A Love Affair with Social Justice

As an American society we have become enamored with the idea of social justice. This worthy love, though, can be rendered empty. Like a man caught in a rapturous affair, there is no true love or fidelity. There is only a surge of exciting—albeit fleeting—emotion and the ideation of someone or something. After the surge is over and the warm fuzzies fade away, so too does the affair.

And so it all too often is with social justice. How in vogue it is to discuss or, perhaps more accurately, merely wag a finger at any given injustice. Be it the lack of respect afforded to the homeless or the prevalence of human trafficking. We hear of these issues, perhaps have our hearts stirred a bit, chime in passionately on social media to join our voices to the cause, and then promptly proceed no further at all.

Digging deeper…

It is too easy to merely talk about some grand injustice. The discussion alone is enough to make one feel cultured, concerned, and compassionate. Social justice cannot simply be a discussion of the unjust, though, but also how to turn injustice toward justice. Furthermore, this must be a discussion that gives due respect to the subject as well as the very real men, women, and children affected by it. That in turn requires real effort.

We must learn and research further, because reading a couple of Tweets does not make a thorough investigation. We must dig deeper into the issues. There are questions to consider beyond the obvious “What is the problem?” Consider, for example:

  • How did this problem arise? What previous blind spots in our awareness allowed this to happen? Perhaps if we understand the injustice’s genesis, we will have insight into solutions or at the very least how to prevent this injustice in other geographical areas and in the future.

  • Who is directly affected by this issue? Who is indirectly affected? Victims are not the only ones we must be concerned with. We must also consider their families and friends, we must consider their communities and governments, and we must consider the perpetrators of the injustice.

  • What are some solutions to this issue? Who is capable and responsible in carrying out those solutions? What will be the long-term effects of the solutions? Are those solutions themselves just?

  • In the pursuit of justice, are the victims of injustice being given true value and respect—as partners in justice? Or are they being relegated to mere statistics and recipients of do-gooder intentions?

  • And then we must of course ask what justice is and what it looks like.

Moreover, when contemplating and discussing the questions of injustice and justice, Christians must be attentive to our mindsets and roles. To do this, we must not simply become angry or appalled at some injustice, but allow ourselves to truly experience the gravity of reality. And the reality is that we live in a broken and painful world.

If tears are called for, then by all means weep. But then remember that Christ was first the redeemer of our own brokenness, the healer of our pain. If we truly believe that, the implications are staggering because they mean that Christ-likeness must be at the center of our pursuit of justice. That means a pursuit of justice predicated upon humility, grace, compassion, restoration, and yes, even forgiveness.

Do not misunderstand me. I do not in any way mean to advocate for some naïve, sugar coated meekness. We should absolutely be for strength and boldness in our conception of justice. Strength, though, does not mean bitter anger or violence. And justice does not mean revenge.

If Christ is indeed in us, then we are called to conceptualize and pursue justice as Christ would. And so of course beyond all of these other questions and contemplations, there is one of the toughest questions that must be asked:  What am I going to do about it?

Doing justice…

Because after we ask ourselves those tough questions, we must go a step further and do something or we are no more than a clanging cymbal. The problem with the modern social justice movement then is not merely in how it is discussed, but also in the frequent divorce of word and deed. We forget all too easily our responsibilities to go and do.

The prophet Micah admonished, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). Even more sharply, James writes, “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17). In other words, unless coupled with action, our words, emotions, and good intentions are worthless—for they do nothing to right the injustice.

Clearly, then, it is not enough to talk about justice. We must do justice. There is admittedly a danger here in that many have a tendency to go and do rashly without the proper preparation or skillset. As many social workers, teachers, pastors, and law enforcement officials could attest, this well-meaning but ultimately vigilante-like justice can cause problems for those already in pursuit of righting a given injustice.

And so we must do carefully, do intentionally, but most importantly—do, lest we forget that every day the homeless are for some reason regarded as something less than the beautiful and valuable individuals the Lord created them to be, or that every day women and children are trafficked-taken, raped, and discarded or enslaved. Trafficking is a contemporary tragedy that AFA has begun to address on a frequent basis, highlighting ministries which are committed to rescue victims and end the vile practice. Is it the most we can muster up in their defense to click “Share” on social media? Please, by all means love social justice but then strive to pursue that love in a manner worthy of your calling.

The scope of injustice of course extends far beyond the issues of homelessness and human trafficking. If, however, you would like to begin doing justice but are unsure of where to begin, please take a look at the organizations, resources, and suggestions below.

Today, I feel rage. Real, hateful, all-consuming rage. Which is not an emotion I feel very often. As a matter of fact, the last time I felt exactly as I feel right now was 14 years ago when terrorists flew commercial airplanes into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. If it’s possible to be so angry that you can feel the blood in your veins rising in temperature…that was how I felt then, and that is how I feel now.

muslim-obamaBecause on July 16, four United States Marines and a Navy Sailor were brutally murdered on American soil by what appears to be a radical islamic terrorist. Five people who voluntarily chose to defend this country, were shot to death, executed, on American soil.

Let me reiterate where they were murderedby a radicalized muslim. On American soil. To make matters worse, they faced this lone-wolf extremist completely unarmed.

While the dead gunmen who carried out this plot can be held responsible for pulling the trigger, the blood of five members of our military stains the hands of countless others in American “leadership” who have sat idle as our President protects his legacy, and neglects our safety.

What took place in Chattanooga is what happens when you don’t have the balls to name your enemy. It’s what happens when you prioritize domestic feel-good-policies over a strategy to stop evil in its tracks.cause of death

In my opinion, the calculated execution of these service members by a radicalized Muslim terrorist is equivalent to the acts of war we faced on September 11th, and when Pearl Harbor was attacked. In both cases, the loss of American life on our own soil was unacceptable, and we retaliated with full force against those who had committed such atrocities.

Like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, the Chattanooga murders were a shot across the bow. Will we now seek justice for the fallen by finally declaring war on an enemy who is already at war with us? Or will our “leaders” stamp some asinine classification on this shooting the same way they did with Ft. Hood, in an attempt to defer going to war. All in the name of Obama’s legacy as the “President of Peace”?Constancy

Two of the Marines and the sailor murdered yesterday leave behind children. And it’s crippling to imagine that one day those kids may have the following conversation with their mothers:

Child: Mom, how did Daddy die?

Mom: Well sweetheart, he died serving in the Marine Corps. He was killed by a terrorist.

Child: What country was he deployed to when he died, Mom?

Mom: Well honey…he wasn’t deployed. He was killed by that terrorist right here on American soil.

I don’t know about anyone else…but I can’t get that damn scenario out of my head. I can’t stop feeling rage because three families will have to have that conversation with their children and their grandchildren. I can’t stop feeling rage because a complete lack of “leadership” has led us to this place where our enemy is one step ahead of us.

Today, we are mourning the lives of four brave Marines and one Navy Sailor because our “leaders” are more concerned about not offending certain groups of people, than protecting this country from evil. Because they’re more concerned with the optics of the President’s term in office rather than making sure we are strong and safe from those who want to run a black sheet up the flag pole on the White House lawn.

To the families of GySgt. Thomas Sullivan, LCpl. Skip Wells, SSgt. David Wyatt, Sgt. Carson Holmquist, PO2 Randall Smith, we’re praying for you, and we stand with you. Because #MilitaryLivesMatter.

Give Trump the Medal of Freedom

The problem with guys like Ari Fleischer, the former press secretary of George W. Bush, is that he’s drunk the inside-the-beltway political Kookaid for so long that he actually believes his own spin. Poor guy went down for the third time in the denial goo long ago. Donald Trump’s biggest critics all believe that the engine of all things good and serious emanates from the professional Fedzillacrats who apparently enjoy wallowing in the said goo of Washington, D.C.

In a recent Politico article, Fleischer is quoted as saying, in part, that “Donald Trump is like watching a roadside accident. Everybody pulls over to see the mess.”

Donald Trump is a mess? Maybe Mr. Fleischer should open up the political garbage can he and the majority of Fedzillacrats live in and take a look at the real, certifiable, rotting, stinking mess that has been caused by the professional scammers of both political stripes for the past 50 years.Reality 2

If you want to watch a real political train wreck, witness a real mess in progress, you need look no further than the professional politicians who have borrowed and spent this country into oblivion. Trump that if you dare.

Carry on, Mr. Trump. Unless you are taking flak, you’re not over the target.

And for the record, I dare anybody to show me one word from Trump that isn’t accurate. What sort of denial gagged liar denies that our country is being invaded by drugrunners, murderers and rapists? What sort of denial gagged liar could possibly believe Trump meant legal immigrants?

GOP, your very existence is on the line here. Show some honesty or you’re done.

Ben Carson: Government Doesn’t Get to Decide if We are a Pro-Life Nation, We Do

Dr. Ben Carson is a brain surgeon who has written eight books including a few New York Times best sellers about his work in medicine. He also happens to be running for president and is adamantly pro-life. Today at the National Right to Life (NRLC) Convention he shared about his work and how it’s affected his pro-life beliefs.

He said, “There are few things I like to talk about more than life.  My whole career has been about that. There is nothing that you have that is more valuable than your life.”

He explained that this is exactly why he’s against Obamacare because it gives bureaucrats the power to do they want with health care.

Dr. Carson said, “America was designed around the people, with the government to facilitate life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. With the Affordable Care Act, the government comes along and says ‘We don’t care what you the people think.’ It turns the whole concept of America on it’s head and if we continue to accept it, where else will it go? It’s up to us the people to stand up for what we believe in.”

Additionally, Dr. Carson explained that he performed the first ever successful intrauterine surgery on a unborn baby who had Hydrocephalus, which causes a baby to accumulate fluid around the brain. He was amazed when he inserted a shunt and saw the baby’s head shrink on the ultrasound. Remarkably, the baby survived and later he mentioned that many pro-abortion physicians would have advised the mother to abort that child rather than save its life through surgery.

Dr. Carson stressed that technology and education can change the face of the pro-life movement. He said, “It’s hard to keep people in the dark with the technology that exists today and we have to continue to make that available to everybody because it’s education that’s going to save us. Our founders said that our society and liberties are based on well informed and an educated populous. Why? Because they realized that people who are uneducated are easy to manipulate.”Picture4

Dr. Carson is correct; medical technology is one of the reasons the pro-life movement is thriving today. For example, countless babies are saved every year thanks to ultrasounds, which can show the baby in utero in incredible detail. In fact, statistics show that 78% of pregnant women who see an ultrasound of their baby reject abortion.Picture15

At the NRLC convention, Dr. Carson concluded by saying that millions of Christians didn’t vote in the last election and it’s critically important that those people go to the polls in 2016 and vote pro-life. He said, “We have a government that believes we aren’t a Judeo-Christian nation. But they don’t get to decide that, we get to decide that.”Picture14

As LifeNews previously reported, in 2013, Dr. Carson shared what he believes about the supposed “war on women” at the Voters Value Summit. He said, “You know, there are those of us in this society who have told women that there’s a war on them because that cute little baby inside of them, they may want to get rid of it and there are people that are keeping you from doing that,”

Carson continued. “And women say, ‘No, no, they’re not doing that to me! No!’ And they get all riled up.” He continued, “There is no war on them, the war is on their babies, Babies that cannot defend themselves. Over the past few decades, we have destroyed 55 million of them. And we have the nerve to call other societies of the past heathen. What we need to do is re-educate the women to understand that they are the defenders of these babies.”

ISIS: 0; Ted Kennedy: Too Many To Count

In the days leading up to July Fourth weekend, Americans were hysterically warned about an ISIS attack in the United States. Congressman Peter King, for example, somberly advised Fox News viewers that “this is the most concerned I’ve seen the FBI and Homeland Security” since 9/11.

And, once again, the weekend came and went without anyone in America being killed by ISIS, but a lot of people being killed by immigrants — legal, illegal, second generation and anchor babies. There’s no way to know exactly how many Americans were killed July Fourth weekend as a result of the country’s immigration policies, because the media don’t trust us with the truth. 

But the holiday weekend kicked off with the news that an illegal alien from Mexico, Francisco Sanchez, had shot and killed 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle on Wednesday on a San Francisco pier. The most surprising aspect of the crime was that we were told right away that Steinle’s suspected killer was an illegal alien. Usually, we only find out that the perp was an immigrant years later when the Spanish translators show up in court.

The day after Steinle was shot to death, the Associated Press reported that members of the Mexican mafia and their associates — Loribeth Martinez, John Mendoza Jr., Kristopher Sanchez and Veronica Sanchez — had been arrested for the murder of two people, Traci Lynn Lemley and Jeremy Carrico, in San Antonio, Texas.

Also on Thursday:

– A fifth suspect in a shooting in Las Vegas, Benjamin Hernandez, was arrested. He joined Yors “Cuete” Garcia-Mier, Nicholas Pedro “Silent” Cortes, Miguel “Trips” Salazar and Jeiszon Valles in jail for the killing.

– In New Jersey, an illegal alien from Ecuador was indicted for attempting to murder his ex-wife by stabbing her with a steak knife in front of one of their children. (Gosh — I hope all those kids were born here, so the media can start referring to them as “American citizens” right away.)

– The bodies of two Americans, Michael Careccia and his wife, Tina, were dug out of the Arizona desert, and Jose Valenzuela, was arrested for their murder.

– An illegal immigrant from Mexico, Juan Francisco de Luna Vasquez, murdered his wife with a hammer in Laredo, Texas. Vasquez had previously been charged with assault, making terroristic threats, DWI and evading arrest. It just sounds awful to be living in the shadows like that!

That was Thursday. And I didn’t even include drunk driving fatalities, a specialty of our Latin American immigrants. (It may not be a good idea to pluck people from the Mayan jungle and put them directly on American roads and highways.)

On Friday, as Americans worried about the imminent ISIS attack:

– Prudencio Juan Fragos-Ramirez, an illegal alien in Washington state, was accused of murdering an 18-year-old and her toddler son, then setting the pair on fire.

– Irina Kolenkina, a Russian immigrant who does not speak English, was ordered to stand trial for the murder of her husband in Vienna, Wisconsin. Kolenkina had to be put into restraints because she became so combative upon her arrest.

– Illegal immigrant Sinar Roblero Escalante found out he would get off scot-free for killing a 24-year-old man in East Naples, Florida, 10 years ago in a car accident. After the crash, Escalante had fled the scene on foot. He went on the lam and is believed to have hid out in Mexico for at least part of that time — thus, outlasting the statute of limitations. Escalante was recently re-arrested after being caught in his car with a baggie of cocaine on his lap.

– In another immigration success story, Andrew Romero assaulted a prison guard in New Mexico last week. Romero is awaiting trial on charges that he murdered Rio Rancho Police officer Gregg Benner.

– On our nation’s birthday, it was reported that Brogenet Cinor, a Haitian voodoo priest, was arrested for child rape in Florida.

– On Monday, an illegal alien from Mexico engaged in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Bellingham, Washington, then fled the scene of the accident. Witnesses described a “short Hispanic man” running from the car, which was littered with empty beer bottles and a case of Modelo Especial. The illegal farm worker doesn’t speak English, but he was able to ask for an attorney in Spanish.

In related news, a non-elderly woman in Washington state became the first person to die of measles in the U.S. since 2003.

On the bright side, heading into the July 4 weekend, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced that it is reconsidering its policy of releasing convicted criminal illegal aliens into the public without warning. This was the agency’s lightning-fast response to the murder of 21-year-old Grant Ronnebeck by a Mexican illegal alien in Arizona last January.

Apolinar Altamirano had been released by ICE because the charge on his conviction sheet was “burglary,” which our public servants deemed a “nonviolent” offense. But burglary was merely the charge Altamirano had agreed to in a plea bargain. His actual crime, according to the victim, was to break into her home with two accomplices, steal all her belongings, kidnap and rape her.

Some of these crimes were committed by legal residents — even “citizens.” But without Teddy Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act, combined with Justice William Brennan’s 1982 anchor baby invention, the “Mexican mafia” would not be living in America, much less be “citizens.”

Just as America’s immigration policies began favoring people from cultures as different from ours as possible, we also began providing government assistance to any loser immigrants and refusing to deport the criminals.

There’s no question but that the only reason any of this week’s criminal immigrants are in America at all is because of Ted Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act.

Now go back to worrying about ISIS.

As a student of History, I get enjoyment out of modern society trying to rewrite the past to suit their views. History is what really happened, not a revision that suits our present philosophy.

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slave owners. Abraham Lincoln wanted to send slaves back to Africa. Many southerners didn’t even own slaves. The Civil War was fought over tariffs and states rights, not only slavery…

What does the future hold for History? Will we re-write Pearl Harbor as not to offend our Japanese friends and population? Will we erase all evidence of the unfair encroachment of Native American villages and lands, along with broken peace treaties? What about the way we “Stole” Florida from Spain and the Seminoles, or the southwest from Mexico?

Re-writing history and removing monuments and symbols only destines us to repeat our mistakes through ignorance.

The Slumbering Giant Is Finally Awakening

Finally, the eyes of the slumbering giant in America are beginning to flicker open.  The American church has been in a deep sleep for decades; possibly even as long as a century.  Evolution, pluralism, progressivism, abortion, and pornography have all come and established themselves in the culture with barely a collective stir from the people of God.

Education, open-mindedness, tolerance, love, and acceptance have long been used as excuses by Christians to keep their eyes closed and their mouths shut to the infusion and acceptance of sin in the culture;

  • “Maybe God used evolution as His mechanism of Creation,”
  • “maybe it’s a little much to say that Jesus is the only way of salvation,”
  • “maybe the Church should show it’s openness to changing cultural mores as a means of reaching people,”
  • and “maybe God has grown up and changed His views on sexual practice”

are just a few of the ways Christians have for decades justified their ongoing slumber.

After all, we’ve had more important matters to attend to than gearing up for some silly culture war.  Parking lots needed paving, carpet needed updating, relocations, grounds crews, staff salaries, and audio/video equipment had to be installed.  The American church had too much going on to take notice that the Founders’ faith was being surreptitiously eradicated from American history.  It was too zoned in to taking the gospel halfway around the world than seeing the need for it in our own backyard.  Slowly but surely we allowed the gospel message to be whittled down to “God’s will is for everyone to be meek and accepting.”  That was easy to oblige.cause of death

But this homosexual marriage thing…may have finally jarred a fair percentage of us awake. The Kleins in Oregon who politely declined to participate in a homosexual marriage by baking a cake and have been fined $135,000 and placed under a gag order is taking the blinders off some in church.  The recent Supreme Court decision finding a fundamental and constitutional right for homosexual marriage is so blatantly ridiculous that finally some of our Christian kindred are wiping away the sleep from their eyes asking “What’s happened?”  The gloves are coming off in the public sphere as writers like Sally Kohn, writing for The Daily Beast have come out and said for all to read “Will anti-gay Christians be politically and socially ostracized? I sure hope so.” Big Gay Hate Machine

Despite the fact large numbers in the Christian Church in America seem blissfully excited about our culture’s descent into the abyss of immorality, I believe an equally large number of those who go to church are finally waking up to where all this is going.  Both testaments are absolutely clear and unequivocal in their rejection of homosexuality as anything but an affront to the holiness of God.  No amount of Scripture twisting, theological rationalization, or abuse of the word “love” is successfully legitimizing this sin in many of the faithful’s hearts or eyes.  And the SCOTUS decision shows just how far up the ladder political correctness has ascended.  Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately) shoving this blatant sexual sin down the throats of the sleeping giant has been too much. More forced

It HasNever Been About MarriageConsequently, the question of the hour from those who are just now waking up to the culture war is “what can we do?”

Many of the long term faithful culture warriors are answering that question with great relief (that church people are finally asking the question) and specificity.  But I believe many of them are overlooking something that, while obvious to them, is not so evident to those just waking from the slumber of apathy.

The first and best thing to do for those who are finally asking how to engage the enemy in the culture war is to practice…talking openly about it.  That may not seem like much but I can assure you that it is.  If you have been told year after year that politics and church don’t mix, or that speaking openly in church about sex is wrong, or that the Constitution expressly forbids any kind of interaction between church and state, or simply that salvation is the only issue that the church should even attempt to bring to the public sphere…then before you grab the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit on your way to the battle you might want to just practice talking openly about the nature of sin in general and the sinfulness of homosexuality in particular. 

Psalm 107:2 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble…” That’s not just an opaque platitude from someone writing a song.  Consider the following:

  • On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. (Isaiah 62:6)
  • If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot. (Jeremiah 20:9)
  • Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them…(Malachi 3:16)
  • Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you. (Mark 5:19)
  • Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13)
  • Do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord…(2 Timothy 1:8)

We’ve got to start talking about the issues in our churches!  Regularly and openly.  And because our kids are tuned in to social media and things like homosexual marriage are all over that we simply must have Sunday School teachers and curriculum that address this and other issues from a biblical perspective.  Because we have failed to so for so long we now have grown adults in church who have bought hook, line, and sinker into the argument that God made people homosexual. 

For goodness sake, has there not been anyone teaching Genesis 3?  “Did God actually say…?” said the serpent to Eve.  People have grown up in the American Church and have no idea that that ploy is still being used against them by the same slick shyster.

The preachers have got to lead in this.  How about a sermon on John 3:16 that says something to the effect of “God so loved the world that He sent His onlybegotten Son to die on a Cross for your sin(s).  Love cannot therefore mean that God is accepting of anything and everyone because if God accepted everyone as they are then sending Christ to the Cross was unnecessary!”

It’s time to start talking about politics in church.  It’s time to start talking about sex in church.  It’s time to start talking about biblical marriage in church.  Once we get in the habit of speaking freely about issues on Sundays we will be much more ready and effective to begin taking the actions that our generation’s culture warriors are giving us. 

Cultural acceptance and governmental endorsement of homosexual marriage may just have done what none of the other “progressive” issues has been able to do: awaken the giant.  Now that the sleeping giant is awakening…what will it say?

‘Gay’ lawmaker to Christians: ‘We’ll take your children’


crying_childFew people doubt that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie hopes to become president in 2016. Unfortunately for him, he may have just signed away any chance of that.

On Monday, Christie signed A3371, a draconian piece of legislation that bars licensed therapists from helping children overcome unwanted same-sex attractions, behavior or identity. This law bans help for minors even when – as is so often the case – those same-sex attractions arise from childhood sexual abuse by the likes of a Jerry Sandusky.

This law will prohibit minors and their parents from receiving counseling they desire and will force counselors to violate ethical codes because they will not be able to help clients reach their own counseling goals. This law would enslave children – whether abused or not – to a subjectively determined sexual identity that they reject.cause of death

The connection between homosexual abuse and “gay identity” is undeniable. Consider this: Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have found that homosexual men are “at least three times more likely to report CSA (childhood sexual abuse)” than heterosexual men.

Moreover, the Archives of Sexual Behavior – no bastion of conservatism –

  • determined in a 2001 study that nearly half of all gay-identified men were molested by a homosexual pedophile:
  • 46 percent of homosexual men and 22 percent of homosexual women reported having been molested by a person of the same gender.
  • This contrasts to only 7 percent of heterosexual men and 1 percent of heterosexual women reporting having been molested by a person of the same gender” noted the study.

For obvious reasons, this politically motivated law has been dubbed the “Jerry Sandusky Victimization Act.” Liberty Counsel, one of the fastest growing civil rights law firms in the country, has stepped in to protect New Jersey children, parents and licensed therapists. We’ve filed suit to block the law, as we’ve already blocked a similar law in California.

In his signing statement, Gov. Christie wrote: “Government should tread carefully into this area and I do so here reluctantly. I have scrutinized this piece of legislation with that concern in mind. However, I also believe that on issues of medical treatment for children we must look to experts in the field to determine the relative risks and rewards.”Reality 2

Beyond the fact that Christie and the New Jersey Legislature have just violated the First Amendment rights of New Jersey parents, children and counselors, there remains another problem with his assertion. It’s not true. As with any form of therapy, the “experts” are all over the board on the issue of change therapy.

For instance, both New Jersey Democrats and Christie cited the American Psychological Association, or APA, as justification for this gross infringement on the right of self-determination. Although, no doubt, the highly liberal APA supports this and similar Sandusky Laws for political reasons, the group’s own task force on change therapy – led entirely by members who themselves are “gay”-identified or known political activists – has had to admit, nonetheless, that homosexuality itself “refers to feelings and self-concept.” Big Gay Hate Machine

The taskforce confessed that such therapy has shown “varying degrees of satisfaction and varying perceptions of success.” It acknowledged within its own skewed, very limited “study” that some people had “altered their sexual orientation. … [P]articipants had multiple endpoints, including LGB identity, ex-gay identity, no sexual orientation identity, and a unique self-identity. … Individuals report a range of effects from their efforts to change their sexual orientation, including both benefits and harm.”

Reports of “both benefits and harm”? Exactly what might be expected from any form of therapy.

But that’s for adults. Here’s the kicker: The APA also acknowledged that there is no evidence whatsoever that change therapy harms minors. Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, addressed this, the most outrageous aspect of the law: “The very report that the governor cited for signing this law also admitted that there is absolutely zero research – none – regarding the effect of change therapy with minors.”

Get that? Gov. Christie just signed into law a bill purporting to prevent harm to minors from change therapy, citing, as the reason, an APA report that admits there is neither research nor empirical evidence to suggest that change therapy harms minors.

Is your head swimming? It should be.

The governor is one of three things. He is either:

  1. ill-informed,
  2. politically motivated or 
  3. stupid.
  4. I don’t know, I guess he could be 4) all of the above.

Meanwhile, there are many experts outraged over this gross overreach by Christie and other New Jersey liberals. Dr. Nicholas Cummings, former president of the APA, wrote in USA Today: “Contending that all same-sex attraction is immutable is a distortion of reality. Attempting to characterize all sexual reorientation therapy as ‘unethical’ violates patient choice and gives an outside party a veto over patients’ goals for their own treatment. A political agenda shouldn’t prevent gays and lesbians who desire to change from making their own decisions.”AMEN

Dr. Cummings has testified to personally helping hundreds of formerly homosexual clients achieve the change they desired.

Things get more sinister yet. On Wednesday, New Jersey Assemblyman Tim Eustace, who sponsored the bill and is openly homosexual, bombastically compared change therapy to “beating a child” and suggested that the government take children seeking change away from their parents. He told Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, “What this does is prevent things that are harmful to people. If a parent were beating their child on a regular basis we would step in and remove that child from the house. If you pay somebody to beat your child or abuse your child, what’s the difference?”More Evidence

Mat Staver responded on the same program: “It is shocking to hear the law’s sponsor threaten parents that the state will remove their children from them if they provide the counsel they need and which helps them. This is the ultimate nanny state,” he said.

I’ll take it a step further, and I think I speak for many Christian fathers. None of my three children suffer from unwanted same-sex attraction, but if any of them did and they decided to seek change therapy to reconcile their feelings with their faith, Mr. Eustace and the rest of his Gaystapo would be extremely ill-advised to crest my front porch with designs on taking my children.

Franklin Graham decries Christian bakers’ beat-down

Samaritan’s Purse president Franklin Graham, who also heads up the world-wide Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, called the recent ruling against a husband-wife Christian cake-baking team an utter travesty for the First Amendment, and said the plaintiffs in the case – two lesbians – ought to be the ones paying the government-issued fine.

Graham was reacting on his Facebook page to the Oregon Bureau of Labor & Industries ruling against Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of “Sweet Cakes by Melissa” who, in 2013, declined to make a cake for a lesbian wedding. The lesbians turned to the government for redress, and last week, after two years of fighting, the Kleins were ordered to pay $135,000 to the lesbians, in part to account for their stated pain and suffering, as WND previously reported.

Graham found the ruling ludicrous.

He wrote: “This is unbelievable! … Brad Avakian, Oregon’s Bureau of Labor & Industries Commissioner, upheld [the previous] ruling that the Kleins have to pay the lesbian couple $135,000 for a long list of alleged damages including:

  • ‘acute loss of confidence,’

  • ‘high blood pressure,’

  • ‘impaired digestion,’

  • ‘loss of appetite,’

  • ‘migraine headaches,’

  • ‘pale and sick at home after work,’

  • ‘resumption of smoking habit,’

  • ‘weight gain,’ and

  • ‘worry.’

Give me a break. In my opinion, this couple should pay the Kleins $135,000 for all they’ve been through!”cp 11

Graham also pointed to another facet of the ruling as potentially dangerous to the future of the First Amendment’s freedom of speech clause.

On that, he said: “Even more outrageous is that Avakian has also now ordered the Kleins to ‘cease and desist’ from speaking publicly about not wanting to bake cakes for same-sex weddings based on their Christian beliefs. This is an outright attack on their ‪#‎freedomofspeech‬. A senior attorney with the The Heritage Foundation was absolutely right when he said, ‘It is exactly this kind of oppressive persecution by government officials that led the pilgrims to America.’”Leftist Giant called Tyranny

He called for believers to pray for the Kleins, who are planning an appeal, as well as for other Christians who are currently fighting to maintain their religious freedom rights in the supposed “land of the free” known as America, he said.

Most of us remember the basics like “taxation without representation” and forced housing of Royal Troops.  Did you know that the list actually contains 28 charges against King George? Admittedly, some few of them appear to stretch the truth to make their point and satisfy the reasons for the Revolution.
Do you also realize how many of these charges we are still fighting in various forms and formats with our own government.

Well, maybe a few veto threats will do.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolution’s, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.  

The inability to pass a Federal budget for over 6 years can have the same effect.

DelusionalHe has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.  

We have gone to the other extreme on this with anybody, anytime.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.  

This could also mean choosing which laws to enforce.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.  

Some people will argue that POTUS has bent SCOTUS to his will.

Imperial President ObamaHe has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.  

I think we now have a Czar doe crossing the street!

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

Extreme Differences

This weekend, I was chatting with a real estate agent and noticing a photograph of a young man in full combat gear, standing in front of a carved stone image of a lion headed bull, with wings.  He was standing proud and erect and smiling, pleasantly.

I ask her if that was her son … a reasonable perception.  And her only reply was, “Yes … in Iraq.  He died there”.

Perhaps, being a Viet Nam vet, it hit me like a heavy punch … in the gut.  I just stood there silently admiring this courageous young man, holding back tears, and quietly, reverently and softly said, “That hurts … really hurts”.  It did … it really did.

Later in the day, the following commentary showed up in my email …

“Something to think about!

Low military pay was not mentioned in the State of the Union speech.  However, increasing the minimum wage was … for those fast food workers striking for $15 an hour.  Let’s do some math:

At $15 an hour, Johnny Fryboy would make $31,200 annually.
An E1 (Private) in the military makes $18,378.
An E5 (Sargent) with 8 years of service only makes $35,067 annually.

So you’re telling me, La McBurger flipper, that you deserve as much as those kids getting shot at, deployed for months in hostile environments, and putting their collective a—s on the line every day protecting your unskilled b–t!?

Here’s the deal, Baconator, you are working in a job designed for a kid in high school who is learning how to work and earn enough for gas and hanging out with their equally goofy high school pals.  If you have chosen this as your life long profession, you have failed.  If you don’t want minimum wage, don’t have minimum skills.  Sucks don’t it!

If you can read this, thank a teacher.  If you can read it in English, thank a veteran.”

 When Donald Trump said something not exuberantly enthusiastic about Mexican immigrants, the media’s response was to boycott him. One thing they didn’t do was produce any facts showing he was wrong.

Trump said: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems to us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” 

The first thing a news fact-checker would have noticed is: THE GOVERNMENT WON’T TELL US HOW MANY IMMIGRANTS ARE COMMITTING CRIMES IN AMERICA. Wouldn’t that make any person of average intelligence suspicious? Not our media. They’re in on the cover-up.

A curious media might also wonder why any immigrants are committing crimes in America. A nation’s immigration policy, like any other government policy, ought to be used to help the people already here — including the immigrants, incidentally. It’s bad enough that immigrants, both legal and illegal, are accessing government benefits at far above the native rate, but why would any country be taking another country’s criminals? We have our own criminals! No one asked for more.Only Reason

Instead of counting the immigrant stock filling up our prisons, the government issues a series of comical reports claiming to tally immigrant crime. The Department of Justice relies on immigrants’ self-reports of their citizenship. The U.S. census simply guesses the immigration status of inmates. The Government Accounting Office conducts its own analysis of Bureau of Prisons data. In other words, the government hasn’t the first idea how many prisoners are legal immigrants, illegal immigrants or anchor babies.

But there are clues! Only about a quarter of California inmates are white, according to a major investigative piece in The Atlantic last year — and that includes criminals convicted in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, when the vast majority of California’s population was either black or white.

Do immigration enthusiasts imagine that more than 75 percent of the recent convicts are African-American? Blacks have high crime rates, but they make up only about 6 percent of California’s entire population.

A casual perusal of the “Most Wanted” lists also suggests that the government may not have our best interests in mind when deciding who gets to live in America.

Here is the Los Angeles Police Department’s list of “Most Wanted” criminal suspects:

– Jesse Enrique Monarrez (murder),

– Cesar Augusto Nistal (child molestation),

– Jose A. Padilla (murder),

– Demecio Carlos Perez (murder),

– Ramon Reyes (robbery and murder),

– Victor Vargas (murder),

– Ruben Villa (murder)

The full “Most Wanted” list doesn’t get any better.

There aren’t a lot of Mexicans in New York state — half of all Mexican immigrants in the U.S. live in either Texas or California — and yet there are more Mexican prisoners in New York than there are inmates from all of Western Europe.

As for the crime of rape specifically, different groups have different criminal proclivities, and no one takes a backseat to Hispanics in terms of sex crimes. The rate of rape in Mexico is even higher than in India, according to Professor Carlos Javier Echarri Canovas of El Colegio de Mexico. A report from the Inter-American Children’s Institute explains that in Latin America, women and children are “seen as objects instead of human beings with rights and freedoms.”

All peasant cultures have non-progressive views on women, but Latin America happens to have the peasant culture that’s closest to the United States. The only reason our newspapers aren’t chockablock with reports of Latino sexual predators is that they are too busy broadcasting hoax news stories about non-existent gang-rapes by white men: the Duke lacrosse team (Crystal Gail Mangum), University of Virginia fraternity members (Jackie Coakley) and military contractors in Iraq (Jamie Leigh Jones).

In fact, the main way we find out about Hispanic rapists is when the media report on dead or missing girls — hoping against hope that the case will never be solved or the perp will turn out to look like the rapists on “Law and Order.” When it turns out to be another Latino rapist, that fact is aggressively suppressed by the media.

New Yorkers were horrified by the case of “Baby Hope,” a 4-year-old girl whose raped and murdered body turned up in an Igloo cooler off of the Henry Hudson Parkway in 1991. After a 20-year investigation, the police finally captured her rapist/murderer in 2003. It was Conrado Juarez, an illegal alien from Mexico, who disposed of the girl’s body with the help of his illegal alien sister.

New York City is the nation’s media capital. But only The New York Post reported that the child rapist was a Mexican.

In 2001, the media were fixated on the case of Chandra Levy, a congressional intern who had gone missing. All eyes were on her boss and romantic partner, Democratic congressman Gary Condit. Then it turned out she was assaulted and murdered while jogging in Rock Creek Park by Ingmar Guandique — an illegal alien from El Salvador.

There was a lot of press when three Cleveland women went missing a decade ago. By the time they escaped in 2013 from the sick sexual pervert who’d been holding them captive, it was too late for the media to ignore the story. The girls hadn’t been kidnapped by the Duke lacrosse team, but by Ariel Castro.

Now, get this: While investigating Castro, the police discovered that he wasn’t the only Hispanic raping young girls on his block. (All in all, it wasn’t a great street for trick-or-treating.) Castro’s erstwhile neighbor, Elias Acevedo, had spent years raping, among many others, his own daughters when they were little girls. The New York Times’ entire coverage of that case consisted of a tiny item on page A-18: “Ohio: Life Sentence in Murders and Rapes.”

The media knew from the beginning that the monstrous gang-rape and murder of Jennifer Ertman, 14, and Elizabeth Pena, 16, in Houston in 1993 was instigated by Jose Ernesto Medellin, an illegal immigrant from Mexico. But over the next decade, with more than a thousand news stories on that case, the fact that the lead rapist was a Mexican was not mentioned once, according to the Nexis archives.

Only when Medellin’s Mexicanness was used to try to overturn his death sentence did American news consumers finally find out he was an illegal alien from Mexico. (After years of wasted judicial resources and taxpayer money being spent on Medellin’s appeals, he will now be spending eternity way, way south of the border.)

Who is this media cover-up helping? Not the American girls getting raped. But also not the Latina immigrants who came to the U.S., thinking they were escaping the Latin American rape culture. So as not to hurt the feelings of immigrant rapists, the media are willing to put all girls living here at risk.

No wonder the media is sputtering at Trump. He broke the embargo on unpleasant facts about what our brilliant immigration policies are doing to the country.

This scathing open letter, which was posted on Charlie Daniels’ own website, expresses the sentiments that most freedom loving Americans have towards Obama. Read it and then share with everyone you know:

Dear Mr. President,

This letter is not written in a spirit of hate, disrespect, nor is it motivated in any way by racial bias and is written with respect due the office and the awesome tasks that have been laid on your shoulders.

I write this letter because I am a tax paying American citizen who has experienced the American Dream and wants his children and grandchildren to have the same advantages and opportunities that he has had. And no, Mr. President, I was not born into a one-percenter family, I come from a blue collar background, never went to college, have made a living doing manual labor and went into my chosen profession at ground level, worked hard and sacrificed to achieve success.

On April 13, 1967 I arrived in Nashville, Tennessee with a wife, a two-year-old baby, a twenty-dollar bill and the clutch out of my car.

I won’t go into the mountains and valleys that I’ve traveled since then except to say that I have been successful and somebody did help me build the business I own. Almighty God, not the government.

I employ thirty people, good citizens and family people, hard-working people, the kind of gun-clinging, God-fearing folks who make America the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Mr. President, it seems to me that you have little faith in American ingenuity, American capability, American exceptionalism and even American patriotism. You seem to think that America needs a monolithic, big brother type government to oversee and regulate every aspect of American life, that citizens are not competent to control their own affairs and make their own decisions without some oppressive bureaucracy to call the shots.

Mr. President, the answer is not government, conversely, MemeReaganNoGovermentEverVoluntarily 08 A government that has doubled the national debt, increased unemployment, lowered take home pay, increased food stamp participation and disability claims and introduced socialized medicine.

You support teacher’s unions which take political activism more seriously than education.

You intentionally lied to the American people about your stand on marriage being between a man and woman, and continue to lie when it is politically expedient for you to do so.

You surround yourself with inexperienced ideologues and political yes men and take the advice of individuals who are swimming in waters way too deep for them.

DelusionalYour petulance is unbecoming, Mr. President, and your criticism of anyone who disagrees with you is downright unmanly. You come off like a spoiled child who has been denied his way.

And while you blame your shortcomings on opposing political parties, you had both houses of Congress and the White House in the first two years of your term. Plus an electoral mandate to do just about anything you wanted to, so the least you can do is cowboy up and take the blame for the messes you’ve made.

Your apparent disregard for the maintenance and morale of our armed services is extremely unwise and dangerous.

Mr. President, the office you hold is not a place for the faint of heart and when you draw a red line you’d dang well better be willing to back it up, because when you don’t every tyrant and despot in this world takes it for a sign of weakness and will take advantage, Putin and China being a prime example.

In making any kind of deal with Iran you spit in the face of Israel and plant the seeds of a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.

The last report showed that the US economy actually shrunk by .07% while the national debt and other obligations grow by the day.

No matter how many apologists come forth and no matter how much double talk you and the puppets who speak for you come up with, the greatest nation the world has ever known is losing a war with a small army of criminals and thugs that grows bigger every day simply because you don’t have the guts to face the problem.

You’re running out of diversions Mr. President, sleight of hand political policies eventually stop working and lies finally float to the top of water.

Time is running out for you Mr. President and the horrible thing about it is that time is running out for America too.

RUSH: Look, I know everybody is trying to understand this, and everybody’s trying to explain it to each other. Everybody’s looking to everybody else for a deep meaning, an explanation that makes sense. Because none of what’s happening makes sense to people. So what’s going on? Well, hang in there. I’m going to give my shot at this today, folks.

Ladies and gentlemen, not to be — I don’t even know what the word is — dismissive, the outcome of this case today has never been in question. The fact that the Supreme Court was going to find gay marriage as they did should not be a surprise. It doesn’t mitigate the result. I mean, just like yesterday we could all predict what was going to happen with Obamacare, but being alive and seeing it happen and living through it, the reality of it, it’s crushing. Same thing here.

The only question on this one was going to be the vote, was it going to be 5-4 or 6-3. It turned out to be 5-4. Now, everybody’s looking for an explanation. Everybody’s reading dissent opinions. Everybody’s consulting. A lot of people calling each other, emailing each other, “Gee, what?” I can’t tell you the number of people who have sent me e-mails with a simple theme, the same theme. “How do you persevere? How can you go on the radio today? What in the world, how do you even know anybody’s going to be listening? Do you realize, all seems lost, what in the world is there to say?”

Well, I’m here, and I’m going to do my best to put this into some sort of perspective. One thing I’m not is in a state of denial. I think there’s a lot going on, and to try to put them in any kind of priority, “Okay, this is the worst and then this is the next worst.” That’s a futile exercise and ultimately meaningless. But I think, folks, you can almost include Obamacare in this. In this decision today, the court legalizing gay marriage, this is in a way Roe v. Wade all over again. The country was involved.

As Scalia pointed out in a dissent, there was a pretty robust debate going on, state by state, over gay marriage. It’s now been shut down. So once again, five justices have forced a way of life on people, and many of them disapprove of it, do not support it, and have not had a chance to vote on it. So I think we’re faced with a future where a culture will continue to be roiled much as it has been since Roe v. Wade.

I’ve heard commentators today on all the cable networks, and they run the gamut. One of the seemingly common themes among some quasi, so-called conservative commentators or analysts is, “Hey, these are just people and they just want what’s been denied them,” and it goes on and on. “They just want dignity and respect. It’s not asking for much, they just want –” and it’s not about that in all cases. The rule for gay marriage is not about joining anything, it’s about redefining.It HasNever Been About Marriage

I mean, if the move for gay marriage was about joining, then a couple that walks into a bakery and wants a cake baked for their wedding and proprietors say, “No, it’s against our religious beliefs to support gay marriage,” then the gay couple would leave and go find some other bakery to bake their cake. But that’s not what happens. They go to court and they try to get that bakery shut down, or that photography studio shut down. So it makes me dubious of this idea that there’s just an effort here to join the majority. There’s clearly an effort underway to up-end and redefine and punish.

Take a look at what happened in Charleston, South Carolina — by the way, all this comes under an umbrella, which I’ll explain. There’s a singular theme for all of this that’s happening. And maybe even pretty much a — though you may not agree with it — singular explanation for it. But after the shooting in Charleston, look at how quickly that became a Republican event. And look at how quickly people moved to banish the Confederate flag.

The Confederate flag had nothing to do with anything involved with the Charleston situation. It had nothing to do with it. It was totally unrelated. An opportunity was made, seen and acted upon by the Democrat Party to move their agenda forward. The Republican Party was totally unprepared for it. The conservative movement was totally unprepared for it, was left to either join it or be humiliated and held up for ridicule.

Now, I think in the case of this gay marriage decision today, the answer to this sadly is not going to be found in politics or policy, because the problems and the truth go way beyond that. I think we’re dealing with a culture that is under assault and is deteriorating rapidly. The truth is that all this transcends the Constitution. I think there is a spiritual war going on where truth is no longer truth. There is no objective truth. Everything is relative now, particularly morally. Words have no meaning. Words can be whatever the most forceful group of people want them to mean. Whatever the most intimidating group of people wants a word to mean is what it will mean.Truth The New Hate Speech

So the door’s open for liberals and oligarchs to do whatever they want to do. And I don’t know that politics or legal solutions alone are the remedy for what is happening. To me, a bigger casualty than the healthcare debacle and the socialism aspects of Obamacare is the assault on the Constitution and an even bigger casualty still was on the truth itself. Words no longer mean anything. They’re just tools for liberals to accomplish whatever ends they want to accomplish.

Now, I’m going to get into some of the words from dissenting justices on the case today, the gay marriage case, because they’re poignant, and they get to a point, make a great point. But I’ll tell you, folks, everybody’s trying to understand the difference in John Roberts, his decision today, his opposition to gay marriage compared to what he wrote yesterday for Obamacare, is incoherent. The two don’t make any sense side by side. I have a theory.

I think I know or have a good idea of why Obamacare survives, amnesty survives and will survive, and I think it’s basically fear. Fear of being the one, anyone in history, who dared oppose or repeal anything accomplished by the first African-American president. I think that has created a paralysis in the Republican Party and in the conservative movement and at the Supreme Court and at Congress and at the Senate. I think it’s pervasive and I think it’s going to be forever. I think that fear is going to survive long after Obama has served his terms of office.

In other words, the effort to repeal Obamacare in, say, 2017, 2018, I don’t know who is going to have the guts to actually do it. Somewhere along the line somebody is not going to want their name attached to it because the historical notation that X was a leader in the movement that repealed the act of Obamacare brought to us by the first African-American president. My point is, I think there is more fear than we have ever understood. I think there is a paralysis-type fear brought about and brought on by the election of the first African-American president.

It is made even more intense by the fact that people can see what the media does to you if you dare stand up in opposition to Obama. And Obama has made it clear that after his terms in office are over he’s not going anywhere. He’s going to have a residence in Washington and one of the reasons for that is to protect his legacy. If anybody makes a move to repeal anything, whatever it is, and we’ve still got a year and a half. I told you in January of this year, folks, buckle up, these next two years will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen. They’re starting out that way. We’re now six months in. And it is the case.

But here’s the thing, folks. When you get right down to it, everywhere I look today — yesterday, the day before, last year, the year before that, the last decade, the decade before that. Everywhere there’s conservative anger — everywhere — over everything that’s happened. Today the anger is at the Supreme Court. Yesterday the anger was at the Supreme Court. And that’s all there is, is anger. There’s never anything done beyond expressing the anger. There aren’t any policy reactions.loose both

There aren’t any efforts whatsoever to deal with the assaults and the attacks that are relentless and daily from the left. I mentioned Charleston. I mean, here you have a horrible, sad event in Charleston, South Carolina. And within minutes it became the fault of the Republican Party! It became the fault of the conservative movement. The media, as per usual, began looking for any evidence that Dylann Roof had any tie whatsoever to the Republican Party.

They focused on the Confederate flag. It became yet another daily march of the Democrat leftist agenda, which has — as its number one objective — to eliminate political opposition in this country. I’ve said it for the past two days and I’m going to say it again. The biggest threat that Obama and the Democrats have is us. They fear us more than they do ISIS or the Iranians or whatever, because they view us as able to take away from them their power via elections.

They’re not worried about ISIS taking their power away; they’re not worried about the Iranians doing that. So we must be destroyed. We must be attacked and annihilated and rendered irrelevant. The Dukes of Hazzard, for crying out loud! A television show, because the Confederate flag was on the roof of the car, comes under assault. There never is any strategy to deal with this. We know what’s coming — at least I do! I’ve made a career here out of warning everybody what’s coming, and there never is…

inconvenient truthThere doesn’t ever appear to be any awareness of what’s coming and there certainly isn’t any strategy to deal with it. And that is one of the reasons why I know you’re frustrated and maybe despondent. You have invested in everything you think you can do. You’ve donated. You’ve purchased. You’ve voted. You’ve gotten out the vote. You’ve done everything you can. You have called. You have emailed. You have faxed.

You have let your opinions be known, and you hear everything you want to hear during campaigns — and that’s the last time you hear it. The fact of the matter is a Republican Congress is helping Obama build his power base by not stopping any of it, by not opposing any of it. I continue to see no opposition strategy. Gay marriage, Obamacare. Both of these, particularly Obamacare, the best I can tell the Republican strategy has been, “We’re not going to fight Obama because he’s the first black president.

“We’re just not going to do it. Say what you want, conservative voters, but we’re not going to do it. There’s no future in it. The media will kill us. They will call us racist. We’ll let the Supreme Court deal with it.” For military base closings back in the late ’80s, Congress would go out and hire Blue Ribbon commission members — former Congressmen, retired people — to do this and that, to do the heavy lifting of closing military bases rather than get their fingerprints on it.

Everybody you talked to in the Republican Party said, “It’s unconstitutional. We can’t support that!” President Bush signed it. They said, “Let the court fix it.” The court didn’t fix it. They found it constitutional. “We’ll let the court deal with Obamacare. The Supreme Court will fix it. We’ll go to the court. We’ll sue. That’s what will happen.” And we keep losing every time we go to the Supreme Court because we do not have a political strategy. Nor is there a political will to even devise a strategy.

Everything is, “Wait until the next election. We’ll get them in the next election! We’ll get them in 2017.” We have a year and a half to go until 2017! Who knows what kind of destruction will take place between now and then? But yet, folks, there’s a conservative apparatus all over Washington, DC. There are conservatives everywhere. There’s an entire TV network made up of ’em. Conservative talk radio is made up of conservatives. There’s no shortage of conservatives. They’re everywhere.

We’ve got conservative think tanks here, think tanks over there. We’ve got conservative analysts; we’ve got conservative advisors. They’re everywhere!

Raising money…

Fundraising…

Writing books…

Promising…

Nothing changes.

The theory is, “The Republicans don’t want to throw Obamacare overboard because that means they’ll have to fix it.” That’s exactly my point! I made the point yesterday that the conservative movement has become not a party of opposition, not a movement of opposition, but a movement of fine tuning. And what does it fine tune? Democrat proposals! Democrat ideas! Instead of rejecting them, instead of throwing them overboard and proposing to the American people — who are smart enough to understand — alternative ideas, we fine tune socialism and call it conservatism.

Sorry, that’s not the answer.

RUSH: By the way, here we are right on schedule. Right on schedule. Here is a headline from the Washington Examiner: “Poll: 72% Fear lost forever - CopyEconomic Crash, Concern ‘Highest Ever’.” What the story is about, if you read it, the GOP pollsters are telling Republicans, “You’ve got to let go of those social issues, they’re killing you. It’s the economy, stupid people, you’ve got to drop the social issues.”

It is my contention that Republicans aren’t doing a damn thing on social issues. The Democrats are the ones forcing social issues on everybody. Today, the latest example, it’s the Democrats forcing these things and average, ordinary Americans are trying to defend what they believe in. There is no aggressive behavior on the part of Republicans or conservatives. Everybody is in a defensive posture. Everybody is just standing by trying to hold on to what they believe in and what they have left.

Every bit of the aggressiveness, every bit of the offense, every bit of whatever is being undertaken is from the Democrat Party. And yet, here we go, the Republican candidates for president are being told, “Get rid of social issues, let them go. It’s the economy, the economy is the way to win.” And letting go of the social issues is how our culture is being corrupted. It’s another one of these things that’s 180 degrees out of phase. And the social issues, I know what it is, folks, I know, I know. It’s a bunch of moderate Republicans who think they’re losing on abortion.

They’re losing on everything. And they just don’t know it. They’re losing on everything. You think they’re winning on the economy? We live in the most disastrous economy since Jimmy Carter, and the Republicans may be winning elections. Is there any pushback on any of this? There’s a lot of talk. There’s a lot of requests for donations. There’s a lot of fundraising going on. A lot of people promising you that they’re enacting policies or thinking about policies and they’re going to do this and they’re going to do that. The moment of truth comes and they don’t do it, and they kick the can down the road because it’s not the right time.Tree of Liberty 03

It’s never the right time. There isn’t any opposition. Those of you that are feeling lost today, those of you who feel like it’s over, you’re at your wit’s end, we’re winning nothing, we’re losing everything, you’re still the majority. That’s what’s got you so bedraggled. That’s what’s got you so ticked off. You’re still the majority. You know it. Less than two percent of the population is bullying its way through the country and nobody is doing anything to stop it because of fear or what have you. And that’s what’s got you upset.

What good is winning elections? That’s the big truth. The big, final, ultimate act is going and voting and you succeed in winning landslide victories in 2010 and 2014, what have you got to show for it, nothing. That’s why you’re mad. Tired of feeling like losers? Tired of feeling like there’s no recourse. The way the game is being played right now there isn’t. The Supreme Court, throw them in the mix, depending on the issue, and they’ll pretend they are the federal government, lock, stock and barrel. The other two branches don’t even count and don’t even matter.

A story from yesterday: “Christian Farmers Fined $13,000 for Refusing to Host Same-Sex Wedding Fight Back — The owners of a small Dofamily farm in upstate New York fined $13,000 for discriminating against a same-sex couple for refusing to host a wedding on their property are fighting back.”

Too bad they’ll lose, especially with the court’s decision today. All resistance to the militant gay agenda now is just officially just a rear guard action. It’s a lost cause, like the Confederacy. Pretty soon, like the Confederacy, all this is gonna be a hate crime to even remember.

“In an appeal filed today before an appellate division of the New York Supreme Court, a lawyer for Cynthia and Robert Gifford, owners of Liberty Ridge Farm near Albany, N.Y., argued that when finding them guilty, the court did not consider their constitutional freedoms and religious beliefs. ‘[The decision] violates the Giffords’ free exercise of religion, freedom of expressive association, and freedom of expression protected under the United States and New York Constitutions,'” according to their lawyer. Plus it was their property.

There isn’t a freedom of religion in the US anymore. Not for Christians. That’s the point. “The Giffords were found guilty of ‘sexual orientation discrimination’ by an administrative law judge,” and have been told that they must attend sensitivity training classes.

So, with all of this purging from our American History and all the history books, we are seeing American History being completely rewritten in the image of the Marxo-Fascists and pseudo-intellectuals, devoid of those parts they do not like. And while we are at it, we might as well force many of the American families to change their surnames, if they happen to be similar to those worn by the alleged “slave-owners’ names” in their ancestry???

Just how much more are We, the People willing to stomach??? Our country has been stolen from us. Our once-venerable culture has been wiped clean out of existence. Our prosperity has been given away to those who least deserve it. Our homes are being given over to those who do not appreciate them, nor us. Our history is being redacted, in favor of a more “sanitized” version of events (often concocted out of political-correctness fantasy). Our sense of pride in our nation is steadily being outlawed, in favor of the “global-citizen” model of thinking.

Gee! What is left to do besides going ahead and actually mass-murdering us, all to supposedly “safe the planet”?!?

I do not recognize my home country anymore! It has changed to something else, alien and decrepit, from what I once knew.

These past three weeks have served to set your extremist agenda back years, and that’s fantastic. People get it. Putting the “trans” prefix ahead of some objective truth that you oh-so-very-much-wish weren’t so, does not reverse that truth and make your personal fantasy become everyone’s reality. Ever heard of a “transabled” person? “Transgender” activists have long distanced themselves from the “transabled” community because the two clinical psychoses are effectively different manifestations of the same disorder. The “transabled” person has a sincere, deep-seated belief that he or she is a disabled person trapped in a perfectly healthy and able body. In an effort to align their false identity with objective reality, “transabled” people have amputated healthy limbs, intentionally blinded themselves, had their legs crushed and worse. Ironically, the transabled person who saws off a perfectly healthy arm, pokes out an eye or deliberately cripples healthy legs can actually achieve success. If he does one or more of these things, he will, in fact, become disabled.DO NOT JACKASS

The “transgender” person, on the other hand, can never enjoy this same success. If one who tragically believes that he or she is trapped in the wrong-sexed body goes through with cosmetic “gender reassignment” surgery and maims his or her body by mutilating perfectly healthy reproductive organs (or by having healthy breasts cut off if female), then that person remains as that person began – male or female. “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female (Mark 10:6).”

The pitiful paradox here is that, rather than being transformed to the opposite sex (or “gender” as “progressives” prefer) the “transgendered” will, like his or her similarly situated “transabled” counterpart, simply become physically disabled (and sterilized).

Or consider the anorexic. This is the emaciated person who, misperceiving herself to be grossly overweight, will starve herself to death. You don’t help the anorexic by affirming her delusion, calling her “transfat” and giving her liposuction. You feed her. And then you get her therapy.

Leftists love to say that race and “gender” are social constructs. Clever little buggers, aren’t they? This is a classic example of George Orwell’s doublethink. It’s a deliberate tactic by which relativists are able, with a straight face, to call up down, white black and male female. They muddy fixed, objective truths by labeling them “social constructs,” while, at the same time, socially constructing the rhetorical tools needed for fascism. Pretendoids like “gender identity,” “transphobia,” “sexual orientation” and “homophobia” are just a few examples of such social constructs (yes, I made up “pretendoids.” If they can do it, then so can I).Liberalism a mental disorder 2

Evil is Good

For relativism to work – and that’s what we’re talking about here; relativism;

  • reality must be undone,
  • adherents to objective truth pilloried
  • and all dissent stifled.

This is classic cultural Marxism. It’s a bizarre and despotic world in which the left’s upside-down version of “inclusivity” trumps authenticity – a society wherein any recognition of objective truths that “progressives” cannot (more properly, will not) abide, are labeled offensive “microagressions” that, when uttered even offhandedly, demand swift punitive measures.

While penning the infamous majority decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey, a decision that upheld the phantom “constitutional right” for a mother to have her own child dismembered alive, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote, “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life.” This, of course, is abject nonsense. Still, it is illuminating. It’s the rationale that undergirds, to the extent that anything devoid of substance can undergird anything else, the moral relativist worldview responsible for the postmodern “trans” phenomenon.

But it’s much more than all that.

Justice Kennedy is widely expected to be the swing vote in the Supreme Court’s imminent “gay marriage” decision, Obergefell v. Hodges, which will come down within the next couple of weeks. He will presume to dictate whether black is white, up is down, and whether we must all pretend, under penalty of law, that a man can somehow “marry” another man. Kennedy thinks people have the “right” to redefine the universe.

This is “transsane.”

Which does not bode well for marriage.

Or reality.

Bryan Cranston: From meth cook to Hitler apologist

The magnificent new book “Hollywood Traitors” by Allan Ryskind, son of Hollywood royalty (Marx Brothers screenwriter Morrie Ryskind), has been published just in time for the release of “Trumbo,” in which Bryan Cranston will portray Hitler apologist Dalton Trumbo as a hero.

I’m guessing the movie skips over Trumbo’s aggressive efforts to prevent America from joining the fight against Hitler. To that end, Trumbo wrote two of the most ghastly anti-war films ever made, “Johnny Got His Gun,” released as a novel in 1939, and “The Remarkable Andrew,” published in 1941.

To place this in context for Hollywood half-brights, in 1938 Hitler invaded Austria and seized the Sudetenland — sweeping through the rest of Czechoslovakia the following year. On Sept. 1, 1939, the Fuhrer invaded Poland, finally forcing France and England to go to war with Germany.

As Ryskind notes in his magnificent insider’s account of such monstrous treacheries as Trumbo’s, by 1939, Hitler’s persecution of the Jews was not a secret. He had attempted to exclude Jews and blacks from the 1936 Olympics. Jews had been banned from government, journalism, farming, teaching and the theater, among other professions in Germany. They were prohibited from purchasing most food or medicine. In 1938, the Gestapo staged Kristallnacht, looting and burning thousands of Jewish businesses across Germany, incinerating about a thousand synagogues and murdering scores of Jews.

(And remember: This was before the U.N. came along and made Jew-hating a legitimate foreign policy.)

All that, in addition to Hitler’s sweep through Western Europe, was well known. But the very month that Hitler marched into Poland, Trumbo published “Johnny Got His Gun,” a pure propaganda piece designed to squelch American ardor for helping Hitler’s victims.

In Trumbo’s upbeat story, the protagonist, Joe Bonham, a fresh-faced American soldier, has returned from World War I grotesquely disfigured. Inasmuch as Hitler was obviously a deranged monster, Joe’s brutalization would have to be pretty bad to convince Americans to stay neutral in any war to stop him. Thus, Trumbo’s character had lost both his arms, and for good measure, also his legs. But that’s not all! The war had blasted out Joe’s eyes. And his ears. And his nose. And his mouth.

Is that enough to stop you from leaping into a war among indistinguishable imperialist powers, America?

Trapped in his remaining stump of a body, Joe becomes bitterly anti-war and decides he wants to be displayed to the public, in order to show Americans the true horror of warfare. But even after Joe manages to communicate his wish by banging his head in Morse code, his superiors refuse to comply. The corrupt U.S. generals, you see, were gung-ho for another senseless war in Europe, to help countries that were just as bad as Nazi Germany.

In the next year, Hitler would sweep through Europe, taking Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. England stood virtually alone in opposing the Nazi war machine.

At that point, Trumbo produced another screenplay designed to convince Americans not to fight that harmless gentleman in Germany: “The Remarkable Andrew,” published as a novel in 1941. The hero of the story, Gen. Andrew Jackson, reappears from the dead to warn Americans not to get involved in England’s war. It was sort of a “Hot Tub Time Machine 2″ with Old Hickory thrown in. “There’s no point,” Jackson hectors the audience, “in cooking up an alliance with a country that’s already licked.”

For someone who didn’t see why Americans should lift a finger to defeat Hitler, Trumbo was quick to detect fascism in America. When asked by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) whether he was a member of the Screen Writers Guild — a question answered by several writers far more prominent than he, such as Bertolt Brecht — he screamed at the committee, “This is the beginning of an American concentration camp!” (If only Hillary had thought of that!)

This from the man who printed tributes to renowned anti-Semite Theodore Dreiser in his magazine The Screen Writer in 1946. Trumbo’s honored author Dreiser had, for example, called New York a “kike’s dream of a ghetto.”

I think I liked Cranston better as a meth cook.

Contrary to publicity pieces for “Trumbo” claiming that Hitler’s apologist “was punished for his principled stand for free speech and the Constitution,” when the real Trumbo testified before HUAC, he never mentioned the First Amendment. Only later, to prettify Trumbo’s silly outbursts, did his lawyers think to claim that he was making some sort of statement about free speech.

Nor did Trumbo have a problem with snitching on American citizens for their political beliefs. After dropping his own Hitler apologetics and withdrawing the god-awful “Johnny Got His Gun” from distribution, Trumbo took all the letters he had received praising his book — and turned them over to the FBI for investigation.

In the end, Trumbo redeemed himself in the eyes of Hollywood by explaining he had defended one mass murderer only to help an even bigger mass murderer. He said he was “pacifist” until … June 22, 1941: The day Hitler attacked Russia. Suddenly, Ryskind writes: “Trumbo was no longer opposed to policies that could fling American ‘cobblers’ and ‘the man who works’ into harm’s way.”

It wasn’t Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor that gave Trumbo second thoughts about Hitler — that came six months later. It was “the potential destruction of the country he obviously loved the most — Stalin’s Russia — that had changed Trumbo’s mind.”
