption once and for all, and corruption it is.”

“First, I will immediately reissue my 2020 Executive Order restoring the president’s authority to remove rogue bureaucrats, and I will wield that power very aggressively,” Trump said in his details campaign policy video, posted to Rumble this spring.

FBI will bring document alleging Biden ‘criminal bribery scheme’ to Capitol Hill — but a major question remains

FBI Director Christopher Wray will allow congressional investigators to view a document related to alleged criminal activity involving President Joe Biden.

Last month, the House Oversight Committee demanded that Wray turn over a copy of an FBI document that allegedly shows evidence that Biden, as vice president, was engaged in a “criminal bribery scheme” that involves “an exchange of money for policy decisions.”

According to Fox News, the FBI will bring the document in question to Capitol Hill on Monday. Only House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the ranking member on the committee, will be allowed to view the document. The document will be kept in a SCIF, a secured environment for viewing sensitive — most often, highly classified — information.

News of the planned document viewing comes after Wray offered to bring the document to Capitol Hill in a phone call with Comer on Wednesday. The FBI had previously refused to give Congress any access to the document. Bureau officials said the decision was necessary to protect confidential human sources. Still, it’s not clear whether Wray is complying with the subpoena, technically speaking.

On Wednesday, Comer said:

We have been clear that anything short of producing these documents to the House Oversight Committee is not in compliance with the subpoena. If the FBI fails to hand over the FD-1023 form as required by the subpoena, the House Oversight Committee will begin contempt of Congress proceedings.

A spokesman for the Republican lawmaker reaffirmed that sentiment on Thursday, suggesting the current plan may not spring Wray from contempt proceedings.

“Chairman Comer has been clear that anything short of producing the FD-1023 form to the House Oversight Committee is not compliance with his subpoena,” the spokesperson said. “This unclassified record contains pages of details that need to be investigated further by the House Oversight Committee.”

More Suspected Terrorists Found Illegally Crossing Southern Border in April Than in Four Trump Years Combined

Border Patrol agents caught 16 people on the FBI’s terror watch list trying to illegally cross the U.S. southwest land border between entry ports in April, bringing this fiscal year’s suspected terrorist arrest total up to nearly 100.

Not only is 16 higher than the recorded combined arrest totals from fiscal years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 but it’s the same as the total number of suspected terrorists apprehended at the southern border in FY 2021. Data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection also suggests that the number of suspected terrorists arrested in April alone was five times the three watch list apprehensions listed for all of FY 2019 and FY 2020.

There are still five months left in the 2023 fiscal year, which means that 2022’s arrest total of 98 people on the watch list, an all-time record for the U.S., will be easily surpassed in the coming months. Already, CBP data says 98 noncitizen watch list members were arrested at American borders in 2023, all but two of whom were caught at the southern border. Reports of more potentially dangerous foreign nationals trying to infiltrate the U.S. in May have also surfaced.

Ever since Biden took office in January 2021, border arrests have skyrocketed. The number of suspected terrorists captured by border agents may be small compared to the 1,734,686 and 2,378,944 illegal border crossers apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border in FY 2021 and FY 2022, respectively, but it is important.

Despite the Biden administration and corporate media’s attempts to downplay the ongoing border crisis, internal alarm over the escalating number of terror watch list members caught entering the U.S. prompted CBP in April of 2022 to create an “Enforcement Statistics” page detailing all of its agents’ “Terrorist Screening Data Set Encounters.” At that time, roughly 42 people listed on the terror watchlist had been arrested attempting to enter the U.S. since Biden became president.

As the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center webpage notes, everyone listed on the watchlist is “reasonably suspected to be involved in terrorism (or related activities)” and most “are not Americans.” Because these people “have no known connection to the U.S.,” their increased presence at the southwest and northern borders of the nation, where overwhelmed border agents struggle to keep up with the years-long influx of migrants, is suspect.

Just as millions of arrests and hundreds of thousands of gotaways continue to increase, so does the number of national security threats seeping into the country. As Todd Bensman, the Center for Immigration Studies’ Texas-based senior national security fellow, writes, “remember that not all terrorism-linked ‘special interest aliens’ coming from nations of national security concern get as far as nomination and approval for the FBI terrorism watch list, which involves a lengthy, multi-tiered process.”

“Some 3,000 to 4,000 special interest aliens are caught between ports of entry every year from the same countries as those who do make the FBI terrorism watch list. Terror links may not come out until much later, after the individual is in the country,” he warned.

Republicans on the House Committee on Homeland Security sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray in late May demanding information about suspected terrorists, specifically an Afghan national and a Pakistani national, who were caught trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in May.

“These reported arrests raise serious questions about the security of our Southwest border and the potential for terrorists to take advantage of the glaring vulnerabilities due to the Biden-Harris administration’s open-border policies,” the Republicans wrote.

That demand was preceded by a letter from Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, and Homeland Security Committee Chair Mark Green pressuring Mayorkas to explain how DHS “is handling the elevated national security risk presented by an increasing number of aliens with terrorist ties illegally crossing the southwest border into the United States.”

Leading GOP Election Officials: Feds’ ‘Treasonous’ Interference Is A ‘Direct Attack’ On U.S. Elections

Several leading Republican election officials are sounding the alarm about the federal government’s persistent interference in U.S. elections.

Jay Ashcroft and Mac Warner, the secretaries of state of Missouri and West Virginia, respectively, recently told The Federalist they are increasingly worried about the mounting evidence documenting federal agencies’ interference in prior elections to the benefit of the Democrat Party.

Ashcroft pointed to the long-awaited report from U.S. Attorney John Durham that confirmed what The Federalist has been reporting for years: The FBI possessed no real evidence that then-candidate Donald Trump colluded with Russian government officials when it launched its investigation into the Trump campaign leading up to the 2016 election. The political investigation — which was “based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence” — would continue throughout the 2016 election and well into Trump’s presidency.

This type of behavior from government agencies “is what you expect out of a banana republic,” Ashcroft said. “It is a direct attack on a foundational aspect of our country, that being fair, free elections.” As it turns out, he noted, “the largest purveyor of misinformation and disinformation with regard to elections [over the course of] the last several years has been the federal government.”

Warner echoed similar sentiments, calling the report’s findings “extraordinary” and adding that he can’t recall an instance in U.S. history where “our own federal agencies have gotten involved in an election to the point of lying to the American people to sway the outcome … for one candidate and one party.”

The 2016 election wasn’t the only one in which U.S. intel agencies decided to intervene to boost Democrats’ electoral prospects. Last month, a report released by the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government indicated the CIA “both solicited signatures for and eventually approved the infamous 2020 letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop story was a Russian disinformation plot.” The letter — which was signed by more than 50 former intel officials — was used as a pretext by Big Tech companies and legacy media to censor and ignore the New York Post’s reporting on the Bidens’ shady business dealings ahead of the 2020 election.

During his Oct. 2020 debate with Trump, Biden even cited the letter to dismiss Trump’s mention of the Post report, accusing the then-Republican president of partaking in a “Russian plan.” It’s also worth noting that during an August interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted Facebook algorithmically suppressed stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop during the 2020 election after being primed to do so by the FBI. According to Zuckerberg, the FBI warned Facebook about forthcoming “Russian propaganda” just before reports of the laptop dropped.

Polls taken since the 2020 election have shown that the coordinated efforts between U.S. intelligence agencies, America’s regime media, and social media companies to censor and ignore the Post’s reporting may have tipped the election to Biden. As Federalist CEO Sean Davis reported, a 2022 poll by TIPP Insights “found that 47 percent of those polled, including 45 percent of independents, said knowing the laptop contents were real and not Russian disinformation likely would have changed their votes in the 2020 election.”

In his remarks to The Federalist, Warner took specific aim at then-Biden campaign adviser and now-Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who, according to testimony from ex-CIA official Michael Morell, played a role in the creation of the debunked letter. During his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, Morell said Blinken reached out to him to discuss the laptop story several days after it dropped and that the call “absolutely” pushed him to write the infamous letter. Morell additionally confirmed one of the main reasons he released the letter was because he “wanted [Biden] to win the election.”

“Using the word treason is not out of context. It’s treasonous when you betray your own, and this [was] a betrayal by our own people,” Warner said. “These agencies are supposed to protect us, and [yet] they are the ones who are perpetrating this fraud on the American people. You just can’t get any more insidious or dangerous than that.”

Warner has been among several Republican elected officials to call for Blinken’s resignation.

While discussing the integrity of future elections, Ashcroft and Warner both emphasized that failure to hold America’s intel agencies accountable for their previous shenanigans will only result in continued interference in future elections.

“Unless there is real punishment for the people involved, it will continue in future elections,” Ashcroft said. “They are violating federal law by being involved in elections in a political way that they are not allowed to be and they are using that to change the outcome. They are using … not just their office, but their clearance and their job titles, and using that to change the outcome of our elections. I don’t know what’s more severe than that.”

It’s worth mentioning that Missouri and West Virginia have implemented several election integrity reforms in recent years. Last year, Missouri passed legislation requiring voters to “provide a form of personal photo identification that is consistent” with state law in order to vote. Meanwhile, West Virginia, according to Warner, has successfully removed more than 400,000 ineligible voters from its voter registration lists since 2016. Both states were also among those to withdraw from ERIC — a leftist-controlled voter-roll management group — earlier this year.

EXCLUSIVE: The individual behind the information that then-Vice President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national is a “highly credible” FBI confidential human source who has been used by the bureau in multiple investigative matters dating back to the Obama administration, Fox News Digital has learned.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley were approached by a whistleblower alleging that the FBI was in possession of a document—an FD-1023 form, dated June 30, 2020—which explicitly detailed information provided by a confidential human source alleging Biden, while serving as vice president, was involved in a $5 million criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national in exchange for influence over policy decisions.

WHISTLEBLOWER ALLEGES FBI, DOJ HAVE DOCUMENT REVEALING CRIMINAL SCHEME INVOLVING BIDEN, FOREIGN NATIONAL

A source familiar told Fox News Digital on Friday that the confidential human source who provided the Biden information to the FBI was a “pre-existing” FBI source who has been used in multiple investigative matters separate from the Biden information.

The source told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source was used by the FBI for “at least several years” before the generation of the June 2020 FD-1023 form detailing the Biden allegations.

The source also told Fox News Digital that the confidential human source has been “consistently reviewed by the FBI” and has been “found to be highly credible.”

FBI TO BRING BIDEN DOCUMENT TO CAPITOL HILL MONDAY, AFTER THREATS TO HOLD WRAY IN CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS

The source said the individual participated in investigative matters during the Obama administration. The FBI did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Comer, R-Ky., subpoenaed the FBI’s FD-1023 document last month, but the bureau did not comply because it said it was trying to protect sources and methods. Comer threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress if the bureau did not turn over the physical document to the committee.

WHITE HOUSE INSISTS NO ‘POLITICAL INTERFERENCE’ IN HUNTER BIDEN PROBE AFTER IRS WHISTLEBLOWER COMES FORWARD

The information in the FD-1023 form, according to the whistleblower, reveals “a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose” and details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions.

An FD-1023 form is used by FBI agents to record unverified reporting from confidential human sources. The form is used to document information as told to an FBI agent, but recording that information does not validate or weigh it against other information known by the FBI.

SIX ADDITIONAL BIDEN FAMILY MEMBERS ‘MAY HAVE BENEFITED’ FROM HUNTER BUSINESS DEALINGS

The FBI offered to allow Comer and Grassley to review the document at FBI headquarters and later agreed to bring the physical document to Capitol Hill Monday for lawmakers to review in a secure SCIF. The FBI is also expected to deliver a briefing to the lawmakers in that same setting on the Biden document and allegations on Monday.

The White House has maintained that President Biden is not involved in any foreign business dealings and said that he has never spoken to his son, Hunter Biden, about them. Hunter Biden has been under federal investigation since 2018 for his “tax affairs” linked to suspicious foreign transactions.

Biden administration officials maintain the president has never discussed investigations into members of his family with the Justice Department.

When asked for comment, the White House pointed Fox News Digital to a previous statement made last month, saying “Republicans in Congress have been lobbing unfounded, unproven, politically-motivated attacks against the President and his family without offering evidence for their claims or evidence of decisions influenced by anything other than U.S. interests.”

“That’s because they prefer floating anonymous innuendo, amplified by the megaphone of their allies in rightwing media, to get attention and try to distract and deflect from their own unpopular ideas and lack of solutions to the issues the American people actually care about,” White House spokesman Ian Sams said in May. “When it comes to President Biden’s personal finances, anybody can take a look: he has offered an unprecedented level of transparency, releasing a total of 25 years of tax returns to the American public.”

Judiciary Chair Jordan Warns of Bias in Mar-a-Lago Probe

By Luca Cacciatore    |   Friday, 02 June 2023 04:22 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/politics/jim-jordan-mar-a-ago/2023/06/02/id/1122196/

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan sounded the alarm Friday about the Department of Justice’s credibility in investigating the Mar-a-Lago files. In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, the Ohio Republican said special counsel John Durham’s report on the “failings” of the Federal Bureau of Investigation has called the current DOJ probe into question. The department is investigating a trove of classified documents and sensitive correspondence discovered at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida.

“The special counsel’s report serves as a stark reminder of the need for more accountability and reforms within the FBI,” Jordan insisted, noting the agency’s “documented political bias” against conservatives.

“Accordingly, as Congress conducts oversight to inform these legislative reforms, we write to ensure the Justice Department acts to preserve the integrity and impartiality of ongoing investigations from the FBI’s politicized bureaucracy,” he added.

Jordan then asked Garland to reveal whether special counsel John L. Smith, who is overseeing the Mar-a-Lago investigation, “relies on any information or material gathered exclusively by the FBI prior to the special counsel’s appointment.”

The chairman expects an explanation about those matters by June 15.

He is also seeking to arrange a briefing with the committee about issues related to Durham’s report, including any new measures “implemented to address the misconduct described” by the special counsel.

It comes as President Joe Biden also undergoes a separate DOJ investigation into classified files found at his home outside Wilmington, Delaware, and his previous office at the University of Pennsylvania’s Biden Center.
