According to Saudi’s Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Aziz al-Asheikh, both ISIS and al-Qaeda are enemy number one. I guess he couldn’t choose just one. Maybe it’s one of those 1 and 1A kinds of things.

Off topic as it is – who chooses the names for these characters anyway? Do they get to choose? If so, why must they always be so long? Could you imagine having to endorse a check or sign one of the tiny electronic keypads at the grocery store – or signing autographs for the Grand Mufti groupies? Sheesh!

Anyway, the Mufti – oh excuse me – the Grand Mufti stated emphatically that, “The ideas of extremism, radicalism and terrorism … have nothing to do with Islam and (their proponents) are the enemy number one of Islam.”

Yet about the time he was condemning the two terror groups for their barbarism, he was signing off on one of the largest mass executions in the country’s history. They executed 47 “criminals.” Among these criminals was a Shiite cleric, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr (again with the names). This did not please Shiite Iran, as response to the executions, they attacked and burned the Saudi embassy in Tehran.

No one knows exactly what their “crimes” were – only that the verdict against the “47 criminals was based on Allah’s Book and the Prophet’s Sunnah.”

The Grand Mufti, or G-Muf to his homies, claims they were tried properly according to Shariah law and found guilty of killing and making explosives. Well, that’s good enough for me, cause we can’t have anyone killing or making explosives. And I’m sure the cleric Nimrod al-Nimrod, being Shiite, where as the Saudi’s are Sunni, was just a happy coincidence.

But the 72 old Grand Mufti, complete with gray beard and gnarled eye, is evidently not without a sense of humor as he stated that not only is ISIS enemy numero uno, but that they “are in actuality Israeli soldiers.” Huh – who knew.

“This threat against Israel is simply a lie. Actually, Daesh (ISIS) is part of the Israeli soldiers,” said G-Muf. “The mufti also dismissed the seriousness of the threat declared by self-proclaimed Islamic State caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. If the Islamic State was serious, al-Asheikh said, they would be ‘killing Jews and liberating Palestine.’” He labeled the Islamic State heretics and they were doing damage to Islam and Muslims.

Well G-Muf –ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black. Sure the Saudi royal family and their holy men, like G-Muf, all publically proclaim their disgust of Islamist terror, but there’s a little thing called Wahhabism, the radical Islamic ideology that dates back a lot further than that of the Islamic State. So it’s time for another history lesson that I’ll guarantee the Grand Mufti knows all about and I also bet he’s a big booster.

The radical Wahhabi movement was founded by – here we go again – Muhammad ibn Abd al Wahhab in the 1700’s. Now, we’ve heard that terrorists like ISIS wish to return to the time of the earliest Muslims in the 7th century. Well, that’s exactly what al-Wahhab wished to do.

Al-Wahhab created the “Kitab al-Tawid” or “Book of God’s Uniqueness,” which became the “guiding text for his followers, who consequently speak of themselves as Muwahhidun (total monotheists) or as Salafis (followers of the ways of the first Muslims).”

After being run out of his home town, al- Wahhab found refuge in the city of Diriyah, north of what is now Riyadh, a city then ruled by Muhammad ibn Saud. The two had a commonality of cause and al-Wahhab agreed to help Saud fight his battles and send messengers of the faith out to spread the word and convert Muslims to Wahhabism. Of course those who refused, just as today, didn’t fare well. The messengers declared that, “King Saud, who was presented as Allah’s chosen monarch to whom all Muslims had to pledge baya, or absolute allegiance, so as not to face annihilation as foes of god.” Sound familiar?

Between 1744 and 1818 Wahhabist preachers, and the troops that backed them up, swept across the region securing the first kingdom of the House of Saud, or Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabist beliefs ran so deep that even the mighty Ottoman empire couldn’t wipe them out completely.

In 1824 the Saudi kingdom reemerged. At the throne was Emirate of Nejd, who ruled the kingdom from it’s new capital, Riyadh, between 1824 and 1891. The third Saudi kingdom started in 1932, who’s ruler, Abdulaziz ibn Saud (’32 – ’53) used Wahhabism to unite the many tribes under the Saudi umbrella.

“King Faisal ibn Abdulaziz al-Saud (ruled 1964–75) decided the propaganda of Wahhabism, which proclaims the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the sole rightful defender of Islam, would become the long-term strategy for the monarchy’s survival.”

During the Cold War, Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (ruled 1982 until his death in 2005) saw the opportunity to spread Wahhabism using weaponized jihad. During Fahd’s reign, “Saudi Arabia spent $4 billion per year on mosques, madrassas, preachers, students, and textbooks to spread the Wahhabi creed over the next decades.” But they weren’t/aren’t educating aspiring holy man. They were/are training terrorists – jihadis using Wahhabist theology and oh by the way, American supplied weapons.

And it’s no different today. The Saudis claim to be our friends and allies against terror, but the House of Saud has been quietly funding Wahhabist terror for many decades. They have created the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and ISIS and their influence is global through their funding of thousands of Mosques and Muslim Centers, where radical Wahhabist preachers recruit new jihadists. Most of the more than 1200 Mosques in the U.S. were funded by the Saudis.

The Saudis are bad people and certainly not our friends. Their radical Wahhabist ideology, while kept under wraps, is entirely incompatible with America and a free, secular society.

So when we hear old G-Muf state that extremism and terrorism are not Islam, you know for fact, he is lying his a** off.

German Officials Accused Of Covering Up Mass Sexual Assaults By Arab Mob

A group of up to 1,000 men of “Arab background” sexually assaulted dozens of women New Year’s Eve in Cologne, Germany, according to police. The assaults, however, were not confirmed for days, leading to public accusations of a cover-up. Cologne Police Chief Wolfgang Albers confirmed Monday as many as 60 reports were filed by women sexually assaulted by a large mob of “Arab or North African men” during celebrations in Cologne New Year’s Eve. Albers stated the claims were in fact true.

“There was a very large number of sexual assaults there – and in a massive way. Women were grabbed and attacked,” said Albers during a press conference Monday.”The crimes were committed by a group of people who, from appearance, were largely from the north African or Arab world.”

As many as 80 women were assaulted and robbed by the mob, according to police reports. Some women reported being encircled by large groups of men who had “fingers on every orifice.” One report claimed a woman was raped.

The several day delay of confirmation of the attacks from officials roused suspicions of a cover-up. Anabel Schunke wrote on Huffington Post’s German language site Monday accusing police officials and public media outlets of covering up the issue entirely. cause of death

The attacks appeared to be coordinated, according to a report by German news outlet The Local. One group of men allegedly threw firecrackers into a large gathering of people celebrating near a famous cathedral located in the heart of Cologne, while another group of men allegedly began sexually assaulting and robbing women while the crowds were distracted by the firecrackers. The Way This Pastor Prevented a Mass Shooting Might Surprise You

It was during the New Year’s Eve service just before midnight at a Fayetteville, North Carolina church that a man walked in with an unloaded semi-automatic rifle in one hand and a loaded magazine in the other. Incidentally, the pastor of the church had just been talking to his congregation about violence, particularly violence and mass shootings against churches in the recent past.

While the loaded magazine was not attached to the rifle, the pastor was concerned that there might be a round in the chamber.

The armed man approached the front of the sanctuary of Heal the Land Outreach Ministries where about 60 members were in attendance. The pastor Larry Wright – or, Bishop Wright as the members of his congregation call him – came to him and asked him, “Can I help you?” Pastor Wright, a rather stout 57-year-old military veteran at a couple inches over six feet and 230 pounds, said that he was ready to tackle him in case the armed man became aggressive. But the man asked that Pastor Wright pray for him. Wright took the rifle and magazine from him and gave them to a deacon. Wright and the other deacons each embraced him and made him feel loved. CNN continued with the story:

“And then I began to minister to him and pray with him and talk with him,” Wright said.

It was 20 minutes before midnight, and Wright wanted to finish the New Year’s Eve sermon and do an altar call. He told the man to sit in the front row and stay there.

“I finished the message, I did the altar call and he stood right up, came up to the altar, and gave his life to Christ,” Wright said. “I came down and prayed with him and we embraced. It was like a father embracing a son.”

Wright whispered in the man’s ear that police were waiting in the vestibule because he had scared a lot of people.

Then the man asked to speak to the 60 or so churchgoers. He apologized to them, telling them when he set out that evening he intended to do something terrible that night. But the Lord spoke to him, he said.

Wright described the gunman as emotionally distraught even though his life seemed to be on the upswing.

He told the pastor he had just gotten out of prison, had a new job and a new bride. The man looked to be in his late 20s or early 30s, Wright said.

Sylvester Loving, a 67-year-old deacon, told the Fayetteville newspaper that the church was talking about gun violence when the man entered.

“I think that night the spirit of God was definitely in the place,” Loving told the Observer.

Wright said he was talking about “senseless deaths” in the community.

Sometimes, using force is the only option we have. I don’t know if Pastor Wright carries a gun with him. Lots of pastors and churchgoers do. Churches have been the target of mass murders, and if someone were to come in shooting, a concealed carrier could take out the murderer.

But I think that the way this situation in Fayetteville unfolded is ideal. If the pastor were carrying a gun, he could have pulled it out and shot the guy and said that he was trying to keep his congregation safe, especially in the wake of other church shootings. He would be applauded for protecting his congregation.

But the man didn’t come in shooting. He said that he had intended on doing something terrible that evening but was convicted and wanted to come to church. The church loved him and took care of him. Pastor Wright has said that he wants to keep following up with the man and help him with whatever he needs. What this pastor and his church have done for this distraught man is far more valuable than what a gun would have done.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m in no way saying that we should never use guns in self-defense. That would be ridiculous. You know me better than that. There are plenty of times where it’s necessary.

But I do think that there are other times where we see an opportunity to show love and compassion toward someone we’d consider our enemy, and in those cases we should help that person. This man may have not intended on shooting up that particular church, but perhaps he was planning on doing something similar somewhere else. We don’t know. But what we do know is that this pastor took a situation that could have ended very badly and turned it into something good.

COMMENTARY: Is Obama Intentionally Destroying America Or Is He The Dumbest President Ever?

Ignorant, unfeeling, destructive: Did you recognize the current occupant of the Oval Office in that description? He is clinically delusional because he steadfastly believes the voices in his head (which may or may not be Valerie Jarret and Susan Rice) when the rest of the clear-thinking members of the American public, and a large part of the civilized world, are telling him that he’s wrong.

He continues to say that global warming or climate change, or whatever you want to call it, is the top menace to the United States. That is to say that he disregards the chants of “death to America” and the continued terrorist acts that are committed by the various factions of the enemy. Global warming, climate change, or whatever, does occur and on a daily basis, all over the world. It’s called the weather, and it is going to continue to change regardless of what mankind does.

To explain that, understand that even if the United States cut out 100% of all pollution of any type…air, water, or whatever…the other developed, and developing nations around the world are going to continue to do what they’re doing, which is polluting. It’s akin to a snowball fight, where the US is alone throwing snowballs at 40 or 50 other people and they’re throwing snowballs at us. Want to take a guess how that’s going to end? It’s only in the movies where the hero battles vastly superior odds and not only beats them, but escapes unscathed or nearly so. Wake up, America, this is not a movie script.

Do you remember the hoopla surrounding the return of Bowe Bergdahl? His parents were not only invited to the White House, where Bergdahl’s father, in full beard, and his first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th) – by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.” This is from Clare Lopez, a former CIA operations officer, a strategic policy and intelligence expert with a focus on Middle East, national defense as she reported it.

On top of that, the Army delayed the trial and the announcement of the findings. My personal belief is that Bergdahl will get the minimum sentence, maybe reduced in rank (because he certainly didn’t deserve to be promoted) and probably dishonorably discharged. Because Congress never declared war on the enemy, a firing squad is off the table for this deserter.

An Iranian missile launched, as we’re told, for practice, came about 1500 yards from our carrier, the USS Harry Truman. We signed an agreement with Iran and what did we get? Short answer: nothing. They got everything they wanted, including what most people consider the most idiotic giveaway ever…at least by this government. They can self-inspect their nuclear facilities and keep telling the rest of the world that they are only building those places for energy production. I could say it in stronger terms, but hogwash will have to do.

Lurch, or Kerry, couldn’t negotiate his way out of a paper bag if both ends were cut wide open. He is as dumb as a box of rocks. He was a bad soldier, lying about some things that supposedly happened to him. He was a bad Senator, just biding his time and waiting for “his turn” at being Secretary of State so when he retires (which can’t come soon enough) he’ll go onto the board of some university or corporation. Between Barack Hussein Obama (and I love that American name), Kerry, Valerie Jarret and Susan Rice, there isn’t a really informed person in that administration. A high school debating team could beat them, hands down.

Guys like me, of a certain age, remember when tough decisions were made by tough guys…like Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, George Patton and Chester Nimitz. The one thing that is common to all of them, and millions like them, is that they put their lives on the line for what they believed in, and that was America…when America WAS America. Oh sure, we have heroes now, Dakota Meyer, Norman Schwarzkopf, Chris Kyle and Stanley McChrystal, just to name a few…but they are, or were, hamstrung by the Rules Of Engagement promulgated by this administration. We’re so worried about being politically correct that our military cannot do its job properly. It’s war, people, it’s war…and in war innocent people are killed or wounded, no matter how hard you may try to avoid it.

You want less war? Do it right the first time and you don’t have to do it again. In my not-so-humble opinion we are fighting Islam. Period. Don’t hand me this BS about there being moderate Muslims. By their own admission by high-echelon Imams, there is ONLY Islam, no such thing as moderates. Their holy book backs that up. So, you hunt them down and you kill them. Dead people never carry a gun again. Dead people never wear a suicide vest again. Dead people never bother anyone, for anything. Make it so.

FACT SHEET: New Executive Actions to Reduce Gun Violence and Make Our Communities Safer

Gun violence has taken a heartbreaking toll on too many communities across the country. Over the past decade in America, more than 100,000 people have been killed as a result of gun violence—and millions more have been the victim of assaults, robberies, and other crimes involving a gun. Many of these crimes were committed by people who never should have been able to purchase a gun in the first place. Over the same period, hundreds of thousands of other people in our communities committed suicide with a gun and nearly half a million people suffered other gun injuries. Hundreds of law enforcement officers have been shot to death protecting their communities. And too many children are killed or injured by firearms every year, often by accident. The vast majority of Americans—including the vast majority of gun owners—believe we must take sensible steps to address these horrible tragedies.

The President and Vice President are committed to using every tool at the Administration’s disposal to reduce gun violence. Some of the gaps in our country’s gun laws can only be fixed through legislation, which is why the President continues to call on Congress to pass the kind of commonsense gun safety reforms supported by a majority of the American people. And while Congress has repeatedly failed to take action and pass laws that would expand background checks and reduce gun violence, today, building on the significant steps that have already been taken over the past several years, the Administration is announcing a series of commonsense executive actions designed to:

Keep guns out of the wrong hands through background checks.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is making clear that it doesn’t matter where you conduct your business—from a store, at gun shows, or over the Internet: If you’re in the business of selling firearms, you must get a license and conduct background checks.

ATF is finalizing a rule to require background checks for people trying to buy some of the most dangerous weapons and other items through a trust, corporation, or other legal entity.
Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch has sent a letter to States highlighting the importance of receiving complete criminal history records and criminal dispositions, information on persons disqualified because of a mental illness, and qualifying crimes of domestic violence.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is overhauling the background check system to make it more effective and efficient. The envisioned improvements include processing background checks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and improving notification of local authorities when certain prohibited persons unlawfully attempt to buy a gun. The FBI will hire more than 230 additional examiners and other staff to help process these background checks.

Make our communities safer from gun violence.

The Attorney General convened a call with U.S. Attorneys around the country to direct federal prosecutors to continue to focus on smart and effective enforcement of our gun laws.

The President’s FY2017 budget will include funding for 200 new ATF agents and investigators to help enforce our gun laws.

ATF has established an Internet Investigation Center to track illegal online firearms trafficking and is dedicating $4 million and additional personnel to enhance the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network.

ATF is finalizing a rule to ensure that dealers who ship firearms notify law enforcement if their guns are lost or stolen in transit.

The Attorney General issued a memo encouraging every U.S. Attorney’s Office to renew domestic violence outreach efforts.

Increase mental health treatment and reporting to the background check system.

The Administration is proposing a new $500 million investment to increase access to mental health care.

The Social Security Administration has indicated that it will begin the rulemaking process to include information in the background check system about beneficiaries who are prohibited from possessing a firearm for mental health reasons.

The Department of Health and Human Services is finalizing a rule to remove unnecessary legal barriers preventing States from reporting relevant information about people prohibited from possessing a gun for specific mental health reasons.

Shape the future of gun safety technology.

The President has directed the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Homeland Security to conduct or sponsor research into gun safety technology.

The President has also directed the departments to review the availability of smart gun technology on a regular basis, and to explore potential ways to further its use and development to more broadly improve gun safety.

Congress should support the President’s request for resources for 200 new ATF agents and investigators to help enforce our gun laws, as well as a new $500 million investment to address mental health issues.

Because we all must do our part to keep our communities safe, the Administration is also calling on States and local governments to do all they can to keep guns out of the wrong hands and reduce gun violence. It is also calling on private-sector leaders to follow the lead of other businesses that have taken voluntary steps to make it harder for dangerous individuals to get their hands on a gun. In the coming weeks, the Administration will engage with manufacturers, retailers, and other private-sector leaders to explore what more they can do.

New Actions by the Federal Government

Keeping Guns Out of the Wrong Hands Through Background Checks

The most important thing we can do to prevent gun violence is to make sure those who would commit violent acts cannot get a firearm in the first place. The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), which was created by Congress to prevent guns from being sold to prohibited individuals, is a critical tool in achieving that goal. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the background check system has prevented more than 2 million guns from getting into the wrong hands. We know that making the system more efficient, and ensuring that it has all appropriate records about prohibited purchasers, will help enhance public safety. Today, the Administration is announcing the following executive actions to ensure that all gun dealers are licensed and run background checks, and to strengthen the background check system itself:

Clarify that it doesn’t matter where you conduct your business—from a store, at gun shows, or over the Internet: If you’re in the business of selling firearms, you must get a license and conduct background checks. Background checks have been shown to keep guns out of the wrong hands, but too many gun sales—particularly online and at gun shows—occur without basic background checks. Today, the Administration took action to ensure that anyone who is “engaged in the business” of selling firearms is licensed and conducts background checks on their customers. Consistent with court rulings on this issue, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has clarified the following principles:
- A person can be engaged in the business of dealing in firearms regardless of the location in which firearm transactions are conducted. For example, a person can be engaged in the business of dealing in firearms even if the person only conducts firearm transactions at gun shows or through the Internet. Those engaged in the business of dealing in firearms who utilize the Internet or other technologies must obtain a license, just as a dealer whose business is run out of a traditional brick-and-mortar store.
- Quantity and frequency of sales are relevant indicators. There is no specific threshold number of firearms purchased or sold that triggers the licensure requirement. But it is important to note that even a few transactions, when combined with other evidence, can be sufficient to establish that a person is “engaged in the business.” For example, courts have upheld convictions for dealing without a license when as few as two firearms were sold or when only one or two transactions took place, when other factors also were present.
- There are criminal penalties for failing to comply with these requirements. A person who willfully engages in the business of dealing in firearms without the required license is subject to criminal prosecution and can be sentenced up to five years in prison and fined up to $250,000. Dealers are also subject to penalties for failing to conduct background checks before completing a sale.

Require background checks for people trying to buy some of the most dangerous weapons and other items through a trust or corporation. The National Firearms Act imposes restrictions on sales of some of the most dangerous weapons, such as machine guns and sawed-off shotguns. But because of outdated regulations, individuals have been able to avoid the background check requirement by applying to acquire these firearms and other items through trusts, corporations, and other legal entities. In fact, the number of these applications has increased significantly over the years—from fewer than 900 applications in the year 2000 to more than 90,000 applications in 2014. ATF is finalizing a rule that makes clear that people will no longer be able to avoid background checks by buying NFA guns and other items through a trust or corporation.

Ensure States are providing records to the background check system, and work cooperatively with jurisdictions to improve reporting. Congress has prohibited specific categories of people from buying guns—from convicted felons to users of illegal drugs to individuals convicted of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence. In the wake of the shootings at Virginia Tech in 2007, Congress also created incentives for States to make as many relevant records as possible accessible to NICS. Over the past three years, States have increased the number of records they make accessible by nearly 70 percent. To further encourage this reporting, the Attorney General has written a letter to States highlighting the importance of receiving complete criminal history records and criminal dispositions, information on persons disqualified for mental health reasons, and qualifying crimes of domestic violence. The Administration will begin a new dialogue with States to ensure the background check system is as robust as possible, which is a public safety imperative.

Make the background check system more efficient and effective. In 2015, NICS received more than 22.2 million background check requests, an average of more than 63,000 per day. By law, a gun dealer can complete a sale to a customer if the background check comes back clean or has taken more than three days to complete. But features of the current system, which was built in the 1990s, are outdated. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will take the following steps to ensure NICS operates more efficiently and effectively to keep guns out of the wrong hands:
- FBI will hire more than 230 additional NICS examiners and other staff members to assist with processing mandatory background checks. This new hiring will begin immediately and increase the existing workforce by 50 percent. This will reduce the strain on the NICS system and improve its ability to identify dangerous people who are prohibited from buying a gun before the transfer of a firearm is completed.
- FBI has partnered with the U.S. Digital Service (USDS) to modernize NICS. Although NICS has been routinely upgraded since its launch in 1998, the FBI is committed to making the system more efficient and effective, so that as many background checks as possible are fully processed within the three-day period before a dealer can legally sell a gun even if a background check is not complete. The improvements envisioned by FBI and USDS include processing background checks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to improve overall response time and improving notification of local authorities when certain prohibited persons unlawfully attempt to purchase a firearm.

Making Our Communities Safer from Gun Violence

In order to improve public safety, we need to do more to ensure smart and effective enforcement of our gun laws and make sure that criminals and other prohibited persons cannot get their hands on lost or stolen weapons. The Administration is therefore taking the following actions:

Ensure smart and effective enforcement of our gun laws. In a call earlier today, the Attorney General discussed the importance of today’s announcements and directed the Nation’s 93 U.S. Attorneys across the country to continue to focus their resources—as they have for the past several years under the Department’s Smart on Crime initiative—on the most impactful cases, including those targeting violent offenders, illegal firearms traffickers, and dangerous individuals who bypass the background check system to acquire weapons illegally. During the call, the Attorney General also emphasized ongoing initiatives to assist communities in combating violent crime, including ATF’s efforts to target the “worst of the worst” gun crimes. These efforts will also complement the following actions announced today:
- The President’s budget for FY2017 will include funding for 200 new ATF agents and investigators who can help enforce our gun laws, including the measures announced today. Strategic and impactful enforcement will help take violent criminals off the street, deter other unlawful activity, and prevent guns from getting into the wrong hands.
- ATF is dedicating $4 million and additional personnel to enhance the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN). The NIBIN database includes ballistic evidence that can be used by analysts and investigators to link violent crimes across jurisdictions and to track down shooters who prey on our communities. In February 2016, ATF is standing up the National NIBIN Correlation and Training Center—which will ultimately provide NIBIN matching services at one national location, rather than requiring local police departments to do that work themselves. The Center will provide consistent and capable correlation services, making connections between ballistic crime scene evidence and crime guns locally, regionally, and nationally. These enhancements will support ATF’s crime gun intelligence and enforcement efforts, particularly in communities most affected by violent crime.
- ATF has established an Internet Investigations Center (IIC) staffed with federal agents, legal counsel, and investigators to track illegal online firearms trafficking and to provide actionable intelligence to agents in the field. The IIC has already identified a number of significant traffickers operating over the Internet. This work has led to prosecutions against individuals or groups using the “dark net” to traffic guns to criminals or attempting to buy firearms illegally online.

Ensure that dealers notify law enforcement about the theft or loss of their guns. Under current law, federal firearms dealers and other licensees must report when a gun from their inventory has been lost or stolen. The regulations are ambiguous, however, about who has this responsibility when a gun is lost or stolen in transit. Many lost and stolen guns end up being used in crimes. Over the past five years, an average of 1,333 guns recovered in criminal investigations each year were traced back to a licensee that claimed it never received the gun even though it was never reported lost or stolen either. Today, ATF issued a final rule clarifying that the licensee shipping a gun is responsible for notifying law enforcement upon discovery that it was lost or stolen in transit.

Issue a memo directing every U.S. Attorney’s Office to renew domestic violence outreach efforts. In the event of an emergency, victims of domestic violence should call 911 or otherwise contact state or local law enforcement officials, who have a broader range of options for responding to these crimes. To provide an additional resource for state, local, and tribal law enforcement and community groups focused on domestic violence, the Attorney General is issuing a memo directing U.S. Attorney’s Offices around the country to engage in renewed efforts to coordinate with these groups to help combat domestic violence and to prevent prohibited persons from obtaining firearms.

Increase Mental Health Treatment and Reporting to the Background Check System

The Administration is committed to improving care for Americans experiencing mental health issues. In the last seven years, our country has made extraordinary progress in expanding mental health coverage for millions of Americans. This includes the Affordable Care Act’s end to insurance company discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, required coverage of mental health and substance use disorder services in the individual and small group markets, and an expansion of mental health and substance use disorder parity policies, all of which are estimated to help more than 60 million Americans. About 13.5 million more Americans have gained Medicaid coverage since October 2013, significantly improving access to mental health care. And thanks to more than $100 million in funding from the Affordable Care Act, community health centers have expanded behavioral health services for nearly 900,000 people nationwide over the past two years. We must continue to remove the stigma around mental illness and its treatment—and make sure that these individuals and their families know they are not alone. While individuals with mental illness are more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators, incidents of violence continue to highlight a crisis in America’s mental health system. In addition to helping people get the treatment they need, we must make sure we keep guns out of the hands of those who are prohibited by law from having them. Today, the Administration is announcing the following steps to help achieve these goals:

Dedicate significant new resources to increase access to mental health care. Despite our recent significant gains, less than half of children and adults with diagnosable mental health problems receive the treatment they need. To address this, the Administration is proposing a new $500 million investment to help engage individuals with serious mental illness in care, improve access to care by increasing service capacity and the behavioral health workforce, and ensure that behavioral health care systems work for everyone. This effort would increase access to mental health services to protect the health of children and communities, prevent suicide, and promote mental health as a top priority.

Include information from the Social Security Administration in the background check system about beneficiaries who are prohibited from possessing a firearm. Current law prohibits individuals from buying a gun if, because of a mental health issue, they are either a danger to themselves or others or are unable to manage their own affairs. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has indicated that it will begin the rulemaking process to ensure that appropriate information in its records is reported to NICS. The reporting that SSA, in consultation with the Department of Justice, is expected to require will cover appropriate records of the approximately 75,000 people each year who have a documented mental health issue, receive disability benefits, and are unable to manage those benefits because of their mental impairment, or who have been found by a state or federal court to be legally incompetent. The rulemaking will also provide a mechanism for people to seek relief from the federal prohibition on possessing a firearm for reasons related to mental health.

Remove unnecessary legal barriers preventing States from reporting relevant information to the background check system. Although States generally report criminal history information to NICS, many continue to report little information about individuals who are prohibited by Federal law from possessing or receiving a gun for specific mental health reasons. Some State officials raised concerns about whether such reporting would be precluded by the Privacy Rule issued under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Today, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a final rule expressly permitting certain HIPAA covered entities to provide to the NICS limited demographic and other necessary information about these individuals.

Shaping the Future of Gun Safety Technology

Tens of thousands of people are injured or killed by firearms every year—in many cases by guns that were sold legally but then stolen, misused, or discharged accidentally. Developing and promoting technology that would help prevent these tragedies is an urgent priority. America has done this in many other areas—from making cars safer to improving the tablets and phones we use every day. We know that researchers and engineers are already exploring ideas for improving gun safety and the tracing of lost or stolen guns. Millions of dollars have already been invested to support research into concepts that range from fingerprint scanners to radio-frequency identification to microstamping technology.

As the single largest purchaser of firearms in the country, the Federal Government has a unique opportunity to advance this research and ensure that smart gun technology becomes a reality—and it is possible to do so in a way that makes the public safer and is consistent with the Second Amendment. Today, the President is taking action to further this work in the following way:

Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security to take two important steps to promote smart gun technology.
- Increase research and development efforts. The Presidential Memorandum directs the departments to conduct or sponsor research into gun safety technology that would reduce the frequency of accidental discharge or unauthorized use of firearms, and improve the tracing of lost or stolen guns. Within 90 days, these agencies must prepare a report outlining a research-and-development strategy designed to expedite the real-world deployment of such technology for use in practice.
- Promote the use and acquisition of new technology. The Presidential Memorandum also directs the departments to review the availability of smart gun technology on a regular basis, and to explore potential ways to further its use and development to more broadly improve gun safety. In connection with these efforts, the departments will consult with other agencies that acquire firearms and take appropriate steps to consider whether including such technology in specifications for acquisition of firearms would be consistent with operational needs.

Commentary: Changing 2016

What will 2016 be like? Will America decide to continue upon the path of narcissism and self-destruction or will we finally declare that enough is enough and take our country back? Will our churches decide to put the focus back on Kingdom work or are we still going to throw all our resources into buildings and parking lots? Will the conservative majority in Congress continue to capitulate to liberals or will they decide to honor those who gave them the majority by governing with a conscience? Will the Christian majority in this country continue to wish somebody would do something about Planned Parenthood, an IRS that doesn’t answer to anybody when it is caught breaking the law, and officials across the nation who flaunt their disdain for the First and Second Amendments? Or, will we quit our whining and “fight the good fight of faith”?

Let me share with you three things the body of Christ is going to have to do if we are to be have any positive impact on 2016.

First, we are going to have to reintroduce ourselves to prayer.

I’m not talking about obligatory prayers over food, worship services, and sick people (I am not suggesting those are unimportant or irrelevant). I’m talking about the kind of commitment to prayer that Jesus and the Apostles had. I’m talking about availing ourselves to God so that the Holy Spirit can do what Romans 8:26 promises. I’m talking about a commitment to praying not only for our perceived wants and needs but extolling and exalting the majesty and holiness of God (“hallowed by thy name”!). I’m talking about a willingness to energize prayer with fasting. I’m talking about such a commitment to prayer that you wished you were the one who said, “God does nothing but in answer to prayer” instead of John Wesley. We all know how important faith is (Hebrews 11:6) but we need to understand that prayer is more often than not the voice and expression of faith. We simply cannot legitimately hope for change in ourselves, our nation, or our world if we continue to treat prayer as a passing thought or an obligatory exercise of religiosity. I don’t guarantee much because I’m not in charge but I feel more than comfortable saying that if you will commit to the kind of prayer I’m talking about, God will shake your world! But you need to know this: if were as simple as it sounds we would all be praying powerful prayers for hours each day.

Second, we need to have a plan; personally and corporately (to the extent we can come into agreement with others).

Life has shown me that most sports teams do a better job of having a stated vision, setting goals, and creating an environment to bring them to fruition than most Christians or churches have about matters that are of far greater importance. My daughter plays collegiate fast pitch softball. From the time she started playing T-ball to college it was drilled into her head that when you are out on the field know exactly what you are going to do if the ball is hit to you. I cannot tell you how many times throughout her career a ball would be hit to a teammate and that player would stand there with arm cocked back…waiting and trying to decide where to throw it. Indecision is the fruit of being unprepared. The majority of churches I’ve been a part of either didn’t bother with creating a vision and setting goals accordingly or went through the motion of setting goals but left off any measure of accountability. And when the ball was hit they stood looking like that player who wasn’t expecting it in the first place not knowing what to do with it. Why are we like this? Look at the paragraph above this one and you’ll know. When we don’t commit to fervent prayer there is really no way we can have a passion for Kingdom work.

Third, “Just Do It.”

It’s a shame that a footwear company seems to have a better grasp of how to get results than the entire Body of Christ. Almost all Christians know what the book of James says about faith without works. Yet we continue to talk a big talk and feel no guilt about letting others do the heavy lifting in our faith walk. Let the preachers do the preaching, the missionaries do the evangelizing, and the seminaries do the training. American culture is unapologetically embracing evil (abortion, homosexuality, entitlements, hedonism, pornography, etc.). And how many pulpits are responding to the normalization of these and other sins with “Thus saith the Lord…”?

And of the few that are, how many of the parishioners are spreading the word, burning up the phone lines to their elected officials, and speaking up and out publicly about these and other issues concerning morality and spirituality? If there is any hope in turning things around it rests on the willingness of Christians to engage their spiritual enemies without reservation or apology. Going to church on Sunday when you’ve not spent time in serious prayer or otherwise lifted a finger (uttered a word of protest, waved your arms in the universal signal to stop, or conveyed to anyone in any meaningful way that God cannot be pleased with the moral or spiritual climate of America) is the height of hypocrisy. American churchgoers’ had better take heed to Matthew 7:21-27. Those who do not “do” are not entitled to the rewards of faithfulness no matter how often they called Him “Lord” or how many church services they attended.

Year after year we supposedly take stock of the year just ended and hear optimistic speeches and sermons about the opportunities of the new year. Yet very little seems to change. The American church continues to decline in number and vitality and the issues of morality (sins) that should be addressed by a unified voice from Christianity continue to grow more and more bold and prevalent. Why? The Church keeps waiting on a magic bullet. A new book. A new voice. A new megachurch pastor.

We have bought hook, line, and sinker into society’s cleverly disguised self-idolatry. It’s all about me. “You deserve a break today.” Get the most for the least. Luxury. Style. Comfort. Take it. The three actions I have suggested we take if we want to get results beyond our wildest expectations are not novel, trendy, or new. It didn’t take a theological giant to unpack and decode the biblical data. Pray, plan, and execute. It is a consistent theme throughout Scripture. But as simple as it sounds (and is) it takes a tremendous amount of commitment. Have you tried to pray for a half an hour straight lately? Visioning, setting goals, and working out their implementation is a challenging and time consuming affair. And following through with the work? Yeah, that usually gets consumed with work and family issues because they take priority, right?

Do you see what I mean? We seem to have lost the will and stamina to do what we know to do. Jesus didn’t say “Waltz right through that gateway to eternal life” did He? No, He said, “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able” (Luke 13:24). Strive to pray faithfully. Strive to develop a godly vision and the means to implement it. Strive to be a doer and not only a hearer. Strive as if your very soul and eternal life depend upon it…because they do.

Hillary Clinton in 2015 must really loathe the Hillary Clinton who lived in the White House in the 1990’s.

During an interview last week, Hillary Clinton told the online outlet Refinery 29 that women who report instances of sexual assault must be “heard and believed.” Otherwise, Clinton said, those women may feel pressured to keep quiet:

You know, first of all, there needs to be a decision in our country and on every college campus that any woman who reports an assault should be heard and believed, and there should be a process that is in place — not made up every time that something like this happens — to examine what she is saying, to begin to hear from people to make some kind of decision that is viewed as fair to everybody, because it does need to be fair to everybody. But many women like her feel that they are basically being asked to remain silent. That nobody wants to hear from them, that nobody wants to believe them, and nobody wants to have the comprehensive services that they need.

Clinton’s remarks reflect the consensus of many feminists who believe activities like examining evidence and interviewing witnesses before pronouncing guilt are tantamount to denying that rape exists. Granted, it’s a view completely at odds with the foundational American legal principle of “innocent until proven guilty,” but it’s one held by a vocal segment of the Democratic party’s base.

That’s not what makes Hillary Clinton’s new position on sexual assault claims so fascinating, however. No, it’s her attitude in the 1990’s towards multiple women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault and misconduct that makes Hillary’s new view so intriguing. Back then, when she was doing her best to run interference for Bill, Hillary most certainly did not believe that sexual assault survivors should be “heard and believed.” Oh, no. The policy back then was that women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault were to be immediately slimed and shamed.

Most people have heard of Monica Lewinsky, Bill Clinton’s intern paramour whom Hillary once characterized as a “narcissistic loony toon.” Lesser known to those who didn’t follow politics in the 1990’s are names like Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones, and Gennifer Flowers.

Willey has maintained for decades that Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her in the oval office in 1993. According to Willey, Hillary went out of her way to enable Bill’s predatory behavior by attacking his victims:

“She enabled his behavior. It’s as simple as that. She looks the other way,” Willey told radio host Aaron Klein on Sunday. “She might throw a tantrum, but she enabled it to happen again and again and again and again. And then she chooses to go after the women that he hooks up with, to ruin them again and again and again and again. And that’s how it works.”

Then there’s Juanita Broaddrick, who claimed that Bill Clinton violently raped her in a hotel room in 1978:

Juanita Broaddrick told her story to a national television audience last night, saying she did not tell authorities 21 years ago of her contention that Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her because “I just don’t think anyone would have believed me.”

In a gripping account punctuated by sobs, the Arkansas woman told “Dateline NBC” that in her Little Rock hotel room, Clinton suddenly “turned me around and started kissing me, and that was a real shock. I first pushed him away. I just told him ‘no.’ . . . He tries to kiss me again. He starts biting on my lip. . . . And then he forced me down on the bed. I just was very frightened. I tried to get away from him. I told him ‘no.’ . . . He wouldn’t listen to me.”

But Broaddrick could not remember the date, even the month, of the alleged 1978 incident. And NBC’s Lisa Myers reported that Broaddrick, a volunteer in Clinton’s first gubernatorial campaign, attended a Clinton fund-raiser three weeks later. “I think I was still in denial,” Broaddrick said. “I still felt very guilty at that time, that it was my fault. By letting him come to the room, I had given him the wrong idea.”

Asked about Broaddrick’s allegation at a news conference earlier in the day, President Clinton said: “Well, my counsel has made a statement about the . . . issue, and I have nothing to add to it.” Attorney David E. Kendall’s statement called the charge “absolutely false.”

If the name David Kendall looks familiar, it’s because it is. Kendall is now Hillary Clinton’s personal attorney working to prevent her from being charged for mishandling of classified information related to her secret unsanctioned e-mail server.

Unsurprisingly, Broaddrick holds a dim view of Hillary Clinton, due in large part to Hillary’s efforts to make her shut up about the whole Bill Clinton/rape thing. Here’s an excerpt from an open letter Broaddrick wrote to Hillary during the former first lady’s first Senate run in 2000:

I had obligated myself to be at this rally prior to my being assaulted by your husband in April, 1978. I had made up my mind to make an appearance and then leave as soon as the two of you arrived. This was a big mistake, but I was still in a state of shock and denial. You had questioned the gentleman who drove you and Mr. Clinton from the airport. You asked him about me and if I would be at the gathering. Do you remember? You told the driver, “Bill has talked so much about Juanita”, and that you were so anxious to meet me. Well, you wasted no time. As soon as you entered the room, you came directly to me and grabbed my hand. Do you remember how you thanked me, saying “we want to thank you for everything that you do for Bill”. At that point, I was pretty shaken and started to walk off. Remember how you kept a tight grip on my hand and drew closer to me? You repeated your statement, but this time with a coldness and look that I have seen many times on television in the last eight years. You said, “Everything you do for Bill”. You then released your grip and I said nothing and left the gathering.

What did you mean, Hillary? Were you referring to my keeping quiet about the assault I had suffered at the hands of your husband only two weeks before? Were you warning me to continue to keep quiet? We both know the answer to that question.

Then there’s Paula Jones, whose sexual harassment suit against Bill Clinton eventually led to his impeachment and disbarment. How did Team Clinton respond to Jones’s allegations of sexual assault? Did they act as though she had a right to be “heard and believed?” Hardly. Instead of treating Paula Jones with care and compassion, long-time Clinton family confidante and current Hillary Clinton surrogate James Carville implied that Jones was nothing more than a trailer park prostitute.

“If you drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find,” he said at the time. Carville even went so far as to set up a web site for the exclusive purpose of personally smearing Paula Jones and other Clinton victims and skeptics.

And if you’re wondering where Carville learned to do awful things like that, he apparently learned by watching Hillary Clinton. Here’s how Slate of all places describes Hillary’s history of silencing alleged victims of sexual assault:

According to Carl Bernstein’s A Woman in Charge, as her husband prepared to run for president, she pushed to get sworn statements from women he’d been rumored to have been involved with, statements in which they were supposed to say they’d had no relationship with him. She even interviewed one of these women herself, at her law firm. She also led efforts to undermine Gennifer Flowers, whom she referred to as “trailer trash.”

Do any of these examples paint a portrait of a woman with a heart for sexual assault victims? Or do they instead provide a sketch of a woman hellbent on acquiring and maintaining power at all costs? Partyof Deceit Spin and Lies

Who knows, though. Maybe Hillary really has changed. Maybe she really does believe that women who make allegations of sexual assault actually deserve to be listened to. Maybe Hillary truly believes that it should now be automatically assumed that all sexual assault victims are telling the truth.

Thankfully, there’s an easy way to figure out if she’s had a sincere change of heart. Her answer to a simple yes or no question, if any in the media dare ask it in her presence, can instantly clear up all the confusion surrounding Hillary’s new sexual assault policy. Here’s the question for Hillary Clinton that could put the issue to rest for good.

This is sad and tragic — and should be a warning to all parents of toddlers about this common household item.

A two-year-old girl in rural Oklahoma died two days after Christmas and doctors say a battery smaller than the size of a coin is likely to blame.

Brianna Florer’s grandfather Kent Vice tells The Oklahoman that his granddaughter had not been feeling well for the past few days on Sunday, and had been registering a low grade fever.

The toddler’s parents, Brian and Stephanie Florer, called an ambulance when their daughter started throwing up blood and turned blue.

Little Brianna was rushed to a hospital in Tulsa where she immediately went into surgery, but she later died.

An x-ray revealed she had swallowed a small button battery.

‘They operated on her for 2 hours, but they couldn’t stop the bleeding,’ he said. ‘They believed the battery ate through to her carotid artery by way of her esophagus.’

While the loafer-in-chief gallivanted around Hawaii over the Christmas holiday, his administration found yet another way to throw American workers under the bus.

The White House continues to push extraordinary administrative measures and executive orders on behalf of the rest of the world’s workers.

A massive proposed rule, published in the Federal Register on New Year’s Eve, “would provide various benefits” to immigrant workers, “high-skilled” foreign guest workers on H-1B visas, and foreign college graduates to guarantee them “greater stability and job flexibility”—along with guaranteeing fast-track, “automatic extensions” of alien work permits (employment authorization documents, or EADS) for foreigners admitted under 15 categories, including:

Aliens admitted as refugees.
Aliens granted asylum.
Aliens admitted as parents or dependent children of aliens granted permanent residence under section 101(a)(27)(I) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(27)(I). See 8 CFR 274a.12(a)(7).
Aliens admitted to the United States as citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia or the Marshall Islands pursuant to agreements between the United States and the former trust territories.
Aliens granted withholding of deportation or removal.
Aliens granted Temporary Protected Status (TPS) (regardless of the employment authorization category on their current EADs).
Aliens who have properly filed applications for TPS [Temporary Protected Status, a fraud-ridden permanent amnesty program for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from around the world] and who have been deemed prima facie eligible for TPS under 8 CFR 244.10(a) and have received an EAD as a “temporary treatment benefit” under 8 CFR 244.10(e) and 274a.12(c)(19).
Aliens who have properly filed applications for asylum or withholding of deportation or removal.
Aliens who have filed applications for adjustment of status under section 245 of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1255 [another rolling amnesty program for illegal aliens.]
Aliens who have filed applications for suspension of deportation under section 244 of the INA (as it existed prior to April 1, 1997), cancellation of removal pursuant to section 240A of the INA, or special rule cancellation of removal under section 309(f)(1) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.
Aliens who have filed applications for creation of record of lawful admission for permanent residence.
Aliens who have properly filed legalization applications pursuant to section 210 of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1160. 81
Aliens who have properly filed legalization applications pursuant to section 245A of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1255a.
Aliens who have filed applications for adjustment pursuant to section 1104 of the LIFE Act.
Aliens who are the principal beneficiaries or qualified children of approved VAWA self-petitioners, under the employment authorization category “(c)(31)” in the form instructions to the Application for Employment Authorization (Form I-765).

As thousands of America’s best and brightest technology students are being replaced en masse by cheap foreign labor through H-1B and other conduits (see my book Sold Out, co-authored by John Miano who is challenging bipartisan regulatory immigration expansions on multiple fronts), the White House continues to push extraordinary administrative measures and executive orders on behalf of the rest of the world’s workers.

Remember: This open-borders administration employed administrative fiat to open the floodgates for a total of 5.5 million employment documents for illegal alien parents and their children.

After lower court judge Andrew Hanen issued his initial injunction last year against the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program—which granted illegal immigrant parents with children born in the United States the right to remain in the United States and work—Obama bureaucrats defiantly violated it anyway and issued 2,000 more work permits to people here illegally.

That’s in addition to the executive expansion of the Optional Practical Training program, through which 560,000 foreign “students” have been authorized to work in the U.S. As John and I point out, it may well be America’s largest de facto guest-worker program, yet it has never been authorized by Congress. This backdoor H-1B visa increase allows foreign students to work with little monitoring, no wage protections, no payment of Social Security payroll taxes and no requirement for employers to demonstrate labor market shortages.

…that’s on top of the Obama/GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan-approved quadrupling of the H-2B visas.

Moreover, Obama last year unilaterally started allowing upwards of 180,000 spouses of H-1B workers (H-4 visa holders) to work in the United States immediately and 55,000 a year in subsequent years. In April 2015, John and the Immigration Reform Law Institute filed another federal lawsuit in D.C. challenging President Obama’s arbitrary and capricious regulatory expansion of work authorizations for H-1B workers’ spouses (classified as H-4 visa holders). The plaintiff, Save Jobs USA, is a group of former Southern California Edison employees who were forced to train their foreign guest-worker replacements before being laid off.

And that’s on top of the Obama/GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan–approved quadrupling of the H-2B visas for up to 264,000 low-skilled foreign laborers included in the House omnibus bill.

If only Washington bent over backwards for America’s workers as vigorously as it does for every last willing worker from outside our tattered borders.

On January 3 Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump used a Facebook post to call out Hillary Clinton’s hypocrisy in telling the American people that guns “don’t keep you safe” while simultaneously surrounding herself with “heavily armed bodyguards.”

On December 19 Breitbart News reported that Clinton reacted to the surge in gun sales that followed the San Bernardino terror attack by saying, “Guns, in and of themselves…will not make Americans safer.” She then listed the number of gun-related deaths each year in a way that appeared to suggest guns actually make America less safe.

On January 3 Trump responded with: “Hillary said that guns don’t keep you safe. If she really believes that she should demand that her heavily armed bodyguards quickly disarm!”

On January 25th, 2006, while at the Sundance film festival, screening “An Inconvenient Truth”, Al Gore said this aschronicled in an article by CBS News:

The former vice president came to town for the premiere of “An Inconvenient Truth,” a documentary chronicling what has become his crusade since losing the 2000 presidential election: Educating the masses that global warming is about to toast our ecology and our way of life.

Gore has been saying it for decades, since a college class in the 1960s convinced him that greenhouse gases from oil, coal and other carbon emissions were trapping the sun’s heat in the atmosphere, resulting in a glacial meltdown that could flood much of the planet.

Americans have been hearing it for decades, wavering between belief and skepticism that it all may just be a natural part of Earth’s cyclical warming and cooling phases.

And politicians and corporations have been ignoring the issue for decades, to the point that unless drastic measures to reduce greenhouse gases are taken within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return, Gore said.

He sees the situation as “a true planetary emergency.”

“If you accept the truth of that, then nothing else really matters that much,” Gore said in an interview with The Associated Press. “We have to organize quickly to come up with a coherent and really strong response, and that’s what I’m devoting myself to.”

Well, the 10 years are about up, by now, warming should have reached “planetary emergency levels” Let’s look at the data:

As you can see, little has changed since 2006. Note the spike in 1998, in the 18 years since the great El Niño of 97/98, that hasn’t been matched, and thecurrent one we are in isn’t stronger, and looks to be on the way to decaying. So much for the“monster” El Niño.

Dr. John Christyrecently wrote of the satellite record since 1979:

While a 0.12 C trend isn’t exactly a sprint to climate catastrophe (the 1.2 C or 2.2 degrees F rise over 100 years would be roughly equal to the warming seen most spring days between 10 a.m. and noon), it nonetheless has been a steady trend for the past several years. Take away the random variations caused by warm and cold weather systems, and any long-term trend, no matter how small, will produce climate records on a regular basis. Add to that long-term warming the additional heat of a large El Niño, and record-setting monthly average temperatures should be both routine and expected.

Despite that, early indications are that 2015 will end as the third warmest year in the satellite temperature record, behind 1998 and 2010. That is the early indication. Typically, the warmest temperatures are seen in the second year of an El Niño warming event, although there have been exceptions. If the typical pattern holds true, the second year of the current El Niño would be expected to bring more record high temperatures in 2016, perhaps including a new record high temperature for the year.

The fastest warming place on Earth over the past 37 years has been in the Arctic Ocean north of the Svalbard archipelago, where temperatures have been rising 0.5 C (about 0.9 degrees F) per decade. The fastest cooling spot was over the eastern Antarctic near Dome C. Temperatures there have been falling at the rate of 0.41 C (about 0.74 degrees F) per decade.

Of course, proponents of climatic catastrophe will look at that and say “Gore was right!” …except there is this small niggling problem, a fairly large El Niño in 2015, which has nothing to do with CO2 induced warming as Gore claimed ten years ago. Note the spike in 2007, in the nine years since, that hasn’t been matched.

The real point here is to note that, no matter whether you are looking at the satellite record or the surface temperature record, is that the temperature hasn’t risen dramatically in the last 10 years, and the dramatic spikes we see in the surface and satellite temperature records correspond to a natural event that’s been going on for millennia; El Niño.

According to Gore, this map should have been all reds now.

In a recent post about why El Nino drive global temperatures, Dr. Roy Spencer wrote this: What Causes El Nino Warmth?

Dick Lindzen suggested to me recently that this might be a good time to address the general question, “what causes the global-average warmth during El Nino?”

Some of you might say, “the sun, of course”. Yes, the sun’s energy is the ultimate source of energy for the climate system, but it really doesn’t explain why El Nino years are unusually warm…or why La Nina years are unusually cool.

The answer lies in the circulation of the Pacific Ocean, more specifically the vertical circulation of that ocean basin.

The short answer is that, during El Nino, there is an average decrease in the vertical overturning and mixing of cold, deep ocean waters with solar-heated warm surface waters. The result is that the surface waters become warmer than average, and deeper waters become colder than average. The opposite situation occurs during La Nina.

Importantly, the change shows up in global average ocean computations, based upon ocean temperature data (see our Fig. 3, here); this means that the changes centered in the Pacific are not offset by changes of the opposite sign occurring in other ocean basins.

So, the big warming events of the last 10 years have been El Niño related, a natural event, and even they haven’t reached catastrophic levels of global temperature.

Al Gore’s posited “within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return” and “a true planetary emergency.” is proving to be nothing more than PR bullshit to push his movie, and won’t happen by the ten year countdown of January 25th 2016.

Heck, I’m starting to believe there’s absolutely nothing which is beneath President Barack Obama and his administration. And if there was a single reason to preclude any other liberal progressive socialist from occupying the White House it’s not necessary. Just knowing that this current Democrat Party of Obama and the complicit media enables such abhorrent behavior is reason enough.

We now know the National Security Agency under Barack Obama has no parameters. We are all indeed candidates for surveillance as potential enemies of the Obama State. This, ladies and gents, is right up there with the former East German agency known as the Stasi.

As reported by Politico, “A House panel on Wednesday announced it is seeking information from the Obama administration on U.S. intelligence collection that may have swept up members of Congress.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence’s announcement comes after a Wall Street Journal report that the U.S. collected information on private exchanges between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of Congress during ongoing negotiations for a nuclear deal with Iran.

“The House Intelligence Committee is looking into allegations in the Wall Street Journal regarding possible Intelligence Community (IC) collection of communications between Israeli government officials and members of Congress,” Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said in a statement.

“The Committee has requested additional information from the IC to determine which, if any, of these allegations are true, and whether the IC followed all applicable laws, rules, and procedures.”

According to the Journal, U.S. officials said Obama insisted that keeping an eye on Netanyahu served a “compelling national security purpose.” White House officials thought the information it uncovered could potentially be used to counter Netanyahu’s campaign against the nuclear accord but ultimately decided not to formally ask the National Security Agency to keep tabs on the Israeli premier’s maneuverings on Capitol Hill.

The White House also gave the NSA the authority to determine what it would and wouldn’t do with the information, U.S. officials said. “We didn’t say, ‘Do it,’” one senior U.S. official recalled in an interview with the Journal. “We didn’t say, ‘Don’t do it.’”

Now ain’t that just a daisy? The NSA is supposed to collect intelligence that ensures our national security. And for the Obama administration to view any opposition to his Iranian nuclear deal as a “compelling national security purpose” should send a chill down your back. This demagogue used the NSA for a blatant political purpose. What does it take America? President Richard Nixon stepped down over a breaking and entering fiasco centered on politics. You tell me that this nefarious belligerence should go unpunished and I will tell you are nothing more than a kool-aid drinking partisan.

Just ask yourself if this was a Republican president and the NSA had done such an action. The calls from the liberal progressive media would be screeching. This would be the number one news story and front page of the New York Times and elsewhere.

But what is the real story — and utterly disturbing — is that Barack Obama will do anything and everything to aid and abet, as well as provide material comfort and support to the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism — the militant regime of Iran. How many Americans are being held by Iran? How many provocations has Iran committed since this agreement was given Obama’s blessing?

Let me remind you of the most recent. Our deployed aircraft carrier (CV) USS Harry Truman had a series of Iranian missiles fired just 1500 yards away from its position. Of course the Obama apologists will say our vessel was warned and the projectiles were fired away from the ship. They fail to get the point, Iran just sent a message: we are a power and will stand in defiance to America. Why isn’t the NSA spying on Iran and finding out exactly where our hostages are being held?

No, as we shared with you, John Kerry is going to get Iran waived from the open visa enforcement policy. Remember it was Obama who coerced Democrat Senators to filibuster the Iranian resolution of disapproval so it was never even considered. And in days Iran will be the recipient of some $150 billion in unfrozen financial assets.

Explain to me what is not treasonous about Obama lifting sanctions and releasing billions of dollars to Iran?

Furthermore, I find it unconscionable that under Obama and the liberal progressive leftists, any mention of surveillance of mosques and potential Islamists in our midst is met with anger and derision. So I suppose for the left, it’s just fine to use the NSA to spy and conduct surveillance on Prime Minister Netanyahu and Members of the U.S. Congress as long as it is in keeping with the political agenda of one Barack Obama.

This is inexplicable and wrong on so many levels. You want to know what the Obama White House said? “National Security Council spokesman Ned Price on Wednesday said the administration won’t comment on “any specific intelligence activities” but did offer a broad defense. “We do not conduct any foreign intelligence surveillance activities unless there is a specific and validated national security purpose,” he said. “This applies to ordinary citizens and world leaders alike.”

These people are monsters who have no respect or regard for anyone or anything standing in the way of their agenda. And based upon what ol’ Ned just said, that means YOU too!

Doggone, Loretta Lynch will press charges against folks deemed to be a threat and making offensive speech towards Muslims. President Obama responded to the biggest Islamic terrorist attack since 9-11 by seeking to disarm the American people. Ask yourself as we close out 2015 and head into Obama’s last year — on whose side as these folks?

We will be told there’s nothing here, and since this is being revealed right before New Years, it will be lost in the seasonal activities.

Let me warn y’all, this cannot be forgotten or “blown off. It’s time someone subpoenaed Barack Obama to appear before a Congressional inquiry committee — unless you feel he is above the law.

Former Michigan Rep. Pete Hoekstra, who chaired the House intelligence panel from 2004 to 2007, called for a probe late Tuesday, remarking that the Obama administration had exhibited an “unprecedented abuse of power” if the allegations are true. “WSJ report that [National Security Agency] spied on Congress and Israel communications very disturbing. Actually outrageous,” he tweeted. “Maybe unprecedented abuse of power NSA and Obama officials need to be investigated and prosecuted if any truth to WSJ reports,” he continued. “NSA loses all credibility. Scary.”

This isn’t scary, it’s deplorable, disgusting, and despicable. I for one do not care if this is Obama’s last year, it ain’t guaranteed to be so with this type of dictatorial maniacal behavior. This is highly disturbing to know we have a “president” who cherishes Iran more than America and its citizens.

The Minister Louis Farrakhan has a warning for the American public: “If Donald Trump becomes president, he will take America into the abyss of hell.”

That’s the message that the controversial Nation of Islam leader delivered in a recent video that was posted to his Facebook page. In it, Farrakhan said that Trump has certainly “done great things in the business world,” but charged that the Republican presidential candidate is “exacerbating the race situation in America.”

“Mr. Trump is tearing away the skin of the onion of white civility and the more he pulls the skin of that onion back, he’s beginning to show something in the character of the whites that follow him, that they don’t care what he says,” Farrakhan said. “He could say one thing this minute, another thing the next minute and you can see that the man has a little problem.”

He then proceeded to warn about what he believes will happen if Trump becomes president.

“He’ll take America exactly where America is heading. He’ll take you there on a rocket ship,” Farrakhan continued. “If he becomes your president, you’ll be just like him. … When you get leadership that is not rooted in justice, then they begin to make the people just like themselves.”

At the end of the segment, he warned that America should be careful before choosing Trump.

“You’re headed into the abyss of hell, and if you make a mistake in choosing your leaders, maybe you’ll go there faster,” Farrakhan said.

Former Congressman Joe Walsh tweeted on Thursday, “On Monday, Obama, on his own, to go after guns. It’s war. Defy his executive actions. Time for Civil disobedience.”

Walsh, who is now a radio host on AM 560 The Answer in Chicago linked to a CNN article that announced that President Obama is expected to take new executive action on guns in order to expand background checks on firearm sales.

While the National Rifle Association declined comment to CNN on the Obama administration’s latest unilateral action on gun control, the NRA previously said Obama’s “gun control agenda was rejected by Congress. Arguing that the current gun laws in California are Obama’s “wish list of gun control” the laws did not “prevent the San Bernardino attack.”

NRA spokeswoman Jennifer Baker said, “The fact is, the President’s gun control agenda will only make it harder for law-abiding citizens to exercise their right to self-defense.”

As Donald Trump continues to be the man to beat in the Republican presidential primary race, the liberal media has been having a field day claiming that women hate Trump because of his allegedly sexist remarks. The assumption by many in the liberal world is that Hillary Clinton would easily win a hypothetical match-up with Trump because she will gain most of the women’s vote. The only problem with this thought is that reality is proving to be much different.

Women are supporting Trump, and in much greater numbers than most political analysts would have predicted. Trump has been quick to jump on this to show the world that he isn’t just running a campaign for white males.

Most recently, Trump tweeted a photo of a woman at one of his rallies wearing a special T-shirt:

The shirt displayed a “Hillary for Prison 2016” slogan that has become popular among conservatives who still remember how her actions led to the deaths of Americans during the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack.

Hillary Clinton — with her family’s baggage — is arguably one of the worst presidential candidates the Democrats have put forward in a long time, and that’s saying something, considering her closest rival is a self-proclaimed socialist who may or may not be certifiably insane.

Hillary has a long track record of breaking the law and getting away with it. It’s about time that someone put a stop to her lawbreaking and threw her in jail where she belongs.

Maybe Trump will be that person, maybe not — but one thing is certain: There is quite possibly nothing more dangerous than Hillary Clinton as president. We all know the havoc she wrought as secretary of state. Imagine what the world would look like with her in the Oval Office.

Ultra-feminist founder of Femen Brazil recently had a change of heart. Not only has she denounced the modern feminism movement, but she’s now a pro-life advocate. What caused this sudden one-eighty? Giving birth. “Sara Winter” aborted her first child. Giving birth to her second caused the former topless protestor to reconsider her long-held feminist views.

Sara Fernanda Giromin first made herself known to Brazil and to the world under the alias “Sara Winter” in 2012, when she became the founding member of Femen Brazil, and led a trio of girls in a number of topless protests that garnered much media attention. However, only three years later, the young activist has done an about-face and has declared war on feminism and abortion, and is apologizing to Christians for her offensive behavior. She has also published a short book detailing the abuse and disappointment she suffered at the hands of fellow feminists.

Giromin regrets terminating her first pregnancy and now implores those considering abortion to reconsider.

“I have repented of having had an abortion and today I ask for forgiveness,” wrote Giromin. “Yesterday marked one month after the birth of my baby and my life has taken on a new meaning. I’m writing this while he sleeps serenely on my lap. It is the greatest sensation in the world.”

“Please, women who are desperate to abort, think carefully about it. I was very sorry I did it. I don’t want the same for you,” she added.

But Giromin’s about-face isn’t limited to abortion. She’s now speaking out against the feminist movement referring to it as a corrupt religious “sect.”

In the months that have followed, Giromin has revealed to her readership her disillusionment with feminism and gender ideology, and has repudiated her “bisexual” orientation. She has also expressed remorse for having offended Christians in January of 2014, when she engaged in a well publicized same-sex kiss with another seminude girl with a cross in the background, in front of the Church of Our Lady of Candelária in Rio de Janeiro. The photo of the two had become iconic in Brazil of homosexual contempt for Christianity.

“Asking for forgiveness is certainly not an easy thing to do,” said Giromin in a YouTube video entitled “I ask Christians for forgiveness for feminist protest.” “We went way too far and ended up offending many religious and non-religious people,” she added, recognizing the stunt as a form of “blasphemy.” She adds that she is making progress in her own spiritual life, although the exact nature of her current beliefs remains unclear.

Although she left Femen in 2013 after denouncing it as a “business,” she had continued her bare-chested protests as the leader of a new feminist group comprised of both men and women, called “Bastardxs,” (allowing for both the masculine and feminine forms of the word “Bastards” in Portuguese). She has now made it clear that she regards herself as having no affiliation with feminism at all, repudiating the movement as a religious “sect” that uses women as objects, promotes lesbianism, and covers up pedophilia in its ranks.

“For the feminist sect women are not the inspiration, they are prime matter in the worst sense of the term. They are convenient objects useful for the purpose of inflaming hatred against the Christian religion, hatred against men, hatred against the beauty of women, hatred against the equilibrium of families. That’s what feminism is, and I can guarantee it is like that because I was on the inside!”

“I saw the feminist movement cover up for PEDOPHILES,” writes Giromin. “I saw the feminist movement PERSECUTE WOMEN … I am a witness to the fact that today in the feminist movement women are not of any importance but serve as fuel for the fires of hatred that the feminist sect cannot allow to die.”

Giromin says that she felt pressured by the feminist movement to declare herself “bisexual” so that she could receive maximum respect. “Lesbian and bisexual women have much more voice and respect within the movement, so in the search for recognition of my struggle, with each day that passed, I deconstructed my heterosexuality and was substituting it with an artificial bisexuality.” Upon leaving feminism, Giromin ceased to regard herself as a “bisexual” and has also rejected gender ideology, a sine qua non of social acceptance in the feminist movement.

In her new book “Bitch, no! Seven times I was betrayed by Feminism” (Vadia não! Sete vezes que fui traída pelo feminismo), Giromin writes that she was repeatedly pushed to do drugs, to engage in sex with strangers, and was even molested by a lesbian, all at the hands of feminists who claimed to be fighting for women’s equality. She also recounts that when she once confided in a feminist academic that she was involved in prostitution while still a teen, she was devastated to find that the woman affirmed her behavior and did nothing to offer her a way out. She notes that one of the few times she received affection, kindness, and understanding from a female friend, it was from an older, conservative “anti-feminist,” who treated her like a daughter.

On Jan, 1st, 2016, Texas will become the 45th state to allow some form of “OPEN CARRY” of handguns. This means that Texas is changing its gun license from a CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSE (“CHL”); to a LICENSE TO CARRY (“LTC”).

Many “uninformed citizens” are going to be caught off-guard next week if and when they start seeing people openly wearing handguns in public! Police officials don’t really expect to start seeing guns everywhere, but on Jan. 1st, some citizens are going to strap on their gun and go to Walmart, just because they CAN! Let’s face it, here in Texas some people think wearing their handgun in public… is a fashion statement!

Whether you’ve had your “CHL” for years, or just a citizen wondering what all the “hype” is about; you may find something useful in the information that follows. I’m not an expert, and this is not legal information; it’s just the information as I understand it. If we disagree, or if something isn’t clear, we’ll contact the DPPD for clarification!

EXACTLY…. WHAT IS CHANGING?

– The name is changing from Concealed Handgun License or “CHL”; to License to Carry, or “LTC”.

– Beginning January 1st, citizens all across the State of Texas may begin seeing people prominently and lawfully wearing handguns… outside their clothing.

– All current “CHL” holders will be “grandfathered” into the new “LTC” program. If you already have a valid “CHL” there is absolutely nothing you need to do. The “CHL” you are holding will now be referred to as a “LTC” or License to Carry. – – Beginning Jan. 1st, Texas will no longer issue new (or renewal) “CHL’s”; but begin issuing the new “LTC”, or License to Carry.

– The biggest change is that “licensed” gun owners are no longer required to hide or “conceal” the weapon they are carrying, but now have the option to carry that weapon openly (outside their clothing) or continue to carry in a concealed manner. If they choose to “open carry”, the law states that their weapon MUST BE IN A HOLSTER…worn on the shoulder or belt.

WHAT IS NOT CHANGING?

– The basic “CHL or LTC” laws, rules and regulations are not changing. Citizens still need a license to carry a handgun (openly or concealed) in the State of Texas. Laws concerning license eligibility, who can legally carry and where it is legal to carry have not changed. REMEMBER: This new law ONLY applies to handguns and to valid handgun license holders.

– ATTENTION: ALL VALID TEXAS HANDGUN LICENSE HOLDERS: Everywhere you can legally concealed carry now, you will be able to open carry after Jan. 1, 2016.

*It is already legal to openly display long-guns, shotguns and rifles in public; as long as it is done in a non-threatening or alarming manner. No license or permit is required.

SOME BASIC FIREARM LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS

In Texas, it is generally illegal to carry a handgun outside of a person’s own premises*, however, there are several places where a person may possess a handgun legally without a license. *Assuming the person is legally allowed to possess a weapon.

INSTANCES WHERE NO LICENSE IS REQUIRED:

– A person who is legally allowed to possess a weapon does not need a license to carry a handgun at their residence.

– A person who is legally allowed to possess a weapon does not need a license to carry a handgun in their vehicle or boat. *The handgun can be loaded or unloaded, but must be concealed at all times.

– If the person has a valid “LTC”, the person may “open carry” in the vehicle if the handgun is in a shoulder holster or holster attached to the belt.

– A person who is legally allowed to possess a weapon does not need a license to carry a handgun when engaging in lawful fishing, hunting, or other sporting activity on the immediate premises where the activity is conducted, or is en route between the premises and the persons’ residence or motor vehicle, if the firearm is a type commonly used in the activity.

*Remember: * A person who is legally allowed to possess a weapon does not need a license to carry long-guns, shotguns and rifles in public; as long as it is done in a non-threatening or alarming manner.

ABSOLUTELY NO GUNS ALLOWED….

Under Texas Law… every handgun license holder knows that there are universally designated places where handguns are never allowed.

License holders may never carry guns onto the premises of schools, school-related functions (i.e. football games), courtrooms, secure areas of airports, polling places, and post offices. It is also illegal to carry into any business that receives at least 51 percent of it’s revenue from alcohol sales; as designated by a proper “51% sign at each entrance.

In most cases, parking lots, sidewalks and driveways are not included in the definition of “premises.”

Leftist Website Breaks “Islamophobia” Story, Quickly KILLS It When They Learn Details

You might be forgiven if you are unfamiliar with Salon, many people are. They’re one of the Uber-Left op-ed sites that — by comparison — make Huffpo look like an impartial news source. As I write this, they are featuring stories celebrating Michael Moore [and how he exploded the Right’s biggest lie]. Or prominent Atheist Sam Harris and his “detestable crusade” against Islam. News flash, Harris hates ALL religion. He’s merely being consistent, unlike Salon who only slanders Christianity. Throw in a few articles attacking traditional perceptions of Reagan and Lincoln and you have a good sense of where they are coming from.

Most importantly, however. They are our moral superiors — at least, in their own minds. Remember, the Right isn’t ever just “wrong” it is necessary to insist that we are actually evil. This is important to their rhetoric. Enough background — on with the story.

Well, these supposed paragons of virtue reported an arson incident on a Mosque. This is the kind of story they would happily get behind. It paints America as generally mean-spirited and bigoted. It unflinchingly portrays the darlings of the day (currently Islam) as the “poor victim”.

They reported the story on Wednesday. It described an attack on Christmas Day, shortly after Friday prayers at the Islamic Center of Houston. In an article relating the arrest of suspect Gary Moore, Salon writer Ben Norton described this attack as Islamophobic. But that was a mistake. A serious one.

Why is the conclusion of it being hate-based such a big mistake? Well, could it be that the author was guilty of “profiling”? Seeing the accused did not use a Middle-Eastern name, might he have just assumed a hatred of Islam?

But really, what would stop him? It is a time-worn Leftist tactic to slander people you have identified as “the enemy”. And disproving an accusation of Islamophobia would usually be tricky.

Usually, this smear tactic is reserved for Americans with traditional views, who lean right-of-center on political issues, hold to old-school religious beliefs, or who traditional views of marriage. With an Anglo name like Gary Moore, the racist-hater card might have seemed a slam dunk.

Except for one little detail. Gary Moore is not only Muslim himself, he is a MEMBER of that same Islamic Center who had prayed their earlier that SAME DAY. (Even police say the motive is currently unknown.)

No problem, right? Just an honest mistake? Like any serious publication, the Editor-in-Chief has posted a correction notice? I mean, even the New York Times does that when it admits to being wrong. That’s what they did, right?

Actually, no. They nuked the story and pretended it never happened. All that remains is a lovely 404 error. Will Gary Moore raise it as an issue? Will he complain about being slandered as “Islamophobic” when he is a Muslim himself? Will the public demand a correction notice?

Are we going to call BS when they throw around such labels in the future, like the Boy Who Cried Wolf, now that The Public knows who and what Salon really is?

Or, more likely, will they go back finger-wagging and complaining about the supposed “Biggest Lies” on the Right? You know, the kind those “Professional Truth-Tellers” like Michael Moore are so famously, uh, “exploding”.

One last thing to ponder as you go. When all was said and done, there still was a real arson that actually did burn down a center of religious worship. It really was still a news story. But they pulled it. Are we now to understand that the suffering of those who had their building torched is only newsworthy if it can be used as a cudgel against Salon’s political foes?

Moral superiority, indeed.

Melissa Klein said was checking on their three bank accounts when she found out the government took every penny. The money was even taken from a separate account the couple uses to keep their church tithe. The amount totaled around $7,000.

“It was like my breath was taken away,” Melissa Klein said in a telephone interview. “I panicked. Everything was gone.”

The couple, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, faced the wrath of the state in 2013 after they would not bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple. While the Kleins will bake cakes for homosexuals for other events, like birthdays, Aaron Klein told the couple they could not support a lesbian commitment ceremony because of their Christian beliefs about marriage. Same-sex marriage was not yet legal in Oregon at the time. The couple held a commitment ceremony in June 2013 and were legally married on May 23, 2014, four days after same-sex marriage was legalized in Oregon.

Even though same-sex marriage was not yet legal in the state, the Kleins were hauled before the bureau on discrimination claims under the state’s public accommodations law. The government then ordered them to pay $136,927.07 judgment for causing “emotional suffering.” They paid it in full to avoid a state-mandated nine percent interest penalty, according to their attorney. The money was given to the Kleins through donations.

“The least expensive option to stay in compliance with the law was to pay the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries funds that will be kept in a separate account until they prevail in their court appeal,” said attorney Tyler Smith in a prepared statement regarding the case.

The couple had to shutter their retail shop and now work out of their home. They were also slapped with a gag order prohibiting them from speaking publicly about their decision to refuse baking a wedding cake for same-sex marriages.

Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian said in a 2013 interview that he was not trying to shut Sweet Cakes by Melissa down. He wanted them to change their views. “The goal is never to shut down a business. The goal is to rehabilitate.”

pure socialism Still, closing the business and issuing a gag order was not enough for Avakian, who actively supports gay rights in his social media posts and public comments. He authorized the move to wipe out the Kleins’ bank accounts, even the one meant for the church.

“We had three accounts,” Mrs. Klein said. “I have one account that’s labeled, ‘God’s money’ – our tithing. They just took it.”

The Kleins’ case is on appeal and Smith said they would continue to fight it even if it means taking it to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“Aaron and Melissa will continue to work to ensure that every American has the First Amendment right to express their faith-based beliefs, and to conduct their daily affairs according to their conscience,” Smith said.

The New York Times' Featured Syrian Refugee of The Week

On Christmas Day — three weeks after the son of a Pakistani immigrant and his Pakistani immigrant bride murdered 14 people in San Bernardino, California — The New York Times told the heartwarming story of “Kamal,” a Syrian refugee who resettled into Houston, Texas, earlier this year and immediately started shopping at Walmart.

The Times considers it tacky when actual Americans go to Walmart, but Muslim immigrants seem to live there, buying nothing but American flags and Christmas trees.

Thus, we’re told Kamal has an outdoor Christmas tree from Walmart, and we find him carrying two trays of cupcakes from Kroger’s for his children’s elementary school holiday party.

Kamal — like the Times — was “angered” by Texans’ reluctance to accept more Syrian refugees. He says of Americans: “Why did you bring me here and why then you let the people hate us?”

We brought you here, Kamal, because the Democrats need voters and the rich need cheap servants.

As for letting “the people” hate refugees, they don’t, but if they did they’d have a right to do so. It goes back to that whole thing with John Locke, John Milton and the English Bill of Rights in 1689. (Of course, in Syria, it’s always the year 400, so this is merely pedagogical.)

The reasons Americans might hate Muslims — although, again, they don’t — include: San Bernardino, the Boston Marathon, Fort Hood, the Chattanooga military recruiting center, 9/11 and the 1993 World Trade Center attacks, and on and on and on.

The Times article itself provides additional clues as to why Texans might not want more Syrian refugees.

According to the Times:

– Kamal refused to let the Times use his last name “because he feared for the safety of his relatives in Syria.”

– In 2011, Kamal was arrested and imprisoned by the Syrian military for protesting against the government. Over the next 14 months, he says, he was tortured with electric shocks and beatings — and the removal of his kidney “as a punishment.”

– He says he didn’t want to relocate to another part of Syria because the Syrians there would “slaughter” him and his family because he drinks alcohol and his wife doesn’t always wear a hijab.

But he’s baffled that Texans are not yelping with joy at the prospect of bringing another 100,000 Syrians here. Why would any country not jump at the chance to admit masses of people who administer electric shocks and remove organs as punishment for protesting the government? We must be crazy!

If anyone hates Syrians, it’s Kamal. He left his home to get 7,000 miles away from Syrians — whom he now wants to bring to the U.S.

By contrast, these are the horrors Kamal has suffered at the hands of Texans, which he shared with the Times: The Texas agriculture commissioner posted pictures of refugees and rattlesnakes on Facebook with the caption: “Can you tell me which of these rattlers won’t bite you?”

Well, can you? Kamal can’t. He voted with his feet by getting the hell out of his entire country, which — again — he now wants to import to Texas, at least according to the Times.

I’m going to give Kamal the benefit of the doubt. (The guy does have a Christmas tree.) Maybe it’s the Ramadan spirit, but I don’t think he does want any more Syrian refugees. Maybe Kamal is only worried about Texans suspecting him, in which case, he ought to be “angered” by the Muslim immigrants who do things that create suspicion, and the U.S. government that insists on bringing in hundreds of thousands more like them.

Only in fiscal years 2009 to 2013, the Obama administration has imported 680,000 immigrants from Muslim-majority countries. In that same time period, the government accepted approximately 12 immigrants from the British Isles.

The media’s persistent attempts to paint sympathetic portraits of the Third-Worlders pouring into America are always exercises in self-contradiction.

On one hand, the Times loves to provide lavishly detailed accounts of the atrocities committed on a daily basis in backward countries in order to pull at readers’ heartstrings. But then they’re shocked when readers don’t respond to descriptions of these medieval cultures by saying, What this country needs is more electric shock torture and organ harvesting of prisoners. How about we bring in some more Syrians?

The day after the Times’ story about Kamal and his trays of cupcakes and rafts of grievances, the paper ran a front-page story about the “flawed justice” — that was in the title — involving a homicidal mob in Afghanistan.

First, the good news: No police officers shot any unarmed black teens. Now, the bad news: A 27-year-old woman, Farkhunda Malikzada, was beaten to death by an enraged mob in Kabul after being falsely accused of burning a Koran.

The Times reports:

“In the videos, Farkhunda seems at first to be screaming in pain from the kicks, but then her body convulses under the blows, and soon she stops moving at all. Even when the mob pulls her into the street and gets a car to run over her, and she is dragged 300 feet, the police stand by.

“By then, she was little more than a clothed mass of blood and bones. Yet still more people came to beat her. One of the most fervent was a young man, Mohammad Yaqoub, who worked at an eyeglasses shop. He heard the crowd as Farkhunda was dragged behind the car and rushed out, eager to join.”

But the Times is scratching its head, incredulous that Americans aren’t leaping with ecstasy at the government’s plan to continue dumping these sick, sadistic cultures on us.

Democrats think Christians bigger threat than Muslims

Editor’s Note: This is another in a series of reports on the polling by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio, for WND.com.

A new poll reveals that 45 percent of the Democrats who responded believe that Christians are a greater threat to America than Muslims. No shock that 72 percent of atheists agree.

But the surprise is that 18 percent of those who consider themselves ” very conservative” agree.

As do 29 percent of Protestants.

And 23 percent of Catholics.

Interestingly, the sample of Muslims was very small, but 100 percent said it is Muslims who are the greater danger.

The results are from a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio. The telephone survey of registered voters was taken Dec. 18-27, except for the holiday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points.

Poll chief Fritz Wenzel said, “A surprising finding in the survey shows that one in three respondents said they believe Christians pose a greater threat to America than do Muslims. Among Democrats, 45 percent said Christians are more dangerous than are Muslims, while 36 percent of political independents said the same. Among Republicans, 20 percent said Christians are the greater threat.”

That shooting was carried out by a deranged man who opposed abortion. His religious affiliation is unclear, but many may have extrapolated that he must be a Christian conservative. This conclusion is bolstered by the fact that women were more likely than men to name Christians as a bigger threat than Muslims – but that said, still 63 percent of all women still said Muslims are the greater threat.”

His analysis continued, “The more conservative the respondent, the more likely they were to identify Muslims as the greater threat to America.”

The survey included very few Muslims, but they all said Muslims were the greater threat to the country. Among Protestants, 29 percent said Christians were the greater threat, while 72 percent of Atheists said Christians were a greater threat, he noted.

“A majority of blacks said Christians were the greater threat, but all other races said Muslims were the greatest threat to America,” he said.

The question asked was simple: “Which do you believe pose the greatest threat to America – Muslims or Christians?”

Fifty-five percent of Democrats, 80 percent of the GOP and 64 percent of the independents identified Muslims.

Among those who identify themselves as liberal, it was approaching 50 percent that believe Christians are the greater danger.

Among whites, 67 percent identified Muslims, among Hispanics, 90 percent identified Muslims and among Asians, 82 percent identified Muslims. It was blacks, who by a 55-45 majority, said Christians are a bigger threat.

California Gun Law Will Let Police Confiscate Legally-Owned Weapons

A new California law scheduled to take effect Friday will allow the police to seize private, legally-owned weapons for up to three weeks without charges or allowing the citizen to contest the seizure. AB1014 was passed last year in the wake of 2014’s Isla Vista shooting, where teenager Elliot Rodger went on a rampage near the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara, killing six people along with himself.

Rodger’s parents had reported him to the police prior to the shooting, concerned about his mental health and rants he posted online. But after meeting with Rodger, police decided he wasn’t a criminal risk, and consequently didn’t search his apartment, where he was stockpiling weapons and ammunition.

The new law is intended to stop such a situation from re-occurring. Under the law, a judge has the power to grant a restraining order telling police to seize a person’s guns, based solely on accounts from family members or police that the person is poses an imminent danger to others. The restraining order can be granted without the affected person knowing it exists or being allowed time to contest it.

Under the law, the factors a judge can consider in granting the restraining order include not only threats of violence, but also prior felony arrests (even without a conviction), evidence of alcohol abuse, and even the simple act of recently purchasing a gun or ammunition.

Once granted, police can use the restraining order to confiscate all of a person’s guns and ammunition, and the person is also barred from buying or possessing guns and ammo for the duration of the order. A full court hearing must then be heard within three weeks. At that hearing, a judge will be able to extend the restraining order for an entire year.

“The law gives us a vehicle to cause the person to surrender their weapons, to have a time out, if you will,” Los Angeles Police Department Assistant Chief Michael Moore told Southern California Public Radio. “It allows further examination of the person’s mental state.”

The law expands on California gun laws that are already some of the country’s toughest. Police already have the power to seize a person’s guns if a licensed therapist informs them that the person’s mental state makes them a danger to themselves or others.

Unsurprisingly, pro-gun organizations such as the National Rifle Association (NRA) have strongly opposed the law since it was first proposed. The NRA Institute for Legislative Action, the group’s lobbying arm, has already signaled its willingness to use the courts to battle the law. Noting that the law makes it a misdemeanor to file a frivolous request for one of the new restraining orders, the group has encouraged anybody who feels unjustly targeted to contact their attorneys.

Syndicated conservative journalist Charles Hurt tells Breitbart News Daily that the mainstream media ignored the rise of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump. “They ignored it,” Hurt said of the media. “They mocked it and ridiculed it.” He joked the mainstream media reporters have “gone through all 12 stages of denial” and are now acknowledging the rise of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is a real thing.

“The guy is steamrolling through a lot of places all over the country,” he added, “and they’re mad at Trump!”

Hurt said that thousands of pages of laws were signed by President Obama, but “none of it went to address the shocking problems we are facing right now in terms of debt, in terms of the threats we face from ISIS and their sympathizers.”

“People are beyond fed up,” he added. Hurt said Americans are past the Tea Party movement. “We’re past that now…they want to torch the place and start over again.”

He said people are justifiably angry.

“I’m angry. I can’t believe the way things have gotten so twisted around in this country,” not working is rewarded by this government, while hard work is punished. “It’s a really screwed up thing.”

“They’re desperate for somebody…who will address the problems honestly and forthrightly and in plain language and sometimes harsh language and that’s what Donald Trump does,” Hurt added.

“It’s been something that’s been percolating a long time,” Hurt told guest host Alex Marlow, in for Stephen K. Bannon, about the rise of the anti-establishment. “It’s been sort of slowly accumulating…at some point it was going to have to break.”

Hurt said one of the big issues that has broken the establishment was the left’s control of the media.

“It was a massive disservice,” Hurt said of the mainstream media controlling the narrative. Now with the internet, Hurt says “all of that stuff gets broken down…normal sane people actually have a say.”

“The right is not a monolithic organization that is controlling everything. It’s a loud disaggregation of voices and that’s what we see,” Hurt said, adding that the left is “nothing if not monolithic.”

“Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is giving the Democratic frontrunner a healthy challenge and there are polls where he’s ahead… wthin striking distance of her,” Hurt stressed. “Bernie Sanders is a socialist!”

“It’s amazing that he caucuses with Democrats,” he added.

“The idea that this is even a remote prospect anywhere on the horizon of American political thought…communism has killed more people… the idea that this guy is out there…talk about hate speech…this guy is treated as legitimate and the media goes bananas over Donald Trump because he talks about wanting to secure the border, wanting to stop radical Islamic terrorism.”

“The idea that the media finds that so much more shocking…it really tells you a lot about where mainstream media is and how completely totally out of touch, lost touch, the entire Democrat Party really is these days,” Hurt said.

He added that the establishment is “terrified of going after any Democrat over anything,” adding that they are afraid to take on immigration, Bill Clinton’s sex scandalized past and Black Lives Matter.

“All I can think is do they have something in their background we should know about,” Hurt questioned. “Who gets nervous about making intelligent arguments about something and worries about being called a racist?”

“She is responsible,” Hurt said of Hillary Clinton’s role in Bill Clinton’s sexual past. “She stood by him every step of the way and she led the charge in discrediting and destroying every single one of these victims.”

“She is absolutely 100 percent culpable and responsible,” he added. “The only war on women I’m aware of is the war on women that’s raged by Bill Clinton.”

Hurt said this opens the lane for Trump. “He just walks right on up and all he has to do is state the obvious at every turn and he has become Teflon Don.”

“I may cut Department of Education,” Trump said. “I believe Common Core is a very bad thing. I believe that we should be — you know, educating our children from Iowa, from New Hampshire, from South Carolina, from California, from New York. I think that it should be local education.”

Many Americans agree, especially as the Department of Education has grown into a massive bureaucracy more focused on indoctrinating students in the Islamic faith and “white privilege” than in actually teaching them things that matter, like, say, literature and math.

Plus, getting rid of the Department of Education would give parents much more power over what their children learn.

However, whether Trump could get actually rid of Common Core, which is his apparent goal, remains to be seen.

As The Daily Caller reporter Blake Neff explained, “While Common Core is promoted indirectly by the Department of Education, it is still adopted individually by state governments, and the federal government does not control it.”

Still, it’s a very worthwhile goal to consider since many parents are fed-up with Common Core’s “one-size-fits-all” approach to education.

Frankly, education is much too important to be mass produced … and thankfully, most Americans, including Donald Trump, get this.

MUSLIM REFUGEE REPORT: Look What Happened After These Holier Than Thou Liberals Invited Refugees Into Their Home

In an ironic twist of the fate, the same bleeding-heart liberals who opened their South African farm to hundreds of Central African refugees who were allegedly fleeing “xenophobic violence” have themselves — along with their 10 children — been driven from their own home and threatened with murder.

This occurred last week, when the refugees from Burundi and the Congo reportedly grew tired of waiting to be relocated to a proper home in another country and started acting out violently against farm owners Andrew and Rae Wartnaby.

“Then in the early hours of the morning, at around 2 a.m., they came smashing on my windows and doors and saying that they will kill me because I work for the government and I am not helping them,” Andrew recalled to News24.com.

Then when Rae looked through a window, she saw flames engulfing one of the refugees’ tents.

“I immediately asked if everyone is OK but they kept shouting that tonight was my night and they will kill me,” Andrew continued. “I haven’t slept since then.”

To be fair, not all the Muslim refugees are acting out against Andrew and his wife. Apparently, the refugees split into two groups — one that wants to work with Andrew, Rae and their government contacts to find a way out of South Africa, and another that refuses to listen to reason.

“I tried to talk to them but they refused to listen because they believe I am selling them out to the lawyers and government and that Andrew is not helping them be placed in another country,” Vital Nshinirimana, the leader of the group cooperating with the couple, explained.

Obviously, Andrew and Rae wanted to help all the Muslim refugees, but how could they help people who in their arrogance refused to be helped? If nothing else, this story highlights exactly why bleeding-heart liberals need to be very careful about what they do. While we understand that they just want to help people, sometimes it is best to let folks just figure things out for themselves.

ISIS has issued an extremely detailed ruling on when the ‘owners’ of female slaves can have sex with them in a sickening attempt to justify the rape and torture of its captives. The ruling or fatwa has the force of law and appears to go beyond ISIS’s previous known utterances on the subject, a leading Islamic State scholar said. It sheds new light on how the group is trying to reinterpret centuries-old teachings to sanction the sexual slavery of women in the swaths of Syria and Iraq it controls.

The fatwa was among a huge trove of documents captured by U.S. Special Operations Forces during a raid targeting a top ISIS official in Syria in May.

Reuters news agency has reviewed some of the documents, which have not been previously published.

Among the religious rulings are bans on a father and son having sex with the same female slave; and the owner of a mother and daughter having sex with both.
Joint owners of a female captive are similarly enjoined from intercourse because she is viewed as ‘part of a joint ownership.’

The United Nations and human rights groups have accused ISIS of the systematic abduction and rape of thousands of women and girls as young as 12, especially members of the Yazidi minority in northern Iraq.

Many have been given to fighters as a reward or sold as sex slaves.

Far from trying to conceal the practice, Islamic State has boasted about it and established a department of ‘war spoils’ to manage slavery.

Reuters reported on the existence of the department on Monday.

In an April report, Human Rights Watch interviewed 20 female escapees who recounted how Islamic State fighters separated young women and girls from men and boys and older women. They were moved ‘in an organized and methodical fashion to various places in Iraq and Syria.’

Fatwa No. 64, dated January 29, 2015, and issued by the terror group’s Committee of Research and Fatwas, appears to codify sexual relations between ISIS fighters and their female captives for the first time, going further than a pamphlet issued by the group in 2014 on how to treat slaves.

The fatwa starts with a question: ‘Some of the brothers have committed violations in the matter of the treatment of the female slaves.

‘These violations are not permitted by Sharia law because these rules have not been dealt with in ages. Are there any warnings pertaining to this matter?’

It then lists 15 injunctions, which in some instances go into explicit detail.

For example, one says: ‘If the owner of a female captive, who has a daughter suitable for intercourse, has sexual relations with the latter, he is not permitted to have intercourse with her mother and she is permanently off limits to him.

‘Should he have intercourse with her mother then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her daughter and she is to be off limits to him.’

ISIS’s sexual exploitation of female captives has been well documented, but a leading ISIS expert at Princeton University, Cole Bunzel, who has reviewed many of the group’s writings, said the fatwa went beyond what has previously been published by the militants on how to treat female slaves.

‘It reveals the actual concerns of ISIS slave owners,’ he said in an email.

Still, he cautioned that not ‘everything dealt with in the fatwa is indicative of a relevant violation.

‘It doesn’t mean father and son were necessarily sharing a girl. They’re at least being ‘warned’ not to. But I bet some of these violations were being committed.’

The fatwa also instructs owners of female slaves to ‘show compassion towards her, be kind to her, not humiliate her and not assign her work she is unable to perform.’
An owner should also not sell her to an individual whom he knows will mistreat her.

Professor Abdel Fattah Alawari, dean of Islamic Theology at Al-Azhar University, a 1,000-year-old Egyptian centre for Islamic learning, said ISIS ‘has nothing to do with Islam’ and was deliberately misreading centuries-old verses and sayings that were originally designed to end, rather than encourage, slavery.

‘Islam preaches freedom to slaves, not slavery. Slavery was the status quo when Islam came around,’ he said.

‘Judaism, Christianity, Greek, Roman and Persian civilisations all practiced it and took the females of their enemies as sex slaves.

‘So Islam found this abhorrent practice and worked to gradually remove it.’

In September 2014, more than 120 Islamic scholars from around the world issued an open letter to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi refuting the group’s religious arguments to justify many of its actions. The scholars noted that the ‘reintroduction of slavery is forbidden in Islam.’

THE 15 DOS AND DON’TS FOR ‘OWNERS’ OF ISIS FEMALE SEX SLAVES

It is not permissible for the owner of a female captive to have intercourse with her until after she has had menstrual cycle and becomes clean.
If she does not menstruate and is pregnant, he is not allowed to have intercourse with her until after she has given birth.
It is not permissible to cause her to abort if she is pregnant.
If the owner of a female captive releases her, only he can have intercourse with her and he cannot allow someone else to have intercourse with her.
If the owner of a female captive, who has a daughter suitable for intercourse, has sexual relations with the latter, he is not permitted to have intercourse with her mother and she is permanently off limits to him. Should he have intercourse with her mother then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her daughter and she is to be off-limits to him.
The owner of two sisters is not allowed to have intercourse with both of them; rather he may only have intercourse with just one. The other sister is to be had by him, if he were to relinquish ownership of the first sister by selling her, giving her away or releasing her
If the female captive is owned by a father, his son cannot have intercourse with her and vice-versa. Moreover, intercourse with his wife’s female captive is also not permissible
If a father had intercourse with his female captive then gave her away or sold her to his son, he is no longer permitted to have intercourse with her
If the female captive becomes pregnant by her owner, he cannot sell her and she is released after his death
If the owner releases his female captive then he is not permitted to have intercourse with her afterwards because she has become free and is no longer his property
If two or more individuals are involved in purchasing a female captive, none of them are permitted to have sex with her because she is part of a joint ownership
It is not permissible to have intercouse with a female captive during her menstrual cycle
It is not permissible top have anal sex with a female captive
The owner of a female captive should show compassion towards her, be kind to her, not humiliate her and not assign her work she is unable to perform
The owner of a female captive should not sell her to an individual whom he knows will treat her badly or do unto her what Allah has forbidden

Thousands of Hillary Clinton’s private emails will hit the Internet on New Year’s Eve thanks to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit that permits the State Department to wait until the end of each month to release the documents.

The holiday email release will mark the eighth time the agency has published a batch of Clinton’s records according to the monthly schedule. The first release came in May of this year and contained fewer than 300 emails, all of them related to Benghazi.

Clinton’s use of a personal server to shield her private emails from the public hobbled the early days of her presidential campaign. In the weeks since, her poll numbers have rebounded and speculation about whether the email controversy could cost her the nomination has largely abated.

The former secretary of state saw a turning point in the scandal near the end of October, when she took the stand for a grueling 11-hour hearing before the House Select Committee on Benghazi and fielded dozens of questions about her email use. Clinton’s poll numbers began to climb shortly after the hearing. H-Cell-600-LI

The final batch of Clinton emails will be released to the public Jan. 29. At that point, all 55,000 pages of records will be available online for review.

Clinton has pointed to the State Department’s steady publication of her emails as evidence of her commitment to transparency. However, the documents she turned over to the agency late last year make up only half of the total number of emails that were once stored on her personal server, which is now in FBI custody.

lying so long According to papers filed in the FOIA lawsuit that forced the State Department to begin publishing the emails earlier this year, the agency is scheduled to publish roughly 8,800 pages of records Thursday. The lawsuit was filed by Jason Leopold, a reporter at Vice News.

The New Year’s Eve release should bring the total pages of Clinton emails available online to at least 45,100, with the remainder slated for publication in January. After a slow start, the agency has run ahead of schedule for the past few document releases.

Hundreds of emails are expected to be marked classified in the remaining unpublished email trove, as all monthly releases since this summer have contained classified material.

Climate models used by scientists to predict how much human activities will warm the planet have been over-predicting global warming for the last six decades, according to a recent working paper by climate scientists. “Everyone by now is familiar with the ‘pause’ or ‘slowdown’ in the rate of global warming that has taken place over the past 20 years of so, but few realize is that the observed warming rate has been beneath the model mean expectation for periods extending back to the mid-20th century—60+ years,” Patrick Michaels and Chip Knappenberger, climate scientists at the libertarian Cato Institute, write in a working paper released in December.

Michaels and Knappenberger compared observed global surface temperature warming rates since 1950 to what was predicted by 108 climate models used by government climate scientists to predict how much carbon dioxide emissions will warm the planet. What they found was the models projected much higher warming rates than actually occurred.

“During all periods from 10 years (2006-2015) to 65 (1951-2015) years in length, the observed temperature trend lies in the lower half of the collection of climate model simulations,” Michaels and Knappenberger write, “and for several periods it lies very close (or even below) the 2.5th percentile of all the model runs.”

To further bolster their case that climate models are over-predicting warming rates, Michaels and Knappenberger looked at how climate models fared against satellite and weather balloon data from the mid-troposphere. The result is the same, and climate models predicted way more warming than actually occurred.

“This is a devastating indictment of climate model performance,” Michaels and Knappenberger write. “For periods of time longer than about 20 years, the observed trends from all data sources fall beneath the lower bound which contains 95 percent of all model trends and in the majority of cases, falls beneath even the absolute smallest trend found in any of the 102 climate model runs.”“The amount of that over-prediction comports well with a growing body of scientific findings and growing understanding that the sensitivity of the earth’s surface temperature to rising atmospheric greenhouse gas levels… lies towards (and yet within) the low end of the mainstream assessed likely range.”

Satellite temperatures, which measure the lowest few miles of the Earth’s atmosphere, show there’s been no significant global warming for the last two decades despite rapidly rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. The so-called “hiatus” in warming has sparked an intense debate among climate scientists over what’s caused warming to disappear. Michaels and Knappenberger, however, suggest the “hiatus” and the previous decades of overblown temperature predictions point to a huge flaw in climate science: the climate isn’t as sensitive to CO2 as previously thought.

The Cato scientists argue “climate sensitivity” estimates are too high and are causing climate models to over-predict how much warming will happen with increases in greenhouse gas emissions. Climate sensitivity refers to how much warming would occur with a doubling of atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations.

Climate scientists typically put climate sensitivity at 3 degrees Celsius, but a slew of new studies suggest that’s way too high an estimate based on how much warming has been observed in recent decades. One estimate put together by the U.K.-based Global Warming Policy Foundation last year found climate sensitivity may be as low as 1.75 degrees Celsius — almost half what mainstream climate models use.

Liberals deny ‘the Ferguson effect’ even as Baltimore experiences RECORD HIGH homicide rates!

Baltimore is experiencing record high levels of murder even as liberals deny “the Ferguson effect,” the theory that crime is soaring because police are being intimidated from doing their job properly as a results of anti-cop movements and statements from government officials.

Here are the stats from Baltimore:

Another round of homicides over the weekend in Baltimore — and the death of a student stabbed last month in a school classroom — pushed the total number of killings this year to 336, the second-highest total on record.

Given that the city has many fewer residents now than in the 1990s, this year’s toll already represents the highest per-capita homicide rate in Baltimore history. The city hit that mark last month.

The only year with more homicide deaths was 1993, when there were 353 killings but also about 100,000 more residents.

The latest list of victims provided by Baltimore police includes two men stabbed to death downtown — the first killings in the downtown area this year — as well as a 1-year-old who was killed Dec. 16.

Police identified Antwan Turner, 19, and Brandon Holland, 28, as the two men stabbed to death early Sunday in the 300 block of N. Calvert St. They identified the 1-year-old boy as Brandon Washington of the 700 block of E. 23rd St., and announced they had arrested Timothy Dunbar, 23, of the same address and charged him with second-degree murder in the boy’s death.

The city’s per-capita homicide rate now is 54 per 100,000 residents, the highest ever. In 1993, the rate was 48.8 per 100,000 residents.

With its 336th homicide of the year, Baltimore surpassed the total in 1992, when there were 335 killings.

Now this is not the case across the board. In about half of the larger cities, crime is up, and in the other half, crime is steady or lower. And, over the last 20 years, crime in America generally is in the record lows.

I will not be shooting any Black Panthers this week because I am Kwanza-reform, and we are not that observant. Kwanzaa, celebrated exclusively by white liberals, is a fake holiday invented in 1966 by black radical/FBI stooge Ron Everett — aka Dr. Maulana Karenga, founder of United Slaves, the violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers. In the annals of the American ’60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police.

In what was ultimately a foolish gambit, during the madness of the ’60s, the FBI encouraged the most extreme black nationalist organizations in order to discredit and split the left. The more preposterous the group, the better. By that criterion, Karenga’s United Slaves was perfect.

Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the ’60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. Although some of their most high-profile leaders were drug dealers and murderers, they did not seek armed revolution.

Those were the precepts of Karenga’s United Slaves. The United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented “African” names.

And hasn’t that been a huge help to the black community?

It’s as if David Duke invented a holiday called “Anglika,” which he based on the philosophy of “Mein Kampf” — and clueless public school teachers began celebrating the made-up, racist holiday.

Whether Karenga was a willing FBI dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear.

In the category of the-gentleman-doth-protest-too-much, back in the ’70s, Karenga was quick to criticize Nigerian newspapers that claimed that certain American black radicals were CIA operatives. Karenga publicly denounced the idea, saying, “Africans must stop generalizing about the loyalties and motives of Afro-Americans, including the widespread suspicion of black Americans being CIA agents.”

In a 1995 interview with Ethnic NewsWatch, Karenga matter-of-factly explained that the forces out to get O.J. Simpson for the “framed” murder of two whites included: “the FBI, the CIA, the State Department, Interpol, the Chicago Police Department” and so on. Karenga should know about FBI infiltration. (He further noted that the evidence against O.J. did not “eliminate unreasonable doubt” — an interesting standard of proof.)

Now we know: The FBI fueled the bloody rivalry between the Panthers and United Slaves. In one barbarous outburst, Karenga’s United Slaves shot two Black Panthers to death on the UCLA campus: Al “Bunchy” Carter and John Huggins. Karenga himself served time, a useful stepping-stone for his current position as a black studies professor at California State University at Long Beach.

(Speaking of which, Rep. Paul Ryan certainly is right about what a fantastic job his mentor Jack Kemp did reaching out to all those “socially conservative” minorities. Look at how California has swung decisively to the right since Kemp started all that outreach stuff. Good luck winning California now, Democrats!)

Back to the esteemed Cal State professor: Karenga’s invented holiday is a nutty blend of schmaltzy ’60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism. The seven principles of Kwanzaa are the very same seven principles of the Symbionese Liberation Army, another invention of the Worst Generation.

In 1974, Patty Hearst, kidnap victim-cum-SLA revolutionary, posed next to the banner of her alleged captors, a seven-headed cobra. Each snakehead stood for one of the SLA’s revolutionary principles: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani. These are the exact same seven “principles” of Kwanzaa. And here’s something interesting: Kawaida, Kwanzaa and Kuumba are also the only three Kardashian sisters not to have their own shows on the E! Network.

Kwanzaa praises collectivism in every possible area of life — economics, work, personality, even litter removal. (“Kuumba: Everyone should strive to improve the community and make it more beautiful.”) It takes a village to raise a police snitch. When Karenga was asked to distinguish Kawaida, the philosophy underlying Kwanzaa, from “classical Marxism,” he essentially said that, under Kawaida, we also hate whites.

While taking the “best of early Chinese and Cuban socialism” — excluding, one hopes, mass murder, forced abortions, imprisonment of homosexuals and forced labor — Karenga said Kawaida practitioners believe one’s racial identity “determines life conditions, life chances and self-understanding.”

There’s an inclusive philosophy for you!

Kwanzaa was the result of a ’60s psychosis grafted onto the black community with the tacit encouragement of the FBI. Liberals have become so mesmerized by multicultural gibberish that they have forgotten the real history of Kwanzaa and Karenga’s United Slaves — the violence, the Marxism, the insanity.

Most absurdly, for leftists anyway, they have forgotten the FBI’s tacit encouragement of this murderous black nationalist cult founded by the father of Kwanzaa.

Kwanzaa emerged not from Africa, but from the FBI’s COINTELPRO.

“This is a betrayal of the grassroots and of the Republican Party. We thought we were electing a different crowd to stand up for America, and they didn’t. We’re extremely outraged by what Congress has done. Nancy Pelosi couldn’t have engineered it any better. I think the people are going to react by electing Donald Trump.”

Conservative icon and founder of the Eagle Forum, Phyllis Schlafly, gave an exclusive interview to World Net Daily where she opined that Donald Trump was the “Last Hope for America.” Her comments came in reaction to the passing of the disastrous Omnibus Bill and Trump’s fiery response to the disgusting bill.

Here’s what Trump had to say about the Omnibus bill:

If anyone needed more evidence of why the American people are suffering at the hands of their own government, look no further than the budget deal announced by Speaker Ryan. In order to avoid a government shutdown, a cowardly threat from an incompetent President, the elected Republicans in Congress threw in the towel and showed absolutely no budget discipline.’

“The American people will have to absorb higher deficits, greater debt, less economic liberty and more corporate welfare. Congress cannot seem to help itself in bending to every whim of special interests. How can they face their constituents when they continue to burden our children and grandchildren with debts they will never be able to repay? Our government is failing us, so we must do something about it. Who knows how bad things will be when the next administration comes in and has to pick up the pieces?’

“The only special interest not being served by our government is the American people. It is time we imposed budget discipline by holding the line on spending, getting rid of waste, fraud and abuse, and by taking on our debt. To do these things, we need a President who can lead the fight to hold Congress and the rest of government accountable. Together, we will Make America Great Again.”

Schlafly gave her full-throated support of Trump’s comments to WND.

“It sounds like Donald Trump is the only one who has any fight in him. He will fight for the issues that we really care about and are very hot at the present time, such as the immigration issue. I don’t see anyone else who’s eager to fight.”

She then added that the GOP had just betrayed the American people with their support of the Omnibus bill.

“It’s the worst kind of a betrayal because we thought we elected a bunch of good guys who would shape up the party. We had a lot of fancy promises that the Republicans were going to shape up and change course. And they disappointed us. Betrayal is an appropriate word to describe it.”

When WND wondered if Trump was America’s “last hope,” Schlafly begrudgingly agreed with the sentiment.

“He does look like he’s the last hope [for America]. We don’t hear anybody saying what he’s saying. In fact, most of the people who ought to be lining up with him are attacking him. They’re probably jealous of the amount of press coverage he gets. But the reason he gets so much press coverage is the grassroots are fed up with people who are running things, and they do want a change. They do want people to stand up for America. It really resonates when he says he wants to ‘Make America Great Again.’”

The vote of confidence from one of America’s most iconic conservatives will give Trump a boost with the grassroots conservative movement who still largely look at Trump with a skeptical eye.

Latest.com shared a meme on Facebook that, as of this posting, has over 21,500 “likes.” The meme is a photograph of an American Indian, and the caption reads: “Let me get this straight. You’re afraid of refugees coming to America, killing you, and taking your property?”

indian The comments section is brimming with affirmations such as “Right on!” and “Love this!” Sure, there is some dissent, but the fact that more than 21,500 people clicked the like button means that at least 21,500 people are completely retarded–sorry, learning disabled–because the meme presents a straw man.

First, let’s set aside the facile thinking that takes a complicated situation and reduces it to an 18-word bite, as well as the potential historical inaccuracies, and take the meme at its word. Now let’s break this into two pieces, because there are two essential problems here.

The first issue with this meme is that it’s a straw man. The basement-dweller who created this meme likely fancies himself a pipe-smoking intellectual, but he completely misrepresents the issue.

The American people are not afraid of refugees killing them and taking their property, they are simply wary of thousands of people entering the United States who cannot be properly vetted–specifically because two of the perpetrators of the terror attack in Paris arrived in Greece as alleged Syrian refugees.

James Comey, the director of the FBI, said refugees coming from Syria would be difficult to vet with any degree of certainty because of the chaos in Syria. Is it not rational then that we be reticent? Is it not rational to say that in an era of mass-casualty attacks by Islamic radicals–radicals who have already proven that they can hide among refugees–that we take a breath to asses the situation before opening the gates to potential dangers? Apparently not. We’re just bigots. Do you want

Additionally, who said we’re afraid the refugees will take our property? I’ll tell you who: The mouth-breather who created the meme.

Second, and possibly most important, the meme disproves itself. If we take the meme at face value, the question must be asked: How’d that work out for the Indians?

This scoop from Jerry Markon and David Nakamura is going to scramble the politics of immigration in the presidential race, and it may create more problems for Democrats than for Republicans:

The Department of Homeland Security has begun preparing for a series of raids that would target for deportation hundreds of families who have flocked to the United States since the start of last year, according to people familiar with the operation.

The nationwide campaign, to be carried out by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as soon as early January, would be the first large-scale effort to deport families who have fled violence in Central America, those familiar with the plan said. More than 100,000 families with both adults and children have made the journey across the southwest border since last year, though this migration has largely been overshadowed by a related surge of unaccompanied minors.

The ICE operation would target only adults and children who have already been ordered removed from the United States by an immigration judge, according to officials familiar with the undertaking…The adults and children would be detained wherever they can be found and immediately deported. The number targeted is expected to be in the hundreds and possibly greater.

Read the rest for the details, but the short version is that there has been vigorous internal debate inside the Obama administration about this policy, and it has not been signed off on officially. The administration has long signaled that families crossing over illegally who do not qualify for asylum will be deported. But advocates have been urging the administration to treat these migrants as refugees, because experts believe that violence in Central America is a key reason for their efforts to cross the southern border. illegalalienvoters-300x300

In a preview of more to come, a leading immigration advocate, Frank Sharry of America’s Voice, told me that there will be intense pressure on the Democratic presidential candidates — particularly likely nominee Hillary Clinton — to denounce the new policy. Sharry pointed out that this could force Clinton to decide whether to align with immigration advocates and Latinos, as she’s been doing in hopes of winning the Latino vote by a huge margin in the general election, which would mean breaking with the Obama administration and adopting a position that Republicans will attack as weak on immigration enforcement.

“This will be a political nightmare for the Democrats,” Sharry told me. “The specter of raids picking up families and sending them back to violent countries is going to put Hillary Clinton in a difficult position. She’ll have to choose between protecting refugees from Central America, a demand of the Latino community, or standing with the law-and-order position of Obama and Republicans.”

In 2014, when the crisis of unaccompanied children crossing the border dominated the news, Clinton triggered an outcry from immigration advocates when she suggested that they should be “sent back.” Clinton subsequently clarified her position, arguing that the process should be improved so those children who are genuine refugees would be recognized and treated as such. But the episode called into question whether Clinton can take Latino support for granted.

The new moves also may threaten to blur the contrasts that Democrats have been working hard to draw with Republicans. The rise of Donald Trump — with his call for mass deportations and fondness for insulting millions of immigrants — has helped drag the GOP ever rightward on immigration and has Democrats dreaming of a 2012-level victory among Latinos in 2016, a demographic edge that would be very hard for Republicans to overcome. Sharry suggested that if the Dem nominee doesn’t full-throatedly condemn the new policy, it could compromise the sharp contrast Dems have etched.

Indeed, one can imagine Trump taking credit for the stepped-up deportations at one of his rallies, arguing that, by forcing a conversation about the true nature of the immigrant threat (which he likes to claim credit for doing), he has forced spineless elites to confront it. That could theoretically make it harder for Clinton to align with Obama. “The administration will be accused of being Trump-like with immigrants,” Sharry said. “She’ll have to choose.”

Last week The Heritage Foundation’s Jason Snead wrote about the new FAA drone registry:

This week, the Federal Aviation Administrationannounced the formationof a new drone registry. As of Dec. 21, failing to register a drone that weighs more than 0.55 pounds—roughly the weight of two sticks of butter—can land you in jail for up to three years and subject you to $27,500 in civil penalties and $250,000 in criminal fines.

That’s right. According to the FAA, come Monday, it will be a federal felony to fail to comply with a regulatory decree that did not exist a mere seven days earlier.

Going forward, every drone owner whose aircraft meets the weight requirement at takeoff will be required to register his or her drones with the FAA. The FAA will be collecting names, addresses, and emails from drone owners, and issuing certificates of registry and a unique ID number (similar to an aircraft tail number) that owners must display on their aircraft. According to the FAA, this registry requirement will promote a safety culture among recreational drone operators and deter bad actors from flying their drones dangerously.

For those keeping track, it was only two months ago that the FAA announced it was forming a task force to come up with recommendations for the implementation of a drone registry. One month later, the Task Force, having met for all of three days, returned aseries of recommendations. And today, three weeks later, the FAA has used its regulatory authority to establish a recreational drone registry.

There is one problem with this: The FAA is acting contrary to a law that Congress passed in 2012, which prevents the FAA from doing what it has now done by proactively banning it from regulating model aircraft—including drones when they are used for recreational or hobby purposes.

Section 336 of theFAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012plainly states:

Notwithstanding any other provision of law relating to the incorporation of unmanned aircraft systems in Federal Aviation Administration plans and policies, including this subtitle, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration may not promulgate any rule or regulation regarding a model aircraft, or an aircraft being developed as a model aircraft[.]

The FAA’sfeeble responseto this apparent congressional prohibition is that establishing the drone registry is not, in fact, a regulation. Further, the FAA asserts that it has always had the authority to require model aircraft, including drones, to be registered. According to the FAA, when Congress defined drones as “aircraft” in the 2012 statute, it actually affirmed the FAA’s legal authority—despite the prohibition on regulatory action—to require that they be registered in the future.

This argument is absurd on its face.

The statute plainly establishes that recreational aircraft are beyond regulation so long as they do not exceed 55 pounds, are operated safely and in accordance with “community-based set[s] of safety guidelines,” do not endanger the national airspace, and are flown in conjunction with airport operators when they fly within five miles of an airport.

In other words, Congress wants local jurisdictions to set the rules governing recreational drone use.

This does not mean the FAA lacks any authority to act with regard to drones. In fact, it has a congressional mandate to regulate commercial drone use—a responsibility it thoroughly bungled when it missed its deadline to develop a commercial drone regulatory framework. And Section 336 expressly grants the FAA the authority to pursue enforcement action against specific recreational or hobby drone users who endanger the national airspace.

A blanket registry requirement for all drone owners, by contrast, would appear to be exactly what Congress does not want the FAA to do.

Nevertheless, the FAA is pushing forward with its registry rush job, insisting that requiring drones to be registered and marked will somehow allow law enforcement officials to tie illicitly flown drones back to their owners.

All evidence, however, points to the contrary. The FAA lacks the ability to track drone purchases en masse, making general enforcement of the registry requirement all but impossible. While good-faith drone owners will likely comply, bad actors who buy drones intending to fly into the paths of passenger jets or interfere with firefighting operations will have no incentive to register, since they are essentially signing their own arrest warrants. And even if they did register, what good would it do if the drone is sucked into a jet engine or melted by wildfire, or if—as happens frequently—it returns safely to its owner?

As a result, the FAA has succeeded once more at inserting the federal bureaucracy into an area it previously did not inhabit, without clear authority from Congress, without adequate notice to or comment from the public, and without actually solving any of the problems it claims to be tackling. All the while, it is acting directly contrary to the will of Congress and exposing millions of Americans to outrageously steep civil fines and criminal liability.

Should failing to register a small flying toy that may never leave an owner’s yard really amount to a federal felony? According to the FAA, the answer is “yes.”

But don’t worry: FAA officials insist that the threat of jail time is more about achieving compliance than actually punishing owners who do not register their drones.

In this era of overcriminalization, that assurance falls on deaf ears. So long as an unnecessary criminal law is on the books, it exposes otherwise innocent people to arbitrary enforcement—and that is how you get cases likeAbner Schoenwettergoing to prison for packing lobsters in plastic rather than cardboard boxes, orBobby Unserbeing prosecuted for snowmobiling onto federal land while lost in a blinding blizzard and struggling to survive.

The FAA’s drone registry is public policy at its worst: rushed, opaque, and sure to trap innocent people in the web of overcriminalization.
