Students Put Up Posters on Campus Targeting Christians. Where is the Outrage?

waving flagBy Michael Ware April 7, 2016

Recently there have been posters popping up all over select university campuses. The posters call out a certain group of people. They target and degrade a single group of students on campus. And of course, since that group is Christians, there is no outrage.

Breitbart reports

A growing university poster campaign is asking CP 01Christian students to check their privilege. Although the campaign originated out of the University of San Francisco, the message has now created backlash with students across the country after the posters went viral on social media networks like Tumblr and Facebook.

This is a scary trend, considering most of the people writing the posters come from rich, privileged homes. Yes I am a ChristianMost likely none of the producers of these posters are from poor or even lower class families. And almost without exception, none are paying their way through school.

But worse than that is the fact that the people behind these posters ignore the biggest problem with their message. The problem is that they completely ignore the struggle that a Christian faces on these campuses.

Breitbart continues

Not only have faculty been accused of treating Christians unfairly, but university administrators have allegedly engaged in discriminatory practices as well. In 2015, National Review columnist David French detailed his experience with the university practice of “ideological cleansing,” which he claimed almost cost a Christian applicant a spot on the faculty at Cornell Law School: “the committee almost rejected an extraordinarily qualified applicant because of his obvious Christian faith (he’d attended a Christian college, a conservative seminary, and worked for religious conservative causes). In writing, committee members questioned whether they wanted his “Bible-thumping” or “God-squadding” on campus.”Big Gay Hate Machine

And all the while, we have the same problem with the Christian that we have with the LGBT community; none was born in this class. I am not a Christian from birth no more than a transgender is transgender from birth.

And if they do not like me having privilege that they wish they had, then I have a solution. Convert or move to a Muslim country. Then they can write a poster about Muslim privilege.

Wait Until You See the ‘Abortion Barbie’ Posters that Greeted Democrat Wendy Davis in Hollywood

Wendy Davis, the State Senator from Texas who is also the Democrat gubernatorial candidate, was partying it up with the Hollywood elite on Thursday in L.A. Those radical progressives from California who would like to help turn Texas blue paid upwards of $25,000 to the campaign of Davis for the privilege of attending a ‘soiree’ in her honor. Davis was catapulted to national fame and earned the name Abortion Barbie when she filibustered a proposed bill in Texas that would end late-term abortions. The bill would have also required doctors performing abortions to have hospital admitting privileges. Her antics proved unsuccessful and the bill became law.

Davis’s visit to L.A. was met with more than just the bright lights of the big city of glitzy Hollywood.  Twenty life-sized posters depicting Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie” was placed throughout Los Angeles just ahead of her fundraiser.

The posters say “Hollywood Welcomes Abortion Barbie, Wendy Davis”. The life-sized Barbie pic has Wendy Davis’ face as Barbie, a plastic baby in her belly, and a pair of scissors next to her near a baby’s head.

Since Davis stood up and fought against making abortions more safe for women and advocated strongly for the killing of the baby during even a late pregnancy stage, one would think she would proudly embrace her depiction. After all, it is simply a pictorial representation of her advocacy in support of abortion, even during the late –term.

Of course, the Davis campaign is attempting to use the posters as a way to attack her GOP opponent Greg Abbott, despite the fact that he had nothing to do with the posters. According to Newsbusters, Kathryn Stuard, a conservative woman from Midland, Texas, paid the conservative artist “Sabo” to design and hang the posters.

MySanAntonio.com reports that Stuard, a 53-year old woman who made her money in the oil business, said of the posters, “It hits people with the truth. The artist is very edgy…I do support (Greg) Abbott but the campaign had nothing to do with these (posters).”
