Jihadis have been calling for attacks on Churches and Christians during Christmas. We saw that in Berlin on December 19. Now this.
Three Christians were attacked with a knife on their way to Christmas Mass in Bramois, Switzerland. A fourth victim was found dead, he was a relative of the other three victims.

Christians were attacked with cold steel — always the weapon of Islam — for going to Mass this Sunday morning at Our Lady of Longeborgne, Brumous.[Bramois]
On the social networks, eyewitness reports speak of a knife attack against three faithful of the Hermitage of Longeborgne — one of which was seriously wounded — who were on their way there.
One of them succeeded in crossing the roadblock made by the aggressors, and arrived in Longeborgne with his face covered in blood. He was taken to the hospital as soon as the police arrived. According to the priest, his condition was not worrisome, but another victim was reportedly found by the policemen on the ground and seriously wounded.
“There was no mass, for the faithful were stopped by a person who assaulted them. It was probably a sharp weapon,” said Father Francis, the rector of the Hermitage. One of the wounded was able to reach the holy place and was treated on the spot before being transported by the emergency services. Three people, two women and one man, were stabbed. The latter was seriously injured.

Update Monday 26 December: Police research resulted in the body of a fourth victim, a deceased man, belonging to the same family as the other three victims at 15:30 in the bed of La Borgne.
These Christians were attacked on a holy day celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. We keep hearing that ‘jihad’ means ‘personal struggle’. An alternate meaning is the ‘struggle for Muslims against unbelievers’.
This is jihad. Obama and others of his ilk are so afraid of calling things ‘Islamic terrorism’ when they obviously are. We’re in a war, but we didn’t even have a say in the matter. The Progressives refuse to see that Islamists have declared war on the West in general and especially on Judaism and Christianity.
Obama is called out for not standing with Israel against a horribly biased UN Resolution.
Right outside the White House, at the National Hanukkah Menorah ceremony, Rabbi Levi Shemtov slammed the Obama administration for abandoning the historically close relationship of the US and Israel. He equated the US failing to veto UN Resolution 2334 which condemns Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem to aligning themselves with Israel’s enemies.
East Jerusalem is the site of the holiest site in Judaism, the Temple Mount. The Old City of Jerusalem includes the only existing remnant of the historic and religious site — the Western Wall. The Western Wall came under Isreali control following the Six-Days War of 1967. The 1967 borders are part of the ‘disputed territory’ that many consider a hindrance to ‘Peace in the Middle East’. Historically, however, Jerusalem is an Israeli city and is of great significance to the Jews.
Rabbi Levi Shemtov gave a speech after Obama’s proxy, acting treasury undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence Adam Szubin, spoke of dealing with the ‘darkness’ of terrorism by ‘drowning [it out] with light’.
The Orthodox Jewish rabbi took that speech and turned it around, transforming Obama’s actions into the ‘darkness’ that he said settlement-supporting Jews must fight, The Washington Examiner reported.
Shemtov was motivated by the UN vote held on December 23 that condemned as illegal the settlements created by Israeli citizens in the West Bank.

The UN voted 14-0 in favor of the resolution. The US allowed the measure to pass by abstaining from voting – a major shift in the US’s long-standing policy of backing Israel.
‘Secretary Szubin spoke before of fighting darkness with light,’ said Shemtov, who is also the executive vice president of Orthodox Jewish group American Friends of Lubavitch.
‘I remember those words being spoken to a particular man by the rabbi many many years ago on Simchat Torah,’ he continued, referring to the time of the year in which one reading of the Torah ends and another begins.
‘The rabbi told him: “You are working in a place where there is great grief and darkness, but remember that in that place of darkness, you can only counter it by lighting a candle. By creating light.” ‘That man was Benjamin Netanyahu, and he was at the time the ambassador to the United Nations.’
He continued: ‘So as I know that some of us are so sad at what happened there with regard to Israel, we must remember that the way to counter any darkness, any disappointment is not with harsh rhetoric, not with anger, but when we create light, the darkness dissipates.’

The resolution is an existential threat to Israel.
The anti-Semitism historic shift in mid-East policy under Obama has many wondering if it was the US that initiated the controversial resolution.
On Friday Ben Rhodes, the White House’s deputy national security adviser, dismissed Trump’s objections.
‘Our position is that there is one president at a time,’ he said. ‘President Obama is the president until January 20, and we are taking this action of course as US policy.’
‘We could not in good conscience veto a resolution that expressed concerns about the very trends that are eroding the foundation for a two-state solution.’

The reverberations from Friday’s vote were still being felt in Israel on Friday, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called a meeting with the ambassadors of the ten countries that voted in favor of the resolution, as well as the US ambassador.
A furious Netanyahu even accused Obama of organizing the vote itself, according to NPR.
‘From the information that we have, we have no doubt that the Obama administration initiated it, stood behind it, coordinated on the wording and demanded that it be passed,’he said in Hebrew.
‘Over decades, American administrations and Israeli governments had disagreed about settlements, but we agreed that the Security Council was not the place to resolve this issue.

Melania Trump joined her president-elect husband for midnight mass in Florida wearing a very short mini dress as fellow churchgoers cheered wildly as they arrived.
Trump and his wife kicked off Christmas by attending midnight services at an Episcopal church in Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday night. They were pictured arriving at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea at about 10.30pm. It is the same church where the couple were married in 2005.

The death toll from Chicago gun violence is so high that it is skewing national murder figures, making violence appear more ubiquitous than it actually is.
Breitbart News reported that the death toll in Chicago had already passed 730 for the year by December 6. And the Chicago Tribune reports that the number of murders in Chicago reached 755 by December 21. When these numbers are added to the murder figures of other cities, they raise the overall perception of violence considerably — particularly when it comes to the number of homicides.
According to The Washington Post, the Brennan Center of Justice expects “the homicide rate for the country’s 30 biggest cities… to go up by 14 percent this year.”But that increase does not tell the whole story; namely, that “the killings in Chicago account for an astounding 43.7 percent of this overall increase in [homicides].”
In other words, if year-end numbers do in fact show the anticipated “14 percent” jump in homicides nationally, the deaths in Chicago alone will account for nearly half of that increase.
This means Chicago’s failed gun control experiment is affecting us all by making murder numbers appear higher across the nation than they actually are. These elevated numbers give Democratic politicians an opportunity to claim concealed carry is not effective, to claim more intrusive government policies are necessary to keep us safe, regardless of which city or state we call home.
Baltimore has witnessed approximately 299 homicides year-to-date, and Washington D.C. has witnessed approximately 128. When combined with Chicago, the death numbers in these three Democrat-run, highly gun-controlled cities account for well over 50 percent of the murder spike that will be credited to America’s 30 largest cities.

When we are seeking to better our country and political climate, it is never considered that we might be in danger. We in the West have not had to face political retaliation for many decades. Some countries have been free of political and religious violence for over a century.
Now, with the rise in Islamic terror, there is a new age dawning. We see the end of the desire for free speech. And if the government will not restrict speech some will take it upon themselves to get rid of the unwanted voices.
A van reportedly filled with gas canisters was driven into the Australian Christian Lobby office in Canberra, in what appears to have been a car bombing attack.
Lyle Shelton, the Managing Director of the ACL, posted photos of the burned-out van on Twitter, and offered reassurances that all of his staffers were safe.
“Police contacted me and told me that someone has driven a white van into the carpark of our office and it has been loaded with gas cylinders and then it has been detonated,” Shelton told the Telegraph. He added that none of his staffers were in the building at the time of the explosion.
“We have had the normal trolls on social media and even had death threats sent to our Canberra office over the year but I am very concerned someone would do this,” he said. “It is a relief the building was unoccupied at the time and we are all very thankful our staff are all safe.”
Now, the obvious culprit would be Islamists, but this might be a rush to judgment. Who knows how many groups would like the ACL silenced. Many do not want a Christian influence on their government.
The driver did survive and is being treated. We may soon know what his motive was after all.

Isis has reportedly offered a $1 million reward for the killing of a Kurdish-Danish woman who dropped out of university in 2014 to fight the extremist group in Syria and Iraq.
Joanna Palani, 23, is currently behind bars and facing trial in Copenhagen for leaving the country after a 12-month travel ban imposed in June 2015.

“How can I pose a threat to Denmark and other countries by being a soldier in an official army that Denmark trains and supports directly in the fight against [Isis]?” she posted on Facebook shortly after her passport was confiscated.
Ms Palani’s high profile means she is often the subject of vicious threats both on and offline. The latest offerings of financial reward for her death were made by Isis social media channels in several different languages over the weekend, al-Arabiya reported.
Swastikas and other anti-Semitic graffiti were found all over the Nassau Community College campus. The Media (D) jumped on the story as an example of the hate of ‘Trump Supporters’. They were wrong.
Jasskirat Saini, age 20, admitted that he was responsible for the graffiti because he was feeling ‘bullied’ by members of the Jewish community in his neighborhood.
Nassau Police arrested a man on Tuesday who’s suspected of leaving swastika graffiti around a Long Island college. Police said Jasskirat Saini, 20, of Plainview, is responsible for drawing swastikas several different times at various locations on the campus of Nassau Community College.
The incidents began Oct. 15 when three swastikas were found drawn inside a men’s bathroom. In two more incidents later that month, graffiti was found in additional men’s bathrooms.Swastikas were again found on a stair handrail and on a wall Dec. 7. On Dec. 16, multiple swastikas were found again in a men’s bathroom.
During the investigation Tuesday, Nassau County Police said they found Saini drawing two swastikas on the exterior wall of Building H, and a KKK on the floor of F Building Cluster 225 at Nassau Community College. Saini has been charged with aggravated harassment and will be arraigned on Wednesday in Hempstead.
The charges are connected with 110 anti-Semitic drawings, involving 10 cases at Nassau Community College, said Nassau Acting Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter. Each count is punishable by up to four years in prison.

The swastikas were uncovered by the college’s staff on Oct. 15, 28, 29 and Dec. 2, LeBrun said, adding that the perpetrator could face one to four years in prison on a Class E felony. On Friday evening police responded to NCC yet again after a student found the words “Germany” and “Heil Hitler”drawn with a black marker inside the men’s bathroom of the “E” building, police said.
Although three of the incidents occurred before Nov. 8, the latest discovery has further troubled minority and Jewish groups amid a surge of hate crimes across the country following the election of Donald Trump.
Earlier this week, Nassau police said it is investigating a hate crime in Mineola in which “Make America White Again”—a play on President-elect Donald Trump’s oft-repeated slogan—as well as a racial slur and swastikas were found spray-painted on a Mineola sidewalk…
…“It seems to me that since the election there hasn’t been a day when…I haven’t seen something in the paper,”said Solomon, as he referenced various recent news articles, including one about US Jews struggling with anti-Semitism.
“I think we have to connect the dots here. There are dangerous winds of hate, which are blowing across America,”he added. “And whether it’s under the guise of alt-right or nationalism or Brexit, or whatever you call it, things are happening that are inciting the passions of those people in this country.”
Isn’t that just like the Media (D) to assume that it’s the fault of Trump voters?
Because people weren’t a-holes before the election of Donald Trump.
We’re told that there has been an increase in these incidents of hate since the election.
There has certainly been an increase in incidents of FAKE HATE.
Kwanzaa, celebrated exclusively by white liberals, is a fake holiday invented in 1966 by black radical/FBI stooge, Ron Karenga — aka Dr. Maulana Karenga, founder of United Slaves, the violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers. In the annals of the American ’60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police.
In what was ultimately a foolish gambit, during the madness of the ’60s, the FBI encouraged the most extreme black nationalist organizations in order to discredit and split the left. The more preposterous the group, the better. (It’s the same function Madonna and Martin Sheen serve today.)
By that criterion, Karenga’s United Slaves was perfect.
Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the ’60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. Although some of their most high-profile leaders were drug dealers and murderers, they did not seek armed revolution.
Those were the precepts of Karenga’s United Slaves. The United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented “African” names. (I will not be shooting any Black Panthers next week because I am Kwanzaa-reform, and we are not that observant.)
It’s as if David Duke invented a holiday called “Anglika,” which he based on the philosophy of “Mein Kampf” — and clueless public school teachers began celebrating the made-up, racist holiday.
Whether Karenga was a willing FBI dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear.
In the category of the-gentleman-doth-protest-too-much, back in the ’70s, Karenga was quick to criticize Nigerian newspapers that claimed that certain American black radicals were CIA operatives. Karenga publicly denounced the idea, saying, “Africans must stop generalizing about the loyalties and motives of Afro-Americans, including the widespread suspicion of black Americans being CIA agents.”
In a 1995 interview with Ethnic NewsWatch, Karenga matter-of-factly explained that the forces out to get O.J. Simpson for the “framed”murder of two whites included: “the FBI, the CIA, the State Department, Interpol, the Chicago Police Department”and so on. Karenga should know about FBI infiltration. (He further noted that the evidence against O.J. did not “eliminate unreasonable doubt”— an interesting standard of proof.)
Now we know: The FBI fueled the bloody rivalry between the Panthers and United Slaves. In one barbarous outburst, Karenga’s United Slaves shot two Black Panthers to death on the UCLA campus: Al “Bunchy” Carter and John Huggins. Karenga himself served time, a useful stepping-stone for his current position as a black studies professor at California State University at Long Beach.
(Speaking of which, Rep. Paul Ryan certainly is right about what a fantastic job his mentor Jack Kemp did reaching out to all those “socially conservative” minorities. Look at how California has swung decisively to the right since Kemp started all that outreach stuff. Good luck winning California now, Democrats!)
Back to the esteemed Cal State professor: Karenga’s invented holiday is a nutty blend of schmaltzy ’60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism. The seven principles of Kwanzaa are the very same seven principles of the Symbionese Liberation Army, another invention of The Worst Generation.
In 1974, Patty Hearst, kidnap victim-cum-SLA revolutionary, posed next to the banner of her alleged captors, a seven-headed cobra. Each snakehead stood for one of the SLA’s revolutionary principles: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani. These are the exact same seven “principles” of Kwanzaa.
Kwanzaa praises collectivism in every possible area of life — economics, work, personality, even litter removal. (“Kuumba: Everyone should strive to improve the community and make it more beautiful.”) It takes a village to raise a police snitch. When Karenga was asked to distinguish Kawaida, the philosophy underlying Kwanzaa, from “classical Marxism,” he essentially said that, under Kawaida, we also hate whites.
(And here’s something interesting: Kawaida, Kwanzaa and Kuumba are also the only three Kardashian sisters not to have their own shows on the E! network.)
While taking the “best of early Chinese and Cuban socialism” — excluding, one hopes, the mass murder, forced abortions, imprisonment of homosexuals and forced labor — Karenga said Kawaida practitioners believe one’s racial identity “determines life conditions, life chances and self-understanding.”
There’s an inclusive philosophy for you!
Kwanzaa was the result of a ’60s psychosis grafted onto the black community. Liberals have become so mesmerized by multicultural gibberish that they have forgotten the real history of Kwanzaa and Karenga’s United Slaves — the violence, the Marxism, the insanity.
Most absurdly, for leftists anyway, they have forgotten the FBI’s tacit encouragement of this murderous black nationalist cult founded by the father of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa emerged not from Africa, but from the FBI’s COINTELPRO.

Taliban Video Shows Kidnapped U.S.-Canadian Family / YouTube
A new video from the Taliban features Canadian Joshua Boyle and his American wife Caitlan Coleman, who were kidnapped while hiking through Afghanistan in 2012. The video also includes two young boys who are apparently their children, born during their captivity. Coleman was seven months pregnant at the time of her capture.
“We understand both sides hate us and are content to leave us and our two surviving children in these problems,”Coleman says in the video, as reported by Reuters. “But we can only ask and pray that somebody will recognize the atrocities these men carry out against us as so-called retaliation in their ingratitude and hypocrisy.”
“My children have seen their mother defiled,”she added ominously, as the children sat in Boyle’s lap. Also ominous: she referred to the boys as her “surviving children.”
“They want money, power, friends. You must give them these things before progress can be made,”she said of her captors in the Haqqani Network, a notorious hostage-taking criminal gang allied with the Taliban. Reuters explains that the “friends” she referred to are three senior Haqqani members held by the Afghan government.
The UK Daily Mailadds that Boyle said his captors are “frightened by the idea of further execution” of Taliban and Haqqani prisoners by the government in Kabul.
“Because of their fear they are willing to kill us, willing to kill women, to kill children, to kill whomever, in order to get these policies reversed or take revenge,”Boyle said in the video.
Coleman then buttressed her husband’s remarks by pleading, “I ask if my government can do anything to change the policies of the Afghan government to stop their policy of executing men before these men start executing their prisoners.”
At another point in the video, she more explicitly states that the Haqqanis will “retaliate against our family,” “do us harm,” and “punish us” if their demands are not met.
“We have waited since 2012 for somebody to understand our problems. We can only ask and pray that somebody will recognize the atrocities these men carry out against us as so-called retaliation in their ingratitude and hypocrisy,”Coleman said, evidently reading from a script, as the UK Guardiannotes.

The New York Timesquotes Coleman appealing directly to President Obama for help before he leaves office: “Please don’t become the next Jimmy Carter. Just give the offenders something so they and you can save face, so we can leave the region permanently.”
As the Daily Mail notes, Coleman is wearing a burka in the video, with the veil pulled back to expose her face. Boyle is described as “pale and tired.” Coleman was forced to wear a burka in previous hostage videos, while her mother also donned a Muslim headscarf in a video appeal for her daughter’s release sent by the family to Taliban leaders last year.
Taliban officials confirmed the authenticity of the video, which they said was recorded several months ago. (Coleman specifically states it is December 3rd at the beginning of the tape, but that might not be accurate.) It was delivered to U.S. and Canadian authorities, as well as uploaded to YouTube for public display on Monday night after one of the Haqqani prisoners was sentenced to death.
According to the Daily Mail, the Canadian government almost had a deal for Boyle’s release in place, but he refused to leave Coleman and the children.The New York Times speculates efforts to secure the couple’s release were harmed by the U.S. drone-strike killing of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour in May.
“Certainly when Americans are taken captive, this becomes an immediate priority for us. We are paying extraordinarily close attention to that. We always do. I won’t get into too many details with that. But I am satisfied that we are doing everything we can at this juncture to understand who took them and try to bring them back,” said U.S. Army General Joseph Votel, head of Central Command, at a Pentagon briefing on Tuesday.
“We are deeply concerned for the safety and wellbeing of Joshua Boyle, Caitlan Coleman and their young children and call for their unconditional release,”said Canadian Department of Global Affairs spokesman Michael O’Shaughnessy.
The Guardian notes that the U.S. State Department “did not respond to a request for comment.”
As for why a man and his pregnant wife would be backpacking through Afghanistan in 2012, the Daily Mail quotes some relatives describing them as “well-intentioned but naive adventure seekers.”They had already trekked through Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan before arriving in Afghanistan.

Department of Energy (DOE) officials withheld information from Congress to advance President Barack Obama’s Climate Action Plan and fired an employee who honestly and thoroughly answered legislative staff’s questions, a congressional committee investigation found.
DOE officials, including Noelle Metting, met with staff from the House Science, Space and Technology and Senate Energy and Natural Resources committees in October 2014 to discuss pending legislation the agency opposed. DOE wanted to suppress information to kill support for the bill, science committee Republicans revealed in a report Tuesday.
Metting was later fired because she “refused to conform to [DOE management’s] predetermined remarks” and provided “candid and complete information” in response to the committees’ questions, the report said.
“Instead of providing the type of scientific information needed by Congress to legislate effectively, senior departmental officials sought to hide information, lobbied against legislation, and retaliated against a scientist for being forthcoming,”Science, Space and Technology committee Chairman Lamar Smith, a Texas Republican, said in a statement.
The report added: “The DOE’s actions constitute a reckless and calculated attack on the legislative process itself, which undermines the power of Congress to legislate,”the report continued. “DOE’s disregard for separation of powers is … an institutional problem that must be corrected …”
The October 2014 briefing regarded DOE’s Low Dose Radiation Research Program (LDRRP), which studies how small radiation exposures effect humans. Its research assists in the medical field and plays a role in forming evacuation plans in the event a terrorist detonates a radioactive dirty bomb.
The briefing was intended to help lawmakers make an informed decision about pending legislation that would codify the LDRRP program in statute and require a report concerning low-dose radiation’s effects.
But DOE management opposed the legislation — instead preferring to close the program to focus on Obama’s Climate Action Plan — and used the opportunity to lobby against the bill, according to the science committee’s report. That decision allegedly violates the Anti-Lobbying Act.
The agency could reroute funding to programs related to the Climate Action Plan by closing LDRRP.
“DOE placed its own priorities to further the president’s Climate Action Plan before its constitutional obligations to be candid with Congress,”the report continued.
Metting’s immediate supervisor, Todd Anderson, was intended to lead the briefing, since he “may be better at staying on message,”Julie Carruthers, a DOE senior technical advisor, said in an email.
Similarly, Anderson needed “to brief the Senate folks so they don’t develop their own bill,” Sharlene Weatherwax, a DOE associate director, wrote in an email to Anderson.
“DOE management developed a scheme to withhold information from congressional staff,”the report said. “Dr. Metting was directed to omit information from a presentation to congressional staff given during the briefing.”
DOE managers also wanted to “muzzle”Metting — then-LDRRP’s program manager, the report said. “Prohibiting federal employees from providing information and communications with Congress is also a violation of the Anti-Lobbying Act.”
Regardless, Metting provided “too much information in response to questions from committee staff”that “provided supportive evidence to continue the LDRRP,”so management “retaliated against Dr. Metting,”the report said.
The investigation was spurred after Metting and her attorneys contacted the committee in late 2015 and provided an account of the events that followed the October 2014 briefing. The committee then obtained DOE documents and communications regarding LDRRP.
DOE has since reinstated Metting after she took legal action, a committee aide said in a press briefing.

The mother, wearing a burka, is seen hugging and kissing her daughters before she sends them off to become suicide bombers.
Syrian journalists have reported the two adults as being husband and wife and parents to the two girls. They also linked one of the youngsters to the explosion on Friday.
In one video, the mother repeatedly hugs the seven-year-old, named as Islam, and the older girl, named as Fatima.
A man behind the camera asks the woman why she is sending her daughters to jihad when they are so young.
She replies that ‘no one is young when it comes to jihad as every Muslim is supposed to participate in jihad.’
He then prays for Allah to accept the sacrifice the woman is making
In the second video the man believed to be the father asks one of the girls what she is ‘going to do today’before she replies that she is going to carry out a suicide bombing in Damascus.
In an apparent reference to the bus evacuation of rebel fighters and residents from Aleppo last week, the man asks one of the children: ‘Shouldn’t you leave fighting to the men? Or did all of them flee in the green buses?’.
He later adds: ‘You are not going to be afraid because you are going to the Heavens, right?’.
The girl on the left replies simply: ‘Yes’.

We now know that her name was Islam. This is the ‘Religion of Peace’ that we are told about. This doesn’t look like peace.
How much hate do you have to have to send your own children to the slaughter in order to wage ‘war’?
This is unconscionable.
It’s so far beyond the comprehension of Western values. To have the parents hold these views and send their children to die for their cause… that’s just deplorable.

Thanks to the election of Donald Trump, most Christians in America are feeling really good about the future, but it is another story entirely in much of the rest of the world. A Christian persecution watchdog group called Aid to the Church in Need released its “Religious Freedom in the World” report for 2016 a few weeks ago, and their conclusion was that the persecution of Christians globally is becoming much worse. In fact, there are seven nations where persecution is so bad that they were put into the “it could scarcely get any worse” category. Those nations included Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Syria.

Personally, I would put North Korea at the very top of the list. If you are even suspected of being a Christian or owning a Bible, you and your entire extended family can be shipped off to a forced labor camp for the rest of your lives. There are brothers and sisters in North Korea that are literally being worked until they die, and we need to keep them in our prayers.
But I definitely don’t want to take anything away from the brutal persecution that is taking place in the Middle East. The beheading, torturing and crucifying of Christians by ISIS has been well documented, and it isn’t just in Iraq and Syria where attacks are taking place.
Earlier this month, an ISIS suicide bomber walked into a prominent Coptic Christian church in Cairo, Egypt and detonated his bomb. As a result, 25 Coptic Christians were killed…
During Mass this past Sunday, an Islamic State suicide bomber made his way inside St. Peter and St. Paul’s Coptic Church in Cairo and detonated his bomb, leaving 25 people, mostly women, dead. The bombing, the deadliest since the 2010 New Year’s Eve bombing of the Two Saints Church in Alexandria, drew swift condemnations from governments around the world. But as much as such attacks remind the world of the plight of Copts, it is their daily encounter with discrimination and persecution that poses the greatest threat to their future.
But did you hear about this from the big mainstream news networks in the United States? Probably not, because an Islamic terror attack against a Christian target is not the kind of story that they want to tell.
Could you imagine knowing that every Sunday that you attend church could potentially be your last Sunday? But it isn’t just violence that Coptic Christians in Egypt have to deal with. The truth is that they are systematically discriminated against in every area of society, and this even includes sports…
Little could dampen the enthusiasm of 13-year-old Tony Atef as he wore his soccer outfit and headed to Egypt’s most successful club, Al Ahly, to partake in the team’s junior soccer tryouts. After Tony scored two goals, a coach approached him, asking for his name to record among those accepted. But his dream of making the team died quickly, when the coach noticed the small tattoo of a cross on his wrist. Tony was quickly sent home. There would be no place for a Coptic Christian on an Egyptian soccer team.
According to a Pew Report that was released in 2014, Christians are being persecuted in 151 different countries. So this is not just a Middle Eastern thing. But without a doubt, what we have been witnessing in the Middle East in recent years is the genocide of Christians in many areas.
When the 20th century began, 25 percent of the population of the Middle East was Christian. Today, that number has dropped to about 5 percent.
And even the Islamic nations that are supposedly “friendly” with the western world are cracking down on Christians. For example, an American pastor named Andrew Brunson was just unjustly thrown into prison in Turkey. The following comes from Jordan Sekulow of the ACLJ…
An American pastor, Andrew Brunson, has been falsely charged with “membership in an armed terrorist organization.” Turkey has imprisoned this American pastor without any evidence. He has been a Christian pastor in Turkey for the past 23 years.
We are representing the family of this American Pastor who is facing grave danger in a Turkish prison where he is being held simply because of his Christian beliefs. The government of Turkey – led by an Islamic party – has begun increased crackdowns on Christians, and Pastor Andrew, if convicted, may face years in prison based on extremely serious – and false – charges. We are launching a global campaign to call attention to his plight demanding that Turkey – a NATO member – release Pastor Andrew without delay.
As has been the case with so many other American Christians that have gotten into trouble, Barack Obama has been silent on this matter.
But how would he have responded if it had been a gay rights activist that had been falsely imprisoned?
And it took Barack Obama a very long time to take the fight against ISIS seriously. Entire Christian communities were being absolutely butchered by ISIS, but he didn’t seem to care. Now that ISIS is finally being pushed back, the fleeing ISIS fighters are making sure that the Christians that once lived in those communities have nothing to come back to…
In Christian settlements like Bartella, Qaraqosh and Karamles, about 80 per cent of the houses have been either completely destroyed by Coalition bombs or burned out and rendered uninhabitable by ISIS. One volunteer assessed the damage in Qaraqosh: “In most houses, all the rooms have been burned out completely,” he said. “Except, strangely enough, the kitchens. It is clear this has been an organised strategy.”
Father Thabet, a priest from Karamles, said the destruction in some cases was done only hours before ISIS forces left. “It seems they wanted to make sure nothing of value would remain,” he said. “The effect is a mounting feeling of hopelessness among the Christians when they discover the damage. They will really need time to recover from this news, to adjust to the new perspective of living in displacement longer than they might have expected.”
If you live in the western world and you have a good job and a warm home and plenty of food, you should consider yourself to be very blessed. Because for believers in much of the rest of the world life is a daily struggle, and they must constantly wrestle with the reality that they may soon have to lay down their lives for their faith.

Just what my wife and I wanted to see on the front cover of National Geographic magazine after we got our 8-year-old grandson a subscription, a 9-year-old-boy who believes he’s really a girl. My wife called the subscription office of National Geographic on Saturday and canceled the subscription and found out that others have been doing the same.
“As part of its January 2017 issue exploring our evolving understandings and definitions of gender, National Geographic is featuring nine-year-old transgender rights activist Avery Jackson on its cover—the first time a trans person has made the cover of the magazine.

“‘When I was born, doctors said I was a boy, but I knew in my heart I was a girl,’ Jackson explained in her first video. ‘So I may have some boy body parts, but that’s not wrong, that is OK.’”
This boy did not make the cover of the magazine. National Geographic chose to put him on the cover as sexual exploitation. This boy is no more a girl than I am a woman, and anyone who says otherwise is morally corrupt. Today’s defenders of this type of sexual insanity, in the words of Daniel Patrick Moynihan, “defined deviancy down”1 so that what was morally shocking twenty years ago is acceptable and promoted as an enlightened form of morality. Robert Bork explains the phenomenon:
“Emile Durkheim, a founder of sociology, posited that there is a limit to the amount of deviant behavior any community can ‘afford to recognize.’ As behavior worsens, the community adjusts its standards so that conduct once thought reprehensible is no longer deemed so.”2
At the same time, these same moral misfits are defining their own brand of moral deviancy up. What was considered morally normal thirty years ago – two parents of the opposite sex married and living together, participation in the Boy Scouts and being protected from homosexual predators, rejecting a pro-death culture, and stay-at-home moms – is now
“portrayed as oppressive and shot through with pathologies, ‘As part of the vast social project of moral leveling,’[Charles] Krauthammer wrote, ‘it is not enough for the deviant to be normalized. The normal must be found to be deviant.’ This situation is thoroughly perverse. Underclass values become increasingly acceptable to the middle class, especially their young, and middle-class values become increasingly contemptible to the cultural elites.”3
This type of moral deviancy has infected the mind of a nine-year-old boy who fancies himself to be a “transgender rights activist.” Instead of debunking the falsity of the claim, the folks at National Geographic promote it as some kind of moral high ground.
Avery Jackson knew in his heart he was a girl? Give me a break. He knows no such thing. This kid is confused, and his parents, the LGBT propagandists, and the editors at National Geographic are enabling and legitimizing a form of sexual abuse.
National Geographic used to have a good reputation for reporting on nature, history, and science. Do you recall this scene from It’s a Wonderful Life?
National Geographic is now plumbing the depths of pseudoscience. None of this nonsense should surprise us given the fact that fake news and fake science have been the modus operandi of the Left for decades – everything from evolution and abortion to the claim that the climate is warming/changing because of humans and cow farts.
If this type of propaganda is promoted as the new morality, how many second and third graders might come to believe they are not what their obvious sex organs tell them they are? Could a child call the local government child protective agencies and claim that he or she is being abused because his or her parents won’t allow him or her be what he or she really is? What if a boy confides in a teacher that he’s really a girl, but his parents won’t allow him to be and dress as a girl?
Will the State intervene and take the child away to ensure that the “appropriate”steps are taken to accommodate the child’s “true gender”?Maybe the child is taken from his parents and placed in a safe “transgender family”environment. Will sex reassignment surgery be performed against the will of the parents to mollify the sexual confusion of the child?
What happens when this nine-year-old boy comes to his senses that he really is a boy but now his “parts” are missing?

During this Christmas week, I hope you will stop long enough to consider what happened in that little town of Bethlehem.

This is Christmas week, and I thought it might be worthwhile to spend a moment to reflect on the words to the hymn, O Little Town of Bethlehem. It was written in 1867 by Phillips Brooks (an Episcopal pastor from Philadelphia). He had been in Israel two years earlier and had celebrated Christmas in Bethlehem. He wrote this song to reflect on what the night of the birth of Jesus might have been like.
O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light; The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
While the streets of our cities are quiet on Christmas day, most likely that day was just like any other day for the people in Bethlehem. But as evening came, the town grew quiet and something remarkable took place.
In the second verse the hymn says, “While mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wondering love.”This is just like today. Our world goes about its business, usually oblivious to the spiritual realities around it.
Jesus came into the world quietly. Yes, there was the angelic announcement to the shepherds, but most other people were unaware of the fact that the most significant event in history was taking place. God became a man. But He was born in a stable and laid in a feeding trough. There was no pomp or circumstance as you would expect of a King.
Jesus came not only to live among us but to ultimately die for our sins. He took upon Himself the sins of the world (your sins and my sins) and paid the ultimate penalty that we deserved to pay that we might have everlasting life.
During this Christmas week, I hope you will stop long enough to consider what happened in that little town of Bethlehem. But even more so, I hope you will think about what Jesus did for you at Calvary.

Judge Jeanine: Since when does hope rise and fall with you and Barack in the White House?… But I get it. For you hope is gone. You and your family and friends won’t be able to fly to another 46 countries with security and hair and makeup in tow. Michelle you may not realize it but Americans rejected you and everything you stand for. They know what hope is. Hope is when people, 30,000 at a time stand in line, in the cold, with their children, hoping to get a glimpse of the man that they think can change the course of their lives from the downward spiral that you and Mr. Hope and Change have put them on.
The Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, has been shot while speaking at an art exhibit in the Turkish capital of Ankara.
Hurriyet quotes the Russian embassy saying it believes “radical Islamists” were behind the attack, and notes that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu is due in Moscow tomorrow for talks on the Syrian crisis with Russia and Iran.

Update, 11:40 EST: Russia’s TASS news agency reports the exhibit Karlov was speaking at was a photo exhibit called “Russia in the Eyes of Turks.”The perpetrator is said to have fired shots in the air and shouted “Get out!”at the crowd.
Hurriyet Daily News had a reporter on the scene who confirmed the crowd ran after the gunman fired in the air, then Karlov was shot.
Update, 11:45 EST: According to Ragip Soylu, a reporter for the generally pro-Erdogan Daily Sabah, the attacker bypassed security by showing a police ID badge, and shouted something about Aleppo and Syria before he opened fire. More specifically, he is said to have shouted, “We die in Aleppo, you die here.”
Soylu also reports Karlov was shot “four or five times.” He has posted a photo that may be of the attacker, although noting this has not been confirmed by the authorities as yet:

Update, 11:55 EST: An Associated Press photographer who was in the auidence reports the gunman shouted “Allahu akbar!” before opening fire, as well as saying something in Russian, and fired at least eight shots. Karlow was several minutes into his prepared remarks before the attack began.
Turkish media is reporting that the gunman has been neutralized. CNN Turk is reporting that special forces entered the building and ended a “brief hostage situation.”

Although the identity of the shooter has not been confirmed at the time of this writing, there have been claims he really was a plainclothes policeman, and possibly even a member of the Ambassador’s security detail.
Update, 12:20 EST: Russian President Vladimir Putin is meeting with his Foreign Minister and the heads of Russian security services about the attack. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said the Russians were in contact with Turkish authorities.
Hurriyet Daily News has updated its report to quote the attacker shouting to the crowd, “I will not leave here alive, do not approach me.”

Update, 12:45 EST: Turkish media are reporting that the gunman has been identified as 22-year-old Mevlut Mert Altintas, a serving police officer in the Ankara special operations unit.
His cries during the assassination have been translated, according to a report at Business Insider. At first, he shouted in Arabic: “We’ve made an oath to Mohammed to die in martyrdom, [it is] revenge for Syria and Aleppo.”
Altintas then switched to Turkish and shouted, “Don’t forget Aleppo. Don’t forget Syria… You won’t be safe. Only my dead body will leave here.”
He was described as speaking Turkish with an “educated, Istanbul accent” with “no trace of foreign accent, Arab or otherwise.”

Update, 13:15 EST: The BBC quotes Turkish security sources who confirmed the assassin was a police officer, but they claimed he was off-duty when he attacked.
“We condemn this act of violence, whatever its source. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family,”said U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby, while U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power took to Twitter to “strongly condemn the savage attack.”
“I condemn in the strongest terms the heinous attack on Ambassador Karlov tonight,”said the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, John Bass.
“Shocked to hear of despicable murder of Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey. My thoughts are with his family. I condemn this cowardly attack,”said British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.
Update, 13:20 EST: According to a report from Turkey’s Andalou Agency, Andrey Gennadyevich Karlov was born in Moscow in 1954. He graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1976, and then from the Diplomatic Academy in 1992. He has been Russia’s ambassador to Turkey since July 2013. He was married, and has a son.
Update, 13:30 EST: A reporter for Russia Today offers a different account of the jihadi’s status with the Turkish police than what we’ve been hearing until now:
RT.com also reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin by telephone after the assassination.

Update, 13:45 EST: Statement from the Turkish embassy in Russia, as related by Russia’s TASS news agency: “An inhumane tragedy occurred today with our distinguished colleague Andrey Karlov. There is no person in their right mind who would not condemn this evil act. We grieve with all our hearts. We bring our deepest condolences to the people of Russia. This is our shared pain and loss.”

Update, 13:50 EST: According to Middle East Monitor, Ambassador Karlov “had been part of discussions between Turkey that led to an evacuation of east Aleppo getting underway late last week.”
Social media accounts linked to ISIS and al-Qaeda are reportedly celebrating the assassination, even though neither organization has formally claimed Altintas as a member.
Update, 14:05 EST: Statement from National Security Council spokesman Ned Price at the White House on the assassination in Ankara:
“The United States condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack this morning in Kayseri, Turkey, which killed more than a dozen people and wounded many more. This cowardly attack appears to have targeted off-duty Turkish soldiers who were traveling on a public transit bus that was also transporting civilians. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, their families and loved ones, and to all the people of Turkey. As President Obama told President Erdogan in their phone call on December 15, we stand united with Turkey, our NATO Ally, in our determination to confront and defeat all forms of terrorism.”
Update, 14:30 EST: There have been some accusations in Turkey that Altintas carried out his attack at the behest of Fethullah Gulen, the exiled cleric currently living in Pennsylvania who has been accused of masterminding the July coup attempt against President Erdogan. Turkey has been pressing the United States to extradite Gulen.
Perhaps the most prominent voice to openly accuse Gulen of involvement in the Karlov assassination thus far is Melih Gokcek, the mayor of Ankara.
“Russian Ambassador to Turkey got attacked basely. The only goal of this assassination is to ruin the relationship between Russia and Turkey,”Gokcek said on Twitter, as related by the UK Express. “Turkish and Russian officials will definitely find whoever responsible from this attack. But it is for sure, the ones who were responsible for downing of Russian Jet in the past, are responsible for this attack as well.”
This was a reference to the downing of a Russian warplane along Turkey’s border with Syria last November. Erdogan has accused the Turkish pilots who shot down the Russian plane of being linked to Gulen’s organization.
“Assailant is a policeman. According to what I have heard, he is a FETO member. The slogans of the assailant are just perception management,”Gokcek added. FETO stands for “Fethullah Terrorist Organization,”the Turkish government’s name for Fethullah Gulen’s followers.
The Express notes that Gokcek has a history of floating conspiracy theories, including an accusation that the British BBC news service was complicit in the terrorist bombing of Istanbul earlier this month. However, he’s not the only source for the theory that Altintas was a Gulenist.
Update, 14:45 EST: The mother and sister of gunman Mevlut Mert Altintas have reportedly been detained in the southwestern province of Aydin. Another report from Turkey says Altintas’ home has been searched, and his roommate has also been detained, as well as his father.
Update, 16:15 EST: Reuters quotes a senior security official in Turkey who said there are “very strong signs” the gunman belonged to Gulen’s organization.
A group of Muslim terrorists (that may be connected to the villains at ISIS) mounted a siege at a popular tourist attraction in the Jordanian city of Karak.
The group of armed men attacked an ancient castle that was used by Christian Crusaders more than 1,000 years ago. The evil jihadists killed five police officers and four civilians, including a visiting Canadian tourist. Along with the 9 dead, some 30 others were taken to the hospital to have their injuries tended to.
According to reports police responding to fake reports of a house fire in the city were ambushed by the group of gunmen, who opened fire on them as they entered the property.
After two officers were wounded the gang fled by car and attacked another security patrol, but nobody was injured in that skirmish.
They then fled to Karak castle, where they holed up and took the terrified tourists hostages…

The outgoing chairman of the Republican National Committee and incoming White House chief of staff often joins Trump when he interviews candidates for his Cabinet in his cozy Trump Tower office. He accompanies Trump at high-level meetings, like their well-publicized dinner with Mitt Romney.
And he frequently makes jaunts with the president-elect in Trump’s jet, from a victory rally in Priebus’s native Wisconsin to a recent Army-Navy football game.
The consummate D.C. insider, Priebus has not just emerged as Trump’s public liaison to a still-skeptical GOP establishment; the 44-year-old political operative has also become a trusted adviser to and staunch defender of the president-elect, even as he competes for power and influence with rivals like Stephen Bannon and Kellyanne Conway, who were with Trump from the beginning.

Those who have been in the room with both Trump and Priebus say they wouldn’t describe Priebus as deferential to his new boss. In fact, Priebus appears at ease with Trump. He doesn’t hesitate to interject and offer his opinion, and the two often banter back and forth.
“Trump and Reince have a tremendous rapport with each other,”said Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), who observed the two men interact with each other at Trump Tower during his interview for Energy secretary this month.
“Trump’s respect for Reince is very obvious. Reince was never disrespectful, but he never hesitated to jump right in. I was impressed.”
The Wisconsin Republican’s first month as Trump’s chief of staff has been marked by successes, and a few setbacks. Priebus failed to convince Trump that one of his most vocal critics during the campaign, 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney, should head the State Department.
But Priebus successfully lobbied Trump to name Romney’s niece, Michigan Republican Party Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, to succeed Priebus as head of the RNC. Some inside Trump Tower had pushed for an outsider — in the mold of Trump — to lead the massive organization.
If RNC chief strategist and spokesman Sean Spicer wins the job of White House press secretary, that would also be viewed as a victory for Priebus. Spicer is just one of a handful of top RNC staffers Priebus is hoping to bring to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. next month.
Leading the RNC during the campaign, Priebus repeatedly demonstrated his ability to broker a peace between the volatile Trump and the GOP establishment, which usually had the knives out for the Manhattan real estate mogul and reality TV star.
More than a year ago, Priebus made the trek from Washington to Trump Tower to personally plea with the candidate to sign a loyalty pledge that he’d back the GOP’s presidential nominee — a bid to head off the potential threat of Trump launching an independent bid for the White House.
When Trump floated a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. a few months later, Priebus said he disagreed but didn’t throw Trump under the bus. And when Trump’s now-infamous “Access Hollywood” tape surfaced and his candidacy appeared on the verge of collapse weeks before Election Day, it was Priebus who fended off calls by party leaders to dump Trump, arguing that doing so would be harmful to down-ballot candidates and put GOP control of Congress at risk.
At times, Priebus has privately grumbled about the constant stream of headaches involved with keeping Trump in line. But overall, he’s been a steadfast and loyal defender of the president-elect.
“Priebus took the lemons and turned it into lemonade,”said one RNC member who has worked with Priebus for years. “Reince Priebus protected Trump from the wrath of the Republican establishment so many times. I’m not sure Trump knew that then; he certainly knows it now.”
Perhaps above all else, Trump values loyalty. And just day after the election, he offered Priebus the chief of staff job — a move that was cheered by Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), a close friend of the RNC chair, and others in the establishment wing of the party.
His appointment, the RNC member explained, gives thousands of establishment Republicans “a connection to the White House.” And Priebus’s proximity to Trump has given many Republicans on Capitol Hill and around Washington reassurances as an unpredictable political newcomer prepares to be sworn in as commander in chief.
“Reince has been instrumental in working with Congressional leaders on our shared legislative priorities for early next year. He is universally trusted and respected on Capitol Hill,”House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who frequently speaks with both Trump and Priebus, said in a statement.
Added Matt Moore, the chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party: “Reince Priebus is the ultimate team player. He could have written his ticket in Washington following the presidential election, but instead chose to serve the country and Mr. Trump.”
On Friday, Priebus traveled to the White House and huddled with an exclusive club: White House chiefs of staff past and present, a group that included President Obama’s five chiefs and John Podesta, President Bill Clinton‘s chief who went on to chair Hillary Clinton‘s failed 2016 presidential campaign.
But while he may belong to the political elite that Trump railed on and ran against this past year, Priebus is already signaling that he’ll help his boss shake things up while running the White House.
Priebus shocked the D.C. press corps last week, suggesting the Trump White House may change the format of the daily press briefing and rearrange the seating chart in the James Brady Press Briefing Room.
“The traditions, while some of them are great, I think it’s time to revisit a lot of these things that have been done in the White House,”Priebus said during an interview with conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt.
“And I can assure you that change is going to happen.”
As much as we don’t want to admit it, Hillary did win 2.8 million more votes than Trump. But when you break down those votes, it’s clear to see why we have the Electoral College. All those votes were contained in one state.ONE STATE.If we decided elections based on popular vote, we would have the president California wants. All. The. Time. Maybe now liberals will understand the importance of the Electoral College…..probably not, though.
Hillary’s margin of victory in that state was 4.3 million votes – or 61.5 percent
And therein lies the rub.
The purpose of the Electoral College is to prevent regional candidates from dominating national elections.
California is now a one-party state. There were zero Republicans running for statewide office and no GOP candidates in nine of California’s congressional districts. At the state level, Investor’s Business Daily reports, six districts had no Republicans for the state senate and 16 districts had no Republicans for the state assembly.
Clinton was going to win California’s 55 electoral votes, so Trump didn’t campaign there. If you take California out of the total, Donald Trump won the popular vote by 1.4 million.

Left-leaning PolitiFact is on the newly revealed list of “fact checking”organizations Facebook will reportedly use to label “fake news” stories as they appear on the social media platform. “We’ll use the reports from our community, along with other signals, to send stories to these organizations,”Facebook VP Adam Mosseri wrote in the Facebook news blog. “If the fact checking organizations identify a story as fake, it will get flagged as disputed and there will be a link to the corresponding article explaining why
Facebook’s decision to tout PolitiFact as a credible and independent fact checker is awfully disturbing, given the organization’s repeated smear campaign against Donald Trump throughout the 2016 election. Facebook’s “fake news” flaggers, Politifact, et al., have a history of showing sympathy for left-wing narratives. Time and again PolitiFact published stories that favored Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, while promoting “fact checks” meant to rebut or embarrass Republicans.
Below is a list of the many instances proving why Politifact is completely unqualified to be an objective judge of what’s real and “fake” news.
1. Last March, PolitiFact delivered a “mostly false” rating for a joke made by Republican Senator Ted Cruz.
2. Last April, PolitiFact made phone calls and sent a reporter to investigate whether Governor Scott Walker actually “paid one dollar for” a sweater he bought at Kohl’s. PolitiFact later ruled Walker’s claim “true.”
3. When Trump said Clinton wants “open borders,”PolitiFact deemed his statement “mostly false” — despite the fact that Clinton admitted as much in a private, paid speech to a Brazilian bank on May 16, 2013. “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders,”she said at the time.
4. PolitiFact cast doubts on comments Pat Smith made during her emotional speech at the Republican National Convention, where she said Hillary Clinton said “a video was responsible” for her son’s death during the terror attacks in Benghazi. Smith was referring to when she “saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony,”and then-Secretary of State Clinton “looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible.”
But PolitiFact, taking an oddly defensive stance, said Smith’s memory could’ve been “fuzzy”and referred its readers, instead, to a “brief meeting behind closed doors” where Clinton addressed the families of the victims of the attack.
5. Despite video evidence to the contrary, PolitiFact claimed Hillary Clinton didn’t laugh about Kathy Shelton’s rape as a child. Trump invited Shelton to the second presidential debate and called out Clinton’s embarrassing behavior.
Again, moving to dismiss and downplay Clinton’s actions, PolitiFact wrote: “Trump is referring to an audio tape in which she does respond with amusement at her recollections of the oddities of the case, which involve the prosecution and the judge. At no point does she laugh at the victim.”
6. In an attempt to explain Hillary Clinton’s role in the sale of 25 percent of the United States’ uranium stockpile, Politifact ignored numerous key facts, downplayed other key facts, and ultimately made 13 errors in its analysis.
7. A few months later, PolitiFact was, again, attempting to whitewash Clinton’s role in the Russian uranium deal. Like PolitiFact’s first foray into the subject, the second report commits many factual errors and is full of glaring inaccuracies and omissions.
8. During a televised campaign event, Clinton said Australia’s compulsory gun buyback program “would be worth considering” in the U.S. When the National Rifle Association included Clinton’s comments on one of its flyers, PolitiFact ruled the organization’s claim “mostly false.”

9. While Politifact admitted that Trump’s claim that Russia’s arsenal of nuclear warheads has expanded and the U.S.’s has not, the left-wing outfit deemed Trump’s statement “half true.”

TEL AVIV — The organization partnered with Facebook to help determine whether a certain story is “disputed” is financed by billionaire George Soros and a slew of other left-wing funders.
The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) drafted a code of five principles for news websites to accept, and Facebook yesterday announced it will work with “third-party fact checking organizations”that are signatories to the code of principles.
Facebook says that if the “fact checking organizations” determine that a certain story is fake, it will get flagged as disputed and, according to the Facebook announcement, “there will be a link to the corresponding article explaining why. Stories that have been disputed may also appear lower in News Feed.”
IFCN is hosted by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. A cursory search of the Poynter Institute website finds that Poynter’s IFCN is openly funded by Soros’ Open Society Foundations as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, and the National Endowment for Democracy.
Poynter’s IFCN is also funded by the Omidyar Network, which is the nonprofit for liberal billionaire eBay founder Pierre Omidyar. The Omidyar Network has partnered with the Open Society on numerous projects and it has given grants to third parties using the Soros-funded Tides Foundation. Tides is one of the largest donors to left-wing causes in the U.S.
Another significant Poynter Institute donor is the Craig Newmark Foundation, the charitable organization established by Craigslist Founder Craig Newmark. On Monday, just days before the announcement of the Facebook partnership, Poynter issued a press release revealing that Newmark donated $1 million to the group to fund a faculty chair in journalism ethics.
States the press release:
The gift will support a five-year program at Poynter that focuses on verification, fact-checking and accountability in journalism. It’s the largest donation Poynter’s ever received from an individual foundation.
The Newmark Chair will expand on Poynter’s teaching in journalism ethics and develop certification programs for journalists that commit to ethical decision-making practices. Newmark funds scores of liberal groups also financed by Soros, including the Sierra Club, the New America Foundation, and the Sunlight Foundation. Newmark also finances the investigative journalism group called the Center for Public Integrity, where he serves on the board. Soros’ Open Society is another Public Integrity donor.
Soros has earned his megafortune in part by short selling currencies and causing economic crises. He is credited with breaking the pound on September 16, 1992 in a day that became known in Britain as “Black Wednesday.” He reportedly made $1.2 billion from that crisis. In 2002, he was convicted for insider trading.
Poynter, meanwhile, has hosted controversial journalism programs in the past, including one that was accused of downplaying the threat of global Islamic terrorism. FoxNews.com reported the course suggested reporters “keep the death toll from Islamic terrorism in ‘context’ by comparing that toll to the number of people killed every year by malaria, HIV/AIDS and other factors.”
The course taught reporters that the term “jihad” means internal struggle, and it discussed what it claimed was the issue of “right-wing activists” attempting to link American Muslims to terrorism.

Russian to President Obama – It’s Time to Put Up or Shut Up. The Russian government is challenging President Obama to prove that Russian hackers broke into the emails of top Democrats, or to stop talking about it.
“They should either stop talking about that or produce some proof at last. Otherwise, it all begins to look unseemly,”
CNN reported a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin slammed Obama’s statement in an interview with NPR that the U.S. would retaliate against Russia “at a time and place of our choosing.”
Dmitry Peskov said the U.S. was behaving poorly by making these accusations. “They should either stop talking about that or produce some proof at last. Otherwise, it all begins to look unseemly,” Peskov said, according to Russian state news.
The Obama administration has consistently blamed Russia for hacking into the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta’s emails during the election.
Those reports from the intelligence committee have been summarily dismissed by President-elect Trump, who sees claims of Russian interference as an attack on the legitimacy of his election victory. On Friday, Trump mocked the information that was revealed in the hacks and has so far refused to condemn them.
In recent days, calls have grown louder for the U.S. government to provide what proof it has that Russia is behind the attacks. Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle were disturbed on Thursday after the leaders of intelligence agencies canceled a briefing to the House Select Committee on Intelligence.
New York City college student Yasmin Seweid who claimed to be the victim of a hate crime by Trump supporters is under arrest and charged with filing a false report, a police source told The New York Daily News.
The 18-year-old Seweid caused quite the media stir with her sensationalized account of Trump supporters attacking her on the subway. She claimed three men attempted to pull off her hijab while calling her a terrorist and yelling Trump’s name. All this happened, she said, while New Yorkers sat idly by and watched her get assaulted.
The police source told The News that police gave Seweid numerous opportunities to recant her story but she kept sticking to it. Finally, on Wednesday, she admitted she made the whole thing up, citing “family problems.”
Police say there were many inconsistencies in her story initially, but at first they assumed that could be a typical sign of being traumatized. They also claim the investigation into the false hate crime required “a lot” of resources.

If what a Harvard University constitutional law professor is claiming is true, the plot to steal the Electoral College vote from Donald Trump is far more serious than most people thought. Larry Lessig briefly pursued the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, but these days he is using his position as a Harvard law professor to try to stop Donald Trump. His new organization is called “Electors Trust”, and it has been acting as a central hub for the campaign to deny Trump the 270 votes that he needs to become the next president. If this effort is to be successful, anti-Trump forces need to flip 37 of Trump’s votes, and Lessig says that so far 20 Republican electors are considering voting against Trump. Of course there are many that are skeptical of his claims, but why would a Harvard constitutional law professor lie about something like this?
If Lessig is telling the truth, the Trump team should be deeply alarmed. It would be a grave mistake to simply assume that this Electoral College vote will be a formality, and we will find out on Monday what happens.
And without a doubt Lessig is in a position to know what is going on, because according to Politico his organization has been serving “as a clearinghouse for electors to privately communicate their intentions”…
Larry Lessig, a Harvard University constitutional law professor who made a brief run for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, claimed Tuesday that 20 Republican members of the Electoral College are considering voting against Donald Trump, a figure that would put anti-Trump activists more than halfway toward stalling Trump’s election.
Lessig’s anti-Trump group, “Electors Trust,” has been offering pro bono legal counsel to Republican presidential electors considering ditching Trump and has been acting as a clearinghouse for electors to privately communicate their intentions.
If they only had a handful of votes, I really doubt that Lessig would put his reputation on the line by going public like this. But now that they are more than halfway to their goal, he is probably hoping that a last minute publicity push will put them over the top. If the rest of the Republican electors are made aware that many Trump voters are already willing to flip, that may encourage others to join the cause…
“Obviously, whether an elector ultimately votes his or her conscience will depend in part upon whether there are enough doing the same. We now believe there are more than half the number needed to change the result seriously considering making that vote,” Lessig said.
Personally, I don’t think that it is going to work.
But I am alarmed enough about this effort that this is the third article that I have written about it this week alone.
On Wednesday, we also learned that U.S. officials are now claiming that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “personally involved” in the effort to interfere with the presidential election. The following was reported by NBC News…
U.S. intelligence officials now believe with “a high level of confidence” that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.
This revelation comes on the heels of a letter that was signed by 40 members of the Electoral College asking Director of National Intelligence James Clapper for a briefing on Russian interference in the election…
Forty members of the Electoral College on Tuesday signed a letter demanding an intelligence briefing on Russian interference in the election ahead of their Dec. 19 vote.
Ten electors originally signed the letter when it was published Monday, and 30 more have since added their names.
The open letter — led by Christine Pelosi, the daughter of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) — urged Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to give a detailed briefing on President-elect Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.
Needless to say, there are many out there that are hoping to make as much as possible of this “Russian interference” angle in hopes that it will influence the votes of some electors.
To many on the left, it makes perfect sense to try to deny Trump the presidency even though he won the election fair and square. Here is a typical example of their reasoning…
Yet, at least outside of political fiction, there has probably never been a better election for electors to go against what their states’ voters wanted. Recent revelations by the Central Intelligence Agency that Russia actively engaged in this very close election to advantage Trump, and that Russia maintains leverage over him with unreleased information, call into question the legitimacy of a Trump presidency. Add to that Trump’s erratic and destructive behavior over the past month, the fact that nearly three million more voters preferred his opponent to him, his work to undermine relations with China, the fact that he considers his own uninformed opinions about international security superior to the evaluations of the nation’s intelligence agencies, and the near certainty that he’d be in violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause on the day he is sworn in, and you really don’t get a more appropriate opportunity for Republican electors to rethink their states’ choice.
To those that supported Trump this is utter lunacy, but this is actually what many on the left are thinking.
Fortunately, at this point it appears that they are going to come up short. Even though Lessig claims that 20 Republican electors are considering abandoning Trump, the vast majority are solidly behind him…
Virtually all Republican electors reached by The Hill said they will vote enthusiastically for Trump.
“I’m voting how the people of Florida have told me to vote,” said Brian Ballard, a Florida elector who raised money for Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio during the GOP primary. “I don’t know anyone who isn’t. I appreciate people using First Amendment rights to reach out and try to convince me otherwise, but I’m obligated to support Trump because he won Florida.’
“Also, I love the guy and want him to be president.”
So hopefully the vote next Monday will go as planned.
There hasn’t been more than a single “faithless elector” in any presidential election since 1832, and even though it is likely that we will see some this time, it would take something extraordinary for the anti-Trump forces to come up with the 37 votes that they need to push Trump under 270 votes and throw the election into the House of Representatives.
I don’t believe that they will be successful, but we have already seen during this election season that we should expect the unexpected.

It’s been disclosed that the election interference did not come from Russian hacks, but rather an insider leak. Julian Assange has claimed this over and over again before election day. Will people finally start believing him?
Craig Murray, who has served as an intelligence analyst, a British ambassador to Uzbekistan and chancellor of the University of Dundee, dropped a bombshell clarification about the ongoing furor of U.S. election hacks, saying he knew first-hand who breached the computerized walls – and it wasn’t a Russian.
“Murray, wrote yesterday: ‘As Julian Assange has made crystal clear, the leaks did not come from the Russians. As I have explained countless times, they are not hacks, they are insider leaks – there is a major difference between the two. …
“‘I know who leaked them. I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.
“In other words, Murray – a close friend of Julian Assange – says he knows for a fact that there were no hacks at all … instead, an American insider leaked the information to Wikileaks.”
I have watched incredulous as the CIA’s blatant lie has grown and grown as a media story – blatant because the CIA has made no attempt whatsoever to substantiate it. There is no Russian involvement in the leaks of emails showing Clinton’s corruption. Yes this rubbish has been the lead today in the Washington Post in the US and the Guardian here, and was the lead item on the BBC main news. I suspect it is leading the American broadcasts also.
A little simple logic demolishes the CIA’s claims. The CIA claim they “know the individuals”involved. Yet under Obama the USA has been absolutely ruthless in its persecution of whistleblowers, and its pursuit of foreign hackers through extradition. We are supposed to believe that in the most vital instance imaginable, an attempt by a foreign power to destabilise a US election, even though the CIA knows who the individuals are, nobody is going to be arrested or extradited, or (if in Russia) made subject to yet more banking and other restrictions against Russian individuals? Plainly it stinks. The anonymous source claims of “We know who it was, it was the Russians”are beneath contempt.
As Julian Assange has made crystal clear, the leaks did not come from the Russians. As I have explained countless times, they are not hacks, they are insider leaks – there is a major difference between the two. And it should be said again and again, that if Hillary Clinton had not connived with the DNC to fix the primary schedule to disadvantage Bernie, if she had not received advance notice of live debate questions to use against Bernie, if she had not accepted massive donations to the Clinton foundation and family members in return for foreign policy influence, if she had not failed to distance herself from some very weird and troubling people, then none of this would have happened.
The continued ability of the mainstream media to claim the leaks lost Clinton the election because of “Russia”,while still never acknowledging the truths the leaks reveal, is Kafkaesque.
I had a call from a Guardian journalist this afternoon. The astonishing result was that for three hours, an article was accessible through the Guardian front page which actually included the truth among the CIA hype:
The Kremlin has rejected the hacking accusations, while the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has previously said the DNC leaks were not linked to Russia. A second senior official cited by the Washington Post conceded that intelligence agencies did not have specific proof that the Kremlin was “directing” the hackers, who were said to be one step removed from the Russian government.
Craig Murray, the former UK ambassador to Uzbekistan, who is a close associate of Assange, called the CIA claims “bullshit”, adding: “They are absolutely making it up.”
“I know who leaked them,” Murray said. “I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.
“If what the CIA are saying is true, and the CIA’s statement refers to people who are known to be linked to the Russian state, they would have arrested someone if it was someone inside the United States.
“America has not been shy about arresting whistleblowers and it’s not been shy about extraditing hackers. They plainly have no knowledge whatsoever.”
But only three hours. While the article was not taken down, the home page links to it vanished and it was replaced by a ludicrous one repeating the mad CIA allegations against Russia and now claiming – incredibly – that the CIA believe the FBI is deliberately blocking the information on Russian collusion. Presumably this totally nutty theory, that Putin is somehow now controlling the FBI, is meant to answer my obvious objection that, if the CIA know who it is, why haven’t they arrested somebody. That bit of course would be the job of the FBI, who those desperate to annul the election now wish us to believe are the KGB.
It is terrible that the prime conduit for this paranoid nonsense is a once great newspaper, the Washington Post, which far from investigating executive power, now is a sounding board for totally evidence free anonymous source briefing of utter bullshit from the executive.
In the UK, onesingle article sums up the total abnegation of all journalistic standards. The truly execrable Jonathan Freedland of the Guardian writes “Few credible sources doubt that Russia was behind the hacking of internal Democratic party emails, whose release by Julian Assange was timed to cause maximum pain to Hillary Clinton and pleasure for Trump.”Does he produce any evidence at all for this assertion?No, none whatsoever. What does a journalist mean by a “credible source”?Well, any journalist worth their salt in considering the credibility of a source will first consider access. Do they credibly have access to the information they claim to have?
Now both Julian Assange and I have stated definitively the leak does not come from Russia. Do we credibly have access? Yes, very obviously. Very, very few people can be said to definitely have access to the source of the leak. The people saying it is not Russia are those who do have access. After access, you consider truthfulness. Do Julian Assange and I have a reputation for truthfulness? Well in 10 years not one of the tens of thousands of documents WikiLeaks has released has had its authenticity successfully challenged. As for me, I have a reputation for inconvenient truth telling.
Contrast this to the “credible sources” Freedland relies on. What access do they have to the whistleblower? Zero. They have not the faintest idea who the whistleblower is. Otherwise they would have arrested them. What reputation do they have for truthfulness? It’s the Clinton gang and the US government, for goodness sake.
In fact, the sources any serious journalist would view as “credible” give the opposite answer to the one Freedland wants. But in what passes for Freedland’s mind, “credible” is 100% synonymous with “establishment”.When he says “credible sources”he means “establishment sources”.That is the truth of the “fake news” meme. You are not to read anything unless it is officially approved by the elite and their disgusting, crawling whores of stenographers like Freedland.
The worst thing about all this is that it is aimed at promoting further conflict with Russia. This puts everyone in danger for the sake of more profits for the arms and security industries – including of course bigger budgets for the CIA. As thankfully the four year agony of Aleppo comes swiftly to a close today, the Saudi and US armed and trained ISIS forces counter by moving to retake Palmyra. This game kills people, on a massive scale, and goes on and on.

The New York Times posted a glowing article about a group home in New Hampshire, Hope on Haven Hill, founded with the express mission of keeping babies united with mothers who:
“… had used opioids, mostly heroin and fentanyl. Many had been incarcerated. Few had families they could turn to for help, and the fathers of their babies were out of the picture.”
Why would anyone do this? And why is the U.S. government giving these lunatics a half-million dollar grant to help them do it?
As the Times explains, “Haven Hill’s philosophy” is that babies should stay with their drug addict, single mothers, “alleviating the widespread fear among pregnant drug users that if they seek help, their children will be taken away.”
Even accepting that, in modern America, single mothers and drug addicts are People Who May Not Be Criticized, this is insane. It ought to be insane even to readers of the Times, who might have noticed, next to the perky article on Haven Hill, the headline for a related article in the Times: Opioids May Interfere With Parenting Instincts, Study Finds. As the article explains, scientists found that the part of the brain that registers cute baby faces “as irresistible, kicking in our instinct to care for them”didn’t light up in people dependent on opioids, as it does in normal brains.
But forget that the mothers are heroin addicts — as Haven Hill does. Just consider the lottery tickets these kids have won by being born to single mothers. As recounted in gory detail in Guilty: Liberal “Victims” and Their Assault on America, study after study has shown that children brought up by single mothers are doomed. Regardless of socioeconomic status, race or residence, they are many, many multiple times more likely than children raised in two-parent families to: commit suicide, get pregnant, abuse drugs, run away, drop out of high school and go to prison. In fact, the single strongest predictor of whether a person will end up in prison is being raised by a single mother.
We can’t do much about single mothers who aren’t drug addicts (except maybe ease up on the endless paeans to them), but here’s a golden opportunity to rescue children from lives of misery and place them with loving adoptive families. In this case, on top of the daunting odds facing any child raised by a single mother: Mommy’s a heroin addict.
So far, the short life of one baby at Haven Hill has entailed the following:
“Emma Lee, a tiny infant born with neonatal abstinence syndrome … had spent all 32 days of her life in a neonatal intensive care unit because her mother, Amanda, 31, who was homeless for the first six months of her pregnancy, had used heroin for most of that time and then went on methadone.”
Emma Lee was born addicted to heroin.
“‘Her withdrawals were pretty severe,’ said Amanda, who did not want her last name used, as she cradled Emma Lee in their sunny bedroom at Hope on Haven Hill. While in the hospital, the baby had difficulty eating. Her hands and legs shook with tremors.”
Could any of the compassion being lavished on drug addicts be extended to their helpless children?
No. Poor little Emma Lee must stay with Amanda, so that we can really drive home the point that unmarried women CANNOT be held responsible for getting pregnant and drug addicts CANNOT be held responsible for their addictions. Innocent children are pawns in America’s endless project of promoting women’s self-esteem.
The politician’s constant refrain is that drug addiction “is not a moral failing, this is a disease”— as Gov. Chris Christie puts it. Let’s say it is.
First of all, I would argue that it was at least partially Amanda’s fault, and not the disease’s fault, that she decided to take heroin in the first place. Unless she’s Cary Grant in “North by Northwest,” and the drugs were forcibly rammed down her throat, she chose to gamble with heroin.
Nancy Reagan’s much-maligned “Just Say No”campaign is a lot more compassionate than the parades and sky-writing campaigns announcing: DRUG ADDICTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE!
Most compassionate of all is Trump’s policy to build a wall and deport Mexican drug dealers, so that Americans with this “disease” won’t be able to catch it in the first place.
Second, so what? Let’s say drug addiction is a disease. Lots of behavior has genetic roots. Studies show that wife-beating has an underlying genetic component. Why don’t politicians weep about the “illness” of spousal abuse? How about a bucolic New Hampshire home to unite wife-beaters with their spouses, alleviating the widespread fear among violent men that their wives will leave them?
At least they can leave. Only defenseless little babies are being forced to stay with manifestly unfit mothers — in order to burnish the drug addict’s self-esteem. Ruining a child’s life is part of the addict’s recovery plan.
Suppose Amanda were an unfit mother for reasons entirely out of her control — she was a ray of sunshine, a straight-A student, with a bright future, who was raped and left in a coma by illegal aliens. Would do-gooders and government agencies adopt the “philosophy” that Emma Lee had to be raised by her comatose mother?
No, of course not. The whole purpose of this senseless child abuse is to proclaim for the millionth time: WOMEN ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE! DRUG ADDICTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE!
