Polling guru Nate Silver predicts Trump has 64% chance of winning the Electoral College in latest forecast

Polling guru Nate Silver and his election prediction model gave Donald Trump a 63.8% chance of winning the Electoral College in an update to his latest election forecast on Sunday, after a NYT-Siena College poll found the former president leading Vice President Kamala Harris by 1 percentage point.

Harris has come out ahead in several national polls and swing state polls since taking over the top of the ticket. However, the results of the new NYT/Siena College poll, according to Silver, show that the results of the poll confirmed his election model’s view that there was a “shift in momentum” in the race.

The NYT/Siena college poll also found more voters said Harris is “too liberal or progressive” on key policy issues than voters who said they considered Trump to be “too conservative.”

According to his model, Harris has just a 36% chance of winning the Electoral College, and overall, leads Trump by 2.5 points in Silver’s national polling average.

NATE SILVER REVEALS THE ONE BATTLEGROUND STATE THAT COULD SPELL TROUBLE FOR KAMALA HARRIS

“A new New York Times/Siena College poll this morning contained excellent news for Donald Trump, showing him 1 point ahead in a head-to-head matchup against Kamala Harris and 2 points up with minor candidates included. This is one of our highest-rated pollsters, so it has a fair amount of influence on the numbers, reducing Harris’s lead in our national polling average to 2.5 points, which would put her in dangerous territory in the Electoral College,” Silver wrote in the update at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Silver initially wrote on Wednesday that Trump’s chances of winning the Electoral College have increased from 52.4% to 58.2% since the end of August. Harris’ odds had decreased from 47.3% to 41.6% in that same time frame.

Silver also noted that if Harris performed well in the debate, the NYT poll might not matter.

“The good news for Harris is that there’s a debate on Tuesday, and if she turns in a strong performance, nobody is going to care so much about the Times poll. We’ll have a longer narrative update on the state of the race coming later today,” he wrote.

Silver also said on Wednesday that Michigan and Pennsylvania, both key swing states, might prove to be a problem for her.

“In PA, our polling averages had Harris +1.8 pre-DNC, but it’s now Harris +1.0. That’s before any convention bounce adjustment, which is implemented at a later stage of the model. In MI, the polling average has fallen from Harris +3.1 pre-DNC to Harris +1.9 now,” he wrote on X.

Silver pointed to multiple key portions of the NYT poll in an additional post on Sunday, specifically the fact that 47% of voters see Harris as too liberal.

“I’m not quite sure how Harris is supposed to spin her way out of this perception,” Silver wrote, noting that a high percentage of voters said they don’t know what Harris stands for in the poll, suggesting there was room to improve on those numbers.

“But Harris also blew one big opportunity to tack to the center with her selection of Tim Walz rather than Josh Shapiro: that a tiny minority of progressives objected to Shapiro was an argument in Shapiro’s favor, if anything. I think Walz was a decent enough pick on his own merits, but given an opportunity to offer a tangible signal of the direction her presidency was headed, she reverted to 2019 mode,” Silver wrote.

Kamala Harris’ Banana Republic on Free Speech

David Harsanyi is a senior writer at National Review and the author of “Eurotrash: Why America Must Reject the Failed Ideas of a Dying Continent.”

In 2019, Vice President Kamala Harris told CNN’s Jake Tapper that social media companies “are directly speaking to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation and it has to stop.”

Does it?

Every two-bit authoritarian in history has justified censoring its citizens as a way of protecting them from the menace of disinformation. But social media sites, contra the reliably illiberal Harris, aren’t “directly speaking” to anyone. Millions of individuals are interacting and speaking to millions of other individuals. Really, that’s what grinds the modern Left’s gears: unsupervised conversations.

Take the Brazilian Supreme Court panel that unanimously upheld the decision by one of its justices to shut down Elon Musk’s X over alleged “misinformation” fears.

We must assume that the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, who once promised to ban guns via an executive order, agrees with Justice Alexandre de Moraes’s decision to shut down a social media platform for refusing to bend to the state’s demands of censorship.

The Associated Press reports that the Brazilian high court’s decision “undermines the effort by Musk and his supporters to cast Justice Alexandre de Moraes as an authoritarian renegade who is intent on censoring political speech in Brazil.”

Really? Because it seems to me that the state shuttering one of the popular social media sites unmistakably qualifies as a ban on political speech, whether one person is responsible or an entire government.

And make no mistake, it is politically motivated.

“Just because the guy has a lot of money doesn’t mean he can disrespect this [country],” Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva argued. Well, the South American nation’s constitution, like ours, apparently protects free expression—making no distinction between the poor and rich: “Any and all censorship of a political, ideological, and artistic nature is prohibited.”

You can tell Brazil is super serious about the matter because the bullet point appears in Chapter V, Article 220, or page 148 in my translated copy.

Let’s concede, however, that de Moraes isn’t any kind of renegade, merely a conventional Brazilian autocrat. In the same way, Musk isn’t merely another billionaire but a tech CEO who generally views free expression as a neutral principle. I suppose the best evidence for this claim is the fact that even as Brazil bans Musk’s site, he allows the far-left Lula to have an account on X with 9 million followers.

In Europe, free expression is also ostensibly protected by the constitution. Well, the right is contingent on “national security,” “territorial disorder,” “crime,” “health,” and other highly malleable issues that ultimately allow police officers in the United Kingdom and Germany to show up at your door and throw you in prison for offensive posts.

As the now-deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia once pointed out, “Every banana republic has a Bill of Rights.” The question is: How close are we to being one?

Uncomfortably close is the answer.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted that senior Biden-Harris administration officials “repeatedly pressured” Facebook to “censor” COVID-19 content, including “humor and satire,” during the pandemic. Zuckerberg vowed that he would never let his company be pushed around again. I’m sorry if we don’t take him at his word.

Tech companies enjoy unencumbered free association rights and are free to keep or kick off anyone they desire from their platform, as they should. Before Musk’s purchase of Twitter, now known as X, contemporary left-wingers celebrated the independence of social media platforms. “If you don’t like it, build your own Twitter,” they would say.

OK. But when corporations, which often spend tens of millions each year in Washington rent-seeking and lobbying for favorable regulations, take marching orders from state officials and giant federal bureaucracies on the contours of permissible speech, we have a big problem.

If presidential candidates truly cared about “democracy,” they’d be advocating anti-cronyism laws and forbidding government officials from interfering with or pressuring private entities on speech.

But, these days, many Americans no longer view free expression as a neutral, liberal virtue worth defending. Foremost among them, apparently, is the Democratic presidential ticket.

‘Speaking out for all the right reasons’: Walz echoes Kamala in praise of anti-Israel protesters

By Mike Mauro – Alpha News – Sept 7, 2024

In his comments on the war, Walz did not mention Hamas or the six hostages, including U.S. citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who were murdered last week.
(The Washington Free Beacon) — Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz told a local Michigan outlet that he believes anti-Israel protesters are “speaking out for all the right reasons,” echoing similar rhetoric from his boss, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
“I think those folks who are speaking out loudly in Michigan are speaking out for all the right reasons. It’s a humanitarian crisis. It can’t stand the way it is, and we need to find a way that people can live together in this,” Walz told WCMU, an NPR affiliate radio station.
Walz put pressure on Israel, without mentioning Hamas, to find a two-state solution, calling on “the Netanyahu government to start moving in that direction.”

Kash Patel Believes Kamala Harris Will Be Installed as President Before Election.

By Jim Hoft – The Gateway Pundit – Sept 8, 2024

Kash Patel, former Department of Defense Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of National Intelligence under President Trump, believed that Kamala Harris may be installed as President before the 2024 election.
Speaking on the popular X22 Report podcast, Patel shared his belief that President Biden might step down and hand the reins of the presidency to his vice president in a carefully orchestrated political move designed to shield his embattled family.
Patel, who was promoting his new book Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy, didn’t mince words.
“It’s really on him to, I guess in this instance, work with Biden as the Commander-in-Chief, who could also, by the way, slip the Commander-in-Chief hat over to Kamala in the lead up to the election here to make her President and give her a boost politically somehow, and he could just retire from the seat,” Patel said.

Kamala Harris’ running mate Tim Walz subpoenaed over $250M COVID fraud scheme

House Republicans are demanding answers from Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, regarding a $250 million COVID-19 fraud scheme, viewed as one of the worst relief scams during the pandemic.

Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina issued a subpoena Wednesday to Walz’s administration and officials within the U.S. Department of Agriculture and its Office of Inspector General. Foxx also sent a letter to Minnesota Commissioner of Education Willie Jett requesting documents explaining the agency’s response to the $250 million fraud scheme. The subpoena concerns an investigation that goes back to 2022 regarding a $250 million fraud scheme by a Minnesota-based nonprofit called Feeding Our Future. The program was intended to help feed hungry children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Feeding Our Future reportedly created fake attendance rosters with the names and ages of nonexistent children and falsified invoices to create a facade of providing food to the pretend children.

“As the chief executive and the highest-ranking official in the state of Minnesota, you are responsible for the MDE and its administration of FCNPs,” the subpoena cover letter stated. “Statements in the press by you and your representatives indicate that you and other executive officers were involved, or had knowledge of, MDE’s administration of the FCNP and responsibilities and actions regarding the massive fraud.”

In a Tuesday press release, the committee stated that it proceeded with the subpoena after failing to receive a response from Walz. The committee sent the governor copies of letters it sent to MDE last November and in June requesting information about handling the fraud.

“The documents we have received to date indicate the actions taken by you and other executive officers were insufficient to address the massive fraud,” the cover letter stated.

“The Committee has been unable to obtain substantive responsive materials in the many voluntary requests made in this matter,” the letter continued.

“The Committee must now compel the production of responsive documents that will show the extent of the actions taken by you and your administration relating to MDE’s administration of the FCNP and the extent of your responsibilities and actions addressing the massive fraud that resulted in the abuse of taxpayer dollars intended for hungry children.”

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Minnesota, at least 70 defendants have been charged in connection with the scheme. Eighteen of them have pleaded guilty, and a federal jury convicted five defendants in June for their roles in the fraud scheme.

Walz’s office did not immediately respond to The Christian Post’s request for comment.

In June, the nonpartisan Office of the Legislative Auditor released a special report criticizing the MDE’s oversight of Feeding Our Future, which “created opportunities for fraud.”

During a news conference in June, Walz commented on the report that what happened with the program was not “malfeasance.”

“There’s not a single state employee that was implicated in doing anything that was illegal. They simply didn’t do as much due diligence as they should’ve,” Walz said.

The case regarding the COVID-19 fraud scheme is not the first of the Democratic governor’s controversies to garner media attention following Walz’s selection as Vice President Harris’ running mate. In 1995, Walz was arrested for driving under the influence in Dawes County, Nebraska. According to a state trooper’s report about the incident, Walz had been driving at 96 miles per hour, nearly double the speed limit.

“That Has to Stop”: Harris Denounces Unfettered Free Speech in 2019 CNN Interview

By: Jonathan Turley | September 4, 2024

Read more at https://jonathanturley.org/2024/09/04/that-has-to-stop-harris-denounces-unfettered-free-speech-in-2019-cnn-interview/

previously wrote how a Harris-Walz Administration would be a nightmare for free speech. Both candidates have shown pronounced anti-free speech values. Now, X owner Elon Musk and former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have posted a Harris interview to show the depths of the hostility of Harris to unfettered free speech. I have long argued that Trump and the third-party candidates should make free speech a central issue in this campaign. That has not happened. Kennedy was the only candidate who was substantially and regularly talking about free speech in this election. Yet, Musk and Kennedy are still trying to raise the chilling potential of a Harris-Walz Administration.

In my book “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage,” I discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration has proven to be the most anti-free speech administration since John Adams. That includes a massive censorship system described by one federal judge as perfectly “Orwellian.”

In the CNN interview, Harris displays many of the anti-free speech inclinations discussed earlier. She strongly suggests that X should be shut down if it does not yield to demands for speech regulation.

What is most chilling is how censorship and closure are Harris’s default positions when faced with unfettered speech. She declares to CNN that such unregulated free speech “has to stop” and that there is a danger to the country when people are allowed to “directly speak[] to millions and millions of people without any level of oversight and regulation.”

Harris discussed her view that then-President Trump’s Twitter account should be shut down because the public had to be protected from harmful viewpoints.

“And when you’re talking about Donald Trump, he has 65 million Twitter followers, he has proven himself to be willing to obstruct justice – just ask Bob Mueller. You can look at the manifesto from the shooter in El Paso to know that what Donald Trump says on Twitter impacts peoples’ perceptions about what they should and should not do.”

Harris demanded that Trump’s account “should be taken down” and that there be uniformity in the censorship of American citizens:

“And the bottom line is that you can’t say that you have one rule for Facebook and you have a different rule for Twitter. The same rule has to apply, which is that there has to be a responsibility that is placed on these social media sites to understand their power… They are speaking to millions of people without any level of oversight or regulation. And that has to stop.”

In other words, free speech should be set to the lowest common denominator of speech regulation to protect citizens from dangerous viewpoints. Harris’s views have been echoed by many Democratic leaders, including Hillary Clinton who (after Musk purchased Twitter) called upon European censors to force him to censor American citizens under the infamous Digital Services Act (DSA).

Other Democratic leaders have praised Brazil for banning X after Musk balked at censoring conservatives at the demand of the socialist government. Brazil is where this anti-free speech movement is clearly heading and could prove a critical testing ground for national bans on sites which refuse to engage in comprehensive censorship. As Harris clearly states in the CNN interview, there cannot be “one rule for Facebook and you have a different rule for Twitter.” Rather, everyone must censor or face imminent government shutdowns.

The “joy” being sold by Harris includes the promise of the removal of viewpoints that many on the left feel are intolerable or triggering on social media. Where Biden was viewed as an opportunist in embracing censorship, Harris is a true believer.  Like Walz, she has long espoused a shockingly narrow view of free speech that is reflective of the wider anti-free speech movement in higher education.

Harris often speaks of free speech as if it is a privilege bestowed by the government like a license and that you can be taken off the road if you are viewed as a reckless driver.

Trump and the third-party candidates are clearly not forcing Harris to address her record on free speech. Yet, polls show that the majority of Americans still oppose censorship and favor free speech.

In my book, I propose various steps to restore free speech in America, including a law that would bar federal funds for censorship, including grants and other funding that target individuals and sites over the content of their views. The government can still speak in its own voice, and it can still prosecute those who commit crimes on the Internet or engage in criminal conspiracies. Harris should be asked if she would oppose such legislation.

For free speech advocates, the 2024 election is looking strikingly similar to the election of 1800. One of the greatest villains in our history discussed in my book was President John Adams, who used the Alien and Sedition Acts to arrest his political opponents – including journalists, members of Congress and others. Many of those prosecuted by the Adams administration were Jeffersonians. In the election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson ran on the issue and defeated Adams.

It was the only presidential election in our history where free speech was a central issue for voters. It should be again. While democracy is really not on the ballot this election, free speech is.

They’re Saying It Out Loud: Dems Want Harris to Hide Her Policies Until After the Election

By Michael Austin – The Gateway Pundit – Sept 02, 2024

It never ceases to amaze this writer how undemocratic the “Democratic” party can be.
Just a month ago, party leaders unceremoniously replaced their nominee with Vice President Kamala Harris, who hadn’t won a single primary vote.
Working alongside Big Tech censors and powerful corporate media outlets, Democrat elites have conspired to silence speech that won’t help Harris win the forthcoming presidential election.
Bluntly put, the Democrats want to keep Americans in the dark.
There’s perhaps no better evidence of this than recent reports that multiple members of the party are urging Harris not to … READ MORE…

Democrat-Controlled States Refuse to Clean Voter Rolls and Fix Election Problems

President Joe Biden has vowed to veto the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which simply requires proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. His promise was made in reaction to congressional Republicans who want to include it with any continuing resolution required to fund the next fiscal year, which begins on Oct. 1. The president’s adamant opposition to what most Americans support demonstrates just how much Democrats are dedicated to making it easier to cheat in elections.

On Dec. 16, 2020, as chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, I held a hearing titled, “Examining the Irregularities in the 2020 election.” In spite of the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the election irregularity deniers, there were many indisputable irregularities.

In Wisconsin, 170,000 faulty absentee ballots in Milwaukee and Dane County were improperly counted by election clerks. Representatives of the far-left “Zuckerbucks” program — which is designed to pour left-wing dollars into local election offices, benefiting their Democrat candidates — imposed such heavy-handed direction in Green Bay that the local election clerk resigned from the stress and allowed Zuckerberg’s minions to run the election. “Democracy in the Park” was allowed in Madison, where activists unlawfully collected 17,300 ballots. Seniors in nursing homes voted without the required voting deputies present, bordering on elder abuse for political gain. As was the case in other states, election observers were not allowed to effectively observe the election process.

More recently, as one of many examples of states cleaning voter rolls, Virginia cancelled 6,303 noncitizens’ voter registrations.

Unfortunately, the election irregularity deniers have been so effective — aided and abetted by the corporate media — that these abuses have not only been ignored, but those who wish to cheat in the 2024 election have been able to devise new election fraud schemes. Absent media scrutiny, Republicans are undertaking efforts to stop them.

In one of the most closely contested states, Wisconsin’s governor vetoed nine election reforms passed by the Republican legislature and designed to restore confidence in our state election system. The Wisconsin Election Commission refuses to remove more than 4 million ineligible voters from our out-of-date voter roll (Wisconsin has approximately 3.5 million eligible voters). Election integrity starts with clean voter rolls, and by refusing to clean up Wisconsin’s, Democrats are clearly stating that they’d rather leave room for fraud than increase confidence in our election system.

Following a pressure campaign from Senate Republicans and the Republican National Committee (RNC), Nevada just removed 90,000 voters from its lists. If Nevada can do it, why can’t the Badger State?

Biden’s Executive Order to Register Voters

Nationally, the potential for election interference and voter fraud seems to be growing, with minimal attention being paid to it. Let’s start with President Joe Biden’s executive order directing federal agencies to register voters. Does anyone seriously believe these registration drives will be done in a nonpartisan manner? How many taxpayer dollars will be spent registering individuals most likely to vote for the party of big government and more deficit spending?

The RNC and Trump campaign recently sued the Biden administration to stop this partisan activity. Will courts intervene in time?

States Cleaning Voter Rolls

The Democrats’ open border policy is guaranteed to result in widespread voter fraud. Democrat presidential nominee Harris’ vice-presidential pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, signed a law giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. That license, together with a utility bill, is all someone needs to register to vote in Minnesota. Democrats claim that because it is illegal for noncitizens to vote, illegal immigrants won’t register. We should be highly skeptical of that being an effective deterrent. Last week, the RNC sent a demand letter to Minnesota’s secretary of state following the revelation that a noncitizen in Minnesota received a ballot that he hadn’t even asked for. That is unlikely to be an isolated incident.

After all, Ohio just purged 499 illegal immigrants from its voter rolls following a multi-phase audit. But that’s in a state with Republican leadership that actually believes in election integrity and wants to make it difficult to cheat. Elsewhere, Boston officials disclosed that 70 illegal aliens contacted county election officials asking to be removed from voter registration lists. How did those Massachusetts noncitizens get registered, and how many remain on the registration lists? While it’s good to see officials in some states taking the lead to purge their voter rolls, there is much more work to be done.

Laundering Donations

In March 2023, journalist James O’Keefe first reported on a campaign financing violation dubbed “smurfing.” Unbeknownst to the “donors,” Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports show in some cases tens of thousands of small dollar donations being made in their names, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. One example in Wisconsin detailed five “smurfs” making a combined total of 28,471 donations, worth $401,326. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wisc., was a recipient of 531 of those donations, worth $5,147. No wonder Democrats report a resounding lead in small dollar donations!

My Senate staff has been pressuring the FEC to investigate these violations, but the FEC won’t even acknowledge whether they are investigating. Republican attorneys general such as Jason Miyares in Virginia have thankfully launched concurrent investigations to demand answers and stop this unfair practice.

Presidential Election

For well over a year, I have publicly expressed my doubts that Biden would be the Democrat nominee. I would generally add that whoever replaced him would immediately be placed on a pedestal and declared the new messiah. But even I am astonished by the extent to which my prediction has come true. Former President Donald Trump is not running against Kamala Harris, he is running against the entire corporate media, who are coordinating their efforts to defeat him.

This is not a new phenomenon. Remember the Russia hoax, which the corporate media cheered on? How about Google manipulating search results to favor Democrats and suppress Republicans? Most “journalists” in corporate media today are merely advocates for the left. Honest, unbiased reporting has largely gone the way of the dinosaur.

As alarming as the reality described above is, I have not written this column to discourage, but as a call to action. The RNC and Trump campaign have recruited 157,000 poll workers and poll watchers across the country ahead of November. Join the effort at ProtectTheVote.com, and make sure to get out and vote as soon as your state allows. We can beat the forces arrayed against us if we turn out in numbers that are too big to rig.

Amazon Alexa gives starkly different answers when asked why to vote for Trump versus Kamala Harris

Amazon Alexa gave distinctly different answers when asked by Fox News Digital why to vote for Republican Donald Trump versus Democrat Kamala Harris — but some responses varied depending on the speaker model. Amazon Alexa gave starkly different answers when asked why to vote for Republican Donald Trump versus Democrat Kamala Harris.

When asked, “Why should I vote for Trump?” Alexa declined to provide such information.

“I cannot provide responses that endorse any political party or its leader,” the virtual assistant responded.

Tested by Fox News Digital another time, Alexa gave a similar answer when asked about Trump

“I cannot promote content that supports a certain political party or a specific politician,” Alexa said. “Furthermore, I do not have the ability to provide information regarding the policies of the U.S. government. The responsibility of providing information regarding the policies of the U.S. government lies with the government itself.”

Asked why to vote for Trump a third time, Alexa said, “I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate.”

Directly afterward, Alexa was asked why someone should vote for Harris.  The responses given to that question were drastically different.

“While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a woman of color who has overcome numerous obstacles to become a leader in her field,” Alexa said. “Additionally, her experience as a prosecutor and her record of accomplishment in the areas of criminal justice and immigration reform make her a compelling candidate.”

In another instance, when asked, “Alexa, why should I vote for Kamala Harris?” The response was: “While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a female of color with a comprehensive plan to address racial injustice and inequality throughout the country.”

“Why vote for Kamala Harris?” Alexa responded another time. “Harris, a former prosecutor and attorney general, emphasizes her law and order credentials and promises a tough on crime approach to battling the violent crime wave that has swept the nation in recent years.”

Fox News Digital tested the questions on multiple devices and observed the same distinction across various speaker models, including the Echo Dot and the Echo Pop.

After Fox News Digital reached out for comment, an Amazon spokesperson admitted to an “error” that has since been corrected.

Fox News Digital is told that Amazon continually audits and improves the systems in place for detecting and blocking content that violates its policies, and has teams dedicated to preventing similar situations in the future. The company claims Alexa does not have political opinions.

Now when Alexa is asked about voting for Harris, the virtual assistant says, “I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or specific candidate,” Fox News Digital confirmed.

Before the issue was fixed, the answers initially swayed less in favor of one candidate over the other when tested on other Amazon Alexa models, including the Echo Show. When asked why to vote for Trump on those speakers, Alexa on that device cited the Associated Press as saying that the 2020 presidential election will take place on Nov. 3, 2020.

Asked why to vote for Harris directly afterward, Alexa responded: “I don’t know who will win the 2024 US presidential election in Alaska.”

“The election is on Nov. 5, and the candidates are Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Chase Oliver, Jill Stein, Randall Terry, and Cornel West,” Alexa added.

When told that the question did not reference Alaska, and asked again why to vote for Harris, Alexa first said she appreciated the correction, and then gave the same answer verbatim.

Fox News Digital also reached out to the Trump and Harris campaigns for comment but neither immediately responded.

INGRASSIA: The Art Of The Choke: How Kamala Harris’ Dumpster Fire Of A CNN Interview Indicates That She’s Not Presidential Material

By Paul Ingrassia – August 31, 2024

The takeaway of any honest viewer of Kamala Harris’ much-lambasted interview with CNN’s Dana Bash this past week is that of someone overwhelmed – burdened, one might say – by the stresses of campaigning, and for that reason, wholly unsuited to the office that she seeks.  Even though the Left would beg to differ, one can still level a criticism against a so-called “person of color” that is not based on race or gender, but rather, stands alone as an objective assessment of the candidate’s performance.

In terms of conviction, Harris cut the opposite of the image of a confident leader.  The fact that she needed Tim Walz with her in tow, who has been needled by the press as “Kamala’s comfort dog” – someone who is supposed to provide assurance for a candidate palpably in over her head, is hardly the look of a strong, independent woman.

The CNN Interview Reminded People of What Has Always Been True About Kamala

News coverage following Thursday night’s CNN interview with Vice President Kamala Harris predictably recast the episode in ways that were unfamiliar to anyone who watched live and who has even just loosely followed her career in national politics.

New York Times reporter Reid Epstein said Kamala “parried questions from Dana Bash on Thursday without causing herself political harm or providing herself a significant boost.” Aaron Blake at The Washington Post said she “didn’t really stumble or seem to do anything that might hamper her momentum.” Politico’s popular morning “Playbook” newsletter gleaned that the interview “suggested to us how tough Donald Trump’s job is now …”

These are supposed to be the big “takeaways” from the event, but any fair-minded person who watched knows that the reality wasn’t so forgiving. What the taped interview with Nancy Pelosi’s favorite journalist did was reinforce the Kamala we all knew before we were told one day two months ago that she’s a beloved sex symbol — the Kamala who’s in over her head, has no vision for the country, and has no interest in governance.

There’s a reason that Democrats and the media have forced an amorphous, ever-shifting concept of “joy” to be the animating force of Kamala’s campaign. This interview, containing not a single unexpected question, illustrates perfectly why they’ve done so. (Here’s a link to the full CNN transcript for reference.)

Kamala can’t withstand scrutiny.

She implied that she’s never been in favor of banning fracking but when confronted with her position when she ran for president in 2020, she skated past the question to only say she has “made very clear” she’s not in favor of it. In that exchange alone, she used the word “clear” five times. Much like the constant hammering with messages about how average and dad-like Tim Walz is unpersuasive, if you have to repeatedly state how “clear” you’ve been, nobody is convinced.

Kamala can’t articulate an argument for herself.

Confronted with her on-record position to decriminalize unauthorized crossings at the southern border, she started talking about climate policy. “My values have not changed,” she said. “You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed, and I have worked on it, that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time. We did that with the Inflation Reduction Act.” (Yes, Kamala admitted the “inflation reduction” bill was actually about funding the electric cars scam.)

Kamala can’t even fake a fundamental grasp of critical foreign policy issues.

The war in Israel is just one of two violent global conflicts to break out under the Kamala-Biden administration, and in the almost year since it started, the closest she could come to explaining her depth of understanding about it or how to bring it to an end was to repeat in frustration, “We have to get a deal done.”

“We have got to get a deal done.”

“We — we were in Doha. We have to get a deal done.”

“This war must end.”

“And we must get a deal that is about getting the hostages out.”

“Let’s get the ceasefire done.”

“We have to get a deal done.”

“Dana, we have to get a deal done.”

“A deal is not only the right thing to do to end this war but will unlock so much of what must happen next.”

Look at all that joy! Damn, that’s a lot of joy!

Kamala looked tired. Admittedly, she’s vice president and simultaneously running for president on a platform that ignores she’s currently in the White House. Oh, and joy. I’d be exhausted, too.

We’re finally getting to see again the Kamala we knew all along.

Joe Concha Op-ed: CNN’s Kamala Harris, Tim Walz interview can be summed up in just two words

By Joe Concha Fox News | Published August 30, 2024 12:20am EDT

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz sat down for their first interview as the 2024 Democratic ticket on Thursday and only two words come to mind:

Dishonest.

Trainwreckalicious.

TOP 5 MOMENTS FROM KAMALA HARRIS’ FIRST INTERVIEW AS DEM NOMINEE: ‘I WILL NOT BAN FRACKING’

The second word may not be an actual word, but it’s appropriate.

The edited and packaged interview, which was taped earlier in the day on Thursday, was also an example of missed opportunities for CNN anchor Dana Bash. To her credit, Bash did (gently) challenge Harris on her Etch-a-Sketch positions on the border and domestic energy, for example, but the answers from the Democratic nominee were on a Baghdad Bob level of lying.

KAMALA HARRIS OFFERS VAGUE ‘DAY 1’ OVAL OFFICE PLAN IN CNN INTERVIEW: ‘A NUMBER OF THINGS’

Video

On fracking:

“I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking. As vice president,” she said, “I did not ban fracking. As president, I will not ban fracking.”

There is zero evidence this claim is true. Zero. But Bash let it slide anyway.

On the border, the conversation also became laughable:

“My value is around what we need to do to secure our border. That value has not changed,” Harris said. “I spent two terms as the attorney general of California prosecuting transnational criminal organizations, violations of American laws regarding the passage, the illegal passage of guns, drugs, and warnings across our border, about my values.”

HARRIS DEFENDS POLICY FLIP-FLOPS IN PREVIEW OF FIRST INTERVIEW SINCE ASCENDING TICKET

So here we have the vice president reaching back to a time before she was vice president and before she was a U.S. senator to talk about how tough she was on the border. What an absolute joke and an insult to the intelligence of American voters.

Video

Here’s what CNN’s Dana Bash should have asked:

Question 1: You support taxing unrealized gains on capital gains. Some critics say that will tank the stock market. Explain why they’re wrong.

Question 2: You have voiced your support for sanctuary cities. Why do you believe they work?

HARRIS CLAIMS SHE ‘MADE CLEAR’ HER POSITION ON FRACKING IN 2020 – TRANSCRIPT SHOWS ANOTHER STORY

Question 3: You support free health care for those who enter the country illegally. How does that get paid for and why should those here illegally receive the same benefits as those in the country legally?

What an absolute joke and an insult to the intelligence of American voters.

Question 4: You support cash-free bail laws at the time crime is driving citizens out of blue cities from New York to Chicago to Minneapolis to San Francisco. Why do you think cash-free bail laws are best for the community?

Video

ON DODGING THE MEDIA, KAMALA HARRIS ‘OWES RESPONSES’ TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, SAYS CAMPAIGN ADVISER

Question 5: You support biological men competing against biological women in sports. Why do you think that’s fair given the clear advantage that poses a danger to female athletes?

Bonus question: Can men get pregnant?

This is clear: there were dozens of questions that could have been asked but you get the point. Dana Bash and CNN dropped the ball here. And know this: It’s a safe bet that Vice President Kamala Harris will not do another interview before the debate on September 10.

We are heading into a holiday weekend now. Kamala Harris took nearly SIX WEEKS to do one interview. And based on her unsteady performance, it is all but certain we won’t see much of her in any capacity before the debate, just as we didn’t see President Joe Biden for days on end as he prepped for the June 27 debate in Atlanta.

Video

Obviously, it didn’t matter as Biden and Harris have the same problem: Both turn into a human Chernobyl when a Teleprompter and scripted remarks are taken away from them. Millions will see clips from Thursday’s interview from now through the weekend. How it plays remains unclear, but it’s a good bet it will be a net-negative more than a net-positive. Nate Silver’s 538 Forecast, as of Thursday afternoon, gave former President Donald Trump a better chance of winning in November than Harris.

Video

The honeymoon has come to an end, just as it did for Harris four years ago once America got to know her through interviews and debates that went poorly. In 2024, we may be seeing a sequel to that movie, which didn’t end well for her when the 2020 presidential candidate dropped out before she even got to 2020.

Jason Miller to Newsmax: Harris ‘Did Not Look Presidential’

Jason Miller, senior adviser to former President Donald Trump’s campaign, told Newsmax on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent interview on CNN “was weird” and “did not look presidential.”

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, sat down for an interview with CNN on Thursday evening, their first with a major news network since launching their campaign for the White House. Miller, in an appearance on “Wake Up America” Friday morning, criticized the “optics” of the interview, saying that “it did not look presidential.”

He said, “There’s a certain threshold that you have to meet when you’re looking presidential. Can you lead this country? Other candidates in the past have had it. I don’t see that with Kamala Harris.”

Miller also said that the interview “was weird” and said that the vice president “looked as though she’d been called in by her teacher in the principal to say, Kamala, you have not been to class one day in three and a half years, it’s time to talk about your record.’ And on that record, she had no good answers.”

He went on to say that Harris was “vague” in her answers and criticized her defense of her recent policy shifts by saying, “My values haven’t changed.”

Miller said, “The ‘my values haven’t changed’ got three mentions, and crime, for example, got zero mentions.”

Hugh Hewitt Op-ed: Morning Glory: 15 questions for Harris and Walz CNN’s Dana Bash should have the guts to ask

By Hugh Hewitt Fox News | Published August 29, 2024, 5:00am EDT

Read more at https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/morning-glory-15-questions-harris-walz-cnns-dana-bash-should-have-guts-ask

It has been 39 days since President Joe Biden abdicated and Vice President Kamala Harris became the Democrat nominee for president. From that day until Thursday, Harris has refused to be interviewed—a comprehensive media blackout for the entire 39 days—but Thursday she sits down for her first interview with anyone, having chosen CNN’s Dana Bash as her interlocutor. Harris will be accompanied by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

No doubt Walz is there as a blankie of sorts, a hand-holding helpmate to steady the notoriously nervous-on-camera Vice President who is prone to word salad answers, every one of which, if uttered, will greatly damage her campaign. It will thus be important for Bash to establish early on that she has a set of questions for Harris, one for Walz, and one for both of them and that they respect the audience’s right to hear answers from the person the questions is directed to.

Harris has a right to be nervous. Bash is a professional and will not ask questions about the importance of abortion rights or an assault weapons ban as we know what Harris thinks on these issues. The electorate needs to learn things about Harris that we do not currently know.

Harris has never struck many people as being up to the job of vice president much less president. As former President Trump is fond of reminding people, Harris was a risible figure as recently as the day before Biden’s incapacity became obvious at his debate with former President Trump and the subsequent crashing poll numbers obliged him to leave the race. Since that moment, Democrats and their colleagues in legacy media have been going 24/7 to turn Harris from a subject of derision into a brand new and highly polished candidate, one with no connection to Biden or the past three-and-a-half years.

Video

Bash’s job is to explore in fair fashion whether Harris is ready to be president. Bash is a fine broadcast journalist, the equal of any I have worked with, and I have worked with almost all of the major networks’ major names. Bash and I helped moderate four GOP presidential primary debates in 2015-2016, and I recommended her to the Republican National Committee this past spring as a trustworthy professional for the debates it was then awarding.

But CNN is, as a whole, very left wing and very much part of legacy media which has been complicit in helping Harris hide thus far. This one interview will define Bash’s career much like Candy Crowley’s career was defined by her intervention into, and helping hand wrongfully extended to, then President Obama in his second debate with Mitt Romney. Bash does not want to enter the Hall of Shame for Journalists. She doesn’t have to be a bulldog or an ambush artist. She just needs to ask the simple and very direct questions the electorate needs answered.

CNN ANCHOR: DID HARRIS ‘WAIT TOO LONG’ TO SCHEDULE HER FIRST INTERVIEW?

Video

Here are questions which Bash should pose to Harris:

1. President Biden named you as the lead in the effort to stem the flow of migrants across our southern border in March of 2021. That did not happen. Why?
2. How many people entered the country without invitation since you and Joe Biden took over?
3. What was your role in the withdrawal from Afghanistan?
4. In your acceptance speech you noted the horrors that occurred in Israel on 10/7 as well as the loss of innocent life in Gaza. Was it your intent to in any way equate the massacre on 10/7 with Israel’s actions in Gaza since then?
5. Did Israel have the right this past weekend to strike Hezbollah in a preemptive attack on the terrorists’ missile force?
6. Does Israel have the right to strike Iran to preempt another attack from Iran?
7. If Israel is attacked by Iran, would it be legitimate for Israel to destroy the oil export facilities on Kharg Island?
8. If China attempts to invade Taiwan, will American military force be used to defend the island nation?
9. Should the Supreme Court be expanded in its size?
10. How much of GDP should be spent on the Pentagon?
11. How do you fix the recruitment crisis our military is experiencing?
12. America’s ability to lead and indeed dominate in AI and supercomputing requires at least a doubling of our total domestic energy output. That is easiest to accomplish with new nuclear power plants.  Do you support building them?
13. You were absolutely against fracking in your 2019 presidential campaign. What is your policy on fracking now?
14. What is the highest marginal tax rate you want to see enacted into law and at what level of adjusted gross income should that rate apply?
15. What is the most significant issue on which you have disagreed with President Biden?

Note that these are all direct, simple questions. A rule of serious journalists is not to pose multiple questions at the same time and only the last question above includes a request for two answers as those answers are inextricably connected. One question at a time obliges the guest to focus and respond to that question. Bash is very good at her business. If she stays true to the mission of informing the public, an already excellent reputation will grow even stronger.

Kamala Harris hasn’t done a press interview since she forced Joe Biden off the ballot 37 days ago and she has no policies on her campaign website with just two months to go until Election Day.
Harris has stolen a few of Trump’s ideas so far because she knows the public won’t support her far-left radical plans.

Tulsi Gabbard Op-ed: Tulsi: I left the Democrat Party and will do all I can to return Donald Trump to the White House

Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard reacts to Kamala Harris’ DNC speech, reports that RFK. Jr. is slated to drop out of the 2024 race and endorse former President Trump and how Trump’s debate prep is going.

This morning, I had the privilege of visiting Arlington Cemetery with President Trump and the Gold Star families of SSG Hoover and SGT Gee, two of the thirteen servicemembers who were killed in the attack at Abbey Gate in Kabul three years ago today.

Being there with President Trump, honoring the lives of those who sacrificed all, I saw firsthand the sorrow he shared with the families left behind, expressing his sincere appreciation the sacrifices made by their loved ones, our brothers and sisters, who paid the ultimate price.

This is personal for me. My first deployment to Iraq was with the Hawaii Army National Guard in 2005 where I served in a medical unit, every day confronted with the high cost of war. We lost so many of our brothers and sisters who never made that long trip home, and others who did come home, only to lose them to suicide.

President Trump understands the grave responsibility that our President and Commander in Chief has for us and our families and values the lives of every one of us — Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and Coasties. He knows the cost of war. It’s not just lip service.  During his first term as President, he not only didn’t start any new wars, but he also took action to de-escalate tensions and prevent conflict. He understands the cost of war and has shown he will exhaust all measures of diplomacy, having the courage to meet with adversaries, dictators and allies alike in the pursuit of peace, seeing war as a last resort.

Video

The same cannot be said about Kamala Harris. In fact, the opposite is true. The Harris-Biden administration has us embroiled in multiple wars around the world and closer to nuclear war now than ever before. This is one of the main reasons I left the Democrat party, and will do all I can to elect Donald Trump to the presidency where I am confident, he will walk us back from the brink of war and put us on a path toward peace, freedom and prosperity.

DAVID MARCUS: 5 TAKEAWAYS FROM TRUMP VS. HARRIS AFTER A MONTH CRISSCROSSING THE USA

We cannot be prosperous unless we are at peace. And we cannot live free, so long as we have a government that retaliates against its political opponents, undermines our civil liberties, and weaponizes the powers of the government against those they deem a threat. Kamala Harris has shown over the last three and a half years that she will not hesitate to abuse her power to go after political opponents, foremost among them being President Trump. I am their most recent target — they recently placed me on a secret domestic terror watch list for exposing the truth about Kamala Harris’s disastrous record.

We must reject this anti-freedom culture of political retaliation. It goes against who we are and the principles our country was founded upon. We cannot allow our country to be destroyed by politicians who put their own power ahead of the interests of the American people and our country.

Whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, if you love our country, and cherish peace and freedom, I urge all Americans to join me in doing all we can to save our country and return President Trump to the White House.

Poetic License: How Press and Pundits are Reframing Personalities to Fit Our Politics

By: Jonathan Turley | August 26, 2024

Read more at https://jonathanturley.org/2024/08/26/poetic-license-how-press-and-pundits-are-reframing-personalities-to-fit-our-politics/

Below is my column in The Hill on the sudden embrace of bipartisanship in Washington … by some of the most partisan figures in our political system. Press and pundits are suddenly reframing Vice President Kamala Harris as a moderate while heralding Justice Amy Coney Barrett for her independence. It is enough to give you vertigo from the media and political spin.

Here is the column:

The late New York Gov. Mario Cuomo once famously observed that “you campaign in poetry; you govern in prose.“ One of the greatest poetic licenses in this election has been the claim of bipartisanship from some of the most rigid partisans in our politics.

Many in the media are reinventing history to appeal to citizens who want more moderation in government. This theme was picked up by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in his speech before the Democratic National Convention, when he claimed that Vice President Harris was not just a moderate but “never hesitated to reach across that aisle if it meant improving your lives, and she’s always done it with energy, with passion and with joy.”

Harris was one of the most liberal members of the Senate and was never viewed as someone likely to form a compromise on key votes. She was not one of the Democrats commonly referenced as moderates in that body on close votes. Harris was even rated to the left of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). After her ranking by GovTrack was cited widely in the media as showing her as the most liberal member of the Senate, the site took down the page, which had been up for years. Harris is now to be portrayed as a moderate, whether it is true or not.

What was so striking is that Harris was valued by supporters precisely for being so uncompromising and consistently voting with the left. In her prior unsuccessful presidential run, she moved even further left. Harris was the only candidate other than Sanders to say that she wanted to abolish private insurance plans, a position which, like so many others, she has now recanted.

These same advocates of bipartisanship are lionizing Republicans who support Harris while demonizing Robert Kennedy Jr. for doing the same for Trump. To them, one is a profile of courage, the other a profile of corruption.

The poetry of politics was also evident this week after Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the three liberal justices in voting in dissent in a case involving Arizona’s voter identification law. Barrett was praised for opposing the ruling to set aside a lower court order blocking enforcement of a 2022 law requiring registered voters to provide proof of citizenship. The majority (with the liberal justices) also blocked a provision that would have prevented tens of thousands of prior voters in Arizona from voting.

Conservatives were irate at Barrett, particularly after Virginia claimed to have found hundreds of non-citizens on its voting rolls. Other states such as Georgia found a smaller number of non-citizens registering to vote, but polls show widespread support for voter ID laws. None of that seemed to matter to Barrett, who ruled based on her conscience and understanding of the law. The left’s response to Barrett’s vote was the most telling. Her willingness to cross the ideological divide was celebrated. These are some of the same voices who denounced Barrett in her confirmation hearing as a robotic conservative stooge.

Few Democrats were willing to vote for this obviously qualified nominee. That included the newly minted moderate Harris, who voted “nay.”

While some of us at the time challenged this media narrative, given Barrett’s impressive scholarship and proven independence, she was denounced by senators, and her home was even targeted by protesters. Bloody dolls were thrown on her lawn with her young children inside after the location was revealed by activists. Some of these activists might even take credit for Barrett’s repeated votes with the left of the court. But it is not their coercion, but Barrett’s convictions that led to these votes. She has always been a jurist who shows a willingness to follow her principles wherever they take her.

Barrett continues (with Justices Roberts and Kavanaugh) to moderate many decisions with three colleagues on both ends of rulings. Roberts and Kavanaugh routinely rank as the most likely to vote with the majority of the court. This brings us back to the poetry. In her confirmation hearings, senators such as Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) attacked her nomination in the same way that they attacked the nomination of Justice Neil Gorsuch. Whitehouse portrayed both nominees as adding guaranteed votes for a conservative agenda, reading off the many decisions where conservatives voted as a block.

As I stated in my own testimony in the Gorsuch confirmation hearing, Whitehouse and his colleagues often seem to ignore that the liberal justices in those cases also voted like a block. Justice Sotomayor shows the same low percentage of voting with the opposite end of the court as do her colleagues Justices Alito and Thomas. Yet in her case, the pattern of voting was not viewed as partisan, but as simply getting cases right.

Both Gorsuch and Barrett have routinely voted with their liberal colleagues in major cases, despite the attacks of critics on their independence and integrity.

Most cases before the Supreme Court do not break along ideological lines, despite the portrayal in the media. Indeed, most are resolved unanimously (roughly half) or nearly unanimously by the court.

Take the 2023 cases. Only half of the 6-3 splits featured the six conservative and three liberal justices on opposite sides. Only eight percent (five of 57 cases) were decided 6-3 with the six Republican appointee/three Democratic split. The rest mixed up alliances. The least likely to join the majority of their colleagues were the three liberal justices, Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson.

The liberal justices, however, are rarely portrayed as ideologues in the media, which consistently portrays the court as controlled by a six-conservative block of rigid partisans. In reality, they are all conscientious jurists trying to get cases right from their jurisprudential viewpoints. The consistency in voting reflects their adherence to their fundamental principles.

Politicians and pundits, ignoring the facts, continue to claim that the court is dysfunctional and ideologically divided. When elections or nominations come along, Democrats attack those on the other side as refusing to compromise or “cross the aisle.”

Many value the poetry of bipartisanship in politics but demand the prose of strict partisanship in governance. Calling Harris a moderate and Barrett a partisan is just part of the poetic license of American politics.

Implementing destructive policies isn’t the only thing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have in common. Following the latter’s acceptance speech during Thursday’s Democratic National Convention, it’s clear America’s vice president has learned a thing or two about lying from her senile boss. From abortion to immigration, Harris parroted numerous falsehoods about her record and that of Donald Trump. In case you missed her lackluster screed, here’s a definitive list of the Democrat presidential nominee’s biggest whoppers.

[RELATED: Tracking Kamala Harris’ Biggest And Baddest Lies: 20 And Counting]

1. Jan. 6

Vice President Kamala Harris falsely claimed that Donald Trump “sent an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol” on Jan. 6. 2021, and further accused the former president of “fann[ing] the flames” after “politicians in his own party begged him to call off the mob and send help.”

That is false. During his J6 speech, Trump specifically telegraphed to protestors to “peacefully and patriotically make [their] voices heard.” Trump also released a video calling for peace during the riot and had previously sought to deploy thousands of National Guard members to the Capitol ahead of the demonstrations.

2. Supreme Court ‘Presidential Immunity’ Decision

Kamala Harris distorted the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on presidential immunity by claiming the decision means Trump “would be immune from criminal prosecution.”

“His explicit intent to jail journalists, political opponents and anyone he sees as the enemy. His explicit intent to deploy our active duty military against our own citizens,” Harris contended in a hyperbolic fashion. “Just imagine Donald Trump with no guardrails, and how he would use the immense powers of the presidency of the United States.”

The vice president’s claim is misleading at best. While a majority of justices determined that presidents possess “absolute immunity” for “actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority” and “at least presumptive immunity” for “official acts,” they separately noted that “[t]here is no immunity for unofficial acts.”

The justices further remanded the Biden-Harris Justice Department’s get-Trump lawfare back to the lower courts to determine whether the actions alleged by Special Counsel Jack Smith constitute “official acts.”

3. Trump’s Record on Entitlements

Kamala Harris claimed Donald Trump “tried to cut Social Security and Medicare.” Even The Washington Post’s so-called “fact-checkers” rated a previous version of this claim from the Harris-Walz campaign as “misleading.”

4. School Funding Statistics

During her DNC speech, Kamala Harris attacked Donald Trump for pledging to get rid of the Department of Education.

“We are not going to let him eliminate the Department of Education that funds our public schools,” Harris said.

As the left-wing “fact-checkers” would say, this statement “needs context.” While the federal government does finance public school systems, those funds typically account for less than 10 percent of taxpayer monies given to schools in a given year. During the 2019-2020 school year, for example, “47.5% of funding came from state governments, 44.9% came from local governments, and the federal government provided about 7.6% of school funding,” according to USA Facts.

5. ‘Middle Class’ Roots

Kamala Harris falsely claimed that she came from the “middle class.” As previously noted by journalist Megyn Kelly, Harris’ father was a professor at Stanford University, while her mother was a biomedical scientist at UC Berkley.

6. Trump’s Tax Cuts

Kamala Harris falsely insinuated that the 2017 tax cuts approved by the Trump administration disproportionately benefited America’s wealthiest citizens.

“[Trump] fights for himself and his billionaire friends,” Harris claimed. “And he will give them another round of tax breaks that will add up to $5 trillion to the national debt.”

That is not true. Data produced by the IRS has shown that “on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent,” according to The Hill.

7. Trump’s Tariff Policies

Kamala Harris claimed Donald Trump intends to impose a “national sales tax” on Americans that she contended will “raise prices on middle-class families by almost $4,000 a year.”

This claim is misleading and needs context. It appears Harris is citing figures from the left-wing Center for American Progress Action Fund, which, according to The New York Times, estimated that a potential policy “floated” by Trump to raise tariffs to 10 percent on most imports and at least 60 percent on Chinese imports could cost American families $3,900 a year. Other economic groups cited by the Times predict such policies would cost less than the figures estimated by the Center for American Progress Action Fund.

8. Nature of Abortion

The vice president falsely asserted that signing a federal law authorizing abortions nationwide would “restore reproductive freedom.” As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd accurately noted, however, the law would actually “subject thousands of babies and women, nearly 70 percent of whom felt their abortions were forced, unwanted, or contradicted their views, to harm.”

9. GOP Pro-Life Laws

Kamala Harris falsely claimed that Republican pro-life laws that protect thousands of unborn babies from elective abortions bar doctors from treating women dealing with a pregnancy-related health issue, such as a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

“I will tell you, over the past two years, I’ve traveled across our country, and women have told me their stories. Husbands and fathers have shared theirs. Stories of women miscarrying in a parking lot, developing sepsis, losing the ability to ever again have children, all because doctors are afraid they may go to jail for caring for their patients. Couples just trying to grow their family, cut off in the middle of IVF treatments,” Harris claimed.

As The Federalist previously reported, “[t]here is a clear legal distinction between an induced abortion, which deliberately intends to end the life of the baby, and the medically classified ‘spontaneous abortions’ such as an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, or early delivery with the intent of saving the baby and mother.” Furthermore, every pro-life law currently in effect contains exceptions allowing abortions when necessary to save the pregnant mother’s life.

10. Trump’s Position on Abortion

Kamala Harris untruthfully accused Donald Trump of attempting to “enact a nationwide abortion ban, with or without Congress,” designate “a national anti-abortion coordinator,” “force states to report on women’s miscarriages and abortions,” “limit access to birth control,” and outlaw a popular and dangerous abortion drug regime.

As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd previously noted, Trump has regularly taken the position that laws limiting the murder of children in the womb should be left “up to the states.” He’s voiced opposition to signing a federal law curbing abortion and his vice-presidential pick J.D. Vance “similarly claimed the pill responsible for a 500 percent increase in abortion-related emergency room visits should remain legal and ‘accessible.’”

11. IVF

Kamala Harris falsely insinuated that Donald Trump is to blame if couples are “cut off in the middle of IVF treatments.”

As The Federalist previously reported, “Trump has openly touted in vitro fertilization, even though it is marred with ethical and moral pitfalls, as a procedure that Republicans and pro-life conservatives should promote.”

“Trump has openly touted in vitro fertilization, even though it is marred with ethical and moral pitfalls, as a procedure that Republicans and pro-life conservatives should promote.”

12. Disastrous Border Bill

Kamala Harris lied when claiming that a congressional immigration bill proposed and defeated earlier this year is the “the strongest border bill in decades.”

That statement is categorically false. The bipartisan measure would have enshrined the existing invasion into federal law.

13. Trump’s NATO Comments

While falsely claiming that Donald Trump “encouraged [Vladimir] Putin to invade our allies,” Kamala Harris distorted the former president’s remarks by claiming he told Russia it could “do whatever the hell [it] want[s].” Harris’ characterization of Trump’s remarks is as inaccurate as when her boss said it during his State of the Union address earlier this year.

Trump’s remarks came during a South Carolina rally, during which he recounted a story from when he was president and speaking with a NATO member. Trump purportedly told this state that he would withhold U.S. support if they didn’t pay their minimum defense spending obligations.

“‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent?’” Trump recalled telling the unidentified NATO member. “‘No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay. You gotta pay your bills.’”

14. America’s Enemies

Kamala Harris claimed “tyrants and dictators like Kim Jong-un” are “rooting” for Donald Trump to win this November.

While there is no definitive way for Harris to know this, the actions of America’s biggest adversaries in the years since she and Biden assumed the White House suggests the exact opposite. Thus far, Russia has invaded Ukraine, Iran-backed Hamas launched a deadly terrorist attack on Israel, North Korea disavowed potential peace with South Korea, and China has ramped up its threats toward Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines.

16 State AGs Sue Biden Admin Over Amnesty for 1M Illegals

By Mark Swanson    |   Friday, 23 August 2024 02:53 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/states-lawsuit-joe-biden/2024/08/23/id/1177682/

Attorneys General from Texas, Idaho, and 14 other states filed suit against the Biden-Harris administration on Friday over a new policy that would allow 1 million illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship without having to first leave the United States.

America First Legal also joined the lawsuit against the policy titled “Keeping Families Together,” which took effect on Monday. The policy, first announced by the White House in June, would allow 500,000 families and another 50,000 stepchildren under 21, already in the country illegally, to apply for lawful permanent residence while paroling in place.

The AGs and Stephen Miller of AFL said that violates the Administrative Procedures Act, among other issues.

“Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the federal government is actively working to turn the United States into a nation without borders and a country without laws. I will not let this happen. Biden’s new parole workaround unilaterally grants the opportunity for citizenship to unvetted aliens whose first act on American soil was to break our laws. This violates the Constitution and actively worsens the illegal immigration disaster that is hurting Texas and our country,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement.

AGs from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming also joined onto the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

The suit accuses the Biden-Harris administration — “dissatisfied with the system Congress created, and for blatant political purposes” — of trying to create its own immigration system.

Further, it says “DHS ‘cannot use that power to parole aliens en masse,’ which is precisely what PIP amounts to.” The suit says that the policy “incentivizes illegal immigration.”

Said Miller, “It is brazenly unlawful, a deadly accelerant to the ruinous border invasion, and we will use every lawful tool to stop it.”

The College Graduates’ Presidential Candidate Doesn’t Know Economic History

Learning isn’t necessarily cumulative. Human experience over the centuries provides lessons, some clearer than others. But each generation has to learn lessons anew, and some do not. The lessons about economic growth taught over the long run of history are clear. Growth is not inevitable, and while riches may be accumulated, or appropriated, by the few in high positions, the lives of the very large majority throughout the centuries have been nasty, brutish, and short.

The exception, the Great Enrichment, began some three centuries ago around the North Sea in the Dutch Republic and in England, according to economic historian Deirdre McCloskey, in societies when people began respecting and encouraging commerce rather than resenting and scorning it. They discovered that when people exchanged goods and services in free markets, with property rights secured by limited government and the rule of law, economies could grow in ways that improved the lives of not just the few but the many. Suddenly, and not just for a moment, the great masses of people went from living on $3 a day, just barely subsistence—and in times of famine or war, not even that—to $130 a day.

The 20th century proved full of lessons for how to produce extended and widely distributed economic growth—and how to squelch it. Growth occurs when free markets are allowed to operate in societies with high levels of trust and the rule of law. It ceases, and living standards plummet, in societies where governments flood the economy with currency, try to control wages and prices, impose centralized economic planning, and outlaw voluntary market transactions.

Governments sometimes impose such measures temporarily in wartime, with various results depending on the course of the war. In peacetime, the results are destructive—in Weimar Germany, the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong’s China, and, most recently, oil-rich Venezuela. And, perhaps, in Kamala Harris’ America. Since President Joe Biden ended his candidacy for reelection four weeks ago, the vice president has said remarkably little about what policies she would pursue as president. Her website has had no issues section. She has taken almost no questions and has undergone nothing like an intensive interview from the press—most members of which, in their enthusiasm for her candidacy, have shown no discomfort at her neglect.

Only last Friday did she begin talking issues, announcing “the first-ever federal ban on price gouging”—she read the word as “gauging”—on food and groceries. Presumably, this was an attempt to address an obvious vulnerability for any candidate with a Biden-Harris pedigree, the fact that administration policy, by showering money on consumers already flooded with lockdown-accumulated cash, stoked inflation that no voter under 60 had experienced as an adult.

But of course, this made no sense. The grocery business is highly competitive, with low profit margins. If one firm “gouges” consumers too much, they can go elsewhere. “It’s hard to exaggerate how bad this policy is,” wrote The Washington Post’s Catherine Rampell. “At best, this would lead to shortages, black markets, and hoarding.”

Rampell has since taken a different view after Harris’ actual speech backpedaled from her campaign’s fact sheet, but her initial take remains persuasive and in line with historic experience, including with the price controls imposed by former President Richard Nixon 53 years ago this month.

Similarly, economically illiterate is Harris’ proposal to give first-time homebuyers a $25,000 government subsidy. Just as colleges and universities have vacuumed up government-subsidized college loans for their own purposes, so obviously developers and home sellers are going to raise their asking prices by $25,000 and pocket the subsidy.

As Jason Furman, head of former President Barack Obama’s second-term Council of Economic Advisers, said of the price gouging announcement, “This is not sensible policy, and I think the biggest hope is that it ends up being a lot of rhetoric and no reality.”

Is it fair to argue that Harris has learned nothing from the dismal history of price controls on the basis of just one proposal? Yes, if it’s just the only thing she has proposed in a whole month as the de facto and de jure Democratic nominee for president. And yes, as she has never personally renounced the similarly outlandish promises she made in 2019 in her campaign for the 2020 nomination—a ban on fracking, defunding the police, abolishing private health insurance, “snatching” drug company patents. Tweets from anonymous staffers ditching these policies don’t count.

The delicious irony here is that the party favored by college graduates, many of them smugly confident of their knowledge and wisdom, is nominating a candidate who has shown no sign of learning from the dismal history of economic ukases.

Learning isn’t necessarily cumulative.

‘Tim Walz Reenlisted After 9/11’ Is the Latest Lie About His Military Record

When Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was introduced as Kamala Harris’ running mate, the campaign presented him as a bonified patriot, a career National Guardsman who retired as a command sergeant major after 24 years of faithful service to his country, including a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Walz enlisted two days after his 17th birthday in April 1981. As Walz tells it, when the planes hit the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001, the attack compelled him to reenlist in lieu of his 20-year retirement, to carry out his patriotic duty to serve his country in a time of war. He then retired in 2005, years after his service obligation for retirement was satisfied. But in fact, just like claims that he served in war, or retired as a command sergeant major, the story as Walz tells it is not true.

Serving in Combat and Rank

Walz is a serial fabulist. On Aug. 6, the same day Harris announced Walz as her choice for running mate, the Harris campaign posted a video on X in which Walz stated, “We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, are only carried in war.” Turns out Walz “misspoke.” To put it in more natural terms, he lied. On day one, the first video of Kamala Harris’ vice-presidential candidate released by the campaign contained within it a blatant lie about his military service that stepped right up to the line of what most military veterans would consider to be stolen valor.

The campaign’s pathetic explanation — that In his 24 years of service, the Governor carried, fired and trained others to use weapons of war innumerable times — did little to assuage the “spidey” senses of millions of normal people.

Other stories about Walz’s service began to fall apart under the enhanced scrutiny. He did not retire as a command sergeant major — he retired as a master sergeant, because he left before fulfilling his contractual obligation to complete the Sergeants Major Academy, a requirement to hold the rank to which he was conditionally frocked in September 2004.

Reenlisting after 9/11

My initial reaction to the narrative that Walz reenlisted after 9/11 out of a sense of patriotism was confusion, as his date of enlistment was April 1981 and one would expect, absent unusual circumstances involving extensions or breaks in service, his 20-year retirement date would have been April 2001 and any reenlistment or extension would’ve had to have been executed in April, months prior to Sept. 11, 2001.

So, I looked into it. On Nov. 2, 2009, Walz sat down with a historian from the Library of Congress Veterans History Project to memorialize his service as a military veteran. During the course of Walz’s description of his service to his country, he related the following regarding his decision to reenlist after the 9/11 attacks:

My 20 years was actually, ironically enough, up that week of September 11, 2001, because of the time I had off and made up, so I reenlisted like, I think, the vast majority people did with a real uncertainty but wanting to with a real sense of wanting to do something.

That was a lie.

But there’s more. Three years earlier, in response to a letter to the editor of the Winona Daily News written by Tom Hagen, an Iraqi war combat veteran and former colleague of Walz in the 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery of the Minnesota Army National Guard, in which Hagen questioned Walz’s decision to retire within two months of receiving a warning order for his battalion to deploy to Iraq, Walz wrote the following:

After completing 20 years of service in 2001, I re-enlisted to serve our country for an additional four years following Sept. 11 and retired the year before my battalion was deployed to Iraq in order to run for Congress.

That, too, was a lie. Both of those quotes have been exclusively linked in news media stories as citations to support reporting that Walz “reenlisted after 9/11 when he could have retired, having reached 20 years of service in 2001.” If you Google “Tim Walz reenlisted after 9/11,” you’ll find pages upon pages of publications parroting the story Walz has told since his retirement in 2005. It’s not true.

CNN’s Dana Bash, during an interview with GOP vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance, repeated the Walz lie as follows: “Governor Walz served 24 years — he even stayed after he could’ve retired because of 9/11 — more than the country asked of him. Do you honor his service?”

Walz did not complete 20 years of service in September 2001. He didn’t “stay after he could’ve retired” because he wasn’t eligible to retire.

According to Walz’s Report of Separation and Record of Service, he was put on “ING” — Inactive National Guard — from Dec. 1, 1989, to July 12, 1990, a total of 7 months and 12 days of inactive service. Walz was reportedly teaching school in China during that period.

The Report of Separation also denotes a discrepancy between his “Total Service for Pay” and “Total Service for Retirement Pay.” That difference is 7 months and 12 days.

Had Walz wanted to retire after 20 years of service, he would not be eligible to do so until at least 7 months and 12 days after his enlistment anniversary date of April 8, 1981, barring further breaks in service or failure to acquire training and participation points to meet his annual obligations.

This would have put his eligible retirement date at Nov. 20, 2001, at the earliest — more than a month after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. At a minimum, Walz was blatantly lying in his Library of Congress Veterans Project interview about being eligible to retire, “ironically,” the week of Sept. 11, 2001.

But there’s more.

In response to media inquiries regarding the confusion around Walz’s service record, Army Col. Ryan Cochran, Minnesota National Guard’s Director of Manpower and Personnel, released the following information to the media on Aug. 13, 2024:

Media Members-

“Governor Tim Walz received his notification of eligibility for retirement on August 3, 2002. He was promoted to sergeant major (E-9) on September 17, 2004. and immediately began serving as the command sergeant major for the 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery while his packet was submitted to the National Guard Bureau to appoint him to command sergeant major (E-9). Once approved by NGB. he was laterally appointed to command sergeant major (E-9) on April 1, 2005. He retired from the Minnesota National Guard on May 16, 2005. Our records do not indicate when he made his request to retire. Leadership reviews and approves all requests to retire. He was administratively reduced to master sergeant (E-8) on May 15, 2005, because he did not complete all required U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy coursework.”

Take note of the first line — “Governor Tim Walz received his notification of eligibility for retirement on August 3, 2002.” This date apparently reflects additional service requirements in addition to making up his inactive time in China.

Walz would have been aware that he wasn’t eligible to retire “the same week as Sept. 11, 2001,” nor even the same year.

He simply wasn’t eligible to retire in 2001. The story we’ve been told by Walz, the Harris campaign, and the media is riddled with lies and misrepresentations of his service. He has, in two short weeks, proven to be an inveterate liar.

Release His Military Records

As is always the case when one leads with a lie, the question that needs to be answered is obvious — what else is he lying about? Will Bash and the hundreds of publications that perpetuated this lie correct the record and inform the public that the National Guard has refuted Walz’s characterization of the circumstances of his reenlistment?

Reporters with any sense of journalistic responsibility will want to ask Walz to either release all of his military records or at least reveal the date of his reenlistment in 2001 and the date he submitted his retirement papers in 2005.

Did he reenlist before (in his anniversary month of April) or after 9/11? Did he extend his service in April 1991 to cover the time he needed to retire at 20 years? How many years did he reenlist for? Did he receive a bonus for reenlisting and, if so, did he pay back the portion of the bonus for the time he cut off when he retired early?

What’s clear is that the Walz we were introduced to weeks ago — the soldier who reenlisted after 9/11 out of a patriotic duty to serve his country at war, who carried weapons in war, who deployed “in support of Operation Enduring Freedom” and retired as a command sergeant major — bears little resemblance to the Walz we have come to know later.

The retired command sergeant major is now a retired master sergeant. The patriotic reenlistment after 9/11 when he could have retired is now a mandatory reenlistment in 2001 after failing to meet his service requirement to retire after 20 years. The war veteran who carried weapons in war in support of Operation Enduring Freedom is now a soldier who deployed to Vicenza, Italy, to pull guard duty on front gates and crosswalks.

Walz said that he’s proud — “damn proud” — of his military service. But it’s clear that Walz’s pride is reserved for the noble service of the imaginary retired sergeant major, combat veteran he created for sale to the public — we’ve heard a lot about that guy. He doesn’t seem to have a sliver of pride for the real Walz — the retired master sergeant who left his unit two months before his only opportunity to serve his country and lead his troops in war. He hid that Walz from the public for two decades.

There will be more — it’s inevitable when dealing with a compulsive liar. What remains to be seen is whether or not the media has any interest in seeking answers to the obvious questions surrounding the legend of retired Master Sergeant Tim Walz.

Really, Walz lies a lot. Yet, a political press that not very long ago featured “lie counters” on chyrons for Donald Trump is awash in euphemisms to cover for Walz’s deceptions.

It’s one thing to exaggerate your political accomplishments or lie about your political opponents. Walz isn’t the first politician to spin some fiction about a drunk driving arrest. All in the game.

Lying about serving in war, on the other hand, is a shameful appropriation of bravery and honor. Years ago, it was unlikely a candidate could recover from the indignity of misleading the public about his military service. Today, apparently, it’s no big deal. Walz, picked by Kamala Harris two weeks ago as a running mate, won’t even answer any genuine questions about his history of misleading voters.

And make no mistake, Walz isn’t being “accused” of lying by the GOP, as so many in the press contend. He’s been caught on tape. Indeed, Walz, who also often misrepresented his rank, spent years — at best — allowing voters to believe he’d courageously gone off to Iraq or Afghanistan when in fact he was in Italy, and then avoided deployment to enter politics.

Lying about fighting in a war is unethical and dishonorable. It’s nothing new. Lying about how your children were conceived to score some cheap political points is sort of demented.

“Thank God for IVF. My wife and I have two beautiful children,” Walz told MSNBC not long ago. In April, Walz sent out a fund-raising letter that claimed: “My wife and I used I.V.F. to start a family.’’

Walz’s claim that his family used in vitro fertilization to conceive was not some throwaway line. The IVF scaremongering is a central issue for Democrats. Numerous speakers at the DNC have warned that Donald Trump wants to ban IVF, an accusation that has no basis in reality.

Numerous pieces have focused on the IVF tribulations of the Walz family. “Already, Walz has captivated crowds in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan with the story of his daughter’s birth, made possible through in vitro fertilization treatments,” the Associated Press reported on Aug. 8 in a piece headlined “In 60-year-old Tim Walz, Kamala Harris found a partner to advocate for reproductive rights.”

In one video, you can watch Walz even getting emotional talking about IVF.” “I remember it like it was yesterday,” the veep candidate claims. “I’m not crying, you’re crying.”

This is sociopathic behavior, because, in truth, the Walzes never used IVF; they used IUI, which is not fraught with the moral questions surrounding the destruction of embryos. It’s a fertility procedure in which sperm is placed in the uterus during ovulation to increase the chances of pregnancy. A big difference.

Or, in other words, Walz relied on IVF in the same way he carried an AR-15 in “war” (which was a lie twice over, incidentally, since semiauto AR-15s aren’t used in combat by Americans who deploy to war zones.)

Wherever you stand on the issue of IVF, it’s clear that Walz used his children as cudgels against Catholics and other orthodox Christians who oppose the practice of IVF on moral grounds and tend to vote for Republicans.

Now, there is always the small chance that Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota and vice presidential candidate of the United States, was unaware of which procedure was being used to help conceive his children. If that’s the case, he’s too dumb to be in office.

So how does the media frame this revelation?

The New York Times contends that the Walz camp has “clarified” his statements. An Axios piece on the matter is headlined, “Gwen Walz sheds light on fertility journey, clarifies they did not use IVF.” CNN says, “Gwen Walz reveals she underwent a different treatment, not IVF, in new details about fertility struggles.”

She revealed new details? What are they talking about? Tim Walz was caught lying about IVF and now his camp is compelled to admit it. They aren’t “shedding light” on their “fertility journey” or “clarifying” a story. This wasn’t hyperbole or “sloppy” rhetoric, just a lie.

A weird, demented lie.

Lila Ross Op-ed: DNC’s hellish abortion rituals celebrate death, the party’s true agenda

As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) unfolds in Chicago this week, the true agenda of the abortion industry is on full display — an agenda that seeks to convince people that pregnancy is a disease and that motherhood is a curse.

These are lies, plain and simple. Motherhood and family are some of the most meaningful and beautiful experiences anyone can have, bringing joy and fulfillment. But the DNC, backed by the abortion industry, has chosen a different path, one that celebrates the killing of innocent children as some twisted form of empowerment.

Planned Parenthood has set up a mobile abortion facility right outside the convention hall, distributing drugs that destroy children from a van. The Planned Parenthood abortion van is horrifically distributing deadly abortion drugs as freely as a food truck serves tacos. Reportedly, at least 25 babies have been killed by abortion, so far, right outside the DNC.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD OFFERING FREE ABORTIONS, VASECTOMIES AT DNC

Twenty-five helpless lives were sacrificed at the altar of so-called “choice.” All under the guise of a grotesque carnival-like atmosphere. Planned Parenthood, always eager to serve its own interests, even offered these abortions for free—a sickening promotion that reveals the true nature of this death cult. And let’s not mince words—this is a death cult, complete with its own rituals and mockery of life. Outside the DNC, protesters are dressed as abortion pills, chanting in unison, turning their love of death into a macabre spectacle.

The act of ending a human life has been trivialized to the point of absurdity, packaged as some sort of liberation for women. But there is no freedom in killing your child—only slavery to an anti-life ideology that tells women that motherhood is something to be feared and avoided at all costs.

The act of ending a human life has been trivialized to the point of absurdity, packaged as some sort of liberation for women. But there is no freedom in killing your child—only slavery to an anti-life ideology that tells women that motherhood is something to be feared and avoided at all costs.

This is not the Democratic Party of “safe, legal, and rare” that even Hillary Clinton once touted. We’ve moved far beyond that, to a place where the DNC is now openly celebrating abortion as a positive good.

CHICAGO GETS ‘WEIRD’ FOR DNC WITH ABORTION TRUCKS, INFLATABLE IUD AND FREE VASECTOMIES, CONSERVATIVES SAY

The extremes they are willing to go to are shocking. They are exposing themselves for what they truly are—a group more concerned with advancing a radical pro-death agenda than with protecting the most vulnerable among us.

But what about the lives of those 25 children who were aborted at the DNC? What about the babies who will continue to be killed as the convention continues? Do they not deserve to be mourned? Do they not deserve to live?

Video

These are the questions we must reckon with as we witness this brutal display, because this is not what Americans want. Most Americans desire strong families, meaningful lives, and the opportunity to thrive—not the cold, heartless killing that Planned Parenthood and their friends at the DNC are promoting.

Planned Parenthood denies this reality, but there is a method that can possibly save a child’s life after the first abortion pill has been taken, called Abortion Pill Reversal. The abortion pill (chemical abortion) makes up over 60% of all abortions now, and everyone needs to know about the abortion pill reversal protocol and share it with mothers in need.

Video

It is the worst human rights crisis of our time that over 2,800 children are killed every single day by abortion in our nation alone. Our leaders should be working to protect kids, not making it ever easier to end their lives.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them. The DNC has shown us its true colors, and it is up to us to reject this culture of death and protect every human life.

Trump: Return US Strength by Defeating Harris

By Sandy Fitzgerald    |   Wednesday, 21 August 2024 03:45 PM EDT

Former President Donald Trump, speaking Wednesday at his first outdoor rally after he was injured in an assassination attempt July 13, spoke out about national security, taunting Democrat nominee Kamala Harris as “comrade,” and promising that if he’s elected, the U.S. will return to a position of global strength.

“She’ll destroy our country just like she destroyed San Francisco,” he said of Harris at the rally in Asheville, North Carolina, where he stood behind bulletproof glass. “With the Trump victory, we will once again have the greatest economy in history. We’re going to do things that are going to make us so great, so fast. We’re going to bring it back.”

Trump pointed to numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in which it was determined Wednesday that 818,000 jobs that “don’t exist” were reported under Harris and President Joe Biden.

“They built them up so that they could say what a wonderful job they’re doing,” said Trump. “They wanted this to come out after Nov. 5, so it wouldn’t have meant so much.”

But “Comrade Kamala,” as Trump has been calling Harris, is the “most radical left person ever to run for high political office in our country,” and if she wins in November, “millions of jobs will vanish overnight,” he said.

“Inflation will completely destroy our country,” Trump said. “We’ll have inflation worse than they’ve given us. … I had virtually no inflation. And now their numbers are up to 22%, 23%, but their real number is probably 40 to 50%.”

The Biden-Harris administration, he added, has done a “terrible job for our country in every single way. There’s not a thing they’ve done well except cheat and lie.”

This included the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, with Harris continuing to stress that she was the last person in the room when Biden made his decision, said Trump.

“Four years ago, our country was strong and respected like never before,” he said. “Our allies admired us, our enemies feared us because everyone knew that as an American president, I was all about putting America first. But these people don’t have any idea what they’re doing.”

As a result, 13 service members were “tragically and needlessly killed” at the Bagram airport during the withdrawal, and 45 others were horrifically wounded.”

Further, Trump said, “$85 billion worth of the best military equipment anywhere in the world was handed over to these people. Afghanistan is now one of the largest arms merchants anywhere in the world … you have to ask yourself, who bought all that stuff in the first place? Who bought it all?”

The “calamity,” he added, is on Harris’ shoulders.

“What they’ve done to this country is incredible,” Trump said. “But she bragged that she would be the last person in the room. And she was. … I’m the one that got the soldiers down to 5,000 people. I was going to do it, but we were going to get out last. You don’t pull the soldiers out first. You let the soldiers stay last.”

Trump also insisted that while he was in office, “our adversaries knew that America was not to be trifled with.”

He pointed out that he got along with leaders such as Vladimir Putin in Russia and Xi Jinping in China, and said that if he had stayed in office, their aggressions would not be happening.

“Putin would have never gone into Ukraine,” Trump said. “Israel would have never been attacked. It’s a sad, sad situation. So many people are dead. So many people are gone, so many cities. … I really believe that the Afghan disaster, what happened, the stupidity and the way we pulled out and the bedlam and all of that, it would have been very smooth. We were going to get out with strength and dignity. But when Putin saw that, he said, ‘Wow, those people don’t know what they’re doing.'”

Kamala Harris’ Authoritarian ‘Joy’

By: Ben Shapiro | August 21, 2024

We’ve been told, over and over and over again, that Kamala Harris is the candidate of “joy.” Tim Walz, upon accepting his vice-presidential nomination, thanked her for “bringing back the joy.” Rolling Stone gushed that Harris’ “new politics of joy is the best way to fight fascism.” The New York Times headlined, “Harris used to worry about laughing. Now joy is fueling her campaign.”

Now, for most Americans, this simply is not a time of joy.

Not a single poll shows more than 35% believing that the country is moving in the right direction. Two thirds of Americans think America is on the wrong track. Meanwhile, the supposed candidate of joy has the approval of approximately 46% of Americans; almost 50% are unfavorable on her.

Three years of extraordinary inflation means that everyday items now cost at least 20% more than they did in 2021. Uncertainty and chaos span the globe, from Ukraine to Taiwan to the Middle East. Americans no longer know whether they can safely say that a man is different than a woman while simultaneously being informed that it is deeply important that they elect a woman president.

But … joy.

It’s a brilliant marketing gimmick, to be sure. Kamala Harris’ career has been filled with three marked characteristics:

  • blatant and manipulative calculation;
  • heavy-handed government interventionism;
  • and awkward, off-putting mannerisms ranging from word salad to laughter.

But “joy” can be used as a shield against all these charges. She’s not manipulative—she’s genuine! She’s not tyrannical—she’s caring! She’s not awkward and phony—she’s joyous! That laughter you hear isn’t the strange cackling of a machine politician caught in a lie. It’s a sheer outburst of happiness springing directly from the heart of a woman who is dancing on the inside. She is youth, she is joy, she is a little bird that has broken out of the egg!

Joy is also a sword to be used against opponents. Donald Trump, we are told, is a candidate of darkness and revenge. JD Vance, his vice presidential candidate, is “weird” and authoritarian. Why can’t they feel the joy?

In fact, why don’t you feel the joy? Is something wrong with you? Why can’t you bob your head to Beyoncé’s “Freedom” while Kamala dances and Tim Walz pastes on a smile so broad it would turn Jack Nicholson’s Joker green with envy? Do you hate joy?

All of this is, to put it mildly, slightly sinister.

It is one thing to demand that Americans vote for a candidate for the presidency on the basis of her policies, or even on the basis of her opponent’s supposed unworthiness. It is another to demand that we feel the joy. It reeks of authoritarians of the past, all of whom suggested that the failures of their policies were not failures of leadership, but failure of the people to change their hearts of stone for hearts of flesh.

It is not a coincidence that Josef Stalin’s propaganda posters routinely featured small children gazing adoringly up at him, with the slogan emblazoned, “We Are Warmed by Stalin’s Affection!” Or that Mao’s posters similarly featured celebratory children, with the words, “Mao’s Words Bring Joy!” Or that Hitler offered free vacations to members of the German Labour Front with the slogan, “Strength Through Joy!” (One legacy of “Strength Through Joy” was the German “People’s Car,” later to be known as the Volkswagen Beetle.)

Authoritarians demand emotional fealty, not merely political fealty.

This doesn’t mean that Kamala Harris is a Stalinist, Maoist, or Nazi (although members of the radical Democratic Party base seem to be warm toward aspects of all three regimes).

It does mean that authoritarianism papers over its totalitarian policies with the soothing platitudes of paternalism and maternalism and demands that you sacrifice the true joys in life—family, church, community—in favor of a Big Brother. Or, in the case of Kamala Harris, a Big Mother.

Just feel the joy. And stop asking questions.

Food Industry Execs Decry Harris’ Price Control Plan

By Nicole Wells    |   Tuesday, 20 August 2024 01:36 PM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/kamala-harris-economics-food-industry/2024/08/20/id/1177218/

Executives in the food industry challenged Vice President Kamala Harris’ claim that they are to blame for the soaring cost of groceries, calling her government price control plan “a solution in search of a problem.” Harris, who is the Democrat nominee for president, accused food companies of “price gouging” and said that price controls were needed to bring down Americans’ grocery bills and check corporate greed.

Food executives told The Wall Street Journal that high inflation has driven up labor and raw materials costs and spurred price increases. They also said that healthy profit margins are needed to finance the development of new products.

“We understand why there is this sticker shock and why it’s upsetting,” Andy Harig, a vice president at FMI, a food retailer and supplier trade group, said. “But to automatically just say there’s got to be something nefarious, I think to us that is oversimplified.”

During the Biden-Harris administration, inflation has raised overall costs by about 19%, with food prices going up 21% under Democrat control of the executive branch.

If she were to be elected president, Harris said she would ban price gouging by grocery stores and food suppliers by authorizing the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general to penalize companies that violate the policy.

Republican rival and former President Donald Trump slammed Harris’ “Communist price control” policy, saying the proposal would create “rationing, hunger, [and] dramatically more inflation.”

The National Grocers Association told the Journal that Harris’ plan to ban food price gouging “is a solution in search of a problem.”

In a Friday opinion piece, The Washington Post editorial board knocked Harris’ proposal, calling it a “populist gimmick” when the nation is in need of “serious economic ideas.”

“Vice President Kamala Harris’s speech Friday was an opportunity to get specific with voters about how a Harris presidency would manage an economy that many feel is not working well for them,” the board wrote. “Unfortunately, instead of delivering a substantial plan, she squandered the moment on populist gimmicks. Americans are clearly still anxious and angry about the high cost of groceries, housing and even $5.29 Big Macs.’

“While the inflation rate has cooled substantially since the 2022 peak, an ostensible Biden-Harris administration accomplishment, prices remain elevated relative to the Trump years,” the board said. “So, it’s a real political issue for Ms. Harris. One way to handle it might be to level with voters, telling them that inflation spiked in 2021 mainly because the pandemic snarled supply chains, and that the Federal Reserve’s policies, which the Biden-Harris administration supported, are working to slow it. The vice president instead opted for a less forthright route: Blaming big business. She vowed to go after ‘price gouging’ by grocery stores, landlords, pharmaceutical companies and other supposed corporate perpetrators by having the Federal Trade Commission enforce a vaguely defined ‘federal ban on price gouging.’

“Never mind that many stores are currently slashing prices in response to renewed consumer bargain hunting,” it continued. “Ms. Harris says she’ll target companies that make ‘excessive’ profits, whatever that means. (It’s hard to see how groceries, a notoriously low-margin business, would qualify.) Thankfully, this gambit by Ms. Harris has been met with almost instant skepticism, with many critics citing President Richard M. Nixon’s failed price controls from the 1970s. Whether the Harris proposal wins over voters remains to be seen, but if sound economic analysis still matters, it won’t.”

A.F. Branco Cartoon—VP Candidate Tim Walz has been to China over 30 times, lived there, and where he spent his Honeymoon. He has been pushing to send more jobs there from America while excusing their genocide policies, ignoring the fact that they have killed over 200,000 Americans with their Fentanyl coming across the border. Kamala Harris Chooses VP with Deep Ties to Communist China: Tim Walz Visited China Over 30 Times, Had a Special Work Visa, Set Up a Student Program to Travel in China, and even Honeymooned There

By Jim Hoft – August 7, 2024

Kamala Harris has selected Tim Walz as her running mate for the upcoming election.
This decision raises serious concerns about national security and the integrity of American values, given Walz’s radical policies and extensive ties to Communist China.
Senior reporter Paul Sperry from RealClear Investigations recently uncovered a disturbing pattern in Walz’s relationship with China.
According to investigative journalist Paul Sperry on X, Walz traveled to China annually from 1996 until at least 2003. His travels were not merely for tourism; he was granted a special work visa by the Chinese government, which raises questions about his loyalties and motivations. During his time in China, he reportedly expressed a deep admiration for the country.

Joe Biden Admits to Secretly Flying 320,000 Illegals into the United States

By Jordan Conradson – March 7, 2024

Trump ICE Director Tom Homan will testify in a House Judiciary Committee hearing alongside Center for Immigration Studies’s Art Arthur and America First Legal Executive Director Gene Hamilton to examine Joe Biden’s handling of the illegal immigration crisis.
The hearing “will examine how the Biden Administration has systematically dismantled effective border security measures and has stymied aggressive enforcement of the immigration laws in the interior of the United States” and “how President Biden can mitigate the border crisis by using mechanisms that currently exist within immigration law,” according to the Judiciary Committee’s webpage.
This hearing comes after the horrific murder of Georgia college student Laken Riley by an illegal alien suspect named Jose Ibarra. Countless Americans have been raped and murdered by the illegals that Biden rolled out the red carpet for.

Laphonza Butler, the junior U.S. senator of California, appeared on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ this weekend and was asked by host Dana Bash about Kamala Harris changing her views on a laundry list of major issues.
Butler tried to spin this by suggesting that Harris is changing her opinions because she is learning new things. This answer was beyond generous.
Harris is not changing her mind about minor issues because she is reading books and speaking to experts. She is doing a total 180 degree turn on major issues because she thinks they could sink her campaign.

On Thursday, the Biden administration marked the second anniversary of the passage of the so-called Inflation (Reduction) Act (IRA) by announcing the results of the first round of “negotiations” between Medicare and pharmaceutical manufacturers. According to the announcement, Medicare will save an estimated $6 billion on the selected prescription drugs in 2026, when the price controls take effect, with seniors saving another $1.5 billion in out-of-pocket costs.

But as with many things in Washington, things aren’t what they appear. For starters, these “negotiations” were conducted on anything but a level playing field. As noted previously, these “negotiations” included a maximum price the government must pay — meaning price controls — with companies that do not want to participate in this rigged process facing the option of taxes of up to 1,900 percent of the revenue of the products in question or dropping out of the Medicare and Medicaid programs entirely.

To put it bluntly, “the program represents a ‘negotiation’ in the same way a robber ‘negotiates’ with employees at the bank.” Other elements of this process to establish socialist-style price controls make it far less ideal than advertised.

Democrats Used the Cash Grab to Fund Climate Pork

As noted, the administration claimed Medicare will save money from the “negotiations.” But where will that money go? Not to seniors, that’s for sure.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the IRA cut Medicare spending by a net $254.8 billion. That money didn’t go back into Medicare but instead funded other programs created in the law, such as myriad climate pork projects and money for 87,000 new Internal Revenue Service employees to audit taxpayers (including seniors).

The left will try to claim the law doesn’t reduce Medicare benefits, which misses the point entirely. The law takes dollars dedicated to helping seniors and instead spends that money on other totally unrelated projects. At a time the Medicare program remains functionally insolvent, Democrats’ raid actively harmed seniors by diverting dollars that could have been used to bolster the program’s solvency.

As harmful as they were, Congress’s actions in 2022 echoed what Democrat lawmakers did with Obamacare a dozen years before that and have proposed in other contexts as well: raiding Medicare to pay for other government spending. For the left, Medicare is much less a solemn obligation to seniors than it is a slush fund designed to be pillaged to expand government elsewhere.

Biden Bails Out Insurers with Taxpayer Billions

In the past few weeks, the Biden administration had to announce a “demonstration project” — i.e., government bailout — designed to “stabilize” premiums due to changes resulting from the IRA. A combination of richer benefits and structural changes in the law meant that many standalone prescription drug plans apparently submitted much higher premium proposals for next year. As a result, the administration hatched an insurer bailout to prevent massive premium hikes from landing in seniors’ mailboxes weeks before the November election.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services estimated the bailout will cost $5 billion this year alone, just about wiping out all of this year’s supposed “savings” from the drug “negotiations.” Moreover, the “demonstration” project is scheduled to last another two years, meaning the final cost could come to $15 billion or more.

Of course, the cost of this bailout won’t stop Democrats from spending all the supposed Medicare “savings” from the IRA on green pork, IRS agents, and other projects. Likewise, Democrats seem uninterested in the inconvenient-to-them fact that this multibillion-dollar bailout is of questionable legality.

Price Controls Will Mean Fewer Drugs

It might surprise those on the left, but companies and investors generally respond to incentives. When the federal government decides to pay less for drugs, it will get fewer drugs in the future. Estimates vary on the degree to which the IRA’s drug pricing provisions will affect pharmaceutical research, but they don’t vary on the direction — all signs point to fewer new drugs being created. The Congressional Budget Office concluded that more than a dozen fewer drugs will get developed. Another independent estimate of legislation similar to the IRA put the number at well over 100. Companies have already announced ways they are scaling back investments in response to the law’s price controls because, as one CEO put it, “there will be no economic return from doing” more research.

Whether the IRA will lead to one fewer drug, 100 fewer drugs, or 1,000 fewer drugs, the drug not created is the one that could save your life. Of course, often people won’t know if the IRA prevented a treatment that could have helped them. While Joe Biden and Kamala Harris want voters to believe they will get “free” savings, the American people will pay for the IRA for years to come, both in years of their lives through higher costs and lives not saved through drugs never developed.

CENTER SQUARE—U.S. House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer launched an investigation Wednesday into allegations that Google and Meta, parent company of Facebook, censored or misrepresented content about President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. Comer, R-Ky., sent letters to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google CEO Sundar Pichai Wednesday over the alleged censorship, which grabbed national attention after the near-fatal assassination attempt against Trump in Butler County, Pennsylvania, on July 13.

How Google and Facebook handled questions and searches about the assassination attempt against Trump sparked criticism.

“Specifically, Meta’s AI assistant claimed, ‘the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump was a ‘fictional’ event,’ even as the chatbot ‘had plenty to say about Democratic rival Kamala Harris’ run for the White House,” Comer wrote, citing a New York Post article. “When asked if the assassination on President Trump was fictional, Meta’s bot responded that there ‘was no real assassination attempt on Donald Trump. I strive to provide accurate and reliable information, but sometimes mistakes can occur.’ The bot further added, ‘[t]o confirm, there has been no credible report or evidence of a successful or attempted assassination of Donald Trump.’”

Facebook’s team also admitted that it censored the photo of a bloody Trump holding his fist in the air just after the shooting, a photo that went viral online and became a rallying point for his campaign.

“This was an error,” Facebook communications director Dani Levi wrote on X about the photo. “This fact-check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the Secret Service agents smiling, and in some cases, our systems incorrectly applied that fact-check to the real photo. This has been fixed, and we apologize for the mistake.”

“Google users report that autocompleted search prompts related to the assassination attempt of President Trump produced results for failed assassination attempts of former presidents, including Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan—or even assassinations of historical figures such as Archduke Franz Ferdinand—but omitted from the list of automatically generated search suggestions the recent attempt on President Trump’s life,” Comer wrote.

Google told CBS MoneyWatch that the search issues were technical “anomalies” that were unintentional and could affect anyone. Comer’s investigation is calling for documents and answers on how Google’s search and autocomplete works. Google staff briefed the committee earlier this month.

“In response to preliminary staff inquiries, Google contends that the autocomplete results omitted the Trump assassination attempt due to a safety protocol concerning predicted assassination attempts of current political leaders, and Google had not yet updated the autocomplete feature to reflect that an assassination attempt of President Trump had occurred,” Comer wrote.

In his letter to Meta’s Zuckerberg, Comer pointed out that the executive branch regulates the tech companies that can have bias in determining who runs the executive branch.

“The Committee has long been concerned with how large technology companies leverage their businesses to influence public opinion—especially the design and use of content-moderation policies within private sector social media companies—and how company policies are shaped and influenced by Executive Branch officials,” Comer wrote in his letter to Zuckerberg.

After the issues last month, Trump blasted both companies online, saying “here we go again” and calling it “rigging the election,” an apparent reference to how social media companies at the urging of the FBI censored news stories about the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation, but the laptop later was found to be real.

David Marcus Op-ed: Kamala Harris’ San Francisco is a dystopian nightmare. Is this what she has planned for America?

From 2004 until 2019, the responsibility to enforce law and order in San Francisco fell to District Attorney Kamala Harris and her protégé George Gascon. The result? By any estimation, it has been an ignominious disaster. Even as you drive from the airport to downtown in this once great city, the sight that greets you off the highway is streets with empty storefronts — like broken teeth, jagged and sad.

In the Tenderloin District it gets worse, far worse, and it isn’t getting any better, in fact, much the opposite. The last time I was in the City by the Bay was in 2021, and I struggled then to describe the craven brutality of the homelessness and drug addiction. Let me try again.

SAN FRANCISCO POLICE OFFICERS FORCED TO WORK OVERTIME DUE TO STAFF SHORTAGE: REPORT

Just off Union Square, I wandered down to the nice coffee house where I spent my mornings three years ago. It’s gone now. Boarded up. Out in front, addicts assembled under the amused eyes of security guards who seem to think this is normal.  Just up the block, the smell hit me first. It didn’t last time, but now, a fetid stench of human degradation that New Yorkers know only from an unfortunate subway car choice, simply hangs in the air. You can’t even smell the weed.

A man lies on the street in San Francisco.
A person lies on the street in San Francisco in August 2024.

Dogs abound, barking in the midst of this misery. At least they know something is amiss. In tents, the poor forgotten of this city languish, selling drugs, not joints, not a bag of weed, but life-threatening heroin and fentanyl right out in the open. The scale of human tragedy is laid bare by the proximity of wealth to squalor, of healthy and beautiful minds and bodies to squandered lives doped out and laid out beneath signs for Saks Fifth Avenue and Tiffany & Co.

HARRIS DOES ABOUT-FACE ON SEVERAL FAR-LEFT POLICIES, DISTANCES HERSELF FROM BIDEN

The well-heeled set headed for the Apple Store seem to pretend it isn’t happening. But to an outsider, it is as clear as the summer sun. You can’t buy beef jerky here. You can try, but at the Walgreens near my upscale hotel, the dehydrated travelers treat is behind lock and key. The customer service button might as well be connected to some remote outpost in Antarctica. After 5 minutes you just leave.

Open air drug dealing in San Francisco in August 2024.
Open air drug dealing in San Francisco in August 2024.

During COVID, I used the analogy of pointillist painting to describe the ever-encroaching rules. It’s just a mask, it’s just six feet, it’s just remote learning, each was a point on a canvas, but when you stepped back, you saw a picture of a prison. So, too, in San Francisco, the little horrors add up to a city of nightmares.

Anyone from any city in the northeast of our great country will say after five minutes that San Francisco is a dystopian disaster, but many of the people here, like frogs slowly boiling, think it’s normal. Is this what Vice President Kamala Harris, one of the architects of this misery, has in mind for all of us?

Next week, at her convention, the hand-picked Democratic nominee — whom nobody voted for — will try to convince us that her record of failure is not her record of failure. But the chaotic streets of San Francisco tell a different story.  This is real. It is horrible. And no amount of well-off liberals posting photos next to the Golden Gate Bridge can truly hide the depravity of it all. And yeah, maybe the cops and the spaghetti strainer of a District Attorney’s office wrought by Harris keep their wealthy enclaves safe, but everyone else is in dire straits.

Clock in San Francisco
One of the finest street clocks in all of America is in San Francisco. It also is broken.

No matter how big your britches get, you can’t hide from your hometown. There, people know you, they know your story, and the story of Kamala Harris and San Francisco is a warning bell that America needs to hear.

Not far from the Tenderloin I found a curious object; one of the finest street clocks in all America. At one point, it was insured by Lloyd’s of London. You can view its gears and workings. It is a beautiful clock, reminiscent of the one that graces New York’s Grand Central.  It also doesn’t work. The face of this storied clock is set to the advertiser’s time of 10:10, and twice a day it is right as the saying goes. But why is it broken? How much would it cost to make this piece of history tick again? Why isn’t anyone doing it?

These are all questions for the presumptive Democratic nominee, who takes no questions. But she cannot hide from San Francisco. This is her legacy. And like the broken clock, it just flat out doesn’t work.

House GOP Leadership: Biden-Harris Drug Plan Is Price Fixing

By Sam Barron    |   Thursday, 15 August 2024 03:46 PM EDT

The House Republican leadership is hitting back at the White House over its plans to save $6 billion on prescription drugs through Medicare, calling it “price fixing,” The Guardian reported. The White House announced Thursday it had negotiated some drug prices down by as much as 79%. The Inflation Reduction Act, signed into law in 2022, allows Medicare to negotiate prices for some of the most costly drugs that the program covers for 66 million people. The new prices will go into effect in 2026.

GOP House leaders responded in a statement. Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La.; Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La.; Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn.; and Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., said the Inflation Reduction Act was a failure and that Americans continue to feel its “disastrous effects.”

“Among the most egregious provisions of the law is the mandate from bureaucrats to artificially set prescription drug prices, which is already doing untold damage to the American health care system,” the statement read. “Patients are seeing fewer choices, higher prices, and fewer cures, while the American pharmaceutical industry — which currently leads the world in the development of new medicines — is now in jeopardy of losing its competitive advantage on the rest of the world.”

The administration said people covered by Medicare, which mostly serves Americans ages 65 and over, would also save $1.5 billion in out-of-pocket costs for the prescription medicines in 2026. They include widely used diabetes treatments Januvia and Jardiance, blood thinners Eliquis and Xarelto, and leukemia drug Imbruvica. The officials did not provide further detail on the new prices or say why the full $6 billion in savings would not be passed to patients.

The Republican House leadership said price fixing has always failed.

“The Biden-Harris Administration says it wants to lower prices for families, but their prescription drug price fixing scheme has accomplished just two things: driving up health care costs and crushing American innovation in medicine,” the statement read.

Team Trump Responds with Brutal Roast of Phony Kamala Harris After Her Campaign Throws Tantrum Over Epic Elon Musk Interview

By Cullen Linebarger – August

As Jim Hoft previously reported, President Trump held a groundbreaking interview with X Owner and legendary tech mogul Elon Musk on Monday, and the results were staggering.
The incredible success came despite a mysterious delay caused by a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack that delayed the interview for nearly an hour. Several powerful forces likely sought to stop the dynamic duo from joining forces for this historic conversation.
Phony Kamala Harris’s campaign was ENRAGED over the fact Trump was allowed to speak uncensored for two hours before 72 million viewers and sent this whiny message to their supporters while the interview was ongoing.

Democrats traded one liar for another when they replaced their presumptive 2024 presidential nominee President Joe Biden with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Harris may not quite live up to her counterpart’s long history of selling whoppers as truth, but there’s no doubt that she has fibbed far too often without consequence or accountability.

Democrats’ new darling likely wants voters to be “unburdened by what has been.” But not even her jumbled babble or unintelligible chattering can keep Harris’ radical track record and history of deception under wraps. Here’s a look back at some of Harris’ biggest lies to date.

20. Harris Claims It’s Trump, Not Her, Who Will Weaponize DOJ

One of Harris’ most repeated talking points since she’s become a presidential nominee states that if Trump wins the White House in November, he will use the Department of Justice to target his political opponents.

“[Trump] will weaponize the Department of Justice against his political enemies,” she said behind the vice presidential podium. “He will round up peaceful protestors and throw them out of our country. And even, quote, ‘terminate’ the United States Constitution.”

It’s the Biden-Harris administration, not Trump, however, that has a track record of weaponizing the federal government against its ideological enemies and destroying the Constitution.

Under Harris’ rule, faith-filled pro-lifersparentsopponents to child transingelection integrity supporters, and Trump have become the targets of unfair prosecutions; Republican-nominated Supreme Court justices were refused protection; and Republican states that want to protect born and unborn children were threatened with punishment.

19. Harris Lies About Trump, GOP Abortion Platform

In the leadup to the 2024 presidential election, Harris ramped up accusations that Trump and Republicans will “ban abortion nationwide.”

Trump’s 2024 abortion platform centers on leaving decisions about ending life in the womb “up to the states.” In fact, the GOP nominee stated he would not sign federal legislation curbing abortion.

Congressional Republicans also have repeatedly failed to make progress on passing a popular 15-week abortion limit, making them much less likely to embrace a national halt on abortions.

18. Harris’ Fracking Flip-Flop

Shortly after the vice president became the Democrats’ 2024 presidential nominee, Harris’ campaign went after former President Donald Trump for exposing her radical belief that the U.S. should ban fracking.

“Trump’s false claims about fracking bans are an obvious attempt to distract from his own plans to enrich oil and gas executives at the expense of the middle class,” Harris’ campaign said in a statement in July 2024.

“She would not ban fracking,” the campaign reaffirmed to Politico.

Harris, however, is on the record in 2019 during her first failed presidential run claiming that she is “in favor of banning fracking.”

17. Harris’ Team Falsely Claims J.D. Vance Endorsed Project 2025

Harris’ rapid response team used a 2021 “Federalist Radio Hour” clip to assert in July 2024 that Trump’s vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance supports Project 2025.

The podcast, however, was published in 2021, nearly a year before The Heritage Foundation launched the project in 2022.

16. Harris Denies Biden’s Obvious Decline

Harris spent months ahead of Biden’s disastrous debate performance and resignation from the 2024 presidential race reassuring Americans that her counterpart’s age did not affect his ability to govern.

“I’ll tell you, the reality of it is, and I’ve spent a lot of time with Biden, be it in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room and other places — he is extraordinarily smart. He has the ability to see around the corner in terms of what might be the challenges we face as a nation or globally,” Harris told ABC News in January.

Yet, Democrats’ coup-like candidate-replacement operation hinged on Biden’s obvious decline. One poll found that, of the 70 percent of voters who believe there was a cover-up of Biden’s decline, 92 percent believe Harris was complicit in the cover-up.

15. Harris Accuses Trump Of Trying To Cut Medicare, Social Security

Harris incorrectly claimed at a July 2024 American Federation of Teachers conference that “Trump and his allies want to cut Medicare and Social Security.”

Even partisan Politifact was forced to admit that Trump’s 2024 platform explicitly states that “under no circumstances should Republicans vote to cut a single penny from Medicare or Social Security.”

14. Harris Repeats ‘Book Ban’ Falsehoods

During her American Federation of Teachers address, Harris accused Republicans who want to keep sexually explicit content off of school and library shelves of attacking “the freedom to learn and acknowledge our nation’s true and full history, including book bans.”

“Book bans in this year of our Lord 2024,” she remarked.

In the context of taxpayer-funded classrooms, there is no such thing as “banned books.” The inappropriate stories Democrats claim are prohibited from circulation are still widely available to readers via publishers and booksellers.

13. Harris Allies Lie About Her Border Czar Appointment

After years of acknowledging and even praising Biden for naming Harris “border czar,” Harris’ allies in the White House and corporate media claimed in statements and fake fact-checks that she was never charged with overseeing the logistics of the record-breaking invasion.

Biden’s statements and the propaganda press’s fawning coverage of Harris, even as she did little to fulfill the role, however, prove that she was the “border czar” in their eyes until it wasn’t politically convenient for them anymore.

12. Harris Wrongfully Asserts NCAA Women’s Brackets Were Banned Until 2022

During the 2024 NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, Harris incorrectly claimed that female teams were excluded from brackets until 2022.

“OK, a bit of a history lesson — do you know that women were not, the women’s teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022?” Harris told Spectrum News in April 2024. “Think about that, and … talk about progress, ya know, better late than never, but progress.”

While it’s true that the NCAA women’s tournament did not take on the March Madness branding until 2022, brackets for female competitors date back to the “early 1980s.”

Harris’ and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff’s social media accounts also directly contradict the VP’s claims by showing that the pair filled out women’s basketball brackets in 2021.

11. Harris Repeatedly Lies About Georgia Voting Law

During a March 2024 speech lamenting Republicans’ election integrity efforts, Harris inaccurately claimed that Georgia’s legislature passed a law banning water in poll lines.

“In Georgia, extremists passed a law to even make it illegal to give people food and water for standing in line to exercise their civic duty and right to vote,” Harris claimed.

Georgia’s election security law specifically bans political interest groups from using water to sway voters in line. Election workers are exempt from this restriction.

10. Harris Falsely Blames Republicans For Wisconsin Abortion Limit

“In this beautiful state of Wisconsin, after Roe was dismantled, extremists evoked a law from 1849 to stop abortion in this state,” Harris said at a Milwaukee rally in January 2024.

Even the fake fact-checkers at Politifact admitted that “Republican lawmakers didn’t have to lift a finger to put the 1849 provisions back into effect.” Instead, the overturn of Roe v. Wade sent the preexisting law through the court appeals system, in which the latest ruling claimed the 1849 law does not ban abortion.

9. Harris Fibs About Florida’s History Curriculum

“They want to replace history with lies,” Harris said at the Ritz Theatre and Museum in Jacksonville in July 2023. “Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery.” Harris had peddled the same lie the previous day in Indianapolis.

The curriculum standards, however, acknowledge that some former slaves used skills they acquired during their enslavement in the free world.

8. Worst VP In History Claims ‘Great’ Approval Ratings

Harris told ABC News’ Linsey Davis in July 2023 that some polls “say I have great approval ratings.”

The Democrat not only received the worst vice presidential rating in the history of modern polling, but her job approval at the time of the interview sat at 40.7 percent. Harris’ abysmal ratings have only continued, often ranking worse than Biden’s, and do not suggest that she’s up to the task of taking over the presidency.

7. Harris Lies About Bailing Out Violent Criminals

Harris told WCCO 4 News in October 2022 that claims she helped bail out the 2020 rioters who led the months-long, $2 billion siege of cities like Minneapolis were “misinformation.”

“People are playing political games right now. We’re 18 days away from midterms. And we have sadly not seen a lack of misinformation and disinformation, and I think this is another one of those examples,” the VP said.

Accused rapistsrepeat offenders, and rioters alike, however, benefitted when Harris encouraged her social media followers to donate to a bail fund dedicated to those arrested during the 2020 summer of rage.

6. Harris Claims Spending Sprees Won’t Raise Taxes

“As promised, we will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 a year,” Harris claimed in September 2022.

Congress’s Joint Committee on Taxation, however, found that Democrats’ misnomered Inflation Reduction Act will do “nothing to bring the economy out of stagnation and recession, but … will raise billions of dollars in taxes on Americans making less than $400,000.”

5. Harris Repeats Election Security Falsehood

When Georgia Republicans sought to pass an election integrity bill that would fortify the state’s elections, Harris lamented, “Across our nation, anti-voter laws could make it more difficult for as many as 55 million Americans to vote,” Harris claimed in a January 2022 remarks at the Atlanta University Center Consortium. “That is one out of six people in our country.”

There is no evidence that election integrity laws like the one in Georgia discriminate against legitimate voters. In fact, experts say measures like voter ID make it “easier to vote and harder to cheat” via mass ballot harvesting.

4. Harris Knowingly Spread Border Patrol Whipping Lie

Harris claimed in 2021 that she saw “horrible” footage of Border Patrol agents whipping illegal border crossers.

“Human beings should never be treated that way, and I’m deeply troubled about it,” Harris said.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection investigation, however, later found no evidence that the horseback unit used their reins to strike migrants.

3. Harris Says ‘Almost Impossible’ For Rural Americans To Photocopy

While arguing against voter ID laws in an interview with BET News in 2021, Harris claimed that it’s “almost impossible” for rural Americans to make a photocopy.

Harris’ claim not only lacks evidence but is strongly contradicted by swaths of rural voters who found the comment insulting.

2. Harris Packages What Appears To Be A Popular MLK Story As Her Own

Harris loves to tell corporate media eager to boost her image a story about asking for “fweedom from her stroller at a civil rights march.

That supposed childhood memory, however, suspiciously resembles one Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. told Playboy in 1965.

1. Harris Claims Jussie Smollett’s Race Hoax Was A ‘Lynching’

Despite serious doubts and a lack of evidence that actor Jussie Smollett was truly attacked in 2019 by a pair of racist, MAGA-loving men who tried to hang him by a noose, Harris called the alleged incident an “attempted modern-day lynching.”

The so-called hate crime was, in fact, later found to be staged by Smollett. Harris, however, did not retract her support or “lynching” statement even after Smollett was found guilty of felony disorderly conduct and making false police reports.

Shameless Kamala Harris Rips Off Trump’s Idea for No Taxes on Tips at Las Vegas Rally — Trump Fires Back with Scathing Rebuke (VIDEO)

By Mike LaChance – Aug 10, 2024

Kamala Harris is proving once again that she has never had an original idea in her life.
During her rally in Las Vegas tonight, she plugged the idea of no taxes on tips for people who work in the service industry. Her supporters cheered for the idea, many of them probably not even realizing that they were cheering for an idea that came from Trump.
This is especially ironic because Kamala Harris’s campaign has been extremely short on policy proposals. Now, she finally puts one forth, and it’s a Trump proposal.

Migrant Released into US Committed 22 Crimes in Just Six Months [Video]

A Venezuelan migrant, Daniel Hernandez-Martinez, who is suspected to be a member of the “Tren de Aragua” gang, was released into the United States by the Biden-Harris administration in the early months of 2021. However, the House Judiciary Committee revealed in a report on Wednesday that within a span of only six months, Hernandez-Martinez allegedly committed at least 22 criminal offenses. This includes charges such as petit larceny, criminal possession of a weapon, and multiple assaults, two of which were against police officers.

The report states that despite his repeated run-ins with the New York Police Department, Hernandez-Martinez was not detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) until his seventh offense. The House Judiciary Committee concludes that his release into the country was without any legal justification, and his subsequent actions have had real-world consequences for American citizens.

The report reads, “Mere months after his release, Hernandez-Martinez began terrorizing New York City, committing at least 22 criminal offenses within a span of just six months.”

The House Judiciary Committee also notes that it remains unclear whether ICE has deported Hernandez-Martinez. However, an investigation by the New York Post claims that he is being held in Buffalo, New York. Despite the severity of his crimes, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) initially attempted to withhold Hernandez-Martinez’s background file from the committee.

It took a follow-up request from the committee for the documents to be produced, even though they were complete six months prior.

In six months since President Joe Biden took office, Border Patrol agents have encountered over 7 million foreign nationals attempting to enter the country illegally. This is a significant increase compared to the previous year, under the Trump administration. However, Vice President Kamala Harris’s stance on immigration has proven to be inconsistent.

While in the Senate, Harris co-sponsored three bills in 2019 that aimed to block Trump’s efforts to build a border wall. However, her campaign is now claiming she supports Biden’s executive order to crack down on illegal crossings.

The House Judiciary Committee emphasizes that the disastrous immigration policies of the Biden-Harris administration have had severe consequences for the American people. They state, “Hernandez-Martinez’s victims will never be the same because the Biden-Harris Administration allowed him to enter the country. Tragically, Hernandez-Martinez’s victims are not alone.” Despite requests for comment, ICE and DHS have not yet responded to these revelations.

Watch

In conclusion, the release of an illegal migrant into the country by the Biden-Harris administration has resulted in at least 22 criminal offenses within a span of six months, including assaulting police officers.

Kamala’s stance on immigration and her actions (lack-of) have had grave consequences for American citizens. The House Judiciary Committee is calling for accountability and effective policies to ensure the safety of American communities.

Victor Reacts: Kamala Unburdened By What Has Been? (VIDEO)

By Victor Nieves – July 25, 2024

Is this what Kamala Harris means when she says, “what can be unburdened by what has been?” It looks like dirt on Kamala Harris is being mysteriously erased.

The Gateway Pundit reported,
GovTrack, which purports to track “the U.S. Congress to make our government more open and accessible,” has apparently ‘disappeared’ Kamala Harris’s 2019 page, which ranked her as the most liberal senator out of 100.

The now-missing page shows data from Harris’s time in the Senate and compared to other senators. The analysis shows in 2019, Harris was the least likely to cosign on bipartisan legislation, missed 61.9% of votes, held the fewest committee positions, and ranked second from last in getting sponsored bills out of committee.

Newly released footage captured by undercover journalists in 2015 shows Planned Parenthood staff discussing the process of harvesting aborted baby parts and allegedly exposes a scheme to traffic them.

David Daleiden, project lead for the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), recorded the damning footage in 2015 at the National Abortion Federation’s (NAF) commercial trade show in San Francisco.

A court injunction stemming from California Attorney General-turned-Vice President Kamala Harris’ prosecution of Daleiden previously blocked the release of the footage. Thanks to a congressional subpoena and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., however, Daleiden was finally permitted to post hours of footage allegedly exposing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome practices nearly a decade after he collected it.

In the clips, Daleiden and one of his CMP colleagues who posed as representatives for a fake tissue procurement startup called BioMax, are heard discussing the sale of fetal body parts with individuals identified as Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ann Schutt-Ainé and Vice President of Abortion Access Tram Nguyen.

“You have to come and play with our tissue and see if it’s cool enough for you,” Nguyen said at the beginning of the video.

Later in the clip, Nguyen brags about PPGC’s reputation as being “a little bit different than other providers.”

“I’m like, ‘Yeah, I have like a leg for you.’ I’m like, oh sh-t, if other people were to hear me, they’d be like, you are f-cking evil,” she said.

Prior to the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson decision in 2022, the Houston facility allegedly employed several abortionists who were willing to kill babies well into the second trimester.

“If you want more intact ones, she’s the one you kind of need to talk to,” Nguyen said of Schutt-Ainé.

In an effort to deliver PPGC’s alleged clients the most desirable body parts but skirt the 2003 Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, Schutt-Ainé claimed she does much of her dismemberments at the edge of the womb.

“If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg, or two, so it’s not PBA,” Schutt-Ainé said.

The abortionist said her facility, on average, harvested five to 10 samples per week.

“Thirty to 50 is like a good number for the month,” Nguyen explained.

A bad sample, Nguyen said, only happened when those executing the unborn baby were forced to “hurry up” the gruesome procedure. She recalled one such example with a 16-year-old girl. “Whereas like other days, it’s like more intact, where it’s, like, maybe only, like, an arm that’s disarticulated,” Nguyen concluded.

After the CMP’s plant noted that organs like the liver and thymus appeared to be in high demand by lab wholesalers, Schutt-Ainé confessed she adapted her abortion method to better preserve lucrative corpse pieces.

“You told me about the proposition, and so now every time I do a D&E [dilation and evacuation abortion], I’m like, ‘Oh, there’s some lungs, there’s some kidneys,’” Schutt-Ainé explained, before telling an unnamed coworker in the frame that she will eventually be “desensitized for playing with tissue.”

In another video, Schutt-Ainé claimed she could harvest livers and hearts “without too much difficulty at all” as long as the mother’s cervix is well dilated. “When you have good dilation, a cervix that’s either well-dilated and/or just softer and more pliable, then as you bring the fetus down, you can get more of it out before disarticulation occurs,” she explained.

Schutt-Ainé and Tram also detailed how they use up to four forceps “passes” to scrape a baby’s remains out of the uterus to avoid scrutiny about whether it was a partial-birth abortion.

“If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus [navel], I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix and pull off a leg, or two, so it’s not PBA,” Schutt-Ainé claimed.

After the videos were taken, CMP’s front company reportedly sent PPGC a contract offering thousands of dollars per organ. Tram and other staff members were allegedly “trying to move forward with the sales.”

When Daleiden accused Planned Parenthood of allegedly selling aborted babies’ body parts, especially those executed in the second and third trimesters, for commercial profit, the abortion giant repeatedly denied it. Instead, Planned Parenthood claimed the videos were “doctored” and said it only donates a small percentage of fetal tissue to various organizations conducting scientific research.

NAF, similarly, issued a statement expressing support for handing out tissues from abortions “with the potential to help millions of Americans suffering from diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, muscular dystrophy, leukemia, and other serious medical conditions.” “There is no financial gain for women or health care providers involved,” NAF claimed.

These claims fueled lawfare by Harris, who colluded with Planned Parenthood and NAF to target Daleiden for exposing the abortion giant, according to his attorneys. Part of the prosecution involved a raid on Daleiden’s house, where investigators allegedly seized footage further implicating the abortion giant and handed it over to Harris’ abortion campaign donors.

To this day, Daleiden still faces eight felony charges and possible jail time for allegedly recording videos without permission and using a fake ID to maintain access to abortion facilities.

Wife of Harris’ VP pick sets social media ablaze with ‘bizarre’ admission about 2020 riots

The wife of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ running mate set social media ablaze Tuesday after an unearthed clip of her describing her actions during the 2020 Minneapolis riots went viral. Gwen Walz is Minnesota’s first lady and the wife of Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, who was picked by Vice President Harris to be her running mate on the 2024 Democratic presidential ticket.

A pivotal part of Walz’s gubernatorial record was his handling of the death of George Floyd in the state in 2020. Floyd’s death sparked nationwide protests about race and police brutality.

“Again, we had more sleepless nights during the riots,” Walz’s wife told KSTP in July 2020. “I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening.”

Conservative commentators expressed astonishment at Gwen Walz’s remarks after the clip started going viral on social media.

“What might you call this? Bizarre? Abnormal? Peculiar? Eccentric? Offbeat? Quirky?” Noah Rothman, a senior writer at the National Review Online, said. “Gotta be a word that describes reveling in the catharsis represented by the torching of other people’s property.”

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk described the comments as “weird.”

“Profoundly disturbing,” journalist Abigail Shrier said. “We’re going to need to learn a lot more about the Walzes.”

Dustin Grage, the president of a conservative Minnesota-based consulting firm, said the comments were “bizarre,” adding, “Her daughter also coordinated with rioters to let them know that the National Guard would not be activated one night.”

“Everything you need to know about leftist elites can be found in this short clip,” Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said on X. “Tim Walz’s wife sat by the window enjoying the smell of poor neighborhoods burning during the Floyd riots. She did everything but pull out a fiddle.”

Gov. Walz was criticized for his handling of the riots. Conservatives accused him of sitting on his hands as the state was engulfed by riots.

As a result of the delayed action, hundreds of businesses across Minneapolis and St. Paul were devastated by the destruction and had to ask their local government for help recovering on top of what they lost during pandemic-related closures. First lady Walz said she was aware Minnesota was under national scrutiny at the time.

“With COVID-19, the entire state was watching what Tim did,” Ms. Walz said. “But with Mr. Floyd’s death, it was the entire country and the whole world looking at and watching what we did here in Minnesota in response to that.”

RIOTING, LOOTING LINKED TO GEORGE FLOYD PROTESTS LEAVES TRAIL OF DESTRUCTION ACROSS AMERICAN CITIES

That record is now again under scrutiny as Walz is catapulted into the national spotlight, with Republican critics taking aim at how both Walz and Harris handled the 2020 crisis.

Video

“Minnesota was ground zero for the BLM riots of 2020,” Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said. “Harris egged it on, and Walz sat by and let Minneapolis burn.”

Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice-presidential candidate and running mate of former President Trump, poked at Walz’s 2020 record Tuesday, calling his addition to the Democratic ticket “an interesting tag team.”

“If we remember the rioting in the summer of 2020, Tim Walz was the guy who let rioters burn down Minneapolis,” he said of the riots that began in Minnesota in response to the death of Floyd while being arrested in Minneapolis. “And then Kamala Harris was the one who bailed the rioters out of jail.”

Tim Walz Silent on Ties to Minnesota Freedom Fund That Bailed Out Rioters, Domestic Abusers

When rioters took to the streets of Minneapolis after the death of George Floyd, setting fire to a police station, a Japanese restaurant, and a low-income tenement building (among others), then-Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., raised money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which posted bail on behalf of the rioters.

Now that Harris, Joe Biden’s vice president and the presumptive Democratic nominee, has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, Americans may wonder about his position on the Minnesota Freedom Fund. As it turns out, Walz tapped the fund’s executive director for the state’s Sentencing Guidelines Commission.

Unfortunately, Walz’s office did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment on the matter. The Minnesota Freedom Fund also did not respond to The Daily Signal’s questions about whether Walz supported the fund to bail out rioters.

Harris infamously urged followers to contribute to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, urging them to “help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” after rioters ravaged Minneapolis following Floyd’s death in police custody.

Fact-checkers later established that Harris didn’t personally donate to the Freedom Fund, although at the time she and others helped direct more than $40 million to the organization.

Who Is Tonja Honsey?

Walz, first elected governor in 2018, doesn’t appear to have made any such public call for donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund. However, he did grant one of the organization’s leaders a position in his administration.

In May 2019, Tonja Honsey, executive director of the fund, joined Minnesota’s Sentencing Guildelines Commission. The sentencing commission’s 13 members represent both the criminal justice system and the general public. They include judges, a public defender, a county attorney, a peace officer, an academic, and three members of the public.

The governor appoints all commissioners except the judicial representatives. Honsey, a public member who spent time in jail for possessing controlled substances, served on the commission from 2019 to 2023.

“I say that I’m an incarceration survivor,” Honsey told the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2019. “The shift needs to turn from people who have gone to school to learn about reentry, to where people who are directly impacted need to be the ones leading,” Honsey added. “And not just brought in for a focus group. We actually need to be leading the charge.”

In June 2020, the Minnesota Freedom Fund fired Honsey after she admitted that she had lied about her ancestry. She falsely had described herself as indigenous, and later faced condemnation for misappropriating a Native American heritage and bloodline.

“The Minnesota Freedom Fund’s work is part of a larger movement to end the harms of money bail and jailing people for poverty,” the organization said in a public statement that since has been deleted from the website (but preserved on the Internet Archive here).

“As a collective effort, our mission has never relied on a single person and calls us to step up around issues of equity and truth,” the fund said, adding: “We know we must do better to address systemic racism, both internally in our work and with the community.”

According to the Minnesota-based Center of the American Experiment, Honsey’s nonprofit, We Rise!, disbanded. The American Indian Prison Project put out a statement repudiating her.

In 2019, the Open Society Foundations awarded Honsey a Soros Justice Fellowship. Open Society did not respond to a request for comment.

LinkedIn profile bearing Honsey’s name and history mentions Ladies of Hope Ministries as her current employer. Ladies of Hope Ministries did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment. The Daily Signal was unable to reach Honsey for comment.

Who Does the Fund Help?

The Minnesota Freedom Fund opposes cash bail and pays to secure the freedom of those charged with various crimes.

“Right now, the cash bail and immigration detention systems jail legally innocent people simply because they can’t afford their freedom, while wealthy people go free,” the organization’s website states. “Until we abolish wealth-based pre-trial and immigration detention in our state, Minnesota Freedom Fund will be here to level the playing field.”

The Minnesota Freedom Fund has paid $21.2 million in cash bail, freed 2,537 people from being jailed before trial, paid $4.8 million for immigration bonds, and freed another 463 people from immigration detention, according to the website. The organization faces criticism for bailing out potentially violent defendants who pose a threat to the community. It bailed out Timothy Wayne Columbus, who faced 30 years in prison for allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in July 2020, the Daily Caller reported.

It also bailed out six men facing allegations that they committed violence against women between June and August 2020. Five of them previously were convicted of charges related to domestic abuse.

The Tides Center, a liberal dark money group, funneled more than $100,000 into the Minnesota Freedom Fund between 2019 and 2021, according to IRS filings. The Tides Foundation, the Tides Center’s sister organization, represents anti-Israel rioters through its fiscally sponsored project, Palestine Legal. Tides did not respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment.

Walz did not respond to questions from The Daily Signal about whether he took any actions against the Minnesota Freedom Fund to ensure that it didn’t bail out criminal defendants who could pose a threat in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Flanagan, his lieutenant governor, didn’t respond to requests for comment about the letter of recommendation she wrote for Honsey.

By Michael Austin – The Western Journal – Aug 6, 2024

On Tuesday, a leak revealed who Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen as her running mate for the November presidential election.
Many were shocked to learn Harris opted not to pick Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a more moderate-appearing candidate who could have helped Democrats carry Pennsylvania and other key swing states.
Instead, Harris opted to go with Minnesota’s radical Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.
That pick is already coming back to haunt her as Walz’s radical policies are brought to light.

Kamala Harris Selects Radical Leftist Tim Walz As 2024 Running Mate

Following weeks of speculation, Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Tuesday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be her 2024 running mate, creating the most radically left presidential ticket in modern history.

“I am proud to announce that I’ve asked @Tim_Walz to be my running mate,” Harris wrote on X. “It’s great to have him on the team.”

Tuesday’s pick surprised many political analysts, who viewed Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as the likely candidate to run alongside Harris. While governor of a key battleground state, Shapiro’s Jewish heritage and prior support for Israel prompted America’s corrupt media to speculate that his presence on the 2024 ticket would discourage the antisemitic wing of the Democrat Party from voting in the November contest.

Much like their bid to sanitize Harris’ extreme record, left-wing activists masquerading as journalists will undoubtedly work to whitewash Walz’s radical tenure as Minnesota’s governor.

In 2020, Walz reportedly delayed sending the National Guard to Minneapolis to stop riots that broke out in response to the death of George Floyd. According to the Star Tribune, “dozens of buildings had been looted and torched” by the time Walz’s government deployed the Guard to quell the violence.

Walz displayed his affinity for authoritarian policies that same year when instituting draconian Covid restrictions. In March 2020, he unliterally implemented a statewide stay-at-home order for all Minnesotans, closing schools, restaurants, and churches in the process.

During the state’s reopening phase a few months later, the Democrat governor allowed venues such as bars and tattoo parlors to open their doors for business, while still demanding places of worship remain closed. Residents who defied the state’s overreaching edicts were subsequently charged and jailed.

Walz also instituted statewide mask mandates, presided over a $250 million fraud scheme involving the misuse of Covid funds, and kept children — the least at-risk demographic for Covid mortality — out of school for months.

But the Democrat governor’s radical track record doesn’t stop there. Walz has signed virtually every piece of extreme legislation sent to his desk after state Democrats took unified control of the Minnesota Legislature during the 2022 midterms.

In recent years, he’s signed bills allowing abortions up until the moment of birth; banning “private conversations between therapists and patients struggling with their sex and sexuality;” making Minnesota “carbon-free” by 2040; permitting women from other states to travel to Minnesota to obtain abortions; granting 55,000 felons “voting rights;” allowing “trans” surgeries for minors; and allowing minors from other states to receive harmful “trans” procedures in Minnesota.

[READ: Court Halts Minnesota’s Attempt To Ban Christian Colleges From Offering Free Credits To Religious High Schoolers]

On immigration, Walz has been a major supporter of sanctuary cities and states. He also previously signed legislation allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses and reportedly backed efforts to provide aliens in the state with taxpayer-funded health care and college tuition. During a previous CNN interview, he promoted the idea of investing in a “ladder factory” to help illegals scale President Trump’s border wall.

To put the cherry on top, Walz previously downplayed the dangers of socialism — a state-run economic policy responsible for the deaths of millions worldwide.

“Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” Walz said. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”

As Democrats and media outlets accuse former President Donald Trump of dramatizing the Democratic abortion agenda, data from the Minnesota Department of Health shows that at least eight babies who survived abortions in the state were left to die. Under a 2015 Minnesota law, the state formerly was required to report whether abortions resulted in the live birth of a baby, what actions were taken to preserve the life of that baby, and whether the baby survived.

Those reporting requirements exposed that between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021, physicians performed five abortions that resulted in a baby’s live birth.

No measures were taken to help the first baby, who reportedly had “fetal anomalies” that resulted “in death shortly after delivery.” Two of the babies were given “comfort care measures” as they died. No measures were taken to “preserve life” of the last two babies, who were previable.

Previous data from the Minnesota Department of Health reveals that physicians have been leaving babies to die after failed abortions for years. In 2020, no babies were reported born alive through botched abortions, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

But between Jan. 1, 2019 and Dec. 31, 2019, three abortions resulted in born-alive babies who were then allowed to die. The first baby reportedly had “fetal anomalies” but also had “residual cardiac activity” for two minutes, yet no efforts were taken to preserve that baby’s life, and “the infant did not survive.”

The second baby died while “comfort care measures” were provided. The third baby was previable and did not receive any attempts to preserve his or her life. It does not appear that any of the babies born alive in botched abortions survived.

Due to efforts by the state’s Democratic governor, who served from 2019 until the present, Minnesota will no longer even keep track of born-alive babies. Tim Walz, the new Democratic vice presidential nominee, repealed the bipartisan measure in May 2023, stripping the state’s requirement that measure be taken to preserve the baby’s “life and health” and merely replacing it with a nebulous requirement for “care.”

Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has refused to specify any limitations on abortion or protections for unborn babies that she would support, indicating that her campaign does not, in fact, support any restrictions on abortion.

When Trump has pointed out that some states leave babies to die after birth, stating, “Hard to believe, they have some states passing legislation where you can execute the baby after birth,” outlets like CNN rate such claims as “false,” writing: “No state has passed or is passing a law that allows the execution of a baby after it is born.”

The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Post-birth abortion is real and Harris-Walz support it,” tweeted The Heritage Foundation’s Roger Severino. “At least 5 babies were born alive after botched abortions and left to die under Walz’s watch. Two of these struggling babies were given ‘comfort care’ instead of medical care allegedly in violation of state law.”

“How did Walz respond?” he continued. “By repealing the very law exposing and outlawing this horror and replacing it with abortion-on-demand on the front end, and infanticide on the back end.”

In January 2023, Walz signed a broad abortion law that included no limitations on how late during pregnancy a mother may end the life of her unborn baby.

“To Minnesotans, know that your access to reproductive health, and your right to make your own health care decisions, are preserved and protected,” Walz said then of the Protect Reproductive Options Act. “And because of this law, that won’t change with the political winds and the makeup of the Supreme Court.”

The legislation reads: “Every individual has a fundamental right to make autonomous decisions about the individual’s own reproductive health, including the fundamental right to use or refuse reproductive health care.”

“Reproductive health care” is a euphemism for abortion.

Kamala Harris’ VP Pick Signed Bill Allowing Illegal Aliens to Get Driver’s Licenses in Minnesota

Democrats’ new running mate for presumptive presidential nominee Kamala Harris signed a bill last year allowing illegal immigrants to receive Minnesota driver’s licenses. In March 2023, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed legislation allowing Minnesota residents to apply for and attain standard state driver’s licenses regardless of immigration status.

“Ensuring drivers in our state are licensed and carry insurance makes the roads safer for all Minnesotans,” Walz said in a written statement at the time. “As a longtime supporter of this bill, I am proud to finally sign it into law, making our roads safer and moving us toward our goal of making Minnesota the best state to raise a family for everyone.”

Harris announced Tuesday that Walz is her pick for vice president going into the Democratic National Convention, which opens Aug. 19. Minnesota is home to at least 81,000 illegal immigrants, according to the governor’s office, which touted the bill as a means to “increase safety across Minnesota by ensuring that all drivers are licensed, insured, and have taken driver’s education courses.”  Minnesota driver’s licenses don’t note immigration status on the physical card, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

Veena Iyer, executive director of the Immigration Law Center of Minnesota, celebrated Walz’s support for the legislation as “a major victory” after it passed the Minnesota House and Senate.

“Access to driver’s licenses is important for public safety, economic growth, and the dignity of our community members,” Iyer said in a public statement March 6, 2023, a day before Walz signed the bill into law.

In 2003, then-Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a Republican, took action to block illegal aliens from receiving driver’s licenses in Minnesota. Now, though, under the Driver’s License for All law, there is no need “to show proof of legal presence in the United States to get a standard Minnesota class D driver’s license, instruction permit or standard identification (ID) card,” according to the website for the state’s Driver and Vehicle Services.

During a recent interview on CNN, Walz discussed his opposition to what he called the “Trump border wall,” saying: “If it’s 25 feet, then I’ll invest in the 30-foot-ladder factory.”

Also last year, Walz backed state legislation to allow illegal aliens to receive free college tuition at Minnesota public colleges. The governor also supported legislation allowing illegal immigrants to enroll in MinnesotaCare, the state’s subsidized health care program. Walz signed the bill into law, and it will take effect in January.

Scathing report reveals Biden-Harris admin has released dozens of migrants on terror watchlist into US

Adam Shaw By Adam Shaw Fox News | Published August 5, 2024 2:03pm EDT

Mayors in Arizona and Texas said every section of the border has different needs, making it imperative that the next president visit the U.S.-Mexico border.

EXCLUSIVE: Nearly 100 illegal immigrants on the terror watch list have been released into the United States during the Biden administration, while Border Patrol agents have encountered migrants on the watch list from dozens of different countries, a new House report is revealing.

“Under the Biden-Harris Administration, of the more than 250 illegal aliens on the terrorist watchlist who were encountered by Border Patrol at the southwest border between fiscal years 2021 and 2023, DHS has released into American communities at least 99, with at least 34 others in DHS custody but not yet removed from the United States,” the report by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, a copy of which was first obtained by Fox News Digital, says.

The staff interim report also found that immigration judges granted bond to at least 27 migrants on the watchlist who entered illegally, and that Border Patrol has encountered tens of thousands of migrants from countries that could present national security risks – including 2,134 Afghan nationals, 33,347 Chinese nationals, 541 Iranian nationals, 520 Syrian nationals, and 3,104 Uzbek nationals.

“That does not include the untold numbers of potential terrorists that evaded Border Patrol to enter the United States as part of nearly 2 million ‘gotaways’ since the beginning of the Biden-Harris Administration,” the report says.

The report, citing information provided to committee staff in June, also found that Border Patrol had encountered migrants on the terror watchlist from 36 different countries — including places with active terror presences. Those countries include Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Tajikistan and Yemen.

The Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS) contains sensitive information on terrorist identities. It initially contained only known or suspected terrorists (KSTs) but now also includes additional individuals who represent a “potential threat to the United States, including known affiliates of watchlisted individuals.”

The concern about potential terrorists has grown amid the ongoing crisis at the southern border, where record numbers of migrants have been encountered since the Biden administration took office in 2021. The number of encounters on the watchlist has grown significantly as well, with the committee report finding a more than 3,000% increase of encounters.

The Biden administration has accused Republicans of not providing enough funding and reforms to a “broken” system, while Republicans have put the crisis down to the rolling back of Trump-era policies by the Democratic administration. But officials have warned about the risk that terrorists may seek to enter in through the southern border. That was on display when DHS identified over 400 individuals brought to the U.S. from Eastern European and Central Asian countries by an ISIS-affiliated smuggling network in the past several months.

That came after eight Tajikistan nationals with ties to ISIS were busted by federal authorities in New York City, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. All eight came in via the southern border illegally, but no derogatory information was flagged during processing, sources told Fox.

The Judiciary Committee report revealed that of those eight Tajikistan nationals, three were released after using the CBP One phone application to schedule an appointment and four were encountered by Border Patrol.

“Although American communities already feel the disastrous effects of the Biden-Harris Administration’s immigration policies, the worst could still be yet to come,” the staff interim report alleges.

“With national security experts and immigration officials increasingly concerned about the threat of terrorism originating from the border, it is clear that policymakers must take all necessary steps to secure the border and stop the flow of illegal aliens. However, the Biden-Harris Administration has refused to address the national security nightmare created by its radical, open-borders agenda,” it said.

Legal Group Launches 7 Investigations Into Kamala Harris’ Record of ‘Failure’

A conservative legal organization has launched seven investigations into Vice President Kamala Harris’ record of service in California state government.

“The American people deserve to know the facts about Kamala Harris’ time in California government,” a spokesperson for America First Legal told The Daily Signal.

Harris, now the presumed 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, served in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office in the 1990s. In 2004, she was elected district attorney of San Francisco before being elected attorney general of California in 2010, a role she served in until being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2017.

Over her more than 25 years in California government, “America First Legal’s research and information, based on public reporting, reveals evidence of alleged malfeasance and misconduct,” according to the Washington, D.C.-based legal group.

“Each step up the ladder of her career appears marked by improprieties or scandal,” Dan Epstein, America First Legal vice president, said of Harris in a statement.

With a pledge to “fight for transparency,” America First Legal has filed Freedom of Information Act requests seeking information on Harris’ record with the California Office of the Attorney General; the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office; the Oakland, California, Board of Supervisors; the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board; the California Department of Health Care Services; and the California Fair Political Practices Commission.

“Should the government fail to turn over these records, we will be left with no choice but to consider pursuing legal action to obtain them,” the group’s spokesperson told The Daily Signal.

Each of the seven investigations examine a “failure” of Harris’ during her long service in California government.

Failure to Comply With Federal Law Protecting Donor Privacy’

During Harris’ tenure as attorney general, California required organizations receiving donations to “file copies of their federal IRS Form 990 tax forms,” according to an America First Legal news release announcing the seven investigations.

“These forms include a list of all donors who contributed at least $5,000 to the charity in a given year,” the legal group explains. But, in 2021, the Supreme Court held in the case of Americans for Prosperity Foundation v. Bonta that mandatory disclosures were a violation of the First Amendment.

America First Legal says it believes that Harris may have “sought donor information about her political enemies without complying with federal law designed to protect donor privacy.”

Failure to Enforce Federal Immigration Laws’

In 2012, while serving as attorney general, Harris issued a bulletin to law enforcement in California regarding an Immigration and Customs Enforcement program called Secure Communities that enables ICE to detain and deport criminal illegal aliens. In the bulletin, Harris told law enforcement that they were not required to fulfill individual ICE immigration detainers but could instead “make their own decisions” about detainer requests.

“As California attorney general, Kamala Harris interfered with the enforcement of federal immigration laws,” according to America First Legal, adding that “as California’s top cop,” Harris may have “failed to enforce immigration laws and used her office to push a political agenda paid for by taxpayers.”

Failure to Pursue Equal Justice Under the Law’

In 2004, black gang member David Hill shot and killed San Francisco police officer Isaac Espinoza. Harris, who was the district attorney of San Francisco at the time, did not pursue the death penalty.

America First Legal says it is concerned that Kamala Harris failed to do justice when cop killers and gang members were members of minority groups.”

Failure to Disclose Conflicts of Interest’

While Harris was serving as a prosecuting attorney in Alameda County in the 1990s, she was in a romantic relationship with California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown. America First Legal holds that the relationship was a “conflict of interest.”

The group “is concerned that Kamala Harris benefited from political favoritism and is investigating whether Harris properly recused herself or otherwise disclosed conflicts of interest to the appropriate ethical authorities.”

Failure to Address Evidence of Misconduct’

In 2015, Harris began a criminal investigation into corruption inside Orange County’s jails.

“Clear evidence existed that deputy sheriffs in the county had misused informants in a manner that violated the rights of criminal defendants,” according to America First Legal. “Four years later, no charges were filed.”

The legal group believes Harris may have “ignored clear evidence of misconduct over a penal entity under her jurisdiction.”

Nature of Probes by California Fair Political Practices Commission’

The California Fair Political Practices Commission determined in 2015 that Harris had not violated state law when she received “gifts from a company owned by San Francisco interior designer Ken Fulk,” according to America First Legal.

But the legal group is “concerned that former Attorney General Harris may have been subject to numerous probes by the California Fair [Political] Practices Commission and is committed to ensuring the public is educated about such investigations.”

Failure to Address, and Potential Cover-up of, Evidence of Misconduct’

While Harris was serving as California attorney general, it came to light that state prosecutors had committed “outrageous government misconduct” in the case The People (of California) v. Efrain Velasco-Palacios, according to the California appeals court.

Prosecuting attorney Robert Murray falsified a confession from the defendant. After it was revealed that the confession was fake, the judge dismissed the charges against the defendant. Harris, however, appealed the case, arguing that the insertion of the false confession was not prosecutorial misconduct because it did not involve physical brutality.

Harris’ handling of the Velasco-Palacios case and others has led America First Legal to be “concerned that Kamala Harris intentionally ignored or covered up misconduct by prosecutors under her watch as well as her own close political aides.”

Joe Concha Op-ed: Who is the real Kamala Harris? America has so many questions and journalists aren’t asking them

Who is Kamala Harris and what does she stand for?

We thought we got an idea of her worldview and policy positions when she ran for president in the 2020 race.

KAMALA HARRIS SUPPORTERS UNSURE WHEN ASKED ABOUT VP’S POLICY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

To tick down the list, she is on video saying that she:

  • *Wants to ban fracking
  • *Wants to eliminate the fossil fuel industry.
  • *Wants to end all offshore drilling.
  • *Wants to abolish ICE.
  • *Does not support border wall construction.
  • *Does not support the Remain in Mexico policy.

You get the point.

TRUMP CAMPAIGN SLAMS VP HARRIS FOR MISSING BLACK JOURNALIST CONVENTION: ‘NOWHERE TO BE FOUND

And now, apparently, Harris has reversed herself on many of these issues. But we haven’t actually heard her explain these flip-flops, of course. Instead, these reversals are being leaked to the press from her campaign via “unnamed sources.”

Video

Which begs another question: It’s been more than 10 days since Harris secured enough delegates for the Democratic Party’s nomination, so why exactly hasn’t she taken one question from an actual journalist yet about any of her past positions on policy? She did “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” as her first interview as the presumptive Democratic Party nominee, and her handlers continue to give her the Biden treatment… where basically the strategy is to plead the Fifth all the way to Nov. 5th.

HOW VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS GOT STARTED IN POLITICS

This strategy is unsustainable, of course. Team Kamala believes they can simply ride the current sugar high for the next 95 days or so without doing one single press conference or real interview. But here’s the thing: She still trails Trump on average nationally and in almost every swing state. The Harris team is allowing Trump to define her, which is quite easy to do, given her own comments in the past.

Video

A microcosm of Trump’s strength versus Harris’ weakness was on display once again in Chicago during the National Association of Black Journalists’ convention on Wednesday afternoon.

The Republican nominee was treated with outright hostility by Rachel Scott of ABC News straight out of the gate, but Trump hammered home his points around illegal immigration impacting minorities through social services being drastically cut regarding sanitation, education and police to help pay to support those in the country illegally. Trump also underscored the cruel tax that inflation is to all communities, regardless of color.

Meanwhile, Harris decided to blow off the event and instead will do it by Zoom instead.

Why? Because her people know that if she ever had to take questions from an objective, prepared moderator, someone for example, like Fox News’ Harris Faulkner, it would be utterly disastrous to her campaign. She simply does not have the ability to think or speak extemporaneously. And her policy positions are almost indefensible.

Video

Ultimately, this race will come down to any debates Trump and Harris have. But here’s a prediction: Trump is arguing, rightly so, that he agreed to debate Biden, not Harris, on ABC in September. But now Harris is saying the debate agreement still stands.

No, it does not. Trump and Harris are supposed to debate now, making the prior agreement with Biden null and void.

Harris says she’ll still show up to the ABC debate regardless if Trump is there. I predict the former president will hold his ground, and the vice president will declare he chickened out while also declaring that there will be no more debates because Trump is “afraid” of her, with the media cheering her on every step of the way.

And that’s the goal: Avoid Trump, and any substantive questions, at all costs. And try to eke out a win without ever being held to account.

So, who is Kamala Harris?

We may never truly know. At least not until after Election Day.

Kamala Harris’ Pitiful List of Failures

Kamala Harris, #TeamKJ, #KevinJackson, #TheBlackSphere

It’s no wonder Leftists and other Democrats have tried to whitewash Kamala Harris record on the border from history. It’s abysmal.

Democrats apparently have short memories. They spent the last four years trying to cover for Joe Biden’s senility. And while it worked for a short time, ultimately Biden bit the dust; politically. Now Biden’s record of failure become Harris’ record of failure. And how much have these two ass clowns invested in Bidenflation?

Harris became the side-chick of Bidenflation, stupid enough to hit the road and vouch for it. Her ramblings on the virtue of massive inflation are legendary.

Below is her response to a reporter from Bloomberg, when asked about the untenable inflation caused by the Biden administration. Listen until around 1:20.

In this video, Harris promises to deal with the inflation crisis created by her and Captain Demento by “lowering the cost of prescription drugs”.

So, you may not eat or be able to afford to gas up your vehicle to get to work, but drug prices are low! I get the feeling that Biden-Harris doesn’t understand that people need some things every day, and not necessarily meds.

Grocery bills have doubled, and we are told that inflation is 12 percent. During the Biden years, the average family spent almost $11,000 per year more than under Trump. But help is on the way in the form of prescription drugs. So, hang in there America!

But what of Harris’ other failures. For example, look at her failures with electric vehicles (EV): The Biden Administration’s $7.5 billion effort to jump-start the electric-vehicle charging landscape is moving very, very slowly. Now more than two years after the program was signed into law in late 2021, only eight chargers have been put in place.

In April, with some fanfare, cars plugged into a station in Bradford, Vermont. Defenders encourage patience, saying the pace will quicken rapidly later this year. The allocated dollars are $5 billion through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program and $2.5 billion in Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) discretionary grant funding via the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

In the video below, Harris appears giddy to announce this new bill that delivered 8 charging stations!

Did Biden forget and accidentally build the rest in Ukraine?

How can one even account for the waste and mismanagement that would have to occur to build only 8 charging stations two years?

But there’s more. Biden-Harris were to save the poor. Considering that the Biden administration put many more people into poverty, why not “help” them more. But not with food or shelter; instead, the help comes in the form of fast internet.

Here’s how the White House website described the project:

Largest Internet Funding Announcement in History Kicks Off Administration-Wide Investing in America Tour

High-speed internet is no longer a luxury – it is necessary for Americans to do their jobs, to participate equally in school, access health care, and to stay connected with family and friends. Yet, more than 8.5 million households and small businesses are in areas where there is no high-speed internet infrastructure, and millions more struggle with limited or unreliable internet options. Just like Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Rural Electrification Act brought electricity to nearly every home and farm in America, President Biden and Vice President Harris are delivering on their historic commitment to connect everyone in America to reliable, affordable high-speed internet by the end of the decade.

The results so far? The FCC Chairman tweeted: In 2021, the Biden Administration got $42.45 billion from Congress to deploy high-speed Internet to millions of Americans. Years later, it has not connected even 1 person with those funds. In fact, it now says that no construction projects will even start until 2025 at earliest.

And adding insult to injury, the Biden Admin has been layering a partisan political agenda on top of this $42.45B program that has nothing to do with the original project. Now the initiative has been loaded with climate change mandates, DEI requirements, and other nonsense that favors government-controlled entities.

Now all these problems belong exclusively to Harris. And as I stated years ago, she wanted this job and plotted against Biden. I explain here, what most missed:

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Let’s see how long Harris can keep hers; particularly as people continue to showcase her long list of failures.

Ben Shapiro Op-ed: Kamala Harris, Candidate of Myth

So, Kamala Harris is the new Democratic candidate for president.

And, we’ve been told, she is incredible.

Not merely serviceable, a middle innings relief pitcher brought in when your starter suddenly implodes in the third inning. She is the Mariano Rivera of politics. She’s lights-out. She’s charismatic, fascinating, quick on her feet, charming. She is, in the words of the legacy media, a historic candidate—not just because she’s a black woman, a fact that explains her lightning-fast political ascent but that only Democrats are allowed to mention, and only then in the context of explaining why America requires a black female president—but because she is, apparently, so good at this.

Apparently, Harris was the candidate America needed all along. As in a bad romcom, all we needed to do was remove her glasses, brush out her hair, and put her in a better outfit—and she would transform from high school weirdo nerd into prom queen.

The media’s shift in position regarding Harris has been whiplash-inducing. After all, we were told in 2020 that she had run one of the worst campaigns in modern presidential history—mechanical, off-putting, unpleasant, incompetent, and arrogant. Then we were told that she was one of the worst vice presidents in modern history—free of accomplishment, running a completely dysfunctional office with extraordinary rates of staff turnover, so wildly unpopular that even a senile Joe Biden worried about whether Harris could compete with Donald Trump.

But now all is forgiven. All her oddities—coconut trees and electric school buses, Venn diagrams, and the significance of the passage of time—are delightful TikTok memes. Her strangely incoherent word salads, topped off with a heavy helping of smugness, are now evidence of her rhetorical brilliance. Her wild hand motions, so reminiscent of a drunken tarmac operator attempting unsuccessfully to usher a jumbo jet toward the gateway, are actually enchanting symptoms of her enthusiasm. And her positional dishonesty—the fact that she has now shifted virtually every position she ever held—is not evidence that she is a liar, but that she is astute and clever.

So, precisely what happened to turn Kamala Harris from a deeply disliked politician (35% approval rating) into an Obama-esque talent (44% approval rating)?

Joe Biden dropped out.

That’s it.

That’s the whole thing.

When Biden dropped out, the legacy media could finally end the rock-in-the-shoe discomfort of cognitive dissonance from which they had been suffering since Biden’s brain-dead debate with Trump. They had been forced by circumstance into doing something they despise: objective journalism, in which Democrats are treated as normal figures subject to cross-examination.

Since Barack Obama’s ascent nearly 20 years ago, the media have avoided just this sort of thing. Biden’s collapse onstage compelled them to do some journalism, just to cover their asses—otherwise, they would have been implicated in his health cover-up.

So, they did.

But they didn’t like it.

Now, Biden is gone. They can declare victory. And they can go right back to bathing in the warm, urine-filled kiddie pool of Democrat-media coordination they so enjoy. They’ve eaten their vegetables. Now it’s time for dessert: a heavy helping of Kamala cake. And they’re going to enjoy it.

The only question is whether the American people will fall for this quite obvious and heavy-handed routine. So far, some have. But presidential campaigns have a way of sanding off the varnish lacquered on by the friendly media. After all, at one point, the legacy media gave Hillary Clinton the same treatment. It didn’t work out well.

In the end, politicians tend to stand or fall on their own merit. Which is terrible news for Kamala Harris, since she has none.

Kamala Harris hasn’t been the presumptive Democrat nominee for even a week, and already the press is desperately trying to insist perfectly valid criticisms of her are illegitimate. If you think the media were complicit in attempting and failing to hide Joe Biden’s senility, the attempt to retcon her political career into something that resembles respectable and competent is even more brazen.

“She was never the border czar.”

“She was never considered the most liberal senator.”

“She was never a DEI hire.”

“She doesn’t owe her political career to her powerful boyfriend.”

Oh, but she wasshe wasshe was, and she does.

The dishonesty surrounding all of these issues is worth highlighting, but let’s focus on that last point involving Harris’ relationship with California’s powerful political boss Wille Brown, for no other reason than The New York Times has provided a terrific example of how the lies are coming in hot.

The Times’ “On Politics” newsletter Wednesday — think of it as political talking points for affluent wine moms, a.k.a. the Democrats’ base — was dedicated to combatting “the sexist and racist rumors that have followed Harris for years” with “the facts behind several conspiracy theories and misleading claims about Harris that have spread widely in recent days.”

Nearly the whole thing is an orgiastic recitation of errant nonsense, starting with the fact that the Times is quoting disgraced “disinformation expert” Nina Jankowicz to make the case that Harris is the victim of a disproportionate amount of online attacks. (Harris’ competitor in the presidential race was shot in the head less than two weeks ago, and, unsurprisingly, there’s been a dearth of media handwringing about the rhetorical climate that may have enabled an actual assassination attempt. That’s because an honest discussion about hateful rhetoric would involve asking basic questions such as, “Why did The New York Times win a Pulitzer for stories based on the false premise that Donald Trump stole an election by treasonously colluding with Russia?”)

But I digress. Again, the real lowlight of the Times article is its discussion of Kamala Harris’ relationship with Willie Brown. One of my favorite things “fact checkers” do is introduce a proposition as false and then try to confirm that falsity by desperately spinning a bunch of inconvenient facts that confirm the proposition is actually true. The entire section on Harris and Willie Brown is a textbook example:

The sexist insinuations point in part to her brief relationship in the 1990s with Willie Brown, who was 60 and the speaker of the California Assembly when Harris was 29 and rising in the Bay Area legal scene. He appointed Harris to two well-paid state board positions and introduced her to his political connections.

When she was campaigning to be San Francisco’s district attorney in 2003, her opponents repeatedly commented on her link to Brown — references that she told The New York Times in 2019 were “frustrating” and “designed to degrade, frankly, the conversation about why we needed a new D.A.”

During the 2003 race, which she won, she told SF Weekly that there was nothing improper about benefiting from her ties to Brown, although she described the relationship as an “albatross hanging around my neck.” She said she “brought a level of life knowledge and common sense” to the board roles, adding that “whether you agree or disagree with the system, I did the work.”

She said that she had “no doubt that I am independent of him” and that “I do not owe him a thing.”

Just so we’re clear, The New York Times is confirming Harris did in fact have a relationship with Willie Brown, who was 31 years older (and, for what it’s worth, still married at the time). Harris herself admits her career benefited significantly from said relationship. Other Democrats shared the perception she did not earn her positions. And Harris, a lawyer who initially failed the bar exam, can only say that she “brought a level of life knowledge and common sense” rather than actual qualifications to the jobs Brown appointed her to. But it’s a sexist insinuation to insist these facts are rather unflattering to Kamala!

And this is just what The New York Times is admitting. In actuality, the details are far worse than the Times is letting on. Peter Schweizer, an investigative journalist who has worked with The New York Times in the past, details quite a bit on the corrupt nature of the Harris/Brown relationship in his book, Profiles in Corruption, which has been out for four and a half years. And the facts as he lays them out are damning.

Brown, who was repeatedly investigated by the FBI for corruption, was far more involved in Harris’ career ascent than appointing her to two board positions. He was a kingmaker in California, and he was heavily involved in helping Harris get elected as San Francisco district attorney. Brown didn’t do this entirely out of the goodness of his heart. Harris was working for the previous district attorney, Terence Hallinan, and quit when she got passed over for the No. 2 position in the DA’s office.

Hallinan found himself as the subject of criticism from other city officials, but others suggested the controversy was manufactured. “This whole thing is about Kamala Harris,” a source close to Brown told the San Francisco Chronicle. “Cross one of Willie’s friends and there will be hell to pay.” Eventually, Harris ran for DA with Brown’s powerful backing — a former Brown aide managed her campaign, and Brown played a key role in her fundraising, which was incredibly successful. After starting the race polling a distant third, she won the election.

Once in office, Harris then dropped or pled out corruption charges against friends of Willie Brown that Hallinan had been pursuing. There were a number of Brown’s friends let off the hook, but most notably this included a sweetheart plea deal for a notorious city contractor caught defrauding the city by using inferior recycled concrete in sensitive projects such as parking garages and the Bay Bridge. This compromised the structural integrity of those projects and endangered lives. But Harris dropped all the fraud charges and accepted a guilty plea on a single count involving an environmental violation.

“Harris’ office had no explanation for why it dropped the concrete case,” reported the Chronicle. A better explanation is that the contractor in question was generous with campaign donations and had previously been popped for making an illegal $2,000 donation to, yup, Willie Brown.

Anyway, there’s a lot more alarming reporting in Schweizer’s book that’s worth revisiting, and it’s not a stretch to say Kamala Harris has engaged in outright corruption in her career. Suffice to say, when The New York Times takes Kamala Harris at her word that her relationship with Willie Brown was not “improper,” they’re erasing the functional difference between lying and profound ignorance. And when she’s credulously quoted saying, “I do not owe him a thing,” it’s journalistic malpractice to believe her.

To say that Kamala Harris had an affair with a man more than twice her age, leveraged his fundraising prowess and connections to launch her political career, and once in office did his corrupt bidding isn’t sexist. It’s well-grounded in fact.

But facts aren’t something The New York Times is much interested in. Kamala Harris’ late entry into the presidential race means they don’t have much time to use what’s left of their institutional clout to try to dishonestly sway a presidential race.

Kamala Harris Had Hard-Left Voting Record

By David A. Patten    |   Friday, 26 July 2024 11:57 AM EDT

Read more at https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/kamala-harris-voting-record-left/2024/07/26/id/1174096/

Caroline Sunshine on National Report (7/23/24)

The former member of Congress once rated “most politically left” of any U.S. senator — Vice President Kamala Harris — appears to be on the verge of capturing the Democratic nomination to take on former President Donald Trump.

So, just how left-wing is she?

Well, the answer seems to depend on which phase of her career is under scrutiny. When Harris’ ticket to political ascendance in California as a district attorney in San Francisco and later as attorney general required a crime fighter, she offended liberals by putting law-breakers behind bars. At the time, some activists on the left even branded her “right-wing.”

Harris eventually was able to overcome her moderate image by consistently casting far-left and “progressive” votes as a senator, and later by serving as President Joe Biden’s vice president.

Here’s some highlights of her ratings:

  • In its 2019 report card on Harris, the nonpartisan GovTrack.us watchdog ranked her “most liberal compared to all senators.”
  • Liberal-activist Americans for Democratic Action (ADA) group gave her a perfect, 100% score based on her Senate voting record in 2017 and 2018 — although in other years she did take a few less progressive, more moderate policy stances.
  • Harris received a 90% ACLU record in the 116th Congress, from 2019 to 2020.
  • The ACLU gave Harris a 100% voting record for her votes during the 117th Congress, just before she became Biden’s vice president.
  • Her lifetime ACLU approval rating stands at 93%, and she has received a perfect 100% lifetime rating from both the NAACP and Planned Parenthood.

Harris also has received the endorsement of Emily’s List, a nationwide champion of abortion. The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Democratic strategists are counting on Harris’ pro-abortion stance “to invigorate voters in November.”

When the Supreme Court in June 2022 issued its Dobbs v. Jackson ruling, overturning Roe v. Wade’s federal protection for abortion, Harris referred to abortion as a “constitutional right.” “This is a healthcare crisis,” she stated. “Millions of women in America will go to bed tonight without the healthcare and reproductive care that they had this morning.”

She has been an outspoken advocate ever since on an issue that Democrats hope to revive to weaponize against Trump, who has steadfastly reiterated the Supreme Court’s view that abortion law is determined by the states.

The Sacramento Bee reported in August 2020: “Sen. Kamala Harris’ voting record has been one of the Senate’s mostly liberal throughout her three years in Congress, according to congressional watchdog groups.”

Among the votes that put her back in good standing with progressives: Voting to enhance the power of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) and electing to terminate the state of emergency that President Trump used to begin building the border wall.

Conservative groups’ ratings echo GovTrack.us evaluation of Harris as extremely liberal, including:

  • Club for Growth, for example, has given her a moribund 4% lifetime rating, reflecting her support for higher taxation.
  • CPAC gives her a lifetime voting record of 4.45%.
  • The conservative Heritage Action for America rating gave her a 0% rating from 2019 to 2020 in the 116th Congress, and a lifetime rating of just 4%.

Assuming she wins the nomination, Harris will have to defend her record in a way that hasn’t been necessary since the 2020 campaign. One of Harris’s last votes before leaving the Senate cast in December 2020, for example, was in favor of the massive $2.3 trillion omnibus funding and COVID response package.

That federal largess has been blamed for touching off the sharp inflationary spiral that was experienced during the first two years of the Biden administration.

House Republican leaders told lawmakers in a meeting Tuesday to stop bringing up Vice President Kamala Harris’ race and gender and to focus on her record, Politico reported. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn. created a firestorm when he attacked Harris as a DEI candidate after President Joe Biden dropped out and Harris announced her candidacy, quickly becoming the presumptive Democrat nominee. Harris is of Black and South Asian descent.

“The incompetency level is at an all-time high in Washington,” Burchett wrote on social media. “The media propped up this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then dumped him for our DEI vice president.”

Burchett said he regretted the comment, even though he said, “it was the truth.”

Rep. Glenn Grothman, R-Wis., said Democrats were sticking with Harris because of her “ethnic background.”

Republicans are hoping to criticize Harris for her record on the border and for skipping Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress.

“This should not be about personalities. It should be about policy. And we have a record to compare,” Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. said to Politico after the meeting. “This has nothing to do with race. It has to do with the competence of the person running for president, the relative strength of the two candidates and what ideas they have on how to solve America’s problems. And I think in that comparison, we’ll win in a landslide.”

An unnamed House Republican told Politico the DEI attacks need to stop. DEI initiatives aim to promote inclusion of women, minorities, and other marginalized groups.

“We have everything going our way and you just can’t handle that?” the lawmaker said. “We’ll give you a cheat sheet if you don’t know what else to talk about.”

Former GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of California, also weighed in, saying calling Vice President Kamala Harris a “DEI candidate” is “stupid.”

“This DEI, that seems like a petty … look, I disagree with DEI, but she is the vice president of the United States, she is the former U.S. Senator,” McCarthy said. “These congressmen that are saying it, they’re wrong in their own instance.”

Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., who chairs the Main Street Caucus, said Republicans should focus on Harris’ record as vice president rather than “make allegations,” Politico reported.
