Anyone who has ever bought a car knows about “sticker shock.”  You’ve eyed  that car on the dealership lot from afar.  Finally, the time is right to take a  test drive then seal the deal to make that purchase.  However, the price on the  sticker is more than enough to send you into hyperventilation fits as you try  to  convince yourself the sticker price is wrong.  Well, Mr. Obama and his band  of  merry Democrats are currently suffering “Obamacare shock.”  Yes, they knew  millions of Americans would lose their healthcare insurance and many would not  be able to keep their doctor.  It was obvious to those who analyzed the effects  of Obamacare that healthcare insurance premiums would increase on most  Americans  who would be forced into the exchanges, along with other abominations  that have  yet to gain the attention of the public.  So, why are Mr. Obama and  his  Democrats experiencing “Obamacare shock?”

obama-national-securityThe law’s namesake and Democrats in Congress are  shocked at the reaction of Americans to Obamacare after its implementation.   Just as the Congress passed this law so they could find out what’s in it, many  Americans reserved their judgment of the government healthcare insurance law  until after its roll-out.  Millions of Americans received cancellation notices  from their healthcare insurance providers while the government website for  enrollment into Obamacare was, in the most pleasant of terms, inoperative.   Those who were able to access the new Obamacare exchanges were hit with higher  premiums, deductibles, and some discovered they were ineligible to receive a  subsidy to offset the increased cost.  The result is Americans who originally  supported Obamacare have now jumped ship, previously insured Americans will now  be uninsured, and those Americans the law targeted will continue to be  uninsured.  Add to this equation the dismal numbers of Americans who have  actually accessed the exchanges and the emerging picture of “failure” becomes  clear.

Now, some Democrats, who previously supported this monstrosity, have begun to  distance themselves from the disaster using many different tactics ranging from  blaming the Republicans, dropping the affectionate designation “Obamacare,” to  calling for complete repeal.  Obama has entered damage control mode, but his  goal of a single payer system is still the brass ring he strives to reach.  In  his latest attempt to soothe the masses, Obama has indicated his signature  healthcare law needs “a  full-blown rebranding effort.”  Once again, Obama hits the campaign trail  in  public relations gear attempting to remarket a product that is more than  defective – it’s totally broken.

At  a meeting in Washington, hosted by the Wall Street Journal, Obama told  attendees, “I am confident that the model we’ve built, which works off the  existing private insurance system, is one that will succeed.  We’re going to  have to, A., fix the website so everybody feels confident about that.  We’re  obviously going to have to remarket and rebrand and that will be challenging in  this political environment.”

Translation:  “What we have is causing me grief; it’s not working so  I want my name off of it.”

Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, and competitors.[1][2] Often, this involves radical changes to a brand’s logo, name, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate.

Rebranding can be applied to new products, mature products, or even products still in development. The process can occur intentionally through a deliberate change in strategy or occur unintentionally from unplanned, emergent situations, such as a “Chapter 11 corporate restructuring,” “union busting,” or “bankruptcy.”

Obama and a Democratic majority Senate and House decided that 30 million  uninsured Americans needed to purchase healthcare insurance.  They declared our  healthcare system “broken” and passed Obamacare.  These same politicians  modeled  Obamacare “off the existing private insurance system.”  Now, due to the  negative  backlash, Obama has decided that a new marketing campaign and  rebranding this  atrocity is the solution.

One question that should be asked of Obama is:  If our system was “broken,”  why was the existing private insurance system used as a model to build the  current one?

The 30 million Americans who are uninsured is not because of a “broken”  system.  Those uninsured are not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid.  Private  individual healthcare insurance policy premiums are out of reach for some based  on their income and/or numerous economic difficulties.  Then, there are those  Americans who choose not to purchase healthcare insurance policies for reasons  that are not income or economic based.

The premise made by Obama and his idolatrous worshiping Democrats was  individuals without healthcare insurance coverage did not have access to  healthcare or “good” healthcare services.  Access to healthcare is very  different from the ability to pay for those services.  Having healthcare  insurance does not guarantee the receipt of healthcare services nor does it  guarantee payment for those services.  Healthcare insurance coverage is  designed  to offset the cost of medical services thereby reducing out of pocket  expenses  to the individual.

An individual may not be able to “access” healthcare services when needed  because of logistics.  In very rural areas, healthcare facilities are not as  prevalent or varied as in cities.  It may be inconvenient for individuals to  travel long distances to receive services.  And, the healthcare industry is  suffering from lack of doctors and support personnel, such as nurses, to  adequately expand services in needed areas.  Depending on the need for  specialty  services, individuals may wait months to see an orthopedist,  neurologist or  rheumatologist, to name a few.  Mandating individuals to  purchase healthcare  insurance does not solve the problem of logistics.

During the Washington gathering, Obama  did acknowledge problems with the Obamacare website stating, “There is a  larger problem … the way the federal government does procurement and does IT  is,  just generally, not very efficient.  In fact, there’s probably no bigger  gap  between the private and public sector than IT.”

Translation:  “I know we gave a no-bid contract to Michelle’s  friend’s company but Congress allows it.  The company is the one who defaulted,  so it’s not my fault.”

The company selected to build the federal website for access to the exchanges  was awarded to the company where Michelle Obama’s friend held a high position.   According to one source, the company responsible for the failed website was paid  $394 million – four times the original quoted cost of $94 million.   Facebook  and Twitter were created for less.  When procurement of a company to  do business  with the federal government is based on cronyism, one can almost  predict there  will be problems.  So, the problem is not a big IT gap between  the public and  private sector nor is it inefficiency with procurement.  The  problem is  politicians and presidents rewarding friends and monetary  contributors with  government contracts or positions instead of basing  procurement and employment  on qualifications.  That is not inefficiency.

During one of my second year nursing classes, a guest speaker stated “no  matter how many times you kiss a frog, it’s still a frog.”  It’s the same with  Obamacare.  No matter how Obama and the Democrats try to dress it up, change  its  name, change its website or flip-flop the disaster that it is, it is still  an  unconstitutional law that forces Americans into a system that ultimately  removes  individual choices regarding healthcare in favor of government dictates  in an  area the government has no business.

So, keep kissing that frog, Nancy.

Obamacare shock among its namesake and Democrats is already having its  effects.  Obama is being derelict in his duty to make sure the law is  faithfully  executed by legislating changes in the mandate deadlines through  executive  order.  Democrats and RINOs in Congress are swiftly attempting to  pass  legislation so those millions who have received cancellation letters from  their  carrier can keep their policy, for only a year.  They are having a  knee-jerk  reaction to problems they knew would occur when the law was passed  three years  ago.  Ego and desperation are the driving actions, nothing  more.

Regardless of the Supreme Court ruling, the government mandating individuals  purchase healthcare insurance or the government providing socialized medicine  is  not an enumerated power of Congress per our Constitution.  All branches of  our  government ignored this stipulation regardless of whether it is described  as a  “tax” or not.  Instead of adhering to the Constitution, the egos of Obama  and  the Democrats chase after this pig of a piece of legislation that’s covered  in  lard.

Americans are saddled with this unconstitutional law and are, basically,  being forced to obtain a healthcare insurance plan or face a penalty (tax)  imposed by the Internal Revenue Service.  Obama and his donkeys continue to  kiss  the frog in hopes of a prince or continue to put lipstick on the pig in an  attempt to disguise the “pork.”  Either way, the American public can expect  more  posturing, more lying, more deception and more unlawful behavior from our  elected officials as more information is revealed about this law.

More Obamacare shock is on the horizon for Americans as well.  Congress can  repeal this nightmare of an abominable, unconstitutional law or states can  nullify it.  Until then, the only recourse Americans have against this shock is  to walk off the dealership lot.

While running, I thought about the Obamacare disaster and if President Obama  is so brilliant, how do you explain this abject failure? I began to ask myself,  is this truly incompetence or possibly intentional — or both?

Obamacare is facing countless issues and the website is not really the most  critical of the issues. The whole plan is based upon the flawed premise of  forcing more young and healthy into exchanges to actually fund and subsidize,  lower income and less healthy Americans.

More and more it appears that Obamacare has an intentional purpose of  destabilizing and destroying the insurance market. There seems to be evidence of  full knowledge of the adverse effects of millions of Americans being dropped  from their individual healthcare plans, even as the President was stating  Americans could keep their plans.

We know the true goal of progressive socialists is a single-payer system  under complete government control. That can only be possible if there is no  private sector competition. It becomes Medicaid for all.

As a matter of fact, part of Obamacare includes the government takeover of  college student loans and the elimination of private sector financial  institutions for this purpose.

I don’t believe this to be purely abject incompetence, although it’s part of  the equation. But this just seems intentional and follows the Cloward-Piven  strategy to overload the U.S. public welfare system in order to precipitate a  crisis leading to a government takeover of basically everything.

There are too many instances of destabilization of our economy – not to  mention our national security — to believe this is just incompetence. It’s  getting too easy to connect the dots between our foreign policy of snubbing  allies and courting enemies, slow dismantling of our military readiness,  money-printing, and control of education through Common Core. How can an entire  administration be that incompetent? What do you think? Is there is an  intentional nefarious design at play?

A Washington woman who received a presidential shout-out learned afterwards that if Obamacare is too good to be true, it probably is. It turns out that the “affordable” coverage she was originally promised is unaffordable, and she’ll have to go without.

When touting the Affordable Care Act at his Oct. 21 Rose Garden speech, President Barack Obama added a heartwarming and memorable testimonial from a struggling single mom, according to the Washington State Wire.

“I recently received a letter from a woman named Jessica Sanford in Washington state, and here’s what she wrote,” the president said, who then read from her letter.

I am a single mom, no child support, self-employed, and I haven’t had health insurance for 15 years because it is too expensive. My son has ADHD and requires regular doctor visits, and his meds alone cost $250 a month. I have had an ongoing tendinitis problem due to my line of work that I haven’t had treated. Now, finally, we get to have coverage because of the ACA for $169 a month. I was crying the other day when I signed up. So much stress lifted.

Obama closed with the following: “Now, that is not untypical for a lot of folks like Jessica who have been struggling without health insurance,” he said. “That is what the Affordable Care Act is all about.”

When Sanford applied for coverage under Obamacare, she was informed that most of her premiums would be covered by a tax credit.

“I’m really terribly embarrassed,” she told the Wire. “It has completely turned around on me. I mean, completely.”

Another Obamacare computer glitch, as the Wire reported:

Chalk it up to a bollixed-up state website that apparently still has major problems. Originally it said Sanford and her child would get a whopping tax credit that would reduce their total premium to $169 a month. Now the state is telling her it goofed – twice – and she has to pay full ticket. There may even be a third goof involved: At least one health-insurance broker says she may qualify for a tax credit after all, albeit a small one. Officials at the state Healthplanfinder website could not be contacted Sunday night. But it just goes to show that even in the state of Washington, which has earned national kudos for a health-insurance exchange that seems to function better than the dysfunctional federal website, there are big, big problems.

Sanford’s $169 health insurance premium was based on her qualification for a monthly $452 discount.

Four days after the president’s shout-out to her, Sanford received her first letter from the state, informing her that the previous calculations were made in error and that her discount would be reduced to $110. She felt she could still work with this by switching to a less favorable plan — one with higher deductibles and copays.

“I knew I would be struggling in my slow months,” Sanford said. “I didn’t know how I was going to do it. But honestly, I just wanted to get it in my budget and start working on it right away and start working on saving money toward it – that was all I could do, just work at it and hope for the best and try to take the money from here or there or wherever.”

Then the other shoe dropped. She got a second letter from the state last week informing her that she was entitled to no tax credit at all. She has no choice but to continue without insurance.

“They have to own up to what is going on,” Sanford says. “They have to fix it. They can’t just go around and say this is working great. In my opinion they ought to shut it down and just get all of it straightened out.”

So much for the “affordable” in the Affordable Care Act.

Many Americans have experienced the ill effects of Obamacare. That’s because the President’s broken promises are piling up. He promised that if you like your health care plan you can keep it. But for millions of Americans, that’s not true.

He said that the law would make health insurance more affordable. But across the country, Americans are seeing their premiums go up, not down. And when launching Healthcare.gov, the Obama administration said that the website was safe, secure and open for business. We now know that isn’t true, either.

The data obtained by Healthcare.gov is one of the largest collections of personal information ever assembled. It links information between seven different federal agencies and state agencies and government contractors.

The website requires users to provide personal information like birth dates, social security numbers, and household incomes in order to obtain information about potential health coverage. But security experts have expressed concern about flaws in the site that put this personal data at risk and subject users to the threat of identity theft.

This week, the Science Committee, which I chair, held a hearing to examine security and privacy concerns about the Obamacare website. We heard from witnesses outside the government who are experts in cybersecurity and hacking websites. They provided a convincing evidence of the vulnerabilities that underlie Healthcare.gov.

One of our witnesses, David Kennedy, is a “white hat hacker,” who is hired by companies around the world to test the security of their online systems by essentially hacking their websites. During the hearing, Mr. Kennedy gave a demonstration of the healthcare.gov website’s vulnerabilities showing in real-time that hackers can access personal information on the website. It’s clear that not only is the website vulnerable, it’s under attack.

When asked whether he believed the website had already been compromised by hackers, Mr. Kennedy testified that he believed the website has either already been hacked or soon will be.

The massive amount of personal information collected by the Healthcare.gov website creates a tempting target for scam artists. Identity theft jeopardizes credit ratings and personal finances.

Here are some real-life examples of people who have already had misfortune after using the Obamacare website. Mr. Thomas Dougall of South Carolina received a surprise phone call from a stranger one Friday evening explaining that he had just downloaded a letter off the Healthcare.gov website containing Dougall’s personal information.

And when Lisa Martinson of Missouri called Healthcare.gov’s customer service after forgetting her password, she was told three different people were given access to her account, address and social security number.

Aside from technological vulnerabilities, it turns out that federal employees—called navigators—who help users apply for insurance on the Healthcare.gov website have not received background checks. Yet they are able to access the personal information of thousands of people.

These threats to Americans’ well-being and financial security should make us question the future of Obamacare. Perhaps it is time to take Obamacare off of life support. Americans deserve a healthcare system that works and that they can trust.

The Obama administration has a responsibility to ensure that the personal and financial data collected by the government is secure. It is clear that is not the case today. In their haste to launch Healthcare.gov, it appears the administration cut corners that leave the site open to hackers and other online criminals.

Given the distressing testimony we heard at the Science Committee’s hearing about Healthcare.gov, there is only one reasonable course of action. Mr. President, take down this website.

Obamacare is making us sick.

Just the very idea of any law being thousands of pages long in the first place is enough to give you a queasy feeling in your head and stomach.  I even get a bit nauseous merely buying stuff at the supermarket,  when the self-checkout computer thing starts spitting out seemingly endless coupons and a receipt longer than my arm.

As a general rule, I don’t trust any document involving more than a single page, especially when lawyers are required to administer it.  There comes a point where you know they’ve got something over you, and it’s only made much, much worse when the bureaucrats are suddenly in charge of even more of your most personal medical/financial decisions and information.

Obamacare, like so many horrible governmentschemes, exists only because socialist flim-flam artists sold it as an alleged way to “help people.”  Just over half the country smelled the scam and tried in vain to stop it, but it was shoved down our throats by Democrats who controlled both the legislative and the executive branches.

Those who really know the score have studied and understood the “Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis,” and that all of this chaos and economic devastation is really the core of what Obama hinted at when he howled in exultation about “fundamentally transforming” our country, five days before winning his first presidential election.

In a valiant stand a month ago, Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee led the charge to try to head off the funding/implementation of Obamacare, only to be betrayed by craven fellow Republicans, stonewalled by democrats, and vilified by the corrupt, leftist media for the fiscal impasse and partial government shutdown which resulted.

My, how things have changed in a month.

Suddenly, not only is it looking somewhat safe to be a Republican again, Ted Cruz can grin and know that he’s coming up smelling like a rose after all.  He was right in trying to stave off the disaster which Obamacare is proving to be.  And speaking of betrayal, Americans have been rudely awakened to the fact that Obama brazenly lied to them over and over and over and over again, again and again, in order to carry out the scam.

So now democrats and even Obama himself are lifting their cues from Ted Cruz, calling for a “fixes” for the debacle that poetically align with the kind of prescriptions which Cruz and the Tea Party brain-trust have been proposing all along, especially while he was increasingly being treated like a political pariah.

Tea Party Texas Senator Ted Cruz is the OBAMACURE.

Even democrats are now so desperate that they’re clamoring for the life-saving antidote, though they still refuse to ask for it by its proper name.

Politics is an extremely tricky business, but if there’s any justice in this world (and it’s actually starting to look again like there might be) the Tea Party contingent and Ted Cruz will be able to pick up the reins, somewhat master the media, and lead our country out of this socialist morass.  Ideally, Obama and his entire administration will resign in order to try to avoid impeachment/prosecution–but of course that’s just my idealistic dreaming.

For the time being, until the full-blown Republican revolution comes, I’ll settle for a gradual, generic remedy of the worst symptoms.

Let’s keep supporting upright, courageous public servants like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, and their Tea Party brothers and sisters.

NBC’s Meet the Press host David Gregory took House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to task Sunday for the failures of Obamacare and taped promises she made about the law.

Gregory played a clip from 2009 when the then-Speaker of the House essentially repeated President Obama’s infamous “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan promise” in an interview with MSNBC’s Ed Schultz.

While Obama has acknowledged he was wrong, Pelosi still couldn’t bring herself to admit it.

“Are you accountable for saying something that turned out not to be correct?” Gregory asked.

“Well, it’s not that it’s not correct, it’s that if you want to keep it and it’s important for theinsurance companies to say to people, this is what your plan does,” she said. “It doesn’t prevent you from being discriminated against on basis of pre-existing conditions.”

Gregory didn’t let up, though.

“The government has decided there have to be minimum standards in any health care plan. So if you have something and you like it and it doesn’t meet what the government says you have to have, you cannot keep it. That’s not what you said, though,” he said.

“If you had your plan before the enactment of the law in 2010, if you had your plan — there is nothing in the law that says — we can go back and forth on this,” she sputtered.

Pelosi returned to the Democratic talking point that the promise made referred to keeping plans they had before Obamacare was passed in 2010, but Obama continued to make that pledge in 2012 and as recently as late October 2013. Yet, Pelosi commended Obama for being forthright and taking responsibility for Obamacare’s problems.

Also, Gregory played a clip of her much-criticized remarks that Obamacare needed to be passed in order to “find out what’s in it,” leading to this exchange:

DAVID GREGORY: And hasn’t that idea that you have to pass it before you know what’s in it, isn’t that really the problem, as you look back on it, that there was such a rush to get this done, no Republicans voting for it, and now there are unintended effects of this that were foreseen at the time that you couldn’t know the impact of it and now this is coming home to roost.

NANCY PELOSI: No. What I was saying there is, we are House and the Senate, we get a bill, we go to conference, we ping-pong it and then you see what the final product is. However, however, I stand by what I said there. When people see what is in the bill, they will like it, and they will. So while there’s a lot of hoop-de-do and ado about what’s happening, very appropriate. I’m not criticizing. I said it would take a great deal to pass this bill. I said, if we go up to the gate and it’s locked, we’ll unlock the gate. If we can’t do that, we’ll climb the fence. If the fence is too high, we’ll pole vault in. If we can’t do that, we’ll helicopter but we’ll get it done. We had to pass the test of the courts, and we did. The first rollout in the first part, the first year of the implementation went very smoothly. The website did not work. That has caused problems, complicating people transitioning from those policies. But again, this was never thought to be easy. And the fact is it doesn’t matter what we’re saying here. What matters is what happens at the kitchen table of the American people and how they will have more affordability, more accessibility, better quality care, prevention, wellness, a healthier nation honoring the vows of our founders. That life, a healthier life, liberty to pursue their happiness not be chained by a policy.

GREGORY: I understand what the arguments are. The administration is saying –

PELOSI: That’s the only argument.

Outlets are quoting Democratic operative Howard Dean saying of President Barack Obama suspending certain Obamacare requirements, “I wonder if he has the legal authority to do this.”

To remove all doubt: The Take Care Clause of the Constitution absolutely forbids any president from doing exactly what Obama did Thursday.

Obama said he would allow insurance companies to keep offering previously-offeredinsurance plans that Americans would like to keep. Nobody knows if this means all plans, or only some of them, and how the White House will make such determinations. He says he has “enforcement discretion” to make this change to the Affordable Care Act unilaterally, without consulting Congress.

This is a frightening claim of a sweeping power that is completely inconsistent with the Constitution. A president has “prosecutorial discretion” to prioritize which lawbreakers to prosecute in federal court, but there is no “enforcement discretion” to determine which laws on the books he will enforce.

Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution commands of every president: “he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” Like every provision in the Constitution, it has a legal meaning—and that meaning is the Supreme Law of the Land, which Congress, the courts, and—yes—each president is bound by his oath of office to follow carefully.

Everyone should know from their high-school government classes that Article I of the Constitution gives Congress exclusive power to make federal laws, and Article II of the Constitution gives the American president the executive power to administer and enforce those laws. Article II then includes the language about how the president must faithfully execute those laws.

Among other things, the Take Care Clause was inserted in the Constitution to abolish the Royal Prerogative that the Framers of the American Constitution knew from their lives as Englishmen. It was the power of the king of England to disregard or effectively suspend Acts of Parliament. The king could not make laws, but he could shelve a law that Parliament had passed.

Obama’s announcement is a flagrant and undeniable violation of his constitutional duty under the Take Care Clause. The provisions of Obamacare causing enormous trouble forinsurance plans are mandatory, and only Congress can change those parts of the Affordable Care Act. Every day provides additional proof that Obamacare is a complete train wreck, but it is one regarding which only Congress can change the terms.

This president’s relationship to Congress is reaching toxic levels, due in large part to the regularity of his hyper-partisan rhetoric and ongoing disrespect. He is learning that the campaign tactics that enabled him to win two presidential elections are manifestly counterproductive when applied to the arduous task of governing, especially in a country as large and diverse as America.

It is not clear at this point whether anyone would have standing to sue over this matter in court. If the experts who are saying today that this unilateral move will only make matters worse are correct, someone might suffer an individualized injury that they could litigate.

President Obama should hope that doesn’t happen, because if a federal court can get past the procedural hurtles to reach the merits of the case, it’s an open-and-shut case that this president’s actions are unconstitutional—again.

When I wrote my article titled Democrats Jump Ship over Obamacare, I was amused by Democrats trying to distance themselves from Obamacare, but as the awful reality of this horrible law affects more and more Americans, it seems that the Democrats who helped shove this down your throat are having second thoughts about the whole thing. Some of them are even going so far as to publicly say the President was wrong for misleading you and them about the whole thing. What about what they said when they were pushing this on us in 2009?

congress-healthcareWhat unmitigated gall! Even the likes of Diane Feinstein are chiming in and trying to act like they are shocked and upset, and that insults my intelligence! Prior to the debut of the Affordable Care Act, Dianne Feinstein and all the rest of the Democrats have been defending this law like it was their child, and have been angry at Republicans for not wanting to pass it in the first place. They are still defending it against any effort by Republicans to either repeal it or defund it.

According to the Democrats, “You can huff and you can puff -but the Affordable Care Act is not going away!”

Now they act shocked and angry at the President because of what they helped him do to the American people. Are we supposed to take them seriously?

As I previously stated in other articles, every single Democrat who was in office at the time signed that law! Not one of them even read the bill before voting for it, and now because it’s going badly for them, they think that they can jump ship and try to distance themselves from it and the President? I don’t think so! They need to be held accountable, and it’s up to us to not let them get away with it.

For the last 5 years of the Obama occupation of the White House, progressive/liberal/democrat/Marxist’s have been acting more and more emboldened in their disdain for the will of the people they are supposed to be serving. Dianne Feinstein has tried to introduce gun control legislation more than once and has also attacked the 1st Amendment with Shield Laws. So forgive me if I don’t believe a word she says about Obamacare right now, she, like every Democrat in Washington D.C. is trying to save their political careers and their jobs right now. They are counting on you being too damn stupid to remember that they are the ones who did this to us in the first place. This law was forced on the American people. We were, in effect, violated against our will. This law is one of the main reasons the Tea Party was formed.

So, as the time for the 2014 elections draws near, I’m sure that more and more of those same Democrats who did this to us will try to convince you that they really didn’t want it in the first place. It’s up to us to not let them try to BS their way out of it. Rather, we must hold each and every single one of them responsible. Even Bill Clinton is going on record saying the President “misled” us and for him to keep his promise.

Remember folks, those Democrats who brought this down on us will say and do anything to keep their jobs at this point. It’s our job to make them pay for this, and the only thing they understand is to be voted out of office! Please feel free to give them a call and tell them that there is no excuse for this.

How can a reasonably intelligent person in America believe anything that a Democrat says right now?

Victims of Obamacare are sharing their stories across the internet; by victims, I mean those individuals who have had their healthcare insurance policies canceled and hit with higher premiums and deductibles because of the Obamacare roll out. Some of these individuals favored health care insurance for all in the form of Obamacare while others did not support government intrusion into their private lives.

But, what how are the Democrats in Congress handling this “bungled” implementation of a “thrown together in a rush” health care fiasco? With the 2014 elections just around the corner, one Democrat is calling Obama’s guarantee of “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, period” grossly misleading the American public.

Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) stated on KGW-TV, “A lot of Americans, a lot of Oregonians, have stayed with the same policy for a number of years and are shocked that their policy got canceled.”

According to The Daily Caller:

“So I think the President saying you could stay with it and not being honest that a lot of these policies were going to get canceled was grossly misleading to the American public and is causing added stress and added strife as we go through a really difficult time with healthcare,” Schrader added.

Democratic Minority Whip Steny Hoyer acknowledged two weeks ago that Democrats had been aware that some people might lose their insurance plans when the law took effect, saying, “We knew there would be some policies that would not qualify and therefore people would be required to get more extensive coverage.”

At a Tuesday briefing with reporters, Hoyer said he disagreed with Schrader’s statement.

“Do I think he grossly misled? No,” Hoyer stated.

“I think the president was not precise, and I think that, he should have been precise,” Hoyer said. “We all should have been more precise.”

Wow! There is so much manure coming out of Washington these days that a couple of these Democrat Obama idolators needs to stand in the small garden plot my parents have to fertilize it for this spring’s planting season. They would have a bumper crop for sure!

It is nice to see that Schrader is calling Obama’s statement “grossly misleading;” however, Obama lied – not once, not twice, but repeatedly, in order to deceive the American public into accepting Obamacare for something it is not. The only reason America is going through a “really difficult time with healthcare” is because of the unconstitutional, atrocious Obamacare. Schrader is attempting to fool his constituency and the American public into thinking he is advocating for the citizenry. The only thing he is advocating for is keeping his seat in the House to be exempt from Obamacare and assist with the “nobility rule” of the American masses.

“We knew some people had policies that covered what they needed but we wanted them to purchase more than what they needed because we know what is best for everyone where their health is concerned.”

I can see where single males might need that prenatal care coverage or contraceptive coverage and possibly baby murder coverage; after all, the pregnancy rate among single males is staggering. (Yes, this is heavy sarcasm.)

Hoyer, in contrast to Schrader, excuses outright lying by qualifying that the president and Congress “were not precise.” Hello? Hoyer? Anybody home in that brain of yours? I can see the lights are on but no one is answering the door!

These people think Americans are stupid. Video evidence abounds showing Obama making a precise, definitive, clear, unmistakable statement – “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, period.” I pride myself on reading and verbal comprehension as it was drilled into me by first my mother, then my college professors and nursing instructors. Can someone please tell me where this statement is not precise and where this statement is unclear? Obama didn’t give all the details and hid from the American public the true effect of this healthcare monster. He engaged in deception and fraud.

Obama has been back-peddling and issuing qualifying statements in contrast to his “less than precise” statement, even to the point of denying making that definitive statement. This man thinks everyone in America is a fool and that video evidence is a lie. Everyone is lying; everyone is against him; everyone misunderstood. This is the repertoire of victim mentality.

Poor, poor Obama! He’s a victim of those nasty Republican, the terrorist Tea Party groups and those annoying Christians so we have to help him by supporting his anti-American agenda; if we don’t, we’ll be labeled as racists. Democrats act like their hands are tied by their political party. Democrats passed this law without a single Republican vote. Democrats passed this law without even reading it. Democrats chose to knowingly inflict injury on the American public. So, Democrats own this mess and no amount of “playing victim” can change that. There are no victims in Washington.

Schrader and Hoyer need to go; vote them out. Obama and his cronies knew when this law was passed millions of Americans would lose healthcare insurance they were satisfied with. Those Democrats who were elected after the law was passed knew weeks before implementation millions of Americans would lose healthcare insurance they were satisfied with. Schrader is hitting the band wagon early to keep his position. Hoyer, his nose still up Obama’s anus, really doesn’t give two shakes so he follows lead by issuing qualifying statements.

As time goes on and the full impact of Obamacare is exposed, there will be more manure, back-peddling, and qualifying statements issued all around in order that these deceiving Democraps can keep their seat of power. It all revolves around keeping themselves part of the “ruling nobility:” no more, no less. Sadly, they don’t care what they have to do to remain there even if it means selling out their constituents and all of America. Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson would be so proud of this “New Deal – Great Society.”

This week, Leno turned up the heat to scorching levels while some of his peers resorted to full spin mode regarding Obama’s cascade of scandals. Tuesday night, Leno mocked Obama’s commencement address at Morehouse College as well as the president’s claim that he learned about the latest scandals hitting his administration from watching news reports.

And a Chicago man has set a new Guinness Book world record for the longest ferris wheel ride. He went 48 hours, 48 hours straight riding the ferris wheel in Chicago’s Navy pier. In fact, the only way to go around and around in circles that many times is to read the official report on Benghazi. That’s about the only way to go around and around.

Well, look at this. The White House, the White House has admitted that President Obama’s chief of staff had advanced warning the IRS was targeting conservative groups but never told the president. Well, President Obama says the first time he heard about the IRS scandal and the AP phone records scandal, first time he heard about it was from the media. See, that’s why President Obama holds press conferences: not to explain what’s going on, to find out what’s going on. To find out what – oh, of course.

LenoAnd wouldn’t you know it, Leno’s ratings are on the rise these days.

The ratings leader in his time slot, Leno positively crushed Letterman and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel in the just-released early May sweeps ratings.

It’s too late for Leno to save his job, which will fall to Obama sycophant Jimmy Fallon next year. Leno will go out the same way he served late night viewers for the past 20-plus years, poking fun at the president in true satirist fashion.

New Catchphrase: “Substandard Coverage”

It is no secret that the Left has been redefining our language in order to make what they shove down our throats easier to swallow. For example;

  • They call a fetus in a mother’s womb;
    • a globulin mass
    • a mass of tissue
    • a growth like a tumor
    • etc., etc., etc..
  • They took a word meaning, “lighthearted (gay)” so that any reference to homosexuals would sound nice and something to desire.
  • “Reach across the aisle” has now become, “do it our way or we will demonize you out of existence”.
  • “Negotiate” no longer means;
    • : to discuss something formally in order to make an agreement
    • : to agree on (something) by formally discussing it
    • : to get over, through, or around (something) successfully
  • According to the Left it now means “our way or the highway.”

There are so many more, but for this discussion, we want to look at their latest redefinition, “Substandard Coverage”.

You said I could Keep ItNo matter who is speaking, representing the Left, they have all been programmed to refer to health insurance plans that have been cancelled as “Substandard Coverage”, instead of what it really is; FORCED CANCELATIONS OF HEALTHCARE COVERAGE (those policies America was promised they could keep) BECAUSE OF OBAMACARE’S UNINFORMED, UNCARING, IGNORANT DEMANDED COVERAGE THAT A VERY FEW AMOUNT OF AMERICAN CITIZENS ACTUALLY NEED.

Of course, they pretend not to realize that by making that ridiculous statement, they are in fact saying to over 5 million people, “you are so stupid to make the choice of healthcare coverage you did, that we have to force you to get coverage WE DEEM as STANDARD”.

Never mind that you have been happy with that coverage and you;

  • no longer need coverage for pregnancy,
  • have never needed coverage for mental health,
  • never needed coverage to get off drugs,
  • or any of the other demands they think you need.

Never mind that you selected the plan you did because it fit your budget. Never mind that you calculated the risk of needing anything more and believed that you could cover the unexpected if necessary. Never mind that you don’t believe in abortion, or Birth Control medication, so not having it covered is fine with you. Why pay for coverage you will never need?

Insulting Americans has become an action the Left believe they are entitled to because, after all, they are so much smarter than the rest of us. They are convinced they own the right to make every decision for us in order to protect us from ourselves. That is the mindset of Socialist.

When confronted with such lunacy, they quickly respond with, “We’ve never heard any alternative”.  I say, “Free people, making choices for their lives and families, that best meets their needs, budgets and lifestyles, is the alternative.”

While we are on the subject of an alternative, I will repeat what I have been saying for years now;

  • Repeal Obamacare 100%
  • Take the demands off the insurance companies of what they must include in their coverage.
  • Enact the legislation that the National Association for the Self Employed developed several years ago;
  • Allow self employed people to create non-profit groups so they can acquire GROUP coverage in multiple states like big corporations.
  • Under Group Insurance, preexisting conditions are covered because the insurance company spreads the risk across the group coverage.
  • Raise the qualifications so more people can get Medicaid.
  • Enable Self Employed people to write off their health care cost like any corporation.
    • Special Note: The Self Employed are the nation’s largest employer.
  • Provide a way for hospitals to recoup their losses for treating uninsured and/or illegal people who come to them for treatment.
  • Enforce the laws on the books right now regarding people entering our country illegally.
  • Provide a tax break for families who have demonstrated responsibility by acquiring health care coverage.

It is not rocket science. Let the market forces work and this mess will be settled. The Health Care industry was never the mess the Left claimed. Yes, they had their issues. Some of them was related to treating so many illegal people using the Emergency Rooms as their primary care and never paying the hospital bills.

In bottom line is this: President Obama, and whoever is pulling his strings, are determined to gain control over all American lives so they can throw out our Constitution and install a Socialist/Collective Governance. It’s never been about health care for the poor. It has always been about control.

For those of us who know that, we have to constantly bring every discussion with the Left back to that basic fact. We want our country back. We want, and demand the small government our founders envisioned and enacted. We demand you get out of our lives, let the free market forces work like they were designed to do, with as little interference by any government entities. Enforce the laws on we have on the books, especially the laws covering legal and illegal entrance in our country. Honor the Bill of Rights as they were intended and written. Let us be the free people our founders intended, and God the Father desires. And all the people said, “_______”.

A few weeks ago the taxpayer-funded Thanks ObamaCare campaign released the “Brosurance” ads, which featured young men drinking beer, doing keg stands, and asking “Got Insurance?” The same organization has since released new ads, this time aimed at young woman. One features a young woman holding birth control pills while standing next to a young man.The ad’s caption expresses how eager she is to have sex with someone she has apparently just met:

OMG, he’s hot! Let’s hope he’s as easy to get as this birth control. My health insurance covers the pill, which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers. I got insurance.

Another ad features a young woman standing with actor Ryan Gosling. The caption reads:

Hey Girl, you’re excited about easy access to birth control and I’m excited about getting to know you. She got insurance.

You’ve come a long way, baby.

In order for the ObamaCare insurance pools to work; young, healthy people, like those featured in these ads, must sign up in droves to pay for the older and sicker people that are certain to enroll. These ads are obviously aimed at making ObamaCare appear to be hip, edgy, and cool (if not a little sordid).

How hip, edgy, and cool ObamaCare will look after these young people feel the rate shock of reality is the very thing that will determine whether the president’s signature piece of legislation implodes, or not.

Or maybe it’s the scene where foot soldiers in a gang destroy the unassuming store of a poor neighborhood family. Both scenes are intended to demonstrate to you the viewer — and to the protagonist in the film — that the bad guy is very powerful and likely … unbeatable.

You’ve seen the movies. Today, you don’t need a movie to watch this kitschy story line play out; you simply need to observe the Obama White House in action. Or should I say the Obama cartel? The Obama family? The Obama gang?

The latest proof that the Obama administration believes itself to be the all-mighty arbiter of what is good and right is their reported response to insurers who are willing to tell reporters what is going on with Obamacare. The Obama administration is telling insurance companies to keep their mouths closed, and if any quotes or messages are leaked to the media, they draw immediate attention from the White House.

In essence, the Obama administration is using all of the coercive force they can bring to bear to threaten the insurance companies into silence. They are not using their influence for the good of Americans either–they are simply bullying the insurance companies in an effort to save face. The truth is that the media is trying to figure out why so many people are being dumped by their insurance companies and the answer is incredibly embarrassing to the White House.

“…Clarifications were made to the Affordable Care Act after the law was passed and those clarifications are forcing the insurance industry to drop insurance plans that do not meet Obamacare requirements. There’s a lot of coverage now required in these plans that was not part of many people’s private healthcare plans. Those are the people, Anderson, who are being dropped. And despite all the rhetoric from the President you simply cannot keep your current healthcare plan if it does not meet these requirements… the insurance industry is embarrassed about canceling the plans but… the administration was warned about this very scenario and ignored the advice.”

Why would the insurance companies not fight back? Why are they cowering in fear when faced with the corrupt bullies on Capitol Hill? What could the Obama gang have on them that could keep them from speaking truth to power and letting America know what is going on?

Obama Godfather“Executives are willing to listen to the White House because right now it is the Federal government that’s the biggest customer for these insurance companies. Government backed plans accounted for about 48% of healthcare policies last year Anderson (Cooper), a number that is expected to grow this year and years to come… insurance companies are in a position to just be quiet for fear of offending their biggest source of income.”

Don’t buy the Democrat spin when they say the insurance industry just needs more government oversight or involvement. The government is plenty involved – in fact, that’s the problem. The government is in bed with the insurance companies which is why our costs keep rising, even now under Obamacare. Crony capitalism always leads to more profits for the government backed company and less choice, efficiency, quality and satisfaction for the consumer. It is the corruption of the free market that has allowed the Obama Cartel to take over our healthcare and thoroughly ruin what was once a fine system.

The Obama gang is scared. First they ran the economy into the ground and now they are destroying a healthcare system that just needed some tweaking. It’s the same story we’ve seen play out time and again. The IRS scandal, Benghazi, the NSA … plan to hear a lot more news about the Democrats and the White House using their intimidation tactics to keep people quiet.

“It wasn’t an unintended consequence. It was an intended consequence,” Rubio said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”  “This was done on purpose because they want to undermine and gut the individual marketplace.”

Rubio didn’t elaborate, but he signed on to a bill introduced Wednesday by Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., that would allow people to keep current policies they like even if current rules say they can’t.

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh has long maintained that Obamacare is a step toward a single-payer plan that essentially would put every American on government-sponsored insurance.

“I’m fully convinced that the chaos that’s happening now could well be intentional to speed it up,” Limbaugh said on his radio show Tuesday.

Limbaugh repeatedly has played clips of President Barack Obama saying in 2003 and 2007 that he wants to eventually move toward a single-payer system.

California residents Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are proud to say they voted for President Obama in 2008 and 2012. They’ve also been proud advocates for his prized health care law. But after opening their health insurance bills last month, they’re both “floored.”

“I was laughing at Boehner—until the mail came today,” Waschura told San Jose Mercury News, referencing House Speaker John Boehner during the heat of the defund Obamacaredebate on Capitol Hill in late September.

Both Vinson and Waschura’s health insurance plans are being replaced to meet the requirements of Obamacare. Vinson will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura’s plan for his family of four will increase by $10,000.

“I really don’t like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so [mad] about this,” Waschura said. “When you take $10,000 out of my family’s pocket each year, that’s otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy.”

“Of course, I want people to have health care,” Vinson told San Jose Mercury News. “I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”

Obama raising money off HealthCare.gov problems

The troubled HealthCare.gov website may be having problems pulling in applicants for ObamaCare, but that’s not stopping President Obama’s political arm from pulling in cash off the dysfunctional site. 

Through his political group Organizing for Action, Obama sent a videotaped message to supporters in an email Tuesday evening.

In the video, the president said “the website has not worked as smoothly as it was supposed to,” but “we’re gonna get it fixed.” As he’s said before, the president added: “The Affordable Care Act is much more than a website.”

The email, though, also appealed for donations, saying “the other side will spend millions to maintain the status quo.”

Supporters who click past Obama’s video message are then taken to a donation page that says: “The other side has already spent a whopping $400 million in anti-Obamacare TV ads. We don’t have to beat that, but we need to have the resources to fight back.” 

The group has been organizing a multitude of events and social media campaigns around the health care law’s implementation. OFA said those efforts will continue, but the group isn’t adjusting its strategy in response to the website’s issues.

The campaign-style effort to defend the law comes as the administration, in Washington, tries to soothe both insurance companies and Democratic allies about the site’s operation.

Health insurance executives were scheduled for a meeting at the White House on Wednesday. It included Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough.

On Wednesday, the administration also sent Mike Hash, who runs the health reform office at Health and Human Services, to Capitol Hill to brief lawmakers on the law’s implementation.

Only Democrats were invited to that session, prompting protest from House Speaker John Boehner, whose spokesman called it a “snub” and said the administration should brief House Republicans, too.

But a Boehner spokesman said Wednesday that HHS has since agreed to provide House Republicans with a briefing on the site. “We are working out details,” the spokesman said.

Obama has turned to longtime adviser Jeffrey Zients to provide management advice to help fix the system. Zients, a former acting director of the Office of Management and Budget and a veteran management consultant, will be on a short-term assignment at HHS before he’s due to take over as director of Obama’s National Economic Council next year.

Meanwhile, Vice President Joe Biden and top White House officials held a call with business leaders Tuesday about the health law and other issues. Business Forward, a trade group friendly to the White House, said the administration asked the group to invite leaders to hear directly from Biden.

Dr. Ben Carson Diagnoses Obamacare’s Disease


Recently Dr. Carson made statements about Obamacare being the worst thing since slavery. He recently went on the left wing CNN talker Roland Martin’s radio show to explain what he meant, and there is no backing down in Dr. Carson.

Dr. Carson: This nation was founded on the principle that it would be a new type of nation that was for, of, and by the people. A constitution was put in place that would assure that the people remained at the pinnacle of power and that the central government would never reach the point where it had control of the people. This fundamentally changes the relationship… It places the government now at the pinnacle because it now is placed on a road that will give it control of everyone’s health. Your health is the most important thing that you have, and I think most of us are asleep at the wheel. We don’t actually realize what’s happening.

Roland Martin: But Dr. Carson, how is the government, how’s the government controlling people’s health when you talk about providing health care.

Dr. Carson: What do you need for good healthcare? You need a patient and you need ahealthcare provider. Along has come a middleman to facilitate the relationship. Now it has become the primary entity with the patient and the healthcare provider at its beckon call. Completely turns the situation upside-down. And this is only the beginning. What you will see – mark my words – is that a lot of the insurance companies will begin to fold. People will have fewer and fewer options. Ultimately we will have a single-payer system if we don’t stop this from happening. And that will give the government the kind of control that it needs. And, you know, all you have to do is look back through history – and this is something that most people don’t, they don’t know very much about history, even in this country.

Too right, Dr. Carson. Keep preaching the truth — hopefully someone starts listening.

The rocky rollout of Obamacare isn’t limited to website problems. According to a report from Bloomberg, many doctors and clinics are now demanding that people pay the entire deductible on their insurance before they will be seen. Obamacare will increase that practice, since a huge number of plans under Obamacare have low premiums with huge deductibles.

The second-cheapest Obamacare plan in California has a $2,000 annual deductible. Hospitals want deductibles paid up front to ensure they receive their cash rather than being stiffed on the back end. Meanwhile, employers are jumping on the high deductible bandwagon, with 34 percent of insured workers having deductibles higher than $1,000.

There are 15.5 million people with high deductible plans, an increase of 12.5 million since 2005. Both doctors and hospitals at New York University Langone Medical Center insist on full payment of deductibles before care, according to administration.

“President Barack Obama and House Republicans began discussions Thursday on a GOP proposal to extend the nation’s borrowing authority for six weeks, marking a new opening in the budget stalemate that risks a U.S. debt crisis.”

Noooooooooooo! Are you kidding me?! Just Wednesday I was so proud of the GOP—especially the typical establishment types–because they had hunkered down, and held the line, even closing the government…well, 15% of the government. I was fairly certain that this would be a defining moment for the GOP as a whole. But, like so many things in life, the GOP never fails to disappoint.

The polls show that almost as many Americans blame Obama for the shutdown as they do the Republicans. A video from Campus Reform shows a vast majority of Colorado college students blaming Obama—this is Lib-central Colorado! Obamacare is an abject failure—even in terms of its website. A new Rasmussen survey of likely voters has Democrats tied with Republicans on a hypothetical general election, each standing at 40%. Just a week ago, the Democrats were in the lead by several points. And finally, according to an AP-GfK poll, Obama’s approval rating has dropped precipitously to 37%. We were beginning to reverse the tide. We can’t stop now.

Even with all of this pointing in a good direction for a new conservative tidal wave, Republicans are backing down in various forms. Once great thinker, now nitwit Paul Ryan wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, essentially telling Republicans to concede to Obama’s demands.

This isn’t a grand bargain. For that, we need a complete rethinking of government’s approach to helping the most vulnerable, and a complete rethinking of government’s approach to health care. But right now, we need to find common ground. We need to open the federal government. We need to pay our bills today—and make sure we can pay our bills tomorrow. So let’s negotiate an agreement to make modest reforms to entitlement programs and the tax code.”

I am so tired of Republicans caving over and over again. Is Ted Cruz the only politician on whom I can rely? Is there no other Conservative who stands for anything? I’m aware of Mike Lee, and several others, but I’m speaking in terms of a larger group.

We cannot stop. It is time for a conservative revolution. Ted Cruz helped ignite a fire that was stomped out long ago—a conservative flame. Our country has to stand for something. If we cave to Obama—even slightly—he will regain his composure and become more powerful than ever before. We must not show weakness in the face of tyranny. We must harden our hearts for the sake of our future, and stand resolute in our ideals. This is my plea to Republicans. I hope they get enough of these, or this fight is over before it began.

Jon Stewart Calls Obama Administration Liars

We are not so used to hearing one of the media’s beloved darlings take our side of any argument, so when it does happen, it takes a little time for us to absorb what’s happening.

Stewart’s best attacks came while questioning Sebelius on why the Obama administration would delay the Employer mandate for one year but they refused to do the same with the individual mandate. He could not understand, with all of the problems in the roll out of the Obamacare scheme, why the Obama administration would choose to give big business a pass but not individual tax payers who were bearing the brunt of the problems to begin with.

“But if I’m if an individual I’m wondering — well, an individual who doesn’t want this because there are individuals clearly that want this — but if I’m an individual that doesn’t want it, it would be hard for me to look at big business getting a waiver and not having to do it and me having to because I would think, ‘geez, it looks like because I don’t have a lobbying group’… I would feel like you are favoring big business because they lobbied you to delay it because they didn’t want to do this year but you are not allowing individuals that same courtesy.”

JonandKathSebelius really had no answer, simply saying that only a few businesses actually got exemptions.

Stewart pushed on, wondering why the administration would not delay the individual mandate after watching so many businesses cut healthcare programs forcing their employees onto Obamacare rolls. In what Stewart called a massive “loophole” in the Obamacare legislation, it truly seems that the people that the law is supposed to help are actually the ones getting screwed. (Which is what Republicans have been saying for almost four years now.)

Again, Sebelius had no retort, only saying that it wasn’t true that businesses were cutting employee healthcare coverage. (Oh really Secretary Sebelius? Here are just three examples;Home DepotWalgreens, and UPS. But there are more and more examples every day.)

So unconvinced was Stewart by the entire interview, that at the end of the show he took a moment to express his frustrations to his viewers.

“I still don’t understand why individuals have to sign up and businesses don’t, because if the businesses — if she’s saying, ‘well, they get a delay because that doesn’t matter anyway because they already give health care,’ then you think to yourself, ‘f*** it, then why do they have to sign up at all,’” he said. “And then I think to myself, ‘well, maybe she’s just lying to me.’”

The fact that one of the liberal’s leading lights has begun to question the Obama administration’s official version of events on the Obamacare roll-out leads me to believe that the media spin on which side is winning the public relations battle over Obamacare and the shutdown, may just be spin.

jonstewartThe central Democrat demo are the people watching Stewart’s Daily Show for their news, and they just heard the Republican argument straight from the lips of their own Edward R. Murrow. Stewart may wear a clown nose, but to liberal American twenty-something’s, he’s the closest thing to news they’ll get. If Stewart is indicative of what they’re feeling, then Republicans are in a very good position to win this fight. If they can find the guts to keep up the pressure. That’s a B-I-G if.

We tried warning President Obama that his health-care law was unworkable. Now, after a glitch-filled week of implementation, Obamacare is under attack from the likes of not only Senator Ted Cruz, but also CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

Yes, even the face of CNN is offering Obama this friendly advice: “They had three years to get this ready. If they weren’t fully ready, they should accept the advice that a lot of Republicans are giving them: delay it another year.”

 Anyone who has ever caught a five year old doing something he knows is wrong knows what to expect; denial (“I didn’t do it”), projection (“you made me do it”) and, when all else fails, petulance, name calling and egotistical ranting. Mind-numbing deceit fortifies every stage. Infant miscreants seldom get away with it. Yet, when Democrat reprobates achieve office and their lackeys in the media indulge in the same dishonest and willful behavior, the nation accepts every falsity, wringing its hands and moaning. Recent news stories exemplify how America enables overblown, megalomaniacal bullies in government to hijack the narrative and hold an entire nation hostage to its demands.

FOX News asked, Wednesday:  “Is the Obama administration employing a make-it-hurt strategy to gain political leverage in the budget battle on Capitol Hill?” Presumably, this was a serious inquiry. After 5 years of a ruinous presidency FOX still queried whether The Lyin’ King and his regime are damaging the nation deliberately. Let’s presume the question is serious. On Wednesday, The Washington Examiner offered FOX enlightenment in the following headline:

“Shutdown overreach: More personnel sent to WWII memorial than Benghazi; Park Service closes park it doesn’t run.”

Sure sounds deliberate.

Harry Reid kept the ball rolling with a typically, over-the-top, Orwellian whopper, made after he’d turned down yet another House bill intended to partially fund the government:

“On the same day that Democrats in Congress delivered quality, affordable health insurance to tens of millions more Americans, Republicans in Congress delivered the nation a government shutdown…And thanks to the Republican government shutdown, 200 sick patients – including 30 children – were turned away from a National Institutes of Health clinic that offers life-saving new treatments. Most of the children turned away are suffering from various forms of cancer.”

He accused “modern day Anarchists in the House” of “dancing with glee over the shut down.” But even Dana Bash of CNN wasn’t buying that hooey:

“You all talked about children with cancer unable to go to clinical trials. The House is presumably going to pass a bill that funds at least the NIH. Given what you’ve said, will you at least pass that? And if not, aren’t you playing the same political games that Republicans are… if you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it? ”

Reid, jettisoning accusations he’d leveled at Republicans moments earlier, answered her:

“Why would we want to do that? I have 1,100 people at Nellis Air Force base that are sitting home. They have a few problems of their own. This is — to have someone of your intelligence to suggest such a thing maybe means you’re irresponsible and reckless …”

The outright lies in Reid’s statement beggar count. Despite Reid’s contempt for us we are expected to believe him. In case anyone is paying attention, it is the Democrat bully pulpit preventing government funding. The House simply excised Obamacare from an otherwise fully funded Federal budget. But Democrats and their enablers want Obamacare, despite the will of the people. Democrats want it visited on you, that is, not them. The ruling class voted, overwhelmingly, to exempt themselves from the Obamacare yoke.

As of this writing, Senator Ted Cruz’s “Don’t Fund Obamacare” petition has well over 2 million signatures. Every survey to date confirms that Obamacare is thoroughly despised and that a majority of Americans want it gone. Despite the regime’s dogma, Democrat ideologues don’t care about or respect “the people.” Obamacare is The Lyin’ King’s creation. He has enacted a scorched earth policy to preserve it because he believes he is entitled to whatever he wants.

On 2/15/13 The Lyin’ King said;

“The problem is that I’m president of the United States, I’m not the Emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.”

Really? Five years experience puts the lie to that declaration. He was positioning the comment to appear democratic but he was deadly serious. He’s been earnestly engaged in making Emperor his personal reality. And the regime’s Imperial court, under the guidance of the likes of Harry Reid, will do anything to make it so at the nation’s expense…figuratively and literally.

The Truth About the Health Care Bills

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected.

To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.

The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled by the government.

However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.

The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority over the lives of the American people, and the businesses they own, in a number of different areas.

The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.

This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama administration, of all of your personal healthcare, which is a direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution regarding your private information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a violation of the 4th Amendment protecting you against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.

If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However , that doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the due process of law.

So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn’t stop there though.

The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;

The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.

I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution.” If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Reid knows that with every rejection, a timid Republican House is ever more likely to back down rather than be blamed for a government shutdown. Trouble is, they are being blamed anyway. Typically and irrationally, Republicans are being faulted, far more often than the Democrats, for being recalcitrant and forcing a government shutdown that is entirely unnecessary and is exclusively in the hands of The Lyin’ King and his retainers in the Senate.

After Reid rejected the first House bill, The House, in an unfathomable effort to buy more time before a government shutdown scheduled to begin at midnight Monday, offered a watered-down bill to the Senate; the first bill proposed a government completely funded…except for the ruinous, new entitlement, Obamacare. For the second go-round the House, unsurprisingly, backed off.  In yet another nod to Democrat autocracy, the revised bill proposed to delay instituting Obamacare for a year and to eliminate taxes on medical products, products like aspirin, toothbrushes and band aids: “Don’t let’s think about defunding Obamacare for a while; let’s just stall and kick the can down the road for another year.” Those two amendments Democrats disliked were dismissed out of hand by Reid’s Senate Monday afternoon. Why cave in to a House that has proven its willingness to fold, like a cheap suit? As FOX News put it: “House leaders will now have to decide whether to make a counter-offer or accept the Senate bill.” House Republican Whip, Kevin McCarthy, indicated that the House may not be finished walking back their position: “We have other options for the Senate to look at…There are a few other ideas floating around the Hill for targeting ObamaCare without going so far as to defund it…” Swell.

According to The Washington Times: “Some Republicans want the House to pass a new bill that would fund the government but also would require President Obama, Vice President Joseph R. Biden and all of the administration’s top political appointees to forgo their government health plans and join the health exchanges. Still to be decided is another measure the House passed unanimously early Sunday morning that would guarantee U.S. troops continue to be paid even in the event of a government shutdown.”The Hill reports that Speaker Boehner, in a rare display of criticism for the Senate, said “The Senate decided not to work yesterday…Well my goodness, if there’s such an emergency, where are they?”

The answer is that the Democrat majority Senate is right where they’ve been since 2008; in the catbird seat. Their ploys to blame Republicans for their own actions are not accidental nor have they been since the inauguration of The Lyin’ King. Elected Democrats have reached a point where they are permitted to get away with a nation’s murder. Democrats are in complete control of whether a government shutdown, which they’ve fabricated into a false emergency, ever occurs. Both The Lyin’ King and his flacks in government have promised to reject anything that goes against what they want; Obamacare, a blight that a majority of Americans has recognized as such, shouldn’t be an issue. It is a political gift to Republicans and for a country desperate for genuine leadership.

On Monday, the House whined that the bill wasn’t being returned to them with enough time to amend it prior to meeting the deadline. RINO’s would do anything to avoid being tarred with a government shutdown. They might have learned a thing or two from President Reagan: If the Lyin’ King and a Democrat Senate want to turn the destruction of America into a game of “chicken,” House Republicans must finally prove the chicken isn’t them.

According to ABC News:

Sebelius said about 52 percent of HHS employees will be deemed unessential and furloughed, but that will not affect any workers in the call centers or ”navigators” tasked with helping people to sign up. Most of the funding for the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, was provided in the law so it would not be affected even if the federal government shuts down.

Sebelius did say it was “hard to tell” how a prolonged shutdown could affect implementation of the law down the road, though.

“That begins to look more serious the longer it takes,” Sebelius said, noting that much of  HHS’ operations will be covered under “mandatory money.”

She also acknowledged that there were bound to be “glitches” when the new insurance marketplaces come online Tuesday morning, and people  begin to sign up. HHS is running all or part of the marketplace exchanges in 36 states; the others will be handled by each state individually. She compared that possibility to Apple’s latest software upgrade, which asked users to download an additional update to fix problems with the initial update.

The House voted later in the night on procedural measures in regards to the continuing resolution. Republicans are seeking to appoint a “conference committee” to come up with a funding measure. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid responded to that idea saying, “We will not go to conference with a gun to our head.”

Obama’s Fallen and He Can’t Get Up

Remember when your small child used to say, “I fall down and go boom”? Perhaps that is what’s happening now on the world scene. The President of the United States has fallen down, and we can only hope that neither he, nor we, go “BOOM!” But to hear what others have to say on the matter…”The state-owned Syrian newspaperAl Watan put it bluntly in a headline on Thursday: “Moscow and Damascus pull the rug out from under the feet of Obama.”

Perhaps the President needs to subscribe to LifeCall. Remember “I’ve fallen…and I can’t get up!”® a TV commercial catchphrase for a LifeCall medical alert systems to be used by people who are subject to falling at inconvenient times in inconvenient places. Perhaps some of our leaders could do well to memorize this commercial. Al Watan’s comment is only the latest in a whole series of stumbling and bumbling that have plagued this President from the git-go.

It seems that from the beginning of Barack Obama’s tenure as President, again and again, he has fallen. Maybe he should have the handy button to punch to gain somebody’s attention. Rather than asking for help to “get” up, his administration seems to divert the attention of the drive-by media and many of our fellow Americans to some other crisis. But it so often happens that his diversion leads to another scandal or unsavory situation. Let’s look briefly at a few of them.

DOJ scandal: Which one? Let’s just pick one. Black Panthers were intimidating voters (November 4, 2008): Seems that a group of New Black Panthers took it upon themselves to hinder and even intimidate voters in one precinct. The DOJ lawyer decided that they should be prosecuted under Federal law. However, once Eric Holder became Attorney General, he ordered the investigation to cease and the potential prosecution squashed. There must have been some dead people who hadn’t had a chance to vote yet.

Solyndra Scandal: Solyndra bailed out in 2009; went bankrupt in 2011: This was a doozy. Obama himself went to Solyndra manufacturing to tout the forward looking producer of solar panels and to assure them of a financial bailout, 535 million dollars. Sure enough, it worked. They were bailed out. The owners of the company pocketed a fair sum and then in 2011, Solyndra went bankrupt. Was the White House embarrassed? Did the White House mend its ways and never ever bailout another clunker? If you believe these statements are true, I have some beach front property in Western Kansas I would let go for a small price.

Benghazi4Benghazi Attack and Cover up: September 11, 2012: Four Americans, including an American ambassador, were killed when armed insurgents fired upon a Consulate in Benghazi, Lybia, which is sovereign property belonging to the United States. At first, the administration blamed the attack on an anti-Muslim video that had wide circulation. When that proved useless, they tried to just ignore the incident. The then Secretary of State, Hillary I-might-just-run-for-President-again Clinton declared that she was taking responsibility for what happened. It worked. She took the responsibility, and virtually all Congressional hearings ceased or at least slowed. I wonder if Al Capone had taken that position, his conviction on tax evasion might have been dismissed, and he could have died in peace in his Chicago apartment of syphilis.

NSA Scandal: June 10, 2013 Edward Snowden’s Revelations: A low level contract worker with the National Security Agency didn’t like what he was seeing come across his desk or his monitor, and decided to blow the whistle. Regardless of whether you take the position that the guy is a hero for revealing some very questionable activities of the NSA spying on American citizens, or that he is a traitor for revealing classified secrets, you do have to admit that Edward Snowden shook things up. Do I expect anything to change as the result of these revelations? Of course not. Nothing will change except for the arrogant indignity shown by government officials and drive-by media commentators. Snowden now resides in Russia, and I’m sure that he will be consulted by Premier Putin when it’s time to take possession of Syria’s sarin gas supply.

There are other scandals. I can’t keep up with them. I’m not sure I agree with Al Watan that Russia and Syria “pulled the rug out from under the feet of Obama.” More likely, he stumbled because of his own clumsiness. He’s fallen and he can’t get up. He just continues to do a low crawl on his belly from one scandal to the next one with no sense of dignity or embarrassment at all.

SEIU unionists strike over Obamacare-related cuts

Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.

The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law.

Tyler French, Local 1’s organizing director, told Mediatrackers Ohio the company claimed it had to cut its employees’ hours due to Obamacare mandates.

French did not believe the explanation, though, calling it the “latest excuse in a long line of many that we’ve seen from corporate America.”

But others throughout the organized labor movement have warned that such actions will be a direct consequence of the President Obama’s health care law.

At the AFL-CIO’s convention in Los Angeles earlier this month, Loretta Johnson, secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, said it was already happening in her union.

“We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job,” Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.

Under Obamacare, once a person works more than 30 hours a week, that person counts toward the requirement that companies provide insurance if they have more than 50 employees.

SEIU enthusiastically backed Obamacare when it passed and remains a booster of the law today. Earlier this month, it announced that it was sending nurses, doctors and other health care professionals out to promote the law in 30 cities over the coming months.

If I could briefly interrupt the Republican firing squad aiming at Ted Cruz, let’s talk about something we all agree on. And by “we all,” I mean a majority of the American people, the Teamsters, many Democrats and every single last Republican.

Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster.

It was passed illegally without the House ever voting on the Senate bill and became law absent a single Republican vote — even “the girls from Maine” and “the girl from Arizona” — the only major legislation ever enacted on a strict party-line vote. The Supreme Court had to violate the Constitution’s separation of powers to uphold Obamacare as a “tax” — despite the fact that no elected body could ever have enacted such a massive tax hike even with the sleazy parliamentary tricks used to pass this bill.

Proving that everyone hates it, Congress has now exempted itself from Obamacare’s provisions, having asked for, and received, a waiver from President Obama.

Yes, these are the exact same politicians who lecture us that Obamacare is “the law of the land!” (So are our immigration laws.) The same ones who huffily announce that the Supreme Court upheld it! (The court also upheld the First Amendment in Citizens United, but that doesn’t stop Obama from demanding Congress overturn the First Amendment.) They are the same sanctimonious frauds who tell us that Obamacare is “the right thing to do!”

Those guys waived Obamacare for themselves. If national health care is so great, why don’t they want it?

In every single category of Crap Forced On the Country by the Left, liberals always have a work-around for themselves.

They love the public schools and denounce school choice — but their kids go to St. Albans or Sidwell Friends. As Al Gore responded to a question from a black journalist for Time magazine who asked him why he opposed school vouchers while sending his own kids to private schools, “My children — you can leave them out of this!”

Oh, now I see.

Liberals are always eager to release criminals and block crucial crime-fighting strategies such as stop-and-frisk — which they announce from the safety of their antiseptic, crime-free neighborhoods. They love the homeless, but try putting a homeless shelter in their doorman buildings.

They tell us guns won’t protect us — and then we find out the loudest of them all have armed guards. Staunch gun-control advocate Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago had three armed guards with him at all times, as well as an armored car. Mayor Rahm Emanuel also has armed guards and an armored car.

Chicago aldermen are allowed to carry any guns they like. But until very recently (we hope!) the people of Chicago were virtually prohibited from being armed.

Liberals love affirmative action — provided their offspring still get into Harvard, Yale or Princeton. How about they give up their kids’ seats to disadvantaged minorities?

Are you beginning to see the pattern?

Class warriors Warren Buffett and the Nation magazine’s Katrina vanden Heuvel hired phalanxes of lawyers to fight the IRS when informed they weren’t paying the government what they owed. George Soros and the Kennedy family stash their money in offshore accounts, safe from U.S. taxation.

Liberals also strongly support every manner of environmental regulation — unless it blocks the view from the Kennedy compound. In deference to Teddy Kennedy’s ferocious opposition to wind farms off the coast of Cape Cod, the federal government reduced the number of turbines, moved them farther off the coast and ordered them painted white to blend in with the view.

And now these government do-gooders shoving Obamacare down our throats have managed to exempt themselves from its wonderful provisions. Supreme Court justices won’t have to suffer under Obamacare, but will continue to have their health care subsidized by us, the hapless taxpayers forced into this rotten system.

Unfortunately, most Republicans are too stupid to notice that Democrats are walking around with a gigantic glass jaw. Democrats must not be able to believe their dumb luck. Instead of hitting our glass jaw, Republicans have decided to attack Ted Cruz!

Cruz, and his Senate colleague Mike Lee (who, for some reason, is being held harmless by both Democrats and Republicans), have demanded that the Senate vote on the House bill fully funding the entire government — except Obamacare. Most important, they want Democrats to allow more than one amendment to that bill.

The Democrats are refusing either of those options in the Senate.

Among the amendments Republicans might want to introduce is one requiring members of Congress and their staffs to live under Obamacare. Or an amendment delaying the law’s implementation for the whole country — and not just the big employers favored by Obama. And also an amendment taking the administration of Obamacare out of the hands of the utterly corrupt IRS.

Can we at least get Senate Democrats to vote on these urgent reforms? I’d especially like to see the votes of red state Democrats, such as Mary Landrieu, Mark Begich and Mark Pryor. I bet their Republican opponents in the midterm elections next year would, too.

Of course, for Cruz’s threat to work, it has to be credible. Too bad Republicans have been blanketing the airwaves proclaiming that: (1) They don’t have the votes to defund Obamacare; and (2) Republicans will get blamed in the event of any government shutdown.

Republicans: You never had to shut the government down! (And thanks for making it blindingly clear that you never intended to.) You could have waited to see how the public opinion was going and cried uncle at the last minute.

But instead of attacking Obamacare and the breathtaking hypocrisy of the Democrats over this massively unpopular law, far too many Republicans have been spending their time attacking Ted Cruz. (Why didn’t we see one-tenth as much venom directed at Sen. Marco Rubio for trying to give the Democrats 30 million new voters with amnesty as we have toward Cruz for trying to defund Obamacare?)

For every minute you spend attacking Cruz on TV, Republicans, could you consider spending two minutes attacking Obamacare?

Barry Goldwater didn’t “have the votes” when Ronald Reagan launched the conservative movement with his “A Time for Choosing” speech in 1964. But he galvanized conservatives and gave them the hope of future victories. Does Rep. Peter King think Reagan was a fraud who lost influence in the Republican Party with that speech? We don’t have the votes, Ron!

Whether or not Cruz succeeds, we wouldn’t be talking about Obamacare this week without his efforts to defund it — at least those of us who are talking about this disastrous law, rather than attacking Cruz.

What the Administration Didn’t Tell You About Obamacare Exchange Plans

Today the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a report regarding premiums and plan offerings in Obamacare’s exchanges for next year. Despite the Administration’s claims, premiums are going up due to Obamacare—and the quality of the “coverage” is, in many cases, going down.

In both today’s report and an earlier report released in July, HHS claims that premiums are, “lower than projected.” HHS bases its claim on a March 2012 Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimate stating that premiums for a family would average $15,400 per year on the exchanges. The Administration report claims that weighted average premiums are “16 percent below projections” based on that CBO report—therefore Obamacare is lowering premiums. (**  Remember, every state has it’s own Department of Insurance. Each DOI has alot to do with the premiums that are charged in that state.  With states like New York and California, both extremely high in premiums, Obamacare’s limited HMO policy will appear to be lower. In states like Arizona, even the limited HMO will be HIGHER. While it is true that numbers never lie, it is also true that numbers can be manipulated. The Obama propaganda machine is definitely manipulating the numbers they quote.)

What HHS didn’t mention is that CBO also estimated in a November 2009 analysis that individually purchased insurance premiums would go up by an average $2,100 per family, due to the increased mandates and requirements included in Obamacare. So when HHS says that premiums are “below projections,” it really means that premiums are still going up as a result of Obamacare—just by less than originally advertised.  (** Remember that when government demands an insurance company to cover certain illnesses, knowing that from day one the insurance company is buying claims, even though they have not received a single dime of premium. They are taking in a dollar of premium and paying out a hundred dollars of claim. No logical person would ever do that.)

That’s a far cry from candidate Obama’s promise that his health plan would lower premiums by $2,500 per year.  (** Because it is all propaganda smoke and mirrors.  You cannot accept anyone’s claims about insurance when they haven’t run such a company, or at least sold insurance. In order to get a license to sell insurance in any state requires certification. That requires a minimum of schooling and test that have to be passed. In that schooling you are taught how premiums are determined and how they are paid out.)

The HHS report also makes claims about a wide variety of plan offerings. What the report didn’t mention is that many of these “new” plans are Medicaid managed care plans, which insurance companies admit “will look a lot like the Medicaid plans we are currently administering.” HHS also didn’t mention that patients object to being placed in a program with low physician reimbursements and poor health outcomes—even some Medicaid patients don’t call the program “real insurance.”  (** The American public are not tald how many doctors and medical practices are no longer taking insurance of any kind. That will be the trend. You see your doctor you choose, pay him out of pocket whatever they determine to charge you and then you file a claim with the Obama approved insurance company. IF they have approved that doctor they will pay you according to what the policy says it will pay, and it will never be the same amount. IF the Obama approved insurance does NOT include your doctor in their approved doctors list, then 100% of the cost of that visit, tests and all, are out of your pocket. Joy. Joy. Joy.)

So instead of just raising premiums, Obamacare is inflicting a double whammy: forcing the American people to buy health plans costing more than what they paid previously, and providing such limited access to provider networks they may not be able to find a doctor that will treat them. It’s why Congress should act now to stop Obamacare before it starts.

House conservatives submit bill to replace ‘ObamaCare,’ amid ‘defund’ fight

A group of House conservatives introduced legislation Wednesday that members say will replace ObamaCare and its “unworkable” taxes and mandates with a plan that expands tax breaks for Americans who buy their own insurance.

Under the proposal endorsed by the 175-member Republican Study Committee, Americans who purchase coverage through state-run exchanges can claim a $7,500 deduction against their income and payroll taxes, regardless of the cost of the insurance. Families could deduct $20,000.

The plan — which appears to be congressional Republicans’ first comprehensive alternative to President Obama’s health care overhaul  — also increases government funding for high-risk pools. The plan serves as a rebuttal to Obama’s claims that Republicans just want to eliminate the health law and are no longer interested in replacing it. And it comes as House Republicans, on a different track, prepare to vote on a budget bill that would also de-fund the existing health care law. Democrats have vowed to oppose that bill, warning the strategy risks a government shutdown, with funding set to expire by Oct. 1.

Roughly 75 percent of rank-and-file House Republicans are on the study committee, and the new legislation is being formally presented at a time when leaders of the GOP-led chamber have yet to advance any comprehensive alternative to ObamaCare.

Lawmakers have voted more than 40 times on repealing part or all of the 2010 law, despite Republicans vowing over the past three years to “repeal and replace” the existing law.

“We can lower health care costs and fix real problems without a government-run system that puts unelected Washington bureaucrats between you and your doctor,” said Louisiana Republican Rep. Steve Scalise, the committee chairman.

Scalise also said the group wants an alternative that lowers health care costs and increases access and is going to push for a full House vote, which would call for a full repeal of ObamaCare that Republicans have opposed from the start.

House Speaker John Boehner said on Wednesday that chamber Republicans will pass a budget bill this week that withholds funding for ObamaCare.

The effort stands little chance in the Democratic-controlled Senate, setting up a showdown that could push the government toward a partial shutdown at the end of the month. Funding to operate the federal government runs out at the end of September.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said the House will also push to delay the health care law for a year as part of a plan to extend the government’s ability to borrow. He said debt ceiling talks will include a path forward on tax reform and approval of the Keystone XL pipeline.

Rep. Phil Roe, R-Tenn., who led a small group that drafted the study committee measure, said the tax deduction would ensure that individuals and families enjoy “the same buying power” as employers who are permitted to deduct the cost of coverage they provide to their workers.

He also said the commitment of $25 billion over 10 years to defray the cost of coverage for high-risk patients would ease a problem caused when funding provided under Obama’s plan ran out. Premiums in the high-risk pools would be capped at twice the average cost of insurance sold in the state.

Individuals with pre-existing conditions who already have coverage would generally be permitted to shift existing insurance without fear of losing it.

The legislation also includes expanded access to health savings accounts, which are tax-preferred accounts used to pay medical expenses by consumers enrolled in high-deductible coverage plans.

The RSC legislation includes a number of proposals that Republicans long have backed to expand access and hold down the cost of health care, including features that permit companies to sell policies across state lines and that let small businesses join together to seek better rates from insurers.

In addition, awards for pain and suffering, emotional distress and similar noneconomic damages in medical malpractice cases would be capped at $250,000, unless a state had a higher cap.

No overall cost estimates for the bill were available.

The legislation contains no provision to assure insurance coverage for millions of lower-income Americans who are scheduled under current law to be enrolled in Medicaid, a state-federal health care program for the poor.

Nor are there replacements for several of the requirements the current law imposes on insurance companies, including one that requires them to retain children up to the age of 26 on their parents’ coverage plan and another barring lifetime limits on coverage.

Internal divisions have plagued Republicans this year as they struggle to produce alternatives to the Obama plan. Legislation backed by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., to increase funding for high-risk pools was pulled without a vote after some conservatives objected to improving ObamaCare at a time when they want to repeal it.

Obama and Democrats frequently criticize Republicans for focusing so much attention on repeal efforts without coming up with an alternative.

Obama’s HHS: Now Hiring for the Obamacare Police Force

In the wake of Jeff Duncan’s reporting of IRS agents being trained with AR-15s, I think we should be at least somewhat concerned with a breaking news story about the new “ObamaCare” Police. It would seem that the IRS implementation will not be the only strong arm of ObamaCare but that Health and Human Services will have a substantial number of investigative storm troopers as well.

The Daily Mail reports:

More than 1,600 new employees hired by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources in the aftermath of Obamacare’s passage include just two described as ‘consumer safety’ officers, but 86 tasked with ‘criminal investigating’ –indicating that the agency is building an army of detectives to sleuth out violations of a law that many in Congress who supported it still find confusing.

 On the day President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law in 2010, HHS received authority from the Office of Personnel Management(OPM) to make as many as 1,814 new hires under an emergency ‘Direct Hiring Authority’ order.

We are going to need more hollow point bullets it would seem. Is anyone really shocked by the fact that we have a brand new enforcement branch of HHS? I doubt it. This seems to be the norm in Washington these days. Last week we featured the story of a retired Marine Colonel who claims that a domestic army is being built. And who could blame anyone for thinking that? It is happening right in front of us.

The Daily Mail article goes on to say:

The fleet of 86 new criminal investigators are earning a range of compensation between $51,800 and $89,350, according to the 2010 salary tables and differential payment guidelines.

Judicial Watch, a nonprofit that has told MailOnline it files ‘hundreds’ of FOIA requests, first published evidence in July of the HHS hiring binge.

‘Sounds like we now have the Obamacare police,’ said the group’s president, Tom Fitton, after MailOnline showed him the new data.

So is someone going to come and bust my door down if I am too poor to provide health insurance for my family?

Associated Press Admits Obamacare Is Killing The “Recovery”

 This story at Yahoo! Finance reads like something from the alternative media. Meet Teresa Hartnett:

 

“Hartnett was getting enough steady business that she was ready to take on 60 employees. ‘I was particularly excited about offering benefits,’ she says. That enthusiasm died when Hartnett met with her accountant to be sure she could afford the expansion. Hartnett was faced with the prospect that, once she had 50 workers, she’d be subject to the ACA. She considered expanding her company with part-timers who wouldn’t be covered under the law, or keeping her staff below 50. But none of those options would help her meet the goals she set for her business. ‘I couldn’t even figure out what health care I could offer without it being a problem,’ says Hartnett, whose company is based in Alexandria, Va. Her solution was to stay a very small business, with just a handful of freelancers. She’s turning down offers of business. ‘I’m going to ratchet it down for a while,’ she says.”

 

This is one of several stories about how businesses are trying to survive Obamacare. Some of thinking they might be able to survive if they trim bonuses. Others are cutting services and letting some employees go. A restaurant owner is considering terminating his delivery service. Others are hoping they can raise prices to meet the new expenses. In this economy, I don’t think that will work. Consider: even Wal-Mart can’t keep profits up:

 

“The chain on Thursday cut its annual profit and revenue outlook for the year after reporting second-quarter results that missed Wall Street estimates. The company’s stock fell nearly 3 percent on the news. Wal-Mart’s sober assessment adds to worries about consumer spending that arose when Macy’s Inc. lowered its profit expectations for the year after reporting disappointing results on Thursday and Kohl’s Corp. did the same on the following day even after posting solid results. But Wal-Mart’s results are even more troubling because it is considered an economic bellwether, with the company accounting for nearly 10 percent of nonautomotive retail spending in the U.S. Wal-Mart’s latest performance appears to show that many people continue to struggle in the U.S. and abroad.”

 

So good luck raising prices!

 

The AP story does not simply give anecdotes. These are not isolated cases:

 

“A survey of owners taken last month by the advocacy group National Small Business Association found that 20 percent have held off on implementing a growth strategy because of rising health care costs. Thirty-six percent said they had refrained from raising salaries and 26 percent have held back on hiring.”

 

And yet Obama is demanding a “grand bargain” from Congress that allows him to perpetrate on the United States more “stimulus.” The president wants to drive us further into debt to mask the damage wreaked on the economy by the President’s health care law.

 

Will AP do a follow up story as small businesses go bankrupt? How much honesty does AP allow itself?

 

Time will tell. But anyone who can think and see at all should know that Obamacare, far from being a breath of oxygen to a suffocating economy, is functioning as a chokehold.

Obamacare Threatens Charitable Hospitals

It’s a good thing our current administration wasn’t around in the 4th century when St. Basil of Caesarea invented what writer George Grant calls “the first non-ambulatory hospital” in history, i.e., a medical facility with beds.

Pouring forth the love of Jesus Christ, the good saint who lived in the Mediterranean port city northwest of Jerusalem is credited with this humanitarian development of the institution of the hospital. Roberto Margotta, author of “The Story of Medicine,” says of Basil’s hospital, that the “rule of love” prevailed, with the “care and comfort of the sick.”

The longest lasting hospital that still operates (no pun intended) is Hotel Dieu (i.e., God Hospital) in Paris founded in the year of our Lord 600. It borders Notre Dame Cathedral.

In the New World, the oldest, still-operating medical facility is Jesus of Nazareth Hospital in Mexico City, founded in 1524. In many other places and times, Christians of various stripes started all sorts of hospitals and health clinics. That’s true across the globe. Even to this day, many hospitals show their Christian origin in their very name. Good Samaritan. Holy Cross. Christ. Baptist. Bethesda. St. Mary’s.

Some hospitals are named after St. Luke (e.g., St. Luke Presbyterian, Rush St. Luke) because the author of the third Gospel and Acts was a doctor. He was even Paul’s doctor.

Many people of good will, regardless of their religious convictions (or the lack thereof), are involved in the healing of the sick. Christian charity (that is, voluntary love for the Lord and for others) was what historically motivated so many of the great developments in organized health care in the first place, and that remains true to some degree today.

It’s disturbing, then, to learn that the government’s takeover of the health care system will likely punish charity hospitals in the future. In short, Obamacare could be bad for our health.

A headline in “The Daily Caller” notes, “Obamacare installs new scrutiny, fines for charitable hospitals that treat uninsured people” (8/8/13). Patrick Hawley reports: “Charitable hospitals that treat uninsured Americans will be subjected to new levels of scrutiny of their nonprofit status and could face sizable new fines under Obamacare.”

The fines could be as stiff as $50,000 “if they fail to meet bureaucrats’ standards,” he writes.

Hawley adds, “A new provision in Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code, which takes effect under Obamacare, sets new standards of review and installs new financial penalties for tax-exempt charitable hospitals, which devote a minimum amount of their expenses to treat uninsured poor people. Approximately 60 percent of American hospitals are currently nonprofit.”

I thought Obamacare was supposedly about providing health care for the poor and uninsured. It seems to me this is more about government control than it is about helping people.

Dr. David Stevens is the president of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, located in Bristol, Tennessee. They represent about 16,500 members and are in contact regularly with over 30,000 physicians and dentists. I’ve interviewed him a few times for radio and TV.

He once told me, “All three of my children work with a health care ministry in inner-city Memphis. They’re motivated by their faith, and they sacrifice every day, not only at their work place; but they live [there], right with the people that they serve because of their faith.”

But enter Obamacare with its stifling regulations in the health care field, and such good works could be ultimately discouraged to satisfy the bureaucracy.

Dr. Stevens observes: “…if ever we needed Christians in health care, it’s now; but unfortunately, we’re putting a system into place that ultimately could drive them out of health care.” For example, if laws forced them to violate their conscience.

He laments, “That’s scary, especially as we look at the bioethical issues we’re facing on physician-assisted suicide, embryonic stem cell research, abortion, and the list just goes on and on—where having a doctor that shares your Christian worldview is going to become more and more important in beginning-of-life care and in end-of-life care.”

Stevens adds, “We need health care reform, but we need to attack the real problem—out-of- control costs—not open the doors for millions and millions of more people at this point to enter the system and increase costs even more. We need to deal with access, but if we can get costs under control, it’s going to be cheaper for everyone, the insured now and those that can be insured when the cost is lower.”

Driving conscientious Christians out of health care is the worst thing that could happen to that field, yet it seems that Obamacare regulations could end up doing just that. Ironically, at the same time many are losing their jobs because of Obamacare and may need charitable health care.

I remember in the comedy record, “The First Family” in the early 1960s, where comedian Vaughn Meader did a masterful job imitating JFK. At a mock press conference, a reporter asks “JFK” what his solution would be to the coming social security crisis. Meader’s reply as JFK was, “Try to stay young.” Applying the same humorous logic to today: What’s the solution to health care crisis, should Obamacare go fully into effect? “Don’t get sick.”

Sadly, more government bureaucracy in the health care field may ultimately drive out that spirit which gave birth to much of it in the first place.

Let’s go over again how insurance premiums are calculated and where claims are paid from;

  • Premiums are calculated by adding the cost of doing business/administration; plus actuarial claims average for that Zip Code, plus the amount of money necessary to invest to cover the claims amount.
  • That last figure is important because no insurance company can take in a dollar of premium and pay out a dollar of claim. That is bankruptcy. Claims are paid from the return-on-investment (ROI)  that was invested in the market. If the market is bad or down, so is the ROI, making the insurance company having to raise premiums to cover the loss. Unless the assets are high, the insurance company is always on the brink of bankruptcy. When you look at any insurance company, regardless of what they are insuring, the higher their assets means greater comfort for the buyer because those high assets means they have the ability to pay the claim, even in a disastrous situation.
  • It takes 6 months to a year of investment in order to afford paying claims.
  • As claims exceed return-on-investments rates, premiums have to be increased to cover the loss.
  • When an insurance company buys claims (i.e., covering preexisting conditions), they are starting in a loss on their ROI. In order to accommodate such demands, services have to be adjusted, reduced, eliminated or restricted, amounts paid to medical professionals have to be reduced, and premiums increased to help recover losses to ROI. Sometimes the insurance company have to purge certain claimants in to cover some of the loss of ROI. You heard of people being dropped by their insurer because of claims. Now you why.

With Obamacare starting off in the red on its ROI, increased cost is the only answer.

 

Obamacare Provision: “Forced” Home Inspections

“Clearly, any family may be visited by federally paid agents for almost any reason.”

According to an Obamacare provision millions of Americans will be targeted.

The Health and Human Services’ website states that your family will be targeted if you fall under the “high-risk” categories below:

Families where mom is not yet 21.

Families where someone is a tobacco user.

Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities.

Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States.

There is no reference to Medicaid being the determinant for a family to be “eligible.”

In 2011, the HHS announced $224 million will be given to support evidence-based home visiting programs to “help parents and children.” Individuals from the state will implement these leveraging strategies to “enhance program sustainability.”

Constitutional attorney and author Kent Masterson Brown states,

“This is not a “voluntary” program. The eligible entity receiving the grant for performing the home visits is to identify the individuals to be visited and intervene so as to meet the improvement benchmarks. A homeschooling family, for instance, may be subject to “intervention” in “school readiness” and “social-emotional developmental indicators.” A farm family may be subject to “intervention” in order to “prevent child injuries.” The sky is the limit.

Although the Obama administration would claim the provision applies only to Medicaid families, the new statute, by its own definition, has no such limitation. Intervention may be with any family for any reason. It may also result in the child or children being required to go to certain schools or taking certain medications and vaccines and even having more limited –or no –interaction with parents. The federal government will now set the standards for raising children and will enforce them by home visits.”

Part of the program will require massive data collecting of private information including all sources of income and the amount gathered from each source.

A manual called Child Neglect: A Guide for Prevention, Assessment, and Intervention includes firearms as potential safety hazard  and will require inspectors to verify safety compliance and record each inspection into a database.

Last session South Carolina Rep. Bill Chumley introduced a bill, H.3101 that would nullify certain provisions of Obamacare. The bill would give the state attorney general the authority to authorize law enforcement to arrest federal agents for trespassing. It would make forced home inspections under Obamacare illegal in South Carolina. It passed in the House but died in the senate.

A Real Life Example


I was in my neighborhood restaurant this morning and was seated behind a group of jubilant individuals celebrating the coming implementation of the health care bill. I could not finish my breakfast. This is what ensued: They were a diverse group of several races and both sexes. I heard a young man exclaim, “Isn’t Obama like Jesus Christ? I mean, after all, he is healing the sick.”

A young woman enthusiastically proclaimed, “Yeah, and he does it for free. I cannot believe anyone would think that a free market wouldn’t work for health care.”

Another said, “The stupid Republicans want us all to starve to death so  they can inherit all of the power. Obama should be made a Saint for what he did for those of us less fortunate.”

At this, I had more than enough. I arose from my seat, mustering all the restraint I could find, and approached their table. “Please excuse me; may I impose upon you for one moment?”

They smiled and welcomed me to the conversation. I stood at the end of their table, smiled as best I could and began an experiment.

“I would like to give one of you my house. It will cost you no money and I will pay all of the expenses and taxes for as long as you live there. Anyone interested?”

They looked at each other in astonishment. “Why would you do something like that?” asked a young man, “There isn’t anything for free in this world.” They began to laugh at me, as they did not realize this man had just made my point.

“I am serious, I will give you my house for free, no money whatsoever. Anyone interested?”

In unison, a resounding “Yeah” fills the room.

“Since there are too many of you, I will have to make a choice as to who receives this money-free bargain.”

I noticed an elderly couple was paying attention to the spectacle unfolding before their eyes, the old man shaking his head in apparent disgust.

“I tell you what; I will give it to the one of you most willing to obey my rules.”

Again, they looked at one another, an expression of bewilderment on their faces.

The perky young woman asked, “What are the rules?”

I smiled and said, “I don’t know. I have not yet defined them. However, it is a free home that I offer you.”

They giggled amongst themselves, the youngest of  which said, “What an old coot. He must be crazy to give away his home. Go take your meds, old man.”

I smiled and leaned into the table a bit further. “I am serious, this is a legitimate offer.”

They gaped at me for a moment.

“I’ll take it you old fool. Where are the keys?” boasted the youngest among them.

“Then I presume you accept ALL of my terms then?” I asked.

The elderly couple seemed amused and entertained as they watched from the privacy of their table. “Oh yeah! Where do I sign up?”

I took a napkin and wrote, “I give this man my home, without the burden of financial obligation, so long as he accepts and abides by the terms that I shall set forth upon consummation of this transaction.”

I signed it and handed it to the young man who eagerly scratched out his signature.

“Where are the keys to my new house?” he asked in a mocking tone of voice.

All eyes were upon us as I stepped back from the table, pulling the keys from pocket and dangling them before the excited new homeowner.

“Now that we have entered into this binding contract, witnessed by all of your friends, I have decided upon the conditions you are obligated to adhere to from this point forward. You may only live in the house for one hour a day. You will not use anything inside of the home. You will obey me without question or resistance. I expect complete loyalty and admiration for this gift I bestow upon you. You will accept my commands and wishes with enthusiasm, no matter the nature. Your morals and principles shall be as mine. You will vote as I do, think as I do and do it with blind faith. These are my terms. Here are your keys.” I reached the keys forward and the young man looked at me dumbfounded.

“Are you out of your mind? Who would ever agree to those ridiculous terms?” the young man appeared irritated.

“You did when you signed this contract before reading it, understanding it and with the full knowledge that I would provide my conditions only after you committed to the agreement.”

The elderly man chuckled as his wife tried to restrain him. I was looking at a now silenced and bewildered group of people.

“You can shove that stupid deal up your a** old man. I want no part of it!” exclaimed the now infuriated young man.

‘You have committed to the contract, as witnessed by all of your friends. You cannot get out of the deal unless I agree to it. I do not intend to let you free now that I have you ensnared. I am the power you agreed to. I am the one you blindly and without thought chose to enslave yourself to. In short, I am your Master.”

At this, the table of celebrating individuals became a unified group against the unfairness of the deal.

After a few moments of unrepeatable comments and slurs, I revealed my true intent.

“What I did to you is what this administration and congress did to you with the health care legislation. I easily suckered you in and then revealed the real cost of the bargain. Your folly was in the belief that you can have something you did not earn, and for that which you did not earn, you willingly allowed someone else to think for you. Your failure to research, study and inform yourself permitted reason to escape you. You have entered into a trap from which you cannot flee. Your only chance of freedom is if your new Master gives it to you. A freedom that is given can also be taken away. Therefore, it is not freedom at all.”

With that, I tore up the napkin and placed it before the astonished young man. “This is the nature of your new health care legislation.”

I turned away to leave these few in thought and contemplation — and was surprised by applause.

The elderly gentleman, who was clearly entertained, shook my hand enthusiastically and said, “Thank you, Sir. These kids don’t understand Liberty.”

He refused to allow me to pay my bill as he said, “You earned this one. It is an honor to pick up the tab.”

I shook his hand in thanks, leaving the restaurant somewhat humbled and sensing a glimmer of hope for my beloved country.
