New York Abortion Bill Allows Shooting Babies Through the Heart With Poison to Kill Them

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/05/20/new-york-abortion-bill-allows-shooting-babies-through-the-heart-with-poison-to-kill-them/

It’s back! The so-called Women’s Equality Act, which allows late-term abortions in New York for virtually any reason, has returned.

A group of pro-abortion Democratic State Senators continued to push today for abortion-expansion, despite polls showing the overwhelming majority of New Yorkers oppose their dangerous agenda. And the bill has grisly consequences.

“How many times do New Yorkers have to reject this radical agenda that would legalize abortion for any reason through all nine months?” asked Lori Kehoe, New York State Right to Life executive director. “New York is already the abortion capital of the United States, with practically no oversight of the industry, but they would rather protect the abortion business than New York women. It’s wrong.”

digoxinThroughout the second trimester, late abortions can be completed by dismembering the developed unborn child, even when they can feel pain, pulling the baby out piece by piece until the mother’s uterus is empty. After the abortion, the abortionist must reassemble the child’s body to ensure nothing has been left inside the child’s mother.

In abortions that take place later in pregnancy, which would be legalized in New York by the abortion-expanding Women’s Equality Act, often babies are killed by sliding a needle filled with a chemical agent, such as digoxin, into the beating heart, before being delivered.

New York State Right to Life commented on reintroduction of the so-called “Women’s Equality Act” and pointed to another problem.

The 10th point of the Women’s Equality Act, pushed for by Governor Cuomo, would change New York law to open the doors for non-doctors to perform abortions, and to allow abortions in the third trimester for any reason. Current law already allows abortion at any point that a woman’s life is in danger, but the 10th point would change that to include any “health” reason as well. The key distinction is that “health” was defined in the 1973 court case Doe v. Bolton, providing a definition so broad that it far overreaches physical, or even mental, well-being.

A poll conducted by McLaughlin and Associates last year found that 79.5% of New Yorkers oppose allowing unlimited abortion right through the ninth month of pregnancy.

“It is still surprising to me that some Senators so militantly support abortion on demand that basic human rights, safety for mothers and even widespread public opinion months before an election is completely off their radar.”  They hide behind ‘health’ pretending their dangerous agenda is seeking to help women,” added Kehoe. “But the truth is that passage of the 10th point of the Women’s Equality Act only serves the violent abortion industry. We urge the New York State Senate to listen to the voters, and to common sense, and oppose this radical expansion of abortion.”

15-Year-Old Pregnant Girl Held in Abortion Clinic Against Her Will Rescued by Police

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/05/19/15-year-old-pregnant-girl-held-in-abortion-clinic-against-her-will-rescued-by-police/

by Sarah Terzo | Buffalo, NY | LifeNews.com | 5/19/14 9:39 AM

Buffalo, NY (LiveActionNews) — A teenager went through a harrowing ordeal at an abortion clinic on May 16, according to well-known pro-life activist Abby Johnson.

According to status updates posted on Facebook, Johnson, who told the story of her pro-life conversion from Planned Parenthood director to dedicated pro-lifer in her bestselling book Unplanned, received an emergency phone call from the mother of a pregnant fifteen-year-old she had been counseling.

Close-up Sad Teen GirlJohnson described how the girl, who had changed her mind about having an abortion, was held against her will in a locked room at an abortion clinic. She explains:

I have had contact with this 15 year old young woman for several weeks. I was put in touch with her by a prolifer in the Buffalo area who was hoping I could share my experiences with her. Her mother does not want her to have an abortion, but is not mentally stable. Her boyfriend is really pushing her to abort.

Please be in prayer that this young girl will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as she navigates through this journey. Also be in prayer for the local prolifers who are working with her directly. This is a difficult situation, but we know that God is in control.

It is not unusual for the partner of a pregnant woman to pressure her into abortion – in fact, one study showed that 64% of women who have abortions feel they were pressured into them, usually by their male partners. Johnson explained:

She went to the Buffalo Women’s Services tonight for an ultrasound only. As a 15 year old girl, she is very swayed by the opinions of her boyfriend…who does not want her to have anything to do with the pregnancy center in her area. It is not uncommon for private abortion clinics to see patients late at night.

In fact, here in Austin, we have a doctor that starts his abortion procedures sometimes at 10pm. She asked to see her ultrasound and the clinic absolutely refused. She decided then that they were obviously not interested in helping her and told them that she wanted to leave. They would not allow her to leave the room she was in and locked the door. Her mom started freaking out in the waiting room demanding to see her daughter. At that point, her mother was removed from the facility.

It was at this point that she started texting me and the prolifer she has been working with. Both of us called the police and they arrived shortly. Cheryl, the local (and amazing) prolifer drove to the clinic and the young girl was released in her custody for the weekend. The clinic where this girl was being held is the same one who is opening a “birth center” inside the abortion facility.

Some people may wonder why the girl did not call the police herself. A young teenager might find it intimidating or scary to call the police in such a situation, or may not have the perspective to think of it. It might be far more likely for her to reach out to people she knows and trusts, and who, because of their ongoing encouragement, she knew would help her.

The situation ended happily. Thanks to the actions of Johnson and the other pro-lifers, and the intervention of the police, both the girl and her baby are safe.

“What happened to the clinic? Are they under arrest? If not, WHY NOT? Need some answers.” JB

This shocking story shows how far some abortion clinics will go to pressure women into having abortions.

Johnson has asked all her followers to pray for the pregnant teen, who has not been named.

Pastor Arrested and Jailed for Holding Pro-Life Sign at Busy Intersection

Today Liberty Counsel filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the City of Columbus in Mississippi and Police Captain Frederick Shelton on behalf of Pastor Stephen Joiner, who was arrested and jailed for four hours simply for holding a sign stating that abortion kills children alongside a busy intersection in the city.Tyranney Alert

The pastor from Church of the Nazarene in Columbus was charged with failure to obey Captain Shelton, who ordered him to leave the area because Shelton thought he was obstructing traffic, even though Pastor Joiner was well back from the curb and peacefully holding his sign. At trial, Captain Shelton also claimed that Pastor Joiner had violated the City Parade Ordinance, even though he was standing alone at the time of his arrest. The charges were ultimately dismissed on July 25, 2013.

40d15“The First Amendment protects the right of citizens to express themselves on the public ways free of government interference,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “The city’s actions were entirely unjustified and are an affront to the fundamental rights of all Americans,” Staver added. “Even unpopular speech is protected when peacefully expressed, as Pastor Joiner did here.”

The lawsuit alleges that the city’s Parade Ordinance and Handbill Ordinance, which contains a blanket prohibition on the distribution of literature in any public place, are both unconstitutional. The suit also seeks a preliminary injunction to bar enforcement of the ordinances while the lawsuit is pending.

Liberty Counsel is an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989, by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics.

Her Baby Died During Birth, But Mom Asked To Hold Him; Two Hours Later, She Heard A Gasp

Last year, a premature newborn in Australia, born along with his twin sister at just 27 weeks’ gestation and weighing in at only two pounds, was pronounced dead by his physician after medical staff tried for twenty minutes to revive him.

kateoggJamie Ogg, now a little over four years old, is alive today only because of the undying love and affection of his mother.

LifeNews writer Lauren Enriquez wrote about what happened at the time:

According to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, when Jamie was pronounced dead, the doctor handed him to his mother, Kate, so that she could say goodbye to her son. Kate took Jamie into her arms and tearfully caressed her tiny son.

She and her husband spoke to him, telling him what his name was, and that he had a sister. She told him the things that she had wanted to do with him throughout his life. Kate held Jamie on her chest, skin-to-skin, and occasionally he would gasp – a reflex the doctor said was normal after death.

But Kate held on to Jamie for two hours, cradling and talking to him, and slowly she witnessed him beginning to show signs of life.

Now, a video of an interview with Kate is making its way around the Internet:

Planned Parenthood Abortion Doc Surrenders License After Sexually Molesting Patients

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/05/02/planned-parenthood-abortion-doc-surrenders-licenses-after-sexually-molesting-patients/

by Cheryl Sullenger | Boston, MA | LifeNews.com | 5/2/14 10:59 AM

A former Planned Parenthood abortionist has surrendered his Massachusetts medical license amid allegations that he sexually molested patients – many under anesthesia – during fertility treatments at Fertility Centers of New England.

However, yesterday’s story in the Boston Globe, which reported on Roger Ian Hardy’s legal woes, failed to mention that Hardy once worked for Planned Parenthood where he had similar access to women as he had at a fertility clinic where he molested and inappropriately touched women over a period of two decades.

“You won’t read about his connections to Planned Parenthood in the Boston Globe, but you should!” said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue. “Sexual abuse of patients and staianhardyff is more common than people realize among those who work as abortionists. These men have access to women when they are extremely vulnerable. It’s an unspeakable betrayal. Adding to the scandal is the reticence of medical boards to take action when women bravely come forward to file complaints. Hardy’s situation is a case in point.”

In 1991, Hardy began moonlighting for Planned Parenthood in Santa Clara, California, then moved to Massachusetts in 1992 when he began providing abortions for Planned Parenthood of League of Massachusetts, Inc. In the late 1990’s, documents show he was accused of at least one case of medical malpractice as evidenced in a suit filed against him and Planned Parenthood related to an incomplete abortion. Why he left Planned Parenthood is unknown, but the Boston Globe article published on May 1, 2014, indicates that Hardy’s abhorrent behavior stretched back as far as 20 years, which would include his stint with Planned Parenthood in Massachusetts.

In 2004, a woman filed a complaint with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine alleging that Hardy took advantage of her while she was under anesthesia at a fertility clinic after discovering suspicious physical injuries the following day. The Board sent her complaint to Hardy, who wrote a long letter denying the charges and suggested that the woman’s injuries were self-inflicted. [Read the documents related to this complaint. Warning: sexually graphic content.]

The Board closed the complaint without action. The woman wrote a letter back complaining that the Board was not doing its job, but no further action was taken, until recently.

That 2004 complaint was revisited after 18 witnesses came forward to testify against him about his inappropriate sexual behavior not only with his patients, but also female members of his staff. The Board has since determined that Hardy had indeed sexually abused the women who had come forward in 2004.

In addition to surrendering his Massachusetts medical license, Hardy’s licenses have been suspended in Maine and New Hampshire.

Part two of the Boston Globe’s exposé
on Hardy mentions the “code of silence” that protected him. One employee was upset when she saw Hardy fondling a patient’s breast but was told not to report it if she did not want to be known as a “disgruntled worker.”

“Ironically, the Boston Globe is part of that that ‘code of silence’ because not once in two articles did it warn former patients of Planned Parenthood that there is a possibility that they also may have been victims of Hardy’s perverted practices,” said Newman. “It appears that the paper is shielding Planned Parenthood’s abortion business from scrutiny when women have a right to know the truth.”

Operation Rescue has found that even when clinic workers do have the courage to report such abuses, often the medical boards turn a blind eye or just slap the offender on the wrist and send him back into the exam room, which only ensures that the abuse will continue.

“If the Board had taken the 2004 complaint against this man seriously, perhaps it would have spared countless women from being abused,” said Newman. “We’ve seen this kind of behavior with abortionists more times that we can stomach.”

• Oklahoma Nareshkumar Patel was charged with rape after several women came forward with horrific stories of his appalling sexual conduct with abortion patients and clinic workers. Unfortunately, Patel was inexplicably exonerated despite the overwhelming evidence against him.
• Maryland abortionist Harold O. Alexander was found to have “crossed sexual boundaries” with patients at his abortion business in Forestville. That and a slew of other violations earned him just a three-month suspension in 2012.
• Former Planned Parenthood abortionist Timothy Liveright was accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior with patients at a Delaware Planned Parenthood in 2013. He received only a public reprimand.
• Former California abortionist Laurence Reich was convicted of raping and molesting his female patients in the 1980s. With his license restored in the 1990’s Reich went to work at an abortion clinic where he had unrestricted access to vulnerable women. Once again, he was caught sexually abusing his abortion patients and surrendered his license in 2007, yet when his clinic was raided by police a year later, they found Reich still at work doing abortions.
• Maryland abortionist Mansour G. Panah’s long history of discipline started in 1988 when he was accused of fondling and attempting to kiss his patients on the mouth. He was disciplined once again for unwanted sexual contact with patients in 1995. One woman received as many as three breast examinations in one visit for no medical reason. When asked why the need for repeated examinations, Panah simply expressed admiration for the woman’s breasts. His Maryland medical license remains active.
• Houston abortionist Douglas Karpen was said to have engaged in sexual harassment in accusations made by his former employees. They reported that he would also touch abortion patients he found attractive in inappropriate ways. Their complaints were dismissed by the Texas Board of Medicine.
• In 2012, a filed suit alleging patient molestation and employee sexual harassment at Lovejoy Surgicenter in Portland, Oregon. The surgical nurse accused of the molestations was fired and the clinic continues to operate without further action.
• In one of the few cases where an abortionist was actually prosecuted, Arizona abortionist Brian Finkel was sentenced to 35 years in prison for raping and otherwise sexually abusing over 100 of his abortion patients.

“Our list of abusers could go on and on, but the point is that authorities often look the other way when receiving complaints that women have suffered from sexual abuse and harassment at the hands of abortionists,” said Newman. “Boards should show more respect for the clinic workers and patients who have the courage to come forward, and take their allegations more seriously. That could help prevent dozens, if not hundreds of women from being raped, molested, and otherwise abused.”

Because clinic workers and patients often fear reprisals if they report abusive behavior, Operation Rescue offers the Abortion Whistleblowers Program, which operates in a way similar to Crime Stoppers. Operation Rescue offers a $25,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of abortionists who are breaking the law.

“People like Hardy and his ilk should be criminally prosecuted for their crimes and we hope the authorities in Massachusetts are looking into doing just that. We hope that our reward offer will encourage both clinic workers and patients to come forward and blow the whistle on abortionists’ abusive or otherwise criminal activity,” said Newman. “We are constantly working to get abortionists like Hardy off the street and into jail where they belong so women have fewer predators to fear. Those who do come forward are heroes, in my opinion.”

Woman Who Wanted Abortion to Star on TV Show Rejects Abortion After Feeling Her Baby Kick

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/04/28/woman-who-wanted-abortion-to-star-on-tv-show-rejects-abortion-after-feeling-her-baby-kick/

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 4/28/14 10:11 AM

The aspiring glamor model in England who said she wants to get an abortion so she can star on a reality television program has rejected abortion and decided to keep her baby. Josie Cunningham, 24, is a mother of two but wanted to abort her third baby so she could appear on Big Brother.

josiecunningham5“This time next year I won’t have a baby. I’ll be famous instead,” she said at the time..

Now, after seeing an ultrasound, she has rejected an abortion.

“I felt baby kick and couldn’t go through with it,” she says.

From a report:

But her unborn child had other ideas. Today Josie, 23, reveals how it literally kick-started doubts that she was doing the wrong thing – and made her flee in tears moments before signing in for her abortion at a private clinic.

“I just couldn’t do it,” sobbed young mum Josie. “I really thought I would be able to but I couldn’t. I’d felt the baby kick for the first time 24 hours earlier and I couldn’t get that feeling out of my head.

“I’d forgotten what the feeling was like. It was magical. It was like the baby was telling me not to go through with it.

“I was in the taxi driving to the clinic and felt physically sick. I was shaking. When the driver told me we were a minute away I burst into tears. I wanted to throw myself out of the moving car to get away. I had my hands on my bump and I had the strongest feeling I couldn’t let anyone take my baby away.”

Cunningham also talked about the public scorn and criticism she’s faced over the international story she’s caused and made it appear the stir was a publicity stunt.

“Hundreds of people I’d never met me told me I was a vile, evil human being but I didn’t care. Some said I deserved to be murdered and others threatened to throw acid in my face. Some of the things they were saying were far more sick than my choice to have a termination.”

“But I kept telling myself I must be doing something right because at least everyone knew my name. I had 13,000 Twitter followers overnight – I didn’t care if they hated me. I’ve been hated all my life by bullies at school and then by the public over my boob job. People are going to hate me, so at least I was getting famous in the process.”

But Josie, who now expects to give birth at the beginning of October, forgot all about her dreams of fame the day before she was due to have the abortion. She says: “I was on the way back from the school run with my boys and as I sat in the car I suddenly felt a big kick in my tummy.

“It took me totally by surprise. Before that I had only felt little butterfly-like feelings. This was a real boot. I never imagined how hard it would be to have an abortion after that.

“It’s one thing taking a pill and ending things early on but when you see an elbow or a foot moving across your bump that’s something else. It was more powerful than anything the trolls said to me.”

‘After Birth Abortion’ – Yes, You Read That Right

baby carriage

You know the world is upside down when the phrase “after birth abortion” exists.  Wondering what that means?  It means just what you think.  Killing healthy babies after they are born.

Two years ago, two bioethicists, Alberto Giubilini and Frencesca Minerva wrote a medical ethics paper with this shockingly horrible “after birth abortion” concept.

The original paper states,

“…’after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled…Both a fetus and newborn certainly are human beings and potential persons, but neither is a ‘person’ in the sense of ‘subject of a moral right to life.’  We take ‘person’ to mean an individual who is capable of attributing to her own existence some (at least) basic value such that being deprived of this existence represents a loss to her…[A]ll the individuals who are not in a condition of attributing any value to their own existence are not persons.  Merely being human is not in itself a reason for ascribing someone a right to life…”

People, this is where moral relativism has taken us.  We’ve gone from saying it’s okay to dismember and decapitate a baby, as long as it’s in its mother’s womb to saying that babies born healthy, really, aren’t people.

I have a three year old.  If I were to be home alone with her and faint or something – she’d get by for a few hours, but she can’t reach the food in the pantry.  She doesn’t know how to unlock the front door.  We’re working on 9-1-1, but pretty much, she’d be helpless after a while.  So, where would the guys who wrote this paper draw the line?  You might say, “Oh, surely they wouldn’t support killing a three year old who can at least feed herself and go to the bathroom,” but my question is, with their line of thinking, where do you draw the line?

Regular, run-of-the mill abortions show how sick we are – and what little regard we have for human life – but supporting the idea of killing healthy infants?  I’m speechless.

See – liberals who support moral relativism, who say “Love, peace, love, love, whatever works for you is what is right” think that they are being open-minded and loving, but really, they are advocates for a society void of morals.

A society void of morals becomes so numb to evil and so consumed with self, that they might suggest something unthinkable like, say, killing children.

Conservatives are the antagonists in this country right now – at least, that’s what the President will have you think.  Conservatives are made out to be the ones who are hateful and insensitive – but the people who are proposing concepts like “after birth abortion” are the same ones who are shouting that they are “bleeding hearts.”

Religious and political arguments aside — CNN recently reported on a study done by Yale that proved babies as young as 3 MONTHS OLD entertained with a puppet show featuring a “good” and “bad” character would take a cookie from the good character.  Almost 90% of infants preferred the “good” puppet and even chose to “punish” the bad puppet when they were given the chance – showing that even babies have a sense of JUSTICE.

Can you believe that?

As a Christian, I believe that humans are made in God’s image.  We are born sinners, but also with a natural sense of morality.

America was founded on religious freedom, yes, but also Biblical principles.  Read this article to see just a few quotes from our founding fathers.  They weren’t all Christians, but the majority were – and they all feared God.  They wrote out a plan for a FREE nation – one that didn’t force any religion on anyone, but one that was based on a Christian worldview.

I’m not for a forced-Christian country.  That’s ridiculous.  Politically, I say, the less government the better.  But, no matter where you stand on any issue, and no matter what you believe or who you worship, you can’t argue that Biblical morality produces the healthiest type of culture.

The 10 Commandments (NOT suggestions)

  1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
  2. You shall not make idols.
  3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You shall not murder.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You shall not steal.
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
  10. You shall not covet.

Bottom line, morality is real.  Morality is important.  Morality is not subjective.  As soon as we start thinking of truth and morality as something that is subjective, we see medical ethics papers like this one pop up.

Abortion in utero is just as horrible as killing an infant, but many of us (myself included) become so desensitized to how widely accepted abortion is in our culture, that we are only shocked by a story like this.  There is really no difference between regular abortions and concepts like this.  And we need to keep reminding ourselves of that, lest we forget the REALITY and stop fighting for the unborn and infants alike.

547 Babies Saved From Abortion as 40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign Ends

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/04/14/547-babies-saved-from-abortion-as-40-days-for-life-prayer-campaign-ends/

Another 40 Days for Life campaign is now complete, and we’re still counting the blessings God has provided!

More of our local campaign leaders will be sending in their reports soon … but so far, we are aware of …

547 babies whose lives have been spared from abortion during this campaign!

And as always, those are only the ones we know about. Here are some of those stories.

——————————————————-
EL PASO, TEXAS
——————————————————-

40d17“Exciting news from the sidewalk!” said one of the El Paso volunteers. “A woman rejects abortion! “

When the woman arrived with her sister, there was a group of people praying on the sidewalk. One of the counselors talked to them, and provided information about positive options.

They continued on their way inside the abortion center … but came out soon after. “With a smile on her face,” the volunteer said, “the woman said she had changed her mind.” She was thinking about abortion because she feared her husband’s response to the pregnancy. But after talking with the counselors, she no longer felt afraid.

“We believe the prayers of everyone united helped give this woman the courage she needed to say yes to life,” the El Paso volunteer said. “Praise the Lord!”

——————————————————-
TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA
——————————————————-

A couple parked near the abortion facility in Tuscaloosa – close to the location where 40 Days for Life volunteers were praying. As they walked towards the building, vigil participants offered them information, but they didn’t take it.

They weren’t inside for long before they exited and said they couldn’t go through with the abortion. The woman said she couldn’t do it “because of all the young girls inside.”

The two were visibly shaken by what they had seen inside the abortion center. This time, they took the information the volunteers had offered.

——————————————————-
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA
——————————————————-

The Pensacola team asks for prayers for a woman who was abortion-minded … until the baby’s father convinced her not to go through with it.

The woman is still struggling, however. She has had a number of abortions in the past and feels she is incapable of mothering a child. She does, however, seem open to adoption … and there is a couple that stands ready and willing to adopt the baby.

Like this pro-life news article? Please support LifeNews with a donation during our April fundraising campaign!

“Please pray,” said one of the Pensacola volunteers, “that God will give them all the strength, love, mercy, and healing that they need to proceed with these adoption plans and provide a most beautiful future for this baby.”

——————————————————-
ZAGREB, CROATIA
——————————————————-

Lastly, a few words for this campaign in Croatian: 40 Dana Za Život — 40 Days for Life — and they’re on a billboard above a row of buildings in Zagreb.

“They are an impressive group,” said Robert Colquhoun, our international outreach director, who visited Zagreb recently.

Dan Miller, the local 40 Days for Life director in Milwaukee, Wisconsin saw this photo and said, “this says awesome in any language!”

I think we can say that about all of the 40 Days for Life volunteers. You’re awesome! May God bless you richly!

211 Babies Saved From Abortion So Far During 40 Days for Life Campaign

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/03/24/211-babies-saved-from-abortion-so-far-during-40-days-for-life-campaign/

Here we are at the halfway point of our 40 Days for Life campaign … and God has really been generous with His blessings! So far, there have been 211 babies saved from abortion that we know of. And maybe more!

Here are a couple of stories about the impact of the peaceful, prayerful vigils.

——————————————————-
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
——————————————————-

40d25Deana and other 40 Days for Life participants in Little Rock watched as three couples arrived at the abortion center – and all left without having abortions.

The first couple arrived with a child. “They were told they couldn’t bring the child into the building,” Deana said. After a short time, they exited the side door of the abortion facility and left.

A second couple arrived – and was quickly met by a security guard who said they couldn’t bring the bag they were carrying inside. They left the bag in their car and went in. “Not long afterward, they were seen leaving,” Deana said. The young woman was in tears.

As a third couple then approached the building, volunteers noticed the woman had a bewildered look on her face. They weren’t inside very long. When they came out, the woman had that same wide-eyed look on. They also left the area and did not return.

“We pray that they chose life for these babies and find the support they need,” Deana said.

——————————————————-
TUCSON, ARIZONA
——————————————————-

Kaitlynn said as volunteers were praying outside the abortion center in Tucson, a young woman pulled up and parked – in the wrong lot. These parking spaces are very close to the vigil location, and “for that very reason, women are told not to park there.”

“She got out of the car and looked anxious,” Kaitlynn said. “She was 16 weeks pregnant and her boyfriend told her she had to get an abortion. After we informed her that no one could force her to have an abortion, we gave her information about the local pro-life pregnancy resource centers.”

After gladly reviewing her newfound options, the woman declared she would not follow through with the abortion. “A life was saved,” Kaitlynn said, “all because she chose the wrong parking lot!”

Six States Are Almost Abortion-Free and Have Just One Abortion Business Left

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/03/24/six-states-are-almost-abortion-free-and-have-just-one-abortion-business-left/

by Jill Stanek | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 3/24/14 10:21 AM

Back in January 2010 I reported that the DC Abortion Fund had given the “gorgeous and touching” coat hanger pendant as a holiday fundraising gift. And it’s so très chic, constructed of “handmade sterling silver,” no less.

Two days ago, National Review Online noticed DCAF is again hawking the coat hanger bauble, and this time Drudge picked up the story, drawing the abortion funder lots of scorn.

goodnewsAn editor at U.S. News & World Report called DCAF’s give-away a “misguided parody” that “makes you wonder what goes on in the minds of people who think a trinket like that is a good idea as it lampoons the horrors of back alley abortions and makes light of the imagery the supporters of legal abortion used for decades to get their point across.”

I, on the other hand, want to thank DCAF and the pro-abortion community for their decades long “anti-coathanger abortion” public service announcements. They pretty much ensure no one will be so senseless as to try to kill her baby that way once abortion again becomes illegal, since the psa’s make it clear she might take herself out in the process.

Indeed, I think evidence points to the fact that the coathanger-abortion psa’s are having a positive impact in almost-post-abortion America. If, when abortions become difficult to obtain, we will return to the coathanger-abortion days, as abortion proponents threaten, you’d think we’d already be seeing them in any of the six states – Arkansas,  Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming – that are now down to one abortion provider. But no.

Or how about in Texas, where a “400-mile stretch between Houston and the Louisiana border,” in the “vast, impoverished Rio Grande Valley,” quoting CBS News, is now without an abortion clinic?

Indeed, if abortion access is indeed now “in a full-blown crisis,” as claimed at Salon the other day, shouldn’t we be seeing that crisis played out in coathanger abortions?

But we have abortion advocates constantly warning against them, from old

All their other arguments are failing.

LifeNews.com Note: Jill Stanek fought to stop “live birth abortions” after witnessing one as an RN at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. That led to the Born Alive Infants Protection Act legislation, signed by President Bush, that would ensure that proper medical care be given to unborn children who survive botched abortion attempts.

142 Babies Saved From Abortion So Far During 40 Days for Life Campaign

St. Patrick’s Day should start with good news – and today we have plenty! So far during this campaign, we are aware of …… 142 babies who, through your prayers and the Lord’s mercy, have been saved from abortion.

40d21Praise God!

Here are more stories of lives permanently changed on the sidewalks outside the abortion centers.

——————————————————-
TEMPE, ARIZONA
——————————————————-

We’ve heard much good news from Tempe.

When prayer volunteers asked two young women if they wanted to talk, their answer was, “Yes. We heard you say you offer free ultrasounds.” Lisa in Tempe said the girls had become frustrated, as Planned Parenthood was running three hours behind schedule.

After the one who was considering abortion received information and a gift bag, she told Lisa she was going to keep her baby, “and went to one of our local pregnancy centers for genuine help.”

A mother and daughter pulled up to a volunteer holding a sign that said, “Pregnant? We can help.” As the mother got out of the car, the volunteer offered pro-life resources. She held out her hand, took the information without a word, got back in the car and drove away.

Two groups of women who were both there with friends scheduled for abortions came over and talked about options for their friends. They received literature and called their friends inside to talk to them. Both women left without having an abortion.

Lisa said, “Your continued prayers and witness will bring Christ to those who have become lost because of ‘choice.’”

——————————————————-
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA
——————————————————-

In Cedar Rapids, a woman showed up early for her appointment at Planned Parenthood. “She was not pregnant,” Jim said, “and was going there for some other type of appointment.”

She told volunteers that she had come about a year ago, planning to have an abortion. But the sight of the people praying made her decide against it. She now has a 4-month-old daughter and is very happy.

“Although we suspect there were many other saves in the past,” Jim said, “this was the first confirmed one in Cedar Rapids. It makes us feel like the cold weather we had last spring was well worth it!”

——————————————————-
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
——————————————————-

Rita tells us there were two babies saved in Boston on one day. “Sidewalk counsellors were joined by a large group of people praying and singing hymns,” she said, “and many were holding 40 Days for Life signs.”

Volunteers rejoiced when a woman came out of Planned Parenthood and said, “Your prayers have been answered. I’m not going to do it.” And then it happened again!

44 Babies Saved From Abortion So Far During 40 Days for Life Campaign

It wasn’t long into this campaign before we got word of the first turnaround outside an abortion center. And so far, we have reports of 44 babies saved from abortion – that we know of!

It takes faith and courage to pray and stand witness in front of an abortion facility. Some say it is a waste of time – but I beg to differ … and so do the moms who turn around at the last moment. God has not forgotten them … and neither should we.

Here’s what I mean.

——————————————————-
NORRISTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA
——————————————————-

David Bereit, 40 Days for Life’s national director, fired up the crowd of more than 150 people at the kickoff of the Norristown campaign, just outside of Philadelphia.

In addition to launching the inaugural campaign in Norristown, many people came from nearby Collegeville to celebrate the closure of the local Planned Parenthood abortion center in their community following twelve 40 Days for Life campaigns outside its doors.

postabortion4Little did the participants know they’d be celebrating again just days later.

“Praise God!” began the excited note from Victoria in Norristown. “Our first day – of the first-ever 40 Days for Life in Norristown – and our first baby saved!”

A couple of hours later, she let us know about even more blessings – two more babies had been spared from abortion. Victoria’s reaction? “I’m so excited!”

——————————————————-
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
——————————————————-

The 40 Days for Life team saw miracles unfold on Day 1 in Charlotte. “We had four saves today!” said John, the local coordinator. “We now have an ultrasound van with a registered nurse every day. Praise God!”

John said the peaceful vigil outside the abortion facility has had a great turnout so far, “including pastoral staff from Stonebridge PCA Church, who have begun a pro-life awareness program.”

——————————————————-
LANSING, MICHIGAN
——————————————————-

There was more good news from Lansing – no abortions! The facility was unexpectedly closed.

Cecilia, the 40 Days for Life coordinator in Lansing, had an opportunity to talk to a woman outside who said she wanted an abortion. “She allowed me to sit in her car and pray with her. It’s cold here!”

Cecilia prayed with her while the young woman cried softly. “She is a student and works part time — and is overwhelmed. ‘It’s going to be okay,’ I told her.” She shared pregnancy resource information with the student and encouraged her to schedule an ultrasound. “And she did!”

Please join the Lansing team in praying for this young woman – and her baby.

I Am Afraid of This Indisputable Pro-Abortion Argument

Life News Banner

by Matt Walsh | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 3/7/14 4:19 PM

I took the bait. I couldn’t help but open an email with the subject line: “You’re afraid of this pro-choice argument”

Afraid? I’m afraid of a lot of things. Actually, five things: spiders, asteroids, ghosts, head lice, and malaria. But arguments? Especially pro-abortion arguments? Definitely not on the list.

I might be frustrated by them; annoyed, angered, even disturbed, but afraid? I don’t think so.

Here’s Rachel, trying to strike fear into my heart:

Dear Matt, ever since I first read your blog I knew you were a cowardly fake. It wasn’t until I started reading some of your anti-choice articles that my suspicions were truly confirmed. You spend a lot of time picking the low hanging fruit. You attack the weakest abortion rights arguments while ignoring the glaring weaknesses in your own position.

If you had the guts or the brains you’d try to respond to the most important abortion rights argument… bodily autonomy or bodily integrity. This means that we have the final jurisdiction over our own bodies. Nobody can claim a right to our body that goes above our own right. Nobody can use our bodies without consent. We cannot be forced to donate organs or blood to someone else. A fetus must survive on a woman’s body so the woman has a right to withdrawal her consent and her body at any time.

prolifeimage46This is the pro-choice argument that no anti-choice fanatic… especially one as stubborn and simpleminded as you… could ever possibly dispute. If you still don’t understand, try to imagine this hypothetical…

Imagine that you wake up one morning in a hospital bed. In the bed next to you is a famous singer. He is unconscious and all of these tubes are connected from him to you. A doctor comes in and explains that the singer became sick and you are the only person with the right blood type to match his. They need you to remain hooked up to him until he recovers… they tell you it should only take nine months. Until then, he needs to use all of your organs… your kidneys, liver, lungs, everything… just to survive. If you unplug yourself, he will die. So do you think you are obligated to stay plugged in? Does he have a right to live off of you like this? Should you be FORCED to stay connected to him?

That’s what situation the pregnant woman is in. Instead of harping on all of these irrelevant issues, I wish you’d be brave enough to address it from this angle. It is immoral to require a woman to sustain a fetus and it is moral for a woman to make a decision with her body based on what is right for her. How can you argue against this?

But I guess your blog is more about preaching to the choir than actually being intelligent and bold in your writing. What a shame.

-Rachel

Here’s my answer:

Dear Rachel,

You’re right. You win. I have no response. I can’t think of any reason why you’re wrong about any of the points you raised.

Well, I can’t think of any reason — except for, like, ten reasons. So I’ll start with five reasons why that hypothetical is flawed, and move on to five additional reasons why your overall argument is flawed.

Here we go:

baby, womb, pregnant, woman1. Your analogy is flawed because it presupposes that the relationship between mother and child is no more significant, and carries with it no more responsibility, than the relationship between a person and some random stranger in a hospital bed.

This is absurd. If we’re trying to make this hypothetical as close to pregnancy as possible, shouldn’t the sick singer (or violinist, according to the original iteration of this hypothetical) at least be your child? Your argument doesn’t work because the fact that your child is your child, and not some strange adult from across town, is precisely the point. Hidden cleverly in this hypothetical is the insinuation that one cannot agree that an unborn child has a right to his mother’s body, without agreeing that anyone in the entire world, in any context, for any reason, at any point, for any period of time, has a right to a woman’s body.

Nice try, Rachel.

Just because a mother is expected to be a mother doesn’t mean she’s also expected to be a slave, a prostitute, and a forced organ donor to talented musical artists. Indeed, the extent of our responsibility to a person hinges in many ways on our relationship to them. You would, I assume, agree that you have a responsibility to your born children, wouldn’t you? And your responsibility to them extends far beyond your responsibility to your neighbor, or your plumber, or your trash collector, doesn’t it? The relationship matters. Your hypothetical fails because it pretends that relationships are irrelevant.

2. Your analogy is flawed because it leaves out an important detail: how did the singer become ill in the first place?

Aside from cases of rape, a child is only conceived because two people intentionally committed a particular act which has, literally billions of times, resulted in the conception of a human life.

This singer came down with a terrible sickness. You might feel pity for him, but you didn’t cause him to be sick. You didn’t put him in this state. You had absolutely nothing to do with it. The same cannot be said when a child is conceived.

3. Your analogy is flawed because, when framed properly, it doesn’t strengthen your moral position — it defeats it.

The hypothetical should be this: your own child becomes very sick because of something you did. He needs a blood transfusion and you are the only match. Would you refuse to give him your blood because it infringes on your bodily autonomy? Could this be morally justified? You put your kid in the hospital and now you will choose to watch him die because he ‘doesn’t have a right to your blood.’ THIS scenario would be the closest to abortion. And, if you are consistent in your affinity for ‘bodily autonomy,’ you could not criticize parents who’d rather let their child die than be inconvenienced by a blood transfusion.

4. But, no matter how you frame the hypothetical, it is still flawed because it ignores one crucial thing: natural order.

An unborn child is exactly where he is supposed to be. He couldn’t possibly be anywhere else. This is the fundamental difference between two people hooked up to machines on a hospital bed, and a ‘fetus’ connected to his mother insider her womb. The former represents unnatural and extraordinary measures, while the latter represents something natural and ordinary. The unborn child is where Nature (or God, as I call Him) intends it to be.

The unborn child is not, in any scientific or medical sense, an intruder or a parasite. These words have meanings, and unborn babies do not fit the bill. They are where they are supposed to be. They are where they belong. A fish belongs in water, just as an unborn child belongs in his mother’s womb.

5. Beyond all of these points, the analogy is flawed because abortion is not the same as ‘unplugging’ a person from medical equipment.

It might be quite sanitary and pleasant to refer to abortion as a woman ‘withdrawing support’ from her child, but the procedure goes beyond this. During a ‘termination,’ the baby is actively killed. It is crushed, dismembered, poisoned, or torn apart. It is killed. It is actively, actually, purposefully, intentionally killed.

In fact, even in the original hypothetical — where you’re hooked up to a singer in a hospital bed — while it would be acceptable to unplug yourself, it would NOT be morally or legally permissible to shoot the poor guy in the head. A person’s physical reliance on you does not give you the moral (or legal, usually) right to murder them. ‘Withdrawing support’ is precisely what an abortion isn’t. If it was, then the baby would be delivered and left to die in the corner of the room. Of course, this is how some abortionists conduct business, but it’s illegal. If they’re caught, they go to jail.

6. But the bodily autonomy argument is flawed in ways that go beyond that utterly fallacious and misleading hypothetical. It’s flawed because nobody is crazy enough to consistently apply it to pregnant women.

According to bodily autonomy, a mother could not be judged harshly for smoking, drinking, doing coke, and going skydiving (hopefully not all in the same day) while 6 months pregnant. If you really believe that a woman’s body is autonomous — that she has absolute jurisdiction over it — then you must defend a mother who does things that could seriously harm her unborn child, even if she hasn’t chosen to abort it. This is not a slippery slope argument; this is a reasonable and inevitable application of your principle.

20 week old unborn child - when many states still allow abortion

20 week old unborn child – when many states still allow abortion

7. The bodily autonomy argument is flawed because it requires you to support abortion at every stage of development.

I’m throwing this in here because most pro-aborts will not (vocally) defend abortion at 8 or 9 months. But — if bodily autonomy is your claim — you must. Is a woman’s body less autonomous when she’s been pregnant for 35 weeks? There is no way around it: bodily autonomy means that it is moral to kill a fully formed baby, at seven months, or eight months, or nine months.

8. The bodily autonomy argument is flawed because you can’t limit it to pregnant women.

You say that our bodies cannot be ‘used’ without our ‘consent.’ Why should this apply only to pregnancy and organ donations? Children, at any age, create profound demands on their parents’ bodies. Whether it’s waking up in the middle of the night for the crying baby, working long hours to pay for their food and clothing, carrying them around when they cannot walk, staying home when you’d like to go out, going out (to bring them to the doctor, or school, or soccer practice) when you’d like to stay in, etc, etc, etc, and so forth. An argument for absolute bodily autonomy means that it can’t be illegal, or considered immoral, for a parent to decline to do any of these things, so long as their decision was made in the name of bodily autonomy.

9. The bodily autonomy argument is flawed because it necessarily justifies things like public masturbation.

If I can ‘do what I want with my body,’ then it becomes very difficult to launch a salient moral or legal attack against a man who chooses to sit in a playground in front of children and pleasure his own body.

10. Finally, the bodily autonomy argument is flawed because our bodies are not autonomous.

I’m often accused of oversimplifying, but I’ve never oversimplified to the extent of you bodily autonomy proponents. Once we’ve considered every complexity and nuance, we can rightly say that our bodies are autonomous in some ways, and in some circumstances, but not in others. We cannot say that they are absolutely autonomous, and I find it hard to believe that anyone truly thinks that.

Any claim or responsibility placed on me, automatically includes a claim and responsibility on my body. Everything I do involves my body. I am my body. CS Lewis would say that I am my soul and I have a body. I agree with him, but for our purposes in this discussion, leaving souls and spirits aside, we are our bodies. Whether we are expected to pay taxes or drive the speed limit or provide a safe and sanitary home for our children, we are using our bodies to meet these expectations. We experience and participate in life with our bodies. Absolute bodily autonomy is inexorably linked with personal autonomy. If my body is autonomous, my person must be autonomous, and if my person is autonomous, then my very existence is autonomous, and if my very existence is autonomous, then it is simply unacceptable and (by your logic) immoral for anyone to expect me to do anything for anyone at any point for any reason.

If you concede that we ought to be expected or even required to do certain things, then you are placing limits on our bodily autonomy. If you place limits on our bodily autonomy, then you are admitting that limits can be placed on our bodily autonomy. If you are admitting that limits can be placed on our bodily autonomy, then you must consider whether abortion falls within or outside of those limits. And here’s the rub: if you contend that abortion falls within the limits on bodily autonomy, you must justify that belief beyond simply reasserting our right to bodily autonomy.

Personally, I think that abortion goes well beyond the limits on bodily autonomy, for all of the reasons I’ve previously stipulated.

There’s your answer, Rachel.

But, except for the ten reasons why you’re wrong, you’re right on the money.

And, except for the ten answers I’ve provided, I have no answers for you.

I guess you win.

Thanks for writing.

The Girl Scouts Are Caught Between Abortionists and People Of Virtue

Girl Scouts Threaten Pro-life Groups

The Girl Scouts are getting vindictive.

Angered over the conservative backlash to the Girl Scouts partnerships with Planned Parenthood and other abortion service groups, the Girl Scouts have begun threatening pro-life groups.

When conservatives first began learning of the Girl Scouts connections with Planned Parenthood it caused quite a controversy – as thousands of pro-life families recreate with the Girl Scouts. When the Girl Scouts made it clear that they would not only continue their partnership with abortionists but also celebrate them, it became clear that pro-life families would have to part ways with the organization.

Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation, who recently gave the keynote address at the March for Life Rose Dinner in Washington, D.C., is a champion for adoption over abortion.

“The Girl Scouts still proclaim to be honest and courageous, while denying their continual collaboration with the nation’s largest and undeniably dishonest abortion chain,” Bomberger told Breitbart News. “Abortion doesn’t make the world a better place, unless you agree with the deeply racist and elitist pseudoscience of eugenics – the foundation of Planned Parenthood.”

Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League commented to Breitbart News, “As the father of six girls, I’m extremely disappointed by the Girl Scouts’ increasing collaboration with Planned Parenthood, an organization that aborts over 150,000 unborn baby girls every year.”

Similarly, Jim Sedlak of the American Life League told Breitbart News, “Through their continued support of the Culture of Death, the Girl Scouts have betrayed their heritage and their future. There is nobody who should purchase Girl Scout cookies to fund this group.”

girlscoutsThis collective boycott and the damage it’s done to the Girl Scouts’ bottom line has led the Girl Scouts to move against conservative groups supporting the boycott.

LifeNews editor Steve Ertelt announced Monday that he had received a letter threatening legal action. In it, Girl Scout executive Brian Crawford complained about “articles that outline alleged ties to Planned Parenthood” and that “GSUSA has an obligation to protect the Girl Scout name.” Crawford insisted, “Girl Scouts of the USA does not have a partnership or any relationship with Planned Parenthood and does not intend to initiate one.” He demanded that LifeNews cease using the Girl Scout logo.

 Steve Ertelt told Breitbart News:

The Girl Scouts are clearly threatened by LifeNews’ reporting on their multiple links to Planned Parenthood, their hiring of abortion activists to key positions, and their promotion of abortion advocates like Wendy Davis. Their letter is a not-so-veiled intimidation tactic designed to get LifeNews to stop our reporting and to get pro-life groups to stop boycotting them.

It’s time for us to take a stand against the Girl Scouts, Planned Parenthood, and their attempt to intimidate pro-life organizations.

This viral video of a living baby still in the amniotic sac is stunning…and utterly heartbreaking

http://www.lifesitenews.com/blog/this-viral-video-of-a-living-baby-still-in-the-amniotic-sac-is-stunningand

by John Jalsevac

Tue Feb 11, 2014 12:16 EST

It’s been shared nearly 200,000 times on Facebook in the past few weeks.

But though I’ve seen the video posted on numerous friends pages, I never clicked on it until today.

I thought it was a graphic video of a late-term abortion. I’ve seen those before, and the images are seared in my brain. I don’t need to see them again.

But this is something much more incredible…but just as heartbreaking.

Watch it here:

Baby

If you know the source of the video, leave a comment letting me know. While some people have suggested that the baby was the victim of a late-term abortion, others have said that it was the result of a miscarriage, while there is even a rumor posted on Youtube that he was removed from his mother after she died in a car accident. Either way, there is a story behind this video that should be told.

Sadly, judging by the video, the baby is almost certainly too young to survive, meaning that what we see is likely most of the duration of his short life outside of his mother’s womb.

But his life was not in vain. The video of his short life is spreading like wildfire, provoking countless people to question the lie that the unborn child is not fully human. If that baby is not a human being, who is?

That anybody still believes the “blob of tissue” lie in this day and age is incredible. That they do is only made possible thanks to the deliberate and careful deceptions spread by the abortion lobby.

The man who posted the video, Jim Anderson, sums it up when he writes simply, “Still support abortion anyone?”

Obama Calls on Nation to Recommit to Abortion

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/sarahjeanseman/2014/01/23/obama-on-roe-v-wade-anniversary-we-recommit-ourselves-to-the-decision-n1783506

Sarah Jean Seman   Sarah Jean Seman | Jan 23, 2014

President Obama reflected on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade by encouraging Americans to recommit to the “guiding principles” of the 1973 Supreme Court decision.

           According to Obama:

Every woman should be able to make her own choices about her body and her health.  We reaffirm our steadfast commitment to protecting a woman’s access to safe, affordable health care and her constitutional right to privacy, including the right to reproductive freedom.  And we resolve to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies, support maternal and child health, and continue to build safe and healthy communities for all our children.  Because this is a country where everyone deserves the same freedom and opportunities to fulfill their dreams.

Pro-life support has actually increased over the last several years, according to Gallup:

While Obama touts abortion as a way to protect women’s freedoms, not all women appreciate trivializing the life they harbor inside of them. Nicole Peck stated at the March for Life rally that her abortion stripped her of not only her money and her baby, but also her self-respect.

With the Obamacare abortion pill mandate still sparking lawsuits and religious freedom controversies, the administration will undoubtedly persist in their attempt to sell abortion as a basic right

I Am Overwhelmed by 55 Million Babies Killed Since Roe v. Wade

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/01/22/i-am-overwhelmed-by-55-million-babies-killed-since-roe-v-wade/

by Kristan Hawkins | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/22/13 11:40 AM

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about today?

Yesterday evening, I was sitting in my living room working while watching my sons play. I began to think about what my life would have been without them. How different I would be. How their lives have already made this world a different place since they were born. How much I would hurt if I had chosen abortion.

Then, I thought of the more than 55,000,000 lives that have been taken in the U.S. since 1973, and I became overwhelmed at the tragedy. Tragedy for the babies, their mothers, their fathers, families, and us.

Who is our nation missing? What price is our society paying for the ultimate deceit of abortion?

40 years ago today, seven men on the Supreme Court decided in favor of a case presented to them from a 27 year-old, unknown, post-abortive lawyer, Sarah Weddington. That case was Roe v. Wade and, along with its companion Doe v. Bolton, it legalized abortion in all 9 months of pregnancy, for any reason, in the United States.

Today, this 27 year-old is writing to you as a survivor of that decision. The undeniable fact is that nearly a third of my generation is missing. We are missing brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, husbands and wives.

You see, Miss Weddington’s generation got it wrong. In attempting to correct gender inequality in the workplace and in our society, they set into motion the ultimate act of discrimination – abortion. Instead of glorifying motherhood, they pitted the mother against her child, creating an endless cycle of selfishness, pain, and deceit.

But this generation is determined to set it right. We’ve seen the ultrasounds of our siblings, googled “abortion” and seen the bloody images, and sat with a friend as she cried about her abortion. This youth generation is the most pro-life generation of young people since 1973; we’re even more pro-life than even our parents’ generation. And this week our presence will be known as this generation will be the predominant participants in Wednesday’s March for Life in Washington, D.C. and pro-life rallies across the nation.

This week, we will be proudly carrying our “I am the Pro-Life Generation” signs, and Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry will watch their target audience slip away.

In fact, we already have. When Nancy Keenan, the former president of NARAL/Pro-Choice America, announced her resignation last year, she cited the lack of young pro-abortion leaders as the reason she wanted to step down. This month’s Time magazine headline story dealt with the same problem, claiming that the pro-abortion movement has been losing since 1973.

And last week’s new Planned Parenthood video and talking points on abortion confirm this fact. They don’t want to use the term “pro-choice” anymore because it’s too negatively associated with abortion. You see, they know when abortion is mentioned, their favorability falls. Their goal? Never bring it up.

So, what should be our goal? To bring up abortion in every conversation we can – in church, the grocery store, at school, and at the neighborhood party. To never forget about abortion, no matter how busy our lives may get or how sad or immobilized we become by this immense, overwhelming tragedy.

Friend, it’s time to rise up. Rise up off of your couch, out of your dorm room, or pew. Rise up and dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself.

It is the time for us to tell our stories to our friends and family about how abortion has hurt us. It’s time to paint the vision by telling people what our nation will look like without abortion and how it’s possible. It’s time to seek real justice with those young women and men facing unplanned, crisis pregnancies. It’s time to shine the light of truth, to expose Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry for what they really are.

It’s the time to stand courageously for Life.

Friends, I believe this generation of survivors will see abortion abolished in our lifetime. But it won’t be easy.

“Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” – Harriet Beecher Stowe

I hope today, on this day of overwhelming sorrow, you will join us. There’s so much you can do.

If a Man Doesn’t Want to be a Father, He’s a Deadbeat; A Woman is Just Pro-Choice

http://www.lifenews.com/2014/01/20/if-a-man-doesnt-want-to-be-a-father-hes-a-deadbeat-a-woman-is-just-pro-choice/

by Secular Pro-Life | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 1/20/14 1:09 PM

When arguing about abortion, I’ve seen a lot of people claim “sex isn’t a contract.” Other variations of this idea include:

  • Consent to A doesn’t mean consent to B (that is, consent to sex doesn’t mean consent to reproduction).
  • You clearly don’t consent to reproduce if you use birth control.
  • Sex is not a crime and shouldn’t be punished / Rights cannot be restricted unless there is a crime.
The problem is, when it comes to reproduction, these arguments only apply to women.
If a man gets a woman pregnant–be it his wife, girlfriend, affair, or one night stand–he is legally bound to provide support for that child. In other words, because the man participated in the child’s conception (because the man had sex), his rights are altered. It doesn’t matter if the man was only consenting to sex, and not to reproduction. It doesn’t matter if he used birth control. It doesn’t matter that sex isn’t a crime. He fathered the kid, so the law considers him responsible for the kid.
secularprolife2And the law takes a pretty hard line on the subject. Courts can require a father to pay child support based not just on what he earns, but on what courts believe he has the ability to earn. Child support obligations remain even if a father goes to prison, or declares bankruptcy. Even if he wants to terminate his parental rights (and therefore his parental responsibilities), the courts usually won’t allow it unless there is another adult prepared to adopt the child and take over that responsibility. And there are many methods for enforcing child support. A man’s tax refunds can be intercepted, his property seized, business or occupational license suspended, and in some states his driver’s license can be revoked. If he still fails to make payment, he can be held in contempt and given jail time.
In short, if a man has sex he runs the risk of being (rather tightly) legally bound to any new life he creates. In the essay “Abortion and Fathers’ Rights“, author Stephen D. Hales summarizes the situation:
“…the father, having participated in conception, cannot escape the future duties he will have toward the child. The father can decide that he cannot afford another child, that he is not psychologically prepared to be a parent, that a child would hinder the lifestyle he wishes to pursue, and so on, to no avail.”
Sound sad? If a man is forced to pay child support, that could mean serious emotional, psychological, financial, and social repercussions for him. So why do we have child support laws? Is it because we hate sex, and want to punish people for having sex?
No, of course not. And interestingly, you rarely see anyone even suggest as much. No, it’s clear to most people that we have child support laws in order to, you know, support children. Child support laws aren’t enforced to punish men for having sex—they’re enforced because it’s best for the child. In the same way, abortion shouldn’t be outlawed to punish women for having sex—it should be outlawed to protect fetal life. In both cases, it’s not about punishment, it’s about protection.
And that’s as it should be.
I’d love to live in a world in which there are no unplanned pregnancies and no unintentional parents. I think people should have control over whether they become parents, in the sense that people should have control over whether they get pregnant or get someone pregnant. That’s why I support comprehensive sex education: I want people to understand their own fertility and, if they do choose to have sex, I want them to understand how they can best prevent pregnancy while being sexually active.
However, once pregnancy has happened, once there’s already a new human organism in the picture, it changes everything. I think the people whose actions created that new life should be responsible for its protection.
Of course, many people disagree. Abortion rights advocates place reproductive freedom over protecting the lives we create, at least when it comes to women and pregnancy. How would this mentality look if they also applied it to men and child support? Hales has an idea:
“A man has the moral right to decide not to become a father (in the social, nonbiological sense) during the time that the woman he has impregnated may permissibly abort. He can make a unilateral decision whether to refuse fatherhood, and is not morally obliged to consult with the mother or any other person before reaching a decision. Moreover, neither the mother nor any other person can veto or override a man’s decision about becoming a father. He has first and last say about what he does with his life in this regard.”

(And if we’re being really consistent, he doesn’t have to inform the woman he impregnated, or anyone else, about his decision to refuse fatherhood.)

It seems to me that consistency requires abortion rights advocates to argue for the man’s right to choose as well as the woman’s: the pro-choice mentality means that, as women can “walk away” from their pregnancies, men should be able to walk away from the women they have impregnated.

Not very uplifting, is it?

Or we could strive for a different kind of consistency–the kind that holds both men and women to a higher standard. This is why I’m for child support laws, and this is why I’m against abortion.

Woman Has Abortion Because She Couldn’t Fit Into Her Wedding Dress

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/12/26/woman-has-abortion-because-she-couldnt-fit-into-her-wedding-dress/

by Sarah Terzo | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com

In 2005, the Los Angeles Times ran a story by Stephanie Simon entitled “Offering Abortion, Rebirth.”

Simon interviewed an abortion provider named Dr. William F. Harrison and observed abortions at his clinic. Harrison died in 2010, after closing down his clinic because of health reasons.

The article quotes Harrison saying, “I am destroying life.”

Simon described witnessing an abortion on an 18-year-old girl. The author says the girl had not told her parents about her pregnancy. The unborn baby was 13 weeks along. At 13 weeks, the child has fingers, complete with fingernails. If female, the child has a uterus of her own. He or she can respond to touch and has both a heartbeat and brain waves. He can also suck his thumb. (See ultrasound pictures of 13-week-old babies here.)

According to the author:

Harrison glances at an ultrasound screen frozen with an image of the fetus taken moments before. Against the fuzzy black-and-white screen, he sees the curve of a head, the bend of an elbow, the ball of a fist.

“You may feel some cramping while we suction everything out,” Harrison tells the patient.

A moment later, he says: “You’re going to hear a sucking sound.”

The abortion takes two minutes. The patient lies still and quiet, her eyes closed, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. The friend who has accompanied her stands at her side, mutely stroking her arm.

When he’s done, Harrison performs another ultrasound. The screen this time is blank but for the contours of the uterus. “We’ve gotten everything out of there,” he says.

Right after her abortion, the teenager said:

“There’s things wrong with abortion,” she says. “But I want to have a good life. And provide a good life for my child.” To keep this baby now, she says, when she’s single, broke and about to start college, “would be unfair.”

The article also profiled several other women coming in for abortions.

A high school volleyball player says she doesn’t want to give up her body for nine months. “I realize just from the first three months how it changes everything,” she says.

Kim, a single mother of three, says she couldn’t bear to give away a child and have to wonder every day if he were loved. Ending the pregnancy seemed easier, she says – as long as she doesn’t let herself think about “what could have been.”

Many pro-lifers find it hard to understand why some women would rather abort than put the baby up for adoption – pro-lifers tend to think it would be better to adopt out a child than to kill that child. But often the thought of giving up a baby is painful for women, and many women have heard the message over and over again that abortion is not killing.

The article also describes:

Amanda, a 20-year-old administrative assistant, says it’s not the obstacles that surprise her – it’s how normal and unashamed she feels as she prepares to end her first pregnancy.

“It’s an everyday occurrence,” she says as she waits for her 2:30 p.m. abortion. “It’s not like this is a rare thing.”

Amanda was 15 weeks pregnant and has not told her boyfriend about his child. Amanda also says:

I’ve been praying a lot and that’s been a real source of strength for me. I really believe God has a plan for us all. I have a choice, and that’s part of my plan.

As much as pro-lifers don’t like to admit it, many religious people get abortions. There are some churches that support abortion. In a recent Facebook post, Abby Johnson mentioned that a member of her Episcopalian church told her to leave after she became involved in the “antichoice” movement. One study says that many women who have abortions claim to be Christian and that one out of five women coming in is a self-identified born-again or evangelical Christian (1).

Later in the article, two other women give their reasons for having abortions.

His first patient of the day, Sarah, 23, says it never occurred to her to use birth control, though she has been sexually active for six years. When she became pregnant this fall, Sarah, who works in real estate, was in the midst of planning her wedding. “I don’t think my dress would have fit with a baby in there,” she says.

The last patient of the day, a 32-year-old college student named Stephanie, has had four abortions in the last 12 years. She keeps forgetting to take her birth control pills. Abortion “is a bummer,” she says, “but no big stress.”

People on both sides of the abortion debate often say that abortion is an agonizing decision for women. They say that women do not take abortion lightly. Many pro-lifers view women as the second victims of abortion. Although this is often true, it is the sad case that some women do use abortion as birth control.

The clinic that Dr. Harrison works at makes an effort to shield women from guilt. In the abortionists’ own words, “we try to make sure she doesn’t ever feel guilty … for what she feels she has to do.”

The article goes on to say:

For the few women who arrive ambivalent or beset by guilt, Harrison’s nurse has posted statistics on the exam-room mirror: One out of every four pregnant women in the US chooses abortion. A third of all women in this country will have at least one abortion by the time they’re 45.

“You think there’s room in hell for all those women?” the nurse will ask.

If the woman remains troubled, the nurse tells her to go home and think it over.

“If they truly feel they’re killing a baby, we’re not going to do an abortion for them,” says the nurse, who asked not to be identified for fear protesters would target her.

This sounds all well and good, but right after this statement, the article goes on to quote this very same nurse saying to a teenager who is 5 weeks pregnant:

“It’s completely formed about nine weeks,” the nurse tells her. “Yours is more like a chicken yolk.”

According to The Biology of Prenatal Development:

Between 4 and 5 weeks, the brain continues its rapid growth and divides into 5 distinct sections.

The cerebral hemispheres appear, gradually becoming the largest parts of the brain.

Functions eventually controlled by the cerebral hemispheres include thought, learning, memory, speech, vision, hearing, voluntary movement, and problem-solving.

You can watch the heart of a 4-week-old unborn baby beating at this link. The baby, even at 5 weeks, is hardly an egg yolk.

Although Dr. Harrison admits that what he’s doing is killing, he contradicts himself later by saying, “It’s not a baby to me until the mother tells me it’s a baby.”

As of 2005, Dr. Harrison had performed over 20,000 abortions. He left practice in 2010 and died shortly afterward. When Harrison left practice, his abortion clinic closed its doors. He was unable to find another doctor willing to perform abortions at his clinic.

Congresswoman’s Miracle Baby Home for Christmas After Doctors Said She’d Die

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/12/11/congresswomans-miracle-baby-home-for-christmas-after-doctors-said-shed-die/

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com

When she was pregnant with her daughter Abigail Rose Beutler, doctors told Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, a pro-life Republican from Washington state, that her baby had a potentially fatal diagnosis that would claim her life shortly after birth.

Beutler posted a message on Facebook in June saying her unborn child had been diagnosed with Potter’s Syndrome, a condition which prevents the child’s kidneys from developing properly and is typically fatal for the baby.

In Potter’s syndrome, the unborn baby has an atypical physical appearance as the result of oligohydramnios, a decrease in amniotic fluid volume that causes developmental problems and babies with Potter’s Syndrome typically die within a couple days of being born.

Then, in July, Beutler said Abigail was doing well two weeks following her birth and she continued to progress in September.

Now, little Abby is heading home for Christmas!

After spending months under the supervision of doctors in California, U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s infant daughter got to come home to Camas this week.

Herrera Beutler shared the good news in an statement Wednesday. She also announced she would travel to Washington, D.C., this week to vote on a federal budget deal.

“We are so grateful to the medical team at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in California for their care of Abigail during her first months of life,” Herrera Beutler said. She also asked for “continued patience and prayers in the coming weeks as our family adjusts to life back home.”

Surprising the medical field, Abigail was born prematurely in July with fully developed lungs. Her kidneys weren’t functioning, though, and she was whisked off to the California hospital for dialysis treatments. She will eventually need a kidney transplant.

The Republican congresswoman has been on leave since her daughter’s birth. She has traveled to Washington, D.C., to take a few crucial votes, including one in October to end the partial government shutdown. She also relies more heavily on her staff to communicate with 3rd District constituents.

“My staff and I will continue serving the residents of Southwest Washington just as we have throughout this challenging time,” Herrera Beutler said. “Like the millions of working mothers in this country, I will balance the responsibilities of my job with the needs of my family.”

Student Escapes Abortion to Become University Homecoming Queen

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/12/11/student-escapes-abortion-to-become-university-homecoming-queen/

by John Stonestreet | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com

An unborn girl escapes abortion, is adopted, and becomes a homecoming queen? This is not a fairytale.

True stories are always full of both ugliness and beauty, and this one is no different. A married woman is sexually assaulted in California and becomes pregnant. Compounding her pain, her husband gives her an ultimatum: Abort this baby, or I’ll divorce you. That’s the ugly part. The woman, however, courageously decides that the child growing inside her is not the ugly part of her story, and gives birth. That and what follows is beautiful!

She moves to Alabama, is put in touch with a Christian adoption agency called Lifeline Children’s Services. Peggy Dutton and her husband are on the board of Lifeline. They get to know this courageous woman and agree to give her child a loving home. Two days after Molly’s birth, they adopt her.

Molly grows up and lives a gloriously average suburban life and now attends Auburn University as a horticulture student.

Almost no one there knew her story—until friends urged her to run for homecoming queen. For her platform issue, Molly chose alternatives for women facing crisis pregnancies. She told her story which spread like wildfire. Soon, Molly was all over TV and the Web winsomely sharing her positive message about life.

“It’s already been a huge response,” she said. “It shows how much the public wants to receive life. It has been viral.” And not only that—Molly Anne Dutton was named Auburn’s homecoming queen!

Amazing—from what some people would call a disposable “blob of tissue” to homecoming queen. All because of the selflessness of a mother.

And you thought fairytales at Auburn only came true on the football field!

Folks, Molly Anne Dutton’s story reminds us that we don’t have to choose between biblical truth and compelling stories. It’s not all about facts and figures. We must touch people’s hearts as well as their heads. And true truth always does that, because the ultimate Truth of the world was embodied personally in Jesus Christ.

Here’s another true fairytale, told by Jerry Root and our own Stan Guthrie in their outstanding book, “The Sacrament of Evangelism”:

“A woman named Virginia and her husband,” they write, “were expecting their first child. Doctors, however, said the kidneys of the unborn baby were pocked with cysts. They said the child could not possibly live more than a few hours and advised them to abort.”

Virginia was heartbroken, but she had no intention of ending the baby’s life. She told the doctor, “I do not know why God chose me to be the mother of this child, but since He did I will give birth to this child and I will love it with mother-love the best I can for as long as it lives.”

When the baby was born, Virginia rocked, nursed, and sang to her baby until the child died. Jerry and Stan note, “There are no scales to measure such love and courage.”

Years later, another woman told Jerry about her pregnant daughter: Doctors told her that the baby inside her would also die within hours after birth and advised an abortion.

So Jerry put her in touch with Virginia, who spoke with the daughter by phone every week. “Taking courage from Virginia’s example,” Jerry and Stan write, “the daughter chose to give mother-love to her child for as long as that child should live.” Beautiful, right? But here’s the kicker: “After the baby was born, the doctors discovered that they had made a misdiagnosis. The baby was fine.”

It’s in these stories of people like Molly and Virginia, and the gracious God they serve, that our neighbors will not only learn about the goodness of God; they’ll be able to see it.

And please, if you’re on Facebook or Twitter, share this broadcast with your friends. You’ll find a transcript and the audio at BreakPoint.org. What better time to share these kinds of stories than at Christmas, when the Truth became flesh and dwelt in our midst.

Horror: Violent mob of topless pro-abort feminists attacks praying men defending cathedral (VIDEO) Edit (0)

by Sofia Vazquez-Mellado

Buenos Aires, December 2nd, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Extremely disturbing video footage from Argentina shows a mob of feminists at a recent protest attacking and sexually molesting a group of Rosary-praying Catholic men who were peacefully protecting the cathedral in the city of San Juan from threats of vandalism.

The women, many of them topless, spray-painted the men’s crotches and faces and swastikas on their chests and foreheads, using markers to paint their faces with Hitler-like moustaches. They also performed obscene sexual acts in front of them and pushed their breasts onto their faces, all the while shouting “get your rosaries out of our ovaries.” (Note: Some of the most graphic content has been removed from the video. Uncensored footage is available here. Viewer discretion strongly advised.)

According to InfoCatolica, some of the women chanted a song, with the lyrics: “To the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church, who wants to get between our sheets, we say that we want to be whores, travesties and lesbians. Legal abortion in every hospital.”

During the attack some men were visibly weeping. None of them retaliated against the abuses heaped on them.

 Protect

While the site of the protest was the front of the cathedral, InfoBae reports that “the whole city awoke to graffiti in favor of abortion.”

Inside the cathedral, 700 people were also in prayer accompanied by their bishop Mos. Alfonso Delgado.

After unsuccessfully trying to get into the building, the women burned a human-sized effigy of Pope Francis. “If the pope were a woman, abortion would be legal,” they shouted.

The attack took place on Sunday, November 24th during the National Women’s Encounter, which annually brings together Argentinean feminists who support “women’s rights.”

The police reportedly told the media they were unable to intervene because “they are women.”

The parish priest Fr. Rómulo Campora said to the Diario de Cuyo that “the burning of the image of Pope Francis is an offense, not just to the Church but to every Argentinean because the pope is Argentinean.”

Praising the men who defended the church, he said: “San Juan loves its God, loves its faith, loves its family.”

He lamented the damage done to the cathedral and concluded that “if they don’t respect life, we can’t expect them to respect the buildings.”

The National Women’s Encounter takes place every year in different Argentinean cities, sponsored by the Department of Culture as a “social interest” event.

According to the Argentinean pro-life site ArgentinosAlerta.org, this is not the first time that the feminists wind up in public violence against churches and Catholics.

In past protests, the cathedral of Bariloche, Paraná and Posadas have also suffered damages from these groups.

“These encounters of women represent today’s civilization that seeks to impose it’s own rules,” reads the site.

“On one side, they try to impose political agenda that international organizations dictate: population control, abortion, contraception, homosexualism. On the other side, they become barbaric in the most literal sense.”

A Mother’s Love: Pictures Show Premature Baby’s Amazing First Year Progress

http://www.lifenews.com/2013/11/22/a-mothers-love-pictures-show-premature-babys-amazing-first-year-progress/

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 11/22/13 3:46 PM

A video and pictures of an amazing baby with a fantastic story are circulating the Internet today. In the pictures and video, Benjamin Scot Miller of Columbus, Ohio depicts the transformation of baby born extremely premature through his first year of life.

Miller documented his son’s first days in the neonatal intensive care and how he progressed enough to finally go home and celebrate his first birthday.

“He was born way too early, and the obstacles he had to overcome were really big, but not bigger than our God,” Miller writes.

In the video, Ward Miles is shown hooked up to tubes and cord as his mother holds him for the first time.

“This is a story of a mother’s love for her baby,” Millerwrote. “A year ago from this Halloween he came home. I made this video to commemorate his first year and how far he has come. Today happens to be his mother’s birthday… so I made this as a gift to her. I want to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff all over the world that make it their life’s mission to help babies get better! It’s because of you that my son ever stood a chance to make it home!”

The Huffington Post has more on the story, after the video.

Baby

It is one thing to make a video of your baby’s first year as a surprise for your wife. When that baby was born 15 weeks prematurely, scored the lowest he could on a test for bleeding in his brain and spent his first 107 days of life in a hospital with soaring heart rates, that gift becomes even more special.

At 25 weeks into her first pregnancy, Lyndsey Miller was at work and started having cramps that she thought were due to her morning workout. It turned out she was in labor. Her baby, Ward Miles, was born only four hours after her doctor sent her to hospital that day.

The Ten Dumbest Things Said in Defense of Abortion

by Cassy Fiano | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | http://www.lifenews.com/2013/08/01/the-ten-dumbest-things-said-in-defense-of-abortion/

Washington, DC (LiveActionNews) — The past few years haven’t been great for abortion.

More and more people are calling themselves pro-life, including more young Americans than ever before. Pro-life laws are being passed in record numbers each year. While it would be foolish to say that pro-lifers are winning the war on abortion, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that we’re making progress — and that has the pro-aborts panicking.

Some pretty crazy statements are being made in their desperate attempt to keep abortion on demand legal at any time, for any reason. Some are flat-out ridiculous, some are insulting, and others chilling. These are ten of the dumbest things said in defense of abortion.

10. Women shouldn’t have to choose between their cell phones and birth control.

In a stunning display of entitlement, students at the University of New Mexico got upset because the school would no longer be subsidizing birth control. While pro-aborts often try to give sad, sad stories about women who need birth control out of medical necessity, or need abortion because they will DIE without it, the truth is, it’s often merely a matter of convenience. The reason women should get free birth control? Because otherwise, students might be forced to choose between their birth control and… their cell phones! Or their gym memberships! Oh, cruel world! It is just an unthinkable notion that a college student be forced to work out for free at the icky gym on campus, or go with a cheaper cell phone model — or, even worse, pay for the ultra-cheap generic brand birth control at Wal-Mart. Worst of all is the notion that they might be forced to abstain from sex, since they can’t afford birth control and aren’t ready for a baby. Because in the pro-abort world, women are merely animals, incapable of controlling their sexual urges, right?

9. Pro-lifers need a lesson on the birds and the bees.

Nancy Pelosi makes her first appearance on our list, where she responded to laws limiting (but not outlawing) abortions in North Carolina and Texas by saying that pro-life politicians needed “a lesson on the birds and the bees”. Because the only people who understand sex and pregnancy are the pro-aborts, right? Unfortunately, that has turned out to be less and less true over the years. Pro-lifers have embryology on their side, as well as the science of pregnancy and fetal development. Meanwhile, pro-aborts just try to insist that a baby is just a clump of tissues, or that fetal pain laws are dumb because fetal pain doesn’t exist, or that there are no adverse risks that come with abortion. It doesn’t matter that the science isn’t on their side — they’ll still keep claiming, like Nancy Pelosi did, that it’s pro-lifers who are the idiots in need of educating.

3d-ultrasound-fetus-baby38. Women should go into debt to have an abortion.

Abortions are often expensive, costing thousands of dollars when late-term. Ripping babies into pieces is hard work, after all. But this can mean finding the money for the abortion is difficult for some women. Thankfully, pro-aborts like Leela Yellesetty are here to help! What does she do when women are struggling to afford an abortion? Why, help put them into debt, of course! Yellesetty bragged about how she would talk women into taking about payday loans with interest rates over 300%, pawning their valuables, and putting the money for their procedure onto already maxed-out credit cards. Who cares that these women will be breaking their backs to pay off a $3,000 abortion funded by a payday loan with a 322% interest rate? The abortionist got their money, and that’s all that matters.

7. White people are trying to eliminate abortion to “build up the race”.

Pro-lifers have long since spoken out about the overwhelming number of black babies that are aborted. We speak out against the fact that black babies are being aborted at higher rates than other babies, or that many abortion clinics intentionally target minority neighborhoods. And why is this? According to CBS analyst Nancy Giles, this is all because white pro-lifers want to build up the white race. Yep, that’s right. Our dastardly plan is to build up the white race by opposing abortions of black babies, therefore leading to… erm… the births of more black babies. Makes perfect sense.

6. Men don’t deserve to have a voice on abortion.

According to many pro-aborts, men shouldn’t be allowed to talk about abortion, at all (unless they’re for abortion, in which case it’s totally cool). This is because men can’t get pregnant, so as one pro-abortion blogger said, male voices should be silenced in the abortion discussion. Nevermind that the baby is half the father’s. Men need to just shut up about abortion! And meanwhile, anyone who isn’t black can’t speak about slavery, and anyone who isn’t Jewish can’t talk about the Holocaust. Right? It’s the same logic, after all.

5. You’re only a person if you can play tennis.

A few years ago, Choice USA released a video about pregnancy that was just hilarious. To show how ridiculous the idea of a fetus being a person is, a pregnant woman is told that she has to play doubles tennis instead of singles, must pay for two tickets to see a movie instead of one, and must split a bill between two people three ways — because her unborn child is a person. Get it?? Because everyone knows that a person is defined by what they can or cannot do. In a wheelchair and can’t play tennis? Well, clearly this means you aren’t a person worthy of life.

4. As a Catholic, abortion is sacred ground.

Nancy Pelosi makes her second appearance on our list, where she talks about her wackadoodle version of the Catholic faith. Pelosi defended not only abortions, but late-term abortions, by saying that as a practicing Catholic, keeping late-term abortions legal was sacred ground. Abortion may be a sacrament for pro-aborts, but in the actual Catholic church, protecting all human life is what’s actual sacred ground. Pelosi’s fight to keep abortion legal goes against Catholic teachings, and pretending she’s a pro-abortion warrior because she’s a Catholic does nothing more than make a mockery of the Church.

3. Women who don’t support abortion are men with breasts.

It’s not unusual to hear a pro-abortion feminist say that women can’t be feminists unless they support abortion. Unless you fall in lockstep with their abortion worship, you can’t be a part of their club. But they also insist that they’re pro-choice, not pro-abortion. Actually exercise a choice they don’t agree with, though, and they’ll turn on you before you can blink. Case in point: Pennsylvania State Representative Babette Josephs, who smeared pro-life women by calling them men with breasts. Because you can’t be a real woman unless you’re willing to advocate for the brutal murder of your unborn child!

CLICK LIKE IF YOU’RE PRO-LIFE!

 2. Women would be nothing without abortion.

Carly Manes is 19-years-old, and defines herself as an abortion activist. She’s able to do all kinds of cool stuff, and so are other women. Why? Because of abortion! According to Manes, it is only because abortion is legal that women are able to devote their energy to do things like go to school, work as an activist, be an athlete, or decide to be vegetarians (like Manes!). Women owe everything to abortion. Without the ability to kill our unborn children, women would be able to accomplish nothing. Girl power!

1. Abortion takes a life, but it’s a life worth sacrificing.

Salon blogger Mary Elizabeth Williams takes the number one spot on our list, with easily the most chilling statement. According to Williams, abortion is taking a life — but that’s OK because it is a life worth sacrificing. Williams claims that an unborn child is a life, just not one worth as much a mother’s feeling that a pregnancy is inconvenient. For Williams, some lives simply have more worth than others, with the “others” being disposable. It takes a truly depraved mind to argue that it’s acceptable to take a life merely because that person isn’t worthy of life.
