Chuck Norris Dropkicks Democrat Talking Points, Endorses THIS Savvy Solution…

Written by Wes Walker on January 11, 2019

Oh, ChuckandNancy (Chancy?) want MEXICO to pay for it? They are going to LOVE this!

For decades now, we’ve seen Democrats with their political double-speak. They’re like Lucie holding the football for Charlie Brown, making bold assurances of one thing, and pulling the ball away when it comes time to make good on it.

Little things… like pledging to tighten security AFTER Republicans give ground on Democrat pet policy initiatives.

You didn’t really think they’d keep their end of the bargain, did you? Sure, the Secure Fence Act of 2006 put $50B into building a double-fence border barrier. But there was no real political will to actually proceed with using that money for the intended purpose.

Three years later, Chuck was still telling us how important that wall was, and how big a problem illegal aliens are for America generally. We should know, we’ve got the video.

But now, with the Partial Shutdown into its third week, and with the talks between Congress and the White House grinding to a halt, Chuck Norris and Ted Cruz coming to the rescue.

Norris drew attention to a piece of legislation that was just re-introduced into the Senate by Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz that would use the seized funds of convicted drug cartel overlords for border security and border wall construction.

Cruz cleverly named his bill the “Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order Act — or EL CHAPO Act — named for the arrested kingpin of the Mexico-based Sinaloa drug cartel, Joaquin Archivaldo “El Chapo” Guzman Lorea, from whom roughly $14 billion has been seized and would be forfeited if El Chapo is convicted.
…“If you didn’t know, El Chapo is almost entirely responsible for the majority of drugs that come up through the U.S. southern border. As the co-founder and head of the Sinaloa Cartel, he is the #1 supplier of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines into the U.S. If you or your loved ones have ever tried or been addicted to illegal drugs, odds are they originated from the Sinaloa Cartel.”

Norris proceeded to cite several examples of how widely the Sinaloa’s drug trafficking network operated inside the U.S., as well as the vast accumulation of wealth the cartel has received in illicit drug money, and how the estimated $14 billion that would be forfeited upon El Chapo’s conviction would be more than enough to cover the construction of a border wall where necessary.

“Is Sen. Cruz’s EL CHAPO Act not a brilliant idea to fund the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico? And guess what? A Mexican pays for it after all — one evil hombre who has repeatedly raped America’s communities and the souls of precious millions through narcotics and other criminalities for the past three decades,” wrote Norris.

Fourteen Billion would build a pretty good chunk of that wall, wouldn’t it? And isn’t El Chapo even from … Mexico?

That would certainly qualify as ‘Promises kept’, Mr. President!

Unlike the ridiculously-named ‘Affordable Care Act’ or other bills we’ve seen in the past, the name on this one even says what it really means. Bonus points for working El Chapo into an acronym.

This seems like it should be a slam dunk, doesn’t it?

On what possible grounds would Democrats object to using drug smuggler money to fund a secure border?

This even strips ‘Chancy’ of usual go-to talking points:

— it’s waste of taxpayer money

— he promised Mexico would pay for it.

If this passes, America wins twice over.

Taxpayers shoulder less of the financial burden of protecting against criminal syndicates looking to exploit America’s wealth.

And, as Drug Smugglers get convicted, their money goes back to protecting our border which ALSO allows other assets to be redeployed to ports of entry, reducing contraband illegally entering the nation.

Why would they possibly oppose it?

Alabama’s attorney general urged Congress Friday to support the state’s push for the Census not to count undocumented immigrants when deciding the number of congressional seats for each state.

Steve Marshall, who recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of the state, said Alabama stands to lose one of seven congressional seats and one of its nine electoral votes if undocumented immigrants aren’t excluded from the apportionment process.

Could it be to disenfranchise states in Flyover Country, and centralize more clout in States who have no regard for the rule of law?

Is That what Palmieri’s memo really meant?

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” the memo read.

It finished, “If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond.”

We The People wanted a ‘new sheriff’ in town to change the direction the nation was taking and put the DC swamp rats in their place. So we elected one.

He’s made some solid progress already. Massively cutting Red Tape, and cutting taxes was a good start. Breaking the back of ISIS and bringing our trade partners to the table, was good too.

But there’s still plenty of work to be done in setting things straight in Washington.

And Trump is exactly the right guy for the job.

Dear CNN: Dems Fund These Ridiculous Things But Not The Border Wall — Is That News?

Written by Wes Walker on January 11, 2019

Democrats ‘tough stand’ against the wall pretends to be about protecting us from Trump’s needless wasteful spending. We’re calling BS on that one.

You need look no further than ‘Citizens against Government waste‘.

With Trump asking for between $5 and $6 Billion to get started on our big beautiful wall, it’s helpful to see what other government projects already approved seem to think that was justifiable. Notice these amounts are higher than the amount wanted for the wall.

Here’s a small sampling of a longer list.

“Rural Utility Service.” This program costs taxpayers $8.2 billion/year and has no actual purpose after its original intent — bringing electricity to rural communities — was long ago achieved. It’s now being used to bring broadband access to small communities (usually with populations of less than 20,000). However there’s no indication the “beneficiaries” of this expensive government agency actually appreciate the program and the majority of its projects are not completed on time or within budget.
Sugar Subsidies. America, as Democrats frequently intone, faces a health crisis. What they don’t tell us is that it’s largely of their own making, as Congress subsidizes the production of unhealthy foods like sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Eliminating sugar subsidies alone would save $6 billion, enough to fund the border wall; it would also have the added benefit of helping curb the nation’s obesity epidemic.
The United Nations. As the United Nation’s largest contributor, the U.S. in 2016 donated $10 billion to the U.N. As CAGW notes, reducing these contributions just 25 percent would create a savings of $12.5 billion over 10 years. Of the money Congress appropriates for the United Nations, 5 million taxpayer dollars are itemized for abortions in foreign countries.
Waste, Fraud, and Abuse. The Government Accountability Office estimates taxpayers are spending more than $137 billion annually on “payment errors,” which covers all manner of waste, fraud, and abuse within Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The feds could implement the same kind of fraud protections credit card companies used to ensure against abuse, but don’t. In fact, Congress has gone in the opposite direction, winding down the program intended to police fraud within Medicare, the so-called Recovery Audit Contractor. In other words, Congress is knowingly funding tens of billions of dollars of fraud annually.

One Twitter user had a list of his own:

Fair warning, this gets really weird, really fast.

Weirder than ‘genital washing’? and seven figures worth of World of Warcraft? Sure. Maybe. Judge for yourself.

Vacant buildings… pancakes… hipster smoking parties… Twilight novels… college drinking… dead employees… pottery classes…

Sure, that all seems like a perfectly legitimate use of tax dollars.

Video games fighting obesity? There’s an idea that couldn’t possibly fail.

A quarter of a BILLION training SIXTY SYRIAN REBELS? That seems … a little high.

Robot squirrel… First Class airfare… rabbit massages… EPA-made mess… Obese lesbians… fighting shrimp… religious sites…

Robot Squirrels and lardy lesbians??

Really?

Great job holding that line on Waste, Nancy — wouldn’t want to piss taxpayer money away on anything as nonsensical as the fulfillment of a promise everyone signed off on back in ’06.

Another Leftist Wet Dream DYING in 2019

Authored By Kevin Jackson |

Leftists believe that everybody born deserves a living, even if they don’t support themselves. After all, none of us asked to be born, right!? So what you squander your life, you still deserve to have somebody provide for you. Isn’t that the humane thing to do for people?

That’s what many on the Left have told us. But their cure for life appears to be on its deathbed.

As Technocracy News reports,

Silicon Valley loves the idea of universal basic income. Many in the tech elites tout it as the answer to job losses caused by automation, if only people would give it a chance.

The idea is that all citizens receive a set amount of money from the government to cover food, housing, and clothing, without regard to income or employment status. This minimum stipend can be supplemented with wages from work. Advocates say it will help fight poverty by giving people the flexibility to find work and strengthen their safety net, or that it offers a way to support people who might be negatively affected by automation.

Automation? How does automation negatively affect somebody? That’s like saying the remote control put TV-channel-changers out of work.

Automation is technological advancement. That means, mankind advances. How many people did the computer put to work? Here’s one answer.

If you’re looking for a college major that gives you an incredible job outlook, we have two words for you: computer science.

There are almost 10 times more US computing jobs open right now than there were students who graduated with computer science degrees in 2015.

(…)

The Obama White House predicted that by 2020, there would be 1.4 million computer-science-related jobs available, and only about 400,000 computer science graduates who have the skills necessary to apply for those jobs. Keep in mind these are just “open” jobs. What about the many that have been filled? Further, what about the jobs that will be created as time continues- the illusive “new jobs.” And we are only talking about the United States.

So millions of computer-related jobs have been created. And try to imagine doing your job without the help of a computer, or the software that runs it. Excel, Word, the accounting package your company uses, and so on. The amount of time saved in man-hours is incalculable. Further, the computer exploded the career choices of many. Graphic artists, writers, audio-visual, etc. People don’t even need to be creative as they can sell (or resell) on eBay, or earn money from a blog.

In short, millions of people need to contribute nothing to the world, and yet can still make a living. However, there are Leftists losers who still want something for nothing mandated by the government.

The idea of universal basic income seem to be falling flat, however.

The article continues,

Back in June we declared, “Basic income could work—if you do it Canada style.” We talked to the people on the ground getting the checks in Ontario’s 4,000-person test and saw how it was changing the community. Then, just two months later, it was announced that the program is ending in the new year rather than running for three years. The last checks will be delivered to participants in March 2019.

We’ve been waiting for basic-income data for a while. In 2016, MIT Technology Review predicted that “in 2017, we will find out if basic income makes sense.” There were two main tests we were waiting on. First there was Finland’s promising basic-income program, which received a lot of hype when it was launched in 2017. Then, in 2018, it was revealed that the program would not yet be extended beyond its original trial period. Another experiment, from tech incubator Y Combinator, has also faced more delays, pushing the experiment into 2019.

The experiment has been delayed by the Trump Effect.

The election of Donald Trump stirred the souls of many. People who were previously idle got jobs. Most got real jobs, and not the menial jobs of the Obama era. Others became entrepreneurs. Their creative juices flowing, they now invent and hope to become the next new idea billionaire.

Human nature detests dependency on another. One can be trained to accept nothing but charity, but soon that charity becomes entitlement. Let’s hope the Trump Era restores sanity to the idiots who wish to change man’s innate nature.

Sheila Jackson Lee Says the Unthinkable About Killing of Black Girl by Black Man

Reported By Benjamin Arie | January 10, 2019 at 6:28am

A tragic death that was wrongly held up as a racial attack has forced many on the left to quickly backpedal, but a Democrat congresswoman is bizarrely doubling-down on her inflammatory rhetoric.

Back on Dec. 30, a 7-year-old girl named Jazmine Barnes was shot and killed in Houston. Barnes was black, a fact that should not matter but quickly became a major factor in the case. At first, authorities thought a white man may have been involved in the crime. They posted details about a person of interest in the case, but made it clear that this was only one of several angles they were looking into.

As it turns out, two men have been arrested in the case and charged with capital murder in Jazmine’s death, according to USA Today. Both men are black, and authorities now think the killing was a case of mistaken identity.

The first arrest was announced Sunday. The second on Tuesday. But before those arrests were made, and apparently eager to push a specific narrative, voices including “social justice” activist Shaun King used online platforms to openly declare that a racist white man had murdered the black girl, despite the fact that this was nothing but speculation.

“A 40 y/o white man w/ a beard … pulled up on 7 y/o Jazmine Barnes and her family near a Houston Walmart and shot and killed her,” King posted on Jan. 1 to over a million followers from his verified Twitter account.

Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee quickly jumped into the fray. During a news conference on Friday, she declared that the girl had been the target of a racially motivated hate crime.

“I believe – and having written hate crime legislation, knowing the criteria, I believe that this should be looked at as a hate crime,” the outspoken liberal declared. “We don’t want to have on the street someone who is willing to kill children and possibly kill them in the name of hate.”

She said similar things the next day, saying “do not be afraid to call this what it seems to be — a hate crime,” according to ABC News and The New York Times.

An attorney working with Barnes’ family echoed the same theme, and seemed to blame the girl’s tragic death on widespread racism in America. “(W)e do believe that (the killing) was racially motivated in part because our nation at this moment is highly racially charged,” he declared, according to Fox News.

That narrative, of course, quickly fell apart with the arrests of the first black suspect.

Incredibly, however, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee refused to acknowledge that she may have wrongly rushed to call the incident a hate crime and essentially pin it on white America — when a black man has reportedly confessed to the killing.

“Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, when asked Sunday by a reporter about some of the comments made in the aftermath of the young girl’s death in Houston on Dec. 30, said it was ‘absolutely not’ irresponsible to make that suggestion,” Fox News reported.

“(N)othing is irresponsible when it comes to the loss of a precious 7- or 8-year old,” the Democrat pushed back.

Nobody disputes that the girl’s death was tragic and senseless, but for a sitting congresswoman to say that “nothing is irresponsible” when pushing potentially inflammatory narratives about a matter of life and death is an appalling statement.

Really, nothing is irresponsible, ever? What she’s essentially saying is that the ends always justify the means, at least when a victim happens to be a certain race.

What if a man had been wrongly linked to a crime he didn’t commit because people like Jackson Lee refused to wait before all the facts had come in? What if people incorrectly believed that racism was behind the girl’s death, and a wedge of hate between Americans was driven even further?

The fact of the matter is that yes, there is a point where this is very irresponsible. When someone is killed, what they and their families deserve is calm and clear-eyed justice, not widespread speculation and race-baiting.

Jumping to the wrong conclusions and making everything about race — facts be damned — is exactly how shameful lynchings used to happen in our country’s darker times. That was deeply wrong then, and would be just as wrong now even if the skin colors involved were switched.

We need less inflammatory rhetoric, not more. We need the patience to wait for facts, not a rush to push narratives over reality. Yet liberals like Jackson Lee seem to view everything through the lens of racism, even when it’s not there.

That’s sad … and if she truly wants a better America for all races, she should acknowledge that her words sowed seeds of division, and think carefully before fanning racial flames. We can all be better than that.

Interfaith dialogue a ‘Trojan horse’ within evangelicalism

Authored by J.M. Phelps (OneNewsNow.com) | Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Bible in lap (black-and-white)A Christian filmmaker says by defending faith, family, and freedoms, and exposing Islam and communism, American evangelicals are performing a service that is “vital to national security” – and interfaith dialogue, he argues, is the greatest threat to evangelicals.

Evangelical Christians in the U.S. are under attack by Islamists and Marxists, says Brannon Howse, founder of Worldview Weekend, because they are “the only real obstacles [to America] being completely overtaken” by those groups. When the Judeo-Christian ethic of America falters, he affirms, “we are done as a constitutional republic,” because it is Christian faith which promotes the defense of a constitutional republic based on a Judeo-Christian worldview.

Howse also declares the greatest threat to evangelicals, specifically, is interfaith dialogue. An egregious example of that, he says, came from the words of Sayyid Qutb – the late Muslim Brotherhood leader – who declared that “interfaith dialogue is a one-way bridge to bring the non-Muslim to the side of the Muslim – not the other way around.”

Islamists aren’t the only ones who use that tactic, says Howse.

“Interfaith dialogue is [also] being promoted by Marxist groups like the Gamaliel Network,” he tells OneNewsNow. The Gamaliel Network can be found in over 17 states and was “expanded greatly” in the 1980s, says Howse, by a former Jesuit priest by the name of Gregory Galluzzo. He notes Galluzzo studied under Saul Alinsky and helped to bring Barack Obama to Chicago to be a community organizer.

deception red markerHowse emphasizes that the Gamaliel Network promotes interfaith dialogue because “they understand the importance of what Karl Marx, the father of communism understood.” He understood “the Hegelian dialectic process – pitting opposites against each other so there can be a merging or a synthesis – and that’s exactly what Saul Alinsky taught” Galluzzo to do.

Alinsky taught that “change comes from the conflict,” Howse continues.

“You get people to conflict; you get them to have chaos,” he explains – then they “tire of the conflict [and become] “willing compromise to have unity and to have peace, so everybody can get along.”

Having learned that tactic from Alinsky, Galluzzo then expanded the Gamaliel Network by using “Christian terms and Christian names” and “twisting Scripture” to create confusion amongst evangelicals.

“So, the greatest threat right now facing evangelical Christians,” Howse believes, “is interfaith dialogue coming at us from both the Marxists and Islamists.”

And that, says Howse, is the reason he produced the new six-hour documentary Sabotage. “[The film] is all about understanding how the Islamists, the Marxists, and their useful idiots are destroying America from within,” he adds.

Sadly, says Howse, “some of these useful idiots are coming from inside evangelicalism – [from those] who don’t understand either Islam nor do they understand Marxism.” In which case, he continues, they suggest the “things we’re promoting [are] conspiracy. [But] their ignorance doesn’t make me a conspiracy theorist; it just makes them ignorant [to the facts].”

Howse accurately paraphrases the words of evangelist Vance Havner, who said: “The devil is not fighting religion …. He is producing a counterfeit Christianity, so much like the real one that good Christians are afraid to speak out against it.”

“And that’s what we have today with so-called Christian useful idiots giving way to social justice, a social gospel, white privilege, reparation, and interfaith dialogue,” Howse concludes. “This is how you destroy a nation from within: with a Trojan horse.”

Dem leaders witness push for new Red revolution

Authored by Chad Groening, Billy Davis (OneNewsNow.com) | Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Ocasio-Cortez on "60 Minutes"The newest faces of the Democratic Party suggest the party’s love affair with far-left politics is gaining momentum, angering their leaders, and turning off the public, says a public policy analyst.

The swearing-in of congressional lawmakers made national headlines last week, most notably since Rep. Nancy Pelosi was handed the gavel after Democrats made huge gains in November’s election and wrestled control of the House of Representatives from Republicans.

What do you suspect Dem leaders are saying to ambitious new lawmakers behind closed doors? (Choose up to two)
‘Baby steps, it takes baby steps’‘Cuba is our model, too’‘Stay on message please’‘Tell me again: what are your committee assignments?’‘Trump is the enemy’‘Yeah, we’re gonna impeach him’

But it was the fresh faces in Congress that made the most news, such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the 29-year-old Democrat who is making history as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She is also an avowed socialist and in recent days touted her “Green New Deal” that includes a whopping 70-percent top tax rate on the wealthiest Americans to finance a move from fossil fuels to renewable energy within 10 years.

gasoline pumpsNot only does the “Green New Deal” plan to move the U.S. from gas and oil, writes Rich Lowry, quoting from draft legislation, it also promises to tackle gender inequality, deliver a “basic income,” and provide “universal health care.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American elected to Congress, made headlines over the foul language she used — she dropped the raunchiest of swear words — when she addressed a raucous crowd of far-left activists. It was also not lost on the public that Tlaib also promised to impeach President Trump in that speech, a plan that excites the Far Left at the same time Pelosi and other leaders claim impeachment is not in their plans. Tlaib also made headlines for another reason: a wall map in her new congressional office was altered with a note denoting non-existent “Palestine” over the current country of Israel.

Hamilton

“The thing that is concerning to me,” observes Abe Hamilton of the American Family Association, “is we literally now have a major national political party that is openly become a socialist party. That should be concerning to all Americans because that is where we are.”

Writing at conservative website RedState, Joe Cunningham advises the political whispering in D.C. is that Pelosi and Schumer are “furious” that the freshman Democrats are “stealing the spotlight” then doing “dumb things” with the publicity they’re enjoying.

The leaders were particularly angry with Ocasio-Cortez for her “60 Minutes” interview, when she claimed she was “morally right” after being confronted over her “fuzzy math” about government spending, according to Cunningham.

Democratic Socialists of America“This is a larger problem for the Democrats,” Cunningham observes. “They were happy to sit back and laugh as Republicans fought amongst themselves during the Obama years, but now they find themselves in the middle of their own Tea Party moment – one which they can thank Bernie Sanders for.”

Hamilton tells OneNewsNow the far-left agenda on display in the nation’s capital does not play well with mainstream America.

CNN praises NY Dem socialist“The 2016 election revealed that the Democrat Party had become a coastal and regional party — it was no longer a national party,” he observes. “And I think that rings true still today, when you have these extreme elements who’ve gained control and momentum within the Democrat Party. They will soon learn that the American people are not on board with the radical socialist agenda.”

In his concluding words in the RedState commentary, Cunningham predicts that powerful Democratic leaders are now fighting with ambitous progressives for the future direction of the party.

GOP Congressional Members Introduce Constitutional Amendment To Enact Term Limits

Authored By C. Douglas Golden | January 5, 2019 at 2:13pm

A new bill from two top Republicans would limit most people to 18 years in Congress via a constitutional amendment — something that’s bound to have career bureaucrats infuriated.

The amendment, according to CNN, is being introduced in the House and Senate by Rep. Francis Rooney of Florida and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, respectively.

“For too long, members of Congress have abused their power and ignored the will of the American people,” Cruz said.

Term limits on members of Congress offer a solution to the brokenness we see in Washington, D.C. It is long past time for Congress to hold itself accountable. I urge my colleagues to submit this constitutional amendment to the states for speedy ratification.”

Cruz had introduced a similar bill in 2017, but failed to gain traction.

The plan would limit House members to three terms of two years each and senators to two terms of six years each. This means that most people would be limited to 18 years in office, and only if they are elected to one office and then the other.

The language makes it technically possible to serve up to slightly less than 22 years if they’re appointed or elected to fill less than a half-term.

This, according to Rooney, is closer to what the nation’s founders envisioned.

“The founders never envisioned a professional political class,” Rooney said during an interview on Fox News Saturday.

“This is a much better way than having these entrenched politicians who are too aligned with special interests over a period of years. I would say 18 years is plenty of time to serve your country in.”

Neither Cruz nor Rooney would really be benefiting from the arrangement, should any politician be seen as having benefited personally from term limits. Rooney, 65, was first elected in 2016 and would be eligible to serve in the House until 2022. Cruz, who just won his second term, would be out of Congress in 2024.

It’s worth noting, however, that Rooney could possibly take over for Sen. Marco Rubio, who would be term-limited out if he won the Republican nomination. (Lest you think Rubio would be upset about it, consider that he’s a co-sponsor of the bill — along with Mike Lee of Utah and David Perdue of Georgia.)

And Cruz, who came to the Senate from a position as Texas’ solicitor general, could also technically run for the House if he so chose.

Incidentally, if you think that the bill can’t win bipartisan support, consider there was another major Democratic voice calling for term limits this election cycle: Beto O’Rourke, Cruz’s opponent.

“People in Texas and across the country recognize that members of Congress often focus on re-election at the expense of addressing the challenges our country faces,” O’Rourke said in a piece posted to Medium.

“We see that the longer you serve in Congress, the less connected, the less responsive, the less accountable you can become to the people you represent. And we recognize that imposing term limits on members of Congress — along with getting PAC money out of our politics and putting an end to gerrymandering — will help breathe new life and new ideas into our democracy.”

If even Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke can come together on something, maybe Congress can, too.

Mehlman: Border wall really barrier to Dems’ dreams

Reported by Chad Groening (OneNewsNow.com) | Monday, January 7, 2018

U.S.-Mexico border fence (new)

Technology is helpful to detect and arrest illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, says an advocate for immigration enforcement, but it cannot replace physical barriers that stop their progress.

As the partial government shutdown continues into a third week, both President Donald Trump and Democratic leaders are digging in their heels over funding a border wall, a key promise of Trump’s 2016 campaign but a boogey man to Democrats who want to stop him from achieving that goal.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have claimed they support night vision cameras and sensors along the border rather than a physical barrier.

“We favor smart, effective border security,” Schumer has said, “not a medieval wall.”

Pelosi, meanwhile, made headlines in recent weeks by calling a border wall “immoral” then, in past days, described it as an “immorality between countries.”

Republicans, however, have pointed out that liberal Democrats voted for a 2006 bill that poured millions into a border fence, and talk radio and Twitter have been asking if supporting that border fence was an “immoral” vote, too.

Meanwhile, footage of Schumer defending U.S. sovereignty and referring to illegals as “illegal aliens” — now considered a derogatory term to far-left activists — has materialized as well as the border battle heats up.

Ira Mehlman, a spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says Democrats object to a wall

Mehlman

because it clashes with their progressive vision of an open border. Their claims to push technology are suspect, he says, because those measures fail to keep illegals from stepping onto U.S. property.

“A wall actually does,” he insists. “And we’ve seen evidence of that around San Diego with the caravan that came up from Central America. Most of the people remained on the other side of the border because there is a wall there.”

Oval Office fight

Mehlman likens the idea of technology to a home security system but says a border barrier is much like an old-fashioned lock on the door.

“If you had to choose between locks on the doors and windows, and censors on the doors and windows,” he observes, “I think most people would choose the locks.”

What any new border barrier will look like, if it ever happens, is up in the air: Trump has stated in recent days that steel fencing — “steel slat barriers” — would be suitable, and that idea is being mocked by Democrats over his campaign promise of a concrete wall.

According to The Daily Caller, however, Trump is listening to the advice of Border Patrol leaders who have shown him prototypes of border structures. The most suitable structure depends on the terrain, flooding, and if the area if a favorite for illegal entry, the story explained.

As far as the Democrats mocking the idea of a wall, Mehlman says walls might be a medieval idea but they have worked for thousands of years.

“The wheel’s been around for a long time but it works,” he says, “and so does the wall.”

What can a Christian do when up is down, right is wrong, and boys are girls?

Reported by Peter Heck – Guest Columnist | http://www.peterheck.com | Friday, January 4, 2019

Peter HeckGod’s message to us today is the same as it was to those living in the equally depraved culture of Rome: don’t conform.

The Apostle Paul’s letter to the Christians in Rome begins with an indictment of the corruption surrounding them that is chilling in its parallels to contemporary American society. If you doubt me, go read Romans 1, verses 21 through 32, and just try to pretend it isn’t as though Paul is writing a response to our front-page headlines.

Do you agree that today’s culture mirrors Apostle Paul’s letter to Christians in Rome?
Yes, the times are dark and evilYes, and that’s OK with meNo, that’s a stretchNo, but it could happenI’m not sure

I find myself being drawn back to this passage nearly every time I go to write on the most recent pop culture trend or societal debacle brought on by Orwellian-named progressivism. For instance, this tweet from the New York City Mayor’s Office:

“To all trans and non-binary New Yorkers: We see you, hear you, and respect you. Starting in 2019, all New Yorkers will be able to change their gender on their birth certificate to M, F or X – without a doctor’s note.”

This utter confusion is celebrated – actually celebrated – by a significant portion of our population. How can seemingly rational people be so willfully blind to the absurdity of something like this? How can anyone think this is actually a sound or sensical idea? How can anyone not clearly see the chaos and calamity this kind of rebellion towards science and reason will bring to our society?

Romans (Book of)There’s only one answer to those questions, and Paul wrote it a couple thousand years ago: “Just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.” (Romans 1:28)

I’ve written before, God is (obviously) the author and foundation of all science, logic, reason, and morality. So when you rebel against God and His moral order – as American society has gleefully chosen to do – you necessarily rebel against all science, logic, reason, and morality. Up becomes down, right becomes wrong, regressive becomes progressive, boy becomes girl.

The curse is perhaps most visible amongst institutions and bodies of supposed scholars; academia and all those who take pride in their intellects are the most beclowned by their submission to the backward spirit of the age. Take, as but one example:

“America’s second oldest women-only college has announced it will begin accepting admission applications from some trans-identified candidates, explaining that the school has ‘expanded its definition of womanhood.’

“In a statement, Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, announced that it will be admitting male students who identify as women — but will exclude women who identify as men — beginning in the fall of 2019.”

Make sure you follow this intellectually stunted policy: those who call themselves girls but who are actually boys will be permitted into an all-girls school; those who call themselves boys but who are actually girls will NOT be permitted into an all-girls school.

This is a college. The people making these decisions and applauding them are those with advanced degrees. Once again, that Pharisee-turned-Christian missionary named Paul nailed it two millennia ago: “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

Paul was writing these words to his fellow believers in Christ, warning them not to succumb to the stupidity that surrounded them. No doubt his warning was prompted by the knowledge that several wearing the name of Jesus were being sucked into the cultural bile that surrounded them. There’s a lesson there for us too. I note that Jim Wallis, who wears the name of Jesus and leads a pseudo-Christian organization today dubbed “Sojourners” liked the decision of Stephens College to embrace sexual immorality on campus.

The message to God’s elect today is no different than it was to those living in the equally depraved culture of Rome: don’t conform. Yes, there will be the Jim Wallis’s around you who do and who at first beckon you to join, then in guilt condemn you as bigoted for your refusal to.

But your trust is to remain in God, your allegiance to His truth, your focus in His word, and your commitment to Him as your only reliable foundation for science, reason, and morality. Once you’ve been faithful in those ways, then pick up a megaphone and tell that truth to a lost and dying generation no matter what they say of you.

Immigrants turn Orange County blue in 4 decades

Reported by Michael F. Haverluck (OneNewsNow.com) | Thursday, January 3, 2019

CA immigration marchIn just 40 years, an immigration explosion has turned California’s Orange County – formerly a predominantly red Los Angeles urban sprawl area – into a new blue stronghold for Democratic candidates.

“The Democratic capture of four Republican-held congressional seats in Orange County in November – more than half the seven congressional seats Democrats won from Republicans in California – toppled what had long been a fortress of conservative Republicanism,” The New York Times reported in an article titled, “In Orange County, a Republican Fortress Turns Democratic.”  “The sweep stunned party leaders – among them Paul D. Ryan, the outgoing House speaker. Even Gavin Newsom, the Democratic governor-elect of California, won the county where Richard M. Nixon was born.”

Foreign makeover

The longtime conservative suburban haven no longer resembles what it looked like in decades past.

“To appreciate the vast cultural and political upheaval across Orange County over the last 40 years, look no further than Bolsa Avenue,” The New York Times’ Adam Nagourney and Robert Gebeloff explained. “The auto body shop, the tax preparer, a church, a food market, countless restaurants – all are marked by signs written in Vietnamese … or head seven miles west to Santa Ana, where Vietnamese makes way for Spanish along Calle Cuatro – a bustling enclave of stores and sidewalk stands serving an overwhelming Latino clientele.”

With California becoming a “sanctuary state” a year ago – not long after San Francisco became a “sanctuary city,” the embrace of Democratic pro-immigration policies by leftist politicians has made California into a safe haven for immigrants, who have taken over many communities in the previously conservative Southern California region.

“But the results [of November’s midterms] reflected what has been a nearly 40-year rise in the number of immigrants, nonwhite residents and college graduates that has transformed this iconic American suburb into a Democratic outpost, highlighted in a Times analysis of demographic data going back to 1980 – the year Ronald Reagan was elected president,” Nagourney and Gebeloff continued. “The ideological shift signaled by the most recent election results – on the heels of Hillary Clinton beating Donald J. Trump here in 2016 – is viewed by leaders in both parties as a warning sign for national Republicans, as suburban communities like this one loom as central battle grounds in the 2020 elections and beyond.”

Blue avalanche

The sharp demographic shift that has taken place in the county that is the home to Disneyland is the result of an immigration explosion that drastically changed the area – especially in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

“There was a steady decrease in white voters in the seven congressional districts that are in and around Orange County between 1980 and 2017, according to census data,” Breitbart News divulged. “In 1980, whites made up 75 percent of the population in the district … by 2017, that number dropped to 30 percent.”

And the number of immigrants in Orange County is expected to continue to grow with immigrants’ far-greater birth rates in the region.

“The county’s immigrant population grew five times as fast as the general population between 1980 and 2000, and while the pace of immigration has slowed, the Latino and Asian populations continues to increase – driven by the children of immigrant families born in the United States,” Breitbart’s John Binder noted.

It was pointed out by Marcia Godwin – a public administration professor at the University of La Verne in Los Angeles – that the registration advantage in Orange County once claimed by Republicans has considerably narrowed over the past few decades.

“You went from a solid Republican county to one in which Republicans were just barely the majority, and it fell pretty quickly in the past two years,” Godwin asserted. “You have had continued demographic changes. This is a county that went from majority-white to having a majority that are Latino and Asian-American. So, that has gone hand-in-hand – particularly with the rising Asian-American population – to voting more Democratic.”

Numbers at the polls are accurate indicators that Orange County is no longer the place it used to be, due to immigration.

“By every measure, this is a far different place than it was in the 1980s,” Nagourney and Gebeloff asserted. “The population of Orange County has grown from 1.9 million in 1980 to nearly 3.2 million in 2017; it is the third largest county in the nation’s most populous state.”

The flood of population increases for two ethnic groups has literally turned the political landscape in Orange County upside-down – as witnessed at the polls.

“In the 48th Congressional District – which voted out Representative Dana Rohrabacher, a fixture of Orange County Republican politics for nearly 30 years – the Latino population jumped to 145,585 in 2017 from 38,803 in 1980, or 8 percent, accounting for 21 percent of the district’s population,” the Times recounted. “In another corner of Orange County – where Representative Mimi Walters, a Republican, was upset by Katie Porter, her Democratic challenger – the Asian-American population jumped from 14,528 in 1980, or 4.4 percent, to 175,540 in 2017, making up just under a quarter of the total population.”

With the immigrant takeover in many Orange County communities, Democrats – such as Gil Cisneros, who stole a House seat formerly held by Ed Royce (R-Calif.) – are now winning handily at the polls.

“Because it’s becoming more diverse, it’s becoming more Democratic, because the Democratic Party is more inclusive,” Cisneros claimed, according to the Times. “This is no fluke at all. It’s been this way for a long time, and it’s going to continue to trend this way for a long time.”

America’s political landscape changing?

This trend is not only evidenced in Orange County, as it has been contended that there are now “two Americas.”

“Republican districts have far fewer immigrants,” Axios.com informed last year.

It is contended that immigration policy is mostly responsible for ethnic communities voting Democrat.

“House seats held by Republicans generally have significantly lower foreign-born populations than those held by Democrats – a likely indication of why the two parties are so far apart on immigration – especially in the lower chamber,” Axios’ Caitlin Owens and Chris Canipe explained at the time.

With Dreamers, amnesty and deportation being hotly debated last year, a large proportion of America’s ethnic minorities have put their trust in the Democratic Party’s open borders pro-immigration stance.

“The clock [was] ticking [last year] on protections for immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, and Congress [was pressed to come up with] a solution,” Owens and Canipe stressed. “It’s obviously members’ job to reflect the interests of their constituents. [so] when the majority of a district’s voters don’t have any skin in the game, meeting in the middle can be tough.”

Newest Ann Coulter Letter: “Please, No More ‘Border Security'”

Commentary by Ann Coulter | Posted: Jan 02, 2019 4:19 PM

Please, No More ‘Border Security’

The media are trying to convince Trump that if he abandons the wall, he’ll be a statesman, so that as soon as he folds, they can start making fun of him as an untrustworthy liar.

Everyone knows that we can never have a secure border without an impermeable barrier — something like a wall — across all of it. The Democrats know it, the voters know it, and the millions of illegals hurtling toward our border like cannonballs know it.

The Democrats’ latest idea is to call a wall “immoral, ineffective and expensive.”

If they think a wall is “immoral,” then they’re admitting it’s effective. An ineffective wall would merely be a place for illegals to stop and get a little shade before continuing their march into the United States.

Democrats’ backup argument is to cite — every four minutes on MSNBC — Trump’s claim that Mexico would pay for the wall. We’re all baffled by Trump not having already taxed remittances to Mexico to pay for the wall (100 percent within the president’s authority under various banking regulations), but if we’re going to start listing the promises Trump hasn’t kept, this is going to be a long column.

In point of fact, however, he never said Mexico would pre-pay. We can tax remittances anytime.

To keep the Third World masses flowing across our un-walled border, the media are demanding that Trump agree to nonspecific “border security.” It’s like ordering a Starbucks and instead of getting a coffee, you’re told to have more “pep.” Now move along. Here’s your change.

Would liberals accept such airy statements of intent in lieu of clear legal commands for any of the things they care about? (Not to be confused with “our country,” which they do not care about.)

Instead of EPA emissions standards, with specific parts per million of pollutants allowed into lakes and rivers, how about a law promoting “enhanced appreciation of God’s bounty”? Emissions standards are immoral and ineffective!

Nearly every Republican presidential candidate tried to con voters with these meaningless catchphrases about “border security.”  Here are The Des Moines Register’s summaries of some of the candidates’ positions on immigration a few weeks before the 2016 Iowa caucus:

Jeb Bush: “has called for enhanced border security.”

Marco Rubio: “proposes … improved security on the border.”

John Kasich: “believes border security should be strengthened.”

Chris Christie: “urges … using technology to improve border surveillance …”

Rand Paul: “would secure the border immediately.”

Carly Fiorina: “would secure the border, which she says requires only money and manpower.”

They all lost.

The guy who won: “Trump has said many illegal immigrants are rapists and are bringing drugs and crime to the United States. He has called for building a wall along the southern border, and has said he would make Mexico pay for it. He said he would immediately terminate President Barack Obama’s ‘illegal executive order on immigration.'”

Trump got more votes than any other Republican in the history of presidential primaries. No one was falling for “border security” then, and they aren’t now. But instead of doing what he said and building a wall, Trump has hired people who don’t even grasp that the point is to make it unattractive to break into our country.

On ABC’s “This Week” last Sunday, Trump’s head of Customs and Border Protection, Kevin McAleenan, announced plans to give illegal alien kids free medical care at the border: “What we’ve done immediately, (Homeland Security) Secretary (Kirstjen) Nielsen and I have directed that we do medical checks of children 17 and under as they come into our process.”

Apparently, our working class is rolling in so much free health care that now our country is diverting medical resources to treat other countries’ sick kids.

McAleenan boasted that we — that’s you, taxpayer — will be providing “doctors, physician assistants, paramedics to do an initial intake check so that we know if a child is healthy as they arrive at the border and then make sure they can get medical care if they need it.”

Luckily, this won’t hurt any Americans because the doctors they’re sending to the border are not currently treating any U.S. citizens. Oh wait! This just in: They will be taken away from sick Americans!

(Possible 2020 Trump campaign bumper sticker: I voted for a wall and all I got was free checkups for illegals.

Doctors aren’t like the Petroleum Reserve. We don’t keep them cryogenically frozen, waiting to be unfrozen so they can treat illegals demanding free medical care as the price of hating us. If we rush doctors to the border, they are being rushed away from Americans who need medical care.

How about Democrats compile a list, by name, of the Americans they would like not to see their doctors anymore?

As a result of this boundless compassion for anyone who is not an American, how many more sick kids are going be dragged by their parents across hundreds of miles of desert just to see an American doctor?

Mexican cartel member to poverty-stricken Latin American:

Before setting off on this caravan, I want you to know that when you get to the border your kids will be held up for a medical check. And if they find anything wrong, your child will be given First World medical treatment. Also, you won’t be allowed to pay. I just want you to understand what you’re getting into before you join this caravan.

And when those kids die, Secretary Nielsen can demand more free medical care for illegals breaking into our country. Instead of having a wall, we’ll have a series of interlocking charity hospitals on the border treating the poor of the world before crossing into a country that didn’t ask for them and doesn’t want them.

Sorry, America. You lose again.
