This Grieving Dad’s Facebook Photo Is So Sad and Chilling – It May Just Save Someone’s Life

After his 20-year old son overdosed on drugs, Mike Stollings decided to post a photo of his body at the funeral home on Facebook out of grief and guilt.

Mike Stollings’ son Jeramie was 20 years old when he passed away earlier this week. Jeramie was a new father to a 10-month-old son named Asher, and he had recently gotten a new job. He said he did it out of grief and guilt, and a feeling that it is his fault his son is dead.

“I’ll spend the rest of my days on this earth racking my brain trying to figure out what I should have done differently,” he said.

Stollings said he hopes sharing his son’s story can change other people’s lives. Here’s the Facebook post:

lets take another look at how fun drugs are............... this is my son about an hour after the funeral home got him late monday afternoon. when he died he had been bleeding out of his ears and had blood in his hair and foam in his mouth. they were kind enough to clean him before we got there. his body was ice cold from being kept in a refrigerator. my cold dead son. father of a 10 month boy. grandson to 3 living grand parents. step-brother to 2. half brother to 3 son to 2 living parents and a step parent that helped raise him since he was a young child. all completely devastated. well little asher is too young to know what is going on but will live his life wondering what it would be like to know his dad. as many of you know jeramie was pretty open about his relationship with LSD. he was a little more quiet about his love for Dextromethorphan. despite the begging and pleading from me and many others in his family he craved the trip and was obsessed about it............look i know that not everybody that takes drugs is going to die from it. but many do. jeramie thought he had it under control. he thought he was smarter than the drug and had more control than the drug. now he is in a refrigerator in a funeral home in englewood. now people are in transit from all across this country to say their final goodbye's. now my family has to spend over $5000 in funeral expenses. now i will never be able to hike with him or ride dirt bikes with him. he will never be able to take his son camping.............those of you that use just for a little fun here and there. you don't have to use but you like to party a little. think for a second about how there are those around you with larger mental issues. like jeramie, he was carrying some mental baggage that even i can't comprehend. by partying with these people you encourage them and enable them to do it to use drugs as an escape. that is the every last thing people like this need. these people need actual help. these people need encouragement to heal in healthy ways. they need to feel genuine love and uplifting encouragement not encouragement to get high again. think about the influence you have on these people. think about the path of destruction being left behind.......people, learn from this. help make something positive from this tragedy. walk away from this lifestyle. find someone that loves you and ask them for help. don't let this become you. don't do this to your family. use our pain and anguish. learn from it. turn to someone you love. get help. if you do not have some you think you can turn to message me. i'll do all in my power to help you. it's not too late to save yourself and your family from repeating this horror. believe me when i say you do not want to experience this and you do not want your loved ones to have to experience this anguish.

40 Days for Life Prayer Campaign Saves 546 Babies From Abortion

As this 40 Days for Life campaign comes to an end, we have reports of 546 babies saved from abortion – that we know of!

And keep in mind that these aren’t just numbers. That’s 546 individual human beings … and their moms … and their dads … and grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins. Each time a mother says “yes” to life, the impact is profound.

God worked through so many faithful people during this campaign and that work goes on far beyond Day 40. We close with a beautiful witness to what God can do, which should inspire us to consider one question: Could this happen in your town?

VACAVILLE, CALIFORNIA

“God has heard our prayers,” said Noelle in Vacaville. “He has seen our faithfulness and He has plans for our community that we never dreamed of.”

As the Vacaville team was planning this 40 Days for Life campaign, they spotted a sign in front of the office building at 600 Nut Tree Road – that’s where Planned Parenthood is located.

It was a simple real estate sign: “Space for lease.”

So on a whim, they made two calls. One was to the leasing agent. The other was to the director of a pregnancy help center. It would be a blessing, they thought, if assistance could be much closer to Planned Parenthood – and in fact, under the very same roof!

“Never did we think anything would materialize,” recalled Noelle. “It would simply be too good to be true. But, as we know, we must never underestimate the power of God.”

To make a long story short, the pregnancy center’s board of directors signed a lease, and will move into 600 Nut Tree Road – yes, the same building that Planned Parenthood is in.

And not just the same building. They will be right across the hall from Planned Parenthood!

“This means that abortion-minded women – women who feel as if they have no other choice than to end their child’s life – will be presented with real choices and life-affirming options as they walk down the hall to their abortion appointments,” she said.

“Can you imagine the lives that will be saved? The women that will be empowered, loved and supported?”

Volunteers have prayed through 100-degree heat … high winds … heavy rains. At times, they became discouraged, and wondered, “Is this really working?” And, being human, they wondered if God was listening.

“God most certainly has been listening and He had plans greater than anything we could have ever imagined,” Noelle said. “Some might say it’s just a case of good timing, just a coincidence. But we call it divine intervention. It is with awe and gratitude that we give thanks to God for His mercy, His glory and His power.”

Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi freed from Mexican jail, returns to US

After 214 days in a Mexican prison, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi returned home to Florida Saturday, having been freed Friday night after a strong diplomatic push appeared to help convince a judge to release the former Marine on humanitarian grounds.

After reviewing the ruling, Tahmooressi family spokesman Jonathan Franks said the judge acted on a recommendation from the PGR, the Mexican Attorney General’s Office. In that motion, the prosecutor “essentially withdrew the charges,” Franks said. Moments later, the trial judge issued an acquittal in Andrew’s case, calling for an “immediate and absolute release.”

Franks said the private plane carrying Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, his mother and supporters — including former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson — landed at a South Florida airport about 6 a.m. Tahmooressi was freed Friday night and reunited with his mother, Jill, and then boarded the flight to Florida in San Diego.

His release comes after a lengthy, closed trial and a Congressional hearing in September highly critical of Obama Administration efforts to secure his release and Mexico’s refusal to let him go. Tahmooressi said he made an innocent mistake the evening he crossed into Tijuana with three weapons in his truck on March 31.

While his defense rested its case several weeks ago, Tahmooressi’s release came only after a strong diplomatic push from former Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico and Reps. Ed Royce (R-CA) and Matt Salmon (R-AZ). Speaking by phone on his way to board a plane with Tahmooressi, Richardson said the trio, along with talk show host Montel Williams, met with Mexico’s Attorney General and Ambassador to the US, advocating for his liberation.

“The totality of diplomacy, the judicial process, the legal strategy and the importance of the American-Mexican relationship resulted in Andrew’s release,” Richardson said. “And now we have this great outcome. Andrew’s coming home.”

As late as Friday morning, the family spokesman told Fox News the judge was not expected to make a decision for at least another week. While the spokesman expressed optimism, the there was no certainty that the judge would rule in Tahmooressi’s favor and could have found him guilty of firearms possession. His attorney had argued for his release based on humanitarian grounds and on a violation of his civil rights.

Upon release, Mexican officials processed him quickly through immigration, Richardson said.

“He was happy. He was smiling. He’s looking good. His spirits are high,” Richardson told Fox News, adding that Tahmooressi said he wants a steak dinner and stone crabs.

But Richardson said Tahmooressi is seeking privacy and still needs to receive treatment for his Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, something that wasn’t available in Mexican prison– a key argument put forth by defense attorney Fernando Benitez.

The three officials, along with Tahmooressi’s mother Jill, have spent the last week in Tijuana pressing officials for his release.

Speaking by phone on his way to board a plane with Tahmooressi, Richardson said the trio, along with talk show host Montel Williams, met with Mexico’s Attorney General and Ambassador to the US, advocating for his liberation.

FoxNews.com covered Tahmooressi’s seven-month ordeal extensively, with numerous reports from the Tijuana court where hearings were held, interviews with the jailed Marine by telephone and several guest opinion columns by military, medical and legal experts critical of his treatment in Mexico.

Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteran also covered the case extensively, even driving the poorly-marked and confusing route Tahmooressi took the night he was detained and going to the prison where he was held. But other national media outlets largely ignored the plight of Tahmooressi, and the White House was heavily criticized for not doing more to secure his release despite the fact that Tahmooressi served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Benitez said that Tahmooressi’s condition was continuing to deteriorate and Mexico didn’t have the expertise or facilities to treat his PTSD, which he suffered after two tours in Afghanistan.

The defense attorney also alleged that customs agents held Tahmooerssi illegally, denying him access to a translator, lawyer and consular access.

But after the seven-month ordeal, it was the PTSD argument that ultimately pressured the judge to acquit Tahmooressi.

“The judicial process of Mexico made the right choice,” Richardson said. “The humanitarian release was justified based on PTSD, something that the Mexican judicial and medical system is not as conscious of as the United States.”

This is the testimony of Alex. She and her mom are now pro-life speakers. Even at three, Alex knew she’d lost a brother or sister. Children pick up on things adults say, even things about abortion.

When I was 3 years old I saw my mom on TV. She was speaking to a man about how she killed her baby and regretted it. As she told her story and how she became a pro-life speaker, I watched and listened. My grandma didn’t think I was old enough to understand.

When my mom picked me up that night I asked her why she killed my brother or sister and why she didn’t kill me. My mom said she was in shock that her 3-year-old would ask these questions. She answered them the best she could for me, and as I got older I learned more.

Now my mom and I are pro-life speakers. She has been one for almost 15 years, and I just started last year. My mom was 18 when she had the abortion, and I’m now 17.

I thank God I’m alive. I’m still sad to know I have an older brother or sister who was denied the chance to LIVE – something we all take for granted. I hope someday we will meet. That’s why I do what I do.

This Beautiful Baby Girl Was Left to Die in A Plastic Bag, But God Had Different Plans

In February 2013, a child known as Baby Chloe was abandoned outside an apartment complex in Texas. She was left to die inside a Walmart plastic bag; however, a dog walker found her shortly after she was abandoned.

The Houston Chronicle shares more:

The baby was discovered by a woman walking her dogs in northwest Harris County when the animals became interested in a Wal-Mart bag on the perimeter of the Stonegate Villas Apartments. About 3 inches of the child’s umbilical cord was still attached.

She was a distinct infant – born with one bottom tooth – who weighed 4 pounds and 12 ounces. Medical officials determined that she was a late preterm baby delivered at 36 to 37 weeks’ gestation. She was named Chloe by the Texas Children’s Hospital staff.

“She was perfectly healthy,” Olguin said. “No injuries, no health issues. No hypothermia. She was out there in February. She didn’t suffer any consequences from being left out in the elements.”

Despite releasing sketches depicting what the biological mother and father might look like and offering a rare opportunity for the media to photograph an abandoned child, officials have been unable to locate Chloe’s parents. When the pictures were released, CPS received calls from across the United States and abroad.

A few people were tested for a DNA match to the child, “but we didn’t come up with any leads,” Olguin said.”

Now, Chloe’s in foster care and her foster parents are planning to adopt her. The authorities have been unable to locate her biological parents and their parental rights have been terminated.

Amazingly, in the video below Chloe is all smiles despite her rough start in the world.

In Defense of a Child’s Life

Little Thing:

Little Thing? He or She is not a little THING. He’s a little PERSON. She could have said “Little One” and that would have been ok but to say “Little Thing”? That’s demeaning.

I can feel you in there. I’ve got twice the appetite and half the energy. It breaks my heart that I don’t feel the enchantment that I’m supposed to feel. I am both sorry and not sorry.

Oh goodness. My heart just breaks for her. Not. Just because she doesn’t feel happy about being a mother this is going to cause her to murder her child? I’ll take him/her. I’d love to be a parent.

I am sorry that this is goodbye. I’m sad that I’ll never get to meet you. You could have your father’s eyes and my nose and we could make our own traditions, be a family. But, Little Thing, we will meet again.

Um, no you won’t, unless you get to heaven. See, I don’t know if you’re aware of this MOM, but each child has its own DNA and will have its own looks and personality. So you will never meet the child that you are getting ready to kill. (Unless you get to heaven, which is possible if you believe in the salvation of Christ.)

I promise that the next time I see that little blue plus, the next time you are in the same reality as me, I will be ready for you.

Again, you are not going to get the same exact child because each child is its own person. Also there are MANY people that ARE ready. They’d do anything they could to have a child but they can’t. Again, I’ll take he/she if you don’t want your baby. Don’t condemn him/her to death because he/she is an inconvenience for you. Every child is a wanted child, they just might not be wanted to by the birth parents.

Little Thing, I want you to be happy.

So you’re going to kill it? How happy is that child going to be as he/she is literally being ripped from limb to limb?

More than I want good things for myself,

Bullcrap. This is all about you. The first word in the body of your letter is I. People put the most important ideas first in letters and speeches.

I want the best things for the future.

Thank you for proving my point that it is all about you. If you truly wanted the best things for the future, you’d give this child a future with parents that would love him/her to infinity.

That’s why I can’t be your mother right now.

As if there’s no other choice between raising the child yourself or abortion. There are women, like me, that are ready and we would do anything legal and moral to take your child and love them as if we gave birth to him/her.

I am still growing myself.

Obviously, because you are making a very immature decision. “I’m not ready for you. So I’m going to kill you and go on with my life and when I’m ready magically the same child will be in my tummy.” Not going to happen.

It wouldn’t be fair to bring a new life into a world where I am still haunted by ghosts of the life I’ve lived.

So every parent in the world had a perfect past? If you think that you are obviously, you are very immature. Actually what it is is you are trying to justify murdering your child. And talk about being haunted by ghosts, MANY women who have had abortions totally regret it.

I want you to have all the things I didn’t have when I was a child.

NO YOU DON’T. Because you had a life as a child, right? You’re taking the one thing this child right now, his/her life. So what if you can’t provide everything? My mom was a single parent and she couldn’t either. But it made me tough, ambitious, and self-reliant. Sometimes the best gift you can give your child is not give them the gift and make them work for what they want. I’m sure that baby doesn’t care right now that you can’t shower it with gifts at Christmas, but he/she cares very much that you are going to take their life.

I want you to be better than I ever was and more magnificent than I ever could be.

So again, your solution is to kill your child? The ONLY way that what you say you want to happen will actually happen is if that child LIVES. Give that child up for adoption if really want him/her to be “better than I ever was and more magnificent than I ever could be.”

I can’t do to you what was done to me: Plant a seed made of love and spontaneity into a garden, and hope that it will grow on only dreams. Love and spontaneity are beautiful, but they have little merit. And while I have plenty of dreams to go around, dreams are not an effective enough tool for you to build a better tomorrow. I can’t bring you here. Not like this.

Oh my goodness, what is this clap-trap? Plant a seed of love? Look, don’t romanticize this. You got pregnant before you wanted to. It sounds like you were raised by a single parent like I was. But if you don’t want to put this child through the same tough life you had, (and believe me, I had a tough single parented life too) then give it a chance with people that would give anything to have a child. Don’t condemn him/her to death just because you can’t give this child the life you want to.

I love you, Little Thing, and I wish the circumstances were different.

Then make the circumstances different. Have the child and give him/her up for adoption. That’s a win-win-win for everyone. You get to go on and have the life you want. A child gets to live life. A couple gets to become a family.

I promise I will see you again, and next time, you can call me Mom.

Again, you will not see THIS particular child again unless you get to heaven. I understand that adoption is difficult and heart-wrenching but many birth mothers are now involved in their child’s life and that can be helpful. Do yourself and this child a favor; give this child the chance to live and yourself the knowledge that you gave a couple the only gift that they want but can’t get themselves.

Abortion Activist Leads Prayer at Missouri Legislature, Prays to “Loving Mother God”

The head of a pro-abortion organization was invited to the Missouri House Chamber to open them in prayer before the induction of women’s right to vote activist Virginia Minor, into the Hall of famous Missourians.

Rev. Rebecca Turner has been Executive Director of Faith Aloud since June of 2001.

Faith Aloud is a group of religious people who believe in abortion for every person. They describe themselves on their website this way, “We are people of diverse religious beliefs, denominations, and practices. Our mission is to eliminate the religious stigma of abortion.”

Faith Aloud is known for some of their social media memes giving thanks for abortion. They organize the 40 Days for Prayer to Keep Abortion Safe and Legal

On their website they describe the event which mocks the pro-life 40 days of prayer, to “be grateful that abortion is safe and legal in the United States, and to be mindful that we are moving toward a future where everyone [sic] feels supported in their reproductive decision-making, safe in their relationships, and comforted and strengthened by their faith.”

Ironically, Rev. Rebecca Turner, began her prayer, “Loving mother God…from whose womb we came into being…”

Apparently – the Rev. Turner is grateful she came from her God’s womb but advocates for the ability to destroy others in their mother’s womb.

Actually- the rest of the prayer is creepy and I cringed listening to it – but- if you want to hear it – it is below:

I am a mom of a three year old little girl and had no plans to get pregnant again because I have a severe spinal injury — a fused pelvis full of metal and can barely walk. I am in constant pain. My pain was so severe I was on dilaudid pills.

I got hurt while on active duty in the U.S. army, during training. My condition is a result of multiple injuries. First I broke my leg — a complete compound fracture, but I was lied to and was told it was only a sprain. So I then attempted to jump out of a 5 ton vehicle with 100 lbs of gear on my body. The drop off was 5.5 ft high — I was standing when I jumped.

My ligaments across my sacrum could not handle the stress because the leg had not healed at that point, so my pelvis gave out on impact, resulting in bi-lateral tears across the SI joint. I then kept going, even though it was painful — just like I did with the leg, because my dream was to be an airborne soldier. While practicing to fall from an 8 ft tall platform, the same thing happened to my other side and my pubic bone. I now have half of a pubic bone, and the only thing holding my pelvis together is my metal hardware, most of which is loose. So there is a lot of pain from that. I have several more surgeries to undergo because the first two were not done properly.

It’s been extremely painful. My life as a person has completely changed since I got out of the military and that in itself has been a journey. I’ve been all across the USA to get treatment for my condition.

That aside, when I became pregnant, I had only been dating the father for a month and a half. The first time we were intimate, our choice of birth control failed. I didn’t think twice about it, because it took 10 months for me to conceive my 3 year old daughter. So when our “protection” malfunctioned, I brushed it off. I had no clue that at that moment, I had become pregnant.

A few weeks later, when I wasn’t even late yet, I took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I had convinced myself at first to get an abortion. I talked myself into it thinking it was justifiable because of my injuries and how hard it would be on me. And the list of how easy it would be on me was long if I just got an abortion. I was sold on aborting as my solution, despite having some Christian background. When I called my boyfriend to tell him I was pregnant, he just wanted to support whatever decision I made.

After first visiting an Ob/gyn, I went to one appointment at Planned Parenthood, without telling anyone I was going. At the first appointment, I was 10 weeks along. They performed an ultrasound and I saw the baby — I saw that at just 10 weeks, she looked human. I had already detoxed off my pain medication and was still having severe morning sickness. My boyfriend and I were on a break from our relationship. So I made the follow up appointment for a couple days later to have the “procedure done.”

The day before, I was still convinced it was the thing to do. On my way to the abortion clinic, I started to throw up, per the norm of my morning sickness. I pulled the car over — I was alone and I couldn’t stop puking. Since I was late for the appointment, I rescheduled for the following day. The same thing happened; however, instead of feeling nothing, I looked at the ultrasound photo from three days prior, saw the little human, and just started to cry.

I realized I had made so many “me” and “I” statements. I am poor, living on V.A. disability. I found a bunch of reasons to not have this baby. But as I sat there, I realized I made a choice to have sex — the baby did not ask to be here. At that moment, I realized, “Who am I to pick which of my kids lives and which one dies?” It wasn’t as simple as a “procedure,” and that was the thing — I was going to kill a baby. The baby has a heartbeat, a face, fingers and toes.

That day, I turned around went back home and prayed. I had a “come to Jesus meeting,” as I like to say. I felt bad that I even considered killing my child, and I asked for forgiveness. I told the baby’s father I couldn’t do it, and he said he was glad I didn’t – that he thanks God I did not! We haven’t been a couple long, but we decided no matter what happens with us, we will be there for our daughter. I had even considered adoption if I felt I couldn’t care for her myself.

This pregnancy wasn’t easy — in fact, my baby girl was diagnosed in utero with a rare heart condition — a right-sided aorta with a vascular ring, and also bladder issues. I had trouble walking and had to use a wheelchair and walker. My nausea almost had me hospitalized and lasted 24 weeks. I ended up with placenta previa, as well as placenta abrupta at 20 weeks, which healed itself. I had to see a neonatal specialist, as well as a regular doctor. I needed to have a c-section two weeks early because of my pain. I have a pubic plate and bilateral SI joint fusion, so I could not push a baby out. A pelvis specialist was on call while I was in the operating room during delivery because of my hardware and nerve damage.

I am sharing my story because if I can complete a pregnancy being in pain, having disabilities and not being super-rich, anyone can. I am so glad I continued my pregnancy! There is no way I would have been able to forgive myself if I had gone through with the abortion. Now I have my beautiful daughter — Alexia Grace, born August 27th. I know I am a good mom, and every child deserves a chance at life!

ATLANTA – S. Truett Cathy, the billionaire founder of the privately held Chick-fil-A restaurant chain that famously closes on Sundays but also drew unwanted attention on gay marriage in recent years because of his family’s conservative views, died early Monday, a company spokesman said. He was 93.

Chick-fil-A spokesman Mark Baldwin told The Associated Press that Cathy died at home surrounded by members of his family. Funeral plans had not yet been finalized, he said.

Cathy opened his first postwar diner in an Atlanta suburb in 1946 and by 1967 he had founded and opened his first Chick-fil-A Inc. restaurant in Atlanta. Over ensuing decades, the chain’s boneless chicken sandwich he is credited with inventing would propel Chick-fil-A expansion to more than 1,800 outlets in 39 states and the nation’s capital. By early 2013, the company says on its website, annual sales topped $5 billion as the chain offered up a taste of the South that went beyond chicken to such offerings as sweet tea, biscuits and gravy.

Under the religiously conservative founder, the chain gained prominence for its Bible Belt observance of Sunday — none of its hundreds of restaurants are open on that day, to allow employees a day of rest. Its executives often said the chain made as much money in six days as its competitors do in seven.

Those religious views helped win Cathy and his family loyal following from conservative customers, but also invited protests when Cathy’s son denounced gay marriage.

Cathy’s son, Dan, who is currently chairman and president of the chain, had told the Baptist Press in 2012 that the company was “guilty as charged” for backing “the biblical definition of a family.” Gay rights groups and others called for boycotts and kiss-ins at Cathy’s restaurants. The Jim Henson Co. pulled its Muppet toys from kids’ meals, while politicians in Boston and Chicago told the chain it is not welcome there.

The controversy later subsided.

The family-owned company has said it has had 46 consecutive years of positive sales growth. Cathy’s $6 billion fortune as the founder of Chick-fil-A puts him on the yearly Forbes magazine list of the wealthiest Americans in the country. The company has listed him on its website as its chairman emeritus after he left day-to-day operations to younger generations.

Truett Cathy began his career in the restaurant business by opening with his brother in 1946 an Atlanta diner called The Dwarf Grill, which was named for the short and stout shape of the restaurant.

He has attributed his hardworking nature — even as a little boy he made money by selling six bottles of Coca-Cola for a quarter — to growing up poor.

“I’ve experienced poverty and plenty and there’s a lesson to be learned when you’re brought up in poverty,” he said in 2007. “I had to create some good work habits and attitude.”

Even well into his 80s, Cathy was actively involved in the chain’s operations, including setting up a contract with his children that said they may sell the privately-owned chain in the future but the company must never go public.

“Why would I retire from something I enjoy doing?” Cathy said in a 2007 interview. “I can hardly wait to get here.”

An opportunity in 1961 led to the development of the restaurant chain’s trademark chicken sandwich when a company that cooked boneless, skinless chicken for airline meals wanted to sell him pieces that were too big for the airline customer’s needs. Cathy took those pieces and cooked them in a pressure cooker and served them in buttered buns.

The sandwich was sold at independent restaurants for a few years before he opened his first Chick-fil-A restaurant at an Atlanta shopping mall in 1967.

Cathy also was known for his efforts to help youth. In 1984 he created the WinShape Foundation to help “shape winners” through youth support programs and scholarships. He also created a long-term program for foster children that has foster care homes in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Brazil.

His sympathy for children was demonstrated in August 2008 when he worked out a deal with the parents of two girls who were accused of causing $30,000 in damage to a home he owned in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The girls were banned from watching TV and playing video games. They also had to write “I will not vandalize other people’s property” 1,000 times.

He told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that he didn’t want to have them prosecuted and left with a criminal record.

As the author of several books, his 2007 book “How Did You Do It, Truett?” outlined his strategy for success that included setting priorities, being courteous, cautiously expanding a business and not being burdened with debt.

“There’s really no secret for success,” he said then. “I hope it will open eyes for people. They don’t have to follow my recipe but this is what works for me.”

Amazing Video “Life in the Womb” Chronicles 9 Months of Development in 4 Minutes

I always love to watch well-done stories of fetal development, even more so now that our daughter-in-law has had two babies.

NRL News Today has written about many YouTube videos, here’s one more: “Life in the Womb (9 months in four minutes)”

So what makes this compelling viewing?

For some of the same reasons other well-done videos grab your attention: pace, music, and most of all the clear demonstration that fetal development is a natural progression, starting at fertilization and ending with the first cry. But there’s more.

For example, the video double backs. You see that the baby has fully developed outer ears and then a little bit later the viewer sees a schematic (as it were) of the middle and inner ear. Message? Complexity.

You see examples of the behavior expectant parents can now see on 4-D ultrasounds: the smiles, the yawning, the swallowing of amniotic fluid, the nibbling on the toes, the movement to gain maneuvering room as the child grows larger.

I’m sure I’ve probably seen this before, but this video does a very nice job of conveying the last part of the baby’s journey: moving down through the birth canal.

One other thought: pro-lifers all know that the umbilical cord is the baby’s lifeline, connecting mom and baby, so that the little one can receive nutrients and oxygen. But “Life in the Womb (9 months in four minutes)” helps us appreciate what an endless source of fascination it must be to the baby.

Washington, DC (LiveActionNews) — Mollie Thomas was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. Her parents are a loving couple, who grew her up in the Christian faith. From the young age of five Mollie had an awareness of the love of Jesus. When she was eight Mollie’s church held a presentation put on by a local crisis pregnancy center.

During the presentation a clip of an abortion was shown. Mollie remembers seeing the baby’s limbs being pulled off its body while in its mother’s womb. She describes the dismemberment scene as ‘nightmarish’, and was shocked she was actually allowed to watch it.

Although the image was quite gruesome, it left an undeniable mark on her heart. Mollie is now a wife of nine years to her husband Jonathan and mother to a adorable three-year-old girl. She’s also a gifted dancer who teaches ballet in Indiana. Mollie’s dances are a expression of the deepest parts of her. When the dance ministry at Mollie’s church put on a production, they asked her to do a dance to the Lord’s Prayer. Instead of just doing a dance to that prayer, Molly decided to turn her dance into a artistic prayer for the lives of the unborn.

In 2013 a man told Mollie he had a vision of her on a beach picking up a conch shell. When she picked it up she was able to hear the sound of multitudes. Although she initially had no idea what that meant, later God revealed to her that the sound was the masses of aborted children. That image along with her husband’s media production skills helped bring forth this powerful dance.

The simplicity and beauty of this dance moved me to contact Mollie and interview her. I wanted to know what she desired to accomplish by releasing this dance publicly. She said: ‘I asked God for years to please give me some sort of outlet for the anguish I’ve felt over abortion. There was a sense of release I felt in my heart after the completion of this piece. It has been a major accomplishment for me personally, and If God chooses to use it beyond that, then I am deeply honored’.

In the last decade we’ve seen an increase in the release of pro-life themed movies, songs and artwork. I asked Mollie if she thought the arts played an important role in the pro-life movement.

She responded: ‘I believe God desires to use creative voices in the culture to combat the war that rages against His beloved creation, and the pro-life movement is in great need of them. Through history, art has given expression to movements and it should be essential in the pro life movement. Through the arts, I believe some of the hard truths that people either don’t want to hear, aren’t aware of, or are hardened to in some ways, can be delivered in fresh and abstract ways that move past their objections and touch their emotions. I don’t care what the art form is, I just want to see more Christ driven artists from every discipline, come together with their own voices and create masterpieces of life and love that can penetrate and transform even the hardest of hearts.

Since adoption is an essential part of reducing abortion, I asked Mollie for her thoughts on it. Her answer was consistent with the character and passion of her heart.

‘I believe adoption is critical. I believe that beyond heart transformation, it’s the only option. My husband and I have determined that we can’t fully speak and stand against abortion unless we are willing to be a part of the solution. We are currently preparing our lives to pursue adoption’.

Mollie is one of many women who is grieved by the massive loss of life through abortion. What sets her apart, is the way she’s using her gift to speak about the issue. There’s a part of the video where countless grains of sand fall through Mollie’s hands. The imagery speaks to me of the precious lives that were slain, fallen to the ground and never to be recovered this side of heaven. It’s a sobering reality, yet one that Mollie addresses with grace and compassion. The best art is the kind that touches the heart, and moves the audience to action. May Mollie’s dance lead you to use your gifts, talents and skills to speak out against the atrocity of abortion.

U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi

The mother of a U.S. Marine jailed in Mexico for inadvertently driving across the border with weapons that are legal in the U.S., is inviting concerned Americans to write to her son.

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who has been held in Mexico since March, is in solitary confinement in a detention center were he has limited access to media but is allowed to receive letters, said his mother, Jill Tahmooressi.

Jill Tahmooressi said the letters would be an encouragement to her son.

“He needs to continue to hear from his supporters here in America, so that’s why we are asking for the public to write to him,” she said. “He has absolutely no distraction in that Mexican jail. Solitary confinement, no radio, no television; he is only allowed one book at a time, but he is allowed letters.

“So we encouraging the American people to write him letters because it keeps him connected … so he knows that he has not been forgotten.”

The Marine’s most recent hearing, held this week, was followed by a fundraiser for his legal defense.

At the hearing, Fernando Benitez presented further defense evidence that Tahmooressi’s rights under the Mexican Constitution were violated.

Two Mexican customs officials and two military personnel examined Tahmooressi’s prolonged detention at the border and the legality of the search warrant to search his vehicle.

Philip R. Dunn, a 30-year criminal defense attorney and president of Serving California, a faith-based, nonprofit organization committed to assisting veterans, crime victims, incarcerated inmates, and their families and communities, is assisting the Tahmooressi family.

Members helped Andrew’s mother hire their new attorney, Benitez, who represented the decorated veteran Monday in the Mexican court.

In an interview with WND, Jill Tahmooressi said she’s grateful for help.

She said she is feeling “tried, but sure.”

“I still have faith. It’s God’s perfect timing. I know that Andrew is going to get out. So I am hanging in there and trying to keep Andrew optimistic.”

The Fox News Channel’s Tamara Holder joined the Smart Life program to discuss this weeks’ hearing and expressed concern that the public outrage directed at Mexico might have a negative impact on the sergeant’s release.

Jill Tahmooressi said she is aware of the concern and is trying to be respectful.

“I’ve been very careful to be respectful of Mexico’s law. All I have asked for from the very beginning is an expedited due process for Andrew,” she said.

She said that both she and Andrew respect Mexico’s right to its own rule of law and to due process even though Andrew merely made a mistake.

She wants to remain positive and to thank the American people.

“It’s amazing, coast to coast, I feel like my family has grown,” she said. ” … I now have this universe of a family. I know Andrew feels it, because I read to him the prayers and support messages. … He is so appreciative. That has been the most amazing thing … how America can rally together for this Marine.”

She talked about Andrew’s older sister, who is diving into her career as a chiropractor. Jill Tahmooressi says his sister prays ardently for Andrew, and she is staying hopeful.

Tahmooressi originally was held in La Mesa prison, where he endured severe abuse and death threats. He’s currently being held in El Hongo II State Correctional Facility, 40 kilometers southeast of Tecate, where he now has a 24-hour guard and receives regular visits from chaplains with Prison Fellowship and Baja Christian Ministries.

Jill Tahmooressi said his faith has been his rock, and his visits with his chaplains have been his strength during a very lonely, and trying time.

He spent Independence Day alone except for an opportunity to walk around an open area for a limited time.

The Tahmooressi family hopes that by Labor Day, their nightmare will be over.

Jill Tahmooressi plans a “grand family celebration” for Andrew’s homecoming in their south Florida home, and then she says he will get quickly back into his PTSD recovery plan at a Christian treatment facility in California.

They are still waiting for President Obama’s response to their 135,000-strong petition signed at WhitehHouse.gov. Thus far, they have heard nothing.

“Andrew has lost his life’s savings over this ordeal, because we are [with] attorney number three,” she explained.

Abby Johnson from “And Then There Were None” shared the following account from a former clinic worker in an email:

“A woman came into our clinic one afternoon, in obvious pain. Another abortion facility down the road had given her a very heavy dose of Misoprostol to abort her quadruplets. She was already into her second trimester.

We guided her into the bathroom, undressed her from the waist down, and instructed her to sit on the toilet. We were all horrified at the events that unfolded in the next few minutes.

The first baby fell into the toilet. The nurse grabbed a chux pad and held it to her bottom as we hurried her to the procedure room. It was then that the next two babies fell out and were hanging from her. The arms of the perfectly formed lifeless baby boys were wrapped around each other.

We were finally able to get her to the procedure room we started IV sedation, but she was still in so much pain. The fourth baby had had to be suctioned out of her. He came out in pieces.

I remember sobbing with a co-worker as we sorted through the remains of the fourth baby boy in the POC lab. We cradled the tiny intact babies in our arms and cried for them. I knew that I could no longer do this work. I was done.”

The clinic worker contacted “And Then There Were None” right after this incident, and left the clinic that very day. The former clinic worker reached out to her colleagues and four other workers ended up leaving.

We’re not sure what they’re teaching 9-1-1 emergency operators these days, but the bad advice given to one individual seeking emergency services might just get you killed.

An 80-year old woman in Florida who was recovering from hip surgery was relaxing in her home when two burglars smashed her back door window and made their way inside. When N.J. Logan realized it wasn’t her husband she grabbed her gun and immediately called 9-1-1.

According to Logan, who says she didn’t want to shoot anyone, the 9-1-1 dispatcher repeatedly urged her to put the gun down.

Logan’s response?

“I’ll put the gun down when I see the police.”

The burglars exited the premises before the police got there and no injuries were reported.

In what world does it make sense for someone in their own home to surrender their firearm when being faced with such a threat?

An amazing new video that appeared on the Today show shows life before birth. The pro-life movement already knows unborn babies are capable or truly astonishing things and this report confirms it.

Dr. Bill Fifer, a professor of psychiatry at Columbia University and a leading expert on fetal and newborn learning, appears on the program and says “Everything that a newborn baby does, a fetus has pretty much done already.”

“They’re exquisitely able to sense information over all parts of their body, although some are more sensitive than others, like around the mouth, around the feet, around the hands,” he continues.

Experts say kicking and other activity can be a reaction to mom eating or changing positions; or it might happen just because the baby feels like moving around.

Mom’s emotions can also cause certain movements. The more stress pregnant women reported, the more frequently their fetuses touched their faces with their left hands, researchers at Durham and Lancaster universities in the UK announced last month. Their study was published in the journal “Laterality: Asymmetries of Body, Brain and Cognition.”

“This suggests maternal stress could be having on effect on the child’s behavior in the womb and highlights the importance of reducing maternal stress in pregnancy,” Dr. Nadja Reissland, the lead author, said.

The report also discusses how a new study shows even before they are born, babies are learning from experience, especially if it’s directly related to their moms. Babies before birth learn nursery rhymes from their moms while while in the womb. So much for just being blobs of tissue.

Some time this week, 27-year-old Meriam Ibrahim is expected to arrive among relatives in Manchester, New Hampshire.

She made international news for being sentenced to death in Sudan for her Christian faith, but she was able to get to Rome on July 24 and will be in Manchester soon.

According to the Washington Examiner, “she and her family fled Sudan following the overturning of her conviction in late June.” However, she was arrested again for allegedly “falsifying travel documents” as she and her family tried to get to the United States.

CNN reports that she and her family were then “confined to a safe house in Sudan” until they were able to flee to Italy.

Once in Italy, Meriam’s husband Daniel called relatives in New Hampshire to say they were coming home.

Meriam was originally detained in mid-January. Upon receiving her death sentence she told the court, “I am a Christian, and I will remain a Christian.”

Kids are going to hurt themselves, and try as any parent may to protect them from all threats – they’re going to experience some bumps and bruises – no matter how vigilant you are. Especially when they’re very young – they’re going to “fall down, go boom.”

As I sit here writing this, my 16-month-old daughter is eating an egg and mushroom omelette. She loves mushrooms.

Along with God and my wife, she’s one of the most precious things in my life. I look at her and want to make sure nothing bad ever happens to her but unfortunately, that is an impossibility.

Especially for my daughter who seems to be fearless.

She has not met an obstacle that is too big to climb, but at 16 months old, her balance and agility don’t match her adventurous spirit. Sometimes I’m able to catch her or at least lessen the fall.

Other times she falls, gets hurt and cries. My wife or I pick her up and love the pain away. As soon as my daughter feels better she’s at it again. What I’m describing above is natural though – just “growing pains.” Children will get hurt.

Riding bicycles, climbing slides, running and falling… it is called being a kid. It scares us as parents but of course it’s natural. Sadly, Now, there are also some very real unnatural threats/hurts out there that can guarded against.

For example. Would you send your 7-year-old daughter to a sex offenders house for a sleepover? That’s not a joke or even rhetorical, in fact, a “writer” on slate.com is suggesting just that – albeit with an explanation and caveat to at least think about:

In a “Dear Abbey” like column a lady identified as “Stumped” asks if she should allow her daughter to have a sleepover at a friend’s house where the father is a registered sex offender. His offense occurred some years ago for having sex with his then 14-year-old girlfriend. He was 18 at the time and was turned in by the girls parents (rightly so in my opinion!).

Now Emily Yoffe at slate.com writes:

“He has been held accountable for his actions, he is no threat to the community (including your daughter), and what he did when he was a teen should not haunt him the rest of his days..”

So the question at least in Emily Yoffe’s mind becomes one of degree: Should the actions of an 18-year-old follow him around on a permanent “sex offender” record – or should young people “in love” be treated differently than, say pedophiles, rapists or other types of sexual assault? Most parents of young girls know what this man did when he was 18 is wrong and would agree that a 14-year-old girl doesn’t have the ability to consent as an adult.

But decades later, now with his own daughter and family – is he a danger to society? Perhaps, but is it automatic and a no-brainer? Perhaps not. We’ve all read stories of authoritative overreach where a grade schooler will be charged with a sex offense for kissing the little red-haired girl in their second-grade class during recess.

Permanent record for rambunctious little 7-year-old Billy?

Or what about in States where a 16-year-old boy (notice I didn’t say, ‘man’?) can be charged with the statutory rape of his 15-year-old girlfriend – when both of them have been “hooking up” for who knows how long?

I’m not excusing or condoning it. If I find out about something like this with my little angel when she grows up – that boy better hope he’s taken into custody before I get to him.

It is your responsibility to keep your children safe, that I know and harmless or not this is a “threat” that can be avoided. Alas, as I said, she’ll fall down and go boom a few times along the way, I’m afraid.

However, as her daddy, I will still try to protect her from all harm. That is what we do as parents.

This afternoon, thanks to pro-life blogger Chelsea Zimmerman, I was vividly reminded of the rush of emotions lo those many years ago. She linked to a video whose closing line for the two-minute long video is “Technology can never replace love.”

First shot: a little baby is crying her lungs out and a young dad leaps from his chair (where he was probably sleeping) and races to the crib. What to do? What else? Uses his smart phone to call mom, who is shopping.

What should I do, he asks, she won’t stop crying? Maybe she’s hungry. In a hilarious moment, he takes a quick look down, realizes he isn’t carrying the necessary equipment (so to speak). What else? Well, use the phone to show her the dancing penguins. Nope, no dice, she cries louder.

Here is a positive, life-affirming story that creates beauty from ashes.

A grieving father took to the Internet with a simple request: Help me remember my daughter without the machines that surrounded her for her short life. What he got in return was unexpected.

Nathen Steffel’s daughter, Sophia, was born May 30 and lived only six weeks. She died July 10 from complications from a hepatic hemangioma , a liver tumor, he wrote on Reddit .

Sophia spent part of her life at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus and was later taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital – where there were more surgeons and experts available to care for her, he said.

“She was on the waiting list for her liver when she passed from complications involving the pressure on her abdomen due to the hemangioma,” he wrote.

That’s when he went on Reddit. Along with a photo of his daughter, he wrote :

“Photoshop Request: My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children’s hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?”

The response to the post, written this weekend, was massive.

In two days, the post has received almost 3,000 replies and dozens of edited images of Sophia, free from the burden of her tubes and hospital bed.

Holly Fisher, the pro-life activist who faced all sorts of attacks from abortion backers on Twitter after a picture she posted of herself in a pro-life t-shirt supporting Hobby Lobby went viral, is now facing death threats and threats regarding her children.

Still, despite the attacks, Holly has no intention of backing down in her support of the pro-life cause or Hobby Lobby’s fight against having to pay for abortion-causing drugs.

To show support for the recent Hobby Lobby Supreme Court decision, Holly Fisher – aka “Holly Hobby Lobby” – posted a photo of herself wearing a “pro-life” T-shirt and holding a Chick-fil-A cup in front of one of the arts-and-crafts chain’s locations in West Virginia.

The abortion backer who attacked a pro-life teen in a profane rant captured on video yesterday is defending her actions and has no intention of apologizing.

Pro-life activist Seth Drayer was physically attacked (video below) while leading a group of pro-life students in sharing the pro-life message in downtown Columbus, Ohio today. The video shows a woman in a Burger King shirt attacking the pro-lifers.

She says, ““You’re just a white f—— privileged racist f—— male who doesn’t stand for women’s rights.” The abortion advocate adds, “No uterus, no right to talk about it. Understand, Mother f—–?”

The abortion backer has been identified as Victoria Duran and she is seen on video yelling at the protestors and kicking down their signs.

ABC6/FOX28 caught up with Duran hours later and asked her about her actions.

“The first amendment protects them from government interference it doesn’t protect them from people basically telling them they’re idiots. But you assaulted them? Assault I wouldn’t necessarily say shoving them aside and telling them to keep the camera out of my face as assault. You think it’s okay to push people? I believe that I had the right to tel them the did not have my consent to film me,” said Duran.

Sudan Court Will Free Meriam Ibrahim, Sentenced to Death for Her Christian Faith

Reports today indicate the Sudan court has reversed itself and will free Meriam Ibraham, the pregnant Christian woman jailed and sentenced to be flogged and hanged for her Christian faith. Meriam was later forced to give birth in chains in a Sudanese prison as she awaited a death sentence ad brutal flogging by Muslim officials.

“The appeal court ordered the release of Mariam Yahya [Ibrahim] and the cancellation of the [previous] court ruling,” Sudan’s SUNA news agency said on Monday.

Although reports a couple of weeks ago suggested Meriam would be freed, they turned out to be false. These reports appear more credible and multiple news agencies, including Bloomberg News and the Associated Press are confirming Meriam’s impending release from prison.

As Bloomberg reports:

A Sudanese appeal court ordered the release of Meriam Yehia Ibrahim and canceled the death sentence of the mother who refused to recant her Christian faith, the state-run news agency, Suna, said in a text message.

Sudan’s government said it wouldn’t interfere in the decisions of the judiciary.

Ibrahim on May 27 gave birth to a girl whom she’s caring for in prison along with her 20-month-old son. Under Sudanese law, a pregnant woman can’t be executed until she gives birth and raises the child for two years, according to Amnesty.

Ibrahim’s legal team filed an appeal on May 22, saying the verdict contradicts the country’s 2005 constitution, which guarantees freedom of religion as well as international rights agreements to which Sudan is a signatory.

Ibrahim’s husband, Daniel Wani, has said she was raised as Christian by her Ethiopian mother after her Sudanese Muslim father left when she was six years old.

She was arrested in August after men who said they were from her father’s side of the family reportedly accused her of adultery because of her marriage to a Christian man, Amnesty said.

An apostasy charge was added when she said she was never a Muslim, contradicting the court which considered her as having the same faith as her father. Ibrahim’s marriage was annulled and she was sentenced to 100 lashes for adultery in accordance with Sudan’s interpretation of Islamic law.

Ibrahikm’s lawyer, Elshareef Mohammed, told the Guardian he heard the release announced on Sudanese radio but had no confirmation. He was on his way to the prison, where he was to meet Ibrahim’s husband Daniel Wani, a U.S. citizen.

“I’m going to check if this is true,” Mohammed said.

In an email to LifeNews, Senator Roy Blunt celebrated the news that Ibrahim will no longer face the death sentence and will be freed from captivity in Sudan.

“I am very pleased that the Sudanese court has reportedly cancelled Meriam Ibrahim’s death sentence and ordered her release. Icontinue to urge U.S. officials to work quickly and use all resources available to immediately provide Meriam and her family with safe haven in the United States,” said Blunt.

In an effort to secure Ibrahim’s release, Blunt worked with U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (N.H.) to send a letter on May 16, 2014, urging Secretary of the U.S. Department of State John Kerry to intervene on Ibrahim’s behalf. Blunt and Ayotte also sent a follow-up letter to Kerry and Jeh Johnson, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), on May 21, 2014.

Congressman Chris Smith, chairman of the House Africa and global human rights subcommittee, commented on the release in an email to LifeNews.

“This is a huge first step,” said Smith, who had met with the Sudanese Ambassador to the United States Friday to discuss the Miriam Ibrahim case, after which he canceled a congressional hearing on the case set for tomorrow. “But the second step is that Ms. Ibrahim and her husband and their children be on a plane and heading to the United States.”

Leading pro-life groups rallied in the United States to put pressure on the Obama administration to do more to help Meriam’s release. They held a large rally outside the White House that he and pro-life groups led.

Ibrahim, 26, joined the Catholic Church shortly before she married U.S. citizen Daniel Bicensio Wani in December 2011. Because of that, Catholic Church officials were also speaking up on her behalf.

The Archdiocese of Khartoum has urged the judiciary in Sudan to review her case and overturn the death sentence.

“There are many people trying to persuade Meriam to renounce Christianity in order to be freed, but she is refusing. Some people are pleading with her husband to convince her to abandon Christian faith in order to save her life, but to no avail,” the archdiocese said.

“The Catholic Church — Archdiocese of Khartoum — expresses deep regret over the way the case is being handled in the court,” with disregard of “Meriam’s moral and religious beliefs,” it said.

“We are pleading with the judiciary and other concerned authorities to review the case … and to bring it to a reasonable end,” it said.

Ibrahim was not sentenced to die for her Christian faith for two years, until such a time as her newborn baby girl Maya is weaned, but she could have been flogged within days if her appeal of her death sentence was thrown out. An Idaho man says he is glad he recently obtained a concealed weapons permit after he said he was forced to pull his gun when a man wielding a knife approached him and his two-year-old daughter on Wednesday.

“My daughter and I were parked here and I was standing by the vehicle on the rail,” Anthony Broyles told KREM.

The father and daughter were spending the day together at Lake Coeur d’Alene.

“There was a van that was parked in that direction with two gentlemen sitting in it,” he said.

“I turned around and there was a guy that was sneaking up on me … probably about 15 feet behind me and he asked me if I had any money,” said Broyles, who also told KREM that he thought the man wanted to kidnap his daughter.

“I pushed my daughter back, pulled out my weapon, cocked it and aimed it at him,” said Broyles, whose .380 LCP Ruger forced the man to flee.

“I believe in carrying weapons,” said Broyles, a former Marine who obtained his Idaho concealed weapons permit earlier this year.

“If I didn’t have my pistol today I’m pretty sure I would have been dead,” Broyles said.

Victory and Wake Up Call: Justina Pelletier Gets to Go Home

Hopefully the final chapter in the saga of an epically overstepping governmental entity, the Pelletier family finally gets to be whole again. Justina is going home! The same judge that grabbed her from her parents for no reason other than they refused to kowtow to “those who know better” has finally signed an order returning her to her parents after 16 months of sticking their nose where it never belonged in the first place.

If you hadn’t heard about Justina before, she is a 16 year old that suffers from a rare mitochondrial disease that affects how the cells in her body produce energy. It causes issues with the gut, brain, muscles, and heart. She was diagnosed at Tufts Medical Center and had been under the care of Dr. Mark Korson, chief of metabolism at Tufts. In February of 2013 Justina got the flu and had to be taken to the hospital. They went to Boston Children’s Hospital’s emergency room because Justina’s Tufts gastroenterologist had recently moved there. BCH was told by Justina’s mom Linda that she had this disorder, where she was diagnosed and who was treating her and how. BCH decided it wasn’t the rare disorder, but somatoform, a psychiatric disorder and took her off all of the treatments that Tufts had put in place… without the involvement or examination by her regular doctor, or by Dr. Korson. When her parents tried to discharge Justina to take her to Tufts, BCH called in state and reported them as medical child abusers.

Justina was put in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and was moved to a psychiatric unit at BHC. Her parents were then taken to court to determine if they should lose permanent custody. In January of this year they had custody permanently taken from them. Only because the parents refused to sit by quietly and take it was she ever returned to them. They broke court orders mandating that they not speak to the media and took their fight to the Governor of Massachusetts. Did I mention they weren’t even Massachusetts residents? They live in Connecticut. At the end of it all, the only reason the judge gave for giving her back? She didn’t improve over the 16 months they had her. Guess her doctor and parents were right!

This is just one of thousands of stories of government entities with too much power over the lives of its citizens. Other parents are threatened with the same thing – loss of their parental rights – if they don’t do exactly what the state deems right. Yes, there are hundreds of thousands of cases where the parents are absolutely wrong: abusive or worse. But there are more and more each year where caring, good parents are subject to this kind of treatment because the powers that be don’t agree with the parents’ politics or religion, or they are just uneducated and won’t admit they don’t know what they are talking about, and they step in and wreak havoc. Proof of this here? Justina’s sister has the same disorder. She was never taken from her parents.

How many good parents are subjected to this because they are strong advocates for their children and challenge those who want to harm their kids? In Justina’s case, a social worker and non-specialist medical staff decided that a diagnosis by an expert in the field was wrong. They didn’t even bother to talk with him to find out about it. They got ticked off because her parents tried to do what was best for their daughter, get her back to the doctor who knew how to treat her, and the egotists took matters into their own hands. They grabbed her, dispensed with her parents, and put her life and health at serious risk. And they were WRONG!

I wonder how many children in Boston were left with actual abusive parents, who died in their care, while these idiots demonized the Pelletier parents? How many millions were spent by the state treating a non-existent psychiatric disorder, in a hospital, while harming the child? How many more were spent on the unnecessary court proceedings? If I was a taxpayer in Massachusetts I’d demand answers to all of those questions.

This whole situation was a failure of epic proportions. Doctors did harm. The state sanctioned it. Now parents everywhere must second guess if they should be vocal and strong advocates for their children. Because chances are, if they are they will have something like this happen. Disgusting!

Pro-life Teenager Assaulted by Liberal Abortionist

Pro-life activists operate in a very dangerous world where passion is the primary emotion. Standing up for the unborn who have no voice and are legally murdered every day can be perilous work. The people we stand against often become quite angry when they hear us begging for the lives of their children – it’s hard for them to hear the truth, decide to make an evil decision and then not try and blame us for their shame. But we’re not trying to “shame” them… we’re just trying to save innocent lives.

An example of how dangerous the work of a pro-life activist can be happened recently when a young man in Alabama was admitted to the emergency room after being beat up by pro-choice advocates. His name is Ke’Ontai and he had been handing out Students for Life’s Abortion is not Social Justice Postcards in a local park when a man accosted him and started arguing with him about when life begins.

That’s when things started getting out of hand.

The man began yelling that he and his wife had recently had an abortion because “that’s what they needed to do.” (Which is likely why he was willing to begin yelling at a teen in the park on a sunny afternoon. Guilt can play havoc with our emotions which can make us behave irrationally.) When KeOntai’ realized the guilt that the man (and his wife) were likely dealing with, he switched gears and tried to give the man some post-abortion counseling material. That move sent the man over the edge. He continued yelling at the boy while getting in his face, then he pushed Ke’Ontai down and started punching him in the face repeatedly. Ke’Ontai ended up in the emergency room with a broken nose.

When Lifenews.com asked Ke’Ontai if there was anything they could do for him, his reply showed his character and heart. He said that he had forgiven the man who attacked him, and he hoped that pro-lifers around the country would pray for the man and his wife. Wow!

What a brave and humble young man.

On a greater level, this is exactly the kind of anger and hatred that pro-life activists are up against. We are often portrayed in the media as the ones spitting venom and hatred… but nothing could be further from the truth. We do what we do out of love. For the unborn child and for the parents committing the heinous act. We don’t want anyone to feel the guilt and shame that murdering their own child can bring, nor do we want these innocent lives to be snuffed out simply because they are inconvenient. Children should ALWAYS be seen as a blessing from the very Hand of God. ALWAYS.

A St. Louis couple is likely thankful to have guns in their home after they were forced to use them to defend their daughter against two men Monday night.

The men, one of whom had an extensive rap sheet, confronted the couples’ 17-year-old daughter after she stepped outside of the house to go to her car, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Cortez McClinton, 33, and Terrell Johnson, 31, held a gun to the girl’s head and used her as a shield as they entered the family home, where a five-year old child was also present.

The girl’s father and mother witnessed the abduction, and both retrieved their guns. When McClinton and Johnson entered, the father fired several shots, hitting both men. The girl’s mother fired one shot but missed.

Johnson died at the scene. McClinton was wounded but was able to scramble off. He had his brother take him to the hospital.

In 2010, McClinton was charged with shooting another man. Charges were eventually dropped due to lack of witness participation. He also had drug possession and distribution charges against him.

McClinton is charged with second-degree murder, kidnapping, burglary and criminal armed action and is being held on $1 million bond.

A shocking new video Live Action released today catches the Planned Parenthood abortion business teaching teenagers about S&M-based sexual relationships and concepts such as gagging, whipping and asphyxiation.

In a series of undercover audits, Live Action investigators documented Planned Parenthood counselors and nurses advising our investigators, who the Planned Parenthood staffers thought were minors, on how to practice torture sex.

In the videos, Planned Parenthood counselors encourage undercover investigators posting as 15 and 16-year-old teens, to engage in the sadomasochistic practices, telling the underage teens “if it’s consensual, it’s OK… it’s totally OK.”

“What we’re about to release shows a systemic, institutional problem in America’s largest abortion corporation,” Lila Rose, Live Action’s president, stated. “It’s not a matter of ‘don’t judge,’ but rather explicit endorsement of violent and harmful sexual practices to boys and girls as young as fifteen years old.”

The group complains: “Planned Parenthood consistently fights any law requiring parental consent or involvement for minors seeking sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions. PP’s website encourages teens to circumvent their parents and the law.”

“Taxpayers, and especially parents, need to know where their money is going,” Rose said. “This funding is not optional – it’s a compulsory, government-enforced extraction going toward extremely questionable programs and dangerous advice for our nation’s teens.”

Rose expects Live Action’s upcoming investigative releases to serve as “a wake-up call for America’s parents.” “This is not a partisan issue. Whether people are liberal or conservative, or even whether they’re pro-life or pro-choice, I think we’re going to see a lot of common ground in the outrage over what we’re about to show people.”

Planned Parenthood of Hudson Peconic sponsored a training seminar, designed for educators of teenagers, titled “50 Shades of Safe.” The seminar offered workshops/classes on “how a BDSM relationship is successfully navigated between sexual partners” and on the “elements of a healthy BDSM relationship.”

The official Planned Parenthood website lists BD (bondage and discipline) and SM (sadomasochism) under its Sex & Sexuality – “Understanding Sexual Activity — at a Glance” page without any warnings or safety objections: “Here are some examples of less common sexual behaviors: SM (sadomasochism) — the use of domination and/or pain for sexual arousal. BD (bondage and discipline) — sexual role play that includes elements of SM.”

Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million a year from taxpayers, in the name of so-called sex education and health. Furthermore, under ObamaCare, Planned Parenthood has announced that it will receive undisclosed funds through the $75-million-a-year PREP (Personal Responsibility and Education Program), with 15 affiliates already having received grants.

Planned Parenthood’s stance on what kind of sexual activity is good or not: “Just because a sexual behavior isn’t common or some people disapprove of it or the reasons people enjoy it, doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with it. Many people enjoy less common kinds of sex, but they are often less likely to discuss it with others. One way to think about uncommon kinds of sex is this: if no one is hurt by the kind of sex someone might enjoy, than [sic] it is probably okay.”

Planned Parenthood equates unrestricted sexual activity with “freedom, equality and dignity” according to their “Declaration of Sexual Rights.” Abortions and hormone drugs are listed as entitlements that contribute to “the freedom, equality and dignity of all people” – including teens and children.

Planned Parenthood covers up the sexual abuse of young girls by offering them clandestine sexual and reproductive health care, including abortions, and coaching these young ladies on how to keep the activity secret from their parents.

Natalie Gatto, also known as Miss Pennsylvania, just competed in the Miss USA pageant this past Sunday night. In an interview with TODAY.com, she opens up about being conceived in rape but having a God-given purpose nonetheless. According to The Daily Signal:

Gatto’s mother originally hid the pregnancy from her family and intended on putting her up for adoption, but was dissuaded the night Gatto was born.

“Valerie’s mom told her family about her adoption plans,” Gatto’s biography reads. “But Valerie’s great-grandmother said – God doesn’t give you more than you can handle. Her mother listened and decided to raise Valerie with the help of God and her family.”

“I believe God put me here for a reason,” Gatto told TODAY.com. “To inspire people, to encourage them, to give them hope that everything is possible and you can’t let your circumstances define your life.”

There is a lot of controversy surrounding abortion in the case of rape, even among people who say that they hold views that are against abortion.

When we see stories like this, of people like Valerie Gatto who were conceived in rape, it makes you wonder about who else might have made a difference in our world yet was not given the same chance at life.

Gatto’s mother was an extremely courageous woman to make a decision to carry her baby to term. It is one amazing feat to rise above the trauma of rape and move on with life, but it is a heroic thing in itself to rise above that trauma along with the new challenge of becoming a single mother.

In choosing to give life to Valerie, she now has a daughter that has a major platform through her accomplishments in pageantry to speak out about sexual assault and to help other women.

Valerie Gatto proves the point that each life has value, despite the circumstances surrounding the conception of that life.

The baby was discovered by a woman walking her dogs in northwest Harris County when the animals became interested in a Wal-Mart bag on the perimeter of the Stonegate Villas Apartments. About 3 inches of the child’s umbilical cord was still attached.

She was a distinct infant – born with one bottom tooth – who weighed 4 pounds and 12 ounces. Medical officials determined that she was a late preterm baby delivered at 36 to 37 weeks’ gestation. She was named Chloe by the Texas Children’s Hospital staff.

“She was perfectly healthy,” Olguin said. “No injuries, no health issues. No hypothermia. She was out there in February. She didn’t suffer any consequences from being left out in the elements.”

A few people were tested for a DNA match to the child, “but we didn’t come up with any leads,” Olguin said.”

Little Thing:

Little Thing? He or She is not a little THING. He’s a little PERSON. She could have said “Little One” and that would have been ok but to say “Little Thing”? That’s demeaning.

I can feel you in there. I’ve got twice the appetite and half the energy. It breaks my heart that I don’t feel the enchantment that I’m supposed to feel. I am both sorry and not sorry.

Oh goodness. My heart just breaks for her. Not. Just because she doesn’t feel happy about being a mother this is going to cause her to murder her child? I’ll take him/her. I’d love to be a parent.

Bullcrap. This is all about you. The first word in the body of your letter is I. People put the most important ideas first in letters and speeches.

I want the best things for the future.

Thank you for proving my point that it is all about you. If you truly wanted the best things for the future, you’d give this child a future with parents that would love him/her to infinity.

That’s why I can’t be your mother right now.

As if there’s no other choice between raising the child yourself or abortion. There are women, like me, that are ready and we would do anything legal and moral to take your child and love them as if we gave birth to him/her.

I am still growing myself.

Obviously, because you are making a very immature decision. “I’m not ready for you. So I’m going to kill you and go on with my life and when I’m ready magically the same child will be in my tummy.” Not going to happen.

It wouldn’t be fair to bring a new life into a world where I am still haunted by ghosts of the life I’ve lived.

So every parent in the world had a perfect past? If you think that you are obviously, you are very immature. Actually what it is is you are trying to justify murdering your child. And talk about being haunted by ghosts, MANY women who have had abortions totally regret it.

I want you to have all the things I didn’t have when I was a child.

I want you to be better than I ever was and more magnificent than I ever could be.

So again, your solution is to kill your child? The ONLY way that what you say you want to happen will actually happen is if that child LIVES. Give that child up for adoption if really want him/her to be “better than I ever was and more magnificent than I ever could be.”

I love you, Little Thing, and I wish the circumstances were different.

Then make the circumstances different. Have the child and give him/her up for adoption. That’s a win-win-win for everyone. You get to go on and have the life you want. A child gets to live life. A couple gets to become a family.

I promise I will see you again, and next time, you can call me Mom.
