Die

Trump Wins "Disavowal" Game, Then Super Tuesday

Do they have TV sets at CNN? An Internet connection? I don’t work at a television network, but I saw Trump “disavow” David Duke a half-dozen times before Jake Tapper asked him to disavow Duke again last Sunday.

The question served absolutely no journalistic purpose. No new information was sought. It was just a smear, for the sole purpose of getting the words “KKK” into the same sentence as “Donald Trump.”

Unsuspecting viewers who missed Trump’s earlier disavowals are supposed to think, Is Trump connected with the Klan? Why else would they be asking him about David Duke?

Given that Trump did disavow Duke the day before the Tapper interview, the only explanation for his refusal to do it again is that he was ticked off by the question and decided not to play ball. (Tip for journalists: When WASPs don’t want to answer impertinent questions from reporters, they often say, “I don’t know,” rather than the more urban “go f—yourself.”)

How many times must Trump waste precious airtime “disavowing” some random person he doesn’t know, has never met and never mentioned?

David Duke IS a random person: The KKK has not been an organization of any significance since the mid-’60s (outside of Southern Poverty Law Center fundraisers), and David Duke hasn’t been a member of this meaningless group since 1980.

Also, David Duke has never been accused of rape. Hillary’s most prominent supporter has. Will she be asked to disavow Bill Clinton?

If she doesn’t think her husband raped Juanita Broaddrick, how about the sexual assaults claimed by Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Christy Zercher, Eileen Wellstone, Carolyn Moffet, Elizabeth Ward Gracen and Sandra Allen James, as well as a half-dozen other women?

Does Hillary believe any of her husband’s accusers? How many sexual assault accusations must there be before she disavows him?

As far as I know, David Duke has also never supported cop-killing. Boatloads of Hillary’s supporters do — and she plays footsie with them by endorsing #BlackLivesMatter.

I will give Hillary the benefit of the doubt, and say I do not believe that she personally supports cop-killing. But why is she seeking the votes of murderous thugs? What kind of campaign is she running that attracts such people? Will she disavow them? Is she willing to state forthrightly that cops’ lives matter?

I am not aware of David Duke ever inciting a mob that went on to commit murder. Al Sharpton has — and no Democrat can run for president without kissing his ring.

  • More than a decade after Duke quit the KKK, Sharpton inflamed anti-Semitic mobs in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights — mobs that were four or five times larger than the entire national KKK membership — fueling several more days of riots, during which a man, whom the crowd believed to be Jewish, was murdered.
  • In December 1995, Sharpton led anti-Semitic protests against a Jewish-owned clothing store in Harlem, Freddy’s Fashion Mart, which ended with a protestor bursting into the store and setting a blaze that killed seven employees.
  • In 1989, Sharpton libeled innocent law enforcement officers in the Tawana Brawley rape hoax — resulting in a libel judgment against him. Then in 1990, a Sharpton-led mob screamed “Whore!” at a rape victim and roughed up cameramen outside the trial of the Central Park rapists (who were guilty).

Sharpton isn’t some random nut Hillary and Bernie have vaguely heard of. Two weeks ago, Bernie Sanders publicly met with Sharpton to ask for his blessing. Hillary will be making the same pilgrimage soon. My advice is, bring your checkbook.

  • David Duke doesn’t speak at Republican national conventions; Sharpton was given a prominent speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention less than a decade after his demagoguery outside Freddy’s ended in the deaths of seven innocent people (this was also a quarter century after Duke left the Klan).
  • Duke isn’t invited to the White House to advise Republican presidents. Sharpton has officially visited Obama’s White House at least 72 times.
  • Duke has never been given a TV show where he gets to ask questions of elected officials. Guess who was?
  • In fact, now that I think about it, Duke has no connection to any GOP official whatsoever!

When David Duke is invited to give a prime-time address at the Republican National Convention, maybe the media can ask Republican candidates to “disavow” him. Until then, how about asking the Democrats about their supporters?

Democratic presidential candidate Michael Dukakis was endorsed by Willie Horton, a vicious murderer, who, after being released by Dukakis, broke into a Maryland couple’s home, tortured and raped them.

Dukakis wasn’t asked to disavow Willie Horton’s endorsement. To the contrary! President Bush was called on to repudiate a flier connecting Dukakis to Horton — whose release from “life in prison” was 100 percent the result of Dukakis’ idiotic furlough policy. Bush’s campaign chairman James A. Baker III acquiesced and disavowed the flier, in keeping with the GOP motto, “Groveling Always Works!”

Jimmy Carter was endorsed by Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and Obama was endorsed by Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez — as well as his own friend, Pentagon-bomber William Ayers. Bernie Sanders has supporters who admired the world’s greatest mass murder, Josef Stalin.

But never, ever, ever will Democrats be asked to “disavow” the lunatics who support them. The ritualistic demand for “disavowals” is a game played exclusively with Republicans.

The media probably can’t believe their luck, tricking Republicans into apologizing for people they have nothing to do with, while the Democrats happily accept the support of cop-killers, rapists, murderers, anti-Semitic race hustlers and domestic terrorists.

This week, Trump trashed the GOP’s time-tested groveling approach, then went on to sweep Super Tuesday. Perhaps someday, the boneless wonders in the GOP will learn.

“Capitalism v. Socialism for Dummies”… This Is Brilliant

waving flagBy: Ian Bayne on February 29, 2016

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/capitalism-v-socialism

The simplest explanations are often the most correct, as is with this simple explanation for socialism. With the campaigns of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders for president, the backgrounds of the two men clashing have inspired a conversation about the economic identity of the United States.

Even those who don’t support Trump support how he got to be so wealthy and powerful. As a member of the dreaded “1%,” his very existence is offensive to Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and his supporters.

Academically, socialism works. Without greed, jealousy, a competitive spirit, and other emotions that make up the complexities of the human spirit, it’s accepted by most experts that a system of a tyrannical form of socialist government functions.

The idea, though, that all individuals will be satisfied with their own possessions regardless of how hard they work, and that others should determine what they earn based on a collective need, is rejected through so many living examples of failed government.

The table offers all of this in the form of an easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to distribute graphic.

Without freedom there is tyranny, and the reader cannot escape the logic of that conclusion when exposed to it.

Socialism for dummies

The advancement of the socialist agenda under President Obama serves as reminder to so many of us that, as Reagan said, each generation must renew its commitment to freedom. Each generation must fight for freedom.

Doing your part may not require picking up a gun, but rather to wage war on lies through the spread of truth and information.

Limbaugh: Trump Lost Iowa with Pledge to ‘Deal’ with Democrats

waving flagby Joel B. Pollak2 Feb 2016, 2 Feb, 2016 2 Feb, 2016

URL of the original posting site: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/02/02/rush-limbaugh-donald-trump-iowa

Limbaugh was careful to praise Trump for leading the media fight: “We have a very strong outsider in Donald Trump, who is showing the way in illustrating how to oppose the establishment and what not to be afraid of.”

However, he said that Trump erred by promising to compromise with the left:

“In a Republican primary, you do not win if you’re going to sound like a liberal Democrat criticizing Ted Cruz. And it wasn’t just health care. How many of you remember (I pointed this out when it happened) Mr. Trump pointing out that you can’t do anything if you can’t make deals, can’t cooperate? Part of his criticism of Ted Cruz is he’s hated; nobody likes him. Trump said, “I can do deals with’

“Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Pelosi. I know these people. I like these people. Schumer? I can do deals.” No, no, no, no! We don’t want to do any more deals with these people. We want to beat those people. There are many things that harm Mr. Trump, but not showing up at the debate is not one of them.”

This author offered a similar analysis at the time Trump made the remark a week ago, saying he had given Cruz a “closing argument”: “What Trump misses is how much the conservative base loathes both the GOP establishment and the Democrats. Trump’s pledge to be a deal-maker is also poorly timed, coming at a moment when Cruz is challenging his conservative credentials. Trump has yet to resolve those doubts: it is too early to talk about deals.”

On Tuesday, citing exit poll data, Limbaugh argued that conservatives candidates had done best in Iowa–clearly placing Trump outside of that group.

“This is asking people, “Does this candidate share my values?” This is an ideological question, in my estimation. I think this indicates that 5% of the voters that went in there last night and caucused think Trump shares their values as a conservative. Thirty-eight percent think that of Cruz, and 21% think that of Rubio. Now, if you add Cruz and Rubio, if you add their totals, you get 51% of the vote….’

“That’s 51% of the vote. Trump 24% of the vote. If you want to you can add Ben Carson, who’s demonstrably conservative, and you’re up to 60% of the vote in the Hawkeye Cauci was for conservatives. It works every time it’s tried, is my point. Conservatism wins every time it’s tried. When somebody tries to fake it, real conservatives are gonna spot it and it isn’t gonna fly.”

Limbaugh later added that while Trump had excited voters, and provided a “vessel” for their anger at Washington, Cruz had helped give voice to that anger in the first place, aiming it at Obamacare and the establishment.

In addition, Limbaugh talked up the prospects of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who finished a strong third behind Cruz and Trump in Iowa. While he was becoming the establishment’s preferred choice, and erred by participating the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill, he was one of the candidates that he could support, Limbaugh implied.

Trump used early support from talk radio and other conservative media to help build his campaign, though some seem to have expected that Trump would fade or bow out in favor of Cruz.

Regardless, the Iowa result virtually ensures a good season of ratings and traffic–and reaffirms conservative media’s high importance to the Republican primary.

Tim Allen Compares the Clintons to Herpes: ‘Just When You Think They’re Gone, They Show Up Again’

Actor-comedian Tim Allen blasted Hillary Clinton in a recent interview, comparing her and her husband Bill to a venereal disease while praising Donald Trump as a candidate who “might be able to do the stuff that really needs fixing.”

In an extensive interview with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his sitcom hit Last Man Standing, Allen weighed in on the state of the 2016 presidential race, telling the outlet that the Democrat party of

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Hillary Clinton has turned into the “free sh*t party.”

“Unearned responses, unearned praise, unearned income: I have opinions about it,” the 62-year-old actor told THR when asked what “riled” him up the most.

“When you watch the debates, on both sides you see clowns who say sh*t that ain’t ever gonna happen, but lately one party is the free sh*t party,” Allen explained. “When you say you’re going to get free education, free health care, f— free brown loafers — of course everybody’s going to say yes to that. But you don’t mean it. That’s how you rack up debt, and debt is killing us. Whatever party is going to get us out of debt is my party.”Buying votes

Allen also lit into both Clinton and Sanders, specifically: “Bernie Sanders, as nice a guy as he is, none of that sh*t’s going to happen,” he said.

But the comedian saved his sharpest barbs for Clinton. When asked why the writers at Last Man Standing have skewered Hillary and not Trump, Allen compared the Clintons to a venereal disease.

“We have a very liberal writing staff, so I’m surprised they haven’t taken a shot at [Trump],” he told THR. “But we’re not sure he’s going to last, whereas the Clintons are like herpes: Just when you think they’re gone, they show up again.”

On Last Man Standing, Allen stars as Mike Baxter, a conservative-leaning “man’s man” who finds his worldview challenged in a home with three daughters and a successful wife. Allen told THR that he “definitely” feels the line between himself and his character has blurred over the course of the show’s five-season run:

“If you go see my stand-up at the Mirage in Vegas — I’m on a concert tour this year, as I have been for 30 years — it tends to be very angry about self-reliance. I’m not going to say it’s conservative, but it certainly is not left. For most of my life, I’ve been taxed above 38 percent. When you’re a young guy working the road and literally close to half of what you make goes to people who don’t help you at all but just bitch about it the whole time, that’s where I come from. I come from “no taxation without representation,” and it manifests itself in very peculiar points of view.”

Allen also knocked Trump, saying the Republican front-runner “can’t send everybody to Mexico or whatever the f–k he said.”

“But give that guy the roads, bridges, infrastructure, power grid — just have him fix that sh*t for four years. He’s good at that,” added Allen. “And he’s a businessman so he understands how debt load works. Forget the stupid sh*t he says about immigrants. That’s just ignorant. But he might be able to do the stuff that really needs fixing.”

Check out the rest of Allen’s interview with The Hollywood Reporter here.

Ann Coulter Letter: “I Was Hoping for a Taller Honest Man”

waving flagCommentary by  Ann Coulter

I Was Hoping for a Taller Honest ManDid you ever think you’d live to see anchor babies discussed on TV every night? H1-B visas replacing American workers? Illegal alien murderers? Mexican rapists?

Could you ever have imagined that instead of Republicans weeping over illegal aliens “living in the shadows,” we’d see them assailing one another for having once supported amnesty?

It’s all Trump. Everything we’ve been begging politicians to talk about for the past decade, Donald Trump has brought up with a roar.

But the conservative Miss Grundys complain that Trump isn’t satisfactory. They say he’s “not a serious person”; he’s “a clown,” a “vulgarian”; he’s not a “constitutional conservative” — you know, like the people who ignore the Constitution on “natural born citizen.”

This is not an election about who can check off the most boxes on a conservative policy list, or even about who is the best or nicest person. This is an election about saving the concept of America, an existential election like no other has ever been. Anyone who doesn’t grasp this is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

The nitpickers are like the cartoon of Diogenes looking over the man before him, and saying: “I was hoping for a taller honest man.”

You’re not getting a “taller honest man.” Trump is our only shot to save America, if there’s still time.

Only a TV reality show celebrity, self-financing brash billionaire, who is perfectly comfortable in front of a gaggle of microphones and loves to hit back, could do what Trump is doing.

Until Trump rose like a phoenix, Mitt Romney was the best we ever had on immigration. Close your eyes and try to imagine Romney saying the things Trump is about immigration. It quickly becomes apparent why no one else could wage this campaign and survive the attacks — except Trump.

After endless betrayals on immigration, including by half the current GOP field, I trust no one. But Trump is starting to convince me!

At the three-day Conservative Political Action Conference in March 2013 — about the same time the Republican National Committee was paying $10 million for a report instructing the GOP to “embrace and champion comprehensive immigration reform” — there were only two speakers who opposed amnesty: moi — and Trump. (And that was only because the organizers didn’t know what we were going to say, so they couldn’t stop us.)

Ted Cruz spoke at that CPAC. But not a word against amnesty.

In more than a dozen tweets that year — the very year that Marco Rubio nearly destroyed the nation with his amnesty bill, as the “conservative” media cheered him on — Trump repeatedly denounced the maniacal push for amnesty:

– “Immigration reform is fine — but don’t rush to give away our country! Sounds like that’s what’s happening.” (Jan. 30, 2013)

– “Amnesty is suicide for Republicans. Not one of those 12 million who broke our laws will vote Republican. Obama is laughing at @GOP.” (March 19, 2013)

– “Now AP is banning the term ‘illegal immigrants.’ What should we call them? ‘Americans’?! This country’s political press is amazing!” (April 3, 2013)

– “TRUMP: IMMIGRATION BILL A REPUBLICAN ‘DEATH WISH’”; bit.ly/18QRQjA via @BreitbartNews by @mboyle1 (June 4, 2013)

Two years later, Trump announced he was running for president in a speech about “Mexican rapists,” pledging to deport illegal aliens and build a wall.

That speech was the biggest one-address bombshell since Sen. Joe McCarthy waved the list of 57 (not 206) Communists at the Wheeling, West Virginia, Lincoln Day Dinner in 1950. McCarthy bought this country another half-century of survival, and that’s exactly what Trump is doing right now.

Can you remember a single speech from any of the other candidates? Quick: Within five, how many Republicans are still running for president?

Since that speech, I’ve felt like I’m dreaming. The networks are suddenly bristling with discussions of all the topics previously banned from television (unless I sneaked it in during a segment on ISIS). Manifestly, the voters are solidly with Trump. No wonder the networks never allowed immigration to be discussed.

Trump didn’t propose a “virtual” wall, something “better than” a wall, a “high-tech” wall or any of the usual deflections that mean: open borders. He said he’d build a wall. The more his Republican opponents claimed it couldn’t be done, the more details Trump gave about the wall’s precise specifications.

When Trump first started talking about anchor babies, the entire media needed smelling salts, leading to this exchange with ABC’s Tom Llamas:

LLAMAS: That’s an offensive term. People find that hurtful.

TRUMP: You mean it’s not politically correct and yet everybody uses it.

LLAMAS: Look it up in the dictionary, it’s offensive.

TRUMP: I’ll use the word anchor baby. Excuse me, I’ll use the word anchor baby.

Now, everybody says “anchor baby.” It turns out that if Republicans don’t immediately go prostrate and apologize for failing to adhere to the Nation magazine’s stylebook, the word police don’t have a “Plan B.”

After San Bernardino, Trump proposed a temporary ban on Muslim immigration, and the media reacted as if he’d flown two planes into the World Trade Center. He didn’t budge. It turned out that no one who is not a sanctimonious douche was offended.

Trump keeps saying these things — and he’s not exactly getting kudos from the media. (Except on my webpage, where he’s a huge hit!) He’s never backed down. I’m beginning to think he believes what he says. Maybe it’s time to stop believing what the “conservative” media says.

Young Boy Stands Up For Trump- Then His Teacher Does Something Sickening In Response

waving flagReported by Kevin Whitson January 25, 2016

Western Journalism has reported in the past on liberals who target conservatives’ exercising of their freedom of speech, as well as freedom of the press on college campuses. Now, according to one 11-year-old caller to the Rush Limbaugh show, liberals are apparently going after pre-teens’ exercise of their freedom of speech.

An 11-year-old named Matthew, whose last name has not been released, spoke to Limbaugh on his radio show Friday. According to Matthew, his teacher asked for students to write the names of visionaries on the board. Some students wrote down names like Pope Francis and Rosa Parks, but Matthew chose Donald Trump. The student said he was immediately accosted by his teacher, who demanded that he erase Trump’s name from the board.

Matthew said his teacher then asked him what Trump ever did for anyone. He responded by saying that Trump was a successful businessman, and had built many beautiful buildings all around the world. He defended his view that Trump was a visionary, specifically mentioning his plans to close the borders by building a border wall with Mexico, and to put an end to ISIS.

Matthew had to erase Trump’s name, and was taken aback by the experience. He also said his classmates called him an idiot for supporting Trump.

“And she made me erase it. I’m thinking like, ‘Wait, why is…? I thought I had freedom of speech.  I mean, an anchor baby gets citizenship. Why don’t I?’ I kind of got mad after that. And people are targeting me, they’re saying, ‘Donald Trump’s sucks and you do too,’ and I really don’t know what to do,” he recountedATTA BOY

Stating that he didn’t want to disobey his teacher, Matthew told Limbaugh, “Well, she forced me to erase it because I didn’t want to disobey the teacher. But, I mean, I don’t exactly like backing down that much and I was kind of disturbed by that.”

Limbaugh encouraged Matthew to stay strong: “Well, it’s an honor to have you in the audience, and there’s no question about that. You’re very, very mature. Your parents gotta be so proud of you. You just continue to stay — I can’t believe I’m saying this to an 11-year-old — you just stay dedicated to what you truly believe, understanding that all kinds of people are gonna insult you or tell you you’re wrong.”

BREAKING: National Black Republican Association Endorses Candidate… This Is MASSIVE

waving flagReported by Wilmot Proviso on January 23, 2016

URL of the original posting site: http://conservativetribune.com/national-black-republican-association

In a statement released on its website Friday, the National Black Republican Association officially endorsed billionaire businessman Donald Trump in his run for the GOP presidential nomination.

“We, the grassroots activists of the National Black Republican Association, are pleased to announce our endorsement of Donald J. Trump for President of the United States of America,” the statement read.

The organization, which was founded in 2005 and “is committed to returning African-Americans to their Republican Party roots,” said that Donald Trump would be the best candidate to do that.

“As citizens who happen to be black, we support Mr. Trump because he shares our values,” the statement read. “We, like Mr. Trump, are fiscally conservative, steadfastly pro-life and believers in a small government that fosters freedom for individuals and businesses, so they can grow and become prosperous.”

The statement also praised Trump for his attention to an issue often overlooked by politicians looking to help the African-American community: stopping illegal immigration.

“We are deeply concerned about illegal immigration, a major cause of high black unemployment, especially among black youth,” the statement read.

“Black Americans across America are beginning to wake up and see clearly the reality of what is happening in black neighborhoods. Democrats have run black communities for the past 60 years and the socialist policies of the Democrats have turned those communities into economic and social wastelands, witness Detroit, Baltimore and South Chicago.’

“We believe that Mr. Trump has demonstrated that he can push back against the mainstream media, end political correctness and free black communities from the destructive grip of socialist Democrats.”

The endorsement closed with a plea to black voters to reject their pattern of voting for Democrats:

“We urge our fellow black Americans to seize control over their own destiny and leverage their vote the way other groups do. It is way past time black Americans stop having their vote taken for granted by Democrats, hold politicians accountable for the content of their policies and not vote merely based on the label of their party.”

We’ve already chronicled Trump’s success with black voters relative to other Republican candidates and the fact that Trump predicted that he would win the black vote. Could this be a demographic turning point for the 2016 election? Only time will tell.

One thing’s for certain, though: Donald Trump continues to make waves.

Donald Trump Hires Top Aide To Jeff Sessions To Help With Policy

waving flagReported by Photo of Alex Pappas Alex Pappas, Political Reporter,  01/26/2016

Donald Trump has hired a top aide to Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions (AL – R) for his presidential campaign, a sign that the Republican front-runner would continue focusing on the issue of immigration in a general election. Before accepting the job as a senior policy adviser to Trump, Stephen Miller served as communications director for Sessions. He announced his hiring in an email to friends and colleagues.

The Alabama senator advised Trump on immigration as the candidate developed a policy paper on the subject. Trump also held a rally last year in Sessions’ hometown of Mobile, Ala., where the senator took the stage and briefly donned a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Sessions has not yet endorsed anyone in the race.

“I’M IN HEAVEN!” conservative commentator Ann Coulter tweeted in response to Miller’s hiring after it was reported by The Washington Post.

“He’s not backing down on immigration,” Coulter, who holds similar views on the topic as Sessions, said of Trump.

Liberal and Conservative Media Unite Against Trump

Liberal and Conservative Media Unite Against Trump

We have never had total war against a candidate like we’re seeing with Donald Trump. All elements of national media are uniting to stop him.

Look for a fake Trump scandal to break — probably from a conservative news outlet — right before the Iowa caucus.

A few months ago, an alleged Trump quote from a 1998 People magazine interview was circulating on the Internet, claiming Trump said that if he ever ran for president, he’d run as a Republican because Republican voters are “the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up.”

I pay a lot for Nexis, and Trump has never said anything remotely resembling this. Snopes.com investigated, too, and also concluded the quote was a fake. But you can probably still find some idiot tweeting it out right now.

Last week, Glenn Beck “retweeted” a post allegedly tweeted by Trump the day after the 2012 election, saying: “I always vote for the winners! Congratulations to My Friend, @BarackObama!”

If that doesn’t sound like Trump, it’s because Trump never said it. Beck’s retweet sure made it look real, but you can check Trump’s Twitter archive.

All the stories about Trump being a fraud keep turning out to be the real frauds. I assume that, like most sentient beings, he’s changed his mind about some things. But the one consistent thread running through his entire life is his love for this country and his fellow Americans.

The attacks on Trump from the “conservative” media as a socialist, a Democrat, a flip-flopper, a fake conservative are just name-calling. I notice that the accusers never include examples, not true ones, anyway. Here are some examples of how Trump has always been for Americans first. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a president who likes us more than he likes foreigners — and the rich donors who employ them?

In 1986, Trump saw a TV broadcast with Annabell Hill, whose 67-year-old husband had committed suicide 20 minutes before their family farm was to be auctioned off in a foreclosure sale, hoping the life insurance money would be enough to save the farm. It wasn’t.

Trump immediately called Annabell, promising to save her farm and pledging $20,000 toward the effort. “Last night when he called, my heart went pitter patter,” Annabell told ABC’s “World News Tonight.” “I never talked with a man with that much money before. And he assured me that one day the land would be mine. I thought, after I hung up, ‘This can’t be true, this just can’t be true.’”

As Trump explained to The Atlanta Constitution at the time, “I’ve seen what’s happened to farmers, but I was particularly interested in a lovely woman I saw, Annabell Hill.”

Within a month of Trump’s launching a national campaign with two other businessmen to save Annabell’s farm, they had raised more than $100,000. One of the businessmen, Frank A. Argenbright Jr., said, “That is thanks totally to Mr. Trump and his organization. Most of the money has come from the New York area.”

By Christmas that year, Annabell and her entire family flew to New York to burn the mortgage in the lobby of Trump Towers and have Christmas dinner with the Trump family. The lovely Annabell said, “Well, we have a real celebration not only to celebrate the birth of Jesus but also to celebrate the goodness in men’s hearts.”

Thirty years ago, Trump wasn’t thinking about running for president. And yet, this is how he explained his campaign to save Annabell’s farm, as quoted by The Associated Press: “We give a lot of money to foreign countries that don’t give a damn about us, but we don’t help the American farmers.”

Two years later, Trump was interviewed by Larry King at the 1988 Republican National Convention. Please look up this interview — it’s fabulous.

Two things will be of particular interest. First, watch how Trump keeps circling back to praise Dan Quayle. King doesn’t even ask him about Quayle — a figure of media ridicule at the time because of his Midwest conservatism. It’s Trump who keeps doggedly bringing up Quayle, in order to say, he’s a “very impressive guy” who did “a great job — I don’t mean a good job, I mean a great job.”

Second, Trump expressly rejects King’s characterization of him as an “Eastern Republican,” or a “Rockefeller Republican,” saying the people he does best with are “the taxi drivers and the workers.”

Trump’s business is real estate, and real estate can’t be outsourced. His flag is planted in this country. If America goes down, his empire goes down.

Conservative pundits keep assuring clueless viewers that Trump is not a “real Republican.” They seem not to grasp that most viewers are saying, That’s fantastic! Thanks for reminding me. (I look forward to conservative talk show hosts 20 years hence billing themselves as “Trump Republicans.”)

Looking at what the party has become, I certainly hope he’s not a “real Republican.” I know he’s a real American. Those used to be the same thing.

North Korea Nuke Could Blow Up Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

waving flagby Joel B. Pollak6  Jan 2016, 6 Jan, 2016 6 Jan, 2016

URL of the original posting site: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/01/06/north-korea-nuke-could-blow-up-hillary-clintons-campaign

As Secretary of State in President Barack Obama’s first term, Clinton led a policy that sought new outlets for talks with North Korea while promising “to speak out forcefully” against the regime. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, traveled personally to North Korea to free U.S. journalists in 2009.

In 2007, then-candidate Obama had promised to meet with North Korean leaders, among others, “without preconditions,” saying that “the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them–which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this [Bush] administration–is ridiculous.” In his campaign manifesto, Obama went further, promising to “eliminate North Korea’s nuclear weapons program” through diplomacy.REALLY

In his 2010 State of the Union address, delivered while Hillary Clinton was in charge of his administration’s foreign policy, Obama boasted that he was succeeding in diplomacy with North Korea, as well as with Iran–that his diplomatic efforts had “strengthened our hand in dealing with those nations that insist on violating international agreements in pursuit of nuclear weapons.” He repeated the claim in his 2011 State of the Union Address, stating that his administration continued to “insist that North Korea keeps its commitment to abandon nuclear weapons.”More Liberal Gibberish

In 2013, North Korea conducted its third nuclear test on the day President Obama was to give his State of the Union address, putting an atomic stamp on the administration’s failure. In 2014, the administration struggled to respond to North Korean hacks that targeted Sony Pictures and its film, The Interview, that lampooned the regime.

Experts are skeptical that Wednesday’s test was a hydrogen bomb, but agree that it was a nuclear explosion, and not a natural earthquake.

Already, Clinton’s rivals are pouncing. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie told Fox & Friends Wednesday that “three out of the four nuclear detonations that the North Koreans have done have happened on Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s watch, and they have just not acted strongly at all around the world. It’s just another example piling on top of Iran, on top of Syria, on top of Crimea and Ukraine. This is what weak American leadership gets you.”

The fact that Bill Clinton, as well as Hillary Clinton, was involved in recent diplomacy with North Korea may also tempt GOP frontrunner Donald Trump to renew his attack on the former president. Recently, Trump has revived the issue of Bill Clinton’s conduct towards women–and his wife’s alleged enabling behavior.

Trump: Hillary Clinton Should Disarm Her Bodyguards If She Really Believes ‘Guns Don’t Keep You Safe’

by AWR Hawkins3 Jan 2016, 3 Jan, 2016 3 Jan, 2016

On December 19 Breitbart News reported that Clinton reacted to the surge in gun sales that followed the San Bernardino terror attack by saying, “Guns, in and of themselves…will not make Americans safer.” She then listed the number of gun-related deaths each year in a way that appeared to suggest guns actually make America less safe.

On January 3 Trump responded with: “Hillary said that guns don’t keep you safe. If she really believes that she should demand that her heavily armed bodyguards quickly disarm!”

As Donald Trump continues to be the man to beat in the Republican presidential primary race, the liberal media has been having a field day claiming that women hate Trump because of his allegedly sexist remarks. The assumption by many in the liberal world is that Hillary Clinton would easily win a hypothetical match-up with Trump because she will gain most of the women’s vote. The only problem with this thought is that reality is proving to be much different.

Women are supporting Trump, and in much greater numbers than most political analysts would have predicted. Trump has been quick to jump on this to show the world that he isn’t just running a campaign for white males.

Most recently, Trump tweeted a photo of a woman at one of his rallies wearing a special T-shirt:

Hillary fior Prison

The shirt displayed a “Hillary for Prison 2016” slogan that has become popular among conservatives who still remember how her actions led to the deaths of Americans during the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack.

Hillary Clinton — with her family’s baggage — is arguably one of the worst presidential candidates the Democrats have put forward in a long time, and that’s saying something, considering her closest rival is a self-proclaimed socialist who may or may not be certifiably insane.

Hillary has a long track record of breaking the law and getting away with it. It’s about time that someone put a stop to her lawbreaking and threw her in jail where she belongs.H-Cell-600-LI

Maybe Trump will be that person, maybe not — but one thing is certain: There is quite possibly nothing more dangerous than Hillary Clinton as president. We all know the havoc she wrought as secretary of state. Imagine what the world would look like with her in the Oval Office.

Charles Hurt: Mainstream Media Underwent ’12 Stages of Denial,’ Now Seeing The Rise of Donald Trump

by Alex Swoyer 30 Dec 2015 Washington, DC

“The guy is steamrolling through a lot of places all over the country,” he added, “and they’re mad at Trump!”

Hurt said that thousands of pages of laws were signed by President Obama, but “none of it went to address the shocking problems we are facing right now in terms of debt, in terms of the threats we face from ISIS and their sympathizers.”

“People are beyond fed up,” he added. Hurt said Americans are past the Tea Party movement. “We’re past that now…they want to torch the place and start over again.”Picture13

He said people are justifiably angry.

“I’m angry. I can’t believe the way things have gotten so twisted around in this country,” not working is rewarded by this government, while hard work is punished. “It’s a really screwed up thing.”

“They’re desperate for somebody…who will address the problems honestly and forthrightly and in plain language and sometimes harsh language and that’s what Donald Trump does,” Hurt added.

“It’s been something that’s been percolating a long time,” Hurt told guest host Alex Marlow, in for Stephen K. Bannon, about the rise of the anti-establishment. “It’s been sort of slowly accumulating…at some point it was going to have to break.”

Hurt said one of the big issues that has broken the establishment was the left’s control of the media.

“It was a massive disservice,” Hurt said of the mainstream media controlling the narrative. Now with the internet, Hurt says “all of that stuff gets broken down…normal sane people actually have a say.”

“The right is not a monolithic organization that is controlling everything. It’s a loud disaggregation of voices and that’s what we see,” Hurt said, adding that the left is “nothing if not monolithic.”no more rinos

“Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is giving the Democratic frontrunner a healthy challenge and there are polls where he’s ahead… wthin striking distance of her,” Hurt stressed. “Bernie Sanders is a socialist!”

“It’s amazing that he caucuses with Democrats,” he added.

“The idea that this is even a remote prospect anywhere on the horizon of American political thought…communism has killed more people… the idea that this guy is out there…talk about hate speech…this guy is treated as legitimate and the media goes bananas over Donald Trump because he talks about wanting to secure the border, wanting to stop radical Islamic terrorism.”

“The idea that the media finds that so much more shocking…it really tells you a lot about where mainstream media is and how completely totally out of touch, lost touch, the entire Democrat Party really is these days,” Hurt said.

He added that the establishment is “terrified of going after any Democrat over anything,” adding that they are afraid to take on immigration, Bill Clinton’s sex scandalized past and Black Lives Matter.

“All I can think is do they have something in their background we should know about,” Hurt questioned. “Who gets nervous about making intelligent arguments about something and worries about being called a racist?”

“She is responsible,” Hurt said of Hillary Clinton’s role in Bill Clinton’s sexual past. “She stood by him every step of the way and she led the charge in discrediting and destroying every single one of these victims.”

“She is absolutely 100 percent culpable and responsible,” he added. “The only war on women I’m aware of is the war on women that’s raged by Bill Clinton.”

Hurt said this opens the lane for Trump. “He just walks right on up and all he has to do is state the obvious at every turn and he has become Teflon Don.”

BOOM: Trump Reveals First Dept. He’ll Cut as President… Liberals Howl in Horror

Speaking with Fox News host Chris Wallace this weekend, 2016 GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump made a remarkable statement about what he planned for the Department of Education, if and when he becomes president.

I may cut Department of Education,” Trump said. “I believe Common Core is a very bad thing. I believe that we should be — you know, educating our children from Iowa, from New Hampshire, from South Carolina, from California, from New York. I think that it should be local education.”Picture13

Many Americans agree, especially as the Department of Education has grown into a massive bureaucracy more focused on indoctrinating students in the Islamic faith and “white privilege” than in actually teaching them things that matter, like, say, literature and math.

Plus, getting rid of the Department of Education would give parents much more power over what their children learn.

However, whether Trump could get actually rid of Common Core, which is his apparent goal, remains to be seen.

As The Daily Caller reporter Blake Neff explained, “While Common Core is promoted indirectly by the Department of Education, it is still adopted individually by state governments, and the federal government does not control it.”

Still, it’s a very worthwhile goal to consider since many parents are fed-up with Common Core’s “one-size-fits-all” approach to education.

Frankly, education is much too important to be mass produced … and thankfully, most Americans, including Donald Trump, get this.

Conservative Icon says that Donald Trump is the “Last Hope for America”!

“This is a betrayal of the grassroots and of the Republican Party. We thought we were electing a different crowd to stand up for America, and they didn’t. We’re extremely outraged by what Congress has done. Nancy Pelosi couldn’t have engineered it any better. I think the people are going to react by electing Donald Trump.”

Conservative icon and founder of the Eagle Forum, Phyllis Schlafly, gave an exclusive interview to World Net Daily where she opined that Donald Trump was the “Last Hope for America.” Her comments came in reaction to the passing of the disastrous Omnibus Bill and Trump’s fiery response to the disgusting bill.

Here’s what Trump had to say about the Omnibus bill:

If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan.  In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.’

“The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare.  Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests.  How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay?  Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it.  Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?’

“The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people.  It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt.  To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable.  Together, we will Make America Great Again.”

Schlafly gave her full-throated support of Trump’s comments to WND.

“It sounds like Donald Trump is the only one who has any fight in him. He will fight for the issues that we really care about and are very hot at the present time, such as the immigration issue. I don’t see anyone else who’s eager to fight.”

She then added that the GOP had just betrayed the American people with their support of the Omnibus bill.

donald trump“It’s the worst kind of a betrayal because we thought we elected a bunch of good guys who would shape up the party. We had a lot of fancy promises that the Republicans were going to shape up and change course. And they disappointed us. Betrayal is an appropriate word to describe it.”

When WND wondered if Trump was America’s “last hope,” Schlafly begrudgingly agreed with the sentiment.

He does look like he’s the last hope [for America]. We don’t hear anybody saying what he’s saying. In fact, most of the people who ought to be lining up with him are attacking him. They’re probably jealous of the amount of press coverage he gets. But the reason he gets so much press coverage is How is Trump Looking Now no more rinos In God We Trust freedom combo 2the grassroots are fed up with people who are running things, and they do want a change. The vote of confidence from one of America’s most iconic conservatives will give Trump a boost with the grassroots conservative movement who still largely look at Trump with a skeptical eye.

Hillary Clinton Fan Threatens Mosque; Media Blame Trump

by Joel B. Pollak21 Dec 2015, 21 Dec, 2015 22 Dec, 2015

URL of the original posting site: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/21/hillary-clinton-backer-threatens-mosque-media-blame-trump

The mainstream media are reporting that a Bay Area plumber who allegedly planned to bomb a California mosque was a Donald Trump supporter–though he explicitly supported Hillary Clinton.

On Sunday, police arrested 55-year-old William Celli “on suspicion of possessing an explosive device and making criminal threats,” CBS San Francisco reported. A bomb squad detonated a device at his house. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) cheered the arrest.

CBS elaborated further: “On Facebook, Celli repeatedly praised Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, whose plan to bar any Muslims from entering the United States has drawn criticism even as he continues to rise in the polls.”

The Huffington Post and other left-wing sites played up Celli’s support of Trump, implying that Trump was responsible for “propelling” bigotry and “white domestic terrorism” into the “mainstream” of political debate.Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

What the media left out, however, is that Celli also praised Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

In one post, Celli wrote: “Hillary Would make a great president. If she would commit to what she is hiding. But she has to crucify the president. Then her run for the White house is over.”

William Celli Facebook Post

The post praising Hillary Clinton is dated Oct. 22–the day Clinton testified for 11 hours at the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

The Huffington Post and other outlets claimed the story has been overlooked because

Celli doesn’t fit the profile of the “terrorist” who is likely to be invoked on cable news or on a GOP debate stage. In fact, judging by Celli’s Facebook page, he seems to be the exact inverse: a disgruntled white man who has bought into the xenophobic rhetoric of people like GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.Lies Lies and More Lies

Or Hillary Clinton. But never mind the facts.

Update: The Contra Costa Times follows the same pattern, calling William Celli a “Donald Trump supporter” in the headline and throughout the piece, quoting extensively from his Facebook page without mentioning his support for Hillary Clinton.

Screenshot of Contra Costa Times 11 p.m. Monday Dec. 21, 2015

(Screenshot of Contra Costa Times 11 p.m. Monday Dec. 21, 2015)

The article uses Celli’s arrest as a way to slam Trump:

Trump has received mounting criticism from both political parties for inflammatory comments about the Muslim community, such as the idea to create databases to track American Muslims and restrict Muslims from entering the country. Critics have warned that such comments could fuel Islamophobia.

No mention of Clinton whatsoever appears in the article.

One of the authors, Thomas Peele, mocked “Bill the Plumber” on Twitter:

peele

Peele’s website boasts that he has won “more than 50 journalism awards.”

Update 2: Here’s Mediaite‘s Ken Meyer, linking to Talking Points Memo‘s Caitlin Cruz, linking to Raw Story‘s Travis Gettys, all regurgitating the “Trump supporter” claim, all quoting extensively from Celli’s Facebook page, and none mentioning his remarks about Hillary Clinton.

Update 3: The San Francisco Chronicle mentions Celli’s posts about Trump but not his comments about Clinton. It also quotes CAIR–an organization that has been helping the family of the San Bernardino terrorists–raising concerns about Trump.

Update 4: In wades Dean Obeidallah, the so-called-comedian-turned-CNN-contributor, writing at the Daily Beast, repeating all the same mistakes above, citing Celli as evidence “Trump has already radicalized Americans to commit and plot acts of violence right here on American soil.” Obeidallah, notably, links to CBS and to Travis Gettys at Raw Story, not to Celli’s Facebook page–another who is simply too lazy to do his own research:

The latest example came Sunday after William Celli of Richmond, California was arrested for building explosive devices that he allegedly planned to use to kill Muslim Americans. What inspired Celli’s actions? Well, we know that Celli’s Facebook page was filled with his posts praising Trump, even adding that he would follow Trump “to the end of the world.” This is not unlike social media posts pledging undying loyalty to ISIS type groups.Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Now There’s New VIDEO Of Jimmy Carter Banning Immigration

waving flagBy

carter

We know now that not only is Trump’s call to halt Muslim Immigration perfectly Constitutional, we also know that past presidents have taken very similar action.

Liberals were furious when it was pointed out that Jimmy Carter also banned immigration for certain folks during the 1980 Iran Hostage Crisis. But that’s precisely what he did and The Gateway Pundit managed to dig up video from ABC News that proves it.

Here’s the transcript from ABC News, highlighting the relevant part:

Ever since Iranian terrorists imprisoned American Embassy personnel in Tehran early in November, these 50 men and women—their safety, their health, and their future—have been our central concern. We’ve made every effort to obtain their release on honorable, peaceful, and humanitarian terms, but the Iranians have refused to release them or even to improve the inhumane conditions under which these Americans are being held captive.

The events of the last few days have revealed a new and significant dimension in this matter. The militants controlling the Embassy have stated they are willing to turn the hostages over to the Government of Iran, but the Government has refused to take custody of the American hostages. This lays bare the full responsibility of the Ayatollah Khomeini and the Revolutionary Council for the continued illegal and outrageous holding of the innocent hostages. The Iranian Government can no longer escape full responsibility by hiding behind the militants at the Embassy.

It must be made clear that the failure to release the hostages will involve increasingly heavy costs to Iran and to its interests. I have today ordered the following steps.

First, the United States of America is breaking diplomatic relations with the Government of Iran. The Secretary of State has informed the Government of Iran that its Embassy and consulates in the United States are to be closed immediately. All Iranian diplomatic and consular officials have been declared persona non grata and must leave this country by midnight tomorrow.

Second, the Secretary of the Treasury will put into effect official sanctions prohibiting exports from the United States to Iran, in accordance with the sanctions approved by 10 members of the United Nations Security Council on January 13 in the resolution which was vetoed by the Soviet Union. Although shipment of food and medicine were not included in the U.N. Security Council vote, it is expected that exports even of these items to Iran will be minimal or nonexistent.

Third, the Secretary of Treasury will make a formal inventory of the assets of the Iranian Government, which were frozen by my previous order, and also will make a census or an inventory of the outstanding claims of American citizens and corporations against the Government of Iran. This accounting of claims will aid in designing a program against Iran for the hostages, for the hostage families, and other U.S. claimants. We are now preparing legislation, which will be introduced in the Congress, to facilitate processing and paying of these claims.

Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly.

The liberal media is apoplectic over White America and Donald Trump. Trump’s a racist, Republicans are Islamophobes and the entire country is a wellspring of bigotry and hatred. Right? Right?

So to prove this point, The Detroit Free Press ran a front-page editorial (right above a story about a robot butler, FrontPageMag points out) condemning Donald Trump, his followers and anyone concerned about Radical Islam and terrorism.

One huge problem: Their photo accompanying the article is of a known terrorist sympathizer.

Is there a worse picture to put with this story? Maybe bin Laden?

Imam Husham Al-Husayni tells his fellow Muslims to “get ready for holy jihad.” He has refused to denounce the terrorist group Hezbollah and celebrates the murder of Jews.

Not exactly the kind of person you want as a poster child for tolerance.

Here’s some of the DFP’s bloviating:

Americans who support the real estate magnate turned reality television star turned ersatz politician either bestow approval on the candidate precisely because of his disdain for immigrants, Hispanics and Muslims — or because it just doesn’t bother them that much.

Contrast Trump’s statements to President Barack Obama’s Sunday night address from the Oval Office:

“Muslim Americans are our friends and our neighbors, our coworkers, our sports heroes — and, yes, they are our men and women in uniform who are willing to die in defense of our country. We have to remember that.”

And so: We stand with San Bernardino. We stand with Paris. We stand with Beirut. We stand with Syrian refugees, seeking a safer life in our country, still a beacon of democracy and freedom, despite Trump’s efforts to the contrary. We stand with the Christians, Muslims, Jews, atheists, Hindus, Buddhists and all others who make up our community.

Ann Coulter Letter: “Happy Birthday to Me!”

URL of the original posting site: http://humanevents.com/2015/12/09/happy-birthday-to-me-2/?utm_source=coulterdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

Happy Birthday to Me!

For my best birthday gift this week, Donald Trump called for blocking Muslim immigration to the United States. If he throws in all immigration, it will be my merriest Christmas ever.

By contrast, the eunuchs running against Trump went mental.

Marco Rubio called Trump’s proposed moratorium on Muslim immigration “offensive and outlandish.”

Rubio’s idea for stopping Muslim terrorist attacks on U.S. soil is something simple: Launch several wars to clean up the entire Middle East.

Chris Christie called Trump’s plan “ridiculous,” saying, “This is the kind of thing that people say when they have no experience and don’t know what they’re talking about.”

People with “experience” say things like: Walls don’t work and are “too expensive.”

Ted Cruz said he disagreed with Trump and instead would focus on “radical Islamic terrorism.” Cruz will have a lot more radicals to focus on if we keep importing a quarter million Muslims every year.

And these were Republicans. MSNBC acted as if the nation had come under terrorist attack (by a Muslim immigrant) with its round-the-clock, breaking-news coverage of Trump’s proposal, rife with images of dangerous demagogues from George Wallace to Hitler.

People without real arguments call anything they don’t like “racist” or “unconstitutional.”

Trump’s proposal is neither — I won’t waste space mentioning 100 years of constitutional law and practice, but of course our country has absolute authority to decide who gets to immigrate here.

In the 14 years since Muslims killed 3,000 Americans on 9/11, this country has admitted another 1.5 million Muslims. So we’re xenophobic, bigoted racists if we don’t make it 2 million? Three million? When will we have enough? How many murdered Americans is an acceptable number before we can shut off the spigot of Muslim immigration?

The amazing thing is that no one (except the American people) wants any pause in Muslim immigration — even after more than a dozen Muslim terrorist attacks on our soil in the last 15 years.

House Speaker Paul Ryan announced that he will refuse to consider cuts to Muslim immigration, saying, “That’s not who we are.”

Republicans are totally copacetic with Pew’s recent finding that white Christians are now a minority in America, but furious with Trump for suggesting we take a break from importing Muslims.

Can we move them to Ryan’s district? According to Pew, only 11 percent of Muslims are Republican or “lean Republican.” They may not make the “best Americans” — as Ryan claims — but at least they’d get rid of him.

The hysterical demand for never-ending Third World immigration has gone beyond the rich’s need for cheap servants and the Democrats’ need for voters. It’s a mass psychosis.

Everyone acts as if Pakistani pushcart operators are the same as American blacks, and we’re required to bring them here to make up for the legacy of slavery.

Foreigners aren’t the descendants of American slaves! The rest of the world does not have a civil right to move here. We’re under no moral imperative to allow any immigration at all. We don’t owe citizens of other countries anything.

But as long as you brought it up: They owe us. America runs around saving other countries from tsunamis, earthquakes, pirates, disease, starvation, warlords, dictators, Nazis, communists — then their citizens show up full of grievances, as if we owe them.

Angry Muslims have been popping up all over TV to denounce Trump and complain about anti-Muslim bigotry in the U.S. If they’d prefer a country with a larger Muslim population and no white devil oppressors, low-rent mud huts are available in any of about 50 Muslim countries around the world. First month free; after that, two goats a month.

In addition to the thoughtful policy objection that Trump is a racist, we’ve been treated to an endless stream of stunningly stupid arguments against Trump’s proposal.

Fox News’ Dana Perino complained that Trump’s policy doesn’t “distinguish the peaceful from the radicals.”

Yeah, nor can our government.

Given the devastation caused by only two Muslims in San Bernardino, eight Muslims in Paris, two at the Boston Marathon, one at a Chattanooga military recruitment center, one at Fort Hood, 19 on 9/11, etc. etc. — it’s really irrelevant whether “most” Muslim immigrants are peaceful little lambs. It doesn’t take a lot of them to create havoc.

I don’t know why we need any.

While it’s fantastic news that most Muslim immigrants aren’t terrorists, as Samuel Johnson said, “A horse who can count to 10 is a remarkable horse, not a remarkable mathematician.”

We want remarkable Americans, not immigrants whose selling point is: “hasn’t blown anything up yet.” What’s the upside of admitting 250,000 poor, culturally backward, non-English-speaking Muslims every year? When are we allowed to talk about what’s good for America?

San Bernardino shooter Syed Farouk’s mother described his father — the original immigrant — this way: “My husband is mentally ill and is on medication but is also an alcoholic and drinks with the medicine.”

Fantastic. So glad we got him. The father, who has been here since 1973 — thanks, Teddy Kennedy! — told an Italian newspaper that he preached moderation to his son, saying it’s not worth fighting Israel, because Russia, China and the U.S. “don’t want Jews there any more.” In “two years,” he assured his son, “Israel will not exist any more.”

So after four decades in American culture, these highly integrated, model immigrants are still clinging to their insane magic potion fantasies.

The senior Farouk didn’t come here to work in some highly complex technical field, like nuclear physics or cell extraction biology. He’s a truck driver. So one American lost his job as a truck driver and 14 Americans lost their lives because of Ted Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act.

How else have the 1.5 million Muslims admitted since 9/11 made our country better? Their massive welfare use? Overburdening our schools and hospitals? The machete attacks? The clitorectomies? The honor killings? The occasional terrorist attack?

Currently, there are more than a thousand active investigations of ISIS in all 50 states. Here’s an idea: Instead of paying for an ever-expanding federal workforce to track, wiretap and investigate immigrants with possible terrorist sympathies, let’s stop bringing them in!

Beginning to sense the public’s fury, a number of Republican politicians have been trying to talk tough on immigration. This week, Trump proved that that’s all it is: talk.

Trump’s “Nutty” Proposal Is Already the Law of the Land — and Was Used by Jimmy Carter During the Hostage Crisis

RUSH: Here is number eight US Code 1182, inadmissible aliens (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182; Section B;(3)).  This law was written in 1952.  It was passed by a Democrat-controlled Congress, House and Senate, and signed by a Democrat president.

“Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president.  Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, the president may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Over here, everybody in the establishment in the political class, Republican, Democrat, media, you name it, is all claiming that what Trump said is dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous, unconstitutional, while it is the law of the land.  And it was utilized by Jimmy Carter, no less, in 1979 to keep Iranians out of the United States, but he actually did more.  He made all Iranian students already here check in, and then he deported a ton of ’em.

There is precedent for everything Donald Trump has said he wants to do.  And if you listen to the wizards of smart in this country and our political establishment, you will think that this stuff is just unheard of, it’s almost unspeakable, it’s just indecent.  Here we have in the establishment the reputed best and brightest, the smartest. We’re not even qualified to be in their company no less.  And they’re dunces on this.

In November the 1979 United States attorney general had given all Iranian students one month to report to the local immigration office.  Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the United States, 1979.  When this law, inadmissible aliens I just read to you, which I’m gonna be reading a lot to you today to the point you’re gonna get tired of hearing it, but you won’t forget it.

This law was passed in 1952.  Do you know what was going on in 1952, among other things?  There was no immigration in 1952.  It was shut down.  Immigration was shut down 1924 to 1965.  And why did we have this?  What was the need for this in 1952?  Oh, yeah, we had rampant illegal immigration. I’m talking about we suspended legal immigration from 1924 to 1965, but we were being overrun in 1952 like we always are.  We’re the last great hope of the world.  That law was written to allow the president to keep undesirables out and to kick undesirables out.  There’s no mystery.America are you paying attention

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I’ve got to remind you of something here, folks.  The Jimmy Carter stuff that I just told you about, all of these statements that Jimmy Carter made were made in public, and the announcements that he made that he was gonna send Iranians home, Iranian students home, that they had to report to immigration, they had to confirm they were here legally, those who weren’t were sent back. They put a moratorium on all Iranians being allowed in the country back in 1979.

Carter did that publicly.  He announced it in public, and he announced it proudly.  Cookie has been scouring our archives and all of the other archives that are out there to try to find Carter audio.  But she can’t.  And the reason is, the networks are not digging it up and playing it for anybody.  The networks have it, is the point.  There is video of Jimmy Carter making these announcements.  ABC, CBS, NBC, the odds are, have video of Jimmy Carter, just as they do of Reagan and Nixon and all the way back to Kennedy, when television started, they’ve got it.  They’re just not interested in finding it. They’re not interested in dredging it up and playing it for anybody.

These are not proclamations on a Friday night document dump where nobody was paying attention.  Carter proudly announced these maneuvers in public.  And the Drive-Bys, if they were doing their jobs, would be digging into their archives trying to find this.  But it’s not in their interests, because right now they’re all trying to say that what Trump has proposed is unconstitutional, it’s ugly.  What Trump wants to do is dangerously ugly.  It ignores the law, it ignores the Constitution, and it feeds into our worst impulses.  It feeds into the worst aspects of who we are, just ugly.  In fact, it’s not, it’s been used before. It’s been United States law since 1952.  Get back to that here in just a second.  I got another salient point to make about that, but I want to tell you about SurveyUSA.  Now, listen to this.

They just completed two surveys in cities near San Bernardino.  Their focus was on Trump’s declaration that the United States should block any Muslims from entering the country.  In both of these cities near San Bernardino, the majority of adults polled supported Trump’s proposal.  In fact, more than a third of adults in both of these cities strongly agreed with the idea that Muslims should be barred from entering the country.  In both cities, more people strongly agreed with the idea than strongly disagreed.  You combine the “strongly agree” and “somewhat agree,” you combine that, and you are well into a majority of people who agree with Trump on this.

There was a partisan split, as you might expect, but even among Democrats, more than a quarter of them answering the poll strongly agreed with Trump’s idea.  When have 25% of Democrats agreed with any Republican idea?  Can you recall?  When have 25% of Democrats ever agreed with any Republican proposal?  The Washington Post is the source for this.  The Washington Post reports the results of SurveyUSA’s data, and the Washington Post notes that both of these towns heavily voted Obama in 2008 and 2012.  And a majority clearly now agree with Trump.

So here again, number 8 United States Code, inadmissible aliens.  “Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by president.  Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may, by proclamation,” meaning he doesn’t have to go back and get a new vote.  This law empowers him to stand up and do what Jimmy Carter did.  “He may, by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary –” until next week, until next year, until whenever he wants “– suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

Now, apparently our armchair constitutional scholars inside the Beltway think that United States code must be unconstitutional, ’cause they’re running around saying it’d be unconstitutional what Trump is suggesting, ridiculous, you can’t do that, it would be horrible.  It’s right there in the United States statutory law.  The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, written and passed by Democrat-controlled Congress and signed into law by a Democrat president.  Trump’s proposal is legal because all of our immigration laws have always barred some groups of people based on their actions or ethnicity or nationality.

The very first US immigration law was the Chinese Exclusionary Act of 1882.  Then there was the Anarchist Exclusion Act of 1903, which we have discussed on this program.  But this has reminded me of something.  A couple of weeks ago Obama went on TV, as he is wont to do, and said (imitating Obama), “We do not have a religious test for people entering our country.  It doesn’t matter what they believe.  We have freedom of religion in this country, whatever amendments since then.  And it’s the law, it’s our law, and we cannot ask people about their religion, and we certainly cannot use what they say as a reason to keep –”  And I was forced to remind everybody that not only can we, we must, because it is also American statutory law.  We must ask immigrants seeking asylum what their religious beliefs are.  We have done it.  We continue to do it.  Here’s why.

The primary reason most refugees give for seeking asylum is that they are fleeing religious persecution in whatever war torn place they’re coming from.  During the interview process, it is required that we investigate that.  “What religion are you?” we ask.  They must tell us.  Based on what they tell us, we then examine whether or not there is indeed persecution of that religious belief in the place where the immigrant, the refugee, is coming from.  We dealt with this a couple of weeks ago.  Obama said you could never have a religious test for refugees, and we showed that a religious test is actually written into the statutes that govern refugees and asylum.

You know, the thing is here, folks, whether we’re talking about the hard left or the progressive left or these RINO type Republicans and the commentariat, these people are actually making up a new Constitution and body of law as they go along based on how they feel.  So Trump comes along, they do not know about this law.  They obviously don’t know it or they wouldn’t be making fools of themselves saying what they’re saying.  They don’t know the law exists.  Trump proposes that we put a moratorium on Muslims entering the country, and they just have a conniption fit and they talk about how it’s violating the Constitution and it makes a mockery of our system and it makes a mockery of our values and this is not who we are. They’re just telling us how they feel, but they are certainly not knowledgeable of the Constitution.  They’re making it up.

Tom Brokaw is one of many out there claiming what Trump wants to do so is unconstitutional, it’s in violation of United States law, it would never stand up in court.  He doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but he certainly is letting us know how he feels about it and making up his own law and his own Constitution as he goes, as they are all doing.

So as a result the last thing that they want anybody to do is actually look at what the law of the United States is.  And they certainly don’t want us looking at the history of this country because they certainly do not want us finding any precedent for anything that, in this case, Trump has suggested.  So now we have the soap opera, the daily soap opera that is the narrative of the day written by the media in Washington, and we’ve got the same thing about history.

We have the daily narrative, the daily soap opera script about what US history is and what it isn’t.  Every one of these people that are denouncing Trump are living in fantasy land, and they’re doing so with an out-of-control ego and superiority and supremacy about themselves that they are untouchable intellectually. They’re smarter than any of us. They know; we don’t.  They are clueless about what they are talking about, and they are presented before us as the opinion leaders we should know, believe, love, and trust.

This is why — again, my friends — we wrote Rush Revere’s Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans.  It’s to tell the truth of the American founding, truthful American history written for eight- to 11-year-olds. The latest book came out in October, Rush Revere and the Star-Spangled Banner.  This is one of the many reasons why that whole project exists and why we’ve taken it on, and why we’re so grateful it’s doing so well.

BEAUMONT –

Local imam Nidal candidates agreed with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s controversial plan to institute a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” until a further review can be conducted by “country representatives.”

Alsayyed told 12News exclusively, “I certainly see it to be wise (to) stop temporarily accepting any new Muslim immigrants (refugees and non-refugees) into the United States.”

His justification, Alsayyed said, “is based on the fact that we can hardly distinguish who is Muslim and who is not.  Islam is not about an ID card or last name or shouting ‘Allahu Akbar.'”AMEN

READ: Trump calls for total ban on Muslims entering the U.S.

Trump on Monday said, “our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.”

The imam, who leads the Islamic Center of Triplex in Beaumont, said while he agrees with Trump on closing the door until more review is conducted, “this should not prevent the United States to fulfill its duties towards international partners” and calls of humanity outside the United States. Alsayyed said he does not believe there is anything unconstitutional about Trump’s proposal saying, “when it comes to peace and safety,” a ban would be acceptable.

We American Muslims need to be sincere in our religion and to the country we are living in. Peace comes before religion. We need to be truthful and transparent when we express a viewpoint or feedback. It does not matter whether Trump said it or anyone else,” said the imam.

The cleric also said, “American Muslims need to say we are with this country,” and raise the American flag with patriotism.AMEN

Trump’s stance drew immediate criticism not only from Democratic candidates and the White House but also from fellow Republican presidential candidates.

Alsayyed said he would advise Trump “not to agitate and differentiate Muslim versus non-Muslim refugees. Terror acts are usually plotted and managed by individuals who are residing, living, and knowing their way around, not refugees that are mostly children.”

Millions Furious As Trump Releases His Plan for 2nd Amendment…

waving flagWritten by Andrew SpaldingThursday, November 26, 2015

One common criticism of billionaire businessman and presidentialcropped-george-washington-regarding-2nd-amandment.jpg candidate Donald Trump is that he far too often speaks in vague generalities and rarely offers specifics about where he stands on the issues. That is no longer the case, at least regarding his stance on gun rights and the Second Amendment, as Trump just released his official policy position on his campaign website.

“The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period,” the position paper began.

Trump went on to explain that the right to keep and bear arms is a right that pre-exists both the government and the email02Constitution, noting that government didn’t create the right, nor can it take it away.

He also rightly denoted the Second Amendment as “America’s first freedom,” pointing out that it helps protect all of the other rights we hold dear.

In order to protect and defend that right, Trump proposed tougher enforcement of laws that are already on the books, rather than adding new gun control laws.

Citing a successful program in Richmond, Virginia, that sentenced gun criminals to mandatory minimum five-year sentences in federal prison, Trump noted that crime rates will fall dramatically when criminals are taken off the streets for lengthy periods of time.

Trump also proposed strengthening and expanding laws allowing law-abiding gun owners to defend themselves from criminals using their own guns, without fear of repercussion from the government.

Noting that many of the recent high-profile shooters had clear mental problems that should have been addressed, Trump proposed fixing our nation’s broken mental health system by increasing treatment opportunities for the non-violent mentally ill, but removing from the streets those people who pose a danger to themselves and others.

Trump would do away with pointless and ineffective gun and magazine bans and suggested fixing the current background check system already in place, rather than expanding a broken system.

Furthermore, Trump proposed a national right to carry, a national concealed carry reciprocity law that would compel states to recognize the concealed carry permits of any other state, exactly as drivers licenses from anywhere are accepted by all states today.

Finally, Trump would lift the prohibition on military members carrying weapons on military bases and in recruiting centers, allowing trained military members to carry weapons to protect themselves from attacks by terrorists, criminals and the mentally unstable, as we have seen recently.Hey Leftist

This is great, and those who cherish our right to keep and bear arms should be pleased by Trump’s stated position on the Second Amendment.

What do you think about Trump’s plan? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Trump 100% Vindicated: CBS Reports ‘Swarm’ On Rooftops Celebrating 9/11

by John Nolte 2 Dec 2015

The video below is from a September 16, 2001 news report:

vid01

Just a couple of blocks away from that Jersey City apartment the F.B.I. raided yesterday and had evidence removed, there is another apartment building, one that investigators told me, quote, was swarming with suspects — suspects who I’m told were cheering on the roof when they saw the planes slam into the Trade Center. Police were called to the building by neighbors and found eight men celebrating, six of them tenants in the building.

The F.B.I. and other terrorist task force agencies arrived, and the older investigators on the task force recalled that they had been to this building before, eight years ago, when the first World Trade Center attack led them to Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, whose Jersey City mosque lies between the two buildings getting attention today. And the older investigators remember that the suspects that eventually got convicted for the first Trade Center case … lived in the building where these same eight men were celebrating the destruction that they saw from the roof. Calling this a hot address, the task force investigators ordered everyone detained.

“Swarms.”

“Swarms.”

“Swarms.”

ADDED: People are arguing falsely that the fact that only 8 suspects were apprehended contradicts the “swarm” claim. Read it again. An “investigator” told CBS about the “swarm.” The fact that a certain number were brought into custody does not change the fact that there was a “swarm.”  The obvious impression is that of the “swarm,” only eight were brought into custody. Eight people do not swarm on all those rooftops. They “gather.” Look at the video of the rooftop and picture “swarming.”

You want to get into semantics about how many people make up a swarm?

But that’s not all.

You have to add up all of the contemporaneous news reports. You are Donald Trump. You are taking in all the news during that awful week. You are told by the media that “swarms” of Muslims in a known terrorist’s neighborhood were seen on rooftops celebrating 9/11. Just two days earlier you have read this in the New York Post:

Here in New York, it was easy to get angry listening to Egyptians, Palestinians and the Arabs of nearby Paterson, N.J., celebrate as they received word of the murderous attack in New York and Washington. But Mayor Giuliani (who has been tireless and magnificent in this crisis) rightly warned New Yorker-ers that is would be wrong to take their anger our on the city’s Arab and Muslim residents. Attacks on Arab-Americans in Paterson or elsewhere are utterly indefensible.

You hear radio news reports about Muslims celebrations.

MTV runs a news report about Muslim celebrations.

From all of those news reports, it is perfectly reasonable and nothing close to lying to put together a picture of “thousands”.

FACT: Donald Trump is now 100% vindicated.

If these celebrations did not occur, the only thing Trump did wrong was to believe the same media that is now calling him a liar — and doing so to cover up the truth about American Muslims celebrating 9/11 and their own covering up of that fact.

Numerous times I’ve suggested Trump exaggerated the “thousands” claim, and for that I apologize.

Rubio Backs Closing Mosques: Shutter ‘Anyplace Where Radicals Are Being Inspired’

waving flagby John Nolte20 Nov 2015

During an interview on Fox News Thursday night, Rubio told Megyn Kelly that he is open to closing “anyplace where radicals are inspired.” This includes mosques:

It’s not about closing down mosques. It’s about closing down anyplace, whether it’s a cafe, a diner, an internet site — anyplace where radicals are being inspired. The bigger problem we have is our inability to find out where these places are, because we’ve crippled our intelligence programs, both through unauthorized disclosures by a traitor, in Edward Snowden, or by some of the things this president has put in place with the support even of some from my own party to diminish our intelligence capabilities.

So whatever facility is being used — it’s not just a mosque — any facility that’s being used to radicalize and inspire attacks against the United States, should be a place that we look at.

In service to Hillary Clinton, the DC Media has intentionally taken Trump’s statement on closing American mosques completely out of context. Here’s what he actually said:

Well, I would hate it do it but it’s something that you’re going to have to strongly consider because some of the ideas and some the hatred, the absolute hatred, is coming from these areas. You know, New York City as an example. We had a group of people from what I understand that really knew what they were doing, that were really studying the situation and they’re not doing that anymore under the new mayor. And I think that’s a mistake. It’s something that many people — not just me — are considering and many people are going to do.

Here are the phony headlines that perfectly reasonable, common sense statement generated. The good news is that instead of caving to the media’s lies, Rubio is correctly following Trump’s lead. Oh, and Trump is not assuming a position that’s any different from a number of left-wing leaders in socialist Europe.

Cruz: ‘It’s offensive’ that ‘amnesty’ opponents are labeled anti-immigrant

waving flagBy Jonathan Swan – 11/10/15

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says he finds it “offensive” that people call him anti-immigrant for being a foe of “amnesty.”

“For those of us who believe that people ought to come to this country legally and that we should enforce the law, we’re tired of being told it’s anti-immigrant,” Cruz told a cheering, whistling crowd in Milwaukee, Wis., at the Republican presidential debate Tuesday night.
“It’s offensive,” Cruz said.

“The Democrats are laughing. Because if Republicans join Democrats as the party of amnesty, we will lose.”
Opponents of programs that would give people who entered the country illegally the ability to get legal status or even citizenship call such policies “amnesty.”

The Texas senator — who is surging in recent polls and is increasingly seen as a serious contender for the GOP nomination — said the media would put a different slant on the immigration debate if white-collar workers rather than poor people were pouring across the border.
“I understand that when mainstream media covers immigration it doesn’t often see it as an economic issue,” he said.
But the politics of immigration “would be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande,” Cruz added.

“Or if a bunch of people with journalism degrees were coming over and driving down the wages in the press.”

The Republican crowd cheered and laughed.
“Then we would see stories about the economic calamity that is befalling our nation,” Cruz continued.
Cruz, who is trying to rival billionaire Donald Trump for his hard-line stance on border security, suggested that no other sovereign nation would be as lax as the United States is.
“Try going illegally into another country,” Cruz said. “Try going to China, or Japan. Try going into Mexico. See what they do.’
“Every sovereign nation secures its borders,” he added.
“And it is not compassionate to say we are not going to enforce the law and we are going to drive down the wages for millions of hardworking men and women.”

Ann Coulter Letter: “The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, But They Shouldn’t Be President”

waving flagCommentary by  Ann Coulter  |

URL of the original posting site: http://humanevents.com/2015/10/28/the-meek-shall-inherit-the-earth-but-they-shouldnt-be-president/?utm_source=coulterdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, But They Shouldn't Be President

It took a billionaire living the glamorous New York City life to exhibit real Christian courage by going against every elite group in the nation, every media outlet, every well-heeled donor, to defend America from destruction by immigration.

Baptist leader Russell Moore, desperate for liberal approval, claims that Christian conservatives “must repudiate everything they believe” in order to support Donald Trump, who “incites division, with slurs against Hispanic immigrants and with protectionist jargon that preys on turning economic insecurity into ugly ‘us versus them’ identity politics.” (Please like me, New York Times!)

Moore is especially offended by Trump’s “boisterous confidence” and “waving arms” — as he put it in the Times, journal of respectable liberal opinion. (Do Baptist preachers ever wave their arms? Somebody Google that.)

How would Gen. Douglas MacArthur fare with today’s evangelical leaders? Ronald Reagan was a visibly devout Christian, but Richard Nixon wasn’t. Joe McCarthy wasn’t. MacArthur wasn’t.

Sometimes the country needs a man.

The idea that Christians are supposed to be milquetoasts is liberal propaganda. Ask the money-changers how meek Jesus was. (Not the Clintons; I mean the other money-changers.) God commanded the Israelites to go to certain cities and kill “every living thing.” As I recall, the Crusaders were a little rough around the edges.

When Trump attacks, he targets the rich and powerful. When the elites attack, they target the average American and everything he cares about.

When Trump boasts — about his wealth, his family, his intelligence — it’s funny, not mean-spirited. No one feels inferior. In fact, legions of political commentators who’ve never accomplished anything in their entire lives feel immensely superior to Trump.

No doubt, wisdom shall die with them. (Job 12:1 — one of many examples of sarcasm in the Bible, a rhetorical device bossy Christians tell us is un-Christian.)

By contrast, Trump’s personal style is denounced by the Piety Police with smug certitude, to showcase their superior moral understanding.  I’m almost sure the Bible says nothing about arm-waving, but it says quite a bit about the sort of pride that allows a person to presume to speak for God on acceptable speaking styles. God does not mandate personality types and, if He did, I doubt it would be “lisping sycophant.”

It’s not Trump who’s displaying the sin of pride here.

Christians obsessed with ostentatious shows of religiosity in public life have basically the same disease as liberals who go around being offended all the time. It’s all posturing. Trump’s a Christian. This is a Christian country. How about helping keep it that way?

Although Trump has been winning the largest percentage of evangelical voters, evangelical “insiders” like Moore hate him. A poll of “insiders” hand-picked by anti-Trump Warren Cole Smith found only 1.1 percent of evangelical leaders supporting Trump, with 37.4 percent supporting Marco Rubio — as their betters had hoped.

Smith sent the results of his survey to media outlets under the headline: “Evangelicals do NOT support Trump.”

The problem is, they do. Evidently, the flock is not as dumb or “easily led” — in the words of The Washington Post — as evangelical leaders think.

While the Russell Moores and Warren Cole Smiths urgently warn conservative Christians that Trump is a model-marrying libertine, actual evangelicals understand that this is entirely beside the point.

This is not an election about who can check off the most boxes on an evangelical lifestyle list. This is an election about saving the concept of America, the last hope for Christianity on the planet.

A country in which partial birth abortions are freely available, but children can’t hold hands and pray in school, is not a country where Christians are winning.

What difference does it make where a candidate stands on abortion or gay marriage, when a few more years of our current immigration flow will mean no Republican can ever be elected president again and nine Ruth Bader Ginsburgs will sit on the Supreme Court?

Unless Americans stop being outvoted by foreigners, Christians — as well as libertarians, neoconservatives, fiscal conservatives and moderate Democrats — have no hope of winning anything, anywhere, anytime. The last Christian country on Earth will be no more.

Evangelicals don’t need candidates to have religious ecstasies on stage. They need a man with the courage to stand up to the infectious madness pushing Third World immigration on our country.

Marco Rubio devoted his entire Senate career to pushing amnesty — but he made a point of letting the press know that he went to church on Wednesday this week, the day of the debate.

Meanwhile, Trump’s pitch to the religious right is: Yeah, I don’t go to church that much. (At least we know he’s not lying!) But he promises to build a wall, deport illegals and end anchor babies.

Evangelicals know Trump will not go on a witch hunt against some county clerk over gay marriage or sue a high school football coach for allowing his players to pray. It’s the left that has the maniacal bloodlust of totalitarians. Only Trump will oppose them — and with gusto!

What other candidate would toss out un-PC phrases like “illegal immigrant” and “anchor babies” without breaking into a sweat? No other candidate of either party agrees with Trump on immigration — and if they say they do, they’re lying.

Even after Trump rocketed to the lead with his immigration policies, the media still refuse to discuss the issue. The demand for ever-more poverty-stricken immigrants from primitive cultures has gone beyond cheap labor and has become a mass hysteria.

Half the evangelical “leadership” in America can’t comprehend anyone who is not consumed with worldly approval. Russell Moore is afraid to disagree with The New York Times from his religious community in Tennessee. Donald Trump actually is an elite, but he doesn’t care what his friends on Fifth Avenue think of him.

Some Christians want proof that a candidate has memorized Bible verses. I want a candidate who lives by this verse: “So do not be afraid of them.”

Trump Just Got Asked If He Would Team Up With Carson- His Response Is Turning Heads

waving flagPosted by Warner Todd Huston October 20, 2015

Even though they are vying for the top spot among the large field of GOP nominees, neither Donald Trump nor Dr. Ben Carson are attacking each other on the stump. In fact, both continue to have kind things to say about the other; and this week, Trump has once again noted that he could easily see a place for Carson in a Trump administration.

In the usual course of primary politics, the top two in the polls are often at each other’s throats and trying to undercut each other to gain traction. But not in the case of Donald Trump and Ben Carson. At least this far into the primary race, it has definitely not been politics as usual for Trump and Carson.

This week, Trump is once again bucking the ‘business as usual’ style of politics by insisting that he could easily see Ben Carson as his vice presidential candidate.

“We’re not as different as people think, we have a very good relationship,” Trump told CNN this week. “There is a particular different style. I have some great assets and he has some great assets. But we are both resonating, there is no question about that.”

Trump then reiterated that he and Carson like each other, and when asked if he could see Carson as his VP candidate, Trump said it is an “interesting” suggestion and that “stranger things have happened.”

But this isn’t the first time that Trump has spoken very highly of Carson and noted that he could see a place for the retired neurosurgeon in a Trump administration.

As far back as October 2, Trump was saying that he would put Carson in a Trump cabinet if he won the nomination and the ensuing general election.

But Carson has also offered his hand in friendship in the opposite direction.

On September 8, for instance, Carson himself noted he’d be open to an offer of the number two slot from Trump.

Later, on October 8, Carson echoed Trump, saying that if he were elected president, he could see himself offering Trump a spot in a Ben Carson administration.

Regardless, neither Trump nor Carson are employing the usual tactic of slamming the candidate closest to them in the polls.

TRUMP WON THE DEM’S DEBATE: With The Most Epic Tweet Of The Night

waving flagPosted on October 14, 2015

Screen Shot 2015-10-14 at 7.01.03 AMDonald Trump wins the debate even when he is isn’t in it.

While Tuesday night’s CNN political debate was intended as an opportunity for one of the Democrat Party presidential hopefuls to separate him or herself from the rest of the pack, the best line of the night came from a man who was not even in the room with the debaters nor in the same party.

In effect, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump stole the show with a perfectly-timed tweet explaining that Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Martin O’Malley, Jim Webb, and Lincoln Chafee spent their night talking about the all the free stuff they were going to give away–including ObamaCare benefits and tuition breaks for illegal immigrants–without once mentioning what they would do to make conditions better for U.S. military veterans.

So Trump tweeted: “Notice that illegal immigrants will be given ObamaCare and free college tuition but nothing has been mentioned about our VETERANS #DemDebate” It was the best line of the night by far.(Breitbart)

How Republicans Should Handle Donald Trump

waving flagBy Chries King October 8, 2015

Enjoy Him

I have a confession to make: I’ve always liked Donald Trump.  It’s one of those “guilty pleasures” I’ve been loath to admit for over 25 years.

I was introduced to the Donald back in the day when he was promoting his first, book and I thought his first name was really “Art,” as in Art-of-the-Deal Donald Trump.  He was brash, bombastic, and charismatic.  He was a teetotaler – at least at dinner parties – not because alcohol is bad for you, but because alcohol is bad for deal-making.  I was impressed with him but was unwilling admit it to any of my friends – friends who insisted on calling Trump a narcissist and an opportunist (which he was – and is).

I liked Donald Trump when he and his wife Ivana (a tall version of Zsa Zsa Gabor) were on all the covers of tabloids, newspapers, and magazines.  I liked him back when he was pro-choice and was, for all practical purposes, a liberal Democrat.  I liked him when he was going through bankruptcy and insisted he was not bankrupt.  I detest gambling, but I liked Donald Trump when he was buying land at a discount and building casinos generating astronomical profits.  I never watched The Apprentice, but I always stopped whatever I was doing to watch the TV ads promoting the show, just so I could see and hear the Donald say, “Yuh fiuhed!”

I still enjoy Donald Trump.  I enjoy his bombast and his perpetual Elvis-sneer.  I enjoy the way he comes out swinging whenever he perceives he is being attacked.  I’m gratified to see the way Mr. Trump has left the Democratic Party and has become a pro-life Republican.  He’s not a classic conservative, but he’s way more conservative than he once was, and he’s way more conservative than any modern Democrat.  His style is abrasive and cuddly all at the same time.

When I was a kid, there was a character on a popular TV show who was politically conservative, obnoxious, and insulting, and who had no filter between his brain and his mouth.  Archie Bunker said hateful things in a way that made everyone laugh.  Everyone who watched the show knew that in spite of his words and behavior, Archie Bunker deeply loved his wife, his family, and his country.

Donald Trump is Archie Bunker.  He possesses no filter between his brain and his mouth.  He loves his family, his supporters, and himself.  Those are some reasons he remains so popular in 2015.

Embrace Him

If Donald Trump were a typical politician, he would never have said half the things he’s said.  Such words would have ended the careers of other politicians.  Instead of having his campaign ended over ill-conceived words, he has become more popular.  Many of the “experts” have tried to explain why Trump remains popular.  Most of them have it wrong.

When pollsters report Donald Trump as the top preference of Republican voters, they also tend to report a liturgy of reasons for his popularity; he has high name recognition, his supporters are seeking an “outsider,” Trump supporters are unhappy and disillusioned with inside-the-Beltway politicians.  These may be valid reasons for Trump supporters to express their support in the polls.  However, this “conventional wisdom” does not accurately reflect the visceral, underlying motivation behind support for Candidate Trump.

Most people who support Donald Trump are not saying, “We love Donald Trump.”  They are saying, “We hate you, mainstream media!”  They are saying, “We hate you, establishment Republicans and inside-the-Beltway politicians and bureaucrats!”  The message Trump supporters are sending to the GOP leadership and the GOP establishment is clear: “You don’t support Trump?  Well, we…hate…you…so we do support Trump!”

The mainstream media will never try to reduce the hatred Trump supporters hold for them, nor will they try to garner their affection.  On the other hand, if the GOP does not in some substantive way reach out to Trump supporters, the Republican Party is in serious danger of losing another national election in 2016.American voters

Include Him

Donald Trump rightly perceived an increasing frustration among mainstream Americans related to illegal no more rinosimmigration.  He also perceived increasing anger among mainstream Americans directed at both major political parties in Washington, D.C.  Trump is a good businessman.  When he announced his candidacy this past summer, he talked about illegal immigration.  He recognized he was hitting a nationwide nerve, and he has not backed off.  He also is running as a political outsider.  He is opportunistic, aggressive, and smart.

In 2012, I believe that Trump mistakenly thought he had an opportunity to garner a following by becoming an Obama-birther.  In 2015, it’s clear he realized that his birther act was appealing only to a very small number of vocal but insane losers, and he has not brought up the subject again.

The GOP needs to seriously look at those issues raised by Trump that have connected him with his supporters in 2015.  Illegal immigration is a legitimate concern shared by a majority of mainstream Americans from every racial and ethnic group.  When Trump talks about crimes being committed by illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central and South America, he is addressing something that affects everyone, but especially law-abiding American Hispanics (this may be one reason that Trump is stronger with Hispanic voters than expected).

When Trump talks like an outsider – an outsider who knows how insiders think because he hires lobbyist insiders toCannot fix RINOS work for him – when he portrays himself as an outsider, he is giving voters something they want.  The majority of mainstream American voters are not simply disillusioned with inside-the-Beltway business as usual politics; they are mad – fighting mad.  Donald Trump (and Ben Carson to a lesser degree) has effectively tapped into that anger and expressed a willingness and a desire to fight.

The Grand Old Party and the other Republican candidates in the field running against Trump need to try to understand that a majority of mainstream Americans, who in the past have voted for candidates of both political parties, harbor an almost incalculable depth of rage and animosity toward the entrenched establishment of both major parties.Reality 2

Even if Trump does not become the nominee of the Republican Party, he has shown the path to victory that needs to be followed in the general election by the eventual nominee:

  1. Run a campaign that demonstrates clear opposition to illegal immigration and an uncompromising resolve to fix the problem.
  2. Run as an outsider committed to fight the dysfunction that inside-the-Beltway politics has become – including going after the judiciary.
  3. Don’t run as a Republican.  Run as a mainstream American committed to fighting for mainstream American values – while smiling the whole time.American voters

“Kill Donald Trump”: Twitter Explodes With Violent Threats

Twitter has exploded in recent days with violent threats targeting Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.

While the left often accuses the right of engaging in vitriolic rhetoric, the number of threats directed against Trump far outweighs those leveled at Hillary Clinton.

A basic Twitter search for the terms “kill Donald Trump” and “murder Donald Trump” reveal a deluge of violent remarks directed at the Republican candidate in the aftermath of last week’s debate.

In comparison, similar threats against Clinton are almost non-existent.

Although the vast majority of the threats are obviously tongue-in-cheek, some of them come across as extremely menacing.

The ones that obviously carry no significant threat would still be denounced by the left if they were made against Bernie Sanders or Hillary.

For the past year, the left has been on a crusade to draw attention to violent and bullying threats made against left-wing activists and feminists, particularly in the context of the #Gamergate scandal. In turn, the media has repeatedly portrayed conservative and anti-social justice warrior Internet users as violent and hateful.

These tweets illustrate how many on the left are just as culpable of sending intimidating messages, if not more so than those on the right.

As we reported back in 2012, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney was also on the receiving end of numerous death threats during the campaign.

Ben Carson, Donald Trump Take Stand Against Sharia As Americans Brace For Migrant Influx

by Julia Hahn20 Sep 2015Washington D.C.

URL of the original posting site: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/09/20/ben-carson-donald-trump-take-stand-sharia-americans-brace-migrant-influx

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group that advocates for the spread of Islam, is calling on Ben Carson to withdraw from the presidential election for stating that Islam is “inconsistent” with the Constitution.

“I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation,” Carson said on Sunday’s Meet The Press. Islam, Carson explained, is “inconsistent with the values of America” and the U.S. Constitution.AMEN

against AmericaPolling data indicates that Carson’s point is not without merit. According to the Pew Research Center, a majority of Muslims throughout South Asia, sub-Saharan African, the Middle East and North Africa favor “making Sharia the official law of the land.” Earlier this year, filmmaker Ami Horowitz interviewed Muslim residents of the Cedar Riverside section of Minneapolis, many of whom said that they would prefer to live under Sharia law.

One boy who was interviewed explained that he would rather live under Sharia law because it would promote safer communities: “Sharia law, it says that if you steal something, they cut off your hand,” the boy explained. “So, basically, [people] can leave their doors open. Nobody’s going to steal anything because Sharia is so tight.”

By definition, Sharia law contradicts the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the separation of church and state.

Moreover, the natural-born-citizen clause of the Constitution would bar the vast majority of adult Muslim-U.S. residents from serving as commander-in-chief, according to 2011 data from Pew Research Center. Because only about a one third of the U.S. Muslim adult population was born in the United States, 63 percent of adult U.S. Muslims would be ineligible to serve as President.

As the Harvard Law Review has documented, the original purpose of the natural born citizenship clause was clearly laid out in a letter from John Jay to George Washington, in which Jay asks:

“[W]hether it would not be wise & seasonable to provide a… strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Command in chief of the american [sic] army shall not be given to, nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen”

In essence, the Founding Fathers were worried that even a British-born diplomat might be too foreign to run the country. Carson is suggesting the same may be true of a Sharia-compliant son of Somali refugees.

Carson’s assertion, however, has received strong criticism from the Islam expansion groups. CAIR announced that it will be holding a news conference demanding Carson’s withdraw from the race. “We call on our nation’s political leaders – across the political spectrum – to repudiate these unconstitutional and un-American statements and for Mr. Carson to withdraw from the presidential race,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad.Picture1

CAIR had similarly strong words for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump because Trump refused to forcibly silence and embarrass a supporter who asked Trump how he plans to combat terrorist training camps in the United States.

The billionaire’s refusal to publically berate the blue-collar questioner John-McCain-style, “sent the message that Islamophobia is acceptable,” declared CAIR Government Affairs Manager, Robert McCaw.

This, however, is not the only issue upon which CAIR disagrees with Donald Trump. CAIR, which critics have described as a “Muslim Brotherhood front group” with a “solicitous stance toward accused terrorists, has similarly called for mass increases in the number of Muslim refugees admitted to the United States—on top of the tens of thousands of refugees the United States already admits annually. Donald Trump has argued that Muslim countries– not the United States– should be willing to take in some of the Muslim migrants.

On September 13th, the St. Louis chapter of CAIR co-sponsored a “Bring Them Here” march calling for the admission of even more Muslim migrants into the United States. The local CAIR chapter is pushing the United States to open its borders to all Muslim refugees who would like to be admitted, KMOV-TV St. Louis reports. “Organizers, in fact, say the U.S. should not even stop at ten thousand [additional refugees]. They’re pushing for St. Louis to open its doors to any and all refugees who would like to come here.”Picture2

At the same time that CAIR and other political Islam groups want to flood Western countries with Muslim migrants, they have no condemnation for the Islamist values and principles that have plunged one of the most world’s populous regions despair. “Either we let them in, or we take the statue of liberty down,” declared Faizan Syed, executive director of the St. Louis CAIR chapter told KMOV-TV.Bull

Experts warn that such a policy would allow for the admission of Islamic extremists who wish to commit acts of terror on Western soil.

Chairman of the House Counterterrorism and Intelligence Subcommittee, Rep. Peter King (R-NY)  has explained that there is, “no real way of vetting, to any extent, these refugees coming in.” King’s warning echoes that of FBI Counterterrorism Assistant Director Michael Steinbach, who earlier this year said it is impossible to do background checks on the refugees because Syria, “a failed state, does not have any infrastructure so to speak. So all the data sets, the police, the intel services, that you would normally go to and seek that information, don’t exist.”Islam is NOT

Moreover, as the explosion of ISIS recruitment in Minnesota’s little Mogadishu has demonstrated, even if Sharia-law supporting Muslims were not explicitly enrolled in terror groups prior to their entry into the United States, there is nothing preventing them from striking out violently against the Western culture they view as oppressive once they are admitted into the United States. Opponents of relocating millions of Muslims into the West worry that they will bring with them the same violence, balkanization and failed political systems that their religion created throughout the Middle East.

Not all Republican candidates, however, are opposed to CAIR’s American-Islam expansion agenda. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), for instance, has proposed policies and legislation which would add substantially to CAIRs ranks.no more rinos

Every year the United States voluntarily imports more than a quarter of a million– or 280,000– Muslim migrants (this number includes 117,423 migrants who were permanently resettled with Legal Permanent Resident status, as well as an additional 122,921 temporary Muslim workers and foreign students, and 39,932 Muslim refugee and asylees). This means that each year, the U.S. admits a number of Muslim migrants larger in size than the entire population of Des Moines, Iowa. The United States accepts at least 300 times more Muslim migrants than Mexico.

Yet Marco Rubio believes that number should be even greater.rino alert

Rubio is running on a platform of reducing labor costs for corporations and increasing diversity—or what he calls a New American Century.

Importing millions of poor migrants from failed and developing nations will enrich the country with the more diverse languages, vibrant classrooms, colorful neighborhoods, and a wider array of cultural values– allowing the United States to fulfill its exceptional potential and spread liberty and American democracy to the inhabitants from all over the world.

While mass muslim immigration has had been some negative consequences—such as an explosion of U.S. Female Genital Mutilation, an increase in homegrown terrorism, and the development of radicalized communities such as Dearborne, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota– the benefits to big businesses and job creators will be enormous.

Rubio’s plan to expand the number of Muslim migrants admitted into the nation central to his vision for a “New American Economy”.

For instance, his H-1B bill currently before Congress—known as the I-Squared bill—would substantially increase Muslim immigration by lifting green card caps for foreign students and tripling the number of foreign workers admitted on visas. One of the bill’s biggest corporate backers, Disney—has already begun using these cost-effective foreign workers on H-1b visas to replace the more expensive American workers.

Rubio’s proposals to bring about this New American Economy have been endorsed by business groups and billionaires alike such as the Chamber of Commerce, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Sheldon Adelson, Disney’s Bob Iger and one of Rubio’s top donors, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison.

It is possible, however, that Rubio’s pledge to import more Muslim migrants might create some tension with his foreign policy goals.

Polls indicate that poor migrants from developing nations might not be overly receptive to Rubio’s goal of increasing military involvement in the Middle East.Cannot fix RINOS

As the 2016 race continues to unfold, it will be interesting to see how Rubio’s campaign is hawkish foreign policy is received in Dearborne, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ann Coulter Letter: “Refugees: Another One for the “Not Our Problem” File”

Refugees: Another One for the "Not Our Problem" File

Among the benefits of Donald Trump’s proposed immigration moratorium is that we won’t have to keep importing hordes of Third World “refugees,” such as the ones currently swarming across Europe.

For decades, the United States has taken in far more refugees than the entire rest of the world combined. Nearly half of the refugees we take in are Muslim.

And it’s worked out great!

Fazliddin Kurbanov, or “Idaho man,” as he is dutifully described in the American media, was brought to the U.S. as a refugee in 2009, joining hundreds of other Uzbeks in Boise, Idaho. He came with his wife and young child, his sister and his two ailing parents. (What an economic powerhouse that family must be. Marco Rubio is right: We’re making all kinds of money off of immigrants!)

So grateful was Kurbanov to America for rescuing his entire family from “persecution” that he spent the next few years conspiring to commit jihad against us. As he cheerfully told his terrorist buddies back in Uzbekistan: “We are the closest ones to infidels. We have almost everything. What would you say if, with the help of God, we implement a martyrdom act? … There are military installations right here, targets, and vehicles are available as well.”

Kurbanov had plenty of time on his hands to plot terrorist attacks in the U.S. because he was being supported by you, taxpayer. As the Lewiston Morning Tribune (Idaho) reported: He was “struggling” to find a job — preferably something that involved either marketing or killing all the Jews.

Last month, Kurbanov was convicted of various terrorism charges, based on his possession of Tannerite, ammonium nitrate, bullets and aluminum powder, as well as his stated intention, in conversations recorded by the FBI, to bomb military bases in Idaho and Texas.

For the cherry on top, the whole welfare-dependent, Islamic terrorist-nurturing family won refugee status in America by claiming they were persecuted in Uzbekistan for being Christians.

I am 100 percent sure there will be no thought given to deporting the rest of this useless family. To the contrary, we’re probably bringing in their cousins. You wouldn’t want to separate families, would you?

A few years ago, the FBI realized we’d let in scores of Iraqi terrorists as “refugees,” including Mohanad Shareef Hammadi and Waad Ramadan Alwan — the latter of whose fingerprints were found on boxes of IEDs seized in Iraq. On FBI surveillance tapes, the men bragged about having used a sniper rifle to kill American soldiers north of Baghdad, blowing up Bradley tanks and building more than a dozen bombs for use against U.S. troops.

After being happily “resettled” into public housing in Bowling Green, Kentucky, they continued their war against America, including one specific Army captain. Soldiers who had survived an IED attack that killed four troops in Iraq were warned by the FBI that their comrades’ murderers had been relocated to America — courtesy of the U.S. government — and might be coming for them.

The Boston Marathon bombers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, had received asylum in the U.S., before launching the 2013 attacks that left four dead and thousands injured in Boston. That’s not including the three Jewish men whose throats Tamerlan slit in Waltham, Massachusetts, a few years earlier.

The entire extended Tsarnaev family got asylum based on Russia’s brutal crackdown on Chechnyan Muslims — persecution so unspeakable that various family members continued to vacation there.

Hundreds of “refugees” from Somalia and elsewhere, who have been granted fast-track U.S. citizenship because of their sworn fear of persecution in their home countries, seem to forget all about that “credible fear” as soon as the time comes to go back and engage in jihad.

To be sure, not all our beloved refugees are Muslim terrorists. Some are Hutu terrorists. A few years ago, we took in a genocidal Rwandan, Beatrice Munyenyezi, as a “refugee.”

Only after Munyenyezi was granted citizenship did we find out that, as the federal court put it, she had “personally participated in the mass killing of innocent women, men and children merely because they were called Tutsi.”

Although her American citizenship was revoked, Munyenyezi remains a legal U.S. resident, whom we are supporting in prison for the next decade. Only an immigration court can order her deportation. Which it will not.

A few other heart-warming humanitarian stories:

– Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, or “the Blind Sheik,” imprisoned for life in the U.S. for his participation in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing: Asylee.

– Ramzi Yousef, ringleader of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing: Asylee.

– Egyptian Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, who shot up the El Al ticket counter at the Los Angeles airport, killing two: Refugee.

And the list goes on …

Even the refugees who don’t specifically come here to murder Americans aren’t fleeing persecution. They’re fleeing countries with less generous welfare policies than we have in the West. Which won’t exist anymore, if we don’t turn off the spigot from the Third World.

For at least half a century, the U.S. has taken in the vast majority of the world’s refugees. Isn’t it somebody else’s turn, now?

How about Mexico take in a few “refugees”? Why not El Salvador or Honduras? Could the pope have a word with his co-religionists about the suffering in Syria? How about Vatican City? Talk about the perfect place to build some low-income housing projects!

Maybe it’s time the world gets used to life without the United States. If our current immigration policies aren’t stopped, this country will soon be nothing more than another failed Latin American state.

Speaking of which, I note that our allies, Japan and Israel, aren’t taking in any Syrian refugees. Japan is pretty far away, but Israel is even closer to Syria than Sweden is! Evidently, Japan and Israel aren’t as gung-ho about destroying themselves as our European friends are. Donald Trump’s soaring popularity suggests that America may not be ready to commit suicide yet, either.

Ann Coulter Letter: “How to Write a New York Times Op-Ed in Three Easy Steps”

waving flagAnn Coulter  |

URL of the original posting site: http://humanevents.com/2015/09/02/how-to-write-a-new-york-times-op-ed-in-three-easy-steps/?utm_source=coulterdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

How to Write a New York Times Op-Ed in Three Easy Steps

Today we’ll talk about how to write a New York Times op-ed in 45 minutes or less. We all like labor-saving tips! The main point to keep in mind is that your op-ed is not intended to elucidate, educate or amuse. These are status pieces meant to strike a pose, signaling that you are a good person. After reading your op-ed, readers should feel the warm sensation of being superior to other people — those who don’t agree with you. The idea is to be in fashion. It’s all about attitude, heavy on eye-rolling.

(1) Psychoanalyze conservatives as paranoid and insecure.

Liberals — who, to a man, have been in psychoanalysis — enjoy putting people they disagree with on the operating table and performing a vivisection, as if conservatives are some lower life form.

Thus, for example, an op-ed in this week’s Times by Arthur Goldwag was titled “Putting Donald Trump on the Couch.”

This should not be confused with Justin A. Frank’s 2004 book, “Bush on the Couch,” offering a detailed diagnosis of Bush’s alleged mental disorders.

Nor should it be confused with a column that went up on Daily Kos the day after I wrote this column, psychoanalyzing me. (I’m just glad I snubbed the guy in high school.)

Goldwag explained: “Mr. Trump’s angry certainty …”

Let’s pause right here. I am obsessed with Donald Trump. I wish I could cancel my book tour and just lie in bed watching his speeches all day long. I’m like a lovesick teenager studying Justin Bieber videos. And I’ve never seen Trump look angry.

(Goldwag continued) ” … that immigrants and other losers are destroying the country while the cultural elites that look down on him stand by and do nothing resonates strongly with the less-educated, lower-income whites who appear to be his base.”

Yes, Trump’s base are “less-educated.” This is as opposed to Democratic voters, who couldn’t figure out how to fill in a Florida ballot in 2000.

True, writing like this will expose your own gigantic paranoia at being excluded from historic WASP America. If you start obsessing over the Augusta National Golf Club (as the Times did for one solid decade), people will naturally begin to suspect that you’re resentful toward traditional American culture.

But I am not giving lessons in self-esteem here. I’m trying to help you dash off an op-ed in record time. Psychoanalysis has been liberals’ go-to move forever.

Following the 1964 presidential election, the American Psychiatric Association was forced to issue “the Goldwater rule,” prohibiting shrinks from psychoanalyzing people they’d never met, after a few thousand of them had issued their professional opinion that Barry Goldwater was nuts. (A “frightened person,” “paranoid,” “grossly psychotic” and a “megalomaniac.”)

Some Times writer probably produced an op-ed calling Calvin Coolidge “paranoid.”

It’s not very interesting, but, again, the sole purpose of your op-ed is to assure the status-anxious that they are better than other people.

(2) The perfect hack phrase is to say conservatives are “frightened of the country changing around them.”

Examples:

– “The Tea Party, to be most benign about it, is primarily white, it is witnessing a country changing around it. It feels angry, feels — the diversity.” — Katrina Vanden Heuvel, MSNBC, May 24, 2012

(You want angry? Go to an Al Sharpton rally.)

– “Old white guys (are) caught in a demographic vice, right? (They) are frankly a little nervous, right? The country is changing around them. … The country is becoming more brown, and more — younger. And the values are changing. Gay rights, women are working. I mean all of these things are happening and they are not quite sure what to do.” — Jamal Simmons, MSNBC, June 15, 2013

– “I don’t think these are organized hate groups. These are, by and large, more or less everyday citizens who are very fearful of the way the world is changing around them.” — Mark Potok, (spokesman for the country’s leading hate group, the Southern Poverty Law Center) in “Changing World Draws Racist Backlash,” The Philadelphia Tribune, June 28, 2010

I thought it was a nice gesture that Mark admitted that conservatives are not “organized hate groups.” We owe you one, Mark! You’re a super guy.

(3) Call conservatives “aggrieved” as often as possible.

Yes, this from the party of reparations, #BlackLivesMatter, comparable worth, “Lean In,” the DREAM Act and so on. If the Democratic Party were a reality TV show, it would be called “America’s Got Grievances!”

Examples:

– “‘We don’t have victories anymore,’ Mr. Trump told those deeply aggrieved Americans in June.” — Arthur Goldwag, op-ed: “Putting Donald Trump on the Couch,” The New York Times, Sept. 1, 2015

– “Mr. Bush has to win over a fair chunk of the aggrieved, frightened Trump voters.” — New York Times editorial, Aug. 26, 2015

– “You have this aggrieved conservative industry that makes their money by being aggrieved.” — John Feehery, Republican spokesman for former Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, quoted in New York Times, Jan. 15, 2015

You’re doing this not just for the $75 you’ll make for writing a Times op-ed. Dreadful hacks meet a need.

A lot of people are followers by nature. They just want to be told: Here are the politicians you admire, and here are the ones you disdain; here are the people you worship, and here are the ones you disparage; here are the TV shows you like, and here are the ones you despise.

Times writers are like personal shoppers for people too lazy to form their own opinions. Just don’t imagine that this is good writing, comedy or art. But it’s not bad for something you can dash off in about 45 minutes!

Trump and Cruz Join Forces at Anti-Iran Deal Rally

The apparent alliance between Senator Ted Cruz and businessman Donald Trump — both candidates for the High-Ground-600-LARepublican nomination for president — will be on full display soon: the two will hold an anti-Iran deal rally together. CNN reports:

Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are planning to rally together on the grounds of the Capitol to “call on members of Congress to defeat the catastrophic” Iran nuclear deal, Cruz’s campaign said Thursday.

The Texas senator said in a tweet that he was “glad that @realDonaldTrump accepted my invitation,” an invitation confirmed by event organizers.

Cruz’s announcement came a few hours after Trump announced in a speech in South Carolina that he expected to do an Iran event with Cruz, predicting it would draw a “tremendous crowd.”

Although many Republicans have distanced themselves from Trump, Cruz has done the opposite. He has defended the eccentric billionaire throughout the campaign and even praised him for his outspokenness. He’s also a big fan of Trump’s willingness to make enemies in order to speak the truth about America’s failing immigration policies.

The two men have several things in common. One of them is that both are extremely critical of the deal Obama has struck with Iran. Cruz has vowed to “shred it to pieces” on the first day he becomes president. Trump hasn’t gone that far — he says he’ll just “strictly police” it — but it’s clear that he too believes that the White House has set a dangerous precedent by doing business with Iran’s radical mullahs who, on several occasions, have said they want to “wipe Israel off the map.”

It’s great to see that although Trump and Cruz are obviously rivals for the Republican nomination, they’re willing to join forces when circumstances demand it. Although they’re often accused by the establishment of not being team players, the opposite is true: they certainly are willing to form an alliance when it’s in America’s interest. Yes, even when it doesn’t make much sense from a campaign-perspective. Other Republicans, like John “Ted Cruz is a jackass” Boehner, can learn a little something from that.

WASHINGTON – Businessman Donald Trump has told several top Republicans that he will swear off the possibility of an independent bid and commit to running his presidential campaign under the party’s banner, according to several sources. Such a move could endear Trump further to Republican voters who have remained skeptical about his allegiance to a political party he joined relatively recently. Trump had drawn sharp criticism from GOP leaders concerned that a third party bid would effectively guarantee a Democratic win in the general election.

“I know you don’t need any advice, but I’m going to give you some. You will do better in the Republican primaries if you just swear off the third party, because a lot of Republicans will never vote for someone who, like Ross Perot, will hand the election to a Democrat,” influential radio host Hugh Hewitt told Trump during an interview in early August.

“I’ve never heard it put so strongly,” Trump responded. “When you said it the way you said it, that’s very interesting, so I’ll be thinking about that.”

Michael Cohen, a top Trump aide, did not go so far as to confirm that the businessman would take the step of forsaking a run as an independent. But he did tell The Huffington Post that Trump never had “any intent” of campaigning as anything other than a Republican. “He just wanted to ensure that the establishment would treat him as fair as they would treat any of the other candidates,” Cohen said. “And I believe, right now, they are treating him fairly. It is my personal belief that the RNC is treating Mr. Trump the same as the other candidates, and he will live up to his agreement not to run as an independent.”

Trump, for his part, has long said that he was holding out the possibility of an independent run as leverage. But according to sources, he has since determined that the threat was harmful to his current chances.

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee did not return a request for comment.

A top Republican source, however, cautioned that any decision Trump will reportedly make should be considered a loose commitment at best, since he is known for his political impulsiveness. A stray insult from a fellow Republican could, theoretically, change his calculus.

“[Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger] Ailes thought he had a deal, too.  Then Trump called Megyn Kelly a bimbo, again,” noted one GOP operative, referencing the supposed truce between the network chief and Trump. Asked specifically if Trump would be making a formal announcement, Cohen replied, “Only Mr. Trump can sign that oath. And when he does, you can rest assured, he will live by it.”

During an interview with Hewitt on Wednesday after this story was published, Trump was asked about it  whether he would forgo an independent run. “It’s not something I want to do and at some point I will actually totally commit,” he said, in reference to formally running as a Republican.  “I didn’t think it was appropriate to commit during the debate,” he went on. “You know, I was a little surprised they even asked me at the debate but that was OK. But at some point, look, I want to run, I’m leading in the polls by a lot, I want to run as a Republican.  I want to get the nomination and I want to beat the Democrats.”
This story has been updated to include Trump’s comments to Hewitt on Wednesday.
