Tragic: Marines just SURRENDERED to Obama

Way back in 1999 to 2002, I had the distinct honor and privilege to serve a joint exchange assignment with the II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune North Carolina. It was there I earned my Navy/Marine Corps Gold Parachutist Insignia, which I wear proudly. I made lasting lifelong friends but more importantly, I was treated as one of their own. It was there I learned about Marine Air Ground Task Force operations, truly a joint education. My first Marine Corps birthday ball is something I’ll never forget, especially my wife Angela ogling over the Marine Corps officer dress mess uniform.

My older brother was a Marine infantryman at Khe Sanh, and wounded there. My mom, Snooks West, was a civilian employee with the 6th Marine Corps District Headquarters in Atlanta. So there has always been a part of me that was a part of the United States Marine Corps. And that’s why it pains me to see our beloved Marine Corps being decimated under the vision of one Barack Obama. At a time when our enemies are gathering strength, being emboldened, and expanding their stranglehold, we are reducing the capability and capacity of the Few, the Proud. Instead, this is what the Obama administration finds a necessary endeavor.

As reported by the Marine Corps Times, “Thousands of Marines serving throughout the infantry and in other key positions are about to get new gender-neutral job titles, but the service’s top leaders are pushing to leave the word “man” in some of its most iconic occupations.

In all, the Marine Corps plans to rename 19 of its military occupational specialties, or MOSs, as the result of a months-long review mandated by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus. A service-wide message announcing the changes are expected to be published within the next few days.

The terms “rifleman” and “mortarman,” are among those that remain untouched, according to a list — obtained by Marine Corps Times on Monday — of 33 MOSs that were reviewed. And that was by careful design, said a Marine official who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “Names that were not changed, like rifleman, are steeped in Marine Corps history and ethos,” the official said. “Things that were changed needed to be updated to align with other MOS names.” In most cases, the word “man” will be replaced by Marine.

You must realize we have the smallest Marine Corps since World War I and the focus of SecNav Mabus and Obama is name-changing. No wonder the enemy is emboldened and carrying out terrorist attacks darn near weekly now.

We reported here recently the status of aircraft mishaps and incidents — quite a few have affected Marine Corps aviation units, rotary and fixed wing. Marine F/A-18 fighter squadrons are deploying at less than 50 percent combat capability. Yet, what is most important? Changing names in the venerable Corps.

Earlier this week we reported that SecDef Ash Carter is ready to formally announce his plan to remove the ban on gender dysphoria — you know, transgenders in the U.S. military. What message does all this send to our enemies, especially an ideological one such as the Islamic State?

It’s beyond belief that weeks after the Orlando terror attack, this is the priority for our military? Ladies and gents, we MUST rid ourselves of these progressive socialists before we have a completely demoralized military. This insidious venture into fundamentally transforming our military via social egalitarianism and ideological agenda will put this nation in a very vulnerable position.

Imagine, another four, or potentially eight years of this under a Hillary Clinton, who will abandon our warriors and lie to the families. We will not have the ability to defend our way of life. And what do we tell the moms, dads, husbands, wives, and children — the loved ones of our uniformed men and women standing upon freedom’s rampart? Why should they believe these people will have the back of their loved ones? How do we look at the parents of the young man or woman who wants to serve, and not have that sinking feeling that no matter how noble, they’ll serve under people with no sense of honor and integrity?

I know folks talk about this election coming down to the Supreme Court. For me, this election comes down to having a trustworthy commander in chief who will restore the pride of our military — not pride based on who you’re sleeping with, but a true American pride that comes from serving our nation.

These are such critical times, yet we have silly people in positions of leadership. Think about what you want a future U.S. Marine Corps to look like. Yes, there’s a high degree of pride to claim the title of Marine, and they don’t need Ray Mabus or Barack Obama — neither worthy to polish the dirty boots of a Marine — to decide how to refer to the Few, the Proud…our United States Marine Corps.

Judge rules in favor of House Republicans in Obamacare lawsuit

An appeal is certain, but should U.S. District Court Judge Rosemary Collyer’s ruling be upheld, it could spark the economic “death spiral” Republicans have predicted and Democrats feared would doom the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

But the ruling has implications far beyond Obamacare, signaling that federal courts may begin to play a more active role in reeling in executive powers that many legal experts say have grown far beyond what the country’s founders intended.

Judge Collyer, presiding in Washington, said the administration violated the Constitution when it made “cost-sharing” payments to Obamacare insurers, over the objections of Congress, which had zeroed out the funding.

“Authorization and appropriation by Congress are nonnegotiable prerequisites to government spending,” she wrote.

Judge Collyer said it was illegal for the administration to continue making the payments. But she stayed her own decision to give Mr. Obama a chance to appeal her ruling.

The White House was stunned by the ruling and railed against the House for bringing the fight to the courts in the first place.

“This suit represents the first time in our nation’s history that Congress has been permitted to sue the executive branch over a disagreement about how to interpret a statute,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said.

The cost-sharing program was written into Obamacare to make it more attractive for poor people without insurance to buy plans on the new health exchanges. In addition to tax subsidies, those with incomes just above the poverty line were supposed to have some of their costs paid directly by the government to insurers. The Affordable Care Act authorized the payments, but Congress and the Obama administration have feuded over whether Capitol Hill needed to take the next step and appropriate the billions of dollars each year. Initially the administration seemed to think it did need an appropriation and requested the money in its budget. But after Congress refused, Mr. Obama changed tune and said he felt he could spend the money even without a new OK.

In court the administration argued that it wouldn’t have made sense for Congress to approve the program but not come up with the money. Judge Collyer rejected that, saying Congress authorizes programs all the time but never finds the money to carry them out. She spanked the secretaries of the Treasury and Health and Human Services departments for trying to spend the money anyway.

“Such an appropriation cannot be inferred,” she wrote. “None of the secretaries’ extra-textual arguments — whether based on economics, ‘unintended’ results, or legislative history — is persuasive.”

Millions of Obamacare customers with incomes between 100 percent and 250 percent of poverty rely on the payments, and health plans are required to reduce their out-of-pocket costs whether they’re reimbursed or not, so they’d likely increase rates to balance their ledgers.

House Republicans’ decision to sue Mr. Obama in 2014 was unusual, though then-Speaker John A. Boehner said he had no choice after the executive branch doled out cost-sharing payments and twice delayed the part of Obamacare that requires large employers to provide health coverage to employees. Judge Collyer shocked Democrats in September by saying House Republicans had legal standing to pursue their central claim: that the administration injured Congress as an institution by usurping its power.

House lawmakers said Thursday’s ruling on the merits offered further vindication.

“The court ruled that the administration overreached by spending taxpayer money without approval from the people’s representatives. Here the executive branch is being held accountable to ‘We the People,’ and that’s why this decision is very good news,” House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, Wisconsin Republican, said.

Analysts have said the constitutional and political considerations behind the case may outweigh the economic ones. Without the reimbursements, insurers may hike the price of their benchmark Obamacare plans. But those higher costs could end up being covered by the federal government anyway through the tax subsidies paid directly to Obamacare customers to help them buy insurance on the exchanges.

“Federal payments to insurers for cost-sharing subsidies would end, but would essentially be replaced by larger federal premium subsidy payments to insurers,” the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said in a September study.

For now, the ruling offers a timely jolt to congressional Republicans who want to repeal and replace Mr. Obama’s signature domestic achievement in 2017, and who say its existence is proof the president has stepped out of bounds in using his powers.

“Here’s what the court just said on Obamacare: America still has three branches of government, and the president cannot rewrite the law — even if it is his namesake,” Sen. Ben Sasse, Nebraska Republican, said.

For his part, Mr. Obama has been hoping to shore up his health legacy — roughly 20 million have gained coverage under his reforms — instead of fending off repeated legal challenges to reforms. Mr. Obama had urged his opponents to move beyond legal challenges to Obamacare last year, when the Supreme Court turned back a second major challenge that would have gutted his reforms. Now he will have to fend off one more challenge.

“It’s unfortunate that Republicans have resorted to a taxpayer-funded lawsuit to refight a political fight that they keep losing,” Mr. Earnest. “They’ve been losing this fight for six years. And they’ll lose it again.”

An interview with U.S. President Obama’s foreign policy advisor is sparking outrage for the revealed admission that the public was duped about the Iran deal. In an interview with the New York Times magazine, Ben Rhodes happily admits, “The way in which most Americans have heard the story of the Iran deal presented — that the Obama administration began seriously engaging with Iranian officials in 2013 in order to take advantage of a new political reality in Iran, which came about because of elections that brought moderates to power in that country — was largely manufactured for the purpose for selling the deal. Even where the particulars of that story are true, the implications that readers and viewers are encouraged to take away from those particulars are often misleading or false.”

Rhodes noted how the working of the deal were set in place in 2012, a year before the elections, and that concluding a deal with Iran was one of the goals of the Obama administration from the outset.

Rhodes further gloated that information doled out to the public by the press corps and think tanks on the deal was through a virtual “echo chamber” of the information given to them by the White House.

“They were saying things that validated what we had given them,” Rhodes said.

“We had test drives to know who was going to be able to carry our message effectively, and how to use outside groups like Ploughshares, the Iran Project and whomever else. So we knew the tactics that worked,” he said.

Commenting on Rhodes revelation, New York Post columnist John Podhoretz, writes that the White House “played us for fools … Congratulations, liberals of the Washington press corps and elite organizations: You’re a bunch of suckers. We all know this because the Obama White House just told us so.”

Obama Plan to Cut Refugee Screening Time Raises Concerns About Terrorism

An Obama administration plan to resettle a greater number of foreign refugees in the United States by expediting the screening process is drawing concern from Capitol Hill, where lawmakers are warning that the administration is not capable of properly screening these individuals for ties to terrorism. The Obama administration has committed to bring at least 10,000 Syrian refugees onto American soil in fiscal year 2016 by accelerating security screening procedures from 18-24 months to around three months, according to sources who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

Obama administration officials told the Free Beacon that they remain committed to the plan, despite warnings from the FBI and other law enforcement officials who say the federal government is not equipped to properly vet these individuals within that timeframe. The administration is committed to moving forward this year with a plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees and 85,000 refugees overall, officials said.

Lawmakers are pressing the State Department and White House to reconsider the plan, arguing that critical security concerns should be addressed before it is implemented.

“We know the 18- to 24-month vetting process for Syrian refugees has severe vulnerabilities after FBI Director James Comey warned about the federal government’s inability to thoroughly screen Syrian refugee applicants for terrorism risk and after the Department of Homeland Security’s investigative arm warned about ISIS’s capability to print fake Syrian passports for terrorist infiltration,” Sen. Mark Kirk (R., Ill.) told the Free Beacon.

The administration has not specified what mechanisms it has put in place to facilitate the screening of a larger number of refugees on a three-month timeline, according to Kirk.

“Given that the administration has not explained to the American people whether and how it fixed these and other known vulnerabilities to terrorist infiltration, it is highly irresponsible for the administration to reduce the 18- to 24-month vetting process for Syrian refugees down to three months to meet its artificial and ideologically-driven goal of bringing 10,000 Syrian refugees onto U.S. soil by September,” said Kirk, who recently introduced legislation to impose enhanced screening measures to prevent terrorists from taking advantage of the U.S. refugee program.

A State Department spokesman told the Free Beacon that the United States is expected to take in around 15,000 more refugees than it has in the past three years.

“The United States remains committed to the president’s plan to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees and 85,000 refugees overall to the United States in fiscal year 2016,” said the official, who was not authorized to speak on record. “This projected increase in arrivals from around the world, from 70,000 in each of the last three fiscal years, will not curtail any aspects of the process, including its robust security screening.”

The official confirmed that the administration is moving to screen these individuals on a swifter timeline in order to facilitate their entry into the United States.

“While this increase in processing capacity and other efforts will decrease the overall processing time for individual families, the average processing time worldwide remains 18-24 months,” the official explained. “As we have said, neither this program nor any of our efforts to expand processing capacity curtail any aspects of the security, medical, or other screening.”

The administration has moved in recent months to boost its processing capacity in order to deal with increased numbers of refugees, the official said. This includes new measures that would help Syrians with relatives already in the United States apply for resettlement. Additionally, the Department of State and Department of Homeland Security are jointly working to increase their capacity to interview refugee applicants from Jordan.

“From February through April, additional staff were posted to Jordan, where they conducted interviews of over 12,000 [U.N.]-referred refugee applicants,” the official said. “All applicants are still subject to the same stringent security and medical requirements that apply to all applicants for U.S. refugee resettlement.”

Not all of the applicants who were approved will enter the United States in the coming months. Some of those approved will enter after April in fiscal year 2017.

The administration’s reassurances have not soothed concerns among senior congressional insiders working on the issue.

“The administration’s repeated assertions that the vetting process is ‘robust’ doesn’t provide any real assurances about a dangerously flawed vetting process that has allowed terrorists to infiltrate refugee flows from high-risk countries in the Middle East into the United States,” one senior congressional source told the Free Beacon.

“The vetting process clearly wasn’t ‘robust’ when it resettled two terrorists as refugees in Kentucky who were later arrested in 2011 after law enforcement officials learned, belatedly and through no small amount of luck, of the ties and material support of these individuals to ISIS’s precursor, al Qaeda in Iraq,” the source said, noting that U.S. authorities do not have databases capable of identifying potential terrorists.

“While U.S. and coalition forces worked with Iraqi authorities to create databases for identifying terrorists during the Iraq conflict who might be infiltrating refugee flows, FBI Director Comey has made it clear in congressional testimony there is no equivalent capability today for identifying terrorists from the Syrian conflict who might seek to do the same,” the source said.

The Obama administration’s refugee plan has emerged as a flash point in the 2016 election cycle. Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D., Ill.), who is running to unseat Kirk, has embraced the refugee plan, drawing criticism from the sitting senator’s camp.

“Duckworth’s plan to bring in 200,000 unsafely vetted Syrian refugees wasn’t considered safe when the administration had two years to vet each refugee for terrorist ties—it’s downright dangerous now that the vetting has been cut to just three months,” Kirk’s campaign said in a recent statement

Investigative journalist and Hoover Institution media fellow Paul Sperry appeared on Breitbart News Daily with host Stephen K. Bannon on Monday morning to talk about the potential release of the “28 Pages” of long-classified documents that may demonstrate Saudi complicity in the 9/11 attacks.

Sperry, author of Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington, published an article in the New York Post this weekend about “how the U.S. covered up the Saudi role in 9/11.” In that article, Sperry discusses many interviews with intelligence and law-enforcement officers who say “virtually every road” from the 9/11 attacks “led back to the Saudi Embassy in Washington, as well as the Saudi Consulate in Los Angeles” — but investigators were constantly told to back off from pursuing those leads.

On Breitbart News Daily, Sperry said his book Infiltration documents “how the Saudi machine has financed a number of front organizations,” including — but not limited to — radical mosques. He expected the infamous “28 Pages” to fit neatly with the many other classified documents he reviewed when writing the book.

He thought the Saudis probably shared that expectation, given their surprisingly blunt threats to wage economic warfare against the United States if the documents are declassified.

“It’s an empty threat, but it shows just how worried they are, that this information is going to get out there, and they’re going to be held liable,” he said, adding that he’s been told “there’s enough information in those 28 pages to bring indictments against Saudi officials.”

Sperry emphasized the importance of both releasing the 28 Pages and passing legislation that would allow 9/11 families to use the declassified information, by filing suit against the Saudis involved in the attacks.

Feds Seek “Mental Health” Testing of All Children, Adults

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Next time you visit your doctor, be careful how you respond to his questions, or you may just be branded “mentally ill” and subjected to “treatment.” That is because a panel advising the Obama administration, in partnership with Big Psychiatry, wants to make doctors subject all American adults and children over age 12 to screening for alleged “mental health” disorders — particularly depression, at least to start with. Then, anyone found to harbor any alleged mental disorder, including children as young as eight, should undergo “therapy,” often including powerful psychotropic medications that experts say have dubious value but often come with well-documented and highly dangerous side effects.

Your ObamaCare plan will be forced to pay for it, whether you want it or not, thanks to the federal government’s commandeering of the health-insurance industry under the so-called Affordable Care Act. And eventually, younger and younger children will be in Big Brother’s crosshairs for mental and behavioral health “services,” whether parents want it or not. School teachers, social workers, and more are all already being enlisted in the federal government’s search for supposed “mental and behavioral health” issues — a list that is perpetually expanding as psychiatrists invent new “illnesses.” The outcry against the federal government’s obsession with your mind and the minds of America’s children, though, is growing louder, as critics call the agenda “depressing” and worry whether it is another scheme to disarm more Americans. The controversial “recommendations” include screening all Americans between the ages of 12 and 18 for depression. A separate but related recommendation seeks to have all U.S. adults checked for “mental illness,” too. And consider that the list of “illnesses” is subjective (homosexuality was a mental disorder a few decades ago) and is constantly expanding as psychiatrists vote to create new ones, literally, as part of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual — the “Bible” of psychiatry that has been widely criticized, even by leading psychiatrists.

The latest demands come from the United States Preventive Services Task Force, or USPSTF. The influential outfit, appointed by the Obama administration’s increasingly radical Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), recommends various unconstitutional federal health policies for Big Brother to decree into pseudo-law via regulation.

Its latest recommendations for children and adolescents 12 and older were published earlier this month in the Annals of Internal Medicine. “The USPSTF recommends screening for major depressive disorder (MDD) in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years,” the HHS task force said in the summary of its position. “Screening should be implemented with adequate systems in place to ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and appropriate follow-up.” Why the federal government believes it has any business coming between patients and doctors — or where it believes the constitutional authority for such meddling is found — was not immediately clear.

The outfit also left the door open for recommending such “screening” for children under 12, too. “The USPSTF concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for MDD in children aged 11 years and younger,” the Obama HHS panel wrote. The recommendations also call for using controversial medications such as Prozac to drug children between 12 and 17, while advocating powerful psychotropic substances such as Lexapro for children as young as eight.

Already, about one in 10 American school-aged boys has been labeled and drugged under the guise of “Attention Deficit Disorder” (ADD) and “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” (ADHD). However, even the late Dr. Leon Eisenberg, often described as the “father” or “inventor” of the diagnosis, said before his death in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel that the alleged disease was “a prime example of a fabricated disorder.” With the list of “disorders” expanding rapidly, and with that list labeling more and more normal behaviors as symptoms of alleged illness, critics have warned that the trend is deeply troubling.

When it comes to adults, the advisory panel, which purports to be independent, wants to cast an even broader net. “The USPSTF recommends screening for depression in the general adult population, including pregnant and postpartum women,” said the outfit, which adds that its views should not be construed as the official position of the “Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality” or Obama’s HHS. “Screening should be implemented with adequate systems in place to ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and appropriate follow-up.”

In its “rationale” for recommending that all U.S. adults be screened for depression, the panel claims that the “illness” is “common in patients seeking care in the primary care setting.” It also cites “adequate evidence” allegedly showing some “improvements” if its advice is followed. pure socialism

Then, unsurprisingly, the outfit downplays the very serious risks documented by The New American magazine and many other sources — including government and Big Pharma itself. For instance, the panel admits that antidepressants are “associated” with harms, including an increase in suicidal behavior, an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, fetal harm, and more. But despite that, the task force “concludes with at least moderate certainty that there is a moderate net benefit” to screening all American adults. And by all, the task force means all: “The USPSTF recommends screening in all adults regardless of risk factors,” it said. Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Big Pharma and Big Government were no doubt pleased with the conclusion. But not everyone was. Among those expressing concerns was Dr. Ron Paul, the liberty-minded former congressman from Texas and GOP presidential contender, who called the proposed mandatory screenings a “depressing thought” in his weekly column. “Basic economics, as well as the Obamacare disaster, should have shown this task force that government health insurance mandates harm Americans,” wrote Paul, a medical doctor. He warned that, among other problems, the scheme would raise insurance costs. Even more troubling is that it would likely result in new federal databases containing the results of the screenings, which would be used to deny even more Americans their right to keep and bear arms.

“Today, some mental health professionals think that those who believe in limited government, free-market economics, or traditional values suffer from mental disorders,” Paul explained, echoing growing concerns among watchdogs monitoring the psychiatric industry. “If mandatory depression screening becomes a reality, it is likely this mental health screening will be expanded to cover screening for other mental illnesses. This could result in anyone with an unpopular political belief or lifestyle choice being labeled as ‘mentally ill.’”

Other commentators also directly suggested that the new demands for more “mental health” screening may be related to Obama’s agenda to infringe on gun rights. “With executive actions aimed at getting guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, the timing of this report’s release is rather curious,” wrote Trey Sanchez with Truth Revolt, a conservative-leaning outlet. “It seems reasonable to assume that mass screenings will produce more diagnoses of depression, even for those patients who showed up a little blue that day. But maybe that’s the point: the more people there are that can be labeled ‘mentally ill’ (indeed a disservice to those suffering from actual mental illnesses), the less gun permits approved.”

It is hardly the first time in recent memory that Obama’s HHS has demanded extreme and anti-constitutional intrusions under the guise of “health.” Indeed, the HHS has become increasingly bold in its demands for totalitarianism. Last year, for example, it unveiled a push to target American adults with vaccine mandates. In collaboration with Big Business and special interests, bureaucrats outlined the “National Adult Immunization Plan” (NAIP) to track Americans’ vaccination records, wage a massive propaganda campaign to “encourage” more inoculations, and foist more controversial vaccines on adults against their will. Critics noted that the agenda includes eventually imposing vaccines at gunpoint.

More recently, HHS, in partnership with the increasingly radical U.S. Department of Education, unveiled a draft policy statement in which families are referred to as Big Brother’s “equal partners” in child rearing. As if that was not enough, the document called for expanding “home visitation” programs. “Home visits by a nurse, social worker, or early childhood educator during pregnancy and in the first years of life can make a tremendous difference in the lives of many children and their families,” argued Obama’s HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell last year in announcing more “grants” to send government workers to family homes. big

The “equal partners” scheme also comes with important “mental health” implications, as the policy statement makes clear. “Ensure constant monitoring and communication regarding children’s social-emotional and behavioral health,” the document demands. “Ensure that children’s social-emotional and behavioral needs are met and that families and staff are connected with relevant community partners, such as early childhood mental health consultants and children’s medical homes.” In the policy statement’s “recommendations” for states — much of which will be imposed through federal bribes — state governments are told to “expand early childhood mental health consultation efforts.”

Of course, there is no constitutional authority for federally mandated “mental health” exams or any other meddling in healthcare or family life. Nor is there authority for a Department of “Health and Human Services” to exist. As HHS and other unconstitutional agencies continue to expand, so does the threat they pose to the liberties, well-being, and prosperity of the American people. It is time for the public to demand that Congress defund and shut down all unconstitutional agencies before the lawlessness and totalitarianism become even more extreme.

Judge suspects ‘bad faith’ from Obama administration on Hillary Clinton emails

That could give the group — and the broader public — answers as to who approved Mrs. Clinton’s unique arrangement, who else in government knew about it and why they shielded it for so long. It also could force Mrs. Clinton to answer questions about how she sorted through her account and decided which messages she didn’t want to turn over to the government.

Judge Sullivan said he is “inclined” to issue a subpoena demanding that Mrs. Clinton and top aide Huma Abedin turn over the entire email system they used. He delayed that decision, saying he will wait to see what he learns from the discovery process, but was irked by answers the Obama administration has given.

“How on earth can the court conclude there is not at minimum a reasonable suspicion of bad faith?” Judge Sullivan said.

With Mrs. Clinton fighting for the presidency, news that her emails could remain a controversy for months is troubling. But Judge Sullivan said it’s all the result of her unique arrangement, in which she rejected use of the State Department’s server and instead conducted all of her official business on an account tied to a server she kept at her home in New York.

“We’re not talking about any federal employee. We’re talking about the secretary of state,” he said.

With Mrs. Clinton out of office and on the campaign trail, it has been left to President Obama and his team to pick up her defense. The administration repeatedly tried to derail Judge Sullivan on Tuesday, saying the State Department has already pleaded with Mrs. Clinton to return any government emails she has.

“State has really done everything it can to get these records,” said Steven Myers, a Justice Department lawyer handling the case for the government.

Mrs. Clinton left office in early 2013. Nearly two years later, and only after prodding by the congressional probe into the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, she turned over to the State Department some 32,000 emails covering 55,000 printed pages.

But she said another 30,000 messages were sent during her four years in office that her attorneys deemed to be purely private. She said they dealt with issues such as scheduling her yoga classes or planning her daughter Chelsea’s wedding. She refused to turn over those messages, saying it was her right as a government employee to decide what emails were official records. REALLY

Judicial Watch, though, said Mrs. Clinton lost that right when she left the government. The group argued that it should be current government employees, either at the National Archives or the State Department, who make that determination. Judge Sullivan seemed to agree, saying that even if Mrs. Clinton were still in office, it would be some other open-records officer, not Mrs. Clinton herself, who would be going through her emails. The judge repeatedly questioned how the State Department could have allowed the situation in the first place.

He said it was clear that top officials knew about Mrs. Clinton’s secret account, yet for years, open-records requests were handled without any of those emails being produced.

“We’re talking about a Cabinet-level official who was accommodated by the government, for reasons unknown,” he said. “This is about the public’s right to know.”

Mrs. Clinton has said she rejected the State Department’s offer of an email account out of convenience for herself. She said she wanted to carry only one device and handle all of her public and private business on it.

The FBI is investigating Mrs. Clinton’s use of the server, where she kept more than 1,700 messages now deemed to have classified information, 22 of which contain top-secret material.

The State Department’s internal watchdog is also looking into the arrangement, Mr. Myers said, pleading with Judge Sullivan to stand down and wait for those investigations to play out.

Judicial Watch’s original open-records request sought information on Ms. Abedin’s own unique arrangement with the State Department, in which she was allowed to work for outside interests while collecting her government salary.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said the organization was happy with the ruling Tuesday.

“It’s a significant victory for public accountability,” he said.

Dozens of other cases also have been filed seeking other messages from Mrs. Clinton, Ms. Abedin and several other top aides.

Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager said Judge Sullivan was caving to “a right-wing group” in Judicial Watch. Leftist Propagandist

“Our campaign is accustomed to these right-wing attacks, and they’re going to continue,” Robby Mook told CNN.

The Republican National Committee said that response was curious, given that Judge Sullivan was appointed by President Clinton in 1994.

Judge Sullivan repeatedly questioned how the Obama administration could have allowed the situation, calling it “troubling.” He said the entire process of creating and maintaining the secret email system, which Mrs. Clinton kept at her home in New York, raises questions about whether she was trying to thwart the law. He said he has not come to that conclusion yet.

He also said the State Department has hurt its own case by claiming several times that it had conducted a full search only to later come back and acknowledge it found places it hadn’t checked.

“It just boggles the mind that the State Department allowed this circumstance to arise in the first place,” the judge said.

Obama admin lobbies governors to accept Syrian refugees

Obama administration officials tried to reassure dozens of wary governors in a closed-door meeting that President Obama’s proposal to relocate Middle Eastern refugees in their states is safe, two governors said Monday. The briefing by senior administration officials last weekend was an effort to “find solutions to some misunderstandings and apprehensions that are out there,” said Gov. Gary Herbert, Utah Republican and chairman of the National Governors Association.

Asked whether the meeting eased states’ concerns about accepting refugees from crisis areas such as Syria and Iraq, Mr. Herbert replied, “We still have work to do.”

After Mr. Obama announced his plan last fall to admit up to 10,000 refugees into the U.S. this year, governors of 30 states from Maine to Wyoming publicly asked for the resettlement of Syrian refugees to stop until security concerns and procedures could be addressed. New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan was the lone Democrat in the group.

The resistance to refugees intensified after Islamist terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California, which raised fears of Islamic State fighters sneaking into the U.S. as refugees.

It’s not clear whether states could block the federal government’s effort to resettle refugees across the country, but some governors have issued executive orders to state agencies to do what they can to stop refugees from relocating in their states.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, conceded that some states “are confused about the process to go through.”

“A lot of issues were raised. We’re continuing to have the dialogue, and [Obama administration officials] promised they would get back to us with additional information as we go forward,” Mr. McAuliffe said.

Mr. Herbert said one of the governors’ concerns is “making sure we have the appropriate information and have the appropriate policy in place.”

“We understand, as governors, one of our first responsibilities is the public safety of the people within the states that we represent,” he said.

Feds Seek Home Visits, Calling Parents “Equal Partners”

Big Brother wants to be an “equal partner” with American parents in the raising of their own children, starting before they are even born. He wants to send his agents to your house for “home visits,” too. Believe it or not, two powerful arms of Obama administration, the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), explicitly say so themselves.

In a draft policy statement on “family engagement,” the two unconstitutional bureaucracies openly state their joint position: families are “equal partners” in everything from children’s “development” and “education” to their “wellness across all settings.” Virtually no area of family life, including the health and “mental health” of parents, as well as a family’s “attitudes” and even its “housing,” would be free from government intrusion under the government’s Orwellian vision. Even vague notions of “family wellness,” as defined by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., would be put under a government microscope. “Parenting interventions“ will be used to ensure compliance.

“It is the position of the Departments [of HHS and Education] that all early childhood programs and schools recognize families as equal partners in improving children’s development, learning and wellness across all settings, and over the course of their children’s developmental and educational experiences,” reads the draft policy. And it gets even more bizarre: As defined in the document, family means “all the people who play a role in a child’s life and interact with a child’s early childhood program or school.”

To advance the “goal” of turning families into “equal partners,” the joint policy statement by the two federal bureaucracies provides “recommendations” to, and highlights resources for, state and local governments. The document argues that Big Brother needs to know about essentially everything, for the supposed benefit of the child it wants to “partner” in caring for. Citing “research,” the policy statement claims that “the institutions where children learn cannot ignore family wellness if they want to … fulfill their mission to prepare children for school and academic success.” In other words, every aspect of family life is now fair game under the pretext of checking “family wellness.”

While government usurpation of parental rights and responsibilities is hardly a new phenomenon, the Obama administration has pushed the agenda hard. Citing Obama’s so-called “My Brother’s Keeper” scheme, the document also touts ensuring that “children are learning across settings and that all adults who teach and care for them are strong partners with shared expectations and aligned strategies.” Thinking that Big Brother is going to align its “strategies” and “expectations” to those of parents — rather than the other way around — is naïve at best.

The “principles” underlying the agenda are spelled out explicitly, including “equal partnerships between families and professionals.” In fact, the paper calls for promoting “shared responsibility” between government “professionals” and families “for children’s healthy development, learning and wellness.” The paper also calls for “jointly” developing and monitoring goals for the children at home and the classroom, with government employees told to “engage parents as capable, competent partners.”

Big Psychiatry will also play a major role. “Ensure constant monitoring and communication regarding children’s social-emotional and behavioral health,” the document demands. “Ensure that children’s social-emotional and behavioral needs are met and that families and staff are connected with relevant community partners, such as early childhood mental health consultants and children’s medical homes.” In the policy statement’s “recommendations” for states — much of which will be imposed through federal bribes — state governments are told to “expand early childhood mental health consultation efforts.”

There are lots of “recommendations” — nudge nudge, wink wink — for local governments, too. If parent “partners” are not partnering in a way approved of by Big Brother, for example, local officials should “identify supports that will be offered to parents such as evidence-based parenting interventions.” By interventions, they mean exactly what you think they mean. Local arms of Big Brother should also seek out “community partners” that can “provide comprehensive services, such as health, mental health, or housing assistance to meet families’ basic needs,” the document explains.

The Obama administration also wants to make sure that Big Brother’s “partners” are being regularly checked up on — even at their homes. The document calls for various government programs to visit your house. Seriously. “To support ongoing relationship building with families, programs and schools should conduct periodic home visits so that teachers and families can get to know each other and communicate about children’s goals, strengths, challenges, and progress,” the policy statement says, adding that if home visits are not possible for “all families,” other requirements should be imposed.

The document also calls on schools to “assess families’ needs and wants,” and even to provide training for parents on how to raise their children. Indeed, every aspect of parents’ lives is in the crosshairs. “It is important that LEAs [local education agencies], schools and programs have a strategy for supporting family wellbeing,” the Obama administration argues. “LEAs, schools and programs can support family wellbeing through school social workers, by implementing community schools models or approaches, or using family support staff and mental health consultants.”

The Obama-backed community schools, dubbed parental-replacement centers by critics, are already in full swing, and set for a massive expansion, thanks to support by most Republicans in Congress. Indeed, as The New American reported recently, these “full-service community schools” are set to play a key role in the broader agenda, overseeing every aspect of children’s lives ranging from dentistry and nutrition to “wellbeing” and mental health. The recently passed “Every Student Succeeds Act” also contains provisions for deploying “mental health” programs against parents and even community members. Obama’s recently retired Education Secretary Arne Duncan, who boasts of turning your children into “green” and “global” citizens with UNESCO using the “weapon” of education, even called for government to have “some kids” 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

At first glance, the Obama administration policy document appears to be merely about “engaging families” in the raising of their own children. Indeed, there is much in the document that, if it were not coming from a federal government that is increasingly out of control and cannot even balance a budget, much less raise children, might sound innocent enough. For instance, the policy statement refers to parents as the children’s “first and most important teachers, advocates, and nurturers.” What it implies, though, is that Big Brother is also going to play the role of “advocate” and “nurturer” to your children. Perhaps Big Brother can provide hugs and bed-time stories soon, too.

In fact, throughout the document, it becomes brazenly clear that federal bureaucrats are starting from the false assumption that Big Brother is in charge of raising children, and that parents may be called upon to help out as “partners.” It also purports to provide justification for governments to pry into every aspect of family life — an extraordinarily dangerous proposition that is a hallmark of totalitarian governments. The mindset evidenced throughout the document is beyond paternalistic and condescending to parents.

So far, the joint policy statement by Obama’s HHS and Education Department has flown largely under the radar. But as word spreads, critics are expressing outrage about Big Brother’s accelerating intrusions into family life and child rearing. E-mails blasting the scheme have been spreading rapidly among education researchers. In a post about the policy headlined “Marxist Nanny State Coming for the Family,” education researcher Betsy Kraus noted that with “Early Childhood Education” now written into the recently approved Obama-GOP “education” bill known as the Every Student Succeeds Act, the American family is in the government’s crosshairs. She also cited various extremist quotes by prominent psychiatrists illustrating just how dangerous the agenda truly is. Control

One furious mother, meanwhile, citing her Catholic faith and the U.S. Constitution’s limits on federal power, compared the proposed governmental usurpation of parental authority in children’s “development” to what occurs under communist dictatorships. “I am a Catholic and my rights and duties as a Catholic parent are to educate my children and that I am only a cooperator of that education with the love of God the Creator, NOT with the government, federal or state,” wrote the mother, Sara Wood, in a letter that has been widely circulated among education researchers and activists via the Internet.

tyrants Also blasting the joint policy statement was The People, LLC, a constitutionally focused activist and watchdog group that has dealt extensively with education and parental rights at the state and local level and has been successful in drafting laws recognizing and protecting parental rights in education. “Grants such as those related to this policy have been incentivizing states since the inception of the Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant,” said co-founder Angela Alef. “Up to now, the effect of these grants has been realized within the population receiving childcare vouchers/assistance. With the continued expansion of the ‘money-following-the-child’ policies of Education Reform, such interference in parental authority will be realized across all populations unless a state-level fight is waged by citizens.”

In a statement provided to The New American, Alef cited a 2011 meeting of the Louisiana Department of Education’s Early Education Supervisors to illustrate the point. She said that “concern was expressed there” that there would be “insufficient monitoring of children” whose parents decided against enrolling their pre-K-aged children in school. “The solution posed by the session leader was that, ‘at some point, obviously, parents will have to be assessed,’” Alef recalled. The latest policy statement by the Department of Health and Human Services, she added, “can only be viewed as continuing the effort to standardize our families — one child at a time.”

It was not immediately clear when the policy draft was released, nor what the current status of it is. The document remains online at the federal government’s website. It appears to have been put out during or after the fall of 2015. Nobody answered the phone at the agency when contacted by The New American on Wednesday to ask about the policy. In its press section, though, the department was boasting of federal agencies “joining forces” to create a new “center” that will “support the Obama administration’s goal of expanding access to high-quality early care, education, and home visiting for all young children.” (Emphasis added.) It said the goals would be accomplished through, among other means, providing “help” to states as well as “child care centers, preschools, and home visiting programs.”

Tyrant Obama Admittedly, a major part of the problem is that many parents have bought into the notion that they can, or even should, hand over their children to government “professionals” and “experts” to be raised, monitored, tracked, manipulated, and “developed.” But Big Brother has certainly played a giant role in encouraging that dangerous idea, most recently illustrated in the policy statement referring to families as “equal partners” in child rearing. Even setting aside the fact that the federal government has zero constitutional authority to meddle in child rearing or education, history suggests the results could be tragic. The American people must resist Big Brother’s unwanted and unconstitutional advances at every level of government.

While the State Department defies a federal court order and delays the final batch of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email until AFTER the first primaries, we’re learning that some of her emails will NEVER see the light of day under any circumstances. In the words of intelligence officials, they are “too damaging” to release.

Fox News reports:

The intelligence community has now deemed some of Hillary Clinton’s emails “too damaging” to national security to release under any circumstances, according to a U.S. government official close to the ongoing review. A second source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, backed up the finding.

The decision to withhold the documents in full, and not provide even a partial release with redactions, further undercuts claims by the State Department and the Clinton campaign that none of the intelligence in the emails was classified when it hit Clinton’s personal server.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, there is an exemption that allows for highly sensitive, and in this case classified, material to be withheld in full — which means nothing would be released in these cases, not even heavily redacted versions, which has been standard practice with the 1,340 such emails made public so far by the State Department.

The Obama administration today confirmed this in more detail, as the AP reports:

The Obama administration confirmed for the first time Friday that Hillary Clinton’s unsecured home server contained some of the U.S. government’s most closely guarded secrets, censoring 22 emails with material demanding one of the highest levels of classification. The revelation comes just three days before the Iowa presidential nominating caucuses in which Clinton is a candidate.

“The documents are being upgraded at the request of the intelligence community because they contain a category of top secret information,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told the AP, describing the decision to withhold documents in full as “not unusual.” That means they won’t be published online with the rest of the documents, even with blacked-out boxes.

In other words, there are some emails Hillary Clinton sent or received as secretary of state from her own private server that are so damaging and sensitive that they can never be released, even heavily redacted.

And yet we’re supposed to believe Hillary that none of the information involved was classified? I’ll borrow from Mike Huckabee who said he didn’t understand how anybody with an IQ above plant life would support Sanders’ socialist ideas. Similarly, I don’t understand how anyone with an IQ above plant life can believe Hillary’s lines about her emails — or anything else that comes out of her mouth, for that matter.

Meanwhile, as The Hill reports, the State Department today will release just 2,000 more of Hillary’s emails but will delay the final batch of about 7,000 until late February — after the critical first primaries are in the books.

In a court filing late on Thursday evening, the department insisted that it “regrets” its inability to publish the final 7,000 pages on Friday, as a federal court ordered it to do last year.

Yet it defended the delay, blaming an internal oversight and the snowstorm that crippled Washington in the past week.

As the journalist who sued the department to force the emails’ release pointed out, however, that would be after voters in the first four primary states have gone to the polls.

“[I]f the Court allows State to delay release of thousands of pages of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s official work emails, a substantial portion of the electorate will be forced to vote without the benefit of important information to which it is entitled about the performance of one of the candidates for U.S. President while serving as Secretary of State,” lawyers opposing the department’s schedule claimed earlier this week.

Apparently, the “most transparent administration ever” wasn’t concerned about this tiny little issue of timing.

“Upcoming electoral events, while admittedly important to the public, do not change the fact that State needs this reasonable amount of additional time to complete the final stage of this enormous and complex undertaking,” lawyers representing the State Department wrote.

Apparently, even with the extra staff and a special person appointed to oversee the whole ~~debacle~~ process — the “Transparency Coordinator” our current rock star of a secretary of state appointed — the State Department can’t keep its court-appointed deadlines. BTW, does anyone remember who that “Transparency Coordinator” — aka “email czar” — is who’s overseeing the process? Oh yeah, that’s right, it’s Janice Jacobs, the one who donated the maximum amount to none other than Hillary Clinton’s campaign just before being appointed to her role in overseeing Hillary’s email scandal. But I’m sure Jacobs’ support of Hillary for president has absolutely nothing to do with her handling of the email release. Right?

Obama administration placed children with human traffickers, report says

The Obama administration failed to protect thousands of Central American children who have flooded across the U.S. border since 2011, leaving them vulnerable to traffickers and to abuses at the hands of government-approved caretakers, a Senate investigation has found.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement, an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services, failed to do proper background checks of adults who claimed the children, allowed sponsors to take custody of multiple unrelated children, and regularly placed children in homes without visiting the locations, according to a 56-page investigative report released Thursday.

And once the children left federally funded shelters, the report said, the agency permitted their adult sponsors to prevent caseworkers from providing them post-release services.

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) initiated the six-month investigation after several Guatemalan teens were found in a dilapidated trailer park near Marion, Ohio, where they were being held captive by traffickers and forced to work at a local egg farm. The boys were among more than 125,000 unaccompanied minors who have surged into the United States since 2011, fleeing violence and unrest in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. hell

The report concluded that administration “policies and procedures were inadequate to protect the children in the agency’s care.”

tyrants HHS spokesman Mark Weber said in a statement that the agency would “review the committee’s findings carefully and continue to work to ensure the best care for the children we serve.”

The report was released ahead of a hearing Thursday before the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which Portman co-chairs with Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). It detailed nearly 30 cases where unaccompanied children had been trafficked after federal officials released them to sponsors or where there were “serious trafficking indicators.”

“HHS places children with individuals about whom it knows relatively little and without verifying the limited information provided by sponsors about their alleged relationship with the child,” the report said.

For example, one Guatemalan boy planned to live with his uncle in Virginia. But when the uncle refused to take the boy, he ended up with another sponsor, who forced him to work nearly 12 hours a day to repay a $6,500 smuggling debt, which the sponsor later increased to $10,900, the report said.

A boy from El Salvador was released to his father even though he told a caseworker that his father had a history of beating him, including hitting him with an electrical cord. In September, the boy alerted authorities that his father was forcing him to work for little or no pay, the report said; a post-release service worker later found the boy was being kept in a basement and given little food.

The Senate investigation began in July after federal prosecutors indicted six people in connection with the Marion labor-trafficking scheme, which involved at least eight minors and two adults from the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala.

One defendant, Aroldo Castillo-Serrano, 33, used associates to file false applications with the government agency tasked with caring for the children, and bring them to Ohio, where he kept them in squalid conditions in a trailer park and forced them to work 12-hour days, at least six days a week, for little pay. Castillo-Serrano has pleaded guilty to labor-trafficking charges and awaits sentencing in the Northern District of Ohio in Toledo.

The FBI raided the trailer park in December 2014, rescuing the boys, but the Senate investigation says federal officials could have discovered the scheme far sooner.

In August 2014, a child-welfare caseworker attempted to visit one of the children, who had been approved for post-release services because of reported mental-health problems, according to the report. The caseworker went to the address listed for the child, but the person who answered the door said the child didn’t live there, the report added. When the caseworker finally found the child’s sponsor, the sponsor blocked the caseworker from talking to the child. Instead of investigating further, the caseworker closed the child’s case file, the report said, citing “ORR policy which states that the Post Release Services are voluntary and sponsor refused services.”

That child was found months later, living 50 miles away from the sponsor’s home and working at the egg farm, according to the report. The child’s sponsor was later indicted.

President Obama has now proven twice to our enemies in the Middle East that the United States will pay handsomely for the return of its citizens. Of course there was the terrible prisoner swap, where Obama traded five senior Taliban terrorists for one gawky deserter named Bowe Bergdahl.

Then this week, President Obama traded seven Iranians accused of sanctions violations plus $1.7 billion ($400 million debt and $1.3 billion in interest dating to the Islamic revolution), for four Americans.

According to the Daily Mail, yesterday The U.S. embassy in Iraq confirmed that several Americans have been kidnapped from the capital city of Baghdad.

Officials at the embassy said they were ‘working in full cooperation with Iraqi authorities to locate the missing Americans’, though gave no further details. The confirmation comes after Arab news channel Al-Arabiya reported that three contractors had been kidnapped by local militia. According to the station, sources in the Iraqi capital city told reporters that the trio were abducted in the southern neighborhood of Dora on Sunday.

They were believed to have been with an interpreter, who has also been captured, reports suggest. Their identities and the reason they are in Iraq is not known.

John Kirby, State Department told Daily Mail Online: ‘We are aware of reports that American citizens are missing in Iraq.

There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the kidnapping. Kidnappings in Iraq have been carried out by ISIS, Shiite militias and criminal gangs often demanding ransom payments or seeking to resolve workplace disputes.

Oh right! This is just “workplace kidnapping.”

Kind of a coincidence that it’s possibly Shiite militia (sponsored by Iran) who would kidnap Americans a day or so after a $1.7 billion payoff?

You can guess how this one is going to end up at some point in any event. More prisoner exchanges from GITMO? Grisly propaganda videos? Or a big fat check? But this is sadly the consequence of our weakness and our willingness to pay dearly for it.

EPA, FDA stocking up on body armor during President Obama’s watch

Since FY 2006, 44 traditionally administrative agencies have spent over $71 million on items like body armor, riot helmets and shields, cannon launchers and police firearms and ammunition, according to federal spending data from watchdog group OpenTheBooks.com.

This comes in addition to the $330 million spent on such equipment in that period by traditional law enforcement agencies like the FBI, Secret Service and Drug Enforcement Administration.

Some examples of the purchases include:

Nearly $2 million spent by the Department of Veterans Affairs on riot helmets, defender shields, body armor, a “milo return fire cannon system,” armored mobile shields, Kevlar blankets, tactical gear and equipment for crowd control.
Over $300,000 spent by the Food and Drug Administration on “ballistic vests and carriers” in fiscal 2014.
Over $200,000 on body armor spent by the Environmental Protection Agency during the Obama administration years, versus just $30,000 in the three previous fiscal years.
More than $28,000 by the Smithsonian Institution on body armor for its “zoo police and security officers” in fiscal 2012.

Spending watchdogs say these examples, highlighted in an upcoming oversight report by OpenTheBooks.com titled “Arming of the Federal Agencies,” point to a trend of duplicitous federal law enforcement agencies run amok.

“Spending $71.1 million on body armor outside of traditional law enforcement agencies raises troubling questions. It’s no surprise Gallup found that nearly 50 percent of Americans believe the federal government is a threat to their liberty,” said Adam Andrzejewski, founder of OpenTheBooks.com and author of the oversight report.

“Living in D.C., one gets a sense of the growing police power of the federal government when you increasingly see official cars emblazoned with ‘fill-in-the-blank-agency Police Service’ for obscure bureaucracies you’ve hardly even heard of,” said Chris Edwards, a budget analyst at the Cato Institute.

Tyranney Alert For spending tens of millions of dollars on body armor and other protective gear for duplicative police forces, the VA, EPA, FDA and 41 other administrative agencies win this week’s Golden Hammer, a weekly distinction awarded by The Washington Times highlighting examples of wasteful federal spending.

“When agencies like the Bureau of Public Debt and Small Business Administration are spending money on body armor and bulletproof vests, it is an indicator of bloat in those agencies’ budgets and the wasteful incentive to spend every dime before the fiscal year-end,” Mr. Edwards said.

Federal agencies employ roughly 120,000 full-time officers authorized to carry guns and make arrests, according to a June 2012 report from the Bureau of Justice Statistics. Administrative agencies with special police like the EPA, IRS and NOAA argue that their officers, just like other law enforcement officers, always face the potential for physical confrontation and must therefore be armed and ready. Other agencies are required by Congress to have their own officers.

“Under the law (38 USC 902) VA police officers are appointed and trained to enforce Federal law within the Department’s jurisdiction. Because they are in every VA Medical Center, and the properties are Federally owned, the officers are the first responders to active threat incidents, civil disturbances or similar incidents,” a spokesman for the VA said in a statement to The Washington Times. “Facilities do receive excellent support from local police agencies, but our guys will be the first to respond.”

In a statement to The Times, a spokeswoman for the FDA said the agency’s Office of Criminal Investigations employs special agents that have the authority to obtain and execute arrest and search warrants, carry firearms and gather evidence to enforce U.S. criminal law on matters relating to the FDA.

“OCI provides its special agents with numerous resources to support investigations OCI Special Agents are dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of the public by investigating criminal allegations falling within the jurisdiction of the FDA,” the spokeswoman said.

Some agencies like the EPA, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management have come under fire in recent years for conducting raid-like operations with heavily armed agents. In 2013 armed EPA officers raided the town of Chicken, Alaska. The agency said the raid was conducted to look for possible violations of the Clean Water Act.

The EPA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In some cases Congress might require an agency to install its own police force when federal authorities won’t take on the job.

According to Paul Larkin, a senior legal research fellow at The Heritage Foundation and a former special agent in charge with the EPA criminal enforcement program, the FBI was asked to take on the role of environmental law enforcement in 1986, but the bureau turned down the job, citing its newly added responsibilities in the war on drugs.

He added that administrative agencies also have an incentive to create their own police forces because it provides them the authority to bring criminal charges against someone that will not cooperate in a civil settlement on a special interest matter, like environmental violations.

“We have too many federal agencies with law enforcement authorities. If you’re going to give somebody law enforcement authorities, there are certain expenses that come with it. The problem is that we have given law enforcement authority to far too many different agencies,” Mr. Larkin said.

He argued that administrative federal agencies should not handle their own criminal investigations, but should transfer those probes to the U.S. Marshals Service. Several reports from the Government Accountability Office have highlighted concerns with the growing number of law enforcement officers at federal agencies over the year. In 1996 32 agencies employed 4,262 law enforcement personnel, an increase of 70 percent since 1987, according to a GAO report.

A 2006 GAO report showed there were 25,000 sworn officers in smaller government agencies, excluding departments commonly associated with crime-fighting. And that number has continued to balloon despite growing criticism. obama- Marxist tyrant

“It’s unfortunate that problems like this don’t get addressed until there is some tragedy that occurs. Sometime there is going to be a use of force by someone, and the agency is not going to support the agent,” Mr. Larkin said. “The difference is, the FBI will stand by its agents; DEA will; the Marshals Service will. I had no belief the EPA would stand by its agents. Something like that is going to happen, and only then will the problem get addressed.”

Before we switched to the 24 hour news cycle, the formula really was that simple. The most tragic, gruesome news was always the Big Story. Earthquake, plane crash, that annoying boy band does a reunion tour. You know, the real tragic stuff.

There was more airtime to fill. Instead of just the reporting the news they gave more attention to how their wall-to-wall coverage could let them shape public opinion about it.

When selecting news stories they report, notice their story-telling angle. Seriously, it’s not about events, so much as story telling. There are heroes, villains and victims at every turn. And — shocker — the villains tend to always be people their beloved Democrats oppose or vilify.

This has nothing to do with the fact that they all practically swooned with each Democratic electoral victory, or any tingles up Chris Matthews’ leg, or even the fact that a former Clinton “White House Communications Director” went on to be chief anchor at ABC news. Impartial coverage. Of course not.

So how does one tell the news when you are trying desperately not to tarnish the record of the party you used to work for? Tell a story that upholds the White House narrative. Splinter America into small groups, to play one against the other. Portray “target demographics” as victims which can then be easily exploited by the next nominee.

Barack Obama and George Zimmerman, for example each have one white parent. But news (or Obama himself, for that matter) never emphasizes Obama’s maternal heritage. It doesn’t propel the narrative forward. Zimmerman was different. Because they had already cast him in the role of villain, he was described “white hispanic” on CNN.

They will ignore real stories with actual victims and instead give wall-to-wall reporting on a hunger strike by a pampered millionaire activist. If you are looking for real black victims you might read the obits on any long weekend in Chicago. I’d say “news”, but it apparently their deaths aren’t newsworthy enough to #matter. It isn’t hard to prove their hypocrisy. Would it be newsworthy if a 19 year old black girl in Mississippi was minding her own business at a gas station surrounded by rednecks, and burned to death? Because, a year ago in Mississippi, 19 year old Jessica was dragged away and killed.

Her name was Jessica Chambers. Surely you know her story, saw a hashtag campaign in her memory. #JusticeForJessica or something like that?

No. And could that be because Jessica was accosted by a gang of 17 black thugs? And — one other detail –she happened to be white? Justice is supposed to be blind, and not biased. And so is our cowardly, politically-inbred media.

When you report a single broken window in Texas as a “hate crime”, but can’t be bothered to raise the issue of a 19 year old girl burned alive by 17 men? There’s a name for that… journalistic malpractice.

Couldn’t you even see fit to file the story under #WarOnWomen? You are pathetic: the whole lot of you. And you are exactly why the public and the New Media will not shed a single tear at your collective extinction.

JESSICA CHAMBERS: Teen Murdered Immediately After Local Blacks Called For Rape & Burning Of White Women

The truth about murder and race in Mississippi may prove reducible to black and white after all, as with fifty years ago in the infamous “Mississippi Burning” case. Breaking, bombshell social media evidence in the Jessica Chambers case suggests the dynamic is reversed, but similar.

In trying to follow and sort out the details surrounding the grisly immolation death of the white former cheerleader two weeks ago, one encounters a cast of very shady characters a country mile long and wide, with the sordid backstory of small-town police corruption in Panola County, and a troubled family tale, all of it murky and convoluted almost beyond belief.

Nailing the actual guilty party, however, could turn out to be not all that complicated. That’s because some black terrorists in the victim’s immediate circle have left a rather obvious trail of specific, racially-oriented murder threats.

For readers familiar with the concept of Occam’s Razor, what seems to be an incredibly tangled mystery might instead just fit the boilerplate template of what I’m calling Occam’s race war. Leftist monster race

One week before, and on just the day before Jessica Chambers was carjacked and burned to death, certain blacks among her intimate circle and acquaintance were involved in Facebook exchanges wherein calls for the rape and burnings of white women and children, especially the families of white police officers, were posted.

Although not a police officer himself, Jessica Chambers’ father is an employee of the Panola County sheriff’s department, in the vehicle maintenance section.

You’ll need to grab a cup of coffee or an energy drink to slurp on, while you try to get a grip on what follows.

In the first Facebook comment in question, on November 30th, a woman using the name “Teapooh Itiswatitis Latrice” reacts to a fake news story carrying the headline “Cop Shoots 1Yr Old Black Baby After Mistaking Pacifier For Gun.”

“Teapooh,” apparently not being very bright, looks to have shared the story without realizing it was actually absurd satire, typical of incendiary internet hoax sites. In sharing the bogus article, “Teapooh” typed the comment, “Somebody need to rape all his kids in front of him then sit(sic) the house on fire an watch them burn….i bet he was a white man SAD”

She shared it via the Facebook timeline of a woman named Sandy Rudd (now please bear with me for a minute while I outline some crucial connections before giving you the rest of the specific, criminal threat).

Sandy Rudd is the aunt of Bryan Rudd, Jessica’s abusive, criminal ex-boyfriend and local gang member. Sandy, who gave the false name of “Cassandra Market” to a reporter in an interview, is herself alleged to be a member of at least one notorious criminal gang — she denies it, even though at least one picture of her has surfaced showing her making gang signs in a group picture with others, all of them defiantly throwing gang signs.

Sandy Rudd acknowledges that she is the one at the gas station who asked Jessica Chambers for a cigarette, when Jessica is seen on the store surveillance video walking over to someone who is off-camera.

Jessica lived with Bryan Rudd and his mother, Theresa Rudd Fleming, for two years in the period leading up to her murder, before a brief stay in a Christian-run rehab/shelter for troubled women. Bryan Rudd has since moved away, to Iowa.

Now get this: “Teapooh” is, according to the “hacktivists” who have accessed various social media accounts of the people involved, actually Teanna Rudd, the wife or live-in girlfriend of a man named Brejuan Buyers.

Brejuan Buyers is the man seen on the gas station’s surveillance video with the gas can in the hours just prior to Jessica being burned over 98% of her body. He rode with Sandy Rudd in her car to the gas station, on that same night the murder victim is seen at the store — while he is filling the gas can at the pump — only 90 minutes before she is found burned.

“Teapooh” made more than just that one murderous comment on Facebook. On the day before Jessica’s murder, on December 5th,she shared a video via someone posting as “Derrick Jaxn” (Jessica’s last word, uttered to a first responder, is reported to have been “Eric” or “Derrick”). The post was accompanied by her comment, “Somebody needs to rape all they(sic) kids in front of them then set them on fire there(sic) learn then white bitches need to be dead”

The clock is ticking, and the FBI was brought in to work on the case as of a few days ago. Many persons of interest have been interviewed, and no arrests have been made.

Brejuan Buyers, the gangsta “gas can man,” can also be seen in two homemade videos here and here, getting high and hurling angry obscenities at whoever watches.

Incidentally, just because whichever authority initially declares some person to have been interviewed and “cleared” doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t be implicated later on, upon further investigation/developments.

Gas station “owner” Ali Alsanai, about whom I’ve previously written, has now been said by the local District Attorney to be not officially suspected of any direct involvement in the case. However he remains a very suspicious figure in all of this, to those who pay close attention to his story’s inconsistencies, his body language, outward displays, mannerisms, and deceptive speech patterns (for one thing, honest people don’t constantly use the phrase “to be honest with you” when answering questions). In spite of his openly flashy gangsta-jihad persona, he’s definitely covering up some kind of illegal activity in and/or around the store.

In one interview, Alsanai blatantly and very casually contradicts himself on timeline details, and says that pictures of himself posing with powerful guns are “photoshopped.”

At the 11:48 mark of that same interview video, the reporter asks him about the small bags being dealt out to people from inside and in front of the store by a black woman (seen carrying and handing out the packets on the CCTV recording on the night of the murder). Alsanai has claimed that the bags contain “chicken” — some say “chicken” is street slang for methamphetamine or cocaine. Yet when the interviewer brings them up as supposedly being “chicken,” Alsanai completely blows the straight face he’d been making an attempt to maintain, and starts laughing, obviously breaking up at how preposterous a lie he is telling.

Just prior to her demise, Jessica Chambers is reported by numerous sources as having been trying to leave the gang and move on with her life, and had been telling people she was planning to write a book about having survived the gang lifestyle. She is also reported to have been in an altercation with someone at the same gas station a week before her murder.

Many blacks and even some whites on social media are accusing Jessica’s father of her murder, for no other reason than her having intimate relationships with dangerous and abusive black men.

After police officers Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo were recently exonerated by grand juries in the deaths of black criminals Michael Brown and Eric Garner, and when George Zimmerman was acquitted last year in the Trayvon Martin case, blacks rioted, looted, burned, and murdered random whites, just as they did after the initial acquittals of the white cops in the Rodney King case in 1992. It’s plain to every honest person that blacks wantonly and savagely attack and murder whites all the time throughout the country, often for no reason at all except the thrill of racially-motivated malicious mayhem. Particularly, we have just seen and heard Michael Brown’s mother’s boyfriend, repeat felon Louis Head, violently screaming “burn this bitch down!!!” over and over again, accompanied by blacks rampaging, burning, looting, and attacking — sometimes fatally, with hammers or other deadly means — random, innocent whites in St. Louis and elsewhere.

Speaking of Louises, Farrakhan just recently stood before a crowd of cheering blacks at a prominent Maryland college and renewed his nationwide public exhortations for blacks to mass-murder whites, whenever and wherever.

In philosophy and problem solving, there’s the principle of reasoning known as Occam’s (or Okham’s) Razor, which goes like this: Among multiple alternative explanations, all of which require various assumptions in order to arrive at possible solutions, often the simplest and plainest answer — involving the least number of assumptions — turns out to be the right one.

So, we have local black gang associates posting terror threats on social media — threats of murder, by burning, directed at the women and children family members of white police employees — immediately before the murder, by burning, of the white teenage daughter of a local police department employee. Plus, the killing took place only minutes after the victim was seen on video at the same location as the husband or boyfriend of the person who posted the threats, as he was filling a handheld can with gasoline.

The entire case could simply be one more incident in the modern, one-sided race war of black on white; a war which is never talked about in the mainstream media. Or, it could be more complicated than just black and white.

The evidence so far suggests that, despite the murkiness of elements and complicated roster of suspicious players, the truth in Courtland, Mississppi might come with the simplest and most obvious explanation.

Expect things to blow wide open very soon. The blogosphere’s best and the brightest are all over this caper like George Zimmerman on a Chipotle burrito bowl.

According to the Washington Examiner, Republican Reps. Ken Calvert of California, Mike Pompeo of Kansas and Brad Wenstrup of Ohio will lead the investigations for the Armed Services Committee, Intelligence Committee and the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, respectively.

“In addition to looking into the specific allegations, the Joint Task Force will examine whether these allegations reflect systemic problems across the intelligence enterprise in CENTCOM or any other pertinent intelligence organizations,” read a joint statement from Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Rodney Freylinghuysen, R-N.J.

The investigations by the House committees joined an investigation by the Pentagon’s inspector general’s office in relation to the Obama administration’s alleged manipulation of Islamic State group intelligence at U.S. Central Command.

A September report said that 50 intelligence officials at CENTCOM had signed a letter claiming intelligence on the Islamic State group had been doctored. The report claimed that the Obama administration would deliberately punish any intelligence official who gave accurate assessments of terror group strength and didn’t doctor the information to make it look like the United States was winning the battle against them.

Even Democrats have gotten on the president and the administration about the intelligence doctoring, including one of the ranking Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Jackie Speier of California.

“More recently the intelligence community, I think, has provided much more accurate assessments. But CENTCOM, which is the area that is responsible for the Middle East, has, for whatever reasons, we don’t know yet why, has dumbed down the intelligence, has sweetened it, has made it seem like we are being more successful there than we are,” Speier said.

“I’m deeply troubled by what I believe is doctoring that has taken place and has created an impression that we are doing better there than we actually are.”

Rep. Speier may claim “we don’t know yet why” intelligence reports were doctored, but we’re pretty sure we understand why.

And pretty soon, these congressional investigations will reveal officially put the “why” out there for the world to see.

New Obama Accomplishment: Middle Class No Longer Majority

Despite years of claiming economic improvement, the Obama Administration is overseeing yet another trend that indicates the growing poverty and division of America. According to a newly released Pew Research study, for the first time in 40 years, the middle class is no longer a majority in this country. The study found that slightly less than 50 percent of households were in the middle class, virtually the same as the combined lower and upper classes.

By one reading, the study could be sifted as good news because the number of adults living in upper class homes increased by half between 1971 and 2015, from 14 percent to 21 percent. Low-income homes increased from 25 percent to 29 percent in the same time period, with the middle class shrinking from 61 percent to 50 percent.

Median incomes across the board have increased since 1970, but middle- and lower-income families’ increases have lagged upper-income increases. Perhaps more significantly, upper-income families now have a much larger share of the overall economy than in 1970, up to 49 percent of aggregate household income in 2014 from 29 percent in 1970.

Median income from 1970 to 2014 grew 47 percent for upper-income families, 34 percent for middle-income families, and 28 percent for low-income families. Inflation during that same time period, according to the Consumer Price Index, has been approximately 518 percent. The total cost of living has gone up nearly 624 percent, according to figures from the American Institute for Economic Research.

While the current administration isn’t — for once — the origin of the problem, the numbers underscore that the Broke economic improvement touted by the Obama White House for the past nearly seven years just isn’t happening for most of America. The Pew study also points out that the highest rates of growth among economic classes happened on the edges of the economy, farthest from the center, among the poorest and the wealthiest, demonstrating the growing deep division among Americans economically speaking.

Median incomes measured since 2000 have actually declined a bit for all economic classes, by $6,144 per upper-income household, by $3,427 for middle-class families, and $2,422 for lower-income families.

Mash all these numbers together and it means that most American families including the upper crust have seen the value of their money decline by somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 percent since 1970, despite actual dollar gains in income.

This particular problem may not be Obama’s fault, but he has done nothing to reverse or even slow the trends. Almost seven years in, “Hope and Change” is just as empty a slogan as when it was first uttered on the campaign trail.

Dear Americans,

As has been broadcast in news reports and other media outlets, Barack Hussein Obama refuses to consider the safety of all American citizens, the national security of this nation and the founding tenets of this nation echoed in the Constitution in his unilateral, authoritarian, almost dictatorial edict of relocating unvetted masses of individuals, the majority of whom are Muslim, from various nations into the united States. In his own words, the uS is slated to import 100,000 individuals per year, mostly Muslim, termed “refugees” from Syria and nations elsewhere.

As citizens, we can no longer sit on the sidelines, in armchairs and behind keyboards writing our suits in Washington, DC, who demonstrate day after day they do not represent the citizens and violate their oath of office. It is time we show our support for our governors who have taken a stand to protect their resident citizens. It is time to declare that we consider this nation a . The United Nations 1951 Convention and Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees, amended 1967, does not apply to “those for whom there are serious reasons for considering they have committed war crimes or crimes against humanity, serious non-political crimes or are guilty of acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.” (page 4, 1st paragraph, 2nd sentence) Because of the inability to establish the nation of origin, the exact identities and history of these individuals, including criminal backgrounds, to accurately confirm the lack of participation in any events listed above, the Convention does not apply, which relieves the united States from any obligation to relocate any individual designated or claiming to be a “refugee” into this nation. The citizens of the States, where governors have taken a stand in support of safety and public interest and against the relocation of unvetted, unknown individuals into the communities by the Obama administration, should stand with our State leaders. The mass numbers of individuals Obama has determined to bring to our nation, consisting of a majority of young Muslim males as seen in Europe, constitutes an invasion of the several States perpetrated by a lawless, criminal president amounting to treason. As European governments strategically placed invaders of sufficient numbers to constitute a majority in some towns and municipalities, Obama intends to do the same without consent of the States or the free people occupying cities and towns in the uS.

Some governors are willing to accept refugees against the wish of voters and have called for residents who disagree to leave the State. These governors have demonstrated their lack of support for the citizens who duly elected them. Citizens of these States, in opposition to the should mobilize to show their disapproval and request these governors resign.

Furthermore, we need to gather to send a message to Barack Hussein Obama that any use of force against the people will not be tolerated.

We should stand in unison on the front steps and lawn of our State Capitol building in opposition to unvetted mass resettlement of unvetted individuals, in opposition to State governors supportive of Obama’s plan, in support of State governors who have taken a stand to oppose Obama’s plan, and declare, in peaceful means, to Congress, we the people will not bend to edict.

More than 500,000 consumers who purchased plans from UnitedHealthcare on Obamacare’s exchanges may be forced to change insurers and select new coverage in 2017, despite the insurance giant’s decision to expand into 34 states this year.

Last week, UnitedHealthcare, the largest insurer in the U.S., told shareholders it was considering pulling out of the state- and federally run exchanges in 2017, with a decision likely to come in early 2016, the company said.

UnitedHealthcare announced it will evaluate whether the plans it offers on the exchanges can remain viable, according to a press release from its parent company, UnitedHealth Group. However, the possibility of the insurance giant leaving Obamacare’s health insurance exchanges could have a significant impact on consumers purchasing insurance in the 34 states where UnitedHealth sells plans.

“In recent weeks, growth expectations for individual exchange participation have tempered industry wide, co-operatives have failed, and market data has signaled higher risks and more difficulties while our own claims experience has deteriorated, so we are taking this proactive step,” Stephen Hemsley, chief executive officer of UnitedHealth Group, said in a statement Friday.

According to enrollment data, more than 500,000 Americans using the exchanges purchased plans from UnitedHealthcare. Those consumers will have to purchase new plans in 2017 should the insurance company leave the exchanges, Ed Haislmaier, a health policy expert at The Heritage Foundation, told The Daily Signal.

“What we’re seeing is that insurers are re-evaluating whether this is a good market to go into,” he said. “Some are expanding; others are having problems, and they pulled back. Over time, what you’ll probably see is fewer insurers offering coverage in the exchanges. We’re already seeing that, even though United expanded in 2015 and 2016, insurers offering coverage is down. It’s going to take a few years to play out.”

Compared to its competitors, UnitedHealthcare was slow to offer products on the exchange when Obamacare first went into effect in October 2013 and sold plans in just four states—Colorado, Maryland, Nevada, and New York—in 2014, according to the state-run exchanges and federal exchange, HealthCare.gov.

However, the insurer expanded its exchange coverage substantially in 2015 and 2016, selling plans in 22 states during the 2015 open enrollment period and 34 states during this year’s open enrollment period. Competitors Aetna and Humana, by comparison, are offering coverage on the exchanges in 15 states.

Haislmaier said that insurers like UnitedHealthcare may not have prepared for how much plans sold on the exchanges would cost them.

“What you’re seeing is the market itself, and this is attributable to Obamacare, is turning out to be a market that’s predominately low-income individuals between 100 to 200 percent of the poverty line,” Haislmaier said. “They’re buying coverage, getting a substantial subsidy, but gravitating toward the low cost-sharing plans where they get extra subsidies. The enrollees have more of an incentive to use more health care, and that makes those plans more expensive [for the insurer].”

For insurers to profit from the coverage offered on the exchanges, Haislmaier said, they must narrow networks or raise prices, both of which impact consumers.

“The ones who have not narrowed the networks or have been behind the curve on pricing are having losses and reevaluating participation,” he said.

In addition to serving more than 500,000 consumers who purchased plans on the exchange, UnitedHealthcare is selling one of the cheapest plans available to consumers in the marketplace. Larry Levitt, senior vice president of the Kaiser Family Foundation, told USA Today that of the two cheapest silver plans available on the federal exchange, UnitedHealthcare is selling one. That plan, he said, is available to more than 40 percent of the counties in the 38 states using HealthCare.gov.

In a statement to The Daily Signal, Aaron Albright, spokesman for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said insurance companies like Aetna, Anthem, Kaiser Permanente, and Molina have indicated that they are committed to participating in the marketplace.

“This is further indication that statements from one issuer are not reflective of the marketplace’s overall strength going forward,” he said. “The future of the marketplace is strong. It continues to grow, giving more Americans access to quality, affordable health care, and consumers are benefiting from increased choice and competition.”

The news from UnitedHealthcare regarding its future on Obamacare’s exchanges delivers another blow for consumers, some of whom face dwindling options for coverage. Over the last 10 months, 12 consumer-operated and oriented plans, or co-ops, announced they are no longer selling insurance in 2016 and are closing their doors.

Many cited an inability to perform because of market conditions, in addition to lower payments from Obamacare’s risk corridor program, as reasons for the co-ops’ collapse. Because the dozen co-ops failed, more than 1 million consumers had to purchase coverage from a different insurer during this opening enrollment period.

Terrorism Deaths Quadruple Under Obama

The worldwide number of annual terrorist deaths has more than quadrupled since President Barack Obama was inaugurated in January 2009. Deaths from terrorism increased 80 percent last year to an all-time-record of 32,658 people killed, compared to 18,111 in 2013. The number is up about 426 percent from the 7,654 killed by terrorists in 2008 under President Bush, according to the latest report from ‘Vision of Humanity.’

The 2014 economic cost of 13,370 terrorist attacks in 93 countries included property damage, medical costs, lost income for victims, and the indirect costs of preventing and responding to terrorist acts. The annual “Global Terrorism Index” report estimated those costs hit an all-time-high in 2014 of $52.9 billion.

Boko Haram and Islamic State of Iraq and Levant were jointly responsible for 51 percent of all claimed global terrorist fatalities in 2014. About 57 percent of all the attacks and 78 percent of all the deaths occurred in the five nations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan and Syria.

But the number of nations suffering over 500 or more deaths from terrorism increased in 2014 by approximately 120 percent, to 11 countries.

Nigeria experienced the largest increase in terrorist activity with 7,512 deaths in 2014, a jump of over 300 percent over the prior year. But Iraq continued as the worst place for terrorist attacks in 2014, with 9,929 killed, setting another new all-time-record for a single nation.

The number of countries suffering at least one terrorist fatality spread significantly last year, from 59 in 2013 to 67 in 2014. Advanced Western nations suffering at least one terrorist death included Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada and France.

As the Middle East destabilized from 2011 through 2014, global terrorist attacks set a new record each year. Over the three-year period, the total number of people killed by terrorism was approximately 63,214.

White House Gave ISIS 45 Minute Warning Before Bombing Oil Tankers

The Obama White House is giving ISIS a 45 minute warning before bombing their oil tankers by dropping leaflets advising potential jihadists to flee before air strikes in Syria. “Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: air strikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life,” the leaflet reads.

The leaflet drops are justified under the premise that the oil tanker drivers might be civilians and not ISIS recruits, although it’s an explanation that doesn’t wash with critics. “It’s not like these drivers are innocent, uninvolved ‘civilians’ like children or sick people,” writes J.E. Dyer. “They’re waging ISIS’s war, just like the other non-uniformed participants who make up 100% of ISIS’s ranks. This is how far the Obama administration is going to avoid “collateral damage” — and who knows, it may be worse.”

FrontPageMag’s Daniel Greenfield makes a similar point, commenting, “So after all this time, they came up with a great plan; drop flyers on ISIS trucks so that the drivers, who may or may not be ISIS members, can run away in time. Meanwhile ISIS gets 45 minutes of warning.”

Compare the Obama White House’s approach to fighting ISIS to that of Russia. While it took the U.S. fifteen months to even begin targeting ISIS’ oil refineries and tankers, air strikes by Moscow destroyed more than 1,000 tankers in a period of just five days.

In comparison, Col. Steve Warren said that the U.S. had taken out only 116 tanker trucks, the “first strike” to target ISIS’ lucrative black market oil business, which funds over 50 per cent of the terror group’s activities.

U.S. air strikes targeting ISIS oil assets are so rare that PBS was caught using footage of Russian fighter jets bombing an oil storage facility in Syria and passing it off as evidence of the U.S. targeting the Islamic State’s oil infrastructure.

U.S. military pilots have also confirmed that they were ordered not to drop 75 per cent of their ordnance on ISIS targets because they could not get clearance from their superiors.

“You went 12 full months while ISIS was on the march without the U.S. using that air power and now as the pilots come back to talk to us they say three-quarters of our ordnance we can’t drop, we can’t get clearance even when we have a clear target in front of us,” said House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, R-Calif, while retired four-star U.S. general Jack Keane labeled the policy ” an absurdity from the beginning.”

Numerous analysts claim that the Obama White House’s fifteen month wait before it began targeting the primary funding mechanism behind ISIS was part of a tacit policy to help the Islamic State overthrow Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.

Earlier this year a document emerged confirming that the Pentagon foresaw the rise of ISIS and that western support for Al-Qaeda groups and other anti-Assad rebels in Syria would lead to the emergence of a “Salafist Principality” that would help to “isolate” Assad.

“The bottom line – the almost irrefutable truth – is that the US and its regional allies were all-in on the “use Sunni extremists to bring about regime change in Syria” strategy from the word “go”, and the direct result of that strategy is ISIS,” reports Zero Hedge, adding, “The US didn’t want to cut off Islamic State’s funding, because without money, the group couldn’t fight Assad.”

The New York Times is also reporting that US Central Command may have engaged in a year long effort to deliberately conceal the fact that the United States’ plan to demolish ISIS was not effective.

Evidence also continues to emerge that ISIS is receiving support from state sponsors of terror like Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

$800,000,000 worth of ISIS oil has been sold in Turkey, a supposed U.S. ally. ISIS trucks are routinely allowed to cross back and forth between the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa and Turkey, while the NATO country facilitates black market oil sales on behalf of the terror group.

As Nafeez Ahmed documents, a large cache of intelligence recovered from a raid on an ISIS safehouse this summer confirms that “direct dealings between Turkish officials and ranking ISIS members was now ‘undeniable.’”

Even those of us who have worked in Washington for many years and become accustomed to the inner workings of government can still be amazed by what lurks behind the curtain sometimes. Case in point: the Environmental Protection Agency. Most Americans have at least heard of the EPA, even if they have only a dim notion of what the agency actually does. It tends to skate along under the radar, unless something unusual happens, such as the toxic spill that turned the Colorado’s Animas River orange last August. Of course, what really made the spill unusual is that the EPA itself caused it.

Otherwise, Americans don’t hear much about the agency. So many of them would probably be as unpleasantly surprised as I was by a new report by Open the Books, a nonprofit group that promotes government transparency. Its look into the EPA’s spending habits is alarming, to put it mildly.

The first thing that strikes you is the EPA’s spendthrift ways. Even if times were flush and government coffers were overflowing (which is far from the case), the agency spends money like it’s expecting the Second Coming next week. The Open the Books audit covered tens of thousands of checks the EPA wrote from 2000 to 2014, with hundreds of millions going toward such things as luxury furnishings, sports equipment, and “environmental justice” grants to raise awareness of global warming.

The second thing that hits you is where the rest of the money goes. The headline of an op-ed by economist Stephen Moore in Investor’s Business Daily sums it up well: “Why Does the EPA Need Guns, Ammo, and Armor to Protect the Environment?” And not just a few weapons. Open the Books found that the agency has spent millions of dollars over the last decade on guns, ammo, body armor, camouflage equipment, unmanned aircraft, amphibious assault ships, radar and night-vision gear, and other military-style weaponry and surveillance activities.

“We were shocked ourselves to find these kinds of pervasive expenditures at an agency that is supposed to be involved in clean air and clean water,” said Open the Books founder Adam Andrzejewski. “Some of these weapons are for full-scale military operations.”

Among the EPA’s purchases:

$1.4 million for “guns up to 300mm.”
$380,000 for “ammunition.”
$210,000 for “camouflage and other deceptive equipment.”
$208,000 for “radar and night-vision equipment.”
$31,000 for “armament training devices.”

The list goes on. It’s filled with the kind of equipment you’d expect to be purchased by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, not an agency ostensibly designed to protect the environment.

But as it turns out, armed, commando-style raids by the EPA are not unheard of. One such raid occurred in 2013, in a small Alaskan town where armed agents in full body armor reportedly confronted local miners accused of polluting local waters. Perhaps the agency is gearing up for more operations like that one?

If so, the EPA wouldn’t be all that unique. According to the Justice Department, there are now 40 federal agencies with more than 100,000 officers authorized to carry guns and make arrests. They include the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The EPA audit underscores the need for serious budget cuts at the agency. In July, before the Colorado spill and the Open the Books report, environmental policy expert Nicolas Loris called on Congress to shrink the EPA’s budget, outlining several specific cuts that could be done immediately and with no detrimental effect on the environment.

“The proposed cuts outlined here merely scratch the surface of a rogue agency that has wildly spent and regulated outside its purview,” Loris concluded. After reviewing the Open the Books report, who can disagree?

Under the Obama Administration, researchers bought up to two fetal brains per month using taxpayer dollars through the National Institutes of Health, according to documents the news website obtained through a public records request.

The Free Beacon report continues:

Between 2012 and the present the project spent $10,161.73 on fetal brain tissue, according to records maintained by the university and additional invoices obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Funds were used for two fetal brains and over a dozen tissue samples totaling $7,130 from StemExpress, the California-based tissue company that had to cut ties with Planned Parenthood following the Center for Medical Progress videos.

[Researcher Dr. Nada] Zecevic also spent federal funding on two second trimester brains from Advanced Bioscience Resources Inc. costing over $300, and an intact calvarium for $645.

Fee lists obtained by the news outlet show that StemExpress also charged $45 for “tissue cleaning,” $80 for storage, and delivery fees, the news agency reports.

In total, Zecevic received almost $3.8 million in taxpayer-funded grants for her research, according to the report. The neurologist’s study involves comparing brain tissue between humans and mice to find a cure for schizophrenia and autism, the report states.

Internal emails obtained by the news outlet show that the university researcher corresponded with Planned Parenthood and StemExpress about obtaining the aborted babies’ brains. Zecevic also worked with a New York brain bank to buy aborted babies’ brains, according to the report.

Ironically, the researchers seemed to regard their animal subjects with more respect than their human ones. The report continues:

The grant application, which was approved, explains how the researchers took care to reduce the amount of pain for the mice that were used as test subjects.

“Procedures for ensuring that discomfort, distress, pain, and injury will be limited: There is no pain or discomfort associated with anesthesia and immediate subsequent decapitation,” the document states.

This isn’t the first time the Obama administration has supported using tax dollars to pay for aborted babies’ body parts in research. In 2012, the Obama administration also faced criticism after it approve an experiment using brain stem cells of unborn children victimized by abortion, LifeNews.com previously reported.

“Disagreement is not hatred, and the truth is not hate speech. Somebody needs to tell that to President Obama.”

If you have ever wondered whether President Obama has an abiding hostility to people of Christian faith, wonder no more. He believes we are a threat to national security. If you are a sincerely devoted follower of Jesus Christ, your president believes you are a potential domestic terrorist.

I do not exaggerate. In a gathering at George Washington University this week, Obama’s assistant attorney general for national security, John Carlin, revealed that the Department of Justice is creating a brand new position just to monitor us. The position, domestic terrorism counsel, will be created to combat the “real and present threat” of domestic terrorism.

And where, pray tell, does this threat come from? From the Muslim Brotherhood, which has a stated goal of exterminating Western civilization and sabotaging our miserable house from within? Nope. From ISIS, which is actively recruiting jihadists in all 50 states? Nope. Jihadists who are sneaking into the United States disguised as Syrian refugees? Nope.

No, the real threat to our national security, according to our president and his minions, is coming from the Family Research Council and the American Family Association.

Carlin lauded the work of the thoroughly discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, which is so blatantly and maliciously biased against Christians that other parts of Obama’s administration – the FBI, the Pentagon, and the U.S. Army – are getting as far away from the SPLC as they can.

But the folks at SPLC are still useful to the DOJ, which is desperate to paint conservative Christians as a greater threat to our domestic tranquility than people who are determined to decapitate us in the name of Allah.

According to Carlin, the SPLC does the noble work of “examining what the threat is, observing it, and reporting on it,” and claimed that its work is “very important.”

The SPLC, mind you, is the group whose “hate group” map was used by domestic terrorist Floyd Corkins to identify the Family Research Council as his target for a massacre. Only the bravery of an unarmed security guard prevented what could have been one of the worst mass shootings in U.S. history. In other words, if anybody’s the hate group here, it’s the SPLC.

Heidi Beirich, the SPLC’s intelligence project director, teamed with Carlin to demonize pro-family groups. She told a reporter that the SPLC classifies groups as hate groups “on the basis of ideology.” In other words, the SPLC will vilify groups because of what they believe, not because of what they do or because they have demonstrated any propensity toward violence.

And she flatly admits it. “We post groups on the basis of ideology, not whether they’re violent or not.”

And then she identified two groups by name: Family Research Council and American Family Association. “[W]hat they’re putting out is anti-gay material so gay people are pedophiles, or molesters, or whatever the case may be, and that’s why they’re on the list and that’s the direct analogy.”

We – FRC and AFA – “are simply pushing propaganda that [the SPLC] consider(s) hateful.” She acknowledges that theirs is a purely subjective standard: “It’s our opinion that it’s hateful, and that’s basically it.”

The plain truth is that we at FRC and AFA don’t hate a living soul. We love homosexuals enough to tell them the truth about the physical and spiritual dangers of the homosexual lifestyle. We want something better for them than the darkness and disease associated with homosexual behavior. We want them to come out of that darkness into the light of the gospel of Christ. We are for the homosexual, and so we must be against the normalization and promotion of homosexuality.

Note the SPLC is no longer accusing FRC and AFA of hate or of violence based on some objective standard. They have simply made a purely subjective assessment that our beliefs about human sexuality and our defense of natural marriage are so offensive to them that we must become the target of the unlimited resources of the federal government.

Do we disagree with the homosexual lobby about homosexuality? Of course. Do we hate them? Absolutely not. Do we advocate violence against them? Never have, never will. We are simply determined to tell the moral, spiritual, and physical truth about non-normative sexual behavior.

Bottom line: disagreement is not hatred, and the truth is not hate speech. Somebody needs to tell that to the president.

Record 94,610,000 Americans Not in Labor Force

The number of Americans not in the labor force exceeded 94 million for the second time in a row last month hitting a new record high, according to new government data released Friday morning. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that a record 94,610,000 people (ages 16 and over) were not in the labor force in September. In other words they were neither employed nor had made specific efforts to find work in the prior four weeks.

The number of individuals out of the work force last month — due to discouragement, retirement or otherwise — represented a substantial 579,000 person increase over the most recent record, hit in August, of 94,031,000 people out of the workforce.

While the prior two months saw a labor force participation rate of 62.2 percent, September’s participation rate dropped to 62.4 percent, matching the lowest level seen since October 1977.

The civilian labor force in September clocked in at 156,715,000, declining by 350,000 people, compared to August’s 157,065,000 labor force level.

In total 148,800,000 people were employed last month, 7,915,000 were unemployed, and 5,955,000 people were looking for a job.

Overall the Labor Department reported that the economy added 142,000 nonfarm payroll jobs in September and the unemployment rate remained at 5.1 percent.

Obama Administration Enables ‘Boy Play’

God help us. Here’s what America’s newly homosexualized, “values neutral” military looks like.

Last week, in a strange fit of actual news reporting, the New York Times published an exposé revealing that, under this Obama administration, the Department of Defense is not only permitting the homosexual abuse of little boys at the hands of Muslim allies in Afghanistan, but is effectively facilitating it. A handful of U.S. servicemen have had enough and are courageously blowing the whistle on this unimaginably evil policy. Naturally, they’re being punished and drummed out of the service for doing so.

“Rampant sexual abuse of children has long been a problem in Afghanistan, particularly among armed commanders who dominate much of the rural landscape and can bully the population,” reports the Times. “The practice is called bacha bazi, literally ‘boy play,’ and American soldiers and Marines have been instructed not to intervene – in some cases, not even when their Afghan allies have abused boys on military bases, according to interviews and court records. …”

“At night we can hear them screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything about it,” Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father, Gregory Buckley Sr., who recounted his conversation with the Times. “My son said that his officers told him to look the other way because it’s their culture,” Buckley added.

Isn’t multiculturalism peachy?

I sat down with Dr. Judith Reisman, research law professor and director of the Liberty Center for Child Protection, to discuss this shocking development. “Unfortunately, this has been going on for years, with the knowledge of our American government,” she told me. “I just received an email from one of my German child-protection colleagues. She included several links to violent torture films and photos of hundreds of real children being brutalized by animals in horrific scenes. There is no way the FBI, CIA, Interpol and all other policing agencies do not know about this, which is readily accessible.

“This is glamorization of ’50 Shades of Grey’ novels and films acted out on children, chained to beds, tortured, never to recover,” she added. “It’s a natural outgrowth of generations of Western ‘fee sex’ conditioning via the ‘sex science’ of violent bi/homosexual pedophile Alfred Kinsey in 1948 and his ‘pamphleteer’ Hugh Hefner, beginning in 1953. Kinsey’s claim he proved ‘children are sexual from birth’ has been supplemented by slow, devious conditioning of future generations through child pornography in Playboy. Can people be so brainwashed that they really believe we have always been so demonic?” she asks.

Indeed, Kinsey, though married to a woman who took part in his many filmed “scientific” orgies, was a promiscuous homosexual and sadomasochist. He managed to completely upend and twist the world’s perception of human sexuality in the 1950s and ’60s with his world famous “Kinsey Reports.”

Even today, most are completely unaware that during his tenure at Indiana University, Kinsey facilitated, with stopwatches and ledgers, the systematic sexual abuse of hundreds, if not thousands, of children and infants – all in the name of science.

Among other things, Kinsey asserted that children are “sexual from birth.” He further concluded, based upon experiments he directed and documented in his infamous Table 34, that adult-child sex is harmless, even beneficial, and described child “orgasm” as “culminating in extreme trembling, collapse, loss of color, and sometimes fainting. …” Many children suffered “excruciating pain,” he observed, “and [would] scream if movement [was] continued.” Some “[would] fight away from the [adult] partner and may make violent attempts to avoid climax, although they derive[d] definite pleasure from the situation.”

Yeah. Sounds like it.

Disturbing though this may be, what’s equally disturbing is that nearly all of today’s liberal “comprehensive sex education” curricula – such as that pushed by extremist groups like the National Education Association (NEA), Planned Parenthood and the Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) – is derived entirely from the criminally fraudulent, pro-pedophile “research” of Alfred Kinsey.

What’s even more disturbing is that, in addition to the DOD, Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has likewise embraced the debunked Kinsey sex-education model and has long pushed curricula based upon it.

You may recall, for instance, that during his first term, the Obama administration provided on the HHS “Questions and Answers About Sex” website, a “Quick Guide to Healthy Living” section which, like Kinsey, outrageously claimed that “Children are human beings and therefore sexual beings … which is healthy and normal.”

And what do “sexual beings” do? Well, they have sex, of course. “It’s hard for parents to acknowledge this,” admitted the page.

You think?

So we shouldn’t be surprised in the least that, since Obama repealed the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy a few years back, not only have we seen a massive spike in male-on-male homosexual assaults in the armed services, we now discover that this administration is looking the other way as similar homosexual assaults are being perpetrated against children. After all, “Children are sexual from birth,” right? They’re “born that way.”

And so are the men who rape them.

Judicial Watch Puts Hillary Clinton on the Spot over Abedin Patronage Job

I’m sure you’ve seen and read the usual DC establishment talking heads professing confusion as to why Hillary Clinton would make the “mistake” in setting up a separate email system to conduct government business as secretary of state. Of course, these types never see the obvious answer – because she had something to hide! And so did a lot of other Obama administration officials, some still running things at the State Department.

If you have any doubt about this, please take a look at the new State Department records we released yesterday that reveal Hillary Clinton personally signed the authorization for Huma Abedin, her then-deputy chief of staff, to become a special government employee.

The records also show that Abedin declined to provide complete information about her husband Anthony Weiner’s financial dealings. The records were uncovered as a result of a court order in a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that seeks records about the controversial, to put it charitably, employment status of Abedin (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:13-cv-01363)). The records show also that Abedin used a clintonemail.com account to communicate about her special status. (We know only that Abedin had a clintonemail.com account to conduct business. Neither Clinton nor the State Department are telling who else from the State Department participated in this shady Clinton email system.)

The lies on this particular issue began in February 2014, when the State Department assured Judicial Watch that it had searched several individual offices of the department, including the office of the executive secretary, which would have included the offices of the secretary of State and top staff. Relying upon the State Department’s misrepresentation that the agency conducted a reasonable search, Judicial Watch agreed to dismiss its lawsuit on March 14, 2014. Judge Emmet Sullivan reopened the lawsuit on June 19, 2015, in response to revelations about Clinton’s separate email system.

The newly uncovered documents show that Clinton personally signed the form for Abedin’s appointment as a “Special Government Employee/ senior advisor to Clinton on March 23, 2012.” The position description form details that Hillary Clinton certifies that Abedin’s “position is necessary to carry out Government functions for which I am responsible.” The Obama State Department blacked out Clinton’s signature on the form, allegedly to protect Clinton’s privacy.

As Politico, which first reported our find, points out, this document suggests that Mrs. Clinton is a liar:

Clinton, in an interview with MSNBC on Sept. 4, said she “was not directly involved” with Abedin’s job arrangement.

“Do you think [Donald Trump] had a point in raising the question of whether it was appropriate for her to be taking a State Department salary and also be paid by an outside company closely associated with your husband, by you?” asked reporter Andrea Mitchell.

“Well, I was not directly involved in that, but everything that she did was approved under the rules as they existed by the State Department,” Clinton said.

Obviously, she was directly involved and, as you’ll see below, the “rules” were violated left and right.

The documents detail Abedin’s “expert” position, which evidently also required a continued top secret clearance:

As a Senior Advisor (Expert) to the Secretary, the incumbent will provide expert advice and guidance on varying issues related to the planning of logistical arrangements for foreign and domestic missions, and for the coordination of the foreign policy requirements, press, and protocol and security components necessary for a successful and sensitive foreign policy mission.

The documents raise questions about whether Abedin’s position complied with a federal law that prevents special government positions created for work already performed by current employees. On June 4, 2012, Abedin states “NO, MY NEW POSITION IS IDENTICAL TO MY OLD POSITION.”

Abedin also expressed concern in March 2012 about the State Department finally paying for her travel from New York. In a March 27, 2012, email about her “conversion to expert appointment,” Abedin writes:

“Have a few questions. One is time sensitive, I need to come down to state tomorrow. Can state start paying for my travel since ny is now my base? I’ve been paying personally for the last 6 months. Thanks.”

The records show that there was a rush to appoint Abedin to the position, which was initially set to begin on April 1, 2012. When Abedin was finally approved in June 2012, she had failed to provide her husband Anthony Weiner’s financial information, despite repeated requests from the State Department.

In a March 21, 2012, email, Cynthia Motley, administrative officer in the State Department, writes to Abedin requesting the financial disclosure information:

Huma, I have been advised to begin the process to convert you from your Non-Career SES position as Senior Adviser (Expert-SGE) in the Office of the Secretary which is to be effective April 1, 2012. In order to initiate the conversion appointment, I will need the following from you as soon as possible:

The attached SF-278 Financial Disclosure Report must be completed for your termination from the Non-Career SES appointment.

On April 3, 2012, in a response to Motely, Abedin begins what turns out to be a lengthy period of non-compliance:

Anthony filed his separate disclosures last june. Nothing has changed. I don’t need to include his stuff on mine, right? Just want to confirm Thanks!

On April 4, Motley again advises Abedin that Weiner’s assets must be disclosed:

I have confirmed with the Legal Office that his assets are imputed to you so his assets are reportable on your OGE-278 which should include all of 2011 and 2012 up to the date.

In May 2012, after Abedin has still failed to file the required disclosures, Sarah Taylor, the chief of the State Department’s financial disclosure division, is forced to contact Abedin in an email marked “Importance: High:”

I have your termination OGE-278 report and the financial disclosure report for the Senior Advisor position. While reviewing your termination OGe-278, I noticed your spouse had several assets that weren’t reported on your report. Can you kindly provide an end of year summary statement so that I can update your report accurately?

After months of non-productive wrangling, Abedin was appointed to the SGE position on June 3, 2012, without having submitted the proper financial disclosure documents for Weiner, as indicated in a June 22 email from Taylor to Marcela Green of the DOS Financial Disclosures Division:

Yes, she [Abedin] was supposed to give me some information regarding her spouse’s assets and she has not done so.

Another email suggests that as of August 29, 2013, Abedin still hadn’t provided the required financial information.

In a June 6, 2012 email, Abedin admits, “I don’t really know [Weiner’s] clients or his work.” This email chain discloses that Abedin had already been cleared for the “other position.”

So if the “rules” had been followed, Abedin would never have gotten her sweetheart job that allowed her to double dip from federal taxpayers and Clinton Foundation/Clinton front operations.

Interestingly, the State Department produced these records after performing a second search of State Department offices. The first search, conducted in early 2014, produced only eight pages. I wonder how these documents were missed in the first place? You can bet we’ll be asking the court the same thing.

This same litigation saw the development of the FBI and Justice Department rejecting an order by Judge Sullivan to produce information about searching for records on the server and other material reportedly taken from Mrs. Clinton. As Judicial Watch responded in a court filing this week:

We still do not know whether the FBI… has possession of the email server that was used by Mrs. Clinton and Ms. Abedin to conduct official government business… We also do not know whether the server purportedly in the possession of the FBI – an assumption based on unsworn statements by third parties – is the actual email server that was used by Mrs. Clinton and Ms. Abedin to conduct official government business… Nor do we know whether any copies of the email server or copies of the records from the email server exist.

These documents show the Huma Abedin received special treatment contrary to law and that Hillary Clinton personally approved a corrupt patronage position.

These new documents are smoking gun evidence of what Hillary Clinton’s separate email server was all about – keeping secret the corruption of her and her top staff.

What else is out there?

Politico reported that, since June 2012, Abedin had been double-dipping, working as a consultant to outside clients while continuing as a top adviser at State. Abedin’s outside clients included Teneo, a strategic consulting firm co-founded by former Bill Clinton counselor Doug Band. According to Fox News, Abedin earned $355,000 as a consultant to Teneo, in addition to her $135,000 SGE compensation.

Teneo describes its activities as providing “the leaders of the world’s most respected companies, nonprofit institutions and governments with a full suite of advisory solutions.” [Emphasis added] Outside of the U.S., it maintains offices in Dubai, London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Brussels, Washington, and Beijing. Teneo was also the subject of various investigative reports, including by the New York Times, which raise questions about its relationship with the Clinton Foundation. This week, Politico also reported that other State Department documents show Abedin was asked to help both the Foundation and Teneo in April 2012.

Clinton Email Games Put Nation at Risk

The Clinton email scandal isn’t only about the subversion of the rule of law. It is about the nation’s security and, frankly, the safety of senior government officials. Mrs. Clinton’s email games, ironically, may have put her own personal safety at risk.

If you have any doubt take a look at the more than 50 pages of new emails from the clintonemail.com server account of Huma Abedin, a former top aide to Hillary Clinton during her tenure in the State Department. The emails discuss seemingly sensitive security and foreign affairs issues and raise questions about the handling of classified material. The documents were obtained as result of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking Huma Abedin’s government business emails conducted on non-state.gov email accounts (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00684)). The emails were produced from a search of State Department records, as the agency continues to delay full production of records turned over by Ms. Abedin recently.

In 2012, then-Secretary of State Clinton traveled to Finland (June 27-28), Latvia (June 28), Russia (June 28-29), and Switzerland (June 29-30). On June 26, 2012, former Principal Deputy Executive Secretary Pamela Quanrud writes to Abedin:

Huma – if I could lobby to get to Geneva on Friday night. We have a big data dump to get from beth jones and others there to prep for Saturday, and it would be a lot better for us to work through the night there (with access to classified) than be stuck in St. Pete with no classified at all.

Abedin responds from her huma@clintonemail.com account the next morning (June 27):

Let’s think for a minute about why this matters and what kind of insight that gives us into how Clinton and her team operated in the U.S. State Department.

The emails show Abedin used the non-secure clintonemail.com server to discuss sensitive travel and operations security information that could have placed the personal security of Clinton and other government officials at risk, such as real-time location information while traveling abroad, such as hotel and travel arrangements.

On May 31, 2012, as Clinton and her State Department entourage are traveling in Scandinavia, Abedin writes to Clinton’s then-Special Assistant Lona J. Valmoro:

Abedin to Valmoro: “Let me know when u r leaving.”

Valmoro: “We are en route to airport now. Could we do during the 45 minute drive from Oslo airport to hotel. Everyone can dial into Ops and will have minis.”

Abedin: “When? Who’s in car with her?”

Valmoro: “Cheryl is with her now. If we are wheels up by 9:35 pm, land at 11:25, start call by 11:35 or 5:35 pm EDT?

Abedin: “[I] could barely hear [Hillary Clinton] with the background….”

Can you imagine if these unsecure emails fell into the hands of bad guys? The threat to the safety of top public officials, especially Mrs. Clinton, could have been enormous.

On June 25, 2012, Abedin writes that she is willing to discuss travel details while on a “packed train.” With the subject line “Could we get on the phone together at 11:30 – in advance of the [Russia] trip call?” Abedin writes to several people, including Quanrud:

I see call got moved to noon. We can talk right before then if you want. All shuttles were canceled this morning and I am sitting on a packed train so hard for me to talk but we can def do calls. [Emphasis added]

Other emails provide details of Clinton’s plans and schedules for the 2012 trip that included Russia, including the timing of calls on trip planning.

Other emails show sensitive foreign affairs information is contained on Abedin’s Clinton server account. A June 29, 2012, email discloses a move to hold a meeting concerning Syria in Geneva. Pamela Quanrud writes to Abedin and Valmoro an email with the subject: “UK and P3 meeting requests:”

UK has asked to meet at 8:45 ahead of a 9:30 with UK. US and France to coordinate. Jake thought P3 meeting necessary – what about UK? Should we say yes to 8:45?

Abedin writes back two hours later:

UK meaning hague?

Another email details a request from the Iraqi Foreign Minister for a bilateral discussion with Clinton. Abedin uses her clintonemail.com account to approve the “pull aside,” writing, “fine to add to list.”

Another document shows Abedin approving, weeks ahead of time, the Hanoi Sheraton for Clinton’s trip on July 10-11, 2013, to Vietnam. A June 22, 2012, email from Tulinabo S. Mushingi, who is now the U.S. Ambassador to Burkina Faso, details the hotel options in Hanoi for Abedin, with Sheraton as the number one option. The email details both the luxury and security aspects of the hotel:

The Sheraton hosted the Secretary in July 2010 and October 2010 and much of the hotel staff remains, so they know the drill The July 2010 visit S stayed in the Imperial Suite (shown in attachment and the suite available for this visit); in October 2010, since another Head of State was also in the Sheraton and occupied the Imperial Suite S stayed in the Presidential Suite. The Imperial suite is spacious and very bright and airy, with lake views. It has a large bathroom with Jacuzzi style tub and walk in shower. The Sheraton was redecorated and refurbished within the past 12 months, so it is in excellent condition and is very attractive. From a logistics perspective the hotel is excellent as it has a very large parking area for staging motorcades. It’s location is in close proximity to government buildings where most meetings are likely to be held.

These emails your JW forced out through a federal lawsuit show that Huma Abedin used her separate clintonemail.com account to conduct the most sensitive government business, endangering not only her safety but the safety of Hillary Clinton and countless others. And why on Earth would Ms. Abedin and Mrs. Clinton recklessly use this unsecure system to discuss foreign affairs and sensitive matters such as the Syria conflict?

While the US Congress welcomed the socialist Pope Francis to speak before them, the Obama administration was quietly betraying the American people (again) and acting treasonously against the US Constitution.

The Pope has been rubbing elbows with American leaders, schmoozing with Washington’s elite, and espousing traditionally liberal talking points during highly politicized speeches, which has kept the media plenty busy covering his every move. As this has been happening, the Obama administration quietly released a man named Abdul Shalabi without anybody taking notice, until now.

Shalabi was being held at the infamous Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba, so you know that he’s probably not the best person on the planet. That much is confirmed after you find out why he was put there to begin with.

Shalabi has a long resume in the world of terror, reports Derrick Wilburn for Allen West. Just how deep are his ties to terror? Well, you don’t get much more terroristic than Osama bin Laden, who Shalabi served as a bodyguard for, but it goes even deeper than that.

Shalabi was also a bodyguard for Kalid Sheik Mohammed, one of the masterminds behind the 9-11 attacks.

The Bush administration said that Shalabi was “too dangerous to release.” Well, if so, then the Bush administration should have proved their assertions, assertions I believe would have been clear and then removed Shalabi from the face of the earth. Derrick Wilburn points out, “The very idea that this man who worked side-by-side with Osama bin Laden can somehow be “rehabilitated” to no longer want to kill infidels, and, be rehabbed by the Muslim government of an Islamic nation – is beyond laughable. What does Obama think he’s going to do there now, train to become a valet? Take up needlepoint? Oh, I know, maybe open a bakery and make cakes for gay weddings.”

Exactly right. However, instead of dealing with Salabi justly, finding him guilty of his crimes and administering proper justice, the criminal Obama administration has set him free, and you can be sure he will re-engage the jihad, just as the five jihadis did that Obama illegally released in a swap for deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

So, once again Barack Hussein Obama puts America in jeopardy so he can side with the Muslims, and at the same time, House Speaker John Boehner, who has engaged the fight at all since he’s been in office, retreats to a life of retirement at tax expense. I say good riddance to Boehner, but when is Congress going to impeach the traitor-in-chief for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, including setting free a known jihadist, who will sure as the devil engage in the fight against the united States of America.

We’re DOOMED: Look what Iran “discovered” during the very first nuke inspection

The Obama administration has been touting the checks and balances through inspections that will ensure Iran plays by the letter of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). They’ve stated there will be consequences to any violations by Iran – I don’t know what, because any restoration of sanctions requires a committee. As well, there was supposed to be a complete disclosure of any related documents to the U.S. Congress – but then we found out about the side deals between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran.

And here’s just another example of how completely absurd this whole “deal” is, with the Iranians actually allowed to do their own inspections at one of its most sensitive sites.

Arutz Sheva (Israel National News) writes, ” As part of the recent nuclear deal, Iran on Monday handed over to the UN nuclear body alleged samples from the covert Parchin military base, which reportedly has been a key site used to test nuclear detonators. The samples were taken by Iranian scientists with UN scientists not allowed on the site.

The “environmental sampling from some specific parts within the Parchin complex” was conducted in the past week, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told state media. “It was done by Iranian experts, in the absence of IAEA inspectors,” Kamalvandi said, clarifying that International Atomic EnergyAgency (IAEA) staff who visited Iran last week were not allowed on the site.

The transfer of the materials comes in the framework of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) work to determine possible military aspects of Iran’s nuclear program by the end of the year, as part of a classified side deal between Iran and the IAEA that has been kept secret from the US Congress.”

That side deal stipulates that Iran will inspect Parchin itself, with no international inspectors allowed in. IAEA Chief Yukiya Amano on Sunday was granted brief access to Parchin during a one-day visit to the country, although his tour was a far cry from a full inspection of the site, which the IAEA has long requested access to that Iran has long denied.”

I would presume that in the case of wanting to establish good relations early in the stages of the JCPOA, Iran would be more accommodating — nah. Why should they when they hold the high ground? I’d like someone, anyone explain to me where Iran has shown any measure of contrition since “signing” the JCPOA. And of course the materials handed over by the Iranians are just perfect, kinda like Goldilock’s bowl of porridge — and that was a fairy tale too.

The Parchin military complex has been a controversial site and the Iranian regime has consistently kept inspectors from this site. “Despite Iran’s claims that Parchin is unrelated to its nuclear program, last October it admitted to using Parchin to test exploding bridge wires, used as nuclear detonators.”

Oops, another inconvenient truth for all parties involved, but then again what is truth regarding Iran? We will have no idea about what will exist on the ground in that country, now or in the future. And what is most disconcerting is the fact the West continues to acquiesce to Iran and accept their back handed actions. We have no verification apparatus in place to know what Iran is, or is willing, to do.

Some may say Iran is a sovereign country and has every right to restrict any access to its facilities. Nah, that would mean even as you seek to advance an agenda of terror in the world, you can make the case against transparency against evil. Perhaps the great Western powers back in 1936-1939 should have done something instead of allowing Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany to build its massive war machine. Ronald Reagan coined the phrase, “trust but verify”…with Iran we should not do the first because we will not be able to do the latter.

I’m no nuclear scientist but I know a little something about history. Every day Iran doesn’t have its nuclear program dismantled means we are marching closer to a greater global conflagration. Chamberlain said there would be “peace in our time.” Hitler said the 1938 Munich Accord was just a “piece of paper.” Just ask yourself, on which course do you believe we are embarking?

Who are the real enemies in the Middle East?

Is it ISIS – ransacking, raping and beheading its way across the region to carve out a new Caliphate and threatening terrorism inside U.S. borders – or is it Putin and his gang, cornering American statesmen in a deadly game of chess that could lead at any time to all-out nuclear war?

The answers may be conflicting, but it is clear that Obama has no idea what he is doing, and no way of containing all that confronts U.S. interests overseas. Check.

With Ukraine still boiling in the background, Vladimir Putin has taken things up a notch in Syria, by deploying 28 combat planes to aid Assad’s regime for reasons that don’t exactly rule out offensive attacks, or downplay concerns about Russian aggression..

This is just the latest and most pointed maneuver in the build-up of what has been dubbed “the largest deployment of Russian forces outside the former Soviet Union” since its collapse.

AFP reported that the Russia has sent in more than two dozen fighter planes to aid Assad against ISIS:

Russia has deployed 28 combat planes in Syria, US officials said Monday, confirming the latest move in Moscow’s increasing military presence in the war-torn nation.

“There are 28 fighter and bomber aircraft” at an airfield in the western Syrian province of Latakia, one of the officials told AFP… A second official… added there were about 20 Russian combat and transport helicopters at the base. That official also said Russia was operating drones over Syria.

This already complicated proxy war is taking on new dimensions, and arming up for a new phase of conflict.

As SHTF recently noted:

Russia’s military build-up in Syria has grown to include the shipment of a half-dozen highly sophisticated battle tanks — and more troops— [the] first clear sign of offensive weapons arriving in Syria,” a defense official told Fox News. “This is the largest deployment of Russian forces outside the former Soviet Union since the collapse of the USSR.”

The catch, of course, is that Russia is preparing to defend Assad against ISIS – not to pick a fight with the West. But looks could be deceiving, and the schism between East and West cuts too deep to allow for a unified front against terrorism.

AFP reports:

The United States has warned that Russian military backing for the Syrian regime only risks sending more extremists to the war-torn country and could further hamper any effort at bringing peace.

Moscow, meanwhile, has been on a diplomatic push to get the coalition of Western and regional powers fighting the Islamic State group to join forces with Assad against the jihadists.

The maneuver is interesting, because evidence continually points towards the covert Western-funding of Islamic State forces, as well as significant overlap between ISIS and anti-Assad rebel forces.

Putin’s latest tact would call the United States on the need to beat back the supposedly-unintentional outgrowth and takeover by the extremist ISIS forces in the region, and prioritize taking out America’s “number one terrorist threat” before belaboring the removal of Bashar al-Assad and empire building in the Middle East.

However, the bulk of United States’ diplomacy so far in the region appears much more concerned with Russia’s overt involvement than with eradicating ISIS forces. Record-sized war games have been acted out by both sides, and many military drills have doubled as stand offs that nearly sparked full-on war, according to reports. Will Putin call their bluff?

And what will it mean for the pending deal with Iran?

There is much, of course, that isn’t being said here, but on the surface, taking ISIS out of the equation would surely be a good thing.

As one commenter stated, “Excellent news. It’s time to get rid of the rebels so Syrians can return home.”

Good idea, only don’t hold your breath.

The Obama administration follows the Rahm Emanuel sentiments at every turn in taking advantage of a crisis. The illegal jailing of Kim Davis for following the law and ignoring an unlawful order from Bush appointed pro-sodomite Judge David Bunning was used as cover for the Obama administration to illegally plan regulation, which is imposing law (something the Executive Branch has not been given authority in the Constitution to do), to pay for mutilation surgeries for mentally ill men and women who think they are the opposite gender.

The Daily Caller reports:

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a planned new regulation Thursday that will require health insurers participating in Obamacare to cover more health procedures sought by the transgendered.

The new rule applies to every health insurer offering plans through Healthcare.gov or any of the state-run Obamacare insurance exchanges. It declares that insurers are prohibited from engaging in discrimination not only on the basis of sex, but also on the basis of gender identity.

In the past, several health insurance plans have categorically excluded health care related to transitioning between genders, often on the grounds that such procedures are often cosmetic, not medically necessary, and elective in nature. Now, such categorical bans will be disallowed, and insurers will have to cover many of the procedures.

HHS says the new rule won’t require insurers to cover all hormone treatments or sex reassignment surgeries, but it will almost certainly require them to cover a large number of them.

First, let’s put in place that the Executive Branch is acting unconstitutionally. Article 1, Section 1 of the US Constitution reads:

All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

How much power for legislation is left for the Executive Branch? How about for the federal courts? None, zero, zip, nada. The Congress has not passed any legislation that requires paying for mutilation surgeries or hormone treatments for mentally ill people under the judgment of God (Romans 1:18ff). Therefore, the Executive Branch has no authority to issue such a rule against health insurers. They are usurping it.

Why don’t the insurance companies band together and tell the feds to go pound sand?

“We are not requiring coverage for gender transition surgery,” said Jocelyn Samuels, director of the Office for Civil Rights at HHS, who makes me wonder for the appearance if she is not some sort of transgendered person. “We are simply saying that insurers must apply nondiscriminatory treatment … if they all exclude all gender identity treatment that will be a violation of the law.”

Well, Samuels can say that all she likes, but the reality is that the federal government, under the Constitution, has no authority to tell anyone who they may or may not discriminate. We discriminate all the time. It’s protected in the First Amendment under the idea of peaceably assembling. We assemble with those of like mind and discriminate from assembling with those we are against ideologically.

How is Samuels attempting to justify her claims?

CNBC reports, “As an example, Samuels said the department would question a decision by an insurer to deny coverage to a person for a hysterectomy—the removal of ones’ uterus—if it were recommended by their doctor as part of a gender dysphoria diagnosis, and if that insurer covered hysterectomies for other diagnosed reasons.”

Wait, so a hysterectomy is equivalent to a man who thinks he is a woman and wants to cut his privates off and have breast augmentation? Seriously? See what a reprobate mind does people? See why those who encourage reprobate minds are also worthy of the same punishment as the reprobates? This is insanity!

And at the end of the day, who will pay for all of this? That’s right, you Mr. and Mrs. America, because it will be money that will be added to your premiums and, of course, with the people in the illegal Obamacare program, there is no doubt that taxpayers will be on the hook for some of the costs as well.

So, the criminals continue to run the show while the rightful governors, the people, stand back and allow it. I’m wondering just how long it’s going to take the people to pull out the pitchforks, torches, tar and feathers and, of course, exercise their rights under the Second Amendment to “secure a free state.”

Full, Unedited 8th Video Confirms Planned Parenthood Sells Fully Intact Aborted Babies

Today, the Center for Medical Progress released the full, uncut video of the conversation between undercover investigators form CMP and top officials with StemExpress, which buys aborted babies and their body parts from Planned Parenthood. The full footage is of a shorter video that summarized the meetings earlier this week.

The release of the full, unedited video also comes one day after Planned Parenthood released a new report claiming the eight videos released exposing it were “altered.” The abortion giant says the videos were manipulated and therefore not eligible for serious inquiry by Congress, which has launched two joint investigations of the abortion corporation. Still, Planned Parenthood’s own paid for experts admitted that there was no evidence of any manipulation of the audio in any of the eight shocking videos.

The full two-hour-long video appears below:

While the videos have focused on the Planned Parenthood abortion business, the biotech firm StemExpress, which buys and resells aborted baby body parts from the abortion giant, has filed a lawsuit seeking to block some information the Center for Medical Progress obtained in its three year undercover operation. Just a short time after a judge issued a ruling that the biotech firm StemExpress can’t block the Center for Medical Progress from releasing videos, it put together a preview of its latest installment.

StemExpress is a for-profit biotech supply company that has been partnered with Planned Parenthood clinics across the country to purchase human fetal parts since its founding in 2010. StemExpress’ Medical Director, Dr. Ronald Berman, is an abortion doctor for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in California.

In the video, Cate Dyer, the CEO of StemExpress, is shown in a lunch meeting with undercover operatives posing as representatives of a biotech firm. Dyer is laughing about how StemExpress purchases fully intact aborted babies from Planned Parenthood. She laughs about how shippers of the aborted babies would give a warning to lab workers to expect such a baby.

“Oh yeah, if you have intact cases — which we’ve done a lot — we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety,” she says.

“Tell the lab its coming,” she laughs about the intact unborn babies. “You know, open the box and go ‘Oh my God,’” Dyer adds.

The eighth video in the ongoing controversy over Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetal body parts shows the CEO of StemExpress, a major buyer of fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood, admitting the company gets “a lot” of intact fetuses, suggesting “another 50 livers a week” would not be enough, and agreeing abortion clinics should profit from the sale.

In the video, actors posing as another human biologics company meet with StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer, plus Vice President of Corporate Development and Legal Affairs Kevin Cooksy, and Procurement Manager Megan Barr. StemExpress and the actors are discussing a potential partnership to supply extra fetal body parts to each other.

“So many physicians are like, ‘Oh I can totally procure tissue,’ and they can’t,” expresses Dyer, seeming to indicate that abortion doctors must do the procedure in a special way to obtain useable fetal parts. Federal law requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

“What about intact specimens?” asks one of the actors. “Oh yeah, I mean if you have intact cases, which we’ve done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety,” replies Dyer. “Case” is the clinical term for an abortion procedure. An “intact case” refers to an intact abortion with a whole fetus. “The entire case?” asks an actor. “Yeah, yeah,” says Dyer. “The procurement for us, I mean it can go really sideways, depending on the facility, and then our samples are destroyed,” she explains past botched fetal dissections, “so we started bringing them back even to manage it from a procurement expert standpoint.”

Feticidal chemicals like digoxin cannot be used to kill the fetus in a tissue procurement case, so a fetus delivered intact for organ harvesting is likely to be a born-alive infant.

“What would make your lab happy?” asks one of the actors. “Another 50 livers a week,” says Dyer. “We’re working with almost like triple digit number clinics,” Dyer explains, “and we still need more.” She later notes, “Planned Parenthood has volume, because they are a volume institution.”

Dyer also agrees that payments to abortion clinics for fetal body parts should be financially beneficial to them.

“Do you feel like there are clinics out there that have been burned, that feel like they’re doing all this work for research and it hasn’t been profitable for them?” she asks. “I haven’t seen that.” StemExpress publishes a flyer for Planned Parenthood clinics that promises “Financial Profits” and “fiscal rewards” for clinics that supply aborted fetal tissue. It is endorsed by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dorothy Furgerson.

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). The Sacramento Business Journal reported in June that StemExpress has an annual revenue of $4.5 million.

David Daleiden, the head of CMP, commented on the newest video in a statement to LifeNews.

“StemExpress is the ‘weakest link’ that unravels Planned Parenthood’s baby parts chain–they readily admit the profit-motive that Planned Parenthood and their proxies have in supplying aborted baby parts,” he said. “Congress and law enforcement should immediately seize all fetal tissue files from StemExpress and all communications and contracts with Planned Parenthood. The evidence that Planned Parenthood profits from the sale of aborted baby parts is now overwhelming, and not one more dime of taxpayer money should go to their corrupt and fraudulent criminal enterprise.”

After the swarm of negative publicity surrounding Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies and their body parts, StemExpress was forced to cut ties with the abortion company.

Meanwhile, two committees in the House of Representatives have already launched investigations of Planned Parenthood. One committee is looking into whether or not the abortion business is breaking federal law by altering abortion procedures to better obtain aborted baby body parts for sale. Another committee, among other things, is investigating the Obama administration and whether there is any connection between it and the abortion giant.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform wants to know if the Obama administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services, provided any federal grants to Planned Parenthood that ultimately went to pay for the sales of aborted baby body parts and if they were used by Planned Parenthood to “support transactions involving fetal tissue.”

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all eight:

In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts.
In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs.
In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.”
In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.”
In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies.

Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana and Iowa’s governor has ordered a review of Planned Parenthood funding.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.

The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.

The loons on the far Left continue to prove my point showing that they have no grasp of the English language. For example: Illegal Aliens aren’t illegal, they just aren’t documented (even though they came here illegally.) Last I checked, there isn’t documentation for permission to enter into this country illegally. Welfare fraud isn’t fraud if you lie on the paperwork to get more money for you and your family. Apparently, lying also has levels of acceptance.

When it comes to the Obama’s and Clinton’s, well, I think at this point, if they told the truth lighting would strike, REPEATEDLY!

Let’s just deal with one of the more recent lies statements from Mr. Obama:

“Iran has agreed to the most robust and intrusive inspections and transparency regiment ever negotiated for any nuclear programs.” (Shades of Bill Clinton-isms and the North Korean agreement. Look how well that worked?) Let’s break it down, shall we? We’ll start off with some dictionary definitions:

ROBUST: capable of performing without failure under a wide range of conditions, or successful or impressive and not likely to fail or weaken.

INTRUSIVE: annoying someone by interfering with their privacy; intruding where you are not wanted or welcome.

TRANSPARENCY: (Do I really need to type this one out?)

Given the fact that Obama was a “professor,” you would think he could easily understand these common English words. Now, keeping those terms in mind, which of the following would make the grade?

We need to give a 24 day notice of inspections for facilities that are NOT on the list. If Iran refuses, they can appeal to the committee that they sit on and have the ability to veto a decision. FAIL!
When requiring a soil sample from around facilities believed to be handling nuclear material, Iran can decide to provide the sample themselves. No inspector involved.FAIL!
No Americans are allowed to be part of the inspection teams. FAIL!
Only inspectors approved by the Iranian Guard (secret service) are allowed to be inspectors.
Iran has received, or will receive, over $100 billion in sanction money. Will they or have they taken care of their poor or sick? Will they educate their children, both boys and girls? NO! They went right to the Russians to buy weapons and delivery systems. They have been hanging with the North Koreans at all missile launches and nuclear testing. Another FAIL!
The U.S. wants to require Iran to give a full accounting of its past actions. JUST before the deal was signed, Kerry said the United States already knows with certainty what Iran did in the past and that a full accounting is less important than monitoring what it does in the future. Then why did we ask for it? FAIL!
Iran can’t (or isn’t supposed to) supply weapons to others, yet they have been caught selling arms to many in their region, maybe to help see the fruition of “Death to America” or “Death to Israel.”FAIL!
We were told nothing of side deals. FAIL!
Within 5 years they are allowed to purchase conventional weapons. Hellooo… they’re already purchasing them from Russia! FAIL!
Within 10 years they will be able to purchase ballistic missiles. Newsflash, they’re already making deal with North Korea! FAIL!
And this just in from the AP… Iran will be allowed to use its OWN inspectors to check out a site that is suspected of enriching weapons grade uranium. This has a fox and henhouse feel don’t you think? FAIL!

Can those on the Left really believe that a regime who hates us, that is breaking the same rules it says it will abide by before the ink is dry, who shouts “death to America,” is buying weapons from Russia, and learning how to make and launch nukes from North Korea can be trusted to do their own inspections? This regime plays in the same sandbox with almost every one of our enemies and openly supports terrorists. We’re trusting them, why?

Would you leave an escaped child rapist to watch your 15-year-old daughter, because he promised to not touch her, all the while he has child porn up on his smartphone? REALLY?

As I write this, I received a Facebook message from someone calling me a “war monger” because I am against the Iran deal. Apparently, we only have 2 choices? One, sign a deal that gives Iran all the leverage and the U.S. none, or two, go to war. The Obama-Clinton camp knows how to spin.

There is a 3rd option. It was working with Iran, as it was with Russia… sanctions, tighter sanctions, and even tighter sanctions.

But I guess if I were president and was in my last days I would give as many presents as I could to as many of my family members as possible! Who knew it would be nuclear weapons and the destruction of Israel as well as the United States?

America, we are in a world of trouble!

Under Obamacare, Uninsured Rate Fell to Lowest Level in 50 Years. Why There’s More to That Number.

Nearly two years after Obamacare’s implementation, a new survey found that the number of uninsured Americans decreased to less than 10 percent of the population in the first three months of 2015, which is the lowest level in the survey’s 50-year history.

However, experts say the change could be mostly attributed to the Obama administration’s expansion of Medicaid. According to the survey from the National Center for Health Statistics, a division of the Centers for Disease Control, the number of people who were uninsured declined from 36 million in 2014 to 29 million in the first three months of 2015. Among adults between the ages of 18 and 64, the percentage of those who were uninsured dropped from 16.3 percent in 2014 to 13 percent in 2015’s first quarter.

The changes to the rate of uninsured come nearly two years after Obamacare’s implementation, which went into effect October 2013. While the drop speaks to the mission of the health care law, Ed Haislmaier, a health policy expert, pointed to outside factors that affect the decrease in the number of uninsured Americans.

In an interview with The Daily Signal, Haislmaier, a senior research fellow in health policy at The Heritage Foundation, said that though it’s likely the Obama administration was likely “in the ballpark” for the changes in the number of uninsured, the survey had limitations.

Primarily, the government relied on answers from 26,121 respondents as opposed to an actual count, such as the number of people enrolled in health coverage, data that can be provided by health insurance companies.

“They’re trying to say how many people didn’t have coverage and extrapolate from that,” Haislmaier said.

Most notably, though, the survey failed to address an increase to the Medicaid rolls, which stemmed from Medicaid expansion created under Obamacare.

According to Haislmaier, Medicaid enrollment from January 2014 to March 2015 went from approximately 60.9 million to 71 million.

The National Center for Health Statistics calculated the change to the rate of the uninsured in the 30 states and the District of Columbia that expanded Medicaid and the rate of the uninsured in the 19 states that decided not to expand the program. According to the survey, the percentage of adults between 18 and 64 years old who were uninsured in states that expanded Medicaid fell from 18.4 percent in 2013 to 10.6 percent in the first quarter of 2015. In states that opted against Medicaid expansion, the percentage of the uninsured fell from 22.7 percent in 2013 to 16.8 percent from January to March of 2015.

“Most of this is Medicaid,” Haislmaier said. “We know that for the first months of 2014, most of what happened in the private market wasn’t new coverage.”

The National Center for Health Statistics also looked at how the percentage of people who had public health plans, including Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and private plans, including employer-sponsored coverage and insurance purchased on the state and federal exchanges, has changed over time.

From 1997 to the first three months of 2015, the percentage of all Americans with public health coverage has increased steadily and has held at 34.6 percent from 2014 to March 2015. However, the percentage of Americans enrolled in private health coverage decreased from 1997 to 2013, when it increased from 59.6 percent to 64.5 percent as of March 2015.

Under Obamacare, Americans who do not have health insurance are forced to pay a monetary penalty to the Internal Revenue Service. The fine increases each year. Those without insurance had to pay $95 per adult or 1 percent of income in 2014. In 2015, the fine increases to $325 per person or 2 percent of income.

Though there has been an increase in the number of Americans enrolling in Medicaid after states adopted expansion, Nina Owcharenko, director of the Center for Health Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation, said the quality of care provided to Medicaid recipients differs substantially from those receiving private insurance.

In a paper examining Medicaid following its 50-year anniversary last month, Owcharenko noted that Medicaid recipients have less access to providers. Just 68.9 percent of doctors accept new Medicaid patients, a 2014 Centers for Disease Control study found. Medicaid recipients also have longer hospital stays and higher mortality rates, Owcharenko said.

RUSH; Big news from the Middle East about the Iran deal. It turns out that we were negotiating with the Iranians before Kerry was secretary of state. We were negotiating with the Iranians beforethe election of the “moderate”Rouhani. We were negotiating an Iranian nuke deal with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when nobody knew what was happening. The Regime was telling us that they couldn’t do anything ’cause Ahmadinejad was such a radical extremist goofball.We had to wait for a “moderate” to win, which was Rouhani, and after he did, that’s when we got serious. It turns out none of that’s true. We had been negotiating with the Iranians long before then and signaling our willingness that they can nuke up. This latest news is from MEMRI, which is a credible Middle East news source. Details coming up.

RUSH: What the Obama administration and the Democrat Party are doing to Chuck Schumer… They are treating Chuck Schumer as though he is a Republican, ’cause he is opposed — come out opposed to — the Iran deal. The attacks they are mounting on him are bigoted — some might even say racist or ethnic — highlighting in every report “Chuck Schumer, noted Jew,” it says in the New York Times, “Chuck Schumer, noted Jewish senator from New York,” Washington Post.

They’re saying that Schumer voted against the deal because he’s in bed with the big money Jewish lobby. They usually reserve that for Republican Jewish people. But Schumer is getting it all from sides, led by the White House.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Let me give you the latest here on the Iran story, because this is stunning. The American people have been lied to about another three issues regarding this deal, this so-called nuclear deal with Iran. First, it turns out that negotiations did not start because of Iran electing a “moderate,” “some guy we could do business with,” i.e., Rouhani. It turns out that the negotiations between the United States and Iran began when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was still president.

But we were told by the administration that there’s no way we could talk to Iran with Ahmadinejad in there because he’s a nutcase, he’s an extremist, he’s a lunatic. That was one of the excuses the Regime gave for not doing anything on Iran at that time. And there was pressure to do something, because the news coming out of Iran was they were bragging about how much progress they were making toward the discovery, creation, development of a nuclear power.

And the Regime was saying, “We can’t talk to ’em. There is no reason to get into negotiation with this guy ’cause he’s such a madman. We have to wait for them to have their next presidential election. Hopefully they’ll elect a moderate,” which they did. There’s no such thing, by the. This is another thing. There’s no such thing as a “moderate” Iranian leader, and there’s no such thing as a “conservative” Iranian cleric. The guy that runs Iran is the supreme leader.

His name is the Ayatollah Khamenei, and he is the heir to the first Ayatollah Khomeini. They spell their names differently. One is K-h-o, that would be the original Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and this guy spells his name with an A, other than that they’re identical. Anyway, he is the supreme leader, and whoever the “president” is a figurehead. Whoever the president is has to clear everything with the supreme leader.

The supreme leader is the genuine radical that runs this country and is state sponsor of terrorism all over the Middle East and parts of the world. The guy leading the chants “Death to America!” is the supreme leader, and he’s standing there with his Kalashnikov while doing it. He’s written a book on how to trick and how to fool the US and how they’re gonna wipe out Israel, after the deal has been effected between us, the other five nations, and Iran.

So who their “president” is matters not in terms of what the policy of the country is going to be. It is a genuine theological, religious dictatorship, and it’s run by the mullahs. The Ayatollah Khamenei has his buddy ayatollahs, and they make up the supreme leadership council. But the president is merely an office for the rest of the world to observe and think that Iran’s just like every other country.

“It has an elected president! It has a parliament! It’s a democratic process!” None of that is true. So the idea that we had to wait for Ahmadinejad to go? Why do you think they got rid of Ahmadinejad? Why do we even get Rouhani in the first place? Isn’t it amazing that we’re sitting around waiting for a “moderate,” and they deliver one? How’s that happen? They got rid of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because the guy was too open and honest about what the intentions of the extreme leader are.

Every time he opened his mouth, it was “Death to America! Death to Israel!” There was no Holocaust, whatever was it. Every time he opened his mouth. He made it tough for the supreme leader to put forth the false image that Iran is a moderate, harmless country simply wanting to move into the twenty-first century. So Obama says, “Well, we can’t negotiate with some nutcase like that! We gotta wait for a moderate.”

Bammo! They give us Rouhani as a moderate, we start negotiate — the point is we were negotiating with Ahmadinejad, because whenever you’re negotiating with your negotiating with supreme leader. Negotiating with the Ayatollah Khamenei. There isn’t a single one of these people over there can make a deal or any agreement within a deal without the approval of the Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader.

Now, the second thing we were lied about, even before the negotiations began, is John Kerry — who was a senator at the time — acting on Obama’s orders, had already recognized Iran’s right to enrich uranium on their own soil. This was known and reported all the way back in 2007. I think it is huge, because the United States has been trying for more than a decade to make Iran stop its uranium enrichment program. That involved the centrifuges and all that.

It turns out even before he was secretary of state, Senator John Kerry, as emissary of the Regime, green-lighted Iran’s right to go ahead and enrich uranium on their own soil. Now, the entire purpose… To illustrate the focus or the magnitude of this lie, the entire purpose of the economic sanctions that we slapped on Iran was to get them to stop their enrichment. Not only were the sanctions designed to get them to stop, they were designed to prevent them from being able to.

Because with the sanctions in place, they wouldn’t have the money, the capital, or access to materiel that they needed in order to move forward. And yet all of it did move forward while we had sanctions placed on them, while Ahmadinejad was the president — who we said we couldn’t negotiate with, who we said we couldn’t negotiate with. By the way, it’s been reported by that great Middle Eastern news service, MEMRI, M-E-M-R-I. All of this was a charade. The third thing, the third lie, third issue we were lied to about.

The Iranians are already pumping and selling their oil like crazy. Now, the Obama administration claims that sanctions are not yet been lifted on Iran as it relates to their oil. MEMRI is the Middle East Media Research Institute. The headline of the story: “Iranian Senior Officials Disclose Confidential Details From Nuclear Negotiations.” So the source for all this is a bunch of braggadocios Iranians who feel that it’s apparently okay now ’cause the deal’s done and Obama’s on his way to making sure the world and everybody else ratifies this thing.

“Iranian officials recently began to reveal details from the nuclear negotiations with the US since their early stages. Their statements indicate that the US initiated secret negotiations with Iran not after President Hassan Rohani, [supposedly] of the pragmatic camp, was elected in 2013, but rather in 2011-2012, in the era of radical president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.” Again, folks, there’s no difference in the two. Don’t doubt me on this. Because whoever’s “president” is nothing more than a placeholder.

He’s a public figurehead that’s designed to create or produce or present an image of Iran as your normal, everyday, run-of-the-mill nation that has a president, has a parliament, that has elections and so forth. “The disclosures also indicate that, already at that time, Iran received from the US administration a letter recognizing its right to enrich uranium on its own soil,” while we supposedly had sanctions in place. President Barack Obama has wanted Iran to be able to move forward on their nuclear program.

He made it possible for this to happen even while sanctions were supposedly in place. “Hossein Sheikh Al-Islam, an advisor to the Majlis speaker, specified that the letter had come from John Kerry, then a senator and head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Iranian vice president and top negotiator Ali Akbar Salehi said that Kerry, while still a senator, had been appointed by President Obama to handle the nuclear contacts with Iran.” Kerry was assuring the Iranians they had the right to enrich uranium on their soil since 2007.

Now, what’s happening here is Chuck Schumer has come out in opposition to the deal, and the administration is unloading on him. The administration and its buddies in the media are unloading on Chuck Schumer. They accuse him… Washington Post, New York Times, they accuse him of being “a Jew who is in bed with the Jewish lobby, wealthy interests.” All of the code words it had usually use to attack conservatives they are using here to attack Chuck Schumer.

James Taranto, Best of the Web, Wall Street Journal: “Bigotry, Pure and Simple — The ugly attacks on Senator Chuck Schumer.” Now, say what you want, Senator Chuck Schumer is getting a taste of his own tactics. I mean, he’s not a stranger to these tactics. He has used them himself. I just find it fascinating he’s on the receiving end of them now. And, by the way, other Jewish members of Congress are also getting to one degree or another the same kind of treatment as Chuck-U Schumer is getting from the administration, from the Regime.

Basically the attacks are all, “He’s not a loyal American! He’s a Jew first! He’s an Israeli Jew and he’s supporting the Jewish lobby.” It’s despicable. It really is. It’s the kind of stuff that when a conservative Republican comes out and supports Israel, that’s the kind of stuff they say about him. And now they’re accusing Chuck Schumer, but it goes worse than that. Now they’ve got McCain coming out, actively opposing this deal for his own reasons. McCain is saying the Senate is not gonna pass this; the Senate is not gonna make this reality.

Obama is saying, “I don’t need you! I already got the UN. It’s gonna happen. I don’t care. You guys are just exercising your own folly here. I don’t need you guys to vote for this. It’s already a done deal.” I gotta tell you, like I said yesterday, I really misjudged this whole Schumer thing. I thought that Schumer coming out for the deal meant that they had enough Democrat votes to pass this thing and that Schumer could thus vote against it and remain loyal to his base in New York.

Which, in majority (I guess) position opposes the deal. But it turns out that’s not the case. It turns out his opposition to it is real and substantive, and it’s extensively documented and written. But I tell you, folks, this is the kind of in-the-weeds stuff that I know that the low-information crowd couldn’t care less about; they’re not gonna understand it when they hear it.

But it’s huge, to me, the things that we’ve been lied to about and the objective that these lies reveal. All along we have been facilitating Iran’s quest? All along we have been helping them make it possible? It now puts… You know, people have analyzed the deal and said, “Yeah, Iran’s gonna get a deal in two years, 10 years.” It all makes sense now.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Stan in Winlock, Washington. Great to have you on the program Stan. Hello, sir.

CALLER: Hello and thank you very much for taking my call. I’ll get right to my point. I think Obama’s brilliant. He put Israel in a no-win situation when he got the UN to approve the Iran nuke deal. If Israel unilaterally destroys Iran’s nuke capability, it will be condemned by the UN and they become the outlaw nation, not Iran. If Israel does nothing, Iran gets the bomb and Israel is toast. And all this was done while framing himself as seeking peace.

RUSH: Let my let me ask you a question, and I’m not per se disagreeing with that other than your claim that Obama’s brilliant. He may be a brilliant deceitful political tactician. Do you think Israel cares? On one hand, Israel destroyed and vaporized. On the other hand, the UN thinks Israel is mean. Which do you think they would choose?

CALLER: Oh, I think they have no choice. I think they will react militarily.

RUSH: Well, do you know that Obama has told them that we will stop them if this try to do that? Do you know that in this deal in the United States and the other negotiating partners promise to protect Iran against such an Israeli attack?

CALLER: Yeah, and supposedly Obama’s saying there won’t be any war but Israel’s already said that they will have no choice.

RUSH: No, no.

CALLER: They have to defend themselves.

RUSH: Obama said there would be a war if we don’t approve the deal. Oh, really? Well, who’s gonna start that war? There won’t be a war if there…? There will be a war if there isn’t a deal? How does that work? If that’s the case, who starts that war? It must be the Ayatollah Khamenei ticked off you can’t get his nuclear power. Who would start that? If there is no deal, it guarantees a war? This is what Obama said. It’s a classic Obama tactic. “You either take my way or it’s Armageddon!”

On either health care or economy, the stimulus. Now the Iran deal. Whatever it is, “It’s either my way or it’s the end of the world! It’s either my way or hell! It’s either my way or the worst that can possibly happen.” He always creates a straw dog. And, by the way, there are always people, in Obama’s worldview, who want the worst that can happen. In this case, it would be Benjamin Netanyahu. His straw dog or straw man always has people who represent the evil that he says would naturally occur if his way doesn’t happen. Stan, I appreciate the call.

EPA accident causes more water pollution than fracking does

When the history of the Obama administration is written, few agencies will top the Environmental Protection Agency for the thuggish misuse of regulatory power to work the President’s will.

It’s just too bad that in the quest to shut down America’s coal industry, it failed to actually do the job it was initially mandated to do: Protect the nation’s environment.

The Environmental Protection Agency, the federal agency committed to protecting “human health and the environment,” jeopardized both Wednesday by accidentally releasing one million gallons of wastewater into Colorado’s Animas River.

EPA bureaucrats were using heavy machinery to nose around the Gold King Mine near Durango, Colorado, when they triggered the release of wastewater containing heavy metals like zinc, iron, and copper.

The Denver Post reported that residents of Durango “gathered along the Animas River to watch as the blue waters turned a thick, radiant orange and yellow just after 8 p.m., nearly 34 hours after the spill started.”

The wastewater dumped was an acidic solution loaded with heavy metals (e.g., lead, arsenic), which created a harmful environment for aquatic life and an intriguing video opportunity for witnesses. The Cortez Journal offers this clip, as well as additional details on the spill:

The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gold King Mine in San Juan County. A mining and safety team working on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency triggered the discharge, according to a news release issued by the EPA.

The EPA’s team was working with heavy equipment to secure and consolidate a safe way to enter the mine and access contaminated water, said Richard Mylott, a spokesman for the EPA in Denver. The project was intended to pump and treat the water and reduce metal pollution flowing out of the mine into Cement Creek, he said.

The agency’s initial response was to downplay the contamination. . . indicating the area was already polluted, implying there were basically no fish to kill.

…Due to current and longstanding water quality impairment associated with heavy metals there are no fish populations in the Cement Creek watershed and populations in the Animas River have historically been impaired for several miles downstream of Silverton.

Subsequently, EPA regional administrator Shaun McGrath had to walk back that initial response by saying, “Some of our earlier comments may have sounded cavalier about the public health concern and the concern for wildlife. I want to assure you that the EPA absolutely is concerned.”

Wildlife experts are not mollified, calling the EPA’s response deeply inadequate:

“Endangered species downstream of this spill are already afflicted by same toxic compounds like mercury and selenium that may be in this waste,” Taylor McKinnon, of the Tucson-based Center for Biological Diversity, said in a statement Thursday. “These species are hanging by a thread, and every new bit of toxic exposure makes a bad situation worse. EPA’s downplaying of potential impacts is troubling and raises deeper questions about the thoroughness of its mine-reclamation efforts.”

As an added bonus, the released wastewater will be streaming into Native American lands:

“This is an all too familiar story on the lax oversight responsibility of the US government,” said Russell Begaye, president of the Navajo Nation in a statement. “It is unfortunate that we have to once again tell our people to stay away from the river due to the release of dangerous chemicals into our water.” Begaye also called on the EPA to immediately release details of the water’s contaminants.

The city of Durango stopped pumping water out of the Animas River to prevent contaminating the city reservoir, out of concern for contamination of the drinking water.

This contrasts with fracking operations, often the target of environmental activists who claim it is a source of water pollution. In June, we noted that a report, released after years of study, indicated that fracking isn’t causing widespread damage to the nation’s drinking water.

So, the next time an eco-activist derides fracking, you can honestly point out the current EPA has been more toxic to the environment.

Fox News just published an exclusive confirming that Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani just visited Moscow even though he’s under a travel ban and prohibited from leaving Iran by United Nations Security Council sanctions. Evidence of sanctions-busting by Soleimani has the potentially to be politically disastrous for the Obama administration. The Iranian general was originally sanctioned for a wide range of terror activities, including against Americans: U.S. military officials estimate that he has the blood of roughly 500 American soldiers on his hands and that the majority of American causalities during the final two years of Iraq were because of his surrogates [a][b]. The JCPOA lifted many sanctions against Soleimani were lifted under the final JCPOA, generating a flood of criticism and forcing the administration to go into damage control mode.

At first the State Department denied the concession even existed, with Kerry claiming that it was a different Qassem Soleimani who was being delisted [c]. That was false and so the White House quickly had to concede that the general was indeed getting sanctions relief [d].

Administration officials then shifted to declaring that the delisting was the best they could do: it would occur 8 years into the deal, after the UN’s sanctions authority lapsed, and would never occur on a domestic level at all. In the meantime they emphasized that both sets of sanctions would be vigorously enforced at the international level.

A senior administration official told reporters on July 14 “IRGC Commander Qassem Soleimani will not be delisted at the United Nations… [until] 8 years into the deal, so sanctions are not being lifted early on Qassem Soleimani… his designation under U.S. sanctions will in no way be impacted by the [JCPOA]. Since secondary sanctions remain in place on the U.S. side, this means that sanctions on Qassam Soleimani will still have an international effect” Kerry made the same point on July 29 to the Senate Armed Services “under the United States’ initiative… [Soleimani] will never be relieved of any sanctions” [g]. The talking point was built into a White House memo titled “The Iran Deal: What You Need to Know About the JCPOA” [e]:

Pamela Geller says the only difference between the ISIS-inspired attack on her Muhammad cartoon contest in May and the attack on U.S. military servicemen last week is that her event was prepared. “The only difference between Garland and Chattanooga is that we were armed,” Geller told WND. “Both were carried out by devout Muslims,” said the activist, WND columnist and author of the blog PamelaGeller.com and the book “Stop the Islamization of America.” “Both involved the jihadis driving up in a car, and getting out and shooting,” she continued. “Our event in Garland was better prepared, and so the jihadis were stopped, whereas because of the unconscionable rule that our armed forces are not allowed to be armed on military bases, the jihadi in Chattanooga was able to kill four Marines and one sailor.”

WND asked Geller what she believed U.S. law enforcement should be doing to counter these attacks, besides allowing service members to carry weapons on military bases and at recruiting offices.

They will need to “take it upon themselves to learn about what Islam and jihad are really all about, and strategize how to stop it accordingly,” she said. “The Obama administration scrubbed jihad and Islam from all counter-terror (training) materials and programs.”

What the nation is seeing now from so-called “lone-wolf” Islamic terrorists like Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez “is the poisonous fruit of that fatal policy change,” Geller said. So she doesn’t expect the terror attacks to stop. More likely, she warns, they will accelerate. “The mosques must be monitored,” Geller said.

WND asked if the Chattanooga attack provides a sense of personal vindication, since it proves it doesn’t take a Muhammad cartoon contest to make someone a target of violent Muslim jihadists. “Of course, but in that case I am vindicated every day, as there are jihad attacks worldwide all the time that do not come as a response to any conceivable ‘provocation,’” Geller said. “Were the Marines ‘inciting’ or ‘provoking’? The idea that we were was absurd and craven on its face,” she said.

On the issue of Islamic immigration, Geller said Congress must face the truth and act accordingly. “End it, since there is no reliable way to distinguish between peaceful Muslims and jihadis,” she said.

All of Obama’s presumed causes of Islamic terrorism have now been debunked, such as poverty and lack of education or economic opportunity. Abdulazeez had a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and came from a middle-class family. His father had a government job and could afford to send his son to visit Jordan for seven months.

‘The war is here’

Radicalization has no boundaries, Geller said. The only common denominator among Islamic terrorists is Islam itself. “The war is here. ISIS is here. This is just the beginning,” Geller said. “The Obama administration can no longer avoid the consequences of avoiding reality. And we, the American people, are the ones who will continue to pay for Obama’s Shariah compliance – with blood and untold suffering. There are no lone wolves in the global jihad. There are millions of Muslim soldiers all over the world who are all following the same playbook – the Quran – and the same ideology – Islam.”

Obama: No Federal Grants for Groups Helping Sex Trafficking Victims That Don’t Push Abortions

A new report today indicates the Obama administration has put new rules in place for organizations that help women victimized by sex trafficking. The new federal guidelines essentially say that the administration will no longer provide grants for groups that don’t push abortion on sex trafficking victims. The only groups that will be eligible for federal grants under the new Obama administration rules are those groups willing to victimize women again by pushing abortion if they become pregnant.

The Obama move comes months after Congressional Democrats were criticized for putting abortion funding ahead of helping sex trafficking victims. Democrats voted five times to block a bill to help sex trafficking victims in order to attempt to fund abortions with federal funds. The Washington Examiner has more on the new rules the Obama administration put in place:

Religious groups that refuse abortion counseling no longer can get grants to help trafficking victims unless they ensure the counseling is provided by a third party, under new guidelines by the Department of Health and Human Services.

In guidance quietly posted online in June, the agency said groups competing for grants must offer “the full range of legally permissible gynecological and obstetric care,” which includes abortion counseling and referrals. If groups don’t offer the services, they must propose an alternative approach to remain competitive for a grant.

That has at least one anti-abortion advocate contending the new policy may violate the federal Weldon Amendment, a law saying federal money can’t be awarded if it’s being used to discriminate against healthcare entities that won’t provide or refer women for abortions.

Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, which stages a big anti-abortion march in Washington every January, called the policy change legally questionable.

“We need to ask if this is legal,” Mancini said. “I think it is terrible the Obama administration is willing to put abortion policy ahead of good, loving services to these women who have already gone through the mot undignified treatment of people that could happen.”

This isn’t the first time the Obama administration has put abortion ahead of helping human trafficking victims. The Obama Administration put abortion ahead of human trafficking twice — by denying a grant to the Catholic bishops to help victims because they wouldn’t promote abortion and by refusing to investigate how the Planned Parenthood abortion business covered up potential cases of sex trafficking.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops had previously received a five-year $19 million grant to help victims of sex trafficking during the administration of pro-life President George W. Bush. Sensitive to how women are exploited in the sex industry, the Catholic bishops prohibit any subcontractors from using the funds to pay for or promote abortions. Instead, the Catholic bishops provide comprehensive case management services to survivors including medical and mental health services.

While the Obama administration extended the contract briefly, the bishops were notified that it would not be renewed. Instead, Obama officials awarded the grant to three other groups (Tapestri of Atlanta, Heartland Human Care Services of Chicago and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants of Washington) — even though the bishops have helped more than 2,700 victims with the funding.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held the hearing on the administration’s decision. During the hearing, committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, a California Republican, said the decision violated the Obama administration’s “pledge to be the most transparent in history.” “Unfortunately, today, we are presented with an example of how that goal is not being met and an opportunity to understand how the federal grant-making process has been politicized,” he said.

“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has begun an investigation into the process used by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement to award grants that fund many types of care and services,” he told the hearing. “That investigation has uncovered many disturbing facts about the grant awards process, including: the most experienced and top rated national applicant was not selected, and lower-ranked organizations were somehow funded. The process was delayed for months while the agency struggled to find ways to inject new criteria into the process, and—of great concern—the judgment of experienced, career-level professionals was discarded when political appointees chose to overrule transparent decision-making.”

“These actions appear to constitute an abuse of discretion and undermine the integrity of the process, while potentially violating the spirit, if not the letter, of federal laws and regulations that prohibit discrimination based on religious beliefs,” Issa said.

Tension Remain High At Israeli Gaza Border

The nuclear deal reached with Iran on Tuesday is clouded by uncertainty about whether the Iranian regime will live up to its relatively weak commitments. One outcome is almost certain, however: Israel will launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran, hoping to weaken the regime and stop, or slow, its nuclear program.

Israel will attack–possibly by year’s end–because there is no other way to disrupt Iran’s advance to regional hegemony, which will become unstoppable once the deal’s provisions–especially the non-nuclear provisions–begin to take effect. Despite what the Obama administration and its media supporters are saying, there is almost no doubt that the Iran deal, should it survive Congress, will enable Iran to become a nuclear power.

President Barack Obama himself admitted as much in April, when he defended the provisional deal signed in Lausanne by admitting it allowed Iran to reach “breakout” shortly after the ten-year (now eight-year) expiration date. The only question is whether Iran will move that date forward and risk the meager diplomatic consequences of breaking the deal.

There are Israeli analysts–a minority–who believe that Israel can live in the shadow of a nuclear-armed Iran, at least for a while. After all, Israel has developed a lethal “second-strike” capacity, in the form of nuclear missiles aboard Dolphin-class submarines programmed to target Iran. That leaves the Iranian regime to weigh the odds of surviving an Israeli counterattack versus the chances of causing the end of the world as they know it. From a fanatical religious perspective, it is a win-win scenario–but cooler, or less pious, heads may prevail.

The problem is that the Iran deal goes so much further than the nuclear issue alone. The Iranians shrewdly bargained for a host of late concessions: an end to the international arms embargo, the lifting of a ban on ballistic missile technology, and an accelerated schedule of sanctions relief that will pour over $100 billion into depleted Iranian coffers. The regime knew that Obama would not walk away–that he had committed his political career to a deal, and he was already dismissing all other alternatives, severely undermining his own leverage.

Israel just might find a way to live with a nuclear Iran, but it cannot live with a nuclear Iran and an array of turbo-charged Iranian proxies on its borders.

Iran has already renewed its support for Palestinian terror groups in Gaza, and the U.S. has quietly allowed Iranian-backed Hezbollah to regroup in Lebanon, even as it has been weakened by losses in the Syrian civil war. Flush with cash, armed with advanced new weapons, and perhaps equipped with nuclear contaminants, these groups will pose an ever-greater threat to Israel’s security–and soon.

That is why the alternative that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented to Congress–and he did present an alternative to the present deal, though Obama pretended not to notice–included three provisions:

“first, stop its aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East;
second, stop supporting terrorism around the world;
and third, stop threatening to annihilate my country, Israel–the one and only Jewish state.”

None of those referred directly to the Iranian nuclear program. Obama ignored Netanyahu’s suggestions and forged ahead.

An Israeli strike might not stop the Iranian nuclear program. But it could stall that program, and create a renewed sense of vulnerability around the regime, which was near collapse as recently as 2009. Israel could also make Iran pay a direct cost for arming Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terror groups–a cost historically borne by the civilians of southern Lebanon or Gaza. It could project a conventional deterrent that would affect Iran here and now, as opposed to a nuclear deterrent whose effect might only be felt after an atomic exchange (i.e. not at all).

For Israel, the costs of such an attack on Iran–even a successful one–could be severe. It would be condemned and isolated internationally. It might suffer thousands of rocket attacks from Lebanon and Gaza. It may lose thousands of soldiers and civilians in a ground war. Obviously the consequences will be less damaging–or more bearable–if the pre-emptive strike is successful. The reason Israelis are willing to take the risk at all is twofold. First, they have done it before (Iraq 1981; Syria 2007). Second, the alternative–thanks to the Iran deal–looks far worse.

The Obama administration has done all it can to prevent an Israeli pre-emptive strike, from leaking Israeli attack scenarios to denying Israel air space over Iraq. As a result, the only realistic bombing plans–whether Israel targets Iran’s nuclear and political installations directly, or detonates an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) over the country–involve a Doolittle Raid-style attack from which Israel’s pilots will not expect to return, or a landing in Saudi Arabia. The latter was once a non-starter, but–ironically–Obama’s overtures to Iran have made it possible.

The Saudis are expected to respond to the Iran deal by seeking nuclear weapons of their own. But the monarchy could also strike an alliance with Israel–perhaps even a grand bargain. The Saudis could give Israel landing rights, logistical support, and intelligence. In return, Israel could accept Saudi Arabia’s proposal for a Palestinian state roughly along the “1967 lines”–plus Saudi control of Jerusalem’s Muslim holy sites, which would cement the royal family’s legitimacy. (Ironically, Obama, by provoking war, would enable Arab-Israeli peace.)

The clock is ticking, however. Before the Iran deal, it was thought that Israel could only carry out a pre-emptive strike in the time period before Iran actually became a nuclear power. Now, the deadlines are even shorter, and more complex. Israel would need to attack before Russian S-300 surface-to-air missiles, already sold to Iran, can be delivered and activated. It would also need to attack while Hezbollah and Hamas are still weak, war-weary and cash-strapped–i.e. before sanctions relief delivers billions to Iran’s regional war and terror efforts.

Israel must also be wary of attacking too soon. It will not attack in the next ten days, for example, because they coincide with a religious period of mourning for historic defeats. It would also make little sense for Israel to attack while Congress is debating the Iran deal.

But Israel will attack before it loses the option. It will do so because the purpose of Israeli statehood is to enable Jews to defend themselves, and not rely on the help or mercy of others.

Obama wants to build a new legacy, but Netanyahu has inherited an old legacy–one he cannot ignore.

347,000 + CONVICTED CRIMINAL IMMIGRANTS AT LARGE IN U.S.

Hundreds of thousands of convicted criminal immigrants remain at large in the U.S. and a number have gone on to commit additional crimes. As if anyone should act shocked, or surprised here, when anyone with a grain of sense in their noggin as said that this would happen MULTIPLE times, and Donald Trump is being crucified for saying so. Just tomfoolery if you ask me:

According to a March 2, 2015 “ICE Weekly Departures and Detention Report” obtained by Center for Immigration Studies expert Jessica Vaughan and shared with Breitbart News, there were 168,680 convicted criminal immigrants who had final orders of removal but who remained at large in the U.S.

Another 179,018 convicted criminal immigrants with deportation cases pending also remained at large.

While the vast majority were not in custody some were detained — namely 6,220 criminal immigrants facing final deportation orders and another 7,680 convicted criminal immigrants with immigration cases pending.

In recent years there has been a focus on the number of annual criminal immigrant releases.

In 2013 the Obama administration released 36,007 criminal immigrants who had nearly 88,000 convictions. Those convictions included 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions, and 1,075 aggravated assault convictions.

In January, the Department of Homeland Security revealed in a 38-page document to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) showing that of those criminals released in 2013, 1,000 had gone on to commit additional crimes including, terroristic threats, lewd acts with a minor, various types of assault, DUI, robbery, hit-and-run, gang activity, rape, and child cruelty.

“The Obama Administration claims that it is using ‘prosecutorial discretion’ to prioritize the removal of criminal aliens from this country. But this report shows the disturbing truth: 1,000 undocumented aliens previously convicted of crimes who the Administration released in 2013 have gone on to commit further crimes in our communities,” Grassley said in January.

In 2014 the administration released another 30,558 criminal immigrants, who had a total of 79,059 convictions.

The convictions included in the 2014 releases included: 86 homicide convictions, 186 kidnapping convictions, 373 sexual assault convictions, 449 commercialized sexual offenses, 1,194 battery convictions, 1,346 domestic violence convictions, and 13,636 DUIs.

“When aliens released onto the streets go on to commit additional crimes yet could have been placed in ICE custody, this Administration is responsible. From January 1, 2014 to September 30, 2014, over 10,000 detainers were not honored,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) said in April. “The recidivism rate for these aliens was 29 percent. Innocent citizens and law enforcement officers could be injured, maimed, or murdered due to a detainer not being issued or honored because of this Administration’s policies.”

“The Administration is responsible and will be held accountable,” he added.

Often the administration has pointed to the Supreme Court decision in Zadvydas v. Davis — preventing indefinite detention of immigrants facing deportation, most often when the immigrant’s home country will not take them back. However in recent months lawmakers have chipped away at that response.

In April the House Judiciary Committee revealed that of the 30,558 released criminal immigrants in 2014 just 2,457 were released due to Zadvydas or about eight percent.

In May the Obama administration revealed to the Senate Judiciary Committee that between 2010 and 2014, 121 convicted criminal immigrants with final orders of deportation were never removed and now face murder charges.

Hmm. Maybe Donald Trump IS right. I highly doubt many are agreeing with Jebby Boy after reading some of these stats. We need to have an administration that will not allow us to become a country of murderous leeches on society. Come on, America. We deserve better than that, don’t we?

Obama scheme gives Democrats ‘power for all time’

A conservative congressman says the murder of a San Francisco woman by an illegal immigrant deported five times is a microcosm of the border security dereliction of the Obama administration and liberal city leaders choosing to reward criminal behavior. Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, also addressed the fierce debate within the Republican presidential field, taking care to avoid characterizing any candidate but leaving no doubt what he thinks the GOP’s policy position ought to be. The immigration debate took on a more personal dimension over Independence Day weekend, as 32-year-old Kate Steinle was randomly murdered by 45-year-old Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez. The killer, who has since confessed, has been convicted of seven felonies and deported five separate times. Gohmert said similar stories have played out far too often as the Obama administration effectively waves illegals across the border.

“It’s very easy to explain when you have a president who does not believe in the rule of law, who has pandered to people who are illegally in the country,” Gohmert said in an interview with WND and Radio America. “All we can figure is, he thinks that if they can just get people who are illegally the right to vote before they understand the responsibilities of trying to keep a democratic republic, then it will give the Democrats all power for all time.”

According to Gohmert, the Steinle murder is hardly an isolated incident. He said the House Judiciary Committee, of which he is a member, received very disturbing numbers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the extent of violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants in Fiscal Year 2014 alone. “These individuals have been convicted of 79,059 crimes, including 175 homicides, 373 sexual assaults, 186 kidnappings (and) 14,014 impaired driving offenses. It just goes on and on. This is making America less safe,” he said, noting both the federal government and city governments must stop rewarding criminals.

“If the president’s going to protect America, if our city leaders are going to protect America, the cities can’t be this haven for people who broke the law and would kill a beautiful young lady like we had in San Francisco,” Gohmert said. “And the federal government has got to stop encouraging illegal immigration.”

The congressman said the Steinle murder struck close to home for him, and he said the policy of San Francisco and other “sanctuary cities” needs to be revisited right away. “Having three daughters, I’m particularly sensitive to these things. But to have her shot so senselessly, randomly, right there in front of her parents, would never have happened if San Francisco were not a city that just welcomed people who violated our immigration laws. It is a sanctuary city,” said Gohmert, meaning San Francisco and other cities have laws refusing to hold people whose only known offense is coming to the U.S. illegally.

Lopez-Sanchez has seven felonies on his record. San Francisco and the federal government are now engaged in a blame game over which is responsible for the killer being loose in the first place. The federal government asserts Lopez-Sanchez was in custody and about to be deported for a sixth time when he was handed over to the city to face a drug charge and should never have been released when those charges were dropped. San Francisco officials say it was the federal government’s job to have a warrant ready to go when the drug case concluded.

Gohmert said illegal aliens create trouble for law-abiding citizens, even when there is no violent crime involved. He contends a recent account from a teenage constituent is a perfect example. “She and her single mom were trying to make ends meet. An illegal alien hit her car,” he said. “He had no driver’s license, no insurance. He was allowed to drive off in his car. Hers was totaled. It just made things crazy for these poor girls. It’s just outrageous that this president would not be more sympathetic to the plight of Americans dealing with crime in America.”

Just as maddening to Gohmert as what he sees as the Obama administration refusing to enforce immigration law is the president’s insistence that border security is operating at record efficiency. “It may just be because our president doesn’t know enough about our history,” he said. “I’m sure they didn’t teach it in Indonesia, but the fact is, when he says nobody has done more to secure the border than I have, or words to that effect, it’s simply not true.”

The congressman said the border was far more secure after President Woodrow Wilson (not a favorite of Gohmert’s) effectively sealed the border after Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa conducted numerous murderous raids into the United States. On Wilson’s orders, thousands of forces clamped down on the southern border. “The border was secure,” Gohmert said. “Nobody came in unless we wanted them to.

“This president could do more. Of course, you remember (former Homeland Security Secretary) Janet Napolitano just announced one day, ‘Hey, the four billion dollars or so that was appropriated by Congress for virtual fence? I’m not going to do that. I’m going to spend the money elsewhere.’ This administration not only encourages people to violate our immigration law but it violates the laws regularly themselves.”

The killing of Kate Steinle poured rhetorical gasoline onto an already combustible debate within the 2016 Republican presidential field over the issue of illegal immigration.

Billionaire real-estate developer Donald Trump immediate stirred the pot in announcing his White House bid. “[Mexico is] sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists, and some I assume are good people,” said Trump on June 16.

Several other GOP hopefuls have denounced Trump both for his language and for his alleged inaccuracy. “He’s doing this to inflame and to incite and to draw attention, which seems to be his organizing principle of his campaign,” said former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla. “He doesn’t represent the Republican Party or its values.”

Gohmert is not wading into the back-and-forth between candidates, but he said he trusts the assessment of the U.S. Border Patrol, and its assessment is sobering. “Many of them have told me there is not a single mile of the U.S.-Mexico border that is not under the auspices of some drug lord. And you don’t cross that border into the United States without permission from that drug lord. If you do, they’ll find you in the United States and kill you,” said Gohmert, who added that many illegals come across and claim they are refugees from deadly gang violence in their home countries.

After a brief interrogation, it is usually discovered that gangs are not the reason for their illegal migration but the means for shuttling them across the border.

The congressman said the proper approach for Republicans should be obvious. First, he said there should be nothing but admiration for Hispanic families who come here legally, since they value the intact family as high as this country did in the past. “It’s a generalization, but it’s a pretty good generalization that Hispanics love God, are devoted to God, love family, are devoted to family and they have a hard work ethic,” Gohmert said. “Those are the kind of things that made America great. We need more of that. We need more of what the Hispanic can bring before we co-opt it and teach them other ways.” However, he said, that admiration has to be tempered by a strict adherence to the law. “They have to come in legally,” he said. “To just disregard the rule of the law makes us like the countries in central America or Mexico that they’re fleeing.”

Opposition to legal status or even a pathway to citizenship for those illegally in the U.S. has long been described as unrealistic, and now Republicans and Democrats accuse people who hold that position of being hateful or even racist. Gohmert flatly rejects the label. “It’s ridiculous to say it’s racist if you want people who commit crimes to be punished for those crimes,” he said. “Having been a former felony judge, many times people accused me of being mean, but I followed the law. I was fair across the board, and that’s what we have to do. It’s part of the price of maintaining this democratic republic, as (Benjamin) Franklin said, if we want to keep it.”

Coalition of African-American Pastors Threaten Civil Disobedience If Supreme Court Passes Gay Marriage Law

A coalition of African-American pastors vowed this week that there will be massive civil disobedience if the U.S. Supreme Court legalizes same-sex marriage in a ruling on the matter expected this month. At a press conference in Memphis, Tennessee, members of the Coalition of African-American Pastors joined Christian ministers at the Church of God in Christ’s historic Mason Temple to warn the Obama administration to prepare for massive civil disobedience among pastors and clergy if state bans on gay marriage are deemed unconstitutional.

“If they rule for same-sex marriage, then we’re going to do the same thing we did for the civil rights movement,” said Rev. Bill Owens, president and founder of CAAP. “We will not obey an unjust law.”

“The politicians and courts have tried to take God out of this country,” continued Owens. “This country was founded on Godly principles. We will not stand back.”

Rev. David Welch, president of the Pastor’s Council in Houston, Texas, spoke out at the conference explaining the lengths people of faith might go to resist gay marriage.

“God created marriage between a man and woman and no Supreme Court jurisdiction can define this,” said Welch. “We stand clearly saying we will acknowledge God’s law no matter what the cost, no matter what the price. If they want to fill jails with pastors across the nation of every color, denomination and every size who will stand for the laws of God and His truths.”

Welch also compared Christians resisting gay marriage to the civil rights movement of the 1960s and encouraged pastors to fight for their right to worship freely.

“If it comes down to declining to perform same-sex weddings, that we will be charged with a civil or criminal penalty, then we will accept the penalty,” said Welch. “But this isn’t just about the wedding ceremony itself. This is a core, fundamental issue of our First Amendment freedom that the court is toying with right now. Either we have the right of freedom of conscience and religion and the freedom to practice it, or we don’t.”

Opponents of gay marriage around the U.S. are going to different lengths to resist it. Texas Republican lawmakers proposed a bill that would seek to enforce a ban on gay marriage even if the U.S. Supreme Court decides to declare such bans unconstitutional, While it was co-signed by 87 Republican members of the House, HB 4105 wasn’t brought to the floor for debate before the midnight May 15 deadline, which rendered it dead. Democratic lawmaker and businesses such as Dell, Celanese and Dow Chemical lobbied against the bill.

Lawmakers in the state Senate, however, managed to pass a bill known as the “Pastor Protection Act,” which goes into effect Sept. 1, and allows clergy to refuse to conduct marriage ceremonies that violate their religious beliefs.

“Freedom of religion is the most sacred of our rights and our freedom to worship is secured by the Constitution,” Abbott said at a June 11 signing ceremony, according to the Texas Tribune. “Religious leaders in the state of Texas must be absolutely secure in the knowledge that religious freedom is beyond the reach of government or coercion by the courts.”

On April 28, the Supreme Court heard arguments on an appeal from the Sixth Circuit of Appeals regarding four state-level gay marriage bans. Many experts have said the Supreme Court will narrowly rule this month that all states must allow same-sex couples to obtain a state marriage license.

Investigative journalist and Hoover Institution media fellow Paul Sperry appeared on Breitbart News Daily with host Stephen K. Bannon on Monday morning to talk about the potential release of the “28 Pages” of long-classified documents that may demonstrate Saudi complicity in the 9/11 attacks.

He thought the Saudis probably shared that expectation, given their surprisingly blunt threats to wage economic warfare against the United States if the documents are declassified.

“It’s an empty threat, but it shows just how worried they are, that this information is going to get out there, and they’re going to be held liable,” he said, adding that he’s been told “there’s enough information in those 28 pages to bring indictments against Saudi officials.”

Sperry emphasized the importance of both releasing the 28 Pages and passing legislation that would allow 9/11 families to use the declassified information, by filing suit against the Saudis involved in the attacks.

The Obama administration failed to protect thousands of Central American children who have flooded across the U.S. border since 2011, leaving them vulnerable to traffickers and to abuses at the hands of government-approved caretakers, a Senate investigation has found.

“HHS places children with individuals about whom it knows relatively little and without verifying the limited information provided by sponsors about their alleged relationship with the child,” the report said.

As the U.S. engages in a national debate over the militarization of the police, federal data shows that government agencies charged with largely administrative roles are spending tens of millions of taxpayer dollars to purchase SWAT and military-style equipment.

Since FY 2006, 44 traditionally administrative agencies have spent over $71 million on items like body armor, riot helmets and shields, cannon launchers and police firearms and ammunition, according to federal spending data from watchdog group OpenTheBooks.com.

“We have too many federal agencies with law enforcement authorities. If you’re going to give somebody law enforcement authorities, there are certain expenses that come with it. The problem is that we have given law enforcement authority to far too many different agencies,” Mr. Larkin said.

Before we switched to the 24 hour news cycle, the formula really was that simple. The most tragic, gruesome news was always the Big Story. Earthquake, plane crash, that annoying boy band does a reunion tour. You know, the real tragic stuff.
