waving flagby Ben Shapiro 2 Sep 2015

The video is obviously a riff on various high-profile celebrity romances from the so-called Golden Age of Hollywood, when co-stars would routinely travel abroad to exotic locales, become lovers, and then return back to the United States with their personal baggage. Swift’s suddenly-brunette hair is a shout-out to Elizabeth Taylor, and the whole scenario reeks of Taylor’s romance with Richard Burton.

The video concludes with this line: “All of Taylor’s proceeds from this video will be donated to wild animal conservation efforts through the African Parks Foundation of America.”

This nod to environmentalism bought no sympathy from the social justice warriors, however, who have deemed the video – you guessed it – racist. Viviane Rutabingwa and James Kassaga Arinaitwe, professional useless people, wrote a piece for NPR in which they accuse Swift of bigotry for the cast’s excessive whiteness – even though the video has nothing to do with Africa or African people except as a shout-out to an Out of Africa stylistic flourish. Rutabingwa and Arinaitwe write:

We are shocked to think that in 2015, Taylor Swift, her record label and her video production group would think it was OK to film a video that presents a glamorous version of the white colonial fantasy of Africa.More Evidence

Wut?

They continue by labeling Ernest Hemingway’s Snows of Kilimanjaro and David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia romanticizations of colonialism, then add, snidely:

Here are some facts for Swift and her team: Colonialism was neither romantic nor beautiful. It was exploitative and brutal. The legacy of colonialism still lives quite loudly to this day. Scholars have argued that poor economic performance, weak property rights and tribal tensions across the continent can be traced to colonial strategies. So can other woes. In a place full of devastation and lawlessness, diseases spread like wildfire, conflict breaks out and dictators grab power.cause of death

Presumably, Swift should have shown some Boers raping native Africans in the background, or perhaps a picture of an Ebola-stricken villager dying beneath the boots of a Cecil Rhodes-looking actor. The social justice warriors conclude:

She should absolutely be able to use any location as a backdrop. But she packages our continent as the backdrop for her romantic songs devoid of any African person or storyline, and she sets the video in a time when the people depicted by Swift and her co-stars killed, dehumanized and traumatized millions of Africans. That is beyond problematic.insane

Did Elizabeth Taylor dehumanize and traumatize millions of Africans? Aside from her performance in Cleopatra, there has been no evidence to substantiate such a claim. But absence of white guilt in any context is now proof of racism. If you don’t affirmatively load your music video with critiques of South African apartheid, while filming a video that has nothing to do with apartheid, you must be upholding apartheid. If you show white people in Africa without showing those white people impoverishing black people in Africa, you’re an emissary of imperialism. Sure, it might be jarring to hear Swift singing about lost love while carrying a sign reading, “RHODESIA BLOWS.” But it’s the message that counts.

Ridiculously, the mainstream media is now taking such critiques seriously. The Daily Mail (UK) has run with the Swift story as its top headline. The Guardian ran with the story, too. So did The Wrap, The Daily Mirror, and Newsweek. Huffington Post entertainment reporter Lauren Duca wrote that the video “sure felt like some harkening back to white colonialism… Instead of the cultural appropriation that has become almost status quo in today’s pop music, Swift has opted for the bolder option of actually just embodying the political exploitation of a region and its people. It’s brave, really.”

Thus far, Swift has offered no defense. But clearly she must be made to pay for the grave sin of being a white person with a music video set in Africa. Coldplay, you’re on notice. You too, Lily Allen.

The director, Kahn, finding himself in the crosshairs of the SJWs, has now released a statement:

Wildest Dreams is a song about a relationship that was doomed, and the music video concept was that they were having a love affair on location away from their normal lives. This is not a video about colonialism but a love story on the set of a period film crew in Africa,1950….The reality is not only were there people of color in the video, but the key creatives who worked on this video are people of color. I am Asian American, the producer Jil Hardin is an African American woman, and the editor Chancler Haynes is an African American man.

Such protestations carry no weight with those who mandate popular culture narratives, however. And this controversy is merely the latest attempt by hard left culture dictators to label Swift a racist. In 2014, critics said Swift was racist for her idiotic Shake It Off video, in which she awkwardly attempts break dancing and twerking.

Just months ago, the vastly untalented Nicki Minaj complained on Twitter about the supposed racism of the Video Music Awards for not nominating her Anaconda rump-shaking routine for Video of the Year, adding a slap at Swift: “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.” Swift responded, “I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.” Minaj then denied she had referred to Swift in the first place, and her supporters called Swift racist, prompting Swift to back down.

Everything is now racist, unless it is explicitly anti-racist – even if it has nothing to do with racism. The bad news: every music video will now contain an obligatory disclaimer supporting Black Lives Matter, even music videos from Kenny G. The good news: Spike Lee just found himself a second career.

Hillary Clinton Hacked Emails For Sale

Just as email-gate looked to be winding down, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned a person claiming to be a computer specialist has come forward with the stunning news that 32,000 emails from Hillary Clinton‘s private email account are up for sale. The price tag — a whopping $500,000! Promising to give the trove of the former Secretary of State’s emails to the highest bidder, the specialist is showing subject lines as proof of what appear to be legitimate messages.

“Hillary or someone from her camp erased the outbox containing her emails, but forgot to erase the emails that were in her sent box,” an insider reveals to Radar of the Presidential contender’s latest nightmare. Radar has learned that some of the topics discussed in the email appear to include everything from Benghazi to the Algerian hostage crisis — with subject lines such as:

“H Libya security latest. Sid” (with attachment)
“H FYI, best analysis so far of hearing Sid,’ about the latest security

An Alabama pastor wrote a moving song with an important message: all lives matter. Pastor Jim Lowe of the Guiding Light Church said today on “Fox and Friends” that everyone’s life is important, and all people have a purpose in this world. “God gave us two commandments,” Lowe said. “The first one was to love him, and the second one was to love one another… All we need in this world is a lot more love and a lot more unity.”

Watch the Guiding Light Church choir perform Lowe’s song, “All Lives Matter,” in the video below.

How to Write a New York Times Op-Ed in Three Easy Steps

Today we’ll talk about how to write a New York Times op-ed in 45 minutes or less. We all like labor-saving tips! The main point to keep in mind is that your op-ed is not intended to elucidate, educate or amuse. These are status pieces meant to strike a pose, signaling that you are a good person. After reading your op-ed, readers should feel the warm sensation of being superior to other people — those who don’t agree with you. The idea is to be in fashion. It’s all about attitude, heavy on eye-rolling.

(1) Psychoanalyze conservatives as paranoid and insecure.

Liberals — who, to a man, have been in psychoanalysis — enjoy putting people they disagree with on the operating table and performing a vivisection, as if conservatives are some lower life form.

Thus, for example, an op-ed in this week’s Times by Arthur Goldwag was titled “Putting Donald Trump on the Couch.”

This should not be confused with Justin A. Frank’s 2004 book, “Bush on the Couch,” offering a detailed diagnosis of Bush’s alleged mental disorders.

Nor should it be confused with a column that went up on Daily Kos the day after I wrote this column, psychoanalyzing me. (I’m just glad I snubbed the guy in high school.)

Goldwag explained: “Mr. Trump’s angry certainty …”

Let’s pause right here. I am obsessed with Donald Trump. I wish I could cancel my book tour and just lie in bed watching his speeches all day long. I’m like a lovesick teenager studying Justin Bieber videos. And I’ve never seen Trump look angry.

(Goldwag continued) ” … that immigrants and other losers are destroying the country while the cultural elites that look down on him stand by and do nothing resonates strongly with the less-educated, lower-income whites who appear to be his base.”

Yes, Trump’s base are “less-educated.” This is as opposed to Democratic voters, who couldn’t figure out how to fill in a Florida ballot in 2000.

True, writing like this will expose your own gigantic paranoia at being excluded from historic WASP America. If you start obsessing over the Augusta National Golf Club (as the Times did for one solid decade), people will naturally begin to suspect that you’re resentful toward traditional American culture.

But I am not giving lessons in self-esteem here. I’m trying to help you dash off an op-ed in record time. Psychoanalysis has been liberals’ go-to move forever.

Following the 1964 presidential election, the American Psychiatric Association was forced to issue “the Goldwater rule,” prohibiting shrinks from psychoanalyzing people they’d never met, after a few thousand of them had issued their professional opinion that Barry Goldwater was nuts. (A “frightened person,” “paranoid,” “grossly psychotic” and a “megalomaniac.”)

Some Times writer probably produced an op-ed calling Calvin Coolidge “paranoid.”

It’s not very interesting, but, again, the sole purpose of your op-ed is to assure the status-anxious that they are better than other people.

(2) The perfect hack phrase is to say conservatives are “frightened of the country changing around them.”

Examples:

– “The Tea Party, to be most benign about it, is primarily white, it is witnessing a country changing around it. It feels angry, feels — the diversity.” — Katrina Vanden Heuvel, MSNBC, May 24, 2012

(You want angry? Go to an Al Sharpton rally.)

– “Old white guys (are) caught in a demographic vice, right? (They) are frankly a little nervous, right? The country is changing around them. … The country is becoming more brown, and more — younger. And the values are changing. Gay rights, women are working. I mean all of these things are happening and they are not quite sure what to do.” — Jamal Simmons, MSNBC, June 15, 2013

– “I don’t think these are organized hate groups. These are, by and large, more or less everyday citizens who are very fearful of the way the world is changing around them.” — Mark Potok, (spokesman for the country’s leading hate group, the Southern Poverty Law Center) in “Changing World Draws Racist Backlash,” The Philadelphia Tribune, June 28, 2010

I thought it was a nice gesture that Mark admitted that conservatives are not “organized hate groups.” We owe you one, Mark! You’re a super guy.

(3) Call conservatives “aggrieved” as often as possible.

Yes, this from the party of reparations, #BlackLivesMatter, comparable worth, “Lean In,” the DREAM Act and so on. If the Democratic Party were a reality TV show, it would be called “America’s Got Grievances!”

Examples:

– “‘We don’t have victories anymore,’ Mr. Trump told those deeply aggrieved Americans in June.” — Arthur Goldwag, op-ed: “Putting Donald Trump on the Couch,” The New York Times, Sept. 1, 2015

– “Mr. Bush has to win over a fair chunk of the aggrieved, frightened Trump voters.” — New York Times editorial, Aug. 26, 2015

– “You have this aggrieved conservative industry that makes their money by being aggrieved.” — John Feehery, Republican spokesman for former Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, quoted in New York Times, Jan. 15, 2015

You’re doing this not just for the $75 you’ll make for writing a Times op-ed. Dreadful hacks meet a need.

A lot of people are followers by nature. They just want to be told: Here are the politicians you admire, and here are the ones you disdain; here are the people you worship, and here are the ones you disparage; here are the TV shows you like, and here are the ones you despise.

Times writers are like personal shoppers for people too lazy to form their own opinions. Just don’t imagine that this is good writing, comedy or art. But it’s not bad for something you can dash off in about 45 minutes!

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. (Photo: CSU Archives/Everett Collection/Newscom)

Abortion monsterPlanned Parenthood, engulfed in a scandal following the release of two undercover videos, is the largest abortion provider in the United States. On its website, the organization compliments Margaret Sanger as one of the pro-choice movement’s “great heroes.” Sanger started the American Birth Control League in 1921; it became part of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America in 1942.

Planned Parenthood praises Sanger for “providing contraception and other health services” and “advancing access to family planning in the United States and around the world.” In addition to Planned Parenthood, Sanger also founded the Birth Control Review, a journal about contraception and population control.

Here are 13 things Sanger said during her lifetime.how many body parts

1) She proposed allowing Congress to solve “population problems” by appointing a “Parliament of Population.”

“Directors representing the various branches of science [in the Parliament would] … direct and control the population through birth rates and immigration, and direct its distribution over the country according to national needs consistent with taste, fitness and interest of the individuals.” —A Plan for Peace,” Birth Control Review, April 1932, pages 107-108

2) Sanger called the various methods of population control, including abortion, “defending the unborn against their own disabilities.” —A Plan for Peace,” Birth Control Review, April 1932, pages 107-108

3) Sanger believed that the United States should “keep the doors of immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as feebleminded, idiots, morons, Insane, syphilitic, epileptic, criminal, professional prostitutes, and others in this class barred by the immigration laws of 1924.” —A Plan for Peace,” Birth Control Review, April 1932, pages 107-108

4) Sanger advocated “a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose PP Monsterprogeny is already tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.” —A Plan for Peace,” Birth Control Review, April 1932, pages 107-108

5) People whom Sanger considered unfit, she wrote, should be sent to “farm lands and homesteads” where “they would be taught to work under competent instructors for the period of their entire lives.” —A Plan for Peace,” Birth Control Review, April 1932, pages 107-108

6) She was an advocate of a proposal called the “American Baby Code.”

“The results desired are obviously selective births,” she wrote.

According to Sanger, the code would “protect society against the propagation and increase of the unfit.” —“America Needs a Code for Babies,” March 27, 1934, Margaret Sanger Papers, Library of Congress, 128:0312B

7) While advocating for the American Baby Code, she argued that marriage licenses should provide couples with the right to only “a common household” but not parenthood. In fact, couples should have to obtain a permit to become parents:PP Monster

Article 3. A marriage license shall in itself give husband and wife only the right to a common household and not the right to parenthood.

Article 4. No woman shall have the legal right to bear a child, and no man shall have the right to become a father, without a permit for parenthood.

Article 5. Permits for parenthood shall be issued upon application by city, county, or state authorities to married couples, providing they are financially able to support the expected child, have the qualifications needed for proper rearing of the child, have no transmissible diseases, and, on the woman’s part, no PP Monstermedical indication that maternity is likely to result in death or permanent injury to health.

Article 6. No permit for parenthood shall be valid for more than one birth.

“All that sounds highly revolutionary, and it might be impossible to put the scheme into practice,” Sanger wrote. She added: “What is social planning without a quota?” —“America Needs a Code for Babies,” March 27, 1934, Margaret Sanger Papers, Library of Congress, 128:0312B

8) She believed that large families were detrimental to society.

“The most serious evil of our times is that of encouraging the bringing into the world of large families. The most immoral practice of the day is breeding too many children,” she wrote.

“The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it,” she continued. PP MonsterWoman and the New Race,” 1920, Chapter 5: The Wickedness of Creating Large Families

9) She argued that motherhood must be “efficient.”

“Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives,” Sanger wrote. Woman and the New Race,” 1920, Chapter 18: The Goal

10) Population control, she wrote, would bring about the “materials of a new race.”

“If we are to develop in America a new race with a racial soul, we must keep the birth rate within the scope of our ability to understand as well as to educate. We must not encourage reproduction beyond our capacity to assimilate our numbers so as to make the coming generation into such physically fit, mentally capable, socially alert individuals as are the ideal of a democracy,” Sanger wrote. Woman and the New Race,” 1920, Chapter 3: The Materials of the New Race

11) Sanger wrote that an excess in population must be reduced.PP Monster

“War, famine, poverty and oppression of the workers will continue while woman makes life cheap,” she wrote.

Mothers, “at whatever cost, she must emerge from her ignorance and assume her responsibility.” —Woman and the New Race,” 1920, Chapter 1: Woman’s Error and Her Debt

12) “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,” Sanger wrote. —Letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble on Dec., 10, 1939

13) In an interview with Mike Wallace in 1957, Sanger said, “I think the greatest sin in the world is bringing children into the world, that have disease from their parents, that have no chance in the world to be a human being practically.”

“Delinquents, prisoners, all sorts of things just marked when they’re born. That to me is the greatest sin—that people can—can commit,” she said.

A U.S. Marine decided that he didn’t want to stick with the traditional “No Trespassing” signs that you often see scattered around the boundary lines of people’s property.

10420087_847576345302496_8215605759636723172_n-470x636

The sign he chose instead instills a slight bit of fear in those who read it, but it also sends a powerful message on where he stands about his constitutional rights. It conveys his love for the First and Second Amendments as well as a healthy reminder that he has (probably) fought for this country.

Of course, we can only hope that the person who posted this sign is actually prepared to carry out the threat implied by the sign. If he isn’t, then it becomes as useless as one of those “Gun-Free School Zone” signs you see hanging in schools across America.

Increasingly, there is a trend across America of store owners and citizens expressing their beliefs through ordinary signs that they have turned into powerful reminders of what our country stands for.

The Second Amendment is Americans’ best hope for defending ourselves. Far too often, people simply ignore it or assume that the police will be there to protect them. It would be nice if more people would wake up to the truth that the only way to ensure your safety is to have a means to stop criminals from harming you.Hey Leftist

The average response time for police to an emergency call is between six and eight minutes. The average time to draw, aim and fire a gun is a few seconds. Which would you rather be relying on?

Used correctly, guns can save lives. It’s that simple. The Founders understood this and gave citizens the means to defend themselves — the Second Amendment.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE this sign! I salute the U.S. cropped-george-washington-regarding-2nd-amandment.jpgMarine who posted this on his property. This Marine demonstrates more about the Constitution on this one sign than Obama ever has, as a president.

Why, do you think Obama is so into “gun control” and is willing to do whatever it takes to win the battle against guns? It’s about control of guns! Because our Dictator-in-Chief knows that if EVERY veteran stood up and fought against the government, We The People would win! Guns matter. People matter.

I am reminded of a quote from Thomas Jefferson who said:

“When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”Gun Control Supporters cropped

Our time is now! We The People must stand up, fight back and let our voices be heard! We are not going to take this any more! We are not going to take the lawlessness of President Obama. We are not going to sit back and watch as this president continues with his disrespect and destruction of the U.S. Constitution. A Constitution that has withstood the test of time, battles and deaths of many Americans who fought and died to defend it! trust

Our Constitution was written over 200 years ago by our Founding Fathers to support a free nation under God!

With a 1st Amendment that states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Criminals and Dictators

And a 2nd Amendment that states:

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Maybe we should share this with Obama! Do you think if enough of us send it to him, he might get the point? And while we’re at it, let’s tell Obama, the only form of gun control we are in favor of is using both hands!

A new report by The Heritage Foundation shows that private sector wages are not reduced in right-to-work states. (Photo: James Fassinger/Reuters/Newscom)

Private sector wages are not reduced in right-to-work states as union advocates have argued, according to a new report released Tuesday by The Heritage Foundation. James Sherk, a research fellow in labor economics at The Heritage Foundation and the author of the study, cited an Economic Policy Institute paper that claimed right-to-work laws reduce wages by 3 percent.Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Sherk found the conclusions “fundamentally flawed” because the study only partially accounted for the cost of living differences across states. He said this is a problem because companies in states with higher costs of living pay their employees higher wages to account for steeper expenses.

Every state with compelled union membership and Virginia, a right-to-work state, has living costs above the national average, which is how EPI arrived to its finding that right-to-work states have lower wages. Once cost of living was accounted for in the Heritage study, Sherk said EPI’s results “disappeared” and right-to-work laws had no effect on private sector wages.

Sherk’s study did find government employees make about 5 percent less in right-to-work states, but he attributed this to government unions’ ability to affect wages by electing “political allies” who will give them “favorable contracts.”

“All of these arguments of right-to-work wages really evaporate when you look under the hood of all these studies,” Sherk said.

Though more than three-quarters of Americans believe union membership should be voluntary, 25 states still have compulsory unionization.

Vincent Vernuccio, the director of labor policy at the Mackinac Center, said at a panel hosted at The Heritage Foundation Tuesday that after Michigan passed a right-to-work law in December 2012 its unemployment rate dropped largely because company site selectors were no longer eliminating the state for its compelled union laws. He said in May 2013, Michigan added 6,000 manufacturing jobs while Illinois, a compelled union state, lost 2,000 that same month. “The right-to-work states are gaining these jobs the forced unionism states are losing,” Vernuccio argued.

Republican state Rep. Chris Kapenga of Wisconsin said he immediately saw positive impacts after his state passed a right-to-work law this past year. He said Wisconsin had the highest growth of manufacturing jobs out of any metro area in the U.S. over the past year and was ranked third in the nation by “Manpower” magazine for its “bright job outlook,” which he attributes in part to the state’s move toward a workers’ choice environment.

“Right-to-work is good for the state and I think it’s good for the nation as a whole because it gets back to the individual liberty and freedom of a person to choose if they want to associate or not,” Kapenga said.

The camps are spread throughout Islamic State-controlled areas of Iraq and Syria and are off limits in the U.S.-led international bombing campaign because of concerns about collateral damage, said officials familiar with planning and execution of the yearlong bombing campaign.

Additionally, the IS (also known as ISIS or ISIL) camps have been so successful that Islamic State leaders are considering expanding the camps to Libya and Yemen. Both states have become largely ungoverned areas in recent years.

The failure to target the training camps with U.S. and allied airstrikes is raising questions among some defense and intelligence officials about the commitment of President Obama and his senior aides to the current anti-IS strategy of degrading and ultimately destroying the terror group. “If we know the location of these camps, and the president wants to destroy ISIS, why are the camps still functioning?” one official critical of the policy asked.Obama Muslim collection

The camps are regarded by U.S. intelligence analysts as a key element in the terror group’s successes in holding and taking new territory. The main benefit of the training camps is that they are providing a continuous supply of new fighters.

IS training camps

An additional worry of intelligence analysts is that some of the foreign fighters being trained in the camps will eventually return to their home countries in Europe and North America to carry out terror attacks.culture of deceit and lies

A White House spokesman declined to comment on the failure to bomb the terror camps and referred questions to the Pentagon.

Pentagon spokesman Maj. Roger M. Cabiness declined to say why no training camps have been bombed. “I am not going to be able to go into detail about our targeting process,” he said.

Cabiness said the U.S.-led coalition has “hit ISIL [an alternative abbreviation for the Islamic State] with more than 6,000 airstrikes.”Really with logo

“The coalition has also taken out thousands of fighting positions, tanks, vehicles, bomb factories, and training camps,” he said. “We have also stuck their leadership, including most recently on Aug. 18 when a U.S. military airstrike removed Fadhil Ahmad al-Hayali, also known as Hajji Mutazz, the second in command of the terrorist group, from the battlefield.”Picture4

Efforts also are being taken to disrupt IS finances and “make it more difficult for the group to attract new foreign fighters,” Cabiness said in an email.

Air Force Col. Patrick Ryder, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command, said the coalition has conducted 19 airstrikes against training areas, the most recent on Aug. 5. The Central Command’s news release for that day, however, makes no reference to a training camp being struck in airstrikes. A July 30 release states that training areas were hit.

According to the Command’s website, a total of 6,419 airstrikes have been carried out over the past year, 3,991 in Iraq, and 2,428 Syria, indicating .3 percent of the airstrikes were carried out against training areas. “Whenever we identify ISIL moving, staging, operating or training in any number, target them and strike them,” Ryder said. “As a result, ISIL is not longer able to move freely or train openly for fear of being hit.”

As a result of the air campaign, ISIL has begun “hiding amongst civilian populations and employing terrorist weapons from entrenched, defensive hiding places,” Ryder said, adding, “regardless, the coalition can and will continue to identify, pursue and strike them relentlessly.”

According to the defense and intelligence officials, one reason the training camps have been off limits is that political leaders in the White House and Pentagon fear hitting them will cause collateral damage. Some of the camps are located near civilian facilities and there are concerns that casualties will inspire more jihadists to join the group.cause of death

However, military officials have argued that unless the training camps are knocked out, IS will continue to gain ground and recruit and train more fighters for its operations.

Disclosure that the IS training camps are effectively off limits to the bombing campaign comes as intelligence officials in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and U.S. Central Command, which is in charge of the conflict, have alleged that senior U.S. officials skewed intelligence reports indicating the U.S. strategy against IS is not working or has been less effective than officials have claimed in public.you think

The Islamic State controls large parts of Syria and Iraq and has attracted tens of thousands of jihadists in both countries and from abroad. The exact number of fighters is not known but intelligence estimates have indicated the numbers have increased over the past year.

The military campaign, known as Operation Inherent Resolve, appears to be floundering despite a yearlong campaign of airstrikes and military training programs aimed to bolstering Iraqi military forces. A review of Central Command reports on airstrikes since last year reveals that few attacks were carried out against training camps. Targets instead included Islamic State vehicles, buildings, tactical units, arms caches, fighting positions, snipers, excavators, mortar and machine gun positions, bunkers, and bomb factories.Christian Persecution

The risk-averse nature of the airstrike campaign was highlighted last month by Brig. Gen. Thomas Weidley, chief of staff for what the military calls Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve. “The coalition continues to use air power responsibly,” Weidley said July 1. “Highly precise deliveries, detailed weaponeering, in-depth target development, collateral damage mitigation, and maximized effects on Daesh, are characteristics of coalition airstrike operation in Iraq and Syria.”

Daesh is another name for the Islamic State.

“The coalition targeting process minimizes collateral damage and maximizes precise effects on Daesh,” Weidley said earlier. “Air crews are making smart decisions and applying tactical patience every day.”What did you say 06.jpg

Other coalition spokesman have indicated that targeting has been limited to reaction strikes against operational groups of IS fighters. “When Daesh terrorists expose themselves and their equipment, we will strike them,” Col. Wayne Marotto said May 27.

The military website Long War Journal published a map showing 52 IS training camps and noted that some may no longer be operating because of the U.S.-led bombing campaign.

Bill Roggio, Long War Journal managing editor, said the Islamic State’s training camps are a direct threat to the region and U.S. national security. “While the vast majority of trainees have been used to fight in local insurgencies, which should be viewed as a threat. Historically jihadist groups have selected a small number of fighters going through their camps to conduct attacks against the West. The Islamic State is most certainly following this model,” he said.against America

According the map, among the locations in Iraq and Syria where IS is operating training camps are Mosul, Raqqah, Nenewa, Kobane, Aleppo, Fallujah, and Baiji.

The group MEMRI obtained a video of an IS training camp in Nenewa Province, Iraq, dated Oct. 1, 2014.

The video shows a desert outpost with tan tents and around 100 fighters who take part in hand-to-hand combat exercises, weapons training, and religious indoctrination. Aymenn Jawad Al-Tamimi, an analyst with the Middle East Forum, in June translated details of IS training purportedly obtained from a manual produced by a pro-IS operative in Mosul named Omar Fawaz. Among those involved in ideological training for IS jihadists in Iraq is Bahraini cleric Turki Binali, who wrote an unofficial biography of IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Al-Tamimi stated in a blog post June 24.

According to a document thought to be written by Fawaz, training differs for native Iraqis and Syrians as opposed to foreign fighters, who generally are less experienced militarily than the regional trainees. The document also reveals IS plans to export military manpower abroad, including Libya.

“Sessions for the muhajireen [foreign fighters] brothers last 90 days or more, and at the highest level deal with organization, determination, and intelligence operation, including training on heavy weaponry in addition to comprehensive Sharia sessions and multiple tests,” according to a translation of the document. “Sessions for the Ansar from the people of Iraq and al-Sham range between 30 to 50 days.”

The process begins with an application form and questionnaire regarding education, skills, viewpoints, and whether their backgrounds can be verified. The training then includes physical fitness, martial arts practice, weapons training, and ideological indoctrination. After a week of training, jihadists with special abilities are selected and placed in units. The units include special forces, air defense, sniper units, a “caliphate army,” an “army of adversity,” and administrative units for those capable of using electronic devices and accounting. “The rest are distributed in fronts and camps after the end of the military camp training according to where they are needed,” the report said, noting that all graduates are tested in Sharia at the conclusion of their training.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that the Pentagon inspector general is investigating allegations that military officials doctored intelligence reports in an attempt to present more optimistic accounts of the U.S. military’s efforts in the conflict. The probe was triggered by a DIA analyst who stated that Central Command officials were improperly rewriting intelligence assessments prepared for policy makers, including President Obama.

The Daily Beast reported Wednesday that senior military and intelligence officials inappropriately pressured U.S. terrorism analysts to alter estimates of the strength of the Islamic State to portray the group as weaker.Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Central Command, on its website, stated that in the year since the Iraq operation began on Aug. 7, 2014, a total of 6,419 air strikes were carried out. Targets damaged or destroyed include 119 tanks, 340 Humvees, 510 staging areas, 3,262 buildings, 2,577 fighting positions, 196 oil infrastructure targets, and 3,680 “other” targets not further identified.

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — A county clerk who invoked “God’s authority” as she defied the U.S. Supreme Court yet again on gay marriage Tuesday refused to resign after a federal judge summoned her to explain why she should not held in contempt.

Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis turned away several gay and lesbian couples who sought marriage licenses — some for a fifth time — even though the Supreme Court turned away her last-ditch appeal the night before. “To issue a marriage license which conflicts with God’s definition of marriage, with my name affixed to the certificate, would violate my conscience. It is not a light issue for me. It is a Heaven or Hell decision,” she said through her lawyers. “I was elected by the people to serve as the County Clerk. I intend to continue to serve the people of Rowan County, but I cannot violate my conscience,” her statement said.Picture2

For David Moore and David Ermold, it was their third rejection at the courthouse. Davis, facing the couples and a packed crowd of reporters and activists, told them to leave. “We’re not leaving until we have a license,” Ermold responded. “Then you’re going to have a long day,” Davis replied.Kentucky county clerk refuses to issue same-sex marriage …

Davis then retreated into her inner office, where closed blinds sheltered her from the cameras and rival demonstrations outside.

“Praise the Lord!” her supporters shouted. “Stand your ground!”

Other activists yelled “Do your job!” They called Davis a bigot and said the government is not a theocracy. The sheriff moved everyone to the courthouse lawn, where each side tried to out-do the other with chanting, hymn-singing and sign-waving.Big Gay Hate Machine

Davis stopped issuing all marriage licenses in June after the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage across the nation.Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis listens to a customer …

Four couples — two gay, two straight — then sued to force her to fulfill her duties as an elected official despite her personal religious faith, or step aside. Other couples also sued. A federal order to issue the licenses was upheld in appellate court. Her lawyers with Liberty Counsel then asked the Supreme Court for what they called “asylum for her conscience.”

After the full court declined to intervene Monday night, removing any remaining legal ground for Davis’ position, the couples decided to try again, only to be turned away. For James Yates and Will Smith Jr., it was their fifth rejection. “It’s just too hard right now,” Yates said, choking back tears and holding hands with Smith as they rushed to their car.Picture3

Despite the delays, the couples’ lawyers asked the judge to punish her with fines, not jail.

Davis served as her mother’s deputy for 27 years before she was elected as a Democrat to succeed her in November. Davis’ own son is on the staff. As an elected official, Davis can’t be fired from her $80,000-a-year job. Impeachment would have to wait until the Legislature’s regular session next year, or a costly special session.

Davis refused to concede her religious freedom argument even after U.S. District Judge David Bunning ordered Davis and her six deputy clerks to appear at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the federal court in Ashland. Davis has said previously that four of her deputies share her beliefs, one was ambiguous and one did not have a problem with issuing licenses to same-sex couples.

Outside, activists lined up on either side of the courthouse entrance.

“At the end of the day, we have to stand before God, which has higher authority than the Supreme Court,” said Randy Smith, leading the group supporting Davis.

Ermold and Moore, together for 17 years, cried and swayed as they walked out to chants from the clerk’s supporters. “I feel sad, I feel devastated,” Ermold said. “I feel like I’ve been humiliated on such a national level, I can’t even comprehend it.”Picture5

The clerk’s husband, Joe Davis, came by to check on his wife. He said she has received death threats but remains committed to her faith and is “standing for God.” As for himself, he said he believes in the Second Amendment: “I’m an old redneck hillbilly, that’s all I’ve got to say. Don’t come knocking on my door.” He pointed to the gay rights protesters gathered on the courthouse lawn and said: “They want us to accept their beliefs and their ways. But they won’t accept our beliefs and our ways.”Gaystopo logo

Second Amendment advocates are firing away at a decision by Honolulu officials to destroy $575,000 worth of perfectly good handguns in a move one critic called the “height of anti-gun stupidity.” Some 2,300 Smith & Wesson 9 mm handguns, including at least 200 that are brand-new and in unopened boxes, were issued to the city’s police department. But with the 2,200-member force upgrading to lighter and less expensive Glock 17s, the guns were set to be permanently holstered. While it is customary throughout the country for departments to auction the guns to law-abiding citizens, including the police who once carried them, or donate them to another department, Honolulu opted to destroy them.Keys taken

“Mayor Kirk Caldwell and the Honolulu Police Department agreed that they would not allow the guns to be sold to the general public and end up on the streets of Honolulu,” Honolulu Police spokeswoman Michelle Yu told FoxNews.com. “The same goes for selling the individual gun parts that could have been used to assemble a gun.”

“These guns in the hands of lawful civilians could provide an important means of self-defense, especially for low income people who can’t afford them.”

– Alan Gottlieb, Second Amendment Foundation.

Selling the guns, with mandatory background checks to ensure they were only purchased by legal owners, could have netted the city $575,000, according to Hawaii News Now. Several police officers reportedly were interested in buying old service weapons for personal use, and the department has previously sold phased-out weapons to its staff, but this time opted to melt them down two weeks ago. Yu said no other police departments were interested in the guns.

What did you say 05.jpg

“Law enforcement in American Samoa initially expressed interest in acquiring some of the guns, but there was a change in administration and the new administration is no longer interested,” she said. “The local sheriff’s department recently replaced their guns, and other county police departments (Kauai, Maui and Hawaii) are looking to replace their Smith & Wessons in the future.”Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

A representative for Smith & Wesson declined to comment, stating that the company does not provide any information regarding their customers in law enforcement.

Despite Yu’s claims, the Hawaii state sheriffs division – which uses the same gun manufacturer – told Hawaii News Now that no offer for donation was made to them.

Hawaii’s Department of Public of Safety recently replaced its Smith & Wesson firearms with different SIG Sauer models and received a credit of more than $150,000 for trading in its old guns. But Yu no trade-in discount was available and insisted “the only remaining option was to destroy the guns so they don’t end up on the street.”

Destroying working firearms, as well as valuable taxpayer property, was “the height of anti-gun stupidity and will not stop one criminal from getting a weapon,” said Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation. “These guns in the hands of lawful civilians could provide an important means of self-defense, especially for low income people who can’t afford them,” Gottlieb said. “Or the sale of them could help pay for much needed law enforcement equipment to help keep the public safe.”

Any city the size of Honolulu could use $575,000, said Amy Hunter, spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action. “There is no reason why these firearms couldn’t be used by law enforcement or sold to law-abiding citizens, the proceeds of which could go to much-needed infrastructure, programs, training, etc,” she said.

The Hawaii Rifle Association’s President Harvey Gerwig, together with safety training non-profit Lessons in Firearms Education President Bill Richter wrote directly to Caldwell over the issue, emphasizing that “in these times of lean budgets and continual cost cutting to needed city services, to throw away a half a million dollars seems senseless.”you think

“The reason your office and HPD gave for not selling to the public seemed to be a slight on those legal gun owners who would have purchased them and who supported you during your election,” the letter continued. “You should be ashamed for suggesting that the good citizens of Hawaii cannot be trusted with buying HPD’s surplus guns for fear of them falling into criminal hands when record numbers of firearms have been bought by those same citizens for the last ten years without any such problems.”

Over the last 15 years, the number of guns registered in Hawaii increased dramatically. Data released by the Hawaii Attorney General’s Office shows that 420,409 firearms were registered from 2000 to 2014, in addition to the already existing one million firearms in a state that has an estimated population of 1.4 million.

Hawaii has one of the lowest gun death rates in the nation, which some attribute to its spike in ownership per capita, while others claim it is a result of its strict gun control laws.

Caldwell’s office declined to elaborate on Yu’s comments. The Hawaii Police Officers Union, did not respond to requests for comment.

But while the destruction of the guns generated criticism from the gun rights community, others have welcomed it. “It beats putting those (guns) back on the streets,” said Ladd Everitt, spokesman for the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. “There are so many loopholes in federal law that dangerous people often get guns legally in this country. There’s a reason that Hawaii has the lowest gun death rate in the country,” he added. “They’d rather see guns destroyed than families.”

“Disagreement is part of being a person who has choices. One of those choices is to respect others and engage in intelligent conversation about differences of opinion without becoming enemies, eventually allowing us to move forward to compromise.”

“If Americans simply choose to vote for the person who has a D or an R by their name, we will get what we deserve, which is what we have now.”

“While wisdom dictates the need for education, education does not necessarily make one wise.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Our founders did not believe that our society could thrive without this kind of moral social structure. In fact, it was our second president, John Adams, who said of our thoroughly researched and developed governing document, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Many well-meaning Americans have bought into the PC speech code, thinking that by being extra careful not to offend anyone we will achieve unity. What they fail to realize is that this is a false unity that prevents us from talking about important issues and is a Far Left strategy to paralyze us while they change our nation. People have been led to become so sensitive that fault can be found in almost anything anyone says because somewhere, somehow, someone will be offended by it.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Because if you don’t accept excuses, pretty soon people stop giving them, and they start looking for solutions. And that is a critical issue when it comes to success.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Compassion, however, should mean providing a mechanism to escape poverty rather than simply maintaining people in an impoverished state by supplying handouts. By doing this we give them an opportunity to elevate their personal situations, which eventually decreases our need to take care of them and empowers them to be able to exercise compassion toward others.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“I believe the only thing that will correct our downward trajectory is the rekindling of the enthusiasm for individual freedom and the reestablishment of the U.S. Constitution as the dominant document of governance. Unless the majority of Americans awaken from their complacency and recognize the threat to their fundamental individual liberties imposed by continued expansion of the federal government, nothing will save us from the fate of all pinnacle nations that have preceded us, those that tolerated political and moral corruption while ignoring fiscal irresponsibility.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“I had a mother who would never allow herself to be a victim no matter what happened… Never made excuses, and she never accepted an excuse from us. And if we ever came up with an excuse, she always said, “Do you have a brain?” And if the answer was yes, then she said, “Then you could have thought your way out of it.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“The best way to respond to distracting personal attacks is to practice bringing the conversation back to the issue at hand. Never fall into the trap of engaging in personal attacks while letting the topic of conversation slip into the background. Doing so allows your opponent to escape the need to explain her position.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Anyone who writes a law that cannot be easily understood by an average citizen is not worthy of leadership. The Constitution, which was written by extremely learned men, is quite easy to understand and should serve as a gold standard for the language and size of subsequent legislation that is introduced.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“When the vision of the U.S. government included guarding the rights of people but staying out of their way, America was an economic engine more powerful than anything the world had ever witnessed.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“If we are to put an end to division, people from all political persuasions will have to stop fighting one another and seek true unity, not just a consensus that benefits one party.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Saul Alinsky advised his followers to level sharp attacks against their opponents with the goal of goading them into rash counterattacks that would then discredit them. To avoid falling into this trap, those of us who are interested in civil discussion should prepare ourselves to refrain from reacting in fear or anger to those who disagree with us or even attack us.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“If most of the people in the country believe that America is generally fair and decent, it becomes more difficult for Saul Alinsky types to recruit change agents and for those on the Far Left to undermine our Constitution. Hence the constant bad-mouthing of our nation to impressionable young people, preparing them to be ripe for manipulation at the appropriate time.”
People have been led to become so sensitive that fault can be found in almost anything anyone says because somewhere, somehow, someone will be offended by it. To stop this, Americans need to recognize what is happening, speak up courageously, avoid fearful or angry responses, and ignore the barking and snarling as we put political correctness to bed forever.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“The human brain has billions of neurons and hundreds of billions of interconnections. It can process more than two million bits of information per second and can remember everything you have ever seen or heard.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Over the course of time many Americans have forgotten that “we the people” are actually at the top of the food chain as far as authority is concerned in this nation. The Republicans don’t run our nation. The Democrats don’t run our nation. We do. However, by dividing and engaging in political squabbles, we have allowed the government to grow so large and powerful that it has now become the boss, progressively taking charge of all of our lives.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“However, at the moment, I believe the more important thing that can be done with the platform I have been given is to try to convince the American populace that we are not one another’s enemies even if a (D) is by some of our names and an (R) by the names of others. Knowing that the future of my grandchildren and everyone else’s is put in jeopardy by a continuation of reckless spending, godless government, and mean-spirited attempts to silence critics leaves me with little choice but to continue to expound on the principles outlined in my prayer breakfast speech and to fight for a bright future for America.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“All citizens need to arm themselves with a basic knowledge of American history and stay abreast of current events, analyzing them with respect to history. Knowledge is power and at a time when the people are becoming increasingly impotent while the government grows larger and more powerful, it is vital that we arm ourselves with knowledge.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Margaret Mead, who said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“There have been many stories recently about the bullying epidemic that seems to be occurring in our public school system. We should not be terribly surprised by this because children emulate what they see adults doing. One does not have to look at television for very long or listen to the radio for an extended period before one sees supposedly rational and mature adults vehemently attacking one another, calling each other names and acting like third graders.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“The fact that the Republican Party in particular often seems to stand for principle, only to cave in to pressure at the last minute, has turned off a huge number of voters.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“They forbid the use of the word slavery by conservatives, the mention of Nazism by conservatives, or the mention of homosexuality in anything other than a positive context, to name a few of their rules.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“In an ideal world, both parties would desire to uphold the Constitution,”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“The only reason I can imagine that it would be a good idea for government to foster dependency in large groups of citizens is to cultivate a dependable voting bloc that will guarantee continued power as long as the entitlements are provided. The problem of course is that such a government will eventually “run out of other people’s money,” as Margaret Thatcher once famously said.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“The secular progressive movement in America has been successful in removing all vestiges of faith in God from the public square. The very fact that people hesitate to say “Merry Christmas” to strangers lets you know just how successful they have been. Why are they so determined to remove God from our lives? They recognize that if we have no higher authority to answer to than man, we become gods unto ourselves and get to determine our own behavior. In their world, “If it feels good, do it.” They can justify anything based on their ideology because in their opinion, there is no higher authority other than themselves to overrule them. They have a visceral reaction to the mention of God’s word, because it tears at the fabric of their justification system.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Political correctness has thrown a veil of silence over our important discussions. Rather than asking those with whom we disagree to clearly state their case, we set up rules of political correctness that mandate that their perspective must be the same as ours. We then demonize those with whom we disagree and as a result fail to reach any consensus that might solve our problems.”
Ben Carson, One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America’s Future
“Some feel that it is fair for those with incomes under a certain dollar amount not to pay any federal tax. They say that these people are too poor and it would be a great burden to require them to contribute to the common pot. While I appreciate their compassion, serious problems arise when a person who pays nothing has the right to vote and determine what other people are paying.”

waving flagPosted By Chuck Norris On 08/30/2015

Article printed from WND: http://www.wnd.com

URL to article: http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/obamas-6-biggest-lies-about-iran-nuke-deal

nuclear-fusion_researchPresident Obama has been campaigning for the Iran nuclear deal like he’s running for a third term. But, unfortunately, because of his naivety and lack of experience on foreign policy, he is completely wrong.

Let me highlight six Obama statements about the Iran nuclear agreement that are complete exaggerations.

ObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ART1) President Obama said, “I’ve had to make a lot of tough calls as president, but whether or not this deal is good for American security is not one of those calls. It’s not even close.”

“Not even close”?

He just said Friday, “the vast majority of experts on nuclear proliferation have endorsed this deal. The world is more or less united …”

But 200 retired generals and admirals completely disagreed as they sent a letter to Congress last week urging lawmakers to reject the Iran nuclear agreement, which they said “would threaten the national security and vital interests of the United States.”

Are we to assume that most of them are not in any respect “experts on nuclear proliferation”? And are we gullible enough to believe that the commander in chief knows more about military strategy and American security than 200 retired generals and admirals?

And what about other notable experts who disagree? As one editorial piece noted: “Michael Hayden, former CIA director; Dennis Ross, longtime Mideast negotiator; Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; David Albright, former nuclear weapons inspector and president of the Institute for Science and International Security; and Olli Heinonen, the International Atomic Energy Agency’s former deputy director general for safeguards, have all expressed reservations about the deal.”

Chuck Norris provides real solutions to our county’s problems and a way to reawaken the American dream in his best-seller, “Black Belt Patriotism.”

2) President Obama said, “Because this is such a strong deal, every nation in the world that has commented publicly – with the exception of the Israeli government – has expressed support.”

But the Wall Street Journal reported that “Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates – are just as distraught” as Israel about the Iran nuclear deal.

Mishaal al-Gergawi, managing director of the Delma Institute in Abu Dhabi and a prominent Emirati political commentator, explained: “A lot of the Gulf countries feel they are being thrown under the bus. The Gulf thought it was in a monogamous relationship with the West, and now it realizes it’s being cheated on because the U.S. was in an open relationship with it.”

Obama’s “with the exception of the Israeli government” comment is not only a ginormous snub to our greatest ally in the Middle East but an affront to the fact that Israel has been threatened repeatedly with genocide by Iranian leaders.

Jerusalem is 970 miles from Tehran, which is roughly the distance between Washington, D.C., and the islands of the Bahamas – just 50 miles off the Florida coast. If the Bahamas were a hostile state to Washington with a long history of threatening to eradicate the U.S. capital from the planet, do you think anyone in Washington would concede to give the Bahamas nuclear power?

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is absolutely right when he calls the Iran deal a grave travesty and threat for not only Israel but also a “historic mistake for the world.” He said, “The desire to sign an agreement was stronger than everything else. … Wide-ranging concessions were made in all of the areas which should have prevented Iran from getting the ability to arm itself with a nuclear weapon.”

3) The president initially said International Atomic Energy Agency, or IAEA, inspectors would be allowed to “access any suspicious location” in Iran. He then backpedaled and limited it, saying, “Inspectors will be allowed daily access to Iran’s key nuclear sites. If there is a reason for inspecting a suspicious, undeclared site anywhere in Iran, inspectors will get that access, even if Iran objects. This access can be with as little as 24 hours’ notice.”Bull

But the truth is, Obama’s “anytime, anywhere” inspections is a bunch of smoke-and-mirror sales pitches to get the American public and legislators to buy the agreement.

First, even the president confessed: “And while the process for resolving a dispute about access can take up to 24 days, once we’ve identified a site that raises suspicion, we will be watching it continuously until inspectors get in.”

However, the Wall Street Journal did an investigation into the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action released by the Obama administration and it “reveals that its terms permit Iran to hold inspectors at bay for months, likely three or more.”What did you say 04.jpg

Now, imagine what a drug dealer could do with a warning 90 days before a law-enforcement raid.

The White House noted: “Right now, Iran has nearly 20,000 centrifuges between their Natanz and Fordow facilities. But under this deal, Iran must reduce its centrifuges to 6,104 for the next ten years.”

Ten years?! That’s two-and-a-half presidential terms or cycles. And we expect the No. 1 terrorist-recruiting Islamic nation in the world to comply and not play a shell game with centrifuges over that 10-year period?

The White House again was wrong when it stated, “International inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will not only be continuously monitoring every element of Iran’s declared nuclear program, but they will also be verifying that no fissile material is covertly carted off to a secret location to build a bomb. … Basically, from the minute materials that could be used for a weapon comes out of the ground to the minute it is shipped out of the country, the IAEA will have eyes on it and anywhere Iran could try and take it.”What did you say 06.jpg

So, we are supposed to believe that, despite not being on the ground full-time, the IAEA, will be omniscient and omnipresent so as to detect any movement of any materials at any time outside the country, even though it will fight to get into the country to inspect anything in less than three months? Can you say, pipe dream?!

And if you think the preceding sounds bogus, consider that the Associated Press just discovered a “secret agreement” between the IAEA and the United Nations and reported this about the discovery: “Iran will be allowed to use its own inspectors to investigate a site it has been accused of using to develop nuclear arms, operating under a secret agreement with the U.N. agency that normally carries out such work.”

And, to add injury to insult, guess who will pay for those Iran inspectors to investigate their own nuclear facilities? You guessed: the American taxpayers have to pay more than $10 million a year.Picture2

Reuters reported, after the IAEA said it has a severe funding shortfall and would need extra monies, the U.S. mission in Vienna said in a statement: “The United States is committed to working with all (IAEA) member states to ensure the agency has the resources it needs to verify Iran’s nuclear-related commitments under the (July 14 agreement).”

The State Department echoed similar sentiment back in April: “The United States is committed to working with other IAEA member states to provide the agency the resources it needs to continue carrying out this [Joint Plan of Action]-related work.”Picture3

Imagine: Washington agreeing to force American taxpayers to pay for a rogue and terrorist-funding Islamic republic to inspect its own nuclear facilities while ignorantly hoping it doesn’t develop a nuclear bomb behind our backs. What did you say 07.jpg

We really have forgotten Sept. 11.

Write your representatives today and demand they reject the Iran nuclear agreement.

(Next week in Part 2, I will give three more examples of Obama’s misguidance and more evidence that the Iran nuclear agreement is bad news for the U.S. and world, how Iran will continue to build a nuclear bomb despite a signed agreement, and, grievous among all the fallout, even if Congress does not sign an agreement, Iran will still be rewarded with at least $50 billion and up to $150 billion additional revenue to continue to fund terrorism against Israel, the West and the U.S. And Obama agrees it is best. “It is hard to move classified documents into the non-classified system. You couldn’t move a document by mistake,” said Willes Lee, a former operations officer for the U.S. Army in Europe and former operations officer for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

State Department spokesman Alec Gerlach confirmed the two systems don’t connect. “The classified and unclassified system are separate and you cannot email between the two,” Gerlach told Fox News.

TeflonThe Clinton campaign adamantly denies any emails traversing Clinton’s homebrew server were marked classified at the time. The intelligence community inspector general says “potentially hundreds” of classified emails may be in the mix, but acknowledges at least some were not properly marked.

So if the Clinton denial is to be believed, individuals in her inner circle would have simply typed or scanned classified information into a non-classified system without regard for its contents. In this case, emails would have started in, and stayed in, the unclassified system — albeit improperly, based on the findings of the intelligence inspector general.

Like I SaidBut if it turns out emails literally jumped from the classified to the non-classified system — something the State Department claims cannot happen — it would seem to point to Clinton’s staff going to great lengths to create a work-around to do so.

A government employee doing so would commit numerous felonies, according to Bradford Higgins, who served as assistant secretary of state for resource management and chief financial officer from 2006-2009. “A violation, in addition to criminal charges and potential prosecution, would likely mean that person who committed the breach would never again be given a security clearance,” Higgins said. Picture1

The State Department has indicated it sees no evidence of this criminal scenario. Classified documents are supposed to be marked, and State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters at an Aug. 13 briefing “we have no indications” any classification markings were stripped. Clinton’s defense has been that the emails in question were later deemed classified, after they traversed her server.

But Higgins is skeptical. “Emails don’t change from unclassified to classified. The originator of the email decides the classification before it is sent out based on basic protocols, not subsequent readers,” Higgins said. “I believe it would be highly unusual for an unclassified email to later become classified.”

Regardless of how it happened, Lee faulted Clinton and her staff. “It is not as if Hillary Clinton and her staff do not know the rules and the law,” he said. “I think what it is going to come down to is very sloppy, unprofessional procedures,” said Steven Bucci, assistant to former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and deputy assistant secretary of defense who is now at The Heritage Foundation.

While government watchdogs looking into the Clinton emails say classified material was improperly sent or received, so far they have not publicly alleged that emails jumped between systems.

I. Charles McCullough, III, inspector general of the intelligence community, and Steve Linick, inspector general for the Department of State, said in a July 24 statement that of 40 emails the State Department allowed them to review in an audit, four contained intelligence community-derived information that remains classified today. But the information did not contain classified markings or dissemination controls, they said.

They said: “This information should never have been transmitted via an unclassified personal system.” McCullough said, though, that “we were informed by State FOIA officials that there are potentially hundreds of classified emails within approximately 30,000 provided by Secretary Clinton.” He reiterated that while emails they saw were not marked as such, some should have been “handled as classified, appropriately marked, and transmitted via a secured network.”

One of the emails that sparked the FBI probe was sent in April 2011 from Clinton aide Huma Abedin and covered intelligence from three agencies, Fox News first reported. Other emails that contained classified information came from diplomats with confidential material, according to the AP.

Pro-Clinton super PAC Correct the Record, which maintained Clinton’s use of personal email followed the precedent of other secretaries of state and she did not violate any laws, said in a recent statement that government agencies often classify information differently from each other and that “government agencies also are notorious for over-classifying material.”

Another security concern is Clinton attorney David Kendall’s possession of thumb drives, which he recently gave the FBI.

The State Department would not provide details on the documents given to Kendall. “Removable drives need to be approved,” Gerlach said, adding that he cannot get into specific security requirements. “Clinton and her staff may have had the ability to use thumb drives, but that would be unusual at the State Department, and it also defeats the purpose of a top secret computer, a classified printer, or what’s known as a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)”, Higgins said. A SCIF is a room or building where classified material can be reviewed, designed and built so nothing electronic can go in or out except over secured lines.

Higgins noted other differences in how classified and non-classified systems are handled. “At State, your classified hard drive sits in your safe and only comes out for occasional use and must be returned to the safe before you leave at night,” he said. “Even printing out top-secret needs a top-secret printer, which is carefully monitored.”

He added, “As I recall at State, classified computers didn’t have ports for thumb drives to download secret info.”

The security implication is clear, he said: “Everything on her server has been compromised.”Hillary Clinton Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies In God We Trust freedom combo 2

Conservatives gear up to fight leadership on their strategy to defund Planned Parenthood. (Photos: Newscom/ Tami Chappell/Tom Williams/CQ Roll)

how many body partsAs the war on Planned Parenthood heats up, so does the Republican divide on how to best go about taking away the organization’s federal funding. Leadership in both chambers of Congress signaled they’re willing to go only so far in their fight to strip the organization of its government dollars—putting them at odds with conservatives who are willing to do whatever it takes. Given past support for pro-life legislation like the 20-week abortion ban, a defund bill would likely make its way through the House unscathed. Republicans in the Senate, however, lack the 60 votes needed to pass pro-life legislation, forcing those who want to take away Planned Parenthood’s $500-million government funding to get more creative.

Here are the four ways the Senate could go about ending taxpayer funding for the group, which has come under scrutiny after the release of a series of videos that show top officials discussing the sale of body parts from aborted babies for research. Planned Parenthood has denied any wrongdoing.

1. Standalone Legislation

At the beginning of August, just before the Senate left for its summer recess, a bill to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance. The legislation had the support of 53 senators, with one pro-life senator absent from the vote. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., voted no, a move that allows him to bring the bill back for a vote this fall.

This move signals the possibility that McConnell will bring back the same legislation when Congress returns, but conservatives aren’t crazy about the idea. Even if the bill made it through the House and the Senate, President Obama would likely veto a standalone measure that defunds Planned Parenthood.

This makes any standalone vote more symbolic of the desire to defund Planned Parenthood than practical, because the measure will never be signed into law, therefore the organization would continue to receive its federal funding.

Instead, conservatives who are serious about stripping Planned Parenthood of its government funding say the initiative must be attached to a larger matter.

2. Attaching Planned Parenthood to Continuing Resolution

PP MonsterEvery year, Congress must consider a range of what’s considered “must-pass” pieces of legislation. Congress routinely attaches unrelated measures that may not be able to pass on their own to “must-pass bills” in order to pressure acceptance of those measures by Congress and the president. This is why year-end spending bills that prevent a government shutdown are often packed with unrelated measures.

Last year, the spending bill—formally known as a Continuing Resolution—passed with dozens of unrelated measures, such as banning the Obama administration from transferring detainees from Guantanamo Bay to the U.S.

Seeing as government spending runs dry on Oct. 1, conservatives see a ripe opportunity to attach a defund bill to that measure.

“It’s real simple,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, told The Daily Signal. “You pass the appropriations bill at the amount that everyone’s agreed to. Most likely it will be a CR [continuing resolution] … but you simply say the money that would have gone to Planned Parenthood, we’re going to put in these community health centers. And there’s your bill.”AMEN

Jordan was referring to the thousands of community health clinics that provide women’s health care for free or at affordable costs and are qualified to receive federal funding.

The problem with this route is that if Democrats object to the inclusion of such measure—which they’ve signaled to be the case—it could lead to a government shutdown. If Oct. 1 arrives and the president hasn’t yet signed a spending bill, all discretionary spending in the government that isn’t used to protect life or property becomes frozen. If this occurs, Congress will play the blame game. Democrats will say Republicans are prioritizing the defunding of Planned Parenthood over the funding of the entire government, while Republicans will say Democrats are prioritizing the funding of Planned Parenthood over the funding of the entire government.

In 2013, when the government shut down over the Affordable Care Act, many thought Republicans bore the brunt of the blame. Heading into the 2016 election cycle, GOP leaders appear desperate to avoid a similar situation.

House Speaker John Boehner told press he wants the multiple House investigations into Planned Parenthood to play out before stripping the group of its federal funding. McConnell said bluntly the GOP shouldn’t shut down the government over the issue. “We’ve been down this path before,” he said in August. “This is a tactic that’s been tried going back to the ’90s, frequently by Republican majorities that always have the same ending: that the focus is on the fact that the government is shut down, not on what the underlying issue that is being protested is.”no more rinos

But Jordan, who represents a group of conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus, argues that’s not the case. “No one is for a government shutdown except, it seems, Harry Reid and Barack Obama,” he said. “The clear question is, what’s more important, Mr. Obama: funding Planned Parenthood or paying our troops? What’s more important, Mr. Reid: funding an organization that’s engaged in what looks like criminal activity or funding our veterans?”

3. Attaching Planned Parenthood to Must-Pass Legislation

Abortion monsterIf conservatives are unable to cast the blame on Democrats and Obama, they have one more opportunity to attach a defund bill to must-pass legislation this fall. In October, Congress is likely to take on the Highway Trust Fund bill, which is another piece of must-pass legislation. As leader of the Senate, McConnell controls the legislative agenda of their respective chambers and gets to decide whether amendments will be allowed in certain pieces of legislation.

In July, for example, when the Senate was voting on a highway bill, McConnell blocked an early attempt to end taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood. At the same time, he attached an amendment resurrecting the controversial Export-Import Bank. Because McConnell’s in charge of procedural rules, those who disagreed with the move couldn’t do anything about it.

For this reason, conservatives would prefer attaching the defund amendment to the must-pass spending bill.

4. Reconciliation

If all other attempts fail, conservatives could invoke a little-known budget strategy at the end of the year called reconciliation. Once the GOP sets the budget for its overall spending levels each year, the Senate is allowed to make policy changes within that budget for standalone measures using reconciliation. To do so under reconciliation, they need only 51 votes instead of the typical 60 needed to pass legislation, clearing an easier path to the president’s desk.

But because this works only for standalone measures, conservatives believe that it would be an easy veto for Obama and, similar to a standalone bill, more symbolic than realistic.

In this case, there’s no risk of a government shutdown, but with less risk comes less reward.

The suspect, identified as Shannon J. Miles, had been in police custody since early Saturday, even as authorities pleaded for the public’s help in identifying the man who fatally shot the sheriff’s deputy in the back in what was described as a “cold-blooded execution.”

Miles criminal history includes charges of resisting arrest, trespassing, evading detention and disorderly conduct with a firearm, Hickman said.

The motive in the Friday shooting, which Hickman described as “senseless and cowardly,” is still unclear, but Goforth appears to have been targeted merely “because he wore a uniform,” the sheriff told reporters. “We found no other motive or indication that it was anything other than that,” said Hickman, adding that he doesn’t believe the suspect and Goforth knew each other.

Leftist monster race

Hickman said “a big gun … a handgun” was used in the shooting and ballistic tests on a weapon that was recovered matched the one used to kill Goforth.

Residents near the scene of the shooting as well as the tracking of a vehicle used by Miles helped lead investigators to the suspect.

“Our deputies returned to the streets … to hold a delicate peace that was shattered last evening,” Hickman said.

Earlier Saturday, Sgt. William Kennard of the Texas Department of Public Safety said a man “believed to be the alleged gunman” was in custody and being questioned, though he hadn’t been charged. The sheriff said surveillance video shows people drove up to the Chevron station while the shooting was happening, and he asked them to come forward. “This is the kind of thing that drives you right down to your soul,” Hickman said. “It strikes at the heart of who we are as peace officers. …This was just a cold-blooded execution.”His Life Matters

‘Execution-style’ killing

The suspect shot Goforth, 47, while the deputy was filling up his patrol car at the station just after 8:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. ET), Hickman said. “Deputy Goforth was refueling his vehicle and returning to his car from inside the convenience store when, unprovoked, a man walked up behind him and literally shot him to death,” he said. Goforth was shot multiple times from behind and then fell to the ground, where the suspect shot the deputy multiple times again, said Deputy Thomas Gilliland, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.the facts

Goforth, a 10-year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, died at the scene in what appeared to be “an unprovoked, execution-style killing,” Hickman said. “I have been in law enforcement (for) 45 years,” the sheriff said. “I don’t recall another incident this cold-blooded and cowardly.”Race Baiters 10

‘Absolute madness’

Investigators believed Hickman was targeted because of his uniform. Hickman said the motive appears to be “absolute madness.”

At a new conference before the arrest was announced, Hickman and Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson talked about the nationwide debate over the relationship between the police officers and the public, with the sheriff referring to what he called “dangerous national rhetoric.”Political-Cross-600-LA

Anderson said, “It is time for the silent majority in this country to support law enforcement. There are a few bad apples in every profession. That does not mean there should be open warfare declared on law enforcement.”

When the rhetoric ramps up to the point where calculated, cold-blooded assassination of police officers happen, this rhetoric has gotten out of control,” Hickman said. “We’ve heard ‘Black Lives Matter,’ ‘All lives matter.’ Well, cops’ lives matter too. So why don’t we just drop the qualifier, and just say ‘Lives Matter,’ and take that to the bank.”

After announcing the arrest, Hickman said investigators were still trying to determine a motive. “The general climate of the that kind of rhetoric can be influential on people that do thing like that,” he said.

On the sheriff’s department Twitter page, a post Saturday afternoon read: “#BlueLivesMatter. #BlackLivesMatter. All #LivesMatter.”

Race Baiters 09The gunman, who was captured on the surveillance footage, drove away after the shooting in a red Ford Ranger, authorities said. Authorities said some bystanders called 911 to report the shooting.

About 30 minutes before the shooting, Goforth had investigated an accident, but authorities said it’s unclear whether there was a connection to the attack. As far as authorities know, Hickman said, the only reason Goforth was a target “was because he was wearing a uniform.”

A husband and father

Goforth leaves behind a wife and two children, ages 5 and 12.

“Our hearts go out to them,” Hickman said, asking the community to remember his family in prayer. “In times like these, it’s important to ask for the prayers from this community,” he said. “It strikes us in the heart to simply be a target because you wear a badge.”

A Houston-based nonprofit that supports the children and spouses of officers and firefighters who die on duty, said the group will give $20,000 to Goforth’s family.

After the first news conference about the shooting, held late Friday night, Hickman led a group of law enforcement officials in prayer.

Anderson called the killing “horrifying.”

“It’s an act of cowardice and brutality the likes of which I’ve never seen before,” she said.Race Baiters 04

Including the attack Friday, 23 law enforcement officers have been shot to death so far this year nationwide, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.

Traffic incidents are the leading cause of officer fatalities in the U.S., followed by shootings.

EPA Monster

Thirteen states led by North Dakota asked Erickson to suspend guidelines that they say are unnecessary and infringe on state sovereignty. The federal government says the new rule clarifies ambiguity in the law and actually makes it easier for the states to manage some waterways. It wasn’t immediately clear if the injunction applied to states other than the 13 led by North Dakota.”

The other states involved in the lawsuit are Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, South Dakota and Wyoming.

State officials in North Dakota said the new rule will cost the state millions of dollars and take away from more important programs. State Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said there’s “confusion and anxiety” among farmers and other landowners over the initiative.

North Dakota congressman Kevin Cramer called the judge’s ruling a “victory:” “North Dakota landowners and energy workers and their peers around the country will be temporarily spared the devastating consequences of an onerous rule. This is appropriate, given the judicial history of this issue and its impact on states and property rights. The injunction provides time for Congress to continue working toward a fix and for a complete judicial review of the legal merits of the rule.”

At the very least, state officials argued, more time was needed to study the rule, which was finalized on May 27.

The government lawyers said during a hearing in Fargo last week that North Dakota’s objection wrongly assumes some bodies of water will be affected. They also argued the state is already going through some of the permitting procedures they’re complaining about.

North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem — along with attorneys general and officials from 30 other states — sent a letter last month to the EPA and the Army Corps asking that the law be postponed at least nine months. Lawyers for the states say they heard nothing back from the government, so they filed a request for a preliminary injunction.

The federal government said the request for an injunction was better suited to be heard by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rather than a federal judge, but Erickson rejected that notion.

“The Waters of the United States rule is unlawful and an abuse of executive power,” said Julia Slingsby, press secretary of the Natural Resources committee in a statement to Fox News. “The judge’s decision to block the rule— which was challenged by 13 states – is encouraging, especially as EPA’s credibility has been questioned in the past month. The EPA needs to be stopped before it does more harm to our nation’s precious water resources.”

Today, the Center for Medical Progress released the full, uncut video of the conversation between undercover investigators form CMP and top officials with StemExpress, which buys aborted babies and their body parts from Planned Parenthood. The full footage is of a shorter video that summarized the meetings earlier this week.

The release of the full, unedited video also comes one day after Planned Parenthood released a new report claiming the eight videos released exposing it were “altered.” The abortion giant says the videos were manipulated and therefore not eligible for serious inquiry by Congress, which has launched two joint investigations of the abortion corporation. Still, Planned Parenthood’s own paid for experts admitted that there was no evidence of any manipulation of the audio in any of the eight shocking videos.

The full two-hour-long video appears below:

full

While the videos have focused on the Planned Parenthood abortion business, the biotech firm StemExpress, which buys and resells aborted baby body parts from the abortion giant, has filed a lawsuit seeking to block some information the Center for Medical Progress obtained in its three year undercover operation. Just a short time after a judge issued a ruling that the biotech firm StemExpress can’t block the Center for Medical Progress from releasing videos, it put together a preview of its latest installment.

StemExpress is a for-profit biotech supply company that has been partnered with Planned Parenthood clinics across the country to purchase human fetal parts since its founding in 2010. StemExpress’ Medical Director, Dr. Ronald Berman, is an abortion doctor for Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in California.how many body parts

PP MonsterIn the video, Cate Dyer, the CEO of StemExpress, is shown in a lunch meeting with undercover operatives posing as representatives of a biotech firm. Dyer is laughing about how StemExpress purchases fully intact aborted babies from Planned Parenthood. She laughs about how shippers of the aborted babies would give a warning to lab workers to expect such a baby.

“Oh yeah, if you have intact cases — which we’ve done a lot — we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety,” she says.

“Tell the lab its coming,” she laughs about the intact unborn babies. “You know, open the box and go ‘Oh my God,’” Dyer adds.

The eighth video in the ongoing controversy over Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetal body parts shows the CEO of StemExpress, a major buyer of fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood, admitting the company gets “a lot” of intact fetuses, suggesting “another 50 livers a week” would not be enough, and agreeing abortion clinics should profit from the sale.

In the video, actors posing as another human biologics company meet with StemExpress CEO Cate Dyer, plus Vice President of Corporate Development and Legal Affairs Kevin Cooksy, and Procurement Manager Megan Barr. StemExpress and the actors are discussing a potential partnership to supply extra fetal body parts to each other.

“So many physicians are like, ‘Oh I can totally procure tissue,’ and they can’t,” expresses Dyer, seeming to indicate that abortion doctors must do the procedure in a special way to obtain useable fetal parts. Federal law requires that no alteration in the timing or method of abortion be done for the purposes of fetal tissue collection (42 U.S.C. 289g-1).

“What about intact specimens?” asks one of the actors. “Oh yeah, I mean if you have intact cases, which we’ve done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety,” replies Dyer. “Case” is the clinical term for an abortion procedure. An “intact case” refers to an intact abortion with a whole fetus. “The entire case?” asks an actor. “Yeah, yeah,” says Dyer. “The procurement for us, I mean it can go really sideways, depending on the facility, and then our samples are destroyed,” she explains past botched fetal dissections, “so we started bringing them back even to manage it from a procurement expert standpoint.”What did you say 05.jpg

Feticidal chemicals like digoxin cannot be used to kill the fetus in a tissue procurement case, so a fetus delivered intact for organ harvesting is likely to be a born-alive infant.

“What would make your lab happy?” asks one of the actors. “Another 50 livers a week,” says Dyer. “We’re working with almost like triple digit number clinics,” Dyer explains, “and we still need more.” She later notes, “Planned Parenthood has volume, because they are a volume institution.”

Dyer also agrees that payments to abortion clinics for fetal body parts should be financially beneficial to them.

“Do you feel like there are clinics out there that have been burned, that feel like they’re doing all this work for research and it hasn’t been profitable for them?” she asks. “I haven’t seen that.” StemExpress publishes a flyer for Planned Parenthood clinics that promises “Financial Profits” and “fiscal rewards” for clinics that supply aborted fetal tissue. It is endorsed by Planned Parenthood Mar Monte Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dorothy Furgerson.Hate Merchants

The sale or purchase of human fetal tissue is a federal felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000 (42 U.S.C. 289g-2). The Sacramento Business Journal reported in June that StemExpress has an annual revenue of $4.5 million.

David Daleiden, the head of CMP, commented on the newest video in a statement to LifeNews.

“StemExpress is the ‘weakest link’ that unravels Planned Parenthood’s baby parts chain–they readily admit the profit-motive that Planned Parenthood and their proxies have in supplying aborted baby parts,” he said. “Congress and law enforcement should immediately seize all fetal tissue files from StemExpress and all communications and contracts with Planned Parenthood. The evidence that Planned Parenthood profits from the sale of aborted baby parts is now overwhelming, and not one more dime of taxpayer money should go to their corrupt and fraudulent criminal enterprise.”

After the swarm of negative publicity surrounding Planned Parenthood selling aborted babies and their body parts, StemExpress was forced to cut ties with the abortion company.

Meanwhile, two committees in the House of Representatives have already launched investigations of Planned Parenthood. One committee is looking into whether or not the abortion business is breaking federal law by altering abortion procedures to better obtain aborted baby body parts for sale. Another committee, among other things, is investigating the Obama administration and whether there is any connection between it and the abortion giant.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform wants to know if the Obama administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services, provided any federal grants to Planned Parenthood that ultimately went to pay for the sales of aborted baby body parts and if they were used by Planned Parenthood to “support transactions involving fetal tissue.”

The expose’ videos catching Planned Parenthood officials selling the body parts of aborted babies have shocked the nation. Here is a list of all eight:

 • In the first video: Dr. Deborah Nucatola of Planned Parenthood commented on baby-crushing: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
 • In the second video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Mary Gatter joked, “I want a Lamborghini” as she negotiated the best price for baby parts.
 • In the third video: Holly O’Donnell, a former Stem Express employee who worked inside a Planned Parenthood clinic, detailed first-hand the unspeakable atrocities and how she fainted in horror over handling baby legs.
 • In the fourth video: Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Savita Ginde stated, “We don’t want to do just a flat-fee (per baby) of like, $200. A per-item thing works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” She also laughed while looking at a plate of fetal kidneys that were “good to go.”
 • In the fifth video: Melissa Farrell of Planned Parenthood-Gulf Coast in Houston boasted of Planned Parenthood’s skill in obtaining “intact fetal cadavers” and how her “research” department “contributes so much to the bottom line of our organization here, you know we’re one of the largest affiliates, our Research Department is the largest in the United States.”
 • In the sixth video: Holly O’Donnell described technicians taking fetal parts without patient consent: “There were times when they would just take what they wanted. And these mothers don’t know. And there’s no way they would know.”
 • In the seventh and perhaps most disturbing video: Holly O’Donnell described the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘You want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

So far, 12 states have responded to the Planned Parenthood videos and launched investigations into their abortion and organ harvesting business including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, KansasMissouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. The district attorney in Houston Texas is also investigating after the Houston-based Planned Parenthood abortion facility was caught selling aborted babies.

Congress has expanded its investigation into the Planned Parenthood abortion business and five states have revoked taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood’s abortion business, including Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire and Louisiana and Iowa’s governor has ordered a review of Planned Parenthood funding.

The full, unedited videos have confirmed that revelations that some aborted baby remains sold by Planned Parenthood go to biotech companies for the purpose of creating “humanized” mice. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood has been exposed as having sold body parts from aborted babies for as much as 15 years.

The federal law that technically prohibits the sale of aborted babies and their body parts was written by a pro-abortion Congressman decades ago and essentially spells out a process by which sellers of aborted baby body parts can meet certain criteria that allows the sales to be legal. That’s why a Colorado congressman has introduced legislation to totally ban the sales of aborted baby body parts.

You can rightly complain about the things which go on inside the White House, the State Department, the Justice Department or the EPA and all of the headline grabbing controversies which erupt from them. None of them, however, may be up to nearly as much mischief as the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) though it doesn’t seem to catch the attention of the media nearly as much. This week they were at it again and while a bit on the wonky side, a new wrinkle in the rules could spell big trouble for America’s employers and many, many workers.Tyranney Alert

The decision in question came in the case of waste management firm Browning-Ferris. The board has found that they can be held liable for the actions and policies of subcontractors providing services to them and even be forced to negotiate with the big labor unions on behalf of those workers, treating them as a “joint employer” of the subcontracted or franchise employees.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on Thursday handed down one of its biggest decisions of President Obama’s tenure, ruling that companies can be held responsible for labor violations committed by their contractors.

While the ruling from the independent agency specifically deals with the waste management firm Browning-Ferris, the so-called “joint employer” decision could have broad repercussions for the business world, particularly for franchise companies.

Opponents of the action warn the ruling could hurt businesses as diverse as restaurants, retailers, manufacturers and construction firms, as well as hotels, cleaning services and staffing agencies.

There are two different, primary areas of concern here, both of which will be hit hard by this ruling. One is the ubiquitous presence of subcontracting companies and temporary personnel agencies who provide direct support to employers by taking on specific, often short term tasks or providing workers on a temporary basis to fill specific talent requirements. These show up in almost every industry you’d care to name. A second class of businesses which will fall under this are companies which engage franchise owners to carry their brand, but who operate largely as their own independent outlets. (The biggest example is McDonald’s, which actually owns and operates less than 20 percent of the restaurants you see. The rest are all franchises.) In each case, the direct employer of the workers is held responsible for their own policies and any negotiations with their workers.

But under this new definition of “joint employer” the main corporation using the services of these subcontractors or leasing out franchise rights can be forced into union negotiations (and sued) relating to the employees of other companies and for things which take place totally outside of their control. As Daniel Fischer at Forbes points out, this could spell the end of the line for many employers.

In so doing, the board’s Democratic majority reversed several decades of practice where companies had to exercise “direct and immediate” control over workers with a new regime in which regulators will examine each case for signs a company has the potential to affect pay and working conditions. It will have a large impact on how franchisers like McDonald’s do business, since they can potentially be held liable for hiring and firing decisions by any of their thousands of individual franchisees and even routine business decisions will be examined in light of how they affect union organizing efforts.

“If this goes into effect then the franchiser has to step in and have a standard for hiring, human resources, payroll, everything,” said Jania Bailey, a board member of the International Franchising Association and chief executive of FranNet, a consulting firm that matches franchisees and franchisors. “It basically nullifies this independent business model.”

This is a pretty clever move by the NLRB. If their goal is to get the fingers of the big labor unions into every nook and cranny of business, there isn’t a much better way to do it. Now, under this new standard, if an employer is judged as having “the potential” to affect wages and working conditions at a franchise outlet or staffing agency, they can be held liable and immediately be forced into negotiations with the Teamsters or whoever else has their thumb on the scale for that type of operation. So how will the larger employers respond? Probably by cutting ties with those companies. Why take the risk if the benefits of bringing in such help are outweighed by the potential union hassles?

This could wind up costing God only knows how many jobs. Of course, that doesn’t seem to be a priority for the NLRB, so it’s all good I suppose.

A public interest law firm is threatening to bring lawsuits against more than 100 counties across the United States that appear to have more registered voters than living residents.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), a law firm dedicated to election integrity based in Indiana, recently sent statutory notice letters to election officials in 141 counties putting them on notice of their discoveries. The group says if action is not taken to correct the questionable voter rolls, they will bring lawsuits against every single county on the list.

“Corrupted voter rolls provide the perfect environment for voter fraud,” said J. Christian Adams, president and general counsel of PILF. “Close elections tainted by voter fraud turned control of the United States Senate in 2009. Too much is at stake in 2016 to allow that to happen again.”

The statutory notice letters argue the counties are violating the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and urge them to correct the issue, claiming their voter rolls contain a substantially high amount of ineligible voters. The group used federally produced data to come to their conclusions.

“Voter rolls across America have been discovered that contain substantial numbers of ineligible voters, resulting in the possible disenfranchisement of legally eligible voters via ballot dilution that threatens to subvert the nation’s electoral process,” a sample letter sent to the counties reads.

“Based on our comparison of publicly available information published by the U.S. Census Bureau and the federal Election Assistance Commission, your county is failing to comply with Section 8 of the NVRA,” it continues. “Federal law requires election officials to conduct a reasonable effort to maintain voter registration lists free of dead voters, ineligible voters and voters who have moved away.”

“In short, your county has significantly more voters on the registration rolls than it has eligible live voters and is thus not reasonably maintaining the rolls.”The Voting DEAD

According to PILF, the 141 counties targeted for their suspicious voter rolls span across 21 states and include: Michigan (24 counties), Kentucky (18), Illinois (17), Indiana (11), Alabama (10), Colorado (10), Texas (9), Nebraska (7), New Mexico (5), South Dakota (5), Kansas (4), Mississippi (4), Louisiana (3), West Virginia (3), Georgia (2), Iowa (2), Montana (2), and North Carolina (2), as well as Arizona, Missouri, and New York (1 each).

Data provided by the group also shows that some counties have voter registration rates that exceed 150 percent.

Franklin County, located in Illinois, contains the highest voter registration rate of any county on the list at 190 percent. Franklin is followed by Pulaski County, also located in Illinois. Pulaski boasts a 176 percent voter registration rate, according to the group.

Adams said former Attorney General Eric Holder and current AG Loretta Lynch refused to enforce the law because they don’t have a problem with corrupted voter rolls.

“Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch have deliberately refused to enforce this law because they have no problem with corrupted voter rolls,” Christian Adams told the Washington Free Beacon in an email statement. “They don’t like the law, so they don’t enforce it. It’s a pattern that has come to characterize this Justice Department.”

The apparent alliance between Senator Ted Cruz and businessman Donald Trump — both candidates for the High-Ground-600-LARepublican nomination for president — will be on full display soon: the two will hold an anti-Iran deal rally together. CNN reports:

Presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are planning to rally together on the grounds of the Capitol to “call on members of Congress to defeat the catastrophic” Iran nuclear deal, Cruz’s campaign said Thursday.

The Texas senator said in a tweet that he was “glad that @realDonaldTrump accepted my invitation,” an invitation confirmed by event organizers.

Cruz’s announcement came a few hours after Trump announced in a speech in South Carolina that he expected to do an Iran event with Cruz, predicting it would draw a “tremendous crowd.”

Although many Republicans have distanced themselves from Trump, Cruz has done the opposite. He has defended the eccentric billionaire throughout the campaign and even praised him for his outspokenness. He’s also a big fan of Trump’s willingness to make enemies in order to speak the truth about America’s failing immigration policies.

The two men have several things in common. One of them is that both are extremely critical of the deal Obama has struck with Iran. Cruz has vowed to “shred it to pieces” on the first day he becomes president. Trump hasn’t gone that far — he says he’ll just “strictly police” it — but it’s clear that he too believes that the White House has set a dangerous precedent by doing business with Iran’s radical mullahs who, on several occasions, have said they want to “wipe Israel off the map.”

It’s great to see that although Trump and Cruz are obviously rivals for the Republican nomination, they’re willing to join forces when circumstances demand it. Although they’re often accused by the establishment of not being team players, the opposite is true: they certainly are willing to form an alliance when it’s in America’s interest. Yes, even when it doesn’t make much sense from a campaign-perspective. Other Republicans, like John “Ted Cruz is a jackass” Boehner, can learn a little something from that.

A rancher is taking the Environmental Protection Agency to federal court, asking a judge to stop the agency from fining him more than $16 million because he built a small pond on his property. Andy Johnson of Fort Bridger, Wyoming says he made sure to get the proper permits from his state government before building the pond. After all, this is America in the 21st century, and nothing done on your own property — certainly when it involves the use of water — is beyond government concern.

Johnson is facing millions in fines from the federal government after the EPA determined his small pond — technically a “stock pond” to provide better access to water for animals on his ranch — is somehow violating the federal Clean Water Act. “We went through all the hoops that the state of Wyoming required, and I’m proud of what we built,” Johnson said. “The EPA ignored all that.”

In a compliance order, the EPA told Johnson he had to return his property — under federal oversight — to conditions before the stock pond was built. When he refused to comply, the EPA tagged Johnson with a fines of $37,000 per dayEPA Monster

Dismantling the pond within the 30-day window the EPA originally gave him was “physically impossible,” Johnson said.

That was in 2012. Today, Johnson owes the federal government more than $16 million, and the amount is growing as he tries to fight back. In a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court on Thursday, lawyers representing Johnson argue the EPA overstepped its authority by fining the rancher.

When Vester Lee Flanagan murdered a reporter (Alison Parker) and her cameraman (Adam Ward) on live television on Wednesday, Breitbart News provided its readers with live updates in a post with a headline that read, “RACE MURDER IN VIRGINIA: BLACK REPORTER SUSPECTED OF EXECUTING WHITE COLLEAGUES – ON LIVE TELEVISION!”

There was nothing factually wrong with the headline. And Breitbart News put up the headline, which was approved by Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, after Flanagan started sending out Tweets that implied there may have been a racial motivation for the attacks. Flanagan (or Bryce Williams, which was his on-air name) alleged that one of his victims, reporter Alison Parker, “made racist comments.” He wondered on Twitter, “they hired her after that???” Flanagan is black. Ward and Parker were white.

But the mainstream press, left-wing writers, and the usual suspects on the right who love being liked by the liberals went apoplectic.

ABC News would later receive Flanagan’s manifesto/suicide note in which he declared that he wanted a “race war.”Leftist monster race

“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15,” he reportedly wrote in his manifesto. “What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

According to ABC, which received Flanagan’s manifesto, Flanagan also said that the Charleston “church shooting was the tipping point…but my anger has been building steadily…I’ve been a human powder keg for a while…just waiting to go BOOM!!!!”

“As for Dylann Roof? You (deleted)! You want a race war (deleted)? BRING IT THEN YOU WHITE …(deleted)!!!” Flanagan wrote.

ABC also noted that in his manifesto, Flanagan says he “has suffered racial discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying at work,” been “attacked by black men and white females,” and “talks about how he was attacked for being a gay, black man.”Lies Lies and More Lies

The same cast of characters in the mainstream media and on the right who always look for any excuse to attack Breitbart News, though, spent the day accusing Breitbart News of race-baiting. Left-wing Media Matters sent out a press release that accused Breitbart News of reacting to the “shooting with a race-baiting article authored by editor-at-large John Nolte.”

New York magazine’s Jonathan Chait said he was “too angry to be tweeting about these racist demagogues at Breitbart but I can’t contain myself right now. These are sick, hateful, twisted people who exploit our worst impulses, and they have real influence,” Chait added.

tw01 tw02Business Insider’s Hunter Walker Tweeted, “So, can all of us political folks stop pretending that Breitbart has any place in the mainstream discourse now?”

Vox’s Max Fisher wondered, “at what point do we stop pretending breitbart is anything other than a white supremacist hate site?”

David Waldman of the Daily Kos Tweeted: “Hmm. Horrible, horrible story happening here, on every possible level. How can I, as a Breitbart employee, possibly make this worse? Hmm.”

Jamelle Bouie of Slate Tweeted of Nolte: “*thinks to himself* i should definitely post my story about the scary BLACK murderer.”

Nevada political reporter John Ralston, who slavishly seeks attention from the mainstream media, loves being patted on the head by them, and mimics those in the mainstream press who believe they are the oh-so-wise adults while voters are stupid children, quickly piled on, Tweeting, “For the love of God.” Ralston also agreed with a Twitter user who said that Breitbart News is the “bottomest of bottom-dwelling publications”

The Texas Observer‘s Christopher Hooks Tweeted, “Breitbart Seems Cool.” He also re-Tweeted a user who Tweeted to Breitbart News, “fuuuuuuuuck yoooooou.”

The usual suspects and perpetual backstabbers on the right who look for any excuse to go after Breitbart News joined left-wing writers and their allies in the mainstream press in attacking Breitbart News’s headline. David Fredosso, of the Washington Examiner, Tweeted, “AYFKM [Are you f**king kidding me].”

tw03

Partyof Deceit Spin and LiesRare.us’s entertainment editor accused Breitbart News of sinking to a new low with its headline.

And Redstate’s Ben Howe, who also has looked for any excuse to attack Breitbart News after Nolte called him out for selling out conservatives in order to get patted on the head by left-wing Buzzfeed, Tweeted, “This goes beyond jumping the shark. What you’re witnessing here is jamming spiked cleats into the brain of the shark.” Nolte has called Howe out for being a mercenary who sells his services to various politicians.

Howe claimed that Breitbart News put up its headline without knowing all of the facts before he showed how ignorant he was of the facts on Twitter. Howe revealed that he was unaware of Flanagan’s social media posts and thought Flanagan was a “disgruntled boyfriend.” A Twitter user responded to Howe and wrote, “I follow many reporters and didn’t see disgruntled boyfriend. They were reporting his SM [social media] posts about racial resentment.”

Howe, clearly out of the loop and not in a position to say Breitbart News did not have all of the facts, claimed that “at the time it was being reported that he was a disgruntled boyfriend.” “Is that not still the case?” he asked, even though no outlet or reporter definitively reported that Flanagan was a disgruntled ex-boyfriend.

tw04

Back on the left, Huffington Post’s Elise Foley accused Breitbart News of “race-baiting.” Foley’s left-wing publication did not even publish the photo of the murderer. Little Green Football’s Charles Johnson Tweeted that Breitbart News “goes full-on Stormfront.”

And on and on it went.

At the end of the evening, the Drudge Report led its website with the headline, “Killer Wanted ‘Race War.’”

WASHINGTON – Businessman Donald Trump has told several top Republicans that he will swear off the possibility of an independent bid and commit to running his presidential campaign under the party’s banner, according to several sources. Such a move could endear Trump further to Republican voters who have remained skeptical about his allegiance to a political party he joined relatively recently. Trump had drawn sharp criticism from GOP leaders concerned that a third party bid would effectively guarantee a Democratic win in the general election.

“I know you don’t need any advice, but I’m going to give you some. You will do better in the Republican primaries if you just swear off the third party, because a lot of Republicans will never vote for someone who, like Ross Perot, will hand the election to a Democrat,” influential radio host Hugh Hewitt told Trump during an interview in early August.

“I’ve never heard it put so strongly,” Trump responded. “When you said it the way you said it, that’s very interesting, so I’ll be thinking about that.”

Michael Cohen, a top Trump aide, did not go so far as to confirm that the businessman would take the step of forsaking a run as an independent. But he did tell The Huffington Post that Trump never had “any intent” of campaigning as anything other than a Republican. “He just wanted to ensure that the establishment would treat him as fair as they would treat any of the other candidates,” Cohen said. “And I believe, right now, they are treating him fairly. It is my personal belief that the RNC is treating Mr. Trump the same as the other candidates, and he will live up to his agreement not to run as an independent.”

Trump, for his part, has long said that he was holding out the possibility of an independent run as leverage. But according to sources, he has since determined that the threat was harmful to his current chances.

A spokesman for the Republican National Committee did not return a request for comment.

A top Republican source, however, cautioned that any decision Trump will reportedly make should be considered a loose commitment at best, since he is known for his political impulsiveness. A stray insult from a fellow Republican could, theoretically, change his calculus.

“[Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger] Ailes thought he had a deal, too. Then Trump called Megyn Kelly a bimbo, again,” noted one GOP operative, referencing the supposed truce between the network chief and Trump. Asked specifically if Trump would be making a formal announcement, Cohen replied, “Only Mr. Trump can sign that oath. And when he does, you can rest assured, he will live by it.”

During an interview with Hewitt on Wednesday after this story was published, Trump was asked about it whether he would forgo an independent run. “It’s not something I want to do and at some point I will actually totally commit,” he said, in reference to formally running as a Republican. “I didn’t think it was appropriate to commit during the debate,” he went on. “You know, I was a little surprised they even asked me at the debate but that was OK. But at some point, look, I want to run, I’m leading in the polls by a lot, I want to run as a Republican. I want to get the nomination and I want to beat the Democrats.”
This story has been updated to include Trump’s comments to Hewitt on Wednesday.

Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday signed a controversial U.N. treaty on arms regulation, riling U.S. lawmakers who vow the Senate will not ratify the agreement. As he signed the document, Kerry called the treaty a “significant step” in addressing illegal gun sales, while claiming it would also protect gun rights. “This is about keeping weapons out of the hands of terrorists and rogue actors. This is about reducing the risk of international transfers of conventional arms that will be used to carry out the world’s worst crimes. This is about keeping Americans safe and keeping America strong,” he said. “This treaty will not diminish anyone’s freedom. In fact, the treaty recognizes the freedom of both individuals and states to obtain, possess, and use arms for legitimate purposes.” Bull

Imperial President ObamaU.S. lawmakers, though, have long claimed the treaty could lead to new gun control measures. They note the U.S. Senate has final say on whether to approve the agreement. Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., in a letter to President Obama, urged his administration not to take any action to implement the treaty without the consent of the Senate. He claimed the treaty raises “fundamental issues” concerning “individual rights protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.”

The National Rifle Association blasted the plan, claiming it would impose an “invasive registration scheme” by requiring importing countries to give exporting countries information on “end users.” “The Obama administration is once again demonstrating its contempt for our fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action, said in a statement. “These are blatant attacks on the constitutional rights and liberties of every law-abiding American. The NRA will continue to fight this assault on our fundamental freedom.” Hey Leftist

Gun Control Supporters croppedSen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., one of the most vocal opponents of the treaty, also sent a letter to Kerry declaring the treaty “dead in the water,” since a majority of senators has gone on record against the agreement. “The administration is wasting precious time trying to sign away our laws to the global community and unelected U.N. bureaucrats,” he wrote. Kerry, who is in New York attending the U.N. General Assembly session, announced earlier this year that the administration planned to sign the treaty.

The treaty would require countries that ratify it to establish national regulations to control the transfer of conventional arms and components and to regulate arms brokers, but it will not explicitly control the domestic use of weapons in any country. Still, gun-rights supporters on Capitol Hill warn the treaty could be used as the basis for additional gun regulations inside the U.S. and have threatened not to ratify.

Over the summer, 130 members of Congress signed a letter to President Obama and Kerry urging them to reject the measure for this and other reasons.

The chance of adoption by the U.S. is slim. A two-thirds majority would be needed in the Senate to ratify. Wolf and Lamb

trustWhat impact the treaty will have in curbing the estimated $60 billion global arms trade remains to be seen. The U.N. treaty will take effect after 50 countries ratify it, and a lot will depend on which ones ratify and which ones don’t, and how stringently it is implemented.

The Control Arms Coalition, which includes hundreds of non-governmental organizations in more than 100 countries that promoted an Arms Trade Treaty, has said it expects many of the world’s top arms exporters — including Britain, Germany and France — to sign alongside emerging exporters such as Brazil and Mexico. It said the United States is expected to sign later this year. The coalition notes that more than 500,000 people are killed by armed violence every year and predicted that “history will be made” when many U.N. members sign the treaty, which it says is designed “to protect millions living in daily fear of armed violence and at risk of rape, assault, displacement and death.” Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Second AmendmentMany violence-wracked countries, including Congo and South Sudan, are also expected to sign. The coalition said their signature — and ratification — will make it more difficult for illicit arms to cross borders. The treaty covers battle tanks, armored combat vehicles, large-caliber artillery systems, combat aircraft, attack helicopters, warships, missiles and missile launchers, and small arms and light weapons. It prohibits states that ratify it from transferring conventional weapons if they violate arms embargoes or if they promote acts of genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes. The treaty also prohibits the export of conventional arms if they could be used in attacks on civilians or civilian buildings such as schools and hospitals.

In addition, the treaty requires countries to take measures to prevent the diversion of conventional weapons to the illicit market. This is among the provisions that gun-rights supporters in Congress are concerned about.

The measure has the state budget directing over $300,000 in Title 10 money to local full-service health clinics instead of Planed Parenthood and it places $300,000 into the Stan Clark grant-matched fund for pregnancy support and adoption counseling. The funding cuts eventually resulted in the Planned Parenthood abortion business closing one of its centers.

PP MonsterNow, the Obama administration, in the wake of additional states cutting Planned Parenthood funding following the massive scandal, is going after one state that already cut tax-funding to the abortion company. According to an AP report: “The federal government reduced its Title X funding to the state by about the $370,000 annually in Title X money that two Planned Parenthood facilities in Wichita and Hays and an unaffiliated clinic in Dodge City had been receiving.”

While Kansas revoked taxpayer dollars for an abortion business, the Obama administration’s decision hurts women’s health and deprives them of legitimate medical and health care.

As AP reports, “Medical providers say that means low-income patients are finding it harder to access birth control, cancer screenings and other reproductive health care services. People have fewer places to go, and for those with limited means that may make utilizing those services even more difficult,” said J’Vonnah Maryman, director for public health at the Sedgwick County Health Department.Bull

In terms of the pro-life law de-funding Planned Parenthood, the insurance portion of the legislation prohibits private health insurance companies from forcing enrollees to pay for abortions and it makes those who want to potentially have abortion coverage pay for an insurance rider. It also ensures abortions can’t be paid for with taxpayer dollars through the state exchanges set up under the federal Obamacare health care law.

muslim-obamaAlthough it already has an interfaith prayer room, the Orlando International Airport is building a new $250,000 “Reflection Room” for Muslims, a facility that should be called what it truly is, “a mosque,” said Rev. Franklin Graham. He also questioned how loud objections would be if the airport spent $250,000 on a “room exclusively for evangelical Christians.”

“You won’t believe this one,” said Rev. Graham in an Aug. 21 post on Facebook. “A public airport in the United States spending $250,000 to open a prayer room for Muslims? Orlando International Airport is doing just that, and it’s scheduled to open September 1!” .. “Let’s call this what it is—a mosque,” said Rev. Graham.

“The airport already had an interfaith prayer room since 1983 (with prayer rugs available in it)—but that wasn’t enough,” he said. “How loud do you think the objections would be today if they spent $250,000 in taxpayer money to build a new prayer room exclusively for evangelical Christians? Or for Jews or Mormons or any other group? Why do Muslims get preference?”

The “Reflection Room” is being added to Terminal B at Orlando International Airport and is scheduled to open on Sept. 1, which coincides with the start of Emirates Airline’s flights from Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Orlando, Fla. Several other international airlines also will be arriving at that terminal. The “Reflection Room” will include a Muslim ablution area, where people who practice Islam wash their feet, hands, face, and mouth as a ritual of purification before praying. The room will also include directional signs for north, south, east and west, reported the Orlando Sentinel.

Civil rights attorney Shayan Modarres, a Muslim, said the new “reflection room” is great for followers of Islam, especially for those who “have felt isolated and uncomfortable in this country after the terrorist attacks of 9-11,” reported the Orlando Sentinel. It’s “a great step in the right direction, especially for tolerance and inclusion,” he said. The room will be popular with Muslims, the lawyer continued, because Muslims pray five times a day. “This is the right message we need to send,” said Modarres. “It’s reconciliation.”cause of death

Senator Susan Collins (R-Maine). Photo by Greg Nash

Suicide-USA-NRD-600Senate Republicans are united in their opposition to President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran — with one exception. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) has yet to take a position on the agreement, making her the last undecided Senate Republican who could conceivably side with the president. Some observers say Collins, a centrist known for bucking party convention, could go it alone next month and vote against a resolution to kill the Iran deal when it comes to the Senate floor.

“At this time, Sen. Collins is still gathering a lot of information and has not reached a final decision,” an aide said last week. The aide reaffirmed on Tuesday that Collins is still undecided. Collins “remains concerned about several aspects of the agreement, such as the lack of a good inspection regime to make sure that the Iranians are not cheating on the agreement,” the aide added, while noting that the senator has been “meeting with people on both sides of this very complex and important issue. She believes a good inspection regime is absolutely essential and is carefully weighing this issue in her decision making.” Picture3

Death to AmericaOn Wednesday afternoon, Collins’s office said that she would not announce a position on the deal until after lawmakers return to Washington in September. Collins became the last Senate Republican on the fence after Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) announced on Friday that she would oppose the agreement. The Alaska senator said the deal does not require Iran to completely abandon its nuclear program.

Murkowski and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) — who announced earlier this month that he would vote against the deal — had been considered the only other Senate Republicans who might side with Obama.

There are reasons to think Collins is truly torn. She was one of just seven Senate Republicans who did not sign a controversial letter to the Iranian government in March that warned a nuclear deal could be revoked by the next president. Collins may also be feeling boxed in by Sen. Angus King (I-Maine), who came out in support of the agreement in a floor speech shortly before the August recess. Though he is officially an independent, King caucuses with Democrats.

Additionally, Collins might be hesitant to rebuff the president, given that the United States took a lead role in the multination Iran negotiations.

“Sen. Collins is quite frequently concerned with good governance and good process,” said Blaise Misztal, the director of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s national security program. “I could see her not wanting this deal to have to go to a presidential veto.”More Evidence

Missing-Piece-600-LIStill, close observers of the Iran deal remain skeptical that Collins, or any other Republican, will side with the president and vote to uphold the deal. “Given that the way votes are breaking, it might even be difficult for opponents to get the 60 votes they need in the Senate to get past cloture,” Misztal added. “I don’t think [Collins is] going to feel that compunction to have to break with her party on the deal.”

The White House likely needs the support of 34 Senate Democrats to uphold a veto of the disapproval resolution, and the support of 41 to prevent it from ever reaching Obama’s desk. So far, only two Senate Democrats have announced that they will oppose the deal, while 29 have committed to backing it. Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) became the latest supporter of the deal on Tuesday.

The math is slightly different in the House, where the lack of a filibuster means Republicans will have no trouble passing the initial resolution. If the House voted on whether to override Obama, Democrats could afford to Deflated Diplomacylose no more than 43 members to uphold the White House’s veto.

While supporters and opponents of the deal have been focused on the Senate, there’s also a chance that one or two House Republicans break from their party and oppose legislation aiming to kill the deal.

“It is a rare occasion when Republicans all vote together,” Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) — an ardent critic of the Iran agreement — told reporters earlier this week. “This will be close, I suspect,” he added. “I can’t imagine there will be too many [defectors].”

But might there be at least one? “Sure,” Pompeo answered.

Reps. Walter Jones (N.C.), Justin Amash (Mich.) and Thomas Massie (Ky.) are considered to be the House Republicans most likely to oppose a Pitiful-Deal-NRD-600resolution against the Iran deal. All three are often on the opposite side of Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).Cannot fix RINOS

However, Jones — a former Democrat — appears to be facing a primary challenge against veteran Republican operative Taylor Griffin next year, which could make a defection on Iran politically risky. Griffin came within six points of ousting Jones last year, and he criticized the lawmaker earlier this summer for being “just not a good conservative.”

Spokespeople for Massie and Amash said in recent days that the lawmakers had yet to settle on a position. A spokesperson for Jones did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

The White House is not expecting any GOP support for the deal, but would surely not hesitate to use even a single Republican vote as evidence of bipartisan backing.

Yet there are risks in touting any GOP support, given opposition from top Democrats such as Sens. Bob Menendez (N.J.) and Charles Schumer (N.Y.) — the likely next Senate Democratic leader — as well as Reps. Eliot Engel (N.Y.) and Brad Sherman (Calif.). “Even if one or two Republicans do vote for the deal, it really matters very little because it is now virtually certain that the deal will be voted down by significant, bipartisan majorities in both houses of Congress,” said Jamil Jaffer, a former top aide to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and current director of George Mason Law School’s Homeland and National Security Law Program.

By voting it down, lawmakers will be “sapping the deal of all political credibility, and making it clear to European companies that they ought wait until at least November 2016 before taking any action to start trading with Iran,” he added.Picture4

Early this morning, the Center for Medical Progress released their full eighth video exposé on Planned Parenthood’s participation in illegally selling fetal body parts for profit. (SCROLL DOWN TO WATCH THE VIDEO) Today’s installment focuses on one luncheon meeting with actors posing as representatives of a biotech company and StemExpress’ CEO Cate Dyer. Dyer explains how her relationship with Planned Parenthood has been a profitable one because of the increasing demand for fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood provides the volume they need to keep up with the demand, which StemExpress struggles to fill. Fetal livers, in particular are in such great demand that her business cannot keep up.

Dyer was seeking a partnership with the actors, hoping to increase her supply of fetal tissue products.

“What would make your lab happy?” the buyer asked.

“Another fifty livers a week,” Dyer responded without hesitation.

“We’re working with, you know, almost triple digit number of clinics. So it’s a lot on volume, and we still need more than what we do. So it’s a lot,” she said.how many body parts

According to Dyer, StemExpress does about half their fetal tissue procurement business with Planned Parenthood and the other half with “independent” abortion clinics. But she explained, “Planned Parenthood has volume, because they’re a volume institution.”

Dyer said she feels great support from Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and Senior Medical Director Deborah Nucatola. “You know, Everyone at PPFA and just the affiliates – I just think you’re either in the cause or you’re not. And if you’re not in the cause, like, they don’t need you around,” Dyer said. “The need champions, and if you’re not a champion, then you should go. Because that’s just, you know – I don’t know, the clinics, they’re very guarded, as they should be. Who do they let in their house? They want champions in their house. Right?”

As for profitability, StemExpress makes sure that their partner clinics see a financial benefit from partnering with it. A brochure produced for Planned Parenthood abortion clinics assure them that they will see fiscal rewards from their participation in fetal organ harvesting. The brochure is even endorsed by Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Dorothy Ferguson of the Mar Monte affiliate. “But there’s clinics out there that have been burned that feel like they’re doing all this work for research and it hasn’t been profitable for them. . .I don’t see that either,” said Dyer.

“There can be no doubt of the profit motive behind Planned Parenthood’s participation in the illegal selling of aborted baby remains. If they say otherwise, they are just trying to deny their part in criminal conduct. Right now, everyone at Planned Parenthood is trying to save their own hides from criminal prosecution, so they’ll never admit to anything,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue who sits on the Board of the Center for Medical Progress.

Dyer also discusses the challenges of organ procurement from abortion clinics. She complains that some providers are destroying samples that have been promised to StemExpress customers. Others, she said, cannot properly identify organs and have, for example, misidentified blood clots for fetal livers, which costs her company money. But dealing with clinics that supply tainted tissues seems to be her main problem with abortion facilities.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

“Big issue I mean, so you know, we’ve seen all sorts of things, but yeast contamination, you know, that can be an issue, she said.

Dyer said her company is forced to take steps to make sure they are not investing a lot of money in tissue samples that are contaminated. “Sometimes you find that it can be clinic-specific. I’ve seen really rampant, rampant problems with bacteria in certain clinics. Some where you’re kind of like in question of really, should they, you know – I’ve see staph come out of clinics. So, I mean, I’ve seen all sorts of things come out of clinics. . .”

Dyer discusses the difficulties of procuring brains for those who request them.

“As you probably know, potentially, I mean, I think that one of the issues with neural tissue, it’s so fragile. It’s insanely fragile. . .I know we get requests for neural. It’s the hardest thing in the world to ship.”

She agrees that shipping the whole calvarium, or head of the baby, is the easiest way to ensure the brain tissue arrives at its destination intact and usable. “And I mean, we’ve actually had good success with that,” said Dyer, indicating that intact heads are the best way to procure brains. “But make sure the eyes are closed,” joked the buyer. Dyer obviously appreciated the joke and laughed heartily. It even got a bit of a smile out of the otherwise stoic gentleman that accompanied Dyer to the business lunch. Dyer took the joke further, “Yeah! Tell the lab it’s coming! So they don’t open the box and go, ‘Oh God!’”m

PP MonsterAfter the laughing subsided, Dyer relates an important insight about researchers she deals with and the denial many of them must embrace in order to conduct their experimentation on human baby body parts. “So yeah, whereas so many of the academic labs cannot fly like that, they’re just not capable. . . It’s almost like they don’t want to know where it comes from. I can see that. Where they’re like, ‘We need limbs, but no hand and feet need to be attached.’ And you’re like, ? Or they just want the long bones and they don’t want to see – They want you to take it all off, like, ‘Make it so that we don’t know what it is.’. . . Yeah, ‘Bone the chicken for me and then – That’s it. But we know what it is, I mean, but their lab. . .And their lab techs freak out, and have meltdowns, and so it’s just like, yeah.”

Dyer described why many researchers are squeamish about using fetal tissue. “Because they sort of want to get away from having to publish a picture – a paper that says this was derived from fetal tissue,” she explained. “There are ethical and moral issues with experimenting on human tissues derived from aborted babies. It is completely different than handling adult tissues,” said Newman.

Adult tissue procurement is highly regulated. Consents are signed and the remains are treated with respect. Often, the unused remains are returned to the families for interment. But not so with fetal remains.

“Babies can’t consent. Their remains are treated as a commodity, not with the respect of a human being. There is something innately exploitive and morally troubling about using baby remains in this way,” said Newman. “It is a fact that exploitive human experimentation on murdered people took a toll on the Nazi doctors during World War II. There is plenty of historical precedent to warn us against such barbarity. In truth, there are other ways to conduct beneficial research other than abusing the remains of pre-born babies.”

In the meantime, Operation Rescue continues to call for criminal prosecutions of Planned Parenthood officials engaged in the trafficking of aborted baby remains for profit.

The Center for Medical Progress plans to release additional videos in the coming days and weeks.

As the truth about Planned Parenthood is revealed to those who believed it was simply a women’s healthcare organization, people are turning away, AR Rep. Mike Holcomb (via therepublic.com)disassociating themselves with a baby parts trafficking business which even harvests organs from born alive infants. Today, Arkansas State Representative Mike Holcomb joined the list of defectors by leaving the Democratic Party and joining the Republican Party.

Holcomb, from Pine Bluff, a two-term legislator, said:

I’ve chosen to join the Republican Party because I firmly believe that the conservative values they represent best align with my own personal beliefs and convictions.

I believe in the sanctity of life. I believe in traditional marriage. I believe in helping Arkansans.

Talk Business & Politics reports:

He noted in his remarks that the recent Democratic Party of Arkansas’ stance regarding Planned Parenthood and the state of Arkansas’ ARGOP_Mike_Holcomb_t300_c300x214previous funding, which Gov. Asa Hutchinson called to end, was cited as a major reason for Holcomb’s switch.

Arkansas Governor, Asa Hutchinson, who recently defunded Planned Parenthood as part of the growing list of states that are distancing themselves from financially participating with the abortion giant, was at the press conference Thursday where Holcomb announced the switch and said that it’s not possible for Arkansas Democrats, who may think themselves more conservative, to separate themselves from the national Democratic party on issues such as abortion.

Of course, Arkansas Democrats weren’t happy. Democratic Party of Arkansas chairman Vince Insalaco issued a statement that shows the continued ignorance of what Planned Parenthood is all about when he pulled the “health care” card from the worn deck:

If standing against women’s health care including Pap smears, breast cancer screenings, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, prenatal checkups, or the equality of all Arkansans is important to Rep. Holcomb, then he’s found a good home in the Republican Party of Arkansas.how many body parts

Of course Insalaco proves he doesn’t know about the programs he supports, since every service Planned Parenthood offers – apart from abortion – is available at low or no cost clinics nationwide, including in his own state. Reducing Holcomb’s switch to some narrow-minded decision to steal health care from women is not a surprising attack, but it’s also not a true one.Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Holcomb has done what those with a conscience must do when seeing the truth behind the pink Planned Parenthood shingle: run. Holcomb, who serves District 10, has “spent 28 years in public education and is a past Jefferson County judge. He is vice chairman of the House Committee on Public Transportation.”

It’s becoming apparent that Holcomb will be just one of the first to leave the party that is supporting bloodshed, fetal parts harvesting and now, as we have seen, infanticide.

I am a proud American who believes that America has held – and still holds – a very sensitive and special place in the affairs of mankind on Planet Earth. I believe that America has been divinely blessed and protected in our two centuries plus of existence.

I believe that America has been a counter balance that has cancelled out a lot of tyranny, evil and conquest and, admittedly, we have made a lot of mistakes, but on balance we have exerted a certain Pax Americana in the international affairs of mankind.

It took a lot of old fashioned guts for the Continental Congress to stand up to the world’s mightiest military and tell them that we demanded our independence, even at the peril of going up against a far superior force on land and sea with a ragtag army of untrained citizens, many who had to supply their own firearms.

It took courage above and beyond for Abraham Lincoln to push the country into a Civil War that he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt would divide this nation for decades.

It took guts to give the order for American troops to storm the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, straight into the face of artillery and machine gunfire, wave after wave being cut to ribbons by German shore emplacements.

The history of this nation is written in the blood and courage of men who stood in the face of overwhelming odds, politicians, soldiers, statesmen and ordinary citizens who sought to do the right thing regardless of the cost or the consequences.

Well, ladies and gentlemen of the United States Congress, it seems that that particular pen has run out of ink. The courageous politicians that once championed this nation have been replaced, for the most part, by a breed of milksop, politically correct, scared of their own shadow, pushover, pathetic excuses for public servants who are supposed to be representing a constituency of citizens who have to live with the circumstances of their timid folly.

You don’t even have the courage to face down an out of control president, even when he makes a deal with the devil. Don’t you bunch of timid capons even care what kind of world you’re leaving to your children and grandchildren, not to even mention the rest of us? Are you really party partisans before you’re parents and grandparents or even human beings?

Be honest with yourselves a minute, go into the bathroom and look in the mirror and ask the person you see this question.

“Do I really believe that Iran will not use the money we’re releasing to them to finance terrorists to kill Americans, and, when, not if, but when, the Iranians develop their nuclear device, will they really use it against America and Israel?”

You can’t hide from the truthful answer to that question forever, an answer will be required of you one day.

You have allowed Obama to tilt the Supreme Court so far to the left that they’re little more than a shameful extension of the Executive Branch.

You have talked for decades about the porous southern border but have done absolutely nothing about it.

You have allowed cities in this nation to declare themselves sanctuary cities where they protect the worst of the worst criminal aliens, American citizens paying an awful price for your silence.

You watch an impossible National Debt balloon completely out of control knowing full well that a day of reckoning is coming that will seriously curtail the quality of life for coming generations.

You allow corrupt government agencies like the IRS to run over the very people you are sworn to protect and allow the entitlement society to expand exponentially while you actually entertain the idea of raising taxes on those who still work and shoulder the burden.

You compose a third of the constitutionally mandated ruling system and you shirk your duty
and allow this nation to move a little closer to the edge every day.

I wish you bunch of sold-out, jaded, burned-out hacks would just go home and let some people who still have some vision and whose consciences haven’t been seared past the point of reminding them when they’re wrong take over and start to claw this nation back on to the path of sanity,

Your ratings are in the single digits, your morals are in the gutter, your minds are on self-preservation and somewhere along the way you traded your honor for political expediency.

You’ve violated your oaths, you’ve betrayed your country you’ve feathered your nests and you’ve sat on your hands while an imperial president has rubbed your noses in the dirt time after time.

You’re no longer men, you’re puppets, you’re caricatures, jokes, a gaggle of fading prostitutes for sale to anybody who can do you a political favor.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

What do you think?

Pray for our troops and the peace of Jerusalem.

God Bless America

The fifth annual report from the Fraser Institute, “The Human Freedom Index,” showed the United States falling further in a global measurement of personal, civil, and economic freedom, from 17th place in 2011 to 20th in 2012 (the latest year for which reliable data is available). Ahead of the United States are Canada in 6th place and the United Kingdom, in 9th place. The United States barely edges out the Czech Republic and Estonia, in 21st and 22nd places respectively.

Wrote Ian Vasquez, one of the report’s co-authors:

The U.S. performance is worrisome and shows that the United States can no longer claim to be the leading bastion of liberty in the world. In addition to the expansion of the regulatory state and drop in economic freedom, the war on terror, the war on drugs, and the erosion of property rights due to greater use of eminent domain all likely have contributed to the U.S. decline.Indenification of Obama

Since 2008, the Fraser Institute, along with the Cato Institute and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom out of Berlin, have examined 76 distinct indicators to see just where freedom is being gained, or lost, among 152 countries. They look at the following areas:

The Rule of Law;

Freedom of Religion;

Freedom of Association and Assembly;

Freedom of Expression;

The Size of Government;

The Security of Property Rights;

The Soundness of the Currency; and

The Degree of Regulation of Credit, Labor, and Business.

Freedom is important, according to the authors, because it represents the highest human aspiration, without which all other’s are denigrated or unachievable:

Freedom should be a human goal of [the] highest order, a purpose in itself. Everything that makes a human truly human is lacking when there is no freedom.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — President Obama accused conservative opponents of his climate change agenda Monday night of carrying out an un-American campaign to protect their fossil fuel interests at the expense of the country. “They’re trying to undermine competition in the marketplace and choke off consumer choice and threaten an industry that’s turning out new jobs at a fast pace,” Mr. Obama said at a clean here.

Solar-Loaf-600-AEAThe president took aim particularly at the Koch brothers, saying they represent a faction in the U.S. opposed to investment in alternative energies such as solar power. “When you start seeing massive lobbying efforts backed by fossil fuel interests or conservative thinks tanks, or the Koch brothers pushing for new laws to roll back renewable energy standards or prevent new clean energy businesses from succeeding, that’s a problem,” Mr. Obama said. “That’s not the American way. That’s not progress. That’s not innovation. That’s rent-seeking, and trying to protect old ways of doing business and standing in the way of the future,” he said.

But a top House Republican said Mr. Obama is trying to fool the public with an agenda that will actually raise energy prices.

“Raising utility prices by as much as $1,000 per family, which will reduce GDP by as much half a percentage point a year, is not powering progress, but instead [is] a recipe for America’s media blockdecline and continued energy dependency,” said Rep. Rob Bishop, Utah Republican and chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources. “Instead of spending another $1 billion of taxpayer money to prop up noncompetitive sources of energy, the president should cut barriers to energy development on federal land and offshore,” Mr. Bishop said.

The president chided congressional Republicans for fighting higher spending on his clean energy agenda and instead “chasing mindless austerity.” He also said his push for clean energy has created “strange bedfellows” in political circles. “In some states we’ve got the Green Party and the tea party teaming up to protect our freedom to choose clean energy,” Mr. Obama said. “It is rare that the tea party leaders and I are on the same side of an issue. I agree with them here. This is not, and should not be, a Republican-versus-Democratic issue.”green

The president said solar and wind energy are now more cost-effective than traditional ways of generating electricity, such as coal-burning power plants.

“Solar has helped a lot of construction workers find work, while Congress was dragging its feet on funding infrastructure projects,” he said. “Now is not the time to pull back on those investments.”If his mouth is open he must be lying

Mr. Obama said big companies such as Google and Costco are purchasing solar power because it makes sense for their bottom lines. “They’re not doing this out of altruism,” Mr. Obama said. “They’re doing this because it means big cost savings. The private sector is increasingly all in. I’m all for consumers saving money. Solar isn’t just for the green crowd anymore. It’s for the green eye-shade crowd, too.”cartoon-grants-solar-energy

Mr. Obama’s speech comes amid the administration’s continued push for more renewable energy, which the president hopes will fully replace fossil fuels before the end of the century. The White House on Monday also rolled out a host of new executive actions designed to spur more clean power projects across the country. The administration is guaranteeing an additional $1 billion in loans for distributed energy projects, launching a new federal program to educate homeowners on how to increase energy efficiency, handing out $24 million in taxpayer money for 11 solar projects across seven states and taking other steps.Worship manditory

Phasing out fossil fuels — especially coal — and replacing them with renewable power is a cornerstone of Mr. Obama’s broader plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change. The president has pledged to the international community that the U.S. will cut its emissions by at least 26 percent by 2025 — a goal that’s only achievable with a significant increase in the amount of power generated by renewable sources. Specific pieces of the president’s climate agenda, such as the Environmental Protection Agency’s plan to dramatically cut carbon emissions from power plants, are only possible through major new investments in renewable energy. Critics say that proposal, along with other steps in the president’s climate agenda, will kill jobs and slow economic growth. Federal data also show that the EPA power plant rules in particular will raise electric bills for most American families, at least temporarily.EPA monster 2

Beyond domestic steps, Mr. Obama also is eyeing an unprecedented international deal on global warming. In December he’ll travel to Paris for a key United Nations summit on climate change in the hopes of emerging with a landmark agreement reining in the world’s worst greenhouse gas emitters, including China.

Dave Boyer reported from Washington.

California solar power station burning, killing birds in mid-air

TORONTO – A solar-power generating station in central California is killing birds as they catch fire in the reflection of light from its massive array of mirrors, and now there are concerns that initial estimates of bird losses are too low. Workers at the $2.2 billion Ivanpah solar plant, which opened in December 2013, have a name for the birds unfortunate enough to be caught up in the mirrors’ light: streamers. This is due to the puff of smoke as the birds ignite in mid-air and fall to the ground. Instead of an estimated one thousand birds dying annually, that number could be as high as 28,000 a year, according to The Associated Press. And of particular concern to environmental groups is the planned project in another part of the state. Picture1

BrightSource, NRG Power and Google are all investors in the massive generating station.

The solar plant doesn’t produce energy the way traditional solar cells do. Instead 300,000 mirrors are spread across 3,500 acres at the Ivanpah Dry Lake where they reflect sunlight to boilers that sit on top of three 459-foot tall towers. There they fluid in the boilers’ pipes, creating super-heated steam. That steam is then piped from the boiler to a turbine that generates power, providing electricity to 140,000 California homes.

In April the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service produced a report that chronicled their findings from three solar energy facilities in California, including Ivanpah.

“Ivanpah…produces solar flux, which is intense radiant energy focused by the mirror array on the power-generating station,” the report reads. “Objects that pass through this flux, including insects and birds, encounter extreme heat, although the extent of heating depends on many variables, including the duration of exposure and the precise location in the flux beam.”

A total of 141 dead birds were collected by officials over one year and five months, which included the construction phase. Of those, 47 died due to solar flux injury. The birds’ feathers were curled, charred, melted or broken.

The second most common cause of death at Ivanpah was impact trauma, believed to be caused when many of them collided with the mirrors. It could be because the mirrors reflected the blue sky which birds may have mistaken for water in the desert area.Fed-Potential-600-AEA

BrightSource-birds

A truck drives through an array of mirrors at the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System near Primm, Nev. The site uses over 300,000 mirrors to focus sunlight on boilers’ tubes atop 450 foot towers heating water into steam which in turn drives turbines to create electricity.

According to The Associated Press, with the new concerns raised, California’s energy commission attempting to determine whether pushing the limits of solar technology is worth the added damage to wildlife from the novel form of solar energy.

Brightsource has plans to build another plant in Palen, California, that would be twice as big as Ivanpah. “We need more data before any more of these projects get approved,” said Lisa Belenky, senior attorney for the Center for Biological Diversity. “We need to understand more about how many birds will be killed and we need to understand more about potential ways to stop that, if it’s possible.”

The proposed tower would produce a flux area that would be more than three times as large as the existing towers at Ivanpah, Belenky explained. And that could possibly pose more danger to migratory birds that travel from the Colorado River and Salton Sea.

The Palen Solar Power Project is currently in front of the California Energy Commission.

There are no projects like this in Canada.

President Barack Obama told Democratic donors Monday night that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has helped him “deal with the crazies.”

“It’s hard for me to express how much I love Harry Reid, but it’s easier to do it in a room of people who love Harry Reid,” Obama said at the fundraiser, according to the official White House transcript. “Harry and I drove over here together and we were doing a little reminiscing, and then figuring out how we’re going to deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems. And then we talked about riding off into the sunset together. Everything I’ve accomplished, I’ve accomplished because Harry Reid was there by my side. And I am forever grateful for his friendship and his strength, because the thing about Harry is he’s a great politician but he’s also a man with a lot of backbone and is willing to do hard things when it’s required, and that’s what you want out of a political leader.” ObamaIranian-Flag-WORD-ART

Imperial President ObamaReid announced his support for the Iran nuclear deal over the weekend, and a Politico story about Obama’s remarks was headlined, “Barack Obama calls opponents of Iran deal, ‘the crazies.” From the White House press pool report and official transcript, however, it is not entirely clear whether Obama was referring directly to opponents of the Iran deal. The White House did not immediately respond to inquiries from TheBlaze early Tuesday.

Obama has said Republicans who oppose the deal share “common cause” with Iranian hardliners who chant “death to America” and wish to maintain the status quo. He later attempted to walk back the characterization.

Monday night, Obama and Reid spoke at a Las Vegas fundraising event for Catherine Cortez Masto, the Democrat running for the retiring Reid’s seat, and for the Nevada Democratic Party.

Later in the same speech, Obama expressed appreciated for Reid on Iran.

Just hours before going to the fundraiser, Obama praised Reid specifically for his support of the Iran deal during his remarks at the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas.

“I want to thank my dear friend, your outstanding senator, Harry Reid for holding this summit and for keeping us focused on this challenge,” Obama said. “I want to thank him by the way for his strong statement over the weekend for a deal that is going to make sure Iran doesn’t get a nuclear weapon. That’s a top priority of my administration.”

After the energy summit, Obama and Reid rode together to the fundraiser, attended by approximately 100 people with contributions ranging up to $33,400. The event raised more than $300,000.

New Texas abortion figures are out today and they confirm that de-funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business has real results. Almost 4,500 unborn babies were saved from abortions as the new Texas abortion figures show a decline in abortions from 68,298 in 2012 to 63,849 abortions in 2013, the last year for which data is available.

Americans nationwide have called for de-funding Planned Parenthood after the massive scandal at Planned Parenthood, where its staff and officials have been caught selling aborted babies and their body parts.how many body parts

In July, 2011, pro-life Texas Governor Rick Perry signed SB 7, a health care measure containing language that would revoke the taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business. The measure de-funded Planned Parenthood of $34 million or more.

Texas Right to Life strongly supported the Planned Parenthood de-funding effort and worked to close a loophole in SB 7 that would have required Texas taxpayers to fund the abortion of unborn children who suffer fetal abnormalities or who suffer from conditions “incompatible with life.” “The most evil, filthy organization in America, Planned Parenthood, might actually have to close,” says Jim Graham, director of the group. “State and federal dollars should go to health care providers who do not provide or refer for abortion,” he said. “While the amount of funds allocated to family planning has steadily increased over the years, 81,851 women in Texas still chose abortion in 2008, the last year for which data is available. Our tax dollars should not go to the abortion industry under the guise of family planning.”

Since de-funding, abortions in Texas have dropped by almost 20,000.I AM A PERSON with PoemPP Monster

The Texas state health department released a new report with the latest abortion figures and they show most abortions were done on unborn babies of women who live in Texas while the rest were done on babies of women who reside outside the state. Most women who aborted their babies in Texas in the last year were between the ages of 18-40 but two 11-year-old girls had abortions as did 64 girls aged 12-13, and 487 girls between the ages of 14-15. That means hundreds of girls who are victimized by statutory rape became pregnant and got abortions in Texas.

That leads to the question of whether or not Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics are properly reporting those statutory rapes to authorizes. The Planned Parenthood abortion business has a history of concealing statutory rape and failing to report it at all or dragging its feet and filing reports well after the rape and abortion, leading to the repeat victimization of the young girls.

Some 280 babies were aborted who were 20 weeks of age or older and half of all abortions in Texas were repeat abortions.

That four word phrase has been proven false, yet it continues to be used fervently by BLM protestors. Why? Because it sustains the movement. They don’t care if it’s a lie, they need an anthem.

I was perusing BlackLivesMatter.com, because I like to laugh, and I came across two things that were so ridiculous, I had to write about them. Ok, I actually came across more than two things worthy of examination, but I’m not writing a dissertation.

First, on the “Demands” page, they once again push the idea of “hands up, don’t shoot.”

“We will seek justice for Brown’s family by petitioning for the immediate arrest of Officer Darren Wilson and the dismissal of county prosecutor Robert McCullough. Groups that are part of the local Hands Up Don’t Shoot Coalition have already called for Wilson’s swift arrest, and some BLM riders also canvassed McCullough’s neighborhood as a way of raising the public’s awareness of the case.”core belief

Despite the evidence, including multiple autopsies, dozens of eye-witness testimonies, and forensic evidence showing that Michael Brown was not surrendering, and that he did not have his hands up, “hands up, don’t shoot” continues to be propagated.

The Washington Post reported in October 2014:

“Some of the physical evidence — including blood spatter analysis, shell casings and ballistics tests — also supports Wilson’s account of the shooting, The Post’s sources said, which casts Brown as an aggressor who threatened the officer’s life.”

In another WaPo report from October 2014:

“…one of the officer’s shots hit Brown’s forearm and traveled from the back of the arm to the inner arm, which means Brown’s palms could not have been facing Wilson, as some witnesses have said.”

blacklivesmatterDespite a grand jury choosing not to indict Darren Wilson because of insufficient evidence, and the Eric Holder Justice Department dropping its own investigation due to a lack of evidence that Officer Darren Wilson did anything wrong, “hands up, don’t shoot” is still chanted aggressively by the race-baiting liars at BLM.

In the face of all of this, BlackLivesMatter.com proudly repeats the “hands up, don’t shoot,” “arrest Darren Wilson” mantra. At this point, it’s just mob justice. We hate Darren Wilson because he’s white, and Michael Brown was black. Let’s put him in jail.

Christ himself could descend from the heavens and tell BLM protesters that Darren Wilson was not guilty of any wrongdoing, and the next day, BLM activists would appear on CNN and call Jesus a racist.

Second, on the Black Lives Matter website, they prominently feature a widely debunked statistic:

“Every 28 hours, a black man, woman, or child is murdered by police or vigilante law enforcement.”

black lives matter graphicblack-lives-matter-lolThis alleged statistic was debunked by PolitiFact. Yes, even PolitiFact, the extremely left-leaning “fact-checking” website, could not help but rate this claim false:

“[The stat comes from] a 2013 report by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement called ‘Every 28 Hours,’ which examined killings of African-Americans in 2012 by law enforcement, security guards and ‘vigilantes’ who claimed self-defense… The report is not an academic, unbiased representation of these deaths. It was put together by one volunteer researcher and details 313 deaths based on news clips and police reports…

In nine cases, police said they shot at suspects because they were charging at them from behind the wheel of a vehicle…Another case to make the list is Rudy Eugene, the Miami man who attacked a homeless man and gnawed his face before police shot him to death…

The report, which is not an academic work, reaches its conclusion by including deaths that were not at the hands of police, deaths of blacks who were armed, car accidents, and deaths of blacks who were in aggressive or hostile situations…we rate the claim ‘False.’”Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

black-lives-matter-lgbt-1024x532The statistic BLM appears to be referencing is absolutely false. Yet, BLM continues to blather on that black people are killed every 28 hours by police or “vigilantes” (whatever that means). Why? Because people don’t look into stuff like that—they just assume they’re being told the truth. So BLM gets away with telling an obvious lie.

Also, let’s examine the word “murdered.” Google defines “murder” as “the unlawful, premeditated killing of one human being by another.” In the case of BLM, the assumption is being made that every black person killed by a police officer is being “murdered.” That’s complete conjecture. They cannot know the machinations of every cop’s mind, so they cannotassume that every time a cop shoots and kills a black person, it was murder. But they do, because His Life Mattersonce again, no one cares enough to call them out on their blatant lies.

Well here I am. Black Lives Matter, you lie. You lie to advance your agenda, which serves only to undermine it. If your cause were true, and your aims righteous, it wouldn’t be necessary for you to continuously and brazenly lie. Given that, I can only conclude that you’re cause isn’t righteous. I have also concluded that you’re an infectious disease crippling our society.

I will grant you one thing, however. You do make me laugh, and that’s good for something.

The loons on the far Left continue to prove my point showing that they have no grasp ofSuicide-USA-NRD-600 the English language. For example: Illegal Aliens aren’t illegal, they just aren’t documented (even though they came here illegally.) Last I checked, there isn’t documentation for permission to enter into this country illegally. Welfare fraud isn’t fraud if you lie on the paperwork to get more money for you and your family. Apparently, lying also has levels of acceptance.

When it comes to the Obama’s and Clinton’s, well, I think at this point, if they told the truth lighting would strike, REPEATEDLY!

Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Let’s just deal with one of the more recent lies statements from Mr. Obama:stop

“Iran has agreed to the most robust and intrusive inspections and transparency regiment ever negotiated for any nuclear programs.” (Shades of Bill Clinton-isms and the North Korean agreement. Look how well that worked?) Let’s break it down, shall we? We’ll start off with some dictionary definitions:

ROBUST: capable of performing without failure under a wide range of conditions, or successful or impressive and not likely to fail or weaken.

INTRUSIVE: annoying someone by interfering with their privacy; intruding where you are not wanted or welcome.Pitiful-Deal-NRD-600

TRANSPARENCY: (Do I really need to type this one out?)If his mouth is open he must be lying

Given the fact that Obama was a “professor,” you would think he could easily understand these common English words. Now, keeping those terms in mind, which of the following would make the grade?

 1. We need to give a 24 day notice of inspections for facilities that are NOT on the list. If Iran refuses, they can appeal to the committee that they sit on and have the ability to veto a decision. FAIL!
 2. When requiring a soil sample from around facilities believed to be handling nuclear material, Iran can decide to provide the sample themselves. No inspector involved.FAIL!Iran%20UN_jpg
 3. No Americans are allowed to be part of the inspection teams. FAIL!
 4. Only inspectors approved by the Iranian Guard (secret service) are allowed to be inspectors.
 5. Iran has received, or will receive, over $100 billion in sanction money. Will they or have they taken care of their poor or sick? Will they educate their children, both boys and girls? NO! They went right to the Russians to buy weapons and delivery systems. They have been hanging with the North Koreans at all missile launches and nuclear testing. Another FAIL!
 6. The U.S. wants to require Iran to give a full accounting of its past actions. JUST before the deal was signed, Kerry said the United States already knows with certainty what Iran did in the past and that a full accounting is less important than monitoring what it does in the future. Then why did we ask for it? FAIL!Eye-Prize-600-LI
 7. Iran can’t (or isn’t supposed to) supply weapons to others, yet they have been caught selling arms to many in their region, maybe to help see the fruition of “Death to America” or “Death to Israel.”FAIL!
 8. We were told nothing of side deals. FAIL!
 9. Within 5 years they are allowed to purchase conventional weapons. Hellooo… they’re already purchasing them from Russia! FAIL!
 10. Within 10 years they will be able to purchase ballistic missiles. Newsflash, they’re already making deal with North Korea! FAIL!
 11. And this just in from the AP… Iran will be allowed to use its OWN inspectors to check out a site that is suspected of enriching weapons grade uranium. This has a fox and henhouse feel don’t you think? FAIL!

Can those on the Left really believe that a Deflated Diplomacyregime who hates us, that is breaking the same rules it says it will abide by before the ink is dry, who shouts “death to America,” is buying weapons from Russia, and learning how to make and launch nukes from North Korea can be trusted to do their own inspections? This regime plays in the same sandbox with almost every one of our enemies and openly supports terrorists. We’re trusting them, why?

Would you leave an escaped child rapist to watch your 15-year-old daughter, because heDeath to America promised to not touch her, all the while he has child porn up on his smartphone? REALLY?

As I write this, I received a Facebook message from someone calling me a “war monger” because I am against the Iran deal. Apparently, we only have 2 choices? One, sign a deal that gives Iran all the leverage and the U.S. none, or two, go to war. The Obama-Clinton camp knows how to spin.Constancy

There is a 3rd option. It was working with Iran, as it was with IranKerryRussia… sanctions, tighter sanctions, and even tighter sanctions.

But I guess if I were president and was in my last days I would give as many presents as I could to as many of my family members as possible! Who knew it would be nuclear weapons and the destruction of Israel as well as the United States?IranIraselNukes

America, we are in a world of trouble!

donald-trump2Donald Trump has catapulted to the lead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination by focusing on two popular issues:

 • Proposing the building of a wall along the Mexican border to stem the overwhelming influx of illegal immigration,
 • Attacking the Stalinesque doctrine of “political correctness” that increasingly inhibits freedom of expression in the U.S.

His approach has been very effective so far. But it’s time for Trump to open up a new offensive front.

 1. If I had his ear, as I have once or twice in the past, I would advise Trump to say, as the future president, he would refuse to raise the debt limit to force Washington to live within its means like every American family and business is forced to do. He should say that $18 trillion is too much, and that continued borrowing by the federal government is completely unsustainable. The only way to dig out of this hole is to stop borrowing, and, as president, he will not request or approve any future hike in the debt limit.
 2. He should also allay fears on Wall Street that such an action will result in a default by ensuring that Washington, under his leadership, will continue to service the existing debt.
 3. And, lastly, he should characterize this action as a great opportunity to return to constitutionally limited government by cutting government spending and programs that never should have been started in the first place.Spiraling

In 2008, I gave this same advice to a Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain. He used it in a debate and established himself as a frontrunner jfkuntil questions about his personal life forced him to retire from the race. Imagine, however, the power of Donald Trump’s voice on this critical issue in 2015. He is already the unchallenged frontrunner in the GOP race. His every utterance grabs the attention of the media. And, this proposal is radical. It is as anti-establishment as his positions on illegal immigration and political correctness. I dare say that this third major pillar in his campaign to “Make America Great, Again” would make him next to unbeatable.

I’ve been working on this anti-debt campaign since 2011, shortly after the Republicans swept into power in the House of Representatives. I called it the “No More Red Ink Campaign.” It has generated more than 1 million letters to Republican lawmakers in Washington so far. I pointed out that Republican approval was essential to Barack Obama’s plans to continue borrowing and spending without restraint. All Republicans in Congress had to do – even in just one of the two houses they control – was to say no to more borrowing. Instead, they have provided Obama all of the resources he needed to launch Obamacare, fund Planned Parenthood, grow anti-business regulatory departments like the Environmental Protection Agency, push Common Core through the Department of Education and so on.

Donald Trump, with the power of his platform, could make this issue a focus of national attention, propelling his candidacy forward injusticewith a new offensive front that would leave his competitors staggering. And, the neat thing about it? It’s the right thing to do. It makes perfect sense. It’s like a magic bullet politically. It solves the seemingly unsolvable problem of runaway growth of government, which inevitably brings with it restrictions in personal freedom and subjugates the legitimate powers of the states to Washington.

I am persuaded that, if framed properly, this issue would make the Trump campaign unstoppable. He would not only increase his support among Republican voters but win over many disillusioned Democrats the way Ronald Reagan did in 1980 and 1984.

Trump has been successful to date in this campaign because he has been bold. This is no time for him to stop. It’s time for him to expand his base by claiming the high moral ground on other big issues.Default

Like it or not, America’s spiraling, out-of-control debt is not only an issue the next president will have to deal with, it also represents a great opportunity for leadership in restoring the country’s heritage of constitutionally limited government. And it’s something the president can do singlehandedly – forcing Congress to make deep cuts in overspending, over-regulation and social engineering.

If you agree with me, make your voice heard by enlisting in the“No More Red Ink Campaign” today. And I’ll try to get the word to Donald Trump.

Robert DeKelaita outside of federal court in Chicago in September 2014.

Robert DeKelaita outside of federal court in Chicago in September 2014.

Living as a Christian in many parts of Iraq or Syria has become impossible – a one-way ticket to martyrdom at the hands of ISIS – yet it remains a near-impossible feat for these persecuted religious minorities to find refuge in America. But if you can get to America and get your case in the hands of Robert DeKelaita, your chances are greatly improved.

muslim-obamaAs it turns out, this high-powered Chicago attorney may have been a little too successful. He’s gained asylum for thousands of persecuted Christian from Iraq, Syria and Egypt, and that caught the attention of the Obama Justice Department, which is known to be no friend of Middle Eastern Christians.

DeKelaita, 52, grew up in Kirkuk in the heart of Assyria, a portion of northern Iraq that is home to one of the world’s most ancient Christian communities. Legend has it that the Apostle Thomas evangelized the long-pagan area shortly after the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. The Christians there still speak Aramaic, the language of Jesus.

After Saddam Hussein took power, DeKelaita’s family emigrated to the U.S. in 1973 and settled in the Chicago area. He was just shy of 11 years old at the time. He excelled in school, became a lawyer and vowed to use his legal skills to help his people escape religious persecution by the majority Muslims.

He’s helped reunite hundreds of families in the U.S., most of them since 2003 when the U.S. invasion and overthrow of Saddam unleashed a wave of Islamic terror against Christians that far exceeded anything that was seen under the secular Baathist regime.

The Obama administration moved against DeKelaita in September 2014, raiding his office and scooping up whatever “evidence” they could find against him. He was indicted on charges of falsifying the asylum applications of 12 clients over a 10-year period, allegedly concocting “phony claims” of religious persecution. The government has delayed his trial twice while it seeks to firm up witnesses who will testify against him.Christian Persecution

Each count of immigration fraud carries a maximum of 10 years prison and a $250,000 fine.

DeKelaita has been a pillar in the Assyrian Christian community in Chicago, founding the Ashurbanipal Library and donating to projects that celebrate Assyrian art and culture.

“Robert has been a very successful immigration lawyer for our people,” said Ramon Michael, a fellow Assyrian Christian whose family came to the U.S. about the same time as DeKelaita’s.

“I’ve known him since high school,” Michael said. “He has a passion for what he does.”

Some find it ironic that the Obama administration is going after a lawyer who helps persecuted Iraqi Christians gain asylum while it welcomed and granted cart blanch asylum for more than 68,000 unaccompanied alien children from Central America last summer.

At the same time Central Americans are being greeted with a “catch and release” policy at the border, a group of 27 Assyrian Christians who made it to the border earlier this year are being detained indefinitely.Obama-muslim-2-610x400

“The way that some of our federal judges view the plight of Christians in Iraq and the way some of the adjudicators view them, you would honestly think ‘what is wrong with these people?’” DeKelaita, who lives in a suburb of Chicago with his wife of 25 years, Ester, and two sons, told WND. “Why can’t they see what the rest of the world sees?”

He said one judge told him: “To argue that Christians in Iraq are being targeted for their religious beliefs is to appeal to either ignorance or emotion.” “That is absurd,” DeKelaita said.

Though he’s had his share of wins, it’s the losses that stick with him. Like the case in Detroit a few years ago.

“It was very disappointing to hear that judge, on Christmas Eve, deny your client asylum after his brother had just been killed in Baghdad,” DeKelaita said. “He’d owned a CD store and the Muslims felt, you know, that’s a sin, so they blew up his store and they killed several others with him.”

But the judge ruled that because one Muslim had also died in the attack that there was no targeting of Christians. It didn’t matter that seven Christians died and the owner of the store was a Christian selling Western-style music, which Muslims detest.

“I didn’t know what to say to my client,” he said. “We wished the judge a merry Christmas and just walked out of the courtroom.”War on Christians

Meanwhile, the slaughter continues in Iraq and Syria. Another 220 Assyrian families were kidnapped just last week in Syria and fears are growing that the men will face beheading, the women a life of servitude as sex slaves. Bishops in Syria and Iraq have put out desperate pleas for help, saying they feel abandoned by the West.persecution-persecuted-christians

‘Robert is our hero’

More than a few of the “lucky ones” say they owe their lives to Robert DeKelaita. “My sister and her three young children are among the Assyrian hostages in Syria. We don’t even know if they’re still alive,” said Mimi Odicho of Chicago. “Instead of trying to help save them – save these innocent people – the U.S. government is trying to take down a man who has been our people’s only hope for years. Robert is our hero. I don’t think anyone could possibly understand what he means to us.”

“I think our community finds hope in Robert,” added Narsai Oshana, also of Chicago, “because he is an attorney that is not foreign to our part of the world, to our plight and our history. He knows exactly what we have endured, because he’s lived it himself. He represented me in my asylum claim when I didn’t have any way to pay him except with thanks. That was enough for him. I will never forget that. To me, like many, Robert was light at the end of a very long, horrid tunnel. His name is known everywhere. I am forever indebted to him.”

While it detains Iraq Christian asylum seekers, the Obama administration has been welcoming thousands of Muslim refugees from jihadist hotbeds in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia, despite warnings from House Homeland Security Chair Michael McCaul, R-Texas, that some of these refugee programs may become a “jihadist pipeline” into the U.S.Obama defending muslims Two

DeKelaita, after his indictment, learned that the FBI had been investigating him since 2008, soon after Obama took office. “It seems like they have more leeway and power to do what they want and so they can,” his old high school friend, Michael, said. He points to the Obama administration’s attempt earlier this year to block an Iraqi nun from entering the country to testify before Congress on the issue of Christian persecution in the Middle East. After coverage by WND and dozens of other news outlets created a public outcry, Obama relented and issued the visa to Sister Diana Momeka.

WND also reported on Aug. 3 that the Obama-led Department of Homeland Security has detained 27 Iraqi Christian asylum seekers in California for six months, despite the fact that most of them have family who are U.S. citizens living in San Diego. “Dangerous people are allowed to come in across our borders and these people, I’d let these people babysit my kids, that’s how much I fear these people,” Michael said. “Something is up. I don’t know what, but it seems to be very anti-Christian to me.”want_rel_liberty_r

One of DeKelaita’s biggest successes was in getting a judge to strike down an outdated and inaccurate report out of Europe that insisted there was no persecution of Christians in Iraq. “This report was saying there is no persecution of Christians in Iraq and for many years they were using that to deny asylum and Robert was able to get that stopped, and that was when things started going bad for him,” Michael said. “He was able to make a pretty substantial impact if judges were no longer able to cite that report.”

DeKelaita said his business has suffered since the indictment was brought against him almost a year ago, but he has no plans to quit fighting. “I think it’s disturbing to me that a people so persecuted as the Assyrian Christians have come under such scrutiny, and especially when our involvement in Iraq bolstered the environment in which these people came under persecution from Islamic extremists,” he said.

There were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq in 2003. Little more than 200,000 remain. The Persecution has Begun

“Then they come here to escape the slaughter and we have to track them down and harass them, when they aren’t any threat to anyone,” DeKelaita said. “These are often old men, old ladies who are escaping persecution. Its’ terrible. As an American I want my government to be involved in actions that protect the security of the United States, and there are priorities, as opposed to tracking down old ladies and decent hard-working people.”Picture1

Robert DeKelaita, left, at a support rally with Assyrian Christians.

‘Proud Americans’

He said there are thousands of Assyrian and Chaldean Christians in the U.S. with cases pending before immigration courts.

A few days after his indictment, thousands turned out for a rally to show their support. An online petition at StandWithRobert.com has accumulated 1,874 signatures. “These are decent hard-working people,” he said. “In Detroit our community is a model of wealth and prosperity, in Chicago they’re very hard working people and uphold Christian values and uphold their churches and their communities and are proud Americans, and I’m proud of that. And no matter how my case turns out I will also be proud of my work. I think it can be vouched for by my clients.”

DeKelaita doesn’t make any assumptions about why he was charged or why he hasn’t been granted a speedy trial, or why after one interpreter who did work for his office pleaded guilty, another interpreter was charged. “The politics of charging people and the strategy of charging is a whole other game,” he said. “Why do you charge a person, then circle back and charge his friend, one might say it was on purpose but I can’t say that for sure. I just know I am very much looking forward to getting my trial on and I believe I will be vindicated and people will see the DOJ is not acting properly and I want this thing finished as quickly as possible.”

His Grace Bishop Mar Gewargis Younan of the diocese of Chicago Ancient Church of the East, said DeKelaita represents the very best of the American dream. “He escaped persecution as a child, and resettled in the United States. He had every reason to fail, but instead he went on to graduate from the prestigious University of Chicago and ultimately was considered the best attorney for Middle Eastern Christians,” the Bishop said. “His entire career has been aimed at giving back – to his church, to his heritage, to his people,” the bishop continued. “He is a role model for members of our community, both American-born and immigrants. I can say with confidence that every parishioner in our church has either themselves been represented by Mr. DeKelaita, or has a relative that was represented by him. When the charges were filed, the community was in outrage and disbelief, and rightfully so. There is not a single Assyrian family anywhere in Iraq or Syria that has not been directly impacted by religious persecution. The manner in which Mr. DeKelaita’s case has been approached seemingly moves to challenge this truth. We are proud of Mr. DeKelaita’s achievements, and will continue to support him during this time.”Combined
