Dear CNN: Illegal Immigrant Kills Cop On Christmas Day – Is That ‘News?’

Written by Wes Walker on December 28, 2018

A legal immigrant spent Christmas day apart from his wife and kid, to serve and protect… only to be gunned down by an illegal immigrant.

Does anything explain where Left and Right divide on the issue of immigration in starker terms than this sad tale?

Newman’s police chief broke down in tears while describing what happened to Officer Ronil Singh, who moved here from Fiji lawfully with dreams of being a cop.

Here’s a family photo, taken just hours before his death.

What makes this story all the more tragic was that he was working an overtime shift and responding to a DUI call. Singh was murdered by an illegal immigrant who fled the scene. Singh radioed for help and returned fire, but help arrived too late.

Governor Jerry Brown issued a statement after the shooting.

“On behalf of all Californians, Anne (Brown’s wife) and I extend our condolences to Corp. Singh’s wife, young son, loved ones and colleagues,” Brown said. “Our hearts are with the entire community of Newman and law enforcement officers across the state who risk their lives every day to protect and serve the people of California.”

Newman is a small city off Interstate 5 north of Los Banos. Singh had been a police officer there since 2011. He was married and the father of a 5-month-old son.

Governor Moonbeam should sit this one out. One of the illegal immigrants he works so VERY hard to advocate for and defend just murdered a LAWFUL immigrant who arrived the way Trump and his supporters want ALL immigrants to come into the country.

Isn’t this story exactly what the government ‘shutdown’ showdown is all about in the first place?

Trump wants everyone coming to America to come through what he metaphorically described as a ‘big very beautiful door’ in that wall. Trump just wants a wall there to keep out the miserable bastards who gun down good cops at traffic stops.

Schumer and Nancy WANT those miserable bastards to come in unopposed. Trump does not.

Is this really so hard to understand?

Does Jesus Believe in Immigration Restrictions? Absolutely

– Bryan Fischer; Host of “Focal Point” Connect FollowMore Articles

We have heard endless bloviation from media types who have spent their entire journalistic careers in open hostility to Christianity suddenly pontificating about how un-Christian it is to build walls and restrict immigration to the United States. Why, we’re told, that’s not something Jesus would do! He himself was a refugee! How can you call yourself a Christian and not believe in letting anybody and everybody in? That’s what Jesus would do!

Now we know that people who think and talk like this are wrong. When Jesus came to Earth, he did not come as a immigrationrefugee. He came as the rightful king, intent on reclaiming what had been stolen from him by the Prince of Darkness. When his parents took him to Egypt as a child, they didn’t go as refugees but as exiles who returned to their homeland as soon as they could. When his parents took him to Bethlehem, they didn’t go as refugees, they went as hard-working taxpayers doing their civic duty.

Biblically we know that there is a legitimate place for walls, for physical barriers designed for protection. God sent Nehemiah to Jerusalem to build one around the city to keep the bad guys out. We know that immigration bans under the right circumstances are appropriate, for God permanently banned immigration from the neighboring nations of Ammon and Moab because of their historic and implacable hostility to Israel.

But we know that building walls and using immigration restrictions are legitimate policies because Jesus will use them in his own kingdom. (I am indebted to my good friend Jeff Reed for this idea, but don’t blame him for anything in what follows that you don’t like. That’s on me.)

The Scriptures tell us that the eternal city of his coming kingdom will be surrounded by “a great high wall with twelve gates” (Revelation 21:12), each guarded by an angel so undocumented intruders cannot enter. Identification papers will be scrutinized carefully before anyone is allowed to enter through one of the great big beautiful doors that are built in this wall that surrounds the city. In John’s vision, “books were opened,” and “if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life” he was not only not admitted but “thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:12; 15). Talk about extreme vetting and deportation.

Only those who “wash their robes” in the shed blood of Christ will be allowed to “enter the city by its gates” (Revelation 22:14). Those who refuse to adopt the values of the eternal city will remain outside its walls. “Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood” (Revelation 22:15). In other words, cultural assimilation will not be optional for someone who desires a place in this coming kingdom.

Immigration controls will be stout, and deportation for those without proper documentation will be enforced. The king will apprehend those who try to sneak in and pass themselves off as citizens when they are not, and say to them, “Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23).

How do would-be immigrants get their names written in this register, this book of life, so that they will be admitted through the gates on that day? How do they get the visa, if you will, that entitles them to enter the kingdom of God?

“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31). All prior allegiances must be renounced, and Jesus must be acknowledged as their new sovereign. They must accept him not just as Savior but as Lord. Once they do, their citizenship is granted, their passport is stamped, and they are welcomed to their new kingdom. This citizenship process is open to anyone in the world, anywhere, at any time.

We have my great-grandfather’s immigration documents hanging on the wall of our living room. In order for him to become a citizen of the United States, it was necessary for him to “renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to all and any foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Czar of Russia, of whom I was a subject.” Then he was required to declare his new allegiance to a new source of ultimate political authority, the Constitution of the United States.

The earthly process of becoming a citizen of the United States is a parable, a reflection, a shadow, of the process of becoming a citizen of the eternal kingdom. Perhaps God even intended it to be just that, and we cloud the picture when we make foolish changes to sound immigration policy. To be sure, it’s a shadow only, since the eternal kingdom is perfect and America is not.

In the kingdom of the age to come, documentation is required, a profession of allegiance is required, the borders are patrolled, and intruders are expelled. If that’s how Christ governs his heavenly kingdom, earthly kingdoms can be governed in the same way.

Does Christ believe in immigration control and border security? Of course. And if he does, it’s okay for the United States to believe in them too.

And the ultimate lesson for readers of this column is this: be sure you have your visa in hand because no one knows when the day of ultimate migration will come.immigration

70% of Americans Say ‘No More Immigration’

Although 51 percent of Americans think immigrants strengthen the country, an overwhelming majority of Americans do not want to see obama-border-is-open-378x257immigration levels increase, according to a new Pew poll. Just 24 percent of those polled said the U.S. should increase the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country, while 70 percent said the level of immigration should decrease or remain the same. Six percent said they didn’t know. (RELATED: Media Ignores Evidence Americans Want To REDUCE Legal Immigration)

The share of those who believe immigrants strengthen the country by their hard work and talents dropped from a high of 57 percent last year to a small majority of 51 percent this year. And the share of those who believe immigrants are a burden on the economy rose from 35 to 41 percent. The declining share of Americans who view immigrants unfavorably holds across party lines, although most Democrats and Independents still believe they strengthen the country.Only Reason

The share of Republicans who believe immigrants strengthen the country dropped sharply from about 45 percent in 2013 to just 27 percent this year. The share of Democrats who view immigrants favorably dropped a few points to 62 percent, and the share of Independents dropped slightly to 57 percent.

Nearly one in five U.S. residents will be an immigrant by 2060, largely because of legal immigration, not illegal immigration, a Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the Census data found. And immigrants will account for 82 percent of population growth in the U.S. from 2010 through 2060.

Study: Mideast Immigrants to US Pose Huge Security Threat

Posted By Todd Beamon, Thursday, 25 Sep 2014

URL of the Original Posting Site: http://www.Newsmax.com/Newsfront/Muslim-immigrants-security-threat/2014/09/24/id/596742/#ixzz3OGjmWZWh

A new study shows that the number of immigrants in the United States jumped 3 percent in three years — to a record 41.3 million in 2013 — and that the nearly 300,000 who came from Muslim countries pose a major national security threat, the report’s co-author told Newsmax on Thursday.

“All of that does raise national security concerns, and I don’t think there has been any consideration of that,” said Steven Camarota, research director for the Center for Immigration Studies. The Washington-based nonprofit organization released the study on Thursday. It is based on an analysis of Census data from 2010 to last year. Camarota conducted the study and co-authored it with CIS demographer Karen Zeigler.

“The primary threat from a group like ISIS to the homeland is through our immigration system,” Camarota said, referring to the Islamic State terrorist group that has beheaded three Westerners in recent weeks.

“No one’s suggesting that they’re going to launch a missile and hit New York, but rather they’re going to board an airliner and blow it up,” he added. “They’re going to park a car in a public place, they’re going to go on a shooting spree, or any one of those things.
Our immigration system is a vital part of national security. Everybody doesn’t seem to recognize that,” Camarota said. “The question is, what are the implications of our rapidly growing Middle Eastern population? The numbers certainly raise it.”

The CIS report shows that the United States was home to a record 41.3 million legal and illegal immigrants last year. That was up nearly 1.4 million from the 39.9 million in 2010, while the number was 31.1 million in 2000.com01
By comparison, the U.S. immigrant population stood at 9.6 million in 1970. About 16 percent of the U.S. population last year was foreign-born, whether in the country legally or illegally, according to the data. That’s about one in eight residents, or one of every six adults.  “Those numbers reflect two basic facts: an extremely high level of legal immigration, a very permissive legal immigration system — and they also reflect a failure to control illegal immigration,” Camarota said.Resist AmnestyM13 Gang Members
“Somewhere between a fourth and a third of those immigrants are here illegally.”

The largest number of immigrants in the United States are Mexicans, with more than 11.5 million living here illegally and legally last year. The number of Mexican immigrants fell by 126,126 — or 1 percent — over the period because of some dying and others leaving the country, Camarota said.

According to the study, the Middle Eastern population grew by 207,758 in the period, or 13 percent, to more than 1.8 million last year. That compared with 1.6 million in 2010 and 1.1 million in 2000. Leading the growth from that region was Saudi Arabia, with 43,878 immigrants — nearly double the number who were in the U.S. in 2010. The analysis shows that 88,894 Saudis lived in this country last year. Iraq was next, with about 41,094 immigrants, for a 26 percent increase to a total of 200, 894. But the total number of immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries totaled 295,743 in the period, according to the CIS study. That was up by 13.5 percent.com02against AmericaObama Muslim collection
The total number of immigrants from primarily Muslim countries in the U.S. was more than 2.4 million last year, compared with 2.1 million in 2010 and 1.5 million in 2000. Camarota attributed the rise in Mideast immigration to myriad U.S. policies, whether they granted asylum or refugee status to people from the region or involved the nation’s defense forces.

“Once there is a presence, the possibility of going to the United States becomes a much more realistic possibility,” he said. “The presence of the United States in a country in a big way, whether it’s Afghanistan or Iraq, tends to spur immigration.” Overall, however, the Middle East is only fourth among regions of the world from where people emigrate to the U.S.

The leader is south Asia, which was up 372,546, or 16 percent, to 2.7 million; east Asia, up 364,909, or 5 percent, to 7.8 million; and the Caribbean, up 223,011, or 6 percent, to more than 3.9 million immigrants. China is No. 1 in east Asia, with 217,305 people coming from that country in the period, or 10 percent, for a total of 2.3 million last year. India is the leader in south Asia, with 254,355, or 14 percent, to more than 2 million. More people came to the U.S. from the Dominican Republic than any other Caribbean country, with 111,859, or 13 percent, to a total of 991,046 last year. From Central America — the nexus of the border crisis that has led to hundreds of thousands of illegals, especially minors traveling alone, crossing the Rio Grande into south Texas in recent months — the number of immigrants jumped by 113,744, or 3.7 percent, over the three years.obama-border-is-open-378x257

The number of immigrants from the region in the U.S. surpassed 3.1 million last year. The biggest number, 71,469, came from Guatemala. That marked an 8.6 percent surge, for a total of 902,293. Next was El Salvador, up 3.1 percent, or 38,018; and then Honduras, up 2.1 percent, or 11,017, to a total of 533,598.

“It just reminds us of how enormous the immigrant population is and what a large share of the population it is,” Camarota told Newsmax.

The data added yet another dimension to the immigration debate as President Barack Obama considers what executive actions he will announce after the November congressional elections.Imperial President ObamaAfter a high-profile Rose Garden ceremony in May in which he vowed to act unilaterally on immigration because of the continued stalemate in Congress, Obama did an about-face earlier this month and said he would postpone any action until after the elections out of fears that his moves could cause Democrats to lose the Senate.

“What he is still considering after the election is not just the legalization of illegal immigrants on his own, but substantial increases in legal immigration on his own,” Camarota said. “He’s going to reinterpret the law that, for the last 20 years, everyone has thought imposed some caps on green cards and other measures. He’s going to say those caps don’t exist, which would make those numbers higher. To accelerate these numbers even further, that’s something there should be a long national debate about,” Camarota continued. “It’s something that’s very hard to argue that the president should just be able to do on his own.”

A senior Republican aide also highlighted the national security concerns posed by the CIS study.

“This report confronts Congress with important national security and community safety questions,” the aide told Newsmax. “We can’t let our immigration system, like that of the U.K.’s, be used as a vehicle for jihadism and growing pockets of radicalism spreading in our own towns.” AMEN

Conservative Activist: Obama-Loving Liberals are Too-Far Gone to Have Rational Discussions

obama-border-is-open-378x257All across America, there remains a divide amongst Americans. Democrats continue to push for amnesty for illegal immigrants, moderate Republicans seek permission to cave to Democrat demands and Tea Partiers and other assorted conservatives who value the rule of law demand a plan to halt illegal immigration- a plan that does not reward those who came here in violation of our laws.

On Thursday, TPNN’s Tim Constantine spoke Dutch Martin of the black conservative group, Project 21, and discussed the debate raging over illegal immigration in America.

Martin is married to an immigrant who immigrated to the United States legally and blasted the Obama Administration and those calling for Immigration-Piperblanket amnesty, saying, “[They’re] spitting on my wife’s naturalization certificate and every other foreign-born naturalized citizen who played by the rules and became legal residents and naturalized American citizens. It’s basically a slap in the face to them.”

Martin explained that his wife was furious when she discovered that Obama hopes to grant amnesty to those who came here illegally. “They should play by the rules like I did,” Martin recalled her saying. Martin noted that his wife, who served as a paralegal and with suburb professional qualifications, had to jump through hoops to immigrate legally as the Obama Administration welcomes in gang members and other nefarious types from Central and South America.

Constantine explained that he was a staunch supporter of legal immigration, but Martin countered that when one tries to explain the distinction, it’s a non-starter for liberals who are guided by zealotry and blind dogma.

“You’re trying to have a rational discussion with liberals. I would rather bang by head up against a brick wall rather than try to have a rational discussion with liberals… because you cannot, I repeat, you cannot reason with them. They are zombies; they are so drunk off [Obama’s} Kool-Aid, it’s repulsive.”Never Argue Group

WAKE UP AMERICA

Eagel FlagMy Grandfather’s generation watched as his friends died in WW I…

My Father’s generation watched as his friends died in WW II and Korea …

I watched as my friends died in Vietnam …

None of them died for the Mexican Flag… Every AMERICAN Patriot died for the U.S. Flag…

In Texas, a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down. Guess who was expelled… The kid who took it down.

Kids in high school in California were sent home this year on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.

Enough is enough.

The following message needs to be viewed by every American. Every Truly Patriotic American needs to stand up for America . We’ve bent over to appease the America-haters long enough.
I’m standing up because the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the U.S. Flag can’t stand up. Shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message. Let me make this perfectly clear!

THIS COUNTRY BELONGS TO THE AMERICAN CITIZENS BORN AND RAISED HERE!

Because I make this statement DOES NOT mean I’m against immigration!!! YOU ARE WELCOMEto come to OUR COUNTRY by coming into here LEGALLY!

Therefore;

  1. Get a sponsor!
  2. Get a place to lay your head!
  3. Get a job! Live By OUR Laws, Culture and Rules!
  4. Pay YOUR Taxes!
  5. Learn the LANGUAGE like immigrants in the past!!!
  6. Don’t demand that we hand over our lifetime savings of Social Security Funds to you.

When will AMERICANS STOP giving away OUR RIGHTS??? We’ve gone so far the other way… We have bent over backwards not to offend anyone, but it seems no one cares about the AMERICAN CITIZEN that’s being offended!

WAKE UP America !!!

Obama is using executive power to affect immigration law

While reading the following blog, please keep one thought in your mind;

Why does the Left hate immigrants that come here legally?

I have had the privilege of knowing many LEGAL immigrants. When you ask them how they feel about ILLEGALS you’ll get an ear full of anger. The LEGAL ones

  • got in line,
  • filed the papers,
  • went through the interview processes,
  • learned our language, and culture,
  • got the physicals and shots, and
  • WAITED until they were allowed to come here.
  • When they arrived they determined to merge into our culture and BECOME A CONTRIBUTING MEMBER OF SOCIETY.
  • They got a LEGAL Social Security Card with a number assigned they THEIR name.
  • They paid all taxes.
  • A large number of them did all that is necessary to become CITIZENS.

All the arguments of the Left spits in the face of all these numerous law abiding people who immigrated legally.

Why hasn’t FOX, or any other respected news entity conducted an investigative report focused on these wonderful people who have made a genuine contribution to our society? Huh?

WASHINGTON —  President Barack Obama didn’t wait for Congress to rewrite the nation’s immigration laws to help millions who are in the United States illegally stay in the country.

He halted deportations of those who came to the United States when they were young, those who care for children and those who haven’t committed crimes. And he’s started allowing some relatives of U.S. service members living in the country illegally to stay as a way to alleviate additional stress on the military and reward veterans.

With a proposed immigration overhaul stalled in Congress, Obama is changing the policy step by step on his own. He’s using executive actions to affect millions of people, part of a pattern he’s embraced on a variety of topics in recent years to bypass Capitol Hill.

“What this administration has undertaken has never happened to this degree,” said Mark Krikorian, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, a research center.

Obama’s actions spark anger on both sides of the issue. Supporters of an immigration overhaul complain that he hasn’t gone far enough. Opponents of an immigration overhaul say he goes too far.

Supporters have tried to block deportation proceedings at government buildings in a dozen cities, chained themselves to the gates outside the White House, even interrupted a presidential address.

“The president has the legal authority to exercise discretion in immigration enforcement, and to date, that authority has been exercised poorly,” said Pablo Alvarado, the executive director of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, which is leading the charge against deportations.

Critics have accused Obama of violating the Constitution, prompting a congressional hearing and a lawsuit by immigration agents who accuse the government of preventing them from fulfilling their sworn oath to uphold the law.

“The current administration is picking and choosing which laws to enforce,” said Rep. Robert Goodlatte, a Virginia Republican who’s the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. “The president cannot refuse to enforce a law simply because he dislikes it.”

Obama broke his campaign promise to tackle immigration in his first year in office. Since then, though, he’s consistently urged Congress to rewrite the immigration laws, with no success.

The Democratic-controlled Senate passed the most significant overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws in a generation last year. The Republican-led House of Representatives won’t consider the bill, which provides a path to citizenship for the estimated 11 million immigrants who are in the country illegally, until the borders are secure.

While lawmakers argued, the Department of Homeland Security enacted a series of changes using prosecutorial discretion, the wide latitude given to prosecutors in determining whether to pursue apparent violations of the law.

“In the absence of any immigration action from Congress to fix our broken immigration system, what we’ve tried to do is focus our immigration enforcement resources in the right places,” Obama said in 2012.

The president’s opponents and those who want stricter enforcement say the tool was created to review individual cases, not entire categories of people, though it’s been used occasionally for groups, including Cubans and Haitians.

Kevin Johnson, an immigration policy expert who serves as the dean of the University of California, Davis, School of Law, said the president could halt all deportations much the same way a governor could ban executions but that it would be a mistake because angry Republicans would refuse to consider an immigration overhaul.

“Could he put a moratorium on removals? Yes,” Johnson said. “But politically it would be a disaster. It would end the possibilities for comprehensive immigration reform.”

Obama has said repeatedly that he doesn’t believe that he has the authority to stop all deportations.

In late November, a heckler seated behind Obama at an immigration speech in San Francisco argued that the president has the power to stop deportations.

“The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws,” Obama responded to him. “And what I’m proposing is the harder path, which is to use our democratic processes to achieve the same goal that you want to achieve – but it won’t be as easy as just shouting. It requires us lobbying and getting it done.”

Krikorian accuses Obama of trying to have it both ways. “He is telling supporters he can’t do it unilaterally, but he’s doing a lot of it unilaterally,” he said.

Obama was initially skeptical of using his executive powers the way his Republican predecessor George W. Bush did.

In his first two years in the White House, when fellow Democrats controlled Capitol Hill, Obama largely worked through the regular legislative process to try to achieve his immigration agenda. But Republicans took control of the House in 2010, making that task more difficult.

The next year, after an intense lobbying effort from advocates, he began to use his own power to move his immigration agenda forward.

“Clearly, the pressure is what drove him to act,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of America’s Voice, a group that seeks a path to citizenship for immigrants who are in the country illegally.

Overall, deportations have increased during the Obama administration to roughly 400,000 people a year, but not in all categories.

In 2011, the administration issued a memo that called for deporting only the most serious criminals, including those who pose threats to national security, have extensive criminal backgrounds and have recently crossed the border.

The next year, after a bill to create a path to citizenship for those who attend college or serve in the military failed, Obama announced that illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children – so-called Dreamers – would be able to stay and obtain work permits.

Last August, the administration said federal agents shouldn’t deport the parents or guardians of minor children. Three months later, agents were directed to allow the spouses, children and parents of service members, reservists and veterans to stay.

“It’s an effort to shift priorities,” said Marshall Fitz, the director of immigration policy at the left-leaning Center for American Progress. “Doesn’t it make sense to prioritize?”
