Leftist Website Breaks “Islamophobia” Story, Quickly KILLS It When They Learn Details

Written by Wes Walker on December 31, 2015

You might be forgiven if you are unfamiliar with Salon, many people are. They’re one of the Uber-Left op-ed sites that — by comparison — make Huffpo look like an impartial news source. As I write this, they are featuring stories celebrating Michael Moore [and how he exploded the Right’s biggest lie]. Or prominent Atheist Sam Harris and his “detestable crusade” against Islam. News flash, Harris hates ALL religion. He’s merely being consistent, unlike Salon who only slanders Christianity. Throw in a few articles attacking traditional perceptions of Reagan and Lincoln and you have a good sense of where they are coming from.

Most importantly, however. They are our moral superiors — at least, in their own minds. Remember, the Right isn’t ever just “wrong” it is necessary to insist that we are actually evil. This is important to their rhetoric. Enough background — on with the story.

Well, these supposed paragons of virtue reported an arson incident on a Mosque. This is the kind of story they would happily get behind. It paints America as generally mean-spirited and bigoted. It unflinchingly portrays the darlings of the day (currently Islam) as the “poor victim”.

They reported the story on Wednesday. It described an attack on Christmas Day, shortly after Friday prayers at the Islamic Center of Houston. In an article relating the arrest of suspect Gary Moore, Salon writer Ben Norton described this attack as Islamophobic. But that was a mistake. A serious one.

Why is the conclusion of it being hate-based such a big mistake? Well, could it be that the author was guilty of “profiling”? Seeing the accused did not use a Middle-Eastern name, might he have just assumed a hatred of Islam?

But really, what would stop him? It is a time-worn Leftist tactic to slander people you have identified as “the enemy”. And disproving an accusation of Islamophobia would usually be tricky.

Usually, this smear tactic is reserved for Americans with traditional views, who lean right-of-center on political issues, hold to old-school religious beliefs, or who traditional views of marriage. With an Anglo name like Gary Moore, the racist-hater card might have seemed a slam dunk.

Except for one little detail. Gary Moore is not only Muslim himself, he is a MEMBER of that same Islamic Center who had prayed their earlier that SAME DAY. (Even police say the motive is currently unknown.)

No problem, right? Just an honest mistake? Like any serious publication, the Editor-in-Chief has posted a correction notice? I mean, even the New York Times does that when it admits to being wrong. That’s what they did, right?

Actually, no. They nuked the story and pretended it never happened. All that remains is a lovely 404 error. Will Gary Moore raise it as an issue? Will he complain about being slandered as “Islamophobic” when he is a Muslim himself? Will the public demand a correction notice?

Are we going to call BS when they throw around such labels in the future, like the Boy Who Cried Wolf, now that The Public knows who and what Salon really is?

Or, more likely, will they go back finger-wagging and complaining about the supposed “Biggest Lies” on the Right?  You know, the kind those “Professional Truth-Tellers” like Michael Moore are so famously, uh, “exploding”.

One last thing to ponder as you go. When all was said and done, there still was a real arson that actually did burn down a center of religious worship. It really was still a news story. But they pulled it. Are we now to understand that the suffering of those who had their building torched is only newsworthy if it can be used as a cudgel against Salon’s political foes?

Moral superiority, indeed.

California killers’ link to controversial New York mosque

The California terror couple had an Allah-praising sticker slapped on a dresser drawer in their town house that traces back to a Muslim organization with headquarters in Queens, The Post has learned. The decal, which has a prayer for coming out of the bathroom, is from the Islamic Circle of North America Sisters’ Wing, and says, “Praise to be Allah Who relieved me from the suffering and gave me relief.”

The mother of terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, attended classes at the ICNA’s Los Angeles branch, and graduated from a course titled “Journey through the Quran Session” in the summer of 2014. A “certificate of appreciation” awarded to Rafia Farook was found inside the couple’s Redlands home when reporters were allowed to enter on Friday.

The conservative organization, which was first established in 1968 and is headquartered in Jamaica, Queens, has drawn fire from Jewish groups in recent years.

“At the 2010 ICNA-MAS convention in Rosemont, Illinois, several speakers delivered anti-Semitic remarks, including portraying the Jews as having undue influence on the U.S. government and linking Judaism to theft and oppression,” the Anti-Defamation League wrote.

They also cited a convention in 2009 in Chicago where religious scholars and activists allegedly called for “the eradication of the state of Israel and accuse the United States government as waging a war against Muslims at home and abroad.”

According to the Albany Times Union, US law-enforcement agencies have investigated the group for terrorist connections, but no one has ever been prosecuted.

And in 2009, five ICNA members from Alexandria, Va., were detained in Pakistan for allegedly trying to join terror groups and fight US forces, according to the ADL.

Following Wednesday’s San Bernardino attack, the ICNA issued a statement saying it is “appalled at today’s mass shooting.”

The husband of Rafia’s teacher, Munira Ahmad, said they knew Rafia and one of Farook’s sisters as part of their congregation.

“We are upset about the killings, too,” Mahmoud Ahmad said. “We cannot believe what has happened to these victims and their families.”Bull

“We Muslims are uncomfortable with them because they translate the Koran into an out-of-context, absurd ideology,” he added. “They are fanatics and they would not hesitate to kill us, too.”

An assistant imam at ICNA headquarters in Queens also blasted the killers, saying, “We don’t support this type of irrational act.”

“We have a saying that if you kill one innocent person, it’s like you are killing the entire humanity, and if you save just one person, it is like you are saving the entire humanity,” said Syed Rahman.

Citizens With AR-15s Surround Texas Mosque… Send Unmistakable Message to Muslims

According to KDFW-TV, the group picketing outside the Islamic Center of Irving numbered about 15. One carried a placard that said “Solution to Islamic terrorism,” with an arrow pointing to another protester — an armed man in fatigues.

The protests took place with heavy police presence, including a SWAT team on standby. However, no incidents were reported.

“We are here protesting Syrian refugees coming to America, protesting the Islamization of America,” said David Wright, BAIR spokesman.

“I think the popular belief is, people are scared. They’re scared to say anything about it. They’re scared to come out to a place like this and stand in front of a mosque and protest Islam.”

As for the AR-15s, BAIR said they were necessary for the purposes of the protest.

“We do want to show force,” Wright said. “It would be ridiculous to protest Islam without defending ourselves.”

Protesters insisted they were being unfairly pegged as racists.

“It’s a boiling pot. The kettle … the top on this kettle is on really really tight and it is going to blow,” said a protester who didn’t want his name publicized. “I may look like their version of a racist but I’m not. I’m not even a racist here. I just don’t want them to push their beliefs down my throat.”

The city where the protest took place is no accident. Although perhaps best known as the home of the Dallas Cowboys, Irving was also the home to Muslim teenager Ahmed “Bomb Clock” Mohamed, the 13-year-old whose “homemade” clock looked enough like a bomb to get him taken out of school in handcuffs for it in September.

In addition, Irving also was home to what was to be the first Shariah law court in America earlier this year. However, city officials intervened and the project was halted.

Muslims Arrive at Mosque… Discover “Horrifying” Surprise Left by Angry Oklahomans

waving flagURL of the original posting site:

Residents of Edmond, Oklahoma, were angry about the construction of a local mosque. Apparently, some residents decided that they would do something very dramatic about it that has Muslims all over the world fuming. The members of the Islamic Society of Edmond arrived at their mosque last week for Friday prayers to find raw bacon wrapped around the door handles of the building. Police are now trying to track down the perpetrators of the porcine incident.Picture1

America’s favorite Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, wasted no time injecting themselves into the incident. CAIR’s Oklahoma chapter immediately called upon on state and federal authorities to open investigations into the incident. Oklahoma has become an unusual flashpoint for concerns over Islam over the past year.

Last September, a Muslim named  Alton Alexander Nolen violently beheaded a fellow employee, Colleen Hufford, at a Moore, Oklahoma, food plant last September. According to police, Nolen had recently been suspended from his job and had been trying to convert fellow employees. “After conducting interviews with coworkers of Nolen information was obtained that he recently … started trying to convert some of his coworkers to the Muslim religion,” Officer Jeremy Lewis of the Moore Police Department said at the time of the incident.

Several months later, Muslim Jimmy Stepney attacked a Christian he was staying with in Oklahoma City after an argument over religion.

“He said he felt like more Muslims need to step up to the plate and do certain thing(s),” Jerome Bullock, the man Stepney was saying with, told reporters. “He was talking about beheading people.”

Stepney was asked to leave the house but refused, and the incident ended with Stepney attempting to stab Bullock.

Given the uptick in tension, it’s no surprise that Oklahoma is one of a number of states considering banning Shariah law, with no less than seven bills on the topic working their way through the state legislature at last report.

It’s also seen less-legal incidents, including last Friday’s bacon affair in Edmond and an incident where the windows of another mosque were shot out with a BB gun (H/T Mad World News). Police would not release the location of the other mosque or whether they believed the two incidents to be connected.

BRASS BALLS: Angola Bans Islam and Will Destroy All the Mosques

By / 24 November  2013

Screen Shot 2013-11-23 at 5.59.29 PM

By popular demand, Angolan authorities have taken pre-emptive action and  decided to ban the Muslim religion, which they consider a cult, NOT a  religion. They see what Muslims are doing to Christians, especially in Africa,  and are taking steps to prevent the same from happening in Angola.

Xibaaru  In early October 2013, the Muslims  living in Luanda in the municipality of Viana Zango were shocked to see the  minaret of their mosque dismantled into pieces on the ground without  permission. On Thursday 03 October in the morning, the Angolan authorities  decided to destroy the mosque Zango located in the urban district of Viana 17  km. The governor of Luanda Bento announced in a radio spot that radical  Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of  mosques in Angola.

And on Tuesday, November 19, the Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e  Silva said. “Regarding Islam, the legalization process has not been  approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Therefore all mosques  would be closed until further notice. “ It should be noted that the Angolan government has made closing of all mosques a  priority. The only two mosques located in Luanda have already received a  warning document  signed by the mayor of the municipality of Viana José  Moreno.

$100 million mega-mosque coming to this state

‘We will show our friends in the U.S. who we actually are’

Chelsea Schilling is a commentary editor and staff writer for WND, an editor of Jerome Corsi’s Red Alert and a proud U.S. Army veteran. She has also worked as a news producer at USA Radio Network and as a news reporter for the Sacramento Union.
Turkey’s Islamist government is constructing a massive $100 million, 15-acre mosque in Lanham, Md., that is expected to “become the largest and most striking example of Islamic architecture in the Western hemisphere” by October 2014.

In May, Turkey Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan placed a ceremonial stone at the construction site. Now the five-building project known as the Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center is well underway in the town just outside Washington, D.C., with a population of about 10,000.

As the Clarion Project explains, mosques have been springing up all over the U.S. in recent years. As many as 80 percent of the mosques in America have been built in the last 12 years – since the 2001 terror attacks.

“A large majority of mosques in the United States are led by Wahhabi clerics,” the Project explains. “Wahhabism is an extreme brand of Islam practiced dominantly in Saudi Arabia. According to Muslim estimates, up to 80 percent of mosques in the U.S. are owned, operated and led by Wahhabis.

“These radical mosques often promote the installation of Sharia law, an extreme ideology that considers ‘non-believers’ to be infidels. According to Wahhabis, jihad or support of jihad is a Muslim duty. They believe that suicide bombers and martyrs are worthy of the highest praise and reward. And radicals are anticipating the day when an Islamic state will one day span the U.S.”

How can you defend America against Islamic supremacist encroachment? In “Stop the Islamization of America,” renowned activist Pamela Geller provides the answer, offering proven, practical guidance on how freedom lovers can stop jihadist initiatives in local communities.

As many as four studies have independently concluded that 80 percent of U.S. mosques “were teaching jihad, Islamic supremacism, and hatred and contempt for Jews and Christians,” Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch has reported.

Spencer noted, “We are increasingly seeing Muslim patrols in the proximity of mosques saying to passers-by that they can’t walk a dog, wear a skirt, drink alcohol.”

But Dr. Yasar Colak, president of the Turkish American Community Center, told the World Bulletin his organization has special plans for the new mega-mosque, which will be designed in accordance with 16th century Ottoman architecture:

“We will show our friends in the U.S. who we actually are and the main principle of our civilization,” he said. “We will present our peaceful culture. We will try to erase the bad reputation of Muslims and Islam created following September 11 attacks.”

In 2009, WND was one of the first to report plans for a new Islamic mosque just steps from Ground Zero where Muslim terrorists murdered 2,751 people in the name of Allah on Sept. 11, 2001. The New York Daily News recently reported the same developer now “controls three adjacent properties on Park Place, leaving neighbors wondering whether the mysterious owner has a mega mosque planned for the block.”

According to the Assembly of Turkish American Associations, the Turkish American Culture and Civilization Center will include facilities for activities relating to:

  • Religious services and education
  • Turkish language education
  • Turkish history lectures
  • Turkish culinary arts classes
  • Cultural exchange
  • Recreation, sports, and health
  • U.S. immigration and citizenship
  • Women’s equality and empowerment education
  • Civic engagement and public advocacy
  • Business, commerce and trade development
  • Spiritual wellness

“There are 19 [Turkish American Community Centers] nationwide,” the Assembly states. ”TACCs represent a board spectrum of Turkish American society, promoting secular democracy and respect towards diverse lifestyles.”

As the Clarion Project reported, the Turkish mosque groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the leaders of two U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities: Naeem Baig, president of the Islamic Circle of North America, and Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America. A 1991 memo links both organizations to the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. Page 7 of the memo states that the Brotherhood’s “work in America” is “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within.”

Also in May, President Obama welcomed Erdogan, who has been a constant advocate for Hamas in Gaza, to the White House. Erdogan brought with him Mavi Marmara, the father of an Islamic jihadist killed in the 2010 raid on a Gaza flotilla. Marmara has indicated he wants the Obama administration to sue Israel over the raid.

Erdogan has said, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers.”

At the May ceremony for the new mosque, he warned of groups promoting “Islamophobia,” and just one month earlier, he called Zionism and “Islamophobia” “crime[s] against humanity.”

Judicial Watch noted, “During the recent visit to the mosque construction site in Maryland, Erdogan’s deputy prime minister, Bülent Arınç, slipped away from the delegation for a day, according to a newspaper that covers Turkish affairs abroad. Arınç reportedly visited an ‘Islamic scholar’ who lives in self-imposed exile in Pennsylvania.”

Americans overwhelmingly opposed the Ground Zero mosque, but why was it being built in the first place? WND’s Molotov Mitchell explores what’s really going on in his exclusive in-depth, investigative documentary, “The Mosque.”

British planning lawyer Gavin Boby, an expert on zoning permissions who has successfully blocked the construction of more than 16 mosques in the U.K., explained that the significance of mosques extends far beyond religious purposes:

This is the Islamic doctrine, every mosque is instructed to be based upon the original mosque in Medina, where Muhammad originally in the 7th century set up his religious-political doctrine of social control, and the mosque is a place of government, it is a place where treaties are made, death sentences are passed, armies are blessed and dispatched, it is primarily about political control and it is very much used as a tool of advance. Prime Minister Erdogan of Turkey talked about that, the Muslim Brotherhood compared their mosques to battalions and to beehives, where Muslims will gather and then advance, and there’s nothing new about this, it goes back to the 7th century.

In his 2010 exclusive WND column, William Federer, author of “What Every American Needs to Know About the Quran: A History of Islam and the United States,” listed dozens of historical cases in which mosques were erected as signs of Muslim conquest.

In 630 A.D. after he captured Mecca, Muhammad himself converted the Ka’aba, a pagan pantheon, into a mosque.

Boby, who runs the Law and freedom Foundation, also explained that the word “mosque” is strategically omitted during the application process:

“The method is very simple,” he said. “A planning application gets submitted for a mosque in an area, and it will never be called a ‘mosque.’ It will be called a community center; an inter-faith center; a public community, harmony-building outreach center, and then the neighbors contact us, and it’s usually people who have never been involved in politics before, are shy of politics and officialdom and ask us to help them to resist it.”
