After Brexit, England’s Universities Instructed to Protect Free Speech

As the United States continues its descent into a wildly liberal hell in which the freedom of speech is being constantly eroded, Britain has taken a massive step in the right direction.

With the recent passage of the so-called “Brexit” bill, Britain is set to remove itself from the globalist-modeled European Union and the constraints of their oppressive regime. With that move, Britain can now focus on their sovereignty and their citizens’ rights…including free speech.

“In a move that could have wide-reaching implications on U.K. campuses, British universities will be instructed to uphold freedom of speech as a ‘legal duty.’

“Jo Johnson, British Minister of State for Universities and Science has written to universities informing them that they will be expected to uphold free speech for their students, faculty, and visiting guests. The move is being described as a response to the rise of ‘safe spaces’ and other forms of censorship in higher education.

“According to Johnson, this means that the use of universities facilities cannot be ‘denied to any individual or body on any grounds connected with their beliefs or views, policy or objective.’

“’As part of this, the government proposes to raise the issue of freedom of speech, with a view to ensuring that a principle underscoring the importance of free speech in higher education is given due consideration,’ Johnson wrote.”

Brexit has been a flashpoint for the history of the European Union, with referendums being introduced in several countries who could possibly be vying for their freedom in the next few years.

HYPOCRITE: Guess How Many Mexicans Canadian PM Trudeau Turned Away?

Trudeau LOVES Immigrants. Just not Mexican ones.

The Liberal Prime Minister loves to smear Trump on immigration, and promote Canada as the kinder, gentler, more welcoming alternative to that ‘horrible’ and ‘judge-y’ America. You may remember him from those #trudeaueulogies after he praised his dearly-departed friend Castro. (Castro attended his dad’s funeral.)

So, let’s see how well Trudeau puts his money where his mouth is. In February, amid a dramatic uptick of immigrants into Canada, apparently due to the “Trump Effect,” Trudeau vowed to continue accepting asylum-seekers. But then reality came along and clubbed him with a stick.

Turns out an explicit open-border policy resulted in an immigration spike! (Especially in a country with such a generous Social Safety Net.) Immigration from Mexico TRIPLED year over year. But did they get to STAY?

Because Mexican nationals are not exempt from the regular screening process a lot of Mexicans were VERY disappointed.

But the reality in the increasingly leftist country is not as “open” as Trudeau would like the world to think. As Reuters puts it, the numbers show that in Canada, it’s “hard to enter and harder to stay”:

But tough border checks, hard-to-find jobs and fine-tuned enforcement policies mean it can be hard to enter and harder to stay. […] Many Mexicans believe the eTA is all they need to set up in Canada, but in almost all cases they are wrong, immigration lawyers said. The eTA does not even guarantee entry.

Even if they get past the airport, many low-skilled Mexicans hoping to work illegally are likely to be disappointed, lawyers said, noting that it’s difficult for those entering on tourist visas to get work permits without an employer’s sponsorship. —

In fact, the Liberal government — after over-hyping their ‘open borders’ has found itself in the awkward position of turning away so many Mexicans.

Two Christians Arrested then Fined For Preaching in UK

There are no greater visions of revival outside the scriptures than those of the open air preaching of England. Men like Wesley’s, Whitfield, and others called their countrymen to repentance. Many were saved, even though most of what they preached was not well accepted in their day.

It is no surprise that this situation is returning to England. But, now the preaching is illegal. Open air “preaching” must be non-offensive. Do not scare or alarm the sinner. And two men are finding out just how expensive it can be offending someone in Britain.

Two street preachers who were arrested last July on accusations of “causing a disturbance” and engaging in “anti-social behavior” after some listeners became offended by their speech about issues such as Islam, Buddhism, homosexuality and divorce have been found guilty of “intentionally alarming” the public with open-air preaching.

The verdict against Michael Overd of the U.K. and Michael Stockwell of the U.S. was handed down Tuesday in Bristol Magistrates’ Court. They were fined $4202.98 each.

During their trial, prosecutor Ian Jackson “told the court some of the statements made by the preachers may have been in the King James Bible, translated in 1611, but that did not mean they were acceptable in 2016,” according to the Daily Mail.

What this verdict means is that there will be a second thought for those preaching. Whether they are completely honest when asked about forgiveness will have to be weighed in their minds. Will it be worth the cost?

The Liberal government of Britain does not want the gospel to be given, unfiltered to the people. They do not mind that they be Christian, as long as it is in title only. True repentance in England would likely mean the thieves/politicians would be out on their bums.

So much for freedom of speech.

Mexican Presidential Candidate Holds Anti-Trump Rally in L.A.

Mexican presidential hopeful Andres Manuel López Obrador held a mass rally in Los Angeles on Sunday to criticize American President Donald J. Trump’s plans to build a wall across the U.S.-Mexico border. The populist López Obrador hoped to rally supporters against his country’s ruling party, the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), and to capitalize on resentment over Trump’s border wall proposal, wire service Reuters reported.

“I think the wall and the demagoguery of patriotism are no match for the dignity and humanity of the American people,” López Obrador said during his rally.

The Mexican politician went on to praise California as “a refuge and blessing for immigrants,” and exclaimed “long live California,” to the cheers of the crowd.

The candidate added that Trump is “stirring up” Americans against Mexicans, according to a version of his speech published on his website.

“Donald Trump and his advisors have gained from stirring up members in certain sectors of U.S. society against immigrants and, particularly, those of Mexican nationality,” he said.

“When they want to build a wall to segregate populations, or when the word ‘foreigner’ is used to insult, denigrate and discriminate against our fellow human beings, it goes against humanity, it goes against intelligence and against history,” López Obrador told the crowd.

Lopez Obrador also whipped up the crowd by insisting that he would spearhead a move in the United Nations to file human rights violations against the United States.

The candidate ended his speech by slamming Trump’s campaign phrase, “Make American Great Again.”

“Neither the United States nor the American continent come first. What comes first is to build here on this earth the kingdom of justice and universal brotherhood,” López Obrador concluded.

Moscow Issues Its First Nuclear Challenge to Trump

Almost right out of the gate, the Trump administration is facing its first arms control challenge from Moscow. Russia has reportedly deployed its new cruise missile in an apparent violation of the Reagan-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, in effect since 1988.

The treaty prohibits the possession of ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges of between 500 and 5,500 kilometers. Russia’s ground-launched SSC-8 cruise missile has been under development and testing for several years.

Russia initially violated the treaty by testing the missile during Barack Obama’s presidency. Despite becoming aware of this apparent violation, the Obama administration did not take any forceful action to bring Russia back into compliance with the treaty, merely sending President Vladimir Putin a letter of concern in July of 2014. The Obama administration was less than forthcoming in discussing challenges that the treaty violation poses for the United States and its allies. The State Department’s annual compliance reports prior to July 2014 wrongly led Americans to believe there was no reason for concern over the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, even though the missile has reportedly been tested as early as 2008.

The Trump administration must do better.

The missile range limit of 500 kilometers is significant for U.S. allies in Europe situated close to the Russian borders and to Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave that borders Poland and Lithuania. The presence of Russian intermediate-range missiles would considerably complicate any U.S. efforts to defend its allies in the Baltics and Central and Eastern Europe should Russia decide to violate their territorial integrity.

Such a scenario is not as far-fetched as it might seem. Russia has a recent history of violating other nations’ sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also periodically issues nuclear threats against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies and conducts military exercises that simulate nuclear strikes against Poland.

Gen. Philip Breedlove, commander of Supreme Allied Command Europe and of U.S. European Command, said NATO allies are “concerned” over the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty issue and argued that violations “can’t go unanswered.”

For its part, Russia accuses the United States of Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty violations. But Russian accusations are baseless. U.S. missile defense systems do not violate the treaty because the treaty itself contains an exception for them. Neither do U.S. drones violate the treaty, as they are simply not mentioned by the treaty at all.

The Trump administration has a range of options to respond to the Russian treaty violations. Purely diplomatic measures to address the violation first begun during the Obama administration may not be sufficient. Historically, arms control tends to limit how the United States learns about military systems and their interactions in a broader context. This is why terminating the treaty is a viable option.

Currently, Moscow is doing whatever it deems necessary to its strategic interest regardless of the treaty, while the United States continues to abide by it. The administration should not ponder any future arms control initiatives and nuclear weapons reduction agreements at least until this issue is resolved.

Much has been written, including in this blog, of the threat to America posed by radical Islamic terrorism. Not so much has been written about another threat, perhaps an even greater one. I refer to the threat posed by Mexico to the United States; it is multi-faceted and persistent, and forms a long established core component of Mexico’s foreign policy.

Before I get into the subject let me engage in the usual disclaimer required in our snowflake culture. I have been in Mexico many times both on vacation and for work as a US diplomat. I know Mexico well, am fascinated by its history, and consider Mexico City one of the great cities in the world. If you want outstanding restaurants and, above all, world class museums and other cultural institutions, go to Mexico City

That said, I also have long considered Mexico a major threat to America. I have dealt with Mexican diplomats at the UN, the OAS, and in Central and South America. They are first rate. They are patriotic, well-trained, dedicated, and hard working. They, almost to a man and a woman, are also possessed with a deep, deep animus towards the United States. At the UN and the OAS, for example, Mexico, in my experience, played the role of opponent to whatever we sought to do. They not only consistently voted against us, they collaborated with our opponents on resolutions and projects antithetical to our interests, and, for example, refused to oppose Cuban and Venezuelan human rights violations. They rarely passed on an opportunity to stick it in our eye.

Mexico had a major role in fostering guerrilla groups in Central America during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, backing off only when it became a hindrance to the NAFTA deal with the United States, and when some of the groups began operating in Mexico. Mexico is feared and resented throughout Central America as a bully and for its mistreatment of Central American migrants. The horror stories these migrants tell of their passage through Mexico are hair-raising and heartbreaking.

I wrote during the recent hysteria over Russian hacking and interference in our 2016 elections that, Is there foreign interference in our elections? You bet. The biggest offender? Not Russia, but Mexico. Mexican officials publicly called on Mexicans in the US to oppose Trump; Mexico’s over fifty–yes, fifty–consulates in the US (here) are hot beds of political activity and activism. Millions of illegal and legal aliens largely from Mexico and Central America vote, yes vote. We need to have an in-depth investigation into Mexico’s interference in our elections, an interference that goes well beyond revealing embarrassing DNC texts. There. That’s an investigation the GOP should endorse, and the new Sec State should take up the issue of Mexican interference in our elections.

That interference in our politics has not ceased since the elections. It, in fact, has increased. Some years ago, I mentioned to a senior colleague in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at State, my concern over the openly political activity engaged in by Mexico’s consulates and diplomatic personnel in the U.S. She acknowledged it was a problem but not one anybody wanted to take up. Well, it is now at a stage when it must be taken up. If the Trump administration is serious about protecting our borders and sovereignty the time has come for tough action on Mexico.

We see this story in the Wall Street Journal (and here) in which Mexican officials, including their diplomats in the US, are seeking to “jam” US courts with contested deportations. The Mexican government has set aside millions of dollars to help illegal Mexican migrants in the US fight efforts to deport them. In addition, Mexico, apparently, is contemplating the grotesque tactic of demanding that we PROVE that deportees are Mexican citizens before Mexico will accept them. In other words, we have to provide the documentation that Mexico failed to provide its own citizens. Mexican officials are holding meetings in Arizona with US politicians warning them about the harm to US-Mexico relations if illegal aliens are deported or prevented from coming to the US. Mexican officials are openly encouraging activists to block deportations. I find this nothing short of outrageous, but, nevertheless, a clear manifestation of the hostility that has long existed in Mexican officialdom for the USA.

We must not only defend our border but, in my view, it is well past the time for the US to begin shutting down most of these Mexican consulates. There is no justification for Mexico to have over fifty consulates in the US. Had I the power, we would give Mexico one week to close 25-30 consulates. In addition, we would work out a plan to close additional consulates depending on how Mexico behaves. If Mexico, in fact, refuses to take back deportees, then we would need to take additional actions such as shutting down our visa issuance in Mexico, kicking out their ambassador from Washington, closing down the border crossing for periods of time, and even halting remittances to Mexico–just to let Mexico feel the pain. As part, of course, of any comprehensive reform of our immigration laws, no federal money should go to supporting illegal aliens in the US.

The Southwest USA does not “belong” to Mexico. Mexico, please note, held California for about 25 years; they had Texas for even less time. Spain held the area for a couple hundred years, and we’ve had it for some 170 years So enough with that argument. It is tiresome.

The USA has the right to defend its sovereignty and borders. Mexicans have no right of access to the US any more than anybody else does.

Black Lives Matter Leader calls White People “Subhuman” says Black People are the “Superior Race”

I’m just not sure anymore how any self-respecting liberal can honestly deny that the BlackLivesMatter movement is racist. The Toronto Sun did some digging and found a short commentary written by Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder Yusra Khogali back in 2015 on Facebook. Here’s what she said:

Whiteness is not humxness (humanness). In fact, white skin is sub-humxn.

All phenotypes exist within the black family and white ppl are a genetic defect of blackness. White ppl… are genetically deficient because… (She goes on to list various melanin related reasons that whites are genetically inferior.)

Therefore, white ppl are recessive genetic defects. This is factual…

Much of what she writes in the post is similarly disgusting and just as ridiculous and racist. Just as the white supremacists are evil and hate-filled, so too are the racists of Black Lives Matter. Khogali’s been getting a lot of press recently, just last week during a protest in Toronto she actually called one of her allies, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a “white supremacist terrorist.”

“When Justin Trudeau says that he is a liar! He’s a hypocrite! He is a white supremacist terrorist! That is what he is. Do not be fooled by his liberal bullsh**. Do not be fooled.”

Also, last year she was caught tweeting prayers for strength not to cuss or kill “men and white folks” who were counter-demonstrating against BlackLivesMatter.

This is the heart of the Black Lives Matter movement folks, they are as hate-filled and evil as the white supremacists of the KKK. The only difference between the two groups is the amount of melanin in the skin of their supporters.

Mexico Worried about Economic Impact of Illegal Immigrants Deported from the U.S.

Honestly, should this tell you everything you need to know about the dangers of illegal immigration?

Consider the havoc wreaked by the arrival of 11 million unexpected people – the loss of jobs from our unskilled labor market, and the burden to our already crippled welfare system. The enormity of the impact is very difficult to measure, but we know it can be devastating. Which is why Mexico is terrified that the Trump administration is about to hasten the return of thousands of Mexican nationals back to their homeland.

On Thursday, an illegal immigrant and felon was deported back to Mexico amid a flurry of protests. The deportation was “run of the mill” and had been planned for years, nonetheless when it finally happened the woman’s community erupted in anger. They said it was unjust, unfair, and unAmerican. But the truth is that as a nation of laws, it was as American as it could have been. Now, Mexico is warning their citizens living illegally in the United States to be careful and to keep an eye out for the American authorities.

Mexico warned its citizens living in the United States on Friday to “take precautions” and remain in contact with consular officials a day after the deportation of an undocumented mother following a routine visit with US immigration authorities.

Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos, 35, was deported Thursday after she checked in with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Phoenix a day earlier.

Imagine the consternation, anger, and resentment that would accompany President Trump saying something similar to our citizens. “Hey Americans, be careful when you break the law in Canada. They might prosecute you… oh, but if you’re worried, keep in touch with us and we’ll tell you how to avoid getting caught.” An announcement like that from the Trump administration would cause mass chaos and the media would (rightly) crucify him for saying it. But when Mexico says it… no big deal. In fact, the media eats it up and regurgitates it for everyone to hear.

Meanwhile, the real reason that Mexico is so upset about the possibility of mass deportations is being revealed by local news stations along the border. In a recent report on KRGV 5 TV from Texas, we learn that officials in Mexico are terrified about what the “influx” of their own citizens might mean for their economy. (No duh.)

Tamaulipas President of the Chamber of Commerce, Julio Cesar Almanza Armas, said that neither Mexico, nor the cities and towns along the border, are prepared to deal with the repatriation of Mexican citizens. “We aren’t ready for it, but it has to be done. I know that they are already working on it, the local, state and federal government and the cities along the border,” Armas said. Armas went on to say that the economy would be dealt a severe blow if the United States moved forward with mass deportations.

Gay Man asks Christian about God’s View of Homosexuality – Christian Arrested

Things are getting ugly out there, folks. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are both dying painful deaths in the once-Christian West. Over the last couple of years we’ve brought you a handful of stories about Christians being arrested for saying Christians things (see here, here, here, and here), and yet it just keeps happening more and more often.

The latest example may be one of the most egregious yet.

Gordon Larmour is a 42-year old Christian who has been street preaching for seven years. This past summer he was handing out leaflets and saying, “Don’t forget Jesus loves you and He died for your sins.” One of the men passing him asked, “What does your God say about homosexuals?” Mr, Larmour responded by quoting Scripture and telling the questioner that God created Adam and Eve to produce children, which sent the young homosexual man into a rage and he began chasing the preacher.

When the police arrived they arrested Larmour (who was the one being threatened) and accused him of threatening or abusive behavior, which was ‘aggravated by prejudice relating to sexual orientation,’ even though the preacher had not used any foul language or made any offensive remarks. Larmour was forced to spend a night in jail and the six months of court cases and legal trouble before finally being cleared of any crime by the local sheriff.

Mr. Larmour still can’t believe what happened to him, telling the Scottish Mail, “I can’t see why I was arrested in the first place – it was a massive overreaction and a waste of everyone’s time. The police didn’t listen to me. They took the young homosexual guy’s side straight away and read me my rights.

“I feel they try so hard to appear like they are protecting minorities, they go too far the other way. I want to be able to tell people the good word of the Gospel and think I should be free to do so. I wasn’t speaking my opinions – I was quoting from the Bible.”

Larmour believes that the police acted wrongly and points to the court case where the young man’s friend testified that Larmour had really done nothing wrong.

“I think the police should have handled it differently and listened to what I had to say. They should have calmed the boy down and left it at that.

“In court the boy’s friend told the truth – that I hadn’t assaulted him or called him homophobic names. I had simply answered his question and told him about Adam and Eve and Heaven and Hell. Preaching from the Bible is not a crime.”

The local courts found Larmour innocent of all charges and cleared him of all wrong doing, but it doesn’t change the injustice of this situation happening at all. Cases like this are becoming all too common in the UK and across Europe and Canada where saying the “wrong” thing can lead to arrest and fines. The world is a dangerous place for Christians (Christianity is the world’s most persecuted religion), but it’s even becoming dangerous for Christians living in the supposedly “Christian” West.

Media’s Fake News Becomes Ayatollah’s Propaganda. Iranian regime cites bogus handcuffed child story peddled by liberal press to discredit Trump

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran, used bogus news peddled by some major U.S. media outlets to denounce the United States and foster anti-American perceptions Tuesday.

Khamenei, speaking before gathered Iranian military leaders, pointed to stories a five-year-old child was detained and then handcuffed at Dulles International Airport as part of President Donald Trump’s travel ban.

“We actually thank this new president!” Khamenei told military leaders. “We thank him, because he made it easier for us to reveal the real face of the United States … Now, with everything he is doing — handcuffing a child as young as five at an airport — he is showing the reality of American human rights.”

Except the handcuffing incident never happened. A five-year-old Iranian child was temporarily detained after Trump’s Jan. 27 executive order on immigration but reports of a handcuffing turned out to be based on a 2015 photograph of a child being detained at school. Some outlets reported the child was only detained, while others, hungry to undermine the credibility of the administration, quickly ran with the handcuffing angle.

“Although the boy was detained — the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, said that ‘to assume that just because of someone’s age or gender, or whatever, that they don’t pose a threat would be misguided and wrong’ — he was apparently not handcuffed,” The New York Times reported on Tuesday.

The alleged incident reportedly happened on Jan. 27, at Dulles. It came after an executive order from Trump that temporarily banned travel from seven nations — Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Syria, and Somalia. The executive order also banned new refugee entries for 120 days, and indefinitely suspended Syrian refugees from entering the United States.

It is not clear when large media outlets began reporting the Iranian boy had been handcuffed, using a photo taken in 2015. But the reporting shot around the world, and was published in Arab American News and in outlets in Great Britain and Australia. Debunking of the handcuffing detail began on Feb. 1, when Snopes.com identified that the photograph of the child was taken in 2015, during an incident at a Kentucky school. WUSA-TV also ran a report debunking the handcuff claim.

“It is not apparent whether the image circulated in error, or if it was purposely misidentified,” Snopes wrote. “However, it does not show a handcuffed child detained at Dulles in January 2017; it shows a handcuffed child detained at school in August 2015.”

After the debunking, news stories from major outlets began to disappear from the web. A story published by Yahoo News disappeared. Google News results Tuesday brought up a Jan. 31 Yahoo News piece headlined: “5-Year Old Iranian-American Boy Handcuffed, Held at Dulles.” A click on the story link brings up a “page not found” message. A story in the United Kingdom’s The Independent apparently mentioned handcuffs; now it does not.

Some stories and editorials did not make a correction. The Baltimore Sun still hasn’t corrected an opinion piece by Chris Edelson, a professor at American University, who makes the claim. The left-wing AlterNet made the claim as recently as Tuesday afternoon, well after Snopes debunked the story.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, a foreign policy adviser to Trump, could not comment about the issue on Tuesday when approached by LifeZette. But earlier in the day, Gorka told a caller during “The Michael Medved Show” that fake news is indeed being used against Trump for political reasons, going back months before the election.

“Every single organ that generates these kinds of stories comes from the same clique of media organs that predicted that Hillary would win and that Brexit wouldn’t occur,” said Gorka. “I know what fake news is. And it’s coming from those organizations.”

A longtime conservative media watchdog said accuracy is being tossed aside in a rush to zing Trump, and America’s enemies are using some of the claims.

“It appears that more media fake news is now being used as a propaganda tool by the anti-American loons who run Iran,” said Dan Gainor, vice resident of Business and Culture at the Media Research Center. “This is what happens when news media operate on their own bizarre version of publish or perish. They left behind accuracy in pursuit of hit jobs on President Trump.”

Disabled Politician Speaks Out Against Abortion: “People Like Me” are Facing Extinction

UK peer Lord Kevin Shinkwin recently spoke out against the unjust abortion laws in the UK that allow disabled children to be aborted right up until the moment of their birth. While the UK’s laws on abortion are more restrictive than the laws in the USA (abortions on a healthy child are only legal until the 24^th week), there is a loophole that allows parents to abort their disabled children right until the moment of birth. In an effort to close this loophole, Shinkwin has proffered a bill that would see disabled children treated the same as healthy ones and make abortion after 24 weeks illegal for all children.

In an effort to convince his fellow lawmakers, Shinkwin delivered a brilliant and emotional speech that was sure to win over even the most hardened abortion supporters.

President Trump is not playing games when it comes to the wall and Mexico paying for it. In a response to President Nieto’s promise to protect illegals in America, Trump hits back hard… and we don’t think he is going to back down either.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Pena Nieto, should cancel his scheduled visit to Washington if Mexico refuses to pay for a wall he has ordered constructed along the border.

His message could undo a planned summit next week during which the two leaders were expected to address a relationship frayed by the new U.S. president’s determination to build a wall along their shared border and to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement.

A Mexican government minister said that cancelling the meeting would cause uncertainty.

“The U.S. has a 60 billion dollar trade deficit with Mexico. It has been a one-sided deal from the beginning of NAFTA with massive numbers… of jobs and companies lost. If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting,” Trump said on Twitter.

Even before Trump’s tweet, Pena Nieto faced growing pressure at home to scrap the meeting over objections to the border wall.

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment.

Trump signed new executive orders, including one authorizing the planned wall, on Wednesday just as a Mexican delegation led by Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray arrived at the White House for talks.

The timing caused outrage in Mexico, with prominent politicians and many on social media seeing at as a deliberate snub to the government’s efforts to engage with Trump, who has for months used Mexico as a political punching bag.

“This morning we informed the White House that I will not attend the scheduled work meeting for next Tuesday with @POTUS,” he tweeted in Spanish.

“France will convene some 70 countries on Jan. 15 for a Middle East peace conference in Paris…and will invite the Israeli and Palestinian leaders to meet separately at its conclusion. France has repeatedly tried to breathe new life into the peace process this year, holding a preliminary conference in June where the United Nations, European Union, United States and major Arab countries gathered to discuss proposals without the Israelis or Palestinians present.

The plan was to hold a follow-up conference before the end of the year with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas involved to see whether the two sides could be brought back to negotiations and revive moribund peace talks. Netanyahu had repeatedly rejected the conference proposal.

On a planet basically aligned against Israel (the lone Democratic state in the region), 70 countries will get together to decide what to do about the situation between Israel and its bellicose neighbor. With NEITHER party present.

And then the FRENCH government will announce their decision to Israel and Palestine?

How about USA, Russia and China get together and decide which city in France to assign to the new migrants that have flooded into Europe? Does THAT sound fair?

Maybe Paris. They’re all there anyway.

Because that’s what’s going to happen here.

Should Americans Support Leaving UN?

For the most part, there is little that we could point to that the UN accomplishes. They have stopped no wars or genocides. They have not successfully brokered peace. They had nothing to do with ending the Cold War. And on top of that, they have been caught up in scandals. So why do we see this group as so vital?

Well, part of the reason is that we have that smoke blown into our nether region since grade school. We are told in history class that good ol’ President Wilson came up with this great idea and died trying to get us backward Americans to go along with it. But what does the UN actually accomplish?

Nothing. They send food to war-torn areas, which is then stolen by warlords who sale it to buy weapons. But this is not the worst of it. We must be a little more pragmatic than that if we are going to get to the bottom of this problem. What does the UN do for us, America, the good old U.S. of A.?

Less than nothing. We are currently Propping up the UN financially.

CNS News reports

American taxpayers will once again be liable for more than one-fifth of the United Nations’ regular budget next year, as well as more than one-quarter of the much-larger peacekeeping budget – a total of approximately $2,957,000,000.

For those who would like the math, that equals 45% of the 2016 budget, and the same commitment by U.S. tax payers next year. Sadly, this does not even consider the total they plan to spend on global warming.

So there is a good question that we need to ask. Senator Mike Rodgers asked it this way in 2015.

Commenting at the time, Rep. Mike Rogers said: “Why should the American taxpayer bankroll an international organization that works against America’s interests around the world?” The time is now to restore and protect American sovereignty and get out of the United Nations.”

The percentage spike is SHOCKING… and so is the percentage drop-off. What will this mean for Britain?

A Government report released stunning numbers relating to religion. The changes in numbers of Christians and Muslims in the country was staggering. The Casey Report states:

Christians remain a majority, while a quarter of the population holds no religion. But the proportion of Christians fell from 70 per cent to 59 per cent…

Among faith groups the number of people identifying themselves as Muslim grew most significantly, by 1.2m people.

This 72 per cent increase is higher than for any other religious group and Muslims make up the largest non-Christian religious population in the UK at 2.8m in total, compared with 0.8m Hindus, 0.4m Sikhs, 0.3m Jews and 0.3m Buddhists.

Europe is changing. England isn’t as Christian as it used to be.

The Brierley Consultancy conducted a separate study and says that Church membership in the UK has declined significantly. In 1930, membership levels were at 10.6 million which has dwindled to 5.5 million in 2010.

The Casey Report says that of those that those who identify as Christians has plummeted from 40.2 million to 36.1 million with further losses projected. We are facing an increase in a religious ideology that has a branch that stands against Western values of freedom, tolerance, integration and equality.

The Left will tout this as ‘Progressive’ and ‘inclusive’, failing to see the irony of their position.

Car Bomb Attack On Christian Organization In Australia

When we are seeking to better our country and political climate, it is never considered that we might be in danger. We in the West have not had to face political retaliation for many decades. Some countries have been free of political and religious violence for over a century.

Now, with the rise in Islamic terror, there is a new age dawning. We see the end of the desire for free speech. And if the government will not restrict speech some will take it upon themselves to get rid of the unwanted voices.

Australia is the latest victim.

A van reportedly filled with gas canisters was driven into the Australian Christian Lobby office in Canberra, in what appears to have been a car bombing attack.

Lyle Shelton, the Managing Director of the ACL, posted photos of the burned-out van on Twitter, and offered reassurances that all of his staffers were safe.

“Police contacted me and told me that someone has driven a white van into the carpark of our office and it has been loaded with gas cylinders and then it has been detonated,” Shelton told the Telegraph. He added that none of his staffers were in the building at the time of the explosion.

“We have had the normal trolls on social media and even had death threats sent to our Canberra office over the year but I am very concerned someone would do this,” he said. “It is a relief the building was unoccupied at the time and we are all very thankful our staff are all safe.”

Now, the obvious culprit would be Islamists, but this might be a rush to judgment. Who knows how many groups would like the ACL silenced. Many do not want a Christian influence on their government.

The driver did survive and is being treated. We may soon know what his motive was after all.

Joanna Palani, 23, dropped out of college to fight the terrorist group. Now she sits in jail. Not an ISIS cell, a cell in her native country of Denmark. Because she left the country to fight this scum. If convicted, she could face up to two years in prison. Do you think she is in jail for a ridiculous reason?

Isis has reportedly offered a $1 million reward for the killing of a Kurdish-Danish woman who dropped out of university in 2014 to fight the extremist group in Syria and Iraq.

Joanna Palani, 23, is currently behind bars and facing trial in Copenhagen for leaving the country after a 12-month travel ban imposed in June 2015.

“How can I pose a threat to Denmark and other countries by being a soldier in an official army that Denmark trains and supports directly in the fight against [Isis]?” she posted on Facebook shortly after her passport was confiscated.

Ms Palani’s high profile means she is often the subject of vicious threats both on and offline. The latest offerings of financial reward for her death were made by Isis social media channels in several different languages over the weekend, al-Arabiya reported.

Iran Just Made Another Big Move That Will Further Change The Face Of The Middle East

Syria appears to be getting its own version of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. With all eyes on Aleppo, Syria’s second-largest town, which is currently the scene of a decisive bloody battle between the Islamist Jaish al-Fatah rebel coalition and the Russian/Iranian backed Bashar al-Assad coalition, something huge is going on that is changing the face of the Middle East.

As Western Journalism has reported on several occasions, Iran is using the three major wars in the Middle East (Iraq, Syria and Yemen) to advance its agenda of establishing what the news site NOW Lebanon dubbed a new “Iranian Empire.”

Last week, the Iraqi government adopted a law that legalized the Iranian-financed and -trained Hashd al-Shaabi militia and made the umbrella organization of Shiite popular mobilization units part of the Iraqi security forces. The Hashd al-Shaabi militia is currently assisting Iran in turning Iraq into an Iranian client state while officially fighting the Islamic State. On Wednesday, NOW Lebanon, citing the Hezbollah-affiliated Arabic news site as-Safir, reported that Iran is doing something similar in Syria.

NOW wrote that the al-Assad regime has decided to form a “Fifth Corps” of the Syrian army that will be led by senior Hezbollah commanders and most likely will include “a new force of elite troops within Hezbollah.”

“The Fifth Corps is not just a new force being added to the system of Syrian army forces and allied units, it is an important turning point for the ties between allied forces within the same axis,” NOW quoted as-Safir as saying.

The Lebanese newspaper was referring to “the wide array of militia units, including Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed Shiite units, that fight on behalf of the Bashar al-Assad regime.”

NOW reported that “the Fifth Corps could be the ‘nucleus’ for a ‘Syrian National Mobilization,’ a reference to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Front umbrella front of militias given official sanction by the government.”

So just like Iraq, Syria appears to be getting its own version of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

It is another sign that Iran is advancing toward realizing the dream of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini by establishing a new Islamist “Persian Empire” in the Middle East and beyond.

“The only means that we possess to unite the Muslim nation, to liberate its lands from the grip of the colonialists and to topple the agent governments of colonialism, is to seek to establish our Islamic government,” Khomeini said at the outset of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Iran will no doubt preserve the puppet governments of al-Assad in Syria and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Iraq, while the integrated Iranian-backed militias will maintain their independence and will obey Iranian orders just like Hezbollah in Lebanon. This model is based on the ancient Persian Empire, where local kings had to pledge allegiance to the Persian shah (emperor) who became “king of the kings” (shanshah).

The role of shanshah would now be fulfilled by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and just like in ancient Persia he will control the whole area from the Iranian border to the Mediterranean Sea in Lebanon.

The next step would probably be to expand Iranian control to the Persian Gulf, where Iran already controls Yemen via Ansar Allah, the Shiite Houthi militia that formed an alternative Yemenite government this week, and has set its sights on Saudi Arabia, where the Houthis are waging a missile war, and other Gulf states such as Bahrain and Qatar.

The only powers who saw this coming were Middle Eastern countries and especially Israel, which has unceasingly warned that Hezbollah and Iran had to be stopped and didn’t hesitate to take action when Iran transferred weapons to its proxies in the Middle East or took other actions that could advance its agenda of regional and eventually world domination.

Just Tuesday night, Israel took action against an Iranian arms delivery to Hezbollah when Israeli fighter jets fired missiles from Lebanese airspace into Syria. Arab and Iranian media reported that the Israeli war planes struck two targets with four missiles in the vicinity of Damascus. Two missiles hit a convoy of vehicles believed to have belonged to Hezbollah and to be transferring Iranian weapons to the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. The other two missiles hit a military compound of the Syrian army near Damascus.

The Obama administration, meanwhile, was busy trying to persuade Congress not to renew sanctions against Iran when the current sanctions regime expires at the end of the year.

“I wouldn’t advise that for a number of reasons,” Secretary of State John Kerry said at a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the budget of the State Department.

Italy Shuts Down Illegal Mosques, Muslim Population Loses its Mind!

The fact that the anti-christ religion of Muhammad, Islam, is allowed to be practiced in Western countries is a testimony to the weakness of the Christianity that prevails in those lands. That fact that it is practiced at all, is a testimony to the depravity of man. At least for Italy, they have chosen to take a stand against it. The Italian government has shut down all the illegal mosques in Italy, and the Muslims there are freaking out.

The Daily Mail reports:

An imam led the group in chants of ‘Allah Akbar’ which means ‘God is great,’ as they kneeled to the ground facing the Colosseum. The protest was organized by a Bangladeshi group, Dhuumcatu, which has complained that smaller or more informal mosques in Rome have been branded illegal by authorities for building violations.

At least 1.6 million Muslims live in the country but there are only a handful of mosques officially registered with the Italian government. Most worship takes place in houses and Islamic cultural centres.

But, Italy’s Interior Minister Angelino Alfano said in August that ‘mini mosques in garages’ should not be allowed as it makes them difficult to monitor, possibly raising the risk of radicalisation. The Dhuumcatu Association, said police had closed three improvised mosques in Rome in last few months.

Sikdir Bulbul, 41, is an Italian citizen who has lived in Rome for 16 years. He said the mosque he helped establish in 2012 was shut down in September. He added: ‘Friday prayer is very important to us so today we have come to the Colosseum. Otherwise where else can we pray?’

The Colosseum has great significance in the largely Catholic country. It is generally regarded by Christians as a site of the martyrdom of believers during the Roman Empire’s persecution of the religion.

A cross now stands outside the building inscribed with the words: ‘The amphitheater, one consecrated to triumphs, entertainments, and the impious worship of pagan gods, is now dedicated to the sufferings of the martyrs purified from impious superstitions’.

For these people to line up and pray outside an edifice that was used to murder Christians for sport is enough to infuriate even the most timid believer. Still, look at them.

These people are not the friends of God. They are not the friends of Italy, and they are most certainly not the friends of the free world. In fact, the time is going to come that these people will be doing the same things that those in the Middle East are doing to Christians today. They will be demanding they leave the country, pay the jizya or die, and we all know the Islamists can come up with some of the most horrible and inhumane ways to murder people.

Remember, there is no peace in Islam. There is only submission to Allah. The Koran teaches as much for the infidel.

Americans should learn this too. Being tolerant of this demonic ideology is just as dangerous as being tolerant of Communism. Both are out to destroy Christianity and freedom. It cannot and should not exist in the world, let alone in the West.

Good for Italy for taking the stand and not backing down in the face of the enemy.

After importing about a million immigrants last year it looks like Germany is waking up. After seeing all the destruction and high records of crime that has been caused by all of these refugees and illegal immigrants, Chancellor Merkel is finally ready to admit she screwed up. Sounds like she is finally listening to her critics.

She wants a national effort now to deport thousands of these refugees back to where they came from. The problem is Germany has let so many illegal refugees into their country, they have created a massive backlog now and can’t get rid of them fast enough.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants a “national push” to deport as many rejected asylum seekers as possible from the country. Germany struggled to get rid of asylum rejects during years when the migrant influx was much smaller. Close to a million arrivals in 2015 alone has created a huge backlog of deportations that authorities can’t execute.

“We need a national push to deport those who are rejected,” Merkel said at a news conference Saturday. “That’s indisputable and we’re working hard on that at the moment.”

The chancellor promised to increase the staff at immigration authorities to tackle the problem.

A government report released in August showed 549,209 people in Germany remained in the country despite having their asylum claims denied. Authorities expect to deport less than 30,000 of them by the end of the year.

Pretty amazing, huh? About 1/2 a million illegals are STILL in Germany, even though they don’t’ have asylum. Good luck finding them or even catching them. After all, what records do they have on all these illegal refugees? On top of that, they don’t have the staff in place to even get them out. So, in the meantime, there will continue to be illegals that gang rape young women, threaten the lives of innocent citizens, and cause increased crime and destruction of property. And let’s face it, Germany will never be the same.

They can not easily round up 1/2 million people and deport them in a reasonable amount of time. In fact, I’m going to predict this mess that Chancellor Merkel created is going to effect that country for at least a couple generations to come.

The sad thing is, seeing this mess…THIS is exactly what Obama is doing to America. I just hope America wakes up in time. Because if Hillary Clinton gets elected in November, Germany’s illegal immigrant mess will look like a cake walk next to Obama’s.

Israel Furious About UN Resolution That Denies Jewish History And Christian Tradition In Jerusalem

Israelis were flabbergasted Thursday when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization adopted the draft version of its second resolution in one year denying any Jewish connection to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Temple Mount is Judaism’s holiest site, and the site where important events in the life of Jesus took place as recorded in the New Testament.

According to UNESCO, the Western Wall or Wailing Wall — the last remaining wall of the destroyed temple in Jerusalem — doesn’t exist and has been renamed as the Al-Buraq Plaza the Muslim name for the site where Muslims believe Mohammad was carried to Heaven on a tall, white beast called al-Buraq (lightning) that resembled a horse.

The UNESCO resolution also referred to the Temple Mount as Al-Ḥaram Al-Sharif and read as a press release by WAFA the official Palestinian News Agency that is used to release only virulent anti-Israel propaganda.

Israel is called “the occupying power” of the Temple Mount and Israelis and Israeli security forces are constantly “storming the El-Aqsa Mosque” and threatening “to destroy” the Muslim holy place according to UNESCO.

By the “storming of the El-Aksa Mosque,” UNESCO was referring to the daily visits of groups of Jews and Christians to the site where the Temple once stood. Israel also allegedly commits crimes, abuses and aggression against the El-Aqsa mosque and has caused excessive damage to the Muslim shrines on the Temple Mount, claims UNESCO.

The same resolution also deals with Gaza that apparently has become a place of importance for UNESCO’s work as protector of world heritage sites. UNESCO condemns the continuing (legitimate) sea blockade of Gaza by the Israeli navy and blames Israel for the deaths of thousands of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

UNESCO also reaffirmed that Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem and the Tomb of the Jewish Patriarchs in Hebron are “Palestinian sites” where Israel is doing all sorts of “illegal things” such as building roads and maintenance work. What did you say 07.jpg

Israel’s supposed transgressions at both Jewish holy sites are linked to the Palestinian Knife Jihad that has killed scores of Israelis since September 2015, while “settlers” and other “Jewish extremists” are blamed for the “ongoing cycle of violence” by the UNESCO resolution.

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu was one of the Israeli politicians who reacted furiously to the UNESCO resolution.

“The UNESCO theater of the absurd continues,” Netanyahu said in a statement

“Today that organization adopted another delusional decision stating that the Jewish People have no connection to the Temple Mount or the Western Wall,” Netanyahu wrote.

“Even if they do not read the Bible, I would suggest that UNESCO members visit the Arch of Titus in Rome. On it one can see what the Romans brought back to Rome after they destroyed and looted the Second Temple on the Temple Mount 2,000 years ago. There, engraved on the Arch of Titus, is the seven-branched menorah that is the symbol of the Jewish People and, I remind you, is also the symbol of the Jewish state today. Soon, UNESCO will say that the Emperor Titus engaged in Zionist propaganda,” Netanyahu fumed.

“To say that Israel has no connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall is like saying that China has no connection to the Great Wall of China or that Egypt has no connection to the pyramids,” he continued.

”By this absurd decision, UNESCO has lost what little legitimacy it had left. But I believe that historical truth is stronger and that truth will prevail. And today we are dealing with the truth,” the Israeli leader, the son of a famous historian, added.

Netanyahu later ridiculed the UNESCO decision to adopt the resolution that was submitted by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar and Sudan.

“What’s next? A UNESCO decision denying the connection between peanut butter and jelly? Batman and Robin?” Netanyahu asked.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reacted to the new UNESCO resolution and released a short video. The video showed a man reading UNESCO’s version of the Bible where texts such as John 2:13 were “revised.”

On Friday, Israel suspended all cooperation with UNESCO over the resolution that was backed by a large majority of the organization’s members. Only six countries voted against the resolution: The United States, Lithuania, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and Estonia.

France, Sweden, Spain, Greece and Italy were among the countries that abstained from voting while Russia supported the motion.

Even Irina Bolkova the director-general of UNESCO, expressed her dismay and opposition to the resolution on Friday.

“The heritage of Jerusalem is indivisible, and each of its communities has a right to the explicit recognition of their history and relationship with the city,” Bolkova said in a statement.

Clinton Haiti Scandal Explodes: Former Senate President makes Bribery Accusation and Leaked Emails Show Corruption!

How about two whole new scandals for the Clinton Family and their foundation? We’ve already heard about the Clinton foundation’s Haiti corruption over the last few weeks. The foundation was caught promising to help the people of Haiti, and instead used the money to line their own corrupt pockets.

Now there are two new scandals for Hillary Clinton to answer for…

First, the former president of the Haitian Senate, Bernard Sansaricq, dropped a bombshell during a recent Donald Trump campaign event. Mr. Sansaricq told Mr. Trump that he had the documentation to prove that the Clintons tried to bribe him in an effort to get his support for the Clinton foundation’s work to defraud the people of Haiti.

Sansaricq explained that he became president of the Senate in 1994, a year during which the Clinton presidency attempted to oust the oppressive military regime in Haiti by threat of invasion. Sansaricq said that in order to try to “appease” him at the time, Clinton sent Bill Richardson, a former U.S. Representative of New Mexico.

A week later, the American embassy sent an anonymous messenger back to Sansaricq, who allegedly told him that if he “sided” with Bill Clinton in the invasion, he would become “the richest man in Haiti.”

Sansaricq said he declined the offer because he “loves [his] country.” He added that a week later, by executive order, President Clinton revoked his visa.

Attempting to bribe a foreign politician who also says that her foundation defrauded his people of BILLIONS of dollars would be a pretty serious charge for most people, but for Hillary Clinton it’s just a Monday.

The second potential scandal that is percolating as we start the week also focuses on the Clinton’s bribing Haitian politicians. However, this corruption comes from 2011 when it seemed the CIA was considering revoking the U.S. visa of the Haitian Prime Minister. The only problem? Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive was a dear friend and business partner of the Clinton family, and revoking his visa could cause problems with their work and their income.

On Jan. 27, 2011, Clinton Foundation Chief Operating Officer Laura Graham sent an email to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills, voicing concern about a rumor. Ms. Graham had heard that Foggy Bottom was thinking about revoking the U.S. visa of Haitian Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive. “Wjc will be v unhappy if that’s the case,” Ms. Graham warned Ms. Mills, using the initials of the former president.

Ms. Graham, who was also chief of staff to Mr. Clinton at the foundation, had other reasons to worry: “I’m also staying at [Mr. Bellerive’s] house fyi so exposure in general and this weekend in particular for wjc on this.”

So Clinton Foundation staff was hobnobbing with a powerful Haitian politician and using connections at the State Department to try to influence U.S. policy decisions involving that same politician. That’s unethical and it is also contrary to what Mrs. Clinton promised when she went before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in January 2009 as president-elect Barack Obama’s secretary of state nominee.

I probably don’t have to tell you that Mr. Bellerive got to keep his visa and Ms. Graham didn’t get kicked out of his house that weekend. The Wall Street Journal goes on to explain that Mr. Bellerive and the Clintons made a lot of money by working together to milk Haiti for all they could. In fact, the pair made millions “helping” Haiti recover from the devastating 2010 earthquake (Haiti still hasn’t recovered), and the Clinton-Bellerive team also did something astounding in 2012 when they scored some sweet gold-mining permits for Hillary Clinton’s younger brother, Tony Rodham. (He got two gold-mining permits, even though Haiti hadn’t given ANY gold-mining permits to anyone else in over 50 years.) Thankfully, the Haitian Senate raised enough of a stink about the obvious corruption that the mining permits have been placed on hold.

The stench of corruption follows the Clinton’s everywhere they go, and for good reason… they are CORRUPT.

GERMANY’S SCREWED: Look At What Angela Merkel NOW ‘Regrets’ – Send This To HILLARY Voters

Do you really MEAN that, Angela? Or are you just afraid that you might be unemployable if you are voted out of office?

The German premier admitted she could have been better prepared for the influx of migrants last year. She added if she knew how people wanted her to change her migrant policy she would consider it. And she admitted Germany had not been “world champions” in integrating migrants in the past, saying it would take time to integrate them.

“I myself have also relied on the Dublin agreement for a long time, that, simply speaking, removed the problem from Germany.

“That was not good. And if I could I would turn back time for many, many years to be able to better prepare myself with the entire government and all those responsible for this situation that hit us when we were rather unprepared in the late summer of 2015.

“Since then we have tried with all our might to shape, organise and regulate and much has already been achieved with this, very much.

“Still, I am aware that many areas are still lacking.”…

…Commenting on a recent poll showing 82 percent of voters wanted a change in her migrant policy, she added: “If I knew what change in policy people wanted, I would be ready to consider it and to talk about it.”

“But the poll does not give any advice on that,” she added.

A backlash against her migrant policy has raised questions about whether Merkel, Europe’s most powerful leader, will stand for a fourth term next year. Given a dearth of options in her party, however, she is still the most likely candidate.

What we DON’T read in those comments is that she would have REFUSED ENTRY to the million or so immigrants, we DON’T READ that they would have made temporary camps in the part of the world they came from where language, climate, and culture do not prove significant obstacles, we DON’T READ that any steps would be made to dissuade fake claimants from streaming into the continent.

Her only regret is that Germany didn’t absorb them well.

Which clearly means, she still doesn’t ‘Get’ it.

UN Human Rights Office Wonders if Freedom is an “Urgent Threat” to Mankind!

Something absolutely NUTS transpired earlier this month when an ignorant leftist tool at the United Nations Human Rights Office got a hold of their Twitter account.

Thankfully the folks at UN Watch were watching and called the UN out on the foolish commentary.

Hillel Neuer is the executive director of UN Watch, and following his repudiation of their tweet, the UNHR deleted their comment, acting as if nothing had even happened. Neuer had more to say about the episode at the UN Watch’s website.

“This was a loony tweet, and it calls into question the judgment of the UN’s top human rights office,” said Neuer. “While millions of people are suffering from genocide, sexual slavery and starvation, it is far from clear why the UN would instead focus its attention on unidentifiable ‘urgent threats,’ let alone on economic subjects about which it has neither competence nor expertise,” said Neuer.

“Tellingly, the same UN human rights office has failed to issue a single tweet about this past month’s dire human rights crisis in Venezuela, where millions face mass hunger in part due to attacks on the free market in the failed economic policies of the late president Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro, which included arbitrary seizure of businesses and private property.”

“If the UN did not have a strict policy of ignoring its own guaranteed human right to private property, established in Article 17 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, then perhaps Venezuelan mothers would not be struggling to find food for their children.”

“Virulent anti-capitalism was a policy of the defunct Soviet Union, but it should not be embraced by the UN body which is supposed to be focused on human rights emergencies.”

Most intellectually honest observers of the United Nations understand that the organization is much further to the left than most of the government in the Western world (yes, even the socialist ones), but it is still surprising to see such a flamboyant display of leftist lunacy.

Never mind the fact (and yes, it’s a fact) that the United Nations has only survived this long thanks to the Free Market values of the Western world, and to the dollars that those values have generated (particularly from the United States). Never mind the fact that the most urgent threats we face have nothing to do with the free market but arise in nations where the free market is not valued or respected (i.e. the Muslim world).

Never mind every single disturbing outgrowth of this idiotic tweet, except for this…

Over the last 200+ years it has been the Free Market (economically, politically, and socially) that has ushered in the greatest era of human advancement our planet has ever seen. Today, humanity is healthier, wealthier, and more connected than at any point in timeline of our history. The one overriding factor that has brought this new age of prosperity to us? The Free Market.

Whoever tweeted this out from the UNHR is an ignorant, leftist dolt.

The Pope Defends Islam by Saying Christianity is No Different

Invoking the idea of Christian violence, the Pope defends Islam from the charge that it inspires terrorism.

When the Pope defends Islam, it seems to me he must know that his pronouncements are utter nonsense.

From Yahoo News:

Pope Francis said Sunday that Islam could not be equated with terrorism and warned Europe was pushing its young into the hands of extremists.

“It’s not true and it’s not correct (to say) Islam is terrorism,” he told journalists aboard the papal plane during the return journey from a trip to Poland.

“I don’t think it is right to equate Islam with violence”.

Okay, there are violent acts committed by non-Muslims and there are Muslims who don’t commit violent acts. So framing the issue as “equating Islam with violence” predetermines the conclusion.

Pope Francis used this type of argument to justify his hiding the truth about why a priest died.

Francis defended his decision not to name Islam when condemning the brutal jihadist murder of a Catholic priest in France in the latest of a string of recent attacks in Europe claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group.

What purpose does it serve for leaders to hide what everyone already knows?

The Pope went on to mix up two entirely different kinds of violence.

“In almost every religion there is always a small group of fundamentalists. We have them too.”

“If I have to talk about Islamic violence I have to talk about Christian violence. Every day in the newspapers I see violence in Italy, someone kills his girlfriend, another kills his mother-in-law, and these are baptized Catholics.”

The pope is smudging religious violence and ordinary crime. Those “baptized Catholics” are not claiming that Jesus told them to kill anyone or that they are following Jesus’s example. It would be interesting, however, for the Pope to publicly deal with the differing crime rates in native European populations and migrant populations. But I suspect he will avoid the subject at all costs.

The other type of violence is done to serve a religious goal. There have been aberrant Christian groups in history but not nearly as many as in Islam. The “small group of fundamentalists” constitute a significant percentage of Muslims. And these “groups” are spread throughout Islamic communities.

The Pope is offering us idiotic statements in defense of immigration policies that threaten Europe!

Venezuela’s socialist government adopts forced labor law

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro has a plan to “guarantee food supply, social justice, and democracy.” As with most of Maduro’s plans, it will accomplish none of those things. Vice News reports:

“A new decree establishing that any employee in Venezuela can be effectively made to work in the country’s fields as a way to fight the current food crisis is unlawful and effectively amounts to forced labor,” Amnesty International said in a statement released on Thursday.

President Nicolás Maduro signed a decree at the end of last week that gives powers to the labor ministry to order “all workers from the public and private sector with enough physical capabilities and technical know-how” to join a government drive aimed at increasing food production.

They can be required to work in the agricultural sector for a 60-day period that can be extended for another 60 days “if the circumstances require it.”

Naturally, Maduro continues to blame the dire circumstances of his country on an economic war brought against him by the Unites States. He’s been saying that for months and even suggesting on occasion that the U.S. was ready to invade.

The reality here is much simpler: socialism has been a disaster for Venezuela. The latest attempt at central economic planning is reminiscent of the Soviet Unions five year plans in the 1920s and 1930s. The difference here is that Venezuela is working on 60-day plans because, with inflation already in the triple-digits, it’s hard to imagine how the country could continue for another five years unless something changes.

One survey found that about half of Venezuelans can no longer afford to eat 3 meals a day. Dumpster diving for food, food riots and cross-border grocery shopping have become facts of life in the country. Today the BBC published a story explaining just how dire the hunger situation in Venezuela has become:

Travelling through the country this month I saw endless queues of people trying to buy food – any food – at supermarkets and other government-run shops.

I was stopped at a roadblock in the middle of the countryside by people who said they had eaten nothing but mangoes for three days.

I saw the hopeless expression of a mother, who had been eating so little that she was no longer able to breastfeed her baby…

“We’ve always been poor here, that’s true, but we’ve never been hungry,” said Zulay Florido, a community leader in her 50s.

“Since (President) Maduro took power we are in a very bad situation. We call it here ‘the Maduro diet’.

Venezuela’s socialist are holding an entire nation hostage, effectively threatening to let them starve rather than relinquish power.

World War III Anyone?

A 25 page document recently released by the Atlantic Council (AC), based in the U.S., states that Russia could “attack Poland overnight.” The report claims that Russia could take advantage of NATO “being distracted by another crisis” or by misinterpreting activities NATO is involved in. After the annex of Crimea in 2014, the Baltic States have become legitimately nervous, wondering who Ruusia’s next target may be.

Many of these think tanks are employed from time to time to hash out war-game scenarios, as it were. But this is no Stand-Off-590-LA game. The Atlantic Council is deadly serious, even going so far as to suggest possible counterattack targets should Russia decide to move on Poland – targets including the Kaliningrad and Metro Moscow.

They warned that “Even if Moscow currently has no immediate intent to challenge NATO directly, this may unexpectedly change overnight.” The Council also recommends that the Obama administration authorize more shipments of missiles to the Baltic region.

In recent years Poland has had a tough time holding onto its citizens. Young men of fighting age have been pulling up stakes and leaving to find work elsewhere. The report recognizes this to be a potential problem and urges Poland to find a way to halt the exodus. They give no suggestion of how this should be accomplished – only that it needs to be a priority.

Sanctions-Bear-Little Vladimir Putin seems to think the escalation between Russia and the West was and is inevitable and claimed in a speech from earlier this year that, “Russia does not wish for the chaos to spread, does not want war, and has no intention of starting one. putin However, today Russia sees the outbreak of global war is almost inevitable, is prepared for, and is continuing to prepare for it.”

Do you believe him? Neither do I. I’m not sure he wants to start World War III and I don’t think he thinks war is inevitable. Escalation of tensions yes – war – I’m not so sure. I do however believe that Putin thinks the West is weak and has grown cowardly.

But I also believe he has a bit of a hotheaded streak and could be prone to overreaction. He is also, for good or bad (mostly bad), bold and does not go in for the covert.

The report states that, “Russia rarely disguises its true intentions. On the contrary, it has proclaimed to them very publicly on various occasions, but, in general, the West is chosen not to believe Russia’s declarations and disregards its willingness to carry them out.”

Needless to say Poland is not thrilled by the report. Not that they don’t believe it, but they are tired of the whole thing – after centuries of being ruled by others. First by the Russian Empire – then Germany and the Soviet Union in 1939. After World War II, it was back under the Soviet boot until 1989 and now this again.

Putin over Obama Whether it’s a coincidence or due in part to the AC report, four NATO countries, the United States, Canada, Germany and Britain will send 1000 troops each to the region. Naturally Russia took this as a provocation and warned if NATO dispatched the 4000 troops, “Moscow would respond by posting three new divisions of its own close to the frontier.”

Although many still believe Putin is bluffing about his intentions, the defense minister of Lithuania is certainly not. When questioned on the feasibility of a Russian attack he said: “We cannot exclude it. They might exercise on the borders and then switch to invasion in hours.”

This situation is as serious as it gets. Much more so than ISIS or other terrorist networks. And who do we have as commander-in-chief? The feckless Obama. As long as he remains at the helm, Putin believes he can act without regard. And Putin is not prone to bluffing. He may take a while to set up his chess pieces, but don’t be surprised if you wake up one morning and find he’s made his first move (or second if you count Crimea).

BOOM: New UK PM Horrifies Terrorists With Cold Announcement About Nuclear Strike

Theresa May recently had her first debate in the British House of Commons since being named Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. What she said showed true leadership and conviction — something our current president could learn from. When asked if she would be prepared to kill innocent people if she had to give an order to use nuclear weapons, her response was simple:

“Yes.”

She couldn’t be any more clear than that. May was formerly the home secretary and it seems as if her prior experience has given her some insight on what to do when faced with threat of terrorism.

During the commons debate there was discussion regarding renewing the Trident nuclear deterrent. As May joined in on the discussion, she was asked by another Parliament member: “Can we cut to the chase? Is she personally prepared to authorize a nuclear strike that can kill 100,000 innocent men, women and children?”

May quickly and unequivocally responded that she was prepared to make that call if she had to.

If they thought that because she was a woman she might be expected to be a little emotional at the mention of innocent children, they learned instead that she is a true leader. Her comments came in stark contrast to what President Barack Obama has said about avoiding the regrettable but sometimes necessary loss of innocent lives in a time of war.

“And I have to say to you, the whole point of a deterrent is that our enemies need to know that we would be prepared to,” May added. “Unlike some suggestions that we could have a nuclear deterrent but not actually be wiling to use it, which come from the Labour Party front bench.”

Obama Admin Brushes Off Intel Iran Is Buying Nuke, Missile Materials

Germany’s internal intelligence agency concluded in a recent report that sources have witnessed “extensive Iranian attempts” to procure illicit materials, “especially goods that can be used in the field of nuclear technology,” according to the report. The report appears to show that Iran is not upholding its most critical commitments under the nuclear deal.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel made it clear this week that the intelligence shows “Iran continued unabated to develop its rocket program in conflict with the relevant provisions of the UN Security Council,” particularly one Security Council resolution that bars Iran from pursuing ballistic missile technology.

The intelligence report and subsequent warnings were met with a tepid response from the Obama administration, which declined to comment on the intelligence and told the Free Beacon that it continues to view Iran as complying with the nuclear accord. Suicide-USA-NRD-600

The administration’s response stands in sharp contrast to that of leading GOP lawmakers, who told the Free Beacon that the White House is intentionally ignoring Iran’s bad behavior.

“We believe that Iran is continuing to meet its [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action] commitments,” a State Department official authorized only to speak on background told the Free Beacon.

stop When pressed to explain how this comported with Germany’s warnings, the official said the administration “would refer you to German authorities for any comment about reports attributed to them.”

The administration official would not take a stance on indications that Iran’s procurement activity—which has increased nearly twofold since the nuclear deal—could violate U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231, which bans such activity.

“As for UNSCR 2231, we have spoken previously about ‎how Iran’s reported missile launches are clearly inconsistent with the resolution,” the source said when asked if the new intelligence shows that Iran’s behavior constitutes a violation of the resolution.

A CIA official declined to comment on Germany’s findings and whether they comport with U.S. intelligence Deflated Diplomacy assessments.

The administration’s response stands in sharp contrast to comments made by many lawmakers who view the German intelligence as proof that Iran is in violation of international accords. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.), the House majority leader, told the Free Beacon that the administration is ignoring mounting evidence of Iran’s illicit actions.

“The Obama Administration can’t ignore the sheer weight of evidence showing Iran isn’t upholding its side of the bargain,” McCarthy said. “From illicit procurement for its nuclear program to testing ballistic missiles, Iran is showing that it had no intention of ever following international agreements, even ones that granted them enormous concessions.”

“The administration’s decision to continue implementing the deal and ignore Iran’s actions isn’t just delusional, it’s dangerous,” he added. “Iran must be stopped, which is why we need the sanctions legislation we are voting on this week.”

Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.), a member of the House intelligence committee, also said Iran’s behavior indicates that it is not faithfully abiding by the nuclear deal.

“The latest German intelligence report on Iran’s efforts to secure nuclear and missile technology and material is extremely troubling,” Pompeo said.

The German intelligence report’s “naming of more than 1,000 associates of Iranian-backed terrorist groups that are living in Germany should serve as a wake-up call to the U.S. and other European countries who are prefer to ignore Tehran’s active support for entities like Hezbollah and Hamas,” Pompeo said.

One source intimately familiar with the administration’s thinking on Iran told the Free Beacon that Iran’s illicit Bright-Future-NRD-600 activity has forced U.S. officials to walk back certain claims made about how the deal would reform Tehran.

“The administration isn’t even sure what to say any more. Sometimes they say that the nuclear deal is so weak Iran can’t violate it even if it illegally imports nuclear technology,” said one senior congressional adviser who works closely on the Iran portfolio. “Other times they say the nuclear deal is really strong, and they just ignore what even they admit are violations, like when Iran accumulated more heavy water than allowed a few months ago.”

The United Nations “Human Rights Council,” which counts some of the world’s most ruthless dictatorships as members, sparked global outrage last week by voting to appoint a UN czar to oversee the normalization of homosexuality and transgenderism around the world. In the crosshairs are religious and moral views that reject homosexual behavior as sinful, as well as objective reality and biological facts that until recent years were taken for granted. The deeply controversial scheme was pushed through by communist and socialist rulers with fervent support from the Obama administration, which for years has been lawlessly using American tax dollars and diplomatic resources to bribe and bully foreign governments into compliance with the radical agenda. But there was a great deal of opposition, and criticism of the UN extremism is growing.

Officially, the UN LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) “expert” will work to combat “violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.” In reality, though, forces on both sides of the issue know full well that the UN czar will serve as another weapon in the global war against religion, traditional values, morality, and truth. Indeed, top UN bureaucrats involved in the effort have already announced that the plot includes preventing homosexuals and transgenders from being “stigmatized.” That means they hope to change people’s views and morals — and even their religion. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon (shown above), who last year celebrated a notorious child rapist for launching the “gay rights revolution,” cited schools as one of the many targets for the new UN homosexuality czar to focus on. Obama’s secretary of state, John Kerry, meanwhile, admitted that the LGBT czar would be a “focal point” for “combatting [sic] challenges faced by LGBT persons.” That means the agenda goes way beyond merely protecting homosexuals from violence. And remember, Obama boasted about having lied to the American people all along about his views on homosexual “marriage,” meaning that, what they admit to plotting is likely just the start.

Consider that, under the guise of stopping “discrimination” against homosexuals and people confused about which 9e4ee157f03a4ddb494936b08cb98ced sex they are, extremists at all levels of government in the United States and the West are working overtime to turn the world upside down. From allowing men into women’s restrooms and locker rooms, to redefining and even un-defining marriage, to forcing bakers and florists into re-education programs for refusing to play along with the reality-denying agenda, UN and U.S. officials are becoming more and more extreme. In some increasingly totalitarian Western nations, pastors and evangelists are literally being thrown in jail merely for pointing out that homosexual acts are sinful. And that is just the beginning.

According to the UN’s propaganda service, the discredited UN “Human Rights Council” debated the measure for almost four hours on June 30 before adopting the scheme in a contentious vote. Just 23 member governments and regimes voted in favor of creating the new czar, while 18 voted against and six abstained. The measure was pushed forward by a tight-knit network of communist and socialist governments in Latin America with close ties to Marxist terrorist groups, Western globalists, Moscow, and Beijing. A number of European governments and other members of the “LGBT Core Group,” which includes Obama and the EU, also played a key role in pushing the scheme from outside the UN “human rights” outfit.“For the first time, work on this issue [normalizing homosexuality and transgenderism] will be effectively institutionalized at the Human Rights Council,” the UN said. The real agenda is hardly a secret. “This UN-LGBT Enforcer will travel the world imposing the sexual revolution on peoples and churches and countries who do not want it,” explained Austin Ruse, president of the Center for Family and Human Rights, or C-Fam. “It will be under the guise of protecting LGBT people from discrimination. But that is a lie. The purpose will be aimed at anyone who believes in traditional sexual morality and to stamp out that belief. The New United Nations LGBT Enforcer will determine, without a doubt, that your religious beliefs are nothing more than hate.”

In an e-mail to supporters C-Fam’s Ruse called the development a “disaster,” and noted that the UN LGBT enforcer position was established thanks to the efforts of “radical delegations from Europe.” Indeed, multiple sources have highlighted the fact that Western governments, in imperialist fashion, are using tax-funded bribes and the threat of withholding funds to force governments around the world to surrender to the extreme agenda. While C-Fam and other groups worked to stop the UN scheme, enough governments caved in to “unethical threats,” allowing the UN Human Rights Council to establish the new position. The implications are huge. “The new UN-LGBT Enforcer will come with the might and muscle of the United Nations, the European Union, and the United States and with the power to enforce this radical new belief,” Ruse explained, noting that traditional values and religious beliefs would henceforth be considered hate by the UN. “We are up against the most powerful people and institutions on the earth. They have unlimited funds and the power of governments behind them.” C-Fam and other groups vowed to keep fighting. burke

Family Watch International also fought to stop the plot. “Everyone knows that this is intended to be a tool to try to force such things as same-sex marriage, cross-gender bathroom use, LGBT ‘rights’ indoctrination education, and much more upon countries around the world in the name of preventing discrimination and violence,” explained Annie Franklin, director of UN Activities for the pro-family group. “This so-called ‘independent expert’ or ‘Special Rapporteur’ as they are often called at the UN would be given the mandate to collect reports and complaints from sexual rights activist groups and LGBT individuals worldwide and would then use these complaints, along with the full arsenal of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, to pressure governments to overturn their laws protecting marriage, family, and religious and cultural values.”

While religious people, groups, and nations around the world were horrified by the news, UN officials celebrated the developments. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, for example, cheered the decision through a spokesman as another “step forward” in the agenda. “I can tell you that the Secretary-General believes that the Human Rights Council marked another important step forward when it decided to appoint a UN Independent Expert to monitor and report on levels of violence and discrimination against LGBT people globally,” said Ban’s spokesman Stéphane Dujarric. “It is clear that there’s still so much that needs to be done to protect people from violence, tackle discrimination at work, end bullying in schools and ensure access to healthcare, housing and essential services.”

The UN’s record on homosexual issues in recent years is beyond fringe. Indeed, last year, while celebrating the U.S. Supreme Court’s illegal ruling pretending to re-define the institution of marriage by inventing a constitutional right to homosexual “marriage,” the UN boss revealed his true colors. Among other outrages, Ban showered praise on child rapist Harvey Milk, a homosexual leader infamous for his rape of vulnerable underage boys. His predatory behavior led at least two of his young victims, including 16-year-old Jack Galen McKinley, to commit suicide.

“It was from this building, some 40 years ago, that Harvey Milk helped to set in train America’s gay rights revolution — a revolution that continues to this day not just in this country but around the world,” Ban declared in San Francisco after the Supreme Court’s tortured ruling, which he celebrated as a “great step forward for human rights in the United States.” “The measures he advocated here — including new laws to protect people from discrimination — are the same measures that, today, we advocate to governments everywhere.” Ironically, the praise for the child rapist came even as the UN’s “peace” armies were facing global outrage for systematically raping and sexually exploiting children around the world.

More recently, critics even called for Ban to resign after the UN defied its member governments by moving ahead with a campaign to promote homosexuality, same-sex parenting, transgenderism, and other controversial agendas on a series of commemorative postage stamps. It was the next step in the UN’s divisive “Free and Equal” campaign, which claims to have reached a billion people with its pro-homosexual and transgender propaganda so far. It is worth noting that the American College of Pediatrics recently pointed out that “conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”

Of course, the UN, widely ridiculed by American critics as the “dictators club,” has a long history of trying to re-define human rights. Instead of God-given individual rights that governments exist to protect, as enjoyed by Americans and enshrined in the Constitution, the UN promotes the notion of human rights as revocable privileges granted by government that can be limited or crushed under virtually any pretext. The UN “Human Rights Council,” which replaced the UN Human Rights Commission after Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi was elected to lead it, includes numerous brutal dictatorships and mass murderers as members.

And the UN’s “rights” agenda is clear: From seeking to criminalize speech and gun rights, to trying to make homosexuality and abortion into “human rights,” the UN and its pseudo-“human rights” agenda are getting more extreme and more bold every day. Meanwhile, the UN’s “peace” troops rape children with impunity, prompting the UN’s top leadership to respond by persecuting the only whistleblower who actually tried to do something about the grotesque and systematic abuses. The situation has gotten so bad that even hardcore internationalists in the U.S. Congress can no longer conceal the absurdity of it all.

Yet the attacks on real rights are growing. After the Orlando terrorist attack, which was cited as a reason to create a UN LGBT czar despite the fact that the terrorist was reportedly a homosexual, UN “Human Rights” boss Zeid al Hussein, an Islamic prince, claimed the U.S. government had an “obligation” to impose “robust gun control” on the American people. Just last year, meanwhile, UN “experts” called on the United States to change its Constitution to comply with a treaty that has not even been ratified by the U.S. Senate. Before that, UN “experts” and “rapporteurs” have blasted everything from allegedly low taxes in Canada to stay-home mothers in Switzerland and a lack of extra bedrooms for welfare recipients in the United Kingdom. And the extremism continues to grow as UN chief Ban travels the world declaring the outfit he leads to be the “Parliament of Humanity.”

But Americans do not have to put up with the radical agenda, or subsidize it with their taxpayer dollars. The American Sovereignty Restoration Act (H.R. 1205) would end U.S. membership in the UN, along with all U.S. taxpayer funding for the outfit. The legislation, currently sitting in the House Foreign Affairs Committee, would also evict the UN from U.S. soil. With the British leading the way with the historic “Brexit” from the European Union, more than a few prominent voices inside and outside of Congress are now pushing for an #Amexit. But to make that a reality, Americans who support self-government, the Constitution, traditional values, and liberty must get involved.

They Are Putting Armed Guards On Food Trucks In Venezuela

We are watching what happens when the economy of a developed nation totally implodes. Just a few years ago, Venezuela was the wealthiest nation in all of South America, and they still have more proven oil reserves than anyone else on the entire planet including Saudi Arabia. But now people down there are so hungry and so desperate that some of them are actually hunting dogs, cats and pigeons for food. Just a few days ago, I gave a talk down at Morningside during which I warned that someday we would see armed guards on food trucks in America. After that talk was done, I went back up to my room and I came across a New York Times article which had been republished by MSN that explained that this exact thing is already happening down in Venezuela…

With delivery trucks under constant attack, the nation’s food is now transported under armed guard. Soldiers stand watch over bakeries. The police fire rubber bullets at desperate mobs storming grocery stores, pharmacies and butcher shops. A 4-year-old girl was shot to death as street gangs fought over food.

Venezuela is convulsing from hunger.

Hundreds of people here in the city of Cumaná, home to one of the region’s independence heroes, marched on a supermarket in recent days, screaming for food. They forced open a large metal gate and poured inside. They snatched water, flour, cornmeal, salt, sugar, potatoes, anything they could find, leaving behind only broken freezers and overturned shelves.

All over the country, people are standing in extremely long lines day after day hoping to get some food. Sometimes the food trucks don’t bring anything, and sometimes it is just scraps like fish heads and rotten fruit. To get a better idea of what life is like in Venezuela right now, just check out this YouTube video…

As people down in Venezuela get hungrier and hungrier, extreme desperation is setting in. And with extreme desperation comes crime and violence…

A 4-year-old girl, Britani Lara, was reportedly shot to death Tuesday in the Caracas suburb of Guatire as she stood in line with her mother outside a government-owned Mercal grocery store.

El Nacional newspaper reported that gangs on motorcycles have fought over the right to control and distribute food at the Guatire store and that the gunfire may have been a result of that dispute. Eight others were reportedly injured in the incident.

Violence also was reported at a food protest staged in front of a store in the city of Cariaco in central Sucre state, where 21-year-old Luis Fuentes was killed by a gunshot. Eleven others were wounded, according to El Nacional newspaper.

Could you imagine living in a nation where all this is going on?

Most Americans could not even conceive of such a thing. But of course the truth is that up until just recently most Venezuelans could not either. In fact, just a couple years ago Venezuela was one of the most prosperous nations in all of South America…

Two years ago, Venezuela was a normal functioning nation, relatively speaking of course. It was by no means a free country, but the people still had a standard of living that was higher than most developing nations. Venezuelans could still afford the basic necessities of life, and a few luxuries too.

They could send their children to school and expect them to receive a reasonably good education, and they could go to the hospital and expect to be effectively treated with the same medical standards you’d find in a developed nation. They could go to the grocery store and buy whatever they needed, and basic government services like law enforcement and infrastructure maintenance worked fairly well. The system was far from perfect, but it worked for the most part.

There are all sorts of signs that the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted in the United States is starting to crumble as well. If you follow End Of The American Dream on a regular basis, you know that I post articles about this theme all the time. But today I just want to share one tidbit with you. Reuters is reporting that the number of heroin users in this country has nearly tripled since 2003, and the number of heroin-related deaths is now about five times higher than it was in the year 2000…

A heroin “epidemic” is gripping the United States, where cheap supply has helped push the number of users to a 20-year high, increasing drug-related deaths, the United Nations said on Thursday.

According to the U.N.’s World Drug Report 2016, the number of heroin users in the United States reached around one million in 2014, almost three times as many as in 2003. Heroin-related deaths there have increased five-fold since 2000.

“There is really a huge epidemic (of) heroin in the U.S.,” said Angela Me, the chief researcher for the report which was released on Thursday.

Just like Venezuela, our society is rotting too. As I have warned before, the exact same things that are happening down there right now are coming here too.

It is just a matter of time.

On a side note, I would like to congratulate the British people for voting for independence from the European Union. As I have been writing this article, the results have been coming in, and at this point it looks like victory is virtually assured for the “Leave” campaign.

I would have voted “Leave” myself if I lived in the United Kingdom, but let there be no doubt about what comes next. Uncertainty and chaos are going to reign in European financial markets, and we have already seen the biggest one day drop in the history of the British pound. There is going to be short-term economic and financial pain, but the people of the United Kingdom have done the right thing for their children and their grandchildren, and for that they are to be applauded.

U.S. official: North Korea restarts plutonium production for nuclear bombs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – North Korea has restarted production of plutonium fuel, a senior U.S. State Department official said on Tuesday, showing that it plans to pursue its nuclear weapons program in defiance of international sanctions.

The U.S. assessment came a day after the U.N. nuclear watchdog said it had “indications” that Pyongyang has reactivated a plant to recover plutonium from spent reactor fuel at Yongbyon, its main nuclear complex.

The latest developments suggest North Korea’s reclusive regime is working to ensure a steady supply of materials for its drive to build warheads, despite tightened international sanctions after its fourth nuclear test in January. The U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Washington is worried by the new plutonium reprocessing effort, but he offered no explicit word on any U.S. response.

“Everything in North Korea is a cause for concern,” the official told Reuters.

“They take the spent fuel from the 5 megawatt reactor at Yongbyon and let it cool and then take it to the reprocessing facility, and that’s where they’ve obtained the plutonium for their previous nuclear tests. So they are repeating that process,” the official said. “That’s what they’re doing.”

North Korea, which conducted its fourth nuclear test in January, vowed in 2013 to restart all nuclear facilities, including the main reactor and the smaller plant at Yongbyon, which was shut down in 2007 as part of an international disarmament-for-aid deal that later collapsed.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which has no access to North Korea and mainly monitors its activities by satellite, said last year it had seen signs of a resumption of activity at Yongbyon. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano told a news conference in Vienna on Monday that there have been indications of renewed plutonium reprocessing activities at Yongbyon. Reprocessing involves extracting plutonium from spent reactor fuel, one route to obtaining bomb fuel other than uranium enrichment.

“I would agree that there are indications,” the U.S. official said.

The official declined to confirm whether this determination was made from satellite imagery or intelligence sources, or to say how much plutonium North Korea could produce by this method. South Korea’s Unification Ministry spokesman Cheong Joon-hee said Seoul was closely watching movements related to the North’s nuclear facility “with grave concern” but declined to comment directly on plutonium production.

A spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry said China, North Korea’s lone major ally, has always promoted the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and a resolution of the issue via talks.

“We hope all parties can work hard together to put the nuclear issue back on the track of dialogue and negotiations,” spokesman Hong Lei told reporters.

SHROUDED IN SECRECY

North Korea announced at a rare congress of its ruling Workers’ Party last month that it would strengthen its defensive nuclear weapons capability. It had already declared itself “a responsible nuclear weapons state” and disavowed the use of nuclear weapons unless its sovereignty is first infringed by others with nuclear arms. While North Korea in the past has often obtained key components for its nuclear program from other countries despite international sanctions, there was no sign of any recent outside procurement involved in reactivating its plutonium reprocessing, the U.S. official said.

There is little proven knowledge about the quantities of weapons-grade uranium or plutonium that North Korea possesses, or its ability to produce either, though plutonium from spent fuel at Yongbyon is widely believed to have been used in its nuclear bombs.

South Korean Defense Minister Han Min-koo said last month the North probably had about 40 kg (88 lb) of plutonium. That would be enough to make eight to 10 bombs, according to experts.

Operating the 5 megawatt reactor could yield about 5-6 kg of plutonium a year, they said.

Experts at the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Washington predicted last year that North Korea’s nuclear weapons stockpile could grow to 20, 50 or 100 bombs within five years, from an estimated 10 to 16 weapons at that time.

North Korea has come under tightening international pressure over its nuclear weapons program, including tougher U.N. sanctions adopted in March backed by China, following its most recent nuclear blast and ballistic missile tests.

The website 38 North reported last week, based on commercial satellite imagery, that exhaust plumes had been detected twice in May from the thermal plant at Yongbyon’s Radiochemical Laboratory, the site’s main reprocessing installation. The Institute for Science and International Security also reported exhaust emissions from a chimney at the plant, which it said was often associated with reprocessing activities there.

The cautionary tale that is the rather spectacular collapse of Venezuela continues. Were you aware that Venezuela banned guns for private citizens a mere four years ago, in 2012? Although the country was already in trouble, it seems like that was the beginning of the end.

Under the reign of Hugo Chavez, the government introduced a law that banned personal purchases of firearms and ammunition in an attempt to “improve security and cut crime.” The law was designed to keep guns in the hands of only police, military, and some security companies.

At the time, Chavez’s government said that “the ultimate aim is to disarm all civilians.” Shortly after the law passed, Chavez lost a battle to cancer, and bus driver Nicolas Maduro became the new president.

Maduro invested $47 million in “disarmament centers” in 2014, where citizens could turn in their firearms without fear of repercussions. This was at about the same time as the government declared that prepping was illegal and those “hoarding” could be detained on criminal charges and when the country instituted a fingerprint registry for purchasing groceries so that they could ensure people only purchased what they were allotted. gun-control-free-men-own-guns-slaves-dont

But Who Does Disarmament Really Protect?

Does a gun ban actually reduce crime? Is the reduction of crime truly the motive behind disarmament? Or is disarmament actually an effort to make it more difficult for those who object to subjugation to fight back?

It’s interesting to note that nearly all repressive regimes take away the means for the citizens to stand up for their rights. Right before the proverbial S hit the F in Venezuela, guns were taken away from the general public. It was then a slippery slope into chaos as the government failed, socialism itself failed, and the country collapsed.

However, now that the people are ready to revolt against Maduro’s government, they no longer have the means to do so. It’s suicide for unarmed people to fight the well-armed military, something that the government undoubtedly counted on when Venezuela banned guns, disarming the populace.

Meanwhile In America

There are some unnerving parallels we can draw to the disarmament of Venezuela and the plans for America. gunconfiscation

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is adamantly anti-gun. Her own website has a long list of the anti-gun measures she has supported. Make no mistake, if she gets the magical president’s pen, there will be anti-gun Executive Orders. She could also be the person responsible for choosing Supreme Court Justice Scalia’s empty seat, which will not bode well for the next challenge to the Second Amendment heard by the highest court in the land.

If you’re wondering how this relates to Venezuela, it’s simple. Our ship here in the US is sinking.

Our economy is in the toilet. We may be watching a premonition of our future down there in South America, with riots at the grocery store. With abject poverty. With the third world medical care.

And if the wrong person is making Executive Orders and appointing Supreme Court Justices, gun owners could be targeted. gun-infringers

The American government doesn’t really represent the American people anymore. Do you feel that your wishes are gun-registration-now-confiscation-next-battaile-politics-1359503472 taken into consideration when corrupt politicians benefit from big corporations against the desires of their constituents? Our system is broken, and every day we lose rights, incrementally.

The Second Amendment is not in place so people can go hunting for deer. Thomas Jefferson summed it up. “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

If you’re watching Venezuela, you understand why you need to be armed.

There are many lessons you can learn from analyzing the fall of Venezuela, like what items they have run out of that you should be stocking up on. You should be buying long-term food, stocking up on medical needs, and preparing for a down-grid scenario.

But as the country descends into chaos, you must also see how it got there. An armed society is a polite society. You’re seeing via the news report what happens to a disarmed society.

There’s a distinct pattern when society breaks down, and as our society becomes more desperate, poverty-stricken, and lacking of moral compass, this trend will become more obvious. Note that the “lacking of moral compass” part doesn’t just refer to the thugs rioting and looting, but also to a certain sector of cops who think that their badges give them permission to behave like street thugs, too.

Here’s the pattern:

An outrage occurs.
Good people react and protest the outrage.
Those perpetrating the outrage try to quell the protest because they don’t think that the outrage was actually outrageous. (And whether it was or not can fluctuate – in some cases, force is necessitated, but in more and more cases, it is flagrantly gratuitous.)
Others react to the quelling and join the protest.
A mob mentality erupts. Thugs say, “Hey, it’s a free for all. I’m gonna get some Doritos and while I’m at it, beat the crap out of some folks for fun.”
All hell breaks loose.
The military gets called in.
Cities burn, neighborhoods get destroyed, and no one in the area is safe.
Cops act preemptively, out of fear, and for a time, there is no rule of law.
If you happen to be stuck there, know this: you’re completely on your own.

Tess Pennington wrote about societal breakdowns in more detail – read her excellent article for more information on these predictable scenarios. In an event like this, you can try to call 911, but most likely, the police aren’t going to be coming to save you.You will be completely on your own. Will you be an unarmed, yet law-abiding citizen, hoping to somehow fend off the criminals who must have missed the memo to turn in their firearms? Good luck with that.

Here are 3 reasons why preppers need to be armed.

The thing that I believe it’s important to remember here is that if you have stacked your supplies to the rafters but refused to plan for defending your home and family, you’ve basically just made them bait should a desperate situation arise.

Just in case you think that chaos and violence only happen in places like Venezuela, where they’re undergoing a full-on collapse, the following examples are all from America.

Reason #1: Those who are desperate, unprepared, and feel entitled to be cared for

Remember Black Friday? People climbed all over each other for cheap electronics. Fist fights erupted over vegetable steamers. People were ready to throw down and do battle for sale items.

I’d hazard a guess that folks who spend time and money fighting over electronics are not the kind of people who prep. That means that these are the people who will be hungry in a long-term disaster. Look at those people, stampeding to get to a sale on things that they don’t actually need to survive. Their inhibitions are loosened because those around them are behaving in the same way.

You have to look at the psychology of this. People can justify pretty much anything when they or their children are starving. And I can understand that to a large degree – who could stand to watch their babies suffering? But if someone can devolve to the above degree just to because everyone else is doing it, the chaos we saw above is only a tiny sample of what could come if people were truly hungry.

Do you really feel like you could prepare them one meal and they’d go away politely? Do you really think that reason and a polite but firm conversation will be sufficient to make them go away? It only takes one person to start the charge against you in a tense scenario, and when that happens, unless you take swift and shocking action, the others will follow, and your retreat will be overcome. Sort of like when the walkers overtook the prison after the fence got knocked down on The Walking Dead.

Reason #2: Those who are planning to take the supplies of others

But wait, there’s something even worse out there than the hungry unprepared. There are the folks who have built an entire preparedness plan around taking the things that other preppers have stored. Remember this guy from another episode of Doomsday Preppers?

If you aren’t ready for people like this, your survival retreat is a soft, easy target. These people are not nice, but desperate. Their entire survival plan hinges on taking what someone else has amassed using superior force. This yahoo (who was subsequently arrested after his appearance on Doomsday Preppers) blatantly explains his plan, and I can guarantee that he is not alone. He’s just the one dumb enough to announce it on national television.

These are the types of people who are only careful about breaking the law because they don’t want to be caught. If a situation arises in which being caught and thrown in prison is unlikely, it will be a free-for-all. Morals and ethics won’t stop them, because they don’t have any. The only thing capable of stopping people like that is people who are able and ready to defend their homes

Reason #3: Those who loot and pillage because, doggone it, they like it

Finally, there are those who simply enjoy mayhem. Some people are just waiting for the opportunity to behave in this fashion. They enjoy destroying things and venting their anger on any person who has “more” than they do. They’d love to act like that every single day, but they don’t want to spend the rest of their lives in jail. But when a verdict gets rolled out, when a storm takes out the power, when a disaster strikes, they delight in the chance to rob, pillage, loot, and burn. Who can forget the day before Superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast, when thugs were coordinating looting rampages via Twitter?

Here was the scene in Ferguson, Missouri. These are definitely not folks out fulfilling needs.

I remember learning about “sublimation” in a high school psychology class.

Sublimation is a defense mechanism that allows us to act out unacceptable impulses by converting these behaviors Armed into a more acceptable form. For example, a person experiencing extreme anger might take up kickboxing as a means of venting frustration. Freud believed that sublimation was a sign of maturity that allows people to function normally in socially acceptable ways. (source)

If you believe Freud’s theory, then it’s easy to see that many people look for an excuse to revert to their true natures. In a situation where “everyone” is doing something, they are able to cast off their normal control of their impulses without much fear of reprisal. The number of looters and thugs far outstrips the number of arrests going on in Baltimore, so there’s a very good chance that someone swept up in that mentality can go burn somebody else’s home or business and completely get away with it.

These are the people who burned down their own neighborhoods after the verdict in Ferguson. And what businesses were left untouched? The ones for which the owners stood out front, armed, to defend their property.

You owe it to your family to be ready to protect them.

What if the world as we know it ended? What if there wasn’t food in the grocery stores? What if there was no longer any such thing as EBT, for those who have made a career out of milking the system? What if the police and military finally threw their hands up in the air, gave up, and went home to protect their own families? What if the scenes on social media from Venezuela become the scenes from America? Who’s going to keep your family safe then?

You are!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You have to realize that at any point in time, you could find yourself on your own, without backup from 911.

Whether civil unrest is right outside your door.

Whether a group of thugs decides to invade your home to rob and/or terrorize you.

Whether the world we know goes down, via an EMP that takes out the grid, civil war, economic collapse, or a breakdown in the national transportation network.

The only person you can rely on to protect your family is yourself.

You can stockpile until you have a decade of supplies put back, but if you can’t defend it, you don’t actually own it. You only have it because no one has bothered taking it away from you yet. You have what you have based on the goodwill of others, who are stronger, greater in number, and better armed.

Take a long hard look at the threats you face during civil unrest, and develop a plan for protecting your 50fb5a093ec87_image_ retreat. Wherever you live, whatever your situation, you need to plan as though 911 does not exist. Whether riots are occurring in the streets or not, in the seconds during which the lives of your family hang in the balance, you are completely on your own. In some situations, it won’t stop with the destruction of your property. You may have to defend your home. And for this, you MUST BE ARMED.

I’m sure I’ll receive another barrage of email wishing me and my children dead by our own guns. (It always amazes me how people who swear vehemently that they’re against violence can send me those letters that fervently hope for bloody and terrifying deaths for us.) Some people are so terrified of self-defense tools that the very idea of using one causes veritable spasms of cognitive dissonance and denial.

Those very same people will tell you that they’ve survived riots or unrest and never had to have a gun or shoot anyone.

And do you know what? Chances are, you won’t have to unholster your weapon. But this is a plan based on pure luck and the goodwill of others. Survival favors the prepared. I do not base my preparations for my family on the hope for good luck and nice people.

Firearms are an equalizer. A small woman can defend herself from multiple large intruders with a firearm if she’s had some training and knows how to use it properly. But put a kitchen knife in her hand against those same intruders, and her odds decrease exponentially. federal-gun-confiscation-units

You are your own first responder.

If the situation does escalate and the lives of you and your loved ones are in danger, there is no substitute for meeting force with force. You may not wish to engage, but sometimes there’s no time to escape. Sometimes there’s no place to escape to. In these situations, you won’t be able to talk your way out of it, hide from it, or throw dishes at the intruders to fight them off.

When you need help in seconds, the police are only minutes away. By the time they arrive during a collapse scenario, your family will be dead, raped, or kidnapped, and your supplies will be long gone.

If you plan to survive a scenario of civil unrest or a Mad Max society meltdown, you are going to have to accept that preppers need guns. This doesn’t mean that you want to hurt someone. It means that you intend to keep your loved ones safe by any means necessary.

Here are a few tips to prepare a home defense plan.

Your plan has to be unique to your situation. Be sure when making your plan to take into consideration things like: the layout of your property, your family, and their skill sets, your comfort with firearms, your neighbors – the list of variables goes on and on

Here are some specifics to help you begin planning.

Know how to use your firearm. Whatever your choice of weapon, practice, practice, practice. A weapon you don’t know how to use is more dangerous than having no weapon at all. You have to spend time at the range. It’s a must. During a stressful, frightening situation, you will be relying on muscle memory, so make sure the muscles are well trained. I’m not a firearms instructor, so I can’t recommend “the best gun” for preppers. The guns I chose for my rural property aren’t necessarily the same ones I’d choose if I lived in Suburbia. Every situation is different, and your firearm choice should reflect that. (Here’ssome advice from someone who knows a lot more about weapons than I do to help you with that decision.)

Make sure your children are familiar with the rules of gun safety. Of course, it should go without saying that you will have pre-emptively taught your children the rules of gun safety so that no horrifying accidents occur. In fact, it’s my fervent hope that any child old enough to do so has been taught to safely and effectively use a firearm themselves. Knowledge is safety.

Spend time making a plan unique to your situation. You need to prepare your battlespace and make plans for defending it. Those plans will be different based on your experience and that of people in your family or group. For example, a family of preppers in the suburbs would most likely have a very different plan than a group of former military guys protecting a compound.

Don’t rely on 911. If the disorder is widespread, don’t depend on a call to 911 to save you – you must be prepared to save yourself. First responders may be tied up, and in some cases, the cops are not always your friends.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, some officers joined in the crime sprees, and others stomped all over the 2nd Amendment and confiscated people’s legal firearms at a time when they needed them the most.

Be armed and keep your firearm on your person. When the door of your home is breached, you can be pretty sure the people coming in are not there to make friendly conversation over a nice cup of tea. Make a plan to greet them with a deterring amount of force. Be sure to keep your firearm on your person during this type of situation, because there won’t be time to go get it from your gun safe. Don’t even go to the kitchen to get a snack without it. Home invasions go down in seconds, and you have to be constantly ready.

Have a safe room established for children or other vulnerable family members. If the worst happens and your home is breached, you need to have a room into which family members can escape.  This room needs to have a heavy exterior door instead of a regular hollow core interior door. There should be communications devices in the room so that the person can call for help, as well as a reliable weapon to be used in the unlikely event that the safe room is breached. The family members should be instructed not to come out of that room FOR ANY REASON until you give them the all clear or help has arrived. You can learn more about building a safe room HERE. Focus the tips for creating a safe room in an apartment to put it together more quickly.

Plan an escape route.  If the odds are against you, devise a way to get your family to safety. Your property is not worth your life. Be wise enough to know if you’re getting into a fight that you can’t win.

Civilization is just a veneer.

Only four short years ago, the people of Venezuela were armed. Look at how the situation has devolved since then. People are starving. They are burning muggers alive. Doctors are doing surgeries in the blood of previous patients.

The argument could be made for the chicken or the egg, but regardless, I’d certainly feel a lot better in a chaotic place like that if I was armed to the teeth.

So many times, when interviewed after a disaster, people talk about being “shocked” at the behavior of others. Their level of cognitive dissonance has lulled them into thinking that we’re safe and that we live in a civilized country. They are unwilling to accept that civilization is only a glossy veneer, even when the evidence of that is right in front of them, aiming a gun at their faces, lighting their homes on fire, or raping their daughters.

They refuse to arm themselves and prepare for an uncivilized future.

Accept it now, and you’ll be a lot better off when the SHTF.

Ramón Muchacho, Mayor of Chacao in Caracas, said the streets of the capital of Venezuela are filled with people killing animals for food. Through Twitter, Muchacho reported that in Venezuela, it is a “painful reality” that people “hunt cats, dogs and pigeons” to ease their hunger. People are also reportedly gathering vegetables from the ground and trash to eat as well.

The crisis in Venezuela is worsening everyday due in part to shortages reaching 70 percent. This to go along with the world’s highest level of inflation.

The population’s desperation has begun to show, with looting and robberies for food increasing all the time. This Sunday, May 1, six Venezuelan military officials were arrested for stealing goats to ease their hunger, as there was no food at the Fort Manaure military base.

London’s New Muslim Mayor: Extremist or Opportunist?

Majid Nawaz’s assessment of London’s new Muslim mayor, the newly elected Sadiq Khan, is that he is not an Islamist extremist. He is merely a manipulative politician willing to use guile and duplicity to achieve his electoral aims — not so different from the average politician.

Leading up to the mayoral vote, questions arose about Khan’s association with extremists, which constitutes a long list in the new mayor’s political history.

Consider:

In 2001, Khan was the lawyer for the American radical Islamist group Nation of Islam, successfully arguing in front of the UK’s High Court to overturn the ban on its leader, Louis Farrakhan.
In 2003, Khan appeared at a conference with Sajeel Abu Ibrahim, a member of the banned al-Muhajiroun group that was founded by hate preacher Omar Bakri Muhammad (now prohibited from entering the UK) and led by hate preacher Anjem Choudary (whose many organizations have been said to have contributed “the single biggest gateway to terrorism in recent British history”). Sajeel also ran a terrorist training camp in Pakistan attended by 7/7 bomber Mohammad Sidique Khan.
In 2004, Khan testified to the House of Commons as head of the Muslim Council of Britain’s legal affairs committee. As council legal head, Khan argued in parliament that the Muslim Brotherhood(1)’s spiritual leader Yusuf Al-Qaradawi “is not the extremist that he is painted as being.” Qaradawi (also banned in the UK for his extremist views) advocates, among other sharia principles, for wife beating and suicide bombings against Israeli citizens. After the murder of an Ahmadi Muslim in Scotland for wishing his Christian customers a peaceful Easter, the council “condemned” the incident by pointing out that Ahmadis are not Muslims.
Khan was the defense lawyer for Zacarias Moussaoui, a 9/11 terrorist and confessed member of Al Qaeda.
Khan attended events for the extremist group CAGE and wrote a forward for one of their reports. CAGE is a primary supporter of the Islamic State executioner known as “Jihadi John,” who they described as a “beautiful young man.”
Khan appeared on panels with Muslim community leader and cleric Suliman Gani, a supporter of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), no less than nine times.
In 2010, Khan shamelessly played the Ahmadi card, flaring up sectarian hatred in his reelection bid to the parliament when faced with stiff competition from Nasser Butt, an Ahmadi who had opposed the war in Iraq unlike Khan who had voted in favor of it.

America are you really paying attention Defending himself against charges of extremism, Khan points to his record on supporting rights for homosexual and transsexual rights. Since he was first elected to parliament in 2005, that support has been unwavering.

Khan has been an outspoken critic of anti-Semitism. Most recently, he stated he was “embarrassed and sorrowful” about the glaring anti-Semitism that has been spotlighted in his own party.

As the Muslim Public Affairs Committee in the UK (MPAC-UK) derogatorily pointed out in a comment piece on their website posted just two days before the election, “A Vote for Sadiq Khan in the London Mayor Elections is a Vote for Israel.”

Much to MPAC-UK’s chagrin and dismay, Khan is an opponent of the anti-Israel BDS movement. Although he called for sanctions against Israel in 2009, he says he has since changed his mind.

On the last day of his campaign, it was revealed that in an interview Khan gave in 2009 on Iranian television, he referred to Muslims fighting extremism as “Uncle Toms.” (He has since apologized.)

Still, Majid Nawaz insists that Khan is no extremist. Khan was Nawaz’s lawyer when he was arrested in Egypt for working for the banned Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir. Nawaz, now a prominent counter extremism campaigner, says he is forever indebted to Khan for visiting him in Egypt’s Mazra Tora prison, “while the world gave up on me.”

Ironically, it was Nawaz’s counter-extremism foundation Quilliam that were targeted by Khan in his “Uncle Tom” remarks.

Nawaz refrained from commenting on Khan and his electoral bid until after the election. In his first piece penned after the election, Nawaz paints a picture of Khan as a realist (read: opportunistic) and consummate politician.

“When push comes to shove, gaining power becomes more important for politicians from all parties, than defending principles,” writes Nawaz. “And sadly, extremists remain among the most powerful organized forces in Britain’s Muslim grassroots.”

Nawaz explains the unfortunate political climate in today’s Britain: “By 2009, extremism had grown so rife among my own British Muslim community that, in a sign of our times, a Muslim government minister for Social Cohesion [Khan] would find it politically expedient to call a group of Muslims, who were not in government, ‘Uncle Toms’ simply for criticizing extremism.”

Yet, Nawaz doesn’t give Khan a free pass, saying, “It did not need to be like this. As a column in the Wall Street Journalrecently noted, ‘Other Muslim leaders took a different approach.’

“The struggles that reforming liberal and ex-Muslims face every day, the dehumanization, the delegitimization, the excommunication, the outcasting, the threats, intimidation and the violence makes this inexcusable … Why is it okay for a mayor to have shared panels with all manner of Muslim extremists, while actively distancing himself from, and smearing, counter-extremist Muslims?”

A good question it would behoove the new mayor to answer.

Sharia: A legal framework to regulate public and private aspects of life based upon specific Islamic teachings. Sharia is a strict system which views non-Muslims as second-class citizens, sanctions inequality between men and women and prescribes cruel and unusual punishments for crimes.

U.S. plots with United Nations to expand Syrian refugees from 10,000 to 200,000

In a move around the standard refugee settlement process in America, the United Nations and the administration are scheming to find other ways to boost the number of Syrians entering the country, from 10,000 this year to possibly 200,000.

U.S. officials, meeting with United Nations human rights officials in Geneva, joined in a project that looks to “alternative safe pathways” to setting Syrian refugees in America and Europe that include pushing colleges and universities to offer tuition programs and encouraging Syrians already in the country to open their homes to those who’ve fled the war-torn Middle East nation.

The plan already has one victory. Last week, the University of Southern California revealed that it is offering five free tuition programs for Syrian refugees, including one in the school’s journalism program.

The effort was revealed Monday in a Center for Immigration Studies post. It quoted a Georgetown University professor and U.N. refugee policy advisor who spelled out the backdoor plan to settle thousands more Syrians past the 10,000 President Obama has pledged to OK this year.

Beth Ferris, a research professor at Georgetown University and U.N. advisor, even suggested a total of 200,000 at a recent Brookings Institution conference:

“Refugees and government officials are expecting this crisis to last 10 or 15 years. It’s time that we no longer work as business as usual … UNHCR next month is convening a meeting to look at what are being called ‘alternative safe pathways’ for Syrian refugees. Maybe it’s hard for the U.S. to go from 2,000 to 200,000 refugees resettled in a year, but maybe there are ways we can ask our universities to offer scholarships to Syrian students. Maybe we can tweak some of our immigration policies to enable Syrian-Americans who have lived here to bring not only their kids and spouses but their uncles and their grandmothers. There may be ways that we could encourage Syrians to come to the U.S. without going through this laborious, time-consuming process of refugee resettlement.”

The Geneva meeting took place March 30 and CIS had the details on what occurred.

The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, told representatives of 92 nations that they needed to explore “alternative avenues” for the admission of Syrian refugees. He said:

“These pathways can take many forms: not only resettlement, but also more flexible mechanisms for family reunification, including extended family members, labor mobility schemes, student visa and scholarships, as well as visa for medical reasons. Resettlement needs vastly outstrip the places that have been made available so far… But humanitarian and student visa, job permits and family reunification would represent safe avenues of admission for many other refugees as well.”

At the end of the meeting, he said that many countries had made commitments, among them:

— Increasing the number of resettlement and humanitarian admission places.

— Easing family reunification and increase possibilities for family reunion.

— Providing scholarships and student visas for Syrian refugees.

— Removing administrative barriers and simplify processes to facilitate and expedite the admission of Syrian refugees.

— Using resources provided by the private sector in order to create labor mobility schemes for Syrian refugees.

It would be just the latest expansion of benefits for refugees that Americans and other nations already supply. Secrets reported Sunday, for example, that poor refugee children receive more cash payments, food stamps and Social Security than poor American children.

Chinese Military Admits It Just Tested An Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

The Chinese Defense Ministry just confirmed it recently tested an intercontinental ballistic missile, sending a strong signal to outside observers, just as disputes over the South China Sea mount. The ministry released a statement saying “technological research experiments conducted according to plan within China’s boundaries are normal and are not aimed at any specific nations or targets,” according to a Thursday Associated Press report.

As usual, the ministry, though tacitly admitting of the launch, did not confirm the location of the test site.

A Tuesday report from the Free Beacon quoted Pentagon officials saying the Chinese military tested a DF-41 missile. What seems clear is the Chinese are working on retooling their ICBMs to carry nuclear warheads, based on testimony from U.S. Strategic Command Adm. Cecil Harry back in January. Additionally, the missile test comes at a time when tensions over the South China Sea are heating up. One of China’s most prominent military officials, Gen. Fan Changlong, paid a visit to the Spratly Islands at roughly the same time Secretary of Defense Ash Carter flew over to the region.

China claims almost the entirety of the South China Sea, and although the Pentagon has not taken any stance on ownership claims, it has urged China to stop building artificial islands and reclaiming land. China appears to have ignored the Pentagon completely and regularly balks when the Pentagon conducts freedom of navigation patrols in the region, saying the U.S. is unnecessarily militarizing the area by developing alliances with other countries under threat by China.

Meanwhile, China is also slowly militarizing its artificial islands, making it more obvious that the purpose of the islands is not purely or even primarily civilian. But to maintain that image, China has paid civilian fishing boats to assert its claims in the region, so that it does not appear as though the military is stepping up efforts to claim the South China Sea as its sovereign territory.

China’s display of force with the DF-41 is significant, given that it has a range of 7,456 miles. This means it can reach any part within the United States.

Rome’s Iconic Trevi Fountain to Be Dyed Red in Honor of New Christian Martyrs

In a move reminiscent of the first plague of Egypt, the city of Rome will dye its most emblematic fountain blood red in commemoration of the many new martyrs killed in our time for their faith in Jesus Christ.

According to the Catholic News Agency, the Trevi Fountain will be dyed red on the evening of on April 29 “in recognition of all Christians who even today give their life for the faith.”

The Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need has organized the event to “call attention to the drama of anti-Christian persecution.” Vatican Cardinal Mauro Piacenza will introduce the ceremony, which will feature testimony from Bishop Antoine Audo of Aleppo, Syria, as well as other witnesses to Christian massacres in Yemen, Pakistan, Turkey and Kenya.

In a statement posted on their website, the group said they hope this program will create “a long-lasting, concrete reaction everywhere so that the persecuted people of the 21st century can return as soon as possible to fully enjoying their natural right to religious freedom.”

The Italian daily Il Giornale noted that there are 150 million persecuted Christians throughout the world, “a genocide that too often silent Western institutions refuse to recognize.”

The organizers added that “the systematic violation of the right to religious freedom, especially that of Christians, must become the central issue of the public debate.”

The year 2015 saw “the most violent and sustained attack on Christian faith in modern history,” according to a watchdog organization that has been monitoring Christian persecution for decades.

Open Doors, an organization founded in 1955 to assist persecuted Christians, publishes an annual “World Watch List,” reporting on attacks against Christians and ranking the most hostile national environments for believers. “The 2016 World Watch List documents an unprecedented escalation of violence against Christians, making this past year the most violent and sustained attack on Christian faith in modern history,” Open Doors CEO David Curry said at the rollout of the list. Persecution in “continuing to increase, intensify and spread across the globe,” he said.

Pope Francis has spoken frequently during his papacy on modern-day martyrs. On April 7, the Pope called martyrs “the lifeblood of the Church.” “It is the witness of our martyrs of today – so many! – chased out of their homeland, driven away, having their throats cut, persecuted: they have the courage to confess Jesus even to the point of death,” he said.

In his Good Friday ceremony of the Stations of the Cross last month, the Pope denounced the global persecution of Christians, who are still “killed, burned alive, throats slit, and beheaded with barbarous blades amid cowardly silence.” The ceremony was held in the iconic setting of the Roman Coliseum, a symbol for many of the earliest Christian persecutions and martyrdom. Francis underscored the evil of these atrocities, carried out in the name of God and religion.

“O Cross of Christ, we still see you today in the fanaticism and terrorism of the followers of a religion who profane the name of God and use it to justify their unprecedented violence,” in evident reference to the Islamist terrorists behind much Christian persecution today.

According to the biblical account of the plagues of Egypt, God commanded Moses and Aaron to turn the Nile and all the waters of Egypt to blood, as a sign to Pharaoh. “Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone,” God tells Moses. Yet despite this sign, Pharaoh’s heart was “hardened” and the persecution of God’s people continued.

Police set to enforce sharia law on Twitter

On Monday, Pamela Geller, president of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) warned that authorities in countries around the world are preparing to enforce sharia law on social media sites like Twitter, in an effort to stifle free speech — specifically, speech in opposition to Islamic jihad.

The following tweet, for example, was recently posted by police in Glasgow:

And this is not just in the UK, the Netherlands or Scotland (Glasgow police posted the above tweet). Obama’s Department of Justice tried this very thing, but our organization held a protest that attracted thousands to stand against sharia restriction on our First Amendment rights.

Hundreds gathered at the Manchester-Coffee County Conference Center in Manchester, Tenn., Tuesday night, for an event sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee on free speech and social media. But the gathering turned into a protest of what many believe is a threatened crackdown on free speech on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, Twitchy said.

Earlier, U.S. attorney Bill Killian said the meeting would serve as “an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion” and to “inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”

The meeting was the result of a controversial Facebook post by Coffee County Commissioner Barry West, who posted a picture of a man holding a shotgun with the caption, “How to wink at a Muslim.” West apologized for the photo in early May.

Now, it seems that speech critical of jihad and migrants committing crimes are attracting more attention from authorities than the individuals actually committing the crimes.

Geller wonders: “It is unclear as to whether or not sharing this article would constitute an ‘unnecessary’ post. But it may be worth finding out.”

At least 72 people were killed and hundreds injured, many of them children, when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded park in Lahore, Pakistan on Sunday. Explosives packed with ball bearings ripped through crowds near a Gulshan Iqbal Park’s play area, leaving dozens dead or bloodied.

Witnesses described children screaming as people carried the injured in their arms, while frantic relatives searched for loved ones. Javed Ali, a 35-year-old who lives opposite the park near the centre of the city, said the force of the blast shattered the windows of his home.

“After 10 minutes I went outside. There was human flesh on the walls of our house. People were crying, I could hear ambulances,” he said.

“It was overcrowded because of Easter, there were a lot of Christians there. It was so crowded I told my family not to go.”

Doctors described frenzied scenes at hospitals, with staff treating casualties on floors and in corridors, as officials tweeted calls for blood donations. Witnesses said the wounded were first rushed to hospital in rickshaws and other vehicles before dozens of ambulances arrived on the scene.

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea released a propaganda video on Saturday that depicts a nuclear strike on Washington, along with a warning to “American imperialists” not to provoke the North.

The four-minute video clip, titled “Last Chance,” uses computer animation to show what looks like an intercontinental ballistic missile flying through the earth’s atmosphere before slamming into Washington, near what appears to be the Lincoln Memorial. A nuclear explosion follows.

“If the American imperialists provoke us a bit, we will not hesitate to slap them with a pre-emptive nuclear strike,” read the Korean subtitles in the video, which was uploaded to the YouTube channel of DPRK Today, a North Korean website. “The United States must choose! It’s up to you whether the nation called the United States exists on this planet or not.”

The Brussels terrorists were preparing an attack on a nuclear power plant and had recorded 12 hours of reconnaissance footage, it has been reported. The ISIS cell were spying on Belgium’s nuclear power chief, possibly as part of a kidnap plan to force him to let them into an atomic facility, according to newspaper Derniere Heure. Hours of film of the home of the Research and Development Director of the Belgian Nuclear Programme were discovered in an apartment in Brussels raided by anti-terrorist police following the attack in Paris.

The footage confounded investigators at first – as it showed the entrance to the director’s home in Flanders, an area outside the capital. But detectives made the chilling deduction that the group was attempting to gain entry to an atomic facility after watching all 12 hours of footage, which included images of a local bus.

Armed troops were sent to defend French and Belgian nuclear facilities following the discovery and both countries nuclear programmes were put on the highest state of alert.

‘NO BORDERS’ ACTIVISTS: Brussels Bombings a ‘Good Thing’, Encourage MORE Violence from Migrants

Who else but terrorists claim terrorism is a good thing? ‘No Borders’ you should be arrested for encouraging terrorism if you’re going to talk like that.

Activists on the No Borders / Calais Migrant Solidarity Facebook page have been discussing how Tuesday’s bombing in Brussels was a “good thing,” as the chaos it caused will have enabled illegal immigrants to cross into the UK. One activist urged others to exploit the situation, saying: “Tell your friends in the jungle.”

Their prediction has proved correct as, hours after the Home Office announced extra security measures at Channel cross-border crossings, a lorry-load of illegal immigrants was discovered in Kent.

The discussion was prompted by Chiara Lauvergnac, a self-described “freelance troublemaker”, who wrote: “Eurostar to Brussels suspended, Lille airport is taking some of the planes due to land in Brussel[s] airport. It could mean some chaos and good chance some people will go to UK! Sorry there is a good side to everything,” and posted the comment to the Calais Migrant Solidarity Facebook page.

Gemma Rourke questioned “Sorry a good side to people being killed this morning?” to which fellow activist ‘Rojo Red’ replied: “Whether it’s a “good side” to people being killed is really irrelevant to me.”

He added: “Brussels Eurostar traffic suspended, thus a real possibility of increased traffic at Calais Eurostar. Tell your friends in the Jungle!”

Lauvergnac has also used her personal Facebook page to link to two articles suggesting that yesterday’s Islamic terrorist atrocity was a “false flag” operation fabricated by Western leaders, designed to increase support among the public for higher governmental security measures. Another post is of an image which reads: “My heart truly bleeds for what happened in Belgium… But Palestinians have faced attacks for almost 70 years from Israeli terrorists and the world is still silent.”

A Pretty Humiliating Day to Be an American

Don’t say Barack Obama never tells it how it is. When he revealed to Jeffrey Goldberg that, in his opinion, the Washington foreign policy establishment fetishizes “credibility,” that obsession with credibility got us into Vietnam, and that he personally has broken out of credibility’s limiting box—well, you might have thought that deep down this was just an embarrassed, ex post facto rationalization of the Syrian red line debacle. But to watch him stand there today in Cuba, next to a doddering, pompous communist dictator going out of his way repeatedly to insult Obama and the United States, and in response mustering little more than a weak, “You know, I actually welcome President Castro commenting on some of the areas where he feels we’re falling short,” it is painfully clear that our president is a man long past caring about public humiliation.

Before a televised press conference in Havana, Raul Castro harangued Obama about the continuing American “blockade” of Cuba, its “illegal” occupation of Guantanamo Bay, seemed to accuse the president of being friendly to “destabilization” in Venezuela, and implied that his own family’s corrupt ownership of an entire country was justified because, unlike in America, “We find it inconceivable that a government does not defend and ensure the right to health care, any patient, social security, food provision and development, equal pay, and the rights of children.”

Welcome to Cuba, Mr. President!

With the man who ought to command the title of “leader of the free world” standing right next to him, Castro flatly lied to an American reporter who asked him about political prisoners, saying that CNN’s Jim Acosta should give him a list when the press conference was over, because he was unaware of any such detainees. (A partial list is here, if you’d like to see it.) When another reporter followed up on human rights issues, Castro responded with a robust defense—you can’t make this stuff up—of Cuba’s commitment to a woman’s right to equal pay for equal work.

And the president of the United States just stood there and took it. Virtually the only resistance he offered came at the end, when Castro, a man whom we may presume is accustomed to getting what he wants, grabbed Obama’s wrist and tried to hoist it into the air for some sort of victory photo op. Obama responded by letting his wrist go limp as Castro weirdly waved his arm around in the air.

As Obama advanced his foreign policy of giving away the store to third-rate dictatorships in the supremely arrogant belief that his generosity will teach their leaders to be virtuous, almost simultaneously the GOP frontrunner was in Washington advancing a vision of American leadership that appears to be based on shaking down our allies. Trump told the Washington Post‘s editorial board that “NATO is costing us a fortune,” and that “we are not reimbursed” for the help we give South Korea. Because America is “a poor country now,” we need to pull back from these and other similar relationships—though, implicitly, our friends could always pay up if they wanted to keep our protection. In an appearance later in the day, he also appeared to support cutting off aid for Israel, before walking that position back a few minutes later, because he’s pretty much making most of this up as he goes along.

In short, this was a pretty humiliating day to be an American

This man deserves a standing ovation! Nothing like sticking it to Obama at his own event.

After meeting with President Barack Obama at the White House Tuesday, Irish leader Enda Kenny voiced his support for Ireland’s constitutional abortion restrictions during a press conference outside the White House.

When a reporter asked if he supported expanding abortion rights, a staffer quickly tried to preempt by saying, “Next question.”

However, Kenny responded, “We defer to the Eighth Amendment.”

The Eighth Amendment to the Irish Constitution adopted in 1983 reads in part, “The state acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right.”

As the United States continues its descent into a wildly liberal hell in which the freedom of speech is being constantly eroded, Britain has taken a massive step in the right direction.

“In a move that could have wide-reaching implications on U.K. campuses, British universities will be instructed to uphold freedom of speech as a ‘legal duty.’

“According to Johnson, this means that the use of universities facilities cannot be ‘denied to any individual or body on any grounds connected with their beliefs or views, policy or objective.’

“’As part of this, the government proposes to raise the issue of freedom of speech, with a view to ensuring that a principle underscoring the importance of free speech in higher education is given due consideration,’ Johnson wrote.”

There are no greater visions of revival outside the scriptures than those of the open air preaching of England. Men like Wesley’s, Whitfield, and others called their countrymen to repentance. Many were saved, even though most of what they preached was not well accepted in their day.

The verdict against Michael Overd of the U.K. and Michael Stockwell of the U.S. was handed down Tuesday in Bristol Magistrates’ Court. They were fined $4202.98 each.

During their trial, prosecutor Ian Jackson “told the court some of the statements made by the preachers may have been in the King James Bible, translated in 1611, but that did not mean they were acceptable in 2016,” according to the Daily Mail.

So much for freedom of speech.

Almost right out of the gate, the Trump administration is facing its first arms control challenge from Moscow. Russia has reportedly deployed its new cruise missile in an apparent violation of the Reagan-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, in effect since 1988.

The Trump administration must do better.

I’m just not sure anymore how any self-respecting liberal can honestly deny that the BlackLivesMatter movement is racist. The Toronto Sun did some digging and found a short commentary written by Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder Yusra Khogali back in 2015 on Facebook. Here’s what she said:

This is the heart of the Black Lives Matter movement folks, they are as hate-filled and evil as the white supremacists of the KKK. The only difference between the two groups is the amount of melanin in the skin of their supporters.

Mexico warned its citizens living in the United States on Friday to “take precautions” and remain in contact with consular officials a day after the deportation of an undocumented mother following a routine visit with US immigration authorities.

Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos, 35, was deported Thursday after she checked in with the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Phoenix a day earlier.

“I think the police should have handled it differently and listened to what I had to say. They should have calmed the boy down and left it at that.

“In court the boy’s friend told the truth – that I hadn’t assaulted him or called him homophobic names. I had simply answered his question and told him about Adam and Eve and Heaven and Hell. Preaching from the Bible is not a crime.”

With THIS timing? You KNOW it’s an attempt to hamstring Trump. What’s the matter? Social elites haven’t made a big enough mess of international affairs in the last few years? They are doubling down. What could POSSIBLY go wrong in this scenario:

Less than nothing. We are currently Propping up the UN financially.

American taxpayers will once again be liable for more than one-fifth of the United Nations’ regular budget next year, as well as more than one-quarter of the much-larger peacekeeping budget – a total of approximately $2,957,000,000.

For those who would like the math, that equals 45% of the 2016 budget, and the same commitment by U.S. tax payers next year. Sadly, this does not even consider the total they plan to spend on global warming.

Commenting at the time, Rep. Mike Rogers said: “Why should the American taxpayer bankroll an international organization that works against America’s interests around the world?” The time is now to restore and protect American sovereignty and get out of the United Nations.”

We should wonder why we are still a part of this globalist organization.

The percentage spike is SHOCKING… and so is the percentage drop-off. What will this mean for Britain?

Christians remain a majority, while a quarter of the population holds no religion. But the proportion of Christians fell from 70 per cent to 59 per cent…

Among faith groups the number of people identifying themselves as Muslim grew most significantly, by 1.2m people.
