Speaking specifically about leftist efforts to reverse the United Kingdom’s recent vote to leave the European Union, Rush Limbaugh told his audience this week that he foresees a similar backlash — if not worse — to the election of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
And the left’s planning has already started, he said.
“Now, you are not a stranger,” Limbaugh told his listeners. “You know full well how the left goes crazy today protesting things, like in Ferguson, in Baltimore, take your pick, any event. Something goes wrong on a college campus and the media is right there. You add to this the Democrats losing the presidency in November, and my sense is that there isn’t gonna be any peace. There’s gonna be anger. There is going to be rage. There are gonna be lawsuits.”
Limbaugh predicted that if Trump wins the general election in November, there will be a stream of legal challenges and demands for vote recounts “no matter how close” the final vote is.
“No matter if it’s a landslide loss for Hillary Clinton, they just don’t put up with it,” the host continued, “and they’re certainly not gonna be of the mind to put up with it in November.”
The fact that Clinton is set to run against an especially divisive candidate in Trump, Limbaugh noted, is not the only reason Democrats will protest.
“Trump will be the icing on the cake,” he said. “It could be anybody. If Hillary Clinton loses, if the left, if the Democrats lose, it won’t matter so much who wins. It’s the fact that they’ve lost, they’re not gonna tolerate it. And there won’t be any condemnation of it.”
After suggesting the media would be complicit in promoting the narrative of those protesting a Trump win, Limbaugh went on to suggest efforts — or at least threats thereof — to nullify the election would spill from courtrooms into the street.
“Even before the election in November,” he said, “I don’t care what the polling data is, I don’t care if the race is supposedly close or not, the Drive-Bys, you’re gonna see it starting maybe a month before, you’re gonna see stories about all the planned riots if Trump wins.”

Varney was born in Britain and became an American citizen last November. He said, “It’s a very special day—this July the Fourth—because it will be the first July the Fourth that I have been a fully-fledged, bonafide American citizen.”
“I’ve been in America a long time, but just recently became a citizen. And I have to tell you that, when I, on the day that I swore allegiance to the Constitution to the United States of America it was a very special day.”
“In my swearing-in ceremony, there were 80 people from 33 different countries, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place,” Varney recalled fondly. “Everybody wanted to be there. We all wanted to be Americans, and it was a fine feeling.”
“I realized at that point, I’m a member of the club. I am an American,” Varney said. Being an American “makes you feel different. It just does. I’ve loved America since day one, and now I’ve joined the club. I’m in, and I’m a very happy guy.”
Elaborating on his choice to become an American, Varney told TheDC, “I have pretty much a free choice as to where I want to live and work in the world. And I deliberately chose America because this is the place that I know and like and came to love.”
Varney said he chose America because “it offered opportunity—and nobody cared what my mom and dad did for a living. You know, that’s an astonishing thing to say when you’re a European because your birthright, your background means a lot. In America, I never got that impression. Can you do the job? Have you got any brains, drive, talent, and ability? And if you do well, you can climb the tree. And that’s what happened to me. I liked it immediately, fit right in, felt myself to be very American, and took it from there.”
“It’s a feeling of belonging, being part of it,” Varney said.
When asked about the anti-Trump protesters who have shown up in California and New Mexico at the presumptive Republican nominee’s rallies, Varney said, “That’s like a red rag to a bull. Outrageous. You do not fly any foreign flag when you’re demonstrating against an American presidential candidate… You just don’t do it. Period. And on American soil, in California, to wave the Mexican flag is extremely provocative. And, I think, wildly counter-productive for the demonstrators. Nothing will move voters toward Donald Trump quite like a Mexican flag…. That’s provocative and counterproductive and utterly wrong.”
For Varney, becoming an American has “solidified” his views on immigration. “This thing of choice is very important to me. All immigrants are making that choice. They’re all saying. ‘I want to be here’—for whatever reason. They’re saying. ‘I want to be here,’ and America is a place which opens its arms to foreigners,” Varney said. “I mean, after all, where else in the world could I go, with a very foreign accent, and tell you Americans, the locals, what’s going on in your society. And if you think that an American could go to Germany and, with a pronounced American accent, read the news in German and have them—I mean, would you be accepted? Course you wouldn’t! But in America you can. America offers a warm embrace to foreigners, and I’ve always felt that and always felt at home.”
The Fox host told TheDC that he plans to celebrate his first Fourth as an American citizen on Cape Cod with his family. They will spend time, Varney said, at the annual Fourth of July parade with “my fellow Americans, all of whom want to be there and are celebrating our independence.”

America’s national security has fallen behind significantly since President Obama took office, said McCaul, who previously served as Texas’ deputy attorney general and as the U.S. attorney general’s chief of counterterrorism and national security.
Citing the attacks in San Bernardino, Calif., and Orlando, Fla., McCaul said the threat isn’t going away. “I wish it would, but it’s not going away in my lifetime. I just hope it goes away in my children’s lifetime.”
Though he said that prospect should deter Americans from voting for Hillary Clinton in the presidential election this fall, he also has yet to endorse Donald Trump, who McCaul said will need guidance on national security and foreign affairs. “I don’t think that’s his particular strength right now, but I think it can be with the right team around him,” McCaul said.
He also voiced frustration with Cuba, which in June denied visa applications from McCaul and several other lawmakers who were seeking to inspect suspected lackluster security at the country’s airports. The island nation, which sits 90 miles off the coast of Florida, is set to begin sending 110 daily flights into the U.S. this fall.
“This whole let’s open Cuba up to everybody — well, they just denied the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee access to Cuba,” McCaul said.
Washington Examiner: The president has been pushing for gun control in the wake of the Orlando shooting. If you were president, what would have been your response to Orlando?
McCaul: First, I would have acknowledged what it was, and that’s the impact of radical Islamist extremism in the United States and the threat that’s very real to Americans. The president did the right thing by going to Orlando personally and grieving with the victims. That was probably the deadliest attack since 9/11.
I think we have to tackle the root of the problem, this radicalization from within. The fact that it’s pervasive over the Internet and that it’s coming out of Iraq and Syria and northern Africa. It has expanded into that part of the world, and quite frankly, [we must] take it seriously. And have a military strategy, political, diplomatic and a counter-narrative that’s portent to the ideology that it’s spreading.
We don’t do an effective job countering this violent extremism or radicalization within the United States and overseas as well. We are losing this war of ideas and ideology that’s spreading across the globe on the Internet, which has provided a recruitment tool for the jihadists.
Bin Laden was very primitive in his communications, sort of cage and courier. Now they have the Internet and a new generation of terrorists to exploit the Internet to its advantage. They are, in my judgment, winning, not on the run.

Examiner: The Democratic National Committee was hacked last week, possibly by the Russian government, but possibly by other parties as well. What are your observations on that?
McCaul: It shows that our defenses are weak in the United States, and that we are under attack. I would say this was espionage. We saw 20 million security clearances stolen from the federal government in addition to 80 million healthcare records from Anthem that were big data theft. They were put on top of each other and are exploited for espionage purposes.
Those particular attacks came out of China. The DNC attack came out of Russia. You have Russia, China, North Korea hits Sony and you have Iran that hits our financial sector every day.
We need to really harden our defenses in the United States from these sorts of attacks. The bill I passed last December was the landmark cyberbill that will help share threat information to protect our critical infrastructures.
Examiner: Is the U.S. falling behind on cyber? Why?
McCaul: To some extent it hasn’t been given proper attention. That’s a lack of information, both Congress and the executive branch, and I think it’s an ever-evolving threat that is moving so fast it’s hard to stay in front of it.
We’re very good at our offensive capability in terms of cyberoperations or Cyber Command to bring things down overseas, but we’re not very good at defending the nation from these attacks. Both with the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security, I’ve been working very hard to make sure that our defenses here in the United States are improved.
Examiner: On a scale of one to 10, how secure is the average member of Congress from a nation-state trying to hack them?
McCaul: I don’t know if I can scale it. I think we’re vulnerable. I think we have pretty good protection and defensive measures in place.
The thing what worries me is the way that kind of OPM was inside credentials, or [Edward] Snowden with NSA. That’s always a vulnerability. The best technology, whether it’s screening at airports or screening email traffic and intrusions, if you have an insider who has access to the system, they can really get in and really compromise things.

Examiner: Wasn’t OPM phishing through a contractor?
McCaul: Yeah, they used old credentials and employee credentials at OPM and they got in. The Chinese were in our networks for about 14 months before we discovered them, which is crazy.
I’m trying to leverage the private sector a lot. I think there are some really good solutions out there, some software that can detect aberrant behavior on the networks. If someone is going into places they wouldn’t normally go into, it would automatically firewall it off and then have a kill switch for the user. That would have detected the OPM breach and stopped it and perhaps Snowden as well.
Examiner: Do you think Cyber Command should be broken off into its own unit apart from the NSA?
McCaul: It’s an interesting question. There have been discussions about that, or a sort of JSOC, joint special operations center [focused on] cyber. I think Cyber Command has the offensive capabilities, but again, standing up in the event there’s an act of cyberwarfare, are they capable of doing that is a question.
DHS has the protection of critical infrastructures in the United States. But in a time of warfare, the military obviously has to stand up, and the question is if Cyber Command is capable of doing that, or should we think about the idea of a joint special operation center that’s cyber?
Examiner: You launched a commission on digital security and encryption in February. Do you expect Congress to make any progress on that before the end of the year?
McCaul: I’m hopeful. I know it’s within the jurisdiction of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and [Chairman] Ron Johnson is taking a hard look at it. It could potentially have a markup in the near future. I think it’s too important and big of an issue for just staffers on the Hill to solve, with all due respect.
I have a lot of respect for staff on the Hill and members, but this is such a complex issue and so important that experts and stakeholders in the subject matters need to be weighing in on a national dialogue and advising the Congress how to go forward. We can make mistakes if we don’t do it right.
Encryption is not a bad thing. It’s a good thing in some respects. It’s security. They have learned how to exploit encryption and turn it against us. For instance, in Paris and Brussels they learned to use apps like Telegram to communicate point to point.
They’re now evolving where they can not only hide their communications, but hide their ISP addresses. Now we wouldn’t know who’s talking to whom, when and where. That concerns federal law enforcement for a variety of reasons in the intelligence community.
It used to be we could capture those and stop and disrupt plots, but if you can’t see it, you can’t stop it. Say someone [overseas] is talking to someone in Washington. You can at least put resources around that individual in the United States to monitor them. If they mask the ISPs, we can’t even see that.
Then the Apple phone issue is very complicated. The government asking a private company to create a vulnerability in its own system and exploit that is very complex. I think the end result was appropriate, and the FBI got the tools necessary to open them rather than forcing a private company to do it themselves. That’s more evidentiary, but that’s a huge issue.
[The commission has] been endorsed by so many people because it is a good idea. [CIA Director] John Brennan came out last week endorsing it, saying this working group stuff on the Hill is all fine and well, but it’s not going to get the answers we need. This commission, like a 9/11-style commission, is the way we need to go forward.

Examiner: Let’s shift to the Supreme Court decision on executive amnesty. The court just upheld a lower court’s decision finding that executive amnesty was unconstitutional. How is that going to affect border security? Was it a big victory for Texas?
McCaul: I think it was a victory for the Constitution and the Congress because we, under the Constitution, determine the immigration laws. Some would say we need to reform them, and I think it’s a broken system that needs to be reformed, but I do think we need to secure the border. In terms of enforcement and security at the border: enforcement, yes, security, no.
I’ve had a bill out for a year to secure the border, and at some point Congress is going to have to pass this and get it done. We just haven’t had the political will to secure the border. And we can get it done through a variety of ways. It’s a multi-layered approach of not just fencing — fencing works, to some extent — but also technology, aviation assets and manpower, boots on the ground responding.

Examiner: What else is on your legislative agenda between now and the next president taking office?
McCaul: We’re looking at some smaller border bills. This McCaul-Warner commission would be a huge step forward. We’re looking at [Transportation Security Administration] in terms of how can we reform it, possibly enabling airports to privatize if they want to.
We did this bipartisan task force on foreign fighters countering radical extremism, and we have a few more recommendations we can turn into legislation.
We’ve already passed some of these counterterrorism bills that we may put on the [Federal Aviation Administration] bill extension, which would be a must pass.
One thing that concerns me [is] we just came back from a trip to the Persian Gulf on an aircraft carrier. We saw the F/A-18s flying into Iraq and Syria. We went to Syene in Egypt — where ISIS is — and Camp North. It was so extreme that when we left they evacuated the camp the next day. We were in Tunisia and saw the museum that was shot by the terrorists.
We got briefed by the Libyan team that’s in exile right now — the Libyan ambassador — which they said is a failed state. We have 5,000 foreign fighters out of Tunisia, we have 6,000 ISIS in Libya, that’s actually growing, not contracting, so we’re worried about the last points in departure airports.
We went to Cairo, and they have flights into JFK and Dulles airport. It really concerns me some of these flights. I thought security was inadequate in Cairo. I don’t want to see what ISIS did, and that’s put a bomb on an airplane. It was a Russian jet, in that case, but it was supposed to be a British plane. But they have the external operation capability to do that stuff — the insider threat.
Examiner: On the issue of airport security, Cuba just rejected your visa applications to inspect their departure airports.
McCaul: Cuba, just 90 miles off the coast of the United States, they’re going to have [up to] 110 [daily] flights coming in now, and we wanted to look at their last point of departure airports.
We wanted to look at their security down there because TSA has been back-channeling to us that it’s not adequate, and I attempted to go down there to just look at it. There were five of us, and they denied our visas. This whole let’s open Cuba up to everybody — well, they just denied the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee access to Cuba and denied my visa application.
Examiner: Where do you go from here?
McCaul: They just did not want a guy like me going down there looking at their security because I may have seen problems, right? It’s hard to know where to go from here. We’re not going to let the issue die because it’s too important.
I don’t want inbound flights that could potentially be compromised with bombs on them. You get drugs coming in on these flights from Puerto Rico; you have drugs on flights in the United States. So, if you can get drugs on a plane, you can get a bomb on a plane. And I think that’s the point.
Examiner: Can you compare your experience as deputy attorney general of Texas to your current one as a congressman? Which group is easier to work with: people in D.C or people in Texas?
McCaul: I guess both. That’s kind of what I do in my current job. I work with people back home and up here. It’s a little more political back home. It’s a little more policy-based here.
My background as deputy attorney general — I had some creative initiatives to tackle child pornography and child predators to Project Exile, which is a gun prosecution idea that we did statewide.
I think this job allows some creativity to accomplish things for the good of the American people. I think being in the U.S. Attorney’s office as a counterterrorism guy was a great experience and great background for what I’m doing now, because I understand terrorists. I’ve been doing this and have had a passion for it for quite some time now. I think it prepared me well for the job I’m doing today.
Examiner: How would Hillary Clinton compare on national security to the presumptive nominee?
McCaul: I think our nominee is going to need advice. He needs to surround himself with good advisers on national security and foreign policy. I don’t think that’s his particular strength right now, but I think it can be with the right team around him. [Ronald] Reagan, that wasn’t his deal either, but he surrounded himself with good people and that made him very credible.
Clinton has a lot of experience on it, but it’s not exactly good experiences. She has some bad experiences. She’s been the architect for a lot of the problems we have today. The reset with Putin did not go too well. I was with Ambassador [Ryan] Crocker just yesterday talking about what happened in Iraq.
The failure of the Status of Forces Agreement when they basically gave it to them. And the political malfeasance not to engage with Prime Minister [Nouri al-] Maliki.
I met with Condoleezza Rice, who said Hillary Clinton only went to Baghdad one day for three hours to talk to [Maliki]. They were totally disengaged and just wanted to pull out of Iraq at all costs. And we saw what happened. Say what you want about Bush, but they did leave it stabilized.
McCaul says that while presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has a lot of experience on national security, “it’s not exactly good experiences. She has some bad experiences. She’s been the architect for a lot of the problems we have today.” (AP Photo)
It shows the point that you can’t completely withdraw. You need a presence to maintain the stability, so when we completely withdrew, the whole place imploded and now what’s happened? Al Qaeda in Iraq has morphed into ISIS. The Islamic State now is there. We’re relying on the Shia militias under the ayatollah to fight this war against ISIS. This is crazy.
Iran is now filling the vacuum. The Islamic State is filling the vacuum. Assad is still in power as a magnate for jihadists, and guess what? Now the Russians are in there, to really complicate things.
I think the optics are, from parts of the world, we’re embracing Iran so much with our deal at all costs with all other nations that we have this alliance with Russia and Iran, so the rest of that region — Turkey, the gulf states and Saudi [Arabia] — are confused as to what our foreign policy really is.
I think it’s been a failed foreign policy, and I think the architect of that foreign policy is Hillary Clinton. Given the right arguments, our nominee and his surrogates would have a very good opportunity to point that out to the American people. The question is, do you feel safer today than you did before? Reagan said do you feel better off. Well, do you feel safer? The answer is no. Most people would say, “No, I don’t.”
Boston, Chattanooga, San Bernardino, Orlando. When’s the next one? Paris, Brussels, bombs on airplanes. Like I mentioned in the very beginning, the Internet is expanding its threat globally. And it’s not going away anytime soon. I wish it would, but it’s not going away in my lifetime. I just hope it goes away in my children’s lifetime.
Examiner: Who would you like to see the party nominate for vice president when the [Republican National Convention] convenes?
McCaul: I think there are several candidates out there who would be very qualified. I guess the question is whether they would be interested.
Examiner: Whom would you pick if you were the presidential nominee?
McCaul: I think a good pick from a political map standpoint and political talent would be somebody like [Marco] Rubio in Florida. Obviously the presumptive nominee has to do a better job repairing his relationship with minorities. And I think somebody like Rubio would be a good pick in that regard.
It always comes down to Florida. Maybe [John] Kasich with Ohio would be another possible good choice. It’s always down to Ohio and Florida. I think, talent, pool standpoint at hand and the map, without those two states you can’t win them.
Examiner: What’s on your recommended reading list?
McCaul: My book, Failures of Imagination. I’ll give you a signed copy. People say what keeps you up at night, and I lay out what keeps me up at night in this book. It’s eight chapters, eight different scenarios, whether it’s Islam or space terror or cybersecurity or Iran or Putin and Russia. It’s fiction, but fact-based and educational.

State law requires businesses to offer “full and equal” accommodations and services to people regardless of their sexual orientation.
For now, ChristianMingle will only ask a user whether he or she is a man or woman. Spark Networks agreed that within two years, it would adjust other features to give gay singles a more tailored experience, the Journal reported.
The terms approved by a state judge Monday also applied to other Spark-owned sites that had operated in the same fashion, including CatholicMingle.com, AdventistSinglesConnection.com and BlackSingles.com, the Journal reported.
“I am gratified that we were able to work with Spark to help ensure that people can fully participate in all the diverse market places that make our country so special, regardless of their sexual orientation,” one of the lead plaintiffs’ attorneys, Vineet Dubey of Custodio & Dubey LLP, said in a statement.
A Spark representative said the company was “pleased to resolve this litigation.”

The only people that were spared in this attack were those who could cite the Koran. 20 victims have been killed.At least three American students have been identified among 20 people killed during an ISIS attack on a cafe in Bangladesh yesterday. Abinta Kabir, a student at Emory University who was from Miami, Florida, died when terrorists attacked the largely foreign crowd inside the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka. Fellow Emory student Faraaz Hossain, who attended the college’s business school, was also identified as being among the dead by a spokesman today. Tarushi Jain, 19, who studied at University of California Berkeley campus was also killed. Kabir, a sophomore at Emory’s Oxford campus, was an American citizen, while Hossain was born in Bangladesh and Jain was of Indian origin.
A spokesman said: ‘Emory University has learned that two Emory students, Abinta Kabir and Faraaz Hossain, were among those taken hostage and murdered by terrorists yesterday in the attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
‘Abinta, who was from Miami, was a rising sophomore at Emory’s Oxford College.
‘Faraaz, who was from Dhaka, was a graduate of Oxford College and a student at the university’s Goizueta Business School.
‘The Emory community mourns this tragic and senseless loss of two members of our university family.

According to witnesses a group of six Islamist radicals stormed the cafe yesterday evening armed with assault weapons, pistols and ‘sharp objects’ before taking more than 30 people hostage.
The terrorists then hacked 20 people to death, sparing only those who could recite the Koran, before engaging police in a 12-hour standoff.
The cafe was eventually stormed by elite Bangladeshi commandos who killed the attackers and freed the remaining hostages.
Among those killed are nine Italians, as well as tourists from Japan, South Korea, and India. The Italian foreign ministry confirmed the dead as: Adele Puglisi, Marco Tondat, Claudia Maria D’Antona, Nadia Benedetti, Vincenzo D’Allestro, Maria Rivoli, Cristian Rossi, Claudio Cappelli, and Simona Monti.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed declared two days of mourning for the victims to take place on Sunday and Monday. She also thanked all those who had expressed their solidarity with Bangladesh, and vowed that terrorism would be exterminated at all costs.
Army Brigadier General Naim Asraf Chowdhury said: ‘Most of (the hostages) were killed mercilessly by sharp weapons last night.’
On Friday night, Hasnat Karim had brought his family to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. Hasnat was too traumatised to say more than a few words about his ordeal, saying only that the hostage-takers ‘did not misbehave with us’. But he detailed to his father Rezaul how the gunmen – who were armed with automatic weapons, bombs and makeshift machetes – had split the diners into two groups.
Rezaul said: ‘(The foreigners) were taken to the upper floor and the Bangladeshis were kept around a table.’
He said his son told him the terrorists ‘did not hit people who could recite verses from the Koran. The others were tortured’.
He added: ‘The gunmen asked everyone inside to recite from the Koran. Those who recited were spared. The gunmen even gave them meals last night.’
Elite Bangladeshi commandos stormed the building after siege of more than 12 hours, freeing some 13 hostages. Six of the terrorists were shot dead and one was arrested at the scene.
July 2, 2016 The problem? The refusal of certain Republicans to come around to the political reality that is Donald Trump.
Calling the #NeverTrump crowed “threatened,” Palin said, “That gang, they call themselves Never hashtag, whatever, I just call ‘em Republicans Against Trump, or RAT for short.”

[Colorado Republican Senate candidate] Darryl [Glenn] wins, Trump wins, America will win because voters are so sick and tired of being betrayed. Politicians campaign one way and they govern another and that’s become the status quo.”
The #NeverTrump people “want to take their [Denver] Nuggets ball home and stay home instead of vote because their guy didn’t win this time around. Now, you know, I shouldn’t call them thumbsuckers because they’re not all bad … I’m kidding. They are. And Hillary thanks them because she cannot win without them.”
Referring to last-ditch efforts to try to change the rules and deny Trump the nomination at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Palin got serious, “This isn’t a game, nor some drama to be played out on the convention stage. No, they’re playing with dynamite and arming those opposed to the planks in the platform on which Lincoln and Reagan stood. We’re talking about the direction of our country, our children’s future, the direction of the Supreme Court, all of this hinging on the next election. And at such a time as this, you cannot be lukewarm. We’re going to take our country back, and you are either with us or against us.”
Palin also had a special word for the “silly” left-wing protesters at Trump rallies. “We’ve been telling him he should hold his rallies at construction sites. You know protesters aren’t going to show up at a job site! [applause] Did you know, some of those rabble rousers, they’re actually paid protesters? So there you go, not even President yet and our guy is already creating jobs!”

The bureau’s interview with the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is believed to be the final step in its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified information on Clinton’s private email server.
Hundreds of now-classified documents — some of them “Top Secret” — were sent and received through Clinton’s private server, which she housed at her New York residence during her tenure at the State Department.
FBI investigators have already interviewed several Clinton aides, including her former chief of staff Cheryl Mills and her deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin. Investigators have also interviewed Bryan Pagliano, the former State Department information technology specialist who maintained Clinton’s server. The Justice Department gave Pagliano limited immunity in exchange for his cooperation in the probe.
Scheduling the meeting on a holiday weekend will likely help with logistical issues for both the FBI and the Clinton campaign.
Clinton has no campaign events listed on her schedule which means that she will not be tailed by the usual pack of campaign reporters. The FBI has sought to avoid drawing attention to its probe by bringing in witnesses in secret. That strategy has been successful, as reports of the meetings have only come out after they were held.
Past interviews with Clinton probe witnesses have reportedly been conducted by FBI agents, lawyers with the Justice Department’s National Security division and prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Alexandria, Va.
The politician has not been asked in several weeks whether she had scheduled an interview with the government. Her last comments on the matter came in late May. She said then that her legal team had been in contact with the Justice Department but that “we do not have an interview scheduled.”
The meeting comes in the midst of a controversy involving another meeting — this one a secret conclave between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton. The pair met on Lynch’s airplane on the tarmac of Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport on Monday.
Lynch claimed that Clinton initiated the meeting and that the pair talked for around a half hour. She has claimed that they discussed Clinton’s grandchildren, their travels, and former Attorney General Janet Reno, who served in Clinton’s administration. She disclosed the meeting only after reporters asked her about it on Wednesday. On Friday, Lynch expressed regret about meeting with Clinton but declined calls to recuse herself from the investigation. She said she will accept recommendations handed down by FBI officials and Justice Department attorneys.
“I certainly wouldn’t do it again because I think it has cast a shadow over how this case will be perceived,” Lynch said at an Aspen Ideas Festival event.
“Believe me, I completely get that question. I think it’s the question of the day,” she added.
She said she will be briefed on the investigation by FBI and Justice Department officials and that “I fully expect to accept their recommendations.”
Lynch was asked on Friday why she did not rebuff Clinton’s request to meet with her on her plane. She dodged the question.
FBI director James Comey is said to be closely watching the investigation. He has maintained that the probe will be free from political influence.
But many observers have said this week that Lynch’s meeting with Bill Clinton has tainted the integrity of the investigation.
On Thursday, Judicial Watch, the government watchdog group, asked the Justice Department’s inspector general to open an ethics investigation into Lynch’s conduct. The group pointed out that, in addition to the probe into Hillary Clinton’s activities, the FBI is reportedly conducting a public corruption investigation involving the Clinton Foundation.
The FBI did not respond to TheDC’s request for comment about Saturday’s planned meeting. The Clinton campaign also did not respond.

Authored by Randy DeSoto June 30, 2016Over a year after it was introduced, the First Amendment Defense Act, designed to protect Americans from being discriminated against by the federal government based on their religious beliefs, will soon get a hearing in the House of Representatives. The Daily Signal reports that the hearing is set for July 12 in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is chaired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah.
The proposed legislation, H.R. 2802, prohibits;
The bill currently has 171 co-sponsors, all of whom are Republican, save Rep. Daniel Lipsinski, D-Ill.
Dan Holler, with the conservative advocacy group Heritage Action for America, is encouraged that the committee is finally moving forward with a hearing and hopes the legislation will now be expedited. “Given the bill’s broad support, both on the committee and within the Republican conference as a whole, there is no reason for delay,” he said.
Sarah Warbelow, legal director for the pro-LGBT Human Rights Campaign, said of the bill when it was introduced, “Once again, House Republicans are pursuing an extreme agenda that is designed to harm LGBT families under the guise of religious freedom. The right to believe is fundamental. The right to use taxpayer dollars to discriminate is not.” 
A related issue came up in the House of Representatives in May when Rep. Sean Maloney, D-N.Y., offered legislation seeking to codify an executive order by President Obama barring federal contractors from discriminating against LGBT workers, with no exception for those with sincerely held religious beliefs.
The amendment passed with 40 Republicans joining the Democrats in a 223-195 win for Obama; however, the overall bill it was attached to was soundly defeated, so the amendment did not become law.
H.R. 2802 may be able to garner broader support because it zeroes in on specific discriminatory acts by the federal government against religious Americans. Liberal objections to religious liberty measures passed in certain states in recent years have centered on concerns that business owners, based on their religious beliefs, would be allowed to discriminate against LGBT customers.
This decision will have a negative impact on recruitment, retention, and readiness. A diminishing number of vigorous young males will be interested in joining this kind of military, or signing up for another stretch.
The pragmatic challenges alone are enough to prove this is a terrible idea. Will every military base be retooled to provide completely separate bathrooms and shower rooms and bunkhouses for men who think they are women, and a whole different set for women who think they are men? What about accommodations aboard ships and submarines where space is at a premium? The mind reels at the logistical nightmare this will create for a military whose job is to protect us, not engage in radical and foolish social engineering.
President Obama is drastically downsizing the military, cashiering experienced soldiers, apparently so he can replace them with soldiers who have no idea what sex they are.
This decision will have serious implications for the military budget, which is strained as it is. According to the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (not part of the vast, right-wing conspiracy) there are at least 10 significant health challenges that transgenders, transvestites, and transexuals face that sexually normal people do not.

Transgenders will demand hormone injections and sex-change operations at taxpayer expense. In fact, the military will now become the destination of choice for people seeking sex-change operations since they’ll be able to get taxpayers to foot the $30,000 to $50,000 bill.
All of these health risks, of course, come at a cost to taxpayers for treatment, and every one of these health challenges will impact a transgender soldier’s fitness for combat.

For the “Christian” to lean politically to the left means that he must blow off huge chunks of the Bible and replace Scripture with the make-believe notions of PC’s malleable “Christ.” Only after torturing Scripture can the Christian then fit current liberalism into his supposed relationship with God.
For the Christian who believes that unfeigned faith in Christ should correspond with Jesus’ high view of Scripture, it is impossible to believe in God and be an adherent to this schlock.
Liberalism has been hijacked by bizarre special-interest thugs who defy the Word of God and believe that the Bible has no place in public life (except maybe in a museum where people can look at it from time to time).
The Christian skipping around the maypole wearing his rose-colored glasses who has a bent to the liberal left needs to understand something: If it were left up to the modern, secularized liberal establishment, Christians would be more restricted than Bill when Hillary’s in town. If the Christophobic thugs had it their way, Christians would be relegated to a marginalized spiritual ghetto on the sidelines of life.
For the naive Christian voter who thinks he can toss a ballot in the progressive direction, please know that a vote toward the secular left could leave you bereft of sacred liberties. Thanks to the aggressive and ludicrous liberal lug nuts’ anti-Christian agenda, your vote for a leftist is a vote for:
1. Christianity to be scrubbed from government and
whatever turf the government owns. Thanks to the liberals, the Ten Commandments have about as much acceptance in our government and their properties as Rush Limbaugh would at Sandra Fluke’s family reunion. The Judeo-Christian principles that formed the rock-solid foundation of this great American Experiment are now aggressively and consistently attacked by the lascivious left.
If . . . if . . . the secularists continue to stay behind the wheel of this American bus, you can kiss all semblance of Christianity good-bye in this heretofore God-graced government. Saint, you might as well say farewell to our government’s recognizing Christmas and adios to Good Friday if you’re going to vote the liberal ticket. If the secularists have it their way, Easter will be behind your keister, and you can kiss the Cross good-night as an acceptable public symbol that represents your faith and our nation’s recognition of Christ’s atoning work.
2. Secularism to be continually mainlined into our public school system. Thanks to rabid, vapid secularism, our public schools and universities would rather you be a Rocky Horror super freak than a Christian. If your beliefs run to the bizarre or the banal or if you want to smoke the same philosophical crack that Caligula, Nero, Castro or Lenin freebased, they’ll accommodate you.
Our schools are totally open to anyone and to anything, unless, of course, you’re a Christian. And if that’s the case, then you’re likely to get more sympathy from a badger with minimal sleep than you will from liberal educators who are hard at work making your life hard. Let me repeat: A vote for the secular left is a vote for Christianity to continue to be officially vilified on campus and for Christians to be ostracized in campus life.
3. Public officials, employees and appointees to be pressured to hide their faith in the closet and suppress their public displays of belief in God lest they be grouped with Hitler, Osama, or Mussolini and then fired. Not only will the liberals aggressively work to prohibit the State from green lighting and recognizing Christianity as a legitimate and positive force in our land, they will also attempt to stifle Christians from influencing the path of government.
4. Public attacks on churches and Christians and attempts to restrict them in the private sector. Consider this, Christian pastor and Christian lay person looking to vote for the ludicrous left: The secular Mafioso’s intent is to make your ministerial life difficult, your evangelistic work taxing and your voice minimized.
5. The continued media endorsement of the same putrid, hedonistic stuff that sunk ancient civilizations. With the liberals in place, expect more weird crap in movies and on television. Expect to see more paintings of Christian symbols and saints smeared with elephant dung. Expect Christianity to be bashed and vilified and Christians made out to be buckled-shoed morons with three teeth and an IQ of 50. Expect the culture to coarsen. Expect your kids to continue to be exposed to things that only rock stars see backstage with groupies. A vote for a liberal is a vote to see Christians continue to receive special ridicule and be flogged more than a piñata during a Cinco de Mayo festival.
Modern liberalism tosses out Scripture on several different levels. How a true believer in the Christ defined by Scripture can buy into what Jesus, the prophets and apostles said and also give credence to what these secular goons say is beyond me. In addition to liberalism’s obvious and odious pro-Holocaust-like abortion stance, its anti-biblical view of marriage, its Scripture-slamming, aggressive secularism, and its feckless view of our nation’s defense, liberalism completely clashes with the Christian worldview. Progressivism’s aggressive desire to eradicate Christians’ rights should cause Christians to be concerned.
The Democratic Party’s liberalism has degenerated over the last 40-50 years in regard to its view of Christianity and Christian rights. This party, which formerly embraced and protected our nation’s great Christian heritage and teachings no longer does so. Thus, today the Christian is between a rock and a hard place: He can either be a Christian or a liberal—but he cannot be both.

I’m assuming here that The Washington Post has not already ruled the Muslims who blew up the Istanbul Airport to be self-hating gays infected by America’s culture of homophobia.
It turns out, Omar Mateen, the Orlando nightclub shooter, also wasn’t a self-hating gay, despite media excitement over that rumor. The FBI has now run down every alleged gay partner of Omar’s, searched his phone and computers, and the alleged gay lovers either had the wrong guy or were lying, and there’s no evidence he was on any gay websites or apps.
As a Muslim immigrant explained in a curbside interview videotaped by Tony Vera at the Los Angeles International Airport recently — before she was arrested — “that’s what we do, we bomb people.”
With impeccable timing, three days before the Istanbul bombing, the liberal Guardian (UK) ran an article sneering at Brexit supporters for wanting out of the European Union before Turkey became a member and the door was thrown open to unlimited migration from this Muslim country that shares a border with Syria, Iraq and Iran.
The article by Liz Cookman was titled, “Turkey, the Brexit bogeyman, is not so different from the UK.”
Liz had a lot of fun with the Brexit-supporting ninnies, so relieved that “the Turks are no longer coming.” She referred to Turkey as “the country whose people Britons are apparently petrified of,” despite the fact that “it turns out Britain and Turkey are not so different after all.”
One way they’re a little different is that Britain has fewer Muslims on hand to blow things up. The attack this Tuesday, which left dozens dead and more than 100 wounded, is the seventh major terrorist bombing in Turkey so far this year, with a total death count in the hundreds.
As with the British media, the American media keep telling us that all these Muslim terrorist attacks have nothing to do with Muslims, and Donald Trump’s suggestion that we impose a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration is madness, bigoted, racist.
Thank God Hitler didn’t claim “Mein Kampf” was a holy book and the Fuhrerbunker a mosque.
Western governments have devoted incalculable resources to developing some diagnostic test other than “Muslim” to predict terrorism. As the New York Times reported earlier this year:
“What turns people toward violence — and whether they can be steered away from it — are questions that have bedeviled governments around the world for generations. Those questions have taken on fresh urgency with the rise of the Islamic State and the string of attacks in Europe and the United States. Despite millions of dollars of government-sponsored research, and a much-publicized White House pledge to find answers, there is still nothing close to a consensus on why someone becomes a terrorist.”
After the July 7, 2005, London subway bombing by Muslim terrorists that killed 52 people, the British MI5 undertook its own highly sophisticated study, examining hundreds of cases. But the UK’s security agency discovered that terrorists are a wildly diverse lot. They worshipped at a variety of different mosques, for example. Some terrorists were very religious Muslims and some barely practicing. Most were men, but some were women. There were young and old terrorists, highly educated as well as uneducated, some loners and some married with children. So, according to MI5, the predictive power of every factor is very low — other than: Is a Muslim.
The researchers claimed their work would “challenge the stereotypes” about who becomes a terrorist, but it pretty much confirmed mine.
Republicans who are furious with Trump for proposing that we hit the pause button on this one category of Third World mass immigration have nothing at all to say about the census report this week showing Teddy Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act has so transformed the country that a majority of babies born in the United States today are not white.
The only thing Republicans can do is denounce Obama for not using the words “radical Islamic terrorism.” (As long as they brought up Words Politicians Refuse to Use, when will the eunuchs work up the nerve to say “illegal alien,” “anchor baby” and “amnesty”?)
Obama is a hapless fool, but what is so special about the words “radical Islam”? Maybe it’s not radical Islam. Maybe it’s just “Islam.”
The reason Republicans obsess over Obama’s language is that they can’t go on TV and say nothing, and no one but Trump will say anything useful. To wit: Let’s stop dumping a million Muslim immigrants on the country every year, some percentage of whom we know will commit mass murder.

Clinton’s green energy investor bundlers have been deeply involved in prior efforts at the state and federal levels to secure taxpayer funds for such companies. A Clinton presidency would virtually guarantee additional subsidies and government incentives.
“I met yesterday in Chicago with a big group of clean renewable energy businesses and they’re just ready to go,” she said at an Iowa campaign stop in November. “But they need some help from the government.”

That meeting was in fact a campaign fundraiser at the home of Michael Polsky, the chairman and chief executive of green energy firm Invenergy. He is one of a handful of Illinois-based bundlers for Clinton’s campaign who are deeply involved in the green energy industry, and have leveraged political connections to steer taxpayer funds to that industry.
Invenergy itself is a major beneficiary of federal subsidies. It is in the top three percent of recipients of federal grant money through the Treasury Department’s Section 1603 program, which provides grants in lieu of renewable energy investment tax credits.
The company received more than $20 million in 1603 grants in 2012, according to Treasury data. Just 13 other companies in Illinois received more money through that program.
In addition to his career in the business, Polsky founded and currently co-chairs a taxpayer-supported nonprofit called the Clean Energy Trust (CET), created in 2010 to connect green energy businesses and potential investors.
The group’s other co-chair is Nicholas Pritzker, a Clinton donor and member of the rich and powerful Chicago family that includes J.B. and M.K. Pritzker, who are also bundling donations to Clinton’s campaign. The J.B. and M.K. Pritzker Foundation has donated between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation.
Another Clinton bundler, Antonio Gracias, serves as CET’s treasurer. He, Polsky, and Nicholas Pritzker sit on its board. All three were listed as founders of the group when it received its first grant from the Department of Energy, for $1.05 million in 2010.
Like Polsky, Pritzker and Gracias have significant financial stakes in the green energy industry, and have benefitted from government support for it.
Both are investors in billionaire Elon Musk’s solar company SolarCity and luxury electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors. The two companies, which have received billions of dollars in state and federal taxpayer support, are currently considering a merger.
The Podesta Group, a lobbying firm founded by Clinton bundler Tony Podesta and his brother, campaign chairman John Podesta, currently represents SolarCity. The firm’s work of late has focused on preserving the company’s stream of federal tax credits.
When Pritzker, Polsky, and Gracias sought support for green energy companies in Illinois, they sought more direct cash payments. According to federal spending records, DOE has given the group about $2.6 million since its founding.
The CET also received a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration in 2014. The EDA is a division of the Department of Commerce, which is run by Penny Pritzker, Nicholas’s cousin.
Penny Pritzker announced a $250,000 grant for another green energy investment firm created by the state of Illinois, called the Energy Foundry, in February. That firm, which is advised by CET, has since invested in two winners of CET’s annual clean energy startup pitch competition.
The CET teamed up with Illinois’s Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in 2014 to set up a new venture capital firm called the Illinois Clean Energy Fund. The state of Illinois put up $2.3 million in federal funds to support the firm, matched by contributions from CET.
The idea was to use CET’s pitch contest to vet and select grantees. The fund is “managed by the Clean Energy Trust,” according to a state description of the program.
That description also cites a model for the effort in a separate investment fund set up by the DCEO in 2007. The 
Illinois Innovation Accelerator Fund (I2A) was “established in 2007 to make venture investments by two founding investors: Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and JB Pritzker.”
By teaming up with the government, Pritzker was able to steer taxpayer subsidies to companies in which he was also investing in a personal capacity.
Both I2A and Pritzker Group Venture Capital (then called New World Ventures) invested in SitterCity, a classifieds site for babysitters, home care workers, and other service jobs, in 2011. The following year, both invested in digital marketing company BrightTag (now called Signal).
Commentary by Led by Ernst Röhm, the SA considered themselves the “people’s army”. They were dubbed “Brown Shirts” due to their uniform. Hitler used these Storm Troopers to sew the seeds of discourse between all the German political parties. Promising to make Germany great again, he agreed the SA would be the new army.
With a crowded political arena, Hitler’s focus on nationalism separated the National Socialist Party from the Communists. His position gained enough support to give the Nazis political control with less than 44% of the vote.
Röhm and the SA focused on Socialism. They wanted to rob the rich of their wealth and spread it around to the working class. In February of 1934, Hitler informed Röhm the SA would in fact not be the military force in Germany. Immediately after the meeting, Röhm declared, “Hitler is a traitor, and at the very least must go on leave…If we can’t get there with him, we’ll get there without him.” He promoted a second revolution in a speech two months later, proclaiming, “The SA is the National Socialist Revolution!”
As Chancellor, Hitler still answered to President Paul von Hindenburg. He had to strategically obtain dictatorial power. In 1923, the Nazi “Beer Hall Putsch” tried to overthrow the German government by force. It ended in defeat and Hitler in prison where he wrote Mein Kaumf. He strategized how to win power with the people. Never letting a crisis go to waste, he just had to wait for the perfect moment to seize all power, ending German democracy.
The friction between Hitler and the SA was quickly threatening the power of the Third Reich altogether. Financial backers as well as predominate members did not like Röhm’s all out push for Socialism. Military leaders balked at Röhm’s promotion of overthrowing the army and dissolving it into the SA.
Hitler scheduled a meeting with Röhm where it was decided that Röhm would take a “personal illness” leave while the four million SA Storm Troopers would stand down for the month of July. Röhm’s call for Socialism had already taken strong root. President Hindenburg was ready to declare martial law, which would have eradicated all of Hitler’s power grabs thus far.
Inside the SA was a smaller, extremely disciplined group called the SS (Schutzstaffel), led by Heinrich Himmler. He, along with Reinhard Heydrich, Joseph Goebbles, and Hermann Göring, saw Röhm’s weakness. They propagandized his downfall for their own political gain, exaggerating the threat of an SA coup. This convinced Hitler that Röhm needed to be eliminated.
On the morning of June 30, 1934, Hitler and several SS men stormed Röhm’s home and arrested him. He then gave the signal for the SS and the Gestapo to begin rounding up their predetermined list of political adversaries. The list was composed of those not only working with Röhm and the SA, but anyone who opposed or threatened the Nazi takeover.
In prison, Röhm was given a gun and 15 minutes to end his own life. He refused saying, “If I am to be killed let Adolf do it himself.” With that, two SS officers entered the room and shot him point blank. The other high-ranking SA officers were told, “You have been condemned to death by the Führer for high treason. Heil Hitler!” Over a 48-hour period, an estimated two hundred SA officials were lined against a wall, with the last words they heard being, “By order of the Führer. Aim. Fire!”
Röhm, along with several other SA commanders, were also known homosexuals. While many Nazi sympathizers disliked this, Hitler overlooked it for his own personal gain. Once the SA “cleansing” occurred, Hitler used the leaders’ homosexuality as reason for their necessary demise.
The events of June 30th – July 2nd were kept hidden from the German people until July 13th. Hitler announced that 61 SA members had been purged with 13 shot while resisting arrest. Three were supposedly to have committed suicide. It was here Hitler also designated it the “Night of the Long Knives.” He explained in his speech, “In this hour I was responsible for the fate of the German people, and thereby I become the supreme judge of the German people. I gave the order to shoot the ringleaders in this treason.”
Hitler admitted he illegally circumvented the courts, appointing himself judge and jury of his victims and ordering their deaths. He told the citizens he had a pen and a phone and could get things done, regardless of law, claiming it was “for the good of the people.” The people cheered. The president praised him. Germany’s democracy died.
We, in America, are not that far away from conducting our own “Night of the Long Knives”. Too many of us are now practicing “revenge politics”. We want revenge against the rich, the poor, whites, blacks, latinos, Muslims, Christians, Jews, Democrats, Republicans, and just politicians in general. When we pull the lever for someone on the basis of “he’s going to get ‘em”, we are no better than the Germans who cheered Hitler.
On the campaign trail in 2008, Barack Obama promised a “Civilian National Security Force” that would be “just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded as the US Military.” Sturmabteilung, anyone?
Bernie Sanders supporters believe Obama and Hillary Clinton have not gone far enough in their Socialism. Sanders promises a ‘political revolution’, with all the progressive, liberal, free, socialist stuff you can stand.
Obama prosecutes journalists and whistleblowers who expose the truth behind the administration’s unconstitutional, illegal behaviors. Trump has proposed easing libel laws so he can punish those who write or say unfavorable things about him.
As Hitler did with Röhm, Obama supports the LGBT community as long as it’s convenient. While the left’s mantra condemns Omar Mateen for targeting a gay nightclub in Orlando, Attorney General Loretta Lynch recently declared his motives may never be known. The Obama Administration just completely abandoned the LGBT community to cover for a faction they deem more important to their agenda, the Islamic extremists.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Let me emphasize I am not saying Obama, Sanders, Clinton or Trump would do what Hitler did. But can we agree there are quite a few similarities? Hitler did not start out executing Jews. He worked his way up, grabbing power whenever he could. The people were so distraught they even cheered it. Are we not at that point?
We need to take a long, hard look at the road we are choosing. History is not just a class in High School. It’s there for us to learn from. As they say, if we don’t learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.
America needs to wake up. The warning signs are there that we can loose our republic tomorrow. Sitting back and believing it will never happen is not good enough. Just ask the Germans. Warning signs are there for a reason. To WARN. If we choose not to heed them, then it is at our own peril.

Seems like all the Hillary hate is building up because she is dropping in the polls, but Trump isn’t staying in the same spot. He is rising up. Check it out.The tables have turned in this week’s White House Watch. After trailing Hillary Clinton by five points for the prior two weeks, Donald Trump has now taken a four-point lead.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Last week at this time, it was Clinton 44%, Trump 39%. This is Trump’s highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. His support has been hovering around the 40% mark since April, but it remains to be seen whether he’s just having a good week or this actually represents a real move forward among voters.
Trump now earns 75% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 14% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 10% of GOP voters. Both candidates face a sizable number of potential defections because of unhappiness with them in their own parties.
Clinton appears to have emerged relatively unscathed from the release this week of the House Select Committee on Benghazi’s report on her actions as secretary of State in connection with the murder of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans by Islamic terrorists in September 2012. Rasmussen Reports will be releasing new numbers on Clinton and Benghazi at 10:30 a.m. Eastern today.
Trump made a major speech on jobs and trade on Tuesday that even the New York Times characterized as “perhaps the most forceful case he has made for the crux of his candidacy …. that the days of globalism have passed and that a new approach is necessary.” Some also speculate that last week’s vote in Great Britain to leave the European Union signals a rise of economic nationalism that is good for Trump. Despite the media panic and market swings that have resulted, Americans are not particularly worried that the “Brexit” will hurt them in the pocketbook.
The latest terrorist carnage – this week in Istanbul, Turkey – also may be helping Trump who is arguing for a harsher response to radical Islam than Clinton. Voters remain lukewarm about President Obama’s national security policies and expect more of the same if Clinton moves back into the White House next January. Trump, if elected, will definitely change things, voters say, but not necessarily for the best.

Now, another official has found himself on the wrong end of the Clintons. That John Ashe was a former President of the United Nations General Assembly highlights the fact that no one is safe once in their sights.
And as you might have guessed, there are major inconsistencies with Ashe’s death. It was not only conveniently timed because Ashe died just a few days before being set to testify against Clinton in a corruption case, but official reports indicated he died of a heart attack.
The problem, however, is that police on the scene reported Ashe died when his throat was crushed during a work-out accident.
The New York Post’s Page Six reported that after Ashe was found dead Wednesday, the U.N. claimed that he had died from a heart attack. Local police officers in Dobbs Ferry, New York, later disputed that claim, saying instead that he died from a workout accident that crushed his throat.
Adding to the mysterious nature of Ashe’s death was the fact that he had been slated to be in court Monday with his Chinese businessman co-defendant Ng Lap Seng, from whom he reportedly received over $1 billion in donations during his term as president of the U.N. General Assembly.
And then there was this: During the presidency of Bill Clinton, Seng illegally funneled several hundred thousand dollars to the Democrat National Committee.

U.N. vehicles have been spotted in Virginia, shocking motorists and sparking conspiracy theories
Let’s begin our discussion with the Strategic National Stockpile. According to NPR, there are at least six of these warehouses at various locations around the country, and they are holding at least seven billion dollars worth of supplies…
Thousands of lives might someday depend on this stockpile, which holds all kinds of medical supplies that the officials would need in the wake of a terrorist attack with a chemical, biological or nuclear weapon.
The location of these warehouses is secret. How many there are is secret. (Although a former government official recently said at a public meeting that there are six.) And exactly what’s in them is secret.
“If everybody knows exactly what we have, then you know exactly what you can do to us that we can’t fix,” says Burel. “And we just don’t want that to happen.”
What he will reveal is how much the stockpile is worth: “We currently value the inventory at a little over $7 billion.“
The NPR report indicates that most of the supplies are medical in nature, and this includes “millions of doses of vaccines“.

The US national security industry is planning for the impact of an unprecedented global food crisis lasting as long as a decade, according to reports by a government contractor.
The studies published by CNA Corporation in December 2015, unreported until now, describe a detailed simulation of a protracted global food crisis from 2020 to 2030.
The simulation, titled ‘Food Chain Reaction’, was a desktop gaming exercise involving the participation of 65 officials from the US, Europe, Africa, India, Brazil, and key multilateral and intergovernmental institutions.
So could we actually see such a major food crisis during the years ahead?
Well, according to Reuters global demand for food has already been surging, and one new report indicates that it won’t be too long before we could see “a doubling of food prices”…
Swelling populations and demand for food combined with ever scarcer water and land resources could lead to a doubling of food prices and trigger civil unrest in some developing countries, a new report says.
Demand for food with a higher environmental impact, such as meat, has surged as emerging countries like China and India grow in size and in wealth, said Martin Halle, policy analyst at Global Footprint Network (GFN).
“A few things are very clear: the demand for food is going up tremendously because of population growth,” he told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Of course it is the job of the government to prepare for various apocalyptic scenarios. If government officials weren’t planning for how our nation would make it through a major disaster, they wouldn’t be doing their jobs.
But what are we to make of all of the strange sightings of UN vehicles all over America recently?
According to my friend Ray Gano, UN military vehicle activity has recently been reported “in Texas, Mississippi, Arizona, Florida and now in Virginia“.
In particular, a series of photos of white UN military vehicles traveling through Virginia that were posted on Facebook by Jeff Stern has popped up in news stories worldwide.
Is all of this activity unusual? If so, should we be alarmed by it? Brandon Turbeville apparently thinks so…
For the past day or so, military convoys have been witnessed traveling both North and South, with lines of equipment ranging from Humvees, troop transport trucks, and tankers to military personnel following the convoy in civilian vehicles. Interestingly enough, many of the soldiers traveling in the convoy were seen wearing helmets, an unusual procedure for a simple convoy. In addition, the convoys were carrying what appeared to be construction equipment.
Although the troop movement may indeed have been a routine convoy and the United Nations vehicles may also have been a routine shipment from a manufacturing facility or even a simple and benign transport, the controversy brewing in the United States elections and the potential for civil unrest, the dangers of economic collapse, and the potential conflict with Russia are all potentials for use of United Nations “peace keepers” inside the United States as many have posited in the past as well as for some type of “martial law” scenario.

Every window on the vehicle is filled with ballistic glass that’ll shed small arms fire like they’re pebbles and even resist a close-range shot from a high-powered rifle.
Each vehicle has nine gun ports, and so when they are fully manned they can lay down a very impressive field of fire.
At the end of the day, I don’t know what all of this means.
Everything that I just detailed could just be part of normal government activity that is simply receiving some unusual attention right now.
Or of course it could also be possible that the government is getting prepared for something really big, but even if they were, they would not tell us in advance anyway.
Personally, I am convinced that this period of time leading up to the election will be highly chaotic in America, and so my eyebrows definitely perked up when I came across these various news stories.
But ultimately the significance of all of this will be determined by what happens during the weeks and months to come. Without a doubt things have become much more serious in this nation lately, and I have a feeling that they are about to get a whole lot more serious…

The survey shows more than four in five respondents would pay an additional $4,000 per taxpayer to “deport America’s illegal immigrants.” Only fewer than three in ten said they would not.
Equally telling: 54 percent agree that “people who have entered the United States without proper documentation” should be deported, while only one-third say they shouldn’t.
When it comes to the presidential election, 47 percent side with Donald Trump’s approach, while only 37 percent believe Hillary’s immigration approach is best.
These numbers are huge for Trump and Republicans. If it can be extrapolated to the rest of the country, the GOP has a huge advantage on this issue in November.
Another equally telling number: 48 percent say that all immigrants – including children born in the United States – should be deported.
The numbers don’t break down by race or ethnicity the way the media would have you believe either. When asked which candidate has the better plan, 53 percent of blacks and 50 percent of Hispanics support Trump’s plan, while only 30 percent of either group support Hillary’s plan. That means that blacks and Hispanics support Trump’s plan in greater margins than whites.
As The American Mirror reports, San Diego County is not a traditionally conservative area. Barack Obama won the county over Mitt Romney in 2012 by almost eight percent.
The poll was conducted on June 23 and has a margin of error of 4.1 to 6.8 percentage points.
The media narrative is that Trump is alienating minorities – particularly Hispanics – with his promise to build a “big beautiful wall” to keep out illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America.
The results of this poll could turn that on its head.

My older brother was a Marine infantryman at Khe Sanh, and wounded there. My mom, Snooks West, was a civilian employee with the 6th Marine Corps District Headquarters in Atlanta. So there has always been a part of me that was a part of the United States Marine Corps. And that’s why it pains me to see our beloved Marine Corps being decimated under the vision of one Barack Obama. At a time when our enemies are gathering strength, being emboldened, and expanding their stranglehold, we are reducing the capability and capacity of the Few, the Proud. Instead, this is what the Obama administration finds a necessary endeavor.
As reported by the Marine Corps Times, “Thousands of Marines serving throughout the infantry and in other key positions are about to get new gender-neutral job titles, but the service’s top leaders are pushing to leave the word “man” in some of its most iconic occupations.
In all, the Marine Corps plans to rename 19 of its military occupational specialties, or MOSs, as the result of a months-long review mandated by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus. A service-wide message announcing the changes are expected to be published within the next few days. 
The terms “rifleman” and “mortarman,” are among those that remain untouched, according to a list — obtained by Marine Corps Times on Monday — of 33 MOSs that were reviewed. And that was by careful design, said a Marine official who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “Names that were not changed, like rifleman, are steeped in Marine Corps history and ethos,” the official said. “Things that were changed needed to be updated to align with other MOS names.” In most cases, the word “man” will be replaced by Marine.
You must realize we have the smallest Marine Corps since World War I and the focus of SecNav Mabus and Obama is name-changing. No wonder the enemy is emboldened and carrying out terrorist attacks darn near weekly now.
We reported here recently the status of aircraft mishaps and incidents — quite a few have affected Marine Corps aviation units, rotary and fixed wing. Marine F/A-18 fighter squadrons are deploying at less than 50 percent combat capability. Yet, what is most important? Changing names in the venerable Corps.
Earlier this week we reported that SecDef Ash Carter is ready to formally announce his plan to remove the ban on gender dysphoria — you know, transgenders in the U.S. military. What message does all this send to our enemies, especially an ideological one such as the Islamic State?
It’s beyond belief that weeks after the Orlando terror attack, this is the priority for our military? Ladies and gents, we MUST rid ourselves of these progressive socialists before we have a completely demoralized military. This insidious venture into fundamentally transforming our military via social egalitarianism and ideological agenda will put this nation in a very vulnerable position.
Imagine, another four, or potentially eight years of this under a Hillary Clinton, who will abandon our warriors and lie to the families. We will not have the ability to defend our way of life. And what do we tell the moms, dads, husbands, wives, and children — the loved ones of our uniformed men and women standing upon freedom’s rampart? Why should they believe these people will have the back of their loved ones? How do we look at the parents of the young man or woman who wants to serve, and not have that sinking feeling that no matter how noble, they’ll serve under people with no sense of honor and integrity?
I know folks talk about this election coming down to the Supreme Court. For me, this election comes down to having a trustworthy commander in chief who will restore the pride of our military — not pride based on who you’re sleeping with, but a true American pride that comes from serving our nation.
These are such critical times, yet we have silly people in positions of leadership. Think about what you want a future U.S. Marine Corps to look like. Yes, there’s a high degree of pride to claim the title of Marine, and they don’t need Ray Mabus or Barack Obama — neither worthy to polish the dirty boots of a Marine — to decide how to refer to the Few, the Proud…our United States Marine Corps.

The Department of Justice tried to censor and doctor the official transcripts of attacker Omar Mateen’s phone calls to the 911 dispatcher from inside the Pulse Club, where the execution-style event occurred this month. First, they tried to delete references to the Islamic State and to the religion of Islam and to the Arabic name of God — Allah. Within hours, however, the fury among Americans who had had enough with a Big Brother-like intrusion upon the reality of the threat to America was so great that the DOJ desperately tried to backpedal. Finally, the full transcripts were released — or, at least what the attorney general referred to as the full transcripts.
But, even then, they were unable to speak truthfully to the American people and to inform them about the true nature of the threat that we all face. The word “Allah” — which is clearly what the gunman would have used because we have proof from eyewitness accounts that as he was murdering his fellow Americans he yelled, “Allahu Akbar,” as is so typical of jihadists — was redacted and instead replaced with the word “God” in an attempt to whitewash or give the impression that this isn’t an attack motivated and inspired by any kind of Islamic ideological narrative.
The fact is, though, that this isn’t a one-off occurrence. What happened at the highest level of U.S. government, at a cabinet level, is in fact simply the most egregious instance of something that has been occurring within the U.S. government for many, many years. In 2011, the White House issued an unclassified memo to the then-attorney general and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, America’s most senior military officer, which demanded that all counterterrorism training in federal government — that means all counterterrorism training to our armed services and federal law enforcement, including the FBI — was to be scrubbed, made politically correct. Any mention of religion, but specifically Islam, was to be removed. And especially any word such as “jihad” had to be excised from training materials.
The motivation for this censorship derives, in fact, from an ideological belief system. It is driven by the worldview of our political leaders, especially those politically appointed officials in the National Security Council and at the highest levels of the Department of Justice. These individuals are incapable of believing or admitting to themselves that not all cultures are equal and that religion can in fact be used to justify mass murder.
If censorship of this kind had occurred during previous standoffs with totalitarian enemies, such as the Nazis or the Communists, the people responsible would have been laughed at, or, more seriously, been fired or court-martialed. In the last 7.5 years, the U.S. government, at the highest level, has been penetrated by a false belief about who threatens us and what they wish to achieve. As a result, we are all in greater danger than we were when President Obama took office.
After the Orlando atrocity, President Obama gave a press conference, which one could charitably describe as petulant, in which he expressed greater anger toward Donald Trump, pro-Second Amendment groups such as the NRA, and the Republican Party than he did against the global jihadi movement or even Mr. Mateen. Why is this anger directed in the wrong direction? Because, if the President spoke truthfully about what drives people like the Tsarnaev brothers or the Orlando attacker, he would have to admit that the last 7.5 years of American counterterrorism policy has been a failure.
And this isn’t just one author’s opinion. Recently, Duke University published a report entitled “Muslim-American Involvement in Violent Extremism — 2015“. The first figure in that report tells you everything you need to know. Since September 11, 2001, 2015 saw the highest incidents of jihadi violence on U.S. soil. I repeat, last year saw the highest incidents of jihadi violence on U.S. soil. That means we are losing this war. It is time for a new strategy. It is time to speak truthfully about the enemy.
Unfortunately, it is very, very unlikely that this will happen in the last few months of this administration. Now we can only pray that the next commander-in-chief will not try to censor reality, but will describe our enemy for what they truly are — evil incarnate — and will take the war to them with our Sunni allies in the Middle East and eventually crush this enemy that is potentially more dangerous than any other totalitarian foe we have ever faced before.

The Democratic National Committee’s (DNC) platform drafting committee – chaired by Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Maryland Representative Elijah Cummings – have added into their Party’s platform a provision to have the Department of Justice prosecute “climate deniers” in the energy industry for fraud and for misleading their consumers.The new provision that deals with climate deniers was adopted by unanimous consent under the heading “Climate Change and Clean Energy”:
Moving beyond the “all of the above” energy approach in
the 2012 platform, the 2016 platform draft re-frames the urgency of climate change as a central challenge of our time, already impacting American communities and calling for generating 50 percent clean electricity within the next ten years. The Committee unanimously adopted a joint proposal from Sanders and Clinton representatives to commit to making America run entirely on clean energy by mid-century, and supporting the ambitious goals put forward by President Obama and the Paris climate agreement. Another joint proposal calling on the Department of Justice to investigate alleged corporate fraud on the part of fossil fuel companies who have reportedly misled shareholders and the public on the scientific reality of climate change was also adopted by unanimous consent.
Interestingly, those in the so-called “green” energy industry have misled their investors and consumers on the “scientific reality of climate change.” “Clean” energy corporations have as much a vested interest in blowing global warming way out of proportion as the fossil fuel industry allegedly has in downplaying it.

Security and Data Technologies, Inc. (SDT) was initially chosen by Philadelphia School District (PSD) and then-Superintendent Arlene Ackerman back in 2010 to install surveillance cameras at 19 schools PSD classified as particularly dangerous. After the company began preliminary work, it was abruptly “deselected” and the $7.5 million no-bid contract was then awarded on an emergency basis to IBS Communications, a company not eligible for no-bid contracts.
The abrupt turn of events, it turns out, had a racial motivation. An investigation by The Philadelphia Inquirer discovered Ackerman became fed up that the district kept giving contracts to white-owned companies. SDT is owned by two white men.
So, after telling other PSD administrators she would make sure “all these white boys didn’t get contracts,” Ackerman canceled SDT’s contract and diverted it over to IBS, which had black ownership.
After Ackerman’s stunt was publicized, SDT sued, and the six-year legal odyssey finally ended Monday with a victory for the plaintiffs. A jury ruled that the district, along with Ackerman’s estate (she died in 2013), must pay out $2.3 million in damages. The damages cover $2.1 million in lost profits along with a small sum of compensatory damages.
“It’s been a long, hard journey. Justice was served,” SDT attorney Michael Homans told the Inquirer.
PSD says it is exploring a possible appeal.
The case isn’t the only one that stemmed from Ackerman’s actions. Francis Dougherty, a member of the city’s School Reform Committee, was fired after he leaked Ackerman’s deeds to the press. He sued, claiming his free speech and whistleblower rights were violated. His case was settled for $725,000 earlier this year. Two more lawsuits are still pending.
Prior to her downfall, and almost simultaneously with her decision to cancel the SDT contract, Ackerman was praised by President Barack Obama.

After more than two years, the Republicans on the House Benghazi committee on Tuesday released a final report on its findings. Four Americans died in the September 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. The special committee to investigate the attacks was formed in 2014.“I simply ask the American people to read this report for themselves, look at the evidence we have collected, and reach their own conclusions,” committee chairman Trey Gowdy, a South Carolina congressman, said in a statement. “You can read this report in less time than our fellow citizens were taking fire and fighting for their lives on the rooftops and in the streets of Benghazi.”
According to a document released by the committee, here are the “new facts” uncovered by the probe, with corresponding page numbers in the released report:
- Despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s clear orders to deploy military assets, nothing was sent to Benghazi, and nothing was en route to Libya at the time the last two Americans were killed almost 8 hours after the attacks began. [pg. 141]
- With Ambassador Stevens missing, the White House convened a roughly two-hour meeting at 7:30 PM, which resulted in action items focused on a YouTube video, and others containing the phrases “[i]f any deployment is made,” and “Libya must agree to any deployment,” and “[w]ill not deploy until order comes to go to either Tripoli or Benghazi.” [pg. 115]
- The Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff typically would have participated in the White House meeting, but did not attend because he went home to host a dinner party for foreign dignitaries. [pg. 107]
- A Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) sat on a plane in Rota, Spain, for three hours, and changed in and out of their uniforms four times. [pg. 154]
- None of the relevant military forces met their required deployment timelines. [pg. 150]
- Five of the 10 action items from the 7:30 PM White House meeting referenced the video, but no direct link or solid evidence existed connecting the attacks in Benghazi and the video at the time the meeting took place. The State Department senior officials at the meeting had access to eyewitness accounts to the attack in real time. The Diplomatic Security Command Center was in direct contact with the Diplomatic Security Agents on the ground in Benghazi and sent out multiple updates about the situation, including a “Terrorism Event Notification.” The State Department Watch Center had also notified Jake Sullivan and Cheryl Mills that it had set up a direct telephone line to Tripoli. There was no mention of the video from the agents on the ground. Greg Hicks—one of the last people to talk to Chris Stevens before he died—said there was virtually no discussion about the video in Libya leading up to the attacks. [pg. 28]
- The morning after the attacks, the National Security Council’s Deputy Spokesperson sent an email to nearly two dozen people from the White House, Defense Department, State Department, and intelligence community, stating: “Both the President and Secretary Clinton released statements this morning. … Please refer to those for any comments for the time being. To ensure we are all in sync on messaging for the rest of the day, Ben Rhodes will host a conference call for USG communicators on this chain at 9:15 ET today.” [pg. 39]
- Minutes before the President delivered his speech in the Rose Garden, Jake Sullivan wrote in an email to Ben Rhodes and others: “There was not really much violence in Egypt. And we are not saying that the violence in Libya erupted ‘over inflammatory videos.’” [pg. 44]
- According to Susan Rice, both Ben Rhodes and David Plouffe prepared her for her appearances on the Sunday morning talk shows following the attacks. Nobody from the FBI, Department of Defense, or CIA participated in her prep call. While Rhodes testified Plouffe would “normally” appear on the Sunday show prep calls, Rice testified she did not recall Plouffe being on prior calls and did not understand why he was on the call in this instance. [pg.98]
- On the Sunday shows, Susan Rice stated the FBI had “already begun looking at all sorts of evidence” and “FBI has a lead in this investigation.” But on Monday, the Deputy Director, Office of Maghreb Affairs sent an email stating: “McDonough apparently told the SVTS [Secure Video Teleconference] group today that everyone was required to ‘shut their pieholes’ about the Benghazi attack in light of the FBI investigation, due to start tomorrow.” [pg. 135]
- After Susan Rice’s Sunday show appearances, Jake Sullivan assured the Secretary of the State that Rice “wasn’t asked about whether we had any intel. But she did make clear our view that this started spontaneously and then evolved.” [pg. 128]
- Susan Rice’s comments on the Sunday talk shows were met with shock and disbelief by State Department employees in Washington. The Senior Libya Desk Officer, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, State Department, wrote: “I think Rice was off the reservation on this one.” The Deputy Director, Office of Press and Public Diplomacy, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, State Department, responded: “Off the reservation on five networks!” The Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications, Bureau of Near East Affairs, State Department, wrote: “WH [White House] very worried about the politics. This was all their doing.” [pg. 132]
- The CIA’s September 13, 2012, intelligence assessment was rife with errors. On the first page, there is a single mention of “the early stages of the protest” buried in one of the bullet points. The article cited to support the mention of a protest in this instance was actually from September 4. In other words, the analysts used an article from a full week before the attacks to support the premise that a protest had occurred just prior to the attack on September 11. [pg. 47]
- A headline on the following page of the CIA’s September 13 intelligence assessment stated “Extremists Capitalized on Benghazi Protests,” but nothing in the actual text box supports that title. As it turns out, the title of the text box was supposed to be “Extremists Capitalized on Cairo Protests.” That small but vital difference — from Cairo to Benghazi — had major implications in how people in the administration were able to message the attacks. - In August 2012 — roughly a month before the Benghazi attacks — security on the ground worsened significantly. Ambassador Stevens initially planned to travel to Benghazi in early August, but cancelled the trip “primarily for Ramadan/security reasons.” [pg. 99]
- Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta bluntly told the committee “an intelligence failure” occurred with respect to Benghazi. Former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell also acknowledged multiple times an intelligence failure did in fact occur prior to the Benghazi attacks. [pg. 129]
Democrats — in defending former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — have opposed the committee since before it was formed. Still, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi appointed Democrats to the committee. On Monday, the Democrats on the committee released their own report, which they used to call the probe a waste of time.
“Decades in the future, historians will look back on this investigation as a case study in how not to conduct a credible investigation,” the Democratic report states. “They will showcase the proliferation of Republican abuses as a chief example of what happens when politicians are allowed to use unlimited taxpayer dollars — and the formidable power of Congress — to attack their political foes.”

TEL AVIV – A U.S. government security officer serving at the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi prior to the September 11, 2012 attacks, warned his superiors that lack of adequate security at the compound made serving there a “suicide mission.”The officer further predicted to his superiors “that there was a very good chance that everybody here was going to die.”
In a devastating indictment, the officer stated that a superior told him “everybody back here in D.C. knows that people are going to die in Benghazi, and nobody cares and nobody is going to care until somebody does die.”
The dramatic testimony was provided to the House Select Committee on Benghazi and contained in a 339-page House Democrat report on Benghazi released on Monday and reviewed in full by Breitbart Jerusalem. The report was issued prior to the release on Tuesday of the Benghazi Committee’s final report.
The Select Committee quoted the officer as “Agent B,” explaining he served in Benghazi from November to December 2011 and was the State Department-provided Regional Security Officer (RSO) there for ten days in December 2011. RSOs are special agents of the State Department’s U.S. Diplomatic Security Service serving overseas.
Agent B says he was getting the “runaround” regarding additional security requests and that he gave his dire prediction to a superior.When I took over as RSO, I called [the DS Desk Officer], because I was getting the runaround on some physical security requests, complaining to him vigorously, you know, what the problem was.
I told him that, you know—to use frank language, I told him that this was a suicide mission; that there was a very good chance that everybody here was going to die; that there was absolutely no ability here to prevent an attack whatsoever; that we were in a completely vulnerable position, and we needed help fast, we needed it quickly, or we were going to have dire consequences.
Agent B further described the dangerous security conditions and his appeal for what he said were “desperately” needed security upgrades.
Our perimeter security is non-existent, we have walls with lattices that somebody can shoot through; we have walls with footholds people can climb over; we have a 4-foot wall back here; we have no lighting. So all these physical security standards, especially around the perimeter of the building, were completely insufficient, and we needed large amounts of money and this was going to take time, it was going to be expensive, but we needed this desperately to make this place safe.
Agent B said that a superior informed him that DC employees at the State Department expected deaths in Benghazi to such an extent that they were already discussing a security investigation, or Accountability Review Board (ARB), to probe the Benghazi facility following any fatalities there.
[Redacted] told me, he said, [Redacted], everybody back here in D.C. knows that people are going to die in Benghazi, and nobody cares and nobody is going to care until somebody does die. The only thing that you and I can do is save our emails for the ARB that we all know is coming. So this was December of 2011. He made it very clear to me that in DS/IP, in the State Department, and he was speaking very broadly, that everybody knew that deaths in Benghazi were very likely, and that they were already talking about an ARB.

Halal is an Arabic word that means “permissible.” Halal meat comes from an animal slaughtered according to Islamic law. That means Allah’s (God’s) name must be pronounced during slaughter, the instrument used must be very sharp (the animal must be slit at the throat), the animal must not be unconscious, and it must be hung upside down and allowed to bleed dry.
In other words, it’s an extra-painful process for the animals. No pork prepared in any way is allowed, neither are certain parts of other animals (such as the rear end).
“It’s disappointing that we could not convince the companies,” Arshad said. “It doesn’t have to be Hong Kong-wide. In the main areas, like Central, Wan Chai, Tsim Sha Tsui, the New Territories and at the airport, it would be a great service. The companies have to realise there is a need for this and that it is good business for them.”
Tourism sector lawmaker Paul Tse Wai-chun said he would welcome anything that would increase the diversity of Hong Kong and cater for people from different religious backgrounds. He said it would also be good for local businesses.

Instead, the committee sent him to an Obama administration official who was himself under investigation for covering up alleged corruption, Haney says. He worked at DHS’s National Targeting Center from November 2011 to June 2012, identifying radicalized individuals associated with terrorist organizations entering the United States.
“I identified individuals affiliated with large, but less well-known groups such as Tablighi Jamaat and the larger Deobandi movement freely transiting the United States,” he wrote in an article published in The Hill newspaper. “At the National Targeting Center, one of the premier organizations formed to ‘connect the dots,’ I played a major role in an investigation into this trans-national Islamist network. We created records of individuals, mosques, Islamic Centers and schools across the United States that were involved in this radicalization effort.”
However, late into President Obama’s first term and early into Obama’s second term, Haney says his work became compromised by DHS when it decided to shut down his investigation into the Islamic Institute of Education in Chicago, which was subsequently linked to the Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah Mosque in San Bernardino, California, and the Pakistani women’s Islamist group al-Huda.
Farook’s wife and accomplice in the December 2015 massacre, Tashfeen Malik, went to school at Pakistan’s al-Huda, which also is connected to the Deobandi movement.
After nine months of work and more than 1,200 law enforcement actions, as well as being credited with identifying more than 300 individuals with possible links to terrorism, Haney says, DHS shut down the investigation at the request of the State Department and DHS’ Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division. Additionally, the administration deleted 67 investigative records Haney entered into the DHS database, he claims.
In his first act of blowing the whistle, Haney notified Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of a DHS document casually known as the “terrorist hands off list.” The senator then contacted DHS for further information, and the document’s existence became publicly known in May 2014. Grassley is known as a government whistle-blower advocate.
In April 2015, Judicial Watch sued for the document’s release. Haney wrote in his book “See Something, Say Nothing” that in May 2014 Customs Border Patrol officials “refused to answer multiple questions” about the “hands off terrorist list” in a closed-door meeting with Grassley’s staff.
“I knew that data I was looking at could prove significant to future counter terror efforts and tried to prevent the information from being lost to law enforcement. On July 26, 2013, I met with the DHS Inspector General in coordination with several members of Congress (both House and Senate) to attempt to warn the American people’s elected representatives about the threat,” Haney wrote.
By 2013, as Haney wrote in his book, he met with several members of Congress, including South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan, Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert and Grassley to tell them what the administration was doing to his work. One other member, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul, also met with Haney and assured him the committee would protect him, and his information, he said.
Then came the incident that he says led him to be placed under investigation.
Days after the Boston bombing that same year, Haney met with McCaul’s committee in person and gave the members information about a Saudi national who was detained after the attack. Based on that information, Rep. Duncan grilled former DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano on whether the man was going to be deported.
Napolitano said she did not think that the Saudi man was a person of interest.
“I am unaware of anyone who is being deported for national security concerns at all related to Boston. I don’t know where that rumor came from,” Napolitano said.
She said later, “Like I said, again I don’t even think he was technically a person of interest or a suspect. That was a wash. And I am unaware of any proceeding there, I will clarify that for you, but I think this is an example of why it is so important to let law enforcement to do its job.”
After the hearing, the committee wanted documentation that DHS’s congressional liaison Ray Orzel provide the documentation that the Saudi man was, indeed, a person of interest. To get that documentation, the committee turned to Orzel.
Haney relayed the story of him sending the documentation to the committee in his book “See Something, Say Nothing.”
“It was my day off but I got dressed and went to a secure location near the airport and printed off copies of the files,” he wrote. “At about 4:45 p.m., I faxed the files to the secure number at the House Homeland Security Committee offices in the Ford Building.”
Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier and TheBlaze then obtained leaked copies of the files, which confirmed that the Saudi man had been a person of interest and that he had been added to the government’s no-fly list. DHS said that he had later been removed from the no-fly list after finding that he was a victim of the attack.

McCaul’s committee, Haney says, did not speak up for him or intervene in any way and instead suggested that he go to the inspector general’s office, which at the time was headed by acting inspector general Charles Edwards.
“They knew that I was being investigated,” he told The Daily Caller. “Three separate investigations all at the same time, because they are trying to accuse me of being the one who leaked the information to the media. Why didn’t they help me?”
Acting inspector general Edwards had problems of his own. He was being investigated for corruption when McCaul sent Haney over to him. When asked by this reporter about Edwards during the investigation, McCaul said, “The allegations are serious and there’s also an independent review right now. This is one of those cases that if the misconduct is correct and the allegations are correct, and I know he’s been put on administrative leave — he should not only be fired, the U.S. attorneys office should be looking at it.”
A bipartisan Senate Oversight report stated that Edwards compromised his job with Obama administration political aides as he put forth an effort to be tapped as the permanent inspector general of DHS.
Additionally, Edwards was probed for instructing staff to change an OIG Report of Investigation about the U.S. Secret Service scandal in Cartagena, Colombia, a charge he denied.
Haney questioned why McCaul would send him to Edwards in the first place, given the accusations against him. Additionally, Haney sent an appeal letter to Homeland Committee chief counsel R. Nicholas Palarino, expressing concern that Edwards may have tampered with the report he wrote on Haney (p.176 “See Something, Say Nothing”).
The Daily Caller sent an inquiry to McCaul’s committee and asked why the Homeland Security Committee did not intervene when Haney was investigated for the information he gave them as well as why they sent Haney to an IG being investigated for corruption.
“We will pass on the opportunity to participate,” a committee spokeswoman responded.

“If there is any way I can be a part of the list of the final 25 I would be grateful. Please let me know if there is anything you need me to do,” reads a Sept. 11, 2009 email from the donor, Rajiv Fernando, to Clinton’s deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin.
Fernando, who has donated between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation and tens of thousands to Clinton’s various campaigns, was eventually appointed to the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB) in 2011. The board provides independent advice to the State Department regarding arms control and international security.
Fernando’s lack of experience in those fields has raised questions about whether Clinton made the appointment in order to reward a high-dollar donor. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has been dogged by accusations that she has used her positions of power to reward political donors and corporate benefactors.
Fernando’s exchange with Abedin is part of a batch of emails that Citizens United obtained through a lawsuit against the State Department. McClatchy Newspapers first reported on the emails between Fernando and Abedin, who now serves as vice chair of Clinton’s campaign.

Fernando’s tenure on the ISAB came to a swift end after he attended a July 2011 meeting. ABC News began inquiring about an appointment given to a big-time Democratic donor who had no experience in international security issues. Fernando tendered his resignation, claiming that he had to devote time to business in Europe.
In his September 2009 email with Abedin, Fernando relayed details of a conversation he had with Ellen Tauscher, a former congresswoman who then served undersecretary of state for Arms Control and International Security Affairs.
Tauscher said that 25 people were being considered for open spots on the ISAB, whose members included former lawmakers, generals and defense experts.
“They will have their list and Hillary will have hers and at the end of the day as long as they don’t have opposition to any of Hillary’s people, they should get in,” Fernando wrote.
Fernando also sought to assure Abedin that he would be a valuable asset to Clinton.
“I know I will be able to hold my own and be valued contributor to this board,” he wrote. “I promise I will make the Secretary look good.”
He also acknowledged his lack of experience in the field of international security and nonproliferation. But he said that he was studying under two professors to get up to speed on the topics.
“Everybody on that board is a top level defense expert, yet, I feel like I can add a lot to the group,” he wrote Abedin, who now serves as vice chair of Clinton’s campaign. “I have two professors from Northwestern and one from University of Chicago who are international security experts and are getting me up to speed on the academics behind the field.”
Fernando’s appointment to the board was met with skepticism throughout the State Department. And at least one member of Clinton’s inner circle — her communications strategist, Philippe Reines — mocked the choice.
In one 2012 email to Abedin and Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills, Reines wrote that Fernando should “have landed a spot on the President’s Physical Fitness Council” rather than the ISAB.
Other emails obtained by Citizens United earlier this month show that State Department staffers questioned Fernando’s experience for the position. Nevertheless, his application for a “Top Secret” security clearance was fast-tracked so that he could attend a July 2011 board meeting.

Millard points out that Tucker’s words echo loudly today because it’s almost as if he were answering the very objections modern Democrats continue to raise about what the Founders intended when it came to guns. Democrats often argue that they only spoke of muskets, to which Tucker replies “not so fast.” Democrats also complain that England (from where we get much of our legal tradition) has outlawed guns, to which Tucker responds, ‘Tyranny’!
Here’s what Tucker had to say about England’s early attempts at gun control:
In England, the people have been disarmed, generally, under the specious pretext of preserving the game: a never failing lure to bring over the landed aristocracy to support any measure, under that mask, though calculated for very different purposes. True it is, their bill of rights seems at first view to counteract this policy: but the right of bearing arms is confined to protestants, and the words suitable to their condition and degree, have been interpreted to authorize the prohibition of keeping a gun or other engine for the destruction of game, to any farmer, or inferior tradesman, or other person not qualified to kill game. So that not one man in five hundred can keep a gun in his house without being subject to a penalty.
Then over at Reason, Root, further uses Tucker to illustrate that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were written with today’s Democrats in mind (and not in a good way).
James Madison, the primary architect of the new Constitution, took seriously such Anti-Federalist objections. “The great mass of the people who opposed [the Constitution],” Madison told Congress in 1789, “dislike it because it did not contain effectual provision against encroachments on particular rights.” To remove such objections, Madison said, supporters of the Constitution should compromise and agree to include “such amendments in the constitution as will secure those rights, which [the Anti-Federalists] consider as not sufficiently guarded.” Madison then proposed the batch of amendments that would eventually become the Bill of Rights.
What “particular rights” did the Anti-Federalists consider to be “not sufficiently guarded” by the new Constitution? One right that the Anti-Federalists brought up again and again was the individual right to arms.
For example, Anti-Federalists at the New Hampshire ratification convention wanted it made clear that, “Congress shall never disarm any Citizen unless such as are or have been in Actual Rebellion.” Anti-Federalists at the Massachusetts ratification convention wanted the Constitution to “be never construed…to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable, from keeping their own arms.”
Meanwhile, in the Anti-Federalist stronghold of Pennsylvania, critics at that state’s ratification convention wanted the Constitution to declare, “that the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and their own State, or the United States, or for the purpose of killing game; and no law shall be passed for disarming the people or any of them, unless for crimes committed, or real danger of public injury from individuals.”
It seems pretty clear, based on the writing and observations of one of America’s foremost early legal scholars, that the 2nd Amendment was intended to be sacrosanct. In fact, Tucker wasn’t just any old legal scholar… his work, View of the Constitution of the United States, was the very first systematic commentary on the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
