Pope Francis: There Is No Hell

Reported By Randy DeSoto | March 29, 2018 at 11:35am

Pope Francis reportedly proclaimed that hell does not exist and that condemned souls disappear when they die, in a pronouncement that runs contrary to 2000 years of Christian teaching. The pope is said to have made the statement to his longtime atheist friend Eugenio Scalfari, publisher of La Repubblica, CNS News reported.

In an article in the Italian paper titled “The Pope: It is an honor to be called a revolutionary,” Scalfari is quoted asking the pontiff, “You have never spoken to me about the souls who died in sin and will go to hell to suffer it for eternity. You have however spoken to me of good souls, admitted to the contemplation of God. But what about bad souls? Where are they punished?”

The Pope responded, “They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls.”

The Catholic leader’s view does not square with the Bible’s multiple affirmations of the existence of hell.

The late evangelist Billy Graham wrote on the subject, “It might surprise you to learn that the person in the Bible who spoke the most about hell’s reality was Jesus.”

Graham continued: “He repeatedly warned us not to take it lightly: ‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell’ (Matthew 10:28).”

The Christian Broadcasting Network in a piece entitled “Is Hell A Real Place?” pointed out that the Bible described hell as a place of torment, darkness and fire. Jesus said some will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 8:12).”

The Apostle Paul wrote that those who don’t know Jesus “shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power (2 Thessalonians 1:8-10).”

The Book of Revelation, written by the Apostle John, records one day all those who go to hell will face a final judgement.

Chapter 20, verses 13-15, read: “The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Christ said to Peter, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:17-18).”

The Catechism of the Catholic Church holds to the reality of hell, as well.

“The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they suffer the punishments of hell, ‘eternal fire.’ The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs,” it reads.

The document further states: “The affirmations of Sacred Scripture and the teachings of the Church on the subject of hell are a call to the responsibility incumbent upon man to make use of his freedom in view of his eternal destiny.”

The Vatican released a statement in response to Scalfari’s article denying the writer directly quoted the pope, but not the substance of his reported claim that hell does not exist.

“The Holy Father Francis recently received the founder of the newspaper La Repubblica in a private meeting on the occasion of Easter, without giving any interview,” the statement reads.

It continues: “What is reported by the author in today’s article is the result of his reconstruction, in which the textual words pronounced by the Pope are not quoted. No quotation of the aforementioned article must therefore be considered a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father.”

The Pope Defends Islam by Saying Christianity is No Different

waving flagBy Joe Scudder August 2, 2016

Invoking the idea of Christian violence, the Pope defends Islam from the charge that it inspires terrorism.

When the Pope defends Islam, it seems to me he must know that his pronouncements are utter nonsense.

From Yahoo News:

Pope Francis said Sunday that Islam could not be equated with terrorism and warned Europe was pushing its young into the hands of extremists.

“It’s not true and it’s not correct (to say) Islam is terrorism,” he told journalists aboard the papal plane during the return journey from a trip to Poland.

“I don’t think it is right to equate Islam with violence”.Islam is NOT

Okay, there are violent acts committed by non-Muslims and there are Muslims who don’t commit violent acts. So framing the issue as “equating Islam with violence” predetermines the conclusion.

Pope Francis used this type of argument to justify his hiding the truth about why a priest died.

Francis defended his decision not to name Islam when condemning the brutal jihadist murder of a Catholic priest in France in the latest of a string of recent attacks in Europe claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group.culture of deceit and lies

What purpose does it serve for leaders to hide what everyone already knows?

The Pope went on to mix up two entirely different kinds of violence.

“In almost every religion there is always a small group of fundamentalists. We have them too.”

“If I have to talk about Islamic violence I have to talk about Christian violence. Every day in the newspapers I see violence in Italy, someone kills his girlfriend, another kills his mother-in-law, and these are baptized Catholics.”Picture1

The pope is smudging religious violence and ordinary crime. Those “baptized Catholics” are not claiming that Jesus told them to kill anyone or that they are following Jesus’s example. It would be interesting, however, for the Pope to publicly deal with the differing crime rates in native European populations and migrant populations. But I suspect he will avoid the subject at all costs.

The other type of violence is done to serve a religious goal. There have been aberrant Christian groups in history but not nearly as many as in Islam. The “small group of fundamentalists” constitute a significant percentage of Muslims. And these “groups” are spread throughout Islamic communities.

The Pope is offering us idiotic statements in defense of immigration policies that threaten Europe!

Rome’s Iconic Trevi Fountain to Be Dyed Red in Honor of New Christian Martyrs

waving flagby Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D., 21 Apr 2016

In a move reminiscent of the first plague of Egypt, the city of Rome will dye its most emblematic fountain blood red in commemoration of the many new martyrs killed in our time for their faith in Jesus Christ.

According to the Catholic News Agency, the Trevi Fountain will be dyed red on the evening of on April 29 “in recognition of all Christians who even today give their life for the faith.”

The Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need has organized the event to “call attention to the drama of anti-Christian persecution.” Vatican Cardinal Mauro Piacenza will introduce the ceremony, which will feature testimony from Bishop Antoine Audo of Aleppo, Syria, as well as other witnesses to Christian massacres in Yemen, Pakistan, Turkey and Kenya.

In a statement posted on their website, the group said they hope this program will create “a long-lasting, concrete reaction everywhere so that the persecuted people of the 21st century can return as soon as possible to fully enjoying their natural right to religious freedom.”

The Italian daily Il Giornale noted that there are 150 million persecuted Christians throughout the world, “a genocide that too often silent Western institutions refuse to recognize.”

The organizers added that “the systematic violation of the right to religious freedom, especially that of Christians, must become the central issue of the public debate.”

The year 2015 saw “the most violent and sustained attack on Christian faith in modern history,” according to a watchdog organization that has been monitoring Christian persecution for decades.

Open Doors, an organization founded in 1955 to assist persecuted Christians, publishes an annual “World Watch List,” reporting on attacks against Christians and ranking the most hostile national environments for believers. “The 2016 World Watch List documents an unprecedented escalation of violence against Christians, making this past year the most violent and sustained attack on Christian faith in modern history,” Open Doors CEO David Curry said at the rollout of the list. Persecution in “continuing to increase, intensify and spread across the globe,” he said.

Pope Francis has spoken frequently during his papacy on modern-day martyrs. On April 7, the Pope called martyrs “the lifeblood of the Church.” “It is the witness of our martyrs of today – so many! – chased out of their homeland, driven away, having their throats cut, persecuted: they have the courage to confess Jesus even to the point of death,” he said.

In his Good Friday ceremony of the Stations of the Cross last month, the Pope denounced the global persecution of Christians, who are still “killed, burned alive, throats slit, and beheaded with barbarous blades amid cowardly silence.” The ceremony was held in the iconic setting of the Roman Coliseum, a symbol for many of the earliest Christian persecutions and martyrdom. Francis underscored the evil of these atrocities, carried out in the name of God and religion.

“O Cross of Christ, we still see you today in the fanaticism and terrorism of the followers of a religion who profane the name of God and use it to justify their unprecedented violence,” in evident reference to the Islamist terrorists behind much Christian persecution today.Christian Persecution

According to the biblical account of the plagues of Egypt, God commanded Moses and Aaron to turn the Nile and all the waters of Egypt to blood, as a sign to Pharaoh. “Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone,” God tells Moses. Yet despite this sign, Pharaoh’s heart was “hardened” and the persecution of God’s people continued.

BERNIE SANDERS TO SIT DOWN AT VATICAN: Discuss with Pope About Inequality

waving flagPosted on April 8, 2016

We’ve all heard this joke before. So there is this Jewish politician and the catholic pope, they walk into a bar and…

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has accepted an invitation from the Vatican to attend a conference on social, economic and environmental issues. The Sanders campaign made the announcement on Friday as the senator made the rounds of the morning television news programs. Mr. Sanders will take a break from campaigning in New York, just days ahead of the April 19 primary there, to attend the conference hosted by the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. Mr. Sanders, clarifying what he said earlier of an actual sit-down with Pope Francis, said he had not confirmed yet whether the two men would actually meet.

“I am delighted to have been invited by the Vatican to a meeting on restoring social justice and environmental sustainability to the world economy,” Mr. Sanders said in a statement. “Pope Francis has made clear that we must overcome ‘the globalization of indifference’ in order to reduce economic inequalities, stop financial corruption and protect the natural environment. That is our challenge in the United States and in the world.”Picture2

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program, Mr. Sanders explained that while he disagrees with Pope Francis on issues relating to women’s rights and gay rights, he admires the pope for speaking about income inequality and the need for people to help one another.

“He has played an unbelievable role, an unbelievable role of injecting a moral consequence into the economy,” said Mr. Sanders, who would become the first Jewish president in the United States if elected. “He is talking about the idolatry of money, the worship of money, the greed that’s out there, how our whole culture is based on: ‘I need more and more and more. And, I don’t have to worry about veterans sleeping out on the street or elderly people who can’t afford their prescriptions.’”Militent Radical liberalism socialism

Mr. Sanders also addressed the back and forth between him and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton during interviews on morning television. He said he is “trying to stay away from personal attacks” and hopes to stop bickering about their credentials to be president.

ISLAM takes over Europe: Look what Italy and France are doing for it now..

waving flagWritten by Allen West on January 26, 2016

rouhanipope
You know that saying, “there’s a sucker born every minute?” Well, based on what’s happening in Europe, there sure are lots of suckers. What do you think the world, led by Barack Obama, is doing for the number one state sponsor of Islamic terror? Yep, bankrolling them, while the Islamist regime laughs at us.

Yesterday I watched the interview of recently-released American Pastor Saeed Abedini who described his torture and the executions he witnessed in his time while illegally held hostage by the Iranians. And we still have no idea about the whereabouts of Robert Levinson, although we know the Iranians last held him.

But back to the suckers…

PerspectiveAs reported by Fox News, “Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has arrived in Rome on the first European visit by an Iranian president in almost two decades, following implementation of a landmark deal on curbing Iran’s nuclear activities.

Rouhani, eager for foreign investment after the lifting of international sanctions, started the four-day trip to France and Italy on Monday. The trip was originally planned for November but postponed by the attacks in Paris. He met first with Italian President Sergio Matterella, and is scheduled to meet later with the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Pope Francis at the Vatican. In France, he is to be welcomed by French President Francois Hollande.

Europe was Iran’s largest trading partner before the sanctions, and a range of business and trade deals is expected.”

Do any of you realize the irony of Iran not visiting Paris because of an Islamic terror attack? The only difference is Suicide-USA-NRD-600that ISIS is Sunni and Iran is Shiite, and Persian, not Arab. I’ve read estimates of Iran securing anywhere from $15 to $18 billion in trade agreements with Italy, and oil is a major portion. The Obama administration has turned over billions of assets back to Iran, and was nice enough to even allow the seizure of two Riverine assault boats and video of our Sailors kneeling at gunpoint. And just last week, Secretary of State John Kerry stated in Davos, Switzerland there’s a high probability these funds and resources will find their way to support terrorism. What a blinding flash of the obvious, sir.

This is the same Iran which sponsors Hezbollah, Hamas, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the Quds Force. Every single one of these entities is listed as a terrorist organization by the United States. Here is Iran, a country which has been at a state of war, in conflict with the United States since the Islamic revolution, where they took some 52 Americans hostage by attacking our embassy. This is the same Iran which was behind the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing where 234 Marines and Sailors were killed. This is Iran who provided terrorists with the lethal explosive force penetrators (EFPs) responsible for maiming and killing our men and women in Iraq. This is the same Iran which has not changed its belligerent policies towards the United States and Israel whatsoever — and their president is traipsing all over Europe lining up trade deals.

Pitiful-Deal-NRD-600China has recently endeavored to complete a trade deal with Iran that would bring about hundreds of billions of dollars to the Islamic terrorist state. And there’s a major Boeing contract waiting in the wings here in the United States.

What message is being sent to those who were once our Sunni state allies? If there’s one thing that will further embolden and rally support to Sunni ISIS, it will be this hegemonic rise of Iran. Instead of rallying Sunni support against Islamic jihadists and Iranian terrorism, we’re losing the high ground, and for what reason?

Imagine the propaganda bonanza proliferated by Iran. Here is Hasan Rouhani sitting with the pope, and heading to France to meet with President Francois Hollande. It is unbelievable that the leader of Iran would visit a country which has been rocked by two Islamic terror attacks in 2015. What we’re witnessing is described as dhimmitude, submission, and it will have a lasting effect, long after Obama has left office for the speaking tour…which I’m sure will find its way to Tehran. The liberal acolytes will say Obama has brought us peace — but tell that to the Saudis when they acquire their own nuclear arsenal. The liberal progressive left clearly believes “hope springs eternal.”

I prefer “peace through strength.” Just ask Neville Chamberlain which one worked out best – stuck-on-stupid diplomacy or Churchill’s resolve?
