Leftist Thought Police emboldened and on a tear

David Limbaugh

Leftist Thought Police emboldened and on a tearBefore I begin, I want to pose a question to the powers that control our society today: Am I allowed to comment on issues that pertain to homosexuality if I don’t echo the views of our masters?

Will people who read this column willingly twist what I say to justify condemnation of anyone who disagrees with them? They certainly do it to many other people.

Note to those waiting for an excuse to pretend to be offended so they can cram their views down our throats with McCarthyite tactics: Please read precisely what I say and don’t draw unwarranted inferences, for there are no hidden meanings here and there is no concealed agenda.

My intent is not to comment on the propriety or normality of homosexual behavior or same-sex marriage, though I will not run from my previously stated position that I oppose formal societal sanctioning of same-sex marriage and believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. So sue me. No, please don’t. That is just an expression. Some of you might take that seriously and test your standing, and in this culture, who knows how that would end up?

What greatly concerns me is the increasing discrimination against people whose views don’t conform to the dictates of the leftist thought and speech police. Have leftists become so emboldened by their organized bullying of their opponents that they openly support outright discrimination and legal penalties against them? In their self-righteous zeal, have they morphed into the very ogres they crusade against?

So what if someone doesn’t believe homosexual marriage ought to be sanctioned? Does that person not have a right to say so without fear of formal reprisal? People who disagree certainly have a right to be offended — if you can call that a right — but do they have a right to be protected from being offended? For example, Miami Dolphins player Don Jones has just been fined and suspended by the Dolphins because he posted two tweets either critical of or making fun of Michael Sam, the first openly gay person to be drafted to the NFL. Jones will be allowed to rejoin the team only after he completes “educational training.”

“That term produces all kinds of evil thought. It conjures up images of “re-education” camps from the days of the USSR. Communist force people into these camps in order the get them to think the way the STATE wants them to think. THAT IS NPT FREEDOM AND THAT IS NOT PROTECTING PEOPLE FROM BEING OFFENDED!’

“Being offended is a CHOICE, not a right not to be offended. I am offended multiple times a day, yet I will lay down my life for the right of the “offending” people to express their thoughts and beliefs. I want the same consideration.” JB

Let’s take it a step further. What if someone believes that the Bible teaches that homosexual behavior is sinful and also believes in following the Bible? Are we getting to the point that Big Brother not only gets to disapprove of such beliefs but also is entitled to punish and muzzle those who subscribe to them?

“One more time. “Are we getting to the point that Big Brother not only gets to disapprove of such beliefs but also is entitled to punish and muzzle those who subscribe to them?” “JB

Which is a greater evil and which is a greater threat to our formerly free society, to believe that homosexual behavior is sinful and same-sex marriage ought not to be sanctioned or to ban the expression of such thoughts?

“Well?” JB

Leftists can deny that they want to control thought — just as they send another “homophobe” to sensitivity training not to teach him to treat all people well but to re-educate him on the issues. Don’t fool yourselves. The left isn’t simply demanding that we treat all of our fellow men and women with respect; it’s insisting that we all march in lock step with its view of the moral propriety of such relationships.

Are there any proponents of same-sex marriage out there who are concerned by the utter totalitarianism we are moving toward? Will they stand up against it, or will they allow their views to be merged into the dangerous groupthink that is enveloping our collective psyche like the blob?

Particularly disturbing is the left’s despicable tactic to label as haters those who believe in traditional marriage. This is the worst kind of dishonest intimidation I’ve witnessed by a large group in our society in years.

I shouldn’t even have to say this, but people who oppose same-sex marriage do not hate homosexuals. They don’t dislike them. They don’t want them to be mistreated. They just don’t want society to sanction marriage outside its traditional definition.

Christians believe all kinds of behaviors are sinful but don’t consequently hate the sinners, not only because they are commanded not to hate sinners but to love them but also because if they hate sinners, they will hate themselves, as we are all miserable sinners. Is it a stretch for Christians to wonder how long it will be before the expression of some of their views will be outlawed?

“This Christian does.” JB

This appalling effort to taint opponents as haters is rampant because it is what fuels the mob mentality against dissenters and FreeSpeech1-300x204empowers the thought police.

If leftists are so intent on normalizing homosexual behavior, why are they browbeating us with the issue by glorifying homosexuals, demonizing same-sex marriage opponents and sending those who publicly disagree to re-education camps when they can get away with it? Was it really necessary, for example, for President Obama to give a shout out to Michael Sam for being the first openly gay player drafted to the NFL? So what? If homosexuality is normal, then just let it go without comment. Why do leftists have to politicize everything?

I don’t care that Sam is gay and he will play in the NFL. More power to him. I do care about our society’s becoming Stalinist. Do you?

Yes I do David. The evidence of Socialism is growing everyday.” JB

Video: Black Teens Assault White Student on School Bus

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/04/30/Black-Teenagers-Assault-White-Teenager-on-Bus#

30 Apr 2014

This week near Dover, Delaware, a viral video appears to show another instance of black-on-white violence among high school students.

Editor’s Note: YouTube has deleted the video originally embedded in this article. Should users navigate to the video’s URL, a message states: “This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube’s policy prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten.”

SEE VIDEO HERE:

beating

The shaky cell phone video shows a group of black teenage boys punching, knocking down, and kicking a white teenage boy, leaving him dazed and confused on the school bus floor.

The victim of the attack had been riding home from Parkway Academy School near Dover when the assault reportedly began. The video shows him sitting alone, facing front, when the attack begins from the rear – and continues from the side and the front of the school bus. “I didn’t do nothing,” he protests.

The student’s uncle found out about the incident and spread the word on Facebook.

“This is a video of my nephew Alec being beaten by a group of teens on his bus ride home from school yesterday,” wrote Jonathan Guessford. “He was able to get off the bus at the next stop, 14 miles from his home. He went to the Magnolia Fire Hall and called the police.

“The bus driver failed to intervene AT ALL,” Guessford continued. “She didn’t stop the bus while the beating occurred. She didn’t call the police and file a report. She didn’t inform the administration that the beating occurred. (WHY??????????????) Apparently, the bus driver called the school and stated that Alec left the bus early for no reason, according to the administrator that called my brother yesterday.”Really 01

The attack is part of a pattern of racial violence I have documented in White Girl Bleed a Lot: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It.

Common Core Lesson Teaches that America is a Racist Nation

http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/08/common-core-lesson-teaches-that-america-is-a-racist-nation/

Obama-book-pic
The United States Constitution gives no authority to the federal government over education. In fact, since education is not listed as an enumerated power within the authority of the federal government, by law, the authority of education is left in the hands of state and local governments. But, that has not stopped the federal government from attempting to get their grubby hands all over the education of youth.

Ever since the establishment of the Department of Education by then President Jimmy Carter, we have witnessed states scrambling to meet the requirements as set forth by the feds. Republican presidents have even infringed on the state’s authority over education. A prime example is George W. Bush’s ‘No Child Left Behind’ law.

With the introduction of Common Core ‘standards’, schools around the nation have witnessed not only a decline in the academic standards expected of children under the guise of improving problem solving skills, but we have seen numerous examples of children being exposed to very disturbing and dangerous lessons.

Much has been made of the nonsensical Math lessons courtesy of Common Core and the elimination of the great classics of literature in favor of informative, progressive pieces. However, one lesson that should concern Americans comes courtesy of Barack Obama himself. His biography has been, not surprisingly, designated as an approved piece of Common Core literature. As a result, 4th graders in some parts of America are being taught a narrative as reality that we have witnessed the President and his lackey media push over the last 5 years. Our children are being taught that America is, at its core, a racist nation.

obamaBook

This shouldn’t come as a great surprise since one can’t disagree with the policies or actions of Barack Obama without being labeled as a racist or bigot. But, this indoctrination of our youth should have Americans everywhere worried.

The story was initially underreported last fall, so it bears bringing to the forefront again. The website BeforeItsNews.com reported on this disturbing revelation.

Children at Bluffview Elementary who have been assigned to read the book, entitled “Barack Obama,” published by Lerner Publications and a part of Scholastic’s “Reading Counts” program, were informed on page 40 that despite Obama being a “nice fellow,” many allegedly believed that no white American would vote for him in 2008 based solely on the color of his skin.

“But some people said Americans weren’t ready for that much change. Sure Barack was a nice fellow, they said. But white voters would never vote for a black president,” the book reads. Really 01

The book, approved for children as young as seven years old, also goes on to specifically mention controversial comments made by President Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright, while also claiming that the president has worked to bring whites and blacks together.

The book’s comments were brought to the attention of the “Moms Against Duncan” Facebook page, a group of parents and education activists opposed to U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan who recently claimed that “white suburban moms” only opposed Common Core because it showed that their children weren’t as smart as they thought, attempting to paint the nation-wide backlash against the curriculum as a race based issue.

“Would it have been possible for him to be elected (twice) without the support of vast numbers of white Americans?” one member stated.

The book appears to follow the viewpoint that all opposition to the president is based purely on race, which has reached near-comedic levels in its absurdity. Some are now even claiming that opposition to Obamacare is pure racism, despite 55 percent of the public being opposed to its disastrous roll out as millions get dropped from their current providers.

Be aware of what is being taught in your neighborhood schools. This type of dangerous indoctrination can have serious effects on the mindset of our youth and the direction of this country.

Racist Lecturer Delivers Anti-Republican Rant at Public University

Union organizer says ‘division, racism, sexism, and classism’ are American values

February 27, 2014 2:01 PM

A guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, a public school, began class Tuesday with a racist, anti-Republican rant that went on for more than ten minutes.

The guest lecturer, Eyon Biddle, is the political and organizing director for Service Employees International Union Local 150. Biddle was speaking in the freshman general education course “Education 130: Individual and Society,” which allegedly “examines how people influence and are affected by their social worlds from the perspectives of anthropology, psychology, sociology, and women’s studies.”

In a video taken by a student in the class, obtained by Campus Reform, Biddle blames “white rage” for the failure of the Badger State’s 2010 recall attempt against Republican Governor Scott Walker. The union organizer goes on to say that American values are those of “division, racism, sexism, and classism.”

An excerpt of the video is below, and the full video can be found here.

Rant

“You’re looking at me like, ‘Dude you’re f*cking absurd, you’re crazy,’” Biddle said near the beginning of his lecture. “But every day you are living in a system that is telling you how to think, what to think, and when to do it.”

The SEIU official declared that blue-collar, white workers would not have voted for Scott Walker in 2010 — a vote that was “against their own interest” — if not for “white rage” and distaste over having to “pay for health care [for] blacks, browns, and gays.” He also said “racism with the first black president” was the cause of support for a governor who is trying to rein in government employee unions’ political power and head off a looming budget meltdown as public employee benefits spiral out of control.

Biddle went on to explain that Walker was not funded by normal Wisconsinites, but rather the “Koch brothers, corporations, [and] rich people” who were “confusing people, scaring people, [and] scaring the elderly about Medicare, Medicaid changes due to the Affordable Care Act.”

All of this was just “nonsense” Biddle informed his young adult audience.

Stating that his opinions “are just fact, the reality of what we live in,” Biddle said that now America focuses on “gay rights, women’s rights, things that polarize people, things that feed into the sense of those deep, like I said, American values of division, racism, sexism, classism.”

Freshman Kyle Brooks, secretary for the college Republicans, who filmed the video, told Campus Reform, “I’m very disappointed. What could have been a productive dialogue turned into a divisive rant smearing the conservative movement.”

Department Of Justice’s Message To Schools: Singling Out Black Students For Poor Behavior Is “Racist”

Eric Holder

education

5250444957_race_card_eric_holder1The Obama Administration’s singular accomplishment, besides igniting the vile flames of Islam both at home and abroad, is stoking perceived “racial tension.” For it was the Department of Justice that deliberately got involved in the George Zimmerman case, in order to make an example of him. What was the aim? To fan the flames of racial discord and create perceived tyranny for blacks at the hands of whites.  In the process, they also wanted to go after guns “stand your ground” laws. The Obama Administration does not do anything without a motive. In perpetual race baiting, they can control the masses. Thus, the Department of Justice inserts itself in perceived “racial disparity” in schools, creating yet another mythical lie that blacks are unfairly singled out in schools for no reason other than race.

Attorney General Eric Holder said the recommendations were meant to protect the civil rights of students, and disrupt the so-called “school-to-prison pipeline.” Civil rights advocates have long said that overly zealous school discipline policies target black and Hispanic students, pulling them out of schools and into the court system.

“Each year, significant numbers of students miss class due to suspensions and expulsions – even for minor infractions of school rules – and students of color and with disabilities are disproportionately impacted,” the Justice Department said in a news release. “The guidance package provides resources for creating safe and positive school climates, which are essential for boosting student academic success and closing achievement gaps.”

In other words, schools should stop punishing minority students for disciplinary infractions. If a student disobeys school rules, he or she should be punished in the appropriate manner, regardless of skin color. Only Obama’s Department of Justice would dare imply that it is “racist” to punish students of color for general infractions.

The problem? Not all races are equally likely to misbehave at school. Boys, for instance, get into trouble much more frequently than girls. And black, Hispanic and Native American children — who are far more likely to grow up in single-parent households — have higher misbehavior rates than white and Asian students, according to Roger Clegg of National Review.

So ifselling-race-bait-ii-_web-r-320x240 a black male student curses in class, or refuses to do what a teacher asks, the teacher will first have to consider the race of the student before issuing discipline; or not disciplining, if the behavior is menial. However, if a white male student does the same thing, the teacher should crack down on him to even the playing field. This is grotesque, and it will only help to ruin an already failing education system.

The public school system is already ruined by the horror that is Common Core. This just adds more absurd, racial policies that will limit a teacher’s potential to teach, and will negatively impact students that are well-behaved. The term “well-behaved” can apply to all races, unless the Department of Justice has deemed this a racially charged statement, one implying white privilege. But the goal here is to protect minority student’s “civil rights” and the “school-to-prison pipeline.”

Effective discipline is, and always will be, a necessity. But a routine school discipline infraction should land a student in a principal’s office – not in a police precinct,” Holder said.

Holder said many students were suspended, expelled or arrested for minor infractions such as school uniform violations, schoolyard fights or laughing in class.

School yard fights are not usually minor infractions. They can cause serious harm to students and faculty, but in this case, if a black student instigates a fight or disrupts class, the teacher should just let it go. This is unfair targeting. Of course, school rules are uniform, but this makes it to where schools MUST discipline proportionately, or face Department of Justice charges.

“You have to make certain that your school discipline cases match those percentages. If you don’t, you’ll have the feds on your doorstep,” said Joshua Dunn, a political science professor at the University of Colorado and director of the university’s Center for Legal Studies. “If they actually do enforce these guidelines, there will be unintended consequences. This creates some rather destructive incentives. I don’t think there’s any way around that.”

Eventually, you’ll have disorder in schools. … They either suspend white students for relatively trivial things or they don’t punish black students for behavior that is really disruptive or even violent,” said Hans Bader, a senior attorney at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. “You’re effectively commanding them to have racial quotas” with respect to which students are disciplined and how often.

The Obama tyranny is never ending. In these outrageous rules, the Department of Justice is creating more situations where schools can be targeted for “racial disparity.” This is just further proof that racial thuggery starts at the top, and it is systematically destroying the United States.

Another American Woman Attacked by Four Black Women Because She Was Walking While Being White

NOT A HATE CRIME: Ithaca woman gets face sliced open by four black women

By / 1 January 2014

face1

Imagine if a black female pedestrian was attacked at random by a mob of white females and had her face sliced open. It would be the biggest news story in America.

Except in this case, the victim is white, the perpetrators are black, and it was completely censored.

A friend of the victim posted pictures on bodybuilding.com. There is another photo that shows the skin on the woman’s face hanging wide open.

The attack took place last Saturday after the unnamed victim left a bar in Ithaca, New York. The website has reported on several brutal black on white hate crimes in Ithaca in the past. This is not an isolated event.

Police arrested four black women.

BEWARE the Belief Vigilantes! (It’s not about the guy with the beard)

They created a gi-normous list of blacklisted words. (Whoopsie! DUCKS #1 BLACKLISTED glasses & words“Blacklisted” became the first offensive words to be b****listed because it implied a racist belief). The thin-skinned ones also created a rather short list of acceptable, non-offensive words. They became the “Word Gestapos,” and roamed the land to ensure that seldom was heard a discouraging . . . or offensive word.

Then someone pointed out that words were not the problem. In fact, they had never, ever been the problem. Words were nothing more than proof positive of beliefs held by the person speaking the words. Therefore, in order to eliminate offensive words, it would be necessary to change the offensive beliefs that had caused them to be spoken.

And so, the thin-skinned and much-too-sensitive folks re-branded themselves as The “Belief Vigilantes,” and launched a national campaign to guarantee correct and non-offensive beliefs. CHILDREN DRESSED AS HIZBOLLAH GUERRILLAS MARCH DURING PARADE TO CELEBRATE JERUSALEM DAY IN BEIRUTThey enlisted Hollywood celebrities, film industry moguls, and left-stream media and lobbied for mandatory “belief correction” classes and rehab programs (covered by government-approved health insurance) for everyone over the age of 6.

Next, the Belief Vigilantes launched a massive PR campaign focused on correct beliefs regarding racism, sexism, feminism, same-sex marriage, birth and climate control, Judeo/Christian beliefs, the obsolete Constitution, home schooling, red or white wine, etc., etc., etc.

But, drats and darn (the only approved words to describe disappointment), citizens continued to live their lives, using the b***klisted words, unaware of and unaffected by the Vigilantes’ correct-belief campaign.

In became obvious that in order to capture national attention to their cause, the Belief Vigilantes needed a scapegoat.

Shazam! Along came a magazine interview with the perfect candidate: a bearded, self-made millionaire, reality TV star, and straight-talking founder from the Duck Kingdom. DUCKS #3 rubber ducksWhen a reporter had asked for an opinion, the Bearded One responded by expressing his beliefs regarding sexual preference and various body parts.

Whoopie Ki Yea! The Belief Vigilantes sprang into action, screaming and yelling about how his Neanderthal comments had offended them. The brouhaha became a breaking-and-non-stop story across the country. Millions of citizens, for the first time, began discussions about how, when, where, and “IF” it was appropriate to express deeply held beliefs that might differ from deeply held beliefs of others.

The Belief Vigilantes jumped up and down in celebration and clicked together the heels of their all-natural, handmade hemp sandals. “At last, citizens are beginning to understand the importance of correct beliefs (which we determine) and correct speech (which we also determine).”

Empowered by the prospect of a national referendum on correct beliefs, the Vigilantes lobbied the network to demand a public apology and command the Bearded One to shut the heck up and accept suspension until it was decided if he could/would/should return to his own reality show.

However, attempts to shame and quiet the Bearded One ran off him like water on a duck’s back. He stood tall and acknowledged that he was entitled to express his beliefs whenever, wherever, and however he wanted to, and he affirmed that same right for everyone.

Then, an unexpected phenomenon occurred. Millions of good and decent people spoke up. “You don’t want people to express beliefs that are different from yours? Well, tough beans! We have freedom of belief and freedom of speech in this country and we’ll speak our truths whether you trolls like it or not!”

The Belief Vigilantes whined, “Your comments have offended us.”

Pissed-off citizens responded with, “Who the duck cares?”

And then, in a show DUCKS #4 BO & Mof support for the Bearded One and his right to speak his beliefs, millions of moms and dads and grandmothers and grandfathers and uncles and aunts bought Duck Kingdom products and began to wear camouflage hats, scarves, and fake beards.

A duck kazoo song-and-dance routine became wildly popular, went viral and was performed spontaneously in shopping malls around the country.

Supporters of freedom of belief and speech had won. Broken hearted and dispirited, Belief Vigilantes suspended their activities. Many of them enrolled in de-sensitivity training. Others received thick-skin transplants (covered by government-mandated health insurance). 99% of the former Vigilantes graduated from rehab and lived happily, happily, happily ever after as productive members of society.

What about the 1% who dropped out of rehab and retained their thin-skinned attitudes? Determined to live in a country dominated by belief control, they immigrated to North Korea and lived unhappily ever after.

The end.

HEY, OBAMA & SHARPTON: Bored Black Gunman Thinks Chris Lane’s Murder is Funny

DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) — With a motive that’s both chilling and simple — to break up the boredom of an Oklahoma summer — three teenagers randomly targeted an Australian collegiate baseball player who was attending school in the U.S. and killed him for fun, prosecutors said Tuesday as they charged two of the boys with murder.

Prosecutor Jason Hicks called the boys “thugs” as he described how Christopher Lane, 22, of Melbourne, was shot once in the back and died along a tree-lined road on Duncan’s well-to-do north side. He said the three teens, from the grittier part of town, chose Lane at random and that one of the boys “thinks it’s all a joke.”

Hicks charged Chancey Allen Luna, 16, and James Francis Edwards Jr., 15, of Duncan, with first-degree murder. Under Oklahoma law they will be tried as adults. Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, of Duncan, was charged with using a vehicle in the discharge of a weapon and with accessory to first-degree murder after the fact. He is considered a youthful offender but will be tried in adult court.

Jones wept in the courtroom after he tried to speak about the incident but was cut off by the judge who said it wasn’t the time to sort out the facts of the case. Jones faces anywhere from two years to life in prison if convicted on the counts he faces.

The two younger teens face life in prison without parole if convicted on the murder charge.

“I’m appalled,” Hicks said after the hearing. “This is not supposed to happen in this community.”

In court, Hicks said Luna was sitting in the back seat of a car when he pulled the trigger on a .22 caliber revolver and shot Lane once in the back. Hicks said Jones was driving the vehicle and Edwards was in the passenger seat.

A recording of an emergency 911 call obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press offers a chilling account of the next moments as a woman identifying herself as Joyce Smith tells the operator she saw Lane fall over into a ditch as she drove by.

“He’s got blood on his back,” the woman says.

Later relaying word from another witness on the scene to the 911 operator, the woman says: “He’s turning blue. He’s making a noise.”

Edwards has had prior run-ins with the law and came to court Friday — apparently after the shooting — to sign documents related to his juvenile probation.

“I believe this man is a threat to the community and should not be let out,” Hicks said as he requested he be held without bail. “He thinks it’s all a joke.”

The two younger boys were held without bail, while bail for Jones was set at $1 million.

A Tale of Two Lenses

Oprah WinfreyTwo stories hit the news this past week that made headlines on Drudge, Fox, MSNBC and the morning show Live with Kelly and Michael. On one side we heard a story of racism, oppression, and bigotry, and on the other we had profiling, misunderstanding and humor. In both cases people of status and wealth were treated in a manner contrary to their status in our society. The difference was how they reacted.

Oprah Winfrey has been a household name for most of my adult life. I remember watching her as she battled weight gain, weight loss, and personal demons which she masterfully turned into healing for herself and millions of viewers. A woman driven to overcome a childhood of poverty and sexual abuse, she rose to become one of the richest women in the world. She is no longer referred to as a person, but a “brand”. I have the utmost respect for Oprah Winfrey as a person, a woman, a proprietress, and an African-American who endured racism and bigotry during some of the most turbulent times of our history during the Civil Rights era of the 60’s. Her view of the world is through a lens I, as a white American woman, cannot fathom, and out of respect for her I would never even try.

Jase Robertson is a white male in his early 40’s living in Louisiana with his family and one of the stars of the reality hit show, “Duck Dynasty”. He appears to be down to earth, devoted to his family and has a wicked sense of humor about himself, his family, and his background. He did not suffer from racism or abuse that we know of. He seems to be the kind of guy who is pretty content wherever he is…whether it’s the woods of Louisiana or the streets of New York City.

Oprah, who even after leaving her very successful daytime talk show, remains driven to achieve, has recently been in the headlines as she pushes her new movie, “The Butler”. During an interview she recounted an event in Zürich where she believes a saleswoman in a boutique refused to show her a handbag because of the color of her skin. In Winfrey’s account, the woman profiled her due to race and assumed she could not afford the handbag and refused to show it to her. The saleswoman tells a different story. This isn’t Oprah’s first encounter where she claims racism when she isn’t served by a retail store. Oprah told a similar story in 2005 when she was refused entry into a Hermes store in France. Oprah accused the store of discrimination after they refused her and her entourage entry into the store during her visit. Of course the store was closed for the day and they weren’t allowing anyone in to shop, but Oprah’s spokesperson was, nevertheless, quoted as saying, “What does Hermes mean in French? Ku Klux Klan?” I can’t relate to this kind of frustration, Wal-Mart is open 24 hours in some areas, but then I see the world through a different lens.

Jase Robertson and his family are currently the talk of the land. To say their show is a hit is an understatement. Their popularity leads to talk of one of the brothers running for political office. Their season premier broke all previous records for a cable show, and they are currently in New York City promoting Duck Dynasty. As Jase and his wife went to check into their hotel, Jase asked an employee of the hotel where the bathroom facilities were located. The employee, mistaking Jase for a homeless person, escorted him outside and pointed down the street and wished him luck. Jase circled back around into the hotel and reunited with his wife who asked him what happened. Jase retells the story with a smile and says he was “facially profiled”. All of the Robertson’s sport long ZZ Top type beards and dress like they are ready for the next big duck hunt. Jase understands he dresses, acts, and talks different from native New Yorker’s. Jase also understands the hotel employee probably didn’t recognize him and made a mistake. Jase chooses not to be offended, but instead looks at the entire incident with humor and humility. In Jase’s words, “He just didn’t know”. It wasn’t racism, bigotry, hatred, or elitism. It was called “being human”. Jase and the entire Robertson family understand the true meaning of loving your neighbor, which in a nutshell means you don’t attack with name calling, slandering, and defaming simply because you have been slighted. It means treating people the way you would want to be treated. Jase understands people make mistakes and those mistakes rarely reach the level of institutional racism. Jase looks at world through a lens of forgiveness and humility.

Oprah, on the other hand, chooses to look at the world through a lens of race and elitism. She wouldn’t even allow the saleswoman to apologize for any misunderstanding; forgiveness is not an act she will allow since it would diminish her rage and her righteousness. Instead of even considering the possibility of a misunderstanding, Oprah simply dismissed the story she created and said she was sorry she even mentioned the city she was visiting. But the story was out there, people’s lives were changed, and whether the events occurred as Oprah said they did or not, the damage to the shop, the saleswoman, and to whites in general was done, in other words, a “drive by” as only an elite, wealthy, “brand” like Oprah could do.
So we have a choice in our lives and the choice is a daily battle within each of us.

The choice is to choose our lens. Do we see every offense as an attack on our integrity, our heritage, and our race, or do we see the daily assault as an opportunity to love our neighbor? Take an honest look at the Robertson’s and Oprah Winfrey and you tell me who is living abundantly.

SANFORD —

An Orlando lawyer said he does not believe George Zimmerman‘s shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was racially motivated.

CNN analyst Mark NeJame pointed to a black-and-white picture of a family of three, including a dark-skinned man he claims was Zimmerman’s great-grandfather.

He also identified a woman pictured standing above the man as Zimmerman’s grandmother, and a small child in the man’s arms as Zimmerman’s mother.

Speaking to News 13 Friday, NeJame said the photo was just one piece among many that led him to change his mind about whether Zimmerman was racially profiling Trayvon Martin.

“If President Obama says his son would have looked like Trayvon Martin, then if you look at these pictures, his grandparents and great-grandparents would have looked like George Zimmerman’s grandparents and great-grandparents,” NeJame said during an appearance Thursday on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

Before Zimmerman was arrested, President Barack Obama briefly commented on the case, calling the Trayvon Martin’s death a tragedy, and adding that if he had a son, he might have looked like Martin.

A lawyer for Trayvon Martin’s family, however, said they have seen proof of racial profiling, citing Zimmerman’s abandoned MySpace profile, which was found earlier in May to include disparaging remarks about Mexicans.

But according to Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, someone else hacked that MySpace profile and added the comments, not Zimmerman.

O’Mara also announced Thursday that he will soon get his hands on evidence prosecutors said they plan to use during Zimmerman’s trial for second-degree murder.

O’Mara said he would get those documents Monday, giving him a chance to decide what the public will and will not see from that evidence.

University Prof Says God Is a White Racist

Anthea Butler speaks at Bates College

By Tami Jackson // http://theblacksphere.net/2013/07/university-prof-says-god-is-a-white-racist/

Just when you think you’ve heard it all, Anthea Butler, a religious professor at the University of Pennsylvania, claimed that “America’s God” is a white racist in her July 14 editorial.

Professor Butler wrote at ReligionDispatches.org:

The not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case has me thinking a lot about a book I first encountered in seminary, Is God a White Racist?, by the Rev. Dr. Bill Jones. As a budding seminary student, it took me by surprise. Now, as a wiser, older professor looking at the needless death of Trayvon Martin, I have to say: I get it.

God ain’t good all of the time. In fact, sometimes, God is not for us. As a black woman in an nation that has taken too many pains to remind me that I am not a white man, and am not capable of taking care of my reproductive rights, or my voting rights, I know that this American god ain’t my god. As a matter of fact, I think he’s a white racist god with a problem. More importantly, he is carrying a gun and stalking young black men.

When George Zimmerman told Sean Hannity that it was God’s will that he shot and killed Trayvon Martin, he was diving right into what most good conservative Christians in America think right now. Whatever makes them protected, safe, and secure, is worth it at the expense of the black and brown people they fear.

Their god is the god that wants to erase race, make everyone act “properly” and respect, as the president said, “a nation of laws”; laws that they made to crush those they consider inferior.

When the laws were never made for people who were considered, constitutionally, to be three-fifths of a person, I have to ask: Is this just? Is it right? Is God the old white male racist looking down from white heaven, ready to bless me if I just believe the white men like Rick Perry who say the Zimmerman case has nothing to do with race?

You already know the answer: No.

What poppycock. This professor questions the nature of God predicated upon a verdict with which she disagrees? Anthea Butler has the audacity to surmise what’s in the hearts and minds of millions of Americans of faith. What Bible is this woman reading — the Gospel according to Rev. Jeremiah Wright?

I listen to another former prof, my father, a retired scientist AND pastor. My dad often quotes:

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7b

Prof Butler concludes:

As a historian of American and African-American religion, I know that the Trayvon Martin moment is just one moment in a history of racism in America that, in large part, has its underpinnings in Christianity and its history.

Those of us who teach American Religion have a responsibility to tell all of the story, not just the nice touchy-feely parts. When the good Christians of America are some of its biggest racists, one has to consider our moral responsibility to call out those who clearly are not for human flourishing, no matter what ethnicity a person is. Where are you on that scale? I know where I am.

Ms. Butler, I suggest that whatever men you call “good Christians” and “racists” are in no way good nor Christian. The “good Christians” were the abolitionists who fought to realize the bright promise of the Constitution.

The good Christians I know believe in the rule of law and truth, because God is Truth. And these good Christians I know amened when Martin Luther King Jr. spoke:

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Millions of Americans claim the name of Christ and ascribe to the biblical admonition to value character over physical attributes. And just because a verdict does not square with a bitter, warped narrative does not change the immutable goodness of God.

We mourn the loss of a child of any color. We pray for the Martin family and grieve for their loss.

And in the meantime, Anthea Butler, I suggest you re-visit history and read your Bible — your writings suggest you know little of either.

Donnie Spell, a farmer in Hope Mills, North Carolina is finding out just how intolerable people are.  Every year, the small town of 15,000 residents in south-central North Carolina holds its Independence Day parade and celebration and for years, Spell has had his old tractors in the parade.  This year, he was given permission to use ten old tractors in the parade, one of which would be hauling a trailer full of watermelons for sale.

When Spell lined up for the parade, officials noticed the sign on the side of the trailer full of watermelons and asked him to remove it.  They thought he had, but when Spell drove down the parade route, the sign was still draped over the side of the trailer and Spell was flying a Confederate Flag on tractor as he had done in a number of other parades.

Sure as shootin’, the town received some complaints from people that were offended by the sign, saying that it was racist and hateful.  Mayor Jackie Warner knows Spell and said:

“I think, if you talk to him, you’re going to see it’s not anything meant to be vicious.”

Town Manager John Ellis said they want to the keep the parade a ‘wholesome family event’, so they are taking measures to try to control such outrageously offensive racism as a simple sign promoting white history from ever being displayed in the parade ever again.

Why is it racist for a white person to promote white history, a white entertainment channel or any type of white professional organization but it’s not racist when blacks do it?  White people have been forced into tolerance of blacks while blacks are allowed to be intolerant of anything white.  The people that holler racism the most are usually the ones guiltiest of it.  People like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson Sr are among the most racist people I’ve ever listened to and yet they are making a fortune being racist themselves.

If one ethnic group is allowed to promote their background such as the blacks, then why can’t whites, Asians, American Indians, and so on?  They scream for equality, just like the gays, yet they don’t allow equality, just like the gays.  Blacks want privileges that others are not allowed to have.  They want preferential treatment over others.

Biblically, we’re all one race physically, the human race.  We’re all descendants of Adam and Eve and of Noah and his wife.  We are all related like or not.  Ever since the Tower of Babel, when God dispersed mankind across the globe, we have different ethnic groups but still only one race.

Spiritually, there are two races according to the Bible – believers in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and those who are not believers.  Believers will spend eternity with Christ in heaven while unbelievers will spend eternity in hell, separated from God for all of time.

I know which race I belong to and which ethnic groups my family came from.  I don’t hate the others nor am I intolerant of them.  I pray for the race of unbelievers and share my hope and assurance of eternity with them.  As for other ethnic groups; I consider them equal and wish they would do the same, nothing more, nothing less.

Sanford Florida Bracing for Rodney King Type of Riots Pending Zimmerman Verdict

On March 3, 1991, Rodney King, a black man, was driving on the I-210 Foothill Freeway through a Los Angeles neighborhood.  Two California Highway Patrol officers attempted to pull King over, but he refused to stop and took the CHP on a high speed chase both on the freeway and through neighborhood streets.  The CHP officers estimated that the speeds reached 115 mph.

When King finally stopped his car, the two passengers were subdued and placed in police cars.  King was the last to exit his vehicle and when he did, five white LA police officers used tasers and their batons to subdue King.  The incident was caught on video, which showed the brutal actions of the police, but it also showed that King continued to resist arrest and kept trying to get to his feet in defiance of the police.

Naturally, the whole incident was turned into a racial issue involving 5 white cops and 1 poor helpless black man.  Four of five of the police officers were arrested and charged with assault and use of excessive force.  On April 29, 1992, the jury acquitted all of police officers sparking off deadly riots by the black Los Angeles community.

After five days of intense rioting that took police and National Guard units to control, over 3,600 fires had been set, 1,100 buildings were destroyed, over 2,000 people were injured and 53 were dead.  Areas of Los Angeles looked like war zones.

Officials in Sanford, Florida, are fearing the same types of riots if the jury acquits George Zimmerman of the killing Trayvon Martin.  Norton Bonaparte, Sanford City Manager says they are doing everything possible to prevent Rodney King style riots from taking place in his city.  One of his fears is that outsiders will come to Sanford for the sole purpose of committing violence and sparking riots.

Cecile Smith, Police Chief of Sanford, has his officers going door to door, talking to the residents of the city in an effort to prevent any kind of violence from taking place.  When asked about SWAT units or other precautions he is taking to prevent violence, he just said that he’s not at liberty to comment at this time.

Even though Zimmerman is Hispanic and not white, there have already been a number of black on white attacks that have been committed in the name of Trayvon Martin.  There is no doubt in today’s climate of situation ethics and the ‘me’ mentality, that Sanford could be a very volatile place to be when the verdict is read.  If Zimmerman is found guilty, the blacks could still riot and cause damage and injury like they do in Detroit or other places when a team wins a championship.  If Zimmerman is acquitted, I fear that not only Sanford will erupt in violence, but that a number of places will see a surge in black on white violence.  The racial tensions will run as high, if not higher than they did during the race riots of the 1960s and people will die.  Right now, everything is just sitting and ticking like a time bomb, waiting for the verdict to be read.

Proof Positive That the Inmates Have Taken Over the Asylum

Students Suspended For Wearing American Flag Bandanas And Chanting “USA!”

usflagA group of Camarillo High School students were wearing American flag bandanas at a school basketball game, and their principal pulled them aside and told them either to remove their bandanas or leave the game. Mind you, this is in America. In California, in fact. So, why would a group of high school boys be told by their principal to remove their American flag bandanas? Because it’s racist. And there were students of other ethnicities that attended both schools who were competing in the basketball game, namely Hispanics. The boys complied and returned to the game where they began chanting, “USA! USA!” That also was racist. So, the 4 boys were all suspended for 5 days.

Both the Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman and the school district Superintendent Gabe Soumakian believed there were underlying “racist” overtones in the boys’ actions:

“There was symbolism there with the bandana and the chant. …It has nothing to do with being patriotic or unpatriotic,” Soumakian said. “it has to do with the fact that they are making a chant regarding that we are from the USA and you’re not. Whether that’s the implied intent, that’s the way it comes across. …They have to respect everyone. When you go to a game – you cheer for your team and you don’t make any derogatory comments or make inappropriate comments toward the other team.”

They’re in America. We haven’t joined Mexico in a North American Union…yet. We’re still the United States of America. And people come here from all over the world, because they still view this country as the land of the free. It’s OK to be happy that you’re an American. Even if you’re Hispanic. Ironically, two of the boys that were suspended were Hispanic. One was Austin Medeiros, and the other was Stefan Valenzuela.

And by the way, this is Black History Month. So, if you’re white or Hispanic (I didn’t capitalize “white” because that would be racist), don’t show up to school, because that would be racist. The school district superintendent said that the USA chant was racist because it was saying, “We are from the USA, and you’re not.” A white kid showing up to school during Black History Month would be like saying, “I’m white, and you’re not.” Only in America, the Land of the Free, would chanting America’s name and wearing America’s colors be considered derogatory.
