With some hard work, pluck, the right boyfriend, and a bit of genetic luck, Kamala Harris has found her way onto the presidential ballot without having to secure a single primary vote. Don’t tell me the American Dream is dead.

Sure, Harris is a demagogue who speaks in cringy, swirling, impenetrable platitudes. And sure, according to Joe Biden, Kamala was an identity hire. But “Morning Joe” says we’re not supposed to talk about any of that. So, let’s discuss her record and stated positions.

It seems like a lifetime ago that Biden named Harris his running mate. What you may not recall is that the media tried to gaslight us into believing the California senator was another apolitical dealmaker.

Former Clinton fixer George Stephanopoulos said Harris was “the middle-of-the-road, moderate wing of the Democratic Party.” The New York Times called her a “pragmatic moderate,” while the Associated Press focused on her “centrist record.” And so on.

A “small c conservative,” one Washington Post columnist wrote. The only problem was, according to GovTrack, Harris’ record in the Senate was to the left of red-diaper baby Bernie Sanders. She was least likely of any senator to join in any bipartisan bills.

That’s fine. Bipartisan bills are the pits. Harris wasn’t handed a Senate seat by her former beau and California political kingpin Willie Brown to waste her time legislating with a bunch of pinheads. She was there to run for the presidency. In her truncated first term, few excelled more at smearing their political opponents. Remember when Harris moderately accused Brett Kavanaugh of gang rape?

This false perception of moderation stems from Harris’ time as prosecutor and AG. Harris liked to brag about using “a huge stick” as a prosecutor in San Francisco, where she regularly threatened poor parents with jail time in her efforts to craft social policy — which wasn’t her job. It’s true that Harris threw a lot of people in jail to bolster her political fortunes. Some of them likely innocent. And judging from her disposition, she would throw a lot of more people into jail, if she could.

When pro-life journalist David Daleiden published videos of Planned Parenthood executives nonchalantly discussing the selling of body parts, Harris had his home raided, seized evidence, and then tried to throw him in prison. She later teamed up with the abortion mill to write legislation that would squash the free speech rights of other pro-lifers.

Like any good authoritarian, Harris enforces whatever laws she sees fit to enforce whenever she sees fit. One of the reasons Kamala allegedly opposed the nomination of Neil Gorsuch was that the judge “consistently valued legalisms” — which is to say, respected the Constitution — “over real lives.”

Kamala was never one for legalism. When candidate Biden argued that Harris’ promise to issue an executive order unilaterally banning access to certain guns would be unconstitutional, she retorted: “I would just say: Hey, Joe, instead of saying ‘No we can’t,’ let’s say yes, we can,’” before cackling at the very notion that presidents couldn’t do whatever they wanted.

As a national candidate, Kamala said she believed immigration laws should be treated as civil, rather than criminal, offenses. So, of course, Biden gave Kamala the job of border czar — she did not perform admirably, to say the least — where she noted that one of the “root causes” of the problem was a “lack of climate resilience,” before sending corrupt regimes hundreds of millions of dollars.

As a candidate, Harris supported abolishing private health insurance — “Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on,” she told CNN. In addition to nationalizing health care and education, Kamala wants the government to control the manufacturing sector, the auto industry, food … and any industry that emits carbon.

Harris was in favor of getting rid of the filibuster to overturn state voting laws, nationalizing abortion on demand until birth, and passing the Green New Deal — an authoritarian takeover of the economy written by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which would not only ban all fossil fuels force Americans to retrofit every building in in the country, eliminate air travel and meat, create government-guaranteed jobs, among many other authoritarian measures.

Perhaps the only thing that grosses out the vice president more than individual rights are practicing Catholics.

Kamala is the kind of person who will raise money to bail out race rioters out of prison but try to stop orthodox Catholics from serving on the bench. “Are you or have you ever been a member of the Knights of Columbus?” is basically what Kamala asked Brian Buescher, a Trump judicial nominee.

It wasn’t a big jump for a senator who treats charitable Christian organizations as fifth columnists to co-sponsor of the “Equality Act,” which would have compelled religious hospitals to perform gender transition surgeries and shut down religious foster care organizations, among other things.

On foreign policy, we don’t really know, though we can guess. This week, Harris wouldn’t even greet Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of the only liberal democracy in the Middle East. She reportedly won’t sit behind him during his speech to Congress. A few weeks ago, the same Kamala said antisemitic pro-Hamas campus protesters showed “exactly what the human emotion should be.” In the past she has openly protested with Islamic Republic propagandists from the National Iranian American Council. To be fair, in some ways her disposition comports more with the latter than the former.

When I say Harris is an authoritarian, I’m not contending she’s Hitler. I am saying she is a fan of obedience to authority, especially of Democrat-run government, at the expense of personal freedom in ways that are deeply un-American. That’s a bad trend in politics, in general, but it’s difficult to think of many politicians more wedded to the idea than Kamala Harris.

Hillary Clinton takes shot at Trump, GOP over Russia — and even invokes treason clause in Constitution

Hillary Clinton just cannot resist.

The twice-failed presidential candidate made reference to the Constitution’s treason clause on Friday while implicitly condemning former President Donald Trump and parts of the Republican Party that she alleged have emboldened Russia’s aggression.

During a radio interview this week, Trump described Russian President Vladimir Putin as “very savvy.” He also described Putin’s decision to declare the independence of two Ukrainian regions as “genius.” And regarding the “peacekeepers” — which were Russian soldiers — that Putin sent into those eastern Ukrainian regions, Trump said, “we could use that on our southern border.” Meanwhile, Russian-state media have reportedly used comments from former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Fox News host Tucker Carlson for their propaganda purposes.

Speaking on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Clinton referred to Trump’s comments and said that any American who parrots talking points worthy of being broadcast by Russian propaganda outlets must be called out.

“We have to also make sure that within our own country we are calling out those people who are giving aid and comfort to Vladimir Putin, who are talking about what a genius he is, what a smart move it is, who are unfortunately being broadcast by Russian media, not only inside Russia, but in Europe to demonstrate the division within our own country,” Clinton said.

Clinton’s comments implicitly invoked the Constitution’s “treason clause,” which is found in Article III, Section 3:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.

Later in the interview, Clinton described rhetoric from Trump and other Republican figureheads as “heartbreaking” and “dangerous,” and she repeated the accusation that they are giving “aid and comfort” to Putin.

“I think it’s time for what’s left of the Republican Party that has any common sense not just to say, ‘OK, go help defend Ukraine against Putin,’ but to stand against those people in politics and government, in the media and elsewhere in our own country who are literally giving aid and comfort to an enemy of freedom and democracy,” Clinton said.

Such rhetoric, Clinton claimed, emboldens not only Putin, but also Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“It can’t continue because it plays right into the ambitions of not just Putin, but also President Xi of China to undermine democracy, to literally divide and conquer the West without ever invading us, but by setting us against each other,” Clinton said.

Clinton attributed the development of the problem that she identified as happening because “starting with ascent of Trump, there has been, sadly, a total loss of spine and conscience of too many Republicans.”

“There is also another element. These people are naive in such a dangerous way,” Clinton continued. “I think the naiveté that we saw starting with Trump, but which has now been accelerated, is really hard to understand. But we have to deal with it, and we have to call it out.”

Morning Joe: The Media’s Job Is Thought Control; Trump Is Trespassing on Our Turf [VIDEO]

thought control

Joe Scarborough’s co-host accused Donald Trump of undermining the media and implementing thought control —”That’s Our Job.”

In case you thought they didn’t know what they were doing, here’s Mika Brzezinski forthrightly stating on Morning Joe that the problem with Donald Trump attacking the media is that he is doing thought control, which is “our job.”

Here’s as transcript of the exchange, from grabien:

Joe Scarborough: “Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters. They go, ‘Yeah you guys are going crazy. He’s doing — what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.’”

Mika Brzezinski: “Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job.”picture7

engineeringBrzezinski thinks it is the media’s job to “actually control exactly what people think” and doesn’t even hide it!Mantra

According to grabien, “The comment failed to raise any eyebrows from her co-panelists.” Joe Scarborough also mentioned Donald Trump calling the media “the enemy of the people,” and claimed that using the phrase made him sound “like Mussolini or Lenin” and ” like a dictator in training.”

But by not objecting to Brzezinski’s claim that the media’s job is thought control, he has proven to anyone listening to his show that he, and the rest of the media, is indeed the enemy of the people! I think, for most Americans, an institution that believes it alone has the right to control people’s thoughts is, by definition, an enemy of the people. They want to enslave us and consider it their right to do so. And, if Donald Trump is doing “our job” by controlling thoughts, then he is also doing the media’s job by becoming a dictator. The media believes that the main problem with a dictator is that he usurps the media’s role in society to engage in though control.enemedia

Nothing is uglier than the media’s sense of entitlement. Media privilege is on display.

When this arrogance is taken seriously, it is impossible not to feel grateful for Donald Trump even if you disagree with him. The media monopoly has been broken by him! He has thus increased freedom of thought in America simply by offering an alternative account.

It seems to me that the media spends a lot more time accusing Donald Trump of violating media prerogatives rather than producing an argument that shows why he is wrong. They seem more concerned with the fact Donald Trump dares to disagree with them more than with the substance of what he says. As a result, they make Trump look like a hero—a champion for freedom of thought against the media monolith. They are effectively campaigning for Trump’s reelection.

OUCH! Hillary Campaign Manager Robby Mook DESTROYED On Morning Joe

OUCH! Hillary Campaign Manager Robby Mook DESTROYED On Morning Joe

“We love you, buddy, but what are you here for, if you can’t answer basic questions?”

Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook, was destroyed on Morning Joe Wednesday morning because he tried to tap-dance around the most basic questions about his candidate’s stands on issues. Things started to go downhill about two and a half minutes into the interview when Willie Geist asked Mook if Clinton had regrets about the way Syria was handled. Completely ignoring the question, Mook’s response was that Hillary left the State Dept. with a 70% approval rating.

GEIST: What’s her biggest regret about the way Syria’s been handled?

MOOK: Well, obviously, she’s been out of office for some time now.

GEIST: But she was there when it started.

MOOK: Well, right, but, but, uh, you know, she, I, I think she’s well regarded for her leadership as secretary of state. She came out of that office with a 70 percent approval rating. In contrast to Donald Trump, she has released a clear and decisive plan to defeat ISIS. Donald Trump has said that he thinks he knows more about it than the generals and refuses to tell us what his secret plan is.

GEIST: I understand, Robby. What about in Syria, though? She supported the drawing of the red line. Obviously, she was out of office when Assad used chemical weapons. Was it a mistake to draw the red line if the president was not willing to go — to do something about it when it was crossed?

MOOK: Well, as you pointed out, the decision regarding that was made after she was out of office, so I think you’d have to ask President Obama —

GEIST: Was she disappointed that the president didn’t act when the line was crossed?

MOOK: I think you’d have to ask her about that question, how she would characterize —

GEIST: Well, you’re here to speak for her, Robby, so you haven’t discussed that at all?

MOOK: She — look, what matters is what she’s going to do as president and, as I said, she has a clear plan to wasdefeat ISIS. Donald Trump does not. It’s a secret; he won’t tell anybody what it is, and he says he knows more about it than the generals. I think the choice for voters is clear.

Geist’s question was pretty open ended, he didn’t have to answer by ripping Obama, could have said he regretted the Russian bombing.  But he began to rile up the panel by avoiding the question.

Them it was Mike Barnicle’s turn, he asked a question that might very well come up during the Hofstra debate.

BARNICLE: So, Robby, we do realize you are not secretary of state, but in the debate next Monday evening, how would Secretary Clinton respond to somewhat of a version of the following question: We’ve had a relief convoy bombed — potentially a war crime — leading into Aleppo. What would you do, Secretary Clinton, about providing food, water and medicine to the citizens of Eastern Aleppo today, right now, differently than what the Obama administration is doing? What would she do differently?

MOOK: I, I, again, I think you’re going to have to ask her that question. That’s a matter of policy I’m going to leave it to her to determine that.

Now Mook had just finished blasting Trump for not having a plan, but he couldn’t recite a Clinton plan? Joe Scarborough chimed in and he was not happy. He compared Mook’s answer to Gary Johnson’s Aleppo gaffe

SCARBOROUGH: What are you here, what are you — we love you, buddy, but what are you here for, if you can’t answer basic questions? That, I mean, I don’t know if there’s — I mean, we may be tiptoeing into Gary Johnson territory here, if you don’t know the answer to that basic of a question — “What is the response to Aleppo?” — then why do we have you here?

MOOK: I think, I — look, you’re asking new policy questions. You would have to ask the secretary for that. My job is not to set policy.

SCARBOROUGH: No, Aleppo’s been around — Syria’s been around for some time. The red line being drawn has been around for some time. I’m not being difficult here at all. These are basic questions.

Robby Mook’s final tap dance was the most incredible. Later on in the interview, Willie Geist gave him a soft ball. He asked about no-fly zones, an approach that has previously had Hillary Clinton support.

GEIST: One aspect of the Syria policy for Secretary Clinton we do know is she has supported no-fly zones in the country. Is that still her belief, that no-fly zones are a good idea?

MOOK: I’m gonna, I’m gonna let her statements speak for themselves.

GEIST: Robby, Robby, aren’t you here representing her point of view?

MOOK: I am indeed, and I’m going to let her language speak for itself.

GEIST: Well, you’ve been saying that Donald Trump won’t tell us what the policy is, but here you are not telling us what the policy is.

After the interview was over a stunned Joe Scarborough said:

“What’s going on? I mean, like, even — I don’t understand that. I am completely flummoxed by that interview. I mean, first of all, are they pleased with the openness with the press? I had heard after the pneumonia deal they all were chastened, and they were changing their relationship and trying to be more open with the press. Won’t even respond to Aleppo, won’t respond to the no-fly zone. What’s going on here? Better not to come on.”

Heck next time have me on, I will tell him what the answers should have been.

Rick Perry: ‘We Have a Spiritual Crisis If You’re Looking for Government to Be Your Savior’

(CNSNews.com) – GOP presidential candidate and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry in an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” said Friday that “if people are looking for government to be their savior, they’re looking in the wrong place.”

When asked if there was a spiritual crisis in the country now, Perry said, “I can only speak for myself, and I know where my hope for the future is, is in my Lord and savior. Everybody else is going to find that place for them too.”

“If people are looking for government to be their savior, they’re looking at the wrong place. The things we have in this country, they were given to us by God, not by government,” he said.

And now if you call a spiritual crisis relying on government as a crisis, I will suggest to you we have a spiritual crisis if you’re looking for government to be your savior,” Perry added.Leftist Religion of Nature Worship

Perry, who ran for president four years ago, admitted that he wasn’t prepared during his first presidential run. He admitted that he had to recast himself in part because of the gaffe he made when he failed to name the third government agency he would eliminate if he were president during a GOP presidential debate in Rochester, Mich., in 2011.

“Anyone who’s done this more than once is recasting themselves,” Perry told “Morning Joe.”

“We’ve spent a lot of time and preparation for this moment. I knew that if I was going to be a legitimate candidate, give myself an opportunity to be successful, I had to spend substantial time and preparation on monetary policy, domestic policy, on foreign policy. We’ve done that,” he said.freedom combo 2

Clinton Defender Howard Dean Loses Morning Joe

Howard Dean MSNBC

Wow. First David Brock and now Howard Dean. Is there something in the water at MSNBC?

Dean is the former chair of the DNC, a role now filled by our favorite Democrat Debbie Wasserman Schultz. As a long time party loyalist, Dean appeared on Morning Joe yesterday and attempted to downplay new scandalous revelations regarding the Clintons.

Hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough could barely contain their skepticism.

David Rutz of the Washington Free Beacon:

Mika Tires of Howard Dean’s ‘Jihad’ for Clintons: ‘The Facts Are The Facts’

The New York Times reported Thursday that the Clinton Global Initiative accepted millions of dollars from a Russian oil company when the State Department, then headed by Hillary Clinton, was approving a deal that would give Russians control of the company Uranium One and bring Vladimir Putin “closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.” The charges are part of Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash.

Dean, rather than directly address the Clintons’ latest problem, went after Schweizer for taking money from “billionaires” who “support Ted Cruz,” essentially arguing that anything his book revealed should be dismissed because of his conservative political leanings.

Yet, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough pointed out outlets such as the New York Times and others were doing legitimate reporting off the accusations in Schweizer’s work.

“So forget the author at this point,” Brzezinski said. “If the facts are true, we need to pursue that. You can go on your little jihad against the author, but it’s not going to change the facts. The facts are the facts.”Liberalism a mental disorder 2

Dean also recently lashed out at a New York Times reporter on this subject, calling the Times sloppy.

Evan McMurry of Mediaite:

NY Times Reporter Snaps at Howard Dean for Calling Paper ‘Sloppy’

New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters wasn’t taking guff from former DNC chair Howard Dean on Morning Joe Thursday morning.

Dean was there to defend Hillary Clinton against charges leveled in a new book and reported out by the Times that the Clinton Global Initiative took undisclosed funds from a Russian oil company as that company was securing State Department approval for deals in the U.S. The article is part of access deals secured by the Times and others to Peter Schweizer’s Clinton Cash. Clinton surrogates have spent the past few days criticizing Schweizer as a conservative ideologue funded by right-wing Clinton opponents.

“In general New York Times has been sloppy,” Dean said. “Particularly their political writers. I use the Times as an example in journalism classes, because by the fifth paragraph in any political story…they’re substituting their judgment for news.”

Pass the popcorn, please.
