Syrian Democratic Forces

Overwhelmed with joy after being freed from the grip of the Islamic State, some Syrian women have taken to burning the veils that they were forced to wear while living under the control of the terror group.

Video of the celebrations emerged Wednesday on a YouTube channel affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a Syrian rebel group made up mostly of Kurdish fighters. The video shows men, women, and children all singing and dancing to celebrate their liberation from the Islamic State. Two of the women in the video take off their veil and proceed to light it ablaze in celebration. Two other women celebrate their freedom by lighting up a cigarette, while children are seen dancing in the streets.

Syrian women deciding to torch their burqas and veils has become a common occurrence upon being freed from ISIS rule. To many, it is a symbol of oppression.

“Damn this stupid invention that they made us wear,” a Syrian woman said in August after she was liberated by the SDF. “We’re humans, we have our freedom.”

The Islamic State has ordered women in Iraq and Syria to wear full veils or be subject to “serious punishment.”

The SDF is a critical component of the U.S.-backed coalition battling the Islamic State, as Kurdish forces are engaged in a campaign to cut off ISIS supply lines throughout the country. In recent days, they have continued to push further into ISIS-held territory, liberating many towns and villages along the way. According to Kurdish news outlet Rudaw, the SDF “crossed into Deir ez-Zur province [in Syria] for the first time Tuesday.”

SDF troops plan on continuing their push forward until they reach Raqqa, which is known as the Syrian headquarters of the Islamic State.

Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) used its headquarters in Mosul to make chemical weapons, the Pentagon announced January 7, reported Al-Monitor.

Coalition forces, in their steady assault to retake the Iraqi city, found chemicals inside the university, which the terror group had claimed as its control center.

The university was liberated last month. Booby traps set by the jihadis in the heavily-damaged buildings made a thorough investigation difficult. However, tests confirmed the university was “central to the ISIS chemical weapons program,” stated Pentagon Spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis. “They have received positive samples; that is indeed what was going on there.”

Davis said the chemical, sulphur mustard, was “used primarily as an irritant and something to scare people,” rather than an agent of death.

Since the beginning of the assault on Mosul in October, coalition forces have captured most of the eastern parts of the city. The western part of the city still remains in ISIS hands.

Report: Islamic State Using Drones to Drop Bombs with ‘Pinpoint Accuracy’

The U.S. military is alarmed that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) in Iraq is using commercially available drones to drop small bombs with “pinpoint accuracy” in and around Mosul, the jihadist group’s last major stronghold in the country.

“I am aware that ISIL has used commercial-off-the-shelf UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] to drop small explosive weapons,” Air Force Col. John Dorrian, a top U.S. military spokesman in Baghdad, told the Washington Times. “This capability is dangerous and has propaganda value, but it will not change the fact that the enemy is being defeated in both Iraq and Syria.”

The Times reports:

The new capability raises the specter that the Islamic State one day could attack urban areas from the air, not just on the ground. The U.S. military is alarmed by the terrorist army’s quick technological advances and is evaluating more than 20 systems to detect and destroy its drone air force. Other systems already have been rushed to the war.

Earlier this month, the Pentagon confirmed that ISIS is using small drones carrying grenade-like explosives in Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city. The drones have caused civilian and military casualties, the Pentagon revealed. A U.S.-backed Iraqi offensive is currently fighting to push ISIS out of Mosul.

In a January 18 letter, then-U.S. Army Secretary Eric K. Fanning reportedly wrote Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), a U.S. Marine veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, that the jihadi drone threat is on the rise.

“These advances present our adversaries with opportunities to quickly adjust and improve their tactics, and the Army must remain adaptive and agile to respond to the evolving threat,” declared Fanning.

He revealed that the U.S. military is testing more than 20 government and industry systems “designed to detect, identify and electronically defeat” jihadi drones.

In a propaganda video disseminated on social media Tuesday, ISIS featured aerial footage of a Chinese Skywalker X8 drone that can be purchased on Amazon targeting clusters of Iraqi soldiers, tanks, and buildings. The video captured ISIS’ ability to assemble, arm, deploy, and guide drones to locate and strike specific targets.

Steven Stalinsky, executive director of the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which obtained the video from an ISIS Internet channel, described the small aircraft as “the first offensive drone able to carry bombs, albeit small ones.”

Echoing the former U.S. Army secretary, the MEMRI chief predicted that ISIS will expand its use of drones.

“They have been using drones for a few years, mainly for their films, but there has been a major increase in usage,” Mr. Stalinsky said, adding that drones “are easily obtainable online, then can be modified. We have seen many drones used by ISIS that can be bought on Amazon.”

ISIS has been employing the use of commercially available drones for reconnaissance and to capture footage for propaganda videos. The jihadist group has also reportedly used drones to drop grenades. The Iraqi military has confirmed, too, that ISIS has weaponized drones.

“Daesh [ISIS] uses drones for surveillance and sometimes it attaches explosives to them and uses to target commanders or headquarters,” Lt. Gen. Abdul Wahab al-Saidi of Iraq’s Counter Terrorism Service told reporters in November at a military headquarters in a Mosul suburb.

Rep. Hunter told the Times that after a classified briefing on Tuesday, he is confident the U.S. military in Iraq is capable of defeating ISIS drones.

Will THIS finally make liberals think ISIS is a greater threat than Russia? How OLD is this kid, do you think?

While we in the West get bent out of shape about POP TARTS bitten into the shape of a gun… Or ‘finger guns‘ on a Texas campus…The REAL world is waking up to THIS reality.

A toddler filmed — from several angles — shooting a bound prisoner in a playground. It’s part of a longer film that includes other horrors, like an older boy beheading another bound prisoner, and plunging a knife into his back. The use of an abandoned playground to stage this was deliberate symbolism, you can be sure.

This is what those who want us dead are doing to prepare themselves. Training children to kill in the name of their cause is nothing new. See: ‘janissaries’.

The Ottomans instituted a tax of one-fifth on all slaves taken in war, and it was from this pool of manpower that the sultans first constructed the Janissary corps as a personal army loyal only to the sultan.

From the 1380s to 1648, the Janissaries were gathered through the devşirme system which was abolished in 1638. This was the taking (enslaving) of non-Muslim boys, notably Anatolian and Balkan Christians; Jews were never subject to devşirme, nor were children from Turkic families. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, “in early days, all Christians were enrolled indiscriminately. Later, those from Albania, Bosnia, and Bulgaria were preferred.” —Wikipedia

We have seen this trend elsewhere, too. ‘Cubs of the Caliphate‘ Mom and dad kiss 7-year-old daughter goodbye before remotely detonating her in a Turkish Police station. The little girl was the only fatality.

A report indicates there is evidence that members of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) have forced children to play soccer with decapitated heads as a way to desensitize them to violence.

“Children not only get desensitized to violence, but they also deem these practices as normal, and eventually defend them,” wrote the researchers at the London based think tank the Quilliam Foundation. “Children have been seen accompanying prisoners to their death and, in one example, distributing knives to adults before a mass beheading.”

Their findings back numerous reports of people who witnessed children using decapitated heads. Last April, some Palestinians escaped a refugee camp after the Islamic State captured it.

“In Palestine Street, I saw two members of Daesh playing with a severed head as if it was a football,” explained Amjad Yaaqub, a 16-year-old refugee. – Breitbart

This is NOT the sort of hardened enemy that college snowflakes have been preparing themselves for, if in fact they’ve been preparing themselves for any threat at all.

What’s wrong ISIS, afraid of a young woman. Well, you should be. You should be afraid of hundreds of young woman who have taken up arms against you. Joanna Palani, 23, dropped out of college to fight the terrorist group. Now she sits in jail. Not an ISIS cell, a cell in her native country of Denmark. Because she left the country to fight this scum. If convicted, she could face up to two years in prison. Do you think she is in jail for a ridiculous reason?

Isis has reportedly offered a $1 million reward for the killing of a Kurdish-Danish woman who dropped out of university in 2014 to fight the extremist group in Syria and Iraq.

Joanna Palani, 23, is currently behind bars and facing trial in Copenhagen for leaving the country after a 12-month travel ban imposed in June 2015.

“How can I pose a threat to Denmark and other countries by being a soldier in an official army that Denmark trains and supports directly in the fight against [Isis]?” she posted on Facebook shortly after her passport was confiscated.

Ms Palani’s high profile means she is often the subject of vicious threats both on and offline. The latest offerings of financial reward for her death were made by Isis social media channels in several different languages over the weekend, al-Arabiya reported.

Muslim Terrorists Kill 9 at Popular Tourist Attraction

A group of Muslim terrorists (that may be connected to the villains at ISIS) mounted a siege at a popular tourist attraction in the Jordanian city of Karak.

The group of armed men attacked an ancient castle that was used by Christian Crusaders more than 1,000 years ago. The evil jihadists killed five police officers and four civilians, including a visiting Canadian tourist. Along with the 9 dead, some 30 others were taken to the hospital to have their injuries tended to.

From the UK’s Express:

According to reports police responding to fake reports of a house fire in the city were ambushed by the group of gunmen, who opened fire on them as they entered the property.

After two officers were wounded the gang fled by car and attacked another security patrol, but nobody was injured in that skirmish.

They then fled to Karak castle, where they holed up and took the terrified tourists hostages…
