Biden Admin Puts Use Of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine On Pause As Six Out Of 7 Million Develop Blood Clots

The Biden administration put a cautionary pause on the use of Johnson & Johnson’s coronavirus vaccine Tuesday after a handful of recipients developed “rare and severe” blood clots. Only 6 out of the nearly 7 million Americans who received Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine developed the blood clots, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Food and Drug Administration recommended the pause “out of an abundance of caution” in a joint statement Tuesday morning.

“In these cases, a type of blood clot called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) was seen in combination with low levels of blood platelets (thrombocytopenia),” Dr. Anne Schuchat, principal deputy director of the CDC and Dr. Peter Marks, director of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research said in the statement. “All six cases occurred among women between the ages of 18 and 48, and symptoms occurred 6 to 13 days after vaccination.“

The statement added that the CDC will convene an advisory meeting on Wednesday to discuss the six cases and offer a determination regarding future use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The White House issued an additional statement to reporters in which coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients claimed the pause would not interrupt the administration’s pace of vaccinations, as Johnson & Johnson vaccines make up “less than 5 percent of the recorded shots in arms in the United States to date.” He added that the government would further surge the distribution of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to make up for the pause and pledged work with “state and federal partners to get anyone scheduled for a J&J vaccine quickly rescheduled for a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine”

Adm. Brett Giroir — one of the Trump administration’s top officials on the Operation Warp Speed vaccine initiative — also called the decision “an appropriate step.” “Such clots occur regularly in the population, so this MAY or MAY NOT be related to the vaccine,” he tweeted Tuesday morning. “That is why the investigation and pause is appropriate.“

AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine, which has not been granted a U.S. Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA, faced similar blood clotting concerns in recent weeks. The European Union briefly paused that vaccine’s use in March, and the United Kingdom has sought to find alternative vaccines to provide to low-risk individuals.

Ecuador Swings RIGHT: Elects Conservative President after Decade of Left Wing Rule

After ten years as the ruling party, the populist left has been defeated in Ecuador.

Businessman Guillermo Lasso, a conservative banker, defeated the protégé of leftist ex-president Rafael Correa, setting the country on a new pro-business path.

“The first action will be to put the economy in order, promote investment and generate employment so that all Ecuadorians do not emigrate, stay in Ecuador and achieve the dreams they want for their families here,” Lasso said at a press conference Monday.

It was an unexpected rise for Lasso who barely won the chance for a runoff with less than 0.5% of the votes. He faced an uphill battle–running against the legacy of President Rafael Correa, a leftist authoritarian leader who governed Ecuador for a decade from 2007 until 2017, when he was sentenced to prison for a corruption scandal.

In the runoff election, Lasso beat Correa’s protégé, Andrés Arauz, a 36-year-old leftist economist. Guillermo Lasso, age 65, received more than 52% of the vote to win the Presidency (his third attempt at the office.) The expectation is that Lasso will be more market friendly and, as such, will likely plan to work with the International Monetary Fund in an effort to stabilize the country’s finances.

Lasso has also promised humane treatment for Venezuelan refugees who are flooding Ecuador, as they are trying to escape poverty and chaos brought about by the Venezuelan socialist experiment.

Chris Wallace Fact-Checks Pete Buttigieg Over Infrastructure During Live Interview — Twice

“Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace challenged Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg directly over his claims about President Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan. Wallace asked Buttigieg about claims that the United States ranked 13th in infrastructure as well as claims that the proposed infrastructure plan would create some 19 million jobs.

“I want to start with a fact-check of how the Biden administration is selling this plan,” Wallace began, noting that several administration officials and Biden himself had claimed that the United States ranked 13th in the world in infrastructure. Wallace went on to point out that many of the countries ranked higher — such as Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates — were too small to truly be comparable.

“Of the 10 largest countries … the U.S. actually ranks first,” Wallace continued. “So secretary, not to say that everything is fine, but why not be straight about the actual conditions here in the U.S. to the American people?”

“Well, the American people already know that our infrastructure needs a lot of work,” Buttigieg replied, arguing that everyone who’s driven on America’s roads and bridges understands the need for a comprehensive plan to fix them.

“We don’t have a lot of work to do to persuade the American people that U.S. infrastructure needs major improvement. The American people already know it and that’s one of the reasons why there is such extraordinary Republican and independent and Democratic support for this package among the American people,” Buttigieg added.

“Not necessarily in Congress, however,” Wallace replied before pivoting to offer up a second fact-check.

“I want to give you another fact-check. All of you in the Biden administration have been selling this plan as a huge jobs creator,” Wallace said, sharing a video of Buttigieg from a week earlier touting the plan and claiming that it would create 19 million jobs. “But it turns out the study you are citing from Moody’s Analytics says the economy will add 16.3 million jobs without the infrastructure bill and 2.7 million more with it. So it doesn’t, as you said last Sunday, create 19 million jobs. Again, Secretary Buttigieg, why mislead folks?”

“You’re right, I should have been more precise,” Buttigieg agreed, saying that the real takeaway was that there would be more jobs created with the plan than without it.

“Two million, not 19 million,” Wallace pushed back.

“According to that Moody’s analysis, 2.7 million additional jobs if we pass this package — just further proof that it’s good for the economy and taken as a whole it’s going to add jobs compared to doing nothing,” Buttigieg repeated his point, prompting Wallace to ask whether it was fair to say that he and others within the administration had “exaggerated the jobs impact.”

“Look, there are a lot of different analyses about just how many million jobs this is going to create,” Buttigieg pushed back, but Wallace interrupted.

“Secretary, you’re the one who cited Moody’s Analytics as 19 million and it’s actually 2.7 million, which is a bunch, but it’s not what you said,” he said.

“It’s part of a scenario that Moody’s says will create 19 million jobs,” Buttigieg insisted, once again repeating that the real message was that passing the plan would ultimately create more jobs than not passing it. “Why wouldn’t we want America to create 2.7 million more jobs?”

‘They Sit There And Plot Constantly’: Former Intelligence Officer Says Terrorists Exploit Biden’s ‘Weak’ Border Policies

A former military intelligence analyst warned Saturday that terrorists are plotting to exploit the border crisis and take advantage of President Joe Biden’s policies, which he criticized as “weak.”

“They are constantly plotting to conduct attacks against Americans and harm Americans,” Brett Velicovich told Fox News’ “Watters’ World.” “It’s natural for them to think of ways that they can infiltrate this border. And when they see the weak policies on behalf of the Biden administration, I mean what an opportunity for them to come in.”

“All it takes is one of these terrorists to infiltrate our border to be able to wreak havoc across the United States,” Velicovich continued. “The disappointing fact of all this is that the Biden administration loves to deny this border crisis. They love to downplay this terrorism threat along the southern border.”

Customs and Border Protection announced Monday that it had detained two Yemeni men who were on the FBI’s terrorism watch list. The two illegally crossed into the United States in January and March.

“How many more are coming across the border that we don’t know?” Velicovich asked Saturday, suggesting the Biden administration “just whistled past” this incident “as if there’s nothing to see there.”

The former military intelligence officer said counter-terrorist experts and intelligence personnel agree that “these transnational organized crime groups, these terrorist elements … they are looking to target weak gaps in our infrastructure. They are constantly trying to exploit porous borders.”

He suggested that terrorists would obviously be “looking at all of these weak immigration policies of the Biden administration” in order to find opportunities and exploit it to their advantage.

Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Tom Homan said on Apr. 2 that the border has become “a national security crisis” as Border Patrol agents were too busy with migrant children to stop drug smugglers.

On March 21, Biden suggested his administration could bring back the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.

Wyoming Governor Signs Bill that Requires Voter ID at Polling Station

Republican Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon signed House Bill 75 into law Tuesday that requires Wyoming voters to present a valid ID before casting a vote. This voter ID bill, primarily sponsored by Rep. Chuck Gray, will be effective on July 1. The new bill requires Wyoming voters to show one of the following forms of valid ID in order to vote at the polls:

A Wyoming driver’s license as defined by W.S. 31‑7‑102(a)(xxv)
A tribal identification card issued by the governing body of the Eastern Shoshone tribe of Wyoming, the Northern Arapaho tribe of Wyoming or other federally recognized Indian tribe
A Wyoming identification card issued under W.S. 31‑8‑101
A valid United States passport
A United States military card
A valid Medicare or Medicaid insurance card (wouldn’t be valid after Dec. 31, 2029)
A driver’s license or identification card issued by any state or outlying possession of the United States
Photo identification issued by the University of Wyoming, a Wyoming community college or a Wyoming public school

Rep. Dan Zwonitzer, a Republican, believed the bill will not suppress anyone’s vote because of amendments added to it that allow voters to use alternate forms of ID, such as a Wyoming student ID, Medicare ID or a tribal ID card, according to the Oil City News in Casper, Wyo.

Earlier this month, the Georgia state Senate passed S.B. 202 that included commonsense measures like tightening procedures for polling locations and requiring voters to present identification to request and cast absentee ballots.

Democratic allies like Apple, Delta, MLB, and other companies have charged that the bill is voter suppression fueled by white supremacy, using the default accusation that has become their Pavlovian response to all Republican-initiated legislation.

Face masks are polluting the world’s beaches and oceans, pose potential health risks to humans: ‘Really concerning’

This month marks the anniversary of San Francisco implementing the first face mask mandate in the United States. Since then, nearly all states have implemented mask mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic. By October, 93% of Americans said they sometimes, often, or always wear a mask or face covering when they leave their home and are unable to socially distance.

“Humanity is going through 129 billion face masks a month, which works out to three million a minute,” according to Big Think.

With large populations of the world using masks regularly as a health precaution against coronavirus, it has had an unintended consequence – pollution. The Ocean Conservancy released new data detailing how personal protective equipment has polluted beaches and oceans all over the planet. Volunteers who were cleaning beaches all over the world tracked the number of PPE they found on the shore. From late July until December 2020, volunteers collected 107,219 items of personal protective equipment from beaches and waterways worldwide.

The Ocean Conservancy notes that the number is “likely a vast undercount of what was and remains out there” because many volunteers recorded discarded PPE as “Personal Hygiene” or “Other Trash.”

“The amount of personal hygiene litter recorded in the app between January and July 2020 was three times higher than what was recorded in that same time period for each of the previous three years despite significantly lower participation levels due to the pandemic lockdowns.”

The report found that 94% of the volunteers encountered PPE pollution during their cleanup efforts, and over 80% of respondents identified face masks as the most common waste PPE. There were 37% of cleanup participants who reported PPE in waterways.

“This is the first time we have some very hard evidence to shed a spotlight on the magnitude of the PPE component of the plastic pollution issue, and really underscores how this is a new additive component to our existing global crisis,” Nick Mallos, senior director for the group’s Trash Free Seas program, told KING-TV.
“This was not a typical type of litter that we saw more than a year ago,” said Amber Smith, litter prevention coordinator for the Washington Department of Ecology. “This is a brand-new thing related to COVID, and it’s really concerning.”

Volunteers with New Jersey’s Clean Ocean Action environmental group removed 1,113 masks and other pieces of coronavirus-related protective gear from New Jersey beaches last fall.

A report from OceansAsia from last year estimated nearly 1.6 billion face masks flooded the oceans in 2020. The group suspects that discarded face masks would result in an additional 4,680 to 6,240 metric tons of marine plastic pollution. The Hong Kong-based marine conservation organization claims that the face masks would take as long as 450 years to break down.

“Most of these face mask wastes contains either polypropylene and/or polyethylene, polyurethane, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polyacrylonitrile, which add plastic or microplastic pollution to the environment,” ScienceDirect reports.

Single-use face masks are believed to be a source of microplastic pollution, which could pose health risks to humans.

“A newer and bigger concern is that the masks are directly made from microsized plastic fibers (thickness of ~1 to 10 micrometers),” according to a study by doctors Elvis Genbo Xu of the University of Southern Denmark and Zhiyong Jason Ren of Princeton. “When breaking down in the environment, the mask may release more micro-sized plastics, easier and faster than bulk plastics like plastic bags. Such impacts can be worsened by a new-generation mask, nanomasks, which directly use nano-sized plastic fibers (with a diameter smaller than 1 micrometer) and add a new source of nanoplastic pollution.”
“Single-use polymeric materials have been identified as a significant source of plastics and plastic particle pollution in the environment,” another study claimed. “Disposable face masks (single use) that get to the environment (disposal in landfill, dumpsites, freshwater, oceans or littering at public spaces) could be emerging new source of microplastic fibers, as they can degrade/fragment or break down into smaller size/pieces of particles under 5 mm known as microplastics under environmental conditions.”

“Obviously, PPE is critical right now, but we know that with increased amounts of plastic and a lot of this stuff getting out into the ocean, it can be a really big threat to marine mammals and all marine life,” said Adam Ratner, an educator at the Marine Mammal Center, a conservation group that rescues and rehabilitates mammals.
“It is noted that face masks are easily ingested by higher organisms, such as fishes, and microorganisms in the aquatic life which will affect the food chain and finally chronic health problems to humans,” one study noted.
“Researchers believe masks could compound that issue, as the spun plastic fibers break down into smaller and smaller particles that evade filters,” KING-TV reported. “Small fibers and particles are widely found in drinking water, and such contamination can bio-accumulate in marine life, causing problems for the creatures themselves, and those higher up the food chain that consume them.”

A 2019 report by Australia’s University of Newcastle found that the largest source of plastic ingestion by humans were drinking water and eating shellfish.

“Plastic pollution is so widespread in the environment that you may be ingesting five grams a week, the equivalent of eating a credit card,” Reuters reported.
“Because research into microplastics is so new, there’s not yet enough data to say exactly how they’re affecting human health, says Jodi Flaws, a professor of comparative biosciences and associate director of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Toxicology Program at the University of Illinois,” according to a 2019 report from the Washington Post. “Flaws says microplastic particles can also accumulate polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), other chemicals that are linked to harmful health effects, including various cancers, a weakened immune system, reproductive problems and more.”

The article warns that microplastics can disrupt hormones and reduce fertility. Another issue is that disposable masks can’t be recycled with typical recyclables, which makes disposing of PPE even more challenging.

“Used correctly PPE saves lives; disposed of incorrectly it kills marine life,” said Cindy Zipf, the executive director of New Jersey’s Clean Ocean Action. “PPE litter is a gross result of the pandemic, and 100% avoidable. Use PPE properly, then dispose of it properly in a trash can. It’s not hard and it’s the least we can do for this marvel of a planet we all live on, not to mention ourselves.”

Whether it is a Syrian Muslim gunning down “Trump supporters” in Colorado, the attack near the Capitol by a Nation of Islam supporter, the change in laws that protect police in New York, or the campaign against the state of Georgia, we must acknowledge the widespread assault on the conservative, Christian community. I use the phrase “White America,” though ironically we are comprised of all ethnicities and races but united in our stand for biblical and democratic values that are the foundation of our country. The radical left characterizes us as “angry white people” so they can garner support for the vilification of our principles as part of a broader scheme to undermine our way of life. It is critical that we do not look at each of these issues as separate unrelated events when each of them is a critical aspect of how insidious movements weaken traditional social structures.

For over two decades, I researched and published about how these nearly identical tactics are used by radical Islamists to transform the Middle East, South Asia, and to a lesser extent, even parts of Europe. For over 50 years, radical Islamists have used outright violence, political upheaval, and large public campaigns to dramatically alter relatively tolerant societies into oppressive countries that eliminate personal liberties and freedom to practice any religion other than radical Islam. Most prominently, we see the results of their efforts in countries like Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt where Christians are either driven out completely or suffer tremendous persecution. In Europe, I personally visited distinct neighborhoods in London and the Netherlands where non-Muslims are driven out and the immigrants are so isolated from mainstream society that their communities seem to be parts of a foreign country.

Islamists have engaged in similar campaigns here in the US, successfully creating a group of homegrown terrorists and political organizations that seek to affect US policy, but their efforts remained marginal. The Judeo-Christian principles that govern American society and its legal system, coupled with a strong law enforcement apparatus, have been the bulwark against any ideological movement fundamentally changing American society.

However, the assault on “White America” that unites Islamists and the radical Left is particularly dangerous, not only because it has followers capable of terrorizing the population, they also have tacit support from the Biden administration, local and state lawmakers, and a large portion of mainstream society. Together these two movements have the power to murder opponents and sabotage traditional legal and political structures.

The recently enacted law eliminating qualified immunity for the New York Police Department is an important example of this assault. The City Council said in a statement that it passed a bill creating a local civil right protecting the city’s residents against unreasonable search and seizures, excessive force, and a ban on the use of qualified immunity as a defense^[1]. The general public thinks this is valuable to reduce police brutality cases but many are not considering the broader ramification of this dramatic change. From my personal experience working with NYPD for years on counter-terrorism cases, it’s difficult enough to engage in the complex legal world of law enforcement and investigations, but this legislation will make the police department even more hesitant about programs and procedures that could potentially bring civil action against the department. Though the extent of its current application is unknown, this law could dismantle the massive counterterrorism effort in place after 9-11 because terror suspects would cripple the police by filing countless lawsuits that protest ongoing investigations, allegations of unreasonable searches, and arrests under the guise of discrimination against Muslims.

Anyone who has ever been in a legal battle can tell you, the greatest consequence of lawsuits is not who wins or loses but the emotional and financial drain of fighting them. It creates many opportunities for abuse and though this bill doesn’t impose direct liability for the officers, it puts their jobs at risk when a lawsuit is brought against the department for their conduct. It will limit the pool of good quality candidates in policing because they would fear the unbridled public scrutiny. It is clearly a mechanism to harass and intimidate white officers and even Christians by accusing them of engaging in discriminatory practices. Simply put, it will weaken the structure of our law enforcement as we know it, which is exactly what destructive social movements seek to do.

The orchestrated boycott and vilification of Georgia is another alarming example of how these movements operate. We are seeing mainstream social structures such as corporations like Coca-Cola, Major League Baseball, as well as President Joe Biden himself supporting the effort to isolate and punish Georgia for creating voting restrictions^[2]. The law protects the integrity of the voting system but it’s being purposely mischaracterized as racial discrimination to inflame the emotions of the public and cause financial harm, which they hope will force the legislature to retract it. The radical left is using social and financial coercion to compromise the sanctity of how we vote in this country. The threat this poses to the future of America as we know it cannot be overstated. Just ask immigrants from Venezuela what happens when an ideological movement has the power to change political safeguards. The result is catastrophic.

Ideological movements like socialism, communism, or Islamism wear away at the fabric of a society in order to supplant it with a new and dominant ideology. This can only be accomplished by first dismantling the existing strongholds — traditional institutions like houses of worship, schools, political structures, and law enforcement. I have published reports detailing this phenomenon as it relates to Pakistan, Southeast Asia, Egypt, Europe, and the US, but I never thought I would see the same patterns gaining prominence in the US, with the help of large portions of the American people. The alliance of the radical left with Islamists is a dream come true for Islamists because it gives them a national platform and credibility that was impossible on their own.

There has never been a more important time for Christians to defend our way of life. Not only are we facing physical violence at the local store as we saw with the Colorado shooter or the attack near the Capitol, but our law enforcement and political structures are at risk. Remember, the Lord warned us of such times when He said:

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.^[3]

We cannot ignore this assault on our way of life and we should be compelled to defend the values we believe in. The Apostles faced far worse in defense of the Gospel. They were persecuted, isolated and even tortured but they did not waiver because the Lord told us it would happen. “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you^“[4]. Yet they knew, as we should know now, it was their obligation as Christ followers to preach the Gospel so that others would be saved, regardless of the personal consequences. As the Apostle Paul said, “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of…” ^[5]

Biden’s six executive actions include:

The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.”
The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act.
The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states: Red flag laws allow family members or law enforcement to petition for a court order temporarily barring people in crisis from accessing firearms if they present a danger to themselves or others.
The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.
The Justice Department will issue an annual report on firearms trafficking.
The President will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

This is just the beginning of Joe Biden’s war on the Second Amendment.

Joe Biden and ICE are converting seven more hotels into living quarters for illegal migrant families. The hotels in Arizona and Texas will be used to house Joe Biden’s illegal border crossers — and you get to pay for it!

According to a report from Washington Examiner:

On Friday, families will be moved into a Best Western in El Paso, which ICE had dubbed “Casa Estrella” or “Star House.” The hotel is making at least 186 beds available for families. The building is located next to a Starbucks and 2 miles south of El Paso International Airport.

The Biden Administration is using a Best Western and a Comfort Inn up the road near El Paso, Texas.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is taking over seven hotels near the southern border starting Friday as the federal agency begins placing migrant families released from Border Patrol custody into the hotels.

Hundreds of people who illegally came over the U.S.-Mexico border with a family member will be placed in hotels in El Paso, Texas, and Chandler, Arizona, this Friday as the Biden administration spends tens of millions of dollars to house people despite having its own holding centers, according to internal documents reviewed by the Washington Examiner. ICE has not revealed whether the families will be sent back to their home countries or released into the United States.

The Biden administration faces a growing problem at the border, where more people are coming across between land ports of entry than during the 2019 humanitarian crisis. U.S. authorities had been returning all children, families, and adults to Mexico since the start of the coronavirus pandemic last March, but a change in Mexican law has blocked the return of families with young children who come into the U.S. through South Texas. As a result, families must be taken into custody, but the Biden administration is struggling to house everyone.

New York Will Offer One-Time Payments of Up to $15,600 to Illegal Aliens Who Lost Work During Pandemic

New York lawmakers carved out a $2.1 billion Covid fund for illegal aliens who lost work during the pandemic. This is by far the largest in the country and dwarfed California’s $75 million give away to illegals last year. The fund is part of a larger state budget agreement that will offer one-time payments of up to $15,600 to illegals.

If the illegal alien is unable to provide any kind of documentation, they will still be given $3,200 – the same amount of money Americans were given in Covid stimulus checks approved by Congress.

According to the Pew Research Center, there are approximately 750,000 illegal aliens living in New York state.

New York lawmakers struck a deal this week to establish a $2.1 billion coronavirus relief fund for undocumented immigrants and other unemployed workers who were ineligible for federal aid during the pandemic.
The fund, which was announced as part of a broader $212 billion state budget agreement, will offer one-time payments of up to $15,600 to undocumented immigrants who lost their jobs during the virus-induced crisis.
“This nation’s economy has long been built on the backs of our undocumented workforce, and their essential labor that has helped keep our nation running throughout this pandemic,” New York State Sen. Jessica Ramos, a proponent of the fund, said in a statement.

In modern America, we periodically offer up white men as human sacrifices to the PC gods. Among our benefactions: Jake Gardner, Kyle Rittenhouse, Darren Wilson, the Duke lacrosse players, University of Virginia fraternity members, Stacey Koon and Mark Fuhrman.

The rest of us just keep our heads down and pray we won’t be next.

At least the Duke and UVA human offerings were sufficiently upper-crust to have a few journalists and lawyers defending them. But policemen, bar owners, military veterans and a Midwest teenager? Definitely not our crowd, darling.

Currently, Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is on trial for killing George Floyd by kneeling on his neck, as it appeared in cellphone videos. You may remember something about this: It’s why America had to burn in 2020.

But the chief medical examiner’s report establishes that, however else Floyd died, it wasn’t from Chauvin’s knee. Oopsie! I guess it wasn’t absolutely essential that our country go through eight months of looting, riots and mostly peaceful arsons.

In lieu of citing some B.S. media “fact check,” I shall quote directly from the autopsy report by the Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner, Andrew Baker:

“No life-threatening injuries identified —

“A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae

“B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal structures

“C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries

“D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column injuries, or visceral injuries

“E. Incision and subcutaneous dissection of posterior and lateral neck, shoulders, back, flanks, and buttocks negative for occult trauma”

In short: No bloodshot eyes and no trauma to any part of Floyd’s neck.

And yet, day after day, prosecutors, witnesses and the media tell us that Chauvin “squeezed the life out of” Floyd. The medical evidence establishes that whatever else caused his death, it was NOT asphyxiation.

That’s the entire case against Officer Chauvin! But the howling mob isn’t giving up its holy religious observance because of one dork in a lab coat. The sun might not rise! The city of Minneapolis could be wiped out! Wait — that might actually happen.

The medical examiner also found that Floyd had enough fentanyl in his system — I don’t want to say “to kill a horse,” because that would be a cliche. But it would be enough to bump off an entire team of Budweiser Clydesdales. In technical medical jargon:

“A. Blood drug and novel psychoactive substances screens:

“1. Fentanyl 11 ng/mL”

That’s just the first few words of the “Toxicology” section. Also listed are norfentanyl, 4-ANPP, methamphetamine, cannabinoids, amphetamines, morphine and so on.

But the 11 nanograms per milliliter of fentanyl is rather important, inasmuch as the chief medical examiner called this “a fatal level of fentanyl under normal circumstances,” saying, “deaths have been certified with levels of 3.”

Three. But George Floyd went up to 11.

Naturally, Baker was quick to add, “I am not saying this killed him.” Please don’t throw me to the woke gods! Leave me to my test tubes! (And you thought lawyers were craven.)

I have a feeling we’re about to see another example of the left not accepting science.

In addition to liberals refusing to accept the science of:

— DNA (the O.J. trial)

— AIDS (we’re still waiting for that big heterosexual outbreak!)

— Cancer clusters and breast implants (billions of dollars wasted and companies destroyed because of the left’s adherence to junk science)

— I.Q. (just watch the reaction to my mentioning this hate-science) …

… we can now add “pharmacology”!

You mean to say that just by sticking a syringe in someone’s arm you can tell if he’s been taking drugs? That’s a lot of mumbo-jumbo, just like the moon landing.

This trial is a total sham, but the entire power of the state, the media, the left-wing shock troops and the country’s finest legal talent is being deployed against Derek Chauvin.

In addition to Minnesota’s top prosecutor, the state has hired Neal Katyal, former solicitor general of the United States — an unheard-of maneuver in a case that doesn’t involve some highly technical specialty, like antitrust. A slew of lawyers are working pro bono for the prosecutor — also unheard of. The state has unlimited resources to pursue Chauvin.

Against this, Chauvin has one lone defense attorney, Eric “Atticus Finch” Nelson. The Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association’s legal defense fund will put up to $1 million toward his defense, and Nelson can talk to the other rotating attorneys whom the fund employs. But unless they’re working pro bono, too, $1 million runs out pretty fast.

The legal mismatch in the O.J. Simpson case wasn’t this one-sided.

In the middle of jury selection, the city of Minneapolis announced an eye-popping civil settlement of $27 million with the family of George Floyd. Liberals are still denouncing Richard Nixon for a 1970 speech in which he inadvertently described defendant Charles Manson as someone who was “guilty, directly or indirectly, of eight murders” — leading to demands for a mistrial.

What does a $27 million settlement with the family of the alleged victim say?

Black residents of Minneapolis are threatening to burn the place down if Chauvin isn’t convicted — and the only reason anyone thinks a jury could possibly return a guilty verdict is that they believe them.

In the darkest days of Jim Crow, the entire country never ganged up on a single individual like this.

Please, gods of wokeness, we ask that his human sacrifice be acceptable!

Throw another virgin into the volcano.

MLB Will Move All-Star Game to Denver Where a Photo ID Is Also Required to Vote and Drink Beer at Coors Field

Major League Baseball expanded its contract with the Chinese firm Tencent, which has significant ties to the Chinese Communist Party. The announcement was made on April 1st. On April 2nd Major League Baseball moved the All-Star Game out of Georgia after state leaders passed a new election law that requires a photo ID to vote absentee in the state. MLB said it was undemocratic.

What frauds.

MLB will announce on Tuesday that this year’s All-Star Game will be moved to Coors Field in Denver, according to a report told to USA TODAY Sports.

The game will be played at Coors Field where a photo ID is required to drink Coors.

Colorado also requires a photo ID or a similar identifying document to vote.

GOP Congressman Says Fauci Needs To Answer For Why His Agency Bypassed Oversight Of Funding To Wuhan Lab

Republican Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania said it is “very concerning” that the federal infectious disease research organization led by Dr. Anthony Fauci bypassed federal oversight of a grant that funded a lab in Wuhan, China to genetically modify bat-based coronaviruses. Infectious disease experts say the National Institutes of Allergies and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID) grant with the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance, which involved the transfer of $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), described scientists conducting gain-of-function research on SARS-like viruses to make them even more contagious. But a federal oversight board created in 2017 to scrutinize such research was not notified of the grant because the NIAID opted against forwarding it for review, the Daily Caller News Foundation previously reported.

“When it comes to oversight of U.S. tax dollars headed to the Chinese Communist Party, Dr. Fauci seems like he’s literally whistling past the graveyard,” Perry told the DCNF.

The WIV is at the center of widespread speculation that COVID-19 could have accidentally leaked from its lab into the human population. A World Health Organization investigation into the origins of the pandemic concluded in late March that it was “extremely unlikely” that the virus could have escaped from a lab. But WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said his organization’s assessment of the lab leak theory was not sufficient and that further investigation was necessary.

The Department of Health and Human Service created the Potential Pathogens Control and Oversight (P3CO) review framework in late 2017 following a three-year federal funding moratorium on gain-of-function research. Had the EcoHealth grant been subjected to P3CO review, an HHS panel would have independently evaluated the grant and, if necessary, recommended additional biocontainment measures to prevent potential lab leaks — or even recommended that the grant be denied entirely.

Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard H. Ebright previously told the DCNF that NIAID’s ability to sidestep the P3CO framework is a “systemic problem“. Ebright said the offices of the director for NIAID and the National Institutes of Health have “systematically thwarted — indeed systematically nullified — the HHS P3CO Framework by declining to flag and forward proposals for review.”

EcoHealth president Peter Daszak, who was the only American member of the WHO’s investigation into COVID-19’s origins, spoke about how easy it was to manipulate bat-based coronaviruses during a podcast interview filmed just weeks before the first cases were reported in Wuhan.

An NIH spokesperson previously told the DCNF that NIAID did not flag the EcoHealth grant for independent review because it did not meet the frameworks’ definition of gain-of-function research.

Perry, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told the DCNF he will call for Fauci to testify about why his agency did not flag the EcoHealth grant for P3CO review.

“We seem so cavalier about this approval paradigm for this funding and the definitions seemingly allow you to drive a truck through them regarding what is gain-of-function research and what isn’t,” Perry said. “It seems to me this was done by design to allow this kind of research to be done in these kinds of places without any kind of scrutiny. And this is the result of that.”

Perry said there is a great deal of interest among his Republican colleagues to probe the federal government’s funding of gain-of-function research in China, but added he wasn’t optimistic that Democrats, who control the House, would allow such a hearing.

“I won’t be surprised after requesting to bring these folks in as witnesses have an open hearing about it that those things fail to ever occur. I won’t be surprised,” Perry said. “In the minority, we can’t force it. If they’re not going to allow it or to pursue it, then it just won’t happen in the House side.”

We reported earlier that BLM members were present at the Georgia state Capitol last week and they were armed and dangerous. Now we know that one of the members is known as National Assistance Minister of Defense, Brother AJ. He has been pictured at other events as well, armed and ready. Brother AJ and his friends are supporters of Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Staci Abrams.

If these people wore MAGA hats they’d be in jail.

Chinese Christians tortured in ‘brainwashing’ camps: ‘Death starts to look better’

Christians in China are being detained in secretive, mobile “transformation” facilities where they’re subject to brainwashing, torture and beatings to force them to renounce their faith, a new report has revealed.

Li Yuese, a member of an underground “house church” in the southwestern province of Sichuan, told Radio Free Asia he was held in a facility run by the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s United Front Work Department for 10 months after a raid on his church in 2018.

“It was a mobile facility, that could just set up in some basement somewhere,” Li recalled. “It was staffed by people from several different government departments. It had its own (CCP) political and legal affairs committee working group, and they mainly target Christians who are members of house churches,” he said.

Li said he was held in a windowless room with no ventilation and prohibited from going outside during the time he was held captive in the facility. There, he was subjected to various forms of torture, from beatings to mental manipulation.

“They threaten, insult and intimidate you. These were United Front officials, men, women, sometimes unidentified, usually in plain clothes. The police turn a blind eye to this,” he said.
“You have to accept the statement they prepare for you. If you refuse, you will be seen as having a bad attitude and they will keep you in detention and keep on beating you.”

Li said most of his fellow inmates were also people who had been released on bail during criminal detention for taking part in church-related activities. Because police couldn’t prosecute them for any particular crimes, they were sent to the so-called “transformation” facilities.

“They were using brainwashing methods on those of us who were on bail from the detention center,” he said. “It was in a secret location, in a basement. There is no time limit for the brainwashing process. I don’t know the longest time anyone has been held there, but I was detained for eight or nine months. You can’t see the sun, so you lose all no concept of time.”

The Christian said suicidal ideation and self-harm were not uncommon in the facility due to the continuous torture inmates endured.

“I couldn’t sleep; after you’ve been in there a week, death starts to look better than staying there,” Li said. “I bashed myself against the wall to self-harm.”
“One time in there, I was groggy and was trying to open my eyes but I couldn’t,” he said. “Four or five of them grabbed me by the arms and legs and pinned me to the ground. They injected me with some drug, and brought me back to consciousness.”

When he was finally released, Li said he was in extremely poor health and remains haunted by the experience.

Another Christian told RFA that similar facilities are being used across China, made specifically for Christians, members of the underground Catholic church, and of the Falun Gong spiritual movement.

A lawyer surnamed Zhang from the northern province of Hebei, who previously represented a number of former detainees who are Catholics, said that instead of pursuing criminal charges against the religious practitioners, the CCP simply “disappeared” them.

“Some were sent back home after five or six years, and that was how people learned about the brainwashing centers — from their accounts,” Zhang said, adding he believes such facilities have been running for a long time around China.

Open Doors ranks China at No. 17 on its World Watch List of 50 countries where Christians are most persecuted.

Churches are being monitored and closed down across the country, whether they are underground or part of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, the officially sanctioned Protestant church in China. The government has also imposed a ban on the online sale of Bibles and uses high-tech surveillance to oppress and monitor believers.

Other crackdowns on Christians have involved ordering Christians to renounce their faith and replace displays of Jesus with portraits of Chairman Mao and President Xi Jinping, as well as the ongoing demolition of churches.

Boyd-MacMillan, director of Strategic Research at Christian charity Open Doors, recently told the Express UK that the CCP is becoming increasingly concerned about the Christian population’s growth and is cracking down on religion as a result.

“We think the evidence as to why the Chinese Church is so targeted, is that the leaders are scared of the size of the Church and the growth of the Church,” Boyd-MacMillan said.
“And if it grows at the rate that it has done since 1980, and that’s about between 7 [percent] and 8 percent a year, then you’re looking at a group of people that will be 300 million strong, nearly by 2030. And, you know, the Chinese leadership, they really do long term planning, I mean, their economic plan goes to 2049, so this bothers them. Because I think if the Church continues to grow like that, then they’ll have to share power.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has formally dismissed the controversial Trump-era Commission on Unalienable Rights, which sought to elevate the promotion of religious freedom worldwide. Blinken, who vowed to promote LGBT rights worldwide during his confirmation hearings, only briefly alluded to religious persecution in a press conference unveiling the 45th State Department country reports on human rights practices last Tuesday.

The annual human rights reports comprehensively cover internationally recognized individual, civil, political and worker rights outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international agreements in nearly 200 countries and territories.

In his remarks during the press conference, Blinken referred indirectly to former Secretary Mike Pompeo’s Commission on Unalienable Rights and dismissed the Trump-era commission, which was a panel of experts formed in 2019 who argued in a report last July that religious freedom and the right to property were more important human rights.

Pompeo praised the report as one that “reorients us back to the foundational unalienable rights that we are bound to protect.”
“There is no hierarchy that makes some rights more important than others,” Blinken said. “Past unbalanced statements that suggest such a hierarchy, including those offered by a recently disbanded State Department advisory committee, do not represent a guiding document for this administration.”

At the time, pro-abortion and pro-LGBT groups derided the commission as trying to devalue “women’s rights” and LGBT rights. Pompeo argued at the time that the commission was formed as “International institutions designed and built to protect human rights have drifted from their original mission.”

Travis Weber, vice president for policy and government affairs and director of the Center for Religious Liberty at the Christian conservative activist organization Family Research Council, told The Christian Post that the repudiation of the Commission on Unalienable Rights is “an unfortunate development.” Weber argues that it diminishes religious freedom.

“This signifies the downgrading of the role of religious freedom in foreign policy and frankly, domestically as well because the commission had elevated the role of religious freedom and articulated its role as an important human right,” Weber said. A Message from
“So, that’s a negative development in our view that the Biden administration is seeking to put all international human rights on the same level. Certain human rights are more important than others and religious freedom is one of them.”

The commission created in July 2019 sought to define human rights since the definition had “drifted” through the years to accommodate abortion and LGBT rights. Despite backlash from LGBT advocates, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom praised the commission.

In his press conference, Blinken said all human rights are “co-equal.”

“At my confirmation hearing, I promised that the Biden-Harris administration would repudiate those unbalanced views [of the previous administration],” he said. “We do so decisively today.”

Weber also pointed out how Blinken’s remarks failed to highlight religious persecution worldwide despite the serious issues.

“Christian girls in Pakistan [are] being forced to convert in forced marriages. The Uyghur community in China is certainly being persecuted. I am glad he mentioned that, but there’s also persecution of Christians in China, … and Christians and any others in North Korea,” Weber stressed.
“The situation of many Muslim-majority countries around the world, including Iran, is very dire. Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria almost weekly, it seems, and there is no mention of that. So, when we look at the horrific atrocities and human rights violations going on around the world, religious persecution is among them, and it’s totally disappointing that he’s not highlighting that [in his remarks].”

Weber said these are human rights violations that deserve President Biden’s attention. He hopes the administration “reverses its course.”

“By elevating other human rights on par with religious freedom, you’re diminishing the importance of religious persecution and sending the signal that it’s not that important when people are being slaughtered around the world because of their faith,” Weber said. “This is unfortunate because it is important, and it does deserve more attention than a lot of other concerns and rights when you look at the international sphere.”

Matias Perttula, director of advocacy for International Christian Concern, a religious persecution advocacy organization based in the U.S., also expressed concern.

“We at ICC welcome the progress that the State Department has made on promoting religious freedom and human rights around the world,” Perttula said in a statement. “However, we remain concerned whether the Biden administration is still committed to putting religious freedom as a central principle in the United States’ foreign policy priorities. We look forward to working with the State Department in ensuring that this vital right is protected for all.”

Blinken did call out human rights violations in China through the “genocide” of Uyghur Muslims and ethnic and religious minority groups in the Xinjiang province. He also condemned the attack or imprisonment of opposition politicians, anti-corruption activists or independent journalists in places like Russia, Uganda and Venezuela.

His remarks also called out violence against protestors in Belarus, abuses afflicted in Yemen, atrocities committed in Ethiopia, the executions and tortures committed by the Syrian regime and widespread violations by Burma’s security forces, among human rights violations in other nations.

Blinken pointed out how some autocratic governments have used COVID-19 to further repress human rights, saying this disproportionately impacts racial and ethnic minorities, those with disabilities or LGBT individuals. Blinken also highlighted the heightened gender-based violence toward women and girls around the world due to lockdowns.

Blinken announced plans to add reproductive health back into the report after the Trump administration removed it. The Biden administration is taking steps to “promote women’s health … because women’s rights — including sexual and reproductive rights — are human rights,” he stated.

Weber said Blinken’s remarks signaled how the administration would advocate for expanded abortion access around the globe.

“The other development that stood out in [Secretary Blinken’s] announcements was the elevation of reproductive rights, which we know is code for abortion expansion,” Weber said. “We expect the Biden administration to push abortion in international policy, and I think he clearly signaled that in his press conference.”

Blinken also noted “profound inequities, including systemic racism” and said, “we have work to do at home.”

The administration will work with its allies and institutions like the United Nations Human Rights Council and Congress to demonstrate a commitment to promote human rights around the globe.

Blinken promised the administration would “redouble” its efforts to support journalists, human rights defenders, anti-corruption activists, labor union organizers and other advocates who “put everything on the line to defend human rights.”

The City of Portland, Oregon has lost 115 police officers since July 2020. 74 retired and 41 resigned.

The situation for police officers in Portland is so bad that nearby Spokane, Washington is advertising for cops in Portland in a very public billboard campaign.

And police officers are roasting city officials in their exit interviews.

One officer left this for city officials to stew over as he walked out the door, “The community shows zero support. The city council are raging idiots, in addition to being stupid. Additionally, the mayor and council ignore actual facts on crime and policing in favor of radical leftist and anarchists fantasy.”

Oregon Live reported:

They mocked city leaders.

They bemoaned the lack of true community-based policing.

And they were all Portland officers and supervisors who chose to leave the state’s largest police force in the last year.

In 31 exit interview statements, the employees who turned in their badges or retired were brutally frank about their reasons for getting out.

“The community shows zero support. The city council are raging idiots, in addition to being stupid. Additionally, the mayor and council ignore actual facts on crime and policing in favor of radical leftist and anarchists fantasy. What’s worse is ppb command (lt. and above) is arrogantly incompetent and cowardly,” one retiring detective wrote.
“The only differences between the Titanic and PPB?” he continued. “Deck chairs and a band.”

Since July 1, 115 officers have left the Police Bureau, including 74 who retired and 41 who resigned. Two more will resign by the end of this month and one more is retiring. They make up one of the biggest waves of departures in recent memory.

Hunter Biden Casts Doubt On Secret Service Involvement In Gun Incident, Contradicting His Own Text Messages From 2019

Hunter Biden said he does not believe that the Secret Service got involved in a search for his handgun after his sister-in-law and then-girlfriend threw it in a trash can in October 2018. Biden’s comments in a CBS “This Morning” interview on Monday would appear to conflict with text messages he reportedly sent several months after the incident in which he referred to Secret Service involvement in the search for his gun.

“I don’t know whether the Secret Service were, or why they would be. I don’t think that’s true, to my knowledge,” Biden said in an interview with CBS News regarding reports that the Secret Service intervened in the Oct. 23, 2018 incident.

Politico reported last month that Hallie Biden, the sister-in-law to Hunter, reported his gun missing to police in Wilmington, Delaware. Hallie, who was also in a romantic relationship with Hunter at the time, said that she threw his gun in a trash can behind a supermarket after taking it from his vehicle, according to Politico. She reported the firearm missing after she went back to the store to try to retrieve it. Delaware state police, the FBI and Secret Service took part in the search for the gun, according to Politico.

Politico also reported that the owner of a gun store in Delaware said that Secret Service agents requested paperwork regarding the sale of the firearm to Biden. The store owner said that he refused to provide documents to the Secret Service, fearing that the agency would try to cover up the incident, according to Politico. He later sent paperwork to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

The Secret Service and White House said last week that there were no records showing that Secret Service personnel were involved in the investigation, Politico reported. Senate Republicans noted in a letter to the Secret Service last week that the agency was not providing protection to the Biden family at the time of the incident.

But Biden referred to the Secret Service in a text message he reportedly sent several months after the incident.

“She stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then told me it was my problem to deal with,” Biden wrote in the text message, according to The New York Post, which obtained a trove of Biden’s communications before the 2020 election.
“Then when the police the FBI the secret service came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids,” according to the Post.

Biden was not asked in the CBS interview about his text messages. His attorney did not respond to a request for comment. Biden said that Hallie took the gun out of “concern that I would hurt myself or do something.”

“In the moment we knew that the gun was lost, that Hallie had thrown it into a trashcan and I told her that she can’t do that,” he said.

“The reporting was not just based on bad information — it was intentionally false,” Kerner said. “I know this because I offered to provide my insight into Palm Beach County’s vaccination efforts and 60 minutes declined. They know that the Governor came to Palm Beach County and met with me and the County Administrator and we asked to expand the state’s partnership with Publix to Palm Beach County. We also discussed our own local plans to expand mass vaccination centers throughout the county, which the Governor has been incredibly supportive. We asked and he delivered. They had that information, and they left it out because it kneecaps their narrative.’
“We have confronted this pandemic for over a year. Our residents, like all Americans, are tired. And the media is making it worse. They are hellbent on dividing us for cheap views and clicks. 60 Minutes should be ashamed,” he continued.

CBS News’ “60 Minutes” was blasted on Sunday by a top Democratic official in Florida and the state’s largest grocery store chain after it aired a deceptively edited segment insinuating that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) engaged in a “pay to play” scheme with COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

On Sunday evening, CBS News’ Sharyn Alfonsi reported that DeSantis received a $100,000 donation to his PAC from Publix grocery stores, which later partnered with the state to distribute COVID-19 vaccines. “60 Minutes” aired a clip of Alfonsi confronting DeSantis at a new conference south of Orlando, accusing the governor of “pay to play” by giving Publix exclusive rights to distribute the vaccine after he received that donation.

The governor said Alfonsi was “wrong” and spreading a “fake narrative” and proceeded to correct the record, but his long answer was cut out of the segment by CBS News’ editors.

The Daily Wire reported the transcript of the segment, highlighting in bold the parts of DeSantis’ answer that were edited out of the clip.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Publix, as you know, donated $100,000 to your campaign, and then you rewarded them with the exclusive rights to distribute the vaccination in Palm Beach—
Ron DeSantis: So, first of all, that — what you’re saying is wrong. That’s—
Sharyn Alfonsi: How is that not pay-to-play?
Ron DeSantis: —that, that’s a fake narrative. So, first of all, when we did, the first pharmacies that had it were CVS and Walgreens. And they had a long-term care mission. So they were going to the long-term care facilities. They got the vaccine in the middle of December, they started going to the long-term care facilities the third week of December to do LTCs. So that was their mission. That was very important. And we trusted them to do that. As we got into January, we wanted to expand the distribution points. So yes, you had the counties, you had some drive-through sites, you had hospitals that were doing a lot, but we wanted to get it into communities more. So we reached out to other retail pharmacies — Publix, Walmart — obviously CVS and Walgreens had to finish that mission. And we said, we’re going to use you as soon as you’re done with that. For Publix, they were the first one to raise their hand, say they were ready to go. And you know what, we did it on a trial basis. I had three counties. I actually showed up that weekend and talked to seniors across four different Publix. How was the experience? Is this good? Should you think this is a way to go? And it was 100% positive. So we expanded it, and then folks liked it. And I can tell you, if you look at a place like Palm Beach County, they were kind of struggling at first in terms of the senior numbers. I went, I met with the county mayor. I met with the administrator. I met with all the folks in Palm Beach County, and I said, “Here’s some of the options: we can do more drive-through sites, we can give more to hospitals, we can do the Publix, we can do this.” They calculated that 90% of their seniors live within a mile and a half of a Publix. And they said, “We think that would be the easiest thing for our residents.” So, we did that, and what ended up happening was, you had 65 Publix in Palm Beach. Palm Beach is one of the biggest counties, one of the most elderly counties, we’ve done almost 75% of the seniors in Palm Beach, and the reason is because you have the strong retail footprint. So our way has been multifaceted. It has worked. And we’re also now very much expanding CVS and Walgreens, now that they’ve completed the long-term care mission.

Sharyn Alfonsi: The criticism is that it’s pay-to-play, governor.

Ron DeSantis: And it’s wrong. It’s wrong. It’s a fake narrative. I just disabused you of the narrative. And you don’t care about the facts. Because, obviously, I laid it out for you in a way that is irrefutable.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Well, I— I was just—

Ron DeSantis: And, so, it’s clearly not.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Isn’t there the nearest Publix —

Ron DeSantis: No, no, no. You’re wrong.

Sharyn Alfonsi: —30 miles away.

Ron DeSantis: You’re wrong. You’re wrong. Yes, sir?

Sharyn Alfonsi: That’s actually a fact.

“The irresponsible suggestion that there was a connection between campaign contributions made to Governor DeSantis and our willingness to join other pharmacies in support of the state’s vaccine distribution efforts is absolutely false and offensive,” Publix said in a scathing statement provided to “60 Minutes.”
“We are proud of our pharmacy associates for administering more than 1.5 million doses of vaccine to date and for joining other retailers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia to do our part to help our communities emerge from the pandemic,” the grocery store said.

Florida’s director of emergency management, Jared Moskowitz, the Democratic state official responsible for directing the response to the pandemic under Gov. DeSantis, came to the governor’s defense and called Alfonsi’s narrative “absolute malarkey.”

Lara Logan: Biden’s border crisis is enabling the ‘MOST POWERFUL criminal organizations’ on Earth

Award-winning investigative journalist Lara Logan joined Glenn Beck on the radio program this week to argue the Biden administration’s border crisis is “enabling” drug cartels, allowing them to exploit migrants, use border wall construction roads, and cross the border much more easily.

Lara, who has witnessed and experienced firsthand some of the worst violence around the world as a war correspondent for CBS News, told Glenn it’s “not an overstatement” to call the cartels in Mexico “the most violent and powerful criminal organizations on the face of the earth.” And while they’re “at war with us, we’ve been asleep at the wheel.”

But Lara also offers solutions that the U.S. can enact to stop these horrific atrocities.

“There’s more than 30,000 Mexican civilians who are massacred every year in Mexico by the cartels. And that’s just the bodies that the Mexican government owns up to or knows about, right?” Lara said. “There’s Mexicans buried in unmarked mass graves all across the country. I mean, everyone knows that the violence of the cartels is not like anything anyone has ever seen before. It even pales in comparison to, at times, to what terrorist groups like ISIS have done.”

Lara went on to explain some of the unspeakable acts of violence and murder that occur at the hands of the Mexican cartels — 98% of which go uninvestigated.

“That’s not unprosecuted, Glenn. That’s uninvestigated,” Lara emphasized. “[Cartels] operate with impunity. So the law enforcement guy, the policemen, the marine, the National Guardsmen, who are trying to do the right thing, who are not in the pocket of the cartels — what chance do those guys have? They’ve got no chance. You know where they end up? In one of those unmarked graves.”

Biden’s judicial nominees prove ‘liberal dark money groups’ control his administration: legal expert

A former law clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas has alleged that President Joe Biden’s newly released list of judicial nominees proves that he’s letting “liberal dark money groups” control his administration.

Carrie Severino, president of the think-tank Judicial Crisis Network, which advocates for the appointment of originalist U.S. Supreme Court justices, expressed concern about Biden’s first list of judicial nominees. The nominees on the list, released Tuesday, would fill 11 vacancies on the federal courts. Severino wrote about Judge Katenji Brown Jackson, Biden’s pick to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, in an op-ed for National Review.

“Jackson has been on the Supreme Court shortlist of Demand Justice, to which prospects do not make the cut unless they are far to the left,” she said. Others on the liberal group’s shortlist include employees of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project and the National Center for Lesbian Rights, as well as a visiting professor of social justice at Union Theological Seminary and a former Planned Parenthood attorney.

Severino noted that prior to becoming a federal judge, Jackson “represented indigent criminal appellants before the D.C. Circuit” and submitted “amicus briefs on behalf of accused enemy combatants in military detention.” In a Twitter thread Tuesday, Severino explained that the context in which the judicial nominations are occurring should concern conservatives: “As Politico playbook noted this morning, President Biden has been working overtime to appease the far left, and we can expect his judges to rubber-stamp their extreme radical agenda.”

“One of these appeasement tactics is paying back the liberal dark-money groups that spent hundreds of millions of dollars to elect him and Senate Democrats. This includes myriad dark money groups propped up by the vast Arabella Advisors Network,” she continued. Severino mentioned in her op-ed that Demand Justice, which has included Jackson on their list of favored Supreme Court candidates, is part of the Arabella Advisors Network.

Severino elaborated on the implications of dark money groups’ support for Biden’s nominees in an interview with The Christian Post: “I think what … we can see are the groups that are very happy with these nominees, which again is the same laundry list of the … dark money organizations … we know that they are very satisfied by that list of nominees and I think that’s … enough to raise my concern.”

According to Severino, the list of judicial nominees is the latest example of how Biden’s “priorities and agenda are largely dictated at this point by the liberal dark money forces that helped put him in office, and we’re seeing that play out in the administration appointments, and now we’re seeing that play out in the judicial appointments as well.” In addition to Demand Justice, Severino cited the Alliance for Justice, People for the American Way, and the American Constitution Society as examples of liberal “dark money groups.”

“We have seen those groups on the left insisting on some of the most radical positions … on both abortion, on religious freedom, etc. And the fact that they are all very happy with these nominees tells you all you need to know about their positions on those cases. Because when … these groups talk about judges and the importance of nominating judges, they don’t talk about … the importance of their judicial philosophy, for example, they talk about (judges) in terms of the policy goals that those judges are going to help them achieve,” she added.

“And so, if you wonder how … they’re going to be deciding cases, it is pretty clear … because of the support they’re getting from groups who do view judges just as a means to achieve policy ends, they obviously consider them completely reliable to deliver those policy goals.” A Message from

As Severino told CP, a lot of Biden’s judicial picks “aren’t even judges yet,” making it difficult to determine “what their judicial philosophy would be.”

Biden’s nominees include attorneys working in the private sector: Tiffany Cunningham, the president’s nominee to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Candace Jackson-Akiwumi, his nominee to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and Margaret Strickland, who he nominated to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.

One of Biden’s picks to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Julien Neals, works as a county counsel in Bergen County. Biden also nominated Judges Deborah Boardman and Lydia Griggsby to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Judge Zahid Quraishi to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as Judges Florence Pan and Rupa Ranga Puttagunta to serve on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

For his part, Biden seemed enthusiastic about his candidates, whom he described as “trailblazing” and “the very best and brightest minds of the American legal profession.” He maintained that “Each is deeply qualified and prepared to deliver justice faithfully under our Constitution and impartially to the American people — and together they represent the broad diversity of background, experience, and perspective that makes our nation strong.”

The White House announcement about Biden’s nominees touted the “groundbreaking” racial diversity of the picks, which include: “three African American women chosen for Circuit Court vacancies, as well as candidates who, if confirmed, would be the first Muslim American federal judge in U.S. history, the first (Asian American Pacific Islander) woman to ever serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of D.C., and the first woman of color to ever serve as a federal judge for the District of Maryland.”

While the list of judicial nominees provides information about the candidates’ experience and education, it doesn’t include information about their philosophies and past rulings, if applicable.

Overall, liberal groups, including Demand Justice, have praised Biden’s list of judicial nominees. In a statement, Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon highlighted the “public defenders and civil rights lawyers in this group” as “exactly the kind of judges we need to rebalance our courts.” However, he also took a veiled swipe at the nomination of corporate attorney Regina Rodriguez, who the president has nominated to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Subtly referring to the recommendation by Colorado’s two Democratic senators that Rodriguez serve on the bench, which Demand Justice criticized, Fallon lamented that “old habits die hard for some senators who are used to recommending corporate lawyers and prosecutors for federal judgeships.” Fallon expressed a preference for public defenders and civil rights lawyers, whom he described as “underrepresented professional backgrounds.”

Current Senate rules allow judicial nominees to be confirmed with a simple majority, as opposed to the 60 votes required to pass most legislation. With a 50-50 split in the Senate and Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote for the Democrats, Biden should be able to get all of his candidates confirmed without Republican support if all Democrats vote in favor of them.

Severino acknowledged that opponents of Biden’s judicial nominees will have a difficult time blocking their confirmations, but she contended that a Senate Democrat representing a very red state, Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and another Senate Democrat representing a purple state, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, could be open to persuasion.

“Are they going to stand with the citizens of their states, the … many Americans who don’t want the courts turned into politics by other means, or are they going to go along with the demands of the Democratic Party and … just toe the line?” she asked.

In lieu of citing some B.S. media “fact check,” I shall quote directly from the autopsy report by the Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner, Andrew Baker:

“No life-threatening injuries identified —

“A. No facial, oral mucosal, or conjunctival petechiae

“B. No injuries of anterior muscles of neck or laryngeal structures

“C. No scalp soft tissue, skull, or brain injuries

“D. No chest wall soft tissue injuries, rib fractures (other than a single rib fracture from CPR), vertebral column injuries, or visceral injuries

“E. Incision and subcutaneous dissection of posterior and lateral neck, shoulders, back, flanks, and buttocks negative for occult trauma”

In short: No bloodshot eyes and no trauma to any part of Floyd’s neck.

“A. Blood drug and novel psychoactive substances screens:

“1. Fentanyl 11 ng/mL”

That’s just the first few words of the “Toxicology” section. Also listed are norfentanyl, 4-ANPP, methamphetamine, cannabinoids, amphetamines, morphine and so on.

Three. But George Floyd went up to 11.

Naturally, Baker was quick to add, “I am not saying this killed him.” Please don’t throw me to the woke gods! Leave me to my test tubes! (And you thought lawyers were craven.)

I have a feeling we’re about to see another example of the left not accepting science.

In addition to liberals refusing to accept the science of:

— DNA (the O.J. trial)

— AIDS (we’re still waiting for that big heterosexual outbreak!)

— Cancer clusters and breast implants (billions of dollars wasted and companies destroyed because of the left’s adherence to junk science)

— I.Q. (just watch the reaction to my mentioning this hate-science) …

… we can now add “pharmacology”!

You mean to say that just by sticking a syringe in someone’s arm you can tell if he’s been taking drugs? That’s a lot of mumbo-jumbo, just like the moon landing.

This trial is a total sham, but the entire power of the state, the media, the left-wing shock troops and the country’s finest legal talent is being deployed against Derek Chauvin.

The legal mismatch in the O.J. Simpson case wasn’t this one-sided.

What does a $27 million settlement with the family of the alleged victim say?

In the darkest days of Jim Crow, the entire country never ganged up on a single individual like this.

Daniel Horowitz OP-ED: WHO data: Ivermectin reduces COVID mortality by 81%. Also WHO: We still don’t recommend it.

Imagine if we could have saved 81% of those who ultimately died from the virus by treating them early with a cheap, safe drug, along with other cheap therapeutic cocktails. Well, for one, more people would be alive today. But more important to the powers at be, there would have been no excuse to fear the virus and sow panic and tyranny. Also, there would have been no market for expensive therapeutics and vaccines that are much more experimental and unproven. Which is likely why the WHO is refusing to recommend ivermectin for early COVID treatment, even as its own data prove it should be championed as a cure.

On Wednesday, the WHO updated its guide on therapeutics and COVID-19. Under ivermectin, the meta-analysis shows an 81% drop in mortality among those who used ivermectin as opposed to standard care. It also shows a 64% decrease in hospitalization. Nonetheless, the WHO refuses to endorse it because it claims the confidence level is low.

“The issue with the Ivermectin is that based on initial study and the currently available data, it is not strong enough for us to advocate the use of Ivermectin for treatment of COVID or prevention of COVID,” said WHO representative to the Philippines Rabindra Abeyasinghe on Tuesday. He claimed that using it without “strong” evidence is “harmful” since it would give “false confidence” to the public.

Gee, that sure sounds a lot like telling people if they wear a mask indoors, they won’t get COVID. Tragically, when they invariably do get the virus, the global health elites have nothing to treat them with.

In total, there have been 49 studies, 26 of them randomized controlled trials, showing that ivermectin works against the virus. The pooled results show an 80% improvement when used early, 89% when used as prophylaxis, and even a 50% improvement at late stages. It is simply shocking that the global elites would continue to treat this long-used drug as experimental while treating novel vaccines that were only studied by the companies creating them as ironclad. Consider that the vaccines have not been approved by the FDA, on label or off label, there is no liability, and there is no data on long-term safety issues.

Ivermectin, on the other hand, has been dispensed billions of times for decades and has proven itself as one of the safest drugs around. William C. Campbell and Satoshi Ōmura were awarded the Nobel Prize for physiology in 2015 for discovering the drug as a cure to river blindness. Here is an excerpt from the press release of the Nobel Assembly:

“Today the Avermectin-derivative Ivermectin is used in all parts of the world that are plagued by parasitic diseases. Ivermectin is highly effective against a range of parasites, has limited side effects and is freely available across the globe. The importance of Ivermectin for improving the health and wellbeing of millions of individuals with River Blindness and Lymphatic Filariasis, primarily in the poorest regions of the world, is immeasurable. Treatment is so successful that these diseases are on the verge of eradication, which would be a major feat in the medical history of humankind.”

That sure sounds like a dangerous drug, doesn’t it?

The WHO itself lists ivermectin among its Model List of Essential Medicines for 2019, given its efficacy against parasitic infections and its track record of safety.

But suddenly when it comes to eradicating COVID and pre-empting lockdowns, masks, and vaccines, it’s a problem! It’s the worst thing known to man.

Consider the fact that even some unicorn idea of mask efficacy can only conceivably reduce transmission by a small amount, yet they treat masks as mandatory to the point that they enforce them against 2-year-olds, rape victims, and people with disabilities. Imagine if they poured that much vigor into promotion of ivermectin.

And as any doctor who has actually studied the early stages of the virus will tell you, this is not just about ivermectin or any single drug. It’s about a cocktail of drugs. Aside from ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine, imagine if everyone with a positive test were given a cocktail with vitamins, steroids, and other drugs that have proven to work well over the past year, rather than waiting until someone has already experienced the inflammatory response, when it’s much harder to treat.

In other words, how come the people who claim to care the most about COVID don’t really care about saving people from it?

For example, if the global elites were really about saving lives, why wouldn’t they have made vitamin D the new mask? The studies on the correlation between high vitamin D levels and positive outcomes with COVID have been impervious. The Karolinska Institute just published a comprehensive synthesis in the journal Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology on how vitamin D offers a great degree of protection against all respiratory viruses. Based on an analysis of three randomized and placebo-controlled studies involving 49,000 people, they found that a daily dose of vitamin D offers extra protection against respiratory diseases. They observed this to be particularly important for people with low vitamin D levels, such as those with dark skin, overweight people, and the elderly.

Why has this information not gotten out to Americans? Why didn’t vitamin D become the new toilet paper? Last week, Dr. Ryan Cole, a board-certified pathologist in Idaho who runs the largest independent laboratory in Idaho, where he’s overseen 100,000 COVID tests, explained on my podcast exactly how vitamin D works against the inflammatory response to this virus. He showed how vitamin D is the master key of the immune system and prevents any dysregulation of the immune response that leads to the cytokine storm, which is responsible for most COVID deaths.

There are other cheap therapeutics that have been proven effective by respected research, such as low-dose aspirin. A recent study from George Washington University published in the journal Anesthesia & Analgesia showed that those given aspirin immediately in the hospital were 44% less likely to go on a ventilator, 43% less likely to need to go to the intensive care unit, and 47% less likely to die in the hospital. Imagine if people took it daily from the moment they feel symptoms or test positive.

Again, why are people who test positive, especially the elderly, still being denied information and prescriptions for cheap, life-saving cocktails early in the viral replication process? Last night, I got a panicked email from a listener whose 74-year-old mother with health conditions was vaccinated four weeks ago, but just came down with a fever and tested positive. Her doctor won’t prescribe her ivermectin. This is the tragedy of the vaccine being treated as proven and proven therapeutics being treated as experimental and even dangerous. A full year into this virus, our medical establishment have turned our civilization upside down and inside out under the guise of saving lives, but they have censored the one thing that will actually keep people out of the hospital. The question is why.
