Democrats’ Delusional Security Blanket

By: Kevin Jackson | January 9, 2025

For decades, Democrats have treated the popular vote as the ultimate barometer of legitimacy in presidential elections. It’s their comfort zone, their “win” even when they lose.

And then came the election of 2024.

When Donald Trump not only secured the Electoral College but also crushed the popular vote in 2024, it was more than a mere political defeat—it was an existential crisis. The Left had banked on retaining the moral high ground, even in a hypothetical but inevitable Kamala Harris loss. They planned on clutching their beloved “popular vote victory” narrative. Then, Trump’s decisive win kicked their ideological stool right out from under them.

The backlash was predictable: a masterclass in Leftism 101—whine, bitch, rinse, repeat.

Election Denial, the Democrat Way

Let’s address the elephant—or donkey in this case—in the room. The same Democrats who incessantly accuse Republicans of being “election deniers” have a rich history of refusing to accept election outcomes they don’t like. Their hypocrisy was on full display in 2016 when Hillary Clinton and her supporters pushed the “Russia collusion” hoax to delegitimize Trump’s presidency. Fast forward to 2024, and they’ve simply swapped out the script but kept the act.

Among the Left’s most vocal election deniers is Michael Podhorzer, a former AFL-CIO operative and fellow at the Center for American Progress. Podhorzer absurdly claimed that Trump didn’t really win the popular vote in 2024. His rationale? A convoluted cocktail of cherry-picked data and wishful thinking. Podhorzer isn’t alone in his denialism—he joins a long list of Leftist luminaries like Rick Wilson, James Carville, and Allan Lichtman, all of whom confidently predicted a Harris victory and were proven spectacularly wrong.

And let’s not forget the “Russia, Russia, Russia” chorus from 2016, starring Clinton herself, bolstered by Stacey Abrams, who to this day insists she won the Georgia governor’s race in 2018. If denial were an Olympic sport, the Democratic Party would sweep the medals.

Trump: The People’s Choice

What truly terrifies the Left isn’t just Trump’s win—it’s his growing popularity. Despite years of relentless demonization, Trump emerged as the most popular politician in American history, leaving even his critics scratching their heads. His ability to resonate with everyday Americans, even in the face of unprecedented media and institutional attacks, is nothing short of remarkable.

Democrats tried everything to suppress his 2024 bid. They slapped him with the “felon” label, orchestrated smear campaigns, and unleashed their full propaganda machine. Yet Trump’s numbers soared. Imagine how overwhelming his victory might have been without the Left’s interference.

In states with voter ID laws, Trump’s dominance was undeniable. Harris clung to victory only in states where voter ID wasn’t required—a clear indicator of foul play. Without these dubious practices, Harris would have faced a landslide loss of epic proportions.

The Billionaire Betrayal

Adding salt to the wound, some of the wealthiest individuals in America, including Silicon Valley billionaires, have thrown their support behind Trump. The Left, once proud of its tech-savvy allies, now finds itself abandoned by many of the same figures who helped fuel their rise. This shift has left Democrats reeling, as their narrative of Trump being universally despised crumbles before their eyes.

The Left’s Desperate Clinging

In their desperation, Democrats now embrace figures like Podhorzer, who swim against the tide of reality to keep hope alive. These self-proclaimed “defenders of democracy” cling to their denial like a lifeline, even as their arguments grow increasingly absurd. But the truth is inescapable: Trump won, and he won big.

What’s next for the Left? More whining, more protests, and more finger-pointing. But as they flail in denial, the rest of the country moves forward, united behind a president who defied the odds and emerged as the undeniable choice of the American people.

Humorously, the Democrats’ desperation brings to mind an old adage: “If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.” Instead, they’ve opted for dynamite—because why just dig when you can destroy the whole foundation of your argument?

As we watch this political theater unfold, one thing is clear: the Democrats’ love affair with the popular vote has officially turned into a tragicomedy.

Elderly Democrats Say Thousands of Donations to ActBlue Were Made Fraudulently in Their Names

Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue may have raked in millions through fraudulent donations, according to the testimonies of elderly Americans who said federal election records do not reflect their giving.

Eighteen registered Democrats in Connecticut, all over the age of 70, appear to have donated $1.9 million to Democratic causes, including ActBlue, through hundreds of thousands of small donations from 2016 to 2024, according to a review of Federal Election Commission filings by Dominic Rapini, CEO of technology company Queralt Inc. and a former Connecticut Republican candidate for office.

Curious about the donation patterns, Rapini tracked down some of the Connecticut residents and asked them if they really did make thousands of small donations, sometimes multiple in a day, through ActBlue. Several of the supposed donors told Rapini they did not make any of the reported donations, nor did they know anything about how their names were being used, Rapini told The Daily Signal.

An 88-year-old retired Yale University professor, for example, supposedly made 7,539 donations for a total of $213,163, according to FEC records. After Rapini informed him about the significant donations in his name, he signed an affidavit saying, “I believe this does not reflect my donation frequency or dollars I have donated.”

According to Rapini, who has analyzed numbers for three decades in the tech industry, this is a possible case of alleged identity theft and money laundering. A contribution made by one person in the name of another is illegal.

“When I examine the donation patterns tied to these alleged ‘smurfs,’ the irregularities jump off the page, revealing behavior that defies both human logic and common sense,” he told The Daily Signal. “To safeguard trust in our election process, we must confront these anomalies head-on.”

Rep. Brian Steil, R-Wis., chairman of the House Administration Committee, told The Daily Signal he’s aware of similar reports from across the country.

“In response, last fall, I shared the findings of our investigation with several state attorneys general,” Steil said in an emailed statement. “The committee and I remain fully available to collaborate with any state law enforcement officials who wish to access the information we have gathered on this critical issue.”

An elderly acupuncturist and registered Democrat appears to have made 17 donations in 2022 through ActBlue totaling $317. In an email to Rapini, she promised she hasn’t made political contributions since 2016.

“I can promise you I have NOT made donations myself to the [Democratic National Committee] or Democratic local party since 2016 … ,” she said. “Anything past that are fake and/or manipulated donations.”

A 91-year-old woman appears to have made 2,591 donations totaling $41,000, according to FEC filings. She signed an affidavit with Rapini denying making the reported donations.

Another 75-year-old woman looks to have made 4,270 small donations adding up to $32,323. She too signed an affidavit with Rapini denying making the donations in this frequency or quantity.

ActBlue is currently under congressional investigation for alleged laundering of foreign money laundering.

ActBlue came under fire on Oct. 29 because of its donor-verification policies. In a letter that day to ActBlue, Steil said foreign actors from Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and China could use the platform to launder illicit money for use in U.S. political campaigns.

The Democratic fundraising platform admitted in 2023 to Steil that it didn’t require contributors to use a card verification value, or CVV, to donate on its website with a credit card. Those security codes are meant to ensure that the person making a purchase physically possesses the credit card.

ActBlue responded to The Daily Signal’s request for comment about the affidavits by referring The Daily Signal to a post on its blog, which says, “Because of how reporting works for intermediaries, contributions made on platforms like ours often show up more than once in public FEC records, because both ActBlue and the receiving campaign or committee must report the contributions.

“FEC rules require ActBlue to itemize every contribution made through its platform, regardless of amount,” the post says.

“Additionally, FEC reports often lump multiple donors with the same name together,” the post continues. “This can make it difficult to easily identify which contributions should be associated with each individual donor, especially donors with common names.”

Rapini said whether the suspicious donation patterns come from “sloppy data systems at the FEC” or “nefarious actors laundering money through unsuspecting elderly donors,” an investigation is needed.

“Transparency and accountability are nonnegotiable when it comes to protecting the integrity of our democracy,” he said.

Pathetic Schumer Bashes Voters: ‘They Didn’t Realize How Much We Did for Them’”

By: Daphne Moon | January 6, 2025

Read more at https://thepatriotchronicles.com/news-for-you/pathetic-schumer-bashes-voters-they-didnt-realize-how-much-we-did-for-them/

In a stunning admission, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer offered up an explanation for his party’s drubbing in the 2024 elections. According to Schumer, voters simply “didn’t realize how much” the Democratic Party had done for them during their time in power. This shocking revelation came during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press” where host Kristen Welker pointed out that Democrats had suffered historic losses, with President-elect Donald Trump winning both the Electoral College and the popular vote.

Schumer blamed his party’s defeat on a failure to focus on the needs of working families in America and to show enough empathy towards their struggles. He cited the passing of legislation like the CHIPS Plus Act and efforts to lower the cost of prescription drugs as examples of the Democrats’ commitment to helping the average American. But according to Schumer, this message didn’t reach voters, and the party also failed to show enough concern for their well-being.

But what Schumer fails to mention is the widespread criticism of the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the economy, with many Democratic strategists and pundits pointing to this as the root cause of their defeat. Not only did Trump gain 2.5 million more votes than in 2020, but Vice President Kamala Harris also saw a massive drop in her vote count compared to Biden’s numbers in 2020. She even failed to match Trump’s gains in three of the seven key swing states and in 80% of counties nationwide.

Despite this overwhelming evidence of a strong showing for Trump and a lackluster one for the Democrats, Schumer tried to spin the narrative in his party’s favor. He claimed that voters simply didn’t realize how much Democrats had done for them and that the media should focus on showing this to them in the future.

But it’s clear that Democrats are out of touch with the American people. Instead of addressing the concerns of the average working family, they chose to focus on talking about the details of their legislation, neglecting to show empathy and concern for the struggles of everyday Americans.

WATCH

With Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race and the subsequent endorsement of Kamala Harris, questions arose about whether the Democrats would hold a primary. But despite never winning any delegates, Harris was able to secure enough support from Democratic National Convention (DNC) delegates to become the party’s presumptive nominee. This just goes to show the lack of democracy and true representation within the Democratic Party.

Schumer’s attempt to explain away his party’s losses as a result of voters not realizing their accomplishments is a feeble attempt to shift the blame from the Democratic Party’s failures. It’s time for Democrats to wake up to the reality that the American people do not support their extreme policies and instead focus on addressing the needs and concerns of everyday Americans.

“Precedent…Doesn’t Matter Anymore”: Democrats Dispense with Pretenses and Principles in Pennsylvania

By: Jonathan Turley | November 18, 2024

Read more at https://jonathanturley.org/2024/11/18/precedent-by-a-court-doesnt-matter-anymore-democrats-dispense-with-pretenses-and-principles-in-pennsylvania/

Below is my column in The Hill on the growing distemper on the left after the loss of both houses and the White House in this election. In Pennsylvania, the politics of despair has stripped away all principle and pretense. There is a concerted effort to reelect Sen. Bob Casey by any means necessary. Even the Washington Post is now criticizing the effort.

Here is the column:

“People violate laws any time they want.”

Those words, shrugging off an alleged unlawful move last week, did not come from some Chicago gangbanger or Washington car thief. Those words of wisdom came from Democrat Commissioner Diane Marseglia in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They came in response to the fact that the Democratic majority on the election commission had decided to ignore a binding state Supreme Court ruling in an attempt to engineer the election of Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.). Rather than prompting a degree of introspection, the loss of both houses of Congress and the White House has had a curious effect on many Democrats, dropping any pretense of protecting democracy over partisanship.

Despite polls showing that the public trusted former president Donald Trump more than Vice President Harris in combatting threats to democracy, Democrats made “saving democracy” the thrust of this election.

The polls reflected a certain common sense of the public when harangued with predictions from President Biden, Harris and a host of politicians and pundits that this would likely be our last election. Few believed that after over two centuries as the most stable and successful democracy in history, all three branches would collapse in unison and embrace dictatorship. Even fewer believed the predictions of the rounding up of homosexuals, journalists and political critics for camps in what some described as an American Third Reich.

American voters are not chumps and what they saw were strikingly anti-democratic positions from those claiming to be the defenders of democracy, including:

Seeking to strip Trump from ballots under an unfounded theory rejected unanimously by the Supreme Court.

Fighting to block opponents of Biden from ballots in the primary and general elections.

Suing to keep Robert F. Kennedy on ballots after his withdrawal in swing states, in order to confuse voters and reduce the vote for Trump.

Calling for blocking dozens of incumbent GOP officials and legislators from ballots as “insurrectionists.”

“Protecting democracy” through the most extensive censorship in history and the blacklisting of opponents.

Engaging in open and raw lawfare in the prosecutions of Trump in places like New York.

Each of these efforts ultimately failed to stop Trump and was opposed by a majority of voters even before the election. So now, Democrats are dropping the pretense for open partisanship. That was evident in Bucks County, when a motion arose to reject a challenge to count provisional ballots, including undated or invalidly dated mail ballots.

It should have been easy. To its credit, the majority-Democratic Pennsylvania Supreme Court had already refused a Democratic push to change the rules shortly before the election and to ignore the plain language of the election laws. In ordering the rejection of ballots without dates, Justice Kevin Doughtery (joined by Chief Justice Debra Todd) wrote a concurrence declaring “This Court will neither impose nor countenance substantial alterations to existing laws and procedures during the pendency of an ongoing election.’  We said those carefully chosen words only weeks ago. Yet they apparently were not heard in the Commonwealth Court, the very court where the bulk of election litigation unfolds.”

It is apparently still not being heard. In the Bucks County hearing, Marseglia spoke as she and Democratic Board chairman Robert Harvie, Jr., dismissed the earlier rulings in order to accept ballots without required signatures or mandatory dates.  She declared that she would not second the motion to enforce the rulings “mostly because I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country and people violate laws any time they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it.”

That was a lot of words to say that she does not really seem to care if this is lawful. For his part, Casey has shown the same abandon as he clings to his Senate seat at any cost. That cost, in this case, was an alliance with Marc Elias, the controversial Democratic lawyer at the center of the infamous Steele Dossier scandal. Elias has been sanctioned in court and criticized for his work to flip elections. He is known for baselessly blaming voting machine errors for electing Republicans and pushing gerrymandering plans rejected by the courts as anti-democratic.

Casey is unlikely to change the result without counting defective or challenged ballots. Fortunately, law and precedent “does matter in this country.”  There are still officials who can transcend their political preferences to maintain the rule of law. After the last presidential election, many Trump appointees ruled against the former president, and many Democratic judges rejected the effort to strip Trump from ballots.

That does not mean that Democrats who value the weaponization of law will not continue to embrace lawfare warriors like New York Attorney General Letitia James (D).

Others will use the rage of these times as a license to ignore legal and ethical obligations altogether. They are arguably the saddest manifestation of our political discord. They are people who have not just lost faith in our system but in themselves. They have become untethered from any defining principle for their own conduct. This election has left them adrift in a sea of moral and legal relativism, with only their rage as a following wind. They cling to that rage as reason vanishes like a distant shore.

For the rest of us, there is work to be done as a nation committed to the rule of law. We cannot win at any cost when that cost is the very thing that defines us.

Minnesota House GOP ‘broke the Democrat trifecta’ with three big wins in Greater Minnesota

By Hank Long – Alpha News – Nov 6, 2024

Just about 24 hours after the polls opened in Minnesota and more than 3 million people had cast their ballots, a picture of who will control the levers of power at the Minnesota Capitol in January began to emerge but remains somewhat blurry.
This much is known: Tim Walz will return to St. Paul as governor. He will preside over a divided legislature.
Whether Republicans in the Minnesota House will share power with the DFL (where each caucus would hold 67 of 134 seats), or will have a razor thin majority of one or two (recount dependent) seats has not yet been cemented.
Nevertheless, Republicans were declaring victory when it came to Minnesota’s legislative landscape around the same time Tuesday night that it became clear Donald Trump would return to the White House as president. READ MORE

By Robert Ramano – Daily Torch – Nov 15, 2024

During President Joe Biden’s honeymoon in early 2021, Senate Republicans routinely deferred to the President’s selection for Cabinet secretaries, no matter how radical they were, how much they disagreed with the President’s policies and no matter how awful the selections turned out to be for national security and the individual liberties of the American people.
The Biden-Harris administration ushered in a regime of censorship, government surveillance and political weaponization that targeted now President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters, botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan on an arbitrary, no-conditions timeline, left the U.S. southern border wide open and allowed millions of illegal aliens to penetrate the U.S., restricted U.S. energy and agriculture production while prices soared, institutionalized Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) racial and gender hiring quotas into the federal bureaucracy and U.S. corporations via… READ MORE

“Democracy is on the Ballot”: California Democrats Seek to Prevent Voters from Approving New Taxes

“Democracy is on the ballot.” That mantra of President Joe Biden and other Democrats has suggested that “this may be our last election” if the Republicans win in 2024. A few of us have noted that the Democrats seem keener on claiming the mantle of the defenders of democracy than actually practicing it. Democrats have sought to disqualify Donald Trump and dozens of Republicans from ballots; block third party candidates, censor and blacklist of those with opposing views; and weaponize the legal system against their opponents. Most recently, in California, democracy is truly on the ballot and the Democrats are on the wrong side.

California has always prided itself on the ability of citizens to vote on changes in the law directly through referenda and ballot measures. That is precisely what citizens are attempting to do with a measure that would require voter approval of any tax increase, including a two-thirds vote for some local taxes. It is called the Taxpayer Protection Act and it is a duly qualified statewide ballot measure slated for the November 2024 ballot.

The state Democrats are apoplectic over the prospect of citizen control over revenue and taxes.  What was a quaint element of democratic empowerment is now challenging a core vehicle of Democratic power. So, Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democratic leaders have taken the issue to the state Supreme Court to demand that citizens be denied the right to decide the issue.

In oral arguments, the attorney supporting the challenge explained to the justices that citizens are simply not equipped to deal with the complexities of taxation and should not be allowed to render such a decision.

In a prior decision, Associate Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar wrote that “Whether the context involves taxation or not, all of these cases underscore how courts preserve and liberally construe the public’s statewide and local initiative power. Indeed, we resolve doubts about the scope of the initiative power in its favor whenever possible and we narrowly construe provisions that would burden or limit the exercise of that power.”

Half of the Court seemed to be inclined to deny the public the right to decide the question.

The Court, however, may wait until after the election to render a decision on the limits of democracy in California.

Black voters rip Biden’s ‘race baiting’ commencement speech as his support dwindles: ‘Party of hopelessness’

Richmond, Virginia business owner Ajay Brewer and Georgia independent voter Bernadette Wright respond to Biden’s most recent pitch to Black voters. Black voters reacted to President Biden’s commencement address at Morehouse College in Atlanta over the weekend, accusing him of “race baiting” while his support in the Black community continues to dissipate ahead of November.

New York resident Lou Valentino reacted to Biden’s remarks during “Fox & Friends,” accusing him of trying to set Black Americans back after his controversial speech.

“Race baiter,” Valentino told Lawrence Jones on Monday. “It’s tough to hear that because imagine you going to college for four years… ready to… hit the world, start a career, and… this guy is trying to set you back literally, I don’t know, civil rights. I don’t know what’s going on with the Democrats. This role that they’re trying to play, instead of… pulling up and saying, well, ‘Here we go. This is your time. Congratulations. Let’s kill it. Let’s do our best.’ Nah, you know what, Lawrence? They don’t love you like that.”

VP HARRIS CALLED OUT OR ‘PANDERING’ TO BLACK VOTERS WITH ‘EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN’ DINNERS

Speaking at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Biden questioned whether American democracy would work for the African-American graduates.

“You missed your high school graduation. You started college just as George Floyd was murdered, and there was a reckoning on race. It’s natural to wonder if the ‘democracy’ you hear about actually works for you. What is democracy? That Black men are being killed in the street,” Biden told Morehouse graduates on Sunday.

He continued, “What is democracy? The trail of broken promises still leaves Black communities behind. What is democracy? You have to be ten times better than anyone else to get a fair shot. Most of all, what does it mean? As you’ve heard before, to be a Black man who loves his country even if it doesn’t love him back in equal measure.”

Virginia business owner Ajay Brewer reacted to Biden’s remarks during “Fox & Friends First,” echoing Valentino’s sentiment while accusing the Democrats of stifling the freedom of Black voters.

TOP MOMENTS FROM BIDEN’S MOREHOUSE COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS

“It’s hopelessness, man… it’s the party of hopelessness,” Brewer told Carley Shimkus on Monday.

“I could say that… I was a Democrat my entire life until I opened my business… It’s like a drug… victimhood, and, ‘We can do this for you,’  and to be honest with you the Black folks I surround myself with just want government to get out of the way.”

“We don’t need folks to do things for us. We don’t need people to baby us,” he continued. “It’s kind of disturbing… that they pander to us in this manner because they can depend on us at a clip of 90% plus, but I think that’s going to change this election.”

According to a new Fox News poll, Biden’s support with Black voters has declined 7% since October 2020, while Trump’s support has spiked 9% in the same time frame.

“America is changing and people are becoming more sensitive to what’s affecting us as individuals, as business owners, as parents. Not just because we’re Black, not just because we’re women, not just because we’re men. They can’t keep putting us in these race baskets,” Georgia independent voter Bernadette Wright told “Fox & Friends First” Monday.

“Accountability season is here, and America is ready for someone who’s ready to lead from a place of understanding that you’re going to have to meet with the states, and you’re going to have to meet with the local government if you want to affect individual communities on a micro level.”

BLACK VOTERS REJECTING BIDEN AS SUPPORT DWINDLES AHEAD OF 2024: ‘EVERYTHING WAS BETTER’ UNDER TRUMP

“When it comes to me as an African American, I need you to pay attention to what’s going on with my business,” she continued. “It’s not always just about, ‘Oh, you’re Black, so you must need this in your community. They don’t even know who we are at this point. We’re just looking for somebody to come to the middle and lead.”

Video

Biden had also been accused of using the speech to cater to Black voters. After he was announced as commencement speaker in April, students and professors quickly called on the college to cancel the speech.

During the speech, a smattering of Morehouse students and faculty also protested Biden’s speech by turning their backs on him. The protest was not widespread, however, and those participating did not disrupt his address beyond showing their backs. The small protest was a reminder of the continued unrest at college campuses across the country, however, where anti-Israel protests have forced some universities to cancel their commencement ceremonies altogether.

By Jim Hoft – May 15, 2024

We are witnessing the unification of the radical Islamic and Marxist movement in America.
A recent investigation into the highly organized nationwide campus protests across America found that several leaders of the anti-Israel movement traveled to communist Cuba for “resistance training.”
The anti-Israel protesters were associated with Black Lives Matter activists who allegedly provided training techniques to the Jew-hating mobs who set up camps on numerous American college campuses.
Investigators say BLM leader Manolo De Los Santos is tied to the movement. Manolo De Los Santos hails Hamas’ terror attacks as “heroic,” and calls for the destruction of Israel. READ MORE…

Weissmann: “One Vote Away from … the End of Democracy”

By: Jonathan Turley | May 1, 2024

When Robert Mueller appointed Andrew Weissmann as one of his top advisers, many of us warned that it was a poor choice. Weissmann seemed intent to prove those objections correct in increasingly unhinged and partisan statements. This week, he ratcheted up the rhetoric even further in claiming that the nation is “one vote away” from the end of democracy if the Supreme Court does not embrace the sweeping claims of Special Counsel Jack Smith.

At the time of his appointment, many Republicans objected to Weissmann’s status as a democratic donor, including his reported attendance of the election night party for Hillary Clinton in 2016. My objection was not to his political affiliations but to his professional history, which included extreme interpretations that were ultimately rejected by courts. Weissmann was responsible for the overextension of an obstruction provision in a jury instruction that led the Supreme Court to reverse the conviction in the Arthur Andersen case in 2005.

Weissmann then became a MSNBC analyst and a “professor of practice” at New York University. In his book, he attacked prosecutors for refusing to take on his extreme views. Weissmann called on prosecutors to refuse to assist John Durham in his investigation.

Now he is predicting the end of democracy if the Court remand the immunity case for further proceedings. Weissmann told MSNBC anchor Jen Psaki on Sunday:

I think that it’s important to remember that at the outset, the court had already given Donald Trump the win that he was seeking, which is the delay of the DC trial.

So going into this, this was all upside for him. I mean, I think he had to be thinking, I’m making this really outlandish argument, with ramifications that couldn’t possibly be squared with the text and history. The text of the Constitution or the history of the presidency? So, it’s all upside if the court would actually bite on this. And so, what was surprising is that there were justices who actually were taking this seriously. And it just was, frankly, shocking.

Remember, going into this, the given was that private conduct was certainly not, immunized from criminal liability. What everyone’s talking about now is, hey, maybe they think that some of this is private and they can go forward, but that was what was given going into this. And the reason people are thinking that is because there seem to be four justices who were really taking Donald Trump’s claim of criminal immunity seriously. And we are.

I mean, I know it sounds like hyperbole, but I think your opening is so correct that we are essentially, as Neil put it, one vote away from sort of the end of democracy as we know it with checks and balances. And to say it’s an imperial presidency that would be created is, it’s frankly saying it would be a king, he would be criminally immune. And that that is what is so shocking is how close we are.

And we are really on the razor’s edge of that kind of result. But for the chief justice.

Just for the record, it sounds less “like hyperbole” than hysteria. The justices were exploring the implications of the sweeping arguments on both sides of the immunity question. What they were not willing to do (as does Weissmann) is simply dismiss any arguments of official status on the part of the accused.  That would establish a dangerous ambiguity for the future as prosecutors claim that political statements are private matters for the purpose of prosecution.

Ironically, Weissmann’s lack of concern for the implications of such an interpretation is reminiscent of his prior sweeping arguments as a prosecutor that led to the stinging defeat in the Anderson case.

Of course, there is another possibility is that the justices were not seeking the end of democracy. The Court was honestly trying to get this standard correct not just for this case but future cases. To do so, it will require a record on the underlying actions rather than the categorical threshold judgment made by the district court. The argument showed justices exploring how to avoid a parade of horribles on either extreme with a more moderate approach.

As I previously noted, it has been almost 50 years since the high court ruled presidents have absolute immunity from civil lawsuits in Nixon v. Fitzgerald. That protection applied to acts taken “within the ‘outer perimeter’ of his official responsibility.”

Apparently, that immunity did not endanger democracy.

In United States v. Nixon, the court also ruled a president is not immune from a criminal subpoena. Nixon was forced to comply with a subpoena for his White House tapes in the Watergate scandal from special counsel Leon Jaworski. Since then, the court has avoided any significant ruling on the extension of immunity to a criminal case — until now.

There are cliffs on both sides of this case. If the court were to embrace special counsel Jack Smith’s arguments, a president would have no immunity from criminal charges, even for official acts taken in his presidency. It would leave a president without protection from endless charges from politically motivated prosecutors.

If the court were to embrace Trump counsel’s arguments, a president would have complete immunity. It would leave a president largely unaccountable under the criminal code for any criminal acts.

The first cliff is made obvious by the lower-court opinion. While the media have largely focused on extreme examples of president-ordered assassinations and coups, the justices are clearly as concerned with the sweeping implications of the DC Circuit opinion.

Chief Justice John Roberts noted the DC Circuit failed to make any “focused” analysis of the underlying acts, instead offering little more than a judicial shrug. Roberts read its statement that “a former president can be prosecuted for his official acts because the fact of the prosecution means that the former president has acted in defiance of the laws” and noted it sounds like “a former president can be prosecuted because he is being prosecuted.”

The other cliff is more than obvious from the other proceedings occurring as these arguments were made. Trump’s best attorney proved to be Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — the very personification of the danger immunity is meant to avoid..

Weissmann is not concerned with the clear politicization of the criminal justice system by Bragg just before one of the most consequential elections in our history.

No, the threat is that justices may want to balance the interests over immunity by rejecting the extreme arguments on both sides. They may try to pursue a course that allows for immunity for official acts or functions while rejecting immunity for non-official acts. Some or all of Trump’s actions or statements could well fall into the unprotected category.

The sense of alarm expressed by legal experts is that the Court would not simply sign off on the absolutist arguments of Smith and, most importantly, allow for a trial before the election.

So how will democracy end if the Court adopts a middle road on immunity? It appears to come down to the loss of a possible conviction to influence the outcome of the election.

At the same time, MSNBC guests are also calling, again, for the packing of the Supreme Court. While conservative justices have repeatedly voted with the Biden Administration, it does not matter. They want the Court packed to guarantee outcomes with the appointment of reliable liberal justices. All of this is being defended in the name of democracy, as was ballot cleansing.

The problem with the escalating rhetoric is that there is not much room for further hysterics. Where does Weissmann and others go from here after predicting the imminent death of democracy?

Pundits have now predicted the creation of camps for democrats, killing journalists and homosexuals, the death of the free press, and tyranny. That leaves only systemic mutilations and Roman decimation. For lawyers to fuel this hysteria is a sad commentary on the state of our country. Whether a true crisis of faith or simple opportunism, it disregards centuries of constitutional history in overcoming every threat and obstacle. We have the oldest and most stable constitutional system in the world. To suddenly embrace tyranny would require all three branches, and the citizens as a whole, to shred an elaborate system of checks and balances.

We are better than that . . . and these inflammatory predictions.

Liz Peek Op-ed: Biden White House signals pessimism about election in surprising way

It’s not just atrocious polls that suggest President Joe Biden will lose in November; it’s also the behavior of the White House. In just the past few weeks, the Biden administration has rolled out over a dozen new initiatives and rules, many of them – like banning development of Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve – likely to impact our country far into the future. It’s a startling avalanche of executive activity.

Call me crazy, but that looks like a White House panicked that its days are numbered.

Who can blame them? A new national CNN poll shows Trump leading the president by six points, one of the biggest gaps yet; more important, Fox News surveys have Trump inching ahead in several critical swing states.

NEW POLL REVEALS WHAT BIDEN HAS IN COMMON WITH THESE ONE-TERM PRESIDENTS

Bad polls, an unpopular president, disruptive protests at home and rising threats around the world, sinking consumer confidence and resurgent inflation; all signs point to defeat in November. Hence, the whirlwind of regulations, which includes the following:

1. New FTC rules that ban non-compete agreements;

2. A re-write of Title IX;

3. EEOC charges of racism against a company because they avoided hiring criminals;

4. More federal help on student loans;

5. FTC preventing the merger of two luxury goods makers;

6. New overtime rules;

7. New regulations detailing airline refunds;

8. New decision restricting drilling in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve;

9. FTC blocking hospital group mergers;

10. New power plant emissions rules;

11. Putting on hold a ban on menthol cigarettes;

12. A revamp of school lunch mandates, reducing sugar and salt.

The Biden administration appears to be preparing for the worst, pushing through policies that could be overturned if passed later in the year. Congress has 60 days to nix rules promulgated by federal agencies with a simple majority; if there’s a red wave, Biden diktats adopted in the traditional “lame duck” session would likely disappear. The Trump administration employed that tool successfully, ditching several policies rolled out late in President Obama’s second term; Biden returned the favor when he came to office.

ABC’S GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS SAYS 2024 RACE CAN’T BE TREATED NORMALLY AFTER BIDEN URGES PRESS TO ALTER COVERAGE

Some decisions, like forgiving student loans or not banning menthol cigarettes which are favored by Blacks, are obviously meant to attract targeted voters. Others seem to scratch a progressive itch, like the upending of long-standing employment laws.

Voters should wonder: Is all of this activism well-thought-out? The answer is almost surely no. After all, these are the folks that forced Detroit automakers to go all-in on EVs, sure that Americans were ready to abandon their gas-guzzling SUVs.

Consider the FTC, led by the reckless ideologue Lina Khan. Under Khan’s guidance, the FTC has clamped down on corporate merger activity. Most recently, the agency sued to block luxury fashion firm Tapestry’s acquisition of Capri. Tapestry owns Coach, Stuart Weitzman and Kate Spade, while Capri owns the Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors labels.

BIDEN ADMIN ABRUPTLY DELAYS PLAN TO BAN MENTHOL CIGARETTES AMID WIDESPREAD OPPOSITION

Henry Liu, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Competition claims, “This deal threatens to deprive consumers of the competition for affordable handbags…” Forgive me, but only a man could utter such nonsense. Any woman will tell you that there are a gazillion handbag makers, and that they compete mainly on style and image, not price. And, frankly, that few of them are “affordable.”

This is one of many examples of the FTC interfering with the normal pursuit of business. Fashion is fickle; companies continually add names and brands to survive. Liu has no idea what he is talking about.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

But we cannot dismiss this FTC intervention as insignificant. The Biden White House, just like that of President Obama, is tragically lacking in business leaders, and in common sense.

Lina Khan is a typical progressive Biden appointee, who is now compiling an impressive record of overreach and defeat. She failed to prevent Meta from acquiring the virtual reality company Within, failed to keep Microsoft from buying Activision and will probably fail in her effort to keep grocers Albertson and Kroger from combining.  She denies that mergers can create efficiencies and lower costs for consumers. As an undergraduate, she wrote a paper criticizing Amazon for being big; if Khan had been in charge, Americans would not be enjoying the obvious convenience of the world’s largest online retailer.

It isn’t just the FTC which, by the way, is also behind the outrageous and sure to be overturned ban on non-compete agreements. Consider the new Department of Transportation demands that airlines must “immediately” refund money for delayed or canceled flights and reimburse passengers for equipment issues like non-working TVs. Talks about adding headaches to an industry constantly toggling between profits and losses! What the government should be doing is investing in critical air traffic control equipment and infrastructure; let consumers punish airlines that don’t treat them fairly.

Some of the White House’s most enduring and damaging new rules have to do with energy. Biden is desperate to shore up his bona fides with the environmental lobby, and so has added new restrictions on domestic oil and gas development. Consequently, he just banned exploration of a vast swath of Alaska’s huge National Petroleum Reserve, even though the region contains some of our country’s most promising prospects and despite support for drilling from the state’s native population.

In addition, the president’s EPA has recently issued new power plant emissions rules that could force the closure of many coal-fired power plants, even as demand for electricity expands. It also requires by 2032 wide-spread use of carbon-capture technology that does not yet exist on a large scale.  Similar rules adopted by the Obama administration were overturned by the Supreme Court in 2016; critics claimed executive overreach. The Biden team’s approach, which could undermine the nation’s energy security, is likely to meet the same fate.

These are not sensible policies; they are the wish-list and fantasies of a progressive White House not likely to pay the price for their damaging meddling. Here’s hoping.

Democrats React to Trump’s New York City Reception

Trump, #TeamKJ, #KevinJackson

For a man who’s supposedly hated in Democrat-controlled cities, Donald Trump made one helluva splash in The Big Apple.

Look at this reception by onlookers as Trump headed to the kangaroo court set up by Alvin Bragg:

This is an impromptu appearance by Trump, and he draws this fawning crowd. Compare this to the pre-fab nonsense of Biden.

Trump gets exponentially more people waving and praising him than Biden can get at his own family reunion.

As one commenter wrote: “Meanwhile Joe Biden is getting his diaper changed.”

Check out this video that blows up the Leftist narrative:

Watch that video multiple times and gauge the crowd. All 360 degrees of video show people in support of Trump. And there may be thousands of Trump worshippers; all people who recognize the political witch hunt Trump faces in Democrats’ election interference efforts. No need for obscure camera angles to hide the crowd, as the press do with Biden.

Speaking of Captain Demento, while speaking in Pennsylvania he recently lamented people with “FJB” signs and children flipping him off:

I congratulate the parents of the 7 or 8-year-old Biden mentioned who flipped him off. Fitting that children recognize scum when they see it, less they turn into Democrats.

Biden is an indecent man at best. However, what’s worse is he pretends to be decent. But Joe Biden fools nobody.

What bothers Democrats and other Leftists is this is happening all over America. To validate what the “81-million-vote-man” lamented, check out this video of Biden heading into the battleground state of Michigan:

We slowed this video down so you could see the more of the signs. Even at regular speed it’s easy to see the throngs of Trump supporters lined up for what appears to be blocks. These people took the time to dress in patriotic anti-Biden gear, carry American flags, and showcase signs to show how much they detest Biden.

Slow-motion shows thousands of people supporting Trump, hating Biden. And this video captures only a fraction of the distance and people. This video lasted a minute, and you saw a fraction of the thousands of Trump supporters.

By contrast, where are the Biden supporters?

Watch ANY video of Biden and the one thing that will be missing is supporters. This slowed down video show no Biden supporters, because Biden is almost universally despised. I’m actually surprised he admitted it in that earlier video.

If Biden were popular, there would be just as many people holding his signs on the other side of the road. But you never hear of clashes between Trump supporters and Biden supporters for one simple reason: there are no  true Biden supporters.

Biden supporters are either Trump haters or virtue-signalers. They only support Biden when they gain something. Privately, only the biggest fool in the country supports this old fool.

Leftists get mad at me for stating this truth. Because the truth hurts, and people hate being caught in their own lies.

Democrats are panicked.

Democrats may pretend to be Tommy Toughass publicly, but in truth he’s scared of his shadow. That’s why he lies about his life, his son’s life, his uncle’s life, and everything else.

Play all the games the Left will, but they are panicked at the visceral reaction against Biden. Everywhere. And the real polls validate what Democrats know: Biden can’t beat Trump.

The strategy of Democrats has been clear since Biden was cheated into office. Tie Trump up in court, and try to bankrupt him. But that’s not working, nor will it.

As I heard the President of the Claremont Institute say, [pp] “Trump is the perfect man for this time.” He went on to say that Trump may not be the best president for all time, but he is undoubted the man for this time.

How anybody could watch Democrats persecute this man and not see what’s happening shows the real nature of Democrats or anti-Trumpers.

Nothing Democrats do will stop Trump’s second term and the resurgence of America. MAGA.

Supporter who hugged Trump at Atlanta Chick-fil-A says media isn’t honest about Black community’s support

A Trump supporter who met the former president at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A spoke out Friday against the media’s coverage of Black voters, accusing mainstream outlets of “warping” the perception about Trump’s popularity in the community. Conserve the Culture founder Michaelah Montgomery, who went viral Wednesday when she hugged Trump during his visit to the restaurant, joined “FOX & Friends” to discuss the exchange.

TRUMP VISITS ATLANTA CHICK-FIL-A, BUYS CUSTOMERS CHICKEN AND SHAKES

“The general consensus or social media would have you thinking that if President Trump were to show up to the HBCU [Historically Black Colleges and Universities] campuses … that like, some angry mob would form or a riot would ensue and that he would not be welcome, and clearly the sentiment in that room the other day was the complete opposite,” Montgomery told Lawrence Jones.

“He was very welcome. People were excited to see him. People showed up in support of him, and people, of course, were from all four institutions within the AUC [Atlanta University Center], the local HBCU community in Atlanta, and they all showed up in support of him,” she continued.

Trump stopped at the Atlanta Chick-fil-A to speak with supporters, buying them food and milkshakes, before attending a fundraiser in the area.

Montgomery was at that location and shouted to him, “I don’t care what the media tells you, Mr. Trump, we support you.”

In response, Trump smiled and hugged her.

“I really appreciate that we were able to not only let him know that regardless of what social media says… I know they’re trying to make us think we’re supposed to hate you, but we don’t,” Montgomery said, recalling the interaction.

“And additionally, it was a learning experience for my students because they were able to see and experience firsthand how the media can warp that perception of an opinion or a person.”

BIDEN SUPPORT FROM BLACK VOTERS PLUMMETING AS DEMOCRATS BLAME ‘DISINFORMATION’

“Because, like I said, to think that these students who attend these illustrious institutions aren’t smart enough to make their own decisions, so much so that they would only show support for Trump because he bought chicken sandwiches and milkshakes… that in itself is the most disturbing part of it all,” she continued.

“Especially when you think about the fact that it was mainly urban media outlets that were doing everything in their power to turn other Black people against these young Black kids who simply were not shy to explore other options.”

A New York Times/Siena poll released last month has sparked concern among some liberal pundits worried that President Biden is losing Black voters — historically a very Democratic voting bloc — to Trump.

According to the new numbers, 23% of Black voters support Trump as of February. That number is a massive increase from where his Black support was in October 2020, at 4%.

Video

Montgomery argued the pivot in the Black community stems from Trump’s authenticity and his ability to communicate clearly regarding his agenda.

“They feel like he’s honest. They feel like this is somebody who, while we might not agree with how he says things, how he goes about things, at least he’s telling us what it is,” Montgomery said.

“We don’t feel like this is a snake in the grass waiting for his chance to bite us. This is somebody who’s telling us this is what my plan is. Here’s how I plan to execute it. Here’s the people involved, and here’s how you can get involved.”

TRUMP COULD HAUL IN MASSIVE AMOUNT OF CAMPAIGN CASH DURING ATLANTA, ORLANDO FUNDRAISING SWING: WHAT TO KNOW

“They just feel like he’s more relatable,” she continued. “They really feel like this is somebody who’s talking to them and not just saying what they want to hear.”

Meanwhile, according to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll released in January, Biden’s support among Black voters has fallen to just 63%, down from the 92% that Pew Research Center data shows he won in the 2020 presidential election. His support among Hispanic voters is down to 34% from 59%.

Trump hugs supporter at Atlanta Chick-fil-A
Conserve the Culture founder Michaelah Montgomery is seen hugging former President Donald Trump at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A on Wednesday.

Montgomery accused Biden of trying to oppress the Black community during his tenure as a U.S. senator.

“He locked up a lot of people that look like me, and they’re still sitting in jail waiting for… justice, an appeal of some sort,” she said. “So when it comes to what Joe Biden has done for Black America, if we look specifically at his record as a senator, it wasn’t it wasn’t something that benefited us at all.”

“If anything, one could argue that he dedicated his entire senatorial career to disrupting the way of life… for Black people,” Montgomery continued.

“He didn’t want Black kids going to the same school as his kids. He didn’t want Black people walking on the sidewalk along with his mother and grandmother.”

Drivers complain higher gas prices leading to painful receipts at the pump

Americans filling their tanks up at a gas station in Alexandria, Virginia, reacted to gas prices rising over 50% since January 2021, when President Biden took office. Rising gas prices under President Biden’s watch have led some Americans to face “painful” and “ridiculous” receipts at the pump, drivers at a Virginia gas station told Fox News.

“There’s no saving,” Donovan said, adding that the cost is “killing” his bottom line. “Gas price has to go back down in order for everybody to really maintain.”

“Paychecks are not rising,” the Virginian said. “It takes about two or three checks to cover all the bills instead of just one.”

“I do fairly well in business, and I just feel for all the people who are trying to make ends meet,” he said. “I can make it work, though it’s painful, but I don’t know how the young family of four gets along. Not just with this inflation, but with all inflation.”

JAMIE DIMON WARNS INFLATION, INTEREST RATES MAY REMAIN ELEVATED

Inflation has cooled from a 40-year high of 9.1% in June 2022, but has remained persistent, with prices climbing 3.5% year-over-year in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The national average for a gallon of gas has also dropped from its June 2022 peak when it surpassed $5, but that’s been rising steadily since March, according to AAA.

On March 11, the White House said “costs have fallen for everyday purchases from a gallon of gas to a gallon of milk,” but several Americans told Fox News they hadn’t noticed lower prices.

“Prices are still super high,” Donovan said. “It hasn’t gone down. They’re just trying to pull wool over the eyes.”

One Virginia woman said she hasn’t felt the pain at the pump as much, but her grocery bills are “ridiculous.”

“They’re lying,” she said. “Where is it down?”

The cost of several everyday items has dropped from recent peaks, though some are still higher than when Biden entered office, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In March, the average gallon of milk, for example, was $3.89, 43 cents higher than in January 2021. The price of eggs was up to nearly $3, an increase of more than $1.50.

David, a lifelong Washingtonian, said gas prices and other surging costs are “ridiculous.” He hopes the 2024 election will bring out a candidate willing to work for the people and lower skyrocketing prices.

“We have to do something,” David said. “There’s more people who are in the shelters, in the streets, because they can’t afford it.”

Nikki Stays In The Race
A Political Cartoon by A.F. Branco 2024

Nikki Haley has no chance of winning the primary thus far and is expected to lose her home state of South Carolina to Donald Trump. So why is she staying in? Many smart people speculate that it’s all about the big bucks she’s getting from Democrat elites, RINOs, Never-Trumpers, Deep-Staters, and Globalists urging her to continue to put a wrench in Trump’s White House hopes to up Biden’s chances in the General election.

Nikki Haley’s Tearless Defiance – Warmonger Favorite Stubbornly Refuses to Drop Out While Attacking President Trump Who is “So Obsessed with His Demons in the Past”

By Jim Hoft Feb 20, 2024

Nikki Haley, former Governor of South Carolina and now a presidential hopeful, refused to bow out of the race despite trailing significantly behind President Donald Trump. Haley, in a dramatic display of defiance and distress, shed tears as she vehemently attacked Trump, accusing him of being “so obsessed with his demons in the past.” As the South Carolina Primary Election looms on February 24, Haley’s home advantage seems to dissipate into the ether, with a mere 20% of likely GOP Primary voters swayed by her local ties.

Trump, on the other hand, continues to ride high with an 82% approval rating among the state’s Republicans, overshadowing Haley’s gubernatorial approval by more than 20 points. READ MORE

‘Outrage’ That Once Fueled Democrat Voters Is Slowly Fading as Another Trump Election Looms

Liberal voters are expressing a sense of fatigue in their ongoing resistance against former President Donald Trump as the 2024 election approaches, The New York Times reported on Monday. Fury propelled voters to cast ballots against Trump in the 2020 presidential election and Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections, according to Democrats the Times spoke to. However, this fervor has diminished since then as the effort required to maintain it has been draining to these voters.

dailycallerlogo“Some folks are burned out on outrage,” Rebecca Lee Funk, founder of the Outrage, a progressive activism organization, told the Times. “People are tired. I think last election we were desperate to get Trump out of office, and folks were willing to rally around that singular call to action. And this election feels different.”

President Joe Biden is attempting to rally the anti-Trump vote by portraying the former president as an existential threat to democracy but the message is struggling to fuel Democrats thus far, according to the Times.

Trump was ahead of Biden by 4.3 points in the RealClearPolitics average in late January, which is his largest lead this cycle against the president. He never led Biden in the RealClearPolitics average during the 2020 election.

“Exhaustion is underlying the entire attitude toward our presidential election,” Republican pollster Whit Ayres told the Times. “When you’ve got two people that are opposed by 70 percent of Americans who want a different choice, it creates frustration, anxiety, and discouragement.”

Americans across party lines are concerned about Biden’s age and some Democrats are failing to maintain their outrage against Trump as the sentiment has dragged on for the better part of a decade at this point, according to the Times.

Among American adults, 86% believe Biden is “too old” ahead of the 2024 election, compared to 62% who said the same of Trump, an ABC News/Ipsos survey recently found.

“We’re kind of, like, crises-ed out,” Pittsburgh security guard and Democrat Shannon Caseber told the Times. She described the likely Trump-Biden rematch as a “dumpster fire,” adding, “It’s crisis fatigue, for sure.”

“Any sense of urgency that we had with the 2020 election—I think it’s still there in the sense that no one wants Trump to be president, at least for Democrats, but it’s exhausting,” she told the Times.

Nearly 40% of Democrats selected “exhaustion” as their sentiment about the 2024 election compared to 26% of Republicans, according to a September Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

During Biden’s presidency, there has been an ongoing border crisis, war between Ukraine and Russia, and war between Israel and terrorist group Hamas.

“We’ve dealt with so many emergencies these past few years: national emergencies, perceived emergencies, real emergencies—it’s just kind of like, that is not really a strong motivator for me anymore,” anti-Trump Los Angeles voter Mr. Dower told the Times. “A lot of us would like a more positive thing to motivate us … Not just purely, ‘Do this or else this bad thing is going to happen.’”

Over 85% of Republicans and conservatives said they were “extremely/very motivated” to vote in the 2024 election compared to 74% of Democrats and liberals, according to a recent CNN poll.

The Outrage did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Liz Peek Op-ed: Trump could ride Special Counsel’s report all the way to the White House but only if he avoids these potholes

Former President Donald Trump can ride Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Joe Biden’s “diminished faculties” all the way to the White House if he does these three things:

1. Leans into voters’ concerns about the disastrous border crisis – and tells them how he’ll fix it.

2. Talks up his plan to keep the economy humming through deregulation, keeping taxes low and also by pushing his “Drill Baby Drill” plan to expand America’s energy stockpile and independence, and…

3. Shuts up about everything else. Don’t feed Democrat narratives with threats to abandon NATO or impose 60% tariffs on China. Stop whining about the 2020 election, stop denigrating rival and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s husband and wardrobe, and lay off President Joe Biden. The president is destroying his reelection hopes all by himself; he doesn’t need any help.

Also, talk less about what a great job you did before and more about how you’ll do it again, even better. Voters want to know and they want optimism.

TRUMP HAD ONE OF HIS BEST WEEKS AS CASES AGAINST HIM APPEARED TO IMPLODE

There’s been a lot of chatter about what Joe Biden should do to confront the terrible blow delivered by Special Counsel Hur. There has been less commentary about how the presumed GOP nominee should navigate this gift from the blue. My view – don’t interrupt Biden’s decline and fall.

Video

Odds makers have Donald Trump in the lead, with one site giving him a 52% chance of winning in November, against 27% for Biden. Shockingly, Michelle Obama is next most likely to become president, with a 15% chance. That says everything.

Democrats are in disarray, with many turning on their standard-bearer for letting them down. But really, it is the Democratic universe – the leadership, Dem donors in Hollywood and Silicon Valley, White House aides, the liberal media, Jill Biden and the whole dishonest crew – that has nurtured this cancer in their midst. They knew the president was in decline but have lied repeatedly about his vigor and his sharpness – even to themselves — and conspired to hide it from the public.

‘THE VIEW’ HOST POSTS PANICKED HANDMAID’S TALE MEME OVER BIDEN POSSIBLY LOSING TO TRUMP

If you receive your news from MSNBC, you might have no idea Joe Biden can barely finish a sentence without stumbling. You don’t know that the White House has been shielding his decline by limiting his interactions with the press, using more easily-managed stairs to deplane and stage-managing his appearances to prevent him looking befuddled and lost.

Video

On social media, clips of Biden’s deterioration are everywhere. His miscues are no longer “gaffes”; believing you just sat down with France’s former President Francois Mitterand, who died in 1996, is senility mixing up the channels.

There’s been a lot of chatter about what Joe Biden should do to confront the terrible blow delivered by Special Counsel Hur. There has been less commentary about how the presumed GOP nominee should navigate this gift from the blue.

Reliable lefties like Ross Douthat at the New York Times are openly calling for Biden to step aside at the convention, allowing delegates to choose another candidate. Maureen Dowd, also at the awakened (panicked) Times, says Biden’s denial of his infirmities isn’t going to beat Trump, though she fails to provide a better plan.

BIDEN LASHES OUT AT REPORTERS ASKING ABOUT AGE CONCERNS AFTER SPECIAL COUNSEL REPORT: ‘THAT IS YOUR JUDGMENT!’

Trump can capitalize on Biden’s slide. But he must stop stepping in the middle of the story, such as he recently did when he recalled telling NATO members that if they didn’t pay their share of the alliance’s defense budget he would not protect them from Russia aggression. That, of course, made headlines of just the sort Democrats savor – Trump is reckless! Trump cannot be trusted!

Video

Trump must keep the spotlight on the president’s age and on the horrors perpetrated by Biden – the millions of illegals swarming across the border, the soft-on-crime approach of this White House, the resulting mayhem in places like Chicago and New York and the hugely inflated prices of everything. These issues are shipping voters into the “R” column. They remember these problems didn’t exist under Trump.

Meanwhile, wars in Ukraine and the Middle East demolish Biden’s absurd claims of diplomatic know-how. Rather, those conflicts showcase the extreme cost to the world of a weak man sitting in the Oval Office. Biden touts his “experience”; what good is experience if you can’t remember?

CLICK HERE FOR MORE FOX NEWS OPINION

Donald Trump is not a weak man. He is powerful – as a speaker and as a leader – ready to use the might of the U.S. presidency to close our borders. He has done it before and can do it again. Joe Biden has the same tools at his disposal, but refuses to take them out of the tool box. Trump should lay out how he will convince Mexico to host asylum-seekers on their side of the border, how he would deport criminals in the country illegally, and how he would team with Greg Abbott to prevent crossings instead of taking the Texas governor to court as Biden is doing.

Video

Similarly, Trump should push for a reasoned America-first approach to energy. Rather than chasing oil supplies from enemies in Iran and Venezuela, the United States should exploit our abundant natural resources here at home. Open up new federal lands to drilling, accelerate permits and back off Biden’s costly new fees and regulations which are making it more costly to drill.

Greenlight LNG exports which help the U.S. reduce our trade deficits with China and Japan, are critical for our European allies, and which actually help the climate as natural gas backs out coal. Ease Joe’s fuel efficiency mandates which are costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars and which may well kill U.S. automakers. When Ford is losing $60,000 on every EV it is forced to make, something is very wrong.

Finally, tell voters about Joe Biden’s plan to hike taxes, which will slow growth and cost jobs. The next president needs to extend the Trump tax cuts; the former president should make that happen.

Trump right now has the wind at his back. Jamie Dimon, one of the world’s financial leaders, told the shocked elites at Davos that Trump had been right on a lot of issues; he was correct.

If former President Trump can focus on those issues that worked for our country – the border, the economy and energy specifically – he can win in November.

Killing Democracy
A Political Cartoon by A.F. Branco 2024

The Democrat Party, who claim to be the guardians of Democracy, have done their best to shut down any fellow democrat candidates such as R. Kennedy, M. Williamson, and D. Phillips, from running against Biden. Strangely, they’re likely to find a way to remove Biden at some point and insert a viable candidate of their choosing at a convenient time to elicit the most powerful impact. That sounds like the opposite of democracy to me.

FASCISM: Democrats in Four States Including Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Massachusetts Decide to Have Only Joe Biden on the Primary Ballot

By Jim Hᴏft Dec. 21, 2023 3:20 pm

Four states—Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Massachusetts—have decided to force voters with a single option for the Democratic primaries: Joe Biden. The decision, which effectively crowns Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee in those states without primary contestation, has incited allegations of disenfranchisement and questions about the democratic process within the party.

The true threat to the demise of our democracy lies with the Democrats, not Donald Trump. The communist party will now decide the Democratic Party’s nominee and who they install into the White House. The Florida Democratic Executive Committee announced that in the upcoming primary elections, the ballot will only feature the name of Joe Biden, effectively excluding any potential challengers within the party. READ MORE…

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that perhaps the most embarrassing moment of Nikki Haley’s entire political career occurred Tuesday night in the Nevada Primary, and President Trump was not even on the ballot.

Despite being the only major candidate on the ballot, Haley was overwhelmingly defeated, with many voters opting for “None of These Candidates” over her. READ MORE

Black Voters in South Carolina Turn on Joe Biden Ahead of Democrat Primary (VIDEO)

By Cristina Laila Jan. 27, 2024 7:40 pm

Black voters in South Carolina are turning on Joe Biden ahead of the Democrat primaries set for February 3. “Biden just wants to cause more bills for everybody, and he’s got a lot of homeless people out here,” one black South Carolina voter told the media of Joe Biden losing support among blacks. “It ain’t the Black community — it’s everybody’s community,” he said.

As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, a poll released last month by Morning Consult shows Joe Biden losing support among black voters while President Trump is gaining support. Media Hypes Taylor Swift’s Potential Influence on 2024 Election Outcome, Despite Polls Showing Just 18% More Likely to Support Her Endorsed Candidate

By Jim Hᴏft Jan. 28, 2024 6:20 pm

A new poll suggests that pop icon Taylor Swift could hold sway over the 2024 presidential election. Despite this, the numbers reveal a more nuanced reality, with only a modest 18% of voters indicating they would be swayed by her endorsement. The survey, conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for Newsweek, highlighted that while a segment of the electorate might lean towards a Swift-endorsed candidate, there’s another 17% that would be less likely to give their vote under the same circumstances.

However, the majority of voters, 55%, reported their voting decision would remain unaffected by Swift’s political preferences. The poll suggests Swift’s endorsement could particularly resonate with the younger demographic. Approximately 30% of Americans under 35 said they’d be influenced by Swift’s political opinion, while only 4% of those 65 and older felt the same. READ MORE

Biden’s rumored stand-in, Gavin Newsom, sees record low approval ratings at home

By: JOSEPH MACKINNON | NOVEMBER 08, 2023

Read more at https://www.conservativereview.com/biden-s-rumored-stand-in-gavin-newsom-sees-record-low-approval-ratings-at-home-2666191310.html/

Pressure is mounting on Democrats to sideline President Joe Biden as a candidate and bring in new blood ahead of the 2024 election. After all, confidence in the octogenarian president’s ability to lead continues to plumb new lows. A New York Times/Siena Poll published Sunday revealed that 71% of respondents agreed he is too old; 54% of 2020 Biden voters similarly indicated he should pack it in, having likely taken note of his mobility troublesapparent difficulty completing sentences, and tendency to repeat himself.

The trouble for Democrats is that the individual widely regarded to be a viable stand-in for Biden is apparently also deeply unpopular. A new UC Berkeley Institute of Government Studies poll co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times revealed Tuesday that California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s approval dropped to an all-time low last month: 49% of the 6,342 California registered voters polled said they disapproved of Newsom’s performance as governor.

Newsom’s approval rating was 44%, down 11 points from February.

By way of comparison, the latest Economist/YouGov poll had Biden’s approval rating at 43% and his disapproval rating at 54%.

“He’s kind of taking on a new persona,” Mike DiCamillo, director of the Berkeley poll, told the Times. “He’s no longer just the governor of California. He’s a spokesperson for the national party and basically voters are being asked to react to that.”

Newsom has long been suspected of harboring ambitions of taking the White House in 2024 despite his public denial and rhetorical support for Biden. Sen. John Fetterman (D-Penn.) suggested this week that Newsom is running a shadow campaign, even if he doesn’t have the “guts” to admit as much. The 56-year-old Democrat has ostensibly been working to elevate his national profile in recent months. In addition to renting billboards in red states criticizing conservatives’ support for the unborn and the Second Amendment, he has been making noise about climate change and glad-handing with foreign dignitaries, including the dictatorial leader of the world’s greatest national polluter.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Newsom has seen a drop in popularity among every major voter category. Whereas 12% of Democrats disapproved of his performance in February, 25% of Democrats have now soured on him.

While Newsom may have chased away some support by flouting his own draconian pandemic restrictions during the pandemic, dining out at a fancy restaurant while masked Californians struggled to make do, Republican political consultant Rob Stutzman told the Times that concerns about the economy, crime, and homelessness are likely the major drivers of Newsom’s growing unpopularity.

Whereas FBI crime statistics for 2022 showed violent crime dropping nationwide, it spiked sharply in California, reported the Center Square. The violent crime rate per 100,000 jumped from 481.2 to 499.5 under Newsom’s watch, whereas it dropped from 387 to 380.7 nationwide.

According to Neighborhood Scout, the likelihood of becoming a victim of a property crime in Newsom’s California is 1 in 43 and the chances of falling victim to a violent crime are 1 in 227. In the cities, the outlook is far bleaker. The chances of becoming a victim of a violent crime in Sacramento are 1 in 148; in Los Angeles, 1 in 135; in San Francisco, 1 in 186; and in Oakland, 1 in 80.

California streets are not only dangerous, but often crowded by homeless encampments. Despite spending $17.5 billion to combat homelessness between 2018 and 2022, the state’s homeless population grew, such that there are now over 170,000 homeless people on the streets, reported CNN.

As for economic concerns, the unemployment rate in California as of July was roughly 4.6%, leaving Newsom’s state ranked 49th in the country.

“I think the real wake-up call is how dramatically Democrat voters seem to be shifting underneath him,” Stutzman told the Times. “I’m not surprised his numbers are down. I’m surprised his numbers are down that far. He’s clearly upside down.”

‘Everybody else sucks’: Black Lives Matter leader endorses Trump for 2024

By: ANDREW CHAPADOS | NOVEMBER 08, 2023

Mark Fisher, a co-founder of a Black Lives Matter chapter in Rhode Island and founder of a new BLM-related organization, is on a media tour advocating for Donald Trump to be president in 2024.

“Everybody else sucks,” Fisher told host Kim Iversen in a recent interview.

After Iversen asked if he thought Trump was simply the best of the worst and “not that great either,” Fisher clarified his views.

“I like Trump, you know. Personally, and I think right now who we have sitting in the Oval Office is just a deep disappointment, you know? I deeply have disdain for him, and I really dislike the vice president, as well.”

Fisher was the co-founder of BLM Rhode Island but has appeared to hold the same views in his new role as the founder of Black Lives Matter, Inc. In January 2022, he told a black business association website that his vision was “to see a world where Black people are no longer subjugated to and oppressed by a white supremacist ideology in any form or facet and at any level, and wherever it may rear its ugly head that it be swiftly eradicated.”

For his new company, the about page lists a nearly identical vision. In the text, the term “black people” is simply replaced by “African American people.”

“We want to create wealth,” Fisher told Iversen. “We want to gain wealth, leave something for our children, you know.”

Being anti-capitalist wasn’t Fisher’s only reasoning for condemning Democrats. He also said their stance on abortion went “against the laws of nature” and the “laws of procreation.” Fisher also claimed that black Americans have been “mental slaves” to the Democratic Party, who have “abused” them for so long. He added that Trump is “the opposite.”

“He’s gonna tell you how it is. He’s gonna give it to you straight. He’s not gonna [be a] hypocrite and stab you in the back like the Democratic Party loves to do.”

At the same time, Fisher recently made headlines for defending those who were jailed following the events of January 6, 2021.

“They’re lambs led to slaughter to be sacrificed as an example for all who might want to dissent in the future,” Fisher told the Epoch Times. “This is what the government does to those who express independent thought and want to stand up for what they believe.”

Today’s TWO Politically INCORRECT Cartoons by A.F. Branco

A.F. Branco Cartoon – Speechless

Democrats appear to be sticking by Joe Biden as their only presidential candidate for 2024 and don’t seem interested in any debates involving Robert F Kennedy or Dean Phillips of Minnesota. How’s that for upholding democracy? Shouldn’t voters have the ability to hear the opposition in order to make an informed choice within their own party?

There’s a lot of rigorous debating going on within the Republican Party that more closely resembles what democracy actually looks like, as opposed to the Democrats running their party like a communist politburo out of the former Soviet Union or Communist China. Democrats always seem to be in lockstep with each other, especially when it comes to policies that hurt Americans and their constitutional freedoms at large.

Israel is totally surrounded by the Muslim world and is constantly threatened with genocidal rhetoric, along with rockets being constantly fired on their innocent citizens every day from Gaza. The threat is instigated primarily by the Islamic Republic of Iran, a well-funded state sponsoring terrorism across the globe with the help of their branches, Hamas and Hezbollah.

Sadly, whenever Israel acts to defend their population against this barbarism surrounding them, the left in America and much of the world defend Hamas and these bloody acts of Terrorism. Many of the LGBTQ-XYZ groups are also protesting against Israel and defending the Hamas attacks against innocent civilians without any understanding that they themselves would be killed for being gay, lesbian, or trans in Gaza or in much of the Muslim world.
