Dear CNN: Remember When DEMOCRATS Deported Kids At Gunpoint?

Do you remember this? Seems like CNN and the rest of the Media (D) doesn’t. Although CNN had just last Thursday run a documentary commemorating the anniversary of the forced deportation of a young would-be ‘Dreamer’, they fail to see that their own biases are at play.

Last month marked 17 years since little 6-year old Elian Gonzalez was taken from his family’s home in a late-night federal raid — with agents armed to the teeth — to be deported to Cuba.

It was an image seen around the world.

Deporting kids back to Cuba is different than sending them back to Mexico and South America for some reason.

Barry was soft on Castro’s regime. We had a ‘Cuban Reset’ if you will.

US law — until Obama nixed it — said that Cubans fleeing the Communist regime would be granted permanent residency status if they had ‘one foot’ on American soil.

“By taking this step, we are treating Cuban migrants the same way we treat migrants from other countries,” Obama wrote in a statement Thursday.

“The United States, a land of immigrants, has been enriched by the contributions of Cuban-Americans for more than a century,” he continued. “Since I took office, we have put the Cuban-American community at the center of our policies. With this change we will continue to welcome Cubans as we welcome immigrants from other nations, consistent with our laws.”

Did Obama just say that we are to treat all immigrants equally ‘consistent with our laws’? Somebody tell all those ‘Sanctuary City’ nuts. They probably won’t understand, though.

Elian’s Miami relatives argued if the boy went back to Cuba, he would become a brainwashed trophy for Castro in his long-running feud with the US.

As the two sides fought out the high-profile case in court, U.S. immigration officials decided to put Elian in the custody of his father, who had come to the United States to press for his son’s return.

Elian is now 23 and a solid communist. He believes in the ‘Revolution’ and is joining the Cuban army. He also blames the United States for the many Cubans that take their lives in their hands — like his mother did — to flee. But hey, it’s not like he was ‘used politically’ like he claims he would have been in the United States.

At his seventh birthday party, the guest of honor was Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Images of Elian and Castro celebrating were first shown on the island’s state-run TV and then transmitted around the world, to a public still fascinated by the case of the rafter-boy.

“I don’t profess to have any religion, but if I did my God would be Fidel Castro. He is like a ship that knew to take his crew on the right path,” Gonzalez said in an interview with Cuba’s state-run media in 2013.

Yep. That’s not brainwashing at all. Good thing that the Democrats protected this child in a terrifying way at gunpoint in the middle of the night. After all, look at the young man he’s become. He’s a staunch supporter of the ‘Revolution’ that jailed thousands of political dissidents and, between 1959 and 1987, killed somewhere in the range of 35,000 to 141,000 citizens.

Great work, Democrats.

FAKE NEWS: CNN Caught Faking Harvey Rescue Video in Pathetic Stunt

CNN has completely botched their coverage of Hurricane Harvey in a number of ways, but today’s nonsense if absolutely mind-boggling.

On Hollywood movie sets, there are folks whose sole purpose is to monitor production for so-called “continuity errors”; issues in movies where a character’s glass is suddenly full after taking several sips, or an actress’ hair style changes from shot to shot without explanation.

Unfortunately, the fictional storylines of CNN don’t receive such oversight.

Today, for example, CNN purported to show a reporter “randomly” coming across a victim of Hurricane Harvey trapped within his vehicle.  In a moment that was surely meant to draw Pulitzer votes, this reporter “heroically” intervened to save the encapsulated Texan, all while the cameras just happened to be rolling, and while he just happened to have his microphone with him.

It took only a few moments for viewers to spot the ruse. 

“CNN has been accused of staging a dramatic piece of footage where reporter Drew Griffin rescues a Texas man who drove his truck into a canal.

“Griffin said his crew were setting up a live shot when they ‘heard a sound’.

“The video then cuts to the moment when the vehicle becomes marooned in the water. After about 20 seconds, Griffin is seen running towards the vehicle. He is wearing khaki shorts and trainers.

“However, in the next clip, where Griffin is seen pulling the man out of the water, he is now wearing dark pants and boots.

“’It happens within seconds,’ said Griffin, although people pointed out that it would have taken Griffin more than a few seconds to change his clothing.

“’It wasn’t much of a desperate emergency if CNN’s Drew Griffin had time to change from a pair of shorts and sandals into a pair of long pants and boots?’ remarks the Conservative Treehouse blog.

“’CNN faked rescue video where their anchor “saved a man in a truck,”‘ claimed one tweet that got over 5,000 retweets.”

This isn’t the first bit of journalistic malfeasance by CNN in their coverage of Hurricane Harvey.

Just yesterday, CNN drew the attention of the FCC after one reporter refused to yield to a visibly upset parent who had just arrived in an evacuee shelter in Harvey’s wake.  The mother, who was attempting to find dry clothes for their shivering child, was harassed by the reporter to the point of a profane outburst that was caught live on air.  The CNN reporter stood by callously, continuing to attempt an interrogation of the victim – a move that had many condemning the fake news organization for their insensitivity and irresponsible lack of ethics.

The Most Trusted Name In News? Not a chance. You know how CNN would spin this story. Look at how they’ll exploit people in the midst of tragedy to get ratings.

You know that the race-baiters and offense-mongers at CNN would take this image and push a racist narrative and have the whole thing spiral out of control.

You know, a ‘full eclipse of the facts‘, so to speak.

*cough* Don Lemon *cough* 

Couldn’t you just imagine a breathless Jim Acosta outraged over all the looting of black people by white supremacists? Or Anderson Cooper hosting a panel consisting of Shaun King, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton shouting about ‘systemic racism’ and ‘oppression’. Maybe Wolf Blitzer would have on a former Mizzou Prof to discuss ‘bias’.

These people need to stop.

When Ben Shapiro appeared on Don Lemon’s show after the outrageous comments by Lemon the night before, Shapiro called him out on his bias: 

These folks in the Media (D) refuse to acknowledge that their bias tilts the news. 

Here at ClashDaily, you know what you’re getting — Conservative commentary of the news based on Judeo-Christian values and America’s founding documents.

The Media (D) is not objective, and they have an agenda. Which they actively push.  But they don’t disclose it and, as Shapiro so eloquently put it, hide behind a ‘patina of objectivity’.

This is why the President says that the ‘Fake News Media’ is the enemy of the American people. Guess what? He’s right.

But perhaps the greatest accomplishment of the Trump Administration is yet to come — the fall of the Fake News Media (D).

It’s already happening, folks.

The times, they are a-changin’.

And I, for one, just can’t wait!

Radical Left LITERALLY Calling for CIVIL WAR on November 4th

While the mainstream media continues to profit from the provocation they provide to the radical left, something far more sinister is brewing just below the surface.

In the week following the Battle of Charlottesville, mainstream media miscreants continuously promoted their own coverage of several upcoming rallies and protests that they were secretly hoping would erupt into violence.

With only a few scant weeks left before college football once again commands a majority of the media attention on Saturdays, CNN and others had one shot to cash in on a weekend full of conflict.  Not satisfied with simply standing by and waiting for something newsworthy to occur, CNN took it upon themselves to actively remind Americans that August 19th could be a day of rage for the radical left, constantly reiterating that they themselves would be covering rallies for the entire day.

Now the mainstream media is preparing for yet another field day of leftist violence, as violent factions from within the Antifa movement prepare for an all-out assault on Americans in November.

“Alt-left agitators are planning to stage mass riots in major cities on November 4 during which they hope to instigate a ‘civil war’ that will lead to the ‘regime change’ of the Trump administration.

“Demonstrations are planned for cities across the country, including New York City, Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“A long diatribe written by Andy Zee posted on the Revolutionary Communist Party website makes it clear that the events, which leftists hope will attract ‘millions,’ are not planned to be just ordinary protests.

“’There is a break with what have been the norms we confront, and to deal with this there must be a break with the “normal” ways people seek change from government. The normal forms of petition and protest DO NOT APPLY with Trump—even as they have been difficult enough under the normal functioning of this system,’ writes Zee.

“’Sharp agitation’ and ‘politically provocative actions’ must be employed to achieve the complete overthrow of the administration, according to Zee.” 

Some of us may not need to wait until November to witness another media-induced riot as President Trump prepares to speak in Phoenix, Arizona tonight.

The city of Phoenix is preparing for chaos this evening as the President rolls into town for a campaign-style rally.  Authorities have preemptively set up barricades to prevent mingling between Trump supporters and Antifa terrorists, but have done so with a conspicuous lack of separation.  With merely a city street to keep the radical left from tearing at the throats of the American conservatives, our money is on plenty of advertisers flocking to get a piece of the mainstream media’s primetime coverage of the chaos.

CNN and others have created the demand for coverage by fomenting the violence, effectively tricking their leftist constituents into rooting for Civil War.

Trump Gets Biker Backup as Phoenix Antifa Showdown Looms Large

The President’s rally Tuesday night in Phoenix has been the talk of the town in recent days, as the mainstream media continues to predict anarchy at the event.

Of course, this is all simply a business maneuver by the likes of CNN, who have been instigating a grand array of violent, leftist action in that past few weeks in order to entice viewers to turn on the news.  Not only has the network promoted its coverage of potential clashes between the radical left and patriots incessantly, but they have even gone so far as to advertise a list of allegedly controversial locations for Antifa and others to desecrate.

Now President Trump is back in the crosshairs of the liberal “news” network as the Commander in Chief prepares for a campaign-style rally in downtown Phoenix on Tuesday night.

In the lead-up to the event, CNN and other fakes news networks have been touting the powder-keg-like potential of Tuesday night, constantly reminding Americans of the horrific Battle of Charlottesville and, in many ways, attempting to portray tonight’s event as a sequel to that heinous tragedy. 

With television viewers soon to be inundated with football of both the college and professional variety, as well as baseball playoffs, CNN has been forced to make these sort of last ditch efforts in order to salvage what ratings they can.  Without this provocation and inciting of violence, the network would simply fade into obscurity as Americans change the channel for the season.

Given the push to create turmoil in Phoenix, some of Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters are planning to attend the rally in order to keep the peace.

And don’t worry, you’ll hear them coming.

“’Donald Trump is coming to the Phoenix Convention Center to hold a rally. There have been plans for Charlottesville sympathizers to protest. We need our bikers to show up and keep people safe,’ Bikers for Trump Arizona Cobra Chapter says in a ‘call to action’ to the group’s members — in anticipation of a possible encounter with anti-Trump protesters, who will assemble at the arena an hour before Mr. Trump steps on stage in the early evening.

“’They are supposed to start at 6:00. We think we need to be there by at least 4:00. That is when the doors open. If there are people outside waiting to get in, we don’t want anyone to harass them. Protesters have a right to protest, but they don’t have a right to threaten or intimidate. That is why we need to be there,’ the notice explained.

 “There also will be a ‘Stand for Patriotism Rally,’ outside the convention center. Organizers advise participants that ‘anti-American’ and ‘hate groups’ will be in attendance.” 

While the presence of the bikers will come as a welcome comfort for the patriots in the crowd, a great number of Antifa twerps may require assistance after soiling their pants.
The radical left has been on a steady diet of media attention after their siege of Charlottesville, armed with smartphones set to “selfie mode” and hashtags galore.  They’ve face very little opposition, thanks in no small part to the mainstream media who have pushed incessantly for protection of these social justice-obsessed attention mongers.
With bikers for Trump on-site, however, this could be the last stand for the misguided millennial miscreants.

CNN Hands Antifa Twerps a Map of 1,500 More Statues to Topple

CNNCNN has made no qualms about its love for “social justice” and the radical left, as they cling to those viewers in hope of staying financially afloat.

The mainstream media as a whole, and with CNN leading the way, has been attempting to delegitimize the President of the United States from the moment that he was inaugurated.  Their fake news tactics have been behind some of the most dastardly and damaging campaigns of hate that the modern nation has endured, as We The People continue to fall into their chasm of divisiveness.

We must realize that CNN and other mainstream media sources rely solely on advertisers purchasing time on their networks to stay afloat.  These advertisers can only have their ads seen if people stay tuned in to these outlets, meaning that entertainment is the number one priority for the networks – not journalism.

Do you know what makes for great entertainment?  Conflict.

That’s why CNN is doing everything that it can to promote the radical left’s New Civil War by giving airtime to the criminals who continue to tear down American history is cities like Durham, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia.

Now, the fake news originators, sensing the ability to create their own conflicts to report on, have published a map of 1,500 Confederate statues and memorials throughout the nation, virtually inviting the radical left to destroy them.

“The map will, no-doubt, serve as a hit-list for the frenzied Workers World Party members and others seeking the removal and destruction of Confederate statues in city after city across America.

“CNN reports, ‘Roughly 1,500 Confederate symbols still exist on public land more than 150 years after the conclusion of the Civil War.’ It explains that 718 of the Confederate symbols are ‘monuments and statutes.’

“The outlet embedded a Southern Poverty Law Center/CNN map of the U.S. in the article–a map complete with green, blue, and red dots to signify the locations of the Confederate symbols. The green dots show schools with Confederate namesakes, the blue dots show courthouses that have Confederate monuments/statues, and the red dots show ‘parks, trails, monuments, municipalities, holidays, buildings, flags’ that are maintained.” 

This ridiculously overt attempt to assist the ill-named “antifa” dimwits will surely result in more bloodshed in our nation. The volatility of the left has been assisted by the media from the inception of the 24-hour news cycle, with CNN leading the charge.  Now, as the network has turned from faux-journalism to active militant informational resource, there is no doubt about the treason they hope to incur.

CNN and their media accomplices HATE all this talk about ‘fake news’. They claim it’s anti-journalism. (Considering their ‘commitment to journalistic ethics‘ that is ‘adorable’.)

CNN has a curious pattern of ‘tech issues’ when the topic of ‘fake news’ comes up on air. Don Lemon has even been known to end interviews completely for even mentioning it.

But if CNN and the Media (D) have any intention of saving their credibility — and credibility IS their product — they must first come face-to-face with the problem.

This is a top-notch breakdown of what we mean by ‘fake news’ and why we mean it.

Will the networks ever beat their addiction to Fake News? That depends whether they can admit their problem.

Acosta Loses His Cool in WH Press Briefing Because Cameras Were Removed

For much of the past few weeks, the White House has been holding the daily media briefing off-camera with only audio recording permitted, ostensibly to counter the agenda-driven, play-for-the-cameras showboating that has been exhibited by some members of the White House media pool.

But CNN’s top White House correspondent Jim Acosta, who has a history of hamming it up at media briefings, has not been pleased with the new arrangement, and he let press secretary Sean Spicer know it on Monday, repeatedly and quite loudly, according to Business Insider.

Acosta was not called on but shouted a question anyway regarding the Republican health care bill, to which Spicer replied, “There’s no camera on, Jim.”

“Maybe we should turn the cameras on, Sean,” responded Acosta. “Why don’t we turn the cameras on? They’re in the room. The lights are on.”

Spicer moved on but Acosta repeatedly interrupted the event by shouting virtually the same question over and over again, like a child attempting to gain the attention of an adult.

“Why are the cameras off, Sean? Why did you turn them off? Can you just give us an answer to that? Can you tell us why you turned the cameras off?” repeated Acosta. “It’s a legitimate question. You are a taxpayer-funded spokesman for the United States government. Can you at least give us an explanation for why the cameras are off?”

Spicer continued to ignore Acosta and repeatedly attempted to call on another reporter, Travis Yingst of One America News Network, who seemingly took it upon himself to put an end to the haranguing of Spicer by Acosta, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

“Can we get this out of the way? Can we address the cameras issue?” Yingst asked.

“Yes, some days it will happen, some days it won’t,” replied Spicer matter-of-factly. “The president’s going to speak today in the Rose Garden, I want the president’s voice to carry the day. So, look, this is nothing inconsistent with what we’ve said since day one.”

This actually isn’t the first time that CNN’s Acosta has lost his cool regarding the increasing use of the new off-camera format for daily media briefings. He called Spicer “useless” last week, according to The Hill, and the network also sent a court sketch artist to a briefing Friday to provide a picture in place of the camera feed.

Acosta continued his temper tantrum regarding the off-camera briefings later during a report on CNN Monday, essentially lying to the anchor in that “Sean Spicer has refused to take questions from CNN for weeks now,” according to Breitbart, though he clarified a moment later that “he may have taken a question here or there, over the last couple of weeks.”

Nevertheless, he persisted, and claimed, “We’ve largely been just blackballed during these briefings,” and added, “We’re just not getting questions to the White House press secretary … That would not have happened in previous administrations.”

While this isn’t the first time Acosta has crossed the line from being an dutifully dogged reporter to an annoying peacock strutting for attention, his antics at the news conference on the heels of CNN’s embarrassing “fake news” debacle last week certainly don’t reflect well on the network. In fact, combined with Acosta’s whining remark afterward, they make CNN look like a floundering ship.

Perhaps if reporters would refrain from seeking their 15 seconds of fame or a viral YouTube clip during the daily media briefings, Spicer would have no problem keeping the cameras on every day.

But that simply hasn’t been the case, and whether there are cameras or even audio available at the daily briefing is entirely within the discretion of the White House. Acosta and the rest of the White House media pool may want to consider toning down their shenanigans and actually ask substantive questions instead of digging for “gotcha” moments on non-existent scandals every single day, as it has become truly tiresome.

Chuck Todd Is Right: It Is a War on Truth

Chuck Todd Is Right: It Is a War on TruthYesterday, NBC News anchor Chuck Todd said this: 

 I’m obsessed with the White House’s war on the press and on the media. Let’s be clear about this, that war is nothing less than a war on the truth. Do we get it right all the time? Nope, we don’t. And when we don’t, we run a correction, and in some cases, people lose their jobs. That’s what just happened at CNN. CNN took responsibility for its mistakes. 

At this network, we’ve done it quite a few times publicly as well. But because we try to get it right we take what we do seriously, because truth, viewers and readers’ trust is all we have and without that, we’re nothing. 

Todd is right that what we are talking about is a war on truth. Only he’s got it backwards. It is not Donald Trump who’s waging this war on truth but the low-information media. 

Even Todd himself admits that NBC has choked on the truth “quite a few times” and has been forced to publicly correct its errors. Thus Todd himself admits that NBC can’t be trusted. If they got it wrong then, why should we trust them now? If it turns out we shouldn’t have believed them then, why should believe what they are telling us now? 

The premiere case in point of all this is the Talking Snake Media’s obsession with the substance-free accusation that Trump somehow colluded with the Russians to steal the election from the American people. (I call them the Talking Snake Media in honor of their patron saint, the snake in the Garden of Eden who lied to Eve in order to frustrate the purposes of God.) 

There never was any evidence at all of any such collusion despite over a year’s worth of investigation. A senior producer at CNN (which I refer to as the “Counterfeit News Network”) revealed to an undercover reporter from Project Veritas that there was in fact no smoking gun, the whole thing was probably “bull****”, and that they had only been ordered to refocus on the Russia thing because it was good for ratings. 

To top it off, Van Jones, CNN’s resident communist commentator, admitted to another undercover journalist, “This Russia thing is a nothing-burger.” 

In other words, CNN is not searching for the truth, they are searching for viewers. The truth to them is utterly disposable if twisting and distorting it serves their agenda. 

Well, focusing on the fabricated Trump-Russia story is not working any more for CNN. Its ratings are in a free fall, now dropping far behind both Fox and MSNBC in prime time. 

There is a larger dynamic at work here, especially for people of faith. And that dynamic is that error and falsehood can only be propped up for so long. You can lie to people for a time, but eventually the truth will come out and the lie will be exposed for the ugly thing that it is. Abraham Lincoln was credited with saying, “You can fool all of the people some of the time, you can fool some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all of the time.” 

Satan lied to Eve and got her to believe his lie because it was, well, so believable. The fruit was, he told her, “good for food, a delight to the eyes, and desirable to make one wise” (Genesis 3:6). Eve believed the believable lie, convinced her husband to join her, and the horrible truth was revealed in an instant. 

The point here is that the fake news the media has been dishing out may sound plausible at first blush, but the façade cannot be sustained. If the media continues to traffic in patent falsehoods, eventually their entire enterprise will collapse in on itself. In an almost biblical sense, the media will fall into the pit they have dug for the others. 

That implosion seems to be happening as we speak. CNN is firing reporters for filing utterly bogus stories about Trump and Russia and is now admitting that there is no evidence to support the charge. CNN is rapidly going from the most trusted name in news to the most busted name in news. 

CNN and the rest of the media has blindly blundered on, to focus now on an equally unsupportable lie, that the president obstructed justice by doing his job and exercising his constitutional responsibilities as the head of the executive branch. 

Jesus told us that if we abide in His words, we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:32). We can spot the lies of the media in an instant by comparing what they say to what the Scriptures say. The truth of Scripture is the carpenter’s level we use to identify declarations that align with the truth, and separate them from those that don’t. 

The media is waging its war on the truth by relentlessly assaulting the truth not only about public policy matters but about abortion, marriage, the family, sexual immorality, homosexuality, abortion, and everything else under the sun. But Christian citizens are not duped. 

Todd said that without the viewers’ trust, “we’re nothing.” He’s got that right. The jig is up, the American people are on to him and his ilk, and in the end the truth will be the only thing left standing. May Mr. Todd and his colleagues enjoy a long, serene, and fact-free retirement as soon as possible.

CNN’s Van Jones calls Russia investigation a ‘big nothingburger’

After yesterday’s bombshell video showing a CNN producer saying that CNN’s Russia coverage was driven by a search for ratings, James O’Keefe and Project Veritas are back with another video. This time it shows Van Jones, a professional leftist and former Obama administration official, calling the “Russia thing” a “big nothingburger.”

Project Veritas started its video with a clip of Jones saying the story was different because America was “under attack” by Russia. This undercover video seemingly proves the notion that what CNN personalities say on the air is agenda and narrative-driven, a point that CNN’s Brian Stelter tried vigorously to deny in his daily email. Stelter called those who allege that the media pushes a narrative, not facts, “anti-journalism.”

Stelter vigorously defended his compatriots, saying that his network doesn’t push an agenda or propaganda but rather deals in facts. In addition to what Van Jones says above, The Daily Wire showed earlier on Wednesday how CNN used Elmo – yes, the lovable red monster from Sesame Street – to attack Donald Trump. In the video, Elmo, in a CNN Facebook live posted to CNN’s YouTube channel, talks about meeting poor refugee children. That’s not reporting; that’s agenda driven propaganda.

Showing that the media is presenting biased coverage is important so that Americans can choose whom and what to trust. CNN should be learning that lesson.

All those allegations of ‘fake news’ — the corruption is more egregious than even some cynics thought. It’s not about news at all; it’s all about the ratings. The Russia story has made CNN millions.

The salacious anti-Trump stories are more important than the journalistic ethics that are supposed to give them special status.

The nice cutesy little ethics that used to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, That’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business.

The CNN employee said what the rest of us have been thinking. After mentioning all the leaks that have come pouring out of Washington, he added: “If they had anything, it would have come out by now.”

This tweet suddenly got awkward:

With this video revelation, maybe the White House was right not to make it easy for them to feed their ratings and fake their stories by excluding cameras.

And maybe relegating CNN to the back row was actually BETTER than they deserved.

Get ready to drop your jaw. Former U.S. Navy SEAL, Carl Higbie, during a panel discussion, questioned the credibility of CNN’s sources.

OMG! You would think he said he likes to eat puppies for breakfast.

Watch the sh*t storm that takes place.

Higbie: You’re basing all these allegations off of one or maybe two sources. Come out and name those people…

Host: 1, we protect our sources. 2, it’s not just CNN. It’s Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, ABC, NBC.

Higbie: Who are the sources? Because they’re hiding behind this anonymity.

CNN is not the standard for professional journalism. Clearly.

So for this former SEAL to ask for verified sources seems like a legitimate request.

For all we know CNN could be pulling their ‘information’ out of their a**es… and no one would be surprised by that either.

Yes, CNN, the MSM is fake news

Poor CNN. Donald Trump hurt their little feelings again. This time it was in an advertisement touting the “success” of his first 100 days in office. CNN was offended and labeled the ad false because Trump had labeled CNN fake news. The problem is, the five journalists with “fake news” blazoned across their faces are purveyors of biased and fake news. CNN fell into the trap again.

Here’s a look at the ad.

The part CNN gets upset at is about twenty seconds in, where pictures of a variety of news personalities were shown with the words “fake news” over the pictures. CNN said, in a statement, that its network and the rest of the mainstream media are not fake news, so the ad is false and can’t air until the graphic is changed.

 

But in fact, CNN, and especially the journalists in that graphic, have peddled biased and fake news stories.

The fake five

The five journalists in the graphic were Andrea Mitchell, Wolf Blitzer, Rachel Maddow, George Stephanopoulos, and Scott Pelley. Each one of those journalists has proffered fake or misleading news stories. Here’s just a sampling:

  • Andrea Mitchell: Mitchell said that Juanita Broaddrick, the woman who has accused Bill Clinton of rape, was discredited. That assertion was so egregious that NBC had to scrub the segment it was on, without even an editors’ note, as the Washington Free Beacon explains. That’s one of many with Mitchell.
  • Wolf Blitzer: Blitzer’s producers asked the DNC which questions he should ask Donald Trump in a foreign policy interview. Wikileaks uncovered that the DNC told staffers that “CNN was looking for questions” not just for Trump but for many of the GOP primary candidates, according to the Washington Times.
  • Rachel Maddow: It’s hard to know where to start with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. So here’s the obvious. In a feat reminiscent of the opening of Al Capone’s vault, Maddow hyped that she “had Trump’s tax returns.” The only problem was they were 10 years old and showed that he paid a lot of taxes.
  • George Stephanopoulos: Stephanopoulos failed to disclose to ABC that he had donated $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation before interviewing Hillary Clinton, against company policy, the Washington Free Beacon reported. After finally disclosing, he had to step down from hosting a primary debate.
  • Scott Pelley: While the fake news troubles at CBS are legendary — think faked national guard memos from Dan Rather — Pelley has his own issues. They include bias and presenting the news with a virulent anti-Trump slant, like the time he insinuated that Trump was responsible for Syrian war atrocities like the chemical gas attack. Newsbusters reported on the story.

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have a problem. By taking umbrage at a truthful statement from Donald Trump about five known purveyors of biased journalism, CNN does itself no favors.

Is there any lingering doubt why, according to a recent poll, Americans trust Trump more than they trust the media?
