Blue Christmas: UN Arms Trade Treaty Goes Into Effect Dec. 24th

coal stockingThe United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs has announced that on Dec. 24th 2014 the UN Arms Trade Treaty will begin it’s enforcement.  To refresh your memory on what the UN Arms Trade Treaty actually does:

“The treaty includes export/import controls that would require officials in an importing country to collect information on the ‘end user’ of a firearm, keep the information for 20 years, and provide the information to the country from which the gun was exported. In other words, if you bought a Beretta shotgun, you would be an ‘end user’ and the U.S. government would have to keep a record of you and notify the Italian government about your purchase. That is gun registration. If the U.S. refuses to implement this data collection on law-abiding American gun owners, other nations might be required to ban the export of firearms to the U.S.”Criminals and Dictators

So what will that mean for the United States once this treaty goes into force?  Well, thanks to the Obama Administration and John Kerry for signing the most worldwide form of gun control and sovereignty invalidating piece of garbage in history, even if the Senate doesn’t ratify it, the effects will still be extensive.

First and foremost, since the US has a thing about liberty (we love it) and by nature disdains the forfeiture of its own sovereignty as well as cropped-george-washington-regarding-2nd-amandment.jpgcreating gun registries, we will not ratify and because we won’t bend a knee, the importation of firearms from other countries will all but evaporate.

Small arms from countries that have ratified the treaty include Germany, Italy, Romania and the United Kingdom and as such will be compelled by international treaty to stop importation of their wares to the United States.  Other countries that have signed up and are awaiting ratification include Austria, Belgium, and the Czech Republic; so get ready to say goodbye to your Glocks, Brownings and Czech made AK’s.

Mind you, we’re not just talking about the complete firearms either:

Parties must also regulate export of parts and components that may assemble these conventional arms.

After Christmas, while the conventional model may be to expect a drop in prices, parts for these firearms will undoubtedly go through the roof.

You can thank the Obama administration for this.

This was the “under the radar” methods that Obama was speaking of when he spoke of taking away American’s 2nd Amendment rights.  A strong US President who loved his country and the liberty it entails could have easily, as THE World Leader, squashed this entire treaty long before it became a reality.

hitlerHow do I know this?  Because the Small Arms Treaty didn’t start under Obama’s reign, it started WAY back in 1997 by the President of Costa Rica.  It languished for ten years until it finally came up for the first time at the United Nations as Resolution 61/89.

153 foreign nations voted for the resolution, 24 abstained and ONE nation stood as the lone vote rejecting the resolution.  Which country was this High Noon’s Will Kane?  You got it…AMERICA.  The Bush administration didn’t side step the issue and abstain, the Bush administration took a stand and said NO.

That ENDED the UN’s plan for global gun control right there and then.  With a lone dissenting voice the United States stopped one of the most dangerous measures the United Nations has ever tried to pass.

And don’t undervalue the impact of the United States in stopping it because after the vote, Algeria indicated that the effort must receive broad-based support from states and be based on the principles of the UN Charter.

Broad based support?  The resolution had 153 signatures and one dissenter.   It’s support was broad based.  What Algeria really meant was that: “this resolution cannot go forward without the United States.”

Which was true, until we elected the gun controller in chief with his rabid obsession of disarming his own people.2nd amendment

This is not conjecture, this is a quantifiable action/reaction delineation.

The DAY, September 25th 2013, after Obama had Kerry sign the treaty, 16 other nations signed with three more nations ratifying it immediately.  Nearly, 20 nations followed Obama’s lead that day.  Three more would sign the following day.

Before the Obama administration signed the treaty only 4 nations in the world ratified it.  Once the world saw that the US was willing to go along with it the dam gave way and countries were falling over themselves to follow suit.

So even when the Senate refuses to ratify the Treaty, because of Obama’s willingness to lead the world instead of his country, the firearms industry will be hurt by this treaty.  Thereby hurting the American gun owning citizen.

Now, you may be saying, we’ll just build them here in the USA.  And we can…or can we?

I direct your attention once again to the following aspect of the treaty:

RememberParties must also regulate export of parts and components that may assemble these conventional arms.

What actually constitutes a component?  A barrel? Sure.  A stock? Ok.  The steel and wood to make them?  Ahhhhhhh.

What about bullets?  Well, one could say that lead is also a component and can now banned from importation.  Considering that the Obama Administration shut down the last lead smelting plant in America at the end of last year, that could be a very tricky situation for the US.

The US has been shipping manufacturing and textile jobs overseas for so long that we are lacking the capabilities of just picking up and making it ourselves.

Even if we start again, at the very least, prices for firearms and bullets will sky rocket.  The UN Arms Trade Treaty will, in effect, create an embargo designed to make the firearm in America go extinct or cow the government to ratify the treaty.

Not a very nice Christmas present for the 2nd Amendment.  But on the bright side, after this most recent election the country all but assured that So making guns illegalthe UN treaty will not be ratified here and that is something.

Let this also be a reminder that in 2 years, when we pick a new President, we vote for one who will not only put the welfare of his own people before the whims of foreign states but also will have the backbone and courage to stand alone if needed.

Because frankly, even if Obama wasn’t so gung-ho of an anti-gunner, he is still a coward and would have kow-towed to the world in order to go along to get along and be liked.  Our sovereignty is in jeopardy because our leader has no spine.

Remember that in 2016.

Obama, Putin circle each other warily in China

BEIJING (AP) — On the surface, President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin were all niceties — a pat on the back here, a pleasantry there. But away from the cameras, the two leaders circled each other warily at a global summit in China, coming face to face while relations between their countries continue to deteriorate.

The White House said Obama and Putin spoke three times Tuesday on the sidelines of an Asia-Pacific economic meeting, tackling some of the tough issues that have strained their relationship, including Russia’s provocations in Ukraine and support for Syria’s embattled government. They also discussed the fast-approaching deadline in nuclear talks with Iran, in which the U.S. and Russia find themselves on the same negotiating team.

Unlike at some of their past meetings, Obama and Putin kept their deep-seated policy disagreements behind the scenes. But their public encounters suggested their relationship remains tense.

Picturesque Yanqi Lake, just outside of Beijing, became the venue for an awkward pas de deux between two of the most powerful leaders in the world. Entering an ornate, wood-paneled room for the start of the summit, Obama and Putin looked a bit like sidekicks to Chinese President Xi Jinping. The summit’s host led the way, with the American on one side and the Russian on the other.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Putin said in Obama’s direction. “Yes, it is”, concurred a reticent Obama, avoiding eye contact with Putin and addressing his response to no one in particular.

(AP) U.S. President Barack Obama, left, walks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, center,…

As the three presidents came to a stop at the head of the table, Putin reached out to give Obama a slap on the back. But Obama had turned in a different direction, and it didn’t appear that the Putin’s hand landed on its intended target.

A few hours later, the two again found themselves in close quarters under an overcast sky as leaders planted trees in honor of their counties. Putin strode confidently up to his tree, ahead of Obama, who clasped his hands behind his back before picking up a shovel and greeting a Spanish TV crew with a wave.

Neither the White House nor the Kremlin offered much in the way of detail about the policy conversations Obama and Putin had on the sidelines of the summit. Putin’s spokesman said only that the two had spoken a few times, touching on “bilateral relations, the situation around Ukraine, Syria and Iran.”

The U.S. is furious over Russia’s presumed role in fueling pro-Russian rebels in neighboring Ukraine. White House officials have accused Russia of sending heavy weapons to the separatists and shelling Ukrainian troops, and have denounced Russia’s buildup of forces along the border.Picture1

A truce reached in September between the rebels and Ukraine’s government is teetering, destabilized by what the White House calls a “blatant escalation” by Russia and rebel-organized elections in eastern Ukraine that the U.S. condemned as a “sham.” Vice President Joe Biden, in a phone call last week with Ukraine’s president, vowed further U.S. sanctions against Moscow “if Russia continued to willfully violate the terms” of the cease-fire.Picture1

Russia’s economy has taken a major hit following U.S. and EU sanctions — the ruble has plunged by a third this year and hit an all-time low last week — but Putin has dismissed the notion that he’s hurting at the hands of the West. Addressing the Asia-Pacific economic summit here Monday, Putin said his government had the resources to stabilize its currency without taking any emergency measures.

“We want Russia to play a different role,” Ben Rhodes, Obama’s deputy national security adviser, said Tuesday. “We want Russia to be a stabilizing force on issues that we care about. But they’re not going to be able to do that … if they’re violating the sovereignty of a country next door.”Picture2

(AP) U.S. President Barack Obama, left, Chinese President Xi Jinping, right, and Russian…

Putin Spanks Obama

Rhodes said Obama wouldn’t not be seeking out a meeting with Putin while in Beijing — nor in Brisbane, Australia, where the leaders will once again run into each other during a Group of 20 economic summit this weekend. “Putin knows where we stand,” Rhodes said, adding that Obama may discuss Russia’s actions with other G-20 leaders.

For Obama and Putin, awkward encounters at international gatherings have become almost expected. But the optics have gained even greater attention as the Ukraine crisis has taken center stage.

In June, on the sidelines of D-Day anniversary commemorations in Normandy, France, Obama and Putin avoided each other during a group photo, with Obama even using Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II as a buffer. The two later spoke briefly during a private leaders’ lunch.

And during a formal meeting last year during a summit in Northern Ireland, Putin slumped in his chair and sat stone-faced as Obama tried to joke about the Russian leader’s athletic ability. Obama later said Putin frequently looks like “the bored kid in the back of the classroom.”

Peshmerga fighters to get U.S. help

The additional U.S. troops also will perform non-combat roles, primarily to advise and train Iraqi and Kurdish troops and to help build “capacity and capability.”

According to a White House statement, the U.S. military will establish several sites to train nine Iraqi army brigades and three brigades of Peshmerga, the Kurdish fighting force. The news should be especially welcome to the Peshmerga, according to what Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, told WND Friday. The congressman just returned from Iraq where he was escorted by the Peshmerga to within a few miles of the front lines with ISIS, the Muslim terrorist army the U.S. has been targeting with airstrikes. Stockman said from what he saw, the Peshmerga were eager to fight but appeared severely untrained and under-equipped.

The congressman told WND, “They don’t even have enough equipment and ammunition to practice shooting.”

In contrast, he was told ISIS had now captured 6,000 pieces of military equipment from Iraq, pieces that originally came from the U.S. military. Kurdish fighters would be willing to fight ISIS forces in both Iraq and Syria, but Stockman was told neighboring Turkey had, so far, only allowed some 50 Peshmerga fighters to enter Syria.

The White House announced the U.S. military will establish two operations centers, one outside the Kurdish capital of Erbil and another outside the Iraqi capital of Baghdad. The centers will be supported by what the administration called “an appropriate array of force protection capabilities.”

The Iraqi army has appeared in desperate need of training ever since its ranks were overrun in June by ISIS forces, which captured large swaths of the country and marched within miles of Baghdad.

The White House plans to ask Congress to provide $5.6 billion for efforts in Syria and Iraq, including $1.6 billion for the new “Iraq Train and Equip” fund.

While ISIS Sells Women as Slaves, Pro-Abortion Media Whines About “War on Women”

by Katie Yoder | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 11/7/14

This is the real “War on Women.”

Iraqi News reported Nov. 3 on an ISIS document that supposedly listed the prices at which to sell Yazidi and Christian women and children abducted by the terrorist group. Citing economic reasons, ISIS listed the worth of a young woman at $85, of girl at $128, of a child – as young as a year old – at $171. Only a few media outlets covered the story. The feminist media didn’t , maybe because free contraceptives weren’t at issue.

waronwomen3Translating the ISIS document, the news site revealed, “The market to sell women and spoils of war has been experiencing a significant decrease, which has adversely affected ISIS revenue and financing of the Mujahideen.”

In response, the group determined specific prices for women and children, while “vowing to execute whoever violates those controls.” This is the worth of a human life, according to ISIS:

  • A woman, 40 to 50-years-old: 50,000 dinars. ($42.90)

  • A woman, 30 to 40-years-old: 75,000 dinars. ($64.35)

  • A woman, 20 to 30-years-old: 100,000 dinars. ($85.80)

  • A girl, 10 to 20-years-old: 150,000 dinars. ($128.70)

  • A child, 1 to 9-years-old: 200,000 dinars. ($171.60)

cause of deathNew York PostDaily MailRTInternational Business TimesOpposing Views and Christianity Today are among the few outlets to report on the story.

The news came after a recent video emerged of ISIS fighters allegedly bartering over Yazidi women during a “slave market day.” In it, the men chant, “Where is my Yazidi girl?”

One man declared, “If she is 15-years-old … I have to check her … Check her teeth” and continued, “If she doesn’t have teeth, why would I want her? Another decided, “I buy her for a pistol,” “I buy her for a Glock.”

In reaction, Tearfund’s Katie Harrison told Christianity Today about the “the hasty marriage ceremonies between buyer and the woman they’ve bought in order to justify his raping her.”

“And these are not just grown women,” Harrison said. “The youngest girl we heard of being taken for rape was three years old.”Pedophiles

This is the war on women the media don’t report on. Instead, feminist media prefer a “silly” war, where the goals are to ban the word “bossy,” demand free tampons and label abortion as “good” and “moral.”

You’d think, at the very least, they would find time for this too.

Ukraine Says Russian Tanks Have Crossed the Border

by Kurt Nimmo | Infowars.com | November 7, 2014

The government in Kiev has once again accused Russia of sending tanks into eastern Ukraine. Claim made after vote was held in Donetsk People’s Republic on Sunday

Although unconfirmed, the Ukrainian military says 32 tanks and 30 trucks crossed over into the Luhansk region where rebels opposed to the government in Kiev are making a stand.

Citizen journalists, however, claim to have video showing the deployment:

ukraine

“The deployment continues of military equipment and Russian mercenaries to the front lines,” military spokesman Andriy Lysenko told the BBC.

In August, the Ukrainian government claimed Russia had invaded the country. NATO used the unverified invasion as a pretext when it announced troop deployments in Eastern Europe.

NATO released satellite imagery of what it said were tank and truck columns crossing over into Ukraine. Critics argued it was not clear if the images were of military vehicles inside Russia or Ukraine.

Donetsk Separatist Vote

On Sunday a vote was held in the Donetsk People’s Republic and  separatist leader Alexander Zakharchenko was sworn into office.

Russia said it “respects” the vote after previously stating it supported it.

“We support the continuation of the Minsk process and advocate holding another meeting of the Contact Group,” said Russian foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov.putin 01

The Minsk process is a reference to a ceasefire agreement reached in the capital of Belorussia on September 5.

Earlier this year separatist leaders declared victory after a large number of residents in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions voted in a Crimea-style referendum calling for the establishment of People’s Republics.

On May 24, the two separatist republics signed an agreement creating a confederation called the Federal State of Novorossiya, or New Russia.

Putin Spanks Obama in New Russian Propaganda Art Gallery

MId Term drawing

Researched and Written by |Nov. 3, 2014

Andrew MakhoninAndrew MakhoninVladimir “Putin is a gift to caricaturists,” said Barry Blitt, a New Yorker artist, when he designed a Sochi Olympic-themed cover earlier this year, featuring the Russian leader in frilly ice skating attire. The caricature artists of Russia take a very different approach. On Friday a gallery titled “No Filters” with the work of about 100 cartoonists opened in Moscow, and just about all their images show Putin favorably: as a strongman, a political chess master, and a fighter against fascists and terrorists. In one conspicuously large work, Putin is spanking President Barack Obama, who has the body of schoolboy.

“Targeted sanctions,” the caption on that caricature reads – a jab at America’s economic strategy against Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine. Another image shows Putin tugging on Obama’s ear, scolding him not to “touch” Ukraine again. A third shows Obama and Ukraine’s president, both dressed as peasant girls working the fields, cowering from Putin who sits atop a tank and asks, “Hey girls, have you seen any fascists here?”

There is some truth to the first image, at least. Putin has run circles around the U.S. when it The Interwebzcomes to the war in Ukraine. The Obama administration has called for an end to Russian aggression since Putin invaded Crimea. The U.S. has tried to put pressure on Russia by initiating first targeted sanctions and then broad ones. That began in March, and yet Russia’s military incursion persists to this day, and has grown worse. Obama gave his own policies credit as being “the only reason” a ceasefire was agreed upon in September – some of the bloodiest fighting started shortly thereafter. And, in spite of strong rhetoric one week, like the U.S. “will not accept Russia’s occupation and illegal annexation of Crimea or any part of Ukraine,” Obama allegedly privately admitted around the same time that Crimea was “gone” for good.

Obama’s shortcomings aside, Putin is not the savvy strongman his propagandists present him as. Russia’s currency continues to hit record lows, and the nation’s economy is at recession levels. And the annexation of Crimea leaves Russia with a 10,000-square mile welfare money pit.

That Putin is fighting against fascism is laughable. The “Young Guards,” the youth-wing of his political party, set up the gallery to display the work of “patriotically oriented artists” who want to “restore in the minds of citizens respect and pride in their country.”

A poll last month showed about half of Russia ns believes Putin has a cult of personality. Another poll shows about half of Russians fears Soviet-style mass repression will return in their lifetime. Reason has talked to several Russian libertarians about Putin’s domestic crackdown on political opposition and the press.

On Friday, I reported on the return of Cold War-type action, like Russia flying nuclear-capable bombers over Europe.

Swedish Police Release Extensive Report Detailing Control Of 55 ‘No-Go Zones’ By Muslim Criminal Gangs

America are you paying attention

Swedish police have ceded control over 55 “no-go zones” to predominately Muslim criminal gangs.

An extensive report mapping out 55 no-go zones was released Oct. 24, showing where law enforcement has all but handed control to criminal gangs.

Officers frequently face outright attacks when trying to enter the areas, which is a step up from the previous problem with attacks on mailmen, fire trucks, ambulances and similar services. Fire trucks and ambulances had to wait for police escort to enter the areas, but now the police themselves need protection.

The no-go areas heavily coincide with the map of the 186 “exclusion areas” aka. crowded, predominantly Muslim immigrant ghettos, where education is low, employment is lower and the only local business thriving is drug dealing.

America are you paying attention

As the real law backs away, organized crime emerges to take its place. The police report notes “a wider clientel [in the areas] are increasingly turning to the criminal authorities for justice” in a Godfather-like fashion. Unofficial courts and punishments are often meted out according to the codes of the home cultures of the dominant gangs. The report also points out that there are vehicle checkpoints at the borders of some of these areas. The bad news is it’s not the police doing them; it’s the gangs securing home turf against law enforcement and rival gangs.

The gangs try to keep a semi-low profile in many areas so as not to interfere with the “business” of dealing drugs, protection rackets and similar illicit activity.

Others seek active confrontation with police to establish absolute dominance.

America are you paying attention

A pair of policemen in May were in pursuit of a suspect and unwisely entered the no-go zone of the southern city of Landskrona. Their car was rammed and the officers were forced out of the car. They were cornered by a crowd of some 50 hostile thugs and drew their weapons to hold them back and called for immediate backup.

Several nearby patrol cars responded to the call and sped towards the scene, only to be ordered to stop half a mile away — just outside the no-go border. The police commander didn’t send the backup units in, fearing escalation and all-out war. The cornered police officers were left to fend for themselves. As luck would have it, one of the officers knew a few residents who interfered and convinced the thugs to let them leave.

In response to these no-go zones, the Swedish police is expanding its soft approach of dialogue and understanding. After the extensive 2013 Stockholm ghetto riots with hundreds of burned cars and buildings, police responded by mostly staying away and sending forth special “dialogue officers” to grill halal hot dogs with the miscreants and make them see the errors of their ways.

Starting next year, the Stockholm Policy Academy will be moved to Södertörns Högskola, where the new curriculum will be “progressive” with more focus on cultural sensitivity, ethical awareness, gender issues and more. The aspiring police officers will achieve “greater understanding of the intercultural perspective.”comment 01

– WND – http://www.wnd.com – ISIS eyes northern Lebanon in major offensive

lebanon-isis

WASHINGTON – Northern Lebanon could fall into the hands of the Islamic jihadist army ISIS as battles between Sunni jihadist groups and the Lebanese army in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli portend even greater violence in coming weeks.

“The northern part of the country could explode in the next several weeks,” one Lebanese source who is closely monitoring developments told WND.mlebanon

ISIS, which already has proclaimed large portions of Syria and Iraq as part of its Islamic “caliphate,” has stated it aims to take over all of the Levant, which not only would include Lebanon but all of Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Iraq, portions of southern Turkey and Israel.

Sources tell WND that as winter approaches, it is possible for a two-pronged attack in coming weeks from the north and from the Qalamoun mountain region in Syria. The offensive would place a combination of jihadist fighters from the al-Qaida-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra Front and ISIS in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley in the heart of the country.

As winter approaches, sources say the ISIS jihadists in the Qalamoun Mountains near the Lebanese border will want to make their move to avoid becoming stranded.

The Bekaa Valley region, however, is controlled mainly by Shiites who are well-armed but see an increasing flow of Syrian refugees who could take up arms with the jihadist militants.

Currently, there are close to 2 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon living in squalid conditions in isolated camps with lack of fresh water and exposure to disease.

Lebanon itself has held the refugees at arm’s length and now is refusing to take on any more, even though one of main entry points from Syria into Lebanon, the Masnaa crossing, is teaming daily with refugees who want to escape the civil war.

Sources say the conditions add to the desperation of refugees who see no alternative to their current plight, making them susceptible to ISIS recruiting efforts, especially among the young people.leb explan

Swallowed up

The informed sources say concern is mounting that the northern portion of the country that encompasses Tripoli could be swallowed into the ISIS caliphate as the Lebanese army – along with the help of the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah – engage ISIS and al-Nusra fighters who also are aligned with another extreme Sunni jihadist group, the Abdullah Azzam Brigade.

Both al-Nusra and ISIS have taken captive some 20 Lebanese army soldiers and are using them as leverage. Each group, however, has executed a captured soldier to press demands for the release of captured jihadists who are in a prison in Beirut.

“If more Lebanese army troops are killed, it will definitely bring on an all-out Sunni-Shiite war,” one source told WND.

He indicated that Hezbollah fighters then will launch an all-out attack on Sunni strongholds as well as the Syrian refugee camps.

It’s very important you take the time to watch the following video explanation of what is being reported on:

syria iraq

Another source said the strategy of ISIS and al-Nusra is to put the Lebanese army more into an urban warfare environment, increasing the chances of collateral damage to civilians. The objective is to portray the army and its Hezbollah ally as hostile to Sunnis.

To prepare for luring the Lebanese army into urban warfare, sources say ISIS and al-Nusra fighters have deployed themselves near army positions. Lebanese army checkpoints already have been attacked. Mosques in many of the Sunni-controlled towns are said to be supplied with arms.

It wouldn’t be the first time that Sunni jihadist fighters have taken on the Lebanese army.

Beginning in May 2007, the Lebanese Internal Security Forces, the ISF, confronted the al-Qaida-affiliated Fatah al-Islam at the Nahr al-Bared Sunni Palestinian camp a few miles from the Lebanese city of Tripoli.

For some three months, the ISF shelled the camp, with most of the inhabitants fleeing to nearby Palestinian refugee camps in Tripoli, Beirut and Saida, or Sidon.

Nahr al-Bared is the home of some 30,000 displaced Palestinians. Fighters of Fatah al-Islam allegedly had robbed a bank and had hidden out at the Palestinian camp, which like many similar camps are overpopulated. They have a very high rate of unemployment and are home to many jihadist groups, including al-Nusra, Abdullah Azzam Brigades and ISIS.

Sources tell WND that ISIS already may have some 40 cells spread out in Sunni-dominated regions of Lebanon.

The jihadist group seeks to protect the Sunni areas from the Shiite Hezbollah, which has been sending its own fighters into Syria to help prop up the embattled regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a Shiite-Alawite allied with Shiite Iran.

Declaration of war

Earlier this year, al-Nusra had “declared war” on the Lebanese army, which had manned checkpoints in Syria and accused the army of permitting Hezbollah fighters to pass to fight alongside the Syrian army.

Now, the Sunni jihadist groups equate the Lebanese army with Hezbollah in seeking to extend its influence in Lebanon.

In light of the uptick in attacks on the Lebanese army, the United States has begun to rush weapons and ammunition, among other logistical support.

Sources tell WND, however, that much of the logistical support destined for the army is winding up in the hands of Hezbollah. WND was unable to confirm the development independently.

There remains concern over the Lebanese army confronting al-Nusra and ISIS fighters who resort to guerrilla warfare in the face of a standing army. Counter-insurgency tactics generally are effective against a standing army that isn’t trained in such tactics.

The Pope’s Embrace Of Evolution Brings Us One Step Closer To A One World Religion

Read more at http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/10/popes-embrace-evolution-brings-us-one-step-closer-one-world-religion/#xZe7eTtDb6VgbWE4.99

If you wanted to create a religion that almost everyone would love, how would you do it? Perhaps you would change your faith to make it more appealing to a modern world that is changing at blinding speed. Perhaps you would indicate that you are willing to become more “mainstream” on hot button issues such as “homosexual” rights. Perhaps you would invite leaders of other religions from all over the planet to come visit you and make it clear that you consider all of those religions to be valid as well. And all of that “unscientific stuff” about God creating the world in six days and creating mankind out of the dust of the Earth? Well, all of that is just going to have to be thrown out. If all of this sounds vaguely familiar to you, that is because this is exactly what Pope Francis has been doing.

To say that Pope Francis is an extremely popular pontiff would be a massive understatement. He was showered with praise by media outlets all over the globe when he responded to a question about homosexuality with the following phrase: “Who am I to judge?” From the earliest days of his papacy, he has been visited by an endless stream of religious dignitaries from all over the planet, and they all seem to have nothing but good things to say about him. At this point, even most Muslims seem to love this Pope. Earlier this year, Pope Francis took the unprecedented step of authorizing “Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran” at the Vatican for the first time ever. This Pope seems to have a sixth sense for making the right public relations moves, and he appears to be destined to become one of the most loved popes ever.

This week, Pope Francis is making headlines all over the world for publicly embracing the Big Bang and the theory of evolution. The following are some of the Pope’s statements that are popping up in newspapers worldwide

-“When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so.”

-“The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it.”

-“Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve.”

And not only has the Catholic Church eagerly embraced these theories, there are also several prominent Catholic theologians that are now fully condemning the idea of a “young Earth” and the idea that God created man in a single day.

In fact, the head of the Vatican Observatory says that such notions are “almost blasphemous theology”

As previously reported, earlier this month, Guy Consolmagno with the Vatican Observatory told Australia’s Fairfax Media that young earth creation beliefs are nearly tantamount to blasphemy.

“It’s almost blasphemous theology,” Consolmagno alleged, according to the Brisbane Times. “It’s certainly not the tradition of Catholicism and never has been and it misunderstands what the Bible is and it misunderstands what science is.”

Eagle ReallyReally?

Consolmagno is quite an interesting character. He also says that he is looking forward to the day when extraterrestrials show up, and he would be quite willing to baptize them if that is what they want…

Consolmagno, who is the keeper of the Pope’s meteorite collection, said he would be happy to baptize extraterrestrial creatures if they wanted the blessing. He added the presence of extraterrestrial life, “does not disprove the existence of God”.

Instead, the discovery of “tentacled horrors from the void” should lead people to question what being human means. “When we say human, human as compared to what?” he asked.

In a 2010 statement, Consolmagno said that “all entities – despite how many tentacles they might have – have a soul”.

In the booklet, Consolmagno tries also to answer important questions, such as, “Should the Church send out missionaries to alien planets?”, “What’s going to happen when the world ends?” and “Do extraterrestrials have their own version of Jesus?”

Right now, the Catholic Church is experiencing a resurgence in popularity.

The changes that this new Pope is making seem to be drawing in lots of new people.

But there is one group that Pope Francis does not seem to care for very much at all, and that is Christian fundamentalists. It is not just creation that he disagrees with them about. He disagrees with them about a whole host of issues, and he says that there is not any room for “fundamentalism” in Christianity…

Following his first visit to the Middle East as pope last month, the pontiff criticized fundamentalism in Christianity, Islam and Judaism as a form of violence.

“A fundamentalist group, even if it kills no one, even it strikes no one, is violent. The mental structure of fundamentalism is violence in the name of God.”Eagle Really

But precisely what is “fundamentalism”?

The following is the definition that you get when you do a Google search…

“a form of a religion, especially Islam or Protestant Christianity, that upholds belief in the strict, literal interpretation of scripture.”

So does the Pope actually have a problem with people that believe that the Bible is literally true?

Perhaps someone should ask him that question.

And it is obvious that the Pope does not believe what the Bible literally says about how the world was created and about how humanity came to be.

Of course most people these days would agree with the Pope, but what does the science actually tell us?

When people debate these issues the attitude of most evolutionists seems to be that everybody else believes in Darwinism so you better believe it too.

But that doesn’t work for me.

As an attorney, I am always looking for the evidence. And I have been searching for good evidence for the theory of evolution for decades. But I haven’t been able to find any. I have investigated these matters very carefully, and I have concluded that the scientific evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of those that argue that God created this world.

I have published these points before, but I think that they bear repeating. The following facts are from my previous article entitled “44 Reasons Why Evolution Is Just A Fairy Tale For Adults“…

#1 If the theory of evolution was true, we should have discovered millions upon millions of transitional fossils that show the development of one species into another species. Instead, we have zero.

#2 When Charles Darwin came up with his theory, he admitted that no transitional forms had been found at that time, but he believed that huge numbers certainly existed and would eventually be discovered

“Lastly, looking not to any one time, but to all time, if my theory be true, numberless intermediate varieties, linking closely together all the species of the same group, must assuredly have existed. But, as by this theory, innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?”

#3 Even some of the most famous evolutionists in the world acknowledge the complete absence of transitional fossils in the fossil record. For example, Dr. Colin Patterson, former senior paleontologist of the British Museum of Natural History and author of “Evolution” once wrote the following

“I fully agree with your comments about the lack of direct illustration of evolutionary transitions in my book. If I knew of any, fossil or living, I would certainly have included them …. I will lay it on the line – there is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument.”

#4 Stephen Jay Gould, Professor of Geology and Paleontology at Harvard University, once wrote the following about the lack of transitional forms…

“The absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major transitions in organic design, indeed our inability, even in our imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases, has been a persistent and nagging problem for gradualistic accounts of evolution.”

#5 Evolutionist Stephen M. Stanley of Johns Hopkins University has also commented on the stunning lack of transitional forms in the fossil record…

“In fact, the fossil record does not convincingly document a single transition from one species to another.”

#6 If “evolution” was happening right now, there would be millions of creatures out there with partially developed features and organs. But instead there are none.

#7 If the theory of evolution was true, we should not see a sudden explosion of fully formed complex life in the fossil record. Instead, that is precisely what we find.

#8 Paleontologist Mark Czarnecki, an evolutionist, once commented on the fact that complex life appears very suddenly in the fossil record…

“A major problem in proving the theory has been the fossil record; the imprints of vanished species preserved in the Earth’s geological formations. This record has never revealed traces of Darwin’s hypothetical intermediate variants – instead species appear and disappear abruptly, and this anomaly has fueled the creationist argument that each species was created by God.”

#9 The sudden appearance of complex life in the fossil record is so undeniable that even Richard Dawkins has been forced to admit it…

“It is as though they [fossils] were just planted there, without any evolutionary history. Needless to say this appearance of sudden planting has delighted creationists. Both schools of thought (Punctuationists and Gradualists) despise so-called scientific creationists equally, and both agree that the major gaps are real, that they are true imperfections in the fossil record. The only alternative explanation of the sudden appearance of so many complex animal types in the Cambrian era is divine creation and both reject this alternative.”

#10 Nobody has ever observed macroevolution take place in the laboratory or in nature. In other words, nobody has ever observed one kind of creature turn into another kind of creature. The entire theory of evolution is based on blind faith.

#11 Evolutionist Jeffrey Schwartz, a professor of anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, openly admits that “the formation of a new species, by any mechanism, has never been observed.

#12 Even evolutionist Stephen J. Gould of Harvard University has admitted that the record shows that species do not change. The following is how he put it during a lecture at Hobart & William Smith College

“Every paleontologist knows that most species don’t change. That’s bothersome….brings terrible distress. ….They may get a little bigger or bumpier but they remain the same species and that’s not due to imperfection and gaps but stasis. And yet this remarkable stasis has generally been ignored as no data. If they don’t change, its not evolution so you don’t talk about it.”

#13 Anyone that believes that the theory of evolution has “scientific origins” is fooling themselves. It is actually a deeply pagan religious philosophy that can be traced back for thousands of years.

#14 Anything that we dig up that is supposedly more than 250,000 years old should have absolutely no radiocarbon in it whatsoever. But instead, we find it in everything that we dig up – even dinosaur bones. This is clear evidence that the “millions of years” theory is simply a bunch of nonsense

It’s long been known that radiocarbon (which should disappear in only a few tens of thousands of years at the most) keeps popping up reliably in samples (like coal, oil, gas, etc.) which are supposed to be ‘millions of years’ old. For instance, CMI has over the years commissioned and funded the radiocarbon testing of a number of wood samples from ‘old’ sites (e.g. with Jurassic fossils, inside Triassic sandstone, burnt by Tertiary basalt) and these were published (by then staff geologist Dr Andrew Snelling) in Creation magazine and Journal of Creation. In each case, with contamination eliminated, the result has been in the thousands of years, i.e. C-14 was present when it ‘shouldn’t have been’. These results encouraged the rest of the RATE team to investigate C-14 further, building on the literature reviews of creationist M.D. Dr Paul Giem.

In another very important paper presented at this year’s ICC, scientists from the RATE group summarized the pertinent facts and presented further experimental data. The bottom line is that virtually all biological specimens, no matter how ‘old’ they are supposed to be, show measurable C-14 levels. This effectively limits the age of all buried biota to less than (at most) 250,000 years.

#15 The odds of even a single sell “assembling itself” by chance are so low that they aren’t even worth talking about. The following is an excerpt from Jonathan Gray’s book entitled “The Forbidden Secret“…

Even the simplest cell you can conceive of would require no less than 100,000 DNA base pairs and a minimum of about 10,000 amino acids, to form the essential protein chain. Not to mention the other things that would also be necessary for the first cell.

Bear in mind that every single base pair in the DNA chain has to have the same molecular orientation (“left-hand” or “right hand”)? As well as that, virtually all the amino acids must have the opposite orientation. And every one must be without error.

“Now,” explained Larry, “to randomly obtain those correct orientations, do you know your chances? It would be 1 chance in 2110,000, or 1 chance in 1033,113!

“To put it another way, if you attempted a trillion, trillion, trillion combinations every second for 15 billion years, the odds you would achieve all the correct orientations would still only be one chance in a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion … and the trillions would continue 2755 times!

“It would be like winning more than 4700 state lotteries in a row with a single ticket purchased for each. In other words…impossible.”

#16 How did life learn to reproduce itself? This is a question that evolutionists do not have an answer for.

#17 In 2007, fishermen caught a very rare creature known as a Coelacanth. Evolutionists originally told us that this “living fossil” had gone extinct 70 million years ago. It turns out that they were only off by 70 million years.

#18 According to evolutionists, the Ancient Greenling Damselfly last showed up in the fossil record about 300 million years ago. But it still exists today. So why hasn’t it evolved at all over that time frame?

#19 Darwinists believe that the human brain developed without the assistance of any designer. This is so laughable it is amazing that there are any people out there that still believe this stuff. The truth is that the human brain is amazingly complex. The following is how a PBS documentary described the complexity of the human brain: “It contains over 100 billion cells, each with over 50,000 neuron connections to other brain cells.”

#20 The following is how one evolutionist pessimistically assessed the lack of evidence for the evolution of humanity…

“Even with DNA sequence data, we have no direct access to the processes of evolution, so objective reconstruction of the vanished past can be achieved only by creative imagination.”

#21 Perhaps the most famous fossil in the history of the theory of evolution, “Piltdown Man,” turned out to be a giant hoax.

#22 If the neutron were not about 1.001 times the mass of the proton, all protons would have decayed into neutrons or all neutrons would have decayed into protons, and therefore life would not be possible. How can we account for this?

#23 If gravity was stronger or weaker by the slimmest of margins, then life sustaining stars like the sun could not exist. This would also make life impossible. How can we account for this?

#24 Why did evolutionist Dr. Lyall Watson make the following statement?…

“The fossils that decorate our family tree are so scarce that there are still more scientists than specimens. The remarkable fact is that all of the physical evidence we have for human evolution can still be placed, with room to spare, inside a single coffin!”

#25 Apes and humans are very different genetically. As DarwinConspiracy.com explains, “the human Y chromosome has twice as many genes as the chimpanzee Y chromosome and the chromosome structures are not at all similar.”

#26 How can we explain the creation of new information that is required for one animal to turn into another animal? No evolutionary process has ever been shown to be able to create new biological information. One scientist described the incredible amount of new information that would be required to transform microbes into men this way

“The key issue is the type of change required — to change microbes into men requires changes that increase the genetic information content, from over half a million DNA ‘letters’ of even the ‘simplest’ self-reproducing organism to three billion ‘letters’ (stored in each human cell nucleus).”

#27 Evolutionists would have us believe that there are nice, neat fossil layers with older fossils being found in the deepest layers and newer fossils being found in the newest layers. This simply is not true at all

The fossil layers are not found in the ground in the nice neat clean order that evolutionists illustrate them to be in their textbooks. There is not one place on the surface of the earth where you may dig straight down and pass through the fossil layers in the order shown in the textbooks. The neat order of one layer upon another does not exist in nature. The fossil bearing layers are actually found out of order, upside down (backwards according to evolutionary theory), missing (from where evolutionists would expect them to be) or interlaced (“younger” and “older” layers found in repeating sequences). “Out of place” fossils are the rule and not the exception throughout the fossil record.

#28 Evolutionists believe that the ancestors of birds developed hollow bones over thousands of generations so that they would eventually be light enough to fly. This makes absolutely no sense and is beyond ridiculous.

#29 If dinosaurs really are tens of millions of years old, why have scientists found dinosaur bones with soft tissue still in them? The following is from an NBC News report about one of these discoveries…

For more than a century, the study of dinosaurs has been limited to fossilized bones. Now, researchers have recovered 70 million-year-old soft tissue, including what may be blood vessels and cells, from a Tyrannosaurus rex.

#30 Which evolved first: blood, the heart, or the blood vessels for the blood to travel through?

#31 Which evolved first: the mouth, the stomach, the digestive fluids, or the ability to poop?

#32 Which evolved first: the windpipe, the lungs, or the ability of the body to use oxygen?

#33 Which evolved first: the bones, ligaments, tendons, blood supply, or the muscles to move the bones?

#34 In order for blood to clot, more than 20 complex steps need to successfully be completed. How in the world did that process possibly evolve?

#35 DNA is so incredibly complex that it is absolutely absurd to suggest that such a language system could have “evolved” all by itself by accident…

When it comes to storing massive amounts of information, nothing comes close to the efficiency of DNA. A single strand of DNA is thousands of times thinner than a strand of human hair. One pinhead of DNA could hold enough information to fill a stack of books stretching from the earth to the moon 500 times.

Although DNA is wound into tight coils, your cells can quickly access, copy, and translate the information stored in DNA. DNA even has a built-in proofreader and spell-checker that ensure precise copying. Only about one mistake slips through for every 10 billion nucleotides that are copied.

#36 Can you solve the following riddle by Perry Marshall?…

1) DNA is not merely a molecule with a pattern; it is a code, a language, and an information storage mechanism.

2) All codes are created by a conscious mind; there is no natural process known to science that creates coded information.

3) Therefore DNA was designed by a mind.

If you can provide an empirical example of a code or language that occurs naturally, you’ve toppled my proof. All you need is one.

#37 Evolutionists simply cannot explain why our planet is so perfectly suited to support life.

#38 Shells from living snails have been “carbon dated” to be 27,000 years old.

#39 If humans have been around for so long, where are all of the bones and all of the graves? The following is an excerpt from an article by Don Batten

Evolutionists also claim there was a ‘Stone Age’ of about 100,000 years when between one million and 10 million people lived on Earth. Fossil evidence shows that people buried their dead, often with artefacts—cremation was not practised until relatively recent times (in evolutionary thinking). If there were just one million people alive during that time, with an average generation time of 25 years, they should have buried 4 billion bodies, and many artefacts. If there were 10 million people, it would mean 40 billion bodies buried in the earth. If the evolutionary timescale were correct, then we would expect the skeletons of the buried bodies to be largely still present after 100,000 years, because many ordinary bones claimed to be much older have been found. However, even if the bodies had disintegrated, lots of artefacts should still be found.

#40 Evolutionists claim that just because it looks like we were designed that does not mean that we actually were. They often speak of the “illusion of design,” but that is kind of like saying that it is an “illusion” that a 747 airplane or an Apple iPhone were designed. And of course the human body is far more complex that a 747 or an iPhone.

#41 If you want to be part of the “scientific community” today, you must accept the theory of evolution no matter how absurd it may seem to you. Richard Lewontin of Harvard once made the following comment regarding this harsh reality…

We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, . . . in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated commitment to materialism. . . . we are forced by our a priori adherence to material causes to create an apparatus of investigation and set of concepts that produce material explanations, no matter how counterintuitive, no matter how mystifying to the uninitiated. Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.

#42 Time Magazine once made the following statement about the lack of evidence for the theory of evolution…

“Yet despite more than a century of digging, the fossil record remains maddeningly sparse. With so few clues, even a single bone that doesn’t fit into the picture can upset everything. Virtually every major discovery has put deep cracks in the conventional wisdom and forced scientists to concoct new theories, amid furious debate.”

#43 Malcolm Muggeridge, the world famous journalist and philosopher, once made the following statement about the absurdity of the theory of evolution…

“I myself am convinced that the theory of evolution, especially the extent to which it’s been applied, will be one of the great jokes in the history books of the future. Posterity will marvel that so very flimsy and dubious an hypothesis could be accepted with the incredible credulity that it has.”

#44 In order to believe the theory of evolution, you must have enough blind faith to believe that life just popped into existence from nonlife, and that such life just happened to have the ability to take in the nourishment it needed, to expel waste, and to reproduce itself, all the while having everything it needed to survive in the environment in which it suddenly found itself. Do you have that much blind faith?

So what do you believe?

Netanyahu Responds To “Chickenshit” Comment: “I’m Being Attacked Because I’m Defending Israel”

MId Term drawing

Israels-Back-590-LISpeaking in Hebrew, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to being called “chickenshit” by an anonymous high-ranking Obama administration official.

“I have been on the battlefield many times,” Netanyahu said in a speech Wednesday. “I have risked my life for the country and I am not prepared to make concessions that will endanger our state.”

“It must be understood that our supreme interests, with security and the unity of Jerusalem first and foremost, are not among the top concerns of those anonymous elements that are attacking us and me personally, because the attack on me comes only because I am defending the State of Israel,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.

“If I did not defend the State of Israel, if I did not vigorously uphold our national and security interests, they would not attack me. And despite all the attacks against me, I will continue to defend our state,” Netanyahu said.

Earlier this month, Kurds in Germany clashed with radical Muslims in the northern city of Hamburg and elsewhere in street clashes fueled by the conflict involving the jihadist group Islamic State in northern Iraq and Syria.

Europe is different from the U.S. in which political activism either takes on extremist left wing or ultra conservative right wing forms. The media on the left says that these groups end up uniting with neo-Nazis and fascists while others say that the German media is demonizing the movement with the usual “Nazi” slur.

Despite the ridicule, soccer clubs have held meetings in at least three other cities, Monchengladbach, Hannover and Mannheim, to promote unity in the fight against the Islamification of Germany.…America are you paying attention

In Germany, “Hooligans gegen Salafisten” appears to be a growing broad spectrum anti-Islamification movement.

Hooligan culture is on the rise again in Germany. Fan commissioners from Aachen, Braunschweig, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt report that hooligans who were active as long ago as the 1990s are once again rising and are on the increase in what the media portrays as “right-wing motivated behavior”.

On Twitter, users tweeting under the #hogesa tag have written, “This movement must never rest until we are finally in charge of our own country again.” One woman wrote, “Germany is finally waking up,” while another tweet included a German flag bearing the words, “We don’t want a [Muslim] theocracy.”

Rainer Wendt, chair of the German Police Union, claims that the hooligan groups and the right-wing scene more generally are merely exploiting the topic of Salafism in Germany in order to mobilize their sympathizers and attract new supporters. Wendt adds that such groups’ frequent assertion that the German state is failing in its fight against Islamists is “nonsense,” saying, “What these people don’t accept is that we’re using legal means to address the matter rather than crowbars.”

America are you paying attention

They even have a song Hooligans gegen Salafisten (Hooligans Against [Muslim] Salafists) and one can decipher “Muhammad” “Caliphate” “Sharia” “Taliban” and “Muslim” and you get the picture. What Europeans are saying is that “we had enough”:

Polish Troops on the Move

MId Term drawing

“This feels familiar.”

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Putin over ObamaAfter Russia’s March annexation of Crimea, reports surfaced of serious human rights abuses against both Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians who refused Russian citizenship. Now, threats of military action from pro-Russian separatists in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of eastern Ukraine have eastern Europe on alert, and have motivated Poland to make changes to its military structure that haven’t been seen since the Cold War.

From the Associated Press:

[Polish Defense Minister] Tomasz Siemoniak said the troops are needed in the east because of the conflict in neighboring Ukraine.

“The geopolitical situation has changed, we have the biggest crisis of security since the Cold War and we must draw conclusions from that,” Siemoniak said.

He said that at least three military bases in the east will see their populations increase from the current 30 percent of capacity to almost 90 percent by 2017, and that more military hardware will be moved to those bases as well.

He said it was not some “nervous or radical move” but that because of this “situation of threat we would like those units in the east of Poland to be more efficient.”

Ukraine-Purse-BanditAccording to the AP report, current military establishments along the eastern border of Poland are only 30% staffed as part of a long term plan to move troops to those installations only in the event of serious conflict.

This troop movement, then, is not insignificant.

Poland’s position on the conflict in Ukraine between Kiev and Russian separatists has caused tension between Poland and Russia; that tension escalated earlier this month as a result of Poland’s outspoken support of Kiev’s efforts to quell the separatist movement:

After a series of warnings from the Kremlin that Warsaw was a possible target of a Russian nuclear strike, the Polish government that was installed in September toned down its language and said it was going to focus more on its own security than Ukraine’s problems.

Poland’s repositioning of military might eastward is a long-term plan, defense ministry spokesman Jacek Sonta said. “We are talking about a multiyear, gradual plan of strengthening these forces, not a quick relocation,” Mr. Sonta said. “It is difficult to give specific time frame and numbers.”

Sanctions-Bear-LittleWestern nations imposed harsh sanctions after Russia’s March annexation of the Crimea, causing Russia to double down on its aggressive strategy in the Baltic, raising concerns from western powers that the tension could affect trade between Russia and Europe:

“An attack on Putin is an attack on Russia. Without Putin, there is no Russia,” one Kremlin official told us.

The remark caused a flurry when it was subsequently leaked to the Russian media, with its implication that Mr Putin is now president for life, and the current regime could extend for decades.

“We do not want to close the door to anyone. It’s your leaders saying ‘we will punish Russia’ who is the problem. But they won’t succeed in isolating us,” he said, leaving the question unanswered.

Western powers have no choice but to push Putin on the issue of Ukrainian self-determination, but one has to wonder what we’ll be pushing Putin toward.

A1ENDA Headmaster takes pupils and staff assembly in modern school hallBritain’s official education inspector has informed an independent Christian school that it is out of step with “British values” prescribed by the government and must invite someone from another faith, such as a Muslim imam, to lead assemblies or it risks being closed.

The threat comes amid a series of new school inspections imposed by the government in response to a “Trojan horse” scandal in which several public schools in Birmingham, England, were taken over by Muslim managers who imposed Islamic education standards.

The U.K.’s Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, known as Ofsted, then established new rules requiring the active promotion of “British values” such as tolerance.

The Christian Institute, which is planning a legal challenge to the regulations, said the school was told by Ofsted “to invite a leader from another religion, such as an imam, to lead assemblies.”comment 01

Simon Calvert, deputy director of the Christian Institute, said evidence is already emerging “of how the new regulations are requiring Ofsted inspection teams to behave in ways which do not respect the religious ethos of faith schools.”

“The new requirements are infringing the rights of children, parents, teachers, and schools to hold and practice their religious beliefs,” he said.

Opposition also has come from the National Association of Jewish Orthodox Schools, which said it was “appalled” by the demands.

According to a report by John Bingham, religious affairs editor for the London Telegraph, inspectors claimed the school, which was identified only as a “successful Christian school,” was failing to promote “tolerance.”comment 02

cause of deathBingham said inspectors warned the head that the school would be downgraded from “good” to “adequate” for failing to “actively promote” harmony between different faiths because it had failed to bring in representatives from other religions.

The report said there would be further inspections that could ultimately lead to it being closed.”

A spokeswoman for the government agency told the newspaper: “Under Ofsted’s revised guidance for the inspection of schools, inspectors now pay greater attention to ensuring that schools provide a broad and balanced education for their pupils, so that young people are well prepared for the next stage in their education, or for employment and for life in modern Britain.”

Included in the evaluation are the spiritual, moral, social and cultural perspectives of students.

The agency spokeswoman said: “This includes, among other factors, pupils’ acceptance and engagement of different faiths and beliefs, and their understanding and appreciation of the range of different cultures within school and further afield.”

WND previously reported the rules were being blamed for requiring teachers to “challenge” the religious beliefs of parents “in the name of equality.”

The institute said a report from Peter Clarke, the former chief of counter-terrorism for the Metropolitan Police, said school children in the “Trojan Horse” schools werecp 11 encouraged to express vocal support for anti-Christian remarks and Christmas was banned.

The report found a “coordinated, deliberate and sustained action, carried out by a number of associated individuals, to introduce an intolerant and aggressive Islamic ethos into a few schools in Birmingham.”America are you paying attention

But the institute said the reaction was an overreach, and the rules call for teachers to “actively promote” the rights defined in the Equality Act 2010, including sexual orientation and transsexual rights.

The schools also “will be required to challenge parents” on their values if they contradict what the government has determined is “equality,” a legal analysis concluded.

Chemical weapons produced at the Al Muthanna facility in Iraq

WASHINGTON – The areas of Iraq that ISIS has conquered could give the jihadist army access to some 2,500 rockets containing the deadly nerve gas Sarin.

The nerve agent housed at the Muthanna State Establishment is left over from the time the United States invaded and then bombed the facility during the first Gulf War in 1990.

Last June, Iraqi officials had informed the United Nations that ISIS had access to the facility and its abandoned weapons, which the Iraqi government had not destroyed. The Iraqi officials said that through remote CCTV, they observed ISIS jihadists looting the partially destroyed equipment and abandoned ordnance before the signal was knocked out, Britain’s Daily Mail reported.

In June, following a Wall Street Journal report of the ISIS takeover of the Muthanna facility, the State Department acknowledged ISIS had captured the stockpile of old chemical weapons produced while Saddam Hussein, deposed in 2003, was president of Iraq.comment 01

Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby maintained the U.S. military would not have left chemical material after the American 2011 pullout of Iraq if it posed a security threat.

“The only people who would likely be harmed by these chemical materials would be the people who tried to use or move them,” Kirby said.comment 02

Apart from the Muthanna facility, however, ISIS has had access to a secret Sarin poison gas production facility in northeast Iraq as a result of its alliance with a top military commander who previously was an aide to Saddam.

Deadly alliance

Sarin is a man-made toxin developed in Germany and can, according to the Centers for Disease Control, produce loss of consciousness, convulsions, paralysis and death in people who are exposed.

The newer Sarin gas facility in northeast Iraq, which the State Department hasn’t acknowledged, came as a result of an alliance between ISIS and Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, who was a top military commander and vice president to Hussein.

Douri remains wanted by U.S. authorities.

According to sources, he heads the Naqshbani Army, a coalition of Sunni groups in Mosul, the Kurdish city overrun by ISIS in June.

While there have been reported skirmishes between Douri’s Naqshbani Army and ISIS fighters, the jihadist group has the access and capability to produce the Sarin gas.

According to informed sources, the current Sarin facility is under the direction of former Iraqi Military Industries Brig. Gen. Adnan al-Dulaimi.

Dulaimi was a major player in Saddam’s chemical weapons production projects. He has been working in the Sunni-controlled region of northwestern Iraq, where the outlawed Baath party is located and produces the Sarin.

The Iraqi production of poisonous sarin nerve gas was confirmed to WND in September 2013 in a classified document from the U.S. intelligence community’s National Ground Intelligence Center or NGIC.

The document was classified Secret/Noforn – “Not for foreign distribution.”

It revealed “AQI” had produced a “bench-scale” form of Sarin in Iraq and had transferred it to Turkey.

AQI, or Al-Qaida in Iraq, was the precursor to the al-Qaida splinter group that came to be known as the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham, or ISIS, later shortened by its founder, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, to the Islamic State with the creation of a caliphate last June.

‘Effort continues to advance’

A U.S. military source told WND there were a number of interrogations as well as some clan reports as part of what the NGIC document said were “50 general indicators to monitor progress and characterize the state of the ANF/AQI-associated sarin chemical warfare agent developing effort.”

In May 2013, some of the sarin transferred to Turkey for al-Nusra’s use was intercepted, and fighters in Turkey were arrested.

According to published reports, the sarin coming from Iraq but transported to Turkey allegedly was used in an attack on the Syrian city of Aleppo in March 2013 by Saudi Arabian-backed al-Nusra in its effort to overthrow the government of the Shiite-Alawite Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad.

The document further revealed sarin production had been under way for more than a year.

“Future reporting of indicators not previously observed would suggest that the effort continues to advance despite the arrests,” the NGIC document said.

In acknowledging to the Wall Street Journal that ISIS had taken over the Al-Muthanna chemical weapons last June, the State Department quickly attempted to minimize the seizure by insisting ISIS wouldn’t be able to make use of the materials because they was too old, contaminated and difficult to move.

“We do not believe the complex contains CW (chemical weapons) materials of military value and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to safely move the materials,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told the WSJ.

“The majority of the Al-Muthanna complex was bombed during Desert Storm, completely incapacitating Iraq’s chemical weapon production capabilities,” according to a 2004 Central Intelligence Agency report. “However, large stockpiles of chemical weapons and bulk agent survived.”

Most of these munitions were later destroyed under supervision of the United Nations. Some of the partially destroyed materials were sealed in two bunkers at Al-Muthanna.

Kurdish Female Soldier Rehana Gains Internet Fame For Allegedly Killing More Than 100 ISIS Jihadis
A Kurdish woman known as Rehana has become a hero across the internet for killing more than 100 Islamic State terrorists. Rehana became famous after a photo of her giving a peace sign began to circulate on Twitter. Rehana is working to keep the Syrian border town Kobani out of the hands of ISIS terrorists. Rumors are circulating that after the photo surfaced Rehana was killed in battle; however, those rumors have yet to be substantiated by a veritable news source.

Rehana became famous in Kurdish Twitter circles after a photo of her giving a peace sign began to circulate on the social network.

According to the International Business Times, Rehana is a YPJ (Kurdish female Peshmerga) soldier under the command of famed female soldier Mayssa Abdo, who herself has become famous for running the operation to keep the Syrian border town of Kobani out of the hands of the Islamic State. Shortly after this photo of Rehana began to circulate, rumors followed that she had been killed in battle, none of which have been confirmed independently by news sources.

Rehana is one of many Female Kurdish soldiers who have become the front lines in the battle against the Islamic State. Islamic State jihadists believe that their martyrdom will not result in the promised gifts of the afterlife should they die at the hands of a woman, making the YPJ particularly indispensable against this enemy. YPJ units fight in both Syria and Iraq, and regularly post to social media to report on their successes in battle.

islamic state

It is estimated that up to 10,000 women fight in the Peshmerga forces, though estimates vary. In an interview with BBC, Col. Nahida Ahmed described their daily training as intensive and noted that many had battle experience even before organizing against the Islamic State in recent months.

The fight to keep Kobani, a border town that would allow for almost complete border access between Syria and Turkey, out of the hands of the Islamic State, has been arduous and bloody. Witnesses that have escaped the town recall streets lined with severed heads and Islamic State terrorists gouging the eyes out of Kurdish civilians. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan repeatedly claimed that airstrikes by the United States and allies would not be enough to save the city, though without offering any help to those on the ground (instead bombing targets essential to the Kurds).

Despite Erdogan’s claims, however, it appears that the coalition strikes have made a difference, due in large part to the organization of the Kurdish soldiers on the ground. According to Reuters, the Islamic State has had to retreat from a number of Kobani streets to avoid the airstrikes, allowing greater mobility for Kurdish forces.

WND – http://www.wnd.com – Source: ISIS opens consulate in NATO member’s capital

WASHINGTON – Amid increasing doubts about Turkey’s loyalty to its NATO allies, the jihadist group ISIS has opened a consulate in the Turkish capital, according to a Middle East expert who monitors jihadist activity in the region.consulate

The consulate in Ankara, apparently open with the tacit permission of the Turkish government, is issuing visas for those who want to join ISIS in its fight against the Syrian and Iraqi governments, the source said.con 2

The ISIS army, declaring the creation of the first Islamic caliphate since the end of the Ottoman Turkish Empire a century ago, has brutally seized large portions of Syria and Iraq.

Turkey has resisted joining the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS, refusing even to allow the U.S. to use its bases to launch attacks on ISIS targets in Syria or Iraq. This week, Turkish warplanes and artillery bombed the camps of Kurdish rebels in the southeast of the country, near its borders with Iraq and Syria. U.S.-led coalition bombing has defended Kurds in Syria and Iraq from ISIS attacks. Turkey’s attack was on fighters of the outlawed Kurdish Workers’ Party, or PKK, which historically has sought a portion of Turkey to form the independent country of Kurdistan, along with parts of Syria, Iraq and Iran.

The ISIS consulate is in the Cankaya district of Ankara, operating freely, the Middle East source said, giving the ISIS caliphate the political recognition normally afforded a country.

“Maybe what ISIS is doing serves one way or another in a new caliphate state ruled by the ‘Ottomans,” the WND source said.

While President Obama caters to Turkey’s Erdogan to join the coalition and continues to provide technology to Turkey as a NATO member, sources say the U.S. Congress should act and examine Turkey’s ties to ISIS and its affiliation with jihadi terrorists and those who fund them.

Al-Qaida link

Middle East sources also tell WND that Bilal Erdogan, son of Turkey’s newly elected Islamic president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is working with Yassin al-Qadi, a Saudi businessman, who last year was linked to al-Qaida. He is on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Global Terrorist list.

Qadi separately has denied any linkage to al-Qaida.

Because of the designation, Qadi was supposed to be banned by Turkey from entering the country. But last December there were reports he had entered the country multiple times without the need of a passport or visa and was escorted by Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s protective detail, when Erdogan was the prime minister.

The same sources add that Qadi now is in the ISIS leadership.

They say Bilal, with his father’s support, is pushing Turkish business prospects in ISIS-occupied territories of Syria and Iraq, subjecting all who haven’t been killed to strict Islamic law, or Shariah.

Requests to the Turkish Embassy in Washington and the State Department for comment regarding the allegation ISIS has opened a consulate in Ankara and Balil Erdogan’s relationship with Qadi went unanswered.

As WND recently reported, ISIS cash flow relies on Turkey, despite international requests from 30 nations in Paris to cut off such funding by “whatever means necessary” to defeat the jihadist group.

Through Turkey, ISIS makes almost $30 million a month selling black-market Iraqi oil at less than half the global market rate. The primary recipient of the cut-rate oil is Turkey.

WND recently reported Turkish companies also are heeding a call by ISIS to invest in areas it has taken over in Iraq

Turkey’s minister of economy, Nihat Zeybekci, expressed interest in encouraging Turkish businesses to invest in ISIS-occupied portions of Iraq.

“Our exports to Iraq are now down to 35 percent, but Iraq cannot easily substitute other sources,” Neybekci said.

“We think there will be a boom in demand soon,” he said. “We also know that [ISIS] is contacting individual Turkish businessmen and telling them, ‘Come back, we won’t interfere.’ That is not easy, of course. But when the future Iraq is rebuilt, it will be Turkey doing it.”

Imperial Islamic President ObamaDifferent objectives

The revelations came as President Obama met with representatives of the Arab and Western countries who belong to the U.S.-led anti-ISIS coalition at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, D.C.

Turkish Lt. Gen. Erdal Ozturk was one of the 20 foreign defense ministers present. However, Turkey, a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, has not formally signed the protocol to join the coalition.

As WND reported, the goal of defeating ISIS could be undermined because the members of the loosely formed U.S.-led coalition are fighting for different objectives.con 3

The Arab countries that have joined the U.S. in bombing selected ISIS targets in Syria have far different motives than the Europeans who have committed their airpower to bomb ISIS targets only in Iraq.

The Sunni Arab countries of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Jordan are committing air power to bomb selected ISIS sites in Syria but ultimately want to weaken the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and replace him with a Sunni regime.

The Western countries – including the U.K., Denmark, Belgium and Australia – have joined with the U.S. out of concern that the more than 4,000 foreign soldiers fighting on behalf of ISIS could return to their countries to wage jihad.

Assad is a Shia-Alawite closely tied with Shia Iran, which is in a proxy war with the Sunni Arab countries for influence in the Middle East region.

Similarly, Turkey’s primary responsibility is the defeat of Assad, not of ISIS. Washington is concerned about Turkey’s lack of participation, as WND recently reported.

Turkey, meanwhile, is concerned that the coalition against ISIS not only will grant new legitimacy to Assad but will empower the PKK as part of the coalition.

Turkey bombed PKK sites inside the country Monday, using U.S.-supplied F-4s and F-16s, after the group attacked a military outpost near the Iraqi border.

The strikes against the PKK break a cease-fire made in March 2013 between the outlawed group and the Erdogan government, both of which have been involved in a war for 30 years over Kurdish demands to create a Kurdish state.

Aid to Muslim Brotherhood

WND’s sources say Bilal Erdogan not only has ties with ISIS but also is on the board of Turkey’s Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief, or IHH, an Islamic charity.

IHH has a history of helping extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates worldwide. The senior Erdogan recently allowed members of the Brotherhood from Egypt to come to Turkey after having been kicked out of Egypt, where the Muslim Brotherhood president, Mohamed Morsi, was forcibly removed by the Egyptian military.Muslims in the White House Administration

According to sources, IHH is financed by Qadi. It is an affiliate of the Saudi-based “Union of Good,” which is chaired by Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian scholar who also is chairman of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

Qaradawi is known for his inflammatory remarks toward Israel and is a major advocate of suicide attacks, especially in the Israeli-occupied areas of Palestine. Like the Erdogans, Qaradawi opposes Assad.

The State Department also has listed the Union of Good as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Turkey’s parliament, however, is concerned about the Erdogan government’s ties to ISIS. In a letter to Erdogan, members of parliament alleged that the government was supporting the jihadis, helping to facilitate their travel at border crossings into Syria from Turkey and providing truckloads of weapons while offering health care at Turkish state hospitals for wounded ISIS fighters.

In the letter, the parliament asked for an official explanation of the Erdogan government’s ties to ISIS and its knowledge of IHH activities.

The government never responded.

North Korea leader reappears in public

“North Korea leader reappears in public”

coupKim Jong-un, North Korea’s leader, has visited a housing development using a cane for support, according to state media reports.

Tuesday’s development ended a lengthy absence from public view that had prompted speculation over his health and grip on power in the secretive country.

Several images on the front page of Tuesday’s Rodong Sinmun, the newspaper of the ruling party, showed Kim smiling and gesturing, surrounded by aides and wearing his signature dark buttoned suit and appearing to be supporting himself with a black cane.

Kim, 31, had not appeared in public since attending a concert with his wife on September 3, missing an important political anniversary on Friday as well as a recent session of the country’s parliament.

Al Jazeera’s Teresa Bo, reporting from Pyongyang said, “The video had no date in it, so it’s not clear exactly when this happened but it appeared on state television on early Tuesday morning.”

A story in the official KCNA news agency on two public appearances by Kim was dated Tuesday, but did not specify on which day he made the visits. It also did not mention Kim’s lengthy absence from public view.verify

Reports could not be independently verified by Al Jazeera.

The KCNA story, which was typical of the state media’s chronicling of Kim’s activities, said he “gave field guidance” to the new Wisong Scientists Residential District and visited the newly built Natural Energy Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.North-Korea-Missile

Health claims denied;

eating and drinkingNorth Korean officials had denied that Kim’s public absence since early September was health-related.

Officials in both the US and South Korea had said recently that there were no indications Kim was in political trouble.

A source with access to the North’s leadership told the Reuters news agency on Thursday that Kim was in firm control of the country, but had hurt his leg taking part in a military drill.

Kim, who has visibly gained weight since coming to power after his father died of a heart attack in 2011, had been seen walking with a limp since an event with officials in July.

His prolonged absence from public view was not the first.

In June 2012, six months after coming to power, state media failed to report on or photograph him for 23 days.

He reappeared the next month, visiting a dolphinarium.

Turkey wants ISIS to conquer Syria

Imperial Islamic President ObamaThe strikes highlight rising tensions in Turkey over Ankara’s perceived unwillingness to aid besieged Kurdish fighters in the Syrian town of Kobani.

The Turkish General Staff dispatched F-16 and F-4 jets to the southeastern village of Daglica in Hakkari province on Monday, the Turkish daily Hurriyet reports.

The daily says the airstrikes caused “heavy damage” to the PKK.

The PKK’s military wing, however, said in a statement on its website that its forces had not suffered casualties during the strikes, Reuters reports.

Turkey says the bombings came in response to three days of attacks on the Daglıca military guard post with rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns. PKK insurgents for their part blamed the Turkish military of violating the ceasefire.

Monday’s strikes were the first to be conducted since the Kurdish rebel group declared a ceasefire with Turkey in March 2013.

The incident underlines simmering anger among Kurds in southeastern Turkey over Ankara’s failure to intervene against so-called Islamic State (IS) militants, who launched a massive offensive on the predominately Kurdish town of Kobani – not far from Syria’s border with Turkey – on September 16.

At least 35 people were killed throughout Turkey’s Kurdish majority south-eastern provinces last week after protests against Ankara’s inaction descended into violent street clashes.

Abdullah Ocalan, the jailed leader of PKK, has threatened to call off peace talks to end nearly three decades of insurgency if Ankara does not act by Wednesday.

Meanwhile, a “symbolic” amount of military supplies sent from Iraqi Kurdistan to Syrian Kurds is stuck in Syria’s northeast after Turkey refused to open an aid corridor, German daily Deutsche Welle cites Syrian Kurdish official Alan Othman as saying on Tuesday.

“It is a symbolic shipment that has remained in the Jazeera canton,” Othman said, using the Kurdish name for northeastern Syria.

On Monday, Turkish officials denied a previous announcement by the Obama administration that Ankara had authorized US fighter jets to use the Incirlik Airbase as a launching point to conduct bombing campaigns against IS (Islamic State) militants.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that any military operations conducted from its territory should be done with an aim of removing Syrian president Bashar Assad from power.

Earlier this month, Erdogan said that IS and the PKK are equally worthy of contempt in the eyes of Turkey.

“It is wrong to consider them [IS and PKK] in different ways,” Erdogan said. “We need to handle them all together on a common ground.”

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un misses key celebration, but sources say coup rumors are false

Obamacare

north korea

North-Korea-MottoThe mysterious disappearance of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un from public view for the last 35 days fueled wide speculation that he was ill or the victim of a possible coup, but a senior U.S. intelligence official calls the rumors false, and a Reuters source insists he’s “in total control.”

After weeks of unexplained absences, chatter on Kim’s whereabouts reached a fever pitch after he was conspicuously not on a list of dignitaries at an anniversary celebration of the founding of the ruling Workers’ Party Friday.

An official state media dispatch listed senior government, military and party officials who paid their respects at the event marking the party’s 69th anniversary, but not Kim. It said a flower basket with Kim’s name on it was placed before statues of his father and grandfather, both of whom also ruled North Korea.

In the past two years, Kim marked the anniversary with a visit to the Pyongyang mausoleum where his father and grandfather’s bodies are interred.

Kim also missed a meeting of the country’s parliament late last month, leaving many to wonder whether the leader was ill or no longer in power.

State media earlier said that the might of the party “is growing stronger under the seasoned guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un.”

Kim, 31, who was last seen in public attending a concert on Sept. 3rd, had been seen earlier walking with a limp.

But Reuters reported Friday that Kim was still in firm control of his government, according to a source with access to the secretive North’s leadership. That source suggested Kim has been sidelined with a leg injury after taking part in a military drill.

“He ordered all the generals to take part in drills and he took part too. They were crawling and running and rolling around, and he pulled a tendon,” the source told Reuters on condition of anonymity.

“He injured his ankle and knee around late August or early September while drilling because he is overweight. He limped around in the beginning but the injury worsened,” the anonymous source added.

Sea of FireKim came into power after his father died of a heart attack in 2011, and has rapidly gained weight since then.

“Kim Jong Un is in total control,” the source told Reuters, and needs about 100 days to recuperate. The source’s information has not been independently verified.

National Security Council spokesman Patrick Ventrell told reporters Friday that the U.S monitors events in North Korea very closely.

“We have seen those same reports about Kim Jong Un’s health. I don’t have anything for you on that. Given that the DPRK regime is the most opaque on earth, it’s not surprising that there is very little reliable and publicly available information about this. Regarding rumors of a coup, as we have said previously, those appear to be false,” Ventrell said.

During a surprise visit to South Korea last week to attend the closing ceremonies of the Asian Games in Incheon, three senior North Korean leaders assured their South Korean counterparts that Kim was healthy, but that has done little to calm the rumors abroad that he was unwell.

U.S. and South Korean officials told The New York Times that there is no immediate evidence that there has been a coup.

“The last time was when everyone was predicting that Kim Jong-un would be pushed aside by his more experienced uncle, and look what happened to him,” a senior official told the paper.

After surviving several earlier purges, Kim’s uncle, Jang Song Thaek, was publicly shamed and then executed on treason charges in December 2013.

Geoffery Cain wrote in The Global Post that some analysts believe the leader’s younger sister, Kim Yo Jong has been running the country in his absence.

“She is one of the only people in that we know has unfettered direct access to KJU. At the present time I would not be surprised if she is sole gatekeeper,” Michael Madden, who runs the North Korea Leadership Watch blog, told Cain.

The article points out that little is known about the sister, believed to be born in the late 80s, but in March she appeared on state television as a senior official.

Kim is usually a near-constant one-man show in state media, but he has kept a low profile before. In 2012, he wasn’t seen publicly for about three weeks, South Korean officials say.

“Such vanishing acts would be most unusual in democracies, but in totalitarian North Korea, Kim is the state. He is free to come and go as he pleases,” Lee Sung-yoon, a North Korea expert at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, told The Times.

On Friday, South Korea’s Unification Ministry said it believes Kim remains in charge, referring to a message conveyed by him via a delegation visiting last weekend, and Pyongyang’s continued public position that Kim leads the country.

“So it appears it is being normally ruled by Kim Jong Un,” ministry spokesman Lim Byeong-cheol said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

While you were watching ISIS, Iran took Yemen

The Houthis, Iranian backed rebels have taken control of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa. [Photo: WochitGeneralNews / YouTube ]

Imperial Islamic President ObamaThe Washington Post reports:

The capital of Yemen, the Arab world’s poorest and perhaps most chronically unstable nation, has new masters. Shiite rebels man checkpoints and roam the streets in pickups mounted with antiaircraft guns.

The fighters control almost all state buildings, from the airport and the central bank to the Defense Ministry.

Only a few police officers and soldiers are left on the streets. Rebel fighters have plastered the city with fliers proclaiming their slogan — “Death to America, death to Israel, a curse on the Jews and victory to Islam” — a variation of a popular Iranian slogan often chanted by Shiite militants in Iraq and supporters of Lebanon’s Hezbollah.

The comparison to Hezbollah is apt as Reuters is reporting that the Houthi are blocking the appointment of Yemen’s president.

Abdel-Malek al-Ejri said Hadi had suggested five names at a meeting of his advisors, who represent various political parties in Yemen. When the aides failed to agree on a candidate Hadi suggested his presidential office director, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, as a compromise.

“But we did not agree, and the matter is still under consultation,” Ejri told Reuters.

Similarly, Hezbollah has kept Lebanon’s politics unsettled preventing the appointment of a President.

So what’s Iran’s interest in Yemen? It was spelled out by Michael Segall of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs two and a half years ago. A couple of Segall’s observations are sobering:

Iran regards Yemen in general, and its Shia northern part in particular, as a springboard for subversion and for creating a tangible threat to Saudi Arabia, its main religious-political rival in the region. Iran also seeks to establish a physical Iranian presence, ground and naval, in the countries and ports of the Red Sea littoral, which control the shipping (and weapon-supply) lanes leading from the Persian Gulf to the heart of the Middle East and to Europe.

Islamic Iran aspires to superpower status. It is actively involved in the region’s primary crisis centers. These include the “Arab Spring’s” main fronts with the West and the moderate Arab states: Syria, where Iran backs Bashar Assad through thick and thin; Bahrain, where Iran calls for the overthrow of the Royal House and supports the Shia demonstrators; and Yemen, where Iran is active in attempts to create a new order that is not based on support for the West.

While the West is obsessed with ISIS, Iran has continued its quest for dominance in the Middle East. In Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and now Yemen Iran is emerging as a major player.

In defending the nuclear deal with Iran President Obama said last year, “But if we can negotiate on the nuclear program in the same way that Ronald Reagan was able to negotiate with the Soviet Union even as we were still contesting them around the world, that removes one more threat — and a critical, existential threat — takes it out of their arsenal. And it allows us then to ultimately I think win them — defeat some of their agenda throughout the region without worrying that somehow it’s going to escalate or trigger a nuclear arms race in the most volatile part of the world.”

The problem is that even if the deal the P5+1 is negotiating with Iran is as effective as the president claimed it would be (and it appears to be a total capitulation), Iran continues to promote its agenda throughout the Middle East at little or no cost.

Has North Korea’s Kim Jong Un been deposed?

PYONGYANG, North Korea, Oct. 6 (UPI) — Rumors that North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has been deposed have heightened in intensity following a surprise trip by the country’s No. 2 leader to visit South Korea.

Kim has not been seen publicly since September 4, and is reportedly suffering from gout, the “kings’ malady” form of arthritis brought on by rich diet and sedentary lifestyle. He also reportedly underwent surgery for two broken ankles.

But according to some experts, his absence from the September meeting of the nation’s rubber-stamp congress, the Supreme People’s Assembly, is only the latest indication that something has gone seriously awry for the dictator.

The trip to South Korea, led by recently elevated Hwang Pyong So, was an unusual step forward for proponents of reconciliation.

The trip comes just days after Jang Jin Sung, a former counterintelligence official and high-ranking member of Kim Jong Il’s regime, told fellow exiles in Netherlands that he believed recent events only added evidence that Kim was no longer in charge.

Jang believes a powerful group of officials consolidated by Kim Jong Il have stopped taking orders from his son, essentially wresting control of the country. He says the Organization and Guidance Department actually took power last year, as evidenced by the execution of their rival, the formerly politically untouchable uncle of Kim Jong Un, Jang Song Thaek.

“When Jang Song Thaek was executed that was, basically, that totally broke everything,” Jang told Vice News. “You just can’t touch a Kim family member publicly… It’s the OGD’s claim to legitimacy. It’s them saying no one is more legitimate than them. By Jang dying, Kim Jong Un is now surrounded by the OGD.”

Jang said the OGD’s power has grown such that Kim has been reduced to a puppet, and that his absence has been orchestrated for their purposes.

Adding fuel to the fire were reports from inside North Korea that Pyongyang has instituted a new travel ban to enter the capital city.

“This sort of action suggests there has either been an attempted coup or that the authorities there have uncovered some sort of plot against the leadership,” Toshimitsu Shigemura, a professor at Tokyo’s Waseda University and an authority on North Korean affairs, told The Telegraph. “If it is a military-backed coup, then the situation in Pyongyang will be very dangerous and I have heard reports that Kim has been moved out of the capital.”

Last week, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the U.S. was aware of the reports.

“I can just say that I have no confirmation of the reports,” she said. “We’ve seen them, but we don’t have any confirmation.”

Regardless of the state of Kim’s political well-being, recent images, and family health history, certainly indicate his actual health problems are real.

Television footage released by the state media show Kim walking with a pronounced limp, and he has grown increasingly overweight, both symptoms of gout. According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, both his father and grandfather, Kim Il Sung, suffered from the disease.

Other Korea watchers say the unusual report of Kim’s “discomfort” actually indicates that the young leader remains fully in power.

“These are signals but signals only for people in the know,” Andrei Lankov, a North Korea expert at Seoul’s Kookmin University, told Time. “I am quite sure the official media reports about his ill health would have been signed off on by the great man himself.”

“If there had been regicide or revolt in Pyongyang, it’s unlikely the wheels of North Korean diplomacy would spin like business as usual,” adds John Delury, a professor at Yonsei University in Seoul.

“These episodes reveal as much about us as them — our own assumptions, even obsessions, when it comes to North Korea,” Delury said. “We assume North Korea must be on the brink of collapse, so when the young leader suspends his relentless ‘onsite guidance visits’ for a few weeks, we assume he’s been overthrown.”

Kim has repeatedly disappeared for extended periods before, including 10 days in July and 18 days in January 2013. And twice, in March and June 2012, Kim avoided public view for three weeks at a time.

And while the delegation to South Korea reportedly told their counterparts that “there is nothing wrong with the health of Secretary Kim,” others say his sister has taken over in his absence.

North Korea Intellectuals Solidarity said last week that Kim Yo Jong convened a meeting of Workers’ Party officials in early September, securing her position as regent while her brother was hospitalized.

“All party officials have been commanded to continue faithfully carrying out Kim Jong-Un’s orders and the military has been put on high alert,” NKIS said.

Is Kim Jong Un’s powerful little sister running North Korea now?

With the dictator’s disappearance and other odd developments, an unconfirmed report puts Kim Yo Jong in charge.

A trio of top-level North Korean officials, including the man seen as leader Kim Jong-Un’s number two, flew to South Korea for an extremely rare visit that will raise hopes of a breakthrough in cross-border ties. Please support our site by enabling javascript to view ads.SEOUL, South Korea — It’s been an unusually quiet quarter for North Korea, which has avoided the occasional exchange of bellicose bluster with the US and South Korea, and has not tested a much-prophesized fourth nuclear bomb.

But for the past month, a curious string of events has stirred up questions over whether changes are underway in this garrison kingdom. Its 31-year-old generalissimo, Kim Jong Un, has not made any public appearances since he attended at a state concert with his wife on September 3. Since an official ceremony in July, Kim has been walking with a limp.

Kim’s furlough is unusually long by regime standards. In June 2012, the dictator went missing for 24 days. In two other instances, he vanished for more than two weeks, only to reappear without explanation.

News reports speculate that the Supreme Leader is undergoing medical treatment for gout or cheese allergies, but in a nation as opaque as North Korea, it’s incredibly difficult to pinpoint whether this is true. The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) confirmed that Kim Jong Un has been suffering from “discomfort,” which many onlookers interpreted to mean a physical ailment.

But even that is far from clear.

On Sunday, elite North Korean official Kim Yang Gon, who suddenly arrived in Incheon, South Korea for the regional Asian Games on Saturday, claimed that there was “no problem” with the Supreme Leader’s health, according to his South Korean counterpart who attended talks.

The timing of this visit has also raised questions.

On Friday, North Korea gave a 24-hour notice to Seoul that it would send three senior officials to attend the closing ceremony of the Asian Games, including the second most powerful man in North Korea, Vice Marshal Hwang Pyong-so. Over the weekend, the two frosty neighbors rushed to high-level conciliatory talks.

So it’s been a month of oddities alongside an enormous North Korean charm offensive.

The peculiarities have led analysts to look at the appearance of another player in the North Korea elite: Kim Jong Un’s little sister, Kim Yo Jong.

She may be managing the country in her brother’s absence, claims the North Korean Intellectuals’ Solidarity, a Seoul-based advocacy organization started by former North Korean professors. The group hasn’t revealed its source, and the claim has not been confirmed. But it follows Kim Yo Jong’s apparent emergence within regime circles, probably as a key ally of her brother.

“She is one of the only people in [North Korea] that we know has unfettered direct access to KJU. At the present time I would not be surprised if she is sole gatekeeper,” said Michael Madden, who runs the North Korea Leadership Watch blog, which tracks the country’s elites.

Little is known about this mysterious sibling, who has maintained a low profile for much of her life.

She attended boarding school in Switzerland with her brother Kim Jong Un, according to Madden. That’s where the leader-in-waiting cultivated his love for Nike shoes and the Chicago Bulls that later led to Dennis Rodman’s visits.

Born in 1987 or 1988, she is the youngest of seven known brothers and sisters, all of whom are the children of deceased former dictator Kim Jong Il and one of his four former partners.

From early appearances, she was hardly significant in the Pyongyang pantheon. For years, state mouthpieces did not list Kim Yo Jong as an official cadre, nor did she show up in its (mind-numbing) documentaries on Kim Jong Un’s obligatory field visits — a way of gauging one’s standing within the leader’s trusted circle.

But last March this relative made her first official appearance on state television as a senior official, shown casting her vote in North Korea’s elections for its rubber-stamp parliament. Such an appearance suggests she’s building a more prominent profile within the Supreme Leader’s young cabal, coming just after an older pair of confidantes, once allied with their father, exited.

In late 2013, Kim Jong Un’s uncle and king-maker — then the second most powerful man in the nation, Jang Song-taek — was executed on charges of treason and corruption in one of the regime’s most dramatic shake-ups.

Another aging player apparently removed from the clique was his wife, Kim Kyong-hui, who stopped making public appearances in September 2013. Rumored to be dead after a life of alcohol abuse (a recurring tale that she has repeatedly survived in the past), purged, or gone hiding in Poland, nobody really knows what happened. Usually, the regime would announce excommunications this riveting through state media, both as a warning and a form of humiliation.

Kim Yo Jong, meanwhile, may have held a role as an administrative and logistical planner for Kim Jong Un, probably giving her considerable influence. “We know for sure that she used to do pre-trip security checks for her father,” said Christopher Green, international affairs manager for DailyNK. “Her status is unlikely to have diminished in the Kim Jong Un era.”

Such a heavyweight position could signify that she sits at the top of the regime’s Escort Command, the elite force charged with protecting the Supreme Leader, and is probably linked with the ruling party’s powerful and secretive Organization and Guidance Department, one of its most influential bodies.

Not all Kim siblings are that lucky.

After trying to visit Tokyo’s Disneyland in 2001, eldest step-brother and former heir apparent Kim Jong Nam was deported from Japan on a forged Dominican passport. He fell out of favor for embarrassing his father and now lives in Macau.

Middle brother Kim Jong Chul was similarly passed over because his father saw him as too sensitive and easygoing, according to a book by the leader’s former sushi chef. He was last spotted in 2011 at an Eric Clapton concert in Singapore.

Nobody would be surprised that Kim dynasty politics can be vicious and unforgiving, and it remains a mystery as to why the Supreme Leader apparently sees a trustworthy ally in his little sister. But early signs of her rise suggest that she’ll climb the ladder in the coming years, emerging as a potent scion as a handful of older leaders fade.

Kim Jong-Un’s 27-Year-Old Sister in Charge of North Korea

Koream Journal, News Report, Posted: Oct 06, 2014

http://newamericamedia.org/2014/10/kin-jong-uns-27-year-old-sister-in-charge-of-north-korea.php

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s younger sister Kim Yo-jong is reportedly in control of the hermit country in place of her brother whose illness has prevented him from making public appearances for almost a month, according to North Korea Intellectuals Solidarity (NKIS), a South Korea-based think tank.

Kim Yo-jong, the youngest daughter of late leader Kim Jong-il, was unveiled as a “senior official” in March as she was seen alongside her brother at the Supreme People’s Assembly. She had reportedly taken over the role of her aunt Kim Kyong-hui, the wife of Jang Song-thaek, a former senior government official who was executed in December for allegedly committing “anti-party acts.”

Although Hwang Byong-so, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army, was believed to have assumed the status as North Korea’s No. 2 man behind Kim Jong-un, NKIS reported that it is Kim Yo-jong who is the communist regime’s second-in-command while Hwang is a mere “shadow.”

On Sept. 6, Kim Yo-jung led a meeting for the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, during which the North Korean regime has reportedly decided on four main topics. Those topics include:

1. Give special and extended medical treatment to Kim Jong-un until his health is fully restored.

2. All high level officials and party members must continue to follow Kim Jong-un’s previous orders.

3. The army should be on wartime-like alert while Kim Jong-un is out of commission.

4. Important government and other administrative matters must be reported to Kim Yo-jong.

Kim Jong-un last made his public appearance in early September when he was limping with visible discomfort in his right leg. North Korea’s state-run media reported that he is undergoing medical treatment from both domestic and foreign medical teams, but his prolonged absence is fueling rumors over his health issues.

While South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported that Kim Jong-un is suffering from gout, U.K.’s Daily Mirror bizarrely said that it’s in fact his addiction Swiss cheese that contributed to his deteriorating health. Recently, Free North Korea Radio reported that Kim is recovering from a successful ankle surgery.

‘Master Faith’ or ‘Master Race’?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday warned the United Nations that militant Islam’s desire to take over the world is reminiscent of the Nazis’ goals in WWII.

“Militant Islam’s mission to dominate the world seems mad,” Netanyahu said. “But so too did the global ambitions of another fanatic ideology that swept into power eight decades ago. The Nazis believed in a master race; militant Islamists believe in a master faith. They just disagree who among them will be the master of the master faith — that’s what they truly disagree on. Therefore the question before us is whether militant Islam will have the power to realize its unbridled ambitions.”

Master Faith

Imperial Islamic President ObamaGive the man points for calling a spade a spade.

Give him some sympathy for having to say it in front of the U.N., one of the most anti-Israel groups around.

It’s not an idle comparison between modern Islamists and the Nazis, particularly when you start digging into the history of the Muslim Brotherhood, the umbrella group for most of the terrorists in the Muslim world.

A campaign led by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Muhammed Amin al-Husseini, in the late 1930s against the Jews was sparked by Jewish immigration in the region of Palestine. Al-Husseini, who was an admirer of Hitler, helped establish the Brotherhood as a jihadist organization, growing membership from 800 members to more than 200,000 in a couple of years.

Ties between the Nazis and the Muslim Brotherhood became quite close, with the Brotherhood serving as the Nazis’ right arm in the Mideast. In 1938, Heinrich Himmler sent this telegram message:

To the Grand Mufti: The National Socialist movement of Greater Germany has, since its inception, inscribed upon its flag the fight against the world Jewry. It has therefore followed with particular sympathy the struggle of freedom-loving Arabs, especially in Palestine, against Jewish interlopers. In the recognition of this enemy and of the common struggle against it lies the firm foundation of the natural alliance that exists between the National Socialist Greater Germany and the freedom-loving Muslims of the whole world. In this spirit I am sending you on the anniversary of the infamous Balfour declaration my hearty greetings and wishes for the successful pursuit of your struggle until the final victory. Signed: Reichsfuehrer S.S. Heinrich Himmler

Al-Husseini later wrote in his memoirs that he asked Hitler to give a commission to the Brotherhood “to allow us to solve the Jewish problem in a manner befitting our national and racial aspirations and according to the scientific methods innovated by Germany in the handling of its Jews. The answer I got from the Fuehrer was: ‘The Jews are yours.’”

And so it continues today.

The Allies may have defeated the Nazis in World War II, but in many ways, they failed to defeat Nazism, and it is rising again around the world in various forms, from the Golden Dawn in Greece, to ISIS in Iraq, to a surge in anti-Semitic sentiment in the U.S. and Europe.

During his speech at the U.N., Netanyahu singled out Iran as one of the greatest threats to the rest of the world.

“For 35 years,” Netanyahu said, “Iran has relentlessly pursued the global mission set forth by its founding ruler, Ayatollah Khomeini in these words. ‘We will export our revolution to the entire world until the cry “there is no god but Allah” will echo throughout the world over.’  And ever since, the regime’s brutal enforcers, Iran’s revolutionary guards, have done exactly that. Listen to the current commander, General Muhammed. He clearly stated this goal. He said, ‘Our Imam did not limit the revolution to this country, but to prepare the way for an Islamic world government.’”

As ISIS demonstrates, terrorism is growing more sophisticated about ways of spreading its message. Through social media on the Internet, the same barbarians who behead, crucify and slaughter their enemies both infidel and Muslim, and who kidnap, torture, rape and enslave women are able to draw thousands of recruits from countries that are supposed to be civilized.

We shouldn’t underestimate the appeal of evil. As Pope Francis said just the other day, the devil makes evil look good in order to seduce mankind.

It’s hard to argue against that when you see so many allegedly educated Americans lining up with Islamists against Israel and, ultimately, against themselves.America Needs toWake Up

Imperial Islamic President ObamaThe Islamic State group is allegedly closing in on Baghdad, according to a report from a vicar at Iraq’s only Anglican church that claims the jihadists formerly known as ISIS are roughly one mile away from the Iraqi capital. Airstrikes against ISIS targets were supposed to stop the group from taking Baghdad.

“The Islamic State are now less than 2km (1.2 miles) away from entering Baghdad. They said it could never happen and now it almost has,” Canon Andrew White of the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, a British-based charity that supports Iraq’s only Anglican church in Baghdad, said on his Facebook page early Monday morning. “Obama says he overestimated what the Iraqi Army could do. Well, you only need to be here a very short while to know they can do very, very little.”

The Christian aid group was referring to the U.S. president’s interview Sunday night on “60 Minutes,” the CBS news magazine show, where Obama conceded that his administration underestimated the ascendancy of ISIS. More than 1,000 Iraqi troops were reportedly killed Sunday in clashes with ISIS about 10 miles outside of Baghdad.

The advance by ISIS toward Baghdad shows that the group isn’t weakening despite U.S.-led airstrikes in Iraq. ISIS executed 300 Iraqi soldiers last week during their march toward the Iraqi capital and attempted to break into a prison in northern Baghdad.

“This attack is very significant. It is the first infantry-like, complex, and penetrating attack in Baghdad city by ISIS since the fall of Mosul in June of this year,” the Washington-based nonprofit Institute for the Study of War wrote on its website, referring to Iraq’s second-largest city, which is in the Islamic State’s hands. “ISIS likely carried out the attack to release some of the pressure it is facing as a result of the recent U.S. air campaign targeting its positions. The attack also signifies that, despite the heightened defenses of Baghdad in the aftermath of the fall of Mosul, ISIS is still able to carry out attacks in an area where it is unlikely to have active sleeper cells.”

U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria have come under criticism over their effectiveness. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry defended the military action last week in a CNN interview. Kerry claimed “Baghdad could have fallen” if it weren’t for the airstrikes, which have predominantly been launched in the northern part of Iraq.

Afghan president to sign deal Tuesday allowing US troops to stay after 2014, officials say

Obamacare

Newly inaugurated Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai is expected to sign a vital security deal Tuesday to allow American soldiers to remainafgan' in the country past the end of the year, officials say.

A senior Defense Department official confirmed to Fox News that the new president will sign the Bilateral Security Agreement allowing for 9,800 U.S. troops to remain in Afghanistan after 2014. The president also is expected to sign a NATO Status of Forces Agreement, which will allow a small NATO force to stay on as well.

John Podesta, a senior adviser to President Obama, also discussed the pact at a news conference at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. According to the White House, U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan James Cunningham will sign the document on behalf of the U.S. president.

The announcement comes after Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai was sworn in Monday as Afghanistan’s new president, replacing Hamid Karzai in the country’s first democratic transfer of power after the 2001 U.S.-led invasion toppled the Taliban. Karzai would not sign the security agreement with the U.S.

Moments after Ghani Ahmadzai took the oath, he swore in his election challenger, Abdullah Abdullah, as chief executive, fulfilling a political pledge he had taken to share power and defuse election tensions that had threatened to spark violence between the country’s north and south.

In his first speech, Ghani Ahmadzai called on the Taliban and other militants to join the country’s political process and lay down their weapons. However, extremist violence Monday killed at least 12 civilians and police officers as foreign forces prepare to withdraw from the country at the end of the year.

“We are tired of war,” Ghani Ahmadzai said in a televised address. “Our message is peace, (but) this doesn’t mean we are weak.”

U.S. officials previously had said they expected Ghani Ahmadzai or an official in his government to sign the security agreement with the U.S. shortly after his inauguration. Both Ghani Ahmadzai and Abdullah said during their campaigns they would sign the deal.

Fox News’ Justin Fishel and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Russia threatens to retaliate against U.S. military

Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-34TEL AVIV – Russia has delivered a behind-the-scenes threat to retaliate if airstrikes carried out by the U.S. or its allies target the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Middle Eastern security officials told WND.

The security officials said Russia complained Sunday in quiet talks with United Nations representatives that the Obama administration’s current aerial campaign against Islamic State fighters in Syria is a violation of international agreements regarding control of Syrian airspace.

The officials said Russia warned it could potentially retaliate if U.S. or Arab airstrikes go beyond targeting Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, and instead bomb any Syrian regime targets.

Imperial Islamic President ObamaThe officials told WND they do not have any information about the seriousness of the Russian threat or whether Moscow meant it would retaliate directly or aid Assad’s air force in a military response.

The officials said Russian diplomats asserted terms regarding Syrian airspace were agreed upon last September as part of a sweeping deal to disarm Syria’s arsenal of chemical weapons by the middle of 2014.

At the time, the international community feared Assad could target chemical weapons inspectors acting in Syria. That fear in part lead to a deal in which Moscow says it was provided with significant responsibility over the skies of Syria, purportedly to insure against Assad’s air force acting against the international disarmament effort.

The officials further said that both the Russia and Iranian militaries are on heightened alert amid the ongoing situation in Syria.

On Saturday, U.S.-led coalition warplanes for the first time reportedly struck ISIS targets in Syria near the Turkish border as well as positions in the country’s east, according to activists and a Kurdish officials speaking to the Associated Press.

Nawaf Khalil, a spokesman for Syria’s Kurdish Democratic Union Party, or PYD, told the AP the strikes targeted Islamic State positions near the Syrian Kurdish town of Kobani.

U.S.-coalition strikes also reportedly targeted a local ISIS headquarters in the northern Syrian town of Tel Abyad along the Turkish border, setting an oil refinery ablaze.

“Our building was shaking and we saw fire, some 60 meters (65 yards) high, coming from the refinery,” local businessman Mehmet Ozer told Time Magazine.

Time reported the strikes were also confirmed by the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and were reported by Turkey’s Dogan news agency.

Six weeks after being declared dead, Canadian Jihadi Farah Mohamed Shirdon resurfaces with threats of NY terror attack

Obamacare

Imperial Islamic President ObamaSix weeks after he was declared dead, a Canadian in the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham resurfaced on video Thursday, vowing the terrorist group was preparing to bomb New York and fly its flag over the White House.

Interviewed from Iraq by the U.S. website Vice.com, Farah Mohamed Shirdon, a former Calgary movie theatre employee, appeared erratic and became increasingly enraged as he dished out threats and claimed God was on his side.

“God willing, we will make some attacks in New York soon, a lot of brothers are mobilizing there right now in the West, thanks to Allah,” he said. Smiling, he added they were “mobilizing for a brilliant attack, my friend.”

ISIS was conducting beheadings because “you attack one of us, we will attack one of you,” he said, adding, “We will stop when we behead the kuffar [disbelievers] and when we turn his children into our slaves.”

But as if to undermine his boasts, he said he was under attack “day and night” and would have to go, apparently because of yet another assault. Calling himself Abu Usamah, Mr. Shirdon was eulogized online by fellow terrorists in August but later returned to Twitter to say he had been injured but was alive.

He is one of several Somali-Canadians thought to have joined ISIS, prompting the Canadian Somali Congress’s Western branch to appeal for government help. A Hamilton, Ont. man presumed dead in ISIS was also a Somali-Canadian.

“No one recruited me. Actually no one spoke a single word to me. All I did, I opened the newspaper, I read the Koran. Very easy,” he said. Five days before he left, Canadian authorities interviewed him, he claimed. “All their intelligence workers are imbeciles,” he said, although he then named the FBI before correcting that it was the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

The nephew of the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Shirdon has made grandiose threats before. After arriving in Iraq, he appeared in an ISIS video in which he burned his passport and threatened Canada and the U.S.

The departure of dozens of Canadian extremists to Syria and Iraq has prompted a crackdown by Ottawa, which has begun cancelling their passports, laying criminal charges and tracking them in case they attempt to return to Canada.

The government added ISIS to its list of outlawed terrorist organizations on Wednesday. The move makes it simpler to investigate, prosecute and deport those who have joined the group or who are otherwise supporting it.

Egyptian President: Obama, Hillary Clinton Failed Thus Far in Libya

Obamacare

24 Sep 2014, 2014

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/09/24/Egyptian-President-Obama-Hillary-Failed-Thus-Far-In-Libya

Egyptian President Abdel Fattahel-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi told the Associated Press—without naming them—that President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not succeed in fixing Libya, even though they did depose dictator Muammar Qaddafi.

“We long ago pointed out the danger in Libya and we said the mission in Libya remains incomplete,” el-Sisi said in the interview, which was promoted by the Egyptian embassy to reporters throughout Washington, D.C. “Following the ouster of the regime (of Moammar Gadhafi in 2011), weapons should have been collected, the army and security agencies should have been rebuilt, and there should have been help in setting up a democratic system that satisfies all Libyans. That never happened.”

El-Sisi was asked by the Associated Press if he’d intervene militarily in Libya to protect Egypt from the chaos happening within that country.Imperial Islamic President Obama

“We have a border with Libya that is 1,200-kilometers long and through which smuggling takes place,” el-Sisi stated, adding:

“We are making an effort on our side in Egypt to stop that, whether it is the smuggling of weapons or fighters who could enter Egypt and carry out terrorist attacks as in the case of Farafrah (a western desert oasis where a deadly attack on Egyptian troops took place earlier this year). Our people died on two occasions in areas close to the Libyan border. So it is needed that we join forces to deal with what we are talking about here.”

For now, el-Sisi said, Egypt and other nations must trust the Libyan parliament to carry out the will of that nation’s people.

“We and Algeria are keen to see Libya stabilized,” el-Sisi said. Elaborating, he declared:

“The situation there poses a danger not just to us and Europeans, it requires a joint effort to restore stability in Libya. There is a parliament there which represents the will of the Libyan people. We support it, and every member of the international community must support the legitimate authority in Libya now.”

In the interview, el-Sisi said that Egypt is “fully committed to cooperate in counterterrorism in the region and not just when it comes to dealing with” ISIS.

“No, we are talking about full support by Egypt to a comprehensive counterterrorism strategy in the region and the entire world too,” el-Sisi said, continuing:

“We don’t want to limit the confrontation to only military and security measures. I imagine that the comprehensive strategy we’re talking about — part of it would be the security and military confrontation, correct, but it would also include fighting poverty. Economic support for countries in the region is also important. We are also talking about improving education, which is important, as well as changes in the Islamic religious discourse. When all this is done, we will achieve decisive results in counterterrorism.”

El-Sisi’s comments on Libya are particularly interesting—especially the suggestion that deposing Qaddafi destabilized the nation—heading into the U.S.’s 2016 election cycle. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), currently the GOP frontrunner for the nomination, according to most battleground state polling data, has hammered Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee if she runs, for doing just that.

In a recent interview with Breitbart News, Paul argued that Clinton and Obama’s actions led to the destabilization of Libya—and, thus, the Benghazi terrorist attack on Sept. 11, 2012—and the rise of ISIS.

“I would say the objective evidence shows that Libya is a less safe place and less secure place, a more chaotic place with more jihadist groups—and really, we’ve had two really bad things happen because of Hillary’s push for this war,” Paul said in the late-August interview:

“One is that our ambassador was killed as a consequence of not having adequate security and really as a consequence of having a really unstable situation there because of the Libyan war, and then most recently our embassy having to flee by land because they couldn’t leave via the airport because of such a disaster in Libya. So I think it’s hard to argue that the Libyan war was a success in any way. From my perspective, the first mistake they made was not asking the American people and Congress for authority to go to war.”Heart

Paul has also now criticized President Obama for not seeking congressional authorization for the airstrikes the President just launched against ISIS bases in Syria, saying that while he would support such airstrikes, Obama should have gone to Congress first.

“I support military action against ISIS but continue to believe the Constitution requires the President to receive congressional authorization,” Paul said in a statement provided to Breitbart News on Tuesday morning.
