VIDEO: War Vet Was Ready To Give Up… Then An Unlikely Hero Stepped In

New WhatDidYouSay Logo

There has been much written, and many specials on television about this subject of “Service-Dogs”. I can testify of it’s success, because I am a Vietnam Veteran with severe PTSD. Although my dog is not a trained Service Dog, I can testify of the healing power he has brought to me life, and how he has helped me to fight off the depression that caused me to seek food for comfort, and ballooned up to 394 pounds. When I started walking with Milo, God used him and his enthusiasm to go on our walks, to lift me out of deep/ life hating depression. Along with a special diet, encouragement from my wife children and grandchildren, I am not 245 pounds, and looking forward to reaching my goal weight of 185 pounds (what I weighed on my return from Vietnam).

This is a wonderful video, and story. I truly hope it will motivate you to commit these veterans with prayer, and if possible, financially.

Unlikely Hero for war vet
Returning from service with tremendous guilt that he survived when so many of the troops had died, Erick suffered acute Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  He tried support groups, medication, therapy and more but could never control his panic attacks or night frights.  He scared the people around him and hit out at those closest to him.  Then he heard about the service animal program.  Just watch the video to see how these amazing animals sense the attack or agitation building and how they stop it before it starts.

No human can do what the support dogs can.  Not all heroes are human!

Bill O’Reilly: American Mercenary Army Needed to Defeat ISIS

Obamacare

Joe For AmericaSeptember 23, 2014

Whether you love or hate Bill O’Reilly, you have to admit he’s always got his cogs turning. Last night he discussed a concept for defeating terrorist BO1groups by forming an American-controlled elite army of mercenary soldiers, handpicked by U.S. special tactics experts.

BO3
Professor Tom Nichols of the U.S. Naval War College.

O’Reilly was challenged on the feasibility of his “Anti-Terror Army” by one such expert–professor Tom Nichols of the U.S. Naval War College.

Despite the logistical obstacles Nichols points out, O’Reilly remains convinced a mercenary army would free the world of terrorists. Worth a try? What do you think of O’Reilly’s plan? Tell Joe For America your opinion, after reading the following coverage by Newsmax.

Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly is calling for a mercenary force to take out the Islamic State (ISIS).

President Barack Obama has vowed to put no American “boots on the ground” in Iraq or Imperial Islamic President ObamaSyria, fighting ISIS only through airstrikes and ground forces from the Free Syrian Army, Iraq and the Kurdish Peshmerga.

O’Reilly, on his show Monday night, noted that military experts say the United States has no hope of defeating the terror group without more significant ground forces. But with the American public unwilling to get involved in another Middle East ground war the troops will have to come from somewhere else.

O’Reilly wants hired mercenaries.

He suggested a 25,000-member force he would call The Anti-Terror Army, “elite fighters who would be well-paid, well-trained to defeat terrorists all over the world.”

The fighters would be recruited by the United States and trained on U.S. soil by American special operations forces. U.S. Army rules of engagement and the Geneva Conventions would be followed.

America would be in charge of who makes the cut and where they are deployed, O’Reilly said. American and NATO officers would lead the mercenary army, and America would provide logistical support.

The army would be able to take on terrorists worldwide, but the first forces would be places in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq.

The coalition that Obama currently is trying to build would pay for them, O’Reilly said, and anyone who wants protection would have to chip in.

“If they don’t pay, they get no help,” he said.

Current soldiers in any army would be excluded with the exception of U.S. and NATO commanders.

Tom Nichols, professor at U.S. Naval War College, told O’Reilly he understands his frustration, but added, “this is a terrible idea” from both moral and practical perspectives.

America can’t outsource its national security, Nichols said.

“We’re not talking about ‘Expendibles 8′ here,” O’Reilly protested, adding that Americans have hired mercenaries in every war it has ever fought.

“Not for the bulk of it,” Nichols replied.

Gillian Turner, a former National Security Council official under the past two presidents, said O’Reilly’s plan would fail if for no other reason than it would be hard to get a diverse group of nations to agree to finance an army completely controlled by the United States.

“I think it can be done,” O’Reilly insisted.my two cents

The Real Miss America

Obamacare

NOTICE, NO MAKE-UP AND BEAUTIFUL EYES!

The Real Miss America

This 19 year old ex-cheerleader (now an Air Force Security Forces Sniper) was watching a road in Pakistan that led to a NATO military base. She observed a man digging by the road. She engaged the target (she shot him).

It turned out he was a bomb maker for the Taliban, and he was burying an IED that was to be detonated
when a U.S. patrol walked by 30 minutes later. It would have certainly killed and wounded several soldiers.

The interesting fact of this story is the shot was measured at 725 yards. She shot him as he was bent over burying the bomb. The shot went through his rectum and into the bomb which detonated; he was blown to pieces.

The Air Force made a motivational poster of her. (Folks, that’s a shot 25 yards longer than seven football fields) and the last thing that came out of his mouth was his ass!

F-22 fighters intercept Russian military planes 55 miles off Alaska

Obamacare

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/09/20/f-22-fighters-intercept-russian-military-planes-55-miles-off-alaska/

Two U.S. F-22 fighter jets intercepted six Russian military airplanes that were flying near Alaska, military officials said Friday.

Lt. Col. Michael Jazdyk, a spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, said the jets intercepted the planes about 55 nautical miles from the Alaskan coast at about 7 p.m. Pacific time Wednesday.

Tensions are high between the United States and Russia as the two countries are increasingly at odds over Ukraine, where Russian-backed insurgents have been fighting for control of parts of the country.

The Russian planes were identified as two IL-78 refueling tankers, two Mig-31 fighter jets and two Bear long-range bombers. They looped south and returned to their base in Russia after the U.S. jets were scrambled.

At about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, two Canadian CF-18 fighter jets intercepted two of the long-range Russian Bear bombers about 40 nautical miles off the Canadian coastline in the Beaufort Sea.

In both cases, the Russian planes entered the Air Defense Identification Zone, which extends about 200 miles from the coastline. They did not enter sovereign airspace of the United States or Canada.

Jazdyk said the fighter jets were scrambled “basically to let those aircraft know that we see them, and in case of a threat, to let them know we are there to protect our sovereign airspace.”

In the past five years, jets under NORAD’s command have intercepted more than 50 Russian bombers approaching North American airspace.

NORAD is a binational American and Canadian command responsible for air defense in North America.russian

‘Oorah!’: The Viral Video of Marines Singing a Popular Christian Worship Song You Just Have to See

Obamacare

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/09/18/hurrah-the-viral-video-of-marines-singing-a-popular-christian-worship-song-you-just-have-to-see/

There’s a feel-good video going viral that shows Marines at Camp Pendleton exuberantly singing “Days of Elijah,” an upbeat Christian worship song about hope and redemption.

The men, who wave their hands in unison sporadically and shout, “Oorah!” as they sing the praise and worship song, were apparently gathered over the weekend for a Christian service at the California military installation.

A description of the video, which was first posted to Facebook Sunday by a woman named Merrie Pardee Baldwin, reads, “Participatory worship. I love how excited the men get to sing this song & the camaraderie.”

Baldwin posted the video again Monday on the Facebook page for the Caruso Memorial Chapel at Camp Pendleton, giving a little more information about the clip’s origins.

“This is one of my favorite things about coming each month for the Faith Warrior service,” she wrote. “I love to see the camaraderie & how participatory worship is. They bless me MUCH more than they know.”

Watch the video below:marines

Faith Warrior services, which unfold Sundays at 7 p.m., are listed on a religious services document published on the Camp Pendleton website.

Stay On Your Side of the Border or These Chicks Will Kill You

The chicks are soldiers in the Caracal, and they fight like girls–kickass girls who’ve been trained and tested the same as their male counterparts–patrolling the border of Isreal and Egypt.

Details h/t: Daily Mail

Based in the Negev desert, the battalion was formed in the year 2000 following mounting public pressure to allow women to serve in combat positions within the Israeli armed forces.

Beware of chicks at the border.
Beware of chicks at the border.

Now, these images have offered an insight into what life is like within the battalion as the soldiers prepare for a graduation march near the Israeli-Egyptian border, near Azoz, Israel, this week.

While the unit is a mixed gender unit, in 2009, about 70 per cent of the unit was female. The women who volunteer to join the unit meanwhile go through the same examinations and challenges as exclusively male battalions.

isreali5
Camouflage make-up being applied.

The unit was named after the caracal, a desert cat that is mainly found across Africa, Central Asia, and Southwest Asia into India, and whose sexes are almost indistinguishable. According to the Israel Defense Forces blog, the unit patrols the border with Egypt, protecting it from ‘smugglers, infiltrators and terrorists.’

In 2012, the Associated Press reported on a deadly shootout along the border between Israel and Egypt which shone a spotlight on the unit.

According to reports, the battalion responded to a militant attack, leaving three gunmen dead, including one who, according to Israeli officials, was killed by a female soldier.

Deadly aim.
Deadly aim.

Following the incident, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boasted of the role carried out by the unit during a weekly Cabinet meeting.

Prior to the year 2000, women had not been allowed to take part in combat – but following growing pressure from the public, the Caracal unit was set up and positioned along Israel’s borders with Jordan and Egypt.

While for years the region remained calm, following the fall of Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak, the Israeli-Egypt border started to see much more conflict.

In April 2012, MailOnline reported how a popular Israeli tourist resort was hit by a rocket attack, which was believed to have been launched by Islamic militants from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.

The year before, gunmen from the Sinai infiltrated into Israel and ambushed vehicles on a desert highway, killing eight Israelis in a brazen, co-ordinated attack.

Israel accused Palestinian militants from Gaza of crossing westward into Sinai, making their way along the Israel-Egypt border and crossing back eastward into Israel to carry out the attack.

Don’t let the ponytails fool you. These women are armed and dangerous to intruders into Israel.

Michelle Obama Claims Her Life Is More Difficult Than A Soldier’s

http://theuspatriot.com/2014/04/25/michelle-obama-claims-her-life-is-more-difficult-than-a-soldiers/

When Michelle was in Fort Campbell, KY, this week, she gave a speech to veterans about finding work after leaving the military. While she spoke, she mentioned that before she campaigned with Barack, she didn’t know much about what life in the military was.

Michelle then went on to contrast her experience with that of Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill, who are Blue Star parents.

“Unlike Jill, I wasn’t a military mom,” the First Lady said, “I didn’t know much about the military, and I was probably more like the average American.”

Michelle described the many meetings she had throughout the campaigns with military families. “Everywhere we went, I heard the voice of a woman that I hadn’t heard before, and it was your voice,” the first lady said, “And I was just awed and blown away by what I heard through those voices, the challenges you all face.”

BS WARNING BS ALERT

Michelle went on to compare her life on the campaign trail with a presidential candidate husband to that of a military wife.Really 01

“Dealing with everything that I was dealing with—a spouse traveling, a job, kids– we didn’t deal with multiple moves, but I learned about the challenges that happen when you move from base to base to base,” Michelle said, “The way your kids have to adjust on a dime. And doing it knowing that the person you love is in harm’s way. And those stories moved me in a way that I didn’t expect.”

A Chilling Reality: the Islamization of Our Military

http://clashdaily.com/2014/03/chilling-reality-islamization-military/#BScV0zuz6wZtFxWL.99

By / 10 March 2014

muslim

Manifestly the Pentagon never received the memo that Islam is at war with Western Civilization. Or, that Islam is a brutally misogynistic ideology bent on the wholesale murder of women who dare show a little ankle.

Oh, and did I forget to mention that its founder, Mohammed–had an unquenchable penchant for little girls?

In short: Islam is evil.

With that established–allow me to enlighten you as to what insanity our Pentagon is currently engaged in. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) just announced that it will be providing our military with chaplains for active-duty service.

That’s right–our Pentagon is allowing ISNA (a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate) to supply the US military with full time chaplains.

Of course, as I have mentioned many times in my articles–organizations such as ISNA and the Muslim Brotherhood represent the true face of Islam. These groups follow the very paradigm set by the Prophet Mohammed. A paradigm, mind you–that gave us jihad, pedophilia, beheadings, genital mutilations and 9/11.

Furthermore, ISNA was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land terrorism trial which involved funneling money to one of the most brutal and infamous Islamic terrorist organizations in the world–Hamas.

Yeah, that’s right–Hamas.

And when questioned by the Clarion Project about its egregious decision concerning ISNA–the Pentagon released the following statement: “The Islamic Society of North America is one of many religious organizations recognized by the Department of Defense that satisfy the ecclesiastical requirements to endorse qualified religious ministry professionals to serve as chaplains within the military.”

I wasn’t aware that having sex with a 9 year old girl was an “ecclesiastical requirement?”

So, to sum it all up: The Pentagon is allowing an organization that is not only a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate–but also a onetime financer of Hamas to supply our military with chaplains.

That deserves a big–WT*!

Couple this with the Pentagon’s other feckless decision to allow Muslim troops to wear hijabs and beards and we are now witnessing the start of a very chilling reality: The Islamization of our military.

A Warrior Notes: The Necessity of Violence

violenceBy Posted by CDToolpusher

ICYMI, the Army’s job is to kill people. That is violence.

From FM 7-8, aka The Infantry Bible, Chapter 1 Section 1 1-1:

“The mission of the infantry is to close with the enemy by means of fire and maneuver to defeat or capture him, or to repel his assault by fire, close combat, and counterattack.”

All other resources in the Army are there to support this. Don’t kid yourselves. The Army is not there to gather intelligence for intelligence’s sake. They’re not there to fly helicopters. They’re definitely not there to cook.

The Army is a defensive/offensive force that prosecutes missions on order from the CIC. Arguments on national interests aside, those missions, more times than not, are of a violent, mortal nature.

The men who feel called to take up the profession understand this, and are willing to not only put themselves in harm’s way, but to also exact violence upon any who threaten them or their brothers. This requires a certain level of courage and a tacit acknowledgement of the nature of their duties.

There was a big push from the outset of the current wars to acknowledge the fact there are no more front lines; that all members of the Army have the potential to see combat first hand.

The DoD even came up with an award for it. A knock off of the Combat Infantrymen’s Badge (an award coveted by all Infantrymen), the Combat Action Badge was designed to reflect the modern nature of warfare. Regardless of how I feel about this award, it exists, and is worn with pride by the men and women who have earned it.

In fact, in Iraq in 2005, a female MP was awarded the Silver Star for her actions in combat. MP is as close as women in the Army can come to being Infantry, and their jobs often times put them in the thick of things. I read the citation that went with the medal and by that account, she deserved it.

It’s a dangerous job not to be undertaken by those faint of heart.

The reason I write this is I’m getting more and more disturbing reports from buddies (men that I served with) that the Army is currently reprimanding soldiers, not to mention outright chaptering them out of the Army, for being too aggressive.

Too aggressive.

Because a passive Infantry/Army wins wars.

I saw this start to take root during our first deployment to Iraq. ( Another story for another day. )

The short of it was my team leaders and soldiers did their jobs and they did them well. There were no investigations. There were no questions as to the righteousness of the shootings, yet there were members of the MP company stationed on our base that called these men baby killers.

Understand, the shootings all involved men well into their 20s. No women. No children. Yet the men and women we were working to protect were calling my men baby killers. To their face.

So, in true Infantrymen fashion one of my Team Leaders responded: “Yes ma’am. Every night in my rack”.

This is not a peaceful world we live in. There are evil, evil people who plot to harm others. They do this with alarming clarity and precision.

To bury your head in the sand and pretend the world is all unicorns and rainbows is folly. To insist that if we were to all just pretend the world is unicorns and rainbows because that will solve all the world’s problems is even worse. In doing so you acknowledge evil exists, yet choose to do nothing about it.

The world is not becoming a kinder and gentler place, and whether you like it or not, George Orwell was right.

“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”

Obama’s military contempt: The outrageous treatment of Clint Lorance

Allen B. West

WASHINGTON, October 14, 2013 – If the fact that the Obama Administration has blocked aging veterans from visiting the World War II memorial and denied death gratuity benefits for fallen warriors doesn’t seem to indicate contempt for our military, how about this most recent story?

A recent case against a young Army soldier shows once again how our military is under fire from all sides here at home.Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance, a 28-year-old combat leader in the 82d Airborne Division from Celeste, Texas was recently found guilty of two counts of murder in Afghanistan and sentenced to 20 years in Ft. Leavenworth.

The story of First Lieutenant Lorance has not been covered by a single major media source.

In July 2012, Lorance was ordered to take command of a platoon in the southern Afghanistan province of Kandahar, a region where I also spent two and a half years training and advising the Afghan National Army. The platoon Lorance now commanded had lost its previous leader to enemy attack.

During a patrol in enemy territory, Lorance ordered a marksman to engage two unarmed Taliban fighters on a motorcycle operating as scout spotters.

In Afghanistan and Iraq, a common enemy tactic is for unarmed fighters on motorcycles with cell phones to track unit movements. In fact, enemy combatants had previously used the tactics against this same platoon.

Lorance, who was operating in a combat zone, saw the scout spotters and assessed them as a threat to his platoon. Aerial surveillance later backed up Lorance’s on-the-ground assessment.

It seems obvious that enemy scouts reporting a unit position and movements in order to facilitate an ambush would define “hostile intent.” But not according to the watered-down Rules of Engagement with which our warriors must contend.

In little more than a year, First Lieutenant Lorance was tried and sentenced to prison. Swift justice to be sure, but why then did it take four years to try and convict Nidal Malik Hasan, who fatally shot 13 and wounded more than 30 during his 2009 rampage at Ft Hood Texas?

The irony of the dilemma currently facing our troops, those who have volunteered to protect and defend our freedoms, is appalling. Shall they fight and kill the enemy but then risk imprisonment because of insidious rules by lawyers?

Or shall they be killed and denied their rightful benefits for their families, because of insidious declarations by lawyers and politicians?

We are sending the wrong message to our enemies, and we are clearly sending the wrong message to those who would sacrifice their lives for our nation.

Shutdown Shame: Denying Troop Death Benefits

Call it a promise placed on hold.

On Saturday, a U.S. Marine was killed in Helmand province. On Sunday, four troops were killed by an IED in southern Afghanistan. Until the shutdown ends, none of their families can expect to receive the “death gratuity” of $100,000 promised to immediately reach them within 24 to 36 hours. Grieving families also cannot expect the military to cover all the usual costs of family travel to meet their loved ones returning home for burial in American flag-draped coffins through Dover Air Force Base. And if the shutdown continues into November, monthly survivor benefits are in jeopardy because the Department of Veterans Affairs has warned it will be out of cash to pay them.

Never before has America faced a government at war and a government shutdown at the same time. Even if much of America forgets the former while enduring the latter, the grim truth of these dueling realities is that they should not coexist given Washington’s central role in prosecuting America’s conflicts.

Now, on the anniversary of America’s longest war, in Afghanistan, a battle that barely brushes against most Americans’ lives, soldiers heading into the fight face greater uncertainty than ever before. That includes the central question of what happens to their families if they don’t make it home.

The death gratuity’s purpose, the Army notes, is to “help the survivors in their readjustment and to aid them in meeting immediate expenses incurred.”  Advocates say that bereaved military families they work with often use the money to cover funeral costs, to pay for family travel and to bridge the sudden end to a spouse’s regular paycheck, which cuts off immediately upon death. Life insurance payments continue to be paid, but those typically take a week or so to arrive and, when they do, come in a book of bank drafts that must be deposited in a bank. The death gratuity, by contrast, arrives by electronic transfer for immediate use.

The Pentagon readily acknowledges the benefits breach, but says its hands are tied.

“We’ve had a number of people die recently and we will be able to pay them, but not until the lapse of appropriation ends,” Pentagon Comptroller Bob Hale said in a phone briefing Friday to explain Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s interpretation of last week’s Pay Our Military Act. “We’re trying to be helpful through aid societies and others to the family members who are involved in these tragic circumstances. But unfortunately, we don’t have the legal authority to make those payments.”

Lawmakers hastily assembled the bill to keep military paychecks coming despite Washington’s shutdown — and to show Congress and the White House’s commitment to America’s troops despite their mistrust of one another. But the measure’s vague language has sown widespread confusion among active duty military and their families as to what the law does and does not cover. All the questions and the death gratuity’s shutdown-induced stoppage have left active duty troops, some of whom ship off to war this very week, to wonder what will happen if they are killed in action, leaving their wives, mothers, children and husbands behind?

After all, the casualties of war do not stop just because Washington does.

“These benefits are in place to help support people who paid the ultimate price in service to their country, and for our families it is really important that these supports be there,” says Ami Neiberger-Miller of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, or TAPS, which advocates on behalf of military families.  Neiberger-Miller’s brother was killed in Iraq six years ago and she remembers how important the death gratuity was to her family at the time. “These benefits were created by design to support people during the most tragic and terrible moments of their life.”

Hale called the situation “heart-rending.” But he said that the Pentagon is simply “not allowed, by law,” to pay the money due families while the government is shut down.

[Read Defense One’s complete coverage of the government shutdown here]

Advocates working overtime to help survivors figure out travel costs and manage the financial unknowns say that families already reeling from the devastation of loss now suffer a second time — this time at the hands of a government failing those who give their lives in its service.

“They are benefits that are promised by our country, by all of us, to these families,” Neiberger-Miller says. “When the serviceman swears that oath that says ‘I will protect and defend,’ we make a promise back to that person that if they do die in service to this country that we will take care of their family.”

Right now Washington seems only to be taking care of itself.

Military Chaplain’s Assistant Threatened By Superior Over Her Expression Of Christian Beliefs

by Frank Camp // http://lastresistance.com/2981/military-chaplains-assistant-threatened-by-superior-over-her-expression-of-christian-beliefs/#teBAs9yd0hhtWjQk.99

As society progresses, we lose small pieces of what made us human. We replace these little pieces with dangerous facsimiles of what originally filled us. Above all else, we lose our sense of moral integrity. What comes with a loss of moral integrity is an animus toward others who still hold values which many have left behind. We reach a certain point—which I fear we are quickly approaching—when that animus evolves into hostility, and that hostility into tyranny. Once we have reached tyranny, we cannot go back; we are trapped behind a glass wall, only able to see in our minds what once was possible, and who we once were. We are no longer humans, but animals, fighting for territory and scraps of food.

As we have progressed, we have lost tolerance. The Left will tell you that they are the most tolerant people the world has ever seen. That is, of course, a lie. The Left is only tolerant of those with whom they agree—which isn’t tolerance at all.

According to Town Hall, a Army Chaplain’s Assistant is being targeted for her religious beliefs. After watching a documentary in which a Pastor was condoning homosexuality, telling his gay parishioners to embrace who they are, the Chaplain’s Assistant posted a response on her personal Facebook page. This is the response in full:

“A lot ticked off, now to all my gay friends you know I care about you so don’t think otherwise. I’m watching this documentary and this gay guy went to a church and the Pastor was telling him that he needs to embrace his way and know that it is not a sin. Ok umm wow, dude it is. I’m sick of people making Gods word what it’s not. Yes God loves you as a person but He hates the sin. Tired of hearing about Pastors being ok with homosexuality.”

In response, her Commander told her to remove the post, or face demotion, and a salary decrease. Her Commander said that she was creating “a hostile and antagonistic environment in the unit.”

The Assistant says that she will not remove the post, and that she will not be intimidated into hiding her beliefs. “I haven’t taken it down, and I won’t take it down…

I’ve never gotten in trouble for anything. And there’s nothing hostile or antagonistic in the post…Where does it stop? If they are going to silence me on Facebook, where will it stop?”

Todd Hudnall, her Colorado Pastor, came to the defense of the Assistant, saying:

“I read what she posted and there was absolutely no trace of animus, disrespect or hostility. Instead, she expressed love for her gay friends but insisted that biblical values should not be compromised. Her issue wasn’t with anyone who is gay but with pastors who refuse to acknowledge scriptural teaching about homosexual behavior…I was struck by the fact that the military was denying her right to privately exercise her freedom of expression and freedom of religion.”

Where is the tolerance on the part of the Military? I can guarantee that if someone of a faith besides Christianity posted something similar to what the Assistant posted, the response would not be the same. That, right there, is intolerance.

Tolerance–in a sense–means dealing with the world around you; it means seeing people for who they are, not what they are. Tolerance means that although you may not agree with someone, you respect them as a human being, and treat them as you would want to be treated. The Military cannot violate freedom of speech. The Assistant has every right to express her beliefs in a way that doesn’t create an uncomfortable environment for her peers. She did that. She respectfully addressed her biblical understanding on her private Facebook page.

Finally, what the Chaplain’s Assistant said is correct. If the Military silences her on Facebook, where and when will they act next? If they can reach their arms into the personal lives of soldiers–specifically and deliberately targeting religious beliefs–what is stopping them from going further? The answer is nothing. Nothing is stopping them. Animus will turn into hostility, and hostility into tyranny.

I don’t care if you agree with the Chaplain’s Assistant or not. I don’t care if you think her beliefs are wrong. If you care about our country, if you care about the future of our liberties, you will stand with her. With this case, a small, fragile piece of our collective freedom is teetering on the edge of a cliff. If it is allowed to fall, it will shatter into a million tiny pieces which we will never be able to put back together. It will be just one more piece of humanity lost, pushing us further toward tyranny.

Extortion 17- Set Up and Cover Up

06 Extortion 17If you haven’t heard of Extortion 17 it’s understandable. For some reason the obama regime has been working real hard to suppress any information regarding this incident and to keep it from getting into the Mainstream Reality TV media. Thankfully, their efforts to cover their involvement in both the incident and the cover up have blown up in their faces. The usual spin, stonewalling, deception and manipulation of events that is a hallmark of the obama regime has fallen short. Congressional hearings are on the way.

A fabricated outrage of synthetic racism can generate only a finite amount of distraction before people begin to tire of the baseless rants and violence. In contrast, this is a real story about real American heroes who paid the ultimate price as a result of the misdeeds committed against them. This is also a story of betrayal. A betrayal by a government of its most dedicated, loyal and faithful public servants. It is a story of systematic treachery against the fallen and against our nation.

Extortion 17 was the call sign for a Chinook helicopter which crashed while conducting a special operations mission in Tangi Joi Zareen, which is in the district of Sayd Abad in Wardak Province, Afghanistan. The crash took place on August 6th, 2011 , reportedly as a result of an RPG strike. It was the largest loss of American lives in a single day in the entire Afghanistan conflict. The circumstances surrounding the crash are suspicious to say the least.

Thirty Eight persons perished in the crash, thirty of those were American service personnel. Fifteen of the fatalities were members of Navy SEAL Team 6, recklessly identified three months earlier by our vice president as the unit which killed Osama Bin Laden. Also among the casualties were two other SEALS, five Navy Special Ops Support Personnel, five Army National Guardsmen and three Air Force Special Ops personnel. Seven Afghan soldiers and one Afghan civilian interpreter were killed as well.

The obama regime and the military establishment would have you believe that this slow-moving, sitting duck Chinook was brought down by the skill or luck of a Taliban fighter under normal battlefield conditions. This is not the case.

There are many abnormalities and deviations from protocol which are suspicious and indicate possible dereliction or criminality on the part of senior leadership involved, both military and civilian.

Some questions regarding these irregularities include:

  • Why was there no suppression of the known enemy positions from which the fatal attack was launched? Extortion 17 attempted a landing 3 ½ hours into an intense firefight.
  • Why transport 25 Seals and special ops troops together in a combat situation in a Chinook helicopter, a slow-moving transport helicopter which was totally inappropriate for this type of engagement?
  • Why was no cover provided through support aircraft at any time, during the mission into a live fire hot zone, in violation of standard protocol?
  • Why did the U.S. Military invite a Muslim imam to pray over (desecrate) the bodies, pronouncing that the “infidels” are lesser than the Muslims, that the Muslims are the winners and that the “infidels” are damned to Hell for eternity?
  • Why is the obama regime silent on the desecration of bodies of American service men but outraged at Koran burnings or service men urinating on dead Taliban?
  • Why were all of the bodies cremated and the explanation given that the bodies were burned beyond recognition when there is photographic evidence that at least some of the victim’s bodies were easily identifiable?
  • Why were the seven Afghani troops originally on the flight changed at the last minute with seven others with no changes made to the flight manifest? Were they part of a plot that brought down the Chinook?
  • Who ordered the Afghani troop change and for what reason?
  • Why were the two flight data recorders supposedly not recovered from the crash site? A claim that a flash flood washed them away was given to the families. If these boxes can be recovered from an ocean bottom, how much of an obstacle can a desert flash flood, if it actually occurred, really be?
  • Intelligence had indicated on May 11th, ten days after the killing of Osama Bin Laden, that over 100 additional Taliban fighters were in the area of the crash seeking specifically to exact revenge for the Bin Laden killing. Yet the military still sent these troops in unprotected into a live firefight. Who made this decision?
  • Why do the rules of engagement place a greater value on the “winning of hearts and minds of the enemy” than on the life of the service man/woman?
  • Why do protocols require the admittedly Taliban infiltrated Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police and Afghan Security Ministry to be involved in all planning of all special operations including flight routes and landing zones? This is the same as giving our operational plans directly to the enemy.
  • What was the urgency that necessitated this last minute operation? Supposedly this was an urgent mission but no explanation or evidence has been provided to indicate why.
  • Why were no members of Afghan military questioned during the investigation or in the writing of the investigative report of the crash? If they are so valuable that they must be included in every planning, one would think they might be valuable in the investigation as well. Perhaps some light could have been shed on the seven mystery Afghan soldiers and the story around the switch.
  •  How did Taliban know on May 11th, ten days after the killing of Bin Laden that seal team six or coalition force as they described it, would be an available target in Tangi Valley? Was it information provided by the Afghan military?
  •  No pathfinders were available in advance of the crash and the drone eye in the sky quit working at the time of the crash. The U.S. military also claims it did not know the identity of the helicopter that crashed for ten minutes. What caused the multi-layered surveillance and communications black out?
  •  After the crash, over one hundred U.S. military troops descended on the area, including pathfinders. Why were they not available before?

These are not my questions. These are the questions of the family members and concerned retired generals, admirals, active congressmen and women, and other high profile Americans who are working tirelessly to bring attention to this injustice.

The obama regime has casually ignored the many scandals that have plagued it in recent weeks and months, dismissing them as phony. They are not phony. The phony is the liar hiding behind a press secretary and hoping this will all just go away.

The administration has belittled, mocked and abused our fighting men and women for five years. They have installed rules of engagement that have undoubtedly resulted in the deaths and disfigurement of many of our troops for the sake of political posturing. Enough is enough. This issue will not go away. It’s time for this illegitimate anti-American regime to be held accountable for their despicable actions. It’s time for these families to be heard.
