Gov. Walker Signs Bill Making Wisconsin Right-to-Work State

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on Monday signed into law a measure that prohibits requiring a worker to pay union dues, striking another blow against organized labor four years after the state effectively ended collective bargaining for public-sector employees. Walker, a likely presidential candidate fresh on a weekend visit to Iowa, signed the right-to-work bill affecting private-sector workers at an invitation-only ceremony at Badger Meter north of Milwaukee. The company’s president was one of the few business owners who publicly supported the measure, which rocketed through the Legislature in less than two weeks.

His sleeves rolled up and his suit jacket off, the Republican governor sat at a table with a banner that said “Freedom to Work” as he signed the bill that makes it a misdemeanor to require workers to pay unions dues. Just before the signing, Walker said the new law “sends a powerful message across the country and around the world.”

Supporters have argued the law will help keep and attract new businesses to the state who were wary to spend in Wisconsin before. But opponents say it will drive down wages and make the workplace less safe. “By signing Right to Work into law, Gov. Walker continues his crusade on the hard-working, middle-class families of Wisconsin,” said Phil Neuenfeldt, president of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO in a prepared statement.

A coalition of more than 400 businesses formed to oppose the bill and upward of 3,000 union members and others gathered at the Capitol in a failed attempt to block its passage.

Walker was surrounded Monday by Republican lawmakers who shepherded the bill through the process, including Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald. Representatives from the state chamber of commerce, along with Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, were also on hand. “This is one more big tool to help places like Badger Meter, when they can put jobs anywhere around the world, they can put them in Wisconsin,” Walker said. Badger Meter’s chief executive and chairman Rich Meeusen said because of the law the company will place a $2.5 million piece of new water control equipment at the Brown Deer facility and that will lead to 30 to 50 new manufacturing jobs in the state.

Walker left without taking questions.

The new law, which takes effect immediately, makes Wisconsin the 25th right-to-work state and the first to do it since Michigan and Indiana in 2012. Mark Mix, president of the National Right to Work Committee, said the action now puts pressure on other Midwest states to follow suit. “Every worker deserves freedom of choice when it comes to union membership and dues payment, and if states like Michigan and Wisconsin can pass Right to Work then Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio can too,” Mix said in a statement.

Walker signed the bill after spending the weekend in Iowa with other Republican presidential prospects at an agriculture summit. Walker heads to New Hampshire this on Saturday where he’ll give the keynote speech at a state Republican Party event.

Obama: ‘Important’ Second Amendment Responsible for High Homicide Rates

Speaking at Benedict College in South Carolina on March 6, President Obama said the “Second Amendment … is important,” that it is “part of our culture” and “part of who were are.” Then he quickly added, “But what we also have to recognize is, is that our homicide rates are so much higher than other industrialized countries–by like a mile.”

So, the Second Amendment is important but…

Moreover, Obama hinted that the individual right to bear arms–the very right protected by the Second Amendment–is the result of a Supreme Court interpretation. On June 22, Breitbart News reported that The Washington Post espoused this same liberal talking point, claiming that the Supreme Court created an individual right to keep and bear arms via the District of Columbia v. Heller (2008) decision.

In other words, prior to 2008, there was no individual right to keep and bear arms. It wasn’t what our Founding Fathers intended and it wasn’t what generation upon generation of Americans from 1791 to 2008 believed and lived by. It’s all based on a decision by a group of justices.

In his speech, aired on C-SPAN, Obama said:

We have a long tradition of gun rights and gun ownership in this country. The Second Amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court to mean the people have the right to bear arms. There are a lot of law-abiding, responsible gun owners who use it for protection or sport. They handle their weapons properly. There are traditions of families passing down [hunting] from father to son, or daughter … and that is important; that’s part of who we are. But what we also have to recognize is, is that our homicide rates are so much higher than other industrialized nations–by like a mile.

And most of that is attributable to the easy, ready, availability of firearms, particularly handguns.

However, the gun control lobby’s relentless claim that America’s homicide rate is so much higher than other industrialized countries breaks down under scrutiny.

For example, in August 2013, Breitbart News reported on a study in the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy which showed that the murder rate in heavily gun-controlled Russia was approximately 20.52 per 100,000 people in 2002. A high point for America was 6.6 per 100,000 people in 1993, and that rate fell to 3.2 per 100,000 by 2011, after the number of privately owned guns in America went from 192 million in 1994 to 310 million in 2009.

So, 20.52 per 100,000 people are murdered in Russia versus America’s 6.6 per 100,000–later to be 3.2 per 100,000–yet, according to President Obama, America’s murder rate is, “like a mile” higher than that of other industrialized countries.

Fouad al-Bayly called for the death of prominent women’s rights activist and Islam critic Ayaan Hirsi Ali was hired to teach Islam in prisons. who has publically supported the death penalty for those who choose to leave Islam has since been hired by the Department of Justice to teach Islam in prisons. Fouad al-Bayly, the Imam of the Islamic Center of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, said in 2007 that Ayan Hirsi Ali, a Somalian women’s rights activist and fierce critic of Islam, deserves to die for her public attacks on the faith. She regards Islam as damaging to women, in part due to her own experience suffering female genital mutilation as a child.

Ali was scheduled to speak at the nearby University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in 2007, and al-Bayly was involved in protesting against her visit. He told local newspapers: “If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death.” This is a mainstream view among Islamists. Hardline cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

Ali has every reason to take death threats seriously. She has received multiple death threats in the past. Dutch Film Director Theo Van Gogh, who made the film Submission, scripted by ali, which criticized Islam, was killed in 2004. A note pinned to his chest with a knife said that Ali was next.

Yet despite his extremist past, government records show that as of 2014 Fouad al-Bayly has been hired to teach Islam in prisons to the inmates. Records state that he received two contracts, one for $10,500 for February of last year and another one for $2,400 dated to December. He was hired to provide “religious services, leadership and guidance.” The second contract was to provide “Muslim classes for inmates.”

This is not the first time Imams and Mosques with extremist connections have been allowed access to prisoners despite their records. Clarion Project previously reported that Dar al-Hijrah, an extremist mosque attended by three of the 9/11 hijackers, has engaged in prison outreach in Washington D.C. for 10 years. In another example, the head of Islamic Affairs for the New York State Prison’s Department of Ministerial Services was later caught justifying the 9/11 attacks and terrorism to prison inmates.

Report: Women at Risk of FGM in the U.S. Has Doubled to 500,000

A shocking new study reveals that since 2000 the number of women and girls at risk of FGM has more than doubled to half a million. Most Americans probably consider Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) to be a problem relegated to Third World countries, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. Yet a new report released by the nonprofit Population Reference Bureau (PRB) indicates that the number of women and girls in the United States who had undergone or who were in risk of being subjected to has more than doubled since 2000 to almost half a million.

According to the PRB’s report, most of the women in the U.S. who were at risk of FGM were born in Egypt, Somalia or Ethiopia or were born to parents from those countries. FGM is the partial or complete removal of a female’s external genitalia. It is considered to be a “sacred” ritual by many African tribal communities and by various Islamic sects. FGM is almost always justified by those communities who practice it as a way to control women’s sexuality, and the physical mutilation and the emotional trauma definitely have a devastating effect on women who are subjected to it.

DEAR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS: AMERICA IS NO LONGER A REPUBLIC!

This message for all Americans is also an open letter to all 535 Members of the Congress of the United States. Tonight is the eve of the date marking four months since the midterm elections of November 4, 2014, at which time Republicans captured solid majorities in both houses of Congress. Voters let it be known loud and clear, across the land, in elections for Governorships, and other statewide and local elections, that we were totally exasperated by the evil and lawless agenda and actions of the socialist Obama administration. We all heard truckloads of tough talk from Conservatives and Republicans regarding what their plans were come January of 2015, to use whatever means necessary to reverse course and return America to ” We, the People “.

Two full months have passed since the new Congress convened, our duly elected Members of the House and Senate, despite all the tough rhetoric and promises, even in spite of holding solid Republican Majorities in both houses, have accomplished absolutely nothing. Congress has not shown any indication whatsoever, of willingness to act to stop, nor begin to reverse, the destruction our nation has suffered during the past six years under Obama and the Courts.

So much has been written, and spoken, about, and in opposition to the high crimes and misdemeanors of Obama and the executive branch, that it is unnecessary to reiterate the legions of evils, immoral actions, and unconstitutional abuses of power that have been perpetrated. However, it would be prudent to point out that, just during this past week alone, Obama’s Executive Branch has:

(1) spit in the face of American workers by callously vetoing the Keystone XL pipeline;

(2) vowed to ignore lower court rulings that his executive action to grant amnesty to 5 million illegals, is unconstitutional, and is arrogantly proceeding ahead;

(3) his ordering of the Federal Communications Commission, behind the back of Congress and the people, to take control of the Internet, a dangerous infringement on free speech that will lead to censorship;

(4) illegally and unilaterally engaging with our most evil enemy, Iran, behind the backs of Congress, when our Constitution clearly requires treaties to be subject to the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate;

(5) publicly and illegally vowing earlier today to take executive action to raise taxes some 100 billion dollars, despite the clearly written Constitutional requirement that all taxation and spending is solely under Congressional authority.

Expounding at length regarding judicial abuses is also unnecessary, since volumes of spoken and written words have recounted the unspeakable and unconscionable actions and rulings of our United States Courts, at district, appellate and Supreme Court levels, in alliance with, or enabling of, Obama’s Executive Branch, to continuously overrule the will of the people and their state governments, and strip away our rights and liberties. Thus our Judicial Branch of the United States Government has become, just as has the Executive Branch, the enemy of the American people;

District Court judges have targeted the religious freedoms of individuals, private businesses and church affiliated organizations.
District and Appellate Courts have betrayed the American people in countless ways, but among them has included the arbitrary and capricious overturning of traditional marriage laws enacted in more than 30 states, that were the result of democratic elections!
Then of course, the U.S. Supreme Court, despite volumes of evidence to the contrary, flouted the wisdom and popular consensus of our people, and voted 5-4 to uphold the despised Affordable Care Act, nicknamed ” Obamacare “.

Clearly, with the Obama administration and the Judiciary having become enemies of the people, the ” wave ” election in November, when so-called conservatives and Republicans won solid majorities in both houses of Congress (coupled with big GOP gains in Governorships, statewide and local elections) felt wonderful to most, at the time. Americans thought relief from the tyranny of the Executive and Judicial Branches was swiftly and decisively forthcoming. The Legislative Branch would, come January 3, 2015, ” ride in like the Cavalry,” to the rescue of the American people, and begin to work with speed and diligence to restore our disintegrating republic.

Two months later, the American people can clearly hear the roar of silence from the Members of the new Congress. Their appalling and indefensible lack of action, is in contrast, a loud, clear message to once hopeful, patriotic and conservative Americans, that Congress has betrayed us, as surely as Obama Executive Branch and the Judges of the Courts in our Judicial Branch already have. It is now very clear based on both the events of the past six years, and those atrocities and abuses of power of just the last six days, that Congress was the only hope remaining for the American people. Now, as of March 3, 2015, it has become quite clear that, like the Executive and the Judiciary, our Legislative Branch has also betrayed and abandoned us. Our Congress, like the Obama administration and the Judiciary, has by all available evidence, also become, as a body, the enemy of the American people.

In the realm of honorable academic and scientific research, there is a method for critical and impartial collection, interpretation and analysis of large amounts of information. It is called “Meta-Analysis “. In conducting an informal ” Meta-Analysis ” of the collective actions of our three branches of government in recent years, particularly under President Obama, the analysis yields overwhelmingly the conclusion that America as a Republic was nearly destroyed by Obama and the Judiciary. Now, with our Legislative Branch, the U.S. Congress, having betrayed and abandoned Americans since January, this writer feels compelled to ring the bells of warning to Americans, and a strong admonition to the Members of Congress, as well: we know what you have wrought! The United States of America is no longer a Republic!

To Members of Congress, as well as to President Obama and Members of the National Judiciary, please hear this admonition; restore our Republic, and do it immediately, or each of you who betrayed us will answer to the American people! Unless you act with due haste to restore the Republic you have just destroyed to ” We, the People “, you will also be required to answer to Almighty God!

Obama Looks to Unconstitutionally Takeover Local and State Police

With Obamacare, the government took control of the health care insurance industry and, in effect, the health care of Americans under the ruse of insuring the 20-30 million individuals who did not have health care insurance. Obama is now set to do another takeover – local and state policing. Yesterday, Obama unveiled his plan for the takeover, which the Daily Caller has dubbed “Obamalaw.” According to the Daily Caller:

“We have a great opportunity … to really transform how we think about community law enforcement relations,” he said on Monday. “We need to seize that opportunity … this is something that I’m going to stay very focused on in the months to come,” Obama said, as he touted a new interim report from his Task Force on 21 ^st Century Policing.

Obama also instructed his media allies to help a federalization of policing, and to sideline critics of centralized policing rules. “I expect our friends in the media to really focus on what’s in this report and pay attention to it.”

In just the way the government took over health care, through mandatory requirements for health insurance policies, issuing subsidies and federal grants to the state for Medicaid expansion, Obama is set to exercise expanded control over local and state law enforcement by attaching conditions to the federal funds they receive. Common Core for education and the mortgage rules for banks are additional examples. “We can expand the [federally funded] COPS program … to see if we can get more incentives for local communities to apply some of the best practices and lessons that are embodied in this report,” he said.

The Daily Caller points out the possible intent of this move by Obama.

Those best practices likely will eventually include rules that restrict police investigations of groups that are part of the Democratic coalition, and rule that try to level convictions and penalties among various sub-groups of the United States, regardless of actual conviction rates.

“I think communities [with police forces] across the board are going to need to consider … recommendations around prohibiting racial profiling [and] that’s a step that we’ve already taken at the federal level,” Obama said.

In order to assist federal officials to formulate and impose new rules, the government will need to gather increasingly more data from state and local policing. Per Obama, “We need more information to find out how to take to scale best practices when it comes to training so that police officers are able to work in a way that reduces the possibilities of bias.” Translation: All law enforcement officers are racists and need to be “retrained.”

Obama suggested that “state and local policing may need to be subordinated to federal social policy.” By changing “law enforcement” to “policing,” it suggests that only certain facets of police business will be addressed instead of the takeover of the state and local law enforcement agencies. Whenever Obama gets his finger in the pie, you can guarantee he’s going for the whole pie, not a sample.

“Our approach to drug laws, for example, and criminalization of nonviolent offenses rather than taking more of a public health approach – that may be something that has an impact in eroding trust between law enforcement and communities,” Obama claimed.

The political goals of “Obamalaw” are presented in two simple statements in the report.

“Law enforcement agencies should acknowledge the role of policing in the past and present injustice and discrimination and how it is a hurdle to the promotion of community trust …. The Federal Government, as well as state and local agencies, should encourage and incentivize higher education for law enforcement officers.”

Money is a big motivating factor for states and law enforcement agencies; so, bribe them with federal aid and indoctrination disguised as higher education. Other recommendations from the report include:

law enforcement agencies engaging community members in the training process…;
government should ensure basic recruits and in-service officer training include addiction curriculum …;
law enforcement agencies should implement officer training covering policies for interactions with the LGBTQ population, “including issues such as determining gender identity for arrest placement;”
law enforcement agencies should implement officer training covering policies for interactions with the Muslim, Arab, and South Asian communities, immigrant or non-English speaking groups;
law enforcement agencies should reinforce policies for prevention of sexual assault and harassment.

In reading point two, it looks as though men could be jailed with women if they “gender identified” as female and women jailed with men should they identify as male. That is certain to bring chaos into the prison/jail system. Or, maybe Obama plans to create specific prison housing for these individuals supposedly “confused” about their gender. Either way, there will be increasing costs to the taxpayers.

Point number three translates to “leave them alone.”

Prior to Obama, other Democratic administrations cited poverty as the main justification for increasing federal aid; however, Obama never mentioned unemployment in his Monday speech. Obama knows that his plan to bring state and local law enforcement under federal control will face heated opposition among the citizenry. He has planned for that and is eliciting the media to assist him, aka the federal government, in this takeover. “Law enforcement is largely a local function as opposed to a federal function …. A lot of our work is going to involve local police chiefs, local elected officials, states recognizing that the moment is now for us to make these changes,” Obama admitted. “Often we see an event that’s flashy; it makes news; people are crying out for solutions. And by the time recommendations are put forward, our focus has moved on and we don’t actually see and pay attention to the concrete ways that we can improve the situation,” he said. “There’s some good answers to be had if we don’t make this a political football or sensationalize it, but rather focus on getting the job done,” he told the media. “So I appreciate everybody’s efforts. I’m going to be focused on it. I hope you will be, too.”Now it begins. The federal government under the control of one Barry Soetoro, aka Obama, is following the move by Adolf Hitler in creating a “brown shirt” law enforcement army. Despite what Obama says, this “federalization” of state and local law enforcement has nothing to do with any type of law enforcement or policy and procedure used by those agencies. Obama lies, time and time again. This has everything to do with being able to identify and target individuals and groups at a local level Obama views as “dissidents;” in other words, if you belong in a category Homeland Security identifies as “right-wing extremists or terrorists,” then you will be targeted for round-up or worse. What better way to accomplish that than to elicit local and state law enforcement cooperation.

Individuals in the alternative media have been warning their audience about the actions of Obama that would lead to the subjugation of individuals and the internment of individuals in FEMA camps. But, many of the sheeple still don’t see that the wolf, not the shepherd or his trusty sheepdog, are standing guard over them. The government has taken over health care insurance and healthcare, usurped education and further seek to “brainwash” our children through Common Core, and caused the property and housing bubble through mortgage rules established for the banking industry. All of these past actions have resulted in disaster. If the past is any indication of the future, the “federalization” of state and local law enforcement will be as well.

There will be many who say, “If you aren’t doing anything wrong, you don’t have anything to worry about.” Well, Skippy, there are many millions of Americans who have done nothing wrong except exercise their rights and their government has declared them as “terrorists.” Let’s not forget all the information the government collects on its citizens through unconstitutional NSA spying activities. Does anyone really believe the government wouldn’t “slice and dice” information in order to make someone appear guilty in order to get them into a FEMA camp? The government already forged a birth certificate for Obama. Obama uses a stolen Social Security number. Computer savvy individuals already photoshop photos and splice together audio that changes the original content. Emails can be done the same way.

For those who say Congress won’t allow it; again, look at the record of Congress in giving Obama what he wants. There is little evidence suggesting citizens can count on Congress. After all, they have not upheld their oath to the Constitution and impeached Obama for treason or high crimes and misdemeanors.

At this point in time, Americans will need to band together at the local level, bombarding elected officials to initiate laws preventing their agencies from taking part in this fiasco. Citizens will need to press their county sheriffs to maintain their oath to the Constitution of the US and their respective states. State legislatures will need to be bombarded with a grassroots effort to resist this “Nazi” establishment of “American Brown Shirts.” If this is not stopped, the US will experience all the flavor of Hitler’s Nazi Germany, meaning America will no longer be a free country.

University California students remove offensive American flag from ‘inclusive’ space

The Associated Students of University of California, Irvine voted to ban hanging flags in its main lobby.

The flag banning legislation passed with six yea votes, four nay, and two abstentions.

The Associated Students of University of California, Irvine (ASUCI) voted Tuesday to remove all flags, including American flags, from an inclusive space on campus because of their offensive nature. The bill, R50-70, was authored by Social Ecology Representative Matthew Guevara, and accuses all flags, especially, the American flag, of being “symbols of patriotism or weapons for nationalism.”

“[F]lags construct paradigms of conformity and sets [sic] homogenized standards for others to obtain which in this country typically are idolized as freedom, equality, and democracy.”

**The legislation argues that flags may be interpreted differently; the American flag, for example, can represent “American exceptionalism and superiority,” as well as oppression.**

“[T]he American flag has been flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism,” the bill continues, arguing that “symbolism has negative and positive aspects that are interpreted differently by individuals.”

The anti-flag hanging bill adds that free speech, such as flags in inclusive spaces, can be interpreted as hate speech.

“[F]reedom of speech, in a space that aims to be as inclusive as possible[,] can be interpreted as hate speech,” the bill reads.

“Let it be resolved that ASUCI make every effort to make the Associated Students main lobby space as inclusive as possible.”

“Let it further be resolved that no flag, of any nation, may be hanged on the walls of the Associate Student main lobby space.”

“Let it be further be resolved that if a decorative item is in the Associate student lobby space and issues arise, the solution will be to remove the item if there is considerable request to do so.”

The flag banning legislation passed with six yea votes, four nay, and two abstentions.

The legislation resolved that any decoration that a student finds offensive will be removed from the Associate Student main lobby if the request is made.

ASUCI is the undergraduate governing body of UC-Irvine. According to its website, it’s student-led by those who are elected into their positions.

Obama’s Former Radical Muslim DHS Advisor Compiles CAIR’s List of ‘Islamophobes!’

In 2010, Obama appointed Muslim Brotherhood member, Mohamed Elibiary, as one of his top advisors in the Department of Homeland Security. [1] It must have been hard for Elibiary to pretend for a single minute that he cared about the fate of America as the land of the free and the home of the brave, because it was not long before he blew his cover and exposed himself as the anti-American, radical Muslim that he is.

Elibiary is infamous for composing a tweet, which stated, “Yes I do consider the United States of America an Islamic country with an Islamically [sic] compliant Constitution. Move On!” [2] Still, it took an even more radical tweet to finally get him to resign.Elibiary supposedly ‘resigned’ after composing a tweet that revealed his sympathies to ISIS, and his belief in an “inevitable” return of the Islamic Caliphate espoused by Muslims who believe in certain end-time events such as the return of the 12th Imam.

On September 9, 2014, Aryeh Savir of the website United With Israel reported, “Responding to a question about the (IS) terror organization, Elibiary wrote, “As I’ve said b4 inevitable that ‘Caliphate’ returns.” [3] The tweet featured a picture of Elibiary complete with the symbol of the Muslim Brotherhood, which consists of four fingers and the letters, “R4BIA.”

Savir reported, “One website described the essence of the R4BIA icon as symbolizing more than the Muslim Brotherhood, but also promoting the “return of Muslims to world stage.” Savir further explained the meaning of the symbol: “It supports “justice for everyone against rotten Western values,” “a pure martyrdom,” “unification of Islamic World,” “the end of capitalists,” and “the end of Zionists.” “R4BIA is a smiling martyrdom,” Savir continued. [4]

Ryan Mauro of the Clarion Project stated that, “Elibiary has a history of pro-Muslim Brotherhood advocacy and has close ties to a Hamas financier.” [5] What is even more disturbing is the fact that Elibiary was instrumental in implementing Obama’s policy of refusing to call Islamic terror groups like ISIS by their proper names. Mauro further stated, “As Clarion Project reported in May 2013, Elibiary sat on a committee tasked with reviewing counter-terrorism training guidelines.”

The result was predictable: An Islamist-friendly product designed to marginalize Muslim reformers and Brotherhood opponents. [6] While people are finally waking up to the threat of Obama’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, it is mind boggling that a man with such extremist views could ever have made it to such a high position as a presidential advisor in the Department of Homeland Security. This should make every American wonder if, indeed, Obama is openly putting people with these extremists views in top advisory positions, what is he doing in secret?

Savir further reveals, “Elibiary has also used Twitter to praise late Muslim Brotherhood ideologue Sayyid Qutb, whose ideas had served as the basis for the modern Jihadist movement, and especially his call for violent Jihad and for the purification of Islam from the forces of non-believers.” [7] As if all of that were not shocking enough, the same Mohamed Elibiary was involved in composing a report put out by the Muslim Brotherhood backed group, Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) profiling ‘Islamophobes’ like Pamela Geller, Col.

Allen West, and Brigitte Gabriel, amongst other brave Americans who dare speak out against the Islamic jihad on western civilization. In other words, anyone who dares question the motives of certain Muslim groups and organizations intent on overthrowing our system of government receives the honor of having their names placed on the list. [8] Elibiary was active in composing the report titled, “Legislating Fear,” which can be found on the CAIR website (Elibiary’s name appears on page viii of the report). [9]

Whatever CAIR’s motives are in composing these lists, which amount to nothing less than profiling, these types of lists seem to be working quite well in silencing people. After all, most Americans hear about the “Prophet Mohammed” or “the Holy Koran” every night on the evening news. It should come as no surprise that those same media pundits will never say, “The Lord, Jesus Christ” or “the Holy Bible!”

With this in mind, you can be sure certain members of the media will never have to worry about being placed on such a list. They seem all too comfortable censoring themselves, and thus, submitting to Islam. But will their attempts to placate groups like CAIR stop there? One must conclude that the answer is a qualified “no!” Will Obama continue to impose his Muslim Brotherhood friendly agenda on Americans? The answer is, tragically, yes.

Will Obama leave office in 2017?

Question: Why are Americans so certain there will be a presidential election in 2016 and that Barack Obama will leave office in January 2017?

Answer: Because it’s the law and because it’s American tradition.

However, we currently have a man in the White House who respects neither the law nor the American tradition of peaceful changes of power. With regard to his contempt of the law, here are just a few examples:

He abused his executive authority for the purpose of effectively changing immigration law, even after admitting repeatedly that he had no constitutional authority to do so. He even broke administrative law in the process, according to a federal judge who reviewed the action and ruled it was illegal. Obama’s response? He dug in his heels and doubled down in his determination to carry out his illegal plan, threatening any government employees who refused to execute his order with retribution.
He conducted military intervention in Libya without congressional approval.
In Operation Fast and Furious, the Obama administration ordered gun store owners to illegally sell thousands of firearms to Mexican drug dealers, resulting in the deaths of many including Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
He gave $535 million in taxpayer dollars to campaign contributors and lobbyists, claiming it was for a revolutionary “green energy” startup called Solyndra that would create 4,000 new jobs. The company quickly went bankrupt, after selling its product for less than the cost of production. By publicly overstating the company’s financial condition, Obama broke the same law that resulted in Martha Stewart, a private citizen, going to prison.
By appointing dozens of “czars” without seeking Senate confirmation, Obama violated the Constitution according to Democrats Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.V., and Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis.
He signed Obamacare into law despite the fact that it was a revenue bill and did not initiate in the House of Representatives as per the Constitution.

As for his disrespect for American tradition, recall that as a candidate for the presidency he called for “the fundamental transformation of America.”

While downplaying and ignoring foreign threats to national security, Obama and his administration have both hyped the domestic threat of “right-wing extremists,” even participating in a raid of a lawful Texas political meeting in which all parties were detained and fingerprinted.….

So with all of this history – and much more, in fact – why do we assume Obama will step aside willingly from the presidency following an election in 2016?

I’m not saying he won’t. I’m just asking why. And judging from the number of questions I’m getting along these lines from the public, I’d say there’s great concern out there across the fruited plain.

Maybe we assume he will respectfully leave office after two terms because he has publicly said he would. In 2013, Obama said he and his family might remain in Washington after leaving office.

But that begs the question of whether Obama is truthful.

Remember what he said about his immigration order before issuing it: “This is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency. The problem is that I’m the president of the United States; I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed. And Congress right now has not changed what I consider to be a broken immigration system. And what that means is that we have certain obligations to enforce the laws that are in place even if we think that in many cases the results may be tragic. … [W]e’ve kind of stretched our administrative flexibility as much as we can.”

Remember what he said about Obamacare before it was implemented: “No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”

Remember what he said about ISIS? Now what does he say? “I didn’t call the Islamic State a ‘JV’ team.”

Again, do I think Obama will leave office in January 2017? Yes I do.

But, with a track record like this – and, actually much worse – should we simply take it for granted?

Inspired by ISIS, Kids in Yemen Set Fire to Ten-Year-Old Boy in Cage

Gulf News tells a story of ISIS’ viral evil spreading into Yemen, which was hardly suffering from a shortage of villainy: “Inspired by the video of Daesh (Islamic State/ISIS) burning to death the Jordanian pilot Muath Al Kasaesbeh, a group of boys set about re-enacting the atrocity in their Al Dahthath village in Yemen’s northern province of Ibb.”

The group of a half-dozen youths trapped a ten-year-old boy in a wooden cage, doused him with gasoline, and set him on fire. They even re-enacted the Islamic State leaders passing judgment on the Jordanian pilot and ordering his immolation. Luckily, the boy’s screams were heard in time, and he was rescued by villagers. He went to the hospital for treatment of the burns on one of his legs.

As Gulf News observes, the village is desperately poor and has unreliable electricity, but the people were still able to get the ISIS propaganda video of Kaseasbeh’s brutal execution on their mobile phones.

This is not the first time young fans of the Islamic State in Yemen have tried re-enacting the horrors of the terror state they admire. The UK Daily Mail recalls a previous instance weeks ago in which Yemeni boys used a cell phone to film themselves re-enacting the beachfront beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya, using sticks to simulate the knives ISIS prefers for its decapitations. “Lined up on the beach, the young boys are forced to their knees and stare down at the sand whilst they await their mock execution,” writes the Daily Mail. “Each boy appears deep in character, honed from studying the terror group’s depraved videos.” Evidently, the mock victims in this particular bit of live role-playing were not injured.

Not only are kids in Yemen getting with the ISIS swing; the Daily Mail throws in a sidebar about an Egyptian couple who horrified their wedding guests by hiring actors to simulate jihadis hijacking their wedding and shoving them into a cage similar to the one in which Lt. Kaseasbeh was killed. It is not clear if the groom meant this little stunt as sincere homage to ISIS or a joke, but it doesn’t seem to have elicited much laughter in either case.

Holder Admits ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’ Claim Was Bogus

The “hands up, don’t shoot” slogan used by Democratic activists since August 2013 is a complete falsehood, outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder admitted Wednesday. He acknowledge the faked story as he released the Justice Department’s investigation of the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Mo. “I recognize that the findings in our report may leave some to wonder how the department’s findings can differ so sharply from some of the initial, widely reported accounts of what transpired,” Holder said at the press conference.

However, Holder declined to criticize the TV-media frenzy — and the claims by local African-American protesters — that spread the false claim that the dead youth, Michael Brown, had his hands up shortly before his was shot by police officer Darren Wilson. Instead, Holder suggested the media and Americans recognize the fakery. “It remains not only valid – but essential – to question how such a strong alternative version of events was able to take hold so swiftly, and be accepted so readily,” he said.

Also, Holder offered some consolation to the Democratic activists by saying abusive actions by local police helped spur subsequent riots. The town had a “highly toxic environment, defined by mistrust and resentment, stoked by years of bad feelings, and spurred by illegal and misguided [police] practices – [so] it is not difficult to imagine how a single tragic incident set off the city of Ferguson like a powder keg,” he said.

Those claims of police abuse are being used by Holder to promote President Barack Obama’s new effort to federalize police practices in states and localities. Holder’s claims of police abuse helped divert the media coverage about the report from his admission that the much-televised “hands up, don’t shoot!” slogan is based on false claims.

“Our investigation [of the shooting] has been both fair and rigorous from the start… [officials] independently canvassed more than 300 residences to locate and interview additional witnesses,” he said. According to the report, “there are several individuals who have stated that Brown held his hands up in an unambiguous sign of surrender prior to Wilson shooting him dead [but] their accounts do not support a prosecution of Wilson. … As detailed throughout this report, some of those accounts are inaccurate because they are inconsistent with the physical and forensic evidence; some of those accounts are materially inconsistent with that witness’s own prior statements with no explanation, credible for otherwise, as to why those accounts changed over time. Certain other witnesses who originally stated Brown had his hands up in surrender recanted their original accounts, admitting that they did not witness the shooting or parts of it, despite what they initially reported either to federal or local law enforcement or to the media. Prosecutors did not rely on those accounts when making a prosecutive decision,” said the report.

The report also admitted that the police officer’s description of the incident was confirmed by witnesses.

The great, amazing, incomparable Stan Evans is dead

“If and when Congress votes on a new immigration bill — whatever the “triggers,” timetables or other provisos — the real issue to be decided will be the same as it has been from the beginning. That issue is whether the Republican Party, dazed from a daily pounding by the Washington press corps, will agree to commit political suicide by enfranchising 11 plus million illegal aliens on U.S. soil, the vast majority of whom will soon be casting Democratic ballots.”

So wrote the great M. Stanton Evans, who passed away on Tuesday. Having been at the forefront of the movement to draft Ronald Reagan and defeat the Evil Empire, Evans had recently turned to the next greatest danger for America: immigration.

As I’m sure you’ve read by now, Evans helped kick off the American Conservative Union’s first-ever CPAC in January 1974 and invited Gov. Ronald Reagan to speak. (This was back when CPAC mattered.)

That conference occurred in the middle of the Watergate scandal. If you think things look bad now, right-wingers, imagine how it looked back then. Conservatives were already livid over President Nixon’s wage and price controls, and then got hit with stories about members of the Nixon administration breaking into Democrat headquarters and burglarizing the psychiatrist’s office of Pentagon Papers-leaker Daniel Ellsberg.

Stan confessed to the CPAC conferees that he never liked Nixon until Watergate. He apologized to Nixon speechwriter, Pat Buchanan, saying he wouldn’t have been so tough on the administration if he’d know about “all that great stuff you guys were doing.”

A few years later, the conservative movement suffered another blow when Reagan ran for president a second time in 1976 and lost the primary to Gerald Ford, who then lost the presidential election to Jimmy Carter. Conservatives were in despair and champing at the bit to start a third party.

After the twice-defeated Reagan spoke to cheering throngs at CPAC in 1977, Evans, who opposed the third-party option, told him, “Governor, we got your message, and I think you got ours.” Reagan ran for president a third time, won the presidency and saved the country.

(One thing you must always remember, right-wingers: Never run the same guy for president three times. Look how that turned out!)

Someone needs to put together a book of Stan’s quips because — as with Joe Sobran’s jokes — I am sure that a lot of us are using them still, without realizing their provenance. For decades, Stan was tapped to MC every conservative event in Washington because of his dry wit. He wrote beautifully, but avoided humor in his writing, something I attribute to the Yale education. In person, he was effortlessly hilarious, all the time, right up to his dying day — or at least up until two weeks ago when I last talked to him.

Stan pushed Reagan to run for president — back when many of the people now claiming credit for Reagan were running off to start a third party or supporting a Bush — and he had a major influence on Reagan’s economic policies in the White House through his writings for Human Events.

Reagan had developed a lot of his views reading Human Events and didn’t stop reading it when he became president. After Human Events’ Allan Ryskind bashed some Reagan economic policy on the front page, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Mike Deaver called Allan from Air Force One, furious that Reagan had read the piece and demanding that Allan come to the White House.

Allan brought Stan as his wingman. They met in the Roosevelt Room with Office of Management and Budget Director David Stockman, as well as White House officials Jim Baker and Dick Darman, Attorney General Ed Meese and others, most of them mad as hell that Reagan read this piss-ant publication and had called the meeting.

Stan laid into Stockman, insisting that the books had been “cooked.” Reagan walked in and out, enjoying Stockman’s dressing-down and siding with Stan and Allan. Before they left, Reagan told them, “Fellas, I’ve been reading you more but enjoying it less.”

That’s pretty cool. Yet and still, I believe Stan’s most lasting legacy will be his defense of Sen. Joe McCarthy.

Telling the truth about McCarthy was a lifetime hobby of Stan’s. It had become an obsession about the time I was working at Human Events and having lunch every week with Stan, Allan and Human Events editor Tom Winter. We’d get Stan’s wry observations about current events, but also hear about his latest discovery of this or that never-before-seen document revealing the Democrats’ fraternizing with Stalin’s agents.

Stan gave me a few teaser documents for my book “Treason: Liberal Treachery From the Cold War to the War on Terrorism,” which liberals denounced on the grounds that I wore short skirts and also that it was insufficiently “scholarly.”

A couple years later, they got “scholarly” — and no short skirts — with Stan’s 600-plus-page opus, “Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America’s Enemies.”

Liberals can keep putting out their silly little movies about the BNOFUM (Black Night of Fascism Under McCarthy), but it’s over. The truth is out, for all to see. Documents proving McCarthy’s case, as well as the left’s campaign of lies about him, will always be just an Amazon click away.

I can’t remember Stan being on the wrong side of any issue — including when he was screaming from the rooftops that Republicans’ work was not done just because they had managed to block Hillarycare.

The GOP argument that “America has the best health care in the world!” may have sufficed to stop Hillarycare, but it was not going stop national health care forever. Fix it, he said. Make it market-based. Allow competition. Otherwise, some other Democrat would come along and dump socialized medicine on the country.

He was right about that, and he’s right about immigration being the most dangerous threat to America’s survival since the Cold War. Immigration, Stan wrote a few years ago, “is strictly about the votes, and nothing but the votes. All the rest is sham and smokescreen. Obama and his party want their 70 percent of these 11-plus million illegals and will stop at nothing to get it.”

Two weeks ago, he told me not to give up. And neither should you, America.

Egyptian Government Closes 27,000 MOSQUES in Move to Fight Terrorism

Egyptian President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi told attendees at Davos that Islam was in need of a “religious revolution.”

The Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowment shuttered 27,000 local mosques under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
Al-Monitor reported:

The Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowment has shuttered 27,000 local places of worship under the pretext of fighting terrorism, while awarding 400 preaching permits to Salafists**.

An Egyptian administrative court on Feb. 18 upheld the Ministry of Religious Endowments’ decision issued in September 2013 to close down neighborhood places of worship of less than 80 square meters (861 square feet), a move intended to protect young people from the militancy and extremism that can prevail in such places, which lack the legal standing to hold Friday prayers.

This move sets a precedent that raises many questions about the fate of mosques in many Egyptian villages, the grounds of which are usually less than 80 square meters. In reply, opponents of the decision such as the Salafist Nour Party claimed that closing down places of worship without providing a larger alternative serves to further bolster extremist ideology, considering that the larger existing mosques cannot accommodate Friday worshippers who line surrounding streets to pray. On the opposite end of the spectrum, supporters of the decision such as intellectuals and scholars say that those mosques are time bombs that threaten national security, as they fall outside the purview of the Ministry of Religious Endowments and are used to spread subversive ideologies.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama will not even utter the words “Islamic terrorism.”

Salafis are the “dominant minority” in Saudi Arabia.[2] There are 4 million Saudi Salafis, with that country’s population being described as 22.9% Salafis while most of the rest are Wahhabi.[1][3] The Salafi movement is often described as synonymous with Wahhabism, but Salafists consider the term “Wahhabi” derogatory.[4] Observers differ over whether Salafi are the same as Wahhabis or not. At other times, Salafism has been described as a hybrid of Wahhabism and other post-1960s movements.[5] Salafism has become associated with literalist, strict and puritanical approaches to Islam – and, particularly in the West, with the Salafi Jihadis who espouse offensive jihad against those they deem to be enemies of Islam as a legitimate expression of Islam.[6]

Academics and historians have used the term “Salafism” to denote “a school of thought which surfaced in the second half of the 19th century as a reaction to the spread of European ideas” and “sought to expose the roots of modernity within Muslim civilization.”[7][8] However contemporary Salafis follow “literal, traditional … injunctions of the sacred texts”, looking to Ibn Taymiyyah rather than the “somewhat freewheeling interpretation” of 19th century figures Muhammad Abduh, Jamal al-Din al-Afghani, and Rashid Rida.[9][10] The Muslim Brotherhood is often differentiated from Salafi, although the group did include the term in the “About Us” section of its website.[11]

It is often reported from various sources, including the German domestic intelligence service, that Salafism is the fastest-growing Islamic movement in the world.[12][13][14][15]

In legal matters, Salafis are divided between those who, in the name of independent legal judgement (ijtihad), reject strict adherence (taqlid) to the four schools of law (madhahib) and others who remain faithful to these.

Liberalism & Religion: A Vexing Dichotomy

It’s a generally accepted rule of thumb that there are inherent risks associated with writing/blogging while angry… and that doing so should be avoided… but I intend to ignore that this morning.

It really chaps my gluteus maximus whenever I see the term “nuttery of the Christian right”, or any number of the other happily accepted terms of denigration that emanate like a stale odor from the so-called “liberal” or “progressive left”.You know…for all the promises that have been made and been broken over the years since this notion of “liberalism” began to get its hands around the throat of American culture, all I can see from my spot up here in the cheap seats is a wasteland of moral and human corruption and decay.

Don’t get me wrong-I am perfectly okay with them exercising their rights to do all the foolish and self-destructive things they do, but I’ve had my fill of the bloody lot of them mocking those of us who do not share their warped sense of self glorification and general outlook on life and the human experience or their enthusiasm for trying to destroy it in others who do not see the world as they do.

It is my humble opinion that, under their tutelage, ours is fast-becoming a country that is nearly as repressive and repressed as those others around the world liberals insist on trying to convert to our way of doing things. One need not look very far to see how well that’s working out.

It was the indirectly related article over at Salon Magazine linked above (I know… I know…) that got me thinking about the “have it both ways” problem on the left; it’s an inherent flaw in the ideology to presume you can succeed by tearing down others who succeed in order to create a victim class you can provide for and ultimately control. This approach to governance-without fail-leads to rebellion and revolt but this flaw hasn’t discouraged them from trying over, and over, and over again to perfect it.

It seems that no one ever told them the joke about the definition of “insanity”.

With all that in mind, and given the state of affairs in the Middle East these days – and the rise of apocalyptic pursuits of some severely unhinged people – I shouldn’t have been surprised by the Salon article and its author’s Snoopy dance over news that our own culture is increasingly becoming God-averse. I shouldn’t have, but – sadly – I was.

And yet here we are… in the matter of this ISIS madness… hearing the liberal rallying cry to search for all the ways in which ISIS came to be because of the evils of Western society (which, remember, liberals are currently in charge of), asking us to try to “relate” to them… to somehow try to understand and embrace their alleged “plight”. I’m honestly more than a little surprised that liberals are this stupid, but I guess I shouldn’t be. One has to admit, though, that we are staring down the barrel of one helluva paradigm shift.

I can’t help but ask though: why is it that liberals have no tolerance for a God-based belief system in America while falling all over themselves to embrace one thousands of miles away?

Perhaps it is a rhetorical question. You only need to slog through the first paragraph of the Salon piece to get what I’m trying to say here:

With fire-breathing religion figuring anew in global conflicts, and political discussions at home often dominated by the nuttery of the Christian right, you might get the sense that somebody’s god is ready to mug you around every street corner. But if you’re the type who doesn’t like to hang your hat on organized religion, here’s a bit of good news: In America, your numbers are growing.

As Commidus said, in the movie “Gladiator”: It vexes me. I’m terribly vexed.

I get it – I really get it- conservatives are bad, liberals are good, Salon (and other mags like theirs) say so therefore it must be true. And while the Salon piece has nothing to do with ISIS (per se), it begs the question my liberal friends can’t answer which is simply:

How is it possible that a group of people, hiding behind the words of their greatest spiritual leader – brutally murdering innocent people while justifying their actions by invoking his name – get any mercy whatsoever while so many Christian Americans continue to be witch-hunted into underground bunkers and relative obscurity for trying to follow the teachings of, and live by, the examples of love and personal sacrifice of Christianity’s spiritual leader?

For my money, I’m betting it’s because they are afraid we may be right about heaven and hell and they won’t have a plausible excuse for their lives and how they lived them, having nothing but disdain for our spiritual leader as they spent their days stomping their feet all over his teachings, mocking and rebuking him.

I’m guessing it will be getting a little warm when they’re having that little chin whack with St. Peter at the pearly gates.

NYPD in training to combat potential ISIS attack

The NYPD has quietly spent the last six months making preparations for a potential ISIS assault in Manhattan, which police fear could be similar to the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, India, sources told The Post. Cops have been trained to deal with coordinated bombings and shootings, as in the four-day terror assault that killed more than 160 people in Mumbai, the sources said. Police trainers have even placed a map of Manhattan over a map of Mumbai to show the geographical similarities, one source said.

Several hundred cops have been reassigned to counterterrorism duties, and some have been trained to use high-powered rifles to take out potential terrorist snipers. Concerns about an ISIS attack against New York have escalated ever since the US military recently announced plans to help drive the terrorist group out of its stronghold in Mosul, Iraq, a source said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday he offered a “practical alternative” to the deal being negotiated over Iran’s nuclear program, after President Barack Obama criticized his address to Congress as containing “nothing new.” Obama said Netanyahu didn’t offer any “viable alternative” and that “as far as I can tell, there was nothing new” in the Tuesday speech.

“In my speech before the Congress, I presented a practical alternative,” Netanyahu said upon landing at Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport. He said his alternative would impose tougher restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program and delay how quickly the Islamic Republic could assemble a nuclear weapon.

The prime minister said that he had received positive responses from both sides of the aisle. “The response I received from both Democrats and Republicans was very supportive,” Netanyahu said. “I got the impression that they better understand that the current proposal would lead to a bad deal and that the alternative is a better deal.”

Netanyahu reiterated that he had pushed the six powers currently negotiating with Iran — Britain, China, France, Russia, Germany and the United States — to link easing sanctions to Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism, not just to the nuclear issue. “I also called on the P5+1 to insist on a deal that would link the lifting of those restrictions to Iran’s ceasing its sponsorship of terrorism around the world, its aggression against its neighbors and its calls for Israel’s destruction,” Netanyahu said.

The prime minister’s office issued a string of tweets quoting Netanyahu, concluding with the greeting, “Happy Purim,” the holiday based on the experiences recounted in the Book of Esther where the Jewish people were saved from a genocidal Persian official. Netanyahu in his Tuesday address compared the biblical narrative to the existential threat Iran poses to Israel today.

After Netanyahu’s speech, Obama told reporters that “on the core issue, which is how do we prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which would make it far more dangerous and would give it scope for even greater action in the region, the prime minister didn’t offer any viable alternatives.”

Netanyahu told Congress Tuesday, “Now we’re being told that the only alternative to this bad deal is war. That’s just not true. The alternative to this bad deal is a much better deal,” the prime minister said.

The problem

Questions of police accountability and efficacy have been prominent topics in the news of late. On a disturbingly regular basis, we hear and read stories of heavy-handed responses by officers, who, instead of de-escalating confrontations as a domestic police force ought, seem to prefer committing violence on the citizenry they’re ostensibly charged to protect.

What’s more, pursuant to supreme and federal court cases such as Castle Rock v. Gonzales and Warren v. District of Columbia, it is established precedent that police have no legal obligation to “protect and serve” the population. Law enforcement officers can and have, quite literally, stood by and watched while victims were brutally assaulted, done nothing, and because of their special legal status, could not be held liable afterwards.

So where does that leave the citizenry who pays both the fiscal and physical price for maintaining a police force of increasingly questionable legitimacy? In short, we have an overly aggressive, militarized law enforcement community that embraces an “us vs. them” mentality, who has no real obligation to protect or serve, and because of legal precedent cannot be held accountable when they overstep their authority. Maybe it’s time to reexamine the entire paradigm of modern, government sanctioned policing.

A potential solution: the private sector

In 2012, Sharpstown, a community just southwest of Houston, Texas, declined to renew its contract with the constable’s office, and hired S.E.A.L. Security Solutions, a private firm, to patrol their streets. Although calls to the Sharpstown Civic Association were not returned, it’s easy to deduce why they embraced the idea of a privatized security solution. “Since we’ve been in there, an independent crime study that they’ve had done [indicates] we’ve reduced the crime by 61% in just 20 months”, says James Alexander, Director of Operations for SEAL. You read that right: Crime dropped 61% in Sharpstown in just over a year and a half.

The reason for their striking success is two-fold, Alexander states. He cites the continuous patrol of SEAL’s officers in their assigned neighborhoods as opposed to the strategy of intermittent presence that the constable embraced. “On a constable patrol contract, it’s either a 70/30 or an 80/20. Meaning they say they patrol your community 70 percent of the time, [while] 30 percent of the time they use for running calls out of your area or writing reports.”

He continues, “The second thing that drastically reduces the crime is that we do directed patrols, meaning we don’t just put an officer out there and say ‘here, go patrol.’ We look at recent crime stats, and we work off of those crime stats. So if we have hotspots in those areas say for that month, we focus and concentrate our efforts around those hotspots.”

Personal accountability

When asked to compare traditional law enforcement to the SEAL model, Alexander explains, “Law enforcement officers are trained to be reactive. They’re out there to run calls, they’re running one call to another, so they’re reacting to something that’s already happened. Private security, the way that we train our guys, is more proactive, meaning that we’re in the community proactively patrolling to prevent those crimes.”

Not only is SEAL more successful at crime prevention than traditional law enforcement, they’re cheaper. Sharpstown is saving $200,000 per year over their previous contract with the constable, and they get more patrol officers for less money.

Civil libertarians will appreciate the accountability of SEAL’s officers; they cannot hide behind qualified immunity and police unions. “We do not receive the same protection, as we are in the private sector,” Alexander states, “However we are not bound by the same restraints either, like violating civil rights.” While his second statement may be a little troubling, it should be noted that because of their private sector status, any SEAL officer who crosses the line can be held personally liable, both criminally and financially, unlike government agents.

The idea of privatizing policing is catching on. As of this writing, over 70 communities in Harris County and most of the major management districts have contracted with SEAL. They’re less expensive, better at crime prevention, they do not target citizens for revenue, and, best of all, each officer is personally accountable for his or her actions. The rest of the country would do well to closely examine the success of Sharpstown’s implementation of private security.

U.S. won’t provide airstrikes for Iraqi offensive against Islamic State: Pentagon

The U.S. is not providing airstrikes to help the Iraqi government’s new counteroffensive to again try to take back the Sunni Muslim stronghold of Tikrit from the Islamic State terrorist army. The American-led coalition has conducted thousands of airstrikes since August to whittle down the Islamic State occupiers, but in this case, it is letting Iraqi aircraft do the bombing.

After at least two failed attempts in recent months to capture Tikrit, Iraq has mustered a much larger force of 25,000. A large number of them are not the regular Iraqi army but Shiite militia fighters who are battling Iraqi Sunni groups loyal to the Islamic State, also called ISIL and ISIS. Iraq’s largest counteroffensive to date began Monday morning with thrusts from the south and north aimed at retaking Saddam Hussein’s old neighborhood. Press reports from Baghdad said Iranians were backing up the Shia militias, creating a possible combustible ethnic mix that could break out into sectarian violence instead of a well-orchestrated campaign.

“The Sunnis are torn between holding their nose and siding with ISIS or putting up with Shia militia and Iranian proxies,” said Robert Maginnis, a retired Army officer and military analyst. “Sectarianism is very much alive, and will drive this conflict far more than the political leaders admit.”

The government of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced the attack with an olive branch to Iraqi Sunnis who joined the Islamic State: Leave the group and win a grant of amnesty. Navy Cmdr. Elissa Smith, a Pentagon spokeswoman, referred to the battle as “their [Iraq’s] operation. The U.S. has not provided airstrikes in support of the operation,” Cmdr. Smith said. “From my understanding, the Iraqis haven’t asked us to. All of our airstrikes are conducted in coordination with the Iraqis.”

Mr. Maginnis said much of the fighting will be done by Shiite militiamen guided by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Quds Force, which trained the same types of fighters in how to kill Americans during the 2003-2011 Iraq War. “The Iraqi Security Forces are unprepared for close-in combat and won’t be [ready] for some time,” Mr. Maginnis said.

Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported that Quds force commander Gen. Ghasem Soleimani arrived in Iraq two days ago to coordinate the attack. The Islamic State condemns all Shiites, including Iranians, as apostates or nonbelievers. The large presence of Iranian-backed fighters may be the reason for no U.S. airstrikes since the Americans would, in effect, be providing close air support for Iran.

Home to about 250,000 Iraqis, Tikrit sits 80 miles north of Baghdad and is the capital of Salauhddin province. The city put up considerable resistance to the U.S. occupation. It was home to a number of al Qaeda in Iraq terrorist cells, out of which sprung the Islamic State. The Associated Press in Baghdad reported that special U.N. envoy Nickolay Mladenov urged fighters to spare civilians. “Military operations reinforced by international and Iraqi air support must be conducted with the utmost care to avoid civilian casualties and with full respect for fundamental human rights principles and humanitarian law,” Mr. Mladenov said. Controlling the city would be a big boost to the six-month-old Shiite-dominated government of Mr. Abadi and possibly provide a launching point to invade the large city of Mosul farther north.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. James Dubik, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, said many questions remain: Can Iraq’s government reclaim Tikrit? How does Baghdad plan to hold it? Will any recriminations follow? On Mr. Abadi’s timing, Mr. Dubik said, the operation may be a chance to increase confidence in the Iraqi Security Forces, test the Islamic State’s defenses and shorten ground supply routes for battle in Mosul. Mr. Abadi traveled to Samarra on Sunday to address fighters poised to attack.

Samarra is the hometown of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a cleric who rose in the ranks of al Qaeda in Iraq and then formed the Islamic State in eastern Syria amid the so-called Arab Spring that spawned opposition to Syrian President Bashar Assad. The Islamic State’s conquests in Iraq began in January 2014, when it invaded the western portion of the country, eventually capturing the city of Fallujah, for which the U.S. expended much blood in 2004 in two major battles. Six months later, Islamic State terrorists swept out of Syria into northern Iraq, taking Sunni-dominated cities such as Mosul and Tikrit. The Iraqi Security Forces put up little resistance. Sunni commanders felt little allegiance to the Shiite government of then-Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. The U.S. said Mr. al-Maliki ruined the military’s command structure by firing competent generals and alienating Sunni tribal leaders.

Lawyer: Department of Justice Shut Down Search For Lois Lerner’s Emails

The Department of Justice blocked an attempt to force the Internal Revenue Service to search for Lois Lerner’s missing emails at off-site storage facilities, according to a lawyer pushing to obtain the emails. The IRS never looked for Lerner’s backup email tapes at the West Virginia storage facility where they were being housed. Treasury deputy inspector general Timothy Camus told Congress that the IRS never asked IT professionals at the New Martinsville, W.V. storage site for the backup tapes. Camus only found the backup tape for Lerner’s missing 2011 emails about two weeks ago. But the Obama administration knew that emails were stored at off-site facilities, and even shut down a legal request to send somebody to go look for them. “We said in court that there are off-site servers where all IRS emails are stored,” lawyer Cleta Mitchell told The Daily Caller.

Mitchell represents the voter-ID group True the Vote in its lawsuit against the IRS over improper targeting. Shortly after it was revealed last summer that the IRS was missing Lerner’s emails, Mitchell petitioned U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton for an independent forensic examiner to be appointed to investigate the missing emails. Mitchell referred to the IRS’ off-site storage facilities in West Virginia and Pittsburgh in court in July. But DOJ lawyers representing the IRS and the Treasury inspector general argued that Mitchell could not even discuss the existence of the storage facilities in her capacity as a lawyer. “The Department of Justice lawyers objected to that and said I shouldn’t even be allowed to mention these off-site servers without sworn affidavits,” Mitchell told TheDC. “They meant that I was trying to testify to the judge without bringing in witnesses with sworn affidavits.”

Mitchell’s motion to get an independent forensic examiner was denied. The IRS’ internal investigation never headed to West Virginia, and the Treasury inspector general’s investigation managed to find a pertinent tape in West Virginia a mere two weeks before last Thursday’s House Oversight hearing. One of the IRS employees tasked with finding data on Lerner’s crashed hard drive was legally blind.

Mitchell’s statement about the off-site servers was clear as day, according to court transcripts obtained by TheDC. “I’m advised that the IRS maintains servers that are in different states in different locations and that IRS employees are advised that their emails are never lost,” Mitchell said in court, according to the transcripts. “That’s what I’ve been told as far as my emails here,” the court replied. “And I have had individuals who worked with, for the IRS from all across the country who have communicated that to me,” Mitchell continued. “And they say — I hear from government employees, retired and active, who say what is being said is not possible. It is not plausible and it is contrary to what we are told as employees of the IRS.”

Mitchell requested “the opportunity to at least have some expert look at whether the perimeters of the investigation are complete and … will fully cover all of the potential ways or places in which this investigation should look or take into consideration.” But the email tapes sat there in West Virginia, alone and unexamined.

DOJ did not return a request for comment for this report. As TheDC reported, the IRS fired its email-storage contractor Sonasoft just weeks after Lerner’s email-deleting computer crash.

Obama “Very Interested” In Raising Taxes Through Executive Action

So I am not in a position to talk in any detail at this point, but the president is very interested in this avenue generally,” Earnest finished.

Sanders sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Friday identifying a number of executive actions he believes the IRS could take, without any input from Congress, that would close loopholes currently used by corporations. In the past, IRS lawyers have been hesitant to use executive actions to raise significant amounts of revenue, but that same calculation has change in other federal agencies since Obama became president.

Obama’s preferred option would be for Congress to pass a corporate tax hike that would fund liberal infrastructure projects like mass transit. But if Congress fails to do as Obama wishes, just as Congress has failed to pass the immigration reforms that Obama prefers, Obama could take actions unilaterally instead. This past November, for example, Obama gave work permits, Social Security Numbers, and drivers licenses to approximately 4 million illegal immigrants.

Those immigration actions, according to the Congressional Budget Office, will raise federal deficits by $8.8 billion over the next ten years.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used a controversial speech before the U.S. Congress to appeal to President Obama to pull back on nuclear talks with Iran, warning the “bad deal” in the works “paves Iran’s path to the bomb” and could lead to a “potential nuclear nightmare.” The Israeli leader made his impassioned case Tuesday in a highly anticipated address in Washington. He claimed the potential deal would make two major concessions which would threaten the security of Israel and the region by retaining Iran’s ability to start up a nuclear weapons program.

“This is a bad deal. It’s a very bad deal. We’re better off without it,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli leader spoke as part of a high-profile push to make his case against the pending deal. He said the agreement in the works makes two major concessions. First, it would leave in place a “vast nuclear infrastructure,” since it wouldn’t require nuclear facilities to be destroyed — some centrifuges would be allowed to keep running, while others would merely be disconnected, he said.

Second, Netanyahu said the restrictions would “automatically expire” in about a decade. “It’s the blink of an eye in the life of a nation,” Netanyahu said. The deal, he said, “doesn’t block Iran’s path to the bomb. It paves Iran’s path to the bomb.” He reminded the audience of Iran’s deep history of funding terror and threatening Israel.

Countering the argument that the alternative to this deal is war, Netanyahu argued that the alternative is actually a “much better deal” — and suggested the U.S. has the leverage to achieve that.

The address was the centerpiece of a controversial visit that has fueled diplomatic tensions between the Obama and Netanyahu administrations — and political tensions on Capitol Hill. House Speaker John Boehner had invited the Israeli leader without involving Obama, which is considered a breach in protocol. Republican leaders defended the move, saying it’s important for Netanyahu to explain the threats posed by Iran and his concerns with the current nuclear talks. But dozens of Democrats sat out the Israeli leader’s speech. And Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice went so far in recent days as to call Netanyahu’s speech “destructive” to U.S.-Israeli ties — though administration officials have since toned down their characterization of his visit.

In his opening remarks, Netanyahu said he regrets some have perceived his visit as political. “That was never my intention,” he said. Despite the controversy, he received a standing ovation from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, and was interrupted roughly 40 times by applause.

Meanwhile, he urged the U.S. not to “be fooled” by Iran’s recent efforts to oppose the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, a group the U.S. also is fighting. Netanyahu said those groups are “competing for the crown of militant Islam.” “When it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy — is your enemy,” he said.

He also blasted the terms of the potential nuclear deal. He said Iran is notorious for playing a game of “hide and cheat” with inspectors. Both the Obama and Netanyahu administrations, as a matter of policy, agree that Iran must not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon. But the Israeli leader has concerns that the framework of the current diplomatic talks could lead to an ineffective deal.

Obama, speaking in an interview Monday night with Reuters on the eve of Netanyahu’s speech to Congress, acknowledged the shared goal, then added Netanyahu “thinks that the best way to do that is either through doubling down on more sanctions or through military action, ensuring that Iran has absolutely no enrichment capabilities whatsoever.” He added, “there’s no good reason for us not to let the negotiations play themselves out.”

Obama has no plans to meet with the prime minister — though the White House insists this is out of a desire not to appear to be influencing upcoming Israeli elections. Netanyahu considers unacceptable any deal that does not entirely end Iran’s nuclear program. But Obama is willing to leave some nuclear activity intact, backed by safeguards that Iran is not trying to develop a weapon. Iran insists its program is solely for peaceful energy and medical research.

The address comes as Congress also weighs legislation that would trigger more sanctions against Iran if a diplomatic deal fails. Obama opposes that bill.

The images keep flooding our timelines and news feeds. Men being burned alive or beheaded by masked assassins. Stories of families on the run, fleeing their homes while they are pillaged and burned. Their testimonies hold a familiar chord. “Convert, Pay or Die!”

The persecution of Christians is not a new concept. As early as the first century we read about the Spirit filled boldness of Christians like Stephen and Paul who proclaimed the gospel through beatings and imprisonment, torture and death. We remember Christ’s disciples, most of whom were killed just like their master. Roman emperors like Nero, executed Christians in the most ghastly ways, using them as torches to light the evening sky.

In spite of all this adversity, Christianity continued to spread because men and woman, empowered by the Holy Spirit stood strong in the face of certain death; some being delivered and others falling. As I sit here in a 21st century United States, I can’t help but wonder when we too will face martyrdom for our faith. On this very day nearly 50 countries have laws that restrict or outlaw Christianity, leading to the harassment, imprisonment and death of those who follow Christ. On this day, in countries like North Korea and China, Christians gather for church underground to avoid being arrested by police. On this day, in Nigeria thousands mourn the deaths of their loved ones killed by Boko Haram in their quest to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state. On this day, in Cuba, Christian ministries continue to risk their freedom as the countries continues to feel the effects of Communist rule.

BUT, on this day, Jesus words in Luke still ring true,

“And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8

I tremble with fear at the thought of facing such incredible atrocities for the sake of Christ. How could I stand firm, staring down the barrel of a gun, the life of my family in the balance? I shudder, thinking of that day. I feel so inadequate. Rest assured, fellow Americans, if it hasn’t already, our day WILL COME.

Jesus goes on, providing us comfort and hope for this day. He says,

“When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Luke 12:11,12

My only hope in such trying times is the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the X factor. He will give us the strength, words, and vision when our backs are against the wall. Jesus promised the believer many things. Eternal life, abundant life, peace, purpose and forgiveness to name a few. He also promises that they, like him, WILL be betrayed, hated and persecuted, even to death. (Luke 21:12-19)

The Internet has brought close what used to be foreign. Shocking, disturbing worldwide news is available in the palm of our hands. As we see these videos and images we must remember in prayer our brothers and sisters who are suffering for Christ. We must support them in any way we can for they are being witnesses to their oppressors.
Secondly, we must WAKE UP from our slumber, be on guard and stand firm. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Spiritual unity in the body will help us weather the coming storms. We must REMEMBER that as terrible as things are and will become, they are simply signs pointing to one thing; His Imminent Return.

“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28

‘Slaughter of major proportions’ feared after ISIS kidnaps 300 Christians

Authorities fear that ISIS will launch an “on-camera slaughter of major proportions” after kidnapping at least 300 Christians in Syria last week, a top US official told The Post. “What is very disconcerting is that they rounded up all of these people, and we know from experience that they usually kill their captives on film and in the most brutal fashion,” the official explained. “Remember, they’ve already gone from beheading one person on camera to, most recently, beheading 21 people on camera,” the official added, referring to the nearly two dozen Coptic Christians slaughtered on video released last month. “This could very well turn into an on camera slaughter of major proportions.”

The terrorists have garnered the ire of Pope Francis, who has called the 21 killed Christians “martyrs’’ — and led a massive pray-in at St. Peter’s Square in Rome on Sunday for others held captive. “Everyone, in line with their possibilities, [should] act to alleviate the suffering,” the Pope said.

Meanwhile, reports emerged Sunday that ISIS released at least 19 of the Assyrian Christians it kidnapped. Those freed were 50 years of age or older; 16 were men and three women, according to AP. The group had all been from the same village and they arrived Sunday safely at the Church of the Virgin Mary in the city of Hassakeh after traveling by bus from the ISIS-held town of Shaddadeh. The captives had been ordered freed by a Shariah court after paying an unspecified amount of money, which was levied as a tax on non-Muslims, the Assyrian Human Rights Network said.

ISIS militants first began rounding up scores of civilians — most of them women and children — Feb. 23 after overrunning a string of villages in northeast Syria, according to the Britain-based activist group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Another US military official, also speaking anonymously, described the range of possible scenarios that could unfold now that ISIS is rounding up captives by the hundreds. “One is enslavement, which consists of cooking, cleaning and digging holes for [ISIS] soldiers on the front lines,” the official said. “And then of course, there’s the scenario involving executions. That’s our greatest fear.”

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, strongly suggested the fix was in from the beginning by GOP leaders to sabotage the fight against Obama’s amnesty, saying, “The cake was baked from the start.” The senator said that was evident to him immediately when GOP leaders chose a bill funding the Department of Homeland Security, or DHS, as the vehicle to try to stop the amnesty President Obama granted to five-million illegal immigrants by executive order in November. Cruz made the observations while speaking to a small group of reporters across the street from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, on Thursday.

WND kicked off the conversation by asking: Why won’t GOP leaders fight amnesty?

If the GOP leadership had really wanted to stop amnesty, Cruz explained, they would not have attached the provision defunding Obama’s amnesty to the DHS funding bill.

They would have attached it to a bill defunding the Environmental Protection Agency, “or some other non-essential agency.”

He described such agencies as “hostages the GOP could afford to hold.”

Cruz insisted GOP leaders knew all along that rank-and-file Republicans would never vote to defund the DHS during a time of increasing terror threats at home and abroad. Instead, he said, they chose a strategy that was clearly designed to fail. Cruz said he is optimistic in the long run but pessimistic in the short term about stemming the flow of illegal immigrants.

He is pessimistic because “GOP leadership joined with (Senate Minority Leader) Harry Reid, D-Nev., to pass amnesty.” Cruz was referring to the move this week by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to offer a “clean” bill funding the DHS, which meant dropping the provision in the bill that would have defunded implementation of Obama’s amnesty. Instead, McConnell offered a separate bill to defund amnesty, which is headed to near-certain defeat because Republicans will not be able to muster the 60 Senate votes needed to avoid a Democratic filibuster.

But Cruz said he is optimistic about the issue in the long run because of the ever-increasing public support behind the need to secure the Southern border. The senator insisted, if lawmakers were to focus on areas of bipartisan agreement, immigration reform legislation would “sail through Congress.” He identified the top two areas of bipartisan agreement as securing the border and “streamlining” the process for legal immigration.

But instead of looking for genuine progress on the issue, Cruz said, Obama and his fellow Democrats have used immigration as a “partisan cudgel,” purely for political purposes. The senator implied Obama is not serious about immigration reform and doesn’t really care about the plight of immigrants, but would rather use them and the issue as a political weapon to increase his power. As proof of that, the senator noted how the president had a “supermajority” of Democrats in Congress during his first two years in office and could have passed any immigration reform legislation he wanted, and Republicans would have been powerless to stop him. Instead, Obama “did zero. Nothing.”

Cruz flatly accused Obama of using the Hispanic community for political purposes, saying simply, “It’s wrong.”

We are told again and again by ‘experts’ and ‘talking heads’ that Islam is the religion of peace and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor-kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. It is the fanatics who teach their young to kill and to become suicide bombers.The hard, quantifiable fact is that the peaceful majority, the ‘silent majority,’ is cowed and extraneous. Communist Russia was comprised of Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China’s huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people..

The average Japanese individual prior to World War II was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And who can forget Rwanda , which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were ‘peace loving’?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason, we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points: peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don’t speak up, because like my friend from Germany , they will awaken one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs, Afghans, Iraqis, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.

Now Islamic prayers have been introduced into Toronto and other public schools in Ontario , and, yes, in Ottawa too while the Lord’s Prayer was removed (due to being so offensive?) The Islamic way may be peaceful for the time being in our country until the fanatics move in.

In Australia , and indeed in many countries around the world, many of the most commonly consumed food items have the halal emblem on them. Just look at the back of some of the most popular chocolate bars, and at other food items in your local supermarket. Food on aircraft have the halal emblem, just to appease the privileged minority who are now rapidly expanding within the nation’s shores.

In the U.K, the Muslim communities refuse to integrate and there are now dozens of “no-go” zones within major cities across the country that the police force dare not intrude upon. Sharia law prevails there, because the Muslim community in those areas refuse to acknowledge British law.

As for us who watch it all unfold, we must pay attention to the only group that counts — the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, anyone who doubts that the issue is serious and just ignores this post without sharing it, is contributing to the passiveness that allows the problems to expand. So, extend yourself a bit and share this over and over again! Let us hope that thousands, world-wide, read this and think about it, and share it – before it’s too late.

District and Appellate Courts have betrayed the American people in countless ways, but among them has included the arbitrary and capricious overturning of traditional marriage laws enacted in more than 30 states, that were the result of democratic elections!

Then of course, the U.S. Supreme Court, despite volumes of evidence to the contrary, flouted the wisdom and popular consensus of our people, and voted 5-4 to uphold the despised Affordable Care Act, nicknamed ” Obamacare “.

Those best practices likely will eventually include rules that restrict police investigations of groups that are part of the Democratic coalition, and rule that try to level convictions and penalties among various sub-groups of the United States, regardless of actual conviction rates.
